On today’s episode, Jason discusses Brandon Aiyuk's ongoing trade demands from the San Francisco 49ers, whether or not Mike Tomlin's Pittsburgh Steelers are really the best landing spot for the All-Pro receiver and how much blame Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Siranni deserves for developing such a frosty relationship with franchise quarterback Jalen Hurts. Finally, J-Mac closes the show with a very quick Olympics basketball-themed edition of the Best Bet.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
This is Straight Fire with Jason McIntyre.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
What is up?

Speaker 3 (00:12):
Straight Fire? Fam, It's me Jason McIntyre, Straight Fire for Thursday,
August the eighth, and oh boy, do I have a
story for you. This Brandon Auk nonsense continues to dominate
the headlines of the NFL. But before we get to
the malcontent, yeah, I can go there. A couple quick

(00:34):
thoughts on Major League Baseball, which is kind of sort
of heating up. Maybe I'm all excited because I went
to a Dodgers game this week and it was it
was fun. But you look around the AL and the
wildcard race is tight. You've got the Astros lurking three
and a half back. We got what like, I don't know,
like fifty forty ish games left. Astros are lurking, but

(00:57):
so of the Red Sox. Yankees are in the wildcard
because Baltimore's tae overtaking them. Twins Royals, like the AL
is interesting. The NLS bananas, the Padres are absolutely on fire,
Braves slumping. The Mets are only one back folks for
the NL wildcard race. And I know I don't talk
a ton of baseball in here, but I'm counting one

(01:17):
two three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine teams within
five and a half games of the final wildcard spot.
I mean, you peel off ten straight. If the White
Sox can lose twenty one in a row, I can't
one of these teams win ten in row. And it
gets really interesting. Yeah, the Mets are in there. I
know I bashed the Mets a lot, but they are
still in the mix for a wildcard spot. It's just

(01:41):
a National league. American League Baseball is gonna be fun
here leading into September and October, obviously the October Classic.
But we got to start the podcast with this, Brandon
Aiyuk just, I mean, it just won't stop. And here's
the weird part. It almost feels as if the forty
nine are trying to control the narrative. And I thought

(02:01):
they were doing a good job of it. But if
you noticed the big guns who get all their stuff
fed to them from teams and agents, and that's Wrapaport
and Shifter, they're not leading the charge on this. This
is this feels like it's growing on social media, if
you will. And I'm gonna go ahead and guess that
Brandon Ayuk is being so transparent with the stuff he's

(02:23):
putting on TikTok and Instagram stories and Twitter that people
are reading tea leaves and seeing, oh, well, he's following
this and he wants to go there, and he's got
this connection. And it's almost as if the people are
driving this story, because, folks, I'm just telling you, as
recently as two weeks ago, everybody who covers the NFL,

(02:45):
anybody who I've talked to on this podcast, any gambler,
everybody thought Ayuk was staying and this was just him
acting tough, get me out of here. I need money,
and Okay, that's good, we understand, and you're still in
a contract. So show up and kind of kindly be
quiet and be great, and then you make a lot
of money after this season. Right, that was what everybody thought.

(03:06):
And then you see, you know, this Dj Moore deal
go down where he got Let me see what Dj
Moore got. I think he got four four for one
hundred or four for one to ten with like eighty
million guaranteed. Awesome numbers, Folks. I'm telling you, the margin
between Dj Moore and Brandon Nyuk is not that significant.
And I know i Uk first team All Pro. He's

(03:28):
in the Kyle Shanahan system. If we can knock and
I don't, But if you can knock brock Purty for
being in the Kyle Shanahan system, what would he be
without Kyle Shanahan and Simac and Debo and Kittle and
blah blah blah. Why doesn't the same hold true for
Brandon Ayuk. Well, he's getting schemed open by the best
play caller. I mean, listen, if you want to go

(03:50):
McVeigh fine, one of the best play callers we've seen
in the last decade in the NFL, Like it's weird.
Christian McCaffrey, very good with Carolina, one of the best
backs I've seen this century with the Niners. Brock Purty
seventh round pick, and all of a sudden he's an
MVP candidate with Kyle Shanahan. Why doesn't the same hold
true for Brandon Ayuk. I don't have an answer. Nobody

