Speaker 2 (00:28):
This is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff, presented by
Bett mg App. Now we're live from your tailgame. Here's
Brian no Hier, NFL veteran Jeff Schwartz at sports handicapper
from crackwins dot com Bill crack Krackenberger.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Oh, good morning, welcome in hope your Sundays off to
a great start.
Speaker 4 (00:52):
We had.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
A little trade in the NBA late last night. Luka
Doncic heading to the Los Angeles Lakers, Anthony Davis shipped
to the Dallas Mavericks in the deal. Those are the
big parts of the trade, and it's just it's wild,
you know. Good morning, fellas, Jeff Schwartz, Bill Krackenberger.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
Here morning.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
It's funny because everybody had the same reaction late last night,
which was did shams get hacked. Did somebody take over
Sham Sharania's you know Twitter page? And his tweet was like, yes,
this is real, here's the trade And the other thing
this reminded me of, I don't know what it is
with sports radio, but listeners are fascinated with potential trades,
(01:43):
and this actual trade sounds like something a sports radio
listener would call in and say, hey, hey, how about
like Luca to the Lakers and Anthony Davis. And it's
like I would hang up on that person and be like,
wait a minute, you said the are trading Luca. That
that's what you're saying. No, have a good night, Thanks
(02:04):
for the call. It actually happened. It's insane. It went
down like this.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
So good morning everyone, resident Lakers fan here, most excited
I'd been about this team in a long time. I'll
tell you that. Imagine being the Utah Jazz, who is
the third member of this trade. Gain that call from
Rob Polinka, Hey listen, listen here, man, we need a
third team to make a trade. He's like, oh, okay,
(02:30):
you know what's the trade? Luca for a d Do
you think that the MAVs GM just like fell out
of his chair. I mean the Lakers. GM Jackie's the
Jazz GM just fell out of his chair and was like,
what what, what's happening. I'll tell you what, man, The
Lakers did it again. I don't know how they do it.
They keep doing it. It Wilt magic in the draft. Obviously,
(02:52):
this reminds me of, like in my own lifetime, of
the Palgasult trade right where this actually was almost to
the hey. It was February one, two thousand and eight,
the Palakasaka trade. Now obviously not the player that Luca is,
but the idea the Lakers. The Lakers fleeced, fleeced the
Grizzlies for that trade. It was like Kwame Brown, if
(03:12):
you remember that Steven A. Smith clip of Kwame Brown saying,
Kwame Brown, he has bricks for hands, he can't shoot,
he can't dribble, he can't catch. I mean it was
Kwame Brown, Javaris Crittinton, Aaron McGhee, Marcus Solm two future
first round picks. So that reminds me of that trade
right now. Obviously the scale of this trade is unprecedent
(03:34):
in NBA history. You're trading a twenty five year old
mega superstar who if you were raking players from one
to ten. He's three four Brian, and he's up there now.
Ad is a Hall of Famer and a fantastic basketball player,
but he's thirty one years old. Who keeps getting hurt?
Speaker 4 (03:53):
I know.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
And not only did they trade Ad Max Christi one
first round pick. This is a trade where you just say, Lake,
give me all your picks between now and the end
of time. I want all of them. I want all
your draft picks. And it's stunning. There's I know we're
mostly well. I'm a football guy. I do watch other sports.
I will I will stay tuned, by the way. By
(04:14):
the way, guys, I will have a hockey play today
for the parlay platter. Most likely, Wow, I got some
hockey on the mind. System plays the system I've been
doing all year.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
First ten.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
Oh you've heard of this. I told you about it. Yeah,
First ten is there might be a first five today.
By the way, it's a super system, A back to
back shutout team scores in the first five minutes. Nonetheless,
it's there's no explanation for why the MAVs did not
get back more. They must really hate Luca. I guess
(04:48):
we'll get to get that story, but I'm not sure
what about him is so bad that you trade your
future away for Instagram notification that may not even pay
off in a championship. And of course the Lakers make
this trade, they get the call, which the MAVs call
the Lakers only the only thing they called I think
(05:10):
about where the Lakers are as our franchis. And the
reason why I was so sort of like the apathy
had set in with the Lakers for me as a
Lakers fan is that, you know, this year they're better
than last year and the year before that, but they're
not winning a championship, like you know, they're a second
round exit team right third, you know, like they're not
They're not that type of team right now. Even though
yesterday Lebron had thirty three, eleven and twelve in the garden,
(05:31):
they're just not that team to win a championship. And
the future looked pretty dim Brian, right, I mean, you
have an older ad, a forty old Lebron. Now, I
think Dalton connect is good, like he's a good basketball player,
but him and Austin Reeves like that's the future of
the team. In ha Chamora. Now you reset, you have
Luca who assume will get a super max dealer and
(05:51):
then he can't. I guess he can't get supermax anymore.
We'll just get a max contract and you build a
round a twenty five year old now and the future
is bright. People want to play with him, right, They're
gonna want to come to Los Angeles. So I would
not bet on them to win the champions this year.
I see that the number moved from like plus four
thousand to fourteen hundred now so fourteen to one, which
is a ridiculous line move for a team that's not
(06:11):
winning championship this season. Luca, if you recall can't play
any defense. Do you remember the finals last year? Like
I think they traded. It's a big defensive hole in
the middle of the Lakers defense down now. They might
trade for a center and can sort of make that up.
But Brian Crack, I know cracked. NBA trades not not
what's keeping you up at night, but what what a what?
(06:34):
What a trade? I don't there's no there's a NFL
equivalent of this, Like there's no people trying to make
when Schefter had a terrible one. I don't want I
don't want to call him out but he's like, what
if you traded Lamar Jackson for Joe Burrow. That's not that,
that's not this trade. It's trading like like, let's say
Jayden Daniels has another great year next season. It's like
trading trading Jayden Daniels from Matt Stafford. You're like, what what? What?
Speaker 5 (06:59):
Why?
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Why?
Speaker 4 (07:00):
Like?
Speaker 3 (07:01):
What why why? What's the problem with Jane Daniels. But
so NFL equipment, this trade, it's it's it's remarkable, and
so we'll get more stories out the next couple of days.
But crack, what what a trade for Lakers? I'll tell
you that.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
Yeah, this this is uh, this is gonna hurt some
of my bet MGM futures that I bet they're at
wow in progress season wins, which I don't know why.
I'm probably gonna take it out on Christian know when
we talked to them.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
Yeah, because this better, do you doubt?
Speaker 4 (07:33):
Now I have Lakers under multiple times throughout the season,
forty seven and a half and which now just became
without a gameplay, it became forty eight and a half.
Even now I had a little bit, I do have
Lakers more wins than the Clippers. So uh, in another bet,
so we'll see what happens with that one. I'm a
small favorite according to bet MGM.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
Now, but crack see, I don't know. And maybe Brian
could talk about this too. I don't know if this
makes them better now, like they're gonna allow a ton
more points they allow now.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
They they gotta get it big. They have no front court,
they have no protection.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
Yeah, well don't yeah they'll they'll get a center. But look,
Lebron and and Luca play the same game, like who's
gonna I would imagine Lebron defers to Luca. Now. I
I want to watch the Lakers play Monday night here
in Charlotte's and I I go to one game a year. Essentially,
I might take my son to one more game, but
mostly it's when Lebron's playing because I want to. I
(08:32):
love watching him play basketball. There's nothing like watching Lebron play,
like the way he he just is the court general,
the quarterback. He just tells guys where to go, like
he's just he's standing on one side of basketball. He's like,
you go here, you go here, like he's just pointing
you do this, you do that, like and there there
are certainly possessions where he rests just in the corner
of the by the three point line, Like, certainly I
(08:55):
know what he's doing. So now Luca can take over
the offense when Lebron needs a break. But they're the
same player. They need the ball in their hands, right,
Like Lebron's not gonna be slashing over the court trying
to get open for Luca. And so you're right, Brian,
they need a center, which I imagine they're going to trade for.
But I'm not sure Crack this makes them like have
more wins, if that makes sense.
Speaker 4 (09:15):
First, I'll ask this question, and I do agree with that.
But how old is your son? He is eight?
Speaker 3 (09:22):
Obviously he's my daughters eight.
Speaker 4 (09:25):
Oh your daughters. Now, did you just bring your son
to the game.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
No, I went with a buddy of mine. These are
very expensive seats, and my son very much.
Speaker 4 (09:32):
But they just wondering if he enjoyed the game.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
No, I'm gonna take. So I'm gonna take. There's a
These seats are nice. They're like eleventh row right at
mid court. They're my buddy's tickets. Oh yeah, they're expensive
for a Lakers game. Yeah, And he sent me the
list of games available for the tickets, and it was like,
you know, I can probably find the list, you.
Speaker 4 (09:56):
Know, for the Lakers was on the list.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
No, no, I know, I know. We got the tickets together.
This is for future games because I want to take
my son. These are good seats. I'm like, I'll find
out maybe an affordable you know, ticket during this time
because they're a little more expensive. Obviously you buy them,
you know, on one of those tickety apps, right, because
it's the fees. So like, the Lakers come to town,
they already played there. The Clippers it was two seventy
(10:19):
five a ticket for Clippers game. I love my son
to death, it's just not gonna happen. But the Bulls
come to town, it's one fifty a ticket. That sounds
more in my price range for that type of seed.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
So Jeff, in your Jeff, what are you going to
do with all this money? What are you talking about?
Come on, we spent a lot of money, buddy, don't
you know?
Speaker 3 (10:40):
I know it's not on basketball tickets for season. We
did it. We have a great season. Unfortunately, see the
reason my money's still on my accounts. I hit a
reverse again around Robin Fade parlay yesterday from the Voice,
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
Oh wow.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
The Voice put out ultiple money line parlays in college
basketball yesterday, and two of them that I wagered on,
I did take the exact opposite team to win, and
all four lost for her. So I made a lot
of money. But crack like, look, you have to budget right, Like,
I'm not taking my son. I'm not paying two hun
and tenty five dollars a ticket.
Speaker 4 (11:18):
No, I just saw a ten year old kid, like
you said. I didn't know if he was eight. That's
why I said, ten year old kid, that's got to
be like the cool thing though, sitting in.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
Oh you know, I'm this this this one wizard bring
them this six and forty one Wizards team. Yeah, the
tickets are one hundred and eighty bucks for the seats.
That's not it's this wizard sting. But horns might win.
He'll be pumped to the Hornets win.
Speaker 4 (11:38):
So sure, sure, what would you don't have kids?
Speaker 3 (11:41):
I can't. I can't ask you what you would pay
for your kids to sit in the seats.
Speaker 4 (11:45):
Stupid in't there. It's a maybe that's why I have money.
Maybe you're right, Maybe it's because I don't have kids.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
I'll tell you what when you start selling up for
summer camps, buddy, which is coming up pretty soon.
Speaker 4 (11:55):
You know, isn't that like a free thing that they
charge you for summer camp? When I went to school,
our summer camps we went to like Sandy Hook, and
was just a voluntary thing. You sign up, you take
the bus every day, it's free.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
That was fifty years ago, my friend.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
Oh, okay, no.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
No, there's no free summer camps anymore. Even at the
public school here there you have to pay for summer camp. No,
there's no free So maybe your parents were paying for it.
You didn't realize it either.
Speaker 4 (12:23):
No, they didn't pay trust me. I actually you know.
It was like a big thing to get on the
list though, But that was and it's great you have
all the different free things you do. You go up to.
By the way, Sandy Hook, New Jersey's a it's literally
like an arm stretched out in the Atlantic Ocean. It
was just some of the best times. It was really
cool and around on the beach. But let me, let's
(12:43):
go back to this trade. And this has to be
devastating for Dallas fans. I mean, Luca considered by most
NBA fans of the future of the league. And you know,
it seems like he's been around a while. Even I
was surprised to google his age twenty five years old.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
National player. So get drafted, that's right, that's right. Look,
if you're an NBA conspiracy guy, which NBA does spur
in a lot of conspiracies, the Lakers getting another generational
talent when the league is like sort of at the
age or stage where it's like, who's the next face
is it? Is it Jalen Brunton in New York? Probably
(13:20):
not SGA in Oklahoma City. That's that's the face of
the league moving forward. Well, here you go. You get dropped.
You get dropped. Uh, you dropped Luca in Los Angeles.
Couldn't ask for better if you're the NBA.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Oh, it's huge for the league. Absolutely, that's rice for
the NBA.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
You're hit, hit it perfectly, Brian. The NBA has to
be so happy about this, this treate. Uh literally, this
this trade creates like a lot of excitement in LA
now well not that they were anyway. It becomes the
capital of the NBA again. So who knows really if
this is Lebron's last year or not. Personally, I was
(13:58):
not happy to hear about this. I'll just tell you
I think it obviously makes the Lakers better. And I
have my season futures against the Lakers. Like I said, under,
I have under like so many things, I have under
forty four wins, which is now basically dead. I've under
forty seven and a half wins. They also won eight
of the last ten games, so they're playing better now.
(14:19):
So this is a lot I'm going to probably lose
a lot of money at bet MGM though, that that
kind of ruins that. Also, people really aren't like, they're
not like I can't explain, like Lebron Luca do they
really play kind of the same position. They dominate the ball,
their playmakers, So how do they exist to get well?
Speaker 1 (14:43):
You saw that. You saw that with Dallas this past
season and made it to the finals with Kyrie and
Luca who both dominate the basketball, and they had a
lot of success even getting there, And so it can't happen.
