joy down in my heart.

Speaker 5 (00:51):
My no nos, they're saying yes yes, like everything right
now just feels good. We're the three best friends that
anyone have had the check your hangover references.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
It feels like the three amigos.

Speaker 5 (01:01):
We should be doing some weird you know, dress up
crotch dances like that. There's just there is no limit
to the amount of excitement I feel right now, My friend.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Well, I share that with you. We missed him greatly,
more than he ever knows, more than he would ever know.
As our man Figgy Kevin figures back from peterr to
leave hanging with us. It picked a perfect weekend too,
which is an epic, epic sports weekend.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Fig. We love you, buddy, I.

Speaker 6 (01:33):
Love you guys. Missed you guys as well. At I'm
verklempt at the moment, I really am. You know, Obviously
it was a great time. I was being able to
spend some time with my son. I wouldn't trade that
for the world, but I definitely there was definitely a
piece of me missing not being along with you guys
here on the fellas. And even though I have not
been here, I've been keeping tabs, so I have been
listening here and there, you know, keeping up with what's

(01:55):
going on. I know you guys are not fans of Grimace.
You guys are more of Mayor mccheese people. I know
Fitzi's fitness journey is a big thing and he's killing
it amazingly, which I love is. As someone who's a
former fat person myself and had a fitness journey, I'm
glad that we're doing that. I know Couz is not
big into the fru frough coffee because he's doing the
intermittent fasting I picked up on that a few weeks ago.

(02:16):
FITZI is all decked out in Halloween. This is his
time of year. So I'm happy to be back. I'm
glad to be back in the mix.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Man, We love your brother. How's the baby.

Speaker 6 (02:26):
The baby's great, He's he's healthy, he's happy, he's amazing.
You know, Like I said, I wouldn't trade the experience
with being with him over these past eight weeks for
anything in the world. So I know, back in the day,
it wasn't necessarily a thing, especially for fathers to be
able to spend time with their children away from work
in that capacity. I'm glad that it is now, and

(02:46):
I'm glad that I was able to do that because
it was truly an amazing experience.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Amn. You know, things evolve, and you know, I think
most things are good. Some things aren't, but you know,
most things are better, and that is one of the
things that is better that you know, fathers get to
have this experience as bonding, you know. You know, I
talk about my boys all the time, and you know,

(03:11):
the whole thing fake. So I'm thrilled that you've got
that opportunity. And you know, listen, you know your your job.
You got a lot more to go.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
So exactly, you just trust me. You're right, you know.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
But it's great to have that initial bonding and for
sure to help out the family and everything else. But
I will tell you we love your buddy. I heard
your voice, and like FITZI I don't usually say the
joy joys like my brother, and I will say that
I smiled the ear to ear hearing your voice. Buddy.

Speaker 6 (03:44):
Oh well, the feeling is mutual. Now that I'm back,
the band is back together again, so let's get to it.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
Wait, wait, wait, one one big question.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
Now that you've had some time to bond, do we
decide maybe that you know, to include the words Jason
and Anthony in the name, like we had some time
to rethink some things, like you know, it's it's Anthony
comes from a culture where you can have like seventy
two names, so let's.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Just just starting. You know what. It's just so complicated.

Speaker 6 (04:08):
You got Social Security involved in birth certificated later, you know,
really complicated.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
You had you had time all, you know, I thought
maybe we were on the same level, but apparently Anthony
were not.

Speaker 6 (04:20):
You know what, I have to Anthony, as you know,
I have to get that approved with the Missus.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
I can't just arbitrarily make that decision. So ye set
up assume, So we'll take care of this perfect perfect
You've got some exchange information. Yeah, we're in.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Let's let fifty and I talk to the missus. We
love it, absolutely love it. Uh, it's awesome. This is
an incredible reunion. So we're very excited this morning. Our
producer Brianna Mighty Mark, the whole crew back together, and
it is a perfect week to be back together because
this is one of the great football weekend's, great sports

(04:59):
weekend Baseball and NBA starting this week. But it's just
an amazing weekend of matchups between Texas and Georgia and
Alabama Tennessee, I mean nebrask Indiana, Big New kickoff, and
tomorrow is an epic day in the NFL with Lions

(05:20):
and Vikings and Niners and Chiefs and Eagles, Giants, Pittsburgh Jets.
There's I'm leaving them a bunch out, but we'll get
to them all because it's an epic, epic weekend.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
Finci, you left out Raiders Rams.

Speaker 5 (05:36):
I think that was the one that was really just
on the tip of your.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Target Raiders Rams.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Yes, and look, this weekend is so good for once.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
I'm not even yelling about, you know, a London game
and Monday night doubleheader. Like I just there's too much
joy this week to have anything less than that when
you look at some of these matchups, do we haven't. Frankly,
it starts today, I think when you start talking about
what whatever, people want to yell about what was wrong
with college football this year with the change that came,
I just keep thinking about we are in a season

(06:07):
where we've already had Alabama Georgia and now we have
Georgia Texas and this ain't going anywhere. Like the fact
is I would love to sit here and say this
is the biggest game of the year, but the fact
is this is one of many huge games in a
year that's going to give us even more huge games.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
You look across the board.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
This is what you get when you start combining all
of these conferences into big mega conferences.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
It's one of the joys of it. So I just
I love what we've got.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
This weekend, and I love how it starts today with
what is a really interesting matchup for two teams in
Texas and Georgia that have so so much on the
line with it.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
It's it's great. It's amazing.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Yeah, it really is.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
I don't know what anybody would why people would have
a problem with college football. I think it's it's the
greatest right now. I think it's at it's eight pex
It's only getting better. Man, this is unbelievable. And look,
there's just great football last night that b YU. I
don't know if you saw BYU Oklahoma State. I stayed up.

(07:10):
I couldn't go to bed. I mean, you know, we
did it early on the East coast and you just
never end on the West coast, and you know, I
don't know, FITZI, but I couldn't that game. I was
riveted to that game.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
I'm just I'm a little shook. Like the world is changing.

Speaker 5 (07:27):
It's flipped on its axis. Figure, you missed something because
apparently I become the baseball guy in the show. It's
a responsibility. But you know, I was sitting with friends
and we were absolutely in on every single pitch last night,
So like I didn't The BYU game was one of
those things where I saw the score and I was like, huh,

(07:48):
I more than saw the game, So there's a couple
of highlights.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
No, I was in on all the baseball actions like.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
This, Well, I'm going to get to baseball.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
This is cats and dogs living together, mass hysteria. What's
going on?

Speaker 7 (07:58):
There?

Speaker 4 (07:58):
We go?

Speaker 3 (07:59):
Yeah, was a movie quote to last week.

Speaker 6 (08:02):
That's a movie quote that you know their fits there
you go, I'll sell yourself short.

Speaker 5 (08:06):
That is I'm sitting here wearing a Ghostbuster shirt at quote.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
That's an amazing thing. But no, it is.

Speaker 5 (08:14):
It is pretty incredible because I was, I was joking
with the people that I was hanging out with it.
I never would have thought that I'd be sitting there
on a Friday night saying, hey, what what.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
What do we like? Where are we at with? We
only had one TV available, so there was no conversation.
There was no question. We knew what we were watching.

Speaker 5 (08:29):
So I'm a little bit I'm a little bit shaken
that I'm the seam head now on this show. Thank you,
You're welcome.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
I appreciate that, brother, I do. I do. The baseball
was scintillating. Man. First, let's go to it. Figure y,
you're Dodgers. I mean, look, they're still going to win
this series. You know these Mets. You never know, so
I don't want to get completely but there was a

(08:56):
point last night it was bizarre. My buddy text me
is is that eight to one is that Mets or Dodgers? Know? Man,
it's the Mets. Like they jumped out on Flattererty, which
was really shocking to me that they jumped out on him. Man,
they just they wrecked him. Yeah, right from the start.

Speaker 6 (09:17):
The more shocking thing for me at least, and it's
the narrative for a lot of Dodger fans, is that
they allowed Flarity to stand out there and just get shelled.
And Dave Roberts basically said, we did want to use
our high leverage relievers. We know we had a bullpen
game set up for Game six and we didn't want
to burn through them on Friday night, So we want
us to try to get get him to get as
many pitches as many outs as he possibly could, and

(09:38):
then use low leverage guys. But I mean at that
point in time, look, I mean, it's the postseason. He
can't give games away. By the way, he was criticized
for basically giving Game two away for kind of using
that same strategy when a guy gets sheld and you
just leave him out there.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
You know, it's different if it's July. Is the postseason.

Speaker 6 (09:54):
You can't give playoff games away, regardless of how confident
you might feel. So really not to take anything a
from the metsos a must win game and they've had
their backs against the wall for three months, I mean,
left alone, you know, just the postseason. They had to
fight just to get into the playoffs. So I don't
want to take anything away from what they did. But
I mean you knew from the first inning Flarity didn't
have it and they were just teeing off on the guy.

(10:16):
How you could allow him to stay in there, to
allow eight runs really falls as It's a misstep on
the coaching staff and Dave Roberts and the managerial staff
more so than I would it criticized Flarity, who you know, aunt,
some Knights guys just don't have it.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
It happens, and you got to see it and early
like you're right, Like, I mean you knew it. I mean, cheese,
they were just getting hacked. I mean they were just
destroying baseballs. The weird thing was it was ten six
when betsit the home run, right, it was ten six
and I'm like, they were going to come back and
win the game.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
Didn't you have that feeling or if you're a Mets fan, yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Yeah, I swore they were going to come back and
win the game, and that there was a big run
that the Mets added in the bottom of six. Kind
of get to momento back a little bit, but it
really was. And then I don't know about you guys,
but my heart goes out to Cleveland.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
It just does.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Like one day the day before, they had this unbelievable
I mean, one of the greatest comeback wins that you'll
ever see. Right like, they give up the lead class
a their incredible closer, gives up a judge and home
run to tie it, and then another one to stand

(11:32):
then attack on and then they Cleveland gets a leadoff
runner on, then a double play, and then and then
somehow runner and big Christmas and Noel hits, Noell hits
a home run, and then you know, Fry wins it
and extra innings and it was just an unbelievable game.

(11:54):
And then you come back and you come back again
and you're tidy. Yeah, like we got tible and then
you boot the ball around. Ah, it's torture. It is.

Speaker 5 (12:08):
But I've so a couple of things on this that
were interesting to me. One last night is that most
series over the time, over the course of a series,
start to have a common thread, something you can look
at and say, hey, this is the difference in this series.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
That series is so far it's just mass chaos.

Speaker 5 (12:23):
To say that again, it is there is no moment
here where I look at and say, hey, here is
the thing. Because of the way Cleveland came back, and
then because of the way the game ended last night,
I just feel like this is just an arbitrary grouping
of games rather than a series. I've decided it's an
arbitrary grouping of games. But also it's amazing how we've
gotten to this point in one or two app ats
tell all of the story of each individual game, not

(12:43):
of the whole series.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
So it's it's just to me, it was.

Speaker 5 (12:46):
Kind of wild last night just watching in the moment,
even at the very end of the game, I still
thought the Yankees were gonna choke. I thought that there
was gonna be an error. I didn't know that they
were going to get that throw out. It just felt
it felt sloppy, It felt weird and it, but it
also felt beautiful.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
So I gotta give the Yankees credit for winning last night.

Speaker 5 (13:02):
That was a gutsy performance, if you want to say
it that way. But man, I just I can't get
a read on this any rhythm on the series.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
Maybe it's so deep into the postseason that doesn't matter.
You just win however you can.

Speaker 6 (13:12):
But if you're Cleveland or the Yankees, can you really
feel confident either way? I mean, both of your bullpens
have have been terrible. Yeah, I mean, I mean Cleveland's
relied on People talk about the Dodger bullpen games.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
I mean Cleveland, they've.

Speaker 6 (13:25):
Been bullpen gaming their way all the way through the
last month and a half of the season. You know,
they don't they don't have any quality starters. Everything is
a bullpen game for them for the most part. And
for the Yankees, which was a strength early in the season,
they're kind of falling apart of the seams too.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
You really have no confidence whatsoever the last.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
Six innings, I know, and even even their starting pitching, yeah,
I mean, I'll be cold. And even colesn hasn't been
himself or what he was. I mean, you know, I
expected a little bit more out of Gill last night.
I guess yeah. And the Yankees bullpen is shaky. Yeah,
It's just it's a ship God to tell you. Like

(14:01):
like I'm rooting I was rooting Cleveland because of the
baseball guy, like you know, like just sports.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
That town needs a break.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
I mean, the town just needs a break man, like
I as a fellow sports geek nerd whatever you want
to do, like I I think like that town needs
some needs some joy man. And when they when Big
Christmas hits the home run and that place went wild,
like it was wild. I mean, how could you not

(14:33):
root for them?

Speaker 4 (14:34):
Well, I think every but most of America is fair
to be fair.

Speaker 5 (14:39):
I The crazy thing to me is and the Yankees
talked about it after the last game that confidence.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
Really sort of hit him.

Speaker 5 (14:45):
Once they started to get some success against the relievers,
they realized everybody was human and gave them a little
bit of confidence.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
Confidence is a weird thing. It's just a weird thing.
Momentum is a weird thing.

Speaker 5 (14:55):
And I don't like right now the Yankees have that
because they are in well to do something that nobody
thought they'd be able to do, and getting some hits
off these relievers. So I don't know, I think confidence
is kind of an interesting part of this, this conversation.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
I mean, right now, Carle, are you kidding me? Like, well,
that's the that's the story of the series that he
has awoken, you know, I mean he's he was like
a love Yeah. Yeah, you want to talk about being
a buried I mean Stanton was buried. He's he's carried

(15:30):
them in this series.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
It's incredible.

Speaker 6 (15:33):
And then talk about, you know, loss of confidence in
someone who's fallen off and he's not a couple of postseasons.
Now is class A the guy who's been like the
the standard bearer as far as reliever, is the best
reliever in the game the last couple of seasons, and
he's just not gotten it done for whatever reason. Now,
maybe they've relied on him too much. I don't know,
but you know, usually, I mean, this guy is the

(15:54):
He's not Mariano Rivera or you know anybody like that,
but I mean, as of right now, he's the best.
If you talk about the closer in baseball, he's in
that conversation, if not head and shoulders above everybody else.
But when it matters most he has not been able
to come through for this team.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
So I was talking to a buddy of mine. I
was telling Fitsy about So I've been doing this this
MLB playoff daily kind of hit digital hit, and I
do it with David Siggie.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
Do you remember David cigg Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
So Segi's an old friend of mine from he was
one of the Mets, the and the.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
Indians and the Mariners.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
I mean, he was all a Blue Jays. I mean,
Seg played for like fifteen years. He knows. He's an
amazing baseball man, like the Newance of the Game's father
was Diego Sega, Diego Diego Cigi, who was a terrific pitcher. Anyway,
his belief, and it made a lot of sense, is
that when Classe gets in there, he is adrenaline pumping,

(16:52):
and so he's overthrown with just a little bit. And
when you overthrow, you know, listen, he throws the obviously
he one O two, right, but the flast when he
throws his fastball that flattens out when he overthrows it.
And his breaking ball when you overthrow it, you don't

(17:12):
get enough bite and then you catch more of the zone.
So he was like, dude, he goes, he's got to
he goes. In fact, I would tell him to slow
it down because it's not like you're gonna go from
one o two to you know, ninety two. You're gonna
go from one o two to ninety eight ninety nine,
and your breaking stuff will have more bite to it, right,

(17:33):
he fixed, it's all about the postseason. That adrenaline that
kicks in that makes him overthrow.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
Gets a little too amped up.

Speaker 6 (17:41):
Well, you talk about the people that have the most
success in baseball are the ones who are.

Speaker 3 (17:44):
Gonna stay even keeled.

Speaker 6 (17:46):
Yeah, it's it's a game of emotion, but I mean
you also, your emotion can get the best of you
and you can get Jack Flaherty talked about it, you know,
after getting you know, after the game, he said he
the game's sped up on him because then you start
pressing and you start doing things that you don't usually do,
whether it's throwing harder than usual, or you know, you're
trying to put a little bit extra on your breaking
ball and it hangs up or bounces in the dirt.

(18:06):
You know, I can see that absolutely happening with class A,
who is a very emotional player. You know, it makes
all the sense in the world. And I mentioned Mariano
who was cooler than he was under pressure. He never emoted. Yeah,
it did, It didn't matter. You know, some of the
all time greats they did. They went out there, they
did their job, their job, and they you know, walked
off into the dugout ready for the next game. And

(18:28):
I don't know if that's something that you can teach
out of someone like class A is the issue.

Speaker 3 (18:33):
Now.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
It's a great point, it really is.

Speaker 6 (18:35):
It's one of those things that might be an asset
for him for you know, from April until September, but
then it could actually work against them, you know, once
you hit the postseason.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
Yeah, no, it's a great point. All right, we got
lots to do. I mean, this is just an incredible weekend.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Man.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
The matchups this weekend, I can't I can't wait. I'm
telling you, well, Georgia and Texas and Aliba in Tennessee
we all get started, big new kickoff on Fox. Huskers
and were the Huskers hoodie as we speak.

Speaker 6 (19:07):
Yeah, who would have thought you'd be looking for it
to Nebraska Indiana in football, I know, for any sports.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
To be honest with you, yeah, volleyball. Yeah right, it's unreal.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Yeah yeah, I can't wait. We got all kinds of
great stuff at the NFL cards. Ridiculous. Uh, stay with
us all morning. We're gonna go through it all and
you're gonna hear the three Geek of Egos. We're back,
Lovn't it. Fella is hanging right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 8 (19:37):

Speaker 2 (19:51):
Fellas from the tai Iraq dot com studios. Figure, you
gotta send those pictures to uh FITZI No, I just
got a I just got a couple of photos. I
you know what, I didn't do the three way to
violation on me group chat. Yeah, I didn't do the

(20:13):
group chat. I I just text him. I was like, ah,
my brother, great to have you back, right. And I
should have did the group text.

Speaker 5 (20:21):
What do you find out that you're not in the
group text and there's only three people in the group.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
And no, it was not a it was not a
what you call it. It was just an oversight. It
trusts me. Come on, brother, you're the greatest man we know.
You know that.

Speaker 5 (20:36):
So anybody out there wants to put me in the
group threads.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
So it which is why I'm bringing it up. I
was like, because it was it was an error on
my on my uh on my part. And I was like,
you got to send those pictures to the baby. The
baby's ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (20:59):
Pictures. I'm telling you, it's been a joy having you back.

Speaker 5 (21:04):
Sorry that we're losing it because that you need to
go become a baby agent now, like just go out
there and get get you know, print work, ad work,
Let's go let's you know, for small management fee. I
think the Fellaws might just become, you know, a baby
management company perhaps.

Speaker 6 (21:20):
And that's nice of both of you to say, but
you might have some competition because Breed said this to
me about a month and a half ago.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
Is that my wrong Breed, No, one hundred percent.

Speaker 9 (21:31):
I met I met him Oliver, and I was like,
I need to represent you.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
I will.

Speaker 9 (21:36):
I will follow you through whatever you need to go through.
We will Gerbers Carters everything, Abber Cromber baby. I mean,
I am ready to go. I'm I'm ready to quit
both of my jobs and just to represent Oliver figures
right now.

Speaker 5 (21:54):
Ah, look, this should happen, This should be a reality.

Speaker 4 (21:58):
Simply, I've got a buzz that I went to high
school with.

Speaker 5 (22:01):
It was in all the Kenner Toys commercials as like,
like with all the talk constructs and everything. Like he
did all that stuff when he was really little. Didn't
even know that he was doing anything that different. It's
just like he just did commercials with his spare time. Man,
when we got to high school, he was doing a
lot better than I was. I'm just saying, like, you know,
there's a whole method to this madness here.

Speaker 4 (22:19):
Let's go.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
Yeah, I'm with you talking about n I lust.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
That's the move I think Breach should I think Breech
should do. Uh it should?

