Speaker 3 (00:37):
O G A one C.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
In the middle of the second quarter of the Michigan
Ohio State game, let me know it, tweeted both of us.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
And said, I am not happy. What's what's going on here?
I am not happy with Ryan Day.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Norwill Howard. Now that we have that out of the way,
that's right, folks.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
For in a row our presidential term, back to back
to back to back to beck Michigan beats Ohio State,
Ryan Day won the first one.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Everything was good.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
Then then it's proceeded to drop four in a row,
in the biggest game that matters for him in the
regular season, and now Ohio State is in the scenario.
Well first round by kiss that bye bye. Okay, that's
where that went. And now we'll see how they feel
about how the committee feels because now Indiana, right, remember
that was the other Big Ten team and then in

(01:20):
the state, but you know it was really Ohio State Indiants.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
Well, now Indiana's got one less lost than Ohio State does.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
Ohio State with the two losses, this is Ryan Day's
first first lost to a non ranked opponent, yet his
fourth to Michigan.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
And this is just a game in which.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
If you're an Ohio State fan at this moment and
you are feeling like.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
You're ready to burn the entire earth.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
Down, I'll just say I completely understand because this was
the game that you needed to get mej This is
the game Ohio State needed to get Michigan is down.
Michigan just sent eighteen players to the NFL combine left
than a year ago. This team is devoid of pros.
Like they have a handful, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
It's not like last year where you're looking across the
league Mikey Sanderstrill. If we're making place for the Washington Commanders, right,
JJ McCarthy was gonna walk in and be the starting
quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings and tell me they wouldn't
be at least eight and three right next to the team,
I'm saying, all right, So there were guys pros that
were walking in offensive linemen that are walking and starting
in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
This is not that team from Michigan. This is not
Jim Harbo's Wolverines. In fact, it's so much not Jim
Harbo's Wolverines. He took half the damn coachixt a half
to Los Angeles. Jay interviews him after every Chargers game. Sure,
Jesse mintored Greg Roman, I mean, everybody, that was very nice, gentlemen.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
This is all new, This is all new.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
This was the time that Ohio State was supposed to flex.
This was the time that Ohio State was supposed to
restore order in this rivalry. This was the time in
which Ohio State was supposed to show just what a
top three team in college football looks like.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Hey, you know what happened?

Speaker 4 (02:59):
The same that's been happening year after year after year
after year.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Before I started.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
As always, I want to say hello to all the
fans out there listening in a Fox Sports Radio fan
tomorrow in VJ. Thank you for tuning in. You know,
we love y'all as I do every Saturday. Now that
that's gone, mar you make sure you keep that going
on repeat.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
I sat in this very chair just yesterday.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
And I told Arnie Spaniard and I told my good
buddy Bernie Fraddle, and I'll be on to Bernie Fraddle
Show tonight, guys, twelve thirty Pacific time. Make sure you
guys tune in for that and everybody that was listening,
and I've been saying it all year long. Oh yeah,
this is the victory laps of victory laps for VJ.
Vern Now Husky the big Vanilla funny and a love
run into shah In an alumni. I'm sitting next to. Okay,

(03:47):
that's the that's got the shirt on with the with
the block and right now you see the drip.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
You see the reason why on camera while I'm dressed
the way I'm dressed.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
I told you all all year long what was going
to happened to Ohio State this year? And what was
gonna happen today. Will Howard is min at best and
when you put the game in his hands, he will
throw the game away against Michigan, and he did it
twice today and then after he got his bell run
he tried to run it into the stadium boom.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Yeah, he tried to run to the.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
End of the stadium and hype the crowd up like,
oh no, I'm back, I'm ready to go.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
Absolutely not.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
I told Arnie and Bernie yesterday we are gonna win
in the trenches. We have the best D line in
the nation. We have the best two D tackles in
the nation. They are first round trap pops, their first
round traff picks.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
One of them is.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
From modern day high school right out here. I saw
him and covering him when he was in high school.
I told you we would outrush them. Go check the
rushes debts. I believe it was one seventy seven to
like seventy five or seventy four yards. That's aehard and
more yards than them on the ground. Who's the quarterback
for Michigan, You know what? God, I think his name
is Davis Warren who threw he had lest yards passing

(04:54):
Ohio State had rush They had rushing, no coasting, no
Loveland today, no all American Johnson that corner. Today Edwards
goes out in the middle of the first quarter. He
doesn't return today, no uniform receiver, no receiver to catch
the football, and a walk on quarterback. Ohio State spent
twenty one million dollars for today, for today, and I'm

(05:19):
all about nil. I'm all about porter. You guys hear me.
I don't complain about it. Pay the kids, pay the kids,
pay the kids, but damn it, you better win. And
you know what happened again today? Oh no dulls thress Quato.
You know what, that senior class will never have a
Big ten championship. You know what, that senior class will
never have those stupid ass goal payers did they give
out when they beat Michigan? You know what, that senior

(05:39):
class will never have a college playoff win. You know
if that class will never have a national championship, and
you know what else they'll never have, They'll never have
a fifteen to no undefeated season. I'm gonna stop right
now before I get going to the Lord. If I
was unbearable before, let me get it. If I was
unbearable to you before, I've been telling you all year long.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
You think we care about Michigan six and we don't.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
You know why because it still says twenty twenty three
National championship.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
That ring. What does it do? Mark? What's the ring
still do?

Speaker 4 (06:05):
R It's still shining and it's something that you will
never ever have there at Ohio State again. Your program
don't matter no more.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
It's done.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
What you're gonna do now fire him? Who you're gonna
go get, You're gonna bring back Urban.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
That's the DJ. That's the quiet part out loud.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
Ryan Day is a hell of a football coach against
everybody but Michigan.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
That's the wild part.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
Ryan Day is one of the best winning percentages in
college football. John Cooper I was just about to so
is John Cooper. So did John So was John Cooper,
So did John Cooper has lost this game. Let them
come out. Look right now, right now, the Ohio State
fan in your family wants to fire Ryan Day. Imagine

(06:48):
what happens in the first round of the playoffs where
Ohio State was supposed to have a first round by
not gonna happen. They're supposed to have a first round
by not gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
They might. I mean they're gonna be able to road
road to start that.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
It depends because it would it would be some funny
stuff to happen, Like Indiana would have to get valued
more highly than Ohio State, but like they could be
starting out.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Imagine if imagine.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
The world where Boise State, who took the number one
team in the national Oregon should be able to brink.
Imagine a world where Boise State beats Ohio State.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
Just turn the handleball to genty. He could do it.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
I mean, because what we saw that I saw Khalil Mullins,
who all do respect to Cali. He is not he's
going pro and something else. Yeah, okay, no he's not.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
He's not an NFL. I don't think he's NFL back now.

Speaker 4 (07:39):
He's not an NFL guy. And he was just mauling them.
But you know what he is though he's un defeated
against Ohio State. Well that's one thing to make one correction.
There is one member, one member of the Ohio State
twenty twenty one recruiting class to beat Michigan. Is there
there is? He's not a Michigan. He's not a no more.
This gotta be a trick question. He must he must

(08:00):
be at another school. Quin you were there, you.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
Go, that's I know it, say I know it.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
He must be at another school because ain't nobody that
recruited class. That's where the ugliest Buckeye uniforms beat Michigan.
None of them guys there have done it.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
Today. Martin was this might have been one.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
Of my favorite Michigan victories ever because it's six and five.
We couldn't find our quarterback up. I called that three
weeks ago. We're getting bright sounderway, No, you're not VJ.
You guys aren't getting brace under. I sat right here
till Martin. What's the price? That's where we're at college football?
What's the price?

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Son? What does it take you?

Speaker 4 (08:32):
You want some SUVs to show your family back and
forth for the games? What you need fifty game tickets?
They want to get pregame field access to stand.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
On the side.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
What does it take, young man, for you to just
come right down the street instead of going all the
way to back down rouge And he gave them the
answer and Michigan, Oh.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
By the way, Tom Brady made a phone call. How
do you like that?

Speaker 4 (08:51):
Tom Brady made a phone call. I even got that
deal done. The biggest endowment in college sports, ye in college,
University of Michigan.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
Yeah, the founders of Google, the big Tom Brady, like
you could buy former presidents, former presidents, you guys.

Speaker 5 (09:06):
If with all that being the case, why why is
Brian Kelly catching so much heat for this?

Speaker 4 (09:11):
Like?

Speaker 6 (09:11):
What was he supposed to do? If call a better game?

Speaker 3 (09:14):
Come on?

Speaker 5 (09:15):
If Tom Brady is calling Brian Underwood and they are
giving him ten million dollars whatever, like Brian Kelly should
just throw I mean, he has to throw his hands
up and say, what.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
Do you want from me? Man?

Speaker 4 (09:24):
More? Eleven eleven is giving the money eleven twelve, that's
the thirteen. That's the world and the business we're in.
Get it done. I don't want to hear no excuses.
I don't want to hear no crap. Ohio State put
a twenty one million dollar team on the field this
year and now you left two losses, two of them,
and it's because what should have been three but it wasn't. Hey, listen,

(09:47):
they look good at some other games and then the
games that mattered the most against Oregon.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
What does will Howard do?

Speaker 4 (09:53):
Scramble with no timeouts, right, no, with the clock running down.
And then again today, what does he do with the
game on the line, with the game in the balance?

Speaker 3 (10:03):
He throws to the opposite jersey.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
And then he couldn't complete a damn pass to save
his life for the last quarter and a half of
the game. People, they ran three plays in the fourth
quarter at one point.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
The biggest indictment of Ohio State, the biggest indictment of
Ohio State is on that was it fourth and goal
When Davis Warren threw that intercepted ball by Jack Sawyer.
He turned about fifteen yards.

Speaker 4 (10:29):
They played by him, and I was, you know, everybody's like,
oh no, like my friends and everybody's.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
Although, this is it? This is it? Wasn't worried. I
respond to everybody.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
I said, there is no way Ohio State's about to
get four first downs in a row. Yes, as long
as Michigan does not give up an explosive play there,
Michigan will get this ball back. Look and sure enough,
three and out, Michigan gets the ball back.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
And you know what was even more impressive than that.

Speaker 4 (10:56):
Look, we're not messing around. You can't lock, you can't
you can't stop can't stop, can't stop him.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Stop him, and they pushed him around.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
You can have all them from from Garrett Wilson, the
Barvin Harrison, Chris soul Lavea to Mecca Buca after him
and what's the Jeremiah Smith? We shut him all down?
Who is your right guard? We shut him all down? Yeah,
last season, we're nothing today. In the touchdown that Jeremiah
Smith scored on, since win?

Speaker 3 (11:21):
Is that not offensive? Since win?

Speaker 4 (11:23):
Can the receiver run up to a dB and shove
him down six or seven yards down the field and
then break to the outside and go catch a touchdown
pass and it's not a penalty.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
But that's fine.

Speaker 4 (11:33):
That show that was the only way you can score
enough of them. Let's talk about Michigan, just real fast.
Shamall Moore, sir, my goodness, sir, to up, my goodness, sir.
People want that you fired, and I said, you guys
are dumb as hell? What do you mean fire him?
We lost everybody to the NFL. It's gonna be a
tough year. We don't have a quarterback. We had to
play three of them. But when it mattered the most,

(11:53):
it started last week. Fore, you're right, we played four
quarterbacks this year.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
Don't of them retire.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
And speaking of which, alex Or g Sir, congrats to
Ua big twenty nine yard run today. That was huge
in the game today, two carries for thirty one yards
because the other one the only ran for a two yards.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
But that was a huge play.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
But the Michigan players that stood up today, that that
bowed up today and showed up today when we had
the lesser team.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
But we're just better than you. We're tougher than you.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
We're tough for mind it did you and last real
quick point sore ass losers.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
Now we're classless because.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
We're doing what teams do and rivalry games and planned
the flat Texas planted the flag in ann Arbor, no
one said anything and Michigan didn't fight them. We planted
the flag Dare in the day. And now you want
to fight after the game. Why didn't you fight during
the game. That's why your asses head.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
Speaking of here's Khalil Mullins with Jenny Taff after the game.

Speaker 7 (12:43):
At the end of the day.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
You know, some people gotta they gotta learn how to lose.

Speaker 4 (12:46):
Man, you can't can't be fighting and stuff just because
he lost the game.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
You know all that fighting. We had sixty minutes. We
had four quarters to do all that fighting.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
And that's the thing he's doing things. They've had four quarters,
They've had four years to do all that fighting. Dafty
Tuomo Allow, you've had four years to do all that fire,
Jack Sawyer, You've got four years for all of that.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
You know what you got?

Speaker 4 (13:05):
Boom boom, boom boom, not a zip zilch. Throw it
in a trail of downs, transfer junkets, transferred.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
And transfer just to just to lose his second game
against Michie. That was about to say, this.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
Is his second time going up against Michigan in a
big spot and being on the losing should have came
to ann Arboro, buddy, you should have took the money
and came to ann Arboro.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
Here's the last thing about this.

Speaker 4 (13:25):
This is what I was trying to impress upon people
who were not understanding the argument, Like, who're not understanding
the importance of this game. Ohio State spent twenty million
dollars on their nil. Ohio State even if it's in
the ballpark, Yeah, okay, Ohio State on roster A. If
you just google Ohio State football, now click roster that

(13:47):
roster is a top three talented roster in college football.
Ryan Day is forty seven and one.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
Against unranked the phone.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
Ryan Days a hell of a football couch and now
because of because he cannot get this win, this is
the move. This is a game that if they fire
Ryan Day, they can and hire the wrong person. Oh
that's what I'm saying, can go backwards for ten years,
they could, this could be this could be a Lloyd
car into rich Rod Brady's radio.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
Yeah not Yeah, I take a decade. That's what was
a decade.

Speaker 4 (14:24):
That's how long it takes to get back if you
make a mistake here. And to be clear, if I'm
Ohio State, I don't know what the hell to do
because you got Ryan Day, who can't win the big
games and win to all the other ones. Right, So
Ryan Day is a B B plus and you're gonna
try to find an A plus and you might just.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
End up with a D minus. Absolutely, And next year
you gotta go to the big house.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
And next year we have the number one recruit in
the top quarterback in the nation coming in and we
have a lot of young players.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
Yeah, we lose Maason, we lose Graham, but Grant and Graham.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
But guess what, guys, we got a lot of young
studs that were out on that field today, and portal
is only going to be more open to Michigan again
because they can go and say, hey, guess what we
do here. We beat Ohio State here. So it's four
years in a row. Bet four president's term.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
I like that. That was very That was very clever.
That was very, very clever.

Speaker 4 (15:14):
Well, you know, somebody Dapple Sweeney knows a little bit
of a freshman quarterbacks. As Lenora Sellers scored a game
winning touchdown run with about a minute and eight seconds
left to go ahead and get South Carolina to win
over Clemson.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
There were I called that yesterday.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
There were other college football games on today besides Michigan
and Ohio State, but there's only one that's called the game.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
So that's why we just did sixteen minutes on it.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
We will address the rest of the college football playoff
picture in just the moment it was. It was anarchy
today out there on the grid. Iroon Martin wis Vichahussey,

Texas is tuning in. Appreciate your pal. Sean Kan eighty six,
I'll be tuned in. Glad to have Martin back. Yes,
I did miss last week.

Speaker 4 (16:31):
Got a pretty vicious car accident, but uh everything's good.
Good man as the accident was for Ohio State today. Yeah,
glad to have you back, though, brother. Have you seen
fourteenth and Indy. He's been kind of mile That's what
I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
He tweeted me.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
He tweeted me, but before halftime it was like, I
just want to go on the record.

Speaker 4 (16:49):
Oh he was, Oh he was, he was copping Please
here hold on.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
He was copping please before the game.

Speaker 4 (16:56):
Where we go, Here we go, Sucker, here we go Martin,
This is Chadden. Since I call on the odd couple
all the time. We aren't happy with Ryan Days. His
job is on the line right now. We might be
OSU alumni and fans, but we aren't pleased with Chip
Kelly or Ryan Day or Will. Howard just wanted that
to be known.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
And then I responded, and he said, at least a
black head coach one if we have to lose to
t u n say the name.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
Oh, we're not hating on y'all much respect.