(04:13):
wants to put put down Ayuk, and I'm not trying
to put him down. I'm just saying, like, he's not Jefferson,
he's not Chase, he's not Tyreek. I think that the
DJ Moore contract is more than reasonable for Ayuk. Again,
we're going bonkers off of one season, and yeah he
was great. Yes he's fast and twitchy, and he made

(04:35):
a huge catch against the Lions, a extremely memorable catch.
But why should the forty nine ers kowtow to a
guy who is, yeah, really good and could probably fetch
you a first round pick or a good player and
a first Why should the forty nine ers roll over
and put themselves in a bad cap space when they've
got this long runway and a hugely talented roster. None

(04:56):
of it makes sense. And so at this point it
almost feels like they're saying, go ahead, test the market.
You want to see what's out there, Go get it, go,
get go, stack your paper, buddy, And Brandon ayuk Is
is kicking the tires, and you know the Patriots are
needy and desperate, so that's the first place he wants
to go just to get leverage. He doesn't want to

(05:16):
go there, obviously, And then of course the Patriots had
to back out because they I guess they got a
whiff that ayuk was just playing them for leveraging.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
By all accounts, the Pittsburgh Steelers are where he wants
to be. I have not seen or read what the
big connection is with Ayuk and Pittsburgh. I mean, you know,
we're talking about a guy who is everything I've seen.
He's been West of the Rockies for his entire life.
California kid, Arizona State. I think he went to UH

(05:59):
High schoo in Nevada and then he goes to the Niners.
So what is this connection to the Pittsburgh Steelers. I
don't know. Maybe his dad was a forty nine Er fan,
sorry Steelers fan when he was growing up. Like, I
don't know, something it doesn't add up. Maybe he wants
to play for Tomlin, who is, you know, a pretty
big players coach. Although we've seen several wide receivers under Tomlin,

(06:24):
pop instantly becomes stars and then it went to their
head and they went off the rails like that's happened
to a lot of skill position players. Leveon Bell, remember
Leveon Bell is a guy who said just I'll just
sit out the season until I get what I want.
And then he came back and he was looking kind
of sort of washed, and then it was over quickly,
and now he's like boxing people and Antonio Brown, who

(06:44):
was trying to go on what was it was it
Instagram Live, Twitter live whatever was after big games and
like talking all this track. I mean, he was just
out of control. And then they finally cut bait with him.
I mean, there's been a couple other guys they had
there that were talented, and I guess you have seen
that and says, oh ye, I could be me. I
can do me there without all the restrictions. I was like, Okay,

(07:05):
maybe that's it. I mean, they remember they had Deontay Johnson.
They let him go. He's now in Carolina. They moved
off of him, and they've got Pickens. Listen, Pickens came
with some baggage out of college. Immensely talented player, but
there was some baggage. So there was some risk with Pickens.
That's why he dropped a bit in the draft. If
you remember, this is a guy who had been pegged

(07:27):
for greatness for a while at whether it was in
high school. Yeah, he went to Hoover High School and
then so he was in Alabama, one of the superstars,
five star recruit. He was gonna go to Auburn and
then he goes to Georgia a little attitude issues. Then
he had the ACL injury. It was awful. Did come

(07:49):
back from the ACL and play and then declared for
the pros. I mean this is guy who had Pickens
had like ninety catches in his career, right second round
pick Why, Well, you know there's some questions about off
the field. Now the talent is there, the length, the speed,
the hike, the jumping ability, Like Pickens has it all,

(08:10):
but he fell a little bit. It's his show. Now
you don't think he's excited about that. What do you
think he's gonna think when Brandon Ayuk comes in? Make
it all of the money and Brandon and Yuke is
making all the money if he gets his contract, Like,
how's that gonna go over? How's he gonna like? Russell Wilson,
who I don't know. I mean, Russ was a great
deep all thrower in Seattle before the too high shell

(08:30):
became a thing and it basically neotered Russ. Hey, we're
gonna keep the safeties high. Go ahead, run the football.
You're not beating us for sixty seventy year touchdowns to
DK Metcalf and lock it. We're not We're just not
allowing that, and he has never really solved that. And
then the other option is justin fields who we know
his accuracy has been an issue. I don't know, is

(08:51):
that you going to go there and pout. But here's
the thing. The phil the Pittsburgh media radio guys are
out there saying, oh, it's a formality, it's a done deal.
They're signing the paperwork. But then still nothing from Schefter
and Rappaport. And I'm not saying they're the end all
be all, but they get more handouts than some radio
host in Pittsburgh. And it sounds like and again just

