Speaker 1 (00:04):
All right, an Come and toyo live from Philly.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
It's the number one rated Paully and Tony Foot Show.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Yo.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
As always, Polly Fools go here with Tony Fools going
Tony Huge Show Todays celebrating the Eagles championship.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
They are the national champs up Brazil.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
As we mentioned in our Sunday night reaction show, which
we'll be doing all season long.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
You know, we feel like it, yeah, when the mood
strikes us.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Anyway, today, misinformation flying around about the Tyreek Hill arrest,
we're going to clear it all up. And scandal in
San Francisco swirling around Christian McCaffrey being listed as questionable
when he was clearly out.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
And to discuss this, we're.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Going to bring on a coach who is truly an
expert at dealing with questionable players since he coached the
Jets and the Browns. So anyway, coach Eric Mangini will
be joining us.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Anyway.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
All right, a lot to get into, Tony, So let's
just get right into a top story, a story tons
of fallout from the Tyreek Hill arrest. We're gonna clear
up all the misinformation out there starting now, you know.
First Papel said that tyreek Hill was resisting arrest. But
this was clearly a misunderstanding, wasn't it, Doning.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
It makes perfect sense why tyreek Hill stayed in the
car when the cop was yelling at him. We all
know that as the father of ten children, Tyreek Hill's
not used to pulling out on time.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
So when the cop said you're gonna get pulled out.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Of the car, it was clear tyreek Hills never heard
the term.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
Pull out before and he got confused.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Great point, Tony, And you know people they're saying the
police overreacted, Well, think of the last time a famous
NFL player resisted arrest.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
OHJ there you go.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
I mean that had to be right on the top
of their mind, didn't it, Dony?

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Yeah, see what happened with OJ that was resisting arrest.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
I mean, pull up that chart. This show's yack.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Not yards after catch, but yards after cops. Tyreek Hill
traveled zero yards while OJ traveled eight hundred and ninety
thousand yards. So when you put it into perspective, tyreek
barely did anything wrong.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Terrific analysis, Tony.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
And you know, did anyone think of why Tyreek Hill
was going so fast? I mean, first of all, he's
just a fast guy, so you gotta figure that, you
know what sixty miles per hour to a normal person
is like, you know, four miles per out of him.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
He probably thought he was going too slow.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
And you know, also you gotta consider he was driving
a McLaren seven to twenty s which only gets about
five miles per gallon.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
That's terrible gas mileage.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
So you gotta wonder if he was trying to get
to the stadium as fast as he could because he
was probably afraid he was gonna run out of gas.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
Anybody ever think that?

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Great points all around, Tony. And you know another thing
we got to mention you. You gotta look at those
numbers for the Tyreek Hill bodycam video. Hundreds of millions
of views, bigger than any Super Bowl by a mile.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
You know, you gotta wonder if the NFL and all
these media companies are sitting there wondering if they should
just make pregame shows bodycam videos of players getting stopped
and tackled by police on the way to the stadium.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
That would definitely be better than watching the CBS pregame show. Well,
anything would be better.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
That's true, And you know, may we say in Tyreek
Hill's defense here, he did come out after the whole
incident and he said, quote he wants to take this
negative and turn it into a positive.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
Oh okay, wait.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Sorry, that was a quote about his girlfriend's latest pregnancy.
Does sorry got that confused?

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Yeah? Totally I got confused too.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Yeah, I mean you could see how Well, anyway, let's
just move on to another major controversy. The forty nine
ers under fire for listening Christian mccaffe as questionable before
Monday Nights gave, even though they already knew he wasn't
gonna play. But Tony, you know, we actually have to
defend the forty nine ers here, don't we.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
We really do, because when you think about it, shouldn't
all players be listed as questionable.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
You don't know what's gonna happen to them.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
You know, they could get injured in practice, or they
could get hit by a bus. As my grandmother used
to say, nothing is promised in this life before she
was tragically hit and killed by a commuter train.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Again, my condolence is Tony, and well, also on that subject,
we gotta said, do condolens is of course to Aaron Rodgers,
you know, who had an even more disappointing Week one
than last year because this time he went uninjured, which
means he will now be for us to play for
the Jets again this week, this time on the road
against the diet.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
Just a terrible development for him. I really feel for him.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Well, speaking of terrible developments, Dony.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
International political analysts growing very concerned about November tenth, when
the NFL will play a game in Germany with a
matchup between the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers. Now,
according to our sources, government officials are very concerned about
this potentially leading to an attack of retribution against the

