Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Oh Carrie Roads, y'all.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
I always love a little bonus time with my guy,
Carrie Roads.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
So good morning to you, my friend.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
And as we get ready for one of the true
environment games that's kind of what I would call it,
Ohio State and Penn State about to kick off, we're
broadcasting live from the ti rag dot com studios. Tyreg
dot com will help you get there an unmatched election,
fast free shipping, free road has a protection in over
ten thousand recommended installers tyreg dot com. The way tire

(00:35):
buying should be the Louisville Cardinal, not that one, this one.
Carrie Rhodes, Like, I'm trying to remember back in your
day at Louisville.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Myself, what's that now? I said, don't hurt yourself. You
got to know that's a little bit, that's a little
furred back now.

Speaker 5 (00:51):
I know, I know it's been a minute, it's been
a minute, but but I'm trying to remember, like sort
of the arc of that program and how many of
the these types of games did you get to.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Play in in your time where it was one hundred
thousand people ready to absolutely lose their.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Minds as two top five teams get together.

Speaker 6 (01:12):
Never but I'll tell you that's what I thought. But
Mark hold on now, So like my last year though,
we did get the Oras Bowl when Miami was three
and we were ten I think. So it was close
and that count it counts right. Yeah, we got there.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
We lost by three, I think, but we were up
at the half at seventeen and the energy was crazy,
So I know what that feeling feels like.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Yes, well, tell us about it, because one thing I
think about right now, as these guys are all ready
to get out there on the field and we got
all kinds of stuff that we're going to hop around
and do this morning for the next two hours, and
glad you're with us here on Fox Sports Radio, But
how do you go about harnessing that like everybody who's
about to take the field right now with emotions absolutely

(01:58):
through the roof? I don't know, man, how do you
know that commit a penalty on the first five places?

Speaker 6 (02:02):
Yeah, it's about it.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
It's about focus, man, It's about what you just said,
like temper and temper and the emotions because they are
going to be higher right one hundred thousand fans screaming
and either direction right, even if you're the away team
that energy going into the enemy enemy's territory and one
to plant your flag, which a lot of these young
kids do nowadays, Like you have to you have to
be able to put your put your mindset on your responsibilities,

(02:27):
what your team's game plan is, and understand that, like
the level headed team usually always wins. And so if
you come out all over the place you're not, you're
not going to be ready to play this game.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
I am.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
I'm glad you said that the level headed team always
wins because it's a perfect transition into where we actually
want to start. Because we kind of call these little
like watch party weekends, and I would rather let some
things get going here in the game and will react
to it as it's going. And so if you're out
and about, I know how it works on the weekend,
if you would.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Rather be watching Ohio State and Penn State.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
But you need to go to the hardware store, or
your kid has a soccer game or whatever the heck
is going on today, just hang right here with us
and we'll keep you up to date. But I'd rather
let that kind of start to develop and then we'll
circle back to it. But you talk about the level
headed team. Let's pop up to the NFL and let
me ask you a question. There is one team that

(03:21):
seems to be very mature on both sides of the ball.
There is one team who has not lost a football
game yet. It is the same team that has won
back to back Super Bowls and three out of the
last four. And if anybody next to you is ask
the question, who's the best team in the NFL right now?

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Who do you like? Nobody answers this team? What the
hell's going on?

Speaker 3 (03:45):
Like? Why are the Kansas City Chiefs not the answer
to everyone's questions right now?

Speaker 2 (03:54):
You know?

Speaker 4 (03:55):
I think because everybody wants them to lose outside of
Kansas City, right.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
So, okay, it's a desire thing.

Speaker 6 (04:01):
I think it's a desire thing.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Number One, they and it also like aesthetically, it's not
as pleasing as it used to be, right, It's they're
eking out wins every week. They're not dominating. It's not
a dominating fashion. So like for me, even just myself,
I take myself when I watch the NFL now, I
don't even say they're the best team in the league.
And it's because I think, just because of the lack

(04:22):
of domination and what we think that team or what
the initial thought when we think of the Chiefs used
to be, right, the high flying team, the team that
scores a lot of points, the sexy team. It's gonna
be fun to watch that game. Now it's not fun
watching that game, watching that team play. They're winning, and
you said it, they know how to win, They've been there,
and I think that's I think that's a blessing for them.

(04:44):
But when you look at it, just doesn't look like
they're the best team if you look at it from
a total, like a totality standpoint.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
I love what you're saying, but what does it say
about us?

Speaker 6 (04:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (04:52):
You know what I mean, Like we're we're you know
what I mean? No, no, wonder everybody's relationships.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
It's really hard to stay faith full for everybody out
there because is that what we do? We just just like, no,
it's not fun. Somebody go find something fun? What about effective?
What about something that's good for you? Like, I mean,
my goodness, I look at this and I kind of
have I think, what is a thought that's alongside what
you just said to me? The reason people don't think

(05:21):
the Chiefs are the best team in football is because
of fantasy football.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Our brains are so hardwired.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
To that now. It's how we watch it. It's our
way to sort of take control.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Of the game.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
It's the game within the game. There's money, there's friends,
all of the things. It's fun. But too often we
let what we're seeing happen in fantasy football. If somebody
gives you twenty or thirty points on a weekend, then
that means they're playing well. But if they only give
you twelve, they're not playing well. Is Patrick Mahomes playing.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Well, He's not.

Speaker 6 (06:01):
He's not.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
No, he's seven to zero Carrie exactly.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
But if this that's the that's their team though. So
even you talk about fantasy, I understand that part of it.
But even watching Patrick Mahomes play, he is not playing
great football. He's playing adequate football, and they're winning. He's
doing enough for them to win because that team is
a complete team. And I think the other thing about
fantasy when you talk about that, I mean, if you
don't have their defense, it's a fantasy defense. You don't

(06:28):
pay attention to how good they really are as a unit.

Speaker 7 (06:30):
So best best in the league exactly. So it's not
just like at homes. Yeah exactly.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
So yeah, like and and maybe this goes back to
that old adage that I kind of give up on
because I don't even know if it's necessarily true anymore.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
It's true to a degree. Well, when people.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
Say defense wins championships, do you buy that just across.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
The board, Yes, you do, I do, see, I see,
I like, I buy it.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
But to me, it's like, I don't know, maybe the
word should be balanced wins championships.

Speaker 6 (07:02):
Probably like you.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Can't, you know, like you can do what Ray Lewis
and the Ravens did years ago, but not very often,
not usually.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
So I look at it that way.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
They've got the best defense in the game, and that
side of the ball is better than the other side
of the ball, and that's weird to us. And and
Travis is getting older, and the receivers are all hurt,
and the running back is hurt, and so it just
feels like it's all kind of a cobbled together mess.
But when you come out the other side, it's not

(07:37):
messy at all. It's perfect seven to zero.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
And that's I guess that's the conundrum, right, I mean,
as us as a society right now. Obviously, everything that's
we kind of take a liking to or end up
meandering around a little longer than we should. It looks
a certain way right and right now this just doesn't
look that way. And I mean again, the wreck it
says they are, but everything else says ah, you know ah,

(08:05):
he says, all right, I.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
Think we're all working under the premise that it's like
it's a house of cards and it's gonna fall.

Speaker 6 (08:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
But the other, the other, the other thing that I
don't think we're thinking, you know where this is heading.
This is like even if you think they're gonna get
beat in the playoffs, that means you think someone's gonna
go to Arrowhead and beat them in January. Good luck,
good luck.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
I'll go, I mean, Mark, I'll go. I'll go out
on the limb right now and say, this team is
going to lose. They'll lose four to five games this year.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
So I don't four to five.

Speaker 6 (08:38):
I think, so, yeah, they've only got nine left.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Yeah, I think I guess they've got ten left.

Speaker 7 (08:43):
They've already by exactly anyway, Mark, they'll lose four games,
So I think a team still has a chance to
you know, get that top spot in AFC, is what
I'm trying to say.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
But but if they don't, though, you're right, you're right.
If they don't, I don't think anybody's gonna beat them
in narrowhead.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Right because you just said that carry I want to
I'm gonna I'm gonna do this. And I never love
the I never love the win loss game when people
like the schedules come out and they start telling you
four months ahead of time, who's gonna win a football
game without having any idea who's healthy for it or
or or what quarterbacks gonna play. So there are caveats.

(09:19):
Patrick Mahomes could get hurt. I get it. But on
Monday night they host Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay does not
have any of their wide receivers. Who do you think
is winning that football game? The Chiefs, Okay, so now
you're gonna put them at eight and oh and with
nine remaining games, you said that they're gonna go five
and four. This this, this is what they're doing. They're
hosting Denver, they have to go to Buffalo. In mid November,

(09:41):
they go to Carolina, Yaha.

Speaker 6 (09:44):
They host the one they lose, Mark, that's the one.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
I mean.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
They host the Raiders, they host the Chargers, they go
to Cleveland, they host Houston, they go to Pittsburgh, they
go to Denver.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
Yes, they're gonna lose one of those Bronco games lose.
They'll lose one to the Bills. That's two. I think
the Chargers get one. That'll be three, and the Texans
chief or the Tech or the Chiefs, and the Steelers.
One of those they can lose. So I can see
four of those right right there.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
I mean I could see it.

