As let's go.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
This is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff, presented by
Bett mg app. Now we're live from your tailgame. Here's
Brian no h Year, NFL veteran, Jeff Schwartz at sports
handicapper from crackwins dot com Bill Crack Krackenberger.

Speaker 5 (00:49):
Oh, welcome in Happy Sunday to you Week two action here.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
And uh, I'm over here in DC. Guys. How about
that We're in a great promote it out there.

Speaker 5 (01:01):
The guy Russ Axelrod was with us here, all the
bet MGM folks, So it was beautiful.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
It was fun.

Speaker 5 (01:07):
You guys are back in your parts. Jeff and Charlotte
Crack in Vegas. So I'm out here in DC right now,
and it feels weird to just jump into the Niners
and Vikings. We will in a second. But first off,
all right, Ducks and Irish took care of business yesterday.

Speaker 6 (01:22):
Jeff, that's why you're smiling, because you're Irish won sixty seven.
I will tell you so, I tellt you guys about this.
I'm curious to get Crack's opinion. I feel like in
college football, closing the line value means absolutely nothing. In fact,
I would go the opposite direction on closing line value
if I saw it in a game like I had,
I think that's the wrong side to be on. So

(01:43):
for example, yesterday Perdue and Notre Dame started about. Purdue
was plus ten, plus eleven open the week, it got
down to seven. Yesterday I took No. Dame minus seven.
I'm like, that is ridiculous. That's a crazy overreaction. It
was sixty, the game was sixty sixty seven. It was
that happens. I got the best number in Utah yesterday

(02:03):
on the under, No came rising playing. I got under
forty six and a half. It closed at forty three. Guys,
didn't matter, Brian, Utah scored forty two points themselves, just
did thirty eight points themselves. It didn't even matter. All
these college football games, I feel like in the NFL, though,
that halfpoint matters a lot, and it comes into it
in like the NFL. I think it matters a lot
college football, man, crack. I don't know about you, men,

(02:26):
but CLV getting the best the number seems to have
the opposite effect in every game I weighed on in
college football.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
Come one of you guys. Yeah, you know, CLV was
always very important. It's still very important to me. But however,
it's funny because yesterday I actually took a little time
off and had breakfast with with one of my main guys.
He had his screens with him and everything though at breakfast,
but he said, how we're concentrating so much more on

(02:53):
the FCS games, which come up instantly an hour before
the game. There's no line. An hour before the game,
they come up, which is a more line that's not
going to be ironed out, and they're just putting up
a line. And other books are copying it that have
the SCS, but the regular top twenty, you know schools,
top fifty schools. I'm not willing to say yet that

(03:17):
closing line value has no, you know, no meaning, but
there is something to say when syndicate groups are just
groups in general that have been banging away the stuff
for years and maybe haven't evolved yet. Bang out a
line and move down the Notre Dame game from you know,
eight and a half. It was like, actually in the
nine I think I've seen and bring it down to

(03:39):
seven and maybe the other side is worth something. So
like you said, you're if you're getting the other side
of the game at the best number and it's working
for you, now go at it. Let's say's only a
couple weeks in, but go at it and see what happens.
But I'm willing to listen though, that's for sure. And
you did.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
You got some great closing line value on that one.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
Jeff.

Speaker 6 (03:58):
You know I FCS by the way, I do a
podcast called Baar Bets and one of the people part
of the podcast is Sammy p who you know crack well.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 6 (04:10):
We get an FCS text every Saturday morning about eleven
am and it was Stonybrook plus eleven yesterday against Fordham.
One book had the number up. I was able to
get it. Sonybrook went outright the FCS. There's a good
money they made. But as your point, and for those
who want to bet at those if the game is
at twelve o'clock on Saturday morning or twelve eastern saurday afternoon,

(04:30):
and that numbers posted at ten thirty seven am. Waiting
too for the last second to post those numbers.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
But these are good lines. These lines are just coming up,
so the sportsbooks don't know what to do. And if
you have a better line set than the book maker
on those FCS games, I'd rather bet FCS all day
long then bet a Notre Dame game that's been up
for you know, seven days. So yeah, absolutely, I'm looking
to steal. I'm on look at a gamble.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (04:57):
Well that's the thing, man, is Listen, if you got
note name minus whatever it started at twelve and a
half something.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
You know if you laid that that's.

Speaker 5 (05:07):
Not closing line value to your point, it would have
worked out for you handsomely.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Today it doesn't even matter.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
So but if you get it at minus seven, you
got great closing line value. It moved a ton of
total over each.

Speaker 6 (05:18):
Yeah right, But I'm more talking about from the people
that they got that good predue number. Right, You're like,
I got a great I got plus eleven, right, God,
what a great. It's more about the dog right in
this situation, I got a great number and you just
end up not remotely. It just doesn't remotely work it
at City, no doubt, you know, it just never it
never is that way and in college football. But nonetheless,

(05:42):
look we got some some conference play last night. Georgia
started slow again in conference play. It did last year
a couple of years ago. You know the Missouri game,
was it two years ago now? They almost lost the
Missouri but won the championship anyways that same year. So
it was a lot of fun. It was a lot
of fun. I had a good day yesterday. A lot
of my priors out teams being good or bad, are
starting to play out, and I'm seeing my future wagers

(06:05):
whether or not I need to get off of them,
what to play, what to sort of hit now, because
as we know, you can sort of move things around
and get different wagers here and there throughout the season.
So the teams I thought are going to be bad
are pretty bad. Like I was, The most money I
have I think in any future is usually under five
and a half wins, and I feel very comfortable with

(06:26):
that with where I'm sitting on that wager right now.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
Yeah, Florida State too man. Now zero to three, what
are they under? The cash of the season there season
win total under has already cashed three three games.

Speaker 6 (06:40):
Crack, how about that three games? And good for Memphis.
I can get my guys shout out. Ryan Silverfield, the
coach at Memphis is my offensive line coach. Is just
offensive line coach with the Vikings, fellow member of the
tribe as well. I love Ryan. He's doing a great
job at Memphis. They infuse some some cash in there
with some nil you know, some some commitment from FedEx.
Was FedEx who's in Memphis? And he's returning to favor

(07:03):
with wins three and oh so far. You know what's
actually gonna be really fun about this colfortable season? To
me right now, guys, it's not who wins the sec
the Big twelve, the Big Toe will be fun though.
It's this the group of five, that one spot, Brian,
that group of five gets right now. They're like fifteen
teams they're vying for that one group of five spot

(07:24):
right now, and teams we didn't think like like a
un LV three and oh now, it's gonna be fun
to see that last And maybe this is a year
I doubt it where we get to group of five
teams in but nonetheless that battle for that one group
of five spot, it's gonna be a lot of fun.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Absolutely it will be.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
And yeah, like you mentioned with Florida State, a top
ten team, now ohero to three and listen, it's something
to keep in mind with the NFL slate. Here is
some of these teams they look horrible one week or
two weeks, then all of a sudden, this is a
new week. They look way better. Other teams they don't
lie to you, you know, And sometimes there is such

(08:04):
a thing as underreacting to what you've seen. Like you
might think, oh, Florida State, that was a bad Week
one performance or week zero against Georgia Tech, they'll rebound. No,
they didn't do that against Boston College. Yeah, but they'll
rebound against MeV now they they won't do that either.
So there is such a thing as underreacting to the
information you have. How about this, let me throw this

(08:24):
game at you Niners and Vikings. Christian McCaffrey, the Niners
running back. He's been placed on IR he's gonna miss
at least the next four games.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
And how about that? So we got.

Speaker 5 (08:35):
CMC down for the first at least five games of
the season. It didn't affect him last week against the
good Jets defense that they may look completely average, actually
below average. So we'll see if Jordan Mason has the
goods again today on the road against the Vikings.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (08:51):
Well, of course, I'm not a big fantasy football player.
I have one fantasy team. I do it with some
colleagues I work with. No research goes into I just
show up up for the fantasy draft and then one
pick overall. I thought, on my head, you know, I
got draft Bijon Robinson and the Falcons, but I don't really
like the Falcons offense. I don't like Cousins. I'll take
CMC even though there wasn't in the back of my

(09:12):
mind like he's offen a leg injury. We talked about
this in the preseason, guys. I don't like lower lower
leg injuries for running backs and quarterbacks, the wide receivers.
Heading into the season. It never goes well and low
and Behold is out and with the thing that I
think is most frustrated, not the fantasy part of it.
Of course, that is what it is is when you
hear achilles tendonitis. The next step is out for the season,

(09:34):
right like that. That is what concerns me the most
about Christian McCaffrey. It's not the lower it's not the
the calf, which I guess sort of all is combined
together when I hear calf tightness and achille tenanitis, like
you're unfortunately, this is the stat truth about this. At
some point this season, it's gonna go like you you
really don't have any situations where we hear achilles tendonitis

(09:57):
and then all of a sudden they make it through
entire season. It's just an unfortunate part about your body,
and it does change away people. The Niners. Now, Jordan
Mason did really well. The offensive line played really well
against the Jets, and I think they bullied the Jets.
The Jets are ready. Jets maybe thought seems he's out,
we don't have to try. It's hard.

Speaker 4 (10:12):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (10:13):
They kind of got bullied up up front there. But
he's an important part of what you do and brought
pretty a different quarterback over the season. If Christian McCaffrey's
not in the lineup, and I'd be considered I was
a Niners fan, I have under eleven and a half wins.
I feel good in that position right now. Crack. I
know that's a more sharper side of the under on.

Speaker 4 (10:32):
That play, but that's a good number.

Speaker 6 (10:34):
If McCaffrey's out, I don't know the Niners are winning
the NFC.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
Yeah no, do you guys know about what happened last week?
This McCaffrey issue calls all kinds of drama in the
sports betting world. Why, you know, a certain sportsbook tried
to change the odds. Oh, Jeaffrey's replacement, like the guy
at one hundred and ten dollars, and they said that
after it was over, they said, well, McCaffrey was supposed

(10:59):
to play, therefore, we're not going to pay you the
one hundred dollars. We're going to pay you a grocery dollar.
So they tried to give them one hundred and one
dollars back, you know profit. So yeah, this was this
was a big uh. It was a really big, big
issue here, and a couple of us, you know, were
going crazy about it. And they finally changed the rule.
Not changed the rule, they just did the right to.

Speaker 6 (11:21):
Pay them out. You should be paid out. Should I
had a Jordan Mason anytime touchdown? That I took early
in the day at plus ain't fifty because I thought
McCaffrey could be limited. It immediately shot down to plus
one sixty. Yeah, I still I cashed my ticket. I mean,
that seems silly to me that the books would do
that because all it is bad press and it's not

(11:41):
a ton of money to your point, crack, not a
lot of money. And now this, this this sports book
you know now, is going to be looked at as
the sports.

Speaker 4 (11:49):
That's right, That's what I said that, that's what.

Speaker 6 (11:51):
Did this like. It's not it's obviously not bad MGM.
They would never be done. But if you're looking to
wager with the sports book now you have to think
think twice about it. Is it illegal us sports bookers
at an office?

Speaker 4 (12:04):
Yeah, no, it's illegal. It's a multi billion dollar sports booker.
I don't think they haven't across the pond in the
Jersey they're a billion Okay, let me ask you something.
I heard you say something, Jeff, So you tell me
you bet anytime touchdown early in the day. Is that correct?

Speaker 6 (12:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (12:23):
Because I listen, this wasn't announced till forty five minutes
before the game. So did you have an inkling that
he was he might not play or just injured a
little bit.

Speaker 6 (12:34):
I thought he would. I thought he'd be limited in
the game and Jordan Mason would get it in the
red zone and score touchdown. It wasn't like a I
didn't know he wasn't going to play, but the inkling
was that he wasn't gonna he was gonna be limited
at the minimum, right like or the maximum like that,
he's gonna be limited. So I just figured Jordan Mason
gets to the in zone at some point. I mean,
the backup running back. How much they run the football

(12:55):
screens and all the stuff they do, that it would
be a wager worth worth pursuing. I don't do any
time touchdowns very often, guys, I might do more of it.
It's kind of fun, but you know, it's good number.
I get the backup running back for a team that
runs the football at plus eight fifty. So it's a
great number.

Speaker 5 (13:14):
Yeah, it's a great You're smarter than me, because it
was crazy. It was the day of and I thought
the same thing. I'm like, Okay, calf Achilles, that's that's
not good for any running back, but especially Christian McCaffrey
has been banged up, So I took his season rushing
total under like the day of the Monday night game. Wow,

(13:34):
and that's an easy cash already. But you're smarter than me.
You went with Jordan Mason at eight to one or
whatever it was.

Speaker 6 (13:40):
You know, yeah, Pocos, I got not lucky there, but
I ended up getting you know, just just that's what
happens when you kind of spend your entire day looking
at numbers and being a degenerate, you know, like that's
part of it as well. So this number, by the way,
was six on Friday. It's now Niners favored by four
and a half at Minnesota. A lot of money coming
on on Minnesota here. I I don't know why. I

(14:05):
think that we are overvaluing the Vikings being a very
bad Giants team. And Sam Dartle now has looked at
as like this is the heat, this is the second
coming of whoever. I'm like, like, I think crack I
get the move home dog Niners on the road short week,
but the Vikings played the Giants. I think we're overvaluating.

Speaker 4 (14:25):
Have the Giants that Jeff, Wow, oh yeah, I have them.

Speaker 6 (14:28):
I added some more. I took them after the this
week I hit, Yeah, I had New England fewest wins
at plus three twenty. I added the Giants in Carolina
at plus three thirty and plus five.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
Carolina. What are you doing? You got Carolina against me?