Speaker 4 (17:23):
Nah no no no, no no no no no no
no no no no no. That's not gonna work. That's
not gonna work at all. Well, I don't take Coppy, please.
Martin's nice, Martin's a nice guy, Mars, I'm not nice.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
I'm not taking none of y'all. Bs.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
Please don't be tweeting right before that because you saw
how it was going.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
You've been running your mouth all year. Look, I don't
do that. If Michigan lose, they just lose. My squad
los didn't lose. I don't run to Twitter and go
hey man.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
Look I'm really upset with Mike McDaniel in the way
he's running the office.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
Man, I don't like how this is going.

Speaker 4 (17:51):
I may be a Dolphin fan, but man, go on,
bmb mine please, I'm sorry, Bro, I'm all one today. Dog,
I don't like copping.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
Please.

Speaker 4 (17:59):
You run your mouth all year long and then when
is that what like second quarter?

Speaker 3 (18:04):
Yeah, it was very much in the game.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
That's where That's where I felt the game was kind
of bogging down for Ohio State to Buddy and so
did you. You could just say, you know what, nice
call gentlemen, congrats gentlemen. We don't want none of them
fake copping. Please, Bro, please save it.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
But I think the point is well taken in that
the point is well taken in that, uh, the fan
base is not happy.

Speaker 4 (18:28):
Well, fan base is not satisfied, man, look and they
shouldn't be right. I would if I was in that boat,
I would either. In fact, hell, when Michigan was in
that boat, I was miserable. What the difference between when
Michigan was in that boat is that Michigan team Like
when I was an undergrad with the rich Rodriguez and
the Brad competed for a national title anything in that run.

Speaker 3 (18:51):
And the thing is my senior year, I said, I
say five, just to beat Ohio. Where did you come out?
I came though? My last year was.

Speaker 4 (18:59):
Six and speeding Luke Ficklin sixty six Ohio State. Okay,
that was my last what year, iently thirteen? Oh you're
graduated thirteen? Okay, So that time period, in that time period,
that was Michigan's down moment. Okay, and this is still
this is still Brady Holk at the time. But they
go and Ohio State comes in. There sites that Don Robinson.

(19:21):
No Donard, Yeah, there was no Dannard had gone on
to the league A right.

Speaker 3 (19:25):
It was with Jack. I can't remember because me and
donar were the same class. Again, I did a fifth year.
So was that Sam McGuffey and those guys. Sam mcguffy
and I had several drinks together as frad h word, Yeah,
I know.

Speaker 4 (19:38):
I mean, you tell some good Michigan stories. You never
told that one, though, I mean, you never told me
that was Sam McGuffey.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
Didn't, No, that was he was? He was he was
He was a good gadget type of They don't know
who Sam McGuffey is.

Speaker 2 (19:49):
But you probably don't unless you are a diehard college
football fan from like ten years ago.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
YouTube Sam McGuffey was one of the first YouTube recruits.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
His YouTube tube mixtape was insane and he's he was
one of the first people to jump over people like
with regularity. Now we see Saquon Barkley doing it backwards,
but it just.

Speaker 3 (20:12):
Goes to show you.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
It's like, do you see the first dunk? Now, all
of a suddenybody's dunking behind their back.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
Sam mc guffy is one of the first people to
really consistently hurtle over people.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
He tried it at Michigan on Never Get on a Kickoff.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
I was in the stands and there's a picture of
me pointing at a concussed Sam McGuffey, like, is he
going to have I'll find it during the break.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Yeah, you should have that man and frame that bro.
I'll find it during the break.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
But this is the thing about what happened today, especially
with Miami losing, Ohio State losing all that, we are
seeing Okay, transfer quarterbacks won the Heisman for the longest,
but now we're seeing more of.

Speaker 4 (20:50):
The the more coveted, hot, more highly paid quarterbacks. They're
not in conference championship games.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
Like Miami and Will how Miami and Ohio State.

Speaker 4 (21:02):
That was the big story this summer. Who's gonna land
cam Ward? Who's gonna land Will Howard?

Speaker 1 (21:10):
Right?

Speaker 3 (21:10):
Ohio?

Speaker 4 (21:11):
They wanted cam more real bad and they didn't get him.
They got Will Howd Right. Will Howard was like the
consolation prize.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
Both of those guys super compensated, neither one of them
competing for a conference championship.

Speaker 4 (21:22):
Yeah, absolutely, absolutely, man, It's listen, this is this is
the dangers every will say that this isn't the dangers.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
Off going into the portal four quarterback.

Speaker 4 (21:31):
It's because when you do go get him, like with Oregon, right,
they gonna get Dylan Gabriel, you better win it.

Speaker 3 (21:35):
Like you better win it. You went to the portal
and got a quarterback, you better win it.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
It's just the way it is. Alabama was on the
break to win, to get to a national championship. Homegrown
quarterback Michigan won it all last year. Homegoing quarterback Washington
went and got a portal guy, got a transit guy.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
They couldn't They didn't win it.

Speaker 4 (21:50):
LSU went and got a Howdrod trophy win a portal guy,
they didn't win it. The homegrown kids are the ones
that you probably want to stick with and grow your
own talent at the quarterback position to win a national championship.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
That's a great point that you bring up.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
But yesterday's show, I took care I took South Carolina,
I took Syracuse, and I took Michigan as my three
underdogs to pull off upsets today, and all three of
them cashed in and they all catched in with homegrown quarterbacks.
With the quarterbacks that are there this going into the portal,
you gotta be careful with this stuff.

Speaker 7 (22:18):
Now.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
I'm not saying it's a no go no. It's obviously
it worked for Colorado.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
But it is not just copy and paste from Kansas
State to Ohio State, or for Washington State to Miami.
It is simply not just very much in the same way,
it is very much not copy and paste. When I
get out of the update chair, Steve de Sager sittended,
because that is an upgrade that we've seen of nume of.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
I'll tell you what, if Steve Sager was coach Ohio.

Speaker 4 (22:44):
State, I'd be scared of, say, this guy in the
business's kick it over there for the stuff they guy
in the business, I mean it.

Speaker 9 (22:50):
Let's hit to college. Number one Oregon now leads it home.
They're just scored against Washington. That's thirteen to six for
the moment is the lead. In the second quarter on
FS one, it's tenth ranked Indiana with a dusting of
snow on the field. Hoo's yours lead lowly Purdue twenty
eight nothing late second quarter. A Purdue loss would put

(23:11):
them at one and eleven. Third ranked Texas is playing
at Texas A and M. Tonight's winner goes to the
SEC championship game against Georgia in Atlanta next Saturday. Texas
leads seven nothing over the rival Aggie's as arch Manning
came on the field for a run and it was
fifteen yards and a touchdown after video review on Fox TV.

(23:32):
Top twenty five matchup at Iowa State now has the
Cyclones with a field goal, leading ten to seven over
Kansas State early in the second quarter, and number twenty
two UNLV with a chance to go to six and
one in the Mountain West up at home ten to
seven over Nevada in the first quarter. Michigan won at
number two Ohio State thirteen to ten on a short

(23:52):
field goal in the final minute. Fourth ranked Penn State
is going to the Big Ten title game against Oregon
next Saturday night. Penn State rip Maryland and forty four
to seven. Fifth rank Notre Dame now eleven and one
after winning at USC forty nine thirty five. The Irish
with two pick sixes in the last four minutes ninety
nine yards and one hundred yards at Syracuse the Orange

(24:13):
Trail number six ranked Miami twenty one nothing in the
second quarter. Syracuse wins the game forty two to thirty eight,
so Clemson goes to the ACC title game against SMU
next Saturday night. Ninth ranked SMU thirty eight six winners
against Cal. Clemson, ranked twelfth, did lose at home on
a late score by South Carolina seventeen to fourteen. Eighth

(24:35):
ranked Tennessee, which was down early, still won at Vanderbilt
thirty six twenty three victories for Alabama and Arizona State
for Missouri and Illinois as well. The final playoff bracket
will be announced a week from tomorrow, Sunday, December the eighth.
The Arizona Cardinals gave running back James Connor a two
year extension. Washington running back Austin Eckler was placed on

(24:55):
injured reserve with a concussion. Chargers running back JK. Dobbin
is on IR with a knee injury, and in the
NBA Tonight snow Joel Embiid is not playing, but Paul
George is and Philadelphia leads at Detroit in the third
seventy seven sixty two.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
Back to you, Thanks Steve Rapid Radios, the official communicat
MA communication.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
What in the world that word you love? That word?
That word? That word? Who's my ass harder than rival? Rival?
Ely week? Momentimum? That's mine? Momentimum, Ours and ws are
are tough for me. Rival? You know many times I
just gave up on rivalry.

Speaker 4 (25:36):
That one red River rivaly, Yeah they could have red
River Showdown was right there.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
I yet so easy.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
I get changed his name from shootout, but showdown yeah
maybe red River standoff Yep, maybe.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
No, he's just had another r red River Rivalry.

Speaker 4 (25:51):
It's just putting broadcasters and everywhere all across America in
absolute hell.

Speaker 3 (25:56):
It got so bad. I was looking up the names
of the games.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
I got know iron Ball obviously in clean off fashion
game and so on, but just to not say Rivalry
Week four times an hour at the update desk, Rapid

Speaker 3 (26:31):
All right, VJ. Well's up. We will be talking sprinkling
in college football as we go throughout the rest of
the show.

Speaker 4 (26:38):
As we look at Texas now with a seven and
nothing lead over Texas A and M, the winner of
there goes to the SEC Championship game.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
We will keep you abreast of all little.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
Different playoff scenarios and championship game scenarios and everything.

Speaker 4 (26:50):
But let's go ahead and turn our attentions to the
Major League circuit. The professionals here, the Arizona Cardinals and
the Minnesota Vikings in a game that honestly, you look
at the records, they oh Arizona six and five, Minnesota
nine and two. But this is a game in which
there is a massive wild card implications because the Lions

(27:13):
seemed like a wagon. Even if they lose a game,
they still have one up on Minnesota because the head
to head and now obviously Minnesota will play again, but
you will see how that plays out.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
Arizona a top of the division.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
However, the bottom of the division, I mean the top
of the division is like climbing the.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
Stairs to the second floor, right, it's very quick to
go right back down if you're the Arizona Cardinals.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
In fact, it could happen at about a three and
a half hour period on a Sunday. Who needs this
game more between the Arizona Cardinals and the Minnesota Vika.

Speaker 3 (27:45):
Oh, this is easy for me, mister Cardinals, Mister Cardinals.

Speaker 4 (27:48):
The Cardinals needs this game more because I think Minnesota
just has more weapons and they'll be okay going down
the line. I think the Cardinals need this game more
because this division is still really tight. And not saying
that the Norse Division isn't but division did you say
the Norse Division? Yeah, Chris Berman used to call the
Chris Berman reference right there for you, young bucker, whose
little young mus from hockey it is? But he used

(28:09):
to call it Chris Berman. Uh, you know NFL Primetime
great with Tom Jackson used to used to call it exactly.
He used to call it the Norse Division. So that
was just a Chris Berman reference. But the NFC North,
I think that division is I think three teams are
getting in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
They're fine there.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
This NFC West Division is still nip and tuck, only
the division winners getting in. They're not getting a wild
card out of this division. So the Cardinals have to
continue to keep winning. And the Cardinals still have conference
games coming up, so they still have to Seahawks and
the Rams. I believe they still have conference games coming up. Sure,
so Minnesota two. Yeah, But but I think that division
is gonna get three teams in the NFC into the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (28:47):
This this division is only getting one team in.

Speaker 4 (28:49):
If you look at this division right now, you have
Seattle sitting in first place there, the Cardinals are sitting
in the second place. You have the Rams, you have
the Niners. I think the Rams and the Niners could
be done.

Speaker 7 (28:58):
To me.

Speaker 4 (28:58):
It's down between Seattle and the Cardinals. So the Cardinals
need this game definitely a whole lot more than Minnesota does.
If you look at their remaining schedule, they have the
Vikings and then they have the Seahawks, the Patriots, the Panthers,
the Rams, and the Niners. So their last three weeks
in the year, for the last four weeks in the year,
they have three conference they have three division games. So

(29:19):
this is super and uber important for them. I think
the Vikings will be fine. They lose this game a Seahawks,
you never know what you're getting with that team, man.
And then they went into be San Francisco a few
weeks ago. They got to go to the Panthers in
three weeks. Yeah, the Panthers aren't a great team, but
Kansas City had to fight to get out of Carolina.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
Hey, a quick note, b note, both Bryce.

Speaker 4 (29:44):
Young and Anthony Richardson look significantly better after watching from
the sidelines for a couple of games.

Speaker 2 (29:50):
Maybe the NFL doesn't have a development problem. Maybe the
NFL just needs to take a second and let guys,
you know, kind of take.

Speaker 3 (29:57):
They have a rush problem.

Speaker 4 (29:58):
They have a rush problem, though, Mark and is because
in all honestly, it's us, man, it's us.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
It's the fans, it's the fans, it's the media.

Speaker 4 (30:06):
It's that we put a lot of pressure on these
teams and these franchises, and coaches get fired, you know,
players get bitched, and it all works together. That's what
makes football so beautiful. Mark, Honestly, man, it's all mixed
in together. People think, oh, no, coaches, you're thinking owner
cares with the fans.

Speaker 3 (30:23):
Yes, they do. Well, that's they do, guys. That's why
not to me.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
That's why that offseason Hard Knocks was great. You literally
saw and a clip that Joe Shane will never forget.
You literally saw John Marr saying Saquon is by far
our most popular player. Yeah, we cannot lose him. The
fans will revolve, sure enough.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
But they'll tell you.

Speaker 4 (30:45):
But they'll tell you, Martin that the owners and the
gms and the vps they don't care what the fans.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
You think they care what they say on Twitter, VJ.

Speaker 4 (30:52):
Yes they do, because it drives the needle, it drives
the money. Social media is powerful, people say, it's super powerful.
Not necessarily what one person says now, but when you
have a sweeping sentiment, yes, very much like I could
think of a similar scenario, the sweetpeak sentiment traveling through
Columbus Ohio right now, as hint as the entire place

(31:16):
is claiming for calling for Ryan days Head, it's something
very similar to that feeling. But you have the money
people too, like on to college that you got the
money people, and the money people put pressure on you too.

Speaker 3 (31:28):
So the outside voices.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
Do match her period to the point of the NFL
game where we're talking about the Cardinals and the Vikings.
I think the Cardinals need it because this very well
could be your first.

Speaker 3 (31:40):
Round home playoff game. M Oh, yeah, you're right, this
very well could be your right. You're right.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
You got to go out there and show you can
handle the blind Flores defense. And we know Sham Darnold
is not necessarily a top of the line, top tier quarterback.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
He's playing great.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
Dish year historically shows something different. You want to be
able to go out there establish yourself against this team.
I think it's a big moment for Arizona, especially because
they can't afford to lose a game and maintain that's
a one big league that NFC West, that's the only
on the team, so it's got to be it's going
to be obviously.

Speaker 3 (32:18):
The team that wins.

Speaker 4 (32:19):
You know why this game is also so big too.
Seattle also goes on the road tomorrow for a ten
am start. You guys, look up the record of West
Coast teams that have to go play that one pm kickoff,
which is ten am out here.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
It's a different thing, guys.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
Your body's just not Sometimes it takes a minute for
those guys to wake up and for them to get going.

Speaker 3 (32:36):
So you got two NFC West teams flying out east
to play ten am starts.

Speaker 4 (32:43):
Huge for both these teams tomorrow, and I agree with
you that you gotta go get this one on the road.
I don't think they will, but this could be a
first round playoff game. If you're the Vikings and say
you win by twenty tomorrow, are you are you afraid
of going into Arizona for a wildcard game?

Speaker 3 (33:00):
They may have won the division, but who gives it?

Speaker 8 (33:01):
Who?

