Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Let's go, stinking yes, go, big boy, let's go, Let's go.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
That was your weekend? How was your football weekend? Good?

Speaker 2 (00:11):
I was worried about you for about three or four minutes,
But other than that, it was a good weekend.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Very Why with all the storms and the tornado warnings?

Speaker 4 (00:19):
Well that too, yes, that too.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Also what Maine took a seven to nothing week against Oklahoma.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Yeah, you would deal with one.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Oh, people were like, can I fill it for Blake
on Sunday? I'm like, we may have to get him
fill it this time around.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
We may.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Yeah, they would have lost to Maine.

Speaker 5 (00:34):
That would have happened that they proceeded to put fifty
nine on the board.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Yes, my heart, though is it necessarily with that?

Speaker 5 (00:43):
Just a note because we do have a lot of
listeners in the Bible Belt and then the super State
and I don't know if you can tell there's thunderstorms
bruin behind me while I do this show. Tonight, we
had tornadoes roll through God's Country last night and they
left a pass that uh for November.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Just shocking.

Speaker 5 (01:03):
So thoughts with those tonight that have been infected by
the tornadoes through Oklahoma. I think even into in Arkansas.
So it's a it was dude, tornadoes in November and
you and it's like twenty degrees in Burlington right now?

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Uh no, No, who said that it's a lot warmer
than that, or it's gonna be like seventy degrees tomorrow.

Speaker 5 (01:25):
I looked up at weather dot com because someone said
if you're in Vermont, I feel bad for you tonight,
and so I looked up Burlington, Vermont and it said
it was dropping down to twenty six.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
It says twenty nine degrees in Burlington, Vermont right now.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Well, maybe late at night or something, but no, it's
late at night right now.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Dude.

Speaker 6 (01:40):
What wow?

Speaker 4 (01:43):
Very good, heavy, very great.

Speaker 5 (01:44):
Well, I'm sitting here like it's like twenty degrees now,
it's like seventy out I'm like, it says it's twenty
nine out right now. And you say late at night
and it's approximately eleven o'clock.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
Well, I'm in a cozy studio. I don't know what's
going on late at night.

Speaker 5 (01:55):
I love that as we come to you live from
the Tyraq dot com studios. Iraq dot com will help
you get there and unmatched selection, fast, free shipping free
road hazard protection in over ten thousand recommended installers. Tirack
dot commway tire buying should be. How gross is this
Sunday night football game right now?

Speaker 4 (02:11):
Very It's horrible.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
I'm like, isn't there something else I could be watching? Whatever?
Though my college Troops starts off Monday. What happened to
the list of some great NBA game? Usually we have
like a couple of NBA games on this late at night.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
It's very This game's killing me.

Speaker 5 (02:28):
The crazy thing about the NBA is you're not incorrect, right,
There's usually some early season games that we have our
eyes on, but don't I don't know if the NBA
is pacing itself or if everyone has started to realize
that the first month of the season doesn't really matter.
But you know, not to take any of the shine
away from what's going to be three hours of NonStop

(02:48):
football talk. I'm gonna state where a team has started undefeated,
and I feel like it's the least amount of talk
outside of Ronnie James Arnie on the start of the
NBA season that I can ever remember where we're grinching
about Bronnie James, who has suddenly been turned into like Rudy,
he's the last guy on the bench who they want
to come in the game. And we're grinching about whether
or not Joel Embiid it should be playing. We're not

(03:10):
even talking about anything on the court yet.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Yeah, you know, I'm wondering if if it's time for
the NBA to make a major move like the NFL
did to increase scoring, or like Baseball's done with the
with the pitch clock or something like that.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
It's getting to that point, you know.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
I read I saw that Joe Missoula came up with
a couple of ideas, a couple I would be totally
against them, to be honest with you.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
So he came up with some ideas how.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
To bring back fighting.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Well that was one of them. Yes, that was also
on the fouls instead of shooting foul shots, you do
like five on four for like thirty seconds or yeah,
power play not bad.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
I mean, you gotta do something because they're they're losing viewership.
It seems like they and they had a great opening day,
but after that they I've read.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
Where ratings weren't that weren't doing so hot.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
So I love the NBA. I love I've watched one game.
How about you, I've watched like three. I watched the
Nick games, you know, so I'm tuning into that. I
saw the opener against Boston.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Sure, yeah, you know.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
I try to catch as many Nick games as I can.
But you're right. I Other than that, I'm not getting
too much into it.

Speaker 5 (04:19):
Well, this is what happens when you have a Sunday
night football game like this was this game flexed to
Sunday night too. I'm not sure twenty one to ten,
there's two minutes left in the game. It was Ryan
Berschinger in tonight for Patrick Swigs on vacation. The guy
that you you're not only asked you, not only asked
who's our producer? And Mary Mack told you, but he

(04:41):
also texted us today and you replied with the thumbs up.

Speaker 7 (04:44):
I was And then once the bridge confirmed, he said,
ad damn.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
Oh damn, I was happy. H Yes, let's go.

Speaker 5 (04:55):
You're getting like the worst case scenario here for the Colts, right,
you binge your star, not star, your top pick. You
bench Anthony Richardson this week. Now, granted he hasn't been
able to stay healthy and he had looked that good.
Uh oh and he asked out last week whenever he
was tired, right, you bring in Flacco and you shut

(05:16):
out essentially until the final moments of the first half,
and he's done nothing to move the offense. I mean,
it's been terrible for Indianapolis, Like, worst kid can't run
the football. They had Minnesota on the ropes, and the
Vikings look like they're gonna win. This game is twenty
one to ten at the two minute warning. But you
want to talk about a bad decision made worse. Bad

(05:38):
decision to draft Anthony Richardson, maybe a bad decision to
bench him.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Well, the guy to replace him looks bad. Well, he's
not coming back. The rumor's already out there that maybe
they'll trade him. They could trade him immediately. We'll see
if there's how many takers are out there. I'm wondering,
you know, I want him. Well, you know, I was
about to say, I've come to the point now where
I'm thinking that these quarterbacks are not as bad as
we think when we see them struggling, you know, like

(06:04):
a Zach Wilson or Anthony Richardson or just a couple
of those guys.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
I mean, my goodness, man, you.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Nie get teams quarterback take.

Speaker 5 (06:16):
Sorry, the dead air dead air meter hit right in
the middle of your hot take, Arnie, your your equipment
decided that they didn't want you hitting Roman numeral five already.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
But your point is well taken.

Speaker 5 (06:29):
You've done a bit of a one to eighty because
you feel like we're not giving these guys enough time, right, right,
They're not developed enough, right.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
And and I it seems like, you know, as we
see Sam Darnald doing better and some of the other
guys as they get years under their belt, I mean,
it really takes a long time for them to develop it.
We're just not giving them enough time in the NFL.

Speaker 5 (06:48):
But see, Darnald would fall under that umbrella of a
guy that was ready for the NFL, right because you
they say you need to be a starter for two
or more years, and he would have fallen under umbrella.
I just I don't know if there is a magic
formula to it. I thought it's it's a great conversation.
I mean, hell, aren't you and I were having it
on Tuesday this week? But agents, and I guess you

(07:12):
could say personnel people are telling quarterbacks to stay in
college until they've been started for two or more years
because they're not getting the development they need in the NFL.
They're getting paid, but they're not getting the develop development
they need. And nobody's got any patience, you know that.
And I'm sure there's someone yell at their radio right now,
what about Jane Daniels and what about Caleb Williams And

(07:35):
how good bo Nix has been? Well, first of all,
those dudes had started for a while and played a
lot of games in college, and I just this, what
what's going on with the Commanders right now has got
to be one of the wildest turnarounds, just based on
the complete overhaul in the front office with one quarterback
and really, I mean, Commander Fan, I don't feel like

(07:57):
there's been some massive personnel shift outside of you've got
a new quarterback and.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
A new head coach and pretty much the same team
and Chris.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
It's so easy to transfer nowadays. You could get your
two years of starting, you know, back to back. If
you don't like where you were one year, you transfer,
you go to another program and there's your two years.
So it's not that difficult to get two years plus
as a starting quarterback in college.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
Well, and then where are you getting your two years, right,
Michael Pennocks junior started for two years in Indiana, couldn't
stay healthy, right, But then he goes to Kaylin to Boor, which,
by the way, it's funny that we've completely forgotten that
Michael Pennocks Junior is basically red shirting for the Falcons
this year while they sit essentially in first place in
their vision. But then he goes to Caylen to Boor

(08:42):
again and becomes a top ten pick and almost wins
a national.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Championship out of Washington.

Speaker 5 (08:48):
So yeah, it's it's wild, right, because there's gonna be
examples of times where well this worked, and obviously you're
seeing a play Anthony Richardson. You mentioned Zach Wilson. Zach
Wilson's already on his second team. It's tough, right, It's
kind of tough to gage you and what we're seeing this.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
Year in the NFL.

Speaker 5 (09:06):
There's a lot of bad NFL teams right now, and
a lot of teams are gonna be looking for a
quarterback next year, and a lot of teams are gonna
overdraft someone like Anthony Richardson because why they think they
can fix them.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Well, I did hop on the bow Nick's bandwagon. So
oh yeah, I'm on that one.

Speaker 5 (09:24):
What what finally turns you them? Getting asses kick today?

Speaker 2 (09:28):
I just think he's kind of gonna be a lot
better quarterback than people are giving him credit for. I
think he needs obviously time to develop, But I like him,
I really do.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
He just he just seems confident. I think he's gonna
do pretty well.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Obviously, you got to get weapons around them, but I
do like the situation he's in.

Speaker 5 (09:45):
What's the amount of time then that you give them?

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Well next year, then the year after, and then if
he's not doing good after that, then you have to
go ahead and make a move.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
So you're giving a starting quarterback that you draft three years.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
Yeah, this rookie year obviously a lot of learning, and
then it's got to show some improvement the next two years.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
So then you're anti what the Colts have done, benching
Anthony Richardson.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
Yeah, because you're gonna get about nixt three years. Why
wouldn't you give Anthony Richardson No.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
I understand that. I agree. I agree.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
I don't think that you have to rotating quarterbacks like
you do in college.

Speaker 5 (10:19):
Is it going to work out in the NFL? Well,
especially whenever you're rotating to like scrub you. And I
mean we just had another interception thrown by Joe Flacco.
I mean you're you're looking right now in the NFL,
aren't he? I mean there are what are we looking at?
Let's try to make sure you get my number right.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
There are.

Speaker 5 (10:38):
Ten teams, nine teams that have just two wins. Basically
everyone's either two and seven or two and six. In
that mix, New England, Jacksonville, New Orleans, Carolina, Cleveland, the Raiders,
your Dolphins, the Giants, the Jets, and the title the
Jets one, I'm sorry they're out of it. The Titans,
so you have and in the that makes the Raiders

(11:00):
have the longest losing streak. Oh, they've lost five in
a row. The Saints have lost seven in a row.
I mean, we got a battle for the top spot
in the NFL draft. And listen, New England and Jacksonville
probably aren't going quarterback Saints, Wood Carolina probably would, Cleveland,
Wood Raiders would.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
If you're the Giants or you.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
Oh, I've got I gotta get rid of Daniel Jones.
I'm done with that, Okay. I don't think he's getting
see Tennessee Wood. Right, yeah, of course for Miami. No, No,
Miami's got three quarter you see it? If anything, of
the games that he missed and when he came back,
have you seen two of statistics when he's come back
to the last two games, even though they've lost those games,
he's been fantastic.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
What's the most important statistic? No interceptions?

Speaker 3 (11:41):
No, Arnie, they're owing two since he came back. Whens
I asta baby.

Speaker 5 (11:45):
But if you're sitting okay, so you're telling me, if
you're Miami and you've got the third or fourth pick
and the top quarterback is on the board, you're going
to continue to play Russian.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
Roulette with Tua.

Speaker 5 (11:58):
He might be great, but you know he's one hit
away from missing four or five games and imploding your season.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
Again, well, was it was somebody that was so special
like you.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
You don't know about Caleb Williams and he comes in
with that type of pedigree. Otherwise, though, I'm not I'm
not gonna make the move.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
I'm good.

Speaker 4 (12:15):
I'm gonna stay with my guy. That's exactly what I'm
going to do.

Speaker 5 (12:17):
So again, just so we're clear, the Miami Dolphins, who's stuttering?
I don't know, I think you're being yourself. Yes, you
want that to that you saw today who lost by
the last two.

Speaker 4 (12:29):
Weeks, by the way that he doesn't play defense. I
don't know if you know that.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
I understand that.

Speaker 5 (12:33):
But who gets the blame and who gets the praise
the quarterback exactly. So you're telling me the dude who
got hurt when he got sneezed on and has been
out five games, you're cool with continuing to hit your
wagon to him, even if you get prime real estate
to get a quarterback in the draft.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
What I'm cool staying with him too. I really have
no other choice. But yes, even if I didn't have
a choice, if you draft a guy, I'm not taking
another guy. We're gonna draft the guy as a backup.
But that's a is my starting quarterback. And you see
that I'm right because look how inept the Dolphin offense
looked the last four weeks before he came back, and
then the two weeks when he did come back.

Speaker 5 (13:09):
It's like night and day. Right, But that's the problem.
You can't count on him being there, Arnie. Your best
ability is your availability. That's just that concern you at all. Yeah,
of course it does. I am concerned about that, but
I mean, I don't have a joy. I can't worry
about my quarterback getting hurt all the time. I just
won't call any quarterback draws. I guess, yeah, that'll do it.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
That'll do it.

Speaker 5 (13:30):
So did today. It's obviously today didn't dampen your mood
at all. With your Dolphins, it does.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
I wanted to win so bad. It's been a long
time since we won in Buffalo, and I keep a
delusional I'm so delusional. I thought that maybe we could
still win the division if we won this game. But
it doesn't make a difference. It's over. It's o VR
for my Dolphins.

Speaker 5 (13:49):
You thought that at then three and six, Yes, you
could still win the division over a team that would
have been six and three. Yes, buddy, I think you
need to start seeing someone.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
I really do.

Speaker 5 (14:03):
I think this is probably I mean even I who
feels like I'm the most illusional person in the world.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
I couldn't even watch the Raiders game today.

Speaker 5 (14:10):
I mean, all they told you going into this game
were the offensive players that Cincinnati didn't have, right, and
Joe Burrow still diced him up. I'm starting to think
Max Crosby's a little fraudulent, to be honest with you.
I mean, son of a bead man, get in the
backfield and don't get stupid penalties. And yet you're sitting
here saying, I mean we won the game. Think we

(14:31):
win the division by the way. I just one thing
on your Raiders since you brought them up. How does
Tom Brady help you get better? I'm just going to cure.
I mean, does he help recruit?

Speaker 3 (14:42):
Does he idea?

Speaker 4 (14:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (14:44):
I think I could help it some way. How did
you tell me? Because I have no idea.

Speaker 4 (14:49):
Just maybe recruiting players or something to that effect.

Speaker 5 (14:52):
Well, what recruits players more than anything, Arnie Money. I mean,
so I don't true is if he's gonna come back
and play than maybe. But the big rumor now is
that Brady's gonna push Mark Davis to make a play
for Bill Belichick.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
That's that's the big rumor.

Speaker 5 (15:11):
Since he's come to, I guess, finalize his deal with
the Raiders.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Why get Brady be like a quarterback coach to whoever
they get.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
Wouldn't that help a little bit?

Speaker 3 (15:20):
Or what I mean?

Speaker 5 (15:21):
I'm sure it would, but I mean that would involve
him coaching, So I mean it's are you gonna Are
you gonna be an owner?

Speaker 3 (15:27):
Are you gonna be a coach? You know which one
are you gonna do?

Speaker 2 (15:29):
So you could do it all. That's Tom Brady. You
could and be an announcer too.

Speaker 5 (15:32):
Final score in Sunday Night football, Minnesota holds off Indianapolis
on a pretty wild on side kick twenty one to nineteen.
The Vikings improved a six and two on the season.
The Colts fall below five hundred. Will have you know
I almost said we'll have more from this game. We're
not gonna talk about this game.

Speaker 8 (15:49):
No zero.

Speaker 5 (15:50):
Yeah, yeah, I mean, I'm just I'm sorry. Our boss
man's a big Vikings fan. I might it might be
me trying to you. You do suck up to him.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
But yeah.

Speaker 5 (16:00):
It's a good win for the Vikings after losing back
to back games, and the Colts good defense, but they
are abysmal offensively, which seems to be the case for a.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
Lot of teams in the National Football League.

Speaker 5 (16:10):
So when we come back, let's dive into everything we
learned from Week nine of the NFL. Plus Tuesday is
the first playoff rankings for college footbaar. It's twelve teams,
not four. What does that mean and much more, including
Todd Furman on a busy Sunday night right here on
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 6 (16:26):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at foxsports Radio

Speaker 3 (16:38):
Are the Arizona Cardinals good?

