another week?

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Are you so happy?

Speaker 4 (00:30):
Ree?

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Oh I love them, I love them. But what are
you so happy about? What do you what do you so?
I know it takes you like thirty seconds to get
over a loss, but you you're at a horrible weekend?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Yeah, we are my teams huh?

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Well again, if I were you, I wasn't even going
to show up today, to be honest with you.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Well again, you've used the same joke going on ten
years running now, and I've never missed a show after
my team loses and number two, that's long season for
the Raiders.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
Yeah, you don't think you're going to turn it around?

Speaker 2 (01:00):
You for Vegas?

Speaker 4 (01:01):
God, No, but it's over for you.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
The schedule shapes up to where I think they can
win some games. I mean listen. They there's not a
lot of world beaters out there right now, outside of
maybe this team we're watching on Sunday Night Football, who's
in the middle of a doozy. Unfortunately, though, Atlanta comes
up short on a fourth and five on the goal line.
So we'll keep you up to date on Sunday Night Football,

(01:24):
where with four minutes to go, Kansas City leads Atlanta
twenty two to seventeen. And obviously Oklahoma's got a ways
to go, but there's still a three and one football team.
They're going to Auburn next week, got a bye week,
Maybe you got an exciting young freshman quarterback taking over,
and you got a defense that is nails. So I'm
not too uh, I'm not too down on any of them.
But then, of course I didn't spend the whole off

(01:44):
season telling everyone my team was going to the Super
Bowl and my college team was going to the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
Thank you my first of all, one of my teams,
Miami was one of the favorites to go to the
Super Bowl. I mean, we were going to play in
Antarctica this year. We're getting everybody back.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
They really warrant that they were one of the top
picks in the AFC.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Right, So they were right there and there was I mean,
of course everybody was excited.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
It was it was going to be a big year.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Of course, Well why shouldn't we be excited to is
stayed healthy last year? So of course I was thinking,
I've already told the boss I want that week off
so I can go to the Dolphin super Bowl parade.
Now I'm gonna have to write him in the email backs.
I don't need that dime off now too late. The
seger is going to be filling in that night. You
keep saying this every year. Eventually my Arizona Wildcat's good

(02:28):
going to the Big twelve. That that's like going down
the three divisions and the football.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
So and what happened in your well, I guess I
wasn't even a conference game.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
That wasn't a conference game, and we'll smack around Utah
like a red ended step kids.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
So I don't think that's.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
A proper nomenclature anymore. I think that's there to be. Yeah,
I think that's is that offensive.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Do we have any redheads on the show too.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
I'm a redhead? Are you a step oh? My god,
I still.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Kind of count can't serment, so we're big on the
dog there. So but you know what, I so now
I got to write and tell them I don't need
time off from my Arizona National championship in football, Thank god.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
All I have is like my knicks.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Now are you claiming the Giants though? Don't you usually
try to claim them when everyone else sucks?

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Yeah, but they stink too, Hey one today, I don't
want to be a football fan anymore. I want us
to do political talks. But Plank and Spaniard, where are
you on a flat tax?

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Well, if you want to get my wife out here,
by the way, you can move beyond saying flat tax.
If you want to get my say anything else, I
wouldn't blame you. To be honest with you, I wouldn't
blame you at all. We get my wife out here
and we can really go down a rabbit hole trails.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
And wait that nature that's flat tax.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Google it up. But he listen. I had minimal expectations
for the Raiders, all right. I just I wanted to
be competitive this year, and I get our asses kicked
every single Oh.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
Yeah, we're of the two worst teams in football.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
How about that?

Speaker 2 (03:53):
I know, right, and we played each other here in
a couple of weeks. But I was listening to Markenie
from for US, and right as I dialed in, I
heard Mark Willard making a case for your Dolphins, and
it got me thinking, so, I know you're down right now.
You guys got embarrassed today. Soon I want to her

(04:14):
about her. That's kind of what Willard was hitting at.
And it got me thinking, Yeah, I don't know who
it is. I don't know who's out there. I mean, suddenly,
Malik Willis is winning games with the Green Bay Packers
and he was essentially cut. I know they made a trade.
I think what they give up like a six round
pick form or something. But I mean, you look at

(04:35):
the Miami Dolphins schedule. This isn't a team where you're like, oh,
man one or two, we just we should go out
and tank. Arnie, your next three games are very winnable.
You get the Titans, then you go to New England,
and then you go to the Colts. Now, in fairness,
the way you guys played a lot of people might
look at your team and say, hey, we got the

(04:56):
Dolphins coming in. This is a winnable game more horrible.
Mike Marline is, though you still have Tyreek Hill, you
still have Jalen Waddle, you are invested deeply financially. I
mean what what what what did Willard say? Like fifty
million plus in the in the receiving corps per year.
So you can't just say, oh, we're gonna tap out
and tank. No, no, no, you gotta go win. I mean,

(05:17):
maybe it's maybe it's time to start trying to make
a move here, because you could look up and be
four and two. You can look up and be four
and two, and I would imagine you'd be obnoxious as
hell at four and two, especially if it's like I
like Jimmy Garoppolo or someone, Oh you go get.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Things are so bad. I would die for Andy Dalton. Well,
he looked, hey has awesome. Yeah, you realize he's four
to zero against the Raiders. I had this terrible feeling.
And I've watched every single game that he's played against
the Raiders.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
Arnie.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
He hasn't just beaten the Raiders whenever Andy Dalton, there's
not like a there's not like a I almost said
buzzer beater. There's not like a last second Hail Mary
where it's like, oh my gosh, they Colorado them or
some no he and Ryan Fitzpatrick when they play against
the Raiders, they beat the ever loving bleep out of them.
I mean every I should have known, I should have

(06:09):
known better. I got excited. I started looking at the schedule, thought, oh,
Raiders beat the Ravens. And then reality hit and Max
Crosby is hurt. But we'll talk about that later. I'm
hyping you up here, Arnie, if you could get things right.
And I don't know, I don't know how to feel
about Tua. I know he's over there with sunglasses on,
he's around. Sounds like your two to four week projection

(06:30):
is not going to happen. But at the very least,
go invest in someone serviceable, and I know it might
take a week or two for them to get the
system downright unless you find someone that's got Mike mcdig,
your chemistry professor, unless it's in his background or the
math teacher. So you're not buying this, He's what you're
saying right now. You want in on this.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
Well, First of all, I'm sick of the chemistry tutor
running down to the official am.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
I going to call time out? Am I not going
to call time out?

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Am I going to call time out? Of my Why
don't you just stand by the official? That way you
don't have to run down And by the way, you
only have three timeouts. Running down like fifteen times is
not going to cut it. Two, Why don't you get
more disciplined for your team? I mean, number one twelve
on the other team was killing us today. He called
like fifteen penalties against us. I can't take it anymore.

(07:19):
And we're the We're so undisciplined, and we need a
real quarterback. I need okay, I need a veteran. You
gotta give me a veteran. I don't want Bryce Young,
I don't want anything. If we're gonna try to save
the season, you got you gotta give me somebody. I
don't care if he's like old and you know, gosh,
I really wish we had Tommy, but it's not gonna happen.
I really wish he'd come out of retirement. So I

(07:42):
don't know what we're gonna do. I there's there's there's
nobody out there, nobody, nobody will trade, nobody's gonna give
us anything. The futures over the season's over. I gotta
I gotta go through now Thanksgiving, and while everybody's all
excited about their football team, I'm gonna be sitting in
the corter going, yeah, this sucks. My team's of it
were two and eight or something like that. This is

(08:03):
gonna be a horrible, horrible festivities this year.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Don't you love football? I mean, I'm loving every single
storyline we have that is playing out. I mean, if
there was ever a week that magnifies that this is
a week to week league. I mean the Carolina Panthers,
who have had like two press conferences now explaining why
they benched Bryce Young, who they gave up almost like
an entire roster, went and beat the Raiders.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
But what do you say, like a redheaded step child.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
I mean Andy Reid, Andy Reid, excuse me, Andy Dalton
destroyed them today. I looked up and I'm watching throughout
the day and here's a different Broncos team that's been
awful through the first couple of weeks of the season,
and they are absolutely dragging the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in
Tampa Bay. Already we got the Saints and the Eagles,
and I watched all I watched that whole I didn't

(08:52):
red zone this morning. I watched that whole Saints Eagles game.
A Saints team that looked unstoppable, and the Eagles I
mean just I mean throttled him, honestly. I mean, if
it's not for their if Nick Sirianni last this season,
I'll be surprised. He's got to make some of the
dumbest coaching decisions I have ever seen in my life.
If they just take points, Arnie, they probably win that

(09:13):
game going away, right, But they shut down the Saints.
I mean it's a week two week league, So I
understand this is our knee jerk night, and everyone on
X at Stinking Genius One, at Plank Show at Fox
Sports Radio, we need this guy fire. This guy's got
to be I understand it. It's what we do. But
holy smokes man, suddenly Denver's got live right. Suddenly you

(09:35):
look up and the Eagles have life again. I mean,
it's just wild to see how the tide can turn
in a very short amount of time. And stop me.
If you had the Vikings and Seahawks starting the season
three and zero.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
Yeah, I was a I didn't see that happening. That
wasn't on my big go card. And you know what,
it's not that I would I don't care about Philadelphia.

Speaker 4 (09:55):
Well, it wasn't like I was worried about them anyway.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
Even if they got off to a one and two start,
I knew they eventually turn it around.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Oh when you say not worry about him, I thought
you men just as a threat. Sorry, No, I wasn't.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
They're too good of a team.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
They were never gonna just you know, go through like
a five and twelve season or anything like that. I
just knew this was such an ugly game. I was
watching a lot of that. They stopped showing it on
the red Zone channel Seeattle in Miami.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
I was following it on my phone. I mean, and
it was so ugly, man, I'm like, this is just horrible.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
It was. It was just so demoralizing. I go, now,
I know what teams feel when they don't have a quarterback.
I'm dying for anybody. I'm like dying for Carson Wentz
or I'm trying to figure out who's a backup somebody
that will you know, that will come over to Miami.
Give us somebody, anybody. It's just just slim pickings out there.

(10:46):
It's horrible.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
It is and it's understandable, right because.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
And you didn't want us to give two of the money, right, Oh,
you didn't want us to give them the money.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
Look, would be in this position right now?

Speaker 2 (10:59):
What what do you mean? He's hurt, he can't play,
so you'd be You're screwed either way if you gave
him the money or if you didn't.

Speaker 4 (11:06):
Right, yeah, but now we know what life would be
like if we never.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Go Okay, I'm sorry. Do you know we get a
double header on Monday night football? Now?

Speaker 4 (11:13):
I don't understand why your Dolphins and the Titans?

Speaker 2 (11:16):
What are they? What did we do to deserve this?

Speaker 4 (11:18):
ESPN?

Speaker 2 (11:19):
Why are you giving us this punishment?

Speaker 4 (11:21):
On?

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Hey here, okay, hold on, let me spin this to
a positive.

Speaker 4 (11:24):
All right, you're ready.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
I'm trying here, guys, I'm trying so hard. You won't
be in a bad moon next Sunday because your Dolphins
don't play and you don't really gamble on your picks,
thank god. So it's not. And by the way, I'm
surprised you didn't come in here bragging because your blood
bank lock solid pick of the millennium hit, Well done.

Speaker 4 (11:44):
What's your seattle?

Speaker 2 (11:46):
You guaranteed that last week.

Speaker 4 (11:47):
I guarantee pretty much your life on that.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
I mean, it was it was so easy, and that
that was even close. I'm my blood bank guarantee is
too and O. Now, so far this year, well, it's
the first one.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
I don't remember. But I got it right, I got
it right.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
All right, Well, let's let's roll through the game. Next
week is an exciting slate in both college and pro football.
We'll spend some time coming up later in the program
with our look ahead.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
But are you okay? I know you had a tough
college weekend, though I know.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
Yeah, Man, I thought it was. It was kind of
the way I expected it to Goum.

Speaker 3 (12:20):
I thought you were gonna get Cobra.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
I feel like we did get thumped. To be honest
with you, I think Oklahoma got thumped. But I think
what you found out is Brenton Vinnables has got that
defense humming. And now I'm going to spend an entire
week with people saying, can you imagine if Baker Mayfield
had that defense? Yes, I could imagine if Baker Mayfield
had that defense. The problem is Oklahoma, my beloved Sooners Arnie,

(12:43):
went from being a team that could outscore anybody to
a team that can't.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
Score at all, which is you are.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
There's this points points per play stat that all the
all the nerds like is and the coaches love it.
I think Oklahom was dead last in that. Oh wow,
right now, DFL, Baby DFL.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
And later you got to tell me why Herbstreet is
so mad at you guys.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
Oh my goodness, I don't think he was right on
that either.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
That dude, Dejon Terry that he's talking about has actually
been hurt a lot.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
So the whole thing was like, you're the only team
doing it too, like every team does that.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
What an interesting What an interesting time to go off
whenever a dude goes down in a time when they
weren't even going with tempo. So we'll top college football
a little bit later on. The people want to hear
about the pros are yes, and they want to hear
about more than just your Miami Dolphins. So I've got
a minute forty four left in this game. Chiefs lead

(13:40):
at twenty two to seventeen, but the Falcons are knocking
on the door. They have it first intended about the
twenty two yard line. That's the Chiefs twenty two yard line.
Kansas City just had a very bad personal foul that
was called. You know what's gonna happen here? The Falcons
are going to score a touchdown, they'll miss the two
point conversion, and with two seconds left, the Chiefs are
gonna kick a game winning field goal guaranteed.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
Yeah, you might as well buy the almanac that bit
in his pocket you can get.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
You can go ahead and stop watching, because that's what's
gonna happen. So they'll score, they'll make it twenty three
to twenty two. Can correct you one thing?

Speaker 3 (14:16):
The game will technically be over and then there'll be
a late flag. Oh yeah, and it'll be in the Chiefs
favor and they'll say they'll be one on time down,
one on time down. That's right, they take the field goal, yes, exactly.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
All right, So Week three here we are. We've got
one more game Monday Night football Tomorrow night. Don't really
one more game, excuse me? Two more games coming up
this week if for you ot to doubleheader tonight tomorrow
night too, Jaguars Bills and the Commanders and the Bengals.
So not just next week, but this week too with
them Monday night football double header. But all right, My

(14:48):
biggest takeaway from today was just a week to week league, right,
I mean, Saints getting beat at home whenever they had
all the juice, and that was a.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
Horrible down them. Unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Yeah, and I think it was as bad at times
from Philadelphia where they could have pulled away. Speaking of
bad performances, the Buccaneers lose it home. Suddenly the forty
nine ers are one and two on the season, and
the Rams come from behind to win that game. The
Cardinals and the Lions, a game that hardly anyone got,
but I thought it was an incredible football game. Got

(15:19):
a lot of that on the red Zone in the afternoon,
but just the magnetic and then the Vikings winning by
what twenty seven? Winning by four scores over the Houston Texas.
What so Minnesota won that game thirty four to seven.
It's just to me, Arnie, the magnification of a week
to week league and how quickly the tide can turn
for not just you know, a game, but a season

(15:42):
in one game.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
What are the odds would have gotten if I said
I want to parlay the Cowboys starting one and two,
so the forty nine ers starting one and two?

Speaker 4 (15:50):
What kind of odds because I got on that one
who had that done.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Their bingo card down that mean seems would get there's
such a crappy start. The Cowboys looked abys ball. They
finally picked it up. I thought they were going to
I'm back, but they fell short. What a good rally
in the fourth quarter there.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
How how quickly are you mashing that panic button in
Dallas right now?

Speaker 3 (16:08):
You know, I'm panicked a little bit, but I still
think I could turn it around. I don't think the
season's done as some other one and two teams out there.

Speaker 4 (16:20):
There's some teams I uh stuff that was.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
Uh oh oh and three they're done.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
Hold on, you just got the sports gods muted you
for a moment in the middle of that take. They
are like, enough hot taking this from you, Arnie. But
so in other words, you're not ready to panic too
terribly much on the Cowboys. But there's other one and
two teams that you're like, hey, there's big problems here.
Before we dive into who saved their season and who
season ended, give me one of those one and two teams,

(16:52):
one of those two loss teams that you think might
be in big trouble outside of your Miami Dolphins.