Speaker 3 (33:02):
Yeah? Exactly, So let's do this for you think they
should receive playoffs? Right? I think I've heard you say
that before. Right, let's say it. Let's spend thirty seconds
here because we don't have this game on the round.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
The Jets had a tumultuous and I think it's the best,
most generous.

Speaker 3 (33:21):
Reading of it.

Speaker 4 (33:23):
The week before Thanksgiving, to the point that I'm to
the point I'm reading these stories, I'm like, do they
they still have to play games?

Speaker 3 (33:29):
Guys?

Speaker 4 (33:30):
You know what I'm saying, Like they still have to
play games? To the point that sad. Last Saturday, I
was thinking of coming in the topic. You know, Jim
Harvey say, who's got better than us? Who's got it worse?
The Jets are the giants?

Speaker 3 (33:38):
Right?

Speaker 5 (33:39):
Like?

Speaker 3 (33:39):
That was the topic.

Speaker 4 (33:40):
I was thinking, Yeah, right, so do the Jets because
we both thought after Kansas City blocked the field goal
in Denver that Denver, that's a moment you could fold
or you could rally. We both thought Denver would rally.
The Jets I think have had. They are in the
same moment a fold, a rally.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
Done.

Speaker 4 (34:00):
They're gonna lose tomorrow. Done, I think so done, done, done,
done done. Aaron Rodgers already talking about whether I'm gonna
play next year. If not, are gonna be for done.
They're over by mass Jets.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
Coming up next.

Speaker 10 (34:12):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (34:12):
It's a question to some, especially Steve Hartman and our
producer Ian Me and VJ, are curious as to what
in the hell a y'all watching on Saturdays.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
We'll break that down coming up next morning, White Feature Husky,
Fox Sports Football.

Speaker 3 (34:29):
Saturday, Go blow.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
You've never heard this song before?

Speaker 4 (34:38):
What is this?

Speaker 3 (34:42):
Last time? I got under that missile?

Speaker 10 (34:44):
Toe with you?

Speaker 3 (34:45):
What in the hell is this? When is Sam? What
kind of Christmas song is? I should like the party? Deep?
And why do you know all the words?

Speaker 7 (34:58):
Right?

Speaker 3 (35:01):
Imagine everybody dancing? It makes you want to kiss somebody.
This is the missile.

Speaker 11 (35:15):
And I like.

Speaker 3 (35:17):
It. Stop laughing to the mistle to Jim, wait for
the missile to everybody kiss somebody.

Speaker 4 (35:28):
Well, wow, I've never heard this before. I've and I know, Chris,
I've never heard this before. That's good, you got me.
That's so good romance. Hey, Martin's never saying He's never
saying this much on Live Era ever, ever, did you?

Speaker 3 (35:46):
I'm assuming Periods played this a lot.

Speaker 5 (35:48):
It also doesn't roll through to the podcast, so the
podcast listeners are just.

Speaker 6 (35:52):
Getting straight Martin singing there's no word that beautiful.

Speaker 4 (35:56):
That maatful, Yes, giving now and I'm glad you that's dope.
So now people are gonna be like, what is Martin doing?
Oh wow, Luther Vandros you remind me when just your
whole head Bob right there, all I can see is
Rick Rubin.

Speaker 3 (36:15):
If you know who.

Speaker 4 (36:16):
Rick Rubin is one of the founding members form the
founding fathers of Deaf Jam Records.

Speaker 3 (36:20):
He's saying that because you're white looking at him on.

Speaker 2 (36:27):
All right, that's not the only reason. That's the Missiletoe
Jam by Luther Vandross. I honestly wouldn't have kept it
going that long. I'm shocked you had never heard that
song wow, And if I have, I just don't remember it.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
But wow that word for word, man, like wow, last
time I got on the Missile t with you.

Speaker 4 (36:43):
Man, listen, listening Being Crosby and the Temptations Christmas was
on repeat, and Shirley Caesar's Christmas album. Like any religious
my grandmother was very very spiritual religious. So being at
her house Shirley Caesar, Being Crosby and the and the
Temptations that was.

Speaker 3 (37:00):
On read it was on loop. She wasn't going it
was there was not been going for the miss second remusic. Yeah,
not at all.

Speaker 4 (37:09):
My grandmother, Amry Spearman, who is still a loveyck and
she would have never played that song.

Speaker 3 (37:13):
Get her Maya's let.

Speaker 6 (37:14):
Us know by Boys to Men. It's only because of
the fresh Princi bel.

Speaker 3 (37:17):
Air that episode for Nikki's christening.

Speaker 4 (37:21):
Absolutely, yeah, that song is dope though, But if you
got that one, played that one later, I'll sing Martin sung.

Speaker 3 (37:26):
Now, I'll say. I'll say this.

Speaker 4 (37:27):
Though, because there's one thing that is not a doubt,
just like the Miss Jam is in fact the jam.
To me, there's no doubt that Travis Hunter is the
Heisman Trophy winner. It is just yet to be handed
off yet. The thing that concerns me, though, VJ is
Steve Hartman has the show before us, and he is.
You know, he may not have heard he has a
Heisman vote.

Speaker 3 (37:43):
Does he? He still is yet to go ahead and admit,
but we all know.

Speaker 4 (37:47):
And I'm having a conversation, you know, pre show turns
out our producers one of them, Wow, explain yourself.

Speaker 10 (37:56):
Uh, they're both I don't think I deserve that man,
all right, well I could tell it. I'd actually hurt
his feelings.

Speaker 3 (38:07):
What you just said that. He didn't like that, didn't
like that. No, but they're both super deserving.

Speaker 5 (38:15):
I just feel like, regardless, this year, we're gonna get
like a historic snub because both guys are so deserving
that I feel like, whoever doesn't get it, it's gonna
be like one of the biggest snubs ever, like that,
like one of the most deserving Heisman candidates to never
actually get it.

Speaker 3 (38:31):
To be clear, you're talking about Jancy versus.

Speaker 5 (38:33):
Versus only to Ashton Genty. I saw a graphic on
Fox the other night. Look, this is the last three
running backs that have won the Heisman, Derrick Henry, mark Ingram,
and Reggie Bush. Now, if you compare Genty' stats to
these guys yards per rush, Derrick Henry had six point one,
mark Ingram had six point eight, Reggie Bush had eight
point six, which is absurd. Genty had seven point five.

Speaker 6 (38:56):
This season.

Speaker 5 (38:56):
Okay, rush yards, Henry had fifteen, twenty six, Ingram had
one thousand, three hundred ninety nine, and Bush had one thousand,
three hundred ninety eight genty two thousand, sixty two. For
looking at touchdowns, Henry had twenty one, Ingram had twelve,
Reggie Bush had thirteen. Genty has twenty seven.

Speaker 3 (39:17):
Now do interceptions, Yeah, well that's the problem.

Speaker 6 (39:21):
But that and it's valid.

Speaker 3 (39:23):
It's valid.

Speaker 5 (39:24):
But if you think about it, like when is when
is defense ever played into the Heisman before? And I'm
not saying we shouldn't count Yeah and recent recent.

Speaker 3 (39:34):
Yeah, I mean whin had recent lea? When have we
seen the guy playing?

Speaker 4 (39:39):
Wait?

Speaker 5 (39:39):
I hate that this debate has to come down to
tearing down the other guy to build the other guy up.

Speaker 3 (39:43):
They're both so deserving. I don't want to I don't
want to sit here. Don't what's happening. I don't think
that's what you're doing.

Speaker 4 (39:48):
But also I'll give you another stud that I saw too,
thirty yard runs, forty yr runs, fifty yard runs, sixty
one seventy yard runs. Jen z over like that the
last fifteen years, first and all, Crazy Man is.

Speaker 3 (39:58):
The MVP ats on Sunday, this game may decided, Martin J.
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (40:05):
Don't listening the Fox Sports Radio Radio is.

Speaker 2 (40:08):
The MVP on the line, Martin Wise videas coming to
you live from the Tire iraq dot Com sodeoseti iraq

Speaker 4 (40:17):

thousand recommended installars Tire iraq dot com.

Speaker 3 (40:23):
It's the way that Tire buying should be VJ.

Speaker 4 (40:26):
We're gonna do something different at the bottom of the
hour real quick, though, I just want to bounce back
Ian jump in on it. I just want to bounce
back on this with the Heisman thing really quick. Could
it possibly end up? Do you think we could see
Cole Heisman Trophy winners? No, we've seen coning. We see
Cole rookie of the years before in the NBA, Jason Kidd,
Grant Hill, Like, I don't think it would be much

(40:47):
of an outrage.

Speaker 3 (40:48):
I can see both these men up on the podium and.

Speaker 4 (40:51):
They bring out the second trophy from the beat because
they already know who won, right they already know that
de votes accounting. Wait before the ceremony, they already know
who one. I'm just I'm just kind of I'm just.

Speaker 1 (41:02):
Throwing it out.

Speaker 3 (41:02):
If we have dual, im gonna be literally furious.

Speaker 5 (41:05):
It just set such a slippery slope and precedent because
then whenever in the future you have two guys who
are remotely close, there's gonna be such a debate.

Speaker 3 (41:14):
Both of them.

Speaker 4 (41:14):
They did it with Travis No, no, no, no, I'm
and just last real quick, I'm with you a little.
I I am with you a little. I think I
think Travis Hunters the Heisman. I just don't think the
separation is as big as maybe Martin and maybe some
other people think this year that Jent's having He's all
they have. Yeah, and you know he's getting the ball

(41:36):
and there's nothing you can do about it. I think
I think Travis Hunters the Heisman winner, but I think
it's closer. I think it's a lot closer. And I
think we're gonna see that in the voting. If there
we're gonna see that voting.

Speaker 3 (41:47):
If there was an MVP for college football, I'll probably
give it. But that is not what the Heisman is
supposed to be.

Speaker 4 (41:53):
And he's probably gonna win. There is an award like that, right,
there's somebody that wins, like the National Player of the Year.

Speaker 5 (41:57):
You mean, like if there was like an Offensive Player
of the Year. Because I feel like the Heisman is
kind of the MVP.

Speaker 4 (42:02):
No, the Heisman is supposed to the heights, supposed to
be the best player, best player, just the best player.

Speaker 6 (42:08):
That's kind of what the MVP's turned into, right.

Speaker 3 (42:10):
Yeah, But it's not, though, like the best player in
the NFL.

Speaker 2 (42:12):
Quite Like if we if we were to do that,
then Tom Brady would have eighteen MVP awards. Lebron would
have had nine straight MVP awards. The best player is
not always the most valuable player.

Speaker 4 (42:24):
The MVP, in my opinion, NFL doesn't go to the
best player Lamar like I love I love l Jackson,
love him.

Speaker 3 (42:30):
He's two time MVP. I don't know if I don't
think Lamar Jackson is the best player in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (42:34):
It's just his value to his team, his team was
greater than the value of anybody else was to their team.
Like the year Marshall Fulk won it, he was the
best player in the NFL. You get that sometimes, like
the year Peyton Manny won MVP. Peyton man wasn't the
best player in the NFL. He's just the you know,
he's Payton manning for the Colts, and he's the biggest
man to team Legitimately. The question that we have for

(42:55):
this segment right here, right now is the MVP at stake,
and the question is between Seke Kwon Barker and Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 6 (43:01):
Incredible transition, but.

Speaker 4 (43:02):
Does anybody would anybody have them as the best player
in the NFL. I think they're they're high on a
short list, but best Yeah. No, listen, man, you know
what's so interesting about this question.

Speaker 3 (43:13):
We could be talking.

Speaker 4 (43:14):
About four guys, right We could be talking about four guys,
and I think Hurts would be four.

Speaker 3 (43:18):
But Lamar.

Speaker 4 (43:21):
Do him in order them if you have Hurts forth
and do it, do him in order then, because I
think you okay, that's just that's just a strong point.
It is okay. So right now, I would say Hurts
us fourth. I would say a third would be King Henry,
and I would say second. Surprisingly the many would be
l Jackson. And I think Saquon Barkley is in the

(43:41):
clubhouse right now as the leader of the m v
P because we already know what Lamar means to his team,
We already know what Derrick Henry has meant to Baltimore.
But I don't think anybody could have saw what what
what Saquan is doing and what he's done. And when
I was at the game covering the Rams and the Eagles,
I asked Jalen Hurts, what does it feel like to

(44:03):
have a guy like Saquon back there and take such
a load off of You've seen Fresher At this point,
of the year. If you could have saw the look
in that man's face when I asked that question to him,
it was like he didn't have to answer. The look
that he gave the room was life. Man, he goes,
I got a lot more time on that back end.

Speaker 3 (44:21):
I can tell you that right now. So that means
play action. So he gets play action. He's got plenty
of time plus to find this guy all the read
options too.

Speaker 4 (44:30):
I think I think it's Sa Kwan And I'm not
victor victim of the moment and none of that.

Speaker 3 (44:34):
I'm just putting the film on man.

Speaker 4 (44:36):
What he's meant two fifty five, the way he did
that against on Sunday Night football against the Rams, just
what he's meant to that team. I would put him
in the clubhouse. But I think L Jacks is right
behind him. Derek Henry third, Jalen Hurts fourth.

Speaker 5 (44:49):
You know what's an interesting thing though, to bring up
about that With the four guys that you just named,
they're all from two different teams, so it's the Eagles
and Ravens, and they're the top four candidates in your mind,
Can they really be that a valuable to their team
if someone else who's also one of the foremost valuable
players in the league is on their team as well.

Speaker 6 (45:06):
Does that make sense?

Speaker 4 (45:07):
Yeah, yeah, it's brought was in winning MVPs with the heat.
Well it's also to it's the same just to just
go ahead and just mix it up, throw it in
the under and press puree. Same deal with UH with Colorado,
like Shador, Sanders is incredibly important to that team, and
without him, they're they're probably five hundred, right, they probably
have five hundred team maybe below.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
But that doesn't mean he's the best player on the team,
you know what I'm saying. But he's incredibly valuable. You know,
it's very much the same. There's the same fruit to
the same tree.

Speaker 4 (45:36):
Remember Kurt Warner won an MVP, Marshall Fault won an
MVP the year before, same backfield, and that's what Isaiah
Kiem and Isaac Bruce and Tory Hope by the way,
two of those other names I just named Hall of
Fame receivers, so you could throw that out there. But
Peyton mannon one, he had Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison
and Joseph Die and Edrin James the handleball, I mean definitely,

(45:59):
you know, and there were years where.

Speaker 3 (46:00):
People thought, hey, Edww James the MVP. Look what Edward
James does for the coach.

Speaker 4 (46:04):
He has six hundred yards receiving and fifteen hundred yards rushing.

Speaker 3 (46:07):
But who got the MVP? Peyton Man.

Speaker 4 (46:09):
I do think that right now as this dand Sakuon
Barkley should be the lead for MVP. I imagine that
a quarterback will overtake him by the time this is
all said and done, But right now Sakuon should be
the leader in the clubhouse because that Philly team. There
were two NFC collapses last year, yep, all right. One
of them was the Philadelphia Eagles started out ten and one.

Speaker 2 (46:31):
But never felt great. Remember they had I remember I
was banging on at their ten and one and you're
looking at me like, hurts got hurt, Hurts got hurt
their mission field goals, as you know.

Speaker 3 (46:40):
And then just a weird.

Speaker 4 (46:44):
Do we really like Sirianni even though he's got a
great winning percentage? Like a very odd situation with all
of it right, ends up culminating in a playoff game
in Tampa Bay in which they looked like they had
no interest in going like they treated that Tampa That
Tampa game like it was a connection flight from Philly
to Tampa to k.

Speaker 3 (47:03):
They're dragged their team there, drag their team there. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (47:06):
So then we also same division, NFC East, saw a
collapse in the postseason for the Dallas Cowboys. Right give
up half a million yards to Aaron Jones rushing Dak
throws two first half interceptions. They finished the second half better,
but it didn't matter by that.

Speaker 4 (47:22):
Point, as ugly as the first half was thirty one
six of the half or something crazy like that. What's
the biggest difference between the Eagles and the Cowboys right here,
right now, It's what Howie Roseman did in the offseason
going Againstkwon Barker.

