Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
All right, conum one, two, three, four. We have four
television screens at our Fox Sports Radio studios, and I don't
know if you're driving, you can't see this. Olympics, Olympics, Olympics, Olympics.
Like what is going on here? Is this is taking
over the world. A week ago people are like, wait,
the Olympics are next week. I'm not too excited for
the Olympics. And then we walk into a world where

(00:24):
it is non stop rings. That's what we've got. I
was hoping. I was hoping maybe Senior Open Championship. Let's
see if kJ CHOI can bring it home. But no,
We've got ping pong, We've got TVUSA, We've got skateboarding, which,
by the way, I don't even know if another sport
is going on because we have a split window where

(00:45):
skateboarding is. We have whitewater rafting, canoeing. This is it
is pure Olympics. Are you an Olympic head? No? But
I am right now. It's on. It's exciting. You do
get the storylines.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
You get to see table tennis with a doubles table
tennis matches, which which is which is incredible it's crazy
the scale that these guys have to hand NYE coordination.
So that and then you know Kevin Durant is doing
this thing too, so it's pretty fun.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Right now. Here's the thing about table tennis, or I
think I just called it ping pong a while ago.
Tomato thing. There's not a doubles court, you know, like
it's the same court, but now with two people. It
it's tough enough to play just with one person there.
But it's not like tennis where you have an extra
added boundary to the.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Side and you gotta alternate shots as well. So you
got to hit your shot and then get out of
the way so your partner can get ready for the
next one coming. This guy for type, he just like
ducked down swis partner could just go over him in
the middle of the dam.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Did you know you had to be in shape to
play table tennis? I had no idea. You gotta be
in shape. Yeah, it's a training method for sure. This
is it. It's crazy. Here's this is the only reason
why I bring it up, because there's a lot of
NFL that we got to get to. In fact, Carrie's
even gonna shed some light a little bit may not
get too personal on his contract details of a player,
but we'll explain to us the real the tidbits of

(02:07):
an NFL contract. The two biggest deals getting done late
in the week with Jordan Love and too, a tongue
of my law went away in on that, especially to
his deal. But this Olympics conversation is one that I
just I find funny because I do like these competitions.
I like the events that we see are the events
that we don't normally see and get an opportunity to watch,

(02:28):
and I feel that people always undersell it. Now, this
may be a small portion of it, and our group
here that we have may have always been Olympic freaks.
But Carrie, when I say, over the last month here
of what's going on in the sports world, you have
to remember the NBA free agency period wasn't as crazy
as we thought it was going to be. The NBA

(02:50):
Draft was one of the worst ones that we've had
in recent history. The only thing we talked about was
Brownie James. The NBA Finals were kind of a letdown.
The NFL took about six weeks off and really nothing
happened before before training camp. Yeah, and Honestly, baseball is baseball,
and the the conversations that we've had in sports have
not been as active in other summers. And with all

(03:13):
of those things not happening and not grabbing our attention,
I still spoke with people, and I feel that this
building is a very very good representation of sports fans
because we have people that work at Fox from all
over the country. But I didn't hear anybody over the
last four or five weeks say, man, I'm pumped for

(03:34):
the Olympics.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
I only heard one, and that was Chris prefet Are,
our board up engineer, producer everything. So one out of
about end, out of about ten percent, that was it.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Yeah. The people that really here on the weekend of
some moving in between shifts out and there exactly. Yeah,
And that's the this is and this is my my
thought process on it is that seems about right for
the simple fact of people think they don't want to
watch it, right, but then when it's on, they can't
get enough of it. And I do feel that there

(04:08):
is a draw, like a withdraw withdrawal when it ends
on the Monday after, Like there's no events that you
tune into when the Olympics end. But in these two weeks, yesterday, gosh,
if we didn't have farm animals in Bluey and Pepa
peg on our TV, the Olympics were on, whether it
be the diving. And by the way, I knew half

(04:29):
of the results because I was in in the morning,
so I knew what was happening in men's gymnastics, or
I knew what was happening in synchronized diving. I knew
the results. But still it's on, and that's like, that's
the really beauty of it. Like I know, people probably
thought I was going to try to rain on the
parade of the Olympics, but no, it's the exact opicies
is that it does bring it to you.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
And what made you what do you think calls to
shift from where when we were kids, Yeah, we were
literally as a family sitting in front of the TV
really paying attention to the results of this. Where now
I think you get the stuff that's given to you
on social media or you get updates and you get
that so you don't have to like fully immerse yourself in.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
And what do ye think the shift happened? I always
think that the fewer channels you have, maybe the more
focused you were on it, Like now we're distracted, Not
that we're all distracted by TV, there's just I just
think that there are more things to distract us. When
this was on thirty years ago, or growing up and watching,

(05:31):
you know, watching the Olympics during that time, it was
the it was the only show. And I remember when
the Olympics were on ABC for a while and then
obviously now on on NBC for for a while. Heck,
the Winter Games were on CBS for a while in
the in the nineteen nineties. So I remember those times.
But it's not to say that cable TV wasn't there.
There just weren't as many options, and it was just

(05:51):
a it was just it was it was it was
a bigger deal. I feel maybe because of that. I
don't know if we knew the athletes as well as
we did, because I feel like everybody knows Lebron James,
everybody knows the athletes, and I feel that we do
a pretty good job of marketing some of these athletes.
Ever going to know who Usain Bolt was, you know,
for a year after year, but I think it would

(06:12):
probably be the options to that.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Yeah, Chris, Yeah, I think I think there's a couple
of things going on here. First for me, like not
having somewhat a generational like Phelps kind of heard it
for a bit. But I think the bigger thing is,
you know, I've been at two Olympics in my life.
I went to Atlanta and Sydney. My dad's gone to
so many more. But I think I definitely noticed from
talking with him, there's definitely been a shift away from
how much stock we put into the Olympic medal count.

(06:37):
Back you know, back at when it was the Soviet
Union versus the USA, there was a lot of that
patriotism fueling paying attention to metal count that you want
to see USA on top. And I think the further
and further we got away from that as the nineties faded.
I think the metal count it's still important, but we
don't place that same kind of importance on it.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
But I do think think that's actually a very very
smart and reason thinking about it. I actually think that
that's a really good point.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Yeah, but I do love it just because it feels
like ADHD sports, like you get just enough of a
single sport and you can switch over. But yeah, I
think why it's probably fallen off is we don't really
have anyone, you know, fighting US for the gold medal
counts like we had. They try to make like USA
China a thing for a while, but just it just
doesn't feel the same as when it was against USA
Russia all the time. And you know, Russia can't even

(07:26):
compete in the Olympics now because of all the doping
scandals they had that got them almost kicked out of
the Olympics. You know, so many Russian athletes have to
compete as independents.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Now. I think it's I mean, I think it's awesome.
I think it's great. I complained to you last week
how I was sick of hearing how we treat Team
USA like an NBA roster because it had NBA players
and we're talking about who's playing, who fits in the rotation,
and I just like, I don't care, Like I just
want to sit back and cheer. I want to sit
back and watching this. And there's a woman right now

(07:58):
on our TV screen who is what is the actual event?
Is it? Is? It? Is it? Kayak? Is it Kayak's sprint?
Is there? Kayak slalom?

Speaker 1 (08:05):
Is that Kayak slalom is what we're watching?

Speaker 2 (08:08):
So Kayak slalom's going on right now. A woman from
Slovakia is on and I'm watching, and I am more
intrigued at what is happening there than any of the
other three TVs to see if she can then also
beat the time of the person who is in first
place from Australia. So like there's zero tie to it,
but it is much more intriguing to me to see

(08:29):
that than maybe to even see on the other TV
to my left team USA and Serbia, which ends up
having to be at the half Right now, man.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
That looks hard. Whatever she's doing, whatever it's whatever it's called. Yeah,
it looks hard. She's fighting the current trying to get
these rings, and it's it's pretty intense.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
Do you think that there's a subconscious portion of this
where we all know that this is there likely their
one chance. Do you think that plays a role into it? Well,
I was before the show started. I was in there
talking to the crew about you know, when Kobe went
to the Olympics, and he was talking about just he
wanted to experience the Olympics fully, and so you get
to go around and see all these events and see

(09:07):
all of these people who are the best in the
world at what they do, and you know how much
they've poured their heart and soul into this one moment,
and what you're saying about it being maybe their only
chance to do what they do after all this hard
work and hard time that they've put into this event
or this.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
This life, lifelong goal, it means more. And so you
can sense that we.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Are broadcasting live from the Tirec dot com studios. Tirect
dot com will help you get there in unmanched election,
fast free shipping, free road as a protection, and over
ten thousand recommended installers. Tirec dot com the way tire
buying should be. If we didn't have the professionals who
are playing right now, because it's it feels like Team
USA against you know, Nicola Jokich and Serbia. That's maybe

(09:51):
how they should be as we talk about it. Oh,
they're going up against Yokich in their opener, they're going
up against Yokic, actually going up against Serbia as a team,
but we figure we focus on Jokic, Joki Jokic. If
you didn't have the professionals in this, do you think
that this would be any like even remotely close to
our interest in basketball? If this was just a bunch

