Speaker 1 (00:01):
You want experience during your football season, well, buckle up,
sweet cheeks. We've got all the experience in the world.
This is I want your flex with Dan Bayer and
Mike Harmon. Mike and Dan break down everything you need
to set your lineups, from position rankings.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
To starts and sins.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
The guys help you make those hard decisions. And now
let's catch your flex on. Here's Dan Bayer and Mike Harmon.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Week seven is here, and unfortunately it also gave us
a Broncos Saints Welcome in by Mike at Swallen Dolf.
You can find me at Dan Byer on Fox. I
know Broncos fans are fine with that. They're four and
three and everything is good. Not good in New Orleans now,
losers of their last five after that amazing tu andoh start,
and I'm not sure they could field a team in
the Week eight Mike. It was just a rough one

(00:55):
to start the week in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Yeah, I mean, look, we've long lamented the the EBB
and flow that is the Thursday game. This is one
that if you missed it because and just say, hey,
I watched the Dodgers and the Mets or the end
of the Yankees guardians, be done with it. You're covered.
Nobody will revoke your NFL fandom because if they watched it,
they're not gonna want to admit it when it's all

(01:18):
said and done. Yeah, here's Javonte Williams eighty eight and
two touchdowns. Great, here's Alvin Kamara catching a bunch of
balls out of the backfield and barely getting the length
of his body forward, calling out everything on the sidelines
and shrugging. And then in the post game, so it
becomes the Denver defense Will lutts, and you had a

(01:40):
decent fantasy day from bo Nicks, not because he threw
the ball well at all. The honey Badger still owes
everybody goodness for that. I mean, come on, that was
embarrassing on a million levels because a it might have
been a pick six.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
Maybe at least getting in the field goal right right, you're.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Gonna get into field goal range, and instead it becomes
a Denver field goal the other way. But bow Knicks
gave you a bunch of yardage on the ground. There's
your savor seven points.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Boom. I'm gonna tell you another reason why I hated
Thursday Night Football, and it did have to do with
Alvin excuse, not Elvin Kamara, Chris Olave's injury, Rashid Shaheed
could miss the rest of the season because of his
meniscus injury, No Derek Carr. Obviously, all of that gave
us reasons to not watch No Patrick's or Tan on

(02:29):
the other side. But the real reason why I didn't
like the Thursday Night game is because I don't love
the Broncos new uniforms. And I'm using new in terms
of with air quotes, because how really new are they
when you just put a new sticker on the helmet?
And I understand that the jerseys are completely different, but

(02:49):
I don't even like the new jerseys. But they weren't
even the worst thing about Thursday Night Football. My rule, Mike,
you know it, No throwback jerseys should be from prior
to nineteen seventy. That is, there is no reason anymore
to sit there and wear a sixties or fifties or
forties throwback. And the Saints, for as good as that

(03:11):
Florida Lee looks with their old gold helmet that they have,
I don't need the nineteen sixty seven jerseys. I mentioned
Dalton Hilliard in the podcast accidentally earlier this week. Give
me some nineteen eighties New Orleans Saints. Give me some
nineteen nineties. They used to have the state of Louisiana
on their sleeve. Give me that. That's what I remember.
That's what people my age remember. We don't know nineteen

(03:33):
sixty seven jerseys. And the people that remember the nineteen
sixty seven Saints jerseys don't care that the Saints are
wearing nineteen sixty seven jerseys. I understand this ode to history.
Illinois this week is honoring Red Grange by wearing uniforms
from one hundred years ago. Who cares? Like? Who cares?
Right right, Red Grange all over the field. However you want.

(03:56):
Don't make these uniform changes with stuff way the he back.
Make it for the audience. There is my rant.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Are they going to wear face masks?

Speaker 3 (04:07):
They are so awful, they are ridiculous. It just it
makes no sense to me. And it's why the NBA,
for as crazy as they are with their uniforms, actually
hits on something because a majority of their throwbacks now
are to the nineteen nineties. Yeah, where me and you
and other people who have buying power will be like, hey,

(04:31):
all right, yeah that was my era. I'll buy that,
I'll buy that hat, I'll buy that shirt' that's you
cater to their old gold look. The old gold look
is magnificent, but make it with little Bobby A Bear,
Eric Martin. How about the Dome patrol? Right? You know,
like give us that era. Don't give us something from

(04:52):
nineteen sixty seven where the pants don't even match the helmet.
It's it's just it's infuriating to me when teams do that.
And I know the Saints get hype when the Hey
guess what they were of their throwbacks. We're different throwbacks.
I'm not satisfied with them.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
There you go. There's one more negative point of Thursday
Night Football. I might actually go back and watch this
one though, fellas with the audio because obviously I'm in
the studio doing the show with Jason Smith, so I
didn't get to hear how incensed Al Michaels was on
the broadcast. But what I hear is in the second
half they started debating who the greatest hockey player of

(05:28):
all time was.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
It was Connor McDavid.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
McDavid versus Gretzky. Yes, this is what we started getting into.
So I'm here for that, and I wanted to hear
what Ben had to say about it.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
Well, is that the dog?

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Yeah, yeah?

