Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Really Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Living the dream once again here on a fully loaded
sports Saturday. This is Fox Football Saturday, and we are
broadcasting live from the ti iraq dot com studios tire
rack dot com. We're gonna help get you there and
on Matt's selection fast Reshipping free road as a protection

(00:24):
way tire buying should be. I was thinking about this, Monci,
and this is the problem with the football season. If
you look at the college football schedule, we're already halfway
through the season. In other words, teams are already playing
their six seventh games in a twelve game schedule. Then
you got the conference championship games, and then of course

(00:45):
we get the playoffs and the bowl games. But we're
already halfway through the college football season. I'm boomed already.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
I think I've jinxed myself. Sorry, I just told you
that I hadn't sneezed since these wins started picking up,
and I've just sneezed twice as you were talking. So
this is going great.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Now, let's just stop for a second here, because I
think that is a backhanded shot at me.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
What do you mean?

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Well, you said I haven't sneezed in hours, and then
in d shit down in days, you sit across from
me as we waited for Alex and Carmen to finish
their show, you sneezed. And now we're in the studio
and you sneezed. You see where I'm going.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
I allergic to you. I'm I allergic to your.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
C I'm just asking you to say, it's been days
since you sneeze, and now suddenly you're sneeze into my press.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Well listen, I will say, walking just from the parking
lot inside, it was so windy, that's why it's it's
been bad like for forty eight hours. But yes, no,
maybe you do have a little bit something to do
with it. We'll see, we'll see how this goes. But
it is crazy to think that we are halfway through
the college football season when in the NFL it still
feels so early on right it is, I mean, we
got to go with the Yeah, it's just crazy. But

(01:57):
here we are a lot of game still.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Oh, a lot of good games.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
A lot of good games, all right.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
So I'm looking right now Alabama and Tennessee. This game
has been an offensive struggle for both these schools. It's
seven to nothing Alabama and we are into the third
quarter of that game, so keep an eye on that.
And of course the big game coming up, we're gonna
have Georgia taking on Texas. And you know, these are
the kind of games that used to be a deal

(02:26):
breaker in terms of the playoffs, like, you lose this game,
kissing goodbye, you're not gonna have a chance to win
the national championship. And that is not the case anymore.
It is very conceivable that we are going to get
at large teams. They're going to have two losses, either
out of the SEC or out of the Big ten

(02:48):
most likely. Because I keep looking in trying to project
where we're going to be with you know, the five
conference champions being the top five season, then seven at
large teams. I know they're going to be desperate to
try to get an at large team out of the
Big twelve or an at large team out of the ACC.
But the reality is most likely five of the seven

(03:09):
are going to come out of the SEC and the
Big Ten.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
And you don't think any team will have three losses.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Oh I'm not going to say that either. It depends.
It depends. I mean, if I'm not.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Curious to see what comes out of this first year.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Let's say you get into the conference championship game with
three losses, or let's say you're going with two losses
and you lose a narrow game. They have a lot
of wiggle room now when you've got seven at large teams.
The argument about, you know, this was the problem from
the get go when you had a four school playoff,
when you have five power conferences, so automatically, every single year,

(03:46):
one of the power conferences was going to get left out,
and nothing made sense about that. It was a made
for TV ESPN event, that's all it was. It really
gave Clemson a rise. That was the school that benefited
the most that four school playoff. This is a whole
different dynamic. So yeah, I mean, you the arguing about
this three locks team getting in over a one loss

(04:08):
team that you know, right now one of the big
stories in college football Army and Navy. You know, Army
won again today winning and Navy's winning. I mean, can
you imagine, because remember this, you go through the entire
college football season and then you got the conference championship games, right,
and then the following week is when they announced the

(04:29):
Heisman Trophy on that Saturday, and there's only one game
left on the schedule, one Army Navy. What if that's
a battle of what beat's feat You know what a
chance to get into the playoffs? How crazy would that be?

Speaker 3 (04:44):
That would be really fun?

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Oh, I love it. I had a chance to go
to the Army Navy game one time when it was
in Washington, DC. It was where I got my infamous
pictures shaking President Obama's hand at the game on the
sideline he was the president. Vice President Biden was there.
Was the first and only time, you know, it was
at the then Redskins Stadium that the game has ever

(05:06):
been held there. Normally it's in Philadelphia obviously all these years.
But being down on that field, it was freezing. It
was cold, but I wanted to take in the whole. Yeah,
you know, all of the pageantry and everything. Army totally
worth it. It was phenomenal.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
You have to good for you.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
It was phenomenal. So we got a lot of college
football we're going to get to today. We also got
a lot of NFL football. Adam Kaplan, our NFL Insider,
is going to be Johnny Us coming up here in
about ten minutes, and I'm going to lead with the Jets.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
I knew it.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
I mean I have to.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
I mean, that's what you do.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
I mean, that was a winnable game against the Bills.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
Yes it was, Yes, it was. I mean they've had
plenty of winnable games, exactly, No one, it's it's not one.
It's just they have been a disappointment.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
And it was Aaron Rodgers' best game.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
It was.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
It was almost three hundred yards passing, but in the
end they could not lose, and they finally get this
Divine to Adams deal done.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Yeah, finally can play for my fantasy team. Thank you
so much. Davante.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
Isn't an amazing recovered from that injury?

Speaker 3 (06:08):
I thought, Yeah, all of a sudden, he's good to go.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
God, I think, did you see the interview he did
with the Pat McAfee, right, and so he had Aaron
Rodgers on and then all of a sudden, here comes
DeVante Adams into the picture and he almost said something
along the lines of I want to thank the Raider
Organization for honoring my injury.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
What was that?

Speaker 3 (06:31):
What did you say? Don't admit it? We know, but
don't admit it.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Come on now, DeVante, I think he is fully recovered
from that injury Game one with the Jets. But we'll
have plenty to talk about with Adam. I also want
to get in some baseball. Do we have to well
forst second here, okay, because we're not going to talk
much baseball obviously on a football Saturday, but we are
in the league Championships series. The Yankee Guardians game last

(06:56):
night was a dynamic idea. It was Guardians came back,
they tied it, and then the Yankees win it. They're
at three to one obviously tonight Yankees looking to wrap
it up. By the way, Yankees have not been a
World Series in fifteen years.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Yeah, it sounds kind of crazy because it is the Yankees,
but time flies, and then when you realize what year
it is, you're like, oh, yeah, it has been that long.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
It has been fit has been that long. So they
won the World Series back in two thousand and nine.
And then, of course, the team that Monci is so
connected to and obviously a team I have followed since.
I'll put it this way, my first Dodger game I
saw was before man walked on the moon. So that's
that's how far Sandy Kofax was pitching for the Dodgers.

(07:39):
I was eight years old.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
And only the one and only, one and only.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
But the Dodgers up three to one on the Mets,
and then yesterday was a It had the feeling of
a throwawaya It really did.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
And what was worse about it was that the Dodgers
kept scoring, so it wasn't like they were shut out.
It wasn't like they kept scoring, so it was like,
did you punt the game too early? What happened here?

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Again?

Speaker 3 (08:04):
I don't know. I would never want to be a manager.
We have seen Dave Roberts literally put on a masterclass
when it comes to the bullpen and how we've won games.
But it really did feel like he threw in the
towel early and was just going through the motions, but
like the message wasn't received across the entire dugout because
the Dodgers were still scoring. It was nuts.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Look, most people say, Okay, he got two games to
win one and that should be easy, right. Tell that
to the Phillies Last year in the National League Championships Series,
they were up three to two, went back to Philly
and lost two games of the Diamondbacks and watched the
World Series at home, Dodgers going bullpen did this is
a repeat of game too, Sean, and I has been

(08:48):
the hottest pitcher for the Mets going against the Dodger bullpen.
How that working Game two, I was offered a chance
to go to that game. I'm glad I opted out
of that debacle. And if the Dodgers do go to
a Game seven, you.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
Throw all logic out the window on the Game seven.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Do you realize that in recent years, I believe, since
I don't know a wild card or something, home teams
have lost more games than they have won in Game seven.
Baseball doesn't have that same to me, all not the
same event. I know you're batting last, which is an
advantage I do believe, but for some reason it hasn't
worked in the postseason. So I'm you know most people

(09:28):
I'm talking to, and I'm gonna probably the same answer
for you. Yeah, yeah, you have two chances to win
if you're the Dodgers, but you want to win Game six.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
Of course, the pressure for Game seven would be way
too much and you just really don't know what's gonna happen.
You have to take advantage immediately if you can in
Game six, and it's not gonna be easy. It will
not be easy. There's always the fear. Our bullpen has
been so so good that I don't know if I'm
being a little bit pessimistic on this situation, but it's
like the bullpen, what if they have this is their
one bad game, you know, like it's just in it's

(10:00):
I don't like it. I don't like it. I'm nervous.
They have to win Game six.

Speaker 2 (10:05):

We're coming alive from the Tyraq dot com studios. Time
to talk a little NFL right now, joining ss he
so graciously does every single Saturday. Is our Fox Sports

(11:14):
Radio NFL insider Adam Kaplan and Adam It's become a habit,
so I'm just gonna stay with it. We're gonna start
with the Jets. I mean, we have to. I mean,
it's it just goes on and on and on. A
winnable game against the Bills. It was a winnable game
against the Bills, and yeah, well the win obviously was
a problem for a lot of guys, Greg the leg

(11:36):
it didn't help them in that game. But I mean,
but they've had a number of winnable games, so I
get I still get the hooplaw, I still get the
support for those that you know, think that the Jets
could get on a run and now they finally make
the DeVante Adams acquisition, and they're gonna get their debut
on the road against the Steelers, obviously one of the
better defenses, a defensive front that puts a lot of

(11:59):
pressure on the quarterback. Jets offensive line is still suspect
to be generous. So give us your sense of exactly
what impact Devonte Adams has on that Jets offense. Maybe
the demeanor of Aaron Rodgers and it will be Will

(12:19):
it be enough to turn the season around for the Jets?

