Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Week eleven, giving us a lot welcome in three games,
including what I think is the matchup that the NFL
loves the most welcome in. It is as Sunday as
we are broadcasting live in front of a studio audience
at the tierraq dot com studios. Tyreq dot com will
help you get there at unmatched selection, fast free shipping,

(00:24):
free road as a protection at over ten thousand recommended
in solos tirec dot com. The way TYR buying should be.
If you heard Martin say the Bills have a lead
on the Chiefs, Seahawks and Niners in a tight one
in San Francisco, and the Broncos just keep on Bronco
wing as they have the lead against the Falcons. But
our main story right now, Kerrie Rhodes, is who we
have in the studio right now, our studio audience. Two

(00:46):
very very special VIPs. Your mom and dad are here. Yeah,
my brother and sister is in the building. Yes, no,
mom and dad is. Mom and dad are here.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Today is mom's birthday, So here right a bit with
us and no, it's a great time to see them
and get catch up and just spend some some father
son mother son times.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
So it's happy birthday. We are we are very very
glad to have you with us. I know this probably
isn't the same in watching Carrie walk out of the
field with his great teammates that he had at Louisville
or with the New York Jets or Arizona Cardinals. But
I'll tell you what, I will disappoint you no matter what.
So at some point in the next five minutes, like

(01:29):
his teammates will will lift him up, I'll need Carry
to pick me up at some point because I'll say
something stupid. We have a lot, right, I mean, it happens.
I say stupid things every week, and Carrie is always
the voice of reason and the voice of knowledge here.
But we welcome Carrie's mom and dad into the to
the show today, and a happy birthday to mom. So
let's get into the brass tacks of everything, Chiefs, Bills.

(01:52):
This is the game. You know how I know it's
the game of the week, Carry Roads is because CBS,
even on a week where you have the Steelers and
Ravens playing an AFC North showdown in Pittsburgh, say uh huh,
nance Romo, you guys are going to Buffalo. This is
this is the game I think right now in the
National Football League that the NFL would put at the

(02:15):
top of their wish list. This is the This is
the Cowboys and Niners of the nineties. This is the
Colts Patriots of the two thousands. Chiefs Bills is the
ideal matchup for the National Football League. Not ideal Super
Bowl because I think that would always include the Dallas Cowboys.
But the matchup that we talked about the most, the
ideal matchup of the NFL is Chiefs Bills. And it's

(02:38):
a big one as the Chiefs are trying to remain unbeaten,
and if the Bills can get this win, they still
remain in the hunt for that number one overall seed.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
Yeah, this is the matchup that everybody wants to see
in the regular season, right. I Mean, they've had great
regular season games, the great matches in the playoffs they
have as well, and you know a lot of those.
A lot of times when these two teams play, it's
the quarterback that has the ball last. And that's what
you know, as fans, we want to see. We want excitement,
we want we want that curiosity in the game to

(03:05):
continue you and continue and keep going down the quarters
and quarters. That's it gets to the fourth quarter and
it gets to overtime and it starts to get to
that point of you know, who's gonna make the big player,
who's gonna make the big mistake. It always seems to
come down to that. And these two when these two
teams get together.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
This is a rivalry as well that we've seen over
the past few years. That last year finally had a
change of scenery because it seemed like they always played
in Kansas City. So then last year they go play
in Buffalo and Kansas City ends up winning that game.
There was a lot that was happening. There's a fumble
at the at the goal line that that cost Kansas
City points in a possession, But truly it came down

(03:42):
to Josh Allen getting pressure from Chris Jones as Dion
Dawkins was backed into Allen and it ended up preventing
what would have been a Buffalo touchdown and sealing a
Kansas City victory as they would go on and win
the Super Bowl. So these have been close games we've
seen before. I think the thirteen second game in the
Divisional playoff, a few years back is the most notable,

(04:05):
but again, this is just week eleven of the regular season.
I mentioned the stakes for Kansas City to remain unbeaten
in what Buffalo would need to remain in that race
for the number one overall seed, and that would be
a win today. But is there more that one of
these teams has to take from this game? Does Buffalo
need to grab something if they don't win, Does Kansas
City need to come away with something if they don't win.

(04:27):
Who needs what from this Bill's Chiefs matchup?

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Well, the crazy thing about this game is I think
Kansas City needs more in this game just from the
standpoint of this season for them has been a whole
bunch of close calls. Right to go into a situation
like this in Buffalo hostile environment, a team that you
know you could see later on down the road. I mean,
for Buffalo, they're a little injured in this game. They
come in limping a little bit, and so they haven't

(04:51):
a built in excuse. But with the Chiefs, they've had
some games where obviously for the last five six weeks
right where they've come down to the last, come down
to the wire and pulled a rapid out the hat
to win a game, but for this one, it'll be
a chance for him to say, no, we are the
team to be and it doesn't matter how we're winning,
we're gonna come into your building and beat you as well.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
I think it's on the Buffalo side of things, since
he took the chief side. As it looks like the
Chiefs are in the end zone. Xavier Worthy, on a
first in goal is able to dive over the pylon
and then he chucks the ball into the stand, so
it looks like we have a six to six game
with an extra point coming up from Kansas City. This
is a play that they will end up reviewing to
make sure that Worthy was not down prior to the

(05:32):
to the pylon on the pass from Patrick Mahomes. Worthy
was able to yeah, don't I think you're right about that,
and he had possession of the ball, ball came loose
as he crossed the goal line. That would be a
quick review. I think you're absolutely right. Carry. So the
Chiefs have tied this up. I don't know the outcome
of it. I do know that the Bills cannot right

(05:52):
or wrong from losing last year's playoff game with a
win today. They don't. They never compare. They never will compare.
But I do think what's important from Bulow is two things.
You're right, they come in a little banged up. There's
no Dalton kin Kine today, so one of Josh Allen's
favorite targets is not there. Amari Cooper is playing, but
it's not one hundred percent healthy. But I think Cooper

(06:12):
is a big part of it, because that's the reason
you go and you get Amari Cooper is four games
like this and for the playoffs, and we saw the
need for a big play, number one receiver for Buffalo
at times this season, and they've been missing that. So
I think that's one thing you have to do. But
the other thing that I think you have to do
is you have to get James Cook going in this game.

(06:34):
And the reason being is if you face this team again,
Josh Allen cannot beat the Kansas City Chiefs by himself,
not anymore. Maybe in the previous regimes, maybe with Stefan
Diggs and Gabe Davis and those teams they could, but
you're not going to. And if you're gonna play Kansas City,
you need a running game because of how good they
are on defense. So those are the two things that
I'm looking at today on the Buffalo side of things.

(06:55):
To see what they can do with James Cook good news,
he's in the end zone, bad news only three carries
for say yards. And then to see what they could
do with Amari Cooper as a thirty yard catch. I
agree with that.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
The one thing about this game which is gonna be
key for both teams is we know Chiefs can win
close games.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
We've seen it all year.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Yeah, can Buffalo do that in this situation where it
really matters? We need to see that as well. Two
minute warning in Denver. The Broncos continue to lead the
Falcons by a score of fourteen to six. Now Denver's
actually got the football now in Atlanta territory, bo Nicks
guy that you mentioned you were excited to watch, and
you walked in today twelve or thirteen, one hundred and

(07:33):
fifty yards in a touchdown, huh.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
And the Broncos are five and five right now. It
looks like it's a rematch of Super Bowl thirty three.
I said that before Ephram Salam came in today. I
wanted to say it early in the show, not late
in the show. But it's been all Denver so far
and Bo Nicks looking the part with just one incompletion.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
Yeah, Alanta's defense has been a disappointment for me. I
mean they went out and got you know, Justin Simmons
and those guys back there in the second area, and
they've been susceptible to big games. And so I mean
the way bo Knicks has been trending up, but it
looked like it was going to be a really good
spot for him to have some you know, some big
plays that And I know Denver is they're two and
two at.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Home this season, but I still think thin air doesn't
look like it's that cold today in Denver, but I
think at some point it'll play. There is still something
of a home field advantage with the Broncos because it's
so different. If the Broncos end up getting up now
by a couple of scores, it's going to have to
be the Kirk Cousins show. Cousins, by the way, just
ten or fourteen for ninety four yards so far in

(08:28):
the first half for Atlanta, So that Broncos defense is
the real deal in keeping him in check.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
Yeah, No, I mean this game, I looked, I checked
the I checked the weather before the game started, actually
to see if it was going to be a cold,
chilly day out there, because yes, the air stand, we
know you can kick the ball from seventy out there,
and so if it comes to that, obviously Denver would
have in advantage. But with Atlanta being an indoors team,
I wanted to know if the weather was going to

(08:53):
be back, what was the weather, what was the actual
fifty So it's good.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
It's a booful day out there. I saw girod Mayo
today in New England in a T shirt with the
Rams and Patriots playing. There have been games in October, yes,
where they have had snow like I remember, like the
Patriots and Tom Brady in two thousand and nine put
like sixty up on the Titans or something like that
when they were wearing the old oiler uniforms and that

(09:16):
was in a snowstorm. And here we are in mid November.
I've just been waiting for Mother Nature to kind of
step in and bring her bring her wrath to the NFL,
but it has not happened so far.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
No, it's been some great weather man, some really great
weather for these teams to go out, especially like you said,
I mean even in Buffalo right now. The fact that
they're playing a clear Sky's game and in Orchard Park,
the old Orchard Park, is a big deal. I'll tell
you another sign of the times. And it's the final
game that we've got in this early window, Seahawks against
the Niners. The Niners still have that cachet. And I'm

(09:51):
saying this as a lifelong Seahawks fan. Yes, the Seahawks
don't right now. I listen, thirty thirty years of my life.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
The Sea didn't have any cashake. Even when they went
to Super Bowl forty, people didn't really care. It wasn't
until Pete Carroll. It wasn't until the legs in a boom.
Actually wasn't until this uniform change. The whole deal was
kind of like all of these factors coming in and
now you don't have Russell Wilson anymore. He was a
part of it, and now they've kind of also been
the you know alsos in the NFC West don't have

(10:22):
that same maybe pizzaz as they once did. But it's
a seven to six ballgame. It's a divisional game. And
while it is huge for Seattle to stay in the
thick of things, I don't think San Francisco righted all
of their wrongs just because Jake Moody missed three field
goals last week and that was the reason it was
a close game against Tampa Bay. There's still a lot

(10:43):
that I think San Francisco has to go through and
figure out, and it's going to be a process of
the second half of the year. But I still think
that San Francisco has worked today and I think we're
seeing it in a seven to six ball game. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
No, San Francisco still has work to do. I we
talked about this. I mean, his team has a lot
of things going on, a lot of shoes that have
kind of distracted them from being the team that a
lot of people thought they would be this year. But
I mean, this is one of those games where they
can If they can win this game and get the
six and four and Starry get the ball rolling rolling
in their direction, then we'll see later on. But right now,

(11:15):
it's a lot of stuff they got to get fixed.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Would you put San Francisco in the class with Detroit
and Philadelphia right now? No way? Yeah, I wouldn't either. No, No,
But I think people expect them to, of course, and
I think that is a miscue on people's part to
just think that San Francisco is going to automatically be there,
and honestly, for as good as the Eagles have been,

(11:39):
I don't know what's stopping this Lion's juggernaut right now.
So that's where we are, at least in the NFC.
The extra point in Buffalo was good. Chiefs are up
seven to six on the Bills. Again, we told you
it's a seven to six ball game. Seahawks with the
football in their own territory, trying to put a drive
together as they're late in the first half, while Denver's
facing now a third and three at the Falcons twenty

(11:59):
six yard line, up fourteen to six, and it looks
like they're going to get the first down inside the
red zone. Just inside the twenty yard line. Courtland Sutton
becoming a favorite target target of bo Nix, gets a
first down, So a minute thirty forty go until halftime.
There in the Broncos will have a fresh set of
downs at the Falcons nineteen yard line. He is carry roads.

(12:21):
I'm Dan Byer live from the tire Ac dot Com studios.
We need to have a blue Sky conversation by the
way you can find me on Blue Sky at Dan Byer.
That's b E y E R simile as can be
Blue Sky, Dan Carretty, Oh carry Roads. Hey, listen. Chris
Purfeta technical producer, can attest to this. Chris, I've been

(12:44):
on Blue Sky for almost a year now, right because
Chris Purfett and I were the only ones at Fox
Sports Radio on Blue Sky in twenty twenty three.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
And you're like stretching out and trying out threads and
a couple other things. And I think now we've just
seen the big push for people to finally use it.
So I have been waiting.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Well, everybody's announcing I'm leaving X. We don't care. We
don't need to hear your proclab. Mason. I did not
say that, I'm leading at What I said was if
you would like to find me on Blue Sky, that's
where you can. I didn't say abandoned me on X. No,
you did not. No, everybody else is is fed up
with it. I'm I'm just adding to the repertoire. I'm

(13:23):
not I'm not replacing. That is not what's happening at all.
But you can look at this Blue Sky notification right now,
all right, bo T Benson, our executive producer, has followed me.
Oh but yeah, oh no, bo is gonna get a
follow back. Let's try to Let's try to crank up
this blue sky thing. If you want to get Carrie

(13:45):
on X at Carrie twenty five Roads. But you can
find me yes at Dan Bayer dot bsky dot social.
That's where you would be. E y e R is
where it is, all right, coming up Steelers Ravens today.
The imperfect perfection that is that an AFC North rivalry
and in the NFC North there should be a head

(14:06):
coach that should be fired tonight. We'll talk about it.
He's carry roads on, Dan Byer. It's all next here
on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (14:24):
Snap Lamar moving out to the left, Lamar being strung out,
and Lamar slings it backhand incomplete and the Steelers defenses
come up.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
With a stop once again. Here's Dan Byer and Carrie Rhodes.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
It is week eleven in the National Football League and
the highlights there courtesy of one of two point five
WDVE and the Steelers radio network. As the Steelers get
the huge stop on the two point conversion, allowing them
to preserve that two point lead, and then they were
able to run the clock out. Almost didn't thanks to
Justin Field sliding early on a second down run, but

(15:02):
the Steelers prevail eighteen to sixteen. He is Carrier Roads.
Hit him up on X at Carrie twenty five roads
find me at dan Byer on Fox on X and
Blue Sky Danbyer dot Blue sky dot social I will
have some response that we've got Carrie already from social
media on Blue Sky. Yes, the work is coming in.

