Speaker 1 (01:46):
No, I'm not I'm not a radio star. I just
filled in and trust me, after that performance, I probably
won't be invited back. So that's just it. We just
got on your own all we done? Are we?

Speaker 3 (02:02):
You just got found on your own show?

Speaker 1 (02:04):

Speaker 3 (02:05):
How does that work?

Speaker 4 (02:05):
Man?

Speaker 3 (02:06):
How does the Prince of darkness get fired on their
own show?

Speaker 1 (02:08):
No, it's quite insulting to be autumble. By the way,
I'm looking at Brady Quinn on the TV right now.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
I'm looking at them too.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
They're dealing with some wins there. They got see their microphones.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Hey man, how are we not sitting up there on
the show? And why aren't we on the big noon

Speaker 1 (02:26):
I mean, well, you've been on there, you guys multiple times.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
But you guys are big time like studio like TV hosts,
like like superstars man like yours is uh, what's.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
The name of your show called?

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Again? That's the challenge, the challenge, that's right, that's right,
the challenge which you can catch. You could catch Jonas
on that Tomorrow night, by the way, on the challenge
locally NBC.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Yeah, came back, I meanly after Sunday Night football.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
How did you guys pull off landing such big TV deals?
And I only get to do radio with you guys
during the week?

Speaker 1 (02:57):
How does that work? These are just listen. If if
the fines were reversed, you'd be up to like one
hundred dollars so far in your appearance, because first of all,
you you are a TV star, college Football Hall of Famer.
You got the up on Game Network, you even got
up on Game Swag You've got T shirts, you got

(03:18):
a merchandise line, you got stick City, you got it
all working. And I'm just out here scraping. All right,
I'm just scraped. That's dollars. Damn dollars. Who you talking to?
You ain't got a job talking to you? Ass you

(03:38):
may not be ten dollars? Hey, are you gonna get
banged up?

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Later?

Speaker 3 (03:42):
Later?

Speaker 1 (03:43):
I'm about I'm about to have the crew.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
I'm about to have the Tricia's heat me up, play
the leftovers.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
And I'm going in right now.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
I'm fighting. I'm going in if the gout comes what,
I don't care what the repercussions or the set or
consequences of today are going to be, but this is
going to be the one I hit the hardest.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
And now, what is the difference between an at home
LeVar Island and when you get on the road.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Well, the at home LaVar Island may be a tad
bit more LeVar and less island, and and and so
it uh, yeah, it takes you up real real high,
like like a skycoaster, but once you pull that ripcord,
it takes you down really really fast. Yeah, and so

(04:32):
I'll be like somewhere sunking into like my couch. I
don't know which part of the couch that I will
be sunking into, but nonetheless it will end up happening.
Jonas Knox, well you earned it, Thank you, man.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
I deserve it.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
I couldn't wait to tell you Happy Holidays, Happy Turkey Day.
I hope you enjoyed it and all that stuff. So
I was like, man, I was like bo bo Chris like,
I gotta go on with Jonas. I gotta go on
with Jonas. Can you please ask them if I'm allowed
to come on to hit show and like, you know,
chop it up with him?

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Allowed? You know, yes, right, yeah, that's that. Yeah, because
this is my this is my network. Yeah, are you
allowed to come on? Listen. We're just we're trying to
keep up with Brady. He's sitting there doing TV and
so he's you and I are. Yeah, you and I
are sitting there. But and we say it all the time.
You talk about having radio and TV covered. Two pros
and a cup of Joe. We have a four hour

(05:24):
block on Saturdays while Brady Quinn's on television.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
I mean, that's pretty fly. It is when you really
think about it. We're we're brought. We're hitting you on
on every possible you know channel to get hit by
on Saturday, so we get you six days a week.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
People. By the way, can you tell people the story?
So there's a if you listen to the show during
the week. One of one of the jokes that we
always reference is from a movie called The Players Club
where Bernie Mack is hanging outside with his security guard
who's probably five to two, and Bernie the cops are
talking smack to Bertie Mac. Security guard's got a neck

(06:03):
braice on. For some reason. We still don't know how
he had a neck braise on, Yes we.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Do, because they put it hit in the in the car.
It does eazl too restless, so they put his head
in the car. Charlie Murphy rest his so they rolled
the window up on his ass.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
So one of the great lines from the movie is
where Bertie mag says, who do you think you're talking to?
And he goes talking to yo ass. So what happened
when you were at an autograph signing a couple of
weeks ago, some little kids.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
A little kid, it was a little girl or a
little boy, was a little boy. It might have been
a little boy. And he walked up. He gave me
and I looked at I was like, hey, how you doing.
He's like, I'm talking to yo ass. I looked at
his parents. I'm like, ohh, he's like, he listens to
your show every day. I said, we ruined him. They

(06:53):
both started laughing. Imagine you're you're an eight nine year
old kid. You get away with said, I'm talking.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
To your ass. Hey, hey, hey, Bobby, can you go
clean your room?

Speaker 3 (07:05):
I ain't cleaning up nothing? What you man, You ain't
cleaning up nothing?

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Who you talking to?

Speaker 3 (07:09):
I'm talking to your ass? Well, LaVarne Jonas said all
the time. You can't get in trouble because lavarn Jonas
said all the time, And that's what you're listening to.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Well, I mean you know hopefully that that is impressionable
with our Deshaun Watson.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
Oh no, man, I'm the towel boy. Wait, hold on,
slow down, slow down. Say that's now you need more
family guidance. Man, you don't don't need to listen to us.
So I'm out of here. Man, I'm gone. I love you, bro.
I just I just want to I just wanted to
be on on air with like a big radio TV star.

(07:46):
That that just he's making his assent. He did cow
Herd show. I mean, it's just it's just crazy, man.
I just wanted to get on here with you so
I could like try to grow my followers at King
of the Mammals on Instagram. By the way, I mean,
I just you know, get the big crowd. That's all.
Thank you everyone.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
By the way, I haven't posted a picture on Instagram
since twenty eighteens, So what do I know. I steer
clear from all that. I don't want that smoke. He
tell the family said, HI have LeVar Island for me, and.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
I'm going to I'm starting right now.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Hell yeah, I'm.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Out of here talking to your ass. Well, I'm going
to do this. I'm really going to do this.

Speaker 1 (08:28):

Speaker 1 (10:22):
All right, tis the season. By the way, a profet
is that is this back permanently for the next month
or so?

Speaker 5 (10:31):
Yep, you know, bi corporate like corporate decision. It is
all Christmas music now, my man, oh.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Man bangers like who doesn't who doesn't like? You know,
I understand people go, oh, well, you know Christmas, Like
I have a buddy who likes Christmas music in July.
It's kind of a it's kind of weird. Yeah, it's weird,
especially when you're at like a touch a bar, like
and they've got touch tunes and and you're you know,
Santa got run over by a reindeer.

Speaker 5 (10:57):
You know, someone did make a great point the other
day I saw on X or Twitter or whatever we're
calling it that you know, if we want to stop
the early Christmas music Thanksgiving, like, make some bangers. There's
no good songs about Thanksgiving out there. You get all
this Christmas stuff.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Yeah, I mean, you know, some people are you know,
it's more of a sentimental holiday at this point, you know, I.

Speaker 5 (11:18):
Mean place mileage is going to vary on how much
you talk to your family.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
I'm sure.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
So it is Jonas Knox here on Fox Sports Radio.
So we got Christmas music, We've got football, We've got gambling.
It's all yours. It is a cornucopia of sports conversation
and Shenanigan's here for the next couple of hours here
from the tire raq dot com studios. By the way,
coming up in a little over ten minutes from now,

(11:43):
tis the season to be giving. We are going to
give an award out. We're going to give an award
out here. It is an NFL award. It's our TGFG
Game of the Week, So stick around for that. That's
going to be here again coming up a little over
ten minutes from now. So quick update on the game
between Michigan and Ohio State. Michigan just drilled a fifty
yard field goal eleven minutes and change left to go

(12:05):
in the third quarter. The Wolverines of a seventeen to
ten lead over Ohio State. They are about to kick
off there on Fox. And this is exactly why this game,
the game is the best rivalry in sports, and especially
this year, like there's a there's something about it, the

(12:26):
gravity of this game because there's a lot of reputations
on the line. All right, So if you just let's
just talk about the tradition. Everybody knows that you can
argue and go back and forth greatest rivalries in sports.
Some people want to go Yankees, Red Sox. Some people
want to go you know, Niners, Cowboys from back in
the day, Duke North Carolina, Celtics, Lakers. But you can