Speaker 4 (12:22):
Boy, let me give you the cliff notes version. So
I talked to someone with the Jets. I'm gonna say
three days ago, and it's more kind of like Rogers
and Adams getting together, and how like they're they're close
to being where they think they could be. I don't
necessarily agree with that. I'm with you, Steve. On their
offensive line, they went with two veterans. Tyron Smith is
near the end of his career. They're okay inside it

(12:45):
is it better than it was? Yes, but it's still
not good enough. I think he nailed at Steve. If
you want to look at their number one issue with
personnel on offense, it's their line. They wanted a true
number one X receiver Mike Williams did not work out.
Mike Williams coming back from the ACL injuries on a
one year deal a lot of money by the way
he's making on a one year deal. That's why they're
trying to move him. I mean, everyone in the league

(13:05):
knows is they're trying to feverishly move Mike Williams. They might,
they still have two and a half weeks to do so.
But Allen's art has been a great story, but you
don't want him as a starting NFL receiver. That's not
what you're looking for. And they wanted an upgrading Adams
and they're hoping to take a run here. But I'm
gonna give you something else. This is something just to
keep an eye on. You mentioned Aaron Rodgers, and I'm

(13:25):
not blaming him for this, but there's something missing with
his football team. I know their defense isn't equite as
good as they thought it would be. It's not bad,
it's good, but it's they're not getting turnovers and sack
numbers are down. Whether it's a culture issue, there's just
something missing with his football team. I can't put my
finger on it. Like you said, Steve could they go
on a run. Absolutely, it's not a great division. They

(13:45):
still could absolutely win the division. But they're facing a
team at Pittsburgh tomorrow night who's gonna have a different
quarterback than they faced or they've seen on tape. It's
gonna be Russell Wilson hasn't played yet and we'll see
how that works out. But there is something missing from
this team. There's no question. It's not just getting Devantie Adams.
So they should be better than they are, and they're
certainly not at.

Speaker 3 (14:06):
Of One of the big games tomorrow will be Lions
Vikings early slate of games Vikings, is this a prove
it game? Because I feel like some people starranting them seriously,
but in reality, they haven't trailed in a game since
Week one.

Speaker 4 (14:20):
It's incredible.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
And then the Lions, Jared Goff has been crazy the
last two games. Is it a prove it game for
the Vikings?

Speaker 4 (14:30):
That's a fair one, MANCI, but I would add this
though they're coming off thereby, they're going to face a
team and the Lions are missing their best player. Yes,
I said, Aiden Hutchinson is their best player. It's going
to look different. They didn't have a good pass rush
other than him, it's going to be a problem. They've
they've Dan Campbell is not denied. They're looking for a

(14:50):
pas rusher. Good luck finding a great path rusher. So
what they're going to do is what other teams do
when they're when they're trying to make a run. They're
going to go after those teams that of are clearly
not playing for anything, and they're going to try to
go get an et rusher or maybe even two. They
really need too, to be honest with you, they need
to one. Even with Hutchinsonnell they need too. So that's

(15:11):
what's going to happen. Their offense is going to have
to carry them. And you know, they're the only team
in the NFL is average who were thirty points per game,
by the way, which is kind of tells you where
the state of the league is.

Speaker 5 (15:19):
All.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
The scoring has been way up the last two weeks,
which typically happens. There's usual an adjustment. But yeah, I
would say the litmus tests. Yeah, for Sam Donald, who
did not play well in the London game, they were
able to win. He's got to play well. I think
this is actually it's not Monte so much the team.
It's work for Sam Donald. Defensively, they're not very talented,

(15:40):
but Brian Flour has done the best job of any
defense coordinator. What's interesting is, right the best offensive mine
in football right now is Ben Johnson and Brian Floor
is the best defensive mine in football, and they're going
against each other. That's going to be a great one.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Well, I'm sure the Lions, instead of playing the Vikings,
will like another shot at the Cowboys after that beat down.
All right, So the Cowboys the bye week. This is
a team that had won sixteen straight home games until
that playoff loss to Green Bay. If you include that game,
that's three straight home losses. And Jerry Jones was very
animated after the game about Mike McCarthy not going one

(16:14):
on his own radio show, ripped into the you know
guys hosting the show. By the way, I'll applaud those
guys for not backing down. But when Jerry Jones is saying,
you know, you guys can be replaced, I mean you
know that he's on edge. So what is going on
during this bye week right now? What are the discussions

(16:35):
like behind closed doors as the Cowboys now come out
of the by just trying to salvage their season.

Speaker 4 (16:42):
Yeah. Actually, if you go to the back to the
playoff game where they got blown out at home, it's
actually four straight losses. They're wing three at home this year.
They've given up over those four games a league worst
one and sixty seven points. Are giving up nearly forty
two points per game over those four games. How does
that happen? I've been to that stadium eighteen inte It's
too big. It's really not a home field advantage. It's

(17:03):
oddly constructed. What are they trying to do? Well, they
got to fix their defense. Mike Zimmer comes zim was
not retiring, but a lot of people thought he was
kind of done, you know, well into his sixties. Now
he's going through a lot off the field. You know,
I feel for Mike. It's been a tough, tough go
of it after he got fired in Minnesota. They're down

(17:25):
three edge rushers. There's nothing they can do about that.
We have to talk about that. That's part of it.
They're not running the ball well. You know, this is
another problem with Jerry Jones, the owner, having personnel control.
Who in the world thought Rico Dawdlells is starting running
back Zico Elliot's I know he's really upset he's not
getting the ball. It's just ridiculous. You didn't have to
spend ten million a year on a running back, but

(17:46):
why didn't you get a quality starting running back? They
didn't do that. Brandon Cooks, by the way, their number
two receivers and ir that's certainly a problem. But their
biggest issue really is I know that they were terrible
before the buy against the Lions, only scoring nine points,
which you can that can't happen in a blowout. You
got to be able to be able to get a touchdown.
But guys, they got major issues on defense and they're

(18:09):
not going to get fixed now. Hopefully Michael Parkson will
be back from his high ankle spraining after the buye,
but they got Steve. They got problems really on defense.
I don't know that they're going to be able to
get fixed here. Not So they're going to come out
in the from the by try to get things done
on that side of the football.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
Adam, let's go to a Monday night a doubleheader, Big
one Ravens Buccaneers. Finish this sentence for me. The Buccaneers
pull off the upset if they.

Speaker 4 (18:35):
Throw the ball, well, they're going to have to. You're
not going to be able to run against Baltimore and
you got to throw the football. They do it really well.
The Baker Mayfield, I know it's early. He's the running
He's certainly in the run for MVP. He's been phenomenal
now and now. The thing is, though, the one thing
I do like is Sean Tucker, who was an undrafted
free agent last year out of Syracuse for Tampa. He
didn't play really a lot last or actually barely. He

(18:58):
had pretty certificant metal condition, which is behind him. He
looked awesome against in New Orleans. They're going to get
him involved now. It's going to be harder to run
against Baltimore. But after this game, he's he's got to
be featured. I mean, he is probably the best running
back and they got to get him going a little bit.
Their offensive lines are not great, but it's been efficient enough.

(19:19):
This is a great test for them at home, no question,
but it'll be warm for Baltimore. It's be a little
of adjustment for Baltimore playing in this type of weather.
Right now, it's a great matchup and for those people
thought Baltimore finished what's wrong with them at oh and two,
they're on an absolute role. Quite frankly, I don't know
if there's any team right now playing better football than
the Ravens.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
I agree with that. I think the Ravens right now
are the best team in the NFL, but best record
belongs to the Vikings. We talked about that and also
the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs, who are doing it
mainly with their defense. And we've gone over these Mahomes
numbers seemingly weekly now the last ten regular season games,
twelve touchdowns, eleven picks, pedestrian at best. Now they're on

(19:59):
the road against the forty nine Ers in the Super
Bowl rematch. The forty nine Ers have had a lot
of injuries, some inconsistencies offensively as well. To me, there's
a tough read on this game because the Chiefs have
not looked like a team that should be sitting at
top with the none defeated record, but they just fine
ways to win. What do you expect in this matchup?

Speaker 4 (20:23):
Yeah, I think you said it. Well, it's hit the
ladder yet, boy, offensively, they just don't look like themselves. Now,
remember they're starting running back pacheco Is out with a
broken leg and he won't be back. Toll. They're hoping
by the end of November round Thanksgiving. We'll see so
that that's the problem. No, I give a cream hunt.
I mean, he's one start, He look great, and we'll
see if you could continue. They got to move the

(20:46):
football better in the air. That that's really been the problem.
And you know they've they've been hit badly at it
by the Rashi Rice injury. It's just it's just devastating
for them. They're gonna by the way, I'm told by
a couple of people there, they've been calling around hard
to get a receiver. Then they need one. They need
a starting NFL receiver. That's what they're looking for. It's good.