(15:26):
But since we went away, bon Nicks threw a touchdown pass.
James Cook got into the end zone and the Seahawks
are planning to punt, So that sums up what we've got.
Denver's up twenty one to six on the Falcons, ten
seconds to go until halftimes. Bon Nicks has thrown now
his second touchdown pass, this one the Marvin Mims who
did a lot of the work to get into the
end zone. James Cook did a lot of the work

(15:47):
to get Buffalo into the end zone on a touchdown
run as they are up on Kansas City right now,
thirteen to seven, and the Niners still hold on to
that seven to six lead over the Seahawks the end
of the first half, about thirty seconds to go in
the first half. But the Steelers get a win today
against the Ravens. They did not convert on the two
point conversion. As you saw Lamar Jackson was pressured as

(16:11):
he was rolling out. You did not like the personnel
that Baltimore had in that con test, specifically in that
two point play. Yeah, the two point play was a disaster.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
They the first time when the Steelers did a Kodak situation, right,
So they let Baltimore line up, they call a time out.
That's called a Kodak So you're gonna take a picture
of what they line up in the formation, the personnel
take a picture, call time out. Put ourselves in the
best position to stop that. So what Baltimore tried to
do on the next on the next snap was give

(16:45):
them a different look. Seemed like they were going to
try to obviously get Lamar on the edge with a
run pass read. It looked like but the play was
destroyed from the beginning. But if you're going to do
a run pass read, why not have your best running
option on the field. Sure, and they did not have
Dereck Henry in on that possession, which obviously they were

(17:05):
in two minute mode. Two minute mode, they're going to
have probably Justice Hill or another running back in that
situation to give them the best pass option release for
Lamar in that situation. But two point play, they didn't
call a time out, so they didn't get Dereck Henry
on the field to give them the best position to
make that play successful. Bad, bad play to get down,

(17:29):
to be held the way they were held all game,
and to finally get a drive in a two minute
to score and have a chance to tie it up
and not have your best players on the field, it's
just it's just blasphemy.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
So let's break that down just a little bit more.
Because you said that Derrick Henry is their best runner
on the team, I think someone say that it's Lamar Jackson. Sure,
if it's an obvious pass situation or you think that
Baltimore is going to pass in this scenario, what pressure

(17:58):
does that put on the defense? Like I get like
you're there's a pressure if Dereck Henry is in the game,
you're thinking, Okay, it could be run or pass. But
I would also have to think that if you're Todd
Monk in the offensive coordinator, you have to think that
there is some value and maybe saying hey, yeah, we're
gonna air this, but you're gonna have to worry about
Lamar Jackson no matter what you do. Would there be

(18:20):
any reasoning on why maybe you could see why Monken
would call that situation where it would be a different
scenario with him out that maybe they're just worried that
Pittsburgh would just have to be worried about Lamar making
a play by himself. Doesn't that provide, you know, I
guess a scary situation for Pittsburgh to try to figure
out or a disadvantage at least against the Steelers defense.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
Well, the only scary proposition, well not the only, but
the main scary proposition in that situation with just Lamar
in the backfield would have been an empty situation because
if you're empty, then you're able to get that other
extra defender out though sure out of the way. So
if you want to do it that way, that would
be the best best But if you're going to have
Justice Hill and you might as well have Derrick Henry in. Yes,

(19:04):
that makes some sense. A huge win for the Steelers today,
And the reason I called it imperfection perfection is because
for a while, I mean, we mentioned Chiefs Bills, which
I think is the ideal matchup that the NFL has
right now.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
In its game today. Steelers Ravens was another rivalry that
I mean has lasted so long, And there was a
clipse circulating this week of a Ravens Steelers matchup where
Mike Tomlin and John Harbar are talking at midfield and
Tomlin basically says, We've been doing this so long. I
remember talking about what Halloween costumes our kids are going

(19:38):
to be in, and now all of our kids are
fully grown. So that's how long that those two have
been going at it. But it is such a Pittsburgh
Steelers victory to get a defensive stop, but doing it
after you allow Baltimore to drive the field following you
taking an eight point lead. Also, there was a stat
that was mentioned during the broadcast that Pittsburgh and the

(20:01):
Chargers are the only two teams of the NFL this
year who have not given up a point after their
offense turns the football over it. Yeah, and so Russell
Wilson threw an atrocious interception for the Steelers in the
fourth quarter into the end zone up five, when you
were just looking for points and Pittsburgh's defense was able

(20:22):
to make a play, and there was a turnover by Wilson,
the rookie linebacker out at NZ State. Who makes it magnificent, right,
deal of the football, of Justice Hill, lot of play,
who turned the football over? All of those things? It
is this, It is this. It's the yin and the
yang of the Steelers and Ravens, and you've got it

(20:42):
back and forth and back and forth, the good and
the bad, the here, the there. It was all on
display today and just so fitting. And it's fitting that
the game ends eighteen to sixteen. You know, it's not
like twenty four to twenty one, twenty four to twenty.
It's eighteen to sixteen. And that is everything of Pittsburgh
and Ballimore written all over it.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
And just the unknown factor of that, right, the knowing
that we know going into that game is it's going
to be physical. It's probably not going to be a
lot of points because I mean, even come into this game,
both offenses obviously we're playing I mean, the Ravens are
number one, but you know, Pittsburgh had been playing really
well on offense coming into this game. It's going a
few points here and there, but for the game to

(21:21):
be eighteen sixteen low scoring happened Justin Tucker missed two
field goals. It's like you just don't know what's going
to happen when it comes to a robbery game, and
it was on display again today.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
Yeah, the Justin Tucker story is a story we've been
following throughout the season, and I know it's a conversation
in Baltimore. It just doesn't seem that Justin Tucker is
what he once was, not only the length of the
field goals that you're no longer getting, just even the
accuracy on some of those. And that was a huge
advantage for Baltimore for so many years, and now I'm

(21:52):
not sure if they have the advantage. The Chiefs have
punted it back to the Bills. Bill's getting a nice return,
so they'll take over in Kansas City territory with minutes
to go until halftime. It's one of three games that
we are watching right now to give us up to
date on what's happening in that game and all of
the others. It's head to the news desk Martin, whit's
hanging out with us sun Week eleven. What's happening Martin.

Speaker 6 (22:12):
We'll start at halftime between the Broncos and the Falcons.
Twenty one to six. The score between Denver and Atlanta.
Bo Nicks with the touchdown passing Monte Williams of a
touchdown run.

Speaker 7 (22:23):
Seven to six to score. Seattle and San Francisco.

Speaker 6 (22:26):
Brock Purdy has the touchdown for San Francisco, rushing touchdown.
That is, as Seattle has kicked two field goals so
far in the first half. Nine to six left in
the second quarter for Kansas City and Buffalo. Like Dan
just said, it's going to be first to ten for
Buffalo on Kansas City's forty one yard line after a
punt return there. We saw it's like in thirteen to
seven the score there. Earlier today we saw the Lions

(22:49):
pound the Jaguars fifty two to six. Jared Goff had
four touchdowns on a perfect passer rating. Packers survive after
they block a forty six yard field goal as time expires.
Twenty to nineteen. The score against the Bears. That's the
second week in a row we've seen a block field
goal lead to a win as Kansas City State undefeated.
Last week blocking denvers field goal, Vikings beat the Titans

(23:10):
twenty three to thirteen.

Speaker 7 (23:11):
Sam Donold had two touchdown passes.

Speaker 6 (23:13):
Will Levis had a ninety eight yard touchdown pass and
an interception. The Steelers hold on to beat the Ravens
eighteen to sixteen and failed two point conversion by Baltimore
Russell Wilson two hundred and five yards through the year
and an interception. George Pickins eight catches in eighty nine yards.
Derrick Henry sixty five yards on the ground on thirteen carries,
one touchdown. He scored a touchdown at least every week

(23:35):
of the season thus far.

Speaker 7 (23:36):
Colts.

Speaker 6 (23:37):
Colts edged the Jets twenty eight to twenty seven. Anthony
Richardson had a rushing touchdown with forty six seconds left
on the clock to go ahead and give the Colts.

Speaker 7 (23:45):
To the winning edge.

Speaker 6 (23:46):
Aaron Rodgers eighty four yards passing and two touchdowns. Dolphinsof
scored the Raiders thirty four to nineteen two. A tongue
by Lowell with two eighty eight through the air and
three touchdowns. Devon eight han seventy three on the ground
and a touchdown. Brock Powers sets the record for most
catches by a rookie tight end in the single game
in the NFL history, with thirteen catches, one hundred and
twenty four yards and a receiving touchdown Rams Top to

(24:07):
Patriots twenty eight to twenty two. Matthew Stafford had four
passing touchdowns. One of those was caught by Puka and Nakula.
Drake May two touchdowns and an interception for the rookie
two eighty two through the air. Saints with a big
win over the Browns. I say big, I meant to
say Taysom Hill with a big day. Seven carries, one
hundred and eighty three yards and two touchdowns, three touchdowns.

Speaker 7 (24:26):
We'll start on the ground for.

Speaker 6 (24:27):
The tight end, slash quarterback, slash do everything guy. He
also had an interception and a fumble in this game.
Busy guy. Two hundred and forty eight yards and two
touchdowns for Derek Carr through the air, Jamis Winston nearly
four hundred yards and two touchdowns as well. Inside The
NBA will live on past. This season was supposed to
be the final year last year this year, but ESPN

(24:48):
has licensed to air the show starting next season. They'll
keep the show intact. This is a part of a
settlement with Warner Bros. Warner Brothers Discovery lawsuit. The show
will continue to be pre produced by Team Anti College Football.
The top five no changes. Oregon It's sixty two first
place votes. That's what eleven and zero record will get you.
Ohio State nine and one. They're the second team and

(25:10):
the second ranked team, Texas third, and Penn State and
Indiana round out the top five. LSU unranked for the
first time in two years. Dan Carry and Carrie's parents.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Yeah, back to you, guys. I love the Big Ten
and nolve. If there's no way they have four of
the five best teams of college football. Absolutely not, absolutely not.
He is Martin Weise, not yet on Blue Sky, but
soon to me is that I'm there. Oh you're there,
Mark for Martin O man, I was there. I got
there early with you guys. I was there last year.

(25:40):
But I'm just Martin Wise on everything. He's Martin Weiss
on everything. Bo Benson as our executive producer. I just followed.
Bo bow has been there for a while as well,
so they can get you. And that's b E A U.
Benson right, that's where they can find you on Blue Scott. Yeah, correct,
And I'm on Blue Scott Chris Purfett, our technical producer
on Blue Sky, Carrie, where can they find you on

(26:02):
Blue Sky? Can I me on Blue Sky? Never?

Speaker 8 (26:06):
Never? Ever?

Speaker 3 (26:06):
I'm done? What's social media after? I don't need anymore.
I don't need any more reach. I don't want any
more people reaching.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
You could right now on Blue Sky say, I can't
believe Josh Allen just through that interception, allowing the Chiefs
to have the football in Bill's territory, nobody will see it.
Come on, follow, you got to build your followers. That
is actually actually what happened. And you mentioned Buffalo being
a bit shorthanded today. It's crazy because I think that
Josh Allen and Dawson Knox usually are on the same page,

(26:35):
but on that time they were not, and Josh Allen
thought Dawson Knox was going one place and Dawson Knox
went another. The ball ended up being intercepted by Kansas City.
So while the Bills got the football back in Chief's territory,
they were unable to do anything with it. I think
your dad got a text. That's right, it's probably somebody

(26:55):
wishing your mom a happy birthday.

Speaker 8 (26:56):
Probably is.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
And through all of this Blue Sky hype, the awesome
thing is Carrie's parents are in studio with us and
it's his mom's birthday today. Yes, so we are. We
are celebrating her and it is great, too great to
hear the uh the responsor Blue Sky. By the way,
Marcel listening in La ends up following me. He's got
his he got his shout out. A short weird Raven

(27:20):
had to pull over so he could follow me on
Blue Style. This is this is what is happening. Yes,
Dan Byer, that's b E y e r dot b
sky dot. Social is where you can find it. All right,
Bill's up on the Chiefs. But Kansas City now with
that huge turnover, Seattle and San Francisco are at the half,
as Martin told you in that seven to sixth game.

(27:42):
And I saw a stat this week. This has been
going on because it's been a crazy couple of weeks
for the Seahawks. Traded away there leading Tackler a week
or two ago, and then this week they lost Connor Williams,
their starting center who had started every game. You're absolutely right.
He retired the Seahoux had signed twelve. I got to
bring this this seat up because, by the way, what

(28:03):
would it take you, What would it take you to
retire mid seasons as Connor Williams did trying to come
back from a knee injury. But what would it take
for you to say, all right, I cannot do this anymore?

Speaker 3 (28:16):
Yeah, I think it's being able to play at the
level that I once played at would probably do that
or something that's going on at home. Is there some
any famili stuff?

Speaker 2 (28:27):
Well, what I can say with this is Connor Williams
had a really tough knee injury last year with the
Miami Dolphins. Trying to make it back this year wasn't
the same. There have been there have been some snapping problems,
but the production that they were getting out of Connor
Williams wasn't what you would expect from Connor Williams. And
that could be a part twenty seven years old. And
Mike McDonald said earlier this week and in talking about it,

(28:47):
that somebody asked like, could there be a possibility where
he returns and while he didn't want to get into
the privacy and the private conversations, says it wasn't likely
going to happen, but this was This was an information
for Corbyn Smith, who covers the the Seahawks Lockdown Seahawks
podcast Seahawks on SI a good follow if you're a

(29:08):
Seahawks fan, said the Seahawks of the eleven free agent
signings who are with the team when training camp started
that we're on the roster are active, only four remain. Wow,
we're in week eleven. Yeah, there's there's still a third
of the season to go. And of the eleven guys,
three are injured reserve, one retired, and two were traded.

(29:31):
Another one was released. It's Tyrell Dobson was the one
that the leading tackle that ended up being released. These
are all the moves and what that tells me is
there is right now a disconnect between what the general
manager and what the head coach is doing. Sure, and
Mike McDonald comes in, John schneiders there has been there forever.

(29:54):
So now it's kind of his show. Without Pete Carroll
giving his two cents, You wonder how many cents might
McDonald actually had. Considering John Senter's like, thank goodness, I
can finally run a draft and do free agency how
I want to on my own. But with these moves
that are being made and guys being released that are
starters and guys that are being retired, you wonder if

(30:14):
Mike McDonald actually got the guys that he wanted, because
it sure seems like Seattle is completely crapped out on
any of their free agent moves that they've made this year.

