Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio radio.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Oh good afternoon slash evening, depending on where you're listening.
Hope you having a fantastic Sunday. Jeff Schwartz, my man
live in So Cal. Huh in the Fox Sports Radio
studios over there?
Speaker 3 (00:16):
How is everything? Was there a red carpet laid out
for you? Today?
Speaker 4 (00:19):
Steve Hartman was here screaming, so there was certainly a
red carpet laid out for me, And it was his
voice being as loud as possible. I love Steve. I
work with Steve for for a lot a lot of years. Now.
We joke all the time that he's my parents age.
So it's very funny that Steve and I worked together
for so many years, and but he is the loudest
human that has ever spoken into a radio mike I've
(00:42):
ever heard of my life, and I was here to
witness it in person, and it was very fun. It
was good talking to with Steve. And I know you're
you're in a studio New York too, like we're on separate
coast right now.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
I know it right.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
I didn't know you're going to be in La I'm
over here in New York City, so have you done
any shows from this dudo Jeff.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
Yeah, it's on fifty seventh, fifty.
Speaker 4 (01:03):
Fifth, Yes I have, I have, yeah, oh yes I have.
I think they did one of our count one of
our shows in the it's nice studio. Yeah, it's on
like the tenth floor I Art studio. It's very It
is odd because it's I'm sure it's empty today too,
like when I did my show on Sunday. It's weird
to be in a big old studio with like no
one there, but it's uh, it's nice. Yeah, I mean, look,
(01:25):
the setups are fantastic, Like there's a fort, there's a
camera here. I don't know if it's I don't think
it's on. It doesn't look like it's on, which is
probably better because this is a radio medium, right, they
don't need to see our faces.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
For this, right, for that it just says weekends off
somewhere on that camera.
Speaker 4 (01:40):
Right, And we could see the up the old studio here.
You couldn't see the update desks, and I could see
we could see everyone all around right here. And uh,
I thought Monty wearing like a Clipper shirt or something today.
I don't know the Clippers, the one Clippers fan in
the entire state, entire state of California.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
I grew up.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
I grew up in Los Angeles. I don't know a
single Clippers fan, like, no one. Well also too, like
when I was a kid, the Lakers were you know,
it was like the end of Magic Johnson right, A
couple not not down years. But you know, the mid
the late nineties, wasn't they weren't they weren't a championships
And then Kobe showed up and shof showed ups. Like, no,
who was a Clippers fan during that time?
Speaker 3 (02:16):
Yeah, well it was one person. It was MONSI, one
whole person.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
And I went to more games of stay at Sports
Arena than ever at Staples Center because Sports Arena was
ten dollars to sit, like fifth row. So we went
a lot as a kid.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
You know, I'm going to be you know how they
have the hybrid cars now, Jeff right, where it's like
half gas half electric. It's the same concept. Because I
got here today. Everything went fine on the little journey
to fifty fifth Street in Manhattan, and then I was
unpacking my stuff and I'm like, oh shoot, I left
my chargers, all my stuff back at the place. We're
staying at a friend's house. Oh no, So I'm going
(02:53):
to be conserving computer energy during the show today, Jeff,
So we can make it through the whole show.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
What one for you there?
Speaker 2 (03:01):
They don't have they probably do, but it's you know,
it's it's more fun to do it this way where
it's like, okay, I can close the computer now it's
a commercial break.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
We're okay, we're trying to get there, you know.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
So I'm going to try that and then I'll ask
somebody as a last resort, you know, I will tell.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
You, Brian, I this morning did a show on a
different station on Zoom for three hours. Did not plug
my computer in once. So yeah, it can be done.
It can be done.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
Mega battery there.
Speaker 4 (03:30):
I made it. I made it work. I don't use
my laptop very much, so I think the battery is
still like pretty good. I'm a desktop guide home.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
Okay, so this is probably a square bet, at least
it looks like it right now. But I've got Scotty Scheffler,
so we need him to be at minus one today,
and I'm like, it's the world's best golfer. He had
a really good day yesterday. He had a triple boat.
Oh no, right, that was yesterday, but he still finished
minus one even with a triple bogey.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
I'm like, he should be good for minus one.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
He's at plus one right now, Jeff, We're gonna have
to rally in these last few holes we got.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
We have four screens in the here and none of
them are showing the tournament.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
I have.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
I have shuffler to win outright, So I'm gonna say
you I was actually gonna text you today because you
had You did not send me any any any golf
wagers at all last four days.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
I've been looking like, you know, I'm sorry about that,
but because I figured you were in California and couldn't
okager the same way.
Speaker 4 (04:25):
This is something that is gonna bother me to no
end today.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
Okay, Game two tonight.
Speaker 4 (04:31):
Tail, I tail some people and they want They told
me to take Drew Holliday rebounds and assist over. Okay,
I don't think my offshores offer that wager. They haven't
put it up yet. Now there's some there's some points
we round assist wagers up, but not rebounds and assist alone.
(04:52):
So the question is do I try to parlay both
the rebounds and his assist number, and I hope he
gets over both, okay, yeah? Or do I just take points,
rebounds and assist and just say, like, look, I need
ten points from holiday and both wages would essentially hit
a right like you short get what I'm saying there totally?
(05:12):
Or I just sit it out. I did put in
a bunch of wagers before I left yesterday morning, so
like I, I have my Kyrie over for today. I
think he plays better. What we'll talk about the game
obviously extensively I have. I took Luca last game rebounds
and assist over and he got one assist and ten rebounds.
I ran at one back, like come on, I mean
(05:32):
someone will make a shot, I would imagine after he
passes them the ball tonight. So I ran a few
back from from game one. That's one thing I've learned
really following Krackenberger, who we do shows with. We'll start
a getting in August with Bill every Sunday is when
you when you kind of just like learn how sharp's
wager Brian. A lot of times they just repeat like
the same prop over in a series. Yeah, until like
(05:55):
it's the number gets too ridiculous to where they decided
not to take it anymore. So I'm running some of
these back from from game one. I think Game two
probably looks different tonight. The fun part about this game,
right is depending on the lens you took of this
series heading into game one determines how you feel tonight.
If you're a Boston fan, you say, see, I told you, guys,
(06:19):
this is what we've been doing all season. This is
how we played all year, including the almost blowing the
twenty one point lead, you know, in the third quarter,
but we won by twenty. Porzingos was back, We won
a game where Tatum didn't play very well. This is
our team. This is the championship team. Like that, that's
a complete argument that you said for weeks, that I
said to me for weeks. You know, is that when
(06:39):
I said I don't trust the Celtics, this just way
to the finals, and they showed me, right, They showed me.
On the Dallas side, you could say, look, man, we
cut it to eight points and Kyrie didn't play well.
We had nine assists as a team, Like what is that?
You know? I don't know if Luca played his best game.
He played well, but not his best game, and we
were right there and the Celtics shot light lights out.
(07:01):
They saw they were incredible. Our guy Sam Hauser coming
through with the with I think he ended up with
three threes, maybe at.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
Least two of them back to back, didn't miss one
of them back.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
To back, and so, you know, and the adjustments that
Boston made defending the law, I thought was was pretty impressive.
And you know, I think in game two there's more
adjustments to be made. I think on the Dallas side,
which cud like, hey man, just making some open shots.
So it depends on how you look at this game
one beforehand, right before, because easy make the case in
(07:31):
this game like Boston just runs the same thing back
and and you'd be like, yeah, ok, that makes sense.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Yeah they could. I just thought, and look, it's one game.
It doesn't mean the series is over. There's still a
long way to go. But Game one showed that the
criticism of the Celtics was completely over the top heading
into the final I was wrong, Yeah, but you weren't
the only one, Jeff that was that was the mainstream
opinion was it was all about Dallas and they were
(08:01):
very impressive. I don't take anything away from Dallas on
their path to the finals. You saw they have two
legitimate closers. They have a lot of strengths. Luca and
Kyrie are magnificent. So yeah, I can see why there
are those that would like Dallas. But I didn't understand
why there was so much Celtic's hatred and negativity. It
(08:23):
just was completely over the top. Or it's like they
have strengths too. It's not just about hey didn't face
Jimmy Butler, they didn't face Donovan Mitchell for the whole series,
or Halliburton for the whole series. It's like, yeah, that's
all true, but it's not just negative with Boston. There's
a reason they won sixty four games, have one of
(08:44):
the best point differentials in the history of the NBA.
It can't only be about their deficiencies. And at least
Game one showed you that's true.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
Well, I think a lot of the things that we
talked about when it came to you know, why I
did not trust Boston was because and I mentioned this
at the time, like we talked about them like we
talk about, you know, teams that win championships, and they
haven't done that yet. Now, if they win this championship,
(09:13):
and you know, then of course we can talk about Okay,
they were waiting to turn on, they're waiting to turn on. Well, Brian,
they they haven't done that before. They haven't waited to
turn on to win a championship yet, right, So like
to say they're doing this to me feels a little
bit foolish. Now they can make me look bad because
they win the championship and right, Shorts, you were wrong,
and certainly I'll own being wrong there, but they had
(09:34):
not proven to me that they can just essentially coach through.
And I think tonight's a really important game because Game
two and all their series have been games they have
not shown up quite to the degree they should, right,
And if Dallas steals this game tonight, you know, it
kind of goes back into Dallas's favor, Right, Dallas is
not winning four or five if they lose tonight, They're not.
(09:55):
And so that's why I think Dallas is like an
empty the tank. I didn't bet over points. I'm probably
gonna regret doing that. It just feels like a Luca
historic game. Also, and I think Kyrie plays better, so
I think both of them we get the best they
can give tonight. That might not be a win. That
might not be a win, but I could see situation
where we saw, you know, in the Dallas Wolf series
where these two combined for sixty points. You know, I
(10:18):
could see that being a game that we see tonight
from those two guys.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
That's my question for Boston tonight, because you knew me, Jeff,
I was banging the table where they have strengths to
Oh yeah, it was my whole thing. But you know
as well as I do that, Boston, they lose focus sometimes,
and look, man, I know it's the Finals. This is
the biggest stage, the brightest lights, all of that, where
(10:45):
there's no excuse to lose focus. But I wonder based
on how Game one went and they were leading by
twenty one points at halftime.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
You know, they win comfortably. They set a record.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
They became the first team in the NBA five Finals
history to have seven players make multiple three pointers. You know,
like it was a great Game one performance. Boxers are
checked left and right. Celtic Celtic, Celtic Celtics. I just
wonder if they come out with that same force in
Game two. That's the question, right, That's gonna tell a
(11:18):
lot of how Game two is going to go because
Boston has lost focus and they have relaxed at times.
I'm not saying they will, I'm just saying it's something
to watch early on in this game. Will they come
out swinging like they did in Game one? Or do
you see a Celtics team that's not quite as focused
as seemingly ticked off as they were in the first half.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
I want to see how they come out tonight.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
Well, a lot of that was Porzingis right. Was he
came out on such fire. I actually I faded him
tonight because he came out he had seventeen points in
three rebounds I believe at the end of the first half,
and finished with twenty points in like six rebounds. Yeah,
sure if he if he doesn't give him that performance,
(12:05):
I think a couple of things are happening. I think
that we see a Tatum have a really big game, right. Look,
there's a way I think to bet props with the
oeo ing right where guys kind of don't play their
best game, then play their best game. I feel like
Tatum tonight's one of those games where unless he's just
not going to play to his potential in the series
like that, feels like a big Tatum game tonight, same
(12:26):
as it does sort of a big Luka Kyrie game.
So I think the superstars really do play well tonight.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Okay, we got a lot to get to. Man coming
up around the corner. We want to get to is
this a smart move, a stupid move or does it
not matter at all?
Speaker 3 (12:44):
That's on the way.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
It is Fox Sports Radio here. We're live from the
tiraq dot com studios. He is Jeff Schwartz. I'm Brian
know so Jason Kidd, head coach of the Dallas Mavericks here. Jeff,
he raised some eyebrows. He said that Jalen Brown is
the Celtic's best player, not Jason Tatum. And so there's
(14:16):
been reaction, most notably from Jalen Brown, and I should
say from Jason Tatum, because Tatum chimed in and he said, hey,
we understand that people try to drive a wedge between us.
I guess that's a smart thing for Jason to try
to do. But we've been in this position for many
years of people trying to divide us, say that one
(14:37):
of us should be traded and one's better than the other.
So it's not the first time. Here's my question Jason
Kidds saying this, is this a smart move to put
it out there that way? Is it a stupid move
or do you think it really doesn't make a big
difference either way? What do you think about Jay Kidds
saying that it's Jalen Brown, number one Celtic ex player,
(15:00):
not Tatum Swift.
Speaker 4 (15:04):
He's he's just trying to mess with the Celtics anyway possible, right,
I mean, this distracts the players a tiny bit. But
we hear all the time, Brian about distractions in sports,
right like, oh, heaven forbid, that's distracted. Well, it matters,
right like, instead of being asked questions about the upcoming game,
right like specifically had game two, you're being asked like
(15:25):
are you the best player on the team, Like it's
it's an awkward question to have to answer, And it's
just because the coach and the other team is trying
to do this to you, right Like, it's just it's
just a mind trick, tactical warfare on a small scale
that kid is doing. But also too, like maybe he
wants Jason Tatum to take a couple more threes. Tonight.
(15:46):
That's not his strong suits has proved everyone. Ay man, look,
I'm the best player on the team. I thought Jalen
Brown was fantastic. I actually think that, And I didn't
wager on any MVPs for the series. But why did
I took Luca? I thought was gonna win. But like
Jaylen b and we talked about this heading into the
last weekend, like he if there's a shot that needs
(16:06):
to be made with the game on the lote, I
want Jalen Brown to have the ball in his hands
on that team, right, Like he's fantastic and he played
incredibly well in Game one, so it's a compliment too.
But also I think it's also a mind game from
kid like h he wants them to have to answer
that question.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
I'm gonna say this is stupid for two reasons. I
don't think it's true. It's not if you just look
at the taiale of the tape, right, Jason Tatum is
a year younger, so Jalen Brown has been in the
NBA longer, and Jason Tatum, he's the guy with five
All Star appearances. Jalen Brown's made the All Star team
three times. If you look at Tatum. He's been an
(16:47):
All NBA first teamer three times. Brown is a one
time All NBA second teamer, Right, so like tatums the
better player. So I don't think this is accurate to say.
And I also think it's stupid to say this heading
into Game two and the rest of the series, because
Tatum was had a pretty sleepy Game one performance.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
Right.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
He scored sixteen points, he was six of sixteen from
the field. Eleven rebounds is nice, but that's a lower scoring,
sort of sleepy performance by Tatum.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
Why would you give him extra motivation?
Speaker 2 (17:22):
Why why would you go out and say, oh, yeah,
Jalen Brown's the top layer on the Celtics squad. I
just don't see the value in doing that. And even
if Jason Kidd thinks that's the case that Brown is
better than Tatum, I don't see how it does anything
good for the MAVs. Like, does this like fire up
(17:42):
Jalen Brown even more to the oh yeah there is?
Speaker 3 (17:45):
Does it give him extra confidence? I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
If anything's gonna tick off Tatum and he's gonna be
motivated to throat in j Kidd's face, I don't know, Jeff,
you know as a former athlete, sometimes we make more
out of this than there is to make. Jason Tatum's
highly motivated to go out there, ball out win a championship.