(12:47):
go up and down the list. And if I left
one out and you're upset because I didn't bring up
your team, sorry, what do you want? Bears Packers not
much of a rivalry. The Bears have been their doormat
for about a decade plus. Sorry, just is what it is.
But the point of this is when you're watching Michigan
Ohio State, it's once a year, there's there's this build

(13:09):
up towards it. The proximity of the schools, you know,
the Michigan versus Ohio aspect of it. You've got recruits
who could go to Michigan but decide on Ohio State
and vice versa. You've got all the you know, even
if you were to ask somebody, pull somebody aside in
Columbus and say, hey, would you rather win the national

(13:33):
championship but lose to Michigan or loose or beat Michigan
but not win the national championship? That you got to
think long and hard about it. Like I remember asking
Albert Breer, that Albert Breers in Ohio State alum, and
he really was conflicted. And if you were to ask
many Ohio State fans or Michigan fans that same question,
that hypothetical, they would say, Man, I'd rather beat the

(13:54):
team because I don't have to deal with those a
holes for another year. And what makes this one even
bigger is all the drama surrounding it. And it's the
drama with the sign stealing stuff. It's the the accusations,
you know, some of the rumors that were out there,
and we're going to look back on this whole signed
stealing stuff. There's probably gonna be a Netflix documentary or

(14:16):
something like that. They'll do a thirty for thirty or something,
and they're going to do a full breakdown it. We're
gonna look at it like it's to Flategate or some
of these other sports controversies that are out there, and
years later we're gonna find out whether or not Ohio
State was one of the whistleblowers. One of the rumors
out there was it Ryan Day had a family who

(14:36):
worked for the FBI or was like a private investigator
or something like that, something along those lines, and that
they were the ones that started looking into it and
Ohio State was given. So all of that is going
to be baked into what this game is this year,
and how this game turns out is going to determine

(14:57):
how we feel about a lot of things that are
going on between Michigan and Ohio State right now, because
let's just call it what it is. Jim Harbaugh's gone
after this year, Like Jim Harbaugh's coaching his final games
at Michigan, He's going to go to the NFL. He's
going to get hired. There's going to be many teams

(15:18):
that won him. Jay Glazer had the report a couple
of days ago that said, listen, even though there's all
these allegations against Jim Harbaugh that he cut corners and
stole signs and did this, and he was he knew
what was going on. It wasn't this rogue, you know,
assistant coach like Connor Stallion's all that stuff, say whatever
you want. Like NFL teams look at that and go,
oh yeah, cool, no question, Yeah, we'll hire him. If

(15:43):
we need a head coach, we'll hire him. You don't
know why he's a good head coach. It's like, why
did the Browns give to Shaun Watson the money they
gave him because he had shown signs that he was
a good quarterback. Now since he's gotten there, you know,
we'll hit or miss, But he's a good quarterback and
he got paid. He just also happens to be a

(16:05):
little bit of a weirdo with a background, and so
the Cleveland Browns are like, yeah, but he can play,
so we'll pay him. The NFL looks at Jim Harvon
goes all right, yeah, you know he may have you know,
stole some signs, might have been stealing some signs. Okay,
he's a good coach. He turned around the Michigan program,
he turned around San Diego, Stanford the Niners. Everywhere he goes,

(16:30):
it works, So he's gonna get hired. So when it
comes to Jim Harbaugh and his reputation and how we
feel about him based on all the scandal and all
this stuff leading into this game, Jim Harbaugh is going
to be in the NFL next year. We know that.
Here's what else we know. Ryan Day can't lose this game.

(16:51):
He can't. Like you, you haven't beaten Michigan in almost
fifteen hundred days. It was November of twenty nineteen, Like,
it's been a long ass time, and maybe it was
a little less than fifteen hundred whatever, who cares. Point is,

(17:13):
it's been a long time since you've beaten Michigan. And
so if you're Ryan Day and you know that one
of your go tos, that that would be your fall
fallback plan on this would be, Hey, yeah, I may
have lost multiple years in a row and we didn't
play them during COVID, but they were stealing signs. Okay,

(17:34):
Well I'm going to assume that they're not stealing signs
at this game. For this game, I'm gonna assume that
I'm gonna assume now that we've exposed everything they're playing
by the rules here, I'm gonna assume that. So if
you blew the whistle on Michigan stealing signs and that
was one of the go to excuses for well, of

(17:55):
course they can now beat us because they're stealing signs.
And you go out and you lose again for a
third straight year and still haven't beaten him since twenty nineteen.
We got a problem and was talking about this on
Fox Sports Radio yesterday. Look, John Cooper won one hundred

(18:16):
and eleven games at Ohio State. The problem was he
had a bad record against Michigan. That's all he's remembered for.
This guy won one hundred and eleven games with the program.
But because he had a bad record against Michigan, that's
the knock. So when you factor all the background, all
the stuff, the allegations, the suspension for Harbaugh, all of

(18:40):
the commentary, everything, and it all comes down to this game.
That's why I think this is the game in the
rivalry of the game, meaning this is the most important
one we've seen in a long ass time, and with
all the backstory, maybe ever, because we're talking Big Ten

(19:01):
championship on the line, we're talking potential college football playoff
spot on the line. We're talking the end of the
Jim Harbaugh era, the last time Jim Harbaugh will be
coach for Michigan against Ohio State in this rivalry, and
he can't even be there because of the allegations that
may have been brought against him by Ohio State for

(19:23):
stealing signs, and Ryan Day's reputation and how we feel
about him as a coach and what he's done at
Ohio State. This is a monster matchup and it's completely
lived up to it. If you've watched any of this game,
you've had questionable calls, You've had questionable spots. JJ McCarthy

(19:46):
is throwing dimes. You had a touchdown that was very
close to not being a touchdown for Michigan because the
ball appeared to be been stripped out as the guy
was crossing the goal line. But no, it looks like
he did scored. Like all of that is playing into it.
Missed field goals, questionable clock management, good defense at times,

(20:09):
and when we're saying that Trayvon Henderson just scored for
Ohio State extra point pending with five and a half
minutes left to go in the game, or in left
to go in the third quarter rather and it's now
seventeen seventeen. Like everything that led up to this game,
all the hype, all the hyperbole, all the trash talk,

(20:29):
all the jokes, the accusations, all of that stuff, and
here we are. We find ourselves in a place where
Ohio State's on the road in ann Arbor, and they
have now tied the game with five and a half
minutes left to go in the third quarter. It is
completely lived up to the hype so far, and it'll
be fun to see where this game goes the rest
of the way. Jonas Knox here on Fox Sports Radio.

(20:50):
Brought to you by Progressive Insurance. Progressive makes bundling easy

are going to hand out an award here because tis
the season. You know, we're not just gonna take We're
gonna give a little bit here, all right. So we're

(21:10):
gonna give out an award coming up here in just
a couple of moments from now. But for all the
latest from around the world, of sports. We are going
to give you sports talk radio greatness. Oh stop, it's
this man's got a tennis racket in one hand and
a mic in the other.

Speaker 4 (21:24):
He's the one and only Brian talking about a guy
named mic or hey a microphone? Oh my, okay, just
so people know, a mic is yeah, surety for microphone
and yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
Hey hey hey, so yeah, we do have this game.

Speaker 6 (21:36):
Going on, Jonas.

Speaker 4 (21:37):
And I feel like, as this game has gone on,
you've been very pro Michigan, and all of a sudden,
here comes Ohio State. I hope that take of yours
holds up. But the way Ohio State's playing right now,
I don't know. It's seventeen seventeen number two High States
scoring Finley.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
You new here. You know how this works. If I
get it wrong, I'll just go back and delete it
from the podcast.

Speaker 6 (21:56):
What are you talking about?

Speaker 4 (21:58):
Yeah, but the people that he at live, Jonas, they
are going to be privy to knowing what the truth is.

Speaker 6 (22:04):
And and you only had the truth for so much.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
And if they they tell me that I said something
that turned out to be false later on, I'll just
say I think that you were drinking.

Speaker 6 (22:12):
Well, sure, that's.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
Always a go too. It's a weekend. You know, we're
hanging it's football holiday weekend. Yeah, you just heard LeVar Arrington.
He's like, you know, three long neck LeVar islands deep
right now.

Speaker 4 (22:24):
I felt like you guys were doing that that segment together,
both kind of giving each other shoulder massages at the time.

Speaker 6 (22:31):
Because of just the.

Speaker 4 (22:32):
Amount of praise that you were throwing one at another
back and forth. It was like just shoulder massages after
shoulder massages.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
By the way, how difficult do you think Deshaun Watson
has made it for players in the NFL, Like when
they tell their wives like, God, I'm gonna go get
a massage.