Speaker 2 (05:44):
Oh Man, So that's the end of it.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
I mean, look, obviously a lot of injuries on the
Saint side of things. But if after Kamara's comments, the
lack of effort what they've been for the last five weeks,
if that doesn't push the needle towards the firing of
Dennis Allen and trying to figure out a new direction.
And I get it. You mentioned the receivers being out

(06:08):
Derek Carr, however much longer he's out out of action,
They're just in a horrible spot right now. That effort,
I mean, Richard Sherman at the halftime was saying, hey,
lack of efforts, like they're trying to get this guy fired.
I'm like, okay, most ex athletes, I mean, Dan, you
and I have been doing this a long time. I
said this with Smith a little bit, like we've been

(06:30):
doing this a long time. As soon as you start
questioning the guy's athlete people, the hair stands up on
ex athletes the back of their necks. So to have
Richard Sherman call that out on the national broadcast and
just say it plained his day tells you exactly where
we're at in this process.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
And I'll I'll add this in our preseason picks that
we do at Fox Sports Radio. And I know if
you're listening to this podcast, you are not privy to
the sheet that we have posted, but I think enough
hosts talk about our sheet.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
YEP.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
I put this, Saints is the worst team in the
National Football.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
I was there with you. Yeah, and then.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Two weeks into the season they're two to zero and
they look absolutely dominant, and they'll win over the Cowboys
and they're ready to roll and do their whole whole deal.
This has some remnants of two thousand and one Carolina Panthers,
where they won the first game of the year and
then lost fifteen straight and they went to Minnesota. They

(07:27):
opened the year, Steve Smith actually took the opening kickoff
and his rookie year, first game he ever played, took
it back for a touchdown. Panther's going to win the
game is the only game that they won that year. Now,
they didn't get the first pick in two thousand and
two because the Texans came into the league, so they
had to pick second. But I don't know if the
Saints with their injuries, Mike and how things are playing

(07:47):
out right now. I mean, we're talking about a five
game slide and things don't seem to be getting any
better in what seems to be a tougher division. And
you've already played Carolina once and they didn't have any
Dalton in that game, and they probably will the next
time you play him. So yeah, I'm just saying it's tough,
tough time for the New Orleans Saints.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Time time to tank. Yeah, you might as well bring
Chador to town or or insert your favorite quarterback here.
I start thinking about the economics as much as the uh,
the actual quarterback, because I think we overhype how quickly
quarterbacks can change things. Because right now the Saints have
a lot to fix.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Well, yeah, people are excited about a fifth round pick
getting to play.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Just Jake Hayter.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Yeah, and spend Spencer Rattler, you know.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Like starting Hayin coming in all of that. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
Yeah, Like it's just just a mess. By the way,
that Panther's rematch comes up in two weeks, so it's
it's November three, so get ready for that one. And
I think Carolina can bring it for for another victory.
But all right, enough of the Saints, enough of the Broncos.
Let's get to Week seven. Mike Harmon's got your rankings
and a week where only the Cowboys and Bears have

(08:59):
a lie, so a lot of action. Mike, your top
five quarterbacks four Week seven.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Well, let's take a quarterback running against that Carolina defense.
It's Jaden Daniels. We gotta love it. Twenty plus fantasy
points five of his six starts. You've got the Panthers
given up eighteen fantasy points per game. I'll take the
over on that one. Josh Allen against Tennessee. Not sure
yet whether Amari Cooper becomes part of the mix as
we do this recording. Being a little bit coy about it.

(09:25):
He's got two efforts of fewer than ten fantasy points
and then he's got a twenty four and two at
thirty plus Tennessee seventh best. Why could you run the
ball all over? What does Josh Allen also do? Pretty well?
He runs the football, so all good things as we
find balance in the force. Number one quarterback in the game,
Lamar Jackson going up against Tampa on the road. They've

(09:46):
given the given up the second most fantasy points to
opposing quarterbacks, nearly twenty one and a half per game,
so expect more fireworks there. Joe Burrow slow start, but
now we start seeing him move and along. I know
Cleveland ranks pretty well defensively against quarterbacks, but I hang
a star on it. You know, it's the if it

(10:08):
keeps on rain and the levee's gonna break. Yeah, as
long as Kevin Stefanski has to keep doing his hostage
videos of Deshaun Watson gives us our best chance to win.
This continues to go south, no matter how much we
anticipate and get excited about the return of Nick Chubb
on the other side, burrowing that offense moving after the

(10:30):
slow start, and then finally I hemdon hawed, and finally
I got myself back onto the Baker Mayfield into the
top five. He's gone for nineteen point eight or more
and five of his six starts Baltimore third most generous
to opposing quarterbacks.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
Mike with the led Zeppelin reference, Joe Burrow's finally gotten
the letout in that offense seems to be let's cooking,
yeah a little bit more. Let's get to the top
five running backs. Mike for Week seven. Again, you don't
have to play any cowboy running backs because there that
was sarcasm. All right, let's get to the Week seven
running backs.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
You can't make me play them. Kyron Williams going up
against Las Vegas is the first fourteen or more fantasy
points each game played thus far. Las Vegas bottom bottom
third of the league. They are actually the ninth most
fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs. The thing I
love is Williams has been so efficient in the red zone.
You get Cooper cup back in some capacity as well,

(11:27):
So opportunity for this offense to maybe take a step forward.
I know I certainly did a bunch on the jettison
to Matthew Stafford in one of my guillotine leagues to
try to help out my quarterbacking position. So we'll see
how that translates overall. Saquon Barkley quote unquote revenge game.
Anybody anybody want.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
To Yeah, we use that too much for that?