It's not as if he wasn't motivated before these comments.
(18:08):
But athletes are the most competitive people you will find,
and for Tatum to hear this from Kid, it's like, okay,
game on, right, Like, do you think it would be
smart if a coach said that about Kobe or Jordan, Like, oh,
Pippin's better than Jordan, you know, or shacks better than Kobe.
Do you think that'd be smart heading into a finals
(18:29):
Game two?
Speaker 1 (18:29):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (18:30):
I think it's a stupid move by Jason Kidd.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
I mean, I guess it's to force Tatum to do
a little bit extra, right, Like, isn't that the I
guess the plan is try to make him play out
of control? Like that's the move, right, basically is he's
trying to get Tatum to plan out of control. Maybe
he is worried about Jaylen Brown. Maybe he thinks Jaylen
Brown is better in this series and they can't guard him,
(18:56):
and so he'd rather Tatum take five more shots away
from from Jalen Brown.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
Yeah, But that's the thing is is that to your
benefit automatically?
Speaker 3 (19:06):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (19:07):
Like, why are we under selling Jason Tatum, a guy
who's been a three time All NBA first teamer. Why
would it automatically be And I'm not saying you're saying this,
Jeff Right, I'm just I'm just saying, like, why would
we assume it's automatically a good thing for Dallas that
Tatum shoots? More like the Tatum is a knockdown artist
(19:29):
and he's their best player. I know there have been
times during these playoffs that his shot hasn't been reliable,
but that's not been the case in totality. Yeah, and
I don't think it's going to be the case in
this series. So even if Tatum fires up a few
more shots and Brown doesn't, I don't know that it's
(19:49):
automatically better for Dallas if that's the case.
Speaker 4 (19:52):
Yeah, I mean it probably isn't. So that's why again,
Like the curiosity of him going this direction is certainly interesting,
but I think it's just for the mind game factor.
He's just trying to find a different way for this
game to be talked about. Maybe it it removes the
talk about the way they've played or what they're preparing
(20:14):
for when you're talking about whether Jaylen Brown is the
best player or not, could certainly be some sort of
mind trick that way. Maybe he's telling his team like,
guys like you better guard Jaylen Brown, say he's the
best player. I mean, there's many reasons why he could
have gone this direction. So yeah, I mean, it will
(20:34):
be stupid if Tatum ends up with forty points tonight.
You know, it's really bad. The other fact of this
game that I'm sort of curious about and why I
think the over is interesting play tonight, okay, is they
let a lot of hard fouls go in game one,
like a lot of contact, and they don't typically do
(20:54):
that from game to game, and the NBA, like we
typically will see a different referee game when that happens. Like,
could you see a game with a lot of a
lot of fouls? I think we can, And that obviously
would leave some more foul shots and that actually keeps
the game closer, especially if they give Lucas some of
those calls he wants. They just let a lot go
in this game. It was very they just it was physical.
(21:16):
Put it like that.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I hear you, Man, I just don't
know because since the All Star Break to where we
are right now, it's changed completely.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
There are no ticki tac files.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
You have to basically collabor a dude, for the officials
to be like, I guess I have to call a
foul right now, you know, so I hear you.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
Trust me, I do.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
But based on how the playoffs have been officiated, and
really the second half of the season altogether, they just
let a lot go.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
And scoring has been down.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
There have been a lot of unders after the All
Star Game that have hit, and the playoffs are no different.
Speaker 3 (21:55):
So I don't know.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
I think that sometimes Game one, especially in the finals,
it gets off to a slower start scoring wise, so
you might see the scoring pickup. But man, I don't
expect a whole lot of tiki tac files being called tonight.
It's just not what the officials have done the second
half of the season.
Speaker 4 (22:12):
It was such a it was such a frenetic pace
earing that game too, and then the defense at Boston
played with at the rim Man was was was impressive.
But that that's a thing. I'm curious how Dallas counters
act because we know that a lot of their offense
in the postseason. Not a lot to take that back,
but they those lobs to the bigs were a big
part of what they've done this offseason, and Boston with
(22:34):
Porzingis especially, took that away from them. So does that
does that equal Luca to shoot the ball a little
bit more to kind of instead of those lobs, And
he's taken shots. I've wagered a lot in this game.
I'm probably done. I think I'm doing too much. I'm
not gonna add Luca uh and I and I can't
use the app so I can't do those like fun
you know, adjusted line parlays, you know you put like Luca.
(22:55):
I would love to do like a Luca Kyrie Tatum,
like over a to you know, points to parlay, but
he didn't do that anymore. Right, I think Luca has
the potentially have a big game tonight. I actually think
he plays better when we hear he's like fifty to fifty,
like he's a knee injury up right, He's gonna play great.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
Today, Right, Yeah, he's been downgraded to questionable because of
a thoracic contusion.
Speaker 3 (23:17):
And you're like, oh, pound the over.
Speaker 4 (23:19):
Thirty five thirty five thirteen and eleven for him in
this game.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
It seems like that in game also, where it's like, man,
he is just waddling up and down the court noticeably limping,
and it's like, now's the time to hammer the overs.
Speaker 3 (23:35):
Yeah, and it just doesn't responds that way.
Speaker 4 (23:38):
He just crazy, he seems to do that. I think
the most important player to night is Kyrie. He shot
didn't shoot very well in Game one. He missed a
lot of open shots, and he also just dribbled the ball.
Was like a couple of times. He certainly looked like
(23:58):
the moment it's strong to say the moment was too big,
but he just it was maybe emotionally overwhelmed playing in Boston,
you know, like he tried to do too much. Put
it like that, and he made a lot of mistakes
that unforced airs they had not made previously. Maybe he
could claim that some of that I was was a defense,
certainly possible. But you know, Drew Holliday was was primarily
on Luca for you know, decent part of that game.
(24:20):
You know, it wasn't just Drew Holiday on Kyrie. If
Kyrie gives him twenty five to thirty tonight, this game
is really close in the end.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
Yeah, and he probably he definitely responds, I can't have
him over.
Speaker 4 (24:32):
I have him over in points tonight. I think he responds,
is this the.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
Way he ended up? Was like twelve in game.
Speaker 4 (24:37):
Wins, I did three three for nineteen like something. It
was from from three point line.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
And it was weird too, because he started off well.
He had his first couple of shots he had won
where there were two there was like Al Horford and
I forget who the other defender was. They both nearly
blocked his shot and he made it falling away. It
was a beautiful shot, and then he was freaking terrible
from that point on.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
It was weird, your boy Horford.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
They also did shoot a lot of corner threes in
this game. Boston took away the corner threes in game one.
I'm curious if they get back to some of the
corner threes. You know PJ. Washington, Jones and the Jones
in the corner as well. You know, I always feel
after a loss, and especially this I fis went football too,
like you know, the loser has to make more adjustments.
They have the advantage of making the adjustments right because
(25:21):
you know they the one their game plan did not
work out, Boston knows the adjustments that they're going to make,
I would imagine, But you know, the advantage early on
I think as to the MAVs is they they have
a better plan of attack. And again I don't think
Portzingits has you know, seventeen first half points in this game,
which is a huge benefit to Boston. And lastly two
(25:42):
is Boston gonna have that five six minute stretch where
they just look terrible. Yeah, if you do that when
the game is tied and now the game is a
fifteen point lead for the Mavericks, it's a lot different
than when you're up twenty one points and it goes
down to fifteen and that was a bad beat for me,
my friend on the other the third quarter the other.
But like, if they do that when they're tied, now
(26:02):
it's a fifteen point game, right right, If they do
that when they're up fifteen, if not as bad, so
that they're gonna have a period tonight where they do that.
So that's what this game is so fun, the adjustments
back and forth. Man, I'm looking forward to it.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
I am too.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
I'm also looking forward to Moncey Bolanos, who is with
us today Moncey with the latest while not wearing her
clipper gear.
Speaker 3 (26:24):
No, not today.
Speaker 5 (26:25):
I mean, you're right, Jeff, Like every other day I'm
wearing like a clipper.
Speaker 3 (26:27):
Sure, it just happened to be today. I'm not. And
you know, I don't.
Speaker 5 (26:31):
I know I'm small, but I normally don't feel small,
like I'm so used to it. But Jeff, you're like, man,
everyone's small next to you.
Speaker 4 (26:38):
Yeah, that's the way it works.
Speaker 3 (26:40):
Yeah, do you feel like.
Speaker 5 (26:41):
That or are you just so used to it? Are
you like me, like I'm just so used to being short.
Speaker 4 (26:45):
Yeah, I'm not used to it. I'm used to it.
The thing that's weird is if someone's taller than me,
and then it's like I'm like, who are you and
why are you? But when you look down and look
look up to you. One of my good buddies is
six ' ten. He played basketball in Israel and Sweden,
and like it's weird when he's home, because when he's
home back in Charlotte, because my kids are even like
(27:05):
his name is Jeff two, Like Jeff is taller than you,
that's weird, Dad, how tall I'm six six and a half.
Speaker 5 (27:13):
No, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you're you're real tall, like
actual tall, yes, actual, you.
Speaker 3 (27:17):
Know, not when people are like I'm tall, No, you're.
Speaker 4 (27:19):
I have official yea combine numbers for.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
Sure, Yes, for sure. But it's good to have you.
Speaker 4 (27:25):
It's still glad to be it's nice. It's it looks nice. Yeah,
I'm glad to be here.
Speaker 5 (27:29):
The last time you were here, which was a couple
of what maybe two years ago, we were over there.
Speaker 3 (27:33):
Yeah yeah, so but yes, it's nice to have you.
Uh luka.
Speaker 5 (27:36):
Doncic has arrived to the game. Fella's Game one. He
came in a three piece suit. I don't know if
you saw that. So today he's walking in. He's wearing
some khaki pants and a Nike shirt and on the
back of the shirt it says be more prepared than
anyone else.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
So a completely different approach.
Speaker 4 (27:52):
I'm waging on overs right now.
Speaker 5 (27:55):
He's got a coffee cup in his hand. He seems
real cash as he's getting to work for game two. Again,
a three piece suit in game one, so definitely a
different approach. Let's check in on baseball. We've got the
Astros and the Angels tied at three apiece. Bottom of
the fifth inning is about to start in La the
Blue Jays with the lead over the A's two to
one top of the seventh inning, and the Diamondbacks all
(28:16):
over the Padres eight to three top of the fourth inning.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
The Mariners edge the Royals six five and ten innings.
Speaker 5 (28:21):
Tulio Rodriguez had a two RBI single to start that
tenth inning. The Twins beat the Pirates eleven to five
and ten innings as well. Minnesota scored seven runs in
that tenth inning, and another game went to extra innings
between the Red Sox and the White Sox. I thought
the White Sox were gonna have a three game winning streak,
but the Red Sox pulled it out in ten innings.
Speaker 3 (28:39):
Sixty four was the final score.
Speaker 5 (28:41):
And it all started in London today with the Mets
beating the Phillies six to five, and the Cardinals they won.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
They beat the rockety five won. Yeah, good take that,
he says.
Speaker 5 (28:50):
In the NFL, Darren Waller has informed the Giants that
he is retiring from the league, something that many people
were expecting. Max Verstappen won the Canadian Grand Prix. He
has won fifty of the last seventy five races in
Formula one. Carlos Akraaz I know, defeated Alexander Zvedev in
the French Open in five sets, twenty one years old,
the youngest ever to win a major on all three surfaces.
(29:13):
He won the US Open hard courts, Wimbledon grass courts,
French Open clay courts. And let's check in on Scotty
Scheffler because I care about your betty, check.
Speaker 3 (29:22):
Care about your betting. I hope you make money.
Speaker 5 (29:24):
He's still in the lead nine hunder par overall, but
he's won over for the day through sixteen holes.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
Slipped out. Moncey on fifteen lipped out. It was so
bad he covered his mouth. He's like, oh my gosh,
how did that not go in that sort of thing. Yeah,
we needed that to go in Monsey. We only needed
one birdy. After that, we're chasing two birdies.
Speaker 3 (29:45):
Now you're chasing too. Yeah, I mean he's in the lead.
Speaker 5 (29:49):
Colin Morikawa is two shots back. He is also through
sixteen holes on the day.
Speaker 6 (29:55):
Back to you guys, all right, appreciate Yeah, you know,
my luck thought he might eagle seventeen and then bogie
eighteen where he just finishes even for the day.
Speaker 3 (30:05):
You know, I can see that happen.
Speaker 4 (30:07):
We need Monty to start betting. It feels like she's
really behind.
Speaker 3 (30:10):
Oh man, I think it could be you know, like
it could be a web series. You know, it's literally
it should just be Moncey reacting to her bets, either
hitting or barely missing. That would be unbelievably entertaining. Feel
like I would. It would become a problem.
Speaker 4 (30:28):
You would see you you would, I haven't. I haven't
known you that longway. I feel like you would be
an emotional bet on your You cannot bet on your teams, Yeah, no,
it's one thing, Like you cannot bet in your teams.
Speaker 3 (30:40):
So no Clippers bet no Clippers, No.
Speaker 4 (30:42):
No Dodgers bets like and better under the World series
anyways is a waste of money. So like you throw
that out. So but besides that, like you you just
you can't bet on your favorite teams. I got something
about it, right, Brian, Like you just you just unless
you unless you're like they're so you're the White Sox
fan right now, you're like they're so bad? Yeah, going
that brings me happiness? Is against them? Okay fine? Yeah, right,
Like you can't like bet on the irish of your
(31:04):
like I don't bet an Organ football, and so I
think they're gonna win the game by a lot, like
they're you know, they're favored by twenty one.
Speaker 3 (31:09):
That's Colorado. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (31:10):
I got bet on Organ to beat Colorado, like I
thought they were gonna be by a lot, and they did.
Like you just otherwise, just stay away from your favorite.
I don't bet on the Chiefs probably often, you know,
in a seventeen game season, two or three times a season.
You just stay away from the teams you like.
Speaker 2 (31:24):
MONSI here's a quick story just made me think of it.
So we were in Mississippi, right, We're doing our remote
there right for countdown to kickoff, and so we had
this I don't know, Jeff, right, like a five.
Speaker 3 (31:38):
Leg parlay or something like that.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, And so we had the Bengals in
the first half and they're playing at home, so they're
probably like minus two and a half something like that, right, Jeff.
And so it came down to the very end of
the first half. Yeah, and the Chiefs got to stop
like inside on fair five yard line.
Speaker 3 (32:01):
Yeah. The Bengals are going for it on fourth.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
Down, and I'm like, oh, just kick the field goal
and we're good, they're going for it.
Speaker 3 (32:06):
We could get screwed here.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
And the Chiefs make this stop and stonewall the Bengals
and immediately I'm thinking, oh, our bet loses and Jeff,
based on his chief's history, he dies like a tiger
woods fist pump like yeah, and I'm like.
Speaker 3 (32:23):
What do you mean?
Speaker 4 (32:24):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (32:24):
We lose? What are you doing to us? In our
parlay here? He got he for a second, forgot for
a second.
Speaker 4 (32:31):
It won zero wagers. That weekend in the city, they
took us for some money fun time though I've never
been lucky before, but and Crack took us to dinner.
That was a lot of fun. That lady that remember,
she yes, she certainly. What did you do? Forced her
husband to buy her like a neck question? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (32:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
So this this lady comes up to Jeff We're about
to have dinner, and she's like, are you Jeff Schwartz?