Speaker 6 (10:13):
That's all I'm saying. I'm not saying it.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
But I mean you're calling five hundred ball the rest
of the way. And even if they do do that,
that still doesn't.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
Mean that these other teams, No, I have to go
to arrowhead.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
I mean, the Texans already have three, the Bills already
have two, the Steelers have two.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
But come on, I know, right, how does Mike Tomlin do?

Speaker 6 (10:34):
This is so good?

Speaker 2 (10:35):
So what the hell is that?

Speaker 6 (10:37):
It's it's it's witchcraft, that's what it is.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Unbelievable. And then the Ravens have three.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
Yes, and the Ravens, I feel like people want to
say that that's the best team in the AFC, But
they're five and three.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
I want to say it as well, and I you're right,
but if a team could could run the rest of
the table throughout this regular season, I mean the Ravens
are one of those.

Speaker 6 (11:00):
So but also they get lose. You just never know, man.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
But in a hypothetical game, hypothetical situation, like I said,
I could see the Chiefs losing.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
Four here, Well, I'll tell you why we all love
the Ravens. Damn gonna go to the same reason as
to why we don't like the Chiefs. Why do we
love the Ravens because Lamar helps you and Derek helps you,
and so we've decided they're playing well.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Carrie's right, they're playing well.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
It doesn't matter that they lost at home to the
Raiders and Jameis Winston ran up and down the field autumn.
You just said defense wins championships. And their defense is terrible.

Speaker 6 (11:32):
They are terrible right now.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
They are, which I don't know if I've ever said
in my whole life that the Ravens defense is terrible.

Speaker 6 (11:38):
Me neither.

Speaker 4 (11:39):
It's an anomaly. But they if you watched them play,
and I think they said something throughout the week, their
their defensive coordinator Zach Orr is Zach of Michael Orr.

Speaker 6 (11:49):
I think is Zach Orr, but.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
Uh sure, but yeah, he's sure.

Speaker 4 (11:53):
I know, I know it is or ladies and gentlemen.
But he said he said something about their communication. And
when I watch them play, you can tell they're trying
to be the smartest defense on the field. And I
think I've talked about this before. Quarterbacks smart quarterbacks usually
have the advantage on the defense doesn't really matter because
they have the ability to get a new check across

(12:15):
to ten other players right away, right and they can
all be on the same page. Good defenses, great defenses
can do the same thing. But when you don't have
continuity there, and you're in a new scheme and you
have a new play caller calling things, you don't know
exactly what he's going to think in certain moments, and
you can see them trying to over communicate to getting
the best plays and they can't. They can't catch, they

(12:36):
can't tackle. Right now, they're looking really bad.

Speaker 3 (12:40):

We'll watch the buck guys head back the other way
here shortly.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
Keep you up to date. All right, let me run
a little test on you, Carrie.

Speaker 6 (14:43):
Let's do it.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
So you're starting an NFL team and you can have anybody.
You've got the first pick, and so I'm going to
assume you're going to take a quarterback.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
Which one are you taking?

Speaker 6 (14:57):
Look at you, Mark? Here you go today.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
I'm gonna take today.

Speaker 6 (15:04):
Today, I'm gonna take Lamar Jackson for sure, And that's.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
What I figured you'd do for multiple reasons, not just
because you went to Louisville. But but he's got our
he's got our eye right now as the quote best player.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
In the world.

Speaker 3 (15:18):
Yes, but but there's a quarterback out there who's the
face of the league and wins the Super Bowl every year,
and and some would argue he's on the track to
not just being the greatest today but the greatest of.

Speaker 8 (15:38):
All time for sure. Yeah, but we want Lamar who's
never even been to a super Bowl. Yes, make it
make sense.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
Carrie Mark, I'll say, here we go again. I know
the super Bowl matters, and it does. It really does
for talking about greatness down the road. The caveat of
what we've just saying this question is right now, if
we talk about the accolades. I mean, we know that
Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the game over
the span that he's been in the league.

Speaker 6 (16:10):
There's no question there.

Speaker 4 (16:12):
Right now, we're talking about building a franchise quarterback right
now as we stand as we speak, for me, it
just be Lamar because of its play though the way
he's playing right now. I mean, obviously, if you look
at the numbers, the stats don't lie that he's number
one in pretty much every quarterback quarterback category right now,
and the eye test we see him. We can see

(16:32):
him making all the throws. We know he can make
the runs still and it's very appealing, which we talked
about earlier right in the first segment. It's appealing to see.
But also they win as well. Baltimore hasn't won the
championship yet, but you're gonna have a chance to win
a championship every year with him at the quarterback home.
So it's not that far off to say you would
take that guy to be the quarterback, you know.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
Okay, we can circle back to this conversation, but let's
get Isaac Low and Crown in here, because we've got
some breaking.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
News, breaking news from Fox Sports.

Speaker 9 (17:04):
From the world of Major League Baseball ESPN reporting the
New York Yankees as Garrett Cole has opted out of
his contract. However, the Yankees convoid the opt out by
adding one year and thirty six million dollars to the
four years remaining on his deal. This, of course, just
after the Yankees earlier today declined Anthony Rizzo's seventeen million

(17:25):
dollar option for next season fellas Okay.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
So iload to make sure I understand this correctly. He
opts out, he's got four years and one hundred and
forty four left. If the Yankees want to turn that
into five years and one eighty, then he stays.

Speaker 6 (17:41):
You're arithmetic is absolutely correct.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
Thank you, Okay, okay, avoided yep.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
All right, it's Saturday morning. I did not know if
there were still cobwebs in the brain. I wanted to
make sure I understood the way that that's all going down.
So what do you think the Yankees.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
Are going to do here?

Speaker 4 (17:56):
Oh, they're definitely gonna I think he's only doing that
just as secure that fifth year. I mean, they're not
going to let him go. I know you had injuries
this year where you know, he had to really fight
back to even get back to Garrett Cole style.

Speaker 6 (18:07):
But yeah, I mean he's their ace, and that they're
going to lock him up, I would feel what about.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
Yeah, well, I mean sure, I'm with you, like that
makes sense.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
What you're saying makes sense.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
And for those who who aren't aware, you know, you
don't have baseball reference up. Yes, there was injuries. He
had been an All Star five out of six years
coming into this year. Wasn't this year only won eight games.
His era was still very respectable three point four to one.
He was still a very good pitcher. But I also wonder,

(18:41):
like Carrie, we're talking about age here now too, if
you if you add that fifth year, you're taking Garrett
Cole to age thirty eight as a pitcher who was
already struggling with injury this year.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
I'm not so sure they're going to do that.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
Oh really, Okay, Well, I remember now, and I know
we we think of the Yankees as a team where
it's like money.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
Is just printed. But in theory, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (19:08):
I think they've got a different free agent that's gonna
require a little bit of dough, probably someone in the
neighborhood of six to seven hundred million dollars in order
to try to keep him. And so I guess we'll
find out if money really does grow on trees, because
in the in the wake of Judges Deal a couple
of years ago, whatever Soto's gonna get, which I mean,

(19:29):
take a breath, could literally double what Aaron God, Yes,
are you gonna go a buck eighty for a pitcher
until he's aged thirty eight?

Speaker 6 (19:39):
I mean, if you're gonna.

Speaker 4 (19:39):
If you're gonna If he's opting out right now and
you don't have him in the fold at all for
the next two three years, I think that's a major loss.
So I mean, maybe you take a hit on that
last year. I mean, right now, if you talk about
the Yankees, who was their ace. If he was to leave,
then they have to really go out and find one.
But then you just don't sure where that goes.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
Yeah, I hear you.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
Blake Snell just opted out yesterday from the San Francisco Giants,
and and so he and the Yankees were pretty I
don't know if close is the right word, but I
do think that as far.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
As total value of the deal.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
Reportedly, the Yankees gave him the biggest offer of anybody
last offseason. He didn't like the terms. He and Scott
Worris didn't like the terms. They didn't do it, so
instead they went with a short term deal with the Giants.
But I got to wonder if maybe the Yankees, maybe
you get back on the on the horse with with
Blake Snell and see what kind of a deal you

(20:37):
could you could put up there. He is two years
younger than Garrett Cole. That's a good point, and I'd
argue more dominant too when he's right.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
I mean, he dealt with injury this year too.

Speaker 6 (20:48):
Oh wow, you think, yeah, you think Snell is more
dominant when he's helted than Cole.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
I do, really, I do.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
I mean Blake Snell's coming off of cy Young two
years ago, and it was not his first Cy Young
and then you know he pretty much missed spring training
because of all the contract negotiations and then dealt with
first half injury after that. But if you want to
look at what Blake Snell did in the in the

(21:14):
second half of the season last year, it's breathtaking.

Speaker 6 (21:18):
God.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
I mean like it was. I mean, you couldn't touch him,
it was, it was.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
It was next to unhittable. You know, he was five
and three with a three one two e R. But again,
he was awful and dealing with injury for almost the
first three months of the season, and then after that
he was flat out untouchable.

Speaker 6 (21:40):
Yeah, no, I get it.

Speaker 4 (21:41):
I mean I saw snow a lot when he was
with the Rays, and so I got to see him
up close and personal a lot there against against the Yankees, right. So,
but I mean, if you look at it just from
the last performance that we just saw of Cole.

