Speaker 3 (00:26):
A let's go.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
This is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff, presented by
Bett mg App. Now we're live from your tailgate. Here's
Brian no Hier, NFL veteran Jeff Schwartz at sports handicapper
from crackwins dot com Bill crack Krackenberger.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Oh what is going on? Everybody? Welcome in Fox Sports Radios.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
Countdown to Kickoff is back, and I'm seeing Jeff Schwartz
high in tight right there, man, A little bit of
a buzz cut going on, Jeff.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
I like it.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
I like what I'm saying here.

Speaker 5 (01:06):
I might be losing here. I don't know. I'm probably
losing here because of the preseason wagers that I've been
making the last couple of days. Because our next our
best friend here, Bill Krockenberger, ain't nobody been in the
preseason like this, like my men right here, and I
have enjoyed every second of it. You know, I woke
up this morning. I keep my phone on silent Gods.

(01:27):
I woke up this morning to an eleven forty five
pm Eastern second half wager from crack Oh. I just
I love it so much. I love it so much, guys.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
I felt bad actually texting so late. I was like,
you know, I know Jeff said he gets up at
six thirty, but and then I'm thinking maybe even Brian's
and Brian's like, no, get bringing out, and Brian was
up until the end of the game like texting me
and no. It was a nice little night cap of
Dallas Cowboys plus three and a half. It's funny. One
of the sportsbooks out here had a four, so I

(01:57):
bet plus four second half. They moved instantly to two
and a half. Now, I want to just tell you something,
Me or any sharpest guy in the world cannot move
a line like that and not say to yourself, Jesus,
the minus two and a half sports something. I mean, here,
you have thirty minutes of football in preseason, when it's
a grind, this low scoring game. I tell you, if

(02:21):
they allowed betting on both sides of the game. That's
the way I would have went. I would have lost
here the other bet, but my bet one. And when
I say aloud, you know, some sportsbooks treat it as
that's right money laundering if you're betting both sides of
a game in that particular sports book. A lot of
these new sports books to the country treat it like that.
But you know, I guess they really should know though,

(02:42):
if you have established to count for years, obviously there's
no money wandering going on. But yeah, so that was
a nice nightcap game and I had a funny feeling
you were sleeping, but Brian got it, so that was
at least someone got it on the on the list there.
And you know it's funny. I had dinner with Jared
Smith last night and as I'm texting things, Jared's like saying, wait, wait, wait,

(03:02):
why and why am I not on this list? I
was like, oh god, I was like, Jared, we'll get
you in that. So I sent Jared the game too,
and we'll have to get them on the our text
list here because I send that to you guys first.
You know, it's funny, Brian, you don't know this. So
Jeff and I were having a conversation last week. I
was like, Jeff, listen, now that you're legal over there

(03:23):
and you have all these sportsbooks, please tell me. I'm
giving you the guys. I'm giving you guys a game
a minute to two minutes early before anyone in the world.
And you know, I'd just like to say that me
and my guys control the preseason market. And Jeff's like, no,
my stuff, don't worry about it. Send it over.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
Let's send it over. I got seven accounts. I'm like,
send me all the information you can. It's given me
stuff to like watch like otherwise, some of these games
are They're unwatchable. I'm I'm a football fan as best
as they come, guys. Some of these games are unwatchable.
Like the third or four string guys are bad. The
quarterback play has been a trochy. There are teams that

(04:01):
don't even playing their first or second string quarterbacks. They're
just going right to the third string quarterback. I mean
Panthers Jets last night was a slog. And by the way,
I thought I had Panthers. I guess I didn't.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (04:12):
I thought I had a plus three and a half.
I couldn't find the wager. I thought you had it too,
but they I gotta find the wager. But they scored
the last They weren't even trying. They were down nine points, guys, okay,
fifteen to six. They weren't even trying to score in
the final two minutes. And then Dylan Johnson, Washington running
back from last season. We watched him play last year.
He broke off two straight runs to end the game

(04:33):
and faced with a touchdown, So Panthers lost by only three.
So like if I didn't have money on that game,
which I can't even find the wager, I thought I
had Panthers plus three and a half. That like you,
you wouldn't even have any point to watch some of
these games. So I've enjoyed the way during the preseason.
It's been very fruitful and I'm ready for real football

(04:53):
back Brian soon. It'd be soon enough. He'll be here,
soon enough.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
I know we're inch and closer and closer. But man,
crack has been all over the preseason football bets.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Yeah, it's been a good It's been a good season again. Yeah,
last year last year, I uh, I actually won I
think about fifteen units this year, I'm on the same
pace to do the same. I'm just looking out my text.
I have to o MidiX. I know he had plus
three and a half on this game.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
I thought I did too. I gotta find it. Look,
I tell you guys this, and this is what I
keep every couple of days. I don't have to do it.
Today's I bet a lot yesterday different things. I track
every wager I make, so I'll go through all my accounts, good,
bad and different. I mean, I had a couple three
days in a row and baseball middle of the week
last week that were not not good. It wasn't very
fun to put that into the spreadsheet. But this is

(05:37):
how I know what I'm doing, where I'm at, who
I should wager on. But part of that is, like
I will put in all these wagers. I'll go through
all my sports books in a little bit. And what
I'm about BETMGM is they have not limited me. So
it's the best.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
That's good. There you go. Good.

Speaker 5 (05:52):
I love it so far.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Yeah, and I like that. Brian tell you, well, you
guys have not not listened. It's hard to to it
really is. Everyone has their own egos and everyone has
their one. I'll get patted on the back and I
understand that. But I'll tell you one thing, I am
still open to learning. If someone tells me their model,
their algorithms, something that they have, I'll listen. I'm not
going to bet it right away. I need some some

(06:14):
pre I need some back tested methods to know. I
need to see more. A lot of guys on you know,
everyone on Twitter wins, so but I like to know
a little bit more. And you know, you guys, it
was new. Even though I think Jeff and I follow
each other before we started the show a few years back,
it was kind of new to Brian. And I love
that Brian. He'll bet everything I sends, mostly everything. Like

(06:37):
you know, you have to lose, you have to lose
any allegiance to any team here. So if I say
bet against the Miami, Brian's betting against Miami. You know,
even though he doesn't like to, he knows he'll get
the best of it. Wine watched. But I got to
give you guys credit, and you know I'm hoping, and
this is since we're back. First week last year, you
both and Jeff actually beat the number. You know, one

(06:59):
that did did really well in the Crack Challenge. I'm
hoping we're bringing that back because that's the hardest thing
to do out there. I'm sure you people know. Do
you know how hard it is to win the day
of the game betting the NFL regular season? These guys
both give five picks against the current spread with five
minutes to go before these games start, and they both

(07:19):
did really well last year. I hope we do it
again this year.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
Yeah, I'm looking forward to that.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
We're gonna do it all season long, and yeah, hopefully
we're on the plus side again this year because we
don't want to be at something like forty three percent.
You know, Crack will disown us.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
That's probably the number two. You actually probably hit the
number forty three to forty five percent for the right
number which you're supposed to hit. You guys both hit
like fifty two and Jeff hit like fifty three and
a half percent last year, which is a winning that listen,
fifty three and a half percent. Yeah, you have to
beat fifty two point three eight. However, like Jeff said,
he has seven outs, seven different places to bet. That

(07:56):
means fifty two point three eight is not the number
you have to beat. That number goes down to like
fifty one and a half fifty one percent because you
have so many options. Maybe I've reduced JUICEP and gofa
be you want to put these bonuses in the mix,
you literally have to be like fifty and a half
percent fifty one percent overall the whole season to win.
So that you, guys, congratulations to both these Well, one of.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
The preseason games yesterday was the Bears. Right the Bears
were taking on the Bengals, and I'm curious where you
guys come out on Caleb Williams, because we're we're looking
at these preseason games and trying to apply bits and
pieces to the regular season, to real football that we're
going to see here in short order. So you look

(08:38):
at the Bears, and it was a shaky start. There
were three straight three and outs for Caleb Williams and
the Bears, and then they came alive in the second quarter.
You saw a beautiful deep ball from Caleb Williams to
Roma doonsa rookie to Rookie's a beautiful play. And then
Caleb Williams scored a touchdown. He ran about forty eight

(09:00):
yards on a seven yard touchdown. Run and everybody's just drooling.
It's just like, oh, look at the creativity, and it
is there, But I wonder where you guys come out
because a lot of this was against the backups of
the Bengals and three straight three and outs.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
That can't just be glossed over.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
So you see the playmaking ability, the creativity, all of
that stuff, but you also saw the struggles. So as
it applies to Caleb Williams and the Bears, what are
you expecting this season from him and the team?

Speaker 5 (09:30):
Yeah? Look, Brian and Krack and everyone listening, the preseason
serves a couple purposes, right, Because no one plays their
starters anymore, it's hard to tell what you know sort
of what's happening because like the Chiefs lines, right, Like
the Chiefs played their one offense against the line second team,
and the Chiefs offense was just roaring like it looked
great with Mahomes. It should and that's my point. It should. Okay,

(09:52):
So it should? Is the way I look at the preseason, Brian,
is if it's ones versus twos, twos versus ones, does
it look like it's should with the starters are playing? Okay?
So I think when you look at Kivid Williams, it's
the Bengals backups. And you look at how the offense
played yesterday. For the first couple of drives, it did
not look like it should. Right, it was a little sluggish.

(10:14):
It was a little slow. But then you have to
take the nuance in the situation, Right, how much did
they game plan this week? We don't know, right, every
team does different the Chiefs for example, And why was
we were on in the Chiefs first half and ended
up getting a We got a pushed on that one.
The Chiefs game plan the first half like they game
plan like it's a regular season week. So I know
they try. Okay, I don't know how much the Bears tried,

(10:36):
and it looked a little sluggish. But the thing about
it is, Brian, I didn't think it was Kivid Williams's fault.
He didn't miss many throws in the first couple of drives.
He hated to drop on third down by DJ Moore.
And so that's my scales, like does it look like
it should and then what's the reason why or why not?
So the Bears, to me, there's too much hype on
the Bears in general, Like I'm sort of not anti Bears, Brian,

(11:00):
but to me, it feels difficult to really wager on
anything Bears related because everyone's gonna wage and everything Bears
related and everyone, you know, the their total keeps getting
pushed up and up and up. There also winning the division,
all these things, I think, to me are just they're there,
They're they're too much hype. Rookie quarterback, first time playing

(11:23):
in the NFL. I think Kayla Williams is incredible. I
think he's going to be a great NFL quarterback. But
it feels like the hype train has gotten so like,
so much more than it it should be at the moment.
And I would just I just cast you, like I
just say, you know what, just maybe maybe sit out

(11:46):
the Bears for a little bit to see what they
are before you go full speed ahead.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
Before I talk about Williams and the Bears. I have
to tell you something now, exactly what going back to
what I said this last minute here, you have to
have different, multiple shops. I'll tell you Jeff had to
put I sent three first half yesterday I said Buffalo
plus a half. I believe I went to a one.
Buffalo won the Bears minus three and a half win
the Chiefs. I said, minus five and a half are better.

(12:12):
I seen minus four and a half minus zho two
out there, and Jeff for got a minus four. I lost.
I lost. Jeff actually pushed. Now that's amazing where I'm
giving out a game and I have tons outs here
and Jeff, actually, that's what I mean about that. Fifty
two point three eight is not correct. It can go
down to like fifty one percent, just like that happening

(12:32):
yesterday with Jeff. So congratulations, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (12:35):
I gotta push, thankful because the Chiefs gave up like
seventy yards to running backs.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
Oh yeah, you text that final drive drive.

Speaker 5 (12:42):
So but it goes back to like do like does
it look like it should? And there are glimpses of
Cavid Williams and the play he made to Roma dunesday
was fantastic. It was great. It was fantastic, But again,
like it should look that way when he's playing against
the twos and we're not gonna get he's not gonna
probably play Week three, He's O They've already played three

(13:03):
preseason games, right, it's say the Hall of Fame game.
So Brian, to me, it looks like it should you know,
they're plus three twenty five right now to win the
North on bet MGM. The Vikings are now way further
back because of the of the JJ McCarthy injury, But
the Vikings plus nine hundred to me is a better
wager than Bears plus three twenty five. Vikings are good.

(13:25):
They got a dudes. If Donald can be okay like that,
that's just the numbers for the Bears I think are
our way. I've been bet too much, Brian.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
Yeah, it's uh, I like how you say it right,
You shouldn't be doing you know, like shirtless cartwheels if
the ones get the better of the twos, you know.
And that's how I feel it is right now with
Caleb Williams and the Bears. Is I mean, listen, they've
been starving for a good quarterback play forever.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
So I get it. I get it.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
I'll give him little bit of slack, these Bears fans.
But when you're going crazy because your starters got the
better of the backups, I'm like, is that.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
What we want to be doing right now?

Speaker 3 (14:08):
You know?

Speaker 4 (14:08):
Like I want to see it ones versus ones, and
we're gonna see that very shortly here. And that's where
it can look a whole lot different, can absolutely look different.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
So looking forward to that.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
Let me tell you something too out here in Vegas, guys,
the Bears. Every year, if you're gonna bet Bears to
win the you know, to win anything or you know
that the season specials, or to make the playoffs. And
I want to talk about, like to win the super Bowl,
to win the playoffs. Oh my god, you you well,
for lack of a better word, you get robbed in
Vegas because everyone that the sportsbooks already know that there's

(14:42):
a big Bears contingency that loves to bet futures on
the Bears here in Vegas, one of the teams even
when they were terrible, it doesn't matter. There's still gonna
be a lot of bets here in Vegas on the Bears.
And you know, let me tell you something. I think
the Bears fans can get legitimately excited this year will
rookie quarterback. But he isn't the normal rookie quarterback. He

(15:03):
has all the tools to be a superstar in this league.
Long term. The Bears front office already put all the
pieces around him be successful. They probably have the best
or one of the best wide receiver groups in all
of the NFL. Alan Moore dudees like listen. I don't
see any reason the Bears can't win eight or nine
games and fight for a playoff spot. So I think
they're a Super Bowl already. Absolutely not, but they can

(15:24):
be competitive in this NFC and maybe make the playoffs
this year.

