(01:33):
So the big news out of the NFL yesterday was
the trade because everyone's watching and kind of looking around
at what the quarterbacks are gonna do. Like once Matthew
Stafford decided to go back to LA for whatever the
amount was and whatever the reasoning was or all that
stuff that played out. Once he went back, it was like,

(01:53):
all right, now we'll get down to who's gonna end
up where, what makes the most sense, who's going to
be a bridge quarterback, what team's thinking about taking a
quarterback in the draft, Like everything's going to start to
shake out here. And so the move yesterday in the
NFL that kind of surprised some people was the Geno
Smith trade from the Seahawks to the Raiders. And initially like,

(02:18):
oh wow, that's interesting because we were looking at all
these free agents that they could possibly sign. Instead, they
go out, they trade a third round pick and they
bring back Geno Smith to reunite with Pete Carroll. And
then once you see the deal get done and you
take a step back, you kind of realize, oh, yeah,
that makes some sense Pete Carroll loves Geno Smith and

(02:41):
vice versa. Gino Smith is credited Pete Carroll for giving
him his confidence back. He signed a bunch of one
year deals just to stay in Seattle to be with
Pete Carroll. Like those two guys love each other. So
it makes sense. From that standpoint, Pete Carroll looks at
this and says, look, if we don't if we can't

(03:02):
get a Matthew Stafford and we strike out there and
we're not totally sure sitting with the six pick who's
going to be their quarterback? Maybe maybe Shit or Sanders
will be there, maybe, like we don't know. But if
we're not totally confident, at least let me go with
somebody I trust. If this is in fact my last

(03:24):
opportunity to be a coach in the NFL, totally get it.
It makes sense. You would like some familiarity if you
are going to pursue this, especially if you're taking over
a place that needs work in a division with those quarterbacks.
So from that standpoint, it makes a hell of a

(03:46):
lot of sense for Pete Carroll Gino Smith in Las
Vegas to do this. There's been some talks they're going
to work on some sort of a short term contract extension.
Geno's got one year left on his deal. So it all,
once you take a step back, make some sense. Here's
what else's does? It makes you wonder and ask the

(04:11):
question out loud, what does this say about Russell Wilson?
Because I don't know. Maybe I must have missed a
few years there, but it seems like Russell Wilson and
Pete Carroll did some good things together.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
I mean, it seems like those two like went to
a couple of Super Bowls, won a Super It just
it feels like it. And by the way, Russell Wilson
you can have without giving away a draft pick. He's
a free agent. You could like that is that is
a possibility, Like you can have Russell Wilson. And there's
been some you know spec Hey, listen, they've mended fences,

(04:55):
they've been okay, So what happened? And I look at
this and I go, it's kind of like the uh,
the stages after a breakup that could lead to a
possible getting back together situation. You know, like everybody kind
of goes to you, like when you go through a breakup,

(05:16):
there's like the initial feeling almost like a shock, especially
when you've been together a long time, it's like, oh boy, like, man,
what happens? You know, the emotions are raw, like all
of a sudden, you like you've got to fill this
void and there's all this time on your hands and
you're not like you're angry. And then and then after
a while, you start to feel maybe a little bit

(05:38):
lonely and maybe you're uncomfortable because you're not comfortable with
not having them by your side. So you start to
romanticize all the good times and forgot about all the
bad times, and you start to think and all of
a sudden like all the goods and then everything starts
to settle down. And then the moment comes where it's like, hey,
there's an opportunity here, wounds have healed. What do you say,

(06:03):
why don't we give this another try? And it's at
that moment where you have a decision to make what
stuck with you the most, the good times that you
romanticized when you were lonely, or the bad times that
you thought about when you were angry. And I just

(06:25):
wonder if Pete Carroll was looking at this whole thing, going, yeah,
I'm good, I'm good here, I'll go with Geno Smith.
I'll choose Geno Smith over Russell Wilson, who I won
a Super Bowl with, Like pinnacle of my NFL career

(06:50):
was with that guy, And I'll take the other one,
who I had less success with, and in fact, the
other one who was there when I was told my
service as we're no longer needed in Seattle. Yeah, I'll
go with that guy instead. It does say a lot
about where Russell Wilson's reputation is in the NFL that

(07:14):
somebody who would know him and had as much success
with a quarterback. Arguably those two guys made each other
Hall of famers. And he's going, nah, I'm good, I'll
take the other one. And the pushback would be, oh, well,
listen to me in his age, it's got to be
an age thing. You know, Russell Wilson's older, dude, He's

(07:34):
less than two years older than Gino Smith. Like we're
not talking about like, you know, one guy's thirty six
and the others in his mid twenties. This isn't a
Russell Wilson justin fields things. Gino Smith is thirty four, Mike.
So we could sit here and like try and like

(07:56):
there's a two year age difference. Yeah, but you know
what about the production last year? Okay, It's like, let's
not pretend that Gino Smith was great last year, Like
you could argue those two like from a turnover standpoint,
and I get it. Russ played less games, not even
arguable from a turnover like Gino Smith was like thirty

(08:20):
in the NFL and picks last Like, let's not pretend
like he had this like fantastic year and he blew
away the league and there was an argument about all
he wants sixty million gear like no, no, Like this
says is much about how Pete Carroll feels about the
options out there, one of which being Russell Wilson, as

(08:41):
it does how he feels about Geno Smith. And so
when you start to look at all the different landing spots,
you know what, we're hearing a lot of Hey what
about Aaron Rodgers? What's where does this leave him? Oh? Yeah,
hey what about Sam Donald? Where does this you know
Sam Donald's ops? Yeah, totally like hearing Daniel Jones, Hey,

(09:01):
Daniel Jones has got options out there? Hey what about
what about justin fields? Like you know, Pittsburgh like there's
some other possibilities out there, like what about him?

Speaker 4 (09:08):
Do you know?

Speaker 2 (09:10):
You know what? You're not hearing a lot of Hey,
what does this mean for Russell Wilson? And I don't
know the guy. I don't think I maybe I shook
his hand once at a Super Bowl media center gathering
when he was going to be a guest or so
like maybe I don't know, never had a conversation with him.