Speaker 6 (22:48):
Oh are you?

Speaker 1 (22:50):
It's like okay.

Speaker 6 (22:51):
Well, also think thanks to Sean well they also.

Speaker 4 (22:53):
Think about all the guys who want to tell ownership
of teams that hey, I want fully guaranteed contracts, and
he's Deshaun is runded for everybody.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
Yeah, don't do just point to that and say, well, oh,
why don't we give you a guaranteed contract? Yeah? That
guy right there, which one the weirdo over there? That
one right there? Yeah, that's exactly why.

Speaker 6 (23:12):
Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I mean we all can't beat Jonas.

Speaker 4 (23:15):
I know you have a guaranteed contract, right, yeah, with
all of your different sporting.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
Medium no how you know sports radio works family. Come on.
Of course, that's why they built a whole whole Foods
next to the studio, you know, come on. So, yeah,
we do have that game that's going on that the
Jonas might have to eat his words on because it's
number two House State seventeen, number three Michigan seventeen five
and a half minutes to go in the third quarter.
At the end of the third quarter in Louisville, number ten,

(23:42):
Louisville has a twenty four to twenty one edge against
Mark Stoops and Kentucky sore watching and keeping tabs on
that game and then also out of the sec and
baton rouge number fourteen LSU playing from behind their star
quarterback Jaden Daniels does have a touchdown and has running
for over one hundred and ten yards now officially in
this game to be exact, and it's Texas Atum twenty

(24:05):
four number fourteen LSU twenty one just starting the fourth quarter.

Speaker 6 (24:08):
There no Jimbo Fisher.

Speaker 4 (24:09):
You talk about guaranteed money and Jimbo Fisher no longer
there and he's gonna get seventy million dollars after the
firing on the buyout of that contract. Michigan State tabbing
Jonathan Smith as its next football coach, So apparently it's
not going to be Urban Meyer at Colorado. Quarterback should
or Sanders will not played against Utah.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
He co man.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
No comment there, and I think some of us know
where that came from. I can't believe I just said
that on the Airgelfish.

Speaker 1 (24:43):
Great, what did I say?

Speaker 6 (24:46):
I'm gonna get a call from him, Jeez.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
Call from who?

Speaker 4 (24:51):
Who?

Speaker 1 (24:51):
Are you gonna get a call around there?

Speaker 7 (24:53):
Family?

Speaker 4 (24:54):
I don't know if I want to name names, but
I'm sure he'll dial meet your.

Speaker 8 (24:57):
Phone on silent right.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
No, I just want to say this on the record.
I just want to be I didn't want to say
this on the record. Sure, Bernie, I didn't do that, Okay.
I just want to say that on the record, all right.
I have no part that.

Speaker 4 (25:14):
Is.

Speaker 3 (25:15):
Jeez.

Speaker 4 (25:16):
Well, we'll see what happens after I mentioned that.

Speaker 6 (25:20):
Anyway, I'll leave you with this. Jonas a couple things
out of the.

Speaker 4 (25:23):
NFL, Bengals parking quarterback Joe Burrow on the entrant reserve
Chiefs ruling out Kadarius Tony for Sunday's game with an
ankle hip injury, and MRI says that Dolphins pass rusher
Jalen Phillips towards acl excuse me, his achilles. So either way,
you're right it. He'll be on the shelf for the
rest of the year. With the season ending injury. Vikings
are listing wide receiver Justin Jefferson as questionable for that

(25:46):
Monday night game against the Bears.

Speaker 6 (25:48):
And I'll leave you with this, Jonas.

Speaker 4 (25:49):
I mentioned this, I guess a couple of weeks ago
here on a UCLA show, but Colorado quarterback Shador Sanders
will not play today against Utah.

Speaker 6 (25:58):
That game is coming up in about a half an hour.

Speaker 4 (26:00):
He's been taking punishment all year, his body perpetually punished
by a near nonexistent offensive line, so he's not going
to be able to go. Of course, that's Dion Sanders' son.
And we do know that the Jonas played some tackle
football back in the day. And I heard that when
you were playing offensive line and you were on the

(26:20):
other side and you were going up against you, that
it was like going through a saloon door.

Speaker 6 (26:25):
That was the way that you were blocking.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
Thank you. Yeah, all these compliments. Man, I'm blushing. I mean,
I don't know what to do with myself. Geez, I
have I've never felt this great about my my athletic career.
Offensive lineman, you got to be kidding me, like I
was tiny, Finily, Well, they called you a saloon door.

Speaker 6 (26:43):
They just went right by you.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
Saloon door. That is that is correct. Maybe you want to,
you know, walk out of that saloon door before you
get a visit from somebody after some of these comments
that you've made.

Speaker 6 (26:52):
You know, you might have to change my number.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
Oh man, Hey, listen, I didn't do it. I'm just
saying right now, I want to be clear on this.
I'm not catching astray because of Fendly's reckless accusations and
behavior and comments on this show. I'm not catching astray
for that.

Speaker 6 (27:11):
It's a lot. It's all I love Jonas.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
It is Jonas Knox here on Fox Sports Radio again.

Just search Fox Sports Radio wherever you get your podcasts,

(27:36):
and you'll see the show posted right after we get
off the air. I will also tweet out a link
to that podcast as well after we get off the
air as well too. So coming up, we'll call it
about a little over ten minutes from now from the
ti raq dot com studios, we are going to have
a weekly tradition. It's another edition of do You Care
Always upbeat positive sports Conversation Again. That'll be yours coming

(27:58):
up here ten minutes from now on FSR Quick Update
Michigan with a first down throw from JJ McCarthy, who's
throwing the ball really, really well. The touchdown throw, which
was a little bit questionable because there was some conversation
as to whether or not the ball was stripped before
it crossed the goal line there, the touchdown throw was

(28:18):
one of the best throws you'll ever see, one of
the best throws you'll ever see. Rather people marveling at
the armtown and JJ McCarthy, and this is a guy
who a lot of people feel like is going to
be the third quarterback taken all right, if we go
Caleb Williams, Drake May, JJ McCarthy. There are a lot
of people feel like he's going to be the third
quarterback taken and probably a top ten pick depending on

(28:41):
how the draft shakes out this upcoming April. So we
will again keep you posting on that game throughout the
course of the show. But right now it is time
to hand down an award here on the show. Tis
the season forgiving, so it's time for us to give
out our t g FG game of the Week in
the NFL, and it goes.

Speaker 7 (28:59):
To Panthers at Titans. Woof, what an awful game? My lord?

Speaker 1 (29:12):
Now do you think when like the NFL schedule makers
were looking at this going all right, look, I mean
when we're piecing this together, what have we got here?
What do we got? Let's see, we got Bryce Young,
we got Will Levis. I mean, this could be a
good game. You know, why don't we throw it on
during a holiday weekend show some of the bright young
stars of the league in the NFL? And instead they're

(29:32):
getting this an awful game. It is Panthers Titans one
in nine, verse three and seven. Something's got to give
at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. By the way, this is
a Fox broadcast at one pm Eastern time. I'm sure
they're thrilled with that assignment. And you've got Tennessee, who
is over a field goal favorite in most books. Where

(29:54):
you look at this game, and I gotta be honest
with you, Tennessee's in a full They're in a rebuild
without acknowledging it to rebuild. Like the idea that Mike
Rabel's name is even is even being discussed as a
potential casualty at the end of the season is laughable.
Mike Rabel's a great head coach. The guy would be
out of work about fourteen seconds if he got fired.

