It is a Sunday night. We're watching this listen. I'm
(00:32):
a Raiders fan, die hard, but I still can't believe
this game didn't get flexed out. I mean, this has
been an absolute snoozer, but the Raiders, Yeah, how about that? Well,
I'm a realist. I'm not like you. I realize we're
winning and that the Jets are terrible. Now. The great
thing is we get to play an overrated Miami Dolphins
team next Saturday. So by the time this thing is
(00:55):
over next week, the Raiders could be at six and
what would that be? Five? Six and five telling into
a showdown with Kansas City. It'll be the win tonight
and then they'll win next week against Miami. We're in
great shape. Man. What was it like having the quote
unquote day off? No stress for your team? Today. How
nice it was weird, you know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
It's a different way of watching football because you don't
stress about your team.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
You're not looking at the score.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
If you can't get it on TV, you look at
the red zone channel, or you're following along on your
phone or something like that.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
It really is.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
It feels kind of like a day off, to be
honest with you. You're just kind of kicking back and laughing
at everybody. It's kind of like when you finish your
test early and you turn it into the teacher and
then everybody else is still taking the test.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
You feel kind of relaxed, you.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
Know what I mean. So I do have a question
for you, though, to kind of magnify the selfish, selfish
nature of this thinking genius every single time now already
puts these runs, these rundowns together in Roman numeral order
that yes, I don't even think our producer looks at
and I'll give a little skim I think you more
do it as a thing for yourself. But I did
have to look today because I was curious. Let's see,
(02:04):
we have to get all the way down to oh yes,
roman numeral six before I could even talk about like
my team. Meanwhile, if the Dolphins were playing, it's Roman
numeral number one and it dominates the whole show. That's
the way it's got to go.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
I mean, you always want to talk about the best teams,
the most dynamic teams, the best and all that bologna
about the Ravens being the best team in football. I
guess the welearned that real fast. How that was just
like we did about the Dolphins last No, no, no, no,
we goarned that that. You tried to shove that down
my throat last week.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
So no, but it's a facked I mean, why why
are you not allowing facts to be crammed down your throats?
You got you got beat by a superior squad in
Kansas City, and you've lost three games. Now, Baltimore, we
got over our skis maybe a little bit, but again,
it's not college football, it's the NFL. Teams are gonna
lose games. The last time a team went undefeated was
(02:58):
what the seventy two Dolphins.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
Seventy two Dolphins? Baby, I predicted that. Yeah, you call
that for nine. I almost head from the womb, but
you were you died then. But yeah, let's start there.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
Well, this game goes on, We're heading down the home
stretch Raiders trying to grind out a final drive. Again
just on this game. Real quick, I said, let's go
to the AFC North, But real quick, it hasn't been pretty.
An o'connos looked like a rookie. Uh, Zach has looked
Zach Taylor's look terrible, or Zach Wilson has looked terrible.
(03:30):
I don't really know what happened after the first quarter
to the New York Jets, and I kind of felt
like they had something cooking with Breesce Hall and they
just stopped. And I have no idea why, But the
Raiders are in position to win this game. And again
I'll say it again, I have no idea how this
wasn't flex and how we weren't watching maybe like Lions
Chargers here tonight. Yeah, I'm not sure.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
Maybe everybody's reaching their you know, they're a limit or
something like that, or they're waiting. I'm not sure why,
unless you know, they just go has good ratings anyway,
is the Jets, it is the Raiders. So if you're
gonna have a dog game, at least have good ratings
with it, you.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
Know, right, And in markets teams that have a national
I guess you could say draw right, and I'm sure
it'll it'll draw well tonight because literally there is nothing
else going on, but it's it's not been the prettiest football.
But I don't care. The Raiders win the game, all
be happy. Let's talk about the story.
Speaker 4 (04:23):
We're not starting with by Wildcats over Duke. Okay, go ahead,
I'm sorry about that.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Let's start with the story that is the wildest story
in the NFL today. Yes, what in the world happened
in that AFC North. The teams that ended up winning
were not the teams that we expected to win in
the North today. And the teams that looked very vulnerable
and very beatable were the teams that we just started
at Christien And basically we claimed Baltimore is the best
(04:51):
team in the NFL. We proclaimed Cincinnati being back and
Joe Burrow has figured it out. Now, all of a sudden, Arnie,
the Bengals lose a game that, I mean, Joe Burrow
looked terrible today. I watched a lot of that game.
The game was on the red zone quite a bit.
The Browns won a game where suddenly Deshan Watson came
to life right half six, right off the bat. Yeah,
(05:12):
that pick six. I was laughing at that, to be
honest with you. The Steelers, I was a pretty good
We got that game in my market for some reason.
We got the Steelers and the Packers. But as odd
as the day was, I still cannot believe that Browns
win over the Ravens and just how complete control the
Ravens appeared to have in that game at one point
and they completely let it get away from them.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
Chris, I'm gonna have to add the numbers back up
again because when I saw it, I thought the Ravens
out of fourteen point lead and they were cruising to
like a twenty one or twenty eight point victory. I
still don't know how the Browns came back in that game.
And by the way, when when you brought up the
Bengals and Joe Burrow, yeah he went a below average game.
I'm not gonna say absolutely terrible, certainly below average for
his standards. But if we do that, they were taken
(05:56):
away from really what the Texas have done and c J.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
Stroud it is Mark. They're in the playoffs right now.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
Do you know that the Texans, I believe are like
they get like the number seventh spot in the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
But they've they've just been fantastic.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
We got to give them more credit than they've been
getting right now.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Yeah, they're sitting right now at the seventh spot. They've
got the tiebreaker over the Bengals because they beat him.
We've got many teams right now sitting at five and four.
One of those three teams is Buffalo, who plays tomorrow night.
But yeah, I don't. I mean, I gotta be honest
with you, Arnie, I I have no idea how that
Ravens game ended up the way it did. I'm still perplexed, Biden,
(06:33):
if I'm a Ravens fan, I'm completely miffed because, as
you mentioned the pick six to start things out, right,
you had a botched extra point after a play where
it looked like you had you had taken the lead,
you would tie the game, right, you had tie the game,
and you miss the extra point, and and you had
a botched punt did Cleveland that basically gave Baltimore a
(06:58):
free touchdown, right, and yet they still came back and
won that game. How How did that even happen? Today?
For Baltimore. I have no idea you were screaming the
Emperor had those clothes last week? Maybe no, no, hold
us pause pause. That's what you said two weeks ago
about the Chiefs, right, and then when the Chiefs kicked
the crap out of the Dolphins, that's what I brought
(07:18):
up to you.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
Well, maybe we should maybe we should bring that up
about Lamar Jackson. I've been saying it from day one. Wait,
I told you last year when all the interceptions and
stuff like that, enough is enough. Thirteen to twenty three
to twenty three, couple of interceptions. You can start right there.
If you're gonna ahead and take the blame on somebody,
that guar. You wanna talk about playing a subpar game,
(07:41):
He played a subpar game.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
You can't have those type of numbers.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
Do you not give any credit to the Cleveland Browns
defense on that? Geez?
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Not when they had a fourteen point lead there, Chris.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
You don't give credit to the Cleveland Browns defense and
what they did to harass Lamar Jackson in your mind
is just Lamar Jackson.
Speaker 4 (07:57):
Sucks thirteen completions again they played when they play in
the eighty five Bears.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
I must have missed the game. I didn't know they
were playing the eighty five Bears.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
So no, no, no, there's an area here between being
a good defense and not being the greatest defense it's
ever been. Arnie, did you watch that game or did you?
I was watching the red Zone with you. Okay, yeah,
I watched the second half of that.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
The Browns defense harassed was mesmerizing. I mean I would
go hire Jim Schwartz right away their defensive coordinator after
what he did. That was Miles Garrett was the best
player on the field. So you can sit here like
I'm sure many will and try to clown Lamar Jackson,
and it's fine. He's the quarterback.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
He's going to get the much deserved christ should, and
of course he should.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
He signed the contract. He has always come back to
the contract.
Speaker 4 (08:51):
But again, he's the quarterback. He's the quarterback, the contract,
the big buddy. I mean, he's everything out there. But
I also pass.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
You if you're gonna sit here and stroy Lamar Jackson
all night.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
I've been doing it way before this game, Chris.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
You know that, right you were doing No, you didn't
do it the last three weeks because they had won
and they looked like the most dominant team in the NFL.
I did you were waiting for the opportunity for him
to struggle to pounce. That's what you were waiting for.
Speaker 4 (09:15):
I did it last year. Is when we were talking.
Remember last year we were talking about this.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
But Arnie Win's the show tonight, thank you. So I'm
just bringing up I know what you're gonna do. I
know what a lot of people are on Twitter x whatever.
I know what. I know what the talking heads are
gonna do. You better stop and give some credit to
the Cleveland Brown's defense because they were freaking awesome and
their offense for the longest time did everything they could
(09:41):
and their special teams to blow that game for them,
and the Cleveland Browns defense and Miles Garrett unfreaking believable.
So I get it. I know I know what the
talking point's gonna be, but holy smokes man, we gotta
stop and talk and start talking about just what a
game plan wrecker Miles gear It is.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
No and you're right. Look, the defense did play well.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
Look well, I know they had a lot of points
and they played awesome.
Speaker 4 (10:08):
Sean Watson didn't have the best game either, on that
pick six. I'd be laughing when you're just giving up
a gift like that to somebody.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
I was watching.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
I didn't even see that catch. It was like the
TV the camera didn't even get the full scope of
the thing. So I give them credit on that. But
I always doubted Baltimore and you had be convinced the
last three weeks that this team might have been the
best team in the NFL. And if they play like
they did tonight or today, not even close, not even
close to that.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
They have the same record as the Dolphins.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
It's not about the record. It's not about the record.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
They lost by two to a Cleveland Browns team that
has a six and three record. I mean, you're acting
like they lost to a last place New England Patriots
team or something. Here Areny, the Browns might be good.
And if Deshaun Watson, even though he had that horrific
pick six, if he plays like he did in this
second half, second half, I don't want anything to do
with him.
Speaker 4 (11:03):
Second half. He was fantastic. I don't know where that
came from. I know he had that streak of completions.
I don't even know if he threw any completion in
the second half.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
But he was. He was absolutely great. He really was.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
And I'll say that because I rip him a lot.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
Also, do we panic a little bit on Cincinnati after
what happened today as we shipped from the Browns game
and there went over the Ravens to the Bengals beating
the Texas because I kind of agree with you, Yeah,
I think that was a lot about what we're seeing
developed from c J. Stroud and a really good Texans team.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
But you want to talk about where Artie was right?
Where Artie was wrong?
Speaker 3 (11:35):
Boy was?
Speaker 2 (11:35):
I remember in the preseason, I'm saying, I don't.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
Like that c J. Stroud.
Speaker 4 (11:39):
Guy, boy man, I'm telling you it's gonna be a
long year for him. And look what he's been doing
so far in his first year. He's just been fantastic.
Is it two or three last minute? I know there's
at least two I don't even know if that maybe
three last drives for wins? He remember, this Texas team
(12:00):
coming in was not supposed to be a great team
or anything like that. That they're they're a great team,
but they didn't have a lot of great town or
anything like that. Could you imagine if they had some
of the talent that some of these other big teams had.
So he's just been phenomenal, absolutely phenomenal.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
Today, there have been five games that ended with a
game winning field goal as time expired in regulation. We've
talked about two of them, right, Cleveland beating Baltimore, Houston
beating Cincinnati, Arizona beat Atlanta, which I think we're not
gonna get a lot of people fired up about Arizona Atlanta,
but I think.
Speaker 4 (12:32):
That is amazing. Kyle Murray come back like that and
look like that would good. You know, when you come
back after eleven months, don't she like run with a
little bit of a limp? Are you just one hundred
percent let's go? Because he looked like he look good.
He never got hurt, you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
I will say I noticed this because I mean, listen,
I'm a Sooner Homers. I'm an Oklahoma Sooner guy, so
I watch a lot of Kyler Murray. He seemed like
he had a little bit happier feet in the in
the pocket. But maybe again that's just him getting comfortable.
But the Arizona Atlanta game ended on a walk off
field goal Detroit and the Chargers ended up on a
walk off field goal. Good game, we'll talk about later.
(13:08):
Seattle beat Washington. It's the on a walk off field goal.
It's the most games featuring a game winning score as
time expired in regulation in one day in NFL history. Wow.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
People were complaining that there wasn't a lot of great
matchups this year.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
This week, you know again, I never complained. When there's
football on the baby, I'll take I'll take that over
anything else. I mean, I'm watching freaking Tyler Bagent on
Thursday night. That's how much I love the NFL. But
it it was as good of a witching hour as
I think we've had so far this year, could you ad?
Let's see in that early window, there's three of the
(13:47):
games that we mentioned right there. The Browns win, the
Arizona or the Houston win. Oh, the other three win
in the afternoon. But the Saints Vikings game got good
after Derek Carr got decapitated and Jamis Winston's throw those
yolo balls. My gosh, I forgotten what a roller coaster ride.
The Jamis Winston.
Speaker 4 (14:04):
Experiment was a touchdown. The two pointer throws a couple.
I think he had two interceptions, did he not? Oh?
Speaker 3 (14:10):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. At his touchdown pass, Arnie. His touchdown
pass that he threw was the ultimate what are you
doing throwing that pass throw? I mean, I'm not even kidding.
He threw it completely across before the field. Unbelievable. But
I just thought, I'm with you. You didn't look at
(14:31):
this week's schedule of games. We clown in the primetime
games with the Thursday night game, Tonight's game, and obviously
Monday Night is Broncos Bills, but sometimes they Arenie. The
NFL just delivers, and I feel like it did today.
It did.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
It did, but you had to go ahead and be
invested to begin with. You didn't know that the games
were gonna come out to there. But yeah, and you
know you said that the last minute five of them.
We also had one, uh you know, one possession game?
Did you mentioned Pittsburgh green baythe that was good games?
Uh the Colts of the Patriots not a great game,
but it was still.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
A whoa game.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
I look at Raiders.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
Don't you even say that? You shut your mouth.
Speaker 5 (15:11):
On a delay and I was waiting for it, man.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
Yeah, I'm on a delay and they.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
While I was talking. I can't talk and watch.
Speaker 3 (15:18):
Yes, you can because you do it all the time
to ruin a game. Robert splaying with the interception after
the worst and I mean the absolute worst call of
a fumble whenever a runner was down. And how they
could tell that I will never know. But to your point, Arnie,
good good catch on the on the Packers because they
were thrown to the end zone as time expired to
(15:38):
potually win the game. And if if Matt Lafleur maybe
manage his timeouts a little bit better than I know,
it was tough because they were trying to get the
ball back. You know, that's even unfair to pick on
the floor for that. I guess he didn't really have
anything else. If they had another time out, that could
have been really interesting in those closing secons. I and
even this game tonight, as terrible as it is. I mean,
here's the Jets driving to try to win the football
(15:59):
game and Zach Wilson throws the pick. So let's go.
Good day of the NFL.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
Did you get up to watch that Colts Patriots or what?
Speaker 3 (16:09):
Yeah? I got up and watched it, and then, uh,
after I watched the first couple of drives, I kind
of fell back asleep. Again. But let's let's dive into
that next. Okay, I know that there is This is
one of your favorite topics. If it's not cramming the
Miami Dolphins down our throat, it is piling on the
(16:29):
Patriots and Bill Belichick. So obviously there was some rumblings,
there was some ruby bill Belichick's future. Did we see
the last game for Bill Belichick and the Patriots, you know,
as the Patriots head coach. Today, we'll dive into it next.

Speaker 3 (17:55):
All right, it's Arnie in Plank on Fox Football Sunday.
In this game that will never end for.
