basketball tune ups, get the WNBA All Stars. Baseball's fully

So I'm ready to rock.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Let's go.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
As Alex Curry and Carmena Tally said earlier today, it
is an All Star week because we also had the
w NBA All Star Game coming up shortly. That'll be
happening during this during this show right here. We'll talk
about that in just a minute. But Mary Mac, I
want to give you a moment here to shout out
your team because the rest of this is gonna get ugly.
So go ahead, it's gonna get ugly. Not for you,

(01:06):
not for you. I'm talking about that. I want to
I want to fully give South Sudan the the props
that they deserve.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
For Hey, in that game, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
We did a great job. I'm very proud of my
country man.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
As you should be. Yeah, should be as you should.

Speaker 5 (01:19):
We We did a great ware. They they did a
great job. They I'm not gonna lie. They definitely wiped
the floor for.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
The thirteen years, dude.

Speaker 5 (01:26):
Yeah, we just celebrated our thirteenth year independence anniversary like
July ninth.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
So Lebron James has been playing basketball for eight more
years as South Sudan has been a country.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Can I just say this really quick? This is what's
so great about the Olympics.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Real talk.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
This is so many countries and we're such a melting
pot in Los Angeles.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
I didn't know. I forgot.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
You told me, but I forgot that that's where you
were from. That's where your DNA grows from, your parents,
your blood. You're exactly so most people I know could
have cared less about the game today and don't know
anybody that would have cared about the game today. But
the simple fact and we have someone like you here
working at the illustrious sports TALT sports talk radio station

(02:10):
of Fox Sports Radio. You're doing the Martin VJ and
other shows, you doing work here. The fact that you
got a chance to have that prize. I love that
for you. I I love that for you. And this
is what it's about, man, Copa.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
You never hear I've never screamed or cheered louder than
for this game.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
She came in here walking like Kendrick Lamar and not
like us video. I mean, it was very aggressive and
all deserted.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
It almost was gonna bring in my flag, bracelet everything
diuld I have?

Speaker 4 (02:40):
I have the like life I have, like a life
sized flag.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Should have done huge, drape yourself in it. All right,
here we go Team USA.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
You know, Steve Harper said it, and I heard him
say for the last two and a half hours, so
I can't disagree or I can't say it was like
an original thought. But like if they fired Steve Curry
after this, I wouldn't blink twice. Legitimately, it is mind
boggling the way he is moving about these exhibition games
to start the same starting lineup that played Canada.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Right at this point, what more do you need to see?
That the second unit right now is significantly better than
the first one, like top to bottom, top to bottom.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
And that doesn't mean that everybody in the first unit
shouldn't it needs to come off the bench. The starting
lineup very much should not include Devin Booker, should not
include Joel ebiid and like and borderline Drew Holliday borderline duality.
The only two guys out there that I feel like
should be starting on a consistent basis for this team

(03:50):
is Lebron and Steph And if this is supposed to
be warm up for the Olympics, where these games are
gonna matter and gonna count, why are you not maximizing
or trying to maximize who could be the starting lineup
for this team, Because you can't tell me they were
forty three and a half point favorites to start this
game DJA opening tip.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
I thought forty eight and a half. It was forty three.
The last report I saw was forty three.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Man, maybe it had ticked up, maybe had ticked up
right before, but about twenty four halftime or twenty minute
and four game start.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
I saw forty three and a half points.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
If the first unit doesn't just lay down so bad
to a South Sudan, then the second you're gonna have
to make that up. And you saw what happened at
halftime when they go in to the half down fourteen,
they start the second unit led by Derek White, Anthony Edwards,
Anthony Davis, bam Adebayo with Jason Tatum, and you know

(04:44):
what happened. That lead evaporated, you supping the old guys again.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
You know what happened. South to then goes on a run.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
It's like, I'm sitting here watching this game doing these
updates like they're gonna blow this game because they want
to play everybody. They're gonna blow this game because they're
gonna want to play everybody. If Steve Kerr doesn't move
Anthony Edwards and Anthony Davis minimum into the starting lineup,
I don't know what the hell he's doing there. You

(05:15):
have a strong argument for Jason Tatum and bam Adebayo
to take over one of the other other spots. If
I was if I was calling the shots, I would
be starting Steph Anthony Davis, Anthony Edwards, Lebron James and
bam Adebayo. Joel Embiid, thank you so much for not
playing for France. Thank you for not playing for Cameroon.

(05:36):
You will be the sixth man. You and Jason Tatum
will come in off the bench, and that's the seven
that I would feeling really good about. That's what I
would do. I don't Andrew Holliday as well coming off
the bed. That'd be my eight man rotation. But the
idea that we're just they're just trotting out the same lineup,
the same one that gave up the rope and against

(05:58):
Argentina was Argentina, not an Argentina. I'm forgetting that they
are the twenty four point lead Australia. There was the
wrong a country hand up my bag. But no, they
had a twenty four point lead going into like the
midway through the third quarter. They put their starters back
out there, they win by four. What more do you
need to see? This team should wipe the floor with everybody,

(06:20):
but it may not because of these damn rotations.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Victory lap time, victory lap time. I warned people, Now,
do I still think USA would win the Gold?

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (06:32):
But I've been warning people since I've seen this team
put together and paying attention to basketball just overall, this
is not gonna be the cakewalk that people think it is.
To see what happens in this business, we start to
do these false narratives and personal letters. Because I could
swear it was just about ten days ago there was
talk that this team was supposed to be better than
the original Dream Team Jordan Bird, Barkley, Chris s Mollin,

(06:58):
Larry Bird, Magic, David Robinson, Patrick Ewing. If this is
this team was better than all Halls, John Stockton, Carmelo,
all Hall of Famers except for Christian Layner.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
This team was supposed to be better.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Now I'll fight back again on the starting lineup along with.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
My illustrious co host here to my right.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
But I'm gonna add two names to it because I
don't really think these two guys should be on the team.
I would actually still bitch you mentioned the old guys
because you call them old guys, Lebron. My starting lineup
would be Steph, Ad and Tatum and Bam.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
That would be my starting lineup.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
This would be the perfect time for even those old guys,
as Martin is calling them to say Hey, we're on
the team, all right, cool, but we'll give way.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Look, we'll give way to the young bucks.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
Both these guys are still trying to go back to
their respective cities, right and lead their teams as older
guys to championships this year. At least that's what both
of them thinking, say Steph and Lebron. Katie's already hurt.
So that was another third person that I had in
there when we first started talking about Team USA. But
take Katie's out of the picture right now. But I
agree with you as far as what Kurr's doing. Is

(08:04):
he sandbagging Martin? Is he kind of just playing around
right now because these games don't matter?

Speaker 2 (08:10):
And when we get the parents, does the rotation change?

Speaker 3 (08:13):
Is he I'm hoping he's got a back pocket card
that no one else knows about but himself and the
coaching staff.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
Then they're like, listen, we got the dubbed today. If
we had a loss, it would have looked supremely embarrassing.

Speaker 6 (08:25):
JA.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
It would have been one.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
Of the biggest upsets in basketball history. Yeah, well sports history.
In my opinion, that's up there with Holy I mean.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
I haven't the thought on that, but literally, if you're
a forty three or forty eight point favorite and you
lose outright.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
Yeah goodness.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
But at the end of the day, I'm just hoping.
I don't know if I'm right or wrong, but I'm hoping.
Steve Kurr's like, look, maybe a loss would have been good.
Maybe these guys are feeling themselves a little too much,
and I got a rotation in my back pocket. Don't
worry about it. This game meant nothing. It meant everything
to Sudan. It meant nothing to the United States. It
really didn't in the grand scheme of things. It meant zero.

(09:03):
We've seen American basketball teams put our stars and NBA
players out there and lose. We can go back to
four and look at that run that they had there,
So we've.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
Seen it's nothing that you know. It's like, all right,
they they won at the end of the day.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
But as far as the rotation goes, I just think
this would have been a perfect time to just even
if your.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Current like go to the vest.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
Look, you you guys have put in your time in
the NBA time, you'll get plenty of playing time. Because
right he said, it's not about who's you know, gonna play.
Everybody's gonna play. Everybody's gonna normally average almost close The
top seven eight guys in the Olympics normally average close
to the same minutes per game. The leading score is
always between thirteen and sixteen points as far as USA
Olympic Basketball is concerned.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
I looked that up.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Some of the leaders over the last like ten Olympics
and seven sixteen points, some fifteen fourteen. It's in that range.
So nobody's gonna average twenty four and twenty two and
twenty one points for the USA team. This is ante game.
But you know, but one of these guys, could you
know what I'm saying. If it was just so spread
out as far as playing, I would really consider going.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
To the old guys.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
I know Lebron had twenty five today and hit the
game winning layup, But say, hey, we're.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Gonna we're gonna give in early group round. Let's give
the young guys.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
I'm gonna shake it up a little bit and a
D Tatum, Bam and Steph. That's the starting five going
into the the group stage, which is easily well, I
say easily win.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
You see today's game, but they gonna see something and
again they gotta play group.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, well and and now group. Hey, Mary,
I'm sorry to say this. In the group it's it's
gonna it's gonna be ugly.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
It's gonna gona be gonna get that point back.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
It's gonna you guys will beat somebody else in the group.
But when you play us A again.

Speaker 5 (10:47):
I don't know, wenn he listen?

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Will you play us A again?

Speaker 3 (10:53):
They remember today, They're gonna remember all the radio talk,
all the wait till tomorrow, I mean, excuse me, Monday,
wait till Monday morning comes and the.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
Show just buried his team that don't hear it, they'll
hear over there.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
And then then when the play your guys again in
the group stage, it'll go ugly, Martin bottom line. And
once again, I can't get too rouled up about today
because I know, I well, I heard you. I'm sitting
right next to you, but I'm not. I'm gonna let
you have that today. I'm normally the high octane upset
guy here, but I'm gonna let you have that today.

(11:25):
And in the grand scheme of things, I get what
you're saying about the lineup, but I'm gonna hold out
that Kerr and experienced championship coach. He's got a rotation
back pocket card. He just has not playing yet.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
Look, I mean I used to lift there. I used
to sit there and think Warriors fans are so spoiled.
They're sitting up there complaining about Steve Kerr. I get
it now, I get it now. I'm rooting for because
it's not after one game, it's after the four games. Okay,
still continues to try, I mean, starting to get beat.
At this point, it should it should be illegal. He

(11:57):
shouldn't be on the team real talk and being should
not be already. And Bean is not ready to play
on the world up.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
Like it's just not only that.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
He also looks like he's not ready to play anywhere
because of the knee. Feels like it's just his knee
seems like it's a step away from exploding at any minute.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
Mm hm.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
And you see, it's not just that, Like as soon
as Anthony Davis comes in the game, the entire tone
change changes every single game. As soon as Anthony Edwards
comes in the game, and he did not shoot well today,
But as soon as Anthony Edwards comes in the game,
the entire tone changes. Souths to Dan was having what

(12:34):
it doing whatever the hell they wanted for the first
whatever the church of that game. Then the sub the
bench team came in and it was like they were
in jail.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Let me ask you this because we pick on this
in the regular season. Lebron James does not play defense
guys like he once used to. And it's been it's
going on like year four now. It's not nothing renew
it's not nothing recent. He knows how to hide himself
down on the baseline and kind of point the teammates
and when they make a mistaken.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
Guys drop right by him.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
I caution people leading into this that on the world
level you have to defend because these other countries don't
play like us.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
They really do move the ball.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
There's not a lot of isolation going on with a
lot of these countries, and today weres moving the basketball.
That's why the defense looks like Swiss cheese. You talk
about Steph Curry, He's never been touted as a defending
point guard, and this is your starting point guard once
again on the world stage. You mentioned Embiid. Embiid isn't
a great defender, and it looks like he's a really

(13:30):
good defender. Not a great though, just I just said
not a great. Really good is not great. He's not
a great defender. But yes, I give you that he's
a really good defender, but he's not a great defender.
You could take him to the hole and score on him,
or pulling from the basket and drive around him. But
when you look at the other defenders on this team,
you talk about a d I.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Think that poll the reason why I balked at that.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Poland scoff that because such bs number one in my opinion,
I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but it is true.
The best two way player on this team is Anthony Davis.
Anthony Davis is the best player on this team. He
should definitely be in the starting rotation, and if he were,
he'd average probably about fifteen to sixteen points and lead
them in scoring in this Olympics. I think he will

(14:10):
be added Mark and I'll go out on the limb
when we start the Olympics, ad will be in the
starting lisit.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
That's the other thing that drives me nuts about this.
And we got to break after this. But like, this
is the time to try stuff out, This is the
time to find out who's gonna be in the starting lineup?
Why would you run the same one out you already have.
This is the time to figure it all out. These
are the games that don't matter.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
This is like it.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
I get it, I get it, and you know this
team hell, this ain't. May be better than the Dream
Team if Chuck Daly was coaching them. May he rest
in peace. Coming up next, there's a dynasty on the
way in the NFL?

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Or is there?

Speaker 1 (14:49):

Martin Weiss's VJ Husky NFL training camps rolling in.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
We'll dive into some of that in just a second.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
Here we're coming to you live from the tire iraq
dot com studios. If you want to join this conversation,
be sure to do so. Hit us up on Twitter.
I am at Martin Weiss. Vj's at Big Vanilla. Funny,
like Brian Albert said, King James ready for the Olympics
to start and take over. That makes one person on
the team, I guess, because Steve Kerse seems to sure

(16:39):
not be. And of course our boy little Chewy wren
Cone is out there talking about Houston history. It's DJ
Screws beat a birthday. He would have turned fifty three
had he not passed recipes to him.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
But VJ right now.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
I love some Houston stuff, man, I mean, man, Houston
hard hit us man.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Mary Mack, you liked that, didn't you? You aren't ready
for it? Huh? In the bag?

Speaker 1 (17:05):
Yeah, I contained multitudes the Kansas City Chiefs. Yeah, back
to back Super Bowl champs. Who stops them VJ from
going a third time in a row right now?

Speaker 2 (17:19):
Nobody? And it's because I told you guys that's sick.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Because I'm gonna tell you man, right now, they're the
Patriots to me, they went the Patriots eventually became where
I just I couldn't bet against them because I didn't
see anybody beat them on a consistent basis. You knew
Big Ben had a shot, You knew Peyton Manning had
a shot every now and then, maybe Philip Rivers had

(17:43):
a shot.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
That was it in the AFC for sixteen seventeen straight years. Guys.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
The Ravens caught one right, just named it go through
the AFC. Other than the Patriots, the Steelers and the Colts.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
That was it.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
And you knew they were at least getting to the
dev round because they were gonna win the AFC East,
so they weren't gonna play a wild card. You had
to go up there and play them on that crummy
field and cold and slush and sleep and rain and
fog and snow, and deal with Belichick's defense, and deal
with Tom Brady making plays throwing the ball to Gronk.
You knew they were divisional and AFC Championship game bound.

(18:21):
That was in C men. I now view the Kansas
City Chiefs that way. I've got to see somebody beat
them on a consistent basis in the AFC, and I've
only seen it once out of the last four years,
and that's the Bengals. That's the only team that's done it.
And I don't know if the Bengals bounce back this year,
So why would I pick anybody, even being my beloved Dolphins.