They they absolutely can coexist. The problem defense, you got
to make another move. You have no fort front court
at all. Right, they will they have to. I don't
(15:05):
know who it's going to be for I know nurkicen
Phoenix right now, he's not even playing, so I don't know,
maybe they make a move for him. Someone else is
going to be there.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
Yeah, they have they have to. But again, like that
thing crack like you can you can get far with
this idea, but you can't win a championship as constructed
right now in LA unless you defense well.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
And that's the thing. We'll get into this a little
bit later. Today is for Luca. Like you guys are
talking about twenty five years old. He's all NBA First
Team each of the last five years. He's first teamer
Jesus in each of the last five years, and he's
twenty five and the MAVs are like, just ship him out, man,
(15:49):
Like I just can't do it anyway.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
So bad I get. I get he's out of shape, okay,
right right, like getting me like'll get him in shape.
There's no they've had superstars forever. They've all those guys
have gone in line. They're gonna figure out why the
way that's it. He's not out of shape. I mean,
I was listing some stuff this morning from NBA people.
I mean maybe that he told me he's never signing
the Max and they just got. But again, if that's
(16:18):
the case, whyship him now? And why not open the
bidding anyone else?
Speaker 4 (16:21):
Right?
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Right?
Speaker 1 (16:22):
Yeah, Like it's weird. I don't I don't know. I
don't know why it was. It was just so surreal
where it was literally the middle of the night and
it's like I was meeting some friends out last night
and one of my friends texted me and it was like,
holy bleep, Luca and I'm like, well, Luca, he's still hurt,
but maps aren't even playing. What's he talking about? It
(16:44):
was this trade? I'm like, what Normally if you were
if you were to do this, it would be known
for a while and it would go to the highest bidder.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
Correct, And it.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
Wasn't like that at all. It wasn't even on the
radar that Luca was gonna it moved. It's it's crazy, man.
Speaker 3 (17:02):
And again, do not ben Likekers won the championship this year, guys, right,
if you if you wanted to, though, if you were
desperate to make a wager on some team winning the championship,
should always go Indiana Fever if you'd like to.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
Well, that's the thing that the Luca deal is for
the next ten years, right, Like you can build around
Luca for the next decade. That's why it's so big,
correct for this season exactly. No, No, I wouldn't run
at the betting window and be like Lake Show winning
it all like and I don't want to live in
a world where Lebron wins another ring at the end
of his career and you get all the goofballs. I'm
(17:37):
not a hater at all. I just you know, I
like accuracy, you know what I mean, And when it
comes to the the debate, you know, that would just
be freaking nauseating if somehow Lebron won one at the
end and then these people that think he is better
than Jordan, which he's not, they have some more fuel
and then it's just it's huge, eyroll huge. I don't
(17:59):
know if you know that or not, Jeff, But no, not.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
I think it's a lot closer debate than you're putting it.
But that but that look that summer radio, Yeah, that's true.
It February two. We can have that debate this summer. Yeah,
but it's earth shattered. The thing that I think, well
I went on with this is I know what we're
going to talk about this more in the show later
is NBA people like the people that I fought like, they're.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
Stunned, they're shocked, mind blowing.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
Which is blowing news and which is And I think
it's so shocking that you mentioned Shams had to put
out a tweet saying I'm not hacked.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
I know right this is.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
Does Does Does this mean Lebron is on the move too?
Speaker 4 (18:42):
No?
Speaker 3 (18:43):
It doesn't think so. No, the Lakers are just like,
we're punting on the season. Let's go get some draft
picks and young basketball players.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
They should, they absolutely should, but I don't believe.
Speaker 4 (18:54):
So.
Speaker 1 (18:55):
We've got Bill Krackenberger, sports handicapper professional. We've got Jeff Schwartz,
eight year NFL veteran. I'm Brian. No, it's football time.

Speaker 4 (20:33):
All right.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
Please to welcome in Christian Cipolini, BETMGM Trading manager joins
us here. Christian, good morning man. So there's this little
trade involving Luka Doncic to the Lakers last night. I'm
curious about the futures market. Have you seen like a
big boom, Like if you didn't hear about this news
and you're just looking at the bets that are coming
(20:55):
in and the money that's flying in, would you know
without hearing the news that there was a big trade
last night based on the futures bets that have been
made recently.
Speaker 5 (21:05):
Yeah, we would have known had that, just because of
the amount of Lakers bets that came in as it
was happening.
Speaker 6 (21:11):
I mean a lot got in before we were able
to make the move. They were up to forty to one.
Speaker 5 (21:15):
Now into fourteen to one. I mean, that is a
stunning trade. I have to see one of the biggest
surprise trades in the history of not just the NBA,
any sport. That is still unbelievable to me.
Speaker 3 (21:29):
What is your biggest futures liability for the NBA?
Speaker 6 (21:32):
Now it's now the Lakers.
Speaker 5 (21:35):
No, I'm not one percent sure if it was that
way before. Obviously the Los Angeles Lakers had to take
a lot of bets that are usually a problem for
us on the futures market. But yeah, they're now far
and away our biggest liability and now now this price
move seeming to be legitimate chance in here to win it.
I'm not sure what will happen, you know, still a
(21:56):
lot of season left to see how they messed together.
But yeah, obviously a one of the biggest trades I
can I can.
Speaker 6 (22:04):
Stick of.
Speaker 4 (22:06):
Christian looking at you, guys are the only ones on
this super Bowl with the minus one and a half
minus fifteen, So this means that your guys are Look,
you're looking for Philadelphia money. I would think everyone in town,
everyone across the country actually has one and a half flats,
even I'm maybe seeing one and a half. Yeah, I'm
(22:30):
seeing pretty solid one and a half. But in the
markets i'm looking at even here and beyond or all,
there's no plus one and a half minus five. So
did you guys get hit on Kansas City or are
you booking to Kansas City future liabilities future? I know
that Detroit was your like, your biggest one that you
didn't want, so I didn't hear Kansas City throughout the year.
(22:53):
Why do you guys have plus one and a half
minus oh five on these Eagles.
Speaker 5 (22:57):
Yeah, if you're correct on that, we are the only
one out there with that number, and it is because
we are trying to attract a little bit.
Speaker 6 (23:03):
Of Eagles action from that. So we talked about Detroit
being our biggest liability.
Speaker 5 (23:08):
One of our biggest winners actually throughout this season has
been the Eagles. So we had been throughout this playoffs
hoping that the Eagles be one of the teams that
could get there to the super Bowl.
Speaker 6 (23:17):
If we would have.
Speaker 5 (23:17):
Got Eagles bills, that would have been a dream super Bowl.
But from a future standpoint, we have a very big
head start on the Eagles maybe be a great winner
as of right now. So we're taking we're still taking
about fifty to fifty action on this game, but that
is why we're at that price because we do want
to write a little bit more Eagles action. So hopefully
(23:37):
we can get that, you know, just because of the
fact that as of right now, Chiefs are an okay winner,
but we'd like to even that out just a little bit.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
What would be ideal beyond that, Christian without getting too
crazy like we really need purple Gator Raider, you know,
anything like that. But with the total in mind, what
would be the ideal outcome side and total for you guys.
Speaker 5 (23:59):
Yes, so the total is getting hit all overs on everything.
We were at forty nine and a half, we were
still taking overs there. The market has moved down to
forty nine. We went with the market despite the fact
that we were taking nothing but overs at forty nine
and a half, still taking it at forty nine. At
this current moment, on the money line standpoint, we're taking
(24:20):
about fifty five percent of our action on the Eagles.
On that spread, it might as one and a half.
We're taking about fifty five percent on the Chiefs, So
we are pretty close to fifty to fifty at this point.
Right now, the book is still going to want the
Eagles because of that future's live built or the futures
winner that we have potentially coming in. So Eagles in
a low scoring game right now would be a dream
for us.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
What about props wise, I would imagine that the Kelsey
Godder Berkley a lot of homes over rushing, like all
these overs are being hit in this game.
Speaker 6 (24:52):
Yeah, that's funny.
Speaker 5 (24:53):
I have a bunch ready to talk about and you nailed.
Speaker 6 (24:57):
Almost all of them getting it.
Speaker 5 (25:00):
So Dallas Goddard has been a really big one. That
is maybe a little bit more surprising. His over receptions
at four and a half, we've gotten a ton on that.
Over His receiving yards I believe was at forty six
and a half at one point we're up to sixteen
and a half, still taking overs on that.
Speaker 6 (25:17):
You mentioned Mahomes rushing. We talked about this a couple
of times in the last couple of weeks.
Speaker 5 (25:21):
He tends to have a big long rush in big games,
and betters are are doing that, so so his longest
rush has been getting bet his rushing yards, his rushing attempts,
all that on Mahomes day, mcchelsey and obviously Saquan I
think one's number, funny enough, has been going down. His
rushing yards was at I think one fifteen, one sixteen
(25:44):
at one point we're down to one twelve at the MGM,
and that's about market consensus, despite the fact that we
have written very few bets on that under.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
It's because, by the way, every single person has tweet
how the Chiefs have not allowed one hundred yard rusher
on like eighteen straight playoff games that to me has
does not matter at all for this game. I don't
know why people get sucked into these numbers. Guys like that.
That's each game is his own game. That doesn't mean
anything for for why Barkley may or may not have
a good game this weekend or next week.
Speaker 4 (26:11):
I should say, yeah, one of one of my biggest
bets so far. You know, it's funny here in town.
For the last two decades, I've been getting in line
at the lottery to line up to make the bet.
Prop bets usually on Tuesday. It moved to Thursday about
ten years ago, and here bet MGM. I said it
(26:35):
on about every show I did this week, giving guys
a free plug. But it's a true plug bet. You
guys had prop bets up, like one of the first
books in the world that have prop bets up. It
hurts a guy like me, believe it or not, when
when prop bets are up on Monday, because it was
real simple this town that I live in, Las Vegas,
they don't put them up till later in the week.
I mean they put them up yesterday most of the
(26:56):
sports books, so they have a big guide now looking
at all different sports books lines, but yet I still
found Barkley some pretty good bets on longest rush, which
I like the under and I we'll talk about that later.
But my one thing I was going to talk to
you about is, Yes, you guys are one of the lowest.
And I was wondering why on the one twelve and
a half on Barkley by the way, minus o five
(27:17):
on the under. But yeah, you guys are one of
the lowest. Do you expect a lot of towards game time?
What would you say percentage anyway, just in general on
a Super Bowl, what percentage of your bets will come
in on Sunday? Not only props side total, but props
also what would you think your percentage would be even
(27:37):
compared to the regular season.
Speaker 5 (27:40):
So it's still a lot. We are probably a little
bit less than ten percent of what I think that
will end up getting by Super Bowl Sunday.
Speaker 4 (27:48):
That's big.
Speaker 5 (27:49):
Yeah, yeah, but I do think on Sunday we tend
to get over fifty percent of the action come in,
and even on that somewhere around ten to fifteen, even
up to twenty percent.
Speaker 6 (27:59):
Well, I mean in the last two hours. So while
we've already taken a ton of bets.
Speaker 5 (28:05):
A lot of these bets are usually by the smart
people that know they want to get him in early
to get the numbers they want, but the public usually
waits till Sunday.
Speaker 1 (28:14):
You know, it's funny, Christian. Before you go, there have
to be some bets that are made where you immediately
know not as sharp.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (28:22):
Right right like, immediately, I can't imagine a sharp is
like you know, and I'm gonna take this song by
Kendrick Lamar to be the first song you're right like,
and it might be right, but you probably know immediately
just based on the bet where it's like, yeah, this
is a recreational guy is not a sharp guy at all.
Do you find yourself being accidentally judgmental when some bets
(28:42):
are flying in.
Speaker 5 (28:44):
Yeah, we took a couple five hundred dollars bets on
Kicker MVPs and those were the type of bets.
Speaker 6 (28:52):
Okay, well this one isn't so sharp.
Speaker 5 (28:55):
Yeah, we have a lot of abilities to believe it
or not on the Kicker MVPs, but we obviously welcome it.
A Kicker wins at MVP, that will be an amazing
day for a sportsbook.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
Man, no doubt. All right, Christian, always good catching up
with you man, Thank you for the time, and have
a great Sunday.
Speaker 6 (29:09):
Yeah, of course, you guys will try to get next week. Christian,
both Sunday.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
Sounds great, man, looking forward to it. There he is
Christian Sippolini bet MGM, Trading manager. Hey, the good news
it keeps flowing in here because it's not just Christian
Sippolini joining us. It is Isaac Loewenkron, who is with
us this morning as well. I love what's going on?
Has there been any big news going on here?
Speaker 7 (29:32):
Just a little bit with all apologies to you know,
college basketball, the super Bowl, you know, and guys. Within
the last few minutes it has become officially official. The
Los Angeles Lakers past tense, have traded Anthony Davis to
(29:54):
the Dallas Mavericks for Luka Doncic. The full trade the
Lakers get Doncic, Maxi Kleve, and Mark Keith Morris. The
Mavericks get Davis, Max Christy and the Lakers twenty twenty
nine first round draft pick. Also as part of the deal,
that Utah Jazz gets Jalen Hood Schaffino and two draft picks. Again,
(30:14):
it is now official. It was officially announced within the
last few minutes, the Lakers trading Anthony Davis to the
Mavericks for Luka Doncic.
Speaker 4 (30:23):
Now, this was.
Speaker 7 (30:24):
First all reported at twelve twelve am Eastern Time on
Sunday morning. So let's take a sampling of the reaction
to the trade at that time, shall we. First of all,
at Greek Locks commented has to be hacked, there is
no way. At Scuba Ryan commenting quote, bro, I had
(30:49):
to check ten times to see if this was a
real account. WTF. The reaction continuing from at Jimmy Fingers nineteen,
who posted was this may be to the Dodgers. The
reaction even coming from present NBA contemporaries see j McCollum
of the New Orleans Pelicans commenting, quote, gotta pack them
(31:12):
bags just in case if the don got traded. Lord
only knows. Then from a Dallas standpoint, at quinyin Clamps commenting,
when did Jerry Jones take over? Is the GM of
them haves?
