continues here on our show, rich on Super Bowl Sunday,

(00:38):
we will do one extra hour, so we will be
doing five hours today as we get you ready with
all the latest news, all the latest breakdowns, getting ready
for this matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs looking to
make history today to become the first team ever to
win three consecutive Super Bowls, taking on a Philadelphia Eagles
team that's looking for revenge for what happened two years

(01:01):
ago in Super Bowl fifty seven.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Are you ready for the day, Richie?

Speaker 3 (01:05):
Are you ready for some football? Absolutely?

Speaker 4 (01:08):
This is what we've all been waiting for, and I
think we have a really good matchup. There are times
where super Bowls they kind of hail out of maybe
sleepy little corners of this country and cities that you know,
I don't want to say are unremarkable, but you know,
maybe they aren't exactly tourist destinations, or maybe you don't
jump to the front of your brain when you think like, hey,

(01:29):
that's a place I want to visit. But right now,
Kansas City, whether you've ever passed through or flown over
Missouri before, is the mecca. It is the home of
the two time or I should say, two consecutive champions,
the Kansas City Chiefs looking at three peat. And then
you have the Philadelphia Eagles, who fan base I was
just talking to our board engineer Chris Perfet about this.

(01:53):
Their fan base still does irk people enough that there
is a fair as much hatred as there is because
there's so much Chiefs fatigue. There are still people out
there who can't stand the Eagles because they can't stand
Eagles fans.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Well, you know, it's interesting you mentioned that because we've
been hearing a lot of buzz and by the way,
we've had a lot of reports out of New Orleans
that we're gonna share with you throughout the show today.
But you know, this idea that there's not interest in
this game, like the fatigue and everything else. And I'm
arguing this if you are fatigued by the Kansas City Chiefs,

(02:31):
who not only become the first team to win back
to back Super Bowls and then actually get to the
Super Bowl with an opportunity to win three consecutive Super Bowls,
they're also the first team ever to get to five
Super Bowls in six years. But if you're one of
those people like I just can't watch another Chief Super Bowl,
my thinking is this, And Richie, you and I went

(02:53):
through this down in San Diego when the Chargers left town,
and you know, the Chargers are desperate trying to get
people from San Diego to make the trip to Carson
when they moved temporarily into that soccer stadium, and the
you know, the Charger fans are giving you the big
fu No way, no, I'm not spending. But what happened
was that first year the TV ratings for the Charger

(03:17):
games in San Diego off the charts.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Why hate watching? And I don't understand this.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
If you really hate the Chiefs, like if you really
want them to lose, you're watching this game because what
would be more satisfying for a Chiefs hater than watching
them lose today and seeing Taylor's swift crying, you know,
with Travis Kelsey after the game. If you have that

(03:43):
kind of cheefe fatigue, what would be more satisfying than that?
If anything, this game is such a great draw. As
you mentioned, Rich, these are the two best teams in
the NFL this year. Okay, these are the two best teams.
They have the experience of the super Bowl, they know
each other. This is a tremendous matchup. And by the way,
Adam Kaplan our Fox Sports Radio NFL inside are very

(04:05):
tight with the Eagles organization. I asked them about that
flu bug that was hitting You heard that a couple
of days ago. Forget that. Here's the really good news.
Both teams are healthy. Both teams are healthy. There are
no major injuries, nothing, These teams are both at full strength.
But if you are one of those people that is
sick and tired of the Chiefs winning, then watch this

(04:26):
game today because they certainly have.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
A chance to lose this game.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
And what would be more satisfying to a Chief hater
than watching the Eagles win today.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
Well, so to look at the game from I guess
a more strategic standpoint, and we have five hours to
do this, so we'll lay this out slowly as we
eke closer and closer to kickoff here. But really what
it boils down to is Chiefs offense versus Eagles defense.
Eagles offense versus Chiefs defense. And if I'm going to

(04:58):
look through all of this, if I'm going to look
through each and every player on the field and the
offensive units and the defensive units, I would probably say
the Eagles offense is the weakest of those four units,
which is odd to say because when you think about it,

(05:18):
Saquon Barkley and what he's meant to that team and
the outstanding year he's had in the MVP conversation basically
since Game three on, how could I be saying this, Well,
the Chiefs offense has found a second gear or a
new life late in the season and into the postseason.
The Chiefs defense is one of the top defenses in

(05:40):
the NFL. You look at the Eagles defense, that might
be the best unit on the field. I honestly have
that much respect for what Vic Vangeo, the defensive coordinator
for Philadelphia, has built on that side of the ball.
So you look at the Eagles offense now, it may
fall in fourth place when we're talking about the other
units we'll see on the field. Why though it's really

(06:01):
not their fault, I think it's more steve because of
the defenses they face throughout the season. I don't think
they've faced as good of defenses as they will today.
In fact, only one defense I would argue is even
close to what the Kansas City Chiefs was throughout the
course of their entire season and postseason compared to what

(06:23):
they're going to see today. So that's my only hesitance
is how is this Eagles offense gonna look against this
Chiefs defense, which is a talented unit?

Speaker 1 (06:33):
All Right?

Speaker 2 (06:34):
You and I don't see eyed eye on everything, and
I definitely don't see when you talk about the Eagles offense.
If anything, the Chiefs offense is the weak link in
this game. Both these teams have outstanding defenses. Consider this
about the Eagles offense. All five of their offensive lineman
got all Pro votes, all of them. This team ran

(06:55):
for over three thousand yards, the sixth highest rushing total
in NFL history, led a course by the best running
back in the NFL. I don't see weaknesses in the
Eagles and especially with the way they played in the
second half of the season. So when you talk about
controlling the game, controlling the football, no team is better

(07:19):
equipped to do that against a great Chiefs defense than
this Eagles offense. Here here, this is a stat I'm
gonna probably repeat a few times throughout the show today.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
There is one stat.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
That's going to determine this game, the outcome of this game,
and that is Saquon Barkley's rushing yards.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Keep in mind this.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
He's had fourteen games, including the postseason, in which he's
run for at least one hundred yards. The Eagles have
won thirteen of those fourteen games. On the other side,
Kansas City has not given up one hundred yards rushing
to a running back all season loss.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Sure, so that to me is the number.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
Well, but if skwon Barkley gets to the one hundred
yards rushing, I will one percent guarantee you.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
The Eagles will win this game.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
I I but Willie, And that's my point. The Eagles with.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
That offensive line, all five hang on Eagles offensive linemen
got all Pro votes, and offensive one twenty twenty four
is only.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
As tested as the defenses they face.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
And I'm not saying that they aren't a great offensive
line because they open up cavernous holes for Saquon Barkley
all season long. But consider this in Dvoa, the Eagles
have only faced the top twelve defense in four games. Okay,
so four games, that's a relatively like schedule. In terms
of defenses they face. They're run heavy as any team

(08:45):
in the NFL, but the Chiefs run defense ranked top
eight in yards per carry and yards per game before contact. Okay,
they're top three in yards after contact, and in terms
of explosive runs, they're the top in the league. So
when you look at the Kansas City Chiefs defense and

(09:06):
you say, what do they do really well, like exceptionally, well,
they stop the run.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
They stopped the run.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
And the Chiefs they've had the benefit of trailing Layton
games and coming back and winning the.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
Eagles since October.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
I don't think I think they've trailed four minutes in
the fourth quarter since October. So okay, when you look
at the whole picture and you say, what's the more
battle tested team, it is the Kansas City Chiefs, And
it's not particularly close.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
When you look at all.

Speaker 4 (09:38):
Of these these units offense on both sides, defense on
both sides, and you compare them to each other, and
you just compare them to the rest of the league.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
You say to yourself, all right, where's the weak link.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
In my opinion, the week link is a relatively untested
Philadelphia Eagles offense. And I'm very curious to see what
happens if the chief find the magic elixir to stop
Saquon Barkley, Because what do you do then, if you're
the Philadelphia Eagles. Do you think Jalen Hurts is gonna
win this game? I'm not sure he Ken I'm not

(10:11):
Cherry Ken.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
Well.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
He should have won the game two years ago.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
If that Jalen Hurts, if we saw two years ago
shows up today, this game's not gonna be close.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
He fumbled the game well on a fluke fumble when
it literally just fell out of his hand.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
He wouldn't even hit and it bounced right into the
Chiefs and they ran in for a touchdown.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
Mahomes doesn't make those mistakes.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Okay, I've got we got a lot to get to,
all right, So we'll take a little breath right now,
all right. Coming out on the other side, if you're
looking for some unexpected heroes. I got a little insight
from somebody it's been following this matchup on who could
emerge from the favorites, so to speak to in Super

(10:53):
Bowl MVP. We're continue to break it down. We got
a long way to go. Just rest up, getting ready
for the big day. Today. We'll give you a little
clue Ritchie, especially because he really knows how to set
it up for the Super Low. I mean, he really
has the big setup. Keep it right here, We got
you covered. This is Fox Football Sunday.

(11:56):

to figure out some of the talk about over a
two week period, and to me, one of the most
overplayed stats that I heard over and over and over again,
in fact, I used it a week ago, is that
Vic Fangio, the defensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles, is
oh to eight all time against Patrick Holmes, actually to

(12:18):
nine if you've give him credit sort of credit for
the Eagles loss in the Super Bowl two years ago.
He was working as a consultant member that for the
Egos defense.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
Here's why it's a why it's.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
Really an overplayed stat because Mahomes beats everybody. His career
record as a starting quarterback regular season is eighty nine
and twenty three. His postseason record is seventeen and three.
So it's not like he's just picking on Vic Fangio.
I mean he's been destroying defenses throughout his entire NFL career. Now, yesterday,

(12:54):
Adam Kaplan again I referred to him. He's our Fox
Sports Radio NFL insider and he knows fan well, and
I asked him, I said, look, no one has seen
more film time on Patrick Mahomes than Vic Fangio. I mean,
he's he's trying to come up with something here, and
I said, give me a wrinkle, something that we're going

(13:15):
to see from Fangio in this game that maybe we'll
give him a different outcome going against Patrick Mahomes. Got
to try something, right, he goes, I'll tell you what he's.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
Not going to do. He's not going to spy on
Patrick Mahomes. He's just not going to do that. He's
not going to spy on him.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
But let me ask you this, Rich, because you're talking
about these great defense that's on both sides, and you know,
Spagnolo obviously has set the standard you know, for Rings
already he's looking for another Ring as a defensive coordinator,
and Fangio a very respected guy as well. Vic Fangio's
defenses use zone defense about seventy percent of the time,

(14:01):
and when you're going up against a weapon like Travis Kelcey,
he eats zone defenses for lunch because he knows how
to find the open spots.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
So I'm going to try to put you in.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
The mind of Vic Fangio right now, because you've obviously
followed the Chiefs very very closely. You've got great personnel
on that Eagles defense, right number one in the league,
number one against the pass this year. Give me a
wrinkle that you might suggest to Vic Fangio in order
to give yourself a different look that might and not saying, well,

(14:35):
might slow down Patrick Mahomes in the biggest game.

Speaker 4 (14:40):
Well, you have to find a way to confuse him.
And that is very difficult to do because as much
film as Vic Fangio watches of Patrick Mahomes, Patrick Mahomes watches,
just as much of that Eagles defense and defense is overall.

Speaker 3 (14:58):
Like the part of the reason.

Speaker 4 (14:59):
Why Patrick Mahomes or any of the greats you know,
go through the list, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning.
The best minds of the game playing the quarterback position
are so good is because they can anticipate things based
on what the defense is set up in pre snap
and what they move to when the ball is snapped.

(15:20):
And some of that is Look, there's rules and laws
that you cannot break defensively, otherwise you will have home
run hitters like running unguarded down the field if you
break these rules.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
Like you have to cover everybody.

Speaker 4 (15:35):
Right, that's one of the cardinal rules of playing defense.
You have to have a body on a body or
at very least somebody in zones to make sure that
as receivers pass through those zones, they're covered. If you don't,
good quarterbacks will find the opening, the void in the
zone defense, or will find the open man. They'll throw
them the football every time. So there are certain cardinal

(15:57):
laws that you have to follow, right, And so if
your quarterback and you study as much game film as
Patrick Mahomes, you're not going to be confused by a
lot unless when you have two weeks to prepare to
face a quarterback that special, you can add a couple
of wrinkles to your defense to get a little more
pressure on him, to bring the pressure from a place

(16:18):
he didn't expect to see it coming from. Maybe to
have a different zone dropper, because Vic Fangio likes to
run those zone defenses. It doesn't always have to be
a linebacker who's covering the middle zone or you know,
into the curl of the flat area, which is you know,
off to the offense's right or left in the shallow
five yard area like sometimes you could drop a defensive

(16:39):
lineman and sometimes you could bring an extra safety. Sometimes
it could be two linebackers from the opposite side, whereas
you know, normal coverage responsibilities would restrict that linebacker, but
because you're dropping a defensive lineman into that short zone area.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
Like so that's my.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
Point is, it all gets very tangled into the weeds,
you know, And if we were gonna spend a whole
segment talking about specific defensive schemes you can employ to
slow down Patrick Mahomes, you would spend the rest of
the show potentially trying.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
To do that, because the truth is he's seen it
all already.

Speaker 4 (17:14):
You have to try to surprise him though. So that's
what the Eagles defense has been doing all all week
this week, practicing those things for the past two weeks,
game planning those things to try to put pressure.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
On Mahomes and make him make a mistake. Very difficult
thing to do.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Well, very difficult, and I know the frustration again from
the Chiefs haters.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
You know, when Kelsey goes off. It was a quiet
year for Kelsey.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
He averaged less than nine yards agats this year, didn't
have a lot of touchdowns. Then the postseason shows up
and all of a sudden, he's Travis Kelcey again. And
you watch and it's like, somebody cover this guy. How
is it that Kelsey's open? This is what drives Chiefs
haters crazy. But you got to you gotta be worry

(17:59):
if you are the Eagles and Vic Fangio in overcompensating
to try to take Kelsey out of this game.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
Xavierworthy has suddenly.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
Emerged as a force in this Chiefs offense. If you
look at the rookie, I mean, you know, he modest
numbers early on. Then rache Rice went out and so
all of a sudden they had to turn.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
To this kid to do more. And his biggest game
was just this recent game, obviously in the AFC Championship game.
And this is the cat and mouse game you're playing
right now. You know when you say, all right, well,
we're not gonna let Travis Kelcey beat us. Now, it's
one thing in the red zone.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
I mean, obviously, if you're in the red zone situation
you allowed Travis Kelcey to get wide open, that's on
you that.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
But otherwise, no, I mean, we know the Chiefs can
run the ball.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
They also have an outstanding offensive line, so I play
it pretty close to the vest. But in critical situations, no,
I am not lead. You know, the balls inside the
twenty yard line and the Chiefs need to get in
the end zone.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
My eyes are on Travis Kelcey one hundred percent.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
I don't care how we're gonna take him out of
the play because that's the guy that Patrick Mahomes is
going to look for first in that critical situation. So again,
this is you can sort of outthink yourself. Like you
mentioned the fact, you got to try to do things
to to get uh Patrick Mahomes office mark, so to speak.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
But you don't want to go crazy here, do you,
Rich No, I mean you don't want to.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
You don't want to get away from what allowed you
to have the number one defense in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
We'll have the number one pass defense in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
And also, what what Vic Fangio's defense does better than
anything else in the passing game specifically, is they do
a really nice job of taking away the deep ball
and the middle of the field. So with those you know,
many times those zone coverages, uh you know tagged with
blitz his sometimes what they do is they prevent a
quarterback from having enough time to throw the football down

(20:05):
the field. Also with all eyes facing the quarterback. As
deep receivers are racing downfield, you have safeties and deep
defenders who can make plays on the football and help
and coverage toward the sidelines, so that takes away the
explosiveness of passing offenses.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
You face also the middle of the field.

Speaker 4 (20:23):
Why is it so, Why do they have a high
rate with coverage against opposing offenses over the middle of
the field. Well, oftentimes, when a quarterback's under pressure, he
looks out toward the sideline, whether it's the left or
the right, to get rid of the football. Dump it
off to a tight end or a slot receiver or

(20:45):
running back who's getting out on a route into the
flat or into the curl area, you know, toward the
sideline on a quick out, whatever it may be.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
Because it's a high.

Speaker 4 (20:54):
Percentage throw and it's also a low risk throw typically,
so when you throw that football, tackles are made close
to the line of scrimmage, so you're preventing the deep pass,
the explosive play, and you're preventing the ball going over
the middle of the field. This Eagles defense has done
that all season long. They're getting tremendous middle push from
Carter and company up the middle of that Eagles defensive front.

(21:17):
They've got a really talented defensive line overall. The pass
rush has been intense at times against opposing quarterbacks. So
there's a lot of things they do well that matches
up really well against the Chiefs. So yeah, along with
those exotic blitzes or you know, coverage packages that the
Chiefs haven't seen all season long that you know, Vic

(21:38):
Fango is gonna pull out of his sleeve in key
points of this game. Also just playing their game, Philadelphia
Eagle defense against Chiefs offense. On paper, the Eagles should
have the edge. And so I agree with you.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
This is gonna be a little bit of a.

Speaker 4 (21:55):
Boring defensive concept for people because you're gonna see the
Chiefs winning between the twenties and then once the Chiefs
get into that fringe area where they start making decisions, Hey,
are we gonna be okay settling for three or do
we want to push it into the red zone and
they get into the red zone when some of those
coverage areas are more compressed, the Eagles should give the

(22:17):
Chiefs a hard time. And that's that would be my goal.
If I'm Vic Fango, make the Chiefs take the three points.
Try to prevent them from getting the ball in the
end zone.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
You gotta win the individual matchups. Beat the guy in
front of you.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
If you outplay the guy in front of you and
you do the same down the line, we can come
out on top of this game.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
All right, let's find out what is trending right now.
And of course a big part of our show is
the immensely popular, richly gifted Yeah mons.

Speaker 6 (22:48):
Hello, Havy, super Bowl Sunday, super bowl S. It's a
great day, right, It's like almost better than a holiday.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
It's a great day. And it's a sad day because right,
you know you're right. Just when we like, you know,
watch Red.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Zone Radio Week one of the NFL and this is it.

Speaker 7 (23:08):
Yeah, I know you're right.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
And now we got to wait all the weight it's true.

Speaker 6 (23:12):
And then we got to watch stupid basketball.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
And all that.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
I'm al ready for basketball. I get a little March
madness in next month. But the baseball we we're gonna
get into it. But yeah, football is is.

Speaker 7 (23:22):
The one, is the one. I know, it's the bread
and butter. I know, I know you're right.

Speaker 6 (23:26):
You're right, So we got we gotta soak it all
up and it all starts. I mean, you can start
watching TV now, there's already coverage on this game, but
kickoff is at six point thirty Eastern and you can
watch the game on Fox TV.

Speaker 7 (23:38):
Eagles in Chiefs, So we'll see what happens.

Speaker 6 (23:41):
ESPN does report that San Francisco forty nine ers have
granted star receiver Deebo Samuel and his agent permission to
seek a trade. Apparently he requested this during the player's
exit meetings after the season, and if our media reports
of the Buffalo Bills have parted ways with Special teams
coordinator Matthew Smiley also reporting NFL media that Bradley and
John hamm are going to be doing live introductions when

(24:03):
the teams come out of the tunnel before the game.

Speaker 7 (24:05):
So this is part of the entertainment before.

Speaker 6 (24:08):
I get you know, Bradley Cooper, John ham I'm not
mad about it.

Speaker 7 (24:11):
No, I'm not mad at all. So I'm looking forward
to that. In the NBA, Jaanizantatakoople's.

Speaker 6 (24:16):
Gonna be sidelined through next week due to a mildcafstrain,
so he's going to miss the NBA All Star.

Speaker 7 (24:22):
Game next Sunday.

Speaker 6 (24:24):
Right now, in men's college hoops number eighteen, Maryland is
beating Rutgers sixty two to fifty four with about twelve minutes.

Speaker 7 (24:30):
To go in the game. Oh back to the NBA.
Thank you both for pointing this out.

Speaker 6 (24:35):
I don't know if you guys read the statement or
part of the statement that Patrew.

Speaker 7 (24:38):
Dummant is how he says his name.

Speaker 6 (24:40):
He is the new governor of the Mavericks since Mark
Cuban sold the team. So via Dallas Morning News, this
is what he said.

Speaker 7 (24:48):
Quote.

Speaker 6 (24:48):
In my mind, the way teams win is by focus,
by having the right character, by having the right culture,
and having the right dedication to work as hard as
possible to create a championship winning outcome. And if you're
not doing that, you're going to lose. If you look
at the greats in the league, the people you and
I grew up with, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Kobe Bryant,

(25:09):
Shaquille O'Neil, they worked really hard every day with a
singular focus to win. And if you don't have that,
it doesn't work. And if you don't have that, you
shouldn't be part of the Dallas Mavericks.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
Well, I mean that's been this shot on Luca dancisut.
This is crazy, ridiculous, crazy, because again five straight years,
first team All NBA and he, I don't know, what'd
you do for me lately?

Speaker 3 (25:33):
Let him to the NBA.

Speaker 6 (25:34):
Also, you can't name Shaquille O'Neill no in this list
of people to.

Speaker 7 (25:39):
Support your argument.

Speaker 6 (25:41):
Yeah, wasn't he always overwegh every time?

Speaker 2 (25:44):
It was funny because the very the very first year
they won the three in a row championships was even
by Shack's admission, the year he was in his best
shape right, and he completely dismantled the league.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
He only I think he got all but one folk
for MVP. He was even on the All Deep and
some team. It was one of those years. And then
after that he's like, yeah, do I really need to work?
I mean, come on, who's gonna stop me?

Speaker 2 (26:07):
I guess the thing when you're Luka Dantic and you're
twenty five years old and Rich, I guess you could
think about this as well, like Rich never had any
injuries in high school or college not.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
You know, he's invincible. Yeah, and then all of a
sudden you start getting hurt, and you know, sometimes it
just spirals to the point where you just can't play
the game anymore. And so I know that the Lakers
are aware of the danged situation. Yeah, he has the
perfect mentor in Lebron James, who at age forty is

(26:39):
still insanely in shape to play this level. So will
he take to it. We'll see, Yeah, yeah, we'll see it.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
Tidy commits a twenty five year old you gotta work hard,
and you're like, I'm sorry, I'm first team All NBA
every year.

Speaker 7 (26:52):
Which the finals last year.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
Face, so it's like, whatever, it's working for me, So
why are we changing?

Speaker 4 (26:59):
However, having said that, having said that, and I agree
with you and thanks mon, see that the reality of
being a young athlete is you you continue to do
what you've always done, which is look to mentors for
great advice. I understand that not everybody like listens to
their coach one hundred percent of the time, but like,

(27:21):
in order to get great at basketball, Luka Doncic had
to follow the expert advice of many people who mentored
him and helped him craft his game along his way.
So why not Lebron James, Why why wouldn't you listen
to one of the greatest players's ever played the game
on how to take better care of yourself?

Speaker 3 (27:38):
Well exactly.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
I mean my question to Luka Doncis is this, would
you like to have a twenty year career in the NBA?

Speaker 7 (27:45):
I don't think he does well, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
I mean, when they're paying him fifty sixty seventy million
dollars a year, I'm gonna milk it to the end. Yeah,
So there's a secret on how I can stay in
the court as long as possible continued by the time
he has, you know, ten years early one hundred million
a year.

Speaker 4 (28:02):
Well, if his like I would if I were Lebron,
Because knowing Lebron, how do you make this Luca's idea?

Speaker 3 (28:10):
That's so? This is this is the way psychology works.

Speaker 4 (28:13):
Like, if you want somebody to execute something differently than
the way they're executing it, now, the best way for
you to get that accomplished is by making them feel
like they came.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
Up with this idea in the first place.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
So, first and foremost, Lebron James needs to find out
how Luca ticks, Like what makes him tick? Okay, is
Luca a party animal. Hey, you want to party, you
want to have the best parties. Be a champion, be
a champion several times over. Let me tell you about
my party lifestyle. And even though it's not one hundred
percent accurate, Lebron James could paint and portray a lifestyle

(28:48):
of jet setting and partying and life at the clubs
that maybe isn't exactly what he's even after. But if
he gets into the psyche of Luka Doncic, well, and
then he can sort of convince him like, well, if
you want all that, if you want all that party lifestyle,
you got to do these things, okay, and you make
it his idea. What if his his goal is to
be the greatest basketball player to ever live, Well, who

(29:11):
better than Lebron James to help him guide that process.
What if his goal is to be a multiple champion?
What if his goals to be rich and famous? Lebron
James is one of the most famous people on the
planet and he's a billionaire. So my point is this,
if I'm Lebron, I find out what excites Luka Doncic's brain,
what wakes him up, what drives the bus for Luka

(29:35):
Doncic and I start planning seeds that if you do
it my way, Luca, you're going to have the most success,
the most fame, the most money, the most access to
that party, lifestyle, whatever it is he wants you.