(30:15):
There's a reason why, as we laid out a couple
of weeks ago here on the show, that the New
England Patriots have a wish list and if they were
going to hire a head coach and Mike Rabel was available,
Mike Rabel would be the guy. If Belichick decides to leave,
or they decide to part ways with Bill Belichick. But
you look at this game, Frank Reich, the Carolina Panthers
are a mess. And it's not just a mess from

(30:36):
an offensive standpoint, as he continues to figure out whether
or not he wants to be play caller or not.
And I like Frank Reich a lot. There's no pieces
to surround Bryce Young. You know what Carolina could really use,
like somebody like a DJ Moore or Christian McCaffrey. Sure
seems like one of those two guys could have helped
Bryce Young in his development, but instead ones in San

(30:58):
Francisco starring on Bananksgiving, and the others in Chicago. And
he's been a real fine for the Chicago Bears, even
though they're a bad football team who will probably drafting
a quarterback coming up in April as well too. So
you look at this and you go nothing to surround
Bryce Young. You've got an impatient owner and David Tepper
who's probably going to fire another head coach. The guys
owned the team five years and he's had five coaches

(31:21):
intern and head coaches like Frank Reich might be the
fifth head, fifth coaching change for the Carolina Panthers in
as many years as David Tepper has taken over the team.
So just by default record alone, backstory rumblings, rumors reports
about front office unrest coaches maybe being on the hot seat,

(31:42):
young quarterbacks struggling because there's nothing around him, just by
default alone. Ore TGFG Game of the Week, which stands
for thank God for Gambling. Game of the Week is
the Panthers at the Titans. That's in Nashville one Eastern
time on Fox. Because let's be honest, if it wasn't
for gambling, nobody's watching this game. Jonas Knox here Fox

(32:04):
Sports Radio again. Get me on Twitter at the Jonas
Knox at the Jonas Knox on Twitter, and you can
hang out with us as always on the iHeartRadio app.
Coming up next here. It is a Saturday tradition. It's
another edition of do You Care It? It's yours here
on FSR. Jonas Knox, Fox Sports Radio. Coming up top
of next hour. We will call it a little over

(32:26):
a little over twelve minutes from now here from the
tire rack dot Com Studios. Something has happened in the
NFL and we have fallen for it yet again. We
have taken the bait. We have fallen for it yet again.
I'll explain what that is. Coming up here again a
little over twelve minutes from now here on FSR. Quick
update from Ann arbor a Blake Korum touchdown run for

(32:48):
the Wolverines gives Michigan a twenty four to seventeen lead
over Ohio State a little less than two minutes left
to go in the third quarter. This coming one play
after All Big Ten First Team All Big Ten guard
Zach Zinter went down with what looked to be a
pretty nasty leg injury. They had to air cast it.

(33:08):
He was carted off the field crying. He's a senior,
So a big loss for the Wolverines there, and how
does Blake Horn and Michigan do him well? And how
do they celebrate their senior who probably just played his
final game against Ohio State. There a big touchdown run
and Michigan's got a lead with again under two minutes

(33:30):
left to go there at the Big House. So we
will keep you posted on that and keep you updated
on that throughout the course of that games. We are
monitoring it while it's happening. But right now here, it
is time for us to do a little something we
do every single Saturday, and it's called this.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
There are so many stories in the world of sports,
and most of them are a complete waste of time.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
Dmzer reports.

Speaker 2 (33:51):
Now let's get Kinky, here's some of the big stories
from the last week. But Jonas, the real question is
do you care?

Speaker 1 (34:00):
We turn it over to our executive producer, Bo Bentzon
to find out what the hell people have been talking about.

Speaker 7 (34:04):
Bo.

Speaker 8 (34:04):
Yeah, I just really quickly want to distance myself from
Brian Finley. I don't know him. I've ever met him
in my life. I don't even Yeah, I've never never interacted.
I've never heard that before.

Speaker 1 (34:17):
Listened. I'm not getting here. I'll tell you that I
am not getting frattled. So U family, you are all
alone on yeah, Yeah, it's uh, keep me away.

Speaker 4 (34:30):
We're all on the same show, so we all get kiss.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
Sorry, Buddy, I got a family to think about. Yeah,
I'm not dealing with this.

Speaker 8 (34:39):
Yeah. So, uh, Michigan State has officially hired Jonathan Smith
out of Oregon State to be their new head coach.
I believe the twenty sixth in school history. Jonas, do
you care at all?

Speaker 1 (34:50):
Yeah, I mean, I'm kind of curious to see what
the contractual agreement was, because I mean, I guess they
you know, if they fired mel Tucker with cause I
can't how could they have had to fire mel Tucker?
Oh that's right, because mel Tucker decided, you know, this
is a smart play. After I got paid ninety million
dollars to be head coach, let me bring in somebody

(35:11):
to speak with my team as a rape survivor and
then try and have phone sex with her on the
while we're talking. That's a good idea great idea smooth
move by mel Tucker. So I'm assuming Michigan State got
out a majority of that contract. I'm curious to see
what Jonathan Smith gets here. There's some people who don't
like the move for Jonathan Smith. He's done a great
job at Oregon State. Corvallis is a really fun place

(35:34):
to see games played because it seems like it's always
raining all the time. All the time it's raining in Corvallis.
So I'm curious to see what he's able to do
with the Spartans, who look it's going to be a
daunting task to have to deal with these two teams
like a Michigan and Ohio State, but it'll be fun
to see I Jonathan Smith can turn it around like
he did with Oregon State.

Speaker 8 (35:55):
Next, rumors swirled on the Internet and message boards that
Ohio State Ryan Day could be taking the Texas A
and M head coaching job.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
Do you care? Yes, because it's Ryan Day and it's
a big time program. But I think urban Meyer was
seen laughing at the report earlier on Big Noon kickoff
before this game between Ohio State and Michigan. I just
to me, this feels like a Ryan Day maybe trying

(36:25):
to get a raise, Like maybe somebody within Ryan Day's circle,
within his camp, is trying to get him a raise. Look,
Nick Saban used to do this all the time. Remember
when Nick Saban was rumored to take the Texas job,
and so all of a sudden he got a raise,
and next thing you know, Alabama boosters are like, hey,
you know, on top of that, why don't we pay
off your mansion in Tuscaloosa. Don't worry about it, what
we got you covered? And Nick Saban ever went anywhere.

(36:46):
That's what it feels more like to me. I think
there's maybe some other interesting names that could be out
there when it comes to Texas A and M. I
don't buy the Ryan Day report.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
Next.

Speaker 8 (36:55):
Yeah, I thought urban Meyer was seen was going somewhere
else with you, uh Vikings wide receiver just and Jefferson
told people to stop telling him that he's costing them
in fantasy games, before deleting his social media accounts jonas,
do you care?

Speaker 1 (37:07):
Kind of like I love it? I love it. People
are such savages. It really is funny. Could you imagine
if roles were reversed, like if God forbid, like like
bo god forbid. You know, your little girl gets sick,
God forbid? All right, get sick and you need to
stay home because mom needs some help or whatever. She's

(37:28):
you know, throwing up a little bit. And next thing
you know, Jalen Hurts calls you and goes, hey, dude,
you I have you on my radio fantasy team. Would
you get back please? Like seriously, like enough's enough? Would
you please get back? I need you here. Just the
amount of savagery that we partake in all for fantasy football.
When you know there's majority of people out there when

(37:50):
they see a player get injured, they don't think, hey,
what about his family, what about his life? What about
his money and his career? All they think about is, yeah,
what about the ten dollars I chipped in for my
fantasy Like I'd really like to get that championship belt
at the end of the year. What's wrong with us?

Speaker 8 (38:07):
Bo Yeah, yeah, that's uh and throw on top of
the you know, like Kevin Durant telling people to stop
talking to him about their parlays. Like, I feel like
these athletes are kind of getting fed up with all
the extra stuff they get on top of a performance,
tweets and notes, so we listen.

Speaker 1 (38:23):
They don't get it, they don't understand. They never played
the game, all right, They probably never played fantasy football
or gambla this morning event, all right, So we can
turn it around on them. We'll turn the gun around
on them. You never played the game. You don't get it.
You don't know our play.

Speaker 8 (38:34):
Next, Spurs coach Greg Popovich he grabbed a mic to
tell Spurs fans to stop booing Clippers moll forward Kawhi
Leonard during a game last week, saying afterwards that he
has no regrets about doing it, and then he felt
sorry for Kawhi Jonas do you care?

Speaker 1 (38:49):
No, I don't a Greg Popo bitch. Look, if there's
a mount rushmore blowhards in sports, Greg Popovich has got
at least two of the heads. It is. He is
obnoxious and just like like he's got to grab the
mic and hey, nobody like dude, shut up.

Speaker 8 (39:04):
Yeah, like Spurs fans ignored him too.

Speaker 1 (39:06):
They okay doing it? Hey want to go sit down
and coach that win puppet that you were gifted with
the number one overall pick. All right, Like, go sit
down and shut up. I'm tired of Greg Popovich next,
all right. Former USC defensive coordinator Alex Grinch has listed
his Palace Vertice home for a four and a half
million dollars just a couple of weeks after getting fired.