Speaker 4 (18:01):
Some proson worst clock management ever by both teams.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
Well, the Raiders deciding to throw on third down whenever.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
They got picked off.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
Yeah, whenever they have a team that didn't have a
time out left was something. It was something. But hopefully
we can get this thing. Oh, as you like to say, Arnie,
O v e er over please there we go. Oh no,
Max Crosby try and chasing Zach Wilson. Just throw it away.
(18:30):
Please throw it out of the back of the end
zone or something. Oh my gosh, that was almost caught. Yeah,
you don't deserve to win that, Yes you do. Sixteen
to twelve the final score. The Vegas Raiders are at
five hundred. They'll be six and five after next week.
What a win? What a win? I mean America watching
just two incredible offenses. Go at it.
Speaker 4 (18:54):
What do you think the line's gonna be in the
Raider Dolphin game next week?
Speaker 3 (18:57):
Oh? You know what what, I would probably put it eight.
I was gonna say nine and a half something like that.
Eight and a half. Nine, Yeah, I think because it's
in Miami, two and a shorter week for the Raiders,
you guys coming off a bye, right, we had to
play on Sunday night, so that's a few less hours.
And whenever, whenever you go to the Eastern time Zone.
I don't know if I can statistically prove this, maybe
(19:19):
we'll ask Todd, but I feel like Pacific time zone
teams really stink when they go to the UH. And
I don't know, I guess is Vegas in the Pacific
of the Mountain time zone. They're Pacific, right, yeah, Pacific,
all right? Well, regardless, regardless the Raiders will, I will
not allow my confidence to be shook at all in
(19:39):
this five and five football team. But there's a really
good chance that in their next two games aren't hee.
They could give up one hundred points because they play
the Dolphins and then they play the Chiefs of back
to back weeks.
Speaker 4 (19:50):
I feel pretty confident with my Dolphins next weekend. We
got to get back on track, get the seven to.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
Three and and take hold of the division.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
So we got to get back on You feel confident
with your Dolphins when they're down fifty. I mean, I
don't really know if you're the best example of someone
to talk about when they feel confident in their team
or not.
Speaker 4 (20:09):
Yeah, well, I feel I shouldn't feel confident now just
because they lost.
Speaker 3 (20:13):
To by the way, the Dolphins, and I forgot one
of them. They're not playing today. We're not talking about No.
Speaker 4 (20:17):
I was gonna say' the only teams to not lose
to a team sub five hundred.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
And you haven't beaten a team over five.
Speaker 5 (20:24):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
I didn't say that either, though. By the way, shout
out to our crew which is grinding hard tonight and
already will act like he doesn't know any of them,
but producer Brandon Trueth working hard behind the scene, Lorraine
Peterson running the show, and ladies and gentlemen, Steve Desager
grinding tonight after being in that thriller. We'll get an
(20:48):
update coming up in just a bit. But might have
been the game of the day to Sager, the Lions
Chargers game. That was fun. Steve's ignored me real quick.
Bill Belichick, Oh.
Speaker 5 (21:00):
I to say that is saying something because of what
you referenced early in the show that there were five
game winning field goals as time expired in the fourth
quarter today, the most in a single day in NFL history,
on believe. But yeah, back and forth as Detroit beat
the Chargers in La. My head is still spitting. You know,
the Detroit offense every game this year at least three
(21:21):
hundred twenty five yards. They had over five to twenty
five tonight, and you know it shouldn't have even You
could make a case spend that close because when it
was seventeen to three, Detroit they were dominating the first
quarter and a half. There was a time when Detroit
had to settle for a field goal after a low
block penalty took away a touchdown run. There was a
time where they intercepted Justin Herbert and then had a
(21:43):
twelve play drive and got no points out of it,
a five and a half minute drive, And so it
could have been it could have been worse, to put
it from the LA perspective. And yet they got a
chance to tie or retie the game late and this
was one of the game winning field goals final play.
That's right, forty one thirty eight over the Churchers.
Speaker 3 (22:02):
We'll have much much more on that game coming up,
all right, Bill Belichick On the NFL Game to Kickoff
show I was watching NFL Network, Ian Rapaport said that
Robert Kraft was not inclined to fire Belichick mid season.
Don't blame them, and there's reasons because you've got them,
we think right on a two year deal, and there's
(22:25):
going to be I know, this is crazy. Even though
they're two and eight entering the bye. There'd be a
lot of teams that wouldn't mind having Bill Belichick come
and take over their quote unquote program. But what do
you think? Where does I mean? I know that you
think the emperor has no clothes would fit here? And
speaking of that. I'm glad Shady Sean Ford twenty sent
(22:46):
me that video because I'm still trying to figure out
if Bill Belichick is creeping in that or if that's
even Bill Belichick sneaking out of someone's back door. Don't care,
doesn't matter. I don't wanted to coach my team. But
where do we go from here with him in New England?
Speaker 4 (23:00):
Well, you know, and I always said this before even
the season started, and I didn't even know about the
secret you know, contract that they finally released to try
to get off his back. You knew that sooner or
later Robert Kraft was going to go ahead and pass
the team on the Jonathan Craft and that he was
going to make his own decisions. Not that he wanted
to fire Belichick, but he wanted to put his own
(23:21):
spin on the team.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
Also, you saw how south the team was going.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
You saw that Belichick's losing not credibility, but he you know,
he's losing a little bit because of what Tom Brady
was able to do in Tampa. And you would think
that Bill would want to go ahead and go someplace
else to try to get that credibility back, or to
show b Blay I could do better. Also, without Tom Brady,
it's gonna be a long time before the Patriots actually
(23:47):
turn it around.
Speaker 2 (23:49):
I mean, they need another quarterback. So I could see
them both amicably saying, you know, let's just split after
this year.
Speaker 4 (23:57):
Belichick will go somewhere else, Patriots will go to for direction.
Jonathan Kraft will take over, put his stamp on it,
and start a whole new error for the new England Patriots.
I mean, out with Jonathan Awould, Robert and I would
build Belichick out with the old and with the new.
It's like that in every form of life there, Chris,
do you think they have their nuanced staff? You think
(24:18):
Jared Mayo's the next guy?
Speaker 3 (24:20):
Possibly? I mean, yeah, that's possibly.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
But again, I I'm not sure if that's the way
they want to go. Do they want to make a
big splash?
Speaker 3 (24:30):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (24:30):
Is there is there a way that they could say, Hey,
you know, I'm not saying that they want to get
a Dion Sanders or a Jim Harbar or something like that,
but is that the way to go? Somebody with a
bigger name, uh, you know, something bigger than Belichick? Though, Well,
you're not going to get a bigger name than Belichick.
I mean, just like somebody that is a little spark.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
I feel I hear what you're saying. I just I
hear everything you're saying. And I know this is tired
point that I've been making. I just can't believe we're
that these words are coming out of my mouth, our mouth, Arnie,
And I get it. I see the evidence. It's just
hard to believe that that man that's done all the
things that he's done in New England and the success
(25:15):
they've I mean, they're the standard. Chris. Now we have
those conversation about him getting fired.
Speaker 4 (25:19):
Chris, if you take over a Hamburger store from your
parents who ran it for thirty forty years and paid
all the bills and sent to the college and got
you a car and able to take you out on vacations,
and for so many years it was successful, and then
your parents retire and you take it over, you're still
gonna want to put your own stamp on it, maybe
redecorated a little bit, raise the prices, come up with
(25:41):
the triple cheeseburger or something like that.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
You know, so you think Jonathan Kraft wants to put
his own stamp on.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
The path why wouldn't you want to?
Speaker 4 (25:47):
I mean, just like, just like you know better than
anybody with Davis and with Mark Davis and what he's
done after out passed away, you want to put your.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
Own spin on it, you know. And it's funny because
I was watching the video of DeVante Adams dancing in
the dressing room and it was a dressing room. Listen
to me, what is this a play? Dancing in the
locker room? Only smokes fire me now, Scott, he was
dancing in the locker room and I was laughing because
Collin's Wareth and Triakle were like, they wants a show,
(26:16):
they want to show, they want an offensive show. I'm like,
they just want a game. I think they want to win.
So that's a new guy that wanted to put his
slant on it, make it a show, and he tried
to bring an offensive mind and it failed miserably. I
can completely understand that, Artie. I can't even fight with
you about it right now, and I want to because
it just does it seem to make a lot of
sense that we're having this conversation.
Speaker 4 (26:36):
And you know what, again, is a difference between replacing
somebody like they did, compare to somebody like Belichick, and
you're just that he's had that's apples and oranges.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
Oh, I'm not comparing the two situations.
Speaker 4 (26:49):
The only thing about Belichick is I would think, and
I said this even before the season, that if it's
going to be another year, you know, he goes home.
Speaker 2 (26:57):
At night and it just eats him up alive.
Speaker 3 (26:59):
You know that. I know that. Everybody listen. He knows that.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
He may not say it, but he's got a really
really this year is like dog years on him.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
It's like seven years.
Speaker 4 (27:10):
And if he can get away from this and just
go one more place for let's say, two more years,
I think he'd be so much happier. Matter of fact,
I think he'd be happier in retirement, but two more
years somewhere else, and I think he would have a
pick of about a good three or four teams.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
To be honest with you, I've got a theory when
we come back for you a question. First, let's get
caught up on everything. Man. Sagar is chopping at the bit.
He's got all the highlights, update scores that you need
taking away, Steve.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
I want to hear are first to start things off.
That would refer to Arizona.
Speaker 5 (27:40):
Didn't. Arizona basketball win at Duke, and then Arizona football
won again.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
There's a new sheriff in town and it's the Arizona
Wow Cats.
Speaker 5 (27:48):
I was telling Ben Mallard this afternoon, this is like
the Golden Era for you already for Arizona athletics. That's
right tonight in Vegas, the Raiders beat the Jet sixteen. Well,
I believe. For the Jets offense, that's up to thirty
five straight drives without a touchdown.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
Nice.
Speaker 5 (28:05):
Meanwhile, the Raiders allowed no tds in a game for
the first time in three years. This game was tied
nine to nine after three quarters. It was all field
goals at the time, sixteen to twelve of the finals.
So the new coach Antonio Pierce has beaten the Giants,
He's beaten the Jets. They all count five and five
is his record. And by the way, Josh Jacobs had
(28:27):
twenty seven carries for one hundred and sixteen yards.
Speaker 3 (28:30):
Should have had fifty seven. Wow.
Speaker 5 (28:33):
He did have the late fumble. He had gone almost
three hundred and fifty straight touches from scrimmage without losing
a fumble before that play in the fourth that's going
back to last year. But the Raiders do wind up
winning because of course, Zach Wilson throws an interception in
the last minute and a half, even after they'd driven
down to the Raider twenty yard line. The last Monday
(28:53):
of the Jets had lost to the Chargers twenty seven
to six. Their next two games are against Buffalo and Miami.
Jets are four and five. Chargers lost at home to
Detroit forty one thirty eight on a field goal on
the final play forty one yards from Riley Patterson. The
Detroit Lions seven and two. Very impressive one a line
(29:14):
and the movement. There's a lot to account for for
a defense, the crossing patterns. They had a great start
offensively today. First twelve plays over one hundred and thirty yards,
they were at eleven yards per play. As I mentioned earlier,
they were quickly up seventeen to three in the first
half and deserved to be the Charger offense. In the
first quarter. Three drives, two first downs, they were really
(29:35):
in a hole. In fact, out of their first four drives,
three were absolute garbage under a minute and a half
each punt interception, punt. The other one was a field goal.
Then finally the Charger offense got going and it was
back and forth the rest of the day. Jamiir Gibbs
had a couple of touchdown runs short ones for the Lions.
He had started ten carries seventy two yards. David Montgomery,
(29:56):
back from the rib injury, wound up being part of
a one play to down drive. They handed off to him.
He went seventy five yards and scored, and it turned
out on that play it was actually a pass called
Jared Goff was interviewed by M Live after the game
and said, when I broke the huddle, I realized, well,
we're supposed to have two tight ends of this play.
The guy's yelling in my ear, the offensive coordinator, get
(30:18):
into a run, get into a run, the handoff and
Montgomery goes seventy five yards for a touchdown.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (30:23):
In a game that's decided by a field goal on
the final play, Seattle beat Washington twenty nine twenty six
on a field goal as time expired, forty three yarder
from Jason Myers, who was five for five on field
goals today. Arizona edged Atlanta twenty five twenty three on
a short field goal on the last play, a twenty
three yarder from Matt Prater. Kyler Murray returned and started
(30:44):
at quarterback. He had one TD run one interception. Dallas
forty nine seventeen over the Giants, who are two and eight.
Dallas led twenty eight nothing at the half. Minnesota won
its fifth straight game, twenty seven to nineteen over New
Orleans Houston on a field goal on the final play.
Won at Cincinnati thirty to twenty seven. It was a
thirty eight yard game winner for Matt Amandolas. Kaymie Fairbairn
(31:07):
of the Texans is on ir with a quad injury. Cleveland,
with the comeback, trailed all day, still won at Baltimore
thirty three to thirty one on a last second field
goal forty yarder from Dustin Hopkins. Jerome Ford seventeen carries
one hundred and seven yards for the Browns. Victories for
San Francisco and Pittsburgh wins for Tampa Bay and Indy Texas.
(31:27):
A and M fired coach jimbo Fisher in the past
three seasons. A and m's record is nineteen and fifteen,
including nine straight road losses. Penn State fired offensive coordinator
by Kerikitch. You may have seen Penn State's offense in
the big games recent years. Boise State fired head coach
Andy Avolos. Texas running back Jonathan Brooks is out for
(31:48):
the season. He'll have surgery for a torn acl In
ten games this year, Brooks had ten touchdowns over eleven
hundred yards rushing. We mentioned the Arizona Wildcats. The new
AP poll, for what it's worth is out Tulane with
two straight subpar games, very unimpressive games, and they keep
moving up, proving that nobody is watching tu Lane games.
Speaker 3 (32:10):
I think you're right. Tulsa should have beat them with
a walk on freshman quarterback.
Speaker 5 (32:14):
A Tulsa team that's lost five in a row and
the week before it was East Carolina one and eight.
Almost feed him. What is going on here? People? Canny Tuesday?
Do something? Can you actually prove that you watch football games?
New Playoff Committee rankings come out in a couple of days.
The AP has Tulane at seventeen, James Madison eighteen, and
(32:35):
then the Arizona Wildcat up to nineteen.
Speaker 2 (32:38):
They have They have us playing Oklahoma and the Alamo Pole.
Speaker 3 (32:41):
I would love that. I told you, I think both
teams are going to end up in better bowls than that,
and that's no if it's the Alamo Bowl is off
San Antonio.
Speaker 5 (32:50):
By the way, Arizona nineteen and Notre Dame twenty. The
Arizona Wildcats football program more highly ranked in the AP
Pole than Notre Dame. Nice Tennessee fell to twenty one. Yeah,
us see nowhere to be seen. Arizona's gonna be hosting
Utah this weekend number five, Washington at number ten Oregon State.
Speaker 3 (33:07):
Back to you, thanks Steve, as we are coming toy
live from the ti rack dot com studios. Lorraine running
the show BT making sure we stay on track, and
that's Steve di Sega with updates. Arnie Spaniel, I'm Chris Plank. Okay,
since since Ron Belichick Pats fans, I'd love to hear
from you tonight man, because I I know Arnie likes
to fire his salvos, but you all know at heart
(33:28):
he's a Patriots fan. He lives up in the Northeast.