Speaker 6 (14:44):
I gotta I gotta make some money back, buddy.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (14:46):
I don't know about you, but I don't I don't
think I'm gon hit that wager this year. So even
be interesting, right, Carolina has a home dog against the Chargers.
I think Dallas on hosting New Orleans. I like one
of those games will be part of my five here
in a couple of minutes.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
Yeah, So, I think I think Donald is going to
face a tougher task this week. Like you said, you know,
his former teammates over there. Donald looked really he did
look sharp week one, but it was against the Giants,
like you said, So, I think, you know, San Fran
will try to keep Donald Moore on balance like they
did with Aaron Rodgers on Monday Night. And you know,
the Vikings definitely have their work cut out for them

(15:26):
on their side of the field there, and they're going
to try to shut down rock Party offense. I don't know, uh,
you know, they might have been in uh mid season
shape already versus Jets, So that's you're right. The line
was was six and on on my contest cards. I
didn't pick the Vikings out here so uh because just

(15:47):
based on the line value. So we'll see what happens
here and we'll see if San Frian how they how
they you know, turn out here we're saying we're betting,
we bet against them season wins, and this is maybe
even more of a reason to root for the Vikings
today if you're a season win under on the San
franc season wins.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
No doubt.

Speaker 5 (16:07):
That's Bill Krackenberger from crackwins dot com. Sports handicapper Jeff

Speaker 1 (18:19):
All right, let's do this.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Follow the money, real good money.

Speaker 6 (18:24):
Ah.

Speaker 5 (18:24):
Yes, we're following the money with our good friend Seamus
McGee joining us here on Countdown to Kickoff. Seamus is
team lead of Sports Trading at BETMGM. Good morning to you, Seamus.
You know I always ask, and you got a few
of the things that you needed yesterday on your BETMGM
bingo card in the college football slate in that world,

(18:45):
how about the NFL slate? If you had two or
three things that you could magically add to the BETMGM parlay,
that would be great, you know, pay out for the book,
get great results for the book, what would you go
with today?

Speaker 8 (18:59):
Take it under, just throw a loll and a hat,
pick three out. We need a lot of dogs to
cover today, a lot of money coming in on the favorites.
It's pretty straightforward Sunday for the most part. You say
that about college like, we did get a few of
those games in either that I mentioned, but other than that,
there were some games that you know, the betters are
really happy with, and you know, yesterday wasn't the best

(19:21):
day for the sportsbook and a good day for the
betters honestly, so they have there's plenty of money to
go around today on the NFL.

Speaker 6 (19:29):
Is there a game that you think is a severe
overreaction to what we saw in the Week one? You know,
is there a number out there that you think, like, man,
you know, people are kind of missing this because we
saw something happen in Week one that that might not
be what the team actually is.

Speaker 8 (19:44):
You know, I look at this for and it's really
tough because usually week two you do see that. But honestly,
there's a lot of these games I think are going
to be really tough to bet. Like maybe I could
see the Cowboys getting up to a point if it
was up to me eight up to seven, but uh,
that's really splitting hairs at this point. I think the

(20:06):
board's pretty tough this week, honestly, you.

Speaker 4 (20:09):
Know, Seamus as we speak, Uh, Dallas is a major
line move on my Dom Bette screen here, so I'm
looking at them move around to six and a solid
six and a half. So would you say your biggest dogs?
Because I'm gonna go take it a step further. I know,
Brian Ash you your biggest dogs, your biggest money? Would
they be the biggest favorites that you that that are

(20:29):
being bet right now? Is Dallas one of them? Is
is Baltimore one? Or what? What are the three dogs?
What are the actual games themselves? So the public loves
to know, like is Kansas City being is that being
bet one way or what? So? What are what are
the big favorites that are being bet with bet MGM
and probably across the world.

Speaker 8 (20:48):
Yeah that, Uh, that Cowboys one is definitely one of
the bigger needs. We're gonna need the Saints big time there.
I think the Ravens too, is another team. People are
really low after the Raiders Week one for fours, A
lot of money's coming on Baltimore and just like the
Raiders angle, a lot of people are fading the Browns
this week, So I think the Browns is going to be,

(21:08):
you know, one of those games we're going to need
pretty big too.

Speaker 5 (21:12):
How about this, Seamus, when you look at some of
the line movement from the beginning of the week until now.
Let's put the Green Bay game to the side because
of the Jordan Love injury, but you look at a
couple of games like this, This Chiefs game has moved
three points. You know, the Rams game with Arizona that's
moved three points. Is there a game on the board

(21:32):
where you say that's moved too much? If I'm trying
to back the favorite now it's moved a little bit
too much for my liking.

Speaker 8 (21:40):
Yes, you probably think the Chiefs has moved a little
too much. Bengals offense looks bad, but they're historically have
just been awful Week one. I haven't been great week two.
But there is this allure with the Bengals playing out
erahead that the public has. So it is interesting to
see the Chiefs get such a big move. That Rams

(22:01):
game you mentioned, that feels that right like where it
is right now. The borderline tick them there. You have
the Giants Commander's game too. This opened up with US
Commanders minus three, bet down already to one and a half.
We just took another sharp bet on the Commanders just
before to keep us at one and a half. So
it's that's been a game where there's been some sharp

(22:23):
action on both teams.

Speaker 6 (22:24):
There any totals catch your eyes today? I mean Broncos
Steelers are thirty six half the the you know, the
opposite en is Lions Bucks now up to fifty one.

Speaker 4 (22:35):
And a half.

Speaker 8 (22:37):
Yeah, that Broncos Steelers one definitely called my open forty
and a half already bet down at thirty six and
a half. It feels so well. But I mean with
Knicks and that Steelers defense, it's hard to see a
ton of points and the Broncos defense, you know they
the first almost three safeties and one at there. I
mean there're no slaps in themselves. But I bet Bocks

(22:58):
Lions over is definitely one We're gonna definitely want to
stay towards the under people definitely like points in that
one seames.

Speaker 4 (23:05):
I have two games for you, the Jets game and
then I'm gonna go to tomorrow night. But the Jets
game is opened up at four and a half five
some of the bigger books, and you guys are are
just like everyone else. Right now, you're at four and
forty one. Are you seeing any action on that? I
just can't see people laying points on this Jet team
that was openly embarrassed on primetime football, yet they're a

(23:28):
four point favorite. That goes to show you how bad
Tennessee it is this year? Where's your position on that game?

Speaker 8 (23:35):
So it's a lot of Jets moneyline stuff with like
Parlay's Jesus whatnot. A lot of people bought the half
point down to three and a half or it was
briefly a juice three and a half at some.

Speaker 4 (23:44):
Points this week.

Speaker 8 (23:45):
But the plus four Jets linus four. You're seeing a
lot of Titans plus four coming in right now. So
it was weird. I was saying before, we're gonna need
a lot of favorites, So this is one of the
spots where we would be happy with the favorite covering
right now.

Speaker 4 (23:58):
Okay, and the same thing about tomorrow and I the
Philadelphia game right now, you probably haven't seen a lot
of action, but do you expect a lot of Philadelphia
action on the favor tomorrow night.

Speaker 8 (24:07):
Yeah, and we're already and we're already seeing it throughout
this week. It's been one way traffic coming in on
Philly with you know how bad Atlanta looked in their
first game against Tickburg. So we're definitely going to need
Atlanta in that one.

Speaker 5 (24:19):
You know, before you go, Seamus, I'm curious if there's
a shame As special because we normally talk to you
on Saturdays. It's a Sunday treat here, and when it's
a Saturday Shamus Special, it might be some f FCS
school that people don't know that nickname of. You know, hey,
they hit quite a bit. I'm not raining on your parade,
but with that as a backdrop, do you have a

(24:42):
Shamus Special today?

Speaker 8 (24:43):
With this NFL slate, It's pretty crazy for someone to
go on national radio and tell people that to bet
on the New York Giants. So that's exactly what I'm
going to do. Ugly Giant went out right tonight.

Speaker 4 (24:57):
Good.

Speaker 8 (24:57):
I think they went out right. I think the Dale Jones,
he de beats the commanders that there's one thing he does.
He's got their number, and I like to I think
people are a little too well on this shine steam
at all too high on this commander's team. I don't
see it with them.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
Okay, all right, great stuff, Yeah, all right, Seamus. Well,
hey man, have a good day and we'll catch you soon.

Speaker 6 (25:16):
Bude.

Speaker 8 (25:18):
Thanks guys.

Speaker 5 (25:19):
All right there he is Seamus McGee, team lead of
sports Trading at bat MGM. Great stuff. Hey, our guy
Nick Cope is with us this morning. Nick's got the latest.

Speaker 3 (25:28):
What's going on there, Nick, what's going on? Guys?

Speaker 9 (25:30):
Good morning? Week two in the NFL. Who's in Who's
out today? Lines receiver Jamison Williams. He is expected to
play through an ankle injury. Detroit hosting Tampa Bay Chargers
receiver Joshua Palmer is trending to play despite a knee
injury with La taking on the Panthers. In Carolina, Colt
receiver Josh Downs considered a toss up to play at

(25:51):
this point. He's dealing with the high ankles brain on
the other side of that matchup. In Green Bay, Packers
receiver Jeeneen Reid, he is expected to play through a
calf injury. Speaking about the Giants and the Commanders, Washington
defensive tackle Johnny Newton the rookie second rounder. He is
on track to make his season debut today. Ravens linebacker
Kyle van Noy is optimistic to play after fracturing an

(26:13):
orbital bone in the last week Baltimore hosting the Raiders.
Bengals receiver t Higgins not expected to go again. That
hamstring injury till still creating problems for him.

Speaker 3 (26:24):
By the way, guys, That.

Speaker 9 (26:25):
Line, according to bet MGN, has moved to half a
point in favor of the Chiefs from minus six to
minus six and a half in favor of Kansas City.
Satday Night Football Tonight, Bears receiver Keenan Allen and Roma
Doonza both considered game time decisions.

Speaker 3 (26:39):
ESPN says that Dunza is expected to play.

Speaker 9 (26:42):
And Allen, if he is clear to go, likely would
get a lighter workload. Other news rams place receiver Pukinakua
on ir this week. With that knee injury, Nikouah could
miss five to seven weeks, meaning he wouldn't be back
until week nine.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
At the higher end of that scale.

Speaker 9 (27:00):
NFL media says to a tongue of Ailoa has no
plans to retire, and he has actually begun meeting with
specialists after suffering his latest concussion on a Thursday, Niners
just plays running back Christian McCaffrey on IR with that
calf achilles ten to ninus NFL Meter reporting this morning
that McCaffrey is likely to be out six weeks and
potentially more. ESPN says Bengals receiver Jamar Chase doesn't plan

(27:23):
to negotiate a long term deal with Cincinnati during the season.
Similar situation for Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons. NFL media says
Parsons is content to wait until the offseason to work
out a long term deal with Dallas. Finally, ESPN says
the Niners reach out to the Vikings about trading for
Justin Jefferson prior to the draft, when they were still

(27:45):
working out things with Brandon Aiyuk. No surprise, Minnesota did
not entertain that, and the report also says the Colts
and Jets reached out to them as well. Bright No,
Jeff Schwartz spill Krackenberger back to you guys.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
Wow, good stuff right there, Thank you.

Speaker 4 (27:58):
Nick.

Speaker 5 (27:58):
It is Fox Sports Radios COUMPT Down to Kickoff presented
by Bett MG. I'm just thinking about Justin Jefferson with
any of those teams. With the Niners, that's that's scary.
But with the Jets. Who is the other team that
Nick mentioned right there who reached out the Colts? Colts
reached out as well, Yeah, what do you think about that?
Which would be, uh, what's your hierarchy right there? Of

(28:21):
most exciting Well.

Speaker 6 (28:22):
Niners probably would have been incredible, I'll tell you what though,
him with Anthony Richardson would have been something to behold
with the way Richid can throw the ball down the field, right.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
And then maybe just what this year?

Speaker 5 (28:32):
I don't know how much longer Aaron Rodgers is gonna play,
but no, imagine that the Jets got him, Like, wow.

Speaker 6 (28:38):
Can we take a second, Brian, two of us, like
his fifth concussion in three years, were already talking about
whether or not he's going to play the rest of
the season. Right, can he at least like take a
deep breath and assess before he goes to see specialists
to figure out whether or he's gonna play the rest
of the season. Look, look, every player, it's your own

(28:59):
decision whether or not gonna play, correct, whether or not
they're gonna retire, whether or not it's worth continuing to
play football. It's his decision only to be made, but
the fact that they're so eagerly trying to get him
back on the field, and by they, it's including Tua
in this right, Tua and a team. I mean, how
many think you gonna take Brian? Very clearly he cannot

(29:23):
get hit violently or he is in in in in
a bad in bad shape. And to me, man, you
gotta give yourself a little bit of time to sort
of engrace to sort of like figure this out before
you in my opinion, before you go see specialists. It's
crazy me. They're already talking about this in that way

(29:45):
where like I need to go. He's going to see
who buddy, Like, just you can cut three days ago,
get better first, and then figure out your future. I man,
he comes back in the next couple of weeks, Brian,
I'd be floored. Man, I'd be absolutely formed.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Speaker 4 (30:03):
How about his contract, He had a contract that they
didn't even mention anything about concussions or anything. I think
he just guaranteed like one hundred and sixty seven million,
no matter what.