(09:32):
Can't speak about how he is. Is a p I
have no idea. All I know is this there seems
to be a common theme around the NFL, like it
didn't work in Seattle. It went to Denver. That was
a disaster, complete disaster. And again we're not trying to

(09:55):
dig into whatever his personal preferences are. To each their own. Personally,
when I bought our place, when my wife and I
bought our place, like I wasn't really interested in a
four bedroom, twelve crap closet home. I wasn't like triple
the bathroom to bedroom feels odd. But again, to each

(10:15):
their own, I have no idea, Like you know, like
maybe hey, listen, you know I'm on a water fast.
I got to get there quick. I need options, Okay,
I mean, you know, four bedroom, five bath, I could
totally understand twelve. That's a bit much parking space, own office.
But like, now we're looking at all. Right. So it

(10:37):
didn't work in Seattle and it ended on bad terms,
got it. Denver was a disaster. It ended on bad terms.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
Got it?

Speaker 2 (10:45):
What about Pittsburgh? Uh, yeah, we're good. Well we'd rather
have Justin Fields back. Yeah, but Russell Wilson was better. Nah,
we're okay here. Okay. So now that's three different exams
of things. Didn't end all that good and didn't end
all that right, And it's not so much about the

(11:05):
production as it is. Eh Arthur Smith and him didn't
really get along reportedly. You know, they played nice publicly,
but didn't really get along. Okay, And so now there's
an option to reunite with somebody you had the most
success in your NFL career with, and vice versa for
Pete Carroll, and he says, now we're good here, I'll

(11:26):
go with the other guy. It just makes you wonder
what we're talking about here, a guy who was on
a Hall of Fame trajectory and he's going to be
looking at a fourth team in five years. Kind of wild.
You don't see this a lot unless there's something more
to the story. Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio at

(11:48):

(12:09):
here as we take you all the way up again
until four pm Eastern time, one o'clock specific here from
the tire Rack dot Com studios. But there is a
way to fix all this. There's a problem not only
in the NFL, but in all of sports, and there's
a way to fix it. I'll tell you how. That's next.
We don't need to bring Jonas in.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio coming up a little over
ten minutes from now here from the tire rack dot
com studios. I mean it's a pretty easy, uh easy
investigation here. There's a way to simply explain a story

(13:03):
in the NFL. We will get into that for you
here coming up a little over ten minutes from now
from these tireraq dot com studios. So there is I
really do admire people that lack self awareness. I really
like in a weird way, like I try and be
pretty self aware, but I almost admire people that do

(13:24):
not have that, that speak in terms to other people
the way that they should be speaking to themselves, and
they just have no there's no like, there's nothing, nothing
resonates it. It was like they're ignorant to the entire conversation.
I remember this like this probably a year and a

(13:45):
half ago. I just decided, you know what, I'm just
gonna go take a walk. And I just remember I
just went to this park, nice park nearby, and it
just took a walk and I was kind of walking
around and there was not one person on their phone,
not one per checking their social media, not one person
posting a TikTok, not somebody doing some faked staged photo

(14:08):
in front of a waterfall to make it seem like
like there's nothing just people just hanging out, totally totally
oblivious to anything on social media, anything that's happened in
that world, no clue whatsoever. You could pull them aside
say hey, hey, what's Twitter, they'd be like what, no clue,
like not even like, not a care in the world.

(14:29):
I was like, you know what, it's good to see
that that still exists, that there is an option, that
there's something about that, you know, that's like this ignorance
is bliss thing. So like the lacking self awareness, there's
something about I go, wow, I try and have it,
but the fact that you don't, I kind of admire it.
And I got to tell you something, man, Jimmy Haslam,

(14:51):
the owner of the Cleveland Browns, lacks self awareness in
a way that I think should inspire people, Like should
really inspire him. When this report comes out that Jimmy
has them refused to meet with Miles Garrett. Like Miles
Garrett is looking for a trade, he wants to be traded.

(15:11):
The Browns have come out publicly s to fan Ski
Andrew Berry have come out and said, well listen, we're
not gonna trade Them'm not going to trade him. He
doesn't want to negotiate a contract. This is not about money.
He wants to go and he wants to try and
chase down a Super Bowl like that's his you know,
that's where he's at in his career. He realizes he's
getting older, et cetera, et cetera. It's like, you know,

(15:33):
just want to meet with you, just want to have
a conversation. And instead of Jimmy has them being like,
all right, let's let's talk, Like, yeah, let's talk. Hey,
you know what here, let's let's have a discussion, instead
of him being like, our organization could use this, and
if there's a way that I can have a talk

(15:55):
with a guy who outside of you know, clubbing Mason
Rudoff over the head with a helmet, you know, outside
of that, I mean, he's a small, small infraction, not
really that big of a deal if you think about it,
not that big of a deal, you know, Like I mean,
you know that would have been like, you know, been
suspended for a quarter, you know, back in the eighties.
But you know, outside of that, Miles Garrett has done

(16:18):
everything the right way off the field from a production standpoint,
and again you want to you want to harp on
the mation Rudolph stuff, I personally won't like if you
want to bring up the fact that you know, Miles
Garrett accused him of saying something that nobody else on
the field heard anywhere nearby, like nobody heard it at all,
and he used that as the excuse afterwards a gat like, hey,

(16:41):
small infraction, not that big of a deal. But again,
we don't want to bring up bold stuff outside of that.
Miles Garrett's done everything the right way off the field.
On the field, he's one of the greatest Cleveland Browns ever,
like on on his way to a Hall of Fame,
he has been a home run pick or the Cleveland Browns,
they got that one right. And he wants to have

(17:06):
a talk with the owner and Jimmy has them's like nah, no, no, no, no,
I don't want to talk to you, Okay. Do you
think that maybe you could use like some sort of
a I don't know, public representation of how you handle

(17:27):
your players and how you treat your players and the organization.
Do you think like maybe that might go a long
way with national media, local media, more importantly, local fans
in Cleveland diehard Cleveland Browns fans who are still reeling
from the fact that you know you're in the situation

(17:48):
you are, but instead Jimmy has instead of like, may
I want to talk to my best player on my
team and like trying either men defenses or come to
an amicable decision on how we can part ways, instead
of that, he's like, no, no, no, We're good here.