Speaker 6 (21:52):
He went five no hit innings.

Speaker 4 (21:53):
In the World Series and then you have that disastrous
fifth inning happened. So it's you know, he's still he's
right at the top of that list when he's healthy.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
I'm looking at when, uh, when Blake Snell be ready
for this number.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
Just for fun, I'm gonna throw a number at you now, Okay.

Speaker 3 (22:11):
Once he came back from injury, and the calendar flipped
to July for Blake Snell last year, YEP one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen,
fourteen starts, YEP fourteen starts from July through September. Fourteen starts. Yes, yes, yes,

(22:32):
eleven runs. Yeah, in fourteen starts.

Speaker 6 (22:38):
That'll be a one something something.

Speaker 2 (22:43):
His era in July was point seventy five.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
It ballooned to one six four in September and in
uh or I'm sorry in August, and then in September
it was one.

Speaker 6 (22:56):
Oh no to us. I'm with you, Mark, I'm not untouchable. Yeah,
not debating.

Speaker 4 (23:00):
I'm not debating how good they are together or individually
when you compare the two. But I just know that
they're both very good, and you say that snails a
little younger, so hey, maybe that isn't looked an option.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
Negotiation here it comes.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
Oh and by the way, in those fourteen starts and
I mentioned only eleven runs, yep, thirty three hits.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
I was just about to say, how many base runners
breaking down ween.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
Starts, he's averaging two and a half hits per game. Yeah,
I mean, he was insane. He was absolutely insane.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
All right, Mark Weather, Kerry Rowse, Let's get Ilo right
back in here with a full, full rundown of everything
that's trending.

Speaker 9 (23:42):
All right, fellas a development just moments ago as Penn
State has just taken a nine nothing lead over Ohio
State on a pick six by Zion Tracy. He intercepted
Will Howard and returned to thirty one yards for a touchdown.
So hen State, with five point thirty seven left in
the first quarter, has just taken a nine to nothing

(24:04):
lead over Ohio State, with the conversion attempt pending elsewhere,
fifth ranked Miami at eight and oh out to an
early lead over Duke no score war.

Speaker 6 (24:15):
To get into the air. He's looking, he's looking. He's
trying to elude one.

Speaker 10 (24:19):
He dodges one booster's right side, looking down the field
players to the end zone. It is good quays poor
Miami touchdown thirty four yards war dearrisp oh Man, goodness.

Speaker 9 (24:34):
Gracious Josehaki the call on WQAM Miami seven duke nothing,
five point thirty seven left in the first quarter. Here's
how number nineteen Old Miss got on the scoreboard at
Arkansas moments ago.

Speaker 11 (24:47):
It sins on its football, it's on the gram and
the Rebels recovering Jared Ivy for the touchdown.

Speaker 9 (24:55):
The call by David Kellum on WOXF SO with five
twenty six left in the first quarter. There nineteenth rank
Ole Miss has a seven to nothing lead at Arkansas.
Number twenty one Army of three to nothing lead over
air Force four to go in the first quarter, Minnesota
three nothing advantage at number twenty four Illinois with four
minutes left to play in the first quarter, and fellas

(25:16):
this is actually a non top twenty five score, but
it's gaining traction as far as what's trending. Four forty
one left in the first quarter, Oklahoma seven main seven
in Norman.

Speaker 6 (25:29):
Anyway, Yeah, Major League.

Speaker 9 (25:31):
Baseball, as we mentioned a short time ago, ESPN reported
Yankees ace Garrett Cole opting out of his contract. Yankees, however,
convoid the opt out by adding a year and thirty
six million dollars to his existing deal. Yankees today Austin
declining Anthony Rizzo's seventeen million dollar option for next season.
That makes him a free agent. ESPN reported moments ago

(25:52):
the Cody Bellinger of the Chicago Cubs has opted in
to his twenty seven point five million dollar player option
for twenty twenty five. Finally, in the NFL, the Cleveland
Browns put linebacker Jeremiah Owusu Koramoa on injured reserve today
because of a neck injury.

Speaker 6 (26:07):

can we put a boat on it? We were talking
about Lamar and Patrick and it's funny that Penn State
is doing what they're doing right now. Extra point is
good and it's ten to nothing, and I'm kind of like,

(27:27):
maybe Penn State is maybe they're the chiefs. Maybe they're
the chiefs of college football because they're the ones who
are seven and zero. They're the ones who are at
home today and they're the underdog. And you see you
see what happens in some of these situations. So it
was interesting to me that you're like, yeah, but Mark,

(27:48):
you said, right now, who do I want? Yes, I
want Lamar because it's right now, and I'm like looking
at the standings and I'm like, right now.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
Is seven and oh with the.

Speaker 4 (28:02):
Best with the best defense in the NFL, and Lamar
has probably one of the worst at the moment. So
like that, think about all of those factors. If if
Lamar was on the Chiefs right now, would they be
seven and oh?

Speaker 2 (28:16):
I mean probably, You've got a question, I would I
would think, Well, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
I mean, that's a completely different offense. You know, I
don't know, like the hypotheticals. I get what you're saying,
probably probably. But I also know that Lamar has had
great defenses in the past.

Speaker 6 (28:32):
Yes, yes, he's.

Speaker 3 (28:33):
Had great defenses in the pasture and and and has
not has not one.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
In the end.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
I mean, like, I'm not even here battling against the
guy I do. He's fantastic, He's the best, He's the best.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
Carrie.

Speaker 3 (28:49):
I have him on two of my fantasies, and it's wonderful.
It's wonderful to have him on your fantasy team, and
I enjoy watching him play, probably more than any other
player in the league. Like that's all true, But I
just I love exploring how we've sort of arrived where
we have with with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs,

(29:15):
all of the things that we say about the other
top teams who struggle at times, the Ravens and the
forty nine ers and good god, the Cowboys and whatever
the hell's going on there.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
Oh yeah, and we'll go around the league and.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
Oh yeah, but it's football, and everybody pays their players
and coaches and anything on any given Sunday. Well not
not against Kansas City. Those rules apparently don't apply to
Kansas City.

Speaker 6 (29:38):
That's right. No, they just keep winning.

Speaker 4 (29:40):
It's funny because I'll go into a game and I'll
I'll look at it, I'll study it, I'll try to
diagnose what I think or make some some sort of
prosta prostica nation, right and something like that, something like that,
something like that, right, And and you're like, Okay, this
is a game, No, probably they'll lose. They're going into

(30:01):
San Francisco. San Francisco needs this game really well, I
mean really badly. And so yeah, I'm gonna give the
forty nine ers a benefit of doubt. It's a Revens game.
They're gonna come out and try to stay there, you know,
you know, let them know that we can beat you.
And then they come out and they beat them by
double digits. And then they'll play the Raiders and have
to kick a field goal down the stretch to win
it by by.

Speaker 6 (30:21):
Six or three or whatever.

Speaker 4 (30:22):
Right, So it's like it's that like it's almost like
they're they're so good, they're so balanced, they play the
way they want to play every game, and they come
out and they're gonna play you at the level that
you are at, and we're just gonna beat you at
that level. And sometimes I think that's frustrating for me,
or not probably frustrating for others as well.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
No doubt. I mean it is odd.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
If you look at their seven wins, six of them
are by one score, and the only one that's not
is like the one that they were under an underdog
in on the road against the San Francisco forty nine
ers against an absolutely desperate team.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
Yeah, but that's kind of what I'm getting.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
At, Like I've learned already the scars from last January
are still there, which is that I thought the Chiefs
were going to lose three times in a row, like
I you know, they beat Miami in the snow and
I'm like, sure that that makes all the sense in
the world.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
And then I'm trying to remember where did they go?
Was it Buffalo the following week?

Speaker 6 (31:23):
I think so?

Speaker 2 (31:24):
I think it was Buffalo.

Speaker 6 (31:26):
I think so.

Speaker 3 (31:27):
And then and then obviously the title game in Baltimore,
and I thought they were going to lose both of
those and they didn't. And then they went to the
Super Bowl and I thought they were going to lose that,
and I thought they were going to lose that after
the first quarter.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
I thought they were going to lose. After the second quarter.
I thought they were going to lose. After the third quarter.
They didn't lose. They don't lose. They never lose.

Speaker 12 (31:48):
I know.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
It's frustrating, man, it's frustrating too, because, like I said,
it's if they were like super dominant, you I think
people would appreciate it. Like if it was a dominant
thing where it was like they're beating teams forty none,
He'll be like, man, this is exciting because they're really
good and you can see it, and I can taste
that like I can.

Speaker 6 (32:08):
I want to be a part of that. But now
it's like they're just like they get by and it's
just I don't like it.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
I don't like it. Mark, believe me, I am with you.
I am beyond with you. Fascinating all right. I know.