Speaker 4 (16:41):
We were breaking that.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
You know, they came in under the radar. They've been
playing goodball. We knew the first week when they played
well Agains Buffalo. I believe even though they got the
loss of that game, We're like, should we be paying
attention to the Cardinals And the answer was yes. They
You know, Murray has finally figured it out after how
many years? Right, how long is the gins to figure
it out? Well, he's in Arizona, so pretty good.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
He's just been hurt. Yeah, he took him to the
playoffs in his first year.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
That is true, That is true. But good victory at
a home against the Bears. Bears rually never got to go.
And so Arizona right now?

Speaker 4 (17:14):
What are they? Five and four? So they they look
like a good team. I liked them.

Speaker 5 (17:18):
They playing a couple of other teams that caught my
eye today and I can't wait to get the Sager's
take on this later. And Mark Wellard was talking about
this earlier and I thought it was a good point.
The Chargers are quietly putting together a nice little run.
They've won three of their last four. The only loss
of that stretch was a two point game to Arizona.

(17:38):
And they're really good, right, Joe. Their offensive line seems
to come together. Lad McConkie, who was a standout at Georgia.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
Oh, he's looking good? Does he not look good?

Speaker 3 (17:48):
Or what looks good?

Speaker 5 (17:49):
And justin Herbert, I think a keyword here is he
looks comfortable.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
JK.

Speaker 5 (17:54):
Dobbins had a couple of touchdowns today and Quinton Johnston
has been an incredible turnaround after his drop filled first season.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
So they beat the Browns today.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
Again.

Speaker 5 (18:04):
The Browns aren't great twenty sevens, but it was a
good run win.

Speaker 4 (18:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
I was about to say, do you remember when you
talked about all the bad teams in the NFL, Well,
three of those bad teams were the teams at the
Chargers feed, So let's patch the breaks. I mean, look,
Lebron Goes, I'm not gonna put in that class. So
I mean there let's call them average, but it's not
like the Saints obviously are world beaters, and the same
thing goes for the Browns.

Speaker 5 (18:26):
Right now, It's weird because I think the Saints are
actually not as bad as their record. And I watched
that I watched a lot of that game today. Alvin
Kamara was just I mean, he was just eating and
Derek Carr in his first game back was not bad.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
Did you see that stat that was making the rounds
about Derek Carr?

Speaker 3 (18:43):
Did you know what was it?

Speaker 2 (18:44):
It was like most losses since I'll say what twenty sixteen,
Derek Carr, twenty seventeen, Derek carrs twenty eighteen Derek Cars right,
and it's every year it's Derek Carr until the year
where he ties like Archie Manning or something like that.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
Well, they were a playoff team in twenty sixteen.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
The Raiders were, Yeah, it's not you know, it doesn't
go by like per year, goes total for his whole career.

Speaker 5 (19:15):
I'm so confused by what that stat and numbers. Can
someone please tweet it for me so it can make
sense because you said he goes year by year, Well,
I think they only lost four games in twenty sixteen.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Yeah, but it goes by a total cumulative. So that's
why he's always leading the league. He's always like your
first Yeah, one year they had a good year, but
most of the time he doesn't have a great year.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
So how could he have led the league in losses
in twenty sixteen?

Speaker 5 (19:39):
No, I said, it goes cumulative. He's accumulatived and then
it goes year by year, is what you said?

Speaker 2 (19:45):
Every year though, it's cumulative. So he had like the
most losses cumulative in twenty sixteen.

Speaker 5 (19:51):
Well, yeah, he's the quarterback for the Raiders, who freaking suck.
So I don't know what more you would want. Oh,
let's get rid of Derek Carr. We're gonna be so
much better, are you? I think Cardner Minshew has been
benched four times this year on he's.

Speaker 4 (20:03):
Not the answer obviously.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Oh, I thought there was going to be a little
bit of magic. There's nothing. He's not doing anything there.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
Hey, what's going on in Philadelphia?

Speaker 5 (20:12):
You know, they win the game, and it was one
of those games that I thought was a blowout, Sojez
kind of tuned away from it.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
Chris, I was hoping so bad that they were going
to choke this game away. Think what the Philadelphia fans
would have said, Well, they have a twenty twenty two
zip believe that I had this game written off. I'm like, well,
this is done, you know, let me concentrate on something else.

Speaker 4 (20:33):
I thought they were going to run away with it.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
It was going to be like a thirty five to
three game, and I wasn't gonna even pay attention to it.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
And all of a sudden they come back. I'm like, oh,
I what is wrong with them?

Speaker 9 (20:43):
Man?

Speaker 4 (20:44):
They just made horrible decisions in the second half of
that game.

Speaker 5 (20:47):
Unbelievable fumble return for a touchdown fourteen points in fourteen
seconds made it a game.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
But I I don't know, man.

Speaker 5 (20:58):
I want to like Nick Siria, but is are they
gonna have.

Speaker 4 (21:03):
To make a move and they went to fire somebody
at six and two. You can't do that, Yeah, I mean.

Speaker 5 (21:09):
I mean, you can do whatever you want. But I
am saying it wouldn't make a lot of sense.

Speaker 4 (21:12):
No, you can't.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
I just do that. I don't know, man, It's wild.

Speaker 5 (21:17):
It's wild because I think every Eagle fan sees it.
You you realize what happened at the end of last season,
and you kind of worry about it because you feel
like they're one loss away from this whole thing just
falling apart. And you mentioned not wanting to give too
many flowers right now to the Chargers because they haven't

(21:40):
beaten teens with a winning record. Well, in the midst
of this four game winning streak for the Eagles, they've
beaten the Browns, the Giants, the Bengals, and the Jaguars.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
Yeah, it's certainly not world beaters. There's no doubt about that.

Speaker 5 (21:50):
Nor is the team that's coming up next for them,
the Dallas Cowboys. Oh my gosh, man, what a disaster
that's become. And now, boy, were you theorizing that they
wanted to bring in Cooper Rush over Dak today?

Speaker 3 (22:04):
Was that my theory?

Speaker 6 (22:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (22:06):
Well, I just thought because I didn't know that it
was that bad. It was like they were because when
I was watching it on red Zone, they're like, Dak
has a hand, his hand is bleeding.

Speaker 4 (22:15):
They're fixing it up.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
They're fixing it up, said nothing about a hamstring. We're
looking at his hamstring. All they were doing was working
out his hand. Next to Gain, No, he's out with
a hamstring. You know something didn't sound right there, So.

Speaker 5 (22:29):
So you weren't actually watching the broadcast. You just saw
it on Red Zone, right.

Speaker 4 (22:33):
I was watching it on red Zone, right, and watch
that game right?

Speaker 5 (22:36):
See on the broadcast they had the angle where you
saw his wincing and pain whenever he threw.

Speaker 3 (22:44):
We I'm in a market that the Cowboys could cram
down your throat.

Speaker 5 (22:48):
I had the Cowboys broadcast and not not you know
what I mean, the broadcast of the game, and you
could see that when he stepped on one of his
throws that something wasn't right.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
But you're one hundred percent.

Speaker 5 (23:00):
They never ever show what are these sideline reporters on
these TV broadcasts do? What do people do? I mean,
that's all I do sidelines for college, and it's all
I do is chase down injuries. It's almost as if
someone gets hurt in an NFL game and the sideline person's.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
Like, ah, it's time for me to take a break.
He didn't even change here, he say anything about that.

Speaker 5 (23:19):
No shots, no updates on what's going on with his
hamstring or his nothing.

Speaker 3 (23:23):
Hardy.

Speaker 4 (23:23):
He did not even bring it up.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
He didn't bring it up on the Red zone until
they said he was out with a hamstring.

Speaker 4 (23:29):
There was not even speculation.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
So that's why I was not aware of it because
I'm watching Red Zone and in my other TV I
have the Dolphins Patriots game on there, so you know,
I didn't have the Cowboy game off.

Speaker 5 (23:40):
By the way, speaking of the Dolphins and the Bills today,
you're right, your team looks much more visible Patriots. I'm sorry, Yeah,
I know youaman, your team looks much more viable with
Tua in there. But you're telling me you don't worry,
you don't feel like it's a ticking time bomb. You're fine,
everything is good, All is well?

Speaker 2 (23:56):
No, not all as well. I mean, look at our
damn record for crying out loud.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
Reason's over.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
We're gonna have to trade Waddle if there's any takers
out there in.

Speaker 4 (24:05):
The off season, so we'll see how that works out.

Speaker 5 (24:07):
Yeah, we're a day away from the NFL trade deadline
as well.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
Let's talk about some of the moves that could be made.

Speaker 5 (24:13):
One hour, one day, sixteen hours, in twenty seven minutes
away from the NFL trade deadline. Not like I'm counting
down or anything, Arenie, Not like I'm.

Speaker 4 (24:21):
Counting you expecting big moves. You sound like you are.

Speaker 5 (24:24):
No, no, no, no, I just I would imagine the
biggest move would be what the Zadarius Smith trade. Looks
like he's on his way to Detroit line.

Speaker 4 (24:31):
So you don't think like Anthony Richardson or any.

Speaker 5 (24:33):
Of that quarter, No, nothing. I feel like we do
this every single year and nothing happens.

Speaker 4 (24:36):
Don't I know. I feel like there's more rumors out there.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
Maybe I'm wrong, or maybe I just don't remember the
rumors of the past. That just feels like more names
are being floated out right before.

Speaker 4 (24:46):
The trading deadline.

Speaker 5 (24:47):
Now, all right, when we come back, let's dive into
some of those rumors for the NFL trade deadline. But
Fir Steve de Sager is in the house to get
us caught up on what's trending, what's going on?

Speaker 4 (24:56):
Steve, Hello, gentlemen.

Speaker 10 (24:58):
And yes, the NFL trade deadline is Tuesday afternoon. And
you mentioned the Chargers as the low background. They earned
a last play schedule for this season by the season
they had with Brandon's Daily last year, so partly because
of that, the Chargers opened the year with the wins
against Raiders and Panthers, and these last two wins are
against Saints and Browns, and the Chargers will host the

(25:19):
Titans next Sunday. After that, the Chargers will in a
row be playing Cincinnati, Baltimore, Atlanta, and Kansas City. And
I got to mention, it's a Monday night game right
before Thanksgiving. It's John Harbaugh and the Ravens at Jim
Harbaugh and the Chargers. I mentioned on the previous show
that the culture change being so striking and immediate with

(25:43):
Harbaugh taking over this year with the Chargers reminds me
of when Sean McVeigh took over the garbage that was
the Jeff Fisher Rams when they had initially.

Speaker 8 (25:52):
Moved Wow to La.

Speaker 10 (25:54):
It was a huge difference then and it is now,
and partly because of the opponents, partly because Harbaugh, unlike
shockingly a defensive coordinator, stately actually has a good defense.
The Chargers allowed just thirteen points a game, best in
the league coming in so justin Herbert two touchdown passes
the past month, he's certainly throwing JK. Dobbins two touchdown runs.

(26:17):
Chargers won at Cleveland twenty seven to ten. And yes,
Las Vegas is on a bye next weekend, so is Cleveland.
Vegas has lost five in a row. Lost forty one
to twenty four at Cincinnati Joe Burrow with five touchdown passes,
and you mentioned the Eagles win it was twenty two
to zhoing third quarter. They held on twenty eight to
twenty three over Jacksonville. Philadelphia had a two point conversion

(26:40):
attempt three different times and missed all three shockingly. And yes,
Jacksonville at Philadelphia was going to be the Sunday night
game this evening originally on the original NFL Scave schedule.
That was the one that was flexed out intil late afternoon,
which provided the Eagles their first four pm Eastern KIF
this year. About half their games the rest of the

(27:02):
way will be four pm Eastern. But yeah, we were
going to get Jacksonville in the Sunday night game and
instead in a daytime slot. Jacksonville's offense in the first
half had one first down and two turnovers. And then
we got Colts at Vikings instead, and it was seven
to nothing at the half, Colts leading thanks to a
defensive touchdown.

Speaker 8 (27:22):
The game was seven to seven.

Speaker 10 (27:23):
Late third quarter, Vikings went at twenty one to thirteen,
and nobody will remember that this was largely a forgettable
game because the Vikings are six and two now. Sam
Darnold three touchdown passes, three turnovers. Seattle quarterback Gino Smith
three touchdowns, three interceptions. Seattle lost at home in overtime
to the Rams twenty six to twenty. What Gino Smith

(27:47):
did today throwing away the game twice in the fourth quarter?
AP tried to look up who has done this? To
throw two interceptions from inside the ten yard line in
the fourth quarter of a one score game twice. He's
the first player since at least nineteen ninety one to
do that edit out a mild game.

Speaker 4 (28:06):
Why who did it? Ninety one?

Speaker 10 (28:08):
No, at least ninety one, Like that's as far back
as they looked.

Speaker 3 (28:13):
It was.

Speaker 10 (28:13):
Man, my goodness, you'd think after Genosmith's two touchdown passes
in the last minute before half, oh okay they got
this now.

Speaker 5 (28:20):
Nope.

Speaker 10 (28:21):
Rams win in overtime twenty six to twenty, and now
Matthew Stafford has a third career overtime touchdown pass. By
the way, including tonight's game, we can update the close games.

Speaker 8 (28:32):
This year in the NFL stent.

Speaker 10 (28:34):
We still have one game to go for the weekend
but we've had nine games this weekend now that were
within one score in the fourth quarter. So I've said before,
like tonight's game, not necessarily thrilling, but close. And the
NFL has had roughly seventy five games that get decided
by seven points or less this year, which is the

(28:56):
most through a week nine in the history of the NFL.

Speaker 8 (29:00):
Detroit won at six.

Speaker 10 (29:01):
Straight game in the rain and wind at Green Bay
twenty four fourteen, Arizona over Chicago twenty nine to nine,
James Connor one hundred and seven yards rushing. Ryan Blaney
won the NASCAR Race at Martinsville. In the NBA the
late game to Dallas easily beating Orlando one o eight
to eighty five. Golden State Steph Curry, with the ankle injury,
was upgraded to questionable for tomorrow. Among the seven NHL games,

(29:23):
wins for the Rangers and for Winnipeg, which is eleven
and one back to you.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
Thank wow.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
Thenks, keep your eye on when Giannis is going to
the Knicks. Please keep your eye on that. Are you
talking without the mark Stein report tonight?

Speaker 4 (29:36):
Yes, you better believe it. You better believe it.

Speaker 5 (29:40):
This has got to be one of the all time
most generic reports I've ever seen in my life. I mean,
come on, dud, be honest, right, it's if if, if, yes,
he honest decides he wants to ask out of Milwaukee,
expect the New York Knicks to be a team interested?
Is that not one of the most no bleep reports?
Who wouldn't be interested in bringing you in?

Speaker 2 (30:02):
Can't get better than that? You know, that's like, it's
like it's almost done. If the supermotto wasn't married, there's
men that would be interested.

Speaker 4 (30:10):
I want you to know that.

Speaker 5 (30:11):
Oh man, you want to you wanna hit some of
these tweets. They've been pretty good.

Speaker 4 (30:15):
We're getting a lot. We're getting at.

Speaker 5 (30:16):
Stinkingenius one, Arnie. I don't know if you have your
full account.

Speaker 4 (30:20):
I'm not sure, So you go ahead. I'll see if
I can follow you.

Speaker 5 (30:23):
You see if you can follow along, because every so often,
whenever you'll tweet something, it still says that I can't.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
See it, So you might have worked.

Speaker 5 (30:31):
I don't know what's going on late night drug tester
rights not to dwell on the Sunday night football schedule,
But why hasn't the Colts Jets game in two weeks
been flexed yet.

Speaker 4 (30:43):
It will be right. It's the Seger What do you think.

Speaker 5 (30:47):
I think they're kind of drunk on the Jets still
though they won on Thursday Night, it's still Aaron Rodgers
and Avante All.

Speaker 10 (30:54):
You think the Cowboys are gonna get flexed out of
either late afternoon, big ratings games or something in primetime.

Speaker 4 (31:01):
No, they won't flex the Cowboys out at all.

Speaker 10 (31:03):
Nottheless, Prescott's actually out and Cede Lamb's actually out.

Speaker 4 (31:07):
Not unless Kerry fire somebody and then they have to
other than that. No, but we're on what.

Speaker 8 (31:12):
Week nine here, that's right, that's right, this weekend.

Speaker 10 (31:16):
You can use the flex for Sunday Night two times
up through week ten. So we did it tonight, and
then after that week's eleven through seventeen. At the league's whim,
they could do it.

Speaker 5 (31:28):
So the Sunday night football game that is week eleven,
it's I can't even say it, what straight face.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
It's the Colts and the Jets.

Speaker 5 (31:36):
Now the Chiefs and the Bills play that weekend, but
that's a prime afternoon slot for CBS, and they might
fight you for that.

Speaker 3 (31:43):
I don't really see any other map. Maybe Raven Steelers.

Speaker 4 (31:47):
That would be a good one.

Speaker 5 (31:48):
But again, I wonder if that's why your Dolphins play
my Raiders that weekend.