Speaker 2 (22:32):
It should represent Oliver and Fitzy because now Fitzy shredded right,
all right, So Fitzy should be doing all kaikes of commercials,
you know, like we run the eugenics commercials right, Like
that's Fitsy.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
Walking out of the gym, right, what's the matter with you?

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Man?

Speaker 3 (22:50):
How come your workout stock?

Speaker 6 (22:51):
Fitsy has Frank Thomas tucked under one arm and Doug
Fluties thrown over the other shoulder.

Speaker 4 (22:56):
Yeah, I'm benching Frank Thomas.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
There you go.

Speaker 4 (22:59):
I wish I could. I wish he could.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
That's fantastic, Hey, dude's favor because I got in trouble
when you were gone because I was blowing off updates.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
I might have heard a little birdie tell me something
about that. It's quite all right.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
So especially when they were six minute updates.

Speaker 6 (23:21):
Well, you know, I'll I'll try to see if I
can keep it slightly shorter.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
We'll see what we can do here.

Speaker 6 (23:26):
Go back to Major League Baseball fro Friday, and I'll
talk about the Yankees getting that three to one series
lead in the ALCS after they pick up an eight
to six victory over the Guardians on Friday night. Now,
they blew a sixty two lead, but scored two runs
off of Emmanual class A in the top of the
ninth inning. They are one win away from their first
World Series birth since two thousand and nine. Now at
the NLCS, it was Game five on Friday. The Mets

(23:49):
really beat up on Jack Flaherty eight earned runs and
three innings of work. It would end up with a
twelve to six victory, forcing a Game six in Los
Angeles that will take place on Sunday Nights. College football
on Friday, second ranked Oregon all over Perdue thirty five
to nothing. A couple of touchdown passes there for Dilliyan
Dylan Gabriel. They improved to seven and oh number thirteen

(24:09):
by you, also seven to zero. After a victory over
Oklahoma State thirty eight to thirty five.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
Duke six and one of the season.

Speaker 6 (24:16):
They beat Florida State twenty three to sixteen for Fresno
State with a victory over Nevada.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
Back to the Fellas, all right, that's where the Fellas come,
be alive from the tire rack dot Com Studios StatesOn
fits Anthony Gargano. Of course, Kevin figures, alright, FITZI let's
get started with football because it is epic, and let's
start with Alabama Tennessee, all right, because this one it

(24:48):
really captivates me. And I'll be honest with you. I mean, obviously,
Texas and George is ridiculous. I don't know how to
look in this game. This one has me completely confused.
I tell you, off the bat, I like Texas later
on tonight, but the Alabama Tennessee game, I'm struggling with that.
Will you ever read on it.

Speaker 5 (25:09):
Now, and I think what's been really interesting is early
on in the season, Tennessee I kept saying to me
was a national championship contender because they were flying to
the ball on the defensive side of the ball. I
really really loved where their defense was. And you look
at Nico Yama Liava and you're like, Okay, this is
he's gonna have a moment, but it's gonna be great. Well,
they lose a game where he had a moment and

(25:29):
he just didn't. He played like a kid at that point,
and you sort of forgive that, but I can't forgive
how tough it's looks. Since then, there hasn't been this
reawakening post weird ending of the game that they lost.
So it feels like right now Tennessee's a little lost.
They're a little stuck in the mud. And what's interesting
is Josh Haipel, the head coach, gets so much credit,
deservedly so for being able to simplify offenses and really

(25:52):
take him to the next level with quarterbacks, which is
very true, but there are times that you just wonder
the offense is the way the young quarterbacks.

Speaker 4 (25:59):
Will be developed all of these things.

Speaker 5 (26:01):
Is there that moment where they can go to the
next level when they need to against the toughest competition.

Speaker 4 (26:07):
I just don't know, you know, And so I'm.

Speaker 2 (26:09):
Looking at you don't trust. You sound like me, you
don't trust. There's something about the Valves or a great story,
but something about them that you don't trust.

Speaker 5 (26:19):
Yep, especially especially Nico, Like I don't know, there's just
I'm a fan in modern college football of you know,
a four hundred and seventy three year old quarterback that's
played three thousand games playing that is the opposite of
what Nico Yama Lava is and I just really want
to prove I can keep saying his last name, but Figgi,
there is a level for Nico where I just think

(26:40):
we have to remember that he is young, and he
is inexperienced at some levels.

Speaker 4 (26:44):
So it's a lot. We're asking a lot for him
with the expectations that are on this team.

Speaker 6 (26:50):
Yeah, there's gotten to be some lumps, you know what,
the what the young with a freshman quarterback, you know
that that's going to happen. And the issue is they're
not really battle tested. I mean it was the best
teams that they played this year are Kansall the game
that they lost, and Arkansas is a solid team, but
they're not nothing spectat in Florida, people are.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
Ready to run Billion Apier out of town.

Speaker 6 (27:06):
And you know they had they went to to to
enforced them into overtime because even Tennessee. Tennessee has all
of these great defensive numbers early this season.

Speaker 3 (27:14):
But I mean, what.

Speaker 6 (27:15):
Offenses have they played? What's the best offensive unit that
Tennessee played this year?

Speaker 2 (27:19):
You figure through it, obviously Chattanooga, Dansee State, Kent State,
Kent State. I mean, Oklahoma was legit like that was
a good win.

Speaker 6 (27:28):
But again, I mean they're not or they had a
quarterback change a couple of weeks ago.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
I mean, you know, yeah, I was about to I
was about to say, not, it's not exactly your father's Oklahoma.

Speaker 3 (27:39):
Right, you know.

Speaker 6 (27:41):
The So what I'll say about Alabama amidst their flaws,
of which there are many, namely their defense. You know,
they have the victory over Georgia. You know, yes, they
lost to Vanderbilt, which is unforgivable, but we know, at
the very least as flawed as they might be defensively,
we know they can score points and they can score
explode usively. So really, for me, in this game, it's

(28:02):
basically strength on strength and weakness on weakness. You know,
it's the Alabama offense versus the Tennessee defense. That's strength
on strength and then the weakness of the Alabama defense
versus the Tennessee offense. So who do you trust more?
I kind of lean more towards the Alabama defense over
the Tennessee offense really because it looks like Tennessee early on,
and I know it was against lesser competition, they were
hitting a lot of big plays downfield. Well, now that

(28:24):
there's game there been game planned for and they're playing
against better talent, they're basically forcing Meko to I have
to throw the ball underneath, and that's the strength of
his game right now. I think Alabama at the very
least can force Tennessee to play the style of game
that they want them to play and play into their hands.
And as good as Tennessee has been defensively this year,
they haven't seen an offense, especially an explosive offense like Alabama.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
So for that reason, I like Alabama. Let me, let
me go ahead.

Speaker 5 (28:51):
Here's the real question on this game to me, because
I don't think at this point in the season that
there's going to be a game that gets you in the.

Speaker 4 (28:58):
College football playoff. All do these teams have one loss.

Speaker 5 (29:02):
It feels like there is some level of this that
it's not an elimination, but it's damn near close to it.
The loser of this game since with two losses in
an sec with a bunch of runway left ahead of
them on games that are going to be difficult, with
no wiggle room at all. Like if I'm Tennessee knowing
that I still have so much in front of me,
if I'm Alabama, knowing I still have so much in
front of me, I have to get through. I know

(29:23):
it gives you opportunity, but still to me, I look
at it and say, the rest of the gauntlet as
it stands, gonna make this really tough. It's tough to
say elimination necessarily, but like this feels like ninety nine
point nine percent.

Speaker 2 (29:36):
I listen, you're not wrong. I mean, you think about it.
If you're trying to see right, it's been such a
great run. But this is why the Arkansas loss really hurts,
because to your point, you gotta go, we got Kentucky Kentucky,
you know, is a dragon slayer. You got Mississippi State,
all right, then of course you got Georgia. So you know,

(29:59):
let's just say you lose to Alabama, now you're at Georgia,
and what you gotta beat Georgia. That's that's your your
penance for losing against Arkansas. Is you gotta beat Alabama
or Georgia. It is basically it.

Speaker 6 (30:17):
With a young quarterback who missed, probably having some confidence
issues and look, maybe you know, he'll be battle tested
and he'll be better at that point in time. But
Georgia is probably gonna be better at that point in
time too.

Speaker 3 (30:27):
You know.

Speaker 6 (30:28):
I know they've had their issues that we're going to
get into their matchup with Texas as well. But I mean,
if things were to hold the way they are now,
there's no question in my mind that I'm taking Georgia
in that game and probably you know easily.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
Yeah, I agree, I do, I agree. I Mean, the
only thing I'm thinking about is and listen, I agree
with the exit and oh of it like everything spot on?
Is there an any kind of magic?

Speaker 3 (30:56):
Right?

Speaker 4 (30:57):
Is there?

Speaker 3 (30:57):
Any?

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Is there any magic?

Speaker 7 (31:00):
Now?

Speaker 2 (31:00):
Remember you know Alabama survive the comeback against Georgia had
the loss and then had that weird game. I mean
at South Carolina game was all the way to win.

Speaker 3 (31:14):
Out sure was absolutely yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 4 (31:19):
To he was wide open in the back of the
end zone on the two point conversion.

Speaker 5 (31:23):
If that ball is a good, good on the passwords
for getting there, but my god, he was open. And
then to have the conversion of the on site kick,
It's just yeah, I realized you could turn around.

Speaker 4 (31:33):
And say, well, you know, sometimes you got to five
of those games in the SEC.

Speaker 5 (31:36):
I will again yell as I have loudly consistently across
the board. I don't want to hear from SEC fans
how tough insert team name is here. I don't want
to hear from Big ten fans how tough insert tame
name is here. Like, if you are going to be
one of the elite of the elite this year, you
got to be able to beat the teams in your
conference that are at best plucky and like some of
them are just flat out bad and it's just rose

(31:58):
colored glasses. Every SEC fan, well, excuse well, you know
this this You never know what happens in Lexington on
a Saturday night.

Speaker 4 (32:06):
Yo, you do.

Speaker 5 (32:06):
If you're good, and I'd say the same thing, Big
ten fans coming. It's like, well, you never know what's
gonna happen when you gotta play Iowa.

Speaker 4 (32:11):
Yes you do. If you're one of the best this year,
you gotta beat the best.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
Amen. Amen, all right, let's take a quick tea out.
We'll come right back where the fella is hanging a
just riches of games of matchups. This is awesome. It
really is fellas hanging out. Fox Sports Radio. All right,
welcome back, Fellas. Jason fitz Kevin Figures. I'm Anthony Gargano.

Speaker 3 (32:43):
Alright, let's go.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
Let's go to the other game because I'm dying talk
about that one too. Man, That's this is gonna be like,
that's epic. Georgia, Texas is fitsy. I mean, I don't
know what you got the sports bar playing to Mike.

Speaker 4 (33:01):
No, no, I can't.

Speaker 5 (33:03):
I mean, this is where Connecticut sort of. I love Connecticut.
Before anybody gets in, Mamenchi's I love Connecticut. I really
enjoy living there. Not the greatest college football town though,
as we all know, college football state, so the vibe
isn't right. You know, it's gonna be a watch at home,
you know, maybe pop some healthy popcorn and sit back
and watch the game of the Year.

Speaker 4 (33:25):
And I do think that as much as we've already.

Speaker 5 (33:27):
Said the game of the Year with George Alabama, I
want to be clear, the way Texas is playing right
now is better than either Georgia or Alabama was playing
going into that matchup, right So, I think there's just
so much here to learn about each of these teams.
And we talked about backs against the wall. Georgia's backs
against the wall. But if you're Texas, you have a
real chance right now to put a nail on the

(33:48):
cough separate yourself from one of the biggest programs in
the country. I just that's a beautiful thing. And I'm curious.
You know, if they come in and dominate, everything's easy.
If Quinn struggles just a little bit, is there sort
of a rumbling.

Speaker 4 (34:02):
We want Arch? Like? I know, I just I want
this drama injected in my veins.

Speaker 3 (34:09):
I'm seeing the same thing he struggles a little bit.
I mean, how do you how do you not how.

Speaker 2 (34:17):
Do you not all of a sudden start going with
the Arch. Thinking about Arch.

Speaker 6 (34:23):
You have to considering how well Arch played when he
stepped in for him.

Speaker 3 (34:27):
Uh huh.

Speaker 6 (34:27):
You know, I would not want to be sark right now.
That's a tough position to be in. And the issue
I have with Texas and I don't have an issue.
If we're gonna have picks, IM probably are gonna end
up picking them to win this game. But they're not
necessarily battle tested either, while Georgia is. I mean, they
mopped the floor with Clemson and Clemson over the last
month and a half looks amazing.

Speaker 3 (34:46):
Like that was a wake up call for him, the
sure did you're right?

Speaker 4 (34:51):
Fiing good lord, We're wrong about that one.

Speaker 6 (34:53):
So that's a good win. You know, Kentucky solid the
Alabama game. I mean, whoever would have lost that game?
You still come away feeling like, hey, you know, we're
not that far away from where we need to be.
And so the Mississippi State was a bit of a scare.
They got out to a lead and let them back
into it. But I would say, if we're talking about
who's more battle tested at the moment in time, I
would say it's Georgia, and Georgia's been there before. Texas

(35:13):
to a certain degree has not. I know they made
to the playoff last year, but it's a different level.
So I do think a lot of the pressure is
on Texas in this game to really show that they
are who they claim to be, who've seen them to
be at this point in time, the number one team
in the country. I'm willing to see, really interested to
see how they come out and answer it.

Speaker 2 (35:31):
I know, I know. Now here's what I feel confident.
I do feel confident the Georgia defense. I think this
is not a Georgia defense of before. Like I think
they're vall. I think Texas will move the ball. I
don't think yours will have any problems. I think they'll

(35:52):
move the ball. I also think Georgia will move the ball.

Speaker 5 (35:57):
Yeah, I mean, honestly, I think Texas's defense right now
could move the ball on Texas's offense, I should say, can.

Speaker 4 (36:05):
Move the ball literally on anyone.

Speaker 5 (36:07):
I don't care if we're talking about Georgia, I don't
care if we're talking about North Dakota State. Like at
this point, Texas's offensive line is absolutely capable of anything.
Texas wideouts are capable of anything. Texas got the quarter,
but like there isn't a fatal flow.

Speaker 2 (36:21):
Yeah, I mean, they'll move the ball and the Cowboys
I agree, Well, that.

Speaker 3 (36:25):
Wouldn't be very difficult. Everybody, you know, don't think I'm
don't care.

Speaker 6 (36:31):
Take the three of us and a few other Cats self,
just treat can move the ball on the Cowboys at
least a little bit.

Speaker 5 (36:36):
If Jerry Jones put the same work into actually, you know,
fixing his roster as he does and trying to get
radio hosts fired, maybe the Cowboys would be better.

Speaker 3 (36:43):
Ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (36:43):
That's all I say about that.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
What amen, jeez h.

Speaker 6 (36:48):
But I agree with you guys as far as going
back to the game with the you know, I think
Georgia is the question I talked about the Alabama like.

Speaker 3 (36:54):
The weakness and weakness and strength on strength.

Speaker 6 (36:55):
I do think Texas is going to be able to
move the ball and score some points against Georgia. Now,
when they score forty five, I don't know. I don't
know if they're gonna go that high. So the question
for me is, well, Carson Beck and the Georgia offense,
what kind of work can they get against the Texas defense.
That's where the game is gonna be won and lost.
We know Georgia can score and Texas metric wise has
been one of the top defenses in the entire country
pretty much in every measurable statistic. So that's really where

(37:19):
the game is going to be won and lost. I
know Texas is going to score some points against Georgia.
What can Georgia do against Texas's defense, specifically upfront? That's
where the game is going to be won and lost.

Speaker 2 (37:29):
Yeah, I feel the same way I do, and by
the way I think they will.

Speaker 3 (37:35):
I think they'll score some points and this is gonna
be high scoring games.

Speaker 2 (37:37):
To be honest, I think it's a high scoring game,
and I think Texas goes. I love them to get.
I'm buying. I'm buying like all the Texas stock I
can get. I'm a believer. I agree, not battle tested,
but my eyes trusting what I.

Speaker 3 (37:51):
See same, this is it. And I still think they
have a bit of a chip on their shoulder because
they hear that.

Speaker 6 (37:55):
Coming into the SEC, there's still people saying like, aw,
you guys are a real SEC team. Yeah you'll be
you know right, So Oklahoma's not an SEC team either,
you bea Mississippi state. You know, whooped dee doo. So
I think they have something to prove. I think they
have a chip on their shoulder.

Speaker 5 (38:10):
Yeah, I mean, but that's that's the ultimate weirdness of
college football. Like, because I think you're right, Texas does
have a chip on their shoulder. But like I said earlier, Georgia,
through no fault of Texas, is playing behind the eight ball,
like they can't afford another law. Good Lords. So it's funny.
You better have a chip on your shoulder because it's
going to be hard. And this is I think a
truth in college football this year. It's going to be

(38:32):
hard for both teams to come into matchups with the
same level of intensity so often because one team will be,
by nature, in a much more desperate situation. And that's
not something most coaches can coach up. You can't fabricate
the energy that comes with desperation. Might be the smartest
thing I've said, Good Lords, somebody clipped out file.

Speaker 3 (38:56):
Who shit that?

Speaker 4 (39:00):
Okay, you guys stink.

Speaker 2 (39:04):
I mean, I mean, are brilliant. Uh you know, I
mean somebody's taking the dividing into the morning.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
See what you do.

Speaker 2 (39:12):
See the fact that you are on this journey, which
we'll get to the middle of the next segment.

Speaker 3 (39:18):
Your your jurny, you can talk about clear head. You
just you're getting smarter man.

Speaker 4 (39:22):
Right, No, well, I can't get any prettier.

Speaker 5 (39:25):
So I figure I'm I'm already pretty one. If I'm
the pretty end, the smart one, lookout, y'all, Like might
not trust myself to leave the house anymore.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
A we got lots to get to a big, big
weekend as always. Hang it out right here on Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (39:48):
Listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
Well, good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning,
ey buddy, happy happy Fox Sports Saturday. It's a great one, man,
It really really is what a weekend is upon us.
Jason Fitz, I'm Anthony Gargano, Kevin Figures. Together, we are

(40:11):
the Fellas, broadcasting live from the tyrack dot com studios.
Tyraq dot com will help you get there an unmatched selection, fast,
free shipping, free road diser protection. Over ten thousand are
recommended installers tyraq dot com. The way tire buying should be. Uh,
we're just talking about Georgia and Texas and you know, Alabama, Tennessee,

(40:34):
and we'll get back to that. It's going to be
an incredible NFL Week two. I mean all the high
drama fitsy that we've seen and tomorrow, I mean it's
it's just it's awesome. I mean, Packers, listen to this,
Green Bay, Houston, Eagles, Giants, Lions, Vikings, Seattle, Atlanta, which

(40:58):
is a good one. You got the Chiefs and Niners
in the Super Bowl preview and then Jets and Steelers.
Devonte Adams and I got to ask you just to
start the show because both of you guys are Raider
fans and you see DeVante go. You heard Max, Max,

(41:21):
who's missed a Raider, and nobody, whether it's the owner
or the coach, ort to even think about moving Max.
But Max is like, Yo, I'm out here for a rebuilt.

Speaker 5 (41:33):
So I think is a unique part of Max's personality
is that no matter what, he's gonna speak his mind
on that he always has b I'll never forget. You know,
the NFL Draft in Vegas. I've told this story before,
but at the NFL Draft in Vegas, we did an
interview for ESPN at.

Speaker 4 (41:49):
The time for the draft where Max and I got
tattoos together.

Speaker 5 (41:52):
So we sat at Heart and Huntington out in the
Caesars and got some innkedome. We were in the chair
for I don't know four hours ish and over the
course of that conversation. You know, this is a couple
of years ago obviously, but I said to him, I
was like, man, I can't imagine the chaos you went
through this year, because that was coming off the John
Gruden Bisacia the whole thing, right, And I said, I

(42:13):
can't imagine the chaos you've gone through this year.

