we appreciate it. Keep those going, keep evangelizing. It's the
gift that keeps giving in this holiday holiday holiday season.
Mike Carmin alongside Ryan Berschinger, our guy Dan Bayer, will
(00:55):
be by a little later on to give you the
give me one reason the start and sits as he
isolates it, analyzing the matchups and potential peril or glory
for your fantasy team. Of course, you find Ryan as
part of the Swing Shift podcast that he does with
our colleague Bo Benson. That's Dodger and Baseball talk for you.
(01:17):
As the Hot Stove League gets going. I think they
set a rosary and started just putting things out into
the atmosphere for show. Heo Tani, maybe Blake Snell. I
don't know who else you want on your wish list
for this holiday season.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
Ryan Otani Yamamoto would be great. Tyler Glass now, Randy
Rosmarina package.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
A side of Justin Turner or Cody Bellinger coming home,
you know that kind of thing.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
Maybe something like that, you know, early two thousands. Adrian
Beltray would be great. And you know a prime Willy
May as well.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
We're at it nicely done as I'm staring at a
nineteen fifty four tops Willie Mays at the stock of
a stop top of ack upgraded cards I have here
in the Harmon Castle, as it were, all right? Find
Ryan on Twitter at Ryan Berscheger. Find me over at
Swollen Dome, a couple of guys to get to. You know.
Earlier in the week we had the breakdown and the
(02:14):
analysis of the post Deshaun Watson era and the dtr
age coming for the Cleveland Browns that game against Pittsburgh
thirty two and a half. It's only appropriate that a
team with Iowa colors is playing in a game that
has a thirty two and a half total for this week.
But yeah, that Justin Fields for my beloved Chicago Bears.
(02:39):
The return seems imminent in a big matchup against the
Detroit Lions. But a couple other guys that were keeping
an eye on fantasy stalwarts that people have been waiting, wishing, wanting,
hoping for their returns. First, we'll start in Minnesota, where
the Vikings everybody's feel good team led by Josh Dobbs.
You would look good in a Bread Owned uniform. Right now,
(03:02):
Josh Dobbs and company head to Denver for a big
Sunday night affair against the suddenly surging Denver Broncos, and
all eyes on Justin Jefferson from the practice notes, from
his comments, everything would point to him coming back in
bursh But we also have the little matter of Patrick
Sartan being on the other side. So right now we've
(03:25):
got the I don't knows. It's a Sunday night game,
which is absolutely the worst thing for fantasy owners right
of the well, we won't get an official in or
out until you've already made the decisions on most of
your lineup.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
Yeah, at the time of this recording, it's still no
straight answer as to whether or not Jefferson's playing. But
if he's in, of course he's justin Jefferson. He sees
a smash play, But as you're saying, the matchup is
not fantastic for him because he's going to face a
whole lot of Patrick Surtan. Even though the Broncos as
a whole are or defense, he can definitely move the
(04:01):
ball on He's still got one of the toughest one
on one matchups that he could have. Hopefully we'll get
answers prior to that game time, but I would imagine
he's not going to be in your top five receivers
as it is.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
No, no, not as it was. Anyway, I would be
looking at a high end WR two because the other
part is, you know, this is one that is a
difficult matchup against Dobbs. You know, we make fun of
the Broncos, and if you just take straight rankings based
on season to date, then yeah, you're like, oh wow,
this is a massive opportunity. They've been pretty good the
(04:35):
last couple of weeks against Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. Now,
particularly in the Bills case, some self inflicted wounds that
Stemy drives right. I think most specifically that gave Davis
the ball whizzing through his hands for an interception that
should have set up a first and ten from the twelve,
you know, as one thing that might have tipped the
(04:57):
scales and maybe you get yourself a different game there after.