Speaker 3 (29:50):
You get him.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
To believe it's his idea to follow what you've done
and to follow that rubric for success. And I think
I think the Lakers could potentially win championships with Lebron and.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
Luca well and exactly, and I'll say this about Luka Doncics,
the exact same thing I said when Lebron James joined
the Lakers. I remember he joined the Lakers coming off
five straight losing seasons. His first year with Lakers another
losing season, and then they won a championship. But when
they signed Lebron, understand this, nothing you did as a cavalier,

(30:24):
as a Heat member has any bearing.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
To Laker fans. Zero.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
The Lakers have a standard. It's called winning championships. And
if you don't want a championship, you're not a Laker.
You're just not there. Well, Lebron pulled it off thanks
to eighty as well. Same thing with Luca. If you
don't want a championship, forget it. Yep, you're forgotten. You're
not in the conversation as far as the Lakers are concerned.

(30:50):
All right, we have breaking news. All right, hold on,
let's get it a proper intro. Right now. What do
we have here?

Speaker 5 (30:58):
Mont's leaking news from Fox Sports.

Speaker 6 (31:01):
On Fox TV, Jay Glazer was just saying that Aaron
Rodgers has been informed by the Jets that they're moving
on from him.

Speaker 1 (31:10):
Okay, well this is on Fox TV.

Speaker 7 (31:12):
J Lazer just just put it out.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
Okay, So Aaron Glenn, now the new coach of the Jets.
We were talking about this rich where if you're Aaron Glenn, correct, Yeah,
you need an answer right now. We cannot let this linger.
We cannot say, well, you know, I still haven't made
up my mind yet. That's not acceptable. We need to
get on page one now. My guess here is is

(31:41):
that the Jets probably were pushing Rogers to make a decision,
and he wasn't ready for that decision. They said, fine them,
we're gonna move on. We don't have time for your shenanigans.
We just don't. So I guess now the question is, hey,
what are the Jets going to do at quarter back?
And be who was interested in Aaron Rodgers as a quarterback.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
So we have to start from the start.

Speaker 4 (32:08):
Aaron Glenn was hired to be the culture change in
New York that they desperately need.

Speaker 3 (32:14):
Yep, and Aaron Glenn.

Speaker 4 (32:17):
I read this great piece on ESPN yesterday of how
he grew up in a household with a bunch of
brothers and a dad who was a subcontractor who put
them all to work. All those boys alarms went off
at four o'clock in the morning and they hit the
job site for twelve hours with their dad. Ac is
what they call their dad, Ac Glenn. He was a

(32:38):
well known subcontractor, and they worked with their hands, and
they worked long hours, toiling in the heat and the
humidity of Houston growing up. And like, that's the type
of guy who he is. Those are his formative years. Okay,
Aaron Rodgers is a hard working man. I'm not taking
anything away from Aaron Rodgers. There's no question about it
that in his life he's seen, you know, great He's

(33:02):
attended his game and his craft with great rigor and
a tremendous amount of effort.

Speaker 3 (33:09):
But when you have a.

Speaker 4 (33:10):
Guy like that whose roots are deep in hard work
and grinding, and he comes from a culture in Detroit
where Dan Campbell basically took all of those qualities which
are very merited, especially and deeply rooted in football. And
it worked. You watched it work. In just a couple

(33:31):
of years. Dan Campbell took the Detroit Lions, you know,
everybody's lovable loser, and he's turned them into one of
the monsters of the NFC, of the NFL. And so
Aaron Glenn walks into the New York Jets facility and
he has a guy you know who wants to take
you know, ayahuasca trips instead of attend OTAs, or he

(33:53):
wants to go, you know, film a documentary, like a
self produced documentary on his recovery instead of you know,
one hundred percent being with his teammates. Like there's no
room for that in the mind of a man like
Aaron Glenn. And so, like we discussed what is going
to happen with Aaron Rodgers, It's going to be obviously

(34:16):
an ownership and a front office decision, but it's also
going to be an Aaron Glenn decision. And I think
the decision has been made. We don't need him, we
don't want him. We're moving on.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
Five and twelve. Last year started all seventeen games.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
I mean that's his last two full seasons as a
starting quarterback. As record is thirteen and twenty one. That's
not a ring endorsement. Oh, we need him back. They're
turning in the page now. I'll be interesting to see
where he ends up coming up on the other side.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
I'm begging you when I tell you I have a
story that's one hundred percent true. Listen to me. I'll
tell you why.

Speaker 2 (34:53):
This is Fox Football Sunday.

Speaker 5 (34:59):
Breaking New from Fox Sports.

Speaker 1 (35:01):
All right, Monzie, take it away.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
What do you got?

Speaker 7 (35:05):
All right?

Speaker 6 (35:05):
So Jay Glaser now has tweeted because he was on
air when he said that, right, So now he's tweeted,
giving us more information. Apparently, Aaron Rodgers flew back to
New Jersey last week to meet with the Jets about
their future, only to be told that the team was
moving on. So this effort made by Aaron Rodgers to

(35:25):
go back and discuss his future point to him wanting
to play.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
Well, I know he wants to play, but I don't
blame the Jets from saying no, yeah, we gave you
two years. The first year obviously got aboarded the second
year five and twelve. No, I mean that's a tough
sell that as you're a year older that somehow you're
going to regain the magic that you had in your
Hall of Fame career with the Packers.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
So no, I think this is a wise move. The
sooner the better get first.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
Of all, it gets them started on whatever plan they have,
and it gives him an opportunity to, if he wants
to continue to play, find a new home.

Speaker 1 (36:03):
So it works for both parties.

Speaker 6 (36:04):
And just so you guys know, on x Twitter, the
comments are like, of course Aaron Rodgers breaks this news
on Super Bowl so that we're talking about him.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
Yeah, I'm not going to belabor it.

Speaker 3 (36:16):
Leave me.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
I mean, it's not that it really rich, it's not
that shock in a story.

Speaker 3 (36:20):
No. No, I mean, look, don't get me wrong.

Speaker 4 (36:23):
We knew that there was going to be an announcement
of some sort coming from the Jets camp or Aaron
Rodgers camp about his future with the team. I will
say this to sort of tag along to what social
media and what Monsey just pointed out. There are rarely

(36:43):
large seminal moments in the NFL, whether it be the
draft or super Bowl Week where somehow we don't have
breaking Aaron Rodgers. News like that has been pretty consistent
over the past couple of years. So this, as as
per usual, is not shocking that it's come out today.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
Well, on a Super Bowl Sunday, based on his five
and twelve record as a Jets quarterback, he's the furthest
thing removed from where we are with these two teams
playing today. Once again, we're live from the tire Rach
dot com studios. I don't want to blabor this point,
but I want to make a point right now, Rich.
So last Sunday on this show, I had breaking news,
and that was that I had official word that Eli

(37:28):
Manning was not going to be a member of the
Hall of Fame class at twenty twenty five.

Speaker 1 (37:33):
And Rich, you know my source.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
It's not a source I can reveal, nor will I reveal,
but it's one hundred percent guarantee. And the reason I
mention this is that all throughout Super Bowl Week I
was watching all these guys would get into the Hall
of Fame and every one of them are like, well, yeah,
expect Eli Manning's gonna make it. I'm like, guys, he
already was eliminated. So I understand when you think, well, Hartman,

(38:00):
you've given us so many bad picks over the years. Fine, look,
I've said this time and again. If you go against
my NFL picks and just double down, you would be
Elon musk Rich.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
That's how much money you would have. I get that
part of it. But when I tell you that, I
have an insider telling me because the vote was done
three weeks ago, so this was already in the book,
and so I am. I didn't give you who was
going to get in.

Speaker 2 (38:28):
I didn't know who was going to get I even
said that, And I wasn't going to give you every
name of the eight players that had already been eliminated.

Speaker 1 (38:36):
I just gave you one name because he was such
a hot name. And the reason I mentioned this is
that there you can bet on this no, like you
could actually wager on who was going to make the
Hall of Fame. And I gave you the answer on
who wasn't going to make the Hall of Fame. And
they didn't listen to me. The people are like, oh, yeah,

(38:57):
Eli's probably going to make the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
I go, do you think he should or not? I'm
already telling you he didn't make it.

Speaker 4 (39:05):
You you made well look based on your terrible NFL
pick sture out this season, you made everybody a little
gun shy. You know they couldn't pull the trigger on
the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 1 (39:14):
Pay lean on you because you say, now, it's different
in this case, because Hartman has a legit source when
it comes to this Hall of Fame.

Speaker 4 (39:23):
I have one say, take his advice when it comes
to all things Hall of Fame.

Speaker 2 (39:28):
Yeah, so don't make this mistake next year. Okay, I'm
just telling right now. I will give you the answers
of the test before you take it.

Speaker 3 (39:37):
All right.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
On the other side, we continue our breakdown of Super
Bowl fifty nine.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
It's the Chiefs, it's the Eagles key players that may
no one's talking about. All right, rolling along as we
continue ourn't countdown to the big matchup between the Chiefs
and Eagles. This is Fox Football Sunday, and we're broadcasting
live from the tirach dot Com studios tyrerech dot Com.
We're gonna have to get you there, and I'm Matt
Selection fast free shipping, free road as a protection over

(40:04):
ten thousand recommended installers, tire Ac dot com the way
tire buying should be all right. So everyone out there
is getting ready for the gate. Okay. You might be
with friends, you may be going.

Speaker 2 (40:18):
To a special place to watch the game, you may
be listening to the game, and there's limitless options, you know,
It's so funny. Over the years, rich many times I
have worked television on Super Bowl Sunday, and inevitably we
would have the local six o'clock news. Now, the game

(40:41):
kicks off at three point thirty on the West Coast,
and I would walk out on set for the six
o'clock news as I'm obviously watching the game, and literally,
I so many times I would want to look in
the camera, like, are you aware there's a game going
on right now? If you're watching me right now, are

(41:02):
you aware there's an actual game.

Speaker 1 (41:04):
That I would rather be watching than standing here and
talking about something I really don't care about right now? Oh?

Speaker 3 (41:12):
There he is.

Speaker 1 (41:12):
Uh, I was wondering. I was hearing silence.

Speaker 3 (41:16):
Well, I thought you were going to continue.

Speaker 1 (41:18):
Well, here here's my point. Here's my point, here's my
pay Okay, here's my point. I was So my point
is everyone has a game.

Speaker 2 (41:26):
Plan for Super Bowl Sunday. So I'm not working today.
I'm actually going to be watching the game, which is
going to be great. I think we're going to order
some wings. I won't say from where, but I think
my daughter Paris is in a wings mood.

Speaker 1 (41:41):
That's a good call, it so really good call.

Speaker 2 (41:44):
All right, So let's let's let's go inside, pull back
the curtain on the the ormburger. Uh watch party for
the Super Bowl? You're at home today, right?

Speaker 3 (41:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (41:55):
Yeah, okay, you got a home. Are you going to
have anybody other than your a media family there? Is
it going to be a big crowd? What's going on today?

Speaker 4 (42:03):
It's possible that we have only one more guests, so
this is going to be just me and my wife
and the two boys.

Speaker 2 (42:11):
Well, let's talk about your two boys for a second
right now. So they are what eight and five?

Speaker 3 (42:15):
That is correct?

Speaker 1 (42:16):
Eight and five?

Speaker 2 (42:17):
Now, it's unbelievable, all right, So Ti in Sebastian are
they Are they into this game yet or what's the
deal there?

Speaker 3 (42:24):
So they don't?

Speaker 4 (42:25):
They do not really love football yet, so they will
watch it sometimes under protests sometimes, you know, because they
legitimately have interest. The interest usually wanes somewhere somewhere between
momentarily and immediately. But I will say this, they have

(42:47):
gotten excited and have built a little bit more awareness
that this is something I used to do. I'm I'm
not one hundred percent certain that they know exactly what
it all means, but that it's something.

Speaker 3 (42:58):
I used to do. So we'll sit down, we'll watch
the game.

Speaker 4 (43:03):
I'm probably going to placate them by with tons of
you know.

Speaker 3 (43:08):
Snacks and things that they like.

Speaker 4 (43:10):
Yeah, I'm also definitely going to I'm definitely going to
be highlighting the fact that these are the best and
funniest commercials on television.

Speaker 1 (43:20):
Nice during the Super Bowl, so you sort of lean
into that.

Speaker 4 (43:23):
And also, I'm not sure if they're doing it this year,
but I know they have in years past. Isn't there
normally like a kids focused counter programming?

Speaker 1 (43:34):
Are they doing that now?

Speaker 3 (43:35):
Now?

Speaker 2 (43:35):
They First of all, did they already have the Puppy Bowl?
Has that already been done or is that on Super
Bowl Sunday?

Speaker 8 (43:41):
I think the Puppy bul runs during the halftime show.

Speaker 2 (43:43):
I believe that's correct, right, So I think that's something
they might be interesting.

Speaker 1 (43:47):
But they don't have like a Nickelodeon.

Speaker 8 (43:48):
I don't think with Fox covering the game this year
that there's any kids broadcast.

Speaker 1 (43:52):
Manzi, let's start on Manzi's Mike. Do you have Monzi
knows the answer to this question.

Speaker 6 (43:57):
Well, according to the Internet, which has let me down.
As we've discussed week, according to the Internet, you will
not be able to watch on Nickelodeon this year's Super Bowl.

Speaker 9 (44:05):
Okay, see, well it would be CBS, I think next
year Nickelodeon.

Speaker 8 (44:09):
Then two years from now you'll probably see Mickey Mouse
get exactly all.

Speaker 3 (44:13):
Right, So.

Speaker 1 (44:16):
That's right, all right, So let me let me ask
you this as well.

Speaker 2 (44:19):
So this is this is a critical from an eating
standpoint on Super Bowl Sunday, is the balance between snacks
and the actual meal.

Speaker 1 (44:30):
You know what I'm talking about? What meal? Is it
all snacks or how do you how do you handle that?

Speaker 3 (44:38):
Rich?

Speaker 4 (44:38):
Well, So what I I typically do is I have
a meal earlier in the day and it's something like
as a matter of fact, I've already had it.

Speaker 3 (44:46):
Okay, so for me, you get it out of the way.

Speaker 1 (44:48):
Yeah, was that like a big breakfast type of thing?

Speaker 3 (44:51):
Not a big breakfast, We're talking about like a mid morning.

Speaker 2 (44:53):
Salad, morning salad. I know that sounds I know no
one's eating salad during the game.

Speaker 3 (44:59):
No, absolutely not.

Speaker 4 (45:01):
That's why I have carrots or you sell it and
maybe a nice fresh vegetable crew to tay. We're not sure,
but here's here's what I'm gonna do it. So I've
already had a salad.

Speaker 3 (45:11):
I actually have.

Speaker 4 (45:12):
It's eleven o'clock West Coast, and so I've already had
a salad. That's the only thing I'm meeting until we
start with.

Speaker 1 (45:17):
That happens, Okay.

Speaker 2 (45:18):
Is that your way of telling yourself, I ate something
healthy today?

Speaker 3 (45:22):
That is one accurate right, Okay? Yeah, So you have
a salad.

Speaker 4 (45:25):
Base, okay, little romaine, maybe some cherry tomatoes.

Speaker 3 (45:29):
I mean, if you really want to blow your hair back,
some creutons, oh okay, okay.

Speaker 4 (45:34):
After you do that, then you start like, look the
crowd pleasers, the favorites, yes, the takeitos okay, the chicken
wings all right, the potato skins, whether you want to
make them home home homemade or you want to get
them out of the freezer frozen.

Speaker 3 (45:51):
I don't mind.

Speaker 4 (45:52):
Honestly, you don't bother me with a great time. Coconut shrimp.
I love a nice coconut shrimp. With a high chili
dipping sauce. A kidding me, Okay, I mean I like
an international Pooh Pooh platter. I like to have appeteezers
of delights from I don't know, beyond the borders of
the United States now. Also, I do love to have

(46:14):
some of the American standbys like mini burger sliders. Okay,
pigs in a blanket with mustard and ketchup. I don't discriminate.

Speaker 3 (46:22):
Maybe go both. Hey, it's twenty twenty five, Okay, I
look this.

Speaker 4 (46:26):
These are the things, the staple items you need at
a Super Bowl party.

Speaker 3 (46:31):
And by the way, drinks are super important.

Speaker 4 (46:33):
If you're gonna have people over, make sure you have
copious amounts of beer, wine. Maybe even if you want
to have some spirits, you know you have like maybe
a little bar kart somewhere in the near distance where somebody.

Speaker 2 (46:46):
I mean the games in New Orleans, right, sure, I
mean you think in hurricanes. Of course you're thinking of
rum drinks. Of course you are. That That makes a
lot of sense. Here's my here's my role on Super
Bowl sending. You know, I enjoy my glass of red.

Speaker 3 (47:00):
If you want yo the cabernet.

Speaker 1 (47:02):
I am a big lie.

Speaker 3 (47:04):
Maybe a little more low.

Speaker 1 (47:05):
But on Super Bowl Sunday, I'm beering it. I'm burying it.

Speaker 3 (47:09):
I have beer.

Speaker 1 (47:10):
If I'm have wings, I'm having beer. I get it.

Speaker 2 (47:12):
I'm not drinking a glass of red wine. Well I'm
having my wings. Well do that, but not on Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (47:18):
Let me talk to you about a time saver and
something that could wow your party. A lot of people
listening to us right now, they're thinking to ourselves like
I'm getting ready to get in the car and go
to the grocery store to get all these items. So
I'm glad that Stephen rich are talking about this. But
how about this, Like, if you're in the car right
now driving there, I want you to do this, if
you're going to the grocery store by yourself. One of

(47:40):
those big pictures, right, Okay, a big old picture, maybe
one if you can find it with a little.

Speaker 3 (47:45):
Spout at the bottom.

Speaker 4 (47:46):
If you want to make a large format drink, okay,
something that you make ahead of time. So if you
want to make it super Bowl theme super Bowls in
New Orleans, you want to make it a large format.

Speaker 3 (47:58):
Hurricane that's already premate.

Speaker 4 (48:01):
Don't add the ice until the guests get there, dump
a whole bunch of ice in it, mix it up
one more time, and then everybody can go to the spout.

Speaker 3 (48:08):
And pour their own hurricane throughout the party.

Speaker 4 (48:11):
That's a little bit of a time saver and something
that's a little bit of a nice touch.

Speaker 1 (48:15):
It's very festive, nice fast, all right, very very good
advice out there.

Speaker 2 (48:19):
So however you're preparing for your big day, we'll do
it to your way. But yeah, some suggestions, especially coming
from Rich. I mean he is just a master at
setting the right mood. See, if I was Rich, I'd say,
I know, we've got beer, we got the wine, we
got hurricanes, maybe saying great, you got a lot of
different things out there.

Speaker 1 (48:38):
Of course, can you make me a dirty martini? I
mean it's way out of the way, But the way
you make it, oh my, Amelia Ball. One of the
other great things about Super Bowl Sunday is the idea
of making wagers. It's a day when a lot of people,
a lot of people only make wagers on Super Bowl

(49:00):
and that's because there's so many interesting prop bets that
you can get to. All Right, So I want to
break a little early, guys, because on the other side
I want to get into. I'm going to start things
off with Super Bowl MVP because you have the obvious
names at the top. But if you're looking for a player.

Speaker 2 (49:16):
That might get you better odds, we got some suggestions
for you.

Speaker 1 (49:22):
So we're going to break it all down. Just keep
it right here. This is Fox Football Sunday, Steve Harbin,
Rich Armurger, Fox Football Sunday. We are live from the
Tairaq dot Com studios. We're a little over four hours
away now from kickoff of Super Bowl fifty nine between
the Chiefs and the Eagles.

Speaker 2 (49:44):
So a lot of prop bets out there, and certainly
one of the most popular is to try to predict.

Speaker 1 (49:50):
Who is going to be Super Bowl MVP.

Speaker 2 (49:52):
I'm gonna get everybody involved in this one here, Rich
so Bo, Chris Monsey, you're ill in on this. So
there have been fifty eight Super Bowls and quarterbacks have
won the MVP award thirty three.

Speaker 1 (50:06):
Times out of fifty eight. No surprise there.

Speaker 2 (50:10):
So what I want to do right now, I'm going
to take four names off the list, and then you
have to choose a Super Bowl MVP from each team.
So the four names I'm taking off the list are
Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, Sakwon Barkley, and Travis Kelsey. All right,

(50:36):
so those names are out, So now you have to
pick a Super Bowl MVP from each team that is
not one of those.

Speaker 1 (50:46):
For guys, now, I'm going to go first. Here a
lot of times I go last, but I'm going to
just take it off right off the top. Okay, so
this might be surprising to you.

Speaker 2 (50:58):
The one position that's had the second most MVPs is
not running back.

Speaker 1 (51:04):
It's wide receiver.

Speaker 2 (51:06):
Yeah, and Rich you mentioned earlier about the Chiefs all
out effort to stop or slow down Saquon Barkley, and
I think this would open up a golden opportunity for
one AJ Brown step up and be a Super Bowl MVP.

Speaker 1 (51:23):
So he would be my Eagles pick. And then yesterday
it was interesting we asked Adam Kapla Moncey and I
this question and he throw ot a name that I
swear I was thinking the same guy. And this would
be a position that has never won a Super Bowl MVP.
But when you look at the Chiefs, they could have

(51:43):
a lot of field goals in this game, and if
it comes down to a game winner, when let's say
you're down two or one and he nails it, Harrison
Bucker gets the MVP award. So those would be my
two picks.

Speaker 3 (51:57):
Now you go.

Speaker 1 (51:58):
Repeat my picks.

Speaker 2 (52:00):
It doesn't have to be two different people. Rich I'll
leave you the option. Do you want to go next?
Do you want to hear from everybody else?

Speaker 4 (52:07):
Let me think about it. I think I think I
want to go next. Okay, go ahead, So I agree
with you. I think potentially the plan for the Philadelphia
Eagles defense could be, hey, let's make sure in the
red zone we don't.

Speaker 3 (52:22):
Get beat by Travis Kelcey.

Speaker 4 (52:24):
Okay, that is that is paramount to our success here.
We just cannot get beat by Travis Kelcey. So who
does that leave you in terms of options in the
red area? If they run out of any two tight sets,
it could be Noah Gray. I could see him as
being a Super Bowl MVP if he catches a couple
of touchdowns in the lower in the red zone. And

(52:47):
the reason why I think they're going to be playing
a good amount of snaps in the red zone is
because I feel the Philadelphia Eagles offense are going to
run or the Eagles defense are going to run more
of a bend, but don't break style of play out
of that zone. Allow Mahomes to take what you're giving them,
you know, short passes out towards the sideline. Because again

(53:09):
going back to the first time we discussed this matchup, Steve,
it's they're really good at taking the back half of
the defense away or the deep ball away from the offense,
and they're really good over the middle of the field.
So give me give me Gray as the Chiefs Super
Bowl MVP. If I can't pick Mahomes and I can't

(53:29):
pick Travis Kelcey on the eagle side, give me game Well.

Speaker 3 (53:35):
Wow. So a little bit of the same thought process.

Speaker 4 (53:39):
If I am the Chiefs defensively, I am taking Saquon
Barkley out of this game altogether, which means to me
that that Jalen Hurts is going to have to get
the ball into this into the hands of playmakers quickly.
Kenneth Gainwell has become one of those outlets and safety

(54:00):
or I should say, almost like a life preserver that's
floating out there in some of the the passing game.
I could see him potentially getting fed. I lean more
toward aj Brown than game Well. But just to give
a different answer. But yeah, those are my two interesting picks.
I like those picks a lot. All right, we're going
to go according to height.

Speaker 7 (54:21):
Nice, nice, and I think I think I'm.

Speaker 1 (54:24):
Less than Yes, So there's a clear distinction and height
of these three people. So we'll start with you bo
decked out.

Speaker 8 (54:35):
By the way, thank you for letting everybody know that
I'm taller than Monsoon.

Speaker 1 (54:38):
And so is that a random Cunningham Jersey is a
beautiful Jersey. What a great player he was, all right.