Speaker 3 (16:57):
Wow, I would have probably said, you're.

Speaker 4 (17:00):
I mean when they that doesn't even matter.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
Yeah, I mean, you're right. The Rams, like I said,
they saved their season. Let's be honest. They should have
really dropped down to oh to three and this season
would have been done.

Speaker 4 (17:11):
They've got injuries galore.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
It probably still is done there, Chris, But want to
come from behind victory against the San Francisco team that
was battling injuries themselves. So that was that was a
big time win for the Rams.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
By the way, fifty one seconds left in the game.
Atlanta's offensive coordinator Arthur Smith. I'm sorry, Arthur Smith is
not their OC, right, he's their coach. They got fired.
He's at Tennessee. Now, whoever the offensive coordinator is that? Wait?
Hold on, is he the who's the OC? Atlanta?

Speaker 4 (17:39):
Right now?

Speaker 2 (17:39):
Someone giggle that up for me real quick. I got
you anyway?

Speaker 4 (17:42):
Who is it? Oh you're no, No, I'm going to look
right now.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Okay, the offensive coordinator Atlanta should be fired because on
fourth and inches they decided to run a jet sweep. Yeah,
and the Chiefs blew it up. So Kansas City got it?

Speaker 4 (17:55):
Got it?

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Who is it?

Speaker 4 (17:56):
Zach Robinson.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
Oh, we we can't fire him. He's an Oklahoma guy.

Speaker 4 (17:59):
He went state.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Never might give Zach Robinson another chance. We got he's
he's gonna be fine there in Atlanta. So Kansas City
now is going to down the football and they're gonna
win the football game. There's a you see Mahomes running
around trying to kill the clock before he downed it.
That's a Quarterback's gonna get ko to doing that at
some point. But this one is ov e er over

(18:20):
chalk the Chiefs up to start three and oh heartbreaking
loss for it Atlanta. They had an opportunity late, couldn't
cash it in. The Falcons will fall to one and two.
We'll recap it all next and we'll dive into a
very important question which needs to be answered in week three. Right,
you gotta know who saved their season, whose season came
to an end. That's next on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (20:28):
Saftweightwood Mac. When I was in high school, nice what
they were playing with?

Speaker 2 (20:32):
You knew who they were?

Speaker 5 (20:33):
Stop.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
They were playing with the USC Marching band at the
time too.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
I thought, are you sure?

Speaker 4 (20:40):
Positive? But it was just like that.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
I thought that wasn't note else's story that I heard.
I thought that was Mac. No, no, no, I knew
it was Fleetwood Mac. But I thought, I'm wondering if
this stolen valor. I thought like someone else had gone sports.
I went, okay, hey, listen, man, I understand you're you're gruppy, right,
now you're not going to the super Bowl or the playoffs, and.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
You're not going anywhere.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
But so you're not you're not allowing me to bring
a little positivity there. You're saying, No, all I.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
Have is if my Knicks weren't winning a championship, I'd
have nothing in my life.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
Now if the what the next next? Oh, you're not
gonna have anything in your life then, because.

Speaker 4 (21:17):
They're about to say, yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
I mean, you got a wife that tries to eat
healthy and cook healthy things for you. You do get a
dessert every now and then, even though what no, no
pre show snack tonight.

Speaker 4 (21:28):
No, you know, my wife screwed that up. She nah.
You see, it's all that karma.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
That's what's happening, builds up. It's like a five second
delay every single time you tried to dog somewhere exactly
what he gets.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
What happened is she bought me this coffee cake that's
more of a breakfast cake, not a dessert cake.

Speaker 4 (21:51):
So I really didn't have anything to you.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
Hold on, hold on a breakfast cake.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
Yeah you know what I'm talking about.

Speaker 4 (21:58):
I know what you mean.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
But okay, all right, I just say it. I cake
for breakfast is something I try not to do. But
you have a breakfast cake.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
Try question.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
I like I like this. I like this.

Speaker 4 (22:10):
Man.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
Chief fans are so freaking arrogant, and I would be
the same way too, Roger the Engineer, the Chiefs are
playing bad and still winning. Wait until they figure it out.
Oh shut up, Roger the Engineer, you know playing bad.
You're playing well. Other teams are good. You're three and
oh shut up. You've won three straight? Are two straight
super Bowls? You're the favorite one a third. Just wait
till we start playing well.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Shut up, you're laying well.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
Yeah, well, that's that's the thing. That's the thing. People
like that make you completely one eighty on an overall franchise.
So when we talked about teams who season may have
come to an end today, I'm not gonna lie. I'm
a little bit surprised by everything that's hitting the text line,
the tweets line line. Excuse me. On the Ravens, Pete

(22:58):
Libby writes, I'd say the raven they let a bad
Dallas offense come back from twenty eight to six. Our
buddy Josh rights panic in Baltimore. I know they won,
but they seem to really choke away leads late? Are
they one of those teams right now that's sitting where
they are at one to two where you're not necessarily
buying what they're selling.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
Could you imagine how they've blown that lead and dropped
to zero one three, what they've been saying in Baltimore
right now and riding off that team, and how we
got all that big money in the contract and all
that up there. It's still not a good situation. Very
lucky to hold on to that win. They dominated the
Cowboys for three quarters, so you know, let's give them
credit there, but I would not be feeling good if

(23:38):
I'm a Ravens fan going forward. Maybe they'll turn it around,
But them, the Cowboys, the forty nine ers. You're really
scratching your head and figuring out who had these teams
at one and two.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
It's crazy, mister nobody right Your surprise that Dennis Allen
and Derek Carr spit the bit there are two people
who didn't improve after leaving the Raiders. Well, I mean,
Dennis Allen did coordinate a defense and played in AFC
our NFC championship games, so I would disagree that things
didn't improve for him. Now, as a head coach. He struggled,

(24:09):
and I just listened New Orleans. It's not bad. That's
still a really good football team. Baltimore, Baltimore listening to me.
Philadelphia did a good job of just shutting down the
run on him today, and Kubiak kind of had a
bad day call in plays. They lost their center early
in that game and that kind of effected everything they're
doing offensively. So I'm not ready to suddenly bury the Saints.

(24:32):
In fact, I think they're gonna beat Atlanta next week
and they're gonna be three and one, sitting pretty in
that division. But we shall see. Eric writes, why haven't
your Dolphins gone after Tannehill yet? Isn't that one of
your boys? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (24:45):
You know, of course, he was the quarterback for a
while out there before they decided to go in a
different direction. I'm not sure at this point I'm willing
to take him. He's like the I don't know, the
next best off. I just don't like what we have
on the team. I'm okay, be humbly getting a chance.

Speaker 4 (25:01):
Boyle. We're I mean, I've seen that guy before.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 4 (25:06):
Yeah, we had what was his name, Tim Boyle? That
came in.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
Wasn't that a Woody Harrelson character and white Man Can't
Jump or something like that. Seriously, I think that was
his name or something like that.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
I just I love how you can't equate it to
any of his high school or college success, but you
want to bring it to the movie white Men Can't Jump.

Speaker 4 (25:27):
I think that was I think that was.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
Yeah, I think that was Woody Harrison's name, like Billy Hoyle,
the same thing.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
I mean, well, Boyle and Billy Hoyle are significant.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
If I told you Billy Hoyle was coming to the game,
you'd have no idea. You'd say, Okay, let's see what
he could do. I need a quarterback. I just I
can't do I can't do it anymore. I wish they
would have called Tannehill, But obviously he wants to be
the quarterback for a team for the rest of the year,
and that's probably not gonna happen because two was gonna
be coming back in about three more games.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
Do you guys want to tell him, well, let's bringing
to Saga. Maybe he can tell him Steve to Saga
with what's trending, Arnie. Two is not coming back in
about three or four games man, Come on.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
What does that mean?

Speaker 2 (26:10):
He coming back? Dude? All right, the saga's in the
house with what's trending.

Speaker 3 (26:15):
What's coming back? He'll be back.

Speaker 6 (26:16):
I thought your next sentence was going to be and
it won't matter.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
By the right, exactly exactly.

Speaker 6 (26:23):
We have a few three and oh teams so far
this season. Pittsburgh won today, Minnesota dominated today, Seattle dominated today,
and Kansas City's now three and oh after a twenty
two to seventeen win at Atlanta tonight, falcons one and
two in the last five minutes. Atlanta Tonight had two
turnovers on downs in the red zone, stopped on fourth

(26:43):
down twice. If they just kick field goals on both
of those late drives, well they lost by five.

Speaker 4 (26:50):
You can do the bath.

Speaker 6 (26:51):
Yes, this for me and Rappaport NFL Network on first
round right tackle Troy Fautano of the Steelers. He was
placed on injury reserve this past week. He reports he
has suffered what is essentially a dislocated kneecap and will
have surgery to repair the ligament damage. Foutano is out
for the regular season end.

Speaker 4 (27:12):
Quote.

Speaker 6 (27:13):
And I did notice a couple of items on the
Raiders after their home loss today. This from Associated Press
in the Bay Area. Comparing, for example, Raiders' history when
they started playing at the Oakland Coliseum decades ago, they
only lost eighteen times in their first one hundred regular
season games there. These Raiders have lost eighteen times already

(27:35):
in Vegas in thirty five games at Allegian Stadium ASTKO.
The Raiders did lose at home there thirty six twenty
two against Carolina as Andy Dalton for the winners, had
three touchdown passes in the first half. The Raiders as
a team this season still only have about one hundred
and fifty yards rushing through three games, which is the

(27:59):
worst start in that category in the history of the
Raiders and the worst start on the ground for any
NFL team in the last five years since the Dolphins
of twenty nineteen.

Speaker 3 (28:08):
Thank you for that.

Speaker 6 (28:09):
And how many runs for first downs have the Raiders
had this year? The answers won five for the season, any.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
Of them by running backs.

Speaker 6 (28:19):
I can answer that one first off. This hasn't happened
in the last twenty years in the NFL to have
only five rushing first downs total in your first three
games of a season. Zamir White specifically has run for
a first down twice. Out of thirty two carries, He's
run for a first down twice. But then there's the Bears,

(28:41):
because DeAndre Swift has more than thirty two carries and
he's run for a first down once. The Chicago offense
was on display for much of the day. They eventually
lost twenty one to sixteen at Indianapolis. Caleb Williams did
wind up passing for three hundred and sixty three yards
too late touchdowns. He also was sacked four times and
had three turnovers. Speaking of sacks, will Levis against the

(29:05):
Packers eight sacks for green Bay and the win at
Tennessee thirty fourteen, and the Giants defense sacked Deshaun Watson
eight times at Cleveland twenty one to fifteen. Giants the
final undefeated Minnesota ripped Houston thirty four to seven. Sam
Darnold four touchdown passes wins also for Pittsburgh Denver. Philadelphia

(29:28):
won fifteen twelve at New Orleans in a game the
Saints led three to nothing to start the fourth quarter.
Seattle is three and zer after ripping Miami twenty four
to three. Quarterbacks Skyler Thompson left with a chest injury.
Running back Rahem Moster was already out with a chest injury.
Baltimore held on twenty eight, twenty five at Dallas. Detroit
won twenty to thirteen at Arizona, and the Rams came

(29:50):
back to win on a field goal in the final seconds,
beating rival San Francisco twenty seven to twenty four. There
are two Monday night games. By the way, Tennessee is
up to number five in the new AP College Football Poll.
The top four stayed the same, led by number one Texas.
Then it's Georgia, Ohio State, and Alabama. The WNBA playoffs
started today. Connecticut ripped Indiana, wins for New York, Minnesota

(30:13):
and five minutes to go in Vegas, basking in the
glow of the Raiders game there. Today, the Las Vegas
Aces have taken the lead on Seattle seventy to sixty five.
You know, Asia Wilson got her MVP trophy on the
court right before the game and proceeded to go one
for eight shooty in the first half and they fell
by That does happen, But I must mention what a

(30:34):
magical day it was at Dodger Stadium. They're trailing bottom
of the ninth, five to four to Colorado. Shohe Otani
leads off and hits his fifty third home run of
the season. Johm tied next batter Mookie Betts home run
to left game over, back to back solo shots in
the ninth to win six ' five incredible. Starting Tuesday,

(30:56):
it's the Padres at the Dodgers. This is the final
week of this season. Padres got three in the bottom
of the eighth to beat the White Sox four to two.
Dodgers still three games over the Padres. The White Sox, well,
that's news. I mean, this is definitely we're in man
bites dog territory, if you know that expression. The White
Sox have lost five in a row. Their record thirty
six and one twenty.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (31:18):
Today they have tied the modern Major league record most
losses in one season. And this was a five hundred
club last year.

Speaker 3 (31:25):
Yeah, but you know what, they're not getting heat, like
heat in the right in the area, like people are
not booing them and nobody care to here.

Speaker 4 (31:33):
You suck, get out of the restaurant, go over.

Speaker 6 (31:36):
Little many people. We're looking forward to the Bears season,
which of course is unfortunately now underway for them, but
the White Sox have been swept in twenty four different
series this year, including Boy This Weekend.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Back to You, Yeah, thanks, Steve. We come to you
live from the tire rack dot Com studios. What do
you mean nobody's giving them heat? I mean, no fence.
I know one White Sox fan and it's Mike Harmon.
That's like the only White Sox fan I know. And
now suddenly everyone was one. When they went to the
Super Bowl, like under Ozzie Gehan, what was that like
a decade ago? Maybe longer, but yeah, I mean if

(32:11):
it was the Cubs or if it was like the Dodgers,
the Doyers.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
I mean maybe I went to a White Sox game
when I was doing and I was doing.

Speaker 4 (32:27):
And they're just like, get out of here. You saw
get out of here.

Speaker 3 (32:31):
It was pretty scary, man.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
That story was amazing, all right, Arnie, you got cut
off again in the middle of it, like you got
you got disconnected, like what at least three times in
the middle of it we heard and then I got it,
and then I got yelled at and they were all
yelled So what's.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
Funny, Plank is it's always at the end of our
segments the same twice on Cadence.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
Oh man. Uh, there's a couple of other quick tweets
that we need to get at Stinking Genius one at
Plank Show bill Wright Arnie. How about Joe Flacco in Miami?
Joe Milchael's got a job right now?

Speaker 4 (33:07):
People?

Speaker 2 (33:08):
You got a trade for him?

Speaker 3 (33:09):
Yeah? I just you know, I know what he did
for Cleveland last year. I guess it's better than nothing.
He'd be one of my top three that i'd be
interested in, that's for sure.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
I'm not so certain with the way things are going
right and Indy won the football game today, so this
might be a little bit unfair, but I'm I'm really
not so certain that he might not end up being
the guy at Indy when all of a sudden done
you are you impressed with what you've seen so far
from Anthony Richardson. They found a way to win the game, right,
I guess that's what matters most.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
And I would think that he's going to be the
starting quarterback and we'll see how far they're not going
to give up on him.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
If that's no, no, no, no no no. I think
he's he's gonna get the whole season. If oh, wow,
he doesn't, if he doesn't throw any more of those
interceptions like he did early in that game. But oof,
that was that. That was bad. Mister Nobody and Pete
have been on fire so far. On the tweets tonight,
mister Nobody writes, are the Steelers not as bad as

(34:05):
you thought? Their offense is mediocre, but they've got a
top tier defense. Bill Cower made the Playoffs with Steeler
teams that could stop anything, but had Cordell Stewart at
quarterback who would struggle to hit the target at a
dunk tank. I thought that first, said drunk tank. Are
we under selling the Steelers a little bit here?

Speaker 4 (34:25):
Perhaps?

Speaker 3 (34:26):
I mean, would they be three and oh with Russell Wilson?
I think not. That's I love justin fields. It's not
like he's doing it because of his numbers, but he's certainly,
you know, a big part of it. They've done it
with everything defense too. I don't know if they can
keep it up. But I'm just shocked at they're three
at all right now.