(18:43):
I gotta see them when we gotta win a playoff
game first before I even put them in the round
with the Chiefs. So for me, it's nobody until I
see it done. They will be my AFC pick this
year until I see somebody beat them. It's just foolish
to bet against Big Red Andy Reid the best coach
in football, Pat Mahomes the best quarterback in football, and

(19:05):
Arrowhead the best home field advantage in football. And you
gotta go play him in three degree wind chill factor.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
Have fun.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
The reason why I said that's sick is because I
thought I was being all smart and clever when I said,
in my head, the only team that can beat the
Chiefs this year is the Chiefs.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
Are the Chiefs are the Chiefs. Who's being I mean
that somebody's got to do it right.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
So I think you have a few things that line
everything that you said I line up with.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Right.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
First of all, doesn't seem to be a worthy competitor
in the AFC.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
Right.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
You know, maybe some teams that are growing and getting
better along the way, but.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
No, there's one team that can.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
But they but they had their shot last year and
they had them at home and didn't get it done.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
That was a Baltimore Baltimore had one team, but they
got to do it.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
But when you look at everything that Baltimore's lost this year,
I mean they lost two offensive lineman or three offensive lineman,
added Derek Henry, sure, but lost their defensive coordinator. He's
not a head coach of Seattle. There's been a lot
of drain out of Baltimore. They're gonna have to show
me some of the first few weeks before I just
go ahead and pencil them in as the AFC runner
up like they were last year.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
Right then you got, you.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
Know, flux in the division with Jim Harbaugh coming in,
Antonio Pierce staying along for the ride, and Sean Payton
doing god knows what would his quarterback situation, You know,
you gotta really ask.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
Maybe it all works out, maybe he lost his fastball.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Like obviously it's the offseason, and I don't take a
hard stance Martin, No, I won't. I think Sean Payton
is one of the best coaches that this game has
ever seen. But when you draft the sixth rated quarterback
with the twelfth pick in the draft, it makes me
wonder what's really going on there.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
But to me and you outlined a lot of it.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
But I'll touch on some of the others outside of
what's his name now, Oh, Trent McDuffie. Name another Chiefs
cornerback and that's not a pop quiz. The answer is
they don't have there's no household names there. Jerry Sneath
is in Tennessee now right. Deeves Bagnolo has been one

(21:03):
of the better defensive coordinators over the last couple of
years in Kansas City. His scheme is dependent on having
two lockdown corners to be able to do all the
exotic blitzes that he does. He's able to If he
can play it like that, then he has the ability
to send everybody that he wants on blitzes.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
Right, So you have that factor.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
You also have the factor of Travis Kelce, who is
now thirty four years old, like Ed, was nicked up
for most of the year last year start of the season,
Hurt ended up getting that week seventeen off and he
has set hisself on his numerous platforms that getting that
week off really helped him or his recovery and really
helped his situation as it stood. Right, So, like, how

(21:48):
do we feel about him now if he gets nicked again,
how does he feel about coming back? He's got a
much bigger lifestyle than he did at the start of
the season last year. And I'm not saying that he's
not dedicated to football or that it's a distraction or
anything like that, But I do think when you're thirty
fourth going on thirty five years old and you have
an injury, how hard are you working to get back

(22:10):
from it? How motivated are you to get back from
it? And I think that's something that lays on the entire team.
How motivated is this entire team to continue winning, especially
when you consider Patrick Mahomes coming into the training camp, right,
talking about, yeah, last year wasn't fun, but you know
what last year provided them A lot of doubters, right,

(22:32):
A lot of doubters.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
People say, oh.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Your waste Christmas shards set of a million times, they're
a wasting Mahomes is prime with guys like Marquez Voldev
Scantling and Kadarius Tony playing wide receiver, now there will
be there will be no doubters, right, There's nobody's gonna
sit there and take the eggle on their face again, right,
very few are gonna sit there and be like, oh,

(22:55):
I think the you know, and who would you even pick?

Speaker 2 (22:58):
To go ahead and try to like surpassed. There we
go the chiefs in the AFC.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
I have some ideas of teams that people will suggest,
but for the record, I'm picking Kansas City.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
Right now, let's kick in to Steve to saga.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
We'll continue this conversation after he's done updating us on
everything in the world of sports.

Speaker 2 (23:16):
State you're up, hello, gentlemen.

Speaker 9 (23:18):
US men's basketball with a shockingly close game against South Sudan.
Apparently at tip off they were favored by forty three
and a half points in this one and yet second quarter.
Most of the second quarter, the US was down fifteen
the Americans with about a minute and a half left
in this game in London, an exhibition and Olympic tune up.
The US led ninety nine ninety two late, but then

(23:40):
South Sudan went on an eight oh run to take
the lead with twenty seconds to go final US possession.
The ball was in the hands of Lebron Jazz seconds remaining,
so after a time out, South Sudan had a.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Shot six seconds left. Curley Jones on the drive for
the lead by Gabriel. The second datus comes out of
it and that is it. The United States holds.

Speaker 9 (24:13):
On for a win one oh one, one hundred the
final on Fox TV Anthony Davis Anthony Edwards with some
late d The US, the big favorite, will play South
Sudan again in the Olympics July thirty first, the Americans
Olympic Tournament starts a week from Sunday against Serbia. By
the way, there is one more tune up game in

(24:34):
London form on Fox TV Monday afternoon. It'll be the
US against Germany. The US Olympic Women's team has its
sendoff game in Phoenix tonight, starting up in a few
minutes against a team of WNBA stars. The league. The
WNBA is off for about a month. It's Olympic break.
American Billy Horschell leads the Open championship by one stroke

(24:55):
in Rainy Scotland. There's a six way tie for second place,
including Xandershaw and Justin Rose. Scottie Scheffler is only two
shots back. Linebacker Shaquille Barrett retired from the NFL after
nine seasons. He was cut by Tampa Bay this offseason.
The Saints side wide receiver and return man Rashid Shaheed
to a one year extension to Major League Baseball. The

(25:16):
Orioles are winning again, five to two at Texas in
the bottom of the fourth. The Pirates have won five
in a row and they're now in the lead against
the Phillies to nothing at the end of seven. Red's
lead four to three at Washington in the top of
the sixth inning, Royals lead the White Sox for nothing
in the bottom of the six. One White Sox writer
pointed out that after last night's loss, Chicago's team has

(25:38):
a record that's honoring Carlton Fisks, their former catcher, because
his old two numbers were twenty seven and seventy two.
That is the current win loss record for the Chicago
White Sox.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
Beec to you, Cole, twenty seven to seventy two, Mike, goodness.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
Clever as hell.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
That's funny all at the same did you see an again,
say twenty seven and seventy two? Yo? How do you
get up and going to work? I just want to know,
as a player, like do you so you know it's
over like now? Right? Oh? You if your record is
twenty seven and seventy two. You knew it was over

(26:15):
well before.

Speaker 3 (26:16):
Now you know it's over like now, I just I
just wonder what players are still you know, getting up
excited to get to the park, and which guys are
just like, man, I can'tnot.

Speaker 9 (26:24):
Let's put this in context. If the Oakland A's win
again tomorrow, they will have forty wins this year, twenty
seven forty.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
Last year, and last year they were the laughing joke
of the.

Speaker 9 (26:34):
And we still can't name but one or two Oakland
A's players out of twenty five twenty six on that roster,
even baseball fans, I mean.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
Yeah, the White Sox right now, a smooth thirty three
and a half back for the for the Als.

Speaker 3 (26:48):
All right, turning around, fellas, let's go.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
Listen, Misted VJ. Let's go.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
Here's the thing right now, I gotta feel like there's
guys still chipper and happy to go to work for
one reason, one reason only the Major League Baseball trade
deadline hasn't happened yet.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
Yeah, coming up soon.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
Yeah, so they're like, hey, anybody watching, Yeah, GARTT Crochet
is like police, did you guys see me in the
All Star Game?

Speaker 2 (27:14):
Look? I know you there's two teams in Chicago. I
promise I played for the other one. Get me out
of here.

Speaker 9 (27:19):
And players do think of that. I remember speaking to
Lamar Oden when he was a Clipper. He specifically in
the locker room said, you know other teams are watching.
We're playing because other teams are watching. Excuse me? Are
you wow?

Speaker 2 (27:31):
You actually said that.

Speaker 9 (27:33):
By the way, the Texas Rangers will be hosting these
White Sox in a four game series starting on Monday.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
Yeah, we need it nice to get out of Okay,
all right, there we go, baby, get a nice suite
and get this thing going in the opposite direction. And
we're still longer. We're still right there. Got if you
guys still coming back. I'm not lost. I haven't lost
hope of us grabbing a wild car. Even the divisions, see,
I don't act like they don't want it, so they
don't want it. The Astros out like they don't want it,
So Texas is still We're still right there.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
Only five back right now? Sorry, where's the trust me?
But I'm not panic at all.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
Everybody in the American League West? What is that a
five game margin right there? At everybody's right around five hundreds.
Who as bad as they are this year or what
double better than they were last year?

Speaker 3 (28:19):
They were in single digit wins for for the longest,
they were just a putrid, laughing stocking forth the flip
like that for the for the for the south side
shot socks man, that's just that's hey.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
Tigers eight and two in their last ten though, don't
I don't low look now, don't look now in Detroit,
and they started out hot.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
Remember they jumped out with surprising past, undefeated tam Yeah,
the surprising people, you know, with their record, and then
you know, went on to get.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
Defeated a lot. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (28:48):
I tell you what, Martin, you said, don't look now,
I'm not looking.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
For the top bro, macho man Savage in eighty eight.

Speaker 3 (28:59):
Okay, for the win, I got you, speaking of for
the win, VJ.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
If you had to power ranked teams in the AFC
right now that could challenge Kansas City, I think my
power rankings would go.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
Number three would.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
Be the Cincinnati Bengals, number two, the Baltimore Ravens, number
one the Houston Texans to challenge them to challenge Kansas
City in the postseason. If you had to pick three
teams who would they be and sell me on why
get to your AFC page.

Speaker 2 (29:36):
I know, I'm not sure if it's in that book. Listen,
you guys.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
VJ has regular like composition notebooks.

Speaker 2 (29:45):
Full of the wide rule line paper, full of note.

Speaker 6 (29:50):
Is he going to a football class right now?

Speaker 1 (29:52):
Legitimately they look like like one's labeled math and one's
labeled English and sign.

Speaker 6 (29:57):
My god, it's true. I actually see my own eyes. Yeah,
all right, listen, just real fast. I pride myself, you
guys know.

Speaker 3 (30:04):
I pride myself on my football knowledge and how I
speak football, and I feel like I could sit in any
studio in the world and talk football with anybody, doesn't matter.
But I'm proud of myself this year on being one
of the most prepped and prepared football radio guys on
the globe, not just it Here, not just it Fox,
not just in America, in the world. I'm proud of
myself this year on over prepping even more than I
did last season.

Speaker 2 (30:25):
All right, three teams, let's go to Baltimore Ravens.

Speaker 3 (30:27):
I disagree with you as far as the offensive lineman
stuff goes. That means they got guys that they can
plug in. I trust John Harball. I trust that coaching staff,
I trust that front office and ownership.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
They're always good.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
I don't know why they wouldn't be able to get
to twelve thirteen wins again, as long as Lamar listen,
Dereck Henery, people can knock that if they want a
guy that might got a season and a half.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
I think of.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
Upper echelon football left with a chip. Now, now you're
adding a chip to this RoboCop running back. Okay, with
the read the rpo with Lamar Jackson. Good luck on
the defensive end trying to read that thing man.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
And then I.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
Thinkay Jay is the next Tyreek. Kyo said that last year.

Speaker 3 (31:07):
I'll stick to I think he has a a much
better and this will be his breakout season. They would
be number one for me. Number two, uh would probably
be I would go with the Cincinnati Bengals. And that's
because Joe Burrow is so good when he plays. Jamar
Chase is so good when he's fully healthy. You gotta
receiver it Ary Higgins. That's gonna play on that deal

(31:27):
where he's actually asked for a trade now, so we'll
see he excuse me, that was Ayuk got asks for
a trade my correction, but he's gonna play on that,
you know, play this deal out and become a free agent.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
The defense just kind of still concerns me.

Speaker 3 (31:38):
But when you got Joe Burrow, you got those offensive
weapons that replaced Mix and Mix and went on to Houston,
that would be my only concern. In the secondary would
be my only concern. But Joe Burrow is the guy
I've seen go into Arrow Ahead and go toe to toe,
face to face with the best quarterback and the best
coaching football. And he walked out of winner and then

(32:00):
he should have done it again, but his defensive lineman
just wanted to get his hands on the quarterback and
shoving while he was kind of already out of bounds.
And then Mahomes flew eight yards into the bench and
the ref had no choice but to throw to fly.
He had no choice but to throw the fly. He
couldn't not throw it. So I've seen him be the
guy that could be there to do that Number three
for me, I'm gonna tell I mean, it's a three

(32:22):
eight and three B for me. I don't mind your
Texans pick. I'm not gonna I wanted to go on
the man. They only did it one year, they gotta
do it again. But proof is in the pudding. When
you add talent and you got digs, maybe plays, you
know nice all year long. You added mixing at the
running back position. You got Shultz at the tight end,
you got Nico, you got Tank, you got Brown, you
got some I mean some some real dudes to throw

(32:43):
the balls with. Lara montnso all pro left tackle. And
then you got CJ. Right and you got the defense,
and you got defensivehead of coach. You got Will Anderson
on the DEFENSI out of the ball, which I love.
So I do think they will be good this year.
I don't know if better than last year. I can
see them if they got to like ten to eleven
wins and that was like, okay, well there were at
ten wins last year. They're about the same football team
and that division I think is gonna be tougher than

(33:04):
people expect. And then also, I have to do this,
and I know people are gonna I gotta do it, though.
The three B would be my Miami Dolphins with the
number one offense last year, the number one quarterback, the
number one receiver. If the injuries don't strike, If you
guys seen the videos of Jalen Phillips.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
Have you seen the videos of Jalen Phillips. He'll be
back open the day.

Speaker 3 (33:21):
And I got towards a Chiles on Black Friday up
at matt Life Stadium. He looks like a man possessed
and running full speed, running the ladder, running the cones.
They'll take it easy on him through training camp. He
probably won't play a lot of preseason, if any, but
he will be ready. We'll have that back. I love
Poyer added to the defensive side of the ball. New
defensive coordinator, good energy there. We have Jalen Ramsey all

(33:42):
year long. We don't have him out until November now
and then once again, you just can't knock the offense.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
The offense is what it is.

Speaker 3 (33:48):
Acha miss six games is not gonna miss six games
this year hopefully Moster Wilson Junior. We have the weapons.
Wilde got his money, so he's fine. He's paid you
bringing John new Smith. I know one person didn't get
his money though, Yeah, one.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
Guy didn't get his money yet.

Speaker 3 (34:01):
I'm trying to stay away from that because I feel
like if I keep talking about it, it's gonna prolong it.
So I don't want to jinx it. I think they're
gonna they're gonna get the deal done. I think they'll
get the deal done, just depends on what the number's
gonna be. So that would be my team's give me Baltimore, first,
give me Cincinnati, and then at three it's gonna be
a switch there too. The thing about the Texans, and
I want to make sure people get this, they are
the only team in the league I believe that have

(34:22):
three back to back road games, three separate back to
back road games this year.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
I got the teams written down.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
I'll give it to you later the show if I can't,
But that to me is going to make or break
their season, whether they are division winners, big time playoff
achievers this year or they take you know, the Baverial
step back and you know, like they say, the sophomore
the sophomore slump. So that's how I feel about the Texans.

(34:50):
Actually those back then also too.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (34:52):
Three games that I don't like also for them, Dallas
Baltimore case they have the seventh hardest schedule Baltimore.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
The Houston Texans do coming up next. This guy said
he's got to get out of here. Before they've ruined
his effing life. I'm paraphrasing just a little bit though,
but is it true. We'll get to that coming up next.
Martin Wis VJ Husky Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 7 (35:13):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot Com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to
listen live.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
So from Netflix, Star to everywhere else in the world,
it seems Davante Adams is out here. I'm Martin WISEVJ
Husky joining me here on Fox Sports Radio the Martin
and VJ Show, and we coming to you live from
the Tyraq dot com studios.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
VJ he went to the place to go.