Speaker 4 (15:26):
That's the voice of Bill Krackenberger, sports handicapper from crackwins

Speaker 4 (17:10):
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by BETMGM.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
All season long.

Speaker 4 (17:16):
Betmgm's offering you a second chance on your first touchdown
bet when a customer places a wager on a first
touchdown scorer bet and he does not score first, but
score second. BETMGM will return one hundred percent of their
stake in cash. That is a great promotion right there. Okay,

(17:39):
this is not great. The Steelers offense didn't look great
with Russell Wilson as the starter. He got five series
last night, didn't even throw for fifty yards. Justin fields
got in. There was a mixed bag. He made one
razzle dazzle play. But then there was a tweet. I
wish I could remember who put it out there, but
it's just a screenshot and it said year four and

(18:02):
it was justin fields in the pocket and there was
a wide open receiver downfield and he needed not throw
it to that receiver.

Speaker 1 (18:09):
So it's it's not great.

Speaker 4 (18:10):
It's not in mid season form over there with the Steelers.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
There are a lot of people that are saying start
justin fields.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
Justin fields right here, right now, is not a better
quarterback than Russell Wilson. And I'm not saying that the
Steelers are bound to win twelve games with Russell Wilson,
but justin fields, right here, right now is not better
than Russell Wilson. Is my hunches. Russ Steele is QB
one to start the season. How about you, Jeff? Where
do you come out on this quarterback debate?

Speaker 5 (18:40):
The Steelers should feel ashamed that they went to a
season with Russell Wilson justin fields as their quarterbacks neither
are good. Like look the preseason. It shouldn't be used
at times to confirm priors, you know, like we've seen
this who the time where team was owned four in
the preseason but then they you know, they play well.
Or was one year I think the Lion's year that

(19:01):
went oh to sixteen the reversent went four to o
in the preseason. Okay, you know, sure, but the same
things that plagued both these quarterbacks are showing up again
in the preseason on a different team. That's the problem.
And when you watch this team, I understand Again there's
varying degrees of game planning for the second game, which
is sort of the dress rehearsal. But the Steelers played

(19:22):
their ones for a long time in this game, which
means to me they game planned for this game. The
game plan was also Brian atrocious. It was a boring, bland,
miserable looking offense. You know, they had a fourth down
with with with Justin Fields. It was I think it
was the second half, fourth and two. The Bills called timeout. Okay,

(19:45):
everyone knows Justin Field is keeping the ball on this
fourth down, Brian, everyone knew it. Guess what the Steelers did,
kept the ball and fourth down and lost eight yards
and handled ball back to the Bills. Okay, Like it
was boring, it was blanned. There weren't many big throws.
The offensive line can't block in Pittsburgh, which is a
problem right now. So it's not just Russell Wilson fields,

(20:06):
it's play calling, it's offensive line wise, it's just it's
a mess man. And I don't think this magical, Like
we never lose enough games in Pittsburgh. It's gonna play
this year. I think they've they've chosen to have the
worst quarterback room in the division because Watson. I think
Watson's just average in Cleveland. That makes them the worst
quarterback room in the division. I have questions about the

(20:28):
Ravens offensive line. Can you know? Can the can you know?
The Bengals have offensive line injuries right now. But I
like Burrow. I like Cleveland a lot. I took them
at plus six hundred, by the way to win the
division got a good number there early early on. But
the Steelers. Nothing they've done offensively, and it's in these
two games makes me believe that all they're going to

(20:51):
win nine or ten games this season, which is their
goal to make the playoffs. I don't know about you, crack,
I know you don't watch it quite like I do.
I think we both had bills yesterday, so I'll take
my money. But yeah, Also, by the way, Bills don't
lie to us about Josh Allen playing all week, like
just that was terrible, Like they said he's playing all
week and then he didn't. He didn't play.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
Come on, he warmed up. The beat reporter who follows
the team like god said, oh you know, I even
tell you the tweet. He said, oh, yeah, he's playing.
I mean, it just so happens. We actually lucked out there.
I don't know if we had. I think I sent
you guys to put a peanut plus on the Bill's
first quarter plus a half minus like forty, and uh,
we probably got lucky to even win that. I think

(21:31):
it was free three or whoever it was.

Speaker 5 (21:32):
I know it was tied zero zero zero three a
half time because both offenses were playing so well.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
Right right, But you know, people, there's blood on the
line here. Just just you know, talking to anyone that
may get to the team. We're all betting here. What
are you guys doing. Don't give us bad info. We're
gambling here, you know. But yeah, and sure enough he
was warming up, but he didn't play at all. So

(21:59):
it's funny, you know before where I give you a
little my little comments on the team, on the Pittsburgh team.
So yesterday, yes I had Buffalo in the game, but
I also had a second half bet on Pittsburgh based
on information that some starters were going to be playing
against you know, third and fourth teams there. And Jeff
was sworn enough to say, hey, I'm just gonna go
to my original position. Well, first you asked me, are

(22:21):
you middling the game? Well, no, there's no bet at
second half that I'm gonna purposely middle the game. Every
bet is independent of each other. So that bet was
made on based on just information. Doesn't matter if I
have the bills for the game. I still had a
little bit more on the bills though, but it was
a good good and Jeff's like, no, I'm not room

(22:41):
for both sides. Give me the Bills.

Speaker 5 (22:43):
I couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. I couldn't
I couldn't have like and look from my football mind, Brian,
I know you're parab of the text change too, So
I thought you saw this too, lot. It's three to three,
and I justin Field was playing for the second half
against mister Bisky, who looked even worse in both Wilson
and Yes and Fields like he was atrocious. Is that
like I understood that wager. I'm like, yeah, Fields will score,

(23:06):
He'll run around like he'll do something enough to get
them a touchdown, and the Bills can't score it all,
so Steel's probably cover the second half. I just couldn't
do it. I couldn't do it. I had Bills plus
three and a half. I was gonna sit where I was.

Speaker 3 (23:16):
Is there any quarterback in the history of football that
has more money in the bank that is probably terrible
even when he was getting the big money than Trubisky.
I mean, I've just read about he's got like one
hundred million dollars.

Speaker 5 (23:29):
What Jesus he keeps fooling on man. But anyway, okay.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
So going back to on paper, this does look like
Tomlin's worst year he's ever had, and they may be
able to trouble with Pittsburgh. But listen, and speaking of
quarterbacks falling, has any quarterback in the NFL history literally
fallen from superstar to irrelevant as fast as Russell Wilson
Three years ago he was considered one of the best
quarterbacks in the league and got another guy that got

(23:57):
a massive contract. His agent should well, not really, because
he was that good, so I shouldn't say his agents
should be in jail. He's now barely a starter, so
they really in Seattle they must have a be having
a collective sigh for letting Wilson go when they did well.

Speaker 4 (24:13):
That's the crazy thing to me, too, crack is if
you look at Russ versus Justin Fields, like, look, Justin
Fields has given us three years. I could bombard you
with stats of these three years where completion percentage wise
he's amongst like Desmond.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
Ridder, you know what I mean. And and uh, passer.

Speaker 4 (24:35):
Rating wise, he's he's been bad. He's He's passer rating
for three seasons has been around eighty two. That's the
career for Justin Fields. That is awful. That last season
would put you in the territory right in between Desmond
Ridder and Kenny Pickett for last season, Like that's what
he's done for three years. I don't get people still

(24:56):
putting this guy on a pedestal.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
It's crazy to me. I get it. He's exciting, he
can run around.

Speaker 4 (25:01):
He's got great athletic ability, he's got speed, he can
entertain you. He can make some highlight reel plays. But
he's an accurate way too often. He's inconsistent. He doesn't
make good reads. And the thing with Russell Wilson, I
hear you crack. I know that he has regressed greatly,
but you look at russ last season, He's eighth in

(25:21):
the league in passer rating. Like everybody's still dumping on
the guy. He had twenty six touchdown passes in eight
picks in fifteen games. Is Justin Field's ever in his
career gonna throw twenty six touchdown passes in a season?

Speaker 1 (25:34):
That's an honest question. I don't think he will.

Speaker 4 (25:37):
No, And yet people are like, I start justin Field
or good luck?

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Good luck with that is all I can.

Speaker 5 (25:42):
Say I people, and I've had this take for a
long time now. I mean, you guys have heard this.
If you listen on the show long enough, people are
fascinated with quarterbacks that can run, Brian and it's super
cool and everything, And I get it. They're highlight plays.

(26:04):
They're great plays, they're fun, they're great for fantasy football.
My quarterback rush for fifty yards, I know, that's five points. Great, Like,
that's awesome, great, right, rushing touchdown, give me six points
a fins, that's eleven points right there, right, A fifty
yard rush and a touchdown. Great. But those game by game,
month by month, year over year, don't end up being

(26:26):
winning plays. Right. What wins is passing from the pocket. Okay,
that's what wins. And the best quarterbacks the NFL and Mahomes,
Josh Allen Lamar, you know C. J. Stroud and Herbert
and Burrow and all these guys you want to talk about.
I'm sure I left someone out there. The highlight plays
they make are always toes from the pockets. Now, maybe

(26:48):
they're on the run. I'm not saying you to be
immobile like Tom Brady and Drew Bradies and Peyton Man
and can't move it all. Now, those guys are more
mobile than give them credit for. In the pocket themselves.
But yeah, getting out of the pocket to make extra
special plays is totally fine. But we talked about Katleb
Williams earlier and the discussion was, what about the other
plays when he didn't make that special play? Like those
the non special quote with special plays or it makes

(27:10):
an offense go. The extra plays are great, don't get
me wrong, but Fields continually does not do the easy things. Well,
he had a touchdown pass last night, guys wide open
and the excuses. I read the replies on tweets and
it's like, oh, the guy like stopped running the ball
was eight feet over his head. However he stopped running,

(27:32):
he wasn't catching the ball. I don't want you, what
do you want?

Speaker 3 (27:35):
Like?

Speaker 5 (27:36):
Those are plays where there are no excuses. The ball
has to be completed to a wide receiver opened for
a touchdown on a shot play.

Speaker 4 (27:44):
That's the thing, man, I think right now, and I
want to get on a pedestal. But your comments made
me think of this, Jeff, is that wow is overvalued.
That's the way it works in today's NFL. Is justin
Field still has the ability at times uncertain plays to
wow you. Russell Wilson doesn't do that. As much much.

(28:04):
It's not as flashy. It doesn't look the same. He's
not gonna lead Sports Center, right. Justin Fields might on
a certain play, and so people will go wow with
Justin Fields, and they overvalue that. I don't think there's
automatically anything wrong with wow, as long as you don't
lose in the shuffle. Hey, it's third and seven. He's

(28:24):
got a wide open guy, make an accurate throw and
move the chains, and there are far too many times
he just doesn't do that. Deil On cares that's the
difference between winning and losing in the NFL. I'll tell
you who does wowist though, is a man named Isaac
Loewen craw Huh. You listen to his update and you
will say Wow.

Speaker 7 (28:44):
The man speaks truth. What can I tell you?

Speaker 1 (28:46):
It's right? See wow already.

Speaker 8 (28:48):
I guarantee you you'll be saying wow at the conclusion
of what I am about to say. But it actually
doesn't have anything to do with me per se. But
first of all, we start with something that's always welcome,
and that's fresh NFL news. On this Sunday morning, multiple
outlets reporting that the Minnesota Vikings signing five time Pro
Bowl cornerbacks Stefan Gilmour to a.

Speaker 7 (29:10):
One year, ten million dollar deal.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
On the field.

Speaker 8 (29:12):
On Saturday night, Cowboys over the Raiders in Vegas, twenty
seven to twelve. Dallas's Brandon Aubrey kicked a sixty six
yard field goal at the halftime gun that would have
tied the NFL record had it been.

Speaker 7 (29:24):
A regular season game.

Speaker 3 (29:26):
Wow.

Speaker 8 (29:26):
Afterwards, Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce said he'll decide the
starting quarterback job between Aid and O'Connell and Gardner Minshew
within the next couple of days. In Major League Baseball,
on Saturday night, the Atlanta Braves defeated the Los Angeles
Angels in Anaheim eleven to three. Brave starting pitcher Chris
Saale k ten in six innings to approve his record
to fourteen and three Brewers a two to one victory

(29:49):
over Cleveland. Milwaukee's won four straight and leads the nl
Central by ten. Cardinals hit three home runs at a
five to two to one over the Dodgers to break
a five game.

Speaker 7 (29:58):
Losing streak.

Speaker 8 (30:00):
Back to the NFL, and a video that is going
viral as we speak. It is up to eight point
seven million views already on Twitter. And it comes from
last night's preseason game between the Chargers and the Rams.
They did that kiss cam thing on the video board,
and it cut to a man and a woman, the

(30:23):
man wearing a Rams Pukah Nukua jersey, the woman wearing
a Chargers jersey. The man gets up, goes into the aisle,
gets down on one knee, pulls a ring out and
proposes wow.

Speaker 7 (30:41):
The lady says no, wow.

Speaker 8 (30:46):
However, that was Now, that was not the end of it,
because as this was going on, remember he was kneeling
in the aisle, someone happened to be coming down the aisle,
and about a second after the lady said no, the
person coming down the aisle spilled their nachos on the guy,

(31:09):
adding insult and nacho cheese sauce to injury. Eight point
seven million views on social media and counting.