Speaker 4 (34:43):
Chris, Oh, I'm not just shocked.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
I'm absolutely floored that they're somehow three and oer right now.
I mean, you get a break, right, because that wasn't
one hundred percent justin Herbert bo Nix was terrible in
Week two, and I'll give him credit. The Falcons win
was pretty impressive, even though Atlanta played like crap in
that game three and oh's three oh. And guess what

(35:07):
they're going Indy next week probably when that game four
to oh. And then in week five Sunday Night Football, Arnie,
they get the Cowboys, So I mean that could be
a five and oh maybe they got the Raiders. That's
a win six. And I mean there's a chance that
the Steelers can keep this thing rolling. So that let
me pose another potential Dolphins quarterback to you. Would you

(35:28):
call Pittsburgh about Russell Wilson?

Speaker 3 (35:30):
No, I don't want him, though it's pretty cheap. I
guess we could just rent them out for the rest
of the year. That wouldn't take a lot. You know,
there's not a lot of financial responsibility there and it's
not wording for the long hauls, so I'd consider it.
That wouldn't be too bad, all right.

Speaker 2 (35:44):
When we come back to the Tirack dot Com studios, Yeah,
let's get into this. We talked about who might have
saved their season, a bit whose season came to an end.
But there's one team, one team who saved their season
that we haven't talked about enough yet, and we'll do
it next on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to
listen live.

Speaker 2 (36:13):
We're live at the tyrack dot com studios. De Seger's
on updates tonight. Mary Mack running the show, Patrick Swake
helping us out because he runs the show's our producer,
and what's the what's the vibe check? What's the field?
Patrick on potentially hearing from a member of the Chiefs
after their win tonight.

Speaker 4 (36:32):
I'm gonna say blank or we're looking pretty good.

Speaker 6 (36:35):
We don't have any We don't We're not imminent, but
it's warming up, it's starting to work.

Speaker 2 (36:40):
I just want to let you know there's a lot
of suitors on that team. You tell Creed Humphrey that
he needs to come on with us, all right?

Speaker 4 (36:47):
I want mahomes I want mahomes on.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
I can't hear Arnie. Can you turn them up a
little bit?

Speaker 4 (36:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (36:52):
Right, exactly what Uh, we asked for mahomes And it
was funny because when Patrick hats for mahomes, you guys,
come on, dude.

Speaker 4 (37:02):
I mean listen, you gotta ask ry. We all know this,
like of course, it's like, come on, really, but you
gotta ask it. What if the miracle happens?

Speaker 3 (37:11):
Do you know who we are, We're Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (37:14):
You should get my homes? Yeah, we should? I agree?
What if? What if the miracle happens? Guys, like, if
that happened, like we would be like jumping for joy?
Would we?

Speaker 6 (37:23):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (37:23):
I'd be like Patrick, why do you do this to me?
Why do you haunt me?

Speaker 4 (37:26):
I mean, what fair?

Speaker 2 (37:27):
Is your ankle hurt whenever you were dancing around trying
to take a knee.

Speaker 4 (37:31):
Well, I heard you may get traded to the Dolphins.
Is that true?

Speaker 2 (37:34):
Why are you so against a potential young quarterback like
for instance, uh, dazz Jet rights feel like the Dolphins
should go after Bryce Rice Young another smaller BAMMAQB could
jump in this season to see if he's worth the
damn And if he is, then if two are retires,
you have another former number one pick.

Speaker 3 (37:54):
You saw what the Caroluina offense was with Bryce Young.
Then you saw what it was like with old man
Andy Dalton. I think that speaks volumes. Now you know
exactly what Bryce Young is and that's not a starting
quarterback in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
Chris, Yeah, it's uh. And Andy Dalton's got some sort
of voodoo hecks on the Raiders. I don't know what
it is. He's never lost to him. I think he's
not five and oh maybe four and oh as a starter.
And every single time that he started against him, he's
kicked the ever loven snot out of him. He did
it once twice in Cincinnati. Once whenever he was with

(38:31):
New Orleans. I mean they destroyed him. And that was
a bad Saints team too, whenever he was in New Orleans.
And then what they did today. Listen, if you're in
a bad spot, all you got to do is play
the Raiders and suddenly your season to turn around.

Speaker 4 (38:44):
Right. I would take Jimmy G.

Speaker 3 (38:45):
Give me Jimmy G.

Speaker 4 (38:46):
I would take him.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
He got reinstated too, He just got reinstated last week.

Speaker 2 (38:50):
What from Jimmy G that you've seen the last few
years would lead you to believe that he would be
an upgrade over anything that you.

Speaker 3 (38:57):
Have because I saw the game today. So that's that's
that's pretty much the answer.

Speaker 2 (39:01):
Now we got to see if Skaler Thompson's even healthy
enough to where he can go on.

Speaker 3 (39:05):
That's okay, we got hotly member. I always did like Hunley.
I remember I said he should be the starting quarterback
over Jackson.

Speaker 2 (39:11):
Remember that change his name? Yeah, that was another one
of your hot stakes and he was cut. Yeah, I
don't know.

Speaker 3 (39:18):
I think that was a big Somebody just went with
it as a joke and everybody went on with it
and followed it.

Speaker 2 (39:25):
I don't know, is it Is it the same person?

Speaker 3 (39:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (39:28):
I say, is.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
Tyler Hunley stills the same person?

Speaker 4 (39:32):
A snoop?

Speaker 3 (39:33):
Did?

Speaker 4 (39:34):
I don't know who the hell's playing quarterback?

Speaker 3 (39:35):
Then?

Speaker 2 (39:35):
I don't kidding. I'm kidding it is. But what's what's
funny is you You did say that, and I'm defending you.
You're not alone. Tyler Huntley was a pro bowler in
twenty twenty three. Yeah, he was a pro bowler, and yeah,
so was I. I'm not kidding. I mean, I'm not
making this up from his twenty twenty two season. He

(39:58):
was a pro bowler and then and all of a
sudden he can't even make the Browns roster. You're he's
the third string quarterback for the Ravens and you grab
him off the practice squad. I mean, okay, well, but
after what you saw today, you're right. You'd probably take
just about anything. And then there is this from Blue
Forever who writes, wish I could remember which Fox Sports

(40:21):
radio personality said the Vikings would win only four games school.
I think, yeah, you probably did well. I mean, you
don't have anyone that's you don't get specific. You're like,
I see him as six and eleven, you'd be like,
they're gonna be terrible, They're only gonna win three or
four games. And I'm sure Blue Forever probably has a receiver.

Speaker 3 (40:41):
Why would people remember what I say? But they never
call you out on any of your nutty predictions. And
I don't know if I said that about Minnesota. You
gotta be a little bit more specific on which sports
personality you're talking about.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
Well, I don't consider myself the stinking genius, right. That's
like Lebron called himself king, so he kind of sets
himself up for it. You call yourself the stinking genius,
so you kind of set yourself up. I'm the first
one admit I'm going to be wrong a lot, but
it's gonna be a nuancedin research strong. You're just going
with the gut. The gut has not been good to

(41:15):
start the football seeing. All right, listen, I want to
talk about the Eagles because they're a team that I
think saved their season today. But did it end the
season for the Saints? I say no?

Speaker 4 (41:25):
What say?

Speaker 2 (41:26):
You will dive into it? Coming up next with Arnie
and Plank on Fox Sports Radio. Oh, It's our two
with Arnie Plank live from the tyrack dot com studios,
tire rack dot com. We'll help you get there and
unmatched the selection, fast, free shipping, free road hazard protection,
and over ten thousand recommended it installers tire rack dot

(41:48):
com The way tire buying should be. The Chiefs improved
to three and oh with a win over Falcons twenty
two to seventeen.

Speaker 4 (41:55):
WHOA, WHOA?

Speaker 3 (41:57):
What?

Speaker 4 (41:57):
I mean? You're right right into football?

Speaker 3 (41:59):
Right? Can I just say one thing that I know
you're not going to bring up because you're really not
much of a baseball fan.

Speaker 4 (42:04):
I just want to say what shoe Otani did?

Speaker 2 (42:07):
Okay, I just finish by two seconds.

Speaker 3 (42:10):
God, sure, go ahead, go ahead.

Speaker 2 (42:13):
Chiefs when we could be moments away from hearing from
a member of the Chiefs. So thanks, but go.

Speaker 4 (42:19):
Ahead on you Mahomes maybe Mahomes.

Speaker 2 (42:21):
Maybe Mahomes.

Speaker 3 (42:22):
That'd be nice if you guys did me that favor
and gott me Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 2 (42:27):
All right, now, go off and bore everyone to death
with baseball talk.

Speaker 3 (42:30):
Wow, I was not okay to talk baseball? Is it
still because your show man? We're just along my ride.
I didn't know if that's what you know, people cared
about it or if we're making too much about it.
And and I know Rob Parker said it was no
big thing, but I.

Speaker 2 (42:45):
Was Rob Parker said, fifty to fifty is no big thing.

Speaker 3 (42:48):
No he didn't, Yeah he did actually called someone said
he called it frougaisy. How I didn't hear the red
Somebody said about the bases and that he's a DH
full time and that's.

Speaker 2 (43:00):
I mean, I understand if you want to fight that
he's not a position player, but.

Speaker 4 (43:03):
Yeah, this is.

Speaker 3 (43:05):
But he but what he did in that one game,
six for six, that was that was just incredible too.
That runs, Yeah, that was insane. I've never seen anything
like that. They were trying to fit with ten. RBIs
trying to figure out if there was a better one
game performance in sports history, forget about just baseball, and
I'm thinking maybe Wilt Chamberlain one hundred points. But that

(43:27):
was wow. And he's got a noodle arm too. You know,
the guy's got surgery. He can't throw it, and look
what he's doing. You would think that would affect him
a little bit, Chris, that he's got a noodle arm,
But wow, that that was just crazy. That's unbelieving. And
they and the Angels can't make the playoffs with this guy.

Speaker 4 (43:45):
Just incredible.

Speaker 2 (43:46):
Yeah, and my child was there with him. Yeah, it's
gonna make it even more frustrating, but yeah, pretty awesome.
I Mean, the Dodgers' magic number is now four. Looks
like everything's kind of decided on the divisional side. So yeah,
I'm I love watching. This is why I start pay attention,
like I've been watching baseball all year. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
I hope that staff holds in there. Look if the
Tigers are something to keep an eye on and pretend

(44:07):
like I wasn't absolutely watching nothing but college in the
NFL Over the last forty eight hours. I mean there's
people that actually have sat down and watched one hundred
and fifty six games of base.

Speaker 4 (44:17):
No, no, absolutely there is.

Speaker 2 (44:20):
There is in the case of the Guardians, right now,
one hundred and fifty seven games of baseball. But it
looks like most of the divisions are finalized right now.
The Brewers have already clinched the cinch.

Speaker 4 (44:31):
Or what am I doing? No one cares about this, Yeah,
nobody cares. There's no rais is going on.

Speaker 3 (44:35):
So there.

Speaker 2 (44:35):
Well, the Dodgers, I mean, they're the closest one right now.
It's only a three game lead, and they have the
Padres coming up. Astro's lead is only five, but they're
about to clinch anyway. So anything else on baseball to
umplode our football talk.

Speaker 4 (44:48):
No, I'm sorry, I apologized.

Speaker 2 (44:50):
You didn't even have it on a roman numeral or
I actually I did roman numeral number twelve.

Speaker 6 (44:55):
Guys, just to explain the Rob Parker thing, since unfortunately
I was here for that rant. Oh, because you're right, Arnie,
it was one of the great days in baseball history.
But of course that has to be the topic of
the show. Fortunately he has a co host that does
push back. It's the new odd couple. By the way,
they've had one week in the books, very much enjoyed it.
But Rice, as far as the base is being like

(45:15):
two inches larger on each side, he thinks that that
makes this not a big deal, to which I said, Okay, So,
how many other people have fifty stolen bases this year?

Speaker 3 (45:26):
Right right?

Speaker 6 (45:27):
The answer is one out of all the hundreds of players.
Shoho Tani second in the majors in steals, not just
second in home runs.

Speaker 4 (45:35):
It doesn't help, but home runs though, that doesn't make
it exactly.

Speaker 6 (45:38):
So all the guys that have had fifty homer seasons
over the years, nobody even had twenty five stolen bases.
So can we at least give some credit?

Speaker 2 (45:47):
Okay, So I have a question then on that Arnie
you mentioned how the bosses are always mad at you
because you're supposed to be the stinking genius and all
we screw up your picks. Do people get calls whenever
they have bad takes? Does does Scott it be like, dude,
what are you doing? This is like a really this
is done, Mark, This is a really bad take.

Speaker 6 (46:05):
If Wow, if Artie were on five days a week
five days of bad tags then. Yeah, and as far
as maybe the best individual day you remember this week,
the Dodger home run record for a season that he
broke was belonged to Sean Green from about twenty years ago.
Sean Green had one game where he was six for

(46:25):
six with four homers and six run scores. Wow, but
it wasn't televised from Milwaukee.

Speaker 4 (46:31):
That's crazy. I didn't know that about sewn. That's in
the ancient days too.

Speaker 2 (46:35):
I was gonna tell you it's so long ago. You know,
it was only twenty years ago when not every single
sporting even in the world was on TV.

Speaker 6 (46:42):
Unbelievable that starting Tuesday, it's Padres at Dodgers were in
the final week of the season.

Speaker 2 (46:47):
Am I crazy?

Speaker 4 (46:49):
Arnie?

Speaker 2 (46:49):
If I think that the Eagles saved their season today?
National Football League Week three? Whose season came to an end?
Who saved their season? I don't think that they were
going to suddenly be rible and implode and be like
a one in sixteen football team. But it's a fairly
challenging schedule, right They weren't necessarily world beaters, and losing

(47:12):
to the Falcons last week, it was a tight game
but had they lost today with the risks that Nick
Sirianni took right a couple of fourth down plays, they
ran that stupid end round on fourth down too, that
Jets sweep. But knowing that Tampa Bay was looming next week,
now that looks a little different. I don't know how
different the Giants truly are. If the Browns are just bad,

(47:33):
they've got a trip to Cincinnati coming up, I don't know.
I really felt like that was a big moment for
Philly today. Am I making too much of it? Were
they gonna be following?

Speaker 6 (47:41):
Well?

Speaker 4 (47:41):
No, No, it is a big deal.

Speaker 3 (47:43):
One thing is I think people wouldn't have written off
the year had they lost, because it was the Saints
and it was on the road, and the Saints looks
so good in the first two games.

Speaker 4 (47:53):
You know, people stood up and said, what's going on here?

Speaker 3 (47:55):
They're the most prolific offense right now in the NFL,
even it's just two weeks.

Speaker 4 (48:01):
Sirianni, is this guy a good coach or not? You should?

Speaker 3 (48:05):
You could make a Mike Goodness read Twitter about this guy? Yeah,
and it just as crazy how he just explodses and
Jalen Hurts. If I don't read like about fifty sixty
percent of Philly fans want this guy. Gone like sending
them out to Miami if you don't want him, because
we could certainly use them. I never understood the hate

(48:25):
for Jalen Hurts. That's crazy.

Speaker 2 (48:27):
Well, and I've been pretty upfront. I didn't think that
he was going to be an NFL quarterback. I thought
he was going to be a guy that they would
have like Taysom Hill packages for, and maybe he'd be
a good backup. But I mean, he's he's got a
Super Bowl, he's damn MVP candidate. He's pretty special. So uh,
he's ended up being infinitely better than I thought he
would ever be. But man, he he made some big mistakes,

(48:50):
had the fumble, had the interception in the end zone
in the red zone again, playing without AJ Brown, which
hurts quite a bit, and Avontae Smith got hurt today
too much.

Speaker 3 (48:59):
All that was.

Speaker 2 (49:00):
Yeah, it was a really really late whistle. But yet
they're riding Saquon Barkley. Oh and he looks good.

Speaker 3 (49:05):
They got a real running back now, you know, finally
Sakuon Barkley's free to go ahead and be the running back.

Speaker 4 (49:10):
We thought he could be since he's out of New York?
Does that?

Speaker 2 (49:13):
Does that CHAPPI a little bit? As you got a
little bit of giants blood in you? I mean, does that?

Speaker 4 (49:18):
Does it hurt to see him doing this in Philly?