Speaker 6 (30:12):
Something that's not no matter what. It's a lot of
you know legal ees, right, Like, if he retires on
his own recognizant, he has to get back money. But
if he is medically retired, he gets all the money.
So there's different ways it goes. Look, at some point
he will be cleared to play, like he will. It's

(30:34):
it's they'll be like, your brain is good enough to play.
But the question is should he play should he play again?
And that's not our decision to make. I can tell
you I think that he should take the season off,
the rest of the season off. I understand why he doesn't,
obviously because of just where the Dolphins are and where
he's in his career. And of course, you guys know this.

(30:58):
Athletes are are They are very strong competitors. We do
not want to be off the field. And it goes
so far. This is you know, it's it's this way.
I think people think that it doesn't work this way,
but it certainly does that. You know, players feel an
obligation once they're paid to go out and play. I
know people think that once we get paid, we just

(31:19):
stop trying. And look, certainly cases you know the famous
you know out Hainesworth right ware, Shorge just backed up.
That's like one in a million guys. The rest of
us feel an intense pressure to go live up to
our contracts. Yeah, and I understand everything too is going through.
I'm just still shocked that they are basically entertaining this

(31:40):
two days after he got knocked out again.

Speaker 1 (31:43):
You know, that's where you and I differ.

Speaker 5 (31:45):
I agree with everything, but that point because to what
he's a competitive guy, what you just explained, I'm sure
he does feel a lot of pressure and a lot
of responsibility to live up to that contract. And I
think also as a competitor, you can start talking yourself
into things and it might be true, might be a
little bit slanted, if you will, Meaning you can start thinking, hey, well,

(32:07):
what got me in trouble years ago? I was holding
onto the football too long? Right, If you look at
the concussion that wasn't diagnosed, it was a back injury.
Against the Bills a couple of years ago, He's holding
onto the football too long, hit his head on the
back of the field. The same thing against the Bengals,
held onto the ball too long, hit his head on

(32:27):
the turf right there. What happened against the Bills on Thursday,
He's running the ball, he didn't slide. He took that punishment.
So how do you protect yourself going forward? Well, get
rid of the football faster, don't take that punishment in
the pocket, and if you're running, get down and slide.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
So I'm not thinking for him.

Speaker 5 (32:46):
I just wouldn't be surprised if he starts thinking, hey,
how can I protect myself more if I'm going to
continue playing? And that's an easy fix of Hey, try
not to bowl over a safety and slide, right, So
he can control that going forward.

Speaker 4 (33:01):
But so, Jeff, do you see him? Do you see
him coming back here in the next like six to
eight weeks?

Speaker 8 (33:07):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (33:07):
Yeah, absolutely, all right, I think he does.

Speaker 4 (33:09):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm just you know, I'm sorry. I
don't mean that the guy got hurt, but I'm always
looking from an odds standpoint, and and uh, you know
something they put up the adjusted season wins every single
week after you know the games, and even with him,
I just wondered, what you thought, What do you think
that you know, will he be medically cleared and you know,

(33:30):
three or four weeks and will he come right back
you know, four weeks from now or something? What do
you thought? So?

Speaker 6 (33:36):
Yeah, I think, yeah, I think he's back when he's
clear to come back.

Speaker 4 (33:42):
Right.

Speaker 5 (33:42):
No, And that's the thing too, Jeff you said it is.
I dislike when I hear people say Tua should do this,
or should do that, or Tua should do what Tua
decides to do, right, Like, I get it if you
are advising him. If he came to you and said, hey,
what do you think I should do? And you say, hey, man,
here are my two cents, you know, YadA YadA, that's

(34:05):
different than saying he should absolutely retire. I hear a
lot of people saying that, Man, he's not a stupid guy.
He knows the risks that he's taking and if he
signs up for that, he's fully aware of that. And
the other thing I dislike is where, yes, it is
a risk with this long term health, but it's not
a certainty. If he returns to play, he's going to

(34:25):
live a short life, you.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
Know what I mean? Like, I don't.

Speaker 5 (34:27):
I think we take that too far sometimes as well.
Where I get all the risks, I get all of them.
I'm not overlooking it, but to act like, oh, you're
like you got a long life to live, like just
go away from football, as if that can't happen if
he continues playing it. Just to me, there are so
many comments I just disagree with with the whole two

(34:47):
a thing where I get where people are coming from.
But if you check your work. You know your math
teacher said that check your work back when you're in
grade school.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
It's like sometimes you're saying things that just aren't true.

Speaker 5 (35:02):
It's not a certainty that he's going to live a
short life if he comes back.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
And resumes his football career.

Speaker 5 (35:09):
So in any event, we've got Jeff Schwartz, eight year
NFL veteran Bill Krackenberger from crackwins dot Com. I'm Brian No.
Coming up next, We've got the Parlaypladder. Each of us
have one selection. We'll pull everything together for a greater
payout we hit last week.

Speaker 1 (35:23):
Huh, try to make it two in a row.

Speaker 5 (35:25):
It's Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by BETMGM.
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by
bet MGM. Every time you make a wager at BETMGM,
you earn BETMGM rewards points that can be redeemed for
things like bonus bets or converted to MGM rewards points
that can be used towards dining shows and hotel rooms

(35:46):
at over twenty MGM resorts.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
All right, let's do this, check this out parlay letter.

Speaker 5 (35:55):
Alright, all the prop bets over here. Crack will start
with you, but you don't have to go with the problem.
You can go with the side total whatever you want.

Speaker 4 (36:03):
I am gonna go. I am gonna go with a side.
The clear overreaction from week one to week two. Let's
start out with that and the look ahead line. Pittsburgh
was a one point favorite then they went. They came
out as three after their victory last week. I think
it's a clearly overreaction. I actually like Denver, just on
the money line, So my portion of the parlay will

(36:25):
be Denver money line plus. It's like plus one in
a quarter at that MGM.

Speaker 6 (36:30):
Okay, Crack took my favorite wager of the week. All right,
all right, let's let's do something else then. I really
I think that that's a pretty good wager.

Speaker 4 (36:40):
You were hitting on the same thing.

Speaker 6 (36:42):
Yeah, it's my best better week is Broncos plus three
and on the podcast it's plus three minus one twenty five.
Right now, obviously you've got through that number. I'm gonna
beg you in about two hours if I can pay
plus three on our crack challenge. All right, I'm gonna
find the.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
Right minute crack setting the new lines over here that.

Speaker 6 (37:01):
I'm gonna beg them for it, all right. I like
Caleb Williams saying under two hundred and thirteen point five
passing yards on the road first road game against the
Texans and his wide receivers we heard of the updates
questionable might not play first road game a tough environment.
The offense looked really dysfunctional in week one. I think
that Kidd Williams will again sort of struggle with maybe

(37:23):
the wrong word, but I think he'll go under his
passing number.

Speaker 5 (37:26):
Okay, man, I just checked Levante David for a tackles prop.
It's juice to minus one fifty the over eight and
a half.

Speaker 1 (37:38):
I still like it.

Speaker 5 (37:38):
I'm not going to include it in the parlay, but
it's just something to mention where the Lions they run
it a lot. Lions might have a lead and run
it even more in the fourth quarter. And Levante David
is an absolute tackling machine. I think he gets to
nine tackles, might get to double digit tackles against the Lions.
But at minus one fifty, I'll look elsewhere in the platter.

(37:59):
There are a lot of directions I can go when
I'll tell you this, I like James Connor today, the
Cardinals running back. They're going to be committed to the
running game. Of course, the Rams without Aaron Donald. So
I would look at James Connor here today. That's when
I have circled where he's at sixty four and a half,

(38:20):
I would look.

Speaker 1 (38:21):
For him to go over that in rushing yardage today.

Speaker 6 (38:24):
Okay, I tell you love it. I'm making I'm making
the parlay right now, right, I follow along. I just
like I like that Dak Broncos.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
Nowhere that you're all about that, huh.

Speaker 6 (38:37):
I think I think they went out right. There's too
much over he just waits with overreaction on this.

Speaker 4 (38:40):
We never talked earlier about the stuff.

Speaker 6 (38:43):
It's I was on the Steelers. I was on the
Steelers last week, which again I hit perfectly. I you know,
the question about this week is always right, the overreaction, right,
what what do you what do you do with some
of these numbers and overreaction and what is real? What's
not a lot of a lot of passing numbers last week.
I think we see that again this weekend. I think
there's just a lot of poor quarterback play right now

(39:04):
in the NFL.

Speaker 5 (39:06):
Yeah, I thought about you, Jeff, because that was one
of the biggest numbers from Week one. The average passing
yards league wide per game was one.

Speaker 1 (39:16):
Eighty eight point three. Oh yeah, very very low.

Speaker 5 (39:19):
And you love to take these under quarterback passing yardage bets.
And you only had two quarterbacks last week. It was
Tua and it was Matthew Stafford throw for at least
three hundred yards.

Speaker 4 (39:31):
That was close.

Speaker 5 (39:32):
Yeah, he was close, and Baker Mayfield was close too.
But only two quarterbacks threw for three hundreds plus yards,
and seventeen of thirty two starters that's over half the
league threw for less than two hundred yards passing. So
passing was really down in week one. Be interesting to
see where it is in week two here.

Speaker 6 (39:50):
I think, I think, I think some of the dophins back,
but I really do think that there are some you know,
there's some quarterbacks that are not good. I'm going to
take advantage of as I know him like to do,
you know, take advantage of that in the problem market
on the NFL Sunday.

Speaker 5 (40:02):
How many quarterback unders do you like? Passing yardage wise?
How many do you ever?

Speaker 6 (40:08):
I have right now?

Speaker 4 (40:09):
I have?

Speaker 6 (40:10):
Uh, I just have three for the week right now.
That's good?

Speaker 1 (40:15):
What are right?

Speaker 6 (40:17):
I have will Levis? I have Caleb Williams and Milie Willis.

Speaker 4 (40:22):
Okay, you know, sometimes you want to look at just
DI mean, I'm not betting over what do we I
don't think we ever bet over on quarterback yards? The
more I think about it, I don't. It's a normal
thing to for us guys that are in the know
a little bit to bet the under. I mean, the
public's betting over on everything, so you have to pay
a little bit of a tax if you're betting over
on anything like passing yardage from especially marquee quarterbacks.

Speaker 1 (40:45):
Yeah, no doubt.

Speaker 5 (40:46):
All right, coming up next it's probably the biggest matchup
of week two, and also it's definitely the biggest over
reaction from week one.

Speaker 1 (40:55):
Both of that come in your way. Oh what's going on?

Speaker 5 (40:59):
Just by out two hours from kickoff? Here in week two?
We are knee deep in NFL ball. I'll say this, man,
there's some great games, some great matchups today? Is this
the headliner? Would you still say it's Bengals Chiefs? I
would put that at the top of the list, is
or anything else that you would put ahead of that?

Speaker 6 (41:21):
I think so. I will say, though, I think for
the the public, the number one wager is going to
be on the Colts. Every person that I see who
I think is terrible gambling, is all taking the cults,
including the voice I just saw so and the bartender,
by the way, who can put me?

Speaker 4 (41:36):
So?

Speaker 6 (41:36):
I will be making a wager on the Packers. I
just have to. It's culturally.

Speaker 4 (41:41):
I didn't know to do that.

Speaker 6 (41:42):
Yeah, the voice and the bartender both both.

Speaker 4 (41:45):
On on the havest person the.

Speaker 6 (41:49):
Just the bartender too.

Speaker 4 (41:51):
Just as good to find the bad handicappers is a
good one. That this is a rarity. Now you're telling
me that it's a match against both Jonahs, both Jinxes,
that they're both on the cults. So I'll be making
I'll just tell you this a good size four figure bet.
That's crazy. I know it's crazy saying something like that,

(42:12):
but I have no problem betting a couple thousand bucks
on something that's that's not even no analytics involved, no nothing,
all I have to know is what they're so called
brains are on analytics. I love it.

Speaker 6 (42:24):
So the game you mentioned, I want to make that
clear everyonce everyone knew where to go here. Yeah, this
was interesting right because Patrick Mahomes, guys, is number now
krack correct wrong has gone from up to six and.

Speaker 4 (42:34):
A half now solid six and a half, like almost seven.
It's actually teetering, teetering towards seven.

Speaker 6 (42:41):
So the the the Chiefs with Mahomes don't cover these
games when.

Speaker 4 (42:51):
They are more than three point favorite.

Speaker 6 (42:52):
It's just it's not what he has done over his career.
When they're a three point favorite or least underdog. They
played really hard. But I will tell you this, it's
the Bengals and they hate the Bengals. Now, this is
a big number, though it's nearly a touchdown against a
Bengals team that's gonna be desperate for a win. In
this game, the Chiefs are off rest, extra rest. They
play Thursday night, which is very beneficial for Andy Reid.

(43:14):
Now that's just you know, not against the number, but
just in general. I think it's like twenty two and
three or something off off extra rest, like someone saye
number in Kansas City, or really all the time. So
if I'm putting money on this game, and I have
not done this yet, I'm a Chiefs fan. I try
out to wager on Chiefs games. I would have to
take the Bengals plust the points that I mean, I
think you just have to do that. Like I'd be
the wager to make in this game, because these games

(43:38):
have been three points every time they play. These games
are by three points. And yeah, the Bengals looked bad
against the Patriots. The Chiefs looked like themselves, probably a
little better against the Ravens. And this is a three
and a half point reaction now, right. Crack from the
opening number was, so I would mean Bengals Bengals.

Speaker 4 (43:57):
Here, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you're gonna be able to
probably get seven minus fifteen. Just to let you guys know,
just as the money keeps pouring and lots of minus
six and a half's minus fifteen almost everywhere in Vegas here.