Speaker 2 (54:48):
So let's let's hear from you again. The four guys
you cannot pick are Hurts, Barkley, Mahomes, and Kelsey. Give
us an m VP for both teams.

Speaker 8 (54:59):
Well, for the it's easy because you kind of omitted
their actual best player on their roster. It's Chris Jones.
So if they're gonna take Saquon Barkley out of the game,
then Chris Jones is gonna be the reason they do that.
So that's an easy pick for me. On the Chief side,
the Eagle side, Davante Smith, he could have a huge game.
You can't cover everybody on the Eagles. Dallas Goddard has

(55:21):
been big in the playoffs. A. J. Brown is obviously
always going to get double teamed, so there's gonna be
opportunities for Deavonte Smith. And our good friend Mike Harmon
informed us prior to our show that apparently no Alabama
player has ever scored a touchdown in the Super Bowl. Wow,
So that would be a big narrative for DeVante Smith,
although that is factually incorrect because Jalen Hurts scored many
touchdowns in the Super Bowl. But I guess because he

(55:41):
played at Oklahoma last they don't count him.

Speaker 2 (55:43):
Of course, Alabama quarterbacks won the first three Super Bowls yea,
Bart Star, Bart Starr, and Joe Namath.

Speaker 8 (55:48):
So it's yeah, I don't know about the way that
holds up, but Davante Smith could have a huge game today,
so I'll go with him.

Speaker 1 (55:54):
Going with Devonte Smith and Chris Jones, all right, Chris,
what do you got for mvpiece of both teams?

Speaker 9 (56:00):
So I think I'm kind of with I'm like the
opposite side of bow when it comes to looking at
the Eagles in the When when I say opposite side,
I mean opposite side of his logic for the Chiefs.
I like Jalen Carter for the Eagles if I'm going
to pick anyone not of that offense, because I feel like,
if you're going to shut down the Chiefs, you scramble

(56:21):
Patrick Mahomes. And I think Jalen Carter is probably in
the best position out of anyone on that defense to
be the one who can really just create chaos, havoc
and all means of destruction for the Chiefs. This is
tough because I'm looking at their receivers. There's not a
guy out there who I can really trust. We've got

(56:42):
Xavier Worthy, Hollywood Brown is back healthy, Juju Smith Schuster.
But I feel like if there's going to be this
moment where the Chiefs are like put back onto the pedestal,
it's going to come in the form of some of
a deep threat by the Chiefs, someone who belts out
like a fifty yard or a sixty yard er just

(57:03):
all the way to the house. And I guess my
target there is, as much as I want to have
my Trojan loyalty for Juju, it's gonna be Xavier Worthy.
So I think my picks would be Jalen Carter defensive
end for the Eagles and Xavier Worthy wide. And I
know he hasn't done terrible much so far this season.
But if there's going to be anyone to break out
of that Chiefs receiving corps outside of Travis Kelcey, it's worthy.

Speaker 2 (57:27):
Oh he's coming off his biggest game in that AFC
Championship game against the Bills. I like those picks, all right,
mind see final say here, you can't use my homes
no Hurts, no Barclay, no Kelsey.

Speaker 1 (57:37):
Who are your Super Bowl MVP picks for both teams?

Speaker 7 (57:40):
All right? So I agree a lot with what Bo said.

Speaker 6 (57:43):
I can really see this being a close, tight game
late in the fourth quarter and Chris Jones getting a
stripsack and getting the ball back for the Chiefs, and
I think the Chiefs will win it very closely, right,
So I can one hundred percent see that, But just
to give another side of it, I can.

Speaker 7 (58:00):
Also see Kareem Hunt winning it.

Speaker 6 (58:03):
Like if the Chiefs come out and score first and
not get a big lead.

Speaker 7 (58:06):
We talked about them. They don't need to step on
your throat. They don't tend to do that.

Speaker 6 (58:09):
They just score and they kind of assess the situation
as it's going. And I can see them scoring early
and maybe just trying to control the pace of the
game and running the ball a lot from that point
and trying to keep possession away from the Eagles. So
I can see Kareem Hunt. But Chris Jones was my
initial pick. I was just trying to give a different
one since that's what Bo said. But I'm also with

(58:30):
about DeVante Smith. If you take Saque out, if you're
gonna focus a lot on aj Brown, Davante Smith, who
we know can have a big game, might be set.

Speaker 7 (58:40):
Up perfectly for the Eagles to come out winning the MVP.

Speaker 2 (58:44):
Well, here's the one thing to keep in mind, and
these are all great picks, is that, yes, Tom Brady
won five MVP awards and mahomes Is won three in
Montana won three, but you also have Nick Foles was
a Super Bowl MVP, Malcolm Smith was a Super Bowl
mv VP. Larry Brown, not the coach, was a Super
Bowl MVP.

Speaker 1 (59:05):
Dexter Jackson was a.

Speaker 2 (59:08):
Super Bowl MVP, one of my favorite super Bowl and
the Steelers have won six Super Bowls.

Speaker 1 (59:13):
They and the Patriots have won the most Super Bowls.

Speaker 2 (59:16):
Three of the MVPs or the Steelers were wide receivers.
You wouldn't think of wide receiver for the Steelers, right,
But Lynn Swan won it, heines Ward won it, and
Santonio Holmes was a Super Bowl MVP.

Speaker 1 (59:30):
Dion Branch. Think about this.

Speaker 2 (59:32):
You talk about the fact that you know Brady won five, well,
he won seven Super Bowls, Dion Branch. And of course
your old buddy was a Super Bowl MVP. You know
who am I talking about, Julian Edeman. So I mean
the fact is is, if you were going to make
a wager on Super Bowl MVP, I would stay away
from the guys at the top. Yeah, because I think

(59:54):
I think he got a puncher's chance with a lesser
name and bigger odds of coming away as a Super
Bowl MVP.

Speaker 4 (01:00:03):
Can I give you another reason why I selected game
Well instead of sure, because again I want everybody to
understand that we all made picks the way Steve set
this up, which is no Hurts, no Barkley on the
Philadelphia Eagles side, no Mahomes, no Kelsey on the Kansas
City Chief side. So if you eliminate those who are

(01:00:24):
like the next And the reason why I said Gamewell
also is this has been a very low buzz storyline.
But I want to bring it up again on this show.
I brought it up yesterday. I'm Fox Sports Radio Steve.
Is the fact that Saquon Barkley is not one healthy.
He left the NFC Championship game.

Speaker 3 (01:00:42):
He was hurting.

Speaker 4 (01:00:43):
He had that calf strain in the game. Remember he
had the sixty plus yard run on his opening carrie
and then for the rest of the game he kind
of disappeared.

Speaker 3 (01:00:53):
Now the Eagles didn't.

Speaker 1 (01:00:54):
See still had over one hundred yards in the game.

Speaker 3 (01:00:56):
Understood, understood, But he did the lion's share of that.

Speaker 4 (01:00:59):
On his first carry, had sixty five yard touchdown run,
so he had over one hundred yards. But I mean
it was in drips and drabs the rest of the game,
you know. So I look at Saquan as obviously going
to sell out to have the game of his life.
There's no doubt in my mind that he's hungry and
eager to participate and play well. But I'll describe it

(01:01:21):
the same way described it yesterday. A muscle isn't just
this one static thing. It is a bundle of fibers.
So I want you to think about a rope. If
you stretch a rope extremely taut, and I take a
knife to the rope. What starts to happen. You see
all the rope fires start to split away from where

(01:01:41):
the knife is making contact. Well, after a while, you
cut deeper and deeper into that rope. The remaining fires,
excuse me, the remaining fibers buckle and it splits. Okay,
when you have a muscle sprain or strain, it means
that you have a partially torn muscle. So you say
I have a strained hamstring, Well, okay, that means you

(01:02:03):
tore your hamstring. It's just a matter of how severe
the terrorists I have a strained calf, like Sakwon Barkley
when he went to the sideline after that long run,
he was getting treatment on a strained calf.

Speaker 3 (01:02:13):
Well, that calf has been torn. And now how fast.

Speaker 4 (01:02:18):
He heals, how much he used it, If there was
any reaggravation over the last two weeks, we don't know. Obviously,
all these teams are playing their cards extremely close to
their chest, and so I could see that potentially factoring
into this game.

Speaker 2 (01:02:32):
We'll see I look at well, well, obviously much later
on we're gonna have our actual final picks for this
game coming up. But again, Talking to Adam Kaplan yesterday
about the health of these two teams, he seemed to
indicate there are no serious injuries, but something could become,

(01:02:54):
as you say, a lingering injury that based on a
single hit, could become far more serious. All right, let's
find out what is trending right now. And so Manci, yes,
if you are any sport other than the NFL, you
really are not too anxious to program on a Super
Bowl Sunday, right, No.

Speaker 6 (01:03:15):
I mean they other sports they know what they're doing.
Like the NBA three games, they're all already underway, Yeah,
because they know nobody is going to want to play
during the Super Bowl. Men's college hoops, women's college hoops,
they're all also already getting going.

Speaker 7 (01:03:30):
Hockey is already underway. They're literally like, guys, we got to.

Speaker 6 (01:03:33):
Be done because everybody wants to watch the Super Bowl. Yeah,
like we no one's going to show up to our games.
Nobody's going to tune in.

Speaker 1 (01:03:38):
Three thirty West coast, six thirty east coast, Shut it down.

Speaker 6 (01:03:42):
Shut it at three people run right around three o'clock
and six eastern is when you want to start paying attention.
Because I feel like even at that time, you might
get some fun commercials. You know, it's not just yeah,
like already at three o'clock, I feel like or six eastern,
however you want to look at it.

Speaker 10 (01:03:57):
So yeah, let's check in on the NBA right now.

Speaker 7 (01:04:00):
Three games for today.

Speaker 6 (01:04:01):
The Bucks are losing at home to the seventy six
Ers thirty to twenty six with about three minutes to
go in the first quarter. No Jannis ante Tekumpo, he
has a mouth cap strain. He's actually gonna be sidelined
through the All Star festivities, so he will miss the game.
Next Sunday, the Raptors in the Rockets are tied at
fourteen late in the first and early in the third quarter.
It's the Pistons where are beating the Hornets seventy seven

(01:04:23):
to fifty one. Another note in the NBA that the
Lakers Jazz game will now be on ESPN on Monday
because we're expecting Luka Doncic to make his debut, so
you can see that game on Monday ESPN. And then
in men's college hoops, number eighteen Maryland defeated Rutgers ninety
to eighty one. Right now number seventeen Memphis with the

(01:04:44):
leadover Temple twenty three to twenty one, seven minutes to
go in.

Speaker 7 (01:04:47):
The first half.

Speaker 6 (01:04:48):
In the NHL, I'm looking to see if alex Oelvechkin
has scored. He has not scored, so he's still sixteen
goals away from breaking Wayne Gretzky's all time scoring record.
But Utah Hockey Club on top of the Capital is
four to two after two periods, and the Lightning are
all over the Canadians four to one.

Speaker 7 (01:05:03):
Halfway through the second period.

Speaker 6 (01:05:06):
And of course the big game, as we're talking about
Super Bowl fifty nine. Jake Laser of NFL on Fox
did report during the Super Bowl broadcast that Aaron Rodgers
has been informed by the Jets that they will be
moving on from him, while the San Francisco forty nine
ers have granted star receiver Deebo Samuel and his agent
permission to seek a.

Speaker 7 (01:05:25):
Trade back to you guys, all right, very.

Speaker 1 (01:05:27):
Very good match. We appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (01:05:31):
Okay, once again Fox Football Sunday, we've been talking a
little bit about wagers, went through some of those maybe
long shot MVP choices.

Speaker 1 (01:05:40):
Here's another one.

Speaker 2 (01:05:42):
So there are two very, very very famous people who
are going to be in attendance at the game today.

Speaker 1 (01:05:51):
One of them, as we know, is Taylor Swift. The
other person, yes, is the first sitting president ever to
attend a Super Bowl. That would be President Trump. So
President Trump will be there, Taylor Swift will be there.
Keep in mind it is.

Speaker 2 (01:06:12):
A Fox broadcast, Richie, who is gonna be shown more
during the course of this game, President Trump or Taylor Swift.

Speaker 3 (01:06:25):
Wow?

Speaker 1 (01:06:27):
I mean this is this could be a wager out there.

Speaker 4 (01:06:30):
Yeah, And I'm glad you brought it up for that
reason because obviously a lot of people are shopping different
sportsbooks for fun, unique props, and there are plenty of
them out there. There are more props for this one
game than there are for any other game on the

(01:06:50):
sports calendar. My knee jerk reaction is Taylor And the
reason why is because Taylor Swift. From the standpoint of,
like if I'm a producer in a truck, if I'm
if I'm a director who's in charge of making sure

(01:07:11):
that this game is as popular and received as an
overall good viewing experience for as many people as possible.
Any political candidate or sitting president is polarizing by nature because,
like we know, we just went through the general election.

(01:07:33):
You know, it's about fifty to fifty who votes for who?
I mean, obviously, to win the office, you have to
have a slight edge, and we understand that that's how
elections work. But the point I'm trying to make is
that means that nearly fifty percent of your audience did
not vote for that person. So do you really want
to show that person a whole lot, whether it was

(01:07:53):
you know, Obama or Bush or Biden or Trump or whoever.
The answer is probably not. So I would say Taylor
Swift is seen on the television more than Donald Trump.

Speaker 1 (01:08:04):
Well, I would agree.

Speaker 2 (01:08:05):
I agree with you one hundred percent on the polarizing
aspect of any politician. But if you don't think that
Taylor Swift has become polarizing, you've missed it. Over the
last couple of years, she has turned off her exposure
at these Chiefs games. Again, I'm gonna guess this, half
the people at least who are watching this game are

(01:08:25):
rooting against the Chiefs, and so the last thing I want,
if I'm hating on the Chiefs, is to see her
mug being shown repeatedly every time that the Chiefs have
a good play or Travis Kelcey catches a ball. You
talk about fatigue, I think a lot of people are
fatigued by Taylor Swift's being shown constantly during a Chiefs game,

(01:08:51):
especially now of the magnitude of the Super Bowl. I'm
trying to figure last.

Speaker 1 (01:08:56):
Year, guys, how much did they show her at the
Super bowllast year?

Speaker 8 (01:09:00):
Because I think people were talking about it going into
the game, like, right, Oh, I don't want to see
that much too, So I don't think they really showed
her that much. But what's the cutoff in terms of
TV time? Because I have a dark horse?

Speaker 1 (01:09:10):
Dark horse?

Speaker 8 (01:09:11):
Yeah, give me Kevin Hart. Interesting, Oh, because it's huge
Eagles Eagles fan.

Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
Oh what about Cooper?

Speaker 6 (01:09:18):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:09:18):
What's his Bradley Cooper? Cooper absolutely is going to be there. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:09:23):
Now, are we going to get a repeat performers from
Kevin Hart like he did years ago and the Eagles
won the Super Bowl.

Speaker 8 (01:09:28):
Trying to get on the stage and everything and then showing.

Speaker 2 (01:09:30):
Up completely schnockered out of his mind. Then give me
Kevin Hart. He's definitely gonna have a draft cams.

Speaker 1 (01:09:37):
Remember when they beat the Patriots of the Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
Kevin Hart became the big story because he crashed the
postgame show completely bombed out of his mind.

Speaker 4 (01:09:47):
I feel like Jason Kelsey is going to be seen
on television chance because remember he has both Eagles and
Kansas City ties.

Speaker 1 (01:09:56):
He let me ask you, this, is he rooting for
his former teammates or is brother.

Speaker 8 (01:10:00):
He made it very clear that he's rooting for the
Eagles to win, but he's always going to be happy
to watch Travis play. Well.

Speaker 3 (01:10:06):
Yeah, and that's that's you know what.

Speaker 4 (01:10:09):
That is the only answer you could give, because let's
let's be honest. I mean, he knows where it's bread
is spottered. I mean you can you cannot.

Speaker 3 (01:10:17):
Turn off the city.

Speaker 1 (01:10:18):
Whoa whoa, whoa whoa hopeful hold on, hold on, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:10:21):
Go ahead.

Speaker 1 (01:10:22):
That's that's his team. I mean, he only played for
one team his whole Hall of Fame career, and he
is a teammate of all of these guys except I
saw Barkley. I mean pretty much every guy on that
team was a teammate. Events that's right, Uh, rooting for
the Chiefs.

Speaker 3 (01:10:41):
No, No, No, he said he's rooting for the Eagles.

Speaker 1 (01:10:44):
I know, yeah, he's saying that publicly.

Speaker 3 (01:10:46):
No, he's rooting for the Eagles to win.

Speaker 4 (01:10:47):
If he says it publicly, it's really what he Okay,
let me ask this, Let me ask you this.

Speaker 1 (01:10:51):
Right, if the if the Eagles.

Speaker 2 (01:10:53):
Win this game, do we see Jason Kelsey on the
field jumping up and down and hugging his former teammates
as his brother cries in the arms of Taylor Swift
after the game?

Speaker 1 (01:11:05):
Could you see that?

Speaker 8 (01:11:06):
I think it's more likely that he finds his brother
on the field like they did in the last game.

Speaker 3 (01:11:11):
Yeah, yeah, I could see.

Speaker 1 (01:11:13):
That ethic hug and then turns around and starts high
fiving with all the Eagle players.

Speaker 8 (01:11:18):
Can you imagine all the gamblers if they get win
that Taylor Swift is down on the field, They're all
going to be hammering the proposal.

Speaker 2 (01:11:23):
Okay, does anybody honestly believe it's so contrived the idea
that if the Chiefs win, that Travis Kelsey takes in
knee after the game and proposes I mean, come on,
I mean, doest anybody honestly believe that's gonna happen?

Speaker 3 (01:11:39):
You and you wont know why? Because I love love
that's why.

Speaker 1 (01:11:42):
Well, yeah, but that's a private moment, that's no hold
on a second. No, by the way, I got proposed
on the radio because I needed all that attention.

Speaker 4 (01:11:53):
Well see, okay, so Steve Hartman and I'm gonna I'm
gonna tell the story then, Steve, you fill in the bikes.

Speaker 3 (01:11:58):
Yeah, his is beautiful.

Speaker 4 (01:12:01):
Wife who had three wonderful kids with ex wife now
but still a wonderful person. All those years ago, you
welcomed her to the radio station under false auspices. She
entered the studio and while live on air doing a broadcast.

Speaker 3 (01:12:18):
Of the Loose Cannons with your co host at the time, Chef.

Speaker 1 (01:12:20):
Forty, with a local TV show filming.

Speaker 4 (01:12:23):
Yeah, yeah, local television cameras filming live.

Speaker 3 (01:12:28):
At the time.

Speaker 4 (01:12:29):
All of a sudden, he pops the question, Denise, will
you marry me? She says yes on air, and you
tell me this is a very private thing, that engagements
are very private affairs.

Speaker 2 (01:12:39):
Let me, I'm the reason I mentioned that is how
did my marriage end?

Speaker 1 (01:12:43):
Okay, Here's let me tell you something.

Speaker 2 (01:12:49):
Here's something I regret. And okay, I have no regrets
about getting married. But here's the thing. When you do
what I did, or what everyone thinks Travis else is
going to do.

Speaker 1 (01:13:01):
You set the bar really high.

Speaker 2 (01:13:05):
You don't want to do that in the beginning. You
want to start slow and then build up.

Speaker 1 (01:13:10):
When you start where I started, everything was downhill from
that point.

Speaker 8 (01:13:14):
I don't think.

Speaker 1 (01:13:15):
Don't go big. I don't go big.

Speaker 8 (01:13:17):
I don't think Taylor Swift's team would allow him to
propose to her on the field.

Speaker 3 (01:13:22):
Oh, I see what you're saying.

Speaker 8 (01:13:24):
You think, well, I think Taylor Swift wears the pants
in that relationship, is.

Speaker 3 (01:13:27):
What I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (01:13:28):
Well, I will save him and do call the shots.

Speaker 3 (01:13:30):
But I mean, well, there's no question about that.

Speaker 4 (01:13:33):
I mean, if it's if Travis Keli anything like my life,
I would not have done what I had done if
I didn't know that that was exactly how she wanted
it to happen.

Speaker 1 (01:13:45):
Okay, let's make that clear. Yeah, yeah, like she was.

Speaker 2 (01:13:48):
It wasn't like that would be something that she would
be against. I knew that that's exactly what she wanted.

Speaker 4 (01:13:55):
Well, I will say this, Taylor Swift, I think overall
has lived her life in public for the majority of
her life.

Speaker 3 (01:14:05):
Travis Kelcey overall.

Speaker 4 (01:14:08):
Has lived his life in public for the majority of
his life. If there's any two people who I could
see feeling comfortable about having the world celebrate their engagement
alongside of them.

Speaker 3 (01:14:19):
It's those two, so it wouldn't shock me in the
least bit.

Speaker 2 (01:14:22):
All right, So, but I would rather you know, if
you're a Chiefs hater, you want to seem like stuff
that ring back in his pocket after the game, He'll await.

Speaker 1 (01:14:30):
For another day.

Speaker 2 (01:14:31):
All right, We continue on breaking down this Super Bowl
fifty nine matchup.

Speaker 1 (01:14:35):
This is Fox Football Sunday, Steve Harman and Rich Harburger.
Are you, Steve, do you believe in life after love?

Speaker 3 (01:14:46):
Do you?

Speaker 1 (01:14:47):
I really want to ask you.

Speaker 2 (01:14:49):
I remember when Cher did this song. I'm like, what
is up with that voice box thing She's got going
on in this thing? I mean, that is just it
was so bizarre. Yes, do I believe in life after love?

Speaker 1 (01:15:06):
Absolutely? Because you're always in search of your next love?
Isn't that right?

Speaker 3 (01:15:11):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (01:15:12):
Hold on, I didn't want you to get all philosophical. Well,
I just I don't know. I got a little deep
starting to stop me right.

Speaker 2 (01:15:18):
Once again, Fox Football Sunday, We are alive from the
ti Iraq dot Com studios. Okay, I want to go
back to a big announcement during the week. Rich and
that was Most Valuable Player. And I think the world
was stunned. I was stunned when Josh Allen was named

(01:15:40):
the MVP. And again to put things in perspective, after
Lamar Jackson was voted First Team All Pro, same group
of voters, you know, the same fifty people vote for
the All Pro teams and all the awards that the
last time this happened, well, technically two thousand and three,
it was a year in which Peyton Manning and Steve

(01:16:02):
McNair tied for the MVP.

Speaker 1 (01:16:04):
Peyton Manny had been the All Pro. But the last
time this actually happened was nineteen eighty seven. Nineteen eighty seven,
Joe Montana's first team All Pro quarterback and John Elway
won the MVP award.

Speaker 2 (01:16:16):
So how surprised were you? And if you had had
a vote again excluding the postseason, because this was a
regular season only award, who would you have voted for MVP?

Speaker 4 (01:16:29):
I think when you look at which team would struggle
more without their quarterback, I would say the Buffalo Bills.
So I think they got it right because Derrick Henry
is such a phenomenal presence on that Baltimore Ravens offense
that I think that Lamar Jackson's value well extremely high.

(01:16:52):
I think where if we're talking about who's more irreplaceable
to sustain anything nearing this success they enjoyed during the
regular season, I would say that that is Josh Allen
and there's really no debate.

Speaker 3 (01:17:11):
In my mind, I.

Speaker 1 (01:17:12):
Agree with you, Rich.

Speaker 2 (01:17:13):
Look, the Offensive Player of the Year award is basically
the stat award, right, and they got it right Sequon Barkley.
Even as great as Lamar Jackson's stats were, Saquon Barkley
had the best offensive stats season. I don't think anyone
denies the fact that had he played that last game

(01:17:35):
against a woeful Giants team, he would have broken the
single season rushing record. In retrospect, if they end up
winning the Super Bowl, I don't think Saquon Barkley is
really going to care because ultimately they sat him out
and it's.

Speaker 1 (01:17:47):
Looked good so far because he's had well over one
hundred yards. In fact, he had a two hundred yard
game against the Rams in the postseason.

Speaker 2 (01:17:54):
That's the stat award most I see it. This is
why I like this with the NFL, that the end
is a separate award. Yeah, I agree, and so then
it's about what you talked about. It's about value to
your team. Joe Burrow had better stats than Josh Allen,
Lamar Jackson had better stats. Saquon Barkley had better stats,

(01:18:18):
but that wasn't the award reward is who is the
most valuable player? And in fact, when you look statistically,
Josh Allen's had better seasons than he had this year, Yes,
but was his was his value to the team ever
greater than it was this season?