(10:13):
of college kids that we had, maybe some that played
in the Final four, you know, some that are you know,
coming out of high school. How whatever the case is,
do you think we're even remotely caring about basketball? I
do not.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
I think that's I think that's the draw, right, it's
the NBA guys. It's it's the big names, it's the
superstars you want to see. You know, in the past,
when it was the collegiate guys or non non professional
guys playing in the Olympics, obviously that it was a.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Lot more competitive.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
Universally and it was a harder stretch, so it would
be something you would be invested in to see if
they could get it done.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
So I think it would.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
It could be two different ways to look at that,
but yeah, if it wasn't for the guys right now
in the NBA guys, and nobody will watching it right now.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
I say the same thing for the golf event that's
about to begin this week later this week at the
Olympics PGA Tours. Actually there's there's no event this week
because of the Olympic competition that's going on. But as
golf was introduced to the Games back in Rio in
twenty sixteen. If you just had some kids out of college,

(11:24):
some amateurs that we're playing, it would not grab the interest.
And I feel that that portion of it as well
makes it more fan friendly for us in that way
because on Friday, what do we see how many times
is Steph Curry talking with someone a fencer and Lebron
James is getting his picture with you know, three swimmers

(11:45):
on on the boat that they're driving, and like there's that,
there's that bridging of the gap, which is which is
unique and it it feels like it's more well rounded.
So I'm completely down with with that, and I think
it's been good for this sport. Even if the United
States and men's basketball is going to be dominant and
the women's team will be dominant as well. I don't

(12:07):
know the men will be dominant, yes these games, but
just even in the past where it's been, it's been
worth it to have that because I think it's been
it's been more of a benefit than it's been a detron.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
The cool part about seeing seeing those guys in like
the Olympic village, right, you get to see, like like
I said earlier, them all all these greats in one
place and they're all enamored with each other. I mean,
even though obviously the basketball probably gets more glorified as
you know, I would say the biggest attractions there, I
mean outside of Michael Phelps or somebody that was in

(12:40):
that you.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
Know, that category.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
But you get to see all these guys emerge together
and just all really be, you know, enamored with each other.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
Nothink. That's a really cool thing to see. Yeah, the
Olympics are here and they're not going anywhere, and I think,
like many of us here, people are being reeled in
more and more with its on and the the other thing.
It's a new episode every night. Yeah, and I know
NBC packages there shows and it really is kind of
like a TV show in the way that they do
it surrounded by competition. But we've got it going on

(13:12):
here today. We have it, you know, we'll have it tomorrow.
We had it yesterday. You know. Katie Ldecci, you mentioned
swam in the afternoon here, which is great for us
to see when she ended up taking home bronze and
her event in the four hundred meter freestyle. There's every
single day there is going to be something that will
bring you in and if it's not one of the
main ones, it's something different that maybe that you haven't

(13:35):
seen before or something that will reel you in.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
And the one thing, the one person we hadn't even
said yet or spoke about, which is probably the most
dominant one there is Simone Biles. And so to see her,
I mean, obviously that's a big deal. So I definitely
want to see what she does. And again, it just
adds to the lore of what it is. She's been
such a great athlete and a great ambassador for the US,
so it's cool to see her too.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Find the at Carie twenty five Roads. You can find
me Dan Buyer on Fox. Nick Cope is at the
news desk. Do we got some according to Cope coming
up in like thirty minutes? Can we confirm that with
Nick Cope? Yes, thumbs up.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
From here it is.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
You heard Chris Profet our technical producer, bri our executive
producer today and so she is sitting in for Bo Benson.
We're gonna have a fun time. We've already let Brino
that you're h that she's going to be one of
your lifelines for easiest.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
As Dan is ramping up the difficulty too.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
Yeah, Yeah, we got a ten out of ten last week.
It won't be that way. There are two questions, because
I think we've got a new crew here that I
have used before that have been UH stumpers are controversial
in the UH in the easiest one, two, three, four
history that have that are making their return at least
one of them. Oh my god, I said too, that's
an hour. That's an hour from now. But coming up next.

(14:49):
There was one NFL deal that had me scratching my head.
He's carry on, Dan, that's next here on Fox Sports Sunday.

Speaker 4 (14:54):

our two hour show. We never get to everything, honestly,
because this guy will be over promising things we never

good at it because you've been over promising women for years. Well,
it's a Cavino and Rich after show, and we want

Fox Sports Sunday here on Fox Sports Radio. Still talking
Olympics during the break, but there's a lot of NFL
to get to. He's carried Roads. I'm Dan Byer. He's
the all pro Fino mat Carrie twenty five Roads. You
can find me at Dan byer on Fox Nikoplev. An
update at the bottom of the hour as Team USA
is underway in the second half of their men's basketball
opener against Serbia right now a twelve point lead for

(16:32):
the Americans in that contest. The headlines of the weekend
actually focused on the NFL. For as great as the
opening ceremony was Friday night in Paris with the hot
air balloon cauldron being lit in Selene Dion singing and
all of that. Oh, Dan, you can appreciate that, Selene. Oh,
she was so good. I was so happy for it too.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
You know, this's going through all the stuff, yes, physically
so oh it was amazing.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
Yeah, great, great spec along ceremony. They all are, especially
in the summer games, but some great moments. Nonetheless, the
other headlines on Friday were the deals that were given
to Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love and Dolphins quarterback
to a tongue of Bai Loap. Don't think it was
any surprise that one was first and then the other

(17:20):
one came soon after that, not that they were necessarily
in competition with the other, but TWOA got his deal
first and then Jordan Love a few hours later ended
up finalizing his deal with the Green Bay Packers. I
do want to talk about to his deal because that's
the one where I just wonder four years. The numbers say,

(17:40):
two hundred and twelve point four million dollars breaks down
to fifty three point one million dollars annually. For a while,
it was the third highest in the NFL, and then
Jordan Love signed his deal, so then it dropped to
the fourth highest in the NFL. And there are the
guaranteed numbers that we had heard at the time were
around what Jared go Off had one hundred and sixty

(18:01):
seven million dollars. I'm gonna I'm just gonna be honest.
I've I've been all over the map with Tua. I've
been all throughout his career on where he was to
a point of where I thought two was good enough.
You got to build a team around him. Uh, twas
not going to be able to get it done because
he can't fill the gaps that are needed to be done.

(18:22):
And last year I thought that there was a point
with how their offense was cooking, both running the ball
and with throwing the football, that they were going to
be a problem for someone. And then their own problems
popped up, lost a big game against the Bills. We
saw what happened in the frigid game against Kansas City
where their offense was pretty much frozen. And I guess

(18:44):
I'm at the point now where I look at Tua
tongue of Bailoa and I just am I feel that
they have had two years of this window open carry
and those that has not produced the success that they
would need. And now you have Tua with his contract
being a part of how you're going to have to
construct this team after that, and I just don't think

(19:05):
it was a great deal for the Miami Dolphins, no
matter the protections that they put in the deal. Why
you can't why the Dallas Cowboys can do this with
Dak Prescott and you can't do this with two a
tongue of Mailoa, I have no idea. I don't think
that there was any reason why the Dolphins needed to
commit to this point because this is a team that

(19:27):
last year what really hurt them was the loss of
pass rushers that they had. Jalen Phillips went down with
an injury, they had others going down with season ending injuries,
and now Tyreek Hill, who's one of the top receivers
in the National Football League. I do think that there
is a point where Tyreek Hill doesn't become Tyreek Hill anymore.
We have to realize how long Tyreek Hill has been

(19:47):
Tyreek Hill, and it's been a while now in the
National Football League, like it's been five or six years.
And so I just feel now with to is deal,
I don't know how well you can fill out that
entire roster. You are going to be more of your quarterback,
and I don't think that Tua can bring that to Miami.
I don't know why they just didn't say, all right,
play it out. If we tag you, we tag you,

(20:09):
and we move on from there. But I don't necessarily
see a huge need for Miami to lock up to
it to this sort of deal.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
Yeah, I actually agree with you on that, and I'm
for the players a lot. So that's why I'm saying
it that way. He's had opportunities to show us and
prove to not only us, but his team and to
himself that he could be that guy and get it done.
He hasn't been able to do that, and so I
would agree. I would agree with you on that for

(20:36):
that reason alone. But then you also think about big
portions of his time as a starter in the regular season,
he performs at a.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
Hi at a high level.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
Yeah, that's required for somebody or for somebody to get
a deal done that way. So it's I think internally
they believe they have the guy, and you would have
to feel that way if you sign him. They see
him more than we do, so I'm sure they you know,
they have confidence in that and and and as him
as a leader, as a person and as a player
to do that a number of scenes high. But that's

(21:10):
the number, and that's the value of what quarterbacks are
getting right now when he's in that he's right on
that tier of not elite, but he's right there, and
if the chips fallow the right way, maybe he can
get it done.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
And that's kind of how I see it. Yeah, you know,
as I look at the NFL as well, this is
this is why I don't I don't necessarily love it.
There's there's this thought process where I feel like teams
feel like they need to take care of their guys.
Maybe sure, maybe it helps their building. I don't know
if that's necessarily true. If there's not a full buy
in on the team on the quarterback. Maybe it doesn't
necessarily help the building if you just give them fifty

(21:44):
three million dollars. And I'm not saying that's the case
with Tua. Yeah, But what what I do think happens
is that teams don't realize talk a lot about leverage.
It's not the leverage that they have. It's just if
a guy ends up panning out, you don't mind over paying, right,
like if you put your you know, you put your chips.

