Speaker 1 (00:01):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
That's right, and we're broadcasting live from the tireck dot
Com studios. Tireak dot com is the way that tire
buying should be, with an unmatched selection, fast free shipping,
feruidize a protection and over ten thousand recommend them to
stars tierreck dot com. They'll help you get there. That's
my own little remix on it, you know, on the
classic original Martin Wiss VJ Husky on a Saturday evening,

(00:26):
eight o'clock on the East coast, five o'clock on the
West coast, where it is up and smoke out here.
There have been fires raging all week. We've both been
impacted in some way in some form, and it's honestly
impossible not to be impacted by these fires if you
live in Los Angeles or the surrounding areas. So this
prayers up to everybody who's being impacted by that, having

(00:46):
to evacuate me, have lost their homes or anything. And
thank you to the first responders and all the other
people from across the world at this point coming to
Los Angeles to help with the efforts, and thank you
to the journalists on the front line going in fourth
and and saying where it's safe to be and getting
out information. As you know. I don't know about you, VJ,
but I've had two separate things that told me I

(01:08):
had to evacuate and it was like, oh wait, false alarm.
I found that out because of the news. So thank
you to everybody involved on that regard as well.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Yes, absolutely, man, As always, thank you to all the
listeners out there Fox Sports Radio. Listen to Lamartin and
VJ Fox Sports Football Saturday doing what we do. Yes,
it's been, it's been. It's been. It's been scary, I'll
say because I've never had to be evacuated before. I've
lived out in Los Angeles for a long time. I've
seen these fires, earthquakes, things, every anything that can happen
in Cali. I've been through. I've been here long enough

(01:38):
and seen it. But I have never had to stop
what I was doing immediately and grab everything and grab
the kitties and make plans and get out. So prayers
up for everybody out here.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Man. It is.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
You know, it's up and smoke, but you know, like
Martin said, just a tip of the hat to everybody
that is working. I passed a donation tent on their
way in wildfire donation tent. The ladies out there with
a tent and a table when people are just dropping
things off. Man, So just pray for everybody out here,
and if you can give a little, give a little,
because there are a lot of people lost, a lot
of home structures, builders and stuff.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
But we're gonna do what we.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Do, Mark, We're gonna come in here and we're gonna
entertain people talk some sports that happened today. Man, good stuff,
good stuff about to start off and kick off here
in the second. So let's go, man, Let's.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Do what we do best. And it is a football Saturday,
and as best we have the best of the best
playing in the football I both college football and in
the NFL. DJ if you if you listen to this show,
I'm not saying you, but the fans of the world,
if you listen to the show I listened to it,
you know that may J and I have at a
season long picks competition. Eighteen weeks. We picked five games,

(02:39):
and that is now settled. That pick competition is done
the regular season. It's its own season now. It's not
for the postseason. That's where legends are made les, Sam
Darnold said earlier this week and where legends will be
made on this show right here, So VJ, I know
we're doing things a little bit out of order.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Now.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
We already missed one game, the Chargers and the Texans.
We'll talk about that in about fifteen minutes and the
fallout from either side. But seeing as we have a
game about to kick off, I'm looking at Kirk Kurbstreet
and Al Michaels. I'm watching it on my laptop because
it's only streaming on Amazon. Thanks a lot. But anyway,
this game is starting in a few minutes, VJ. Let's
hurry up quickly pick this side. It's Baltimore nine and

(03:19):
a half. Baltimore the home team, obviously AFC North Division winner,
Pittsburgh the wild card.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Then nine and a half scares the hell out of
me because it could be this could be a twenty
point win for the Raves, like they can go out here.
I think this is Lamar Jackson's best opportunity this season
to win the Super Bowl even more than last year.
And I think he probably might win the MVP this
year if they don't just give it to Josh Allen
Over sympathy. But but you know, Tomlin, you know the Steelers,

(03:47):
like the Steelers are those team. It's like the Spurs
right for so long, I'm not counting them out even
though they have not won a playoff game. I believe
in eight years. They haven't won a playoff game in
a long time. But to keep finishing over five hundred,
and that's honest. What keeps Tomlin his job is that
it's the Steelers. They don't make changes. They've only had
what four coaches in the history of their of their franchise.
They don't They're not gonna fire the guy he's he's winning.

(04:09):
These companions get to the playoffs, but they're not winning
playoff games. But being at it's nine and a half,
I will I'll say I'll take the Steelers to cover,
but I still think the Ravens win the game. No,
Zay Flowers is going to be huge.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
That young man.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
I told you guys last year he is the next
Tyreek Hill type player. And you saw it last year
a little bit better rookie numbers did Tyree and then
you saw it.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Exploding year number two pro baller.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
But him being out is just that, that's that worries
me because I really don't trust any other receivers there.
That's why I've been so high on him. So I'll
take the Steelers to cover. But I think the Ravens
do pull it off because they do just have the
better offensive, better teams. And I'll take Lamar and Derrick
Henry over Naje. Harris's nag playing in that because I
know he got banged up and got hurt, so I

(04:53):
didn't check to say he's playing. But I'll take Nase
over Russell Wilson. I mean, I'll take that quarterback running
back over the Steelers quarter to make the plays.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
To win the game. I also, I am taking the
Steelers plus nine and a half, and just I know
we're not supposed to do this, I'm rooting for the
Steelers as well. Like Penn State. Yeah, like hey, hey,
and we'll talk about Penn State update, we'll dive into
that game. Because your eye was on the bat. I
was on the edge of my seat. It was like,

(05:22):
let's go E s U or whatever they say is hey,
And I would have been right because no one would
have been happy if that team. Nobody would have happy
if that team won a national championship. The way they
played in that game, if they somehow want it, nobody,
nobody would have been happy about it. I'm going with
the Steelers here, but I just I want Tomlin Street
to end. I do not think that it's some level

(05:45):
of failure that Mike Tomlin has not won a playoff
game in a little while, right. I know it's been
all year, it's been eight years, but you know what else,
like the idea that finishing five hundred or better every
single year is somehow hell does a black mark on
Mike Tomlin is insane to me? And I just so,
I just that's what I want. I want it so

(06:07):
everybody can shut up and they don't to only say
they'll just go, well.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
This would have been one playoff way in the usaight years.
Well you know what you were wrong?

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Then? Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
But here here's the thing, and I hate they actually
rebuttle that because it makes perfect sense. But I heard
Colin say something that that's really stuck with me before,
and he said, we have to stop making mediocre good.
And if you're a team, take Toomlin's name away, take
the Steelers brand away, give it to another coach and
another franchise. Other than the Packers, the Cowboys, give it

(06:40):
to another franchise or anything like we would be fighting,
we would be calling for his Jobin Dolphin, people are
calling for Mike McDaniel, who's oh, he missed the playoffs
his first time in his three year coaching career in
Miami went to the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
But now the playoffs don't count for him.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
But because Tomlin does it, I agree with you, we
do kind of hold it in Laura Man, they just
don't finish under five hundred.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Yeah, but is nine and eight really good? Like it's
nine and eight really good? Like, No, it's not. It's
in the middle, it's mediocre. It's an odd number of
games now, so no one's can beat no one can
beat five hundred anymore. You're either gonna be over five hundred.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Are you gonna be under five hundred in the NFL
moving forward unless they go to eighteen games.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
So the fact of the matter is the only way
you can win a Super Bowl is to qualify first
for the playoffs. And every single year I'm watching the
Pittsburgh Steelers start the likes of Mason Rudolph and Duck
Hodges and who was the quarterback last year before Mason, Rudolph,

(07:36):
Kenny Pickett. I'm watching these these murderers row of quarterbacks
walking through the and this is not in the NFC.
This is the AFC with Patrick Mahomes, Jeff Den, Herbert,
Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, like this is the this is
this is the Superero quarterback. Oh look, don't leave out Ooz.

(07:56):
I did these, say Herbert? I did say Herbert, who
had quadro rupled his interception count today. It was a
tough day, it was a lay was a rougher last
week for you to blame you to plant your flag
on Justin Herbert last week before his worst game of
the year. And I mean, it's just the way that

(08:16):
this play. The ball bounces sometimes, it's just the prediction.
Game is tough.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
You've been holding that one, ready for that one?

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Just you wait until this one. Honest how much football?
I'm good? So I'm waiting. I can't wait to talk
that well, we can't. Honestly. Look, there's one thing I'll
be honest with that it's in the tank right now,
and that is when you hear how the picks went,
You're going to blow your mind. Just know that you

(08:44):
already told him. Did you already tell me the result? Honestly, no,
I asked remember I asked you Sunday because I was
like if I am I? I was like, am I right?
If these these things occurred, and they everything did? I
asked them ahead of time, and so I remembered the results.
So we'll get to that in just a moment. Lamar
Jackson losing this game, though, as catastrophic as it would

(09:05):
be for Mike Tomlin to lose this game and continue
the streak, it would be so much worse for Lamar
Jackson's almost career.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
And then by well, TV shows Monday morning, but you go, okay,
you know tell the Monday morning by TV shows just like,
oh he's done. It'll go from it'll go this is
what will happen on Monday morning on your on your
your cable debate television shows. It will go from Lamar
Jackson will eventually to Lamar Jackson is unable to win

(09:33):
a super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
He can't do it well, he can't do well, and
the evidence will be well because he hasn't yet, I
just would submit one Jason Tatum, like all these people
who can't win championships, the only way you can't win
is if you don't make the playoffs. And if you're
in the playoffs every single year, you've got a shot,
by a literal definition.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
And then Tatum actually goes and wins one, and the
disrespect rises. Well, Tatum actually goes and wins one and
and and I'm seeing people say even more wild stuff.
Now now he's soft. Oh wow, I think I think
what it is. Okay, I think part of what it is.
If we may, I'll walk down this.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
Road, because you know what, it's been a you know me,
how long and freaking week? Why not? Yeah? If Jason
Tatum didn't mimic every single or seemingly every single iconic
NBA celebration as he was celebrating, I don't think the
reaction would have been the same. I mean, but here's

(10:30):
the thing that's interesting about it, Jason Tatum is what
is what? How old is? Jason said, with twenty five,
I got twenty six, I got is about ten years
younger than me, which is the generation that like I
grew up, I remember dial up internet. If you're ten
years younger than me, which I think ian is what
about twelve years younger than me?

Speaker 3 (10:48):
Yeah, I'm twenty five, twenty five, twenty five, Ian, Oh
your baby, dude, So we're in the same range. Do
you remember a time in your life before the Internet?

Speaker 5 (10:59):
No?

Speaker 2 (11:00):
Really? Okay, yeah, not really.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
You didn't even know what a beeper is, right, but
even deeper than that, so like he doesn't even remember
a time that they're like the internet didn't exist from
everything that all intensive purposes his memories.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
He could always go online, whether it's a welly it
sounded like the dial up or whatever to what we
have now. So at what point, at what age were
you when you got your first social media account? And
what was it?

Speaker 6 (11:26):
I got Instagram first, and that was probably when I
was wow, twelve.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
Okay, twenty So think about that. He's twelve years old
when he gets Instagram.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
So if Jason Tatum and Ian are about the same age,
Jason Tatum, I think it stands a reason. And he
got his Instagram somewhere between eleven and fourteen, right, mind
you too, he's tearing up Saint Louis as a basketball player,
so he's got probably well known on the thing too. Right,
he sees all these different instances. You see how many
times you see the meme of Kobe holding the trophy.

(11:57):
How many times you watch Kevin Garnet say anything is possible,
it becomes this thing. It becomes this thing because it's
in your face every day. It's not just the memory
of watching it on TV and then you don't see
it again until the next year. Right, it's in your
face consistently.

Speaker 6 (12:12):
It's like Rayola imitating Mahomes exactly.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
It's like people said, like I can see a world
where Jason Tatum says, this is what this is supposed
to look like. This is what it's supposed to look
like when I win a championship. Now, everybody like us
who saw those moments organically happen, We're like, that's not
No one told Kevin Garnet to say anything as possible.
No one told Mike to hold the trophy like that
like cryings out. He just was doing it. But after

(12:37):
a while, it's kind of like the same way you
see guys imitating others games. Right, It's like you see
Dwayne Wade's crossover, it was Alan Iverson's both Alan Iversus
crossover was Dwayne Wade's crossover. Then Dwayne Wade added to
spin and you know what I'm saying then you see guys.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
Bida Mitchell said he likes to play that Wade and
you can see it. You can see it in his game.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Yeah, so like head, why would he not jump on
the scorer's table afterwards, because that's what they want. That's
what d Wade did. Wade did. It's my house. It's
my house. That's my tip.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
No, I'm not mad at it, man, I just because
if you remember, if you were to remember, people used
to go after Kobe for saying he was trying to
act like Jordan. She was gun like Jordan, and Kobe
did Kobe and Kobe's my guy. Everybody knows basketball player
repented at the time.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
He was honest.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
He was very upfront about it. Yeah, I studied. I
used to have my friends record Bulls games to me
and then send them to me in Italy when my
dad was over there, when he was over in Europe,
and I would watch him and study his moves. I
always defindited it, as you guys are just mad because
he's actually good enough to pull it off. Because there
are people that try to imitate and try to be
other type of players or try to take something from

(13:40):
somebody's game, and it just it just never happens. It
It never you know, it never formulates like people go
see a LaJuan, right, but how many people do you
actually see Take that to the court, take that to
the game, and put that in there game like Kobe did.
When Kobe came back from a LaJuan, he told no,
this is the dream shape. Mike had a little Shimmy
dream had to shake. Kobe had to shape and very

(14:02):
few people able to do it. Jason Tatum is just
mimicking I think too many people.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
But Lis can do what. I gotta take off on him.
Coming up next. One of these teams had great vibes
all year and the other had terrible all year, and
it is flipped. We'll talk about that in just a moment.
Ian Rocker down. We both have Steelers plus nine and
a half here, first pick of the playoff for dictions
for Martin and VJ right now on Fox Sports Saturday

(14:29):
on Fox Sports Football Saturday.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
Still scoreless between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Both teams have possessed the ball, but still waiting to
see anything happen, just to getting started. Nine to forty
five left in the first quarter.

Speaker 7 (14:57):
There.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Steve Sager will update you on that everything else in
the world of sports in about seven minutes. But right
now it's time to a recap what's already been done.
We have one playoff game so far in the books VJ.
It is the Chargers and the Texans. This was a
trendy upset pick across America. A lot of people picked
the Chargers to go in and upset the home team,

(15:20):
the Houston Texans, And this is what I was saying.
The vibes of these two teams were radically different all year.
Start let's start with the Chargers. Well, actually I'll start
with the Texans. The Texans up and down, embarrassed on Christmas,
end up finishing the year. They are not finishing, They're
not done yet, but finishing the year the same way
they finished last year, winning a home playoff game. The

(15:43):
Chargers had great vibes all season due to the you know,
the influx of Jim Harbaugh, adding him into the roster
and quite honestly a lot of addition by subtraction. There
was a lot of guys who left this team, but
the vibes were all good. But then we get into
the postseason, Justin Herbert has his worst game of the
post of the whole entire season, and Chargers not able

(16:05):
to run the ball, two things that had been keys
for them all year. Justin Herbert playing well and being
able to run the ball.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
Yeah, running the ball is always my first easiest one,
being able to see this team up close on personal.
When they run the football, that's when they win. But
my new favorite stat of football, which really I guess
fester it over.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Maybe like the last twelve weeks.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
It hasn't been like the whole season, but as the
season goes on, if you go look at third down
conversion offensively and defensively, because we could talk about running
the ball, stopping a run, rushing the passer, protecting the passer,
but if you can't get off the field, or you
can't stay on the field, you can't.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
Win football games. Gotta be able to possess You've.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
Gotta be able to possess the football. And in this game,
the Chargers are punching them in the mouth up and down.
For about the first eight to ten minutes of this game.
The crowd was completely out of it. The play called
the plays at one point was seventeen to four. The
Chargers had run seventeen plays, the Texans had run four,
and we were almost to the end of the first quarter.