(21:07):
You know what's interesting, folks, they're probably there could be
three to four receivers moved by November fifth, which is
the trade deadline. We already had two big ones, and
we could see three or four move by then. There
are a lot of teams. Pittsburgh's looking, Washington's looking, Kansas
City's looking. Still a bunch of teams looking for receivers.

Speaker 3 (21:22):
Speaking about receivers, a bill is Amari Cooper, that's one.
What do you think this does for Buffalo.

Speaker 4 (21:28):
Oh, it helps because they look they were able to
be the Jets barely and they got to help Josh Allen.
Now Cooper's got to learn with Josh Allen, the play
that's being run isn't the one that he might wind
up getting. It's got to come back to the footba.
It's kind of like with Patrick Mahomes. You got to
come back to the football. He's got to learn how
to do that. So they got the chemistry going, but
they need a number true, number one receiver. He'll be that.

(21:49):
Kaliosha here's the other one who's done a nice job,
but who's been nursing an ancle injury. They'll have enough.
It looks like they're gonna get James Cook back. They're
starting running back. They were able to get through against
the Jets with it without them. But yeah, that's Buffalo.
Situation's fascinating going for here. They should have no problems
against the Titans. I'd be surprised what the game's competitive.

(22:09):
But they're a team that nobody's talking about because they
haven't looked great and they probably have overchieved a little bit.
Let's be honest with it.

Speaker 6 (22:16):
All right.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
One final game to ask you about. We've talked about
the Ravens right now maybe the best team in the NFL,
but they don't even have the second best record in
the AFC. That belongs to the Houston Texans as they
go on the road this week against the Packers. Is
this sort of a proven game as far as the
legitimacy of the Texans not to make the playoffs because

(22:36):
right now they've taken control of their division, but I
mean as a serious foe coming up in the playoffs, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (22:44):
I would say so. Look, they didn't play great against Buffalo,
no question about that. That they barely skipped out with
kind of an ugly game. They were able to beat
the Jaguars barely. They got hammered in Minnesota, and that's
probably no one's figured out Brian Flores's defense. Yeah, I
would say so. On the road here for a young
football team's got a good mixture of veterans and it's
a great one. And by the way, the quarterback matchup,

(23:06):
I don't know if there's a quarterback playing better right now.
They Jordan Love he's overcome that MCL's brain which he
suffered against the Eagles in week one where he didn't
play well, he's over it. He looks fantastic. They're super
deep at receiver. By the way, the Texans are really
banged up in their secondary. That that's me is where
the advantages. Yeah, i'd expect Green Beta win this game.
It is a great one, Steve. This is what I
look forward to seeing tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
By the way, just for the record, the team that
I picked to be the upset team in the playoffs
the Denver Broncos if the playoffs were one in the
playoffs right there in the playoffs, right they are.

Speaker 4 (23:39):
So ugly, you know what. Their defense is good, they're
winning inspired the quarterback. They're doing their best to hide them.
You know what. That is the call of the year. Now,
someone out there told me on Twitter X that they
said the Vikers are going to make the playoffs. Christ
they never told me this before the season started. But
the Denver call is good. I gotta tell you, man, Monty,
Now did you hear say that? Because I don't remember

(24:01):
that one?

Speaker 3 (24:01):
He did?

Speaker 4 (24:01):
He did?

Speaker 3 (24:02):
He run down it's on paper too, like before the season.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
Why did you Steve hanging before we get out of here,
Why did you think so?

Speaker 2 (24:08):
You know why because I kept. First of all, I
was a bow Knicks fan last year at Oregon, and
I believe Sean Payton when he said, this is the
guy I see running the offense I want to run.
And he was at a normal college quarterback. He started
more games at the Division one level than any college
quarterback of all time. And I also know that he's
a mobile quarterback and in a lot of ways he's

(24:31):
almost Josh Allen like in the ability to take off
and get some positive yards down the field. So you know,
I just I just leave you. You have three wild
card teams, right, you know so.

Speaker 4 (24:42):
Surely, But honestly, when you look at the conference right
mm hmm, I mean, honestly, the Jets haven't done it yet. Miami,
they're gonna get to a back relatively soon, Bark and
setback m hm. You know, I'll be honest now now,
could have honestly the only competition for the Broncos right now,
if we're being straight at Cincinnati now they're two and four.

(25:03):
We know they're better than this. I mean, I don't
want to say it's a shoe in.

Speaker 2 (25:08):
I'm telling you right now, there is a very distinct
possibility that the third Wildcard in the AFC will be
nine to eight.

Speaker 4 (25:16):
I think I'm gonna have to buy Steve at dinner.
I promise.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Me. That's the call of the year. Man, I say this,
of course, I don't want to China. Has Dennis Allen
been fired yet? Soon? Have you ever seen the team
have two great weeks followed by the votes they beat up?

Speaker 4 (25:32):
I know, but you know what, that's not an excuse
that they've completely fallen off. Look, they're not even competitive
right now.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
He's right, great stuff has always Adam. We always appreciate
the time. We'll talk to you next Saturday.

Speaker 4 (25:42):
So that's good.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
That's Adam Kaplan our Fox Sports Radio NFL Insider. Oh,
terrific games we got coming out, I know, and we
have some good games in the morning when we're going
to be on the air. Let's find out what is
trending right now. Kevin Wired is in the house.

Speaker 7 (25:56):
I got some good games going on right now, especially
the one damn in Knoxville, Number seven, Alabama, number eleven
at tennisee And right now the Crimson Times just up
by a field goal ten to seven with about three
eleven to go in the third quarter. It's been a
tight ball game. It was actually seven to nothing in
favor of Alabama at the half, as a Tennessee then

(26:18):
would answer with a touchdown of their own in the
third quarter, but the Crimson tie with a field goal
to retake the lead. Just a couple of minutes ago,
Number twelve Notre Dame a twenty four to seven lead
on Georgia Tech. They got three minutes to go in
the fourth quarter. So it's safe to say this game
is just about over an old fashioned big A ten
battle in a champagne. And I really love how they

(26:40):
did these throwback uniforms. The helmets look like their leather
high it's absolutely love them. Did you those are the
best throwback helmets I have ever seen in my life.
And did you see the opening of the CBS broadcast
with Brad Nessler and Gary Danielson. It was a throwback
to the nineteen twenties. They were dressed up like that.
It was black and white.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
They had Red Grange, who of course was the biggest
college football start of the twenties at the University of Illinois.
So they're going back one hundred years and he had
his big breakout game against Michigan one hundred years ago.
But that is the best throwback helmet I've ever seen.

Speaker 7 (27:14):
They're playing great homage to it right now. The ill
eliina I leading it by two touchdowns is twenty one
to seven. They've got eight minutes to go in the
fourth quarter and Illinois I currently with the ball right
now at their own at twenty two yard line, number
twenty five. Navy putting the beating on Charlotte right now
fifty one seventeen. So for the Service academies, man, that's

(27:37):
as good of a start for both of them combined
that I can remember in my entire life. Navy looks
like they're on their way to six and zero. Army
earlier today took care of business against East Carolina. So
the twenty third rate Black Knights moving to seven to
oh after a forty five to twenty eight win against
East Carolina, and that's going to create a lot of
chaos potentially at the end of the season if those

(27:59):
are the two teams still undefeated with potential playoff spots
on the line after the conference championships games end, is
when the Army Navy game will be and are they
going to actually hold up the playoff selection for that game?

Speaker 3 (28:12):
I hope so it could happen, and that's what I
watched that happen.

Speaker 8 (28:15):
Yeah, I hope, so I just root for chaos. That's
what I love. Is that what makes college football so fun?
Right actly?

Speaker 7 (28:21):
Number nineteen Missouri nearly avoiding the loss at home to Auburn,
but they do come back to win a twenty one
to seventeen, outscoring Auburn fifteen to nothing in that fourth quarter.
Number sixteen Indiana, the Hoosiers look for real. They're seven
in a zero now and they've really been winning an
impressive fashion, including against Nebraska, beating down the corn Huskers

(28:43):
fifty six to seven. Number ten Clemson also on a
roll since losing the beginning of the season. They're now
six and one after a forty eight thirty one win
against Virginia. It was a shootout in Louisville. Number six
Miami hangs on against Louisville fifty two to forty. Wisconsin
and Northwestern the Badgers win it twenty three to three.

(29:03):
How about your Bruins steve their first conference win as
a member of the Big Ten. They go on the
road to Rutgers to win at thirty five to thirty two.
So the Bruins finally joining the win party over there
in the Big Ten. But speaking of that other LA team,
they are in action against Maryland right now. Usc leading

(29:24):
this one twenty one to fourteen. They've got five minutes
ago in the third quarter out at College Park, Colorado,
looking impressive against Arizona. Right now, the Buff's on top
thirty one seven. They are approaching in the fourth quarter,
Baylor leading Texas Tech thirty one to twenty one. Number
fourteen Texas A and m A thirty seventeen. Lead on
Mississippi State. And in the Mountain West it's Utah State,

(29:47):
New Mexico. The Aggie's on top thirty eight twenty nine.
San Jose State leads Wyam Wyoming seventeen to seven.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
Back to you guys, all right, Kevin, thank you very much.
We'll check in with you a little bit later on
This is Fox Football Saturday, Steve Harvin, Monsey Belani else Where,
Live from the tairaq dot Com studios. I have never
been like a huge fan of throwback uniforms because I
think some of them are lame because you're sort of
using maybe the color scheme, but with the modern uniform.

(30:16):
That's why these Illinois helmets. Oh yeah, the leather helmet
is brilliant.