Speaker 4 (31:53):
Oh I don't think so, dude, they won't put that
on TV at all.

Speaker 3 (31:57):
Listen to these.

Speaker 8 (31:58):
Two matchups in Week eleven Dolphin playoff game.

Speaker 5 (32:01):
Wow, Raiders at Dolphins noon one Eastern, Browns and Saints
noon one Eastern.

Speaker 4 (32:09):
Tickets are plentiful.

Speaker 5 (32:12):
Yes, yes, I don't know. And again they Segre you
know these rules better than me. When you have a
marquee matchup like that, like Chiefs and Bills, CBS doesn't
want to lose that. I'm sure CBS doesn't want to
lose that noon slot with the Ravens and the Steelers
either do well.

Speaker 10 (32:26):
They left for example, a Monday night Giants game up
and the Giants just I mean very hard to watch
that Offen's I mean, this has been proven.

Speaker 8 (32:34):
This is not like Week one.

Speaker 10 (32:35):
It might get better, this is who they are, but
it was opposite Yankees Dodgers World Series, so it actually
got outdone in the ratings. I think the NFL will
usually still win a ratings when there's not a competition
of Yankees Dodgers. I mean, we've got the undefeated Chiefs
on a Monday night game. We got what was it?
Texans next Sunday night against the Trade. We got a

(32:57):
Texans in a Monday night at Dallas that I'm sure
they're going to before.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
But from the watch now the Texans, especially with all
the injuries too going on with them.

Speaker 3 (33:05):
I'm starting to buy into your CJ. Stroud theory as
well too. This week.

Speaker 10 (33:09):
Yeah yeah, how about that offensive line is horrid, terrible?

Speaker 5 (33:14):
Collins Cameron writes, Anthony Richardson still stinks. By the way,
Indiana versus Ohio State, who wins?

Speaker 4 (33:24):
That's going to be a good one.

Speaker 3 (33:26):
I can't wait to see. Uh.

Speaker 5 (33:27):
I think the twelve teams are pretty much set in
the twelve team rankings on Tuesday night. I think that
most of the experts are some have smu in as
the second ACC team you're.

Speaker 10 (33:39):
Referring to the first playoff ranking comes that's Tuesday.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
That's right, the first twelve team playoff rankings.

Speaker 5 (33:44):
But I'll tell you what, Arnie, that Indiana versus Ohio
State game in two weeks and seeing where Indiana is
going to be in the first rankings.

Speaker 10 (33:51):
They're top one in the new AP poll today, Indiana
is nine and oh for the first time ever.

Speaker 4 (33:57):
Amazing, amazing, they look so good.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
Bay Rights.

Speaker 5 (34:01):
The only swing in the NFL worse than Jameis Winston's
performance today was the weather in Green Bay. Were you
watching any of that?

Speaker 2 (34:08):
Yeah, all of a sudden, It's like, man, it was
nasty and was I thought, the hail and sleet and
large rain.

Speaker 4 (34:15):
I'm like, what's going on on this?

Speaker 8 (34:16):
Do you see? There was hail in Arizona? They had
the roof opened.

Speaker 3 (34:20):
How did that? What is so they got the roof open?

Speaker 6 (34:22):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (34:22):
Oh, yes they did?

Speaker 5 (34:23):
Yeah, yeah, I was. I was wondering. It's like, whoa,
how did that end up still hailing in there? When
they oh, they have a roof it was open. That means,
all right, we got a break. When we come back,
more of your tweets and whose season came to an end,
plus who's saved their season.

Speaker 3 (34:39):
It's all coming up on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 5 (34:46):
All right, there we go, putting a wrap on hour one.
It's already in plank right here on Fox Sports Radio
to a Fox Sports Sunday. More of your tweets coming
up in mirror moments. But first, Steve the Seger, We've
got breaking news.

Speaker 4 (34:59):
Wait, breaking news from Fox Sports.

Speaker 10 (35:03):
NFL network reporting the Las Vegas Raiders have fired offensive
coordinator Luke Getsei. The Raiders had the worst rushing offense
in the AFC coming into today, under eighty yards a
game as a team on the ground, and then they
only had sixty yards rushing today. Plus the Raiders turnover
margin came into today tied for worst in the NFL.

Speaker 8 (35:22):
They're now at a minus fourteen.

Speaker 10 (35:24):
Las Vegas on a bye next weekend, so they make
this move.

Speaker 5 (35:27):
Now, Wow, Antonio Peers, are you mad you didn't get
to ruin it?

Speaker 4 (35:33):
Arnie, No, I thought it was Johnna's going to the Knicks.
I got all excited there now.

Speaker 5 (35:37):
Antonio Piers last week said quote, there's been a lot
of opportunities for us to score points and make opportunities.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
And yeah, that's on the play caller.

Speaker 5 (35:46):
It does start with a coordinator, but he's got to
be the one that takes the fall for that and
gets most of the blame.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
It's still collective. Well tonight he is out.

Speaker 5 (35:57):
Paul Gudieros, who covers the Raiders for ESPN, tweeted confirmed
and stay tuned. Wonder what that could possibly mean Paul
and he's not usually a game player on Twitter. Right,
there's some people that you know, the mL Footballs of
the world in the NFL, rmr as that are aggregators.
But you know, I wonder what could be next Raiders.

(36:20):
This is just what's what's the reality of it. They're
just terrible.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
This is where I thought maybe like a Tom Brady
could use his influence and say get himself an offensive.

Speaker 4 (36:28):
Coordinator that normally wouldn't be coming.

Speaker 2 (36:30):
The Las Vegas but it's coming because he has a
good rapport with Tom Brady or something.

Speaker 3 (36:34):
Why would you do that?

Speaker 8 (36:37):
You mean, if you're Charlie Weiss.

Speaker 5 (36:38):
Yeah, I mean, why would you do that? Based on
if you're coming there? You got to feel like as
an offensive coordinator, you got a quarterback you can work with,
which the Raiders don't.

Speaker 3 (36:49):
And by the way, they three different.

Speaker 10 (36:51):
Guys through a touchdown passes already. They just are rolling
through it and nobody can run.

Speaker 5 (36:56):
Here's what's frustrating. They have gone right down the field
and five straight games on their opening drive and scored
a touchdown.

Speaker 3 (37:03):
Wow, they did it today.

Speaker 5 (37:06):
They look like they were the best offensive team in
the NFL.

Speaker 10 (37:09):
Okay, people need to realize how impressive that is. Because
we were talking about the Eagles. The Eagles until today
were the only team in the league without a single
point in an entire first quarter this year.

Speaker 8 (37:20):
Compare that to the Raiders good starts.

Speaker 10 (37:22):
I mean, this Raiders game was ten ten at Cincinnati
late first half today.

Speaker 4 (37:26):
Chris, I would rather have the Raider job.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
Then, let's uh, oh, any quarterback that I want, I'll
bring in anyone.

Speaker 4 (37:35):
I want them that job.

Speaker 8 (37:36):
Rather than being his engineer.

Speaker 5 (37:37):
I think that's what you would rather have the Raiders
job than what because you've cut.

Speaker 4 (37:42):
Out right when you said that the Dolphin job.

Speaker 5 (37:44):
Oh okay, well, I mean, but then you have an
established quarterback in your mind. Why would you be worried
about it? You have two up?

Speaker 4 (37:51):
Yeah I did.

Speaker 2 (37:51):
If you don't like Tua, you can bring in any
quarterback you want with the Raiders.

Speaker 5 (37:54):
How could you not like him? He's been one of
the most efficient quarterbacks when he's healthy. Well, I'll tell
you why you can't like him, because the next time
someone breathes on him, a season is over and his
career might be two.

Speaker 3 (38:05):
Yeah, this needed to be done.

Speaker 5 (38:07):
I'm starting to worry that Antonio Pierce might be one
and done, and I'm kind of wondering if the same
might be sad for Tom to LESCo.

Speaker 3 (38:14):
I mean, now, it's just frustrating.

Speaker 5 (38:16):
Man. You get so excited about a football season, even
going into it, knowing your quarterback options or aid and
O'Connell or Gardner Minshew, and somehow Minshew wins the job,
and then a and O'Connell comes in. It looks pretty good,
look pretty good, and then he gets hurt, breaks his
finger or something.

Speaker 10 (38:37):
They were two and two at one point, and now
the Raiders have lost five straight.

Speaker 5 (38:40):
Beat the Ravens, Yes, beat the Ravens in a game
where they rallied from the.

Speaker 4 (38:44):
Baltimore with the number one offense in the league.

Speaker 5 (38:49):
Unbelievable, but a move that needed to be made. Is
this our first firing of the office of the end
season so far?

Speaker 4 (38:56):
No?

Speaker 3 (38:56):
No, no, The Jets fired Robert Sallow.

Speaker 8 (38:58):
That's right.

Speaker 5 (38:59):
So this is our first coordinator that's truly been let
go because Nathaniel Hackett just got demoded with the Jets.
Here's here's the true winner in all of this, right,
Cliff Kingsbury, Because if you think about it, Cliff Kingsbury
had committed to take the Raiders offensive coordinator job. And
then when Washington, when the commanders hired Dan Quinn, what happened?

(39:21):
He went and took the commander's job. And now look
where Washington is points a game. It's unbelievable taking place there.
All right, So I'll have now some pointless hope that
the Raiders are going to be better offensively going into
a bye week.

Speaker 3 (39:38):
But we'll see how it goes, all right, our one.

Speaker 5 (39:40):
Putting a rap with some breaking news right here on
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (39:46):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (39:49):
Yes, we are broadcasting laugh from the ti rack dot

Speaker 3 (40:04):
Yeah, yeah, go ahead.

Speaker 2 (40:07):
Well, I like to interrupt here for just a second please,
You know, with the election coming up on Tuesday, and
you and I don't talk about politics or anything like that,
but I'm wondering, since the election is coming up Tuesday,
can we read Paul Bill's mafia's tweet? Are we not
allowed to read that is that against the law.

Speaker 3 (40:25):
I've just got your show, buddy, go ahead.

Speaker 4 (40:27):
Well, I don't know if I don't know if it's
against the law.

Speaker 5 (40:30):
Free, free, freedom of speech, free world, do whatever you want. Man.

Speaker 4 (40:34):
Well it says here.

Speaker 2 (40:35):
If I write in stinking Genius for president and send
you a picture of it, can I get some free
Fox Sports radio merchandise?

Speaker 3 (40:44):
Why would you.

Speaker 5 (40:45):
Want Arnie to be president? If you can give me,
if you can give me a compelling case, why absolutely.
But I don't I don't think you're allowed to take
pictures of your ballot?

Speaker 4 (40:57):
Oh yeah you can?

Speaker 3 (40:58):
Oh you can?

Speaker 4 (40:58):
Oh yeah, absolutely you can. Yes, definitely can.

Speaker 5 (41:02):
So you can take a picture of your ballot to
show who you voted for.

Speaker 4 (41:07):
Yes, it's I've seen people can. Yeah, can.

Speaker 2 (41:09):
I've seen people already do it. It's it's funny out there. Yeah,
people are posting who they voted for. So, yeah, I
wonder if if we got a bunch of.

Speaker 4 (41:18):
People to vote for me? Is this illegal?

Speaker 6 (41:20):
Now?

Speaker 4 (41:20):
Could I say vote for me? Is that? Am I allowed?

Speaker 5 (41:23):
How would that?

Speaker 4 (41:24):
Because I don't think you can go on the airwaves
and do that. I think there's a certain cutoff time.
But I'm not.

Speaker 3 (41:29):
Sure, yeah, it's it's.

Speaker 5 (41:30):
By the way, there are a lot of states where
you can't take pictures of your ballot, so like North Carolina, Georgia, Nevada, Texas,
South Carolina, South Dakota, so on and so forth.

Speaker 4 (41:42):
We'll see, Yeah, posted them, I've seen them.

Speaker 5 (41:45):
Understand, I understand. Yah, it's it's it's. There's states where
you can take pictures with your own ballot at the polls,
and there's others where you can just take pictures of
your absentee ballot.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
But there's also places where you can't.

Speaker 2 (42:00):
I'm gonna run on spate if I become president. I'm
going to make it legal that you could fire anybody
in the workplace if they root for a crappy team.

Speaker 4 (42:09):
That's the first thing I'm going to pay.

Speaker 5 (42:10):
Well, you wouldn't have a job, is I mean, why
would you want to fire yourself?

Speaker 4 (42:16):
He does it all the time offins.

Speaker 2 (42:17):
But then again, I overset that because I'm a medfan too.

Speaker 5 (42:21):
So wait, so you feel like you know, never mind,
I so vote for Arnie because he's gonna fire everyone.

Speaker 3 (42:28):
That so can can I get back to football? Now?

Speaker 4 (42:30):
We're good?

Speaker 3 (42:31):
You want to get your marathon talk out? Of the
way to.

Speaker 2 (42:34):
Uh no, No, that's okay. I didn't run a marathon.

Speaker 3 (42:37):
Your son did. Yes, that's what I was gonna say.

Speaker 4 (42:39):
Now, that'd be great, like three twenty or something. Nothing
for that's the.

Speaker 5 (42:42):
World record time. I think he did pretty good for
being his first year.

Speaker 4 (42:45):
You got. If you're not breaking three hours, then big deal.

Speaker 3 (42:50):
A couple of quick tweets on this what.

Speaker 4 (42:52):
You're so disgusted at me?

Speaker 5 (42:54):
I don't understand your son runs a marathon. Yes, it's
an amazing accomplishment. I might be in talking about my
kid running a marathon.

Speaker 2 (43:02):
You're trying to claim because Chris, please, then do it.
I could do it tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (43:08):
You can run a mayor.

Speaker 5 (43:09):
I'll bet you a billion dollars and I'll cut my
arm off that you couldn't do it in four hours
if you even come close a billion dollars and I'll
cut my arm off. If you do it, I'll go
the Mark Willard. I bet has anyone cut Willard's arm off?
Now that Lebron won a championship, has that happened?

Speaker 2 (43:28):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (43:28):
Now the Raiders have fired their offensive coordinator tonight. It's
led to a couple of really solid reactions and by
a couple. I do mean too, mister nobody writes reaction
to the Raiders OC being fired. It's nice, but it
really won't mean anything until they fire their GM or
whoever was responsible for putting together this roster and then

(43:49):
bake ads. The Raiders have Minshew and O'Connell for quarterback
and a rookie head coach in Pierce. Traded away a
great running back and wide receiver. But it's the OC's fault. Okay,
in fairness, they didn't trade away Josh Jacobs.

Speaker 3 (44:05):
He signed with the Packers in.

Speaker 5 (44:06):
The rseason, right, and in defense of Luke Getzi, they
have scored on the opening drive in five straight games.
The problem is the Raiders have not adjusted and they
haven't kept the quarterback comfortable.

Speaker 3 (44:20):
So yeah, kind of he needed to go.

Speaker 5 (44:23):
Dude, Chicago Bears fans were laughing at us when we
hired him, That's.

Speaker 4 (44:27):
Right, I remember when that happened. You were about that.

Speaker 5 (44:30):
Wait, wasn't this the guy that the Bears fans wanted
fired after a year with Justin Fields? And honestly, I
don't know, I don't know if this would have made
any difference, but I kind of thought Justin Fields would
be a good fit with the Raiders, but when they
got getsy, you're like, well, that's not gonna happen. So
I can't help. But wonder if he kept Justin Fields
from being a Raider right now. I don't know if

(44:50):
it would have difference or not. But here we are, Chris.

Speaker 2 (44:53):
We talked about quarterbacks that really need development. There's one
that really I think in a year or two the
right system could really thrive in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (45:03):
As Justin Fields, I don't do. Yeah, I don't even
know if Pittsburgh's really the right place for me either, though.

Speaker 8 (45:08):
Well, I mean, he got beat up by Russell Wilson.

Speaker 5 (45:11):
And by the way, Russell Wilson looked prett damn good
since he took over. I mean, it's not like MVP talk.
It's not Seattle Seahawk Russell Wilson. But and I know
I have Sooner Sooner friends, excuse me, Steeler friends that
listen to this show, so they'll get mad at me
when I say this, But it's almost exactly what the
Steelers need. Right Fields was a roller coaster because you

(45:33):
never knew when he was going to turn the ball over.
At the very least it appears is if Russell Wilson's
did a better job of protecting football.

Speaker 4 (45:42):
So take it better than I thought he was going
to be Russell.

Speaker 5 (45:44):
Oh that's for sure, all right, So again big move tonight,
Raiders fire their offensive coordinator. Probably enough talk for a
team that's two and seven right now, So as we
come to you live from the tyrack dot com studios,
Arnie Spanier, whose season came to and who saved their
season today? Before Todd Freman joins us, let's hit Roman

(46:05):
numeral number two on the Roman numeral rundown. Who jumps
to the top of your mind for a team at
first saved their season today?

Speaker 4 (46:14):
Okay, who saved their season today?