Speaker 2 (11:48):
No, I agree, Yeah, let's go for it here. Let's
it's also the keep Nick Sirianni off the hot seat.
How do you do that? You use the guy They
spent a lot of money, sure and run the ball.
You've got New York eleventh best against running backs. I
think they're a better team than most give them credit for.
They fought Cincinnati well, but Barkley too much. Runner and
receiver Derek Henry. Going up against Tampa, We've seen him

(12:11):
go for twenty five plus fantasy points three times already
this season. Looking for another big effort here Tampa Bay
giving up twenty points per game to opposing a run
is b Jon Robinson. Anytime I put him in the
top five, I light another candle because I know I'm
probably screwing fantasy owners. Going up against Seattle this week.
Last time out, we get that big effort from him

(12:34):
as well as all year. But looking here, the Seahawks
eleventh most generous at twenty two plus per game. And
then finally his run in the top five and as
the unquestioned back maybe coming to an end in the
next couple of weeks. So we'll celebrate the hell out
of Chewba Hubbard so long as we can. He is
gone for at least fourteen points in five of six.

(12:56):
Remember he had a one point four all the way
back in Week one. You've got a Washington squad giving
up over twenty one fantasy points per game to opposing
runners just on the outside looking in. Joe Mixon his
two games twenty six point eight, twenty seven point two
and then obviously the eight when he got hurt against
the Bears, but an opportunity for him because he's running angry.

(13:18):
He's still ticked that it took several games off of
his slate when he started so well. So he's at
number six with a bullet.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
I know that Zach Robinson had plans in Atlanta for
Beijon Robinson and for Tyler l Geer, and I think
that it finally played out in week six. Now, granted,
you don't get to play Carolina every week, but the
good news is is Seattle's coming to town, so maybe
it's not going to be too different. We'll see how
it plays out with Bijon in your top five. But
when he talked about l Gier getting action and Bijon

(13:46):
getting his as well, they both got theirs last week.
We'll see if it continues in week seven. All right,
let's go to the wide receivers, Mike, your top five
plays of that position this week.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
Well, we got to start with Chase Jamar Chase Cruiz
in a lo as we keep rolling on, looking at
an opportunity here going up against Cleveland. You had three
games with a straight with a touchdown ended last week
against the Giants. But we see the opportunities that are there,
the target count up and as we talked about a

(14:16):
little with Joe Burrow, offense really starting to take its strides,
you know, just like it does every year after the
first two weeks of the season when they're terrible and
drop games, just bad bad planning, bad planning. Come on, Godwin.
Going up against Baltimore, our second guy five or more
receptions each week this year, you got touchdowns in four

(14:37):
of six games. Keep it going against a bad Baltimore secondary.
As much as we love the team and you want
to put them on the metal stand and say, hey,
they're the best. Like now, that defense is still siev
like in certain junctures. How about a little justin Jefferson here,
it's a game where the over unders sitting at fifty one,
and I bring that up. It's going to show up

(14:57):
here the rest of the way in the hot play,
cold Soars and Ninjas, because we've got a couple that
you would put question marks, and that's the thing that
becomes the tiebreaker, as we've been using it for years
here on the podcast. Three games for Jefferson with at
least twenty fantasy points, you got the youthful secondary of
the Detroit Lions, and a curiosity in terms of how

(15:18):
much pressure they're going to be able to surmount upfront
with the loss of Hutchinson last week, the gruesome injury
we talked about earlier in the week that maybe it
gives Sam Darnold a little more opportunity to work down field.
I'm on rass Saint Brown touchdowns three straight. I know
the yardage totals haven't been quite what you want, only

(15:39):
twice as he's gone for at least seventy five, But
opportunities here, because you know the PPR side of things,
he's going to get his and again owing to that
fifty one total and maybe foreshadowing of our next little
venture here. And then finally, Dan, let's go dk Metcalf
going up against Atlanta fewer than eight fantasy points three

(16:00):
times this year, but he's got a twenty eight, He's
got a twenty and I think this is a game
that opens up which gives him opportunities.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
Once again, a lot of high over unders this week, Mike,
as you alluded to, that is one of them. That
Lions Vikings game also that you mentioned. Will be so
curious to see on if the Lions can get after
Sam Donald and the Vikings and possibly try to slow
Justin Jefferson because to your point, if they don't with
Aiden Hutchinson now gone for the season, that Max Crosby

(16:30):
talk is gonna gonna heat up. If you're the Lions,
you don't want you don't want to lose this game.
It's a road game. I know it could be understandable
if they lose, but the way that Minnesota's been rolling
without a defeat this year, yeah, you want to get
this one because if you get this one, it changes everything.
And if they don't get this one, who knows if
they'll be desperate or not. We shall see that they

(16:51):
hire top five wide receivers four Week seven in the
National Football League. Coming up next, Mike's got his hot plays,
cold Source and Ninja's hit him up bet Swelling Dome.
Find me at dan Byer on Fox. Our executive producer
is Ian Roddy. He will have your streaming defenses coming
up later in the show, but again the hot plays
next year, and I want your flex. Welcome back. I'm

(17:13):
Dan Byer, He's Mike Carmon it is. I want your
flex at Mike up at Swollen Dome. You'll find me
at dan Byer on Fox. We are now in our
middle section kind of as we enter the middle part
of the season. Mike would give you his hot plays,
cold soores and ninjas, the guys that didn't make the
lineups or make his rankings, I should say, but you
should get in your lineups. Those are the hot plays.