Speaker 3 (30:23):
It takes you back, it really, it puts you in
a different time period.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
And the jerseys and everything that is what Redgrange. Everyone's
looking at me, like, who the hell is Red Grange?
Harold Red Grange one hundred years ago. I'll put it
this way, in a great decade for sports, where Babe
Ruth obviously was famous in baseball, and there there was
a great there was a great run of you know,

(30:47):
Bobby Jones and golf. There was a great legendary athletes
in a lot of different sports. But the biggest football
star by far was Harold Redgrange out of the University
of Illinois touchdown day against Michigan one hundred years ago,
and the Chicago Bears signed him. The league was brand new,
the NFL was only a couple of years old, and

(31:08):
they needed a marketing tool, and so it was a
lot different in the NFL. They didn't just like play
every Sunday. They just played whenever they could get games
at and they would just parade red grains around and
they would fill up the stadiums. So it is accurate
to say that the NFL unlikely would have you know,
when they had teams in Duluth and Canton. I mean

(31:32):
that's where the NFL was essentially born. That they would
never have survived that first decade had it not been
for a guy by the name of Red Grange, the
Galloping Ghost.

Speaker 3 (31:43):
The Galloping Ghost.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
Oh that's a good name, isn't that a great Where
are the great names now?

Speaker 3 (31:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Seriously, they used to have players that were actually known
only by their nicknames, right right, you know, way back
in the day, So we've sort of lost that.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
We have with throw back uniforms or jerseys. I wish
the NBA actually did it a little bit more because
they used to have the awesome graphics. Now they're all boring.
It's different because in football and in baseball you don't
see the jerseys like that, and in the NBA is
the only way you can actually showcase a graphic like that.
And I wish they would go back to like the
Grizzlies you know graphic, or back in the Timberwolves graphic

(32:22):
back in the day. Instead now they're boring.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
Well, Illinois pulled it off today the jersey, but the
helmets are dynamic, so I haven't seen him yet I
check it out this Michigan Illinois game. Speaking of college football,
I'm keeping my eye on the Heisman race, and I'm
a little bit torn right now. I have a player

(32:45):
on the bubble trying to survive another one knocking on
the door. My updated one, two three in the Heisman.
This is Fox Football Saturday.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to
listen live.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
Steve Harvin, Montsiblano's here Fox Football Saturday. Once again. We
are live from the Tairak dot com studios. All right,
Mary Mack, it is that time. All right, So once
again I would like to bring up something I rarely do,
and that is I have a Heisman vote. By the way,

(33:30):
Tim Henning, who's been the long time sort of the
pr guy that runs the whole show for the Heisman Trust,
sent out his annual email to me and all the
other voters just to make sure he has all the
information right where you live, like, do you still actually
cover college football? I assure him we do. And so

(33:51):
that'll be getting ready for that ballot that will come
online the.

Speaker 3 (33:56):
Ballot is submitted when once the season is over.

Speaker 2 (33:59):
Like it is, well, the voting really is done the
week of it comes the week of the conference championship games.
So that Sunday of the conference or Saturday of the
conference championship games, when those games are done, is usually
when I vote. I have until the next Monday morning.
Everything's done online. In the old days that we had

(34:20):
mail in ballots and everything else like that, that didn't
happen anymore. And like I said, the code that I
have to punch in to get into my ballot, yeah,
the nuclear code is less complicated. They're literally I'm a
look at is that symbol on my Where is that?

(34:40):
I've never even seen that one before?

Speaker 4 (34:42):
All Right?

Speaker 2 (34:43):
So each week up dead to where we stand, one, two,
three in the hestmaning. Here is my current number three.

Speaker 4 (34:49):
It takes the hand off, set the throw, throw it
to the end zone, catch it the.

Speaker 5 (34:52):
One end the sound, touchdown, touchdown, Colorado the best player
in college football. Once again, Travis Hunter finds the end
zone for the sixth time this season.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
Okay, once again that's Mark Johnson from lear Field, and yes,
Travis Hunter is hanging on barely to a top three spot.
It's not about his talent. We know that he is
an insanely talented football player. I love, love, love Travis
Hunter and the Buffalos are, you know, heading to a
five and two start. They're winning big today against Arizona.

(35:26):
The problem is he got hurt last week and he
has not played a lot today. He only has a
couple of catches. Defensively, he's been playing mainly on third downs.
So this is my fear about Travis Hunter. You know
you're playing both ways. It's unreal at a high level,
but can you stay healthy?

Speaker 4 (35:43):
Yep?

Speaker 2 (35:44):
So right now he's hanging on. Travis Hunter is my
current number three. Here is my current number two war takes.

Speaker 8 (35:52):
He looks, he stands, he fires.

Speaker 9 (35:54):
It isso textown Miami inside the pylon, right side of
the end zone, and it's ros Steppo's moment in the sunshine.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
That's Hurricanes radio network. Cam Ward is hanging in. He
led the Hurricanes to a fifty two to forty five
win over Louisville on the road today to go to
seven to zero. Another big day for him. Twenty one
to thirty two, three hundred nineteen yards, four touchdowns and
no interceptions. He's the second ranked quarterback in the country

(36:29):
and his team is undefeated.

Speaker 3 (36:30):
That's a good day's work.

Speaker 4 (36:32):
That's good.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
That's how you stay in the heist and chase. Yeah,
top break quarterback and your team's undefeating. Cam Ward is
number one. No, no, he's not. He's number two, because
this guy is number one.

Speaker 10 (36:45):
Coming in motion as baits hand off genty to the
right side, gempty sheds a tackler thirty forty, fifty forty
it's a foot race thirty twenty ten. Another one play
drive for Ashton.

Speaker 2 (36:59):
Jen d seventy five yards on the score. That's bobular
from lear Field, and well he's got the week off.
That's actually good news for his opponents. Let's put it
that way. Ashton Gent's numbers are ridiculous, Yeah, ridiculous. So
right now he is averaging over two hundred yards a game.

(37:25):
He's averaging over nine yards of carriage.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
Yeah, if you haven't turned on a game to watch
Boise State and do it, just watch for a quarter.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
Actually, let me he's averaging nine point nine yards of course, yeah, no.

Speaker 3 (37:40):
Of course, just give him the ball.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
Just give him one hundred and twenty six carries for
forty eight yards. That is just rediculous. And they know
the greatest individual season in college football history was Barry
Sanders junior when he won the Heisman Trophy at Oklahoma State.
And some people are trying to track Ashton genty. Let's
not get carried away.

Speaker 3 (38:03):
People love to compare, people love to compare.

Speaker 2 (38:05):
First half is very similar numbers. Yeah, the problem is
in the last five games. I think Sanders had three
three hundred yard rushing days down the stretch that year,
and back in those days, didn't even count the bowl
games in the final total, so you're a little in
this bowl game he had two hundred and twenty two
yards and five touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (38:24):
Yeah, and there's just more games now, it's a little
bit harder to compare. But I think the comparison is
kind of cool because when was the last time you
saw someone like Ashton Genty.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
Well, again, we haven't had a running back in the
Heisman Trophy since Derek Henry back in twenty fifteen. But
those Barry Sanders' numbers, including the bowl game, twelve games,
two thousand, eight hundred and fifty eight yards and forty
four touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
He just knew those numbers, by the way, everybody. He
didn't even look it up. He just wrote it down,
So you guys know, it's just in his head.

Speaker 2 (38:55):
This didn't even make sense.

Speaker 3 (38:56):
It doesn't make sense that you just know those numbers
as well. But here are they are.

Speaker 2 (39:01):
Yeah, I know that a lot of numbers. But I
mean this thing about being a numbers guy. There are
just certain numbers in sports where you just you have
to stare at him like is that real?

Speaker 3 (39:10):
And that's how I feel about looking at Ashton Gent's numbers,
like I have to see them because I don't believe it.

Speaker 2 (39:14):
Nine point nine yards of care.

Speaker 3 (39:15):
It's stupid and it's awesome.

Speaker 2 (39:18):
In other words, every time you hand them the ball,
it's a first, a right, just give him the ball.
He's had eight runs of at least fifty yards this year,
unreal eight. So boys, he stayed off this week and
again that's going to be I'm looking at the rest
of their schedule. That should only get better for Ashton genty,
So good luck to him.

Speaker 4 (39:38):
Now.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
The one guy that is so close is Oregon quarterback
Dylan Gabriel. So they had a blowout win against hapless Perdue.
It's more like per don't They are just awful this
year and they won thirty five and nothing on the road.
You like that, perdue Bo don't. Yeah, but he had

(39:59):
another big day. So you know again, if Travis Hunter
can't stay healthy, it's going to be a hard thing
for him to stay in my top three. All right,
We're going to get back to a fully loaded week
coming up in the NFL. This is Fox Football Saturday,
rolling along here on another busy sports Saturday, really busy
at this time of the year. This is Fox Football Saturday,

(40:21):
and we are broadcasting live from the ti iraq dot
com studios. Tire rack dot com we're gonna help get
you there and Matt Selection fastree shipping free road as
a protection over ten thousand recommended installers, tire rack dot
com the way tire buying should be. All right, we're
keeping our eye on all this college football action. Alabama's
still hanging on to a seventeen to fourteen lead on

(40:44):
the road in Knoxville, Illinois. By the way, not a
surprise in this game. They have knocked off Michigan. Michigan
has no offense. They just have no offense at all.
And Illinois just took care of Michigan twenty one to
seven with absolutely insane throwback uniforms, including the helmets that

(41:05):
look like leather helmets. Phenomenal. So big win for the
ALIGNI they've only lost one game this year in the
Big Ten. And for Michigan, well, it's gonna be tough.
It's gonna be very tough. There are a lot of
people rooting against Jim Harborugh, we know that. Well, I
can think of a few people here that have Michigan ties.
Can you think of anybody?