This whole Miami thing is a ruse. But what do
you do? Like, how do you handle this? And I
don't think Belichick's forgotten how to coach. I just think
that you couldn't have chosen more poorly with Mac Jones
and whatever has been a disconnect either either Josh McDaniels
had some sort of incredible connection with him that allowed
(33:50):
him to have a decent rookie season. I don't know
Arnie right, But what do you do? So as Patriot
fans send their tweets and and exes into at Stinking
Genius one and at Plank showing at Fox Sports Radio,
your Bill Belichick, let me give you three options that
you have for your future. Okay, three and these are
just off the top of my head. There's only one
of these. It seems to be somewhat sourced reporting. Here's one.
(34:14):
Fight for your job. Tell the Patriots you want to
give it right, get it right? Give you give you three?
You want to stay? You want you want to fight
for one more year? Okay, there's one. Number two, Go
build the Washington Commanders franchise. In other words, you got
a new owner and Josh Harris who probably wouldn't be
afraid to trade a little draft capital to go get you,
(34:34):
and then that way you leave New England. I don't think. Listen,
John Gruon got traded for a first round pick. I
don't think I don't think Washington would want to give
up a first round pick. But let's just say, from
Belichick's perspective, not worth not worth it. You don't think
Belichick's were the first row. No, I got proven right.
Speaker 4 (34:51):
By the way, you need to apologize to you because
it looks like I was proven right mathematically to get
about Remember when I said you always say Already doesn't
care about coordinators, Well, it looks like it turned out
to be right. I guess forget about coordinators. Coaches don't
even make that big of a thing. When Harba got suspended,
the line didn't even move, not even not even half
imported that game.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
They're like, who cares? Who coaches Michigan?
Speaker 2 (35:14):
Harbaugh, Artie Span Your more doesn't make it ever, just
be beat. Michigan didn't even move. Chris didn't even Budge.
Speaker 3 (35:23):
We're having a conversation about Bill Belichick. Just happened right.
Speaker 4 (35:27):
Here, just because when you're brought up about you know
he wants to go and all that, I'm like, don't
make a big thing of it, not worth the first
round pick, because you know you you overvalue these coaches
all the time.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
Right, coaches don't matter at all. They should all be
fired and you should just run every team. And then
the third what about a place like Dallas? What about
a place like Dallas. So in other words, stay fight Washington,
build your own thing, go to Dallas, have all the toys,
and work for Jerry Jones. Think about it. We'll get
your take next on Fox Sports Radio. It's already in
(35:59):
Plank on a Fox Football Sunday. The Raiders win Sunday
Night Football over the New York Jets to get to
five hundred. Jets. Boy, they botched several opportunities in this game.
That's we say that a lot, you know what I mean.
I feel like we say that every week, don't we Yeah? Exactly?
You buying any of this Aaron Rodgers stuff, the mid
(36:21):
the mid December talk. I love it.
Speaker 4 (36:23):
I don't believe that. I'm sorry. I'm not a doctor.
I don't know what happened. But you're not coming back
from an Achilles that quickly. There's there's something that they're
keeping from us.
Speaker 3 (36:34):
Mister.
Speaker 4 (36:35):
You know, I had a shot. I didn't have a shot.
I'm gonna lie anyway, so I.
Speaker 2 (36:39):
I told everybody that it wasn't I didn't say it
wasn't Achilles I just nodded my head, so I think
it was something else, to be honest with you.
Speaker 3 (36:49):
Oh so you're buying into the Levatar theory that he
never really ruptured his achilles.
Speaker 2 (36:54):
Yes, I'm buying into that. Yes, I am buying into that.
Speaker 3 (36:57):
Why would they? Why would they?
Speaker 4 (37:00):
Did Aaron actually come out and say he tore his
achilles or did somebody else say it?
Speaker 3 (37:06):
And he did never confirmed it. I don't see.
Speaker 4 (37:09):
I don't know that, and he plays tricks with us
so many times now I have to go back and look,
you know.
Speaker 3 (37:14):
Well, we'll get to more of that coming up in
a bit, because I'm here for that conversation. And I
don't know. I mean, the Jets are now four and five,
right I didn't look like a very good football team
to me. They got a good defense. I mean, they
just lost to an O'Connell who threw it to him
twice tankefully one time they dropped it. But I mean,
I I don't know if rushing him back in that
(37:35):
AFC right now is something that's gonna help the Jets
out long term or out. But we'll get to it
in a bit. I want to pay off artis here
real quick. What would you do if you're Bill Belichick
or you know there's a fourth option? Do you have
right off into the sunset? Some maybe you go and
you continue to creep. I guess that was what Nantuckett
that they caught him going out the back door. Maybe
(37:55):
is the Dan Patrick promo that we'll hear a thousand
times tonight. Maybe the Chargers or a team that he
might be headed to. I don't know, but what would
you do if you're Bill Belichick right now? Oh?
Speaker 4 (38:05):
If we're just gonna pick that, you know, if we're
picking different teams out there. I think he wants to
go to another team. I think he wants to go
ahead and kind of get his name back a little
bit after what Tom Brady did. He's embarrassed by what's
going on with the Patriots. He cannot win with Mac
Jones or Bailey's athlete or whoever he wants to go
and throw out there. I think the Chargers would be
(38:26):
a great fit if they go ahead and make a
move after this year. Obviously a great place to live,
He'll get a lot of publicity. He only has to
make a few changes there. They have some weapons. I
think the Chargers would be a great fit for him.
Speaker 3 (38:40):
I think the Chargers would be I don't know if
he's I don't know how Bill Belichick's personality is side
of what we see, so I don't know what it's
like in the locker room or in the front office.
But I think I would be more apt to buy
jumping in somewhere midstream. I don't think he wants to
go to I like what Washington has right Sam Howe
(39:02):
seems like an Eastern quarterback. But they just traded their
two best defensive players. They're at least their two best
rights exactly, so you're rebuilding a little bit. I don't
think if I'm Bill Belichick, that's what I want to
dive into, right.
Speaker 4 (39:13):
No, absolutely not. That's why I said the Chargers would
be a great fifth. There's always Chicago. You brought that up,
but that's a rebuild too, exactly. You're one hundred right
on that one. Also, are the is rable gonna leave?
And could they swap jobs?
Speaker 3 (39:29):
I don't know. I mean that sounds crazy, does it
mat or what? And then there's this. I mean, I
love Bill Belichick because the success that he's had, but
he's the guy you go try to hire. If you
have a vacancy, right, I mean you're you're not You're
not dancing around a hardball over Belichick or I think,
who who'd you bring yone like that? Or but let
(39:51):
me tell you something.
Speaker 4 (39:52):
Every win the Raiders have not only keeps you in
the playoff hunt, but it tells you that Pierce is
gonna be the long term coach, because had you lost
these two games, I would think that Pelichick would have
been play for the Raiders.
Speaker 3 (40:06):
To be honest with you, don't doubt that, don't doubt
that at all. But I would also like to remind
you that rich Bassacia went ten and seven, led the
Raiders to the playoffs. Right fired anyway, and you've got
two of your toughest games on your schedule coming up
the next two weeks when you go to Miami and
you host Kansas City. But I will say, I will
say I would not complain if that indeed is the
(40:29):
next move. Mark Davis makes sorry our one. Wow, that
was so quick. We haven't talked about the Cowboys today.
But you know what, we don't really talk about teams
when they play the Giants because the Giants are terrible.
But we'll talk Dak Prescott next on Fox Sports Radios.
Take Around.
Speaker 1 (40:42):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at foxsports Radio

hear you? Yes?
Speaker 4 (41:13):
Yes, Noon, the two noon, the two Eastern. I was
filling on in for up on game with Kerry Roads.
So we did the show together.
Speaker 3 (41:21):
That's nice, a two hour show. Oh, it's like a
dream come true. What are you kidding me?
Speaker 4 (41:26):
Right there, didn't have to stay up too late. We
were on the first half of the Michigan Penn State game.
By the way, I mean, if we're gonna get a
little college football in I thought for sure that Harball
was gonna be allowed to get that uh you know,
uh yeah, inept iustrating on to be able to coach
on the sideline the offensive.
Speaker 2 (41:45):
Coordinator that took over what was a coach?
Speaker 3 (41:47):
More is at his name? Sooner?
Speaker 4 (41:50):
What that was he crying about after the game though,
he like he had to, like coach Harbor had died.
And that's for you, coach, We're never gonna forget you.
He's there all week and you relax your stuff. I
don't think you should have been suspended though. Uh coach
Franklin getting ripped all over the place. That's absolutely crazy.
And I just one other thing is if I'm gonna
(42:10):
do add college football, Jimbo Fisher out for seventy six
million dollars.
Speaker 3 (42:14):
That's that's borderline criminal, Chris.
Speaker 4 (42:16):
That's like I've seen that you have to pay a
coach off that much money. You should never hire a
coach if that's what the buyouts going to be. I
don't care who you're gonna get. Can you imagine what
seventy six million dollars? And I know what's these schools
are for profit, but could you imagine what an extra
seventy six million dollars to scholarships and underprivileged kids that
(42:36):
can't afford it could do something. That's just that's just
throwing money out the window. That's that that really is disgusting.
That that's borderline criminal. I don't know how you could
have a payout of something like that.
Speaker 3 (42:47):
Have rich donors, have one hundred thousand people come show
up for these poor kids in these scholarships. I mean,
foo freaking who man, don't give them the contract, then
don't sign.
Speaker 4 (42:58):
It, Yeah, because I I think you don't let him
side it.
Speaker 3 (43:02):
He's got a great agent and listen, no, I'm sure
they'll negotiate it down, which I would negotiate it down
at all. But yeah, he gotta go. You gotta go
whenever you feel like you're stuck in neutral like this.
I'm shocked they let him coach and win a game
like they did on Saturday, right, I mean they beat
the snot out of Mississippi State and then he gets fired.
Speaker 4 (43:25):
Well, I don't think it's bothering him all too much.
Like I said, when you get a seventy six million
dollar golden parachute, it certainly makes.
Speaker 3 (43:32):
The you know, the let me ask you, let me
ask you something. You've built this show, right, we built
this show together, and you feel pretty good about it.
But you're telling me if they even if they gave
you a fifteen mil or. I, let's say ten, there
wouldn't be a certain sense of your pride that would
be hurt because of the way that it ended. I mean,
(43:52):
you don't think that this this is embarrassing for him
at no.
Speaker 2 (43:56):
It's funny you mentioned that, you know.
Speaker 4 (43:57):
I remember I had a job in Phoenix, and when
I got back from my honeymoon, they were gonna let
me go. Biggest mistake they ever made, because the station
was never the same and went even close to the
same after I left it.
Speaker 3 (44:09):
They were let a couple of people go.
Speaker 2 (44:11):
But I had a year left on a contract, and
I said, you're gonna give me one hundred and fifty
thousand dollars I want to buy five o'clock and.
Speaker 4 (44:16):
I just won't do anything. So they they gave me
the money. And at first I'm like, you know, okay,
it's you know, this kind of sucks. And then when
I got the check and went home, and then I
got another job within like a week and a half
and I started in two weeks, I did say too bad.
Speaker 2 (44:32):
You know, I get that that's not so bad after.
Speaker 3 (44:34):
All, you know, it's not so bad getting a.
Speaker 2 (44:37):
Big bacon off not too bad that you know, I got.
Speaker 3 (44:41):
Over it real quick. I'm sure he'll get over it
real quick, that's for sure. Yeah, you heard the saga
talking about it again. I'm shocked that it finally came down,
especially after what was like fifty one to ten they
beat Missus State this weekend. They did finally fire Jimbo Fisher,
And it's gonna be a fat, fascinating case study for
the nerd. Let me nerd for two seconds. For nil
(45:05):
and roster management, Texas A and M has gone all
in on NIL. They've won the recruiting National Championship a
couple of years ago. In other words, that means they
had top recruiting class in college football. It had been
Alabama and Georgia Texas A and M wanted a couple
of years ago, and they have strong NIL behind a
lot of those guys coming in. Are they gonna be
able to keep that roster together? Is it's going to
(45:27):
change the way a lot of people approach the I
keep saying nil game. I don't know. I just think
it's it's gonna be a wild couple of months. In
the transfer portal at Texas A, because you can enter
the portal as soon as it Coach leaves. You get
how many times?
Speaker 2 (45:41):
How many times can you transfer until you have to
sit out?
Speaker 3 (45:44):
Or can you just transfer? No matter what, you get
one free transfer, you.
Speaker 2 (45:47):
Can't get a second one, even where a coach is fired.
Speaker 3 (45:50):
Nope, even even with.
Speaker 2 (45:53):
Like some type of Bologney excuse or something like that.
Speaker 3 (45:56):
Oh no, you can still try. I mean, look what
they did to the receiver from North Carolina, right they
made him fight and fight and fight, and they finally
got through. But yeah, no, no, you can blown the excuses,
but you could cut. You can try to in any way,
shape or form fight the NCAAA. But already the NCAA
doesn't move too rapidly.
Speaker 4 (46:15):
No, I know. But there's one coach and he wants
to bring his own players, and you know who that's
going to be. And if he can't bring his son
to play quarterback, then Deon Sanders isn't gonna go to
A and m I.
Speaker 3 (46:24):
Don't think Deon Sanders is going anywhere. I mean maybe
in a couple of years from now, maybe once Shador
is done. But shud Or can't transfer again without sitting out.
Speaker 2 (46:34):
So I say, I wish you could petitioner, but you're
right about that.
Speaker 3 (46:38):
I mean, they can fight him, but it's like, why
are you moving it? I guess it might be one
of the most interesting kind of battles that we would see. Well,
my dad and my family are moving ah, everyone would
know why it is. Can I give you one more
stat from Michigan too? Yeah? Yeah, yeah. Michigan ran the
ball in its final thirty two straight snaps. Unbelievable.
Speaker 4 (46:57):
They didn't throw it in the whole second half, and
when the end of the first top they stopped even
throwing it.
Speaker 3 (47:03):
Their final thirty two plays of the game, only about
two or three were even on cold passes, which is crazy.
So wild weekend in college football. We had a few upsets.
Still haven't had that jaw dropper, have we. That's the
one thing that I've kind of missed in college football
this year is we haven't had that top five, top six,
(47:26):
just rate ranking shaker. I thought we might get it
with Washington in Utah for a little bit yesterday, Josh,
I thought that Georgia might get a little bit more.
Did you see what the Washington player did on the
interception return for a touchdown? Yeah? When he dropped it?
Speaker 2 (47:42):
Are you and I said it as soon as he d,
I go, did he?
Speaker 3 (47:46):
I mean that wasn't even close? No, but when you
saw it how I was watching.
Speaker 4 (47:50):
I happened to be watching the game and I'm watching
it in real time and I and I said.
Speaker 3 (47:56):
Did he drop down?
Speaker 2 (47:58):
Because I you know, you know, hey, that closed off attention?
Did he drop it at the why you just Sube's
gonna run it? I go, I swear, I gotta see
that again.
Speaker 4 (48:07):
It's like the five I know, we wasn't even close
and a you kidd and like three people walk by
it until some guy from uh, well well Utah falls
on it. Then again, why would you do something like that?
Is just beyond unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (48:23):
It's great. Oh do you hear bet our producer Arnie,
who does a lot of work, he has the radio
boot that I haven't heard the radio call of this.
Randon true and dug it up. Let's hear it. I
haven't heard this now though.
Speaker 1 (48:34):
Motion running back to Quinn and Jackson into the backfield
snapped the Barns.
Speaker 4 (48:38):
Barnes looking to pass pressure coming throw over the middle finger.
Speaker 7 (48:41):
Set it up, Buzo to Batalla the right.
Speaker 4 (48:44):
Sideline forty fifty turn.
Speaker 3 (48:46):
On the tests big boy a Fonso to Batalla's going
all the way.
Speaker 1 (48:51):
Oh he chalked the football?
Speaker 3 (48:53):
Did he cross the goal line?
Speaker 5 (48:54):
We're waiting for a signal?