But it's a team that has played better, gotten healthier,
So there is at least a little bit of a
little bit of hand ringing to go on. What I
would say is, I know kJ Osbourne had been returned
to a lot of waiver wires. It's possible that he's
there as an emergency pickup just in case Jefferson's not
(05:20):
able to go that you would have a secondary option
at your disposal.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
Yeah, and that would that would be a strong option
because you figure Addison then gets that that certan treatment,
So it opens up the field a good amount for
kJ Osborne. So there's there's a good, a good contingency plan.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
All right. Well, let's go to the other, perhaps more
explosive option, not only for the week, but a guy
that everybody's been waiting at a running back position. I
show you each week where I'm sitting in the Fantasy
pros rankings that I continue to laugh at myself for
my inability to really make any traction in the running
back position, you know, top five at cores and doing
(06:01):
really well top third and wide receiver, tight end, whatever
running back position has just been an abject failure. I
gotta go back and look at what their methodology is
because I feel like I hit on some pretty good
sleeper plays, but they don't seem to be helping bolster
me at all. But a guy that might help lineups
getting back in h Chan looks like he's ready to
(06:22):
come back here for your Miami Dolphins coming out of
the bye week and a smash opportunity to use your
term when you're a nearly two touchdown favorite against the
feel good story of the Las Vegas Raiders.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Yeah, yeah, assuming if if Han is a full go,
but which again, we're in a situation where at the
time this recording and there's there still doesn't seem to
be a straight answer as to whether or not he's
gonna be playing. He was limited in practice throughout the week,
But yeah, if he's if he's going against the Raiders,
both him and most are excellent plays, and we can
(07:00):
look at what this means for Raheem Moster moving forward,
but at least right off the bat, you're still playing
Raheem Mostard in this matchup. The explosiveness of Achan goes
without saying. Given that he's played in four games this season,
one of them was only in one rush, so we
throw that out. His really three games this season running back,
one running back, four running back. For uh, it's it's remarkable.
(07:24):
He's you know, he's he's still running back eight on
the season. Yeah, that's yes, HiT's.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
A weird year, Perch. We've talked about this a lot.
It is, uh, you know, when we think about the
failures and the you know, Ken Dorsey loses his job,
but James Cook was still a top ten running back. Yeah,
in terms of yardage and all of these things. Uh.
For Chan, you know, you really just start to put
into I mean, because you can analyze it one of
(07:52):
two ways. Wow, he was just that dominant or man
the running back position is really under assault in a
whole other way, whatever the case may be. Obviously, if
he's in, you know, from the Fantasy pros world, he
is in as a top ten pick. He's sitting at
the number nine spot as we were recording just a
couple hours ahead of Thursday Night football, so curious to
(08:15):
see updates the Friday practice notes, et cetera. But those
that have had him stashed on their bench or were
able to pick him off the carcasses of dead guillotine
League teams are feeling pretty good about themselves. Right now.
We continue on I watch your Flex Week eleven of
your National Football League as we get things popping for
(08:38):
a big weekend. No Falcons, no Colts, no Patriots, thank god,
and no Saints. So you'll have to find a replacement
for your Taysom Hill tight end position there. But you
don't have to worry about you know, Alabama Mac or
some of these other heroes. But some fewer holes in
lineups burst, but still some that we need to navigate.
(09:00):
So let's get to the quarterbacks in Arnest right now,
riding a hot streak. We'll go with Dak Prescott right
off the jump, going against the Carolina Panthers, big road
favorites in this one. If nothing else, you know, the
defense is going to give that offense of Dallas a
lot of advantageous field position given where we're at with
(09:20):
the Carolina offense right now, tough run for Bryce Young
given that his counterpart c J. Stroud has been so dominant.
But let's face it, it's a broken offense. Michael Parsons
and companies should feast and Dak Prescott will be the
beneficiary as he has been these last couple of weeks
for fantasy purposes. You know you had him stash as
(09:41):
your bet on your benchs QB two. He's now making
things uncomfortable for you with a streak of huge performances
Monday night football coming out of the bye week, Kelsey's
trip to Argentina, whatever else. And you know one of
the guys that we're looking at is Patrick Mahomes in
this offense to finally maybe start clicking in a little
different way, finding those secondary receivers receiving options to make
(10:05):
some hay and against Philly, I mean we're talking about
a game that is in the mid forties for the
over under and one of the most anticipated night games.
We did my rant against night games and your eyes,
my eyes, the a nation's eyes being weary to watch
this week, No, we got an exciting one number three.