Speaker 3 (49:20):
You didn't think that was gonna happen. I knew that
was gonna happen. You saw that a mile away once
he got away from New York.

Speaker 2 (49:25):
Well, I mean, I I don't know. I never know
with running backs anymore. I thought Le'dyon Bell was gonna
be incredible with the New York Jets and it never happened.
But I will say I'm not ready to bury the
Saints because the loss. I think they're gonna be okay,
And I'm definitely I'm I'm I'm not ready to by
by any stretch of the imagination, suddenly say that the

(49:47):
Eagles are gonna make a run. I thought that they
were gonna win the division to begin with, right, So
I guess that's a little bit And maybe I'm contradicting
myself a bit, But I just think, knowing how last
year ended, if they hadn't come back and won that
game today like they did, I think it could have
been a really rough stretch for Philadelphia.

Speaker 3 (50:04):
Especially with the two injuries that they had that you
just mentioned. Yeah, and then they're like, oh my goodness,
what are we gonna do? How long are those guys
going to be out? Who's next up on the schedule
or one and two? Though, I don't think anybody's gonna
run away with that, considering the Cowboys or one and
two also, and you know the Giants or Washington are
not going to run away with it.

Speaker 2 (50:22):
By the way, I'm watching the essential, I guess you
could say game winning play for Philadelphia, that big pass
to Dallas Goddard that put them with.

Speaker 4 (50:30):
One razy game.

Speaker 2 (50:31):
Did you see the two Saints defenders into each other?

Speaker 3 (50:36):
I was wondering, I go with this, is somebody guarding
that guy or nobody's playing that? Are they playing a zona?
Nobody wants to guard the right side? I guess is
what I happened.

Speaker 2 (50:44):
And I think if I think Derek Carr should have
eaten that last one, right, it was a bad pass,
that was a bad interception. But give the Philadelphia Eagles credit.
That's a really, really good defense team we haven't talked
about yet. All right, and again, shady On, we're saving
your Titans. We won't talk about your oh and three
Titans today, but now back to back weeks, the Packers

(51:06):
have had to go with a backup quarterback, a guy
that was pretty much dropped, and he hasn't necessarily played
all that terrible. Now the Colts will see what they are. Sorry,
Toby Rowland, but I don't know how great they are
beating them sixteen to ten. But I mean, they put
one on the Tennessee Titans today in Nashville, and Malik Willis,
he looks serviceable already. He looks like a guy you

(51:29):
couldn't use in Miami, right.

Speaker 3 (51:30):
You know, I was just about to say, that's all
you really want in a backup quarterback. And I've said
this before you to you Chris the day, especially when
we go to eighteen game schedules, the days of your
starting quarterbacks starting all eighteen games, they're gonna be gong gone.

Speaker 4 (51:43):
You're gonna have to maybe you're gonna have.

Speaker 3 (51:45):
To go with maybe a fifteen to three, sixteen to two.

Speaker 2 (51:50):
Oh you think that you think that you might actually
have like a quarterback that'll start a certain number of
games for.

Speaker 3 (51:55):
You, especially if it's like you've got to play a
Thursday game after a Sunday game anymore. Maybe it's a
team that's not you know, has a lot of injuries
or not a good team, and you want to go
with a backup quarterback, and maybe your other starting quarterback
has banged.

Speaker 4 (52:09):
Up a little bit.

Speaker 3 (52:09):
You'd love to give him the night off, you know,
like load management. Maybe here's your chance, because you're gonna
have to do that. You're gonna have to have a
backup quarterback that's gonna give you one to two starts
and be able to go ahead and get you through
a little bit of that home. The days of the
starting quarterback going eighteen that's not gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (52:26):
Anymore with I don't know. I don't know if I
can get on board with that. I think I disagree
with that you only get eighteen games. Even if that's
gonna be the case, you're gonna want your best quarterback
out there. I don't think you're gonna have a guy
who's like, oh, we're giving him a night off. But
wouldn't it be hilarious if the NFL does expand. When
it does expand eighteen games, that suddenly load management becomes
a thing. That'd be absolutely hilarious.

Speaker 3 (52:47):
I want to see how many quarterbacks start every game
for their team this year. We'll see what happens because
of injuries and stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (52:54):
Well, last year you had sixty different quarterbacks start a
game in the NFL. So I mean you're and again fairness,
we talk about load management. What is week seventeen or
game seventeen become. If you've clinched, you don't play your starter, right,
So but I also would add I just I can't imagine, oh, week,
we're gonna give him a day off because we're six

(53:16):
and one right now.

Speaker 4 (53:16):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (53:17):
It's gonna be fascinating when we can.

Speaker 3 (53:19):
Says, hey, you played Sunday. Your quarterbacks a little banged up.
He took a shot at the end of the game.
You're playing on Thursday, it's a short work week, you're
playing a team that's like one in seven, and they've
got some injuries that maybe you do something like that.
I don't know, just the thought.

Speaker 2 (53:35):
The Minnesota Vikings have been fun. We haven't touched on
them too terribly much tonight, not only in the fact
that they've played the last two games at home, but
in the style they with which they've won their games.
They've been fairly dominant. They smoked the Houston Texans today.
That's a big one next weekend in Green Bay. But
how much stock right now are you buying in Minnesota?

(53:56):
Because I really I like the way that Sam Darnold
looks right now.

Speaker 3 (54:00):
You know what I was going to get to, Sam Donald,
But I want to tell you I'm buying tons of
stock in this Minnesota team, not only because of Sam Donald,
but because of what they did defensively against the Texans,
who was a very good offensive team, and they just
bottle them up, they shut them down. They let them
get seven points. This is a team that should have
put up like thirty five points. They look so good

(54:21):
offensively and they were just stuck in the mud. Minnesota
did a great job defensively. And then of course, yeah,
you love what Sam Donald's do. When you talk about
resurrecting your career means everything we thought he was gonna
be when he came out of college and just taking
what six seven years to go ahead and get to
that point.

Speaker 4 (54:39):
But Minnesota is freal. There's no doubt about that.

Speaker 2 (54:42):
All right. If I were to say one more quickly
and then we're breaking Todd Furman's going to join us.
I'm trying to go through this quickly because there's a
lot of one and two teams. Your Dolphins are there,
the Ravens and the Cowboys are there, the Niners are there.
Now Arizona looks really good at one and two. The
Falcons are one and two. But if I were to
tell you I think the Rams are the best one
to two team in the NFL, would you buy that?

Speaker 3 (55:03):
I don't know. They're very close to being oh and three.
Matter of fact, that shit took a mirror cold to
do that. Plus look at the injuries they have, especially
a wide receiver. You know, I mean one of those
guys gonna come back one what Puka Naku is going
to be there.

Speaker 4 (55:19):
For three more games?

Speaker 3 (55:21):
Or is it two more games? I'm not even sure
on him, so.

Speaker 2 (55:24):
I think it's three more games.

Speaker 3 (55:26):
Wow, it's I mean, it's just been depleted. Thos their
two big stars and they're gonna be gone for total
four games each. So they'll have to survive getting by
those guys.

Speaker 2 (55:37):
All right, So keep them coming, You're hot. Takes from
the day that was Week three in the NFL that
concludes with a Chiefs win tonight on Sunday Night Football
to improve to three and zero on the season. Kansas
City beats Atlanta twenty two to seventeen. All right, wild
weekend of college football. To recap two Monday night football
games to preview. That's Ernie Spaniel. I'm Chris playing Todd
Ferham and joins us next from the tiraq dot com

(55:59):
studios Fox Sports Radio. All right, it's already in playing company.
You alive for the tyrack dot Com studios and every
Sunday night we're blessed to be joined by our buddy
Todd Furman to Bet the Board podcast at Todd Furman
on Twitter. So Todd yesterday early, Well, I guess going
back to Friday Friday Night, it was all underdogs in
college football. And it looks like in the world of

(56:21):
the NFL today, we didn't quite get the underdog love
that we typically have got, did we? How the books
do today?

Speaker 7 (56:27):
You get some of the underdogs to come home safely.
You get the Cleveland Browns to pull off the upset
against the New York Giants. You get the Denver Broncos
to pull off the upset against Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The
forty nine ers go down is more than a touchdown favorite.
So I haven't seen the tallies yet, but I have
to imagine this will continue a trend where books reported
some of their top earning days in the NFL from
week to one and week two. And anytime that there's
parody and you get an underdog that went out right

(56:48):
to blow up some of the moneyline parlays and cheese
reliability that's out there, there's no doubt it's a good
day for the house. Although the result tonight, other than
the game coming in under the total, they would have
much preferred Atlanta finding a way to get into the
end zone. We're at least covering with two cracks inside
the green zone in the final six minutes of that content.

Speaker 3 (57:04):
You know, Tod, I'm wondering the professional gamblers are are
are they having a tough goal about it see three
weeks or are they just crushing it so far?

Speaker 7 (57:12):
This year every bettery's going to be a little bit different.
But typically when you have this level of parody, professionals
to gravitate more towards underdogs. So when you don't see,
you know, the pre eminent favorites going out there winning
and covering with relative ease. You're looking for some of
the situational spots and teames like Carolina beating the Raiders outright,
you know, when a number that got beat down as
soon as Andy Dalton was announced as a starting quarterback.

(57:33):
Looking for overreactions in the market like we saw with
Philadelphia and New Orleans where the Saints given their hot start,
or two and a half point favorite of far Craft
FM where that number would have been you know, typically
work out well for some of the professional betters that
are trying to gain a little bit of a leg up,
but tough to make blanket generalizations in terms of the
sides they may or may not have been on this week.

Speaker 2 (57:51):
You know, I don't want to get two carried away
and this is a knee jerk show, but I mean
it's out of theous. Sam Darnold's leading the Vikings to
the Super Bowl, right, How wild is it to see
this in Minnesota? Everyone was down with McCarthy injury, but
they ploy so far. They found a way to make
it work, haven't they.

Speaker 7 (58:07):
I think it's a credit to coaching, and it often
gets overlooked in the NFL because people think it's all
about some of the players in that high end talent.
But what Minnesota has up there is arguably the most
underrated coaching staff in the entire league. Brian Floyd is
getting more out of this defense that puts CJ. Stroud's
brain into a pickle at a pretzel all day to
day that he looked ill equipped to do anything to
try and counteract that. And on the offensive side, we

(58:29):
saw what Kevin O'Connell could do in fits and spurts
with Nick Mullens could get him to move the ball
between the twenties, but it was Molan's decision making that
eroded some of the progress. Sam Darnold is still a
quarterback that's younger than Joe Burrow, so to say that
he's a little bit washed up, Look, you have to
give the guy credit for having gone through the New
York Jets organization. The Carolina Panthers spent an year with
Kyle Shanahan learning the forty nine ers offense and is

(58:51):
reaping the benefits with somebody from that Shanahan McVeagh coaching
tree in Kevin O'Connell.

Speaker 3 (58:56):
To just a quick thing on College Michigan, the over
under you uards passing for Michigan what's it going to
be fifty yards this week?

Speaker 7 (59:06):
I mean, look, the over runner for alex Orgy last
week going into the USC game was one twenty three
and a half and Michigan didn't even need that when
you consider that they were able to run the football
and I'm sure USC is going to rue a third
and one play that turned into an explosive and allowed
Michigan to ultimately find a way across the finish line.
But you look at the way that Minnesota defended, or

(59:27):
I shouldn't say didn't defend the ground game for Iowa
on Saturday night, if that's any indication, and the Hawkeyes
were able to roll up two hundred and seventy two
yards rushing with Kate McNamara throwing for sixty two yards.
You can only imagine that Michigan will be able to
rack up three hundred yards or so if the offensive
line continues in the right direction and they can create
short fields against the Minnesota offense that really lacks playmakers

(59:49):
outside of Darius Taylor Todd.

Speaker 2 (59:50):
You know, so many times I want to ask and
just talk NonStop about college football, but I'm hesitant, not
going to be hesitant here. That was a rough one
for the Sooners. Now they're going to make a shift quarterback.
It looks like going forward, how concerns should I be?
Because I felt like the defense for Oklahoma it was
pretty damn impressive against Tennessee on Saturday night.

Speaker 7 (01:00:09):
Defense was tremendous. It gave them a puncher's chance to
come away with a victory. And when you look at
the way that number move, there was a lot of
professional support on Oklahoma with that number getting as high
as seven and a half during the week, closing more
in that five and a half range. But I think
when you talk about this Oklahoma offense that I know
you've seen up close and personal playing, it's going to
be about winning low scoring games against SEC caliber defenses

(01:00:31):
because Oklahoma can't go out there and outscore their opponents
the same way we've grown accustomed to in previous years.
And when you look at Oklahoma, you know it's a
shame that they've had great offenses with defenses that left
a little bit to be desired. But this looks to
be a very good upperational on defense with an offense
that just is going to have problems protecting whatever quarterback
they put under center. And you look at the rushing

(01:00:52):
yards right now. I mean eighty carries between Jackson Arnold
and Javonte Barnes, neither of them averaging over three and
a half yards per carry. And you wonder where some
of the big playability will come from as early as
this week when they go on the road against the
desperate Auburn side that heaps of problems in their own
right and quarterbacks to treat the football like a handarnade.

Speaker 4 (01:01:12):
It's Slamborghini Saturday.

Speaker 3 (01:01:14):
I don't know if you're aware of this, my Arizona
Wildcats underdog my twelve and a half points. Obviously, I
don't know what you guys are smoking out there, three
and a half four to one on odds. So if
you're putting out a million dollars, when they win, you
get back four million todds, you go buy your Lamborghini.
That's not bad, not bad at all, my friend. I

(01:01:34):
love them this weekend.

Speaker 7 (01:01:36):
I mean they've had fifteen days to lick their wounds
from a thirty one to seven defeata in Manhattan two
fridays ago against Kansas State. This is one of the
more difficult venues in all of college football to go into,
especially at night against the Utah team that well, we're
not sure who's going to be under center. The one
thing we saw over the weekend was the defense rebounded
quite nicely after they gave up some explosives to Utah State.

(01:01:57):
But I do think Arizona has a little bit more
in the vertical passing, and Noah Fafida can offer Arizona
an ability that Alan Bowman quite frankly couldn't do in
the first half before he was pulled in favor of
Garrett Rangel. You look at the Wildcats, though, I worry
about this team defensively and if it's Cam Rising or
Isaac Wilson, just not sure that Arizona has a physicality

(01:02:17):
and either line of scrimmage to go into rice ecles
and pull off the al Right, upset.

Speaker 4 (01:02:20):
Oh, don't worry about it. We do, we do?

Speaker 2 (01:02:22):
My friend, go ahead, Chris, I'm yeah, yeah, listen, Let's
just talk about the greatness of Arizona and ignore this
George Alabama match. Oh yeah, before we look back on
the NFL. This will be the first time with fans
in the stands since twenty fifteen that George and Alabama
have played on campus. They played in Athens back in

(01:02:44):
twenty twenty, but of course that was daring our excuse
me a Tuscaloosa back in twenty twenty, but we didn't
have full stands. It's what it's all about, right, I mean,
it's going to be a great potential matchup. You got
a feel out. Are you just starting your prep and
research into the Bama bulldog matchup Arkey matchup?

Speaker 7 (01:03:01):
And I think you know whether he'll admit it publicly
or not. Kirby Smart had to love the fact that
Georgia was able to escape by the slimmest of margins
against Kentucky. You have two weeks to get the boys
refocused and makes them realize that, hey, look, Alabama is
the reason that you didn't get a seat at the
college football playoff table a season ago, and now we
have a chance to go in and spoil the party
on the road. First real big test for Kaitlin de

(01:03:22):
Bora as the bench boss for the Crimson Tide. You
look at Alabama offensively, and while they've been able to
hit the explosives in games against South Florida and Wisconsin,
the down to down efficiency leaves a little bit to
be desired. And I'm not sure George is going to
allow them to throw some of those deep balls over
the top. But at the same time, look at this
Georgia offense that suddenly doesn't have playmakers that they're able

(01:03:42):
to create some of those big plays. Although the one
thing I will say for the Bulldogs they're winning against
Clemson looks better and better by the week. No doubt
the Marquee matchup, and I think there's a good chance
the defense can dominate the day if Kirby Smart has
his say in this contest.