Speaker 7 (31:16):
However, and good lord, I hope this is the case.

Speaker 8 (31:19):
There is a widespread suspicion, including yours truly, that the
whole thing was staged because it was a Chargers home
game and the guy was wearing a Rams jersey and
the lady was wearing a Chargers jersey.

Speaker 5 (31:32):
Back to the Los Angeles too, where there's a bunch
of actors and actresses open work would never happened.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
No, no, it never happened.

Speaker 4 (31:42):
Right there, it is Fox Sports Radios count down to kickoff.

seen a lot of these staged proposal videos that games
gone wrong, But how about the nacho cheese on top
of the guy that got dissed. You know, that's a
nice little addition.

Speaker 5 (32:36):
I think Jeff, my wife told me that if I
proposed to her at a sporting event, she would leave me.
So that could have been my real life if I
had done it that way.

Speaker 1 (32:48):
So where did you propose?

Speaker 5 (32:50):
On the beach? At Myrtle Beach? Dirty Myrtle? Yeah it
was no one was there was perfect? But you know
I would never do it a stadium. Oh no, that
would be no. She'd leave me a heartbeat. She's guys,
Can I tell you she gave me the best gift today? Okay,
she's at Myrtle Beach right now with my son. My
son all of a sudden loves to fish. No idea

(33:12):
why I can't stand it. I don't have any patience
for it. My wife not a big fisher, no idea,
but with cousins like, he loves it. He fished all
day yesterday. I bought one of those like Columbia fishing shirts,
like a kid one. He's got a bucket hat, sunglasses on.
I said, he has a picture, he's got fishing stands
like he's like a his stands on his pole. Okay,
he's living the dream. My wife goes, hey, when did

(33:33):
she text me this?

Speaker 3 (33:33):
Mo?

Speaker 5 (33:34):
Hey? When do kids sports start? And I said, after
labor day like around then, right, like baseball, st ball
stuff swim. She goes, you know what, I'm thinking about
taking the kids to the beach to fish again over
Labor Day weekend? Is that okay with you? I could
not say yes fast enough, Guys. I get to watch
the first weekend of college football Friday, Saturday, Sunday and

(33:59):
probably this. I know there was always like a nine
game Monday by myself at home, me the dog. Yesterday, guys,
I smoked some ribs. I made salt and pepper shrimp,
which I love from like a like a Chinese, a
Chinese food staple. I love like thee a Chinese restaurant.
I made this chopped bagel and locks. I took the

(34:19):
cream cheese out and put the smoked salmon on it,
cucumbers on eath. I chopped it up real fine, and
then just like a master together put on a bagel.
I did whatever I wanted for the last two days.
I'm gonna do that for four days and watch football
and gamble on it. Guys. What's better than that?

Speaker 3 (34:35):
Brian? Where did you think he was going with that?
When he said, yeah, I just smoked some ribs.

Speaker 5 (34:41):
Yeah, I'm scared buddy. They were. I'll tell you what, man,
they were. The season was a little bit off. I
tried something different this time. I'm not gonna do that
again when I tried. But they were cooked like, they
were cooked perfectly. They were.

Speaker 3 (34:52):
There's nothing like bad flavoring on it. Yeah, nothing like
having your own space. So uh so you're s them
to Are they going to Myrtle Beach again?

Speaker 5 (35:02):
Yeah? To fish? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (35:04):
Oh nice? Nice? Nice?

Speaker 1 (35:05):
Did you say it like smartly enough, Jeff?

Speaker 3 (35:08):
Where it was it?

Speaker 4 (35:08):
Like?

Speaker 5 (35:08):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (35:09):
Go She's like, wait a minute, no, I said, I.

Speaker 5 (35:11):
Was hoping you would. I was hoping you would say, yes,
you can watch the dog for the weekend. I said, great,
sign me up. She's football football starts, no.

Speaker 4 (35:19):
Idea, best of both worlds, right there? Win win, Absolutely,
that's crazy.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
Brian, Brian, before you say anything, I'm gonna know this.
How about you getting married? Have you proposed yet?

Speaker 1 (35:30):
Not yet? Well I have before I'm divorced.

Speaker 4 (35:34):
But like we're on the doorstep here, you know, we're
in the red zone zone of this relationship here, crack.
By the way, where did you propose? Was it at
a a Motley Crewe concert?

Speaker 1 (35:45):
I'm hoping it was.

Speaker 3 (35:46):
Yeah, it was. It was actually just a real simple
thing in the backyard. Yeah years ago, Yeah, twenty seven
years ago.

Speaker 4 (35:52):
Very nice, awesome, like the Yankees. The amount of championships that,
that's right, very good. Bill Krackenberger with us here sports
handicapper from crackwins dot com. Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran.
I'm Brian No coming up next. Ah, the parlay platter.
We'll each have one selection for you. We group it
together for a greater payout. Stay tuned for that. It's

(36:14):
around the corner. This is Fox Sports Radios count Down
to Kickoff presented by BETMGM. It is Fox Sports Radios
Countdown to Kickoff presented by bet MGM. Once a day,
Monday through Friday, play the free to play BETMGM Ultimate
Teams to receive an Ultimate Teams card with a pro

(36:36):
football team and spread. If that team covers the spread
that NFL week, you can win prizes. So if you
play every day Monday through Friday, have all five of
your teams cover, you are eligible to win betmgm's weekly jackpot.
Really cool stuff.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
All right, let's dive into this.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
Check this out r late letter.

Speaker 4 (36:58):
Okay, we'll each have a selection four for we group
everything together for a greater payout. We'll start with you, Jeff.
Where you taking us today?

Speaker 5 (37:05):
All right, Brian? Are you doing a future or are
you doing a wager for today? Because I'll determine what
I do here.

Speaker 1 (37:11):
I'm gonna do a wager for today.

Speaker 5 (37:13):
Great, but for today. Okay, So one thing I've done
this year is I have wagered the run line against
the White Sox every single day and has been a
very profitable, profitable thing to do. The books have gone smart, though,
they have gone to minus two and a half. So
right now in the ben MGM, it's minus Astros minus
two and a half, minus one fifteenth. Since we're in

(37:33):
a parlay, guy, since we're in a parlay, I'll go
back to the run line. Houston minus one and a
half and minus one ninety. They're at home. They lost
the first game of the series. They won yesterday by five.
They're gonna win today by two runs or more.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
Okay, what do you like, crack?

Speaker 3 (37:50):
I am gonna stick with the football today. And as
you guys know, I have Denver for the game. I
just wanted to make sure bet MGM's line. I actually
like them minus four. There is no option. There's no
option for a first half for there. But let's go
to the I'll lay the four and a half Broncos
first half. They're supposed to be playing a lot of
guys here compared to Green Bay. So let's go Broncos

(38:13):
first half minus four and a half.

Speaker 4 (38:15):
Okay, I'm gonna take you to baseball. I feel like
we're pretty well rounded here.

Speaker 3 (38:19):
Crack.

Speaker 4 (38:20):
You got football, Jeff, and I have baseball. I'm gonna
go with the Mariners Pirates game. Give me under eight
and a half. The Mariners have been ice cold match
ice cold offensively and not just as of late, like
they're just not a great hitting team, and they're one
of the best teams in e ER. So I see
this being a low scoring game. Maybe the Mariners finally

(38:43):
win one, but give me under eight and a half.
I see a low scoring game today. I know it's random,
but I like that play quite a bit.

Speaker 3 (38:52):
Jeff, you've been with me on this.

Speaker 1 (38:53):
I like your season model of fading the White Sox.
You've had a lot of success with that I have.

Speaker 5 (38:58):
I love this is the first time so we would
do in this show. Then I can actually do this
because I am in a state now that a lot
of legal sports wagering, and he's the bet MGM app
at home, so it's the first. Normally I just have
to say what I'm doing based off of numbers. I
can't actually get in with you guys now, I can't.
So I'm excited to do this and I can. This
is exciting. What an exciting day.

Speaker 1 (39:18):
Now, if you were going with the future, Jeff, what
did you have on deck right to give us?

Speaker 5 (39:24):
Well? I was looking at like week zero college football lines.

Speaker 3 (39:28):
Okay, okay, I.

Speaker 5 (39:33):
N the one, the one NFL the one NFL number
that I really like for Week one, And I keep
going back to this, and I don't know if ed
Sharp's wrong, but it's just what I like. The Browns
minus one and a half at home against Dallas. I
just this number to me seems Dallas is starting two

(39:55):
rookie offensive linement on the road in their first game
against the Browns. I just think Broad's gonna win this
game by a feel little bit more. That's my favorite
Week one number.

Speaker 4 (40:04):
Yeah, little week one action, Yeah, maybe little Week zero action.
We'll get a college football into the mix here shortly
coming up next?

Speaker 3 (40:13):
What we want to do.

Speaker 4 (40:13):
We want to look at NFL season win totals because Man,
all three of us are have strong opinions on this market.

Speaker 1 (40:21):
We will dive into that coming up. Hang with us.

Speaker 4 (40:25):
Welcome in here first Sunday show of the football season
that is quickly approaching. Here Fox Sports Radios count Down
to Kickoff presented by BETMGM is back and Manfelas I
can't wait for ball to get here, but we can
still get in on the futures market. We're looking at
season win totals for NFL teams. I'm curious what you

(40:49):
guys have at the top of the list, because I
know you have many selections, and I'm curious what you
have circled at the top. Here Crag, We'll start with
you and listen on BETMGM site they have. You know,
basically you can bet on many different Give you an
example like the Tennessee Titans, for instance, right, you could

(41:09):
go over or under four and a half wins, or
five and a half or six and a half or
seven and a half, and it just has varying degrees
of what the odds are. I try to hit the
number that's closest to even money. On both sides, even
though that might not exist. Right, you're looking at the
actual season win total, but you could go higher or

(41:32):
lower depending on how you feel about it. But crack,
I'm curious one of the things that are at the
top of your list season win total wise, what are
you honing in on.

Speaker 5 (41:41):
That you like?

Speaker 3 (41:42):
It's funnier. This is just spontaneous that you're actually saying this.
And so last night, what I didn't say on that
text to you guys was one of my guys out
here in Vegas, where I really respect, and I already
had the Vegas Raiders under seven minus twenty, but he
said to me, there's a great alternate line under seven

(42:03):
and a half minus sixty. And he just thinks that
that's a really it's actually a better bet under sixty
forty cents more to land on seven, which is very
very much a reality could happen. So I go to MGM, which,
by the way, I have the site right here in
front of me. I go to MGM, and I'm looking
at futures. There's nobody out there, nobody. I don't care

(42:24):
about the other big sites. No one has more futures
than bet MGM, like they'll go literally I hit so
I go down the future list and I'm scrolling. I'm
scrolling like this is impossible, and like you know, they
have all different things like Raiders to make the playoffs
of course season wins, the alternate season wins, and yes,
so Brian's right there, and I will tell you I

(42:46):
am on the Raiders under that's a pretty big one.
And you know, you don't go by these preseason games,
but you just go by the buzz and you know, listen, yesterday,
the Raiders were a big favorite in that game. They
were like a touchdown favorite, and you know, they lost
the first half, and again they were favorite second half
by three and a half. And that's when I faded

(43:08):
them this town going out yesterday. I was in like
four or five different casinos yesterday running around and there
was Dallas Cowboy jerseys everywhere. Now granted, of course we
know that's America's team, people would wear that anyway, but
they were all here. They've based their vacations around this
preseason game so that they all came here. And that's

(43:30):
the way it is during the regular season here. For
anyone doesn't know in Las Vegas, when the Chiefs play
here at Steelers play here, you'll have fifty five percent
maybe more, maybe more with like the Chiefs fans in
the stands there. But the Raiders is still a fade.
And last night, to my surprise, I searched every site

(43:51):
and sure enough they went. I actually took under six
and a half plus money on this. I also took
under seven minus twenty. Well, don't you know, the Raiders
are up to seven again almost everywhere. So under seven
on the Raiders is probably my strongest one on the
board there. But I also went under on like the Steelers,

(44:12):
they're just another team. We talked about, you know, two quarterbacks,
both different crossroads. Russell will Is Wilson's career over his
field's Legit too many questions for Pittsburgh to win nine
games in my opinion. So there's the two I'm against.
I went.

Speaker 5 (44:29):
Under Giants six and a half. You know, Crag you're
coming at the Raiders. Fits with the Giants because it
comes down to quarterback play, right, the ring of the
worst quarterback situation in a division. Bonnicks probably start for Denver.
He's better than aid O'Connell and Gardner Minshew. I know
Daniel Jones was coming off injury yesterday, but what we
saw from him was so bad that I almost put

(44:53):
more money on the Giants under six and a half wins.
Here's the thing about it, Guys, look at the roster
okay and point to me the proven playmakers right now
on that team. Andrew Thomas at left tackle done. Maybe
Elak neighbors haven't seen him. He looked, He's looked really good.
I think he's one of them. So that's two on offense.

(45:14):
Who else on offense? Who else are we going like?
That's a proven guy I gotta worry about defensively, Brian
Burns yes, Lawrence, yes, Kevon Thibodeau half, Yes, that's about it.

Speaker 1 (45:26):
That's for the former Duck Hunt.

Speaker 3 (45:28):
That's it.