See the aforementioned CJ. Stroud going up against Arizona. This
(10:29):
is one for the game purposes that like, there's a
little bit of hand ringing for me, wondering when the
good times end. But then you analyze the matchup to say,
now the good times should continue here going up against
Cardinals at least because you've got on the other side
Kyler Murray back. We saw some good things out of him,
which means they'll be pushed. They will be pushed by
this squad. Forty nine is the total in that one burst,
(10:52):
So expecting some fireworks. Jalen Hurts on the other side
of that Monday night matchup against Cansas City, try to
stop aj Brown, you try it? And number five ready, ready,
I'm going from my price shot, all right, Sam Howell,
uh huh? Going up against the New York Football Giants,
the Commanders are nine point favorites. I mean they should
(11:15):
frame this and put this on a wall, just that
that exists in a game where the over under is
thirty seven, Yeah, thirty seven, Sam Howell keeps winging it.
Is it always clean? Is it always pretty? No? But
you know what, the fantasy folks that have started him
along the way, and I've seen him picked up in
a lot of leagues for this matchup given some of
(11:36):
the other difficult spots and injury issues at the position.
So give me Sam Howell to make a big push.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
A thirty nine point total. That means we're looking at
a fifteen point implied total for the New York Giants.
So I said, you know, on yesterday's episode Smash that
that Commander's defense. I do not care how bad they've been.
You're playing the New York Giants. That is a beautiful,
beautiful matchup, And I don't know, you really think the
(12:05):
Giants are gonna put together two touchdowns? No, I think
Sam Howel is a great play. I think that I'm
facing the decision of Sam Howel or Jared Goff this week,
and I keep going back and forth on that one
because I think that obviously they're both in great matchups.
But how is that that feels like the ceiling is
(12:27):
higher there because they that that Commander's offense will u
We saw it last week like they can't explode at
any given point, and it doesn't feel like they would
want to pull the reins in at any point, even
if they're blowing out the Giants. I think that that
Howl's an excellent play, and I do want to you've
(12:47):
you've mentioned it, but we we have to give you
credit here because we we have to. I really want
to bring light to this. On fantasypros dot com, you
can find the expert Accuracy rankings and they have over
one hundred and eighty experts in their in their rankings,
you are currently sitting at number four with your quarterback
(13:08):
rankings on the season, and you're in terms of accuracy,
which is astounding. Like that is that is top tier.
Like I hope people understand that when they're listening to
your quarterback rankings, they're getting some of the best rankings
that they can get in the country. So I appreciate you.
We we gotta, we gotta shout you out. We gotta
bank that drum. And I also just want to mention
(13:29):
because I find it so fascinating that the number one
person on QB accuracy is Mark Ringo of Sleepers and Bus.
He is also number one in ranking kickers, but his
rankings for the rest of it one sixty five in
running backs, one seventy seven, in receiver one seventy eight,
and tight end. That is a a an absolute wild dichotomy.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Yeah, I would have to go back and look maybe he's,
you know, the quarterback expert for the site, and that's
somebody else does the other rankings, so he's you know,
kept stuff as whatever the bases and gets no credit
for it, so he's at the bottom. I have no idea,
like again, the methodology and the process, because I know
for a while there were some folks that would pop
(14:14):
in and they would use it more or less as
an easy way to create their rankings grid as you
could export. It was easy to export the rankings set
up that way onto your own website and whatever. That
got harder or I got dumber, one of the other.
But yeah, no, I appreciate the love. We've had some
(14:35):
good success there. Now let's go to the running back position,
and you know, caveat emptor beware, buyer, beware, because as
I said, this one a little more difficult to run through,
especially when you start adding the PPR and the different
permutations to things and league setups. It gets a little weird,
a little hanky. But let's let's start it off. We
(14:56):
got Travis Etn going up against Tennessee is our number one.
The Jaguars as an offense, they leave me wanting oftentimes
over under in this one is forty, so not a
lot of excitement. Jaguars is still a seven point favorite,
despite the fact that you know I'm sitting there. This
is one of my preseason darlings. On the big sheet
we have in the studio predicted a run through the
(15:19):
AFC with the path of least resistance, and right now
they're not running along the pass. They're kind of meandering.