Speaker 4 (42:15):
And he laughed and he.

Speaker 5 (42:15):
Said, this year it's been chaos every minute I've been here,
and he laughed as he said it. But you know,
over the since that time, Max and I have actually
become buddies. And it's funny because he's unwavering in his
honesty towards these things.

Speaker 4 (42:28):
Like his comment I know is being blown up into
Max wants out. It's not that.

Speaker 5 (42:33):
Max also has clearly said repeatedly Raider nation for life,
our end four four l right, So like I don't
think that it's that. But Max is going to have
the expectation of the organization that he has of everybody
that ever walks in the room, which is be your best,
do your best, and go out and win, you know,
And that's just that's how he's wired.

Speaker 4 (42:51):
Now, can the Raiders do that? Like? I want to
be clear here.

Speaker 5 (42:54):
If Max came out tomorrow and said I demanded trade.
I wouldn't fault him for a second because he deserves
to go some where where he can win football games.
But I didn't read this the comment as some sort
of indication he wants out. I read the comment as
his version of the standard is the standard, and the
standard needs to be We're coming here to win.

Speaker 6 (43:11):
Yeah, I agree, one thousand percent. I took I got
this on the exact same takeaway that he wants. Look,
he has the Raiders, and you know this fits. He
has a Raider logo tattooed on his body, like that's
how dedicated he is to the franchise. So look, I'm
sure he wants to win. He doesn't want to be
a part of a rebuild. Nobody does.

Speaker 4 (43:28):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (43:28):
But I look, the Raiders came into this season thinking
that they, at the very least they were going to
be competitive for a potential playoff spot. Now, whether or
not that was realistic, we can, you know discuss. I mean,
you went into the season with that quarterback situation looking
the way that it was, you probably shouldn't be surprised
that you're sitting where you're sitting, and that DeVante Adams
became disgruntled. And what it makes me wonder is, and

(43:49):
maybe it's obvious, I don't know. When Antonio Pieris at
that press conference a couple of weeks ago and said
that some guys made business decisions on the field today,
you just wonder if DeVante Adams was one of those
people he was talking talking about, or the main person.

Speaker 3 (44:01):
That he was talking about.

Speaker 6 (44:02):
Yeah, because it's basically ever since that point, that's when
the rumbles about Devonte's future or lack thereof what the
Raiders started coming up.

Speaker 3 (44:10):
Was right after Antonio Peers made that comment.

Speaker 2 (44:13):
No, I know, I I thought that exactly. I think
you're spot on. Let me ask both you guys too,
because we were talking about the Raiders. I gotta tell
you the Vegas thing, it's almost sad like it feels
like they have no identity, Like there's no identity they

(44:36):
that you know, you go to Vegas and it's all
visiting team, all the whole visiting fan base because it's
a destination city. So you know, you're playing the Browns
and there's gonna be all Browns fans, and you're playing
the Bears. It's gonna be all Bears. Fans, and it's
like this, this Raider Nation, this great freaking franchise, is

(45:00):
it's kind of regular to being a just like a
Vegas show.

Speaker 3 (45:07):
I mean, that's the best way to play it.

Speaker 5 (45:10):
So I hear that, and this will sound staggering, I
think to a lot of people, I just I don't care.
I really don't because to me, here's the thing, Like,
at the end of the day, I care about watching
my favorite team win football games, as oversimplified as that is.
And the crazy thing is that as much as we

(45:32):
talk about how you know, obviously there is no home
field advantage, the crazy thing to me is that the
Raiders haven't had a home field advantage. Like, Look, Oakland
was great, Oakland was amazing, Oakland was spectacular. During from
nineteen ninety five to twenty nineteen, which was their second
stint in Oakland, the Raiders had the thirty first out

(45:54):
of thirty two teams winning percentage at home, right, so
they went ninety two and one hundred and eight during
that time.

Speaker 2 (46:00):
Black Hole.

Speaker 5 (46:01):
Yeah, like the black Hole had the the second worst
winning percentage, you know, And look, that's not the fans fault,
but but I look at all this, it's like as
much as that's not the fans fault, I don't care.
Like having the best home field advantage in the world
and the black hole and all of that made no
difference on the field, so like as much as.

Speaker 2 (46:21):
Well, I'm but but to me, it's it's just a
it's part and parcel.

Speaker 3 (46:30):
I don't I think.

Speaker 2 (46:30):
I think I think you guys just like well.

Speaker 3 (46:34):
And I and I think this has been to the legion.

Speaker 6 (46:36):
I haven't so, but I will say if the team
wins fits generally speaking, when the Raiders had their very
short lived run with Rich Gannon and John Ruden and
our buddy Lincol Kennedy for those three four years they
were winning the AFC West.

Speaker 3 (46:47):
They had a very good home field advantage.

Speaker 6 (46:49):
They they sold out whatever their you know equivalent of
selling out with the you know things topped tarped off
at the top of the stadium. But they had a
very solid home field advantage when they won. I feel like,
like most other franchises, if you put a consistent winning
product on the field, your hometown crowds will be willing
to come out and actually keep their tickets and not
sell them to packer fans or chiefs. Fans or whoever's
coming in town for a weekend.

Speaker 2 (47:10):
You know.

Speaker 4 (47:10):
Well, so this is a fun fact.

Speaker 5 (47:14):
I was on the season ticket waiting list when they
announced they were going to Allegiance, and they by the
time they got to me on the waiting list because
of the way they sold those tickets, they I was
near the end, so they only had really good seats.

Speaker 4 (47:27):
Next to each other.

Speaker 5 (47:27):
And so I think my my PSLs for two seats
were going to be like forty something thousand dollars so
just for the PSLs, and I couldn't justify it, like
there was no way. But then they offered financing and
all these things. But the girl that was they called
me to try and sell the tickets said, hey, think
of it this way. If you took the first two years,
three years and just sold your tickets, you'll make your

(47:48):
PSLs back. And the funny thing is she was right.
Like I to this day, I regret that I didn't
get the PSLs because I would have done exactly what
everybody else is doing. I live in Connecticut, right, so
I would have sold but one game. I'd have picked
one game and gone out to it. I would make
the argument that while that is a terrible look today.
If the Raiders actually turned around and found their Jaydon Daniels,

(48:10):
If the Raiders turned around and found their CJ. Stroud,
if they had their Kleb Williams, if next year in
the draft suddenly there's a clear cut. There isn't number
one overall pick. There isn't a quarterback position that solves
that position.

Speaker 4 (48:21):
There isn't.

Speaker 5 (48:22):
But if there was, I think Raiders fans all over
that have been selling these tickets, or local Raiders fans
or late Raiders fans that just want to go see
a competitive team would flock and fly. Like I don't
think it would be an issue.

Speaker 2 (48:33):
Asked you about that because I'm curious, and you know, listen,
you guys can answer it. And you're from Vegas, so
like you know that market, the market can handle hockey team.
When you're talking about being a destination city apart, like,

(48:54):
there's no bigger destination city than Las Vegas. So every
team across the league every year. I'm in fact, a
friend of mine has a sports travel business, true fan travel,
and his biggest trips are to Vegas. Right Like, every

(49:14):
whoever they're playing, there's always going to be half the
stadium filled with the opponent. Just because of the secondary
market and because of the nature of Vegas being a destination,
it feels like they're going to get lost no matter what.

Speaker 5 (49:32):
So all the years I spent in Nashville, one of
the crazy things because the Titans rarely had this great
home field advantage. And if you recall years ago, Taylor
to one actually came out and you know, sort of
ripped at the time when he was still playing. He
ripped the city and the fans for not supporting the
team because they had to go to Silent Count repeatedly.
And at the time I sort of laughed about it.

(49:53):
I was doing radio and Nashville at the time, and
I laughed about it and said, well, of course, because
if you're a Vikings fan and you look at the
calendar and you're gonna pick one away game, you're gonna
pick Nashville. Everybody loves to go to Nashville and party.
And that to this day is absolutely true for the Titans.
Like the Titans don't have a huge home field advantage
sometimes because fans love to go to Nashville and party.

Speaker 4 (50:13):
Bears fans are notorious.

Speaker 5 (50:14):
At one point, Chicago fans literally actually drank Lower Broadway.

Speaker 4 (50:18):
Out of beer. I didn't know that could happen, and
they did it.

Speaker 3 (50:20):
Impressive.

Speaker 5 (50:20):
So yeah, So like I think certain transient cities and
certain party cities, that's gonna be the case.

Speaker 4 (50:26):
The Golden Knights came.

Speaker 5 (50:29):
To Las Vegas during an incredibly tragic time with the
mass shooting that was during their inaugural season, and it
bonded the team in a city in a way that
most teams and cities.

Speaker 4 (50:39):
Never have the opportunity to bond.

Speaker 5 (50:40):
It really created something special that I think will bonb
those too, the franchise with the city for life. And
it's very true that you can drive around the suburbs
and you will see ten to one Golden Knights license plates, gears,
stickers on cars, all of those things. To Raiders, it's
certainly true. I don't think the Raiders have done enough
to ingrain themselves into the community. And then, frankly, I've

(51:00):
told people in that building that you can't just go
out and say hey, we're the NFL. You got to
go out there and you got to sponsor youth football,
and you got to shake hands and kiss babies, and
you got to get out there and show people that
you care and you got to do all of these
things that I'm not sure they've done.

Speaker 4 (51:14):
A very good job of.

Speaker 5 (51:15):
So I think there are a lot of things that
the Raiders have misstepped on. But that being said, I
do believe that, you know, frankly, for any generation, all
it takes.

Speaker 4 (51:23):
Is one big winning streak.

Speaker 5 (51:25):
I really were going to Foxboro in the late nineties
when they stunk and that place was empty, you know, empty,
and then all of a sudden there's an whole generation
of Patriots fans that don't know that feeling, right, I
just think you got to win, and if they win,
I think this takes care of I would be more
concerned that the Raiders were average and ten wins.

Speaker 2 (51:42):
Like it definitely should. If you win, I'm with you.
My only my only reservation is even if they're winning,
and National is a great party city, but it ain't Vegas,
right like that, it's not the destination that Vegas is,

(52:03):
and that there's always going to be a It's almost
like they if this makes sense to you, And again
this is just my outward uh, you know, I have
no dog in the fight type of thing, right, just
I'm just a bystander. It's almost like they wasted the
franchise the Raiders, like they wasted the brand in Vegas.

(52:29):
You could put Jacksonville and you could put the Jaguars
in Vegas and they have the same effect. Like the
Raiders need to be in a city that's unto themselves.
Like honestly, the Raiders really should be in LA.

Speaker 4 (52:46):
Like if the Raiders were in LA, that's Jerry Jones'
fault that they're not.

Speaker 6 (52:52):
I mean, Roger Goodell had a hand in that too,
with they both tagged team and getting Cronky to buy
the Rams to move them.

Speaker 2 (53:00):
Well, now it's horrible, you know, and I get it,
you know, an original listen the whole thing.

Speaker 6 (53:06):
But well, also because Cronky had the money to buy
his own building and not use taxpayer money, which LA
was never going to go for and never will exactly.

Speaker 4 (53:14):
That's one of the other things too. And you know
this is constant, you get point right, I think so.

Speaker 5 (53:21):
I used to always say that Nashville is a city
full of people that are either are famous, have been famous,
will be famous, think they should be famous. They want
fame on their teams. There's certain things that they resonate
with and I think Vegas is at times one hundred, right,
Vegas is that with four energy drinks in their system,
Like it's just there. You're right, And the one thing
that that separates from Vegas is you gotta be man.

(53:43):
You got to be entertaining. You gotta be glitzy and glamorous,
like I would argue even the Golden Knights, Like if
the Golden Knights decided they were going to go through
a generation of winning hockey games two to one, I
don't know that that's going to work for him. Like you
got to you gotta score points, you you know, you
gotta score goals. You got to do all of these,
Like if and when baseball gets to Vegas, it's going
to have to be an electric show.

Speaker 4 (54:02):
There's gonna have to be star power.

Speaker 5 (54:04):
Like I don't think it's an accident bringing Brady in
because Brady can go on billboards and I always the
billboards team outdated. But it just to me, you've got
to have something that is the minute the plane lands,
everybody says, oh yeah, that's it, Like that's the way
you sell in that city. Like there's sizzle to everything
in that city. So you know, I think you know
to your point, has it been wasted? Maybe, but also

(54:26):
if it if it ever hits right, and I don't
know if it will, but if it ever hits right
and you get the right stars, if you.

Speaker 4 (54:32):
Had the Rich canon Jerry Rice Tim Brown.

Speaker 5 (54:34):
Era right now in Vegas, I think it'd be one
of the biggest stories in the world in sports.

Speaker 4 (54:38):
So you know.

Speaker 2 (54:39):
It's going to be, but the building will still be.
You can't tell me the building is still going to
be at least thirty to opposition.

Speaker 3 (54:51):
I don't know that.

Speaker 6 (54:52):
I mean possibly, yeah, I mean I feel like they're
putting a consistent winning product on the you know, on the.

Speaker 2 (54:56):
Fields, so full of the tea. It's circumstance than the
fault because again, the people people will want to go
to they're going to Vegas. It's like, oh, yeah, we're
going to Vegas for a full it's the perfect cover. Hey,
but you've got you've.

Speaker 4 (55:15):
Got two guys on this show right now.

Speaker 5 (55:16):
Like you know, since I don't have season tickets, I
try to go to a game once a year. If
the Raiders were a ten win team, I tried to go.

Speaker 4 (55:23):
To two or three.

Speaker 3 (55:24):
Yeah, I tried to go three or four. Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 5 (55:26):
Figure you would go like, so, I think that to
your point, there are also a ton of Raiders fans
that would look at it.

Speaker 6 (55:30):
They're like, yeah, if it's is in Connecticut, I'm in LA.
You know how many thousands of Raider fans they already do.
By the way, imagine if the team wins that though,
I mean right now it's if it's more. Was it
sixty opposition?

Speaker 4 (55:46):
Yeah, last last week was almost sixty percent with Steelers. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (55:50):
I mean that's also anywhere you go.

Speaker 6 (55:51):
The Steelers are probably not a good example of some teams,
the Steelers, the Cowboys. No matter what city you're in,
they're probably gonna out you and your gaza city.

Speaker 2 (56:01):
Like they're not taking over Philadelphia. Yeah, take it over.

Speaker 3 (56:06):
I mean the great majority.

Speaker 6 (56:07):
Yes, in certain cities like Philadelphia, Nogo.

Speaker 5 (56:11):
This will sound like in Vegas, this will sound like
Vegas homerism for the city. But just hear me out
on this, like this is essentially an expansion team coming
to Vegas. And by that I mean like, look, most
cities have Like when the gold Knights moved to Vegas,
there wasn't for most of that city a favorite hockey
team that you grew up rooting. For like that just

(56:32):
wasn't a huge part of the city for the locals,
you know, and so it was easy to become a
Golden Knights fan. When the Raiders move there, Well, you've
got people that might be Rams fans and Cowboys fans
and Chargers fans and all these different you know, because
everybody's from everywhere in Vegas. Nobody's from Vegas other than me.
You've got all these people that grew up different fans
of different teams. I've seen the same thing again in Nashville. Like,

(56:53):
so now all of a sudden, I think what we
also have to realize is that you have to invest
in the city, just like you would if you were
an expansion team.

Speaker 4 (57:01):
That takes time. I just I think there's all look different.

Speaker 2 (57:05):
My only no doubt, My only point is that, And
it's really a compliment to the brand, because yeah, the
brand's been mismanaged, right because of we're just talking about,
you know, year in year out, how bad they've been.
So the brand's been mismanaged, but it's wasted. It's almost

(57:27):
wasted in Las Vegas because it's means something like the
Raiders still means something deep to me, Like I look
at certain teams and I go, yeah, the Packers they
mean something to me, right, like the Raiders mean something. Uh,
you know, the Titans, the Jaguars. Right, there's a handful

(57:49):
of teams. You go, yeah, whatever, that would work great
in Vegas.

Speaker 6 (57:54):
Yeah, I mean the brand would mean a lot more
if they were actually winning football games. That's the thing
to the brand actually mean right now, it means a
lot of mediocrity the last twenty years.

Speaker 3 (58:03):
To be honest, and this is coming from a fan
of the team that's invested in the team.

Speaker 2 (58:06):
But I mean the Raiders in LA or the Raiders
in Oakland with a new stadium and the whole thing
mean like to me, it's bigger.

Speaker 5 (58:18):
It means something I always said from day one, and
I heard I heard rumblings from a couple of buddies
about Vegas long before Vegas was ever real, and I
laughed it off. And the reason I laughed at off
is because even me, like I grew up in Vegas
a fan of the La Raiders, and all you got
to do is drive through LA for a minute and
you're like, yep, Raiders everywhere, Like La is a Raiders

(58:40):
time that they should have gone to La that I
think that would have been a more seamless transition. I
think it would have been amazing for the team. Frankly,
there's a million things that could have gone right for
them by going to LA. So I do like if
they gone to LA and somebody else had moved to Vegas,
I don't think I think that could have actually been
much stronger.

Speaker 4 (58:58):
I just you're so. I think you're right.

Speaker 5 (59:01):
I also think though, that this will normalize over time
if they ever get a quarterback, just to be.

Speaker 4 (59:06):
Real, they ever get it.

Speaker 5 (59:07):
If they get a quarterback, then there's a bunch of
ten year old kids that are living in Vegas right now.

Speaker 3 (59:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (59:11):
I don't really care about the Raiders. That will because
they've got you know, insert I don't know, maybe to
point zero.

Speaker 6 (59:19):
Yeah, and you know what it is. It's similar to
the Chargers to a degree. I mean the Chargers when
they first moved to Los Angeles and they were playing
in this little soccer stadium that's seated thirty thousand people,
it was like ninety percent the other team. Like I
remember Philip Rivers having to try to quiet the crowd
down at home games. Now it's not that bad at
Allegiance it's not that bad at this point in time.

(59:40):
But over the last couple of years, the Chargers have
slowly built a fan base. And I know it's La.
It's not Vegas. I mean La is a destination too,
but it's a little bit different when it's Vegas. Obviously,
it's gonna take time. And even hearing Dean Spannels say like,
we didn't come here thinking we're going to light the
world on fire in the first four or five years.

Speaker 3 (59:57):
This is a long term play.

Speaker 2 (59:58):
Still a disgrace statement. I hate them for moving, I'll
be honest.

Speaker 3 (01:00:01):
Oh yeah, trust me. One of my best friends san Diego.

Speaker 6 (01:00:03):
Yeah, one of my best friends of San Diego Charger
fan and he lives in LA and he said, I
will never support that team ever again. Even though I
can go to any game that I want to, I
choose not to because of the way they treated San Diego.

Speaker 2 (01:00:14):
I get it. That's the only thing. For listen, we
love football, man, Football is the greatest. The only thing
the NFL has done over the years is that they
have met They have really screwed over cities and they
have not handled that piece of it well well.

Speaker 6 (01:00:31):
I mean, you can put the letters NFL over a
stack of cash instead of a shield.

Speaker 3 (01:00:36):
I mean, that's basically what it is.

Speaker 2 (01:00:38):
I know. But by the way, civic pride, the civic
pride of it, like the civic part of it, they
just they've mismanaged. I'm sorry, that's their only Listen, they've
built an empire and none of the early matters. But
if I'm looking at it, the only thing that they've
in my mind, they've mismanaged is that piece of it's

(01:00:59):
from Saint Lewis, from Baltimore, Cleveland to Saint Louis to
Los Angeles with multiple franchises, to northern California. I mean,
they just mismanaged it.

Speaker 5 (01:01:13):
But they get away with it because, just like somebody
that always cheats on their spouse, as long as they're
they're allowed to get away with it, they'll keep doing it.
Like there's just no they get away with it because
no matter how bad they mismanaged the that entire process,
there is a city somewhere and then we'll pay to
have a team come move there.