Speaker 2 (31:25):
Unquote?
Speaker 7 (31:26):
And guys, I'm gonna leave you with two honest to goodness,
absolutely true tweets all right at trill Bro Dude posted
on Friday night. Quote. If you're wondering when the next
time a huge NBA trade is going to happen, please
consider that I'm going to a concert on Saturday night,
(31:49):
so expect it then unquote, and then to top it all,
December twenty seventh, twenty twenty two, a Twitter user named
at bought stan acc tweet quote, Luca and Lebron will
be on the same team in twenty twenty five. I'm
from the future. Unquote that from December twenty seventh, twenty
(32:13):
twenty two.
Speaker 1 (32:14):
Back to you guys, it's a good call, right there.
Could have made some money if he made a futures betters.
I don't know how you cash in on that.
Speaker 3 (32:21):
If you if you don't, you get Twitter fame.
Speaker 1 (32:25):
Yeah, you get a couple of retweets, now, like wow,
this dude called it. But that's another layer to this
real fast is you've got Chris Haynes, who covers the NBA,
one of these insider types, and he put it out
there that because the story is that Lebron was at
dinner last night, right, so the Lakers they beat the Knicks,
(32:47):
They're in New York City late dinner. He's out there
and he checks his phone. He's like, whoa, whoa, Oh,
Luka Doncic has been traded to the Lakers and Anthony
Davis is gone. So this happened a couple of days
ago where the Lakers they they got a call from
Dallas and Dallas is like, are you interested in Luka Doncic?
(33:08):
So they took forty eight hours to figure it out
if this is what they were going to do immediately
when Dallas called them a couple of days ago, they
reached out to Rich Paul, that's Lebron's agent. And there's
absolutely zero chance that Rich Paul took this phone call
and didn't let Lebron know a couple of days ago.
(33:29):
So this idea that Lebron was just eating spaghetti last
night and this is the first he's heard about this
trade is nonsense. There's no way he didn't have any idea.
But it kind of seems like that, like, oh I
was just eating No way, man, he absolutely knew something
like this was in the works.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
Well, it doesn't make him the bad guy, right, I'm
not saying it does, no, no, But if no, if
it's reported in a way that he didn't know, it
turns the anger on this to someone else, right, not himself,
which again I mean, it's kind of funny that he
would take the brunt of this anyways, because he's not
actually that he's not, you know, Lebron's not in charge,
(34:15):
I do think guys. To that end, this does signal
that essentially the Lakers might be out of the Clutch business,
Like they're taking this back now from Clutch and now
it's their decision on how we build the team.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
Well, yeah, I hear you, but they're in the Lakers business,
right and if you can get your hands on Luka
Doncic for the next ten years, it's like that's where
we're going, you know. So I hear you.
Speaker 3 (34:48):
I agree, But like it's being framed as like a
move that Clutch did not know about, to your point
about just like we're they asked, you know, Ad was
sent to Los Angeles, showed up in LA because of
Clutch essentially, and now they're shipping him away without without
Clutches knowledge. That's your point. Probably untrue, but it seems
(35:10):
like they're trying to build this narrative that the Lakers
are taking back the organization from Clutch because they've made
decisions like drafting Lebron's son that are very pro Lebron
and pro Clutch, which I'm not saying is something they
should have been doing. But Bronni James should not be
in the NBA. I mean, like we we know this now,
(35:31):
you want to draft him for the fun story which
we talked about when it happened. It's like a cool story.
I get to play with my son. How great is that?
He shouldn't see NBA minutes like I did the other
night and get I get the game was a blowout,
but he shouldn't be in that situation to play actually
playing an NBA game over people that should be in
an NBA game.
Speaker 4 (35:48):
Definitely definitely agree with that. I kinda hated that for
you know, listen, I have to be blunt. I am
against I root against the Lakers. I just root against
him for many reasons, and that's just one of them.
Speaker 1 (36:01):
That's a it's a public team, right, So if you're
you know, looking to bet fade mode, sure, absolutely, Yeah,
it's just a hater.
Speaker 3 (36:09):
It's okay, a lot of people around there.
Speaker 1 (36:12):
Well, there's a lot of value going the other way
against big brands.
Speaker 4 (36:16):
It's but it's.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
More fun to paint you as a Laker hater.
Speaker 3 (36:22):
Right, how about let's.
Speaker 4 (36:24):
Pick it up.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
Let's pick it up.
Speaker 3 (36:25):
All right.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
We've got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper, Jeff Schwartz, eight
year NFL veteran, I'm Brian No. Coming up next. The
parlay platter will each have one selection for you. I
hear Schwartz is looking at hockey over here. That's right,
hashtag Schwartz Syndicate has it. Got the system going on here,
(36:46):
so we're all ears. Coming up next, it is Fox
Sports Radios Campdown to Kickoff presented by BETMGM. It is
Fox Sports Radios Campdown to Kickoff presented by bet MGM.
Every time you make a wager at bet MGM, you
earn bet MGM rewards point that could be redeemed for
things like bonus bets or converted to MGM rewards points
that could be used towards dining shows and hotel rooms
(37:08):
at over twenty MGM resorts. All right, let's do this.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
Check this out with our late letter.
Speaker 1 (37:17):
Yes, the platter is here. We each have one selection
for you. We pull it together for a greater payout.
Speaker 4 (37:23):
Crack.
Speaker 1 (37:23):
We'll start with you, man, what's something you like, go.
Speaker 4 (37:25):
Warming up with the Bullpens. I mean, not even eight
in the morning here on the West coast. Let's start
right out with the Kansas City Chiefs. Money lines. Okay, cool,
even let's.
Speaker 3 (37:36):
We're not doing one like for today. Okay, well let's not.
Dot's aut hockey in there. But now now yeah go wherever?
Speaker 4 (37:43):
Yeah yeah you could. They'll have action.
Speaker 3 (37:46):
We have more segments later to get picks for today,
so I will do one that plays along with the
NFL theme because I don't I wanted to cash to
next weekend. We can put it next week Bran, are
you doing NFL?
Speaker 6 (37:57):
Like?
Speaker 3 (37:57):
What are you doing? Brian?
Speaker 1 (37:59):
It kind of depends on what you do.
Speaker 4 (38:00):
Oh, how about we do?
Speaker 3 (38:01):
How about we do NFL? Okay, how we do NFL?
Just because I think that, you know, let's just keep
it the NFL for now. So let me look up
what I want to do. I have an idea of
where I want to be. I'm gonna do what I
what I'm I'm gonna do it because I think this
is the way this game has to be. Travis Kelce
over six and a half perceptions. It's one more than usual.
(38:23):
I get only five and a half. It's plus one
ten right now. But here's the deal, guys. We talked
about this heading into the Houston game. When Travis Kelce
gets a week of rest before a playoff game, he
is money. Okay. He's at at least six six catch
and six targets in all those games, and I think
this might be his last NFL Game's fallowing personal opinion, Okay, go,
(38:46):
it's an information. I think he goes out with a bag,
he goes play a ton of zone. There's openings in
zone for him. So give me Travis Kelsey over six
and a half. We talk about my three hockey system
plays later in the show. They're up and running. I'm
gonna talk about him. I'm gonna brought up my horizons
from being the football guy. I might bet an organ
today as well. That's probably not gonna go well for me,
(39:08):
but for right now, in the parlay platter, were putting
in Traviscountcy over six and a half receptions. Again, they
don't have alternate reception numbers. I don't think people do that,
but if there's an alternate, you can five in the
five and a half. Be my guest for six and
a half.
Speaker 1 (39:22):
For now, Okay, I do like Saquon Barkley's rushing attempts prop,
but it doesn't work for the parlay platter, right, So
I have to go in a different direction based on
the prop the picks that you guys have. So I'm
gonna go with the team total. This doesn't necessarily go
(39:43):
against your bet, Crack, but I'm gonna take the Eagles
over twenty three and a half points. I just think
that Saquon is such a force, and this Chiefs defense
has been leaky against the rush in the playoffs, So
I think it's gonna be a heavy dose of Saquon
and you got a fantastic offensive line, we know the
playmakers on the outside. I think the Eagles can get
(40:06):
to twenty four points in this matchup. So that right
there would give you plus six seventy five, which is
cracks money line on the Chiefs, Jeff taking Kelsey over
six and a half catches and team total on the
Eagles over twenty three and a half points. I would
have put Saquon in there, but it's not possible. Here
you go. What do you think, guys? We're under the window?
(40:28):
Cash it right now?
Speaker 3 (40:30):
Cool?
Speaker 4 (40:32):
All right?
Speaker 1 (40:32):
Coming up next, we get to the big game. Initial thoughts.
We'll compare notes coming up. Alright, what is going on?
Happy Sunday to you all right, guys, beyond the trade,
which we'll get back to. Luka Doncic going to the Lakers,
Anthony Davis going to Dallas. There's this super Bowl thing
(40:56):
gonna be going on next week. That's right, Yeah, Chiefs, Chiefs, Eagles.
I wanted to compare notes with you guys, just to
hear where your head's at.
Speaker 4 (41:06):
Crack.
Speaker 1 (41:06):
You just shared in the parlay platter your your Chiefs,
you know, with the money.
Speaker 4 (41:12):
Been going with them all year, you know, in the
playoffs especially, and everyone's saying that all the Chiefs cheating
and all the how it's screwed for the Chiefs. Just
better on the Chiefs every week, Just better on the
exactly right.
Speaker 3 (41:27):
That's what I've been doing.
Speaker 4 (41:27):
People love to complain, though, that's the problem. They rather
complain about losing them win the game.
Speaker 1 (41:32):
It's a sick thing.
Speaker 4 (41:34):
Drama, it's their brain. It's a sick thing how people
are wired today. They're watching shows on TV about you know, complaining,
and it's just it sells.
Speaker 1 (41:42):
I guess I'd rather have the cash, Yeah, right, find
a way to profit. But yeah, I love what It's
just so funny with everyone that's it's fixed, it's rigged.
If that's true, then just bet your life savings on
the Chiefs.
Speaker 3 (41:59):
That's what I've been doing it for years. It's paid off.
Speaker 1 (42:02):
Yeah, and you have more of a bankroll to fade
the voice, you know, that's how that works out. Listen,
when I look at this game, we would all agree
that the Eagles have the better roster. Y well they do.
They have more. Tell man, each time it comes down
to it, it's like nitty gritty time you're entering in
(42:23):
this bet. Every time I go to if I'm getting
close to betting the Eagles, I stop and think, Man,
I'm betting against mahomes Read and Spags and I'm betting
on Hurts and Sirianni. And it's like, I'm not telling
you the Eagles can't win the game. They absolutely are
live in this game. But as a betting thing, if
(42:45):
the bet doesn't work out, you don't want to be
kicking yourself. And I think if you back Philly and
they don't win, you're gonna be kicking yourself more than
if you if it plays out the other way. Right,
if you back the the Chiefs and they don't win,
I don't think you're like, what was I thinking?
Speaker 4 (43:04):
Man?
Speaker 1 (43:05):
I don't think that's a reaction.
Speaker 3 (43:07):
After the game, You're absolutely right. The Chiefs win because
they win the moments they have to, right, they win
all the keem out and said, look, we can argue
whether or not josh Allen was short, okay, but in
that moment, Chris Jones made a really good play. He
knifed between the garden and center. The Chiefs also knew
(43:31):
josh Allen was running to the left that she always does
on those states, which most quarterbacks end up doing anyways,
and they stuffed them up. They got to them. And
what do they do? They merely score a touchdown fourth
and five? What do they do the out scheme the Bills?
The next drive right to close out, to close out
the Bills? What do they did? Throw the ball twice?
The guys are wide open both times. They just win
(43:55):
these moments And in this game are the Eagles gonna
win more of the big moments in Kansas City? And
so far in six years, two teams have done it.
Tampa Bay with Tom Brady, really Tom Brady twice right
twenty eighteen, and even then, I mean d Ford was
off sides, which is very unlike the Chiefs, right, and
(44:15):
Joe Burrow did it, and that game took a really
a fall from the Chiefs from twenty one to three
and lost that game. These big moments, the Chiefs continue
to win, and I think that really matters that you're right,
Brian offensive line, Eagles running back, Eagles wide receivers, Eagles
tight end. I think Chiefs, but not like doubt. That's
(44:35):
got her to bum defensive line. There's no Chris Jones
the other side. But it's the Eagles right linebacker, Eagles secondary.
Think Kansas City. They get that one, okay, and again
that's me the Eagles second. There's now kicking is important.
Eagles kicker Jake Elliotts struggled this year. Harrison Bucker is
certainly a better kicker than him. But and then you
get coaching quarterback right where you would go to the Chiefs.
(44:57):
But they win these moments.
Speaker 4 (44:58):
Man.
Speaker 3 (44:58):
Look I joked about with Christian Sippolini the idea of
the Chiefs have not a lot one hundred yard rusher
in the playoffs in eighteen straight games, and that doesn't
to me. It doesn't matter for this game, but it
does tell you a couple of things. One is the
Chiefs often are ahead in these games and teams can't
run the football right. They're playing from behind it a lot,
so they don't un the football. But two, and this
is the important part, is the Chiefs defense does tend
(45:21):
to rise the occasion when it matters the most. And
I see, look, I love Dvoa. We talk about this
often right from from football and South Football Outsiders of
Aaron shats with with you know, with sum me with
ft and fantasy Now was Football Outsiders. I love dva
I love all, I love ep I love all these numbers.
They're good supplements to what we do, right. And I
asked him this week, like, how do you square the
(45:45):
Chiefs numbers to what they play like in the postseason?