(39:27):
House has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, and
a gorgeous ocean viewed Jonas do you care at the end? Yeah,
kind of? I love it here like this. I mean, look,
we could sit here and be critical of Alex Grinch,
and there's a lot of things to be critical of,
and we could sit here and knock his ability to
coach a defense, as USC was just annihilated and carved

(39:50):
up by team after team throughout the back end of
the season. But man, oh man, dude, when this guy's
rocking a four and a half million dollar home, the
four bedrooms for a gourmet kitchen, the ocean view, I mean, look,
sign me up, like, be as critical as you want
to me if I can live in a place like that,
I'm all in on something like this. So there's a

(40:12):
reason why something is happening in the NFL. We fall
forward every single time, though every single time I'll explain
what that is coming up here in just a couple
of moments from now. It is Jonas Knox on Fox
Sports Radio. You can hang out with us here on
the iHeartRadio app. You can find us on hundreds of
affiliates all across the country. Wherever the hell you are

(40:33):
making us a part of your Saturday afternoon. We appreciate

(40:53):
Tire rac dot com the way tire buying should be
so quick. Update on the game between Ohio State and Michigan.
A thirty eight yard field goal is up and good
for the Wolverines. Twenty seven seventeen is the score Michigan
over Ohio State just under twelve minutes left to go
in the game on Fox. So that was obviously a

(41:15):
big stop for Ohio State. There. If Michigan goes up
two touchdowns, I'm saying, it's it feels like it's a wrap.
I mean, you know, Ohio State did really well to
get back in this game and tie the game up,
but you know, Michigan is held off. They scored on
that Blake corm twenty two yard touchdown run, They've now

(41:37):
just kicked the field goal. They've got a ten point lead,
and so you this is going to be a big drive.
In fact, this drive, you could argue is maybe the
biggest drive of the season for Ohio State. Down ten
on the road with under twelve minutes left to go,
you expect Marvin Harrison Junior to be to be a
focal point here on this drive and for Ohio State

(41:57):
to try and get back in this game. Going to
the best player maybe in the country in Marvin Harrison Junior.
So we will keep you posting on this game throughout
the course of it. We've again got to eleven minutes,
fifty seven seconds left to go there with Michigan a
ten point lead. Twenty seven to seventeen over Ohio State.
So I've noticed that we do this every time. We

(42:19):
fall for it, every single time. There were a lot
of people who saw before the season. I'm not going
to say everybody, all right, because I think some people
had their reservations, but there were a lot of people
who before the season looked at the New York Jets
as legitimate contenders in the AFC. Now, if we're going

(42:43):
to be fair, four plays into the season, it was
over when Aaron Rodgers suffered the torn achilles and went
down with the injury. So if not for injury, we
have no idea how this would have looked. If not
for injuries all over the place, whether it's the offensive line,
you name it, we don't know how this would look.

(43:04):
What we know is the defense is legit. They've got
a great defense. Robert Sala coaches the hell out of
that defense. But the problem is the problem that it
was last year. It's the quarterback play, it's the offense,
all of that. So we don't know if Rogers is there,
how this thing looks. Probably, you know, I would venture
to guess a lot better. I would venture to guess. So,

(43:26):
if we're going to be fair about falling victim to
taking the bait and believing in New York and the
Jets before the season. We've also got to be fair
and say the injuries kind of derailed everything. But it
is funny how we know every single time that the
team that wins the off season generally doesn't produce like

(43:49):
we think they are in the regular season, yet we
still do it. But I took the bait. I mean,
I thought the Jets were for sure going to be
the exception, not the rule, to the hard knocks curse.
So I'm calling myself out here, like I looked at
the Jets and I go, man, this is going to

(44:09):
be a playoff team. Like this is gonna work. It's
going to be a playoff team. And they're bordering on laughingstock.
But the hell mary on Thanksgiving. Much like the butt fumble,
You've got like players getting ejected and punching officials. You've

(44:33):
got Robert Sala calling out Brece Hall. You've got healthy
scratches for guys who were given big contracts in the offseason.
You've got shuffling of where the coordinator is going to stand,
Will it be on the sideline or up in the booth.
You've got Tim Boyle and Zach Wilson being demoted for

(44:56):
a second straight year, and like, I mean, and it is,
it's bad, like way worse, Like they've completely melted down.
They've lost four straight games. They're not good. But one
thing that is going to happen. And I've been on
this for a couple of weeks now, Aaron Rodgers is

(45:18):
playing this year. That's happening. And you may be thinking
to yourself, well, what's the point, Like they're not going
to the playoffs, why would he even come back? Why
would you risk further injury and come back for a
team that's not going to the playoffs. And then I
see a tweet from Greg Doyle, who's been covering sports

(45:40):
for a long time, and I like Greg Doyle, and
Greg Doyle took to social media and he's you know,
he's in Indianapolis, and Doyle basically went on to say
that he doesn't believe that Aaron Rodgers tour's Achilles. He
doesn't believe he tours Achilles, at least not to the

(46:01):
extent of what Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant and some
of these others have gone through. And that's why this
is even a consideration for him to return. And then
he also said, plus he's a liar talking about Aaron Rodgers.
Now that tweet right there, And again I like Greg
Doyle and so this is not just isolated to Greg Doyle,

(46:23):
but it's that right there, which is why Aaron Rodgers
is coming back this year. That right there, Because all
of this goes back to the immunized comment during COVID
when everybody got upset because Aaron Rodgers had COVID and

(46:44):
then they said, well, how could he have gotten COVID
and he said, well, you know, I'm not vaccinated. I
said I was immunized, but not vaccinated, And so the
media didn't do their job and follow up, and so
because of that, they got a lot of people got upset.
You had some people in the media say that they
weren't going to give Aaron Rodgers an MVP vote because

(47:05):
of it. Like, there was a lot going on there
with Aaron Rodgers during the COVID era, and I think,
whether you want to agree with it or not, some
of that still persists. And I think some of that
is still there, and I think a tweet like that
from a credible journalist, a guy who's covered sports and
done a great job for a long time. In Greg
Doyle is exhibit A as to why Rogers is coming back

(47:29):
because he wants to prove to all of these so
called Twitter doctors and experts out there that think they
know what the hell's going on. He wants to prove
you have your ways, I have mine and minor effective.
You got vaxed, I didn't. We're both still here. They've
torn their achilles, so did I. But I'm going to

(47:52):
come back in the same season. Like this is a
personal thing for Rogers. Like the Jets being in playoff contention,
that's great, but he was always planning on coming back.
It's why Jay Glazer said it. Jay Glazer said it
a couple of days ago, Like, yeah, this is no
longer about whether or not the Jets have to be

(48:13):
in playoff contention, Like Rogers is coming back because he
wants to show that he can do it in the
same year. In fact, he doesn't even care if he's
one hundred percent or if he has full mobility like
he would have if he had another six months of rehab.
He just wants to show that he can come back,
and so after the game on Black Friday yesterday that

(48:35):
awful performance by the Jets, Rogers stayed back with the team,
which is an indicator because he normally goes back to
California for his rehab. But some people look at that
as the indicator that he's going to be there for
the duration, meaning they're going to start to ramp up.
Maybe he'll start getting into practice. But at some point

(48:57):
during the course of this season, Aaron Rodgers is playing
in and you can look at the Jets and say, dude,
why would you risk injury. This team's not a playoff team.
It ain't about that man. And I've been saying this
for a couple of weeks, and when you see stuff
like that come out where people question whether or not
it was really an achilles tear and are calling him
a liar, That's why. That's why he's doing this. If

(49:19):
you wanted the motivation behind why he would want to
come back when that team stinks, this is exactly why
to prove a point, because that's what this is about
for him. So Rogers, I would be shocked. I would
be more surprised if he doesn't come back this year
than if he does. That's where I'm at when it
comes to the Rogers stuff. Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio again,

(49:43):
get me on Twitter, at the Jonas Knox at the
Jonas Knocks on Twitter. A lot of positive feedback here
on the show. You know, a lot of people chiming
in really really complimentary of what we've been doing here
on the show. Just great job by everybody, you know,
under standing I'm not going to read that one, that's
for sure understanding, just some of the some of the

(50:04):
positive nature of the conversations that we have had here.
Guy on Twitter, Uh, I don't even know if I
should read this. He is set a not very complimentary
comment of Brady Quinn and says that Brady Quinn comes

(50:26):
close to the Mount rushmore of bleephead a hole Jonas
Knox and separated yourself as a use youthless, useless, easy
for me to say, and worthless sports media want to
be hack. So nice comment there on a holiday weekend.
A lot of a lot of a lot more chiming

(50:48):
in here. People are accusing me, but probably because of
Brian Finley of being a Michigan fanboy. Brian writes in
nothing this Jay Off Jonas would enjoy more than watching
your fantasy f Jimbo Harbaugh in those nut hugging khakis,
undersized Michigan cru sweater and geek glasses as you cheer

(51:08):
him on to not finally choke and win a title
for once. Go Blue f Boy Troy writes in and
attaches Steve Aoki to this. Can you permanently replace this
failed board op and utter complete, uttered bleep Jonas Knox
playing this bleep edm like it's halftime to people who

