Speaker 1 (00:23):
The way tire buying should be one game in the books.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Already today Jacksonville taking care of Atlanta in London by
a score of twenty three to seven. Nine games about
to kick off Dolphins at the Bills, Broncos at the Bears,
Ravens at the Browns, Bengals at the Titans, Rams at
the Colts, Buccaneers at the Saints, Commanders at the Eagles,
Vikings at the Panthers, and Steelers at the Texans.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
So rich, here we are another loaded day.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
By the way, my first observation before we kick things
off today is this, Only in the NFL could you
have a team lose by fifty points, become the first
team ever to give up seventy points and seven hundred
total yards in.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
A game and be favored on the road the very.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Next week as the Denver bron Goes are only telling
you just how bad the Bears are. But think about
that fifty points, you give up seventy over seven hundred yards,
you're on the road the following week, and you are favored.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
I woke up to some of these betting lines and
spreads and I was as shocked as you are. You know,
the NFL this year also, it doesn't feel like there
are any elite teams. It feels like outside of maybe
maybe the San Francisco forty nine ers, I mean, what
team really feels like they're matching that pace?

Speaker 1 (01:42):
I mean the Dolphins.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Don't get me wrong, I'm not gonna turn my nose
up out of three and nothing record, but can we
trust it? You know, to his health is a huge concern.
You look at the AFC in general. The Chiefs had
an early stumble. The Jacksonville Jaguars are two and two
after the win this weekend over the Falcons. The Chargers
were supposed to be something They've fallen to one and
two on the season. There's a lot of turmoil early

(02:04):
on in the season on that conference side. The Philadelphia
Eagles are undefeated. On the NFC side, I mentioned the
forty nine ers, but the Philadelphia Eagles have been playing
like ste plus B minus football and they're getting these wins.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
So what a wide open race.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
It still is at the top of these conferences where
we thought there would be so much separation between some
of these teams.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
It's a dogfight the whole way, all right.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
A couple of notes here. Deshaun Watson out for the
Browns as they're hosting the Ravens today. Of course, Ravens
then all of a sudden, are favorite in this matchup
on the road against a Cleveland team that looked really
good last week. Their defense has been outstanding. But no
Deshaun Watson today. You know, getting back to the dog
game of the day. When you have a winless Broncos

(02:47):
team to win against a winless Bears team, it really
illustrates how bad the Bears are, you know, and I've
been saying this again. I watched Caleble yesterday. What a
weird game that was, all right? That Colorado game. The
second half, second half was I mean, the USC was
a three touchdown favorite. They are up thirty four to seven,
forty one to fourteen. They hang on forty eight to

(03:07):
forty one. But you know, you're reminded again just how
good Kleb Williams is. Six touchdown passes over four hundred yards.
You know we've been talking about speculating, well, if Arizona
has the number one pick, well he passed. How about
the Bears? How would you like to see the Bears
at the top of the list. You talk about a
graveyard for quarterbacks? Is that a place you'd want to
go if you're Caleb Williams.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
I mean, it hasn't been since the eighties since the
Bears have have had a consistent Pro bowler at quarterback.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Well, actually McMahon was hurt half the time. I mean
at the peak, he's really good. I mean you have
to go back to sid luckman. Okay, I mean they
really that is. I mean Arizona's been bad, but as
far as quarterback situation, no team has been worse than
the Bears.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Oh and also, if you think about it, the perfect
example of how college football is changing right under our
noses is that game. In a microcosm, Caleb Williams, shardor Sanders.
You know, Dad wants should to come back to school
at Colorado. He's gonna do anything in his power to
get him as much nil money as as humanly possible
to keep him with the Buffs. And Caleb Williams same

(04:10):
thing with Lincoln Riley. If you don't think he can
be a millionaire making ten or north of ten million
dollars next season if he returns to USC after potentially
winning back to back Heisman's, you're crazy because guess what
he matters to that university, to the tune of hundreds
of millions of dollars in alumni donations and all the

(04:34):
rest that comes into it, with the trappings of success
at the college football level. That's big business, baby, And
these players are finally starting to get some paychecks. And
I could see a situation where Caleb Williams says, you
know what, I'm just fine at USC. Sorry, I'm gonna
sit this draft out. Oh again, I'm with you. I

(04:54):
was talking yesterday.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Jeff Schwartz was with me yesterday and I threw it
at him and he seemed to say, nah, I mean
he's still come into the NFL.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Like, I'm not so sure about me neither, dude.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
If the Bears are sitting at that number one pick,
do I really want any part of that? So the
Bears and Broncos just underway. All right, So last week, Rich,
you had this insane game between the Dolphins and the Broncos,
historic game, and you know, we overreact every week. This
is just what we do, okay, but the overreactions on
both sides of that. So when you had a full
time to digest what just happened a seventy to twenty game,

(05:27):
which there takeaway that there was more to read into
it Miami did that day or what Denver did that day.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
It's more about what Denver didn't do. Actually, So the
Miami Dolphins, they're not that good. The Denver Broncos quit
on some of those plays. I mean, I've never seen
it quite as bad as that. But there were times
where guys looked like turnstiles instead of tacklers. You had
situations where guys just flailed an armed just so that
it showed a little bit of effort on film for

(05:56):
their position coach, so they didn't get absolutely humiliated in
front of the team, but guys weren't even trying defensively
against this offense. I mean, it goes to show you
what happened down the stretch. When Mike White goes in
the game and has more Fantasy points than half the
league's starters. It was ridiculous. Denver, the whole team should
be ashamed of that effort from the coaching staff to

(06:18):
every single play on that roster. So I really do
feel like it was more about what Denver didn't do
and less about what Miami did. However, focusing on the Dolphins,
that is a high tuned, high powered offensive, onslought that
they've got budding in South Beach that they should be
taken very seriously as an AFC Super Bowl team. Now,

(06:41):
I mean, we could potentially see them square off against
the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, and I would
love it because that would just be I mean, pop
your popcorn. The storylines would be abundant, all right.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
So the Bills on their opening drive, opening drive of
the game at home against the Dolphins, and they have
already marched into the red zone. They have a first
hand of the Miami eighteen yard line. Also, the Titans
and Bengals, we're keeping an eye on this. Bengals have
a second and goal right now at the Tennessee six
yard line on their opening drive, and there's a touchdown

(07:12):
for Buffalo.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Yeah, Gabe Davis on a streak down the sideline, and
I mean that was a perfectly placed ball by Josh Allen.
What a pass, what a catch, what a drive to
open this game at home in front of your fan base.
You want to get the crowd involved. That's what you
got to do against this Miami Dolphins offense. I mean,
your best defense in some cases is a great offense.

(07:35):
The Bills obviously tearing that page out of the playbook.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
And meanwhile incomplete at the goal line for Joe Burrow
right now. So the Bengals trying to get on the
board first. This Tennessee Titans team, and we both have
a lot of respect for Mike Vrabel. They've lost nine
of the last ten games. They lost seven to row
to end last season. Granted Ryan Tannehill was out. He's
back this year.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Looking awful.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Last week they got worked by the Browns twenty seven
to three, one and two, but one and nine good
in their last ten games. What's happening in Tennessee, well
a lot.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
First of all, we're seeing what happens when Derrick Henry
can't be the motor of that offense anymore. He's starting
to hit that ledge that a lot of players hit.
You know, we talk about it so much at quarterbacks.
You know, the cliff they fall off really quick. I'll
finish that thought. Nope, timeout in this Bengals game.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Hold on, we have a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
The Rams have scored first on the road against the
Indianapolis Colts. Karen Williams with the touchdown run Rams. You
know this Rams team that I predicted would be right
there in the running for worst team in the NFL.
Stafford has played well for.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
The team so far.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
I know they're sitting at one and two, but the
Rams jumping on the Colts early in this game. So
the Rams not nearly as bad as some people thought
they were gonna go.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
And they started the game with this long drive. They
marched the field on the Colts. They punch it in
for the touchdown. So excellent job by Sean McVay keeping
the team on track. Even though Les Sneid, the general manager,
felt compelled to send out a letter to all of
his season ticket holders in the preseason saying, hey, hang
on sight and may be a bumpy ride this year. Well,

(09:11):
the Rams at one and two are one of the
scariest teams to face in the NFL. Right now, nobody
wants to face LA. We have the Bengals at the
goal line, third and six, third and goal opportunity from
the six yard line. Burrow walking up to the line
of scrimmage. He's shouting things to his offensive line. It
must be just loud there in Nashville.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Yeah, right now. And the Bengals on this third and
five situation, we'll keep it here. They run the ball
up the middle and that's going to be short down
about the two yard line. Meanwhile, the Vikings on the
road against Panthers opening drive. They have a third and
goal at the Carolina five yard line. Commanders opening drive
on the road against the Eagles ball. I don't know
what's going on here at third and six at the

(09:49):
Philadelphia ten yard line.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
I also don't know what's going on in Carolina because
it looks like the Panthers just scored a touchdown.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
Oh it was a pick pick, yeah, kerk Wow throws
it by the way, they were in the low red
zone and Kirk Cousins threw it out to the sideline
and it gets picked and taken at least ninety yards,
if not more.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
Because I might have gotten picked off in the end zone,
but he had a third and goal at the five
yard line.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Wow, So the ball gods are really working it against
the Panthers. So that officially is a ninety nine yard
interception returned by Franklin for Carolina. Panthers are on the
board first. Meanwhile, the Texans on a c J. Stroud
five yard run or on the board first on the

(10:35):
at home against the against the Steelers.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
Yeah, here it is right here. He drops back.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
It was a pass the whole way, but he didn't
see anything open in the end zone, so he takes
it himself, stretches the ball out, gets in for six
for the Houston Texans, who are hosting the Steelers. Like
you mentioned in McPherson just popped through the field goal.
So the Bengals on the board first against the Tennessee
Titans a lead three to nothing.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
He talked last week about which rookie quarterbacks look the best. Well,
last week, after the Texans blowout win on the road
against Jacksonville, CJ. Strau with the injury to Anthony Richardson
jumps to the top of the list. And now he's
got the Texans on the board first at home against
the Steelers. All right, we got a lot of action
early on today, which is the way we love it.
For all the scores, for all the stats, for everything

Fakes the swing pass now looks to the right side
complete to Davis for the touchdown.

Speaker 7 (12:22):
An eighteen yard laser from Josh Allen to Kabe Davis and.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
The Bills are on the board and the crowd is
into it early.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
That's wg R five fifty Bills Radio Network. Bills taking
an early seven to nothing lead against the Dolphins, but
the Dolphins have answered back on a touchdown run by
a Chane e Chane. Yeah, that guy's got five touchdowns
over the last couple of weeks. Once again, this is
Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We are live from the

(12:53):
tire rack dot Com studios, rich This game looks like
an early, you know, back and forth between the Dolphins
and Bills. I don't know what the over under was,
but it looks like both these defenses are going to
be really tested against these offenses.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
Yeah, full disclosure. My thought process is the Bills are
going to capitalize on the blueprint that the Patriots gave
them to slow down this Miami Dolphins offense. Because remember
when the Patriots face the Dolphins, Waddle was healthy. They
shut down Tyreek Hill. Now he scored a touchdown, but
they held him to about forty receiving yards and they
had to play a little bit left handed, because you

(13:30):
know what the Dolphins want to do. They want to
get the football into Number ten's hand as much as possible.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
So we'll see if they can do that.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
If they can shut down one of the best playmakers
in the league right now, they've got a shot at
getting an upset win at home.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
All right.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
The Broncos, coming off that embarrassment against the Dolphins, get
on the board first against the hapless Bears seven to nothing.
Broncos a Russell Wilson to Jalil McLoughlin touchdown eighteen yards.
Russell Wilson on that opening drive six to seven, fifty
nine yards and a score. By the way, his passer
rating is at one hundred. I mean, you can look
at that zero to three record, But the idea that

(14:07):
you know, Russell Wilson's been awful or escapegoat that is
not the problem for Denver, obviously. It's that embarrassment of
a defense that apparently was told do not tackle anybody
in that game against the Dolphins. By the way, Justin
Fields is off and running three for three to start
his game against that SIV Denver's defense. So I don't
know maybe this is going to be an equal shootout

(14:29):
between two teams that have two of the worst defenses
in the NFL.

Speaker 8 (14:33):
We also got a touchdown in Houston. Houston's on the
board early against the Steelers.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
CJ.

Speaker 8 (14:38):
Stroud to Nico Collins here as they're rolling up the ketchup.

Speaker 4 (14:41):
Unis they took away that? They took away that rushing touchdown.
I guess they said he was shortsk CJ said, I'll
just throw it to Nico Collins.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Okay, so that's still a Townsword Texans up on the
Steelers seven to nothing.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
Earth Way, that does hurt some because after his first
three games, a lot of people picked up CJ. Stroud
on the waiver wire on their fantasy foot ball team.
And so you get an early rushing touchdown, You're like, hey,
we got like three and a half quarters left here
in this Houston game. I'm gonna have a whole boltload
of points. Now you do get for the passing touchdown,
but not quite as many.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
All right.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
We got to ask bo, a resident Eagle fan, what
happened there on that opening Commanders get a walk in touchdown?

Speaker 9 (15:17):
This just happens, man, What do you means happens he
didn't show up today home game against Commanders are a
two to one team. They're not gonna put right here.
This is the Eagles. This has been the Eagles all
season long. This this team. They've been slow starters, they've
been halftime adjusters. They've been playing like legit C plus
B minus football and frankly, Jalen Hurts doesn't look quite

(15:39):
all the way back from last season yet little Russ
to knock off from the offseason and they're still three
and oh like, it's just the Eagles. If they click
it into gear and this defense really starts humming the
way that we know some of the talented players can play,
especially if they collaborate, and then obviously Jalen Hurts gets
back on track, this is gonna be the most dangerous

(16:01):
team in the NFC.

Speaker 3 (16:02):
You can mark my words there. Ooh deep sack taken
by Ryan Tannehill by the Bengals, who lead by three
on the road, brings up fourth down. They're gonna have
to punt.

Speaker 4 (16:10):
We also have a Dtr throwing his first NFL interception
in this Ravens Browns game.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
Well, Dtr mister ucla quarterbacking for the Browns today as
no score early on in that game. Deshaun Watson out
for the Browns today taking on the Ravens. How does
Ryan Tannehill still have a job.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
Well, in mean it means that they don't have enough
depth behind him to trust anybody yet. Elik Willis, who
they drafted a year ago, they don't trust him. Will
Levis not ready yet. I mean, yeah, they're not gonna
give up on Ryan Tannehill. Big, big, long kick was
that Nick Folk of the Titans just knocked it through?

(16:51):
Ties up the game in Nashville. It's three three Bengals Titans.
How about this? The Bills have the ball back seven
to seven against the Dolphins. Looks like a shootout game.
First down at the Buffalo thirty seven yard line and
Josh Allen calls a timeout on first down.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
Interesting strategy. Let's se four minutes ago in the first
quarter on a first and ten from your own thirty
seven yard line, Josh Allen calls a timeout. Ok, yeah,
that interesting time.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Well, you know what, blame Ken Dorsey. I mean, you've
got to have the play ready. You can't do that.
You can't come out on the first play from scrimmage
and called timeout does not make any sense.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
It absolutely does not.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
By the way, the Bears are facing a fourth and one,
they're in Bronco's territory. Look, if you if you're the
Bears right now with Justin Fields, what do you have
to lose?

Speaker 1 (17:46):
Right?

Speaker 2 (17:47):
I mean seriously, I mean you're looking for something to
spark an organization that hasn't won a game and oh,
I don't know forever.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
And if you think it's bad in Denver, just listen
to some of the media coming out of that locker
room in Chicago. So Justin Fields a week ago before
their last game, he says that he doesn't feel like
he's playing loose enough, he's being overcoached. He then walked
back those statements, and Matt Eberflu's head coach of the
Chicago Bears, said, Hey, look, nobody's a better teammate than

(18:19):
Justin Fields. He's not a complainer. We completely understand what
he was talking about. We do need to help him
play more like himself. And then all of a sudden,
Chase Claypool was asked straight up at his locker do
you think you're being used a correct way in this offense?
And he's sort of hems and Hawes. He could see
he's bouncing around the thought of answering honestly in his head,
and he just goes, no, I'm not so. The Bears

(18:43):
have now had two offensive players who are supposed to
be impact players on this especially justin fields, talking openly
about how they're not being used correctly or not being
coached correctly in Chicago. It is an unmitigated mess for
the Chicago Bears, all right.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
So after that Dorian Thompson Robinson interception thrown by the Browns,
Lamar Jackson next play, ten yard touchdown run. So the
Ravens on the board first, leading the Browns on the
road by a score of seven nothing. It's tough for
the Browns. You know, you get up to a good
start coming off a huge win. Now, Deshaun Watson looked
so good last week, really in control. Their defense has

(19:23):
been absolutely stifling. Two in one, undefeated at home, big
game against the Ravens in the division.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
I know, Deshaun Watson.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
I hope you took the under on this one after
you saw the news that Deshaun was going to be out.
But also just look at the way these two teams
are playing offensively, for the Baltimore Ravens. Injuries have had
an effect, but it hasn't looked like this same dynamic
offense when Lamar Jackson is healthy and the Browns defensively amazing.
Deshaun Watson went healthy, still knocking off some russ So far,

(19:53):
the game's gone like this. Ravens punt, Cleveland punt, Ravens
punt Cleveland interception, short touchdown for Lamar Jackson. There's barely
been any offense all right.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
Anthony Richardson back a quarterback for the Colts, doesn't matter.
Rams are of fourteen nothing now. Kyron Williams his second
touchdown run of the game. Anthony Richardson won for two
seven yards. Matthew Stafford seven for ten, one hundred yards
passing already in this game.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
That's my big surprise.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
I mean, Stafford last year with the injuries just look
like a guy playing out the string. Comes back this
year because he's making over sixty million dollars in salary.
He has looked really good this year and this is
without his number one receiver, Cooper Cup.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
Matthew Stafford is an elite quarterback, yes, if he has
playmakers around him and time to throw the football, you
are going to have a good offensive season so far
has been protected reasonably well so far. The running game,
after moving on from Cam Akers and giving some of
the depth of this running back roster a shot whoa
big rush out of the backfield Latavius Murray for the

(20:59):
Bill gets it down inside the low red zone against
the Miami Dolphins. Buffalo Bills fans ecstatic for that rush.
That was like thirty five plus on the ground. Great
blocking up front from the Bills O line, huge cavern
off the left tackle and he hurtled one man to
get to the sideline for about thirty all.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Right, So the Carolina Panthers, who got that ninety nine
yard pick six from Sam Franklin, are knocking on the
door again. Bryce youngins back a quarterback for the Panthers.
Today they have a first and goal at the three
yard line of the Vikings, and if the Vikings lose
this one ohero and four. By the way, there is
one team that came back from an zero four start

(21:39):
to make the playoffs. I remember well because I was
on the flagship at the time. The nineteen ninety two
Chargers were zero and four had not made the playoffs
in ten years, and they rattled off eleven wins in
the last twelve games to get in the playoffs. The
percentages are low, though, Is that Dan Fouts, Tan Fouts? No,
that was Stan humphreyes Stan Humphrey. Years later, the Chargers

(21:59):
would get to the Super Bowl and of course get
blown out by the forty nine Ers, But that was
a miracle. Bobby Ross first year as the coach of
the Chargers turned things around. But yeah, the Vikings remember
last year eleven and zero one score games. This year
their own three and one score games. So the football
guys are getting back at him. But right now, third
and goal for the Panthers at the Minnesota three.

Speaker 3 (22:19):
Show you how how my brain works. I was thinking, like, okay,
before Philip Rivers, Dan Fouts, he played in the seventies.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
He didn't catch you. He actually got into the mid eighties. Okay,
yeah he was still there when I was urga for
the Raiders. But yeah, you missed over the Stan Humphreys,
the only Chargers quarterback actually to get the team to
a Super Bowl. That's unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
Not Dan Fasts, not Philip Rivers. It was my guy standing.

Speaker 4 (22:43):
Man during all that. We did have a walk in
touchdown for DeAndre Swift in Philadelphia.

Speaker 3 (22:48):
Oh, Court, you chime in, misser, Yeah, I'm kind of
concerned about it's blowing up.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
It's blowing up. Your math though, Rich, we gotta we
got to recalculate the Oh yeah, yeah, I told I
told h I told bo.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
After the Commander's opening score, they were on pace to
score forty two. The Eagles were on pace to score
nothing in this game. And right now it's all even
at seven's in the first quarter. It's gonna be a
very high scoring title at the end of the day.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
Honestly, I do.