(09:13):
sounds like UK is trying to try to use the Patriots'
leverage and now he's trying to use the Browns of leverage.
He doesn't want to go to either of those so
he can get paid by Pittsburgh. But it's weird. I mean,
it's such a transparent move. If I can tell you
about it, you sure as hell know that the Steelers
know this, and everybody, everybody in Pittsburgh has to be

(09:34):
aware of what's going on. Now. The one bonus that
they have is they're not paying a quarterback, right Russell
Wilson I might be on the minimum because he all
that dead money that the Bronco's oh and fields is
on the cheap. Naje Harris. I don't think they're gonna
break the bank for him. Pickens entering year four, like,

(09:56):
they're not really paying anybody except defensive players. So yeah,
you can splur if you want for Ayuk. I think
you just got to be careful what you wish for,
don't you. And then at the same time, like I
keep hearing there's a framework for a trade, but still like,
what's Pittsburgh giving up? And somebody said that who's there?
Let me look this up the there was a receiver

(10:18):
on the Steelers that they were like, oh no, it
was the Patriots. They were like, oh yeah, Kendrick Bourne
was such a Kendrick Born. I'm like, you you think
the Niners on freakin' Kendrick Bourne. I don't even know
if he's a top four receiver on the Niners if
he were to go there. But yo, you look up
and down the Pittsburgh depth chart and you're like, Okay,
they're receivers after Pickens are Quez Watkins Calvin Austin, third,

(10:39):
Van Jefferson. I mean, you could no disrespect to this guys.
You can find that caliber player on like the waiver wire,
or you could on a practice squad. They got major
depth on the Niners. So when I was on Cowherd
on Thursday here or sorry, Wednesday, he floated the idea,
why wouldn't you go out and get fortified the offensive line?

(11:00):
And I'm like, okay, well, they're not moving off Broderick Jones,
who they drafted in the first round from Georgia, and
it is so far as a right tackle. I doubt
they're moving off the kid Foutanu from Washington, the offensive
lineman who looks like he's going to start the year
as a backup at left tackle. What they're going to
move off those guys? That doesn't make sense. And I
don't know how offensive line depth at this point helps you, Like, yes,

(11:24):
it's nice to have, but you know what is better
to nice to have a wide receiver who is an
All Pro talent and average seventeen point nine yards per catch.
It just moving off of him just seems crazy to me.
I cannot imagine that he's dumb enough to sit out
the season, like that would be silly, but as you
guys know, some of it is. It's like a pride thing.

(11:48):
Hey man, these guys don't want me. They don't want
to show me the love. I would rather sit out
than play for peanuts. And I mean it's the weird
part is a Yuk didn't turn this team into the
Juggernaut super Bowl team. Like, he's a really nice piece

(12:08):
on the team, but let's be real, he's more replaceable
than Deebo. Samuel Deebo does so many things. Great blocker,
great in the backfield. You can line him up in
the slot, you can line him up outside. He can
I mean, he can win in coverage against linebacker safeties.
I just I don't see the weakness in Deebo's game
outside of the potential injury history because he plays so

(12:31):
damn hard and takes so many hits. Are Yuk. Yeah,
he's an awesome player, but I'm just telling you, like, look,
I don't know if the numbers tell the full story,
but the distance between Dj Moore and Brandon Ayuk is
not like eight million dollars a year. It's like one
or two maybe, And Dj Moore go look at the

(12:52):
quarterbacks he played within Charlotte, sorry Carolina, and now he's
in Chicago. I mean, if Caleb Williams is as good
as everybody thinks, like, that's the best quarterback DJ Moore
has ever had, right, I mean Dj Moore has just
been mired with old guys backups, young guys. No, not
one of like the elite. You know what do they
call it in the stock market, there's like the fang

(13:15):
stocks or the souper Magnificent seven, whatever it is. There's
some saying for like the seven stocks that have been
carrying the stock market, right, you know what they are? Facebook, Apple, Google,
and a few others or met I should say, now Facebook. Well,
that's the same way there are with quarterbacks in the NFL.
There's about twelve really really good ones, maybe fifteen, and