Speaker 3 (32:23):
Also you're big NBA guy, yes, and so I want
to dive into this a little bit with you as
we continue to keep an eye on Ohio State and
Penn State with the Buck guys already down two scores,
but they've got the ball and they're on the move.
So we'll keep your eye on that and keep you
up to date. But I want you to ponder this question,
why are NBA ratings down? And I cannot wait to

(32:47):
get your answer, and we'll do that next with Carry Rhodes.
I'm Mark Ward. This is Fox Sports Radio. Okay, that's
Carry Rhoades. I'm Mark Willard in for the up on

your podcast, and you'll see today's show posted right after
we get off the air. Hot knife through butter touchdown.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
For Ohio State.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
So game on late first quarter, Penn State leading Ohio
State ten to seven, and we'll keep that watch party going.
But in the meantime, Carrie, there been some concerning numbers
with the start of the NBA season, and I know
people will go, well, hold on, the NBA season doesn't
really start till Christmas. And we also just went through

(33:42):
like if you could draw up the highest possible rated
World Series, it would be that, except for it would
be seven games of it instead of only five. But
that's the two biggest brands in the sport. They go
ahead to head college football, NFL, everything hot and heavy.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
I get it.

Speaker 3 (34:01):
At the same time, if I'm Adam Silver, I got
at least one of those two eyebrows up. Why why
do you think NBA numbers are where they are?

Speaker 4 (34:12):
Well, I think it's exactly what you just stated. I mean,
it's just so much to consume right now when it
comes to sports at the moment. I know they've I
know they've tried to move the season up a little bit,
which they've done right now to kind of combat that
a little bit. But it's going to be hard for
them to gain those those new eyeballs, those new viewers.
Why everything while all this is going on, especially like

(34:33):
you said, at the World Series being Yankees Dodgers, obviously
that had to be a lot of attension thrown that way.
And then also just NFL all the games, all these
those games played every day of the week now, so
it's hard to have any any off time with it
to actually concentrate on something else outside of the outside
of football, and so it's going to be hard for
them to get, you know, some new eyeballs. I mean,

(34:55):
it's just just a state of where we are right now.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
Well, by the way, and people don't no, you're a
Mavericks guy, yes, and I got to I got something
you and I need to talk out where I got something,
the connection obviously between the Warriors and the Mavericks right now,
and we need to have a little conversation. And if
it's public, I'm okay with it. So I will put
that aside for just two minutes. Though it's there's got

(35:21):
to be something actually with the game, not just what
they're competing with though, right, Like I do look at it,
and for example, I have concerns when you start to
see the arc of certain sports. When baseball really started
to dive into analytics, at first, people were like, ooh, okay,

(35:41):
this is smart. And then the next thing you knew,
all the infielders were huddled together in one spot and
you're like, what the hell, what is this? And and
so Baseball was like, nope, we're changing it. We're making
rules so that you have to look like a baseball
diamond because we're an entertainment outfit.

Speaker 6 (36:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
So okay, NBA, are we shooting too many threes?

Speaker 6 (36:07):
Yes, for sure? For sure, the whole I mean the
whole league.

Speaker 4 (36:11):
Now, I mean obviously your Warriors changed change the dynamic
of that. Meaning, you know, a team that shoots a
lot of three is can can win a championship. They
got it done right, And so you know, it's a
copycat league on every level. Right Whoever, whoever wins the
championship that year, we got to catch up to them
and do what they do at least at least be comparable.

(36:33):
And so I think that's where it went but everybody's
not Steph Curry and everybody's not Klay Thompson, right, so
you can't duplicate that. I guess the rate of which
they're making those shots league wide. So yes, I agree
with you. I think there is a level of analytics
where we got to shoot forty threes to compete is
a lot.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
Well, that's the problem. It is analytics. And this is
a great, great debate or issue going forward with all sports,
which is enter analytics. Fans go, I don't like them,
and then teams don't have the option to go all right,
let's de analytics.

Speaker 2 (37:13):
Our team will lose, will lose.

Speaker 3 (37:19):
So it's like you have to you have to join
the dark side because you can't compete if everyone else
is doing it smarter and in a better percentage way
than you are while you're over here going but we're entertaining.

Speaker 2 (37:34):
Because losing is not entertaining.

Speaker 3 (37:36):
And so you know, you mentioned the Golden State Warriors
as far as you know who kind of brought this
to the party, And yeah, to a degree, the idea
of being a jump shooting team being really good at it,
the Splash Brothers. But over the last few years the
Warriors have not been one of the leaders in terms
of attempts per game. They are second this year because

(37:59):
they I think when you know what, like we're losing
too much, Like they didn't go to the playoffs last year,
and so their second this year.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
But do you know who's first?

Speaker 6 (38:11):
Yeah, Boston, right, and it's not even close.

Speaker 3 (38:15):
So you're so you're reigning NBA champs averaging over fifty
one attempts per game and we have long passed the
time where there are more threes being attempted in a
game than twos.

Speaker 6 (38:29):
And yeah, yeah, so, and I.

Speaker 3 (38:33):
Don't mind it. I'm not like, oh, let's go back.
I'm just like, you gotta you've got to blend that
with watchability.

Speaker 6 (38:40):
Yeah, and I don't.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
I don't know how watchable that is.

Speaker 4 (38:44):
And you know what it's crazy about it, Mark, is
that that's just a regular season thing. Though if you
get to the once you get to the playoffs, it
seems like obviously you're going to take the best available
shot you're going to take. You're going to get to
the mid range, you're going to get to the you
know you're gonna take layups and gets it. I know,
the analytics says lay up free throw three point that's
what they're talking about.

Speaker 6 (39:04):
No mid range.

Speaker 7 (39:05):
But in the.

Speaker 4 (39:06):
Playoffs, teams that get in the mid range win, and
I want to know the percentage of that, because I
know the game slows down, it's a different grind, and
that's when it's this most competitive and it looks really
appealing to watch once playoffs come. So I don't know
if there's something you can do about the regular season,
because the regular season you have to win, and it
says and the way that basketball is now, you have

(39:27):
to make and take three pointers to win regular season games.
And so it's a hard conundrum.

Speaker 2 (39:35):
Speaking of a conundrum, carry.

Speaker 3 (39:41):
I'm letting you know because in ten days, the Mavericks
will visit the Golden State Warriors. Oh, I know, and
there will be a ton of love, yes, poured toward
Klay Thompson. In fact, the Warriors informed me they wouldn't
tell me what it was, but they say they they've
got the coolest idea for a returning player in the

(40:06):
history of sports. That's what they told me to say that, like, yes,
that this.

Speaker 6 (40:13):
Is not just a video, Come on, Mark, drop some more.

Speaker 7 (40:17):
What do you know?

Speaker 3 (40:18):
How However, Clay put out a post on social media
with a picture of him and Luka. Doncten wrote, my
new Splash brother and I'm simply here to tell you
that that ain't gonna land well here, really, really, really,

(40:42):
buddy Heal joined this team and they were like, let's
call them the splash Buddies, and half the people were
like the Splash Brothers.

Speaker 2 (40:49):
Is Stephen Clay stop it shutting your mouth.

Speaker 4 (40:54):
Oh so it's it's an animosity, bruin, you think, well,
within the fan base, I don't think that's.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
That's not the word. But like, just look, they've they've
won four they won four rings together.

Speaker 3 (41:07):
There are a lot of feelings, yes, lots and lots
and lots and lots of feelings. So I don't know,
I wondered how that one landed with you, you know
what the There's.

Speaker 4 (41:18):
Been a lot of little murmurs I've seen, like like
on social media and stuff like that about the relationship
of how it soured down the stretch. And I don't
think it's between you know, Clay and Steph but no,
definitely not, but there is some you know, there's there's
something there, and I don't think everything is being reported
on that, So I want to I want to dive
into that more with you, even if it's off the air,
because I want to know more about it.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
Yeah, No, we can.

Speaker 3 (41:39):
We can hit on that in the next hour a
little bit. I mean, you know, Clay Clay was very
very unhappy the last two years. Yeah, and I don't
know if it was directed at anything other than the clouds,
you know what I mean, Like, there were a lot
of different things.

Speaker 2 (41:52):
We'll get to that.

Speaker 3 (41:53):
We got to get to Aaron Rodgers as well after
that Thursday night performance, So we will do that coming
up next.

Speaker 2 (41:59):
And Ohio State is on the move again, and not
just on the move, they're moving in. They're in and
just like that, they've taken the lead.

Speaker 3 (42:07):
Carrie, extra point is about to be attempted, but right
now it's thirteen to ten.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
Go ahead and put that one on the board. It
is fourteen to ten for the buck Eyes.

Speaker 3 (42:18):
We're broadcasting live from the tier rack dot com studios.

Speaker 2 (42:22):
Ty rack dot com.

Speaker 3 (42:23):
We'll help you get there on unmatted selection, fast free shipping,
free road hazard protection in over ten thousand recommended installers
tier rack dot com. The Way tire buying should be
Mark Willard and Carrie Rhodes and carry. I always laugh
because there's nothing you could do about it. This is
the way we are. We are so reactive based on
a very very small sample. Mike, for instance, if you're

(42:46):
a fan of Penn State, you now want to fire
the coach ten minutes ago, You're.

Speaker 2 (42:52):
Like, we're the best day of their country. Yes, now
you want to find So that's how quickly we do this.