Speaker 4 (01:01:30):
That's just real, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
Without a doubt. All right, right, quick take, quick time out.

Speaker 6 (01:02:49):
All right, well, we'll start with Friday night in Major
League Baseball, the Yankees getting home runs from John Carlos
Sten and One Soto in an eight to six win
over the Guardians in Game four of the al CS,
second straight game that Emmanuel class A struggled. He allowed
two earned runs on three hits for Cleveland. Yankees have
a three to one series lead. They can advance to
the World Series with they win in Game five later tonight.

(01:03:12):
Their crossdown counterparts, the Mets, staved off elimination in Game
five of the NDS. They hammered the Dodgers twelve to
six behind a three run home run from Pete Alonzo.
You had RBI triples as well from Francisco Lindora and
Jesse Winker. La starter Jack Flaherty lit up for eight
earned runs on eight hits in just three innings of work.
Dodgers still with the three two lead in the series.
They host Game six on Sunday Night. College football on

(01:03:34):
Friday thirteenth, Ring BYU got a late touchdown pass to
come back and beat Oklahoma State thirty eight to thirty five.
Second ranked Oregon got two touchdown passes from Dylan Gabriel.
They shut out Perdue thirty five nothing Dukes six to
one with a twenty three to sixteen victory over Florida
State Seminoles one and six on the season. WNBA Finals
headed to a decisive game five after Minnesota defeated New

(01:03:54):
York eighty two to eighty.

Speaker 3 (01:03:57):
Back to the Fellas.

Speaker 6 (01:03:57):
Yes, that's Florida State team that was undefeated and screaming
about making it to the playoff last year.

Speaker 3 (01:04:03):
Now likely not even going to make a bowl.

Speaker 2 (01:04:05):
Yeah, it's terrible, shink. Really they need a new direction man,
that's it, Fellas. Jason Fitz, Anthony Garganum, Kevin Figures hanging out. Uh.
All right, so it was a pretty big week two,
the movement and the receiver. So we got to discuss this.
First of all, let's go back to Davante, right, so

(01:04:26):
he's gonna play this week? Ah, is that what the
Jets need? Now we saw we all saw Mike Williams
just completely flubb that ball, slipped the whole thing. It
would have been a first down somehow the Jets, it
was amazing how they just couldn't score kicker points two.

(01:04:48):
It's it's the upright flush. They just couldn't get that
big play. So now you bring Davonte, and so Rogers
has Davante. He's got an array of weapons. Right, you
got Lizard still obviously Garrett Wilson, so you got old.
You know, I love the running backs. So he's got
all the weapons in the world. Does that make the

(01:05:09):
Jets contenders fits?

Speaker 4 (01:05:13):
I guess the question is contenders for what?

Speaker 5 (01:05:16):
You know, because like, if we're talking about contenders for
the playoffs, yes, in this open AFC, Yeah, the contenders
to the playoffs, I'll give you that. Does it make
them contenders for the Super Bowl?

Speaker 3 (01:05:28):
No?

Speaker 5 (01:05:28):
I mean, there's just the hardest part about where we
are right now with the Jets is that I just
I don't feel like it's been There's this moment with
Garrett Wilson where it's like, oh, but look at how electric.

Speaker 4 (01:05:38):
Like they have a number one wide receiver.

Speaker 5 (01:05:39):
They just haven't been able to get that number one
wide receiver the ball until the last week. And even
after they got them the ball, they still lost the
game and they still went to acquire Davante. The offensive
line has issues. Everything's been out of sync. I don't
know how Davante fixes that.

Speaker 6 (01:05:54):
Yeah, they can't block anybody, and that's the big issue.
Brice Hall is one of the more dynamic players in
the league, has averaging under four yards of carry and
Braydley Dowand's given him a little bit here and there,
but the big issue for them regardless of who the
receivers are, and I think Dvante's actually lost a step.
Doesn't mean he's not good, doesn't mean he's not productive,
doesn't mean he doesn't give a boost to the offense.
But this is DeVante Adams of four or five years ago.

(01:06:15):
I think the big issue for them is not even
the passing game. It's you know, as far as the
skill position. Their offensive line is just not performing. And
I don't They've had some injuries, but Tyron Smith is
not performing up to snuff. I mean, John Simpson is
a cast off from the Raiders. I know how you
know average and I'm sure he's a nice guy, but
you're not really blowing but knocking anybody socks off with
that offensive line. And I think that's where the big

(01:06:37):
issues offensively begin and end for the Jets, less so
than the skill positions.

Speaker 2 (01:06:42):
Yeah, clearly, I mean, you see it. And it was
funny because the Bills normally don't blitz. They're not a
blitz heavy team. And I loved how McDermott called that game.
He the brilliant game and any pressures buries that line.

(01:07:05):
You run a couple of stunts, it confuses that line.
That line has got amazing. I mean foundation issues that
are wow that I didn't see common. I thought their
offensive line would have been much better. And defensively they're
not in sick either. No, they're okay. I thought they

(01:07:25):
would be much better.

Speaker 3 (01:07:26):
Defensively, Yeah, they're not dominant. They're they're okay.

Speaker 6 (01:07:30):
But also when your offense puts you behind the eight
ball so much, it's just I kind of acquitted to
the Raiders. People were very high on the Raiders defense
coming into the season, and I was like, I don't
know if they will be dominant, but if if their
offense can be halfway decent, you can maybe half something.
But this is not the Baltimore Ravens of two thousand
or the two thousand and two Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Speaker 3 (01:07:49):
They need help.

Speaker 6 (01:07:50):
And the Jets defense, while solid and they have some
good talent, they can't go out and you know, help
you win games thirteen to nine every single weekend.

Speaker 3 (01:07:57):
They're just not They're not that dominant.

Speaker 6 (01:08:00):
Few defenses in today's age in the n in the
NFL are So I still think the Jets defense is
actually fairly solid. I just think they can put behind
the ball because their offense is so on so often.

Speaker 2 (01:08:11):
All right, speaking of the of the uh, let's go
to the other team, the Bills, because we brought the
Bills up and that Jets played the Bills. I love
getting Amari Cooper for the Bills. He's exactly what they need.
He's and listen, he's a perfect fit there. He's he

(01:08:32):
messes so well there. They still have a great running game,
right because you get a clock. You just saw Ray Davis,
who was true, I mean just terrific the other night,
great catching the football. Kentucky's Ray Davis terrific.

Speaker 4 (01:08:46):
And then you add them.

Speaker 2 (01:08:48):
Yes, and then you add a legitimate receiver, uh for
for Josh Allen, I love, I actually love that move.

Speaker 4 (01:08:58):
Yeah. By the way, uh, ray Davis.

Speaker 5 (01:09:00):
One of the smart things I did in all my
keeper leagues was draft Ray Davis for fantasy football because
if you watch me Kentucky, I think he looked at
it and said, kid's too good to not get a chance.

Speaker 4 (01:09:09):
At some point.

Speaker 5 (01:09:10):
Yeah, I love that he's getting that opportunity. But when
you look at Amari, he's the biggest thing it does
to me is it starts to answer the key question
I say to you all the time. Take a shot
every time I say this in the morning. But what
are you doing on third and six? The answer has
been hoping to God that Josh Allen can make something happen.
Now the answer is you're looking at Josh Allen getting

(01:09:30):
the ball to Amari.

Speaker 4 (01:09:31):
So the question is how's he going to do it.

Speaker 5 (01:09:33):
You know that it's okay to admit that Dalton Kinkaid
didn't become the wide.

Speaker 4 (01:09:37):
Receiver slash tight end threat that they thought he would be.

Speaker 5 (01:09:40):
But now you got to do something about it if
you're Buffalo, because if you're the Bills, you are in
a Super Bowl window, and so acquiring Amari makes a
lot of sense.

Speaker 4 (01:09:47):
Obviously, you got to figure out consistency.

Speaker 5 (01:09:50):
As I've said before, one of the coaches he worked
with in the past, I asked, why is Amari so inconsistent?

Speaker 4 (01:09:56):
And that coach joked with me.

Speaker 5 (01:09:57):
He said, if I knew, I'd probably still have a job,
right Like, there are plenty of teams that will tell
you that the knock on a Mari has been that
something can happen or be said or happen behind the
scenes in the locker room that really bothers him. And
once he's bothered, he sort of checks out. So I
know that, you know, he certainly has had inconsistency.

Speaker 4 (01:10:16):
Look at his numbers. Two hundred yards one game, none
the next.

Speaker 5 (01:10:18):
But Josh Allen is the type that I think you
get the best out of everybody, and he's the type
of quarterback that I think can create the right environment
for Amar. This feels like the best landing spot yet
for Amari Cooper to just go be Amari Cooper.

Speaker 4 (01:10:31):
I love this move for the Bills.

Speaker 6 (01:10:32):
Yeah, it's a slot in and be you know, a
role player type of receiver. I don't think and you
mentioned it there fitsy about the inconsistencies. I mean, the
guy just disappears in big games, which will be got
a little concerning, But right now, you're just trying to
make it through the regular season. You worry about that
when you get there. The fact they're running the ball better,
Josh Allen is being more of a distributor. He's not
being as reckless as far as with his body running

(01:10:53):
the ball, distributing it to the weapons that he does have.
Amari becomes another one of those key weapons that he
can throw too, and a legitimate one when he's on.
So I don't love Amari Cooper, but I like him.
He's He's a good, solid player. I'm a little iffy
about him in big situations, but it certainly doesn't hurt.

Speaker 3 (01:11:10):
And you didn't give up a lot to get him. Yeah,
I'd like him more than you do. And it's fit.

Speaker 2 (01:11:14):
I think he's got.

Speaker 3 (01:11:16):
I just seen the guys.

Speaker 6 (01:11:17):
I saw him in Oakland, I see I saw every
snap in Dallas with him. He just I mean, look,
I saw the game earlier this year, Deshaun Watson probably
had individually his best performance against the Raiders. Amari Cooper dropped.
Their guys were dropping balls and he was a big
reason for that. Amari has games and has moments like that.

Speaker 2 (01:11:33):
He does, but he also has big moments like Yeah,
he also rises to the like to the cage. It's
and I just think with that team you slot him in,
everything kind of fits now.

Speaker 6 (01:11:46):
It helps. It's a huge help for sure. Gives him
a legitimate, legitimate receiver on the outside when he's on.
So I'll give you that he.

Speaker 4 (01:11:53):
Takes a little off of key On Coleman too, A guy.

Speaker 2 (01:11:58):
Like it slots everybody in. I think kN Cato be better, right,
Keyank Coleman will be better. It just has that vibe
about It's that's why I like it. Uh, all right,
we're gonna take quick too, will come Uh, we'll come
back where the Chiefs? Who who else needs to make
a move now? Right because obviously the Lions losing Hutchinson,

(01:12:21):
The Chiefs, they they need another outside guy. I mean
they've just been decimated, right, completely decimated. Let's let's go
through it. Who needs help? We'll discuss that fellas hanging
right here Fox Sports Radio. Fellas Jason fitz Kevin figures,
I'm Anthony Garganos. We hang out on a an epic weekend. Uh,

(01:12:43):
lots and lots of good stuff going on, all right,
before we get to some of the other situations in
the NFL, because it's fascinating the Lions or any to
replace Aton Hutchinson, the Chiefs where they do they gotta
figure out? Of course, man and the Saints just riddled
the other night. And Sean Peyton is is I can't

(01:13:07):
believe it, but I look at Sean Peyton as almost likable.
I had this watching him Thursday night, I actually fouled
him likable.

Speaker 6 (01:13:21):
Now this is a revelation fits because I don't know
if you know, do you know what they hate?

Speaker 3 (01:13:25):
The face? Situation is have we brought this up on
the show with you? No?

Speaker 4 (01:13:29):
No, no, no no no, let me hear this.

Speaker 2 (01:13:31):
What is this? Yeah, before we get into it, I'll
explain to hate the face. But before we get into that,
we got to do the update, Fitz Fitness Journey Update.
You know.

Speaker 4 (01:13:48):
The funny thing is I love that you did that.

Speaker 5 (01:13:52):
You played that drop and I put my hands above
my head to just lean back in my chair while
I'm doing radio, and I realized that my my man
bove's hurt because you know, chest to you today, so
you know it's good, good little stretch their all right?

Speaker 4 (01:14:02):
So come on?

Speaker 5 (01:14:05):
Oh yeah no, there was a bunch of yesterday was
all super sets, all super sets and different chest stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:14:11):
So, uh so what exercises you do?

Speaker 5 (01:14:17):
Uh So I went from like the cables to flat
chests and then I went what was the next one? Oh,
from flies to incline was the next one.

Speaker 4 (01:14:29):
And then I'm trying to work packs.

Speaker 2 (01:14:31):
The flies are the key because the flies, the flies
could mask the man boob.

Speaker 3 (01:14:38):
You know what also helps is the decline.

Speaker 6 (01:14:40):
I don't know if that actually work as some decline
in there, but that I hope it's the lower, the
lower man boob.

Speaker 4 (01:14:44):
Yeah, I'm starting to get boys. I'm starting to get
two little shelves on my chest.

Speaker 5 (01:14:48):
One is like the top of the mamboob, where like
I can actually do the squeezy thing and it just
makes my chest move. And then in between the man boobs,
I'm starting to get like a little like little valley
going in there. So you know, it's like that muscles,
muscles coming out. You guys would be proud of me.
I so I peeked down. I got my weight way down,
as everybody knows at this point, like a down forty pounds.

(01:15:09):
But once I got my weight down, then we started
a you know, the process of really trying to build
so like increasing my protein intake, building in a healthy way,
all of these things. So I have in the last
I guess now it's a little over three weeks.

Speaker 4 (01:15:23):
I put on almost six pounds in muscle.

Speaker 5 (01:15:25):
My body fat number is the same, so like I know,
my body fat's not going up, but I put on
almost six pounds that's a lot of you know, I'm
I'm eating like a hass. But the one, the one trick,
the one change, you know, I told, I told my trainer.
I was like, all right, Sundays, I eat whatever I want,
do whatever I want. But you know, we do like
little like the little fingerprick for katosis checking and butchergar checking.

(01:15:47):
And so we checked into my numbers and he said,
I can't do that anymore. He's like, you can't take
him full splurge day. But he did work in the
calories for you know a little bit of a splurge
on Sunday. So I still have, you know, I say little,
I still have like a bonus thousand calories. I just
can't go and hoss up like I was, you know,
I was, I was going to Dairy Queen and then
getting you know twenty like the other day, eighteen wings

(01:16:08):
and I went to Dairy Queen afterwards and I got
myself some pasta on the way home. Can't do that anymore, yeah,
you know, because it takes too many days from my
katosis and blood sugar.

Speaker 4 (01:16:16):
To get normal after that.

Speaker 5 (01:16:17):
But uh yeah, like this is this is a whole
it's whole figgy I'm telling you wouldn't even this is
a very true story. I went in to do something
for Yahoo, like I don't know about a month ago
where we hadn't been in studio, and I walked in
studio and everybody that has heard me talk about this
like jaws dropped. They're all like, you look like a
different human being. Everybody thought I was joking, But nope.

(01:16:38):
The body fat is down cut by more than half
at this point, and I'm still down thirty whatever thirty
three pounds.

Speaker 3 (01:16:46):
Credit to you, And even if the trainers telling you
not to.

Speaker 6 (01:16:49):
You know, basically, the simple way is like, don't have
a cheat day, have a cheat meal, you know what
I'm saying. Yeah, but having that cheat meal helps keep
you sane, so you're not you know, it's not just
dry chicken breast and spinach and whatever.

Speaker 3 (01:17:03):
Else that you're eating on the regular.

Speaker 6 (01:17:04):
You can actually mix it up and keep yourself, saying,
they give yourself a little bit of a you know,
a little bit of a respite, and you can still
have some of the good stuff, just not all of
the good stuff for an entire day.

Speaker 3 (01:17:12):
So it's good. That's healthy.

Speaker 4 (01:17:13):
I think we're still we're still on track.

Speaker 5 (01:17:15):
The goal was you know, I started this May fifteenth
and we're still on track.

Speaker 4 (01:17:19):
The goal by next maybe fifteenth.

Speaker 5 (01:17:21):
This from my apps to have ABS and he said
it would take about a year for me to really
develop out that way.

Speaker 4 (01:17:25):
But you know, we're we're we're getting there.

Speaker 5 (01:17:28):
We're definitely you know, you can start to see muscle
definition for the first time in my life. So this
is kind of a and I would just tell everybody,
like in a moment of sincerity here, like I have
always hated like my I've always had like a little
stomach and my dad's the same ways, had like a
little stomach, and I had doctors tell me it was genetic.
And you know, I even went before and I asked,

(01:17:49):
like about LiPo. I went to a doctor a couple
of different places in Nashville. I'm like, can we suck
it out? And They're like, no, it's visceral fat, it's
une at the stomach lining. This is just going to
be how you are forever. Like it's okay to you know,
learn to love that sort of thing. And so in
less time than it would have taken me to recover
from cool sculpting or light bulard any of these things
that I looked at all of them, I've done it healthier.

(01:18:10):
I didn't need to take a bunch of diet pills.
I didn't need any tricks. I didn't need any Atkins
or any weight watchers, any of those things. Like I
wasn't a big guy anyway. I just like it always
hits me that I started May fifteenth, and here I
am with the lowest body fat of my life, in
the best shape of my life, and I did it
without needing any tricks. All it took was like five

(01:18:30):
months of real work. So I just anybody that's thinking
about cheating it, give yourself five months first where you
actually work your ass off and then see what happens.

Speaker 3 (01:18:37):
Real work and discipline. That's really all it is.

Speaker 5 (01:18:40):
Well, also like now it's like super sustainable to me,
Like I.

Speaker 4 (01:18:43):
Enjoy the way I eat.

Speaker 5 (01:18:44):
I enjoy I don't like going to the gym, but
I feel it when I haven't gone to the gym
for a couple of days. So like, I don't know,
like you learn actual habits, you know, in an Olympic society.
It's fine if that's what kicks starts you, but man,
you better have you better have a real plan for
what you're actually gonna do to change your life.

Speaker 4 (01:19:00):
If that's me lecturing from the mountaintop.

Speaker 3 (01:19:02):
Love it.

Speaker 2 (01:19:03):
Yeah, that's great stuff, brother, it really is. It's a
great lesson. Uh all right, we got we gotta we
gotta take a quick t o coming up. But I'm
gonna I'll give you the the hate to face. And
I can't believe Sean Payton is now not a hate
to face. Fellas right here, Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (01:19:25):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:19:28):
All right, that's us, fellas. Jason fitz A'm, Anthony Gargano,
Kevin Figures Crew, Marty Mark producing Brianna Star that she is.
We come to you live from the tire rack dot
Com studios ty rack dot Com.

Speaker 3 (01:19:47):
We'll have to get there.

Speaker 2 (01:19:47):
An unmatched selection, fast, free shipping, free road that's a
protection over ten thousand recommended installers. Tire rack dot Com
the way tire buying should be. Uh, all right, we
got a bunch of things a goo over this hour
to really dive deeper into all the games. We looked
at the two biggies today, which are amazing. Texas and

(01:20:08):
Georgia and Alabama, Tennessee. This is a good one. And
by the way, Big newon kickoff is something too, because
Nebraska Indiana is a terrific matchup. Indiana's a great story, unbeaten.
I love where Nebraska is. Nebraska is close, They're close.
Rayola just needs a little seasoning. They're gonna Matt Rowling

(01:20:32):
is another year of recruits. They're gonna be good. They're
good now, but I think they're gonna be really good.
Take that next step, and I think today should be
a great game. I like Nebraska today. I do. I
think it's I think it's gonna be going. We'll get
into all that stuff. We'll get into the league. There's
lots of do to get into the matchup, including I mean,

(01:20:55):
Niner's Chief we're gonna rematch, super Bowl rematch, and Lions
Minnesota and the NFC North, all the the nof the
creatures from the North. They are amazing. That division is
really good, Packers and Texans. I mean, it's just a
great weekend of football.