Speaker 5 (44:09):
So I'll tell you the stat that blew my mind.
This was after week one, So Mahomes and the Chiefs
beat the Ravens. Mahomes now has seventy five wins in
ninety seven starts and I went and I looked, and
I'm like, wow, that's just regular season. So he's seventy
five and twenty two postseason, he's fifteen and three in

(44:30):
the playoffs. So collectively regular season and playoffs for Patrick Mahomes,
his record right now is ninety and twenty five. That's
what you're looking at with Mahomes. That's insane. But to
your point, Jeff, like, that's a lot of points. And
this is a Bengals team. Again, the power of embarrassment,
this is the NFL doesn't work exactly the same way

(44:51):
as college. But you know, if I can work in
the fighting Irish, to any conversation, Notre Dame was freaking
awful last week. They lose to Northern ill and all
of a sudden, all this money is pouring in. I
were fading the Irish and they win sixty sixty seven.
I'm not saying that's what the Bengals are going to
win by today, but I am saying the power of
embarrassment is real. And make no mistake, the Bengals losing

(45:14):
at home to a Patriots team that isn't close to
as talented as they are, that was embarrassing. And so
I expect complete focus from this Bengals team.

Speaker 1 (45:25):
And like you said, Jeff, this is the normal way
it goes.

Speaker 5 (45:28):
That ninety and twenty five record that's outright from Mahomes
and that is an unbelievable record, But within that are
a lot of games that the Chiefs did not cover.

Speaker 6 (45:39):
No, and it's just get it. It's just sort of
sometimes the way that the Chiefs play. They don't blow
anyone out, they really don't. It's sort of it's partly
because they don't try to run the football in my opinion,
I mean that's part of it, right, that that's not
really what they want to do. They don't sort of
just rush teams to death at the end of games.

(46:01):
That's a fascinating game, right because the Bengals if they
go oh and to they've made the playoffs oh and
two before, but they got to figure out why they
keep going oh and to start a season. This is
just and it becomes a narrative ga because especial, if
Chase doesn't play well again, and you know now we
know that he's not well, he's not he's not getting
a new contract anytime this season. The Borough, I think
the Borough risk thing is a little bit overplayed in

(46:22):
my opinion, but nonetheless, you know, still still I don't
know if it's a hundred percent. The Bengals just looked bad,
but they look bad every week one. This is nothing
new for the Bengals.

Speaker 4 (46:33):
Yeah, Jeff, and Jeff just said something. He said, Uh,
even though Kansas City is his team, it's true they're
they're not good at covering the last couple of years.
They just don't cover because of course the public's always
betting them, so you're paying that tax that I said
if you're betting Kansas City almost all year wrong, all
year long. So like, like we said, the Bengals did

(46:54):
come out totally flat. You know, they took out almost
forty of our survivor pools here in Las Vegas, forty percent.
That was the biggest spread on the board. So things
aren't going to get probably easier today though, but uh,
you know, they faced the back to back Super Bowl
champs Chiefs. But I do kind of if I can

(47:15):
get a seven, like I said, well, I'd be real
tempted later on in the later round to take them.
So I think Burrow did. Burrow even missed last year's
Week seventeen game, didn't he have the surgery. Yeah, he
was out for Yeah, I mean he won't have T Higgins.
He don't. I don't know if Chase is one hundred percent,
but he's close closer to it anyway. So I mean,

(47:37):
is Burrow one hundred percent? I mean he says he I.

Speaker 1 (47:39):
Don't think so.

Speaker 5 (47:40):
Yeah, I don't think so. But yeah, I think this
could be a big game for Jamar Chase. I think
Burrow's going to target him like crazy, like you said,
crack no T Higgins. I think he's gonna and listen,
who's gonna be matched up on him most of the time?

Speaker 4 (47:54):
Here?

Speaker 1 (47:54):
Is it going to be? Uh?

Speaker 6 (47:56):
Well, Watson followed the number one for Baltimore at least
sort of. I guess Bateman's not really number one. But
you know Zay Flowers in the slot, right, So that's
try McDuffie's in the slot. Typically that means Watson, if
Chase is out as out wide, will be on him,
and then if he's in the slot, McDuffie will probably
take Chase. So that's sort of how the Chiefs do things.

(48:18):
They put McDuffie in the slot when possible. So yeah,
the matchup probably favorites Jamar Chase here, but this is
again like because of the Bengals and Chiefs rivalry. I
really do, I really do think that the Chiefs will
be up for this game in a way that they
might not be up for other games in the middle

(48:39):
of the season. I don't see those is week two,
Like next week they go to the Falcons like they're
gonna that's gonna be a They're gonna sleep walk through
that game. Tell you right now, like I'm gonna again,
I don't bet on I don't ever bet on the
the Chief's opponent getting points again. That feels weird to me.
But the Falcons next weekend are gonna be a very
smart player to take, especially the Chiefs win the weekend.

Speaker 5 (49:01):
Let me throw another game at you. I'm curious what
you think about this because I say it's the biggest
overreaction from week one, and I realize my approval rating
from the listeners out might not be great with this take,
because I've heard this throughout the entire week with the
Browns taking on the Jags. Is DeShawn looked awful last week?
Deshaun Watson was terrible for Cleveland. There's no doubt but

(49:24):
I hear all this like, maybe Jameis Winston warming up
in the bullpen. Human, maybe Jamis gets a look here
today against Stop you have Deshaun Watson. Look at all
the money that they dumped on this guy. He's got
all these guaranteed millions of dollars. And I'm not sitting
here telling you DeShawn is a solution. He hasn't been

(49:44):
that so far. But I'll tell you this, Jameis Winston
sure isn't. He is not a solution. This idea of like, oh, Jay,
they got to bring in Jamis here if Deshawn's not
getting it done. No, they don't because Jameis Winston is
Jameis Winston. You're not upgrading right there, Like it kills me.
Where DeShawn has played six games each of the past
two years and that's part of his problem. Jameis Winston

(50:08):
has started ten games over the last four years. So
this idea that, oh man, we're going nowhere fast with DeShawn,
bring it, Jameis, we gotta save the season. That's not
who you bring in to save the season. It's so
dumb to me. All this Jameis Winston talk. What are
you talking about?

Speaker 6 (50:26):
Uh, I agree, And they paid Deshaun Watson. They have
to they have to play him like. That's also part
of it two is they don't have a choice because
they there's no other option. If they bench Watson, that's it.
But there's no it because you paid him.

Speaker 5 (50:40):
Right, Yeah, so you're still paying him a ton of
money to just, I don't know, sit on the bench.

Speaker 6 (50:48):
And no one's training for him, not with that contract.
So you're stuck. You're stuck, absolutely stuck.

Speaker 5 (50:54):
Yeah, So you gotta you gotta grin and Barrett Man,
you gotta seriously, like unless the Seawan plays so poorly
that you're just like, we can't have you out. Fine,
I get that. I just don't think it's reached that
point yet. Ask yourself this, what do you think Jamis's
stat line would have been last week against the Cowboys?

(51:15):
Do you think you would have been lighting it up?
It just it's crazy. What do you think today though, Crack?
How about Browns at Jacksonville? The Brown's much more disappointing.
Last week. They were playing a better opponent in the Cowboys,
but Jacksonville absolutely let one get away from them against
the Dolphins. What do you see in this one.

Speaker 4 (51:33):
Both these teams are coming off bad starts. In Week one,
Jacksonville blew a ten point halftime lead to Miami loose
with the buzzer. Cleveland had absolutely steamrolled by Dallas. A
lot of the sharp guys were on Cleveland there plus
two and it went the other way, so it was
actually at one point it was Cleveland minus too. Both
these quarterbacks struggled, like we said, big time last week,

(51:54):
and the Browns are gonna have to protect these sean
a lot better. I mean if they want any chance
of being relevant this season. I mean we were kind
of high on him, my guys this year. Finally Watson
coming back and you know, having a full season under
his belt and having no drama under his belt. So
to see this last week was very disappointing. Jacksonville's offense

(52:17):
kind of stalled out. Like I said last week, only
two hundred and sixty seven yards of offense. So Trevor
Lawrence when he to spread the field a lot better
than he did in Week one and don't need to
create some sort of a running game to lots of
There's some sharp action on the under on this game,
and it moved down. Let's see I think it was
like forty what's down to down forty one forty one

(52:38):
and a half. Yeah, so it's down to like forty
one and forty one and a half. So so there's
some under money on the game. But yeah, I mean,
if anything, I I lean Jacksonville in this game. But
like Seamus said, bet MGM. One of their biggest positions
is on Cleveland. They need Cleveland because everyone's betting Jacksonville.

Speaker 6 (52:57):
So well, the voice is on is on the Jags.

Speaker 4 (53:01):
So I've three.

Speaker 6 (53:06):
Yeah, I took Browns plus three. So I mean, if
you could look, I'm not saying I'm I'm sharp. I'm
not saying Brian is sharp. Crack obviously that technically sharp. Right,
that's your that's what.

Speaker 4 (53:19):
You are.

Speaker 1 (53:21):
Of this little round goodness.

Speaker 6 (53:23):
We do well, okay, like we the three of us
do well okay. And but to give out wagers where
you take the Colts okay and the Jaguars, basically like
every person in America, that's an average there's an average
joe contest. It's circa right now, and you go, look
at what what happened yesterday. The average Joe got freaking

(53:46):
murdered yesterday on the Circle contest. They just let like
average people like you know me, just like you know
people just show up and I guess be part of
this contest. It was. It was hilariously bad and then
you give up picks that are exactly same as the
average Joe. So yeah, average Joe was bad. I don't
know if if you ever look at it crack at all.

Speaker 4 (54:08):
No, I didn't. I don't look at it. Yeah, you
can actually go.

Speaker 6 (54:11):
Right here, yeah, if you go to the vsin the
top week two selections for college football that was yesterday. Yes, okay, where.

Speaker 4 (54:20):
Did they get them from? From the splits of the
sports book?

Speaker 6 (54:22):
No, these are people in the average Joe contest, their
average contest. Yeah, their picks.

Speaker 1 (54:29):
Okay, you had to be one of them, I'll tell you.

Speaker 6 (54:31):
Yeah, So here it is. You ready. Eighteen people took
Connecticut at duke over forty six. That one okay, the
next one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, The next
seven most popular wagers lost okay, yeah, so yeah, so

(54:51):
eight so yeah, So eighteen people took Connecticut Duke over
thirty one, took Florida plus four twenty two to Colorado
State plus seven twenty nine, took Oregon State plus sixteen
and a half. So out of the one, two, three, four, five, ten,
sixteen wagers here, they only won three. So they were

(55:11):
three and thirteen of the most popular picks by the
average Joe yesterday.

Speaker 4 (55:17):
Wow Wow for today.

Speaker 6 (55:18):
By the way, I feel bad because I have I
have Cowboys minus six. I like the Cowboys. It's the
most popular one.

Speaker 5 (55:25):
It is pop but you can explain it. It's like
the Saints offensive line.

Speaker 6 (55:30):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (55:31):
That's why I said.

Speaker 6 (55:31):
That's my angle is like I think I think today
and I can't find a sack prop for overall team
sacks for the Cowboys. I think it's gonna be a
So my handicap in this game is not just the
Cowboys look good the Saints overreaction. I think the Saints
offense is going to have a really hard time move
with the ball today because the Cowboys defensive line and

(55:52):
they're at home on the turf. Like, I think the
Saints offensive line is in for a really tough game today.

Speaker 5 (55:57):
What do you think, crack, if you jump into the
average Joe mind, if you will, what do you think
leads to that right where there?

Speaker 1 (56:06):
I think it's two things.

Speaker 5 (56:07):
You tell me what you think, but I think it's
obviously an overreaction from what you just saw that goes
into like the an average Joe pick. But I think
it's also this guarding against not wanting to look stupid,
you know what I mean. Like if you take the
Colts today and they've got Anthony Richardson.

Speaker 1 (56:27):
And they've got all their guys and you don't.

Speaker 5 (56:29):
Win, you kind of shrug your shoulders and say, well,
they had Malik Willis on the other side.

Speaker 1 (56:34):
I took the Colts, right, but.

Speaker 5 (56:35):
You don't want to take Malik Willis and the Packers
lose and I look stupid, Like do you think that
goes into a lot of these average Joe plays.

Speaker 4 (56:45):
Listen, for years, average shows just watched ESPN. There was
not much more or the of course the NFL, you know,
pregame shows and went by what those guys scene or
but went by with their eyes scene. Like I always say,
You're eyes play tricks on you every every given Sunday.
But now sports betting media has become so fashionable. Everyone

(57:08):
is talking about sports bets and lines now, so they
see all these shows on various networks social media platforms,
and that's how they decide what they're going to play
if something actually quantifies in their brains as Oh yeah,
I like that anyway, So I'm going to play that.
They're going by X athletes, they're going by xtra ex coaches,

(57:30):
these people that are on these shows. That's who's leading
them to the slaughter, because that's exactly what it's doing.
All that stuff. These people know nothing about gambling. They
know nothing. If they had tomorrow's newspapers open, like I
always say, tomorrow's newspapers open, they'd have a tough time
coming up with the winners. But this is what Joe

(57:53):
Public listens to. Joe Public listens to them, and they
wait for what's called matches m atc h ees matches
in their brain. Is something matches what they say that
it then it just said, oh all right, that's it.
I'm good now now I can bet that. But in
the end, it's all about back taste, back tested, you know,

(58:14):
in the data, thinking outside the box. I'm not really
one for sports betting splits a lot. So unless I
get a live number, like when one of these guys
come on our show, I want to know exactly what
the public's doing. I can't go by something that comes
out six hours later when I need to know right
before game times what the public is on and what

(58:36):
the public's betting. And like I said, like you said earlier,
you know, God protects the bookmakers, so we know, we
know what happens in the end. So there's a couple
of different ways to come up with a formula. But
I just I know, I almost said, I don't think, No,
I know one of those ways are not the way
Joe public handicaps games, for which I just said.