(18:09):
It's like, dude, you do realize that you are known
as the guy who gave the weirdo two hundred and
thirty million dollars guaranteed and it has been a full
fledged five alarm disaster, the worst move in the history
of the NBA or sports, I mean. And then Nico

(18:32):
Harrison stepped up and said, hold my beer, like we'll
take it from but the whole like the lack of
Jimmy Haslam being able to look at this and go,
oh god, you know this would really go a long way,
Like this could go a long way. We'll sit, we'll talk.
I think I could convince him. I could convince him
on what we see for our future. I can convince

(18:55):
him of this or at the very least, hey, we
owe it to him, We owe it to him to
at least have a conversation. Maybe it doesn't amount in
a long term extension. Maybe we do end up, you know,
having to deal him or trade him away, But you
know what, he's earned that, right, And Jimmy Hasam's like,
now we're good here. You kind of admire it. I

(19:18):
swear to God. When the story came out yesterday, I thought,
like LeVar Arrington and I were talking about on the air,
I was like, wait, really, you're not even gonna meet
with the guy. Jimmy Hasm's like, no, no, no, no, no,
we're good here. You're kind of shocked, and then you
take a step back and you go, oh, so that's

(19:39):
just that you just don't You don't see this the
way anybody else does, Like you're not aware of the
per se. He's like one of those people in the park,
kind of walking around totally oblivious to what social media is. Like.
I wonder if Jimmy Hasm realizes what the opinion of

(20:01):
the franchise is that he runs and owns, Like does
he is he aware of the fact that Browns fans
never really felt totally comfortable about the Deshaun Watson move,
Like never, like you never really felt comfortable, Like, is
he aware of what has happened to Baker Mayfield since

(20:23):
he left Cleveland? A guy they couldn't wait to get
rid of? Is he aware of that? Is he also
aware of the fact that Joe Flacco won Comeback Player
of the Year over DeMar Hamlin because of how well
he played for the Browns and they also let him

(20:43):
go the very next year? He like, is he aware
of Just think about how good Joe Flacco had to
be that he won Comeback Player of the Year over
a guy who almost died on the field on Monday
Night Football the year before, and Jimmy has them and yeah, whatever,
don't worry about it. Hey, hey, DeShawn, we'll restructure your deal.

(21:04):
We'll clear up some cat space day listen, man, get better.
You know we'll figure this out. No, just not even
he Miles Garrett greatest player maybe in the you know,
of this generation of Cleveland Brown's great player. We could
probably mend some fences. We really need you. We can't
afford to lose you and deal with what we've dealt
with with DeShawn. Nanaa doors closed. Sorry, buddy, come back later,

(21:26):
and if you do, I won't be here anyway, there's
a lack of self awareness that is mind boggling, astonishing
and admirable. It really is. And then I start thinking
to myself, Man, wouldn't it be nice if you could
just if owners didn't get teams forever until they sold it,

(21:48):
like the NFL ultimately owned all these teams, and then
you could sign owners to like two or three year
deals like they do with players. Hey, we're looking for
a bridge owner here, like somebody just to get us
through this next year, and then we're gonna go shop around.
See we can get somebody else, because if that was
the case, Jimmy has them would have gotten his ass
fired a long time ago. But it's not so. If

(22:12):
you're a Browns fan, you're just looking around, going, sweet,
this is what we got. We're in the same area,
the same section as the New York Jets and other franchises. No, no,
this is what we've got, and we've got it because
there's an owner who apparently has no self awareness to

(22:32):
the point that he doesn't realize, Oh, that's kind of
a bad look to not even sit and have a
conversation with the best player on your team in the
midst of him winning a trade out of town. Kudos
to Jimmy has Them Jonas Noxi or Fox Sports Radio.
By the way, you can stream this show and all
of our Fox Sports Radio shows live twenty four to

(22:53):
seven and the new and improved iHeartRadio app just searts
Fox Sports Radio in the app to stream is live.
And one of the new features in the app is
that you can select Fox Sports Radio is one of
your presets, just like the presets on a radio dill.
So be sure to preset Fox Sports Radio in the
iHeartRadio app and it will always pop up at the
top of your screen. So coming up next here there's
an easy explanation to a story that has taking place

(23:17):
in the NFL. We will get into that for you
here on Fox Sports Radio. But for all the latest
from around the world of sports ladies and gentlemen, make
some noise for sports talk radio royalty. A man who listen,
he cares about you. He cares about this show, all right,
all right. If there's not it's enough, if no, no, no,

(23:40):
no no no. If there is not, if there is
not a Chargers show to do, or a soccer tournament
to call, he cares about this show, and he cares
for you. He is Sports Talk Radio Royalty, the one
and only is of GLOM and I appreciate it. As
always there is.

Speaker 5 (23:56):
We got a lot of stuff today and as part
of my magnificent benevolence, I want to give you an
opportunity to talk about all this stuff that's going on. So, yeah,
I didn't mean to cut you short there on your
own show. Now listen, it's quite all right. Like what
sort of stories are out there? All positive? I'm sure,

(24:19):
I'm afraid not, although the last story that we're gonna
get to you'll find amusing, I hope, But indeed, definitely
not all positive out there, especially our top story. Kansas
City Chiefs receiver Xavier Worthy arrested Friday night in Williamson County, Texas,
which is outside of Austin, on a felony charge of

(24:39):
assault against a family or household member by impeding their
breathing or circulation. Now today, Worth these attorneys issued a
statement reading quote, we are working with law enforcement to
ensure they have the benefit of the totality of the
circumstances that led to this allegation. The complainant was recently

(25:01):
asked to vacate mister Worthy's residents upon discovery of her infidelity.
She refused to do so and made a number of
extortive efforts prior to resorting to this baseless allegation unquote
again that a statement from Worthy Attorneys.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
Meanwhile, can I can I just put because I know
a lot of this is your show. You don't have
to ask to do anything on your show. I just
want to. I just want to, you know, point some
that out there is. Remember cliffs Notes back in the day,
like Cliff's Notes.