Speaker 3 (30:23):
That's one hundred percent right, Like your GM and your
head coach have to be married, and it has to
be has to be a happy marriage because obviously there
are moments when you know, philosophy comes into play a
lot of times. We talked about it last week, where
they're joined at the hip GM head coach. The conversations
that they have have to be on the same page.
They have to know what the head coach wants to

(30:45):
get done and the GM needs to know that and
operate from that standpoint. And obviously there's a disconnect that's
going on there.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
There's one thing about being in the playoff hunt and
there's another thing about being a playoff team. The Seahawks
can sit there and say that they're in the playoff
hunt because Arizona's sitting there in their division at six
and four, and they haven't played Arizona yet, so you've
got an opportunity to play two games against them. Seahawks
are four and five right now. You lose today, you're
four and six, you're two games back of Arizona, So

(31:12):
you'd have to sweep plus a forty nine Ers team.
All that being said, you think of the playoffs and
now you're going to win the division. They're not a
playoff team like that. They are not a playoff team
right now. They're in the hunt, but they're not a
playoff team, and there is a big, big difference between
the two. He's carry Rhoades. I'm Dan Byert. We are
live with the Tyraq dot Com studios. Just underway in
the second half, Broncos up on the Falcons twenty one

(31:35):
to six. Atlanta has the football to start the second half.
We told you about that Chiefs turnover. They now have
it first down and ten at the Bills thirteen yard
line for twenty to go, and Patrick Mahomes is going
to scramble for his life and end up throwing it
into the end zone. Actually just shy of the end zone,
and it looks like it was caught. Is that Noah
Gray or who is that on the reception? It wasn't

(31:57):
Travis Kelcey. I go think Kelsey. But the Chiefs now
could be set up first in gold inside the five
yard line of the Buffalo Bills, so taking that turnover
and possibly getting some points out of the Kansas City Chiefs.
And we told you the Seahawks and Niners are at
the half seven to six. He is carry roads. I'm

(32:18):
Dan Byer. I'll look at your fantasy numbers. The Chiefs
are knocking on the door here. We'll tell you what
they do on this first and goal play. What do
you do, Kareem Hunt? You just keep it in the
hands of Mahmes Ye. That's and it's a there's a
timeout that allows us to take a time out as well.
He is carry roads. I'm Dan Byer. We'll tell you
what the Chiefs do. Plus look at fantasy numbers. Next

(32:39):
here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 8 (32:40):
He looks at the diamond.

Speaker 5 (32:41):
Now he throws a yard game from the end zone,
touchdown Kansas City. Nowhere great peeled out of the diamond and.

Speaker 9 (32:49):
The Chiefs fine diamonds on the diamond mine for a
two yard touchdown on third down and goal to go
at the.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
Two back to Dan Bayer and Carry Rhoads.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
That highlight courtesy of nine six point five to the
fan of the Chiefs Radio network. And yes they did
cash in off that Buffalo turnover extra point was good
for Kansas City again playing without Harrison butker and we'll
do so for the next month or so. So Kansas
City with a fourteen to thirteen lead on the Bills
to forty four to go until halftime. They are in

(33:20):
the second half. In Denver. It's been all Broncos today,
up twenty one to six on the Falcons early in
the second half in that contest, while the Seahawks and
forty nine Ers in an NFC West tilt right now
seven six ballgame, and the Seahawks have just turned it over,
so Gino Smith picked off, so the forty nine Ers

(33:41):
will be set up in Seahawks' territory just a minute
gone by in the second half.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
Gino has fallen a little bit here, huh. He's becoming
a turnover machine here this season, throwing it throwing a
lot of untimely interceptions with Seattle this year.

Speaker 2 (33:55):
There's i don't think that he's I do think that
he's trying to do too much. Let me let me
just put it that way. Yeah, but I and and
that's where this that's where the balancing of of Geno
Smith comes out, because I hear a lot of Seahawks
fans say, we got to get rid of Geno Smith,
we need a new quarterback. He is not the problem,

(34:19):
but when you make throws like that, it makes it
seem like he is part of the problem. What Gino
Smith does what bad quarterbacks can't do, is they can't
get the football to their to their players. And we've
seen him get the football to Jackson Smith and Jigbo.
We've seen him get the football to Tyler Lockett and
obviously DK Metcalf coming back from his from his knee injury.
But there are times when he presses. There are times

(34:40):
when they because they don't have they really don't have
a running game. And yeah, it's it's he sometimes tries
to do a little too much. But he is not
the main problem in Seattle.

Speaker 3 (34:50):
Yeah he does enough, no no see, and yeah he's
I think he does enough as well, But he just
for me, it seems like he has one hundred percent.
You're say, I think he's pressing, trying to make plays
knowing that he has to make them. And when you
get in that situation, it's never good for a quarterback
when you're.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
A touchdown to I t ratio is almost one to one. Yes,
it's an exact things point. Let's talk about some good things.
By the way, the Niners third and one of the
Seahawks eighteen yard line right now, trying to cash in
on that Gino Smith turnover. We'll tell you what they
do here on third and one, and it's Christian McCaffrey
getting about two yards as the offensive line pushes him

(35:29):
maybe to about three, so it gets down to about
the fifteen and a half yard line. They'll have a
first and ten. Let's go to bow Benson now for
some fantasy numbers.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
Fantasy hits and missus.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
All right, though, what do you got for Week eleven?

Speaker 10 (35:45):
That's right at the quarterback spot the presumptive League MVP
Jared Goff four hundred and twelve yards, four touchdowns today
making up for that disastrous five interception game last week.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
You said, what the league MVP did? I that you
said that carry Carrie. By the way, Carrie has another
take that he's worked shopping that we could that could
be released later on to this show. He wanted to
unveil it like like you did Bow, but then then
he's like, holdout, Yeah, he's a hold on a second,
let me look this up. Hold on so later on

(36:18):
in the show. If not, you won't catch it on
Blue Sky. But that's where you can find me. Dan
byerbskuy Dot Social all right, both.

Speaker 10 (36:25):
Triumphant return to the starting lineup for Anthony Richardson and
the Colts. Two hundred and seventy two yards passing, a touchdown,
thirty two yards rushing, and two touchdowns on top of
that for him running back Wise Breeze Hall of the
Jets seventy eight yards today touchdown rushing, touch on receiving,
David Montgomery of the Lions seventy six yards rushing, two
touchdowns for him. Pass catchers today, I'm in Ross Saint

(36:46):
Brown Magnificent Day. Eleven catches, eleven targets, one hundred and
sixty one yards and two touchdowns for him and turning
back the clock. Cooper Cup of the Rams six catches,
one hundred and six yards and two touchdowns, including a
sixty nine yard bomb opened the second.

Speaker 2 (37:01):
Half of them, I know. And not to make this
more Lions talk. By the way, if you want Lions talk,
just listen to Chrispera. When does the podcast drop? Each
you got.

Speaker 4 (37:10):
Reported the day after the Lions game. I think we're
setting up to record live tonight. Okay, So the Pride
of Pride to Detroit of Detroit. The Lions beat the
Jaguars forty four to nothing in December of nineteen ninety five,
and that was the worst loss by the Jaguars of
the Jaguars until today to the Lions again and again.

(37:33):
These teams play every four years, so it's not like
it they are always facing each other.

Speaker 2 (37:37):
But that's how bad it was for the Lions. All Right,
good job Boat. He'll have some more hits and misses.
If I were to tell you that Lamar Jackson was
the MVP heading into week eleven, the had the shortest
odds for being an MVP, Yeah, would you be shocked
with that? No, No, you're giving me that look. That

(37:57):
didn't translate on radio, which just was dead air. He
gave me that look. BOE's point of Jared Goff. He
was twelve to one he was tired with Jalen Hurts
with the fourth shortest odds. Would that be surprising? No? No, no,
so now in the last and it's only been twenty
four hours. Okay, this has only been twenty four hours.
It hasn't been seventy two hours. I heard Hartman and

(38:18):
Rich talking about it. Kyle Brantstone a video the Saquon
Barkley for MVP. Like when you're watching on Thursday night,
you see the value, but for some reason, it wasn't
a conversation on Friday all of a sudden, now becomes
a conversation on Sunday when you're talking about the MVP.
And I don't know if I'm giving people too much

(38:39):
credit by saying that they sat down and then analyzed
the MVPs and then realized it, or if all of
a sudden they were like, huh, maybe I should make
Sakuon Barkley the MVP. But he was two hundred to
one heading into this week as MVP. I'm not sure
what his odds are. I don't know if you guys
know it either, But would you say, say Akwon Barkley

(39:00):
is firmly now in the MVP conversation, say Kawan.

Speaker 3 (39:03):
Barkley's definitely in the MVP conversation. It's just for a
running back to win that normally, the criteria is they're
probably over two thousand yards, right, I don't think he's
going to get that rushing he'll get he'll get I
mean he does a lot in the past. Yeah, I
could get eighteen to ninetive, So it's it's gonna be
hard for running back to win. I mean, Derek Henry

(39:24):
was in it a couple of weeks ago, so it's
just it's a revolving door.

Speaker 2 (39:27):
The funny thing is is you need quarterbacks to stink, yes,
and so golf throwing five interceptions was the perfect remedy
for But then he to BoA's point of now calling
him the MVP, you know, corrects it today. But Holmes
hasn't been great, but he's top three because of his name,
Josh Allen actually his I mean, he hadn't turned the
ball over as much as he had previously. But of

(39:48):
course the Bills are winning, so you put them into
the conversation. I don't want to say it's a perfect
storm like thing, but these are the weather conditions that
would allow a non quarterback to possibly be the MVP,
and I still think Derrick Henry he deserves a bunch
of consideration for that honor. Otherwise we're really going down
the list. All right, Bills have the football. They're now
driving in Chiefs territory at the twenty seven yard line.

(40:10):
But it's Kansas City up fourteen to thirteen, Niners of
the Seahawks seven to six, Brocers over the Falcons twenty
one six in the third three games, and right now,
the game of the week in the NFL is at
the half. As you heard Martin say, Bill's up on
the Chiefs, Kirk Cousins was just picked off by the
Broncos defense. They continue to be the story in Denver

(40:31):
while the forty nine Ers have a four point edge
on the Seahawks, as the Seahawks defense was able to
hold San Francisco to a field goal, but then the
Seahawks offense, not protecting Gino Smith, ends up taking a sack.
And again the stat if you're just joining us, these
Seahawks averaging third to nine, it's the worst of any

(40:52):
team on third downs, they have an average of nine
yards to go, the worst of any team this century.
Was the stat that Joe Davis gave for Fox on
their broadcast today, and look at the Seahawks right now,
facing third and twelve at the twenty eight yard line.
We are broadcasting live for the tierrack dot com studios.
Tyreq dot com will help you get there at unmetch selection,
fast free shipping, free road has a protection and over

(41:14):
ten thousand recommended an installers tyrec dot com the way
tire buying should be. Seahawks have it bad, but they
did just get it first down as Gino Smith was
able to hit Dk Metcalf. I believe you got both
feet in, but could have maybe taken it to the
houses as the defender I think been on a fate
fake Bye Gino Smith, And that was the case. But

(41:34):
Dk Metcalf's now in forty nine ers territory just across midfield.

Speaker 3 (41:38):
You know what happens when you live in third and nine?
What happens a whole bunch of interceptions? Yeah, yeah, it does.

Speaker 2 (41:44):
That would make sense. And that was third and twelve.
Dk Metcalf, back from spraying ligament in his knee, four
catches for forty nine yards. Again just a four point game.
Seahawks are the playoff hunper right now, not looking like
a playoff team where there's a lot that's happening. The
Falcons look completely unfalcon like, or maybe it is falcon like,

(42:07):
depending on which where you're going with it. Where Cousins
throws an interception, Denver's defense is just really really good.
But Atlanta unable to get any separation in the NFC
South and likely won't today. Panthers are on by, Buccaneers
are on by, and the Saints ended up getting a win,
so now things can tighten up in the NFC South.

(42:28):
Nick Bosa, by the way, who was questionable coming into
the game, it's just kind of limped off for San
Francisco holding his side. Wasn't helped off, but walked off
on his own power. But something to watch. But the
NFC South, I think is going to be a topic
of conversation again when you look at the NFC and
you have a team like Washington, you have a team
like Philadelphia, and heck and the NFC North. Green Bay

(42:49):
gets that win against the Bears today and you'll get
to hear how that happened in just a second. But
you have the Lions atop the division, and you're gonna
have Green Bay and maybe for right now, for the argument,
for the purposes of this argument, you're gonna have Green
Bay and Washington having to go on the road such
an advantage for winning your division in the in the NFL,

(43:09):
and getting a home game for that, to me is
just one of those As much as people like to
argue the fumble out of the end zone rule, I
like to argue the playoff and the home game for
the division winner is just way too much value for
that small of an accomplishment.

Speaker 3 (43:24):
Yeah, it is a big It's it's not that big
a deal. I mean, you've seen a lot of teams
go on the road and get wins. I do think
you know, as far as you know, when you go
into the playoffs, you just want to be the team
that's playing well and got some momentum, and yeah, the
rest of it really doesn't matter because it's about who
gets hot and who runs who's who's who's capable of
running the table at that at that juncture, it just

(43:44):
it sets up, It sets up weird things.

Speaker 2 (43:48):
I just am not a fan of it. I know
they recede afterwards after the first round, but I just
it's difficult for unless crazy things happening if you're the
five seed and you're likely one of the best teams
in football that we're going to get the NFC this year,
whether it be Washington or whether it be UH Philadelphia
or Detroita, Green Bay, whoever finishes second in those divisions,

(44:10):
it just your your route to the super Bowl is
just that much more difficult than It has nothing to
do about the way you played. It's just more to
do with circumstance. And that's what I'm not a fan of.
Got yeah, I know this.

Speaker 3 (44:21):
It's crazy the NFC North has and we talked about it.
I think in the beginning of the year, Green Bay, Detroit, Minnesota,
right I didn't think Minnesota was going to have a
chance to be in the playoff hunt at all this year,
and so to see them in that mix, I mean
right now. Obviously they run defeated for a while and

(44:42):
everybody on the toast of the town. They had a
couple of losses there in the middle of the year.
At this point, they're still eight and two and can
still possibly win that division. So Detroit has a if
Detroit has any type of stumble and Minnesota keeps winning,
for them to be the second seed and not have
home that now that be that would be something.