Speaker 3 (48:56):
Fish? Did you talk the one yard line? Did not score?
Like it was short of the war. I mean, I
think they ended up giving it to her like the
two or the three.
Speaker 4 (49:09):
He noticed he called it right away on the play
by play. I didn't know that.
Speaker 3 (49:12):
Yeah he saw like I did. Yeah, you can tell
right away.
Speaker 4 (49:15):
Wasn't even close. I don't know what he was thinking
when he did something like that.
Speaker 3 (49:18):
Unbelievable. I mean, it wasn't even close. So maybe this
weekend is the weekend where we get some shock in
college football. TCU was was kind of close, but I
feel like in the Big Ten, we're all counting down
to what week thirteen. Whenever you get Ohio State and Michigan,
it's gonna be a fun weekend.
Speaker 4 (49:36):
And I need you to pass the nota O to
the Sega. I've given him some homework for his forty
five segments. I want to know how my Arizona Wildcats
can go ahead and make it into the Pac twelve
championship game.
Speaker 1 (49:50):
I can't.
Speaker 3 (49:50):
They gotta beat Utah and we have some chaos.
Speaker 4 (49:53):
We have to beat Utah Arizona State, and I think
Oregon has to lose to Oregon State, and that's it.
Speaker 3 (50:00):
Do you guys play Oregon this year? No? Oh yeah,
maybe it's so not ti breakers.
Speaker 2 (50:06):
Yeah, but Oregon's not gonna beat Oregon State.
Speaker 3 (50:08):
We know that Oregon's not going to beat Oregon State. No,
there's so much better than Oregon State. Wait, you just
said Oregon's not gonna beat Oregon State and then you
said there's so much better than Oregon State. Okay, okay,
they are.
Speaker 4 (50:22):
Oregon is not actually, let me phrase that, Oregon is
not going to lose. Okay, I'm sorry, Okay that Oregon
is not going to lose.
Speaker 2 (50:30):
Here, we go to Oregon State, they'll end up winning.
Speaker 4 (50:33):
They're a better teams, so I mean, it's all for nothing,
but that's the only hope I have left.
Speaker 3 (50:37):
I'm sorry. Oregon State's a good football team, aren't he.
Speaker 4 (50:40):
You know they'll probably be I think Oregon probably be
like a ten twelve point favorite or something like that.
Speaker 3 (50:46):
I mean, Oregon State's like a top ten football team
right now. I mean I know that you are, mister
pac twelve. Yeah, but that's an eight and two football team,
and I mean when Oregon then be in a better
Oregon State you guys, yeah, we beat them, So that's why.
Speaker 2 (51:04):
So I'm thinking that's all really of these appen.
Speaker 3 (51:06):
We need to beat you.
Speaker 4 (51:07):
Utah is gonna be a tough game, but it's a
pick him game. We need to beat Utah, and we
need to beat Arizona State, which that's already guaranteed. And
then and then we have to hope Oregon loses to
Oregon State.
Speaker 3 (51:20):
Could happen. It could happen, but don't get into these.
The Big Twelve could potentially have a five team tiebreaker
that they have to get into for the Big Twelve
championship game at five and two. It's just crazy where
we are right now. But we'll talk more college football
later on in the program. Arnie, as we come to
your live from the Tirack dot Com studios tonight, you've
been trying to bury Lamar Jackson all night long. Why
(51:41):
don't you give your boy Dak Prescott some flowers? I
know it was the Giants. They look like the next
potential landing spot for Caleb Williams. I don't care, man,
I thought Dak looked really sharp. You should care. Don't
say you don't care, you should care. Yeah, So why
are we building up the Dolphins because all you do
is beat crap teams?
Speaker 4 (51:58):
Well, I mean there was Dan the Vido was I
mean Artie Spaniard was quarterback for the Giants.
Speaker 3 (52:03):
That was the same joke you used last week.
Speaker 4 (52:06):
But we'll keep going with it as long as it works.
You do right away that the Giants of the Cowboys
were just going to route them. They were seventeen point favorite.
I weigh the points that I never had any doubt
in this game, especially when it was at halftime. It
was embarrassing. The whole thing was embarrassing. Yeah, the Cowboys
look fantastic. Congratulations you look great against like one of
(52:26):
the worst teams, if not the worst team in the NFL.
It's just horrible the way the Giants are looking a
lot of fighting on the sidelines, Saquon Barkley getting into it,
like the play calling at the end of the half.
When you start having you know, internal fighting, you know
the season's done, you know they've lost the season.
Speaker 3 (52:43):
Do you currently know where the Giants sit in the
draft order? No? Actually I don't. Two.
Speaker 2 (52:51):
Okat ODDI here.
Speaker 3 (52:53):
The number one pick in the draft right now is Chicago's,
right because they own Carolina's top So no, Chicago has
it necessarily played themselves out of the cable Williams Derby
because they have Carolina's pick.
Speaker 5 (53:07):
And I would add, guys that it's because Arizona kicked
that field goal on the last play to win. That
give Arizona a two and eight record, Giants two and eight,
New England two and eight. But the Carolina pick, Carolina's
only one at eight. And remember Chicago has its own pick.
They could have two top five selections late April, and.
Speaker 3 (53:26):
Their other pick is five right now too.
Speaker 4 (53:28):
If I was going to pick a team that was
gonna have one or two, certainly be the Patriots, because
I don't think they're gonna win a game in the
rest of the year.
Speaker 5 (53:34):
Rams could have a top ten pick. They've lost three
in a row.
Speaker 3 (53:36):
They were on a butt that Giants team is going
to win a game.
Speaker 5 (53:39):
Yeah, no, that's There was a great stat from Andrew Ceciliano,
who used to work here years ago. Man, and at
first you say, oh, this says the Dallas Cowboys had
four hundred and sixty eight yards of offense today no, no, no, no.
The Cowboys had four hundred and sixty eight more yards
than the Jets today. It's just the largest total yardage
(54:02):
differential in any NFL game in forty four years.
Speaker 3 (54:05):
I don't know what the Giants were doing.
Speaker 4 (54:07):
I mean that the Giants are like the Rutgers of
the of the NFL where they scored no points and
Iowa runners to be like twenty seven.
Speaker 5 (54:15):
I'll put it this way. Dallas had seven touchdowns, Giants
had seven punts.
Speaker 3 (54:20):
There you go. Dac through for four hundred and four
yards seventy four percent completion percentage. It is his seventh
career game with at least four hundred passing yards all
against completion percentage, which is the second most in NFL history.
Speaker 5 (54:38):
Wow, you think the Jets offense is bad? We mentioned
what thirty five straight drives without a touchdown? Giants on
third down conversions today? Oh for twelve? I mean you're
just not moving the ball. Mccar If it wasn't for
the late touchdown, it would be a forty nine to
ten final at Dallas.
Speaker 3 (54:55):

let's hear from our guy, Todd Furman live from Vegas
(55:16):
right here on Fox Sports Radio. Let's get after it
with Todd Ferman Better Board podcast at Todd Furman on Twitter.
He joins us here on Fox Sports Radio with Arnie
Spaniel on Chris Plank. All right, Todd, well, let's talk
about what everyone's talking about right that incredible offensive performance
tonight in Sunday Night Football. In all seriousness, I kind
(55:36):
of dug watching Allegiant Stadium. Even though there was a
lot of Jets fans there, it was loud with Raiders fans.
I don't know if Antonio Pierce is the answer, but
at least for a couple of weeks, it's kind of
giving that team a little bit of an attitude.
Speaker 8 (55:49):
There's no doubt they're playing with a chip on their shoulder,
a little bit of an identity. Obviously, when you look
at the upcoming schedule, things get to be a little
bit more difficult when you travel to Miami to see
if fifty can hold its own. I think the Jets
had a couple of self inflicted wounds, and you wonder
how the game would have been a little bit different
if the Jets score a touchdown early in that game.
It was negated for holding instead of settling for a
(56:10):
field goal. But the Raiders did what they needed to
in the second half. They held up against the Jets
push and ultimately have back to back wins before they
head out across the country to take on Arnie's beloved
Fins next Sunday.
Speaker 4 (56:21):
Oh what do you know? A line on what that's
going to be next week? Todd Benny idea. I was
going to say it was going to be like nine
and a half or something, yep.
Speaker 8 (56:30):
In that range. I expect a number to open pretty
much at ten across the board, maybe even as high
as ten and a half. It'll be interesting to see
how the game gets bet But you have to believe
that the Dolphins will come into this game significantly healthier
along the offensive line. At least to my knowledge, it
didn't look like the Raiders were going to lose any
key cogs from tonight's game for that contest next week.
Speaker 3 (56:49):
Wait, you forgot that a meek Robertson hit. He by
no means to see a key cock, But my goodness,
that dude was out whenever he took that knee. Who
was it was that Breis Hall that tried to jump
over him? Regardless, we've pained people enough talking about Jets Raiders.
Good day for the books. How did things play? A
lot of fantastic finishes? What was it good or bad?
Speaker 8 (57:10):
Yeah, definitely a bunch of close games when you look
at the way some of these unfolded books. Very happy
with results that they got, largely in the AFC Norths
with Cleveland beating the Baltimore Ravens outright took care of
a lot of exotics and folks that wanted to back
the Ravens given how well they had performed. You of
course get the Houston Texans upsetting the Cincinnati Bengals as well.
You know, one of the decisions that didn't go the
(57:30):
way of the house, the Pittsburgh Steelers. They got a
ton of public support and the Steelers able to cover
that game despite late professional money that came in on
the underdog. As far as the afternoon session was concerned,
all three games go over the total. People didn't care
what the number was. They weren't going to be scared
off of the Dallas Cowboys. And you can understand why.
And the Lions Chargers game fascinating not just went unfolded
(57:51):
on the field, but the ongoing battle. As far as
the sportsbooks were concerned, that there was professional money that
came in on the Chargers plus three in a very
different opinion on the Lion numbers shorter than that, So
a worst case scenario for the books who get middled
insided on that context.
Speaker 4 (58:04):
It's interesting you said that because I thought the books
would have been clobbered one because I know everybody, but
everybody was on the Dallas Cowboys. Also on Saturday, the
only person on this planet that was picking Penn State
was me. So it's if like everybody was gonna bet
Michigan because of what was going on with the Harbor.
Speaker 2 (58:21):
They must have been clobbered on that Michigan game.
Speaker 8 (58:23):
A lot of it depends on the time slot. It's
never going to be a great situation when there's some
money that comes in on a game like that, but
being earlier in the day, instead of having all the parlays,
teasers and some of the exotic bets going to it
the same way they would have if the game was
played in prime time, mitigates some of the damage more
often than not. And when you look at the way
that the schedule unfolded with some less than marquee games
(58:43):
throughout the course of the day, all the books found
themselves on the right deft side of the late night decision,
with USC fighting tooth and nail, not to really flirt
with victory, but to make sure they got inside that
number as north of a two touchdown underdog.
Speaker 3 (58:55):
Todd, how do you see the books? How are you
going to handle Jim Harbaugh at being there the next
few weeks? And how much can we see things shift
if he's gets that last a minute restraining order and
gets an opportunit. I mean, does all of this factor
in or do you think the number is going to
stay the same regardless.
Speaker 8 (59:10):
Jane changes a little bit in the handicap. I don't
think Michigan was nearly as aggressive without Jim Harbaugh there,
knowing that they didn't really have an official pass attempt
from the middle of the second quarter on and while
they really didn't need to, you wonder if JJ McCarthy
leans on Coach Harbaugh is his confident on those kinds
of situations, and it creates a little bit of a
complex dynamic there. But Michigan in a massive favorite this
(59:31):
weekend for the trip to College Park to take on Maryland.
A very different story when they get Ohio State in
the regular season finale, But that Michigan defense looks to
be the real deal, and it takes a lot of
pressure off of the offense to have to go out
there and put up crooked numbers even when they step
up in Class DoD.
Speaker 4 (59:45):
You know UCLA and USC coming up the Oregon, Oregon State, Arizona,
Arezo State.
Speaker 3 (59:49):
Do more people bet rivalries.
Speaker 2 (59:51):
Or it really doesn't make a difference to them whatsoever.
Speaker 8 (59:53):
It doesn't really change a whole heck of a lot
in terms of the overall betting handle. Historically, Thanksgiving weekend
is rather slower used to be because you don't get
the same influx as Taurus, given that it's a little
bit more of a family holiday. But not with the
mobile apps, there's not really a major drop off in
betting handle, it's all about the marquee matchups and the
more top ten, top fifteen teams that you can pare
up against each other as the season gets a little
(01:00:15):
bit deeper, makes for much more intriguing battles on TV,
and usually what you'll see is the games that get
pretty high ratings as far as network broadcasters are concerned.
The betting handle correlates to that quite the same.
Speaker 3 (01:00:26):
Todd, what did you make of the I say mass,
But if you're a if you're a fan of the Browns,
it's not a mess. If you're a fan of the Steelers,
it wasn't a mess. But that mess that was in
the AFC North today where the two teams that looked
like they were clicking so well saw the bottom fall
out of the Bengals and the Ravens.
Speaker 8 (01:00:43):
Well, the Ravens losing that game a little bit more
surprising to me having built multiple score leads, But for
the first time, maybe since the Cleveland Browns traded for him,
you saw flashes and glimpses of what Deshaun Watson can be.
And in my opinion, if you're a fan of any
of the teams in the AFT North of the AFC
in general. That's a little bit of a scary proposition.
Settled down quite nicely, finished fourteen or fourteen, I believe,
(01:01:03):
and also used his legs to extend plays. If the
Browns start to get a performance out of the Shawn
that reminds us of the quarterback he was at the
Houston Texans. It's not a team that you can ride
off with the defense that stingy the Bengals game doesn't
really shock me. The Houston Texans were one of the
sharper professional positions this week. That number got that from
seven as low as five once t Higgins got ruled out.
It hurts some of what they could do offensively. And
(01:01:25):
then you look at the situational aspect of it. The
Bengals coming into this contest back to back emotional wins
against the forty nine ers, and the Bills were a
little bit flat in this one, and we'll see if
they can run it back on a short week against
the Ravens. As suddenly both of those teams coming to
that game off a loss. And you know, when you
look at the Bengals at five and four, no doubt
the best team in last place in any division in
the NFL.
Speaker 4 (01:01:45):
Are there some juicy games coming up this week in
the NFL? I mean San Francisco ten and a half
over Tampa. I expect them to win by four touchdowns.
And how about the Texans only five and a half
over the Cardinals. Why such a low line.
Speaker 8 (01:01:57):
There, I'm not sure anybody is going to call the
four nine Ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers musty tv ARNI,
So we'll leave that one tou as far as one
of the most watched games. But when you look at
the Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals, this again is the
poster chilt for the situation that the Bengals went through
this week. I think Texan stock is at an all
time high. You look at a team that's now pulled
off pretty impressive performances and back to back weeks. With
(01:02:19):
the late heroics against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they go
on the road and have to withstand the late push
from Cincinnati, and if you look forward on their schedule,
they have a showdown with the Jacksonville Jaguars in the
division that could go a long way. Arizona much more
dynamic offensively with Kyler Murray and would not be shocked.
Next Sunday, we're having this chat, gentlemen, and Arizona has
won their second game in as many weeks.
Speaker 3 (01:02:39):
He looked pretty good today. I was a little bit
surprised by that. Are you buying all the Joshua Dobbs
stock that's out there right now?
Speaker 8 (01:02:47):
First half, josh Dobbs looks like Superman. Second half Josh
Dobbs looks a lot more like Clark Kent. So I'm
not quite sure what they've done. Even during his time
at Arizona, it was a very similar situation that unfolded.