(17:07):
It was it was definitely a game you can see, Okay,
this is a horrball tight game. This is a horrball
tight team. They want to go in here, they want
to be physical, they want to punch you in the mouth.
Fifty yards on the ground's not gonna get it, and
three four eleven for third down. They couldn't stay on
the field. I'm not sure what happened today, but justin Herbert,
zero rushing attempts, that's been part of the offense. We've

(17:29):
asked questions. I've asked questions to him and Jim Harball
face to face. Is that now a part of the game.
The ankle seems, you know, well now you seem healed,
and they openly, yes, that's gonna be part of the game.
We're gonna add Herbert running, you know more in the offense.
And I just didn't see zero rushes today. It was
almost like the NC Championship, last game, when you're watching

(17:50):
Lamar Jackson not take off and use his legs.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
This is part of the offense.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
I don't know why coaches get into this part Martin
and get into playoff games and honestly forget how to
coach what they had. And then kudos to the Texas.
Took a while to warm up. Once you woke up.
You're the home team, you have the higher seed, You're
supposed to win this game. Go out and don't feel
sorry for them because they didn't come. Prepare to not
doing anything.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
Do your thing.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
C J.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
Stroud, good game. I think two to eighty something to
touchdown in twenty two to touch in the pick. But
you know there's still young. He's gonna learn. And congratulations
to doing what you do. You get a home game,
you win. Chargers I thought started really well and then
for some reason they just couldn't run the football. And
you can watch the Texas. They were selling out to
the run. And last quick point, I'm sorry and I
wrote this down. They need I've been saying all year,

(18:34):
they need a guy, they need a wr one guy
there that a way. They were eleven and six this year. Okay,
you tell me they get a bona fide one guy
wide out. They can't get to thirteen wins next year,
win the division, win.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
A playoff game, get a home playoff game, Yes they can.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
They The team's good. They got a lot of players,
but that's one thing that was so evident today. They
just don't have that guy. Mcconkor would be a great
two and QJ would be a great three. Just saw
Derek Henry make a play in this Stealers Ravens game.
For more on that and everything else going on in
the world of sports. Ooh, mak a fit Patrick. That's
going to be a poster of a face mask. Steve Seger,
bemo and Bema, you're up.

Speaker 8 (19:10):
It is scoreless early, but my goodness, the Ravens on
their first drive are destroying the Steelers on the ground
and they're working on a six and a half minute drive.
Now again, it's scoreless, five and a half minutes to go.
First quarter. Pittsburgh had the ball first and punted, and
right now the Pittsburgh Steelers on the ground are killing
it and in fact rushing as a team. And this

(19:33):
is just one drive over seventy yards on the ground
in eight carries for the Baltimore Ravens so far and
no no Z Flowers, the Ravens Pro Bowl wide receiver
left last Saturday with a knee injury.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
He is out.

Speaker 8 (19:46):
Temperatures were in the twenties last week in Baltimore in
the thirties this weekend. Earlier, Houston opened wild Card weekend
with a victory over the Chargers thirty two to twelve.
The Chargers were up six nothing early field goals on
their first two drives, still led six nothing with about
a minute left in the first half, and then Nico
Collins had a thirteen yard touchdown reception from CJ.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
Stroud.

Speaker 8 (20:09):
Collins is so good he was targeted eight times, had
seven catches one hundred and twenty two yards and a
TD and the Texans win the game thirty two to twelve.
There are three games coming up on Sunday, including on
Fox TV Packers at Eagles four thirty pm Eastern time.
The Monday night game Rams versus Vikings will be played
in Arizona due to the LA fires. In fact, no

(20:32):
Lakers home game tonight because of that, No Clippers home
game tonight because of that. Houston and Atlanta in the
NBA postponed by a winter storm. Phoenix beat Utah today
one fourteen, one oh six Utah nine and twenty eight
on the season and we can update it is officially
a good first drive for the Baltimore Ravens. Lamar Jackson

(20:52):
fifteen yard touchdown pass to Rashad Bateman extra point will
make it seven to nothing in the first Ravens at
home against the Steelers.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
Beck t thanks Steve, Martin and VJ. Coming to you

extra point through the upright seven nothing Baltimore with four
thirty nine left in the first quarter. I'm Martin Weiss,
Vjy's at the Big Vanilla funny and I know we
do have a tweet from I believe it was Scratch

(21:42):
Addict eighty six. He always m yeah. He asked so
ahead of time, will we still be on?

Speaker 3 (21:47):
And I said yes, and he said glad to hear
you guys are safe and good. I said, thanks, Bru, thanks, yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
No, oh yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
Shawn Khan eighty six, he always listen, he'd been. He
been with us since the beginning. Man, He's like Benning,
some of the muppa cats out there, been with since
to begin appreciate your brother, Do you have any other
ones right now? Or let's keep on try, let's keep
on lapping.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
So here's the thing this Chargers roster, to me, has
shown consistently that is not it's not fully developed yet.
Because a guy like lab McConkie getting one hundred ninety
seven yards receiving. It's not exactly like Nico Collins, who
was playing at an all pro level all year. He's
been in the year, been in the league for a
few years, he's got one hundred and twenty two. But

(22:30):
I do think, though, when you consider this Houston Texans team,
which again I mean kind of stumbled out of the gate,
i'd say, in terms of what the expectations were for
some of the media members around, but still finished three
games above five hundred and one to five home games.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
Sexy super Bowl picked the you know trink.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
Right, you know what I'm saying. I say it didn't
didn't necessarily win, you know, the twelve thirteen fourteen games.
People thought maybe, but ten and seven in your second year,
second years a quarterback, second year as a head coach,
and and you know, dealing with some injuries there, especially
in the receiver corps with Nico Collins missing time with
the hamstring. Tank Dell now is out right, Stefan Diggs

(23:09):
being out that they went to address something in the
offseason with Stefan Diggs then missed him. That's a major impact.
And to see them finish you know, the regular season
at just where they did last year, even with losing
the additions, and then advanced the same way they did
last year, I think that's modes well for the future
for the Texans, both obviously short term because got to

(23:30):
win to keep playing, but long term as well.

Speaker 3 (23:32):
Yeah, long term as well. Look, they took advantage of
a team that didn't play well today. You're supposed to
do that in the playoffs. But even going into the season,
my prediction on them was ten to eleven wins. I
didn't see this leap that people other people thought because
the AFC is tough. The AFC is tough, like that
last playoff spot came down to the last slate of
games on Sunday. It's tough to get into the playoffs

(23:53):
in AFC because it's a quarterback heavy and quarterback driven
with teams that have had their quarterback for a little
while now and some really really good and great and
legendary coaches are all in the AFC. So as far
as what it voted for the future, I'll wait for that.
I just think now their team that next week they'll
going to someone else's stadium, and I'll judge them more

(24:15):
off of that than what I saw today. They did
what they were supposed to win. They got the dub.
The roster you talk about with the charges I disagree
with because once again, the roster to me, is great.
It's really it's great for what Harball, the coaching staff
and his style want to do and want to accomplish. Remember,
Dristley came out of nowhere five years in Seattle, and
he had more more targets too too, catches sixteen yards. Yeah,

(24:38):
but he's coming back from injury.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
But that was the point. I make it like he
got hurt. He was out eman some time. But let's
go ahead and talk to the guy who was in
the game wide receiver Nico Collins of the Houston Texas Nico,
thanks for joining Useral Fox Sports Radio, no doubt.

Speaker 4 (24:50):
Thanks for having me, no doubt.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
Martin white Joy here with with VJ. Husky. Nico, congratulations.
First one, we ask you how you feeling after that game?
Physical and both.

Speaker 4 (25:00):
Feeling good man. I'm feeling good man, A great team
winning at home front of your sayings, Man, no better feeling.
You know, we're going to take every four quarters to
go out there and just be us.

Speaker 7 (25:10):
Man.

Speaker 4 (25:10):
I feel like everybody left it all out there all right,
and you end up getting to win.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
Nico Jmiko Ryan said after the game that c J.
Stroud fumbling the snap and then picking it up and
delivering that ball to Xavier Hutchinson that sparked the entire team.
What was it like before and after and what's it
like having a guy like CJ being your quarterback.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
Man, it's amazing. It's amazing. Man. You see the type
of the play.

Speaker 7 (25:33):
Maker he is.

Speaker 4 (25:34):
You know, he's calm, closed, you know he never panicked,
and and he can make plays like that. You know,
we know no type of guys up in this man
and the Scott's de limits for him. Man, I'm glad,
I'm glad he's my quarterback. He's our quarterback, man, and
but we're seeing to the self warming just a better
understand of the way because went on. You know how
much his team meaning him to us and the win

(25:55):
to the city.

Speaker 6 (25:55):
Man.

Speaker 4 (25:55):
But it's that spark man we needed that. You know,
Sevan is being doing with than does man making play
for the offense end up moving the sticks, man.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
Big play Niko Vija Vernon Husky here brother, big fan
of yours.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
Man.

Speaker 3 (26:08):
Before I ask my question, I say, go blue.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
That's right, Go blue, Go blue, n go blue baby.
All right, man, but listen, you really exploded.

Speaker 3 (26:16):
I always knew that and thought that you could be
a real prominent NFL style receiver. In the last couple
of years, you've shown that you are a legit w
R one like you are that guy out there speak
to us mentally, what it takes for a player when
you're young coming in the league. You're in a tough AFC,
you got a young coach, young quarterback, you're a leader
on this squad. Now, just speak to that, especially moving
to the division around in the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (26:35):
Now, yeah, man, I feel like, man, just just coming in,
just learning. I feel like you got to be a
student of the game. Always have an open mind set,
always willing to learn. And I feel that's what I'm
doing just no matter what, I'm always trying to get
better in my game. I'm always trying to issue and
make plays some teams, you know, just in your teammate,
you know, jump them down on sideline making play. Man,
it's no better feeling than that, you know, And I
feel that to me, I got to continue to go,

(26:56):
continue to grow, have a great mindset, positive outlook when everything, man,
and just have fun with playing football. You know, it's
the same game and playing your entire life. You know,
That's how I see it, And you know, it's no
bigger moment than playing at the highest level and having
fun with it, you know, and just great for every
opportunity I have every time I feel it on the
field man, because in any moment could be gone, you know.
So I feel like just having fun and great for

(27:18):
every opportunity and making plays for the team.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
Now it's something to talk about. Guy making plays. Dereck
Stanley Junior is playing. I mean, you played out of
his mind. Oh my god, two pigs on Justin Herbert
forced to fumble.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
What's it like when you're shitting there on offense knowing, okay,
man and we just have to put the ball.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
You see him go out there and make a play
and it's like, all right, well, not so bad man.

Speaker 4 (27:37):
Man, it's the same man. He's nice, he's silent, killing man.

Speaker 7 (27:40):
We know the type of guy he was.

Speaker 4 (27:41):
You know throughout OTA's camp, you know, going just him,
Kamara man and just the whole secondary d line. Man,
it's a nasty defense and you know, just going get
some boys every day during Camota behind the scenes, people
don't see. Man, that's that's when that's when the ground
come out, you know, that's when the best come out.
That's when the game and just iron shout and iron man,
and I feel like that's who've been doing, just head down,
just working and so on these days like this, you

(28:04):
shine there's nothing, you know, So I feel like for us, man,
he's got a con team to grow, continue to get
better and keep having fun with him. Man, But saying
that dude is different. You know, he deserved everything he
got right now in the shows.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
And Nigo will let you out on this one man.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
In the league, now we're seeing coaches getting just act
and fire after one year where this thing is becoming
exactly it's crazy.

Speaker 2 (28:25):
But you got a young guy over there.

Speaker 3 (28:27):
Man, you gotta you gotta have black coach over there
that that's being able to, you know, build you guys,
being the leader of men. Speak to just what it
means to have coach Ryan's and and how he has
you guys believing in yourself playing well and being a
leader of men.

Speaker 4 (28:40):
Yeah, Man, I feel like just day once he came, Man,
he's a players coach, you know and just sending and
when he coached, man, you know you feel like another player.
You know, he really doesn't feel like a head coach.
But you bring that energy, Man, you still bring that
that leadership that he was when he was a captain
here he was playing. You know, you still feel that
same energy. You know, he always got to smile on

(29:01):
good energy, man, and there's no better feeling to play
for him, man, And he's gonna make you. It's gonna
make you work now, but it's gonna pay you off
in the end, you know. But just a excitement he
bringing in the coaching and the advice. You know, it's
no better feeling they having him on your on our
team and leading the.

Speaker 7 (29:16):
And you know for sure we got his back.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
No, Nico, thanks for coming on the show. Appreciate you
taking some time after the game. You're talking to two guys,
super big Michigan fans out with it. Remember this in
the locker room. Only one team beat Alabama twice in
twenty twenty four, and that's right, it's your University of
Michigan Wolverines. Nico. Congratulations again, best of luck.

Speaker 4 (29:39):
Yes, Sair always man, thank you guys going man.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
Thank you for coming on. That was awesome. That was awesome.
Put that I was about to.

Speaker 9 (29:46):
Say, clip that. That needs to be clipped. The video,
the audio the whole day. We want the audio on YouTube,
and we want the video on Twitter. All right, the
audio on Twitter, the video on YouTube.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
Let's go.

Speaker 3 (29:57):
That was awesome, man.

Speaker 2 (29:58):
Let's while we we just ended that on the college tip.
So let's go ahead and stay there real quick, all right?
Pence State lost, and Ian asked me this question, who's
the bigger loser from Notre Dame advancing? Is that James
Franklin who still has not yet to win a big game,
you know, barely ever be the team in the top
five with three and seventeen? Was that Brian Kelly who

(30:21):
was told you know, I was told by Brian Kelly
this was impossible at Notre Dame.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
Yeah, how about this? I'm not I can't do that, Ian,
I can't pick the biggest What was the loser? I
want to pick the biggest winner?

Speaker 2 (30:32):
Can I do that? Is okay?

Speaker 3 (30:33):
If I do that real quick, I do a curball,
because the biggest winner is mister Marcus Friedman, who when
this whole bracket came out, I told you, I said,
no one's talking about Nordre Dame. This team is physical,
they play tough, and there's something different about Marcus Freeman
when he does the sideline, when he does the pressers like,
it's a different It's not last year and it's not

(30:54):
before the Northern Illinois lost. There's something different with this man,
and it's feeding into his team. So to me, listen, Franklin,
I'll be.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
Honest with you. I'm not gonna put this. He won
two games to get here.

Speaker 3 (31:05):
I don't think it's fair to like say, the guy
he won two ranked games, so, but he didn't beat
this team. This team was better and they made better
coaching decisions. I thought down to stretch and his quarterback
man just played. So Brian Kelly, he's out of this.
I guess to answer your question, it's it's probably James
Franklin because he's still the current head coach of Penn State.

Speaker 6 (31:25):
I just think, well, can I add something there though,
because the fact is it's not that he won those
two games, it's the fact that he's yet to win
a game where he's quote unquote supposed to lose, you know,
like he doesn't win the game like this was. This
was a close game. I know he beats the teams
he's supposed to be exactly.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
But he never does he come in as like an undo. Okay,
the team, Okay, right, you know what I'm saying, Like
he doesn't have the game where hard balls first win
against Ohio State where he was massive underdog, comes in
oh He's not going to get that.