(17:35):
The cold stores are gonna be the players that you
don't want to play, you don't want anything to do
with because of a bad matchup or a bad situation.
And the Ninjas those sneaky plays. We'll get to those
a little bit later on in the segment. But Mike,
your hot plays for Week seven on the National Football League.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
All right, let's get it on. Let's start with Sam
Darnold talked about the other side of it, going up
against the Detroit Lions. They're only giving up sixteen fantasy
points a game to opposing quarterbacks, but coming out of
the bye week us expecting a little more from the
Vikings Sam Darnold to clean up some of the errors
and problems, even though they had a big win against

(18:09):
the Jets the last time we saw them. No Hutchinson
means time, time to operate and be curious to see
what the Detroit defense has, but certainly a young secondary
to go after in this one. Gino Smith going up
against Atlanta. He's the seventh highest fantasy quarterback thus far
Dan Bayer for your Seattle Seahawks, and you're looking at

(18:31):
an opportunity against Atlanta secondary that's had its issues a
little wobbly and no Tyler Lockett popped up on the
injury report on Thursday, so something to watch with the
knee injury, but deploying all those weapons, and for Gino,
we've had a pretty good run. You had a thirteen
point four and a fourteen point five, but we've hit

(18:51):
over twenty two times and an eighteen eighteen and a
half early on this season. So opportunity here for Gino
to keep Alie moving. Tank Bigsby we've been talking about him,
now we've spoken it into existence. Here's a reason to
watch and get up and watch that game from London. Okay,
he hit the snooze button. Look at the stats later,
but he's rested the job away, I think, or at

(19:13):
least a large portion of it from Travis etn who's
got a myriad injuries. Starting to look like the Wacky
Doctors game operation along the way. But you've seen Bigsby
have some success and here against New England spread the
I should say a total dan that. I'm a little
surprised that's at forty one and a half the last
I looked. How about that?

Speaker 3 (19:33):
Yeah, well it could have been twelve further way that
some of these teams have been playing, or those teams
have been playing as of late. But I don't know.
I like a little, I like a little put it
this way. I'll get to it later in my segment. Okay,
there's a little flavor coming up. I'll just leave it
at that.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
I'm with you. I think I think I might. I
might have the first dash of it before we're done here.
Tony Pollard against Buffalo, they give up new thirty Fantasy
points per game to opposing running backs. Opportunity from here.
I know Spears will be in the mix, but opportunity
tabout Tyler Goodson, who twelve touches sixty five yards. Jonathan
Taylor still banged up. You've got injuries there in that

(20:14):
Indianapolis backfield, and Miami third most generous to opposing running backs.
So this is the price shot for your daily fantasy play,
or if you're in a desperate mode because your running
back room has been depleted. Kareem Hunt going up against
San Francisco. Another week of working out as the number one,
and let's face it, they're gonna need some hot routes

(20:37):
to keep Bosa off of. Patrick Mahomes. Welcome back, Malik Neighbors.
We think head injury, growing injury, all of that stuff
going against Philly. If nothing else, we know we're getting
a high target count. Terry McLaurin going up against Carolina.
He's ranked twelve to amongst fantasy receivers thus far, three
efforts that go twenty eighteen to twenty three. Those are
three of his last four games. Dan so opportunity here,

(21:00):
Josh Downs. He's got all twenty five catchable balls thrown
his way the last three weeks going up against Miami
and then finally circle back to it, we bookend the quarterbacks.
Jared Goff's a guy. I don't know what to anticipate
the run. Game's been so good for Detroit, and golf
hasn't had to be a superhero. I think he might

(21:20):
need to this time out, or at least make an
attempt to. With that total at sitting at fifty one,
it's like taunting me, teasing me, saying, come get me
and bet on some of the principles here. Yeah, I'm
a sucker. I'll do it.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
I tell you what. When we talk about games of
the week, obviously forty nine Ers in Chiefs is on
that because it's the Super Bowl rematch. Of course, the
game of week seven, however, Lions Vikings just as good.
I think Raven's Buccaneers on Monday Night's gonna be fun.
So that we've got some we've got some good games.
We'll see if status quo keeps like it did from

(21:56):
week six into week seven. But yeah, I think that
we got some matchups, with that Vikings Alliance game being
one of those. One other point with the the names
that you were mentioning, and well, Anthony Richardson, you know,
back for the Colts. Interested to see how that works
out against the Dolphins, as you mentioned, Curious to see

(22:18):
where he goes. I don't think we can get anything
straight with the Colts injury wise, ever, because there's weeks
where Anthony Richardson is trending. Last week we had the
Michael Pittman scenario where there's a report that pops up
that he could miss multiple weeks and then he ends
up scoring a touchdown. Jonathan Taylor the last two weeks
have been reading angle, feels good, feels better, I feel

(22:39):
this and that, blah blah blah. It's just India is
a mess when it comes to injury. So half the
time I don't even know what to believe coming out
of Indianapolis.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
I agree, one hundred percent, gamesmanship is one thing. And
this is where we start getting into what's the letter
and spirit of what the NFL is trying to do
with the injury reports? Right because long ago we just chuckled.
Gambling was supposed to be at arm's length. Yet, why
why do we need an injury report otherwise?