Speaker 5 (45:29):
Four and a half players I have to worry about
if I'm playing the Giants. Okay, that's it. Four and
a half players. The Eagles in the division have more
on offense than four and a half players. The Cowboys
and division have what Dak the cedee Lamb obviously will
come back. The players in the offensive line, they have
two All pros in the offensive line. Look at the defense,

(45:51):
Parsons and Lawrence, and guys in the back end and
secondary the Giants have four and a half players right now,
who you're like, yeah, those are game wreckers. The Giants.
Everyone's all they won x me. Don't look at last year, guys,
I'm telling you making this. But Steelers fans are all
about this, right They're like, well, we won. We were
five and won the division last season. One of those
games was against the Ravens when they sat starters in

(46:11):
Week eighteen, okay, and two were against Jake Browning led Bengals.
And when you beat the Ravens in that weird like
ten to seven game where the Ravens just played terribly
ter in the season, Brian, the Giants are not gonna
win games this season. They're gonna be bad. And the
other wager I made, and we talked about this on
text thread yesterday the day before that, was I took
New England fewest wins in the NFL. I didn't even

(46:33):
take their win total under it took fewest wins at
plus three twenty. They're just like it. I mean, it's fine.
They're just they're in a rebuilding phase right now, and
it just is what it is. There's not a talented
football team right now.

Speaker 3 (46:49):
Man.

Speaker 1 (46:49):
That's the thing.

Speaker 4 (46:50):
If you play the who are there proven guys game
with the Patriots.

Speaker 1 (46:55):
Roster, it's even worse.

Speaker 4 (46:57):
His slim pickens matter. They just traded away, Matthew. There
are not a whole lot of impact players on that roster.
You know what you're saying about the Giants and you
kind of bled into the Eagles and the Cowboys. That's
my strongest feeling is and this sounds like a square play,
but it's not. It's the Cowboys over nine and a
half wins. The under is actually the most popular bet

(47:22):
at BETMGM. Everybody is racing to the under nine and
a half and I'll gladly take the over. Where I
look at this and I say, like you just said,
Jeff Ceedee Lamb is gonna be back. I know this
is a weird, like unnecessary dramas, feels like a soap
opera that's playing out, but he's gonna get his money.
I don't know why the Cowboys are taking the scenic

(47:42):
route that they're taking, but this is just what the
Cowboys do at times. He's gonna be back there. They
just have with Dak Ceedee Lamb, Zach Martin and then
defensively to get Trayvon Diggs back to go along with
Micah Parsons.

Speaker 1 (47:57):
That's a team.

Speaker 3 (47:57):
I get it.

Speaker 4 (47:58):
They fizzle in the playoffs. They got worked by the
Packers and people look at them and they're like, ah,
here we go again. With the Cowboys, they're a different
team in the regular season. They've won twelve games in
each of the last three seasons. So to get to
double digit wins with the Giants still in the division,
with the Commanders, with what are we gonna get from

(48:19):
Jaden Daniels in his rookie season. I just think there
are ten wins on the Cowboys' schedule. They have to
lose eight games for this not to hit, and I
just don't see them losing that many games this season.

Speaker 3 (48:32):
Brian.

Speaker 5 (48:33):
I was hoping, Oh, we'll get into props in a
little bit. Actually, I forgot about the prop that you
that you proposed on our show on last weekend. The
Cowboys are gonna win a lot of games. The thing
about it is, the problem is they just don't perform
in the playoffs. Like that's the issue, right, It's the
thing that we're always upset about with the Cowboys, Like
you show it to us in the you know, in
the in the basically, in the regular season, give it

(48:54):
to us. In the postseason. They're one of the teams
that is only judged on postseason's successes, right, and they're
going to win a lot of games. It's just I
would bait wager zero dollars on them in the postseason.

Speaker 3 (49:07):
Right.

Speaker 4 (49:07):
To me, it's like the Cowboys are like a jeep. Okay,
be like a jeep without doors. And if you're like, yeah,
don't take it out in the rain, man, it sucks
in the rain.

Speaker 1 (49:17):
Don't get that?

Speaker 4 (49:18):
Would be like the playoffs, okay for the Cowboys, right,
And we're acting like it's raining in the regular season
and it's not. It's a bright, sunshine filled day. They're
fine in the regular season. It's the playoffs that's the problem.
I think there's a lot of value for the Cowboys
on the over in the regular season.

Speaker 5 (49:36):
I know that's Agreat Cracks probably not an over guy
in general. I don't see him wagering many overs in
the Do.

Speaker 3 (49:42):
You have any overs, Crack, I'm on the no, I'm
on all unders. I think, yeah, I'm on all unders
and uh yeah, jesh right, And I'm sorry to say
I am against the Cowboys. I've made a bet, but
I've been a really good bet as a matter of fact.
So what number are you going against?

Speaker 1 (50:00):
Nine and a half?

Speaker 3 (50:01):
Yeah, I'm here. I bet the Cowboys, I know I was.
I think it was ten and a half out here
in Vegas when I caught them.

Speaker 1 (50:07):
That's the middle on that crowd.

Speaker 3 (50:08):
Yeah, and that don't think that's not a reality. That's
a reality now. Yeah, Dallas under ten and a half.
I bet forty five the win three that so I
bet minus one fifty pretty simple math couldn't figure it out. Yeah,
I bet under ten and a half season wins now
that can easily happen. That. Then again, I'm on the
Eagles though, I'm all over the Eagles and and and

(50:30):
you know, I hate to bet something, so I did
bet season wins, but I did bet them with the division.
I actually took them, the Eagles to win the NFC
at nine to one. I usually don't bet that type
of bet. I usually do. Don't hate betting a futures
pool where something's nine to one and something's eight to
one and four to one. I'm not into doing that.

(50:51):
But if you shop, because normally it's so much there's
double digit hold in those type of markets. But if
you shop and you have multiple outs, you're looking around.
If you know, the more out you have, the less
of a hole. That brings it down to single digits.
And I just think that the Eagles are and I've
done very well on the Eagles, betting them to win division,
betting them to win. I also bet them to like

(51:14):
I said, the NFC East, I bet them to win,
but I also bet them to win a couple other
things this year. I usually don't bet to win the
super Bowl. You know why. I always say the money line.
You can always moneyline parlay things to win the super
Bowl and the playoffs start, so normally I'll find a
better that being a better method. But you know what,
I shouldn't say, I don't bet over on everything because

(51:35):
I would bet over on the on the Eagles, probably so,
but I didn't. Though you're right, I can't pull the
trigger on over so I don't know. It's like it's
like Fonsie and happy Days. I can't. I can't get
sorry out of my mouth.

Speaker 5 (51:49):
It's because there's there's so many ways things can go
bad in a season, sure, so many ways. It's just
it feels like it's so much harder to think of
NFL team winning all the games.

Speaker 4 (52:02):
Well, I think that's probably Jeff where there's more value right,
because a lot of people just feel like, oh, it's
going over, and I think Krack can find more value
going the other way more times than not.

Speaker 3 (52:14):
Right. I think that's there's a built in there's a
built in small edge because all of these teams, the
sportsbooks know people like to bet overs. They love betting
over there, happy to bet over there. It's a fun
thing to do. It's not fun to go through the
sportsbooks and like root against teams to not score and
not don't don't do good for the season. It's a natural.

(52:37):
The human condition is made up of being successful on
yelling and screaming. Since we're little kids and so so
of course we want to bet that way. And that's
the way the books know you're betting. So therefore you're
paying a slight tax if you want to bet the
over on teams, unless you have that shopping ability.

Speaker 4 (52:55):
Like I said, by the way, I wanted to bring
one team up for you guys, the Huge Texans.

Speaker 1 (53:01):
Where there that is a public team this season.

Speaker 3 (53:05):
Giant very good Brian Right Giant team.

Speaker 4 (53:08):
They're at nine and a half, and I get it, man,
I love their roster. Yeah, I mean we see the
impact players, Jeff that you're bringing up.

Speaker 1 (53:15):
They got a lot of them.

Speaker 4 (53:16):
You bring in to Neil Hunter to go with Will
Anderson Junior defensively, you bring in Stefan Diggs. They have
impact players. But when it just seems like the betting
world or the NFL world is like Texans ten wins. Absolutely,
they did that last season. The NFL has a funny
way of saying, it's not that.

Speaker 3 (53:36):
Great point. Number one team out here for exposure wise,
is the risk departments are they can't get any money
on under Texans You're absolutely right, or them to win
the Super Bowl? Them to win, You're absolutely right. Great
point you brought up.

Speaker 5 (53:51):
I feel like them to win the Super Bowl. Guys,
you have to look at a team and think which
team is beating Kansas City in Kansas City in the
Anti Championship game like they've played again. The Chiefs have
played an answer tack game six years in a row.
They've hosted all but one of them, right, well, last Yars.
The first team they haven't hosted are the Texans. Ready

(54:12):
to go into Arrowhead, it's twenty seven degrees, it's nighttime
and beat Kansas City in Arrowhead. I don't think so.
Only a few teams I trust to do that.

Speaker 3 (54:25):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (54:26):
Well, Baltimore offensive line is a big question. We should
talk about them at some point as we previewed the season. Cincinnati,
I trust they've done it. The Bengals have done it.

Speaker 4 (54:35):
You know.

Speaker 5 (54:35):
I think the Browns of Deshaun Watson is a little
bit better this year. They have a really good roster man.
They got a good football team. They're a team I
think I could see doing that. But you know, Buffalo,
they can't beat Kansas City, but I could certainly see them.
And I think if the Jets are good with Aaron Rodgers,
they're a team I could imagine going there and getting
it done. Houston's still young, like Stroud, going on the

(54:59):
road in Kansas City pass that's how you have to envision.
Can they get to a super Bowl through Kansas City?

Speaker 3 (55:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (55:10):
Yeah, that's a good point.

Speaker 4 (55:11):
It's I look at Houston in terms of their season
win total, and I look at there's a big difference
between playing a last play schedule, which they did last
season in a first place schedule this season, so it
affects three games. Last season they had Arizona, Denver and
the Jets, and this season they'll get the Cowboys, the Chiefs,

(55:32):
and the Ravens. Yeah, and that difference of three games
in quality of opponents, that could be the difference between
you hitting the season win total under or not, you
know what I mean. So I think that's a big deal.
And the game against the Ravens is on Christmas. The
game at Dallas is a Monday night game. You know,
that's a lot more difficult schedule than it was last season,

(55:56):
so it'd be interesting to see. We've got Jeff Schwartz,
eight year NFL veteran Bill Krackenberger from crackwins dot com.

BETMGM across all socials at bet MGM. All right, guys,
so you mentioned this in passing, But to dig a
little deeper, the Bills pulled a switcheroo yesterday. How about
this for the gambling community. If you thought Josh Allen
was gonna play, you had good reason to believe that.

(57:29):
Like the insiders are reporting that, hey, he's warming up,
he's in uniform, He's gonna be the starter and he
didn't get on the field. The Bills even announced he
was gonna play, and then he didn't play.

Speaker 1 (57:39):
I listen, I understand if.

Speaker 4 (57:41):
You're gonna play your cards close to the vest if
this is the regular season, but this is the preseason.
What's the point in saying, yeah, Josh Allen's gonna play
and then he doesn't play.

Speaker 1 (57:51):
I don't get that at all.

Speaker 5 (57:52):
So what's crazy about this is when I had John
Fox as my coach and with the Panthers, the way
you approached the last preseason game was he would like
announce the starters were playing if we were at home
in the fourth game, and maybe they'd come out for
a series, but just to tell the fans like come
to the game basically, right, like the starters are playing,
you come come see your favorite players play. And on
the road games, you'd just be like, no, we're not

(58:13):
playing our starters. They were on the road. They didn't
have a reason to lie. It wasn't like Bills fans
were coming out to the game because Josh Allen was there.
Maybe they were, but like they weren't seeing any money
from that, right, Like I understand, if you have a
home game, say hey, guys, Josh Allen's going to play?
Is that a little slimy to do if you know
he's not gonna play? Yeah, not great, But nonetheless I

(58:35):
sort of get the marketing of that, right, But this case,
you're on the road, Like, what's the purpose of saying
Josh Allen's gonna play? So the Steelers get worried about
preparing for him, and then you get dry bisky. I
don't get the purpose of misleading everyone for for what
was the reason why you did it? Like, why are
we misleading everyone?

Speaker 3 (58:54):
Yeah, you say, is it slimy? Yeah? I bet sports
for a living, you know, Like, of course it's slimy
to me. You know, betting the preseason really is about
one thing. It's information. Who's starting, so, how long they're playing,
how long on the second string playing, et cetera, et cetera.
I don't like giving out the wrong information, of course,
but it's going to happen. Sometimes some information will be

(59:16):
no good. You just have to hope most of it's
right and your money's in the right place. And I'll
just tell you this particular one because I said, you know,
when the Beat reporter put it out, I said, you know,
the first quarter is a good bet here. I don't
think certain sportsbooks bet I mean they even have first quarter,
but some of them do with some of the new
ones of the country. So I said, you know what,

(59:37):
this might be a good bet here. And let me
just tell you something. I actually bet a couple grand
on it, and I was sick when he was on
the sidelines and didn't play. It was like, oh, not
even about the money. Just like Jesus, that information's wrong.
It's everywhere, Like I just hated that and luckily, like
you said, it was zero zero got to win there.
But aside from the betting part of it, which is

(59:59):
every to me, I guess I have no problem with
teams not playing their starting quarterback or changing their mind
before the game starts, but just plot on the line here.

Speaker 1 (01:00:07):
Coaches used to let you guys know, yeah, I don't.

Speaker 4 (01:00:10):
Yeah, I don't understand why you would announce you're playing
him and didn't play him.

Speaker 1 (01:00:15):
Real fast, Where do you guys come out?