Speaker 6 (31:57):
Tone like we Well, it's a lot to ask, of course,
but if you want to be the head coach of
one of these blue blood programs like that, you need
to be able to, you know, pull one of those
out of here. But everyone, what the.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
College Football Playoff to me has shown more than anything
is college football has always been a sport of the
haves and the have not right, and it's true even
still to this day. Now you can have eras and
you know what, I'd say that Arizona State, for example,
is sneakingly to moving on the way towards the half.

(32:30):
We've seen like Michigan State, remember under D'Antonio, Like they
had about a five six year stretch where they were
like competing to win the Big Ten every in that
stretch and then it kind of came and went. We'll
see teams rise and fall, like Wisconsin with Barry Alvarez.
See teams rise and fall like that. But the reality is,

(32:53):
if you're Pants State, you're James Franklin. Got to know
if I'm on one of those rises, is he going
to be able to get me over the hump? That's
the key, do you know what I mean? Like, can
he get me over the hump. We'll see last night.
I thought, well, not last night, two nights ago. I'm sorry.
I thought they were gonna win that game. At a point,
there's about a point in the third quarter, I said, like,
Nordon Dame's gonna blow this man and make me look bad.

(33:15):
I picked them to win the whole thing. I need
them to take their head out of their butt, right man?
Oh god?

Speaker 3 (33:23):
But yeah, I mean James Franklin, he's the current coach,
Martin so but if you expecting him to beat these teams,
shame on you at this.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
Point, Shame on you.

Speaker 7 (33:31):
Let me go.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
I pick. I thought Boise State might get him, you know.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
But I'm just saying they got one guy, and they
locked him up. Right once they locked up? Gents, what
did Boise State have, guys? Nothing, I'm just saying nothing.
They had nothing to go to at all.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
I'm just glad that, you know what. I'm not gonna
go there.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
That's petty, all right, So just real fast, because you
and I are the same within college football.

Speaker 2 (33:55):
Do you even care who wins this game? Damn care?
Okay I do too, all right, just make it shut.
But we hate them both though, right, yeah, I hate
them both. See, I'll explain to you in just a moment.
I can't lose. Why you can't. I can't lose. I
feel like I lose either way. All Right, all right, Bett,
let's do that. I can't kick that around. Yeah, d
do do what you do. We'll kick Thatt around later,
all right? Coming up, that's coming up, just minting plus two.

(34:17):
This has never before it happened in NFL history? What
will it take to change that? This weekend? Martin White
Vja Husky, Fox Sports Football Saturday.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Martn White's v.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
Jay Husky on a Fox Sports Football Saturday is the
referees are trying to ascertain whether or not Pat Firemouth
got a first down on the last completion. We'll let
you know, VJ. Yep. The reason why I can't lose
in a Notre Dame, Ohio State national championship game. I'm

(34:53):
very interested to hear this because if I Stay wins
the national championship, then they still will have lost to Michigan. True,
and what they will say in the postgame press conference is,
after that lost to Michigan, Ryan, what was it like?
How did your team rebound, So you will sit there

(35:14):
and be reminded, no matter in their highest moment, they
will be reminded of their lowest moment. Right and then
not only that, fast forward, you have to think about
the long game in a game like this, all right,
this is college football rivalries. This is about long, cloaking
dagger stuff.

Speaker 3 (35:28):
Okay, Imagine Ohio State runs through the Big Ten again
until the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Speaker 2 (35:39):
Who loses to Michigan again. Now you have a team
that just won the national championship the year prior, who
will be ready to have pitchforks and torches and storm
the stadium because they will have lost to Michigan for
five years in a row. Do you see what I'm saying. Yeah,

(36:01):
that's what I'm saying. I can't lose if Notre Dame does, well,
that's what they did for running, and the rest of
the end of the rest of college football is finally
gonna hold Notre Dame accountable for running from that September
rivalry they play in almost every album. I was up
on it. I used to be there every year, up
on it, man, and they ran. And now everybody's gonna

(36:24):
be like, well, no to Dame's scheduling this, that and
the third. You know what, come right back up to
Ann Arbor and catch this all right? Anyway, the Denver
Broncos and the Washington Commanders have a chance to make history, VJ.
Do they they? Well, there's only been three rookie quarterbacks
that have won their first career playoff start on the road.

(36:45):
Jayden Daniels and Bo Nicks can join that exclusive club.
We'll talk about the Chargers and the Buccaneers game at
about about forty minutes, But right now, VJ, what do
do you think? What have to happen? Obviously Buffalo is
prohibitive favoriteier. What would have to happen for Denver to make.

Speaker 3 (37:09):
This a game to have a shot here, your rookie
quarterback has to play bonkers. He's got to play out
of his mind. He does like you can't high bow
knicks in this game. It's gonna be on the road.
It's gonna be raucus. Being a Dolphin fan, I've grown
up watching the Buffalo Bills in January.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
They're hard to beat there.

Speaker 3 (37:25):
I don't care how good that team is, or how
great it is, or how average it is, or if
they sneaking a playff.

Speaker 2 (37:29):
It doesn't matter. Guys.

Speaker 3 (37:30):
It's hard to go to Orchard Park in western New
York and play the Buffalo Bills up there. And I
think Sean Payton has the cachet as a head coach
to get it done. I think they got some really
really great players and great pieces and certain hansa all
pro shut down corner, so he's gonna be able to
probably try to take away the best weapon. I think
it's him on Cooper all game long. That's how I mean.

(37:52):
If I'm coaching the Broncos, that's what we're doing, and
putting my best guy or your best guy all down
care for slot outside inside, you stick with this guy
all game long. And also they're gonna have to run
the football, which means they're gonna have to win time
of possession, and it's one of the most overrated stats
when you look at the team stat box when you're
looking at a box sheet. But tomorrow they must hold

(38:14):
the football as long as they possibly can. But they
got to score touchdowns. They cannot kick field goals. And
one last thing, you have to spy Josh Allen all
game long. And I hope they coach their guys don't
go for the pump fate because your brother behind you
has that part cover. Trust me, he don't see nobody open.
Trust your brothers there. You just keep going forward and get.

Speaker 2 (38:38):
This man down.

Speaker 3 (38:39):
If they let Josh Allen make too many plays, they're
gonna get blown out by twenty points or more. And
their quarterback, the rookie quarterback bow niggas got to really
play well. They gotta run the football.

Speaker 2 (38:47):
I agree, he's got to play better, at least than
he did against Cincinnati because they had several opportunities to
win that game that he missed. He had an open
receiver and late in the fourth quarter that would have
been at least a big chunk gain that that didn't
end up coming truishing and playing overtime that didn't work

(39:07):
out either. Derrick Henry is slicing through the Pittsburgh Steelers
and defense right now, hounding. I'm trying to see how
many yards he has because he has been just running.
At least he got fifty one yards on five carries,
and that looks exactly what it looks like, is it
with a long and thirty four It looks like he's
averaging ten yards to carry as he's just in.

Speaker 3 (39:27):
Regular playoff for him. In the Pittsburgh Steelers linebackers absent
making business decisions, plus the offensive lines playing great. When
you see that play right there, just look at them
movement against their will. Watch the push on the line.
Once you can push your opponent out of the way
left or right, you're running back gets a chance to
see what's going on. Pick a hole and go, or

(39:48):
you run RPO like they just tried there with l Jackson.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
You get nothing.

Speaker 3 (39:51):
This is a good Steller defense. Look, we're in the
second quarter. It's only seven to nothing. That's why I
think the Steelers can cover. But you know, just turn
the hand of Derek Henry twenty five times night. Let's
not make this hard. This guy just walk around with
a ten point win.

Speaker 2 (40:03):
The difference between the college football games is one guy said,
let's not make this hard, and the other guy said,
wait a minute, that's the only way I know how
to do it. One loss one to one. Who do
you think did.

Speaker 1 (40:14):
Don't listen the Fox Sports radio radio.

Speaker 2 (40:17):
That's right, and we're broadcasting law from an entire rack
dot com videos ki rack dot com. Well you get
there with the unmaxed election fast free shipping.

Speaker 3 (40:25):
Freerold has a protection and over ten thousand recommended this
dollars tire rack dot com.

Speaker 2 (40:30):
It's the way that tire buying should be. VJ.

Speaker 6 (40:34):
So.

Speaker 2 (40:34):
I don't know about you, but my jaw dropped as
I saw Quinn Yewers drop back to pass get stripped
backed by Jack Sawyer, who his biggest let me not
be shady, I was let to say his biggest play
this year was stopping Jason Levant from getting in the
flag stolen from him. Yeah, by Jason was it was
his biggest pluck.

Speaker 3 (40:52):
But you saw Jack Sawyer really not saving the day,
but make putting the game out of reach.

Speaker 2 (40:59):
Whatever Axis and their ability to try to come back.
When Ye wears two and eighty three yards, two touchdowns
and an interception, Jayden Blue had both of the touchdowns
for Texas. But Ohio State now advances to play Notre Dame,
who that of course, beat Penn State in a game
in which felt like Marcus Freeman decided, I just saw

(41:21):
what Penn State did. I'm not gonna do that because
that just lost them the game. Now, I didn't have
a problem with James Franklin going for the win with
thirty three seconds left and three timeouts, twenty five yards
thirty yards out of field goal range. But the problem
I had with it was it seemed like he wasn't

(41:43):
gonna go for the win until they ran for a
first down on first and ten. Yeah, then he was like,
wait a minute, Oh, let's go, let's go, let's go.
That should be a decision I feel made before that play.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
I'm not sure if you make that decision before that play.
But once again, here's Frankly making a decision game that
money could point to and say probably calls him the game.
I'm not sure I'll do that. What I will do, though,
is that I'm a big guy with body language. I'm
a big guy about just facial expressions, the way people
present themselves physically, because a lot of people think they
can hide themselves by their words, and you can't. All
you gotta do is just use your eyes and watch

(42:16):
what you see. And James Franklin, as that fourth quarter's going,
he did he not look more nervous and nervous and
nervous to you guys, because he damn sure did to me.
So a point that when they're late in the game,
they call a time out He's literally on the field
with his arms class with his thumb in his mouth,
trying to bite his nail, and the assistance next to
him saying something to him. Now, I'm not sure if
he's just locked in and he's trying to figure out

(42:36):
what he's gonna do and dah da da. But then
he assistant had the pat him like, hey, do you
like do you hear me? And he looks at it
like Shakespead, like yeah, yeah, I got you. It Just
I'm like, right there, I look at go They're gonna
lose this game. He's just not there. You look at
Marcus Freeman. Everything's under control. Everybody's communicating, they're they're leaning in,
they're listening to each other, they're pointing, they're yelling out.
They're doing what you see coaches do coming down this
stretch for a chance to go play for the national champions.

(43:00):
Three years ago, you and I sat in that studio
across the hall of the Old One and yelled at
Jim Harball the end of the TCU game.

Speaker 2 (43:08):
What did that look like?

Speaker 3 (43:10):
We are his own dad, His own father is in
the bleacher saying, Jim, you can read Jim, what are
you doing the clock's ticking and he's really sitting there
like frozen. I saw that, and they're going to lose
that game. I saw that last night with James Franklin.
He's just mentally, he's just not that coach that can

(43:31):
just keep calm, stay focused, stay locked in, make the
right decisions.

Speaker 2 (43:34):
And I agree with you.

Speaker 3 (43:35):
I thought he thought, okay, I'll play. I would have
just played for overtime. That's what I would have done.
I wouldn't have tried to go for that. That's a
long length of the field, even a set of four
field goal Have.

Speaker 2 (43:45):
You been moving the ball off game long at will?

Speaker 4 (43:47):
No?

Speaker 3 (43:47):
So what makes you think you're gonna do it right now?
Your quarterback is throwing the ball all over the damn
field to the wrong helmet. Play for overtime. You're safe
right now. But to try to go for it, and
then what ends up happening. His quarterback does what throws
another pick and it sets Notre Dame up for the
winning That's how you walk off and lose. I just
think that this is just who he is. He when

(44:10):
it comes down to the clutch man, he just he
can't out coach his opponent. And that's and Marcus Freeman
just out coached him, even though I thought there were
portions of the game. Look at the game, Singleton ad,
look at the game that kid had.

Speaker 2 (44:21):
You can't waste that. You can't waste that. But why
did he have more carries? Why did he have more touches?
That's coaching.

Speaker 3 (44:27):
When you got a kid that hot, making guys missing
the open field er in the backfield, turning the two
yard loss into an eight yard game, which he did
twice two nights ago, you got to feed that game.

Speaker 2 (44:36):
The number one thing that was just a coaching disaster
is I can understand your wide receivers not having a
catch in the first half, but what are you doing
at halftime? Yeah, if you don't look at the box
and be like, oh wait a minute, we haven't completed
a pass longer than fifteen yards. Know what we need
to do. Let's open it up a bit.

Speaker 3 (44:54):
Let's open it up and throw the ball so and
one through the air for pen State.

Speaker 2 (44:58):
By the way, looking at just fields in the game
right now for Pittsburgh, I thought Mike Tomlin was blowing
smoke when he's because he did kind of allude that
justin fields and Russell Wilson would play a little bit
in this game, but he also alluded to that all
damn year, bad plan, bad plan, bad plan, horrible plan.

Speaker 3 (45:17):
I don't have a problem. I do you do not
in a playoff game at this point? This, Oh my god,
don't make me go off on this right now. And
at this point and then look at the play they call,
oh a roll out. Wow, we know he's gonna do
the read option read excuse me? A read option? All right,
my bad? I saw the back into the play. But
why if you haven't been playing him, why are you
gonna do this and throw You think this is gonna

(45:38):
fool Baltimore. You think this is gonna do something for you.

Speaker 2 (45:41):
It's not.

Speaker 3 (45:42):
It just means that this is kind of your way
showing us you don't have faithit. Russell Wilson, actually go
win this game for you. Counterpoint, why should he look
at the last five games because you're trying to make
us feel like that you did though, but that was.

Speaker 2 (45:53):
Five Like, look at the last five games and tell
me why you shouldn't put justin fields out there for
a player three like man.

Speaker 3 (46:00):
Because if this is the same offense that kids that
kids confidence is look at me like they just showed
him on the sideline. That kid's confidence is shot. That's
why you can't put him in at this point. You
put you benched him when he was winning. He wasn't
losing games, he wasn't throwing games away. They were winning,
and you bitched him. Yeah, and may take a twelve
to thirteen weeks fourth and now kind of come to fruition.

Speaker 2 (46:20):
Just look at this kid's face.

Speaker 3 (46:21):
His confidence is gone, and you're gonna throw him in
a playoff game and try to run a regal player.

Speaker 2 (46:26):
You hear the thing that Arthur Smith say about him.
I don't know why his confidence will be going. They
talk highly about them. They talk highly about him at
every single turn. But let's turn back to college football,
because here's the thing. Here's the National championship game is set.
It's gonna be Ohio State versus Notre Dame. Here's the
thing that I simply don't understand. The script to beat

(46:48):
Ohio State was on display Saturday n An Arbor that
Saturday after Thanksgiving. It was on display, came and when
Texas ran the ball successful they were getting five six
yards of carry. Oftentimes, especially in the second half, Ohio
State is a team that, to me shown until they

(47:09):
show me they can stop to run consistently, I will
not allo. Oh my goodness, it's just gonna be OPI anyway,
Until they show me that they're gonna be able to
stop the run consistently, I will then I'll believe it.
Here is the other thing, though, when Notre Dame showed
me in the last vestiges of that fourth quarter and

(47:31):
in overtime of that game, is they're not afraid to
run the ball. In fact, we'd prefer to run the ball.
I'd rather not rather than a throw. Because the only
throw he had in that last drive was a play
he had a run pass option and saw that the
other guy was literally four yards behind the line of
the first down, had to throw it like had to

(47:52):
throw it because there was two guys in between them.
I believe that Notre Dame is gonna be able to
offensively establish the line of scrimmage on Ohio State, move
those guys and run the rock both quarterback and running back.
That's gonna be the difference, because Ohio State is going
to want to try to move the ball, throw the
ball a ton, and then if they get behind, that's

(48:13):
gonna be trouble because again, like you just said, third
down conversions, you don't know the name US converts them.