Speaker 1 (35:44):
Apparently, if you want to Europe statements to get out
Club Shaysha, If you want to make front page news,
call Shannon Sharp because apparently he's got the couch to
do it on But uh. Davante Adams had said recently,
if he were to be reunited with anybody, it'd be
Aaron Rodgers. Then his ages came out and said unequivocally

(36:07):
that's not true. There's no trade rumors. Deavante's happy in Vegas.
And then on Club Shay Schae. Divanta Adams said, well,
you know, I may be happy in Vegas, but I'd
be happier if Tom Brady was my quarterback paraphrasing.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
But that's the gist in the general idea going on here.

Speaker 3 (36:23):
I don't buy it. I don't buy none of this stuff. Man,
he wants out, and he's gonna get out. They have
got to move him. I saw all I needed to
see on receiver. He doesn't want to be there. I
know the Jimmy Garoppolo stuff was enough to kind of
hide all of that.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
I believe.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
But going into this season eight and o'connells' quarterback, and
you can't tell me that's much better. If it is
better than Jimmy Garoppolo, they start off one in five,
two and six or something like that. That's that's moving
towards the trade deadline. That's week seven, week eight. He's
gonna start to be unhappy. He's gonna start to show
it sooner or later. He's not gonna sit and be

(36:59):
a good good boy and sit on his hands. He's
gonna make sure everything he wants to say is heard
and get out of there. I don't buy his agent
coming out with that long soliloquy of no, there's no trade,
he's happy here, there's no requests.

Speaker 7 (37:11):
No that.

Speaker 3 (37:12):
Yeah, that's what you're supposed to come out and say,
because it's not gonna look good now going into training
camp starts in less than a week, and you got
your main receiver out here, you know, with these rumors
that this thing made TV. I saw Damien Woody and
Greeney talking about it. I and this was after you
mentioned it to me, and I'm like, oh wow, I
didn't know that. I didn't think any show would actually

(37:32):
give this any credence and would actually give us any wills,
but people did. So he's gotta come out and say
this is not His agents.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
Are his representatives, right, they represent his best interest. They
wouldn't be saying something that he didn't feel like. So
I don't understand. I don't see the motivation for his
agents to say Davonte wants to be in Vegas unless
Davante told them to say, we want I want to
be in Vegas, Like you know what I'm saying. If
I'll put it like this, if his agents and in

(38:00):
fact just kind of floated that out on their own,
I imagine he'll quickly be having new agent.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
No, no, I don't think if they floated out on his own,
I'll give you that. If he told him that, I'm
just saying I'm not buying it. I'm not buying Davonte
wants to be in Vegas at all. Davonte wants to
go play with a championship caliber style quarterback. He does
not want to play with Aidan O'Connell. I'm not buying it.
I'm not gonna buy it. And trust me, if you

(38:25):
just sit and watch and listen, most people, if you
sit and think, you won't start buying it either. He
wants out of it now. Is it Aaron Rodgers and
the Jets? Is it somewhere else? I just think he's
gone by the trade deadline. I do not believe he
will play this full season. And that was something else
that was in the quote from representatives. He's gonna play though,
he's gonna be a Raider this year. Okay, yeah, how long?

(38:46):
How long is it gonna be a Raider this year?
I'm just I'm not buying it. And if I'm Davonte,
I don't want to rough no feathers just yet. But
I just I just feel this is just something I
feel markin now. We'll watch it closely, but I just
feel like he doesn't want to be it.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
So but the thing is Deavonta Adams, the thing that
I found out watching Netflix, to me is that he
has no problem sharing his opinion at all. Right, So
if in fact that he wanted to be out, now,
why would he be not saying it to that point?
You know what I'm saying, Like he could have very
much had his agent say yes, have his agents say

(39:21):
nothing at all, and be making the calls behind the scenes,
because we see guys get traded every day.

Speaker 3 (39:27):
My answer to that would be, and that's not to
be pushing on your opinion. I'm just asking the question
that you know absolutely I'm not taking it away because
I got a rebuttal for it. You're close to Camp.
I do think he's a classy guy. I do think
he's a good guy. I do think he wants to
kind of be perceived as a good guy. Do the
right thing, and now it might it might be a

(39:47):
little too late, Like this is probably the wrong time
to be saying you want to be traded. Camp is
in less than ten days, So let me do it
the right way let me get in camp. Maybe in
camp he pitches fit, which we've seen, but to do
it going into camp, let's I think maybe there's still
some good quality about the guy there, but I just
feel he doesn't want to truly want to be there,

(40:09):
in just my opinion.

Speaker 1 (40:10):
The WNBA All Star Game underway here, Team USA leading
the WNBA eighteen to fifteen with about two minutes left
in the first quarter. You know it's a I suppose
that's Team USA were in the white. Yes, yeah, okay,
all right, there we go.

Speaker 2 (40:26):
Tam USA win in white. How do you know about
this court?

Speaker 1 (40:29):
This is a the n Season Tournament should take notes
because they obviously have dressed up the court here at
the foot per center. It looks a lot better than
anythink the n Season Tournament put together last year.

Speaker 7 (40:39):
Though.

Speaker 3 (40:39):
Yeah, as Aj Wilson just bangs down a jumpie as
she hits a little jumpy there. Now, it's been a
good guy. As was already three for five, seven points.
She's the league's best player.

Speaker 2 (40:49):
Covering up decks.

Speaker 1 (40:49):
We'll see who VJ thinks is the league's best teams
in the NFL and top ten wide receivers Martin White
vjer Husky Fox Sports Radio. That's right, and we're broadcasting
live from the ti rack dot com studios ti iraq
dot com.

Speaker 2 (41:04):
We'll help you get there with.

Speaker 1 (41:05):
The unmatched selection, fast free shipping, freebrand as a protection.
How many times do you have to say it before
you memorize it? Over ten thousand recommended that the dollars
ti rack dot com it's where that tire buying should be.
How about an All Star game VJ where the players
actually are giving.

Speaker 2 (41:24):
A down Listen, I got a question for you.

Speaker 1 (41:27):
Yeah, so Kelsey on Kelsey crime just there between Kelsey
Missle and Kelsey Plump pushing each.

Speaker 3 (41:32):
Other around, uh calling forms. Let me ask you this question.
I feel me on this. What's USA team me to
win today? The men are the women? The men already won,
But can the women really lose this game to basically
a second rate team? Because all the USA team is, right,

(41:56):
supposed to be the top twelve to fifteen best players, right,
So this All Star team they're playing.

Speaker 2 (42:01):
Against, it's like the second rate team. They can't lose this.
Let me just let me set it up for the fans.

Speaker 3 (42:07):
I told Mark when it started, we're watching game one team,
I said, the USA team. They're gonna play hard, They're
gonna try to beat the living hell out of this
WNBA All Star team because they can't lose this game
with all the talk about Kaitlyn Clark being on the
Olympic team and the negativity that's come to the WNBA
long with all the positivity too. You could you imagine

(42:29):
Monday morning if they lose this game to the w
NBA All Stars. You're supposed to be the best twelve
to fifteen women in the country and you can't beat
the second rate players in your own league.

Speaker 1 (42:41):
Well, the last time that they had this matchup, right
was twenty twenty one, and the Team WNBA won the game.

Speaker 2 (42:48):
Oh see that didn't well, Okay, there we go.

Speaker 1 (42:50):
So obviously you can't do first Team USA every year
because there isn't an active Olympias set every year, right,
So in years past they did Team Wilson and Team
Stewart the last three. But twenty twenty one, Team WNBA
beat Team USA ninety three to eighty five, So it's
not unheard of. And I think that you know, will

(43:11):
Team USA is obviously a great team. The WNBA. You know,
the other players on the WNBA side of things. They're
no slouches over there either.

Speaker 2 (43:21):
No.

Speaker 3 (43:21):
But but the USA team is supposed to be the
best twelve to fifteen women in America to represent them
ARAA and they.

Speaker 2 (43:30):
All come from the w NBA. But you feel me, right,
I get what you're saying.

Speaker 1 (43:36):
But I think the difference is is if you were
ranking the best twelve American women basketball players, I think
it's probably hard for either Caitlyn Clark or Angelies to
be left off of that list, right, if you're talking
about the best twelve. Now, if you're talking about Team USA,
which is a collect obviously twelve Americans, but they've been
practicing together for a while, that's with the whole argument

(43:58):
why Caitlyn Clark wasn't there. That exactly the best twelve,
Like Team USA basketball men's basketball, that's not the twelve
best American basketball players.

Speaker 2 (44:07):
Right.

Speaker 1 (44:07):
They build in a team, of course, Yeah we know that. Yeah,
well they fit in. They fit in different, like like
Derek White. They part of the reason why, I mean
the quiet part out loud when they picked Derek White
was he's gonna be on the bench, guys, He's not
gonna play, yeah right, like he's like, so they were like,
we want a guy who's not afraid to be not
gonna be gonna be okay with sitting on the bench,

(44:28):
whereas another star alaid Dalan Brown may be like, what
do you mean You're gonna play Lebron thirty five minutes
over me?

Speaker 2 (44:35):
Right? You know what I'm saying? So I think, so
why I understand your overarching point.

Speaker 1 (44:40):
But there's look, if the men had lost to South
Sudan today man forty three and a half point favorites,
without taking anything away from the opponent, it would have
been the biggest upset in basketball history. Oh my god,
it's funny.

Speaker 2 (44:55):
Man.

Speaker 3 (44:56):
I'll tell you what a USA men's game they got.
They got America. I can't wait to hear the rest
of them talk tomorrow and Monday. I can't wait to
hear what said. And they play Monday. So everybody's gotta
get their stuff out tomorrow Monday morning because they play
Monday afternoon. Put Steve Kerr in the second bench.

Speaker 2 (45:12):
Tyl you're up.

Speaker 1 (45:14):
Oh, I gonna coach the team now, Tyl Lou, you're up.

Speaker 3 (45:18):
Yeah, Lebron to get blamed. I won't even blame him
for that one. But Lebron would get blamed for that one.

Speaker 1 (45:22):
Well, if anybody who's watched these starting lineups the last
four of these exhibition matches would know, Steve Kerr, Yeah,
the seat is warming up, Pale, the seat is warming up,
all right.

Speaker 2 (45:33):
VJ. Yes, you had your very big VJ.

Speaker 1 (45:37):
Husky's top ten predictions. You would have died into the
team ones first.

Speaker 3 (45:42):
Uh No, it was the receivers first. Knock yourself out,
all right, So receivers, thanks you. I appreciate it. So
I put together on my top ten receivers going into camp. Okay,
thieves can change into camping preseason, and I'll go as
fast as I can. Number ten, give me cd Lamb
last year won thirty five and catch us first seventeen
forty nine and yards second, twelve tds third and fortieth

(46:03):
and per catch at thirteen yards per catch. He's very
coachable because I've seen the improvement. I still need to
see the drops in the fumbles. They need to come up.
But I tell you games like against Detroit thirteen for
two twenty seven in a touch, and he had four
straight games where he went for one seventeen one fifty six,
one eighty one, one fifty one and no Sauce Gardner,

(46:24):
mister grabby hands, he let him up four eleven for
one forty three. Give me cd Lamb at number ten.

Speaker 1 (46:29):
Was reports today that the Cowboys are apparently prioritizing ced
Lamb in their three headed contract negotiation.

Speaker 3 (46:36):
Monster, which I'm not I still say micaeh first, but
I'm not mad. If they're gonna go there because you
need a pass catch, well, you could tag Michael, so
that's that's true, but I would pay Mike. I think
tagging him pisses him off and they lose him. As
I said before, number nine, give me miss the study.
I call him miss his study. Mister Amari Cooper doesn't
get the credit that he should. But it's just always
been very steady. Last year seventy two catches, twelve fifty

(46:57):
five touchdowns. I need him to have a nose the
end zone a little more. But he also played with
a bunch of different quarterbacks and did have to settle
playing with Flacco towards the.

Speaker 2 (47:06):
End of the year. Uh.

Speaker 3 (47:07):
He Actually I need more touchdowns out of him. He
had five four games where he went for no touchdowns.
Then he had five games straight where he went for
no touchdowns. So two different spans right there. Had some
good games against some purfle really good defenses. Houston had
eleven catches for two sixty five or two touches. And
against San Francisco. Yeah, against San Francisco four for one
oh eight. That's over twenty five yards catch right there.

Speaker 2 (47:29):
So give me him him.

Speaker 3 (47:31):
Yeah, I always thought that was a huge mistake. So
give me him at number nine, number eight. I like
this kid, pookin the Coup, Love his size, love his toughness.
I need more end zone dances for him too. He
reminds me of a bigger Steve Smith. If you put
Steve Smith's old tape on. Pookin the Coup runs routes,
very tough, very hard to tackle, very tough to get down.

(47:53):
Did lowers his shoulder doesn't get out of bounds. He's
gonna punish you being six two or two twelve. His
toughness is what I really really some big games for
him against San Francisco and that vaulted defense fifteen for
one forty seven Pittsburgh and that vaulted defense eight for
one fifty four, and against.

Speaker 2 (48:09):
The number one Cleveland Brown.

Speaker 3 (48:10):
Defense last year four for one oh five in a
touch He's just a big game guy man. When big
time opponents show up. He has big games against the
better opponents in the league. Give me him at number eight,
number nine. I call him today's art monk our guy,
Keenan Allen. Give me Keenan Allen at number seven.

Speaker 9 (48:28):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (48:28):
Even though he has missed eleven games in the last
two years, he's still very steady. He's a professional. He's
actually a really great blocker. His age is my question
mark going into this season. Between twenty and seventeen and
twenty twenty one, he only missed two games. Here's a
stat I found it. I found very surprising. Do you

(48:49):
know how many double digit touchdown seasons he has? Who's
Keenan Allen?

Speaker 1 (48:54):
What do you think it would be?

Speaker 3 (48:56):
Four?

Speaker 2 (48:57):
What do you think, Patrick?

Speaker 3 (48:57):
You got to guess on that double digit touchdown seasons?

Speaker 2 (49:01):
Less than you'd expect.

Speaker 6 (49:02):
I'm gonna say Lessen, I'm gonna take the under. I
don't think he's gonna make theule digits.

Speaker 3 (49:08):
WHOA never never had zero? Surprise? Right surprising? I found
out It's like WHOA, hold up, Keenan I has never
had at least ten touchdown receptions.

Speaker 2 (49:19):
No, so I need exactly.

Speaker 3 (49:21):
For as steady as he is, he's just a guy
that honestly donet finding you. We talk about sixteen seventeen
games and you only getting eight and seven touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (49:29):
That's that to me.

Speaker 3 (49:30):
That's middle of the road wide receiver touchdown production.

Speaker 2 (49:34):
He has to catch it. He has the yards.

Speaker 3 (49:35):
But I have him at number seven because I think
he's just still a steady, top ten receiver. He's plugging play.
I think he'll help out Caleb a lot of Chicago.
I don't think it'll just be this major step. The
Bears take a lot of people other dude number six
for me, man, give me a j Brown. I know
he kind of disappeared towards late at the end of
the season last year, but.

Speaker 2 (49:53):
He and Philly disappeared well the last Yeah, they lost
five in their last.

Speaker 1 (49:58):
Big Dom got benched. I think fell apart. He loves
the security guard, guys. He loves the security guard.

Speaker 6 (50:04):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (50:05):
Earlier in the year, he had a six of eight
games spanning yards where he went for one thirty one,
one seventy five, one twenty seven, one thirty one, one
thirty seven and one thirty He was unguardable, but he
only had one one hundred yard games for the rest
of the season after Week eight, and that was against
your Seattle Seahawks. Uh. Big Pat had eight for one

(50:26):
fourteen against San Francisco. I love his size once again.
He's also a really good blocker his career so far
guys fifty nine to forty seven and fifteen point seven
of pop. That's third excuse me, thirty thirds since twenty nineteen.
As far as average goes, he reminds me of a
Brandon Marshall style receiver.