Speaker 5 (25:32):
I've heard that they don't have cliffs notes anymore.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
Yeah, I've heard that as well too.

Speaker 5 (25:36):
So the kids these days get by, oh yeah, they
just copy everything off.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Yea aida ai, it's chat gpt ai. It's all that.
But back in the day, there was cliffs Notes where
you could if there was a book that was really long.

Speaker 5 (25:49):
See back in our day, Back in our day, Jonas,
we had to put some effort into our lack of
academic integrity.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
So you would get you would get these cliffs Notes
and it'd be these yell little books. It looked like
Abba Zaba rappers, and you get these cliffs notes and
it would shorten the book up so it would be
easier to understand. I was like, all right, well listen.
If the book's confusing, whatever, you go get a clip,
like there's a cliffs Notes version to all of this,
like the description the what happened with xaber Like, let's

(26:17):
just okay, let's just call what it is. He choked
a family member, Okay, like like this, so what you
know he caused all you know, he impeded the brit No,
he choked a family member or I don't know if
this is a spouse or something like that. That's what happened.
And his attorney coming out and saying, well, there's some
infidelity going on. Okay, that makes everything okay, you know

(26:41):
what they they upon further review, we're gonna go ahead
and we're gonna exonerate him on all charts. Like I
don't know why the attorney thought that this would be
uh the way to go as far as the messaging
turns out. But you know, maybe maybe we rethink that
thing next time. I don't know. By the way, it
was a little odd.

Speaker 5 (26:59):
We do have a cliffs Notes update. Yeah, okay, I'm
not making this up. This is the absolute truth. In
high school, I think was freshman or sophomore year, as many.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
High schoolers do. We had to read a Tale of
Two Cities.

Speaker 5 (27:15):
I tried. I could not understand a thing. So I'm like, okay,
I'll get the cliffs notes. I got the cliffs notes
for a Tale of Two Cities, and even that was
too complicated for me.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
I'm not making this up.

Speaker 5 (27:29):
I needed, I literally needed cliffs notes for the cliffs notes.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
Well yeah, I mean some of it, like they I
just didn't read it, okay, Yeah, I just would be like,
oh yeah, I'm good here, like you did you do
your assignment? Nope, I try not. I want to.

Speaker 5 (27:46):
I tried to read the first one hundred and fifty pages,
and I swear to God, the only thing that I
could tell happened was somebody wrote a horse drawn carriage
on a rainy night up into a driveway. And that's
all understood literally from the first one hundred and fifty pages. Anyway,
that true story. Elsewhere I should have pulled the jonas
and not even bothered.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Anyway. Well, look what I remember when I was I
think I was in like kindergartener, first grade, like really young.
That's when you were in a taibl two Cities. Now
your parent comes into school to talk with your teacher.
And I remember sitting there with my teacher and they're like,
all right, so show your mom what you've learned. Count
to one hundred, which is easy, Like at that point
it was easy. And I literally counted to eleven and
I stopped. And the teacher's like, okay, why did you stop?

(28:34):
And I said, I don't want to count anymore. She goes,
I swear to God, I look at my mom. I'm like,
I don't want to. She goes, why so you can
do this? You just did this yesterday. I was like, yeah,
I know, but I don't want to anymore. So why
I was like, I don't know. I just don't feel
like it. And my mom just looked at the teacher
and was like, I don't I have nothing for you,

(28:56):
and I to this day, I have no idea why
I did it. I just just in that moment, yeah,
I'm not doing this anymore. That was it. I don't
remember if I got in trouble or not. I think
I probably did, but I just decided, yeah, I'm not
doing that, so choices see and I could do it.

Speaker 5 (29:11):
If you would have said that, the teacher would have
jumped up at that point and said to your mom,
he has a future in sports talk radio, but nothing else.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
I would have believed it. Yeah, I just I just decided, Yeah,
you know, and that's and that's probably why I don't
spend too much time on stats on this show. Realized, like,
you know, I got great advice. I got great advice
from one time when they talked about doing doing radio
and doing shows, they said, stories, not stats. Hey, I'm

(29:40):
with you. We can read a box score. We don't
need the numbers. Yeah, you're right. Do you mind this?
Do you mind if I duck in a few more
less important items? Oh? Please, that's actually a great story.

Speaker 5 (29:49):
Actually, both of us are great stories about our lack
of academic careers. Anyway, else Where, the Chiefs resigning receiver
Marquise Hollywood Brown to a one year deal. Buffalo Bill's
defensive end Greg Russo has agreed to a four year
extension work a reported eighty million. Bengals resigning tied and
Mikasicki three year deal worth a reported twenty five million.
The New York Giants resign quarterback Tommy DeVito. Moments ago

(30:09):
number six. Saint John's in college basketball won at number
twenty Marquette in an overtime thriller eighty six to eighty four.
And finally, Jonas, we have a college club ice hockey
bench clearing brawl.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 5 (30:26):
Last night Kansas defeated ar Rival, Missouri, four to three
in their Border Battle club ice hockey showdown, when moments
after the final buzzer, a bench clearing brawl erupted. Here's
how it sounded from Kansas student announcer Ryan Cartman.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
Two one.

Speaker 6 (30:47):
That is a rock Talk jay Hawk border battle victory.
The jay Hawks pull it out as they.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
Swarmed the net. I've been old, but hold on, hold on.
We have a ruck.

Speaker 1 (30:59):
It's going on of the net.

Speaker 6 (31:00):
The Zoo's bench sentpies and this cook it ugly, folks,
big ruck is going on. We got punch of stoke,
We got pushes beached up.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
What is this?