Speaker 3 (48:17):
Oh, they're absolutely doing that. One of the best defense.
Their defense is twelfth in the nation. And third down
conversion rate what they allow, so they convert them over
forty percent and they allow under thirty percent as far as.

Speaker 2 (48:29):
Converted to get them.

Speaker 3 (48:30):
But a few things about that game, and just even
to bounce back to Texas, and you mentioned running the football,
they average two yards of carry.

Speaker 2 (48:36):
They ran the ball early.

Speaker 3 (48:37):
But if something happens schematically where they changed the scheme
or maybe the running plays that they were calling and
things just change, they average two yards twenty eight attempts
man for fifty eight yards. It's definitely not going to
get it done. Ohio they didn't do any better. They
only ran for eighty some yards themselves.

Speaker 2 (48:51):
They weren't. They weren't world beaters.

Speaker 3 (48:53):
What Nordon Dame has in this advantage over this game
is their secondary and their defense. And I think that
we'll see that. You saw it even with texas As secondary.
Texas defense, even though you know, Ohio State throws almost
three hundred yards, but it wasn't the big We didn't
see JEREMYH.

Speaker 2 (49:10):
Smith go off like.

Speaker 3 (49:10):
He didn't treat him like he treated Oregon. He didn't
treat him like he treated Yeah, yeah, yeah, well oh
yeah exactly like they say something about his mom at
the park. You know what I'm saying. He had his
three older brothers with him.

Speaker 2 (49:21):
He beat them like that. But my dad said he
beat him like he stole something from church.

Speaker 3 (49:25):
Yeah, your dad had a lot of cool sayings that
I would love to sit and have a beer with
that guy. But it's Notre Dame has the defense and
secondary to hold this offense down. I'm gonna put this
game just on one guy. I got one last chance.
Well I've proved it twice, but I would love three.
Will Howard. Will Howard is the key to this game

(49:46):
if the Norre Dame defense can actually confuse him and
put pressure up the middle, which he does not like,
which Michigan was able to do. As Martin said, we
gave you guys the blueprint. We gave everybody the blueprint.
Stop to run up the middle, apply pressure up the middle.
He does not like to move his feet east and west.
He likes to step up in the pocket. Put the
tape on and Nordre Dame has the secondary guys to

(50:07):
be able. I think to like Jeremi Smith is tremendous,
but he's not gonna just go off against these guys.
I think that's what gives them a chance. And then
to your point too, running the football and now that
you have a quarterback who can run the football two,
that gives it a dual threat. Look, he threw for
over two hundred yards and we didn't see that coming.
He's only averaging I think like one sixty nine a

(50:27):
game for the year. He didn't throw the ball well
at all, but was able to do it against Penn
State and moved the ball. I think that you get
the ball to the tight end, you get the ball
to your running backs. Like you said, Jeremiah Love run
the football, but defensively, you've got to confuse and make
Will Howard uncomfortable. And for the last shot of the year,

(50:47):
as I've been telling you guys all ye long, when
the game is in his hands and then they needed
the most and it's an important game, he'll give the
game away. And I think that's how Nordre Dame is
gonna win this game. Also, both the as JD about this.

Speaker 7 (51:00):
J D.

Speaker 3 (51:00):
Pakel On three college football writer who also does some
college football work over here. Fox were traded to ask
you about this in about an hour. But uh, Quinn
Ewers said it before the game. He's going to the NFL.
How were you, buddy, Yeah, I'd be checking out meal plans,
you know, seeing talking to FAFSA, seeing if I can't

(51:21):
get another year there.

Speaker 2 (51:22):
I never saw it in him. And remember guys, when
when when Arch subbed in for him, You remember the
show we did. I threw it out there.

Speaker 3 (51:28):
I'm like, hey, do we got a quarterback? You know, dude,
do we talk about this a little bit right there?
Gave me a three touches, three passive touchdowns. He had
two rushing touchdown. One was like a sixty two yard
sprint right up the middle. Like I never thought Quinn
was that great. I just in Arch, I'm telling you,
And you saw that. Had Arch in the game like
they put it, man, I think Arch might have won
that game. He might have been interesting to see if

(51:50):
they had put him in on that last play. Because
there's nothing I love more as a football fan watching
guys on the one yard line throw the ball nine
yards backwards.

Speaker 2 (51:58):
To get one.

Speaker 1 (52:01):
Texas.

Speaker 3 (52:01):
Another thing about the Ohio State Texas game two guys,
that third down thing I told you I love. Ohio
State was three and ten. Texas are five and eleven.
They converted enough that this game is twenty one to fourteen.
They're they're walking into the end zone and then someone
just doesn't block a blitzing backer from the outside.

Speaker 2 (52:17):
He hits your quarterback, ball bounces right up in his hands.
He's already in full sprint game set match. You know
why you like third down conversions so much. It's essentially
the same thing as a turnover.

Speaker 3 (52:30):
If you can force and you know how I feel
about turn you can for you know, say, if you
force a third down stop, man, right, if you four
third down stop, then it's I mean the other team
is literally giving the ball back team.

Speaker 5 (52:41):
You know what.

Speaker 3 (52:42):
I've heard a coach say that he counts three and
outs as as as like half a turnover. Yeah, half
of three and out to me is half a turnover
and my DEFENSI guys only got to play three plays
and we get the ball right back.

Speaker 2 (52:52):
You basically turn the ball back.

Speaker 3 (52:54):
Oh yeah, I'm gonna peel the the what does it peel?
The onion, pull the curtain back. That's what I'm gonna
pull the.

Speaker 2 (52:59):
Cart peel the curtain back on the end. This is
what I look for in football teams. I'm evaluating them
in season. Right, third down third down conversion percentage, right,
and it's like, how many do you get to?

Speaker 3 (53:11):
Like look at both the attempts and you know, completions forever.
How many third downs do you get to? How many
do you convert?

Speaker 2 (53:17):
Because if your third down conversion percentage is forty five
percent but you only have six third downs and you
score forty points, I'm not gonna have a big problem
with your offense because you're getting first.

Speaker 3 (53:27):
Say your first and second down players are chunk yards.

Speaker 2 (53:30):
Now, if you're having chunk yards eighteen first downs and
you get twelve of them, it's like, okay, well your
percentages better than fifty percent, But that's a lot of
third downs to get to your offense. May maybe what's
diviticall are you getting penalties? Are you getting negative plays?
Like why is that the case? You know about fifteen
third downs? Where I like teams to be at the

(53:51):
other thing, I look at miss field goals, that's another turnover.
Oh yeah, all right, so missfield goals is another turnover
and then like yardage off punch? How good are they
punching the ball? This game is mostly I read this
on explained like basically is a reddit subreddit that said,
explain football if you're five expand American football people who

(54:12):
never heard of it, and they explained it as a
big game of tug of war in which you get
six points whether one team falls into the end zone.
Ever since then changed my entire thought process. Happening the
ball is everything.

Speaker 3 (54:23):
Yeah, penalty is a big too, And like I said, Texas,
they could have win his game. O highest they had
nine penalties last night for seventy five yards. Like, you
gotta win. You gotta win this game, man, this is
all start this on, start all the way.

Speaker 2 (54:33):
Remember what I told you last year. I didn't this year.
I thought the last year I was like, look at
sark record in big games. Then he ended up going
to the final four last year. So four race, but
final four back to back as he is, Oh yeah,
it's Sark is going on.

Speaker 3 (54:52):
He could be he could be James Franklin. Guys, like, listen,
he got to the final four, right, he got to
the Final four last year.

Speaker 2 (54:58):
He could be James. He could be a better James Franklin.

Speaker 6 (55:00):
We've seen him beat teams like Alabama.

Speaker 2 (55:01):
I was about to say, I don't think James Franklin
had ever beat Alabama. He beat Alabama just like.

Speaker 3 (55:05):
Coach Johnny Manziel when he beat Alabama.

Speaker 2 (55:07):
Do we remember him, Kevin someone? Okay, so yes we do?

Speaker 3 (55:11):
All right, Well nothing, I'm saying that for a point though,
right like he beat Alabama. Okay, that's sorry to be Alabama.

Speaker 6 (55:20):
Okay, Well, it's just responding to you saying he's James Franklin.

Speaker 3 (55:27):
Franklin's beating somebody beat Did he beat Ohio State one year?
Hasn't James Franklin beat Ohio State one time? With Saquon Barkley?

Speaker 2 (55:34):
I do not believe? So wo is he old?

Speaker 1 (55:36):
Four?

Speaker 2 (55:36):
Is James Franklin o for against Ohio State? James Franklin, Now.

Speaker 3 (55:41):
That that'll surprise me if that's if that's a true stat.
Right now, I'm done giving out.

Speaker 2 (55:45):
Franklin has lost eleven consecutive games against Ohio State and Michigan.

Speaker 3 (55:50):
And I know he beat him with six Okay, so
he's got one, right So there, So you can say Franklin's.

Speaker 2 (55:57):
Beating Ohio State.

Speaker 3 (55:58):
Yeah, yeah, Okay, that's the point I'm making about bat
What the point is though, The point is though he's
four and sixteen against them, both of them.

Speaker 2 (56:08):
Wow. Yeah, he's beating Ohio State exactly one time. One time.
It's beating Michigan three times during our down years, during
the downtime. He ain't doing it now. Speaking of the
down years, those seem to be over for one NFL
playoff team. But will the good vibes continue into next week?
We'll get to that, just a woman. Martin Wise v
Jaowski Fox Sports footballs Saturday football fans, be sure to

we come to you live from the tire rack dot
Com studios. Feel free to get us on Twitter. I'm
at Martin wise EJ at big Vanilla funny as Lamar
Jackson just with one of those no, no, stop, what
are you doing? Oh wait, never mind, that's going to
be a touchdown type of plays that him and only
a handful of men in the world can make that

(57:15):
type of play. And now the Ravens lead the Steelers
twenty one to nothing going into the half.

Speaker 3 (57:21):
Yeah, man, just L Jackson. We're all in the Enginet
room watching it, and I'm seeing the clock tick down,
so of course I'm like, all right, bro, gotta get
rid of it. You gotta get rid of it. Gotta
get rid of the ball. He steps up and does
and just does an L. Jacks type thing, and then
I just start shouting out, Dan's your MVP. Day's your
MVP right there, which I think it should be. I
wanted to be Saquan, but we're not gonna talk about
nothing Eagles or saquon this show.

Speaker 2 (57:42):
I don't want to. I don't want to have to
dump button over here. We actually are going to talk
about the Eagles. Got about an hour for now, but
I mean, it's sorry, it's only the two seven game,
like it's just the highest rated NFC team going out.

Speaker 3 (57:55):
Yeah, hey, I got you a quick tweet. Look and
this is really cool though, man from Brendan Brody. He's
the great listener, always that. Brennan at Underscore B eight
one says at Martin Wis's at Big Vanilla, funny much
loved to Fox Sports Radio and who are affected by
the LA wildfires. Martin and I both had to evacuate
from where we live and go take cover. I say,

(58:16):
hunker down somewhere else until we can get back home.
But he says, now for my sports take, I gotta
act Tom Brady, what do you think in firing ap
and and to LESCo? These two drafted arguably the best
tight end in the NFL, and the defense was decent end.

Speaker 2 (58:31):
Quote Martin, I think they competed under Antonio Pierce. I
think they tried.

Speaker 1 (58:35):
They tried.

Speaker 2 (58:37):
Yeah, they did compete an get like that was ever
like For example, last year we saw the Chargers lose
a game sixty three to twenty one and again on
Thursday night where they the twenty one points they got
after there was not enough players on the bench to
sub in for starters, like the Raiders were pulling fans

(58:59):
out of this stands to play left tackle running by
the end of that. Yeah, you're right, you know, right,
He's like, I got I got the right tackle, I
got him, I got it five dollars. You know that's
how Down said. What right? Yeah, it was just you know,
it's just a total embarrassment that never happened for this
generation's Raiders, this year's Raiders, I will say Antonio Pears,

(59:19):
in my opinion, was d O a dead on arrival
as soon as he got the job. And it really
it wasn't as soon as he got the job. It
was as soon as Tom Brady bought the team. You
don't spend all that money on something. Even though Brady
got a sweetheart deal. Guess what, it's still a sweetheart
deal on a billion is still a whole hell of

(59:41):
a lot of millions. Yeah right, You don't spend all
that money to keep things the same. No, it's the.

Speaker 3 (59:46):
Raiders deal, Brendan. I don't know, man, I don't. I
don't have an answer for you. And I know I
got an answer for every damn thing, but I don't
have an answer for this one. I don't know where
they go, I don't know what they do. They don't
have the number one picks and they're not gonna get
your door, and you know, depending upon the Titans do.
Because I just don't think his dad wants him playing
in Tennessee. That's another conversation for another show. But I
have no idea what's going on there, brother, So I

(01:00:08):
would just take Martin's answer and run with it. Another one,
just really fast. You know, our got Romiro, little Chewy
Rent Cone. It always hits us up. I'm saying that
I'm going to readers with because I love this right here.
Gotta love Saturday Nights with Martin White's and at Big
Vanilla Funny on Fox Sports Radio. But listening to you

listen to Martin VJ right now.

Speaker 2 (01:00:41):
I appreciate you a little Chewi.

Speaker 3 (01:00:42):
I don't know how many people are in the car
because I'm pretty sure Houston is covered in snow?

Speaker 7 (01:00:46):
Oh is it?

Speaker 1 (01:00:47):
I heard?

Speaker 3 (01:00:48):
I know Dallas got dumped on. It's been east right
the whole nation.

Speaker 1 (01:00:53):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:00:53):
Yeah, a lot of weather going on. Hot and cold.
Speaking of hot and cold, Vja's been hot and cold
on this player for most of his career, but it
is now reaching arctic freezing temperatures to the point where
it might just be time to say goodbye. And what's
what's the what's the evac playing for lack of a

(01:01:14):
better term, for one AFC Nors team. But first we'll
go to Steve de Seger for everything trending in the
world of sports, including a stafty wild card butt whooping.

Speaker 7 (01:01:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:01:23):
You cannot overemphasize how dominant that first half was for
the Ravens in Baltimore tonight. It is twenty one to
nothing over the Steelers at the break. Nineteen first downs
to two in the first half for the Ravens. This
was the Pittsburgh offense in the first half. Punted on
your first four drives and then took a knee in
the first half.

Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
Wow, that's your highlight.

Speaker 8 (01:01:45):
Derrick Henry thirteen carries one hundred yards rushing and a
touchdown in the first half Lamar Jackson two TD passes.
These are the three.

Speaker 2 (01:01:55):
Scoring drives for Baltimore.

Speaker 8 (01:01:57):
Thirteen plays ninety five yards over seven minutes, then on
Derrick Henry's touchdown drive and eight yard CD to finish it,
thirteen plays eighty five yards nearly eight minute drive, and
then in under two minutes nine plays ninety yards twenty
one nothing Ravens.

Speaker 2 (01:02:15):
In the lead.