Speaker 4 (01:00:17):
Because something that you said crack just made me think
of JJ McCarthy, the Vikings rookie quarterback. He's down for
the entire season. There are some people that are like, hey,
it's too risky. Don't don't have these guys go out there.
Look at JJ McCarthy. What good did it do them
to get him on the field. Now he's down for
the entire season. I'm curious where you guys stand on that,
because Jeff, you and I we've been doing shows leading

(01:00:39):
up to countdown to kickoff being back here, and we're
of the belief of you gotta get your young guys
out there. You got to get him some reps. You
got to get him ready for the season. You can't
just put him in bubble wrap and say, all right,
like hit the ground running come week one or whenever.
JJ McCarthy would have taken over as the starter. It's
totally unfortunate he's done for the year. But I don't

(01:01:00):
have a problem with Kevin O'Connell getting him out there
against the Raider's just incredibly unfortunate went wrong.

Speaker 5 (01:01:06):
So the Panthers did not play brace on again, least again.
I don't I don't understand it, don't get it. Don't
get it either. It doesn't make sense to me. Like
I I kind of it's funny. You watch the Chiefs yesterday,
multiple time Super Bowl champions, there were they got those
stars there. My homes played two drives, and then the

(01:01:28):
starter stayed in with Carson Wentz for a little bit,
which anybody always does. And then the Lions, the other hand,
didn't play anybody. I don't know what the right thing is.
I would lean toward playing my guys, though. I think
that's the way. If I was a coach, That's what
I would do, at least a little bit. I'm not
saying they play the whole game, but I would. I would.
I would haven't played enough.

Speaker 3 (01:01:49):
Yeah, you know, it's funny, get you know old No,
it's it's actually I'm not funny at all. Just to
saying the Buffalo game was if Valdas Scantling that was
down yesterday? Okay, was everyone like huddled around that that
was the guy? Right, I'm not let me tell you
something that was scary because this is the team that
this This was a scary thing to me and everyone

(01:02:10):
watching that game. How to say that? Oh my god?
They they had to they had like the stretcher ready
for him, and he walked off the field. Right, guys
thought he did walk off. Okay, they were just being
very precautious, I guess. But the team was around them
with the helmets off, getting ready to like pray again.

(01:02:30):
I was like, oh my god, this is unbelievable. Like
that has to bring back memories and almost make you
say why are we doing this during the regular season.
But they have to get their reps in. They have
to get those in. Like just like you said, these quarterbacks,
like next week, Alan's gonna play, right, Jeff Bryant, He's
gonna play a little bit, right, He's gonna play a

(01:02:51):
little bit before the third game.

Speaker 5 (01:02:53):
The third game, they.

Speaker 3 (01:02:55):
Don't play right. I mean, like you aren't you gonna
give him one series just to have something to play
in preseason like you would think they would. But no,
I know that that last game they don't. But you
know me, guys, I wish we had seventeen weeks of
preseason and like a month of regular season.

Speaker 4 (01:03:12):
That's what I wish we had a betting purposes betting absolutely, Yeah,
it's listen, man, I think it's case by case. I
think with Josh Allen, he's one of the better quarterbacks,
but he's got a bunch of young receivers. You know,
Keon Coleman is a young rookie, no more Stefan Diggs.
I would think a series or two makes a lot

(01:03:32):
of sense. Like Jeff says, the ultimate default is Mahomes
is out there. You know, for anyone who says, oh,
that's right, very good, do any good, there's too much
risk for injury. Mahomes is out there. He's going back
to back rings, you know, like that should tell you something.
Someone who's won back to back rings in sports broadcasting.
That would be Isaac Low and Tron and counting. We're
expecting to three beat this season. He's got the latest.

Speaker 7 (01:03:55):
What's going on?

Speaker 8 (01:03:56):
I low proud moment at the National Sports Broadcast Awards.
I waited until nobody was looking, walked over to the
table where they kept the rings, picked up two of them,
slipped them into my pocket, walked away.

Speaker 7 (01:04:11):
Proud proud moment for me.

Speaker 8 (01:04:13):
Fellas we started the NFL, where multiple outlets reported this
morning that the Minnesota Vikings are starting five time Pro
Bowl quarterbacks to Fon Gilmour to a one year, ten
million dollar deal. Now, among the social media comments regarding
this move, someone named Brad Spielberger posting an I quote

(01:04:33):
Vikings at a guy Sam Darnold has familiarity throwing the
football too unquote man, you talk about going out of
your way anyway on the field. On Saturday Night, Cowboys
over the Raiders in Vegas, twenty seven to twelve. Dallas's
Brandon Aubrey kicked a sixty six yard field goal at
the halftime gun that would have tied the NFL record

(01:04:56):
had it been a.

Speaker 7 (01:04:56):
Regular season game.

Speaker 8 (01:04:58):
Afterwards, Raiders head coach at Tonio Pierce that will decide
the starting quarterback job between Aid and O'Connell and Gardner
Minshew within the next couple of days. And Major League
Baseball Saturday Night Braves over the Angels in Anaheim eleven
to three, Atlanta's Chris Sale k ten in six innings
to improve to fourteen and three. Brewers over Cleveland two
to one. Milwaukee on a four game winning streak leaves

(01:05:20):
the National League Central by ten. Cardinals hit three home
runs and a five to two win over the Dodgers
to break a five game losing streak.

Speaker 7 (01:05:28):
Fellas, let's go back. Oh hold on a second, guys,
I got a text. Oh it's from our friend and
colleague Rich Hornberger.

Speaker 3 (01:05:36):
Love.

Speaker 8 (01:05:37):
Rich says, Isaac, aren't you forgetting a baseball game last night?

Speaker 7 (01:05:43):
And then there's a fist emoji.

Speaker 8 (01:05:46):
Guys of San Diego padres one at Colorado last night
eight to three. San Diego had fifteen hits. Dylan Cease
got his twelfth victory of the season and thanks to
Rich Ornberger, I will cease being in danger back to.

Speaker 1 (01:06:00):
You andres read hot man. What are they twenty and
five since the All Star Break?

Speaker 3 (01:06:05):
It's insane what.

Speaker 1 (01:06:06):
They've been doing.

Speaker 4 (01:06:06):
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff, presented by

how ugly the quarterback play was for the Raiders last
night and it was on the same day as Mahomes

(01:06:51):
doing the behind the back razzle dazzle throw to Travis Kelsey,
I just think of those two teams in that same
division and the Raiders this was they have no quarterback.
This was Antonio Pierce early in the off season about
their quarterback issues.

Speaker 1 (01:07:06):
He said this, you don't want to put a band
aid at that position.

Speaker 4 (01:07:09):
You're like, you don't want to put a band aid
at that position. That's exactly what they have. They have
two band aids right now in Gardner Minshew and Aidan O'Connell,
where he's like, I'm just gonna sleep on this. Okay,
I don't know who to pick for the starting QB.
Gardner Minshew was not solid last night. Aid and O'Connell
came in against the Cowboys and let a touchdown drive

(01:07:30):
and you're like, okay, they're moving the ball.

Speaker 1 (01:07:31):
Next thing, you know, pick six and you're like, who
are they gonna start?

Speaker 5 (01:07:34):
It doesn't matter, doesn't matter.

Speaker 1 (01:07:36):
Yeah, in the same division as Mahomes. That's so much worse.

Speaker 5 (01:07:39):
Man doesn't matter at all. It's not It's just not.
It doesn't matter. This is why the Raiders are in
a bad position. It's funny because the Falcons drafted Michael
Pench the Raiders could have drafted, and they're not even
playing them. The preseason anymore. That's one of the other Brian.
The Falcons did not play pants yesterday, so we've seen
enough from him in the preseason. This guy's not supposed
to be this season. And you're just like, yeah, we're good,

(01:08:02):
We're good. Let's read shot them now. No. Look, the
Raiders are going to be in the perfect spot to
draft the first quarterback next year because New England won't
need one, right, they'll be the number one pick. And
the problem is this quarterback class as of now doesn't
look great.

Speaker 3 (01:08:16):
Right.

Speaker 5 (01:08:16):
Well, we'll see if the season goes on, but the
Raiders just don't have a quarterback. And that's as simple
as that. And again we do the playmaker thing. It's like,
who are the playmakers?

Speaker 3 (01:08:23):
Right?

Speaker 5 (01:08:23):
I mean, they're just a couple of pass rushers who's
throwing him the ball? Like the Raiders are a team
we talked about earlier, Like I think they're just firmly
under this year. Raiders giants like they're gonna be the
worst in the in you know, one of the worst,
if not the worst, uh in their conferences. They're just
not as talented as the opponents they play.

Speaker 3 (01:08:42):
You know, Jeff, you talked about New England being in
the worst that's the bet you made. That the wording
of it, New England to have the worst record in
the NFL.

Speaker 5 (01:08:50):
Okay, no, no, sorry, New England. It's New England's fewest wins.

Speaker 3 (01:08:55):
A few of those wins. You know, this is something
that I should know what happens if that's a I
with somebody else. So you still get that to read
the house, because you know, if two teams are you know,
three wins, like I mean, I would, I would hope
you'd still get credit for that. But guys, I'm on
the bet MGM ACT and the New England Patriots under

(01:09:16):
three and a half wins. I like betting these alternate
matter of fact, I bet six or seven alternate wins
season win totals taking juice, So the under three and
a half I actually bet plus three to one the
other day on the Patriots. But even under four and
a half taken one twenty uh that when when you
have this might be the only place, matter of fact,

(01:09:37):
this might be the only sports book in the world
that puts up every single number, including a half under
a half and they go up to sixteen and a half.
But yeah, New England, there I was thinking about that,
but then going back to the Raiders and what you
guys are saying the alternates. I told you guys last night,
but under seven and a half uh here in town
and still they I kind of kind of like that

(01:09:59):
bet too. If you can use that alternate on the
Raiders at bet MGM under seven and a half minus
one seventy five. By the way, you can go over
under on all these things. I like two way bets.
I hate playing when they offer just one way, then
you know it's a heavily juiced market. But boy, I'll
tell you, if I had any heart, I would go
to this Las Vegas Raiders season wins at bet MGM.

(01:10:21):
I would bet under nine and a half and lay
six to one. And I don't lay six to one
on anything. Yeah, I don't lay six to one on
And you think the Raiders are winning ten games?

Speaker 2 (01:10:31):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:10:31):
Wow, no wow?

Speaker 3 (01:10:33):
I just my god.

Speaker 4 (01:10:34):
That reminds me of you're going back to college football
last season, Crack. That reminds me of your Oregon bet
on the money line against Colorado where you're like, it's
still not priced where it should be and there's still
is value.

Speaker 3 (01:10:48):
Yeah, they're very good I treated that out very good,
and and that was even though you're laying was it
seven to one? I think it was seven.

Speaker 1 (01:10:56):
I think it was right.

Speaker 3 (01:10:57):
I think I laid seven to one for a giant
amount of money. I couldn't get enough. I was driving
all around town. I was putting the tickets, lining them
up on my car seat next to me, taking photos,
sending them out to the guys and saying, listen, the
sportsbooks are not pricing this right, well, they're pricing it
based on their risk. You know, everyone everyone was all

(01:11:18):
over Okay, so it was it the Oregon game. It
was Oregon right orgon Colorado. So everyone was all over
Colorado that game and Oregon. You know, even though it's
a public team, it's a big team, it's Jeff's team.
It was just not right. It should have been more
of eleven to one. That it was like a twenty
one point favorite. So you could just go by your screen.

(01:11:39):
You don't have to know anyone. You don't have to
know a coach, a team, no one's name. The all
you know is that a twenty one point favorite is
eleven to one minus eleven to one. The game that
was lined underneath it was a twenty one point favorite,
just like Oregon. Yet Oregon was only seven to one.
That's how much exposure they had on this Colorado team.
Everyone was betting College Lado National Championship Colorado. You know,

(01:12:02):
they looked good coming out of the coming out of
the gate there, and everyone loved them and love love
what's going on with their coaches and the and the
and the quarterback. Let me tell you that was the
easiest money out there was the bet against the public.
That's right, you're betting against the public laying that money.
Very good, good, good thing there, Brian, You're absolutely right.

Speaker 5 (01:12:20):
Can I can I give you I notice we do
a lot NFL here, but can I give you a Colorado.
I've made three waiters on Colorado this year so far,
and like so one was I took Colorado minus seven
week one into the Northtito to State. It's nine and
a half. Now, bet this morning, I think they're going
to kick the Bison's butt.

Speaker 3 (01:12:38):
That's the.

Speaker 1 (01:12:40):
Lines right there.

Speaker 3 (01:12:42):
Look at that that week one, that's their opener.

Speaker 5 (01:12:45):
Yeah, they're they're favored by nine and a half. Now, Wow,
it's at home. North to Olia State is not what
they used to be and like, I okay, the second
line I took and I'm not sure this is I'm
curious if I get a good number on this or not.
But I took Week two the Brass minus six and
a halfkins Colorado because I think Colorado is going to
beat North Kota State. The public's gonna hammer Colorado. The

(01:13:06):
Sharps will take Nebraska. Nebraska is really good if we
allo can play, and that game is gonna be that
game will close over a touchdown. I had a touchdown
last one I took.

Speaker 3 (01:13:16):
I took.

Speaker 5 (01:13:17):
I think it's near the end of the season, about
Thanksgiving weekend Utah minus eight against Colorado already, that game
will be two touchdowns before kickoff.

Speaker 3 (01:13:26):
Wow, I love these apps that do that. You could
bet at your What week is that?

Speaker 5 (01:13:31):
By the way, that week like December twelve, Week twelve,
I think we've ever one before. Things a week right
before Thanksgiving?

Speaker 4 (01:13:38):
Oh my god, yeah wow wow Coract, he sounds like
a proud father right now.

Speaker 3 (01:13:43):
Oh's unbelievable to tie up money all that time you.

Speaker 5 (01:13:47):
Got it really bothers me how much money I have
tied up though before the season starts. I am looking
at it right now. It ain't fun, but it is.