(22:04):
Go back to Joe Flacco when he had to make
it or break it deal with the Ravens and what
ends up happening. Not only do they make it, they
win the Super Bowl that year, So it was a
betout himself sort of deal for Joe Flacco. And then
the Ravens just had to pay out the wazoo after
that Super Bowl year because Flacco had absolutely all of

(22:24):
the leverage. And I don't think that they mind. I
don't think they mind doing that. Now. Granted they didn't
go back to the Super Bowl the next year, they
didn't follow up with a repeat, but there is something
that you pay, Like if it ends up paying off
for you, you don't mind a little bit more of
the overpay with to a situation when you look at
the quarterbacks around the National Football League, especially the ones
that didn't pan out in following draft classes, you kind

(22:48):
of wonder of, like, all right, tuagainst his deal, and
then you have Dak and Purdy. Who's next? Like why
were you racing to get it done so you could
get him on the cheap because at some point he's
going to be ninth or tenth, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (23:02):
I'll tell you who's next. That's CJ. Strild, right, So
he would be next in line.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Sure, but it's a couple of years. But like he's
only in a second year and he's not eligible to
off his third year, so it's two years of doing that.
So now you're paying. You know, you've given two of
this contract, and I agree with you, like CJ. Stroud's
going to like off of that one season, he's going
to get it. But it's not like this was a
whole draft class because Burrow got his deal, Herbert already
got his deal, and Jordan Love ended up getting it afterwards.

(23:30):
But the next year's draft class, Trevor Lawrence already got
his extension. This offseason, you're not going to see one
for Mac Jones and Trey Lance. It's not happening. There
wasn't this this run of quarterbacks. Now, maybe Josh Allen says, hey,
I want to get paid a little bit more in Buffalo,
and they move him up, and Patrick Mahomes would maybe
have every right to even if he doesn't want to.
But I don't think that there was a rush to

(23:51):
get this done where like the Chargers get this done
with Herbert and now the Chargers look like, Wow, they're
on the catbird seat. Herbert's locked in at this this
long term contract. And because they did it early, they
got a deal. Well, there aren't gonna be tons of
other quarterbacks lining up outside of Deck and outside of
brock Purty. Now they're gonna want their deals that are
gonna top so too. It's gonna stay in this top

(24:12):
six or seven probably for a little while of highest
paid quarterbacks in the NFL. And I just don't know
if he's gonna live up to that, to that billing.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
Yeah, it's hard to live up to that billing anyway.
That's a lot of money. And when you see it
that way again, with the track record of success in
you know, being up and down as a performer, and
especially when it matters, it's gonna be tough. So I
think we're gonna be talking about this for the next
couple of years to see where it where it lands.
But right now they think they have they got their guy.
I'm I'm guessing, and we have to see what happens.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
Do you think they're good enough to make noise in
the AFC?

Speaker 5 (24:46):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (24:46):
Right now, I think they'll be third in that division,
in their division, So no, yeah, but I don't think
that about that yet. I don't and I don't think
that's just too I think, like you said, they've they've
had some some big defensive losses there and and yeah,
they haven't been healthy. So maybe if they're a healthy
down the stretch, that's a different conversation. But they don't

(25:06):
put any fear and I don't think anybody in AFC
right now they'll score.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
A lot of points. Yeah, you know, they had opportunities.
They had a game in Baltimore last year, remember two
years ago, two seasons ago, they went to Baltimore early
and had this huge comeback and it was kind of
almost Tua's arrival. It felt like, if my memory serves
me correct, But then last year, they go to Baltimore
and I have a late season game and Lamart thrashes
their defense. Again, they lost a lot on defense and

(25:32):
getting after the quarterback last year. But the game against
Buffalo that they could have won late in the season
that they didn't, the game against the Chiefs, the freezing
cold game. And again you're talking to a guy who
weeks seven week eight last year, maybe after that seventy
burger that they gave to the Denver Broncos, is like, well,
this team can score with anyone. Yeah. I know, I'm

(25:54):
not trying to talk out of both sides of my mouth,
but my opinion has just changed to the point of
I don't think that they are that to your point,
the third best team in that division where Jordan Love
gets a contract, and for as good as the Lions
are and the Bears are up and coming, you could
maybe see Green Bay challenge and win the NFC North
if things go their way.

Speaker 3 (26:13):
For sure, and let me rephrase that, I think they're
second in that division. I think they're a little bit
better than Buffalo right now. So I'll switch it around
a little bit, just.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
I don't I don't think that the subtraction of Stefan Diggs. Yep,
will actually help Josh Allen, you thinks, so, yes, yes, I.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
Want to see that. I want to see what he
does without Steffan. But yeah, I mean that can go
either way. Shut it there with those they're Buffalo's defense
needs to get better. All right, Team USA's defense need
to get better. Let's go to Nick Kope, who's giving
us the latest of what is happening. So we are
a live from the tire Ac dot com studios.

Speaker 7 (26:42):
What's going on, Nick, Well, Team USA has a dozen
point lead here, Lebron James just with the layups sixty
nine fifty seven about midway through the third quarter in
this one. Kevin Durant, though he was cleared to play
earlier today, coming off the bench, how about twenty one
points in the first half, perfect eight for eight shooting,
including five three pointers. And Serbia hanging around though they've

(27:07):
made some pushes. Nicolea Jokich obviously the star of the
Serbian team. Jokich with twelve points, couple of rebounds, four assists.
But it's been very balanced offensively from the Serbs. So
right now, twelve point lead for the US, their first
game of these Olympics. In women's gymnastics, Simone Biles had
to deal with some discomfort in her left calf, but

(27:28):
she was still dominant in qualifying for the all around final.
She joins reigning all around gold medalist Sunni Lee and
representing the US on the individual side. By the way,
US gymnastics coach to see A Landy said, there was
no talk about Biles needing to pull out of the competition,
and of course Team USA qualified for the team final
as well. In women's mountain biking, American Hailey Batton took

(27:51):
home silver. That's the best result for the US in
Olympic mountain biking. So as we look at the metal count,
I know we touched on the top of the show.
Maybe not what A used to be, but the US
tied for the most medals currently They've got six of them,
so does South Korea. South Korea, Australia, and China in fact,
are all tied for the gold.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
Medal leade they each have three.

Speaker 7 (28:14):
Also, he got the US women's soccer team continuing group
play that's coming up at three Eastern today. They're going
to take on Germany. On the men's tennis side, Rafa
Nadal he got a little banged up in that doubles
match with Carlos Alcarez yesterday. Wasn't sure if he'd be
able to play singles today.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
He did. He won his first round match. And look
who's gonna play in the second round, Novak Djokovic.

Speaker 7 (28:36):
So we will get a Nadal Djokovic at Roland Garrison
the sack round. And no telling how long the Doll's
gonna keep playing. This could be his final tournament, we
don't quite know. Quickly to baseball, the Mets acquired veteran
outfielder Jesse Winker for the Nationals, and reports say the
Padres have brought in reliever Jason Adam from the Rays.

(28:56):
Of course, the trade deadline coming up Tuesday evening, guys.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
Back to thank you very much, Nick. You can find
him at Encope. According to Nick, coming up in just
a matter of minutes here on Fox Sports Radio. All right,
can you help us with NFL salaries, because so you're
a player, you're looking for your deal. Yeah, I'm not
asking you to talk about your wallet and what's in
your bank account, but you can use you know, fictitious
numbers for us. But you are going to be negotiating,

(29:23):
say you're negotiating a new contract with your team, what
do you tell your agent? What do you what do
you want? What's important to you? Because there are a
lot of numbers, and we were talking about to his
deal a number that popped out there was one hundred
and sixty seven million dollars in guarantees. Jared Goff at
about one hundred and seventy million dollars. Then as we

(29:44):
find out more and more about to his contract, only
about ninety million of it was guaranteed at signing. So
there are a lot of different different ways and things
to look at. And you have signing bonuses and Jordan
Love is signing bonus of seventy five million dollars. I
believe that it was when you're trying to negotiate your contract,
what do you say to your agent? Because I'll just say,

(30:07):
what do you say to your agent? What are you
looking for?

Speaker 3 (30:09):
It's just number one? You want fully guaranteed. You want
to make sure that number is the number that we
work on the most. You also want as a competitor
as being one of the ones that you know as
you start to see the market of what the guys
make that are comparable to you. You want your averages

(30:29):
to be aligned with that as well. So year average
you want that to be up there as well. And
then at the end of the day, I mean, those
are the two factors that I think as an NFL player,
especially in my time. The CBA ass changed a little
bit now, but at that time, you want it the
fully guaranteed to be the most important number and the
average per year to be.

Speaker 2 (30:51):
So you're saying, hey, I need to get one hundred
million out of this like year two, like I need
to get I need to getting ninety million dollars fully guaranteed,
no matter what. When I signed my name, I am
going to have ninety million dollars no matter what. Yes,
so you want that to be taken care of.