Speaker 3 (01:18:36):
And the answer and there it is. Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:18:39):
People just don't seem to understand any things.

Speaker 2 (01:18:41):
You get it, well, I get it, but they don't
understand the nature of these award. There's a big difference
between most Valuable Player and Offensive Player.

Speaker 3 (01:18:49):
Of the Year. Yeah, that's right, that's right.

Speaker 4 (01:18:51):
Yeah, there is a big difference in my mind, and
and I think that a lot of times these are
popularity contests, and I don't think this year was much
and it didn't do anything to dissuade me from that
thought process. But I think they got it right this year,
and sometimes they do sometimes they get it wrong.

Speaker 3 (01:19:07):
In fact, I would say most times.

Speaker 1 (01:19:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:19:09):
And by the way, the All Pro team is also
one that is stat oriented. It's not about most valuable,
who is the best player? Much different thing. All right,
We got much more to break down as we get
ready for the big game. Chiefs Eagles. Who has the edge?
We'll tell you this is Fox Football Sunday.

Speaker 3 (01:19:26):
All right.

Speaker 1 (01:19:27):
We are now three and a half hours away of
kickoff of Super Bowl fifty nine between the Chiefs and
the Eagles, and once again Fox Football Sunday broadcasting live
from the tyrack dot Com studios. Ty rack dot com.

Speaker 2 (01:19:40):
We're gonna help get you there, and I'm matched selection
fast ree shipping, free road as a protection over ten
thousand recommended installers ti i rack dot com the way
tire buying should be. All right, We continue to break
down this game, and there are a lot of people
saying you're just wasting your time because the outcome of

(01:20:02):
this game has already been determined. It's fixed. The Chiefs
will win the Super Bowl. The NFL will guarantee the
Chiefs will win the Super Bowl. They've won seventeen consecutive
one score games.

Speaker 1 (01:20:19):
The fix is in now. That was the talk all
week long.

Speaker 2 (01:20:24):
Early in the week in New Orleans, rich even the
commissioner himself, Roger Goodell, had to face a barrage of
questions about why it is that the league is fixing
games in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs. So let's
take a step back here, because these are very serious
accusations that somehow there's a conspiracy for one team to

(01:20:47):
win every game.

Speaker 3 (01:20:50):
And when you.

Speaker 2 (01:20:51):
Think about that, that would be going against everything that
the NFL stands for, because no professional league has done
more things to guarantee competitive balance than the NFL. And
they did this going back to when Pete Roselle was
the commissioner, when he decided when they started getting some

(01:21:14):
sizable network television money, that for the Green Bays of
the world to compete with the New York's of the world,
we had to have equal distribution of the network television money.

Speaker 1 (01:21:26):
And that's what we have today.

Speaker 2 (01:21:28):
And by the way, the amount of money each team
gets equal amount of money from the network contracts is
the identical number to the salary cap.

Speaker 3 (01:21:37):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (01:21:38):
So it's almost like that all that money is already
paid for. We're handing you that money. What to do
beyond that is up to you. So why do you believe, well,
let's get back to the stat seventeen consecutive one score
games in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs. So, if

(01:21:59):
you don't into the conspiracy theory, how do you explain
a team coming out on top in seventeen consecutive one
score games?

Speaker 4 (01:22:10):
Rich, Well, there's a lot of different reasons why that
can happen, and since there are so many variables in
football games, I don't think we could just highlight one.
Have the Chiefs gotten lucky in certain situations with calls?

Speaker 3 (01:22:28):
Yeah, there's no doubt. Do I believe there's a coordinated.

Speaker 4 (01:22:31):
Effort from the NFL and a conspiracy going on to
make sure that the Chiefs have more favorable outcomes and
they're controlling that factor, I would say no, I don't
believe in that conspiracy. However, I would say they've had
some good luck in some spots and that's helped. However,

(01:22:53):
you know what else helps the fact that so many
teams have made mistakes in the final minutes of football
games against the Chiefs or the fourth quarter in football
games against the Chiefs. So many times, Patrick Mahomes and
their offense has been clutch and we're able to traverse
the field and get into field goal range or into

(01:23:13):
the red zone, or to score on a long pass
or a long run. They've been very clutch. Also, their
defense has come up with really incredible plays as well
in the fourth quarter and end in overtime.

Speaker 3 (01:23:26):
These one score games we're talking about.

Speaker 4 (01:23:29):
So I don't limit football to just one factor because
it's impossible to.

Speaker 3 (01:23:35):
There's too many things going on.

Speaker 4 (01:23:37):
And it isn't that glaringly obvious that the Chiefs are
getting so much more calls than anybody else. They are
capitalizing on those calls. They are capitalizing on those calls.
And that's credit to Andy Reid, that's credit to Patrick
Mahomes and that offense. That's credit to Chris Jones and
that defense in Vic Fangio, defensive coordinator. This is a

(01:23:59):
team that knows how to capitalize on the mistakes of
their opponents or capitalize off of the good graces of
getting a call when they absolutely need it.

Speaker 2 (01:24:09):
But there's also been an again I know the frustration
for the Chiefs haters out there, but it hasn't always
been gains that the Chiefs have won.

Speaker 1 (01:24:19):
There have been games where the opponents blew. It's mean,
a blocked field goal, you know that.

Speaker 2 (01:24:24):
You know, I mean, we've had instances through this seventeen
game stretch of one score wins by the Chiefs. I
guarantee you if three or four of those games weren't
so much that the Chiefs won, it's the other team lost.
Here's the one thing I can guarantee you that has
happened during this streak for the Chiefs. They haven't they

(01:24:45):
haven't made mistakes down the stretch.

Speaker 3 (01:24:47):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (01:24:48):
That's if you avoid mistakes down the stretch, you obviously
give yourself a better opportunity to win the game. Now,
I'll give you a very interesting staff because when we
talk about the Eagles, I think most people would.

Speaker 2 (01:25:03):
Agree, man for man, the Eagles have more talent right
now than the Chiefs.

Speaker 3 (01:25:11):
Don't disagree.

Speaker 1 (01:25:12):
They have more elite players on their roster currently on
both sides of the ball than the Chiefs. It's not
like the Chiefs are voided talent. It's just that the
Eagles have a few more pieces. But we you know,
we go back now two weeks ago we saw the
Lions lose to the Commanders. There was one stat in

(01:25:33):
that game five turnovers yep to zero. And then when
I said, I think the Eagles will blow out the Commanders.
What happened there? Four turnovers? Are the Commanders?

Speaker 3 (01:25:43):
Right?

Speaker 1 (01:25:44):
So the question is if the Eagles can not blow
this game. Obviously they have a great chance to win
this game.

Speaker 2 (01:25:55):
And here's a really key stat from Week eight on
the postseason this.

Speaker 1 (01:26:01):
Year for the Eagles.

Speaker 2 (01:26:03):
So starting Week eight through the postseason, the Eagles turnover
margin is a plus twenty seven plus twenty seven. That's
over like ten games, eleven games. That is an insane
number in favor of the Eagles. That means that not

(01:26:25):
only are you creating a lot of turnovers, you're not
making mi mistakes. So when we talk about the turnover margin, now,
last week, remember the Bills became only the second team
to win a playoff game in which they scored at
least four touchdowns and then not turn the ball over.

Speaker 1 (01:26:43):
The other team to do it was the Bills against
the Chiefs, So it's happened twice. And remember Mahomes did
have a fumble, they did have the one turnover last week.
But if the Eagles can just do what they have
been doing since mid season, which is creating turnovers and
not turning the ball over themselves and you have the
better personnel. I don't know that seems to have a

(01:27:06):
big plus toward the Eagles having a chance to win
this game.

Speaker 3 (01:27:09):
I compare the Chiefs to the ocean. Right.

Speaker 4 (01:27:14):
You know, you'll see strong teams go up against the Chiefs,
but it feels like the Chiefs always win because they
wear them down. Think about a cliff, a mountain, right,
a mountain versus the ocean.

Speaker 3 (01:27:26):
He well, I mean, I face value. You say, well,
the mountain's.

Speaker 4 (01:27:29):
Really strong, and you know, I mean it's it's so tall,
and it's so big, and it's so mad.

Speaker 3 (01:27:36):
Well, it's the ocean.

Speaker 4 (01:27:37):
The ocean crashes into the walls that mountain over and
over and over and over, until finally, all of a sudden,
you know, you start to see some cracks and you
start to see that first layer smoothing out from the
relentless pressure of the ocean.

Speaker 3 (01:27:54):
And over time, you know this.

Speaker 4 (01:27:57):
These waves, they just keep crashing into the side of
this mountain until you know, it almost undercuts it. And
then you have this avalanche of rock falling into the
water and it doesn't stop. It just keeps coming and
it keeps coming. Well, that is what the Kansas City
Chiefs are. They're the ocean. It doesn't matter how significant
a rock you put in its way, it'll eventually bore

(01:28:20):
a hole through it. Because it's consistent and it doesn't
make mistakes.

Speaker 3 (01:28:25):
It finds a way to win.

Speaker 4 (01:28:27):
And even if it takes all game long, even if
they're trailing all game long, you can never count out
the Chiefs because eventually they're gonna wear you down. And
so that's what it feels like the Eagles are up against, Like, yeah, hey,
maybe Saquon Barkley breaks one early. You know, maybe aj
Brown catches a deep pass over the top of one
of these corners, or he leaps up in double coverage

(01:28:48):
and he comes down with a chunk play and the
Eagles pop it into the end zone. Maybe they lead
by two scores by halftime. But are really are we
really ever gonna count the Chiefs out? Answer is no,
because they have an intangible factor that belongs to their roster.

Speaker 3 (01:29:04):
His name is Patrick Mahomes and very similar to.

Speaker 4 (01:29:08):
The goat Tom Brady, you are never counted out when
you have a special talent at quarterback like Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 3 (01:29:15):
And so yeah, I get it.

Speaker 4 (01:29:17):
I mean it's frustrating and the Chiefs have had some
good luck with the penalties. I'm not saying that they haven't,
but also have the awareness that teams have made big
mistakes against the Chiefs that have cost them games, and
the Chiefs have capitalized on many of the moments that
have won them games as a result.

Speaker 2 (01:29:36):
That is the big thing right there. You make a mistake,
you will pay against the Chiefs, no doubt, every single time.
Think about the Super Bowl two years ago. Yep, Jalen
Hurts had a better game than Patrick Mahomes, but he
made one mistake and that's all it takes, and that
in a three point game. That was the difference game. Actually, Bo,
you have a theory.

Speaker 8 (01:29:57):
Yeah, thank you for bringing that up. I really want
to think about it.

Speaker 3 (01:30:00):
That game.

Speaker 8 (01:30:01):
No, I don't know if you guys saw, but after
the NFC title game when the Eagles generated all those
turnovers against Washington, Nick sirianni and a couple of defensive
coaches made the point to explain that, you know, they
showed the team footage of Charles Tillman and the peanut
punch and all that stuff and how he did that.
The Chiefs receivers are Xavier Worthy Hollywood Brown and you

(01:30:23):
know some some jags. If anybody's gonna be susceptible to
the peanut punch, it might be the young Chiefs receiver.
So I could totally see them them generating some turnovers
with that. And on the ref thing, I think there's
a bigger chance that the refs are not involved in
this game today at all, given that it was a
media narrative all week long, to the point where Roger
Goodell had to address it during his State of the

(01:30:44):
Union address ahead of the Super Bowl. So I'm hard
to believe that there's gonna be a point where the
refs are throwing a pass interference flag today that decides
the game. Given yeah, given all the attention that.

Speaker 2 (01:30:54):
Was placed well in a week and going back a
couple of years ago, I remember it was a late
penalty to allow the Chiefs to essentially extend that final
drive which ended up with the field goal.

Speaker 1 (01:31:05):
To win the game against the Eagles, and I.

Speaker 8 (01:31:07):
Had blocked it out too. I did not realize that
Patrick Mahomes was like begging and pleading for the ref
to throw that flag to before they actually I.

Speaker 1 (01:31:14):
Mean, it was unbelievable, but I tend to agree with you.
I think the officials have been put on alert by
the league. By the league.

Speaker 2 (01:31:23):
I mean again, it's not about what penalties are called,
it's when they're called, you know. And if it's late
in the game and it's a one score game and
it's gonna come down to whoever has the ball last,
and you make a call that could you know, potentially
be called on any play, like a holding call or

(01:31:45):
you know, the controversial interference or defensive holding, whatever it
may be. Caution, you better be right because if you're not,
it's gonna look bad on the entire league.

Speaker 3 (01:31:56):
All right.

Speaker 1 (01:31:57):
Coming up on the other side, will continue to break
down some of the numbers.

Speaker 2 (01:32:00):
Here that could favor one team over the other. This
is Fox Football Sunday.

Speaker 1 (01:32:06):
Steve Harbin and Rich Ormberger Fox Football Sunday. We are
live from the tire rack dot Com studios now a
little over three hours away from the kickoff of this
matchup between the Chiefs and the Eagles.

Speaker 2 (01:32:23):
So last week, Rich, I asked you if Jalen Hurts
won this game, where would you put him in the
current lexicon of quarterbacks?

Speaker 1 (01:32:34):
You said top ten, And I'm like, really, let me
give you.

Speaker 2 (01:32:38):
A stat Since the start of the twenty twenty two season,
Patrick Mahomes has a starter record including the postseason.

Speaker 1 (01:32:45):
Of forty eight and ten, forty eight and ten.

Speaker 2 (01:32:49):
Jalen Hurts forty two and twelve, forty two and twelve,
So it's not that far off.

Speaker 3 (01:32:58):
Yeah, I get it.

Speaker 2 (01:33:00):
Here's another stat for you on Jalen Hurts this postseason
zero interceptions, So what we know.

Speaker 1 (01:33:08):
The Mahomes numbers are crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:33:09):
Here's my favorite stat about Patrick Mahomes this postseason SAT.

Speaker 1 (01:33:14):
Patrick Mahomes is the.

Speaker 2 (01:33:15):
Chiefs all time career leader in postseason rushing. He has
more postseason rushing yards than any Chief in history. So
forget the passing. I also I give you a stat
that looks good for Tom Brady.

Speaker 1 (01:33:34):
Ready for this one?

Speaker 3 (01:33:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:33:35):
Sure, So Mahomes has forty three career postseason touchdown passes.
Montana and Rogers are at forty five. They're tied for second,
Tom Brady eighty eight. I mean, the Brady numbers are ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (01:33:54):
They're nuts.

Speaker 1 (01:33:54):
I mean they're just completely ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (01:33:57):
But getting back to Jalen Hurts, why is he not
getting more recognition for what he has done as a
starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Speaker 4 (01:34:12):
Because he's not in the upper echelon of quarterbacks in
the NFL.

Speaker 1 (01:34:17):
Well, how do you how do you engage? I mean,
we're talking Most Valuable Player Award that it's not necessarily
a stat award, it's it's sort of the intangibles, right, Okay,
but let's.

Speaker 3 (01:34:26):
Go with the m VP.

Speaker 4 (01:34:27):
Okay, so again, and I'm going to use the same
exact criteria I used the last time we discussed this. Right,
if I told you you you had a start a
football team tomorrow and you have to use only current
NFL football players, who's your quarterback that you would choose?

Speaker 3 (01:34:47):
Josh Allen or Jellen Hurts?

Speaker 1 (01:34:51):
Well, again, you already know my answer to this. Well,
well let's just go I mean, because what I what
I said is this, I am I saying that Josh
Allen is a more talented quarterback than Jalen Hurts. The
answer is yes, okay, good, but Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 2 (01:35:12):
But hang on, he already twice now done something that
Josh Allen.

Speaker 4 (01:35:19):
I'm answering your question. Right, So, Josh Allen or Jalen Hurts,
who do you start your team with? Josh Allen or
Jellen Hurts. I mean, I don't have a hard time answering.

Speaker 1 (01:35:32):
I know you don't have a hard time.

Speaker 3 (01:35:34):
I do. Okay, Okay, I do.

Speaker 2 (01:35:36):
And and again, this is not a knock on Josh Allen,
but he's had multiple opportunities, not just on the road.
Remember last year Buffalo had the Chiefs at home.

Speaker 4 (01:35:48):
But again remember remember value. Who's more valuable to their
team Josh Jalen Hurts. In my mind, if I'm starting
a team tomorrow, I'm taking I'm taking Josh Allen over Jail.

Speaker 1 (01:36:00):
Okay, so let me. I'll use an analogy back.

Speaker 4 (01:36:03):
Lamar Jackson or Jaillen Hurts. Who are you starting your
team with? For me, it's Lamar Jackson. I I just
want to be Patrick Mahomes or Jalen Hurts. I'm choosing
Patrick mahomes h, Jayden Daniels or Jai Who am I picking?

Speaker 3 (01:36:21):
Obviously?

Speaker 4 (01:36:21):
I mean it's obviously Jaden the top, Matthew Stafford or
Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 3 (01:36:28):
I'm choosing Matthew Stafford.

Speaker 4 (01:36:30):
Why, okay, Baker Mayfield Jalen Hurt. I'm choosing Baker Mayfield.

Speaker 1 (01:36:35):
No, you're not, Yes, I am. Why are you doing
that to Jalen Hurts, Joe Burrow, Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 3 (01:36:42):
Who am I choosing?

Speaker 4 (01:36:43):
Joe Burrow's got Super Bowl?

Speaker 1 (01:36:48):
So anti Jalen, I'm not.

Speaker 3 (01:36:50):
I'm not anti.

Speaker 1 (01:36:51):
Just rattled off half the quarterbacks in the league.

Speaker 3 (01:36:53):
No, I did not.

Speaker 4 (01:36:54):
I gave you six names, six names, six names of
guys who I would take over Jalen Hurts. The reason
why Jalen Hurts isn't considered the whole story with the
Philadelphia Eagles is because it has always felt that Jalen
Hurts has an insanely talented surrounding cast who do more
to benefit Jalen Hurts than Jalen Hurts does to benefit them.

(01:37:19):
Whereas when you have a Joe Burrow, a josh Allen,
Patrick Mahomes, you have a Matthew Stafford, you have a
Lamar Jackson. I give you five names right there, just
rattling off names of and I could probably think and
give you more. Jaden Daniels, who you know, intangibly flip
the franchises where all of a sudden, we got a

(01:37:41):
dude at quarterback who can change games for us.

Speaker 3 (01:37:45):
Jalen Hurt's not that guy.

Speaker 1 (01:37:47):
But we weren't saying that two years ago, two years ago.

Speaker 2 (01:37:51):
Not only was he the best quarterback on the field
in that Super Bowl, he was also second in the
MVP voting that year. So you know, after the twenty
twenty two season, we had Jalen Hurts right at the top.
Now two years later he's back in the Super Bowl
and you barely have him in the top ten.

Speaker 3 (01:38:10):
What's changed?

Speaker 4 (01:38:11):
Oh no, no, no, I have him in the top ten,
and he's securely in the top ten.

Speaker 1 (01:38:14):
We weren't saying that two years ago.

Speaker 2 (01:38:16):
Rich two years ago, he was in the conversation as
best quarterback in the league. And then last year happened.
And then remember he was hurting last year part of it.
And now he comes back this year, gets the team
back rolling all the way to the super Bowl. And
I'm saying, if he wins the Super Bowl, now what, Well.

Speaker 1 (01:38:34):
You're just trying to figure.

Speaker 3 (01:38:35):
Out what happened.

Speaker 1 (01:38:35):
What's the difference between now there're two years ago.

Speaker 4 (01:38:38):
There's been offensive regression with Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 3 (01:38:41):
There has been.

Speaker 1 (01:38:42):
Well if you look as the emergence of a great
player like Sakuon Barkley.

Speaker 3 (01:38:45):
No, the regression started last year.

Speaker 4 (01:38:49):
The regression started in the twenty twenty three season and
it continued in the twenty twenty four season. He hasn't
looked as good at any point in his career than
that outstanding twenty twenty two where he led his team
to the Super Bowl. And by the way, the numbers look,
if you're a stack guy, which I know you are,
the numbers prove it too. Look, Jalen Hurts is a

(01:39:10):
fine quarterback. Jalen Hurts, in my mind, is a top
ten quarterback. But they're about six or seven quarterbacks who
I would take if I was starting a team tomorrow,
who I would take over Jalen Hurts. And there's no
question in my mind about it. And then it starts
getting tricky because then you start talking about CJ. Stroud
or what we've already seen from Bo Nicks. You know,

(01:39:32):
like all of a sudden, like there are a couple
of guys who are burgeoning pros who look like Trevor Lawrence.
I mean Trevor Lawrence. He's a talented quarterback. In fact,
even though he has not had as near as much
success as Jalen Hurts, I would say that he's a
more talented quarterback. He has been bereft of talent around

(01:39:52):
that Jacksonville roster.

Speaker 3 (01:39:54):
But if you put Trevor Lawrence and he.

Speaker 4 (01:39:56):
Could parachute in to the Philadelphia Eagles and he had
that setup, you're telling me that the Philadelphia Eagles wouldn't
be a better football team.

Speaker 2 (01:40:03):
All right, Let's get to Bowen as a tie break
in this. All right, So I got a proposed trade
for you right now. Well, let's see you will do this.
You can straight up trade Jalen Hurts for Justin Herbert.
Are you gonna make the trade?

Speaker 3 (01:40:14):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (01:40:15):
There it is, all right.

Speaker 3 (01:40:16):
So there it is.

Speaker 8 (01:40:18):
I would do Justin Herbert, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen.

Speaker 1 (01:40:22):
Mahomes, Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 8 (01:40:24):
No, I would not do Lamar here.

Speaker 1 (01:40:26):
That would not do the Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 3 (01:40:28):
So he named three already, so shared goff, hang on, Hey, I'm.

Speaker 9 (01:40:33):
Back the real the real question for bow knowing where
his loyalties lie bo, Jalen Hurts are, Baker Mayfield.

Speaker 8 (01:40:40):
Yeah, I'm still taking Jalen.

Speaker 1 (01:40:42):
Look that is a stunner, all right, So the old again.

Speaker 2 (01:40:45):
Let's I'm at him. Josh Allen, Josh Allen, he said, so, yeah, Mahomes,
Allen Burrow, Herbert, that's four.

Speaker 3 (01:40:55):
What about Stafford? No, no, Stafford?

Speaker 1 (01:40:58):
Okay, so those are the four?

Speaker 4 (01:40:59):
What about Jayden Daniels maybe, okay, so William Caleb Williams,
Oh that, oh my, he's a big usc Nicks.

Speaker 8 (01:41:12):
There's no way. I think there's a better chance that
this was bo Nicks's seaming this year than there is.
Oh well, that's not fair. He's still elite.

Speaker 1 (01:41:22):
But okay, But but I'm saying so he's got a
handful of quarterbacks right now. He would trade in a heartbeat.

Speaker 2 (01:41:28):
Even if Jalonards wins the Super Bowl, guy for three
hundred plus yards, scores four touchdowns, He's gone.

Speaker 8 (01:41:35):
No, I just gone if those definitely guys that are
more talented. But there are always quarterbacks that are more
talented than Tom Brady.

Speaker 1 (01:41:42):
I don't know if you guys are really understanding Jalen Hurts.
Team leader.

Speaker 8 (01:41:47):
He's like the heartbeat of the Eagles.

Speaker 1 (01:41:50):
So team leader. The respect he has in that locker room,
I don't.

Speaker 8 (01:41:55):
Think the team. I don't think the team would trade
him for anybody.

Speaker 3 (01:41:59):
Of course they would like, so I just I just
see it from this standpoint.

Speaker 4 (01:42:03):
I I'm and and get don't get me wrong, I'm
sure early in his career there were conversations like this
about Tom Brady as well, and Tom Brady, the test
of time proved that he's the greatest of all time
because more than the stats, more than more than anything else,
he he was a winner, and he was a leader.

Speaker 3 (01:42:22):
And he was clutch. But here's my deal.

Speaker 4 (01:42:26):
I haven't seen enough from Jalen Hurts talent wise and
enough from Jalen Hurts clutch wise to make me believe
that the Philadelphia Eagles are made so much better with
him at QUI.

Speaker 1 (01:42:39):
So if they're down late in this game October.

Speaker 4 (01:42:45):
Since October, the Philadelphia Eagles have trailed in the fourth
quarter for four minutes. So they have had a fairly
light schedule, and they have been dominating teams to the
point where they're leading through the fourth quarter in the
majority of their games. I'm not saying that's Jalen Hurt's fault.
That's a great thing, that's a good problem to have.

(01:43:06):
But my point is he's not as tested of a
clutch quarterback as many of.

