Speaker 1 (00:30):
Be You know, sometimes people make some decisions and do
some things and it's not until after the fact that
(00:53):
you realize, oh, that's what was going on here. I'll
explain why that applies to somebody in the world world
of sports. Here coming up in just a couple of moments.

(01:34):
So it was kind of interesting. So I'm looking around
and you know, uh, just having to take a peek
at some of these scores that Martin was laying out
a couple of moments ago, and uh, you know Texas,
some mean, they're fifth in the country. They're a really
good football team. You know, they're up thirty five nothing
(01:55):
over Florida at the half, and you're like, all right, well,
I mean that's not you know, it shouldn't be that surprising.
You're thinking, you know, Texas is much better than Florida.
Florida's kind of been going through some stuff and you
know when it comes to Billy Napier. But Florida did
make like some interesting noise this week when it came
(02:16):
to Billy Napier because they did announce that he would
be sticking around. Like everybody just figured that Florida was
going to be moving on from Billy Napier, because that
had been the discussion going into the season, like all
off seasons, like, well, Billy Napier's got to win games.
He's not winning games, and he's going to be in trouble,
and then you looked at what happened the first week
of the season, and then you go down and you
(02:38):
look at Florida's schedule, especially in November, and we talked
about it on this show, like the Florida's November schedule
is one of the most difficult in sports that I
can remember. Like when you talk about Georgia, Texas lsu
Ole miss at Florida State, all of that's in November.
(03:00):
And so the timing of their athletic director, Scott Strickling,
coming out and basically saying, hey, listen, you know, we're
going to go ahead, and what we're going to do
is we're going to stick with this guy, even though
they're in the midst or on the brink of having
the most difficult November schedule. We are going to stick
with our guy, our head coach. And there was some
(03:21):
stuff out there that like, well, you know, because they've
got all this money tied in, all this NLI NIL
money tied in to freshmen and sophomore and you know,
his buyout clause and all that stuff. But it was
just kind of interesting like that they would throw this
out on a Thursday, like, hey, we know what you're thinking.
We've heard the rumors and reports. Don't worry about it.
(03:43):
Even though they're a five hundred team and they've got
this daunting schedule they're in the midst of when it
comes to November, we're sticking by our guy. I was like, Okay,
that's kind of nice, kind of a nice story. It's like,
it's interesting that you do that, but kind of nice.
And then Friday comes and you find out, oh, Florida's
(04:04):
basketball coach Todd Golden. You know, just your run of
the mill stocking allegations from people online or taking pictures
of women in cars, and you know, hey, what's more
normal behavior for a college basketball coach than to not
only stock random women and take pictures allegedly, but also,
(04:29):
you know, allegedly send a couple of crank picks while
you're at it. You know, just your run of the
mill Florida college basketball. Oh so that's why the day
before you gave the preemptive news of hey this old
billy napier stuff. No, no, no, no, no, we stand by
(04:51):
our everything is good. We want to show stability here.
We don't think it would send the right message to
everybody involved in the program, if we go ahead and
just move on from a coach who's in the midst
of a difficult schedule. No, no, no, no, no, Billy Napier,
we got your back. Okay, that's because everybody else had
(05:12):
Todd Golden's front. Apparently, it's like, oh, now makes sense,
Like why are they announcing Billy Napier is going to
be sticking around before a game against Texas when they're
down thirty five nothing at the half? Why kind of interesting? Well,
and I owe money and tied in, and you know
(05:35):
his buyout would have been this. Oh no, no, no, no no.
That's because Florida was like, hey, listen, we got to
show some sort of functional program here. We got to
show something because we're just a mere few hours away
before this report coming out that our basketball coach allegedly
was stalking women on campus and sending crank picks out.
(06:00):
You know, sometimes when you get a news story or
you get some information that comes out and it feels
kind of odd and it seems kind of strange, but like, Okay, well,
I guess I'll take your word for it. Just wait
a little bit, because maybe there is more to the story,
you know, like I'm not trying to out anybody, but
(06:21):
if like randomly, all of a sudden, you come home
and there's a dozen roses on the table and he
never buys flowers, don't be surprised if it turns out that, like,
you know, the next day, maybe the neighbor walks by
and goes, oh, hey, by the way, your husband's are peeping. Tom,
just want to let you know. Jonas Knox here Fox
(06:42):
Sports Radio at the Jonas Knox at the Jonas Knox
on X and you can hang out with us as
always on the iHeartRadio app. By all those are allegedly
just want to be clear on this. They're investigating it.
All those allegedly on Todd Golden just want to be
clear on this allegedly. All right, So let me tell
you a story. When I used to do sales for
(07:04):
the record awful. I was terrible at it, not good.
I think I hit quota at this place maybe once
in like four and a half years. I was dreadful.
I just stayed afloat literally it was the bare minimum
every single time. But there was like certain people that
(07:26):
were really really good at the job. Now, I never
drank on the job. I never came in reeking of
booze like I never like, there was nothing nikki like,
nothing like that. Like it was like I was bad
and sober like so there was no real like like
(07:48):
I couldn't It's not like I could sit here and
be like, well, you know, no, No, I needed to
be at full capacity to try and be able to
focus on the job because I was mediocre at best
as is. You know, coming in banged up wouldn't have
been a great idea. But there was, like certain people
in this company who you know, did things differently. For example,
(08:16):
I don't know how you are, but when you're in
the stall for a significant amount of time, when you're
using the restroom for a significant amount of time, it's
usually because things got a little messy and you need
to be in there a while. So by the time
you get out of there, it's more like a whoo
and kind of a hey, you let your guard down,
(08:37):
sigh of relief. Everything went okay. But man, that was
a rough one. Certain people would walk out of the
stall at this place, and for some reason they had
so much more energy. I don't know what it was.
I don't know what it was. You know, some people
drink their energy, and then some people smell it. Look,
(08:59):
I don't know what it'd like listen like whatever, you know,
Just it's kind of weird, like they would always, you know,
for some reason, walk out of the bathroom and they'd
be like, you know, wiping their nose. I don't know,
it's just it's strange. It's like, hey, powdered donuts again, No,
I don't eat Huh, it's out on your stash up there.
(09:19):
It's kind of weird. But the problem was they were
so good at their job that everybody just kind of
looked the other way, like, hey, you know, so and
so has been in the stall for like twenty five minutes.
And the guy's like, uh, you know, I don't know
if he's got a cold or something, but uh, it
doesn't appear that like his uh you know, his dockers
(09:43):
or down around his ankles, like he seems like he's
been standing up a while, and he's just like he's
smelling a lot. So I don't know, if you know,
what are you getting at? Well, I think he's probably
a snowblower. I don't know, I don't know, what do
you think. Okay, we'll look at the numbers on the
board guy's like one hundred and twenty five percent over quota.
I think we're good here. They're so good you just
(10:03):
look the other way. It's all the other stuff. They're
kind of sloppy, you know, not quite buttoned up. May
have a little bit of a substance abuse issue, you know,
speed too fast through the parking lot. Maybe they'll go
out and have a couple of cocktails at launch. But
they always deliver and the numbers don't lie. Their record
(10:27):
and numbers are spotless. So I say all that to
say this in the NFL, if we all acknowledge that
over the last handful of years, the best team in
football has been the Kansas City Chiefs, Right, we're talking
like best team in football. They're forty five and fourteen
(10:48):
just record wise over the last several years. Who would
you say, because behind them is Buffalo, who would you
say is next in line? Like, if we're talking like
next in line, most successful team in the NFL since
twenty twenty one, who would you say last you know,
last three four years, Like you kind of throw it out,
(11:08):
It's got to be the Niners. It's got to be no. Oh,
what about the Ravens they're written no, no, no, no,
that would be the Philadelphia Eagles. And you know who's
been the head coach of the Eagles since that time,
Nick Sirianni. Yet, for some reason, Nick Sirianni is one
of these potential quote unquote hot seat candidates. And so
(11:34):
yesterday Nick Sirianni was discussing Jalen Hurts his rest day.