Speaker 5 (01:21:15):
Fitzie, Yeah, it really is. And you know you mentioned
that the Niners game. One thing that I think is
kind of funny is that that's the one game this
weekend that I think, damned if they do, and damned
if they don't. If San Francisco goes out and there's
just absolutely just shmacks around Kansas City, We're still gonna say, well,

(01:21:36):
you know, let's see what happens when they made him
in the Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (01:21:38):
Gotta get over that home.

Speaker 5 (01:21:40):
And if they go out and they get beat by
Kansas City, it's gonna be well, see, they can't.

Speaker 4 (01:21:44):
Compete with the best of the best.

Speaker 5 (01:21:45):
Like it's the one outcome that no matter what, people
that want a doubt San Francisco will find a reason
to doubt San Francisco. But the fact is a very
simple analysis on San Francisco. I think the only honest
analysis is they have been so decimated at different times
and they have managed to tread water. If they get healthy,
they are a Super Bowl contender. If they don't, then
it's gonna be up and down for them, like it

(01:22:06):
is for most teams. It's just to me, it's that
simple with San Francisco. But it is funny that, you know,
the narrative on Tuesday will be, well, you know, this
isn't even a great Chiefs team, undefeated or not. And
I can't believe they couldn't get this win. If they
can't beat the Chiefs, now, when can they if they lose,
and if they win, it will be this is all
fine and dandy, but we know that.

Speaker 4 (01:22:26):
You got to find a way to do it in
the playoffs. Like it's just we're gonna move the goalpost
on San Francisco no matter what.

Speaker 2 (01:22:32):
Yeah, I know, I think that's non set stuff. I'll
be honest with you, like some of that stuff's stupid.
I agree, but like you, first of all, not as
you're good, I don't care very good, right right, I mean,
give you a break. I mean, first of all, I
mean hard Grave hurt their interior defensive line.

Speaker 3 (01:22:52):
That's a huge blow.

Speaker 2 (01:22:53):
I mean, yeah, but they're but they're good, man, and
when they've got all their pieces pretty legit. I mean,
we talked about Party a lot last year and he's
just legit. Like the throws he makes, you know, it's
so stupid. The game manager thing. I mean, you watch
him play, you know he's not a game manager. Yeah,
Shadah's a great coach. I mean, stop with the what

(01:23:15):
The Niners have a lot to prove.

Speaker 6 (01:23:16):
Well also, and look at their losses out the Rams
loss if you want to say, is unexplainable that they
you know, they blew a double digit lead, I get it.
But the Cardinal game, they didn't have a kicker from
the first quarter on. I mean that handicaps you. And
he lost to the Vikings, who as of now is
regarded by many to be the best team in the league.

Speaker 3 (01:23:33):
There's no shame in losing to them.

Speaker 6 (01:23:34):
So even with all their injuries, even through all the adversity,
as you mentioned, Fitzy, for them to even be at
five hundred, you know, I mean, and be at five
they could easily have two more wins. So I think
we should just stop with the demise of San Francisco
and say that this thing is over. Brock Party is excellent.
They have some injuries. Christian mccaffery's gonna come back at
some point in time. And when he does, I mean,

(01:23:55):
that's the equivalent of making a major trade when they
traded for him a couple of years ago. I mean,
they're getting production of, you know, in the run game.
They're getting healthy back there again this week. I think
San Francisco is just fine win or lose this weekend
against Kansas City.

Speaker 2 (01:24:08):
Yeah. And by the way, I mean, the Chiefs are
the Chiefs still like Aby Reid. Well, it's twenty one
and four after a bye.

Speaker 3 (01:24:18):
Yeah, it's weird. How about this this Chiefs team?

Speaker 6 (01:24:22):
Though it's as someone who is not a Chiefs fan,
although I do love Andy and in Spags and the
coaching staff, I'm very conflicted there.

Speaker 3 (01:24:28):
But they are winning with smoking mirrors. They really are
right now.

Speaker 6 (01:24:33):
I mean there are a couple of bounces away from
being one and three and they find themselves at four
and oh it really is remarkable.

Speaker 2 (01:24:40):
Yeah, listen, this could be a spot where I actually
think it's a spot where I think the Niners actually
win by march in this game.

Speaker 3 (01:24:50):
Yeah, I mean their favorite, aren't they? Why is that?
Aren't the Niners favorite in this game?

Speaker 2 (01:24:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:24:56):
Yeah, yeah, they're Like I think there are two or
three point favorites and half last ye yea. So a
team that's three and three is favored over it seemed
that's undefeated.

Speaker 3 (01:25:03):
When does that happen? Right? Wow, that's always what you
need to know.

Speaker 2 (01:25:06):
Yeah, I mean, and just say it has that feel
to it like I felt last week. I felt Detroit.
We talked about it last week. I love I love
the lines. Last week, but and I felt like it
could have been a margin game because the Cowboys have
those meltdown type games. So some games that like appear

(01:25:28):
to be even turned like turn one way, and this
has a feeling that it could turn like it could be, uh,
you know, thirty four thirteen kind of game.

Speaker 3 (01:25:39):
Yeah, I can see that it is.

Speaker 5 (01:25:43):
I hear the argument smoking mirrors, and you're right. But sometimes,
and I keep saying this like this, sometimes everything that
we look at as whether it's luck or smoking mirrors,
all of that just becomes part of your identity and
part of the identity of the Chiefs. In the last
eighteen months, I'm not even talking about this season, is it.

(01:26:04):
The Chiefs will make a game ugly and close. So
the only way you beat Kansas City is if you
figure out how to beat them in an ugly close game.
More often than not, that's way it goes. And we've
talked to nauseum about the record of Patrick Mahomes in
close games. I don't think you can consistently beat Patrick
Mahomes in a close game. So, like, the method to

(01:26:24):
the madness of smoking mirrors is really just can we
muck this thing up? Can we like we're gonna make
it ugly. It's gonna be a close game, it's gonna
come down to the wire, and we're gonna bet that
our coach and our quarterback can beat your coach and
your quarterback in a one score game.

Speaker 2 (01:26:38):
And in that equation.

Speaker 4 (01:26:41):
Oh yeah, and your defensive coordinator. Yeah, that's that's fair.

Speaker 2 (01:26:44):
I mean, because he's he, I mean, he might be
the bigger, the biggest reason why they won last year. Ridiculous.
And listen, I'm a big believer in that it's a
coach's league, all right, it's not a player's league. It's
a coach league. Coaches win great coaches know how to
use players. And I'll go, I'll argue with anybody now,

(01:27:09):
the reason why they've had to muck it up is
because they've gotten injured. I mean, the rash of injuries
that they have suffered has been extraordinary, right Like, you'll
be completely like crazy, Oh.

Speaker 6 (01:27:19):
You're signing guys off the street and they're starting the
next week.

Speaker 3 (01:27:23):
In the world. He's running for one hundred yards, right like.

Speaker 2 (01:27:26):
That just shows you the greatness of that coaching staff.
I mean, you know, I mean, they're they're they're unbelievable,
they really are. And they will they'll, you know, will
figure out a way and to keep things touching every
once in a while. I mean, I just think the
league itself there there's there's a clunker there with figures
saying about smoking mirrors and injuries. I think you're talking

(01:27:49):
about that through this, the prism of injuries and what
they've had to deal with too.

Speaker 6 (01:27:54):
Yeah, you just at a certain point through five games,
you just get a couple of lucky breaks, you know,
the opening night against Baltimore with the foot being out
of the back of the end zone, or the Bengals
kind of bungling it towards the end a little bit.
Not to take anything away from the Chiefs defense, which
had a lot to do with it. It's just at
a certain point in time you think your luck runs out.
Now along with that, you might not need that luck.

(01:28:16):
That luck carries on now once you start getting healthy,
once you hit yourself into a rhythm. I go back
to last season when you mentioned they were winning on defense. Well,
by the time you got to that last month of
the season, they had that loss to the Raiders at
home on Christmas Day. Then all of a sudden, they
start running the ball with Pacheco they find an identity
and they turn it on and are just good enough
on offense to make enough plays to win the Super Bowl.

(01:28:36):
Who's to say they can't do that again, they're basically
five to zero, undefeated and still trying to get healthy
and be still figure out what they are and what
they have from an offensive skills standpoint.

Speaker 3 (01:28:46):
I mean, that's a great spot to be in.

Speaker 5 (01:28:48):
Yeah, I mean I love it that we're just we're
sitting here as a general football society, not we this show,
but we as a sports society and sitting here talking
in nauseum about the faults of the Chiefs who were undefeated.

Speaker 4 (01:29:01):
Just just let that's okay.

Speaker 5 (01:29:03):
Like, you know what's like maddening is how many teams
right now and how many fan bases can see the
faults for their favorite team and then also have to
accept that their favorite team sucks.

Speaker 4 (01:29:13):
If you're the Chiefs fans, you're like, you know what,
we're faltered this year and might really hurt us when
we eventually maybe lose a game, could cost us home field, Like,
oh my god, it's just well.

Speaker 3 (01:29:24):
Nausy, what what it does? Two fits?

Speaker 6 (01:29:25):
In situations like this, some teams have false sof like,
remember the Giants a couple of years ago when they
made the playoffs, they won what ten eleven games, and
but you look at their schedule and they didn't play anybody,
and the fans knew, you knew.

Speaker 3 (01:29:38):
I go all the way back to the Bears.

Speaker 6 (01:29:40):
And they're winning on defense, and you know they I
think jenningk Jim Miller was a starting quarterback and they
had the eight train back there, and they were winning
games by one score. They get a punt return or
a fluky interception pick six, you knew they weren't any good.
Things were just really bouncing their way. The difference here
is you don't have the greatest, possibly the greatest quarterback
in the history of the sport. That's the difference. Your
wor looking through these issues while having one of the

(01:30:02):
greatest players to ever play still trying to figure out
what they're doing. And that's the scary part.

Speaker 2 (01:30:06):
Who by the way, thirty first eight yards right for attempt? Right, Yeah,
it's unbelievable. But again, when you got you, you lose
your starting running back, your stud back, and then you
lose all your receivers. I mean, what do you expect?
Like that's the that's the whole point.

Speaker 6 (01:30:25):
And your offensive line is still not that great. You know,
you're solid on the interior, but I mean across the board,
your tackles still are not necessarily the strength of your team.
So that's something they still have to overcome, and they
overcame it last year.

Speaker 2 (01:30:37):
And and yeah, I mean that's those two coaches are
the best coaches in the league, man, the one on
offense and one on defense. Man. I know it, I
know it, I see it, I believe it. They are.
They're just tremendous.

Speaker 6 (01:30:51):
I don't understand, considering the state of coaching in this league,
how SPACs can't get another crack out of coaching doesn't
make sense to me.

Speaker 2 (01:30:58):
I was talking to him the other day. He's like,
he's like, listen, I don't care. I'm in to where
I'm the season to worry about because we just we
were talking about Sala and New York because I'm like, yo, dude,
not for nothing, but you know you you with the
Jets would be good, right, And that's me, it's not
He's like, dude, I'm not even thinking about it. But

(01:31:19):
I just say that, and not to talk out of school.
I just say that only because you know, look, it's there.
He deserves another chance. I mean, I don't understand it.
I don't now. I'm watching Peyton the other night and dude,
I mean he was a small, arrogant guy, right yep,

(01:31:43):
but my god, I actually like liked them, Like I
couldn't believe when he was talking to bout Nickson afterwards
he came to the Amazon the post game and I'm
listening to him and he was sincere as all sincere

(01:32:04):
he was. It was beautiful.

Speaker 3 (01:32:05):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:32:05):
He's a great coach. They'll get me. Don't get me
wrong too, Like he's always been a great coach, but
he's always been a prickly dude. And uh, like I
he was talking about the bow Nicks and he was
grabbing on and he's like, we're making memories and this
is what it's about, and like he got perspective. It's

(01:32:26):
it was just a beautiful thing.

Speaker 5 (01:32:29):
It is funny how that growth and perspective is something
that we don't necessarily realize can come over time. Right,
Like I want my players to constantly evolve. I want
my coaches to constantly evolve too, you know, And I
think it's more important than ever because the speed of
the way the game is evolving overall and communication with

(01:32:52):
players is evolving is different than anything we've ever seen.
We keep talking about and heck, if you've listened to
Fox Sports Radio, you've heard you've heard plenty of conversation
about college football coaches that are walking away from the
game because they don't like where the state of college
football is. What I think sometimes we forget is that
that is going to trickle up into the NFL. Like
if you've got kids that are coming into college that are,

(01:33:13):
you know, fully business oriented, changing their mindsets in the
way that they want to communicate what they want and
expect out of their college careers. When they get to
the pros, that's also going to be different. I think
you need coaches that are willing to self evaluate constantly.
That's just such a huge part of You can't get
stuck in your ways anymore, you know, and I know
we will. The example did this is Belichick. Everybody can say, well,

(01:33:36):
Belichick did it his way. Belichick won a lot of
football games before he was able to be Bill Belichick.
And I don't know, now, if you're a coach, if
you can have that same you know, stick My feet
are in cement, this is.

Speaker 4 (01:33:48):
How I do it. This is my way or the highway.

Speaker 5 (01:33:49):
I just don't know that that is going to work
in the modern climate of sports anymore. I think you
have to be more amenable, more pendable. You have to
be more willing to look at yourself in the mirror.
You have to be willing to change your person a
little bit. You have to be willing to argue with
the quarterback on the sideline. Just these are things that
I think are a natural part of the evolution of
the head coaches that we should be asking for.

Speaker 6 (01:34:09):
So that's interesting because you brought up Bill Belichick, who's
not necessarily known for that. But when you talk about
potential openings and there might be one of your neck
of the woods there Anthony, Bill Belichick's name gets brought up.
And I know he has a good relationship with the
Jeffrey Lourie and and it's it's one of the big reasons.

Speaker 3 (01:34:27):
Why he was ousted in New England.

Speaker 6 (01:34:28):
And I know Robert Kraft was on the record and
saying like he had too much power and he went
unchecked for too long, and things, at least from a
talent acquisition standpoint kind of deteriorated. And now whether or
not that was just pure scouting, whether being able to
coach those guys up and the assistant coaches quality went down,
but there is there is an idea or a thought
that the game kind of passed Bill by and he

(01:34:49):
wasn't willing to adjust, and that's why things kind of
started to decline the last four or five years of
his tenure. And you wonder why, if that's a potential,
potentially a reason why Atlanta had she was bringing him in,
or why other teams might have issues with it bringing
him in as the head coach or at the very
least giving him all, you know, worldly power over the
entire organization.

Speaker 2 (01:35:10):
Yeah, I have to tell you, I I don't believe
that Bill Belichick can't coach or the game's passed him by.
I just don't. I don't believe it. I think once
you're that's where you listen to him. Listen to him speak,
oh right now, like when he's on the Manny Cast
and he does Media's great. The guy's brilliant. The guy

(01:35:32):
is actually a brilliant dude. He's always been brilliant. I
remember watching him on an interview interview on CNBC. It
was like a bizarre interview during the height of the
Patriots dynasty where he wasn't doing any media. He comes,
He's on CNBC some show, and he was just captivating.
He was so interesting. The guy's brilliant, Like, I don't

(01:35:56):
care what anybody says, I would hire him tomorrow.

Speaker 5 (01:36:01):
I also think, to your point, though, he is brilliant
and he has immediate, immediate respects when he walks into
the locker room. We keep asking why Belichick disciples don't work. Well,
it's because you can't come in and be Belichick until
you have the resume of Belichick, and you can't get
the resume of Belichick without being somebody other than Belichick. Like,
I think Bill can come in and be whoever he

(01:36:21):
wants to be, because the minute he walks in the room,
you know all you have to do is say, oh.

Speaker 4 (01:36:26):
That's Bill Belichick. I was years ago, this is twenty
years ago.

Speaker 5 (01:36:29):
I was writing a song with a buddy that has
had a bunch of Grammys, He's won a bunch of Grammys,
and we were sitting there, the three of us were
writing a song, and we were arguing over a line
in the song and jokingly, because we're very close friends
at the time.

Speaker 4 (01:36:42):
He walked out of the room.

Speaker 5 (01:36:43):
We were writing at his house and were walking out
of the He walks out of the room to grab water.
He comes back in and he's got water in one
hand and he's just got a bunch of Grammys in
the other like arm, and he just set all the
Grammys down and he's like, so about that line we're
arguing about, and we all laughed because it's like, he's right,
he's got all these Grammys.

Speaker 2 (01:36:59):
If you're Bill grabbing on the table.

Speaker 5 (01:37:02):
And like jokingly, yes, but like he could do that.
The thing is if he was a brand new songwriter
and came in and said, I'm just the way it's
gonna be. Who cares if your Bill?

Speaker 4 (01:37:11):
You walk in and you're like, I think this is
the way that we're gonna do this, and the whole
room is gonna say, okay, you know, as much as
we can sit here from the outside looking in and
talk about you know, Bill, and as the game pass,
you can't tell me as much.

Speaker 5 (01:37:23):
We were talking about Max Crosby earlier. Max just wants
to win. You think if somebody like Bill comes in
and says this is what we're doing. If you're Max,
you're looking around saying, you got a whole fist full
of rings, let's go bro like.

Speaker 3 (01:37:35):
So he can do that, Yeah, no doubt, no doubt.

Speaker 6 (01:37:38):
Now, probably not gonna happen because of how toxic things ended.
But people are already trying to connect dots with Tom
Brady and his ownership stake in the Raiders and whether
or not A he'll have a heavy saying what they
do football wise, and B if that trickles down to
the coaching staff and he would want to influence the
possibility of bringing Belichick in to replace Antonio Pierce. Not
sure if that's the thing. Who knows, I'm not sure.

(01:38:00):
Certainly wouldn't complain, I'll put it that way.

Speaker 2 (01:38:03):
I will say this though, you asked me about the Eagles.

Speaker 6 (01:38:06):
Yes, because that's when he gets linked to all the time,
the Eagles and the Giants are.

Speaker 2 (01:38:10):
By the way, It's it's bad here right.

Speaker 3 (01:38:13):
Like seems like yeah, I can imagine.

Speaker 2 (01:38:15):
It's I mean, I mean, it's a shame. I mean,
and Syrianny's a good dude. I don't know, I mean,
he he's he's this new role, what he is. It
just feels not good and he comes in last week
he shaved his head looking like Travis Bickle. Right, he's

(01:38:37):
getting into with fans, He's yelling at referee. It's like
too emotional. It's it's bad.

Speaker 3 (01:38:43):
You're in the wrong town to attack that way. He
can't react that way.

Speaker 2 (01:38:46):
He just it doesn't feel buttoned up and professional. Right,
Like you know after you know, thirteen fourteen years of
Andy Reid, and he was the height of professionalism, right,
people got because he wasn't entertaining of his news conference.
But like now you get Sirianni. It's he's like night

(01:39:07):
and day.

Speaker 3 (01:39:07):
Right.

Speaker 2 (01:39:08):
Yeah, I will tell you this. I have my coach
and it's not Belichick. As much as I love Belichick,
I don't think he's right for what this team is
now and what it needs. But I had the guy.
I'll run it by by you guys, but I would
go after this guy first. Where the fellas hanging out

(01:40:41):
hey fake hit us the update and then we'll dive
deep back into the coaching thing.

Speaker 6 (01:40:46):
All right, Well, we'll go on to Major League Baseball.
We had two lcs's on Friday night, Yankees. One went
away from a trip to the World Series. They picked
up an eight to six win over the Guardians in Cleveland.
The Bronx Bombers two home runs, one from Juan Soto,
one from gian Carlo stant They actually had three home
runs on the night. I should say they broke up
a six to six tie in the top of the
ninth by scoring a run. Come again, Yeah, it was

(01:41:09):
wells exactly hit the third one of the night for
them as well, and they had broke a six to
six tie on an air some of a shoddy infield
defense to say the least, really from both sides, but
the New York came out on top on the better
side of that one. They have a three to one
series lead and close it out with a victory. Later
tonight met staying alive in the NLCS, they dominate the Dodgers.