(51:31):
don't give a damn on radio loop, which is still
better than this gutless, irrelevant a hole. By the way,
that's in reference to some comments I made yesterday when
I was filling in for Colin Coward, and by the way,
I do want to say this, many people have been
very kind and complimentary about the opportunity to fill in.
That was the one show I had never done in

(51:52):
my time at Fox Sports Radio, so I needed to
cross it off the bucket list. I've done every single
show in every single time slot on the network except
for that one, and now I got to do it.
So I'm grateful for the opportunity, and people have been
very complimentary, But I simply pointed out, like I'm watching
the Niner Seahawks game. They bring out Steve Aoki to do,
you know, like to do his music and his performance,

(52:14):
and people in the crowd at the Seahawks game are like, dude,
can you give it a rest. We're getting the doors
blown off here at halftime on national television and this
guy's playing like club music, Like enough, like, just give
it a rest. Like we know what was planned, we
know what was in the plans, but like, our team's
getting annihilated by a division rival, it's not close. Can

(52:38):
we not hear trance music while you throw around glow
sticks and cakes at people? Like we got to sit
here and like dance along. Like nobody was into it,
nobody wanted any part of it. But for some reason
they thought it was a good idea to roll out
Steve Aoki and let him. Oh, let's let's put on
a club act here at a live game while the

(52:59):
while the home crew it's getting blown out by a
division rival. Doesn't make any sense. Let's go live to
our I have a thought on music inside stadiums insider
Chris Purfett for the latest Chris.

Speaker 5 (53:09):
Same Story on Thanksgiving with Jack Harlow and Detroit I
I it's the Lions are zero and seven in the
past seven years for Thanksgiving. I don't know why anyone
takes that that halftime gig, because nobody wanted to hear
Jack Harlow at halftime.

Speaker 1 (53:24):
After that, you're just You're playing in front of a
miserable crowd. It's like, dude, what are we doing here?
Like enough's enough, But the NFL continues to want to
roll this out. So if people are wondering why Steve A.
Hochi made an appearance on this show, it's because he
made an appearance yesterday. Somebody was listening and they wanted
to go ahead and bust my balls a little bit
for it. So there's there's the fun stuff we were
dealing with. By the way, quick update for Ann Arbor

(53:47):
before we get to break the Ohio State buck guys
have answered we mentioned it. They're probably going to utilize
Marvin Harrison Junior on the ensuing drive. They got the
ball back with under twelve minutes left to go. They
were down by ten Michigan after a field goal from
the Wolverines, and that's exactly what they did. A Marvin
Harrison touchdown catch and Ohio State has cut the Michigan

(54:09):
lead to twenty seven twenty four with six minutes left
to go there in the Big House, Michigan did just
pick up a big first down, but they are running
the ball, trying to milk this clock as best as
they can. They're approaching midfield. So that is the latest
there from the game, Michigan twenty seven twenty four leading
Ohio State under six minutes left to go, and we

(54:30):
will keep you updated on that throughout the course of
this show at the Jonas Knocks on Twitter. That is
at the Jonas Knocks on Twitter is where you can
find this. Find me on social media if you have
any more positive feedback you'd like to provide us. Coming
up next though here from the tire Rack dot Com Studios, somebody,
without them realizing it, actually did a really nice thing

(54:55):
for a recently fired coach in the NFL. This is
actually a really nice thing. It may not seem like
it in real time, but I'm gonna explain to you
why it is. That's next year on FSR, we don't
need to bring Jonas in. Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio.
Coming up in a little over ten minutes from now,

(55:15):
there's a franchise in the NFL that is resembling a
movie that was looked at as getting rave reviews, like
this movie got rave reviews and this team in the
NFL is resembling that movie. So we will explain who
that is, what the movie is, and why it's all

(55:37):
happening again. That's coming up here at a little over
ten minutes from now. A quick update from the Big
House in ann Arbor. Michigan had a twenty seven to
twenty four lead. They got the football back after the
Ohio State touchdown drive in which Kyle McCord through a
fourteen yard TD to Marvin Harrison Junior. There was eight minutes.

(56:00):
It's a little over eight minutes left to go in
the game. Since then, Michigan has put together a ten
play drive that's chewed up almost six minutes of clock.
They still have the football. They're at the Ohio State
twenty three. Ohio State is just called their second timeout
of the half and Michigan has a twenty seven twenty

(56:21):
four lead at the Big House there looking to ice
this thing as they just continue to run the ball
down Ohio State's throat, and it looks a lot like
how this has looked when Michigan has beaten Ohio State recently.
They've just run the ball down their throat and Ohio
State has no answers, and Michigan fans are starting to

(56:41):
feel it and starting to feel really good about where
they're at in this game at the Big House there.
So it looks like as it stands right now, and
Michigan again has the football. Ohio State still got one
time out left, but it looks like Michigan is going
to make this three straight wins over Ohio State and
extending the gap between wins in this rivalry. Because the

(57:03):
last time, as we pointed out earlier in this show,
the last time Ohio State beat Michigan in this game
was November thirtieth of twenty nineteen. That's a long ass
time ago. You won't know how long ago that was.
We went through a pandemic since then, that's how long
ago that was. Tiger King didn't even exist, that's how

(57:24):
long ago that was. So that is the last time
that Ohio State has beaten Michigan. And so now Michigan
has just run the ball again. They've got a third
down and we'll call it about seven or eight deep
in Ohio State territory. It's going to be officially third
and six. They have not called a time out, so
Michigan's going to let this clock bleed a little bit here,

(57:46):
and then you would expect they're probably going to run
the football here to try and keep the clock churning.
But it would not surprise me if they throw the ball,
considering JJ McCarthy just rolled out a couple a couple
of minutes ago and threw across his body. Dangerous throw
especially all things considered, but he did complete the pass.

(58:07):
So the clock continued to run, and so Michigan now
will burn one of their timeouts. So we've got a
minute fifteen left to go. We've got a third and
six for Michigan. They are at the Ohio State twenty
three yard line, and we are going to keep you
posting on this throughout the remainder of this and kind
of see where this game pans out. But it does

(58:27):
look pretty good for Michigan right now, holding onto this
lead here against Ohio State. And look, there's a couple
of things to point out now if you are a
degenerate gambler, all right, or just a gambler period, but
it's more fun to call somebody a degenerate gambler. It's
just there's something about it, you know, it just is
a little bit more fun. You probably saw this line

(58:48):
at three and a half. So if you bet on
Ohio State, yeah, it's unfortunate that their kicker missed a
kick at the end of halftime because this game would
be tied right now or at the end of the
first half. But you know you are because of that
three and a half, because of that hook. They call
it in gambling, they call it a hook that half point.
Because of that three and a hook. I mean you're

(59:10):
sitting pretty right now. So if Michigan gets a first
down here and they ice this game, I mean you're
gonna win because you had that hook that three and
a half there, which is why three is such a
crucial number when it comes to gambling. So anything beyond
or below that, you feel like you're in a good spot.
So Michigan has just handed the ball off to Blake
Corm yet again, and Coorm picks up a couple of yards.

(59:31):
They are down to the Ohio State twenty yard line
and it will be fourth and four. Ohio State's gonna
use their final timeout, so we will keep you posting
on this and let you know what this play is.
Whether or not Michigan goes for it, tries to kick
a field goal, who knows. But this is where we're
at at the big House between Ohio State and Michigan.
Michigan up. Twenty seven, twenty four, all right, So I

(59:52):
want to mention something here, and we are gonna have
Knox locks coming up later on this hour about twenty
minutes from now as well too for those of you
speaking of gambling. But I do want to mention this
here because there was a story that came out in
the NFL yesterday and I think just on the surface,
you look at it and go, fall guy had to
take the blame blah blah blah blah blah. And it

(01:00:14):
was Jack del Rio, the defensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders,
getting fired, and you would look at that and go,
of course, Ron Rivera is trying to save his ass,
so he's going to fire Jack del Rio, and he's
going to make the decision to get rid of him,
and of course you're gonna blame it on Jack del
Rio when Ron Rivera's on the hot seat. Well, another
report from ESPN followed that that said Ron Rivera's probably

(01:00:37):
saved the rest of the season, but that they're going
to evaluate him in Washington after the year is over.
And it's like, okay, so you don't want to make
an in season firing. There's a brand new owner there.
You want to create some sort of at least stability
from a let's not just panic and make a move
in season decision like maybe they were trying to do
when it came to moving on from Ron Rivera. At