You know, he had a rest day, you know, just
to kind of rest up, veteran rest day for a quarterback,
you know, kind of you know, in November, getting late
in the season, and well he kind of stepped in it,
as he's done several times before.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
You know, he's dealing with Uh it was on the
injury report, doing with the with the ankle and just
making sure work for cautious with everything was.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
Killing It was an ankle. What's that was the rest? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (12:08):
Sorry, I thought you were talking about something else.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Ale from I can't even keep a story straight. Is
he arrest or does he have an injury? Oh no,
he's got an injury. Probably should have kept that quiet.
It's those little things like it's that, it's the yelling
at the fans, it's the other stuff that we've seen
(12:33):
big dom yelling at the Cowboys sideline like all the
other you know, the coordinators being in and out like
all the other, Like the not being able to get
along with Jalen Hurts, you know, going for it last
week when they probably should have kicked field goals when
they're playing Jacksonville. It's like all these like there's all
these little things to where you look at and go, God,
(12:55):
what is he doing? It's dysfunctional, like get it together,
Like what's his record? Oh? You know, it's just like
the third best in the NFL the last handful of years,
best in the NFC, been to the playoffs every single year.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
Like.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
So, the Philadelphia Eagles have this decision to make with
their head coach, and they're kind of battling a couple
of things. Everything on the outside tells you, hey, dude,
that guy's been in the stall a long time. Might
be some stuff to look into. You go out and
you look at the numbers on the board and you
go but damn, like, how do you argue with that?
(13:32):
So when we're having this conversation about Nick Sirianni and
being on the hot seat and all that, it's like,
at a certain point, you just got to go. Look,
we get it. All the stuff on the outside, totally understand.
Guy walks out of the stall and he keeps wiping
his nose and it doesn't appear like, you know, anything
(13:53):
went on in there, or he flushed a toy like nothing.
But then he comes out and the guy just delivers
and hits quota every every single year. Every year Nick
Sirianni has been the coach of the Eagles, They've hit quota,
They've gone to the playoffs every single year. His record
is fantastic. The Eagles just have to decide whether or
(14:13):
not they're okay with the stuff and the extra curriculars
on the outside and they're okay with the wins, or
if that's too much for them and they feel like
he's holding this team back. Jonas Knox here Fox Sports
Radio at the Jonas Knocks on X at the Jonas
Knots on X and you can hang out with us
as always on the iHeartRadio app. So we are gonna

back when it comes to NFL betting this season. We'll
explain to close up shop an hour two of the program.
It is all yours here on this two hour extravaganza.
(14:55):
But coming up next here though, there's a team in
the NFL that if you're wondering why they are in
the situation they're in, it's been going on a lot
longer than anybody wants to acknowledge. I'll tell you who
that is right here on FSR.
Speaker 4 (15:09):

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio. So we're gonna have our
TGFG Game of the Week in the NFL coming up
here in about ten minutes from now from the tirak
dot com studios. Quick check in on some of the
news and notes from around college football. Ohio State's up
(15:49):
on Purdue twenty four to nothing. Georgia Tech is leading
Miami a little bit of an upset there, twenty one
to ten for the Yellowjackets as much, by the way.
And also Texas has blown out Florida forty two to nothing.
But Florida's got bigger issues. You know, they got more
important things going on in Florida, Like you know, whether
or not whether or not they're basketball coach is you know,
(16:13):
a little bit of a weirdo. But nonetheless, Miami, by
the way, nobody plays with fire and college football this
year like the Miami Hurricanes. It Actually they're entertaining as
hell to watch. But you're gonna go back on this
season and look at all the close calls they've had
and been like, man, this team was like really close
to being a four or five lost team. Yet they're
sitting number four in the country right now. So we
(16:35):
will keep you posted with that. Martin Wise will have
all the updates for you throughout the course of the
show coming up here bottom of the hour here on
Fox Sports Radio. Now, I did want to get into
this because if this sounds familiar, it's because it is.
So the Raiders had a meeting. Okay again, now, they
(16:59):
had a meeting year ago. Remember, like all the players
got together and they vented and said, like called out
Josh McDaniels and all that, and like, you know, a
few days later he got fired. So like I mean,
they've just you know, couldn't stand him and just basically
just wore him out. In this meeting, everybody spoke up,
everybody had an issue. Well apparently that has happened again,
(17:20):
these sources tell CBS Sports several Raiders players, including team
captain Max Crosby, spoke openly in a players and staff
meeting on Monday, addressing what they viewed as inefficiencies and
deficiencies within the organization on a week to week basis.
Now keep in mind, this is on the heels of
Antonio Pierce announcing on Sunday night that he was firing
(17:43):
their offensive coordinator, fired their quarterbacks coach, their offensive line coach.
Like wholesale changes like brought in Scott Turner and Norv
Turner came aboard, Like I mean, made a lot of changes,
you know, and listen, it's their bye week, they've got
some time. But that's a lot, Like there's a lot
going on there and shouldn't be that surprising because Antonio
(18:04):
Pierce basically called out looke Getze, the offensive coordinator last week,
like basically said, look, we're not producing on offense. That's
on the offensive coordinator. And so after the meeting on Monday,
the team met with the staff and apparently apparently the
(18:24):
floor was open, and according to sources present, there a
few themes emerged. Players had issues with the schedule not
being efficient, there was a lack of organization and quote
unquote wasting time, and there was a quote unquote lack
of discipline and accountability. And one source described the meeting
as ending quote uncomfortably for all parties. But it wasn't
(18:47):
like the meeting that happened last year when Josh McDaniels
was fired a few days later. So all of that,
according to CBS Sports, and you look at this, you go,
all right, So it's like the second time in two
years is that there's been a meeting where the players
have just kind of called everybody out And you're like, well,
(19:08):
but they just made some changes, and does any of
this stuff matter? Like all these offensive changes and all that,
does any of it matter? All of this has been
set in motion for years and I'm not talking about
all the stuff previous to when they got to Vegas. Look,
you can go through the numbers if you want. I
mean since they went to the Super Bowl in two
(19:30):
thousand and three, like what they're I mean, it's been
a disaster. There's been a lot of stuff going on there.
But you know, they get to Las Vegas and it's like,
all right, so what have we got here? Like you
would think here we are brand new place. If you've
been to Vegas and you see the setup there for
the Raiders, I mean they love that team. Like having
a chance to be out there last year for the
(19:51):
super Bowl week, you got to see just like the
stadium proximity to the strip, Like you walk out of
Mandalay Bay, you can get to the stadium right now there,
Like everything is set up there. It is awesome, the stadium,
the f like every like. People are excited about that team.
Since they've gotten to Las Vegas, you know, there's been
(20:12):
some things to where they've you know, have not gone
exactly his plan. First of all, John Gruden got kind
of screwed, if we're being honest, and that's not look
not saying what he said in the emails was okay
or appropriate, but the fact that that stuff came out
the way that it did. It found it felt like
a hit job, is what it felt like. And this
(20:33):
isn't just me saying it. You've got players that were there,
Max Crosby being there talking about, man, that's you know,
we felt like that we got kind of screwed there,
like that was that was that was not okay. Derek
Carr has has still maintained his close relationship with grew
like there's a lot of people that were like, man,
he got kind of done in there. Not not great,
(20:54):
and that's why this lawsuit is still going on, is
still happening with the league. But then you know it's
not even just that. So they move on from John Gruden,
they'd make the decision to move on. Rich Pasaccia takes
over as the head coach in a mess with all
of that stuff happening, and leads them to the playoffs.
(21:15):
They go to the postseason, they're competitive with an opportunity
to tie or maybe win the game at Cincinnati in
the wild card game, and they come up short, but
they're inside the ten yard line or something like they
were in the red zone final play of the game,
and that was a Bengals team that eventually went on
to go to the Super Bowl and probably should have
(21:36):
won the Super Bowl for being honest. So that was
Rich Pisaccia who led that team. They made the decision
to move on from Bassacia, which nobody in the building liked.