Speaker 4 (41:25):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (41:25):
Just a couple. I think we're gonna see him soon.

Speaker 2 (41:27):
Yeah, Martin is like beside himself. He is rooting for
Jim Harbor to go to hell Es is what he is.
He is, I see he says the state of the
Michigan program. So yeah, no national championship this year. So
seventeen fourteen Alabama, nine and a half minutes to go
in that game, Alabama with the ball, and then the
game of the day is going to be kicking off

(41:47):
here in about half an hour as Georgia is going
to be taken on Texas, and that's an interesting matchup.
From this standpoint, I'm pretty confident in Texas is one of,
if not the elite program of the country obviously the
rank number one in the country right now. Georgia, if

(42:10):
you look back to that lost to Alabama, it was
such a weird game. They were down twenty eight to
nothing like that, and then they came all the way
back to actually take the lead, and then Alabama got
the ball in one play seventy five yard touchdown gave
Alabama the win of that game. So this is this
is an interesting matchup coming up here shortly.

Speaker 3 (42:30):
Do you think George better than losing to Alabama? Was
that just a fluke?

Speaker 2 (42:40):
I We had this game on the radar from the
beginning of the season because with Texas now moving into
the SEC, everyone thought, okay, now this is going to
especially with the game in Austin, I. It's just a
hard read for me. You know, George has been there
so many times in recent years and big games like this.

(43:01):
Can I imagine them losing again? Two losses? By the way,
even if they were to lose a second game, you
mentioned the fact, I mean, what if Georgia, Because you know,
the way the conference championship games now is you don't
have the divisions anymore. You just have the top two teams.
So let's say they lose to Texas and then they
run the table and then maybe a rematch against Texas

(43:24):
or matchup against Alabama and they lose like a nail bier.
Three losses, they still get an invite to the twelve
school playoff.

Speaker 3 (43:36):
I don't want to be a part of that committee.
Let's just say, if that's the situation.

Speaker 2 (43:40):
That's a tough call. That is a tough So it's
going to give us a little barometer of where we
are with both these schools right now. Somebody was asking
me if quin yours is a better quarterback right now
than arch Manning, and the answer is yes.

Speaker 3 (43:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (43:57):
It doesn't mean arch Manning won't become a great, great quarterback,
but in the moment, yours is, yes, he is a
better quarterback right now at the University of Texas, and
yours will be at calling the signals for the Longhorns today.
All right, let's get to some NFL football, Monci And
we mentioned that tomorrow we have some really dynamite games still,

(44:21):
you know in the morning games when we do our
show tomorrow morning. Obviously, the biggest game is this Lions
Vikings game, and you know the Lions are coming off
that absolute blowout of the Cowboys. I have to smile,
you know. I just there are certain teams growing up

(44:42):
that I just didn't like as an LA RAM fan
growing up in the Los Angeles area, and I'm talking
in the sixties seventies Rams before they moved to Orange County.
They always would stumble in the playoffs, either against the
Vikings or the Cowboys. Because of that, I can't stand
the Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (45:02):
Yeah, you picked them to win the Super Bowl, you
crazy man.

Speaker 2 (45:06):
I did because I was trying to work. I was
trying to use my reverse psychology, like, Okay, they've had
three straight twelve win seasons, and in the back of
my mind, I'm thinking, at some point the football gods
are going to smile on the Cowboys. So I thought

(45:27):
this was the year. Maybe this could be the year. Yeah,
this could be the year, right, because no team has
won back to back NFC East championships in twenty years,
and the Cowboys won it last year, So I'm thinking
that so maybe they do win that.

Speaker 3 (45:43):
No, I hear you, I hear especially because there's no
clear cut winner. Everyone got a little bit better than
what teams are were good last year, got a little
bit better. So I hear you. I get it, there
was a chance, but it was a silly decision to make.

Speaker 2 (45:57):
Yes on you. Now, I did pick the Patriots to
be the worst team in the NFL. Really good about that.
And the broncosa is a playoff team, is my surprise, Pa.
But you go to the Lions right now and you
have this incredible day where you're just blowing the doors
off the Cowboys and then Aiden Hutchinson goes down.

Speaker 3 (46:12):
Yeah, and he still.

Speaker 2 (46:14):
Got the sack.

Speaker 3 (46:15):
Yeah, it was really rough to see. I was watching
the game live and then they showed the replay and
I saw it right away. I was like, oh, no,
it was his It looked like his shin which I
was ready. And for a second you thought he hurt
his hands because he started taking desperately off his gloves
and so I thought he jammed a finger, he jammed
a hand, and then no, it just I couldn't believe

(46:37):
how stoic he was in that situation, to be honest,
for that injury was so gruesome and so gross. Don't
look it up. If you haven't already seen it, don't
do it. I think that's a big, big loss for
the Lions, even though the Lions are just clicking really well. Also,
David Montgomery, who thought that he was going to be
this dominant running back for them, I don't know, I

(46:57):
don't know.

Speaker 4 (46:58):
He can't be.

Speaker 3 (46:58):
He looks like a little bit, you know, not as much,
but Dereck Henry like where it's like he takes them
on its It's hard to stop David Montgomery right now.
The Vikings, though, the big thing with them, which we've
talked about is their defense is their defense. If you
look at who the Lions have beat, the Lions have
only lost to the Buccaneers, and they've beat the Rams
of Cardinals, the Seahawks, and the Cowboys. I don't know

(47:19):
if they're going to face if they have faced a
defense like, oh, they haven't, so I don't I don't
know if Patrick is gonna give us this game to pick.
I truly don't know who I would pick.

Speaker 2 (47:31):
But on the other side you got Sam Darnald who
got off to the tremendous start but struggled in their
last game. And that's the question moving forward for the Vikings.
Can Sam Donald continue to do what he has to
do if the Vikings are going to remain as a
Super Bowl contender. You're sitting here is the only undefeated

(47:52):
team in the NFC right now, sitting atop the mountain.
You're the one see But you're in a tough division.
Bears are off this week at four and two, the
Packers are four and two. They have the home game
against the Texans, and now you have this matchup against
the Lions. I mean right now, that whole division is
pretty much in the playoffs. So that's gonna be that's
the question movie for for the Vikings. Yes, their defense

(48:13):
is outstanding. Obviously they have weapons, you know when you
start with JJ obviously at the receiver. But can Sam
Donald continue to play well?

Speaker 3 (48:22):
And he might be the X factor because I do
think the Lions are the better team. Like if we
were to go one by one, I do think the
Lions are the better team. But yeah, it's it's just losing.
I think Aiden Hutchinson has to make Sam Donald feel
a little bit better about approaching this week, just a
tiny bit that maybe he is not gonna get killed
by anybody. But yeah, it's just the Vikings are there

(48:44):
new offensive, Their new excuse me, defensive coordinator has instilled
a different mentality. They have so many they're really just
playing differently this year. It's not a defensive corner, it's
Brian Flores. But you get what I'm saying, Like he's
he's instilled a different mentality in how they're approach the game.
And I know the X factor is Sam Donald, but

(49:05):
without Aiden Hutchinson, I feel like it's even the margin
is even smaller now.

Speaker 2 (49:10):
Well, and that's how And by the way, it's not
just Aiden Hutchinson. The Lions are really banged up by
your defensive front right now. And if you give Sam
Donald time, then they'll avoid doing what he seems to
fall into a pattern of doing, and that is turning
the ball over. And if he does that, obviously the
Vikings are in trouble. By the way, my brother in law,
who is a lifelong true Blue Lions fan, so the

(49:31):
only team has made this trip from Iowa, where my
sister and he live, to Minnesota for the Lions Vikings
game every year for like thirty years in a row.
Every year he goes to Minnesota to see his Lions
play the Vikings. That's kind of awesome, it is, especially
when the game has this kind of impact. There are

(49:52):
a lot of years in that game was absolutely a throwaway.
That is not the case anymore. Another game I wanted
to get to with you, is this check Steelers game?

Speaker 3 (50:02):
Anything to talk about the Jets?

Speaker 2 (50:05):
Yes, yes, so we you know, we had Adam kaplan
on earlier on the show, and Adam is maintained throughout
that he still believes the Jets are going to win
the division and there's still a chance. It's not like
the Bills are a juggernaut. The Bills are good enough
and obviously they've dominated that division, but without Tua, the

(50:29):
Vikings are not good Dolphins.

Speaker 3 (50:32):
Excuse me, we knew what you said.

Speaker 8 (50:33):
I was just saying.

Speaker 2 (50:34):
And then the Patriots are, you know, arguably the worst
team in the league because the Bengals really lose to
him in that opening game at home, no less, Yeah,
yeah they did. By the way, tennise C has just
scored with under six minutes ago to take the lead
against Alabama. I'll tell you, man, de Boor could be

(50:54):
in trouble if Alabama loses this game.

Speaker 3 (50:57):
There's still plenty of time, I understand.

Speaker 2 (51:00):
But a couple of losses when you lose to Vanderbilt.

Speaker 3 (51:03):
Well yeah, yes, no, that was bad, but that was bad.