Speaker 2 (50:44):
What do you make of the reports?

Speaker 1 (50:47):
Uh, Nick Sirianni and Jalen hurt saying there was a
disconnect that they kind of let me just go ahead
and say it.

Speaker 2 (50:55):
Athletics Dana Versin.

Speaker 1 (50:57):
He said, the head coach of quarterbacks still need to
work on the relationship to squash to quote disconnect they
endured in the twenty twenty three seasons quote.

Speaker 2 (51:03):
Due to their personalities.

Speaker 1 (51:05):
Now let's remember now who Jalen Hurts has played for
in his career and who Nick Sirianni is coaching his career. Right,
Jalen Hurts, he had no problem, you know, playing for
Nick Saban and Lincoln Riley, you know, So it's like
when you. When I read this, it's kind of feels
to me that like Jalen Hurts was looking at Nick
Sirianni as saying like, bro, well you grow up a

(51:28):
little bit.

Speaker 7 (51:29):
I know.

Speaker 2 (51:30):
I'm with you. I didn't balk that that was your
big thing about him.

Speaker 3 (51:33):
You're you're saying your line was someone in the room
has to be the adult, and I agree.

Speaker 2 (51:38):
I agree with you.

Speaker 3 (51:39):
I don't mind the moxieing, the trash talking, but if
it comes off immaturely like Dan Hurley, I killed Dan
Hurley for the same thing, then I can say, Okay,
I get what people are saying about Sirianni. Hopefully he's
grown up this offseason. I look for the Eagles. It's
about back with a healthy Jalen Hurts at in sant
Kwan Barkley number five, your guy for your beloved Detroit line.

(52:00):
Give me A'marron Saint Brown aka I call him Coca
Cola now because his dad famously said, drink a coke,
my dumb ass, go to the grocery store and get
a six pack of coke a week ago and drunk
three within like a two and a half day, and
and got bloated from all that sugar because I don't
drink sugary drinks and I forgot how much sugar soda
hazard it. But he's right. You talk about ze, you

(52:23):
talk about waking you up.

Speaker 2 (52:25):
Legit.

Speaker 1 (52:25):
Yesterday Mario wasn't feeling well and I went and got
a coke and I was here drink half of this.

Speaker 2 (52:30):
Man.

Speaker 1 (52:30):
If it works for if it works for mister universe, yeah,
it's gonna work for us regularly.

Speaker 3 (52:34):
And I fell in love with the guy on receiver.
I said, you know what, I'm gonna try that. I
went to the grocery store and got a six pack
of plastic bottle coke and drunk one back to back
mornings and didn't have coffee.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
He's right, it gives you a go.

Speaker 3 (52:46):
I was all day with my kids, but I crashed
because it's sugar instead of the caffeine, and like and
like and like coffee.

Speaker 2 (52:54):
But I'm around Saint Brown.

Speaker 3 (52:55):
Last year one hundred nineteen catches, fifteen fifty ten touchdowns,
which I love, always double digit touchdowns. I love this
kid mark because he's improved every year. Checked this rookie
year nine to twelve. Second year eleven sixty one. Last
year fifteen to fifteen. The touchdowns have gone from five
to six to ten. The catchers have gone from ninety
one oh six to one nineteen tough, great hands on

(53:16):
what I love what I wrote down here and highlighted.
He has a great understanding for competition. Why wouldn't he.
It's in his DNA. His brother plays for the Bears,
and his father has He's like a five time mister Stuff.
He's like a three time Mister This, and then like
a two time misters two.

Speaker 1 (53:32):
Time mister World, and then three timese.

Speaker 3 (53:35):
So he's a five time World bodybuilding champion. His dad
had him, bitch pressed him before the kid can read.
He gets competition and he aligns with what Dan Campbell
wants to do.

Speaker 7 (53:45):
There.

Speaker 3 (53:46):
I just I love this kid. I love his attitude
and the way he goes about the game. Number four
if Megatron was if Calvin Johnson was Megatron, this guy
is Optimus Prime, one of Martin and I his favorites.
Give me Mike Williams at Number Force. Give me Mike Evans.
Mike Evans, Mike Evans. I'm sorry, Mike Williams.

Speaker 2 (54:08):
I know, I'm sorry. Sorry.

Speaker 1 (54:09):
He's just got all due respect to Mike Will no shade.

Speaker 2 (54:13):
Partner, good luck in New York. My mistake, Mike Evans.

Speaker 3 (54:20):
I call this guy he is oft them as prime
another tag I put on him. We already know what
a franchise quarterback is, right, this guy is a franchise receiver.
There's a difference between wide receiver one and a franchise receiver.
Everybody's got a wide receiver one. Everybody does not have
a franchise receiver. Jerry Rice, Tim Brown, Megatron, Randy Moss.

(54:44):
Those are franchise receivers. Meaning it don't matter what else
you got, It really don't. That guy is what everybody
is hinging their game plan to stop. You gotta stop
this guy. Yeah you got Jamon Tanna, Roger Craig, but
if you don't stop eighty, it don't match these It
don't matter about these two guys. You gotta stop him first.
And it's very rare when you line up against the

(55:04):
Bucks on offense. You gotta stop him first before Baker
and anything else. Check this guy out right here because
he'll ruin thirteen or ruin your day.

Speaker 1 (55:13):
So there's four through ten who made the top three.
Find out next. Martin Wis' VJ Husky Fox Sports Radio,
We'll have the top three of vj's pre camps up.
Just change list of wide receivers coming up in just
a moment. Martin Wis VJ Husky coming to your life
from the ti rack dot Com studios.

Speaker 2 (55:33):
Hit us up with your two cents on Twitter.

Speaker 1 (55:35):
I'm at Martin Wis's VJ at Big Vanilla Funny and
I've always said this, if I played baseball, this would
be my walk up song spottyaty Dope Delicious.

Speaker 3 (55:44):
You walk on this, Okay, I know I didn't think,
of course, dude, I love this song. I just didn't
think that this would be a Martin style walk up
song for you.

Speaker 2 (55:54):
I get picked.

Speaker 3 (55:55):
Oh no, I would. I couldn't see him walking up
to this. I'm cool with it, but it's shock gonna
be like this would be his walk up.

Speaker 2 (56:03):
So this is a home run right here.

Speaker 1 (56:06):
Okay, shortly after the show our podcast we'll be going
up and he missed any Today show. Be sure to

Speaker 2 (56:32):
Of the air. That's the best accent is Luke. Now,
what's so terrible? Wait?

Speaker 6 (56:38):
Wait VJ, now say pot say the podcast like your
like your Terrell Owens talking about Tony Romo.

Speaker 1 (56:47):
It's my podcast, Man's podcast mess podcast on podcast Man.

Speaker 2 (56:54):
We'll have another opportunity to do that. I'm glad we
made that reading.

Speaker 1 (56:57):
To something fun because quite honestly, it's ridiculous, and when
I hear other people doing it.

Speaker 2 (57:01):
I'm just like, don't you think this is ridiculous too?

Speaker 1 (57:03):
Anyway, what's ridiculous really is that we both said it
independent of each other, VJ. As we're sitting here watching
this w NBA All Star Game, Well, we both said, Wow,
they're really trying, and it's it's ridiculous because the rest
of the All Star games that we have in various sports,
Pro Bowl, whatever you want to call it, it's like.

Speaker 2 (57:29):
Like it's all a big snow.

Speaker 1 (57:30):
I don't have the Pro Bowl in the NFL anymore.
I'm sorry the flag, football skills whatever, it's gone. But
you know what I'm saying, Like we sitting there watch
the NBA Allstar I ain't nobody cares. Nah, these women
are out here competing at a high level.

Speaker 3 (57:44):
Yes, elbows, forearms, real defense, pump fakes, you know, pump
face and then throwing the shoulder into Asian Wilson's gut
with the fallaway bucket Britney Grinder with the up and
under through the elbow and got the jump hook the
fall like just earlier that both of us like, ooh,
exactly the day shit was like, Okay, Saucy, I just

(58:06):
told Mark doing commercial break, I said, I'm gonna go
home tonight and rewatch this game because I want to
hear because i know the commentators are you know, are
selling it in the Crowdses, I'm gonna go rewatch.

Speaker 2 (58:16):
We have it up in the studio.

Speaker 3 (58:17):
But it's hard to, you know, watch and do a
live syndicated national radio show every Saturday and trying to
watch sports at the same time. But like like Mart said,
these ladies are ball in respect, hats off. It's competitive
like an All Star game should be. But Marnin, you're
old enough to you're not that young. I think Mary
and Patrick, you guys have probably always seen pretty much
like half ass NBA All Star games. But I did

(58:39):
grow up in a time that showmanship for about a
quarter and a half. Then in the second quarter they
start through wrap it up a little bit because you
don't want to go into the half down. Then in
the second half, in the third quarter, the NBA they
it's ball time, like it was a game. It wasn't
guys laying down while somebody was coming for or dunk
and everybody launching thirty seven foot three pointers after one another,

(59:00):
one another one, and it was it wasn't closed so
that it used to actually mean something. But this Women's
All Star Game WNBA versus the world right now, but
in the USA right now.

Speaker 1 (59:10):
Outstanding. Great job, ladies, it's been a lot of good hoop.
All right, Veja, let's go ahead, yes, wrap up all right.

Speaker 2 (59:17):
Number three, it's my man who wants some of debo.

Speaker 3 (59:22):
Samuel I put a number three, number one, big fast,
his play usage, his acceleration, he's just he's big playability
and he does so much for San Francisco. We saw
when he was out for three games last year. Rock
Purty took a lot of flak from radio on TV people.
Why because he did not look the same. He still
had Ayyuk, he still had Kittle, and he still had

(59:45):
Christian McCaffrey, but you did not have Who wants some
of debo? I know people love CMC, but who wants
some of debo? Makes this thing?

Speaker 2 (59:54):
Go?

Speaker 3 (59:54):
Check these numbers out right here, two hundred and eighty
three catches in his career on four hundred twenty nine
targets since he's been in the league since twenty nineteen,
over forty two hundred yards combined receiving. And that's not
to mention the rushing that he does. To me, he's
that high because he means so much to his offense.
Number two is my man, Sweet Tooth aka Justin Jefferson.

(01:00:19):
Justin Jefferson. I call him sweet toothk not because he
like all that candy, but I mean the candy man.

Speaker 2 (01:00:22):
The sugar is not good. That's why you pulled your
hamstring last year.

Speaker 3 (01:00:25):
NFL record first four years four thousand, eight hundred and
ninety nine yards his route running. Check this out, Martin.
This guy's a chain mover. He has a total of
two hundred and sixty four first downs his first.

Speaker 2 (01:00:38):
Four years in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (01:00:39):
That's sixty six first downs per season, So sixty six
of his catches that's about half right are going for
first downs. His hands, his stride. I love when he
gets in the open field. He get that long, fast
stride going reminds me of Randall Cunningham playing the receiver position.

Speaker 2 (01:00:58):
Go back and look at Randall Kunneam. Scramble and get
into the open field. You'll go okay. Great comparison. VJ.

Speaker 3 (01:01:03):
Love the hands to only three fumbles in his career,
does not drop the ball a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:01:08):
I love the progression.

Speaker 3 (01:01:09):
Rookie year fourteen hundred, second year sixteen hundred, third year
eighteen hundred. Catches were eighty eight, one oh eight, one
twenty eight. He just keeps getting better and better. Miss
seven games last year, still one thousand, seventy three yards
fifteen point eight per He is a man.

Speaker 1 (01:01:26):
That means that number one must be Davonte Adams.

Speaker 6 (01:01:30):
He didn't make my top ten, and I pushed him out.
I think touched them out. I think I know who
number one is. Martin almost, I pushed him out, almost.

Speaker 3 (01:01:38):
Patrick, you know who number one is. He's the best
receiver in football. He's he's the most dangerous.

Speaker 2 (01:01:45):
Receiver top ten.

Speaker 3 (01:01:48):
Whould you just say, yep, Jamar Chase is af my
top ten. I got a reason for him, though. I
got a reason for Jamar Chase. The number one receiver
on my pre can list. It's none other than Tyreek
Kill first last year and yards, first, en, touchdown, second,
en catches.

Speaker 2 (01:02:00):
He's a game changer, guys. He's the only receiver in.

Speaker 3 (01:02:03):
Football that when he catches the ball and there's not
a guy there to immediately tackle him, you think he
can go score. Tell me I'm wrong. You think he
can go score. Every's like Steph Curry shooting a three.
You just kind of think they're all going in Pat
Mahomes on the last second drive. You just think he's
gonna go score. Tyreek Hill is that guy. Also to

(01:02:24):
availability thirty four games in Miami, has played thirty three
of them, three five hundred nine yards and twenty touchdowns.
Last year led the league's seven one hundred yard games
a two hundred yard game. He's the ultimate offensive weapon, guys.
His set up, his routes, his speed, his breakdown. Tyreek
Hill he would have went for two thousand if not
banged up last year missing half a game and then
missing another game. He's my number one receiver, So Tyreek Hill,

(01:02:47):
Justin Jefferson who won some of Adebo, Mike Evans Optimus
Prime at number four, I'm around Saint Brown Coca Cola
at five. AJ Brown is six, Keenan Allen at seven,
Puka Naku at eight, give me Amari Cooper, and nine
is Cee Thee Lamb at ten.

Speaker 1 (01:03:02):
There's zero world where Phuka Nakua is better than Devontae
Adams or right now or Jamar Chase. But that's a
conversation for after we kick it to Steve the second
for everything trending on the world worse.

Speaker 2 (01:03:14):
Steve, you're up.

Speaker 9 (01:03:15):
Let's start with the US Olympic Women's basketball team playing
it's sendoff game in Phoenix against a team of WNBA stars.
Final seconds of the first half, team USA up fifty
four to fifty for the team USA side Breonna Stewart
with fourteen points in thirteen minutes on the court, Asia
Wilson with thirteen points so far, and for a team

(01:03:36):
WNBA rookie Caitlin Clark oh of four from three point range,
just two points in the first half. Necka Gumaka with
eight points in ten minutes on the court. Monday afternoon
on Fox TV, it'll be the US men against Germany,
last of the tune up games. I believe the last
women's tune up is the next day FS one against Germany.
But today the US men's basketball team was on Fox

(01:03:58):
TV and almost lost to South sudann final was one
oh one one hundred because of a late layup by
Lebron James. He scored twenty five points in twenty three minutes.
James with seven assists, four turnovers. The Americans trailed by
sixteen late in the first half and from three point
range started one for thirteen. In fact, the US had
nine turnovers in the first half. That has been a

(01:04:20):
problem even though the US is now four to oh
in these exhibitions. American Billy Horschell leads the Open Championship
by one stroke in Scotland at Royal truon lots of
rain there today there's a six way tie for second place,
including Xander Schaffley and Justin Rose Scotti. Scheffler's only two
shots back. Shane Lowry shot a third round seventy seven

(01:04:41):
and fell to ninth place, three shots behind linebacker Shaquille
Barrett retired from the NFL after nine seasons. The Saints
side wide receiver Rashid Shaheed to a one year extension.
He was the league's All Pro punt returner last season.
To Major League Baseball. Among the games in progress, the
Padres lead seven nothing at Cleveland and the bottom of
the eighth, just one hit for the Guardian so far.

(01:05:03):
Top of the eighth, Diamondbacks lead three to nothing at
the Cubs. Bottom of the eighth, Brewers leading one nothing
at Minnesota Twins with just two hits so far. To
the top of the eighth, the Oriols are winning again
seven to two at Texas and in DC Nationals five
to four over the Reds in the top of the
ninth on Fox TV. For much of the country, it's
the Red Sox leading the Dodgers in LA four to three.