All the players wanted Rich Pisaccia. They bring in Josh
McDaniels disaster, they butchered the DeVante Adams trade when they
(21:58):
benched and cut Darek car Mixed in there was the
Henry Ruggs tragedy. Josh Jacobs is gone. Like we're talking
about like a succession of failures, some of they're doing,
some of them not they're doing, but all within that organization,
and you're looking at it going so this is a
(22:21):
second meeting. Well, yeah, that's kind of the way things
have gone there. Like this opportunity that they've had to
have a good team in a great place with a
great venue and great energy, and all of it has
been wasted. Like and I kind of threw out the
(22:42):
conspiracy before where I thought, look, Tom Brady's coming in,
He's gonna have personnel, say with the Raiders. I wonder
if Tom Brady, you know, wants to exact a little
bit of revenge. Antonio Pierce is one of those guys
that you know was on the Giants when he ruined
their perfect season. Maybe Tom Brady comes in as well,
he's got to go I'm going to bring in my
own guy. And it just kind of throwing that out
(23:03):
more tongue in cheek. But I look at it and go, well,
maybe this is why they were so adamant in bringing
Tom Brady. It like we need something, like, we need
somebody with an outside perspective to try and get us
to places that we haven't been before. If that means
Brady's going to go out, And I'm not saying Antonio
Pierce deserves to lose his job. I hate when coaches
(23:23):
are one and done. I can't stand it, Like, at
least give him a couple of years to try and
figure this thing out and get to the vision that
they have for the program before you move on from him.
But like, if it's Belichick, if it's Mike Vrabel, like
it just it feels like they've had this clean slate,
so to speak, to where they could just come in
(23:44):
forget about all the crap that happened in Oakland in
that dump that they were trying to get out of
for years, and they've ruined all of it, like they've
screwed it all up. Like you just go through a
succession of airs, and a lot of those they didn't
have to make. You didn't have to move on from
Rich Pasaccia. You went to the playoffs with him. Everybody
(24:08):
wanted him. He could have been the head coach. There
could have been some stability there. You didn't have to
bench and trade Derek Carr. You brought in DeVante Adams.
Josh Jacobs has been great in Green Bay. You could
have kept him too. Like there's all of this stuff
was avoidable and they couldn't help themselves. And so now
(24:31):
you're finding out, oh, well, there's another team meeting in
which they're not happy with the coaches, just like they
weren't happy with the coaches last year. And it feels
like this is just going to continue on until they
make wholesale changes. Jonas nx he or Fox Sports Radio
by the way, a place that doesn't need wholesale changes

up next here we are going to have our TGFG
(25:14):
Game of the Week. That'll be yours here from the
tairaq dot com studios for all the latest though from
around the world of sports. He is Martin wise.
Speaker 3 (25:23):
Got some blowouts going on right now in college football.
Speaker 5 (25:25):
We'll start with the closest game, which would also be
a massive upset Towers.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
She was undersold it earlier today, but.
Speaker 5 (25:31):
The number four team in the nation is on the
road right now, trailing by eleven twenty one to ten
for the Miami Hurricanes under.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
Georgia Tech Yellowjacks.
Speaker 5 (25:40):
Georgia Tech with the lead Haines King and Aaron Filo,
two quarterbacks played in this game for Tech so far
have combined for thirty five yards passing.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
In two touchdowns.
Speaker 5 (25:50):
So there you go, not moving the ball through the air,
but two hundred and thirty five on the ground.
Speaker 3 (25:54):
That'll get it done.
Speaker 5 (25:55):
Cam Ward fourteen for twenty five one hundred and eighty
nine yards passing one touchdown, so that is the sole
touchdown the Miami has scored.
Speaker 3 (26:02):
They've also added a.
Speaker 5 (26:03):
Field goal and are driving right now first and goal.
If they score by the end of this update, I'll
tell you if they do it. Perdue and Ohio State.
Right now, the boilet Makers on the road at the Horseshoe,
the number two team in the nation, making it a
laugh for thirty eight to nothing right now, three minutes
left in the third quarter. Will Howard five incomplete passes,
eighteen for twenty three twoh one through the air, two
(26:24):
touchdowns Trayvon Henderson and Will Howard also adding two rushing touchdowns.
Hudson Card remember he used to play for Texas. Seven completions,
fifteen attempts at seventy six yards and an interception. Speaking
of Texas, they are pounding the University of Florida right now,
forty two to three, six six twenty four left in.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
The third quarter.
Speaker 5 (26:45):
I bet Florida, which is there were six twenty four
left in the rest of the season.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
Aheez. I couldn't help it about the basketball team or
the football team.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
I think both qualify, Jenas both qualify.
Speaker 5 (26:56):
At this point, we're seeing two quarterbacks play for two
right out Quinn yours.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
This day is done.
Speaker 5 (27:02):
After five touchdowns, three hundred and thirty three yards through
the air, arch manning zero for two.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
He'll be his game for the rest of the way.
Speaker 5 (27:09):
Aiden Warner got to start today for the Florida Gators
eight for eighteen seventy one yard, two interceptions. DJ Lagway
probably would have started, but again Carter off last week
with an injury. Miami does score touchdown twenty one sixteen
Georgia Tech and Miami attempting a two point conversion in
three two and one. Cam Ward drops back to pass,
(27:30):
and this is not gonna end well. It cannot end well. Yes,
it doesn't fumble for cam Woard. Georgia Tech will covers
the ball on a two point conversion twenty one sixteen,
two forty three left in the third quarter. There for
Georgia Tech. In the NFL Tyreek Hill has a wrist injury.
Head coach Mike McDaniel says he's neither optimistic nor pessimistic
that he'll play.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
Adding all that he knows is that he knows nothing,
as Socrates would say.
Speaker 4 (27:54):
So.
Speaker 5 (27:54):
Mike McDaniel, in midseason form says plays wide receiver Chris
alave On injured reserve after he's offered his second concussion
of the season last week.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
Jonas back to.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
You, Thanks Martin Jonas Knox here on Fox Sports Radio.
Coming up here and we'll call it. About twelve minutes
from now from these tairak dot com studios, we are
going to have another edition of Do You Care, where
we're just going to be brutally honest. We're going to
tell the truth, and we're going to be brutally honest
about several stories in the world of sports here that
you've been force fed over the past several days. That'll
(28:24):
be yours here on FSR. But something we do every
single week here on this show as well too, is
hand out an award during the NFL season, because we
look at it and go, like, everybody wants to celebrate
the Super Bowl, you want to talk about playoff teams,
and they want to poke fun and make fun of
all these bad teams in the NFL, and we're sick
of this crap. We are tired of it. We'd like
(28:45):
for everybody to get a little bit of love here
on this show in the NFL, and so that means
that it is time to hand out our latest TGFG
game of the Week. It's our thank God for Gambling
game of the Week, and the award for a week
two and.
Speaker 3 (29:00):
Goes to.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
Giant said Panthers. Oh that's right in Germany a nine
to thirty am Eastern time kick. That's six thirty Pacific time,
and I believe four point thirty For all our friends
listening on Fox Sports nine to ninety in Honolulu, Oh boy,
you know, I do like the reverse psychology by the NFL.
(29:24):
They're like, you know, we really want to grow the game,
we really want to expand our product in other markets.
So you know what we're gonna do for all of
our friends in Germany that just walked out of a
Ramstein concert, here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna give
you Giants Panthers way to sell the goods to the
international market. What a bunch of vomit. These teams stink
(29:49):
out loud and the people in Germany. Does the NFL
think like, hey man, we can't get anybody to go
to these games in Carolina. Nobody's showing up in Charlotte
unless it's a Giants fan who's still reeling from the
Yankees lose the World Series, So what are we gonna do.
Let's just send him over to Munich. Who thinks of
this stuff? Who comes up with this? At least the
(30:10):
Jaguars are kind of built into the London culture at
this point. It's like, hey, listen, you know, shot CON's
got a two way yacht. It goes to London and
then it comes back to Jacksonville and he's got to
watch people put bags on their head. It's like the
whole thing makes zero sense unless it's reverse psychology. And
you're looking at this international market going hey man, you
(30:30):
really don't want this in your league. You really don't
want this in your country. You don't want any part
of this. So congratulations to all of those quote unquote
NFL fans over in Germany. You're gonna get a nice dose,
a nice dose of Panthers Giants in the middle of
your day to go ahead and have fun with and
(30:51):
marvel it. Wow. I can't believe this is one of
the most popular sports in the world because the NFL
is given it to you. So that is our TGFG
Game of the Week week, Thank God for gambling. Game
of the Week goes to the Giants versus the Panthers
in Germany, because if not for gambling, nobody's watching that crap.