He goes, I can't, Like, you can't use numbers crack
to talk about the Chiefs because they are a different team.
I saw a funny tweet that said something about how
Xavier worthy in the last four games, and it was
like it has Astro said the four games the Chiefs
(46:05):
care about, and it was like the numbers and numbers
were much better in the last four games and the
rest of the regular season. Like that's how you have
to approach the Chiefs and you say, look what happened
to the regularly? This is so anti football because it's
not the way football is supposed to work. What happens
like from Christmas, like before, it does not matter. Christmas
after tends to matter for the Chiefs. It used to
be Thanksgiving for the Patriots, right Like Thanksgiving was their
(46:27):
cutoff time. It feels like it's almost like Christmas now.
So it's just you have to think about this team
so much differently than other teams that I think it's
really hard to actually figure them out because you can't
use the data from previous weeks.
Speaker 4 (46:44):
The first thought I had when this matchup comes up is,
you know, the Big Game two years ago? Rematches in
this game very rare. Last one I can probably remember last. Secondly,
if I'm wrong, was that the Cowboys Bills playing each other.
Speaker 3 (46:57):
For the Chiefs, it was last year, he goes, Niner,
I mean Niner's Chiefs.
Speaker 4 (47:02):
Okay, yeah, yeah, but I remember, like it just reminds
me of like the nineties for right, Yeah, so everyone
remembers though the Eagle Chiefs game two years ago was
really exciting game that came down to the last second.
I mean did. But I think people forget that the
Eagles had control of that game. They were up twenty
four or fourteen early at the half. Philly did a
(47:23):
great job shutting down Mahomes in that first half, but
the Chiefs scored touchdowns on their first two possessions of
the second half.
Speaker 1 (47:30):
Was crack because I want you to pick it up.
But think about going into halftime. Mahomes he had the
ankle injury. He's limping off the field and you're like, wow,
ten point deficit, Mahomes is banged up, and then the
second half began and you're like, oh, when he.
Speaker 4 (47:46):
Was lipping off, tell me, tell me that the Joe
public out there is not like, oh my god, they're done.
I'm betting this halftime. This is easy. You know, it
was really amazing and you know this game also look
at the spread. This game is expecting to come down
to the wire too, and if it does, how can
you not look back at this big You know, this
(48:06):
Chiefs team, what they've done this year in close games
and their experience in this big game. You know, I
keep saying big game because out here in Vegas you
can't use the term super Bowl. Even every party in
town's big game party big Game. So anyway, I did
bet the Chiefs as soon as they opened the line opened,
I bet like pick mine is fifteen, and I'm actually
(48:28):
surprised it hasn't really moved at all. But then again,
lots of sharp guys that I know, lots of sharps
that formulate book lines and stuff, they are actually on
the Eagles in this game. So and usually it's not
a Usually a big game like this, you don't really bet.
Those sharps don't really bet. Sides are totals in the
(48:48):
big game. This is on unusual that people actually, you
guys broke it down there by position to Yeah, yeah,
I'm gonna agree with you. I think I think tight
end and stuff like all you said, you hit the
tight end. Maybe not. I think maybe even Dallas is
even better than not better, maybe healthier than Kelsey or
just younger young. Yeah, so I think you guys are
(49:11):
right position by position. It's pretty scary when I heard
Jeff saying that I have to wait, I have a
lot of money on this game. I have a lot
of money in futures. I have thousands and thousands at
seven to one, four and a half to won. I
didn't have your dollar, but I have to admit it.
When I heard Jeff talking about each year position, I'm
saying to myself, do I take this plus one and
a half minus well five at bet MGM. I still
(49:34):
haven't done it, So it just has a little bit
of a hedge, but uh, go a bit. It goes
to overtime and lands on one. I mean, Jesus full.
Speaker 1 (49:41):
School that nightmare right there. Yeah, if you bet the
other side. I'm so curious about the running games in
this matchup because we'd all know about Saquon and the
Eagles offensive line. What you just said, Jeff is interesting
because even though the Chiefs rush defense has been leaky
in the play, they allowed over one hundred yards to
(50:01):
Joe Mixon, James Cook had a really good second half.
He had over eighty yards on only thirteen rushes. So
the Eagles, I expect Saquan to get a heavy dose
of touches in this game because he's their best weapon
and it seems to be a matchup in the eagles favor.
So I want to see what the Chiefs rush defense
(50:23):
can do, and then against that Eagles front, I just
don't know that the Chiefs are going to be able
to run the ball very well at all. I wonder
what the Chiefs running game is going to be able
to provide, because if you don't have that, it's the
Mahomes show. It's Mahomes pick up what you can here
and there running it and then we're just prow throw
throw mode. I want to see if it breaks down
(50:44):
like that for case.
Speaker 3 (50:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (50:46):
So I.
Speaker 3 (50:48):
So Mahomes pass attempt to thirty six and a half,
it's plus one oh five right now. It was thirty
five and a half. I probably should have gone earlier.
The Chiefs move they're all pro left guard Joe Toney
from left guard to left tackle about right before Christmas,
I think the two games before Christmas. Because left tackle
was a was a hole for them, right they drafted
Sue Mattia who didn't play well, and Janya Morris didn't
(51:11):
play well. Then it was hurt and then they put
Humphreys in there for a week and just wasn't working out.
And Tone you played a little left tackle last season,
but they said, look, let's solidify left tackle and make
Mahomes happy, and it's done well. But the problem is
they haven't run the ball well since they moved Joe Toni,
which makes sense, right, you move an all pro left
guard to left tackle, you bring in someone else. But
pass posession has been better. Look at the Eagles run
(51:34):
defense and look at Jalen Carter, and they're not gonna
run the ball well in this game. Yeah, So that's
why I think it's in Mahomes. You know, thirty eight
to forty past SEMs game, which is a lot, it's
a high it's a high number. But the Chiefs are
the best in the NFL at creating quote unquote run
plays that are pass plays.
Speaker 1 (51:51):
That's right, yep, it is. It's the It was the
end of the Buffalo game last week. That's like exactly what.
Speaker 3 (51:57):
Those are the type of plays that they consider sort
of and last week they did a ton of RPOs
and they threw the ball a bunch of those RPOs,
Like those are sort of run plays. Like the offense
lines blocking run Homes is passing the ball because of
the advantage, Like that's what they're going to try to
do in this game. So I think Mahomes has to
throw the ball, Bogs, they're gonna they're gonna run the ball,
and the Chiefs guess what, they know that too. They'll
create a game plan around not having to run the
(52:19):
football and crack the slip you sent over last night
the cream hunt one. Yeah, is that under receiving and
rushing attempts. I can't quite figure out what that is
because I like it.
Speaker 4 (52:33):
I actually bet the one I bet in the casino.
Speaker 3 (52:35):
Here, right, Yeah, But the ticket doesn't really know anything.
Speaker 4 (52:39):
So I send that to a couple guys. I send
that to like three different sets of guys. You guys,
I always send first all three of you asked that
because I guess it doesn't look clear there.
Speaker 3 (52:50):
It doesn't say anything. It's just yeah, it didn't say
it doesn't give an over under. It doesn't say what
you went wagered on, just just thirteen and a half.
I don't know what that means, because this rush attempts
is like eight to half.
Speaker 4 (52:59):
I know it's it's it is under, but I'm just
looking here is total? Are you? Is that under? I
don't even know, like total run under?
Speaker 3 (53:07):
Like, you're right, it's that rushing and receiving attempts.
Speaker 4 (53:11):
No, that that's just the rushing attempts, just rushing attempts.
Speaker 3 (53:15):
I think I saw eleven and a half, so maybe
you got a really good number.
Speaker 4 (53:19):
Again, well I laid a dollar fifty too, so but
they rushing attempts.
Speaker 3 (53:22):
Right now for him on bet MGM is eleven and
a half under minus one thirty five.
Speaker 4 (53:28):
No, no, that's not a play.
Speaker 3 (53:31):
Well I know, I agree. So that so you got
thirteen and a half for you telling me thirteen and
a half. Yes, I'm not making a play eleven.
Speaker 4 (53:37):
Minus a dollar fifty. I sent you guys a copy
of the ticket. Yeah, yeah, and then they're taking they're
taking some money here, I'll tell you what. Not enough
money in town, guys. Not enough money here. That alone
was forty five hundred to win three thousand, as you
could see the ticket I sent over. Yeah some really
the other night we opened up, you know, Thursday, Like
I just I just gave MGM credit, but also BETMGM
(54:00):
that hurts me by coming out with props Sunday night
after the division games, and our props here in town
don't come on till Thursday. So Thursday we have a
lottery in town here at the West Gate. I'm standing
in line, and all I'm saying is, well, I know
what's going to happen here. These packets are going to
come out and there's going to be no you know.
(54:21):
I mean, just just just look at this. This is
this is fifty three pages from the casino, and I'm like, well,
I know there's going to be no bets for me,
probably one or two because it's real simple. All the
other lines are going to be ironed out already, and
they have guides to go by because of all these
sports books that put out the line Sunday and Monday
wasn't the case.
Speaker 6 (54:43):
You know.
Speaker 4 (54:43):
I'm not bragging about the number. Just so happens that
I'm glad I brought. I had, just so happens that
I had forty thousand and chips in my safe deposit box.
I said, let me just bring just in case I
bet the whole forty. I mean, I couldn't believe there
was that many bets available at the counter there. As
a matter of fact, mister Brian Know was with me.
Speaker 3 (55:04):
Thank god, he told me on Friday. He told me
Friday morning.
Speaker 4 (55:08):
Thank god, I had the beard of Brian No in
the back of me with his fake mustache and beard
on going up behind me online, because that's how it works.
You only allowed to have two bets max bets, and
then you get to the back of the line and
you have to stand there again and hope that you're
you know, none of these pros that were up there,
because let's face it, anyone that's standing there on Thursday,
(55:32):
they probably win lifetime winners on proposition bets. So I
was expecting not as many people. I thought there was
long going to be a few. There was about twenty
of us, and I wanted Brian to see it firsthand,
first time he was ever there for this lottery type
of prop betting. And Brian, what'd you think that there
was a lot of people. It was pretty fun. You
(55:53):
got to meet some of the sharpest guys in the world.
As you notice, some of those guys they don't even
function well in social city situations. Some of them don't
know how to wear the odor in. I mean, it's
it's really strong, like these guys are the bugs of
the world. I mean, but what did you think?
Speaker 1 (56:08):
No, it was great. It was a lot of fun.
And that's what's funny too about some of these guys,
is it sounds. It seems like it's prefaced the similar
way with a lot of these guys where you're like
crack will be like, hey, you see that guy right there,
that guy has one x amount of money or this
guy is tell me.
Speaker 4 (56:26):
What's even doing here? Right, he's one thirty million.
Speaker 1 (56:29):
Cars just based on his lifelong bets or whatever, and
it'll say the same thing. He might not look like much, Yeah,
but this guy has and fill in the blank with
all kinds of impressive stuff.
Speaker 4 (56:42):
But yeah, it's true. You would never know that was
my buddy Randy. He's actually a friend of mine. Randy
h he has won fourteen cars from casinos. He's genius,
he could figure out things. And uh, he's he's a
winning NFL better, one of the three or four that
I actually know that win in the NFL lifetime destroying casinos,
(57:02):
destroying sports books. And yeah, Randy, you'd never know what.
He just wear's his you know whatever, his Notre Dame
Jersey just to hang it out and just you know,
goes into casinos there and you know, Randy's got so
much money. Ran this week, Randy bet I'll give you
his his prop bets that he bet I'll give you
some of them, like he stood online. I actually went
(57:23):
there with Randy. I picked him up where he was
staying in town and picked him up, drove him down there,
and we didn't know he was in front of me
online when we were the first two people there, by
the way, and I didn't know what he was going
to bet when he.
Speaker 3 (57:34):
Was up there.
Speaker 4 (57:34):
He bet something with mahomes. Was it his biggest path.
I'll give you that in a second. But like Randy,
I had to embarrass him. But he said this publicly.
He says to me, I don't know, maybe two years agoes,
oh crack uh. Just to let you know, wells Fargo
now is giving you ten thousand dollars when you put
five hundred thousand and for two months like five hundred thousand,
(57:57):
what are you talking? Like, Randy, you have five thousand.
You're checking account like, he goes, well, yeah, I do,
and I think it's a good idea to put the
five hundred. Okay, if you want to loan me five hundred,
I'll do it, like five hundred thousand in a checking account,
like that's how much money this? By the way, that's
his only source of income. He doesn't do anything else
(58:19):
he just gambles for a living. But Randy has busted
out casino, has done a lot of really sharp work
and his whole lifetime and a good guy. And yeah,
we went to dinner with him, right, Yeah, yeah, they
went to dinner with him, and Randy got a comp
for dinner for mostly in that restaurant. It's been there
for Benny Hannah Benny hannahs And yeah, yeah, it was cool.
(58:39):
It was a great time. Yeah it was.
Speaker 1 (58:41):
It was a great time. It was a lot of fun.
So it was good to hang out with you guys there.
And I told Jeff this story, I'll say real fast,
because crack it just tossed me this five thousand dollars
ship I did. And He's like, all right, these are
the two bets. I won an over on this guy.
I want an under on this other guy in terms
of catches, bet the max and you know, if it's
(59:04):
if the odds are any different, don't bet it. And
I'm like, okay. So one prop was for two thousand dollars,
the other prop was for twenty four hundred dollars, and
one the line moved a little bit with one one
was supposed to be plus one twenty. It was plus
one ten, and so I'm kind of like thinking out loud, like, okay.
Speaker 4 (59:22):
Plus one ten? Did I tell you it? Bet? Anyway?