So whether defensive coordinators aren't scheming or something along those lines,
but he deserves a world of credit because this is
a player that started the year as a member of
the Cleveland Browns, has changed locations, gone out there doing
(01:03:10):
what to ask him, and suddenly the Minnesota Vikings amid
that five game winning streak, one of the hottest teams
in the NFL, and a sneaky good game potentially on
Sendaynight Football between the Vikings and Broncos if the Broncos
are able to pull off the outright upset tomorrow night
against the Buffalo Bills.
Speaker 4 (01:03:24):
All Right, a couple of things One, you guys got
heat stroke out there. You're gonna give me my Arizona Wildcats?
Or plus four points against Duke that was like stealing.
And two we never get to talk a lot of hockey, wasn't.
Like four days ago, I was scrolling through Twitter and
somebody put out there's a team with two wins in
the NHL that's a three and a half minus three
(01:03:46):
point fifty favorite. And I was looking it up and
it was Edmonton over San Jose. And I'm saying, boy,
these experts must be.
Speaker 2 (01:03:53):
Pounding San Jose at the three to one to get
their second win. And San Jose won the damn game.
Did you whether the experts.
Speaker 5 (01:04:01):
All over that or what?
Speaker 2 (01:04:02):
Hot?
Speaker 8 (01:04:03):
The San Jose doesn't draw a ton of attention at
the betting window. Not a team right now that's minus
forty nine in goal differentially scored eighteen goals through fifteen games.
There are a number of clubs in the English Premier
League in Bundesliga that are much more prolific on the
offense side. But that was potentially the final nail that
led to coach j Woodcroft getting hired earlier today. A
touch to the Oilers. So I don't think any hockey
(01:04:25):
fan expected Edmonton to be sitting with seven points after
thirteen games, staring down the barrel of an eighteen point
deficit to the Golden Knights in terms of trying to
get the first place in the Pacific. And while it's
early in the season, I think Edmonton has already have
to shift their focus to being one of the wild
car teams in the Pacific. And we'll see if Conor
McDavid's junior coach who gets called in from the Hartford
wolf Pack and makes a difference and kind of resurrect
(01:04:46):
the season that's gotten off the rails early for the
boys in northern Melbourna.
Speaker 2 (01:04:49):
It to be a little ground for my wildcut's victory
over Duke b Fred.
Speaker 3 (01:04:52):
How about that? Huh?
Speaker 8 (01:04:54):
They played meaningful college basketball in the month of November.
Are oh, come on, pumped the brakes and remind me
in March how these resumes hold up? College basketball for
me doesn't start till they crown a Super Bowl champion
in the middle of February. And I know Aaron Torres
feels very differently, so you can ye troops as you'd
like with him on Friday nights when he fills in
(01:05:14):
and that sort of thing. But college basketball in November,
December and January, at least for me, is a little
bit below European.
Speaker 3 (01:05:22):
Wow. All right, Todd, have a great week, buddy. Everyone.
Check out the Bet the Board podcast. We'll talk to
you soon.
Speaker 8 (01:05:28):
Man, You well, Tonics.
Speaker 3 (01:05:31):
Thanks care it's Todd for him. Here is Steve Sega
rolling in with everything going on in the world of sports.
Speaker 5 (01:05:35):
What's up, Steve Hello, and he did mention this Edmonton
Oilers team fired the coach today. Edmonton's record three to
nine and one San Jose two and twelve plus and
overtime lay that.
Speaker 4 (01:05:46):
They beat them like three, four to eights. I just
saw that, but somebody put it out on Twitter. I'm like,
I should bet that game. Take San Jose and get
like three to one odds on that.
Speaker 5 (01:05:54):
Yeah, it was an awful team playing a bad team.
Speaker 3 (01:05:57):
That's what it was. That's exactly what it was.
Speaker 5 (01:05:59):
Santa's lost again tonight for to one to Anaheim. Dallas
won its game eight three at Minnesota, and we've got
a lot of football to discuss. The Raiders won at home.
They beat the Jets sixteen twelve, and the Raiders are
up to the five hundred mark, the new head coach
Antonio Pierce was asked about all the work that a
certain wide receiver got on his team. In case you
didn't see the game, DeVante Adams was targeted thirteen times.
(01:06:22):
He had six catches for eighty six yards. What about
all that work? And Pierce says, well, when you have
one of the best receivers in the league, I'm not stupid.
In other words, maybe a prior coach might have been stupid. Wow,
just infuridating there. Yes, Josh Jacobs twenty seven carries one
hundred and sixteen yards. How about this debt for ap
(01:06:46):
The Jets have not scored a touchdown on a drive
longer than one play in a month and a half.
This game was tied nine to nine after three quarters
all field goals. I believe the Jets tacked on one
more just for measure that forty five yard are in
the fourth quarter. So sixteen twelve Raiders the final. Detroit,
speaking of field goals, won on a boot on a
(01:07:08):
final play, beating the Chargers forty one to thirty eight.
Seattle kicked a field goal as time expired to defeat
Washington twenty nine to twenty six, Arizona twenty five twenty
three over Atlanta on a short field goal on the
last play. Houston won at Cincinnati on a field goal
final play thirty to twenty seven, and Cleveland with a
comeback at Baltimore thirty three thirty one field goal last
(01:07:31):
second did the trick. There. The Baltimore Ravens led literally
almost the entire game, almost sixty full minutes. They got
a very early pick six. Baltimore was up fourteen to
nothing in the first five minutes. There's a note that
so far in the first ten games of the Ravens season,
they've been behind less than thirty minutes total.
Speaker 3 (01:07:53):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (01:07:54):
In the last forty years of the NFL, only the
nineteen eighty four Dolphins and the ninety eight Broncos had
been better. And those teams started ten.
Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
And oh exactly.
Speaker 5 (01:08:03):
The Ravens are seven.
Speaker 3 (01:08:04):
I'm not right there. Some holding him back.
Speaker 5 (01:08:07):
I remember the Dan Marino eighty four Dolphins, an MVP
year for him, and they got to the Super Bowl
and they wound up blowing a lead and losing an
overtime game to the Chargers.
Speaker 3 (01:08:16):
I was talking about that right now.
Speaker 5 (01:08:17):
Those Dolphins started ten and oh, and they had been
behind less than fifteen minutes in those ten games. That's
just astounding. And the Cleveland guy that kicked the winning
field goal, Dustin Hopkins, the forty yarder. He had just
missed an extra point kick in the fourth quarter with
about four that's why they were behind, and then he
(01:08:38):
kicks the game winner. Miles Garrett is double digit sex
already this season as well. That's six years out of
seven to start his NFL career, he has at least
ten secks. The only player that did better Reggie White,
of course seven years out of seven to start his career.
Rokwan Smith of Baltimore had twenty one tackles in this game.
(01:09:00):
We had more than one out of every four tackles
his team made in the game. Somehow, with the last kick,
Baltimore didn't win the game. Texas A and M fired
coach Jimbo Fisher. He had six years coaching there with
no appearances in the SEC title game. Fisher is owed
about nineteen million dollars to be paid within sixteen days.
Speaker 2 (01:09:20):
I thought more, I thought seventy six million.
Speaker 5 (01:09:22):
The first nineteen has to be paid within sixty now,
and then there's another seven point two million per year
through twenty thirty one, So it's over seventy five million
dollars total that Texas A and M is going to
rake together and pay a guy not to coach them.
Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
Yeah, but they'll take a lot of taxes out.
Speaker 5 (01:09:42):
You thought the Bobby Benia payoff was pretty good with
the Mets, that's nothing compared.
Speaker 2 (01:09:48):
It's really obscene.
Speaker 3 (01:09:49):
It really is.
Speaker 5 (01:09:50):
Yes, that's a good word for it. And it also
shows how much money Texas A and M has criminal criminal.
The late game in the NBA went to the Lakers
that five and five, same record as the Raiders. By
the way, Lakers beat Portland won sixteen to one. Ten
Lebron James was out with a shin injury. Anthony Davis
thirty points back to you.
Speaker 3 (01:10:11):
WHOA I ever so often forget the NBA's going on.
I'm so excited about What.
Speaker 5 (01:10:16):
About those in season tournament games? Have you caught any
of those the past week or two? Yes, Because it's
undeniable that when you look and are blinded by a
court with no wood on it, everything's painted. There's no
wood color on any court. Are you aware of this?
The Tuesday Friday tournament games? Yes, The in season tournament,
(01:10:36):
YEZ completely different court, and so there was something wrong
with the court with Dallas last Friday and they were
the only team using a regular NBA court. Something with
the paint. It wasn't quote up to NBA standards. But
the irony is Dallas. The week before in their inn
season tournament opener at Denver, a guy was at shoot
around and thinking, man, my shots off. I don't think
(01:10:58):
it's me and they measured and they had painted the
three point line wrong the tournament. Between shoot around during
the day and the game that night in Denver, they
had to repaint.
Speaker 3 (01:11:09):
I don't have a problem with it. I don't mind it.
It's just basically a regular season game where they're like,
but this one's on a crazier report.
Speaker 5 (01:11:19):
For the NBA Cup.
Speaker 3 (01:11:20):
If you win the NBA Cup, do you have a
parade for that?
Speaker 5 (01:11:24):
Do you even put up a banner?
Speaker 3 (01:11:26):
I don't even know.
Speaker 4 (01:11:27):
Blank read the whole thing to me last year when
it came and I didn't remember anything.
Speaker 5 (01:11:31):
And they're playing for cash, that's what we know cash.
Speaker 2 (01:11:35):
Do the winners advance and play each other?
Speaker 5 (01:11:38):
Then you play everybody's in groups. Semis and finals are
in Vegas. December seventh and ninth.
Speaker 3 (01:11:44):
I can't waits excitement going right now. But if your
knicks are there and they're playing in like some sort
of championship, you're gonna be all about it, all right.
It's already in playing Comedy Live from the Tirack dot
Com Studios HD a couple tweets because I really haven't
done a good job on that. Tonight at Stinking Genius one,
I'm at playing show crazy Tanker Rights. The reason that
(01:12:07):
Washing kid Kid dropped the ball to one is because
the dogs are favored by six and a half. They
got a safety on the next play to cover, but wouldn't.
Speaker 4 (01:12:17):
They have Yeah, you know exactly, Yeah, thank you simple
math there.
Speaker 3 (01:12:23):
Where did oh? Wait? Hold on home, mister nobody writes,
I'm going to give you a lengthier breakdown from the
weekend that was. Jordan Love showed once again he's not
ready for primetime with another soul crushing iron t to
end the game, which, by the way, can I step
in there real quick? Washed a lot of that game.
We got it in our market. I didn't think it
(01:12:46):
was his fault. I thought his receivers kind of sucked.
I thought their game plan was terrible, but okay, it's
always gonna be the quarterback's fault.
Speaker 4 (01:12:54):
No, I understand that, but I'll tell you I bot
watching all the red zone and watching all the high
Why eat and watch what's going on in Green Bay
after Rogers is gone.
Speaker 2 (01:13:03):
I don't think I've seen one highlight where I said,
wow that Jordan Love, Wow, that was fantastic.
Speaker 4 (01:13:10):
I don't remember once saying that. I don't remember seeing
a highlight of this guy in two years. I don't
know what that was even doing out there, To be
honest with.
Speaker 3 (01:13:18):
You, he's not doing anything are and he just grabs
the ball and he spikes it and then he throws
it to the other team. Yeah, the Cowboys are like
the pro wrestler who could get beat up on the Wait,
let Maria phrase this, because this is good for mister nobody,
He continues the tweet. The Cowboys are like the pro
wrestler who could beat up on the weak enhancement talent jobbers.
(01:13:40):
That's a true wrestling fan, but always lose to anyone good.
And if the Spanos weren't so cheap, wouldn't Brandon Staley
already be fired? And oh the Raiders may very well
lose the Dolphins next week since Miami has a good offense.
But Antonio Pierce is making me care about the Raiders.
Speaker 2 (01:13:58):
Yeah, I say the same thing out there. He's certainly
doing a good job.
Speaker 4 (01:14:02):
He's got a motivated their happier I could see you
certainly see him getting the full time job out there,
no doubt about that.
Speaker 3 (01:14:08):
I don't know if he'll get the full time job right,
but I know he's definitely gonna put himself in a
position to where more teams are gonna want to bring
him in if the Raiders don't hire him. And then
there's Jeff that writes the NFL refs had to go
to this sportsbook before the game and put a big
bet on the Raiders. Wow, the guy that was the
(01:14:29):
referee tonight. I think the Raiders are like five and
one in games when he's been the head referee.
Speaker 4 (01:14:34):
Really well, it's not like isn't it Joey Crawford and
like San Antonio, what's that come out there?
Speaker 3 (01:14:39):
You know what I mean? He's been retired for like
five years.
Speaker 4 (01:14:43):
I know, but I was like one in eighteen that
they'd win games or something to that.
Speaker 3 (01:14:46):
Yeah, not good, but yeah, I don't care. If they
had a bet on him, they won game over. They're
not going to rescind that, Okay, try to talk about
the referees cheating for the Raiders. Get out of here,
all right, Hey, more of your tweets coming up when
we come back. It's Arnie and Plank plus de Sager
has all the notes, tidbits and stats had caught our
eye right here on Fox Sports Radio. We're coming to
(01:15:09):
you live from the tyrack dot Com studios. Arnie and Plank,
what's up, Steve Sager? What do you got for us
to hello?
Speaker 5 (01:15:15):
Once again? We were talking about the Cleveland comeback at
Baltimore today. Didn't mention that Justin Tucker actually credited with
a missed field goal in a game where they lost
by two. He tried a long one late first half
and it was blocked, and the Browns, despite trailing quickly
and early, get the last second field look like seemingly
half the league today got the last second field goal
(01:15:35):
and wound up winning this game. You were also talking
about refs. The guy who was the referee at the
Detroit game today is from Detroit. He lives in Michigan.
Works in Michigan during the week. He went to school
in Michigan. He's a former Big ten ref. I didn't
see anything about him skewing the game or anything. I'm
just it was a little odd. The Detroit Lions had
(01:15:56):
one of those last second field goals to win a game.
First half, Detroit on third down conversions was zero for five,
but going forward on fourth down three for four in
the first half, so they kept moving the ball. The
Detroit Lions are the number two offense in the NFL.
They averaged coming into today that's three hundred and ninety
yards per game. They had over three hundred yards just
(01:16:18):
in the first half. In LA today it was nine
yards per play. They hadn't punted yet. Fortunately for the Chargers,
Keenan Allen was over one hundred yards receiving in the
first half. Eventually, the Chargers tied it up thirty one,
all with a sixteen play drive an eight minute drive.
They retied it up at thirty eight all. Lions win
forty one thirty eight and over five hundred thirty yards
(01:16:39):
of offense for Detroit in this cut. Have I mentioned
before on the show that the Chargers have the worst
pass defense in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (01:16:45):
It's amazing how many different ways they lose games.
Speaker 5 (01:16:48):
Actually amazing it really, it really is. It's walking out
of the stadium today, I started thinking this is getting
close to like Nebraska or something. This is really this
is sticking to them. I will say for the offense
and justin Herbert after the slow start was great and
the offense was great. Their last five drives that covers
the last two and a half quarters. Chargers scored a
(01:17:09):
touchdown on every single drive to finish the game their
last five, but they didn't have the ball last last
three and a half minutes. Detroit had it and got I.
Speaker 4 (01:17:19):
Need a video of the saga at the game showing
us around giving the tour.
Speaker 2 (01:17:24):
Come on, we need a video of that to say
you let's get that guard.
Speaker 3 (01:17:27):
You know what. I was a little disappointed. I asked
harm I saw Harmon post it on Instagram. When you
guys let him come to what the Bears game? Yes?
You got there?
Speaker 5 (01:17:34):
Yeah he had Rob of course from Michigan. Rob was
at the Detroit game today.