Speaker 3 (31:10):
So whatever, If that was the number that they were
trying to reach, it probably was around ninety something because
they would you would look at that number and see
ninety three point two. That would be the Dolphins giving
him a little sweetener there, right to say, see, we
gave you a little bit more than you wanted. So
there you go. Now we've taken care of you. When
it comes to that fully guarantee, and then you see

(31:30):
numbers that say guaranteed. That means the guaranteed part would
be if he's signed during the calendar year for the
NFL that next that maybe the final year of that contract,
then he's guaranteed that as well. But if he's not
signed or he's dealt before that time, he's not guaranteed
the rest of that. So that one sixty seven number

(31:51):
isn't fully guaranteed, and that would be the trick of
what you see.

Speaker 2 (31:54):
But that part of that guarantee could be if two
is on the roster March sixth of twenty two, twenty five,
then that would fully guarantee a salary for twenty twenty five.
And that's right.

Speaker 3 (32:04):
We don't know what those numbers are yet obviously, but
that would be a kicker in there.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
Yeah, that's because that's where I think, like it's it.
It is all confusing, especially to you when you're talking about,
you know, a signing bonus on top of that's another thing.
How do you negotiate a signing bonus? How does that say?

Speaker 3 (32:22):
That's back in the day, so our days would be
that right, So signing bonus for me at the time,
even though my fully guaranteed number was what it was
higher than the signing bonus would be that signing bonuses
is something you get that day. As soon as you sign,
you get a check for like that day, like so
and so whatever the number is, like, I'm not going yeah,
and you.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
Know what I saying, that's okay, I get it, I
get it. I didn't want to put you in that
spot for that. But you've been in the negotiation, you know.
And know what's crazy about that. My mother, who was
probably listened to the show. I remember when I did
sign that contract and remember getting that signing bonus check
and I just looked at the check and was like,
this isn't real.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
And my mom was literally there. I was like, did
you do you see this? It seems like, yeah, that's
pretty crazy.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
It's framed, you know. Yeah, that's that's you know. I
don't want to say the devil is in the details,
but I do think for this purpose of how we
look at quarterbacks, I'm I'm interested that you said that
average annual salary is probably the second because that's how
we look at it. Yeah, so we look at it

(33:24):
as now, okay, if two is getting two is the
fourth highest paid salary in the NFL. This would be
for next season, because he's gonna play this season under
is the deal that he signed on this fifth year option. Yeah,
if if to that's how we look at it. We ranked,
okay that to a your fourth, then you better be
the fourth best quarterback in the National Football.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
And it's warranted, you know, like that's that's right because
you're put in it. You're trying to be compared to
your your comps. Yeah, with the money, then it's fair
fair for us to do.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
Yeah, and it's it's no secret that he being jered
golf by basically one hundred thousand dollars a fifty three
million dollars for Jared Goff fifty three point one annually
for to a tongue of law.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
And don't think that wasn't discussed, you know what I mean? Yeah, absolutely,
these carry roads.

Speaker 2 (34:08):

I'm Dan Byer, glad to have you with US Olympic
Games underway. A nice Sunday, Team USA and Action Nicobe

(34:51):
will have an update coming up at the top of
the hour. And how Team USA team Lebron. There Lebron
A nice little spurt there on the second half. Is
the US continues to lead Serbia? I said, Nick's going
to have an update. We are a lot from the
tirec dot Com studios. Uh. Nick is here in place
of Monzi today. So instead of according to Manci, we've
got something new.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
And now it's time for absolutely.

Speaker 8 (35:18):
According to Nick cope, pretty good, good, good, all right,
let's go good, let's get this party started.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
Let's uh. According to Nick Cope. According to Nick co
brock party will cash in.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
Yes, in twelve months, brock Purty is going to get
a massive deal and he will be the next highest
paid quarterback in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
And Lawrence and Love.

Speaker 7 (35:52):
I'm with Jordan Love and the two of contracts. If
they've showed me anything, brock Perty has accomplished more than
both of those guys.

Speaker 1 (35:59):
Come bind already.

Speaker 7 (36:01):
And I'm excited for this because we can finally put
the debate. Oh, he's got so much help with him.
The Niners are gonna pay him, They're gonna have to
retool around him, and then we'll finally get to see
what brock Purty has made up.

Speaker 3 (36:14):
We're going to find out how good how not good
he is. If that's the case, Nick, So, I don't
know about that one. I'm not with you on that one.
What do you got Dan?

Speaker 2 (36:21):
Full full disclosure, Nick is a Niners fan. No, I
think that that that fans either love their quarterback or
just are never on board. As a Seahawks fan, I
for as much as Russell Wilson did during some years,
I still is never fully on board on what exactly
he meant to the entire team really wow. Yeah yeah,
And Nick's the opposite is fully on board with rock Perty.

(36:43):
That's crazy, all right.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
Fordingem Cope.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
According to Cope, the biggest change in college sports it's coming.

Speaker 1 (36:51):
Yes, it's not. It's not in il. It's not the
transfer portal, the house settlement that came down on Friday.
There's a lot to go through.

Speaker 7 (37:00):
It's a little convoluted, but when you dive in deep,
the results of this are going to have massive ramifications.
Revenue sharing, You're going to have higher scholarship limits, and
if you're a fan of the Olympics. To tie it
in with our discussion at the top of the show,
this is potentially going to hurt Olympic sports at the
college level. You're going to have that revenue sharing, that's

(37:22):
more money going towards football. Scholarship limits are going up,
and that potentially means more going towards football, men's basketball,
those revenue sports, and potentially less resources being dedicated to
your swimming, to your track, all these things that are
now pipelines to the Olympics.

Speaker 1 (37:41):
And so if you love the Olympics, watch.

Speaker 7 (37:43):
Out for how the house settlement is going to impact
college sports.

Speaker 2 (37:48):
I have a quick question that I don't even know
if you can answer, but how is something like Title
nine affected by any like I mean you talked, because
there are a lot of female and women's sports that
are Olympic sports as opposed to moneymakers like football and whatnot.

Speaker 7 (38:03):
So the best of my knowledge, you're still going to
have to appeal to Title nine.

Speaker 2 (38:08):
And New Years.

Speaker 7 (38:09):
So men's and they're already in dire But like men's volleyball,
men's gymnastics, men's wrestling, they've already seen massive cuts over
the last ten to fifteen years, and they are likely
going to continue.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
To trend in that direction.

Speaker 7 (38:23):
And like this is a larger discussion, but it begs
the question the US they don't have any government funding
or a governing body for Olympics sports like a lot
of other countries do. Does this maybe create that in
the future.

Speaker 2 (38:37):
We shall see, according to the Cope.

Speaker 3 (38:41):
According to Cope, the NBA made the right move in
choosing Amazon over TNT.

Speaker 7 (38:46):
Let me be clear, the right move for the owners
and the future of the league. This is an eleven
year deal inside the NBA, which is the reason this
became such a big topic as currently constructed that that
show's not going to be around in its current form
for eleven years.

Speaker 1 (39:03):
That's not a basis to go with TMT. Amazon is
part of the future. Streaming has the money that the
NBA is going to want long term. So you want
to get in business and buddy up with the likes
of Amazon. That makes the most financial sense for the league.

Speaker 7 (39:17):
And I think the NFL has telegraphed all this when
Amazon first got the Thursday night football package. Remember how
bad the matchups were that first year. The NFL realized,
we need to do better by these guys, better matchups.
In year two they put their biggest star on Peacock
in a playoff game, Netflix getting a couple of Christmas games.

(39:38):
So the NBA is doing what is best for business
and their bottom line by picking Amazon over TNT.

Speaker 2 (39:47):
I've it's been a topic good conversation this week. I agree.
I don't think that ABC at ESPN loved how TNT
got so much love for their really one show a
week as Chuck, Kenny and Shaq and Ernie aren't together
on Tuesday nights, they're only together on Thursday nights, and
they're there for the postgame show. A little pregame show

(40:08):
and then halftime in between game segments, and that's it,
and that's dominating it. I think that the rights holders
were like, yeah, we look like idiots compared to that.
Don't go with them. It's a lot of reasons why
I think the NBA chose to say thanks, but no
thanks to TNT. Yeah, definitely good for business.

Speaker 3 (40:27):
We will miss that show though, NBA tn T with
the crew.

Speaker 2 (40:31):
Sure, obviously we would be missed. But right doesn't have
to go away. But it's all up to Ernie and
whether he wants to lest turn. That's right, and that's according.

Speaker 1 (40:39):
To Nick Cope.