Speaker 1 (59:27):
Crack didn't. He didn't budge. So I'm like, screw it,
let's put it in there. Oh yeah yeah, but it's
for that. It ads for two g's, you know. And
then when I got back in line, I'm like, man,
this is gonna be so obvious. I was just a
beard right now. I was entering somebody else's bet. So
I'm like, yeah, i'd like under a six and a
half punts for seventy five dollars is what I would like.
Speaker 4 (59:51):
I just entered in Jef Jeff let me. I hate
to do it. I love Brian. Brian's in Vegas. Here,
I'm showing them some of the ropes on some of
these things, and so I got your let's do this,
let's do this first. Yeah, yeah, let's let's do it all.
This one, this one was just almost shocked to me.
(01:00:12):
All right, let's well take a break and.
Speaker 1 (01:00:13):
Come yeah, yeah, well we'll do that coming up. Yeah,
absolutely it is. We've got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper.
Jeff Schwartz eight year NFL veteran, I'm Brian. No, you

Coming up next little story time with Crack and then
also one of us smells a rat with this other
(01:00:55):
story we'll dive into that as well. It is Fox
Sports Radios Countdown to kick Off presented by BETMGM. It
is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to kick Off presented by BETMGM.
BETMGM offers all different types of no sweat tokens and
boost tokens. Be on the lookout for no sweat, same
game parlay tokens and parlay boost tokens, just to name
a couple, and be sure to follow BETMGM across all
(01:01:17):
socials at bet MGM. Okay, story time with the k Man.
Let's do it right?
Speaker 4 (01:01:23):
Yeah, oh so, so we have the lottery every year.
It's been going on since the beginning of time here
in Vegas. They line up, everyone gets to line up
to make a bet. When the props come out, you
get two props per person. You go to the front
of the line, you make a bet. When you're done,
you go to the back of the line to get
back online to make one of these fifty pages of bets.
(01:01:43):
That's all you're allowed. So now I have Brian with me,
I have Randy with me, and I say to Brian,
he's right behind me, and I say, Brian, you have
a card here, write a player card. I don't know
why I was thinking he did, because you have to
have a player card in order to bet. I said,
all right, you have to go get a player card.
I said, yeah, just have your girl come over here
and get you know, get a player card. And I
didn't really explain it. Well, I guess because.
Speaker 1 (01:02:05):
Shot shocking crack didn't explain something.
Speaker 4 (01:02:07):
Well, I just figured he knew he gets he gets
out of line and he's gone. I look behind me,
he's gone. There's like thirty people, not thirty, there's twenty
people in line. We're about, like, I don't know, tenth
and eleventh and twelve meet him and ready he's gone.
And I'm like, wait, where'd he go? I''m yelling, Bri,
I'm yelling the casino, and I said, I needed you
(01:02:30):
to get your girlfriend to put her body back on
this line here, and even the nerds around us, you know,
I'm not saying I'm not one of them. But the
guy like grabbed his pencil and stuck it up his
nose and said to me, do you know if he
left the line, and and like I was like, oh
(01:02:50):
my god, he left the line, and you know, you
have to get a card to bet, and it was
just kind of funny, and I just laughed at myself.
I said, oh god, well I didn't like so I
just think everyone one knows and no, of course you
don't know. This is something that's only for you know,
so many people. And but it worked out. Okay, we
got the only one I wanted to get one, and
I didn't get in. Do you guys know that that
(01:03:11):
second one on the list, the guy right in front
of Randy Bett. I can't believe it. So seven hundred
and fifty props. This guy is like a hit up
my prop.
Speaker 3 (01:03:21):
I was so mad.
Speaker 4 (01:03:22):
I mean, right in front of Randy, like two in
front of me. Yeah, he hit it first. That was
the one. It was the longest rush. It was, oh yeah, yeah,
but checko but checko minus eight and a half over
game well rushing yards.
Speaker 3 (01:03:37):
Oh man, that that's the one that's not available. There's
two of the lists you said over there not available
so much for us yet, at least that but CHECKO
one I can't find anywhere. There's no head to head yet,
and the Capaterra one is not available.
Speaker 4 (01:03:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:03:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:03:53):
It was funny because Krack said it to me. He goes, hey,
you gotta have a player's card to to enter a
bet here, and I'm like, oh, okay, I need to
go get one, and uh, Crack makes it sound like
it was a five hour wait, you know what I mean?
Like I was just it's like a roller coaster. You
wait forever and you're about to get on the ride,
(01:04:15):
and then you're like, oh shoot, I need a speed
pass card. I didn't know that, and and then you
leave You're like, what are you? There were like ten
people behind me and my girl was eating or playing
craps or whatever she was doing.
Speaker 4 (01:04:27):
She was gone.
Speaker 1 (01:04:28):
You know, so he's like a player's card. Like, right,
I can't enter a bet without a player's card. Let
me go get a player's card.
Speaker 4 (01:04:34):
No big deal, like a.
Speaker 3 (01:04:37):
Zero seconds with me, Like we might come to Vegas
and make What does she do? What would you do
if I was if?
Speaker 5 (01:04:44):
No?
Speaker 4 (01:04:44):
No, no, I mean like what if that does she?
You said she doesn't spend much time. Liked that she
she doesn't gamble.
Speaker 3 (01:04:50):
No, I'm talking about she wouldn't spend time with me
and then in like waiting in line to gamble on something.
Speaker 4 (01:04:55):
She wouldn't do that for you.
Speaker 3 (01:04:57):
Wow, I know crack what No, she doesn't. The reason
why I don't withdraw money from my accounts is so
she doesn't know that I gamble. I mean she knows
I gamble, but then she would know that I gambled,
and she'd be like, oh you made you made this
on your reverse fade parlay last night. I'm going to
didn't give me today?
Speaker 1 (01:05:18):
Right right?
Speaker 4 (01:05:20):
Let me tell you about Brian's girl. She was the
only girl sitting at the bubble craps table with the
you know, the little bubbles jumping up and down with that,
and all these play me. But you're okay. All these
guys that were standing around like all staring at her,
you know, like and these are like broken down valise
(01:05:43):
cases on their last two dollars, trying to play bubble craps,
and uh yeah, no, Brian. Brian was cool. He was
just we walk up there and and then sure enough
the guy that's sitting two seats away from her, uh
he knew Randy, and I Randy was so oh by
the way, Randy was so excited he got recognized by
someone for I put Brandy's been on my podcast all
(01:06:03):
season long, and you know, not that it's an everyday thing,
but it happens a lot. It's listen, it's wearing gambling environments.
Of course, people are going to recognize me from any
any amount of shows we do, just like you guys.
They're going to recognize you guys. So Randy was so
excited that he got recognized. You know, this is the
guy that put the five hundred thousand in the check
in account. He's like, oh, hi, how are you sir?
(01:06:27):
Great I'm paying for dinner. He was so excited he
paid for dinner. So, yeah, it was interesting and I
really find it pretty fun that uh that yeah, that
Brian's the girls in the know of the gambling terms
and stuff. She's sitting there fireing at craps h betting,
and I thought it was I thought it was fun.
(01:06:47):
It was a fun day. I you know, Brian and
I have been going to breakfast once a week, we
go to we go to breakfast over at the West
Gate over there because they they also caught me on
based on my sports betting play. By the way, do
people don't know this? I guarantee you you know, we
don't talk about this. This is a point that MGM.
I do it on a commercial for them, but people
(01:07:09):
should know this. By betting on the MGM app, I
went over and transferred my points from the bets for
the year. I didn't realize I probably didn't realize the
amount of money was going to be on my compoints
from betting on MGM app. But I had a healthy
amount of money that I was able to transfer into
(01:07:30):
free play or meals throughout the MGM property. So the
same thing, like I said, with the West k we've
been eating for free over there every week. But also,
like I don't think we've ever talked about it on
the show betting on the bet MGM app you actually
get compensated in the ward of in the way of compoints.
So good to know.
Speaker 1 (01:07:50):
Yeah, no, absolutely, I thought Jeff was going to No, no,
I know you get caught.
Speaker 3 (01:07:55):
No, let me make this clear. Yeah, my wife would
sit at the tables and play with me because guess
what the tables A gets to be seen and wear
her fancy clothes and everyone gets to see her. And
two they obviously have the drinking, which is which is
involved in that. But but but I have to take
(01:08:17):
her to play on Fremont Street crack because she when
she plays black Chack, she does not care what the
math says. Oh, we'll just play how she wants.
Speaker 4 (01:08:27):
Oh so she's staying on sixteen verse ten.
Speaker 3 (01:08:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:08:30):
Yeah, people and the old guys around her are like,
what are you doing?
Speaker 3 (01:08:34):
So that's why we have to go to Fremont Stream
and play for a nickel instead of twenty five because
or fifty on a Friday night at you know, the
at the MGM casino. Because I can't look Oh yeah,
so we we go to Free you know we will
be She'll be there in May for BRIANO love this
for the Electric Daisy Carnival. And I'm good bating whether
(01:08:55):
or not I'll be there in May. But uh, I'm
I gotta I'm coaching or somethime.
Speaker 4 (01:09:01):
I'm not doing that Electric Daisy Carnival for any money.
Speaker 1 (01:09:04):
You know someone who is incredibly sharp when it comes
to blackjack, do you guys know? This goes by the
name of Isaac Lowenkron.
Speaker 4 (01:09:13):
He comes in town every weekend firing. I don't tell
no one.
Speaker 7 (01:09:16):
I say him green, boser and everything.
Speaker 4 (01:09:18):
Oh, I see him.
Speaker 1 (01:09:19):
It's right, I do it math in his head, you know, yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:09:22):
O fire a beautiful mind type of deal, you know.
Speaker 1 (01:09:25):
Just like the hangover right where right they kind of
are on too him like and then they're out, you know,
a little distraction. He's out. Yeah, never catch him.
Speaker 7 (01:09:35):
Yeah, tasers, man, they don't play around, folks. Speaking of
not playing around the NBA apparently not playing around because
earthshaking news overnight in the NBA and you were not
dreaming it is now indeed official. The Los Angeles Lakers
have traded past tense Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks
(01:09:58):
for Luka Doncic. The full trade, the Lakers get Doncic,
Maxi Kleiba, and Markkeith Morris. The MAVs get Davis, Max Christi,
and the Lakers twenty twenty nine first round draft pick.
As part of the deal. The Utah Jazz also gets
Jalen Hood Shaffino in two draft picks. So much reaction
from all over the sports world, starting in the NFL,
(01:10:22):
where Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and Texas native Patrick Mahomes tweeted, quote,
wait what I'm sick right now?
Speaker 3 (01:10:31):
Unquote.
Speaker 7 (01:10:32):
You know if he tweeted that a week before the
Super Bowl in any other circumstances, that tweet would be
interpreted a lot differently, with different earthshaking consequences. We even
had international reaction. This is an actual tweet from an observer,
excuse me, an observer in Uruguay, and it's kind of
(01:10:54):
dark and it needs no translation. Quote no Savella un
trosp A c and Dallas des de Ka Lee Harvey
Oswald tros Passo A. Kennedy in nineteen sixty three unquote.
This trade being analyzed in every possible way, including even
(01:11:15):
astrologically at the zodiac. GM tweeted quote, Luka Doncic pisces
with Leo Moon, Anthony Davis pisces with Scorpio Moon, Lakers
Synergy grade neutral, Mavericks Synergy Grade neutral unquote and finally, guys,
(01:11:38):
it's a rough time to be attempting to break other
sports news.
Speaker 4 (01:11:43):

really didn't think about this until now, but real quickly,
just a quick thought here is it's one thing to
be in the public eye like Luka Doncic and Anthony
(01:12:51):
Davis are, and there's good and bad with that.
Speaker 5 (01:12:54):
You get.
Speaker 1 (01:12:55):
You know, your your fans that give you props. You
have fans that are hey and are very very negative.
But it's gotta be wild for Anthony Davis to catch
word of it or see it online where Patrick Mahomes
is like, I'm sick right now.
Speaker 3 (01:13:14):
You know what I mean? Like, is a Dallas Mavericks fan.
Speaker 1 (01:13:19):
I want to make that clear, Mavericks fan. I'm sure
he's a huge Luca guy and Anthony Davis would probably
understand it. But that's not exactly like, wow, we got
a D welcome to Dallas. Man, Like, that's not just
I don't know MAVs fan six nine one three, that's
(01:13:39):
Patrick Mahomes. That's like, I'm sick right now. That's not
exactly rolling out the red carpet for a D with
his new team in Dallas right when the stars are
commenting that way. That's gotta be kind of wild to
be caught.
Speaker 4 (01:13:53):
Up in that.
Speaker 3 (01:13:54):
I would imagine that once Ad has a great game
that it'll sort of get over the sting of this.
But you're right, I mean, the future of the MAVs
feels less bountiful. I mean, like you, you sort of
had this idea like Luca's our guy for fifteen years,
and it's just yeah, not the case anymore, which is
which is wild?
Speaker 1 (01:14:14):
It really is. It's very wild.
Speaker 3 (01:14:16):
Right.
Speaker 1 (01:14:16):
We've got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper, Jeff Schwartz, eight

prop it up, so many prop bet opportunities. We got
our eye on Super Bowl fifty nine. Maybe we have
our eyes on other things, fucky, Yeah, maybe a little
NHL action. We'll get to that coming up. It's Fox

Speaker 1 (01:15:20):
Yes the prop bet market, crack love our area here.
What's something you like?
Speaker 4 (01:15:26):
I've been doing this all year and this is the
big one. This is a big game to do it in.
Let's start out with this one. Patrick Mahomes under rushing
attempts under five and a half plus all five at betmgm. Listen.