Speaker 2 (46:16):
I think I could start with Cincinnati too, because you
can't lose it home and then expect to go ahead
and you know, still make a run at this thing.
This was a chrished home end of the year, right
This was a crucial game for them and you know,
a big game, and it was there even though it
was the Raiders. Can you imagine you lose that? What
would they have dropped to three and six? This season

(46:37):
would have been done that. You can't lose a home
game to the Raiders, especially in that fashion. So yeah,
it's keeps their hopes alive. There's still the thicke of things.
They didn't beat any big juggernaut or anything like that,
but it did save their season for now, that's for sure.

Speaker 5 (46:52):
You made me want to put the Bills on here
who saved their season? Because you're bringing up that had
they lost the dall, we're gonna win the division.

Speaker 3 (47:01):
So I did not put the Bills as a team
to save their season.

Speaker 5 (47:06):
I think there's a couple here for me that jumped out,
and one of them is the Eagles.

Speaker 4 (47:13):
Now I was thinking about that too.

Speaker 5 (47:15):
They weren't in danger, right, I mean again, the Commanders won.
They have a seven to two record. You're a half
game behind him at six and two. But for his
dominating as the Eagles were early in that game, to
suddenly look up and see it as a as a
one score game in the third quarter, whenever, with nine

(47:36):
minutes to go in the third quarter, you're up twenty
two to Zip and then just like that, it's twenty
two to sixteen. Knowing how Nick Sirianni has not necessarily
been beloved by Philly fans and the media here recently,
I don't know, Arnie. I don't think they were going
to implode, but I think for sake of this this drill,
I think it was pretty big for them to still

(47:57):
go out and win that game.

Speaker 2 (47:58):
Yeah, then you have to worry about Washington and if
they have a game on you in the lost column.

Speaker 4 (48:03):
Definitely. I don't know if it would have destroyed their
whole season, but it was a big win. I'll tell
you who saved their season. Oh, Chris, it has to
be the Rams.

Speaker 2 (48:10):
Rams are three and four, they're down what hteena three
and halftime to the Seahawks.

Speaker 4 (48:16):
They lose that or three and five.

Speaker 3 (48:18):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (48:19):
You could probably just say forget about it, we're gonna
make some moves. Maybe they're sellers during the you know,
trade deadline, but you know, they bounced back, they get
to win in overtime, they go to four and four.

Speaker 4 (48:32):
They're at five hundred in.

Speaker 2 (48:34):
A division that's really not you know, any world beaters
out there.

Speaker 4 (48:37):
That was a big, big win for them over Seattle. Today.

Speaker 5 (48:41):
Let me throw one more whose season was saved. It
wasn't today, but it was Thursday. And I still don't
know if they're any good. But the Jets getting a
win with as bad as that first half was, it's
pretty incredible.

Speaker 3 (48:54):
Right, I gotta be honest with you.

Speaker 5 (48:58):
I haven't been feeling well this week, so about midway
through the third quarter, I fell asleep. But it's crazy
Prime Video. They have a button you can get where
you can just watch from the beginning of the game.
So when I fell asleep, I went back to Prime
without looking at anything, and rewatched the fourth quarter. And
I couldn't believe that, Like what what? Because that game

(49:21):
was I mean again, it was ten, seven, seven, seven,
whatever it was heading into the fourth quarter. I could
not believe that at one point in that game the
Jets had a twenty one to ten lead, Arnie. So
I'm not here to tell you that suddenly it's going
to be a run for the Jets and that they're
a good team. But for what they were on the

(49:42):
cusp of being two and seven and losing to injury
riddled Texans team, Yeah, I think they saved their season
this week.

Speaker 2 (49:51):
Yeah, I gotta agree with that one. Also, it's not
way I still think they're going to make a run
at the thing.

Speaker 4 (49:55):
Agree, But you're right, it was Oh when they had
to get they were playing at home and it was
against the good team. Also, that just happened to me
coming in.

Speaker 2 (50:01):
We'll begin because they've had tons of injuries for the
Texan so they're certainly in big trouble.

Speaker 5 (50:06):
Also, are we both in agreement here that on Roman
Numeral two that the Cowboys season officially came to an
end today.

Speaker 2 (50:13):
No, I'm not ready to on them, even if we're
gonna start with that. I got to start with my Dolphins.
I mean to go to two and six, forget about it.
If they'd gotten the victory, I thought maybe they would
maybe maybe of an outside chance and winning the division
or at least make it a wild card.

Speaker 4 (50:28):
Now it's really impossible. You're not going anywhere.

Speaker 2 (50:31):
You've got a few tough games maybe coming up out
of the next four, but otherwise it's just not going
to be the Dolphins season this year.

Speaker 4 (50:38):
It's over. It sucks too, because I was at big
expectations for my Dolphins that goodness, I didn't put them
in my parlay. But yeah, it is. It's done. It's
over for Miami this year.

Speaker 5 (50:50):
Next week we get the Rams, then you get the
Raiders and the Patriots, so good chance to maybe go
two and one, three and oh, and that's.

Speaker 2 (50:58):
Try Are you giving me hope again? Wait a minute,
that's five and six. Maybe we don't stop it.

Speaker 5 (51:02):
Don't do that, that'd be five and seven. I don't
think you're beating the Red Well, I don't know. It's
not like the Rams have been outstanding. It's money that
football too, So it's another day to get healthy for everybody.
Why do they not throw the blow to Turvy Kilmore?
You told me to make him my first pick in
my fantasy football.

Speaker 4 (51:18):
They didn't use him in the first half today, did
they much?

Speaker 2 (51:21):
Then they started getting the ball a little bit more
to him in the second half.

Speaker 5 (51:25):
Season came to an end for a lot of two
win teams that might have had hope Browns and that
mix for me, Raiders and that mix for me.

Speaker 4 (51:32):
Since you thought the Cowboys though, you thought the Cowboys
season game two and nine.

Speaker 5 (51:35):
Well, I mean, you're in a division where the division
leader is now seven and two.

Speaker 3 (51:40):
You're three games behind them, And I know this is.

Speaker 5 (51:44):
Way, way, way, way way too early to start looking
at wild card standings or anything of that nature. But
you're you're thirteenth.

Speaker 4 (51:54):
Yeah, they're way down there? Is that amazing or what
You're two games.

Speaker 5 (51:57):
Back of the seventh seed right now, which is the Packers.
So again, I didn't necessarily expect him like to blow
out or beat Atlanta, but I mean they're three and
five now, dude, I mean, what are you as a franchise.
We get more Jerry Jones telling us about how they're
closed or how he still believes is I mean, they're

(52:18):
closer to last in the NFC than they are to
the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (52:23):
So they've wasted their money with Dak Prescott. You know,
I've never been a Dak Prescott fan. It's never going
to work out with him. It's just he's never going
to take them far. He'll maybe go to a couple
of playoffs. They had a good record in the last couple
of years, but overall it's just not going to happen
with him and Dak Prescott. They probably should have gone
in a different direction.

Speaker 5 (52:42):
Any other teams. Now, you want to add to your
list of seasons coming to an end?

Speaker 2 (52:48):
Here in week nine, seasons coming to an end, I
guess you could finally make it official to the Saints, right,
I mean, you lose on the road to the Panthers,
You're two and six. A win maybe keeps things whole,
keeps a little bit of hope alive. Yeah, Now, when
you lose to the Panthers, ear you're a ficially done.
You're a fishe oveer at that point.

Speaker 5 (53:08):
And I watched that game. I still don't know how
they lost. I have no idea how they lost that game.
They controlled time of possession, they ran the football almost
at will Derek card and turn the ball over was
fairly efficient. I still have no idea how they lost
that football game. But yeah, I would put the Saint

(53:28):
to that mix to all right, there you go. You
guys want to add to that list at Stinking Genius
one at Plank Show. Everybody go follow us at Fox
Sports Radio. And I am disappointed that we are an
hour and fifteen minutes into the show and you used
your your interrupting time at the top of the hour
to try to run for.

Speaker 3 (53:45):
President for some reason.

Speaker 5 (53:46):
Yes, and you didn't use it to brag about actually
placing a bat, which I was proud of you for.

Speaker 2 (53:51):
I bet a fifty dollars two team parlay the Knicks
to win the championship to my Arizona Wildcats to win
the championship. But I'm a little disappointed because I thought
it was gonna pay about forty.

Speaker 4 (54:04):
Thousand, but it only pays ten g.

Speaker 2 (54:07):
So I'm thinking if I bet another nine hundred and
fifty dollars that pays two hundred thousand, then if I
do it that.

Speaker 3 (54:13):
Way, did your did your wife know about this?

Speaker 2 (54:18):
No, I've had my son plays it for me behind
my wife's back.

Speaker 6 (54:22):
All right.

Speaker 5 (54:22):
When we come back to the diraq dot com studios,
our man Todd Furman helps us break down the day
from the book's perspective. Right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 6 (54:31):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at foxsports Radio
dot Com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to
listen live.

Speaker 3 (54:43):
All right, let's head straight to Vegas.

Speaker 5 (54:45):
Todd Ferman joins us, I'm sure he's been all over
the Luke Getzi News tonight like I unfortunately am, because
I'm a pathetic, hopeless Lost Raiders fan right now, Todd,
but they had to do something, right, I mean, you
have to do something.

Speaker 9 (55:02):
I mean something might be trading away the entire roster.
Anybody that will take some of the coaching staff as well.
It would be the best solution that was there. It
got so desperate that we got a Desmond Ridder sighting today.
Antonio Pierce claims wasn't because Gardner minshe was playing poorly.
He was looking for a spark. The last team that
Desn't Ridder sparked was a Luke Fickele led Cincinnati Bearcat's team.

(55:23):
It hasn't happened at this level yet.

Speaker 3 (55:25):
True love it.

Speaker 2 (55:26):
I love it, Todd. What did we look like at
the books today? How did they make some money? Are
there in trouble this week?

Speaker 9 (55:32):
It always helps when you get the under to come
in in the Sunday night game, but when you try
and go through the board in terms of where some
of the public games played out didn't want to see
the Lions get there as a short road favorite against
the Green Bay Packers, so that, no doubt was a
bad decision for the house. The Washington Commanders winning a
game by five points closing as a four to four
and a half point favorite not exactly an ideal scenario either,

(55:55):
But the game that does help quite a bit was
one of the most public sides, winning the game outright
but not covering the number in the Buffalo Bills getting
by your beloved Dolphins aren't even a sixty one yard
Tyler bassfield goal again, and the weekend start off in
style for the house as well, getting the Jets home
as a short favorite. Public was backing the Houston Texans
like they knew the final, although there was quite a
bit of professional money that came in on the Jets

(56:17):
in that short home favor role.

Speaker 5 (56:19):
DoD I want to shift to the college game real quick.
We're going to get the rankings on Tuesday night, the
first playoff rankings, and the gleege fans are going to
lose their minds because there's going to be teams like
Penn State that just lost that will still be in
the top twelve. But what do you make of what's
going on at Penn State right? I mean, they're a
good football team, they just can't beat good football teams.

(56:39):
One in ten now against Ohio State, James Franklin has
three wins against top ten teams. Where's Penn State football
in your opinion? And are you buying them as a
playoff team.

Speaker 9 (56:50):
I'm not, but I think given the brand that they
have and everything that they're going to have in front
of them with four very winnable games, is double digit
favorite this weekend against Washington, going on the road against
the Purdue team that appears to be somewhat checked out
in a regular season home finale against Maryland. If you're
a Penn State detractor, you're circling that date Saturday, November
twenty third, when they go on the road to Twin
Cities to take on PJ. Fleck and the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

(57:13):
Because when I look at Penn State from top to bottom,
this resume, if they do finish ten and two, in
my opinion, doesn't hold water compared to some of the
SEC teams or other teams in the Big Ten. But
in my opinion, at eleven and one, whether we feel
they're worthy of consideration or not, I don't think they'll
be kept out.

Speaker 4 (57:29):
Now.

Speaker 9 (57:29):
The interesting discussion and dilemma the committee's going to find
is that if you have four Big Ten teams, say
it's Oregon that goes through the regular season undefeated, Ohio
State finishes eleven and one, and those are the two
teams we see play in the Big Ten Championship, you
get an Indiana team who's only lost on their resume,
is to an Ohio State team, so they finish eleven
and one, and then there's Penn State. I don't think

(57:50):
watching this league week in week out, that the Big
Ten is worthy of getting four teams in the College
Football Playoffs. So I think what's going to unfold there,
It'll be a very interesting discussion should Penn State be
on that cut line. And we're talking about a team
like Notre Dame that still carries a big brand cachet
with that bad loss against NIU finishing eleven and one,
so a number of fascinating scenarios to play out, especially

(58:11):
against some of the SEC teams that, in my opinion,
will be more deserving of getting a seat at the
table despite finishing nine and three or even ten and two.

Speaker 4 (58:19):
You know, Todd kind of.

Speaker 2 (58:19):
Like the way the NFL lines come out for the
entire week early, do you guys like run to the
window when when the odds come out or when the
playoffs come out the prediction that way you could jump
in early on these odds or what you know.

Speaker 9 (58:34):
I think oftentimes when you see how the committee is
going to see these teams, it can create a little
bit of perception bias, and if anything, else you can
find paths for teams that aren't included in the top twelve.
Now this is the first year going into this kind
of format, so you know a lot of the folks
that I've spoken to don't have some of that same
kind of liability in their futures portfolio trying to back
teams to win the national championship, because when you look

(58:56):
to identify a team that can fly under the radar,
it's all about pass and first, potentially a Big twelve
champion that finishes fourth the five seed may end up
with a more advantageous road to try and be able
to get there. Then you know an SEC champion or
Big ten champion that gets slotted two and could potentially
play a seventh seed in that opening round or the
second round of the playoffs. They should say that could

(59:19):
set up a Ohio State maybe against an Old Miss,
which isn't going to be nearly as daunting as say
the five seeds. Should that be a team like Notre
Dame that gets to go play the Big twelve champion,
whether it's a BYU, Iowa State or a team to
be named later in that four or five matchup. So
all things that you have to kind of factor in,
and it's going to take on a very similar field
to the NCAA tournament, where it's all about path and

(59:41):
matchup more so than just overall seeding.

Speaker 5 (59:44):
Absolutely, I can't wait to see everyone freak out when
there's only one Big twelve team tomorrow night or one
AC seed team tomorrow night, because it's it's going to
be very heavy SEC Big ten on that front. Hey,
today was a weird day for Philadelphia, was it not?
Is Siriannia taking time bomb is an evil genius? What

(01:00:04):
do you make of how he's handled things at Philadelphia
in the game that they won but really had no
business being that close.

Speaker 9 (01:00:11):
Yeah, I won't put genius in that phrase by any stretch.
I do think that offensively, this team can get it
figured out. I think Kellen Moore is still a guy
that's figuring out exactly what he has with some of
their offensive pieces in Philadelphia, He's had a tailor of
the offense a little bit more for Jalen hurt skill set,
and I'm sure he would like with a true drop
back pocket passer. Meanwhile, on defensive side, look Vic Fangio

(01:00:34):
schemes take a while for groups to kind of begin
to understand and flow and start playing the way that
they need to at the highest level. So I think
Philadelphia is a team we're going to keep tabs on,
although they did suffer injury and it's going to be
interesting to monitor if AJ Brown is available for their
showdown this weekend against Dallas, a game at least on paper,
that doesn't appear to be all that daunting with Philly

(01:00:55):
projected to be right around a touchdown road favorite, but
I do expect Dallas to get some reinforced on the
defensive side. I would be shocked if Michael Parsons and
Deron Bland are ruled out. But the problem for the
Cowboys is it doesn't appear that Dak Prescott will be
under center that we could be entreated to a Cooper
Rush type performance given the hamstring injury that appears Dak
suffered and you can see the grimace on his face

(01:01:16):
in real time.

Speaker 2 (01:01:17):
You know, Todd, Now that we're halfway through the season,
you think, you know, maybe the Rams were expecting to
have a good year, that maybe they're turning it around.
Maybe you can get some good odds on them, or
maybe the same thing with the forty nine Ers who
everybody thought they were a shoeing to, you know, go
far in the playoffs. They're only at four and four.
Can you get good value on them right now?

Speaker 9 (01:01:38):
You know? I'm not running about the forty nine ers
when we look at their schedule all coming up over
the latter portion, they don't have a ton of rest
and for a team that's a little bit older dealing
with some injuries, I have some legitimate concerns. I don't
think that everything that has gone wrong for the forty
nine ers to their first eight games suddenly turns around
coming out of the buy. Even if they do get
a healthy Christian McCaffrey that's capable of taking on, you know,

(01:01:58):
a fifteen to twenty touch workload going forward. The Rams
are an interesting team though, And the reason I say
that is because you look at what the Rams have
on the defensive side of the ball. It's a very
young group that we started to see penet the years
back and come after Gino Smith today. Now, the Seahawks
offensive line had a lot to do with it, but
that Florida State tannem of, Jared Versu and Braden Fisk
extremely dynamic. I think the secondary is a little bit underrated.