Speaker 1 (58:58):
That's Bill Krackenberger, right.

this the ugliest of the ugly dogs today?

Speaker 4 (01:00:11):
Maybe not?

Speaker 5 (01:00:12):
But on the short list the Green Bay Packers. We
believe they don't have Jordan Love. We've been very coy
this week, right, Jordan Love with the sprained MCL the
Friday game last week in Brazil against the Eagles. Toward
the end of the game, his knee gat you know,
twisted up right there, and we thought he could be
on the sholf for the next three four weeks something

(01:00:34):
like that. He throughout most of the week he hasn't
been ruled out, so maybe he's back sooner than later,
but we're anticipating it's Malik. Willis not exactly crushing it
thus far.

Speaker 1 (01:00:45):
In his NFL career.

Speaker 5 (01:00:47):
Hasn't had a lot of playing time, but no touchdown
passes yet, and he is the expected starter for the
Packers today against the Colts. That it's one of those
stinky dogs out there. But I'll tell you what you
were talking talking about this, Jeff. This is an average
Joe play, and sometimes average Joe plays are right. But
it's an average Joe play to back the Colts and

(01:01:08):
lay the points today on the road.

Speaker 4 (01:01:10):
More importantly, the voice, right, Jeff.

Speaker 6 (01:01:12):
The voice and the bartender. The bartender go on on
my Twitter you could you can see me retweet the
bartender equally as bad if they're both on a pick.
Just max unit whale what the internet say, crack the whale
play to whale play. I gotta I gotta see what
the other I gotta see what the other guys. Oh my,

(01:01:33):
there's three got the three people. I just fade no
matter what one of them, though purposely is bad. That's
like the stats, like the stick the shick of their
online persona, so that that makes more sense. Look, I
was going to take the Colts this week, and I
realized that doing that, I didn't. I just did't feel

(01:01:57):
comfortable to that. Here's here's why if if, if the
Colts was the right side, this number would have gone
above three and kept climbing. And I know it was.
I think look ahead line packers for by four. So
it's moved seven points without Jordan Love there. But you
have to think that if people that do this for

(01:02:17):
a living, right, they'll put down six figures on these wagers.
Thought that it was such a mismatch, which with with
Jordan Love out, would they have moved this number over three? Guys,
it's got to go in the other direction. It's come
back down a little bit. So I'm looking at this
number thing on myself. Well, you know, I'm I. It's

(01:02:37):
contra everything I want to do. But they're telling you
do not take the Colts here.

Speaker 1 (01:02:44):
Yeah, yeah, it.

Speaker 4 (01:02:48):
Really is. You're right. The number is interesting, very interesting.
And all I've heard out here in Vegas is cults,
so really yeah from the from the yeah yeah, but
you know, all the like, Like we said, all the
news this week in Green Bay was about losing their quarterback.
But I don't know. I think the test showed it
wasn't as bad as they thought, So I don't know.
He may be back in like two weeks. I don't

(01:03:10):
really know yet, But so that leaves you know, like
you said Willister on the show, he's failed to reach
one hundred yards in his three career.

Speaker 6 (01:03:17):
He's terrible. Oh god, okay, sorry. In the other part
of this that I think has not talked about is
the other quarterback in this game. Anthony Richardson is a
is a variansome machine. He is high and low, and
you know he's on the road. It's a road game,

(01:03:37):
first road game in the season for the Colts. There's
a chance he throws three interceptions in this game or
throws four touchdowns. So you're waging on a high variance
quarterback making his first road start. The Packers, in theory,
could run the football, take care of it, force a
couple turnovers. This game is close at the end, So
I didn't wager on this in my contest. I only

(01:03:59):
took it because you know the people that I fade
on the on the Colts. Yeah, it doesn't always hit,
but that's sort of the way it does more often
than not. So yeah, I'll be happy just sitting with
a little bit of money on the Packers.

Speaker 1 (01:04:13):
Yeah, it's crazy to me.

Speaker 5 (01:04:14):
Last week, the highlight plays were there from Anthony Richardson.
The bomb off of his back foot to Alec Pierce
was a sensational throw.

Speaker 1 (01:04:23):
But then at the end of the game you look
and you're like, he completed nine passes. That's it.

Speaker 5 (01:04:29):
He had nine completions in the entire game of a
game that they trailed. H So it's just a strange
game for Anthony Richardson. You're right, Jeff where a rich
It's I think that what we're going to see this
year is exactly what you saw last week. You're gonna
see some sensational plays, some great playmaking ability, and then

(01:04:52):
just a complete lack of consistency, the total lack of consistency,
and yeah, on the road in that atmosphere, I expect
Josh Jacobs to perform pretty well. The Colts have the
they don't have a great rush defense. They also lost
their top corner, Juju Brentz. He has a season ending
knee injury, so he's on the shelf. I don't know,

(01:05:14):
Crag I don't know if you get more involved in
the side or the total in this one, or just
completely stay away, because like Jeff's tut total.

Speaker 4 (01:05:20):
Has just stayed exactly forty one. It opened up forty one,
still forty one. There's been no relaction on the on
the total. And you know, again, I don't mean to
harp on this and people will, you know, I don't
know if people laugh at at this. I mean, you
can't really laugh at something, though I have. I have
had guys over the years. There's an old there's an

(01:05:43):
old knock around word. It's called the valise, these broken
down valises that used to give us picks. They should
have business cards with their names on it, nothing else,
just their name and the word opinionist. Opinionists. They're just opinionists.
They have opinions on everything. They're broke, they have no money,
but they have opinions on everything. That's exactly what these

(01:06:04):
kind of people are. And I'm not saying these people
that are giving the picks out there, but I used
to just bet against them. I used to pay them.
I used to pay them to hang around with me,
just to give me their opinions. Because they've buried every
living human put people on homeless shelters. I mean, they
just they don't care, they don't they won't stop until
everyone's broke. So I know these type of people. I

(01:06:27):
love betting against them. So I'm sticking with my I'm
gonna go with with Green Bay. Now I'm looking for
three points to buy it up. That's free.

Speaker 5 (01:06:35):
I'll tell you this one real fast thing to think
about here is you'll see this quite a bit. And
way back when when I was starting to gamble, there'd
be a starting quarterback out and there's just this disgusting
backup that's starting the game. And one of my friends,
who was pretty sharp, was like, oh, this is a
great spot to take the other team.

Speaker 6 (01:06:55):
I'm like, you're.

Speaker 5 (01:06:55):
Drunk, what are you talking about this? You will see
time and time again. You'll see these defenses they normally
willis as their starter.

Speaker 4 (01:07:04):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (01:07:04):
And you'll see routinely defenses play better than they typically do.
I would not be surprised that all if the Packers'
defense plays.

Speaker 4 (01:07:14):
Where is he today, Brian?

Speaker 1 (01:07:16):
Where is he today?

Speaker 4 (01:07:17):
Yeah? Is he still hanging out giving you a pick? Sir?
What's he doing? You know?

Speaker 5 (01:07:20):
Yeah, he's still knee deep into sports betting. He called
me last night. Shout out to my guy, Jeff Morosick.
He's on the East Coast. We worked together in Albany.
Is how I know him. He gave me crack. You
would love this. He gave me his, uh, his bookie
because you couldn't bet online at the time, and he
gave me his bookie and the guy owed me two

(01:07:42):
fifty dollars.

Speaker 4 (01:07:43):
Crack.

Speaker 5 (01:07:43):
Okay, this book he did. Yeah, he showed up and
paid me five hundred dollars and said, I'm good for
the rest. I never saw that guy again in my life.

Speaker 4 (01:07:51):
Oh my god. Yeah, come on, Jeff, what's going on
with these guys you got over there? He's for Gaizy
book pickers. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:07:58):
Yeah, but he's big on his birthday today, and he's
big on the Cardinals.

Speaker 1 (01:08:02):
And I'm like, oh gosh, I'm.

Speaker 6 (01:08:04):
On the I'm on the Rams.

Speaker 1 (01:08:05):
I am too, he's big.

Speaker 6 (01:08:07):
We'll get this in a little bit. That actually feels
kind of split there between sharp square on that play.
But I think we're looking at the end of the
Rams game and not basically how they played against a
Lions team that is much better than the Cardinals. And
the Cardinals defense is atrocious. I know the Rams have
some offensive line injuries, but the Cardinals are not the

(01:08:28):
defense to take advantage of it.

Speaker 4 (01:08:29):
They're just not.

Speaker 6 (01:08:30):
And McVeigh owns the Cardinals because he is a better
coach than everyone they've ever had. I think that the
Rams are being a little disrespected today in this game.
So I we'll get to our five later on, but
this is gonna make what it's gonna make my five.

Speaker 1 (01:08:44):
Yeah, I'm with you too.

Speaker 5 (01:08:46):
And he's like, listen, he's got this like Massachusetts accent.

Speaker 1 (01:08:50):
I can't do it, Greg, but he's like, listen, he's
very raspy.

Speaker 5 (01:08:53):
I'm okay with betting the college FOOTBALLMA NFL.

Speaker 1 (01:08:57):
That's where I get.

Speaker 5 (01:08:58):
He's like, he's all about the Cards today. We'll say,
we'll see if it's a happy birthday or a sad birthday.
We've got Nick Cope with us here this morning to
spin us around. What's going on?

Speaker 4 (01:09:07):
Nick?

Speaker 1 (01:09:07):
What should we be aware of?

Speaker 4 (01:09:08):
Bud?

Speaker 9 (01:09:09):
All right, guys, we're just getting the inactive lists in
from everybody for these ten am West Coast one Eastern kickoffs.

Speaker 3 (01:09:18):
Let's give you the actives list.

Speaker 9 (01:09:20):
Lines Receiver Jamison Williams is up, so to his Packers'
receiver Jaden Reid, Chargers receiver Joshua Palmer, Chargers defensive end
Joey Bosom. And how about Ravens linebacker Kyle van Ney.
Just a week after he fractured an orbital bone. He
is up and is active today for Baltimore. Notable inactives

(01:09:41):
Colts receiver Josh Downs he was iffy with a high
ankles brain He is inactive. So is Seahawks running back
Kenneth Walker, Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson, Saints corner Marshawn Lattimore,
and Jet's corner DJ Reid. All those guys are inactive.
Looking towards later the day. Bengals not expected to have

(01:10:02):
receiver T Higgins again still dealing with a hamstring injury
for the Sunday night game. Bears receivers Keenan Allen and
Roma Dunsa are both considered game time decisions. ESPN says
Donza is expected to play.

Speaker 3 (01:10:16):
At this point.

Speaker 9 (01:10:18):
Allen is a little more iffy, and if he is
cleared to go, expect a lighter workload for him. Other news,
Niners running back Christian McCaffrey just placed on IR. NFL
Media reports today that he's likely to be out six
weeks and potentially warm. NFL media also saying Jordan Love
is targeting week five for his return from an MCL

(01:10:39):
sprang to a tongue.

Speaker 1 (01:10:40):
Of I looa.

Speaker 9 (01:10:41):
According to NFL media, has no plans to retire and
has begun meeting with specialists after suffering that concussion. Thursday Night,
ESPN says Bengals receiver Jamar Chase doesn't plan to negotiate
a long term deal with Cincy during the season. Same
for Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons, he is content to wait
until the offseason to work out a long term deal

(01:11:01):
with Dallas and finally, reports say Puka Nakua, who is
just placed on IR with a knee injury. He could
miss anywhere from five to seven weeks, and if it's
at the long end of that, that means he wouldn't
be back until week nine. Guys, back to you, Thank you, Nick.

Speaker 5 (01:11:18):
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by
bet MGM all season long. Bet MGM's offering you a
second chance on your first touchdown bet in the NFL
when a customer places an NFL wager on a first
touchdown score a bet, and he doesn't score first, but
score second, bet, MGM will return one hundred percent of
their stake back in cash.

Speaker 1 (01:11:39):
And so guys, we look at the.

Speaker 5 (01:11:41):
First touchdown market here. You know, well you got something there, Jeff.

Speaker 6 (01:11:45):
We'll get to that, okay. Co VANOI, buddy, you're lying.
You are lying about what happened in Kansas City, and
you got confronted about it and managed to just try
to pretend you lie about it. I do not appreciate.

Speaker 5 (01:12:02):
So this is like, this was an horribit orbital bone injury.

Speaker 6 (01:12:07):
For the yes, for those who missed it. Combine only
injured his orbital bone. Went on a podcast and said
the Chiefs training staff and doctors refused to send the
I specialists to see him in the locker room.

Speaker 1 (01:12:21):
Let him just sit there, and.

Speaker 6 (01:12:24):
Then we sit there for a quarter. And then it
comes out the Chiefs trainer had to make a statement
saying we we offered him medical care. The raven said no,
and then they and then they asked for the optomologist
and he was He got there in fourteen minutes. Okay,
to see Cony. So a couple of things here and

(01:12:45):
then he was by. Like when I was confronted with him,
was like, we're on to the We're on to the Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:12:49):
We're on the Wow.

Speaker 1 (01:12:51):
Okay that's what it was.