Speaker 2 (40:41):
All right, great job Nick, Chris Burfett, Briana Morrow joining
us here. He's carry roads. I'm Dan Byer coming up next.
The Packers gave Jordan Love a lot of cash? Should they?
That's next on Fox. Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.
Let's be real. There's one NFL team that the other

(41:03):
thirty one are really jealous of. They're really really jealous of,
and they probably have a right to be jealous. It
is Fox Sports Sunday, keeping Ori on Team USA and
their game against Serbia. You heard Nick say, keeping Serbia right,
now at arm's length in the final three and a
half minutes of the contest. So it looks like Team

(41:23):
USA is going to get a win as they've now
extended their lead to seventeen on a Devin Booker three
with just more than three minutes to go in the contest.
We are broadcasting a lot from the tierraq dot com studios.
Tirac dot com will help you get there on unmetch selection,
fast free shipping. Free Road has a protection at over
ten thousand recommended installers. Tirerac dot com The way tire
buying should be. I'll tell you the team that the

(41:46):
other thirty one teams in the NFL are jealous of
in a second, but I do have to give you
the categories for easy as one, two, three, four. Are
you ready yes? Coming up in twenty minutes, Carry will
try to get the perfect score of ten. His lifelines
of Bree and Nick will be available. There is a
Steve Hartman siding here, so you will have to be
sequestered at some point during the trivia portion of this program. Stevie,

(42:11):
stay stay close. Stevie, stay stay stay close. The Steve
Hartman band came in about a month ago when Shay
was actually in the executive producer chair, and somehow the
nineteen fifty eight Saint Louis Hawks became an answer and
it was downhill from there. But here are the three topics, Olympics, NFL,

(42:31):
major League Baseball. So there's gonna be a question that
is going to double ops. You'll have two of one
of those topics. But those are going to be your
three topics coming for.

Speaker 1 (42:43):
Baseball in a week that bo isn't here, that is
that's a low blow, Dan, Well.

Speaker 2 (42:48):
It's I think you guys will be okay. I think
you'll be okay. You got Cope, you got Brie, and uh,
Carrie's gearing me that low Yeah, I worry. It's not
as is not as daunting, it's not as daunting as
you would think. Easy as one, two, three, four is
not set up for you to fail. It is set

(43:08):
up for you to succeed, except if you kick me off,
then may tighten the screws a little bit. But so
the answers are there. You just kind of got to
think it out. You kind of got to work shop it.
That's all. You gotta perfect perfect, And are we going
to get the senior open championship on. I mean, as
much as I do love water polo, I mean, seriously,
I am. I know that we're full Olympics, but there's

(43:29):
gotta be I gotta at least see kJ CHOI taking
a swing at Carnoustie and getting my I.

Speaker 3 (43:34):
Guess he's been hitching to get that on all show.

Speaker 2 (43:39):
So you guys are blowing it right. The funny thing is,
I could have said it during our six minute break
that we were sitting here talking about the NBA and
the TV thing, but uh that we got sidetracked with that.
We are back on track. Do you know what team
is jealous? What team everyone is jealous of in the NFL?
Do you know that?

Speaker 3 (43:56):
I mean, I would think the normal one would be
the Chiefs. That you would think about the Chiefs. No,
speaking of the Green Bay Packers. So every team in
the NFL is jealous of those guys.

Speaker 2 (44:08):
Because of their success at having franchise quarterbacks. So that
is true. Yes, that is that is That is where
we start this gotcha where we've seen graphics now throughout
By the way, three M is fine, Senior open actually
may already be over with. But the point is the

(44:28):
Green Bay Packers have had Brett farre to Aaron Rodgers
to now likely to Jordan love over the next so
they have three quarterbacks. And I was at the game
that Brett Favre ended up taking over for. You do
you even know who he took over for? This would

(44:50):
be this is I get this, Let me think about it.
He was because he was he got drafted to at
illustrated Mkowski. Don Mkowski heard his ankle in a game
against the Cincinnati Bengals. Brett Farv came in, led them
to a rally and they came back and they beat
the Bengals, and then Farv made his next start the

(45:11):
following week against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the rest was history.
And from that point on, and by the way, when
the Packers had Don Mkowski, they were loving life. He
was the magic man. And they weren't even in the playoffs.
They were so bad in the mid nineteen eighties. Lind
Dickey had good years in the early eighties, but there
was this there was this drought, you know, eighty eighty five,

(45:35):
eighty six, eighty seven, and Don Mkkowski comes along and
all of a sudden, the Packers are kind of having
a magical season. Which again didn't even end up in
them getting into the playoffs, but that was good enough
for them. But once Brett Farv came into that game
against Cincinnati in the early nineteen nineties, the rest was
history and the Packers have had sustained quarterback success. I

(45:57):
don't think that Jordan Love's deal means that Green Bay
is going to have a quarterback for the next ten
to fifteen years. But I don't blame Green Bay for
what they've seen and what they've got for doing what
they're doing. I actually think it's funny that I because
I ripped on the Dolphins and doing what they did,
carry the reason why I say the reason why I

(46:19):
like this. It's actually kind of an NBA draft sort
of thing. I think we've seen so much of Tuah.
I think we've seen what Tua is, who Tua is,
what's going to be is is faults whereas warts are
where his strengths are. I think we know pretty much
everything about him, and I still think that there's a
lot to learn about Jordan Love. Yeah, because of the
unknown and for him not playing and just in the

(46:41):
glimpse that we've seen for the one year, and really
it was half a season where he really emerged in
the second half of the year. But I actually think
that makes more sense than an NBA version of why
I'm higher on the Packers giving Jordan Love his deal
than I am the Dolphins giving Tua his deal.

Speaker 3 (46:55):
Actually makes a lot of sense. I mean, you're correct
with the assessment of Yeah, we've pretty much know what
TOO is. We've seen it. We've seen the ups and downs.
We've seen the peaks of what it can be, we've
seen the valleys of what it can be right, and
the in between is not that great. It's just it's
normal Jordan Love. We've seen the highs of what he
can do in high and crucial moments, and he's played

(47:18):
his best in those moments. From what we've seen now,
there's been moments when he hasn't been super great, and
that was in the beginning of the beginning of the
year where we kind of were still kind of figuring
it out. But once he figured it out, we saw
what he could be. So the potential the NBA thing
you're saying, because a lot of times NBA is based
off potential, especially when it comes to paying guys and

(47:38):
especially high draft guys. It's more potential. So, I mean,
the analogy makes a lot of sense there, and I
agree with you. I think Jordan Love should should have
been paid. They should have taken care of him.

Speaker 2 (47:47):
Do you think that Jordan Love can turn into a
top five quarterback in the NFL? I do.

Speaker 3 (47:52):
I do off of potential, loan and what we saw,
So that small, simple size of greatness that we saw.
I want to invest in that and see we can do.
Do you think Tua can I don't know. I really
don't Yeah, I mean I answered, yeah, I really don't know.

Speaker 2 (48:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (48:07):
I think I've seen, like I said, chances where he's
had the opportunity to prove us wrong, and he's proven
us right more than more than wrong.

Speaker 2 (48:16):
I find it interesting as well when you look at
the Jordan Love cycle because one of the other big
storylines this season is the return of Aaron Rodgers with
the Jets from that Achilles injury. Yes, and your carries
j Ets Jets, Jets Jets. But here's my question to you. Yeah,
did Green Bay ultimately play this correctly? Yes? You think

(48:37):
so they did?

Speaker 4 (48:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (48:39):
They did.

Speaker 3 (48:39):
Yeah, I mean it's still it's a business. We talked
about it, right, we got we gotta talk about advance
in our program. I mean, great players come and go.
I mean, obviously there are legends that are great and
will stand in the test of time. But at the
end of the day, you got to do what's best
for your team. And if you have an Aaron Rodgers
that's behind the breath far that you know can be

(49:00):
that next guy and can keep this thing going for
ten more years, eventually you got to make that move.
And then it comes with Jordan Love coming nipping on
the hils of Aaron Rodgers. Right, it's you know, there's
obviously other stuff that happened with that situation, but still
we drafted this guy. We believe that he can be
the guy, so we have to eventually make that happen.

(49:22):
And so it is part of the business.

Speaker 2 (49:24):
I find Hindsight twenty twenty SOHO intriguing when it comes
to the Green Bay Packers and this topic because this
comes to the point of that I talked a little
bit about earlier, not maybe exact, but if you were
the Dolphins, if you're the Cowboys this year for Dak Prescott,
if the Cowboys go thirteen and four, have the number

(49:46):
one seed in the NFC, and end up going to
the Super Bowl and just just say they lose the
super Bowl, so it's not all you know, Roses, they
lose the super Bowl, you are fine paying whatever Dak wants.
Just to the Joe Flacko thing, you are finding over paying.

(50:07):
And I feel that when you look at what Green
Bay did, because I think it's really interesting. Is I
can't fault Green Bay for how this played out. Yeah,
but I guess the question and then I'll give you
my full answer. Do you think Jordan Love is Jordan
Love today? If he was pushed into action earlier in

(50:29):
his career. Let's say Aaron Rodgers left after twenty twenty one. Sure,
if Jordan Love was the quarterback, then do you think
he's the same quarterback now? No? No, I think he
needed to learn.

Speaker 3 (50:40):
He had to go through the process of seeing what
it looks like on a daily basis to be a pro,
get to learn from one of the best.

Speaker 2 (50:47):
And so I think that is I would say ninety
percent of the time.

Speaker 3 (50:52):
That would be the recipe for a talented young quarterback
to be able to sit a year or two to yeah,
to learn how to a position.

Speaker 2 (51:01):
The reason I'm bringing this up is because of this
when the Packers traded Aaron Rodgers last offseason, so that's
after the twenty twenty two season. Spring of twenty twenty three,
they got green Bay ended up receiving essentially two second
round picks, and they pick swap in the first round.