(01:02:21):
So if you're looking for a dark horse team, look
Matthew Stafford, the aging wonder still makes the throws that
leave you scratching your head in terms of how he's
able to do that. No greater illustration than of the
game winning touchdown pass he threw in overtime on the
move to try and find his receiver open in the
end zone. So I think, you know, that's a team
that makes some sense and in the AFC. While it's
a little bit more of a difficult pass, I'm very

(01:02:41):
curious to see what we get from the Bengals on
Thursday night. I'm sure week against the Ravens if t
Higgins quad injury allows him to play. But anytime you
have a quarterback and some of the offensive weapons like
a team like the Bengals do working for them, I
wouldn't hesitate to maybe dabble a little bit there with
a four and five team that I think just has
to get into the AFC players And there's no reason
for me to believe that they're not in that second

(01:03:03):
tier behind Kansas City and Baltimore.

Speaker 5 (01:03:05):
Holy smokes, just real quick before I ask a final question,
the Raiders not only fire their offensive coordinator, They fired
their offensive line coach and their quarterbacks coach. Though if
I was Rick Escangrello and you gave me An O'Connell
and Gardner Minshew to work with, I might have resigned
before the season even started.

Speaker 3 (01:03:23):
So there's a little bit more on the breaking news tonight.

Speaker 5 (01:03:25):
Hey, you got anything early where you feel like could
be profitable in the college basketball world to get underway tomorrow?

Speaker 3 (01:03:31):
You watch it anything or we just tuned in on football.

Speaker 6 (01:03:34):
You know what?

Speaker 9 (01:03:34):
I know the Baylord and Zaga game will be front
center for a lot of the college basketball fans. But
quite frankly, playing I didn't realize until about seventy two
hours that the team was scheduled to get going. That's
how immersed that get into football. Saw of course our
beloved NASCAR, which had a tremendous finish today at Martinsville.
So we'll get a good final four. But you mentioned
some of the firings, and I think you know Luke
Getsy wasn't a great fit coming in. And look, these

(01:03:57):
are coaches that probably might be thankful they've been get
in their pink slip and don't have to endure with
the silver and Black for the remainder the season, much
to your chagrin.

Speaker 5 (01:04:05):
I would have follow up real quack Guardia on one
thing because I know you'll never ask about it.

Speaker 3 (01:04:09):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:04:10):
If I felt like Christopher Bell should have been booted
like he was today.

Speaker 9 (01:04:15):
I think that was a little bit of a rough call.
I know it's in the rule book after we saw
the hail melon and Christopher Bell, of course everyone's favorite
driver in the state of Oklahoma. I don't think that's
what the rule was in place for. But look, NASCAR
becomes a reality show, much like we saw earlier in
the day in F one, and it just so happens
the twenty four of William Byron happens to race for

(01:04:37):
the leading team in the entire sport. So I can't
imagine that being a Hendrick Motorsport driver being the only
one to get into the final four didn't factor into
that equation in some capacity, and probably why Joe Gibbs
was not willing to comment when Bob Hawkers tried to
get him get to him in the wake of that decision,
coming about twenty five minutes after they waved the checker
flag earlier today at the paper.

Speaker 2 (01:04:57):
Clip yeah, that was my question, but I'm gonna move
on from that. At that time, did you know that
my two team parlay paid ten thousand dollars?

Speaker 4 (01:05:06):
I don't know if you heard about that.

Speaker 9 (01:05:08):
Which which two team? Which you team did you have
in there? Did you have Central Florida to beat Arizona
by thirty no?

Speaker 4 (01:05:12):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:05:13):
Oh, oh painful, painful? No, I have smart in Vegas.
I sent my kid there. I bet a two team
parlay the Arizona Wildcats in basketball to win the championship
to the New York Knicks before they get Yannis, because
then the Lions are gonna go way down to win
the championship. Fifty dollars two team or pays ten g

(01:05:34):
I should put another nine hundred and fifty dollars down
so it pays two hundred thousand dollars.

Speaker 4 (01:05:38):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 9 (01:05:39):
You know, I think, Arnie, you should dig deep into
those couch cushions and try and definitely get down a
few extra dollars. Because when I think of a superstar
and a head coach combo, that is a match weight
and have and it is definitely Yannis Antonokompo playing for
Tom Thibodeau. I can't imagine how that could potentially ever
go poorly if that should somehow come to fruition.

Speaker 4 (01:05:56):
It's going poorly in Milwaukee right now. That's how it is,
Huh about that? Yeah?

Speaker 9 (01:06:00):
Yeah, I mean, look, weird things have happened along the way, Arnie,
So you can put your head on the pillar tonight
and wish for all sorts of great things for the
next I'm just not optimistic it's gonna happen.

Speaker 4 (01:06:10):
Thanks tot, have a great week, buddy.

Speaker 3 (01:06:12):
We really pleasure boys.

Speaker 6 (01:06:13):
Be good.

Speaker 3 (01:06:14):
Todd Furman.

Speaker 5 (01:06:15):
You can find him on Twitter at Todd Furman and
make sure you check out his podcast, the bet the
Board Podcast. Here he comes Steve di Seger with what's
trending on a busy night? What's going on?

Speaker 3 (01:06:23):
Steve?

Speaker 10 (01:06:23):
Well, you reference with the NASCAR race at Martinsville today.
Ryan Blaney was the winner, his third victory of the season.
He's the defending series champion. But this was the last
race before the finale at Phoenix next Sunday, and it
looked like Bell was going to get a spot in
the Championship four in a tiebreaker. The way he raced
hard to place better, and it turns out that his

(01:06:45):
car made contact with the outside wall and was scraping
along the bear the barrier, and so after the post
race discussion, NASCAR officials deemed the move a safety violation
and they dropped him to twenty second place, and that
gave someone else the spot. In fact, William Byron earns
the final spot and next Sunday's title event at Phoenix,

(01:07:06):
Blaney joins Penske teammates Joey Logano in next week's Championship
four and a Championship four driver for next week, Tyler Reddick,
who won last Sunday, only completed about four hundred and
fifty laps today finished thirty fourth. Blaney passed Chase Elliott
for the lead on lap for eighty six of the
five hundred. Elliott was eliminated from the playoffs along with
today's third place finisher Kyle Larson. Now, we do have

(01:07:28):
Monday Night football tomorrow at Kansas City, and there is
a chance of rain. In fact, it's due to rain
much of the day in case, and some showers could
linger for the primetime game at night. The Chiefs are
due to host Tampa Bay and then the next Sunday,
well seven days. Hence it's Kansas City hosting Denver, but
mid November, Kansas City will be at Buffalo and Buffalo

(01:07:51):
is now seven and two. After today's narrow victory, the
Raiders lost their fifth in a row, lost forty one
to twenty four at Kansas at Cincinnati is Joe Burrow
had five touchdown passes. Las Vegas fired offensive coordinator Luke
Getsey tonight. According to NFL Network, Getsy had been the
Bears offensive coordinator in the last couple of years, but
was fired.

Speaker 8 (01:08:11):
At the end of last season.

Speaker 10 (01:08:12):
Did the Bears do anything on offense the last couple
of years that made.

Speaker 8 (01:08:16):
You say that guy?

Speaker 4 (01:08:18):
Absolutely?

Speaker 8 (01:08:20):
So that was Antonio Pierce's got this offseason? Okay?

Speaker 10 (01:08:23):
So, now AP in the Bay Area points out this
is four times in five seasons the Raiders have changed
coordinator or coach in the middle of the season, and
officially in the last five games with gatsyzoc four touchdowns
on the five opening drives, but only four other touchdowns
on fifty other drives these last five games, and three

(01:08:44):
of those four tds came in the final.

Speaker 8 (01:08:46):
Minutes when the Raiders were down big.

Speaker 10 (01:08:48):
So the Raiders currently stand going into the bye week
absolute worst in turnovers.

Speaker 8 (01:08:53):
In the league.

Speaker 10 (01:08:54):
They've committed nineteen. They're absolute worst in yards per carry,
they have no ground game, near bottom five in points
per game and in passer rating, and they are in
the bottom five in yards per plus the worst.

Speaker 3 (01:09:06):
Time Miami shee I might drink during the last hour
of the show. I'm just gonna warn you guys.

Speaker 10 (01:09:10):
And a little context to the Raiders now, going back
twenty two seasons, they have started two and seven or
worse for almost half the time over the last couple
of decades.

Speaker 8 (01:09:21):
So bad, yikes, so bad.

Speaker 4 (01:09:23):
So where's Terry Lemonica when you need them?

Speaker 8 (01:09:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 10 (01:09:26):
The Mad Bombers Cincinnati beat Vegas today. The Buffalo win
against Miami was thirty to twenty seven, and it came
on a sixty one Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:09:33):
Of course, but it would have been good for one
hundred and.

Speaker 8 (01:09:36):
Five seconds left of Miami's two and six.

Speaker 4 (01:09:38):
This is an extra point bowl. Make a sixty one
yard yeah.

Speaker 10 (01:09:41):
I mean, for all the guys that have been hitting
fifty yard field goals, he wasn't one of them this year.
And then okay, just moving back to sixty one and
everything's fine. Minnesota wins at home tonight, beating the Colts
twenty one to thirteen, Justin Jefferson's seven receptions one hundred
and thirty seven yards Sam Darnold in the win, three
touchdown passes, three turnovers. At Seattle, Gino Smith three touchdowns,

(01:10:03):
three interceptions, two costly ones in the fourth quarter, and
the Rams came back for an overtime win against the
Seahawks twenty six twenty Philadelphia and Arizona with victories. Detroit
won at sixth in a row, wins for Washington seven
and two for Baltimore, which is six and three. Falcons
beat Dallas Atlanta six and three, Chargers and Carolina each one,

(01:10:24):
and Tennessee in overtime beat New England twenty to seventeen.
Oregon and Georgia are still one two in the new
college football polls. Penn State dropped to number six in AP,
Indiana nine and Oho is up to number eight in
the country, and SMU is number thirteen. Oregon got all
sixty two votes for number one in the AP pole.
But the first playoff ranking, you know, the one that counts,

(01:10:46):
comes out on Tuesday, and we'll get that every Tuesday
until the playoff bracket is announced in about a month.
December the eighth this Saturday. On the schedule, Georgia at
ol Miss Bulldogs haven't traveled to Oxford, Mississippi since they
lost badly there eight years ago. Alabama is at LSU
Saturday this Friday night on Fox TV, Iowa at UCLA

(01:11:07):
Saturday afternoon on Fox Number twenty one, Colorado at Texas
Tech and the gold gloves were given out in Major
League Baseball tonight. They include in the American League winners
at short stuff for the Royals, Bobby Witt Junior and
Houston third baseman Alex Sprigman. In the National League, San Francisco,
catcher Patrick Bailey won a Gold Glove, as did Giants
third baseman Matt Chapman. The gold glove pitcher in the

(01:11:30):
NL Atlanta's Chris Sale As I recall, Matt Chapman was
a high school teammate in Orange County of Nolan, Ernado,
who won ten Gold Gloves his first ten years in
thew They were on the same high school team.

Speaker 8 (01:11:40):
What is going on?

Speaker 10 (01:11:41):
The votes of the Major league's managers and coaches make
up seventy five percent of this tally. The other twenty
five percent came from defensive stats.

Speaker 5 (01:11:49):
Back to you thanks Steve. Yeah, five time gold Glover
from Matt Chapman. Awesome, awesome story. All right it' Staratine
Plant coming to you lie from the tyrack dot Com studios.
Now coming up in about twenty minutes from now, we'll
play our regular game of this would be Roman numeral
number three after week nine. We know this, but in fairness,

(01:12:10):
we've got to give credit where credit is due, because
the nature Boy already has let us know what he
learned this week, So you ready rapid fire things from
from at Eddie M eight one to four.

Speaker 3 (01:12:23):
What we learned this week.

Speaker 5 (01:12:25):
The Dodgers have been severely pretending they weren't bothered by
the illegitimate World Series comments. We knew it all along.
What we learned this week. There's only two more days
of horrific political commercials to endure what we learned this week.
It's probably a good idea for Geno Smith to avoid
listening to the Malard monologue tonight at all cost.

Speaker 3 (01:12:47):
Oh, by the way.

Speaker 5 (01:12:48):
Speaking of that and what we learned this week, the
biggest highlight for the Yankees turned out to be the
obnoxious Mooki ball grabbers.

Speaker 4 (01:12:57):
But those guys, what's gonna have with them.

Speaker 2 (01:13:00):
Are they going to be able to make money off
that little situation money?

Speaker 3 (01:13:04):
Sure they will, Sure they will.

Speaker 5 (01:13:06):
Yeah, I mean as soon as it happened, immediately, Yeah,
people like Portnoy and PMT and they're like, we gotta
find these guys, and then they of course Gronk went
to school with them. Now did he go to the
University of Arizona. I don't think it was college. I
think it was high school, wasn't it.

Speaker 4 (01:13:24):
No, University of Arizona was, So there you go.

Speaker 3 (01:13:26):
They Gronk already knows him.

Speaker 4 (01:13:29):
The guy was on the hockey team.

Speaker 5 (01:13:31):
Well, I gotta be honest with you, I think they
should be banned. I don't think that's a move that
we should be celebrating as a sidey at all.

Speaker 3 (01:13:40):
Oh that was bush league, man, it.

Speaker 4 (01:13:42):
Was completely bush.

Speaker 2 (01:13:43):
And what was worse about it the other guy grabbed
Muki's wrist started yanking him up into the crowd there. So,
I mean, if they're smart, they should do like commercials
were like, if anybody's trying to rob you, and you
show these guys doing it themookie and get the securities
the something. But that was completely Yeah, I'm crazy. I've
never seen anything.

Speaker 4 (01:14:04):
That before they're pulling them.

Speaker 2 (01:14:06):
Up and then the guy's digging through Mookie's glove to
take the ball out like they're gonna say, hey, you
know it's all fair in he's in the crowd there.

Speaker 4 (01:14:13):
That was. That's absolutely nuts.

Speaker 3 (01:14:15):
We protect our wall. Get out of here. Well done,
nature boy, well done.

Speaker 5 (01:14:19):
All right, when we come back, let's hit all the news,
numbers and notes from NFL's week number nine.

Speaker 3 (01:14:25):
Next on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (01:14:28):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio all right, already
playing on a Fox Football Sunday. Say hello to our
man Steve Sager to get us caught up on all
the news and notes of the day and what we
missed out.

Speaker 3 (01:14:40):
What's going on Steve.

Speaker 10 (01:14:41):
Well, we'll talk about NFL flex scheduling and what might
be coming up. But first off, the Baltimore Ravens the
number one offense in the league and they beat Denver today.
Ravens were averaging about four hundred and fifty yards a game,
had about four hundred today. This game against Denver was
seventeen to ten, late first half, forty one ten, the
final forty one against a Broncos team that was allowing

(01:15:01):
just fifteen points per game. Lamar Jackson three touchdown passes,
Derrick Henry over one hundred yards rushing and two scores.
More on him in a moment, and Zay Flowers of
the Ravens five catches, one hundred and twenty seven yards
and two touchdowns. Lamar Jackson had a perfect passer rating
today for the fourth time in his career.

Speaker 4 (01:15:21):
Amazing.

Speaker 8 (01:15:21):
That is a wreck.

Speaker 10 (01:15:22):
Not even Tom Brady had done that at Peyton. Manning
also three times in his career. Kurt Warner Ben Roethlisberger
three perfect passer rating games in their careers. This is
four for Jackson and he's hardly over with his career.
And by the way, this is not perfect completion percentage,
it's the efficiency rating. He was sixteen of nineteen, but
sixteen completions for two hundred eighty yards, three touchdowns and

(01:15:45):
no interceptions.

Speaker 4 (01:15:46):
Wow.

Speaker 10 (01:15:46):
And Derrick Henry is over one hundred rushing touchdowns in
his career already for his first nine seasons. Sean Alexander
did that as well. But the only other guys on
the list one hundred rushing tds at this point of
their careers Jim Brown, emmittt Smith and number one Ladanian Tomlinson.

Speaker 8 (01:16:03):
The Hall of Famer.

Speaker 10 (01:16:04):
Tomlinson had one hundred and thirty eight rushing touchdowns his
first nine season, one oh one for Derek Henry. As
far as flex scheduling, we've talked about it because it's
been an option for the NFL for a while to
get out of perhaps bad matchups late in the season
on Sunday Night football. What's new for this season, it's
there's possibility of flex scheduling for a Monday night or

(01:16:25):
a Thursday night evening. There's even a possibility that they
could take the NFL a one pm Eastern game and
move it to four pm Eastern on a Sunday for
a bigger audience. But the big thing is for Sunday
Night football, because once we are here, we are ending
week number nine this weekend in the NFL. Once we
get to week eleven. From there on, it's at the
whim of the NFL, as they call it, their discretion

(01:16:48):
to move a game in or out, such as tonight.
That's how the discussion started this evening. Originally Colt said
Vikings was not the Sunday night game. It was Jacksonville
at Philadelphia. Well, a couple weeks ago, they need two
weeks notice that was flexed out and the Vikings game
was flexed into tonight. So what we missed was the
Jacksonville offense getting one first down in the first half

(01:17:09):
today and two turnovers as they lost at Philadelphia, falling
behind twenty two to nothing. Eagles twenty eight twenty three
was the final, but first half Jacksonville had eighteen plays
thirty one yards of offense. Wow, there is a possibility now,
starting week eleven we could get Sunday night flex without
a limit, and starting week twelve maybe a Monday nighter,

(01:17:30):
and starting week thirteen, maybe a Thursday nighter, although that
being a completely different day of the week, they would
need four weeks.