(05:19):
United States.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
Tony, your reaction, You know, I am calling on Roger
Goodell to avoid this disaster and swap out at least
one of the teams. You can send the Eagles there,
We'll play the Panther's no problem. We'll score seventy points
in showcase American firepower. You know, the Panthers weren't on
our schedule this year, but we're more than happy to accommodate,

(05:44):
especially if it means avoiding World War III and nuclear annihilation.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
It's the least we could do Toby in the Loups.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
And by the way, we don't want to knock the
Giants when they're down, you know, we want them to
know that all hope is not lost for them this year,
you know, totally based on the three touchdown performance of
Saquon Barkley in the in the Eagles season opener, we
came up with a terrific idea. As official representatives of
the Eagles organization, We're going to launch a new competition

(06:13):
just for Giants players.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Tell them though, We're going to reserve one roster spot
on the Eagles practice squad next season for the best
Giants player this year. This way, the Giants players will
actually have something to compete for this season.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
You're welcome.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Just such a great idea by us, Tony and absolutely
by the way, today's show is sponsored by the new
movie Reagan, which does an all star cast Dennis Quaid,
Kevin Sabo, Kevin Dylon Creed, lead singer Scott Stepp, and
the Dad from the Wonder He is terrific.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
If you don't see this movie in theaters, then shame
on you, you Soviet pig.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Go see Reagan, now playing at a theater near you. Well,
at least for the next couple of days, you know,
probably not much longer.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
Round Yeah, liberal Hollywood studios.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Anyway, Oh, I see, I guess they're coming on the line.
So let's go ahead and bring him on the full
scot Satellite network.

Speaker 4 (07:10):
Satellite work.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
All right, Well, this guy's back. You know him, he
coached the Browns and the Jets. Well, all right, that's
all you got to know, really, you know, regular guest
on the show, to everyone's dismay. You know, usually we
do a longer intro here, but let's get him in here,
all right, coach, welcome back to the show.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
Eric Mangini, Welcome back.

Speaker 5 (07:32):
Wow. That was a that was a huge, warm welcome.
I really appreciate it. It's kind of how I feel
about being back.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
It kind of reminds you of being in the NFL,
doesn't it, that they'd greet you on Sunday.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Oh he's back. Yeah, you know.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Just trying to make you feel at home. That's what
we do, coach do, Yeah, of course. Right, let's start
with the Jets, your former team. They you know, lost
of the forty nine is Monday night. How disappointed do
you think Aaron Rodgers is?

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Right now?

Speaker 2 (07:58):
That he he didn't for a season ending injury like
he did last year, and therefore has to keep playing
for the Jets.

Speaker 5 (08:06):
That's a pretty ridiculous question, but I would expect nothing
less from from you.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
Smart.

Speaker 5 (08:11):
I thought, I thought that Aaron Rodgers actually played pretty
well considering how long he's been away from football and
the questions they had.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
And this is why you didn't make it in the NFL. Coach,
low expectations.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
Coach.

Speaker 5 (08:29):
Look, the first game of the season is challenging no
matter who you played, because things are so different. Now
you're talking about a guy that hasn't played in a
long time with a group of guys that haven't played
really together at all.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
See, this is why you were a great coach. You
knew how to make a good excuse after the game.
You just make an excuses.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (08:50):
Yeah, I wish I could have made some excuses for
the Eagles last year, but I ran out of him after.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
About And don't worry, we're going to get to.

Speaker 5 (09:00):
Six seven losses that the I lost. I lost.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
They were getting ready for the draft.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Well, well we were getting ready for the draft. Yeah, draft, all, Yeah,
that's how you got to stay ahead of the game. Coach.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Yeah, alright, ready, obviously you want to talk about the
big controversy in the game San Francisco. Right, the forty
nine is listed Christian McCaffrey as questionable, even though they
knew he was going to play right, But coach, aren't
all players questionable when you think about it, I mean,
you never know what can happen, Like you know, you
can get hit by a bus or something like that.