Speaker 8 (01:02:15):
Total yardage three oh eight to fifty nine. Can we
just say out loud the Steelers are about to lose
their fifth game in a row and finish ten and
eight and meekly exit the postseason. We had an earlier
AFC Wildcard game at Houston. The Chargers led on the
road six nothing late first half. Texans take the game

(01:02:36):
thirty two to twelve. Justin Herbert, who threw three interceptions
all season through four today and was sacked four times
and yes, was under constant pressure. In fact, he was
literally statistically pressured on half of his dropbacks and eleven
different times today. Herbert was under pressure in less than

(01:02:57):
two and a half seconds. Chargers finish eleven and seven
this year. Three more playoff games on Sunday, including the
one on Fox TV. Packers at Eagles four thirty pm
Eastern time. The Rams Monday night game against the Vikings
will be in in Arizona due to the LA fires.
No Lakers home game tonight, No Clippers home game tonight
due to the fires in Los Angeles, Houston, and Atlanta,

(01:03:19):
and the NBA postponed by the winter storm. Phoenix beat
Utah one fourteen one Zho six, Devin Booker thirty four points.
Detroit has defeated Toronto one twenty three to one fourteen,
and there are only two other games starting in a
half an hour. Portland hosts Miami and currently the Grizzlies
in the third lead at Minnesota eighty to seventy eight.

(01:03:39):
College basketball Number one Tennessee did wind up with a
victory at Texas seventy four seventy and number two Auburn
won sixty six sixty three in.

Speaker 2 (01:03:48):
A comeback at South Carolina.

Speaker 8 (01:03:50):
And this college football note from Fox's Bruce Feldman that
the athletic has learned through multiple sources about Carson Beck,
the ex Georgia quarterback that he set to received from
Miami channels. He's transferring to the Hurricanes. Yeah set to
receive a little over three million dollars, roughly double what
cam Ward earned through the Miami Collective.

Speaker 2 (01:04:11):
Back to you, yeah, I saw that things are getting
out of hand here. I saw that. Well. I don't
have any problem fundamentally with Carson Beck making three million dollars,
but the idea that he is worth double what cam
Ward is worth is, in sanities.

Speaker 6 (01:04:25):
Double what most rookies are worthy.

Speaker 2 (01:04:27):
That's the other thing, right, right, that's the other thing.
If I'm the NFL, I gotta be looking at this thinking, hey,
y'all need to chill down there, because you're looking at quarterbacks. Like,
who was I thinking about a guy like Drew Aller

(01:04:51):
for example?

Speaker 7 (01:04:52):
Right?

Speaker 2 (01:04:52):
I think we were talking about this last week, you
and I, Right, Like, what's to say that Drew Aller?
Who I know? Couple of weeks everybody was like, oh,
he might be QB one and watch college football, and
you'll find out that is far from the truth. The
best way to suss to like suss out if somebody
had watched college football all year is if they said,
after what is that Boise State game? That Drew Aller

(01:05:14):
was QB one. But that's how you know you're not.
You haven't been here long. That's Okay, just keep your
opinions to yourself until you've learned a little bit more.
But so there's my point. I don't know how much
he's making in nil, but I know it's probably if
if if Carson Beck's making three million dollars, Drew Aler
got to be making a couple hundred thousand right to

(01:05:36):
be the quarterback at Penn State, would you rather be
the quarterback at Penn State for a couple hundred thousand
with the chance, like if they had won this game,
for example, his nil is gonna go straight up right
where you can be in this economy where you can
get a three. I mean, Carson Carson Beck would never
get three million dollars in the NFL, and he's gonna

(01:05:58):
get it in Miami like now. But I think you
end up with the reason I bring it up. You
went like Drew Allers and Carson Becks and so on,
that's supposed to be the floor of what NFL quarterbacking is.
Dang right, No, I'm being serious. I know you are.
That's what I'm saying. Those guys come into the league

(01:06:18):
and they become Mike Whitees and you know, Skyler Thompson's
and I'm not even trying to pick on Dolphins. Those
just two that popped into my head. And there're two
bad backups. That's okay.

Speaker 3 (01:06:26):
I died watched the Maria Thompson Robinson's and so on
and so forth. Right now, you want to Hindley's name
in there too.

Speaker 2 (01:06:31):
Well, he actually did make it, famously made a Pro Bowl.
But some of these are but like some of these
guys come out and you see immediately, oh, this is
not working at all. That's generally who those guys are.
It's to make three million dollars. So if I'm like
that kid who has played at North Dakota who just
committed to forget, but he committed to the NFL draft

(01:06:52):
and ended up switching in I think he committed to
Duke or I forget where he went.

Speaker 3 (01:06:57):
But the guy was like a guy who had a
shot to be one of those quarterbacks that kind of
comes out of nowhere, could have ros in the draft
and all of that. Like we've seen Carson Wentz get
drafted third overall or Geno second or whatever he was drafted,
But we've.

Speaker 2 (01:07:09):
Seen these guys get drafted from the small schools. I
think his name was Glewinsky.

Speaker 6 (01:07:13):
Mark Gronowski committed to Iowa.

Speaker 2 (01:07:15):
Thank you. He committed to Iowa, right, But he probably
made more at Iowa than he would have if he
tried to make it in the NFL for the first
three or four years. I don't. My thing is this is,
this is what it is. Though I don't have now
do I think he deserves three million dollars?

Speaker 3 (01:07:33):
What's the going rate for a Porter quarterback? That's what
it comes down to to me, what's the three million? Yeah,
what's the going rate? The going right right now is
three mil? I mean Bryce Underwood. Okay, let's get real.
What is Michigan giving a kid that hasn't played it down?
I get we can throw that out there, But to me,
this just is what it is. He was gonna transfer,
He was gonna go somewhere else. Everybody knows. They want

(01:07:55):
him to go with Gunner stocked him down at Georgia.
Everybody knows it. So I'm getting out of here. Okay,
what are you willing to pay? What if you're Miami, right,
you just paid cam Ward and that didn't pan out, right,
you didn't get to the college football playoffs.

Speaker 2 (01:08:07):
You gotta go do it again.

Speaker 3 (01:08:09):
Because if you didn't, if you thought you could get
to the college football player with which you have, you
went and paid cam Ward, you the eighth this year,
knowing you had a kid you were grooming, Let him play,
let him get better. Then next year twenty twenty five,
Oh yeah, we got our guy. No, you don't have him.
That's why you ain't got cam Ward. That's why you
gotta go get Carson back. And I heard somebody else,
I believe he was on over in the Mouse this
morning that says he knows of two or three top

(01:08:31):
receivers that are gonna follow back there to Miami because
they got some portal money to spend.

Speaker 2 (01:08:36):
This is just where we are now. Do I think
he's worth that, No, he's gonna make more.

Speaker 3 (01:08:41):
He's gonna make more to Brock Party. Rock Party doesn't
make three million dollars and he's played in a super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (01:08:48):
That's what I'm saying. There's a left like it just
it just the money makes it in that courtyard. But
the but the money is gonna make this weird for
lack of I don't know what the word is I'm
looking for, but it's gonna be very awkward when because
I don't think Carson Beck is any good. Right. I
think Sir Door Sanders has been famous his whole life,

(01:09:10):
has been rich his whole life, and will be very
good at being famous and rich going forward. Right. And
I think cam Ward is now at the has recal
level where he's got the famous used to, has gotten
used to being paid, but still he's not gotten paid
his entirety of his college like he came from a
carnate ward like, like he had to build this up
to where the NFL is still a step up. When
what happens for the next Caleb Williams, who is the

(01:09:32):
man from day one whose dad is not Dion Sanders, Right,
he's the man. Okay, Bryce hun actually make a mail.
Bryce Underwood starts for three years, he balls out, and
all of a sudden the NFL is there. It's like,
you know, normally you if you start for three years
in college, you're probably gonna jump to the NFL as

(01:09:52):
a junior. Right, Okay, makes sense. But brix Hunderwood looks,
he says, hold on, win a minute. I'm gonna make
more money next year at Michigan that I will if
you're tired in my rookie deal then how does it
work when he gets to the league and it's not
even like we're not talking about offensive line, like we're
talking about the premier position in the sport. It's gonna
change the dynamic.

Speaker 3 (01:10:13):
I just think the NFL either, you're gonna have to
change the rookie contracts the way it used to be
for these Remember Sam Bradford was the last famous guy
of quarterback coming in and getting that big money when
they have improved, and that was the storyline in Oh,
he hasn't proved himself. They have approved himself. These number
one picks, these top quarterback picks, you're paying them.

Speaker 2 (01:10:28):
All his money.

Speaker 3 (01:10:29):
And this guy over here did this, and this guy yeah,
when that guy was drafted in the fifth round, Okay,
so I'm sorry that he was drafting him on overall
he was drafted one ninety seven. Like that's just the way.
That's just the way it goes. But I will argue
this for Carson Beck, and this would be a smart
move for me if what if Carson backs feels kind
of how you feel, or the people or his handles
feel kind how you feel. He's not a bona five
superstar NFL quarterback, So why not hit the portal and

(01:10:49):
go grab three mil.

Speaker 2 (01:10:51):
There are some players that there got Listen, not Bryce.

Speaker 3 (01:10:53):
Underwood is who we hope he especially me, who I
anticipated and hope him to be. He's not been thinking
about the money of the contract because when he gets
to the league, he's already gonna have a Nike deal
for fifty sixty million dollars on their data, He's gonna
on so many They got so many deals because when
you're doing nil during college, you don't think you're not
not not hobbing and shaking the kissing babies around these

(01:11:14):
other big corporations. You're already being paid by corporation. It's
just through the university. You're already being paid by one.
So by the time you get to the NFL, I
don't think players will balk at the rookie contract when
I'm about to sign this sixty million dollars Nike deal
because I just wore Nike or Jordan while was at Michigan.

Speaker 2 (01:11:29):
I mean, but then you end up with a problem
that the NBA has, which is you end up making
more money playing with your endorsements. Do you play actually
do play in the sport? And you know what that
means you don't have to play the sport all the time.

Speaker 3 (01:11:45):
So you think load management will start to see pitza,
oh you can went down a rabbit hole.

Speaker 7 (01:11:49):
I like this.

Speaker 2 (01:11:50):
See we already have quarter, we already had. No, there's
already teams. I love, there's already are There are teams
that already a Week E team I got had I mean,
who is it? The chief said? The freaking Drake May
said no, no, the Chase got the one sheet. At
least Drake May didn't play Week E team. That's right. Yeah, yeah,
like there are teams already doing this, did you gotta see?

Speaker 3 (01:12:08):
Jerry Jones addressed the money that would have been paid
to Cooper Rush for starting a certain percentage of like
it was like fifty five or sixty percent of plays,
and he was at like fifty he would have been
he was like right there, he would have qualified. And
Jerry Jonson actually, yeah, Jerry Jones actually addressed that. I
actually I didn't even know about that. You didn't You

(01:12:30):
run the franchise, bro and you don't know about every
red penny, every red pity that gets paid to everybody.
You don't know about that, especially the guy calling the
place and saying down, set hike, come on man.

Speaker 2 (01:12:42):
But I am of the belief that you work for
who pays you the most, and it's been working so
far from me in my career. But you work for
who pays you the life period. So when you're looking
at you, when I look at the NBA, like I
know that Jason Tatum works for the Boston Celtics, but but.

Speaker 3 (01:13:01):
You make it more than maybe he's better this. He's
got that back now.

Speaker 2 (01:13:05):
But like these guys were coming up, they made more
with the Nike Seal, like they make more Jordan Deale
and were singing for State Farm than they do playing
Tuesday and Thursday Night. And you know, it's a lot
easier singing for State Farm. So I think it's something
like it's it is. I don't know what it is yet.
Maybe it's not even worth talking about on the radio

(01:13:25):
until it is something. I don't think we'll get it
in a low management in NFL. It will we already
were no. Week eighteen I think is excluded.

Speaker 3 (01:13:32):
I just don't see somebody going we're giving our running
back a veteran's week in week seven and in week ten.

Speaker 2 (01:13:40):
And week twelve.

Speaker 3 (01:13:41):
That's not gonna happen in this game. Not in football.
There's way too much pride, there's way too much physicality,
there's way too much. You can't just take guys off
of football phieldy thing. You can just earn certain them
back in. It doesn't work that way.

Speaker 2 (01:13:53):
I'm telling you right here, right now about when I
was in college. I'll never forget walking across the street,
Church Street, getting the notification that Pop was sitting his players.
I said, this will never take Like, guys, he's just
gonna so he's gonna sell the game. They never this
will never take off. In the end, this means you
was wrong.

Speaker 3 (01:14:11):
Just means you're wrong at the NFL is not going Mark,
I'm a stand on Listen, We're gonna know each other
for years, dude. So we'll we'll, we'll, we'll rehash this
year's down the line. We will, we'll bring it up line.
NFL Week eight team doesn't count.

Speaker 2 (01:14:24):
No, that you know it does.

Speaker 3 (01:14:25):
I am putting a extract there that Week eight team
does come on because they've been doing that for thirty
years now. The teams with nothing to play for. No,
that's no, that's nothing to play for. Resting starters is insane.
But now that's why I brought up that contract thing.
If you can't, I if you can just maybe dig
into this dude to deliver the show whatever. But was
there some type of instead of make Wood that Drake
Maywood have it because I'm with Mary wouldn't have I

(01:14:47):
don't know, but his.

Speaker 2 (01:14:48):
Rookie contract is pretty standard. It wouldn't have been incentivizing
that way. But oh god, I just had him. Taekwon
didn't play. Who else didn't.

Speaker 3 (01:14:56):
Taekwon didn't play. The Chiefs sat ten guys. That okay,
So then you can't say number one seed. If I
can't say Week eighteen, you can't say number one seed.
I mean, I don't like it, but I can at
least understand.

Speaker 2 (01:15:06):
All right, And I don't like Week eighteen, but I
can at least understand. It's the same thing I can understand.
If you're not playing for anything, then what are you doing? Bryce?
Like if Bryce Shung had sat for Carolina, that's embarrassing.

Speaker 3 (01:15:16):
I know this se that's my b wa tex neither
too y awesome, y'all, y'all played during the week, y'awomeu
and this we don't respond to any of the text
y'allo that we don't respond to one.

Speaker 2 (01:15:26):
It's not yowso suckers man. Coming up next, we'll play
a game of who you Got? Speaking of another team
that load manages the Los Angeles Rams, they played in
Minnesota Vikings. That'll be the team Martin and Vida Fox
Sports Radio coming to you liar for the Tirec dot
Com Studios, Pittsburgh and Baltimore. Back added twenty one to
nothing ten minutes left in the third quarter. Martin wis VJ.

(01:15:50):
Huskyn coming to you live from the Tireck dot Com Studios.
Let's play a Vikings in Rams edition of Who you Got?

Speaker 7 (01:16:00):
Was that Mary.

Speaker 1 (01:16:04):
All right?

Speaker 6 (01:16:04):
Who you got? Like Martin said, this week's edition is
Vikings versus Rams. So just a quick refresher here how
the game works. I'm thinking of someone who has something
to do with either of these two franchises, whether it
be a player or executive coach, whatever, could be at
any point in NFL history.

Speaker 2 (01:16:19):
Last week, yeah, who was David last week? Yep? Good stuff.

Speaker 6 (01:16:25):
So moving on to this week, Let's start with the
first clue here. This guy was drafted in the first
round and was the second highest drafted player in his
school's history.

Speaker 2 (01:16:36):
Second highest drafted player in his school's history in the
first round, m Mitchell Trubisky. No, that's not a bad
guess at all, because Lord Taylor would be the first.