Speaker 6 (01:12:52):
Yeah. Uh you know someone's right here to me or them,
That's what he said, and just he's it's being a
witch man. You lost the game. Stop complaining about guys.
I am for player empowerm quote unquote empowerment. I like
the players have options to speak their mind outside of
the traditional media where you sit in the locker anch

(01:13:13):
your questions. But so many players get on these podcasts
and whine about the National Football League and whine about
stuff that happens to them instead of just either thinking
about thinking about why it happened, thinking about the reason
for it. All I do is get on the internet
and podcasts and complain, complain, complain, complain. How many Brian,
how many times you listen to these podcasts and there's

(01:13:33):
complaining about stuff Kyve and OI got hurt? Okay, there
are specialists at the game. Every every team brings every
specialist to the game as a doctor. They're not all
in the comms, they're not always readily available to run
down to you the second you get hurt. And a
lot of times I've been the spot before once your
quote unquote stable right, like the word like stable right,

(01:13:56):
and it's not not life the right name, but stable
there and doctors go back to the field because they
have things to do. Right, we could just sit with
you in the locker room and wait till a special
shows up. That's what happens when you get hurt. I'd
been left in a locker room unfortunately too many times
because I was hurt and they're like, Okay, you're fine now,
we'll talk to you later. We have things to go

(01:14:16):
do on the field. You can't help you anymore right now.
And like to go on a podcast and whine about
not getting a specialist within fifteen minutes. It's such a
witch move. It's such a witch move. And dude, own
up to him. Man, you were bs and for clicks.
You called out the chiefs because they had an F
grade for their training staff. It's not why they have

(01:14:38):
it's not because of the lack of care, trust me.
And you're being a witch about it, buddy.

Speaker 4 (01:14:43):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (01:14:44):
Okay, strong feelings from Jeff Schwartz. Okay, so we got
some business to take care of Jeff, if you've gotten
that off your chest.

Speaker 1 (01:14:51):
We're looking at the first touchdown score of a game.

Speaker 5 (01:14:54):
So the bet MGM promotion, if you pick a player
to score first, he doesn't score first, but he scores
a second, well, then you get your your money back.
So it's insurance, right, you need insurance in life. You
got bet insurance over here, Jeff. We'll start with you, man.
Anything you got circled today?

Speaker 10 (01:15:10):
First touchdown score, Yeah, give me a give me Garret
Wilson plus seven and fifty for the Jets. Okay, I think, well,
we know he gets force fed by Aaron Rodgers. I
think the office just plays better today in Tennessee. So
give me the gimmy, Garret Wilson first touchdown score plus
seven to fifty.

Speaker 1 (01:15:27):
Right now, all right, how about you crack.

Speaker 4 (01:15:30):
You know, it's not a market that I that I
normally look at that often. Now with this promotion, it's
kind of interesting because you're saying they get them. If
you your guy loses and he scored, he loses the
first touchdown but gets the second touchdown, he gets his
money back. Is that right?

Speaker 8 (01:15:48):
Right?

Speaker 4 (01:15:49):
So you have to put that into the equation of
you making this type of a bet. So, in other words,
if you know I know, like me, I'm a maniac.
I always check all different sites I'm betting things to
try to compare. But let me just tell you this
goes into the equation of making the bet. So obviously

(01:16:09):
bet MGM is where to bet make this type of
a bet?

Speaker 1 (01:16:12):
Who you got? You got anybody?

Speaker 4 (01:16:14):
No, I don't, I don't, I don't have anyone.

Speaker 1 (01:16:16):
I got one for you.

Speaker 4 (01:16:17):
I'm gonna go with you. Yeah, I'm going You're.

Speaker 5 (01:16:20):
Gonna put all your trust in me? I like, yes,
I'm gonna circle Jamar Chase of the Bengals. Okay, Wow, Bengals.
Their offense looks a whole lot better this week. I
think Jamar Chase is gonna be targeted early often. I'll
go with him score the first touchdown of the game.

Speaker 1 (01:16:36):
If you don't go to.

Speaker 5 (01:16:36):
The forest first in play to score the second, that's
plus nine hundred nineto one on that. There you go,
all right. We got Bill Krackenberger from crackwins dot com.
Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran, I'm Brian. Now coming
up next the prop betting market. We will compare notes
a lot that we have circled, we'll share it with you.
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to kick Off presented

(01:16:57):
by bet MGM. It is Fox Sports Radio Countdown to
Kickoff presented by bet MGM. Once a day, Monday through Friday,
play the free to play bet MGM Ultimate Teams to
receive an Ultimate Team card with a pro football team
and spread. If that team covers the spread that NFL week,
you can win prizes plus every day Monday through Friday.

(01:17:20):
Have all five of your teams cover, and you are
eligible to win bet MGM's weekly jackpot.

Speaker 1 (01:17:26):
That is the Ultimate Team's card. Be on the lookout
for that. All right, let's do this.

Speaker 3 (01:17:33):
Prop it up player plays.

Speaker 1 (01:17:36):
Okay, crack, I know you got some prop bets for us.

Speaker 4 (01:17:38):
What do you have to I honestly have too many.
I just I'm betting as we speak. So let's go.
I'm gonna give you guys. Garrett Wilson over sixty nine
and a half receiving yards. Rogers says that Jets are
looking to get him the ball more this week, So
I have to go by what I hear in socials
and what I hear by I have to trust mister Rogers,

(01:17:59):
So let's go over on that. I'll have more for
you at the end of the show.

Speaker 6 (01:18:03):
Okay, like you all right? I like will Levis under
two hundred point five passing yards today, poor last week.
I don't think that the Titans passing game is gonna
get much better against the Jets defense. It got gash
last weekend and looking to play a little bit better.

(01:18:24):
And then I, as I mentioned earlier, I'll mention it again.
I like Kayla Williams tonight. I'm gonna pull up the
right here we go, Kaaler Williams under two hundred and
thirteen point five passing yards tonight on the road, first
road game for.

Speaker 4 (01:18:39):
Him.

Speaker 6 (01:18:39):
I think that, you know, we'll see a little bit
struggles here as wide receivers, a little beat up in
this game as well. I'm not terribly concerned about any
sort of garbage time with him in that situation. So
I like Keile Williams under there.

Speaker 5 (01:18:51):
I do like the pause where we could be jerks
and cut that sound up where you just said I
like will Levis fun there two hundred you know what
I mean?

Speaker 1 (01:19:01):
Like that was so rude, But.

Speaker 6 (01:19:03):
I'm still your prerogative if you like.

Speaker 4 (01:19:05):
To do that.

Speaker 1 (01:19:07):
This one I have circled. I have CJ.

Speaker 5 (01:19:09):
Stroud tonight not throwing an interception. Okay, now, and here's
my reasoning with Stroud no interception against the Bears. He
hasn't thrown a pick in the last eight games that
includes the playoffs and something else to keep in mind
that makes me like this even more so. Stroud has
played eighteen career games in the NFL. That includes two

(01:19:30):
playoff games. Right, eighteen total games. He's only thrown an
interception in three of those games. So one game he
had three picks, but that was earlier in his career,
so he doesn't turn the ball over very much. I
know this is an opportunistic Bears defense, but let's be honest.
Will Levis your guy, Jeff right like Will Levis greatly

(01:19:51):
assisted them with some of those interceptions last week. So
I look at Stroud protecting the ball. No interceptions for J.

Speaker 4 (01:19:57):
Stroud is what I say. I like it.

Speaker 6 (01:19:59):
I also have my the purse is over a sack.

Speaker 5 (01:20:02):
We go add that in there, all right, coming up next,
let's build off of that. It is strength versus weakness
in the pits.

Speaker 1 (01:20:10):
In this matchup. That's on the way. Oh, what is
going on?

Speaker 5 (01:20:13):
Happy Sunday to you less than an hour away from kickoff?
I always think about you with line movement. Here crack
noticing on bet MGM, some Panthers money coming in. Panthers
are now plus four and a half, so it moved a.

Speaker 1 (01:20:28):
Little bit right there. Yeah you they crack. That's dog
right there.

Speaker 4 (01:20:33):
Mar We as we speak, the screen is read with
Panthers money plus four and a half minus a dollar
fifteen at a couple places. Now, So okay, yeah, you
know you're right. You're absolutely right down to four and
a half. And you know that. Listen are the Are
the Chargers that big deal? They beat the Raider. I
mean one of my biggest bets of the year is

(01:20:54):
under Raider season wins. So, I mean, we knew that
we were going to be this bad. So all right,
they squeaked a win versus I shouldn't say squeak. They
beat the Raiders, but I still don't think much of
the Chargers. I mean, to go on the road the
look ahead, the line was three. Put it that way.
So if you would have bet this two weeks ago
the line was three, it was at six because in

(01:21:15):
the contest picks out here. The line is six on
the on the on the cards, the parlay cards, the
contest picks. So you know, we're gonna see though. They
may be this bad. We're gonna see and if they're
this bad, boy, they're in the bottom. They're in the bottom.
They're they're worse than I mean, how can they not
be worse than the Patriots now because Patriots actually shocked

(01:21:38):
everybody going into Cincinnati winning. So, uh, this Carolina team
may be this bad, We're gonna see today. But I'll
tell you what, I am not betting no Chargers laying
that wood on the road. No way.

Speaker 1 (01:21:52):
That's it's a little bit. We'll get this game in
as well.

Speaker 5 (01:21:55):
Jeff, we're talking about the Saints and Cowboys, but I
think it's similar to Chargers Panthers, where the strength of
the Chargers is running the football. We saw that last
week against the Raiders. They're committed to it.

Speaker 1 (01:22:09):
JK.

Speaker 5 (01:22:10):
Dobbins headed day, it's Harbaugh's whole philosophy.

Speaker 1 (01:22:13):
We all get that. And the Panthers right now they
can't stop the rush and.

Speaker 5 (01:22:17):
Derek Brown is hurt. So it's strength versus weakness. The
Chargers running game going going up against a weaker rush defense,
similar to what we were talking about, Jeff, where that
Saints offensive line is banged up.

Speaker 1 (01:22:31):
You don't want to have a banged up offensive line.

Speaker 5 (01:22:34):
Against a real pass rush led by Micah Parsons and
the Cowboys. So kind of a two for one combo platter.
What do you think about strength versus weakness the Chargers
running game and also the Cowboys pass rush in particular
against that Saint Soul line.

Speaker 4 (01:22:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:22:52):
The thing about the Chargers though, is is the style
of play that they have keeps games close because they
want to run the football.

Speaker 1 (01:22:59):
That's right.

Speaker 6 (01:23:00):
They want to just take the air out of games, right,
Like I have Dobbins over fifteen and a half rushing
yards today, I've not looked actually I probably look at
the updated number. I got that earlier this week. I imagine
that number has moved a little bit. I think that's
what the Chargers want to do, right. They want to
ugly the game up. It's at fifty six and a half. Oh,
I got a good number, and they want I was

(01:23:20):
still taking over fifteen and a half, by the way,
I don't I think that's I think they're going to
just try to run the football. So it's what they
want to do offensively. Herbert had one hundred and forty
four yards passing like that's it. That's all they want
to do. And so that keeps games close. Right, one
one missed assignment on defense and Bryce Sung has a
touchdown and now the game is much close to me
you think it is, right, So that's what happens with
when these games are close. On the Cowboys side, the

(01:23:45):
Saints had about a perfect game in a Week one
and it wasn't even there doing Bryce Sung was bad
right Like, it wasn't like they just jumped up and
made these incredible one handed catches like it just it
was Bryce. I'm throwing the ball right to them. It's
been an ability block. And Dallas. Look what we know
about Dallas is that their defensive line is playing well

(01:24:06):
every game, right Like they're at home now they're on
the turf that does matter, and they're playing the Saints'
offensive line that I thought played better than expected in
Week one. But Brian, there's still some issues there right
the left tackle, right tackle, like this came some concern.
So I have, like I said, I have Parsons over
three quarters of a sacks that they need one sack
for number two halves. I deally a little bit of jews,

(01:24:27):
I don't I don't like that all the time, un
laying the jews on those on those sack props. I
can't find a total sacks normally. Most games when I
see them posted, are between it's three and a half
or four and a half sacks. Typically four and a
half is high. Five sacks in a game is a
lot in the NFL, that's a lot of sacks in
a game. You know how many times the quarterback just
get back to zero, right, it's not a sack of

(01:24:48):
they if it's first and ten, the balls are twenty
and they fall down to twenty and that's just a
no game play. It's not a sack. So you gotta
get five real sacks. That's a big number. So I'll
take the Parsons over here, cracked. I'm curious, what do
you think about the Cowboys Saints game?

Speaker 4 (01:25:03):
Well, listen, both these teams come off pretty easy wins
to start the season. Probably surprised me to hear that
the Cowboys have a sixteen game home winning streak in
the regular season, which I normally don't go by. I
hate going by any kind of trends. But that's a
recent trend. It's not like, you know, some of these
guys on shows, they have nothing to talk about. They

(01:25:24):
have to fill it with stuff, so they'll say, oh,
the last ten years this team came in here, it's
total different squads. So I've talked about this on this
show before. I just can't stand trends. But this is
more of a trend that's recent. So I understand the
same season last season's familiar squads. But so Dak finally
got his big money signing the richest guaranteed deal in

(01:25:47):
NFL history was that, guys, Actually was that like right
before the game yes week on the same day.

Speaker 6 (01:25:54):
He officially signed it the next day, but it was
announced on game day, which tends to happen in Week one.
Cracks said, sort of like the deadline, and so wow, yeah,
he signed the next day.