Speaker 3 (01:41:28):
They got out to a ten to two lead through
five innings.

Speaker 6 (01:41:30):
Dodgers did close the gap a bit, made a ten
to six on a Mookie Bets home run, but they
did hold on to nache twelve to six victory in
forcing a game six back in Los Angeles that will
take place on Sunday Night. College football BYU scoring a
touchdown in the final seconds to defeat Oklahoma State thirty
eight to thirty five. They remain unbeaten at seven and OH.
Oregon also seven and OH. They shut out Perdue thirty five.

Speaker 3 (01:41:53):
Nothing.

Speaker 6 (01:41:53):
You had victories for Duke and Fresno State. In NFL News,
forty nine Ers running back Jordan Mason off of the
injury report.

Speaker 3 (01:41:59):
He will suit up against the Kansas City Chiefs. Back
to the fellas.

Speaker 2 (01:42:03):
All right, that's as from the ti iraq dot com studios.
So i'll run this by. We're talking about coaches in
case you just joined us. Obviously you know we know
the Jets are going to be in need of a coach, uh,
and there'll be other ones. And figure brought off the
Eagles in Syrianne and they have a big game and

(01:42:25):
it's it's there's still a lot of town here and
I still think it's the they're not completely written off,
but I mean the coaching staff again is not right,
and uh, they'll probably be an opening. And I love
Belichick and he's close to here. NFL Films is located

(01:42:45):
in South Jersey. It's about thirty two minutes from uh
Lincoln Financial Field Overcare facility. So like he's he's in
the backyard and he's brilliant, but he would not be
my guy. They they need stability, the Eagles need. They
had after Andy Reid for all those years. They had

(01:43:07):
Chip Kelly and he was a flame out. They had
Doug Peterson and he won to franchise his first Super Bowl.
But I mean Doug's not really a good coach. Like
he's he was perfect for that team, and that team
just kind of you know, they I don't want to
say lucky, but it all came together in the stars

(01:43:29):
and they went on that magical run. But you know,
you see what's going on to Jacksonville. When he loses
his staff, he runs into Truble, and that's kind of
what happened in both stops. Syrianne feels the same way
he lost. He had that great start. I mean, he's
been in the playoffs his first three years. He could
be the first coach in Eagles history to go to
the playoffs four straight years to start his tenure. It's amazing.

(01:43:53):
But there is a feel that he may not be there,
so they would need stability, and so in lieu of Belichick,
I go Cliff Kingsbury, and I think he would be
And I love Ben Johnson. Ben Johnson is a first
time coach. Kingsbury I believe is really smart. He is

(01:44:16):
as innovative and creative offensively as Ben Johnson is, and
he I loved the second time guy because I think
the second time guy learns from his mistakes and as
great as Ben Johnson is. I watched Brian Dable, who
I also loved in Buffalo Go to the Giants and

(01:44:37):
they're still kind of languishing. I would go if it
was me, I go Kingsbury. I think Kingsbury will be
the next I'll think he'll be in that same vein
as you know Shanahan, McVeigh, all those guys. I think
he's got that kind of those kind of.

Speaker 5 (01:44:53):
Chops, especially when you watch the way he has managed
the development of Jayden. It really does make you turn
around and say, God, that's the sort of guy I
want running the team. And you know, the funny thing
is you're right that a lot of people will roll
their eyes and say, oh, he's already getting another shot.
But I'll go back to a story that I was

(01:45:14):
told a few years ago about a coach that came
in on his brand new it had never been a
head coach, and very true, flipped out one day at
everybody in the organization because he didn't like the toilet
paper and he just absolutely lost his mind. And there
was an indication in the halls of that organization they
were like, Man, this guy's not gonna be it because
he doesn't know what to focus on.

Speaker 4 (01:45:34):
He doesn't know what really matters.

Speaker 5 (01:45:36):
And I've talked to coaches that will tell you that
after they got fired, they went back and recalibrated everything
and tried to figure out what actually mattered. You delegate
better the second time. You understand what's coming at you
the second time. I think there's a lot of value
to a guy getting a second shot, and it's pretty
inevitable that Kingsbury's gonna get one. If I'm a Washington fan,
I'm hoping somehow, some way they can back up the

(01:45:56):
brinstruck and they can get him to stay, you know,
long enough to get Jayden better situated before he leaves.
But that people in hell one Icewater too, Cliff, Kingsbury's
going to get another shot soon.

Speaker 6 (01:46:07):
Yeah, big yeah, because he's he's an innovator, and I
think a lot of the shortcomings in Arizona weren't all
necessarily his fault. I mean, Kylin Murray's played better this year,
but he's also been inconsistent. Kyler Murray, when he's at
his best is great, and when he's not, he's absolutely not.
So Cliff, I think did got the most out of
him when he was healthy that he possibly could. And

(01:46:27):
you see what he's doing with Jayde and Daniels, so
I hadn't really considered Cliff Kingsbury as another as a
head coaching candidate at all over the last couple of
years or so. But yeah, I have to admit what
he's doing with Jaden Daniels has been pretty damn impressive.
So he certainly would not be the worst choice that
the Eagles or another team who needs to do something

(01:46:48):
to spice up their offense a little bit would make.
And look, I remember when they hire Kellen Moore on
the offseason, us talking in and I was like, I
really don't think this is the move that's going to
help them, So, if anything, I think they might take
a half a step back.

Speaker 3 (01:47:00):
Now.

Speaker 6 (01:47:00):
I know they've had some injuries to the wide receiver position,
but they came back healthy last week and it didn't
seem to really do a whole lot.

Speaker 3 (01:47:06):
So they definitely need Something's definitely wrong and that.

Speaker 2 (01:47:10):
They have not scored in the first quarter.

Speaker 3 (01:47:13):
Yeah, how crazy is that?

Speaker 2 (01:47:14):
Their opening scripts are terrible? Yeah, but I will tell
you this, Their issue isn't and this is what nobody
wants to talk about, But their issue isn't with the
head coach or the other First of all, the head
coach barely has enough power to order a meal of
the cafeteria. All right, So he's not calling any plays.

(01:47:35):
There's none of that stuff going on. The issue isn't
even Killimore. The issue is the quarterback, and nobody wants
to talk about it. The quarterback is only feels comfortable
running out of shotgun and running that college offensive they
run and running the RPOs and that's a problem. He

(01:47:55):
doesn't like being under center, and nobody wants to really
talk about it. But you could see go between the lines.
It's an aversion. He's got an aversion to the middle
of the field. He throws low percentage throw uh uh
sideline stuff all all game long to either aj Brown
throwing it up or Devontae Smith. They have enough talent

(01:48:16):
they gotta be used in the middle of the field.
And he's not He's not good. He's a he's a
huge problem. And he's got he's got he's got ability,
and he's had success. But when the coordinators learn how
to take a take one thing away from you. You
gotta be a quarterback. You gotta go through your progressions.

(01:48:37):
You can't be late. There's some issues there and Philadelphia,
because they went through the Wentz debacle, and you know,
Donovan was good, not like or he was very good,
but not all of fame. Like. The quarterback thing is
very delicate here.

Speaker 5 (01:48:56):
By the way, everything you just said speaks to why
I love quarterbacks usually in a three year window, you know.
I think three years gives you a real sense of
the adjustment and the counter adjustment. And what's hard for
a fan base is when you've seen good from a quarterback,
what you've seen really good from a quarterback, you want
to believe that that means that anything that's gone wrong
after that is not the quarterback's fault, but it's a

(01:49:17):
coach's fault. And I don't think I think that's over simplification.

Speaker 4 (01:49:20):
On all of it, you know.

Speaker 5 (01:49:21):
And so now you've got to get somebody in there
that can figure out how to get the best out
of Hurts.

Speaker 4 (01:49:27):
And I don't mean.

Speaker 5 (01:49:28):
That in a way that's derogatory towards Hurts. I think
that sometimes it's okay to say, Okay, this is the player.
We need somebody that can maximize this particular player. Look
at what we've seen from somebody like Jared Goff that
you know, one coach was ready to get rid of
and another coach comes in and says, this is my guy.
You know, it's just that can happen. Sam Darnold is
an example right now of coaching. But if you look

(01:49:51):
at Jalen Hurts and you see what they've gotten from
him in the past, it's hard not to look at
it and say, hey, let's get a quarterback whisper and
hear that will adjust what they do to his strengths.
And you know that, frankly, it only speaks more to
why Cliff Kingsbury would be a good pick there.

Speaker 2 (01:50:07):
Well, and that's kind of my aim because you know,
I'm locked into a big contract now. I think there's
some outs, but yeah, I'm locked into a big contract
for now, and you know, I wanted to see if
I could salvage it. At My hunch is this, though.
My hunch is again, we've seen this before, unless the

(01:50:27):
quarterback is going to try to remake himself and that's
hard to do. And it's hard to do from an
ego standpoint too, when you've had great success like Jalen
had amazing success the twenty twenty two years where they
go to the Super Bowl and he was incredible in
the Super Bowl. But when you look and you analyze, look.

Speaker 3 (01:50:49):
Back on it.

Speaker 2 (01:50:51):
What allowed him to throw with great success was the
fact that they had defenses on its on their heels
because of the RPOs and rprs. So that meant when
Jalen threw the ball, he wasn't under great the rest
and when defense is finally caught up to that Reid

(01:51:12):
option offense, and you saw what Todd Bowles did in
the playoffs and just unleashed the way to beat him
and start blitzing him, and all of a sudden, he's
not running the throw. That's a problem if you can't
come back. And it's always about all right, well what's
my counter, and they have yet to come up with

(01:51:34):
the counter.

Speaker 6 (01:51:35):
Well, the question is gonna be does that person exist
that can coach it out of him?

Speaker 3 (01:51:39):
Or is this who he is?

Speaker 6 (01:51:40):
I think you're asking the same question in Jacksonville with
Trevor Lawrence right now. I mean, Doug Peterson's likely out
of the door at the end of this season, and
whoever's being brought in is going to be brought into
for one specific reason. Fix Trevor Lawrence because he just
signed a genormous extension. He's not going anywhere and sometimes
it just is it fixed.

Speaker 2 (01:51:58):
You know what, it's a great cop they're the same.

Speaker 3 (01:52:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:52:00):
In fact, if you're You're Kingsbury or Ben Johnson, obviously
Ben Johnson will be the top candidate. But if you're
one of those guys, which one you going to?

Speaker 6 (01:52:12):
I would probably go to Jacksonville because I just feel
from a classic quarterback skill set, I think Trevor Lawrence
kind of fits more. I think you're going to have
a more expansive playbook with his natural skills than you
can with Jalen.

Speaker 5 (01:52:24):
I'm never going to Jacksonville. It's it's an uninvested owner
that doesn't pay enough attention. I won't be relevant enough
of a franchise. I can't win at a high enough
level to become a household name. I cannot become a
legendary coach from the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Speaker 2 (01:52:36):
It's a great point. It's a great point. Plus, you
spend a lot of time in London. Yeah, you can
become a legend a legendary coach. I think franchise moves
the London Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:52:47):
Yeah, and then you got to pay the taxes for
that stuff too. Whoo, I'm out on that out out.

Speaker 2 (01:52:51):
Hey, nothing for nothing though, yeah, you know you make
that kind of money.

Speaker 6 (01:52:55):
I mean, all right, boy, Yeah, it's like when people
were talking about all Tiny's contract and there are just like,
oh my god, inflation and it's it's like he made
close to a billion dollars.

Speaker 3 (01:53:05):
That's almost inflation by tax. Yeah, it doesn't care. I'll
gladly write the check, right.

Speaker 5 (01:53:11):
I mean we all say that, but we all also
know that we're cheap enough that when you see the
tax bill, you'd be.

Speaker 4 (01:53:16):
Like, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait wait I paid how
much of taxit?

Speaker 3 (01:53:18):
I'm just saying, that's right. It was like, oh, I
don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:53:20):
A rich person that doesn't complain about tax.

Speaker 6 (01:53:23):
Would be like our friend Rob Parker playing about the
seven eleven up the streets, like, what do you mean
so it was forty nine?

Speaker 3 (01:53:28):
Says last week?

Speaker 6 (01:53:29):
What do you mean it's fifty two? This is an outrage.
That's a true story.

Speaker 2 (01:53:33):
By the way, Oh that's fantastic. All right, fellas, we
gotta take a quick break. I do have to tell
you about hate the Face.

Speaker 3 (01:53:41):
Oh yes, we haven't gotten that.

Speaker 2 (01:53:42):
I get to show you, Yeah, because you'll you'll love
that fency where the fellas hanging right here at Fox
Sports Radio. All right, fellas from the tire rat dot
Com studio, So Fitch. You ever see somebody and they
you know movies, TV, real people realize the whole thing.

(01:54:06):
They got a face and the face and listen, they
could be the greatest people in the world. But normally
it actually works. Somehow they have this face and it's
just a punishable face, like you're not you're not trying

(01:54:26):
to it's not being mean, and I'm doing this in jest,
but they gotta hate the face like they wear a
cocky face or push on their face like that face
is a hate the face. You see them on the
screen and you go on when it's punishable, and I

(01:54:48):
say it with all respect.

Speaker 4 (01:54:52):
I love it respectfully as long as you say that,
you know, bless their heart.

Speaker 2 (01:54:55):
In the other than like it's funny, it's the guys
that hate the face, like you know what I'm talking about.

Speaker 3 (01:55:02):
There are people that have hate the faces.

Speaker 4 (01:55:05):
Look for years, we've all heard the resting bee face phrase.

Speaker 2 (01:55:09):
You know.

Speaker 5 (01:55:10):
I had a friend come up to me once not
too long ago. He told me that I have resting,
disinterested face. Like when people are telling me this story,
I just look like I'm not interested. And I was like, god,
that's so true, Like my eyes gloss over.

Speaker 4 (01:55:24):
If it's just if.

Speaker 3 (01:55:25):
It's like you actually are not interested in what people
say to you.

Speaker 4 (01:55:30):
Look, I'm interested, Okay, So I'll admit that. Like I'm
a solver to a fault.

Speaker 5 (01:55:35):
So when somebody just wants to vent about a problem,
if I feel like I have a solution in thirty seconds,
I don't want to hear the next four and a
half minutes of your story.

Speaker 4 (01:55:43):
Let's just solve the problem and move along O day.
So I'll fake that.

Speaker 5 (01:55:47):
In times, this makes me a difficult you know, difficult
where it's like, Okay, I got it, I got the
crux of your story. I know where you're going. We
can stop this conversation. Now I've solved the problem. Let's
move on. I realized that doesn't make it. That's just
not people want. Sometimes I get that. So I'm resting
disinterested face. But I'm like, just you know, there's there
is some level of.

Speaker 4 (01:56:06):
Just a punchable face is a real thing. They're they're
likability is.

Speaker 5 (01:56:10):
A real factor for for I don't care if we're
talking about athletes or movie stars or musicians, like having
a likable.

Speaker 2 (01:56:16):
Face matters politicians like, oh yeah, I mean people just
hate this guy Gottee.

Speaker 5 (01:56:27):
You walk by somebody, you just feel like they're judging
you because all they did was make eye contact. But
you don't like the way they've like curled their lip
when they do it, like.

Speaker 6 (01:56:34):
This is real in society, It is real. I'm just
I don't like that face you're making. It's like, what face.

Speaker 3 (01:56:41):
My face?

Speaker 4 (01:56:43):
Exactly?

Speaker 5 (01:56:43):
How many times have any of us walk by and
been like with a group of guys, you know, your friends,
and all of a sudden you hear like, what's that
guy's problem? You look over it's like, I don't know, man,
maybe he's just maybe he's just gassy, maybe he's got
a tummy issue, like maybe maybe he had nothing to
do with you.

Speaker 4 (01:56:59):
But we all are immediately like, what's what's his problem?

Speaker 3 (01:57:02):
He was eye see that?

Speaker 2 (01:57:03):
Yeah, that looks what's your beef?

Speaker 3 (01:57:06):
Right?

Speaker 2 (01:57:09):
I got no beef? You got a face? That's my face,
like you can see it. Sean Peyton has to hate
the face for years. He had to hate the face.

Speaker 3 (01:57:20):
Now along with that, now, what did you say? He
looked like? So? So it was great by the way. Yeah,
you ever see the.

Speaker 5 (01:57:30):
Great It's maybe my favorite Christmas character.

Speaker 2 (01:57:35):
Not ok he looks like he's out of Whovill.

Speaker 4 (01:57:40):
Okay, looks like right?

Speaker 3 (01:57:42):
Does he look like a who?

Speaker 4 (01:57:43):
He's a who? Oh God, that's.

Speaker 3 (01:57:49):
Like, I mean, my man, my Man's from who?

Speaker 2 (01:57:51):
Will come on?

Speaker 3 (01:57:53):
Now?

Speaker 4 (01:57:53):
Every time I see him, I'm just gonna.

Speaker 3 (01:57:55):
Be yeah, I mean I basically do.

Speaker 2 (01:58:01):
And listen. Like for years I was like, and people
are rat We'll tell you great Coach Prickly fell. But man,
the other night, I can't believe it. I was like, Man,
I I felt I felt well, like I vibe with him,

(01:58:21):
Like I felt like I wanted to go to Whoville
and play for him.

Speaker 4 (01:58:27):
Does that make you the Grinch in this one?

Speaker 5 (01:58:29):
Like, and by the way, the hottest of hot takes,
because I'm a Grinch fanatic. The Benedict Cumberbatch animated Grinch
is the best of the Grinches. But just just throwing
that out and the Jim Carry carry, No, the Jim
Carry is the worst of the Grinches. It's just yeah, no,
I'm not really in on anything about the Jim Carrey Grinch,
but now.

Speaker 4 (01:58:49):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:58:49):
It's just it's it's overdone. I don't love the way
it shot. I don't love the movie. It's really has
tried to be super intense. Like I just I think
there's there's a charmed to the Grinch that it didn't capture.

Speaker 4 (01:59:02):
Anyone for me.

Speaker 3 (01:59:03):
Where are you Christmas? Not in apparently?

Speaker 2 (01:59:05):
All right?

Speaker 3 (01:59:06):
Wow?

Speaker 5 (01:59:06):
Every I mean, like, let me tell you the day
after Halloween, when I'm taking all this Halloween stuff down,
I'm listening to Mariah Carey and Pentatonics. While I do
like that, the Christmas is big for me. Boys, just
not Grinch, not not Jim Carrey's Grinch.

Speaker 3 (01:59:19):
That's a hot take.

Speaker 2 (01:59:20):
That's fantastic. All right, fellas listening to sports. Good morning,
good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning, every buddy, welcome,
This is the fellas, like the man said Jason Fitz
Anthony Gargano. And of course Kevin figures back from paternity

(01:59:43):
to leave with his beautiful son. And it's great to
have everybody back to get her hanging. Uh, Brianna producing,
and of course some mighty muddy Mark is our technical engineer,
sound engineer. Fantastic. Uh, all right, we got lots to
get to. We come to you live from the ti
Raq dot Com studios. Tirac dot com will help you

(02:00:05):
get there fast, free shipping, free road as a prediction
over ten thousand recommended installers. Tirac dot com the way
tire buying should be. Let's get right to it. We
got lots of stuff to still tackle, and let's go
over the events of the weekend, because this is a
weekend where we all it's sports gasmic, like, this is

(02:00:28):
a weekend where we're all gonna love it, like this
is why we do sports talk radios. But we can
talk about this stuff and dive into it, all right,
So let's go through the super events from the week
of this weekend, and I'm gonna go each one and
let's give our summation and kind of analyze what we

(02:00:51):
see for these games. We'll start. I know we talked
about it earlier, but let's let's bring it back because
it's a big deal. Let's start with Texas and Georgia,
the jewel of tonight, FITZI.