(01:05:25):
In the top of the eighths, Detroit won its fourth
game in a row, seven to three at Toronto. Pittsburgh
won its sixth game in a row, four to one
over the Phillies. By the way, Philadelphia did activate catcher J. T.
Rail Muto today had a single and a walk. Finally
coming back after knee surgery, and Tampa Bay beat the
Yankees in New York nine to one.

Speaker 2 (01:05:44):
Randy E.

Speaker 9 (01:05:44):
Rose Arena with four hits, including two homers. He was
batting two oh three. Back to you, well, that batting
average was raised. Martin and BJ coming to you live
from the tyraq dot com studios.

Speaker 1 (01:05:58):
So VJ, I want to you explain to me how
you took this painstaking time and energy to go ahead
and hand right out all of your stats and info
here and you ended up with Puka Nakua above both
Justin not Justin Jefferson, who Jamar Chase?

Speaker 3 (01:06:16):
And it's not by much though, guys, listen, it's it's
a top ten list, and it's not by much I have.
If I had to go in my list and put
it to fifteen, Chase falls in about eleven or twelve.
But if you go look at the average, the averages
dropped over the few last few years, has gone from
eighteen to twelve and twelve. So has the touchdowns. The
touchdowns have come down, so has the quarterback.

Speaker 6 (01:06:36):
I will say this, it's not as egregious as one
Arnie Spaniards top five that he said last Sunday. Oh wow,
if you guys want to hear, I can give like
a rough estimate. I know three of the five. I
think it ranking might be either way. He had one.
Of course he had Tyreek, you know, being being Arnie,
he had Tyreek at one, And forgive me if I

(01:06:59):
might these two, but I believe he had DeVante Adams
at two, a Monrat three. One of those who's flipped
four was Pooka Nakula and then Justin Jefferson at five.
I'm not either. The big thing that stuck out to
me was he literally put Pooka.

Speaker 2 (01:07:16):
Over just Pooka at eighth.

Speaker 3 (01:07:18):
Though, So if you think about it, if I put
just if I put if I put Chase at eleven,
that's it's a three.

Speaker 2 (01:07:23):
It's a three spot difference, Guys. It's not.

Speaker 3 (01:07:25):
It's not like I love the year he had and
I'm talking about and I'm talking about right now, right now,
coming off the rookie year that kid had, man And
like I said, it's not a fluke.

Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
He's six two two twenty.

Speaker 3 (01:07:36):
He's a big guy, he's tough, he runs great routes,
he's a he goes head first. I always love and
respect that Chase is still a beast. But I just
he just he's right outside my top ten. I had listen,
almost kept CD out. I didn't want to hear his mouth,
almost kept CD out, But I I said, cd wasn't
a top ten guy last year.

Speaker 2 (01:07:56):
Is up better than any of these people I saw. Well,
I love you, Martin, I I disagree. I got to
make eight.

Speaker 3 (01:08:01):
Is he's not that he's not fourth and Justin Jefferson's
not fit. So Arnie, Arnie, give.

Speaker 6 (01:08:06):
Him grace, Arnie give me. Gave that one and Chris
me and Chris let him have it. Like, what are
you talking about?

Speaker 3 (01:08:13):
So you're splitting hairs in my opin? Where would you
have Pooka now outside the top ten?

Speaker 2 (01:08:18):
Yes? Okay, and so then you're sliding.

Speaker 1 (01:08:21):
Matthew Stafford wasn't pooka Coos quarterback, we would have no
idea who he is.

Speaker 3 (01:08:25):
That's not fair, though I think it happened. No, because
it happens to be as quarterback. So someone still got
to catch the ball and run the routes Martin to
catch the ball and run the road.

Speaker 1 (01:08:35):
Okay, but the leading receiver, I mean, if you look
at Matthew Stafford's career. He's he had what was it
before Cooper cup right set the record for receiving nineteen
hundred yards? Who was it before that was Calvin Johnson?
And then who wasn't the coolest at the rookie record yards?

Speaker 2 (01:08:50):
Right?

Speaker 1 (01:08:51):
Yeah, there's one common phenomenator through all of those players.

Speaker 2 (01:08:55):
Then that is the kid from Georgia, Matthew Stafford.

Speaker 3 (01:08:58):
But you said Matthew Stafford's not a Hall of Fame,
so that kind of that confuses.

Speaker 2 (01:09:02):
I mean, there's a very but think about it.

Speaker 3 (01:09:05):
If he's if he's the common denominator and three great receiving,
season three great receiver.

Speaker 2 (01:09:10):
I think Pukah's gonna continue.

Speaker 3 (01:09:12):
This isn't a fluke because the size is gonna allow
him to still be bigger. You can try to run
different zones of different coverages, maybe a viper of Tampa
two at six fifteen, two twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:09:22):
He's a big guy.

Speaker 3 (01:09:23):
He's still gonna break tackles, he's still gonna run over
your small defensive bats.

Speaker 2 (01:09:27):
It's on the film. I went back. I didn't just
write this list. I went back.

Speaker 3 (01:09:31):
Over the last three weeks, I've been just watching old games.
I don't know the race games off my my DVR.
I don't know the race games off my deal. I go
back and well, I just watched Michigan in Alabama and
Michigan and Washington again, trying to prep for college football.
I just went back and just watched it. I watched
the Texas Washington game again just this past week. I'm
when I put the tape on, there's times I missed
how good this kills, Like, Wow, pooka hold up man,

(01:09:51):
that's an All Pro safety. He's shaken up out there.
This is the number one defense. He is embarrassing. This
is the number four passing defense. He's out here embarrassing.
And that's where I said, Okay, you know what I'm
I'm gonna throw him personally, I'm gonna throw him in
my top ten.

Speaker 2 (01:10:06):
He sneaks in at eight.

Speaker 3 (01:10:07):
Now, I could have swapped it with a mari and
I could have swapped the mari y out and moved CD
lamb up.

Speaker 2 (01:10:12):
But I like this ten. Chase probably sits at eleven.

Speaker 3 (01:10:15):
Davante you know, and Tyre you don't have him.

Speaker 1 (01:10:20):
Tyreek Hill never had seventeen hundred yards until he went
to Miami into a tongue about Lowanside of Hall of
Famer and Patrick Mahomes is.

Speaker 3 (01:10:26):
Well, I get that, but but he just but he
just started to it just as well. Maybe to him
maybe two is just maybe my male Oh so it's
just that great.

Speaker 2 (01:10:35):
I don't know. But at the end of the day,
at the end of the day, that's my top ten.

Speaker 3 (01:10:38):
Man. I get what you guys are saying about Chase,
but like I said, sometimes the production just feels like
like last year, over one hundred catches, but in like
twelve yards of pop, where's the big play, where's the quarterback?

Speaker 2 (01:10:49):
But just started start? No, no, you started one hundred catches,
but they matter your quarterback. You started four different quarterbacks
and Cincinnatially Jamar.

Speaker 6 (01:10:56):
Chase was actually and I was a I had him
on my Fantasy t TA last year, so I can.

Speaker 2 (01:11:02):
Not that, like if you're a Jamar Chase expert.

Speaker 6 (01:11:03):
No, but like he was hurt a lot last year,
Like there was a couple he missed. I want to say,
at least three or four minimum games, like or he
was just out.

Speaker 1 (01:11:16):
He was in and out game last year. I don't
think he missed that many thought he did. I think
he missed missed two games last year. Yeah, ok no,
I'm sorry he missed one. No, he miss one it
that's what I thought. He missed one game.

Speaker 2 (01:11:27):
Last year. He played sixteen games.

Speaker 6 (01:11:28):
Last year, the Bill, the Bills, the Bengals were in
a rut. They remember that first, like that stretch the beginning,
they were just in a rut. And then Joe was
just you know, Joey b was just hurt and then
he got you know, the injury that with with the
backup I forget his name, that actually kind of did admirably,
but Jamar, it was an up and down year for
that whole team and all that stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:11:49):
So then that's why this year you can't start out
at my top ten. This is pre camp, guys. I
got another list for you guys. That's gonna be after
preseason is over. If you guys will give me another
top of the hour.

Speaker 2 (01:11:58):
To do it, I I'll have. But this is just
pre camp.

Speaker 3 (01:12:01):
You're you're making my point, to be honest with you, You're
you're making my point.

Speaker 2 (01:12:04):
You're right.

Speaker 3 (01:12:05):
Last year, okay, fine, up and down for them. He
still plays sixteen games, he still had one hundred catches.
The averages down, it's it's the production, the touchdown visits
aren't there.

Speaker 2 (01:12:15):
I'm just going by I'm looking at it.

Speaker 1 (01:12:16):
Hey, I would have loved to see what pookin the
Coul's rookieyear would have been with Jake Browning at quarterback.

Speaker 3 (01:12:21):
Well we don't know that though, because he had Matthew
Stafford as his quarterback. But once again, I want you
to do me a favorite, get rid of that part
and just go back and put the tape on. This
guy's a legit receiver. He's not saying it's not whose quarterback. Kids,
You're getting the long list.

Speaker 2 (01:12:35):
Of receivers better than Pokin Coup in the NFL. Wow,
you think so high? Okay?

Speaker 3 (01:12:40):
So where and where would you just We're just, you know,
hypothetically fitballing.

Speaker 2 (01:12:44):
I'd have fifteen. I don't think I could put him
higher than twelve. Fifteen sounds fair so hired than twelve sixty. Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:12:50):
I just want to once again, like just the big
games right against Detroit, not for one eighty one.

Speaker 2 (01:12:57):
This is the Lins winning good defense. Last year the
Cleveland brown number one.

Speaker 3 (01:13:02):
Four catches but just still toasting them to the tune
of one hundred and five yards. That's more than twenty
five yards to catch. In a touch San Francisco fifteen
for one forty seven. Fifteen catches means no one can
cover you.

Speaker 2 (01:13:14):
No one can cover you.

Speaker 1 (01:13:15):
And this is a great defensive line and a great
linebacking court for the San Francisco forty nine ers.

Speaker 2 (01:13:20):
And this guy is the only thing they can get
to right now. And you still got He's still get fifteen.

Speaker 3 (01:13:25):
Grabs, bro, that's him that Matthew Stafford's making the throws,
But this guy's making the catches, breaking tackles, running guys over.

Speaker 2 (01:13:33):
I employ you, guys, just go put some more tape
back on. It's more than watched it all when it happened.

Speaker 1 (01:13:38):
And Matthew Stafford was putting the ball in the exact
right place, and credit to pukin the court for catching
it and continuing to run.

Speaker 2 (01:13:43):
Yeah, I like him. I like I like him at
eight No chance does anybody make more money than Pitbull.

Speaker 3 (01:13:49):
Right he's performing it. Have Oh you know what, I
got one for you? Maybe Shakira. That's another one.

Speaker 1 (01:13:56):
I'll tell you what if you have an event with
Spanish speaking peace, Shakira is generally not too far away.

Speaker 2 (01:14:02):
She's always out there. I tell you this man, I
like the Copa America.

Speaker 3 (01:14:06):
I'm not a big fan, but every time I see her,
it does something to me. The kid, that's all I
gotta hear, right, that little hip, the little hip thing
she does talking man and throw the little the little
shimmy skart.

Speaker 2 (01:14:19):
Dude, I'm in a tramp. My son. I got a
video on my phone.

Speaker 3 (01:14:22):
My son was in a camera, was in a trance
watching the COPA halftime show with Shakira. I recorded it
on my phone. I kept going camera. He would not
look up at me. He was fixated on this woman performing.

Speaker 2 (01:14:34):
Raise your Child Up the right way. Hey, hey, listen
some of them.

Speaker 1 (01:14:38):
Next will play a game of who You Got with
our producer Big Pat Martin VJ Fox with Radio coming
to your life from the tire Rack dot Com Studios,
Just Martin Weiss and VJ. Husky on Twitter at Martin
Weiss at Big Vanilla Funny.

Speaker 2 (01:14:51):
I'll let you figure out who's who. But now it's
time for who you Got?

Speaker 6 (01:14:55):
All right, everybody, it is time for the sensation sweet
in the Nation. I'll thank you, Bernie Fratto. It is
time for who you Get? And boys, what we've been
talking about pretty much the whole time this past hour
was no football, baby, it is back NFL. We're going

(01:15:17):
with some NFL today and that is our theme of
the day. We're going football because football's back. Now, with
that said, we're gonna start with the three hints or
so and then we're going to guessing who you got
on that one. So let's go with hint number one.
This man is a FIRS I'm sorry, is a one
time first team All Pro and a two time Pro Bowler,

(01:15:38):
So we got that going from him. Number two, I'll
give you he is a former second round pick. Not
giving you a whole lot of info right now, am I.
Well let's go. It's just a little This is not
a fun fact, but it is kind of interesting to me.

Speaker 2 (01:15:53):
On fun facts, Martin Weiss coined it.

Speaker 6 (01:15:56):
It's an unfun fact for Martin because he's probably it's
probab not gonna help him, you know, get it in
one go. So in high school he was actually not
only was he All state linebacker, he was also All
state running back as well. A little little dynamic offensive
defensive threat there for you. So with that, Zaid, Martin

(01:16:19):
and VJ, who you got? You got a guess off
the top of this.

Speaker 1 (01:16:25):
High school linebacker and running back thing, which means he's
definitely not a linebacker or running back in the NFL.
That's what I think. That's the only thing I can
ascertain from that. J you said you had a guest. Yeah,
you got a guess. Is it a Mod Brooks linebacker
from the Niners.

Speaker 6 (01:16:40):
I love that a lot, but it's not. But shout
out to watching that when I was a kid.

Speaker 1 (01:16:46):
Yeah, guy, man, Yeah, this matches. Okay, this is this
is this is a Ligneman. I'm feeling alignment. Who are
you feeling, Eric Armstead? He's on the pup list right
now for.

Speaker 6 (01:16:58):
Jackie arm mistake. No, it's not, but.

Speaker 2 (01:17:02):
I did that.

Speaker 6 (01:17:03):
That kind of was VJ. I like, I mean, granted
they're both out of left field, but VJ, at least
you were kind of cooking with something. I dug it.

Speaker 1 (01:17:10):
The high school all state linebacker running back on my
Brooks was a high was all was?

Speaker 2 (01:17:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:17:15):
No, yo, right right, that was more.

Speaker 1 (01:17:17):
That was for J of Hilton High School.

Speaker 2 (01:17:18):
All right.

Speaker 6 (01:17:20):
I'm trying of the myriad questions or facts I have here,
I'm trying to debate which one I want to go here.

Speaker 1 (01:17:25):
Evan Mobley just got two hundred and twenty four million
max rookie extension.

Speaker 2 (01:17:30):
Oh my god, is up to two sixty nine paid?
I mean, Lord of mercy. Go ahead.

Speaker 6 (01:17:36):
Well, I don't know if he I don't know if
he got paid for this or maybe he did, but
he played. I'll tell you where he went to go
play for college. I'll give you that one. He is
Mary's very own sparty Michigan State.

Speaker 2 (01:17:51):
Oh, Michigan State. I watch your mouth this in general.

Speaker 3 (01:17:55):
I was about to say, you're asking me a question.
He added a little brother into it. You want to
get you want a fight after the show?

Speaker 2 (01:18:02):
Is it Leon Bell? No?

Speaker 6 (01:18:04):
But I like it. I like the Le'Veon bell one?

Speaker 2 (01:18:07):
VG, you got one for us, plexical burist.

Speaker 6 (01:18:10):
No, but shout out to big Plaux, all right, shout
shout out up on game, up on game, shout out
to Big Platz, Fox Sports, Rubby TJ and LeVar. Uh no,
it is not all right. We'll go with the next
one here. Can I give another.

Speaker 2 (01:18:25):
One real fast?

Speaker 6 (01:18:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (01:18:26):
You know?

Speaker 2 (01:18:26):
Is it Carl Banks? No?