Speaker 3 (23:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Right, otherwise you just play who shows up?

Speaker 3 (23:11):
Sure, I just I don't like I think that again, Like,
I mean, Flako has been Flako has been decent for me.
He hasn't been, you know, superstar, but he's been very good.
And he's gotten Fantasy wise, he's much more of a
prospect if you have other Colts than if you have
Anthony Richardson on your fantasy team. Obviously you're gonna pay
dividends for that. But all right, enough of Colts talk.

(23:33):
Let's get to the cold Soares. We'll change the t
to a D Mike your Cold Socores four Week seven.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
Big question of what we get team that we've seen
in a lot of the streamers. For for Ian Roddy,
our executive producer, will see if he comes up again.
C J. Stroud going up against Green Bay. This is
a game I honestly just it's forty seven and a
half is the total. Sure, So he's going to be
at the back end at the QB ones. That's where

(23:59):
I've got him ranked, is nice squarely at number ten,
but I have a giant question mark next to him
as to I don't know what to expect now. The
return of Joe Mixon last week, you start to unlock
things in the offense again, so I don't expect him
to be decimated. But it's one of those where it's
like if it went south, I wouldn't be shocked because

(24:20):
they're a team that at five and one, I'm still
not sold like they win the division because they're better
than everybody in the Yeah, but on the grand scale
how good they are, it hasn't looked nearly as crisp
as I think we would have been expecting coming out
of the gate.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
No, I agree with that aspect of it. I don't
know how much of it to do with Jill Mixon's injury,
non Nico Collins out. Maybe it's an opportunity for them
to straighten up in the second half of the year.
But yeah, you're right. I mean, even from out of
the gates. They won in Indianapolis in a tough division game.
We saw him not too much against your Bears, eked

(24:58):
out a win on that Sunday that affair got decimated
by the Vikings, So I can get it.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
I think I'm against the Jaguars that the game they
probably lost.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
Yeah, Bill's game they almost let, you know, slip through
their hands, So yeah, I get it. I get it.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
Of course, we're not talking regular football. We're trying to
figure out fantasy points. And one thing CJ. Stroud doesn't
do is give the football away, which is why he's
still at the back end of the ones. He's just
one of those cautionary tales. Check your backup and see
if what their matchup is and how disparate the splits
are there. Pat Mahomes going up against San Francisco, I

(25:34):
don't know if I'm just piling on, but again, another
game where I could see him. Suddenly the offense clicks
and you get a couple of jail break opportunities off
an extra attacker coming forward for the forty nine ers.
But you know, as we've seen, they're only giving up
seventeen fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. That's mid

(25:56):
just where Mahomes is ranked as a fantasy quarterback to date.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
You know, I'm I'm gonna say something, Okay, and this
is just complete a complete guess. We talk about the
schedules a lot. I wonder if the NFL was like, Okay,
Andy Reid, you're mister Andy Reid coming off of a
bye bit, let's see how it works when you go
on the road against the team that you played in

(26:21):
the Super Bowl. Yeah, I mean, this is this is
a funky, a funky out of a by matchup where
Andy Reid historically thirteen and one as the head coach
of the Eagles out of a bye eight and three
is the head coach of the Chiefs coming out of
a bye. So this would be your toughest matchup, if
you will, because the forty nine ers probably would have

(26:42):
some motivation. Again, doesn't make up for the fact last
year we saw the Eagles go to Kansas City and
win in a Super Bowl rematch. I'm wondering if those
NFL schedule years are like, huh, let's just let's really
put this theory to test. That's my conspiracy theory for us.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
Said, Yeah, that's a good one.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
You can put them in the headline of the two
whe ian You could be like, is the NFL trying
to screw with Andy Reid and the Chiefs so that
you can use that one for that one?

Speaker 2 (27:07):
Got it? And that game will be in your window. Yes,
so you're on red zone radio.

Speaker 3 (27:11):
Thought, yeah, only a three game window this weekend because
that one is such a such a marquee matchup.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Yeah, that'll be a good one. Absolutely, one and a half.
The spread I'm looking at here San Francisco, the narrow
home favorite, forty seven.

Speaker 3 (27:25):
The total, Yeah, interesting, fire it up, all.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
Right, briceall going up against Pittsburgh eighth best against the run.
I don't know that the arrival of DeVante Adams, whatever
role he has, it's intriguing. Does it suddenly fix everything?
Hell no, That offensive line is still terrible. So and
Brice Hall to this point a disappointment for fantasy owners.
I don't know that it gets much better here. He's

(27:48):
a mid number two for me this week. Tyrone Tracy,
We've gotten to love him the last couple of weeks.
Philadelphia is the opponent, but the split backfield is there,
So a little nervous says to what his upside here is,
particularly because let's face that the Giants don't score touchdowns.