Speaker 3 (01:17:38):
I didn't know if he lets you guys do the
full meal deal tour, if there's any video of you
celebrating or high five and we can't get our stats
guy to shut up on the broadcast, Seger, So, do
you just talk non stop the whole time or I.
Speaker 5 (01:17:50):
Don't actually bring the microphone down. It's at the top
of the head. I don't actually speak. But what you
were talking about, Arnie, about the close games, just remember
the Miami opener at the Charge this year. That was
a back and forth game like this with the Detroit
the Lions against the Chargers Today. Miami scored late and
won thirty six thirty four. The very next week, Chargers
lost in overtime at Tennessee. The Monday night game where
(01:18:14):
the Chargers hosted Dallas, that was a three point loss.
Today lost on a field goal on the final play.
Justin Herbert threw four touchdown passes today, fourth time in
his career, fourth time in the last four years he's
done that. Austin Eckler had over one hundred total yards
so far. The first round wide receiver from TCU, Quinton Johnston,
has been largely a bust, including today when he was
(01:18:36):
missing receptions and they need him because of two wide
receiver injuries, including Mike Williams. But Johnston got bailed out
with three pass interference calls, so that some of these
drives kept going, but it's been a disappointment so far.
As for what happened tonight in Las Vegas, the Raiders,
now five and five, beat the Jets sixteen to twelve.
(01:18:56):
The Jets are one of the few teams in the
last three decks, aids of NFL Football to in your
first nine games have less than nine touchdowns on offense.
That has actually been the case, believe it or not.
The Raiders, by the way, are on that list from
about fifteen years ago.
Speaker 2 (01:19:11):
No, you can't put it all on Zach Wilson.
Speaker 3 (01:19:14):
I mean, look, look how I knemick everything is.
Speaker 4 (01:19:16):
I mean, Mike Goodness, the coaches have to take some
responsibility for putting nothing around them.
Speaker 5 (01:19:20):
Breeze Hall on the ground thirteen carries twenty eight yards. Tonight,
Wilson could run a little, but he threw an interception
with about a minute left. There was the reference that
Dovin cooked signing.
Speaker 3 (01:19:30):
Oh that was good, right, It does nothing for you.
Speaker 5 (01:19:33):
The reference last segment to Green Bay to late interceptions thrown.
Packers lost twenty three to nineteen to Pittsburgh, which somehow
keeps winning. Jalen Warren fifteen carries one hundred and one
yards and a touchdown and the game in Germany, Indy
beat New England. For those who didn't wake up early,
I catch you didn't miss anything. Ten to six was
the final for the Colts. Pats are two and eight.
(01:19:55):
Mac Jones was sacked five times, he threw one interception
and was benched late. We did have in college basketball.
UAB beat Maryland Weaver State one at number twenty three.
Saint Mary's women's basketball number two, Yukon lost at NC State.
Stanford beat number nine Indiana and a reminder. The MLB
Awards Week starts tomorrow. We'll find out who the Rookies
(01:20:16):
of the Year are. We assume Corbyn Carroll of Arizona
in the National League. I can't wait Tuesday. The Managers
of the Year Wednesday will get the cy Young Award
winners and MVPs on Thursday.
Speaker 3 (01:20:26):
Oh boy, that's stuff. I sense your excitement brewing over.
That's my favorite time.
Speaker 5 (01:20:30):
That's because there are no mets.
Speaker 3 (01:20:32):
That's right. My favorite segment of our show is coming
up next. What we learned? What have we learned? In
the National Football League. We'll get your tweets as well
as we had on the home stretch. It's any plank
right here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (01:20:45):

Speaker 4 (01:21:00):
Wow, what a weekend. It has been the sports weekend
of my life.
Speaker 3 (01:21:06):
You might just retire.
Speaker 4 (01:21:09):
Dolphins didn't play, otherwise they would have won. My Wildcats
won in basketball and football. I won my rec league
game that they may throw me out of the league
because I talk so much smack They're getting upset with me.
Speaker 3 (01:21:20):
So, I mean, isn't it like a sixteen over league
or something or no, No, it's twenty one and over.
This is the twenty one and over.
Speaker 4 (01:21:27):
So and I'm taking talking year olds. Oh yeah, I
got some good stuff on the sideline. I mean that's
all I really, because I don't know my sidelights. Yeah,
and I'm taking my ref exam, so I yeah, it's
very tough, but I should do.
Speaker 3 (01:21:41):
You is it Is there any physical record? I mean people,
Artie's actually he works out. You're Are you still an
Orange Theory guy?
Speaker 1 (01:21:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:21:48):
Still good to Orange Theory. You know, still dragging myself
there four or five times a week.
Speaker 2 (01:21:53):
Nothing.
Speaker 3 (01:21:53):
I have nothing else to do during the day. But
I'm just are you basketball refing? I mean football? What
do you know? Basketball? They do.
Speaker 4 (01:22:02):
They're desperately need of basketball reps here in the state
of Vermont, So I figure I may do it. And
you know, and plus, did I get to yell at
kids and give them much of a temper to be
a referee? I think so I would like, shut up,
you don't know what you're talking about.
Speaker 3 (01:22:18):
I was a good call, and you change your mind
a lot, so that would be kind of you know what,
You're right.
Speaker 4 (01:22:23):
I think I'm gonna change that. That wasn't traveling, my mom,
You're right. I'm sorry, my bad bad.
Speaker 3 (01:22:29):
Now you you go live, you put me live watching
you officiate a game? Oh yeah, you want to see that? Huh,
I'll watch that. Hey, we're coming toy live from the
ti rack dot com studios. Funny tirac dot com. We'll

As you all know, Arnie sends his own personal rundown
for this show. Yes, and on row numeral number three,
number three, we start hour three with after week ten,
I know this. Where would you like to start, stinking genius?
Speaker 2 (01:23:09):
I'll start real simple after week ten, I know this.
Speaker 3 (01:23:13):
Maybe he will not.
Speaker 4 (01:23:14):
Maybe, Yes, the Minnesota Vikings don't miss Kirk Cousins.
Speaker 2 (01:23:18):
They're won five and oh without him or four o
without him.
Speaker 4 (01:23:20):
They they won every game without him, and they won
every game without Justin Jefferson, have they not? So that
is absolutely amazing. They've turned it around. They've won five
in a row. I'm curious to see what it's gonna
be like when Jefferson does come back, how it's going
to be like, and if that disrupts anything. But the
Vikings are on a tear right now, and they're doing
(01:23:42):
it without their quarterback and their top wide receiver.
Speaker 3 (01:23:44):
Well as somebody I don't know. I don't know why.
I think after Derek Carr got knocked out, I keep
I like the sayings, right, I'm a Derek Carr guy.
Right once he got knocked out. Oh, I love the
roller coaster that is Jameis Winston. So thanks to our guy,
Shady Sean for twenty. I magically found this link that
got me to the Vikings Saints game somehow, and I
(01:24:06):
was watching a little bit of it. I don't I
know this isn't a popular opinion right now. I don't
think Joshua Dobbs is very good. I don't know how
this is happening right now. Right He's phenomenal. He's it's
like Todd hit it on the head. The first half
he looks like he should have won every single award
that has ever been given to a quarterback. And the
(01:24:28):
second half he looks like he's throwing with the wrong hand.
So if I'm a Vikings fan, I'm loving it. I
know Kirk isn't coming back this year. He's not on
that Aaron Rodgers plan. But I am begging to get
Justin Jefferson back and hopefully they can keep running the football.
But Arnie, you know what, I'm a little bit disappointed,
even though it's it's a tough kind of road to
(01:24:48):
hoe for him. But one of your guarantees in the
preseason isn't quite dead yet because you did guarantee the
Vikings were going to win the NFC North. Now they
are only two games back, right.
Speaker 4 (01:25:00):
I think I may have nailed every division winner before
the season started.
Speaker 3 (01:25:04):
Well you didn't, because I just laid out and won.
Speaker 2 (01:25:07):
That well that one besides that one.
Speaker 3 (01:25:09):
Yes, but no, you well you didn't pick anyone in
the North, so you didn't have that right. You didn't
even pick the Dolphins in the East. So I think
everybody could pick the Chiefs and get that one right.
By the way, after Week ten, I learned this. I
don't know how to handle teams when they go on
(01:25:29):
losing streaks and then suddenly play incredible like the Niners
did today, like San Francisco. You mean, yeah, I don't
know how to handle that as someone who loves football,
someone who covers sports. I mean, it's it's not like
the Niners lost to like some great teams, right. The
(01:25:50):
Browns weren't necessarily all that great when they lost to them.
They lost nineteen to seventeen a PJ. Walker, Minnesota wasn't
necessarily playing all that well when they lost to them
on what was Monday Night football. I've given the Bengals, right,
the Bengals were okay, but like out of know where,
you have a three game losing streak. Whenever we were
talking about the fact that hey, I don't know. I literally, Arnie,
(01:26:11):
after they beat the Cowboys on this show, that it's
always that like nine, week seven or six, whatever it was.
It's like, after week six, I know this, you can
go back and fight it. On the podcast, I literally said,
I don't know where they're gonna lose. I don't know
when they're.
Speaker 2 (01:26:23):
Gonna lose a game except for the next three.
Speaker 3 (01:26:25):
And then they lost the next three games, right, and
so then I'm out. I'm like, obviously there's something wrong here.
Perty stinks. And then they just absolutely throttle Jacksonville and
Jacksonville not a bad Jaguars team, a Jaguars team that
has some good wins. Arnie. I'm here to basically throw
myself at the mercy of the unknown. I have no
(01:26:46):
idea what to make in the San Francisco forty nine
ers team. Right, well, you know what you know.
Speaker 4 (01:26:50):
When you get married, they always say stand up now
or forever hold your pizza. Everybody objects, Well, isn't it
about time we said stand up now?
Speaker 2 (01:26:58):
And I demand an answer on brocky yay or nay.
I go back and forth so many times, you gotta say,
we gotta get an answer now right.
Speaker 4 (01:27:06):
Well, it's gotta be ya. After that game against Jacksonville, right,
he was unreal.
Speaker 3 (01:27:10):
He was real. And I'll tell you what. I appreciate
Kyle Shanahan trying to get Christian McCaffrey the record. I do,
but isn't there a point where you gotta be a
little bit smarter about it?
Speaker 4 (01:27:25):
I mean, look at the game wasn't close, and they
were doing that poloney number one.
Speaker 3 (01:27:29):
And this is no offense to Christian McCaffrey or any
of his friends who are listening. Bro, you got a
little injury prone in you, right, You tend to get
hurt rather easily. Yep. The last thing I want is
some angry Jaguar guy wrenching his ankle or him slipping
down and tearing a hammy or something. I just thought that,
and I get it, I understand it already, but I
(01:27:50):
just thought it was really dumb.
Speaker 4 (01:27:51):
And you knew on fourth down that the pass was
coming to him to defend their play. Yes, he didn't
pick it off and run it back. I would have
just put all eleven guys on McCaffrey. See what they
would have thrown it to him, All eleven guys on McCaffrey.
They're just gonna throw it to him. That's exactly what
they did.
Speaker 3 (01:28:06):
All right, what you got next?
Speaker 4 (01:28:08):
I said this earlier, but after a week ten, I
know this. You guys don't know this. I'm the only
person that seems that does know this. So you'll catch
up with me sooner or later. No, Lamar isn't the
greatest thing. Matter of fact, he's not even one of
the top five quarterbacks you would take in the NFL
for all the money that he's getting out there. Yes
he's a good quarterback, but sometimes he holds the Baltimore
(01:28:31):
Ravens back and you guys don't see it. And he
only completed thirteen passes today. That's not going to cut
it if they think they're gonna go far in the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (01:28:41):
But no credit to the Browns defense.
Speaker 2 (01:28:44):
We weren't talking about the Browns defense now.
Speaker 3 (01:28:46):
I'm just saying, you have spent this whole show tonight
like dancing on Lamar Jackson's grave. And he went up
against one of the better defenses in the NFL, in
the Cleveland Browns.
Speaker 4 (01:28:57):
It doesn't matter the Browns. The Ravens have a great defense.
San Francisco's got a great defense. Everybody got a great defense.
Just got a great defense. I'm tired of hearing that, boloney.
Speaker 3 (01:29:08):
I'm tired about hearing facts, not a fact.
Speaker 4 (01:29:11):
So everybody's got a good defense. Work around it. We're
playing it.
Speaker 3 (01:29:14):
All, let's go work around it. Okay, after a week
I almost said we five? After ten, week eleven, wherever
the hell we are? We ten? I know this, and
I again am having to call myself out on this.
The Bengals aren't necessarily back yet.
Speaker 2 (01:29:32):
No they aren't. They're not at all.
Speaker 3 (01:29:34):
And it was a pretty good run, right. They had
won four straight games. In that dominating win over San Francisco,
took care of Buffalo. I just I like Houston a lot.
In fact, if I were had been if I'd been
someone that was putting the rent check if you will,
on a preseason over underwin total, I would have been
(01:29:54):
all over the over on the Houston Texans. But I
don't think that you can lose that game at home, right,
And Houston. Houston gave you so many opportunities to win
that game. Joe Burrow was not very good. Through a
couple of picks, ran into a couple of sacks. They
couldn't run the football. Sixteen carries for fifth what was
it sixty six yards for the Cincinnati Bengals today, Burrow
(01:30:18):
and Mixon were the only guys that ran the ball.
Jamar Chase was good when he's supposed to be hurt.
But Arnie, do we start Pannikin a little bit about
the Cincinnati Bengals. Even though we give our flowers to
the Houston Texans. They played well. But is it maybe
a little bit of a pannikin Pannikin Anakin Skywalker time
for the Cincinnati Bengals, knowing they're going to Baltimore next week,
(01:30:39):
then they've got Pittsburgh, then they've got to go to Jacksonville.
Speaker 4 (01:30:42):
You better, paddick, because I don't think they're going to
make the playoffs. Matter of fact, playing in a hard division,
owing to win the division one and four of the
conference were they probably gonna lose every tiebreaker out there.
I think they're in big, big trouble, my friend. I
keep a strong eye in Cincinnati, because even if they
go ahead and get you know, one game above five hundred,
(01:31:02):
they're not gonna make it in.
Speaker 3 (01:31:03):
They're gonna have to do better than that, you know,
all right, where you want to go next? After week ten?
Speaker 4 (01:31:07):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:31:08):
After week ten?
Speaker 4 (01:31:09):
And you know I've said this before. I'm when I'm
talking about certain teams. But the Patriots they got the
biggest game next week against the Giants. They'll probably lose
that game and that's it. There's not another game on
the schedule that they're going to win. They're gonna be
two and fifteen, and they're probably gonna have what is it,
(01:31:30):
the first or second pick, because I'm not so sure
Carolina doesn't win again in that crappy division that they
play in.
Speaker 2 (01:31:38):
So it's a big game next week for the Patriots.
Speaker 4 (01:31:40):
It's two weeks for the Patriots. Oh, I'm sorry I
say that, two weeks. They lose that one against the Giants.
I got to think they're right there to get the
number one picking, and unless I'm completely nuts about that,
the number one pick of the draft there, Chriz.
Speaker 3 (01:31:55):
I do. I do like the point that Dan Patrick made.
What's that if Greg Popovich was probably on his way
to ride into the sunset and drank wine and traveled
Italy and be done with basketball, and then they got
Victor Winmbanyama could getting a Caleb Williams or a drake
(01:32:15):
may be something that then becomes I don't know what
the proper term would be a jumpstar to recharge or
resuscitation for Belichick knowing that they don't have their answer
at quarterback on that roster right now? Oh yes, absolutely,
what would the Patriots want him to be? That guy
like I wants to have his new menu options? Right?