Speaker 4 (01:26:04):
So the Saints scored NFL forty seven points. But by
the way, we haven't talked about the ship. The Saints
score forty seven points. One of my big props was
under Derek Carr, I just figured out how to lose,
you know, forty seven points, the highest of the day.
Forty just got lucky. I guess we got lucky, or

(01:26:25):
maybe it wasn't lucky. It was just that a lot
of these points were not caused by his yards passing yard,
so it was a pretty easy win. So but like
I said, he still went under it last week. This game,
it just could be the best of the day. Who knows, well,
I'm actually looking forward to this game. A lot of

(01:26:47):
people are on the Cowboys. I'm just looking right now.
Still it is all Cowboys money. It really is six
and a half dog six and a half minus fifteen six.
I'd be interested to know if the Saints could keep
this together. And the Saints weren't just beating up on
a bad Carolina team last week. So we'll see. So

(01:27:09):
there we go.

Speaker 5 (01:27:10):
It's it's just so hard. It is a real pass
rush to do much of anything. If your O line
is that bank.

Speaker 4 (01:27:17):
Al always looked good last week too, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:27:19):
Yeah they did. They did.

Speaker 5 (01:27:21):
So that's the thing where Jeff, you and I think
we're on the same side here where we don't love
like everage Joe pick yay right like it feels really
I don't know, man, but when you can explain it,
I don't have a problem being on that side.

Speaker 4 (01:27:37):
You know, I don't.

Speaker 6 (01:27:39):
I think it's the right side. I mean, I liked
it all week. Again, this is where you know the
sort of public square money like it it.

Speaker 4 (01:27:50):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (01:27:51):
Sometimes you just have to go with what you think
is best. And I think we both agree that that
public square sharp both Like.

Speaker 5 (01:28:00):
Dallas, there was a note that came across here where
Aj Brown, the Eagles wide receiver, he might not go
tomorrow night against the Falcons.

Speaker 1 (01:28:10):
He's got a hamstring issue.

Speaker 6 (01:28:11):
I think.

Speaker 4 (01:28:12):
Yeah, ah, that's why this game I didn't have it
on my screen. Very good, Brian. Yeah, five and a
half now popping up everywhere including bet MGM. Very interesting. Yeah, no,
one of the great ones. So yeah, it's got he's
worth it. He's worth points, he's worth eight points. So
it looks like they've penalized it already five and a

(01:28:33):
half everywhere, so.

Speaker 5 (01:28:35):
Right right, Yeah, that's a big deal. Big deal in
that game is Kirk Cousins and the Falcons try to
get on track. Obviously a terrible opener against the Steelers
last week, but uh.

Speaker 1 (01:28:46):
Any lean on that crack.

Speaker 5 (01:28:48):
Do you get into the Monday mindset on a Sunday
or you just locked in on today's games.

Speaker 4 (01:28:52):
I used that on now I could see see sometimes
even with skys that are sharp and make money betting
sports for a living, we don't know everything the moving
parts like this, well this is nobody knows this, so
uh yeah, I laid it on the on the all
my contest picks, a lot of picks. I put Eagles
minus six, so it was six and a half. I
was just going more by the line being six. Now

(01:29:15):
it's five and a half. So do I have either
way in this game? I guarantee you the public moves
this back up tomorrow. So if you want to bet
the Eagles, you want to bet it now minus five
and a half. This will go back up tomorrow. It'll
be public money. The Eagles at home one of the
toughest places in the world to play on Monday night football,
you know. Don't forget. These are the same fans that
throw the snowballs at Santa So yeah, tough place to play.

Speaker 1 (01:29:41):
Yeah, I love Jeff.

Speaker 4 (01:29:43):
Jeff has been there. I do. I always strode in there. Jeff,
you played there right, well, you played probably the vet
right is at the vet back then?

Speaker 6 (01:29:50):
Buddy?

Speaker 4 (01:29:51):
Was it the link? You're not that old Oh yeah, yeah,
I'm always thinking Jeff's like forty, No's I'm thirty eight thirty.

Speaker 6 (01:29:58):
I think closed in the early two thousands, I think,
so I'm not that far off. But no, I've only
played in the news Link.

Speaker 4 (01:30:04):
It is. It is quite still tough environment. Those fans.
Oh my god, they should stop selling beer after the
first quarter.

Speaker 6 (01:30:12):
Okay, the vet closest twosan two. So there we go
for the Eagles. No, I played at the Link, and
so it's a hard place to play, though, I'm with
you there. It is a tough place to play.

Speaker 1 (01:30:21):
Is there a prison in the Link?

Speaker 6 (01:30:23):
I think there wasn't a vent. I don't know if
they did that in the Link.

Speaker 4 (01:30:26):
Though I think there is. They just don't want to
talk about it, you know. If not, they should be
I'll be putting that.

Speaker 1 (01:30:32):
Up for Oh, by the way, you guys would have
loved this.

Speaker 5 (01:30:36):
So Fred Smoot was on the show yesterday Countdown to Kickoff.
He was here in d C. Former NFL cornerback played
for Washington for a number of years, a couple of
years with the Minnesota Vikings. But crack, I thought about
you with you always talk about the fans there they
throw through snowballs at Santa Claus. Oh yeah, and Fred
smoot he goes.

Speaker 1 (01:30:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:30:57):
Man.

Speaker 1 (01:30:57):
One thing about Philly, like all the.

Speaker 5 (01:31:00):
Guys, all the men have beards, and all the women
have beards. Wow, and all the kids have beards.

Speaker 4 (01:31:07):
Tough. That's tough. I don't want to get into that conversation.
South Philly is one of the toughest places in the
world though. We know that. We know that.

Speaker 6 (01:31:15):
That's like the Charles Barkley comment.

Speaker 1 (01:31:18):
Exactly what I said.

Speaker 6 (01:31:19):
Man, there was no reason whatsoever.

Speaker 1 (01:31:21):
Yeah, yeah, that's what he went with. And then there
was a lady. It was funny.

Speaker 5 (01:31:24):
She had an Eagles bag and they took a picture
together and had fun.

Speaker 4 (01:31:28):
It was yow.

Speaker 6 (01:31:30):
It was great.

Speaker 4 (01:31:31):
By the way, I'm not like listen, I love Philadelphia.
I fly in. First thing I do is going to
Ninth Street to the Italian Market and they just pick out.
So I'm gonna tell you right now, some of the

about it, nursing home it's so bad. Yeah, but great stuff,

(01:31:53):

(01:33:22):
Week one? How about the Lions. The Lions in overtime
against the Rams just lined up and played bully ball.
As a former offensive lineman, you had to love that, Jeff.
Seven of their eight plays were just running the ball
right down the Rams.

Speaker 6 (01:33:36):
Throat, right down the throat. Why not, right? I thought
it was fantastic. So this is what the Lions want
to be though, right, this is what they are. And
I the lines are my pick to win the NFC. Obviously,
the CMC injury, you feel a little bit better about
that pick after the Niners will be without him for
a little bit. But I guys, I liked the way

(01:33:58):
the Lions are built in the way they play football
right is downhill is physical. It's about you know, beating
your opponent. You're taking a will from them. I like
the offensive weapons they have. James and Williams now healthy, right,
he makes a big difference to what and what that
offense can be. With golf, you have to be pretty
excite of your large vent. However, the Bucks are not

(01:34:19):
a slouch guys. I'm surprised this number. Crack is seven
and a half and the Bucks are a playoff team.
They have good football players and they have a lot
of ways I think they can beat the Lives. I'm
surprised this number really hasn't moved very much.

Speaker 4 (01:34:33):
Yeah, first off, none of us like to be on
the side of the underdog in overtime where you know
you're looking to cover a game and now you have
this big offensive powerhouse. You know, just basically it's the
coin flip is going to win the game a lot
of the times. So that's what happened last week.

Speaker 5 (01:34:51):
By the way I had, I had the Rams and
the Crack challenge.

Speaker 4 (01:34:55):
Oh yeah, so isn't that That's just a bad way
to lose. I had the troad on on my cards,
so I needed them, just missed going five and oh
actually on three cards. The Jets cost me there, but
I did at Detroit their offense. Let me just tell
you their offense. I don't know. They didn't look so
great against the at times to me, I don't know.

(01:35:18):
And then then you go to now the other side
today with Tampa Bay. Like like Jeff said, Mayfield looked
in mid season fom last week's against Washington four touchdowns,
I mean so so, yeah, this is a lot of points.
It really is two sharp groups that I respect, including me.
Bet the over, Yeah, I think I gave it to

(01:35:42):
you guys in the chat, didn't I.

Speaker 6 (01:35:44):
That was fantastic by the way.

Speaker 4 (01:35:45):
Oh sorry, Yeah, I mean I think I gave you
guys the over forty eight and a half. Yeah, like
about a minute, about thirty forty five seconds before it moved,
I didn't know it was gonna go up, but someone
else sent it out over fifty one one and a half,
so I did not know what was gonna move like that.
Let me just see the current number. Yeah, it's still

(01:36:06):
fifty one. I've seen fifty twos out there for a minute. Yeah.
I gotta tell you something. I would not bet over
now over fifty one and a half or fifty two. No,
I'm not betting over now. This is when you drew
some key numbers here of fifty one. So I'm just
not doing that. But I'm looking forward to watch the game.
This this line is a solid, solid seven and a
half eight everywhere, seven and a half bet on GM.

(01:36:30):
I just I can't lay that extra hook on the
Lions in this situation. I can only look one way
and taking the dog. But I already have a couple
bucks on the over. So let's see what happens.

Speaker 5 (01:36:40):
Yeah, yeah, and how about this too, Primetime. We got
the Bears at the Texans. Yeah, you got this game,
circle Jeff first road game for the number one overall pick,
Caleb Williams. He did not look good last week at
all and Roade Atmosphere, Center Stage, Sunday Night football gotta
be paying attention.

Speaker 1 (01:36:58):
And I still can't get over this. The stats with Stroud.

Speaker 5 (01:37:01):
We know how sensational the guy has been, but he's
thrown five interceptions in his career. That's eighteen games, that's
including two playoff games, only five picks. It's been eight
games since he's thrown an interception. So I think that
puts even more pressure on a guy like Caleb Williams.

Speaker 1 (01:37:19):
If CJ.

Speaker 5 (01:37:20):
Stroud is not only productive, but protecting the football on
top of that, it's really tough to match points on
the road in a situation like this.

Speaker 6 (01:37:28):
It is. And look, I think that we saw Williams
last week like like a lot of rookies. It wasn't
just him. You know, it's tough. It's tough as a rookie, guys,
and we saw their offense not function very well and
they were at home against a Titan team. That's just okay, right.
They sent him up for success in the in Week one, guys,
and now he's on the road in a playoff team

(01:37:50):
like Houston is a legitimate AFC contender, and it's going
to be rack as Suna Night football. You know, Keenan
Allen is what the report, what is playing? But limited
Roma Dunes is what right game time? Decision?

Speaker 1 (01:38:04):
Is he game time?

Speaker 6 (01:38:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:38:06):
Good point.

Speaker 6 (01:38:06):
So you might be down both those guys. You're on
the road. The only the only thing that's that's tough
with these quarterback props the unders is that obviously garbage time, right,
and garbage time can but it feels less in the
NFL than college football. That's a problem. And so I'm on,
I'm on that that's my play for this game and

(01:38:27):
I and I the voice has the Bears. I took
the Texans just to fit the voice. But that's not
that's not like my play.

Speaker 5 (01:38:34):
My play is it seems like a voice pick would
be on the favorite in this one.

Speaker 6 (01:38:39):
Well, the voice is thinking, is thinking like, there's no
way that you know that that they killer on his
plays is poorly because the voice is not paying attention
to actual football.

Speaker 4 (01:38:48):
No, no, guys, A major major line move here point
the point. I just this is actually it's not shocking.
But to move a whole point at three and a
half in a couple of places. Now San fran Minnesota
down to three and a half four solid four now,
but this game was like six and a half at

(01:39:10):
one time. Wow, So yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:39:12):
Do we have do we? By the way, is there
a we still don't have that that sounder? Were you like, A,
that's right?

Speaker 1 (01:39:19):
I thought that you said.

Speaker 4 (01:39:20):
I thought this major line something lightning bolt or something
one last year did through for us. The guys were
great at that.

Speaker 6 (01:39:30):
Yeah, we need to add that back to the show
this year. We're what do you say this number is?

Speaker 4 (01:39:36):
I see, well at places that matter, that moved the
line for everyone uh, minus three and a half minus
is solid four Now at one, two, three, five shots,
this is four.

Speaker 6 (01:39:47):
This is a very This is a big overreaction.

Speaker 4 (01:39:49):
This is jeesus, it really is. I don't think this
game is gonna be Even though I did pick Minnesota
on the cards because there were six, I just don't
have that much fear. They beat the Giants last week.
I don't know if this quarterback and I just don't know,
but we'll see, we'll see. San France looks so good
last week that I'm surprised to that this is a

(01:40:10):
major line move that way.

Speaker 5 (01:40:11):
I was just gonna ask, right, Yeah, that's my thought too,
is I mean the Vikings, Yeah, they look good. It's
the Giants and and how great on center stage right
Monday night opener against Aaron Rodgers and the Niners looked
great in every phase and they're just money is just
pouring in on the Vikings.

Speaker 1 (01:40:31):
That is surprising.

Speaker 4 (01:40:32):
Yeah, yeah, it is.

Speaker 1 (01:40:34):
Yeah, very much. Okay, go ahead, Jeff, I might.

Speaker 6 (01:40:39):
Have I don't have a play on this game, but
it might be Niners time at some point.