(28:11):
So yeah, you know, so you know you lose part
of that workload and the finishing move has not yet
been completed. Talk about the fifty one a lot for
the Lions and Vikings, but this is one where I
think you're going to be desperately looking for just a
goal line plunge from David Montgomery to get you over Minnesota.

(28:33):
Second best against opposing running backs for fantasy purposes. Thus
thus far this season, I'm not looking for Montgomery to
suddenly have a big breakout and a pile of yards right.

Speaker 3 (28:44):
Oh, Ian cringing on the other side of.

Speaker 4 (28:46):
The breaking my heart right now. I've just been so
much on him in the Guillotine League.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
Well, I love it more than anybody except his family.
I've lamented his departure from Chicago ever since, well he
left for Detroit.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
But it's it's been. He's been gold touchdown, touchdown touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
He'll have one hundred and forty yards and three scores
to just spike me see all.

Speaker 4 (29:14):
That stuff on the internet of how it's like Jamier
Gabbs is like, hey, David, you think I could get
a red zone touch He just starts growling at him.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
And said, no, no, you can't. Red zone is where
I operate. So perhaps more of that, but this is
one again to hang a star on, and then two
guys where maybe it's just I'm just piling on George Pickens.
I just don't trust him. I don't care who's quarterbacking.
Like Troy Aikman went on a big rant on Dallas

(29:43):
radio against the effort of the Cowboys receivers. Figure, we
could just cut and paste and send that to our
friends in Pittsburgh and they can run with that as well.
And then Brandon Ayuk going back to that game against
Kansas City, there's a lot of mouths getting fed. Sure,
so the upside for him is one. I think the
ceiling's a bit lower.

Speaker 3 (30:05):
I have to take a look at chief second, the
Chiefs defense as a whole, one of the better ones
of the league. Juwan Jennings didn't practice on Thursday. Something
to watch in that scenario as well. For the forty
nine ers, Deebo Samuel limited on the Thursday practice, so
as was Jordan Mason. By the way, just to mention
that for lineups, still don't get a clear idea of

(30:27):
what's going to happen with those guys. All right, michae
let's get to the Ninjas for week seven.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
Well, do do we throw up Guarendo as a potential
guy because of the injury to Jordan Mason?

Speaker 3 (30:37):
Then maybe I don't. But the seventy six yard jail
break I think distorted a lot yep, But.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
Yeah, it's more for the idea of check to see
whether it's picked up, because that's just it, right, the
overall total skewed. I mean, it counts just the same.
And when we look at it, Dan it we we
start getting into this part of the season where it's
about opportunity. Yes, and it all becomes does Mason play
or not? Because if correct, then all right, we're gonna

(31:08):
get a double digit touch count. What he does with it,
I have no idea because it is against a great defense.

Speaker 3 (31:15):
Yes, And the point, the point that I was making
was when you look at what Isaac Grenda did against
the Seahawks, Seventy six of his ninety nine yards were
on that one run where the Seahawks were saying we
need to stop. They can't get a first down. So
that breakthrough yep.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Sell out.

Speaker 3 (31:34):
Yes, absolutely, So that's where the distortion happens. But yeah,
to your point, if he's gonna be the guy, then
go ahead. I don't know, maybe maybe Patrick Taylor could
be you know something, but I think at some point
you're gonna have diminishing returns. Wasn't as much with Jordan Mason.
But we also forget that Elijah Mitchell is also a

(31:54):
part of this. He just hasn't been healthy. So when
we're talking about Grendo and these other guys, it's fourth
and fifth string running backs that we're talking about.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
Yep, next man up, YEP. Behind Williams and whatever the
rest of that offense.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
Well, Deepo was healthier, I think they'd probably use him
even more, you know. I mean he had four carries
against the Seahawks. They've been known to do that as well.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
Yeah, I think for him, they're also just kind of
metering it out right as much as it's assumed he's
gone at the end of the year. You can't chew
him up in week six, no, or week seven. You're
gonna need him in January, and you're gonna need all
the any wrinkle that you have that you could keep
in your back pocket until then.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
You kind of need to absolutely, Yeah, where are the
other Ninjas that we got?

Speaker 2 (32:38):
All right? I about Drake Man going up against Jacksonville.
Looking again, that secondary has been terrible thus far and
pass rush hasn't been there. Look, he's going to keep
firing so uh season worse thus far. The Jaguars giving
up twenty four fantasy points per game Dalton against Washington.

(32:59):
Like we've we've talked a lot about the Commanders and
what they do in terms of their performance. That means
I'll will grab Legette as well as a deep play
Deontay Johnson maybe trying to audition to get him self
traded here Kansas City, look at me, look at me.
But he's a guy that I think is a back

(33:20):
end one in this matchup against the Washington secondary ty
Chandler Aaron Jones. Will keep an eye on him going
up towards game time. But going up against Detroit again
the high score, looking at opportunity. Everybody plays, he everybody wins.
Austin Eckler going up against Carolina. You know we've got Robinson,
will be back, but still looking at the opportunity here

(33:41):
as a receiver in this one for Washington. That's sitting
at fifty one and a half in Washington, better than
a touchdown. Favorite McConkey for the Chargers going up against Arizona. Yah,
his name's lad. They've been pretty generous. That's a Monday
night affair, folks. We got a double Monday night affair

(34:03):
for those that haven't made that connection yet. How about
Cooper Cup If he's gonna play, they're gonna feed him.
He ain't coming back just to wave at people.