(51:23):
That was two picks. They moved up from fifteen to thirteen,
Jets one from thirteen to fifteen, and there were some
other late round picks, but it was essentially two second
rounders for Aaron Rodgers. And now you passed the torch
to Jordan Love. I'm bringing this up because while I
may have been all over the map with two, I
felt they've been pretty strong in my convictions with Aaron

(51:43):
Rodgers as they felt green Bay should have traded him,
and they should have traded him a long time, a
long time ago. And this is the part of that
we'll never know, but I do think it's a part
of the conversation when you're looking at the overall move
of like did green Bay pay this or do this right?
It doesn't it doesn't matter if they did it exactly right,
because now I think everybody feels good about this Jordan

(52:06):
Love contract. But let me tell you this, if green
Bay would have traded Aaron Rodgers in twenty twenty one.
After the twenty twenty season, which was an MVP season
where they lost to the Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game.
There were reports that the Denver Broncos were willing to
give green Bay three first round picks, and green Bay

(52:26):
was not engaging in these conversations. So essentially, you said,
and whether that would have been the offer, that's the
number that was out there. Three first round picks is
a long way away from two second rounders and a
pick swap in twenty twenty two. In that offseason after
the twenty twenty one season, there was a deal of

(52:46):
a first plus two second rounders and a possible player
to be named later. These were some of the discussions
that were made. Remember, the Broncos ended up getting Russell
Wilson in the deal with Seattle where they gave them,
you know, two first round picks, gave them two second
round picks, and gave them three players. Oh was it
two first round picks as well? And yes, wow, yes,

(53:08):
so that's that's what they gave up for Russell Wilson.
This is this is where we'll never know if Green
Bay played it correctly, but it doesn't matter because Jordan
Love is now fit for the role. If they moved
to Jordan Love early, to your point, maybe it sabotages
him and you don't have this sort of contract along

(53:28):
the way. Now you do have these other first round
picks that you have, sure, but I think this is
this is the debate that could go on if it
wanted to have. Now that you know that Jordan Love
is who he is, should they have gone to him
sooner and traded Aaron Rodgers sooner for a bigger haul
that could have surrounded Jordan Love in his prime years.

Speaker 3 (53:46):
Man, I mean yes, like you said, hindsight is twenty twenty, right,
I think they played it right. Obviously, it's easy to
say that, like saying, I don't think anybody's gonna argue that. Yeah,
but this is the reality of what was on the table. Yeah,
when they were thinking that they they were in their
super Bowl window and that you know, it just seemed
crazy to think that you would let Aaron Rodgers go. Yeah,
but think about that, Dan, so like even those first

(54:08):
those three first round picks, obviously one would have been
a quarterback. But again, you're starting from scratch again, where
you already have a proven commodity and one of the
best to ever do it in your building. So it's
it's kind of that would be that decision would be
extremely hard to do.

Speaker 2 (54:21):
For sure. My whole deal with Rogers, and he proved
me wrong in the in the second MVP season, was
how often are you going to get a guy in
his late thirties now forty that is going to be
an MVP candidate and how long does he have like
at some point? Heck, the reason that they drafted Jordan
Love was because they felt that Rogers was failing in

(54:44):
or trailing off in his career, and then all of
a sudden he became, you know, reinvigorated and was focused
and you get back to back MVPs and kind of
this bleep you sort of mode. Yes, but if you
ended up trading him at that point, I just felt
that for the for the Hall that you could get
and for what Rodgers was actually going to provide, that

(55:05):
the Hall was probably better. Considering it wasn't a given
that you were going to win the super Bowl, but
you would likely have taken yourself out of super Bowl
consideration in those years and now looking back and seeing
when you lose to the Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game,
or you lose in overtime to the forty nine ers
on a frigid Saturday night in Green Bay, you know
where what heck the Niners I don't even think scored

(55:26):
into offensive touchdown, you know in that game. Like when
you look back at like what could have been in
those points and now that you know the results of
you didn't win the Super Bowl, maybe it does add
to my side that maybe Green Bay didn't play it
completely correctly. But it doesn't matter now because everybody feels
good about this Jordan Love deal.

Speaker 3 (55:46):
I think everybody's fine. I think everybody's happy on this.
On the other side of it, Aaron Rodgers included, And
I think that's I think that's all you can ask
for when it comes to the business of football.

Speaker 2 (55:55):
And I think it's to your point is that Jordan
Love isn't the quarterback that he is today if he's
pushed into action nowhere.

Speaker 3 (56:00):
No way, because I don't even think he was. I
don't even think, well, they didn't drop him with the
intent of him being ready anyway, right, he was going
to learn for.

Speaker 2 (56:08):
Sure, and he had a game where I think it
was against the Chiefs or remember some of his family
members were like in the final role of Arrowhead Stadium,
and you know, like and plus we were looking for
a Rogers Mahomes showdown and it didn't come to fruition
and that didn't live up to the billing. But then
there was a game the following year, the Sunday Night
game against Philadelphia, where Jordan Love really showed that he

(56:31):
was proved that he was capable in the twenty twenty
two season and felt like, Okay, maybe this is our
guy in the Green Bay of the they lost to
the Lions and the season finale, they didn't make the
playoffs at the end of the twenty twenty two campaign,
and Rogers felt it was the end, him and Randall
Cobb walking off, and you kind of knew that was
the end, but you almost kind of needed that Eagles
game because that Chiefs game that they had didn't necessarily

(56:53):
show it. Maybe that extra year of seasoning really allowed
this to happen. But again, there was a point where
they could have moved on to Jordan Love and got
three first round picks, but history may have changed that
way and The one.

Speaker 3 (57:03):
Thing you just said, which to cap it off, really
is knowing the results of bringing Aaron Rodgers back and
him making him be that guy and them not winning
it at all.

Speaker 2 (57:14):
Maybe making that move and.

Speaker 3 (57:15):
Getting those first round picks would would have been just
as fine as well.

Speaker 2 (57:19):
Sure you know what I mean. But I don't think
people are gonna have this debate because it's it worked
out in the end where Jordan Love is now seems
pretty sufficient. We think, yeah, I still think that there
is something to prove. I don't think it's an automatic
done deal. But you said he has the ability to
be a top five quarterback, and I think that that's

(57:39):
That's how Green Bay also looks at him trending. He's

The topics today, the NFL, the Olympics and Major League Baseball.
Why are you looking at me like that? Let's get

(59:37):
it going easy as one, two, three four is here,
Carrie Rhodes, you're over under on today's questions eight and
a half. Yes, we expect you to do well, okay,
all right, I don't think. I don't think the baseball
one is difficult at all, and I think that the
NFL one is is workable. In fact, there are two

(01:00:03):
two NFL, so just one Olympic one baseball. I think
you're gonna do well eight and a half. As you're
over under, your lifelines of Brandon muro, Chris Purfett and
Nick Kope are available to you. If you have any problems,
you can work shop them. You ready to play easy
as one, two three four? Yeah? I give Carrie a topic.

(01:00:24):
He doesn't have to give me all the correct answers,
just something. This golo is a perfect score of ten,
but hitting over of eight and a half would be
great as well. Let's get to it. Carrie Rhodes, name
one of two teams in Major League Baseball to have
thrown a no hitter this season one of two teams. Yep,
I'll take the Padres, all right, show me the San

(01:00:44):
Diego Padres. See now that that hurts. That hurt.

Speaker 9 (01:00:48):
You're setting me up though that was that was too easy.
You're setting me up by no one. I try to
tie these questions in the happenings that are going on.
And this happened this past week with Dylan c Yes,
through no hitter. Do you know the other one this year?
Does anybody know the other one?

Speaker 2 (01:01:05):
B No? Because you turned around to Steve Hartman, you
turn her. My god, I swear, I swear.

Speaker 1 (01:01:13):
I just like turned and I was like, I think,
can I say the name?

Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
Well, you need say We're not gonna better. Now we're
got the batter for swearing, we're gonna have the battle.
Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my goodness. All right,
you want to say it?

Speaker 1 (01:01:36):
Thank you?

Speaker 2 (01:01:36):
Go ahead the pirates.

Speaker 1 (01:01:38):
No, Oh my god, I only have one more dump left.

Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
Please came in hot, Brianna Bleep and Mura joining us
here on Fox Sports Radio. The Houston Astros.

Speaker 4 (01:01:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:01:55):
Ronelle Blanco had hit her on April first, Yes, and
early early. No, No, but one point for Carrie Rhodes
over there, negative five for bree geez. You sometimes have
to worry about guests saying those words. I know. Oh
my goodness, that's all right. Let's get all right. Name

(01:02:16):
two of three NFL teams that have only appeared in
the Hall of Fame game. Just once. So, as of
July twenty eight, twenty twenty four, there are three teams
that have only appeared in the Hall of Fame game
that's played in Canton, Ohio. Just once. Name two of them.

(01:02:39):
I can work shopping with a lifeline. I'm going to
have the work stop this one. Uh, let's go, let's go, Nick.
I'll give Nick a shot with this one. Give me
a little guidance, Nick.

Speaker 1 (01:02:51):
Well not to bring the forty nine er fan of
it all back in. But I can't remember the Niners
playing in a Hall of Fame game in my lifetime,
and so I think it's got to be very low out.
So I think there's a decent shot of the Niners.

Speaker 3 (01:03:07):
I'll take that one with you. Okay, So we need
one more forty nine.