Speaker 3 (42:59):
And so I'm fascinated because you know on my Sunday
show with Ephrom he is no Aaron Rodgers fan. I
don't know where you stand on this, particularly because you
not just watching the Jets, you were a Jet, and
so I really wanted to dive into this with you
and get your take because what I've heard a lot
of people say, and I've agreed with this all year,

(43:22):
is that the New York Jets the mistake they made.
It's not that Aaron is horrible, He's not what he
used to be. It's not that he's horrible, But the
mistake the Jets made is they really really really gave
him the keys.

Speaker 2 (43:35):
Like they did.

Speaker 3 (43:36):
It's just like, Aaron, what do you want? You want
a different coach, you want all your former receivers on
the team. Let's get all your former receivers on the team.
And so they've given him everything and he's not good
enough for that anymore.

Speaker 2 (43:53):
But one half with three touchdown passes, Yes, seems seems
to have changed some people. Mind.

Speaker 4 (44:00):
What do you think, well, Mark, this is the thing, right,
Tom Brady when he went to Tampa Bay, right, he
wasn't the same Tom Brady. He came back and had
a really good year that first year, but the year
they had success as a team by changing things around,
they made they made it a more conscious effort of
running the ball. They you know, they didn't play action.

(44:22):
They did bring some some of Tom's targets down there
as well. So when you're that caliber of a quarterback,
they're gonna they're gonna do that for you. I think
where the Jets and the Buccaneers were different in what
they were doing was Tom went to an offensive minded
head coach. He went with Bruce arians right, so you

(44:43):
could trust him to put them in the best situation
and know that you're a play caller, your head coach.
I know he gave his play calling duties up to
Byron left Wish, but he's calling the plays right and
so getting them into those schemes, it was based around
a guy that knew what he was doing there. So
you have aar income there, and you have Hackett, which
didn't have that much that much success, they have a

(45:04):
defensive coach. There's a class there already, right of styles,
and so I think that's the number one thing to start, right.
The styles didn't fit and if you're going to bring
in an agent superstar quarterback, you got to build it
correctly and not give him all the you know, every
key to every car that runs the franchise.

Speaker 6 (45:22):
You cannot do that.

Speaker 4 (45:23):
You got to you gotta have some type of game
plan and stick to that. Where it seems like they
were trying to figure out game plans each and every
week of who they were going to be and what
their identity was. And so that's the main problem. Aaron
Rodgers isn't bad. If you look at his numbers, we're
comparing them to Aaron Rodgers, right, and that's fair because
that's who that's what we do. But look at his numbers,

(45:46):
they're not terrible. They should be better than what they
are right now, and just right now, they're just not
a good team.

Speaker 2 (45:52):
Yeah. I also think though like dive deep.

Speaker 3 (45:54):
Because it was Halloween night and so maybe a lot
of you were out and about with with the kids
or or who knows what was going on.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
It was kind of a hard game to follow play
by play.

Speaker 3 (46:04):
But if you watch that football game, I literally came
out of it with zero renewed optimism on the New
York Jets.

Speaker 2 (46:13):
None, none, because.

Speaker 3 (46:16):
It took them forever to get going against the Houston
Texans team that I've never seen so ripe. They were
so ripe for the taking. They had no Nico Collins,
they had no Stefan Diggs.

Speaker 2 (46:27):
CJ.

Speaker 3 (46:28):
Stroud took fifteen seconds to get up every time he
got hit. He's so hurt.

Speaker 2 (46:33):
They had absolutely nothing going.

Speaker 3 (46:35):
It's why the Jets at two and six were favored
against a six and two team like this one was
their game and it took them two hours to start
their engine. Like Aaron Rodgers first or second play from scrimmage,
play action fake, DeVante Adams is by himself down the
right sideline. It's by himself, and Aaron Rodgers threw the

(46:56):
ball ten yards over his head out of bounds, and
I'm like, and then let's get to the second half.
You're gonna get Aaron Rodgers does not deserve a touchdown
pass for what Garrett Wilson did.

Speaker 2 (47:08):
That.

Speaker 3 (47:08):
Like, no, Garrett Wilson gets a touchdown pass. That was
maybe the most insane catch I've ever seen in my life. Yeah,
and I still don't even know how athletically a shin
can hit the ground when the knee hasn't yet that's
a new one.

Speaker 2 (47:22):
But oh my god, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (47:25):
So, like he's he's You're right, he's not terrible, but Carrie,
he's also not very good.

Speaker 2 (47:33):
Great, No, he's not.

Speaker 4 (47:34):
Oh, I can't say that at all, absolutely not, But
I just you know what, man, the Jets is just
so frustrating because I know, coming into the season, everybody's
talking about, oh, they got ten all pros. They may
have the best the best collection of talent on any
roster in the league. And I'm like, okay, that's that
could be a fact before the season. But none of

(47:55):
those guys have played well, none of them. So we
want to say Aaron because he is the most polarizing
figure on that team. Obviously he's gonna get all the blame,
and he should get some of the blame. Not taking
anything away from that and a lot of it. But
on that defense, I'm more upset about the way the
defense plays this year than any other aspect of that team.

Speaker 2 (48:17):
I hear you, what's going on with Sauce Gardner.

Speaker 6 (48:19):
He is bad right now. I don't know what's going on.
It looks like it's technique, for sure.

Speaker 4 (48:24):
I can I mean, I can break it down and
say when I look at him and play, he doesn't
play with good technique. If he doesn't win at the
line with the long arms and he's not pressing and getting,
you know, being able to be a little physical and
have a couple of grabs here and there, that's how
he plays. He's a handsy guy and they're calling him
for it right now. So I think in his mind
he's thrown off of his game a little bit because

(48:46):
he knows if he's a little handsy, they're gonna call it.
And that's what I see happening. And he's just not
a guy that mixes it up in there either. So
I think if he's not making the plays or locking
down number one receivers and standing out that way, he's
going to look average. And so I think that's where
we are with him right now, well, I.

Speaker 3 (49:04):
Think we can go to every aspect of that entire
organization and ask questions here and there, like you want
to put it on the defense. We can talk about
Aaron Rodgers. We can go to coaching. They fired a coach,
They've got an interim coach who I don't think is
probably really destined.

Speaker 2 (49:20):
To be a coach in this league.

Speaker 3 (49:21):
We can go to ownership about how about Bryce Hall,
who I think is one of the phenomenal young offensive players.

Speaker 2 (49:29):
In this league. Give him the ball? What is like
they went through this whole period where it's some combination
of they're also kind.

Speaker 3 (49:39):
Of wooed by this rookie Braylan Alan combined with well,
it's Aaron's team, and so let's throw. And then we
acquired DeVante Adams, so again, let's throw. We've got fancy
receivers on this team. My god, Brice Hall, give him

(49:59):
the I I don't under now, I do not understand.

Speaker 6 (50:04):
All right, hold on, Mark, you got Breee on your
on your fantasy team.

Speaker 2 (50:07):
Well, I have so many fantasy teams that I have everybody.

Speaker 6 (50:10):
Oh okay, okay, okay.

Speaker 3 (50:11):
So like that's it's not that, it's not that okay,
like I do have him on the A team, but
it's not like, no, that's the I just I don't
understand it. Like there are games he went like a
three week stretch where he's getting about ten touches a game.

Speaker 2 (50:24):
I know, No, I know.

Speaker 4 (50:26):
When I look at Brice, it was it was weird
because I'm with you. I think he is one of
the best backs.

Speaker 6 (50:32):
I thought.

Speaker 4 (50:32):
I thought he was gonna be one of the best
backs coming into this league this season, and so he
was going to be fresh, he was going to be
injury free, and I was expecting the big year from him.
Watching a few of the games here and there, it
looked like he wasn't as explosive.

Speaker 6 (50:47):
Now I don't know.

Speaker 4 (50:47):
If I don't know, I think as the game goes on,
like you said, if he got twenty touches, would that
be different. It seems like he's trying to have that
home run, And I think this is what it is
when I'm talking now, he knows his touches are going
to be limited, and so he's trying to break that
home run one instead of getting in there and getting

(51:08):
four or getting three this carry then getting ten next carry.
Like it seems like he's trying to get that home run,
So you might be right as far as him not
getting enough touches to actually get a rhythm going.

Speaker 2 (51:19):
Yeah, the whole thing is a head scratcher.

Speaker 3 (51:21):
Plus when you look at the AFC, you know, again
it's wonderful that the Jets finally got going there and
vaulted all the way up to second place at three
and six.

Speaker 2 (51:32):
But I'm looking around that AFC.

Speaker 3 (51:36):
You get seven, right, and the Steelers are now they've
put themselves in a position where they are going to
be a playoff team. We know Baltimore's a playoff team,
we know Buffalo's a playoff team. We know that the
Texans are a playoff team, and the Chiefs are a
playoff team. So there's five of your seven right there.
And then you've already the Broncos have found the way
to somehow be five and three. I don't get that,

(51:56):
but okay, that's what the numbers say. And then you're
dealing with all the other teams that are sitting there
ahead of you, from the Colts to the Chargers to
the Bengals.

Speaker 2 (52:08):
I still think the.

Speaker 3 (52:09):
Jets have a very very long uphill climb to see
if they can actually make this thing work.

Speaker 4 (52:16):
I do too, but I and it's funny because last
week I was like, they're done, just like everybody else.
And then they win this game and I'm like, Okay,
they got the Cardinals, they got the Colts, they got
the Seahawks.