You know, did you play for the Giants before? And
Jeff was like, yeah, I did, And she's like, because
I recognize faces, And Jeff thinks that based on the
conversation she overheard, she gathered that it was Jeff Schwartz
(33:14):
who played for the Giants and she got like a
diamond necklace or something crazy.
Speaker 4 (33:18):
Like said she bet her husband like a necklace that
she knew who I was. I'm one hundred per certain
that she overheard us talking to the owner about like
you know who we were and why we were in
town and stuff, because there's there's just no way that
I'm not like famous, Like there's no way that someone
I didn't tweet that I was going there, Like there's
no like reason for them to know who I was.
(33:40):
I look like every other white offensive lineman.
Speaker 5 (33:42):
Like you're always righting a helmet, Like it's different, you're
always righting in a helmet.
Speaker 4 (33:46):
And again like I don't look any different than other
mostly white offensive lineman. Like there's no way she knew
she knew. And it was like seven years after I retired.
I would I wasn't a super Bowl or I didn't
do anything cool, Right, there's no way she knew who
I was.
Speaker 3 (33:58):
Major props to that lady. Then it was super We're smart,
he I mean, yeah, that is that is savvy to
get a necklace over just overhearing conversations.
Speaker 2 (34:09):
You know, I think it's a lesson for all of us.
You know, just listen to some conversations.
Speaker 3 (34:13):
Trust me. I'm like, can I get a diamond necklace?
Speaker 5 (34:16):
Ony?
Speaker 2 (34:17):
Use it to your personal benefit? All Right, we got
lots going on over here. He's Jeff Schwartz. I'm Brian No.
We're live from the Tirack dot Com studios. Coming up next.
According to Monsey, a minimum of three strong stances, either
in sports or beyond that is on the way. Hang
with us right here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app. Search FSR to
listen live.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
This is Fox Sports Radio. He's Jeff Schwartz. I'm Brian No.
We're lying from the Tirack dot Com studios here and
we are diving straight into this.
Speaker 3 (34:59):
Let's go now, it's time for absolutely that's it's not
gonna be pre according to MONSI, I love it, okay.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
According to Manci, just because you can do something doesn't
mean you should.
Speaker 3 (35:13):
That is right.
Speaker 5 (35:14):
Stop micing up players, stop talking to them in the
middle of a game.
Speaker 3 (35:22):
On Friday night, Apple TV was broadcasting Game one between
the Dodgers and the Yankees in New York.
Speaker 5 (35:27):
KI Key Hernandez was miked up while playing third base,
not the outfield.
Speaker 3 (35:31):
He wasn't in the dugout.
Speaker 5 (35:32):
He wasn't off to the side third base. The Apple
TV crew starts to talk to Key k and ask
him questions.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
In the middle of a.
Speaker 5 (35:40):
Question of ball is hit to Keik and what happens?
He mishandles it, He fumbles it. He doesn't get the out,
which would have been a routine out. He doesn't get it.
Speaker 3 (35:47):
Because he got distracted. Better for real, who thought of this?
Speaker 5 (35:52):
Let's stop micing up the players and let them play
because it does nothing.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
It brings nothing to me, right.
Speaker 4 (35:58):
It wasn't. It wasn't that they were talking to him.
It's that they talked to him like they were like, oh, well,
we'll catch after a play, like during the play.
Speaker 3 (36:08):
Right exactly.
Speaker 5 (36:09):
Quiet to just be quiet, right, Like if you're gonna
mike somebody up, I get it, we're gonna make up.
Maybe Jason Tatum tonight to hear what he's saying. But
you're not talking to him. You're not bothering him in
the middle of his job. Let the players play and concentrate.
Listening to a player answer a question in the middle
of the game does nothing for the fans.
Speaker 3 (36:28):
Just because you can do it doesn't mean you should.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
According to Monsey.
Speaker 4 (36:33):
Not all ideas are good ideas.
Speaker 3 (36:35):
Oh I know, right, and that's for everybody. Uh. This
week another baseball one here. Phillies and Mets played in London.
Speaker 5 (36:42):
Dodgers, as I mentioned, finishing a three game series today
in the Bronx against the Yankees, a divisional rivalry, a
historic rivalry, and someone out there thought it was.
Speaker 3 (36:50):
A good idea to make merchandise with both teams on them.
Speaker 5 (36:55):
In London, they sold a jacket with both the Phillies
and Mets on it. The material looks atrocious and that's
not the most defensive part of the jacket. One sleeve
is Mets, the other sleeve is Phillies. Like, why who
would actually buy that?
Speaker 3 (37:10):
People from London?
Speaker 5 (37:11):
Great, Ye, we're not just calling them stupid, We're making
them look stupid because I just told you the material
looks absolutely awful. The Yankees rolled out a hat with
Judge and Otani's name on it, both of their names
right in.
Speaker 3 (37:24):
The front of the hat. What are we doing? I
get it. They're awesome. They're great? Are they? Teammates? All
of a sudden, Did I miss something? Make a pin,
make a mug, make something small, but like clothes, hats,
what are we doing?
Speaker 5 (37:37):
You would never see me wear a shirt that has
the Clippers and the Lakers on it. Not ever, not once.
I don't care. Last year the Dodgers had the Yankees
in town. We hosted the Yankees, and I have a
little pin and it says like the series and it's great.
That's all I took from there. Why would you make
merchandise and clothes when there's.
Speaker 3 (37:55):
Rivalries between two teams? It makes no sense. Somebody approved this, guys,
somebody approved it.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
This take by you. These are arrivals from the same division. Yes,
this is the only time it makes sense. The market
is if you're like Mamma Kelsey and one of your
son's plays for the Eagles, the other place for the Chiefs.
That's your market. It is a mom with sons on
both teams. That's it, right.
Speaker 4 (38:16):
You should find a fan. The the what like the
Daily Mirror, is that the paper in London, Daily Mail
should go find we go find the fan who bought
this jacket and them and.
Speaker 3 (38:28):
Then they're gonna come to the US. And before I'm gonna.
Speaker 5 (38:30):
Be like boom, We're gonna be like I didn't know.
Speaker 3 (38:34):
This was Philly once once and for both of those
fan bases. You're getting booed by both fan bases. There's
no game here, there's no winning. And again, guys, look
up the jacket. It looks atrocious, like the material just
looks awful.
Speaker 5 (38:49):
Anyway, Yes, not all good ideas are not all ideas
are good ideas.
Speaker 3 (38:52):
According to Monsey, MLB should have interpreters at all times.
Speaker 5 (38:57):
Okay, so this happened two weeks ago, and it really
bothers me. I'm sure you all heard the story. Jorge
Lopez a picture for the Mets. He gets ejected from
the game, throws a glove into the air after he
gets asked a couple questions, and it's like, did he
say that he.
Speaker 3 (39:10):
Was the worst player on the worst team?
Speaker 5 (39:12):
Was even asked to double down after I'm gonna play this.
Speaker 3 (39:15):
For you just to clarify, what would you say, just
because I didn't fully understand you say I'm on the
worst team?
Speaker 4 (39:21):
Is that? Is that what you had said?
Speaker 3 (39:24):
Probably you Look, he still doesn't even know the question.
Speaker 5 (39:28):
He still doesn't even know what was asked of him,
and he was dragged through the mud. This poor guy,
after the fact came out and was like, there was
a language barrier. Yes, of course there's something different from
conversational English to Spanish.
Speaker 3 (39:40):
As somebody who speaks both languages.
Speaker 5 (39:42):
It's not as easy as you think, the conversational aspect
of it, right, And he came out and said that, like,
he was offered an interpreter by the Mets, but he
turned it down because he's never needed one and he
didn't want to come off like all of a sudden
he needed one. It is the responsibility of baseball because
of how many Latin players are on every team, you
should just have an interpreter around at all times. Not
that they're going to follow the players, but in this situation,
(40:04):
if somebody was around listening, they could have stepped.
Speaker 3 (40:06):
In and been like, oh, you didn't understand what the
question was.
Speaker 5 (40:09):
Let's avoid this big, you know, blow up of a
problem that became or because we didn't have an interpreter.
MLB needs to have just an interpreter at all times
on every team, just to be around, just to be around.
Speaker 4 (40:21):
Don't think they don't have that.
Speaker 5 (40:22):
They don't have them on So he was asked to
have if he wanted one and he turned it down.
Speaker 3 (40:26):
That's and he said that you.
Speaker 4 (40:28):
Mean like they just someone who's just there there there.
Uh huh, that makes sense.
Speaker 3 (40:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (40:33):
I will say though, a lot of players speak good
enough English that use interpreters because it's.
Speaker 3 (40:39):
Kind of funny to be funny, like yes, like are.
Speaker 4 (40:41):
Telling me shoho Tani has been a big leag dugout
like seven years, knows no English whatsoever. I always.
Speaker 3 (40:47):
It's true, very well done, monci uh.
Speaker 2 (40:50):
Coming up next, it's a list that is despicable. Oh man,
this list is freaking awful. We will detail it here
in just a bit. We are broadcasting live from the
tire rack dot Com studios tire rack dot com. We'll
help get you there an unmatched selection, fast, free shipping,
free road hazard protection, and over ten thousand recommended installers.
(41:11):
Tire rack dot com the way tire buying should be.
So I think this is our guy Russ that texted
us this list here, Jeff, so shout out to acts right.
Russ does a great job. And it was a list
from Kelly in Vegas. So Kelly covers betting and great
(41:34):
you know she knows her stuff. But every now and
then we all get stuff wrong. This would be an
example of that. She has her NFL quarterback rankings. Jeff,
this list, Holy hell, it's I don't know where to begin.
Let's start with Patrick Mahomes or anything. Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 4 (41:53):
I saw the list. It's just it has to be
Kelly wanting to give us up to talk about it.
Speaker 3 (42:00):
I guess that's the only way it would makes sense. Eighth, Yeah, your.
Speaker 4 (42:07):
Boy, your boy, skinny Tua seven. Yeah, can we talk
for that Tua? I mean he's a liking slim an
ad frozemic. I don't know, he looks he looks really good.
He's his face was unrecognizable if you if you told
me that that was someone else. But oh yeah, that
makes total sense. It's not too uh. And then Katid
(42:28):
Williams on her list is thirty eighth.
Speaker 2 (42:31):
Thirty sixth dead last on her list here, Yeah, she's
got a couple of teams with both quarterbacks listed, but
thirty sixth she's got Caleb Williams. Like first, seriously, she's
got Sam Howell ranked a couple of spots ahead of
Caleb Williams. You could just real quick, who does Sam
Howell play for? You know it's not Washington anymore.
Speaker 4 (42:54):
Oh good, good question. Yeah, Oh it's Seattle, right, Seattle.
Speaker 2 (42:59):
Yeah, it's back up over there. But that's what I
made it. You might not even know who he plays
for right now? Would you Jeff for this season? In
this season alone? Would you rather have Caleb Williams as
you're starting quarterback?
Speaker 3 (43:13):
Or Sam Howell? Who are you rolling with?
Speaker 5 (43:16):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (43:17):
Was on this list? T Keil just thirds last on
this list. I would roll with him over. Probably twenty
three is where Deshaun Watson is. But I mean, jeez,
and you have Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray Richardson, and Jameis Winston,
which is not even starting. Yeah, he's ahead of Jehaun
Watson's starting for quarterback the Browns. Michael Pennock's sixteenth not
(43:43):
going to play for three years, that the Falcons don't
want to play in for three years.
Speaker 3 (43:47):
She's got Michael Pennocks junior over Jalen Hurts.
Speaker 4 (43:50):
It must be. It must be just a troll thing.
It has to be right. There's there's no way Kelly
is is.
Speaker 2 (43:57):
There's no way I would hope this is some sort
of joke, you know, pun type thing, just getting conversation
started the last part of this. We have to we
have to skim up to the very top of the
list because she's got Lamar Jackson number one, she's got
Brock Party as the second best quarterback in the entire NFL.
(44:22):
What do you think about one two? The one two
combo over here? According to Kelly in Vegas.
Speaker 4 (44:28):
The Brock periity thing is is so fascinated because BARTI
he's gonna due for an extension after the season. Yeah,
and with the team they have, I mean, he could
have the exact same season, There's no doubt about it.
But I just don't know if I mean, you gotta
pay him fifty five million dollars a year?
Speaker 5 (44:45):
Man?
Speaker 4 (44:46):
Wow? Right, I mean that's what we're That's what we're
gonna get to eventually. Right when you when you after
you pay a tua, maybe Dat gets paid and then
you gotta you gotta pay Party. Yeah, Probaby's not second
best quarterback in the NFL. I think this is. You know,
it's one of those discussions that I think is always
difficult because you have to take into account the talent
(45:06):
around the player, right, it's part of your evaluation. If
you were just drafting quarterbacks from start, Mahomes would be one,
and I think Josh Allen would very firmly be two.
If you put Josh Allen on the Niners team and
they win the Super Bowl, like it's not even a question, right,
they'd be the favorites over Kansas, which I think they
actually were, funnily funny enough. I think they are a
favorite over Kansas City right now, which is again just
(45:28):
mind blowing to me. The Chiefs have won three last
four super Bowls and aren't the favorites three last five?
Speaker 2 (45:35):
Right?
Speaker 4 (45:35):
Three last five? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (45:36):
Three?
Speaker 3 (45:37):
What would it be?
Speaker 4 (45:38):
Yeah? Because in twenty the Bucks one and the Rams
one in twenty one, so three last five that they're not,
you know, the favorites. Josh Allen would be two. I
feel comforted about that, confident about that. Who three?
Speaker 3 (45:52):
Herbert? What the thing is? People feel really strongly about Burrow,
but he's banged up so.
Speaker 4 (45:58):
Much Burrow, I mean, Row is close to being on
the like injury perpetual injury.
Speaker 3 (46:07):
Watch it right right?
Speaker 4 (46:08):
You know, I saw a report last week that it
was this week, this time, you have the weeks we're
bringing to each other. He's getting a rest day every week.
In OTAs kind of early for that in your career.
Speaker 3 (46:22):
It is pretty early.
Speaker 4 (46:23):
Yeah, get rest day for a young quarterback? Yeah, I
that was alarming, right, I read that report. I was like,
why rest day ready at twenty twenty six, twenty six,
twenty seven.
Speaker 2 (46:41):
It's yeah, And that's the thing you think about training
camp last year.
Speaker 3 (46:44):
That's how he heard his calf.
Speaker 2 (46:46):
He's just running around in training camp and it's like,
is this guy going to be ready for the beginning
of the season. His own teammate Jamar Chase was like,
just don't have him start the beginning of the season.
Speaker 3 (46:56):
Just get him fully healthy.
Speaker 4 (46:59):
That's fair. He was sort of right, Like he didn't
play well the first you know, six weeks of the
season until I got he got healthier. Yeah, Burrow, I
think you take Herbert and I had a Burrow just
on traits alone.
Speaker 3 (47:16):
There, like Herbert is a durable guy.
Speaker 4 (47:19):
There's certainly a part of a Burrow's game that I
think you can't You can't have what you know, you
can't measure, which is like I think he's he If
I'm a Chiefs fan, right, if the Chiefs are playing
the Bengals, or really, which quarterback I am I'm most
(47:40):
worried about when the Checks playing them. Yeah, and Burrow
is probably one b behind Josh Allen. I'm never like
Justin Herbert is gonna win this game for the Chargers.