Speaker 6 (31:08):
The UFC Wwe look at what's going on here? Playing
and zeb going at it. Look at that there going out?
What is going on here? There is at least four
different fights breaking out right now, folk, right arm, left
arms everywhere, goally fight right now, goalie fight going on.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
Nothing like a good club ice hockey battle. Back to you, hey,
listen if you're gonna throw it out, throw it down.
I feel bad for those broadcasters though, the announcers that
are like the impromptu, you know, just kind of you
gotta call the action now, like you you go from
just calling like some sort of a smaller level hockey
game to John Annick who calls the UFC like just

(31:48):
like that. You know, you gotta change course. Did a
great job, gotta be well rounded. Thank you. Ilo. It
is Jonas Knox here on Fox Sports Radio at the
Jonas Knox and X we are going to have another
edition of Do You Care coming up here shortly. That'll
be yours here on Fox Sports Radio. By the way,
guy tweeted in a short time ago said I finally

(32:09):
got my seventy year old parents that listened to you
this afternoon solely based on their anticipation to hearing those
not so favorable tweets. I for one, truly appreciate you.
I've been listening to you since it started on Saturday overnights.
Well listen, first off, thank you for sticking around this long.
That's you know, We've been doing this a long time
in various timeslots of the weekend, so appreciate it. Rob

(32:31):
you're the man, and if your parents aren't interested into
in the insulting tweets, we have not gotten any yet,
so I feel like those days are behind us. But
things change fast on the show and people get red
asses and pissy about certain things that are said on
the course of this show. So you can at the
Jonas Knox if you want to please rob seventy year

(32:54):
old parents who would like to listen to this and
like to hear some inappropriate tweets and commentary on the show.
All of that is yours here on social media, and
we'll get to those here at some point throughout the
course of this show from the ti Raq dot com studios.
But it is time for us next to do something
in which we tell you the brutal truth, some brutal

(33:15):
honesty about several stories in the world of sports and
beyond that you've heard over the past several days, and
it's yours right here on FSR.

little over ten minutes from now on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
There are so many stories in the world of sports,
and most of them are a complete waste of time
DMG reports. Let's get kinky. Here's some of the big
stories from the last week. But Jonas, the real question
is do you care?

Speaker 2 (34:31):
And look who's back the one and only Patrick sweek
And you want to know why? Because Bo Benson is
at Ryan Pershinger's bachelor party in Arizona and they dressed
up it off, says Connor mcgreth. That guy he's getting married,
So they dressed up a cactus as a stripper and
they've got it back in the hotel room and they're
each taking turns giving it a lap dance. So Patrick,

(34:53):
we appreciate you being able to step in and being
a professional here at the network.

Speaker 4 (34:57):
Of course, of course, what can I say? The actices
aren't my uh aren't my trend there?

Speaker 2 (35:02):
So looking that might either Rob a little moisturey now,
thank you, Rob oh Man.

Speaker 4 (35:09):
Well, thank you again Rob Parker for that. Well, Jonas,
I'm gonna know what's something we care about? Do you
care that lebron James confronted stephen A Smith on Thursday
Nights Lakers versus Knicks game to have some choice words
with stephen A about Bronnie.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
Oh god, no, I don't care about this. I don't care.
I don't care. It's just it. But this, it's just
more of the Oh, it's all the drama, all the
stuff attached to it, and it's Lebron and Bronnie and
it's Steven A. Smith having to speak about it the
next day and you know, break down why he was confronted.

(35:48):
It's just it's more the same crap. It's like little kid,
little teenage high school drama crap. And I just this
is the stuff that wears people out and and nobody
realized is that, Like people get tired of this crap,
and that's why people are kind of fed up with
the product at itself.

Speaker 4 (36:05):
Next all right, jonas Well, the Dodgers are apparently slowing
show Hayo Tani's pitching rehab while he picks back up
as a hitter so he could be a I quote,
an everyday hitter and then kind of pitch eventually in between.

Speaker 7 (36:20):
This is supposedly what they're saying.

Speaker 2 (36:21):
Do you care, Yeah, I do anything show Hao Tani related.
I care about, like even the fact that he can't
parallel park. I think is, look, he's one of the
greatest athletes we've seen, Like we've never seen anything like this,
and so if they feel like there's a way that
we can get the best of both worlds and we

(36:42):
can do it and get there, and this is the
path we're going to take to do so I'm in.
I just want to watch it.

Speaker 4 (36:48):
Next all right, jonas well? Do you also care that
Mark Cuban criticize the MAVs on the whole you know,
Luca deal for apparently not getting a better deal for the.

Speaker 7 (36:59):
Laker or the Lakers. Do you care about that.

Speaker 2 (37:01):
Yeah, of court. Listen, it's one of the worst deals
in the history of the league, and that was one
of the aspects of it that that people forget about
now because you see how great Luca's been over the
past few games and the Anthony Davis injury now Kyrie's injury.
They didn't get enough form. You could have gotten more
and they didn't.

Speaker 4 (37:20):
Next alrighty well, I gotten one for you, Jonas. Do
you care that there apparently is a Canadian man who
just recently ate God twenty five Carolina Reaper peppers in
five minutes counted five minutes, Jonas, Yeah, I do.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
I love spicy food. I had Indian food last night
and I get the whatever the the spiciest stuff is.
I get it. When it comes to the non, the
bread they serve you at Indian restaurants, I don't just
get like the garlic non or the regular. I get
the disco non they call it because it's got Serrano
peppers on it. I love spicy food. Anybody can push

(38:00):
the limits on this. I'm a big fan of so
good for him. And if somebody in the US wants
to take back that crown, since we're all into the
Canada versus US stuff. This is your opportunity next.

Speaker 4 (38:11):
Well, apparently signed Jonas Knox On for the next one
of hot ones.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
Apparently, I'll do that. I'll blow through every single flavor
they got in there, easy, I'll line that up. I'll
join you. Wind that up. Let's go live to our.
I have a thought on food inside a christ prophet
for the.