(09:31):
Aren't you questionable to be on the show five minutes
from now?

Speaker 5 (09:34):
You don't know a meteor can hit I wish I
was doubtful to ever be on the show again, but
don't worry you are. Unfortunately I answered the call. Uh yeah, Look,
everybody could be questionable. I suppose that any given day
you have to have layers so that people can anticipate

(09:55):
what to expect. I think there's a gambling component and
a fan to see football component, and that's where those
things become frustrating for a lot of people. You guys
know about gambling and fantasy football fantasy.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
For the new app Foosco Bet, don't forget to download
Fosco Bet, where you can bet right now. And whether
Eric Mangin will make it two more minutes on this show.

Speaker 5 (10:21):
I'm I'm I got I hope, I hope it's it's
less than two minutes.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
That's the way the betting market looks.

Speaker 5 (10:28):
Now.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
Yeah, by the way, when you were coaching the Browns, though,
you know, it wasn't every player on the team questionable?

Speaker 1 (10:35):
I mean, weren't you questionable? Wasn't the whole thing questionable?

Speaker 5 (10:40):
Yeah, the whole thing was questionable. We would go into
every single week not knowing if anybody was gonna play,
and then whoever showed up on Sunday, that's who we'd
allow to play. And it was a very unique season
that way. One of that's the way it seemed to
me in the NFL. Questionable is you know whether or

(11:00):
not the Eagles will show up on a consistent.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
To turn it around. You're questionable. How you answer the question.
You are questionable how you answer questions.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Also supposed to kind of be like war, So why
would anybody send an injury report? You know when we
went into Iraq, you know, we didn't send Saddam an
injury report, like, oh, General Schwartzkough has a cold today,
he's questionable.

Speaker 4 (11:25):
We didn't do that.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Great point.

Speaker 5 (11:27):
Yeah, that's that's great analysis. Thank you. The Uh, that's
the way the system is set up to try to
get people a little bit of a and understanding of
who they can anticipate playing and not playing. And and
as much as it's compared to war, it's still a
game as opposed.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
To a So you just didn't take it seriously enough, coach,
and that's your problems.

Speaker 5 (11:49):
You know, I just think that there is a pretty
big difference between war and football. But you know, you guys,
don't you guys don't really, don't worry.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
You may wind up. Don't worry.

Speaker 4 (12:01):
We're gonna show you exactly by the way.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
Yeah, but you know, I don't want to get too
personal here.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
But you know a lot of people they're talking about
the Deshaun Watson contract with the Browns. Which one do
you think is worse the one they signed with him
or the one the brown signed with you, which was worse?

Speaker 5 (12:21):
Wow? That is that is a really that's a good one.
What a singer? How long did it? How long did
it take? How long? How long did it take you
to come up with that one?

Speaker 1 (12:30):
That is almost as long as you were on the thing.

Speaker 4 (12:33):
Yeah, he just thought of it.

Speaker 5 (12:35):
Uh. Yeah, I don't know where to go with that question.
Hopefully DeShawn will figure it out and there'll be some
more production than what we've seen so far.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
Yeah, let's talk about that production. Did DeShawn in your
estimation as a former Browns coach?

Speaker 1 (12:50):
Did de Shan Watson?

Speaker 2 (12:50):
You know, look a little stiff to you, you know,
like he could use some limbering up?

Speaker 5 (12:56):
You catch my Driffin, Are you volunteering? Like what are
you saying?

Speaker 6 (13:02):
No?

Speaker 2 (13:03):
Definitely not unces he's in a straight jacket now, they
put him in a straight jack put him if they
put restraints right, you know, different but hand tough.

Speaker 5 (13:11):
Yeah, I'm not sure what his pregaum routine is.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
What should they do to get out of the contract.

Speaker 5 (13:16):
I mean, there's nothing you can do. They got to
make your work because it just doesn't go away. Like
you guys just don't go away. We all wish you would. Oh,
but somehow you keep showing up, which is incredible.

Speaker 4 (13:29):
Number one twenty four years you're answering the one. You're
the one coach.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
Yeah, you're the question questionable one.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
You know you didn't want to discuss war well, get ready, ready,
you know, there's a very concerning situation that should be
on everyone's radar. On November tenth, the NFL will play
a game in Germany featuring a matchup of the New
York Giants versus the Carolina Panthers. How concerned are you,
coach that this could potentially trigger an act of retribution

(13:58):
against the United States.