Speaker 2 (01:03:10):
Ers, Yes, you would need one more. You want to
you can use another lifeline. I want I want to
have you stuck to Nicky. Yeah, Chris, you got anything?
So just appearing just one time in a Hall of fame,
just appearing once in this is July twenty eight, twenty four.

Speaker 1 (01:03:29):
Yeah, I know.

Speaker 2 (01:03:31):
A lot of a lot of a lot of good.
Can we just yeah, I feel like I think about this,
just think about that. Can I ask on this technicality
a little bit? Is it count as a different team
if that team ends up moving between cities? Like, are
we counting the Saint Louis Cardinals and the Arizona Cardinals
separately be the same? That would be the same.

Speaker 1 (01:03:49):
They would be the same. Okay, just just making sure,
just making.

Speaker 2 (01:03:51):
Sure there are there there are teams that didn't move
that began a new somewhere else, So Cleveland and Baltimore.
Would that be one that could be well, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:04:04):
I would Yeah, that's a decent. It would have to
be a younger team, right, Like it have to be
like a Jaguars or a Ravens or or something like that.
I like where your head's at here?

Speaker 2 (01:04:14):
Yeah, I go. I think Ravens, Ravens and forty nine ers.
Go with the Ravens and forty nine ers. Those are
your final answers. Yeah, okay, all right, show me the
Baltimore Ravens. Yes, they've appeared in it, just once. Obviously
that franchise started anew Yes, I left when they left
Cleveland and became the Baltimore Ravens at that point. And

(01:04:39):
is it the San Francisco forty nine Ers. It is not,
it is not.

Speaker 1 (01:04:46):
This is tough, this game, I mean Hall of Fame game.
They've been playing it since like what the eighties.

Speaker 2 (01:04:50):
They've been playing it since nineteen sixty Wow. Yeah, actually,
you know, I just scrolled past it. Actually, nineteen sixty
two was the first the first game. Okay, here's the
reason why I worded it the way that I did.
The Houston Texans have only played in it once, but
come really Thursday, it'll be their second time. So the

(01:05:12):
Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens, and the other team the Carolina Panthers.

Speaker 1 (01:05:17):
Calin those expansion teams.

Speaker 2 (01:05:19):
Yeah, yes, the forty nine Ers appeared in it three times,
but it hasn't been since two thousand that they've appeared
in the game. It's been a while. The for the
forty nine same thing for the New England Patriots. Patriots,
you know, always been good. But at some point you
think when Tom Brady goes into the Hall of Fame,
the Patriots are going to be uh playing in that
game for sure. But you've got some bears, you know,

(01:05:43):
going into the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 1 (01:05:44):
Just look U up three times for the Lions. That
is surprising for me.

Speaker 2 (01:05:47):
Yeah, not since nineteen ninety one. But the Panthers, Ravens,
and Texans have only appeared once. Jaguars have appeared twice,
lost both of those contests, and the Chargers twice, Buccaneers twice,
in the Seahawks twice. All right, you got one of two.
That was a horror. Yes, that was a difficult one.
But if you think about it, a newer team like
the Panthers, a newer team like the Ravens, and a

(01:06:08):
newer team like the Texans would have fewer opportunities. So
that's why we went that route. And I tried to
give you a hint by telling you that as of
this date, because it obviously is gonna change on Thursday. Right,
all right, name three of four teams that Hall of
Famer soon to be Hall of Famer Devin Hester played
for in his career. Three of four, Yes, I mean, obviously,

(01:06:32):
Chicago kick returner going into the Hall of Fame, I
think deservedly. So you know, some people don't think that
a specialist like that should be in the hall. I
completely disagree. Yeah, he shaid me, definitely Chicago, ozill Atlanta day.

Speaker 3 (01:06:48):
Nick, I'm gonna I'm gonna come to you again on
a Devin Hester once.

Speaker 2 (01:06:53):
I agree it. By the way, I appreciate you keeping
our FCC license by not going to breathe. I appreciate
that and keeping us on the air.

Speaker 3 (01:07:02):
I looked at Brie and I did like one of
those eye curls and just rolled over to Nick like
very the way.

Speaker 2 (01:07:09):
This also tells you that the Olympic question is last.
I know the Olympic question will be last.

Speaker 1 (01:07:13):
I know the falcons are in there.

Speaker 2 (01:07:15):
That's what I said to Chicago, the falcon.

Speaker 1 (01:07:16):
I got the bear, Yeah, bears, falcons. After that, I'm
I'm fuzzy. I didn't know there was more.

Speaker 2 (01:07:22):
All right, all right, you got a second? Hands you ready? Seahawks?

Speaker 3 (01:07:27):
Okay, okay, we'll go Sea Hawks. Sea said it confidently.
That's still you said three or four?

Speaker 2 (01:07:33):
Three? You said three the three? All right, show me
the Chicago Bears. I was pretty obvious with that one.
Show me the Atlanta Falcons. I knew that one. Come on, Brie,
show me the Seattle Seahawks. There you go, guys, how'd
you know that one? Brie? Here here, I'm going to
tell you interesting thing about that as well.

Speaker 1 (01:07:55):
Did you just.

Speaker 6 (01:07:56):
Remember just actually, I guess because I was just staring
at you and I was just hoping I.

Speaker 2 (01:07:59):
Was ready.

Speaker 1 (01:08:01):
The damn connection.

Speaker 2 (01:08:02):
That is one of the things. That's what I wondered
if you were just like, if you remembered. When you
look at Devin Hester's Pro Football Reference page, there is
not a stat that comes up with him with the
Seattle Seahawks, but he played for the Seattle Seahawks. He
played for them in the playoffs. That played in two
playoff games for them, yes, one against the Lions and

(01:08:26):
then they lost the following week to the Atlanta Falcons.
And just to make sure, because I didn't want to
make an air like I did a week or two
ago with my list, I made sure that I watched
all of his kick returns against the Falcons. The Seahawks
committed penalties on like all of them, every single one.
It felt like he had a fifty yard return that
was called back in another one. But yeah, played in

(01:08:47):
two games for the Seahawks and the twenty sixteen playoffs.
All right, so far carry roads five points. Yep, your
chance to finish with a total of nine if you
get these four correctly named. Four of five countries current
are past with the most medals won in the Summer
Olympics all time. What countries have won the most medals?

(01:09:08):
I mean current countries or even past countries being definitely
go US US, But go ahead, Chris. This is this
is a Chris question.

Speaker 1 (01:09:18):
So here's the problem. I need to know if Russia
and the Soviet Union count as separate.

Speaker 2 (01:09:24):
Well, I mean I think obviously they would, because you know,
the Soviet Union would be much bigger than what just
Russia would be.

Speaker 1 (01:09:30):
So yes, yeah, so let's see. So this is gonna
be tough because I also have to go pretty old
as well, considering that we're like, you know, some countries
were better. I'm gonna go USA. Soviet Union absolutely is
up there, China is probably up there as well. And

(01:09:51):
I think you want to start going, Okay, what do
I do with What do I do with Germany? Dan?

Speaker 2 (01:09:55):
Yeah, Germany as a whole.

Speaker 1 (01:09:57):
But like, does that count both East, East and West
Germany together?

Speaker 2 (01:10:01):
It would, it would, it would be as in this
in this in this specific.

Speaker 1 (01:10:09):
This is where it gets tricky. German is an Olympic power.

Speaker 2 (01:10:12):
Yeah. For a long time I would think that Germany
and West Germany would be Germany and East Germany would
be separate.

Speaker 1 (01:10:20):
Okay, okay, So that takes Germany off the board for me.
So we need four me one more?

Speaker 2 (01:10:26):
Yeah, USA, Soviet Union in China.

Speaker 1 (01:10:29):
I'm gonna say France. Let's let's put France as the
as the I'm out on a limb here, but I'm
gonna say France.

Speaker 2 (01:10:36):
All right, So US a Soviet Union China, and we
need this to get in France, Yes, and we need
we need one. Are you good with that? I don't
know if I'm good with France yet.

Speaker 1 (01:10:46):
It's it's got to be a European France. There is this. Sorry,
this is top five.

Speaker 2 (01:10:54):
This is yes.

Speaker 1 (01:10:59):
I would say either brands Great Britain or Italy. Yes,
take your pick. I'm bearish on Italy though, all right,
So let's.

Speaker 3 (01:11:06):
Go USA, DAN Soviet Union China. I think Italy. Chris
say it's France I'm going to go to France because
he's the big all right, I'll ease your pain.

Speaker 2 (01:11:18):
Show me France. Are yes, sigh of relief. That one
seven and fifty one medals. That's good for fourth all
time in the Summer Games. Just just out of curiosity. Was
I on track with living with Germany versus East Germany?
That's where I was really terrified. Show me the United
States there they are no doubt about that one. The

(01:11:40):
Numero Uno twenty nine medals. Yes, by the way, this
is what Wikipedia said yesterday. Show me the Soviet Union
one ten medals won for the Soviets during their time
absolute power. And is it China?

Speaker 1 (01:11:58):
It is what? No.