Because of all the kneel downs the last couple of weeks,
this name this is like, this number is pretty inflated
for most of the season, as number was like three
(01:15:47):
and a half over twenty uh So I like the
under here. Plenty of more props coming up. Let's start
out with this one.
Speaker 3 (01:15:54):
Okay, Okay, I told you I like my Travis Kelsey one.
I like Patrick Mahomes over. I think that put Chaco
under rushing could be something to look at I don't
think he's gonna get a lot of carriage in this
game and not gonna run the ball very well. I'll
just something that's a note, but very quickly here, guys,
so different show I do. We talked a lot about
(01:16:17):
about gambling, shocking, right, and uh. Jonathan Davis, who covers hockey,
it's been on the show a bunch of He mentioned
his system to me that you bet first. You bet
goal in the first ten minutes and first period over
in a game where a team got shut out the
previous week. This would be the previous game, I should say,
(01:16:38):
all right, so the goal in the first ten minutes
would oh and two last night, but still at sixty
seven percent for the season, sixty seven and thirty two cracks,
that's pretty good, right, first period over in those games
are fifty nine percent. There were two oh yesterday and
first put over. So there's three games today that fit
the system. Three teams got shut out in their previous games.
(01:16:59):
I have wager in the first period over and and
of goal in the first ten minutes for all three
of these games. It's a Flyers and Avalanche, it's Canadians
and Ducks, and it is A Blues and Utah Hockey Club.
So all three of those games. First period over it's good.
It's high minus one fifty, I mean, it's not a
short number. And then the goal in the first ten minutes,
(01:17:22):
which it tends to be to me. Those are backwards.
Goal in the first ten minutes tends to be pretty high.
First period over depends on the game. But yeah, I've
been watching a lot of hockey. It's been cashing, guys.
I'll keep I want to keep playing the system here, Crack,
how about that? You think I come with a hockey
Wait today?
Speaker 1 (01:17:37):
Did you you always keep us guessing over here?
Speaker 4 (01:17:41):
You know I'm rooting for you guys.
Speaker 3 (01:17:42):
Yeah, you're gonna jump in the hockey system, Crack, You're
not gonna jump in today.
Speaker 4 (01:17:46):
I can't lay a dollar fifty on something. I have
to hit about seventy percent to make my money back.
Speaker 3 (01:17:50):
Yeah, it's a sixty seven percent right now. So well,
it's gone up, over though, it's gone up. But do
not start the season this way with the numbers like this.
Speaker 1 (01:17:58):
What was your line, Crack. Some of the people with
the system, they only have the system at the end.
Speaker 4 (01:18:04):
Of the year. Yeah, when that's over, they have the
system left at least I'm not saying I'm not saying
this is it though. I'm not saying this.
Speaker 3 (01:18:12):
Yeah, sure pays other money on hockey, but just for
me myself, I'm just I'm going with the Yeah, with
the system is making me money.
Speaker 1 (01:18:18):
Hey, I like it.
Speaker 4 (01:18:19):
If it's winning, it's right, it's winning. If it's something
to you, yeah, this is something new to me. I
really don't bet hockey props.
Speaker 5 (01:18:24):
So.
Speaker 3 (01:18:26):
I've been in the business of hockey hockey. But it
is it is, it is paid off, and I will
continue to uh to do it.
Speaker 1 (01:18:35):
I've got an outside the box idea for the Super
Bowl here. Okay, now you tell me if you guys
like this or not. Hopefully you like it because I've
already met it. But crack, you might agree with this
where if you look at Casey, Jeff and I don't
anticipate a lot of rushing yards in this game. Right,
(01:18:55):
it's a great Philly front. I just don't know how
much success Casey is going to have, so they're gonna
be throwing it quite a bit. I just took all
three Casey running backs to go over their receiving yards
because Jeff and I think that they're going to use
the passing game as sort of like an extension of
the running.
Speaker 3 (01:19:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:19:14):
Right, And so I've got samajp Ryan over seven and
a half receiving yards, Kareem Hunt over five and a
half receiving yards, the Checko over three and a half
receiving yards. I just don't see how at least two
of the three don't go over. And that's the thing is,
you're not trying to go three and oh that would
(01:19:34):
be outstanding, but you're trying to at least go two
and one where you're on the plus side here. I
would be very surprised if you're one and two when
it's all said and done, because I anticipate Mahomes throwing
it a lot, and I expect his running backs to
get involved there. What do you think about that?
Speaker 4 (01:19:53):
Oh, say, right now, we have numbers on each player.
So just to let you know, we have numbers on
each one of these players, and our numbers lean to this,
believe it or not. So you've got you know, each
each running back and stuff. Yeah, yeah, all right, Brian,
I'm with you.
Speaker 1 (01:20:07):
Okay, good, very nice, All right, coming up next. Man,
It's not just big for this team. It is big
for the entire league.
Speaker 3 (01:20:20):
Oh what is going on?
Speaker 1 (01:20:21):
Happy Sunday to you. I hope it's a great start
for you. Gearing up for the Pro Bowl today. Right
now everybody's doing what are you guys doing to tailgate
before the Pro Bowl? Festivities going on.
Speaker 3 (01:20:35):
I haven't watched one second. I saw a tweet though.
It was pretty funny from someone that's my age. I'm
thirty eight, he said, uh, Pro Bowl and I was ten.
One last Hurrah football filled with all my heroes and idols. Wow,
Pro Bowl. Now that I'm he said, thirty one, but
thirty eight. Here's the sixteenth best QB playing Pe games
(01:20:55):
for some reason.
Speaker 1 (01:20:56):
I guess that's that's where we're at. That's perfectly summarized
right there, no doubt. I'm just kidding about that. But
the big news is the trade and a couple extra
layers on this with Luka Doncic going to the Lakers,
Anthony Davis going to the Dallas Mavericks. Those are the
biggest part of this trade. There are some other bits
(01:21:17):
and pieces. I love the jazz. The jazz got like
Spaulding basketball in two bags of potato chips.
Speaker 4 (01:21:25):
You know what?
Speaker 1 (01:21:25):
I mean involved in this this three team trade. I
love the team that's just thrown in there for you know,
the purposes to make the trade go. But Luca going
to the Lakers. Listen, this is not just big for
the Lakers because they can build around Luca for the
next decade if they want to. That's big for the
entire NBA. It's huge because we've talked a lot about
(01:21:50):
the ratings have been on the decline. To have a superstar,
like global superstar like Luca go to the Lakers, right that,
that's a huge win for the NBA. And so I
get beyond just Dallas and the Lakers. It's it's the NBA.
It's the entire thing right there, where it's a win
(01:22:12):
for the league collectively.
Speaker 3 (01:22:15):
It's almost like David Stern from the grave, decided to
to pull this off, right, I mean like he like
that's like that this is a This is like a
David Stern esque trade, right, Guys. For all these years
we talked about the his ability to like, you know,
to to just you know, you know, create sort of
something on nothing at times an NBA, and this feels
(01:22:35):
like that type of deal where it's not only is
it Earth shattering from just the perspective of sending a
twenty five year old, five time All NBA and A
player to an aging All NBA player, But like the
future of the sport now, which I think we sort
(01:22:59):
of had question. I mean, look, there's the commissioner is
talking about making the quarter shorter because people can't watch
the NBA, and yeah, look at it again, like I
know that this is what makes By the way, the
ringing of the the NFL. People claim that the chiefs
is so funny because the NBA thrives on big markets
with big time players, right, it does not thrive when
(01:23:20):
Okac has SGA playing as well as he does. It's
just not. It's not. It never has it never will.
I'm not saying that okayc can't have SGA, but that's
not what has worked in the NBA for ratings over
the years. It's Lakers, it's Nicks, it's Celtics, it's Bulls,
big cities, right, big brands, And when Lebron eventually retires,
the Lakers were looking at essentially Anthony Davis is a
(01:23:42):
thirty three year old, right.
Speaker 1 (01:23:43):
Two A couple of years from now, it would have
been Pelicans West, right, that's we've seen that story before.
Speaker 3 (01:23:51):
Yeah, and it's just it's not I think what now again,
this trade was not made because the NBA wanted this
trade to be made, but it certainly gives NBA a
huge injection of youthful talent in Los Angeles. And look,
I think I think Dalton is gonna be really good
pro Brian. I know about you. I've watched a little
(01:24:12):
bit of him play this year. I mean, you put
him and Reeves and Luca and you know, I'm sure
they'll trade for someone else and get a free agent here.
Like it's a legitimately decent roster moving forward in Los Angeles.
It doesn't help him this exact year. No, it doesn't
make him better this year. But so what like this
that they weren't going to change it this year anyways.
(01:24:32):
And so that's what makes this trade I think even
more fascinating to me is not just the present but
the future of both teams. And the Dallas general manager
spoke this morning Brown if you saw the quotes, have
you seen the quotes yet, Well, essentially it made it
seem like Luca was not going to sign the Max deal.
Speaker 1 (01:24:48):
Well, and the whole thing about defense wins championships. That's
his mentality. And I get you want to build Dallas
in a different way, but I mean it comes back
to this though. Too crack is I mean, for a
twenty five year old in Luca, who is a five
time first team All NBA guy, for them to move him,
(01:25:09):
like there's a lot too he just he's not a grinder.
He doesn't he doesn't work, and that's that's an indictment
right there where he's so incredibly talented for anyone to
be like, yeah, he kind of shows up out of
shape and that's not great. Like they were sick and
tired of Luca. There's no other reason you make this
(01:25:30):
move other than that, or.
Speaker 4 (01:25:33):
It makes you think that there's more to this, Like
I don't I'm not a conspiracy theory guy, though, I
don't do that. But first, let me talk about just
in general for the NBA. Listen, we've all seen how
the ratings are down for NBA and NFL's the King
has been for a while. A trade like this may
bump up the ratings for the next couple of months,
but what about long term now, Like I think they
(01:25:55):
need to improve the product. Yeah, Okay, no one wants
to watch a team shoot fifty three winners in a game.
No one wants to watch fifty free throws in the game.
I like, in general, this is causing a giant stir
all over social media, all over the sports world. And
let's let's see what it does long term for these
(01:26:15):
ratings and stuff, and and let's see if there is
more to this trade. Like I said, it just makes
you think that there's more going on here than we know.
But I'm sure there will.
Speaker 3 (01:26:25):
Be correct that we will hear some some side from
the Mavericks the defense wins championships thing. Brian, Yeah, okay,
so certainly not incorrect. Okay, in the thought process of
importance of defense. But to your point of at his age,
(01:26:46):
like you can become a better defensive player. It just
takes effort, right, And he's still a young he's still
a young twenty five years old, he's not old. I
just feel like he could have given him a little
bit more time, you better on defense. Like, no, I
don't think it was like are you just like you know,
you're like, yep, that's it. Well, we're like we're done
(01:27:06):
with him now.
Speaker 1 (01:27:06):
That's the whole thing is he's so brilliant offensively, if
you have to give a little on the defensive ends,
you will, right, So it's beyond that for the Dallas
Mavericks to move him.
Speaker 3 (01:27:19):
And I also think you mentioned earlier about his maybe
not a lack of effort, but just maybe a different
level of caring than like Jimmy Butler, like you like,
just a different level of of of but I would argue,
I'll argue, but I mean the best part of the
NBA seems to hate playing basketball. So in in you'll
(01:27:44):
Kitchen Denver like you can still you can do different ways.
You don't have to be an intense competitor to the
point where you rub your team the wrong way. And
the Jimmy Butler thing is so fascinating to me because
in the NFL, Jim Butler would just be off the heat,
like he'd be gone immediately, and he's been spending three
times now, Like there's there's a there's a difference between
(01:28:06):
that and and and where you are with like again,
with like how much Luca Cocoa cares. I think he
cares plenty fine, Brian. Now the question is can the
Lakers can you get more out of him like that?
That you know, can you get more defense, can you
get a better you know, better shape? And I would argue, yes,
you can't. He's in let's just say that. You you
(01:28:26):
think he's in poor shape. He's in poor shape and
playing this well and doesn't get it. It doesn't get hurt.
Like sorry, the idea of in shape like that was
in the shot of Joe embiid. Right, he's never in shape.
He was getting hurt. Lucas not even getting hurt being
out of shape.
Speaker 1 (01:28:43):
So decent amount he does on the shelf, decent amount,
like he's been on the shelf this season. Not in
beading levels though, right, no, no, not in beads on
a different level. But yeah, like Luca and his conditioning. Yeah,
it's like like if you look at Yo Kicic, like
Yo kicch is not in peak physical condition, but he
(01:29:07):
doesn't miss games. Man, He's a lot more durable, certainly
than Embeed and even more durable than Luca. Where I
just I would love to see Luca if he just
absolutely dedicated himself, maybe no training regimen, like locked in,
like he's special already. I wonder how great he could
be if he did that, because he could be greater.
(01:29:29):
He absolutely could be.
Speaker 3 (01:29:31):
But okay, I feel the Lakers over there, you know,
the same ownership obviously not not not with Jerry Buss,
you know, but like, you know, same family ownership. They
have always gotten the most other superstars. I mean there
was a time when Shack was at quote unquote out
of shape, right and he might he might have been,
but they got the most out of them, got the most.
They get the most of all these superstars. And I
(01:29:52):
have to think that they feel like they get the
most out of Luca here and they think they're getting
a generational talent, which they are, and then let's add
it sort of like let's get the most out of them.
And it feels like they can do that in Los Angeles.
Speaker 4 (01:30:05):
Yeah, it can't be to sell more tickets. I mean,
they're sold out in every game. This is because they
want to.
Speaker 3 (01:30:11):
It's for the future. Crackets. There was no plan host Lebron, Like,
there was no if you take Lebron off this team.