But etn giving you some big numbers and he'll be
a big factor here against the Titans CMC against Tampa.
He's mad because he wants to start a new scoring streak,
so let's get it started up in here. Yeah, there
(15:40):
you go. I just did that song Tony Pollard. He's
got to have a big game eventually, doesn't he? Or
is it Rico dow Dell that's gonna come in screw
you either way. I've got pollered that he gets fed
in this one a little bit by the Cowboys trying
to get that run game on track. It can't be
by Dax arm alone, because we know the weather's gonna change,
(16:02):
is gonna become a problem here in December. You need
to make sure you've got all components firing. I think
this is a game where they try to make sure
Pollard gets a little bit of love. And that run game.
We got Aaron Jones going against the Chargers. We've watched
the Chargers defense flail about, and even though the Green
Bay offense has been suspect most of the season and
the run game non existent, here's a spot, a couple
(16:25):
of dump off passes, a couple opportunities against an aggressive defense.
Right because you're gonna bring Mac, you're gonna bring Bosa,
how do you beat it? Screen over the top and
find yourself some running lanes. So I think that's where
we go. And then finally, I'm gonna go with the
Josh Jacobs bandwagon, the recommitment to the running game. They're
(16:47):
in Las Vegas, they're on the road against Miami, so
they're gonna need to get creative in the past game
to really make anything, you know, churn with DeVante Adams
and company. But Josh Jacobs, I like the fact that
they're at least committing to get him getting in the
football something you know that they alluded to more or
(17:08):
less with Devontae Adams. But I think it extends to
the run game of I'm not an idiot, I know
who my stars are. One of the great quotes in
recent memories.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
I feel like this is a strong week to buy
low on Tony Pollard. Yes, they had the plus matchup
with the Giants and he didn't do much, but you
figure that when they were blowing them out. That's why
you saw Rico doubt will get work. They will probably
blow out the Panthers again, But yeah, it feels like
(17:42):
there should be a more concerted effort to get Pollard
going in the second half of the season. And if
you're looking at the Cowboys fantasy playoff schedule is excellent
all around for all pieces. They got the Bills week fifteen,
the Dolphins Week sixteen, and the Lions week seventeen. Now
(18:03):
the Bills game is in Buffalo. It will be cold
weather games, so maybe not as strong as it can
be in terms of the matchup, but those are three
games where you figure they're going to be high scoring
on both sides of the ball. So I know, like
I'm targeting pieces of the Cowboys pass game and in trades.
(18:25):
That's a wonderful schedule for Dak Prescott in the fantasy playoffs.
It's something to note, But yeah, I think that if
you've got the opportunity to buy a little low on
Pollard and not lean on him for a couple weeks,
just on the off chance that if you're sitting very
nicely in a playoff spot right now, I think getting
(18:46):
pieces of the Cowboys offense is going to be a
major key to fantasy playoff success. So this feels like
a pretty strong week that you can get Tony Pollard
at a good price, get.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
In there and make those last minute offers before kickoff
on Sunday. As things roll towards the holiday holiday holiday,
you're gonna be too busy cooking turkey and stuffing and
all of that stuff, or maybe just sitting and drinking
and watching football. I'm not sure. Maybe a little bit
of both. But make sure you take care of that,
because you know we're talking trade deadlines and leagues coming
(19:17):
up here in short order as well. Wide receiver position, bursh,
I'm gonna start with a couple of Saint a couple
of Browns right off the top. We got a'man Ross
Saint Brown going against Chicago in a big opportunity at home.
We know what Jared Goff does at home. Sometimes he
takes that on the road as well. But Saint Brown
piling up his numbers. AJ Brown has been unstoppable. No
(19:41):
reason to believe that even though Casey's defenses is fantastic,
and you know, you and I and Dan, we've been
talking about it all year long that you know, as
much as we talk about the Kansas City offense or whatever. No, no, no,
They've they actually got some balance and definition in the
force these days. But AJ Brown will get his CD
LAMB going back to that matchup against Carolina Tyreek Hill,
(20:03):
going up against Las Vegas, potential for him to have
a monster day at home coming out of the bye.