We'll call it a little over both talk. About fifteen
minutes from now here from the tire Rack dot com studios,
we are going to tell you about a coaching candidate
that has emerged. Apparently there's a guy who whose name
is emerged and you're going to scoff at it initially,
(32:05):
but when you think a little bit longer about it,
it does make some sense. We'll get into that for
you again. Coming up here a little over fifteen minutes
from now from the Tirak dot com studios. A reminder though,
before we get to another edition of Do You Care,
that shortly after the show, our podcast will be going up,
So if you've missed any of today's show, be sure

tweet out a link to the podcast as well at
the Jonas Knocks on X's where you can find that
after we go off the air. But right now, it
is time for a Saturday tradition we do called this.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
There are so many stories in the world of sports,
and most of them are a complete waste of time.
Speaker 1 (32:54):
DMC reports. Let's get kinky.
Speaker 2 (32:57):
Here's some of the big stories from the last week.
The real question is do you Care?
Speaker 1 (33:04):
And for that we turn it over to our executive
producer Patrick Sweek and to find out what the hell
people have been talking about all week.
Speaker 4 (33:09):
Pat Well, I'll tell you what Jonas with the NBA
Back in this week, Paul George actually played at the
Clippers home game as a seventy six er now, and
you know he was booed really hard by the Clipper fans.
After the game, George even called the experience lame.
Speaker 3 (33:24):
Do you care?
Speaker 1 (33:25):
No, I don't care. I couldn't care less about that kids, Elis.
I mean, they're gonna they're gonna boo him, They're gonna
say whatever they say. He went to the Sixers. The
Sixers haven't been any good, neither of the Milwaukee Bucks.
Like it's it's early in the season. We're flooded with
NFL and college football talk, and we just had a
college basketball coach send crank picks and stock women on campus.
(33:46):
Like there's other things going on. We can't be bogged
down with some guy going back to see his former
team in the NBA and then.
Speaker 4 (33:53):
Booing next all right, jonas well, speaking of basketball, do
you care that Sacramento King's owner? Oh boy, I gotta
say this right, A vivik rona dive. I hope I
said that right. But he showed support for DeMar Derozen
because he wore a not Like US T shirt as
a dig at Drake, who made earlier comments on DeRozan's
(34:14):
little raptor legacy.
Speaker 1 (34:15):
Do you care, sir? No, I don't like like I
don't care. Like now we're trying to work in like, oh,
let's let's get you know, hip hop involved man who cares?
Like people people listening are trying to figure out how
to get through the bye weeks in fantasy football. They
can't be bogged down by the Kings owner whoever that's
(34:39):
talking about Drake and Kendrick Lamar and DeMar Like who
gives a rip next?
Speaker 4 (34:48):
All right, Jonas, Well, do you care that the world's
tallest teenager has been measured at seven feet nine and
is going to be playing basketball?
Speaker 3 (34:58):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (34:58):
Seven feet nine?
Speaker 3 (34:59):
Jonas?
Speaker 1 (35:00):
Yeah, I do. Actually, uh like what was he at birth?
Six ' eight? Like I mean, like how does that happen?
You know what I mean? Like like what like what
are we talking about? Like it just was that like
you know when they show like a cow giving birth
and it's just like, uh is that all about? Oh no,
(35:20):
that's just one leg and you're just like pulling out
the baby calf and it's got to like what was
I mean seven nine as a teenager? What a miserable life?
By the way, that is miserable, Like what desk did it?
Did they give him? You know what I mean? Like,
like what do you what do you say? He's got
a duck us in the bathroom. He's got like that
is a miserable, miserable life. And he's gonna play basketball,
(35:42):
I'd hope, So like, like what are his options? Like
that and wash high rise windows? That's it? So like
it's like you got two paths here, which one's gonna
pay more? I'll go play basketball.
Speaker 4 (35:56):
Next, jonas well, do you care that a road elan
man has amassed the world's largest collection of energy drink
cans and the number is one thy nineteen by the way.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
No, because because he here's there's why and look, it's
an impressive collection. He's got ten thy nineteen cans. But
there's a fine line between collector and hoarder. This guy
feels like a hoarder, right, Like, look, five hundred cans
of all shapes and sizes, totally cool. Six hundred cans
(36:30):
of all shapes and sizes, Eh, kind of obsessive, but
we're okay with that one thousand nineteen cans of energy drinks?
Like are these empty cans? Or does he save them?
Like does he not drink them at all? Like, what
are we talking about here? Does it say Patrick?
Speaker 4 (36:46):
No, it does not say but I mean I'm assuming
over the literally over his collecting, he probably does drink.
He wears the backwards cappy. He wears like a lot
of the you know, the like the world, like the
what is it? The rock star? He wears stuff like
that's I'm.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
A story that big energy drink guy. I mean, okay,
you know all right, Like, uh, I guess you know
there's there's sneaker heads and then there's energy drink heads.
I guess this is the move. I had no idea.
What do you want to bet? He also like rides
a motorcycle, like he's like a BMX. He's a BMX rider.
He's got a motorcycle. He's probably got like a star
(37:23):
tattoo on his elbow. Guarantee. He listens to blink one
eighty two like I mean, this is like, let me
just like if this guy's listening in Rhode Island, I
would encourage you to move out to a place in
southern California called the nine oh nine like me, I
would just I would like to encourage you to do
that you'd feel right at.
Speaker 4 (37:41):
Home next well, speaking of right at home or not,
do you care that Auburn's basketball team's plane this is yesterday?
By the way, they had to turn back around, Jonas,
because on board it wasn't like there was any misgoings
on the plane or the plane's fine, they were fighting, Jonas.
Do you care they had to turn around because the
player we're fighting each other.
Speaker 1 (38:01):
Yeah, listen, and I do. I like how they tried
to get read of this story to where they said, oh,
it was you know, it wasn't you know, it was
just two guys and before anything got like, you know,
real serious or really physical, you know, just the plane.
They almost tried to blame the airline and the pilot
for freaking out because two guys. So you mean to
tell me two guys had a disagreement in the back
(38:22):
nothing really got physical, but you had to turn the
flight around and then take another flight, and you didn't
bring those two players with you on the next flight.
But it was just a disagreement. What a bunch of garbage?
Like what a lie? Has anybody been on a flight
like and seeing people arguing like before? Yeah, like every
(38:44):
single flight there's always some issue, somebody's rude and they
stand up too soon. Somebody drops a bag off the
overhead can part like like whatever it is, somebody's fall asleep.
Like I've been on flights with people here at the
Network and seeing them have an exchange with somebody because
they did something that pissed him off. And I'm not
(39:04):
going to air out whoever that was. That may or
may not have pissed the same guy off over and
over again because he kept trying to get mini bottles
of booze out of the overhead compartment. Lead the Lap,
I'm not going to air anybody out here. I'm not
airing anybody else Lead the Lap for doing that on
a flight to Ireland. I'm not going to do that
here on this show because I'm not a rat.
Speaker 4 (39:23):
Next, all right, well we're getting a little daredevili here, Jonas,
because do you care that a British daredevil was and
I quote intentionally dragged on his motorcycle at one hundred
and fifty.
Speaker 3 (39:36):
Nine miles per hour?
Speaker 1 (39:38):
Why did he do it? Jonas? To break a world record?
Hold on a second so he wanted to get dragged
by a motorcycle. Yeah, that's an actual world record.
Speaker 4 (39:48):
Yeah, okay, it was one fifty six, was the progress record?