Speaker 2 (01:43:10):
The Well, yeah, Lamar Jackson, how's his late game playoff record?

Speaker 3 (01:43:15):
Look? But but you cannot are you cannot argue guy.

Speaker 4 (01:43:19):
If the Philadelphia Eagles had Lamar Jackson at quarterback, that
they wouldn't be a better.

Speaker 3 (01:43:23):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:43:24):
I mean, how many fourth quarter comebacks does he have
in the postseason?

Speaker 1 (01:43:28):
How many? I mean, how many does he got hurt?

Speaker 3 (01:43:31):
Well? How many does But that's my point correct.

Speaker 1 (01:43:34):
There's only one guy that has any that's guy's His
name is Patrick Mahomes. All right, yeah, let's find out
what's strenging. Let's find out UH has been laughing for this.

Speaker 7 (01:43:44):
Entire Yeah, mom and dad are fighting.

Speaker 1 (01:43:47):
Well, you know, I started to throw the pie server
got thrown. He is the thing.

Speaker 3 (01:43:53):
Man.

Speaker 1 (01:43:54):
Believe me when I say this, I know this is
going to come a shot to you. I'm never wrong, right,
so when I go off against people, are wrong.

Speaker 7 (01:44:07):
Right, just doing a public service.

Speaker 1 (01:44:10):
I'm exactly he's doing. I'm speaking for the people that
are like, please, Harbin, will you knock some sense into.

Speaker 7 (01:44:17):
The right right right.

Speaker 6 (01:44:19):
That's what he's doing, Rich, I know, which is like,
you're so lucky.

Speaker 10 (01:44:23):
I am preparing a meal in San Diego right now, because.

Speaker 6 (01:44:25):
We would not be be this cordial in person, right, No,
not at all, not.

Speaker 7 (01:44:33):
Exactly. That's exactly what I envision.

Speaker 6 (01:44:35):
Actually, yeah, guys, super Bowl fifty nine getting closer to
kickoff six thirty Eastern time.

Speaker 7 (01:44:40):
You can catch all the action on Fox TV.

Speaker 6 (01:44:42):
Eagles and Chiefs trying to make history first team to
win three consecutive Super Bowls.

Speaker 7 (01:44:47):
There's going to be history made already though.

Speaker 6 (01:44:50):
So two Philadelphia Eagles stars Saquon Barkley and Cooper de
John are set to make history as the first to
ever play the Super Bowl on their actual birthdays.

Speaker 7 (01:45:02):
That has never happened super Bowl one.

Speaker 6 (01:45:05):
No player has played on their actual exact day that
is their birthday.

Speaker 7 (01:45:10):
And we have two, and we have two doing it today. Wow,
So history's already being made.

Speaker 6 (01:45:15):
Also, Patrick Mahomes has arrived wearing an.

Speaker 7 (01:45:19):
All green suit.

Speaker 1 (01:45:21):
I saw it. It looked sharp.

Speaker 7 (01:45:23):
It does look sharp. It's like a forest green. It's good.

Speaker 4 (01:45:26):
It was.

Speaker 3 (01:45:26):
It was tight and.

Speaker 10 (01:45:27):
He looked no, yeah, he looked good.

Speaker 7 (01:45:29):
He looked good.

Speaker 3 (01:45:29):
Yeah. Yes.

Speaker 6 (01:45:30):
Other NFL news that came out today, Aaron Rodgers has
been informed by the Jets that they will be moving
on from him, and the San Francisco forty nine Ers
have granted star receiver Deebo Samuel and his agent permission
to seek a trade. In the NBA, the Pistons have
defeated the Hornets one twelve to one.

Speaker 3 (01:45:46):
Two.

Speaker 6 (01:45:46):
The Bucks are on top of the seventy six Ers
sixty seven to sixty three early in the third quarter.
No Janni Santa Takopo for the Bucks. He's actually gonna
be sidelined through the next two week because of that
mild capstrain. He is going to miss the All Star
Game next Sunday. But Damian Lillard nineteen points four Milwaukee,
Joel and Bid twenty four points and eight rebounds. So
something that was said during the broadcast Lisa Salters. So

(01:46:09):
the broadcast is going on on ABC seventy six Ers Bucks,
Lisa Salters is telling a story that she spoke to
Joel Embiid and that Joelle told her that his knee,
he doesn't think it's gonna be good until he gets
another surgery and a long recovery.

Speaker 3 (01:46:24):
Oh boy.

Speaker 7 (01:46:25):
So she said this during the.

Speaker 6 (01:46:26):
Broadcast, and the Bucks haven't really said that he needs
another surgery. He said that to Lisa Salters and she
reported it during the broadcast.

Speaker 3 (01:46:35):
Oh my goodness, sug.

Speaker 7 (01:46:36):
Just to keep that in mind.

Speaker 6 (01:46:37):
The other game going on in the NBA, The Raptors
are on the top of the Rocket's forty nine to forty
four halfway through the third quarter. In men's college hoops
number seventeen, Memphis beating Temple fifty five to forty nine
with about twelve minutes to go in the second half.

Speaker 7 (01:46:49):
Back to you, guys, Hi Monsey, thank you very jazous.

Speaker 1 (01:46:54):
Yes, and by the way, I agree with everything Monzie said. Well, yeah,
I mean, but she she is all always right, Yeah, okay,
she is always There's no question that's wrong.

Speaker 3 (01:47:03):
That all right?

Speaker 1 (01:47:05):
Let me ask you this rich It apparently is leaked
out no surprise to Kellen Moore, the Eagles offense coordinator
will be the next head coach of the New Orleans Saints.

Speaker 3 (01:47:15):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (01:47:16):
Is that a distraction?

Speaker 3 (01:47:18):
Yeah, it is. And I'll tell you why.

Speaker 4 (01:47:21):
I remember on a playoff run having a coordinator take
interview and end up being named the head coach. And
there's no way that you can one hundred percent commit
yourself to doing a great job during an interview process
and also do a great job preparing your team for

(01:47:43):
a football game.

Speaker 3 (01:47:44):
There's just look, there's.

Speaker 4 (01:47:45):
Only one of you, okay, you only have one brain
in your head operating one thing at a time. Even
people are extremely good multitaskers. It has been studied the
human brain cannot concentrate on two things at once. It's impossible.
You're you're either paying attention to this or that.

Speaker 3 (01:48:04):
There's no both. And so with that.

Speaker 4 (01:48:08):
Said, along the while of having all this success in
the postseason, along the while of putting up, you know,
video game numbers in the NFC Championship Game, there was
time being committed to putting together a deck, putting together
a presentation, maybe having employing the help of his wife

(01:48:30):
or family members, or you know, hiring a consultancy firm,
a consultant to come in with him and help him
practice for the job, interview or whatever preparation that Kellen
Moore put into the effort of interviewing to become the
next head coach of the New Orleans Saints. And you
may be laughing at me, listening to me right now, saying, oh,

(01:48:52):
how much effort did you have to put into this
interview with the Saints? The Saints stink. It's like, yeah, yea,
but hang on, time out, time out, time out. So
did the Detroit Lions. And Dan Campbell has completely changed
the fortunes of that franchise. And Dan Campbell was one
of those guys who there wasn't a lot of hope
or faith amongst the Detroit Lions, faithful that he was

(01:49:14):
going to be the guy to turn it around.

Speaker 3 (01:49:15):
And there's only thirty two of these jobs.

Speaker 4 (01:49:18):
So trust me when I tell you Kellen Moore took
this opportunity extremely seriously and he wanted this job. And
so if you have an offensive coordinator designating any time
to getting his next job instead of concentrating on his
current job, it has an impact. I don't know how

(01:49:38):
great of an impact, but you cannot convince me that
it doesn't have an impact.

Speaker 2 (01:49:43):
Well, especially for a guy that has been talked about
as a future head coach in this league for a while. Yep,
and now he's going to finally get this opportunity. Very
similar to the Kevin O'Connell situation. Right, We've been talking
about Kevin O'Connell for several years and then he finally
got the the opportunity.

Speaker 1 (01:50:00):
That's the way it's going to be with Kellen Moore,
by the way, good luck in New Orleans. Yeah, there's
a lot of work, but there were a lot of
guys that backed off that job. They're like, yeah, no,
not quite going there. All right, I want to break
a little early because on the other side, I'm going
to break down one of the more popular prop bets

(01:50:21):
for the Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (01:50:22):
And I got some interesting numbers that could put some
cash in your pocket. Okay, I got I got some
I got some numbers that could help our listeners put
some cash in their pockets. This is Fox Football Sunday,
Steve Harbin, Rich Hornberger here Fox Football Sunday live from

(01:50:43):
the Tirak dot Com studios, less than three hours away
from kickoff. All right before the kickoff, of course, one
thing that is going to happen and has happened at
every single Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (01:50:55):
Is the Puppy Bowl.

Speaker 4 (01:50:57):
And I'll tell you right now there was a terrier
who looked like he was limping a little bit.

Speaker 1 (01:51:01):
And we'll get to the Puppy Bowl later, all right, now,
it would be the singing of the national anthem. John
Batiste is going to be singing the anthem this year.
That's and immensely talented. I mean, this guy, I mean,
what can he do?

Speaker 3 (01:51:16):
Right?

Speaker 4 (01:51:18):
He is the band leader on Colbert But a new
Orleans native. And he is, I mean, he is one
of the more talented musicians of our time.

Speaker 3 (01:51:30):
He's incredible.

Speaker 1 (01:51:31):
Watching him play the piano is crazy. The guy's got
fingers that are like three miles long. It's crazy. Anyway,
So I did a little research on this.

Speaker 2 (01:51:39):
The over under, which is a very popular prop bet
for John Baptiste in this anthem, is one hundred and
twenty point five seconds. In other words, two minutes on
the dot plus half a second, so one twenty point
five The shortest rendition ready for this, this is incredible.
The shortest rendition ever of the Super Bowl in times

(01:52:01):
of time was Neil Diamond in nineteen eighty seven. He
sang it in sixty two seconds. Whoa now, And now
think about this now when you like, like if you
hear the anthem at a high school, get you know,
one of the just your standard anthem at a sporting event.

Speaker 1 (01:52:17):
People don't know this. It goes about eighty eighty five seconds.

Speaker 3 (01:52:23):
That's right. Yeah, typically around it it's and a.

Speaker 2 (01:52:26):
Half yeah, even less than that, but a little bit
like that is but we understand obviously on a stage
like the super Bowl may go a little longer. But yeah, somehow,
Neil Diamond came in at sixty two seconds, the longest.

Speaker 1 (01:52:40):
Rendition of all time.

Speaker 2 (01:52:41):
Alicia Keys in twenty thirteen a staggering one hundred and
fifty six seconds, two minutes and thirty six seconds. She
obliterated the over under that year. So what will John
Bettis do now? He has had he has sang the
anthem at many sporting events over the year, and it's
a bit of a mixed bag in terms of that

(01:53:02):
two minute mark. But keep this in mind, seven of
the last eleven Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (01:53:10):
Anthems sung have gone over two minutes.

Speaker 2 (01:53:14):
Okay, and again the over onner here is two minutes
and half a second, one hundred and twenty and a
half seconds.

Speaker 1 (01:53:20):
Well, you mentioned right off the bat here he's a
native of New Orleans, that's right. I mean this is
his home performance.

Speaker 2 (01:53:29):
I mean I've seen him do the anthem where he's
on the piano and he's doing before he even starts singing,
he does like a twenty second piano intro that's off
the charts, right, just to get everybody sort of warmed up.

Speaker 1 (01:53:46):
That's before he has sung a single note.

Speaker 3 (01:53:48):
Yep. So if you're looking for.

Speaker 1 (01:53:53):
A play on the National Anthem.

Speaker 2 (01:53:57):
With everything I've told you.

Speaker 1 (01:54:01):
You gotta go over.

Speaker 3 (01:54:03):
You have to.

Speaker 1 (01:54:04):
I mean again, he's at home. It's not going to
be crazy, it's not gonna be a Leica Keys and
not gonna go two and a half minutes. But the
idea that he has just a little hometown forever because
they ever will loves this guy, but they especially love
him in New Orleans. They want a show from John
Baptiste and he knows that I'm going to give him that.

Speaker 2 (01:54:25):
So if you want to safe play today, in my opinion,
and of course everyone's like, I'm running to bet against
Hartman's unreal.

Speaker 1 (01:54:33):
He will say this and then I will go against it.
Do so at your own risk. But I'm giving I'm
giving you the numbers here, and it tells me that
Batist is going to go over in terms of the
one hundred and twenty point five second over under for
the National Anthem.

Speaker 4 (01:54:52):
Your thoughts, okay, if if it, if it changes the
math for anybody out there listening, because tip I would
agree bet against Hartman at every single step of the way.

Speaker 3 (01:55:06):
I to think that this is going to go over.

Speaker 4 (01:55:10):
I think that the hometown guy, the prodigal Sun returning
to New Orleans the super Dome, which is more than
a stadium to folks who live around there for obvious reasons.
It hows so many people who were Katrina refugees before
the Saints made good on the promise with Peyton and
Breeze bringing a super Bowl to that city that really

(01:55:33):
like football is baked into the culture of that of
that society, and I know that John Baptiste feels similar
to it, or feels similar about it, and so I
think he's going to take this opportunity to really bask
and bathe in the spotlight and really make sure that
everybody out there feels like their roots have been appropriately

(01:55:57):
honored during his portrayal of the super Bowl or the
national anthem at the super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (01:56:03):
I think it goes over one hundred and twenty and
a half minutes.

Speaker 1 (01:56:05):
By the way, under twenty and a half seconds, the
way the song was actually written, at the pace it
was intentioned intentionally to be sung at. They say the
song should be seventy nine seconds. That's a minute nineteen.

Speaker 3 (01:56:20):
Okay, that makes sense.

Speaker 2 (01:56:21):
That that's why I look at that Neil Diamond sixty
two seconds.

Speaker 1 (01:56:25):
That is that is ue real.

Speaker 3 (01:56:27):
He was cruising.

Speaker 2 (01:56:28):
Sixty two seconds at a song this you know, pretty
good pace song the way it was intentionally written at
seventy ninths at sixty two seconds for Neil Diamond, just
cooking the lock. He was like, let's get some football in,
get me off the veil, let's get into the football game.
But yeah, John Bautiste in front of the home crowd
in New Orleans.

Speaker 3 (01:56:49):
I mean, he's.

Speaker 2 (01:56:51):
Phenomenal and like I said, I was watching a number
of his He's actually come in under two minutes.

Speaker 1 (01:56:57):
I saw I think one time he came in at
a minute forty nine. But not the super Bowl. Not
the super Bowl, no way, not no chance. So again,
just trying to help you out there as far some
of these promp bets are concerned. We'll get into a few.
Do you have any I mean, I know you've been
on your gambling shows.

Speaker 2 (01:57:15):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, did you have any prop specials?

Speaker 3 (01:57:20):
I did?

Speaker 4 (01:57:20):
I think one of the you know what, actually, do
you want me to give it to you now?

Speaker 2 (01:57:24):
Or on the other side, because there you know, when
we talk about individuals, you know, like you know yards
or who's.

Speaker 1 (01:57:33):
Going to score, like who's going to score first?

Speaker 3 (01:57:35):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (01:57:36):
Yeah, all these kind of different prop bets.

Speaker 4 (01:57:38):
They're fun, right, oh, absolutely, And there's great edges that
you can find, and it's just about thinking about how
you think the game plan is going to go for
both these teams, and then then you could really become
supportive of some of these prop bets.

Speaker 2 (01:57:51):
Let me ask you this though, because in advance, because
you know these bets like these are available all at
every game obviously, you know, and you talk about you know,
over under, in yards touching, all that kind of stuff.
But because it's the Super Bowl, does the Super Bowl
create a different dynamic when you talk about these prop bets?

Speaker 3 (01:58:12):
I think so. I think so.

Speaker 4 (01:58:14):
They're like, for example, for our Saturday morning show Countdown,
we had Seamus McGee on, who works with Ben mgm.
He says, we have over one thousand prop bets on
just this game alone.

Speaker 1 (01:58:28):
It's unbelievable. Yeah, I mean it's like, what prop bet
have you not thought of?

Speaker 3 (01:58:32):
Right?

Speaker 1 (01:58:32):
I mean, how many differing kind of prop bets can
you actually come up with? These different ways? It's like
how many ways can you prepare wings for a Super
Bowl sending?

Speaker 4 (01:58:45):
I mean we could spend the rest of the show
on that.

Speaker 3 (01:58:49):
My friend there is absolutely.

Speaker 1 (01:58:51):
Are you making your own wings or you're bringing them in.

Speaker 4 (01:58:54):
We're I'm not cooking the wings from scratch, but I'm
using my own sauce.

Speaker 2 (01:58:58):
Ah, we'll get into that as well. All Right, folks,
it's not that far away. We're gonna be with you
every step of the way, leading you.

Speaker 1 (01:59:05):
Up to kick.

Speaker 3 (01:59:06):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (01:59:07):
This is Fox Football Sunday, two and a half hours away.

Speaker 1 (01:59:12):
Two and a half hours away. Ain't getting close now right,
It's getting a little bit closer here, So get ready
for Super Bowl fifty nine between the Eagles and the Chiefs.
We're broadcasting live from the tire rack dot Com studios.
Tire rack dot Com.

Speaker 2 (01:59:25):
We're gonna help get you there and now Matt Selection,
fast ree shipping, free road hats, a protection over ten
thousand recommended installers, tire rack dot com the way tire
buying should be. I'm gonna give you two coaches' names, okay,
Joe Gibbs, who's a Hall of Famer, and Mike Tomlin.

(01:59:49):
I think we both agree that Mike Tomlin will someday
be in the Hall of Fame as well.

Speaker 1 (01:59:52):
Yeah, I'd agree with that, Okay. So one guy who's
in the Hall of Fame and one guy who's going
to be in the Hall of Fame. So I'm gonna
give you another name.

Speaker 2 (02:00:03):
And if those two guys are Hall of Famers, this
guy has to be a Hall of Famer, and that's
Nick Sirianni. Because before Nick Siriani, the only two coaches
to go to the Super Bowl twice in their first
four seasons as a coach are Joe Gibbs and Mike Tomlin,
and now Nick Sirianni. So hall of Fame will be

(02:00:26):
Hall of Fame and future Hall of Famer Nick Siriani. Yeah,
I mean, I want to before we get to all
these propats, because I want to hear all these things.
But Nick Siriani, I mean, his initial press conference was
mocked by everybody as just completely off the charts. And

(02:00:50):
this guy's in his second Super Bowl in three years.
And we thought at the end of last year that
he completely lost this team, that they I mean, they
went into such a dramatic free fall, capped off by
a blowout loss of the Buccaneers in the playoffs. We
were even talking on air like can he get this

(02:01:12):
team back? Well, not only did he get him back,
they're in the Super Bowl, you know, Nick Sirianni.

Speaker 3 (02:01:20):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (02:01:20):
So my question to you is where do we go
win or lose today? Where are we going with this?
Nick Sirianni, run in Philadelphia.

Speaker 4 (02:01:32):
Well, you gotta win a Super Bowl to be considered
for a Hall of Fame as a head coach.

Speaker 3 (02:01:36):
Not all. I mean, it's hard to make the Hall
if you don't want to.

Speaker 1 (02:01:40):
Corriel never got to a Super Bowl and he's.

Speaker 3 (02:01:42):
In the Hall. How long were the waits? Long? Wait?

Speaker 1 (02:01:46):
Long way?

Speaker 3 (02:01:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:01:47):
Yeah, And so I'm saying, by the way, can I
make a quick here of all the emissions everyone's talking about?

Speaker 1 (02:01:53):
You know, Eli Manning, Forget Eli man He was never
seriously considered. He was out in the first cut. But
the one guy I could not believe did make it
was Mike Holmgren.

Speaker 3 (02:02:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:02:03):
I mean you're telling me Bill Cowers a Hall of Famer,
but Mike.

Speaker 1 (02:02:06):
Holmgren is not.

Speaker 2 (02:02:08):
I mean, I just I was stunned, yep, that Mike
Holmgren did not get the votes to get into the
Hall of Fame.

Speaker 1 (02:02:18):
That made me was the absolute like, why, let me ask.

Speaker 4 (02:02:21):
You this question is is Marv leva Hall of Famer?

Speaker 1 (02:02:26):
Well, he's in the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 3 (02:02:27):
Is he How long did it take for him to
get in?

Speaker 1 (02:02:30):
Not that long?

Speaker 3 (02:02:31):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (02:02:31):
And by the way, another guy that lost four super
Bowls and one Nune right is but Grant, he's in
the Hall of Fame as well.

Speaker 1 (02:02:38):
Now, another guy that won lost four Super Bowls and
never won is Dan Reeves and and he's never come close.

Speaker 4 (02:02:44):
So my point is it's it's obviously a mixed bag,
but getting to four super Bowls and losing is very
different than getting to two Super Bowls and potentially losing,
right right.

Speaker 1 (02:02:58):
You know, So I Sirianni wins, if.

Speaker 4 (02:03:01):
He wins, all of a sudden, he has to be
considered because, like you said, in his very young head
coaching career, he's guided two teams to the Super Bowl.
He has guided uh ah, was it three teams into
the postseason. He's He's the type of coach who's come
in and really take their I mean.

Speaker 2 (02:03:20):
Do you believe five years from now, Nick Sirianni will
still be the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Speaker 4 (02:03:26):
It's hard for me to believe that because of what
they did. It's and it's not because of Nick Sirianni.
It's because of what they did with Doug Peterson.

Speaker 2 (02:03:34):
Exactly I I it have won a Super Bowl exactly
like so it.

Speaker 3 (02:03:38):
Has less to do with Nick Sirianni than that.

Speaker 2 (02:03:42):
But things went off the rails with Peterson there they did.

Speaker 1 (02:03:45):
I mean, it wasn't like you know, people are.

Speaker 2 (02:03:48):
Like shocked that he got let go because things had
fallen off. Do you think that Sirianni will suffer the
same fate as Doug Peterson.

Speaker 4 (02:03:56):
I personally don't. I would let's put it this way,
I would handicap it at what do you called the
odds on the fact that he would not be with
the Eagles instead of being with the Eagles, I would
put the I would put the odds on him being

(02:04:16):
fired sometimes sometime over the next five years, win or
lose this Super Bowl. Then I would for him to
keep his job, because again, it's nothing about what Nick
Sirianni's doing. It's about the Eagles franchise.

Speaker 2 (02:04:28):
Okay, if I put the over under it three and
a half years remaining as the Eagles head coach, you
would take the over or under three and a half years.

Speaker 3 (02:04:37):
I would take remaining the head coach.

Speaker 1 (02:04:40):
Yes, from this point forward, the over under is three
I'll ask these guys as well. Bo Chris, I want
to get you on this.

Speaker 2 (02:04:48):
The over under on Sirianni remaining the coach of the
Eagles is three and a half years. That's the over under.
Three and a half years after this Super Bowl, you're
going a loss like over over over three and a
half years over under under.

Speaker 4 (02:05:06):
Yeah, I too will take the under because unfortunately in
the NFL, how many coaches end up being with the
same team for seven and a half season.

Speaker 9 (02:05:16):
Not only that, where you're talking about the Eagles who
have a Super Bowl winning coach who they fired within
three years after winning that Super Bowl, I mean really
went south on Peterson when he got Okay, and we
might question how unhappy Eagles fans were at at an
eleven season last year. Yeah, I understand that, but that's
my question. Do you believe Sirianni will suffer the same

(02:05:36):
fate as Doug Peterson in Philadelphia?

Speaker 3 (02:05:39):
All right?

Speaker 1 (02:05:39):
Good stuff?

Speaker 2 (02:05:40):
All right, let's uh, let's get to some of these
prop bets. So when you're when you're doing because you
do these every week.

Speaker 1 (02:05:47):
Obviously, yeah, rich and you know, you you win a few,
you lose a few. We get there, of course, but
when you're taking on prop bets for the Super Bowl,
are you looking through a different lens than a regular
season game.

Speaker 3 (02:06:01):
Yeah, because, and you kind of have to. And here's
the reason why.

Speaker 4 (02:06:06):
Because you have to realize that the gauntlet these teams
have been through and the weight that they've been through
to get to this game can change certain things. I mean,
at the end of the day, it is football, but
you have a lot more time to think about game
planning and what you're going to see.

Speaker 3 (02:06:23):
So as a result, and by the way, your whole focus.