We can't wait to see what new wrinkles they've added
to the motion running, you know, in that running Canadian
Football League head start that he's been getting. And then
number five on the other side of the matchup, I
am going to push in on DeVante Adams to have
a big player too. Why because they're going to need
(20:24):
to keep gunning to keep pace with this Miami offense. Again,
thirteen and a half is the spread as we sat
down to record this, So looking for an opportunity for
Aidan O'Connell to air it out and just like last week,
they get the ball into adams hands. While it may
not yield a lot of YAK on a play to
play basis, you need one or two streaks. We saw
(20:46):
one with a forty one yard reception. That's for fantasy owners.
That was a giant exhale, a giant sigh of relief.
I think he gets you some big numbers this week
in a matchup against the Dolphins.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
Yeah, we we can see that Adams's numbers are trending upward.
You haven't gotten the the big points in the last
couple of weeks, but you're coming off of thirteen targets
in a tough matchup with the Jets. Antonio Pierce said
in himself, He's like, I'm not an idiot. I'm gonna
throw Devonte Adams the ball. So, uh yeah, I think
(21:21):
you're you're going to see adams numbers finally get to
Davante Adams level. And looking at receivers as a whole,
I mean, these these names that you've got here are
big at the top, but it's it also, you know,
it is a great week for for good wide for
the top level of wide receivers, Like all of these
guys are are in very strong matchups, and then if
(21:41):
you you know, you keep going down that list for
guys like uh like Cooper Cup and Mike Evans and
and and Brandon Ayuk. There these are guys who are
in very strong matchups. You're going to get big games
from your big name receivers this week.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
All right, He's Ryan Burscheger on Mike Harmon. This is
how watch you. When we continue, we'll get into the
hot plays, cold Soares Ninja's for the week, and Dan
Byer stops by with his give me one reason. We'll
do that next year and I watch Flex all right,
I watch Flex continues Week eleven, your National Football League
at Ryan Berschinger on Twitter, find me over at Swollen Dome,
(22:18):
Dan Byers at Dan Byer on Fox. He'll be by
in a little bit with the give me one reasons.
Let's get into the hot plays real quick here, bursch
try to, you know, maybe a speed round of this
kind of stuff. We've gotten Brock Purdy in a big
opportunity here against Tampa, double digit favorite to everybody healthy,
(22:39):
everybody plays, and that return of that connection between he
and Brandon Ayuk is just something special to watch. I
already mentioned Christian McCaffrey. He was mad that he got
left out at the touchdown party last week, so he'll
want back in. Josh Allen, do I think that suddenly
Buffalo goes out and scores, you know, forty five points. No,
but remember they were still scoring nearly twenty seven a
(23:00):
game on the year and left some points on the board.
Certainly this last week causes Dorsey to get fired. Think
you got an opportunity here. Matchup not not incredible, right,
Obviously it's a game against the Jets, but let's face it,
when you're looking at Zach Wilson, you're looking at that
offense on the other side. Even though the Bills have
had attrition on the defensive side, they've given up some
(23:22):
big plays. You think they're gonna see a lot of
big plays against now. I don't think so. I think
the Bills go and smash them this week. In a
get right spot led by Allen and curious with him
on the ground, you know, because we have had the
shoulder injury talked about quite a bit, fundamentally changing what
he's doing in the In the game as well, you're
(23:44):
not seeing as many design runs, so you take a
little bit of that away, but maybe the two headed
monster of Cook and Murray is enough to soften up
things against the Football Jets. Javonte Williams going up against
Minnesota healthy active in the past, he saw the touchdown
as Russell Wilson got drilled and sold out for that one.
(24:04):
An opportunity. David Montgomery, Yeah, I'm gonna go with that
Detroit running back against Chicago. Doesn't mean that we still
don't love ourselves some Jamior Gibbs, but Montgomery in the
legitimate smash mouth situation for you here hot play. Devin
Singletary against Arizona. We've seen him leap to the front
(24:26):
and talked about it. With the over under of a
forty nine McLaurin going up against the Giants. If I'm
gonna have Sam Howell in my top five, someone's got
to catch the ball. So another opportunity there VERSU.