Speaker 1 (39:53):
All right? Survived? All right? So then when are we
going to start celebrating people that jump off buildings to
their death. You know, he used to we would call
that suicide. You know what. No, I was just trying
to break the world record. Okay, all right, I guess
we're just rewarding this. Now that's fun. Hey, you see
my buddy, he was going through some tough times. He
jumped off the parking structure. Oh no, no, you got
(40:15):
it all wrong. That was the highest parking structure in
the country. He's trying to get his name in the
record books. What about your weirdos? You know, there's a
name that all of a sudden has popped up. It's
popped up in a potential coaching candidate higher this offseason
in the NFL. You might look at it and scoff
when you hear the name, but it does make some
(40:37):
sense upon further review. We'll get into that for you
here coming up in just a couple of moments from now.

So we were talking about the Nick Sirianni situation in
(41:20):
Philly because that's the most fascinating one because the Eagles
have a difficult decision to make because like Sirianni's record
is just marvelous when it comes to being a coach
in the NFL. They've gone to the playoffs every year.
You know, despite what you know, some people might think
(41:41):
they've even been better than the Niners over the past
few seasons when it comes to their record in the NFC,
Like they've been the best team in the NFC since
Syrianni's gotten there in twenty twenty one. I mean, those
are facts. It's just like all the stuff on the outside,
You're like, well, what's going on here? You know what
I mean? Like like what is like what's happening? Like,
(42:04):
you know, on Friday, it's like, hey, Jalen Hurts has
got a rest day this week. And then it turns
out like, oh no, he's got an ankle, and just
like he kind of steps in it, just like he
stepped in it earlier this year when he was talking
to fans on the sideline and yelling at him and
it's like, why are you doing that? Why are you
even getting involved in that? And then there was you know,
the big Dom stuff that happened, you know, that was
(42:25):
kind of weird. And then it was his you know
handling of like the Jaguar game last week. What it
was like, why why aren't you kicking a field goal?
What are you doing here? People? It's like there's no
reason for him at forty and nineteen and three straight
playoff appearances to be sweating his job, yet he is.
(42:48):
And I wonder if it's just all the other stuff
on the outside. You look at it, yougo, it just
doesn't make any sense. And so you see the situation
with Nick Sirian and you wonder how that's going to
play out. And then you've got these other situation around
the NFL. You know, where coaches are, you know they're
they're coming. It could be on the hot seat, and
there could be this one, you know, like one of
the ones that's been thrown out there is you know,
(43:11):
potentially possibly you know, Matt Ebraflus in Chicago. They seem
to be a little bit of a mess, and it's
funny that that situation gets brought up and people look
at that situation and go, you know, that could be
you know, a place where they could be making a change.
They could be moving on for Matt Eberflus based on
(43:31):
all the drama that you've got going on there, I mean,
Matt Eberflus in Chicago, Like it's just not going well,
and there's always a situation and a story off the field,
Like it is fascinating if you go back to that
Hail Mary, somebody should do a documentary about this before
and after, Like if that Hail Mary played doesn't happen,
(43:54):
if the Bears successfully bat the ball down and there's
and Tyreek Steveson isn't off celebrating on the sideline or
doing whatever he is and gets over there later. If
that doesn't happen, the conversation between the Commanders and the
Bears is completely different, like literally completely different. It would
have gone from, hey man, I know the Bears struggled
(44:16):
in that game, but did you see Kayleb Williams in
that fourth quarter? That was special? Difficult game, difficult circumstances
leads him back to victory. Like he made plays, he
was awesome, Like down the stretch, he outplayed Jaden Daniels.
Daniels was better early portion of the game, but when
it counted outplay Jaden Daniels, the Hail Mary happens, and
(44:39):
the Bears went out and got pistol whipped by the Cardinals,
and the Commanders went out and were buyers at the
deadline because apparently everybody wants to play with Jadeen Daniels
and everybody wants to play for Washington. It is amazing
how the tables have turned off one play. And so
(45:01):
when you see the discussion happening about Mattyberflus's job, you go,
I mean, you know, it feels like it wasn't that
long ago that, like they couldn't wait to get rid
of their former coach, like they couldn't wait, like they
had to move on from their coach, like it was over,
like we got to get somebody else in here. I mean,
this place is not going ll like we got to
(45:22):
get somebody else in here. And what's ironic about that,
and what's interesting about that is that one of the
names that all of a sudden, according to reports, is
potentially a top candidate or one of the leading candidates
in this coaching cycle after the season. One of those
names is Matt Naggy, the Chiefs offensive coordinator who people
(45:48):
in Chicago couldn't wait to run out of town. You
couldn't get rid of him fast enough. And then all
of a sudden, things start to settle down and you
see kind of what the Bears are and all the
stuff going on there, and then you go back and
you go, well, let's just like, you know, let's relitigate
(46:10):
Matt Naggy's time in Chicago, like because if you were
to tell, like if I were to tell you at
this point in time, Matt Eberflus had a winning record
and had taken that team to the playoffs twice. Are
we even having a discussion. It's not even like, no
but the reality is he's never done that, like never
(46:35):
in fact, like he's never won a road game on
a Sunday. With the Bears, Matt Naggy was an above
five hundred head coach and took that team to the
playoffs twice. And once you get a further away from
that and you see what has happened since, it kind
(46:56):
of makes you reassess your thought on what that whole
time was there. Like and I could tell you this
talent wise, especially offensively, like this team currently in Chicago
has way more than the team did when Matt Naggie
was there. Defense was still good. Vic Fangio was the
(47:19):
defensive coordinator and like all that, like but like talent,
and it just kind of makes you wonder when you
get away from it a little bit, like, oh damn,
Like now that I kind of come, I sort of
realize like, oh geez, maybe it wasn't that bad, and
you just look around the league you go like maybe
that should kind of be the approach, Like you get
(47:40):
away from me, you go, Okay, well, maybe maybe it
wasn't that bad. Like when people are talking about, like,
hey man, Matt Rule, what a failure he was in
the NFL, and then you come to find out like, hey,
what are the Panthers since he left? Maybe it wasn't
Matt Rule, you know, maybe maybe he wasn't really you
know the issue there. Maybe there were some other stuff
going on. We'll give you that impression. I don't know.
You see what happen to Frank Reich, you know, or
(48:02):
the fact that like you know, Chewba Hubbard, you know,
gets a contract extension. Everyone's like, hey, man, good for them,
they're keeping their own. It's like, okay, what about Christian
McCaffrey and DJ Moore and Brian Burns and like some
other ones that were there in Carolina that you could
have kept too, but you didn't. So just you know,
cautionary tale. Before you just come to the conclusion that
(48:23):
you're better off without somebody, why don't you give it
a little bit of time, because once all of the
healing happens and you go back and look at it
with a different viewpoint, you realize maybe it wasn't all
that bad when we had it before. Jonas Knox here
Fox Sports Radio at the Jonas Knocks on X at
the Jonas Knocks On X, and you can hang out
with us as always on the iHeartRadio app. By the way,
(48:46):
I would also say this if you're Matt Naggie because
like this subject came up where Adam Schefter reported during
the week that Ben Johnson, the offensive coordinator for the Lions,
who's like the hot commodity who which By the way,
speaking of that, like, how about the fact that Ben
Johnson like rejected the opportunity to be the Commander's coach
(49:07):
because he felt like it was too many basketball people
running the show there. Like that ought to tell you
everything you need to know about how important a quarterback is,
because whatever has happened in Washington is similar to what
happened in Houston. Like people were asking Tom go Ryan's like, hey,
what's changed there, Like what has happened in Houston? And
he just basically said, oh, we got a quarterback. Like
(49:28):
once Washington got a quarterback, It's amazing how much better
that job looked. But Ben Johnson is now the hot commodity.
And there's a conversation like, hey, is he going to
leave Detroit? Is he going to go somewhere else? Like,
and Adam Schefter's reporting like listen, there's gonna be like
eight openings potentially in the NFL. Right, there's going to
be a lot out there. He's not going to just
(49:49):
take any job. He's going to be very selective. He's
going to be very picky about it. He's gonna like,
if it's not the right job, he's not even gonna
interview for it. Like he's okay staying in Detroit, and
he should be. He's got a great setup there. Same
thing for Matt Naggy, Like if you're Matt Naggy like
and look, nobody's trying to just run Andy Reid out
of the league, but Andy Reid himself, and there's been
(50:11):
discussion that maybe he's gonna walk away from this whole
thing here sooner rather than later. Like, if you're Matt Naggy,
aren't you wouldn't you just stick around and take that gig?