Speaker 2 (01:32:36):
I right, I don't have I do not have the
answer to that one.
Speaker 4 (01:32:39):
By the way, the Giants you told me had spent
all the money on Daniel Jones. If they get to
number one pick and they still get Kleb Williams, they
get rid of.
Speaker 3 (01:32:47):
Jones or not.
Speaker 4 (01:32:47):
Yes, yes, even though it's gonna cost them, even though
though I have to play with like five guys, because.
Speaker 3 (01:32:53):
Goodbye, you're sitting here complaining about uh Jima Fisher's buy out, Right,
I think the Giants will be fine. Yeah, I understand it,
but I mean, yes, bye, goodbye, see you audios later.
You're telling me you'd rather continue to ride with you. No, no, no, no,
not at all.
Speaker 2 (01:33:12):
But you told me that it's such a hindrance.
Speaker 4 (01:33:15):
It is against the cap you eat, and it just
damages your team so badly.
Speaker 3 (01:33:19):
Sure, you take canl will.
Speaker 2 (01:33:22):
It doesn't make it sure, Yeah, it doesn't make it.
Speaker 3 (01:33:24):
One year or two. You eat it. You take your year.
You let your guy learn. You decide if Dable's gonna
be the guy that you're gonna let him. Let him
be the guy to develop your team, and it developed
this quarterback, that's fine. If not, can you move on
and you bring in your coach, Lincoln Rally whomever.
Speaker 4 (01:33:37):
Yeah, I was gonna say, not gonna bring up Lincoln
Riley with you at the same time or what?
Speaker 3 (01:33:41):
No, you want a guy that is going to coach
a defense after week ten? I know this. We have
to start listening to the noise about Belichick potentially being
done in doing.
Speaker 2 (01:33:53):
Oh yeah, well I've been telling finally that.
Speaker 3 (01:33:55):
Well, you've been telling us for three years. I mean,
there's I've been ahead of the curve. No, you've been
wrong for two years now.
Speaker 2 (01:34:01):
Although that's another way to look at it.
Speaker 3 (01:34:03):
The noise kids a little bit louder. I still can't
fathom it. I have a hard time compartmentalizing it. But
I will say I don't know if Jared Mayo's the answer.
I don't know if there is another coach out there.
That Jonathan Kraft might have his eye on, or Robert
Kraft would want. I think in everybody's mind they would
like to see the Patriots bounce back. But that was
(01:34:25):
hard to watch. And I love football, aren't you know
that that was hard to watch?
Speaker 4 (01:34:30):
Can you get a first time coach coach the Patriots?
Is it a little different than being a coach of
the Raiders?
Speaker 3 (01:34:37):
Can't you say? Hey, wait to be the here Now?
Speaker 4 (01:34:39):
It's one thing to coach the Raiders, but we're the Patriots,
my friend, We're a little, you know, two steps above
everybody else. Well, you need to have a pedigree to
be able to coach us or know?
Speaker 3 (01:34:48):
Am I wrong on that?
Speaker 5 (01:34:50):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:34:50):
I don't know. I think that's a fair point. I
think that's a fair point. But what kind of pedigree
is it? I don't know. But when I felt coaching experience,
I guess when Tom Landry left, they brought in Jimmy Johnson.
Jimmy and boy, they really stunk for a year, but
harrimed out fairly. Well. I think I was trying to
(01:35:10):
think of other legends recently that had retired and who.
Speaker 4 (01:35:13):
But that was a big thing. Let me tell you something.
When they got rid of Tom Landry that if there was.
I don't think there was talk radio back then, but
had there.
Speaker 3 (01:35:20):
Been, so there was, you're Randy Galloway's of the World
and stuff. Oh, they were crushing Jerry Jones for it.
It's like, how dare you you made Tom Landry cry?
Speaker 4 (01:35:29):
Oh my goodness, do that now and see what you
get with Twitter and everything else?
Speaker 3 (01:35:33):
You know? Oh I now, I mean they they want
guys fired after the first game that they co It's
just like, oh, this isn't gonna work. He just lost
the game, all right. I want to get to some
of the tweets on this when we come back. But
aren't he anything else you want to add that you
learned after Week ten of the NFL season.
Speaker 4 (01:35:47):
No, I think we hit all the games that we
got down earlier. I mean, other than the Giants just
stinking up the joint. Oh, by the way, after week ten,
I know, this the most uninteresting game out there, even
though it was a close game with Seattle in Washington.
Speaker 3 (01:35:59):
I had no interested in that one. I don't know why.
Just did the red zone channel even like go to
that game I think once or twice a couple of times,
and let me reiterate my favorite stat of the night.
Not only do we know these things to be concrete
and true after week ten, but we also know we
saw history today. There were five games that ended with
the game winning field goal as time expired in regulation.
(01:36:22):
That's the most featuring a game winning score is time
expired in regulation in one day in NFL history.
Speaker 2 (01:36:30):
Amazing.
Speaker 3 (01:36:31):
Congratulations everybody, we made it all right. When we come
back to your tweets, Arnie's picks are coming up. We've
got whose season came to an end, who saved their season?
And some post games sound all in this final hour
of Arni and Plank on Fox Sports Radio. All right,
it's Arny in Plank on the Fox Football Sunday. Ooh
(01:36:53):
look at this. Look at this? Yeah, Darren from Melbourne, Australia.
Keep up the good work, Arnie, love your work. You
make me laugh. Looking forward to your Cowboys Dolphins super
Bowl prediction coming true. I think you need to work
this into your repertoire more often.
Speaker 2 (01:37:13):
Okay they might. Yeah, no, I thank you very much.
Speaker 3 (01:37:17):
There.
Speaker 4 (01:37:17):
Yeah that was, But that is not what they say
out there in Australia.
Speaker 3 (01:37:20):
They don't. I don't think everyone calls everyone mate, but
I don't know. I've never been. I think they did wrong.
Arnie experience with Australia is relegated to Andrew Gaze from
Seaton Hall. Yeah, and I go with Crocodile Dundee.
Speaker 4 (01:37:33):
I go on one of the I go on the
Fox Sports Radio Network New Zealand.
Speaker 3 (01:37:38):
I think it is.
Speaker 4 (01:37:42):
Yeah, well I do it also, so I go on
that and then yeah, that was a great pick Cowboys Dolphins.
I bet you all the other producer loser producers at
the station wish they had that right now.
Speaker 3 (01:37:53):
Why do you call all the producers losers? They don't
like me. I don't like them. You know, we fight
at each other. That's what Okay. Scotti writes, Well, my
football's smacked a wall Saturday, but at least the basketball
team seems to have founded some offense in the early
part of the season.
Speaker 4 (01:38:11):
Scotty, Scotty, you don't care about college basketball. You're Tennessee
volunteer football fan. Man, you can't talk all the smack
that you talked in the preseason, and then suddenly with
two weeks to go, with two games left, you're selling
me on Rick Barnes' basketball team. This is the conference,
(01:38:32):
and I'm supposed to be excited about going into the
greatest football conference and fans of the Orange of Tennessee.
I'm wearing Tennessee orange for him. You're tweeting me about basketball?
Did you watch any of Did you watch any college
troops over the weekend?
Speaker 3 (01:38:48):
No, it's football season? What are you doing.
Speaker 4 (01:38:52):
I don't think I would have watched if Arizona wasn't
playing Duke, you know right, I was following some of
the other games, and you wouldn't have brought it up
if you lost.
Speaker 2 (01:39:00):
No, absolutely not, of course not.
Speaker 3 (01:39:02):
It wouldn't even be a topico. Josh has a couple
of good ones here. What about harball to New England.
Kraft is dealt with Belichick for over twenty years, so
harpball being difficult and very intense would be nothing new,
you know what.
Speaker 4 (01:39:16):
We'd never really hit on this enough. A couple of
things on this. First of all, what happened to horrible
I think is completely wrong. The commissioner what's his name again,
I'll eate Petiti or some very well done. I think
he inserted himself into the story. I think he didn't
do due process. I think the whole thing is completely wrong.
(01:39:39):
He was out to go ahead, and especially on Veterans'
Day weekend where they couldn't get the temporary restraining order.
Speaker 2 (01:39:46):
I think the whole thing just smelled.
Speaker 4 (01:39:48):
That's not the way we do business, That's not the
way it's supposed to be done.
Speaker 2 (01:39:52):
The whole thing was horrible.
Speaker 4 (01:39:53):
Now, remember they were saying, well, we'll just pull out
of the Big Ten and stuff like that. I'm like,
easy there, slowed out on the knee jerk reaction there,
but don't I don't blame them for being upset. Now,
if I'm Harbaugh, I'm gonna consider every possibility out there
on whoever wants to get a hold of my agent.
I don't care what I signed when I signed it.
(01:40:15):
I'm a free agent as far as I'm concerned.
Speaker 3 (01:40:20):
Michigan didn't do anything wrong.
Speaker 4 (01:40:21):
I know that, but I got to keep my options open.
It's not so much Michigan, but it's the Big Ten.
Speaker 3 (01:40:26):
You know, No, I don't know by the way he
brought the rules.
Speaker 4 (01:40:31):
When you say Michigan did nothing wrong, he started the
season on a three game suspension from Michigan and he's
ending the season on a three game suspension from the
Big Ten.
Speaker 3 (01:40:42):
But you know what, do you really want to do this?
We got Week ten NFL stuff to talk about. The
guy was bringing up Harbaugh to New England. I mean,
we could take over the rest of the show nerding
out on this. But I mean, well, what are you
gonna tell me he does that.
Speaker 4 (01:40:56):
It doesn't happen all over the place in college. That's
dumb enough to leave a paper a trail. You're dumb
enough to get caught. They got caught. You can't muddy
the waters and say everyone does it and Ryan dahanned
this when they have evidence. Michigan has never denied it happened.
Speaker 2 (01:41:11):
Don't make me all of a sudden open up all
the books, right you want me to open up all
the books, I'll go to every program.
Speaker 3 (01:41:17):
Everyone has happen more than had I will dig that
right now. No, you don't.
Speaker 4 (01:41:25):
You know, Chris, this is absolutely ridiculous because stealing signs
is a long time.
Speaker 3 (01:41:29):
Honey. You sat here and cried like a baby about
officiating the other day, cried like a baby. Can you
imagine if you knew that another team had your sign
stolen and it got them illegally, you'd cry even more.
Speaker 4 (01:41:44):
If that happened well, if I'm just giving them out
there and not doing anything to mix it on up,
like you.
Speaker 3 (01:41:50):
Know, like they were doing that. Do you know how
much time you get with the college student athlete during
the week to prepare for a game?
Speaker 2 (01:41:58):
How much time refra I didn't understand that.
Speaker 3 (01:42:01):
Do you know how much time you get with a
student athlete to prepare for a game during the No? No,
twenty hours? Get twenty hours. Can you change everything in
twenty hours in a week? No, you can't. So I
get it, I understand it. Do they need to have
the green dot? Absolutely? But Michigan did something wrong.
Speaker 4 (01:42:22):
I was hard about changing it that in twenty hours
with the information. Then what do you mean, Well, you
say you can't change anything in twenty year.
Speaker 3 (01:42:29):
He's not changing anything. He's just getting the information so
they know what's coming, they know what they're calling. I'm
telling you it is. It's dumb that it's illegal. It's
absolutely ridiculous that you can't advance scout. But it's a rule.
It's it's it's stupid, but it's a rule. And you're like,
let's open up the books for everyone, Well, aren'tie. Everyone's
(01:42:50):
been more than happy to open up their books and
give all the information they have on this, and usually
whenever that happens, that tells me people are pretty pissed
about it. And Tony Petiti was left with really no
other option. I think everybody was complaining for him to
do something. You think there was due process there.
Speaker 4 (01:43:05):
And by the way, you shouldn't be punishing somebody just
because everybody tells you.
Speaker 3 (01:43:08):
You know you have to do something that quickly when
everyone's handing you the evidence of the wrongdoing, Yeah, you
don't do anything.
Speaker 2 (01:43:17):
Maybe next year you could have suspended him for next year.
Speaker 3 (01:43:21):
Maybe that's what they wanted to do. Maybe that's what
they might end up doing. Who knows. I don't wait
for that now if they will, but they get temporary
restraining order. I think this is the dumbest story that's
ever been obsessed about in college sports. I really do.
Speaker 4 (01:43:35):
Well. The only reason, I mean, like you said, I
was filling in on Saturday right now.
Speaker 3 (01:43:39):
It was something you would get this all out of
your system on a Saturday.
Speaker 4 (01:43:43):
Up to an hour before kickoff. I didn't know if
this guy was going to be on the sideliner. It's
eleven o'clock. I'm on neon Eastern and I still didn't
know if this guy was going to be rushed to
the stadium or not. Chris, it was absolutely crazy. If
you read Twitter at that point.
Speaker 3 (01:43:56):
I was unaware. I know, I live I live college
football twenty four to seven sixty, so many reports about
what was going on with him.
Speaker 4 (01:44:05):
It was absolutely insane, absolutely crazy, you know, insane.
Speaker 3 (01:44:10):
Well, what's the old saying. If you're not cheating, you're
not trying, and it's really cheating if you get caught.
They got caught. Man, that's for the SEC. I thought.
Nice for everybody. This is the big tim that we're
talking about. Well, guys, this again, I was trying to
get to your tweets, but this is what happens, so
I apologize. We'll try to hit more coming up here
(01:44:31):
in a bit, but first, for one final time, tonight,
Steve de Seger comes rolling into the tiraq dot Com
studios with everything going on in the world of sports.
Speaker 5 (01:44:39):
What's up, Steve, And you mentioned the NCAA rule. It's
been since nineteen ninety four when they banned off campus
in person scouting of future opponents during the same season,
So like next season, Michigan's playing Texas and USC and
Oregon if they wanted to go see a USC game
this year. Fine, No, it's rule.
Speaker 4 (01:44:57):
Number ten, sub section six, page eighty two. Read the
fine for like Willie walking the talk effectory with a
magnify glass third cent right there and played right there.
Speaker 3 (01:45:08):
It is there. You go, unbelievable.
Speaker 5 (01:45:10):
Probably don't need to scout USC this year. I think
you can draw your own conclusion.
Speaker 3 (01:45:15):
By the way.
Speaker 5 (01:45:16):
You know, it's ten. It's Michigan, ten and Ozero and
they're on the big noon kickoff noon Eastern time on
Fox last weekend or yesterday with the win at Penn
State this weekend with a game at Maryland, and then
the week after that when it hosts number one Ohio
State on Fox at the end of the month. Those
are the last three games of the regular season. Harbaugh
can still be at practices, but cannot be present at
(01:45:39):
Michigan's game venue for these last three games.
Speaker 4 (01:45:42):
Do you think he was like talking to could you
talk to the team at halftime on a cell phone
or on zoom?
Speaker 3 (01:45:47):
Is like addressed the team or and you can't even
do that?
Speaker 5 (01:45:50):
You know that's a way around it, isn't it? Because
I didn't see I read a lot from the Big
Ten conference, and I didn't see no communication. Yes, you
can't physically be in the press box, can't beat you.
Speaker 4 (01:46:02):
That's exactly what That's why we're asking on the igo.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were holding up a
cell phone and he was yelling at the team at
half time, you know, doing something like that.
Speaker 5 (01:46:11):
Well, we've got other college football news because you know
there's a very rich coach who's not going to coach now.
Texas A and M fired jimbo Fisher. He still owed
about nineteen million dollars. That's just the part to be
paid within sixty days and then it's another seven mill
or so per year through twenty thirty one. Embarrassing Texas
running back Jonathan Brooks is out for the season. He'll
(01:46:33):
have surgery for a torn ACL. Missouri's up to number
eleven and the new AP pole Penn State down to
number twelve, Ole miss number thirteen. The top eight stayed
the same. The new Playoff Committee rankings come out on Tuesday.