Speaker 1 (47:37):
That's it.

Speaker 4 (47:39):
Of sensibly, these are are a lot of the same teams.
I know, they both have new defensive coordinators. Philly made
some new they got they drafted some guys on the
defensive side of the ball, like and Mitchell the cornerbacks,
and they got the guy Zach Bond who was a
Saints rotational linebacker who's playing a ton of great snaps
for them now. But that's the difference right there. It's

(47:59):
the off season team building that the Philly did, and
that's why they're in the position right now. They're basically
in the same spot they were this time last year.
But this time last year, nobody was saying this is
an MVP on the roster at all. Nobody was saying
that it was.

Speaker 2 (48:16):
All about how the Eagles are getting lucky falling through
the cracks this, that, and the third and not paying
attention to details. Saquon Barkley, very much like a great safety,
can eliminate some of your bad corner plays, bad linebacker play.
Saquon Barkley is eliminated all concerns of the Philly offensive line,
almost all concerns about the Philly quarterback play if you
had those concerns, because he's a locked three yards four.

Speaker 4 (48:37):
Yards of cara, yeah, four or five yards of care
with Saquon also brought to I thought he brought like
a running toughness back. Now remember Swift was just a
running back there. Who is uh, you know doing I
guess he's doing well, doing okay, doing good. In Chicago,
he was a high pick. He was drafted by the
Lions in the first or second round.

Speaker 3 (48:55):
Those guys that really.

Speaker 4 (48:56):
Got exactly one of those Georgia guys that we love
the Georgia running backs, but also does too as he
opens up the passing game. So it's not just running
the ball. Because the game we had two fifty five,
he also had almost fifty yards receiving the game, so
he's helping with the passing game along with the rushing
attack that they have.

Speaker 3 (49:14):
Also, speaking about that Philly.

Speaker 4 (49:15):
Defense, you guys have to you know, some of the
numbers I just memorized by covering the team and covering
the game is that that passing defense was horrific last year.
They're the number one passing defense in the league.

Speaker 3 (49:25):
Right now.

Speaker 4 (49:25):
They only give up about a buck seventy something through
the air buck eighty something through there.

Speaker 3 (49:29):
You can't throw the ball on him. Conversely, on Baltimore
you can throw a party exactly. And that defensive beat well,
you know, well.

Speaker 4 (49:38):
That into it will tell Justin Herbert that because he
couldn't throw the ball off, tell Jimmy to let's open
this thing up, and you need some receivers. Yer, La
mccacky is your best guy, okay. And if and you
and I just to flip just the sidebar real quick,
you and I have been banging. I was one of
the first ones I told you guys about Quint Johnson

(49:59):
coming out of tc just put the TCU tape on. Guys,
I just don't see it. I don't I see Dwayne Jerrett.
You're a USC guy. Uh, but I don't know if
you're old enough to remember a receiver by the name
of Dwayne Jerrett who was very similar to him. That
was kind of a one trick pony in college. You
could just say, Okay, when you get to the league,
you better learn how to run routes and do a
little more than what you're doing in college, because in
the NFL, those lanes close up real fast, those corners

(50:20):
stick to you, and those safeties cover the field.

Speaker 3 (50:23):
This is the game.

Speaker 4 (50:24):
There's a few other games on the on the on
the slate tomorrow, but this is the one that you
sit back, man, go get yourself alf saying, which are
a grinder wherever you live or a hogy wherever you
live in the in the in the world, and sit back.
Would you either get a crab cakerambo sauce or for
this game for this game is either a gyro cheesecake

(50:44):
or crab cake and wings, fried rice and mambo sauce.

Speaker 7 (50:49):
For this game.

Speaker 3 (50:50):
Ultimately, though I would have to go ahead and put
my uh if I were to bet on this.

Speaker 2 (50:56):
I'm not betting on this, just to be clear, because
we will do that at the top of the next hour.
Even though little lot of NFL games already played. I
know we've already been four games.

Speaker 4 (51:04):
Man to talk, maybe willing to do two dogs? Yeah,
nothing nothing left on the boat. Now we know we
gotta do our three. Last week was hard. You missed
last week? Last week was hard? Arnie went and eight.
I know it was hard for three atom mcdogs and
oh for five.

Speaker 3 (51:20):
Months, he's terrible. Toby's listening.

Speaker 2 (51:24):
I anchored their show, Arnie and Plank on Sunday the
next day. Okay, and Arnie was was pleased to find
out that he had hit a single pick. He was,
I do God anyway, No, we gotta do our three.

Speaker 5 (51:38):
Man.

Speaker 3 (51:38):
When weeks it's tough, we fight through and make the picks. Man.
I had to go with Lamar Jackson in the Baltimore
Ravens here.

Speaker 4 (51:45):
Well, it's the thing is, it's in Baltimore, so you
have the home field, say Kwan man.

Speaker 3 (51:51):
I just it's.

Speaker 4 (51:53):
I just this kid's gonna make He's gonna make plays.
Derrick Henry does have these games where he can't do
much for about two quarters, two and a half quarters,
and then boom, he busts one. That's just kind of
how Derek Henry's been running this year. And then he's
got games where he's just tearing guys up the whole game.
But I think this Philly defense, this Philly defense is
much better than it was last year. Carter Nakobe Dean,

(52:16):
like as I mentioned, already have the number one pass
defense that back end. They're great on dird down there,
top ten third down conversion defensive team. So they get
off the field, they stop you, they put you in
third and long, they get off the field and then
you get a ball back to Jalen hurt. And also
to remember they also played with Nodvontae Smith in that
RAM game on Sunday night last week, so there's no
Defonte Smith there either, so you.

Speaker 3 (52:35):
Start to get all your weapons back.

Speaker 4 (52:37):
This offense just really hums man when Jalen doesn't have
to show to the load. Saying with Lamarto Lamar, it
is the first year in his career he has not
had to lead the Ravens in Russian, first time in
his career. Coming up next, I think there's a very
special matchup coming up on Sunday that will will The
team on the field I think is way more talented

(52:58):
than their opponent, but on the sidelines, the less talented
team has a coach does laps around the other team's coach.
What wins out coaching or talent in this matchup? Will
break that down. Coming up next Martin White's VJ Husky
Fox Sports Football Saturday.

Speaker 3 (53:15):
Well listen.

Speaker 2 (53:16):
I know that it's Thanksgiving week and there's been football

Speaker 2 (53:41):

the past, you know, with Jeff and Bill Krackenberger, especially.

Speaker 3 (53:59):
Ryan does this thing too. I'm not trying to downplay it.

Speaker 4 (54:01):
But in a short on a short slate, the amount
of props that these guys are gonna have is gonna
be special. Yeah, So tune into that Sunday morning, ten
am Eastern, seven am Pacific.

Speaker 2 (54:14):

Get in touch social media. It's all the same for
me on all the platforms, and the same for VJ

(54:35):
as well. AFC North Upsar go ahead.

Speaker 4 (54:38):
No, no, no, I didn't know we were gonna read
a tweet right now, Umber one, Yeah, there was one
I did want to reach out to read to.

Speaker 3 (54:43):
Somebody talked about Michigan, and there it is, David B. Bell.
I hope you're still listening, Tobody. You know we love you.
I know you're listening all the time.

Speaker 4 (54:50):
He goes both teams and he added this to me,
said both teams should be suspended for postseason competition of
any kind of season.

Speaker 3 (54:57):
Ohio State needs.

Speaker 4 (54:58):
To review their security protocol because they clearly didn't know
what to do. So let's get this real straight, real fast. Okay,
I've seen a lot of angles. I've seen about there's
about twenty to fifteen videos out, fifty to twenty videos
out there people that were on the field.

Speaker 3 (55:12):
This This really was nothing, guys, It really this is
a rivalry game. It's heated.

Speaker 4 (55:18):
You know why Ohio State are sores losers and acted
the way they acted because they know what this meant.
They know why they came there. Think about guys that
came back that could have went and got drafted and
came back to lose this game.

Speaker 3 (55:31):
You gotta caught the interception in the end exactly. You
gotta understand what this meant to those guys.

Speaker 4 (55:38):
So I understand them getting upset that they planted the
flag there and all that, but to start fighting and
taking the flag and running away.

Speaker 3 (55:46):
With it and slamming on the ground doing all of that,
to me was just.

Speaker 4 (55:49):
Extra corny and it showed the culture that's there because,
as I said before, Texas planned their flag right in
the middle of the block and back in September and
now on one Michigan player cried about it.

Speaker 3 (56:02):
We got our asses kicked today. This is what happens
in college football.

Speaker 4 (56:06):
This is what happens when you have young grown men
and testostero and adrenaline and passion and energy and heat
it heat it insides.

Speaker 3 (56:14):
Okay, this is what the hell happens. Man For people
that's like, oh my god, they're so classless. They won
the game. Why did you have to do Baker Mayfield
did it?

Speaker 4 (56:24):
Do you guys not remember Baker Manfield took that Oklahoma
flag and stuck it in the middle of.

Speaker 3 (56:29):
Bat Oh, Texas did it to Michigan this year.

Speaker 4 (56:33):
It's a year just in Mber this year. I didn't
hear nobody call it Texas class list. No, you don't
suspend people now as far as the security team.

Speaker 3 (56:40):
Goes funny thing is go ahead, just beend Michigan from
postseason plays right.

Speaker 4 (56:45):
Exactly like we don't like we want to go to
the pinch to the new era Pinch Strike Bowl in
Yankee Stadium. But another thing about the security and this
is just the realness of it that people just don't understand.
On want to make these officers, these these workers, guys,
they're all.

Speaker 3 (56:58):
In Columbus, they're allm Columbus.

Speaker 4 (57:00):
You think that they you think that they were there
really pushing Go go back and watch the videos. What
players are they pushing back?

Speaker 3 (57:06):
More? Where did they start spraying mace? First?

Speaker 4 (57:08):
They started spraying mace at the Michigan players. Okay, so
the security don't need to be trained. They knew exactly
what they were doing. You have Ohio State players grabbing
the equipment. Guys, it's slamming them on the ground for Michigan.
So I had nothing to do with ud as they're
showing the video right now, there's literally Ohio State players
pushing Michigan like workers are. And whether they're coaches, assistants

(57:30):
or whatever on the sideline, nobody needs to be suspended.

Speaker 3 (57:33):
Guys. This is the rivalry. It's heated.

Speaker 4 (57:35):
Punches got thrown, people got pushed. It doesn't matter. It's okay,
it's over. We're moving on to the next week. This
happens all the time in this rivalry.

Speaker 3 (57:44):
It's not new. Let's move on to the NFL.

Speaker 4 (57:47):
Because I was setting it up that Cincinnati Bengals to
me offensively, especially more talented than the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Speaker 3 (57:55):
Were you listening to the show yesterday? This sounds like
go ahead though, this is a good question, man, but
I felt like, yeah, go go, go go.

Speaker 4 (58:01):
Now, the Pittsburgh Steelers, while nothing, is not necessarily as
talented as the Cincinnati Bengals. To me, the coaching comparison here,
Sharon Moore to Ryan Dayton, I'm just guys, the coach
in comparison though, is uh it is the top floor
to the basement. When you consider Mike Tomlin and his

(58:23):
ability and his record and his track record and his
ability to just draw juice from a stone, it feels
like draw blood from a stone out of that Steelers roster.
Do you think that this Zach Taylor is he able
to hang in the a FC North Because the other thing, too,
is the fancy's pretty good himself. It's funny you bring
this question up, and this is on the rundown because

(58:45):
already and I did a segment yesterday about what coaches
could be fired next after Matt Eberflus, and we had
a list of teams. I had about three or four guys.
One of my teams was the Cincinnati Bengals. Yeah, one
of my teams with the Cincinnati Bengals. If listen, if
they say they just fall apart, there.

Speaker 3 (58:59):
Would a four seven right now, four four and seven. Well,
you say fall apart, they've been hanging on by three.
I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (59:05):
So if they fall apart going into the to the
end of the season, right why not have a discussion
of hey, do we need to get a do we
need to get a different guy in here? Because you're
you're kind of wasted. I don't like the phrase wasting
the player, but you're all.

Speaker 3 (59:19):
Kind of wasting Borrow right now.

Speaker 4 (59:21):
And he's young, he's already faced some injuries. He's been
healthy this year. He's got through this far this season.

Speaker 3 (59:25):
But if you can't get to the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (59:28):
This year, think about it. Since they won the super Bowl,
I mean got to the Super Bowl. Since they got
to the Super Bowl, they're going backwards, guys, They're going backwards.
They got back to another AFC championship game. Then it
was a divisional game, then it was a wildcard game.
Now it's going to be out of the playoffs. They're
going backwards. We're going backwards. I think that's a topic
that no one's touched and talked about the coach. No
one's touch. Do you have to start to have some

(59:50):
discussions about whether you want to bring back Zach Taylor?

Speaker 3 (59:54):
Is bellet?

Speaker 4 (59:55):
Would Belichick be interested? Would you want to talk there?
You know Ben Johnson, the offensive coordinator from the Detroit Liane,
would you want to kind of? But you got to
get somebody in there that's gonna be able to produce
with this team and put him together. He's supposed to
be a defensive guy. Their defense stinks, but the offense
seven's fine, though, Zach Taylor's Offensiveuy, I'm sorry, offensive guy,
but he did I thought, I'm sorry. I thought he
coached on the defensive side of the ball At one
point I looking up. But the thing that is the

(01:00:17):
thing that bothers me the most out of all this
is there's once you become the head coach, there's no
longer there should be I should say, no longer conversation
of oh, is he an offensive guy? Is he a
defensive guy?

Speaker 3 (01:00:32):
He's in charge? You hate that he's in charge. There
should be no more conversation, all, well, you know you
gotta have it off that. No, he's in charge, he's
Dan Campbell at offensive coaching defensive coach. I don't damn know.
Oh I know, is he hires good assistance.

Speaker 4 (01:00:46):
He played tight end, but he feels like he feels
like more of a defensive guy even though he played
tight end though, Right.

Speaker 5 (01:00:50):
But.

Speaker 4 (01:00:53):
Tomlin was you know, twenty years ago. Sure, he was
a defensive coordinator at Minnesota. But today, in today's day
and age, I think he's got a strategy to win
football game that he implements. Ady Reid, Is he a
defensive head coach? Because wall I see out of Kansas
City right now is we're.

Speaker 2 (01:01:10):
Gonna limit turnovers, We're gonna keep the ball, we're gonna
play good defense, and we're gonna beat.

Speaker 3 (01:01:16):
You nineteen to fourteen. But that's how Kansas City. It's
Andy Reid's the defensive coach. No, no, But he's got spags.

Speaker 4 (01:01:22):
He's not a defensive coach, but he's got SPI's got
one of the best defensive coordinators in football.

Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
The point of the matter is head coach, no, no, no,
hire the right person. Matt Eberfluss would be the coach
in Chicago today if he hadn't had eight assistants fired
in two years.

Speaker 4 (01:01:37):
Offensive coordinators get fired too. That's another thing with Pittsburgh
though you mentioned Tomlin. Tomlin's a defensive guy. That's why
they had offensive problems with with being towards the end,
and they didn't fall on him. It fell on the
offensive coordinator. No one blamed Mike Tomlin for that. People
blame the offensive coordator. I get what you're saying, where
you want your head coach to be more of the CEO, right,
is that kind of what I'm picking up from you.

(01:01:57):
You want the head coach increasingly more and more and
more be coming out on coaches that are adamant that
they have to call plays.

Speaker 2 (01:02:07):
Really, I think that your coach calling play should be
a curveball if your fastball is not working. Okay, A
like Dan Campbell wasn't working with UH. Forget that he
used to coach the Chargers.

Speaker 9 (01:02:20):
UH.

Speaker 4 (01:02:21):
He used the Black coaches Chargers before running back Any
used to be the head coach.

Speaker 2 (01:02:26):
He was offensive corded for the wasn't working. Dan Campbell said,
I'm gonna step in.