Speaker 4 (02:06:27):
Is on this one game if you're only a football
better whereas your your mind is being spread thin throughout
the course of the regular season or the postseason, because
there's a lot of different inputs. But when I really
sat down and I thought about this game, one of
the things that sticks out in my mind is if
I'm Vic Fangio, the only way that I'm going to

(02:06:48):
feel proud being carried home on my shield from New Orleans.
If we lose this game and I'm going to return
home a loser, the only way I'm going to feel
comfortable doing that. If Saquan has the worst game of
his life. We have to limit the damage that Saquon
Barkley does to us, because that is a sure fire

(02:07:09):
way for us to lose this game. If you allow
Saquon to go off in the rushing or receiving game.

Speaker 3 (02:07:16):
You will lose.

Speaker 4 (02:07:17):
Now, if you stop Saquon and you get beat because
Jalen Hurts torches you, that's a whole different story. I
would feel a lot more comfortable going home a loser
knowing that we put the game on Jaialen Hurts and
he found a way to beat us, as opposed to
we tried to stop everything, or we tried to stop
Jalen Hurts and we let Saquon eat and we lost

(02:07:38):
that way. So I think Saquon is gonna have a long,
hard day at the office. And he has a prop
at one hundred and twenty seven and a half receiving
en rushing yards combined.

Speaker 1 (02:07:47):
That's a big number.

Speaker 3 (02:07:49):
I'm taking the under. I'm taking that the.

Speaker 1 (02:07:52):
Rushing yards were one hundred and thirteen and a half.

Speaker 3 (02:07:55):
Yep, over under, I'm taking the under.

Speaker 2 (02:07:58):
Wow, that's a big numb against the team that hasn't
given up a single hundred yard rusher the entire year.

Speaker 4 (02:08:04):
Now he's eclipsed that in his past five performances.

Speaker 3 (02:08:07):
He's on like an all time tear right now.

Speaker 4 (02:08:10):
But I'm also concerned about the calf injury with Saquon Barkley.
We discussed this earlier that showed up in the NFC
Championship game. There hasn't been a lot of talk about it,
but so I'm going to take the under on the
combined rushing and receiving yards total. Now, this is a
minus bet, so it's like minus one fifteen something like that.

Speaker 3 (02:08:29):
Last I looked at it. So you're not.

Speaker 4 (02:08:31):
Gonna make all your dollars back, but you're gonna make some.
You know, you post one hundred, you make what eighty
five on that bet? That's pretty good. Here's the deal,
because I feel that way about Saquon. I think that
game Well is going to get more touches than normally.
Right now, he's at half a yard receiving and you

(02:08:51):
could get plus money if you take the over. I'm
taking the over on Kenneth Gainwell. I think he's gonna
be involved in the game plan. I don't know how much,
but I think he's going to catch one pass for
more than for more than a yard. So I think
Kenneth Gamewell with the half yard receiving over feels right,
and then I'll give you another one DeAndre Hopkins, another
minus money bet, but still a good one.

Speaker 3 (02:09:13):
Twelve and a half receiving yards. I think that much.

Speaker 4 (02:09:17):
To your point earlier in the show, Steve, if DeAndre
Hoppy or excuse me, if if I'm the Philadelphia Eagles,
my goal is going to be to stop Travis Kelce
in the red zone.

Speaker 3 (02:09:27):
I don't think the Eagles are going to be able.

Speaker 4 (02:09:29):
To keep the Chiefs out of the redn zone, and
I don't think they're going to be able to keep
the Chiefs out of the end zone all game long.
Give me DeAndre Hopkins over the twelve and a half
receiving yards.

Speaker 3 (02:09:41):
I think he's going to cast out.

Speaker 4 (02:09:42):
I don't know if that necessarily means he scores a
touchdown or not, but I think he's going to be
looked to, especially as a big target in the red zone.

Speaker 2 (02:09:51):
All right, So another prop bet, going back to Barkley.
This one is this one is a tough one.

Speaker 1 (02:09:58):
So we talk about over under as far as his
rushing yards or you know, combined rushing receiving yards, but
quarterbacks first quarter, so this guy traditionally is like a
lot of the great running backs. They build up momentum
over the course of the game.

Speaker 2 (02:10:13):
And if you watch the Eagles last game, they came
out throwing the football and except for Barkley, had his
first carry for sixty yards. It's like, so the over
under on the first quarter rushing yards for Barkley is
twenty seven and a half. He actually averages less than that,
around twenty three to twenty four yards. So how do

(02:10:37):
you see the Eagles plan of attack on their first,
perhaps second drive.

Speaker 1 (02:10:44):
In that first quarter against the Chiefs?

Speaker 2 (02:10:46):
Is what is going to I mean because every team
scripts what first fifteen plays, right, Yeah, how do you
think that script reads for Kellen Moore and the Eagles
offense to start this game?

Speaker 4 (02:10:58):
I think this the script if he's smart for Kellen
Moore is to establish his pass catchers early, but do
it close to the line of scrimmage. I don't think
you should necessarily test the deep part of the field early.
I also think you need to implement the run. If
Saquon Barkley is healthy, you do not shy away from

(02:11:22):
what got you to this point of the season. So
whatever your best run play against the Chiefs base defense
or whatever. You know, if you use a formation that
puts them in an advantageous look, you run that rushing
play and you run it, and you run it and
run it and you run it until they find a
way to stop it. Now, I'm not saying repeat the plays,

(02:11:42):
but mix it up. Run and pass, but keep the
passes close to the line of scrimmage. So you could
get aj Brown in early touch, so you could get
Devonte Smith in early touch. So you could get Dallas
Goddard an early touch, you know what I mean. So
you can get your pass catchers involved. They're not going
to be streaking down the field with the football. You're

(02:12:02):
not going to see an explosive you know, play where
the ball travels thirty yards in the air. But you
just you pepper the Chiefs defense and you hit him
with that run game that has carried you through the postseason.

Speaker 1 (02:12:15):
All right.

Speaker 2 (02:12:15):
On the other side, we can get to a few
more prop bets as we get ready for all the
fun today with the big game between the Chiefs and
the Eagles. This is Fox Football Sunday.

Speaker 1 (02:12:24):
Steve Hartman and or Rich Armburger Fox Football Sunday.

Speaker 2 (02:12:29):
We are live from the Tirak dot com studios. So
a big part of the Super Bowl experience are these
prop bets. Before we get to some of your favorites,
I want to ask you about Travis Kelcey. So, as

(02:12:50):
you know, Kelsey, at least by his terms, had a
below par year. Yeah, and then they had the playoff
game against Houston. Seven catches, one hundred and seventeen yards
and a touchdown. They're like, Wow, he's back. But even
though the Chiefs had thirty two points, which by the

(02:13:12):
way was their first game this year where they had
more than thirty points, two catches nineteen yards, So he
wasn't a big part of that win against Buffalo. What
is your guess, because you know, when you see a
popular name like Kelsey, he got all the prop bads,
This catches yards, will he score a touchdown? All that
kind of stuff. Do you envision Kelsey having the kind

(02:13:37):
of game where he's going to be an over or
underguy today?

Speaker 4 (02:13:42):
I feel like Travis Kelcey is gonna be an over
because look this, I'm not saying what he said was untrue.
I do think that he has plans to play beyond this.
But if the Chiefs three Pete and he has won
four Super Bowls with the Kansas City Chiefs. I mean,

(02:14:06):
does he come back?

Speaker 3 (02:14:08):
You know?

Speaker 4 (02:14:08):
So I sort of feel like there's a not a
complete sense that the party's over or ending soon, but
there may be in the back of certain minds around
the organization like this really may be the last time.
Travis Kelsey is a contributor to our success here in
Kansas City. And I think they're gonna game plan because

(02:14:29):
he's so experienced. He's been around the block so often
with Patrick Mahomes and in these big moments, and he's
shined in these big moments so many times. I can't
imagine him going under the numbers. So I would take
those over there.

Speaker 1 (02:14:42):
I agree with you as far as him if they win,
hanging it up.

Speaker 2 (02:14:46):
And I think part of it is just looking at
the commercial success that his brother Jason has had.

Speaker 1 (02:14:52):
Jason Kelsey is literally on every commercial on television. I mean,
it's unreal.

Speaker 2 (02:14:57):
I have never seen an athlete, no matter how how
famous they were, get more commercial time than Jason Kelcey
has gotten this first year after retiring from the NFL, ever,
no matter how famous they were, and Travis is like,
wait a second, that could be me.

Speaker 1 (02:15:12):
I mean, my brother's having the time of his life
right now.

Speaker 3 (02:15:16):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (02:15:17):
You know, he's a locked first ballot Hall of Famer.
He hasn't there's nothing on his resume that needs to
be added. So it's like, let me have some fun
like my brother's been having.

Speaker 3 (02:15:27):
Wow. I just think that.

Speaker 4 (02:15:32):
I feel like Travis Kelcey is the type of guy
who will say all.

Speaker 3 (02:15:36):
The right things at the right times.

Speaker 4 (02:15:38):
Like for example, when he was asked directly, hey, is
this going to be your last game? He said, I
could see myself playing for another whole season after this,
you know what I mean, maybe another two however he
answered it. But I think the reason why he answered
it that way was I one hundred percent don't want
to be a distraction.

Speaker 3 (02:15:58):
You can always change your mind. They gonna do.

Speaker 4 (02:16:00):
Say, oh my goodness, Travis kelce the liar, because he
told us before Super Bowl fifty nine that this definitely
wouldn't be his last game, that he's interested in playing more,
and he lied to us.

Speaker 2 (02:16:11):
Well, don't forget, grond came out of retirement after sitting
out a year.

Speaker 4 (02:16:14):
And that's true too, Like just because it's over, it
doesn't always mean it's over, so you could change your
mind afterward.

Speaker 3 (02:16:21):
Also, I just feel like this.

Speaker 4 (02:16:22):
I feel like if you win three in a row
and you think about your your life's trajectory after football
looking about as good as anybody's ever has. Like you said,
his brother Jason a superstar. His stardom really, I mean
definitely manufactured in his own right. He's a tremendous player,

(02:16:44):
but was bolstered by his brothers. Travis's fame because of
him dating Taylor Swift and becoming a global celebrity. So yeah,
I could very easily see the Chiefs employing a little
bit more Travis Kelcey in their strip than they would normally,
because this may be the last Hurrah many ways.

Speaker 1 (02:17:05):
All right, quick side, no answer question to this?

Speaker 3 (02:17:07):
All right? Right?

Speaker 2 (02:17:09):
At their peak? Who would you take? Gronk or Kelsey Bronk?

Speaker 1 (02:17:14):
Okay? I just want to know that.

Speaker 2 (02:17:15):
Yeah, all right, So give us a couple more prop bets.
What else he got out there?

Speaker 3 (02:17:19):
All right? How about gatorade color? Oh?

Speaker 1 (02:17:22):
Yes, gatorade color is a very popular prop bet every
single year.

Speaker 2 (02:17:30):
Is there ever a chance that a coach could win
a Super Bowl and not get dunked in Gator raye.

Speaker 4 (02:17:35):
No, I mean, yeah, it could be water, and that's
always you Well, I shouldn't say it's always been many times.

Speaker 3 (02:17:41):
If there's a book out there, I.

Speaker 2 (02:17:42):
Mean, is there a possib When is the last time
we had a Super Bowl winning coach that was not
doused with gator raye? I mean, as it happened every
year since it started with Parcels. No it hasn't. I mean,
I can't the Giants. I was actually working that Super
Bowl super Bowl twenty one when Parsales got dunked by
Harry Carson after the game, when the Giants won their

(02:18:05):
first Super Bowl. I was working for the NFL when
I was worked with the Raiders back in the day
at the Rose Bowl.

Speaker 1 (02:18:10):
I'm trying to think it.

Speaker 3 (02:18:11):
Bo.

Speaker 1 (02:18:12):
Can you find out anything the last time that a
Super Bowl winning coach was not doused with a gatorade?

Speaker 8 (02:18:20):
Well, okay, per Reddit, it looks like when the Patriots
won against the Falcons. Yes, it looks like Belichick was
not dowsing gator.

Speaker 1 (02:18:31):
That was an overtime game, so everything sort of happened quick. Yes, maybe,
but last year was an overtime game.

Speaker 3 (02:18:38):
All right, You want to hear another kid.

Speaker 9 (02:18:39):
Also that that fal that Falcons Patriots game? Where was
that again? Was that in Jersey?

Speaker 4 (02:18:45):
No?

Speaker 3 (02:18:46):
Wait?

Speaker 4 (02:18:46):
Was that the New York No, it wasn't New York.
That was in a dome, and I can't remember where
it was either.

Speaker 8 (02:18:51):
Was that Atlanta?

Speaker 1 (02:18:52):
That couldn't have been Atlanta.

Speaker 3 (02:18:54):
No, it might have been Tampa.

Speaker 1 (02:18:56):
Wasn't Tampa.

Speaker 3 (02:18:57):
Weren't you covering that?

Speaker 1 (02:18:59):
No?

Speaker 3 (02:18:59):
I was. I wasn't at that one. I wasn't at
that one.

Speaker 9 (02:19:02):
That one might have been in New Orleans because I'm
just thinking, I was thinking, maybe you just don't dump.

Speaker 4 (02:19:06):
The Okay, Yeah, yeah, And You're absolutely right, Steve, I
was covering that one.

Speaker 1 (02:19:12):
I know you were.

Speaker 3 (02:19:13):
Yeah, I was.

Speaker 1 (02:19:13):
I know I wasn't, but I know you were.

Speaker 4 (02:19:17):
I was in Houston that whole week and the reason
why I couldn't remember being there is because I was
back watching the Super Bowl in San Diego that weekend.

Speaker 3 (02:19:24):
But okay, let me ask you this question. Let me
ask you this question. So Tom Brady's tie color for
the broadcast?

Speaker 1 (02:19:32):
Well, wait a second, you haven't given us the answer
to the Gatorade one.

Speaker 4 (02:19:35):
Well, if I'm gonna guess, Okay, I I hate to
say this because this seems but controversial and I don't
know why, but the best flavor of Gatorade is blue.

Speaker 3 (02:19:46):
So I mean, if we're just going.

Speaker 4 (02:19:48):
To guess which essentially we have to, I mean, it's blue.

Speaker 9 (02:19:52):
Gatorade, Hold on blue? Are we talking like blue, raspberry
or glacier freeze?

Speaker 4 (02:19:58):
Well, blue is blue into terms of the betting market.
But if we're talking if we want to get specific glacier.

Speaker 2 (02:20:03):
Freeze, okay, that's just fun to make sure, Okay, I
mean that is you don't believe the lemon line the
traditional original colors in the play.

Speaker 3 (02:20:11):
I don't.

Speaker 4 (02:20:12):
I Well again, if now, if you want me to
do a little Twitter sleuth thing to see if there's
any info that's starting to trickle out about Gatorade colors, like,
for example, there are certain teams that they use one
color more than the other.

Speaker 9 (02:20:27):
Well, wait a second, they keeps showing on it, keep
showing on TV a replay of Andy Reid getting dust
and it's always purple.

Speaker 8 (02:20:33):
Yeah, that's a Your pick is basically determined, like who
you think is gonna win the game?

Speaker 1 (02:20:37):
So, well, color did Peterson get?

Speaker 8 (02:20:39):
I'm going yellow?

Speaker 1 (02:20:41):
Yellow? Okay?

Speaker 3 (02:20:42):
All right?

Speaker 2 (02:20:43):
So the color the tie? Oh, well, hang on to that.
Hang on, let's uh, let's first find out what is.

Speaker 6 (02:20:52):
Tran Yes, so many things trendy.

Speaker 1 (02:20:57):
It's okay. I didn't want to. I didn't want to
interrupt you in direct Wait, not like.

Speaker 2 (02:21:01):
You're watching some busy scoreboard right now, No, not at all.

Speaker 7 (02:21:05):
No, no, no, what are you talking about. We're all waiting
for Super Bowl fifty nine. That's what we're all waiting for.

Speaker 10 (02:21:10):
Kickoff at six thirty Eastern time.

Speaker 6 (02:21:12):
Will the Chiefs make history becoming the first team to
win three consecutive Super Bowls as they take on the
Philadelphia Eagles, with Patrick Mahomes arriving in a green suit
looking fly.

Speaker 1 (02:21:24):
Yeah you fly?

Speaker 7 (02:21:25):
Yeah, No, I know, I know.

Speaker 6 (02:21:27):
We mentioned that there will be history today because Saquon
Barkley and Cooper de Jon have their birthdays today.

Speaker 7 (02:21:34):
No player has ever played in a Super Bowl on
their exact birthday, and today we have two Eagles doing that.
So that's exciting.

Speaker 6 (02:21:41):
Not exciting for Aaron Rodgers because he's been informed by
the Jets that they're going to be moving on from him.
While the San Francisco forty nine ers have granted star
receiver Deebo Samuel and his agent permission to seek a trade.
In the NBA, the Lakers Jazz game is going to
be broadcasted on ESPN now on Monday, amid Luca Dncsh's
expected day.

Speaker 7 (02:22:00):
We'll see what happens. Right now. In the NBA, the
Bucks are.

Speaker 6 (02:22:03):
Still on top of the seventy six ers coming down
to the final thirty seconds. But Bucks are on top
one thirty five, one twenty seven. Damian Lillard forty three points,
eight rebounds, eight assists.

Speaker 7 (02:22:12):
No Jannis Sante Tecumpo.

Speaker 6 (02:22:13):
He's actually going to be sidelined for the next week
or so because of a mild cap strain. He will
be missing the NBA All Star Game next Sunday, So
obviously Clippers Norman Powell should go in. Oh, that's a
separate conversation. The Raptors are losing to the Rockets ninety
four to eighty seven, also down to the final thirty seconds,
and the Pistons defeated the Hornets one twelve to one
h two. Kate Cunningham for Detroit had a triple double

(02:22:35):
in the win. In women's college hoops, UCLA undefeated right now.

Speaker 7 (02:22:40):
They are playing Oregon nineteen eleven.

Speaker 6 (02:22:42):
They're on top with about seven minutes to go in
the first half, while the number two team in the country,
South Carolina just lost to number four Texas sixty six
to sixty two, second loss of the season, first one
in their conference that they've lost in a.

Speaker 7 (02:22:55):
Couple of years.

Speaker 6 (02:22:56):
So South Carolina just lost. In men's college hoops, only
two games today, no upsets. Number seventeen Months defeated Temple
ninety eighty two, and number eighteen Maryland took down.

Speaker 7 (02:23:05):
Rutgers ninety to eighty one.

Speaker 2 (02:23:07):
All right, getting closer, getty closer, right two hours away,
two hours away, mont see, very very good. I'm surprised
there was a more play rich with UCLA's went over
Penn State in basketball yesterday was a blowout victory for
the Bruins at Polly Pavilion.

Speaker 3 (02:23:25):
So I love you, I tell you.

Speaker 1 (02:23:27):
McK mccronin has done a hell of a job.

Speaker 2 (02:23:30):
By the way, the Superdome, this is their record eighth
Super Bowl. Of all the stadiums that have ever hosted
the Super Bowl, the Supernome has the most as far
as being the host city for a Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (02:23:47):
New Orleans is tied with Miami. Okay, so there were
three at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans before they actually
built the Superdome, and in.

Speaker 2 (02:23:59):
My Miami, five were at the old Orange Bowl and
six have been at what we now call the hard
Rocks Stadium there in Miami Gardens. So those are the
prominent sites for the Super Bowls.

Speaker 4 (02:24:12):
I have an update on gatorade color. Okay, so I
had said blue. That's my guess, right, Well, history likes
my guests, because over the past decade, blue has appeared
out of gatorade jugs poured onto winning head coaches four
of the ten times, and that is with a variety

(02:24:33):
of different teams, including the Patriots, the Bucks, the Rams,
the Patriots twice. Now orange has appeared twice. Kansas City
was one of those teams. But interestingly, over the past
two seasons, the Kansas City Chiefs back to back Super
Bowl champs. Both times Andy Reid was doused with purple gatory.

Speaker 1 (02:24:58):
There it is as a purple gatorade.

Speaker 4 (02:25:01):
So I mean, look, guys, that's it's pretty compelling. If
we're gonna be honest with each other here, that blue
is a good choice.

Speaker 3 (02:25:12):
But purple has been the choice over the past Super
Bowl victories.

Speaker 2 (02:25:16):
Okay, So yeah, and I don't think they're gonna break
with any tradition.

Speaker 3 (02:25:20):
There and then okay, I have more info for it.

Speaker 1 (02:25:23):
Okay, oh, right now, right now.

Speaker 4 (02:25:25):
The best odds you're gonna get on the board is none.
There's no gatorade bath at plus at plus fifteen hundred.

Speaker 3 (02:25:32):
Okay, so I wouldn't bet that.

Speaker 1 (02:25:33):
If I were you, I would not that. No, no, no, no.

Speaker 3 (02:25:36):
Clear gets you plus eight hundred and fifty. But that's
all great water back clear, Yeah, that's water.

Speaker 1 (02:25:42):
Well, there's clear Gatorade.

Speaker 3 (02:25:44):
There's clear gatorades. I mean, but you won't be able
to tell those flavors stink.

Speaker 4 (02:25:49):
Okay, Purple actually is the the the or I should
say it's it's the favorite right now at plus seventy
one seventy five. But I mean, you're not gonna get
as much value if you do go with my guess,
which is blue. And again, four times over the past
decade the most often used gatorade to pour out of
a jug on a winning head coach plus four fifty.

Speaker 1 (02:26:14):
That did New England use blue?

Speaker 4 (02:26:17):
New England used blue twice and it was the rams
in the bucks, Rams in the bucks.

Speaker 1 (02:26:24):
I mean, And again this is saying Kansas City.

Speaker 8 (02:26:27):
Twice with the purple Okay, okay, So what if the
Chiefs three peat and instead of gatorade, it's gravy that's
poured on and Reid.

Speaker 4 (02:26:34):
Yeah, right now, cheese or cheese or Hellman's mayonnaise.

Speaker 1 (02:26:41):
Now we're too far. Okay, that's for the Duke's Male Bowl.

Speaker 3 (02:26:43):
What about what about Thousand Islands? I love a little
Thousand Islands.

Speaker 9 (02:26:47):
On it is Kansas City, So what about some barbecue,
barbecue sauce.

Speaker 1 (02:26:52):
Yeah, casey barbecue.

Speaker 3 (02:26:54):
I think we've lost our minds.

Speaker 1 (02:26:56):
Yeah, we're in New Orleans.

Speaker 8 (02:26:58):
Are there any halftime show props?

Speaker 3 (02:27:00):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (02:27:01):
Yeah, actually there are here. I have Kendrick Lamar song list.
There's all sorts of props.

Speaker 1 (02:27:07):
So I heard I heard the over under on songs
is ten and a half.

Speaker 9 (02:27:11):
Oh yeah, okay, it's like a lot odds on not
like the not like us.

Speaker 3 (02:27:16):
Oh it's plus two hun he has to be.

Speaker 1 (02:27:18):
But again, does that mean umble in its entirety?

Speaker 9 (02:27:22):
Humble is minus Money's nobody does songs in their entiretyswer exactly.

Speaker 1 (02:27:26):
That's the point. That's why they do the over unner.
And Kendrick Lamar is ten and a half songs.

Speaker 4 (02:27:33):
Wow, that seems like a lot, right, Yeah, but then again,
like it's like a medley sometimes you're.

Speaker 3 (02:27:40):
Talking about a rap star.

Speaker 4 (02:27:41):
I could see a lot of interludes with guests coming
out there and so, like, you know how a lot
of his songs feature other performers. I could see them
burning through a bunch of guests and him burning through
a bunch of songs. So but but uh, let's see
not like us is plus two hundred, Squabble Up is

(02:28:02):
plus three hundred, Money Trees plus eight hundred.

Speaker 3 (02:28:06):
I mean we're getting into the value bets now.

Speaker 8 (02:28:08):
Yeah, I mean, you know, going back the last few shows,
like Rihanna did thirteen songs. Yeah, the other two average
about eleven. Yeah, it looks like the smallest was the
weekend and he did nine.

Speaker 1 (02:28:18):
Yeah, so that's why it's ten.

Speaker 3 (02:28:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:28:21):
How about this, I mean the prop bet is the
biggest is what is his first song performed?

Speaker 3 (02:28:25):
Okay, yeah, that's it. That's another one.

Speaker 4 (02:28:27):
How about this, ma'am Don't Kill My Vibe? That's at
plus seven hundred.

Speaker 8 (02:28:31):
I don't know if that's the name of the song.