Speaker 2 (45:01):
I completely left Minnesota in the conversation, not because I
forgot about them, I just don't believe in them as
that legitimate team anymore. The defenses seemed to come back
to earth a little bit. By the way, I've been
all over the map with Minnesota. I didn't think they
were for real, and then I said they absolutely were
for real, and then they ended up losing a bunch of games.
I'm not the biggest believer in Sam Darnold as other

(45:23):
people are, and seeing some of the holes that we've
seen in the defense, Like we look at Denver's defense
and it's every single week they're bringing it, and that's
not the case right now with Minnesota.

Speaker 3 (45:33):
Yeah, because that's right. You're a big proponent of the
Minnesota defense. In the beginning of the year, you said
that their success was based off and it was a
lot of it was, but you weren't giving any credit
to the offense at all at the beginning of the year.
And that's why I always kind of I kind of
ease my way into some of those discussions.

Speaker 2 (45:51):
Of irrational.

Speaker 1 (45:56):
You go.

Speaker 3 (45:57):
But yeah, because that's what happens, right, and we're gonna
talk about something later where it's it's similar to that
same thing about we want to heat praise, you want
to give that next big thing right away. We have
to we have to let the season play out a
little bit. And I know we're not in the business
of doing that because we have to make some proclamations,
as you know, as we come in for this Sunday
and everything is happening right in front of us. So

(46:20):
it's hard, but you have to always realize that it's
ebbs and flows in the NFL, man and so.

Speaker 2 (46:26):
That's that's where we are right now. One of the
teams we didn't mention the NFC North of Chicago Bears.
You're going to hear how they got their heart broken
earlier today, but we do want to tell you the Seahawks.
Jackson Smith and Jigba got them set up for a
first and goal at the three yard line. Kenneth Walker
then took it down to the one yard line and
now a second and goal and Walker is into the
end zone. So the Seahawks have taken a lead on

(46:47):
San Francisco. It's twelve to ten extra point coming up.
There's about three and a half minutes left to go
in the third quarter, and Nick Bosa remains on the
sidelines for San Francisco already playing without George Kittle on
the defensive side of things. Would be an enormous loss
and a good answer from the Seahawks, who held the
forty nine ers to a field goal after that Gino
Smith interception.

Speaker 3 (47:07):
This is a huge game, there's I mean, I obviously
thought San Franz would win this game, and probably you know,
to say they were going to win it easy. That's
just not the case. I mean, these games are always competitive.
But I mean to be down right now, if Seattle
wins his game, they're both five and five in one
game out of first place in that division.

Speaker 2 (47:25):
He's carry roads. I'm Dan Beyer. This is how the
Bears had their hearts broken by the Green Bay Packers
earlier today.

Speaker 3 (47:32):
Taylor will extend his right hand on cue from Cairo
Santos South, ends on upright snap placemaker hit is blocked
out by the Green Bay Packers.

Speaker 2 (47:42):
They got the penetration and.

Speaker 8 (47:44):
They blocked the kick, and they will survive and leave
with an eleventh consecutive win over the Bears.

Speaker 2 (47:50):
Crusher. Yeah, you just heard on the Bears radio network
took the words right out of my mouth. The eleventh
straight victory by Green Bay over Chicago. And there was
a point in this game where you said, now is
where it's turned around for Chicago. See, Shane Waldron was
the problem. Look at what this offense did and what happened.

(48:11):
Kerry Rhoades is we found out as plain as day.
It will reveal itself and I am talking about the
truth is that Matt Eberflus is the problem. Waldron was
an awful higher. Yes, but for what the Bears had.
This wasn't this wasn't a curse, This wasn't bad luck.
You know what this was. This was mismanagement at the

(48:32):
highest levels by a head coach. You set up your
offense in your team for failure because of you settled
for a forty six yard field goal in a scenario
that didn't have to be. I want to take you
through the last couple of plays of this game and
how it led to a blocked field goal. First and ten,

(48:52):
Bears have the ball at the Packers forty two yard
line with fifty three seconds left. Kayleb Williams, it's Keenan
Allen to get down to twelve or excuse me, to
the thirty yard line. On a gain of twelve, green
Bay calls timeout. So there's thirty five seconds left in
the game. First and ten Bears from the Packers thirty

(49:12):
yard line, and they have one timeout remaining. You're in
field goal range. You're not in gimme range by any means. Yes,
you're not in gimme range when you are playing on grass,
when you are playing outdoors, and when your stadium is
about a nine iron away from Lake Michigan, you are
not in gimme range at all. So what the Chicago

(49:33):
Bears do in that scenario First and ten at the
thirty yard line, They run Rashawn Johnson up the middle
to the green Bay twenty eight for two yards, and
then they let the clock tick tick tick tick tick
tick tick tick tick, and they call timeout with three
seconds left for Cairo Santos to come on and attempt

(49:53):
the forty six yard field goal. You could have done
a variety of things in that scenario. Carry oads would
come to mind in your mind. What would you do
in that scenario?

Speaker 3 (50:03):
We just talked about this last week in the block
field goal with the Chiefs, I said they settled and
they were closer than that. So for me, I'm trying
to I'm trying to get more yards and make the
kick as easy as possible for your kicker.

Speaker 2 (50:15):
Absolutely right, that's all that, That's all that you have
to do. What also happened in this scenario and the
Rashawn Johnson, by the way, the run was to set
up your hash mark as well, so you could get
on the left hash mark and kick it. So that
was that was the plan. But you could have you
could have run a push push you had you could
have gotten four more yards. You could have ran the

(50:36):
same sort of play that they ran with Johnson. You
could have done a variety of things. You could have
You could have ran that play, you could have spiked it,
you could have done anything. The fact that they let
the clock tick and settle for a forty six yard
field goal was so much more of a problem. But
you want to know what else happened on that play
carry Roads was the snap was a little high and

(51:00):
the holder had trouble. It wasn't a complete botch, but
there was a delay. There was an absolute delay. And
what you will notice with really good teams in the NFL,
they're not going to run the clock down to one
second on the clock. They may run it down to four.
This scenario, they ran it down to three. But all
they all the Bears had to do is have Caleb

(51:21):
Williams line up on second down and spike the football
and you have a timeout left. Yeah, So if you
snap the ball and the snap isn't good, you turtle
up and you call timeout for another opportunity to kick
a field goal. So if that exchange to snap the
holder or something happens, it gives you an out. And
the Chicago Bears didn't do that. And I know this

(51:44):
scenario isn't what you see a lot in the National
Football League, but it's one where you're covering all of
your bass. I agree with you. Run a couple of
more plays, run some pass plays, run some safe plays.
You gotta have something in your playbook, your passing game coordinates.
The coordinator is now your offensive cordon. He's calling the place.
He has to have something that is safe. And if
you get more yards, tough beans, you're a professional kicker.

(52:06):
If you're on the wrong hashmark, you can't make a
thirty eight yard field goal. That is your problem. That
it was such a mismanagement on so many levels. And
Shane Walder is not a good offensive coordinator. I think
we saw that as evidence today. But we also saw
that Matt eber Flus is not a good head coach
by the way that they handled this late game situation

(52:27):
settling for a forty six yard field goal. I mean,
who does that? Yeah, who does it? That's him.

Speaker 3 (52:34):
But no, like we just talked about this last week, Dan, Yes,
we know that. Obviously you're in the driver's seat. Doesn't
mean you're in control. It doesn't mean you're going to
win the game in the way that you think you are.
Teams like Kansas City, I promise you if they were
in that situation, they're trying to get as close and

(52:56):
as close as they can for the kicker, and they
have one of the best kickers in the league.

Speaker 2 (53:00):
Not settle in this game. You have to be the aggressor.

Speaker 3 (53:03):
You have to always put yourself in the most advantageous
situation that you can. You're not trying to kick a
forty I know the game is changed, and I know
kickers can kick the ball them all away now, but
gimme field goals used to be yeah, thirty yarders a
forty seven, forty eight yard is not a gimme. It
doesn't matter how good your kicker is. No, no, absolutely not.

Speaker 2 (53:25):
And again in Chicago on the shores of Lake Michigan
in mid November. Yeah, you should know better, if your
head coach should know better. And they were not prepared
for that situation. That's not Caleb Williams's fault. That is
a Matt Eberflu's fault. And so all the Bears looked
good and came back and could have had that opportunity
to steal a victory. Not the case. And it's because

(53:47):
of their head coach. He's carry rhads. I'm Dan Byer.
Let's get you caught up to date of what's happening.
Nothing has really changed Broncos continually the Falcons twenty eight
to six, four minutes to go in the third quarter
in that one, while the Sea continue to have their
thirteen ten edge on San Francisco. That came as about
forty seconds to go on the third quarter. The Niners

(54:08):
rn Seahawks territorious. Brock Perty scrambles on a second down
run gets to about the forty yard line, so the
Niners will be facing a third and four in that
scenario while the Buffalo Bills are punning it back to
the Kansas City Chiefs going three and out on their
first possession of the second half. It's the Bill sixteen
Chiefs fourteen, but Patrick Mahomes and the offense will take
over first and ten a third own twenty yard line

(54:29):
hit carry up on exit Carrie twenty five roads. You
can find me at Dan Byer on Fox and of
course it is a blue sky Sunday. Carry is not
on blue sky than I am. If you want so,
you can find me on blue Sky dan Byer b
e yeer dot b, Skype, dot social is where you
can find it. Coming up, our NFL insider Adam Kaplan
will join us. And how long does Doug Peterson have

(54:49):
as the Jaguars head coach? That question answered in so
much more next year on Fox Sports Radio. Oo same, yeah, Oh,
it's not Dannel Jones and left eyes Carry Rhodes and
Dan Byer, Hey you go, Dan. It is Fox Sports,
a red Zone Radio, a blue sky Sunday except for

(55:12):
carry Roads except for me. Broncos continuing to take it
to the Falcons starting fourth quarter tenver in Atlanta Territory,
feel like I sound like I'm a broken record. Twenty
eight to six. Bo Nick's doing his thing, twenty five
to thirty for two hundred and sixty one yards and
three touchdowns, the Niners facing a huge third down and eleven.
There's eleven minutes to go in there game with the Seahawks,
and Seattle is up thirteen to ten in this contest,

(55:35):
and the Niners get down to oh wow, twelve yard
line and Juwan Jennings battles for two more yards and
gets the first down. Wow, huge, huge conversion for San Franciscoes.
The clock continues to tick. But if you don't get
that decision time then for Kyle Shanahan, we told you
the Bills went three and out in the game of

(55:56):
the day right now, week eleven and that show down
with the Chiefs, Kansas City punted it right back to
Buffalo's and Josh Allen and the Bills now have the
ball at midfield, facing a second down at about six.
Buffalo is up sixteen to fourteen in that contest. He
is Carrie Rhodes. I'm Dan byer Adam Kaplan Inside the
Birds podcast, Pro Football Network and our Fox Sports Radio.

(56:17):
NFL Insider joins us have you joined Blue Sky yet,
Adam Kaplan.

Speaker 8 (56:21):
I have not thinking about it. I don't know yet.
I got I'm big. I'm definitely into any technology, but
when it comes to social media, I'm very selective what
I use. You know, what I'm going to do is
you know it's in front of my said to me,
hey man, so I might take your handle. I'm gonna
let go let them. I'll come up with something unique.

Speaker 2 (56:40):
But he's Kaplan NFL, so right, all right, but I
want to see.

Speaker 8 (56:44):
I want to hear and see if people using it
because the Threads thing, it was hot for forty eight
hours and I'm not saying it's dead, but I don't
know many people care.

Speaker 2 (56:52):
About it, to be honest with Yeah, I never did Threads,
but blue Sky I've been on for a while and
have you.

Speaker 8 (56:56):
Been tell us about it?

Speaker 2 (56:57):
Well, it's Twitter. It's just basically Twitter with all of
the I think political stuff without the yeah, the morbid
tweets that can pop up of car wrecks and whatnot.
The Seahawks defense has been a car wrect but playing
pretty good today. However, they just gave up a touchdown
forty nine ers getting into the end zone extra point pending,

(57:19):
but it's a sixteen to thirteen lead by the forty
nine ers. By the way, since Adam Kaplan is not
on Blue Sky loves me the opportunity to advertise mind
Dan Meyers dot Social, Let's get into it nice. The
Jaguars destroyed today? Is it just a matter of hours,
minute seconds? What is the status of Jaguars head coach
Doug Peterson.

Speaker 8 (57:39):
It's a fat of company. But the bigger question is
does Trent Balkey fom out the door? So let me
just explain kind of what has happened here. So I
want to go back to the spring. Jaguars owner Shot
Kai went on record saying two things. This is the
best roster that the team has ever had.

Speaker 2 (57:55):
Oh wow.

Speaker 8 (57:56):
Number two This is also interesting. Tie to that, Curry
is that the coaches have to do a better job
of developing their players. I was just like stunted. Oh
it's out there. Yeah, I was aware of it. I
was with the Jaguars in training camp, and you know
some of their coaches, they were well aware of what
was said, and the pressure is on them and they

(58:18):
have not delivered. It's a shame. But this is the
thing's going to turn over and fortunately, unfortunately, depending on
your point of view, I know Jaguar fans like this
that they are on a buy and typically when the
team's moribun like they are and on a buy, the
head coach doesn't return. And Doug Pitters has said, well,
I'm on a contract and you know, I'd like to
be here, but yeah, I'd be very surprised if he's

(58:41):
the head coach after the bye, and man it you
know the thing is, he comes in there three years
ago after erber Meyer got fired in season during his
only season, which was a disaster. Yeah, he's named head
coach and he turns it around. They shocked the world.
If oddsmakers gave him a four and a half to
five win total for the season, obviously they doubled that.

(59:04):
They shocked the world. And then what happened is that
losing streak to end last season. Guys, they've never recovered
like the Eagles, did you know. I'm sure you guys
know the Eagles as six out of seven last year. Yeah,
but the Jaguars lost five out of the last six
and now not at the last eleven. That's hard to do, guys.
That's futility.

Speaker 3 (59:25):
Yeah, it seems like Peterson goes into a new situation
and he does get results early, but those results seeing
the wayne really quickly. Is it his coaching style, his game,
or is it is he a good motivator. I don't
really know much about him. What's his assets and what's
his and when he goes to a team early, so
you usually get him the spark go ahead.

Speaker 8 (59:44):
It's on your point. He's very positive, he comes in cheery.
In fact, I was at the Jaguars training camp this summer,
Doug's first training camp. Yeah, and they were practicing at
a local school where Mark Brunelli used to coach, because
they were getting their practice facility. And I remember talking
to so many people in their business department saying like,

(01:00:05):
you cannot believe how important is that over Meyer's gone.
We have someone like Doug Peterson here who cares and
is thoughtful. And you just saw it. It was like,
you know, I don't know about you, Kerry, but talking
to players over the years when they had a coach
they didn't like and there was a disaster, the next
guy who was the polar opposite, you know, it does
is a one to eighty. You just talked about it.