Speaker 6 (01:18:28):
But I like it? All right, let's go with all right,
I'll go with here. He has, at one point in
his career led the league in receiving yards and touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (01:18:46):
Oh I got it. Oh Charles Rogers, No, what he
was so confident. No, I'm not.

Speaker 6 (01:18:57):
I'm not even yankin.

Speaker 1 (01:18:58):
It's it's not him, Charles, you touchdown commercialiving a touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (01:19:13):
I'm gonna go with Antonio Gates.

Speaker 6 (01:19:14):
I love it, but it's not until it's not.

Speaker 2 (01:19:17):
I got it, I got it. It's bad Moon Andre Rising. Nope,
Antonio Gase didn't go to Michigan State. Who is Mary?

Speaker 6 (01:19:29):
I think I got him. I think I did. No,
are you just throwing names out? Let me go to
the next hand. Come on, you guys getting too many
Freeman's here. We're all with the Michigan State, So act
all right, I'll uh you know, I'm gonna go with
the fun fact. I'm going with the fun factor you're
throwing that he has, at one point in his life

(01:19:53):
has won at least one Emmy. You may not be
prime time prime Time. I believe it was more of
a regional thing. But he has won an Emmy at
some form of an Emmy.

Speaker 2 (01:20:04):
Some form of an Emmy from Michigan State.

Speaker 6 (01:20:06):
And Emmy though for sure.

Speaker 1 (01:20:08):
Linebacker and running back in high school league, saving yards
so to me. Hell, if he led the league in
receiving yards, then he had to be a wide receiver.
There's no way a running back is going to lead
the league in receiving yards. I don't think it's think no, no,
I mean we're gonna need to I don't think it's
ever there we are, and I mean we're kind of running.

Speaker 2 (01:20:29):
Downmy oh my god, and then it's.

Speaker 6 (01:20:31):
Gonna be your last guest for the sake of time.

Speaker 2 (01:20:33):
By the way, receiver, you got any more clues over there.

Speaker 6 (01:20:39):
Yeah, I'll give you too. I'll give the two teams
he played for. He was a panther and a bear.

Speaker 2 (01:20:44):
Yea, let's go.

Speaker 6 (01:20:46):
It took it all the way to the end.

Speaker 2 (01:20:49):
Baby, there you go, Moose Muhammad coming up next. Michigan
State will make the playoff, but who will? Martin and VJ.

Speaker 1 (01:21:00):
Coming to you live from the tire rack dot Com
studios tire rack dot Com. That'll help you get there
with an unmatched election, fast free shipping frud as a

Speaker 2 (01:21:15):
The VJ. If the NFL season, which I believe I
heard Alic Curry say, is forty nine days away.

Speaker 1 (01:21:22):
That means one thing, the college season is that much closer.

Speaker 6 (01:21:27):
Is there?

Speaker 2 (01:21:30):
VJ?

Speaker 1 (01:21:30):
I know that you somewhere in that uh what is
what is composition notebook?

Speaker 2 (01:21:35):
That's the composition notebook.

Speaker 1 (01:21:37):
Somewhere in that composition notebook you have your college football preview.
Why don't we go ahead to see who's your pooka
nakoo at number eight.

Speaker 2 (01:21:46):
On this list? Number eight right now?

Speaker 1 (01:21:48):
I got I was saying to number eight, who's your
questionable choice?

Speaker 2 (01:21:53):
I imagine you start with twelve? Oh yeah, I did
start with twelve. Twelve was kind of up in there.

Speaker 3 (01:21:58):
I actually started with a because twelve I'm trying to
figure out who could be It could be Louisville. But
at eleven, I got SMU, and I like this team
win eleven and three last year. That O line is
gonna be a question mark for me. But they have
QB and running back goodalore.

Speaker 9 (01:22:16):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:22:16):
Their their their schedule is not tough at all. Their
role games at UVA, at Duke, at Louisville, at Nevada,
they get everybody else.

Speaker 2 (01:22:26):
Florida State's gotta go there and play SMU.

Speaker 3 (01:22:28):
This is a team watch out guys that could definitely
move up and getting themselves into the college football player,
which I most definitely expect them to.

Speaker 2 (01:22:38):
At number ten, I got not to day. I'm pulling
for Marcus Freeman.

Speaker 3 (01:22:42):
Now they're gonna bring in uh Riley Leonard the quarterback
hopefully this guy can you know.

Speaker 1 (01:22:48):
If you're seen him play before he played at Duke,
he's he's I don't know about if he's gonna be
the first overall picking the draft or whatever.

Speaker 3 (01:22:55):
He's a he's a dog, Yeah, he is a dog,
but it's can he get the offense down? There were
some questions coming out of spring ball about this kid.
Schedule wise at Texas A and m at USC back
to back nine one seasons for Marcus Freeman, but we
know in norder Dame nine one seasons don't get it done.
If he goes eight wins or nine wins again this year,

(01:23:16):
I can see them fire him.

Speaker 2 (01:23:18):
But I think they're good enough to get into the playoff.

Speaker 3 (01:23:20):
They could win a game in the playoff with their
running game and the physicality, but you know, we'll see
who they would be matched up.

Speaker 2 (01:23:27):
But they're firmly in the college football playoff.

Speaker 3 (01:23:29):
Plus it's TV, it's money, it's right, it's sponsorship, A
twelve A team playoffs. You're not leaving out good old
you know, touchdown Jesus Catholic, They'll never.

Speaker 1 (01:23:40):
I know, as a Catholic, you're supposed to forgive. I'll
never forgive Marcus Streaman for having ten men on the field, not.

Speaker 2 (01:23:46):
Once, twice, twice twice.

Speaker 1 (01:23:49):
That game against Ohio. We could have been double Ryant
Day A long time I thought exactly. Dose number nine,
oh miss Man Lane Kiffin. They have an easy schedule, guys.

Speaker 3 (01:23:59):
Their first seven games James Furman, Middle Tennessee State, Wake Forest, Georgia,
Southern Kentucky, South Carolina. They don't have a tough game
until October second at LSU. They have Oklahoma October twenty six,
and Georgia on November ninth.

Speaker 2 (01:24:16):
That's late in the year. They'll be firmly.

Speaker 3 (01:24:19):
Etched into the college football playoff by the time they
get to that game.

Speaker 2 (01:24:23):
Number eight.

Speaker 3 (01:24:23):
I got Alabama, Alabama, still Alabama. Kaylen de Bower is
a good football coach. Yeah, Kaylen de Bower. He's not
Nick Saban, I get it. Jaylen Milroe is a Heisman candidate.
Here's a trap game early for Alabama though, the fourteenth
of September at wesconsin Wisconsin. Is a physical football team.

(01:24:46):
They'll run the football. They're great on both sides of
the ball, and can't randall. It's a weird place, guys,
especially at night. The schedule time for this I thought
I saw was TVA, so they don't know when this
game is gonna be. As far as what time they're
gonna play this game, you would think they will win Alabam.
I'm going to row in the Big ten on a
night game, and I don't think there's another really big
game on the.

Speaker 2 (01:25:05):
Fourteenth that weekend that could be a trap game.

Speaker 3 (01:25:07):
They're at LSU late in the year in November and
at Oklahoma or November twenty third for Alabama. That could
be a game that could either be pushing Alabama out
or push Oklahoma out of the College football playoffs, especially
definitely also too in the SEC Championship game Number seven
give me Penn State. Drew Aller at quarterback is what

(01:25:28):
they're gonna have to really go with. But there's some
question marks. I don't know how Franklin got an extension,
but he did at USC in October at Wisconsin. They
get Ohio State in Washington at home and back to
back weeks, so I think they can get those two
wins there. I think Ohio State is very overrated. They
have a lot of talent I know back, but there's
still something I don't trust about the quarterback position. I'll

(01:25:50):
get the Ohio State there in the second number six.
Give me ore Agon. Dan Landon has been doing great there.
Dylan gabral is going to be the quarterback there. The
Michigan State defensive tackle Derek Harmon, watch for that name.
He is a run, stop, hole plug type defensive guy.
They always have one of those guys in Oregon all
the way back to Holy Ignata, which is one of
whoya gots that we didn't guess that Patrick had for

(01:26:12):
us though. At Wisconsin. Wiscons is the team guys what
watch them this year. Their physical they had an off
year last year. A lot of talent back, They run
the football. They always got great line in there. Oregon's
gotta go to Wisconsin all the way on November sixteenth, Martin.

Speaker 2 (01:26:28):
That's late in the year. On the road.

Speaker 3 (01:26:30):
It'll be slushy, cold, range miserable. It's gonna be a
miserable game. Can Oregon take all that Pacific Northwest speed
and flash and pretty Nike uniforms and go get a
fistfight win. Late in the year, Florida States at number five.
For me, they're loaded everywhere. They bring in Benson and
Roydale Williams from Alabama. Alabama lost some guys. If you

(01:26:52):
got a recruited you're playing in Alabama, you're pretty damn good.
But their question mark, you already know it. It's gonna
be dj Uiungalley. How is he gonna play? He's at
his third college now Clepson Oregon State. Now down to
Florida State. They're at SMU. They got Clemson, They're at
Norda Dame. Is a big game for both those programs.
On November the ninth and number four. I got that

(01:27:13):
team in Columbus. They returned everybody but Will Howard, the
transfer quarterback from Kansas State, was not named as starter.
Martin coming out of spring practice. To me, that was
very talent. Normally you know who your quarterback is coming
out of Great Price. I think Alabama knew it was
Jaln Milroe last year, and I think Saban was just

(01:27:34):
playing his cars close to his chest, but it showed
that Milroe ended up being.

Speaker 1 (01:27:38):
The thing that's interesting about Milroe is I think that
Saban wanted him to start, but he was getting a
lot of pushback because you remember Tommy Reeves was the
offensive coordinator and the kid Buckner that transferred from Notre Dame.
I think he and you remember that game against South
Florida they bench Milroe. Well, I know they put him
on the bench, but I think it was more of

(01:27:59):
a sign for the show.

Speaker 2 (01:28:00):
All right, look if he's so good, you showed me
how good of you?

Speaker 1 (01:28:04):
And then because Jayla Menroe came back out and you know,
played really well to end the year.

Speaker 2 (01:28:09):
Yep, Chip Kelly calling the offense there.

Speaker 3 (01:28:11):
But here's here's here's the schedule that a lot of
people are not really talking about.

Speaker 2 (01:28:15):
They have a four game Ohio State.

Speaker 3 (01:28:17):
That is, they have a four game run where they're
at Oregon, they're home against Iowa, at Michigan State, home
against Nebraska. The home against Nebraska game is the one
I'm really watching. Of course, the game out in Oregon.
They got to go out to Oregon early in October
and they got to get that one. But that Nebraska
game at that point as Matt Rule really fed in

(01:28:37):
excuse me, Nebraska players in the program? Is it really
feeding in the mat room that he got him going
by that time? That game is late in the year,
in early November. But they do return a lot of talent.
I just don't know about that quarterback position. It was
the same thing last year with col McCord. It ended
up being a quarterback position. What did he do in
the biggest game of the season against Michigan. He threw
two interceptions and one that ended the game. Texas, there's

(01:28:59):
no excuse. They have weapons everywhere.

Speaker 7 (01:29:01):
Now.

Speaker 3 (01:29:01):
The defensive line may struggle because they've lost a lot
of talent over the last three years, but they have Michigan.
That is the game of September. September seventh, It'll be
on Fox up in the Big House. That's the game
that's gonna show me where both those programs are early.
You have a Heisman favorite and Quinn. I think I
think he's the harder than Famite. You got Stark, It's

(01:29:22):
you got the Oklahoma game Shore. But Texas has everything.
They have everything right there on the table. It's time
for them to finally cash in number two.

Speaker 1 (01:29:30):
I'm just the Heisman favorites Carson Beck and Dylan Gabriel
are both tied at eight to one. Quinn Ewers though short,
he's nine and a half to one, so right there
in the neighborhood top So he's on the top three.
All right, cool, it's on the top three.

Speaker 3 (01:29:41):
But I think as the year goes on, he'll get
more buzz.

Speaker 2 (01:29:45):
Carson Beck. Two.

Speaker 3 (01:29:46):
It's funny you mintionm That's a good segue into my
number two team, the Georgia Bulldogs. The fact that they
got kept out of the playoffs last year, they showed
out pissed they were. They didn't care who suited up
for Florida State or not. They went out there and
they whipped their ass from pilartle plose like you're supposed
to little football. I don't care who's sitting out, I don't.

Speaker 2 (01:30:02):
Care who you have. Buckle your chin strapped, strap on
your shoulder pass.

Speaker 3 (01:30:06):
I hope you had your weedies and the pro tem
bar this morning, because your asses are to night. And
that's what happened to Florida State, and Georgia showed that
they return a lot of weapons. They got the quarterback
back back also to receiver transfers love it. Thomas and
Kobe Young from Miami. Watch this kid speech the long, shorter,
really good hands transfers from Miami. Listen, if you're Georgia

(01:30:27):
and you're pulling the out of your school, the kid's
pretty damn good and can play there.

Speaker 2 (01:30:32):
They got the defense. Oscar Depp also.

Speaker 3 (01:30:34):
Will be the tight end that'll be replacing back Vowers
Clemson at Bama. That's a big one with Georgia at
Bama on the twenty eighth, and then they're also at
Texas on October nineteenth and at Old Miss.

Speaker 2 (01:30:48):
On November the ninth.

Speaker 3 (01:30:49):
November the ninth Guys is shaping up to be You
go down that schedule that's gonna shake and move the
playoff Wait till November ninth. There's gonna be about four
or five games that's gonna dictate the way the playoffs shake.
And number one for me, surprise, surprise, it's the defending
reigning undisputed fifteen to zero national champions, The Michigan Wolf

(01:31:09):
Wine Alex Orgy guys is gonna make his way to
New York by the end of the season. This guy
is six ' four, two thirty five two forty he's
he's a decent passer, but he is big, he is fast,
he is strong, and he runs people over at the
quarterback position. You add that RPO one with Donovan Edwards.
Let me give you a name of this kid right here,

(01:31:29):
Samage Morgan. He's the next great Michigan offensive weapon that
Michigan's been missing. He was a true freshman last year.
He's the kid that had to kick return for the
touchdown again. Oh not to touch I'm sorry, got pushed
out on like the one and two against Iowa. But
he's the kid that had the crossing route against Alabama
and turned up pheel and guys had angles on him,
and he outran Nick Sabans athletes to the end zone

(01:31:50):
and won that game, even though he did fumble the
one point return at almost threw the whole yeah, almost through.

Speaker 2 (01:31:55):
The whole game away.

Speaker 3 (01:31:57):
We have a veteran offensive line, our defense, Graham and
Grant in the middle of the two best defensive tackle
tandems in the nation. Both those guys could have went
to the NFL last year if they were allowed to
come out. They weren't allowed to come out because there's
still yell pops, they're gonna lock down Michigan's defense. Tough
games for US Texas at Washington worries me a little bit.

(01:32:17):
October fifth. Oregon comes in on November the second, but
I think we can handle those things. Will Johnson, Donovan
Loveland at the tight end position. Michigan's gonna put right
pick right back up where they.

Speaker 2 (01:32:29):
Were last year.

Speaker 3 (01:32:29):
I'm not sure they go undefeated, but they're gonna definitely
make it all the way at least to the final four.

Speaker 1 (01:32:34):
Those are my twelve college football playoff teams.

Speaker 2 (01:32:38):
So there you have it.

Speaker 1 (01:32:39):
Write it down taking them. That's twelve, the twelve team
field as VJ. Husky sees it. Yeah, I'll do mine
in a minute. Yeah, I'm without this.

Speaker 3 (01:32:53):
Well, we also to like I said, look out for Louisville,
lookout for teams like some probably look out for Louisville
also well, yep, thirteen teams on the outside.