Speaker 3 (24:37):
Oh beautiful, And I think that there's and maybe we'll
see some more from this game in your ninja's. I
think that's a lot of both running backs of the
Commanders are are viable pass catching options, and so I
think there's gonna be great play there. Devin Singletary, You
I think Singletary is a great play this week. I
(24:57):
know people might get a little scared off by the
fact that Damian Pierce is coming back, but also Damian
Pierce has really not been good this year. It's been
rather unfortunate to watch. This is a great matchup for
the Cardinals, and they just gave Devin Singletary the ball
thirty times. They clearly see the great value in that
he adds to the offense right now, so I would
(25:19):
expect Pierce to really not be a factor in this one.
I think Singletary is definitely a full speed ahead.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
All right, Let's get to the cold source for this week.
As always, we like to go big game hunting. We'll
start at the quarterback position, and that even though I'm
on board the ETN bandwagon Trevor Lawrence, Calvin Ridley, especially
the Calvin Ridley side, it's just the we just need
to put him away until we see anything kind of
piece together for him. But for Trevor Lawrence, it's been
(25:46):
a bit of a slug these last couple of weeks,
and I don't necessarily see that getting fixed here against Tennessee.
So he's an approach with caution QB two for me
a guy that you'll start, but this one may be
a little more difficult than you. And that is justin
Herbert going up against Green Bay Keenan Allen on the
injury report. We keep an eye on that as we
get closer to kickoff. Shoulder injury for him. Would expect
(26:10):
him to go, but burssh, it's one of those situations
where it's been him Eckler and a lot of question
marks in that receiving course since Mike Williams went down.
So a little bit of a tough spot against the
Green Bay defense. That is a ben don't break kind
of situation and a lot of circumstance this year. Sakwa
Barkley going up against Washington. Yeah, they'll feed him the ball.
(26:32):
What's your expected output? Perhaps this is chalk at this point,
but he's still a big name, still ranked highly by
most not bindy, even though I've got him on a
couple of teams. Yay, wonder how those teams are doing.
Isaiah Pacheco going up against Philadelphia expecting some points in
this one. I'm expecting more the air game and maybe
(26:52):
a little McKinnon or the like to have an impact.
We'd be remiss if We didn't put up a wish
and a hope for Amari Cooper owners out there, because
going up against Pittsburgh with DTR be curious to see
the game plan of how to get the ball and
scheme the ball into Cooper's hands. But one that I
may stay a little bit further away from. You got
(27:15):
Godwin going up against San Francisco and that defense over
under and that one's only forty two versch and then
Jordan Addison. We talked about it with the potential return
with Justin Jefferson, So perhaps the frequency of targets goes down,
but the quality goes up a little bit if Jefferson
is there. If Jefferson is not, then he draws Patrick Sartan.
(27:38):
Either way, not ideal in this matchup for week eleven.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
Yeah, perfectly said I think that you have your between
the rock and heart plays this week with Jordan Addison.
You mentioned Saquan's name, and as I was talking about
with Tony Pollard being a potential by low, it's not
that you're selling a hot I on Saquon Barkley, but
I think you can maybe sell on the name of
(28:05):
Saquon Barkley and still get a decent return, because if
you're looking forward right now, first of all, Saquon still
has a bye week, so you're gonna miss him one
week prior to the postseason. And then in the fantasy
playoff schedules the Saints, Eagles and Rams, it's it's not
a good matchup for running backs. I think that this
(28:26):
is maybe the week where on the flip side you're
looking at because he's got Washington in New England coming up,
and also just simply the offense has just not been good. Yeah,
Saquon may be a guy that you might be able
to sell based on name value. Maybe. And here's a
(28:46):
wild one. Derrick Henry has the Texans twice and the
fantasy playoffs, you could do a straight swap there of
Saquon for Derrick Henry. And it is named for name,
but there's gonna be a lot of value with Derek
Henry in the fantasy postseason. So yeah, Saquan is definitely
a guy who you should be rather wary of for
(29:08):
the rest of this season in fantasy.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
There you go, fantasy fear factor along the way. All right,
let's get into the ninj just real quick. The return
of Justin Fields against Detroit offense has been playing, you know,
some better semblance of football, the run game more active,
and you've seen Darnell Mooney and Cole Comet truly come
out of hibernation Tyler Scott, you know, gives them a
(29:32):
little bit of a speed weapon as well. DJ Moore
should be able to find some some magic here with
fields returning against Detroit, Kyler Murray against Houston. Talked about
it before, perhaps a little bit of Hollywood Brown who'd
been solid. But maybe this is a breakthrough game. Maybe
this gets into a little bit of a shootout. I'll
(29:55):
be gonna keep saying it until I speak it into existence,
ty Chandler, of your minister so to Vikings, still waiting
for him to really take on a lion's share of
the carries, but clearly with Madison they've been stuck in mud.