(01:00:26):
There's a lot of positivity. No, you nailed it. They
responded greatly. But then there are some problems internally. He
made some really bad choices with his coaching staff. He
fired his entire defensive staff and he kept around Press Taylor.
Who I mean, I'm going to tell you something, guys.
This is kind of not so known, but in the
coaching world it's known. Doug Peters was told by Jeffrey

(01:00:49):
Lorie that certain changes had to be made on his
staff in twenty twenty after the twenty twenty season to
come back the big one with Press Taylor had to
be reassigned or fired. He wouldn't fire him. Doug got fired.
Doug brings Press Taylor overs over to Jacksonville. I'm totally
still calling plays, though there seems to be some mystery.
I'm told the Taylor still calling plays, and Doug has
been defying. He's backed this guy left and right, which

(01:01:11):
is his prerogative, but it's not going to be the
chief reason why he gets fired. It's because the team's bad.
But when you back coaches who are not getting the
job done, you're going to get fired. That's the way
it is.

Speaker 2 (01:01:23):
Adam Kaplan our NFL and center joining us to let
you know the Bills just punted it back to Kansas City,
so the Chiefs have the football back deep in their
own territory. In a sixteen to fourteen game, Denver kicked
the field goal. They're up thirty one to six on
the Falcons. Hit Adam up at Kaplan NFL. I know
the Shane Waldron move was made earlier this week, I Adam,
I don't know if you were connected or not. I

(01:01:44):
thought that the way that the Bears handled this field
goal at the end of the game was atrocious. You
have a timeout, You're settling for a forty six yard
field goal next to one of the five Great Lakes.
It's not an automatic given ends up being blocked. You
lose to your rivals eleven straight. How long does Eebraflues
have in Chicago?

Speaker 8 (01:02:03):
I expect him to end the season. The Bears don't
have a history of firing head coaches in season. It's
been rare. It's not unprecedent, but it's been rare. Now,
I will tell you in my report for Pro Fooble
Network last spring that their team president Kevin Warren will
most likely make the call. Warren, who left the Big
Ten as their commissioner to get involved, not only in

(01:02:25):
the business end for the Bears, where he oversees it,
but get involved football operations. He doesn't make decisions with personnel,
but he's heavily involved. I'm told. I'm also told by
someone who's working in the past, who knows Kevin very well,
he's not coming back to the NFL just to be
a team president. He wants to be involved in every
big decision. He's involved in the Caleb Williams situation. He

(01:02:48):
oversaw the big tray with the Panthers to get that
first pick overall to get Caleb Williams. And I'd be
stunned if Feberflus's back. It's just Matt's done. Eberflus has
not done a good job of his coaching staff. He's
fired two offensive coordinators. He had to fire two defensive
coaches last year in season. That means he's done a
bad job of evaluating coaches and it's gonna cost him

(01:03:09):
his job. I'd be stunned if he's back. They've collapsed.
There's no question about it. Adam.

Speaker 3 (01:03:13):
I want to talk about the AFC playoff positioning here.
I know we're a little bit early, but we're getting
we're getting over that hunt right now. So that seventh spot. Obviously,
Denver's looking good today, looking like they're going to be,
you know, in that hunt for sure. But you got
in Indianapolis. But I want to talk about Miami possibly
getting on the streak here and being able to get

(01:03:34):
that seventh spot.

Speaker 2 (01:03:34):
What do you think about that?

Speaker 8 (01:03:35):
It's funny you say that because I have to. I'm
writing something or yeah soon about this. And you know,
they should beat New England next week there at home,
but then you know, they got to go to at
Green Bay, then they got to go at Houston, got
to play the Niners, so they've got some tough games.
Denver's kind of surprised me. I mean, I'm stunned, quite frankly.

(01:03:59):
Another when the odds makers gave five wins and obviously
they're well surpassed it. I didn't see it. Bow Knicks
is playing out of control, Sean Payton's got his quarterback
playing with discipline. Their defense under Van Josepho's been phenomenal.
Save for like one or two games, he's been great.
They're in the driver's seat, to be honest with that,
Miami's thing is, remember both dreschers are out for the season.

(01:04:21):
The other offensive line's got injury problems or they're not great.
They're doing just enough to win against really inferior opponents.
I'd have to give Denver than not because listen their past.
They have a pass game, they've got a good receiver
corp very young other than Courtland Sutton. They're running the
football well, they play excellent defense. They're gonna they're gonna
be a carry. I look, this has been the year.

(01:04:43):
I have to tell you another thing. Preseason wise, there
are a lot of There are a bunch of There
are a number of teams where you go, there's no
way like Arizona six and four. You can't be serious. Okay,
here's the one that this is the biggest shaker. Has
there ever been a more quiet eight and two team
than Minnesota Vikings.

Speaker 2 (01:05:00):
No, We've just talked about it. I left him out
when I was talking about the NFC elite, but that
was unbelieved.

Speaker 8 (01:05:06):
I had him for six weeks. I had it. Sam
Dartles never played well before. That's the crazy thing.

Speaker 2 (01:05:12):
Just to let people know. The Seahawks right now, fourth
and one at midfield actually at the forty nine yard line.
They're on forty nine. They needed to get just past
the fifty basically forty nine and a half, and they
end up going for it and getting it. Kenneth Walker
a run around the left end, and so now six
minutes to go, it's a four point game. Both teams
have all three other timeouts. Nick Bosa ended up limping off.

(01:05:34):
He has not returned in this game and is according
to some of the reports on social media from reporters
at the game, it doesn't look like Nick Bosa will
be back into that contest.

Speaker 8 (01:05:43):
By the way, it's his hip. He's had this hip injury.
I'm pretty certain im my understanding it's the same hip injury,
and he's had it for a while, and that's not good. Yeah,
they're beat up, man, the Niners have. They have some
injury concerns going ford here. We'll see if they could
pull this game up.

Speaker 2 (01:05:59):
There are and I agree with that. They when they
put Christian McCaffrey in, and I know Kyle Shanahan's like, hey,
you know he's going to handle the full workload. I
didn't think that was smart. I thought that they'd agree
with you needed to integrate it, and there's no guarantee
that Christian McAffrey is going to be the same BAC
that he was, and and and considering everything around it.
So yeah, I'm not shocked that you're seeing San Francisco

(01:06:21):
in a dogfight with the Seahawks because it's a divisional game.
But yeah, I'm also not shocked because I don't think
that there is given of being an elite team like
they were last year.

Speaker 8 (01:06:29):
I agree, and don't forget the loss to Well, it's
only one game. George Kittle out with a hamstring injury.
That that is massive for not only the run game,
where he's one of the best blocking titiends in the NFL.
He's unbelievable in space carry. I don't know about you
as a safety, but I could not imagine trying it.
He's super athletic. Yeah, they don't have that. Jawan Jennings,
by the way, give him credit. And one thing you've
seen here is the Nimers are going with heavy eleven

(01:06:50):
personnel today because they don't have Kittle. Toy go with
a ton of three receivers and it's working. Pearsall's playing.
Jawan Jennings is the story. He's got a great game today.

Speaker 2 (01:06:58):
He did that that big four down there or was
it third or fourth down?

Speaker 3 (01:07:02):
Dan his third and love third long. Yeah, he fought
for the two extra yards. I want to talk about that.
Pittsburgh Baltimore.

Speaker 8 (01:07:08):
I'm sort of just watching it. Guy smoked it was.

Speaker 3 (01:07:12):
It was a fifth fight out there, and obviously eighteen
sixteen kind of proves that point.

Speaker 8 (01:07:16):
But by the way carry they played, the Steelers play
at Cleveland Thursday, I just wanted to mention that, Oh wow,
So I.

Speaker 2 (01:07:21):
Mean eight and two for Pittsburgh.

Speaker 8 (01:07:24):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:07:24):
I didn't see this either.

Speaker 3 (01:07:25):
We talk about teams that we talk about surprises Minnesota,
I didn't see that one. But Pittsburgh to be on
the top of that division coming into this season, I mean,
I'm sure people probably would have had them third or
fourth in that division. For them to be first and
to just beat Baltimore, who's been really hot, let's talk
about that a little bit.

Speaker 8 (01:07:41):
No doubt about it. When you look the Steelers and
talking to them, they got a lot. They had a
massive amount of injuries for they were down like six
starters for a while. They've gotten all but two to
their offensive linemen. Are not going to return to the
regular season. But other than that, they're very healthy. Look,
this is one of these slaber knocker games, like you
just hope you survived, and it was. I mean, Lamar

(01:08:01):
couldn't do anything. It's not his fault. He just Pittsburgh
shut him down. They couldn't do a damn thing today.
It was an incredibly physical game. I just I've watched
these Ravens Steeler games for a couple of decades. Yea,
this one, and I know, I'm sure there are more
physical ones. I just it was just you couldn't move
the football. It was really fit. Look if you like

(01:08:23):
offensive football, look away a game. It was one of those.
But they survived. Pittsburgh. Look Russell Wilson. I know they're
very happy with Russell. He's not turning it over. They're efficient,
they run the ball better this year. Their defense has
been lights out. You can't run on them, and their
secondary is great. Now, I know Baltimore did a good
job today. I'm still very worried. The worst pass defense

(01:08:45):
of the National FOOTBA League first time probably ever the
Baltimore Ravens. That does concern me going forward. They've got
to clean them up. It was better today, but overall
they've been bad in that area.

Speaker 2 (01:08:53):
Adam kaplan Our, Fox Sports Radio, NFL Insider, Okay, just
a couple of quick things, just because we're a little
tight on time.

Speaker 8 (01:08:59):
Sure.

Speaker 2 (01:09:00):
Anthony Richardson today beat on the start. I loved by
the way. I didn't mind what the Colts did. I
know they came under criticism and felt like Shane Steichen
was flip flopping. I didn't take that at all. I
actually had a different take. But my take doesn't matter.
But what about Richardson today in the win against the Jets?

Speaker 8 (01:09:14):
Love it. He was very careful with the football. Did
fumble one see? Think of it this way. If he
goes when they made the change from Richardson into flatco
and says, well, we're gonna just see what happens here.
You can't put that out there. You got to say
Joe's the start of the rest of the season, and
then obviously you could change your mind. It only matters

(01:09:35):
what happens internally. Curry knows that as a player, it's
what's your message to your players. They had to send
Richardson down when he tapped out that's you just can't
do that, and he did a good job that he
super gifted. His thing is maturity. He had to grow
up a little bit, and he said all the right things.
He said he learned a lot being benched, because kind
of like players have told me over the years that

(01:09:57):
when they've been benched, it's kind of like what else
could you do it to me? And I think that's
kind of where Richardson.

Speaker 7 (01:10:02):
Is right now.

Speaker 2 (01:10:02):
And then final question, any truth that the Broncos are
are building their new headquarters or revamping it to fit
Sean Payton's head because it's going to be enormous. As
Bonix just through his four touchdowns into the building, well you.

Speaker 8 (01:10:21):
Know, probably probably for bosivals will still the quarterback, he
would have gotten it done for them. But if you
remember it, but rightside his own office, which Sean did
not like, no, no, you could have stopped that. But
that's that boy. That's another story one day. I wish
we could tell knowing what was going on behind the
scenes with that one. That was bizarre to me. But yeah, Denver, guys,
this has been such a This is what we love
about the NFL. Yeah, there were a lot of bad teams,
but there have been five or six major surprises this season.

(01:10:44):
That very few of us all coming. All right?

Speaker 2 (01:10:47):
Well, well, Adam text me after Adam text me, I
don't have to contact it. Oh, we're going to do that.
You guys can do them on X Yeah. Right, I'm
still there. Done, all right, Adam, thanks so much. Talk
to you next week.

Speaker 8 (01:10:58):
All right.

Speaker 2 (01:10:59):
Convert on third and short of tight one in San Francisco.
That and so much more. He's carry roads. I'm Dan
Byer Life from the tirec dot Com studios. Let's go
to the news desk. Martin Wis's keeping us updated. What's
going on, Martin?

Speaker 6 (01:11:09):
Well, what's updated is that's seven eighths that Sean Payton's
got on top of his head is growing and growing
and growing.

Speaker 8 (01:11:15):
Thirty eighth six.

Speaker 6 (01:11:16):
Now the score between the Denver Broncos the Atlanta Falcons.
It's ugly for the Falcons right now. Four touchdowns for
bow Nicks, three hundred and seven through the air. Javonte
Williams with the only non passing touchdowns before he had
a fourteen yard rush in Young Wayku. The totality of
the scoring for the six and four Atlanta Falcons Denver
likely to advance to six and five after this game

(01:11:38):
is over. With seat Seahawks and the Niners. I just
saw Dan byer heads above his head. God, what's happening?
I thought they got the first down on the Gino sneak.
They said no, so it was fourth in inches and
then they just gave it to Zach Charbonay as they
up back, and I don't think he got it. They
only needed they honestly needed like three inches. It was oh,
unbelievable four minutes left.

Speaker 7 (01:12:00):
Oh yeah, he's short, Yeah he's sure. That's tough. That's
gonna be a fourth down turnover on down?

Speaker 2 (01:12:05):
Why not just sneaking again? I don't know, That's what
I wondered as well.

Speaker 6 (01:12:08):
Yeah, Dan, with his hands to the sky, asked why, God,
Why why? San Francisco leads Seattle seventeen to fourteen. I'm sorry,
seventeen to thirteen with four minutes left in the fourth quarter.
Rock Purty with air rushing touchdown and Juwan Jennings with
the receiving touchdown. Kenneth Walker has scored a touchdown for Seattle.
A lot of fueld goals in that matchup. The game

(01:12:29):
of the day the Chiefs and the Bills. Right now,
Buffalo with a sixteen to fourteen lead, two twenty five
left in the third quarter, James Cook with two rushing touchdowns,
Xavior Worthy, Noah Gray with two receiving touchdowns, Tyler Bash
with a fueld goal to make the difference there again,
Buffalo with the ball driving was like Shakir almost to midfield.
Right there at the forty eight large yard line will

(01:12:51):
be looks like third down there for Buffalo.

Speaker 7 (01:12:54):
In the NBA, that's an NBA action going on.