I mean, it was not no superstars. They basically I'm
thirty eight years old, I've been like a fan my
entire life. I Mean, there was very few years they
didn't have a superstar on the team and they were
(01:30:32):
you know, they went from obviously you know, in a
little bit of matching in my lifetime, but Kobe and
and then you know, basically had a couple of years
where they were wandering and and that wasn't great, and
then they went and got Lebron.
Speaker 4 (01:30:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:30:44):
I just love how both teams are are completely different
involved in this trade where if you look at the Lakers,
they're going to trade for a big because they have to.
They have no front court right now, they have no
rim protection, so they're going to make another move. But
it's not gonna be like the MAVs. The MAVs will
have when they're healthy, they'll have Anthony Davis, they'll have Gafford,
(01:31:09):
and they'll have likely like all all those dudes are rebounders,
rim protectors. You have a seismic front court there in
Dallas compared to the Lakers, who are just built completely differently.
So that part of it's interesting also where both franchise,
both franchises right now constructed completely differently. And that's what's
(01:31:32):
interesting in the league as well. You have different philosophies
and I'm wait, we've been waiting a long time for
like an old school Memphis Grizzlies where they just grind you,
you know, like we're not getting above one hundred or
much above that, and they're playing defense. You got bigs
in a front court with Jasul and Randolph, and you're
(01:31:52):
gonna see a little bit of that with Dallas with
mixed with Kyrie. They're interesting as well.
Speaker 3 (01:31:58):
I just don't think that wins in eachampionships in this
day and age.
Speaker 1 (01:32:02):
Well, those guys they're not just like old school Patrick
ewing back to the basket. I think Gafford and Likely
those guys are limited offensively, but you bring an a
d who he can shoot threes, he can handle it
like he's a great offensive threat.
Speaker 3 (01:32:17):
But part of the Likely and Gafford thing was how
much they played off of Luca's ability to drive in
the lane and get and get those easy you know,
those easylubes and and like that's now gone.
Speaker 1 (01:32:28):
I mean Kyrie, you know, Kyrie doesn't do what Luca
does destrict sure, right, I get.
Speaker 3 (01:32:35):
I get in the very like I I just I'm
I'm just sort of I try to make an argument
about why this makes sense for the Masks. I was
trying to find a way to get there. I just mentally,
I can't.
Speaker 1 (01:32:49):
Well, it's long term, yeah, this is this is like wow,
and Luca was that big of a pain, right Like?
You dislike this guy that much?
Speaker 3 (01:33:00):
Was it that bad?
Speaker 1 (01:33:02):
But the short term they're at least interesting, right Like,
I can't believe these odds. It just shows how big
of a global superstar Luca is. But do you think
who do you think has a better chance to win
a championship this year? Lakers or Dallas? It's absolutely Dallas.
Speaker 3 (01:33:19):
If we if well what I guess the question becomes
obviously as currently constructed Dallas.
Speaker 1 (01:33:24):
But I anticipating like they'll they'll pick up a bit again,
anticipate that, and then I think.
Speaker 3 (01:33:30):
The Lakers are Then I'll tell you what, man, I'm
just not counting out Lebron in a postseason when he
has Luca. I just if they get some rim protection.
Speaker 4 (01:33:40):
Meanwhile, I'm gonna give you guys a live bet that
I like at pet NGM Lakers under regular season wins
under forty eight and a half minus.
Speaker 1 (01:33:50):
I'm still there.
Speaker 4 (01:33:51):
Huh. I'm still there even though, but I bet it
under forty seven and a half early in the season.
Of course they're gonna bump this up. I know they've
been doing good, but I just I'm looking at bet
MGM under forty eight and a half. I mean to
make the playoffs. They're yeah, I can't lay it. I
can't lay four to fifty in the yes on the Lakers.
(01:34:11):
But I'm not betting to know either though. I'm not
taking the money on the no. So Lakers under regular
season wins under forty eight and a half. I'm making
a live bet on bet MGM, just to let you
guys know. I looked at by the way I looked
at other sites, Lakers at BETMGM under is the best line,
the best odds that I see right now. Anyway, the
fourth sites I looked.
Speaker 1 (01:34:32):
At, So I'm doing some math calculations over here, crack.
So what you said? What under forty eight and a half?
Speaker 4 (01:34:39):
Under forty eight and a half.
Speaker 1 (01:34:40):
Okay, So the Lakers right now, they're twenty eight and nineteen,
so they have thirty five games left, yep, so they
would have to go what nineteen and they have twenty
eighteen right right? Yeah, thirty five left, so they have
to go like nineteen and sixteen. You still like it?
Speaker 4 (01:35:01):
Yeah? Yeah, maybe the Dallas season wins too, that's forty
four and a half. I main lean to the over there.
Speaker 1 (01:35:08):
I just yeah, that's tough. That's why you make your cash.
It's tough, right because you're thinking Luca Lakers, they've won
eight of ten. They have this momentum, like they can't
they can't go twenty and fifteen down the stretch. If
they do, they're it's they're gonna be at forty eight wins, right,
But that's why that's why you make your money.
Speaker 4 (01:35:29):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:35:30):
Yeah, they ad was not back last night when they
beat the Knicks either, right.
Speaker 1 (01:35:34):
Like that was a oh yeah, the abdominal thing Lebron was.
Speaker 3 (01:35:38):
Again thirty was it thirty two? Eleven and thirteen someth insane? Yeah?
Remember for a forty year old, You're like, what is
this so seismic NBA trade? Again? The people that I
follow that are NBA insiders and people, I mean, this
has to be up there as an all time trade.
And here's the thing about it too, It's not just
that the trade happened. It's the lack of compensation the
(01:36:03):
MAVs got back.
Speaker 4 (01:36:04):
Right.
Speaker 3 (01:36:05):
If you were to say Luca's available, I mean, are
who's call?
Speaker 1 (01:36:10):
Everyone's calling you Yeah, it's so weird it went down
the way it It's not just that it went down,
it's the way it went down. There weren't weeks of, hey,
Luca's on the market, offer us what you can you know,
like highest bidder probably gonna win. It was just out
of it was on a left field, like what, No,
(01:36:33):
it wasn't even on the radars. It's just wild to me, man,
that's that's the biggest trade in NBA history. I was
thinking about in like American sports. There might be a
soccer trade that rivals this from overseas that I don't
know nothing about.
Speaker 3 (01:36:48):
But just in the.
Speaker 1 (01:36:50):
States, what else do you have that checks all these
boxes that this trade just did. You're talking about a
global superstar in Luca, who's a top three player in
the NBA. That Anthony Davis is no chump, He's well decorated.
Speaker 3 (01:37:08):
I'm sure there's certainly not a football trade. I mean,
I know people will look at the Herschel Walker thing,
but that's not the same thing.
Speaker 1 (01:37:14):
It's not, no, not the same I don't know, to
be honest with you, right, Like the what the Stafford
golf thing, like, is that the best we can do it?
Doesn't like, what's the best we can do with like
bigger names on the move. I don't think there's anything
in the States that rivals. Of course you have like
(01:37:36):
the Babe Ruth getting traded or like Wayne Gretzky getting traded,
but it doesn't check the other box of it's not
just one superstar, it's who they were, another star that
they were traded for. I don't think you have anything that.
Speaker 3 (01:37:52):
Yeah, it's not just a one for one. It's the
age of the players and the lack of just other
competition they got. Yeah, that makes it all so interesting.
Speaker 4 (01:38:03):
So Jeff, that that I like that the hernschel Walker
conversation that you're right about. Everyone knows how it turned out.
I think I don't think Walker ever topped a thousand
yards for the Vikings and Cowboys used all their draft picks,
then they got to start absolutely very good. By the
way years ago.
Speaker 1 (01:38:24):
What you're saying about all these draft picks, Jeff, it
makes me think of the Celtics and Brooklyn Nets. Like
the Celtics traded KG and Paul Pierce and got all
these first round picks, like one of those, I don't
know if they both turned into brown and Tatum, but
(01:38:44):
one definitely did.
Speaker 4 (01:38:46):
Yeah, it had had.
Speaker 1 (01:38:48):
That's old KG and old Paul Pierce. At the end
of the road, go into the nets and the nets
are like here, here's three first round picks and a pick.
Swab it take them, just take them all. And those
were high picks that help the Celtics be what they
currently are. That's a big piece of the rebuild right now.
Speaker 3 (01:39:08):
Agreed.
Speaker 1 (01:39:08):
Yeah, and the Lakers got ad in a first rounder,
a first round.
Speaker 3 (01:39:13):
Max, remember part of the deal.
Speaker 1 (01:39:15):
Yeah, that's that's wild man. All right. We've got Bill Krackenberger,
professional sports handicapper, Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran. I'm
Brian No coming up next. When there's this much smoke,
it's hard to believe there isn't any fire. It's Fox
Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by bet MGM. It
is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by BETMGM.
(01:39:38):
Bet MGM is offering you a second chance on your
first touchdown bet in the NFL. When a customer places
an NFL wager on a first touchdown scorer bet and
he doesn't score first, but score second, bet MGM will
return one hundred percent of their stake back in cash
man felas. So this justin Tucker situation here is getting
(01:40:00):
So it's the Ravens kicker. He's been accused of inappropriate
sexual behavior by now nine massage therapists. There were three
more that joined these complaints. I guess if you will,
So the numbers up to nine, I don't know. It's
just hard to believe there's no fire when there's this
(01:40:22):
much smoke. So Tucker is denying this, and if you
play the for that to be true game, it's like
all nine of these massage therapists are just making this
up by the thin air, like there's no truth to
this whatsoever. That's just hard to believe that there's just
nothing to any of these allegations. So this apparently reportedly
(01:40:44):
occurred between twenty twelve and twenty sixteen. But the numbers
up to nine, now, Jeff.
Speaker 3 (01:40:49):
So here's my general take on this. Right, So, first
of all, innocent, it's are proven guilty at certainly prudent
in these situations, except we're not a quarter of law,
so we don't have to abide by this by that idea. Right,
we're on the radio show and the thing. The thing
(01:41:12):
I think about when I hear these stories. I said
the same thing about Deshauan Watson, is did nine women
get together to make up allegations about one person? The
answer is probably like the thing like like, think about that, logically,
did nine different massage therapists and multiple different medspas get
(01:41:33):
together to accuse Justin Tucker of these allegations? The answer
is is obviously no, they did not, you know, And
so that so that's my my first thought, right is
there's probably a lot of truth to this because why
would they make it up? Why they're not I don't
think they're suing Justin Tucker, Like, they're not in it
(01:41:54):
for the money. There's a reason to make up these allegations,
especially when again, multiple women and multiple medspas have the
same have the same story, and he's again this is
years ago, this is from twenty twelve to twenty sixteen.
There was one of the writers of the article posted
a letter that was written by Mashaw's therapist that appeared
(01:42:15):
to be written to management at one of the medspas
saying like this is what happened, and I don't want
him as a client anymore, essentially, and so I tend
to believe that this is accurate information. Could I be wrong? Absolutely?
Could they have conspired against him? Absolutely, I don't don't
know why, but certainly could could be false. But there's
(01:42:38):
been situations where these have been false in the past.
But again, it's now nine women with the same story
that did not get together to share the same story, right,
So again like that, that's where I go back to this,
And we should certainly have the same sort of vituol
that we had for the Shaw Watson case if this
ends up being you know, what the story is, because
(01:42:58):
we obviously react a certain way with that, and we
shall have the same reaction to this. Is why I
know that he has hired, you know, people to tell
us that this is a lie and this is all
false and whatnot. And I guess that's what every athlete
does in this situation. One thing worth noting, because we
talked about this when it came to Deshaun Watson as well.
(01:43:19):
People look at the an athlete getting a massage, okay,
and look at as therapeutic, which which absolutely can be.
It can be therapeutic to get a massage, and I
did in my career. Other players do, but the sort
of the giveaway that there's something a little bit different
here is that most athletes find a massage therapist, especially
(01:43:39):
if you've been in a city as long as Justin
Tucker has, and you keep the massage therapist your entire
career because you want that massage therapists to have worked
on your body a lot, to know how to treat
your body, what works best, what doesn't work best. Your
hamsters a little tight this week, it wasn't as tight
last week. And so a lot of us have one
(01:44:00):
or maybe two in our lifetime massage therapist at the
facility or not at the facility in the city that
we play in. To hear that Justin Tucker has been
to multiple med spas and Deshaun Watson went to twenty five,
you know, I had twenty five massage therapists or more.
That tells me it's not therapeutic, which is fine. You
don't have to get a therapeutic massage. You're allowed to
get a comfort massage, right, a skin polish, right, just
like a light rub over the skin. I'm like a
(01:44:22):
deep tissue sports massage. But to beat us to be
at so many different places is a red flag to
me that something's not right here right? Why you even now?
I have my massage therapists, people people work on my body.
It's one place. Why are we going to six different places?
So I've red flags a lot here, cracked, and I
believe the allegations for now to presented otherwise. So the
(01:44:45):
NFL is gonna have to do something about this. The
NFL has made itself to Jeff.
Speaker 4 (01:44:49):
Crack was an excellent explanation. You think a lot about massages. Yeah,
that's fantastic. And by the way, I love massage my
wife and.
Speaker 3 (01:44:59):
I go I don't, which is funny.
Speaker 4 (01:45:01):
Oh man. We spend a ridiculous amount of money every week,
my wife and I. Once a week we have a
someone come in that and they know our bodies exactly right.
So I love getting a deep tissots. There's so much
there's so many good things that for you as a
person and stuff that that that's proven. So I really
like that. But let me just tell you though, here
(01:45:23):
we go again. I first remember, like John Travolta, all
to talk about John Travolta, and he still makes millions
now than movies, and like you said, watching and this
time it's a kicker you know what, I'm staying away
from this one here. I just hope it's a happy
ending for everyone involved. I mean, it's wow crack.