And Josh Dobbs has been your best runner since his acquisition.
So maybe Chandler gets a little bit of a run.
(30:17):
You mentioned Brian Robinson, you know, Gibson, two guys that
should get some fantasy consideration in the matchup against the Giants.
And then a couple of wide receivers, I know one
you're excited about And that's Brandon Cooks going up against
Carolina finally, finally the breakthrough. And then Romeo Dobbs going
up against the Chargers, a guy who's quietly put up
(30:39):
some pretty good numbers. I know, we dismissed the Green
Bay offense, disappointed in Jones and Dylan for the most part,
waiting on Jordan Love and hot take theater related to
how good or bad he is. But Dobb's putting up
some solid numbers.
Speaker 3 (30:52):
Yeah, Dobbs has definitely been Jordan Love's most reliable end
zone weapon. We see his touchdown numbers are great and
that that has buoyed his his fantasy numbers. But I mean,
you know you'll want touchdowns, so uh. And and Christian
Watson has has just not been doing rather well. He's
he's not been getting that same level of repertoire that
(31:17):
that uh, that level of camaraderie that that Romeo dobs
And and Jordan Love have.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
And it's the Chargers secondary, yes, let's call it what
it is. Even healthy with Bosa and mac and and
with Derwin James playing that defense has still been atrocious.
Speaker 3 (31:36):
Right, Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
When I was there the river of a Modello helped
me float through it though not a sponsor of course.
Speaker 3 (31:47):
And yeah, hopefully you know, Alexander Madison has not been
practicing this week, and even if he is a full go,
it does seem like they're ready to move on to
ty Chandler fully in that backfield, just based on the
way he was used last week. It's a great matchup
for running backs against the Broncos. So if ty, if
Alexander Madison is completely out, ty Chandler is an easy
(32:12):
running back to this week.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
There you go at Ryan Burschagara on Twitters where you
find and find me over at Swollen Dome. There's our
run through for week eleven coming up next. Dan Byer
with his give Me One Reason.
Speaker 4 (32:24):
Welcome back it is I want your flex. Yeah, I'm
Dan Bayer. I'm here for this last segment. Ryan Burschinger
is here as well. We just have all crazy schedules,
you know. Mike's at night with the Jason Smith Show
with Mike Armen at Fox Sports Radio. You hear me
usually during the daytime with Doug Gottlieb here on Fox
Sports Radio and Bursh's here in the morning. So we
try to piece everything together and getting everything together. But
(32:45):
when we can all get together, it's awesome. Right now,
you got Bursch and I. So I'm going to wrap
up this podcast with my ability to give you one
reason to start in the bench a guy. And again
I apologize for last week in not realizing that someone
to throw a brick on a windshield and then and
then we're out of the game because of an injury
that is not my fault. We are going to try
(33:06):
to move on and forget it. I'm going to give
you one reason to start a guy. And it's going
to be a roundabout reason, but I'm going to give
you a reason to start. Panthers wide receiver Adam Thelen.
I know you may not be high on the Panthers
this week against the Cowboys, but here's the deal. It
is a trap game for Dallas. Dallas is riding high
right now, and you have a short week with the
Commanders coming into town on Thanksgiving. It is the most
(33:30):
watched regular season game year in and year out on
the NFL schedule, and that rivalry goes back years and
years and years. And now you come off of a
demolishing of the Giants, you have the Commanders ahead, and
you have this road game, this pesky road game in
Charlotte against the Panthers. Expect Carolina to put up a
(33:51):
fight against Dallas. So Adam Thlen gets some against the Cowboys.