Speaker 2 (51:06):
I mean, Tennessee obviously is a good team, but you're Alabama.
You're supposed to they expect you to win these games.
So debor could be in a little trouble. But you
know the idea that the Jets could still turn this
thing around in a very weak division because you pretty
much without doing you dismissed the Dolphins and the Patriots
are obviously no factor at all, So it's just the Bills.

(51:27):
But I don't know. I was watching Aaron Rodgers. He
had the hail Mary. By the way, what were the
Bills doing on that hail mary? You're rushing two guys,
what are you doing? You have a quarterback that throws
the hail mary as well, if not better than any
quarterback in the history of the game. He knows how

(51:49):
to put the ball in the right spot to give
his team an opportunity. And yes, somebody has to make
a big catch. I get all that, But why would
you not put any pre pressure on him and allow
him to set up to get the throw off exactly
where you want to get the.

Speaker 3 (52:06):
Throw I think it's a little bit of not thinking
he is the Aaron Rodgers of before.

Speaker 2 (52:11):
Ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (52:12):
I mean, I agree with you. I agree, but I
think that's a little bit of what went into the mentality.
It's like Aaron Rodgers is not performed, he is not delivered.
He is not the same guy. He is not the
three four time MVP. He's not he does not look
the same. But I wonder if this game against the Steelers,
is this going to sway your feelings on the Jets

(52:34):
now that.

Speaker 2 (52:34):
They have to volute to lose. It's not if they.

Speaker 3 (52:37):
Lose, I feel like that's it. No more talking about
the Jets.

Speaker 2 (52:40):
Well, and what are we expecting for Russell Wilson. I
do like this about justin Fields. So when Fields was,
you know, talking about Russell Wilson coming in, Fields was
right open and said, look, I haven't done anything really
to say, yeah, it's my job.

Speaker 8 (52:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (52:58):
Yeah. It's quite an admission, right.

Speaker 3 (53:00):
Because he said there would be no conversation if I
had done my job right. And he has a point.

Speaker 2 (53:05):
He does have a point. They were undefeated. Now they're
not undefeated. They have a couple of losses and have
I done enough?

Speaker 4 (53:11):
No?

Speaker 2 (53:12):
No, I haven't done enough. So what do you expect
from Russell Wilson in this game against the Jets And
this is Russell Wilson versus Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 3 (53:20):
That's gonna be an interesting matchup at that. I don't
know how much you can't expect Russell Wilson to just
get out there and carry your offense in. But I
think they're gonna hope the offense is gonna look a
little bit diferent. It's gonna open it up because you
weren't expecting justin fields to maybe dominate throwing the ball. Now,
I think this just opens it up for you a

(53:41):
little bit. Now you're gonna have to protect a little
bit of the pass from Russell Wilson, even though we
haven't seen him because he's been injured. You have to
assume he's gonna throw the ball well to start.

Speaker 2 (53:53):
Well, here's the Russell Wilson has always gotten into trouble
when he tries to over extend place. You know, for
years and years, the Seahawks would have a lot of sacks,
and I always seem to be working with offensive linemen
including Richard Ornberger, and rich will tell you look, sacks
are not always on the offensive line. There's only so

(54:15):
long you can hold off. And I get it. You
have a quarterback that wants they extend to play and
then they make that spectacular play, they're like, WHOA unbelievable.
But more often than not, extending plays ends up with sacks.
And I don't know how Russell Wilson's body is going
to react if he gets sacked a number of times

(54:36):
against you know, obviously a Jets defense that has struggled
against the run, but still putting a lot of pressure
on quarterbacks. So you haven't played in a while and
all of a sudden you're on your butt. How is
he going to react to that? I this, to me
is a golden opportunity for the Jets. It really is.
Jets are favored in this game, even though it's in Pittsburgh.

(54:56):
But then I keep getting back to the Mike Tomlin factor,
where again, you you watch the Steelers, You watch a
game and they play ugly. Then you look up and like,
did they win the game?

Speaker 3 (55:08):
They win ugly a lot? They win ugly a lot?

Speaker 2 (55:11):
How did they even hit last year? How did they
have a winning record last year? How did they do it?
They had no quarterback? And that's the Mike Tomlin factor.
You know, always say in the NFL there are no
style points, just a matter of getting wins all right.
Coming up on the other side, the forty nine ers
are trying to get back on track as they take

(55:32):
on the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs. We're going to do
an update on these two quarterbacks that faced off in
last year's Super Bowl. Where did they stand now? This
is Fox Football Saturday, Steve Harvan and mo Onzie Belogios.
Here Fox Football Saturday. We're live from the tire rack

(55:52):
dot Com studios. Don't forget after the show. Podcast is

rate and review the podcast. Again, just search Fox Sports
Radio wherever you get your podcasts and you'll see this

the way, did we get a mention on a Rob

(56:17):
Parker gig? Is he hear about this?

Speaker 4 (56:20):
No?

Speaker 3 (56:21):
What are we talking about?

Speaker 7 (56:22):
James?

Speaker 2 (56:23):
I was? I was checking out social media? So he
has a what is it called a talkback Tuesday or
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (56:32):
Oh yeah, talk Tuesday, trash talking Tuesday and such a post.

Speaker 2 (56:37):
Well, somebody said that Steve Hartman and Monsie Belanos got
trash talked on that show.

Speaker 3 (56:44):
Oh, I don't know. I don't I wasn't there on Tuesdays.

Speaker 2 (56:46):
I don't know either.

Speaker 3 (56:47):
I don't work. I usually work Tuesday mornings. What were
they matter about?

Speaker 2 (56:51):
I have no idea was I was trying. I was
trying to find it. Patrick Gay, gotta find that. If
you can find that.

Speaker 8 (56:57):
I gotta find that. Let me, I'll go look into that.

Speaker 2 (56:59):
Somebody that we were mentioned on Rob's do you have
a trash talk?

Speaker 4 (57:03):
You guys?

Speaker 3 (57:03):
It was obviously something we said on the show last weekend.
But they're trash talk.

Speaker 2 (57:09):
I mean, no one's ever trash talked about me?

Speaker 3 (57:11):
Sure, wow, sure?

Speaker 2 (57:13):
Well sure and Montsi knows as well. Yes, we've we've Yeah,
we've always been there. Hey, before I want to get
to this forty nine or Chiefs matchup YEP, one of
the big stories in the NFL. It's official now that
Tom Brady has now acquired part ownership of the Las

(57:33):
Vegas Raiders, which further complicates his role as the number
one analyst for Fox Sports, of which he's being paid
thirty seven million dollars a year. He can have no
contact with anybody and not do anything He literally cannot
talk to anybody prior to the game. He can't be

(57:55):
critical of officials in a game as an owner of
a team. I mean, if you're Fox, You're like, what
are we doing? So the guy that is our analyst
on our number one game every week? And look, Tom
Brady's status is the go is not going to get

(58:15):
challenge based on his broadcasting career. But let's put it
this way, being gentle, he hasn't made a big impact
as an analyst yet. But if his only thing he
can do is basically say what we're already seeing with
no background, no conversations, you could say, well, he could
get information from somebody else. Yeah, but that could still

(58:38):
go down as tampering. Yeah. Even if somebody else gave
you information and you use it as an NFL owner,
that is still tampering and the league could come down
hard and you say, well, what what what are the penalties?
I don't know, draft picks for the Raiders.

Speaker 3 (58:57):
Yeah, this seems super messy, Like, how is this allowed?
How is it allowed?

Speaker 8 (59:02):
Right now?

Speaker 2 (59:03):
Well, the NFL is going to have to figure this out.

Speaker 3 (59:06):
He can't go inside any of the facilities, he can't
talk to anybody he can't even.

Speaker 2 (59:11):
Be critical of officials during the game.

Speaker 3 (59:14):
Right, Yeah, there's.

Speaker 2 (59:16):
You know, you say, most of Ana's say well that's
a terrible call. If he says that, he gets fined
or worse.

Speaker 3 (59:23):
So maybe we're gonna hear him say, wow, that was
a really good call. Wink wink, and then we know
he's lying. Uh no, there's no way this works, right,
there's no way this works.

Speaker 2 (59:36):
It just was not necessary.

Speaker 3 (59:37):
It wasn't necessary.

Speaker 2 (59:38):
I don't I don't get it. Greg Olsen obviously had
established that he could get the job done. He was
a rising stars and analysts still is, and he wanted
to go with a big splash. Again. When you look
at the most famous analyst in football, when you think
college football, it's Kirk herbs Street. Kirk Herbstreet. I don't

(01:00:00):
even remember when he was the quarterback at Ohio State.
He had one year, like one year. Chris Collinsworth had
a couple of really good years early in his career
with the Bengals. That was forty plus years ago. The
biggest names don't become the biggest stars in broadcasting.

Speaker 3 (01:00:15):
And it also doesn't happen overnight. I mean, Derek Jeter
just now started talking baseball, you know, in a studio
or with the guys. Tom Brady's gonna have to dig
deep down into his analytical side if he is going
to do this job and do it well, because you're
not gonna have access to anything. So besides telling us

(01:00:36):
like you just said, what we already can see, he's
gonna have to dig a little deep into that analytical
side of his if he has one to make it work.