Speaker 3 (23:12):
I mean, they're on pace for this game to be
a dead tie.

Speaker 2 (23:16):
Meanwhile, the Bills tied with the Dolphins at seven. They
are inside the ten yard nine. Now inside the five
yard line, they're going to face a third and two
short two there as the Bills trying to get in
the lead again. Bills were slight favorites against the Dolphins,
a team that, of course, everyone anointed at Super Bowl

(23:36):
champions after putting up seventy against the Broncos.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
Although I did look at a parallel here, you know.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
When the Chiefs four years ago broke through and went
won the Super Bowl the first of the two Super
Bowls in the last four years. It had been fifty
years since the Chiefs had won a Super Bowl. Well,
guess what was fifty years ago? The last time the
Dolphins won a Super Bowl the back to back of course,
the undefeated season they won the following year as well. Yeah,
that was when Larry's Zanka was sunk and Bob Greasy

(24:04):
and the no name defense Jim Kick and Mercury Morris.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
But the Bills are playing bullyball, so they are running
the mess out of football right now and going right
into the heart of this Dolphins defense.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
And they are banging, they're pushing in and that looks touchdown.
That's a score.

Speaker 3 (24:20):
Latavious Murray basically has dominated this drive. They give it
to Cook there.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
They have not single touch no, yes, no. The most
signal the Bills are the signaling touchdown down.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
They're just saying, okay, you guys are celebrating. And it
was the first and goal at the one yard line,
so they gave it to him. Hey the Bears, the
Bears have scored a twenty nine yard pass from fields
to more under just stick. It looks like it'll stick,
all right, So they have worded touchdown there for Buffalo,
that is for sure, So Buffalo on the board again.

(24:54):
They take the lead against the Dolphins. But wow, justin
Fields in this game, if that touchdown stands, he's a
perfect six for six sixty three yards. That tells you
how bad the.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
Broncos defense is that that Justin Fields is perfect so far.

Speaker 3 (25:09):
A bucket full of holes right now. They just can't
hold water. That's gonna be a long, hard day in Shytown.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
Can you imagine if that Because you remember last week
two it was sixteen for sixteen in the first half,
what it feels says the same thing against the Broncos
defense today.

Speaker 3 (25:22):
I mean it's highly likely if you watch the tape,
if you watch the game of that Denver effort last
week against the Miami Dolphins, what it screams to you
is nobody wants to be on that field.

Speaker 2 (25:37):
I'm looking up here. We're just rolling along and I'm
looking at Monzi. It's time to find out what's trending
right now?

Speaker 1 (25:44):
Damn right, well, my dear.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
Respect, is Monsey's watching like Monzi? I mean, we are
scoring at a rapid rate so far today, Yes, we are.

Speaker 10 (25:53):
That rushing touchdown from the Bills is still being reviewed.

Speaker 11 (25:58):
Okay, they just it hasn't a fish counted.

Speaker 10 (26:01):
They think his knee was down, so it might not
actually be a touchdown. We've got nine games going on.
But you want to know what's trending. Bo's gonna like this,
Lakers in five, that's what's trending right now. Why because
the Blazers are trading Drew Holiday to the Boston Celtics, and.

Speaker 11 (26:16):
So everybody's like, we don't care. Lakers in five him,
that's what's trending.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Lakers in five, Yes.

Speaker 10 (26:24):
Which is so funny to me. The exchange the Celtics
are sending Robert Williams, Malcolm Brogton, Golden State's twenty twenty
four first round pick, and their own unprotected twenty twenty
nine first round pick.

Speaker 11 (26:36):
But everyone's like, I don't care.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
That's interesting. Drew Holiday is arguably the best defensive garden
in the lee is let's set you right now. Yeah,
but that is a lot to give up for him.

Speaker 10 (26:46):
He's a lot to get. That's what I thought as well. Yes,
I was shocked at how much the Celtics gave up.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
For a thirty three year old Drew Holiday.

Speaker 10 (26:54):
I mean clearly they're thinking that.

Speaker 11 (26:55):
Porzingis is gonna stay healthy and it's gonna make the difference.
But yeah, I thought it was a lot. So let's
get back to the NFL again. Lakers in five is
what's trending right now. Nine games going on.

Speaker 10 (27:06):
They're still figuring out that Bill's touchdown, so it is
still right now technically a tie game against the Dolphins
in Buffalo. Late in the first quarter. The Broncos and
the Bears are tied at seven. Early in the second
the Ravens are beating the Deshaun Watson Liss Browns seven
zero four minutes left in the first quarter. Bengals and
Titans a slow start, three to three. They're about to

(27:27):
start the second quarter. The Rams off to a hot
start against the Colts. It's fourteen zero. Late in the
first quarter. The Saints are playing with Derek Carr and
Alvin Kamara, who hasn't been suspended his first game back.

Speaker 11 (27:39):
He's got two carries nine yards.

Speaker 10 (27:41):
The Saints are up three zero against the Buccaneers late
in the first quarter. Commanders and Eagles tied at seven
early in the second and the Panthers have added some
more points of field goals so they are beating the
Vikings ten zero early in the second Vikings oh and
three to start the season, Panthers oh and three. One
team is going to be oh to four by the
end of this one. And the Texans are beating the

(28:01):
Steelers seven zero about three minutes to go in the
first quarter.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
Busy day, Lakers in five five.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
By the way, you have any update on Taylor Swift
and she's.

Speaker 11 (28:16):
Going to be there, She's going to be there. Apparently
they had dinner yesterday in Manhattan.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
It was an all girls party t Swift.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
It was Mahomes.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
Yes, Blake Lively attended.

Speaker 3 (28:28):
Yes, I mean the gals got together and they talked
about their man.

Speaker 11 (28:34):
I would wear a blonde wig and join them if
I could.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
Yeah, it was all blonde.

Speaker 11 (28:37):
Yeah, I would join them, though I think it's not offensive.

Speaker 1 (28:43):
By the way, I'm a little groggy. My son got
in very late last night, one of his unannounced dates. Yeah.

Speaker 11 (28:49):
Wow, living his best life, dude?

Speaker 1 (28:51):
Yeah, how old is he's twenty five?

Speaker 11 (28:56):
Best life?

Speaker 1 (28:58):
If you're going to roll in at four fifteen in
the morning, could you give us a heads up next time?
Thank you very much.

Speaker 11 (29:03):
Going a son under the bus on air.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
I am doing it right now because I'm trying to
get some sleep. By the way, we do have a
Browns field goal, so they settle for field goal. They're
on the board, trailing the Ravens by a score of
seven to three.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
This again is.

game against the Broncos, and that Bills have scored. So

(29:37):
it's fourteen to seven now, the Bills leading the Dolphins.
By the way, the Bills, after looking not great in
their opening game, last couple of games, we're starting to
see Josh Allen get his rhythm and we're seeing it
again today against Miami.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
Well, they took care.

Speaker 3 (29:52):
Of business against the Washington Commanders, which is a mark
of a good team, right because that could very easily
be one of those games where you're lo can pass
them a little bit because the Dolphins are really good
at AFC. That's a big game at home. But they
took care of business the Commanders. They snuffed them, They
held them to three, and they absolutely dominated on offense.
And that's exactly that's the sort of confidence builder you

(30:15):
want to have. You know, sort of gained some ground
running downhill as you're coming into a home game to
a host of Miami Dolphins who are red hot after
a huge win against Denver. So yeah, they're taking care
of business right now. Josh Allen inarguably one of the
best quarterbacks around when he's playing with confidence. What we
saw in the opener against the Jets is not representative

(30:35):
of who Josh Allen is as a quarterback. He made
some terrible throws, and I mean terrible throws, throwing three
picks to the same guy on defense and then fumbling
the ball once turning it over that led to their
only loss of the season so far.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
Anthony Richardson back for the Colts. He's run for forty
two yards, but he just fumbled and the Rams are
threatening again. Just come to the end of the first quarter.
Rams are already leading by a score of fourteen and nothing.
Matthew Stafford eight of eleven, one hundred and thirty three yards.
Anthony Richardson is two for three eleven yards. Four carries
for forty two yards. The only other guy that even

(31:10):
is listed offensively for the Colts Zach Moss, one carry,
negative one yard. Is this fair for a rookie quarterback
to have to carry the full load of your offense.

Speaker 3 (31:20):
Well, there's two reasons why this is happening, and one
of them is because he's a good enough athlete to
do it. The second reason is because there are some
limitations when you're working with a rookie. They don't have
a full understanding of what NFL defenses are trying to
do to them. Huge pass in this Dolphins game, Tyreek
Hill to Tyreek Hill over the middle.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
He is going to get the two thousand yards barn injury.
Tyreek Hill's not just going to get two thousand yards receiving,
He's going to go way past it.

Speaker 3 (31:45):
So you got the Dolphins on the playfake being able
to exploit some soft coverage from the Bills. Now they're
great pass by too, and they get it on the
Bill side of the field. Well, maybe at their own
forty nine, but it's at midfield right now for the Dolphins,
who train by seven in Buffalo fourteen to seven ball game.
But back to Anthony Richardson. Look, when you're a young quarterback,
you don't understand what defenses are trying to do to you.

(32:08):
You don't have a full scope of the offensive playbook.
So what do you do. If you have a good
offensive coordinator, they script plays that you're comfortable running. In
his case, he's a dual threat quarterback. That's what he
did at Florida. That's what he's doing at the NFL level.
That's why it's working. But you do have to worry
about his health. You need to have him practicing sliding.
You need to have him making business decisions when he's

(32:29):
near the sideline, step out of bounds instead of taking
more contact.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
All right, let's turn the ball right now with another
update on that Commander's Eagles game.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
What just happened there?

Speaker 4 (32:39):
Brian Robinson like fumbled the ball forward and the Commanders
are covered in the end zone. That's pure skill right there.
You can't teach that.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
Okay, Well, that's the Commander's retaking the lead thirteen to seven,
penning the extra point against the Eagles.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
Oho and Joe Burrow, Now does that count as a turnover?
Is this Titans ball he got absolutely smacked.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
I didn't see it was his arms going forward.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
Was he throwing the bar or was that just a
FuMB they're awarding the ball to the titles.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
It might be roughing the passer because the Bengals still
have the ball. They're just showing a highlight from that play.
So I guess they gave Burrow the roughing the passer
call on that one.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
All right, let's take a look again on this. Joe Burrow,
of course, still laboring with that calf injury. I don't
see why that is a that's not a rough Look
at this, hang on, that's a roughing.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
The guy hit his arm.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
I guess they're saying that he went to the head,
but I don't think he actually hit him in the face.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
He hit his arm, that is all. You know what
they called it. They called it defensive pass interference.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
Oh well that's different. Yeah, so there you go.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
Interesting, Well, he got blasted on that play. So the
Bengals still have the ball three to three in this game,
and they're just limited right now because Joe Burrow has
been unable to get that plant leg down to throw
the ball down the field. It's been digging done for
this Bengals offense. He just got sacked again, so that one.

Speaker 3 (34:01):
So Burrow got sacked, fumbled the football. It was recovered
at the Tennessee forty nine. The ruling on the play
was reversed, so Burrow counted as an incomplete pass instead
of a sack fumble. And that's the reason why the
Bengals still have the ball facing a third and seven.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
It looks like, well, he just got sacked, so that's
he's going backwards right now.

Speaker 8 (34:23):
All right, we had a field goal in the Texans
game as well. Pittsburgh still struggling to get anything going on.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
All right, we are going rapid fire here, guys. I
mean we got a lot of scoring going on.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
Around the NF. Pittsburgh by ten points. I'm telling you CJ.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
Stroud could be the name to follow this season as
a top rookie in the National Football League. All right,
much more coming up, Stay with us. This is Fox
Sports Red Zone Radio.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
Single receiver Saint Brown to the left, snap out of
the gun, fields, takes sets. He's gonna wind up bros.
Right side. He's got more. Makes the catch near the pilot.
Is he in bouse? He is touchdown? Touchdown Bears DJ
Moore from Justin Field's twenty nine yards strike.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
That's the Bears radio networking, hold my hold back. The
Bears scored again. Bears are leading. That's how bad the
Broncos are losing to the Bears one by a score
of fourteen to seven. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.
We are live from the ty iraq dot com studios.
You know, listening to Sean Payton try to figure out

(35:33):
what the hell happened giving up a historic you know,
loss seventy to twenty seven hundred plus yards for that
Miami offense. You know, I immediately upon taking the job,
he blamed Nathaniel Hackett for all the mess that was
Denver a year ago. Can you imagine if they lose
on the road to the Bears and go to OZ
and four today, who exactly is going to blame for that?
I mean, is it still Hackett's problem where the Broncos

(35:56):
are right now? Or did the Broncos make a serious
miss handing the keys and complete control of this organization
that's what they handed Sean Payton.

Speaker 3 (36:06):
I was listening to Albert Breer earlier this week on
Fox Sports Radio. He was a guest on one of
the shows, and he said, look, Sean Payton ran a
really tough training camp, and Sean Payton is a really
tough minded coach, and it's a my way or the
highway type situation with Sean Payton. The problem is if
you lose four games in a row and you have
a historic loss on your resume early in your tenure

(36:30):
as a head coach, you're on your way to lose
in a locker room. You're on your way to have
a bunch of players who, by the way, are out
there sacrificing their health to fight for a chance to
go to the postseason, to have success.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
Individually and team wide.

Speaker 3 (36:45):
And you're the one who's put them through all of
this anguish and you know, trust me, I know the way,
and the results aren't there. You'll lose the locker room.
You can't do it, you know, because there's no there's
no inherited trust here. It's not like Bill Belichick, after
decades of success in New England, has a couple of
down years and everybody's going to turn their back on him.

(37:07):
That's that there's no chance because he's built up trust
with an organization. Champagne's brand new. These players don't know them,
and so you're asking a lot of players, especially if
they lose on the road to another equally if not
more awful at times football team in the Chicago Bears.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
You cannot lose to the Bears. I don't care which
team you are, you can't lose to the Bears. Right now,
they're losing fourteen outing, by the way, fourteen to seven.
All right, Miami Buffalo tied fourteen. And when you are here,
some numbers, folks. Josh Allen is nine for nine to
ninety six yards to a tongue of Iolo is nine
for ten, one hundred and twenty six yards. I mean,
these are two quarterbacks.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
I mean, just what.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
It's the eyeball test, and you can see both these
quarterbacks are in their comfort zone. By the way, a
chan you picked them up two touchdowns on the ground
for Miami already in this game. So it's a deep
pass for the Bills. Oh and when I think we
have pass interference again anst Miami.

Speaker 1 (38:01):
Yep, yep.

Speaker 3 (38:02):
It looks like looks like it looks like Diggs was
pushed out of bounds, and so that's gonna be a
big problem point.

Speaker 2 (38:08):
I don't know about that call. I mean, are they
gonna call you know it's a defensive pass. Yeah, it's defensive.
All right, let's watch this one again. I mean the
pass was right there.

Speaker 3 (38:21):
You gotta get your head around. Yeah, I gotta get
your head around. So a lot of contact and the
corner never looked he's just chasing him. I don't know
that's And by the way, good job by Diggs. Because
if there's that much core, that much contact and the
ball is slightly underthrown, take the flop he gave it lebron.

Speaker 2 (38:40):
This is why I believe there have to be two
degrees of pass interference.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
There's a fifteen yard pedal if it's.

Speaker 2 (38:45):
A blatant like you take somebody down, all right, spot
of the foul, But something like that where you know
both the guys are trying to angle for it.

Speaker 1 (38:52):
I get he didn't turn around. That should not be
a forty yard penel.

Speaker 3 (38:56):
Hey, by the way, back to this Dolphins offense and
how dynamic it is. So chan has this unbelievable game
last week against the Denver Broncos, and Mike McDaniel coming
from that Shanahan offense is all about, Hey, we got
to feed the hot hand here so all of a sudden,
Raheem Mostert. He's playing more of a supplemental role to
Devon ah Chan and it's working out of the backfield.

(39:16):
This is the same selfless ball offensively that makes the
San Francisco forty nine ers so dangerous. You have Eli Mitchell,
who's a very capable back, but you have Christian McCaffrey,
so he's going to be your lead back, and Mitchell
is gonna get some runs, sometimes down near the goal line,
sometimes as a mix up. You know you have Ayuk,
you have Deebo Samuel. Neither of them are complaining about

(39:38):
how many catches they have in any given game because
you know they're gonna scheme me up at some point.
So it's it's whoever has the hottest hand, that's where
the ball's going, and it's this selflessness. You need a
special type of quarterback to help manage our locker room.
They have one and two a tongue of by law.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
All right, most one sided games so far Rams on
the road against the Colts, Rams leads seventeen to nothing
first downs, Rams thirteen, Colts two total yards one ninety
four for the Rams, Colts fifty. So Anthony Richardson back
had a costly fumble, but Matthew Stafford has been outstanding
the Rams. Kyen Williams a couple of touchdowns on the

(40:14):
Groundy is forty one yards rushing. So this Rams team
playing well now, and let's give credit for well a court,
a coach doing a pretty good job.

Speaker 3 (40:24):
Yeah, Sean McVay is working with what he has and
he's getting w's all right.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
We got a lot more coming up, ladies and gentlemen.
We got a very busy Sunday going on. For all
the news you need, keep it right here. This is
Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.

Speaker 12 (40:36):
Takes the snap, gets it to Robinson and Robinson has stood.

Speaker 1 (40:40):
Up and fourth into the end zone. Fumble for football.
Let's see is Washington on top of it? They think
they are, and we're waiting for a signal.

Speaker 12 (40:50):
Robinson fumbled it as he got into the end zone.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
That's ninety four WIP Eagles Radio Network. The Eagles are
in a state of sh shock right now as they
trail the Washington Commanders fourteen to seven, six minutes to
go in the first half of that game.

Speaker 1 (41:08):
This is Fox Sports Red Zone Ray Radio.

Speaker 2 (41:10):
We are broadcasting live from the tire rack dot com

an unmatched selection, fast reshipping, free road asser protection. Over

Speaker 3 (41:25):
Okay, okay, we have to talk about this. This Dolphins
Bills game twenty one fourteen. The Bills lead at home
in Buffalo, Tua. Right now is nine of ten, one
twenty six. He hasn't thrown a touchdown yet, no interceptions either.
Devon him with the two rushing touchdown and you pick
him up off the waiver wire. Very happy about that selection.
Josh Allen on the other side, eleven of twelve, one

(41:47):
sixteen through the air, two touchdowns passing so far today.
Latavius Murray off to the races early with a whole
bunch of rushing yards thirty four on the game on
just three carries. Stefan Diggs with a touchdown catch, Gabe
Davis opened the game with a touchdown catch, and you
had the James Cook rush for one yard in the
score twenty one to fourteen.

Speaker 2 (42:07):
They lead at Buffalo, all right, These are the five
offensive possessions of this game. Yeah, Bills eight play seventy
five yards touchdown Dolphins. Seven play seventy seven yards touchdown
Bills ten plays eighty yards touchdown Dolphins, seven play seventy
yards touchdown Bills five play seventy nine yards touchdown.

Speaker 1 (42:25):
The punters aren't getting work.

Speaker 3 (42:27):
The field goal kickers are only kicking extra points and kickoffs.

Speaker 2 (42:30):
Yes, so five possessions between these two teams, all of
them resulting in touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (42:37):
Okay, listen, I completely missed. My evaluation of this game
was the Bills are going to really Sean McDermott defensive
minded head coach, even though he has one of the
more brilliant offenses in the league over the past bunch
of seasons. I thought they were going to take the
page out of the Patriots playbook and really find a
way to suppress the Dolphins. And maybe they're trying to

(42:58):
because if you look at Tyreek Hill two receptions thirty
nine yards, he's had that long of twenty that was
kind of on a little bit of a broken play
where to found him over the middle on the play
action pass under pressure. But I mean it's the Dolphins
right now are an offensive juggernaut.

Speaker 2 (43:15):
Okay, speaking of offensive juggernauts, get this. If you think
last week was about Miami and not Denver, think again.

Speaker 1 (43:23):
Oh boy, happen.

Speaker 2 (43:24):
Bears are leading the Broncos twenty one to seven. We
kidded about this earlier, it could be a reality. Justin
fields in the first half, twelve for twelve, one hundred
and eighty five yards and three touchdowns against this Denver's defense.
So if you were questioning, was it Miami's offense that
great or Denver's defense that bad? Believe me, Denver's defense

(43:45):
is that bad. Russell Wilson. This game is ten for
eleven eighty yards, a touchdown, no picks, but justin fields,
twelve for twelve, one hundred and eighty five yards and
three touchdowns.