Speaker 4 (01:40:44):
This continues to climb that direction that MGM just moved
down to. So yeah, they went when everyone else. So yeah,
it's uh, it's it's interesting. It's it's interesting that that
dog money comes in here at game time. You wonder,
how think about what's happening right now out sportsbooks across America.
It's nine thirty in Vegas, twelve thirty in New York,
all the sports books that are legal betting people firing

(01:41:06):
on NFL firing. I think about how much volume's coming
in for a sports book to move a favorite down
a public One of the America's teams is like three
of them, I'm gonna say, like San fran Kansas City,
maybe Dallas. I mean, you know, these are like big teams.
For them to move a point the other way thirty

(01:41:28):
minutes before kickoff, how much respected money must be coming
in on Minnesota. Wow? Wow?

Speaker 6 (01:41:36):
Still, So that line movements not because there's a thousand
public wagers.

Speaker 4 (01:41:39):
It's no big dog, No, it's it's the it's the
syndicate groups that are betting that. There's there's one big
syndicate that bets hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars,
maybe even up to a million dollars on Sundays, and
it's usually not this late, like right before post time
like this.

Speaker 6 (01:41:59):
Yes, but that's my question. Why wouldn't they have taken
this at six?

Speaker 4 (01:42:03):
Yeah? And they then they may have taken it at
maybe a higher number when it wasn't full capacity to
bet that kind of money. I don't know. But that's
why the Crack challenge, I say, is so hard. Guys.
It's so hard to do because you guys are picking
five games against the spread five minutes before kickoff, right.

(01:42:24):
There's just no way you can be successful long term
doing There's no way. Maybe you can run lucky for
one season, buddy, but.

Speaker 5 (01:42:34):
So what are you laying the minus two hundred agains
or whatever it is?

Speaker 4 (01:42:38):
For us to know what, Brian, very good number, that's
probably a good number. It's probably minus two hundred that
I would lay, and I'll put that out there right now.
I'll lay up to twenty thousand minus two to one.
That's how hard it is to win.

Speaker 5 (01:42:52):
Betting against your coworkers, your friends here, Crack.

Speaker 4 (01:42:56):
I'm not betting against I'm not bat I'm not betting.
I'm rooting for you.

Speaker 1 (01:43:00):
Okay, all right, good, just making sure there.

Speaker 5 (01:43:02):
All right, we got Nick Cope with us this morning.
We're gonna get to the ugliest of the potential ugly
dogs in a second here, But someone's not ugly whatsoever.

Speaker 1 (01:43:12):
Nick cope find us gentlemen over here, thank you.

Speaker 9 (01:43:14):
So much for making that clarification. Brian appreciate it. Yeah,
all right, let's get you those inactive lists as expected.
Packers quarterback Jordan Love is inactive, green baying a little
bit coy, putting him as questionable, but he is inactive.
NFL media said this morning that Love is targeting a
week five return from that mcl sprain also in active

(01:43:36):
Colts receiver Josh Down, Seattle running back Kenneth Walker, Cowboys
tight end Jake Ferguson, and then a late ad Jaguars
titan Evan Ingram. He injured his hamstring in warm ups.
He is out today for Jacksonville. Yeah, that just came
in in the last twenty five minutes or so. Some
other inactive Saints corner Marshawn Lattimore, Jets corner DJ Reid,

(01:43:59):
and Eagles receive A j Brown has been ruled out
for Monday Night football with that hamstring. Injury actives that
are good to go for this early window. Lines receiver
Jamison Williams Packers receiver Jayden Reid, Chargers receiver Joshua Palmer.
He also got Chargers defensive end Joey Bosak and Colts
defensive tackle to Forrest Buckner, all active and good to

(01:44:22):
go later on today. Bengals not expected to have t Higgins.
He's still dealing with a hamstring injury as they play
the Chiefs for tonight Sunday Night Football. Bears receivers Keenan
Allen and Romadonsay both considered game time decisions.

Speaker 3 (01:44:36):
ESPN says that Dunsay.

Speaker 9 (01:44:37):
Is tracking to play Allen a little bit more of
a toss up. If he is cleared, Allan would likely
get a lighter workload, so keep that in mind when
you're filling out your fantasy ronster today. Other news, NFL
media says to a tongue of Ilo has no plans
to retire and has begun meeting with specialists after that concussion.
Thursday Night, Niners running back Christian McCaffrey just placed on IR.

(01:44:58):
NFL media says today that McCaffrey is likely out six
weeks and perhaps a little bit more. Puka Nukua, according
to reports, could miss five to seven weeks. Rams just
placed him on ir so potentially he could be out
until Week nine. NFL media says that Cowboys linebacker Micah
Parsons is content to wait until the off season to

(01:45:19):
work out a long term deal with Dallas. That's the
same four Bengals receiver Jamar Chase. He doesn't plan to
negotiate a long term deal with Cincy during the season.
And finally, ESPN reported this morning that the forty nine
ers actually reached out to the Vikings about training for
Justin Jefferson prior to the draft when things were still
up in the air with Brandon Ayuk. No surprise, Minnesota

(01:45:40):
did not entertain those talks very much.

Speaker 3 (01:45:42):
Guys. Back to you all.

Speaker 1 (01:45:44):
Right, thank you, Nick.

Speaker 5 (01:45:45):
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff, presented by

Speaker 5 (01:46:00):
Again, just search Fox Sports Radio wherever you get your podcasts,
and you'll see this show posted right after we get
off the year. Okay, how about this, guys, So I've
circled four underdogs today.

Speaker 4 (01:46:12):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (01:46:12):
Now, these teams were awful in week one, but they
could be the right side today. Okay, So we're looking
for potential spots from ugly last week to pretty this week.

Speaker 4 (01:46:25):
I like this. I like that, all right, Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:46:27):
So try this out. Let's start with the Panthers.

Speaker 5 (01:46:30):
Got waxed by the Saints last week forty seven to ten.
They're plus four and a half today at home against
the Chargers.

Speaker 4 (01:46:37):
We on them, yep, I would tend to agree with you. Yes,
I'm on the march.

Speaker 6 (01:46:43):
Sure, yeah, probably not crack challenge, but yeah, I mean
i'd be on that. The choice is them or the favorites,
I'll take them, right. I'm not rushing to go bet
the Panthers.

Speaker 1 (01:46:54):
No, okay, fair enough. How about the g Men.

Speaker 5 (01:46:58):
Terrible home open of those ugly throwback uniforms against the
Vikings last week. They're plus one and a half at
Washington today. Crack it always it feels like he got
indigestion anytime I say, Josh.

Speaker 4 (01:47:13):
I Actually I actually had them with buffalo and a teaser,
so I didn't like them. When they goes through the
key numbers with three and seven. So okay, I just
don't know if they're going to cover this one and
a half.

Speaker 6 (01:47:23):
But but however, Shamus liked them, right, Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 4 (01:47:27):
Yeah, Shamous Seamous say that. Yeah, it's a tough game.
Both sides are ugly. It's ugly game.

Speaker 6 (01:47:34):
It's a game that I'm not going to have as
one of my four box I'll tell you that.

Speaker 5 (01:47:38):
Okay, fair enough, I can I can understand. Why how
about rise up?

Speaker 4 (01:47:44):
Huh?

Speaker 5 (01:47:44):
The Falcons they didn't look good last week, justin fields
and the Steelers got them only ten points scored Kirk
Cousins with two interceptions. They're plus five and a half
at Philly tomorrow night.

Speaker 4 (01:47:55):
What do you think I'm against them? I'm against them
for the season. I had them to not make the
playoffs for a very large bet. I'm again, I know
they don't want to go into but I'm against them. Listen,
and I know that now this brown information just came out,
which I don't like. But yeah, that's that's one of
those games where I just don't you know, Monday night

(01:48:16):
football in the link for people going crazy and some
might be drinking. Yeah, no way.

Speaker 5 (01:48:26):
Craig, what would you guesstimate? Right, you're all about odds
and calibrating stuff. And what would you guess the percentage
of the people in that stadium that haven't drank one thing,
no alcohol whatsoever.

Speaker 4 (01:48:41):
The number came out last year on this three and
a half percent do not drink. No, I'm joking. Listen,
they're they're having fun, they're enjoying themselves. But Philadelphia hires
so many of the police department to be at those
games too, you know, for their eight home games or
whatever they have, because they have one overseas. So I

(01:49:01):
don't know if they have eight or not this year
or whatever, but this game is going to be a
tough spot for the Falcons, even with Dout Brown. But
you never know. Any given Sunday, anything cannon will happen.

Speaker 6 (01:49:12):
So let me give him Monday and give.

Speaker 4 (01:49:15):
Him Monday, right, give it Sunday money. Yeah, sure, definitely.

Speaker 6 (01:49:18):
Think can Cousins run?

Speaker 8 (01:49:20):
Like?

Speaker 6 (01:49:20):
Can he actually move? Because if he can't move, he
has no chance. We saw an look. I think that
a lot of my immedia, for my my fellow media members.
You know, we get a little nerdy sometimes with our
stats about football. One of them I saw this week
was feet moved in the pocket.

Speaker 4 (01:49:39):
Huh, Okay, because I had the least feet.

Speaker 6 (01:49:42):
Moved in the pocket. Okay, I didn't need I didn't
need the analys to show me that. Guys, I watch
the game. If he cannot move, they cannot win. It's
that simple. If he cannot move, they cannot win. So
if he's gonna sit in the pocket all day and
not be able to move, plaction pass, move the pocket,
get in space, they will not win this game. They
will not cover this game. So a lot of it

(01:50:02):
comes down to how cousins and how that Achilles is
feeling come off that surgery.

Speaker 1 (01:50:07):
Oh good stuff, right there.

Speaker 5 (01:50:08):
I won more from ugly last week to potential prettiness
this week. The Las Vegas Rats, huh So they lost
at the Chargers last week? How about the ugliest play
possibly from week one was Gardner Minshew mishandling the ball
and throwing a screen pass that that was a backwards

(01:50:30):
pass and a live ball. Just a disaster. They lose
by twelve points at the Chargers. Last week. They're at
the Ravens. They're plus eight and a half. Crack, it's
over a touchdown.

Speaker 4 (01:50:40):
Let me tell you something. Let me tell you something.
This game was nine and a half here in town.
I was waiting for this game to toggle to ten.
I was grabbing it. So I'm gonna listen. I know
that I bet against them for the year season win.
This doesn't mean anything. This should be a title. Listen
the totals forty two and a half. You can't give
me a total that low and and you know double digits.

(01:51:02):
So I didn't bet it, didn't get there, but definitely
would have bet it. Uh, there's some nines on the screen.
I definitely would have bet it. And I actually even
lean the Raiders plus the points there. So out of
all those plays, even though I did take Carolina on
the cards and stuff. From a betting standpoint, this is
the one I would agree with out of those four
the best the Raiders.

Speaker 6 (01:51:22):
Hey wow, yeah, you have passed me on the Raiders there.
I mean, I know how to manage a game a
game clock. This will get ugly fast. In my opinion,
I would not I would not pull the money in
the Raiders in this game, and I know the crack
bets numbers. I bet different ways, and one of the
ways I wager is not wagering on bad quarterbacks and

(01:51:44):
bad coaches. Fair Enough, Antonio Pierce has shown over the years.
I just don't trust his coaching style.

Speaker 8 (01:51:50):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (01:51:51):
The Ravens also sort of have to get right this week, right,
and they tend to get right pretty well against bad
teams we've seen over the years and blow these teams
out at home like this. So I yeah, you could
skip skip the the Raiders on this one.

Speaker 5 (01:52:07):
Okay, you're skipping them. How about the other three? Of
the other three mentioned.

Speaker 4 (01:52:11):
Jeff, which Giants Atlanta? Yeah? Which you like?

Speaker 6 (01:52:17):
Cover years everyone? Okay, the Carolina Panthers. Don't tell anyone,
don't tell you, don't tell anyone. They can't play any worse.
I mean they can, I guess, but it's unlikely they
play worse.

Speaker 5 (01:52:33):
I like your earlier point where the Chargers just shrink
the game.

Speaker 4 (01:52:37):
Yeah, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:52:37):
And so if if you get a touchdown or tour
over point.

Speaker 6 (01:52:42):
Something like that, like a turnover especial team's score, you're
gonna you're gonna shorten the game up. Nice day today,
by the way. The weather's nice out here, so there's
no rain. It was talk about possibly rain this week,
so it's going to be uh, you know it be.
It's gonna be nice day here, guys.

Speaker 4 (01:52:59):
I said that before these ugly teams. You know, I
understand that's why it's an overreaction a lot of times
week one to week two. But like I said last week,
even these teams never look as good as they do
when they look so good, that people are going to
react off that converse with the opposite. They never look
as bad as they do. Well, maybe Carolina did, but

(01:53:21):
so they're going to overreact because of that. So that
is why this line opened up at six. But now
the sharps have knocked it down because let me just
tell you, Joe Public's not betting Carolina, so that the
sharps have knocked it down to four four and a half.
And you know it's it's any given Sunday. Make sure
you have bankroll management here. I know everyone gets really
excited to bet as many games as they can and

(01:53:44):
and they think there's locks. Locks is not a word
in my vocabulary at all. It's a lock. This is
a lock. I hate when I even hear it. Come on,
something's a lock, Jesus. The only lock you may have
is on your prison cell. Thinking that way.

Speaker 5 (01:53:57):
So no, I love the crack rants. You know I'm
here for him. That's Bill Krackenberger from crackwins dot com.
You should have the Crack rant of the day front
and center on the website. Crackna have some picks underneath it,
you know, let's get that going there. A little YouTube
action front and center on the page. We've got Jeff Schwartz,

(01:54:18):
eight year NFL veteran. I'm Brian no all right. Coming
up next to the Moment of Truth, we got Piscalore
the Crack Challenge, Rapid Fire. Crack has a play of
the day and onslaught of selections coming up. It is