(13:38):
then after that it's a hodgepodge of you know, like
the Gardner Minshews of the world. Nothing wrong with him,
he can we can win you some games as a backup,
be solid. I'll toss Baker Mayfield in there. Obviously a
better version of about Gardner Minshew. Whoever starts for the Broncos,
whether it's Stidham, Nick Zack Wilson, they're in that not

(14:01):
elite category and you go down the list and it's like, Wow,
Dj Moore, if killib Williams is good, there's a world
where the Bears really pop. Like I think they're a
wildcard team. I don't have them in right now, but
I think that obviously the potential is there. And you
just look around and you're like, man, he's had some

(14:21):
weird quarterbacks and Brandon Ayuk, don't tell me that brock
Perty's week, not when he was like third runner up
for MVP. I'm sorry, Like that's how good party was
last year. You guys can dismiss it all you want.
I'm gonna stick to my original and not waiver And
I say Brandon and Ayuk will end up staying in

(14:42):
San Francisco despite all this hullabaloo, hullabluo. What a great
underrated word. And I guess we'll be talking a lot
about Brandon and Nyuk next week. Oh quick podcast note
before we move on to the other NFL story, No
pod on Monday again. Yes, I'm trying to take a
couple days here and there to do fun stuff leading
up to the NFL season and so no pop Pot

(15:06):
will be back Tuesday. Recapping what I expect to be
the US winning a gold medal in men's basketball.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
All right, let's move on to another issue between an
NFC team and a star, and that's Jalen Hurts versus
Yes versus Nick Sirianni. Somewhat explosive report from ESPN on
Wednesday claims that they have a fractured relationship and the
hope is that Kellen Moore, Yes, Kellen Moore, who's been

(15:45):
on what three teams in four years, can mend the fences.
Rob This is ugly stuff. I mean, we're talking, you know,
ego on the part of its appears Sirianni and Hurts
not wanting to work with him. I don't know. My
overview of how the hell this happened. It's I don't
think this is rocket science. My read is Year one

(16:07):
where Hurts exploded was was Shane Stike in calling the place, Well,
the Eagles offense explodes, Oh my gosh, they're amazing. They
go to the Super Bowl. Shane Steiken is the hero.
Nick Sirianni doesn't get all the props. Shane Stiken instantly
gets a job, interview and a head coaching job off
that season, and everyone is like, oh, Shane Steiken, this
guy's the next offensive wizard. Well, Egos start out ten

(16:29):
to one even though they hired as the new OC.
Jalen Hurts his buddy, well, not his buddy, but someone
who he's known for a long time, his dad coached
him way back when in high school in Texas, and
it was like, oh, this is gonna be a perfect marriage.
Jalen Hurt gets his guy, someone he knows. But my
read is once that move happened, I think Sirianni felt like,

(16:53):
hey man, how come people aren't giving me the shine?
I know offense too, It's not just Shane Steiken, and
Sirianni started to pull Hurts aside, according to this article
on ESPN, and suggest stuff away from the OC, And
obviously Jalen Hurts is gonna be like what is that
all about? And the OC's gonna be like, what are
you doing bro? This I'm trying to think of an analogy,

(17:13):
rob This would be the equivalent. You guys know, I
own a soccer team in Mexico. I'm a minority owner.
I love soccer. I grew up playing soccer. I coach
my daughter and I've coached my son in soccer. I'm
a big fan. When it comes to this podcast, I
all of a sudden can't pretend like I'm an expert
on the EPL. I can't come in and tell you

(17:35):
why I think and insert hot take here. I will
get fifty responses, what are you talking about? You don't
know the EPL. And here's the thing I do know soccer.
I like to think I know business, the inside runnings
of how things are going at Nakosa, and we're also
minority owners of a basketball team in New Zealand. Like

(17:55):
I feel like on the business side, I can talk intelligently,
but I can't come on a podcast and ran for
twenty minutes about the EPL. I just don't have the
depth of knowledge. My areas of expertise are basketball and
football primarily. That's what I spend my most time on Gamble,
on read up out watch, That's where my focus is.
And I feel like Sirianni kind of stepped out of

(18:17):
his depth here, Rob and was just like oh, well,
you know offense, I got this, you know, Jalen Hurts
MVP candidate, and Shane Stiken gets a job. Hey, hey,
what about me over here? Guys? And apparently it got
so bad for Sirianni that he opened this off season
by addressing the team and taking responsibility for screwing up
last year. Now, listen, it takes a big person to