Speaker 5 (02:01:06):
I think Texas is and has been the most complete
team throughout the course of this entire college football season.
But they are going to get tested here in a
way they haven't been. So I think this is a
really good opportunity to see how they look through that test.
Let's be honest, they haven't taken on a team like Georgia.
Nobody has, right, Like, that's the beauty of these matchups
that we get. These are playoff caliber matchups that we're

(02:01:28):
getting out of the gate here. So Texas obviously has
done everything that you could ask them to do. But
also they haven't played a quarterback against a quarterback like
Carson Beck.

Speaker 4 (02:01:38):
And this is a real proven moment for Carson Beck.
Remember he started this.

Speaker 5 (02:01:41):
Season as the Heisman favorite, right, and those wheels fell
off pretty quickly because he hasn't played well enough. Well,
this is his opportunity to have his moment. This is
Texas's opportunity to have their moments. So I do think
it's it's closer than some might think, because I'm not
sure that we're giving Georgia enough credit. So Georgia team
at the back against the wall, but man, I just

(02:02:02):
don't know how you beat this Texas team. This Texas
team is complete, complimentary football both sides of the ball.

Speaker 2 (02:02:07):
Yeah, and I do think this Georgia defense isn't as
stout as it was.

Speaker 5 (02:02:13):
So I think a good point by you too, like that.
That's we we think that Georgia is going to reload
every year. Then they've reloaded ish like it. It's like,
this is that moment where it's good but it's not.
It's not what it's been. You know, this is going
to your favorite restaurant. They change chefs and it's like
it's still good, but it isn't epic worth driving you know,
four hours and spending three hundred dollars for dinner for right,

(02:02:35):
Like that's it's still very good, it's just not in
that same level.

Speaker 2 (02:02:39):
Fig.

Speaker 6 (02:02:40):
Yeah, and that's why I think Texas is going to
have a field day scoring points against that Georgia defense.

Speaker 3 (02:02:45):
And I just don't know if Georgia is going to
be able again.

Speaker 6 (02:02:48):
They're going to score points, but uh, and I think
it's going to be a somewhat high scoring affair, you know,
high twenties or it's just like you know, twenty eight
thirty five, something like that. But I believe Texas has
the upper hand, you know, as you mentioned, FITZI I
think they're just a more complete team. I think if
George is gonna have success, they're gonna have to try
to find a way to run the ball, which they
have not done well.

Speaker 3 (02:03:06):
At all this season.

Speaker 6 (02:03:08):
And if you're just gonna drop back and have Texas,
you know, pass rushing tee off on you, I think
that's a bad recipe for Carson Beck.

Speaker 3 (02:03:14):
So I do think they'll keep it close.

Speaker 6 (02:03:16):
I don't think either team's gonna win in a blowout situation,
but I have to give the edge to Texas. I
think Texas wins, you know, probably buy a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (02:03:24):
All right.

Speaker 4 (02:03:25):
By the way, I like Texas by ten.

Speaker 5 (02:03:28):
Okay, convincing, I think it is. Yeah, I think this
is a big statement. Now, it's not a shellacking. It's
a close game, but ten points it feels. I know
that's a little rich, but I'm going a little.

Speaker 4 (02:03:39):
Rich this morning.

Speaker 3 (02:03:40):
Okay, all right, I like it. I like it going.

Speaker 2 (02:03:42):
I was a little rich. All right, let's go and
let's look at Alabama.

Speaker 3 (02:03:50):
Kindnessese, it's interesting because this.

Speaker 2 (02:03:53):
Line right now, Alabama, I mean, it's pretty interesting. The
Alabama is a three point favorite at Tennessee and the
totals fifty seven. I'll start with you, FITZI, what do
you think if Alabama tixty.

Speaker 4 (02:04:11):
Seven is man?

Speaker 5 (02:04:13):
That fifty seven number feels good to me like, I mean,
this is gonna be a lot of points. I when
you've got two teams as evenly matched as they are,
I'm gonna trust the quarterback that I think can save
his team out of more plays, and that's Jalen Milroe
right now. I mean, Jalen Milroe is slim down, he's
the fastest as we keep hearing. But also he's doing

(02:04:35):
a really nice job of being very Jadeen Daniels ask
in the sense that he's using his legs.

Speaker 4 (02:04:40):
To set up his arm.

Speaker 5 (02:04:41):
It's the progression of Jalen Milroe has been a delight
this year. And I know Alabama hasn't looked particularly good.
The loss to South here or the near loss I
should say to South Carolina pretty inexcusable, But it felt
like both teams have been a little out of rhythm
for the last couple of weeks. I don't know if
that's because they're holding something back for this moment, but man,

(02:05:01):
this is a big, big moment for Jalen.

Speaker 4 (02:05:04):
It's a big moment for Kaitlin de Boor.

Speaker 5 (02:05:06):
I mean, if you're Alabama and you take your second
loss now, I certainly had to ecro earlier this season
because it looked like Alabama was far better than I
thought they would be. But one of the things I
say coming into the year is that no SABAN means
you're gonna lose some games you wouldn't lose like. I
just think Saban's that much of an advantage. And what
do we see? So we've seen that once at this

(02:05:29):
point for Alabama, will we see it again? I just
if Alabama goes out there and loses and now they've
taken two on the tone around Kaitlyn to Boor, the
pressure around the program.

Speaker 4 (02:05:39):
Just gets pretty hot and heavy.

Speaker 5 (02:05:41):
So the two teams are their backs up against the wall,
two teams that are gonna play with the level of desperation.
I just Jalen Milroe makes a game winning play with
his legs.

Speaker 6 (02:05:50):
In my mind, I mean, considering Alabama's played win or
lose last few weeks. I think the pressure is on
Kaitlyn de Bor. It's just not the standard of Alabama
football that you're used to seeing. I mean, to have
Vanderbilt toy with you the way that they did and
not being able to get off the field on third
downs is just unheard of. So you're used to the
high wire rack and the PAC twelve with Washington and
having tight games unpacked twelve after dark with Arizona and

(02:06:12):
teams like that. It's a different beast in the SEC.
I do think he debor needs kind of a convincing
statement win, and I think he gets it here. I
agree with you with you about the fact that Jaylen
Merrol though the playmaker at quarterback, the way that they
can make explosive plays against the Tennessee defense, which I
don't think has been challenged much by quality offenses this year.

(02:06:32):
And on the other side, Ala Man the Aavez struggled
so much recently when he stepped up in competition. Alabama's
defense might not be that great, but it's still SEC competition.
This is not, you know, the compared to what they
played earlier in the year. So I think if it's
fifty seven on the number, I can see Alabama scoring
thirty five or thirty four of that fifty seven. I'm

(02:06:54):
seeing a fairly convincing victory on Alabama side.

Speaker 2 (02:06:57):
Personally, all right, I like it. I think it's funny.
The same thing. I mean, who do you trust of
the quarterbacks? I think we all agree it's mil Row
and it's Alabama that is tested, and it's fair to
point out who Tennessee played, like I love the story
of the vows, but who'd you play?

Speaker 4 (02:07:19):
Man?

Speaker 2 (02:07:19):
And I love your defense? But have you seen Milroe yet?
So I think we're unanimous that we're all with Bama.
So we're all with Texas and we're all with Bama.

Speaker 4 (02:07:32):
I'm thinking Bama by six, by the way, Bama by six.

Speaker 2 (02:07:35):
All right? And you like it would be more margin, fig.

Speaker 6 (02:07:39):
Yeah, I like it had a bit of a wider margin.
I just think Tennessee is going to strugg even against
a troubled Alabama defense. I think Tennessee the blueprint is
out there and how to stop how to stop them.

Speaker 3 (02:07:48):
So unless Ila.

Speaker 6 (02:07:50):
Maliava finds it and they're they're able to start hitting
big plays downfield, which I don't think they will overnight. Yeah,
I think it's going to be a you know, a
fairly convincing Alabama win by between ten and seventeen points.

Speaker 2 (02:08:02):
All right, and fifty gives you fifty gives you Texas
by double digit, so should be interesting. All right, Let's
go NFL because it's a big NFL day, really big games,
really interesting games. Let's start. Let's go to Lambeau Green
Bay for two Packers against the five and one Texans.

(02:08:23):
I'd love Green Bay Sunday. Now, you know how I
feel about the quarterback. I've liked the quarterback a ton Man.
I just think he's terrific. I love the coach. I
think the I think Laflora's got them going. I love
them someday. I think this is gonna be a great game.
But I like the Packers.

Speaker 3 (02:08:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:08:44):
And by the way, I mean, I think, you know,
it's fair to say that I've been very critical.

Speaker 4 (02:08:48):
Of Jordan Love. We all know that.

Speaker 5 (02:08:50):
But part of my criticism of Jordan Love, to be
fair on all of that, has been you know, I
want to see more. You know, I don't think that's
a hot take for me to say, I just want
to see more out of the.

Speaker 4 (02:09:01):
Quarterback before I fall in love.

Speaker 5 (02:09:02):
Well, no, we're certainly getting to that heavy dating stage,
like because you want to talk about seeing more, we've
seen more.

Speaker 4 (02:09:10):
Used to.

Speaker 5 (02:09:12):
I'm I'm you know, I'm I'm subtly at least you
want my eyes with the guy from the beginning, All.

Speaker 6 (02:09:20):
Right, quarterback is fits there you go, Well, you know
that's what I'm going just walking around.

Speaker 4 (02:09:26):
Now I'm in the bar. I'm like, I'm in shape.
I'm just stealing your girl. I'm not finding my own.

Speaker 2 (02:09:30):
Come on, got ads not to take my girls.

Speaker 5 (02:09:37):
I mean, that's the next progression on it. You know,
I'm just gonna walk up and be like, is this
your boyfriend?

Speaker 3 (02:09:41):
Great?

Speaker 4 (02:09:41):
And how many platinum records does he have? Okay, so
I would say this, that's terrible.

Speaker 5 (02:09:47):
I think there's a level of what we're seeing from
Jordan love is comfort and confidence, and that's just it's
palpable on tape right, Like you just watch where he's
delivering the ball, how he's delivering the ball. I'm looking
at somebody that I, I, to be fair, said I
wanted to see more. If I'm going to say that,
then when I see more and it looks really good,
I need to acknowledge that. So I'm with you on

(02:10:08):
this this just and I I really think that Lafleur,
the head coach and Laflour the offensive mind here is
showing a little bit of the best of what he
can be.

Speaker 4 (02:10:19):
You know this.

Speaker 5 (02:10:19):
Yeah, he's using he's using the running backs, he's using
the weapons. He's using it like the play calling is
you don't know what's coming. You don't know how it's coming.
I really like where the Packers are right now. I
like him in this game too.

Speaker 6 (02:10:31):
I'm actually surprised. I thought i'd be on an island.
We're actually going to have a clean sweep here. Because
I also like green Bay against Houston.

Speaker 3 (02:10:39):
Also, yeah, I'm a Stroud guy too, you know, I
like to Yeah, I think we all like c J.

Speaker 2 (02:10:43):
Straud, but I just I love this matchup and I
could see I smell it now. I like the way
the Packers are playing.

Speaker 6 (02:10:50):
Right yeah, you know at home, you know, at green
Bay with the you know, the logger grass, they're like
you mentioned, they're mixing it up a lot more, getting
the run game involved. Their defense, I think is very underrated,
despite you know, I think their tops in the league
in takeaways are pretty high up there. And you know, no,
Nico Collins is a big loss. I know they guy
Joe Mixon.

Speaker 3 (02:11:09):
Back huge, huge, but that's big.

Speaker 6 (02:11:11):
That's your big play guy, you know, and you're gonna
need to make a big place to be able to
win this game, and I don't think Houston's gonna be
able to So it's a clean sweep.

Speaker 3 (02:11:18):
I like Green Bay two.

Speaker 2 (02:11:20):
All right, Minnesota Detroit? I mean, are you kidding me?

Speaker 3 (02:11:25):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (02:11:26):
So the unbeaten Vikings, Starlings of the NFC, the Darnalds
of the NFC with a great defense and Flores is
what a great defensive coordinator he is host the Lions.
So this is the great offense versus the great defense.

(02:11:50):
Minnesota's a favorite one and a half. I honestly had
no read other than I think I like Minnesota only
because is Detroit the way the league is set up,
and Detroit has that they just barry annihilate the Cowboys,
and the way they didn't put everything on tape. They

(02:12:13):
were just ridiculous. You know, there's always like a week
to week regression or whatever change. But I just think
this is a great football game.

Speaker 5 (02:12:26):
This is one of the rare games that, no matter
the outcome, will have an actual, real and necessary angle storyline.
Because to me, if Minnesota is able to put golf
and that offense into a blender the way they have
with every other quarterback so far, now you got to
look at it and say, Okay, this is one of
those things that is going to be the theme of

(02:12:47):
the season.

Speaker 4 (02:12:48):
Minnesota is going to be taken seriously because Flores is
just out.

Speaker 5 (02:12:51):
He's playing better chess than everybody else, right Like, so
if they're able to really thwart this Lion's attack, then
we're going to have to step back and say, let's
stop talking about you know this like it's a fun thing,
or Sam Darnold like is an anomaly or any of that. Like,
let's start talking about the Vikings and their Super Bowl plans.
If this is if the Lions come out, and that's

(02:13:13):
not the case, the Lions come out and absolutely just
tear it up, then you know, the legend of Ben
Johnson continues to grow. But then also I think we're
probably gonna start to have to have some pretty real
conversations about whether Jared Goff is the MVP of the
NFL right now, and just if he's the one quarterback
they can do what no other good quarterback has done.

Speaker 4 (02:13:31):
Minnesota has absolutely annihilated good quarterbacks this year.

Speaker 5 (02:13:35):
So if Golf and this offense are able to get
through it, then the legend of Ben Johnson the offensive
coordinator grows. But specifically for right now, I think that
the Jared Goff support train is about to get a
big old choo Choo coming out like, I would not
put money on this game.

Speaker 4 (02:13:50):
I have no idea how this game.

Speaker 5 (02:13:51):
Plays out, but I think this is one of the
most interesting games of the season.

Speaker 3 (02:13:54):
Yeah, I wouldn't touch it.

Speaker 6 (02:13:56):
But first of all, I we'll say, Aaron Jones, which
looks like he's gonna play, is huge h for Minnesota.
But the big thing is Minnesota, I believe, is a
top ranked rush defense in the NFL. And we know
that Detroit wants to run the ball down your throat.
That's where the game is going to be won and lost.
Here at Golf for his greate as he's played this
year in high completion percentage and perfect quarterback ratings and

(02:14:17):
all that, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:14:18):
It's all off there.

Speaker 6 (02:14:19):
He's not dropping back and I'm not saying he can't
do it, and I look, I've seen him do it,
you know, dropping back forty times a game, but not
every game. That's not what Detroit doesn't want to play
that way, and the Vikings have forced teams to play
that way, and when they do, they tee off on you.
So if I had to lean in one particular direction,
I would I think love. The loss of Aden Hudgerson
hurts a lot too. I would lean towards Minnesota, but

(02:14:42):
I certainly am not going to short change the lines.
It will not be surprised whatsoever if they were to win.
So I mean, look, right now, I'm picking Minnesota. Talk
to me in fifteen minutes, I might take Detroit.

Speaker 2 (02:14:51):
It's it's that guy that game a typic game.

Speaker 5 (02:14:56):
Let me ask you this because we all we've talked already.

Speaker 4 (02:14:59):
If you missed, go check it out on the podcast.

Speaker 5 (02:15:01):
We talked a lot about the Max crossby portion of
the you know, wanting a trade, and I believe me,
my phone has been been blowing up for days. You know,
the line's gonna trade for for Max. The line's gonna
trade for Max. I would ask why we're not having
the same conversation about Josh Heinz, Allen the past rushing
down in Jacksonville, even Miles Garrett. I mean, the Browns
are a disaster. They just traded Amari Cooper, but they

(02:15:22):
don't have a quarterback.

Speaker 3 (02:15:23):
Can't do that. They can't move Garrett, I can't anymore
than the Raiders.

Speaker 4 (02:15:29):
Max.

Speaker 2 (02:15:30):
Well, here's why, because you still have the bones of
a good team, right.

Speaker 3 (02:15:35):
You have a lot of talent on that roster.

Speaker 2 (02:15:37):
The quarterback is horrific, horrendous.

Speaker 3 (02:15:42):
They just have to have to cover that well.

Speaker 6 (02:15:46):
The fixes the owner swallowing his pride and saying he
made a bad decision and cut me.

Speaker 3 (02:15:52):
Yes, but the owner, here's where he over screwed up.

Speaker 2 (02:15:55):
They could be challenging for a playoff spot, a freaking
Joe flackos They still there easily.

Speaker 4 (02:16:03):
I don't disagree with that. There are people that there
are insiders I've talked to that have said that it
was very clear DeShawn was not okay with having Joe
Flacco there.

Speaker 2 (02:16:12):
So, oh, I know that, I'm with you. I know
the story.

Speaker 3 (02:16:14):
I mean so like, there's no way they were going
to bring.

Speaker 2 (02:16:17):
Him back between the fans between Watson, the fans called
for Flacco, there was there was no there was no
way they were going to bring him back.

Speaker 4 (02:16:26):
And I hear you.

Speaker 5 (02:16:28):
All I'm saying is that the dead cap hit on
Deshaun Watson post June first, which is the best, the
fanciest designation they could get. The dead cap hit next
year on a post June first is one hundred and
nineteen million dollars. Like they're done, They're cooked. There is
no answer. They like, but there, if.

Speaker 2 (02:16:46):
You have no teams, go to I got, I got Jabis.
I would go with Jabe anything but that dude. And
they have talent around like you get shot back. That
defense is still good.

Speaker 3 (02:16:59):
That's a championship level defense.

Speaker 4 (02:17:00):
It is.

Speaker 3 (02:17:01):
They just get some help from the offense.

Speaker 2 (02:17:03):
I'm not.

Speaker 3 (02:17:05):
I'm trading him.

Speaker 5 (02:17:07):
I don't disagree with I don't disagree with where you
where you're coming from in principal. I but you traded
Amari and you didn't did how did trading?

Speaker 2 (02:17:15):
It is the guy that you would trade. He's a veteran.
You got something, you can get something for him.

Speaker 3 (02:17:22):
This year is a wash.

Speaker 2 (02:17:23):
I hear what you're saying about next year. But if
I get it, I like, I'll take a flyer on
any of those other quarterbacks. And I listen, and I'll
take a shot with Jamis, I'll take a shot with whoever.

Speaker 3 (02:17:36):
And I really would I I would do that. But
Cooper makes sense to trade.

Speaker 5 (02:17:42):
The other hard part about all of this, And look,
I don't have any reporting on this. I'm just saying
common sense to me. Deshaun's already been paid out so
much money. You gotta be a little careful here. Because
if you bench him and he's like, you know what,
I'll just retire. Now you got to eat everything up
front too, Like I think the Browns, He's got the
brown under over a barrel. There's literally nothing Cleveland could

(02:18:03):
do if he came in tomorrow and said you don't
want to play me, I'll retire. Then the rest of
his contract hits the books then, which would be catastrophic.

Speaker 2 (02:18:10):
But I listen, I don't I'm gonna be like, what's
his name? And uh, I don't bar in. Uh what's
the freaking movie? Damn it? I lost it. Anyway, I'm
not gonna bargain. I'm not taking that the future, thank you,
Mighty Mark the Fugitive. Remember in The Fugitive, he's like,

(02:18:30):
I don't bargain. I don't do it. I'm not bargaining
with you want to come in and threat retirement to
go ahead, loser, take all your money, get out, and
I'll deal with it.

Speaker 3 (02:18:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:18:41):
I mean, I know it's not as severe or of
a hit in Denver with what they did with Russell Wilson,
but yeah, I just do that and just eat it.
And if you have to have a bridge here like that,
like like the Broncos are having this year, so be it.
The franchise will be better off the lock off.