Speaker 1 (43:58):
Jesus me, what is going on? What is going on? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (44:03):
I mean okay, So it doesn't get any easier for
the Denver Broncos by the way, after this, so the
Bears on the road, they were like, okay, we need
to get a win. They then host the Jets, they
go to Arrowhead to face the Chiefs, then they host
the Packers. Then guess what, they host the Chiefs and
go to the Bills.

Speaker 2 (44:21):
After that, Well, okay, but let's go back I want
to go back to your experience, David.

Speaker 3 (44:25):
Broncos they may be winless all the way to Week eleven.

Speaker 2 (44:29):
Well, they might be winless this season if they can't
if they're getting blown out by the Bears in the
first half. Believe me, they're capable of going winless this year.
So when you've given up seventy, yeah, and you're going
to the film and everything else, And even Sean Payton
said on Monday after the game, it was worse than
it looked for me during the game. You would think

(44:50):
that you would have some spark like, Okay, we can't
have that happen again.

Speaker 1 (44:55):
Come on, guys, let's get it. Going twelve for twelve
hundred and.

Speaker 2 (44:58):
Eighty five yards, three touchdowns to the lowest rated quarterback
in the league. Justin fields outside of you know, Zach Wilson.
This is beyond embarrassing for the Denver Broncos.

Speaker 1 (45:09):
I mean, it's just so weird. What's happened to the
Denver Broncos.

Speaker 3 (45:13):
Like if you look back at the twenty thirteen twenty
fifteen seasons, like in that range when Peyton came down there,
I mean, arguably some of the best offenses in defenses
we've ever seen in NFL history.

Speaker 2 (45:29):
Well, that Super Bowl, which obviously wasn't Peyton Manning was
all about their defense.

Speaker 1 (45:32):
Von Miller in company wasn't dominate.

Speaker 3 (45:35):
But I mean like Stork And by the way, historic
numbers for Peyton Manning his twenty I believe it was
his twenty.

Speaker 2 (45:42):
Third to the year they got blown out by the
Seahawks and the Super Bowl unbelievable year.

Speaker 3 (45:46):
Now you look at this team here in twenty twenty two,
last year and twenty twenty three, I mean arguably some
of the worst offenses in defenses we've ever seen in
league hits.

Speaker 2 (45:56):
Well, the Walton family paid what was then a record
amount to buy the Broncos. Obviously that's been surpassed by
the Commander's sale.

Speaker 1 (46:02):
Whether they just buy into I don't and then you
sign up Sean Payton, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (46:07):
And and Sean Payton can't get it. He can't get
his team to respond. That's what we're seeing in this
first half. He could not get this team to respond
to getting humiliated by the Dolphins. You get the good
fortune of playing the worst team in the league in Bears,
and you're down twenty one to seven.

Speaker 1 (46:25):
I'm not kidding.

Speaker 3 (46:26):
If this keeps going this way, maybe at some point
in the season you say to Champagne like, hey, Bud,
look you had a hell of a run in New Orleans.
We're gonna give you an opportunity here to maybe resign
with like a quote unquote health condition, so that we
can we can all go our separate ways and this
can part amicably.

Speaker 1 (46:46):
Do we have breaking news? All right? Give me a
breaking news sounder.

Speaker 11 (46:50):
Guys, I want the sounder mons, guys.

Speaker 10 (46:56):
Lots of reports that Bucks show Walter announced that you
will not return as the Mets manager.

Speaker 3 (47:02):
Now, I will say this. You could see it on
his face. He was like, you know, dang it, I'm
just tired of it. I just don't want to do
it anymore. Yeah, you know, we were just talking about this, literally,
just talking about it with Sean Payton. If some at
like week thirteen, week fourteen, the Denver Broncos are winless,
and all of a sudden, he's like, you know, I
got health thing popped up. Gott to be with the family. Okay,

(47:24):
that's what this is. There's no such thing. These guys
are lifers, they're baseball men.

Speaker 1 (47:29):
You're telling me, he's just like, ah, you know what,
I'm gonna call quidn No, no, no, I'll tell you what.
It's good news for the Mets.

Speaker 2 (47:36):
They're gonna win the World Series next year because every
time Buck Showalter leaves a team, immediately they win a
World Series?

Speaker 1 (47:42):
Is that how good? I mean?

Speaker 2 (47:43):
And then and then they go back and they say, well,
you know he sort of put that team together. Yeah,
this goes all the way back to the Yankees in
the mid nineties. He stepped aside, they got rid of him,
and then Joe Torri comes in and they immediately win
a World Series.

Speaker 1 (47:56):
So good news for the Mets fans on that front.

Speaker 3 (47:59):
He wants to concentrate on fishing. He just wants to
take long walks on the beach with the wifey. No,
this is normal stuff. I'm sure this was.

Speaker 1 (48:07):
His decision and his decision alone. This is fine, all right.

Speaker 2 (48:11):
Ravens leading the Browns by a scorer seven to three.
No Deshaun Watson today for the Browns, it's been tough
Drian Thompson Robinson, the rookie out of UCLA nine to
fifteen to fifty four yards and a pick. But right
now the Ravens have a chance to score again five
and a half minutes to go in the first half,
and they are right now at second and goal at
the Cleveland two yard line. Lamar Jackson is playing well today,

(48:36):
six to seven passing sixty seven yards.

Speaker 3 (48:38):
He's also scored on the ground. I'm laughing because sometimes
it's better to be lucky than good. So Ryan Tannehill,
they're putting together a drive against the Cincinnati Bengals. It
was helped by the fact that on a toss sweep wow,
big pass over the middle, Tannhill connects with his receiver there.
So they get down to the thirty yard line of
the Bengals. So they're leading by ten at home hosting

(49:01):
the excuse me, leading by seven at home hosting the
Bengals ten three ball games. But he pitched it out
to Spears. He fumbles in the backfield reversus field. Tannehill
actually stumbled, stood back up and was a lead blocker
for him out the back door, and it was about
a twenty yard gain on the rush, and that helped
set up this this high red zone drive here for

(49:22):
the Tennessee Titans.

Speaker 2 (49:22):
All Right, you're not gonna believe this. Remember I had
the Dolphins Bills. Five possessions between the two teams, five
touchdowns Bills Dolphins go three and out. Wow, and the
Bills have the ball back seven halve minutes to go. Meanwhile,
we've got a touchdown for the Titans.

Speaker 3 (49:38):
Derrick Henry. That's that's the Derek Henry we're used to
see in every single season.

Speaker 1 (49:44):
And it was.

Speaker 3 (49:44):
It was a beautiful rush. And look, that's that's what
they gotta do. If you're gonna get Ryan Tannehill playing
his best football, you need to have Derrick Henry playing
his best football.

Speaker 1 (49:54):
Well, this was a wide open run. I mean he
broke through the line, and well, yes, you made some moves,
but let's make me three tacklers miss. And that's what
number twenty two does. Look that straight arm is just lethal.
He's a man, he is a grown man. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (50:11):
By the way, if you want the greatest old times
straight arm, the great Hall of Famer Earl Campbell. Yeah,
check some eyelights to him way back that he put
that straight arm out. Forget, it's seventeen to three. Now
Titan's leading the Bengals. Remember, the loser of this game
goes to one in three. Things are not looking good
for Cincinnati right now.

Speaker 1 (50:29):
Oh they're not.

Speaker 3 (50:30):
Joe Burrow still doesn't look right. Titans. They're putting it
back together after three weeks of having the run game snuffed.
And so if Derrick Henry and Spears out of this
backfield can split time and have success the way they
are today, that's gonna be huge for their chances in
the AFC South, because I mean, look at the AFC
South right now. You have the Colts who are dealing

(50:51):
with injuries. With Anthony Richardson, he's back, but they've had struggles.
You look at the Jacksonville Jaguars, who we all kind
of had peg does THEFC South winner by a mile.
They're two and two after a win in London this morning.
You look at the Houston Texans, a delightful surprise right now.
They're leading Pittsburgh thirteen to nothing, hosting the Steelers, but

(51:12):
still do we trust them? I mean, this is prime
for the pluckin for the Tennessee Titans and Vrabel, long
term coach there with the Tennessee Titans. He's a heck
of a ball coach. They still love him in Tennessee.

Speaker 2 (51:22):
All Right, Ravens score again, another Lamar Jackson rushing touchdown.
Ravens lead the Browns by a score of fourteen to three.
All right, we're getting close to halftime right now. Nine
games going on around the NFL wildly entertaining. A lot
of scoring going on today. For all the latest, keep
it air. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.

Speaker 1 (51:42):
Lamar for the Shatka takes the handoff run to the
right side. He's got a whole touchdown Ravens, but a
penalty flag is down outside defense Coimber ninety five.

Speaker 13 (51:55):
The penalty has declined. Result played the touchdown. Hey Rock
Ravens Radio Network, Lamar Jackson. Two touchdowns on the ground.
They got the two minute warning there in the first half.
Ravens lead the Browns by a score of fourteen to three.
This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We are live
from the ti iraq dot Com studios.

Speaker 3 (52:15):
And Stefan Diggs just, I mean he was contacted multiple
times running this route. He was contacted while the ball
was in the air and just out muscled this Dolphins
corner for about a fifty yard catch and run for the.

Speaker 2 (52:31):
Score officially fifty five yards on that touchdown. And the
Bills right now looking to tack on the extra point here, Rich,
and it is good twenty eight to fourteen Bills over
the Dolphins.

Speaker 3 (52:44):
So's ninth game with two plus receptions for a touchdown.
Stefan Diggs coming coming awake in this early season for
the Bills, and perfect timing because this looks like it's
going to be a shootout. And as we are down
to two fifty eight and a half, you gotta Miami's
going to try to answer and score another touchdown because
they've done that the majority of their drives.

Speaker 2 (53:05):
However, their last two drives have resulted in punts, so
the Bills have made some adjuftments defensively against this high
powered Dolphins attack. Meanwhile, wow, Derrick Henry is just running
over the Bengals.

Speaker 1 (53:19):
And running and running.

Speaker 3 (53:21):
So we have a minute thirteen left in the half
there in Tennessee, the Tennessee Titans leading the Bengals seventeen
to three, and they are back to form. They're playing
great defense against the struggling Bengals team giving them no life.
And Derrick Henry has just been a monster today.

Speaker 2 (53:35):
All right, speaking of back and form, Josh Allen on
fire today for the Bills, fourteen of sixteen, two hundred
and one yards, three touchdowns, and no picks. That is
a perfect passer rating in one fifty eight point three.
So the Bills taking care of business. You know, a
lot of people are anointing Dolphins Super Bowl champions after
that demolition of the Broncos. Of course, that team, the Broncos,

(53:59):
it's only gotten today and let's see if it actually happened.
All right, I'm just gonna check the numbers here. So
last week in the first half, two a tonguea Viloa
was a perfect sixteen for sixteen against that Broncos defense.
I'm waiting for a little update here. Bears lead the
Broncos twenty one to seven here at the half, and

(54:20):
Justin Fields has two hundred and thirty one yards passing
and three touchdowns in the first half.

Speaker 1 (54:30):
Wow, in the first half.

Speaker 3 (54:33):
All right, let me check on the Denver score real quick. Okay,
they're at halftime mercifully for the bron twenty one seven,
twenty one seven Chicago leading the Denver Broncos. Right now,
Russell Wilson had completed twelve of thirteen passes for just
over eighty yards, averaging about six yards per play.

Speaker 1 (54:51):
Oh wait, Justin Fields had one incomplete.

Speaker 2 (54:53):
So last week two it was sixteen of sixteen at
halftime fields today is sixteen of seventeen. Well, and you
look on two first halfs a consecutive weeks, the quarterbacks
are thirty two out of thirty three passing against your defense.

Speaker 3 (55:05):
Yeah, Justin Field's doing his best too. Impression and speaking
of two, when you look at his whole season so far,
he's averaging over ten yards per reception. Right, every time
he throws the football in it's caught, it's good for
ten yards on average. Plus you look at Russell Wilson,
it's just over seven.

Speaker 1 (55:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (55:23):
The problem is, I mean, the reason why you throw
the football is to stretch the field. The reason why
you have a well you traded all those picks for
Russell Wilson is to give a deep threat and accurate
deep threat aspect of your offense. And still now we're
going on a year and a half of this experiment
in Denver, Russell Wilson just can't force the ball down
the field anymore. I don't know if it's because offensive

(55:45):
line can't protect him. I don't know if it's because
this offense overall is befuddling him. Last year's Nathaniel Hackett offense,
this year's Champagne offense. But something's not clicking in with
Russell Wilson in Denver. It just doesn't look right, even
if the the stats have improved, He's not pushing the
ball downfield.

Speaker 1 (56:03):
All right, Tampa and the Saints.

Speaker 2 (56:06):
So Derek Carr back a quarterback for the Saints, Alvin
Kamara making his season debut for the Saints, and it's
all Buccaneers. Baker Mayfield eighteen of twenty three, two touchdown
passes in the first.

Speaker 1 (56:18):
Half, all out.

Speaker 3 (56:19):
This might be a Bills football with two minutes left
in the half, the officials, So the Miami Dolphins just
try to go to that little toss sweep that they
did a couple of times last week against the Denver Broncos,
one of them for a score for devon ah Chain
and it is Buffalo ball on the Miami side of
the field. Unbelievable. The Bills are, I mean, they've cracked

(56:43):
the code on Miami right now.

Speaker 2 (56:44):
Yeah, that's three streight possessions where the Dolphins get no points.
So getting back to the Buccaneers lead the Saints on
the road fourteen to three, nineteen seconds go in the half.
And how about Baker Mayfield. I mean, this is a
game two two to one teams, the winners started. It
takes control in that division. And right now it's Tampa
really out playing the Saints in New Orleans today. But

(57:06):
despite Kamara coming back, despite Derek Carr back for the Saints,
Baker Mayfield doing the job two touchdown passes.

Speaker 3 (57:14):
I have some faith in the Saints defense, halftime adjustments,
coming back. They may have some things figured out. The
Saints are a good football team that nobody's talking about.
Like you said, two to one win over the Titans,
close game, hosting the Titans in Week one, a close
game on the road at Carolina two weeks ago, a

(57:35):
loss to the Green Bay Packers, where you know it
was a little bit of survival for the Packers. But
that defense over these past couple of games, they don't
let you score more than three times. So if you're
gonna beat them, you better beat them by limiting their offense.

Speaker 2 (57:50):
In Derek Carr Eagles, Eagles looking for some answers, BO
back to you. You're losing you you you The Eagles
seventeen to seven, Commanders twenty seconds to go in the
first half, Eagles have the ball in Commander's territory.

Speaker 1 (58:04):
What's going on there?

Speaker 5 (58:05):
Bo?

Speaker 4 (58:05):
Well, as I mentioned to you, they tried the brotherly
shove earlier in the game and they called the off sides,
So then they lined up to do it again and
Jalen Hurts like took it out and ran outside to
pick up the first down. So that'll be an interesting
new wrinkle.

Speaker 1 (58:21):
You know, it happens, man, Okay, it was not supposed
to happen to a team that at the end of
last year thought was the best team in the NFL.
They just came up short against the Chiefs in the
Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (58:32):
I love our dissertation from bow was believe you know,
I just want to talk to you about the Eagles
on short yardage.

Speaker 4 (58:38):
Yeah, I mean, that's what they do.

Speaker 1 (58:40):
Man.

Speaker 2 (58:41):
Meanwhile, it's halftime and the Panthers bright young backup quarterback
leading the Vikings. Story of this game was a ninety
nine yard pick six early in this game by Sam
Franklin Junior when it looked like the Vikings are going
to punch it in the end zone. Kirk Cousins ten
of fourteen one hundred yards, but he has thrown two
interceptions in this Madison is great on the ground, he's

(59:02):
got sixty yards. And how about cam Akers who they
picked up three carries for twenty three yards, but two
picks turnovers are killing the Vikings right now. Meanwhile, clean
slate nothing fancy for the Panthers looking for their first
win of the season. So two zero to three teams
trying to keep their faint hopes alive. But it just
seems like the football guys are working against the Vikings,

(59:24):
where at least last year it seemed like they got
every single break for a very unlikely thirteen win regular season.

Speaker 3 (59:31):
Yeah, you're not gonna win too many games when you're
losing the turnover margin like they are in the first half.
Two turnovers for the Vikings so far, and also one
for five third down. If you're bad on third down
and you're not protecting the football, you're gonna lose a
football game. Every single time they've lost this half. We'll
see what happens on the other side of halftime.

Speaker 2 (59:50):
All right, we got the Titans already leading the Bengals
seventeen to three. They have a third and goal at
the Bengal two yard line. Dereck Henry normally doesn't have
huge first hit. Second half is when he gets his
work done. But he's had a huge first half. Ten
carries seventy two yards on the ground, and Ryan Tannehill
has passed for one hundred and eighty yards. Very unlikely.

(01:00:11):
So this game very much in the Titans favor. And
if you're the Bengals right now, and you look at
Joe Burrow's numbers again, nine of seventeen, only seventy seven
yards passing, their longest pass play of this game is
just seventeen yards.

Speaker 1 (01:00:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:00:27):
Again, same thing I was saying about Russell Wilson in
Denver the whole time he's been in Denver this season.
For Joe Burrow can't push the ball downfield. This right
calf is really bothering him. He has no pop, he
can't drive on the football in those short crossing routes,
those timing routes to the sideline. He can't pump the
ball downfield. So this forces the Bengals offense to play
left handed, and if they get behind the chains at all,

(01:00:49):
they have no chance on third down. And that's what
we're seeing today. Titans doing nice job defensively, getting sacks,
tackles for loss they're really pressuring the line of scrimmage.
The Bengals are zero for five on third down today.

Speaker 2 (01:01:03):

Speaker 1 (01:01:17):
Trending right now? Are you keeping pace here, Moncey?

Speaker 11 (01:01:22):
Barely easy, barely keeping face? But ha, I'm so sad
about Joe Burrow.

Speaker 10 (01:01:29):
I mean, rich, remember before the season started, we talked
about Joe Burrow and he was just like I thought
he was going to be fine. I was like, oh,
he's fine. Why would he play if he's not fine?

Speaker 1 (01:01:38):
Monsey? I kick him? Do we the league's MVP? This year?
I had the Bengals winning this the hard to kiss
of death is alive and well I had the.

Speaker 11 (01:01:46):
Bengals winning the Super Bowl as well. I really thought,
even though.

Speaker 10 (01:01:50):
We know that calf injuries, Linger, I just didn't know
it was that fat and maybe he reaggravated it. The
man disappointing just for the Bengals, but the Titans, you know,
are happy about it.

Speaker 11 (01:02:02):
They're beating them twenty four to three.

Speaker 10 (01:02:03):
They're about to head into halftime, as most of these
games are.

Speaker 11 (01:02:07):
Let's talk about the Dolphins and the Bills because it's
kind of been the Bills for the most part.

Speaker 10 (01:02:12):
Twenty eight to fourteen is a score less than two
minutes to go in the game. Josh Allen has thrown
for two hundred and one yards three touchdowns.

Speaker 11 (01:02:19):
Not too shabby the Bears.

Speaker 10 (01:02:21):
Justin Fields, I think he heard you guys talking smack.
I think that's what it was. He was like, did
you hear that at Fox Sports Radio? Yeah, you have
to go prove Rich Hornberger and Steve Hartman wrong.

Speaker 1 (01:02:32):
Okay, that's what it was.

Speaker 3 (01:02:34):
He said a lot of things, yes, And I don't
necessarily want to be held accountable for the.

Speaker 1 (01:02:38):
Things I say, right, No, that's crazy. The problem when
you have if you're not at these games or watching
these games. Everyone's listening to this show.

Speaker 10 (01:02:48):
Exactly exactly, and they heard Justin Field's heard you three
touchdowns already in this game and it's only halftime. Bears
beating the struggling Broncos twenty one to seven. Ravens all
over the Breakuns fourteen to three. They're about to head
into halftime. David Joku, You guys saw that he burned himself.

Speaker 11 (01:03:05):
Did you see how he walked in today?

Speaker 10 (01:03:07):
He looked like he was wearing like a like a
Jason Ski mask, Like he was completely covered.

Speaker 1 (01:03:11):
Fine from the burns.

Speaker 10 (01:03:13):
Apparently it was his face in his hands, Like how
awful is that?

Speaker 11 (01:03:16):
But he's there, He's there.

Speaker 10 (01:03:18):
The Rams still blanking the Colts twenty zero at halftime.
The Buccaneers up on the Saints at halftime fourteen to three.
Mike Evans, though, has a hamstring injury and he's questionable
to return for Tampa Bay. Commanders are beating the Eagles,
who had that in their bingo cards, seventeen zero at halftime.
Vikings and Panthers both the teams zero and three to start.