Speaker 1 (01:13:55):
You can pay the long run, man, That's all it's about.

Speaker 4 (01:13:57):
Right there, we got Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran
Bill Krakeenberger, sports handicapper from crackwins dot Com. I'm probably
in noough coming up next. Prop it up, Okay, I've
got a season prop bet. I've let Jeff know about this, crack.
I'm gonna throw it your way. I'm gonna try to
win you over all, right, good deal? Yeah with this guy,

(01:14:21):
and you might you might give me augh Are you
serious right now? But I'll do my best to win
your win you over. That's coming your way right around
the corner. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff

all five of your team's cover and you're eligible to
win bet MGM's weekly jackpot all right, let's dive into.

Speaker 3 (01:15:08):
This prop it up player plays.

Speaker 4 (01:15:14):
All right, we're looking at the season prop bet market here,
and Jeff knows where I'm going on this, Crack.

Speaker 1 (01:15:22):
Here's what I want to do, all right. I want
to try to win you over.

Speaker 5 (01:15:25):
But I know you.

Speaker 4 (01:15:26):
You are an ally of honesty. You will tell me
how you honestly feel about this. I have already entered
this wager, okay, So if you say don't do it,
it's too late.

Speaker 1 (01:15:35):
Too late, there's no turning back, Crack. I have Daniel Jones,
who looked like smoldering garbage yesterday against the Texans. I
have Daniel Jones for the season over two thousand, six
hundred seventy five and a half passing yards. And here's
my reasoning, Crack.

Speaker 4 (01:15:55):
I'm not telling you who he's good. He's not that bad,
all right, He's got the league neighbors. As a rookie
wide out. I don't think that he's gonna suffer another
season ending surgery. I know he's coming off the ACL surgery.
I don't think lightning strikes again. And as a rookie,
he threw for over three thousand yards in twelve starts.

(01:16:15):
Like we got to get to basically twenty seven hundred
yards passing in today's NFL as a rookie. He's over
three thousand yards with guys like Darius Slayton, Golden Pate,
Sterling Shepherd. I've got Dandy Dimes getting too about twenty
seven hundred yards at a bare minimum.

Speaker 1 (01:16:31):
Crack. He's not good. He's just not that bad. What
do you think about?

Speaker 3 (01:16:34):
It sounds like so little. I'm just looking at my
my h I have a lot of these pending throughout
the season. I go back East and bet they'll bet
a lot of these in the sportsbooks. And of course
I have Launders so because it's a natural built in thing,
you know, if he misses one or two games. But
I'm looking at my yards, like I have hurts under

(01:16:55):
thirty six hundred yards And did you said twenty seven?
Is that what he got? Twenty seven hundred? So you
look at almost one thousand yards less. That's like, you know,
sixty yards a game less. That's unbelievable to think about that,
But of course you know it's hurts first, Andy Dimes.
I'm not. I'm anti giants almost every single year or two.

(01:17:19):
So but yeah, listen, you know what I say. I'll
start the season out right here on FID No, no, oh, no,
here it is. I'm rooting for you. I knew it.

Speaker 1 (01:17:30):
I knew it right.

Speaker 3 (01:17:31):
I don't have against them, so I definitely will root
for you. But yeah, I just gave you guys out one.
I like hurts under season wins. But you know what
I'm gonna consider I'm at the mgm app. I'm gonna
look up here and consider this a prop too. I
actually like still like the Eagles to win the NFC.
It's minus a dollar twenty. I took a dollar twenty

(01:17:53):
and I took some even too, so I just think
that the Cowboys it's only a two way race here.
I know a lot of people got upset me on
Twitter when I said that they were like Commanders Giants,
so that there's a lot of fans there and I understand,
and I know the Commanders. I definitely have a good
fan support there and are hopeful this season. But I'm
gonna stick with my my Eagle share.

Speaker 5 (01:18:14):
Jeff, all Right, as you mentioned Crack that the Ben
mgm mapp has a bazillion wagers. I don't know if
they have player props up quite yet. So I'm trying
to find a wager on the app that you can
wager own right now. So the prop I'm gonna go
with is Aaron Rodgers to win Comeback Player of the

(01:18:36):
Year plus one seventy five. Wow, the wager now has
to be someone who got hurt. And Joe Burrow went
in two out of three years or two out of
four years. I don't think. I think Aaron Rodgers just
has to stay healthy. He win this award. Jets will
be in playoff contention. I don't see anyone else winning it.
The narrative matters in this award. So Aaron Rodgers plus

(01:18:56):
one seventy five as a propier, I do.

Speaker 1 (01:19:00):
I love that, bet.

Speaker 4 (01:19:01):
I think that makes a ton of sense. All right,
plenty more to get to. We'll look at college ball
coming up. Some season win totals, odds to make the
college football playoff.

Speaker 1 (01:19:10):
That's on the way.

Speaker 4 (01:19:13):
Oh, we are back, baby, first Sunday NFL version of
countdown to kickoff Right Well, NFL in college but the
first one of the twenty twenty fourth season. We are
back in year round thanks to bet MGM could not
be happier.

Speaker 3 (01:19:30):
Guys.

Speaker 4 (01:19:30):
We want to look at college football here, we've looked
at the NFL very closely, but little time carved out
for college ball season win total market.

Speaker 1 (01:19:41):
I know you guys are both all over this, Jeff.
We've been talking about.

Speaker 4 (01:19:45):
Like Rutgers and air Force, random teams. Right, what are
a couple of the bets that you like the most
and we'll get right to you. Crack on yours and
I know, oh sheet of it?

Speaker 5 (01:19:55):
Yeah, where to begin? Where to begin? Folks have of
so many college football wagers. All right, Ucla is gonna
be bad this season. I've taken Ucla under five and
a half and under four and a half. I've taken
both of them because why not. I just think they're
not gonna win all games this year. They're in a

(01:20:17):
transition between Chip Kelly and Sean Foster. The thing about
college football that I think is so important is schedule.
That you have to look at the schedule of the
of the teams that you are going to wager on,
because that determines a lot of the winning and losing.
It's not that it's not so simple as like, you know,

(01:20:37):
the NFL points spreads are three points, you know, like
they're pretty close out of most teams the college football No,
Ucla has LSU, Oregon, Penn State, they're at Rutgers, at
Nebraska have Iowa USC and there's no guarantee by the way,

(01:20:58):
they're gonna win in Hawaii in Week one. Anyways, to me,
you say under, I love it. I don't. I forget
if I took under their their win total for the
conference play, I did not. Can I just keep going?
I'm like, what's my limit here? Okay? I have Iowa
over eight wins minus one thirty five that is at

(01:21:18):
bet MGM. I have Rutgers, Oh, Rutgers over six and
a half wins. I have them over six and a
half wins and over six wins. I have both. I
hit both. The more I research sometimes crack. I just
decided another another nibble at the apple Rutgers schedule. Guys,
they went six and six last year in the regular season,
so you know, okay year, but a lot of their

(01:21:40):
their best players came back this season, and a lot
of their best players are not. They're not back just
to be back. They're back because they they're They're like
pro guys that just sort of all decided to come
back for one more season. They miss most of the
tough parts of the conference. No Oregon, no Ohio State,

(01:22:04):
no Michigan, no Penn State. Pretty good, right, so, and
they won six games last season non conference Howard Akron
Virginia Tech. So a very manageable schedule to get us
to seven wins. The other one I like in the
Big Ten, and I did nibble on them to make
the playoffs at seven plus seven ninety, but took Iowa

(01:22:27):
over eight wins. They won ten games last season. I
think we sort of are forgetting this and the top
five teams right now according to oddsmakers to win the
Big Ten conference right in no particular order, but Higo State, Oregon, Michigan, Iowa,
and Penn State. Iowa plays obviously they don't play themselves,

(01:22:51):
but they play none of those teams. They play none
of them this season. So I like Iowa to just
have a good season. Put it like that. I think
I have that right. Let me make sure that actually
what they might play. Sorry they play Ohio State. Sorry
they play Ohio State. That was that was Rockers. Who
plays No One in the top five they played on

(01:23:11):
It's Iowa, But Iowa, no Oregon, no Michigan, no Penn state,
So give me Iowa over eight wins?

Speaker 3 (01:23:19):
Now, did you say you? I'm looking on the MGM
app over eight and a half plus one fifty, you know,
just to answer people at home, Uh, this is a
really good question. So, Jeff, did you go over eight
minus one ten?

Speaker 5 (01:23:30):
I took. I took over eight minus one thirty five?

Speaker 3 (01:23:33):
Okay, So I just wanted to know what one thirty
five one to fifty So even that even more so
with the MGM app fifty it's eighty five cents. You're
probably not you, Jeff, but the people at home right
now probably better off going over the eight and a
half wins plus to one fifty. I don't know if

(01:23:54):
a half a win's worth eighty five cents R. You know,
a half of a win. So, uh, there's a number,
and I it's not that high.

Speaker 5 (01:24:00):
So I don't think I took it when I had
the option for the yeah to take a sure.

Speaker 3 (01:24:06):
Now I'm just looking. As a matter of fact, I
haven't really dug deep into this market. And one of
the guys I do respect though, just sent me an
over which I'm not really an over person. You guys
know that. But on MGM Ohio State over ten and
a half minus one seventy five. I'm going to look
into that a little bit because he's listening to us now.
He's like, Hey, you know, this is a this is

(01:24:27):
something I think I like a little bit.

Speaker 2 (01:24:29):
So.

Speaker 3 (01:24:30):
But anyway, here's something to think about when looking at
this year's college football wins totals, losses aren't as important
as they have been in the past. The playoff is
twelve teams, so there could be teams with I don't
want to say three losses, but yeah, three or even
before that make it into the playoffs. Am I saying
it right? So there could be teams that have literally

(01:24:52):
clinched the spot going into the last week and not
care if they win the last game or not. Like
I said, I haven't really dug into the odds to
make the playoffs shit in college, but I I plan
on looking at to this more this week. It's just
an interesting scenario.

Speaker 5 (01:25:03):
You're unlikely to get a three set lost three unless
it's you're basically gonna end up, in my opinion, with
like one a SEC team, one big twelve team, one
G five team, maybe a second a SEC team pops
in there, and then you're gonna have nine teams in
the Big ten at SEC. That's what Iowa, if they
finished ten and two, is gonna be a playoff team.
It's Wryk plus plus seven ninety. I think they're gonna

(01:25:25):
be ten and two or and they're they're in the playoff.

Speaker 1 (01:25:29):
You'd be happy, proud of me, crack.

Speaker 4 (01:25:32):
I got a couple of unders circle here right where
I look at Oklahoma and I look at USC and
right now at bet MGM, they're both at seven and
a half. Okay, so if you're on the under, we
got to look for five losses right to cash our bet.
And so if you look at let's just take USC,
listen to their losable games. We're trying to find five

(01:25:55):
losses here. They've got LSU at Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State,
Jeff's Rutgers Scarlet Knights over there right like that's not
a layup at Washington, Nebraska, Notre Dame. That sounds like
five losses to me somewhere in that that gauntlet right there.
And then if I look at Oklahoma, first year in

(01:26:16):
the in the SEC, and they've got a manageable non
conference schedule, but look at their SEC slate, do you
do you hear five losses in these eight games. Okay,
you've got Tennessee at Auburn, Texas, South Carolina at Ole,
Miss at Missouri, Alabama at LSU. I hear five losses

(01:26:41):
when I rattle that off out loud. So I am
on the under for both USC and Oklahoma.

Speaker 3 (01:26:47):
Good Man and their public teams too, So I have
no problem with that. That's not one of those I'm
rooting for you. That's why I may join you. So
that's no good.

Speaker 5 (01:26:56):
Don't think US is going seven to five again, you're
on the over jet. No, I'm not on USC at all.
I just told I think that that that's a They're
either more likely to win eight or nine games and
win seven. So I'm not touching USC. And that's just
my personal belief.

Speaker 3 (01:27:11):
If I didn't know you had all these college shoots.
It is the first time here.

Speaker 5 (01:27:16):
A college a cover collegeable full time. I haven't made nothing,
but I have one.

Speaker 3 (01:27:22):
Fine kickoff where you bet like a fifteen.

Speaker 5 (01:27:25):
So I have one, uh two, three, four, five, six, No,
sorry yeah, six, seven, eight, nine, and I'm still missing,
like I gotta I have more. I want to make.
I have nine right now. They're oh, I have a
couple overs, but a lot of Arizona State under four
and a half wins Arizona State under two and a half.

(01:27:46):
Big Twelve with Arizona States schedule, guys, this is again,
this is important for like, this is this is why,
this is why scheduled you have. It's to me the NFL.
I don't look at schedule as much unless you're going
from like a last place schedule to first place schedule. Quarterbacks.
I look at like other factors when it comes to win.
I think NFL is so much harder to handicap win
totals than cult football. Arizona State has the top they're

(01:28:09):
playing again. They're going through sort of a rebuild, right,
they're kind of like redoing things. I think they're gonna
be okay eventually. They play the top the top six
teams in the Big Twelve conference this season, Kansas, Utah,
Oklahoma State, UCF, Kansas State, Arizona They're at Texas Tech.
They're non conference schedule. They got Misissippi State coming to

(01:28:30):
Arizona State. That's not a gimme, right, They're at Texas
State again, like sort of not a gimme. The easy
games in their conference schedule again at Texas Tech at Cincinnati.
So like they don't even their easiest game, one easy
game at home BYU, Like that's it. So they're not
winning three conference games sorry with that conference schedule, they're

(01:28:51):
just not doing it. So I like that I haven't
taken Stanford yet. I'm fairly sert. I'm gonna take stand
for under four and a half. I should probably do
that right now. I'm gonna find Stanf under that half
right now.