Speaker 3 (01:16:48):
Marse Taylor went to North Carolina Baby ACC player of
the Year as a defender.

Speaker 2 (01:16:55):
Anyway, I will go with first round draft pick for
I can't be second high Matthew Stafford because he was
the number one. He can't be the second highest.

Speaker 6 (01:17:07):
Not Matthew Stafford. Next up. He has played in eleven
seasons in the NFL for five different teams, and I'm
not going to tell you whether he's still active yet.

Speaker 2 (01:17:17):
Eleven seasons, five teams, so either he was pretty good
or not that good, like he was a second player
drafted off.

Speaker 6 (01:17:25):
You know, Geovanni and Clowney Nope, Danil Hunter Nope. Neither
are bad guesses. Next clue here. He has played in
two Super Bowls, but unfortunately he lost both.

Speaker 2 (01:17:41):
Lost both Super Bowls. So he's not somebody from this
most recent Rams because they won the Super Bowl. You
have to think of the losing teams. It's not Seattle
because he would have been there when they won the
year prior. Maybe it's a Viking. Dante Colpe, No, that's

(01:18:04):
a hell of a guess about the next clue. Matt Ryan, Nope,
not Matt Ryan.

Speaker 6 (01:18:15):
This one may help narrow it down. He's reached one
thousand yards six times in his career, but rush at
or receiving, but he's never made a Pro Bowl or
All Pro team. So he said, you're not going to
tell you're rushing or receiving.

Speaker 2 (01:18:29):
Yam, So it all was.

Speaker 6 (01:18:31):
He's reached one thousand yards six times in his career,
but never made a Pro Bowl or All Pro team.

Speaker 2 (01:18:36):
Aaron Jones No. Two Super Bowls, eleven seasons, five teams.
Reggie Bush No, next one.

Speaker 6 (01:18:50):
He reached one thousand receiving yards on the season for
four different franchises, so he was successful for four different franchises.

Speaker 2 (01:18:58):
Randy Moss No, getting warmer. Brandon Marshall No.

Speaker 6 (01:19:06):
Definitely getting warmer though. Chris Carter No next up here.
He won the bullet Nikoff Award at Oregon State in
twenty thirteen.

Speaker 2 (01:19:14):
Oregon State. J Housman Zada, No.

Speaker 6 (01:19:18):
No, No.

Speaker 2 (01:19:19):
Brandon Cooks.

Speaker 6 (01:19:20):
It is Brandon Cook weeks in a row playing thank
you play My music? So there was only only one
more clue, and it would have been. He was the Saints'
first round draft pick in twenty fourteen.

Speaker 2 (01:19:31):
Ironically enough, you just started with that one out of
Brandon Cooks Oregon State nineteenth pick, right twentieth twenty. That's
damn impressing. So second highest picked that first, that first pick.
That's why I was trying to go with. I was
trying to figure out it.

Speaker 6 (01:19:48):
Was literally it was in like the nineteen fifties. It
was like the highest was in nineteen fifty or something.
That's a great clue, that's a great receiver. But I
didn't want to give away the position.

Speaker 2 (01:19:57):
I got you Vikings Rams Who wins Vikings? It was
it wasn't a true question. Now, I think because of
everything that's going on, that's gonna be hard for those guys. Man,
we'll pick that game and all the rest of them
coming up in just a minute.

Speaker 1 (01:20:14):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:20:17):
That's right, and we're broadcasting live from the tire rack
dot com studiosi iraq dot com. Well, you get there
with an unmaxed selection, fast, free shipping, freewand has a
protection and over ten thousand recommended in dollars. Tire i
Rack dot Com. It's the way that tire buying should
be VJ. Steve Desager just outlined it. That's the second time.
That's the second time today that Derreck Henry has scored

(01:20:37):
in the midst of a Steve di Seger update. So
that's how you know things aren't going well for Pittsburgh.

Speaker 3 (01:20:43):
A shocking lack of compete on the defensive side of
the ball, for me, is the story here, even though
Pittsburgh's offense.

Speaker 2 (01:20:49):
Has not been able to move the ball either. Oh yeah,
the offense. Hmmm when it was quarterback in that this
game's over. Man, we look dumb picking the steals the cover.
I mean, nine and a half might still happen, but
I also think this game is over. So with that,
we normally save this for college teams, but let's go
ahead and do it now. It's time for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

(01:21:13):
You are now board in Cancoon Airlines with direct flights
right from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, right down there to Mexico. Enjoy
your vacation, Enjoy the margarite is because you're only about
eighteen minutes away. This not just them.

Speaker 3 (01:21:29):
We can also add to Texas Longhorns. We can add
to Penn State and Nitney Lions, and to much of
my own chagrin, the Los Angeles Chargers. You guys can
book your beautiful stay at any resort around the nation
because you're gonna be needed and I have to get eliminated.
All these teams too, any of the very competitive are
just embarrassing fashions either or make sure you get your

(01:21:49):
sun green, sunscreen, sunblock. Make sure you go jet ski
and Paris scaling, and don't forget to do the expedition.
You get to kiss the dolphins. That's always fun. Plenty
of pina coladas, those little pineapples, and tell them to
keep them coming, and add extra shots of the key.

Speaker 2 (01:22:05):
Happy hours every day from the pool from four to six.
Buffet starts seven thirty. Nightly in the green room, have
crapcakes and they have crabcakes. I'll be there.

Speaker 3 (01:22:14):
Oh right, they have crawdcakes.

Speaker 2 (01:22:15):
Grab some for me because I love cradcakes. Coming up. Well,
let's do this right now, though we'll transition from here
saying goodbye to those teams those pick the games that
are about to happen. We both in the book right now.
For Steelers plus nine and a half, keep your fingers
crossed on that one. But for the rest of them,
let's go ahead and you're up. All right, there we.

Speaker 6 (01:22:35):
Go, We got the music going. So now it is
time to update you fellas for how the regular season went,
because we've been doing these picks all year long, so
how to turn out? First, we will touch on atomic
dogs really quick. VJ a victorious season for you. Picking
the underdogs twenty two to fifteen was the final there,
so VJ, well done, congratulations in order that makes.

Speaker 2 (01:22:55):
Some extra money this football. So I'm about to say
that's so profitable, pig. What is that twenty two and
fifteen you said? So that's thirty seven underdowenty two for VJ,
fifteen ft for you.

Speaker 3 (01:23:07):
Oh okay, all right, So we did three every week
and three times eighteen would be I don't know, fifty anyway,
fifty four to fifty four underdogs. I mean that's I'll
take you that's printing money. Yeah, anyway, I made some
money this all season at all. But anyway, we're getting
to how the picks actually went, so I guess we'll

(01:23:29):
do it like this. So how week eighteen went?

Speaker 6 (01:23:31):
First?

Speaker 2 (01:23:32):
So set up?

Speaker 6 (01:23:34):
Where were we before going into Yeah, sounds like one
game day you were, you were ahead by one. You
had a one game league going in now against the spread.
We did five games per usual, and you both went
four and one against the spread. Well done there, But
we also added two extra games, which were the Jets
versus Dolphins and the Lions versus Vikings games. So that

(01:23:58):
was that was what ultimately made the different here because
Martin went to and O on those games and VJ
you unfortunately went oh and two. So Martin won by
one game on the season. Guys, that is so press
one game. What was the final records? I just want
to renal records were Martin fifty one and thirty four,

(01:24:20):
VJ fifty and thirty five. But there is a kicker
here that we've been waiting for, VJ. Because the game
that ultimately made the difference was the Dolphins and Jets
and them bomb ass. Jets ultimately lost your season picks
for you.

Speaker 2 (01:24:42):
Because you remember, remember because remember we picked the Lions
and the Vikings.

Speaker 10 (01:24:49):
Game earlier in the show, so we threw that in
there and the last and I remember, yeah, the last
wait one, last one, yeah, the.

Speaker 3 (01:25:00):
Yet the Dolphins, I said Jets would take the Dolphins
out back like old Jeller and put those playoff chances.

Speaker 2 (01:25:06):
To so it ended up being the bum ass Jets'
cast you from a tie to a win. No, no,
are you serious? That was the games, remember the VJ
That was the last one. Difference, that's the last one

(01:25:29):
we threw it on. At the very end, I.

Speaker 3 (01:25:33):
Called I caught Shenanigans because my mind, my brains, because
now I'm pissed how the fund's gone and the Lafts
got the fund's gone left?

Speaker 2 (01:25:43):
Did we not add the Panthers into this two and
b y that won it again this week? We haven't
past weeks. We did in past weeks. Bother me all
damn off season.

Speaker 6 (01:25:54):
Here's the good news, though, VJs. You have a chance
right away to get your get back because we were
doing an highly separate picks round here for the playoffs postseason.

Speaker 2 (01:26:04):
Regular season is over.

Speaker 6 (01:26:05):
Regular season's over, so we can start here. The game's
going on today, We're gonna skip those obviously.

Speaker 2 (01:26:10):
Well, we're both in for Steelers nine and a half,
so that should count.

Speaker 6 (01:26:13):
Yeah, true, yeah, we both that will count. But next
up we will go to the Denver Broncos, going to
Orchard Park to face the Buffalo Bills. Bills are favored
by nine and a half points. Here seems a little big.
I don't know, what do you guys think? Do you
know the weather in Buffalo?

Speaker 2 (01:26:28):
Real quick? Let me look this up. I'm sorry, I
should have looked this up.

Speaker 3 (01:26:31):
It's all good. I'll jump on this and I'll go first.
Forty seven and a half over under, which means this is.

Speaker 2 (01:26:38):
Either a blowout. For the record, thirty three is thirty three,
thirty three with a twenty percent humidity. Yeah, so it's
not gonna be like this terrible cold freezer frigid game. Listen.

Speaker 3 (01:26:48):
I bang on them all the time. I think I
have every right to, but I'm I think Josh Oppa
turn over. Allen and this Buffalo team they do what
they do in wildcard rounds. They dismantled teams that go
up there. The only team that had a shot. If
you guys remember when Philip River took the Coats up
there about four years ago and misses a wide open
guy on the post corner of the ends. I think
it was downs in the corner of the end zone
and that kind of they led to a field goal.
They didn't scored a touchdown and then Buffalo got going.

(01:27:10):
Even the Dolphins up there a few years ago with
the backup quarterback putting up thirty one, but the Buffalo
scored thirty three.

Speaker 2 (01:27:16):
That's more than thirty one. You lose that game.

Speaker 3 (01:27:17):
So I do think that this game starts off maybe
a little slow for Buffalo because the Patriot thing looked
a little weird and not having their guys out there,
but then going on to winning that game. The Broncos
have a rookie quarterback, guys, and that's just the bottom line.
It's hard for rookies to go on the road in
the playoffs. And what Sean Payn's done with this team
is great. He's done a great job with this team,
and I think they'll be a lot better next year.
Give me Buffalo, and I think they covered this I do.

(01:27:40):
I think they make the plays. I think Josh Allen
makes the plays, and I think they covered as nine
and a half. I'll take them. I messed up with
Baltimore to I'm not gonna make the same mistakes twice.
Give me Buffalo to cover the nine.

Speaker 9 (01:27:50):
And a half.

Speaker 2 (01:27:50):
I'm taking the Denver Broncos here to cover the nine
and a half. I think that most wild Card teams
are not built like this Denver team is, whereas they
have a really really strong defense. I feel like most
of the Wildcard teams we see are more flashy offensive
teams that defenses lack. Denver's not that as long as
bow Knicks cannot turn the ball over, this is not

(01:28:14):
going to be a two score game.

Speaker 7 (01:28:16):
And and and.

Speaker 2 (01:28:19):
This meat really means nothing but Sean Payton thirty and
twelve against bald head coaches and his coaching career, And
the hell did you find that on Twitter? And why
did you think? What did you think it was okay
to say? Because I you know what, thirty and twelve,
and you know what? These due for another low, He's
due for a win. He's on a hot streak right now.
Three last three Bruce Areas, Dan Quinn is somebody that

(01:28:41):
Perry Field anyway, Those are the guys he beat that
might have been in Devath anyway. Broncos plus nine and
a half.

Speaker 6 (01:28:46):
That's a crazy stat. He just can't seem to figure out.

Speaker 3 (01:28:49):
Here's also the game with this game tomorrow, with this
with this Buffalo, you want to talk about defense. This
defense only gives up twenty twenty one points a game. Guys,
So if bow Knicks is gonna win this game, he
better scored over twenty one three twenty four points. I
just I don't see it on the road from a
rookie quarterback. Once again, Payton's done a great job with
this team. And this defense is stellar. And I disagree

(01:29:11):
with the point about the defense in AFC Chargers defense
in the in Texas defense took the field to day two.
Those are two also really good. Typical wild really oh okay,
typical wild card team has got you. And because Buffalo
went went to that is just knocking on the door
for a wild card. Yeah, yeah, true, No, they don't
have a defense up there. But this Buffalo defense is
really good. And like I said, it's on the road
and sooner or later, Josh's he's the key, He's the

(01:29:33):
X factor. He makes enough plays to make you just
get out of your way from a time Toma twin
and it makes these completions. I think that can blow
his game up.

Speaker 2 (01:29:40):
All right.

Speaker 6 (01:29:41):
Next up, we got the Green Bay Packers going to
Philadelphia to take on the Eagles. The Eagles are favored
by five points.

Speaker 2 (01:29:47):
What do we think do you want to go first here,
No go ahead. I don't even to talk about him,
but I have to. I don't even take the Eagles here.
I think the Eagles five and a half. I think
the Packers are fools goal. Like, the NFL this year,
for whatever reason, had a very small middle class, right
We had a bunch of teams that stunk and a
few teams that were really, really good. The Packers, to me,
are kind of maybe this year should be re establishing

(01:30:09):
what the middle class of the NFL is. They beat
the bad teams, but none of the bad teams. You know,
generally we see one of these bad teams like pop
up and win a game or two. Wasn't happening this year.
The Packers were a missfield goal away I think from
Owen six in the division in the NFC North, and
one of those teams is the Bears, exactly like. I

(01:30:29):
don't believe in this Packers team at all, and I
don't think Matt Laflor believes. And Jordan Loved the way
the bustle people in the media, do I believe in
Jordia lovedy Jordan Love will be fine.

Speaker 3 (01:30:38):
You're talking to number five offense going on the road
against the number one total defense in football, and I
think that's where his game is won and loss. I
think Sakwan Barkley has a lot a lot of probably
not his fault, but misplaced the little I wish I
would have. And I think he'll show it off tomorrow
and uh and just run for daylight all day long.
Hurts gotta week the rest. You know this guy's some

(01:30:59):
of those guys got a weak the man. So I
think Philly. I think Philly covers this.

Speaker 2 (01:31:02):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (01:31:03):
I don't think this is a match up. I do
think the game is close the first half, and I
think Philly just leans on Saquan. He makes one of
those you know, WTF plays and you're like, wow, here
he goes again and they pull it off.

Speaker 6 (01:31:13):
All right, Two two retread head coaches.

Speaker 2 (01:31:16):
Here.

Speaker 6 (01:31:17):
We got Todd Bowles going up against Dan Quinns, the
Buccaneers facing the Washington Commanders. The Bucks are favored by
three points. Though, what do we think?

Speaker 2 (01:31:25):
Uh, I think I'm gonna take. I think we're gonna
add a fourth rookie quarterback to this list. I think
Jayen Daniels and the Commanders get it done. The key
for me is that what the Washington Commanders did. They
spent more than anybody to trade deadline to get Marshaan Lattimore.
He's been heard a lot this year, but I know
one thing that he does, and that has put Mike

(01:31:46):
Evans in Alcatraz. All right. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had
their their the high point of the season and one
that I wonder what Saquon Barkley thought after Mike Evans
caught that that six yard pass he saw getting mobbed
on the sidelines. Everybody was having about it. I think
that might be the last happy moment in Tampa. As
Jaydon Daniels runs through at a seque Barkley to sit
there like I wanted to do that too.