(18:38):
admit I screwed up on this level in front of
the entire team, and admitting it is the first step
to not sobriety, but you know, redemption and maybe Siriannis
seeing the light. But this is a big red flag
because a lot of people Robert off the Jalen Hurts bandwagon.
Remember this time last year, he was a top six
quarterback after that super Bowl performance, and now it's like

(18:59):
he's It's like, oh, CJ. Stroutz better, Like are we sure? So?
I don't know, I'm team Hurts in this. I'm not
anti Sirianni. I definitely some warning signs that you don't like.
But I don't know, Robie, it feels like Philly I
liked him a lot. We've talked with two guys here
Ta and I believe Adam Chernoff, who both on this
podcast hiked the Eagles. I'm all in. I think Eagles

(19:20):
are Super Bowl contender in the NFC, best or second
best right there with the Niners. So this feels like
a big moment for the Eagles. You're going forward.

Speaker 4 (19:29):
Yeah, I agree with everything you said about Nick Sirihanni.
I definitely think ego came into effect there before the
start of last season. Where I disagree with you, though,
is that it's mostly Sirianni. I think both parties, Sirianni
and Hurts share equal blame for this one, because again,
everything you said about Sirianni is accurate. He wanted to
have his fingerprints on the team. He started inserting himself
into meetings, started inserting himself into having one on one

(19:52):
meetings with Jalen Hurts, something that, according to the report,
had never happened before last season. However, it also notes
in the article that Jalen Hurts, when they brought in
his longtime friend as their new OC, Brian Johnson, wanted
greater authority of the offense, and Siriani was like, hey man,
what we have works. We don't need to reinvent the wheel.
Let's do what we do, and Jalen Hurts was not

(20:16):
down with that. Brian Johnson was not down with that,
and it got to a point where, according to one player,
Jalen Hurts was trying to play hero ball. He was
trying to show everybody that he was worth a two
hundred and fifty million dollar contract he had just gotten,
and with his insistence on showing off his talent level,
he actually ended up revealing some of his own limitations.

(20:36):
Because you recall he threw the most interceptions in the
NFL against the Blitz last season eight, his touchdown percentage
went way down. He was actually last in the league
amongst starters two point seven percent, and it all culminated
in that Week eighteen disaster against the Giants. He went
five of eleven for forty one yards against the Blitz
with a pick season low QBR five point three, where

(20:59):
he was so bad according to the article, he actually
reached out to win Martindale after the season, before the
playoff game and say, hey, what did you guys see
and what made you attack me the way that you did?
So sirianni Yes obviously felt some kind of way about
Styke and leaving that he wanted to show his value
to the organization, value to the team. Like you said

(21:19):
the show, he knows offense just as well as Styken.
But I think Jalen Hurts also getting that contract off
for basically one good season, which is something that Philadelphia
has been known to do right or wrongly to like
to pay their guys earlier rather than later. Jalen Hurts decided, Hey,
now that I'm getting paid like Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes,
I'm gonna show you that I play the quarterback position

(21:41):
like Joe Burrow Patrick Mahomes and that's just not his.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
Game right now.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
See that's a good point. I think the counter would be,
if he's asking for more responsibility, you could say, hey, guys,
look at the season we had. Look at the growth
I made from the playoff loss two years ago to
Tampa where they couldn't move the football. That was I'm
pretty sure that Tom Brady Tampa team. But anyways, they

(22:05):
got smoked in the first round. I think it was
thirty or nothing, and there was a lot of calling
for bench Hurts. For Gardner Minshew, I may have said
something like that so Sodia, I don't remember exactly, but
he then makes the huge leap under stike In, and
it's like, Okay, we've adjusted. The league is going to
adjust to what we're doing, clearly because they were doing
some pretty radical stuff with Stikeen, and that offense is

(22:26):
I think number one or number two.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
In the league.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
Why don't we continue to build on that? So Hurt's
just thinking, how do we continually improve?

Speaker 2 (22:33):
I e.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
What can I get more on my plate to help
the offense. And it sounds like that rubbed Siriani the
wrong way. He just kind of wanted to run it back. Hey,
let's get a figurehead in here and do exactly what
Stikeen to be doing. And I don't know. I mean,
you've seen baseball, right rob Like Pitcher goes through the
lineup once a nine up, nine down, four strikeouts, You're like, yeah,

(22:55):
we got this, And second time through they're hitting them
a little harder. Third time through and they're drilling him
and he's knocked out of the game. You can't keep
doing what you're doing, right, You had to adjust. Now,
maybe some of that is hurts, but they've got all
the pieces and now they add Barkley. I don't who
you got Lions or Eagles, who do you think is
who do you think more highly of this season heading

(23:17):
into Week one?