Speaker 5 (14:01):
Yeah, I'm not. I'm not really concerned about that at all.
I would imagine at that point, hopefully both those teams
will will have things a little bit better figured out
that than they do right now. We saw the game
that just took place in South America. You know, there's
a it was a slippery field. I'm shocked. I'm shocked.
All the Eagles defensive players were complaining about how slippery

(14:24):
it is. That's kind of their mo right, But.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
The slippery one Brazil National champions they we won the
national championship in Brazil, Championship of Brazil.

Speaker 5 (14:36):
Yeah, after all the complaining about going down there in
the seventeen turnovers, we overcame.

Speaker 4 (14:41):
Bro.

Speaker 5 (14:42):
Yeah, a good job graduating. We won the champions Ay,
what do you get for that?

Speaker 4 (14:48):
We're getting a banner, a parade.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
We're going to foe, go to chaw you know, Brazilian steakhouse.

Speaker 5 (14:54):
Enjoy it, Yeah, enjoy it. That'll be a great banner.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
You know, you're just jealous because you never won a
Brazilian champion ship. Okay, yeah, let's talk about Monday night.
You know what we're talking about. Oh yeah, see, let's
take you put your coaching to the test. Yeah, Eagles Falcons. Okay,
we got the Eagles winning by fifty and Girk Cousins
out by halftime.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
Your prediction, coach.

Speaker 5 (15:17):
I would imagine it's gonna be a lot closer than that.
I would actually think that. I think the Eagles are
gonna have their hands full.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
WHOA really yeah, I really.

Speaker 5 (15:29):
I really like vic fan Joe. But but it doesn't
look like all the problems in the secondary been fixed.
And so the Philadelphia Eagles defense is not quite as
challenging as what the Steelers want.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
No, no, no, no, no. You know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
Challenging is listening to any more of you?

Speaker 3 (15:46):
Come, coach, traffic full off the show for show, and.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
I got a prediction for you. You're gonna be dead
by tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (15:57):
The show line, Jay, hang up the phone.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
You know what's questionable?

Speaker 2 (16:02):
Tony a guest book deciding to have that cloud on
the show.

Speaker 4 (16:06):
Horrible decision.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Yeah, well, don't let him them ruin, which was otherwise
a terrific show. Of course, you want to remind you
go see the new movie see Reagan, Bro, someone I
don't ever want to see again, produce j What do
you want?

Speaker 6 (16:21):
What directions?

Speaker 1 (16:22):
What he go?

Speaker 6 (16:24):
You said every player should be listed as questionable on
an NFL injury report.

Speaker 4 (16:29):
Yeah, bro, you never know what's going to happen.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
True.

Speaker 6 (16:33):
That's so stupid. It would totally defeat the purpose of
having an injury report.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
Oh yeah, well I'm going to update your injury report
to dead.

Speaker 4 (16:43):
You know what's not questionable whether or not you're a virgin.
What you said?

Speaker 6 (16:53):
The Tyree Hill police video was watched more than the
super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
Huge numbers, broke numbers, bro.

Speaker 6 (17:01):
Yeah yeah, but the police video only lasted a few minutes.
Super Bowl lasts for four hours, So that's just a
dumb comparison.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
Oh yeah, well I would like to ask you the
police shut the fuck up.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
You know what video also lasts four hours? The sex
tape I made with your mother? Oh good one? What
what he's still talking?

Speaker 6 (17:25):
What?

Speaker 5 (17:26):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (17:26):
What you said on McLaren only gets five miles per gallon.

Speaker 4 (17:31):
Totally bro read car and driver bro, I.

Speaker 6 (17:35):
Did it gets fifteen miles per gallon. Nobody would buy
a car that gets five miles per gallon.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Oh yeah, well you're gonna see a bunch of gallons
of gasoline when I pull them on your head and
light a match.

Speaker 4 (17:51):
Yeah you know what.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
Also got a lot of gallons your mother in high school?

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Oh great one, let's get Addy before we go breaking
those Tony. Next week on the show super Bowl Hero
Future Hall of Fame and Nick.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Foles will be here. I don't forget.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