(01:00:58):
some point following the they're going to go ahead and
just say it's fine. You know, we're not going to
make this decision now, We're going to wait till after
the year. But I think if you look at the
firing of Jack del Rio, you can look at it
from the standpoint of Ron Rivera using him as the
fall guy when Ron Rivera knows he's on the hot seat,

(01:01:20):
or you can look at it the way I look
at it, as Jack del Rio looking around Ron Rivera
looking at him, and Rivera goes, hey, dude, we're all
out of here at the end of the year. Why
don't you go hang out with the family for the holidays.
Once you go ahead and just you know, go do
your thing, because if this is where this is going

(01:01:40):
to go, I'd rather just be gone now. Like I
remember when the Packers moved on from Mike McCarthy. It
was before the holidays, and people were like, oh my god,
how could they do this? The holidays are right around
the corner. It's like, yeah, this is when you do it. Like,
I don't want to lose my job after the holidays,

(01:02:01):
when I already spent all my money. I'd like to
know before the holidays what I can work with. And
I'm not saying any of these guys have issues spending,
but just from the standpoint of when's the right time
to move on, I'd rather know now. If this is
what the result is going to be at the end
of the year, I'd rather know now. And So if
you look at this situation and you go, man, Ron

(01:02:21):
Rivera is bailing Jack del Rio out, and Ron Rivera
is bailing himself out by firing Jack del Rio rather
and he's using him as the fall guy. You can
look at that that way if you'd like to. I
look at it as if I'm Jack del Rio. Sweet
All right, guys, where do you want to go for
the holidays? We've got a whole bunch of time off.
It didn't work in Washington. Everybody's gone. At the end

(01:02:43):
of the year, they're starting this thing over. They might
be drafting a quarterback depending on how they evaluate Sam Howe.
So I look at it as a good thing for
Jack del Rio, not a bad thing like I think
a lot of people did when they were trying to
accuse Ron Rivera of using del Rio as the fall
guy when Ron Rivera knows that his time is limited
in Washington. Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio, Get me

(01:03:04):
on Twitter at the Jonas Knox at the Jonas Knox
on Twitter. All right, So coming up next here from
the Tirak dot Com studios, there is a franchise in
the NFL that is looking a lot like a well
regarded movie. I'll explain who that is and who it
involves coming up here just a couple of moments from now,
but for all the latest from around the world of sports,
including what the hell's happening at the Big House where

(01:03:26):
we have just had points go up on the board
the one and only Brian Well.

Speaker 4 (01:03:30):
Jonas, this is a well regarded movie. At least this
game is playing out to be. I'm curious if you're
Michigan Wolverines. Clearly you're on their side given the way
that you have been able to pump them up over
the course of your show. But it is thirty to
twenty four in favor of number three Michigan against number
two Ohio State.

Speaker 6 (01:03:47):
Here's the thing, though, the Wolverines.

Speaker 4 (01:03:48):
Held to a field goal, so it will be Ohio
States football here and Kyle McCord will lead the offense
out there for House State first and ten coming up
at their yard line, and there's one minute flat to
go in the fourth quarter, so they need a touchdown,
of course.

Speaker 6 (01:04:05):
To win this. We'll see if they can do it.

Speaker 4 (01:04:07):
We'll continue to cover that bad boy as this game
goes on elsewhere. We do know that there are a
couple of finals involving top twenty five teams in college football,
including one involving a potential Heisman candidate in LSU quarterback
Jaden Daniels.

Speaker 7 (01:04:23):
Daniels looking to throw looking for Lacey, spinning, Lacy has
it what.

Speaker 1 (01:04:28):
Corner of the end zone?

Speaker 4 (01:04:29):
Touchdown, Fighting Tigers get Kiren Lazy in on the act.

Speaker 6 (01:04:35):
That is right Number fourteen LSU.

Speaker 4 (01:04:37):
That is their radio network they win against xas A
and M forty two to thirty thanks to twenty one
fourth quarter points for the Tigers, and Daniels had four
touchdowns through the air in that contest. Number ten Louisville
through an interception last play of the game, Jack Plumber
did it and they end up losing at home, giving
up seventeen points in the fourth quarter to Kentucky. They

(01:05:00):
come out on top thirty eight to thirty one. About
a minute ago, Ray Davis from thirty seven yards busted
a move and got into the end zone for the
Wildcats to put them up in front for good. Also
coming up in moments from now, we've got Auburn hosting
number eight Alabama, Number twenty five, Liberty and UTEP just
underway no score in the first and the Territorial Cup

(01:05:23):
number fifteen Arizona and Arizona State getting soon to kickoff
as well. And when you look at what else is
happening in college football, we do know that Michigan State
has tabbed Jonathan Smith as its next football coach, prying
him away from Ohio or from Oregon State. Excuse me,
I saw erwin Meyer was on the studio desk there

(01:05:43):
for Fox's coverage of the big game, so it won't
be him the leading MSU moving forward. And lastly, the
quarterback for Colorado, shaduer Sanders will not play against Utah.
That game is on its way and happening here, and
his obviously been taking a lot of punishment from the
offensive line there for coach Prime and Dion Sanders. Now

(01:06:07):
to a guy who certainly was in the prime getting
to fill in for Colin Coward, Jonas Knox.

Speaker 1 (01:06:14):
All right, yeah, yeah, Like I'm also trying to figure
out whether or not this is a catch and a
fumble or an incomplete pass there. They're reviewing it now
because it is under two minutes obviously, but it looks
like he took steps for Ohio State. It was a
catch and a fumble, but it was recovered by the Buckeys.
So Michigan is trying to claim it's an incomplete pass

(01:06:36):
because Ohio State would have the football in Michigan territory
if this is ruled a completed catch and a fumble
were covered by Ohio State. But they are now reviewing
this here, and so I mean, look, you know it's
a safe play for Ohio State. Just throw it up
to Marvin Harrison Junior. Just go ahead and do that,
because it feels like they can get stuff down the

(01:06:56):
field on Michigan if they need to. Michigan tried to
grind out the clock as much as they can, so
they're call in the field is that it was a catch.
But we've got thirty four seconds left in Ohio State
as it stands right now, as a first and ten
inside Michigan territory. You imagine being a I know you've
been making false accusations here on the show, but you imagine, yes,

(01:07:18):
could you imagine that? You imagine being a Michigan or
Ohio State fan right now? How stressful? This is? What
a miserable existing Well.

Speaker 4 (01:07:25):
Considering how much money you have on Michigan and clearly
your allegiances are with that team, you must be a
stress ball that's incarnate right now.

Speaker 1 (01:07:33):
No, that's not true. Let me tell you something. Although
look them kicking that field goal. If you did have
Michigan minus three and a half. I mean, I'm not
saying that there weren't some people that were thrilled with
the decision there, but I look at it and I go, man,
if I if I were Michigan, I probably would have
tried to go for it on fourth down, to be
honest with you, like it just just seeing where they

(01:07:55):
were out on the field, you know, maybe try, you know,
trust your offensive line, maybe run the ball. Yet four
was it fourth and four?

Speaker 6 (01:08:01):
Something like four than four?

Speaker 1 (01:08:02):
Yeah, Yeah, that's gonna be something that's questioned. So they
are now coming back on the field. They have called
it a catch and a fumbel recovery by Ohio State.
So Ohio State does have a first down. Kyle McCord
has thrown the ball well when needed to. He's made
some big throws. They've responded. Every time Michigan has gone
up ten or extended the lead past that three point threshold,

(01:08:24):
Ohio State has responded. So now Ohio State's got the
football in Michigan territory, trailing thirty to twenty four. There's
thirty four seconds left and it is first and ten
for the buck Eyes at the Michigan thirty seven yard line.
So Kyle McCord trying to pull off an epic comeback
here and it is thrown and it is intercepted by

(01:08:46):
the Michigan Wolverines. McCord was hit on the throw and
the Michigan Wolverines are going to win this game. Do
we have a flag on the field.

Speaker 6 (01:08:54):
Probably for excessive celebration?

Speaker 1 (01:08:56):
I think so yeah. I mean, if this is the NFL,
that would be run the passer. There's the flag on
the field, and we will see whether or not it's
successive celebration. It's hard to tell because they got so
many yellow pom poms in the crowd, so I don't
know whether or not somebody got drunken through one on
the field and that's what the flag was, all right,
So the penalty or what are we looking at here? Yes,

(01:09:18):
sports on sportsmanlike contact and so, uh, it's.

Speaker 4 (01:09:20):
On Michigan, but I think it's after yeah, the fact
you're right, Finley, look at you. I tried, Jonas, I
try successive celebration. So there was a big hit on
Kyle Record. Defense got pressure on the Ohio State quarterback
and then the ball was poorly thrown ball. He was
trying to get it to Marvin Harrison Junior, but he

(01:09:41):
was hit on the throw and.