(01:03:39):
Carolina up thirteen to seven at halftime. I do have
Kirk Cousins in one of my leagues. Let's not talk
about it. Texans beating the Steelers sixteen zero at halftime,
as Houston just hit a field goal to.

Speaker 11 (01:03:50):
Head into halftime.

Speaker 10 (01:03:52):
Oh and in Major League Baseball Buck Show, Walter announced
that he is not going to return as the Mets manager.
And in the NBA, the Blazers are trading Drew Holiday
to the Celtics in exchange for a lot of people
Robert Williams, Malcolm Brockden, Golden State's twenty twenty four first
round pick, and the and their very own unprotected twenty
twenty nine first round pick.

Speaker 11 (01:04:11):
But as I said, Lakers and five still.

Speaker 1 (01:04:13):
Trending, Lakers still training.

Speaker 10 (01:04:17):
It says, Clippers is trending too. I don't even want
to click. I don't even want to know, all.

Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
Right, so just hang on to your Clippers for the
next time. All right, Well, Monzie, thank you very much.
Once again, Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.

Speaker 1 (01:04:26):
I'm going to give you some stats on this Houston
Pittsburgh game. Sixteen nothing, Texans leading the Steelers at halftime,
rich at the half total yards two hundred and seventy
one for Houston, fifty three for Pittsburgh. C J.

Speaker 2 (01:04:43):
Strout is ten of twenty one hundred and seventy nine
yards and a touchdown. Kenny Pickett is nine to fourteen
for thirty five yards and a pick. So Stroud is
looking good. A lot of people thought that Picket was
ready to go next level, you know, Steelers are two
and one, and this is Mike Tomlin.

Speaker 1 (01:05:04):
You keep looking up and even the.

Speaker 2 (01:05:06):
Eyeball tests say the Steelers suck like they're not good,
and yet they find ways to eat out enough wins.
Where again tom has never had a losing season. But
the idea that Kenny Pickett was going to take his
game next level, we haven't seen it yet in twenty
twenty three.

Speaker 3 (01:05:21):
Well, and also I want to look at the other
side of this matchup for a second, at Tamiko Ryans,
who's a rookie, the head coach, who's got his team
playing inspired football on both sides of the ball. I
think Houston is one of the biggest surprises of the
season so far. I mean, what else can be said
other than we would not expect a team that looks

(01:05:41):
so inept on paper. You look at their roster, so
much inexperience, so many unproven talents. You just assume this
is going to be kind of unraveling a basement of
the NFL sort of team, and they were going to
look forward to next April's draft and try to improve
this team. But there's no fear dodging when you visit

(01:06:04):
this team because they are playing some darn hard nos
football defensively, and CJ. Stroud is not only is he
doing special things with the football when it's in his hand,
but he's also protecting the football. The cardinal sin for
young quarterbacks is to beat your team by making mistakes.
He's not making mistakes.

Speaker 2 (01:06:23):
I'm looking at the scores right now. We have nine
games going on, and seven of the nine games have
a double digit lead. Yeah yeah, I mean we're getting
potential blowouts here, including this Bills Dolphins games. Bill's got
a fifty three yard field goal out of Tyler Bass.
So the Bills lead the Dolphins thirty one to fourteen.
Final seconds of the first half going on right now,

(01:06:46):
and the Bills just stopped the Dolphins again. So another
fourth down for the Dolphins. So the Dolphins were just
going up and down the field, as were the Bills.
Bills continued on, but all of a sudden, that Dolphins
offense has stop.

Speaker 3 (01:07:00):
Absolutely their last drives are punt, punt, fumble, and here's
another punt. We've got another punt. So they started out hot,
a touchdown in each of their first two drives, and
then it's just been a desert. They have not been
able to find providence. Since so the Bills with a
commanding lead, I doubt they're gonna be able to do

(01:07:21):
much with this football. With just fifteen seconds left, with
seven seconds left, they'll take a knee, they'll go to intermission.

Speaker 2 (01:07:27):
Here, Well, they're not going to score seventy, but they
could score sixty talking about the Buffalo Bills. But thirty
one to fourteen right now, final seconds, they have expect
the Bills to maybe just run it out here. Meanwhile,
the Ravens did get another score before the half. They're
dominating the Browns twenty one to three. Lamar Jackson two
touchdowns on the ground, one passing touchdown. The Browns are

(01:07:49):
without Deshaun Watson again, the Bills take a knee. So
that is halftime thirty one to fourteen, Bills lead the Dolphins.
Titans just crushing the Bengals twenty four to three at
the half. And the story here, Hey, Derek Henry's had
a nice half, But how about Ryan Tannehill eleven of sixteen,
one hundred and eighty yards passing, And for Joe Burrow

(01:08:11):
and the Bengals offense, there's just no offense. There is none,
There is no seventy seven yards passing for Joe Burrow
at the.

Speaker 3 (01:08:18):
Half, and we talked about it. He can't push the
ball downfield. He's having a hard time really throwing, driving
into throws where he has to throw, you know, something
with a little bit of tempo on it, whether it's
a timing route or crossing pattern that's you know, you
got a closing window over the middle of the field,
and he's a little gun shot, so he's getting sacked more.
You know, he's not trusting himself to deliver the football

(01:08:40):
with confidence, and when that happens, that doubt it leads
to mistakes, and he's making mistakes right now on third down.
They're going an over for the half.

Speaker 2 (01:08:49):
All right, So one game just underway in the second half,
Broncos on the road against the Bears. Bears up twenty
one to seven. They scored twenty one points in the
second quarter alone, just Stonfield sixteen of seventeen, two hundred
and thirty one yards passing, three touchdowns, no picks.

Speaker 1 (01:09:05):
That's a perfect passer rating in the first half.

Speaker 2 (01:09:07):
So the Broncos have the ball first to open the
second at Russell Wilson has not been bad pretty much.
What he's been all season twelve or fourteen, eighty eight
yards and a score. It hasn't been his fall. But
what do you think, Sean Payton said at halftime. I mean,
you walk into a locker room. You're coming off an
embarrassing loss, a historically embarrassing loss of the Dolphins. You
give up twenty one points to the Bears in a quarter,

(01:09:31):
in a quarter.

Speaker 3 (01:09:32):
This is this is one of those situations where you
have to put the accountability on the players. You have
to say, look, you know, you got to look at
yourself in the mirror. Every single one of you, we
as coaches have to do it. You all have to
do it too. Decide what kind of football player you
want to be because you I mean, this film is

(01:09:54):
for everyone. This film isn't just for the Denver Broncos.
Everybody gets to see your effort in the lead all
thirty one other teams. So whether or not the Denver
Broncos retain you as a player, you are every single
time you're on that football field. It's it's a resume item.
It is a job interview to keep your role in

(01:10:14):
the NFL. That's what I would say. I would challenge
these players to say, even if you're not your your
your heart's not into it on this team. Is your
heart into your career? I mean, that's what you're playing for.
You're playing for a job out there. So the Denver Broncos,
the players, they, I mean, they need to take a
good hard look in the mirror and decide for themselves
individually and maybe somehow they'll come together as a team.

(01:10:37):
But they have to decide individually whether or not they
want to still play football, because they look like they
quit in the second half against the Dolphins last week,
and it and it feels like there's a carryover effect
in here in Chicago.

Speaker 2 (01:10:49):
I mean, what kind of odds could you have gotten
about the Bears scoring twenty one quarter?

Speaker 1 (01:10:54):
A lot? I mean, I should say long hours. There's
one of my prop bets.

Speaker 2 (01:10:59):
I want to I want to take the Bears to
score twenty one in the second quarter alone against the Broncos.

Speaker 1 (01:11:03):
But that's exactly what happened.

Speaker 2 (01:11:05):
Meanwhile, another game just underway in the second half, Rams
on the road against the Colts.

Speaker 1 (01:11:10):
This has been all Rams.

Speaker 2 (01:11:12):
Yeah, Colts get the ball first to start the second
half and Anthony Richardson is running for his life. You
talk about a team coming off a hugely disappointing season
last year. They're just one and two on the road
against the two to one Colts team. But Sean McVay
has got this team playing hard. They dominated the first

(01:11:33):
half and it looks like that halftime they are coming
out once again strong. So we'll see if the Colts
can get something going on the first drive. But Richardson
is scrambling.

Speaker 1 (01:11:42):
For his life. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:11:43):
Yeah, he's been sacked twice in this game already. They've
turned over the football the Colts have already in this game.
The Rams are just efficient. They're playing efficiently on offense,
They're getting the job done on third down. They're not there.
I mean, Matthew Stafford one of the more catch.

Speaker 2 (01:12:00):
Aaron Donald on this he is you know, he had
some injuries last year, right, and Aaron Donald is showing
some ferociousness.

Speaker 1 (01:12:07):
All right. Can we get a little breaking news intro
right now? Breaking news from Fox Sports in one of
those days, Montsie, what's happening?

Speaker 10 (01:12:17):
Yeah, this isn't a great news, but Red Sox have
tweeted that their heartbroken because Tim Wakefield has passed away.

Speaker 1 (01:12:25):
Tim Wakefield.

Speaker 11 (01:12:28):
Yes what they tweeted it just six minutes ago.

Speaker 1 (01:12:31):
Do we have any word on how I mean, he's
not very so, I think fifty seven if I don't
think there was a bit of vibe.

Speaker 8 (01:12:39):
There was a bit of a controversy this week. Kurt
Shilling had let made it public that Tim Wakefield had
been battling brain cancer. The family and the organization had
wanted to keep that news private Tim Tim's family wanted
to just deal with it privately. So that had come
out this week, and now we're here on Sunday and
he has passed.

Speaker 1 (01:12:58):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:12:59):
So yeah, Tim Wakefield passes away. Two hundred game winner,
exactly two hundred wins in his career, knuckleball.

Speaker 1 (01:13:08):
Pitcher, nineteen seasons. Yeah, two time World Series champion with
the Red Sox, one of the all time Red Sox favorites,
just fifty seven years of age. Wow.

Speaker 11 (01:13:18):
Yeah, the news I'm looking.

Speaker 10 (01:13:19):
You're right.

Speaker 11 (01:13:20):
Two days ago they broke the news that he had cancer.

Speaker 1 (01:13:24):
Very sad, very sad, very sad, very sad. So an
outstanding pitcher. It's you know, this is a weird. I
remember when Wakefield sort of like hit it early with
the Pirates before you Yes, with Pittsburgh, and I had
a producer This is in the early in his career,
predicting he would do in three hundred games.

Speaker 2 (01:13:41):
I mean he had won like ten, you know. But
you know, these these knuckleballers back in the day, they
could pitch forever. And Phil nkro obviously had alternated. Oh yeah,
because there's no armstring.

Speaker 3 (01:13:51):
Yeah, you're literally putting your fingernails on the shape ball.
You're basically pushing them and your shot putting it at
about seventy five miles per hour.

Speaker 1 (01:14:00):
It's crazy. And the wind, there's no strain on the shoulder,
no strain on the elbow like a normal pitch. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:14:05):
Yeah, the air resistance of the ball kind of it
makes it dance and it makes it impossible for hitters
to lock in on it. And yeah, he had an
incredible career.

Speaker 1 (01:14:15):
He struck out.

Speaker 3 (01:14:16):
I didn't realize how effective this pitch was for him.
He struck out over two thousand batters.

Speaker 1 (01:14:21):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:14:21):
He was one of the top five knuckleball pitchers of
all time, no question about that. All right, we continue on.
We got halftime for a number of games. Second halfs underway.
This is Fox Sports Red Zone radio play.

Speaker 3 (01:14:34):
Action pass as time throws to the left sideline.

Speaker 1 (01:14:37):
Complete the digs, but there's a flag trying to spin
away from the tacklers. That he does thirty.

Speaker 2 (01:14:42):
Five thirty, twenty five, twenty head it to the end zone.

Speaker 1 (01:14:46):
Touchdown, step on digs, can.

Speaker 4 (01:14:50):
You dig it?

Speaker 1 (01:14:51):
Touchdown?

Speaker 3 (01:14:52):
Will stand fifty five.

Speaker 1 (01:14:54):
Yards to pay dirt.

Speaker 2 (01:14:56):
Holy moly, WDR fifty Bills Radio Network and the Bills
really impressive lead the Dolphins thirty one to fourteen at
the half. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio, Steve
Hartman and Rich Ornberger with you. We are live from
the tire Rack dot Com studios, and I got some

(01:15:17):
bad news for the Broncos. The Bears have a second
in goal the Broncos two yard line, already leading this
game by a score of twenty one to seven. Justin
fields now is twenty two of twenty three to two
hundred and eighty three yards and three touchdowns and we
are getting ever so close. So whatever happened at halftime

(01:15:37):
did not happen for the Broncos as a literally awful
Bears team.

Speaker 1 (01:15:44):
I mean awful.

Speaker 2 (01:15:45):
No offense, no defense is running over this Denver team.
I know yesterday, I don't want to call him out.
I mean, you know, Jeff Schwartz is our dear friend.
But I mean.

Speaker 1 (01:15:58):
We're looking at I want I just have to say it.
I mean, you know, because you know, Jeff knows a
lot more than I do. And I said, is there
a game that sort of stands out and goes? Look,
I the Bears are so bad that I got to
take the Broncos even though they're favored on the road.
But right now the Bears stop short on second and goal,

(01:16:20):
trying to put this game away essentially against a Denver
Broncos team. And I again, if this, if this game
goes as it is going and we're inside five minutes
to go in the third quarter, they're motoring right now
because the Bears are running the ball effectively.

Speaker 2 (01:16:34):
I want to hear what Seam Payton has to say. Yeah,
we're going to hear from the organization. I mean, if
you're a Broncos fan, the hell's going on?

Speaker 3 (01:16:42):
And they get in so Chicago again scores that's good
for a touchdown there.

Speaker 1 (01:16:48):
This is Justin Fields scrambling and throwing. Yeah, that is
that's a touchdown for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:16:55):
Fourth touchdown pass of the game for Justin Fields, who's
twenty three of twenty five.

Speaker 3 (01:17:00):
Finds Khalil Herbert in the end zone. Wow, man, I'll
tell you. So they try it twice with Roshawn Johnson
down at the goal line, couldn't pump the ball, and
so they throw it to their other running back and
Justin Fields is having a day, and so is this
Denver defense. In the worst possible way, they just look
out of sorts. I mean, nobody was near on the

(01:17:21):
scrambled drill, nobody was near Herbert. He found a void
in the zone and he was five yards deep in
the end zone for the score. So Denver trailing now
by three scores in Chicago twenty eight seven Bears. Yep, yep,
twenty eight to seven Bears. And again, let me get

(01:17:43):
you the update on Justin Fields.

Speaker 2 (01:17:45):
He is twenty three of twenty four, two hundred and
eighty five yards, four touchdowns in a pick. How many
people do you think are gonna play Justin Fields if
he's on your roster today, Who's playing Justin Fields in
their fantasy?

Speaker 3 (01:18:00):
I will say this, Justin Field's good fantasy quarterback was
last year. A lot of this year, well, a lot
of people drafted him, A lot of people stuck with
him because he's one of those guys who at any
given moment he can get you a ton of yards
on the ground and he can score touchdowns when they
have low red zone opportunities. I'm not saying the Bears
are any good, but in terms of a fantasy football quarterback,

(01:18:21):
he's been productive today though he's going off.

Speaker 2 (01:18:25):
Meanwhile, going off are the Rams. They have completely demolished
the Colts today, twenty three to nothing.

Speaker 1 (01:18:31):
Rams with the lead.

Speaker 2 (01:18:32):
Anthony Richardson is literally a one man offense, and it's
not good enough, not nearly good enough. Four of nine
to forty seven yards passing fifty six yards on the ground. Meanwhile,
Matthew Stafford's thrown for two to eleven, Kyron Williams seventy
six yards under ground and two touchdowns. So the Rams
really looking good today, trying to even their record at

(01:18:53):
two and two.

Speaker 3 (01:18:53):
How about this Cleveland Browns game. So Deshaun Watson doesn't
get the start during Tomson Robinson does, and as a result,
there is just no fight out of this Browns team.
I thought this defense would at least pose more of
a threat, but twenty one to three in Cleveland today,
Baltimore Ravens starting to put back the pieces together. They're

(01:19:15):
two and one football team, but they suffered so many injuries.
They're starting to get some guys back healthy. They're starting
to look a little bit more like themselves. And this
is a big win because you're talking about a division rival.
You're catching them at the right time because their QB
one is down. So the Ravens most likely, if things
continue in the direction they're going, will be a three

(01:19:35):
to one football team and close to the top in
the standings in the AFC.

Speaker 2 (01:19:39):
All right, the Steelers finally get on the board with
a field goal. They still trail the Texan sixteen to three,
and the Eagles got a field goal. Wow, but they
still trail the Commanders by a score of seventeen to thirteen.
So we got some crazy games going on, but I'm
looking at games that may go to the finish line.
And to be honest with you, we got a lot

(01:20:01):
of games right now where one team is handing it
to the other team. All right, we got a lot
more coming up here as we head into the second
half of these games, heading in the fourth quarter of
many For all the latest scores, stats, everything you need,
keep it right here.

Speaker 1 (01:20:14):
This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.

Speaker 5 (01:20:16):
Brays Young facing a blitzing Harrison Smith and the ball
game out.

Speaker 3 (01:20:21):
Come in and picked up by d jay Wanumus inside
the ten.

Speaker 1 (01:20:28):
Touchdown DJ Oneum's first National Football League touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:20:39):
That's k Fan one hundred boy three FM Vikings Radio Networks.
After trailing the entire game, Vikings have taken a fourteen
to thirteen lead over the Panthers in Carolina two and
a half minutes to go in the third quarter in
that game, this is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We're
broadcasting live from the tire rack dot Com studios. Tire
rack dot Com. We're gonna help get you there. Matt's selection,

(01:21:00):
fast free shipping, free road hazard protection, over ten thousand
recommended installers, tire rech dot com the way tire by
should be. So that game beginning to heat up right now.
Eagles have the ball trailing seventeen thirteen to the Commanders.
They've been down in that game the entire time. Colts
actually got on the board rich down twenty three to

(01:21:21):
nineen they got a touchdown on a touchdown pass from
Anthony Richardson to Mohley Cox and got a two point
conversion as well. So the Rams still lead the Colts
by a score of twenty three to eight, and the
Dolphins have gotten in the end zone trying to get
back in this game against the Bills thirty one to twenty,

(01:21:43):
upending the extra point. Bills still leading the Miami Dolphins.

Speaker 3 (01:21:47):
Well, good job by the Colts making this a true
two score game, because if they get another touchdown, two
point conversion, another touchdown, it knots it up. If they
want to go two point or two pointer after scores,
we're getting pretty far ahead of ourselves.

Speaker 1 (01:22:01):
Then you got yourself a lead.

Speaker 3 (01:22:03):
Look, the Rams are one of those teams where again,
if the second half goes anything like the first, this
is quickly becoming a team that nobody in the NFL
wants to face. And then you start doing some of
the advanced metrics. The Eagles kind of out to a
sluggish start. They get to host them coming up next,
the Cardinals after that they get to host them in LA.

(01:22:26):
The Steelers, who right now are getting it fed to
them by the Houston Texans on the road, they get
to host them. So that's three home games in a
row for a team who could emerge two and two
from this Colts game. They could be on the map
before heading to Dallas four weeks from now. It's it's
a thing. There's something happening with the Rams right now,

(01:22:47):
and it's it's something that nobody expected this preseason.

Speaker 2 (01:22:51):
All right, I'm trying to figure this out on what
Mike McDaniel just.

Speaker 1 (01:22:54):
Did with the Dolphins.

Speaker 2 (01:22:56):
So they score a touchdown to make it thirty one
to twenty, get the extra point.

Speaker 1 (01:22:59):
You're down to ten. They went for two, yeah, and did
not get it. Now you're down eleven, nine minutes to
go in the third quarter. Why are you going for
a two point of version at that point? What's what's
the point? Because even if you get it, you're down nine.
I'm not maybe if you got to with eight, yeah, okay,
that's a two.

Speaker 3 (01:23:19):
I don't get why. Yeah, So I guess the thought process.
I you know what I struggle with this the analytics,
you know group in the NFL like they're playing it
by the book.

Speaker 1 (01:23:34):
It's kind of like, but even if you get it,
it's still a two score game.