Speaker 2 (01:12:02):
The top five countries the United States, Soviet Union, Great
Britain is third, nine hundred and sixteen medals, francis fourth,
seven hundred and fifty one. In Germany is fifth six
hundred and fifty five. China is six with six hundred
and thirty six. Just on the outside, East Germany four
hundred and nine to your point of separating, But if

(01:12:23):
you had Germany with East Germany, you would have had
more than a thousand. But the West Germany Germany split
did not a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:12:31):
So I sorry, I was Yeah, I saw a graphic
that I thought you were referring to, and then I
went back and looked it up. It was gold medals
because China is top five and gold nerds.

Speaker 2 (01:12:43):
This is this is a metallettle count again. All medals
won Italy Spidy cent again, Christ's Spidey sense and your
spidy cents were pretty good.

Speaker 3 (01:12:51):
Yeah, you know, the Italy one was just a toss up.
I mean, I know they'd hosted the Games a lot
and they've been in there, but.

Speaker 2 (01:12:57):
There were seven.

Speaker 1 (01:12:58):
I just feel I just feel that about the China thing.
I did not know it was like they were good. Yeah,
I just get overwhelmed by the gold medals, I guess.

Speaker 2 (01:13:05):
Also the history of Great Britain News appeared in twenty
nine Games, as opposed to China appearing in eleven Summer Olympics.
Got it? Yes, all right? Exer was that? What was that?
Eight total points? All right? Close? Our gold medalist at
the news desk is Nick Kpe. He's giving us the
latest of all shutting today.

Speaker 1 (01:13:27):
Yes, well, speaking of metal counts, we got a four
way tie, four nations with six medals, including the US
also in the mix. France, South Korea and Australia. And
Australia they won a gold earlier today in canoe slalom,
so they are now your gold medal leader in the
Paris Games they got four of them couple in swimming

(01:13:49):
as well. But as far as the Americans are concerned,
USA basketball open it's quest for a fifth straight gold medal.
But they won ten to eighty four win over Serbia,
cruising through the second and Kevin Durant cleared to play
earlier today twenty three points off the bench, including five
three pointers. Lebron James outed twenty one points, eight boards,
nine assists. Women's gymnastics, Simone Biles dealt with some discomfort

(01:14:12):
in her left calf, had a wrap around her leg,
but didn't seem to affect her. She was dominant in
qualifying for the all around final.

Speaker 7 (01:14:20):
It'll be Sunny Lee joining her in the all around
individual final. Soony Lee, of course, won the gold medal
in the all around in Tokyo. Team USA has also
qualified for the team final in women's gymnastics as well,
the US getting a silver medal in women's mountain biking
courtesy of Haley Batten. That's the best result ever for
the US in Olympic mountain biking, men's water polo lost

(01:14:43):
to Italy and group play twelve to eight. Women's soccer
back in action group play against Germany at three Eastern
Non US news, Rafinadal won his first round match and
he's set to face Novak Djokovic in the second round.
Outside of the Olympics, in the NFL, Chiefs coach Andy
Reid says Pro Bowl defensive lineman Chris Jonesmith's practice today
because of a groin strain.

Speaker 1 (01:15:04):
Interesting story.

Speaker 7 (01:15:05):
In F one the Belgian Grand Prix, George Russell was
the winner until he wasn't. He was disqualified because his
car was underweight. So Lewis Hamilton is your winner of
the Belgian gronerate of cussing on the air, isn't it.

Speaker 1 (01:15:20):
Like you think so? Yes, thanks to you guys.

Speaker 2 (01:15:23):
Thank you very much. Nick Cope, it is Fox Sports Sunday.
He's the Allprokerriy Rhoades, I'm dan Byer pulledouts and an
update on our summer plans. Remember we did our summer checklist. Yes, yeah,
there have been some check marks on some of these lists. Yes,
we'll dive into that. He's carry I'm Dan Live Fromthetirec
dot com studios. That's next year on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:15:58):
Live Fox Sports Sunday. He's carry Rhoades. I'm Dan Byer.
Quick look at our summer checklist. In a second, holdouts
continuing in the NFL, you got a problem with you know,
are you doing? Is sit in Trent Williams start reporting
Ceedee Lamano show with the Cowboys. You got a problem
with any of these holdouts going on right now? Yeah?

(01:16:20):
You know what? It's.

Speaker 3 (01:16:21):
The question about that is always when you hold out,
you're missing valuable time for you as a player to
get acclimated to the season. It's arduous, it's tough, and
a lot of times when you see guys hold out,
it takes them a time to get ready during the
season and injuries happen, so you just hope that they're healthy.
The money issues, you want to work it out. But

(01:16:42):
as a player, I would feel like I would hold
out for my money if I needed it. But the
other end of that is health reasons and risks. That
scares me when you hold out and don't get the
time in. I am not worried at all with Trent Williams.
If I'm a forty nine Ers fan, I think that
he'll be there. I mean, a veteran of his stature.
I remember, like Walter Jones wouldn't take part in camp.

(01:17:06):
It's like, all right, I'm Walter Jones, and Trent Williams
could probably say the same thing. But thirty six years old,
it's not like he's twenty six needs to be in camp.

Speaker 2 (01:17:15):
I think when it gets down to it, the Niners
will get whatever done they need to be done. But
I also think Trent Williams a knows that hey, it's
camp and I really don't need it right now, and
B they'll probably just give me a bump and sure
will be good with the world. Yes, The City Lamb
one is interesting because I think we all just assume
Jerry Jones will then just pay him and that okay,
that's the first domino to fall, and then what do

(01:17:37):
you do with Micah Parsons. And obviously Dak's not going
to get a new deal before the start of the season.
That's been the messaging throughout, but then what can you
do afterwards? But I think that CD Lamb will end
up getting a deal, and I don't think Brandon Ayuka
is going to be traded. I don't think that that
will be the case either. With the forty nine ers.
Maybe they do something to make this situation this year
a little bit more worthwhile for Brandon Nyuk. But I

(01:18:01):
don't think you're going to see a long term deal
with Brandon Nyuk by any means. But I do think
that at some point he will be with the forty
nine ers.

Speaker 3 (01:18:09):
Yeah, it makes me nervous with those skilled players though,
they need time to get the time in down to
the offense. Obviously, they probably you know, participated in off
season drills and got some of that done. But during
the season you need it, and so you want to
get those guys signed him back as as soon as possible.

Speaker 2 (01:18:25):
Yeah, they're their wide receiver room is thin. They had
a signing late this week, Ricky Piersaw, their first round
pick has been dinged up. But yeah, of the big
names in the NFL, I'm not worried about Williams and
I think that we all think that Ceedee Lamb will
be done at some point. Yeah, Chris profat or technical
producer did tell me that he marks something off of
his summer checklist. We didn't get to it last week. Yeah, yes,

(01:18:46):
what is off the summer checklist? And if you're just
tuning in for the first time or you didn't hear
what we've done earlier on the summer, we went around
and made a checklist of things that we wanted to
accomplish this summer, and Chris Purfett, you were able to
do so well.

Speaker 1 (01:18:58):
I'm actually close on the second one and so I
will want to them. The first one I'm almost checked
off is five new recipes. I'm up to three, all right,
and I need to make a African coconut curry and
fried catfish this week. That'll round it out. But I
haven't gotten to that yet. But what has happened is
I said, I, you know, I wanted to get a
podcast back, and we did bring back, also negotiation the

(01:19:20):
Pride of Detroit pod cast for Detroit. It's coverage right
leading up to the season. And I do have a
second project coming that I can't speak on yet, but
we're going to be unveiling that in August as well.
So that that leaves the recipes and a trip up
to Monterey at some point, which I don't know if
I'm going to get to do, but we'll see. Got
a little I got August to work with here.

Speaker 2 (01:19:40):
By the way, I will say this, and maybe Chris
is a little, you know, too close to the noise.
I can't see the forest, you know, in the trees.
I don't think we're talking about the Lions as much
as I think, because there's a lot going on with
the Cowboys, the Packers, giving Jordan Love his new deal,
the forty nine ers and their holdouts like in the NFC,
I think it's just right now, status quo in Detroit. Question.

Speaker 3 (01:20:04):
The good thing about that for for the Lions is
I think they need a little to be under the
radar a little bit here. I think that's part of
their mo o. I think we don't talk about them
enough and they're going to use that for fodder doing
a sor.

Speaker 1 (01:20:16):
I'm not surprised by it, because the Packers and Bears
are just the big draws. They're the sexy names in
that division.

Speaker 2 (01:20:22):
And even the conversations we were talking about the Cowboys,
we're talking about the Niners, and these teams, and they've.

Speaker 1 (01:20:28):
Got you know, Jordan Love a new contract, Caleb Williams
new quarterback for Bears. Like it makes sense.

Speaker 2 (01:20:32):
Yeah, that's that's the point, is that right now they're
just kind of flying along the way. It's not what
I exactly wanted to do. Uh, but I am going
to be grilling today. Actually I'm going to be barbecuing,
if you will, smoking a chuck roast. So it's not
the Briskett Church who everybody I think meet church is
pretty well known. I'm taking their poor man's briskets, poor

(01:20:56):
man's burn ends, and I'm going to try to make
him with a chuck roast. This Afternoon's be a long smoke,
a late dinner. I'll save you. I'll save you a
cube if it doesn't go up in flames before then,
he's carry out John dan Byer. It's Fox Sports Sunday
and Fox Sports Radio.