Speaker 2 (01:33:01):
To look out for. Also uv A two guys you
watch uv A. UVA came off. Well, let me just
tell you why.

Speaker 3 (01:33:07):
A horrific, horrific incident that happened two years ago. Last year,
they're not even written in the mind to play football
last year and they still had one of the top
receivers in the nation that got drafted by the Miami Dolphins.
Go look at the numbers that kid picked up. They
will be back. They're very well coached team. They run
the ball well, they got athletes on the outside, and

(01:33:28):
the ACC is not super tough.

Speaker 2 (01:33:30):
Florida State Clemson.

Speaker 3 (01:33:32):
One of those teams can fall flat, especially if the
quarterback position for both those teams don't work out right.

Speaker 2 (01:33:37):
Just watch you, just I'm telling you, just watch UVA.

Speaker 1 (01:33:40):
It was one of the worst teams in the Power
Five last I know that that's last year.

Speaker 3 (01:33:44):
I'm not talking about last year. I'm talking about this year.
And they dealt with a lot. Dude, they dealt with
a lot last year. That's a lot to try to
come back from it. Play football, guys. Team also was
no good.

Speaker 2 (01:33:55):
How's they no.

Speaker 3 (01:33:56):
Good when they had one of the best received Well,
I'm not UVA, Louisville, Wisconsin. Those are three a guys
kind of watch out. I want to throw Oklahoma in there,
but for some reason, I just I just leave them out.

Speaker 2 (01:34:09):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:34:09):
I don't feel it for Oklahoma this.

Speaker 2 (01:34:11):
Shit, but you feel it for UVA.

Speaker 3 (01:34:13):
As far as the surprise team, Oklahoma getting it would
be a surprise they're Oklahoma.

Speaker 2 (01:34:17):
If u Va somehow Oklahoma? Who Oklahoma lost how many
games last year? Like six?

Speaker 3 (01:34:22):
If they got a surprise, I think it was six lunch.
I don't know if the top of my head, but
those are my twelve that I like right now. Man,
those are the twelve that I like. And I'm not
gonna change this list. This list will stay the same.
It's not like my top ten power NFL teams or
my top receivers. I'll do my quarterback list this weekend
and that'll be for next week. That stuff changes because
it's pre camp. This twelve college football picks, this is

(01:34:43):
going to stay out. I'll put my hat on this
all year long.

Speaker 6 (01:34:46):
All right, Martin, it's now your turn. One minute lightning
round go.

Speaker 2 (01:34:53):
I can tell you who definitely will not be in
my That is Uva. I just watch, I say, just watch.
I will watch them finish under five hundred.

Speaker 1 (01:35:03):
I'll go Ohio State, Georgia, Oregon, Texas, Penn State, Notre Dame, Ole,
Miss Alabama, Michigan and either LSU or Tennessee.

Speaker 2 (01:35:12):
Ils.

Speaker 1 (01:35:12):
You lost a lot of time.

Speaker 6 (01:35:13):
That was that was within under a minute.

Speaker 2 (01:35:16):
You lost a lot of twelve.

Speaker 1 (01:35:17):
I think I think Tennessee loses three or four game.

Speaker 2 (01:35:20):
If that wasn't twelve, then Utah would be my twelve.

Speaker 6 (01:35:24):
I did not count that. Yeah, I expected me to
count that that fast. Is that you're overestimating me there, chief.

Speaker 2 (01:35:29):
I know we all got degrees in the radio. What
are we doing here? Coming up next? The Heisman Talk.

just like.

Speaker 2 (01:36:22):
AUSSI was good morning, he says.

Speaker 1 (01:36:26):
Listening live for a change while at work, and I
tell you what his office looks amazing.

Speaker 2 (01:36:32):
I'm gonna retweet this is where do you work at?

Speaker 3 (01:36:35):
Pal Brandon Brody says that Martin White's that big Vanilla Funny.
If Devontae Adams thinks for one second he's more important
to himself than the team, then I say get rid
of him any way possible. We don't tolerate selfishness at
Raider Nation, and the nation will turn on him fast
if that is the case.

Speaker 2 (01:36:56):
Ooh, shots fired me.

Speaker 3 (01:37:00):
He also is the best player on the team juicy,
so also on my receiver's list.

Speaker 2 (01:37:06):
Who would I tell you during break your guy?

Speaker 3 (01:37:09):
We get a tweet here from Joey Elbows at Martin
White at Vanilla Funny. Bruh went four smokes and an
arm flex and it's a gift of k Metcalf.

Speaker 2 (01:37:22):
So back me up.

Speaker 3 (01:37:23):
What did I what did I tell you would I say,
off of air doing the commercial help me out here, Patrick.

Speaker 6 (01:37:26):
No, no, you you're talking about DK like you want
you want him to sneak him in.

Speaker 2 (01:37:30):
Yep, you tried. Yep. It's just but you just had
to put Pooka on the coup at eight.

Speaker 6 (01:37:35):
I mean, beare I would based off of last season
Poka was having a better season than DK. But I
will say this about DK being the Seahawks guy here
and Minnesota Viking, but namely Seahawk. Let's go with that. Uh,
It's honestly, it was a product of Pete Carroll's offense
last year. Like this scheme was kind of getting a
little outdated. It started fresh and then went way downhill

(01:37:58):
and then just now it's a new gen. We got
Ryan Grubb. Now is oh see, let's see what happens. Uh.
Could be exciting or it could be chaotic. We don't
know yet.

Speaker 2 (01:38:07):
Also, just real quick on DK two.

Speaker 3 (01:38:09):
The reason why once again, when you go put the
tape on it, just sit and watch him. I don't
want to call him a one trick pony, but he
doesn't have an array of routes that he runs and
that the film don't lie just put.

Speaker 2 (01:38:23):
The film on.

Speaker 3 (01:38:24):
He's got about two to three maybe four really hardcore
precise guy.

Speaker 2 (01:38:30):
He's all a route tree. He's got stopping, go and
he's got to go, then stop and.

Speaker 7 (01:38:37):
He runs.

Speaker 2 (01:38:37):
He runs a decent deep out.

Speaker 3 (01:38:39):
But if you're asking him to lose a guy, just
put on a film and show me where his footwork
and his route running loses a guy. He doesn't have that.
And at his size, his speed and his ability, he
should have that by now.

Speaker 6 (01:38:54):
Yeah, I mean DK, listen, the dude is buff on,
buff on buff and he's a burner speed. And also
as far as like the the I guess, the agit
the agileness, he doesn't have that much agility agility, thank you,
thank you, mister Webster's dictionary.

Speaker 2 (01:39:11):
I got you, Tom. I'm here all night, well at
least until you know.

Speaker 6 (01:39:15):
But at the same time, I mean, we know what,
we know what we got with him. But Tyler Lockett
can kind of provide that agility and also a year
two up and coming you know, potential stud at Jackson
Smith and Jigba showcasing a little bit of some route
running ability to so what DK kind of lacks potentially
we see in his other two co wide receiving you.

Speaker 1 (01:39:39):
Instant replay is taken a lot of things out of sports,
but I think the most egregious thing that it is
taken away is the upset baseball manager because just now
Key k Hernandez tried to stretch a single into a double.

Speaker 2 (01:39:53):
They're in extra innings right now with the Boston Red Sox.

Speaker 1 (01:39:56):
Kek hit a hit a single up the middle score
whoever was on base to tie the game, to continue
the game, right he was trying to stretch it from
a single to a double, and I thought he was safe.

Speaker 2 (01:40:09):
It looks safe to me.

Speaker 1 (01:40:11):
The Dodgers call up, they pick up the phone, and
you know, they're all doing the ear muffs, ear muffs,
you know, ear muffs swearing adults or challenging the play.

Speaker 2 (01:40:20):
And I still thought he was safe.

Speaker 1 (01:40:23):
The reference, the umpire still calls him out, and everybody's
just like, okay, whatever.

Speaker 6 (01:40:28):
It looks save Roberts, everybody, he looks safe.

Speaker 2 (01:40:31):
It looks I literally I just watched it.

Speaker 4 (01:40:33):
It looks safe.

Speaker 1 (01:40:33):
It looked to me like he beat the tag, stayed
on the back of the whole. There was a funny
look to stay on the back the whole thought was involved.

Speaker 2 (01:40:40):
So he stay safe.

Speaker 1 (01:40:42):
But I just wears Dave Roberts right now throwing his
hat in the ground to call the umpire.

Speaker 2 (01:40:46):
Everything but a child of God, Martin Weiss.

Speaker 6 (01:40:48):
Welcome to Dodgers one oh one, where we all know,
Welcome to Dave Roberts.

Speaker 2 (01:40:53):
Well, just say up today's baseball is what he said.

Speaker 1 (01:40:56):
It's interesting replay, right, because if there was no instant replay,
they never would have been able to view the call.
So they just want to he would have went to
go call the umpire of that effort.

Speaker 5 (01:41:04):
Yeah, and now I watched it and it's safe.

Speaker 3 (01:41:09):
No Dave Roberts will come out of the dugout and
go face to face with a guy. But I agreed
totally one hundred percent when Martin saying, instant replay has
taken that from baseball because the the the managers can
now wait and as you're waiting, your temperature now goes down.
Your anger is subsiding, it's going away. And then if
you don't agree with the call, we've seen managers walk

(01:41:31):
out there kindly and hey, and then ups probably say listen,
we ran the replay.

Speaker 2 (01:41:35):
We checked on the replay. This is what it is.

Speaker 3 (01:41:37):
And they may say a word or two back and forth,
and they turned around and walk back to the dug.

Speaker 2 (01:41:41):
What's not time I've seen the manager ejected.

Speaker 1 (01:41:43):
I mean, that's happened this year. I can't remember, but
it's like, look I want to see I want to
Like I remember Brad aus was going out there and
the play against the Orioles and covering home plate with
his uh with his pullover because the umpire couldn't see
it anyway, Like where are the guys who are like
literally so cold they're spinning at each other's faces.

Speaker 2 (01:42:02):
I messed out about baseball? It was it was live.

Speaker 1 (01:42:05):
Yeah, last week or week before last was the anniversary.

Speaker 3 (01:42:08):
Of the the the Mets manager going at it with
the umpires. There was they threw the ball through the
ball behind the was the scar? Was it get helped
me out with the with the cinder guard with the
lung the guy with the long hair or yeah, so
it was cinderguard. Right, they knew what was coming. He
throws behind him, the automatically throws him out. You can

(01:42:28):
hear the two major league players like, what happened?

Speaker 2 (01:42:30):
What do you do?

Speaker 1 (01:42:31):
You know?

Speaker 2 (01:42:31):
What are we doing?

Speaker 3 (01:42:32):
What did we we get a chance that guy hit
our guy. They major League Baseball didn't know. He's like, listen,
you know, you guys already know what it was. We
already warned you, We already were gonna be thrown out.
And when the one ump has to leave that argument
to go get the Mets manager and.

Speaker 2 (01:42:45):
No, no, no, talk to me, talk to me.

Speaker 3 (01:42:47):
Because he's trying to cust the other guy out. You
can hear him given you talk about everything. But oh
my god, here I don't even think you could say.

Speaker 2 (01:42:55):
That stuff today. You need to get canceled the way
he was going.

Speaker 3 (01:42:58):
But I thought that was a great way of a
head umpire, letting a manager get it out, going chest
to chess with him telling him what the rail was.

Speaker 1 (01:43:06):
He's like, you know, our our asses in a sling.
You know, our asses in a sling. We have to
throw him out.

Speaker 2 (01:43:11):
We can't.

Speaker 3 (01:43:11):
And then once he got it out, he goes, Okay, good,
you got it out.

Speaker 2 (01:43:14):
You got it out.

Speaker 3 (01:43:15):
That I went Martin on that that I do miss
because to me, that was a part of baseball. I
still remember George Brett charging out of the Yanke the
dugout at Yankee Stadium until after his whole run with
the Pine Tar incident, like he was gonna fight the ump.

Speaker 2 (01:43:29):
I do agree with Martin.

Speaker 3 (01:43:31):
That's part of baseball that's been taken away with instant replay.

Speaker 1 (01:43:36):
It's just wrong it is. I'm with you on that one.
I made sports worse, that's my take. All the Seger's
about to make this show better though. See what you
got my friend.

Speaker 9 (01:43:46):
Guys, the US Olympic women's basketball team is about to
lose its sendoff game in Phoenix. They're losing with under
three minutes to go against a team of w NBA Stars.
One to wait to ninety four you mentioned earlier on
the show. Oh three years ago, before going to the
Tokyo Olympics, the US women's team lost to the WNBA Stars,

(01:44:07):
and Arika Agunbawale was the star. She tonight had twenty
one points in the third quarter.

Speaker 2 (01:44:13):
He's a bucket man, she had.

Speaker 9 (01:44:15):
Yes, she's a gunner and can be a score and
she's both tonight she's up to twenty nine points and
six assists and no turnovers. As for the two noted
rookies on Team WNBA, Caitlin Clark from three point range
zero for six, but she does have ten assists, just
one turnover, and Angel Reese has ten points, ten rebounds,

(01:44:37):
no turnovers US which is one what seven gold medals
in a row at the Olympics. They're losing by double
digits late in this exhibition in Phoenix. Leading score for
the American team Breonna Stewart with twenty three points in
about twenty eight minutes on the court.

Speaker 1 (01:44:54):
Now, Steve just to check team Usay, this isn't the game.
They were favored by forty three and a half points, right, Yeah.

Speaker 9 (01:45:00):
Let's get to the team that was favored by that much.
Playing in London today on Fox TV, the US Men
needed a late layup from Lebron James to avoid the upset,
beating South Soudan one oh one to one hundred. Lebron
James scored twenty five points in twenty three minutes. He
had seven assists, four turnovers. The Americans trailed by sixteen

(01:45:21):
late in the first half.

Speaker 2 (01:45:22):
Today.

Speaker 9 (01:45:23):
Anthony Davis fifteen points eleven rebounds off the bench. Starting
center Joel Embiid fourteen points in eighteen minutes. He was
five of six shooting from the floor. Monday afternoon on
Fox TV, It'll be the US against Germany. Last of
the tune up games for him. Today's contest was the
first of two exhibitions in London for the US, which
is now four to zero in these pre Olympic Games.

(01:45:45):
By the way, Kevin Durant finally practiced with Team USA yesterday.
He'd been out for about two weeks with a stray calf.
Durant has missed all four exhibitions so far. As the
Summer Olympics start Friday, Friday already with the opening ceremonympires.
In fact, some events begin on Wednesday, the NBA Summer
League goes only till Monday. In Las Vegas. There was

(01:46:07):
NBA news tonight from Woes ESPN reporting straight from the
agents that the Cavs Evan Mobley agrees to a five
year max rookie extension worth at least two hundred and
twenty four million dollars. American Billy Horschel leads the Open
Championship by one stroke. There's a six way tie for
second place. Linebacker Shaquille Barrett retired from the NFL after

(01:46:28):
nine seasons, And what a ballgame on Fox TV for
much of the country, it's believe it or not, top
of the eleventh now with Boston tied six to six
against the Dodgers, and Keik Hernandez of LA tied the
game in the bottom of the ninth with a home
run off as former teammate Kennley Jansen. Hernandez retied the

(01:46:49):
game with an RBI single in the bottom of the
tent six to six in the eleventh. Brewers in the
top of the eleventh, lead three to one at the Twins,
Astros at Mariners, scoreless in the fourth. In the LA game,
Baltimore won again. Detroit won it's four straight. Pittsburgh won
at sixth in a row.

Speaker 1 (01:47:04):
Back to you Tiger's eight and two and the last ten, Steve,
look out at Hell Central.

Speaker 2 (01:47:08):
Here they count.

Speaker 9 (01:47:09):
One more win tomorrow and they'll be fifty and fifty
on the season.