Speaker 3 (01:29:01):
And you know, guys, for people listening at home, guys, girls,
people say to me sometimes on Twitter. I remember last
year that people were coming at me and it's like,
oh my god, you're degenerate. You're betting preseason, Like they
don't even realize, Like and one happen. I went ten
and one yesterday. I mean, bookmakers are hiding under the
beds Monday morning. But but you know, just to let

(01:29:23):
you know, you have to get a lot of volume down.
As Jess said, he has a lot of bets he
feels or mathematical edges and he gets them all in.
And you know what, so when people say, oh, you know,
if you better and a bookmaker's dream is to have
someone bet them ten twelve fifteen NFL bets on a
Sunday or even a Saturday. Well, it's the opposite for

(01:29:44):
a pro or even a semi pro. The more bets
I have, the more I could spread my volume down
over my ex advantage. So I have to get a
lot of money down. I have to get many plays
in there. And uh, it's the opposite of what you know.
A lot of Joe publics do you know. But however, though,

(01:30:05):
you know, we're a professional football show here, so we're
going to tell you how it is on both sides
of the counter out how people react. So when I
hear Jeff saying that I'm not, you know, I have
to know. I like to know that he's has lots
of bets spread out and he's not betting Giant one.
This is for the by the way, this is season
wins over the This is a bet you have a

(01:30:25):
route over the entire season. You know. I interviewed someone
on my podcasts. Guys, you probably don't notice about six
weeks six weeks ago, and he was in jail thirty
two years. Thirty two years in jail for selling marijuana
and Philadelphia in the eighties. I mean, this guy went
to jail for thirty two years. However, you know, it's
something he told me. He said that they have action

(01:30:47):
all the time. It's NFL, but they bet season wins
amongst each other for cigarettes and soup packs and stuff. Boy,
this show can go anywhere. But yeah, so yeah, so
they have season wins rooting, you know, one against themselves
and it's something that gives him something to do in jail,
and for us out of jail, we also have the
same roots. So there you go.

Speaker 5 (01:31:08):
I I just found I'm looking for Stanford win total.
It's it's under three and a half plus one under
under three and a half plus one forty instead of
under four and a half, which I'm gonna try to find.
I'm gonna see what that number is. But Ben mgm
mapp has has prop wagers for college football players under here,

(01:31:28):
and so I'm taking this right now. Evan Stewart is
a transfer portal wide receiver that came from A and
M to Oregon and he's really good. It's a former
five star to sort of you know, A and M
didn't provide him with you know, the quarterback necessary. Last year,

(01:31:48):
Oregon's top two wide receivers had eleven eighty two yards receiving.
That was Ted Johnson's back. This he's and Troy Franklin,
the fourth round pick, who Evan Stewart is a better
natural talent than him, had thirteen hundred and eighty three
yards receiving, So both guys over a thousand yards. They
have him down here, Evan Stewart over eight hundred and

(01:32:10):
fifty and a half. So he's if he's healthy, he's
getting over that number in the Oregon offense.

Speaker 1 (01:32:17):
I'd like to throw one your way to where Michigan.

Speaker 4 (01:32:21):
Okay, so right now at bet MGM, it's an even number,
it's nine, and so I ask myself, are they more
likely to win ten games or win eight games? And
I don't see them getting to ten wins at all
this season. If you look at their tough games Texas,
Oregon at Ohio State, I see three losses in their

(01:32:41):
future and then they're losable games USC, who Jeff is
very high on. I think Schwartz has them going twelve
and Oero is ever but USC is a losable game
for Michigan at Washington, who's gonna be down.

Speaker 1 (01:32:54):
But that's on the road. You know, college football playoff
rematch that whole thing.

Speaker 4 (01:32:58):
I think the realistic worst case scenario for Michigan if
you're on the under, is they're gonna win nine games.
I think that's the realistic worst case scenario where you
push so it's almost like a three roll that they
don't get over eight wins if you're on the If
you're on the under, right where I just think they're
gonna take a step back. They're not as talented. They

(01:33:20):
got the bullseye on their chest. They're tough games Texas,
Oregon at Ohio State, who is out for freaking blood
after Michigan has gotten them the last couple of years.
I just don't see double digit wins for Michigan at all.
I would happily take the under nine.

Speaker 3 (01:33:35):
On that one.

Speaker 5 (01:33:37):
I think they light land sort of like on nine.

Speaker 1 (01:33:41):
I'd be right smack dab on nine.

Speaker 3 (01:33:43):
Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 5 (01:33:44):
I think that they're not over over nine. I think
if anything, you're gonna push right or end up, you know,
with a win. I'm with you. I don't see that
being something that you have to be concerned that they're
going over with. It's a lot of change there. Their
coach might be suspended at some point for some reason
because of you know, the the color stallions thing. I'm

(01:34:05):
I'm with you.

Speaker 4 (01:34:05):
I agree nice, I like that beautiful. I feel better
about myself when you agree with So we're here, Jeff,
all right, we got Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran
Bill Krackenberger from crackwins dot com sports handicapper.

Speaker 1 (01:34:19):
I'm Brian know Hey.

Speaker 4 (01:34:20):

(01:35:48):
about getting back to the NFL. The Atlanta Falcons made
a couple of interesting transactions. They traded a third round
pick for Matthew Judon to beef up their pass rush,
which they had to do. It been awful the last
three years, dead last in the NFL in sack rate
and pressure rate. And they also signed All Pro safety

(01:36:08):
Justin Simmons, so a couple of interesting additions to that
Falcons group, and I looked at it. I texted Jeff
Krack I said, Hey, I liked my pick of Raheem
Morris to win Coach of the Year before these moves.

Speaker 1 (01:36:23):
I like it even more now. You know what he
hit me back with.

Speaker 4 (01:36:26):
He just replied, Eh, that was it. That's all I
got out of Jeff. He's like, I'm not betting anything
Falcon related. Look, it's a tough market when we're looking
at Coach of the Year. There's so much competition when
you look at all the odds and all that. But
I do think Raheem Morris has a fighting chance. The
Falcons have won seven games in five of the last

(01:36:47):
six seasons.

Speaker 1 (01:36:48):
They've been completely below average.

Speaker 4 (01:36:52):
You get Kirk Cousins there to beef up the offense,
and I think Raheem is gonna help that defense out.
If you get in the neighborhood of not wins, which
is doable in that division, he's gonna be in the race.
So I don't think that's the worst dart to throw
to try to handicap the Coach of the Year market.

Speaker 5 (01:37:12):
Go ahead, Jeff, I just I just don't do Falcons.

Speaker 3 (01:37:18):
Yeah, I have anti Falcons.

Speaker 5 (01:37:20):
No it's more than they're my, like, never wager on
team like they're the one team that, no matter what
I do, I've wagered incorrectly on them. We all have
a team like that, I would imagine. So it's not
like I don't dislike. I get where Brian's coming from
that they win the NFC South and they're the favorites
right now, and you know, if Cousins plays well, the

(01:37:44):
defense improves. I understand the concept behind it, but the
Falcons are my I don't wager on that team, no
matter what I mean, the amount of times I've lost
wagers on the Falcons against the Falcons, I just don't
don't do it. And I also don't love like the

(01:38:07):
process by which they basically got here, Like I don't
want to wager on a team that I think just
kind of royally messed up their draft, Like they could
have drafted Leatu latu and as a pass rusher, but
they were a quarterback they're not going to play. I

(01:38:28):
don't want to bet on a team with like bad
process either.

Speaker 3 (01:38:32):
I hear you, I get it, you know, guys, I
don't know if I sent this in the group. That's
why I was said, like Jeff Cokes. I was looking
on the group chat because I actually bet against them
this year. You know, I know a lot of people
are high on the Falcons. They made a lot of
moves this offseason though for their fan base too. Their
fan base is all ready for a playoff run. Here,
I actually bet against them. I have the no on
them to make the playoffs. I took two and a

(01:38:54):
quarter here in Vegas. Then I took two o five
and sent it out to everyone too, because I thought,
this is why too crazy And you know, should they
make the playoffs? Yes, I guess, but at plus two
h five that was just too good a value. I'm
looking now, there's like plus one eighties out there, plus
one seventy. I just think that I like to bet

(01:39:17):
against the public on things and believe it or not,
even though this wasn't a great team. Last year, the
public was high on the Falcons, and me and my
guys bet against them, and this year we're doing the
same thing. Let's see what happens here. I'm not recommending
a bet, by the way. Now at this number, I
think the two to one or more was the value.

(01:39:39):
But now that we're just this was one of the
subject matters we have for the day. Yeah, I'll be
rooting anti Falcons all season.

Speaker 4 (01:39:46):
I think the Coach of the Year market is priced
really interestingly where I'll give you a couple of names.

Speaker 1 (01:39:53):
It's just kind of how it works.

Speaker 4 (01:39:55):
Gerrod Mayo of the Patriots, we know they're going to
be terrible, and Antonio Pierce with the Raiders and they
should be awful as well. Both of those coaches to
win Coach of the Year, they're twenty five to one.
Andy Reid is fifty to one. Okay, like that, you're
never gonna win. So a lot of this market is

(01:40:15):
the biggest surprise or the biggest improvement, the coach that
makes you say, whoa, Wow, they really improved, give him
the award. That's where I think Raheem Morris has a
fighting chance. I know you guys are not on board
with this whatsoever, and I get it, but I just
look at the improvements, like they won seven games with

(01:40:35):
Desmond Ritter and Taylor Heineke, you know, like her cousins
is upright, They're gonna challenge to win ten games. And
if they get in that neighborhood, Raheem Morris is gonna
be in the mix for Coach of the Year, So
we'll see how it works out.

Speaker 1 (01:40:49):
I'm hashtag rides up. You guys are not, so it'll
be fun.

Speaker 4 (01:40:52):
It's kind of like our Carolina Panthers New Orleans Saints
bet the last couple of years here, Jase.

Speaker 5 (01:40:57):
We're not doing that this year. And after I saw
the Panthers preseason and sorry, I I have the hardest
thing that I deal with with comes NFL futures. Is
something you just mentioned is like last year, because I
think the NFL is so year to year absolutely that
what happened last year to me is almost unimportant to

(01:41:21):
what you know, what what happened, what's going to happen
this year.

Speaker 1 (01:41:23):
I think it's case by case man, Like I'm with.

Speaker 5 (01:41:26):
You, but I because I trust your your opinion on
on these things. We text enough to I know that
you you win wagers?

Speaker 1 (01:41:34):
Is that like I I just know how down you
are on Desmond Rider for good reason?

Speaker 5 (01:41:40):
Oh I was, Yeah, it's difference speaking about that thinking
about wagers we text about. I'm back on the Caitlin
Clark bandwagon today. Buddy, over point three bounds until till
untill it doesn't hit anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:41:52):
By the way you know who's going to be at
that game?

Speaker 3 (01:41:54):
You are?

Speaker 1 (01:41:55):
That's right?

Speaker 3 (01:41:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:41:56):
There, Wow, thirty five and a half is what I got.
Point three rounds.

Speaker 1 (01:42:00):
Assist gonna I'll tail that just to have something going,
you know, And I.

Speaker 5 (01:42:04):
Uh the fever. I never watched more in w A
in my life. Caitlin Clark is just fun to watch.
But I trust your gambling opinion on this on these things.
But last year was last year. You gotta look at
the team they have now, the schedule they have now.
Is there a little bit of concern for you, like

(01:42:25):
Pennick's not playing Yesterday's seen enough from him. Is there
a worry that he that Cousins is not getting ready
to play week one and Peneck's gonna start and then
they held him out so he doesn't get hurt.

Speaker 1 (01:42:37):
I don't think so.

Speaker 4 (01:42:38):
I think if Pennix Junior was going to be the
guy at the start of the season, I think he
probably would have gotten some action. I get what you're
saying is if he is the guy, then that's the
reason not to get him out there and risky injury.
But I haven't heard anything any indications that, And I
think we'd hear a lot more noise if Kirk was
not going to be out there week one and it's

(01:42:59):
been nothing, I fully expect him to be out there.

Speaker 1 (01:43:02):
Is that just kind of a passing thought or.

Speaker 5 (01:43:04):
Do you think, yeah, just a passing thought. I was
curious if that's if that was the ree anyone else Scott.

Speaker 4 (01:43:09):
Yeah, I think he'll be there. But hey man, time
will tell. I've I think we would hear a lot
more if he wasn't going to be. But I've got
a long shot bet for you in a different market
right around the corner. First, though, you talk about solid bets,
Isaac Lohan Kron. If you have Isaac Lohan Kron to
crush it, you can lay minus money. You know, it's

(01:43:31):
like cracks Oregon bet against Colorado, you lay minus seven hundred.

Speaker 1 (01:43:35):
That's just easy money every time.

Speaker 8 (01:43:37):
On name pronunciations alone. And that in fact leads me
into our top story about Minnesota Vikings new signee Steven
Oops I mean Stefan Gilmore. It was reported today by
multiple outlets of the Vikings signing the five time Pro
Bowl quarterbacks Stefan Gilmour to a one year, ten million

(01:43:58):
dollars deal on the on Saturday night in Vegas, the
Dallas Cowboys defeated the Raiders twenty seven to twelve. Crazy
moment just before halftime, as Dallas's Brandon Aubrey kicked a
sixty six yard field goal at the halftime gun that
would have tied justin Tucker's NFL record had it been

(01:44:20):
a regular season game. Then, after the game, Raiders head
coach Antonio Pierce said that he'll decide the Raiders starting
quarterback job between Aiden O'Connell and Gardner Minshew within the
next couple of days. We've got two more NFL preseason
games coming up this evening, both kicking off at eight
pm Eastern Time, with the Broncos hosting the Green Bay

(01:44:42):
Packers and the New Orleans Saints visiting the San Francisco
forty nine Ers. In One Major League baseball game is
underway at this hour, the Mets and Marlin scoreless in
the bottom of the second inning.