Speaker 8 (38:27):
Latest Chris Our Pride to Detroit Crue last last November
for the charity month, did a hot one stream and
they got like the whole nine yards, you know, the
the last dab and the bomb. It didn't end well
it is it is down That last one is just atrocious.

Speaker 2 (38:45):
Oh I'm into it. Yeah, I will sweat. I have
no problem sweating while I eat. Not not a problem
at all.

Speaker 8 (38:49):
I love the bomb is just literally just but like
the dab was fine, but the bomb, which was the
one right before, it is just going to just it's
it's it's down to hell. It's down to hell, A
good hell, but hell.

Speaker 4 (39:01):
Next all right, Well, speaking of flaming hell, here, guys, Jonas,
I know you're a huge nerd, because I know I'm
a huge nerd, But do you care that a Pokemon
shaped flaming hot Cheetoh my favorite Pokemon charzard, by the way,
sold for about what is the eighty seven thousand dollars?

Speaker 2 (39:21):
Is this a real story?

Speaker 7 (39:22):
Yes, no, it's real. I'm not lying or making this up.

Speaker 2 (39:25):
Somebody bought a cheeto for eighty seven thousand dollars.

Speaker 4 (39:27):
Does it shape like a Pokemon? I'll send you the
link right now in the text.

Speaker 7 (39:33):
I'm here to tell you right now, we don't care.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
Hold on a second, eighty seven thousand dollars. Somebody paid
for this.

Speaker 4 (39:44):
Eighty eight seven Comma eight four zero exact.

Speaker 2 (39:49):
Esis Christ Listen, look again, I'm not like a Pokemon.
If that's what you're new, that's what you're new, and
people can make money off it, No, no problem whatsoever. Dude.
If you're paying eighty seven grand for a cheeto shaped
or Pokemon shaped cheeto, first of all, you probably have

(40:10):
an eating disorder. Secondly, you've got a social life disorder,
and third you ought to be ashamed of yourself. Again,
no judging, but you are a loser. So there's the potential.
There is the potential of a very interesting destination for

(40:32):
a soon to be Hall of Famer in the NFL.
We'll get into that for you coming up here in
just a couple of moments from now, Jonas Knox Fox
Sports Radio. You can listen to the show on the
iHeartRadio app. You know, you can find us on hundreds
of affiliates all across the country and wherever you are
making us a part of your Saturday afternoon, we appreciate
you doing so. We will be taking you all the

(40:54):
way up until the end of this hour four pm
Eastern time, one o'clock Pacific, and we're doing it all
live from the entire studios tire rack dot com. We'll
help you get there, an unmatched selection, fast free shipping,
free road has a protection and over ten thousand recommended installers.
Tire rack dot com the way tire buying should be.
So we open up the show talking about the big

(41:14):
move in the NFL done yesterday, which was Genosmith traded
from the Seattle Seahawks to the Las Vegas Raiders for
a third round pick. It makes sense when you take
a step back and look at it, because the expectation
was the Raiders are going to be looking elsewhere. There's
going to be you know, a veteran quarterback brought in.

(41:35):
There's a few on the on the market free agents
after they struck out with Matthew Stafford, or do they
draft a guy. There's been conflicting reports as to how
much they like this draft class. So they go out,
they make the move, they bring in Genosmith, And it
makes sense from a Pete Carroll standpoint. Pete Carroll loves
Geno Smith and vice versa. Geno Smith credits Pete Carroll for,

(41:57):
you know, giving him his confidence back and all that.
So those two guys are you know, totally in sync
when it comes to coaching playing so like, so all
of that makes sense from a standpoint of the Geno
Smith portion of it and the Pete Carroll portion of it.
And then you know, as I was pointing out early,
it does kind of speak volumes about the fact that

(42:17):
Russell Wilson won a Super Bowl with Pete Carroll, and
Pete Carroll's like, yeah, I'll take the guy who didn't
like I'll go with the guy who didn't win a
Super Bowl with me over the guy who did. When
there's not really that much of a difference in the age,
you know, not really like there's production last year. You
can argue like Mayn maybe Russell was a little bit
more efficient, you know, based on you know, his plan.

(42:39):
But you know, it's just it's kind of interesting, kind
of weird how that works. So Gino Smith is in
Las Vegas, He's now a member of the Raiders, and
now the big question becomes, all right, so now Seattle
opens up. What does that do now? And so Ian
Rappaport of the NFL Network point this out earlier that

(43:01):
you know there's going to be some moving and shaking
when it comes to the NFL and kind of how
all this stuff shapes out and the quarterback position specifically,
And you know, when you start to look around and
see who could be ending up elsewhere, who could be
signing with who when it comes to the quarterback market,
all of a sudden, Sam Donald and Seattle could make

(43:25):
some sense. And the feeling is based on reports that
the Vikings in Sam Donald are expected to go their
separate ways, which should not be that much of a surprise.
In fact, the story that came out that they were
trying to work on a short term deal, I didn't
totally see that being how this was going to end up.
I just didn't. If you wanted to keep Sam Donald.

(43:47):
Why wouldn't you've just given him a franchise tag, Like,
why wouldn't you've just tagged him? But they did let
him walk. They didn't like the one year commitment for
that much money. It's like, okay, you know, so what
do you want to give him a two to three
year It just so it didn't make all that much sense.
And now it does feel like Sam Donald and the
Seahawks is a likely possibility. There's also the conversation of

(44:13):
what are the Vikings do because if Sam Donald's out
of there and they want to bring in a veteran quarterback,
there is some interest in bringing Daniel Jones back. But
Daniel Jones also has some interest from the Indianapolis Colts,
who want to create a quarterback competition between him and

(44:33):
you know all you know the storyline in Indianapolis and
all the like. You know, there is some potential interest there.
And the next thing you know, Daniel Jones he's got options.
He could stay with the Minnesota Vikings or he could
end up signing with the Indianapolis Colts and all of

(44:53):
a sudden, you've got yourself him Richardson going. So then
what do the Vikings. Do you know, like, where does
Minnesota land up with all this? You know, if they're
looking for a veteran quarterback, and then Ian Rappaport throws
this little thing in the midst of his breakdown. Oh,
by the way, Aaron Rodgers lurks. He's considering the Giants