Speaker 6 (01:12:57):
The Heat and the Pacers right now, Indiana with eight
twelve thirteen point leads, seven eight to sixty five, three
h three left in the third and the first quarter
between the Hornets and the Cavaliers, Cleveland with a thirty
eight to twenty eight lead, eleven minutes left in the
second quarter for the Pistons and the Wizards thirty to
twenty Detroit, eleven minutes left in the first half between
the Nuggets and the Grizzlies, Memphis with a five point

(01:13:19):
lead thirty to twenty five, and with eleven thirty three
left in the second quarter, the Hawks ley the Trailbazer
thirty three to twenty four in the NHL one game
in action right now heading towards the second intermission between
the Blues and a Hurricanes Carolina with a three to
one lead.

Speaker 7 (01:13:34):
Dan carry back to you, thank you very much.

Speaker 2 (01:13:37):
Martin, And we have a Michael Pennix junior sitting in Denver,
the Falcons going with their first round pick to replace
Kirk Cousins, doing so in a thirty two point deficit.
Pennix just hit Ray Ray McLeod for about a fifteen
yard gain or so to get up near midfield. So
we're seeing the lefty from Washington into the contest for
Atlanta and throwing some nice dimes and Carrie Rhodes has

(01:13:58):
got his arms in the air. Still this is he's out.
It doesn't doesn't necessarily mean in there there's the Falcons
wad receiver that's going to need to be attended to.
But again, it just goes back to the actual reason
on why did you shine Kirk Cousins. They signed Kirk
Cousins so early that the NFL looked into tampering and
then decided on Penix that that's the whole discussion. That's

(01:14:21):
not whether Michael Penis can play or not play. It's
just of why did they end up taking the route
that they did and that's always good to be the
question pendicks now and then this thirty two point game. Yeah,
so well he can play, you can play care for
there's no doubt about that.

Speaker 3 (01:14:39):
Yeah, no, no, I mean it's it's not about any
any controversy anything right now at this point in the season.
I mean, obviously Cousins has been fine. This game isn't
an indictment on him. He's been he's been okay. But
at this point, put him in, see what he can
do in some live action and see what you have.
But we know, we know what he has, we know
what he can do, but you know, put him out

(01:15:00):
and get some game time, some game action.

Speaker 2 (01:15:02):
Essentially, the Seahawks on that fourth and short stop by
their own offensive lineman, who's ex Charboney ran into and
so now Siata was all three other timeouts, but they're
gonna have to get a couple of stops here to
get the football back in a four point game. He
is carry Roads. I'm dan byer some more look at
fantasy numbers and the conclusion in Santa Clara next year
on Fox Sports Radio, forty nine ers are gonna have
a fourth down decision. He's carry Rhoades and I'm Dan Bayer.

(01:15:25):
It's one of three games two within the balance, but
there's some separation. At Buffalo. Josh Allen is connected on
a touchdown pass to Curtis Samuel. Extra point is good
and the Bills lead the Chiefs twenty three to fourteen.
Early in the fourth quarter in that contest, we told
you the forty nine Ers facing a fourth down decision.

(01:15:45):
They've got it in Seattle territory. It's fourth and six.
The Seahawks just stop Juwan Jennings for about a gain
of five on a third and eleven. But San Francisco,
up four now can choose to pin the Seahawks deep,
but there's still two plus minutes left to go in
the game doing so without Nick Bosa, or they could
choose to go for it here on this fourth down
and Seattle still would have to drive about fifty five

(01:16:07):
yards to score. Time isn't an issue because there's two
forty five left to go. But it looks like the
forty nine Ers are punting as Brock Purty is on
the sidelines going over, So handing it over to the
forty nine ers defense is Kyle Shanahan.

Speaker 3 (01:16:20):
Yeah, you got a punt it here? It's I mean,
you're at the forty. It is that little friends area
that teams are probably analytically going for.

Speaker 2 (01:16:28):
But yes, but the ball here and the Broncos lead
the Falcons thirty eight to six, four minutes to go
in Denver. Let's get a look at some fantasy numbers
a lot from the Tireck dot Com studios with bol Benson.
All Right, any MVP candidacies we're pushing forward in this
one or as are these are? These are misses? Oh yeah,
that's right. So maybe some that we will do, you know, yes, so, but.

Speaker 10 (01:16:51):
There is an VP candidate in these misses here?

Speaker 2 (01:16:53):
Oh, here we go. Yeah, we got both.

Speaker 10 (01:16:54):
I'm assuming Carry's MVP Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 8 (01:16:57):
I knew that was next.

Speaker 10 (01:16:59):
He showed up here just two hundred seven yards one
touchdown in an interception. Not not what you expect from
Lamar and his MVP season here flip side, Russell Wilson
also not a great day after his hot start with
the Steelers, just two hundred five yards in an interception today.
Running back wives Ramanjy Street Stevenson twenty carries for just
seventy three yards today and Alvin Kamara sixteen carries for

(01:17:22):
just sixty seven yards, no scores for either of them.
Wide receivers Michael Pittman he had five catches to day
for forty six yards, no touchdowns, and DeVante Adams of
the Jets six catches today for just seventy two yards
and no touchdowns for him.

Speaker 2 (01:17:36):
It's funky because you look at the Saints game, You're like, oh,
Kamara must have gone off, aren't it was Taysom Maill.
Look at the Jets game and at it was Brice Hall. Yeah,
so yeah, and those opportunities just not there. Tell you what,
if you survive today and you have Lamar Jackson on
your team, you're likely to reap the benefits down the
line because you're always going to answer that big time
for sure from a game like this. Bo Benson there

(01:17:58):
with our fantasy number. Thanks for Bo for bringing the
heat there. Bo's on Blue Sky. Chrispherfetz on Blue Sky.
I'm on Blue Sky, Martin's on Blue Sky. Mary Mack
are you on Blue joining team Kerry? I I know
I'm too young to be just jumping from social media
to social media. Yeah, yeah, social media is kind of

(01:18:19):
the old person gave no success. Yeah, it's not a
young person thing at all, not at all all. Right,
here's here's the scenario regarding Blue Sky. You can follow
me Dan Byer dot be Sky dot Social. I've put
a picture up and it's a topic of conversation that
involves the San Francisco forty nine ers that you're not
gonna want to miss. It's gonna come up after seven
o'clock eastern Tom here on Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.

(01:18:41):
After seven o'clock eastern. We may only have one game
going on, and it's that showdown between the Chiefs and Bills.
Kansas City does have the football back and Kareem Hunt
has run it into Buffalo territory. Still eleven and a
half minutes to go, so Kansas City will have it
first intended about the forty two yard line, while these
Seahawks right now have got the football backed up in
their own end at a four point game. Seattle, again

(01:19:04):
with their with their one timeout, has just completed a
pass the DK Metcalf. But now the question is to
DK Metcalf get both feet inbounds and he may not
have gotten it. It looked like it was a pretty
easy catch. If that was the case, ah this is
going to be close. It was rule the catch on
the field. The question is that he was his left

(01:19:28):
foot down as Metcalf made the reception in this game
in San Francisco. If that's the case, the Seahawks would
be out to the thirty one yard line of San Francisco.
But if not, they're going to be facing a second
and long inside or a second and ten inside their
own twenty. So that's where we stand. Niners up on
the Seahawks seventeen thirteen, Broncos trying to take out the

(01:19:51):
Falcons thirty eight to six, and the Chiefs driving against Buffalo.
But right now Kansas City faces a nine point deficit
as they look to stay unbeaten in the NFL. Coming
up next line from the tierrack dot com studios, we'll
give you that Niners mystery. Plus could Bo Nicks actually
be the rookie of the Year in the NFL. We'll
talk about it next on Fox. As you heard, the

(01:20:11):
Chiefs got closer and now the Seahawks are driving. It's
what we're looking at here in week eleven of the
National Football League season, as we are broadcasting live from
the tierrac dot com studios. Tierraq dot Com will help
you get there, an unmatched selection, fast free shipping, free
road as a protection or over ten thousand recommended installers
tirec dot com the way tire buying should be. It's

(01:20:32):
a two point game in Buffalo with the Bills up
on the Chiefs, So the Seahawks, let's get right to
that one and carry right now in forty nine ers territory.
It's a four point game. That Gino Smith was just
sacked on first down, So it's second and thirteen for Seattle.
Now under a minute to go, and Gino's actually going
to use his legs and run for a first down.
And so Seattle now down to about the twenty one

(01:20:53):
yard line. They have one time out left. They may
want to hurry it up. There's a stoppage of the play.
I don't know. I don't think there was a penalty
EI there was no flag graphic, but possibly these Seahawks
are set up first and ten at the twenty one
yard line, but they're down four in this game with
San Francisco and Gino Smith doing it with his legs

(01:21:15):
in this scenario here, if Seattle has used their final timeout,
that's likely why they play stopped. They've showed the replay
about three times and there is no word on why
the play. The Seahawks still have a timeout on their
ledger and now they've taken it off, so it was
there we go. So we found out that the Seahawks

(01:21:35):
have taken that timeout. It's seventeen to thirteen first and
ten and right now for Seattle Jackson Smith and Jigbo
continues to be the go to guy for the Seahawks.
He has nine catches today on ten targets. DK Metcalf
has seven for seventy yards. But it looks like it
could be one of those two you've taken. You still

(01:21:56):
can run the ball here first intend of the twenty
one yard line without anything time outs because there's thirty
nine seconds. But you'd like to get out of bounds
if you can. Yeah, right now they're the twenty I mean, yeah,
you want to catch the ball. Oh no, he's not
going to get out of bound, so now he got
to hurry up. But yes, you would like to get
out of bounds. But everything's in play. You're not a
long distance away. Get up, get up, run and play

(01:22:17):
or spike it. But the luck they're going to run
to play, so uh yeah, everything is in play. They're
wasting a lot of time getting set up here. Yeah,
the clock is ticking, maybe it's down to eighteen seconds,
and they finally snapped it on a second two you
better get a bounds and the Geno runs the end zone.

Speaker 1 (01:22:32):
And he is gone.

Speaker 2 (01:22:35):
Touchdown.

Speaker 1 (01:22:37):
One of the.

Speaker 11 (01:22:39):
Unbiased reporting here on Fox Sports Radio. We keep it
between the lines fifty to fifty, but the Seahawks are
in the end zone for a touchdown. Geno Smith the scamper,
and now the extra points coming up for the Seahawks
trying to make it a three point game.

Speaker 3 (01:22:58):
Yeah, Dan almost lost it, but I expected that this
is this is Dan's team, ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 2 (01:23:05):
And uh, unbiased reporting here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (01:23:09):
Oh man, that was a big play. I mean Gino
uses legs to get down there to get the first
down in the first place, and on the second down
where I thought they were wasting a lot of time
in between that next play, he makes another big play
with his legs to get in the end zone.

Speaker 2 (01:23:22):
That's a big play for the Shawks, and Gino Smith
is given the forty nine er fans this steph kurry
to sleep night. There's only there's still twelve seconds left,
a lot of time, and if you've seen the Seahawks
defense at times, it wouldn't be unthinkable to think the
forty nine ers you do have one time out, could
get into field goal range and then end up possibly
kicking a field goal. Or we've seen hal Mary's.

Speaker 3 (01:23:43):
Is this a hurt fan reporting right now from prior
history of things going wrong?

Speaker 2 (01:23:49):
Or is this unbiased again? Dan unbiased fifty to fifty
here on Fox Sports Radio. The funny thing is is
there was a time and place where the Seahawks had
the forty nine ers number and the forty nine ers
kind of had the Rams number, and the Rams had
the Seahawks number, and you would go around in the circle. Well,

(01:24:09):
as of late, the Seahawks have had the numbers of nobody.
Gino Smith has never beaten San Francisco. They just put
the graphic up. He is zero to five against the
forty nine ers. So for him to do that in
this sort of setting would mean a lot to him.
But again, twelve seconds left. You were talking about the
clock running at that point, and it's so when it

(01:24:31):
was second down and two, you know that scenario is
tricky because the clock is running and if you're going
to get a time, if you're going to get a
first down in that scenario, it may come at the
cost of the clock. So then you'll only have two plays. Well,
then what does the first down matter? Gino Smith erased
all of the possibilities that you've gotten with the scamper.

(01:24:51):
But when he took off, he had to know he
had to score because otherwise they would have then probably
only had one more shot, or he would have had
to just sprint to the sidelines to out of bounds.
But again they would have twelve seconds left to go.
But if he ends up sliding at any point in bounds,
they would only have one play to possibly win the game. Yeah,
it took off. I was like, get out of bounds,
get out of bounds, and he was like, I'm gonna score.

(01:25:13):
I'm gonna score. He didn't eet it. He didn't even
seem rushed. He was crossing the goal line. So how
many do you rush? Here? Do you rush three? What
do you do? If you were on Seattle and the
forty nine ers tried to do a little lateral play,
they have a timeout, but which is surprising why I
thought that they I thought they would throw one maybe
towards the middle of the field around the fifty yard line,

(01:25:36):
because they got it first intent at their own thirty
following the touchback on the kickoff. But they ran a
short little underneath ro out looking for a lateral and
now they've used their final timeout.

Speaker 3 (01:25:45):
Yeah, no, they should have taken a try to get
a chunk play there. They had had a time out
and try to get closer and didn't throw a hail Mary,
And I mean, why run the playground stuff right now?
At this point they had a time out, So yeah,
I didn't I didn't like that.

Speaker 2 (01:25:58):
Call it all San Francisco now seven seconds left, and
I don't want to say anything because I've made mistakes
before as well, see Jaden Daniels and the Commanders and
the Chicago Bears. But the stat that Fox puts up,
and I think it's very timely and one that you
talked about. Seahawks scored two touchdowns with Nick Bosa out

(01:26:19):
of the game, and that was a huge obvious loss
for San Francisco. Came in and now the forty nine
ers tried the laterals. There are flags on the play,
just making sure if the we'll see if the flag
was against Seattle defensively, doesn't look like it looks like
Kyle Shanahan's walking off the field penalty was on the
forty nine ers. That's it. That's game win, Dan, big win,

(01:26:41):
I mean big win for the Seahawk. It is fifty
to fifty yere on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (01:26:45):
Here's this.