Speaker 3 (01:02:30):
I'm a call place. Then the next Sea then he
promotes Ben Jons.

Speaker 4 (01:02:35):
I think that's something that you step in and make
a move to do that, unless you are Kyle Shanahan
where you showed you have incredible success doing it right.

Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
You've seen it's been successful this entire time. But like
if I'm Mike McDaniel and Miami, like, no, I'm gonna
I gotta manage this team, right. There's something like Matt
ebnflus needed to manage the team right. He was calling defense.
You need to make and it's the entirety of this team.

Speaker 4 (01:03:02):
And that's why you don't end up not calling time
out with thirty seconds down, collecting the clock to take
down to six.

Speaker 3 (01:03:07):
I will say this really fast.

Speaker 4 (01:03:08):
If you are a defensive minded head coach, I don't
mind you having a defensive coordinator call the place. I
will say that I don't think a head coach should
be calling the defensive plays, but I don't mind a
head coach calling the offensive place. I know, I know
that sounds weird to some people, but I don't mind
Timin doesn't call the place right. I don't think Mike exactly,
but he's a defensive minded coach, but he has a

(01:03:29):
defensive coordinator called the defensive plays.

Speaker 2 (01:03:31):
You hire people, you empower people, You go down and
you tell your defensive coordinator, hey, uh, you know I
need a blitz on third down. Here, you go, tell
your offensive coordinator get me two first downs on this drive,
like you.

Speaker 4 (01:03:43):
But I don't think there's a man, in fact offensive
head coach Martin that doesn't call the plays. I think
most offensive minded head coaches call the plays. I would say,
let's just say, if there's sixteen of them in the league,
I bet you twelve of them.

Speaker 3 (01:03:55):
Call the place. I have to think about it.

Speaker 4 (01:03:57):
Yeah, yeah, I'm coming, But I also I'm just I'm
not play a Giant for the New York Giants, right.
They think he gave it up this year, But in general,
I don't think that it's the best. I don't think
it's the best use of game day operations if I'm
the head coach, I really don't. Just the connection with
the quarterback is so important, though you kind of want that.
Does Jim cop place who I don't think hardball cold plays?

Speaker 3 (01:04:19):
No Roman? Greg Roman. But he's got Greg Roman.

Speaker 1 (01:04:23):
He hired it.

Speaker 3 (01:04:24):
I know, I know.

Speaker 4 (01:04:26):
It's not like Greg Roman just popped up in the
sky like he hired it, you know. And that's the point,
like hire somebody, empower them to do it that they
can't get the job done.

Speaker 3 (01:04:35):
Get him out of it.

Speaker 2 (01:04:36):
The Harball is hip and hit with his quarterback though,
but he doesn't call the play. I'm not saying with
his I'm not saying that you for some reason need
to be apart from them. I'm just saying during the game,
you probably have a little like the individual minutia of
down to down, you probably have a bigger pictured, a
bigger fish fraud. Now, speaking of guys who are just excellent,

(01:04:56):
that's just stieve t Segre. He gets shy man. You
can't get ste like Harball.

Speaker 4 (01:05:01):
No, because those like Harvey he's never gonna get He's
never gonna take the credit.

Speaker 3 (01:05:04):
How great he yah see, you'd be like, there's no
there's no tough update acres, just tough one. That that
was Harbor. You have no such a tough coaches, only
tough players.

Speaker 7 (01:05:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (01:05:15):
On the conversation, and you could go either way and
find success. You'll play calling or not. But remember many
a RAMS game where the defense is on the field
during the game and Sean mcvay's on the bench going
over the next play.

Speaker 3 (01:05:29):
Calls exactly like you might want it.

Speaker 9 (01:05:31):
He's had success, he's a good coach.

Speaker 3 (01:05:33):
But it's an odd seven might matter. Yeah, but he
calls the offensive plays there though correct. Doesn't. McVeigh call
the plays.

Speaker 9 (01:05:40):
Absolutely and will remember it fifteen years from now in
order there it is.

Speaker 3 (01:05:44):
He's a savant, YEA.

Speaker 9 (01:05:45):
Let's get to college football is Number one Oregon leads
twenty eight fourteen at the half against the Washington Huskies.
Dylan Gabriel close to one hundred and fifty yards passing
in the first half. Ducks with four touchdown runs, two
by Jordan James. Number three Texas seventeen nothing at Texas
A and M at the half winner. This one goes
to the SEC championship game against Georgia in Atlanta. For Texas,

(01:06:09):
arch Manning came off the bench for a fifteen yard
touchdown run late first quarter. Second quarter, quinn Ewers playing
through the bad ankle with a touchdown pass, also halftime
on Fox TV. Iowa State at home leeds Kansas State
twenty four to fourteen. Apparently Arizona State has now officially
qualified for the Big twelve Championship game. Sixteenth ranked ASU

(01:06:29):
one easily at Arizona today forty nine to seven. Number
twenty two UNLV trying to get up to the Boise Idaho. Yeah,
it's Boise hosting the Mountain West Championship game next Friday night.
UNLV up twenty four to seven at the half against
Nevada and in the third quarter. It's number ten Indiana
over lowly Purdue thirty eight nothing. This will put Purdue

(01:06:51):
at one and eleven for the season. No bowl game,
I believe. Michigan won at number two Ohio State thirteen
to ten on a short field goal in the final minute.
Chigin's beating them four straight years. Number four Penn State
goes to the Big Ten championship game against Oregon next
Saturday night. Penn State over Maryland forty four to seven.
Maryland scored a touchdown on its first offensive play and

(01:07:12):
had no points the rest of the game. Number five
Notre Dame won at USC forty nine thirty five the
Irish with two pick sixes in the last four minutes
from ninety nine yards and another from one hundred yards.
USC with late TD pass for the final score. Syracuse
at home, trailed twenty one nothing in the second quarter
and still beat number six Miami forty two thirty eight.

(01:07:33):
Kyle McCord with three touchdown passes in victory on this day,
Ohio State lost at home McCord with three hundred eighty
yards through the air, So Clemson not Miami, goes to
the ACC title game against SMU next Saturday night. Ninth
ranked SMU thirty eight six winners over cal. Clemson lost
at home against South Carolina today seventeen to fourteen on

(01:07:53):
a twenty yard touchdown run which just over a minute left.
Victories for Tennessee and Alabama. Wins for Missouri and Illinois
in the NBA Philadelphia in Atlanta with victories and Washington
has lost thirteen games in a row. They're losing seventy
eight seventy one at Milwaukee mid third quarter. In college
hoops number six, Houston has lost in overtime in Vegas

(01:08:15):
against San Diego State seventy three seventy a tournament third
place game there, and the Arizona Cardinals gave running back
James Connor a two year extension.

Speaker 2 (01:08:23):
Back to you thanks Steve Martin and bj Coming to
you live from the tire rack dot Com Studio has
got a game of Who You Got coming up in
just a moment here, But BJA, I wanted to do
something different seeing as it's everybody's schedules out of whack.

Speaker 3 (01:08:35):
To me, it's been Saturday five days in a row.
I'm not sure exactly what day it is.

Speaker 2 (01:08:38):
After Wednesday of Thanksgiving, we saw all types of football
being played, so we don't have a full slate of
games to recap. So I want to go ahead and
do a little NFL blitz here, Thanksgiving Football Blitz.

Speaker 3 (01:08:50):
Thanks let's go ahead and get it started.

Speaker 5 (01:08:53):
All right, I come to you, gentlemen, with six football
related questions from the past few days. Okay, I'm just
gonna get your opinions on all of that. Number One,
Kansas City beat the Raiders nineteen to seventeen after recovering
a botch snap with Vegas infield goal range. That improved
Kansas City's record to eleven and one. My question though,
is are the Chiefs actually good or are they just lucky?

Speaker 3 (01:09:14):
They are good? They are good. They are actually good.

Speaker 4 (01:09:18):
And part of the reason why everybody else folds is
because everybody else knows it.

Speaker 2 (01:09:23):
They're not gonna beat themselves. And that's why you see
every other team in the NFL beating themselves on the
way to a Chiefs victor.

Speaker 4 (01:09:30):
Yeah, I'm gona go with my partner right there. This
is what championship teams doing. I don't understand how they
get knocked for this. For winning close games. I think
something like an NFL record. They said, fourteen consecutive like
one possession games that they have won.

Speaker 3 (01:09:44):
That's not luck, guys.

Speaker 4 (01:09:45):
That's called knowing what to do when it's time to
do what you're supposed to do to win football games.
They're not lucky. The Kansas City Chiefs are good. Two
time back to back Super Bowl champions.

Speaker 3 (01:09:57):
That means you good.

Speaker 6 (01:09:58):
They just find ways to win.

Speaker 3 (01:09:59):
Agreed.

Speaker 5 (01:10:00):
Next up, the Bears lost to the Lions twenty three
to twenty on some confusing game management that ultimately costs
Matt Eberflus his job. So the question is are the
Bears going to ruin Caleb Williams.

Speaker 3 (01:10:11):
We are halfway there. We are halfway there.

Speaker 2 (01:10:14):
This is the third time Chicago drafted a quarterback then
fired a coach without that quarterback playing its second consecutive season.

Speaker 3 (01:10:21):
All right, you've got to knock this highre out of
the park.

Speaker 4 (01:10:24):
Should have been hardball maybe last year, but you gotta
get that type of guy in the building.

Speaker 3 (01:10:29):
Otherwise you're looking at Cincinnati light.

Speaker 4 (01:10:33):
I don't think that they're ruining Caleb because I just
don't think he's as generational as he was touted out
to be. I think he could be a very good
quarterback and maybe a great quarterback in the NFL, but
great doesn't mean generational. Generational and great are two different things.
The adjective that's been used about him is generational. He
and then a clip came out today where he admitted
that he either wanted to call it time out or

(01:10:55):
didn't want to contact or change the player or something.

Speaker 3 (01:10:57):
So it was on and I said, this just the layer.

Speaker 4 (01:10:58):
It was on everybody, guys, yesterday, Thursday's game was on
everybody with Chicago went just ibra flues. It was just
time to fire him. So I don't think they're ruining him.
I think they're just a bad run franchise.

Speaker 3 (01:11:09):
All right. Moving over to college football for this one.

Speaker 5 (01:11:12):
With Miami and Ohio State both losing huge, costly games today,
as we've talked about the two highest paid transfer quarterbacks.

Speaker 6 (01:11:21):
Excuse me, have come up short this year. What do
you think this means for college football?

Speaker 2 (01:11:24):
I think it means recruit, recruit, recruit, unless your name
is Deon Sanders, right. I don't think college football has
changed just as much as we all think it.

Speaker 4 (01:11:33):
As I went, marn recruit your home talent, d to
portal for other big time main positions that you need,
but grow your hometown quarterback and then go win national
championships like Michigan did with JJ McCarthy last year.

Speaker 5 (01:11:47):
Colorado pounded Oklahoma State fifty two to nothing yesterday. If
they somehow squeak into the playoffs after all this, how
much of a shot do you guys give them.

Speaker 3 (01:11:56):
I'll tell you what.

Speaker 2 (01:11:57):
When you got the best quarterback in the nation, and
to me, the best player in the nation, I gotta
give you at least a thirty percent shot to beat anybody.
I'm gonna go hired in thirty percent.

Speaker 4 (01:12:07):
If the Colorado Buffaloes get into the playoffs, I'm giving
them a sixty five percent chance to win because who else,
who else looks unbeatable? Tell me the team that looks unbeatable.
Nobody looks unbeatable. And like mart said, best quarterback, best player.
I'll put my money there, sixty five percent chance to

(01:12:27):
win it all.

Speaker 3 (01:12:28):
Love it.

Speaker 5 (01:12:29):
Jumping back over to NFL really quick. The Dolphins vj
Your Dolphins have lost their last twelve games in forty
degree weather or lower, and Mike McDaniel is now three
and fourteen as a head coach in games against teams
that are over five hundred.

Speaker 6 (01:12:42):
So do you guys think this is something or nothing?

Speaker 2 (01:12:45):
It's absolutely something to me, because here's the deal. It
wouldn't be if Miami was the one seed or the
two seed. But if this team's able to sneak into
the playoffs, you're gonna have to see Buffalo, Kansas City, Baltimore,
wherever it is. It's gonna be cold goal snow, Pittsburgh.
This is definitely something.

Speaker 4 (01:13:03):
Yeah, this is definitely something, and they need to fix
this and figure this out. But like Martin said, you
gotta win the division. You gotta get a whole playoff
game at least to win the wildcard game and then
go on the road. Division at least you can say, hey,
we won a playoff game. But it didn't help. With
Oos missing five of the first six games, that did
not help when you don't have your quarterback, and that's
what set them back. I didn't have them to win
the game things given night. It was a question mark

(01:13:25):
game for me, just like the Texas game in twos.
I think they can win the rest of the games,
but those two games are the question mark games that
I had. This is something they gotta fix it.

Speaker 6 (01:13:32):
It's true.

Speaker 5 (01:13:32):
It is worth noting that two has been injured for
a lot of those games, so worth noting anyway, last one,
jumping back over to college, Georgia beat Georgia Tech forty
four to forty two last night. It took eight overtimes
to get that done, which was the second longest game
in FBS history.

Speaker 6 (01:13:47):
The longest was nine overtimes to those wondering.

Speaker 5 (01:13:49):
So the question is do you think this narrow victory
ultimately helps or hurts Georgia in the grand scheme.

Speaker 3 (01:13:54):
It ultimately helps.

Speaker 2 (01:13:55):
Because losing it would have been catastrophic, Like there's no
way that a loss could benefit Georgia in this scenario.
Here's one thing, though, if we're gonna do this dumb
ping pong back and forth.

Speaker 4 (01:14:05):
Snip snap, snip, snap, snip snap to a point conversions,
we gotta justin we gotta change how we call the
longest games in college football, because there were games that
were longer in time. I watched Michigan beat Illinois sixty
nine to sixty four once. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,

(01:14:27):
and no I'm gonna go fifty to fifty on this
one with Georgia just but they got lucky. It's a
good thing they won and did what they did last night,
because today Clemson falls, Ohio falls, Miami falls. So what
have been katastropha if they had a loss last night,
not a catastrop excuse me, it would have been bad,
but not catastropha because all those other teams did lose too.

Speaker 3 (01:14:45):
Being that day won, Georgia's into the playoffs. I love
NFL films music.

Speaker 4 (01:14:50):
It's I love it, dude, It's It's God. I'm in
the trance right now, I promise you too. Like thinking
about this. This is part of the reason why the
NFL is so the one I like so successful. It's
called the Rambling Man from Yeah, and this is the
old the old video and they're running.

Speaker 3 (01:15:04):
In slow motion.

Speaker 6 (01:15:05):
It reminds me the Incredibles and the Incredibles music.

Speaker 4 (01:15:09):
Yeah, very much, probably borrowed from it. Coming up next,
we'll play a game of.

Speaker 3 (01:15:13):
Who you Got Cardinals versus Vikings edition Martin the VJA
out the Fox Sports Football Saturday.

Speaker 2 (01:15:21):
We don't have enough time to truly give this enough time,
So Mary you got to bring this back. Absolutely. Martin
and VJ com with you a lot from the Tirack
dot com studios. Come on, come on, by the way,
hit us up on Twitter, hit us up on social
media for your two cents. I'm at Martin wise Vjay's
at the Big Vanilla Funny. Let's go ahead now and
play a quick.

Speaker 3 (01:15:41):
Game of who you Got?

Speaker 5 (01:15:42):
All right, brand new round of who you Got? We
missed it last week with Martin out. Glad to have
you back, Martin, so we're gonna gonna do it today.
So Cardinals Versus Vikings Edition is what we're doing. Right,
Let's go again, Just to jog the listener's memories for
how this game works. Every clue is supposed to make
it a little bit easier to guess who I'm thinking of.
It's a player, coach, someone who has summoned to do
with either the Cardinals or the Vikings.

Speaker 6 (01:16:04):
Let's jump in first clue. This guy was born and
raised in Maryland.

Speaker 3 (01:16:10):
I d m V my area.