Speaker 3 (01:32:08):
I'm with Martin on this. Man, give me Washington here.
We talked so much about the quarterback in the office.
Nobody ever mentioned that this is the thirteenth rank defense
in the National Football League and these numbers mean something
at this point. That's because the regular season is over.
That means this is what they were. Why dan Quinn's
their head coach?

Speaker 1 (01:32:22):
What is he?

Speaker 3 (01:32:23):
A defensive minded type guy? You don't need an offensive
guy on this team because you got Jaden and you
got the offensive coordinator that he needs for him. It's
gonna work out for them. Just fine, Tampa. I hate
to say this, man, everybody wants to fire their head coach.
They don't think that he's been done well with this team.
And I once again Marshawn Lattimore and Mike Evans locked
up again tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (01:32:42):
How you like that matchup? Right there?

Speaker 3 (01:32:44):
And I think Washington, listen, they're twelve and five this year.
This is another Johnny cum Lately team. They were a
better football team than the Buccaneers all year long. I
just don't see Tampa all of a sudden rising up
tomorrow in the primetime game just because they're at home.
I think Tampa gets beat at home. Gimme Washington to
move on. Is the lower seed in the playoffs?

Speaker 2 (01:33:01):
All right?

Speaker 6 (01:33:02):
Last one here, This one should be a good one.
You got Sean McVay and the Rams hosting his former protege,
his former offensive coordinator, and Kevin O'Connell. They're hosting the Vikings,
so uh, sort of hosting.

Speaker 2 (01:33:13):
The Vikings as both teams will be in Glendale, Vietna.

Speaker 3 (01:33:18):
And that's what and that's what swung it for me
right there, advantage absolutely.

Speaker 2 (01:33:23):
Also, it's two and a half.

Speaker 3 (01:33:24):
By the way, I guess it's gonna be a I
think it's gonna be a tight game. It's hard to
beat the same team twice, even in division the regular season.
Let's you're just flat out better Thursday night football out here.
So far Vikers came out here, Rams beat them up,
beat them up pretty good that night too. But also
to everything that's going on and having a game move, guys,
what do you believe this is gonna affect, not maybe
affect how they played, but just the mindset because you've

(01:33:45):
got a lot going on home. You want to be
focused and locked in here. You have as many handlers
handled things as you can. But it's still a real
life thing. And once again this game being moved out
of La Man. Wow, congratulations, congratulations Sam Darnold, You got
lucky buddy. Now you are gonna say, well, he won
a playoff game VJ. But they do have a lot
of weapons of office. The best receiver in football in

(01:34:06):
one of the top five defenses and football they turned
the ball over on you, guys, and they get to
the quarterback when he blitz all about Floresa's defense. Go ahead,
and give me the Vikens here to pull this off. Reluctantly,
I want to pick the Rams, but they're not homing
to me. That's everything.

Speaker 2 (01:34:19):
I'm taking the Rams here. I don't like what Saam
Donald put on tape against the Lions. That's concerning. That
was the first, essentially first playoff game of his career.
It was on the road. It didn't look good. This
game is still on the road. I know it's in Arizona,
but you know what, Arizona has a lot of people
who moved from LA because it costs way too damn
much to live here. All right, I know a handful

(01:34:39):
of people who live in Phoenix right now. And plus two,
Sean mcvag made an interesting move in week eighteen as
he load managed no doubt about it all of his players.
If he doesn't win this game, that backfires in his
face spectacularly. I think they win it, though, something about
the way that that went down, I think they win it.
They deaf covered. Can I change my pick? Allow it?

(01:35:05):
I'll allow it.

Speaker 3 (01:35:05):
I'm changing my pick. I'm changing my pick. Man, forget
everything I said. Wipe it away. Rise up, l A,
Rise up. We just put the same right going a
lot going on. You know, I'm changing my mind. Real talk,
no jokes, no entertainment, A lot going on out here.

Speaker 2 (01:35:20):
Man, I'm Rams.

Speaker 3 (01:35:21):
Let's go Rams go out here in the Rams go
out here, and they fight everything that they're going to do.
That's what's gonna happen. At one point he said, is right,
but something I've been saying for a long time. But
Sam Donald did put some real pissport tape out against
the lines. It looked really and it hasn't looked good
in like the last month. Guys, it's looked okay, that
doesn't look great. I'll say it last month is that
he's got one game in the last month that looked great.

(01:35:42):
The rest of it's kind of like okay, but no, man,
I'm I live in La Now, I'm home now, Man,
this is my home. I'm not a fan, but I
go with the Rams.

Speaker 2 (01:35:49):
Rams. Get this done.

Speaker 3 (01:35:50):
So against every game the same except for Bill's Broncos.

Speaker 6 (01:35:54):
Correct, that'll be the differentiator here.

Speaker 2 (01:35:56):
But we got more rounds. I'm about to say this.
We're carrying us away to the super Bowl, right, yeah,
we want to do the Pro Bowl in if you
want so, I'm not gonna do that. You don't want
we should flick the Super Bowl? Now, who wins the NFC,
wh wins the AFC? Who wins the whole thing? No,
we have to wait t these games.

Speaker 6 (01:36:09):
Well, this won't count for official picks, but just predictions,
like if you go.

Speaker 3 (01:36:14):
I'm sticking with my pick from August.

Speaker 2 (01:36:15):
I have the Eagles winning at all. That's my pick
in August.

Speaker 3 (01:36:19):
So the AFC oh Chiefs, Oh yeah, yeah, Eagles the
chief in a rematch from two years ago, and Jalen hurts.
He he he atones for the fumble Scooper score right
before the half that really kept the Chiefs in that
game and helped them win that games win the Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (01:36:33):
What's fascinating about that is so many times you'll hear
people say, and Jalen played well in that loss. That's
like they completely forget about that play right there. But
he did play. I'm not I'm not knocking that he well,
I'm gonna go that far, okay, but I'm not knocking
that he did. He played well, sure, but he also
had very played fumble that the game. That's fine, but

(01:36:55):
that doesn't mean he didn't play great. Sticking with my
preseason predictions, that's the Lions and the Chiefs, with the
Lions hoisting their first Lombardi Trophy in NFL history. Forward
down the field. Coming up next, we'll dive more into
the two seven matchup in the NFC. Will history repeat itself?

(01:37:16):
Got that coming up next, Martin Wis' VJA Husky Fox
Words Football Saturday comes to you a lot at the
Tireck dot Com studios. It's Martin Weiss and VJ. Husky
here on a Fox Sports Football Saturday. As we watched
Justin Mattebuque, sach Russell Wilson on third down, the Steelers
showing signs of life in the third quarter. Thanks for

(01:37:36):
coming Pittsburgh, Steve the Sacred will have everything on that
game in just a minute. And after Steve, we'll have JD.
Pakel help us break down the National Championship game in
college football. But right now, VJ. You said last week
that if Sakwon Barkley doesn't get the record to fire
Nick sirian Well he didn't didn't play. Dick Sirianni kept

(01:37:59):
his job. Not gonna be playing host through the Green
Bay Packers coming up? What do you expect to see
in this game?

Speaker 3 (01:38:06):
I think Saint Kwan's gonna go off. I think they've
gotten enough rest. I think Jalen Hurts is gonna be
just fine, man, honest, I think the Packers have a
really good offense. This idea and is narrative that I
keep hearing that people don't believe in Jordan love Well.
They have the fifth ranked offense in the league. He's
running the offense. Guys, He's the quarterback on the all
He's the quarterback that's got the offense out there on

(01:38:29):
the field. Like I'm trying to figure out how people
are sold them if they go play well. There's been
some questions about the secondary. Even though Philly I believe
is number one, number two in the league and pass defense,
their top five team in run defense, can't run the
ball against them. Carter, Jalen Carter's just asserted himself as
like a Vince Wolfolk type player in the middle of
that line. You can't move the ball and run against him.

(01:38:50):
But I did see holes when I went back and
did some tape study this week on Philly secondary. There
are some holes in the secondary. You can't get behind
them and beat them. Sometimes their guys lose the ball
when they have to turn their head away from the ball.
If you know what I mean, If you play defensive back,
you know exactly what I'm talking about. If you don't,
I'm speaking French to you right now.

Speaker 2 (01:39:08):
I get it.

Speaker 3 (01:39:09):
But they lose the ball and Jordan Love can move
in the pocket, he can make plays, he can extend plays.
He's a good, young, prospected coming up quarterback.

Speaker 2 (01:39:20):
I just he's no longer a prospect. So if you're
viewing him like that, okay, wrong word, I can't find
wrong word.

Speaker 3 (01:39:27):
But I believe in him. I believe in him. Last
year I think he's a really good quarterback. Had his
team up twice on the road, and you know in
games I mean waiting obliterated Dallas and Aarons amass go.
They're beating their ass up and down the field too.
He didn't end up throwing the two picks, one off
of receivers as then the other way through to the defender.
And that young guy make mistakes a tone for me.
Now here's to your point.

Speaker 2 (01:39:46):
Why people don't believe in Jordan Love is because when
he throws over for over twenty and fifty yards, he
turns the ball over.

Speaker 3 (01:39:52):
Okay, Well, if that's the stat people want to point to.
All Right, fine, I'm not I don't have any time
to even try to find something around thirty times he
throws it in the The question I want to ask
you is is okay? Actually? Is that why you don't
believe him because of those two stats you just read? Yeah, okay,
it was reckless with the ball.

Speaker 2 (01:40:07):
He turns the ball over too much, and he doesn't
his form is not He throws too many fade away
like like he as he goes back to throw, he's back.
He's normally always off his back foot, and that just
causes inaccuracy and inconsistency. Okay, Like his fundamentals aren't there,
and that's why you know it shows in his play.

Speaker 3 (01:40:27):
And I think it's fun. I think it's I think
it's fundamental. It's a fine thing. He's every every quarterback.
I believe very few have something they still need to
work on. But about the game, I think there's an
upset this weekend. We know it didn't happen in the
earlier games, not gonna happen in the game tonight between
Tomorrow morning and Monday night. And one of these role
teams we both picked Washington but I don't think anybody

(01:40:48):
think that's a big upset.

Speaker 2 (01:40:50):
I don't. They've been the better team.

Speaker 3 (01:40:52):
Day are twelve if I they want twelve games this year,
and you know, battling the likes of Dallas that still
kept fighting even though at the back the Giants that
were bad but didn't get blown out of a lot
of games, didn't give up and quit. We didn't talk
about their players quitting on Brian Dable. People are surprised
that he's still there. They retain them, but obviously they
believe in him. The players believe in them moving forward.
But there has to be something said about one of

(01:41:15):
these road teams going and winning these games. And we've
seen Green Bay do it, and we gave them no
shot to do it against Dallas, and we're giving them
no shot this year to do it against Philly. What
I find confusing, not confusing, but really interesting and real quick.
I know we got to get to Steven and JD
is the fact that we'll say this about you know,
Jordan Love. We don't believe in him, we don't believe it.

(01:41:36):
We don't believe in them. But there are people that
think bow Knicks can go win this game in Buffalo tomorrow,
Like it just doesn't make sense. We've seen one guy
go on the road and win a playoff game. We've
seen him do it, so that that just confused me.

Speaker 2 (01:41:48):
But you tell me that Josh Jacobs is gonna run
for the two hundreds some of yards Aaron Jones did
in last playoff games. I tell you the Packers gonna
win too. But right now, we have some developments in
this game. Third and three come Steve the Seger. With
everything going on in Baltimore, Pittsburgh and everywhere else and
sports Steve.

Speaker 8 (01:42:04):
We do have developments, but it's not like the Steelers
are suddenly down three and a chance to continue the season.

Speaker 3 (01:42:10):
Right I've been watching a lot of breaking news. It's
if you just heard last Hour all week.

Speaker 2 (01:42:14):
So maybe that's my bad home.

Speaker 8 (01:42:16):
Well, there's been actual breaking news with that, well to
say the least. But they've just started the fourth quarter,
Ravens with the ball and the lead at home. It's
twenty eight to fourteen over Pittsburgh, and yes, they just
converted the third and three. Lamar Jackson two touchdown passes.
Derrick Henry of the Ravens nineteen carries one hundred and
sixty two yards rushing and two touchdowns. Now the Steelers,

(01:42:38):
down twenty one nothing at the break, did get a
couple of TV passes from Russell Wilson in the third
quarter to make it a game won, a thirty yarder won,
a thirty six yarder, but Pittsburgh on the ground so
far ten carries twenty four yards rushing as a team.
In fact, the Steelers came in with a four game
losing streak and a long losing streak of playoff games

(01:42:58):
over the years. And we're down twenty one to nothing
on the road at the half tonight, which meant that
the Steelers have now trailed by double digits at halftime
in five straight playoff games, my goodness. And the Steelers
haven't even had the ball with the lead, not even
once in their last six playoff games. AP says you'd
have to go back almost five years to find their

(01:43:19):
only lead in that whole time in the postseason, and
that came when the defense scored on a fumble return
and the opponent tied the game on their next possession.
Mike Tomlin, if he drops this one, will have lost
six straight playoff games. The NFL record is seven postseason
losses in a row by a coach, Marvin Lewis of
the Bengals. It is twenty eight to fourteen, twelve minutes

(01:43:41):
to go in the fourth quarter. Ravens lead and have
the ball. Raven's going for a fifth straight win. Earlier
in AFC Wildcard game at Houston went to the Texans
over the Chargers thirty two to twelve. Nicocollins guest of
ours earlier tonight seven receptions one hundred and twenty two
yards in a score Houston led ten to six in
the third quarter, a total of seven turnovers in that game.

(01:44:03):
Three games tomorrow in the NFL playoffs one pm Eastern
Broncos at Bills, Then on Fox TV four thirty pm
Eastern Packers at Eagles, and quarterback Jalen Hurts dig clear
concussion protocol and Eagles whiteouts AJ Brown and DeVante Smith
say they'll be playing back from injury. Tomorrow night, it's
Washington at Tampa Bay. The Commanders have won five straight.

(01:44:25):
Monday Night, the Rams home game will be in Arizona
against the Vikings. Tonight in the NBA Lakers home game
postpone Clippers home game postpone Houston at the Atlanta Hawks
postponed by the winter storm. Memphis is just edge Minnesota
earlier wins for Phoenix and Detroit. The late game is
Portland hosting Miami and in the NHL overtime victories for

(01:44:47):
Boston and New Jersey. College hoops number one Tennessee one
at Texas seventy four to seventy Also, we've got three
minutes left in a top ten matchup. Alabama leads at
Texas A and M eighty three to seventy eight.

Speaker 3 (01:45:00):
Back to you, thanks Steve, Joey Porter Jujus made a
big play on third down, forcing fourth down, But it
looks like Mark Andrews with a modified toush push converts
the first down, keeps Baltimore with the ball.

Speaker 2 (01:45:14):
But right now, let's kick it over to JD pikel
the Wan down of college football on three College Football Insider.
You can go ahead check him out of the Hard
Count on YouTube, but not until you hear what you
have to say right here, right now, JD, how are
you my friend?

Speaker 7 (01:45:28):
Brother? I'm doing phenomenal fire out be back on with y'all,
blots talk about the stages set. We're gonna have ourselves
a national championship. Man, I fired up.