Speaker 3 (01:03:55):
Todd and I think I know the answer to this.
But after watching all the games, who do you want
to go run out and bet in the NFL next weekend?
It's got to be against Miami. They just looked horrible
against Seattle horrible.

Speaker 7 (01:04:07):
I mean, look, all right, anything you've seen from the
Tennessee Titans have you bringing with confidence that you want
to run to bet Tennessee as a road favorite down
there in South Florida. I think both of those franchises
are interesting right now because when you look at Tennessee,
would they consider making a change of quarterback going from
Will Levis to Mason Rudolph, who we know may not
offer the same ceiling but definitely has a higher floor.

(01:04:28):
And for the Miami Dolphins, will it be Skyler Thompson,
will it be Tim Boyle or could we see the
debut of Tyler Huntley if the Dolphins kind of want
to tweak their offensive approach. So Nope, that's not a
game that I'd be running to get involved with eight
days in advance. But I think when you look at
the board, the most fascinating matchup will be Minnesota in
Green Bay if all signs point to Jordan Love returning.
Although Malik Willis did a tremendous job in release not

(01:04:50):
only last week against the Colts, but what he did
in the revenge game today against the Titans. But that
Philadelphia Tampa game also intrigues me some. This is an
Eagles team that's been extremely banged up. You know, Devontae'
at Lane Johnson go into concussion protocol, We're not sure
about the availability of aj Brown, and Tampa laid the
ultimate egg today against Denver. You have to imagine that
Todd Bowles and his staff will have that team fully

(01:05:10):
entrenched and engaged, knowing that Philadelphia may be out for revenge.
Given the fact that Tampa ended their season. Last year
in the first round of the playoffs, we.

Speaker 2 (01:05:17):
Had the Jeff Saturday game, Todd, But is this today,
with the turmoil that Carolina seems to be in, is
this I mean the worst? Is this the most embarrassing
moment for the Raiders in Vegas or what I mean?

Speaker 7 (01:05:29):
They just didn't look prepared to play. And it's the
unfortunate pitfalls of a coach that I know we had
reservations about in Antonio Pierce. He had some stern words
for some of his players about them making business decisions
during the course of the game. But you know Carolina
was going to get a boost with Andy Dalton, a
veteran under center. Should they The Raiders have given up
thirty six points in this game, and you know, basically

(01:05:50):
look non competitive for the better part of three and
a half quarters. Not exactly a ringing endorsement, But they
do have a chance to come away next Sunday with
a victory against a Cleveland team who could be without
their leading pass rusher as Miles Garrett'll have an MRI
for his lower body, Deshaun Watson putting up historically bad
numbers even by Cleveland Brown standards. You can go back
to the turn of the century in two thousand and

(01:06:11):
from an expected points added at an offensive efficiency standpoint, gentlemen,
we haven't seen a Brown's offense this bad in the
last nearly twenty five years Keith's volumes, given the carousel
that they've had at the starting quarterback position. So you
do wonder when this Deshaun Watson experiment may be over
for the Browns, sooner potentially rather than later, as Jameis

(01:06:31):
Winston could give them a little bit more upside.

Speaker 3 (01:06:33):
Well, last thing time for me, you know, with the
Ravens one and two, Dallas one and two, San Francisco
one and two, if you liked them at the beginning
of the year to win the Super Bowl, do you
get extra good odds now after three weeks or as
it will be changed that much.

Speaker 7 (01:06:47):
Well for me, the Cowboys and forty nine Ers coming
into the year where both teams I was looking to sell.
So I'm thrilled from a win total perspective that both
are one and two out of the gates, especially when
you consider how the forty nine Ers were able to
snatch defeat from the jaws of victory with a double
digit lead against the Rams and as far as the Ravens,
while they may be looking up at the Pittsburgh Steelers
in the division, I don't think there's any cause for

(01:07:07):
concern other than this team's inability to slam the door
shut almost relinquishing. You know, a twenty eight to six
lead in the game today. But this is a Ravens
offense that is number one in the league in total offense,
and it's extremely rare to see a team have a
one to two record like that. So I think better
times ahead for the Ravens. John Harbaugh just has to
figure out why this team can't protect leads late in

(01:07:27):
the fourth quarter and have comfortable wins instead of letting
every opponent back in the game regardless of the margin
that they have going into the fourth.

Speaker 2 (01:07:34):
You're the man, Todd Firm, and have a great week, buddy.
We'll talk to you next Sunday night.

Speaker 7 (01:07:37):
Always a pleasure, gentlemen, Arnie. At least we'll have a
little bit more clarity on the Dolphins quarterback situation.

Speaker 3 (01:07:42):
With chat next week.

Speaker 7 (01:07:43):
I'm still not optimistic that it's going to do much
to change the fate of your beloved defends.

Speaker 3 (01:07:48):
Yeah, it's over for my Dolphins.

Speaker 4 (01:07:49):
Todd, I have to say that, Hey, I go sport Todd.

Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
Subscribe to the bet to Board podcast, follow him on
Twitter at Todd Firm, and say loo to the third
member of our curlyus, Steve de Seger, who has so
what's trending? What's going on?

Speaker 4 (01:08:01):
Steve?

Speaker 6 (01:08:02):
He talked about the injury to defensive end Miles Garrett
for Cleveland. I had read this past week. He had
the same foot injury in each foot going into this
game and then aggravated the foot injury Cleveland. If you
saw the start of the game, the Giants fumbled the
opening kickoff and Cleveland threw a touchdown pass the next play,
and they had then one other first down the entire

(01:08:23):
rest of the first quarter and Cleveland lost at home
twenty one to fifteen to the Giants. Malik Neighbors two
short touchdown receptions from Daniel Jones. Late first half sacks
were the story of the day at a lot of
these games. Giants defense sacked to Shaun Watson eight times.
Green Bays defense eight sacks against will Levis. In a
win at Tennessee thirty to fourteen. Quarterback Malik Willis six

(01:08:45):
carries seventy three yards two total touchdowns as Jordan Love
was out again with the sprained mcl Titans are zero
to three. Will Levis did have two touchdown passes, but
three turnovers as well, and the Titans as a team
eleven carries just thirty three yard It's rushing now to
the Chiefs who are three and zero. Got a close win,
I should say another close win tonight. The final was

(01:09:06):
twenty two to seventeen at Atlanta, getting two fourth down
stops on the last two Atlanta drives in the last
five minutes. Tonight, Rashi Rice of Case twelve receptions, one
hundred and ten yards and a touchdown. The Kansas City Chiefs,
going back to the playoffs last year, have won six
straight games, all by seven points or less. The record

(01:09:27):
is seven straight games all by seven points or less,
which the Chiefs did in twenty twenty. Now, the next
game's at the Chargers. I don't know if that will
even be a close game, but we got a little
history on the line. In fact, Stat's inc. Went back
and leave it a little further. Just the close margins
that the Chiefs have won their last nine, and if
you total up the margin of victory, it's still just

(01:09:48):
fifty four points total in these last nine games, which
is the smallest combined margin of victory by any team
during a nine to zero stretch in the history of
the NFL. Just keep finding a way to win. The
Rams came back and beat rival San Francisco on a
field goal in the final seconds twenty seven twenty four.
The Rams with thirteen straight points in the last six

(01:10:11):
and a half minutes to take it. AP points out
that we've had NFL football at Sofi Stadium in LA
for now five seasons. Only two coaches have gone in
there as visitors and blown double digit fourth quarter leads.
Josh McDaniels for the Raiders a couple of years ago,
but Kyle Shanahan did today, and Kyle Shanahan did it
against the Rams in the NFC Championship game in recent years,

(01:10:34):
and remember his forty nine Ers had a double digit
fourth quarter Super Bowl lead super Bowl fifty four against
the Chiefs and lost that as well. Three to zero
record for the Vikings after the home win over Houston
thirty four to seven, Sam Darnold with four touchdown passes.
He left briefly with a knee injury. But speaking of sacks,
as I was earlier. The Vikings this season keep totaling

(01:10:55):
them the opener five sacks last week, six sacks today
for the vice Kings, five more sacks. They're just the
third team since nineteen ninety with at least five sacks
in each of their first three games of a season,
and no team's done that in the last twenty years.
That kind of start. Three to zero record for Pittsburgh.
They got ten points in the fourth quarter and beat
the Chargers twenty to ten. Three and oh. Quarterback is

(01:11:17):
Justin Fields with the Steelers.

Speaker 2 (01:11:19):
He had a.

Speaker 6 (01:11:20):
Touchdown, run, touchdown pass, one interception. Pittsburgh' d with five sacks,
and quarterback Justin Herbert of the Chargers left in the
second half aggravating an ankle injury. He is in a
walking boot. Linebacker Joey Bosa left with a hip injury.
The Charger offense today ten drives, just ten first downs.
Wins for the Colts and the Broncos Philadelphia fifteen to

(01:11:42):
twelve winners at New Orleans, wins for Carolina and Baltimore.
Seattle's three and oh after beating up Miami twenty four
to three, and Detroit got a twenty to thirteen win
at Arizona, Tennessee is up to number five in the
new AP College Football Poll. The late night WNBA playoff
opener went to Las Vegas coming back to beat Seattle
seventy eight sixty seven. One week left in the Major

(01:12:06):
League Baseball season, Mets in Atlanta each one. It'll be
the Mets at Atlanta starting Tuesday.

Speaker 4 (01:12:12):
Bra Let's go.

Speaker 6 (01:12:13):
Bray's still two games out of the last DYL wild
card spot.

Speaker 4 (01:12:16):
Back to you.

Speaker 2 (01:12:17):
Oh by the way, Arnie, it's on Twitter, so that
means that it's real.

Speaker 4 (01:12:21):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:12:22):
Paul Piercy, who doesn't have a profile pick on his
Twitter account but does have the shadowy figure, says per sources,
Colin Kaepernick is flying to work out from Miami tomorrow.
There you go. I mean true, that's not real. That's
not real.

Speaker 6 (01:12:39):
What about George Blanda? Can you get Blanda is there?

Speaker 4 (01:12:44):
If?

Speaker 2 (01:12:44):
Are you rooting that? All of a sudden you hear
someone say, you know, Andrew Luck's been staying in shape.

Speaker 3 (01:12:49):
I was just thinking about that, and you know, ey,
you know, he like to come in and play.

Speaker 2 (01:12:57):
Can I can I just say something speaking of its.

Speaker 3 (01:13:00):
Up for playing. But that's beside the point.

Speaker 2 (01:13:02):
I understand that Fox Sports, our beloved friends over at
Fox Sports, spend a lot of money on Tom Brady.
I get it, I understand it.

Speaker 4 (01:13:10):
The last thing I.

Speaker 2 (01:13:11):
Ever need is a promo about who's announcing a game.
Have you noticed that they're doing this now? It's like
Tom's talking to a little kid in a forty nine
ers helme and he's.

Speaker 3 (01:13:20):
Like, I can't say that.

Speaker 2 (01:13:20):
Yeah, I've got to go back, and I'm like what,
I'm like, wait, this is a promo for him calling
the game? I mean, do we what's going on in
the field is pretty awesome, right, even though he's had
some duds of games so far. But what are we
even doing? Is that part of the investment they've made
in him where you've got to promote him?

Speaker 4 (01:13:37):
Yeah, they're paying him a lot of money.

Speaker 3 (01:13:39):
So it's all about Tommy, my friend right now. Okay,
that's the way it's got to be. Should we come
out of retirement and just playing just a couple of games,
you know, if the tool was gone for the whole year,
he'd be coming back. That's why a little shocked that
you said that two is not going to be coming
back to this.

Speaker 2 (01:13:55):
I was shocked that you expect him back.

Speaker 4 (01:13:57):
Oh yeah, absolutely, Where are you seeing this?

Speaker 8 (01:14:00):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (01:14:00):
I just expect him back because I saw the holiday
in last night. Okay, No, I haven't seen any reports
that he's gonna be out the whole year.

Speaker 2 (01:14:07):
I haven't seen anything that said he's racing to come
back either. I mean, it's almost as if you've taken
this one massive direction, and I don't think anyone's on
that time. I mean, again, I don't know what kind
of sources Mark Willard has, but he said it sounds
like he's done for the year from what he'd been here. Wow,
and he's in an NFL market, so who knows. Pete

(01:14:28):
Wright's on Twitter, which is the best way to get
your instant reaction for the weekend. It was after Week three.
I know this defense will win a championship this year.
Scoring is down across the league, and I believe it's
a trend that will continue due to due to all
the injuries on teams offenses. Well, Pete is a Steelers fan.

(01:14:48):
You should like that because their defense is in a
great spot right now. But are you buying what Pete's selling?

Speaker 3 (01:14:54):
Maybe it's just gonna take a little bit longer for offenses.
To catch up the speed. Like I said, we only
had the three weeks of the preseason. Not only because
of the three weeks of the preseason, we didn't play
the starters any of the games. So usually when we
have like four weeks, will play them in one of
the games. So it's like they didn't have any preseason
at all. These three three weeks is like three preseason

(01:15:14):
games for the starters, to be honest with you, So
I still expect dopenses to pick it on.

Speaker 2 (01:15:19):
Up DP rights not nearly enough, Malik Willis MVP talk
from you both, that's fair. We haven't talked enough about it.
And then Brendan's trying to stay positive. Time for me
to be an optimist. Now, Today's lost by the Raiders
will be the low point of the season because I
think the team gets the Browns in Week four and
then the Broncos in Week five. By the way, the

(01:15:40):
Broncos have never beaten the Las Vegas Raiders. Both teams
have questionable QB situations. Dalton's a good QB. Keep your
head up.

Speaker 3 (01:15:48):
Who's fighting to get to the number one pick right now?
Raiders or Dolphins?

Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
I think it's the Titans actually right now, I don't
think we're quite in that mix yet. Do you guys
even own your first round pick this year?

Speaker 3 (01:15:58):
I hope so.

Speaker 4 (01:15:59):
I don't know, And.

Speaker 2 (01:16:02):
Colin agrees with you, right solid, Artie's probably right. Eighteen
games will also lead to a sixteen playoff team showdown
in bracket. QB's won't play all the games.

Speaker 3 (01:16:12):
You can't, Chris, I mean, look what they're going through now,
we'll get all the injuries. I'm crazing, you know. I
don't know if you want to bring it up, but
I mean, it doesn't seem like there's more injuries this year.

Speaker 4 (01:16:21):
Or just say that every year.

Speaker 2 (01:16:23):
Well, but I think if you were, if you kept
your notes, I bet there's a Roman numeral early in
the season last year what we said this to. But again,
there's a lot, there's a lot right now. Hey, when
we come back to the tyrack dot Com studios, we'll
get to Sager's take on everything next. On Fox Sports Radio,
we are sitting out an sos to Steve the Sager,

(01:16:44):
Save us, Steve? What's going on?

Speaker 4 (01:16:46):
Man?

Speaker 2 (01:16:46):
Good evening once again.

Speaker 6 (01:16:47):
After Kansas City's close win at Atlanta tonight, it's a
three and ozero record for the Chiefs. I had mentioned
earlier tonight the Falcons last two drives of the night,
they were stopped on fourth down each time. Did you
see the pass to the end zone on a third
down four minutes left to Kyle Pitts and it seemed
like the defender was wrapped around him and it was

(01:17:08):
not called pass interference in the end zone. The Falcons
head coach Raheem Morris was asked about that play after
the game. He declined comments, saying only I like my money,
blame him, Blame him.

Speaker 3 (01:17:23):
On the Chiefs that official. I'm just kidding.

Speaker 6 (01:17:27):
You're not the only one that's been talking about that online.
Patrick Mahomes with another win, so he set a couple
of records tonight. Record for most wins in your first
hundred starts in the league and this is only start
ninety nine, but seventy seven wins out of ninety nine
starts for Patrick Mahomes. He breaks the tie with Tom
Brady and Roger Staubach for most wins at this point

(01:17:48):
in your career dating back to nineteen fifty. And he
also now has the most touchdown passes to start your
career first hundred starts. He had been tied with Aaron Rodgers.
This is now two hundred twenty four touchdown passes, and yeah,
he had two more touchdown passes tonight.