This is mostly because it's the Chargers, I think. I
think like that. I don't feel the way about Jalen
Hurtz or brock Party when they played. I feel that
(48:00):
way about Burrow. Like I am is a Chief fan,
I'm like, oh boy, yeah, Burrow's Burrow has the ball
down three, I expect them to move down the field.
And Josh Allen just because he's just a free show, right, So.
Speaker 2 (48:13):
I like that's how you look at it too, because
think about that related to Mahomes, like he would be
like freaking Mahomes is on the other team. We talked
about this in the Super Bowl there win against the
forty nine Ers where Mahomes got that final chance and
you're like, oh gosh, here we go, and of course
he got the job done, right, Like, there's no way
(48:34):
you can even come close to justifying him being eighth
on a quarterback rankings list.
Speaker 3 (48:40):
That's insane.
Speaker 4 (48:42):
He is one. I follow him and his family on
social media. I'll tell you when there is no one
living a better life. Man, he is, I gotta say,
like he is exactly living the life that sort of
a twenty twenty seven multiple time champion who's not like
a big he's not like a big hardcore like going
(49:03):
on and party guy. But I just I love it
so much. So he's just enjoying like concerts and MAVs games.
It's like what I would want to do if I
was that age and sort of live that life, Like,
Oh I can go to a concert, great, sit in
the box, fantastic, go court side for basketball games, sign
me up. Oh yeah, behind home, play for a baseball game.
Let's go like no bars, no clubs, like just sporting
(49:26):
events and concerts. I'm flying on private planes like oh
it's a dream man.
Speaker 2 (49:31):
It makes me think of something that you started off saying,
where if you look at Tua losing all this weight,
Lamar has slimmed down.
Speaker 4 (49:40):
I don't like it, but you can get to that
in a second.
Speaker 2 (49:41):
I don't want Yeah, it's like, but you saw Mahomes
court side for a MAVs game in the playoffs, and
that dude is thick. I look at Mahomes like, did
he put on more weight. And I understand you don't
have to do everything the same way Mahomes does it.
But I think that Lamar, who was durable throughout the
entire season, and Tua lasted all seventeen games and a
(50:02):
playoff game, and now he's slimming down, like, I think
adding some weight helped in some capacity. It's just weird
that both of those guys, Lamar and Tua have had
injury problems in the past and they lasted all last
season being bulked up more than they are right now.
I don't understand the timing of slimming down.
Speaker 4 (50:23):
I guess I don't understand the purpose of it, right,
Like is it to I mean for Lamar, the idea
is that he's quicker now, a little bit.
Speaker 3 (50:31):
Quicker, right like this is Lamar jack?
Speaker 4 (50:34):
Is that like a concern of hers? Right, Lamar to
be quicker, buddy? It's like no, no, And then for
two again, like you're a Dolphins fan. I never thought
myself to it would be better if he lost five pounds, right, No,
I mean you better could throw the ball harder in
cold weather, that would.
Speaker 3 (50:51):
Be nice, That's right.
Speaker 4 (50:52):
Maybe losing the weight his arm strength gets better from
that I don't. I don't know. We won't know that
until obviously the December comes and they try a little
buffalo and we'll be able to tell a little bit better.
I don't really understand the need to lose this weight.
We'll say, though, Brian, when we start getting these stories,
Football's back, best shape of your life stories. It is back, man,
(51:14):
Everyone's everyone's in the best shape of their life right now,
and I just love it so much. We're gonna lose
this when they go to that dumb schedule they're gonna
they're gonna do next season life content. We're gonna lose.
Uh people charting o TA throws daily, We're gonna lose.
Speaker 2 (51:30):
Don't forget the one handed catches. Oh yeah, VIDI I
live for those alerts. Oh my gosh, we have a
one handed catch.
Speaker 4 (51:37):
The holdouts that don't mean anything. We're gonna lose all
of this, all because the PA wants to have a
win when it comes to when it comes to the
CBA negotiations. I look the weight loss thing. Look, I'm
obviously absolutely in favor of anyone getting the best shape
of they can. But again, the reasoning, I don't really
know what the reason is for those.
Speaker 2 (51:58):
I don't either. I think that well. Two things. I
think Lamar is staying healthy. It has mostly to do
with decision making. When he runs. Sometimes he just takes
punishment and he just he shouldn't. He should slide, he
should get out of bounds, just don't try to bowl
over the strong safety, right, it's just not smart at
times he's guilty of that. And with Tua, it's just
(52:18):
get rid of the freaking ball man. There have been
times before when he got hit against the Bills a
couple of years ago and he's staggering around. They said
it was a back injury. He's just holding onto the
ball way too long. So I think it's more so
that than any weight loss or weight gain. But with Tua,
I still don't get it for either guy. Lamar is
(52:38):
plenty fast, plenty quick. I don't get it from that perspective.
And Tua he is not this athletic quarterback that uses
his legs a lot and this is going to add
a dimension to his game. He's just not that guy,
and that's fine. I don't see how slimming down helps
him at all.
Speaker 4 (52:54):
And then they got and then you got Dad Bob
Mahomes's living his best with this drinking beer on the
court side, like like.
Speaker 3 (53:02):
The John Daily of quarterbacks over there.
Speaker 4 (53:05):
That far he's not it's not smoking heaters on the.
Speaker 3 (53:08):
I think he's a step away. I think it's a
step away from heaters and like zoobaz pants or something.
Speaker 4 (53:13):
You know. I'm tell me, look, I you could follow
his workouts. He's training to Bobby post them all the time.
He's not doing nothing right and he's very clearly working
out to thing about heaters. Who is the lady on
the page on the LPGA tour that just smokes heaters
in the middle of talking about no there's a there's
a uh and she just smokes heaters in the middle
(53:36):
of of uh of Charlie Hall Okay, yeah, she she
just uh she's decided that she was gonna stop vaping
and she's gonna smoke instead. That takes more work to
smoke than does vape. And in the middle of the
US Women's open like a whole seven, she just was
smoking a sick Wow. Okay, look at it, dude, it
(53:58):
is You need to this up. It's it's kind of
it's it's wild, like you just don't see this in
sports now where athletes are just ripping SIGs in the
middle of the sporting contest.
Speaker 2 (54:08):
Man, oh man, I wonder which quarterback would do that?
You know, right, who's crazy enough to do something?
Speaker 4 (54:14):
We do that right now? I mean the most like
on the Lynn Dawson photo. Just I think it's the
best movie, the best photo of all time, where he's
he's doing he's ripping a sig with a glass Gatorade bottle,
I believe, yeah, yeah, who would smoke SIGs? What quarterbacks
would would smoke SIGs?
Speaker 2 (54:31):
Maybe Aaron Rodgers I could see him doing something so quirky,
right right, I don't know that he smokes at all,
but if anyone were to do it, I could see
it being.
Speaker 4 (54:39):
Rogers doing it. What about like a MAT's on Matt Stafford.
Speaker 3 (54:44):
I'm use you know minshew, right, yeah.
Speaker 4 (54:50):
She would. Oh my god, are you watching this college
baseball game right now?
Speaker 5 (54:55):
No?
Speaker 3 (54:56):
What do we got going on?
Speaker 4 (54:57):
So it was, uh, it was nine to six. Florida
was a nine to six at Clemson. They're up in
the series one nothing. The Clemson Tuckers hit a three
run home one and the top of thing to tie
it in nine to nine. Florida's the home team again
bottom ten runners on first and second, two outs. I
(55:18):
think that's the same kid who hit the home runs
in center field and made a Willie May's catch jumping
into the wall okay to end the inning. And dude,
incredible catch like in the like willing over the shoulder,
jumping cradle the balls he hit the wall.
Speaker 3 (55:38):
I'll tell you what this is.
Speaker 2 (55:39):
The gambler in me is I love when you get
an automatic win on an over bet I took the other.
Some of these college baseball totals are high, like an
in game, it very well could have been eighteen and
a half. And if you hit the over on that
and it's tied nine to nine, you're like, I win
no matter what happens, I'm a winner already. That's a
beautiful thing.
Speaker 4 (56:00):
The under in this game, unfortunately, but I have over
in the next game, which which happens. But dude, this
catch is unbelievable. College baseball's I think, just like college
softball has sort of had like a come up recently.
I think social media plays a big role in this,
plus nil and just the ability and like players being
more visible, and also college baseball they have fun you know, yeah,
(56:23):
and fun sells like fun who you watch games, It's
not like Major League baseball. If you bat flip, you know,
the next pitch goes to someone's back, right Like here,
dudes are bat flipping and throwing bats and on the
ground after big plays and you know, coming out of
the dugout on big home runs and it's it's just
a lot of fun, man.
Speaker 3 (56:43):
It is fun.
Speaker 2 (56:44):
The crazy thing about betting on college baseball is like
in the Super Regionals, it was just like unders unders
unders unders, and now the scoring is plenty up, but
it's just the squird mixture liberal strike zones. Jeff, I
don't know how many times I see pitches well outside
the zone and they're just like strike did you like?
Speaker 3 (57:05):
Okay, that favors the under right there.
Speaker 2 (57:06):
And then you'll have, you know, you get these huge
innings with these aluminum bats, and you're like, I was
on the under last night.
Speaker 3 (57:13):
I don't remember which game. I think it was a
Kentucky game, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (57:15):
The one it was ten nothing. That strike zone last
night was huge, huge. Roxy Bernstein is calling the games
for ESPN. I I've worked with them a bunch and
good buddy of mine. I text them a game, like, Bro,
what's with the strike zone? His answer was they were consistent,
which he was. But I mean the zone last night
was easily like a ball off the plate. I mean
(57:36):
it was Eric Greg would be proud. It was ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (57:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (57:39):
So yeah, if you're on the over and the umpires.
Speaker 3 (57:44):
Just like strike three, you're like that was is it
even closing?
Speaker 4 (57:48):
And by the way, the over almost ten was ten? Nothing?
Speaker 3 (57:50):
I know.
Speaker 2 (57:51):
Well that's the thing, man, I had the under. They
just had that one big inning, Like, couldn't get out
of that inning. All right, We've got a lot to
do here. Coming up next, We've got another controversy, Jeff,
with one of the least controversial athletes.
Speaker 3 (58:04):
I explained. Yes, he's Jeff Schwartz. I'm Brian Know.
Speaker 2 (58:08):
We are live from the tierrack dot Com studios here
on Fox Sports Radio. It is Fox Sports Radio. We're
live from the Tirack dot Com studios. He's Jeff Schwartz.
I'm Brian Know. So we've got the latest controversy here
with Caitlin Clark.
Speaker 3 (58:23):
Here, Jeff, no Olympic team.
Speaker 2 (58:26):
She will not be in Paris as a member of
the US women's basketball team. And this is this sounds
made up? It doesn't even sound real. But Christine Brennan,
who does a great job for USA Today, she wrote
(58:47):
that there were two sources. They're both longtime US basketball
veterans for decades. They've got decades of experience in the
women's game, right, and they told USA Today that concern
over how now Clark's millions of fans would react to
what would likely be limited playing time on a stacked
roster was a factor in the decision making. That's the theory.
(59:11):
And if that's true, like you would say, what are
we doing? What are You're gonna leave Caitlin Clark off
the Olympic team because there might be some criticism that
she isn't getting more playing time.
Speaker 3 (59:23):
If people complain, they complain.
Speaker 2 (59:25):
Man, do what's best for won the roster and to
the women's game. If you have her on the squad
and she grows the game even more with more notoriety,
more presence, that that's great for the WNBA and women's
basketball as a whole.
Speaker 3 (59:39):
This is a total swing in a miss all right.
Speaker 4 (59:41):
So I'm looking at the Olympic record for the US
women's basketball team. Yeah, nineteen ninety six, A no two
thousand and eight, two thousand and four, A no. Eight
guess what A no? Twenty twelve eight no, twenty sixteen
eight No. And remember the game's got moved, right, So
(01:00:02):
we're the twenty one six and zero point differential. You ready,
Brian plus two twenty nine plus one seventy four plus
one ninety plus three oh one plus two seventy five
plus two ninety eight plus one sixteen. I think Kennan
Clark would have played a little bit of those games.
I think she'd I think she'd find a way in
the game. Look, I am I am fully on board
(01:00:23):
with the idea that you have to earn an Olympic spot, right,
and but the earning of Olympic spot, okay, is different
for everyone. You can earn the opportunity to be this
because you're the best player, right. You can earn it
because you have ten year and they want your leadership, right,
(01:00:46):
Or you can earn it by being the most popular
player in the world. Yeah, and I I it feels
like it's an easy win to put her on the team.
I guess there's the thing about it is like who
you take off the team I think is like part
(01:01:07):
of the scuss. I don't. I don't have the great
answer for that.
Speaker 2 (01:01:09):
Diana Tarassi, she's gonna turn forty two, get her out
of there. She's won multiple gold medals.
Speaker 4 (01:01:13):
It's her, it's her, it's her fit sixteen. That's and
people put up the stats and showed that the kiln
Clarks actually having a better year than than Tarassie. That's
what That would be really funny if if she's the
one who has taken off of the list to h
off of the team after her comments about Kaitlyn Clark.
Speaker 3 (01:01:28):
Oh, that would be great. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:01:29):
Yeah, here's the thing about Kaylyn Clark. I we were
texting about this other night, like I took her over.
I don't know if you tailed me on that idea. Yeah, yeah,
And she went way over. Their schedule was so grueling.
They played eleven games I think in twenty days. It
was an intense schedule start the season. She doesn't. I
think she has no more back to backs the rest
of the year, and so she's gonna play much better
(01:01:51):
the back half of the season, and you're gonna look
up and she's gonna be averaging over twenty points a
game and then not be in the Olympic team after
the most being the most popular player right in the WNBA. Like,
that's to me, is swinging a miss. And I understand
that you want to have players that have earned her
on the court, But you play Caitlyn Clark in for
eight to twelve minutes at the end of these games,
(01:02:12):
just have her hoist up three pointers. You're gonna have
people watch these entire games for Kilvin Clark. Like they're
gonna watch the entire first half of like where's Kevin Clark?
They're gonna watch a lot last eight minutes of a
game you've being Slovenia one hundred to twenty seven. They're
gonna watch Kailin Clark just hoist up threes for two
and a half minutes straight, you know, Like I think
it's a mistake to not put her on. I get
(01:02:32):
the counter argument, Brian about, hey, she hasn't earned it yet,
but she has earned it because she's the most popular player,
and sometimes that's all you need to earn it is
to have the popularity to be on the team. Maybe
it's not fair, Brian, but she most popular player in
the WNBA right now, and just it's her first season.
I know players present that we've talked about this many times.
(01:02:53):
There's a little jealousy, a little resentment. Oh yeah, but
you gotta have her on the team. That's really it's
a really big missed opportunity to grow your game. But
not having her on the.
Speaker 2 (01:03:03):
Team, well, I think that it's popularity with substance. It's
not only popularity, right, because it'd be one thing if
she was averaging four points a night and she didn't
have the numbers. When she's averaging more points, more rebounds,
way more assists than Diana Tarassi. And I know you're
not saying this. It isn't just the popularity, right, it's
(01:03:27):
the popularity coupled with she's playing better than Diana Tarassi.