Speaker 5 (02:18:57):
The crazy thing is that the Browns have two more
fully years before they can even get to the Russell
Wilson level salary cap hit. Two more full years, That's
what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (02:19:06):
Like they are in every possible way, this organization is
just they're They're ft. I'm saying it the polite way. Sorry,
Browns fans, your f there's just no nice way to
say it.

Speaker 2 (02:19:18):
I hear you, but I got news for you. I
can't I can't watch that guy play quarterback. If I'm
a Browns fan, I can't watch him.

Speaker 3 (02:19:28):
He's horrible.

Speaker 2 (02:19:29):
He's horrible, He's got a horrible attitude, he stinks.

Speaker 3 (02:19:35):
It's just to the point where I'll deal.

Speaker 2 (02:19:38):
With the ramifications and I'll try to win moneyball way right,
like I'll try to win with a cheap and guyle
and everything else. I'm not trading Miles Garrett and I
I just can't watch that guy play another snack.

Speaker 6 (02:19:52):
And a certain part. If you're a stefancy, you're like,
I don't have to deal with this. I'm just gonna resign.
It's gonna if it's gonna push me to that level.
And you're telling because I'm gon lose the respect of
the players in the locker room if I keep running
this guy out here and everybody knows he's terrible.

Speaker 2 (02:20:05):
Yeah, exactly, Nah, I can't do it. All right, we
got to take quick t o the brain's going to

would you absolutely?

Speaker 6 (02:20:42):
We'll start with Friday night in Major League Baseball with
the Yankees getting a couple of home runs from Gencarlo
Stan and Juan Soto, helping them to win eight to
six victory over the Gardens Guardians. In Game four of
the ALCS, Emmanuel Class, a star closer for Cleveland, took
the loss after allowing a couple of earned runs on
three hit New York a three to one series lead.

(02:21:02):
They can advance to the World Series what they win
in Game five later tonights. Their crosstown counterparts, the Mets,
stavedolf elimination. In Game five of the NLDS. They defeated
the Dodgers twelve to six, a three run home run
there for Pete Alonso, LA starter Jack Flaherty eight earned
runs on eight hits in just three innings of work.
LA With a three to two lead in that series,

(02:21:22):
they will host Game six on Sunday Night. College football
on Friday thirteen, thring By you got a late touchdown
pass to come back and defeat Oklahoma State thirty eight
to thirty five. They are seven to oh second ring
Oregon also seven to zero after they got two touchdown
passes from Dylan Gabriel and a thirty five nothing shut
out victory over Purdue Duke six to one. On the
season after beating Florida State, who was won in six,

(02:21:44):
and the WNBA Finals headed to a decisive Game five
after Minnesota defeated New York eighty two to eighty.

Back to the Fellas, all right, brother, we appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (02:22:02):
Are man the.

Speaker 2 (02:22:03):
Inside of the Brain.

Speaker 3 (02:22:05):
Brad Feiberg, Good morning, brain.

Speaker 7 (02:22:08):
How are you, buddy? Great great weekend?

Speaker 3 (02:22:10):
Huh oh my god, it's just awesome.

Speaker 2 (02:22:13):
I mean, it really is. Why don't we start with
today and start in college and you know we'll tackle
the big games first. So let's begin with Texas and Georgia.

Speaker 7 (02:22:25):
You know what sing listen. You know when you look
at this game, you know we talk about Georgia. Who
the one thing about Georgia the last at least six
seven years, this has been a team that has obviously
been a top elite team under coach mart but they've
always had a great defense. Not this year. This year,
their defense has been rather pedestrian, and it's been not

(02:22:46):
the dominant sec typically Georgia defense we've seen year of
the year of the year we've seen Alabama scored forty
some points against them, Weavens Hall, Mississippi State scored thirty
one points against them. I think Texas is the best
team in college football this year. I really do. While

(02:23:08):
I respect Georgia and I have a lot of respect
for Georgia's offense not so much for their defense. I
think Texas scores points here and again I know, I
mean you discussed on one of year says earlier that
team total wise, I think Texas gets in the thirties here.
I like their team total over out of the units
in this game, I trust George's defense the least, and

(02:23:29):
I trust Texas' offense the most. I think Texas scores
over thirty here. I like their team total over and
I think they cover the game as well.

Speaker 2 (02:23:37):
Yeah, it moved up since we talked about it. We
did it on Wednesday. Fellas and Brad and I and
I love that play. I think it's going up their
team total, is that right?

Speaker 7 (02:23:49):
It has it's but again I think that the game
total has gone up, and that's and that's the reason
the game total has gone up. But it's still you
should be able to attend should we get Still, there's
still some thirty ones out there, so I mean, and again,
I do think that I will be surprised if this

(02:24:09):
team does not score that against this Georgia defense. I
really just don't trust this Georgia defense. That's what it
comes down to. Maybe Georgia has a great game in them,
it's certainly possible. I mean obviously really well coached plum
or whatnot. And the game, it's funny of the game
one up to the line, one up to five, okay,

(02:24:30):
and now down the four and a half. So there
has been some Georgia money lowering it down. But at
the game total, you could it's gonna between fifty seven
and fifty six and a half. It's entering between those
two numbers with only fifty six half fifty seven and
a half, but you can still get a thirty one
for their team total, and I like they're over all right.

Speaker 5 (02:24:52):
So let's take a look at the other big game
we've been talking about today. The Tide roll into rocky Topers,
big on the balls. What do you got there?

Speaker 7 (02:25:00):
You know this in the Alabama again do we talk about?
Alabama has always been this dominant team too, and not
this year. But he's in Tennessee. Look, they got off
to that great start, right, but the competition really wasn't
so great in those They start off three to zero.
Then they had that win against Oklahoma and Oklahoma's really
not that great. Now I think we've seem that Tennessee

(02:25:21):
is you know, a solid team, but certainly not a potential,
at least in my opinion, national championship team. Now, I
think this total again is converse a little bit too
high because the unit I trust most in this game
ironically up the game right up. I mean, obviously Alabama's
a really good offense does but I like Tennessee's defense

(02:25:42):
quite a bit, I really really do. And I think
that they're good enough not to say they're going to
slow down shut down Jalen Molroad. That would be disingenuous,
but I think that they can slow him down where
I think this team this game total is a little
bit too high, and I like the under in the game.
I do. I don't think Tennessee's offense to be able

(02:26:03):
to score necessarily high twenties. I really don't. I like
hunder in this game again spread itself games sitting around
three Lee Tennessee. But my favorite play is more than
again once again is the total, which is fifty seven
and a half, and I like the under again. Between

(02:26:25):
that the Georgia game, I have more faith there's will
be much more points scored than the Georgia tsystem. They're
the same totals.

Speaker 2 (02:26:32):
Anything else today you get a busy day, So what
other weather games you eye it up? I'm all about
the Huskers at big new kickoff, great story about the Hoosiers,
great story Indianna football.

Speaker 3 (02:26:44):
But I'm smelling in the brostcop set.

Speaker 7 (02:26:49):
Well, it's certainly possible. I mean, Nebraska's had such a
nice nugget and probably been the right up there is
the biggest surprise in college football in my this year.
They've just had such a terrific season. But the only
way I personally claim is with you with the Huskers,
I think that the line is a little bit too high.

(02:27:11):
And again, if you can grab a seven, okay, if
you can grab a seven with the Huskers, I definitely
think that nerves Blaga and I think they can keep
this game certainly close. And again seven being such a
beginding but line mostly six to hands. But if you
can find the seven, I definitely lean their game. I
like and again I'm not playing it because I went there,

(02:27:31):
but I do think Michigan over Illinois. I don't think
Illinois is really that good. I think they're a little overrated.
To find more all the way down to three now
it's back up before, but I still do like Michigan
the quarterback change with Puddle. I think that that is
going to again not overrating him, not at all, but
at least to me, guys, he's someone who could make

(02:27:53):
a forward pass. And I don't say that as a
joke anyone who watched Michigan the first five games or whatnot.
I'm being serious, like they truly you're a yeah, No,
they couldn't, guys. They could not pass the ball forward,
and that puts a lot of pressure on any team,
any defense. I think Illinois again great five and one start,

(02:28:14):
but I think they're okay team. I do think Michigan
is the better team here, and I think that they'll
win this game by about a function. I just trust
their defense more and I think now they have an
offense that's good enough to score at least maybe in
the mid twenties. Nothing crazy or anything like that. But
I think Michigan, I think it'll be sick and I

(02:28:35):
think evenly for I think it actually does merit to that.

Speaker 5 (02:28:39):
All right, So let's look at some of the Sunday action.
We were talking earlier about Vikings Lions. We're all staying
away from it. It's too risky to put money on
in our universe. So what do you see that that
you like?

Speaker 7 (02:28:50):
Yeah, well, okay, games and I like because I really
happen to like this week's and that's a quite a
bit A lot of games I do like. But I'll
start up with Houston against green Bay. Guys, you can
lay two and a half, get to lay about a
dollar twenty. But I really think green Bay yards a bet.
I think this Green Bay team you are a long
shot super Bowl that this would probably be my pick.

(02:29:11):
I think they're the second best team in the NFC.
I do I obviously I have the freight ranks one.
I have them ranked two, Minnesota ranked three. I like
this spot for green Bay. I love listen Houston. It's
kind of a fake five and one team game. They
were somewhat fortunate to win. In my opinion. The missing missing,

(02:29:32):
missing Lego Collins is going to hurt them a lot.
I think Stroud as good as he is, and a
game like this matchup wise, I think it's gonna be
hard for this Houston team to slow down green Bay,
and I don't think they're going to score enough points.
I think Lego Collins in a game like this, missing them,
I would have made this line close to three and
a half. It's only two and a half. I like
Green Bay teatle against Atlanta, guys. Look at Atlanta's another team.

(02:29:56):
They're four and two and they won two of the
luckiest games the NFL, and they can't The Big game
was a Hail Mary and the Eagles game was a
double hail Mary. They should be two and four. I
think Seattle is every bit is good. I will take
Seattle getting three points in the game where I think
every bit is good of a team. You don't give
three points for home Field anymore. Homefield's down traditionally worth

(02:30:17):
about point and a half. I think this line is
definitely too high. I think it's Seattle loses.

Speaker 3 (02:30:22):
Guys.

Speaker 7 (02:30:23):
It's a very chance it's going to be by one,
two or three, and I actually like them to win
the game out right, Like Seattle is upset. Philadelphia guys
against New York. Love Philadelphia here. Don't understand why this line.
You can life still find threes out there. I don't
get it. Phildelphia is the far better team. I understand
Jordan my Lot is up for them, but they're missing
their star tackle two and Andrew Thomas can't descrupt the

(02:30:44):
thing in this game, just too high. They're laying four
last week in Cincinnati. I don't understand how they're link
three this week again Philadelphia. It makes no sense to me.
I think it's a bad line. I think this line
should be at least four. Philadelphia to me, is disappointing
as they've been. This is a game they should win
out that differentials high plus squon Barkley, I expect to
have a really good game in his homecoming, so to speak.

(02:31:05):
There really like the Eagles laying three and the forty
nine or Chiefs games. Guys lines one and a half
winning work from one to two, you could find. I
love San Francisco. I think Sanviisco not only wins this game. Guys,
I say they win this game by seventeen plus points.
You don't hear me say that very often. I think
this game is going to be a blowout. I've been
waiting to go against Kansas City all year because of

(02:31:28):
all the injuries, all of the personnel they are missing.
I've been waiting for that spot for a team that
can actually punish them. I think this is a spot
where they not only lose, they lose badly. I love
San Francisco, guys, one of my favorite best the NFL seasons.

Speaker 3 (02:31:42):
We agree as you know.

Speaker 2 (02:31:45):
Anything real quick Jets Steelers is a real interesting game.
Russell gets the start and Monday Night Baltimore Tampa the
offense there too.

Speaker 7 (02:31:59):
Yeah, the Jets game real quick. Listen, the only way
I come look here, and I didn't bet it, but
the only way I can look is the Jets way. Obviously, Look,
I think getting Devonte Adams will be like a shot
of capt Bean, so to speak, like a jolt for them.
There's theoretically help this team. I just think they're the
better team than Pittsburghampan. You talk about matchups all the time.
When I look at this game, I'm like, Okay, I

(02:32:20):
think the Jets defense, which is a very solid defense,
this is not facing Josh Allen here. I think it's
be very hard for Pittsburgh team to move the ball offensively,
extremely hard. And I think the Jets showed in the
last week where and especially now adding Adams against the
very good Pittsburgh Gumans, I think they'll just be able
to do more again. And a game where there shouldn't
be a ton of scoring. I trust the Jets offense

(02:32:40):
able to get more of that scoring. Don sure, it'll
be a close game. Every Steelers game is ugly and tough.
Promin's an amazing coach. But my only way I can
lean here is the Jets. Not a game I'm betting,
but I lean Jets in the Ravens Buccaneers game. God,
I'll be honest. I actually think Baltimore I'm sorry, I
think Tampa Bay is a really good chance to win
this game.

Speaker 2 (02:32:58):
Out right.

Speaker 7 (02:32:58):
The line is sitting a stone three and a half.
I think that line's too high. I thought it should
have been closer to bit between two and a half
and three. I think Camp they has a really good
chance to when they came out right. These are actually
similar teams to me. Two teams have been great on offense, yeah,
struggling on defense. Why is I lean the over here too?
Why is Baltimore suddenly going to stop the Sampa Bay?
I don't think they're going to Their defense has been

(02:33:20):
brutal all year. I think they're getting by because of
their reputation. Oh, this is a Baltimore always have been
great defense, kind of like Georgia guys, right, Georgie has
always been a great defense until this year, and they're not.
They were runners forty nine. I think both teams, by
the way score twenty four plus. I like the over
and I like Tampa Bay, and I think they have
a really good chance to win the game.

Speaker 2 (02:33:37):
Out right, all right, real quick, because my man figure's
about the baseball as we are. I actually seem had
FITZI and I think anything with tonight and tomorrow and
the LCSLS.

Speaker 7 (02:33:52):
Yeah, Well, in the Yankees game, listen, here's the game
where you have Canna BB's coming back pitching again to
the Guardians. Now, Canter Baby has been their best picture
all year, but he's been, you know, just really he's
been this morning in these playoffs. He just kind of
like a manual clause, which is crazy at that ever,
guy's real quick. You give it five runs in the
regular season in seventy four ings, eight runs and six

(02:34:14):
hittings in the postseason. I don't like I've ever seen
that in my lifetime. That's probably one of the most
bizarre stats I've ever seen. Uh. I mean, Rodon here
Radon pitched great against them the first game. Look obviously
Cleveland as a bullpen edge, Yankees have the bat's edge,
and at this point, I probably say is starting fishing edge.
Radonan's playing about a dollar fifteen ish. Lean that way
and then the Mets game. It's gonna be a bullpen

(02:34:35):
game for the Dodgers in all likelihood. Listen, the Dodgers
to me are head just hanging on hand. What I
mean by that is now Freeman again, probably not going
to play in these games. The only way I can
lean is towards the Mets. Manet has been really good.
I got to give man Ay a credit. I mean,
this guy has now been this way after a while,
you just have to say, all right, when it's starred

(02:34:56):
after started, after started, after start after start, the guy
is good. All this Mets team, I did not count
them out. I wouldn't even surprise me if they you know,
I think they're actually going to win this game. I
think they will win this bullpen game. Six up, I'm
the Dodgers. You look seven will problems being it?

Speaker 2 (02:35:11):
I got you? Yeah, I'm with you, buddy, I'm sorry
we're up against that. We could talk old day. You're
the best. Enjoy brother, a great week at good Luck.
Where the fellas right here? Fox Sports Radio, This is
our new ending. I love it, Mighty Mark, I smiling

Speaker 4 (02:35:32):

finishes with my way and on behalf of middle aged
white dudes that's in karaoke all over the world. Thank you,
Mighty Mark.

Speaker 3 (02:35:43):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (02:35:46):
Although I do better than most, but go ahead, go
of course.

Speaker 2 (02:35:50):
He loves it.

Speaker 3 (02:35:51):
Fig You know what, yeah, I do, I really do.
You know?

Speaker 6 (02:35:54):
We have to once we're one, time we're all together,
we got to hit up the karaoke bar and fits
will have to regale us.

Speaker 2 (02:36:00):
Yeah, yeah, we gotta do that. We gotta do that.

Speaker 4 (02:36:03):
I'm done.

Speaker 2 (02:36:06):
All right, boys, listen, because we don't have that much
of time. Let's let's go we door. What do we
watch it? I mean we know it's just chock full.
I mean, my god, between today and you've got Yankees
and Guardians today, you got Mets Dodgers tomorrow. Let's tackle
baseball first. Are we feeling any magic on any side?

Speaker 3 (02:36:31):
Like?

Speaker 2 (02:36:31):
Is there a Guardians comeback? I know, Figu, you're a
Dodger man. I feel good for you, But are you
I don't all worried. I'll start with you, then we'll
go to the seam Head Jason Fitz.

Speaker 3 (02:36:43):
I am not.

Speaker 6 (02:36:44):
I honestly feel like the Dodgers are the better team,
and they let a couple of games get away. Really,
I mean literally let them get away with just terrible decisions.
And maybe they did that because they wanted to save
bullpen arms and all that, but I feel all things
are equal to Dodgers are the better team. Even with
the Met's playing as well as they played on Friday night,
the Doctor still came back and made it close for
a while.

Speaker 3 (02:37:03):
So I think the Doctors find a way to wrap
it up in six.

Speaker 2 (02:37:06):
Yeah, well bet you the home run. I'm thinking, Man,
they're gonna come back and win the game, all right.
Tim Kirchin, Uh, what do you think?

Speaker 5 (02:37:16):
Here's the thing, Like, the funny thing is we we
lightly gloss over the fact that those decisions were made
to save arms.

Speaker 4 (02:37:22):
Yep, that becomes justifiable.

Speaker 5 (02:37:23):
If the saved arms win you the next hand, if
that's simple, and I think it will right. So, this
felt like one of those moments where you're in it,
the game spiraling out of control, and you're like, oh,
we'll live to see another day. I don't know that
that's the right approach. That makes fans comfortable. I don't
think any of that. But part of the reason you
do that is because you are specifically saving for this moment.
They'll be fine, they are the better team, they will win.

Speaker 2 (02:37:44):
How about Yanks Guardians? You know, how are you feeling
this will save way right? Yankees?

Speaker 4 (02:37:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (02:37:50):
But I do think, you know, I'm just interested to
see whether the momentum can continue right hitting off their
their closes the way they did. I'm not sure that
that continues as beautifully as it has, so I don't know.

Speaker 4 (02:38:03):
This one's a little more interesting to me. But yeah,
I think the chest of the better team.

Speaker 2 (02:38:06):
I think last night killed them. You know, Yeah, I agree,
you know that was the death knell.

Speaker 6 (02:38:11):
Yeah, that was a gut you tie up the game
and your defense fails you so Cleveland. If they were
to have if they had any hope, it would have
been last night. But after they lost the way they lost,
I think they're done tonight.

Speaker 2 (02:38:25):
To be honest with you, yeah I do too. All
my biggest upset of the weekend.

Speaker 5 (02:38:34):
You know what, I kind of like Georgia Tech to
shock the world, maybe take down Notre Dame.

Speaker 3 (02:38:38):
With the backup quarterback at that huh yep.

Speaker 5 (02:38:41):
Yeah, it feels like a trap game for Notre Dame.
Feels like they're just gonna be sort of overlooking.

Speaker 4 (02:38:44):
To plus significant injury on the defensive side of the
ball this week for Notre Dame, that will change their.

Speaker 3 (02:38:50):
Perspect How about you fake?

Speaker 4 (02:38:53):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (02:38:53):
What I call would be an upset of the Raiders
beat the Rams. Can I call that?

Speaker 2 (02:38:57):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (02:38:57):
All right? Well they are they are the underdogs, right,
I'll take a win, have we?

Speaker 2 (02:39:01):
I want to take Carolina out right all right over
Washington with the fellas. We love you guys, have a
great week.