Speaker 2 (01:18:05):
By the way, I will say, if that's a PI
on the Bengals guy the week before, that's a pass
interference in the end zone. Do never even made an
attempt to go look for the ball?

Speaker 4 (01:18:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:18:15):
I made it regardless of any other game. That was
a pass interference.

Speaker 2 (01:18:18):
Exactly, exactly, bad miss call.

Speaker 6 (01:18:20):
Two other quarterback notes, Sam Darnold of the undefeated Vikings.
He threw a couple of touchdown passes in each of
the first two games this year. He had never had
multiple TD passes in three straight games in his career
at any point. Now he started this season that way
because he had two touchdown passes pretty quickly in Minnesota today,
four TD passes for the day thirty four to seven,

(01:18:41):
the final for the Vikings over Houston. Meanwhile, not much
passing for the Chargers under Jim Harbaugh so far. In fact,
justin Herbert, dating back to last year, he's been under
two hundred yards passing in four straight games, longest such
streak of his career, and it ties the longest by
any Chargers quarterback since Philip River over a decade ago. Wow,

(01:19:02):
and yet they were in a ten ten tie at
Pittsburgh in the fourth quarter eventually lost. You told me
about love scoring. The Pittsburgh Steelers are three and oh.
They've only scored fifty one points total in the three games.
That is the fewest points for a three and oh
team in almost twenty years in the NFL. And let's
go a step further, because they're not just winning. The

(01:19:23):
Steelers have a two game lead in the division already.

Speaker 3 (01:19:26):
Crazy.

Speaker 6 (01:19:27):
The Baltimore Ravens are one and two. Cleveland's one and two.
Even if Cincinnati wins tomorrow, the Bengals would be one
and two, and yes, Sea has a two game to lead. Also, yeah,
it has started a three and oh. By the way,
we do have two Monday Night games tomorrow, including Cincinnati
hosting Washington Heisman winning quarterbacks going at at Daniels and Borough.

(01:19:48):
It'll be the third matchup in Monday Night football history
between two Heisman winners at quarterback, but the first meeting
between two Heisman quarterbacks from the same college from LSU
Jade and Daniels against Joe Burrow tomorrow. The other game
Tomorrow is zero and two Jacksonville at Buffalo that will
start a few minutes earlier seven to thirty Eastern time.

(01:20:08):
And well, let's just say Jacksonville was tied with Carolina
for the worst record in the league since Week thirteen
last year. One and seven is the drought they're in,
and five of those Jacksonville losses were by one score,
eight points or less. In fact, Trevor Lawrence is on
quite a losing streak personally. You know how wins are

(01:20:29):
assigned to quarterbacks ending on Derrick Henry. As Baltimore held
on for a win at Dallas today, the great now
Baltimore running back had one hundred and fifty one yards
rushing and two scores on the ground. He's won away
from Jim Brown's record most one hundred and fifty yards
rushing games With two rushing tds, He's tied Ladanian Tomlinson,

(01:20:51):
who also had twelve such games. Jim Brown with thirteen
such games in his career, and I'm guessing if Jim
Brown had just kept playing, he would have had more.
It's noted in football history that Jim Brown retired at
the top of his game.

Speaker 2 (01:21:05):

Speaker 6 (01:21:54):
Though?

Speaker 2 (01:21:55):
Yes, get a little bit, got a little bit of
a rest then, so it wasn't all terrible for Well, that's.

Speaker 3 (01:21:59):
Why we're gonna pound Utah like they've never been pounded before.

Speaker 2 (01:22:04):
That's probably not of context that can be used somewhere.
Didn't you regularly play them though in the Pac twelve?

Speaker 3 (01:22:10):
Yeah, I think we did pretty well against them mostly
so most games were close. I think one time they
kicked their backside.

Speaker 2 (01:22:18):
Do you want the actual number?

Speaker 3 (01:22:20):
Sure?

Speaker 4 (01:22:20):
I mean, I'd prefer to remember it the way I remember.

Speaker 3 (01:22:23):
But go ahead.

Speaker 2 (01:22:24):
Well they have once one, two, three, four, five to
the last six, but we can get one. You did
beat the snot out of them last year. You beat
him forty two to eighteen in the game that Cam
Rising didn't play.

Speaker 4 (01:22:35):
I'm expecting the same thing this year.

Speaker 2 (01:22:37):
Forty two to six, forty two to eighteen. Excuse me,
was I.

Speaker 4 (01:22:41):
Don't know if they'll get that many points, but around that?

Speaker 2 (01:22:44):
Okay? Well, I'm glad that your confidence hasn't been shook
by getting boat raced by Kansas State a couple weeks
ago and then watching Kansas State get boat raced by BYU.
I'm glad that you're staying strong.

Speaker 4 (01:22:55):
That was horrible.

Speaker 3 (01:22:56):
Yeah, you know what, that was a Friday night. We're
not used to play it on Friday nights.

Speaker 2 (01:23:01):
Oh gosh, any excuses.

Speaker 3 (01:23:03):
We had injuries? Our running back.

Speaker 2 (01:23:04):
Has heard so you make more excuses than Roger the
engineer man.

Speaker 4 (01:23:08):
You gots wow.

Speaker 2 (01:23:09):
You realize that Georgia has beaten uh or has lost
Alabama eight The last nine times they.

Speaker 3 (01:23:15):
I have Georgia. I'm picking Georgia this week against Alabama.

Speaker 4 (01:23:18):
Sorry, bog fans.

Speaker 2 (01:23:20):
The only time that Georgia has beaten Alabama was in
the playoffs since twenty since two thousand and seven, Georgia
Georgia beat him in twenty twenty one. Thirty three to eighteen,
these two teams have played in either the SEC Championship
or the fourteen playoffs.

Speaker 4 (01:23:42):
Let's see.

Speaker 2 (01:23:43):
Oh my gosh, they've only played on campus twice in
like the last fifteen years. It's wild last ten years.
Excuse me, it's wild how little these two teams in
the same conference have played each other. But a big
week into college football coming up, and that's hey, it's
one of those games that when you're looking ahead, Arnie,
you kind of circle on the skeed, not kind of
you sharply on the schedule whenever you see, oh my goodness,

(01:24:06):
we're getting Alabama and Georgia in primetime. That's gonna be awesome.
It's a big weekend of college food. Well, I'm trying
not to get too carried away and looking back, because,
as my high school football coach told me, Arnie, the
Lord put your eyes in the front of your head,
so you can look forward to, not behind. We got
a lot of ranked matchups, a lot of ranked matchups
this weekend.

Speaker 4 (01:24:26):
I'm the same way.

Speaker 3 (01:24:27):
I'm looking way way ahead. I just got done ordering
my number one or number eighteen dolphin jersey that says
Manning on the back.

Speaker 2 (01:24:39):
Oh, you ready to draft Arch Manning? Let's go, Let's go.
I mean he's only.

Speaker 4 (01:24:44):
About I know, I know, eligible. Yeah, I wish well.
I'm sure Eui and Peyton can pull some strings.

Speaker 3 (01:24:50):
You know that, don't you.

Speaker 2 (01:24:52):
He's not even the best quarterback on the Longhorns roster.
Man quinn Ewers is better than him.

Speaker 3 (01:24:56):
I know, I know, But I figure Arch is gonna
be pretty damn good. It looks that way, you know.

Speaker 2 (01:25:02):
That looks that way. A lot of teams have looked
really good against Louisiana, Lafayette and UTSA, Louisville Notre Dame
coming up this weekend, Oklahoma State, Kansas State this weekend.

Speaker 3 (01:25:12):
Boy, you don't know which, don't today team? You're going
to get Louisville, Ohia. What a four and a half
fight board on the dog Marble. That's gonna be a battle.
That's gonna be a good game.

Speaker 4 (01:25:20):
Hard to figure out at all.

Speaker 2 (01:25:21):
All right, a couple of quick tweets and then we'll
hit what we learned and what we know after Week
three of the NFL, which came to a conclusion with
the Chiefs and knocking off the Atlanta Falcons. By the way,
it was very funny nature boy. We obviously can't equate pictures.
There's no magic video button. When he said a Dolphin

(01:25:42):
fans current outlook and he sent us a picture of
Diddy on the phone, at least we're not Diddy. Come on,
that was tough today. I was the first game with
Skyler Thompson. Then he got hurt and some fan won
an opportunity in the stands to come down and play.
So I don't think we should be getting too carried
away with that, at least for now.

Speaker 4 (01:25:59):
And then is that who came in? Then, boyle, Yes,
that's who came in.

Speaker 3 (01:26:04):
Billy Hoyle.

Speaker 2 (01:26:05):
Not Billy Hoyle, not the not the character from White
Men Can't Jump You Sure? Paul writes, if the NFL
gave the Dolphins until Tuesday, Arnie, I still don't think
they would have scored a touchdown against Seattle.

Speaker 3 (01:26:17):
He could be right about that. I don't know if
I can argue much about that one. I'm just the
offense was so pathetic, and to see him just go
through it and then go forward on fourth down and
the chemistry tutor doesn't know what the hell he's doing
out there and doesn't know what to call. He's the
worst play geez. I want him gone, man, I just
I can't take it anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:26:38):
You want the guy to take you to the playoffs
the last two years, and that's one and you want
him gone.

Speaker 3 (01:26:46):
Yeah, he's gonna have to be gone.

Speaker 2 (01:26:47):
Who who's your guy?

Speaker 4 (01:26:48):
Then? Who do you want?

Speaker 3 (01:26:50):
Really doesn't make a difference at this point, right does it.
I mean we're gonna lose anyway, So.

Speaker 4 (01:26:55):
Why would you want him fired if it doesn't make
He just the aggravates the crap out of me.

Speaker 2 (01:27:00):
Them two weeks ago when you were one to oh
you love them, I mean you got to make up
your mind. Please don't talk about my Niners tonight, rights, Dan,
that's tough last two weeks for San Francisco. I still
don't know how they lost that game today. That's one
of those I still have no idea.

Speaker 3 (01:27:17):
I know you don't like to talk about what win
probability for the forty nine ers today must have been
in the high nineties percent in that Rams game at
the end that.

Speaker 2 (01:27:25):
I'll continue to defend myself. Win probability is dumb. Yes,
when a team has a big lead, they have a
high percentage chance of winning. Thank you, well, there's all
like two. It wasn't win probability like ninety all right,
I mean what it always is to his data. Rites,
boys at disarray, Sports talk radio and the Metroplex going
to be wild tomorrow. I'm sure there will be a

(01:27:47):
four sales side in McCarthy's front yard when he gets home. Ooh,
and we're on the ticket too. Oh, the Musers are
going to be fired up tomorrow morning. That was not
a good look for the Dallas Cowboys today. Now give
him a little. They showed some heart and got to
get back in this game. But Saints made him look foolish.
And we've discovered the Browns might kind of suck, and

(01:28:09):
then today they just it took that fourth quarter melt
down for the Ravens to even allow them to get
close to get back in that game. It's it's bad
in Dallas right now. They can't run the football no one.

Speaker 4 (01:28:19):
And of course Doc is getting all the money.

Speaker 3 (01:28:21):
I'm sure people are going to be jumping on him, going, well,
now we're handcuffed, what are we gonna do? We can't
spend anybody at all. Went to dak out there. I
always thought they didn't have enough offensive weapons. Didn't look
good through the first three quarters until they kind of
had a little bit of a run in the fourth.
Still think they're going to have problems. I can't believe
I picked this team to go to the super Bowl.
I really want to mulgan on that one. That's for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:28:42):
Well you got time, you got time. You can change
your pick. Now it's done. It's done for the case
it written. Did you make sure that it was written
down in studio?

Speaker 4 (01:28:49):
Yes? I did. I did write it down.

Speaker 3 (01:28:52):
Our producer that you keep saying that we have that
I've never met, he didn't do it for me. So
I just send an email company white email to get
it done.

Speaker 2 (01:29:01):
So, yeah, exactly, all right. Here is one from Marty
who writes to keep your Dolphins prediction alive. The only
place to start is nineteen ninety three in two thousand
and one, when one in three starts and one in
four starts produced super Bowl champs. In nineteen ninety three,
the Dallas Cowboys started one and four but ended up
winning the Super Bowl. In fact, they won to Wow,

(01:29:23):
I didn't remember that way.

Speaker 3 (01:29:24):
Because Emmitt Smith held out. I think that's it.

Speaker 2 (01:29:27):
In ninety three, uh, and then in two thousand and one,
the New England Patriots started one in three but ended
up winning the Super Bowl. They went on a run
after their slow start to finish eleven and five.

Speaker 3 (01:29:39):
Yeah, they're feeling it for the Dolphins making a run
with no quarterback?

Speaker 2 (01:29:44):
What if?

Speaker 4 (01:29:45):
Why did they?

Speaker 3 (01:29:45):
I kept saying, why did they do direct snaps the
Tyreek Hill? I don't know why that wasn't a possibility.

Speaker 4 (01:29:50):
Why don't they or why did they? Why didn't they?

Speaker 3 (01:29:53):
Is my point?

Speaker 2 (01:29:55):
Maybe he sucks at it?

Speaker 4 (01:29:57):
Could did you see the game today with the quarterbacks? Well,
I understand that. Why did they ask me to play?

Speaker 2 (01:30:03):
That's well, probably because you sucked. That's why.

Speaker 4 (01:30:05):
Okay, that I'd fit right.

Speaker 2 (01:30:07):
In nineteen ninety three was when it missed the first
two yeah, regular season games, but that was only I
liked that one. Yeah, that, but he came back and
they lost. By the way, they lost those two games
at zero and two start they lost to the Redskins
and the bill.

Speaker 3 (01:30:26):
You know, I broke that story naturally about Edmond Smith
coming back.

Speaker 2 (01:30:29):
It's awesome. Congratulations.

Speaker 4 (01:30:31):
You know a show. I broke it on yours.

Speaker 3 (01:30:33):
No, it wasn't on my show, No it was it. Okay,
it was on the sports Babe show.

Speaker 2 (01:30:41):
Oh, the fabulous sports Babe I've ever heard? Yeah, oh yeah,
yeah yeah, how'd you break it? Now? You've got me
in on this story.

Speaker 3 (01:30:47):
Some guy called me up, one of those rich billionaires
and saw, you know, it was the playing thing. I
saw the play that, you know, that old thing, and
I just went with it. And he turned out to
be right, and them was on a plane getting back
and getting ready to sign.

Speaker 2 (01:31:03):
So Colin writes, if you guys did the opposite of
Colin Coward and had a four team dumpster firearchy are
both of your teams in it? Oh? I mean if
you lose the Panthers, you're automatically in it. So yes, Now,
I don't think the Dolphins are quite in it yet
because their quarterback is out. But Jacksonville has a chance
to be in that four team dumpster fire if they

(01:31:25):
lose again tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (01:31:26):
If the Dolphins don't get their quarterback back, then they're
going to be in that dumpster fire, that's for sure. Yeah,
they're not going to get them back.

Speaker 2 (01:31:34):
I think. I think if I had my four team
dump dumpster fire right now. Yeah, and this is knee
jerky based on today, and you've got to have reaction.
The Titans are there, the Raiders are there, the Browns
are there, and the Jaguars are waiting around the peripheral
to jump in with them.

Speaker 3 (01:31:54):
Now, maybe the Patriots too, well you say, maybe the Bears.
Maybe that you put the Bear in there for your form.

Speaker 2 (01:32:01):
Yeah, yeah, awesome. Where the Bears did beat the Titans
in a game that they had no business winning, so
it was definite.

Speaker 3 (01:32:06):
Tho, it's definitely gonna be the Broncos. So they look
so good today.

Speaker 2 (01:32:09):
Mister Nobody writes, I feel bad for you losing to
Tennessee for no other reason. You had to endure those
hill billy fan singing Rocky Top over and over. No,
I thought it's awesome. I think it's one of the
it's not and it's not even their fight song. Did
you know that?

Speaker 1 (01:32:22):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:32:22):
I didn't know that.

Speaker 2 (01:32:23):
Yeah, there you learn something.