Speaker 2 (01:16:14):
I that was supposed to give me the answer brought
one broadest one. Yeah, born and raised in Maryland. The
only person who's coming to mind, I was Caleb Williams.

Speaker 3 (01:16:22):
No, no, goodness, gracious man, I don't know my Brooks
all right.

Speaker 6 (01:16:28):
No, he was a five star.

Speaker 5 (01:16:30):
He was a five star recruit out of high school
and played college football locally.

Speaker 6 (01:16:34):
At the University of Maryland Terrapins.

Speaker 3 (01:16:38):
Digs.

Speaker 6 (01:16:39):
That's right, that's.

Speaker 3 (01:16:42):
Playing mary Where winners today? Where winners the day.

Speaker 6 (01:16:49):
I do have another one if we wanted to do it.

Speaker 1 (01:16:52):
Too many cans.

Speaker 4 (01:16:53):
He didn't mess up. It's the usual today. It's the
it's the husky, handsome juice.

Speaker 3 (01:16:58):
It's money. It's money making more white left today. But
I mean with the timing, it was like.

Speaker 5 (01:17:08):
That was to give us at the rest of the
clues though, this is how they were gonna go. He
was a fifth round pick for one of these teams.
He's a four time Pro bowler, two time All Pro,
but never for the team that drafted him. He led
the league in receptions and receiving yards in twenty twenty.
He's in the top ten career receiving yards for two

(01:17:28):
separate franchises. He has a younger brother in the NFL,
and he holds the Bills franchise record for receiving yard
and guess what.

Speaker 3 (01:17:35):
Guess what, and you got guess what.

Speaker 4 (01:17:37):
We didn't need all of that, just like Michigan didn't
need a bunch of beat Ohio State today.

Speaker 3 (01:17:41):
Next one, let's go. Next one forward passes.

Speaker 5 (01:17:45):
All right, So this is Lions Bears theme. So all
these dudes from that game that happened on Thursday, Thanksgiving.
So first clue this guy was a second round draft
pick of one of these two teams.

Speaker 3 (01:17:56):
Uh the Porta No, Peanuts Hillman.

Speaker 4 (01:18:01):
No.

Speaker 6 (01:18:01):
Next he played college football at Mississippi State.

Speaker 3 (01:18:05):
Oh oh, Darius Slay.

Speaker 6 (01:18:07):
Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 3 (01:18:10):
No, No, you're no bro. It's don't take it no,
don't take it that way. Today it's the.

Speaker 4 (01:18:14):
Michigan you we got two give us as I kill you.

Speaker 5 (01:18:22):
I am thinking of a player right now. I have
no clues, no context. I'm thinking of a player Michigan.

Speaker 3 (01:18:28):
Juju.

Speaker 6 (01:18:29):
Give you the player that I'm thinking of.

Speaker 1 (01:18:30):
Go.

Speaker 3 (01:18:31):
Do you have a game or no?

Speaker 4 (01:18:33):
That right?

Speaker 3 (01:18:33):
Howards? Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 1 (01:18:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:18:38):
Play the fight song, Mary that don't play don't play
DJ call it again, man, that is the most sweetest
music in the world.

Speaker 3 (01:18:49):
Right now, you see what happens. Guys. By the way,
we have Richmond Webborn last night.

Speaker 4 (01:18:55):
I got Richmond Webb to come on and do twenty
minutes with us last night night and mich Richmond Webb
told the world.

Speaker 3 (01:19:00):
I said, you know, I feel like I'm part of
my teams.

Speaker 4 (01:19:03):
He said, VJ. You are and will forever be part
of the Miami Dolphins. When the finalist of the Football
Hall of Fame that play for Miami tells me that
I'm part of the Dolphins forever than I am. In
this past few weeks, I talked to Hassan Askins, I've
talked to Brandon Graham.

Speaker 3 (01:19:19):
I've talked to Blake Corp.

Speaker 4 (01:19:20):
I was in locker rooms talking to the NFL players
that played in Michigan, and I asked them all what
we gonna do in the game.

Speaker 3 (01:19:26):
They all looked at me and said, we're gonna go
beat that ass. VJ. Yes, sir, I'm feeling it today.

Speaker 4 (01:19:35):
And with that, let's see if we keep this hot
streak going at Toomas Dolls the NFL picks coming up next.

Speaker 3 (01:19:40):
Martin White's VJ. Husky Fox Sports Football Saturday.

Speaker 1 (01:19:46):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:19:49):
That's why we're broadcasting live from the tire Rack dot
Com Studios. TI raight dot com will help you get
there with an unmatched election, fast free shipping, free legs
of protection, and over.

Speaker 3 (01:19:58):
Ten thousand I about saying recommend it, recommend it. There
we go.

Speaker 4 (01:20:03):
You ever write something and read it at the same
time as you're trying to I memorized it now, I.

Speaker 2 (01:20:09):
Literally writing out whoops, whoops, all right first for second
of the day.

Speaker 4 (01:20:17):
That would and I almost got the wrapper. Radio one memorized,
almost got the wrapper. Radio one memorizes. This is a
little longer, but there will be a test at the end. Hope,
shut up. Let's go what are we doing?

Speaker 3 (01:20:28):
Let's go what are we doing? Let's go ahead to
the atomic dogs. Yeah, okay, that's right.

Speaker 4 (01:20:34):
We do it every time, this every time, every week
at this time ten o'clock Eastern, seven o'clock Pacific.

Speaker 2 (01:20:40):
We go ahead, trying to make it a little bit
of money. Now, there have been three games played already
in the NFL. But you know what, don't be never fear.
We've still got you. We'll still take care of it.
Do you have any updated records over there, my friend?

Speaker 5 (01:20:52):
Yeah, so you both you both successfully picked one underdog
last week, although Arnie was zero and three. I did
get I did get Martin's underdog picks off the air,
so you both got one at so you know it's
still still uh the overall scores remain the same with
Martin thirteen VJ sixteen, So the same difference there.

Speaker 4 (01:21:08):
Oh right, yeah, I ended up having, you know, I
have to do a blazing five at work, so it
was three and two there.

Speaker 3 (01:21:15):
Oh god, he's working with Colin. It's so bad. That's
actually pretty dope for you, Mega. I wasn't saying it
like that.

Speaker 2 (01:21:19):
I was there's somewhere where the picks were documented, but
let's go ahead and document your Yes, first atomic dog.

Speaker 4 (01:21:27):
My first one's very easy for me, man, I'm gonna
pull a mart Give me a Mike Tomlin on a
something something something with a something something something with Mike Tomlin.
Give me Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers to go
into Cincinnati and pretty much in the Cincinnati Bengals record
there underdog by three points tomorrow. I love that number
for them. They'll go in there and they're definitely gonna
cover because this is going to be a tight game.

(01:21:47):
It's a division game, and they played well in dirty
and nasty division games.

Speaker 3 (01:21:51):
Low scoring that over under.

Speaker 4 (01:21:53):
Guys, take the under on this like I try to
tell you guys to do with the Ravens and the
Steelers a few weeks ago. This is going to be
a fistfight under that forty five, with that forty five,
forty six and a half. Give me the Steelers. Give
me the under for my first doll right right, right.

Speaker 3 (01:22:07):
So the words you were looking for, VJ. Is Mike
Tomlin in the division has an underdoday. You go, that's
a retirement strategy.

Speaker 2 (01:22:16):
All right, Hold on a second, go ahead, let me
go ahead, give me Mike Tomlins outright.

Speaker 3 (01:22:21):
Cincinnati Bengals. Have you seen that defense and that Pittsburgh defense? TJ.
Watt meet Joe Burrow. That's what it sounds like.

Speaker 4 (01:22:29):
Pittsburgh Steelers, my second one man. This team is cast
in for me a few times. I'm going with them again.
I'm going with Martin squad. Give me them Saints tomorrow,
Fellas at home. They are a two point underdog with
the Rams coming in and what I just saw covering
the Rams up closing personal a week ago, this team's
gonna be able to move the football. It's a road game.

(01:22:51):
They're still playing for trying to win that division over
there for the New Orleans Saints.

Speaker 3 (01:22:55):
They got an interim coach in there, Rizzie. Rizzy's been
playing a yo big there, go make me look good
for the third time. I pickedure as an underdog. Twice.
You cast it for me both times. Let's make it
thrust baby.

Speaker 4 (01:23:06):
Give me the Saints at home two and a half
point under dog for my second dog.

Speaker 3 (01:23:13):
And you know what, the dogs are gonna be barking
as you think about it. Those Thursday games. We have
only one underdog.

Speaker 2 (01:23:18):
Cover and that was exactly exactly Oh man, people's parlays
are gonna be demolished. I actually don't really love this pick.
I don't want to make it, but I feel obligated,
so I feel forced to. I mean, the Atlanta Falcons
plus two and a half against the Los Angeles Chargers.
I don't think that LA has shown the offense to
be able to keep up with I know Kirk Cousins

(01:23:40):
has not moved one bit, but Bijon Robinson out there,
Drake London, even a little bit of Kyle Pitts. What yeah,
give me the Falcons in this offense in the game
in which I don't think the Charge.

Speaker 4 (01:23:50):
The Falcons have terrible defense. I don't know if the
Chargers will scoring them. Though I don't score a ton
of point, I don't know if the Falcons will scoring either.
The Charge is number one point differential and number one
scoring defense in the NFL. For my third and final dog,
the biggest game of the weekend, You know what, man,
we just said that he leaves right now in the MVP,
So why wouldn't I take him on the road. And
I've seen the Ravens go on the road and win

(01:24:11):
a big game and then go home and lay and a.
I don't think this is an eight we just passed
days given, but I'm looking for fourth of July firewards.
Give me the over two and the fifty one and
a half points are gonna be scoring plenty of this game.

Speaker 3 (01:24:21):
But give me the Philadelphia Eagles to go on the
road and take.

Speaker 4 (01:24:26):
Out the Baltimore Ravens and have us condosanay.

Speaker 3 (01:24:29):
And Baltimore again.

Speaker 4 (01:24:30):
But looking at that NFC East and like, yeah, Washington,
you looked a little cute for a little bit. But
the Eagles are back in taking back control of this division.
Give me the Eagles on the road and craft k
Town tomorrow on that plus three for my last final doll.
I tell you right now, my entire being and body
as a gambler, wants to lay money on the New

(01:24:52):
York Jets money line.

Speaker 2 (01:24:54):
Well I have, but the brain and me won't let me.
Like if my brain little bit will not let me.
But when I look at this line, it's like, oh this,
this smells like this this. If it looks like it,
if it smells like it's it probably is. That's a
fishy line. I'll go ahead and give me the Arizona Cars.

Speaker 3 (01:25:10):
Was up, been with them all years.

Speaker 4 (01:25:11):
Go ahead, seven and five, win this division and end
up hosting the Minnesota Vikings in a playoff game.

Speaker 3 (01:25:18):
Going forward, I'll take Kyler Murray meet me. Wow, good
job Mary.

Speaker 5 (01:25:28):
All right, Moving into picks, We're gonna start with the
forty nine Ers versus the Buffalo Bills.

Speaker 6 (01:25:33):
Bills are favored by six. What do you guys think?

Speaker 3 (01:25:36):
This is easy for me?

Speaker 4 (01:25:37):
Man? A lot of snow out there is expected. It
has already been falling and supposed to be snowing again tomorrow.
The Niners year has done.

Speaker 3 (01:25:43):
Guys.

Speaker 4 (01:25:43):
The Super Bowl hangover as is real as the Madden
curse was from ninety seven until the later twenty ten
era when it kind of went away. Then Super Bowl
curse is real. They're not good this year. They don't
have guys. I think Trent's out again. Their big dogs
haven't been out. Christian mccaffree has kind of been slowed
by injury, not Conda, but he was out for a
long time this year and since he's been back, he

(01:26:04):
just hasn't been the same player on the road. Buffalo's
Connor Roland right now, give me the Bills and that's
an easy cover for me.

Speaker 3 (01:26:09):
Six points. Say that went by a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:26:12):
In today's edition of Football, players are nothing like us.
Fred Warner has been playing on a fractured ankle since
Week four. Geez, it's week thirteen. Wheeze, it's gonna be
cold as hell. There's gonna be a ton of snow.
And that's just one more forty nine ers injury. Give
me Buffalo, Buffo. I'll take Buffalo to cover easy, all right.

Speaker 5 (01:26:29):
Next up, the Denver Broncos are favored by six points
over the Cleveland Browns.

Speaker 6 (01:26:33):
That's the Monday night football game this week. What do
you guys think?

Speaker 4 (01:26:35):
I know exactly what I'm thinking, all right, no wahen
Maar's going And I went with the Broncos two straight
weeks and they cashed it for me.

Speaker 3 (01:26:41):
But I got an infinity inside about my man.

Speaker 4 (01:26:44):
Famous Jamis aka crab Legs Winston.

Speaker 3 (01:26:47):
This is my guy. And they played defense. They night defense,
still travels. This is just the game that Denver.

Speaker 4 (01:26:55):
Looks like they should win and they don't at home.
This is big, and they got some big games coming up.
They got the Charges and they got the Chiefs still
coming up right here. I think Denver drops this game.
Give me the Browns here, especially this point spread. I
think the Browns covered is definitely they could win this game,
but they're definitely gonna cover it. This give me the
Browns to cover, you know, save for a block field

(01:27:17):
goal that never be on like a five game winning
streak right now, you know, the only undfeated quarterback against
the spread.

Speaker 3 (01:27:23):
So far.

Speaker 2 (01:27:24):
As a favorite, bow Knicks, I'm riding with bow Knicks.
Give me bow Knicks. He's got less letters in his
whole name than I do with my first name.

Speaker 3 (01:27:33):
Bow Knicks believer. Wow, Okay, I know what that reference
is from? Nice job?

Speaker 8 (01:27:41):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (01:27:41):
Is that from something I just seen it on social media.

Speaker 3 (01:27:43):
Wow yeah, Bo Dallas, he was a pro wrestler. There
you go.

Speaker 6 (01:27:48):
Anyway.

Speaker 5 (01:27:49):
Next up, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are facing off against
the newly invigorated Bryce Young. That's your guy, Vjr. But
the Bucks are still favored by six points.

Speaker 6 (01:27:59):
What do we think?

Speaker 4 (01:27:59):
Nah, Man, I'm going my man b why And I'm
always stay with my man b Why. I told y'all
just calm down, let things settle down. Martin made a
really good point. He benefited from just sitting for a second.
But when they put Andy downe Andy won one game
and then they all went back to the bad team
that they are. But now you can see things starting
to turn and starting to roll. Man, Tampa Bay, I
thought would be better this year. They're not. They're an

(01:28:20):
average football team. And I think going on the road,
going into Carolina Carolina home, playing off against the Chiefs
last week, I think the repeat it this week. Give
me Carolina to win this game. See I said about
week three that I was done betting on the Carolina Panthers.

Speaker 3 (01:28:34):
Uh oh, and I'm a liar. I'm bad. I'm bad.
Baker Mayfield.

Speaker 2 (01:28:40):
There is only five and twelve against the spread as
a starter when he faces a divisional opponent as a
favorite seventeen twenty seven and seven as a favorite against
the spread.

Speaker 3 (01:28:50):
He's a lot baker Mayfield. I know he's a number one.

Speaker 2 (01:28:53):
Overall pick, but the reality of the situation is he's
pretty alright. And what alright quarterbacks do is when they're
supposed to like, they keep keep games closer than they
should be. When they're the team is better, it'll be
closer than it should be. When the team is worse,
it'll be closer than it should be. I don't know
if Carolina wins, but I think they cover all right.

Speaker 5 (01:29:13):
Next up, we have a battle of two young quarterbacks
brimming with potential. It's Anthony Richardson versus Drake may The
Colts are facing off against the Patriots.

Speaker 6 (01:29:22):
The Cults are favored by two and a half.

Speaker 4 (01:29:23):
Though, what do you guys think, ah, Man, This is
a tough one for me, man, because the Patriots do
play tough.