Like wait a second, I can I can stay put
not have to deal with all the crap I dealt
with in Chicago where I'm trying to find a quarterback
or I'm trying to recruit Tom Brady in the off season,
(50:34):
or we're trying to bring an no, no no, like I've
got my guy, I've got my franchise quarterback. I've already
worked with him. The only change would be me becoming
head coach and kind of taking this thing over. Like
why would he leave that to go take another job
with one of these impulsive owners who's demanding results within
(50:56):
a year or two years and he's gonna be out
the door? Why why leave? If you're Ben Johnson and
you're looking around and it's like, all right, what jobs
are available? Oh what about Jacksonville. I'm good, We're good, Like,
I'll just stay here, Like if the job's not right,
why walk away from it? Like you make a great living,
(51:16):
You're in a stable organization, You've got a great group
of players around you. Why would you walk away from it?
Like there's got to be a real conversation and a
real discussion, not only for Mat Naggy this offseason, but
Ben Johnson as well too, Like why would you leave
comfort for crap? Like if you don't have to, why
(51:37):
do it? Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio at the
Jonas Knox on X at the Jonas Knocks on X.
By the way, quick update, eight and a half minutes
left to go in the fourth quarter. Georgia Tech has
a twenty eight sixteen lead over number four Miami. There's
a third down for the Yellowjackets there, so we will
keep you post on that. A potential major upset happening
(51:59):
in college football right now with Georgia Tech leading Miami
with eight and a half minutes left to go in
the fourth quarter. Coming up next here though, from the
Tirerach dot com studios, we are going to tell you
how one team in the NFL and people that follow
this team in the NFL are trying to do something
(52:19):
that is impossible. It's literally not possible. You cannot do it.
I don't care who you are, but they're still gonna try.
That's yours right here at FSR Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio. Yeah,
have fun fans in Germany. Who needs Ramsteile. But you've
(52:41):
got Giants Panthers on a Sunday. What a disaster. So
congratulations to all involved on the TGFG Game of the
Week from earlier. Kind of a no brainer this week
coming up here, we'll call it a little over ten
minutes from now from these Tirac dot com studios, we
are going to get into the nuts and bolts of
(53:03):
this show, so to speak. A lot of feedback here
also a potential upset taking place in the world of
college football right after they revealed the top twelve rankings
earlier this week. That'll be yours here again a little
over ten minutes from now. So I've come to figure
out this that there are some things that are just impossible.
(53:26):
They just are. Like I've just I've learned these things
all right. Like, for example, in my house, I'm never
gonna win an argument with my wife. Ever, it's never
going to happen. I've tried, I've tried everything, Like I've
tried to learn Spanish, can't do it. I can't never
(53:51):
going to happen. I'm also never going to get my
son to clean up every single one of his monster trucks.
I've tried, I've we have bribed him, we've done everything,
but there's always one sitting out and it's probably intentional.
Always Like those two things are impossible, never gonna happen. Ever,
(54:14):
I've tried everything, never gonna happen. You know what else
is impossible? The Dallas Cowboys making the playoffs. It's over, okay,
Like it is done. That's a wrap. We can sit
here and try and find the funny ways that this
(54:35):
could happen and navigate through these different paths and all
the like, it ain't ever gonna happen. It's over like
like this, like and they're trying everything, like they're trying
to sell you on Cooper Rush, like they're they're i'd
be coming up with all these different ways. It's almost
(54:57):
like they're gaslighting you, like trying to figure out all
these different ways that you know they could still you know,
win and uh, you know even though it's Cooper Rush,
don't worry about it because we got all these opportunities
coming up and we've got this and no, it's over.
It's over. It ain't happening. The season is done. Like
(55:24):
how much more obvious could it be. Dak Prescott on
the sideline during a game mouthed the words we fing suck.
He said those himself, and people are trying to break down.
(55:44):
Well what did he mean? Actually, you know, maybe, but no, no, no, no, no, no,
you know what he was he was honest because it's
the truth. They're not good. And we've talked about all
like why this shouldn't be a prize? Where did they
upgrade in the off season? This shouldn't be alarming to anybody,
Like well, okay, like listen, and I've taken ownership of
(56:07):
this all. Be accountable. I picked them to go to
the Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (56:10):
I did.
Speaker 1 (56:12):
And before you sit here and start taking shots at
me and laugh at me, wait till we get to
Knox Locks and keep your mouth shut, all right, because
I put something together last week. But that'll be coming
up later on the show. But this idea that like, oh, well,
you know, we've got all these two like we really
believe and go, okay, all right, okay, I mean listen
(56:36):
to their to you know, cut them a little slack.
What are they supposed to say, yeah, you know, listen,
seasons over? Like well no, but like we all know that.
It is like like we like we're aware, like we
all probably should have been aware that the season was
over after the game against New Orleans, Like if we're
being honest, like New Orleans just lost to Carolina and
(56:59):
fired their head coach. Coach, they annihilated the Cowboys. That
happened like this should not be you know, alarming to
anybody or surprising to anybody. But what's surprising is like
the people that are still holding on to hope, like listen,
still got it. It's like going to a carnival and
(57:23):
like you dump a glass of water on some kid's
cotton candy and he's still just holding on to like
the paper rod, and it's like, dude, what do you
what do you think is gonna happen. It's gonna like
morph back into cotton candy. It's over. Like your older
brother there, that scumbag, like he did it again. Mom
(57:45):
and dad paid eleven dollars for that cotton candy and
that kid dumped the water bottle over it, and it's gone,
man up and vanish like a fart in the wind.
You can't do anything about it. It's over. And like
you got people in the media, they're like cowboy honks
and like, oh baby, no, it's done. I mean you
(58:05):
like Mike McCarthy and Jerry Jones like don't even agree,
Like on the same day in press conferences or interviews,
like Mike McCarthy on Wednesday clearly states Cooper Rush is
our quarterback. We don't have a package of plays for
Trey Lance. We are focused on getting Cooper ready for
(58:27):
the game, just like we're focused on getting Micah Parsons
ready for the game. We need this full week of
practice and we need Cooper rush to get all the
opportunity and all the reps that he can get. Jerry
Jones Friday on the fan in Dallas, says this, well,
there is.
Speaker 2 (58:46):
A one to portray Lancer's packages that we can work on.
Speaker 1 (58:51):
And yes, there is one to protray what.
Speaker 3 (58:53):
Did you know what elements of his game of Lance's game?
Did you see the.
Speaker 2 (58:56):
Clear that's not just to get Lance and bytime, Yeah,
that's to bring to the tables.
Speaker 1 (59:04):
And Mike McCarthy says later in the day, like, Okay, yeah,
I'll run it by Jerry, like I'll you know what
we're gonna do. I haven't put together the first fifteen
plays yet, but I'll run dude. Like at some point
you just gotta call it like it's over, you know
what I mean, Like it's it's we're done. Like you
(59:26):
can't give successful CPR to a corpse. Like there's a
difference between the er and the morgue. Like there are
teams right now that are in the er, Like there
are teams that are in the er. They're trying, like
(59:49):
they they are trying, there's still potentially a chance, Like
there's a lot of like if you went around the
NFL right now, Like you look at certain teams, you go, hey,
that team's in the er right now. A right, that
team's in the er right like listen, I know like
they like, you know, like the Jets right now, the
Jets are in the er, right they are in the
emergency room right like that that's a real thing, right
(01:00:13):
The Cincinnati Bengals, they're in the er right but look
a little bit optimistic on the Cincinnati Bengals, Like that's
an er team. Same with the Colts, same with you
know ether Like listen, I mean you want to you
want to call out the Chicago Bears like they're in
the er right now, the Buccaneers, Like there's several teams
in the R. The Dallas Cowboys are in the morgue.
(01:00:34):
Like the toe tags have been printed. It's a rap.