Speaker 6 (52:30):
I'm like, they can win all these games.

Speaker 4 (52:32):
And I'm like, really, carry like I'm talking to myself
like this having this conversation, but I've actually have a
little more renewed confidence and that they can get one
of those last two spots by looking at just hearing
the teams that you named.

Speaker 6 (52:46):
You just named, like, none of those teams I fear
for them. I think they could beat them.

Speaker 4 (52:52):
So I don't know, man, this may have been the
worst win for the Jets, for the Jet fan base,
because it does give them hope.

Speaker 2 (52:59):
It's gonna give them a home. Yeah, And I'm like,
don't forget.

Speaker 3 (53:03):
Don't forget when you when you got back from trig
or training, if you've got kids under the age of ten.
The Jets still hadn't scored, Like it was halftime and
they and they had zero points. So you know, the
second half went great. The second half went great, And
I do look at the remaining schedule, and it's not

(53:24):
that daunting. They do still have to go to Buffalo.
I'm fascinated to see what they do at Arizona next
week in the Kerry Rhodes Bowl.

Speaker 2 (53:35):
What who are you rooting for in that game?

Speaker 6 (53:38):
Oh no, I'm I'm I'm neutral. Mark, I'd be neutral
in that one.

Speaker 3 (53:43):
All right, text me for because because that's okay to
make sure that we were all the same things there,
all right. So lots more to get to, including I
do let's have a Klay Thompson conversation if you want to.

Speaker 2 (54:04):
Have one, please, let's absolutely do that.

Speaker 3 (54:07):
A lot of stuff coming down in Major League Baseball

opt outs, and I think there's a baseball conversation to
be had, So we will do that coming up, all

it and do it all right, Carrie, it sounded like
it sounded like when I brought up Klay Thompson that
maybe you had some questions.

Speaker 4 (56:49):
Yeah, I just seems like the fit has been singles
with Dallas. Obviously, he fits there, he fits a need
for them. They have a lot of a ton of
respect for him obviously for what he've done, what he's
done in his career. So I think that transition has
been smooth. He's actually shot the ball really well as well,
and so it's it's been positive on our side. But

(57:09):
I've seen I've seen comments on social media. I've seen
clips of there's a clip of Steph Steph saying something
after the game where.

Speaker 6 (57:18):
It's like, you know, it's it's all good vibes here
right now, and so you.

Speaker 2 (57:22):
Say you have a beautiful lock.

Speaker 6 (57:23):
Yeah, so you hear all those things.

Speaker 4 (57:25):
So I was trying to see if there was a little,
a little thing, a little sniff of animosity or something
that I don't know about or US common fans don't
know about.

Speaker 2 (57:36):
It's not animosity. That's definitely not the word.

Speaker 3 (57:39):
And I don't think, like I I there's nothing specifically
from the players themselves, like individually, I think those relationships.

Speaker 2 (57:49):
Are are just fine.

Speaker 3 (57:51):
I'm not going to act like I know exactly what
what they text one another or whatever. But I think
that the respect and the the love for Klay Thompson
for what he achieved within the Golden State Warriors organization
is unbreakable and that's never going to go anywhere.

Speaker 2 (58:07):
I'll say this, it's.

Speaker 3 (58:08):
Going to be hard for that team all year long
to speak publicly about what's going on in their locker
room now and not have it sound like they're taking
shots at Clay. I don't think they're taking shots at Clay,
but they've achieved something that's a little bit and it's
early so this could change, but they just have a

(58:29):
sort of a chemistry bond with one another, like Steve
Kurrent has started off the year with a twelve man
rotation that doesn't exist, but it does, and they have
effectively been able to put together a group of people
that are literally like, look whatever, Steph Draymond and Steve Kersay,

(58:50):
that's what we do because they're good at this and
we're role players.

Speaker 2 (58:54):
Period.

Speaker 3 (58:55):
If I play five minutes tonight, cool, If I play
thirty five cool. They've achieved that, at least so far,
and so when they're gonna speak to that it's going
to sound like they're taking shots at Clay and I
don't think there's any of that. But here's what I
do think. I look at Klay Thompson and watch him play.
What does he played five games in Dallas? I watch

(59:16):
him play five games in Dallas. And it's a lesson
that we learn over and over that I want to
remind myself of, which is that when players hell take
Sauce Gardner for example, Yes, when players who are talented
are not playing well, think to yourself, they're not a choker,
They're not a dog.

Speaker 2 (59:37):
Like maybe there's something going on. Yes, they're human, there's
something going on, and we don't get to know what
that was.

Speaker 3 (59:44):
Andrew Wiggins, for the last two years in and out
of the Warriors lineup, he disappears.

Speaker 2 (59:48):
Nobody knows where he's going. They know where he's going,
but we don't know.

Speaker 3 (59:51):
And we're just told it's a situation and that's it.
And that is hard for fans to figure out. Well,
Wiggins has only played three games.

Speaker 2 (01:00:00):
This year, but it looks fantastic and they and they said.

Speaker 3 (01:00:03):
He was gonna Look They're like, wait, do you see Wiggs, Wiggs, Wiggs, whatever,
he was dealing with is over now, and Clay Thompson
was the same thing for the last two years coming
out of injury. It's kind of like the Aaron Rodgers
conversation we just had. You mentioned Aaron being compared to
his former self, so it was Clay and I did.

Speaker 2 (01:00:24):
I did sort of.

Speaker 3 (01:00:25):
I didn't predict that he was gonna end up in
Dallas and Hunky Dory and all that, but I was like,
I do think that whatever his next fan base is
going to be, they'll love him because that fan base
doesn't have the memory of who he used to be.
They're just going to be like, oh, here's Clay and

(01:00:48):
it's a fresh start. The Warrior fan base. And actually
Clay at the front of the line, constantly comparing himself
to his former self, frustrated by the fact that things
weren't going the way they used to be. And what
Clay did not do a good job of is he
did not sort of like just keep that to himself.
I do think he made the locker room an uncomfortable

(01:01:09):
place sometimes.

Speaker 6 (01:01:11):
Yeah, no, it's it's hard.

Speaker 4 (01:01:12):
I mean, when you are the guy, or you know,
close to the guy, the one b option there is
a standard of excellence that you've created and created for
yourself but also created for your team and so and
then you start seeing those ancillary pieces around you get
their security no matter what, fighting in the streets, getting ejected,

(01:01:38):
being hurt themselves in steph and for a portion of
his career and so like they've been taken care of.
And then so when it's my time, there's a question
mark around. And so I understand that whole theory for
him and how he felt, But I think I think
he could have done a better job at myself. I
think I think so as well of being able to
I guess keep that out of the locker room. And

(01:01:58):
I understand that for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:01:59):
Well, and I'll give you an example that's tied to money.
What's this figure this out for me.

Speaker 3 (01:02:05):
Beginning of the year, someone offers you two years and
forty eight million dollars. Now, you make forty three per year. Now,
but at the beginning of the year, you know you're
about to be a free agent. Someone offers you two years,
forty eight million dollars twenty four per year.

Speaker 2 (01:02:22):
You're offended. You are hurt to the core.

Speaker 3 (01:02:29):
Okay, a year later, a different team offers you three
years for fifty million dollars significantly less, and you're like, wow, thanks,
fresh start.

Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
You see the difference.

Speaker 3 (01:02:47):
Only the Warriors could have offended Clay with that contract
because that whole group is living in what happened eight
years ago, and so it just made for an untenable situation.

Speaker 6 (01:03:04):
Yeah, no, it was gonna it was. It was going
to be. I mean, somebody was going to be gone
from that corps. Obviously Clay.

Speaker 4 (01:03:10):
Clay was the odd man out in this situation, and
it wasn't by you know, being pushed out.

Speaker 6 (01:03:15):
It was his decision. He could have came back, I'm guessing.

Speaker 4 (01:03:17):
So uh, he went and went to a team that
he thought could win, he could win at and help
and get them over to Hump And I think, you know,
having a new start, fresh start, a new journey for
him was probably inevitable.

Speaker 6 (01:03:29):
So that's what we are now.

Speaker 3 (01:03:32):
Ten days from now, he'll be in the barrier at
Chase Center. It'll be an emotional night, no doubt. I
don't think there's a damn thing he could do to
not have this fan base on his side. But going
back to the social media post where he took a
picture of Luca and He's like, look.

Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
My my new splash brother.

Speaker 3 (01:03:48):
I'll just remind this is for any anybody, any player
or whatever, Like fans are not rational, They're not supposed
to be rational, and so something like that that can
seem innocent can sometimes land with fans as a big deal,
like that's their thing, that's the Warrior fans thing. And
so I would just if I were sitting with Clay

(01:04:10):
in a room having a beer, I'd be like, dude,
just just pitch it a different way, like, maybe come
up with it if you want to come up with
a new nickname for the two of you or whatever.
It's kind of like when the Chiefs played the Niners
in the Super Bowl five years ago, Joe Montana put
a post on social media of him in both jerseys

(01:04:32):
and when I can't lose.

Speaker 6 (01:04:34):
Today, I'm doing that. I'm doing that next week. Mar
That's different though.

Speaker 2 (01:04:40):
The Nighter fan base was like, what, you're just equal
parts Chief and Niner?