Speaker 3 (01:29:28):
They're not a pushover team. They are at home, and
Gerard Mayo is a really good defensive coach.

Speaker 4 (01:29:34):
Listen, this Patriots defense has been really good this year,
and Anthony Richardson is still a rookie quarterback. He's still
favors some things out. He's gonna see things tomorrow Ian
that he hasn't seen before. And that's what Mayo is
gonna be able to bring from the mine of Bill Belichick.
Give me the Patriots at home. This is not a
big spread Vegas. They think this is a big game
two and a half points. But I think the Patriots
pulled off to that off and win this game tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (01:29:55):
I'm with it.

Speaker 2 (01:29:56):
I was borderline making this my third Tomic dog, but
it is just would have been three.

Speaker 3 (01:30:01):
Consecutive weeks I picked the Patriots to win and they didn't.
But I know I just didn't quit this team.

Speaker 4 (01:30:06):
Man. They feel different with Drake may in there. They
feel he's live at very minimum. And if you're telling me,
I got a QB competition between Anthony richard City Drake May,
I feel good about it because Anthony Richardson's completion of
percentage just my beat tomorrow's date eleven thirty one, if
that's even these and also two on top of his game.
Did you mentioned the two quarterbacks there? Drake may can

(01:30:27):
run too, so Anthony richards and Butsoki Drake May but
Drake May's the better passer, and I'll take the better
passer with the better defense at home in the court.
It's gonna be cold to tomorrow. It's gonna be cold
and MESSI up there in Foxborough tomorrow.

Speaker 6 (01:30:39):
All right.

Speaker 5 (01:30:39):
Last one, we got the Houston Texans. They're being hosted
by the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Texans are favored by three
and a half points.

Speaker 3 (01:30:46):
What do we think? This is my favorite gay because
I had Tennessee last week.

Speaker 4 (01:30:50):
I said Tennessee was gonna go in there, it was
gonna beat them, and they did, but I don't think
that they would have a flat fall down. I want
to pick Jacksonville, but I don't want to go against
the Texas back to back weeks. Give me the Texas
to write the ship and go down there. I know
Trevor Lawrence is supposed to be back tomorrow. So no
more the other guy, Matt whatever, Matt Jones from Alabama,

(01:31:13):
No more the other guy.

Speaker 3 (01:31:14):
But give me, give me the Texas to go in
here and write the ship and get this dubbed. Tomorrow.
I will take the Jaguars. Wow to cover, oh Okay,
to cover the cover.

Speaker 4 (01:31:24):
Final score of this game twenty three twenty seven twenty
three Texans over run on forty forty four and a half. Well,
what's twenty seven plus twenty three over over? You're taking over?
I went the under on this. I like nineteen seventeen.
This is a low scoring, tight defensive football game.

Speaker 3 (01:31:42):
See the stress picked that. You just picked the Texans
to cover? No, I picked no. I picked the Texas
to win. Oh, this is against the spread. Oh we're
doing against the spread. I forgot. You're right, you're right,
you're right, right's right, that's right. I know, all right, Okay,
give me? Did you give me? All right?

Speaker 4 (01:31:58):
Give me, give me, give me it, give me, give
me the Texans, give me, give me twenty fourteen. But
I do think this is a low I do think
this is a low score football game. So give me
the Texas twenty to fourteen.

Speaker 3 (01:32:08):
There you go. There you have. Those are the picks?
Are there even any more games left? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:32:13):
I was really looking for them. You guys hit on
most of them in the Atomic Dog, So I think
that was just kind of what was left.

Speaker 4 (01:32:19):
If I can't, I want to throw in out here Jets. Yeah, exactly,
that's the one I'm looking at, right, there. And that's
even though this is such a nasty game, this is
such a nasty line, Like Seahawks should be favored in
this by five probably no after they half yeah three
and a half four.

Speaker 3 (01:32:35):
I get your going west to east. This is the thing.
This is This is where I, honestly, as a gambler,
where I specialize. This makes no sense.

Speaker 5 (01:32:43):
Vegas, Vegas knows that this is the game that that
Jets that right right when it doesn't matter, they win Veas.

Speaker 3 (01:32:51):
This is the spot, right, this is a spot. See
Addle's got the division on the line, are like, they
need to keep winning.

Speaker 2 (01:32:56):
It's at the top of this thing. If they follow
the tumble right back down to the basement of the
NFC West, Jets have absolutely nothing to play for. But
if here's the thing, though, I feel like this is
I feel like this is unconfirmed. I haven't talked to
anybody about this, but I just think this is the
reality of being in the NFL. You know your team sucks,
right if you're the Jets, you know your team sucks,

(01:33:18):
But there's also thirty on other teams to play for.
So like when guys go out there and you're like,
you know, the left tackle free agent, all right, or
the defensive back free agent for New York. You know
this is a dumpster fire, but you gotta put out
good tape because you gotta get a job next year.

Speaker 3 (01:33:36):
I think that that is something that for.

Speaker 4 (01:33:37):
A few games, or at least get you closer than
you probably should be, right, especially when you hear all
of this tumultuation coming out of the New York I
was shocked Aaron Rodgers and Woody Johnson, and I mean,
this ugly stuff out of there.

Speaker 3 (01:33:51):
Last quick one. Give me a Titan.

Speaker 4 (01:33:52):
Give me the Titans to cover in Washington tomorrow. Nasty weather.
They're also, yeah, nasty weather, and they're out there in
the DC area tomorrow. Give me the tight They went
on the road, and they did it indoors against the Texans,
back to back against Washington.

Speaker 3 (01:34:05):
Washington is starting to go the other way. Guys.

Speaker 4 (01:34:06):
It looked good for a while, look pretty for a while.
But also too, I like the under on this too, man,
that forty four and a half. I don't think one
team's torn over twenty points. Neither team might not score
for twenty between the Titans and the Commanders of Tomorrow.
Speaking of Washington, right now, the Washington Huskies trailing Oregon
by twenty one points. Looks like the Ducks, Well they
were locked into the Big Ten championship game. Anyway, we

(01:34:29):
know who they play. We'll go through that and all
the rest of the diffree Ohio state. It sure will
not be We'll go through that and all the rest
of the conference championship permutations and everything ahead.

Speaker 10 (01:34:41):
A J. D.

Speaker 2 (01:34:41):
Pakell at the bottom of the hour. This is Martin
Weis's VICHA Husky on a Fox Sports Football Saturday currente
A loaf on the Tireck dot Com studios is Martin
Wison VJ.

Speaker 3 (01:34:52):
Husky as we.

Speaker 2 (01:34:54):
Take you through the next half hour of today, getting
you ready for it. Aaron Torres and Jason Martin.

Speaker 4 (01:35:02):
Aaron Torres is such a such a definitive voice on
college football that Steve Hartman said, let me call at.

Speaker 2 (01:35:09):
And get these playoff scenarios hammered out. So we'll do
our best right now. But that show is where you're
really gonna have plus who all the games will be over.
So like right now, Texas they look like they're going
through the SEC championship game.

Speaker 3 (01:35:21):
But Texas A and M has about and a half
minutes left to change something about a ten point game.
Plenty of game left.

Speaker 2 (01:35:30):
So I'll ask you, VJ, what was the most surprising
thing that you saw today, or I should say today
from the week of college football, because it's been you know,
it's very spread out.

Speaker 4 (01:35:41):
The most surprising thing I saw today was just how
pitiful and embarrassing and bat Ohio State looked today.

Speaker 3 (01:35:47):
That was the most surprising damn thing I saw.

Speaker 4 (01:35:49):
I knew they weren't gonna win the game, but I
didn't think that they scored ten points Mart and I didn't.
I had twenty seven to twenty three was my final score.
I thought both teams would move the ball, make some plays.

Speaker 3 (01:36:00):
Ivory game. You throw the records and you just you know,
and you just go for broke right.

Speaker 4 (01:36:04):
Never would I have thought they would score ten total
points today and be just completely shut down by a
defense that was missing an All American first team corner
to cover all these vaunted receivers that Ohio State had.
That was super, super shocking to me today as far
as college football. Another one the way Colorado finished off

(01:36:27):
of Oklahoma State yesterday. That was just a backwood, backyard
woodshed beaten man fifty two to nothing. I'm surprised. I
know you said Gundy wins nine ten games their year
and stuff, but at some point either just gonna just
be mediocre and be okay with it, or you might
lock at some changes there, man. But those are like,
those were the big things that are surprising me. I

(01:36:48):
called the two upsets the other ones that happened to it,
So those weren't really too surprising to me.

Speaker 2 (01:36:53):
Monty just texts me correcting me. Ooh, she was like,
oh I, mama, see I said, call Errortors, not Hartman.

Speaker 4 (01:37:00):
The point was Steve Hartman has I has a Heisman vote,
and you guys were talking to errators about college football.

Speaker 3 (01:37:06):
The point is he knows what he's talking about. That
was the point I was trying to make Monty, do
you use have you used my term jumped the broom yet?

Speaker 4 (01:37:13):
Have you guys used it and made sure you gave
VJ credit like you guys give credit to other people
you take their saints.

Speaker 3 (01:37:18):
Asks Monty that that's the homie right there. That's my girl.
So I'd say for me, Ohio State's.

Speaker 2 (01:37:26):
Guys said, going in, did I think that Ohio State
was going to be not nearly as bad as they
were offensively. No, But about seven minutes into the first quarter,
I saw what type of time they were on. Man,
you know, I saw what I saw, what the energy
went to be about tight. I think that Georgia Tech
last night really surprised me. I didn't think that they
didn't think that. Georgia especially for a team, and that's

(01:37:50):
kind of a theme with these kind of teams that
rose up. Georgia Tech Michigan today struggling offenses right, Georgia
Tech's are throwing the ball right, and Georgia just I
figured a team that fits the run so well would
do better than that and really should have lost the game.
And I think that would have been something incredible, something
impressive to see. We'll see, I thought Kenny Dillingham at

(01:38:11):
Arizona State sent a message.

Speaker 3 (01:38:13):
Yeah, yet they sent a messages today. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:38:16):
And that's a team that is not necessarily I don't
know how many pros they got on a roster. I
don't know, Like Camp scattle Well is probably gonna be
selling something down the line.

Speaker 4 (01:38:25):
It won't be you won't be an NFL running back.
But that's a well coached team. They're tough as nails.

Speaker 2 (01:38:31):
They played pretty good defense, and they got a running
back who they really believe in in Arizona State and
what the whooping they put on Arizona today and a
fighting Arnie Spaniard.

Speaker 3 (01:38:40):
It was very much a message. Look, I know y'all
talk about Colorado.

Speaker 2 (01:38:43):
Into Big twelve TCU, it is Cincinnati that no, no, no,
Arizona State's got something to say.

Speaker 4 (01:38:49):
Also too, Thursday, man Memphis beating Tulane. That was huge too,
because that really did shake up the college football playoff
because there were people that didn't think that the Big
Twelve was gonna get in, which I think is just
stupid when people think, oh, yeah, the power is mathematically
if Toulan had won, it would have been so like,
I get that it shouldn't have been whatever, but just like,

(01:39:11):
you know, it's just that's.

Speaker 3 (01:39:12):
What the marn I just honestly believe.

Speaker 4 (01:39:16):
And maybe I'm just being stupidly optimistic here that once
the door closed on the committee and everybody puts their
phones and stuff away on paper, yeah, maybe we leave
out the Big Twelve champion, but I'm sure somebody beat
the same and said, hold on, hold on, hold on,
hold on.

Speaker 3 (01:39:33):
We just did this last year.

Speaker 1 (01:39:35):
We just did we just.

Speaker 4 (01:39:36):
Theyd this last year, or to tell you that that's
what it would have been.

Speaker 3 (01:39:41):
Guess what so this off season reverb it.

Speaker 4 (01:39:43):
It's okay, guys, reverb sit down after the year and go, okay, guys,
what worked, what didn't work. Let's start with this power
for stuff and call it the Power five conferences. Each
conference champion gets in.

Speaker 2 (01:39:55):
Yeah, well, well let's say revamped. It's for next year.
They were not going to do it a week later,
and to if that had gotten in, would have been there.
But there's one thing.

Speaker 4 (01:40:03):
There's no debate in college football anymore, and like there's
going to be people who tried to debate it. So
when you see it happen, just know this person is
operating in bad faith, and protect your space, protect your
own mental health, right, do not get into this argument.
Deon Sanders said it, and it is so not because
Dion said it, but Deon said it, and it.

Speaker 3 (01:40:23):
Is also true.

Speaker 11 (01:40:24):
I think Travis clinched the Heisman with his performance. I
think he made a lot of people aware of how
ignorant there was with the thorpe. His performance today on
what he had three touchdowns one hundred yards and interception
and two as is broken up. He should have had
another pig hitting right a durned chest. I'm not happy

(01:40:45):
about that, but I'm happy with him, so.

Speaker 3 (01:40:48):
Furn of him.

Speaker 4 (01:40:49):
First player in twenty five seasons, quick math since not
since the year two thousand, since y two k Travis
Hunter doesn't even know why two K well lineum right, Sorry,
well Lenny Well Lennium, that's a good album. That's the
last time a college football player had three touchdowns from

(01:41:11):
scrimmage and an interception also there, Travis Hunter had. I
forget the stat I'll have it when we come back
from the UPTA. I'm trying to guess who the player is.
But go ahead, I know we gotta go to Steve.
I'm trying to guess who the player is. Steve, you're
up as I do this quick research.

Speaker 3 (01:41:25):
How you doing? Steve doing well?

Speaker 9 (01:41:27):
And you mentioned Tulane ranked in the top twenty in
college football this week, did lose at home to Memphis
on Thursdays. So Tulane finished seven and one in the
American Conference, Memphis six and two, Navy six and two
in that conference after winning on the road yesterday, Army
today eight and oh in the American Conference got a
home win against UT San Antonio twenty nine twenty four,

(01:41:50):
So there are ten total conference championship games next weekend,
three on Friday night at eight pm. One of those
is Army hosting Tulane. Another is Boise State Friday night
on Fox TV hosting it seems like UNLV to the
fourth quarter at number twenty two Vegas UNLV up thirty
one seven over Nevada. Indiana now leads sixty six nothing

(01:42:14):
against Purdue with under two minutes left. Number one Oregon
ahead of Washington forty two to fourteen, and on Fox
TV early fourth quarter, Iowa State, which blocked a field
goal attempt earlier, leads by three against Kansas State twenty
four to twenty one. There are three to three quarters
at A and M. The Texas lead is seventeen to
seven over the Aggies. Winner goes to the SEC championship

(01:42:36):
game against Georgia in Atlanta next Saturday. Texas got arch
mannings TD run off the bench in the first quarter,
quinn Ewers with a touchdown pass in the second quarter.
The only scoring for A and M at home an
interception return of ninety three yards for a TV and
in the red zone just a few minutes ago. The
Texas offense fumbled the ball away, so not over yet,

(01:42:59):
seventeen to seven. Longhorns lead at Texas A and M
just starting the fourth quarter. Michigan won at number two
Ohio State thirteen to ten on a short field goal
in the final minute. Syracuse came back to beat number
six Miami forty two to thirty eight. Syracuse had trailed
twenty one nothing in the second quarter. Clemson lost at
home to rival South Carolina seventeen to fourteen, but because

(01:43:20):
of the Hurricanes loss, Clemson is still going to the
ACC title game. Arizona State stomped Arizona in Tucson forty
nine seven. ASU did qualify for the Big twelve championship game.
The Arizona Cardinals gave running back James Connor a two
year extension. Washington running back Austin Eckler was placed on
injured reserve with a concussion. Chargers running back JK. Dobbins

(01:43:42):

Smith went on IR. Buffalo activated linebacker Matt Mulano. He's
been out for over a year in the NBA. He's
back in the Golden State lineup. Steph Curry is playing
tonight at Phoenix, but mid third quarter the Suns are
ahead of the Warriors seventy six sixty four.

Speaker 3 (01:44:01):
Courier.