Speaker 7 (01:44:53):
Fellas all yours.

Speaker 4 (01:44:54):
Thank you, I LO it is Fox Sports Radios Countdown
to Kickoff, presented by Bett.

wherever you get your podcasts. It'll be right there for you.

Speaker 1 (01:45:19):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:45:19):
So I was looking at the offensive Rookie of the
Year market in the NFL. Yeah, I've got some crack
research for you guys. Okay, all right, So, over the
last fifteen years of this award, seven times a quarterback
has won it, four times a wide receiver has won it.
The other four times a running back has won it. Okay,

(01:45:40):
And so I look at this. Caleb Williams has the
shortest odds at plus one forty at bet MGM right now.
It's followed by Commander's quarterback Jayden Daniels. He's at five
to one. I've got a long shot like Dart to throw.

Speaker 1 (01:45:54):
Okay, thirty to one.

Speaker 4 (01:45:56):
What do you think about this Bill's receiver, key On Coleman.
We know Josh Allen is one of the best quarterbacks
in the NFL. It's a different receiving corps here. The
only receiver who's caught a pass from Josh Allen is
Khalil Shakir who's on the roster right now, So there's

(01:46:17):
no Stefan Diggs.

Speaker 1 (01:46:18):
What if Keon Coleman hits the ground running at.

Speaker 4 (01:46:21):
Thirty to one, Like, it's not easy as a quarterback
with Caleb Williams Jayden Daniels to pull a CJ.

Speaker 1 (01:46:28):
Stroud. It is just not easy to start off hot.

Speaker 4 (01:46:33):
And I look at a guy like Keon Coleman with
a great quarterback and not a lot of great receivers
around him. If he's the guy, he could put up
pretty significant numbers And ask yourself this. It was two
years ago Garrett Wilson, Jets receiver. He had eighty three
catches for eleven hundred three yards and four touchdowns. Could

(01:46:54):
Keon Coleman be in the neighborhood of eighty catches eleven
hundred yards? I say, yeah, I think he could be
in that neighborhood. So I think at thirty to one,
that's not the worst long shot option out there on
the board right now.

Speaker 3 (01:47:10):
I just.

Speaker 5 (01:47:11):
Don't know how how good he's gonna be early on Brian, Like,
that's the only concern of mine. I just think that
there's a little worrio it's gonna take him a little
bit of time to get up to speed in that offense,
at least the reports out of training camp. And we
haven't even seen him and Josh Allen play with each
other because he hasn't played with the Josh Allen all preseason.

(01:47:33):
That's my concern is like a late sort of blooming
rookie season. I think it would hurt this a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:47:40):
Yeah, I just think of Garrett Wilson.

Speaker 4 (01:47:42):
I can't get him out of my head because think
of his quarterbacks, like when he won Rookie of the Year,
and it's just like I gotta go back to see
exactly who it was in twenty twenty two. He had
guys like Zach Wilson, Joe Flacco, Mike White, Chris Streveler.

Speaker 1 (01:48:01):
Remember he started one game. He won Rookie of the
Year with those guys.

Speaker 4 (01:48:06):
So look, I'm not telling you to put your fortune
on Keon Coleman to win offensive Rookie of the Year.

Speaker 1 (01:48:12):
But at thirty to one you have Josh Allen.

Speaker 4 (01:48:15):
He was just on a podcast over here with Chris
Long and he said when he was going through Keon's
college tape, he said he thought he was kind of
a mix between Michael Thomas and des Bryant. That's pretty
high praise from Josh Allen, who's been around some really
good whites.

Speaker 5 (01:48:32):
Wow. Okay, yeah, that's a lot of praise.

Speaker 4 (01:48:34):
Yeah yeah, I don't know, crack, what do you think, man?
Are you into the offensive rookie of the year market
or you got your tell you.

Speaker 3 (01:48:41):
What I'm doing right now? I'm making bets on bet MGM,
I admit it. You know, I could have said I
was making bets anywhere, but it's actually no one will.
I'm going to give this out at the end of
the show, by the way, before the game starts. So
this is going to be a bet. This is probably
my better today. No, I'm not in that market right now. No,
I don't like betting into futures market. But yet I

(01:49:05):
say that. And guys, you were talking about coach of
the Year before. Believe it or not, I made a
bet maybe two months ago O'Connell Coach of the Year
in the NFL at thirty two to one. I just
threw a peanut or a peanut plus. You know, it
doesn't matter because it's the thirty two to one. You
still got to make the size bet you make. So

(01:49:26):
I just threw a peanut. Plus I'm thirty two to
one on O'Connell being the coach of the year. But
I have some NFL props of course, but you know
over unders for the year, mostly unders, and I usually
stay out of this particular market. But that's just something
I wanted to add to you. Guys.

Speaker 1 (01:49:43):
Oh, I hear you, man, you don't swim in those waters.

Speaker 2 (01:49:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:49:48):
By the way, I just want to throw this out
super fast, Jeff, I know you had a strong reaction
to this. Speaking of swimming, the Notre Dame swim program
has been suspended for at least one year. They were
gambling an months themselves. They were on like bet MGM
or somewhere else. Yeah, I know that that's like betting

(01:50:08):
on their own times whether they'll go over under.

Speaker 1 (01:50:11):
This is a total overreaction, man.

Speaker 5 (01:50:12):
It's my take on this is this is more about
like the honor code of Notre Dame that it is
the actual wagering. Because to your point, if it's actually
self contained to let's say, hey, Brian, I think you're
gonna get a two. You have a two minute race,

(01:50:35):
crack and Schwartz, what do you think? And we bet
over under on our performances exactly if they are legitimately
like throwing their performances to get to clash their own wagers.
But do we even know if they're waging on each other, like,
am I way, Brian? Are you waging on yourself? Or
just hey, we're in Like the idea that this these
these teammates are just sort of doing this on their
own to have fun, make a little dough but just

(01:50:58):
more competitiveness, right, but between each other. I can't imagine
that is the reason why the suspension happened. There has
to be something else here because the wager, again is
not that big of a deal in my opinion. It's
more the fact that it maybe they broke an honor
code thing Notre Dame, and there was also the report
there was maybe some text messages that weren't great, and

(01:51:20):
maybe that was the reason why this has happened. But
otherwise it doesn't seem like a big deal to me.

Speaker 1 (01:51:25):
It doesn't, And that's the thing the problem I have
with it.

Speaker 4 (01:51:28):
If it's the exact same situation with the Notre Dame
football team, you think they're suspended for a year.

Speaker 1 (01:51:34):
No, of course, not like they're the sacrificial lambs.

Speaker 4 (01:51:37):
Over here where it's like, hey, don't do this or
this could happen to you, even though we know that's
not the case. So if it's the text thread, whatever
the gambling was exactly, there's something else to it. I
guarantee you, whatever it was, the Notre Dame football team
would get the lightest smack on the road.

Speaker 1 (01:51:56):
Yeah right, and they're gone for a full year swim.

Speaker 3 (01:52:00):
It's ridiculous, Brian didn't did they create over underlines between
the swimmers for each event the bet on themselves.

Speaker 5 (01:52:08):
Themselves their own times? Come on, you'd be proud, crack.
But yes, they did it for themselves basically.

Speaker 3 (01:52:14):
Yeah. It's almost like incentive is just so sensitive when
it comes to any Now I'm not saying they shouldn't
be when it comes to sports camp, but I just
feel this isn't a big thing.

Speaker 5 (01:52:25):
This is Notre Dame doing it themselves. Crack.

Speaker 4 (01:52:27):
Yeah, which I think it's even worse. I think they're
being overly said.

Speaker 3 (01:52:31):
So there goes our bet. We're not gonna bet now
between ourselves us three. We're betting at the hot dog
eating contest next month. I'm not gambling it on it now,
just us three We'll.

Speaker 5 (01:52:39):
Just have to do it and see what I'm still taking.

Speaker 3 (01:52:41):
All right?

Speaker 1 (01:52:42):
Yeah, I was all over swim team wagers for notre Day.

Speaker 3 (01:52:46):
But what am I gonna do now?

Speaker 1 (01:52:47):
You know, I don't know what I'm gonna do with
the cash.

Speaker 3 (01:52:49):
All right.

Speaker 4 (01:52:49):
We got Bill Krackenberger from crackwins dot com sports handicapper
Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran, I'm Brian now all right.

Speaker 1 (01:52:57):
Coming up next rapid Fire.

Speaker 4 (01:52:59):
We'll each have it least one selection for you. We
might have some bonus picks. We might just throw twenty
at you at once, you know, stay tuned for that.
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by BETMGM.
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by

trusted producer Bo Benson. I apologize for taking Oklahoma and
USC season win total unders. Those are all of post teams,

(01:53:41):
which is randomly how it worked out. Our trusted technical producer,
Chris Burfett crushing the updates, crushing life. That would be
mister Isaac Loewenkron Top of the hour, Steve Hartman, Rich Ornberger,
you are in great hands. That comes your way in
less than ten minutes. All right, we got some picks
to make.

Speaker 3 (01:53:59):
Let's do it.

Speaker 5 (01:54:03):
Rapid fire.

Speaker 1 (01:54:05):
Okay, crack, rapid fire action. Just give us one pick
that you're looking at today.

Speaker 3 (01:54:10):
Okay, one pick? All right? Well, you guy, you got
me all messed up here. All right, let's let's go
first five Saint Louis Cardinals minus one ten on the
first five in baseball today, and I'll circle back for
another NFL play though, are in a second if we could? Absolutely?

Speaker 1 (01:54:27):
Okay, Jeff, what are you thinking about it?

Speaker 5 (01:54:29):
I have astros minus two and a half minus one
ten today. I just every day, every day, make money
every day.

Speaker 3 (01:54:38):
It's been good for you.

Speaker 1 (01:54:38):
White socks have not been killing it this year.

Speaker 5 (01:54:42):
No, that's okay.

Speaker 1 (01:54:44):
I'm gonna take you to the WNBA.

Speaker 2 (01:54:45):
Here.

Speaker 4 (01:54:46):
Give me a Leah Boston rebounding machine. I've got her
over nine and a half today against the Seattle Storm.
Been waiting for this spot here. She in two of
the three games against Seattle she's gone. She's had double
digit rebounds, so I think she's gonna get to at
least ten here today. So give me a Leah Boston

(01:55:08):
against the Seattle Start. Now, go ahead, Jefflee.

Speaker 5 (01:55:11):
Have you been reading my wager slips for today? So
I also have Boston over nine a half rebounds.

Speaker 3 (01:55:16):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (01:55:17):
That's what I like to hear. Jee wow on the
same page.

Speaker 4 (01:55:20):
Now before you get to your best bet here, crag
if you've got some others that you want to just
throw out there.

Speaker 3 (01:55:25):
I just ran a bunch of half first five. You know,
I'm not really into a baseball second half of the season,
but I've got a really good season, so I really
can't complain. I'm still firing on it. Yeah, I have
a couple more first five plays that I made. Let's
get to them here. Minnesota first five minus one, ten,
Detroit minus one, forty first five. They've been really good
to me all season, so I kind of like the

(01:55:47):
first five better. But yet I have more money than
all three combined probably on my football game today. So
you go, okay, wow, you.

Speaker 4 (01:55:59):
Like the first half wagers in football, the first five
in baseball, right.

Speaker 3 (01:56:03):
Yeah, yeah, and even the first quarter in football. This
time of the year when you get the information.

Speaker 5 (01:56:09):
So like today, probably for a while, I imagine.

Speaker 3 (01:56:12):
Y yep, yep. And the Packer game. Let me just
read real quick. Green Bay Packers are going to rest
their starters, according to head coach the Floor with the
second preseason game they do. But Denver going to play
their starters. So Denver playing their starters, green Bay not
playing their start Listen, they're gonna have their backup quarterback.
I think it's Sewing Clifford, but that's not officially yet.

Speaker 5 (01:56:35):
Either.

Speaker 3 (01:56:35):
They'll have there's another guy there. I really don't want
to know much about, Michael Pratt, but these two guys
back back and forth, and I just think that, uh,
you know, I just think Denver here, there's any ways
to go at.

Speaker 4 (01:56:48):
It, man, I'll tell you real fast. Before your best
bet here. That has got to be the worst sign
for the regular season.

Speaker 1 (01:56:56):
If you're like, we got our starting offense going like
the Raiders last night against the backups of the Calibray
and they can't move, can't move them.

Speaker 3 (01:57:05):
Oh my god, it's terrible.

Speaker 5 (01:57:07):
It really, it's not. It doesn't feel good, trust me.

Speaker 1 (01:57:10):
All right, let's get to Crack's best pick.

Speaker 3 (01:57:12):
Let's do this.

Speaker 2 (01:57:15):
This is the best play of the day.

Speaker 1 (01:57:20):
All right, Crack, what do you have for us?

Speaker 3 (01:57:21):
Old, we're on the bet engm map I was betting
it before and not a lot of places put this up.
So they do first quarter Broncos money line minus two
to one. I don't like laying two to one, but
I like laying it when I know that there's gonna
be starters against backups.

Speaker 1 (01:57:35):
So there you go, U Broncos. First quarter in bo
Nicks You.

Speaker 3 (01:57:40):
Trust half game everything?

Speaker 1 (01:57:41):
Yeah, yeah, no doubt. Is Bonnix gonna be the week
one starter?

Speaker 5 (01:57:45):
Oh absolutely, yes, yeah he'll be the guy.

Speaker 4 (01:57:48):
All Right, everybody, enjoy the ball. We'll be back at
you next Saturday and Sunday. Go at Leah Boston