For Monday Night Football, Bill's wide receiver Stefan Diggs will
play against the Broncos. He was limited in practice Friday
and Saturday with a bad back, but Buffalo safety Micah
(01:46:54):
Hide out with a neck injury on a bye This
weekend where the Dolphins six and three, the Rams who've
lost three in a row, Eagles, and the Chiefs. Next
weekend it's Philadelphia eight and one at Kansas City seven
and two in the Monday night game, and then tonight
we had Raiders Jets, but it still counts as a win.
The Raiders are five and five. They beat the Jets
(01:47:14):
sixteen to twelve in a game that was tied nine
to nine after three quarters all field goals Zach Wilson
and the Jets through an interception with about a minute
to go. Amazingly, Zach Wilson is the first quarterback in
NFL history to win back to back weeks, throw for
at least two hundred and fifty yards but have his
team not score a single offensive touchdown in either game.
(01:47:35):
That's what happened. And you mentioned you mentioned the record
game record day we had with all the game winning
few goals in the NFL. There were five of them
as time expired in the fourth quarter today. There had
never been more than three in a day previously, so
we had though that bit of excite, but and then
we finished with the Raider win. But remember, in the
(01:47:55):
last twenty years of Raider history, they're rarely at the
five hundred mark at this point of the season. And
yet according to AP, it's four of the last five
years they've been at five and five or six and four,
and the Raiders are four and one at home. As
for those late game field goals, Detroit won on the
final play at the Chargers forty one to thirty eight.
(01:48:17):
Detroit with over five hundred and thirty yards of offense
with so many great pass rushers both sides in this game,
there was not a single sack and a ton of offense.
Seattle beat Washington twenty nine twenty six on a field
goal as time expired. Washington had just tied the game
with under a minute to goo. Sam Hell three touchdown
passes in the loss. Seahawks four and one at home,
(01:48:37):
tied for first in the division with San Francisco. Niners
won thirty four to three at Jacksonville. Jaguars are one
in three in Jacksonville this year. They're five to zero
when they play outside Jacksonville. You know the game tomorrow
night Buffalo, what they're home and road. It's a huge difference.
Arizona at home beat Atlanta twenty five twenty three on
a short field goal final play from Matt Prater, who
(01:49:00):
was four for four. The Falcons had missed a two
point pass with about two and a half minutes to
go and lost by two. They didn't have today starting
quarterback Taylor Heineke late in the game. He left with
a hamstring injury. Atlanta is one and four on the road.
Dallas beat up the Giants forty nine seventeen. Dak Press
got over four hundred yards, passing five total touchdowns. Cowboys
four to ozho at home. Houston won at Cincinnati on
(01:49:23):
a field goal final play thirty to twenty seven, the
game winner thirty eight yards from Matt Ammondola. Because Kayimi
Fairbairn is on ir with a quad injury, running back
Damian Pierce to the Texans out again with a bad ankle,
so Devin Singletary had thirty carries, one hundred and fifty
yards and a touchdown. Cleveland won on a last second
field goal at Baltimore thirty three thirty one. Quarterback Deshaun Watson,
(01:49:45):
with the bad ankle, says he'll be fine. Because next Sunday,
Cleveland six and three will host Pittsburgh six and three.
Pittsburgh beat Green Bay twenty three to nineteen. Minnesota won
its fifth game in a row twenty seven to nineteen
over New Orleans, and wide receiver Justin Jeffer is still
on IR with the bad hamstring. He had said he's
not going to play until he's one hundred percent. Tampa
(01:50:05):
Bay twenty to six over Tennessee. The Titans zero to
five on the road. Derrick Henry today eleven carries twenty
four yards and the Patriots are two and eight. After
losing in Germany ten to six to Indianapolis, mac Jones
was sacked five times to the NBA. Finally, Lakers took
the late game, won sixteen one ten over Portland. Minnesota
won at Golden State, won sixteen one ten despite thirty
(01:50:27):
eight points from Steph Curry. Phoenix is four and six
this year. They got outscored by Oklahoma City fourth quarter
thirty one thirteen, lost at home to OKC one eleven
to ninety nine, and at Philadelphia eight and one. Record
for Philly eight straight wins. They got to win over
Indiana one thirty seven one twenty six Tyreese Maxi fifty points,
(01:50:48):
Joel Embiid with thirty seven, Philadelphia's Kelly Ubre averaging seventeen
points a game. Suffered a broken rib hit by a
car as a pedestrian last night.
Speaker 3 (01:50:57):
Thank to you.
Speaker 4 (01:50:58):
By the way, did you guys think that something crazy
was going to happen? Like one thought something crazy was
going to happen at the end of the Jets Raiders
game today that you didn't think anything like nutty.
Speaker 3 (01:51:09):
Was going to happen or what.
Speaker 4 (01:51:11):
Such as why the sega you know better than anybody.
This was the anniversary of the hiding game between the
Jets and the Raiders.
Speaker 5 (01:51:21):
That's over fifty years right, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:51:23):
The Jets of the Raiders were playing.
Speaker 4 (01:51:25):
The Jets were up by three with over a minute
left of the game, and the NBC switched over to
a TV show called Heidi, and nobody got to see
the rest of the game.
Speaker 3 (01:51:35):
Raiders came back and actually won that game, And.
Speaker 5 (01:51:37):
I though't like you get two touchdowns at the end
that nobody said. And that's why they stay with the
game till the end, even if it's a blowout, if
it's you, if it's your city's team.
Speaker 3 (01:51:48):
And I was withering. I go.
Speaker 4 (01:51:49):
I could imagine somebody pulling a prank and just like
switching the game off or something like that.
Speaker 2 (01:51:54):
You know, somebody that's technically swab.
Speaker 3 (01:51:56):
Are you gonna make me be literal plank right here?
What do you know? The game was on November seventeenth. Yeah,
I know, I was. And it was nineteen sixty eight
when that happened, so quite at a time ago.
Speaker 5 (01:52:10):
You know, all right, who was an AFL game? That's
how long ago?
Speaker 2 (01:52:14):
Could you imagine if that happened out. We'll watch at
the end of the game and they just.
Speaker 3 (01:52:17):
Cut away from because there's nothing that ranks higher than
the NFL.
Speaker 5 (01:52:21):
The story is that the executive was calling the NBC
switchboard to say, stay with the game, don't go to
the Sunday Night movie. And there so many fans were
calling in say are you gonna stay with the game
because there.
Speaker 3 (01:52:33):
Was no internet or any Sunday.
Speaker 4 (01:52:34):
Night Movie was pretty big back then. That was a
pretty big thing back then.
Speaker 5 (01:52:37):
Heidi absolutely grandfather the whole thing.
Speaker 3 (01:52:41):
Thanks guys. A couple of other quick tweets here, no way,
Jose writes, Arnie, You're the man, the myth, the legend,
you are my Buddha on NFL Sundays. Without you, I'm nothing, boy.
You got a lot of burner I go to do
your thoughts on the Lions.
Speaker 4 (01:52:58):
Well, we know they're for real. We knew they were
for real beforehand, but now we really know they're for real.
They've gotten some good wins and that was another good win.
Even though they're playing a team that some five hundred,
they go on the road, they get it, they get
a hight scoring affair.
Speaker 2 (01:53:10):
Chargers had things going in the second half.
Speaker 3 (01:53:12):
It was a was a good win.
Speaker 4 (01:53:13):
He doesn't really make a difference if they were only
a three point favorite. They did what they had to
do and another win out there. So they're still building
those steps to win that division.
Speaker 3 (01:53:23):
Julian Rights after Week ten, I know this. It is
o v e R over for the Chargers. Yeah they didn't.
If we're gonna say who saved their season, who didn't
save their season? It is? It is o v R
for the Chargers? Is it not?
Speaker 4 (01:53:37):
One?
Speaker 2 (01:53:37):
Are they now four and five?
Speaker 4 (01:53:41):
So there's some five hundred, But they got so many
teams to climb over, like the Raiders and the Colts
and the Bills and Cincinnati and even Houston.
Speaker 2 (01:53:49):
So it's gonna be a tough go as of it
is right now.
Speaker 4 (01:53:52):
But I don't think the Chargers are are gonna make
it matter of fact that we're gonna do who didn't
save their season?
Speaker 2 (01:53:57):
I think it's o v R for the Jets.
Speaker 4 (01:53:59):
They they win that game, they're five and four, they're
maybe thinking about getting Aaron Rodgers back, and you know,
maybe that does something. But at four and five, why
rushing back? They're like in thirteenth spot. It's oll veer
for the Jets.
Speaker 3 (01:54:12):
You know, they've got the Bills in Buffalo next week.
Oh geez. And then they turn around in five days
and play your Dolphins on that Black Friday game? Wow?
Till he flex out the Black Friday Game. Not I
wouldn't mind watching your Dolphins, but yeah, yeah, And then
Josh writes, we touched on this, did you guys touch
on the big game in a couple of weeks Pats
(01:54:33):
A Giants? Currently the Pats are second and the Giants
are fourth in the draft. Who is gonna take a
safety to lose the game and keep their draft position? JJ,
can the Seahawks please move on from Geno Smith, which,
by the way, I love JJ because he tags everyone
in it that he talks trash on. Now that he's
regressed back to his Jets days, give Drew Locke a chance.
(01:54:56):
Did the Seahawks win today? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:54:58):
But I mean how much longer are you going to
continue with this guy? You know you eventually got get
yourself a future quarterback and start thinking about where are
you gonna go after this? A matter of fact, you
gotta start thinking about a new coach also, don't you?
I mean, after one hundred years old, it's time to
move on after Pete Carroll, don't you think?
Speaker 3 (01:55:14):
Or what keeps winning games? Man? But the guy's one hundred,
he's like seventy two.
Speaker 2 (01:55:20):
Does he do anything other than cheer and chew gum?
Speaker 3 (01:55:23):
They seem to love him up there because he doesn't
do anything. I would disagree. I think he's a pretty
good coach, man. I take my tea what I.
Speaker 4 (01:55:31):
Saw At first, I didn't even know he was the coach.
I thought he was somebody's uncle that had a good
seat for the game.
Speaker 3 (01:55:36):
Right, And what is Mike McDaniel for the Dolphins? He's
a chemistry the chemistry professor, right, yes, chemistry.
Speaker 2 (01:55:44):
Does he not look like a chemistry tutor or what
all right?
Speaker 3 (01:55:47):

and it's good.
Speaker 4 (01:56:14):
The Texans walk off with a win Cincinnati.
Speaker 3 (01:56:18):

Speaker 3 (01:56:38):
Guy? I can't.
Speaker 4 (01:56:39):
I think it was of college basketball who I think
bet on the team and they were down by sixty
and he's like.
Speaker 3 (01:56:46):
Follow him, follow um, you know't follow him? He's doing
stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (01:56:50):
Is that crazy or what?
Speaker 5 (01:56:51):
Man?
Speaker 3 (01:56:52):
I think you can lose your job if you do that.
He was doing it, he was doing it.
Speaker 2 (01:56:57):
I'd tell you it was crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:56:58):
I'll find a lawyer who will allows you to gamble
on the game of your recovering. That's what it's all.
I'm ready, I'm ready to go. Take away, give me
a little music, put me in the mood.
Speaker 4 (01:57:07):
My college picks have been awful, absolutely awful.
Speaker 2 (01:57:13):
Chris, I went three and eight on my college pick.
Speaker 3 (01:57:15):
I'm not surprised.
Speaker 4 (01:57:17):
I have now fifty one and fifty three. I'm a
forty nine percent.
Speaker 3 (01:57:22):
I hit my parlay this week and again. Time to
start paying attention to the plank parlay well every Friday.
Speaker 4 (01:57:28):
But my NFL, I'm like one of the tops on
the planet. I went six and two. I have fifty
four and thirty seven. That's fifty nine point three percent.
If I was playing any of the super book contests
in the NFL, I'd be in the top three, top
five in just about every contest for the five or
ten million or whatever they're playing for.
Speaker 3 (01:57:50):
That's how I am crushing it. So let's get right
out it.
Speaker 4 (01:57:53):
I'm gonna take my Arizona Wildcats and to pick them
against Utah. What a monster game. That is too many points,
a little bit of a letdown for Michigan. I'm gonna
take Maryland plus the twenty one. Give me Penn State
to bounce back, only the nineteen and a half against
Rutgers who can't score to get out of their way.
Give me Louisville minus one and a half against Miami
no offense, buddy, But I'm gonna take BYU at home.
(01:58:15):
I'm getting twenty four against Oklahoma. That's just too many points.
Speaker 3 (01:58:18):
Have you watched BYU the last three weeks? No? Too
many points? Though? See what Iowa State did to him
last week? No, what did they do to him last week?
They beat him by about one hundred.
Speaker 2 (01:58:31):
I saw Oklahoma the last three weeks.
Speaker 3 (01:58:34):
What they do last week?
Speaker 2 (01:58:36):
I saw them before the last week.
Speaker 3 (01:58:37):
I'm just asking about this last week. I'm trying to
help you with your BYU. Bet.
Speaker 4 (01:58:41):
I like BYU plus the twenty four, and I'm gonna
take USC minus the five and a half against U Cola.
Speaker 3 (01:58:48):
Over to the NFL game. College picks are terrible.
Speaker 4 (01:58:51):
I know they've been out there awful. I'm gonna take
Baltimore bies the three and alf against Cincinnati. Give me
the Lions minus nine advagainst Chicago. You know I'm taking
by Dallas and against the Raiders. I'll public get up
the late nine.
Speaker 3 (01:59:02):
I don't have a line on that. It's ten. Oh
it's ten. Yeah, well I'll lay the ten. That's fine
with me.
Speaker 4 (01:59:08):
I'll take Washington Lee and nine and adv against the Giants.
Give me San Francisco about his ten def against Tampa.
I'm gonna take the Bills against the Jets. I don't
have a light on that one.
Speaker 3 (01:59:17):
And I'll take the Texans laying five andF against the Cardinals.
Speaker 2 (01:59:20):
There you have my picks.
Speaker 3 (01:59:21):
Do with them as you please, no longer strictly for
entertainment purposes. Only should add that Arnie will change all
of his picks on Friday, so make sure you follow
him a stink. He'll post the screenshot of his notebook
instead of just typing them out for you. I can
help you. I can help you with that. I mean,
if you.
Speaker 2 (01:59:38):
Want to like people like my penmanship, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:59:42):
If that's necessarily true. I think you like I think
you don't want to learn a new skill. You want
to become a referee. So you can tell everyone that
you're a referee, but you won't even learn how to
type out your stuff. That's true. Be easy for you,
all right. Any thoughts on Broncos Bills. We didn't hit
on tonight.
Speaker 2 (02:00:00):
We'll see if the Bills bounce on back.
Speaker 4 (02:00:02):
You know they should. If they don't win this game,
there's big, big trouble. There may be changes in Buffalo
if this one's not gonna If they don't win this one.
Speaker 3 (02:00:08):
Hey, Sean McDermott man, he hasn't been afraid to move
on from some people. It'll be very interesting to see
if they would be willing to move on from him
if things don't go so well. Great job tonight. B
our producer Brandon Truffa. Uh Lorena had to bail out,
but she crushed it tonight. Steve de Seger is always
on updates. Arnie. Should be a fun week Let's see
if we can see, we're gonna have a good Thursday
(02:00:29):
night games. See, we canna have a fun weekend. Have
a great week man. Good luck in your refereeing class.
Thank you, my friend. I'm sure I'm gonna crush. I
can't wait, Yeah, yeah, I can't wait. I can't wait
till you come back with all your stories from your
refereeing certification. Y'all have a great start to your week.