Speaker 2 (01:26:47):
But this is the NFL. Like, this is what makes
the Packers and Bears things so crazy is that green
Bay would have their number for eleven straight games when
green Bay went through their own you know, tumultuous times,
and you just you don't see this a lot of
one team having the absolute dominance. But the Bears, you know,

(01:27:09):
I haven't beat in green Bay and five plus seasons.
Now Seattle ends up snapping that slide to San Francisco,
which I thought at the beginning of the year, and
I told people around here, I think the Seahawks can
get a game against San Francisco. They forty nine Ers
ran it at you know, kind of adam in the
in the first game. This ye had some guys back.
But honestly, Seattle was coming off of a week where

(01:27:31):
they were they had a buy and that was really
the only thing that was going for them. Yeah, San
Francisco came back and had that late win against Tampa
that they survived. But you know, kudos to the Seahawks
and the offense for making this happen and Gino Smith
getting the last laugh on the run.

Speaker 3 (01:27:47):
Man, that's a big win. That's a big win. That's
a confusing win for the NFC Web. I mean there's
three teams sitting there at five and five, and you
had my Arizona Cardinals.

Speaker 2 (01:27:56):
That's yeah. Before the team that I believed in, you did.
I did so people said nobody believed in Arizona.

Speaker 8 (01:28:02):
I did.

Speaker 2 (01:28:02):
I didn't put them in the playoffs, but I just
again like I felt that they were. They were a
good team. And now we'll see uh and Martin, you
Mark like the Arizona playoffs. Arizona Cardinals in the playoffs
as well.

Speaker 7 (01:28:15):
It's on my It's on this so much.

Speaker 2 (01:28:17):
That's why we have the sheet here at Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 7 (01:28:20):
Wowza for the NFC West. I like it the year
strong last year, Kyler was heard for the first half
of the season.

Speaker 6 (01:28:28):
He looked good and uh really at the Senior Bowl,
I had some drinks with some of the coaches, that's
half and they were like, dude, we're gonna rock this year.

Speaker 7 (01:28:35):
And I was like, all right, got it.

Speaker 2 (01:28:38):
Sure, Sure it wasn't the spirits talking, but they've got
And honestly, Cardinal fans are watching this game and it
probably paining them to cheer for Seattle, but you have
to cheer for Seattle. Yeah, I mean, because San Francisco
is still San Francisco. But I just don't think they're
the same San Francisco. Not the same San Francisco. Not
right now.

Speaker 1 (01:28:57):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:28:58):
And so the Seahawks split with the forty nine ers
this year. That leaves us with one game in this
late window in Buffalo and Kansas City are in a
twenty three to twenty one game with four minutes to go.
In the Bills after that Chief's touchdown have been having
a meticulous drive down the field that's got them to
about the thirty five yard line, and now Dawson Knox
has caught a pass down to about the thirty yard line.

(01:29:20):
This is what Kansas City does here. Yes, Buffalo is
doing what Kansas City is doing, and that's just taking
time off the clock and moving the chains, assaulting the
game away. That's what they call it. That two point
spread was what you said this contest was. I know
it was two and a half I think earlier in
the week or somewhere around there. Don't quote me on that.
I'm not the I'm not your Vegas insider by any means.

(01:29:42):
But the stats that they have up as the last
four games these two teams have played, it has been
determined by one possession or less. Yep. This is again,
this is the Cowboys forty nine ers of the nineties.
This is the Patriots Cults of the two thighs. This
is the matchup, not division rivals, so it's different, But

(01:30:05):
this is your two teams in the conference. I don't
think I don't think that San Francisco Detroit. I don't
think San Francisco Philadelphia. I don't think Dallas and Niners
still has that sort of pizazz. But Dallas just isn't
bringing the heat. I think Packers forty nine ers maybe
had this a little bit. But this game right here
is your matchup. And it's also carry because it's so

(01:30:26):
one sided in success. Yeah, and it's not of winning
this game. It's guess what. The Chiefs in the end
will win super Bowls, and in the end, Buffalo is
going to be disappointed. And that's what I'm talking about.
Not that we know Buffalo has gone to Kansas City
and won a game before. We've seen that happen. We've
seen them win a couple of times there. But when

(01:30:47):
it's mattered the most, the Chiefs have come out on top.
And then when it's mattered the most, the Chiefs have
risen to the top and won Super Bowls. Well, the
Bills somehow find a way to have heartbreak.

Speaker 3 (01:30:55):
Yeah, you brought up that Packer forty nine ers and
like the mid nineties, early two thousands, the reason that
the lore was there with those games was because of
the coaching staffs, right, and the ties between both the
coaching staffs, so that made it even more appealing. And
with this one with the Chiefs and the Bills, you
hit it on the head. I mean the Chiefs have

(01:31:17):
and we talk about this a lot, we talk about rivalries,
and we talk about games that really matter. Robberies' other
team has to win some as well, yes, and I
mean like win championships, and the the Bills haven't done
that yet.

Speaker 2 (01:31:29):
This take any team in the AFC and put them
up against Kansas City, or put them up against Buffalo
and tell me it's a better matchup than this, And
I don't think you can. If you put the Ravens
in an AFC Championship rematch and the game that started
off this NFL season in exciting fashion and Isaiah Likely's
toe is the difference between a win and loss. I

(01:31:50):
don't think it has the same feeling as Buffalo Kansas City.

Speaker 3 (01:31:53):
Well, the one that would have been Riabal to that
would be if the Bengals were good this year, because
they have some really good games as well.

Speaker 2 (01:32:01):
Sure, there's something about Buffalo's losing though, there's something about
the four super Bowl streak. There's something about them just
getting back. And that's the funny thing is there's no
guarantee that Buffalo will get back to a super Bowl
in the near future. But even if they do, there
is still that cloud of well, they've never won a
super Bowl before and they had the four in a row,

(01:32:22):
and so that you know that all carries a lot
of weight with things all right down to three minutes
to go, He's carry roads. I'm Dan Beyer Bills on
top of the Chiefs twenty three to twenty one. We'll
bring into the conclusion of this game and how it
ends plus fast times with carry Rhoads and what's up
with this forty nine ers logo that I put up

(01:32:43):
Bumblo Scot that's next year at Fox Sports Radio. Fakes
the throw, Alan gonna step up in the pocket. Now
he's gonna take it.

Speaker 1 (01:32:53):
It run and he's got the first down.

Speaker 12 (01:32:54):
Anymore ten five and muscles his way into the episode
for an unbelievable twenty six yard touchdown run.

Speaker 10 (01:33:05):
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 2 (01:33:07):
Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. He's Kerry Roads and I'm
Dan Beyer and that is WGR five point fifty and
the Bills radio network with the call. The extra point
was good, and it was that touchdown run by Josh
Allen that gave Buffalo some breathing room. They lead the
Chiefs thirty to twenty one. I honestly thought the Bills

(01:33:28):
would just try to work the clock, run out the clock.
Kansas City did have a couple of timeouts. We were
nearing the two minute warning when we ended up taking
the timeout. But the Bills end up running the play
with Josh Allen and he just kept going and going
and going, and now the Chiefs are gonna have to
make up a nine point deficit in two minutes. As
they're coming back from the two minute warning, they have
two timeouts, but again, down nine is the bigger problem

(01:33:50):
for Kansas City.

Speaker 3 (01:33:51):
What did we just talk about earlier, Really good teams
and great teams they go for the win. Run o'clock
out here. They're not trying to settle, They're trying to
put the nail in the coffin. And that's what Buffalo
did on that drive. It was a meticulous drive, time consuming,
balanced and then Josh Allen breaks the big run for

(01:34:14):
the touchdown to get put them up nine, and now
Kansas City's in trouble.

Speaker 2 (01:34:17):
It is obviously, I'll just say this, I think that
in the perfect world, Buffalo would love to not see
Patrick Mahomes get the football again. And so it worked
out great for Josh Allen to keep rumbling it and honestly,
once he was gone, he had to go and you

(01:34:39):
had to go and score, and he did and then
he ended up rolling into the end zone. But the
point is is, because of the time that was remaining
there on the other side of the two minute warning,
if he was tackled at any point inside the ten
yard line, you've now got a goal to goal situation
and you're only up two, and in that scenario is
the twenty six yard touchdown run. But in that scenario,

(01:35:00):
Buffalo has to score a touchdown because the last thing
you'd want to do is give Patrick Mahomes the football
back with it being a one score game exactly. Yeah,
so it does give them breathing room. But I also
believe that if if Buffalo had their you know, their
drugs as well, they would have gotten the four yards
they needed instead of the three to get the first down.
They would have used more clock than would have gotten

(01:35:20):
another first down. But yeah, to your point, and now
it's a fourth and three for Kansas City, and kudos
to the Buffalo Bill's defense if they can step up
in this final minute twenty two to lock down Kansas City,
especially on what appears to be a fourth and three
coming up for the Chiefs near midfield in Buffalo.

Speaker 3 (01:35:38):
Yeah, the crazy thing, the crazy thing about it is
the emotion that is being shown on the sidelines. You see, Buffalo,
we talked about it. Who's who really needs this game
the most and who does it matter to the most?
I mean, you see these guys on the sideline hyping
up the crowd and being really excited and enthused about
this game. So it's a big it's a it's a
I'm not going to say it's a win yet because

(01:35:59):
I know with the teams playing, it's always something happening.

Speaker 2 (01:36:02):
But you know, right now it is looking really good
at a Buffalo. Do you remember when we talked about
this this schedule, There is a money part of the
schedule for the NFL, and it's around this time. It's
about week ten, week eleven, it goes to about week
fourteen or fifteen. They give you these matchups that you
just love to see and salivate over. Bill's Chiefs is

(01:36:25):
one of those. It's why it's the standalone game on CBS.
There wasn't another four to twenty five Eastern time kick
the other two late games because there were only two
other late games where four or five Eastern time starts,
and so that's what the NFL loves to have. The Chiefs,
by the way, had fourth and three at a Patrick
Mahomes scramble getting into Buffalo territory. However, it's being called

(01:36:47):
back for a holding call I believe on Juwan Taylor,
and that is the case. So the Chiefs tackle, costing
the Chiefs a first down. I don't know if Ed
Oliver would have gotten the Patrick Mahomes on that scramble,
but it was a hold. And so the Chiefs now
will face a fourth and thirteen trying to convert. Here

(01:37:09):
Kansas City has just one time out. Buffalo up nine.
A fourth and thirteen will tell you how this fares,
and maybe Buffalo will get the last laugh. Not only
would they knock Kansas City off from the ranks of
the unbeaten, it would end that streak of this being
a one score game series.

Speaker 3 (01:37:24):
That's right, that's right. You see all the emotion's funny.
Is there a nine point playing football?

Speaker 2 (01:37:30):
You know, maybe the NFL put one in by the
time the games, you know, as we joke on the
refs in the league always loving the Chiefs, maybe there'll
be a change and Patrick Mahomes is picked off. He
did have a wide open Travis Kelcey in the middle
of the field, however, defender closed on it pretty quickly.
And this one looks to be over in Buffalo as
the Bills are going to knock the Chiefs from the

(01:37:53):
ranks of the unbeaten, and Travis Kelcey just I think
mocked the Bills fans by giving a small little clap
like yeah, kudos, kudos, but this is a regular season game.
Something to put a feather in your cap or just
to put a little make that little mark and remember it.
Tecond Kansas City turnover of the game and ends this

(01:38:14):
one as the Bills are gonna top Kansas City.

Speaker 3 (01:38:16):
Makes it interesting now, makes it interesting for that top
spot right now? You know, Kansas City's ninety one, Buffalo's
nine to two, and and I think Kansas City is
gonna lose a couple more games here, I don't. I
really think. You know, we talk about good fortune and
the good stuff that they've had in these close games.
At some point it had to come back and bite you.
And right now, you know, I think it's I think

(01:38:37):
things are a little bit tighter in that AFC for
that top spot.

Speaker 2 (01:38:40):
And the winner of the award for NFL Insider to
first reference the seventy two Dolphins unbeaten season, still remaining
intact and not having any company with them at the top.
Adam Schefter of ESPN is the winner. He's the first
one all right them out and say the Dolphins they
remain the loan unbeaten. Listen, there's not going to be

(01:39:02):
an unbeaten with a seventeen game schedule. We saw how
difficult it was with a sixteen and oh schedule, and
then to go on in New England losing to the Giants.
It's it's not going to happen. Sorry, it's just not
going to I actually give the Chiefs credit for making
it to nine and zero at those points, so do I.

Speaker 3 (01:39:19):
I mean, and I and I played against that that
O seven Patriot team. They were the best team in
football and it wasn't even close. And then you have
one bad day in the super Bowl. It was, you know,
ins the historic season.

Speaker 2 (01:39:33):
Wrong day to pick a bad day, all right. I
just I talked about the scheduling, the scheduling of the NFL.
Then we're gonna get Martin Weison here to give us
all the scores and stats and whatnot from what was
a crazy day. Hold on, just second, Mary, We'll just
call time out here. I've got one left just in
the show. I've got one time out remaining that just
you sit there. We'll get to Martin in two minutes.

(01:39:53):
But I just I want to give you I want
to give you a schedule, rundown. All right, a schedule rundown.
Would you rather face the Panthers, Raiders, Chargers, and Browns
over your next four weeks or would you rather face
the Niners, Rams, Lions and Patriots The first one, yes, yeah,

(01:40:13):
that's what Kansas City has. That's what the that's what
they have Kansas City. After that is the Texans, Steelers
and Broncos. There could be three tough games. Yeah, while
the Bills end up with the Patriots, Jets, and then
the Patriots again. It's crazy that Buffalo is not number one,
is not played the Patriots yet, But we see this
in the funky NFL scheduling. For some reason, their first

(01:40:35):
matchup is going to be Week sixteen. That makes no sense.
And Buffalo has not had their buy yet, so they'll
have their buy coming up next week, and then they'll
get San Francisco after that. But they got within there now,
within one game of the lost column of Kansas City,
and now we'll hold that tiebreaker.

Speaker 3 (01:40:49):
But it is a tough slate for Buffalo to hand on.
That's pretty crazy. That's they played eleven games without a buy.

Speaker 2 (01:40:55):
Yeah, Laurening Week fourteen, there's six teams on buy Oh
my yeah, about half of them are already eliminated from
playoff contention. So imagine that. Imagine like you've gone through
this grind of like hurting. Yeah, you're gonna get a
week off, then you gotta go back to work for
another month, and then your season's finally over. Yeah, that's
that's not good. Rapid Radios are the official communication device

Speaker 6 (01:41:35):
WHOA got everything but Sunday Night football and Monday Night
football in the books.

Speaker 7 (01:41:39):
Let's go ahead and start with the game of the day.

Speaker 6 (01:41:41):
Buffalo finally gets off the snide as you said, Travis
Kelsey with a little Bronx cheer, little golfers clap.

Speaker 2 (01:41:46):
As he left the field.