It's done. Like they can try and find all the
different ways that all these possibilities in playoff scenarios and
this and that it's over with. Like Dak Prescott is
the adult in the room in Dallas, Like he's the
(01:00:55):
guy amidst all of this back and forth and drama
and all this stuff, and everybody wants to point to
the contract he got the contract. He got the I
got news for he was going to get the contract anyway. Sorry,
but like Dave, Prescott's been the adult in the room
this entire time, and the adult in the room just
took a step back and looked and said, we have
things suck like. It is what it is. So stop
(01:01:20):
trying to find a path to resuscitation and just zip
up the bag, put it on a gurney, say goodbye,
and wait for the funeral bill, which is going to
be about fifty thousand dollars. Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio
at the Jonas Knox on X. That is at the
Jonas Knox on X. By the way, football fans, be
(01:01:40):
sure to tune into Fox Sports Radio every Sunday morning

hours before kickoff. Every Sunday morning, listen to Countdown to
Kickoff presented by bet MGM right here on Fox Sports
(01:02:01):
Radio and on the iHeart Radio app. So we've got
a potential upset taking place in the world of college football.
For the latest on that, we turn it over to
Martin Wise.
Speaker 3 (01:02:16):
We sure do.
Speaker 5 (01:02:17):
Jonas and the Georgia Tech Gaelojackins just about to probably
punt it over to the Miami Hurricanes right now. The
last play was a third and one two yard loss
for Haines King on a running play. Now take that
down to the two minute time out in college football.
Haines King, that's took two yards off of his ninety
five yard total, making ninety three yards on the ground
(01:02:39):
for the quarterback thus far. He's also got a touchdown there,
Jamal Haynes another rushing touchdown, Aaron Filoh a touchdown through
the air, only eighty eight yards passing combined between two
quarterbacks playing for Georgia Tech today cam Wards got three
forty eight through the air twenty five for thirty eight
three touchdowns as well, and Miami missed a two point
conversion earlier today. Again, two minute time out there, Miami
(01:03:02):
will be likely getting the ball. As I imagine Georgia
Tech is about to punt the ball away here.
Speaker 3 (01:03:09):
It's all over in Florida and in Texas.
Speaker 5 (01:03:12):
It was so over that as I looked over Jonas,
as you were kicking the update to me. Matthew McConaughey
was telling jokes to quinn Ewers and they were sharing
good laugh on the sidewlink. Yeah, forty nine to seventeen
the final score. It was much bigger score than that is.
Florida did not score in the first half, as i'll
score thirty five to nothing. In the first half, quinn
Uwers had five touchdown passes nineteen to twenty seven, three
(01:03:33):
hundred and thirty three yards through the air. Aiden Warner
got to start for the Florida Gators after DJ Lagway
hurt himself last week. He was listed as a backup
for this game, but I mean he was carted off
last week, so didn't expect to see him and did
not see him even when the score got out of
hand here.
Speaker 3 (01:03:50):
Again. And then let's see what was the other game
that we had up here? It is now, Oh my
goods Ohio State and Perdue. That's what it was. A Yeah,
that was yet another blowout that's already ended. I'm looking
for the final scores.
Speaker 5 (01:04:00):
Forty five to nothing the last time that I saw,
and I think that's what it ended. Yep, exactly, forty
five to nothing. One in eight for Purdue eight and
one for Ohio State. Polar opposites. There Will Howard twenty
one for twenty six, two sixty through the air, three touchdowns.
Trayvon Henderson added another touchdown Jeremiah Smith. Of course, you
know this is another six catchers eighty seven yards in
(01:04:21):
a touchdown for you know, the two rookie, I mean
rookie freshman wide receiver. Just tearing it up right now.
In college football getting started in just a moment.
Speaker 3 (01:04:30):
We'll have a big.
Speaker 5 (01:04:32):
Slate Georgia, Mississippi, Michigan, and Indiana, indi Iowa State in Kansas.
Those are what between Georgia five losses combined between the
ranked teams and that in that slate, So looking forward
to that and the NFL Tyreek Hill has a wrist injury.
Head coach Mike McDaniel says he's either optimistic nor pessimistic
that he'll play, So keep that in mind, as he says,
(01:04:55):
the only thing that he knows is that he knows nothing,
says Mike McDaniels. And the Saints place wide receiver Cruit
lave On injury reserve after he suffered another concussion last week.
Speaker 3 (01:05:04):
Jonas back to you.
Speaker 1 (01:05:05):
Thanks. Martin Jonas Knox here on Fox Sports Radio. Hey,
by the way, how about the fact that and look,
the last thing we want to do is like celebrate
anybody here at the network, Like we try and be
team players on this show. Like, so the last thing
we want to do is like kind of bathe in
anybody else's misery. But I'd just like to point this out.
The Iowah Hawke guys have lost four times this year,
(01:05:28):
and Iowa Sam has been at half of those. How
about that, Like, Hey, Iowa was finally got an offense. Okay,
what happened to those two losses? You know, the one
to Iowa State and UCLA. Oh, you know, common denominator,
Iowa Sam was at both. What a disaster. So if
(01:05:52):
anybody wants to search him out on social media and
remind him that he is zero and two, that two
of them are four losses this year, he attended both
of those, just go ahead and search him out and
let him know your thoughts on that cute little win
loss record he's got put together here. Good God, at
(01:06:13):
some point you just gotta be like that's enough, that's
enough for the betterment of the program. I'm gonna sit
this one out. I'm just gonna go ahead and sit
this one out at the Jonas Knox on X at
the Jonas Knox and X. By the way, I also
like to point this out here because we were making
jokes about the game in Germany, I mean and rightfully,
so it's a terrible game, like it's the Panthers and
(01:06:35):
the Giants terrible Like I mean, people in Germany are
gonna be like, you know, drinking steins and like snorting
soft pretzels in like a Ramstein do host v neck
and they're gonna be looking at the Giants and Panthers
and going, what the hell is this? What is this like,
(01:07:00):
like like what are we doing here? Like can we
like is there like a can they at least like
throw on like a highlight tape of Dirk Noaviitsky, like
give us something here like anything. This is crap, But hey,
congratulations they were the TGFG game of the week because
if not for gambling, nobody be watching him. But I
will say this, people that cover the Giants, you gotta
(01:07:22):
stop asking every single week whether or not Daniel Jones
is gonna be the starter the next game. You gotta stop,
seriously every single week, Brian day Ball has to answer
the question, Hey, is Daniel Jones still your starting quarterback?
And every single week he says the same thing, Yes,
(01:07:42):
he'll be the starter. You gotta stop. But here's the thing.
I don't feel bad for Brian Dable and I don't
feel bad for the Giants. Like I mean, the media
is gonna keep asking the question. And although it's kind
of a waste of time, here's why they're asking question
because you opened the door to the questioning all off season,
(01:08:06):
all off season. The New York Giants basically let it
be known. We don't want him, Like we don't want him. Hey,
HBO's here, there's cameras, everybody's gonna watch this show. What
are your thoughts on Jaden Daniels. Oh, we'd move up
to draft him, but you already have a quarterback, like
(01:08:27):
they've like they've said it over so like there's a
reason why this is happening. I don't think it should happen.
I think we all know what the answer is at
this point. That's the bed that they made. They're gonna
lie in it. But like you opened the door to
all of this, like you let it be known, Like
(01:08:47):
Daniel Jones even sad. Yeah, a little frustrating, Like I'm
coming back from a knee injury, and all I keep
hearing it, it's like, oh, well, you already got paid,
You're already this SAQ one barkat. It's okay, I get it,
but like, what was I supposed to do? Not sign
the contract? Like, hey, guys, I'm not gonna sign this
deal that you're offering me. I'm gonna go ahead and
pass because in like a year and a half you're
not gonna want me anymore. No, you take the payday
(01:09:09):
and then that's that. And it's almost like the Giant, well, yeah,
he's gonna be the start of this week. But dude,
they opened the door to this sort of discussion during
the offseason. They had every opportunity to kind of like
not have any of this, Like none of this could
have been an issue. So if you're wondering why these
questions are still happening, I'm with you. They probably shouldn't
(01:09:30):
at this point, but it's the Giants who did it.