Speaker 4 (01:32:24):
I've been to Georgia, Tennessee a couple of times.

Speaker 2 (01:32:26):
That's you notice how it quickly becomes about Arnie and
not about.

Speaker 3 (01:32:30):
I just I just love the atmosphere at the SEC.
Finally you got to play in the SEC game and
you know what it's talking about.

Speaker 2 (01:32:37):
That's fun.

Speaker 4 (01:32:38):
Fun.

Speaker 2 (01:32:38):
I can't wait to go to Auburn this weekend either,
and Josh right now where you're going? Wow, yes, I
think so. Did you see the hurricane that's bearing down
on the Gulf No, looks nasty. And then Josh Wright.
Sam Darnold to the Dolphins next year? Question Mark, he'll
be so old by then. I mean, he's doing great
this year, but I can't next year. I don't want

(01:33:01):
Sam Donald. I'll go to do you know old Sam
Donald is?

Speaker 3 (01:33:04):
I would say thirty.

Speaker 2 (01:33:06):
He's twenty seven, dude.

Speaker 4 (01:33:08):
Ooh okay, I've aged in like two years, three years.

Speaker 2 (01:33:11):
You're making him like some crazy like not Aaron Rodgers's. Well,
you got to he was one of those guys whenever
he got drafted, because he was drafted in twenty eighteen,
he was only twenty one years old when he got drafted.
Got I mean, in fact, he might have been twenty
I don't think he turned twenty one until June. So

(01:33:32):
I mean, you know, you know what's gonna happen with him.
He's gonna get the Matt Flynn, the Matt Shob, you know,
has a couple of really really good games and maybe
even has a really good season, and someone's gonna overspin
for him, like the Raiders in free agency. Then he's
gonna go somewhere and suck. So that's pretty much what's
gonna happen with Sam Darnald. All right, Arnie, let's let's

(01:33:52):
at least start here. Let's at least start here from
the Tirack dot com studios. We are through almost three
weeks of the NFL season. We got a doubleheader tomorrow night,
but you kick us off one a piece this segment,
and then we'll go in depth with yours and X
after week three of the NFL season, Arnie, you know this.

Speaker 3 (01:34:09):
All right, After week three of the NFL season. I
know this, And before I get into individual teams or
individual players or how things have been. And I'm not
just saying this because my Dolphins are off to a
bad start. This has not been the first exciting three weeks.
I'm not sure something's missing. I don't know if it's
the lack of offense, or things aren't sharp, or there's

(01:34:30):
a lot of penalties out there, because there's certainly themes
there's a lot of penalties. I don't have the numbers.
It just seems an abundance of calls all over the place.
Maybe it's because of injuries.

Speaker 2 (01:34:42):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:34:43):
It just doesn't feel like there's like a really a
bunch of really great teams that we can't wait to
see other than Kansas City. So I a little disappointed
in the first three weeks there, Chris, What do you think?

Speaker 2 (01:34:54):
Well, I think the team that you told us all
off season was going to the Super Bowl and was
gonna go twenty and oh is one and two and
your quarterback is hurt. So I think that's gonna add
to it quite a.

Speaker 4 (01:35:05):
Bit, well, a little bit, A little bit, I think.

Speaker 2 (01:35:08):
A lot of bit. For you, I don't think injuries.

Speaker 4 (01:35:11):
The injuries too.

Speaker 2 (01:35:12):
What's the big injury that's jumping out to you right now?

Speaker 3 (01:35:15):
I don't know that.

Speaker 2 (01:35:16):
Just two well too, you keep talking about all these injuries,
and Miles Garrett has a foot thing, Max Crosby's a
little thing.

Speaker 3 (01:35:24):
Look what San Francisco's going through with McCaffrey, and he
that's fair.

Speaker 4 (01:35:30):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's fair.

Speaker 2 (01:35:31):
I am I will say this maybe and maybe this
feeds into yours a little bit here as well, Arnie.
But after week three, I know this. Defenses are dominating
and defensive oriented football is boring to people. It's just
they couldn't care as like defense. I need points. Get
this stat from Steve Polozolo from PFF. At least I

(01:35:55):
think that's where he is still. Yeah, as co host
of Checked the Mic, NFL guy, I love following them
passing touchdowns through three weeks in twenty twenty four, and
I know we got we still got two more games.
There have only been one hundred and eight touchdowns thrown
through three weeks of the NFL season. By comparison, in
twenty twenty three, there was one hundred and twenty eight.
In twenty twenty two, there was one hundred and forty four,

(01:36:17):
in twenty twenty one there was one hundred and fifty nine,
and are he in twenty twenty one hundred and seventy two. Wow,
we've only seen one hundred and.

Speaker 4 (01:36:25):
Eight, so it's going down every year.

Speaker 2 (01:36:27):
Then it went down, up, down, down, down down. Yeah,
so it went up in twenty twenty, it arched up
to one seventy two. I don't know what happened.

Speaker 3 (01:36:36):
You think that's part of it, though, because we really
do want offense, and or am I just the only
one that spored because of my dolphins or or what?

Speaker 1 (01:36:43):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:36:43):
No, no, I think I think overall we're more fans
of offensive football.

Speaker 4 (01:36:47):
What about the flags too, Does it seem like there's
more penalties or not?

Speaker 2 (01:36:51):
Well, dig, I'll dig. I'm sure Listen, there's stats everywhere.
I'm sure there's some nerd that's figured out the percentage
of of flags that have been thrown this year is
as opposed to years in the past.

Speaker 4 (01:37:02):
It's funny you said that.

Speaker 3 (01:37:03):
Did you see the commercial with the nerd and they
were talking about the Dolphins because my source has told
me that the Dolphins.

Speaker 4 (01:37:09):
Will lose, I won't lose as.

Speaker 3 (01:37:11):
Much as as dolphins sleep and they never sleep or something.
You ever did you see that commercial?

Speaker 2 (01:37:16):
I haven't seen that one.

Speaker 4 (01:37:17):
Oh, it's hysterical, It's great.

Speaker 3 (01:37:20):
I'm like, oh, we got to get a hold of
that one.

Speaker 2 (01:37:21):
Do you know one of the things that I've noticed
from a penalty perspective. We are penalizing kickoffs like crazy.
Now we're starting to get better in the alignments, but
the first couple of weeks of the season, it just
it seems as if the alignment like illegal motion penalties are.

Speaker 3 (01:37:38):
Also you're not talking about holding that or anything.

Speaker 2 (01:37:42):
I feel like we've seen our fair Sheriff holding penalties too.
But I say that I feel like that's added to
that number as well here in twenty twenty four. I
got one more I want to try to squeeze in
here as well.

Speaker 3 (01:37:53):
So we haven't seen a lot of at least I
don't think so roughing the passers.

Speaker 4 (01:37:57):
We've seen a few, but not as many.

Speaker 6 (01:37:59):
Right.

Speaker 2 (01:37:59):
I got a thought that in years past, the hit
the knocked your boy out today Skylet Thompson, that might
have been flagged in the past, right because the hit
really he.

Speaker 4 (01:38:10):
Just you know, it wasn't it didn't fall on top
of him and just kind of get.

Speaker 3 (01:38:13):
Him a push.

Speaker 2 (01:38:14):
I know that this is setting up to ding my
Raiders next week, but listen, we just got smoked by
Andy Dalton. But after three weeks, I know this that
Shaun Watson debacle is just that. I mean, it is
it's gross. It really truly is the rig. He is
just a shell of himself right now. And it's gotta

(01:38:35):
be enraging because they were such a good team last
year and he got up to a pretty good start
this today. But yet it's just it's dinking and duncan man.
This was an MVP candidate before he had the contract
situation in Houston and then we know the drama that
came after that. Cleveland gave him a guaranteed contract. It's

(01:38:56):
just it's not working for a roster that should be
better than one right now. And definitely Arnie not losing
it home to the New York.

Speaker 3 (01:39:03):
Giants know, and they were gifted seven points. I was
watching the game. Kickoff is footballed. They first pay, first play,
they get the touchdown. It was a hand gifted seven.
Otherwise they didn't get anything until I think it was
with the fourth quarter they got a touchdout of the
two point conversion. Their offense is out of sorts. It
is just abysmal. I just don't I didn't think they

(01:39:25):
were that bad, and they looked that bad because of
him too. That's the reason why Chris.

Speaker 2 (01:39:30):
All right, when we come back to the TI rack
dot Com Studios. Let's hit your tweets after week three,
we know this on Fox Sports Radio. All right, it's
Arnie and Playing Committee live from the tire rack dot
Com Studios, tire rack dot Com. The way tire buying
should be? Oh good question by JJ Ball on Twitter.

(01:39:51):
Rights are we seeing the resurgence of the running game?
Will it last? Also, by the way, Rip Mercury Morris, Yes,
watched him. I am one of those guys that I'm
not gonna lie. I thought had passed a few years back.
So glad to see he was able to live out
his life, but rest in peace. He was definitely a
Dolphins legend.

Speaker 4 (01:40:12):
Arnie seventy seven years old.

Speaker 3 (01:40:14):
I loved him. I remember number twenty two when I
was a kid. He was quite the player. He played
with what Zanka and some of the guys. Did he
go to the World League too for a little bit.
I'm not sure if he signed with the World League
or not. I can't I can't remember at this point.
But he was quite the Miami Dolphin, no doubt about that.

Speaker 2 (01:40:34):
Yeah, it's he's definitely definitely one of the big time
stars of that undefeated team. Here is here is a
note on penalties that who do you have to give
credit here? I think this is our buddy Pete Bukowski
who used to come on with us. Yeah, and they

(01:40:55):
here's this is one paragraph, just kind of laying it out.
No matter how you feel about the NFL illegal procedure penalty,
they say, which is the one I've talked about the kick.
The number of penalties called against the offense over the
first two weeks of the season has increased every year
for the last three years, from one hundred and eighty
three and twenty twenty two to one hundred and ninety

(01:41:17):
six and twenty twenty three to two hundred and seventeen
this year. At the same time, though, the number of
defensive penalties have declined across the board, from one sixty
eight and twenty twenty two down to one thirty eight
and twenty twenty four. So maybe it's just that we're
seeing more of those like the holding and the illegal

(01:41:37):
procedure penalties that are kind of maybe I guess stutting
the growth of offensive football early in the season.

Speaker 3 (01:41:46):
I think they're letting more pass interference go. It seems
like they're li like it grab and push and you know,
pull a little bit on the jersey. I think they'll
say to themselves, if it's really not catchable, I know
they're supposed to do this anyway. We're not gonna go
ahead and throw the flag. We're just gonna let them play.
I saw a lot of holding and pushing right in

(01:42:06):
front of a referee and he's like, Nope, not gonna
call it.

Speaker 4 (01:42:09):
I'm wondering if they're gonna let them play this year.
Maybe that's one of the.

Speaker 2 (01:42:12):
Reasons Cowbird rights at that damn bear. After week three,
I know this Bryce Young should look into playing in
the XFL. I'm not giving up on Bryce Young yet.

Speaker 4 (01:42:22):
He's not a starter, Chris, He's not a starter.

Speaker 2 (01:42:24):
Oh you think he's done? Done is being a starter? Pier?

Speaker 4 (01:42:27):
I think I think he's O v R.

Speaker 3 (01:42:28):
Look. I mean again, it's it's telling because of what
Andy Dalton did today and the great game that he
had that really showed it. I mean, it really shows
that there's a room for, you know, a good quarterback
on that team, not Bright Young.

Speaker 2 (01:42:43):
Here's a good one from Darryl Darryl Rights. I know
the NFL is a copycat league, but after week three,
I know this college offenses are atrocious. These Jets sweeps
and hitch passes throughout twenty screens a game. It's garbage.
You cannot beat a defense like Kansas City's with this garbage.

(01:43:04):
Atlanta's offensive coordinator is awful. Who is this dope? Zach Robinson?
Oklahoma State cowboy? He gets a pass man? Come on,
he was in Oklahoma. He was great and from my state.
Even if he was a cowboy. We are seeing people
spread and Zach Robinson was kind of a college mind guy,

(01:43:24):
and I think you're starting to see while college teams
are maybe going away from it a little bit, we're
seeing a little bit more of the power run game.
And all of these offenses, by the way, unless it
was coordinated by Mike Leach, may he rest in peace.
Aren't the crazy thing? Is you hear air raid, you're
run and shoot? They were all based in running the football.
You're supposed to have a power running game to go

(01:43:45):
with that. And boy, Atlanta just tonight they really you
want to talk about spitting the bit, they absolutely did
tonight in Atlanta. And they try to get a little
bit too cute too.

Speaker 3 (01:43:54):
Often, unforgivable, I mean twice to be turning it over
on downs, especially when you're going in the red zone.

Speaker 4 (01:44:01):
You can't do that. And they just gave that game away.

Speaker 3 (01:44:04):
They had a chance to steal that one to me
and get the victory, and they just gave it away.

Speaker 2 (01:44:09):
How about this one from techs who writes, I'm seventy eight,
I live up here in British Columbia. Is the NFL
prepping for flag football in the Olympics. I've never seen
so many flags. The Seahawks had five and seven plays.
Quarterbacks can't even look at them. It's a flag. It's unwatchable. Well,

(01:44:30):
you watched a lot of that game. Is the hoto something?

Speaker 3 (01:44:33):
There was a lot of flags At one point. I
think they had twenty between the two teams. I don't
know what they nineteen or twenty that might have been
what they finished up with.

Speaker 4 (01:44:41):
That's that was just out a hand.

Speaker 3 (01:44:43):
And you know what about the ones that are you know,
deny it, say we don't want it because there was
a big play or something. It just seems like every
other play we're stopping to see if there's a penalty
or not, and if they want to accept it.

Speaker 4 (01:44:57):
It seems that way. I don't know why.

Speaker 3 (01:44:59):
Again, maybe it's the three games of preseason and the
starters not playing, so it's taking them a while to
get up to speed.

Speaker 2 (01:45:06):
I like this one from LJ who writes, after week three, Arnie,
you can forget about Brady. He isn't going to that
cesspool in Miami. How about these options? Miami could trade
for mac Jones, Taylor would be good, Russell Wilson. Miami
is like your picks, they are done.

Speaker 3 (01:45:24):
Oh stop it, No, I can't have any of those too.
Wow wow ouch see I hate Seahawks fans do they
disgusted me?

Speaker 2 (01:45:36):
What is the oh?

Speaker 4 (01:45:38):
Dad?

Speaker 2 (01:45:38):
You know, like three of them. Isn't Dan Byer a
Seahawks fan?

Speaker 4 (01:45:42):
That is correct?

Speaker 2 (01:45:43):
You know Dan and you obviously, I mean you don't
know our producer Patrick.

Speaker 4 (01:45:49):
He actually he actually he remembered. Yeah, so I think
I might get my point is taken them.

Speaker 3 (01:45:55):
They dis.

Speaker 2 (01:45:57):
Bayer like the nicest guy Fox, it's radio.

Speaker 3 (01:46:00):
I know I got to see you Hawk fan.

Speaker 2 (01:46:02):
Uh, well you lost him today, but it was your lot,
blood bank guarantee. So at least you got it right.

Speaker 3 (01:46:07):
I got that part right there.

Speaker 2 (01:46:08):
You needed to get something right in your picks. All listen,
we got more to get to after what we learned
from week three ar and he's gotten more of his
takeaways and a coach made an interesting comment in his
postgame interview, was he out of line? We'll talk about
Antonio Pierce's guys making business decisions comment coming up here
just a bit first, for one final time tonight, Steve

(01:46:30):
Seger is in the house with what's trending, What's up?