Speaker 8 (01:17:37):
Notice for that type of thing.

Speaker 10 (01:17:38):
And I still hate that idea that if somebody bought
tickets for a Sunday NFL game, that it gets moved
to a different day, not just a different start time
on Sunday, but to a completely different day, a work day.

Speaker 8 (01:17:49):
I don't think that's fair to ticket holders.

Speaker 4 (01:17:51):
Oh, life's not fair to say, you're well.

Speaker 10 (01:17:53):
Clearly yes, you're quoting President Kennedy. There life is unfaila.
He did say his excit looking at head to what
they might flex The last two games on the Sunday
night schedule for late December are Tampa Bay at Dallas
who knows what the Cowboys will be come close to Christmas,
and late December, it's two and six Miami at two

(01:18:13):
and seven Cleveland is what schedule right now, I'll go ahead,
without interviewing anybody, I'll go ahead and say a good
chance for replacing that Dolphins at brown Sunday night game
in late December. There's a Falcons at Washington game that
has not been a signed a start time yet. And
if your game has not been given a kickoff time,

(01:18:35):
you're eligible to be flexed. So that's a possibility for
late December. And then of course once we get to
week eighteen, as we've seen for years, nobody has a
kickoff time yet, they're gonna wait till like a week
before we'll find out what the final.

Speaker 8 (01:18:48):
Primetime game will be and all of that.

Speaker 10 (01:18:50):
And as we close, the Rams had an impressive comeback
win for overtime at Seattle, in part because of a
rookie safety in the fourth quarter. Cameron Kitchens not only
intercepted Gino Smith in the end zone, he didn't take
a knee, he ran it out and wound up running
one hundred and three yards the other way for a
touchdown and the lead early fourth quarter. It turns out
that tied an NFL record from nineteen twenty six for

(01:19:13):
longest interception return for a TD by a rookie in
the history of the league. You mentioned Tyler Bass, the
Buffalo kicker with the game winning sixty one yard field goal.
That puts him on a list of less than ten
kickers in history to have the game winner be from
that far out in the last two minutes or in overtime.

Speaker 3 (01:19:34):
Good stuff, Steve.

Speaker 5 (01:19:35):
All right, really, when we come back to the Tirack
dot Com studios, we'll let you know what we learn.
We'll dive into all the fun that was Week nine
of the NFL, plus a quick sneak peek of what
the twelve team playoff rankings will look like Tuesday night.
The first ever playoff rankings with the expanded field to

(01:19:56):
twelve should be fascinating. So all coming up in what
Arnie calls the Power Hour right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (01:20:03):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 3 (01:20:07):
Power Hour?

Speaker 4 (01:20:08):
Yes, quick, get right, Power Hour, Power Hour of the show.
Lots to get through this.

Speaker 5 (01:20:15):
Hour broadcasting live from the ti rack dot com studios.
Tyrack dot com will help you get there. I'm unmatched
a selection, fast, free shipping, free road hazard protection, and
over ten thousand recommended installers. Ti rack dot com the
way tire buying should be.

Speaker 3 (01:20:29):
Yes, my friends, any big plans this week?

Speaker 4 (01:20:31):
Aren't you gonna go to umso A couple? You know
what's funny you mentioned that. Two things I want to
get to.

Speaker 3 (01:20:36):
One.

Speaker 2 (01:20:36):
I don't know if you saw my tweet earlier. You know,
I have like close to one hundred uh Duncan Donut
gift cards and they all went expired on me on
the thirty first of October. But I tweeted that out
and Duncan Donuts tweeted me back and said, get a
hold of them.

Speaker 4 (01:20:53):
So maybe there's something they could do.

Speaker 3 (01:20:54):
Why did you have so many?

Speaker 2 (01:20:55):
I'd take them from everybody's desk from Fox, like Ryan
Bersching or a producer takes them off people's desks and
sends it to me.

Speaker 4 (01:21:03):
Two, this is the wave of the future. I don't
know if you know this. I actually put it down. No,
you're talking about it. M I going to any games.

Speaker 2 (01:21:11):
I actually put it down in the Rundown, but I
know we're never going to get to it.

Speaker 4 (01:21:14):
A long time ago, when I when I was a
kid in college.

Speaker 2 (01:21:16):
I went to see the Dolphin Charger game in San
Diego and it was sold out and at the last
minute they put like a bleacher in the corner of
the end zone and charge people twenty bucks. It was
like last minute thing. Did you see the seats for
the Jake Paul Tyson fight.

Speaker 5 (01:21:36):
I saw they had one suite that was like two
million dollars.

Speaker 4 (01:21:40):
That's the wave of the future. A suite that was
two million.

Speaker 2 (01:21:43):
Dollars that's built right next to the to the ring,
like it's an extension of the ring. You get to
be like in a pre fight locker room and get
to see Tyson, and you get to see Jake Paul,
and you get to do I mean, get to do
all this cool stuff. I mean literally, it's like you're
almost in the ring, Chris, I mean you're outside the ring,

(01:22:07):
but you're right there.

Speaker 4 (01:22:08):
That's the wave of the future.

Speaker 2 (01:22:09):
If people can afford that, there'll be selling seats like that,
that that's incredible.

Speaker 4 (01:22:13):
That's crazy. You know, if you would love that, I know, sure.

Speaker 5 (01:22:16):
I think everyone would, but I mean, if I had
two million dollars, and I mean I'd want to watch
an actual, real sporting event. The more we get closer
to this, the more of a just absolute farce I
think it is. We're eleven days away. Do you know
that November fifteenth is when that fight's gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (01:22:33):
Are you excited? Are you gonna watch?

Speaker 2 (01:22:35):
Yes, I'm definitely going to watch. That's when I saw that,
I'm like, Wow, that's I got two million dollars. Just
that's pricey. I don't know what they could do in
the NFL or baseball. I know, you know they have those,
they have those suites that are like level and stuff.
But you got to up the game that like in boxing.
Why you're right there, Yeah, you've got to.

Speaker 3 (01:22:53):
You have them.

Speaker 5 (01:22:54):
What are you talking about? You have sweets in the
NFL that are field level, that are up top. I
mean you have this, what mean the wave of the future.
You need something better.

Speaker 2 (01:23:02):
You need like a suite on the fifty yard line
and making the thing around you like on the field,
or's something or in the back of the end zoner
or just something there.

Speaker 3 (01:23:12):
Yeah, you've been a Jerry world.

Speaker 4 (01:23:14):
Yeah, that's true. That's true, Jerry, they're there.

Speaker 3 (01:23:16):
But I I see what you're saying.

Speaker 5 (01:23:17):
It looked pretty amazing because it included a trip to
the locker room, as you said, and all this extra access.

Speaker 3 (01:23:24):
But two million dollars.

Speaker 4 (01:23:26):
Is that per Is that just for the whole suite?

Speaker 2 (01:23:27):
Right?

Speaker 3 (01:23:28):
So it's up it better be. Is this thing even
a real fight?

Speaker 4 (01:23:34):
I think? So I'm taking this as a real night.
You can bet on it.

Speaker 3 (01:23:38):
You know.

Speaker 4 (01:23:38):
So, Oh, you can't bet on the election?

Speaker 3 (01:23:43):
Are you saying the election is fake too?

Speaker 6 (01:23:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:23:45):
I'm not.

Speaker 8 (01:23:47):
A bunch of stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:23:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:23:50):
They've agreed to some modifications to the standard boxing rules,
but it has been sanctioned. The changes include a maximum
of eight two minute rounds. Additionally, fourteen ounce gloves will
be used as opposed to twelve ounce gloves.

Speaker 2 (01:24:05):
I bet you out of all listeners right now, seventy
five percent want to watch it.

Speaker 4 (01:24:10):
We'll watch that fight. Seven want to watch a five
seventy five percent, yeah, three quarters.

Speaker 5 (01:24:15):
Then it will be one of the most watched sporting
events ever. And a lot of sports fans listening right now, Arenie.
We're not being covered up by anything right now. I
don't know many people that are doing live shows locally
at midnight Central one am Eastern.

Speaker 3 (01:24:28):
That's true with large audience right now.

Speaker 4 (01:24:30):
So I just think there's a big, you know, crew
out there that wants to really watch this thing.

Speaker 3 (01:24:36):
I think people want to see Jake Paul get knocked out.

Speaker 2 (01:24:38):
Oh, I want to see Tyson knock him on his backside.

Speaker 4 (01:24:42):
Absolutely.

Speaker 5 (01:24:43):
Let's get to what really matters. The week nine National
Football League your tweet's coming up. Highlights of the day
coming up, including that incredible finish between the Bills and
the Dolphins.

Speaker 3 (01:24:52):
We're not talking about it.

Speaker 5 (01:24:53):
But Arenie Roman numeral number three to Caick go hour
number three after week nine NFL, right at in that
past halfway point for some teams. I know this, after
week nine, I know this. Where do you want to start?

Speaker 4 (01:25:08):
I'll tell you.

Speaker 2 (01:25:09):
And then we brought this up earlier, and I was
looking at this, matter of fact, even before we brought
it up, before the show started. After nine weeks, I
know this. There is a lot of bad teams in
the NFL. I don't know if this is something new
or it's happened before.

Speaker 4 (01:25:23):
I mean, look at all the.

Speaker 2 (01:25:24):
Two win teams you have in the AFC and the NFC,
and I don't know if there's as bad as the
record shows, but that's a lot of teams that are,
you know, pretty much not mathematically eliminated, but pretty much eliminated.

Speaker 4 (01:25:36):
For many playoff rates. That's all boats.

Speaker 2 (01:25:39):
There's like ten teams that have like two wins or less,
ten ten eleven teams.

Speaker 4 (01:25:44):
That's a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:25:45):
I don't know, I've got to be like that, but
you know, I thought parody meant, you know that there
wouldn't be so many bad teams there at the bottom.

Speaker 4 (01:25:52):
But that's a lot of bad records down there. Chris.

Speaker 5 (01:25:55):
Yeah, and it's unfortunate because I mean, I'll just I'm
trying to be a Raider homer here, right, but I
think I'll even stand up for the Saints too. A
lot of those two wins team two win teams are
pretty close to being good. The Saints lost Derek Carr
for three games, and he's had a nice season when

(01:26:16):
he's healthy. Your Dolphins, how many games do you lose?

Speaker 3 (01:26:19):
Two of four?

Speaker 5 (01:26:20):
I thought the bye week or yeah, ever it was, so,
I mean that's four games there. The Raiders are two
and seven, and I mean they've been tight in games
in the fourth quarter and somehow get their asses kicked.

Speaker 3 (01:26:31):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:26:32):
I don't know what happens in those fourth quarters. I
can't make a case for Jacksonville or New England. But
it's wild because there's a couple of teams that have
been in a lot of one score slash one possession
games that just can't get over that hum so. And
it's wild because you know who's right there with all
of them.

Speaker 3 (01:26:50):
The Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 4 (01:26:51):
Yeah, they have three wins them in. The Jets have
three wins each.

Speaker 5 (01:26:54):
YEO who after week nine? I know this, it ain't work.
It's not work. I think Dak's gonna be out for
a little bit, Arnie. I don't think we didn't get
any updates after the game, but in watching his face
and the pain that was on his face, those hamstring
injuries not good and it's tough to come back from.

(01:27:17):
And oh, by the way, Ceedee Lamb got hurt in
that game too. He's dealing with a shoulder injury, and
that things aren't going to get any easier for the
Dallas Cowboys going forward.

Speaker 3 (01:27:29):
Now.

Speaker 5 (01:27:29):
I'm not going to go as far as saying it's
O V er over, but it's getting close. Yeah, because
next week. Here's the next three games for the Cowboys
three and five football team. Right, They've got the Eagles
at home, They've got the Texans Monday night football with
you me. You know that's that's in two weeks, so
maybe the Texans can get healthy.

Speaker 3 (01:27:50):
Oh then they turn around to play the Commanders.

Speaker 5 (01:27:52):
And by the way, if you want to really dig in,
after they play the Commander's Arnie, it's the Thanksgiving Day game.
So that is two games in the span of four days.
Even if the Giants suck, I mean, you're still playing
them on short rest. So after week and nine, I
know this, it ain't working for Dallas and Cooper Cush

(01:28:13):
Cooper Rush isn't coming through that door to save this season.
And how about how about Zeke of all the guys
that you know what I mean, how do you miss meetings?

Speaker 3 (01:28:25):
I mean, you're you're.

Speaker 4 (01:28:26):
More than one multiple meetings.

Speaker 3 (01:28:28):
I'm thinking about the guy the Bengals today too.

Speaker 5 (01:28:31):
I never want to make it about money and say
you're paying getting paid all this way, But you're getting
paid all this money to play football, and it's it's
a lot that they ask you to do, but they
pay you a lot and you're getting a lot of
opportunities in Dallas, Zeke, and that's how you repay them.

Speaker 4 (01:28:48):
And you want to come back badly too. His career
is on life support. It's over now.

Speaker 5 (01:28:54):
His career is over, and you're not showing up for meetings.
So I'm not trying to pile. I know there's a
lot of Cowboy fans that are frustrated like we are.
And we got a great affiliate with the probably the
greatest sports radio station on the planet and the Ticket
in Dallas. But Alreadie, after week nine, I know this.
It's just it's not working in the Cowboys. They might
be done for twenty twenty four, which is wild.

Speaker 2 (01:29:15):
Chris after week nine, I know this, my friend. Thank goodness,
the bosses don't listen to our show. But if they
did listen to the show and they called us up
and they said, you're guys, your picks are horrible, but
we're gonna give you one last chance. You get to
make the one pick for the Super Bowl to save
your jobs. Who's your pick gonna be? My pick is
going to be the Detroit Lions because right now they're

(01:29:37):
the best team in the NFL. And if I'm going
one team to save my job. It's gonna be the
Lions with the way they get right now.

Speaker 3 (01:29:45):
Gotta keep Jared Goff healthy.

Speaker 4 (01:29:47):
Ye I like yeah, I like him a lot. Hey, Nakan,
who are you picking to save your job?

Speaker 3 (01:29:52):
To save my job? The Chiefs.

Speaker 4 (01:29:57):
Don't be so sure.

Speaker 5 (01:29:59):
I mean, if you're asking me, they come to me.
Your job is on the line. As much as it
pains me, I'm gonna take the two time defending champs
who are currently seven.

Speaker 3 (01:30:11):
And zero on the season.

Speaker 5 (01:30:13):
Call me crazy, I got I got one for you.
And this isn't me trying to make you feel good
about anything. Okay, but after week and nine, I know this.
I don't think any of the two and seven or
two and six football teams right now are gonna make
the playoffs. Lions came pretty close a couple of years ago.
I remember the Resurgens whenever Dan Campbell's team turned it around.

(01:30:37):
They beat the Packers on the final day of the
regular season. But if any of these two win teams
are gonna turn it around and make the playoffs, it's
the Miami Dolphins, o fee.

Speaker 3 (01:30:48):
Because the schedule is favorable.

Speaker 5 (01:30:53):
Listen, I know the Rams had to fight and scratch
and claw thanks to Gino Smith throwing a freaking pick
six today?

Speaker 4 (01:31:03):
What was it?

Speaker 9 (01:31:05):
Was it?

Speaker 3 (01:31:05):
One hundred yard pick six? Is that what it was?
And he throwed in the end zone in that so
it's it was that, right, a hundred yard pick six
of that game.

Speaker 5 (01:31:17):
So I'm not gonna get too carried away about you
guys getting your butts kicked by the Rams next week.
The Raiders are a gimmy. The Patriots are a gimmy.
The Packers are kind of a disaster right now. Even
though you're going to Green Bay. I mean, that's four
potential wins right there. They get you back to five
hundred too, what's gotta stay healthy again.

Speaker 3 (01:31:36):
I don't think it's gonna happen.

Speaker 5 (01:31:37):
But of the two win teams right now, Arnie, I
think the Dolphins have the best chance to turn it around.

Speaker 4 (01:31:45):
They may, they may. I mean, I'm still not hope,
you know, counting on anything, but they're not gonna win
the division. If they have any chance to get in,
obviously it's gonna have to be for the wild Guard.

Speaker 3 (01:31:55):
Well, sure, count out the division.

Speaker 5 (01:31:57):
Just think about turning it around, Think about going from
being dog to being respectable.

Speaker 3 (01:32:03):
I think they got a chance to do that. I
don't think the Cowboys do.