Speaker 3 (33:55):
I like it in full PPR. Theling has been phenomenal
this season. Every time they try to throw the ball,
it is in Thelen's direction. And so yeah, I think
that the Cowboys could definitely be very easily overlooking this game.
They'll probably still win rather easily, but in the sense
of it's gonna the Panthers are gonna put up more
(34:16):
of a fight than you would think, despite going up
against that Dallas defense there. This is a perfect situation
for a team to simply just overlook a game entirely.
So yeah, the Panthers should be able to move the
ball a little better. They're coming off some extra rest
as well, and and thelan has been their most consistent
(34:37):
and best offensive contributor, So I like the call.
Speaker 4 (34:40):
Has not gotten into the end zone the last three weeks,
but even last week in a six catch forty two
yard affair against the Bears, still had a bunch of targets.
I believe eleven targets in that game. So the target
ten targets was the number. That's so play Adam Thelen
the player to avoid and this is started to get
some rumblings. I'm gonna give Younneth Walker the third for
(35:01):
the Seahawks against the Rams. And this isn't me being
Seahawks fan and being glass half empty. I will tell
you this. This has been talked about on Seahawks blogs.
Zach Charbonet's usage continues to go up and up, and
I just get the sense that while Kenneth Walker, when
he's in the game, he gets the football like there's
(35:21):
no doubt about that. They do really like Zach Sharbonna.
It's while they drafted him in the second round as well,
a year after they took Kenneth Walker the third. There's
always injury questions. I just would I would just be
careful because of the emergence of Zach Sharbonay. I don't
think they're facing out Kenneth Walker. It's just the opportunities
for him to get his are limited because of the
(35:42):
increased snap counts by Charbonay.
Speaker 3 (35:44):
I yeah, I fully agree. I've been noticing this as well,
and it has been pretty People in the fantasy community
have been keeping their eyes on what's been going on here,
because eventually Zach Sharbonay is going to out of nowhere
gonna have a game where he goes for like twenty
and a hundred and a touchdown. Like it's going to
happen at some point, and when it does happen, people
(36:05):
should not be surprised, because, yeah, as you're saying, the
snap count for Walker has been slightly dwindling on a
week by week basis, while Sharbonay's has been increasing, and
it is, well, it's a smart strategy. They got a
lot of mileage on Walker in the first half of
the season. If they're able to ease Sharbonay into the
offense for the second half of the season, they're gonna
(36:26):
have two very effective running backs and you won't have
to fully rely on one. And of course, as you know, Dan,
this is a team that's that's faced a lot of
injuries with running backs in the past yeap so and
Walker himself has had his own injury struggles. So I
think easing in Sharbonay in this manner is going to
steadily cause Walker's numbers to dwindle. He's still going to
(36:49):
be startable, but yeah, it's it's it's going to get
to a point where he's going to be in a
full fledged time share, and that could happen really at
any given moment.
Speaker 4 (36:57):
At this point, Walker will give us sixty yards, but
last week he was saved by the touchdown reception. That
you're not going to get a sixty yard touchdown reception
every single week, and that is probably not going to
happen against the Rams. So you can expect maybe sixty
yards from Kenneth Walker, but outside of that, I don't
see a lot of huge upside with the Seahawks running back.
All right, there it is I give you one reason
(37:19):
to starting to bench a guy. He got Harmon's rankings,
he got his hot plays of cold Stores and Ninja's
as well. So that'll do it. For this week's episodes
of I Want Your Flex. Thanksgiving Week, we provide a
different schedule because of the three games and because of
our duties, it'll be a short week, so there will
just be a couple of episodes and that will do it.
We hope that it will hold you over for week twelve. Plus.
(37:41):
Ryan Berschinger has got to go to the Philippines for
two weeks after that, so he's going to be gone
for a while, but if you do have questions, you
can always tweet at Ryan Berschinger at Swollen Domeser, and
you can get Mike and find me at Dan Byer
on Fox Enjoy week eleven. We'll talk to you next
week here and I want your flex