Speaker 3 (01:23:37):
I No, I completely understand what you're saying, but I'm
telling you right now, and Mike McDaniel, he's I don't
think he's completely one hundred percent an analytics guy. But
this this wave of coaches who believe in in playing
blackjack by the book, right, you know what I mean?
Every single time the dealer's showing soft six sixteen and

(01:23:58):
you're holding a twelve, Well, you.

Speaker 2 (01:24:00):
Got them running. We got Bill right now? Boom again.
Another big play for the Bills.

Speaker 1 (01:24:05):
James Cook on a Was that a catch and run
or a rush? Right now?

Speaker 3 (01:24:09):
They lead by eleven at home, thirty one to twenty ballgame.

Speaker 1 (01:24:12):
A like forty eight yard pass play.

Speaker 3 (01:24:15):
Yeah, look like just a short pass from Josh Allen
and James Cook did the rest. They got some real
team speed too. Everybody talks about the Dolphins team speed,
but when you look at this Bills team, I mean
they've got playmakers. Stefan Diggs obviously can take the top
off of any defense. But James Cook, I mean, this
guy's got wheels. Caught it in some space on the
sideline and got it all the way down to the

(01:24:36):
fifteen yard line sixteen yard line of the Miami Dolphins
in a hurry.

Speaker 1 (01:24:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:24:40):
The Dolphins defense has been bad. I mean, there's no
other word to describe it. Today, the Bills have had
their way against this Dolphins defense round. Meanwhile, the Steelers
rich trying to get back in this game. They were
trailing the Texans sixteen and nothing. They got a field goal.
Now they have a first and goal at the Houston
eight yard line seven minutes to go on the third
quarter in that game. And I just get back to

(01:25:02):
Mike Tomlin.

Speaker 1 (01:25:03):
I just don't know that people have ever fully appreciated
how good a coach this guy is. Yeah, he's good.

Speaker 2 (01:25:09):
I mean, he's obviously gonna be in the Hall of Fame,
but he's just one of those guys that he's like, okay, no,
not okay, because this is the league where style points
mean zero.

Speaker 1 (01:25:21):
The only thing that matters is to get more w's
than els, and that is what he has done throughout
his Hall of Fame career.

Speaker 3 (01:25:28):
I mean, and he's done it with in certain cases,
some really mediocre offenses like what he has right now. Yeah,
I mean what he's had the past three seasons. Ben
Roethlisberger's final gasps as a starting quarterback.

Speaker 1 (01:25:42):
The last couple of years, they were they were, they were.
Those are some rough years.

Speaker 3 (01:25:46):
So you can make an argument for the past three
years into this season, he's really the Steelers really have
had to fight their asses off to get in the
in the black and and they're operating in the red.

Speaker 1 (01:25:57):
They may mean in the negative years ago.

Speaker 2 (01:25:59):
I know with Big Ben who could not do anything,
and then last year to finish with a winning record, he.

Speaker 1 (01:26:04):
Was out there noodle arming it around.

Speaker 8 (01:26:06):
We've also had a lead change in the Eagles commander's game.
Four plays seventy four yards in spite of a roughing
the passer, you get aj Brown on the touchdown, Eagles
go for two, Kenneth Gainwell walks it in. Now twenty
one to seventeen Eagles.

Speaker 2 (01:26:22):
Was the fact that Bo was silent on that it
was just that he doesn't want to jinx the team
or what happened there?

Speaker 3 (01:26:27):
Oh no, listen, you know look got swoll Batman run
wild all.

Speaker 1 (01:26:31):
Over this, sir.

Speaker 4 (01:26:32):
Timers are going off on the Bills and the Dolphins.

Speaker 1 (01:26:34):
Yeah all right, well, how about this.

Speaker 2 (01:26:36):
The Vikings scored again on a Justin Jefferson reception from
Kirk Cousin thirty yards, so at one point, down thirteen
to seven at the half of the Panthers two touchdowns
in the third quarter, and the Vikings have taken a
twenty one to thirteen lead, looking for their first win
of the season. Meanwhile, the Bills settle for a field goal.

(01:26:56):
So they lead Miami by a score of thirty four
to twenty.

Speaker 3 (01:27:02):
Looks like the Eagles just just snagged the Commanders for
a third and short opportunity.

Speaker 1 (01:27:09):
Here, look the Eagles.

Speaker 3 (01:27:11):
Okay, And by the way, the two point conversion thing
that we were just talking about. The Eagles take a
four point lead going for two like makes sense. You
know when you're searching for what what was it for
the Dolphins and eleven eleven point disparity they would be
trailed by if they would successfully got the two point conversion.

Speaker 1 (01:27:29):
Right, It just it makes less sense.

Speaker 3 (01:27:32):
Look, the point is there is analytics, and then there's feel. Yeah,
there's playing by the book out of blackjack table, and
then there's you know, sometimes just going with your gut.
Sometimes guess what the book is wrong and you fail.
Just kick the extra point. Yeah, it's the middle of
the third quarter. I'm with you one hundred percent.

Speaker 2 (01:27:54):
You might be chasing that point. So right now they're
down fourteen. Have they kicked the extra they would be
down thirteen. Let me give you a perfect big difference.
So if anybody's been paying attention to the baseball season.
The San Diego Padres put together a world beating team.
The roster They've got this core, four of future Hall
of famers, some of the best hitters in baseball. This

(01:28:16):
team put up numbers all over the place, but they
didn't play like a team. I mean, this happens in
football too.

Speaker 3 (01:28:21):
You can do the things the right way as far
as the analytics tell you to do them on fourth down,
on two point conversions, and you can lose a whole
mess of ball games. I mean, the Baltimore Ravens made
a habit of it last year, and they stunk down
the stretch of the season as a result. Sometimes the
book's wrong. You have to sometimes just trust your gut.
You have to sometimes just do what you know conservative

(01:28:43):
football coaches from the past, you know, you'll call it
old school. I'll call it smart football. Sometimes, depending on
the way the game's going.

Speaker 2 (01:28:50):
All right, the Steelers had to settle for a field goal,
so the Texans still lead the Steelers sixteen to six
inside six minutes to.

Speaker 1 (01:28:59):
Go in the third quarter.

Speaker 2 (01:29:00):
In that game, the Commanders tried to get tricky there
on a third down.

Speaker 3 (01:29:06):
Yeah, it was third and short. Like I said, the
Eagles had just snuffed a run. Is that running the
ball out?

Speaker 1 (01:29:12):
How is that? Sam? I'm pretty sure right now. No, No,
that's a tight end. That was no he Logan Thomas
went a the motion and then he stopped right in
front of the center, took the snap. How got behind him.

Speaker 2 (01:29:25):
Don them, But apparently they did get the first down barely.
So the Commander's trailing in this game for the first time.
Twenty one to seventeen to the Eagles. What a fun
little play. So you have a fly motion from Logan Thomas.
He takes the direct snap under center, by the way,
so he put his hands under the center. And then
Sam Howell from the shotgun formation ran up and drilled

(01:29:47):
his own tight end with his shoulder in between the numbers.
And well, no, it worked the first down.

Speaker 1 (01:29:53):
Barely it worked.

Speaker 2 (01:29:55):
I mean this tight end you figure is gonna get
a dent in that defense.

Speaker 1 (01:29:58):
I'll tell you what.

Speaker 3 (01:29:59):
Nothing almost count in horseshoes and hand grenades. And apparently
on third and short situations. So that was good for
a first down. And now the Eagles have Darius Slay
Junior getting tend to he's down on one knee. It
was a hard tackle against one of the Commanders tight ends,
not Logan Thomas.

Speaker 2 (01:30:18):
Okay, the Broncos are showing some heart, guys. After that
twenty eight to seven deficit to the Bears. They forced
the Bears to punt a three and out after a
Broncos score. So Denver has the ball bag. It's twenty
eight to fourteen. Bears are leading the Broncos. This is

(01:30:42):
a character game here. I mean, you got to show
me something if you're the Denver Broncos getting humiliated by
the Bears. So the Broncos had the ball. We're at
the start of the fourth quarter in this game. They
had the ball at their own thirty seven yard line.
And again, if you look at the numbers for Russell
Wilson in this game, sixteen of nineteen, one hundred and
seventeen yards, two touchdowns, no picks. That's a pass the

(01:31:05):
rating of one hundred and twenty seven.

Speaker 3 (01:31:06):
No, no, it's all fine and well. The problem is
where those passes are being caught. A lot of them
Coast line of scrimmage, a lot of them. You know,
they're not pressing the ball downfield, and that's a part
of the passing game that they're gonna need to get
into to a tongue of I load just throws a
pick to the Bills defense.

Speaker 1 (01:31:22):
I could just smell that one coming. Yep, you saw it.

Speaker 3 (01:31:25):
It was kind of a floater over the left hash
and the Bills took the ball back from Miami. They
lead by thirty four. Excuse me, they lead by fourteen,
thirty four to twenty. Ball game in Buffalo.

Speaker 2 (01:31:36):
Overthrows in the middle of the field. You know how
they're going to result. And the defense was sitting back
on that one. He sailed to throw boom interception. So
the Bills have the ball and the lead thirty four
to twenty over the Dolphins. How many people out there
ready to put a boatload of money on the Dolphins
to win the Super Bowl?

Speaker 1 (01:31:56):
Not so fast.

Speaker 2 (01:31:57):
The Bills are looking pretty good right now. By the way,

fourth quarters around the NFL. Nine games in Action right now.
For the scores, for the stats, keep it here. This
is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.

Speaker 1 (01:32:21):
Takes the handoff to Murray Growth in the end zone.

Speaker 7 (01:32:24):
It's a try fecta christ Dephon Diggs thirteen yard touchdown
reception ten you.

Speaker 1 (01:32:33):
Diggts that's WGR five P fifty Bills Radio Network. How
about these stats?

Speaker 2 (01:32:41):
Stefan Diggs six catches, one hundred and twenty yards, three touchdowns,
Josh Allen nineteen to twenty two two hundred and eighty
four yards, four touchdowns, no picks. That's a perfect passer rating.
Bills lead the Dolphins by a score of forty one
to twenty. This is Fox Sports Zone Radio once again.
We are live from the ty iraq dot com studios.

(01:33:04):
You know, getting back to those digs numbers six for
one to twenty and three. Tyreek Hill three catches, fifty
eight yards, no touchdowns. So Diggs has double the receptions,
double the yards, three touchdowns to none and that's the
big difference in this game.

Speaker 3 (01:33:19):
Well, it's just like I told you, this is what
the Patriots did. Sean McDermott, defensive minded head coach. You
know he was looking at that New England field when
Jalen Waddle was healthy and went on the road to
Foxborough and the Dolphins got that win. It wasn't because
Tyreek Hill went off. He only had forty yards receiving
in that game. He had the touchdown, but he was
really suppressed by what the Patriots defense did to the

(01:33:42):
Dolphins offensively. And when you take away Tyreek Hill from
a Chiefs offense when he was with Kansas City, from
a Miami Dolphins offense now, it's it really harms your
production because to a tongue, Vilo wants to get it
to number ten early and often he has not been
able to so far. Today again to Bills, and it's
a big reason why they're leading by twenty one points

(01:34:05):
in the third quarter.

Speaker 8 (01:34:06):
We have a situation and keep your eye on here
on the Steelers Texans game. Fourth and one for the Steelers,
they went in the shotgun for some reason. But Kenny
Pickett has come up from the play limping. He's been
looked on the sidelines right.

Speaker 2 (01:34:19):
Now, All right, Otay, who's not limping right now? The
Denver Broncos. So they were down twenty eight to seven
to the Bears. It is now twenty eight to twenty one,
and Russell Wilson is bringing him back. He's now twenty
at twenty six, one hundred and seventy five yards. He
just threw his third touchdown pass of the game, and

(01:34:39):
the Broncos have the ball back. So this has been
this has been interesting. Actually, the Bears now get the ball,
but the Bears trying to hang on. I mean they're
still the Bears, yeah, I mean, despite the fact that
they've had this offensive onslaught. Suddenly the Broncos are responding
to whatever Sean Payton is telling him. To stop embarrassing

(01:35:00):
yourselves out there. This is the Bears. We can win
this game. And the Bears now lead by a score
of twenty eight to twenty one, still nine and a
half minutes to go in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 3 (01:35:12):
And it's what I said to you before our break
at the top of the hour. You know, if you're
Sean Payton, what are you saying in the locker room,
You're telling all these guys that, regardless of what you
think of this situation this year or how you feel,
put your feelings aside. You're playing for your career out here,
you know, and every single other NFL team is looking

(01:35:33):
at your performance So whether you think you have a
long term situation in Denver or you think that you
have a long term situation in this league, don't go
out there and do what you did last week against
the Dolphins and think you can give up in the
second half of a football game and still have a job.
Because if I'm Sean Payton, I'm still trying to make
examples of people. Because he's got a long term contract

(01:35:55):
with Denver. His job is to make this team better,
and it may get worse. It may get worse at first,
rough adjustments for a lot of first time head coaches
with new ball teams. Now he's not first time head coach,
but you know what I mean, first year with the
Denver Broncos. So there could be some fits and starts
at first. But you better be one of the guys
who's gonna put forth a great effort for him if

(01:36:15):
you want to keep your job in Denver. And that's
what we're seeing in the second half, showing a little
life here. This is a seven point ball game.

Speaker 2 (01:36:20):
All right, justin fields and the Bears taken over right now,
justin fields?

Speaker 1 (01:36:24):
What a game?

Speaker 2 (01:36:25):
Twenty four of twenty six, two and ninety two yards
four touchdowns, no picks. He has been fabulous in this game.
DJ Moore by the way, seven catches, hundred seventeen yards
and a score. So Bears now got the ball and
last time they were three and out. Broncos have scored
in their last two possessions. So the Bear is trying
to run some clock now inside nine minutes to go

(01:36:46):
in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 1 (01:36:48):
Just in time.

Speaker 3 (01:36:49):
Speaking of showing a little life, the Philadelphia Eagles appear
to have finally gotten off the bus and they're playing
football like the Philadelphia Eagles should. They're putting together a
nice little drive here. Currently leading by four points at
home twenty one to seventeen ballgame against division rival the
Washington Commanders in the red zone against Washington right now

(01:37:10):
and threatening to score. A missed opportunity there looked like
he had was that Goddard? Yeah it was god It
pretty wide open, but an overthrown ball by Jellen Hurts
sets up a second intent opportunity inside the twenty yard line.

Speaker 2 (01:37:25):
Another team trying to come back, the Colts. They were
down twenty three nothing to the Rams at home. They
get the touchdown in two point conversion. Rams just missed
a field goal so the Colts get the ball back,
trailing twenty three to eight inside fourteen minutes ago in
the fourth quarter in that game, couple other updates for
you on scores. Texans still lead the Steelers sixteen to six.

(01:37:48):
We just got to the end of the third quarter
in that game. Panthers have the ball trailing the Vikings
by a score of twenty one to thirteen. Seven minutes
to go there. You mentioned the Eagles Commanders. Third quarter
just ended with the Eagle up twenty one to seventeen.
How about the Buccaneers, Man, Buccaneers still leading the Saints
seventeen to six. We're into the fourth quarter in this game.

(01:38:08):
Baker Mayfield's been not outstanding, but he's been good enough
twenty at twenty six hundred and seventy six yards, two touchdowns.
The Saints just aren't getting any offense. Derek Carr has
sixteen completions for just seventy nine yards in this game,
and Alvin kamaras you ran decently forty seven yards on

(01:38:29):
the ground, but they're just getting nothing out of their
passing game. Their longest completion in this game just thirteen yards.

Speaker 1 (01:38:36):
Rich.

Speaker 3 (01:38:36):
Yeah, Yeah, it's it's gonna be a long, hard day
if they continue that effort. Hey, by the way, you know,
I'm watching some of these highlights from the Dolphins offense
against this Bill's defense, and what they're doing a really
nice job of is they're they're capping what the Dolphins
can do with this split safety coverage. They're keeping everything

(01:38:57):
in front of their deepest safeties and that is a
big reason why they haven't had too many explosive plays.
We're used to seeing the Miami Dolphins just running wild
on teams like they did last week, but they do
that every week. It feels like at least one explosive play.
They're doing a really nice job. We might coverage.

Speaker 4 (01:39:13):
We might have a defensive touchdown in this Bears Broncos game.
Oh my, it's either going to be an incomplete pass
from Justin Fields are they're gonna rule it a fumble
and it'll be returned for a touchdown.

Speaker 1 (01:39:21):
Wow, which was kind of game. If that holds up,
I mean, wow, this is this would be predation play
right now, so.

Speaker 4 (01:39:27):
It might be Wow.

Speaker 1 (01:39:28):
It doesn't look like they're challenge. There goes the kick.
It's good. Look at this. Oh my goodness.

Speaker 3 (01:39:34):
Yeah, Fields gets clobbered a scoop and score and we
have a tie.

Speaker 1 (01:39:39):
Wow ball game in Chicago. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:39:44):
The Bears are the Bears right right? The Bears do
be Bears, and they're Bears in right now. So a
twenty eight to seven lead has completely evaporated. That game
is now tied to twenty eight seven minutes to go.

Speaker 1 (01:39:59):
In the fourth cour order of that game. Wow, that
is just the Bears are the Bears. This team scored
twenty one points in the second quarter alone. Look at you, Oh,
that is just can you imagine if you're a Bears fan, Like, finally,
finally we found somebody that's worse than us. We can
get a w and Justin Field's trying to chase it

(01:40:22):
down and he is chasing a Bronco defender into the
end zone. So that score holds up. Twenty eight all
Bears and Broncos. We have a whole brand new ball game.

Speaker 2 (01:40:33):
All right, let's find out what is trending right now
on what has been a very very busy Sunday.

Speaker 1 (01:40:40):
Moncey is all over it. Moncey, guys.

Speaker 10 (01:40:43):
I think the Broncos defense heard me talking smack because
I have them in one of my fantasy leagues at
TEXTA and my boyfriend's like.

Speaker 11 (01:40:49):
Why do I have the Broncos defense? Why did I
do that too?

Speaker 3 (01:40:53):
You might want to just go ahead and get a
flyer on one of the other defense.

Speaker 11 (01:40:57):
I didn't even realize you get a score. Yea, yeah,
I was like, okay, they heard me talking, smack.

Speaker 5 (01:41:03):
What a game.

Speaker 10 (01:41:04):
Twenty eight twenty eight, still seven minutes to go, but
Justin Fields does have four touchdown passes along with Josh Allen,
and the Bills are beating the Dolphins forty one to twenty.

Speaker 11 (01:41:14):
They're about to end the third quarter.

Speaker 10 (01:41:16):
In Buffalo, the Deshaun Watson list Browns have struggled. Raven's
still on top twenty one to three. That field goal
the brown scored in the first quarter. They haven't done
anything since then. Still early in the fourth, but twenty
one to three is the score. Bengals also just have
a field goal that came in the first quarter, and
Joe Burrow is there times up twenty seven to three

(01:41:38):
early in the fourth. The Colts have added some more points,
but the Rams are still on top twenty three fifteen
early in the fourth as well. The Buccaneers beating the
Saints seventeen to six. Baker Mayfield one hundred and seventy
six yards, two touchdowns.

Speaker 11 (01:41:50):
One interception in the air.

Speaker 10 (01:41:51):
The Eagles holding onto their lead over the Commander's twenty
one seventeen. They are in the red zone and they're
about to start the fourth quarter with the Vikings holding
on to their lead over the Panthers twenty one to thirteen,
three minutes to go in the game, and the Texans
are beating the Steelers at home sixteen to six early
in the fourth quarter. Today's also the last day of
regular season baseball and there is still stuff, you know,

(01:42:15):
on the line with the Al West Divisional race, so
it's tight. Basically, if the Rangers win, they win the division.
If they lose and the Astros win, the Astros get
it over the tie break. Right now, the Astros are
beating the Diamondbacks four zero bottom of the first inning.
The Rangers and the Mariners are scoreless in the bottom
of the second inning.

Speaker 11 (01:42:34):
Some players that you want to keep an eye on today.

Speaker 10 (01:42:36):
Miguel Cabrera his last game for Detroit, and also Adam
Wainwright the picture for the Cardinals. They gave him a
custom painted Gibson lest Paul guitar with all of these
personal notes on the back.

Speaker 11 (01:42:48):
But more importantly, they gave him a puppy.

Speaker 1 (01:42:51):
Oh nay, Louis, Oh wow.

Speaker 11 (01:42:54):
So guys, when I retire, I want a puppy. That's
what I'm saying. Okay, I want a puppy. In fact,
give me three.

Speaker 1 (01:43:00):
Okay, I have three puppies at home. There are a
lot of work. They are children. I understand.