Speaker 4 (01:32:07):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:32:08):
The Cowboys so disappointing, man, I mean after week nine,
I know this, you said they got to blow it up.
Jerry Jones has got to stop being the general manager.
I really don't know how many decisions he actually makes
or if he just likes having the title and the
Steven calling the shots.

Speaker 4 (01:32:24):
I'm really not sure how much it is.

Speaker 2 (01:32:26):
But whatever they do, they didn't come into this season
prepared to win the whole thing. They never did anything
about running back. Henry wanted to be on the team.
He was pretty much begging to be on the team.
He needed a running back out there the whole seasons.
The whole season, well, they said they couldn't, but they
gave me, I'm kidding Deck all that money.

Speaker 4 (01:32:46):
You know, they really.

Speaker 2 (01:32:47):
Got the whole season go right through their win fingers,
especially when they had two good years up leading up
till now. Shame on them for letting it get to
this point, Chris, Really, it's horrible for the fans.

Speaker 5 (01:32:58):
By the way, Crazy Tanker does bring up a good point.
He right, say goodbye to the Lions. Aren't you just
gave them the kiss of death.

Speaker 4 (01:33:04):
Wow, I didn't even think about that. Yeah, right, I
mean my team, that's my shutouts.

Speaker 6 (01:33:10):
Please.

Speaker 3 (01:33:11):
Do you know the only team that's meeting the Lions
this year?

Speaker 4 (01:33:16):
Who would that be able to remember?

Speaker 3 (01:33:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:33:18):
We too, the Buccaneers. Yeah, that's your team. You know
they were one on one? Yeah, next few weeks at
Texans home for the Jaguars and then at the Colts.

Speaker 2 (01:33:28):
So at least are you gonna pick another teams for
the rest of the season or what with what the Raiders? Yeah,
now that they're eliminated and my team's eliminated, we're gonna
go with other teams?

Speaker 4 (01:33:37):
Or No?

Speaker 5 (01:33:38):
No, I mean that. Aren't you supposed to be a
real fan, aren't you the biggest fan of all of us?
Doesn't hurt you more when you're How do you just
jump to another team's bandwagon?

Speaker 3 (01:33:47):
You can't do that.

Speaker 4 (01:33:48):
I did say I was gonna jump to him. I'm
just asking you it was good to jump.

Speaker 3 (01:33:53):
No, No, I know you're in this.

Speaker 4 (01:33:56):
You can't.

Speaker 5 (01:33:56):
You can't suddenly say, oh, I'm going to root for
the Lions the rest of them. I loved Eric Hipple.

Speaker 2 (01:34:03):
I wried to my wife when I came upstairs after
watching the game and the Bills won, She goes, so
the Bills went on that.

Speaker 4 (01:34:08):
Field, go, I go, No, you didn't see what happened.
They said it was no good. They said there was
no time left on the clock.

Speaker 2 (01:34:14):
So when in the over diamond and the Dolphins won,
and she believed me too, I.

Speaker 5 (01:34:19):
Don't think she believed you. There's no way. Why would
she believe you.

Speaker 4 (01:34:23):
I don't know, because I'm just a bad person.

Speaker 3 (01:34:25):
I guess, well, here you go. I've got some proof
for you here if you want, there's.

Speaker 4 (01:34:28):
Gonna be a sixty one yarder from the left hash
with ten seconds remain, snap by Ferguson. Hold, bye, Martin kick.
My pass is long enough and it is good.

Speaker 11 (01:34:39):
Bob's away for Tyler past, Bob's it frum sixty one.

Speaker 4 (01:34:46):
It's a career, best for the Bills. Kitcher, unbelievable career.

Speaker 2 (01:34:51):
Best of course. I actually said to myself, there's no
blanking way this guy's gonna hit a sixty one yarder
to win the game. I got not gonna happen in
the announs, was like, I'm surpriser going for it.

Speaker 4 (01:35:02):
I thought they'd be doing a hell Mary there.

Speaker 3 (01:35:05):
Sean McDermott on the mental toughness of Tyler Bass.

Speaker 11 (01:35:09):
Here's a young man that has been going through it,
the journey that he's been on week to week, the
questions that have been asked of him, of me, it's natural,
it's the it's the business we're in. I think it's
a great example of mental toughness. I think it's a
great example of perseverance. Missed the extra point. I think
it was he was going to have to make a
kick later, and he made it. You know, this game
is as much mental as it is physical, and sometimes

(01:35:30):
even more mental.

Speaker 4 (01:35:30):
I couldn't be more proud of him. Yeah, I couldn't
be more proud of me either. Card Yeah, that was
pretty wild. Carried him off the field. I didn't think
he was gonna make it.

Speaker 3 (01:35:41):
I will say this after a week and nine, I
know this.

Speaker 5 (01:35:44):
Michael Thomas needs to put the phone down during football games. Dude,
Come on, what are you doing all right? Anything else
you want to add me?

Speaker 2 (01:35:54):
We was talking to Jay with Daniels and who else?
We're talking from the other team? Do you I forgot
who it was?

Speaker 4 (01:36:01):
Do you remember?

Speaker 3 (01:36:03):
That's a very generic way of asking something.

Speaker 2 (01:36:07):
Though they were like talking during the game and they're
on opposite teams.

Speaker 3 (01:36:11):
Melik Neighbors, Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:36:14):
So they were talking and people are like, that's way
out of line. That's way out of line to be
doing something like that. You can't get chummy during the game.
You want to talk to somebody after the game, that's fine,
but you can't be doing something like that.

Speaker 5 (01:36:28):
You know, who are those people? I'm just curious because
you're like, they shouldn't be. Who are the people that
are mad? Are they aren't he Spaniard because Jane Daniels
is awesome and Melik Neighbors is awesome and they're not
on your team.

Speaker 4 (01:36:43):
That might be one person.

Speaker 5 (01:36:48):
Come on, man, they went to college together, they played together.

Speaker 3 (01:36:51):
Give me a break, they can talk.

Speaker 5 (01:36:53):
I'd much rather see that bond from the college days
carry over to the NFL that anything in the NFL
affect that quick with that garbage.

Speaker 2 (01:37:02):
I give you your thirty second on did you see
that Cameron Black and Chip Coach from who was it
Luisiana mon Road where he just went ballistic.

Speaker 3 (01:37:10):
On a play?

Speaker 4 (01:37:11):
Did you make contact?

Speaker 3 (01:37:12):
You can't be did?

Speaker 5 (01:37:14):
What do you mean why the guy? Did the guy
screw something up? What a way, he's soft. Now do
your job.

Speaker 4 (01:37:21):
Didn't you get in trouble for that?

Speaker 8 (01:37:22):
Or no?

Speaker 3 (01:37:22):
Oh there, I can handle it.

Speaker 5 (01:37:24):
Internally, I think the kid even I think the kid
even said it too, you know. I think he was like, yeah,
you know, that's my coach. He apologized, Hey he plays
my gosh.

Speaker 3 (01:37:32):
Man. When I saw the outrage.

Speaker 5 (01:37:34):
I thought to myself, do you guys do people not
watch college football like that?

Speaker 3 (01:37:39):
That outside of him chasing him.

Speaker 5 (01:37:41):
Down on the sideline like this literally happens every single
game acting like that.

Speaker 4 (01:37:49):
My gym teacher chased me for about two miles. You
could run. Yeah, that was when I was in junior
high school for two miles. Do I get sucked into
the vortex Mary, No, I'm leslie.

Speaker 7 (01:38:04):
We kind of have to break, so I don't think
you should.

Speaker 8 (01:38:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:38:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:38:10):
When we come back to the track dot Com studios,
let's dive into your tweets and what you learn after
week nine on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 6 (01:38:17):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot Com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to
listen live.

Speaker 5 (01:38:29):
All right, it's Arnie A Plank roll in on a
Sunday night into a Monday morning. The uh, the Plank
family is very excited about Tuesday night.

Speaker 4 (01:38:39):
Arnie, what's going on Tuesday?

Speaker 3 (01:38:42):
Well, I mean it's the first twelve team playoff rankings.

Speaker 4 (01:38:46):
I thought you were talking about the election.

Speaker 3 (01:38:48):
What's that?

Speaker 5 (01:38:50):
Yeah, first twelve team playoff rankings. I think pretty much
everyone has the same feel. You're not gonna be shocked
by any of the teams that you say. I want
to hit on here real quick before we get to
your tweets. But the only real maybe kind of challenge

(01:39:10):
or what might make it interesting is how high Boise
State is if there's more than one ACC or more
than one big twelve team in and if Alabama is
in right now and now, I remember this is the
first so we had a long way to go right right, right,
But I think you're gonna quickly find out that.

Speaker 4 (01:39:31):
Is how people it's not the top twelve, so just
so they know, what.

Speaker 3 (01:39:34):
Do you mean? They do the top twenty five right
right right?

Speaker 5 (01:39:38):
But as of right now, there are four teams, according
to the ESPN Playoff Predictor, that have a ninety percent
chance or better of making the playoffs. It's Oregon Miami, Georgia,
and Ohio State the next highest percentage to make the
playoffs Texas, Indiana, Oh geez so tomorrow and I guess tomorrow,

(01:40:06):
I on the East coast in central time zone, Indiana's
not gonna be five, but expect Notre Dame to be
in that top twelve BYU obviously they're undefeated Big twelve.
I guess you could say contenders right now Boise State,
and then don't be surprised whenever Penn State and potentially

(01:40:26):
even Tennessee is still in that top two.

Speaker 2 (01:40:28):
Any team that you think is going to be our
witch team in the top twelve that comes out Tuesday.

Speaker 4 (01:40:34):
That you won't think will be there at the end.

Speaker 5 (01:40:38):
I hate to say it, but Indiana, right, I mean
they play in Michigan this weekend. Yeah, and they still
have the Ohio State game around the corner. Maybe BYU,
I think only one Big twelve's team, only one Big
twelve team is getting in, and I Sai Arnie, I
think there's a chance it might be Colorado.

Speaker 3 (01:40:59):
They things are going for the buffs right now.

Speaker 4 (01:41:02):
Colorado Kolo, I think he's gonna lose this weekend.

Speaker 5 (01:41:05):
Who they got this week Texas Tech Texas Tech with
a big win at Iowa State. This is also a
Texas Tech team that lost its two previous games and
really getting housed by Baylor.

Speaker 3 (01:41:15):
So they make no sense to me whatsoever.

Speaker 2 (01:41:17):
Well they got to do it this year because actually
in one of the tweets we got I agree with
Roger the Engineer.

Speaker 3 (01:41:24):
I blocked Roger the Engineer.

Speaker 2 (01:41:25):
What do you say, oh, says I keep telling you
Dion's going to be the next Cowboy coach.

Speaker 3 (01:41:30):
Dallas Cowboy coach.

Speaker 4 (01:41:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:41:33):
I I didn't think it would go this well for
Dion and Colorado. So for me, I don't know if
he's gonna go anywhere, aren't he. I think he's kind
of got things cooking there.

Speaker 4 (01:41:45):
I think if I'm Dion, i'd want to be the
cowboys next coach.

Speaker 5 (01:41:48):
Well, if you're the Cowboys, would you want to go
get Dion or would you want to try to make
a push for Bill Belichick.

Speaker 4 (01:41:54):
Oh that's a good point, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:41:56):
To the tweets. But just be watching. We'll have you covered.

Speaker 5 (01:41:59):
I think it's gonna drop it about six o'clock Central,
seventh Eastern, so that'll be what right in the middle
of the odd couple, so they'll have complete coverage.

Speaker 2 (01:42:07):
Do I get Diana and his son to play quarterback
and get rid of Dak Prescott somehow?

Speaker 3 (01:42:12):
Are you gonna be picking high enough?

Speaker 5 (01:42:15):
Well, he's deon. He'll figure out a way to get
that done. I think Shredor Sanders might be the first
quarterback off the board.

Speaker 2 (01:42:21):
He could be, but they can't Dion threaten him like
the Mannings did.

Speaker 5 (01:42:25):
Not sure, But are you gonna threaten because well, let
me look here. According to tankathon dot com, Yes, the
Dallas Cowboys would have the eleventh pick.

Speaker 3 (01:42:35):
In the draft.

Speaker 4 (01:42:36):
Yeah, that's not gonna court.

Speaker 3 (01:42:37):
That's crazy.

Speaker 5 (01:42:38):
Yeah, he's not gonna be there at eleven, especially with
the Raiders and the Saints, and can't.

Speaker 4 (01:42:41):
Have to pull against if you're gonna hire, maybe he.

Speaker 5 (01:42:43):
Will h Speaking of the Saints, Jason our buddy, Jason
b Diamond rights. The Saints formerly known as the Aints
are back to the Aints and their season and maybe
Dennis Allen's time as the coach ended today. So after
week nine, what he said is he knows that Dennis
Allen is done in New Orleans.

Speaker 3 (01:43:03):
He should be.

Speaker 2 (01:43:04):
How many of those coaches with those two win teams
are not going to be around for next year.

Speaker 4 (01:43:08):
That's what I'm curious about.

Speaker 3 (01:43:12):
Doug Peterson Jacksonville.

Speaker 4 (01:43:15):
What about the chemistry professor? Is he going to be back?

Speaker 3 (01:43:18):
That's your guy? What do you think?

Speaker 4 (01:43:21):
Gosh, I hope not so, I.

Speaker 5 (01:43:23):
Would say, Jacksonville, New Orleans. Does Cleveland make a coaching change?
And he's been there for a minute now.

Speaker 2 (01:43:33):
I know, I'm not so sure I'm going to make
a change there. I think I may go ahead and
keep him.

Speaker 5 (01:43:38):
I think the Raiders and the Titans will give their
guys one more year.

Speaker 3 (01:43:42):
What about the Giants?

Speaker 4 (01:43:43):
Does Dave Ball go not being the Raiders slow down there?
What the I mean? Do people want him going already? Geez?

Speaker 3 (01:43:50):
I said he's going to be back. Yeah, I don't
think he will.

Speaker 4 (01:43:53):
I don't think. I know he'll definitely be back, deth.

Speaker 3 (01:43:55):
No, that's what I said.

Speaker 5 (01:43:56):
The Titans and the Raiders, okay, the first year coach,
they'll be back.

Speaker 3 (01:44:01):
But what do you think of day Ball? You think
he's back with the Giants?

Speaker 4 (01:44:04):
I don't think so. I think enough.

Speaker 2 (01:44:07):
I think they want to go ahead and just make
wholesale changes there. So I think if Daniel Jones are
going to be gone. Also, why not go ahead and
make a get rid of everybody and start a new direction.

Speaker 5 (01:44:15):
Two other quick ones here and we'll get to Steve
and continue on the text tweets excuse me, Paul writes
an as an NFL head coach ever been fired mid
season after a win, because Nick Siriani probably should be. Yeah,
we joked about that earlier in the show and JJ
ball rights. Is it parody I see in the NFL
with a few good teams Chiefs, Lions, lesser degree maybe

(01:44:37):
Bills and Niners?

Speaker 6 (01:44:39):
Or is it horrible.

Speaker 5 (01:44:40):
Played, slash coached, slash officiated football. I don't believe the
brand is up to snuff so far this year. Let's go,
what do you think?

Speaker 2 (01:44:52):
I think that there? As you said earlier, these two
win teams, they're not as bad as they show. The
two and three win teams just a little a bad look.
But there is a lot of what is there ten
or eleven of them? I just didn't figure it was
going to be this many. I don't know if we've
had this many this far into the season. I don't
know if this is like a one time thing, or
maybe we just haven't noticed it before.

Speaker 5 (01:45:12):
Yeah, nine teams with two or fewer wins.

Speaker 3 (01:45:16):
I mean, there's no.

Speaker 5 (01:45:17):
One will just one win after the Panthers win today,
But nine teams with two or fewer wins so far
this year.

Speaker 4 (01:45:23):
It's crazy horrible.

Speaker 5 (01:45:24):
All right, one final time tonight before we really get
a good rogering of the tweets for the show tonight.

Speaker 3 (01:45:29):
Steve the Seger is in the house. What's going on, Steve?

Speaker 8 (01:45:31):
A couple of things for Tuesday.

Speaker 10 (01:45:32):
The NBA is going to be off then for Election days,
So they're gonna have fifteen NBA games on the schedule
tomorrow and stagger the start times. Some are starting at
you know, seven and then seven fifteen, seven thirty, seven,
forty five and throughout the night fifteen games in the NBA.

Speaker 3 (01:45:47):
Why are they taking the day off?