Speaker 2 (01:00:45):
In all the years I've been watching sports, that's a
lot of years, there are only three analysts that moved
the needle, and o there's three anamals in any sport
that moved the needle because of their presence making comments.
First was Howard Kosell in the beginning of Monday Night Football,
John Madden and Charles Barkley. Those are the old three

(01:01:08):
analysts in my opinion, that always moved the needle. So
the idea of paying somebody an exorbitant amount of money
to be an analyst when you may not have it
being the greatest quarterback, most successful quarterback in the NFL
doesn't do it. But now it's even worse. It is

(01:01:30):
because now he's got his he's handcuffed, he has nothing
he can do.

Speaker 3 (01:01:34):
You know, he's gonna have to dissect the play in
front of him and get creative in what he says
on the mic.

Speaker 2 (01:01:40):
So I don't know what they're gonna do, But you
know what does he care? What is ten year contract
at thirty seven million dollars a year sometimes just makes
some sense. All right, we'll get to that forty nine er.
We also have our picks coming up. Y's right, Gay
Day Genius is right around the corner. Had a great

(01:02:02):
week two weeks ago. Not gonna mentions, all right, now,
let's find out what is trending? Is Kevin Wirrett is back?
Busy day in college football. We've got a great one
going down in Knoxville right now. Number eleven Tennessee, Number
seven Alabama, the Volunteers currently leading it twenty one to
fourteen with less than two minutes ago. This one has

(01:02:24):
just been a crazy back and forth, a fair especially
in this second half. Two third down conversions. Nico back
to throw on this drive.

Speaker 1 (01:02:31):
Fighter for the ends of the pass gonna be a
diving catch.

Speaker 2 (01:02:34):
Did he touch that?

Speaker 6 (01:02:35):
Ensa Chris Prasel stretches full out on the back right
corner of the end zone, caught it on his fingertips
a touchdown of sixteen yards. Want to throw it by
Nico And what a catch by Chris Brasel. Caught him
in the back right corner of the end zone and
Tennessee is back on in front.

Speaker 7 (01:02:54):
Call courtesy of the Tennessee Radio Network. Chris Brasel, Yeah,
that wasn't an outstanding catch he made there in the
end zone, fingertip catch as he laid out for in
the back, and that gave Tennessee the lead.

Speaker 8 (01:03:05):
And they're still clinging on to it right.

Speaker 7 (01:03:07):
Now, up by four, hoping to hold Alabama here and
possibly put a second goal post in the bottom of
the Tennessee River to join the one that went to
the bottom of the Cumberland River a couple of weeks ago.
Of course, Tennessee with the upset that started that traditional
right of carrying the goalpost down to the river when
Tennessee beat Alabama a couple of years ago, So they're
hoping for that repeat. One p fifty five to go

(01:03:30):
and it is fourth down for Alabama. So this is
the game right here. A couple other games going on
right now, USC and Maryland. The Trojans hanging on by
six twenty eight, twenty two, they have reached the two
minute time out. And update on that Alabama game. The
Crimson Tights stopped on a fourth down. They do have
three timeouts left with a minute and forty six go

(01:03:50):
down by four, but Alabama has just been stopped on
a fourth down. Tennessee gets the ball back up by four,
so presumably one first down is all they will need
to put this game away. Some other late action Baylor
leading Texas Tech fifty two to twenty seven. Number fourteen
Texas A and m A thirty four to twenty four

(01:04:10):
lead on Mississippi State. A few right teams just getting started.
Number eight LSU leading Arkansas seven to nothing. They've got
four minutes ago in the first quarter. We're just moments
away from kicking off in Austin. This is probably the
game of the night. Number five Georgia, Number one Texas
Actually they moved back to the kickoff time now seven

(01:04:31):
forty nine Eastern times, so a little under twenty minutes
away from things getting going over in Austin. Number nine
Iowa State about to get started against UCF. Same for
number seventeen Kansas State in their matchup with West Virginia.
Other games that I've gone final from earlier today it
was a shootout down in Louisville. But Number six Miami
moves to seven and oh with a fifty two to

(01:04:53):
forty five win against the Cardinals Number ten Clemson, That
early season loss seems like a distant memory. Is the
Tiger six and one after their win against the Virginia
Cavaliers forty eight to thirty one? Number sixteen Indiana look
in a for real seven and oh the Hoo's is
really putting a whoopin on the Nebraska Cornhuskers fifty six
to seven. Number nineteen Missouri comes from behind to meat

(01:05:15):
Auburn twenty one to seventeen. Army, how about those Black
Nights seven and oh they beat East Carolina forty five
to twenty eight, and Navy also taking care of business
the twenty fifth ranked mid Shipman now six and oh
after they blow out Charlotte fifty one seventeen. So that
certainly creates an interesting scenario if they were able to

(01:05:35):
make that Army Navy game after the conference championship games
are already concluded and both those teams undefeated, that could
create some chaos if they both have a case for
the playoff elsewhere other ranked teams in action number twenty
four Michigan falling to number twenty two, Illinois twenty one
seven and the best throwback uniforms. I think I have
ever seen a football team where as Illinois getting the victory.

(01:05:56):
They are now six and one on the season, three
one in Big Ten Play twelve notre Name thirty one
thirteen against Georgia Tech down in Atlanta.

Speaker 8 (01:06:04):
Back over to you guys.

Speaker 2 (01:06:05):
All right, Kevin, by the way, you had a fourth
and twenty two Alabama. You throw a little dump pass
in the middle of the field, goes for eight yards.
I mean, if you're gonna go for a fourth down,
shouldn't you try to get past the first down marker?
I did. It's over twenty yards, but a dump out
pass in the middle of the field obviously came up
way short. All right, once again, this is Fox Football Saturday.

(01:06:27):
We're coming to live from the tire rack dot Com studios. Well,
a week ago I was bragging about this time no
longer hit it here. Mary mack.

Speaker 8 (01:06:37):
Alright, Steven Monsey, Well we are back at that time
in this time for the game day geniuses. That would
be U two over there, are esteemed geniuses.

Speaker 2 (01:06:46):
And where we.

Speaker 8 (01:06:47):
Left off, Steve, you had jumped everybody up here. You
were living large and in charge last week. Well this
week we have a new new leader in clubhouse mons.

Speaker 2 (01:07:04):
All right, how many how many points does she have?
How many points do I have?

Speaker 8 (01:07:07):
So Monsey went a golden three out of three. Steve,
you actually, uh now you went. You got a dub
on the Ravens. She went one for three, but you
got an l because you took the under and definitely
did not go under fifty one.

Speaker 2 (01:07:23):
Now that was one of that was one of the
great underpredictions.

Speaker 1 (01:07:26):
Of all time.

Speaker 8 (01:07:27):
Moncy is currently Monsey.

Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
I gave thirty points over the Uh yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:07:33):
So with that said, Mancy, you have a one point lead.
It's at thirteen and eight to twelve and eleven. The
losses don't matter. It's thirteen points for Monsey, twelve for Steve.

Speaker 2 (01:07:43):
All right, so one lead. All right, that's already.

Speaker 8 (01:07:45):
Well here's my first pick of the of of our week.
And uh boy, howdy, it's of course I'm doing this
one Lions at Vikings Monse. You already knew I was
gonna do it. We're in the Jersey for a reason.
Over under his fifteen and a half points are leader
in the clubhouse. Mansei, whore you picking?

Speaker 3 (01:08:03):
This is a hard one. It really is.

Speaker 8 (01:08:05):
You will be judged by the way by your answer.

Speaker 3 (01:08:07):
Oh thank you. I'm judged all the time. So does
you have a Lions fan and a Vikings Listen, I
really don't know what the right answer is in this situation.
I think the Lions are the better team. But I
don't think the Vikings are fake. I I don't think
it's a fluke that they are five and no. But
I do think that I think the Lions are gonna

(01:08:29):
get it. I think the Lions win this one. Yeah,
I'm sorry, I do take that pasture. It's not gonna
and it's not gonna be easy. It's just I think
the Lions have the edge.

Speaker 2 (01:08:40):
I take it. It's my turn, mister Harmon. I feel
like there's an opening here. You know, here's the thing
about the NFL. You watch a team like what the
Lions did of the Cowboys last week, You're like, Oh,
they they're gonna win this game. Vikings are actually a
slight favorite in this They are coming off of buye.

(01:09:03):
I'm going Minnesota in this game and I'm going over
fifty and a half. Let's going due Without Aiden Hutchinson
in there, I think the Vikings have a field day.
The Lions can't be stopped. I know that. So yeah,

(01:09:23):
it's a big overrunner. We can consider the Vikings defense
as good. Lions are decent defensively, but I'm gonna go
Voiking Vikings and I'm taking the over.

Speaker 8 (01:09:32):
What about any bold, any bold Montsey bolt.

Speaker 3 (01:09:35):
I don't have a bold for this one.

Speaker 8 (01:09:36):
Now that's fine. I get it, it's close game.

Speaker 3 (01:09:38):
I get close game.

Speaker 2 (01:09:39):
I have no bold for that.

Speaker 8 (01:09:41):
Well, let's go with that number two. It's you know,
we're not going that far away from the NFC North
on this one. With that said, we had the Houston
Texans taking on the Green Bay Packers in Lambeau. By
the way, Packers are home forty eight and a half
is the over under one points scored, and Steve, we're
gonna go start with you what we're feeling.

Speaker 2 (01:10:02):
Well, I believe that Jordan Love is back on track.
It took him a little time to shake off the rust,
and the Texans haven't really been all that great other
than the fact they're finding ways to win games. But
on the road against the Packers. I don't see it.
I'm taking Green Bay to beat the Texans.