Speaker 11 (01:43:06):
I have what. I have, a ninety pound puppy.

Speaker 1 (01:43:08):
I know that you want three more.

Speaker 11 (01:43:09):
I want three more. So that's I'm just telling you, guys.
I don't need the guitar. I do want a puppy. Okay,
back to you guys.

Speaker 1 (01:43:16):
Every time I see one of those commercials you know,
the dogs, Yes.

Speaker 11 (01:43:20):
Stop it. Who's the singer? Uh Sarah?

Speaker 1 (01:43:26):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (01:43:26):
And you.

Speaker 1 (01:43:30):
Gee?

Speaker 11 (01:43:31):
And then the commercials are like seven minutes long.

Speaker 1 (01:43:34):
I can't watch. I literally I have to. I can't watch.

Speaker 11 (01:43:38):
It's awful. Give me a puppy.

Speaker 3 (01:43:41):
Get get Kenny, pick at a puppy, a service on
them all, something for him to pat because he's uh,
he's there seeing an injury.

Speaker 1 (01:43:49):
It's Mitchell Trubisky. Yeah, well, in the game for the
Pittsburgh Steelers heston again.

Speaker 2 (01:43:54):
Yeah, it's this game is probably gonna be over because
the Texans just scored again. Boy, so twenty three to
six inside eleven minutes to go in the fourth quarter.
Texans have dominated this game, they really have.

Speaker 3 (01:44:08):
And it gets even worse for Pittsburgh because now you
have a knee injury that's taking your starting quarterback out
of the game. This is the player who replaced Mitchell
Trubisky a season ago, so it be Trubisky the rest
of way today. We'll see the severity of this knee,
I'm sure in the upcoming days. And how about that
wayn Wright gets a Gibson Les Paul as a gift
from what was it from the Reds from Cincinnati.

Speaker 1 (01:44:31):
That's pretty cool he's had who was it from? Oh?
I can't hear your Mike's not on? Yeah, all right,
this is he got to give him the cut.

Speaker 10 (01:44:39):
Yeah, Saint Louis Cardinals, Adam Waynwright, his own.

Speaker 1 (01:44:42):
Team, his own team, give me yeah.

Speaker 11 (01:44:44):
Because he's a singer.

Speaker 10 (01:44:45):
So he actually just had a concert after one of
their games, one of the last games he pitched.

Speaker 11 (01:44:50):
He had a concert for the fans after and so
they gave him a.

Speaker 3 (01:44:53):
Guitar and we miss it up and a puppy. Yeah,
well listen, yeah, keep the guitar, geting the puppy.

Speaker 1 (01:45:00):
I complete. I missed that note because I was looking
at this, by the way situation.

Speaker 2 (01:45:03):
Adam Wayne Adam Wayne right in his final season with
the Cardinals is five and eleven with a seven forty.

Speaker 1 (01:45:09):
RORO in a negative two point Oh war. Okay, I
mean you go, thank you in this most season for
the Cardinals. I'm just saying, I mean, you know what, listen,
I'm the I paid him seventeen point five million for
that demock.

Speaker 4 (01:45:24):
Take take the puppy away, St.

Speaker 1 (01:45:25):
Louis. He doesn't deserve it. Smash the guitar, take the puppy.

Speaker 3 (01:45:29):
Look after nineteen seasons, what you're gonna blame him for
staying a year too long at the party? You have
any idea how many times and He's like, the party's over,
we have to go, And I'm just like, whoa.

Speaker 1 (01:45:42):
I'm just saying that.

Speaker 2 (01:45:43):
You know, you have paid him one hundred and eighty
five million dollars in salary the Cardinals over the years,
So I don't.

Speaker 1 (01:45:48):
Know, I just you know, okay, listen, you know I'm
sort of like, what have you done for me lately?

Speaker 3 (01:45:53):
Little Maybe make him pay for the puppy and the guitar.
It could be worse.

Speaker 2 (01:45:56):
He could be Zach Rank, who's one in fifteen this year,
one in fifteen. Bills just scored again on a Josh
Allen Walking rushing touchdown. He's putting a little sh to
his own crowd. You know, we're just pouring it on
the Dolphins.

Speaker 3 (01:46:12):
Today as salting the wound. So, yeah, the Dolphins getting
a little taste of their own medicine, right yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:46:18):
And by the way, we just started the fourth quarter.
You know, the Bills aren't gonna let up.

Speaker 3 (01:46:22):
No, no, no, no, no, no, no no.

Speaker 1 (01:46:23):
And nor should they. I was about to say before
this recent score.

Speaker 3 (01:46:27):
If the Dolphins get to stop here, the Bills have
to be worried because they just had Tredavius White leave
the field on a cart. He had the towel over
his head, obviously visibly upset with the injury. Did you
guys see if Jordan Poyer started at safety or did
did Hamlin end up getting this spot? Okay, so already

(01:46:47):
down one starting safety and then White obviously that's a huge, huge,
huge blow to the Bills defense, but after piling on
another score to increase their lead by twenty eight, I'm
gonna say this game is I think the Bills are
are in the cat Birds scene.

Speaker 2 (01:47:04):
The Bills are going to win this game. The margin
of victory is still to be determined. They had to
look like let's pour it on. Meanwhile, the Colts are
right back in this game against the Rams.

Speaker 1 (01:47:15):
They were down twenty three to nothing.

Speaker 2 (01:47:17):
It is now twenty three to fifteen, one score game.
The Rams have the ball right now nearing midfield, but
they're commanding lead has all but evaporated.

Speaker 4 (01:47:28):
Talking about some injury concerns, I guess the Rams Matthew
Stafford is playing through some kind of leg or hip
injury right now.

Speaker 3 (01:47:33):
Oh boy, Yeah, Matthew Stafford, He's always playing for the something.
He's just one of those quarterbacks who was he thirty five?
Is that his age of maybe's thirty seven. He's getting
up there. Yeah, But he's just one of those guys
who you know, he's aged so quickly over the past
couple of seasons.

Speaker 1 (01:47:51):
Like he came to the Rams. Of line is not
exactly the top notch right now, but when he came
to the Rams.

Speaker 3 (01:47:56):
We're like, oh wow, you know, this guy's still got
some vim and big left in a man.

Speaker 2 (01:48:01):
You can still throw the ball, but you got to
keep them upright, by the way. One team that's also
going to lose today will be the Bengals. Down twenty
seven to three, six and a half minutes to go
in the fourth quarter. Joe Burrow nineteen to twenty nine,
one hundred and sixty three yards. I don't know where
the Bengals go from here, Rich, there'll be one and
three on the season. This is a Titans team that

(01:48:23):
came in having lost nine of their last ten games,
but three points for the Bengals team.

Speaker 3 (01:48:29):
Dah, listen, I mean, Joe Burrow isn't right. Clearly, they're
This calf injury that they were very vague about this
offseason was far more serious than any of us suspected,
and it's really had a profound impact, as it should.
He is the most important player to that franchise. But

(01:48:49):
it's out of a profound impact. The Commanders right now
are driving. They're trailing by seven, and they're in excuse me,
Eagles almost said Dolphins territory and almost got a first
down there. I'll tell you what, this is a much
closer ballgame than I thought it would be, especially after
the thrashing the Commanders took a week ago. You figured

(01:49:11):
they were starting, you know, to show you just exactly
who they were. But the Eagles, this is what they've
shown you who they are, slow starting team who have
been in dogfights every week to earn their three and
zero start.

Speaker 2 (01:49:23):
All right, we got a finish going on right now,
Vikings and the Panthers a minute ten to go in
the fourth quarter, Vikings leading twenty one to thirteen. Panthers
with a third and goal, but they're at the Minnesota
eighteen yard line on third and goals, so they need
a touchdown. They need a two point conversion to potentially
push this game into overtime. So we'll keep our eye

(01:49:45):
on the Panthers as they tried to get back in
this game against the Vikings.

Speaker 1 (01:49:50):
Vikings.

Speaker 2 (01:49:51):
Obviously, both these teams come in the record of zero
to three Vikings, especially the way they lost that game
to the Chargers last week. Wolf, Yeah, I mean, they
get the break of the century when Brandon Staley pulled
a Brandon Staley going for it on his own twenty
four yard line with a fourth to one handed than
the ball, and then the Vikings I don't know, one

(01:50:11):
brain dead right at the end of that game ended
up throwing an interception in the end zone.

Speaker 1 (01:50:16):
Yeah, fourth and goal. Fourth and goal now for the
Panthers at Minnesota's eighteen yard line.

Speaker 3 (01:50:21):
I was going to say, we have a third and
one for the Washington Commanders, and inexplicably, they try to
run the exact same play that they ran earlier by
putting a tight end under center in motion.

Speaker 1 (01:50:36):
What did they figure they were going to.

Speaker 3 (01:50:37):
Catch the Philadelphia Eagles sleeping twice on this play? That
was ridiculous. Apparently it's the only play they dropped this week.
I mean, you don't have another short yardage play that
was bunkers that they tried to run this again last time.
By the way, Sam Howe gave the little tush push
to his tight end this time.

Speaker 2 (01:50:56):
This tight end is not doing anything. He's being stood
up at the line each time. The first time he
was able to get pushed over. But black guy though,
so I'm curious. Yeah, I think this is is this
going against the command.

Speaker 4 (01:51:08):
I think it's a false start or maybe a illegal.

Speaker 2 (01:51:12):
I thought the right tackle moved before the ball did
on that snap, throw that play away if you're the commander.

Speaker 3 (01:51:19):
Sorry, well, now it's a third and six, so the
the Eagles elect to take the penalty, so it'll be
a third and longer situation for the commanders at the
Eagles thirty one yard line.

Speaker 2 (01:51:30):
Bears driving right now against the Broncos. Broncos were down
twenty eight to seven. They tied it a twenty eight
on a fumble return for a touchdown. But the Bears
on the move again, and they have a third and
five at the Denver twenty two yard line, a little
over three minutes to go in this game. And again
justin fields twenty five to twenty eight, three hundred two yards,

(01:51:50):
four touchdowns, no picks, three touchdown passes to Russell Wilson,
but a big third down right now for the Bears
at the Denver twenty two yard line. Roncos hold here,
they will definitely have a chance to assuming the Bears
we get the field goal. They're gonna run the ball
on third and five, and oh they are short toffed.

Speaker 3 (01:52:13):
Was that Rohan Johnson? Was that Khalil Herbert? But one
of the running backs have the Bears backfield just got
snuffed a yard. Shi, Let me ask you if the
first down marker you got Justin Fields having the game
of his life.

Speaker 1 (01:52:25):
That was Herbert. Yeah, go ahead, and it's.

Speaker 2 (01:52:27):
Third and five. I mean, wouldn't you put the ball
in Justin Fields? You know, rolling out where he has
the run pass option on third and five.

Speaker 1 (01:52:35):
Yeah, I'm run up the middle right there with you.
That's a three yard game. So fourth and two and
the Bears look like they're gonna You can't go for it?
Can you? Three less than three minutes to go? In
a tie game? Where's the ball spotted again? Hey? By
the way at the nineteen yard line.

Speaker 3 (01:52:51):
The Commanders converted that third down try on third and six,
and they are.

Speaker 1 (01:52:55):
Off to the races into the end zode.

Speaker 3 (01:52:57):
It's a touchdown for Washington, and at very least for
a moment, they are within one. Brian Robinson Junior with
the inside zone play. Watch this block by the tackle
fronts are or the guard front side completely seals off
the lefts are of the or the defensive front.

Speaker 2 (01:53:17):
I see Bowie's texting immediately. Something has to be coming
of this. He's not happy right now, and so heide
with the Commanders.

Speaker 1 (01:53:24):
Here's the question, here's the question. Yeah, go for two?
Do you absolutely? There's the spot on the Well, it
was eight minutes ago.

Speaker 3 (01:53:32):
I was gonna say, there's a lot of time left
in this game. Watch it tie it here? Will they
kick the extra point?

Speaker 1 (01:53:36):
Is good?

Speaker 2 (01:53:37):
So we're tied up in that game, all right? So
Bears are going for it on fourth and one. No,
they can't be going. They were trying to draw the
Broncos off side.

Speaker 3 (01:53:45):
Well, good discipline by Sean Payton's defense that in take
the bait, and so the Broncos in a situation there.

Speaker 2 (01:53:53):
Well, the Bears are going to come on and most
likely go for a field goal. So, but still three
minutes to go, Russell Wilson, Assuming the Bears get a
field goal, here will have plenty of time, plenty of
time to bring the Broncos back. Dolphins, by the way,
have a fourth and goal at the Buffalo six yard line.
Too little, too late, down forty eight to twenty.

Speaker 1 (01:54:14):
Is there a more tortured fan base than the Chicago Bears? Now,
my goodness, there's only a restart. Well, I don't get
me wrong. Yeah, there's plenty of them if you look right.

Speaker 2 (01:54:23):
And why do we ask our resident Lions fan, Chris,
have you been tortured over the years?

Speaker 8 (01:54:28):
I have no tears to weep at all, or any
sympathy to give, no shoulder to cry upon from Chicago
Bears fans.

Speaker 1 (01:54:34):
How about Chargers fans? They know as well a lot
of pain over the years. Yeah, the Padres fans. Right
here we go, they're going for fans than one and
the Bears get stuffed. Why not even.

Speaker 2 (01:54:45):
Close the ball up the middle on fourth and one
and got no gain?

Speaker 1 (01:54:50):
You know what they should have done.

Speaker 3 (01:54:51):
You should have gone in a spread formation and had
their tight end motion in and take a direction.

Speaker 2 (01:54:57):
So they have a head coach who I still don't
know how to pronounce. It's the same eber Flus or whatever.
He's got to lose. He has to be fired immediately
if they lose this game. I'm pretty sure it has
to be fired immediately. Fourth and one and they run
the ball straight up the middle for no game meaning
instead of you know, walking away with a three point lead,

(01:55:19):
now you hand Denver the ball with two point fifty
two to go in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 1 (01:55:23):
All they need is a field goal to win this game.

Speaker 3 (01:55:25):
They didn't block the backside linebacker I don't know if
it's because he wasn't accounted for or if because somebody
got held up at the Look at the Bears fans,
they are livid. You think they're livid. You should have
seen the shot they just showed from the owner suite.
You had a gentleman with his head in his hands,
and I'm figuring he's been spending hundreds of millions of
dollars on this roster construction over the years and he's law.

Speaker 2 (01:55:48):
A twenty eight to seven lead at home in this
game too. There's a games fans just off to the
races for the Brocas. They're inside the thirty five yard
line of the Bills.

Speaker 3 (01:55:57):
That Cortland Sutton I think it was. That was a huge,
huge shot down field. No Mims Junior with the catch,
and so Russell Wilson I was saying all game long,
they have impressed the vertical part of the field and
they finally do in crunch time their infield goal range.

Speaker 2 (01:56:14):
Stay with us. The best is yet to come. This
is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.

Speaker 11 (01:56:19):
Second down.

Speaker 5 (01:56:19):
The calling is two from just outside the fifteen hand
off Robinson right up the middle, got a hold on the.

Speaker 3 (01:56:24):
Tag five through a tack hole touchdown, touch down, Washington.

Speaker 14 (01:56:29):
You have to fall to the young pool. That's why
you give it to up Tulie. He's started to feel himself.
Excellent Blocket double team block Buss, Dick Chalk and Nick
Chase be Rob up with the safety play the shift
you have done, Tess Lock jis be Rob.

Speaker 1 (01:56:45):
That's big.

Speaker 2 (01:56:45):
One hundred Commanders Radio Network Commanders tying up that game
with the Eagles, and the Commanders have the ball back
six and a half minutes ago in the fourth quarter
of that game. Fox Sports Red Zone Radio Steve Hartman,
Rich Ornberger with you. We're live from the Time dot
Com Studio. Oh, don't sleep on those Bears. Okay, So
the Denver Broncos just came all the way back and

(01:57:07):
took the lead in this game, thirty one to twenty
eight ballgame in Chicago, but cole Co met with a
big reception, sets up first and ten for the Chicago Bears,
still on their own side of the field. Justin Field's
under pressure throws it away. But I mean, this is
this game's far from over. The Bears.

Speaker 3 (01:57:25):
If they've shown nothing, they've been able to hang with
this well hang with I mean they've had a commanding lead.

Speaker 2 (01:57:30):
Long here the broncoing the ball. This is what I
do not understand. The Bears had a third and five
in a tie game, and they ran the ball up
the middle and consecutive plays got Stone. You have a
quarterback that has three incomplete passes.

Speaker 3 (01:57:43):
I'm with you, I I it was confounding. And also
running the football from shotgun from a flat footed sidecar
position for your running back is ridiculous. Culsive tied the game.

Speaker 1 (01:57:53):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (01:57:54):
Rams were up twenty three to nothing. The Colts get
a touchdown in a two point conversion. Here's the two
point conversion being played right here. That is the two
point conversion. And this is what you were calling for
from Justin Fields. On the third or fourth and short opportunity,
Anthony Richardson in the gun play action fake roll out
to the right, throws a touchdown pass to Michael Pittman Junior.

(01:58:14):
I should say a two point conversion pass to Michael
Pittman Junior, and they tie the ballgame in Indianapolis twenty
three all against the Rams. Wow, all the way back
from a twenty three to nothing deficit with the rookie
quarterback Anthony Richardson getting the job done, so the Rams
will have the ball inside two minutes to go in
a tie game, a game they thought they had. Meanwhile,

(01:58:35):
the Bears continue to move another pass play and they're
at midfield against this SIVs secondary of the Bronco mine. Again,
they can't stop the pass.

Speaker 3 (01:58:44):
They can't, I mean that at all. It's as bad
as we've seen a defense in a long long time, right, Okay,
because as in net as the Chicago Bears have looked
against virtually everyone, they look like, I mean.

Speaker 2 (01:58:58):
There's no pass rush and say that they're about to
get a sack, so they throw the ball away. But
Bears are in position definitely to try to get them
about a minute fourteen to go right now, Bears trailing
the Broncos by a score of thirty one to twenty eight.
They still need about twenty more yards to get into
reasonable field goal position to try to tie this game up.

(01:59:19):
By the way, the Ravens twenty eight to three blowout
win over the Browns, we got four and a half
minutes to go there without Deshaun Watson.

Speaker 1 (01:59:29):
Brown simply have no offense. Texans just scored again.

Speaker 3 (01:59:32):
So yeah, the Texans just connected with Nico Collins and
pass the thirty j six crowd a fifty two yard reception.

Speaker 2 (01:59:39):
Yeah, Strada's three hundred and six yards passing two touchdowns.

Speaker 1 (01:59:42):
He's pretty good.

Speaker 3 (01:59:43):
Well, listen, if you're the Carolina Panthers, are you looking
over over the fence at what's happening in Houston and Innianeapolis?

Speaker 1 (01:59:49):
Yes? I am all right.

Speaker 2 (01:59:51):
We'll continue on. We got some exciting finishes around the NFL.
For all the latest, keep it here. This is Fox
Sports a red zone Radio. Richardson, he throws it, feel caught.

Speaker 1 (02:00:02):
By Andrew Ogletree, dezen touchdown?

Speaker 9 (02:00:06):
Ind Why touchdown for Andrew Ogletree his first receiving score
of the NFL.

Speaker 1 (02:00:13):
And it's twenty three to twenty one. Shock and step
Richardson angling right throws, go fight open my gump pit.
Then have the two point diversion, and it's good.

Speaker 3 (02:00:25):
We are tied.

Speaker 1 (02:00:27):
We are tied.

Speaker 7 (02:00:28):
The game is not enough at twenty three with under
two minutes to go.

Speaker 2 (02:00:34):
All right, So that's Colts Radio Network all the way
back from a twenty three to nothing deficit to the Rams.
The Colts have tied it, and the Colts now have
the ball, am I correct on that one. Colts have
the ball back, So the Rams failed to move on
their drive, and the Colts have a minute and a
half to go from their own thirty five yard line,

(02:00:57):
and we'll see if they can put a goal and
win this game or are they going to come away
and get into overtime. Meanwhile, another team that blew a
big lead actually blew a big lead, and that would
be the Chicago Bears, up twenty eight to seven at home,
end up losing to the Broncos thirty one to twenty eight.

(02:01:20):
I don't know if Justin Fields has left the field yet.
He was so desponded, understandably thinking the Bears had finally
won a game, and basically they haven't won a game
since Elon Musk took over Twitters.

Speaker 1 (02:01:33):
Is that the stack?

Speaker 8 (02:01:35):
Yes, I don't remember the exact date when he purchased it,
but it has been at least since like late twenty
twenty eight.