So that's why I can't feel bad for him. At
the Jonas Knocks On X. At The Jonas Knocks On X,
a lot of positive feedback here on the show. People
are real fired up here and definitely keeping it clean here.
On a Saturday afternoon of sports talk Radio, Vic writes
(01:09:52):

can speak more Spanish than Eddie Garcia. I mean, I
don't know why Eddie's got to catch astray here on

here at FSR, and he's got to catch astray, much
like Kirk curve Street's dog who apparently has pissed some

Derek writes in de writing Judas, the La media ball

where you can find more of that positive feedback here
on a Saturday afternoon. Coming up next here though, from
the Tirek dot com studios, we are going to have
another edition of Knox Locks and it's yours here on FSR.
(01:11:44):
Not exactly the greatest early slate of games in college football,
but we did have ourselves up to and upset here
and we'll get into that for you coming up here
just a couple of moments from now. Jonas Knox Fox
Sports Radio. By the way, coming up top of next
hour about fifteen minutes from now, make sure you stick around.
Alex Curry, Carmen Vitali will take over the airwaves here
(01:12:06):
on FSR shortly after the show here today. Our podcast
will be going up, so if you've missed any of it,
be sure to check out the pod, search Fox Sports
Radio wherever get your podcast. Be sure to also follow
rate and review it again. Just search Fox Sports Radio
wherever you get your podcast. You'll see this show posted
right after we get off the air. I'll also tweet
out a link to that at the Jonas Knoxes where
you can find that. But it did just go final.
(01:12:30):
Miami fourth in the country coming into this week, goes
down to Georgia Tech twenty eight, twenty three, And we
kind of mentioned this. They have been flirting with disaster
throughout the course of the season. If you've watched Miami
throughout the season, there's been some there's been several close calls,
you know, I mean Virginia Tech. We saw what happen
(01:12:53):
there on you know, the Hail Mary and all that
stuff at the end of the game, and the game
at col was a little bit dice The game against
Louisville the week after got a little bit dicey. But
they fall to Georgia Tech and so one of the
unbeatens in college football goes down early. And get a
listen to all the other games that were taking place,
(01:13:13):
like wipeouts. Everybody got annihilated, you know, Texas blew out Florida.
You saw what Ohio Sate did to pursue Ohio State
did to Purdue rather and so you see Miami fall
to Georgia Tech. So at least we got an upset here,
and the games are going to get better and better
throughout the course of the afternoon. So first upset of
the day, Miami loses to Georgia Tech. So number four
(01:13:36):
in the country. They're going to drop, obviously, and now
we wait to see how things shake out with the
rest of the Saturday in college football. Now it is
time for us to do something here on this show
in which, look, a lot of you out there like
to accuse us of being negative. You like to accuse
us of trying to push negative storylines and negative stories
(01:13:58):
that are out there. So why don't you, why don't
you let us tell you how it really is with
another edition of this.
Speaker 2 (01:14:07):
Lock It, Let's lock It Knox Locks.
Speaker 1 (01:14:13):
Well, Well, who's back at five hundred, baby, Yeah, all
of you blowhards out there talking all that noise about
all knocks locks. That's bad at all. Back at five hundred.
You don't know how you get back to five hundred
(01:14:34):
at this point in the season. You want to know
how you do it. You refuse to listen to the
negative feedback from you guys. That's what you do, all right,
ears closed, eyes open, locked in. It's like one of
my good buddies in radio told me back in the day,
Mike North, stay focused and fire away, baby. We don't
(01:14:58):
need to stand right and that's exactly what we did.
I told you last week. The Panthers are getting seven
and a half points against the New Orleans Saints. Now,
I know they're going to win the game out right
and get Dennis Allen fired. But I liked Carolina getting
that many points at home. I'm just not a believer
in New Orleans. And guess what they deliver. The Ravens
(01:15:20):
nine point favorites against the Broncos coming off whatever the
hell you call that against the Cleveland Browns. I loved
Baltimore in that game, and guess what they delivered. All
we needed was the Cincinnati Bengals at a seven point
favorite hosting the Raiders to come through, and we were
gonna be perfect on the week. Now. I didn't know
(01:15:41):
it was going to cost Luke Getzi and others their
job there on the coaching staff. Of the Raiders, but
that delivered as well too, So we get the Panthers
plus seven and a half, the Ravens minus nine, the
Bengals minus seven. That to three and aer week, which
puts US at thirteen thirteen and one for the season,
and we are back for more. The patriotsaid Bears. I'll
(01:16:06):
be honest with you, there's not a lot of confidence
in this pick, okay, but I'm gonna go ahead and
take the Bears minus six. They are a significantly better
team at home than they are on the road. Now.
The offensive line injuries are concerning, okay, a little bit
problematic when you can't even keep Caleb Williams upright normally
(01:16:27):
and you're missing both your offensive tackles. But I still
think there's gonna be some opportunities. I think they look
at this and are a little bit desperate. They were
sleep walking through whatever the hell you called that against
the Arizona Cardinals last week and got destroyed. They were
still hungover from the Hail Mary loss. I think they
get back home. I think they get back right. I'm
(01:16:47):
not super confident in this. I'm not gonna go to
the house on this and bet my mortgage, but I'll
say this, I think they bounce back. I think they're
significantly better than the New England Patriots, despite what Drake
Meant has shown, whatever flashes there are. I like the
Bears at home minus is six, Jet said Cardinals. Now.
(01:17:08):
The reason why I'm taking the Jets here minus one
and a half is because they're coming off some extra rest. Okay,
they've got a little bit extra rest. And I also
think the Jets are in a spot to where they
realize we've gotten no margin Forreyer. We've got zero margin Forrayer. Now,
what concerns me are a couple of things. Number One,
(01:17:28):
Arizona is a dangerous team. Kyler Murray is a dangerous quarterback.
He is tough to contain. We've seen them pull off
games that they probably shouldn't have won early in the season.
They beat the Bears last week and Kyler Murray did
virtually nothing like he ran up the stats and ran
up his numbers in that game. So they were able
(01:17:50):
to figure that out against Chicago last week. But I'm
looking at this game going all right, So, yeah, the
Arizona Cardinals are dangerous and I know the other poor
of this. It's a little bit of an issue is
the last time the Jets won on a Thursday night.
They lost like four in a row, and there was
a bunch of firings and all that stuff. But I
look at it and go, the Jets are desperate. They've
got extra time, they've got extra rest. I think Rogers
(01:18:13):
is going to be feeling healthy, and I think the
Jets realize they need to start putting up some w's.
The AFC is competitive, especially in the bottom of the
playoff bracket where they're going to be looking at. I'll
go ahead and roll the dice and I'll take the
Jets minus a point a.
Speaker 2 (01:18:26):
Half Dolphins and Rams.
Speaker 1 (01:18:30):
I'm gonna take the Rams. The Rams are a slight
favorite in this game on Monday Night Football. But I
look at this and I go, look, Miami's banged up.
I mean they are banged up. They were competitive against Buffalo,
but they're banged up. Now. Tyreek Hill's got an injury.
We have no idea what you can expect from Miami
on defense. They had a bunch of starters out last week.
I think the Rams are getting healthy while Miami isn't.
(01:18:53):
I think Cooper Cup is established himself. I think Pooka Nakua.
Hopefully he can keep it together and be healthy for
this game. Matt Stafford's starting to get healthier, the offensive
line is starting to get better, the defense is playing well.
They've got the defensive rookie of the year locked in
and verse. I'm gonna go with the Rams, a slight
favorite at home at the world's largest gazebo, Sofi Stadium
(01:19:15):
on Monday night. And that is your Week ten edition
of Knox Locks.
Speaker 3 (01:19:23):
Knocks.
Speaker 1 (01:19:25):
Not a whole lot of confidence this week, but you
know what, We're back at five hundreds, and the morals
of the story is, don't let the negative people tell
you how it is. You go make some Knox locks.
Speaker 3 (01:19:35):
Jonas Son of a Bitch,