Speaker 10 (01:45:50):
They really really kind of like the yoh yeah, the
PSAs with the NFL make sure to vote the NBA
and the off season really like went for it and said, okay,
the whole league's going to be off on Election Day
and also Tuesday. Of course, the first college football playoff
ranking comes out. Yes, it's a twelve team playoff field.
Now that is the five highest ranked conference champions get

(01:46:12):
the automatic bids. We'll see if Boise State's a conference
champion and highly ranked, but the top four. If you're
in the top four a month from now, you get
a first round by that's right. First round playoff games
are going to be at campus sites before Christmas, and
then the quarterfinals in the bowl games. This year it's
Fiesta Bowl New Year's Eve. The other three quarterfinals are

(01:46:32):
on New Year's Day. The Rose Bowl negotiated to always
be in its regular New Year's time slot and therefore
always be a quarterfinal. There is an NFL game to
report on from Minnesota Tonight. The Vikings were hosting the Colts.
The game was seven to seven late third quarter twenty
one to thirteen, Vikings the final Colts in the first half,
four drives, five first downs under ten minutes time of possession.

(01:46:54):
Joe Flacco finished with one interception, one fumble. Indies only
touchdown tonight came on a fumbal return. Sam Darnold three
touchdown passes in the win, three turnovers as well sacked
four times. At Seattle. In the Seahawks overtime loss to
the Rams twenty six to twenty. Gino Smith three touchdowns,
three interceptions, sacked, seven times. Cooper Cup eleven catches one

(01:47:16):
hundred four yards rams. Wide receiver Puka Nakua did play
despite the bad knee, but he got kicked out when
he threw a punch. Receiver DK Metcalf was out today
for Seattle with a knee injury. Philadelphia led Jacksonville twenty
two to nothing in the third quarter, twenty eight to
twenty three. The final Saquon Barkley one hundred and fifty
nine yards rushing two total touchdowns. Eagles have won four

(01:47:37):
in a row, but wide receiver aj Brown left today
with a knee injury. The Jaguars in this loss, first
seven drives, they only had one first down. Arizona beat
Chicago twenty nine to nine. It was twenty one to
nine at the half thanks to three touchdown runs while
Chicago had three field goals. Arizona in the final seconds
before halftime had a fifty three yard touchdown run. Somehow,

(01:48:00):
I'm not saying this is the equivalent of the Hail
Mary loss, but honestly, how does this happen? Cardinals defense
with six sacks today, James Connor eighteen carries one hundred
and seven yards.

Speaker 8 (01:48:10):
The Bears are zero to four on the road.

Speaker 10 (01:48:12):
Tennessee beat New England in overtime twenty to seventeen, total
of eighteen penalties in that game. Patriots worst offense in
the league. Carolina twenty three twenty two over New Orleans,
which has lost seven straight. Panthers got a touchdown which
just over two minutes to go. Quarterback Bryce young As,
an NFL starter, was two and seventeen until he beat
the Saints. Chargers won at Cleveland twenty seven to ten.

(01:48:36):
Justin Herbert two touchdown passes and JK Dobbins two td runs.
Cincinnati sent Vegas to a fifth straight loss forty one
twenty four Las Vegas tonight. According to NFL Network, fired
offensive coordinator Luke Getzi. Cincinnati's offense got the headlines today
with five touchdown passes from Joe Burrow. Buffalo won on
that sixty one yard field goal with five seconds left,

(01:48:57):
beating Miami thirty to twenty seven. Josh Allen three passes
in the second half wins for Washington, Baltimore and Atlanta,
which beat Dallas twenty seven to twenty one. Quarterback Dak
Prescott left for the Cowboys after the third quarter with
a hamstring injury. Ryan Blaney won the NASCAR race at Martinsville.
American League Gold Glove winners tonight include Royal shortstop Bobby

(01:49:17):
Witt Junior just three NBA games. Detroit, which was one
in five, won at Brooklyn today. Victories tonight for Atlanta
and Dallas Golden State. Steph Curry with the ankle injury,
was upgraded to questionable for tomorrow, and Paul George reportedly
will make his seventy six ers debut tomorrow at Phoenix.

Speaker 8 (01:49:33):
If he's playing that.

Speaker 10 (01:49:34):
Week this week, that means maybe George will be playing
at the Clippers on Wednesday this week. Clippers have built
a new arena across the street from the Rams Stadium,
and they've played four games in it and have lost
all four. Of course, ah, they have not had Kawhi Leonard.

Speaker 3 (01:49:50):
Thanks Steve, have a great week, buddy.

Speaker 5 (01:49:52):
A couple of I mean, I mean ringing endorsements for
our college football playoff ranking talk, Eric writes, do people
really care about this week's rankings? Yes, there's still four
weeks left? Who cares? Don't even do rankings until week eleven.
It's like saying if the playoffs started today, the Packers
would be the seventh seed.

Speaker 4 (01:50:10):
The playoffs don't start today.

Speaker 3 (01:50:13):
You're not wrong. I mean, you're right.

Speaker 5 (01:50:15):
It's made for TV thing. We'll get Top twenty five's
all year build up. Yeah, it's the build up for
the whole thing.

Speaker 4 (01:50:21):
The build up.

Speaker 2 (01:50:22):
It's like the previews for the movie and stuff like that.

Speaker 5 (01:50:25):
And then Camraight's on. Behalf of all IU fans. I
can speak for all of us when I say, screw you.
IU will be in no matter what.

Speaker 3 (01:50:32):
Wow, I'll take it all the where. And I hope
you're right.

Speaker 4 (01:50:35):
Man.

Speaker 5 (01:50:35):
I really like that Kurtzignette. He's done an incredible job.
He's awesome. But maybe I'm conditioned to not realize how
good they are because it's Indiana and they've been so
bad for so long.

Speaker 2 (01:50:50):
If they beat Michigan, then they could lose to Ohio
State still be in the will they still be in
the Big ten?

Speaker 4 (01:50:57):
Shit?

Speaker 3 (01:50:57):
Yeah, dude, Shit, why don't you try to figure out
that tie breaker?

Speaker 4 (01:51:00):
I can't do that, and I'll forget about it.

Speaker 3 (01:51:01):
I'm sorry you use hypothetically now what you lay out.

Speaker 2 (01:51:05):
I said, even if they beat Michigan but lose to
Ohio State, you'll get into the Big twelfth championship, though
they'll still get into the twelve team playoffs.

Speaker 3 (01:51:11):
So then you would have an undefeated Oregon team.

Speaker 4 (01:51:15):
I'll forget it then.

Speaker 5 (01:51:16):
And one loss Ohio State, Penn State, and Indiana in
a three way tied one. I guess, I don't know
what would happen, right, and you would have Ohio State
who would have beaten Indiana, and Ohio State who would
have been Penn State. So I don't know if because
that would seem like the most likely tiebreaker is that

(01:51:37):
Ohio State would have beaten both of them.

Speaker 4 (01:51:38):
But I guess. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:51:40):
Back to the NFL at stinking genius one at playing
show Brandan Wright's It's official now the Raiders from the
top to the bottom are catastrophically incompetent when it comes
to running an NFL team.

Speaker 3 (01:51:51):
Enough said, what did.

Speaker 4 (01:51:53):
I send you? They got rid of? What the quarterbacks coach?

Speaker 12 (01:51:55):
Two?

Speaker 4 (01:51:55):
And all that?

Speaker 3 (01:51:56):
Do you not listen to me on this show? Do
you know?

Speaker 8 (01:51:59):
You?

Speaker 3 (01:51:59):
You don't?

Speaker 5 (01:52:00):
And I think whenever we talk, you have your plan
of the program and you don't care what anyone else says.
We literally talked about this with Todd Furman like an
hour ago. Because they fired Luke Getty got fired, so
did their offensive line coach James Craig and their quarterbacks
coach James Scangerello, who at the time.

Speaker 3 (01:52:17):
I made the joke.

Speaker 5 (01:52:18):
If I was the quarterbacks coach and my options were
An O'Connell and Gardner Minshew, I probably would resign right away.

Speaker 3 (01:52:24):
Second time I remember that.

Speaker 5 (01:52:26):
Yeah, okay, see need of my line. You needed what
our writer Ryan Berschinger gave me for that segment. Cheat up, boy,
Dak got the better end of that contract, didn't He
still got a long way to go, Still got a
long way to go.

Speaker 3 (01:52:40):
Paul's on fire tonight, he writes, no one from the
AFC or.

Speaker 5 (01:52:43):
NFC South should ever be shown on a standalone game.

Speaker 3 (01:52:48):
Mister nobody a double shot.

Speaker 5 (01:52:50):
The Dallas Cowboys under Jerry Jones make the Raiders under
Mark Davis look competent. All their off season bluster of
being all in, they've been all in the deep endo
the pool with floaties now.

Speaker 4 (01:53:01):
The only way Tom.

Speaker 5 (01:53:02):
Brady helps the Raiders is if he grabs that knit
with Mark Davis by the neck, smacks him in the face,
and tells him to fire his personnel department.

Speaker 2 (01:53:11):
Brady's not Brady's not part owner just to be using
his money.

Speaker 4 (01:53:17):
He's gonna have to have some influence.

Speaker 2 (01:53:18):
And some say too, I mean, why wouldn't you want
He's only the best quarterback of all time?

Speaker 5 (01:53:23):
That's right, But I mean not all great players end
up being great personnel. People are coaches, So I think
you lend an ear, But I don't think they're gonna
hand over total control or anything to him. He's too
busy getting promoted every single time I turn on the
TV because he's broadcasting a game. Why are we promoting

(01:53:46):
the broadcaster? What are we doing?

Speaker 3 (01:53:48):
Fox? Stop it? H bag?

Speaker 5 (01:53:50):
Right, gentlemen, the Eagles did not save their season. I
watched that game. They have the best running back in
the league, and they led away the second half and
got lucky since they were playing the lowly Jags.

Speaker 3 (01:54:03):
The Commanders are taking that division anyway.

Speaker 2 (01:54:06):
I agree with them with that. I think the Commanders
will take the division. And the Jags should have won
that Git well, they were down twenty two to nothing,
but they's had the ball. They were driving here, bad interception,
bad pass there at the end.

Speaker 5 (01:54:17):
And then there was this from Abigail. She writes, don't
be so quick to dismiss Arnie for president. He's the
voice of a new generation, the generation of change and
common sense.

Speaker 3 (01:54:28):
Wake up, Plank, or you'll be left behind.

Speaker 6 (01:54:31):
John.

Speaker 2 (01:54:33):
I have to agree with that more than any other
tree we've ever gotten before in our lives.

Speaker 5 (01:54:38):
When we come back and sign for Arnie's picks after
he picked two whole games right in college of this weekend,
that's next right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (01:54:46):
Please you're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 5 (01:54:50):
Good job tonight by the crew, Harry Mack running the show.

Speaker 3 (01:54:55):
Bershinger, Ryan Berschinger.

Speaker 4 (01:54:57):
By the way, Bursch, aren't you an Eagles guy?

Speaker 1 (01:54:59):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:55:00):
No, that's bow Is that okay? Who's your team?

Speaker 4 (01:55:03):
Packers? Yu? Wow? Literally, you bet it?

Speaker 3 (01:55:10):
Sorry?

Speaker 5 (01:55:11):
Did mean to bring that up. Speaking of that, I
do have a little Matt Lafleur sound here. It was
about the only exciting thing that he said about the
mistakes they made against the Lions tonight.

Speaker 13 (01:55:20):
In it anyone we were driving or getting into the
scoring position. It seemed like we had false starts, we
had snaps, the ball was on the ground.

Speaker 4 (01:55:29):
Just way too many mistakes.

Speaker 13 (01:55:30):
And you cannot do that against a good football team
because they're going to make you pay and credit to them.
They they played a clean game.

Speaker 5 (01:55:37):
Yeah, And as Dan Campbell told us, the lines are
built for this.

Speaker 6 (01:55:42):
I know this.

Speaker 12 (01:55:42):
I'm not shocked one bit that we came out of
here and played pretty good football out in the elements.
I just that we're built for this man, and it
doesn't matter. And just because we play indoors, it doesn't matter.
Mean we can play anywhere. We can play in the
snow and play in the ring, play in the mud.
That's just us and we're built to win.

Speaker 8 (01:56:00):
He's not wrong, though.

Speaker 3 (01:56:01):
I love that.

Speaker 5 (01:56:03):
How can you not love that man who went from
being made fun of for biting knee caps to now being.

Speaker 3 (01:56:10):
The may one of the better head coaches right now
in the league.

Speaker 4 (01:56:13):
Oh, they'd be fighting over him if he was available.

Speaker 5 (01:56:17):
All right, it is that time of the show that
everyone came for. It is time for this tinking genius
to make his picks.

Speaker 2 (01:56:23):
Take it away, Arnie, Okay, all right, last week or
this last weekend, I went two and eight in college,
but seven to three in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (01:56:33):
Can I point something out real quick? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:56:35):
Oh, and you got to chill out because I go
to point this out. Number one, you went two and eight.
I gave two picks to a Wednesday night game and
hit both of them, and yet you still don't allow
me to do college picks.

Speaker 4 (01:56:49):
No, that was just a bad week by me.

Speaker 5 (01:56:51):
It's been a bad season. What's your overall record?

Speaker 4 (01:56:54):
I don't have it in front of me right now.

Speaker 3 (01:56:56):
You'd be fired, all right, go ahead.

Speaker 4 (01:56:59):
But in the NFEL I went seven and three.

Speaker 5 (01:57:02):
So I still don't know if that's legit because no
one ever saw your picks.

Speaker 4 (01:57:05):
But go but do you believe me what? Isaiah went
too and eight? Then you believe me right because I
saw the picks. Well, I put it out on Twitter.
All right.

Speaker 2 (01:57:14):
Let me get to this real quick by Christmas. The
Christmas present to my fellow New York Nick fans is
that we'll have you honest by them. And that looks
good for my parlay with Arizona and New York Knicks.
Can you believe only got the Knicks in seven and
a half to one in my parlay? I know should

(01:57:34):
have been it should have been a lot more. It
should we get like fifty thous for my parlay with
Arizona Knicks Love Georgia minus the two and a half
against Old miss Love Georgia, love them, give me some
Georgia love in the Adam minus four against fourteen excuse me,
not four fourteen against Michigan. I do like Tech to

(01:57:56):
be Colorado, but I love the over sixty two and
a half and I'm gonna take Alabama minus two and
a half on the road against LSU. So there you
have my picks two with them as you please, no
longer strictly.

Speaker 7 (01:58:07):
Did you just you had Tech Texas Tech right, Yes,
beating Colorado?

Speaker 4 (01:58:13):
Yes?

Speaker 8 (01:58:14):
Are you insane?

Speaker 5 (01:58:16):
He is?

Speaker 4 (01:58:16):
I've heard that before, he is.

Speaker 5 (01:58:18):
Here's what I also don't get is you do these
picks and you want to brag about going seven and
three in the NFL, but you never make any NFL
picks anymore on Sunday Night.

Speaker 2 (01:58:27):
Well yeah, because the line doesn't come out when we're
still on the air.

Speaker 4 (01:58:31):
They're not out yet, there's somehow some are out, but
you know they changed so much.

Speaker 3 (01:58:36):
I even have another show. This is your only chance.

Speaker 8 (01:58:41):
I don't think he cares.

Speaker 3 (01:58:42):
Yeah, and your.

Speaker 5 (01:58:43):
Shadow band on Twitter too, so no one sees all
your tweets.

Speaker 4 (01:58:46):
I am shadow band. I don't know what that means,
but I'm shadow.

Speaker 7 (01:58:48):
Band basically, a shadow band means like, okay to the
public people, you won't see it on the timeline, that's right.

Speaker 5 (01:58:54):
So when you throw your picks out there, you could
probably say you're ten and O because no one ever
sees them.

Speaker 4 (01:58:59):
If people, I'm in on them, I don't know that.

Speaker 7 (01:59:01):
It's a very niche, but it won't be on everyone
likes the outreachon that.

Speaker 4 (01:59:04):
You want someone to fix that for me? Would you please.

Speaker 7 (01:59:07):
Fix after that Texas Tech beating the Colorado, I don't
think you deserve it.

Speaker 3 (01:59:11):
Yeah, tough.

Speaker 5 (01:59:12):
I think they pat me my parlay the Nickson probably,
so if you guys want a good early week winner,
Central Michigan is getting ten points as a home dog.

Speaker 3 (01:59:25):
To Bowling greens Cu.

Speaker 5 (01:59:27):
Both teams stink, So take the home team, get me
the ten points if you want to go money line,
and might be worth it as well too to parlay
the two. But Central Michigan plus ten that might e
you might want to get that now because that could
end up being like nine and a half eight by
the time they actually kicked the game off. Any if
you expect any surprises on Tuesday night, not with the election,

(01:59:49):
with the playoff rankings, No.

Speaker 4 (01:59:51):
I really don't.

Speaker 2 (01:59:52):
I think it will be what we expect, but that
things changed, Things will change dramatically for the next couple
of weeks.

Speaker 5 (01:59:57):
Now and Monday Night football, A good game between the
Bucks and the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (02:00:00):
Oh, I'm gonna go with the Kansasity Chiefs in that one,
no doubt.

Speaker 5 (02:00:03):
I mean, you actually have a football game that you
can pick in the National Football League, and you chose
not to Kansas City currently in nine point nine point favorite.
You'll have a great rest of your week. Sigmund Mallord
kicks it off next on Fox Sports Radio.