Speaker 3 (01:45:45):
Yeah, I mean it sounds like it might have been
for one person, but no, it's just I know, it's
hard to talk about because obviously, again, like you like
to give the benefit of the doubt. I think sometimes
in these stories to the athletes. But again again Brian,
like I said, I mean, right, nine women, it's not
is not actually it's not. It's it's not something that
he did one time and sorry, I got a little
(01:46:05):
excited in the massage and look and if you talk
to massage therapists like yes, so sometimes the men get
a little excited, but that doesn't escalate to what it's
being accused that that that that Justin Tucker did in
these massage therapists.
Speaker 1 (01:46:19):
Right, That's what I think of is listen, this is
their this is their profession, right, this is their place
of business. And we're adults here. We can understand how
there might be an advance and if it's turned down
then you're like, okay, cool, nothing right, But there are
lines that shouldn't be crossed. I think of my my sisters, right,
(01:46:42):
Like my sister is she's a physical therapist, and so
some of it involves like kind of like involving like
the massage world if you will, yes, of course. Can
you imagine if your sister, a loved one is either
a massage therapist or a physical therapist, and all of
a sudden, the guy is just like rubbing his zone unhurt.
Speaker 4 (01:47:06):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:47:07):
Like it's like, dude, that's not terrible, that's not okay, corp. Right,
And those are the allegations, some of them against Justin Tucker,
And it's like I wasn't born yesterday, you know. I
want to give people the benefit of the doubt until
I'm just a sucker for doing so. Right, Like when
when nine women come forward and are like, yeah, dude, inappropriate,
(01:47:29):
it's hard for me to be like, yeah, they're just
all making this up. I just don't buy that.
Speaker 3 (01:47:34):
And the question obviously becomes now, like you know, the NFL,
as I mentioned, has made itself into this league where
they're like the crime and punishment, Yeah, like they want
to they and I have long argued this is not
a new point of mind that I think the NFL
maybe shouldn't be in that business as strong as it
has been over the years. And Goodell has pulled back
a little bit, which I think is the right move
(01:47:54):
because you're you're a sports league, and I'm not sure
that that's again, like I the authorities have to do
their job first. Now this is they're not. I don't
think they're going to authorities here, so you know, this
is a different situation. But you know, they were. They
were strict with Deshaun Watson, as they should have been.
I thought that that was the right punishment. Obviously got
I think the punch we got adjusted right on appeal.
(01:48:16):
But they have to be just as strong with Taker,
in my opinion, like for sure, you have to be.
You can't just say that it only matters, you know,
for for one position. So I think that they rightfully
are gonna gonna come after Tucker and they should. And
I'm curious sort of where this goes now. He didn't
have a good year this year and and maybe this
(01:48:36):
is why behind the scenes this was sort of out there.
It's interesting to see Brian this week. I'm sure you
saw this as well. They were like tweets floating around
about this years ago that resurfaced where, you know, with
like two hundred people. Was like, there's some you know,
justin Tucker stuff out there. I can't really say, but
interesting how that how that sort of made its way
out there this week the people found some old tweets
(01:48:58):
about this. So look, he can hire his money, he
can hire the defamation law from all he wants. I
heard the up Dave from Isaac, but that doesn't change
what happened. What I think it happened here.
Speaker 1 (01:49:08):
Yeah, well, hey, you know sometimes these segues right themselves.
You talk about hearing an update from I LO, you
know what it's time for. Now, it's time for another one,
like d J Kaled with Ilo here, what's going on
by another one?
Speaker 7 (01:49:25):
Who I once thought I ran into it a department store,
but it turned out it was somebody else.
Speaker 3 (01:49:30):
True true story, by the way side.
Speaker 1 (01:49:32):
Veritably, he d J Kalin, it's like, my name's Bob,
I'm not him at all.
Speaker 7 (01:49:39):
You know what that's strikingly similar. I mean, throw in
an excited text message to one of my friends and
you pretty much got it down. Pat no case of
mistaken identity. Overnight in the NBA, it is indeed official.
Now the Los Angeles Lakers have traded Anthony Davis to
the Dallas Mavericks for Luka Doncic. The full trade the
(01:50:02):
Lakers acquiring Doncic, Maxi Kleiba, and Mark Keith Morris. The
Mavericks get Davis, Max Christi, and the Lakers twenty twenty
nine first round draft pick as part of the deal.
The Utah Jazz also getst Jalen Hood Shaffino and two
draft picks now Fellas. Overnight, when this news broke, an
(01:50:25):
enterprising colleague of ours named Jake Ripma of k r
l D Radio out in Dallas went to the American
Airlines Center, where he found that a crowd of Mavericks
fans had gathered to commiserate about the trade.
Speaker 2 (01:50:44):
Listen, this is the.
Speaker 1 (01:50:45):
Worst trade of all time in Dallas history.
Speaker 3 (01:50:49):
Dude, if feels like had not named me a worst
trade than this one, it.
Speaker 5 (01:50:52):
Feels like feels like.
Speaker 3 (01:50:56):
It feels like jamkutshot. It seems like my best friend
just got sign of the him.
Speaker 2 (01:51:05):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (01:51:07):
I take it.
Speaker 4 (01:51:08):
Well.
Speaker 7 (01:51:08):
Yeah, No, emotions were indeed raw, by the way, nothing
like a bunch of gen zers. Comparing the trade to
the jfksatday exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:51:19):
Yeah, as if they were there to witness it.
Speaker 7 (01:51:23):
And finally, just to recap some haunting in retrospect tweets
at trill bro Dude posted on Friday night. Quote, if
you're wondering when the next time a huge NBA trade
is going to happen, please consider that I am going
to a concert Saturday night, so expect it. Then unquote,
(01:51:48):
and then the ultimate This posted back on December twenty seventh,
twenty twenty two. A Twitter user named at bought stan
acc tweeting, quote, Luca and Lebron will be on the
same team in twenty twenty five. I'm from the future
unquote again. That tweeted December twenty seventh, twenty twenty two.
(01:52:11):
Back to you, guys, Thank you.
Speaker 1 (01:52:13):
I lo it is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff,
presented by bet MGM. Shortly after the show, our podcast
would be going up. If you missed anything on today's show,
be sure to check it out. Just search Fox Sports
Radio wherever you get your podcasts. Be sure to also
follow rate and review it again. Just search Fox Sports
Radio wherever you get your podcasts, and you'll see the
show posted right after we get off the air. Can
(01:52:33):
I give you a mini rant. Here is just a
quick rant because Ilo said something just a minute ago
where emotions were raw and it got me thinking of
another story from yesterday where John Caliperry, former head coach
at Kentucky. He's now at Arkansas, so he was back
in Lexington to coach against his former team, right, and
(01:52:55):
where did they do? They're like, here's John Caliperry. It
ish boos come raining down these clowns, man, I just
they are. He won a championship in UK history. He's
got the second most wins, he's got the second most
final fours, he's got the most tournament wins, including a championship,
(01:53:19):
and they're booing the guy. I just don't get it,
man like. That's the problem here is a lot of
people think that sports is somehow different than real life.
Speaker 3 (01:53:30):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:53:31):
If you bumped into your ex, if it ended badly,
the mature thing at least is to just go on
about your business, right, or if you're gonna be positive,
just say hey, hope things are going well for you.
You don't say booh, I don't like you anymore, But
you don't start heckling your ex. You would be a
(01:53:52):
small person for doing something like that. You think it's
mature to boo cow when he had that much success
in your bent, because yeah, round exits, it's ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (01:54:03):
Also, wasn't like that that loud? And then Arkansas decided
to win by the way I know?
Speaker 1 (01:54:07):
And then they smacked them around, right, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:54:09):
They smacked them around. So I will say, college basketball, guys,
how many teams do you wager on to win the championship?
I have two? That's it too right now? How many
would you wager one?
Speaker 4 (01:54:22):
That's a good number. You can't go more than that.
Speaker 3 (01:54:24):
I mean Auburn and Duke. I think Alburn would beat.
Speaker 1 (01:54:27):
Duke man, but like to wager on is different than
capable of winning it all?
Speaker 3 (01:54:34):
Well sure, but like I think, like if Alabama played
six teams in a row that also played no defense,
maybe they can win. You know, but after watching like
Iowa stayed in Houston the last couple of weeks, Like, no,
I'm out on both of.
Speaker 1 (01:54:51):
The defense man there.
Speaker 4 (01:54:53):
They didn't.
Speaker 1 (01:54:53):
They didn't win yesterday, but typically their defenses.
Speaker 3 (01:54:56):
Sure, but they can't, but they can't spit like I course,
seventy two the game is over.
Speaker 1 (01:55:01):
But those are the teams that can take down Auburn
or Duke. You might not bet on them to win it,
but they can screw up your bet.
Speaker 3 (01:55:08):
Absolutely. Tennessee couldn't shoot the first half yesterday, but one
you Blue, you know, ended up, you know advancing, you know,
not advancing, but ended up but playing one the second
half of that game. I mean, no big ten team
I feel that way about. I just I just think
it's a very limited menu. You all brown to me.
I mean, I'm not saying anything that's crazy, but they're
just they they're really good. They're really good. They win,
(01:55:30):
they can win different ways, and they play defense to
as far as you know, offensively, And like when you
watch some of these SEC teams play that their bodies
are just different than big ten bodies and big twelve bodies.
It got a big kids, man.
Speaker 1 (01:55:42):
You like anybody crack real fast college.
Speaker 4 (01:55:45):
I just just want to just finish off real quick
on Kyle Party. Listen. We all know you can't stop
the haters being on social media. We see it all
the time. One of the people crack, Come on, No,
I'm just it just happens. People just don't like something.
I'm just gonna tell you I felt bad for cal
I really did. That's unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (01:56:03):
It's so yeah, just show some class. What's the old saying,
If you don't have something good to say, don't say
anything at all. Sports fans do not subscribe to that.
They need to, They just don't.
Speaker 4 (01:56:17):
They don't.
Speaker 1 (01:56:18):
We've got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz, eight
year NFL veteran. I'm probably in no coming up next
pick Scalore Crack will have his play of the day,
Jeff and I will sprinkle in some rapid fire picks
as well. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff
presented by BEDMGM. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to
Kickoff presented by BEDMGM. Props to the crew, our trusted
(01:56:41):
producer Bo Benson, the Dodgers Zone podcast, our technical producer
sitting in today, our guy Iowa Sam shout out to him.
Always great to have him on board. Give myself a
little round of applause there. Yeah, absolutely do it on
the updates, crushing it and crushing life. That would be
Isaac lowen Kron and our guy Sager on digital posting
(01:57:02):
our clips does a great job. Top of the Hour,
Steve Hartman, Rich Ornberger, they have got you covered in
less than ten minutes. Keep it lacked here on Fox
Sports Radio. All right, got some picks to make. Let's
do it.
Speaker 3 (01:57:17):
Rapid fire.
Speaker 1 (01:57:19):
All right, crack, give.
Speaker 3 (01:57:20):
Us something you like.
Speaker 4 (01:57:22):
Let's go with Hopkins under one and a half receptions
minus a dollar thirty five. I don't think he's going
to even getting somemery, and I bet, by the way,
I bet that multiple times at multiple different places. But
let's talk about that when I bet MGM under Hopkins
one and a half minus thirty five.
Speaker 3 (01:57:41):
Okay, I like trap Cozy over six and a half
for Steps. As I mentioned earlier, I mean this is
I think a last tour off for him. He's really
good off of buy in the postseason. The Chiefs are
gonna need some of that help from him in this game.
I feel like they're gonna pass the ball a bunch
of this game. So I like Kelsey might be square,
but I warre less out square sharp in one with
(01:58:02):
one game, so I'll go Kelsey and also too as well.
Uh three hockey plays where I mentioned.
Speaker 1 (01:58:09):
In our first ten, Gold's gonna be scored, by the
way quickly, Jeff, do you like the over Kelsey yards too,
or just the over reception over receptions.
Speaker 4 (01:58:18):
He is a.
Speaker 3 (01:58:21):
Crack. Would you call him the other day? You called
him fat?
Speaker 1 (01:58:23):
I think that was Tubby? Yeah, little Tubby, Yeah, a
little Tubby does the move as well as I like
the receptions, not as much yack right, not as many
yards after catch. I'm gonna go with an NBA play
for you today. Give me Clippers Raptors under too nineteen
and a half. That's where it's at right now at
bet MGM. Clippers play real defense Toronto. They have a
(01:58:44):
losing record at home. I could see it being a grinder,
you know, relative to the NBA. I'll take the under
in that game. Let's get to our cracks play the day.
Let's do this.
Speaker 2 (01:58:56):
This is the best play of the day.
Speaker 1 (01:58:59):
A man, All right, crack, what do you have for us?
Speaker 3 (01:59:03):
Buddy?
Speaker 4 (01:59:03):
You know I'm gonna stick with this one now. You
can wait until game time probably to bet this too.
Barkley's longest rush under twenty five and a half minus
a dollar fifteen. I'm seeing under twenty four and a half.
Like I said, you can wait on this. This is
as high as of a number you'll ever see long
the longest rush by anyone. I know what happened last year.
(01:59:26):
Last week, I mean at the first play, give me
the under the longest.
Speaker 3 (01:59:30):
Rush, but he was twenty five and a half last week.
Speaker 4 (01:59:33):
Geesh, yeah, hi, Hi, amazing, there you go. I like that.
Speaker 1 (01:59:39):
This would be this would be a crack special. You know,
Barkley at the peak of his powers and absolutely I
can see the under hitting on that. All right, great stuff,
fun little hoops chat some ball, of course, would be
back next Sunday to get you all set for Super
Bowl fifty nine.