Speaker 6 (01:46:32):
Steve College Notes before we get to all the NFL
Friday Night, there's college football on Fox TV again this week,
Washington at Rutgers Saturday, Minnesota against Michigan, which is number
twelve now in the new AP pol USC thirteen. Missouri
is undefeated, but out of the top ten. It fell
to number eleven. Tennessee is up to number five in

(01:46:53):
the new AP College Football Poll, Oklahoma State's down to
number twenty. Oklahoma fell to twenty one byus in at
twenty two, and Kansas State is number twenty three. There
are two Monday night football games tomorrow in the NFL,
oh and two Jacksonville at Buffalo seven to thirty Eastern time.
Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence has lost seven straight starts, longest

(01:47:15):
active streak in the league. Jacksonville tight end Evan Ingram
out again with the bad hamstring back from a hamstring
injury for Cincinnati, T Higgins due to be active tomorrow
night as OH and two Cincinnati host Washington. It's not
strictly a doubleheader. Forty five minutes after the first kick.
Cincinnati will kick at eight fifteen pm Eastern Time. Four

(01:47:35):
and OH record perhaps next week for Pittsburgh because they've
proven at this point they really only need to score
about one touchdown and they'll win the game. They won
twenty to ten over the Chargers. A late TV made
it two touchdowns today, but Justin Fields is undefeated as
Pittsburgh quarterback Sam Darnold undefeated this year as Vikings quarterback

(01:47:56):
three and zero. Minnesota whipped Houston thirty four to seven.
Now Darnald did lee briefly with the knee injury, but
they'd have four touchdown passes Minnesota's defense with five sacks.
Texans running back Joe Mixon was out with an ankle injury,
so Houston running backs had eleven carries just twenty six
yards and the team with eleven penalties. Meanwhile, rushing for
the Vikings, Aaron Jones nineteen carries one hundred two yards.

(01:48:19):
Look at a TD reception and by the way, ex
of Minnesota Stefan Diggs ten receptions in the loss for
ninety four yards. Three to zero record for the Seahawks.
After whipping Miami twenty four to three. Zach sharbon A
two touchdown runs as Kenneth Walker was out with at
oblique injury. Seattle's defense with six sacks Miami on third
and fourth down conversions went one for fifteen.

Speaker 4 (01:48:42):
That's pretty good or not.

Speaker 6 (01:48:43):
Quarterback Skyler Thompson left with a chest injury. Raheem Mostered,
running back was already out with a chest injury. Detroit
won at Arizona twenty to thirteen.

Speaker 2 (01:48:52):
On the ground.

Speaker 6 (01:48:53):
David Montgomery one hundred five yards rushing in a TD
for the Cardinals. James Connor nine carries seventeen yards. Now
Marvin Harrison Junior was targeted eleven times but only had
five catches in the loss for sixty four yards and
a TD. Carolina in its first two games had totaled
thirteen points. Today in Vegas thirty six twenty two is

(01:49:15):
the final.

Speaker 2 (01:49:16):
You see.

Speaker 6 (01:49:17):
Bryce Young had been benched this week. Andy Dalton threw
three touchdown passes in the first half, had three hundred
nineteen yards in the game. Carolina led thirty three to
seven early in the fourth quarter, and Chuba Hubbard for
him had one hundred and fourteen yards rushing wide receiver
Adam Thielen with a touchdown, but he left with a
hamstring injury. Baltimore held on twenty eight, twenty five at

(01:49:38):
Dallas Derrick Henry one hundred and fifty one yards rushing
and two touchdowns. Raven's lead was twenty eight six with
under ten minutes to go. Dallas missed two two point
passes in the fourth quarter, lost by three. Brandon Aubrey
of Dallas kicked a sixty five yards on reel continues
to be the league record sixty six, by the way.

(01:50:01):
As far as first downs by rushing, Baltimore a sixteen
to two advantage over the Cowboy backfield in this game.

Speaker 4 (01:50:09):
Ouch.

Speaker 6 (01:50:10):
Now, the Rams came back to beat San Francisco twenty
seven twenty four, or should we say what's left of
the Rams beat what's left of the Niners field goal
in the final seconds of that one. No George Kittle
or Christian McCaffrey or Deebo Samuel no Cooper cup or
Puka Nakua. But quite a finish as the Rams got
thirteen straight points in the last six and a half minutes.
And yes, the Chiefs are three and zero. We've talked

(01:50:32):
about him throughout the show. Twenty two to seventeen was
the final in Atlanta tonight is Forehi Rice had twelve
catches for one hundred and ten yards in a score.
The Falcons in the last five minutes had two turnovers
on downs in the red zone. Philadelphia at New Orleans,
let's see, Saints were up three nothing to start the
fourth quarter, and like the Teflon League, it is the

(01:50:53):
NFL gives us greatness before the end of the fourth quarter.
It was a thrilling fourth and Philly won the game
fifteen to twelve. Saquon Barkley with two touchdowns in the fourth.
He finished with seventeen carries one hundred and forty seven yards.
Now aj Brown was out again with a hamstring injury,
and wide receiver DeVante Smith left with a concussion. It
was the Giants with eight sacks winning at Cleveland, Green

(01:51:16):
Bay with eight sacks one at Tennessee, Indy held on
over Chicago. I mentioned the Pittsburgh win. Denver also got
to win and sack Baker Mayfield seven times. Twenty six
to seven was the final. Major League Baseball has one
week left in the season. The Reds fired manager David
Bell tonight. Minnesota dropped a double header and the Tigers won,

(01:51:37):
So the Detroit Tigers are suddenly one game up on
Minnesota for the final AL wild card spot. Dodgers won
in spectacular fashion here. The Padres had scored three in
the eighth to win their game, and it's going to
be Padres at Dodgers in a three game series this week.
Dodgers were trailing bottom of the night. Sho heey Otani
leads off with a home run to tie his fifty third.

(01:51:58):
Mookie Betts then hits a home run under left, the
game winner six or five LA the final. Mets and
Braves each one back to you.

Speaker 2 (01:52:05):
Thanks, Steve, have a great week. See you next Sunday night.
All right, So, Arnie, this was a very embarrassing day
for the Las Vegas Raiders, losing to the Carolina Panthers
and Andy Dalton afterwards, Antonio Pierce.

Speaker 4 (01:52:19):
No, he didn't. I think as the game went on,
I don't think it was a team.

Speaker 3 (01:52:23):
It was.

Speaker 2 (01:52:23):
I think there was definitely some individuals that made business
decisions and won't make business decisions going forward as well. Now, right, Like,
I did not have a problem at all with that.
I think that's awesome. And he didn't point out the
individual guys, right, he didn't name names, right, I don't know,
but you I thought, I have no problem with that
at all.

Speaker 4 (01:52:41):
I think it was a little too soon though.

Speaker 3 (01:52:43):
Wasn't there another clip of him like actually getting mad
or did I miss on the I hope there was. Yeah,
but it's a little too soon. He's new coach three
weeks in. You know, he acts like he's been through
this for years and he's you know, he's tired of it,
and something's got the change.

Speaker 2 (01:53:00):
It's well, he doesn't want to lose.

Speaker 4 (01:53:02):
It's a mayor. It's a marathon, not a sprint. So
he's gonna have to learn that.

Speaker 3 (01:53:06):
I mean, I like that he's gonna say, we're gonna,
you know, have to make changes also, but you know,
relax pumped the breaks for three weeks in.

Speaker 4 (01:53:14):
There's a lot of things you gotta do.

Speaker 2 (01:53:16):
Questions in San Francisco, Kyle Shanahan after the loss, thought.

Speaker 8 (01:53:19):
We had every chance to win that game. I thought
also we had a number of times in the game
we had we had opportunities to run away with it,
especially early in the game, having that fourteen point lead,
and they hadn't really moved the ball on our d
and starting with that fake punt, I think after that,
and I feel like he went like eight of his
next ten or something like that, so they got him
back in the game. There at the end, a couple

(01:53:41):
you know who want to go in and score and
then drive obviously a touchdown. We end up getting a
field goal. I believe it made it two scores. But
then they went right down and answered with a field goal.
I thought we had a chance to make it a
two score game. We ended up missing that field goal.
And then I think they got a bomb where they
went down there right away they can really work for it.
They got a big chunk, got behind defense too much today,

(01:54:01):
gave him some easy ones in that way, and we
saw what happened. Then.

Speaker 2 (01:54:06):
Apparently that interview was done right by a power generator.
Yeah generator, you know, right in the middle of it.

Speaker 3 (01:54:12):
If all the teams lost like that fashion to a
team Mike the Rams half to half the coaches would
be on the hot seat after that game. The fans
would be screaming for their jobs just about fifty percent
of the teams if they lost a game like that.
So he's he's lucky they're not calling for his job
after that loss.

Speaker 2 (01:54:30):
That's again, I'm gonna really have to go back and
watch the end of this game. I still don't know
how the Los Angeles Rams won that game. I have
no idea for the life of me how the Los
Angeles Rams won that game.

Speaker 4 (01:54:43):
I need confirmation.

Speaker 3 (01:54:44):
I think I think we're gonna have to get double
confirmation from somebody in the media to make sure they won.

Speaker 2 (01:54:49):
So, yeah, you know, that's a good that's a good point, Arnie.
Are we sure that they actually won the game? And
I had I had one more here that I wanted
to play for you before we got out, and that
was from well, that was from the chemistry, chemistry or
math professor? Which one are you going with here?

Speaker 4 (01:55:05):
Going with the chemistry tutor, that's what.

Speaker 2 (01:55:07):
The chemistry tutor. I'm sorry, Mike McDaniel on the Dolphins defense.

Speaker 9 (01:55:11):
Yeah, there's a couple of things from at the beginning
of the game that you know, I know that the
good news is we we found our we found our
rhythm as a defense, I thought as the game progressed,
I think, uh, and the and the good news is
we have the right people on this team. I think,

(01:55:33):
and the and the right people on the defense in particular.

Speaker 2 (01:55:37):
Boy, he is a ball of energy right now, anymore.
You can go from hero to zero real quick.

Speaker 3 (01:55:43):
What were you saying? I don't even know what you
were saying for crying out loud. Want you teach me
some chemistry instead that this guy's got to go. He's
got to go. Please enough enough, you know, you know
what he's doing. He's on the sideline. At first I
thought that he was somebody's uncle. Then while they're along
the sideline and just happen to get a good seat

(01:56:04):
to a good view of the game, and talk about
though he was that coach.

Speaker 2 (01:56:07):
Alright, when we come back, When we come back, Arnie's
terrible picks will take you home right here. Fox Sports Radio,
all right, fun show tonight, Mary, Max seems a little
down you okay, tonight, Mary?

Speaker 4 (01:56:22):
All good? If only you were here, man, all right,
okay to me all the time?

Speaker 10 (01:56:29):
No like I don't think you like even beefin feels
bad for me right now, it feels bad for me.

Speaker 4 (01:56:33):
Pastor Ian feels bad for me like it's been a day.

Speaker 2 (01:56:37):
I'm sorry, a day.

Speaker 10 (01:56:39):
If only I could bring my problems to Fox National
Radio so everyone can hear the stuff I go through,
well I would.

Speaker 2 (01:56:47):
I would almost rather hear them.

Speaker 3 (01:56:48):
There's a podcasts a podcast Wow, yeah, Wow.

Speaker 4 (01:56:52):
I agree.

Speaker 2 (01:56:54):
Yeah, we could have Mary's Corner, Mary's Corner, Max Corner,
the Mac right, the mag Big mag, Patrick Swack awesome.

Speaker 7 (01:57:05):
Ye.

Speaker 2 (01:57:06):
By the way, I just want to make sure we
give a shout out. We have so many of these
stringers that go out and work their damned this to
try to get us anyone from these games. And I
know our guy out at the Chiefs Falcons game worked
his backside off. Could have a long snapper man. We
could have had the legend of Washington High School James Winchester.
But I understand you think I'm a Sooner Homer. But
thanks to our stringers out there as well, and to

(01:57:28):
Sega're absolutely crushing it on updates, as did the millions
and millions of editors behind the scene putting together all
the audio for this show. So with that said, final
segment for us take it away, stinking Genius's time for
your picks.

Speaker 3 (01:57:42):
Yeah, I'm still not getting over the hump, Chris.

Speaker 4 (01:57:45):
I was okay.

Speaker 3 (01:57:46):
I guess in college football went five and five, so
I'm okay. I'll take it after what I've been through,
my friend, I'll tell you, would.

Speaker 2 (01:57:54):
You fire a coach after five and five?

Speaker 4 (01:57:56):
Yeah? Nineteen and thirty one on picking sense?

Speaker 3 (01:58:00):
Yeah, and ifel was horrible, I went three and eight.
So I'm now eleven wins twenty eight losses, which is
twenty eight percent of the NFL.

Speaker 2 (01:58:12):
I don't even think he should get music. I think.

Speaker 3 (01:58:16):
Our friend Daryl said, come on now, enough is enough.
We know that this is a prank, and you're doing
it on purpose, and you're giving us the losers on purpose.

Speaker 2 (01:58:26):
I don't think you could.

Speaker 3 (01:58:28):
I think maybe I have been doing it Chris, and
everybody's been catching on the mirror.

Speaker 2 (01:58:33):
What are you doing?

Speaker 3 (01:58:34):
Yeah, I've been purposely giving the losers out. I think
people have gotten mad at me. Now, so there you go.

Speaker 2 (01:58:41):
Well turn it around. Give us the winners then this week?

Speaker 3 (01:58:43):
All right, this week, I'm going to give you the winners, Chris,
how about that? All right? A couple of games in
college football. I've taken Louisville plus the four and a
half against dore Day. That's actually upset special number one.
Don't want the four and a half, don't need the
four and a half. I'll take the four and a half.
Louisville's gonna win the game. I love I love Georgia.
I love him, I love him, I love him. Against Alabama,

(01:59:09):
weigh in the one and a half and Utah prepare
for the SmackDown. Here comes to beat down Arizona plus
twelve and a half against Utah. Then me give you
the two picks for the Monday night game. I'm gonna
take Jacksonville plus the five and a half on the
road against Buffalo, and I'll stick with the dogs, gonna
be Washington plus the seven and a half on the

(01:59:32):
road in Cincinnati.

Speaker 4 (01:59:33):
There you have my picks. Do with them as you please.

Speaker 3 (01:59:36):
No longer strictly for entertainment purposes only, So there you go.

Speaker 2 (01:59:40):
Christy. Yeah, you know it's I don't know if it's
ever been Worris Harny. What's the line from the movie
with al Pacino any given Sunday, which I'm I'm pretty
sure that it's the pregame locker room. He goes where
in Hell?

Speaker 4 (01:59:54):
Boys?

Speaker 2 (01:59:55):
Where in Hell? Kind of feel like that's where you
are with your pick.

Speaker 4 (01:59:57):
I am, but it's only three weeks though I can
turn it around.

Speaker 3 (02:00:00):
I got a long way to go.

Speaker 2 (02:00:02):
What you know what, let's not even focus on it.
Good luck, have a blast with it. I think we're
gonna get an interesting cross section of games tomorrow night.
I don't want to put Doug Peterson on the hot
seat and say he's coaching for his job, but if
they fall to zero and three, I mean, Jacksonville's not

(02:00:23):
really been a franchise, that's all that patient and they
made the big investment in Trevor Lawrence. Where's we don't
start having bye weeks for a while now. But I
mean if they don't, if they don't get going in Jacksonville,
Arnie we Doug Peterson would be my odds on favor
to right now to be the first coach that could
lose his job.

Speaker 3 (02:00:41):
Could be because that's a possibility. And they just gave
their quarterback a huge money and Dallas might be number two,
So we'll see which one.

Speaker 2 (02:00:49):
Oh yeah, Dallas, especially because Jerry loves him some Mike
Zimmer and even though the defense isn't performing well, he'll
probably blame Mike Mike McCarthy for that. How about Commanders, Bengals.
Did you say you were going with Tomorrow night in
that one?

Speaker 4 (02:01:03):
Washington? Washington?

Speaker 2 (02:01:06):
No, No, you are washing your notebook away.

Speaker 4 (02:01:09):
He's talking with Washington.

Speaker 3 (02:01:10):
Yes, I'm going to Washington.

Speaker 2 (02:01:12):
You're like, all right, I'm folding up. I'm out here. Well, listen,
enjoy Monday Night football should be two good games. Big
Good Mallard is coming up next. That's big Ben Mallard
coming up next to recap all the games today. Fun
week three in the NFL. Big win for the Chiefs
on Sunday Night football, and Arnie and I will be
back next Sunday night to recap it all. Everyone, have
a great start to your week. We'll see you next
week right here on Fox