Speaker 9 (01:44:01):
He's had had a sorenee three of eleven shooting now
for eleven points. Paul George, after a hyper extended knee,
returned for Philly, had eleven points in a win at Detroit.
Atlanta was a winner at Charlotte LaMelo Ball of the
Hornets out at least two weeks with a strained calf

died at the age of ninety nine. He retired in

(01:44:22):
nineteen ninety two and made the Basketball Hall of Fame
that year.

Speaker 3 (01:44:26):
Back to you, thanks Steve Bartin and VJ.

Speaker 2 (01:44:28):
Coming to you a lot from the Tireck dot Com
stideos without further ado, Let's go ahead and get our
guests in here. He does have theme music, Bishop Magic
gwan don a college football JD pikel on three College
Football Insider.

Speaker 3 (01:44:41):
He's on the Hard Count on YouTube. Best part it's
on demand. Just go look for it. Whatever you hear
his voice, just go find it and JD, New Dad,
j D.

Speaker 7 (01:44:50):
How you doing, my friend, man, I'm feeling a lot
like you mentioned New Dad and that team music comes
on right around nine thirty Central on the Saturday night.
It's go time there. Yeah, well, I know VJ is doing.
I know y'all both do a tremendous and light of
what happened in Dowstern today, but pleasure beyond.

Speaker 1 (01:45:06):
With you all.

Speaker 3 (01:45:06):
You are absolutely right. Don't be trying to be my
friend now. We are on cloud nine, ten, eleven, twelve,
wherever you want to be at.

Speaker 4 (01:45:14):
As the University of Michigan Wolverines walked into Ohio State's trap,
Becks took over eight trap, fourth year in a row
for Ryan Day, who, for my dollar, one of the
best coaches in college football, but just seemingly cannot win
the game that matters.

Speaker 3 (01:45:26):
What is this fallout for Ohio State? Because to me,
this is a very very big loss.

Speaker 7 (01:45:31):
Obviously, I think there's oh I mean it's a massive loss.
I mean this was death con twelve, fifteen, sixteen, whatever
number you want to put to it, Like this was
the doomsday scenario that everyone I think kind of joked
about a little bit, like hey, well, well, what if
they lost to Michigan this year, But no, no, that's
twenty million dollars roster. I mean Michigan's down no more,
Jim Harbaugh. And so I think short of winning a

(01:45:53):
national championship for Ryan Day, this is becoming playoff run
things canna get very, very comfortable. And I know the
take is going to be if they don't win a
national championship, fire Ryan Day, If they don't win a
national championship, if from Ryan Day, I wonder how much
longer you want to go on with this whole deal, Like, wow,
you win ten eleven games a year. If you don't

(01:46:15):
win the right one, it's like, well, this guy is
not I mean, this guy sucks. The variety is the problem,
and it's like, I don't know, there's somebody better for
the jobs than Ryan Day. But it's kind of like
one of those toxic relationships, Like they're clearly not getting married.
It feels like every single summer break they're going to
break up and they get back together sometime.

Speaker 4 (01:46:31):
In the fall and body, but like they get together
at the summer career yep, this time every year.

Speaker 7 (01:46:37):
It's a bad vibe. And so I'm curious if it's
not just a mutual breakup, and it's not you, it's.

Speaker 3 (01:46:42):
Me, j D, BIKEL. What's up player? How you doing?

Speaker 9 (01:46:47):
I'm doing well, not as good as y'all, man, but
I'm doing.

Speaker 3 (01:46:49):
For then you already know where I'm going.

Speaker 4 (01:46:51):
About a month and a half ago, I tried to
tell you about Will Howard and exactly what was going
to happen.

Speaker 3 (01:46:56):
And I told you if he put the ball in
his hands, he'll get the game away. Hey, here I am.

Speaker 4 (01:47:02):
Today to tell you I was writing my friend in
victory left.

Speaker 3 (01:47:05):
Right in your face, JD.

Speaker 4 (01:47:07):
Right in your face, man, nineteen thirty three, not over
a two hundred yards two interceptions.

Speaker 3 (01:47:13):
I'm gonna let you defend a guy, but I just
want you to know, right in your face, JD.

Speaker 7 (01:47:19):
You know what, give credit to Will Howard? Uh festus
very very festive kind of performance today, uh yesterday, Christmas
is coming up like he's like, hey, I might as
well gift wrap a few of these shar own more
nice little early Christmas President. I mean, I mean that
was that was on the money. I this is this
is tough to say, and a lot of it being

(01:47:39):
less than what eight hours removed from them. Just having
the collapse of all collapses of the regular season. There's
a part of me now that wonders, just a part,
small part of me wonders at the Ohio State maybe
you need a little wake up call before the college
football playoff. It's not a matter of talentce so that
that that is like if I am looking through my
my scarlet and gray colored glasses, that I would own

(01:48:00):
it from a bluck eye. Man, maybe that's the optics
you look at it through. But no, I'm with you.
I mean they were the most surprising to me Vja
and Martin was the fact that like Ohio State just
competitively did not meet the moment talent so much like
they were, they were nowhere to be found.

Speaker 5 (01:48:18):
Like it was.

Speaker 7 (01:48:18):
It was Michigan looking like the team that was poised
to go make a college football playoff when I won
a national title. So that was I mean, there's a
lot to unpack here with that one. But credit Schrin
wore having that team ready to roll, and Ryan Day
clearly whatever whatever you want to put to it, however
you want to explain it, they very much showed it up.

Speaker 3 (01:48:35):
And I just want to piggyback on out.

Speaker 4 (01:48:36):
So On a more serious note, what happens with Ohio
stay in this playoff? They're not going to be a
top four team because they're not going to play for
the conference championship. Could we see them show up in
one of these early games on the road man and
end up getting beat and getting sent home? And does
that make it now even worse where it's not Ryan
Day's decision, he doesn't even make it to the plane.

Speaker 7 (01:48:57):
Yeah, I mean, I think the tough thing is after today,
it's hard to argue that it couldn't happen, right because
I mean I think before this weekend, even if they
had eaped out a win over Michigan, you say, okay,
well they had let down rivalry spot, you know, found
a way to get it done good teams from ugly.
But now like you're rolling out there against Arizona State,
Like who's to say Arizona State can't get it done?

(01:49:18):
Like like if that's a maybe not as physical an
outfits as Michigan is, Like if you're not tackling Clail Mulling,
I mean, camp scattery is not a much much easier task.
Like if they do draw someone like an Arizona State
or heck, They're probably not going to draw on Arizona
State now with their shooting probably being somewhere in the
nine if we're being generous, probably more likely the ten
to eleven range. It's not gonna be a great vib

(01:49:39):
So yeah, I think to put it to put a
bow on that thought, like absolutely if they have a
first round exit, especially if it's to somebody with a
logo that's not quite as appealing to the to the
bucket anyone. Yeah, Bob's not gonna be good.

Speaker 3 (01:49:53):
So JD, what do they do with Indiana now?

Speaker 4 (01:49:56):
Because they have Indiana has the head to head loss
against hig State, but only one loss all on the year.

Speaker 3 (01:50:02):
How do you think Indiana shakes out when this is
all said and done?

Speaker 7 (01:50:06):
You know, I think they get four teams in from
the Big Ten. I think you've got Penn State, Oregon, Indiana,
Ohio State. I'm just curious now who that twelve team
is going to be in the playoff in general, because
because I think Indiana the lost to Ohio State hasn't
aged you know, as well as you would have liked
it too. Obviously, you like Ohio State to go win
the Big Ten championship, and you're only lost the Big ten.

Speaker 1 (01:50:25):
JA.

Speaker 3 (01:50:25):
Yeah, but you know you run into a bus law
j D.

Speaker 7 (01:50:27):
Wait what can you do exactly exact? I mean, hey, you,
what are you going to do there? So I think
Indiana is still in how they seed them relative to
to lost Ohio State is going to be fascinating if
it's me, based on what this committee keeps telling us,
with how much they value the eye tests and how
teams look on Saturdays, it's hard for me to unsee
what happened in Columbus if I'm trying to put Indiana

(01:50:50):
ahead of Ohio State. So I think you see Indiana
behind Ohio State, but at the same time, the two losses,
I think if you're pushing back against that in a
pretty emphatic way, you have a case. So final answer
Indiana behind Ohio State based on the I test, which
the committee values.

Speaker 4 (01:51:05):
The question that is, I think everybody's asking, if you
look around, look what happened today. Miami loses, Clemson loses,
Georgia last night eked out one, but I think that
helped them. That those other teams lost, and then the
Ohio team loses today. Tell me why we could possibly
see we agree with three plays A three lost playoff team.

(01:51:27):
A three lost team should not be in the playoffs.
We've taught you and I we've talked about this on
the show. But right right, but it feels like, and
I don't want to do conspiracy theory thing, but it
feels like they're trying to figure out a way to
slide Alabama in here.

Speaker 3 (01:51:41):
They're sitting at thirteen right now, and these.

Speaker 4 (01:51:43):
Other teams have lost now, and then they go win
their rivalry game today not pretty twenty eight fourteen, but
they go win the game.

Speaker 3 (01:51:50):
Could we be wrong when we.

Speaker 4 (01:51:52):
Thought no way a three lost team gets into the playoffs?
Could we see one sneak in there? And could it
be also maybe Colorado somehow sneaks in there.

Speaker 7 (01:52:03):
You know, things are gonna get really weird here down
the stretch once we figure out who's representing the Big twelve.
Depending on how we want to slice this thing, we
could see three three loss teams in the college football
playf You can see, I'm not one hundred percent sure
where things stand right now with the Big twelve tie breakers,
and I know the Kansas State Iowa say it's going
on right now later in the week or and then
I excuse me kicked off.

Speaker 3 (01:52:25):
Now zero zero gets Houston.

Speaker 7 (01:52:27):
Okay, so let's let let's walk this through. Let's say
there's a world where Colorado wins the Big Twelve. They
find themselves in that will win the Big twelve three
loss team in if Clemson they just got to beat
us of you next week, they could be a three
loss tip they're in probably Clemson getting a bye as well.
Whether that's right or wrong, I think it's wrong. With
another discussion by the time, I think that the three

(01:52:47):
loss like you mentioned at large bid is fascinating if
I have to pick a team that's most deserving now,
even though they don't have the head to head against Alabama,
I think the way that South Carolina is balling right now, Wow,
you take a look at their losses, which is I
hate talking about quality losses. I think that's just like
a loser Bronze Metal mentality.

Speaker 1 (01:53:06):
But here we are.

Speaker 7 (01:53:07):
All three of their losses are terrank teams. And I
know Alabama. I know that they beat South Carolina by
two points in Brian Denny, but I mean, gosh, dang,
I can't un see what happened in Norman last weekend.
I feel like I have a hard time unseeing what
happened in Nashville when they played Vanderbilt. The body of
work for itself, I think by nature of how much
chaos we've seen across the college football and it's gonna

(01:53:28):
be last couple of weeks I wanted. I actually not
even I wouldn't have a grife. I would support a
South Carolina getting in at that last spot in college
football playoff. And I'll tell you this too, I don't
think anybody wants to play South Carolina with that edge rushers,
with the Nora Sellers, I think they'd be a very,
very difficult out for whoever they drew.

Speaker 3 (01:53:46):
Yeah, I remember was first game I saw Lenora Sellers
play and I saw those glasses. No way, this guy
is nice. He's pretty damn good. Jam. One last question
for you, deon it.

Speaker 2 (01:54:00):
The other day, Travis Hunter had three touchdowns and an interception.
First player in twenty five seasons to do that. He
has three career games with ten catches and the interception.
All other Football Ball Subdivision players since nineteen ninety six JD,
of which you were one, there's only one guy who's
done that.

Speaker 3 (01:54:19):
Travis has done it three times.

Speaker 2 (01:54:21):
There's no competition, right, This is something that if we
talk about the debate between he or Jent or He
or Shador Sanders, that's just to make TV ratings.

Speaker 3 (01:54:30):
Right, it's Travis Hunter. It's the high.

Speaker 7 (01:54:34):
So I've seed it out in several cases throughout the
last couple of weeks. Hey, the Heisman Trophy rates essentially
over like it's Travis Hunter. And then I get someone
in the mentions pop up and say, are you kidding me?
Are you watching football?

Speaker 11 (01:54:47):
This?

Speaker 7 (01:54:47):
That and the other, And then I'm like, where is
this coming from? So I go and check out that profile,
and there is a Boise State header and of course,
of course sure, I mean unless you reside in the
Potato state, which more power to those folks. What Ashton
Gents is doing is probably Heisman Trophy worthy any other year.
But like we mentioned a couple of times, like what

(01:55:08):
Travis Hunter is doing not only has never been done,
like we're never going to see this again, and I
truly believe that. And so the narrative that like his
stats aren't good enough on defense, I think it is
just a wildly irresponsible thought because if you're playing corner,
the idea is not to have any stats at all,
because they're not rolling at So I think that's just
a hilarious sentiment in itself. It's Travis Hunters. It's been

(01:55:30):
Travis Hunters for a while. I think Vegas now has
his number juiced up to like minus one thousand to
a nights and trophies. So I think I think this
thing is buttoned up tremendous year by asking gent. But
this is Travis Hunter's side, And.

Speaker 4 (01:55:42):
To be clear, it is Hei has been worthy candidacy,
He has been Candida is he worthy every other year?

Speaker 3 (01:55:49):
It's not dancing Dent's faults.

Speaker 2 (01:55:50):
Absolutely that Travis Hunter is both as a top five
receiver in a top three, a top five cornerback, and
like I said, I didn't do well at math, but
that's got to add up to number one.

Speaker 3 (01:56:01):
Jay D, thanks for coming on the show, my friend.
Appreciate you. We'll have you on this time next week.
It's heating up right now on college football. Thanks pal.

Speaker 4 (01:56:10):
That's hey, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say you will
Howard Jersey, you gotta wear it.

Speaker 3 (01:56:17):
Thanks Jay D, appreciate you.

By this time next week, you'll hear that song again.
Let's go ahead and do it. I'll start by this
time next week, eat from Salaam.

Speaker 3 (01:56:58):
You're on notice. There's another they're singer at Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (01:57:01):
Now.

Speaker 3 (01:57:01):
I'm just kidding. Be take go ahead, you're up.

Speaker 4 (01:57:03):
By this time next week, we will have a three
lost team in the college football playoff.

Speaker 3 (01:57:08):
We absolutely will, and I'll be furious.

Speaker 2 (01:57:10):
By this time next week, we will have answered about
five different questions about Ryan Day's job security, not what
they're gonna do in their next game.

Speaker 4 (01:57:20):
By this time next week, the Lakers will be in
worse position at that point than they were at the
same point with Darvin Ham last year.

Speaker 3 (01:57:29):
By this time next week, we'll be having the conversation,
Wait a minute, hold up, were we too fast? Are
we sure? CJ. Strout's better than Bryce Young? Just hand up?
I am sure, but that's conversation will be happening. By
this time next week.

Speaker 4 (01:57:46):
The Houston Rockets will be first in the West OKAC
at Sacramento at Golden State this week?

Speaker 3 (01:57:53):
Man, about a year? How about a year late? Or
you're early on the rightde just to claim that though,
because you did say they were gonna be good.

Speaker 2 (01:58:00):
By this time next week, the New Orleans Saints will
be right back where they are. I know this Rams
line is a little funny, but the Saints are one
of the worst teams in the NFL. The Rams just
have a little bit of a lack of talent. But
the head coaching matchup, the Saints are losing this game.

Speaker 4 (01:58:13):
By this time next week, another NFL head coach would
have been fired. It is either going to be Brian
Dable or Zach Taylor.

Speaker 3 (01:58:22):
Try of things. Anybody else even eligible? Who Doug e P?
Doug e P?

Speaker 4 (01:58:27):
I mean, I just don't think he didn't have Trevor
for five games. Guys, you can't fire him without his quarterback.
Parker thinks Kyle Shanahan.

Speaker 3 (01:58:33):
By this time next week, both the best at sports
will remain.

Speaker 2 (01:58:36):
Lamar Jackson only lost one game in the NFC got
quarterback that though, Daniel Jones