Speaker 4 (23:19):
Ooh, that's a really tough one because ordinarily I would
say I would lean Eagles because number one, their experience
and number two as in battled as he is. I
trust Nick Sirian in a big spot to have a
lot more than I trust Dan Cabell.

Speaker 3 (23:31):
Right, And who do you trust more? Hurts or Gough?

Speaker 2 (23:34):
Jared Goff?

Speaker 4 (23:35):
Actually, oh really, yeah I did not. Jared Goff at
least has shown it multiple times. Jalen Hurts is not.
That's the only argument against it. Yeah, but he said
he's had one great season in his career. One let's
not to say he can't do it again. And actually,
you know, I'll be honest, I don't know if this
is a hot take. I don't believe he's ever gonna
duplicate that magical year that he had two years ago.

(23:58):
And that's not a knock against him because that was
one of the great individual seasons we've seen in the
last decade.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
Yeah, you know, similar to Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 4 (24:05):
Patrick mahomes first year as a starter, many say it
was his best year as a starter statistically. Now he's
a better quarterback now, but he's not duplicating those same numbers.
Jalen Hursts can do the same thing. He can become
a better quarterback, a better player, but that doesn't mean
he's gonna have the kind of all world, all pro
level numbers year in and year out.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
Yeah no, that's I mean, I would agree with that.
I just I don't know about the Lions. Like the
teams are heading in opposite directions, right, The Lions are
ascending and now they're gonna be hunted. Right, everybody know
the Lions aren't seeking up on anybody this year, whereas
the Eagles they were. The Lions last year start ten
to one, crater to the finish, destroyed in the wildcard round. Now,

(24:46):
everybody's kind of off Philly, right. They lose Kelsey, their center,
and it's like, oh, Sirianni loses both of his assistants.
He's on the hot seat. I mean, the dude started
ten in one the last two years. So it feels
like the Eagles and the Lions are two ships passing.
But I don't know. I think I would lean Eagles
over the Lions. Now, where do you have niner? Still
one for you?

Speaker 2 (25:07):
For now? I mean until proven. Otherwise you got to
stick with them.

Speaker 4 (25:10):
I mean, as long as they have Kyle Shanhan even
for all his wards, as long as they have Brock Purdy,
who seems like steady Eddy, and if Christian McCaffrey is healthy,
they're still going to be at their worst case, you know,
a ten win team. So and unlike the rest of
the teams in that NFC, they have a history of
playoff success. May not always be you know, winning a

(25:31):
super Bowl, but they historically perform well in the postseason.
So you always have to give the edge to San
Francisco no matter who is on their roster. Provided Shanahan
party and again McCaffrey's there.

Speaker 3 (25:42):
Yeah, we could wrap up with quick picks on today's
Olympics showdown in men's hoops, France five point dogs against
Germany eight thirty am Pacific tip and then the usay.
Now this was seventeen and a half and it's now
down to sixteen and a half. I still think there's
value on Serbia in that one. I don't know if

(26:03):
I feel think Germany is the better team, but I
feel like you can't give France five points. Wembin Yama
and the home court advantage, So I would lean toward
both dogs, France and Serbia in today's game. We gotta
start getting ready. The mindset of best bet rob given
an NFL is a couple of weeks away.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
Yeah, well, you're the guy they count for the best bet.
No one has ever looked to me for gambling advice,
So it's more about you than me. Because to illustrate
that point, you're taking the dogs, both of them, taking
the favorites in.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
Both of them. Oh gee, so one of us is
gonna look like a genius. It's probably gonna be you.

Speaker 3 (26:33):
But now Germany's clearly better than France. But you know,
the go beart situation, which is we talked about yesterday,
which is bizarre. Ken wembin Yama takeover. You know, I
would love to see Wemby against the USA. I just
I don't I think Germany would give the US a
better shot in the final, which is this weekend. All right,
that'll do it for today's pod. Back tomorrow. We'll talk

(26:55):
to you then,