(45:14):
with the Vikings as a dark horse. Now, both of
those are fascinating from this standpoint. Number one, the Giants,
the Giants signing Aaron Rodgers, even if they draft a
quarterback and say they want the quarterback to sit for

(45:35):
a year and just go with a veteran, Rogers said
during the year when there was speculation about him leaving
the Jets, he said, specifically during the year, you know,
I mean I just built a place out here. I'd
like to stick around. I like it out here. Well,
I mean, if that's the case, that works, and if

(45:58):
you are a hey, veteran quarterback in New York my
league neighbors is there we draft our quarterback of the future.
Rogers already knew going into if he was going to
come back with the Jets that was probably going to
be where he was at with the Jets next year.
You're going to be grooming again all of like that
one makes sense. That also makes sense from a standpoint

(46:21):
that the most perfect conclusion to all of this is
that Aaron Rodgers stays in New York, plays in the
same venue, and ends up having a great year opposite
of what the clown show organization and the way they

(46:42):
run things in New York with the Jets is gone.
Like that would be the ideal storyline and scenario to
finish up his career if he does stay in New York,
but it's with the Giants, and it's a microcosm of
that's the difference between the two organizations. And maybe the
Giants are like, you know what I mean, we haven't

(47:02):
been able to beat anybody outside of a kind of
a fluky playoff rount a couple of years ago. So
we haven't really beat anybody, and we kind of have
egg on our face with the way the whole Saquon
Barkley thing played out on Hard Knocks and all that.
So why don't we just go to let's just play
the hits. Why don't we just clown the Jets again.
We're always good at that. Yeah, let's just climb the Jets.

(47:25):
They're always the little brother in this city. Anyways, Yeah,
we'll just do that. Hey, Aaron, come on down, man,
come to a real organization. You don't need to worry
about that second class situation over there. That would be ideal.
The Minnesota possibility for Rogers is fascinating from the standpoint
that you go, that's a lot of talent that you

(47:47):
can work with. And if you're still like listen, last
year was JJ McCarthy coming off the injury. If Kevin
O'Connell and the Vike and the Vikings are like, look,
the reason we want to bring we would want to
have brought Sam Donald back is because we still want
JJ to sit healthy for a year with the option

(48:09):
to go to him at some point if need be well.
Sam Donald's gone and Daniel Jones has got a real
opportunity to be the long term starter in Indianapolis based
on how they feel about Anthony Richardson. Then Aaron Rodgers
and the Vikings makes a ton of sense for Minnesota
and makes a ton of sense for Aaron Rodgers. You

(48:33):
don't think Rogers would sign up for all. Wait, so
I get to go back to the division that I
know so well and I get to work with Justin
Jefferson and Jordan Addison and all of that talent that's
in Minnesota, with Kevin O'Connell, who's one of the great
play callers that we've seen. The appeal for Rogers and

(48:53):
the Rams was getting to work with Sean McVay and
being in LA. Yeah, you don't get LA, but you're
playing in and you're working with somebody who's from the
Sean McVay system. I know that it's going to be weird,
that it's basically mirroring exactly what Brett Favre did. I
got it it is. It is kind of strange, and

(49:16):
maybe there's some people who go, look, just let JJ
McCarthy run the show. But if Minnesota just wanted to
have a veteran there somebody who could kind of show
him the ropes. Hey, he'll be the starter, and if
at some point there's an injury, we'll go with JJ McCarthy.
But we still want him to sit and watch for
a year and not watch from a rehab portion of

(49:38):
the facility where he's gotta men, you know, get his
knee fixed and go through another surgery and all that. Like,
we don't want him to watch from the training room,
we want him to watch from the sideline, Rogers to
Minnesota makes a ton of sense, makes a ton of sense.
So while we're looking around going hey, the Giants would

(49:59):
be fun because it's New New York, he stays put
and it's kind of, you know, clowning the New York Jets,
rapping forth throwing out, hey, Minnesota is a dark horse
for Rogers, Like, is it likely? Maybe not, Maybe they
just want to go with Daniel Jones and give him
another opportunity. But if Daniel Jones sees this as a
chance for him to go start and he likes his

(50:19):
chances better in Indianapolis, where clearly they're not sold on
Anthony Richardson, which is why their GM and their front
office spoke about, hey, we're opening this thing up. I
could totally see Rogers going to the Vikings and playing
with all of that talent with one of the better
play callers and coaches in the NFL, and giving JJ

(50:41):
McCarthy another year to watch and learn and groom him
while he goes back to the NFC North. There's fun
possibilities for Aaron Rodgers all around. Jonas Knoxy are on
Fox Sports Radio at the Jonas Knox on X at
the Jonas Knox on X, and you can hang out
with us as always on the iHeartRadio app. Peter writes
in with Xavier worthies mugshot and says, young X, you

(51:08):
need to do us all a favor and strangle this
skank to death. Jonas Knox like one of the only
fans bleeps. He's bleeping you bleep. Big D writes in, Hey, Joni,

(51:31):
jyoff you super bleeping boardop. Reporting on douche on douche
crime is about as entertaining as watching effing paint dry
at the Jonas Knox on X. That is, at the
Jonas Knox on X, and again you can hang out

(51:54):
with us as always on the iHeartRadio app. By the way,
I've been calling a lot of things on this show.
Never a skank, first time for everything, So we'll cross
that off the bucket list. I mean, I have actually
an entire bucket list here. Skag Sweet coming up next

(52:20):
here from the ti raq dot Com Studios. Despite what
you want to say and how you feel about it,
a Hall of Famer was completely right, totally right. We'll
explain why that's yours here on FSR.

Speaker 9 (52:37):
All right, first, off. Jonas Knox can.