Speaker 3 (34:12):
Yes, and again the Rams did not put him on
injured reserve. So this was the game that they have
been targeting him to come back, because he's only missed
three games with the injury, so if he doesn't play,
it's kind of a fail on the Rams part, especially
for a team that had their buy last.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
Week exactly all right. Lastly, a couple of tight ends
just because we're finding some We need to find replacements
for Comet and Ferguson this week on the bye. And
then obviously injuries killed this position at times. Dalton Schultz
going up against Green Bay. They've been the third most
generous to opposing teams at the tight end position. And

(34:47):
then Calcaterra, Yeah, four for four sixty seven yards against Cleveland.
Goddard still questionable with the hamstring injury.

Speaker 3 (34:56):
There they are your ninjas to go along with the
gold Soares hot plays four Week seven in the National
Football League. Hit Mica up at Swollenome. You can find
me at Dan Byer on Fox. Ian Roddy chimes in
with his streaming defenses. Plus I give you a little
information as well. With again some of that let's just
say London's calling. We'll use that bad phrase and overuse

(35:20):
it and beat into the ground. We'll do that next year.
And I want your flex putting the finishing touches. On
our Week seven preview, Mike has given you all the
rankings and hot plays and cold soares. Now the tables
will turn. Myself and our executive producer, Ian Roddy will
give you information that you need to know. Ian supplies

(35:40):
his streaming defenses. Ian, who do you like in week
Lucky number seven?

Speaker 4 (35:45):
All right, So let me preface this with the fact
that I would have liked to have chosen the Bengals
as one of my defenses, but as of today, they're
rostered in about seventy percent of leagues, so worth checking
if they're out there. They're playing the Browns, who have
just been a gold mine for defenses, So if the
Bengals are available, I'd recommend going for that one. But

(36:08):
I came with two defenses that probably are going to
be available in most leagues, first of them being the
Los Angeles Rams, only rostered in six point two percent
of leagues on ESPN right now, they're playing against the Raiders.
The Raiders, they're I think they're going to be rolling
out Aid and O'Connell. That's who they're planning on sticking with.
He or Gardner Minshew. It doesn't really matter to me.

(36:29):
They're both viable to put the ball in harm's way
because Raiders qbs the two of them, they've combined for
six touchdowns to seven interceptions on the year. So I
like the Rams going up against them as even though
the Rams themselves don't have a great real life defense,
I like it for fantasy just because the Raiders themselves
are prone to mistakes.

Speaker 3 (36:49):
Yeah, second trip for the Raiders already to LA this
year because they opened up against the Chargers and now
get that trip against the Rams are again. It won't
be as a home game as much as it is
for the Chargers. This is not Chargers smack, but still
we expect a heavy, heavy Raider presence in LA for
sure on Sunday. See if Matthew Stafford can silence them

(37:11):
and have that Rams defense step up to the plate
as well. Who's the other defense he got?

Speaker 4 (37:15):
The other one's the Jacksonville Jaguars. So they're oh yeah, yeah,
a lot spicy, right, they're spicy right there. They're only
roster in twenty percent of league, so also likely to
be available. But they're playing the Patriots, who you know,
it's a little a little risky with Drake May because
we don't know what we're getting with him, but he

(37:35):
is a rookie quarterback. He threw two interceptions last week. Again,
it makes you a little nervous because he's probably gonna
be hucking at downfield a lot, which means big play
potential for the Patriots, but also big turnover potential for
the defense. So hope a few of those go your way.
And the Patriots also have taken sacks at the second
highest rate in the league this season, so a lot

(37:56):
of sacks coming hopefully. Oh and and one more thing.
The Jackar have been in London all week. The Patriots
have to fly over there, which is actually a pretty
underrated factor in all this.

Speaker 3 (38:05):
Yes, the Patriots flying over on Thursday. They also, I'm
likely want to Ramandre Stevenson. I'd be surprised if they
did so. That could add to the workload on Drake
May's shoulders. Point was that one battle of one in
five teams Patriots and Jaguars in London, our final London

(38:27):
game of the year. One more international game coming up
in a couple of weeks with the Panthers and Giants.
I will say this, I'm flying in the face of
Ian Roddy with the Jaguars. Mike, you had Drake May
as a ninja. I have the Mario Douglas as my
Oasis tribute of the week.

Speaker 2 (38:46):
Oh let's go.

Speaker 3 (38:46):
Yeah, I needed to do it because of Oasis, because
of the London game, the whole UK England field. We're
going with it. We are rolling with the Mario Douglas,
the Patriots receiver who has racked up targets over the
last couple of weeks, and there should be some real
estate against Jacksonville. But yeah, we are rolling with the

(39:08):
Mario Douglas because the Oasis song of the week is
roll with it, So roll with Douglas going against the
Jags in London.

Speaker 2 (39:15):
Let's go. Yes, Hey, we got to have a reason
to watch that game. We celebrate all to seventy two,
Let's go.