Speaker 4 (01:03:32):
So she's almost at seventeen points a game, five rebound,
six assists and she hasn't played like that well right, right,
I don't know. I mean, if she played with this
Olympic team, should have ten assists a game easily.
Speaker 2 (01:03:48):
Well that's the thing where my mind goes, Jeff, is
this is going to be the latest controversy because she's
not on the team. Some players on the team or
are not on the team are going to weigh in
with their opinion of you know, whatever it's gonna be,
she hasn't earned it yet, so forth and so on.
Caitlin Clark was completely non dramatic. She was like, hey,
(01:04:10):
you know, it gives me something to shoot for. I
wasn't upset by it. I'm gonna be rooting for them
over there, you know what I mean. It was she
does everything to lessen any drama that's going on. And
that's what I find so fascinating about all these stories
where go back to the shove by Kennedy Carter and
that was all drama. Kennedy is like, I'm not answering
(01:04:32):
any Kaitlin Clark questions right after that, and then Angel rees,
she weighs in and it's just drama, drama, drama. Caitlyn's like, no,
I don't think she owes me an apology, just diminishing,
decreasing all the drama. Yet this is the latest installment
and it has nothing to do what she with, what
she's saying or doing. It's just drama follows her even
(01:04:52):
though she's not dramatic.
Speaker 4 (01:04:54):
It is interesting, how you know, Kaitlyn Clark is just
very bright. The way she's doing this right, it's a
very smart way to handle this. Oh, I don't have
social media. I don't hear what's happening. I like, it's
just she's very wise, beyond her her age to just
not engage this. It's it's a no win for her
(01:05:15):
to get in it back and forth with Angel rees
or any other one about the Olympics. It's just no
win for She's already popular. She's not going to get
more popular by by jabbing with Angel Reese and so.
And she's making herself very likable. And I think that
you know that that that's part of it as well.
It's just the way she handled this makes it a
(01:05:36):
ton of sense. And maybe, look, maybe it's a part
of her that would like a break this summer too.
And she's like, yeah, look I'll make all I'll make
the all sorts of the Olympic team in in you know,
in twenty eight. And I think that, you know, maybe
she's a little bit of her, because look, the grind
of a rookie season in sports, in all sports is
(01:05:56):
really really hard because a lot of times you go
right from your college sport to the draft to the season,
right like baseball, Right right now, we're watching college baseball.
These guys get drafted I think next week during the
College World Series, and then like they immediately go into
their short a season NFL players, Right, you're done with
your college season in July and you mean January. You
train for months and months combined pro days. You're drafted,
(01:06:20):
you go right to your right and then you play
for months and months. Right. If you're a WNBA player,
you play your college basketball season November to March. You
get drafted, you go right to training camp, and then
you go right to the season. And maybe some of
Kaelin Clark just wants to rest, and she's not actually
that disappointed she's not on the team.
Speaker 2 (01:06:37):
It could be, but whatever the case is, she's saying
things really, no.
Speaker 4 (01:06:44):
Matter how many jerseys she would have sold.
Speaker 3 (01:06:46):
Oh my gosh, it's yes and yes.
Speaker 4 (01:06:49):
Like and people have a hard time, like I guess
understanding why she's sometimes so popular. It's because she's fun
to watch, and it's kind of simple, right, Well, that's
the other thing, like logo threes, I don't know, kind
of fun to watch.
Speaker 2 (01:07:01):
That's the whole thing I keep coming back to is
I'll hear whatever fans or media members. There's a promo
with Colin with Colehard where he's talking about there's certainly
a racial component, denying that there is, but it's like,
let's not lose sight of why she's popular. When I
hear there's a racial component. Some of it at least
(01:07:23):
seems to point to, Hey, why is she so popular?
Speaker 3 (01:07:26):
Is it just because she's the great white hope? Yes?
Speaker 2 (01:07:29):
And it's like, like, let's walk through that for a second.
For anybody who hasn't gotten the same amount of shine.
Speaker 3 (01:07:36):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (01:07:37):
Did you pass Pistol Pete having the most points in
college basketball history?
Speaker 3 (01:07:41):
Oh, that's right, you didn't. You haven't, but she has.
So let's not act like it's just because she's white.
She's getting all this attention. It's ridiculous.
Speaker 4 (01:07:49):
Are you making logo threes?
Speaker 1 (01:07:51):
Right?
Speaker 4 (01:07:52):
The answer is no. And it's interesting too because there's
another player in the WNBA, who is Sabrina Escue for
she got to selected to her first Olympic team, who's
like shooting out of her mind too, and she doesn't
seem that upset about the lack of attention that she's
getting for her accomplishment. She's the fastest player for I
forgot how many three she's made. She's she's in all
(01:08:13):
sort of records for that. But like, you know, she's
she's fine with the with the you know, the attention
of being on Caitlin Clark so heavily. Taylorin Clark is
just fun to watch, man, I don't want to tell you.
When you watch Iowa basketball and she puts up forty
points and makes four or three pointers that are twenty
seven feet from the basket, No, no, it's more fun to
watch than Cameron Brink or Angel Reese and something against
(01:08:34):
those ladies. I watched camp. I covered Cameron Brink. It
would stand for four years. I was part of my
other radio job. We interviewed her, we interviewed their TARV
interview was like our number one guests we interviewed all
the time. She's a fantastic guess they're head coach. I
watched a ton of her play, and she's fantastic. She's
she's probably playing the best at any rookie right now.
But it's not this as exciting as watching Kaitlyn Clark play.
Speaker 2 (01:08:54):
Yeah, no, it's that's when I hear that, I'm like, man,
we can't make it sound like it's just skin color.
Why she's popular. That's just insane to me. We've got
Manzy Bolanos with us. I can fully understand her popularity
because she's awesome. She's just awesome. Okay, she's got the
latest for us. What's going on, Manzi?
Speaker 3 (01:09:12):
I agree with you, guys.
Speaker 5 (01:09:14):
I would have loved to have buy a Kaitlin Clark
USA jersey, just like I bought Alex Morgan's soccer jersey.
Speaker 3 (01:09:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:09:22):
By the way, mansey, if you buy a Caitlin Clark
practice jersey, yeah, you know the sponsor on it.
Speaker 3 (01:09:29):
Who's the sponsor? She's it? Oh, look at the Indiana
favorite practice.
Speaker 4 (01:09:34):
And one last thing too, is about the like my
kids know who she is, they don't know any other players.
They would enjoy watching her play in the Olympics.
Speaker 7 (01:09:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:09:43):
Absolutely, she has such a young fan base. Like it
really was a missed opportunity, It really was. Well, we
got some w NBA games going on right now and
they're in double overtime Mercury and Wings. Mercury on top
ninety three to eight eight, and the Liberty have handed
the Mystics another loss. The Mystics have yet to win
(01:10:06):
a game in the WNBA this season. Liberty win ninety
three to eighty eight. Sabrina Unescu, I do love her
nineteen points, six rebounds, eight assists, But it was John
Quell Jones of the New York Liberty twenty nine points
and eight rebounds in the victory. Scotti Scheffler won the
Memorial at eight under Parba Bryan.
Speaker 3 (01:10:23):
He was too over for the day, too over for
the day. And I get all these alerts. He's won again.
Speaker 1 (01:10:28):
He's for me.
Speaker 3 (01:10:30):
That's all I care about.
Speaker 5 (01:10:31):
Yeah, Yeah, Colin moricwa and been one shot back there.
And baseball, the Astros have taken the lead over the
Angels in La seven to five, bottom of the seventh inning,
extra innings in Oakland, with the Blue Jays now on
top of the A's six four bottom of the tenth inning,
the A's are down to their final out. The Diamondbacks
are beating the Padres in San Diego nine to three,
(01:10:54):
top of the eighth inning. Earlier today, in baseball, it
all started in London. The Mets beat the Phillies six ' five.
The Reds defeated the White Sox six four and ten innings.
The Cubs outscored the Reds four to two. The Rangers
beat the Giants seven to two to avoid the sweep,
while the Guardians defeated the Marlins sixty three and the
Tigers crushed the Brewers ten to two. The Nationals had
(01:11:14):
an eight to five win over the Braves. Have you
guys heard the like theory that baseball changes the balls
when they want?
Speaker 4 (01:11:20):
They're absolutely changed. I have today, I think, I said,
I think I sent Brian the video I had this.
I had the Cardinals in a game with the Rockies.
The balls right down the middle, guy smacks the ball.
The pitcher puts his head down like, oopsie, Yeah, ball's
four yards, four feet short of the fence. It's like,
what are we doing here?
Speaker 3 (01:11:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:11:38):
Like today, I was like, everyone is hitting every single ball.
Everybody has hits. I'm like man on a daylight.
Speaker 3 (01:11:44):
Today, it really doesn't make me wonder if they changed
the balls or not.
Speaker 5 (01:11:48):
Fellas, we're getting close to Game two of the NBA Finals.
Luka Doncic, who was listed as questionable today because of
that thoracic contusion along with the right knee spring and
left ankles, is that he's been dealing with. The latest
is that Jason Kidd is saying that they're basically going
to see how he feels after he warms up, and
they're going to make a decision. But obviously everyone's expecting
(01:12:09):
him to play against the Boston Celtics, and tip off
is at eight pm Eastern time. And yes, that Clemson
Florida game is still really intense. It is a tie game,
nine to nine, bottom of the eleventh inning with Florida
down to their final out, but they have a man
on first and second base.
Speaker 3 (01:12:28):
Back to you guys, I'm.
Speaker 2 (01:12:29):
Watching this right here, mantci Jan. I don't know what
happened to the cameras. I don't know if you guys
have the same.
Speaker 4 (01:12:35):
I think going on, other cameras are down.
Speaker 3 (01:12:37):
It's just behind home blade like, well, yeah, weird shot.
Speaker 4 (01:12:41):
Yeah no, I think the other cameras are not working,
because I do. They haven't switched any cameras, I think
at all, Right, this is what they've been you knowing.
Speaker 2 (01:12:46):
Yeah, this is basically all they have. And they have
like the side view of the guy in the batter's box.
Speaker 4 (01:12:51):
I wonder, I wonder if the camera like took a
foul ball or something.
Speaker 3 (01:12:54):
Oh maybe, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:12:55):
When they're zooming in the zoomia now I have a
it's not a boomer take, but it's something that should
be brought to everyone's attention. If you play like in
and I know ironically a rain delay right now in Knoxville, Knoxville, Nashville, Lexington, Kentucky,
you do not need a turf field. Enough of the
turf fields, okay, play Baseball's played on grass and dirt. Okay.
(01:13:18):
I get like Oregon State and Oregon have as it
rained so much they have they have, you know, turt fields.
Thank you Clemson for having a dirt field. I appreciate
Clemson for having a dirt field. Baseball's not played on
turf even they they they built a baseball field in London.
Now the grass was turf in London, but they had
they had dirt otherwise, right, they had dirt everywhere else.
(01:13:39):
Come on, come on, guys, go back to dirt. Please.
Speaker 2 (01:13:43):
What was the field like in London, because it's very
different than like a normal It was grass field, It
was terf.
Speaker 4 (01:13:50):
I think it was turf in London, and then they
did a grass euse it was turf in London and
then dirt infield and mound. Yeah, that's what I think
it looked like to me.
Speaker 2 (01:14:00):
I think I lost a bet because of that weird
turf Jeff, because I went game. I went in game
under two and a half runs in the first five innings,
which sounds like I need to dial a one eight
hundred number right away.
Speaker 4 (01:14:13):
Do people think we have problems? Probably, like you.
Speaker 3 (01:14:16):
Guys, probably yes, But if they read.
Speaker 4 (01:14:20):
Our text messages, they'd be like, oh my god, you guys, they'd.
Speaker 2 (01:14:23):
Be like, it's confirmed. You clearly do need help. Yes,
you do have problems. Yeah, but there was a plate
at the plate, beautiful relay by Lindor, and because it
didn't bounce like it normally would have, the catcher.
Speaker 3 (01:14:37):
Didn't catch the ball. Yeah, tag the base runner out.
Speaker 2 (01:14:40):
So I basically lost because of the weird field conditions.
Speaker 4 (01:14:43):
Yeah, if you don't, if you're not used to that,
because the ball on the turf field, you get, you
get true bounces, right, you don't get like weird hops
at all. They just it just you know. And guys,
also they slide when the turf field, did they slide
Like you have to start your slide really early because
just slide past the base if you don't. So there's
there's lots of that I see a video right now
(01:15:05):
of Luca warming up at the garden and he's he's
holding like the right side of his chest after a
couple of shots, and this is good. He's going for
fifty tonight. I just you just know, like this is
the Luca that like he can barely run up and
down the court. He also didn't get a lot of
foul calls in game one. I'm telling I think we're
gonna get a bunch of fouls early on. I don't
think I can do it with the apps I have,
(01:15:27):
but I'm I think, like Luca, first quarter is certainly
a wager i'd be eyeing. Yeah, probably it's probably eight
and a half. It's simply what it's at for him
in the first quarter. I think he has a really
big first quarter. I'm like Dad, right now, if I.
Speaker 2 (01:15:39):
Can find it, we got we'll compare notes for sure,
coming up here next hour. Right well, we should put
together like a same game parlay or something.
Speaker 4 (01:15:49):
I can't do that. I can't really do that. I
don't have access to the my offshores. You can't really
do that type of thing. That's I'm really California. You
need to get you need to get together California.
Speaker 3 (01:15:58):
It's embarrassing. What do you do at this point? Seriously,
it's embarrassing.
Speaker 2 (01:16:01):
They're basically saying millions and millions and millions of dollars,
no thanks, we'd just rather not make it. When what
are we at thirty five states are legally making mounds
of cash off of sports.
Speaker 3 (01:16:15):
I don't get out there.
Speaker 4 (01:16:16):
The first I don't think I do the first quarter thing. Okay,
they offer stuff like do people really wager on whether
the point total is going to be outer? Even at
the end of a game. There's no way I.
Speaker 3 (01:16:24):
Got that's bad that you and I wouldn't even do that.
Speaker 4 (01:16:27):
Oh my god, please no.
Speaker 3 (01:16:29):
Just flip it a coin when you go.
Speaker 4 (01:16:31):
Back to the hous aer over. I didn't touch it today.
Speaker 2 (01:16:33):
I did well, I haven't entered it in for tonight.
But that's why we got to put together our bets here.
Speaker 4 (01:16:41):
You know, I'm a little worried.
Speaker 3 (01:16:43):
I wouldn't be.
Speaker 2 (01:16:44):
I think you're bouncing back here in game two, man,
I got faith in you all right. Right around the corner,
the ball buffet is in full effect. We will have
some details for you. He's Jeff Schwartz, I'm Brian. No,
we're live from the Tireck dot Com studios here on
Fox Sports Radio. It is Fox Sports Radio. He's Jeff Schwartz.
(01:17:05):
I'm Brian now Man, Jeff. So, the ball buffet in
December slash January is going to be magnificent. So the
college football playoff schedule was unveiled, and there is this
tweet from Warren Sharp that is like a cheesecake factory menu.
Speaker 3 (01:17:28):
Right, It's just extensive.
Speaker 2 (01:17:30):
And it's college game NFL game, college game, NFL game,
college game, NFL game. It is going to be a
full board, just like if you've got a significant other, right,
if you've got a wife, girlfriend, what have you, and
you know they're not completely in lockstep with you. As
far as watching football, I think that you got a
(01:17:52):
solid month here, Jeff, of just nothing but ball, and
you might have to do some making up in like
January through February type no, and maybe after the football season,
like February to March is yours?