Speaker 6 (01:41:47):
Buffalo Bill's victorious nine point margin of victory thirty to
twenty one. Josh Allen with one touchut That's exactly what
Travis Kelsey was doing right there, mocking Josh Allen with
one touchdow through the air, one interception, but he did
have the twenty six yard touchdown run to go ahead
and make this a two possession game. It was twenty

(01:42:08):
three to twenty one before Josh Allen ran in there
with two seventeen left in the fourth quarter to go
ahead and give Buffalo the winning margin.

Speaker 7 (01:42:15):
Seattle and San Francisco.

Speaker 6 (01:42:17):
The Seahawks improved to five and five, and so San
Francisco falls to five and five as Seattle wins twenty
to seventeen. Again another rushing touchdown by a quarterback as
Geno Smith walked it into the end zone to go
ahead and give Seattle the lead that it would eventually take.

Speaker 7 (01:42:33):
No drama in Denver as the Broncos.

Speaker 6 (01:42:35):
Beat Atlanta thirty eight to six, bon Nicks with four
touchdown passes three h seven through the air. Earlier today
we saw the Jaguars lose tremendously to the Lions. Couldn't
have been much more lopsided than fifty two to six,
which was a score of gami if you keep a
score at home. Jared Goll four touchdowns a perfect passer
rating on one hundred and fifty eight point three. Almon
Ross Saint Brown had eleven catches and two touchdowns. Packers

(01:42:58):
block a field goal as timing Spiders against the Bears
to go ahead and continue their domination of Chicago. Jordan
Love thirteen for seventeen, one touchdown, one interception. Kayleb Williams
two thirty one through the air, had a few scrambles
as well, but again blockfield goal gives the Green Bay
the twenty to nineteen win. Vikings beat the Titans twenty
three to thirteen. Sam Donald had two touchdowns, Justin Jefferson

(01:43:20):
eighty one yards through the air. No touchdowns for him,
He's been out of the end zone for the last
few weeks. Will Levis with a ninety eight yard touchdown
pass to Westbrook a keenan. Steelers hold on to beat
the Ravens eighteen to sixteen on a failed two point
conversion by Baltimore. Lamar Jackson two hundred and seven yards
through the air, one touchdown, one interception, Russell Wilson two
point five and a pick for him as well. George

(01:43:40):
Pickens eight catches eighty nine yards, Dereck Henry a touchdown
on the ground.

Speaker 7 (01:43:44):
He scored a touchdown every week he's played so far.

Speaker 6 (01:43:47):
Colt and the Jets Indianapolis victorious off of an Anthony
Richardson rushing touchdown with forty six seconds left on the
clock that gave Indianapolis a twenty eight to twenty seven
League New York unable to do anything on the last drive.
Aaron Rodgers two touchdown passes only one hundred and forty
eight yards passing. Dolphin Doup scored the Raiders thirty four
to nineteen. Tua had three touchdowns Devon Hn.

Speaker 8 (01:44:07):
One on the ground.

Speaker 6 (01:44:08):
Brock Bauer set a record here most catches by a
rookie tight end in single game history in the NFL,
thirteen catches, one hundred and twenty four yards and a touchdown.
Rams beat the Patriots twenty eight to twenty two. Matthew
Stafford four through the air, Pho can Nakua caught one
of them. Drake May had two touchdowns two hundred eighty
two yards passing and one interception. Saints beat the Browns

(01:44:31):
thirty five to fourteen. Taysom Hill had a day, three
touchdowns on the ground. He also had a fumble an interception,
but they said, you know what, keep feeding the hot hand.
Derek Carr two forty eight through the air, two touchdowns
again thirty five fourteen. The margin there, see and inside.
The NBA will be live this season on ESBN. It
was supposed to be the last season, but they have

(01:44:51):
agreed part of a settlement between Warner Brothers, Discovery and TNT,
the show will now be on ESBN. An update to
that report is now it will be the same guy
as you used to Kenny, Shaq, Charles and Chuck will
be there.

Speaker 7 (01:45:05):
It'll just be on ESPN.

Speaker 2 (01:45:06):
That's gonna start next year, right with the new TV
deal is that it's gonna start next year.

Speaker 6 (01:45:11):
But it's still the you know sure, yeah, it'll livele
going forward. And speaking of the NBA, got some games
and action here. Cleveland leads Cleveland's Charlotte eighty two to
seventy six, nine minutes left in the third quarter. Six
minutes left in the third quarter for the Pistons and
the Wizards and Pistons nineteen point lead, eighty three to
sixty four, six thirty left in the third between the
Grizzlies and the Nuggets, Memphis with a seventy to fifty

(01:45:33):
one lead. Seven minutes in the third quarter. Between the
Hawks and Trailblazers, Atlanta leads Portland to seventy six to
sixty six nets over Nicks twenty to four to twenty with.

Speaker 7 (01:45:44):
Two thirty left in the first quarter.

Speaker 6 (01:45:45):
At the end of the first quarter tie game between
the Rockets and the Bulls twenty six apiece Mavericks with
a twenty nine to twenty eight lead over the Thunder
two thirty left in the first quarter. There in the
third period, the Carolina Hurricanes wrapping up the third period
here four to one over the Blues thirty seconds left
in the matchup ap Kyle's Top twenty five no changes.

(01:46:06):
Oregon remains undefeated in the top the number the number
one spot Ohio State, Texas roundbout two and three penn
S Dayton, Indiana, Indiana also undefeated. They are the four
and five teams LSU unranked for the first time in
two years, Dan and carry back to you guys.

Speaker 2 (01:46:21):
So what happens and you lose to l Obama and
you get ridded and you lose on the road to Florida.
The Tigers are falling, all right, He's Carry Roads. I'm
Dan Bayer. We are alive. From the tirereq dot com
studios quick story. You may have seen the picture that
I posted on Blue Sky. Martin's there, Bo's there, I'm there.
Carrie's not neither, as Mary mac dan Bayer bsky dot Social.

(01:46:41):
We're getting a lot of great response. Took a picture
of our set today. Each week Carry brings in a
jersey and it's so bad for the Jets that the
Cardinals turning even play this week and he brought it
in his Cardinals jersey instead of Jets jersey today. So
the Carry Roads Cardinals jersey, the black jersey, the really
really sharp is being displayed. But I've also displayed this
forty nine Ers logo that may look unfamiliar to many,

(01:47:03):
and there's a story behind this. Again, you could see
the picture that it posted. And when I'm talking about
Carry In nineteen ninety one San Francisco, forty nine Ers
held a press conference to talk about matters and Eddie
de Bartolo was there. Carmen Policy the GM George c
for the head coach, and there was a new helmet
placed on the desk, and it had a new forty

(01:47:25):
nine Ers logo on it, and it was there was
a picture of Carmen policy that you'll you'll see if
you search it on the you just search nineteen ninety
one forty nine Ers helmet, you'll see it. But the
forty nine ers at nineteen ninety one tried to unveil
a new logo breaking free from the SF, the interlocking
SF that we still know to this day. Fans hated

(01:47:45):
it so much that the forty nine ers within a
couple of days announced that that logo that they displayed
during that press conference on that helmet would no longer
be used. It was forty nine ers. It was in
some funky saved by the bellefont if you will. It's bad,
it is really bad, but we have it on display here.

(01:48:06):
I collect the mini helmets. I collect many helmets, and
it's one of my prized mini helmets in my collection
is this forty nine ers holme. The forty nine ers
hit you with a ha.

Speaker 3 (01:48:15):
We were just playing situation because when you look at this,
if you guys get a chance to go over to
Blue Blue Sky to check out Dan and see what
he posted about this this new, this old new, not
never going to happen.

Speaker 2 (01:48:32):
Forty nine Ers logo is really bad. So yes, if
interlocking SF has stayed ever since, they've made some different alterations.
They've added some black sometimes to the uniforms, the kind
of go back to the to the eighties and nineties look.
But that was that was the forty nine ers helmet
logo for a few days in February in nineteen ninety one.

(01:48:53):
All right, there are a bunch of huge plays in
the NFL today. We always like to focus on one
and allow carry to use his playing expertise to break
it down. It's a segment we like to call and
fast times. Take us to your old stopping grounds, New
York is the Jets. We're home to the Indianapolis Colts,
and your former team up five twenty seven to twenty

(01:49:14):
two is Anthony Richardson, and the Colts took over the
football third and goal from about the Jets four and
a half yard line, and this is what the Colts did.

Speaker 7 (01:49:24):
Richison out of the count.

Speaker 12 (01:49:27):
Off, left d into the inZone into the exone touchdown.

Speaker 9 (01:49:32):
Anthony Richardson his second watching touchdown today and the Colts
with the score right there, lead twenty seven with forty
six seconds to go.

Speaker 2 (01:49:44):
Welcome back Anthony Richardson as the starter. How do they
cash in? On the Colts radio network, ah Man, So
what the Colts did here a third and goal? They
lined up in a bunch for Mason eleven personnel running
back in the backfield.

Speaker 3 (01:49:56):
They motioned the back out. Looks like the Jets are
in man and man coverage. What they do they run
a quarterback power tackle pools. The for Mason alignment by
the Jets was really bad. They out pretty much outflanked
before the snap even starts. The tackle gets out there,
gets the key kickout block, and Richardson does the rests

(01:50:16):
use his power to run in and bull in for
a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:50:19):
Gives the Colts twenty eight to twenty seven lead.

Speaker 3 (01:50:21):
They missed the two point conversion, but on that play
they just outflanked them, had the tackle pool the motion
out that clears out that last extra defender that the
Jets could use as a run through player, and touch
down by the Colts.

Speaker 2 (01:50:34):
Anthony Richardson was decent throwing the ball today, But my
question to you is he is still more dangerous as
a runner, yes on a third and goal of the
Jets just not expecting run in this situation or why
are they set up the way that they are because
Indy did have all three of their timeouts at this point.

Speaker 3 (01:50:50):
Yeah, I mean on this play it looks like I mean,
I don't I haven't seen the Colts play enough to know,
but in a bunch for Mason obviously down on the
red zone, you're trying to outflank him. So if you're
not going to run any type of costing routes there,
you're gonna try to get to the edge. And so
when that back motions out with the back being away
from the the trips there Church left and he's motioning

(01:51:13):
right and the most of the right, So that means
what they're trying to do is trying to outflank you.
And so by the way they're lined up by the
Colts and the Jets way of defending it, and a
man and man situation that close, all you need is
one tackle to get out Dan and Pool and you
get the ads and it's a big touchdown for the Colts.

Speaker 2 (01:51:27):
By the way, great job by the Colts and blocking
this for the first three yards and then Anthony Richardson
just ran over DJ Reid for the final three. I
wasn't going to say that, DJH. Great stuff from the
one and only Carry.

Speaker 1 (01:51:41):

All Right, you heard about the mock clapping from Travis
Kelcey talked a little bit about it, Martin mentioned it.
We had Mary even playing the mocking clapping. Could this
turn around to bite the Bills and the butts if
you will, that Kansas City now maybe has a little
motivation now that the undefeated season is over.

Speaker 3 (01:52:50):
Or does that stuff just stuff that we talk about
here in the media, just stuff that we talk about that.
I mean, the Bills players weren't the ones doing it
in his face.

Speaker 2 (01:52:58):
It was a fan.

Speaker 3 (01:53:00):
We're excited, it was a big win. They came out
and celebrated their team, and that's all. It is not
a big deal.

Speaker 2 (01:53:07):
The team that I am not leaving out, but I
think people feel that we are leaving out are the
eight and two Pittsburgh Steelers. When we talk about supremacy
in the AFC, the Chiefs and Steelers play later on
the season. In fact, they play Christmas Day. And what
is funky about the NFL schedule, because Christmas is on
a Wednesday, is the NFL is doing this. It's almost

(01:53:30):
it's not around Robin, but it kind of is. Where
they are putting the four teams of the Texans, Chiefs, Steelers,
and Ravens playing on Saturday the week prior so then
they'll have a short week, so they'll go Sunday, Saturday, Wednesday,
and then they'll have the week and a half off.
But now, because if you're trying to put great games

(01:53:53):
on Christmas Day, you need playoff teams and you need
playoff implications. And they did a good job in picking
the four that they did because they are all smack
dab in there. Now, whether we'll be able to see
it on Netflix, but this scheduling, you know, snaff fu
could either work really well or backfire for one of

(01:54:13):
these teams or maybe multiple teams. For the NFL doing
their holiday scheduling.

Speaker 3 (01:54:17):
Yeah, the whole holiday scheduling, it's always hard. I mean
when it was the normal traditional way. Obviously, the Thanksgiving
Day game, we knew that was a deal, and you know,
the Christmas Day game, we knew that was a deal.
But trying to get these teams to play on Wednesdays,
and it's just it's getting to be ridiculous. We know
it's about money, we know it's about that, but come on, man,

(01:54:38):
it's it's a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:54:39):
You can thank COVID because when we have those weird
scheduling games and you remember the Steelers were playing some
of them, Yeah, they could really open the eyes of
the NFL and and their wallets as well for it
to do something like that. But that's further down the road.
Right now, time to honor our m vps. For Week
eleven in the NFL.

not so fast, my friend.

Speaker 3 (01:58:55):
All right, eleven games in twenty one sixty five to
twenty three thirty eight, that's the yard. It's fourteen toestdown,
six interceptions, ten touchdown, three interceptions.

Speaker 2 (01:59:06):
Hey, Bo Nicks is nipping at his heels.

Speaker 8 (01:59:09):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:59:09):
So what you're saying is, while Jayden Daniels right now
may have a slight statistical edge, it's not as big
of a deal. I think people think that it's all
Denver's defense, and I may be a part of that
talking about Denver's defense all the time. But you're trying
to say, hey, don't forget about Bo Nicks and all
of this.

Speaker 3 (01:59:24):
The last four game stretch, he's really showing he's putting
some teeth in this fight.

Speaker 2 (01:59:29):
He gonna he's trying out to be pretty good. And
we've told you about the wildcard picture, something you talked
about even a little bit earlier. Broncos firmly in that
seventh wild card spot right now and likely not to
get much challenge from anybody else except maybe Cincinnati, who
placed the night against the Chargers.

Speaker 3 (01:59:45):
Would you like Bengals are Chargers? I got the Chargers.
The Charges are gonna not gonna allow Burrows to have
the ball enough to win.

Speaker 2 (01:59:51):
I actually am with you on that. I think that
the Chargers defense and offense comes up big, and the
Bengals haven't stopped anyone yet. We won't stop either. We'll
talk to you in week twelve.