Speaker 3 (01:04:48):
No, right, So like we're dumb, we're fans, we're emotional,
but like, I don't know if I'm making bajillions of dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:04:57):
Off of that fan love and interest. I try to
take care.

Speaker 6 (01:05:00):
That's all yeah, no, I agree with that.

Speaker 4 (01:05:02):
I mean I was a big proponent and you know,
you know, being there for the fans and doing the
extra stuff for the fans because it is it is
a privilege for them to be there and to show
to show up for you. And I understand that for sure,
and especially the way that you know the Golden State
fan base has been invested in that team.

Speaker 6 (01:05:18):
It's I agree with you.

Speaker 4 (01:05:20):
Just let that, let that eraror ride out, and like
you said, make it, make it something else, start something new.

Speaker 3 (01:05:25):
An interesting night in ten days, no doubt about it.
We're big fans of Isaac Lohan, kron and uh and
here he is. Everybody with what's trending.

Speaker 9 (01:05:34):
Likewise, fellas, and let's start with a big college football
game of the moment in number four Ohio State holding
a fourteen to ten lead at third rank Penn State
two forty three and counting for the first half, Penn
State jumped out to a ten to nothing lead on
a field goal and a thirty one yard pick six
by Zion Tracy off of Buckeye quarterback Will Howard. But
Howard has since responded with two touchdown passes, including this one.

Speaker 12 (01:05:57):
Will Howard or the staff fakes a pitch to Henderson,
looks at costs his left side where it's caught in.

Speaker 6 (01:06:01):
The receiver goes chugging down the field, and US send
too the m zone for a touchdown.

Speaker 3 (01:06:05):
Brandon Innis on a twenty one yard touchdown pass play.

Speaker 9 (01:06:08):
Paul keels the call on WBNS and Nindi. Lion fans
not feeling optimistic right now, According to a scan of
the Penn State message boards courtesy of the popular social
media account message board Geniuses, PSU alum thirteen, commenting a
short time ago, quote game over. Just go do something

(01:06:30):
else folks this afternoon.

Speaker 1 (01:06:32):
Then we've got.

Speaker 9 (01:06:33):
DMV Lion zero zero commenting quote grass cutting time. This
is over and last, but not least. It's Rojas and
Keys chipping in. Quote glad I chose not to attend
this noon. Turd unquotes man again those comments courtesy of

(01:06:58):
seventeen lead at fifth ranked My Miami with one forty
seven left to play in the second quarter, Malik Murphy
a nine yard touchdown pass to Peyton Jones with a
point after touchdown pending number nineteen. Ole miss has opened
up a twenty eight to ten lead at Arkansas with
one thirty seven left in the second quarter. Baseball ESPN
reported today Yankees ace Garrett Cole has opted out of

(01:07:20):
his contract. Yankees, however, convoid the opt out by adding
one year and thirty six million dollars to the four
years remaining on his deal. Yankees today also declined Anthony
Rizzo's seventeen million dollar option for next season, making a
free agent finally. In the NFL, New England's Patriots quarterback
Drake May has cleared concussion protocols. So we will start

(01:07:41):
on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, Mark and carry back
to you, Hallo.

Speaker 2 (01:07:46):
I will pass this along as well.

Speaker 3 (01:07:48):
On that Garrett Cole story that we've been following and
you've been telling us about all morning, Jim Bowden is
reporting that the Yankees are indeed expected to add that
extra year Garrett Cole right back off of the free
agent market.

Speaker 6 (01:08:03):
So that didn't take long, right, It would be the
smart thing to do. I know it's other guys out there,
like you said with Blake, but you got somebody home grown,
I mean obviously not homegrown, but been in the mix.
For a while now and it feels like home. So
I take that guy for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:08:19):
So Garrett Cole was a free agent for like.

Speaker 6 (01:08:23):
Like an hourtes.

Speaker 2 (01:08:26):
Ilo broke in like just over an hour ago, Like
Garrett call is a free agent.

Speaker 13 (01:08:31):
Can I can I ask carry a question real quick
about that contract? Do you think with that additional year
they'll teach Garrett Cole how to cover first base?

Speaker 6 (01:08:38):
Don't you? Why would you do that? Right now? Sorry? Both,
I'm saying it's still sour. I am, I am scarred. Sorry,
get to first base.

Speaker 11 (01:08:47):
Garrettson, he's still got he's still got like the glitter
and everything from the parade and the that he went
to yesterday on his face.

Speaker 6 (01:08:55):
I mean, it's crazy if you don't won't even wash
it off before he's like back hitting Chris ip he
gets the base, they closed up that would run run,
They win that game. What was that first word you use?

Speaker 11 (01:09:10):
Listen, I I I'm glad not to have another twenty
four hours of Austin Toppo Bianco, Thank you very much.

Speaker 6 (01:09:15):
Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (01:09:16):
They they also just would have lost in six instead.
Come on, Mark, they're not coming back from down three
to zero.

Speaker 3 (01:09:22):
I had that thing ended as soon as Freddy Freeman
made contact in game one, that was their game.

Speaker 2 (01:09:30):
The Yankees had that game, they needed that game. As
soon as they lost that game, that thing was cooked.

Speaker 4 (01:09:35):
Man, you're bringing Nestor in the tenth and who haven't
pitched in Okay, I'm okay, I'm done over in nasty
Nestor in the tenth.

Speaker 6 (01:09:47):
I'm like, what are you doing?

Speaker 2 (01:09:48):
Boom oh man?

Speaker 3 (01:09:49):
Anyway, nothing, nothing will mess with a manager's ability to
make the right bullpen picks. Then going to the playoffs
and losing, it's it's incredible. But all right, Mark Wheler
to Kerry Rhodes. But how about if we get to
a little up on game and down on game.

Speaker 6 (01:10:13):
Time for some picks.

Speaker 1 (01:10:14):
Are you up on game?

Speaker 2 (01:10:16):
Let's break this up.

Speaker 1 (01:10:16):
Let's break it up, down on game.

Speaker 13 (01:10:20):
That's right, it is up on game, down on game,
your favorite segment of the week. We are going to
go through the games here, all of these odds courtesy
of our friends over at DraftKings. I got four selected
here for Carrie and Mark because we're down in Man,
so we'll have some fun here. First game here, the
Denver Broncos head to Baltimore to take on the Ravens.
The Ravens a nine point home favorite in this one.

(01:10:42):
The point total currently said it forty six and a half.
So mark who you got and going over under on
the points there you.

Speaker 2 (01:10:50):
Said forty six and a half. Yeah, I'm gonna go.

Speaker 3 (01:10:52):
I'm gonna go Ravens and over in this one. To me,
the number, the number is huge, and so coming off
of a loss, I feel like that number is begging
people to be like, yeah, see the Ravens aren't that good.
The Ravens are that good, and I think they'll respond.
And then we also know their offense is great and
their defense is not, so that's really good for overs.

Speaker 6 (01:11:15):
There you go, I'm gonna take I'm gonna take the
over as well. But I'm gonna take Denver with the
points here and only because of what I've seen from
the Ravens defense. I know Baltimore is gonna come out
angry and score some points, but I think Denver will
score a few points of their own to keep this
game relatively close. They'll probably score one late, all right.

Speaker 13 (01:11:36):
Next up here, we have a big divisional game tomorrow,
the Detroit Lions heading to Green Bay to take on
the Packers. The Lions are three point road favorite in
this one, and the total currently said it forty eight.

Speaker 6 (01:11:45):
And a half. So carry what you got here. I
got the Lions to cover on the road and at
Lambeau Field, which is fun to say. Got the Lions,
and I got the over in this one as well.

Speaker 2 (01:11:57):
Okay, I'm gonna take the exact office.

Speaker 3 (01:12:00):
Oh yeah, the Lions are now down too defenders Aiden
Hutchinson obviously for a little while now, and so you know,
I just think this is going.

Speaker 2 (01:12:09):
To catch up to them at some point.

Speaker 3 (01:12:11):
Also, the Lions look at their schedule. They play almost
exclusively this year indoors. Yeah, like half more than half
the road games almost exclusively indoors. Not now, it's November,
it's Lambeau Jordan Love is healthy. I think the defenses
are going to do enough in that sort of a
scenario to play the under.

Speaker 2 (01:12:31):
I like the Packers and the under. Ooh nice?

Speaker 6 (01:12:34):
All right?

Speaker 13 (01:12:35):
Next up here, staying kind of in the NFC North,
the Indianapolis Colts headed to Minnesota to take on the Vikings.
Vikings reeling a little bit so a chance to get
right against Joe Flacco, so who knows about that one?
Vikings a five point favorite in this one. The total
currently said at forty six and a half. Mark what
you got here.

Speaker 3 (01:12:52):
I like the Vikings, but I like the under. I
think that Brian Flores's defense is phenomenalists at home. I
think the Vikings are the more rested team coming off
of Thursday night football.

Speaker 2 (01:13:04):
They've lost to in a row. They need this one.

Speaker 3 (01:13:06):
I know there's a little bump because it's Flacco and
not Anthony Richardson, and you know Flacco's better, so there's that.
But I think this is just a perfect spot for
the Vikings to do kind of a twenty seven to
ten type of the Viager.