Speaker 3 (01:18:03):
Like, do just name whatever you want to do, We'll
do it.
Speaker 4 (01:18:05):
Yeah, it's gonna be a probably in the old sports household.
My wife said to me, I look, I say yes
a lot of times, I just do I don't I
don't think she knows that yes sort of, it might
mean no, just certainly not listening to this, so it's
not a problem. But like she's she's like, I want
to go to Deer Valley to ski December twenty first
(01:18:25):
through the twenty sixth. Okay, this is before the schedule
came out. I said. I said, yes, okay, fine, and
she's like, I want you to come. We're gonna get
a condo. You'll run a condo, like you don't have
to really ski, but like you can just cook and
hang out and be with the family. You can just
watch football like as you need to. I was like,
are you sure about that? And then the Costuable Playoffs
schedule came out and I was like, I'm like, I
(01:18:49):
I maybe I'll come on the twenty third, Like you
have you have the Cousurable Playoffs Friday, Saturday, NFL Sunday.
We have our Sunday, which I'm gonna have to do
from Deer Valley. If I don't know, I doubt there's
a Fox Sports iHeartRadio studio in Deer Valley if someone
(01:19:09):
would like to tell me, that'd be great. So I
said yes, knowing that show book the trip and then
I'll just come at someday and on Christmas. She's like,
on Christmas, I want us to go like two being
or snowbollbilling. I'm like, the Chiefs play at one can
we can we do it in the morning? Can we
do it in the morning?
Speaker 7 (01:19:30):
Man?
Speaker 2 (01:19:30):
The schedule on the twenty first that you're talking about, Jeff,
So this is Saturday, the twenty first, So it's this
Morgaspord three play at game noon. Yeah, it's a first
round college football playoff game at one pm. Texans at
the Chiefs at four o'clock another college football.
Speaker 3 (01:19:48):
First round playoff game. Four thirty Steelers at the Ravens.
Speaker 2 (01:19:52):
Nightcap eight o'clock, another college football first round playoff game.
Speaker 4 (01:19:56):
How dumb is is college football? Just put the games
on Friday? Like what why would you go against the NFL?
Speaker 3 (01:20:03):
It's not smart and it just isn't it's.
Speaker 4 (01:20:06):
Not I don't understand the purpose of that, Like, you
know what day's the NFL is playing on? Right schedule
around the NFL.
Speaker 2 (01:20:13):
And that's the crazy thing is they have one game
on Friday night that they could easily have a minimum
of two to do the same thing.
Speaker 4 (01:20:21):
Put three, Put three on Friday. But look, right, when
organize a buy, I won't have to worry about any
of those games on that day, so I'll.
Speaker 3 (01:20:27):
Be that How crazy is that Notre Dame can't have
a buy?
Speaker 4 (01:20:31):
So I actually, I actually think it's not the worst
thing for Notre Dame. They're never gonna be good if
for a championship my opinion, but they could always host
a playoff game, which is huge for them.
Speaker 3 (01:20:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:20:41):
Yeah, we'll compare notes on that coming up, and also
comparing notes on Game two props. The injury list is
extensive for this one player that's on the way. We're
broadcasting live from the tire rack dot com studios. Tire
rack dot Com will help get you there an unmatched selection, fast,
free shipping, free road hazard protection no for ten thousand
(01:21:03):
recommended installers. Tire rack dot com the way tire buying
should be. So the report just came out. Luca is
good to go for game two here, Jeff. He was
downgraded from probable to questionable with this thoracic contusion, but
he has been cleared he's good to go, which is
(01:21:23):
not shocking. The shock would have been if he didn't play,
but look at his injury resume here he's got the
thoracic contusion, right knee sprain, left ankle soreness is what
Luca is dealing with here. So that spells what forty
plus oh boys for him tonight.
Speaker 4 (01:21:44):
It's it sounds like the injury list of like a
forty seven year old man, like ankle left. I've left
ankle storms every day, Like that's like a thing that
I have. So like it's is, yeah, I'm sore too, buddy,
Like we'll join the club. So I love that that
was part of a probably they report he's gonna be
He's gonna be fine. He's gonna be fine, he's gonna play.
(01:22:08):
I think the game comes down to Tyree being good
or not in the end, hit a couple of corner threes.
They're back in this series. I think that, Look, I
have a MAVs future. It's not a lot of money.
I can make the money back, not a big deal,
and I love for the MAVs to win. But I
think them winning tonight just makes this a better series,
right because realistically, Brian, the Maps are probably not winning
(01:22:32):
four or five from Boston. They lose tonight, right, So,
like you have to think about it that way. If
they lose tonight, are they gonna beat Boston four our
next five games to get this done?
Speaker 3 (01:22:43):
It's hard to see that.
Speaker 4 (01:22:43):
Hard it happen, right, it goes one to one. It's
a series, right, and that's certainly the game we better
tell you than was the other night. So I'm rooting
for see, I'm rooting for a series like we're working.
I'm off next week because I'm flying, But like I like,
if I was working next week, I would want to
talk about the NBA being competitive, right, Brian, I would
love to talk like I'm rooting for competitive finals from
(01:23:04):
a selfish standpoint.
Speaker 2 (01:23:05):
No, I hear you, Absolutely, I hear you on that,
and we'll see what we've talked about it. To begin
the show, is Boston for as much negativity that has
been out there regarding the Celtics, certainly heading into the finals,
right before Game one, they played outstanding. Yeah, in Game one,
but I'm absolutely it's like I'm a flavor flave to
(01:23:28):
the Boston Celtics.
Speaker 3 (01:23:30):
I've been their hype man, you know.
Speaker 2 (01:23:31):
I have defended them because they are a really, really
solid basketball team and the negativity for them was just
completely over the top, which was, Oh, they faced a
bunch of banged up teams and they weren't as impressive
as they should have been. And it's just like, over
and over and over again something negative about Boston. I'm like,
they've got a lot of strengths, a lot of them.
(01:23:52):
We can't just gloss over that. But with all that
being said, they have lost focus at times in the playoff.
And I know this is the final stage, Jeff, and
I know they're going up against Dallas, but they were
so good in Game one that I just wonder if
they come out with that same force, that same focus,
(01:24:14):
and they are just locked in to a team that
could very well be hungrier than them tonight in Dallas.
When they got punked in Game one, the way they
did well, I.
Speaker 4 (01:24:24):
Think, Look, I don't I don't think they're up seventeen
points in the first quarter.
Speaker 3 (01:24:28):
That's happened, right right.
Speaker 4 (01:24:29):
There's also just eight vast history of in that game
one situation, the favorite playing really well. Since two thousand
and five, favorites in game one of six and a
half points are more excuse me, favorites in game one
the finals, no matter what the spread is. Brian are
(01:24:51):
sixteen and three against the spread. Wow, it's in two
thousand and five.
Speaker 2 (01:24:56):
Wow, against the spread. It's not just winning out right,
it's covering also, Yeah, sure.
Speaker 4 (01:25:00):
And now seventeen and three against the spread after game one.
So I think that that is a big part of
what we saw. Is it just historically that's a very
tough spot for the away team plus plus a lot
of money on the road, dog like that that is,
that's a that's a tough they guess winsdows, wagers a lot,
(01:25:21):
you know. So everyone's back on the maps today though,
which kind of worries me again for their ability to
win this game when everyone's who everyone's back on them,
But certainly interesting to see sort of how this game
starts to tell us a lot about how this game
is going to go.
Speaker 2 (01:25:34):
Absolutely and you're on what what's your biggest or your
strongest play? I should say, are you on holiday over
rebounds and assists?
Speaker 5 (01:25:42):
No?
Speaker 4 (01:25:42):
I went points runs, assists.
Speaker 3 (01:25:44):
I can't I know you because you can't do it.
Speaker 4 (01:25:45):
I think a half, but I don'ly did a half
unit on that one. I have a bunch of small positions, honestly,
I've because I have a lot of positions for this game.
I make a go go through them if you'd like.
I have like maps. I think MAVs first quarter plus two.
I have them. I have the Luca points, rebounds, assist,
excuse me, rebounds and assists over, evenough I feel less
good about the rebounds after the injury thing. He might
(01:26:06):
just avoid trying to get in the pain as much,
but I doubt it. He's just available there. I have Porzingis.
I faded Porzingis a little bit. I had points, rebounds
assist over last game. I went under this game. He
just was so he ended up with twenty six last game,
and that's with twenty in the first half, and it's
the same number as it was in game one. I
(01:26:28):
think just he came out so fast, so hot. I
don't see that same kind of thing happening for him
in this game. I would take more if I was
allowed to, if I was able to find some of
these wagers, but I just not able to defind them.
I just can't do it with the offshores.
Speaker 2 (01:26:44):
One of the ones I like is Derek Lively. I've
got his rebounds. I'm over six and a half because look, man,
we've seen what he's done throughout the playoffs, And if
you look at Game one, he had five files. He
was in foul trouble, you know, like played eight teen
minutes and still had five rebounds. I like that, you know, right,
And there was some garbage time minutes at the end.
(01:27:06):
So even with those five files, he would have been
on the court more toward the end of the game.
So he's gonna I can't imagine he'll be lower than
twenty twenty minutes. You might get up around twenty five
plus minutes tonight. I think he's gonna get at least
seven rebounds. So that's one of the props I like tonight.
Speaker 4 (01:27:24):
I like it, like I'm trying to find it. This
is that I just don't like. This bothers me a lot.
Speaker 3 (01:27:31):
Like California. Huh, freaking California.
Speaker 4 (01:27:33):
What juice to get on that one?
Speaker 2 (01:27:34):
Because that so the over is it's minus one o five.
It's actually juiced to the under. And I'm like, okay, this.
Speaker 4 (01:27:41):
Is why, this is why it's this is this is
such a gripe that no one cares about. But like
my offshore is only offering lively six plus rebounds at
minus one.
Speaker 3 (01:27:52):
Six or see, that's so late seven or.
Speaker 4 (01:27:55):
Seven plus at minus one o three.
Speaker 3 (01:27:57):
But I guess, okay, that's it.
Speaker 4 (01:28:00):
I take that one, yeah, because I yeah, that's what
it is.
Speaker 3 (01:28:02):
Yeah, that works.
Speaker 4 (01:28:03):
That works, right, Okay, I did it. I'm telling you, buddy,
I like.
Speaker 3 (01:28:06):
Here we go. Let's go. Come on, Lively, stay away
from that. I'll tell you what. Man, PJ.
Speaker 2 (01:28:11):
Washington picks up some stupid fouls, and every now and
then Lively will also, But man, PJ. Washington picks them
up where you're like, bro, you're already in foul trouble.
Speaker 3 (01:28:21):
What are you doing picking up that foul? It's that
you're not in past half court right now? What are
you doing?
Speaker 4 (01:28:26):
Well? Money? Do you have in a UFL game right now?
A little San Antonio Saint Louis XFL playoffs, this XFL bracket.
Speaker 3 (01:28:34):
I haven't touched anything with that league? Are I went
on that?
Speaker 4 (01:28:38):
Not in this game? I have a Birmingham Stallion's future
to win, to win the league, all right, which is uh,
you know I don't if they you know, they win
next weekend, I win that wager. Yesterday Birmingham was down
eighteen to three and Michigan was getting six points. Depends
where you got six ' five somewhere around there, six
(01:28:59):
and a half down there, done eighteen to three. So
if you're a Michigan backer, you're like sweet plus six.
I'm good. Birmingham outscored Michigan twenty eight nothing oh no,
really yeah thirty one eighteen final score. Oh wow's fine?
Everyone so much.
Speaker 2 (01:29:17):
But we just think of our guy, Bill Krachenberger, professional gambler.
If anything crazy happens, especially if it's a bad beat,
doesn't care. Just sit back like the wise owl he
is and say, so, you want to be a sports gambler.
I think that every time there's anything wacky that happens
in the world is sports.
Speaker 4 (01:29:36):
You just the thing about wagering, guys, of course, only
ways we can afford to lose. That's the best advice, right,
Like I again, like we talked, Brian, I talk a
lot about this, Like I know how much because we
send each other's slips, like we do know how much
we wager on stuff, Like it's not gonna make our
break our lives, which is the way you have to
do it, right, Like I don't look at this as
it's revenue that I'm just honestly, I'm up sort of
(01:29:57):
an okay, amount since I started doing this in March,
you know, legally in North Carolina. I'm just trying to
make up a war chest for football, Like I guess
that's my only plan. I just want enough money to
wager on football as much as much as I would
like during the season. That's my only plan right now.
Speaker 2 (01:30:13):
And that includes your fading like eighteen running backs. Oh
you know, just take the under on all these running
backs because it's such a.
Speaker 4 (01:30:22):
I'll be doing that, Like That's all I want to
do right now is make up that money. But nonetheless,
it uh, you just can, especially in baseball, have wild
swings in days like yesterday I was down, you know,
a lot, and today I'd made it all back. It
just it's a wild ride in baseball. But right which
(01:30:44):
you know this for like it is a wild ride in.
Speaker 2 (01:30:47):
Baseball, baseball is crazy. Let me throw one at you here.
I'm just looking at all lines, alternative lines when it
comes to points being scored.
Speaker 3 (01:30:58):
Now you tell me if this is.
Speaker 2 (01:31:00):
Like a knee jerk, because our guy Sam Hauser finally
started hitting shots in Game one, right, so his alt
points I'm looking at eight plus it's basically three to one.
Speaker 4 (01:31:13):
Three, So three three. He's not shooting any two's right,
He's not.
Speaker 2 (01:31:16):
He might I mean, listen, he might sneak in for
a little putback, or he might cut to the basket
and get an easy deuce.
Speaker 3 (01:31:23):
You know, I maybe.
Speaker 4 (01:31:25):
I like, if we're doing an alt wager parlay, which
I think I do, like won a game right, which
I know you do as well, would you just take
like Luca over points, Kyrie over points, put Lively at
five plus rebounds, you know, throw in you know, maybe
(01:31:46):
a Tatum over point number like that's I just take
the superstars in these games to do really well.
Speaker 2 (01:31:52):
And to be clear, you might be talking about like Lively,
you're going a little bit under right, like meaning his
re out lights at six and a halfs, So you
take them at five plus five plus like what thirty
two and a half? You take him at what twenty
five plus lower plus the.
Speaker 4 (01:32:09):
Lowest it typically offers these alt wines, you're gonna get
like minus twelve hundred. I would just take the next
one in, like the minus six hundred number, and then
put that with Kyrie's minus six hundred point number, and
then you take one one of them close to even
money and just make sure it makes it, you know,
your parley ends up being about even money like that's
that's the way I look at it. And I hit
(01:32:29):
one of those in Game one with basically the same
thing I told you. I took Tatum over rebounds, I
took Luke over points. It took I don't know if
I put the Houser three point one in there. They're
a little fun. It's just like you know, the pizza
money man, like, I'm not make your break the but
it's fun to throw on these you know, these stinky
parlays in which Crack, if you're listening.
Speaker 3 (01:32:51):
Sorry, please don't please, please don't.
Speaker 4 (01:32:53):
Text us in anger.