Speaker 1 (02:01:42):
So check this out.

Speaker 3 (02:01:44):
Whatever they do at the head coach position, it is
a fire sale in Chicago. If you're the ownership, you
got to just think, all right, what can we get?
What can we get for Justin Fields? I mean, are
are you sticking it out with him, especially, I'm.

Speaker 2 (02:02:00):
Sticking it out with a coach that hasn't won a game.
Let's see, the exact date of their last win was
October twenty four.

Speaker 3 (02:02:08):
Let me pitch this if I am the Chicago Bears.
What I'm doing is I'm getting on the phone with
whoever is representing Caleb Williams and Lincoln Riley, and I'm saying,
package deal. We're going to trade away our quarterback. Our
aim is to be the worst team in football this year,
and we'll offer you both jobs. We'll take you with
the top pick and we'll give your head coach a job.

Speaker 2 (02:02:27):
But you're still not because I just want to We
talked earlier about Caleb Williams.

Speaker 1 (02:02:31):
I mean, that's a graveyard for quarterback.

Speaker 3 (02:02:33):
I understand that. But what if Lincoln Riley is a
part of the deal. What if all of a sudden
he gets lorered away from USC.

Speaker 4 (02:02:39):
And don't forget to the Panthers are also winless and
the Bears have their pick as well. So yeah, the
Bears have a real chance to have like one in
two or one in three or some comb of a pick,
so they could turn it around in a hurry.

Speaker 2 (02:02:50):
But yeah, I'll say this to Lincoln Riley. I'll take you,
but don't bring your defensive coordinator. Oh well yeah, yeah, yeah,
let's just leave him in second.

Speaker 4 (02:02:59):
We don't have to talk about that.

Speaker 3 (02:03:00):
We did not have to talk about how wait that
second half Colorado, I mean, did you how they were trailing.

Speaker 1 (02:03:06):
By what thirty?

Speaker 2 (02:03:08):
It was forty one to fourteen, and they outscored him
at that point, you know, twenty seven to fourteen.

Speaker 1 (02:03:14):
The rest of the twenty seven to seven.

Speaker 2 (02:03:16):
All right, So the Eagles have the ball two minute
warning in that game, tied with the Commanders. They're in
Washington territory at the forty four yard line. They have
a first down. Meanwhile, the Rams have the ball back.

Speaker 1 (02:03:30):
Again.

Speaker 2 (02:03:31):
This has been back and forth here in this last
couple of minutes of this game, still tied to twenty
three Rams and the Colts. And now we got a
minute to go and the clock is running. The Rams
have one time out left, trying to get into field
goal position to salvage a game in which they blew
a twenty three to nothing lead.

Speaker 1 (02:03:53):
So we got two tie games right now.

Speaker 3 (02:03:55):
One thing we know about the Rams when it comes
down to the waning moments of the game. They know
how to get into field goal position and kicked the
field goal they did against the forty nine ers, and
their friends in Vegas were really happy with that that game.

Speaker 1 (02:04:08):
Remember, yeah, really happy.

Speaker 2 (02:04:10):
The pass is incomplete on the sideline, so thirty seconds left,
and that this game has the feel of an overtime
game right now.

Speaker 1 (02:04:20):
He does.

Speaker 3 (02:04:20):
And by the way, speaking of overtime, Philadelphia Eagles Commanders
still knotted up twenty four all, but the Igles are.

Speaker 2 (02:04:26):
Down to the Commander's twenty eight yard line, so they're
definitely in field goal position.

Speaker 3 (02:04:30):
Why I hear you, but this this Commander's defense, they've
they've hung in tough. They've hung in tough all day long,
and really, honestly, the Philadelphia Eagles there, look, we'll go
to our resident Eagles experts.

Speaker 2 (02:04:43):
Yes, Ben, you're feeling here on how they handled the
minute forty nine to go. Just run down the clock,
get a field goal.

Speaker 4 (02:04:50):
Yeah, yeah, right, try to, he tried to. No, no
need to get fancy. You don't have to put in
the end zone.

Speaker 1 (02:04:54):
I like that, Yeah, no frills. While Matthews Stafford slid
a yard short of a first down, you know, if
you're on a quarterback scramble and.

Speaker 3 (02:05:05):
No, no, no, no, no, don't even it's second down,
make the correct choice.

Speaker 1 (02:05:09):
Which is a business decision.

Speaker 4 (02:05:10):
Just ran out of breath.

Speaker 1 (02:05:11):
He's thirty five years old, man, I mean yeah, he
is at oldest any kind of shot.

Speaker 8 (02:05:15):
He's not finishing this game. He will disintegrate if he
gets hit. All right, So we have a.

Speaker 2 (02:05:20):
Third and one for the Rams on their own forty
eight yard line. There's nineteen seconds less stiff breeze and
Stafford's ucl will unravel and the Rams are.

Speaker 1 (02:05:31):
Out of timeout.

Speaker 2 (02:05:32):
So you you you make a playover in the middle.
I don't know if you have enough time to set
up for a field goal. I mean, you have no
time out, So I'm not quite sure what the Rams
are gonna be.

Speaker 3 (02:05:42):
My goodness, DeVante Smith Ice is this one in Philadelphia?

Speaker 1 (02:05:48):
Brown? It's AJ Brown? Oh, it's a J Brown.

Speaker 3 (02:05:50):
AJ Brown has had the game of the day today.
What is what does his stat line look that look like?

Speaker 2 (02:05:56):
All right, here's Stafford right now, he's looking down the field,
try to make a play and he throws it out
of bounds. So the fourth and one play for the
Rams now with eleven seconds to go in a twenty
three all tie.

Speaker 10 (02:06:09):
A J.

Speaker 3 (02:06:10):
Brown has had quite a day. Hang on, they're still updating, but.

Speaker 4 (02:06:14):
It's gonna end up being like eight catches for one
sixty and two touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (02:06:19):
Yeah yeah, So if you had swoll Batman on the
old fantasy roster, congratulations, he just got your whole boatload
of points today. Eagles lead thirty to twenty four here
ensuing extra point, waiting on Jake Elliott to kick this
one through for Philadelphia, one.

Speaker 1 (02:06:34):
Forty three left on the clock.

Speaker 2 (02:06:35):
About this, the Rams are gonna punt with eleven seconds
to go fourth and one.

Speaker 1 (02:06:41):
Watch fake anna. Yeah, well that's the situation where.

Speaker 2 (02:06:46):
They go for They're settling for overtime, is what they're
doing right now. So freaka okay, Jake kitch there by
the Colts inside their own twenty yard line, five seconds left,
they'll probably take a knee and that game is going
to be head two overtime extra point.

Speaker 1 (02:07:02):
Good. Eagles leave the Commanders thirty one to twenty four.
That game's not open.

Speaker 3 (02:07:05):
So it's twenty three and Sam Howells put up four
scores for this red or excuse me, this Commander's offense.
This has been a good day for Washington, especially when
you remember they got the absolute breaks beat off them
last week by the the Bills. Sam Howe throw three
interceptions a week ago against the Bills defense. And they're
on the road in Philadelphia, and yeah, I mean this,

(02:07:29):
they've posed a real risk to to unseating. Philadelphia is
the top record in the NFC, and so Richardson coming
out with the Colts offense, Yeah, this is going to
be an overtime game. They took a knee and that
is it for regulation in Innneapolis where the score is
tied twenty three, All Colts rams.

Speaker 2 (02:07:48):
By the way, we're broadcasting live from the tire rech
dot com studios tyre rech dot com. We're gonna help
get you there in a matched selection, fast free shipping
free road has a protection over ten thousand recommended installers
tyre rech dot com. The way tire by should be
all right. So over time in that game. Meanwhile, the
Bills and Dolphins, we've been quiet because nothing's happened since
we last spoke of this game. It's over two minute warning,

(02:08:11):
Bills blowing out the Dolphins forty eight to twenty. Right now,
Josh Allen twenty one to twenty five, three hundred and
twenty yards, four touchdowns, no picks. That is a perfect
passer rating of one fifty eight point three step on digs,
six catches, one hundred and twenty yards, and three scores. Meanwhile,
Tua was off to a hot start and then cooled
off twenty five to thirty five, two hundred and eighty

(02:08:33):
two yards, one touchdown, and one pick. So the Dolphins
world beaters a week ago against the Broncos, not so
much today. This has been a thorough beatdown courtesy of
their division rival, the Buffalo Bills.

Speaker 3 (02:08:47):
Yeah, pretty pretty good job I would say by Sean
McDermott and his staff limiting the damage that Miami was
able to do outside of the first quarter. The Rams
have won the toss. They elect to receive the football first.
The Colts decide to defend the side of the field
that they finished up on in regulation, and so it
is going to be Rams football. Matthew Stafford grabbing his

(02:09:10):
helmet on the sideline again the way it goes you
kick a field goal. Colts got an opportunity to answer.

Speaker 2 (02:09:17):
And now the Commanders have the ball down thirty one
to twenty four, and they believe might have a first
down right now. So don't count out this Commander's team,
you can't. Sam Hall has been outstanding in this game
and they have been moving the ball. The clock is
running though minute twenty. They have just one timeout remaining

(02:09:39):
the Commanders. But they're near a midfield right now and
a big sack for the Eagles forty yard line that
is going to hurt.

Speaker 1 (02:09:49):
It looks like the Commanders are going to take a timeout,
I believe to stop the clock. I would think that
would be smart.

Speaker 2 (02:09:58):
That would be smart. You don't want the clock running
down after a sack. So you're at your own forty
yard line not out of the question.

Speaker 3 (02:10:05):
So look Ron Rivera for an offseason of turmoil, you know,
several times kind of sticking his foot in his mouth
regarding Eric b Enemy and his treatment of the players.
You know, it was just a very weird forty eight
hours that got blown up during a dead period in
the NFL where stories like that become topical.

Speaker 1 (02:10:26):
Has come out. The Gates look two and one football team.

Speaker 3 (02:10:31):
The only loss was last week to the Bills, and
they have an opportunity here against the Eagles either way.
Two and two especially the way they've looked with Sam
Howell quarterback. There's some trust in him as a young
quarterback here in Washington. I'm pretty impressed by the way
he's been able to compose himself and bounce back after

(02:10:51):
really a tough, tough loss to the Bills.

Speaker 2 (02:10:54):
By the way, big win for the Buccaneers. It's a
final on the road against the Saints. Sort Derek Carr
Camara was back. It was all Bucks today, twenty six
to nine at the Superdome. Is Baker Mayfield through for
two hundred and forty six yards and three touchdowns? How
about an early candidate for Comeback Player of the Year.

Speaker 3 (02:11:13):
Yeah, Well, Baker Mayfield is one of those guys. He's
almost like a cockroach.

Speaker 1 (02:11:17):
You can't kill him.

Speaker 3 (02:11:18):
Height good analogy. He will survive nuclear blast. He will
be He'll be the last scavenger roaming the planet after
all of us are long forgotten. He is the type
of guy who is going to scratch and scrounge and
fight every inch of the way because his life has
been the underdog story twice, a walk on, a Heisman
winner in college, a first overall draft pick to a

(02:11:41):
mess of an organization in Cleveland, left with a chip
on his shoulder and a giant one has bounced around
the league. Now Carolina Los Angeles last year found a
home in Tampa Bay, and he's looking good.

Speaker 2 (02:11:51):
Commanders now facing a fourth and two with a clock
running forty four forty three. They need a first down
right now. They're at the forty five yard line of
the Eagles. Is gonna scramble, he throws, He's going to
get the first down and more. This ball's inside the
thirty yard line, inside the thirty yard line, and the
clock stops. Is a flag on the play, goodness flag

(02:12:12):
on the play thirty five seconds to go. Commanders trailing
the Eagles thirty one to twenty four, and it is
a defensive hold that will be declined. So first down
inside the thirty yard line for the Commanders. We're just
going to keep it right here again. They have no timeouts,
remaining down seven. Commanders led for most of this game.
The Eagles came back to take the lead, but it

(02:12:34):
is not over yet. Meanwhile, the Rams with the ball
first in overtime and they are moving right now.

Speaker 3 (02:12:40):
Huka Nakua with the big reception theot what do you hear?
He's had Yeah, he's really been impressive. It was Diami
Brown on the sideline catch for Sam Howell, first and
ten opportunity on the eagle side of the flay. Yeah, good,
good decision. They're being chased by a stout pass rush
for the Philadelphia Tea.

Speaker 1 (02:12:59):
He stops the clock. Twenty eight seconds to go right now.

Speaker 2 (02:13:02):
Again, the Commanders need a touchdown to move this game
in overtime, or maybe they go for two in the
win on the road against the Egos. That would be something,
but they got to get in the end zone first.
All right, Rams are at their own forty seven yard line.
They have a second and eight right now. Of course,
if the Rams score a touchdown, this game is over.
Field goal would give the Colts an opportunity to match

(02:13:25):
or outdo them. Colts were down twenty three to nothing
this game and came all the way back thanks to
two two point of versions by the way along the
way to tie this game of twenty three. Sam How's
passes complete and it's down to the twenty two yard line.
Problem is the clock is running eighteen.

Speaker 1 (02:13:42):
Fine, Erry McLaury, fifteen fourteen the clock, you gotta go,
come on, get there in ten. They have maybe time
for what you gotta go to the end zone. Almost
at this point they get out of the ten. Wow McLaury.

Speaker 3 (02:13:55):
The second of the sideline toe taps falls out of
bounds first and ten. Just a quick out pattern in
front of the deep coverage of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Speaker 2 (02:14:05):
Well, you have time for one play. Basically, there's five
seconds to go.

Speaker 1 (02:14:08):
You had no choice. You had no choice. It was
a situation. What do you do right now?

Speaker 2 (02:14:13):
See you got the ball at the ten yard line,
five seconds to go. All right, you can't take a chance.
There'll be two plays. You gotta throw in the end zone.

Speaker 1 (02:14:21):
Absolutely do.

Speaker 3 (02:14:22):
I'm going I'm spreading it the whole field out. I'm
going empty backfield. I'm getting as many receivers in the
end zone or just shy of the end zone as
I possibly can.

Speaker 2 (02:14:31):
Here's where we go right now. So this is it
for the commander. It's been an impressive drive. Sam Hel,
I'll tell you what he's He's opened a few eyes.
If you wonder about Sam Hel, He's a gamer, Okay gamer.
It looks like the Eagles have called a time out right.

Speaker 3 (02:14:46):
Now, second time out used in this second half, and
smart decision because Eric the enemy. If there's anything he's
proven alongside Andy Reid in Kansas City is situationally, the
playbook is excellent right down in the low red zone,
third and short opportunities. Although kind of shocked me that
they went for that Logan Thomas short yardage. You know,

(02:15:07):
QB snap twice, But okay, setting that aside for a moment.
There's creativity there. So take a second, catch your breath,
talk to your defense if you're the Philadelphia Eagles, and
get set for this last play.

Speaker 2 (02:15:18):
Meanwhile, the Rams are on the move. They're at the
Colts forty yard line right now. We're an overtime tied
at twenty three. Again, a Rams touchdown would end this
game seven forty one to go in the overtime period.
All right, we're watching the Commanders right now.

Speaker 4 (02:15:34):
We also have a touchdown from Justin Herbert in that
game that has started.

Speaker 3 (02:15:38):
Oh wow, there you go, So, Mammy Garopolo board earlyly
against the Raiders.

Speaker 1 (02:15:43):
Is Brian Hoyer starting for the Raiders today?

Speaker 4 (02:15:45):
I believe it was reported at Aidan O'Connell's said.

Speaker 1 (02:15:48):
They're gonna go. I was gonna say if if Rich's
teammate roommate was going to start. There'd be a story.
Here we go with the Commanders the throat of the
end zone.

Speaker 2 (02:15:55):
It's short and christy, okay, they have a second and
go first of all, that would have been a disaster
because it was shorter of the goal line.

Speaker 1 (02:16:02):
What are you doing?

Speaker 3 (02:16:03):
You can't throw that football there, That's what I'm saying.
You got to get all those routes at the goal
line or in the end zone. Rams get a first
down on a river's rush. And so, man, I'll tell
you what. This Rams team showing a lot of guts
on the road, especially after giving up an enormous lead
in overtime.

Speaker 1 (02:16:20):
Here all right, Well they have to get in the
end zone. Ended, all right?

Speaker 2 (02:16:24):
So the Eagles still have to stop one more play
and here we go. We're at the ten yard line,
two seconds left, final play for the Commanders and a
chance to send this to overtime. And the pass is cut, hot, cut,
Oh my goodness, hot, and the Washington Commanders are it

(02:16:44):
within one. It is a thirty one to thirty ball
gameson on the receivers.

Speaker 3 (02:16:51):
Call in the offense for the two point conversion in
the win on the road against Bods.

Speaker 1 (02:16:57):
Just collapsed in his cherry camp Bellie. I say, go
for it. You're on the road. Sam Howe threw a bullet,
got you Onny, Don't worry about Oz, just go for
the whole me. Go for it on the road, dude. No,
they got the extra point team up. If they miss this, lookout.

Speaker 8 (02:17:14):
It's like, look at this Rams Colts game. Like the
Colts point is up and it is good. We're gonna
go to overtime now. Eagles and Commanders tied at thirty one.

Speaker 3 (02:17:24):
Sam Howe, man, Wow, that kid's got some onions on him.

Speaker 1 (02:17:27):
That was a dry wow.

Speaker 2 (02:17:31):
All right, can we take a breath right now? We
are keeping our eyes on the Rams and Colts. They're
still in overtime. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.

Speaker 7 (02:17:40):
Five point fifty five on a stop overtime clock.

Speaker 1 (02:17:43):
Stafford Ready calls for the snap. Here comes the rush.
He throws right.

Speaker 7 (02:17:47):
Side alone, hits Pookah at the five to the zone
a walk off winter Pookah, look Coolah. In overtime, twenty
two yards to get the Rams at two and two.

Speaker 1 (02:18:02):
That's the Rams radio network.

Speaker 2 (02:18:05):
The fabulous rookie Nku gets it done as the Rams
escape after blowing a twenty three to nothing lead to
the Colts. They went at twenty nine to twenty three,
the walk off touchdown in overtime. Once again, this is
Fox Sports Red Zone Radio Steve Iron rich Ornberger with you.
We are live from the ti iraq dot com studios.

(02:18:26):
What a game that was. And by the way, after
the game, a lot of the Colts players are going
into Koua congratulating the rookie on his play. And I
saw Matthew Stafford spending some time with Anthony Richardson, who
led that amazing comeback by the Colts down twenty three nothing.
This rookie, Anthony Richardson is the real deal. I mean,
he is something special moving forward for the Colts. But

(02:18:47):
it's the Rams that get the win. Meanwhile, of course
we got the Commanders and Eagles in overtime. And where
are we right now in this one, mister Eagles fan.
I was not going to play the Commander's hind touchdown.
It was going to spare you that.

Speaker 1 (02:19:03):
Your break, hearts and her feelings.

Speaker 4 (02:19:04):
Over here in this studio, they are currently looking at
a third and five reception. They called it, they called
it didn't complete on the field, but it's under booth
review right now, I don't know Commanders, yes, yes, the commander.
I don't know if there's enough to overturn the call
on the field from what I.

Speaker 3 (02:19:19):
Played under review, still on their side of the field,
by the way, at the Washington thirty years right.

Speaker 2 (02:19:23):
So obviously if this is a fourth down, they will
be kicking the ball away.

Speaker 1 (02:19:26):
We got it.

Speaker 2 (02:19:28):
Yeah, Only Brandon Staley does.

Speaker 1 (02:19:32):
Say, yeah, yeah, we saw the Chargers do that against
the Vikings. It's fine, guys, you'll win, okay, just like
the Chargers did.

Speaker 2 (02:19:38):
All right, So Chargers leading the Raiders seven or nothing
early in that game. A couple of games, just kicking off,
Patriots at the Cowboys, Cardinals at the forty nine Ers.
The Cowboys come in off that disastrous loss to Arizona.

Speaker 3 (02:19:53):
I mean, wow, yeah, that's that's a stumble that that
you didn't expect. But then again, you start rewinding and
you start saying, well, twenty twenty hindsight, they beat both
of the New York teams, which both especially now you're
thinking of the Giants and the Jets both very differently.

Speaker 2 (02:20:10):
Arizona season start of the year as the worst team
in the league. They're over under wins with four and
a half, no other team was hanging there. What I'm
saying is we overrated the Cowboys. What I'm saying is
those wins against those New York teams, yet while they
were significant, they they probably weren't as good as they appeared.