Speaker 3 (02:28:33):
I've that's a lot of reading here. I do think the.

Speaker 8 (02:28:37):
Opening song is going to be All the Stars. I
think if I could bet money on that, I would
bet more.

Speaker 1 (02:28:42):
You can't bet on that, hope, you can't there all.

Speaker 4 (02:28:46):
The stars if you want, I mean, you want to
talk about value. If you're positive plus six thousand and.

Speaker 8 (02:28:53):
Six, Yeah, I think that's a I think that's a
great bet. If you're listening right now, if your name
is Jared Smith or something like that, and you want
to make another Super Bowl bet all the Stars for
the first song. It's good money right there.

Speaker 1 (02:29:05):
Right by the way. Quick reminder here right after our show,
the podcast is going up. I'm wanting people to let
that sink in.

Speaker 1 (02:29:25):
All right, so I will ask you another future prop
bet super Bowl prop bet.

Speaker 2 (02:29:30):
Okay over under super Bowls that Tom Brady will broadcast.
I'm gonna put the over under at including well, no,
not including today. I'm going to put it at today
two and a half under because he added a ten
year contract. Yes he does, so two and a half.

Speaker 1 (02:29:51):
Over under tom Brady being part of the Super Bowl broadcast.

Speaker 4 (02:29:59):
I'm gonna take the under, and I don't I don't
think it's because I don't think it's because he isn't
good at it. I don't think it is it's because
he doesn't serve out this entire contract. But I feel
like Tom Brady is going to become excellent at this
and he is going to move on to find the.

Speaker 3 (02:30:22):
Next thing, the next challenge, you know what I mean, because.

Speaker 4 (02:30:25):
He he stayed very long at the party as a
as a football player.

Speaker 1 (02:30:30):
Yeah, twenty two years and and.

Speaker 4 (02:30:33):
Obviously this game we're talking about broadcasting now it's a
very different game. You could you have much more longevity,
but I could. I could see him looking to phase
into a new journey, whether it being broadcast or another
journey altogether with his life after after this contract with Fox.

Speaker 3 (02:30:52):
So I'll take the under. Two and a half.

Speaker 1 (02:30:54):
Technically twenty three years. He played one game his first year.

Speaker 2 (02:30:57):
By the way, speaking of Tom Brady, because I want
to get to your tie on the other side of
when you.

Speaker 1 (02:31:03):
Get to that prop pet.

Speaker 2 (02:31:06):
So this was the first year that they actually released
not just the names, but the votes of all the
AP voters that voted for the season awards. Yeah, and
Tom Brady is an AP voter, And I'm like, doesn't

(02:31:27):
he own a team? How can he be a voter?
I understand as a member of the media, I get that,
but by the way, it seems like the league is
trying to bend more rules for Tom Brady in terms
of availability for him as a Fox broadcaster to the

(02:31:48):
teams and ignoring the fact that not only is he
owner of the Raiders, but by all accounts, he's calling
the shots right now for the Raiders's not like he's
some silent partner here. I mean like he is front
and center making decisions for the Raiders organization. How is
he allowed to vote for League A wars. Not that

(02:32:09):
the Raiders have any candidates at this point, but they might.
And now he's going to be given more access in
terms of availability to other players. I mean, if he
were if he has the ghost of Al Davis in
his ear, and Al Davis because Al used to talk
to players all the time on other teams all the time.

Speaker 1 (02:32:33):
You know, we do things.

Speaker 4 (02:32:34):
So the red is I'll bet you love to be
a Raider, right, he did this all the time, And
you talk about tampering. I think they just didn't enforce
the rules back in those days. They do now, or
at least for everyone.

Speaker 1 (02:32:46):
Don't you think that's a weird that Tom Brady is
given a vote for the AP Awards considering the role
he plays or the Raiders.

Speaker 4 (02:32:54):
Well, I guess less weird because he is a color
analyst on one of the major networks who carries football.
So I wouldn't I wouldn't say it's all that weird.
And also, remember it's a conglomeration of so many other
votes that his one vote, it doesn't carry any more

(02:33:17):
weight than people.

Speaker 3 (02:33:17):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:33:18):
Did you see how close the MVP vote was.

Speaker 3 (02:33:20):
It was close.

Speaker 1 (02:33:21):
And by the way, he voted for Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 4 (02:33:24):
Yeah, so I mean even then he voted for the
losing guy.

Speaker 1 (02:33:28):
Yeah he did.

Speaker 2 (02:33:28):
He He's on the wrong side of that, all right,
coming out on the other side. A few more prop bets,
including the tie that Tom Brady will be wearing in
his broadcasting debut at the Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (02:33:40):
This is Fox Football Sunday. Steve Harbin and Rich Harburger
Here Fox Football Sunday.

Speaker 2 (02:33:45):
We are live from the Tyraq dot Com studios. All right,
we're getting down the stretch here, guys. But let's see
here our forty five away yep, yep to kick off.

Speaker 1 (02:34:00):
Of the Super Bowl between the Eagles and the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (02:34:02):
So we're been running to some prop bets and once
again Super Bowl. Tom Brady can't separate the two. I mean,
think about it, ten super Bowls, ten, ten brazy. He
was in ten super Bowls, won seven. Now I will
say this, if Mahomes wins today, obviously he will set

(02:34:25):
a standard that Tom Brady never accomplished. That's three straight
super Bowl wins. No one's ever done that. Obviously, he's
been to the super Bowl five of six years. That's
never been done before. He will have won a fourth
super Bowl this early in his career. Again, remember Brady
didn't win his fourth super Bowl until his fifteenth season.

Speaker 1 (02:34:47):
In the NFL. Yeah, so he would be way above
the uh mark of Brady. But again, the longevity would
be the long question. You know, how long did he
keep this going?

Speaker 2 (02:34:58):
And by the way, could you ever for see Patrick
Mahomes winning a Super Bowl without Andy Reid? I mean
Tom Brady obviously won a Super Bowl without Bill Belichick.
Could you see Patrick Mahomes winning a Super Bowl without
Andy Reid?

Speaker 3 (02:35:15):
Yeah? I could.

Speaker 4 (02:35:16):
I could because, like Tom Brady, like Peyton Manning, for example,
I think that paired with the right talent around them,
which obviously Tom Brady left New England because that Tampa
Bay for many different reasons, but including the fact that
that Tampa Bay team was super talented.

Speaker 3 (02:35:39):
And I think that's what it takes more than it
takes coaches.

Speaker 4 (02:35:43):
It takes special players at the quarterback position and special
talent around them to get the job done. And so
Peyton had that in Indianapolis. He played with, you know,
a Hall of Famer at center, and I imagine it'll
be multiple Hall of Famers at the skilled position players
when it's all said and done. He went to the Broncos,

(02:36:05):
where he played with Hall of famers all over that
defense and a couple on that offense too, you know.

Speaker 3 (02:36:10):
So I feel strongly.

Speaker 4 (02:36:13):
That a quarterback like Patrick Mahomes could go somewhere else
and play and win and ultimately win another championship without
without Andy Reid.

Speaker 1 (02:36:25):
All right, so let's talk about Brady's tie.

Speaker 4 (02:36:28):
Okay, Yeah, so this prop bet is an interesting one,
not one that I thought I would see, but Tom
Brady's tie color prop So here are your options. Blue
at plus one seventy five, gray or silver at plus
three hundred, no tie at all plus three twenty. So
from prior broadcast there have been times where he's been tieless.

Speaker 2 (02:36:49):
I can't imagine Super Bowl without scantily clad.

Speaker 3 (02:36:54):
Red ties plus six hundred.

Speaker 4 (02:36:55):
And then we start getting into the longest of the
odds black tie plus twelve hundre tied with green and
pink at plus twelve hundred and yellow at plus twelve hundred.
So if it sounds like he's kind of hovered in
that blue or gray silver area, and and I don't know,
red is a pretty bold color.

Speaker 2 (02:37:16):
Yeah, but you don't want to do red if it's
the Chiefs in the game, right, I mean, that would
be a bad look. I mean I would got, I
would have these people watching like, oh I hate the Chiefs,
and like, really Brady red?

Speaker 3 (02:37:30):
Would I would say, factor out red and green?

Speaker 1 (02:37:33):
Yeah, you know, yeah, got those have to be out.

Speaker 3 (02:37:36):
And by the way, factor out black because I don't
think he's.

Speaker 1 (02:37:39):
Gonna wear He's not gonna go black. No, no, no, no, no, no,
no no, it's gotta be some.

Speaker 4 (02:37:43):
Color or no tie, could you? I mean no, no,
the Super Bowl, maybe I'm gonna say gray or silver.
I say it comes out bow tie.

Speaker 1 (02:37:59):
I mean that would be is stating, right, come out.

Speaker 3 (02:38:03):
Bow with the cumber bun.

Speaker 1 (02:38:06):
Yeah exactly.

Speaker 3 (02:38:07):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:38:08):
He's in a full four piece tuxedo with cumber bun.
He looks like he's about to fight a bull.

Speaker 1 (02:38:19):
I go with the oversized clown bow tie, like one
of those gigantic bow ties where you just really want
to stand out like that.

Speaker 3 (02:38:29):
Maybe blue? Maybe blue.

Speaker 2 (02:38:31):
Do you think he consults with his broadcast partner in
terms of what they're going to wear?

Speaker 3 (02:38:38):
You mean, like they try to color coordinate.

Speaker 2 (02:38:41):
Right exactly. I mean you're gonna be sitting side by side.
All right, Well, we'll get in a time.

Speaker 1 (02:38:45):
We got a lot more coming up as to get
ready for the big game. This is Fox Football Sunday,
one and a half hours, ninety minutes. We're getting ready
for the big game, just like you are. This is
Football Sunday.

Speaker 2 (02:39:01):
We're broadcasting live from the tire rack dot Com studios
tire rack dot Com. We're gonna help get you there
and I matched selection fast free shipping, free road as
a protection over ten thousand recommended installers tire rack dot
com the way tire bining should be. I'm watching the
Fox broadcast right now and they have a.

Speaker 1 (02:39:20):
Very emotional moment going on with Jimmy Johnson.

Speaker 2 (02:39:24):
Jimmy is eighty one years old, hall of famer both
College Football Fame and Pro Football Hall of Fame, and
I'm like, is he leaving the Fox team? And Chris
is like yelling in my ear, yeah, like in four years,
four years?

Speaker 1 (02:39:41):
Oh sorry, I had that wrong. That was Terry Bradshaw,
who I think is done in four years. So Jimmy
Johnson must be out now, must be or something or
this is like an honor. I mean, there's no way
to be crying about.

Speaker 2 (02:39:51):
Yeah, I've got only four years left on my contract
when you're eighty.

Speaker 1 (02:39:56):
One years old. So I don't no what's happened.

Speaker 4 (02:40:01):
It seems like it seems like one of those uh
what do you what do you call? Like like here's
a football life of Jimmy Johnson, but they're doing it
in a trustated form.

Speaker 9 (02:40:13):
It was a very strange c g I but very
I mean kind of touching even with sound off here.

Speaker 1 (02:40:18):
It's like c G I through his ears.

Speaker 8 (02:40:20):
Yeah, they're uploading Jimmy Johnson to the metaverse and he
will no longer exist.

Speaker 1 (02:40:24):
We are AI.

Speaker 8 (02:40:27):
Jimmy Johnson is all a I know.

Speaker 3 (02:40:29):
Well, I mean, let's honestly, it was about time.

Speaker 2 (02:40:32):
The one guy that that has sort of nudged his
way into that group is Gronk. That's right, because they've
had obviously Howie and Bradshaw and uh Strahan and Jimmy Johnson.

Speaker 1 (02:40:46):
All of a sudden, Gronk has been showing up a lot.

Speaker 4 (02:40:49):
Okay, now let me ask you this question, how do
you like Gronk on the set?

Speaker 8 (02:40:53):
Well, you know what the wildest part about that is
is that he wasn't even invited. He just showed up one.

Speaker 1 (02:40:56):
Day and yeah, all right, rolls, yeah exactly.

Speaker 3 (02:41:03):
You know.

Speaker 2 (02:41:04):
You know the thing about Gronk is this, on camera
he's great because to me, his shtick is as visual
as it is because I've.

Speaker 1 (02:41:14):
I've heard radio interviews with him. Yeah, and he is dreadful.

Speaker 3 (02:41:19):
Oh really, yeah, I like dreadful.

Speaker 1 (02:41:21):
I mean it's just like there's nothing.

Speaker 2 (02:41:24):
About him talking that sounds interesting, But when he's on camera,
he's interesting.

Speaker 1 (02:41:32):
Well, I mean, it's the whole Gronk persona.

Speaker 2 (02:41:34):
It's it's but it's it's really weird because I've heard
interview I like, you know, fall into an interview and
you know, the whoever's doing the interview is not identifying
who they're interviewing for a long time.

Speaker 1 (02:41:45):
And I remember one time listening to this like who
is this dreadful interview? And I'm trying to figure it's
a football person? Who is this person? And they're like, hey, Gronk,
thanks so much. I go, that was Gronk.

Speaker 4 (02:41:55):
Yeah, yeah, that's interesting that you you put it in
those terms that he is. He's interesting enough visually that
even though he's giving you football information, it's it's more
it's almost more interesting to hear, yeah, to see what
he has to say, if that makes sense exactly.

Speaker 2 (02:42:16):
It's it's it's the whole Gronk persona. So see, you
had the magic of both.

Speaker 3 (02:42:22):
Right, I mean, you know, please when you when.

Speaker 2 (02:42:24):
You speak, obviously it commands an audience, but when when
you get the dynamic of you, you know, on camera.

Speaker 4 (02:42:32):
I mean, well, I'm a triple threat. Some people say
quadruple threat.

Speaker 3 (02:42:36):
I don't. I don't buy into that stuff, you know.

Speaker 4 (02:42:39):
But you know, look well, I mean when I'm signing
headshots outside of our house and I'm thinking to myself, like,
you know, is it is it really worth a forty
five minute line? I eventually I relent and I say,
of course.

Speaker 2 (02:42:54):
First of all, you have appeared on with the great
Colin Coward many times, and with all do respect to Colin.

Speaker 1 (02:43:01):
You know you you take the air out of the room.
I mean, it's just like you, you literally take over everything.

Speaker 4 (02:43:08):
I can't help myself. It's like it's it's please, I mean,
and and thank you. It's just what can you do when.

Speaker 3 (02:43:15):
You have it? You have it?

Speaker 1 (02:43:17):
Let me ask you this?

Speaker 3 (02:43:18):
Yeah? Please?

Speaker 1 (02:43:19):
Okay, even okay, let's just switch gears for secretary.

Speaker 3 (02:43:22):
All right?

Speaker 2 (02:43:23):
Even though you did not participate in your one Super Bowl,
yeah I was, you were on the injury reserve, but
you were there obviously in Indianapolis, and you know, like
I said in retrospect, we literally cross paths there because
I was covering the game obviously.

Speaker 1 (02:43:39):
Uh, and somehow we just didn't stop to talk to
each other that we didn't really know each other.

Speaker 3 (02:43:44):
Because you very rudely just walked right past me to
do I was.

Speaker 2 (02:43:49):
I was trying to get to maybe someone more important. Actually,
I was trying to get to Junior. Sayouf, I know
what you're doing.

Speaker 4 (02:43:55):
You're you're trying to get the gronk because you're like,
he's so visually.

Speaker 1 (02:44:00):
Exactly, But give us a little sense because I know
you're with around the team.

Speaker 2 (02:44:05):
Yeah, yes, where is the mindset right now of these
two teams that have been through this before?

Speaker 1 (02:44:12):
Obviously the Chiefs five times the last six years. Eagles
are there just a couple of years ago. But where
are you as a player?

Speaker 2 (02:44:22):
You know, less than an hour and a half away
from kickoff of the Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (02:44:28):
Man, I mean you're swimming a little bit. I mean,
let's face it, it's football.

Speaker 3 (02:44:35):
You know.

Speaker 4 (02:44:35):
The field's one hundred and twenty yards long, it's fifty
two and some change wide. It's played in a stadium
just like any stadium you've played in. And look and
most of the time most players might have even played
in the super Dome before, whether it be in college
or over the course of their professional career. So when
you boil it down to what you're doing, it shouldn't

(02:44:57):
be two foreign You're doing the same thing we always do. However,
the lead up to the game is different. You know,
you're training at your home site like it's a bye week,
because it is. And then your travels different because that
that is never done as early as it is for
a Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (02:45:16):
So you're spending a week in a.

Speaker 4 (02:45:17):
Foreign city and you're spending that time on different practice fields.
You're out of your rhythm, you're out of your normal habits,
and it's all gearing up to arguably or inarguably the
biggest moment of your life. You know, for the Philadelphia Eagles,
many of those players have never won a Super Bowl.
For the Chiefs, they have an opportunity to make history here.

(02:45:40):
I mean, this is an enormous, enormous circumstance with with
gravitas and all the appropriate you know, pomp and circumstance,
the media appointments. You know, I'm watching straight hand sit
down with Saquon Barkley on the Fox broadcast right now.
I mean, this was an hour or more out of

(02:46:01):
Saquon's day, you know, finding his way over to a
set where you know, he spoke to his publicists before
meeting the producers and getting on a riverboat and setting
up the shots and they went, you know, like, this
doesn't happen when they're getting ready to play the Washington
Commanders week five. But this is the super Bowl, so

(02:46:21):
it's a whole different set of circumstances. So, yeah, the
when it's pregame and you're finally there in the locker room,
the nerves are at an all time high and you
realize how much goes into getting just getting to that game.
And then you realize we haven't even started this thing yet.

Speaker 2 (02:46:42):
And then as and then you obviously have all the
pomp and circumstance before the game and everything else. You know,
the lights are brighter, the anthem, the multiple anthems, you.

Speaker 1 (02:46:54):
Get all that kind of stuff. The halftime show.

Speaker 2 (02:46:57):
Yeah, so we're talking about an hour. Oh yeah, I
mean obviously that is because I mean I just would
imagine wait, wait.

Speaker 3 (02:47:08):
Wait, you're talking about the halftime show.

Speaker 1 (02:47:12):
For the Super Bowl. Isn't it forty five.

Speaker 3 (02:47:14):
No, it's a it's a half hour.

Speaker 1 (02:47:16):
It is that, my guys, I always thought it might
have been forty five minutes.

Speaker 4 (02:47:20):
Any Normally, halftime is fifteen to twenty minutes, and for
Super Bowl it's ten minutes.

Speaker 2 (02:47:25):
Well, but it's a rhythm thing, especially the entire Yeah, Matt,
You've been doing the same thing for seventeen regular season games,
multiple postseason games, and then all of a sudden, you're
sitting in.

Speaker 1 (02:47:36):
That locker room.

Speaker 3 (02:47:37):
You're a hype hobby.

Speaker 1 (02:47:38):
You gotta let's go, ready to go and second half again,
and it's like, I'm gonna have to wait a little
bit longer.

Speaker 3 (02:47:44):
Yeah, yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (02:47:46):
Wonder if we're gonna have another lights out situation like
we did between the Ravens and the forty nine Ers,
that would be the old timer.

Speaker 3 (02:47:52):
Yeah, that changed the trajectory of.

Speaker 1 (02:47:54):
That Remember that game.

Speaker 2 (02:47:55):
I mean it was like a Raven's blowout and then
all of a sudden the lights went out. Yeah yeah,
and here come the forty nine Ers and just inches
away Kaepernick, Oh called Kaepernick, remember that name, Kaepernick right
there to Michael krab Tree was so close right there.

Speaker 4 (02:48:12):
I mean, these games and and I'm glad you brought
up pregame, I'm glad you brought up the locker room. Yeah,
because the the the thing I remember about the Super
Bowl the most. And again, like you know, my media
availability was relatively tiny and insignificant compared to Tom Brady

(02:48:33):
and Gronkowski and some of the other key contributors, right,
Wes Welker. No, I mean, like I mean, I guess
right after West you have to mention my name, But
I don't want to get into all that. Yeah, Evince
Wilfork maybe maybe six down the list. Look, the point is,
like you when you go to a Super Bowl and
you you do all those those things leading up to

(02:48:55):
the game. By the time you get there, there is
there is a little bit of burnout. There is a
little bit of a feeling of exhaustion of like, holy cow,
I mean, and then we got to go play this
damn thing, you know what I mean. And so you know,
you talk to a lot of guys. It's a long week.
It's a long week. It's a long wait. And so

(02:49:15):
you know, we're getting shots of jail and Hurts and
the Eagles getting ready at their lockers right now. I
mean they still have an hour and forty minutes before
they take the field. It, I mean, it's a long
wait until you finally do this thing. So you have
to control your emotions. You have to make sure your preparation.
Your preparation the night before, especially the day before. The

(02:49:38):
night before is key. You know, you cannot spend too
much family time. You cannot concern yourself with you know,
who's got what tickets.

Speaker 3 (02:49:45):
And where's everybody meeting after the game. Like, you just.

Speaker 4 (02:49:48):
Have to lock it in and just ignore the noise
and avoid the distractions and make this as normal of
an experience once you get within twenty four hours as
you possibly can.

Speaker 2 (02:50:01):
It's going to be tough for these two teams, especially
when you're familiar with the other team. All right, on
the other side, we're going to talk about why it
is that the makeup of this game really lends itself
to what could be an all time Super Bowl Classic.

Speaker 1 (02:50:17):
This is Fox Football Sunday.

Speaker 2 (02:50:20):
Steve Hartman, Rich Hornberger, Fox Football Sunday. We are live
from the tai iraq dot com studios. Let's say, okay,
our ten minutes away, Rich, what now are you? Are
you cooking as we are talking? Or how's this working
right now?

Speaker 4 (02:50:38):
Well, so I did some prep work ahead of time,
so the chips and the dip are currently out. I
made a caso two days in advance. Did that in
the slow cooker, little velveta and chariso.

Speaker 2 (02:50:53):
Now you mentioned that you make your own chicken wing sauces.

Speaker 3 (02:50:59):
Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 4 (02:51:00):
So I look, I mean, typically if I'm making chicken wings,
I'm just making wings, and so I'll spend the time
and I'll buy the drumsticks and the flappers, and I'll
you know either.

Speaker 3 (02:51:14):
Well, well typically i'll grill him or fry him, Yeah,
one or the other.

Speaker 4 (02:51:18):
But this time, I'm going to pop them out of
the freezer. I bought pre cooked, pre fried chicken wings,
and I'm going to throw them in the oven, and
then I'm gonna mix them up with the sauce we have,
which I found to be Look, is it perfect now?
But if you want chicken wings to be a part
of an overall feast, you kinda you gotta have to

(02:51:41):
get them in where you can fit them in. And
so it's gonna be a part of a larger number
of items that enter the the oven or the air fryer,
which has proven to be a real key when you're
looking to make I don't know, maybe some some some
from frozen spring rolls or you know, if you got
some mazzarella sticks that you got to reheat or something

(02:52:02):
like that, really good stuff.

Speaker 2 (02:52:04):
Yes, there's been some questions about how many people are
going to watch the super Bowl. The numbers are out
for the NFL Honors Show on Thursday. Yeah, lowest numbers
ever it was first it was first broadcast in primetime

(02:52:24):
in twenty twelve. It was a twenty percent drop from
last year, and so it was the by far, the
least ever watched NFL Honor Show since they started it
in primetime in twenty twelve. There are some people that

(02:52:45):
also believe, because of you know, the idea that we've
seen this before, Chase Siegels, We've been there, been there,
done that, that the numbers will be down for this
year's Super Bowl. You do have, of course, the Taylor
Swift effect.

Speaker 1 (02:53:03):
President Trump obviously is going to be there.

Speaker 2 (02:53:06):
I don't know what are we expecting as far as
viewers for this Super Bowl. Do you think it's going
to be down from a year ago, because, by the way,
a lot of the numbers throughout this postseason have actually
been down through the NFL.

Speaker 3 (02:53:21):
I could see it. I could see it.

Speaker 4 (02:53:23):
I think that there's a little bit of Chiefs fatigue.
I think that's part of the story for sure. I
also think that there's a lot of people who look,
I mean, you know, whether you love the Chiefs or
hate the Chiefs or love the Eagles or hate the
Eagles like these are these are two like pretty hated

(02:53:46):
fan bases, or I should say franchises, Like there's there's
a lot of Eagles hatred as much as.

Speaker 3 (02:53:52):
People are tired of the Chiefs.