Speaker 2 (01:32:53):
Okay, Yeah, it's basically when you're talking about the minus
twelve hundred thing, that's like making a huge money line
favorite in any sport, right like football, especially where Crack preaches,
he bangs the pulpit against doing such things, you know
what I mean, where it's like, oh, it's so easy,
(01:33:14):
we'll just add Clemson. They're taking on this bottom feeder,
they're surely gonna win.
Speaker 3 (01:33:18):
And then crazy stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:33:20):
How about yesterday in college baseball, Tennessee was a minus
eleven hundred favorite wow at home against Evansville and lost.
Speaker 3 (01:33:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:33:28):
Wow, that is that's a big So Evansville must have
been one at least plus.
Speaker 4 (01:33:33):
Seven fifty seven fifty eight ISSU Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:33:37):
Yeah, yeah, that's a good win.
Speaker 4 (01:33:39):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:33:39):
You get an eight to one win like.
Speaker 4 (01:33:40):
That, yeahs a way to do it. Nearly impossible. I mean,
I don't know how many people bet on Evansville yesterday.
I imagine the books that you're raking in, all the
parlays that had Tennessee money line, and then we were
in the bottom of the twelfth. By the way, in
in South Carolina, Clemson Florida clubs just put in there
at starter tomorrow Florida ORDFI, Florida. I think already through
(01:34:01):
the starter for tomorrow tomorrow's game, the over is gonna
have if if Clemson wins this game we get to
Game three. I think we have to play the over
in this game tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (01:34:09):
I absolutely love the thinking right there, and we might
we got a root for Clemson to get out of
the bottom of the twelfth, you know, so we gotta
we got an advantage next game. I love that, all right,
coming up next? Would this be a great move long term?
That is the question. We'll compare notes. He's Jeff Schwartz.
I'm Brian Know. We're live from the tyreck dot Com
(01:34:31):
studios here on Fox Sports Radio. It is Fox Sports Radio.
He's Jeff Schwartz. I'm Brian know. So it seems like,
and I don't know, I could be wrong that our
guy Shay was overruled. He was gonna go with Randy
Newman's I Love La and now we got pac talking
(01:34:51):
about California here?
Speaker 3 (01:34:53):
Is that what happened?
Speaker 1 (01:34:53):
No one?
Speaker 4 (01:34:54):
No one wants to listen to a Dodger song play. Yeah, okay,
we're in Los Angeles, so we're listening.
Speaker 3 (01:35:00):
To Mary Mack? Was this an easy overruling?
Speaker 2 (01:35:03):
When Jeff said about its pretty easy, it's pretty easy,
you know me and you know my music taste, that
was Andy Newman didn't stand a chance.
Speaker 3 (01:35:11):
I mean, I'll still play it. We still have. Like
you know, I thought the last.
Speaker 2 (01:35:15):
Block was for metal only. Is that not how the
show was structured?
Speaker 7 (01:35:19):
I mean, damn, you're right, Jef l a right now,
we can make some change just this one show today.
Speaker 4 (01:35:28):
That we don't need that music in her life.
Speaker 7 (01:35:30):
Don't listen to Jeff Persidentally, I personally love the metal
now I have my own playlist designated for metal.
Speaker 3 (01:35:36):
Now listen to that, Jeff, Did you hear that? Right there?
Speaker 7 (01:35:39):
The olden minded Mary Mex literally titled metal music. Brian
put me onto.
Speaker 4 (01:35:44):
I'm more likely to listen to like country music than
I am that I am, uh.
Speaker 3 (01:35:52):
Metal? Yeah? Oh oh, looks like we got a home right, No.
Speaker 4 (01:35:56):
I can't wait to hammer you over tomorrow. It's gonna
be like hal it's gonna be some insane numbers. Thirteen today,
it's probably it probably be fourteen and a half. Right,
everyone used their pitchers.
Speaker 2 (01:36:08):
Yeah, right, So Clemson hit a solo home run to
take a ten to nine lead in the top of
the thirteenth. So Clemson's up by a run. That was
a two out single, a solo shot right there, mammoth
home run.
Speaker 4 (01:36:24):
I had no idea if their closer is pitched yet.
Clemson's had one, two, three, four, five, six pitchers throw.
Florida's had six pictures throw.
Speaker 3 (01:36:35):
So we're talking. It's clearly a bullpen game.
Speaker 4 (01:36:37):
Five pitchers are thrown for Florida. Look, here's the thing.
I don't know if these guys can come back and
throw like tomorrow. I don't know what like the rules do.
Speaker 3 (01:36:45):
We got like middle infielders like Little.
Speaker 4 (01:36:47):
League, you have to wait two days before we get
pitch again. I don't know what the deal is with
college pitching, but.
Speaker 3 (01:36:53):
That bitch was right down in the middle.
Speaker 4 (01:36:55):
It's also very warm right now, like the ball. I
would imagine, fine, if it's a day game tomorrow with
the hot weather, that ball is gonna be flying out
of that park.
Speaker 2 (01:37:03):
Man, we had a gronk spike. Gronk spike with the bat. Also,
it's funny to me, right, I don't know what it
is with baseball. For the longest, it was all bat flips,
bad bad flips. Now you can gronk spike your bat
and no one cares. Its completely changed. Remember like the
pushback for nets being around to the ballpark, and now
(01:37:24):
they're everywhere.
Speaker 3 (01:37:25):
No one cares. It's fine.
Speaker 4 (01:37:27):
Weird. Something's happened in the game too. There's like an argument.
Someone came out. I have no idea. What's happening right now?
What are they reviewing? They were reviewing something was the
it was the bat like what they.
Speaker 2 (01:37:39):
Do they do like out of the base base path
or something.
Speaker 3 (01:37:44):
I have no idea.
Speaker 4 (01:37:45):
It's mute and we can't tell obviously, but there's there's
a lot comes and coaches are going to lose it.
Something happens. We are they reviewing what could be?
Speaker 3 (01:37:52):
No idea is clear solo home run.
Speaker 4 (01:37:55):
I also love how every player now looks like the
RoboCop with all the armor they wear. It's like they
have the EVO shield on the on the elbow, on
the the ankle, the upper the lower leg, the palm.
What are they doing right now?
Speaker 3 (01:38:12):
Look, I have no idea. Yeah, it's odd.
Speaker 4 (01:38:16):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:38:17):
Clemson is just very angry.
Speaker 2 (01:38:19):
The only thing I can think of is like he
they're talking about the the gronk spike of the bat.
Speaker 3 (01:38:26):
I don't know what they could do about that.
Speaker 4 (01:38:29):
Throw them out. They can't nuify the home.
Speaker 3 (01:38:31):
Run, right maybe?
Speaker 4 (01:38:32):
Maybe?
Speaker 2 (01:38:33):
And that's the thing, I don't know. If it's like
a college football thing, think about it. For targeting, I
got something. I got something about the pitchers here. So
if they exceed one hundred and ten pitches per game,
they cannot play.
Speaker 3 (01:38:45):
For three days after. So that shouldn't affect anything. I
don't think it affects any of them.
Speaker 4 (01:38:49):
It's about the relievers. Both both teams threw their starters
for tomorrow, but I don't know how much they've thrown
you through an inning. I think Florida's starter for tomorrow
through I think they both through inning. What is it?
What is happening right.
Speaker 3 (01:39:02):
Now, Scott? I don't know something with the gronk spike
of the bat.
Speaker 4 (01:39:06):
It has to be that.
Speaker 3 (01:39:07):
It's gotta be.
Speaker 4 (01:39:08):
The umpire called the coach out and wouldn't like walk
past the line to meet the coach. He made the
coach come out to him. This is gonna be this
could be like.
Speaker 3 (01:39:16):
This is so baseball?
Speaker 4 (01:39:17):
Who's the Who's the Tigers manager that that that kicked
the dirt everywhere the day? I'm blanking on.
Speaker 3 (01:39:24):
I should know this the Tigers manager. I know you're
talking Jim Leland.
Speaker 4 (01:39:30):
Wasn't jimd who just like just what would always absolutely
sending the umpires. Oh I loved it.
Speaker 2 (01:39:36):
We got our old school lou Panela. I'm not saying
he was a Tiger's.
Speaker 4 (01:39:42):
Yeah, oh boy, what's that? This is not it's gonna
be bad the great radio by the way, Florida, we're.
Speaker 2 (01:39:50):
Just showing our baseball ignorance. Like is it like targeting?
You know, if you get kicked out in the second half?
Do you miss the next game? Is that happening in baseball?
Speaker 4 (01:39:58):
Can someone tweet us and let us oh, yeah, what's happening?
Speaker 3 (01:40:01):
I just know the Clemson manager is irate.
Speaker 4 (01:40:05):
Did he miss a base?
Speaker 2 (01:40:07):
But that I don't know why they would just appeal
to the base that they thought he missed and they
would call him out.
Speaker 4 (01:40:14):
Someone turned the volume on in there. Let me know
what's happening. I feel like this is very very important.
What is happening right now?
Speaker 3 (01:40:23):
All I know is the Clemson manager is he has irate.
Speaker 4 (01:40:26):
He has to be a oh look at it. He
must have got injected because he's like cheering the crowd on.
Speaker 3 (01:40:31):
All right, we got breaking news. Let's hear from Manci Bolanos.
Speaker 5 (01:40:39):
All right, fellas so ESPN specifically, WOJ is tweeting that
ucon coach Dan Hurley uh oh plans to make a
decision on his future Monday, that the Lakers made a
compelling case to him, but he likes what he has
built with the two time defending national champions, so he's
weighing it out, but he will make a decision Monday tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (01:41:03):
Dunt dun, dun. I don't think he's leaving Jeff you.
Speaker 4 (01:41:08):
I don't know. By the way, they did eject that
batter for throwing the bat. That's what that's. I mean that,
which is just it's I can't I don't want words
I can't he can't use in this studio, So I'm
not gonna say anything.
Speaker 2 (01:41:20):
Time for the weekly installment. You can't say the S word. No, No,
I was about to.
Speaker 4 (01:41:24):
Say h S word. I can't say that, probably right, No,
definitely no. Laughing at the hysterically, Shay is like no,
absolutely not. Mary's like, yes, please do it. It's like please, yes,
I want to. I want to dump you. I'm ready
for that. No, it's uh. I think if Harley would
have wanted the job, he would take it already, right.
Speaker 3 (01:41:46):
That's what I think too, Yeah, why would you wait around?
Speaker 4 (01:41:50):
The biggest question is for him, obviously, is the Lebron thing? Right? Like,
I like what the Lakers are doing. They're going after
a player development coach, right because when Lebron is a
eventually not there anymore, which is not gonna be next
year but soon enough, they need someone to They need
someone to develop the players. Is this an athletic director
(01:42:12):
like on the field with the umpire now. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:42:15):
I have no idea.
Speaker 4 (01:42:16):
Never it has to be right. There's there's a there's
a there's an She probably was having a couple beverages
up in the boxes, like talking to the umpire now
about why their coach got ejected.
Speaker 3 (01:42:28):
Wow, it's yeah, it's a wild scene. Wild scene.
Speaker 2 (01:42:32):
Apparently you can't gronk spike your bat in college baseball.
Speaker 3 (01:42:35):
We learned something here today.
Speaker 2 (01:42:39):
I don't know if the ejection today has anything to
do with what might be tomorrow's game, you know, assuming
Clemson wins today.
Speaker 3 (01:42:48):
I doubt it. But man, that was a whole lot
of white wasted time.
Speaker 4 (01:42:53):
I thought nothing about the umpires, like what, why would
you want to beat make yourself part of this game.
Speaker 3 (01:43:01):
It's stupid, it really is.
Speaker 1 (01:43:03):
I don't know. Man.
Speaker 2 (01:43:06):
That's the thing about if you're an official, if you're
an umpire, right where sometimes you have to uphold rules
that you disagree with. So maybe that was the case
there where they're like, we really don't want to eject
a player, but according to rule number thirty seven, Article
two whatever, maybe.
Speaker 4 (01:43:23):
Maybe just miss it, Like, well it happened. I didn't
see it.
Speaker 3 (01:43:26):
A coach, I didn't say I didn't seen it, Grounks.
Speaker 4 (01:43:27):
I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I just didn't see it. Sorry,
I didn't coach. My bad. I didn't see it happen.
It's it's you know, these are type of things that,
like I question the logic of it, Like I'm a
logic person, right, Like I want to know the why
of things?
Speaker 3 (01:43:41):
What's the point? What's the point of ejecting?
Speaker 4 (01:43:44):
Are you the why would be? We hope it doesn't
lead to a fight, basically, right, Like we think if
you would, if you allow this to happen, then a fight.
But isn't a real thing that happens, Like, are there
a bunch of baseball brawls because because guess what. When
Florida's up right now and they hit a home run
to tie the game in this inning, I hope they
throw their bat too. I hope both teams enjoy playing baseball.
Speaker 3 (01:44:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:44:08):
To me, that's what's weird to me though, is if
it's a sportsmanship thing or like you said, it's escalating
the emotions and we could have a fight on our hands.
You can't gronk spike the bat, but you could cross
home plate and moon walk to the dugout and that's fine,
you know what I mean, Like that could absolutely lead
to a fight as well. But that's all good. It's
(01:44:29):
just weird. What's all good and what isn't. It's just
a strange dynamic to me.
Speaker 4 (01:44:34):
I guess Clemson had two players ejected to two coaches
ejected today. Okay, so wow over tomorrow just.
Speaker 3 (01:44:47):
For three up, three down.
Speaker 2 (01:44:48):
You know, no runs here and the bottom half of
the thirteenth and we're pounding the over tomorrow in a
game three.
Speaker 3 (01:44:55):
I love that, all right.
Speaker 2 (01:44:56):
I'll weigh in on the Dan Hurley thing, the Lakers
breaking news, where Dan is gonna make up his mind
today and give us his uh his decision tomorrow. First off,
Moncey bolanos with us to spin us around the sporting landscape.
Speaker 3 (01:45:13):
What's going on here, Monci. There's a lot going on, fellas,
I'm trying to keep up.
Speaker 5 (01:45:17):
So the Angels, uh just just walked it off.
Speaker 3 (01:45:21):
But tick a listen and he drives went out toward
left field, moving back forward, his cabbage out near the wall.
Cabbage taught it. No, he didn't have pitched on. That's
a hard run.
Speaker 7 (01:45:33):
Hit it out.
Speaker 3 (01:45:34):
The dam is over. That's a whole run.
Speaker 1 (01:45:38):
The Angels went on the lockdop Cabbage Tony had it,
but it fell out of his club and the Angels
went at nine seven.
Speaker 3 (01:45:47):
To make sure he didn't pass them.
Speaker 4 (01:45:49):
All the faith path though Lorogan, Oh, Hubbard, oh, walk off,
I gonna make sure he did not pass them. I
figured to have a conversation with the Hieries.
Speaker 1 (01:46:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:46:02):
So Cabbage, the left fielder for the Astros, the home
run was over the short wall and he does catch it,
and when he brings his glove back over, he realizes
he doesn't have the ball anymore. But the two runners,
so Ohapi and Pilar, who was on first space for
the Angels, they.
Speaker 3 (01:46:20):
Thought he caught it, so they were already running. They
started both running back, but he couldn't pass him. Like
it was a mess.
Speaker 5 (01:46:26):
It was a mess, but they declared it a home run.