Speaker 2 (01:45:36):
We are gonna have a national championship. You know, some
people doubted it, but in a playoff, did in fact
maybe get two teams that we were happy with? All
said done, let's take a look into rearview mirror. Go
back to Penn State Notre Dame. Quickly? What do you
see out of Marcus Freeman? Who is vj's quickly rising,
if not number one on his favorite person list, he

(01:45:58):
is top three and not three. And then also with
James Franklin, and the question, has James Franklin won a
big game?

Speaker 7 (01:46:07):
Man, there's a lot to umpact there. I'd love to
know the top three of that list as well, because
I think I could. I mean, Marcus Freeman is definitely
in my top three as well.

Speaker 2 (01:46:15):
Right now.

Speaker 1 (01:46:15):
I mean it is just so right, right, I mean.

Speaker 7 (01:46:19):
When was the last time we had a Notre Dame
team like this that was as likable as they are?

Speaker 4 (01:46:24):
Right?

Speaker 7 (01:46:25):
You know the funny part about the pend start. I'll
start with Notre Dame. Like you look at the box score,
there was no reason Notre Dame should have won that game.
Like they were out rushed by hundred yards, they got
sacked five times to their one. They got home Andrew
Aller like, there's a lot of things where you're like this,
this doesn't make any sense why they should win. This
team just they just find a way, man. And it's

(01:46:46):
cliche and it's it's you know, stuff that you talk
about when you do like those cheesy sports movies. But
like this team just just finds the way. Like Riley Leonard,
God bless him. I don't think he's like all that
phenomenal if you were to put him in a pro disc.
But the dude is gritty, and that's just this team.

Speaker 9 (01:47:03):
Man.

Speaker 7 (01:47:03):
They're grimy, they're gritty, they find a way. And so
that nine and a half point spread, Like we'll talk
about Ohio's data, I'm sure, but nine and a half
a little bit disrespectful on the on the Penn State
side of things. I don't have an issue with James
Franklin as much as I have an issue with the
roster construction, which maybe you put that on James Franklin. Man,
they scored twenty four points and a receiver didn't have

(01:47:25):
a catch. Like I get Drew Aller that that, you know,
huge mistake, but like they were just finding ways to
make it work man, Like Tyler Warren's phenomenal. They were
running the ball at a high level. I think Coltanecki,
the offensive coordinator, did a great job. It's unfortunate that,
you know, the game went how it went for James Franklin.
I think he's a good coach. I don't think you
get to that spot without being a good coach. But

(01:47:47):
you know, you look in the rear view mirror. If
you're a Penn State fan, you're like, Okay, had two
games that you know, quite frankly, we should have one
based on our roster versus their roster play a comparable
opponent in the biggest spot of our really our entire pro.

Speaker 2 (01:48:03):
Under go down.

Speaker 6 (01:48:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:48:04):
So, I mean there's a lot to unpacked there. But
I don't blame Penn State fans for how they feel.
They got to hit the Portland find some receivers at
a quick fast in hurry.

Speaker 3 (01:48:15):
What's going on, JD, how's the little one in a
new addition to the family, And how's the missus field? Man?

Speaker 7 (01:48:19):
You guys, good man, we're finding our shride man, I
appreciate it. We're locking in for this Natty that they've
been in playoff mode. My daughter had a future in
on Ohio State early, so she's she's ready to cast out.

Speaker 3 (01:48:31):
I think, yeah, well yeah, Martin claims he wins e
the way in this game.

Speaker 2 (01:48:34):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (01:48:34):
I'm a Michigan guy. You know how I feel about
both these schools. And if you don't know, listeners, now
you know, go look it up. I want to zone
in on this Penn State Notre Dame game because you
said something very very important there is that they probably
had no business winning this game.

Speaker 2 (01:48:48):
But doesn't that make this team that much better?

Speaker 3 (01:48:51):
Doesn't that make Marcus Freeman that much better of a
coaching that much better of a top person on my list?
That when you win a game that you're not supposed
to win, your team takes advantage of the mistakes that
they put out.

Speaker 2 (01:49:02):
Number one mistake I put out. You talk about not
having a receiver.

Speaker 3 (01:49:05):
All right, fine, how about Nicholas Singleton having more than
fifteen carries?

Speaker 2 (01:49:08):
How about that?

Speaker 3 (01:49:09):
Let's not get Kyron Allen more carries than were giving
a guy that scoring three touchdowns. And that's been the explosive,
the explosive if on the Notre Dame side going into
this Ohio State game, I told you a few weeks
ago when we first started talking about this bracket. I
looked at the brackets, A JD. No one's talking about No.
One's talking about Notre Dame, and they're beating everybody about
thirty seven points after the North Andllinois and loss. And
I've told you you asked me to pick a team.

(01:49:30):
I go, dude, they're gonna win this whole thing. Change
my mind. They're gonna go in. They're gonna beat this
Ohio State team. I much rather see them win it
than Ohio State.

Speaker 7 (01:49:39):
No, So I'll start with giving your flowers on that,
because Notre Dame absolutely made a run. I mean, and
what you said is on the money, like the fact
that there were all these things in the box score
you point to you as to why they shouldn't have one,
And they did like to me that they have this
certain kind of swaggering confidence that again it sounds cliche.
It's hard to quantify because you don't see it when

(01:49:59):
you watch the actual game. It doesn't show up in
the stat sheet. But like they have that kind of,
you know, team of destiny feel. Now, I will say
there's some part of me too that wonders Okay, when
you get into a spot with an Ohio State, with
how talented they are, you know, at what point does
the damn break? Like, at what point do you need
Ley Leonard to go over two point fifty on the

(01:50:22):
year as a pastor, which he hasn't done all season.
So there's some part of me that feels, I think
a little bit apprehensive there. But I mean, I'll this
is not to give participation trophies out, but like, if
I'm a Notre Dame fan, you could stop the season
right now. You can roll the credits and like, the
trajectory of Notre Dame football under Marcus Freeman is just

(01:50:42):
breathing different oxygen than it was a few i mean
months ago, not not just this season, but like, think
about this, how often have they had top commitments from
the Southeastern part of the United States and then last
minute they flipped to Bama, flip to Auburn, and flip
to wherever, Like Marcus Freeman can now walk into a
living room. Is if you want to go to an
SEC school, more power to you. But just remember now,

(01:51:03):
when when we played that big dog in the conference,
the team that won the conference. We believe them, so
like if you want to do that, but like, by
all means do that, but like don't kid yourself and
think that you can't compete for whatever you want to
compete for and accomplish thing as the highest level of
Notre Dame. And that's scary with what he is as
a recruiter.

Speaker 2 (01:51:19):
JD. I actually think Notre Dame will accomplish the highest
lan and win this thing.

Speaker 7 (01:51:23):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:51:23):
I have picked against Ohio State each time, but here's
the reason why I have a reason this time. They
put the blueprint out when Michigan beat Ohio State, run
the ball, run the ball, yeah, Penn State. I mean,
I mean on Penn State. They did a little bit
in their last game, but for whatever reason, got down
to the goal line, they would to throw the ball
with conuers and it just wasn't working out.

Speaker 3 (01:51:43):
You saw to fumble, stripsack all of that. Notre Dame
saw what Penn State did have to draw out through
that interception. You saw what he said.

Speaker 2 (01:51:51):
He said, Riley letted you eight, if you throw this ball,
I swear to God. You know he just ran the
ball straight with them. He said, I'm not making the
same mistake Notre Dame. To me, the way they've won
these games, they feel like they have the ability to
push Ohio States front around. If you can do that,
they can be beat. Do you agree?

Speaker 7 (01:52:12):
I think. I think what you're saying is one hundred
percent true. My only reservation there is we haven't seen
the team that lost to Michigan in I mean several
weeks now months, even like that they and that lost
to Michigan. I think I saw this somewhere else, Like
in the losses to Oregon and Michigan, they had zero sacks.
They've since in this playoff gotten home sixteen times like this.

(01:52:33):
It's again hard to quantify, but it feels like they've
kind of had that, like that that heartbreak story arc,
if you will, Like we all know that guy that
gets broken up with and then you see him a
few weeks later, he's hitting the gym, he got a
new job, he got verified on Instagram, Like he's just
living a different lifestyle that new state since Michigan exactly. Man,
So like I think that to me is is a

(01:52:54):
little bit tough to unsee based on what Ohio State
has been in this playoff. I'm sure we'll talk about
Texas game, but like to preface that. I don't think
they even played that great against Texas, to be honest,
and still thought I get it done. So I say
a lot of pieces there.

Speaker 2 (01:53:08):
Give me give me thirty week. We're up against it
right now, but give me thirty seconds. On that Ohio
State Texas game. I love when guys on the one
yard line toss it back nine yards to try to
get a touchdown. But just a general your take on
start of Texas and how the whole thing played out
with them in Ohio State.

Speaker 7 (01:53:25):
I'll go rapid fire the toss play. I don't have
a problem with that because going back at it, Calvin
Banks is going to be like a top fifteen, top
ten pick. The tackle for Texas they had him. What
a safety like. If Caleb Downs isn't a psychopathics film watcher,
he doesn't find a way to make that play. I
don't think anybody besides Caleb Downs makes that play. They
were making it work all night. The leading receiver was

(01:53:45):
a running back. I just I go back to Ohio State.
Jeremiah Smith had three yards in this game in one
catch and they still got it done. And you know
I'm gonna say here, VJ, We'll leave football well, Howard.

Speaker 2 (01:53:58):
Oh, I got one more game, got one more game.
I got one more game.

Speaker 3 (01:54:03):
I got one more game I already play. I want
to let you do on this what I already put
our tomorrow early in the show, I got one more
time for it to come true, and it gives me
to try factor. I said it against Oregon the first time,
I said it against Michigan and in Columbus. If the
game is in his hands on January twentieth, late in
the game, Will Howard will throw the game away.

Speaker 2 (01:54:22):
Mark my words, Well, there you go.

Speaker 7 (01:54:25):
Impossible, it's very possible.

Speaker 2 (01:54:26):
Mark them down, j D. Mark them down. So I
know we'll have you all next week. This time, we
still want to have played the college championship game. But
there's been such good games. There's so much news we've ignored,
like will coach Prime still be there, will coach Belichick?
Every coach a game. We'll get some of that coming
up next week with you, JD. Because there's a ton
of news in college transferportal, all of that. So don't

(01:54:49):
think you're getting off the hook just because you got
one game coming up.

Speaker 7 (01:54:52):
All right, pal, look sounds good. Hey, looking forward to it, y'all,
Stay safe. Appreciate y'all hammering away here in turbulent time.
So ya order, great thing for everybody listening, and I
appreciate having me on.

Speaker 2 (01:55:02):
Thank you all. Duck coming on appreciated. Coming up next,
we'll put on our miss Cleo hats and tell you
what happens this time next week show me now free
tat all eating. Shortly after the show our podcast we'll
be going up.

Speaker 3 (01:55:16):

Cheerier carpets. Period twenty eight to fourteen, the score, three
minutes remaining in the game. The Baltimore Ravens look like
they are going to advance here as there's a flag

(01:55:45):
on the play coming up. I think that might be
on a Pittsburgh defender for trying to punch out of
Mark Andrews's ball. But you know what, let's go ahead
and up holding on the Steelers. I tell you what.
The Steeler's lack of defensive competing this game has been
the story to me. I know that Pittsburgh's offense has
been terrible. They have not been able to move the ball.
But watching the Ravens just go five yards of carries,

(01:56:06):
six yards of carry, five yards of carry, eight yards
of carry has been one that to me is like,
all right, y'all gotta really answer for this. This is
offense ain't been great, but the defense has been terrible.

Speaker 3 (01:56:17):
No, the offense ain't been great. Defense been terrible. Off
it's been terrible too.

Speaker 2 (01:56:21):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:56:21):
They've scored on some well I like call it like
you know, luck plays that happen every now and then.
But they're done. They're not winning this game. Three ten less,
first and ten all the way down to the thirty
six and a half. You know, just pitch it to
King Henry and let King Henry do this.

Speaker 2 (01:56:34):
So another nine yard, another nine yard run on first
down with three minutes left the game. That goes to
show you how this thing has been going. Just if
your first time tuning in.

Speaker 4 (01:56:46):
We do this.

Speaker 2 (01:56:47):
We try to predict the future. We try to tell
and I said, by this time last week, last week,
the Houston Texans will have won their playoff game. Because
I knew it was gonna be three thirty Eastern on Saturday,
because that's the only time they have play. So let's
go ahead load him up for this upcoming week. It's
time for this time next week, VJ. You go first man,

(01:57:07):
all right. By this time next week, losing Texas coach
Steve Sarksian will be linked to the Dallas Cowboys job.
He will not get the job, or take the job,
or even interview for the job, but we will hear
reports about how the Dallas Cowboys are interested in Steve
Sarkeesian as an attempt to further negotiate with Mike McCarthy.

Speaker 3 (01:57:29):
By this time next week, the Miami Heat will have
traded Jimmy Butler.

Speaker 2 (01:57:32):
Thank goodness. Can it has to get traded this week?
Did you see the video of him? Oh god, he
was like a restaurant of some sort, and he was
like congratulating the employee on a job well done, filling
up the drink, and he goes, that's how you empower
your employees. It was very much a veiled shot.

Speaker 3 (01:57:51):
You don't it's it's stupid. It's I mature trader, speaking
of trades.

Speaker 2 (01:57:54):
By this time next week, the losing coach of this
game the Mike Tomlin of the Pittsburgh Steelers. There will
be tall of NFL teams interested in trying to trade
for Mike Tomlin. This might have run his course here
in Pittsburgh because they're not Look, Pittsburgh does not seem
to be happy with just a winning season. They have
to win playoff games as well. There's about off the

(01:58:16):
time I had seventeen teams in the NFL that would
kill a man for sept for a winning season. Ian
raised his hand as a fan of the New York Jets.
I think, Mike Tomlin, we will hear about trades. I
don't know, if you gets raight, we're gonna hear about it.

Speaker 3 (01:58:28):
By this time next week, the Detroit Pistons will be
a fifth or higher seed in the East. There game
and a half now game this week at the nic
Obaca's home against the Pacers home against the Phoenix Suns.

Speaker 2 (01:58:37):
They currently sit at twenty and nineteen. One of my
long term NBA predictions we had to go out on
a limb to start the year at the other place.
I had the Pistons in a non play in playoff team,
so top six and Kate Cunningham as an All Star
also had the Timberwolves finishing further than the Knicks in
the playoffs. So that's what I'm gonna miss with a
few coming this time next week. Ohio eight line, the

(01:59:01):
line in that game Jad was talking about is a
little disrespectful. That thing is going to shrink. All right,
that's gonna shrink like something outside. With his coach is
gonna get a lot smaller. It's nine now it closes
under a touchdown. Uh yeah, I can see that.

Speaker 3 (01:59:16):
By the time next week, the only team with a
new head coach that has a head coach in vacancy.

Speaker 2 (01:59:21):
Right now will be one new England Patriots. Bonus points,
who is it, Mike Rabel. Interesting, It's interesting you say
that because when so when Antonio appears and and Tom
Tolesco was fired. Then two days later I said, you know,
this only happens because one thing changes and he changes
his ownership. I'm not saying that you're wrong, but I

(01:59:44):
think people need to say Patriots or Raiders is very
real possibility.

Speaker 3 (01:59:50):
Because Tom Brady's there, former teammate. I could get that,
but I think I think he would want to be
a Patriot.

Speaker 2 (01:59:55):
We'll see. It's good to Broughts out here, guys, Aaronsis
and Jason frightening up next peace out

Speaker 7 (02:00:05):
M hmm