Speaker 1 (01:09:42):
So Michigan picks it off and Michigan is going to
win this game thirty to twenty four. So it'll be
yet another year of Ryan Day losing to Michigan and
or Jim Harbaugh. And now you got to ask the question.
And we've got to be fair about this question, all right.
If the sign stealing was such an advantage, what's your

(01:10:02):
excuse now? All right, like we just you gotta be
fair about it, all right. I know, look, Ohio State fans.
I love Columbus Ohio all right, love the homage bart
the graduate all right right near the campus of Ohio State.
But you had to win this game. This was the
biggest game in Ryan Day's coaching career. And we can

(01:10:23):
make all the excuses we want bad call here this
and that Michigan got favorable spots, call it whatever you want.
Fact of the matter is you blew the whistle. Michigan
was accused of signed stealing and whatever else they were doing,
and then here we are, here we go. It's another
year and the same result, and Michigan is going to
win this game, and it's gonna be a long ass

(01:10:45):
time since Ohio State has beaten Michigan. That's biggest game
in Ryan Day's coaching career and they've come up short
and you just got out, Like, what's it's like the
old you can watch the clip online. When the rematch
took place between Roy Jones Junior and Antonio Tarvor, a
lot of people felt like Antonio Tarvor won the first fight,

(01:11:07):
but Roy Jones Junior was saying, well, I dropped back
down from heavyweight to fight at light heavyweight and my
body was depleted all of that stuff. And as they
were doing the stare downs before, while the referee was
giving the instructions in the ring, Antonio Tarbor said to
Roy Jones Junior, you got any excuses now, Roy, you
got any more excuses? I just wonder if Jim Harbaugh

(01:11:30):
is gonna be next time he sees if he ever
sees Ryan Dagg, and he's gonna pull him aside and say,
you got any more excuses now? Because it's all gone,
all the talk, all the advantages, all that stuff. Man
o man, Ohio State fans are going to be bitter,
and listen, I know a couple they will not be
hearing from me for the next forty eight hours. I'm

(01:11:52):
gonna leave it alone, Okay, I'm gonna be a kind
person here and leave it alone. Big win for the
Michigan State will mission Wolverines. I just said Michigan State.
Apologies take that out of the podcast, please, I don't
want to piss off ann Arbor two. But big win
for the Michigan Wolverines. Thirty to twenty four is the
final as the clock is winding down, and Michigan is

(01:12:13):
going to move to twelve and zero onto the Big
Ten title game, and you would presume probably onto the
college football playoff as well too. So there it is.
The fans are starting to storm the field there at
the Big House, and it is going to be a
drunken night of celebration there in ann Arbor, Michigan. So

(01:12:33):
congratulations to the Michigan Wolverines. Jonas Knox here on Fox
Sports Radio. By the way, I did want to mention
this before we get to break because I got to
pay off the te's because I'm a broadcast professional. I
want to pay off the tees. The New England Patriots
have made a decision on quarterback. Their starting quarterback will
not be Will Greer all right, because Will Greer was
released by the Patriots. He was released, but we still

(01:12:56):
don't know who's going to be starting games for the
New England Patriots when it comes to tomorrow's matchup. With
the Giants. We don't know if it's going to be
Bailey's Appy, We don't know if it's gonna be Mac Jones.
Nobody knows. And the Patriots are starting to remind me
of Mickey Rourke in The Wrestler. You ever seen that movie,
Like it just kind of chronicles a guy who was
really great at the top of the game back in

(01:13:17):
the day, and then you see him at certain times,
and he's like at these autograph signings at gymnasiums, and
there's like wrestlers there who have like, you know, like
urine bags because they can't get up to use the
bathroom anymore because of all their injuries. They've got like
a club foot and like all the other things that
come along with the injuries from professional wrestling, scars on
their foreheads from blading themselves to make themselves bleed during matches,

(01:13:41):
And Mickey Rourke's looking around going, this is what we've become.
Like the Patriots are looking around, going, this is what
we've become. We now no longer know who our starting
quarterback is, and the only news we've given anybody the
day before our game is that we cut our third
stringer who's the starter, no clue, not quite sure, Okay,

(01:14:03):
kind of sad to see at the Jonas Knox on Twitter.
At the Jonas Knox on Twitter. Right's coming up next
here we are going to have another edition of Knox Locks.

in a little over ten minutes from now here from
the Tire Raq dot Com Studios, we get to Knox Locks.
It is time for the progressive play of the day.
Arvin Harrison the wide receiver at the top of your screen.

Speaker 6 (01:15:07):
Maccord looks tired.

Speaker 1 (01:15:10):
Accept it? What he nice to get the game? Head
head to the Take ten Chaffionship, Gus Johnson and Fox
bring you the progressive play that get the play of
the day. That was the the iced it for the
Michigan Wolverines. That was the play that clinched a nether

(01:15:32):
win in the rivalry against Ohio State. And that was
brought to you by Progressive Insurance. Progressive makes bundling easy
and affordable. Get a multi policy discount by combining your motorcycle, RB, boat,
ATV and more all your protection in one place. Bundle

time for.

Speaker 2 (01:15:50):
This right lock it.

Speaker 1 (01:15:52):
Let's lock it and no and no Knox Locks. Now
we've got to address what happened last week. Okay, because
there were a lot of people that were critical in
the prior week. I went winless two to one. Not ideal.
So what did we do? We bounced back last week
Jets and bills. I told you the bills minus seven.
That felt great. The Jets stink. The Bills had just

(01:16:14):
fired their coordinator. They needed a bounce back spot. I
liked Buffalo in that game minus the seven. That was
a win. Also, like the Seahawks getting two points at
the Rams. Yeah, they lost the game, but Seattle had
routinely struggled in LA for whatever reason. Pete Carroll and
the Seahawks struggle in LA. But I liked them getting
the two points. They ended up only losing by a point,

(01:16:34):
so that was a win. And then I would have
been three to oh if the Denver Broncos would have
actually converted that two point conversion at the end of
that game against Minnesota on Sunday Night Football, I had
Denver minus two and a half. They did not cover,
though they only won by a point. So it was
a two to one performance last week. But the good news
is last week's gone, and after last week were one

(01:16:57):
game over five hundred and sixteen fifteen and two. As
we head in to Week twelve, Saints set Falcons. All Right,
this is it. This is my last chance and last
opportunity to trust the Saints. I'm gonna go with New
Orleans here. They're a point and a half favorite. This

(01:17:19):
goes against my better judgment. They've been one of the
more disappointing teams all season long. I know they've got injuries,
but Derek Carr is back all right, and reportedly he
is healthy and ready to go. This is my last
chance that I'm giving, my last opportunity to trust New
Orleans Saints. I'm gonna take New Orleans minus a point
and a half. Atlanta. I don't get it. I don't

(01:17:41):
know what the plan was in the offseason, but they
needed to address the quarterback position. They did not, and
this is why they are where they are. Even though
it's a road game, it's a divisional game, I'll trust
the Saints minus a point and a half. Steelers at Bengals,
I mean, I'm gonna use the same logic that I
used with Buffalo, even though this is a road game.
I'm gonna take Pittsburgh minus the two. They just fired

(01:18:04):
their offensive coordinator. You would assume that that would wake
people up a little bit here. If Matt Canada really
was the problem, you would assume this would be the
solve all. This will be the fix all for the
Pittsburgh Steelers, and everything's gonna go back to normal and
they're gonna go back to being a legitimate offense in
the NFL, and who knows, maybe they'll even out gain
the Cincinnati Bengals, who are playing with the backup quarterback

(01:18:25):
for the first time this season. Pittsburgh might actually pull
that off. So I'm gonna trust this. I'm gonna trust
Pittsburgh bouncing back and rebounding and coming off the firing
of a coordinator much like I did Buffalo. I'll take
the Steelers minus two Rams, said Cardinals. I'm taking Arizona
getting points at home. Look, I know Arizona is not
a good football team, but with Kyler Murray back, they're

(01:18:47):
a different football team. They're a dangerous football team. I
don't trust the Rams. Give me the Cards getting two
and a half points at home, and that is your
Week twelve edition of Not Knocks. This has been a
fun one. It was fun being on the air for
Michigan's went over Ohio State. But it couldn't have happened

(01:19:07):
without Bo Benson, Chris Purfett, Brian Finley. We've got Brie
and Ian in the background making it sound pretty Make
sure you stick around. We've got Monty and Alex next