(02:20:31):
And I think that was proven against the Cardinals. All right,
let's find out what's trending right now. Is everyone's we're like, wow, already, Yeah,
we had we had a long segment there.

Speaker 1 (02:20:42):
Mind see is we're trying to get to the end
of that. This is Nute Commander's game with the Eagles
the Rams, and we had the cold, so all.

Speaker 10 (02:20:51):
Of this, but this game has been so fun to watch.
Incomplete pass to Terry McLaurin. But he stepped on I
think they I don't know who the defender was. He
stepped on his arm and they said his toe while
he stepped on the arm was touching the edge of
the line.

Speaker 1 (02:21:08):
Wow, but he was stepping on his arm. Oh my god.

Speaker 10 (02:21:10):
Like if he wasn't if his arm wasn't there, I
wonder if he would.

Speaker 3 (02:21:13):
Have been Okay, oh my gosh, So he would have
been in battles.

Speaker 11 (02:21:17):
And it's like barely like you do.

Speaker 10 (02:21:18):
See the toe is like touching the line, but he's
on his arm like it looked bizarre.

Speaker 11 (02:21:24):
I oh, so close, yet so far.

Speaker 10 (02:21:27):
Still a tie game, but the Eagles have the ball
and if they get a field goal they win it.

Speaker 11 (02:21:31):
Thirty one thirty one is the score.

Speaker 10 (02:21:33):
The Rams survived, and I say survived because the Colts
erased a twenty three point deficit. They went into ot
but Matthew Stafford finds Pooka Nakua in the end zone
to win it twenty nine to twenty three. Kyron Williams
also had a great game for the Rams twenty five carries,
one hundred and two yards and two touchdowns.

Speaker 11 (02:21:51):
The Bills gave a reality check to the Miami Dolphins.
They beat them forty eight to twenty.

Speaker 10 (02:21:56):
Josh Allen nearly perfect twenty one of twenty five three
hundre twenty yards, four touchdowns, Stefon Diggs six receptions, one
hundred and twenty yards and three touchdowns. The Texans dominated
the Steelers thirty to six. The Buccaneers with another victory
over the Saints twenty six to nine. Mike Evans did
leave the game with a hamstring injury. For the Buccaneers.

(02:22:17):
The Ravens topped the Browns twenty eight to three. The
Broncos with their first victory of the day, erasing a
twenty of the season a twenty one point deficit, beating
the Bears thirty one to twenty nine.

Speaker 11 (02:22:28):
Chicago is ozho to four. The Titans with the twenty
seven to three victory.

Speaker 10 (02:22:32):
Over the Bengals Joe Burrow twenty of thirty for just
one hundred and sixty five yards. That's it. Vikings have
won their first game of the season, beating the Panthers
twenty one to thirteen Carolina oh and four to start
the season in London. Earlier today, the Jaguars defeated the
Falcons twenty three to seven, and the game's currently going
on in the afternoon time. Chargers have scored first against

(02:22:54):
the Raiders at home, seven zero late in the first quarter.
The other games just got going Patriots, Cowboys scoreless the first,
Cardinals forty nine, Ers scoreless in the first And in
the NBA today, the Blazers trader drew Holiday to the
Celtics in exchange for Robert Williams.

Speaker 11 (02:23:08):
Malcolm Brogden.

Speaker 10 (02:23:09):
Golden State's twenty twenty four first round pick and the
Celtics unprotected twenty twenty nine first round pick in Major
League Baseball book. Buck Shalwalter announced that he will not
be returning as the Mets manager. And let's take a
look at that Al West Race. The Mariners are beating
the Rangers one zero, bottom of the six inning, Astros
up on the Diamondbacks six to zero, bottom of the

(02:23:30):
fifth inning. Astros win, Rangers lose their tie, Houston gets
the tiebreaker and wins the division.

Speaker 1 (02:23:38):
Wow, yeah, going on going on.

Speaker 2 (02:23:42):
We do know the teams that'll be in the playoffs
in Major League Baseball.

Speaker 10 (02:23:45):
Sanders exactly exactly which obviously you want.

Speaker 11 (02:23:49):
To win the division.

Speaker 1 (02:23:50):
But Diamonds making the playoffs, I.

Speaker 11 (02:23:52):
Mean, good for them.

Speaker 1 (02:23:54):
Yeah, good for them. See how they're celebrated. They all
hoped in the pool. Yeah, I read, I've actually been
in that pool. You you don't want to be in
that pool. I'm guessing there's a lot of urine in that.
You do not want to be in that pool. But
I've been in that pool.

Speaker 11 (02:24:08):
Go bigger, go home.

Speaker 1 (02:24:10):
That's how it is, all right, Monzi.

Speaker 2 (02:24:12):
Phenomenal unbelievable stuff going on around again. Fox Sports, Red
Zone Radio so the Eagles have the ball, they gonna
have to do something about this push play. I know
they have reviewed it after the season decided to allow
it to be But to me, it's sort of like
the PGA Tour with the brace putter. They finally said
enough's enough. He can't do that anymore. It just doesn't

(02:24:36):
look good. Yeah, I mean the Eagles. I don't blame
the Eagles are taking full advantage there seemingly the only
team that's figured this thing out. But I don't think
it should be illegal play.

Speaker 1 (02:24:47):
But otherwise I don't mind it.

Speaker 4 (02:24:50):
I don't I don't think we should punish the Eagles
for having a quarterback that can squat five hundred pounds
in the best offensive line in football.

Speaker 1 (02:24:56):
Well, he doesn't need any help, but he gets pushed in.

Speaker 8 (02:25:00):
I think the concern is going to be and we
haven't had it happen yet, but like if someone gets
hurt up this is this is a rugby play.

Speaker 1 (02:25:07):
This is basically a rugby scrub.

Speaker 8 (02:25:09):
Flying different when you're wearing like pads and hard helmets
versus what rugby players wear, which is basically shirts.

Speaker 3 (02:25:17):
This I'll answer this by just letting you guys know
from playing the offensive line position, the center position. The
least damage you're taking is when you're facing somebody who's
directly in front of you. That contact is relatively minimal momentum.

Speaker 1 (02:25:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:25:33):
Yeah, I mean, like when you're taking on a linebacker
who's hard filling from five yards and he's got a
three step you know, head start, and he lowers his
head into your helmet. Man, that rattles your brain. When
you're on the outside, pulling on the outside and you're
looking to you know, hunt down a linebacker and he
rocks you.

Speaker 1 (02:25:51):
I mean, those are the collisions that you worry about.

Speaker 4 (02:25:53):
Those.

Speaker 3 (02:25:53):
I mean, those are minimal rugby scrums. Nobody gets injured
in those, So I have no problem from a player
safety standpoint.

Speaker 1 (02:25:59):
And then the other thing about it is it extends drives.

Speaker 3 (02:26:03):
This is what everybody wants their fantasy football team lighting
up aj Brown having two hundred yards of offense like.

Speaker 2 (02:26:09):
Well, no other team cities that have figured this play
out except the Eagles. I've seen other teams sort of
try it, and they don't do it like the Eagles do.
By the way, the Raiders on their opening drive after
the Chargers scored are now at the Chargers eight yard line,
first and goal.

Speaker 1 (02:26:23):
Eight and O'Connell. He's looking good. He looked good in
the preseason for the Raiders. And the thing I always
look for quarterbacks is decision making. Quick decision making, get
the get rid of the ball, something that brock Party
does so beautifully for the forty nine ers, and we're
seeing it on this opening drive. And wow, right up
the middle, touchdown, Raiders. Look at that boom, Josh Jacobs.

(02:26:45):
Did he get in there? Yeah, he went right up
the middle.

Speaker 2 (02:26:48):
And the Raiders are an extra point a way of
tying this game up against the Chargers. So no Jimmy garoppolo,
but at least on this opening drive, the Raiders look good.

Speaker 3 (02:26:58):
Yeah, Aid and O'Connell again, like you said, it looks good.

Speaker 1 (02:27:02):
Wait a second might have been.

Speaker 3 (02:27:05):
A half yard scoring plays, So we'll see if they
give it to him, you know. Eight and O'Connell, what
you said is true. Yeah, that knee was down. That's
gonna be a right there half yard line, half yard line.
The script right, Josh McDaniel's longtime offensive coordinator. The first
ten players of any offensive game plan are scripted. Yes,
and so if things go well, if you stay on

(02:27:26):
the chains if you're doing a nice job. By the way,
a fifty four yard attempt for the win in overtime,
Jake Elliott lining up for the kick in Philadelphia and
it is good. Thirty four to thirty one victory Philadelphia
is walk off the field.

Speaker 1 (02:27:43):
Boy, that was dicey. Though those commanders, well, I.

Speaker 2 (02:27:46):
Mean again, we talk about a four to oh Eagles
team and each week they seem to get worse.

Speaker 4 (02:27:52):
Well, they there, they got backed up because aj Brown
ran the wrong route and was not where Jalen Hurts
expecting to be, so that they call them for intentional grounding. Yeah,
tradition back ten yards.

Speaker 8 (02:28:02):
Traditional games are always weird, and I think we should
have probably expected this. Also, Seeam Howell does look like
they have their quarterback and both they do.

Speaker 2 (02:28:10):
By the way, the forty nine Ers didn't take long
getting on the board a Christian McCaffrey run.

Speaker 1 (02:28:15):
So h the forty nine Ers, who at least.

Speaker 2 (02:28:18):
At this point looked like the team to beat in
the NFC the early seven to nothing lead over the Cardinals. Meanwhile,
the Cowboys got a field goal on their opening drive.
They leave the Pats Pats by a score of three
to nothing. By the way, Patriots are one and two
right now. And by the way, the Patriots are zero
and two at home.

Speaker 3 (02:28:38):
They just stuffed Tony Pollard in a third and one
try at the one yard line against the big Dallas
playflod Patriots. Oh my goodness, how about that move? That
was a big long pass down the sideline to Douglas.
So mac Jones connects, gets it on the Dallas.

Speaker 1 (02:28:56):
Side of the field.

Speaker 3 (02:28:57):
So the Dallas Cowboys going this long, sustained drive for
about five or six minutes to open the game. Patriots
hold them to three and now quick strike. They're down
on the end other end of the field. Mac Jones
a little bit of a scrambled drill there, ranging out
to his non throwing side and throws a dime on
the run.

Speaker 2 (02:29:17):
Heyt and O'Connell, by the way, on the keeper gets
the touchdown for the Raiders. So the Raiders an extra
point away of tying this game against the Chargers. Uh
it is a seven to six soon to be. I
would guess have we had a missed kick extra point today?

Speaker 1 (02:29:33):
I don't think so. I do not believe we have. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
I looking for the one which and by the way
last year at this time we used to have what
three or four every single Sunday. That extra point is good.
So seven all now Raiders and the Charge.

Speaker 3 (02:29:48):
The weather has been better in a lot of these
football games this year. I remember last year is it
was sloppy in a lot of different the weather, rain,
and a lot of a lot of issues there. So
maybe that helps either way. This Raiders team, I'm sure
a lot of people's expectations were fairly low, having your
backup quarterback get the start against a Chargers team that,

(02:30:09):
while disappointing so far this year in their play, is
still stacked both offensively and defensively. So a tigh ballgame
in Las Vegas.

Speaker 2 (02:30:17):
Well A and O'Connell's start the game three for three
thirty eight yards. On the other side, Justin two for
five eleven yards, two for five eleven yards.

Speaker 3 (02:30:26):
He just stiff armed an interior defensive lineman on the
last drive and absolutely ragged all day.

Speaker 1 (02:30:31):
How about that? Justin Herbert is.

Speaker 3 (02:30:33):
One of those quarterbacks. So you look at and you say, yeah,
you signed the big extension with the Chargers and it'll
be there for the next whatever handful of years, four
or five year contract. Yeah, but you think about what
could have been if if Justin Herbert was drafted by
one of these other squads.

Speaker 1 (02:30:48):
I mean, it's it's it's a waste of talent. Well
we're getting it. We're getting there.

Speaker 5 (02:30:55):
Man.

Speaker 3 (02:30:55):
If the Chargers find a way to miss the postseason
this year, I think you can say that with some
certainty that a good portion of the early part of
his career, where he was obviously inexpensive when he was
first drafted, had been wasted and a windows shot on
the Chargers because of poor situational coaching and bad and

(02:31:16):
I mean bad defense since he's been there.

Speaker 2 (02:31:19):
All right, See, Patriots are going to have to settle
for a field goal attemp. We got six forty four
to go in the first quarter, twenty four yard temp,
A little chip shot here for the Pats, who have
lost both home games this year, but looking for their
second win on the road.

Speaker 1 (02:31:33):
The field goal attempt is good. So three all seven
forty nine to go in the first quarter in that game.

Speaker 2 (02:31:40):
All right, we'll continue on. We got three games going
on after a huge wave of some very entertaining football
early on. For all your NFL news, keep it right here.
This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.

Speaker 12 (02:31:53):
A fifty four yard of attempt by Take Elliott, hold
your breath, ball of spot. Up kick is away and
the kick is the Eagles winsdom. The Eagles win, lights out,
joy will it doesn't with us flour field goal.

Speaker 2 (02:32:13):
Of the day that is ninety four WIP Eagles Radio Network.

Fox Sports Red Zone Radio Steve Harbin and Rich Ornberger
live from the ty iraq dot com studios. It's really
a five man crew here. We got boat producing, we
got Monsei with the updates. We got Chris on the board.
Chris could rest today because he's lying safely in with

(02:32:56):
a win this week. What a morning, guys, I mean, seriously,
I mean we had all kinds of excitement, a couple
overtime games, some shocking scores today again I still cannot
get over that Bears loss to the Broncos up twenty
eight to seven, playing an incredible game and they find
a way to lose.

Speaker 3 (02:33:16):
Well, there's season's over. I mean because think of it
from so many different standpoints. Wildcard, no A division, certainly.

Speaker 2 (02:33:24):
Not fourteen game or losing streak, how long? How many
teams lose fourteen in a row and the coach still
has a job.

Speaker 3 (02:33:30):
I that's the point what you're going to see now.
Yet a defensive coordinator have to resign suddenly. We still
don't have word on exactly what happened there. And then yeah,
personal behavior, right, Matt Eberflus, who has, like you said,
gone on this insane losing streak and you have public

(02:33:52):
mutiny happening at the quarterback position. I don't care what
anybody says. You know, Justin Fields said what he said.
He said he doesn't feel like he's being coach the
right way in Chicago, and I don't.

Speaker 2 (02:34:03):
Blame them again. So here was the thing. They blow
the twenty eight to seven lead. It was a fumble
return for a touchdown, a tie. The Bears go right
down the field. They're at like the twenty two yard line.
They have a third and five, third and five, and
at that point Fields had three incomplete passes.

Speaker 1 (02:34:21):
They ran the ball up the middle to set up
a fourth down. They called a time out. They ran
to play up the middle.

Speaker 2 (02:34:27):
They got stuffed, handing the ball back to the Broncos
that got the field goal that ended up winning the game. Again,
how many coaches survive a fourteen game losing streak.

Speaker 1 (02:34:38):
Not by the way Bears play on Thursday night as well,
and the Bears have a short week.

Speaker 3 (02:34:42):
Christian McCaffrey just set a franchise record with his last
touchdown thirteen straight games. Now he's superseded Jerry Rice in
his short time to San Francisco forty nine.

Speaker 1 (02:34:52):
Do you know who I'm talking about? Jerry Rice?

Speaker 2 (02:34:54):
He also played running back. Can I tell you a
quick story. I was covering the celebrity golf tournament. I
used to do that for a number of years. So
I'm about to leave my room in the morning, and
I hear somebody running down the hall outside of my hotel.
I get here, you have, So I open up the
door and I look to my right and it's Jerry Rice.

(02:35:15):
He's running sprint because he's in the golf tournament. He's
running sprints in the hallway of this and he's not
even playing anymore. And I'm like, and I just you know,
I like, I like my friend. I'm like, Jerry, what
are you doing to just getting a little work out in.

Speaker 1 (02:35:28):
I'll tell you what. You know what that gives me?

Speaker 3 (02:35:31):
Like it's reminiscent of the Russell Wilson eight hour flight
to London where he's doing high knees in the aisles, Like,
you know what, Look, you know, sometimes it's for you,
sometimes it's for everyone else. That that one you can
find you can find it home. Well, first of all,
you're doing it in a hotel. If I could hear
other people.

Speaker 1 (02:35:49):
In the hallway, can hear you running? All right? He
saw the long straight when he went for it.

Speaker 3 (02:35:54):
Look, I mean, Jerry Rice is one of the greatest
receivers play the game, and arguably, and you're talking about
great company with Montana and Steve Young, but one of,
if not the best nine.

Speaker 1 (02:36:05):
Records will never be Broke Who's ever lived.

Speaker 3 (02:36:07):
However, we say that, and I say it honestly with
a slight tongue in cheek, because Brock party, I mean, you.

Speaker 2 (02:36:16):
Put Brock party in the conversation with and Steve Young
and young and we've got to win at least the
Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (02:36:22):
No, no, no, no, no, coordinate him. Now are you
kidding me? Why are we waiting number thirteen? I mean,
I honestly, let me check his numbers. Drop down is
four for fifty yards, four for four fifty one yards.

Speaker 3 (02:36:36):
To start this game against the card I say, I say,
make the mold and start pouring the bronze and call Canton.

Speaker 2 (02:36:42):
By the way, speaking of canon, Christian McCaffrey seven carries
thirty three yards and a score.

Speaker 1 (02:36:47):
Two catches for twenty two yards.

Speaker 3 (02:36:48):
Yeah, he's okay, as it turns out, number twenty three
of this nine.

Speaker 1 (02:36:52):
Especially in this offense.

Speaker 3 (02:36:53):
Yeah, although we just got stuff there on third and four.
So uh, the Cardinals. Cardinals are turning into a tricky out.

Speaker 1 (02:37:02):
This team.

Speaker 3 (02:37:03):
Jonathan Gannon kind of a kind of a strange guy,
but I think he's got this team playing some fired
up football, especially watched defensively, and remember how good the
Eagles were defensively a year ago.

Speaker 1 (02:37:16):
They do a lot of things right, and they're playing
against a very very good offense. All right, the Chargers
are on the move. Again, by the way, with Mike
Williams out for the year, Quintin Johnson, who's basically a
carbon copy of Mike Williams, the draft pick out of TCU,
he has caught an eighteen yard pass in this game.

(02:37:36):
Keenan Allen already a couple of catches coming off that
eighteen reception game he had against the Vikings last week. Yeah,
key on.

Speaker 3 (02:37:44):
Keenan Allens obviously is always going to get the football.
But Quentin Johnson and Joshu Palmer, who scored a touchdown
in their victory over the Vikings last week, to get
a lot more touches in this offensive passing game because
that Mike Williams injury, which look, Mike Williams has been
injured a lot as a Los Angeles Charger.

Speaker 1 (02:38:02):
Has he played his last game as a Charger? Now?

Speaker 3 (02:38:06):
When did they sign that contract? Was it two years ago?
Now he's going to finish out that contract.

Speaker 2 (02:38:11):
It's unfortunate because when he's on the field, he is
almost impossible to cover.

Speaker 3 (02:38:15):
No, Yeah, I mean, he's the type of threat you
want downfield because he's so fast and he has rare
size considering his speed and great ball skills. So whether
it's in you know, short area like the low red zone.
You have an opportunity to throw it up to Big
Mike and then on these sideline routes or some of
these routes down the middle of the field, he can

(02:38:36):
stretch the defense out. And obviously Number thirteen Keenan Allen
has profited greatly during their time working together.

Speaker 1 (02:38:43):
As a result, all.

Speaker 2 (02:38:44):
Right charges first and goal at the seven, and we
have an incomplete pass right there by the way. Austin
Eckler out for the third consecutive game.

Speaker 3 (02:38:53):
Well, again, this was a large contingent of running backs
and several who are injured to start the season. Saquon Barkley,
Austin Eckler, who we're talking about their value not being
appropriately applied this offseason. A lot of them looking for
big extensions and many of them having to sign shorter term,
incentive laden contracts. And I think you see why now

(02:39:16):
Saquon Barkley hasn't played, injured his ankle, Eckler with a hammy.

Speaker 1 (02:39:22):
It's a problem running backs. They are vulnerable.

Speaker 2 (02:39:25):
And we got a sack for the Raiders right now.
Back to the fifteen yard line. Max Crosby getting the
job done. He's one of the better ones out there,
all right. Unbelievable day, Richie, unbelievable day. Still a lot
more to come, So don't go anywhere. We got it
for you right here on Fox Sports Radio.