Speaker 4 (01:13:19):
Ooh, that's that's dominating. I think the Colts is one
of those teams that, again, they're they're they're mediocre, they're
four and four, they're right at the right at that
line all ways, and you never know what team is
going to show up.

Speaker 6 (01:13:32):
With Blaco, they're going to score some points. So I'm
going to say I'm going to take the Colts to
the Colts to cover. But I got the Vikings winning
and I think it'll be over as well.

Speaker 13 (01:13:42):
Yeah, I don't think you have to worry about Flacco
taking himself no, no, all right, last one here and
again reminder these odds all Curtiser are friends. Over at DraftKings,
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head to Kansas City to take
on the undefeated Chiefs. Chiefs a nine point favorite in
this one. The total currently at forty five and a half,
So carry what are you going here?

Speaker 4 (01:14:02):
I got the Buccaneers to cover and I have the under,
and that one very simple, very simple. I think the
Chiefs play to their competition, so that's kind of what
I'm playing into here.

Speaker 3 (01:14:14):
I at the risk of going against my own I'm
going to take the Bucks. Also, that number is way
too big, which tells me there's a reason for it.
The Bucks have no receivers and they're going against the
best defense in football.

Speaker 2 (01:14:29):
So I'm going to start by just taking the under.
That's the one that I like.

Speaker 3 (01:14:33):
I take the under, and I'll say that there's a
back door kind of a cover on this one where
the Bucks lose, like twenty to fourteen or something like that.

Speaker 2 (01:14:43):
So I'll take the Bucks in the under.

Speaker 6 (01:14:45):
Perfect nuts up on game down, on game there.

Speaker 11 (01:14:47):
It is.

Speaker 3 (01:14:47):
Well, hopefully if you do put together your parlay this weekend.
First of all, I hope you win it, because isn't
it always.

Speaker 2 (01:14:54):
Just like one leg? It's one leg all being the
damn thing. Why is it always one leg?

Speaker 3 (01:15:00):
You got the winning parlay going all to lose it
all on that lousy last leg and it's brutal.

Speaker 2 (01:15:05):
Well not anymore.

Speaker 3 (01:15:06):
Check this out because DraftKings Sportsbook has your back with
progressive parlays.

Speaker 2 (01:15:11):
It's okay if you lose a leg because you still
get paid.

Speaker 3 (01:15:15):
So even if you're forsaken by the football gods and
you take the l you can still walk away at winter.
So try an NFL progressive parlay today where you can
lose a leg and still get paid. DraftKings we get you.
So we got that. The crown is yours.

All right, well, Kerry Rhodes, Mark Willard, glad you're with
us here in for the guys up on game Fox
Sports Radio. Understand, don't take offense if I name your
team and they happened to win games this year, because
when these teams win games, it's fleeting. I'm talking Major

(01:16:31):
League Baseball, and I think Tampa Bay pretty much the
entire American League Central, the Mariners definitely, the A's, the Angels,
the Nationals, the Marlins, ah, the National League Central's funny, the.

Speaker 2 (01:16:55):
Reds and Pirates for sure, and usually the Brewers even
though they were.

Speaker 3 (01:17:02):
A first place club, and then in the West, the
Rockies and the Diamondbacks I just named.

Speaker 2 (01:17:11):
I think at least half.

Speaker 3 (01:17:13):
The league and Major League Baseball has sort of become
a steroid version of the Harlem Globetrotters. Most people won't
even know who the Harlem Globetrotters play. For years they
played the Washington Generals, And what was the function of
the Washington Generals. The Generals were simply there so that

(01:17:36):
the Globetrotters had someone to play. They weren't there to win,
they weren't there to matter, They weren't there for any
of their players to sign autographs. They just were a
set of uniforms handed out to people so that there
were people on the court, while the other teams actually
were the ones who were here to play. I don't

(01:17:58):
understand how baseball continues to sort of get away with this.
And this is, by the way, this is not some
sort of Dodgers checkbook championship sour grapes thing.

Speaker 2 (01:18:08):
It's not.

Speaker 3 (01:18:09):
The Dodgers and the Yankees are our organizations that should
be propped up for the way they go after things.
I don't understand why owners, certain owners in baseball are
allowed to kind of not do that when you have
the structures available like we have in the NFL and
even a softcap league like the NBA. I don't understand

(01:18:35):
where baseball thinks this is going to continue to have
half of its teams simply just be handing out uniforms
to people so that someone can pitch to one Soto.

Speaker 4 (01:18:49):
Right right, that's funny. Yes, I would say, yes, as
a league as MLB, that is a problem. But I
would also say for most fan bases, if you're a
die hard fan of that club, I'm sure whoever, whoever
they dump out outside of Oakland because we know they're

(01:19:10):
leaving because the fan base isn't there enough to appreciate
the value of that organization or whatever. However that works out, right,
But for the most part, if you go to the
Midwest and you or to the to the mid East
and you go to Milwaukee to the Brewers or whatever, right,
they're gonna have people come into that stadium to watch
the Brewers. They're actually a good product. They win usually,

(01:19:32):
and they're usually in the mix, even though they're not
relative on the grand scale of things like, that team
is still there. When you talk about the Diamondbacks, right,
there are so many fan bases there because of spring
ball that there's always going to be a little bit
of a I guess an energy towards that ball club
as well. But yeah, for the most part, some of
those teams are just kind of kind of meandering around.

Speaker 6 (01:19:53):
Huh.

Speaker 2 (01:19:55):
It's funny. Yeah, you you bring up those people, they'll
always be there.

Speaker 3 (01:19:59):
Yeah, I don't some people I'm kind of talking about
why should they be Like, Okay, for example, the Brewers
have a handful of free agents, some of them big
name Willia Domas leads the way and like, he's gone,
he's gone.

Speaker 4 (01:20:16):
So you think they're like farm so more than globes.
I was like, almost like a farm team type of situation.

Speaker 3 (01:20:22):
You know, Sodo becomes a free agent, and everyone's like,
is there any chance that someone could prime from the Yankees?

Speaker 2 (01:20:28):
A Damas becomes a free agent. Nobody even brings up
the idea of the Brewers keeping them. It's not an option.
He's gone.

Speaker 3 (01:20:37):
If you're good and you get to that spot with
one of those teams I just mentioned, you're gone, you're gone. Like,
I'm so sorry to do this to like because no
fan base deserves this. But for example, if I if
I brought up right now, Paul Scheme, how long you

(01:21:02):
think you're gonna get him Pittsburgh.

Speaker 6 (01:21:05):
Leave Pittsburgh alone, Mark, No, no, no, come on.

Speaker 2 (01:21:09):
Let's be real.

Speaker 3 (01:21:10):
How long do you think you get to do this
only because of this super odd arbitration system that's totally
anti American. By the way, Oh, that's the only reason
you're going to have him under control for a period
of time. But as soon as he's got the juice gone,

(01:21:30):
I know, gone, that dude's a Yankee. That dude is
a Yankee in twenty twenty nine or whatever, book it,
and that's terrible.

Speaker 2 (01:21:41):
It's terrible. Guided with the White Sox.

Speaker 6 (01:21:46):
I welcome it, Mark, Bring him on to the yank
bring him to the Yankee, to the Yankees.

Speaker 2 (01:21:51):
Sorry, sorry, he's a Dodger.

Speaker 6 (01:21:53):
No, don't do that to me.

Speaker 2 (01:21:54):
It's done. Yeah, no, No, I like, it's just I think, yeah,
it's it's tough. It's tough. This this World Series rated
really well.

Speaker 3 (01:22:06):
These are the two biggest brands, right, No, nobody's against
that kind of stuff happening in sports.

Speaker 2 (01:22:12):
But uh yeah, there's just there's too many people being
left out for me.

Speaker 6 (01:22:16):
Got it? Yeah, No, I understand.

Speaker 3 (01:22:17):
I know.

Speaker 4 (01:22:17):
You're the big baseball guy too, and I know it
really you really enjoy that game and I do too.
It's it's one of those things where I hope they
can figure something out as well, because during the regular season,
I'm just not as locked in as I used to
be with it. And I'm sure it's a product of
what you're saying right now. But at the end of
the day, man, I guess at the end, when you
get the World World Series that we just got, then

(01:22:39):
I think it kind of covers up for for that
that that long season.

Speaker 3 (01:22:45):
We got one minute, give me the give me the
NFL game. You're looking forward to the most of them all.

Speaker 4 (01:22:50):
Oh, tomorrow, the one that I'm looking for. I'm looking
for that that Lions, that Lions Packers game. Yeah, Love,
Love has been a little inconsistent with the turnovers. I
want to see if he can stay away from that,
because when he does, they're really good and I want
to see them at their best against alliance.

Speaker 3 (01:23:06):
That entire division is sitting up over five hundred. Yeah,
that entire division. Now, the Bears have not won a
road game yet, so we'll see if they're able to
to stay over five hundred because they're again at one
of your former teams tomorrow, they'll be at They'll be
at Arizona. But anyway, looking forward to a really good

(01:23:26):
day there and eat from Salam and I'll have your
back after most of the games are over tomorrow night
at five Pacific.

Speaker 2 (01:23:34):
Great to talk to you today.

Speaker 6 (01:23:36):
My friend, Always Mark, appreciate your brother.