Speaker 3 (39:21):
And it provides some friction here on. I want your flex.
Ian's rooting for his You're rooting for Drake May, I'm
rooting for to Mario Douglas. It's all good in this one.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
So one week I love the Drake, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (39:32):
I love the Drake. I think there'll be other weeks
that we love the Drake. The Patriots are what a
five and a half point dog I thought I saw
at six. Now yeah, around around that point. I think
they can keep it close and then who knows what
we'll We'll see. Not my recommendation for Survivor. Last week
was a chalk week for Survivor. We talked about it

(39:53):
on the program. Every favorite team except one won their
game straight up. Last week. That was the Titans, who
were a slight, slight favorite over the Indianapolis Colts. Do
I expect status quo to continue in Week seven? Not exactly,
but I feel that we now get a little bit
of a sense of who is who in the league.

(40:15):
And you'd be stupid not to take Buffalo if you
have it already. With Tennessee coming to town. I know
it's a short week with the Bills playing on Monday
Night football, but at least they got to win, so
you got some good feelings. It's not a long trip
from New York to Buffalo. Tennessee's got to go there.
I'll give you a slightly different ones if you don't

(40:36):
want to go obvious, guys, I actually like the Colts
against the Dolphins. We know Tua's coming back at some point,
so whether it be Flacco or whether it be Anthony Richardson.
Indy's a three point favorite. They're probably not a lot
of opportunities to use Indianapolis down the road, so why
not use him this week in a game against the Dolphins,
who again we expect to be shorthanded because just of

(40:58):
Noah Tua at quarterback.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
Good spot, good opportunity that'll dry up eventually.

Speaker 3 (41:04):
In a game that nobody will really watch. And finally,
my points at Palooza because of all of the high
over unders that we've had this week, Mike, you talked
about the Lions and Vikings, the Ravens and Bucks is
a high one, Commanders, Panthers, a lot of ones hovering
around fifty or just over fifty. I'm gonna go with
the funky one Eagles Giants, Okay, and the reason being

(41:28):
division opponents. I just think your Saquon Barkley thing is
so on. I think that the Eagles will try to
feed them, especially after last week and not being able
to break through and have a great offensive game like
they would have hoped. I think Barkley does, and I
just think the the having the leak neighbors back is
going to do wonders for the Giants. So I expect

(41:50):
the Eagles and Giants to have some fun. We've seen
wacky games with these two teams before in the Meadowlands.
I'm predicting another kind of crazy one despite a low
over under it only what forty two and a half.

Speaker 2 (42:03):
I love the opportunity right offense got healthy for Philly.
We'll get those receivers back in talked about AJ Brown
was just on the outside looking in on the top fives.
And when we look at the Giants, there's a bunch
of near misses. I know the data has been terrible
for their home efforts, particularly in primetime. Well this one

(42:24):
is not so. Opportunity here again then a divisional battle.

Speaker 3 (42:28):
And that's the other portion of it, because we have
that bad taste in our mouth from Sunday night and
watching them, and the same thing with the Eagles. How
about they flip the script and provide some excitement on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (42:38):
Oh, let's go from your lipstick the football God's ears.

Speaker 3 (42:42):
Just expect more points than you normally would. If we
get a good old thirty one to twenty seven game,
I'm calling it a winner victory absolute there, it is
all right, Your Bears are on by, So what is
the weekend, hold Mike for you.

Speaker 2 (42:57):
Well, Saturday running around with kids as best I can
when keeping an eye on college football, and Sunday, I mean,
I'm in the chair five to seven am Pacific. Jason
fits with me. As Bucky Brooks has to go and
work that Jacksonville, New England game. I can't wait to
talk to him what he's done with that sojourn. But

(43:17):
getting to hang out in London is not the worst
of things in life. But then the rest of the
day watching games, maybe dialing up a little Fox Sports
radio to hear you and carry break it down in
the afternoon two to five Pacific time, give him an
ear as you will. Otherwise, I usually nap for as

(43:38):
as soon as there's a window in a big game
that's supposed to be a quote big game in a window,
I'll be like, all right, there's my hour nap, and
then I get up and I power through the night
because I can't wait to watch the Jets and Steelers.
I gotta be honest with you, Well.

Speaker 3 (43:53):
I was gonna ask Ian, do you have your DeVante
Adams jersey yet?

Speaker 4 (43:58):
I don't, But I have a Sauce Gardner jersey, which
is just one, so I could technically make some green
duct tape make a seven there next to it.

Speaker 3 (44:06):
Yeah, I think you could the gardener like you can
make an a at the Egan.

Speaker 2 (44:10):
Turn and get created there.

Speaker 3 (44:14):
Absolutely. Uh it could be the return of Russell Wilson
under center for the Steelers.

Speaker 4 (44:19):
So yeah, that'll be a game to watch for sure.

Speaker 2 (44:21):
Tell you the most honest I think I've ever heard
anybody at potentially losing their job. Justin Fields could have
been better? What am I gonna do?

Speaker 3 (44:32):
Oh man, Richard Marxis should have known better? Justin Fields
could have.

Speaker 2 (44:37):
Done nicely done. There you go, the man with the
lions made to close it out.

Speaker 3 (44:42):
Yes, yes, I am a repeat offender when it comes
to that jokes all right, So for Ian, Roddy and
Mike Carmen will end on that note. I'm Dan Byer.
Good lucky week seven. We'll talk to you next week
here and I want your flex