They beat the Astros, they walk it off. It was
just a messy at the same time that it was
messy between Clemson and Florida. But the final score on
the Angels radio network that you just heard nine to
seven against the Astros. The Dodgers and the Yankees officially underway,
top of the second inning in the Bronx. They are scoreless,
(01:46:46):
but baseball started in London this morning. Six five was
the final scores. The Mets beat the Phillies. They split
the two game series. The Rangers took down the Giants
seven to two, and the Nationals outscored the Braves eight
to five. The Twins and Pirates went to the Pirate
t went to extra innings, with Minnesota coming out on
top eleven to five. The Orioles Atlie Rutchman with a
grand slam. They beat the Rays nine to two. The
(01:47:07):
Cubs outscored the Reds forward to two, and the Guardians
defeated the Marlins six to three. The Tigers blew out
the Brewers ten two was the final score. Red Sox
White Sox also extra innings. Boston came out on top
six to four, Mariners Royals extra innings. Seattle came out
on top six to five. The Cardinals defeated the Rockies
five to one. Who Blue Jays and the A's extra innings.
(01:47:28):
Blue Jays came out on top six to four, and
the Diamondbacks all over the Padres nine to three. Game
two of the NBA Finals is about to tip off
in like twenty five minutes from Boston. Despite Luka Doncic
being listed as questionable, he is good to go. In
the WNBA, the Liberty beat the Mystics ninety three to
eighty eight. The Mystics have not won a game this season,
while the Mercury defeated the Wings ninety seven to ninety
(01:47:50):
in double overtime. In the NFL, Darren Waller has informed
the Giants that he's retiring from the NFL. Kyle Larson
won the NASCAR Cup Series at Sonoma Raceway, while Max
step and One.
Speaker 3 (01:48:00):
The Canadian Grand Prix.
Speaker 5 (01:48:02):
He has won fifty at last seventy five races in
Formula One. Carlos Autgraz defeated Alexander Vedev at the French
Open in five sets, and Scottie Scheffler won the Memorial
at eight under par overall while calling Morikawa and did
one shot back and as we just broke the news,
Dan Hurley, Yukon head coach, plans to make a decision
on his future tomorrow Monday, when it comes to the Lakers.
Speaker 3 (01:48:26):
Busy Sunday, very busy, very busy Sunday. Yeah. So guys,
it's been fun, Jeff, nice to see you. Yes, Yeah,
have a great day everybody. Yeah you too. Always a pleasure, Yeah,
always a pleasure. You gotta come down here.
Speaker 1 (01:48:39):
I will.
Speaker 3 (01:48:40):
I will at some point, you know, all over the place,
you know. And now I will have cheese. It's here for you.
Speaker 1 (01:48:46):
I will.
Speaker 3 (01:48:46):
I will have cheese.
Speaker 4 (01:48:47):
Its.
Speaker 3 (01:48:47):
I'll have a variety.
Speaker 4 (01:48:48):
I bought a box of shoes for the kids yesterday
at the grocery store. When we got here.
Speaker 3 (01:48:51):
The regular ones.
Speaker 4 (01:48:52):
Yeah, regular. My daughter looked at him was like, I'm
gonna I'm gonna pick one, and no you're not. Here's
a regular on. No, there's no because think about kids.
Many you cannot buy a full box of like white
cheddar cheese. It's because they're going to have a couple
of handfuls of the first day. They never eat them again.
The original cheese is like, they will eat those and
I can pack them like in bags, bring one the
(01:49:12):
air on the airplane flight back. Like the the novelty stuff.
They don't eat it like regularly. It's like if they
have a small bag of it, great, like one of
those snack bags. But you can buy like novelty flavors
of snacks in bulk. The kids don't eat enough of them.
Speaker 3 (01:49:28):
Yeah, I hear that. Yeah, that makes sense.
Speaker 2 (01:49:30):
By the way, Monzie. Also some other cheese It news
here this week at Taco Bell. So it started a
couple of days ago June sixth. You can get the
big cheese It Toastata or the Big Cheese It crunch
Wrap Supreme. So it's literally it's like a taco on
top of a cheese it, like a gigantic cheese.
Speaker 5 (01:49:49):
It because they already had the Dorito's Locos tacos.
Speaker 2 (01:49:53):
That's right, so we got cheese it a little hybrid,
you know, collab Like, oh, yeah, news for you, Jeff.
When I think about Dan Hurley possibly going to the Lakers, yeah, look, man,
I get it.
Speaker 3 (01:50:09):
It's the Lakers.
Speaker 2 (01:50:10):
It'd be a great challenge for him, and it certainly
would be a big splash move in the here and now.
But I just look at what's the plan post Lebron?
Is that a great gig when Lebron's career is over
in the next year or two, you know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (01:50:27):
Like where they go from there? So I don't think
that's comforting.
Speaker 2 (01:50:31):
If you're a head coaching to make this big transition,
you're going to have this huge swing and it's like,
what are we when Lebron retires?
Speaker 4 (01:50:41):
Yeah, so this is the Lakers thought obviously, like they
want a player development coach, right, which Jed Hurley certainly is,
and he will have just coached in college, right, so
know the players they're being drafted. That's supremely important, right
to the idea of drafting developed players post Lebron. But Brian,
this is the Akers, man, Like, this is one of
those jobs you just really don't say no to.
Speaker 3 (01:51:05):
I don't know, man, I hear it, be trust me,
I hear you.
Speaker 4 (01:51:08):
But if Lebron was twenty six and not twenty six
thirty six and sort of in charge of everything still,
I think I'd be like, you know what, you know,
it's it's a lame duck job, which you've seen so
far with all the coaches that Lebron has had. But
this certainly feels like a higher for the future. And
I think it's specifically about Hurley though, is like what
does he have left to do in college basketball? A
lot of coaches do have it in college sports, have
(01:51:32):
a desire to coach in the professionals, they just never
get that chance, right because they're not good enough or
there's you know, it's people feel it's tough to make
that transition, so it doesn't happen very often because they're
not they'll you know, the opportunities aren't there. Dude, you
don't get the call for Lakers very often? Man, Like
this is it like you're getting call for Lakers one
time right now?
Speaker 2 (01:51:51):
Well, but that's the thing though, too, is is this
the best he could potentially get in the NBA? Yes,
terms of the brand, in terms of the you know,
the sizzle for that type of move to be hard
to the Lakers.
Speaker 4 (01:52:08):
The Lakers also have sort of always had periods of relevancy,
Like they haven't gone ten years with out being relevant,
right like that.
Speaker 2 (01:52:17):
But then it was a long haul. It was a
good what seven non playoff.
Speaker 4 (01:52:22):
Years post Kobe basically, yeah, they would rough for a while. Yeah,
that's what I think. Nineties they weren't.
Speaker 3 (01:52:31):
We don't know, think about this.
Speaker 2 (01:52:35):
In terms of the sizzle and that job and that
notoriety and all.
Speaker 3 (01:52:40):
Sure, Oh by the way, walks it off. We can't.
Speaker 4 (01:52:44):
Also, the Clemson coaches were not. They if they get ejected,
they cannot coach the next day, I believe. So wow,
So they basically used up for didn't even get it,
Florida only got one out. Then in the four battles
worth to play was a sack bunt.
Speaker 3 (01:52:57):
Yeah, that was great.
Speaker 2 (01:52:58):
They got the first two on and then a sack
bunt and then we get a two run double.
Speaker 3 (01:53:03):
We'll get off.
Speaker 4 (01:53:04):
Too much bunting in college and college.
Speaker 3 (01:53:07):
But think of this.
Speaker 2 (01:53:08):
It's not just hey, I'm the Lakers head coach, you know,
it's who gets me closest to winning.
Speaker 3 (01:53:15):
He wants to win.
Speaker 2 (01:53:16):
This isn't just I gotta be the most relevant guy
in terms of having right, Like, if you can win
in the NFL somewhere other than Dallas. Yeah, if you're
the Dallas Cowboys head coach, that carries a lot of
cachet until you're not winning in the postseason. So think
about Popovich. He's not gonna coach forever. I know that
(01:53:37):
the Spurs in terms of cache, that job. San Antonio
has nothing compared to La in terms of history, in
terms of cachet. We get all that, but that could
be a lot closer to winning with a phenom like
Wemby that you could coach for the next ten years
potentially if you take over for pop a few years
down the road and stay in stores. That could absolutely
be a better opportunity for you down the road.
Speaker 4 (01:54:00):
Yeah, look again, I think with these coaching hires, it's
very hard to pass so the Lions off it's going
to Ben Jonson has passed up jobs two straight years now.
It depends who you you listen to. People will say
that he wasn't as qualified as the media made it
out to be or some of the jobs. And my
thing has been the last couple of years, like, dude,
(01:54:20):
how many is you going to pass up? Like, there's
no very rarely do you get hired into the perfect job,
because the reason the coaches is vacancy typically is because
the team's not very good. So very rarely get hired
to the perfect job. And if you want a pro
sports job, you sort of have to strike when the
(01:54:41):
iron is hot and take that job. And because you,
as yourself as the coach, you think you should that
you can make that team better, right, Brian like that
that's the the ego of coach, And absolutely that's what
they should feel, because what if Yukon just has five
years in a row where they're just not as good
as they've been, not there anymore?
Speaker 3 (01:55:01):
So what another one could be you know, I think
the Spurs is.
Speaker 4 (01:55:04):
The best other option essentially, because I don't think that
that Missoula is going anywhere in Boston. Those are the
only jobs I will leave Boston, LA and Wemby. Right, Like,
you're not going, I think anywhere else if you're if
you're Dan Hurley, maybe Miami with pat Riley, Like you
would consider that, but with sposure is not go anywhere either? Like,
(01:55:27):
where else? Would you really consider going the Knicks? Possibly?
I would maybe if.
Speaker 3 (01:55:32):
You think it's probably not much longer than that, So like, this.
Speaker 4 (01:55:36):
Is the opportunity, Like this the Lakers job. If you've
ever wanted a coach in the pros, this is it
right here. Also, look the money. I'm not sure that
a lot of coaches are in it for the money.
Speaker 5 (01:55:45):
Right.
Speaker 4 (01:55:48):
But the money is going to be extensive with the Lakers.
It's it's life. He's making a lot of money now
his life has been changed. It's like another level. It's
multiple generations of wealth. Going to be the Lakers coach.
If you win in LA, you're a legend. Yeah, you're
a legend. If you are able to pull this off
in Los Angeles, I'm curious what plan they sold him
(01:56:10):
on in these meetings about what the team would look
like post Lebron essentially.
Speaker 2 (01:56:14):
Right right, which is I don't I don't know. There's
only so much you can say, like, how can you
sell him on? We're gonna get this agent.
Speaker 4 (01:56:20):
More about Anthony Davis, right, that's the guy that posts Lebron.
But I mean, ag Anthony Davis is probably.
Speaker 3 (01:56:26):
Not what you want to build, right right, like draft well,
and you're going to develop everybody, how about it? You know,
I don't know what the sales pitch is. I think
that you can't.
Speaker 2 (01:56:36):
They got a pony up more dough because right now
he would be the third highest paid head coach. He's
the next guy up. He just won back to back titles.
He should be the top paid guy. Yeah, like that's
just it. So if they stick with that initial offer
where he's the third highest paid coach, yeah, he might walk.
He might go take the Lakers, gig. I don't think
he does feelings, he doesn't.
Speaker 4 (01:56:57):
What's the highest salary college basketball?
Speaker 3 (01:57:01):
I think it's Bill Self leads the list.
Speaker 4 (01:57:03):
What's the number? Do you know? Do you have a number?
Four million? No?
Speaker 2 (01:57:07):
No, it's way over that. It's it's like approaching ten Wow,
somewhere in that territory.
Speaker 4 (01:57:13):
Oh, oh, geez, thirteen this is oh, thirteen millions, first
year for his new deal, but a selfish year. To you,
it looks like it's, well, they have this, so it's
five it's five point four per season with a base
salary of this and the professional services of this and
a bonus of this.
Speaker 3 (01:57:34):
Yes, yeah, it's somewhere around tennis.
Speaker 4 (01:57:37):
Yeah, yeah, somewhere around there.
Speaker 3 (01:57:38):
Yeah, he's got to be a top babe guy, got it.
Speaker 4 (01:57:42):
The Hurley Lebron thing is certainly interesting, the personality, but
you know, maybe Lebron wants a coach that can come
in and check everyone's but you.
Speaker 2 (01:57:48):
Know, possible, it's possible. Hey, we got to close it
down in style. Coming up here, Jeff, Twitter is still
real life. Okay, that's what I want to close with.
Right around the corner, we'll explain. He's Jeff's I'm Brian know.
We're live here on Fox Sports Radio. Okay, it is
Fox Sports Radio. He's Jeff Schwartz. I'm Brian know, man, Jeff,
(01:58:13):
So I think Twitter is still real life. That's what
I learned here this evening. Now, this is what I
mean by that. So our guy George checked in via
x earlier tonight and just simply wrote, I'm really not
trying to steer anything, but Steve Hartman is Jeff's best
(01:58:34):
co host.
Speaker 4 (01:58:37):
Is what he wrote, Harner.
Speaker 2 (01:58:40):
I don't know what it is. I don't think so.
I think George just putting it out there. Now here's
my take Jeff. I'm curious what you think. But my
takeaway is Twitter is still real life. Because if you
feel that way, that's fine, It's totally fine.
Speaker 3 (01:58:56):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (01:58:57):
Steve's really good at what he does. I don't know
why they're paying me, you know, right like that sort
of thing. But why would you put it out there
like that? Would you go up to someone and say that,
you know what I mean? So, do you think someone
would come up to and be like, hey, by the way,
Steve Hartman's better at co hosting with Jeff than you are.
Speaker 3 (01:59:16):
I doubt it.
Speaker 4 (01:59:17):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:59:17):
But for some reason, Twitter slash x like seems to
be treated like this completely different realm. If you will,
you know, it's weird, it's still real life. Why would
you put it out There's just strange to.
Speaker 4 (01:59:29):
Me people act like this on social media. That just
never I've I've never had someone I've never had someone
like in saying anything in my face in public that
they've ever said on social media to me.
Speaker 3 (01:59:39):
Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 4 (01:59:40):
It would never happen.
Speaker 3 (01:59:41):
No, yeah, no, that's funny.
Speaker 2 (01:59:44):
By the way, the villain you need tweeted Drew Holliday
agreed with Kids' comments, which is a true statement. Right,
Even so, Jason Kidds said Jalen Brown is the Celtics
best player. Drew Holliday said, he's not lying. How about that,
Jeff Like Drew Holliday agreed with that.
Speaker 4 (02:00:04):
Jews. He's been. He's been. He's been long enough, he's
been THEMBA long enough. He knows, he knows how, he
knows how to he knows how to respond to that.
Speaker 2 (02:00:13):
I think Tatum has a really good game tonight. You're
on the Luca train. You think Luca.
Speaker 4 (02:00:18):
I bet nothing on Luca. Okay, I uh no, I
got nothing on Luca. I think that Kyrie plays well.
I think Tatum plays well. I think it's just a
high scoring game. But I think Dallas starts fast.
Speaker 2 (02:00:30):
Okay, all right, man, I'll be excited to watch this thing.
Everybody enjoy Game two out there, fun hanging with you. Jeff,
have a great evening. We'll see you