Speaker 4 (02:53:56):
I can't tell you how many people I've talked to
who have been like, I'm in an or I'm as
Giants fan, I can't stand the Eagles at all, like
i want them to lose horrifically, or I'm a Washington
Commanders fan, or I'm a Cowboys fan. Think about how
many Cowboys fans are out there. I mean, they're America's team.
That's an enormous fan base. So there's a lot of
Eagles hate. There's a lot of Chiefs hate. I could

(02:54:18):
see there being a tune out factor. Now here's what
I will say. Numbers typically reflect gameplay. So if this
is a really close and particularly high scoring game that
feels like it's being called fairly by the officiating crew,
I could see the numbers going gangbusters today.

Speaker 2 (02:54:39):
The one thing that most people agree will not happen
in the game today.

Speaker 1 (02:54:46):
Is a Chiefs blowout.

Speaker 2 (02:54:48):
The Chiefs all season long, seem even when it looks
like they potentially could pull away from a team, they
would just sort of stop and then all of a
sudden the team back and it was like, Okay, let's
win this game to get out of here, which they
did obviously all season long. But there is a possibility

(02:55:09):
on the other side, certainly after what the Eagles did
last week.

Speaker 1 (02:55:14):
To the Commanders.

Speaker 2 (02:55:15):
I mean, can you see I mean, like, for instance,
there was a prop bet whether the Chiefs would ever
have a fourteen point lead in this game, and the
odds are really against it. I mean, can you see
a Chiefs team that basically has been getting by all
season long, with the thought of and proving it with

(02:55:37):
seventeen straight one score victories that you know, when we
have to, we will. It was like the whole idea of,
you know, having only scored over thirty points one game
this year and that was this last game against Buffalo,
and the answer to that is, well, they.

Speaker 1 (02:55:52):
Didn't need to. They didn't score.

Speaker 2 (02:55:54):
I mean, they obviously won every game except one not
throwing out obviously the last game against Denver, But you know,
could you see a different Chiefs team that just comes
out on fire and just wants to prove to the
world that, yeah, we're as good as you think we are,
and we're going to use today's Super Bowl to just

(02:56:15):
show how far a distance there is between us and
the rest of the NFL.

Speaker 3 (02:56:20):
I could see that, Yeah, I could see that.

Speaker 4 (02:56:23):
I think that the two most likely outcomes I see
is a really close game. I don't know if I
necessarily see the overhitting, but I could see both team
scoring near or over twenty points and having a situation
where it comes down to a final drive in the

(02:56:44):
fourth quarter or overtime. But the second most likely scenario
is the Chiefs of blowing out the Eagles. I feel
like the Eagles have had a very good season, but
I don't know if they've been tested the way the
Kansas City Chiefs and the.

Speaker 3 (02:57:01):
Eagles have faced. You know some.

Speaker 4 (02:57:05):
Defenses that have been and really it's like only about
a handful of defenses that have really been something this season,
But overall, they've had a pretty easy schedule in terms
of who their offense has faced.

Speaker 3 (02:57:18):
They faced some pretty good offenses over the course of
the season.

Speaker 4 (02:57:22):
That's the reason why their defense is so highly touted,
but their offense hasn't seen great defenses over the course
of the season outside of a handful and as a
result of that, I like I said, the most likely
outcome close game. Maybe not a tremendously high scoring game,
but very competitive. Second most likely I could potential, I

(02:57:45):
see the potential for a Chiefs blowout.

Speaker 1 (02:57:47):
You know, again, the numbers are amazing.

Speaker 4 (02:57:49):
The Chiefs this year were sixteenth overall in total offense. Yeah,
the Eagles were eighth overall defense.

Speaker 1 (02:57:57):
The Chiefs were ninth the first.

Speaker 2 (02:58:01):
Yeah, that's quite a differential. And yet at the end
of the year you look into the Chiefs and not
counting the last throwaway game, you know, fifteen to one, Right,
It's been a very interesting year for the Chiefs. It's
interesting also this when we talk about legacy. I mean,

(02:58:23):
obviously the Chiefs have already worked their way into the conversation.
But if it's a close game, which is probably the
most likely scenario, and if it's another one of those
one score Chiefs win with the last second field goal,
one of those.

Speaker 1 (02:58:40):
Type of games, where exactly do we put the Chiefs?
I mean, are they above the Patriots? Are they above everyone?

Speaker 2 (02:58:48):
Because they will have accomplished something that's never been done before.
I mean, take the records out. When you watch this
chief I'm just talking eyeball test. You've seen plenty of
football over the last twenty twenty five years. Yeah, Is
this truly one of the greatest teams of all time?
Or are they a product of a magical quarterback that's

(02:59:09):
come up with big plays in the most critical times?

Speaker 1 (02:59:13):
How do you rank this Chiefs team?

Speaker 4 (02:59:16):
I think this is one of the weaker Chiefs defense
or teams overall. I should say that has made it
this far, although I will say a lot of the
problems that ailed them throughout even a majority of the season,
they've fixed. As we've come cruising to the finish of
the regular season and now into the postseason. The Chiefs

(02:59:39):
offensively did not look anything.

Speaker 3 (02:59:41):
Near how they look now Earlier this year.

Speaker 4 (02:59:45):
I mean, they looked kind of out of sorts, disorganized.
Mahomes looked like he was on path have one of
his worst seasons, and he recovered really well. And I
don't know if it just took that long for you
some of the new p to gel, you know. I
don't know if it's because Travis Kelcey, I mean, while
still effective, has been waning in production and I was

(03:00:10):
recently talking to my old buddy Julian Edelman, and he
played for ten plus years in the league, and he said,
it's at a certain point. He was like, I realized
while I was running routes a practice, during one on
ones or I was on the field, I kind of
realized that normally I was blowing the doors off of everybody.
I could get open, no matter who was playing against.

(03:00:32):
And then he said, but then there came a day
where I realized I was still getting open, but I
wasn't blowing the doors off of everybody.

Speaker 3 (03:00:40):
He was like, people were close to me, and he
was like, I didn't like that. I didn't like that feeling.

Speaker 4 (03:00:45):
And he was like, I retired before I went off
the proverbial cliff.

Speaker 3 (03:00:50):
I'm not saying.

Speaker 4 (03:00:50):
Travis Kelcey is falling off the cliff or anything like that,
but I am saying at a certain point, all players
lose a step. And so I think that had a
lot to do with his lack of production this season,
and I think that's the reason why Patrick Mahomes really
had to pivot, because there have been a lot of
different contributors in a lot of different games that he's
gone to whereas normally he dials up number eighty seven,

(03:01:13):
And yeah, there's coverage issues in Travis Kelcey is a great,
great target for Mahomes, and so he gets doubled a lot.
But he got doubled a lot through the past four
seasons and he's been insanely productive.

Speaker 3 (03:01:24):
So what's changed. I think age has changed.

Speaker 4 (03:01:26):
I think, you know, the rigor of long seasons has
put a lot of extra wear on the tread and
you only get so much tread on the tires. So
I having said all that, while they are maybe the
weakest form of the Chiefs, they're still the Chiefs and
that's still Patrick Mahomes, and they still found a way

(03:01:47):
to win fifteen of seventeen ballgames and then went out
to get to this point. So Steve, it's so hard
to bet against them.

Speaker 2 (03:01:56):
Well exactly, and even going back to the AFC champion
Ship game where the Bills did nothing really wrong, no turnovers,
you know, but you always got a sense the Bills
are sitting there looking at the Chiefs like we know
they're going to find a way.

Speaker 3 (03:02:11):
Yeah, when is it going to happen?

Speaker 1 (03:02:12):
They're gonna find a way.

Speaker 2 (03:02:14):
They're just gonna find a way by the way, Patrick Mahomes,
since the one Chiefs legitimate loss that was Week eleven
to Buffalo, since then, thirteen touchdowns, no interception, That's.

Speaker 3 (03:02:24):
What I mean.

Speaker 2 (03:02:25):
So now, so now, obviously, and again he's not putting
up huge numbers, not like he was several years ago,
but he obviously has been very efficient, that is to
say the least.

Speaker 1 (03:02:35):
All right, let's find out what is trending right now.

Speaker 2 (03:02:39):
And well montsu we are less than an hour away, Yes,
we really.

Speaker 6 (03:02:46):
Are, And I just put in my order for veggie wings,
so I'm getting ready.

Speaker 3 (03:02:51):
All right.

Speaker 1 (03:02:51):
You remember the veggie wings that we enjoyed from her
that one time retrum.

Speaker 3 (03:02:55):
I remember that day. Yeah, those were.

Speaker 1 (03:02:58):
They're on a stick. They look like a win like
a chicken wing, and then you bite.

Speaker 7 (03:03:03):
Into it, don't you start talking.

Speaker 1 (03:03:05):
And then you realize there was like there was.

Speaker 3 (03:03:07):
A stick in there. Well you know what it was.

Speaker 4 (03:03:09):
What we call them is a toothpick. Yeah, that was
a that was a skewer wooden toothpicks.

Speaker 7 (03:03:16):
Your girl's going big though. I'm gonna pick up veggie
wings from two different places. One of the places they.

Speaker 2 (03:03:23):
Have all the same classic flavors or Yes, it's like
a lemon.

Speaker 7 (03:03:28):
Your girl is crazy.

Speaker 6 (03:03:29):
I yesterday went to wingstop and I got four flavors
of sauces.

Speaker 7 (03:03:34):
Yes, and so I have them at home. So be
tossing my wings. I'm going crazy.

Speaker 10 (03:03:41):
And one of the places I'm trying I've never I'm
never I've never tried it.

Speaker 7 (03:03:44):
So that's why i have to go back to.

Speaker 10 (03:03:45):
The one that you're just talking about from a couple
of years ago.

Speaker 6 (03:03:47):
I'm definitely gonna have that just in case these other
ones aren't good and I got to have backup.

Speaker 1 (03:03:51):
So I'm gonna ask you this. I'd let me ask
you this, son a chip standpoint, Yes, do you go
with dip chips or kettle chips?

Speaker 6 (03:03:58):
Kettle kettle Kalifao and kettle barbecue are waiting at home.

Speaker 1 (03:04:03):
You remember before kettle chips came around, you know the ridged.

Speaker 6 (03:04:07):
Yes, yeah, those are ruffles, average ruffles.

Speaker 7 (03:04:13):
That's so good, So good, all right, guys.

Speaker 6 (03:04:16):
Yes, One hour away Super Bowl fifty nine Eagles chiefe
Kansas City trying to be the first team in NFL
history to win three consecutive Super Bowls. Patrick Mahomes we
talked about arrived in a green suit, did you see
that Travis kelce probably borrowed your suit for today's Really.

Speaker 7 (03:04:32):
You haven't seen, Oh you should look at us undersize. No,
it's it looks like it's from the seventies.

Speaker 1 (03:04:38):
Really you've seen.

Speaker 7 (03:04:40):
I'm guessing you own this.

Speaker 10 (03:04:41):
I am guessing you at some point he's got he looks,
he looks fly, he looks like he came out straight
out of a movie.

Speaker 6 (03:04:49):
So I'm assuming you at one point were the exact
outfit that Travis Kelcey is wearing today. Aaron jar that
Aaron Rodgers has been informed by the Jets that they're
going to be moving on from him, so keeping an
what's gonna happen to DeVante Adams with this move? The
San Francisco forty nine ers have granted star receiver Deebo
Samuel permission to seek a trade moving on to baseball

(03:05:10):
because Keige Hernandez himself has announced on social media did
he and the Dodgers seem to be on a one
year agreement?

Speaker 7 (03:05:16):
No shock there pending a physical but.

Speaker 1 (03:05:19):
Move is not only is the alter opular, but he's
super he plays different roles. He's a very valuable piece,
has delivered.

Speaker 6 (03:05:26):
In clutch in clutch moments like absolutely yes. So he
announced it himself. Very exciting about that. Three games in
the NBA that have all wrapped up because everybody wants
to watch the Super Bowl. Damian Lillard dropped forty three
points as the Bucks beat the seventy six Ers one
thirty five to one twenty seven. Milwaukee's gonna be without
Gianna Santekombo for about.

Speaker 7 (03:05:44):
A week or so.

Speaker 10 (03:05:44):
In fact, he's not gonna play in next.

Speaker 6 (03:05:46):
Week's All Star Game because of that cap strain that
he's been dealing with. The Rockets beat the Raptors ninety
four eighty seven. Kate Cunningham had a triple double and
the Pistons defeated the Hornets won twelve to oneh two.

Speaker 7 (03:05:58):
And we'll check in on the ladies.

Speaker 6 (03:06:00):
I UCLA still winning in women's college hoops.

Speaker 7 (03:06:03):
Number one team in the country.

Speaker 10 (03:06:05):
That's right.

Speaker 7 (03:06:05):
They have not lost a game.

Speaker 10 (03:06:06):
They're twenty two to zero and right now they're.

Speaker 6 (03:06:08):
On top of Oregon forty five to thirty eight with
about seven minutes to go.

Speaker 10 (03:06:13):
Guys, we're almost there, almost there.

Speaker 1 (03:06:14):
Let's go back to you, all right. They are showing
President Trump right now.

Speaker 7 (03:06:19):
He was golfing earlier today, apparently with Tiger.

Speaker 1 (03:06:21):
Woods at the elly. And when you're president, you get
to do a lot of a lot of big but
he is there. By the way, don't forget right after
our show, our podcast is going up, so we missed
any of today's show.

You'll see this show posted right after we get off
the air. One big decision that was made at the
end of the season for the Eagles was sitting Sakuon
Barkley in that final regular season game against the hapless

(03:06:56):
New York Giants, and by all accounts, the way he
was on a roll going into that game, he likely
would have gotten the one hundred and one yards or
whatever one hundred three yards necessary to break Eric Dickerson's
all time single season rushing record. He's sat that game rich,
but now he's just thirty yards away from breaking Terrell

(03:07:19):
Davis's record for most yards in a season when he
combined the regular season and the postseason. And he has
been phenomenal in these playoffs, averaging over one hundred and
forty seven yards a game, just absolutely running crazy in
these games. You know, ultimately, each NFL season to me

(03:07:42):
has a face, right, It's like, Okay, this was the guy.

Speaker 1 (03:07:47):
In the NFL for that season, That's right.

Speaker 3 (03:07:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:07:50):
And I just cannot believe that when this game is
over tonight that we are not going to look back
and say that the twenty twenty four season belonged to
Saquon Barkley.

Speaker 3 (03:08:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:08:06):
I cannot see a guy who has been on this
kind of a role. And I know you talk about
he may not be one hundred percent, but if that's
the case, he hasn't been one hundred percent. You know,
no one's one hundred percent of this kind of year
and he's still putting up huge numbers.

Speaker 1 (03:08:22):
I can't imagine with the kind of season that.

Speaker 2 (03:08:25):
He has had that we are not going to see
more of the same from Saquon Barkley in this Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (03:08:36):
Yeah, yeah, I listen, I don't I'm not saying for
a second that I don't think he can have a
huge game and be the reason why the Eagles win
the Super Bowl and win a Super Bowl MVP, and
have it be part of the story that his sacrifice

(03:08:56):
during the regular season to not chase individual records, but
to lean into what his team needed, which was his
health and the health of that offensive line, so they
didn't feel obliged to go out there and block for
him so he could earn that record. Is more important
than anything, right, you know this idea, it's team over me,

(03:09:19):
And I honestly kind of hope that's the case because
there's a part of me, even though I'm a pragmatist
and I do think that the Chiefs are insanely hard
to be here, that I'm rooting for Saquon and his
story and he's a former Penn State and Nitneelyon just
like myself, Like I love a lot about the about

(03:09:41):
the after effects, the afterglow of an Eagles win versus
a Chiefs win. So with all of that being said,
that's a really good defensive coordinator on the chief sideline.
Steve Spagnolo has been around.

Speaker 3 (03:09:55):
This game for a long time.

Speaker 4 (03:09:57):
And if you're gonna stop the Eagle, the only way
you would feel comfortable going home. The only way is
if is if you've stopped Saquon. You know, if Jalen
Hurts throws for three hundred yards and three touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (03:10:13):
I get it. That stings.

Speaker 4 (03:10:14):
That's that hurts too, but not as much if Saquon
Barkley rushes for one hundred and forty and he rushes
for two touchdowns and he receives for another thirty five
yards and he smashes you know the all time record, right, yeah, like.

Speaker 3 (03:10:31):
No, no, no, no, no, no.

Speaker 4 (03:10:32):
There there is a number that you have circled on
the roster for the past two weeks, and it's Saquon's.

Speaker 3 (03:10:39):
It's nobody else's.

Speaker 4 (03:10:40):
You gotta find a way to stop them, and I
think I think the Chiefs can do it.

Speaker 1 (03:10:44):
All right.

Speaker 2 (03:10:45):
Coming up on the other side, all of us are
going to give our final picks for this year's Super Bowl.
This is Fox Football Sunday, Steve Harvey, Rich Hary record
Fox Football Sunday. We're live from the tai Iraq Doc studios.
All right, this has been a very fast show, despite
the extra hour. Before we get to our picks, Rich,

(03:11:06):
I'm asking you this because I'm getting frantic text from
my ex, my daughter, my son, my daughter's boyfriend. They're
all asking the same thing. Who will score the first touch?
And I said, I'm gonna ask Rich, So Rich, what
is the best play in your opinion, on which player
will score the first touchdown?

Speaker 3 (03:11:28):
All right, So I've thought a long time about this.

Speaker 4 (03:11:32):
If I were to make a guess, I would say
it would be Jellen hurts on a touch push.

Speaker 1 (03:11:39):
All right, So Jalen Hurst hurts on the push here, Okay.

Speaker 3 (03:11:44):
I'm just shoot that text message.

Speaker 1 (03:11:46):
I'm doing this right now.

Speaker 3 (03:11:47):
I know these things are time sensitive.

Speaker 1 (03:11:49):
They are right now, and that's it. Okay, I just
texted and we're in all right, good, all right, So
we take care of They in Vegas or something or
I have no idea. I didn't know anybody.

Speaker 2 (03:12:00):
First of all, I could tell them there's a reason
why their father doesn't bet on anything.

Speaker 1 (03:12:05):
I I mean, I mean, I would be on a
park bench if I did that, I promise you, because
I would be very, very poor. But anyway, all right,
let's get to what we have to do.

Speaker 2 (03:12:17):
We have to make our final picks now for the
Super Bowl. Obviously, I want a full final score. I
need an actual winner and score of the game. We'll
start with you, Chris. We'll start with you, Chris. Oh wow, Yeah,
let's right off the bat. I want a prediction on
final score of this game.

Speaker 9 (03:12:38):
Well, after talking with our imaging director Ricky informing me
that there cannot actually be a tie in the Super Bowl,
even if it goes on for twenty four hours.

Speaker 1 (03:12:45):
Yeah, that is correct.

Speaker 9 (03:12:46):
I like rooting for ties, but since that cannot happen.
Looking at this game, I just have this feeling that
we're going to keep looking for the Patrick Mahomes magic,
but I think when it comes in my finally be
a little too late. Bo and I were sitting in
here talking about the opponents the Chiefs have been playing

(03:13:07):
before this moment, and he can probably get into some
of the names, but I'll just say this, I was
just kind of like wow, thinking about that. I think
the Eagles the best team in football right now. I
think it's time to stop ignoring that fact. I do
think the Chiefs will make it close and kind of
scramble back into this, but I don't think it's going
to It's going to probably as a.

Speaker 1 (03:13:28):
Score anywhere here. Then it am I not allowed to
speak on this.

Speaker 9 (03:13:33):
It is just I am going to say, twenty seven
to twenty go Birds.

Speaker 1 (03:13:39):
Twenty seven twenty Eagles over the Chiefs. All right, very
very good. We'll explain Bo do you have a pick.

Speaker 8 (03:13:47):
Yeah, so much like last week. I think there's two
scenarios in this game. The Eagles are either going to
win by fourteen plus or the Chiefs are going to
win by three. I Rich, earlier in this year, we
were talking during one of our wonderful shows and the
Chiefs had pulled out yet another another game with the

(03:14:07):
Horseshoe firmly lodged up there, and we we mentioned that
if we took the we stripped the Chief's name, the
Chiefs branding all of that stuff off of this team,
would we think that this was a great football team.
And the answer was no, Yeah, yeah, And I just
everything that we've been told, all of us growing up
watching football, everything we've been told is the defense and

(03:14:29):
running the ball wins championships. And there's one team in
this game that does that. I think the Eagles are
gonna win. Thirty seven to twenty four.

Speaker 9 (03:14:39):
I had dump myself because I was yelling at Monsey.
Twenty seven to twenty was my score.

Speaker 2 (03:14:42):
Production, Yeah, twenty seven to twenty and yours is thirty
seven to twenty four.

Speaker 1 (03:14:47):
Eagles. Yes, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna let Rich go last.

Speaker 2 (03:14:51):
By the way, If you want Moncey's pick, she's already
jetted out. You can check out the podcast of our
show from yesterday because.

Speaker 1 (03:14:59):
She made her pick on the air. So, ok, I'll
tell you that my pick I have not waivered.

Speaker 2 (03:15:04):
I've been talking about this game for two weeks and
I've already given you a preview of how I believe
this game is going to go.

Speaker 1 (03:15:12):
I do believe the Eagles are the better team.

Speaker 2 (03:15:15):
I think the fact that they were in the Super
Bowl a couple of years ago, that experience is going
to help this team tremendously. And I think people are
just going to see that the better team is going
to win. Final score Eagles thirty four, Chiefs twenty four.
Ten point win for the Eagles today. All right, so
we have three Eagles picks. By the way, the Fox
guys three of the five pick the Eagles. Okay, So

(03:15:38):
here we are with rich Ornberger final say, Rich on
the final score of Super Bowl fifty nine.

Speaker 1 (03:15:45):
I'm going to say the pressure to put on.

Speaker 3 (03:15:47):
You, it's good. Yeah, there's a lot of pressure. I'm
gonna say. We're gonna see.

Speaker 4 (03:15:52):
History made here. We're going to see an excellent football game.
Maybe a little bit of a slow start, like champion
and contenders often do, circling each other for the early rounds.
Give me a tie ball game at twenty one going
into overtime and the Chiefs win twenty four twenty one

(03:16:13):
on a field goal on their second possession because they
lose the coin toss, Bucker kicks it through for the victory,
and the Chiefs win suprego fifty nine.

Speaker 2 (03:16:24):
Well, I mean again, the Chiefs have been very similar
to the Patriots. The Patriots when you look at their
six championships, the only game that was really not in
doubt was the last one against the Rams.

Speaker 3 (03:16:34):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (03:16:35):
Every other game was, you know, the unbelievable comeback against Atlanta,
the gift victory against Seattle. I mean that was a
gift obviously with that inexplicable call to pass the ball
by the Seahawks. So yeah, I mean that's the way
if you're going to pick the Chiefs, most likely it's

(03:16:55):
going to be a very close game. The line on
this game, which opened it a point and a half
I hear edged maybe half a point in the Eagles direction.

Speaker 3 (03:17:06):
Okay, I mean.

Speaker 1 (03:17:07):
Essentially you're talking to pick them. I mean that's that's
what it really is.

Speaker 2 (03:17:10):
Yeah, but it's always interesting late money.

Speaker 1 (03:17:13):
You know a lot of people wait till the very
last second.

Speaker 3 (03:17:16):
That's common.

Speaker 1 (03:17:17):
I was to date myself, as I often do.

Speaker 3 (03:17:20):
I was.

Speaker 2 (03:17:21):
I was in Las Vegas with buddies for Super Bowl sixteen.
This was the game between the first Super Bowl win
for the forty nine ers and the and the line
was holding steady where the forty nine ers were ironically
a point and a half point favorite by kickoff. In
the last hour, it dropped to pick them. All the
money poured in on Cincinnati at the last second everything

(03:17:43):
and what happened. I already bet on the forty nine ers.

Speaker 1 (03:17:46):
Forty nine ers won and they covered, so all you know,
you never know, you never know. All we were hoping for,
obviously is a is a really, really good game. I
can't believe rich how we've gone through another full NFL season.
It's just unreal. How did it happen so fast?

Speaker 3 (03:18:01):
I don't like it.

Speaker 4 (03:18:03):
I'm not happy that it's over, but I am glad
that we traversed another season. And it's totality with our
great crew here and Steve. Another one in the books, my.

Speaker 1 (03:18:13):
Friend, Another one in the books. My friend. Indeed.

Speaker 2 (03:18:16):
All right, well, everybody, enjoy your big Super Bowl parties today.
Be safe, enjoy all the great food, and let's keep
our fingers crossed for a great game.

Speaker 1 (03:18:25):