Speaker 3 (01:10:23):
Yeah, Houston is going to be missing players on both
sides of the ball. I mean, it's gonna be a
hard one for them, and I agree. I think Jordan
Love is feeling himself right now. The Packers are also
playing some of their best defense. You know, Jeff Hafley,
their defensive coordinator, has kind of instilled takeaways being a

(01:10:43):
big part. Last year they only had eighteen takeaways. The
Packers already have seventeen this year. I am also taking
the Packers and I oh do it. I'm taking the packerss.

Speaker 2 (01:11:00):
Over unders forty eight and a half.

Speaker 3 (01:11:02):
No, I'm not touching it. I have I have.

Speaker 8 (01:11:07):
Would you like to do a bold though it's not
gonna hurt you, it's not.

Speaker 3 (01:11:11):
I actually think Joe Mixon will be stopped. I say
he has under under seventy five yards on the ground
and no touchdown.

Speaker 8 (01:11:21):
You're seventy five under seventy that's too much, too much,
m I mean, he's been on a hot and no
touchdown touchdowns. So if he gets a touchdown and he's
but he's still under no.

Speaker 3 (01:11:32):
No, it would have to be both. I say it's both,
like I just think he's going to be stuck.

Speaker 2 (01:11:35):
Yeah right, all right, I'm going to give you a
bold prediction right now. C J. Stroud zero touchdown passes.

Speaker 8 (01:11:40):
Oh that's bold. Oh that's a good one, Steve. All right, No,
I'm gonna I'm gonna give you both of that, because
if Monsie can have underyards and still gets a touchdown,
then it cancels.

Speaker 2 (01:11:50):
Corrective scenes like a big number bold, Steve, I like
that zero touchdown passes or c JSON.

Speaker 3 (01:11:56):
You're crazy easy. I don't know what. I don't know what.

Speaker 8 (01:12:01):
Fortune favors the bold people.

Speaker 3 (01:12:03):
Yeah, it's true.

Speaker 8 (01:12:05):
All right, all right, you want we can go in
the final one here.

Speaker 2 (01:12:07):
Let's do it. Let's get it out of the way
right now.

Speaker 8 (01:12:10):
All right, Final one Chiefs Niners, Super Bowl rematch. Niners
are home forty six and a half. Manzi, the floor
is yours.

Speaker 3 (01:12:21):
I feel like, you know, you bet against the Chiefs
and Patrick Mahomes and then they prove you wrong. Every
single time Mahomes has been in the middle of the
pack if you look statistically. But obviously the Chiefs are
still winning. But I think this game is going to

(01:12:42):
be more important to the forty nine ers and their future.
So I say, the forty nine ers when at home
in this Super Bowl rematch against.

Speaker 2 (01:12:51):
The Chiefs, sound reasoning, moncy, no doubt about that. But wrong, wrong, wrong,
don't ever go against homes of the Chiefs. Not only
will the Chiefs win. Bold prediction, Chiefs win by double
digits as a two.

Speaker 3 (01:13:12):
Point dogs at Is that a.

Speaker 2 (01:13:14):
Bold enough prediction on the road.

Speaker 3 (01:13:18):
Yes, absolutely, no, it's not gonna happen.

Speaker 8 (01:13:21):
Forty six point five over unders going ones going, no,
not touching.

Speaker 2 (01:13:25):
No, no, no, Steve, No, I already had my one over.
You saw how brilliant my under was last week? That
was I think they went over by halftime. I'm like, well,
that's such a big number of ye and I'm like,
what was I thinking that was? That was not good?
All right? Coming up on the others, SI will put

(01:13:48):
uh to wrap some of the other games of consequence
this week in the NFL. This is Fox Football Saturday.
Oh yeah, Steve Harvey Montsios, Fox Football Saturday Live from
the tiraq dot com studios. Want to thank our crew today.
Kevin Wyatt, very busy day in college football, keeping us
updated on all the scores, Mary Mack.

Speaker 3 (01:14:11):
With the jam dude, Patrick out of this so hard.

Speaker 4 (01:14:15):
I forgot about this thought.

Speaker 8 (01:14:16):
This is the uncensored version, by the way.

Speaker 2 (01:14:18):
Yeah, be careful on this one. But that's all phenomenal.
And Patrick, of course doing a brilliant job as he
always does, trying to trip us up with those picks.
Tough games. This week, I mean every week right now
from this point on, the NFL gets tougher, tougher, tougher.
It's a final. Tennessee has defeated Alabama twenty four to seventeen,

(01:14:40):
and Tennessee moves to six and one. Alabama second loss.
You'm thinking about Alabama beating Georgia. They were on top
of the world, Kaylin de Boor you know, wow, you
had a look at that. He's taking over for Nick Saban.
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. That's two losses in their
last three games, and not good losses and not good life.

Speaker 4 (01:15:01):
All right.

Speaker 2 (01:15:01):
They are just about to kick off right now this
game in Austin, number one ranked Texas undefeated six and
oh taking on number five Georgia five and one. I
cannot wait to sit down and watch this game. This
is going to be good stuff here today that stadium.
By the way, I've been to that stadium, not for

(01:15:21):
a game. I was actually in Austin and they had
just expanded the stadium there, And it is just some
of these college football stadiums are mine boggling how big
they are. We were talking one hundred thousand fans.

Speaker 3 (01:15:35):
Yeah, no, it's crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:15:36):
Do you think there's any NFL team that could pack
in one hundred thousand fans every week?

Speaker 3 (01:15:42):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:15:43):
A few, you do, I think so, a few, like
really like.

Speaker 3 (01:15:46):
I honestly, I think the Cowboys. I think the Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (01:15:50):
You think the Cowboys get one hundred thousand every week?

Speaker 3 (01:15:52):
I maybe not every week, but that they could.

Speaker 2 (01:15:55):
I mean, I mean Penn State, Michigan City, Yeah, I
mean these are one hundred thousand seed stadiums every every game. Yeah,
one hundred thousand. Don't get that in the NFL. No, no, no,
that doesn't mean more people are watching NFL because they are.
They are watching it, all right, So we'll watch I'll

(01:16:16):
watch that game now Monci tomorrow. We mentioned we got
NFL football and a big day. Indeed, I have been
remiss and talking about a team right now. If the
playoffs started today, it would be in the playoffs, and
that would be your beloved Los Angeles Chargers. No, this

(01:16:38):
is a game. As you know, I've been coming back
and forth from the Phoenix area over the last month months,
so I actually circled this game as a game I
was going to take my kids to see. But then
I looked at it and I was like, not gonna
waste it. Well, this is because last year, instead of
taking them to a game at so Far, we decided
to make the trip to Vegas forty two nothing Raiders

(01:17:01):
at halftime, yeah, can you imagine? And my boys were
decked out full Charger gears as they should be. Good job,
full Charger gear. You know what was the worst part
of that, well, it was a lot as it turned
out to be. Brandon Staley and Tom Telesco's less game
was not getting ripped by Raider fans about and by

(01:17:22):
the way, Raiders had not scored an offensive touchdown three
weeks going into that game. It was the sympathy in
the second half. Oh We're so sorry. Yeah. Now, if
you're a Charger fan, all of a sudden you got
Raider fans like feeling sorry for you. That is ten
times worse. And you know them ragging on you. You guys,
saw you are you?

Speaker 8 (01:17:43):
Oh? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:17:44):
Sorry?

Speaker 3 (01:17:45):
I think the Dodgers the Dodgers. I think the Chargers
have had a lot of sympathy actually the last couple
of years from NFL fans just because they have not
been disciplined and they have had talent. They have had
talent on both sides of the ball and had not
been able to execute. Here comes, you know, Jim Harbaugh.
And even though I don't necessarily love the game plan

(01:18:08):
because it does keep Justin Herbert a little bit more contained,
I like what he's doing. They're disciplined, they have a
game plan, they're not going to deviate, and that's not
necessarily a bad thing. He knows what they can do,
he knows what they can't do, and it's been successful
and I think they can They're gonna make the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (01:18:27):
Well. And by the way, this is I'm showing Manci
the picture of my boys at the game. See totally
decked out, full charge of.

Speaker 3 (01:18:34):
Gear with different with different color jerseys at all.

Speaker 2 (01:18:37):
Yeah, they love it. They were all decked out and
it was it was bad. I'm just curious moving forward
for the Chargers what their game plan is for Justin Herbert,
Why did when you looked at these wide receivers that
were available out there, knowing that your receiving core is
as thin as it is with the Chargers. And again,
I give Jim Harbaugh credit because he is he's making

(01:18:59):
the best of what he had and he wants to
run the ball, and they've been doing that effectively. The
offensive line has been outstanding. We saw a little bit
of it in the last game with Justin Herbert, maybe
a little more throwing the ball. But you got the
supreme talent. Why did you not go out and get
a receiver.

Speaker 3 (01:19:14):
I think he just had priorities as to what to
fix first and figured that he has the talent in
the quarterback, why not leave that last. That's the only
thing that makes sense that he wanted to fix one
thing at a time, started the offensive line, where it's
on the defense.

Speaker 2 (01:19:29):
But it's different this year because teams that we thought
were going to be destined to the postseason, like the Bengals,
like the Dolphins. I mean a lot of these teams
are like, okay, look at the AFC right now. I
threw a flyer at the Broncos. But the Chargers are
the same way this right now is I'm telling you
nine wins might get into the wild card in the AFC.

Speaker 3 (01:19:49):
I mean they're winning right now, they're figuring it out.

Speaker 2 (01:19:51):