Speaker 2 (01:47:13):
Look at that.

Speaker 1 (01:47:13):
Back up the five long road to five hundred Baby,
five hundred Man.

Speaker 2 (01:47:18):
The Motor City kiddies are back. So I know, now
watch all it's gonna take is now.

Speaker 1 (01:47:23):
Now they're going to ten game losing Street because it
was about yeah, I give it, like Julia gets Google.

Speaker 9 (01:47:29):
In the rotation. There is no ten game losing.

Speaker 2 (01:47:31):
That is true.

Speaker 1 (01:47:33):
I'll say about July eleventh, I was like I'm done
with this team. They stink train everybody, and then they
just you know, went So what.

Speaker 9 (01:47:40):
You're saying is just when I thought I was out there,
they pulled me.

Speaker 2 (01:47:43):
Back a pull back there. Yeah. You know what's sick
about that?

Speaker 1 (01:47:46):
When I hear that line, I think of Silvio from
the Sopranos imitating the Godfather, not the actual line, from.

Speaker 9 (01:47:52):
The actual al Pacino line. Come on, rich.

Speaker 3 (01:47:54):
Baby, I was about to say, yeah, al Pacino baby. Uh,
there's a lot of people, man, They don't think there's
some people upset about this whole Davonte Adams thing. Fourteenth
and Indy. He's a big time listener. He said, I
don't think that the Raiders will trade Adams. Coach Ap
wouldn't do that. Well, Fourteenth and Indy. It's not his decision.

(01:48:16):
He's not the general manager, he's not the owner. He's
the head coach. He can go and say please don't.
But if they feel like it's best for the team,
and they can get some capital and maybe be able
to get a pick, someone would owe them.

Speaker 2 (01:48:28):
To get them a quarterback next year.

Speaker 3 (01:48:30):
Martin thinks this team's gonna be bad, so they're gonna
be in a quarterback market. Martin's got them drafted in
the top six picks next year, so then they're gonna
need a quarterback. But boy, wouldn't it be nice to
trade Davonte and somehow maybe swoon another top fifteen pick
next year end up with two picks if one team
finishes a certain place. Not some of these trades go where, Oh,
you get their pick if it's this, or you get

(01:48:51):
their pick if it's down. Just something positive, big time
can happen for the Raiders with that too. Also to
just real quick Romero LICHIWI, he's just get you props, mans.
I appreciate you shotting out showing much love. By the way,
Houston and the screw Heads are all over the world.

Speaker 2 (01:49:07):
Showing screw love and it's cool.

Speaker 3 (01:49:09):
You and Martin are doing the radio show on DJ
Screw's birthday, So happy birthday to heavenly DJ Screw.

Speaker 1 (01:49:16):
No doubt, and I hope everybody in Houston is recovering
from those storms earlier this month. Absolutely that was that
was messy in fact. But do you have anyone from
Houston on your Heisman list? VJ No, I don't have
anybody Houston on my Heisman list.

Speaker 2 (01:49:30):
My Higbo list. You call it segue. Now my husband
list is sure. Give me back, Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:49:35):
Give me Quinn, and I think I think I think
Orgy makes his way to I think I think he
makes his way to New York because I think Michigan
is either going twelve and oh or eleven and one.
It'll be a big part because of him. He'll have
a bunch of running yards. The over under I think
I saw for touchdowns between him and Donovan Edwards is

(01:49:57):
twenty five Russian touchdow.

Speaker 2 (01:50:00):
I might take the over on that.

Speaker 3 (01:50:02):
He's gonna run the ball a lot more, and especially
down inside the red zone and definitely inside the five.
They're gonna run a lot of RPO. He's gonna keep
a lot himself. He did it in the spring game
once again, six three, six four, two thirty five, two forty.
He is a big young man at the quarterback position.
Michigan will have a different dynamic.

Speaker 2 (01:50:22):
Now.

Speaker 3 (01:50:22):
We've had a running quarterback before in Denard Robinson, but
he was not nearly the size of Alex Oorgris. So
give me Beck, give me Quinn, and give me Orgy.
If I had to grab a fourth guy out there,
I can see Dylan Gabriel putting up a lot of
numbers up in Oregon in that system, and what they
do up there getting the ball to their speed. Guys

(01:50:42):
on the outside schedules not two too Daunte, and they
got some favorable games at home. Only have to go
to Michigan as far as like the big time road
games are. I guess see Gillan Dabro's name being up
there also.

Speaker 2 (01:50:53):
These will be your forms.

Speaker 3 (01:50:56):
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I forgot a guy, My bad,
My bad, Jayla Monroe, I'm sorry, jayaln Merlro add him
and I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (01:51:01):
Take Dylan Gabriel out, add in, Jylen Milroe.

Speaker 1 (01:51:04):
You're good, Yes, got it, got it, my back, I'm
so abrupt. These will be your four Heisman finalists.

Speaker 2 (01:51:15):
Everybody ready, all.

Speaker 6 (01:51:17):
Right, holding in anticipation, sir.

Speaker 2 (01:51:19):
Go for it.

Speaker 1 (01:51:20):
The coming in fourth will be Dylan Gabriel from Oregon.
Coming in second, or coming in third will be quitting
you or from Texas. Coming in second will be Jaylen
Milroe from Alabama. And the winner of the twenty twenty
four twenty five Heisman Trophy will be none other than

(01:51:45):
Jackson dart Out, an old miss oh mash.

Speaker 2 (01:51:49):
You're leaving Beck out.

Speaker 1 (01:51:51):
I am okay there, Well, you can't have all these
sec courts, like somebody's gonna have to lose.

Speaker 3 (01:51:57):
Yeah, but we just saw the guy win the Heisman
that had three losses, three four losses. The losses don't matter.
They're just gonna look at the numbers when it comes
to the Heisman. I thought Pinnis got robbed last year.

Speaker 2 (01:52:07):
I'm still you.

Speaker 3 (01:52:07):
You're going defeating You don't win the Heisa. You lost
the hiding to a guy that lost like three or
four games, So I don't I don't really know Beck. Okay,
so we have two. We got Quinn and Melroe together.
But you're not feeling orgy and you're putting in Uh no,
Carson Beck. I thought you would throw him in there.
Who's I'm sorry, who's your who's your your fourth guy?

Speaker 2 (01:52:24):
Who's your winner? I had Milroe and Dark and I
had Dark, so Dark you got Dart winning it.

Speaker 1 (01:52:29):
Then the best transfer portal class in the country. Lane
Kiffin knows how to dial it up. Jackson Dart, if
he stays healthy all year, will have a ton of
county numbers.

Speaker 2 (01:52:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:52:40):
Early schedules week Furman Middle Tennessee State, Wake Forest, Georgia,
Southern Kentucky, South Carolina. Yeah, you might got a point.
I mean, that's that's that's barbecue chicken. That's Maryland crab
cakes right there. That's delicious right there. You eat that,
You eat all of that at LSU Oklahoma, Georgia.

Speaker 2 (01:52:55):
That's where's one are lost right there, that three game stretch. Okay, yeah,
l s U Oklahoma and and GA. They at least
get Georgia at home.

Speaker 3 (01:53:03):
They gotta go down and play in Death Valley, but
they get the Sooners and they get GA. What do
they call that place down there? They have a name
for right what they call that place down there? And
Old Missus No not, that's Georgia, George the hedges, Joja.
They played Old miss they call it. It has a name.
They called the Big Grove, the grove there you go
to grow cauld Its supposed to be like the best

(01:53:24):
tailgating in all of college football.

Speaker 2 (01:53:27):
That's the word. The word is there.

Speaker 3 (01:53:28):
There's other schools with bigger names, but they say nobody
tailgates like they do in the grove for Old mess.

Speaker 2 (01:53:34):
All right, so those are your four. Let's write that down.
Let's make sure we keep that.

Speaker 1 (01:53:37):
I'll tell this collared shirts and boat shoes down there
at the grove on a Saturday morning.

Speaker 2 (01:53:42):
With khaki shorts either white, either white, cream, brown, tan,
or pink. Come on, dude, let's open another sixer.

Speaker 3 (01:53:49):
Brother, It's cager. It's cager man. Cooper's having the Coops
having a cagger.

Speaker 2 (01:53:54):
Dude.

Speaker 3 (01:53:55):
We're going to his bolt first, and then we're going
over here. There's some great pool pork over here, and Johnson's.

Speaker 2 (01:54:00):
Said, it's all dialed in. Brother.

Speaker 3 (01:54:02):
Listen, Johnson makes the best pull pork out here. And
then Martha. You talk about a lady that makes a margarita,
there's no wonder the margarita starts.

Speaker 2 (01:54:10):
My and Martha starts my.

Speaker 1 (01:54:14):
Im over there, okay, And then we're gonna get ready
for this football game and go whoop some ass. And
that's how it's gonna go.

Speaker 3 (01:54:24):
I'm going to be so drunk, I'm gonna yes crash
faced by the end of the night.

Speaker 2 (01:54:30):
Baby.

Coming up next, we'll take a look at NFL win
totals and will buy and sell who we think will
go over or under them. Martin wis VJ Husky or
VJ Husky or Radio Burning. Congratulations to Arique a for
winning at the w MVP All Star Game MVP after

(01:55:19):
that humongous third quarter, like Steve de Segar outlined a
minute ago, twenty three points in the quarter for Erique.

Speaker 2 (01:55:26):
Congratulations to her.

Speaker 1 (01:55:27):
Martin, weis VJ Husky coming to you a lot from
the tiraq dot com studios and VJ Martin. Look at
their faces. Look at the USA women's faces. Bro, Well,
what's fascinating is that they're still out there.

Speaker 3 (01:55:39):
Yeah, it's not a classy jester, but look at Brianna's store.
Look at Ajan Wilson, bro. They are not look at
Look at Rihanna. She's looking up at the ceiling to
keep from looking over at this young lady from the
Dallas Wings getting this MVP trophy.

Speaker 2 (01:55:54):
This meant something tonight. Bro, It's just weird. They're also
out there.

Speaker 3 (01:55:59):
Hey, it's classy, Jester. I guess I mean they didn't
the regular All Star game. No right, everybody stays out
there for them.

Speaker 2 (01:56:04):
I couldn't tell you. I don't.

Speaker 1 (01:56:05):
I haven't watched the NBA All Star Game closely in years.

Speaker 3 (01:56:09):
I haven't watched the last two years. This year, I
didn't watch any of it. I don't even I can't
tell you who won. I can't tell you was the MVP.
I didn't watch any of it. I love this, man,
this is good.

Speaker 1 (01:56:18):
I know angel Reis got to end up getting one
of the postgame interviews with Holly row there, so well,
another double double is what she does.

Speaker 2 (01:56:24):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:56:24):
By the way, that was some DJ screw so shout
out the little Chewy, but don't take us Take Mary.

Speaker 2 (01:56:29):
Mary went in the crates and pulled that out for y'all. Man.

Speaker 3 (01:56:32):
It's an RP, happy heavenly birthday. Great job, Mary, That's
why we love.

Speaker 2 (01:56:35):
You so VJ.

Speaker 1 (01:56:36):
Let's round out the show here by buying and selling
some NFL teams, which uh so like it was basically
taking this on their over underwin totals in the winters.
The city teams that you think like yeah, but like
make it somebody fun, Like for example, I got one.
I'm buying the Arizona Cardinals. You are, I am, you are?

(01:57:00):
Went told was at six and a half right now.
They've gone under in two straight seasons, but haven't gone
under in three straight. Healthy Kyler Murray, Marvin Harrison Junior.
I think walks in day one as a as a
high level pro receiver. And I think the defense showed
last year that they got better as the season.

Speaker 2 (01:57:21):
As the season went on.

Speaker 1 (01:57:22):
They finished strong on the year, ended up beating that
Philly team that ended up going to the playoffs. And
I remember watching Debo look over Mike's over shoulder, like, yeah,
get him Common. I'm gonna be yelling that all seasons, right,
get them Coler.

Speaker 2 (01:57:37):
I'm with you on this. I like that. I don't
I don't mind. I don't mind.

Speaker 3 (01:57:39):
If it was seven and a half, I would say no,
But six and a half, that's seven wins. Kyler Murray
is four to five wins just by himself. His talented loan.
You mentioned Maserati, Marv. He's legit man. I thought last
year Ohio State was a cruise control year for him,
and if.

Speaker 2 (01:57:56):
He well, he knew he was thrown in the ball too.

Speaker 3 (01:57:58):
Not only that, I thought he felt like, yeah, you know,
I could have sat out, but I think he just said,
let me just go do the good thing and just
finish out my career. But he didn't play in the
bowl game, so he didn't do that. But I'm with
join us. Give me the over one, give me over
on the Cardinals.

Speaker 1 (01:58:12):
I mean, they have the same totals as the Giants
and the Titans and.

Speaker 2 (01:58:17):
The Commanders, and they're better than all three of those,
exactly better.

Speaker 3 (01:58:22):
Can I throw one out there? Knock your so this
is for you right here. Detroit Lions ten and a half?
Where are you at?

Speaker 2 (01:58:29):
They repeat?

Speaker 3 (01:58:30):
Do they repeat that the performance? Or was it just
everything fell for them right last year? And you know
they got the first place schedule also too. I'm sorry
I made a mistake. It's not the Houston Texans with
the three back to back road games. Uh, it's the
It's the Detroit Lions back to back road games Dallas, Minnesota,

(01:58:52):
Green Bay, Houston, Chicago, San Francisco.

Speaker 2 (01:58:56):
The only thing that concerns me is h read them again.

Speaker 3 (01:59:00):
Back to back games at on the road, Dallas, Minnesota is.

Speaker 2 (01:59:04):
In a dome. Minnesota is in a dome. The third
one you said is not green Bay? Green Bay. There
you go. That's gonna be the issue. San Francisco, Chicago,
Jared Golf outside man, certainly.

Speaker 1 (01:59:16):
Yeah, if it's inside seventy two degrees, Jared Golf is
entirely different man.

Speaker 3 (01:59:20):
That San Francisco and Chicago. That's in December, So cod
and Chicago. Then you gotta fly out. Then you gotta
fly out and relive. Had being up twenty four to
ten and the NFC Championship.

Speaker 1 (01:59:30):
Game, go exercise some demon. Green Bay package right now,
is win total sitting at nine and a half. I'm
selling that.

Speaker 3 (01:59:38):
Oh no, I'm taking the over on that. I have
them at number six right now in my pre training
camp NFL Power powertem Top Teams.

Speaker 1 (01:59:46):
I just everybody to me is forgetting Like, Okay, I
get it that Jordan Love had a great last eight
games of the season, but there were nine that he
played prior where he looked like he didn't know what
he was doing. He was throwing the ball with the
wrong hand. Now, I will tell you this there are
some questions.

Speaker 3 (02:00:00):
I do have at Rams, at Jacksonville, at Chicago, at Seattle,
and then they also have Detroit. But they have back
to back home games in the middle of the season
with San Francisco and Miami, so they do have some
road games, but they do get two tough opponents at
home in San fran and Miami. Give me the over.
I like them at ten and seven this year, so

(02:00:22):
I'll take the over at the nine and a.

Speaker 1 (02:00:23):
Half Buffalo Bill's ten and a half under, I think
they go over.

Speaker 2 (02:00:28):
Man.

Speaker 3 (02:00:29):
Oh wow, you had them out of the playoffs last
year and you're giving them.

Speaker 2 (02:00:32):
You're giving them eleven wins plus this year. I think
they'll get to eleven. On the dot some own biles
here at flip Flop's last year, I thought they were
going to miss the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (02:00:43):
How did they go from out of the picture entirely
to all the way to the two seed in a week?
It felt like it was probably like a two week
period all because the Dolphins couldn't beat them. Coming up
back to er Taurus and Jason Martin, this is Martin White,
peace out for us.

Speaker 2 (02:00:59):
They're up next.