Speaker 2 (52:40):
Suck it Jonas Knox, Fox Sports Radio. So we are
going to get to uh, somebody thought, well hall of famer.
I mean, there should be some respect given here, but
we are going to get to a Hall of famer
who is right, despite what anybody wants to say. He

(53:00):
was absolutely correct. He was absolutely right. We will get
into that for you again. Coming up here, just a
couple of moments from now here for the tire Raq
dot com studios. Now we must address something that was
heard before we went to break. So Chris Purfet played
a sound drop that was handed to him by Ricky,
who helps out with the Veto. Ricky and Veto do

(53:22):
the imaging here on the network. They actually make us
sound good.

Speaker 8 (53:25):
Former Jonas Knox Show producer Ricky Herrera.

Speaker 2 (53:28):
Yeah, but listen, he was way way too big for
his bridges. Heah, oh yeah here, and so Ricky and
him and Veto, if you like how the network sounds,
it's because of them, it's not us, I can assure you.
So they actually make us sound halfway decent from time
to time, depending on how much you've had to drink.
And so Ricky, I guess provided Chris with a brand nude.

(53:51):
Can you play the drop and then tell me where
this drop came from, because I'd never heard it before
we had gone.

Speaker 9 (53:55):
To break all right, first off, Jonas knocks, so I.

Speaker 8 (54:01):
Haven't independently confirmed this, and as a journalist, trust but verify.
So I haven't done my job there. But Ricky's story
to me is that he had dug this up because
he was in the studio listening to The Odd Couple
with Kelvin Washington and our old friend Rob Parker and
had said that someone had called into on a take
about Lebron. But before he started, he made sure to

(54:22):
mention Jonas Knox.

Speaker 9 (54:24):
All right, first off, Jonas Knox can.

Speaker 2 (54:27):
Suck it, and then went straight into complaining about Lebron. James. Now,
not only do I have nothing to do with that
time slot, it's literally the complete opposite of the day
that I work. Like our show Pacific time is three

(54:48):
to six am. Their show is four to seven pm.
Literally like complete opposites. Well, and somehow I catch astray
in a time slot I've got nothing to do with.

Speaker 8 (55:02):
My only working theory I have, Jonas, is that this
person had a beef with you for either from earlier
in the day or from your sometimes filling in on
AM five seventy in Los Angeles for Rogan and Rodney.
Oh okay, but even then that's not the same time
slot either, so he maybe just held on to it
for a while.

Speaker 2 (55:21):
Well, listen, if we're gonna be fair here, let let's
not pretend like I'm the only one that goes on
the blowtorch AM five seventy LA Sports and is critical
of Lebron or anything on the Lakers. Petros and money
annihilate them any moment they get. Fred and Rodney aren't
exactly always kind. I mean they'll be, They'll be brutally

(55:43):
honest if need be. So like I'm not the only one.
So the fact that I caught as straight, first of all,
I think it's I think it's also the fact that
Rob Parker has poisoned the well when it comes to mind,
he he has stained my great name in this industry.
That's the real issue, you and me both. So I
blame Rob Parker when all let's fail. Wow, chances are

(56:05):
you going to be correct? So, by the way, I
am scheduled to see Rob Parker later on tonight, so
we'll see how that goes, I don't trust me, trust me, you.

Speaker 8 (56:18):
Know, am I left some Punchke's here for Fat Tuesday,
and I was I was hoping some would get to Rob,
but I haven't heard from him. And form one understand
Cavino Rich probably ate all of them. I have no
idea what a punch g is, but it's it's Polish
donuts for Fat Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (56:38):
This is This doesn't surprise me. This was like a
whole episode for me this week. Yeah, wow, I do
know this Coming up here at about ten minutes from now,
we are going to talk about a team in the
NFL is really going through it right now. I mean
all sorts of like weird emotions, weird things are happening
with this franchise. That'll be yours here again in about
ten minutes from now here on FM. So speaking of

(57:02):
and this was one of the discussions and do you
care that we did last hour, the you know, the
the Lebron stephen A Smith argument that they had on
the court because Lebron wasn't happy about his criticism of
his kids. It's all it's all the same, just echo
chamber of drama and just all the same stuff that's.

Speaker 7 (57:23):
Going on yay.

Speaker 2 (57:25):
And so a few nights ago, a couple of nights ago,
Charles Barkley was on TNT and at halftime of the
Lakers Knicks game, which was a great game, by the way,
and the Lakers have been fantastic, Charles Barkley decided to
just share his thoughts on the coverage of the NBA

(57:46):
right now and had this to say.

Speaker 10 (57:48):
I saw a food idiot on TV talking about the Lakers.
Save the NBA saved him. Yeah, yeah, he's an idiot
of food, but he know he is. What's his name, Shack,
which you're talking about, Ken?

Speaker 1 (58:00):
He said the Lakers.

Speaker 10 (58:02):
First of all, the Lakers have had a great two weeks,
he said, the Lakers say the NBA season, that's because
them foods on the other network, which we're gonna be
working for next year, that's all they talk about. Let
me tell y'all something. First of all, I want all
the smoke. That's the when I walked by the grid
yard or anything like that. I don't whistle what I
want by the great like that man still in that one.

(58:23):
The Lakers are doing great, got a long way to go.
But the reason the season has been going great for
the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Y'all just
want to talk about the Warriors and the Lakers. They're
both doing great. Don't get me wrong. If I turn
out to be wrong, I got no problem with that.

(58:44):
But y'all are idiots because y'all talk about the Lakers
and the Warriors all the time. Y'all know the Cleveland
Cavaliers have won twelve straight games, so Oklahoma CID have
got the MVP and they all on fire. Y'all have
talk about who's in shucking place. That's what's the reason
I get pissed. Hey, the Lakers are doing great. I

(59:04):
don't mind being wrong.

Speaker 2 (59:07):
So that was Charles Barkley airing out the coverage of
the NBA. Now, many people took victory laps because the
Lakers came back and won that game in overtime, and
so Charles Barkley had to you know, oh listen, boy,
what does he know? And see totally missing the point
of exactly what he's explaining. You've got better teams who

(59:33):
have been better for longer, and it gets a fraction
of the coverage. And then the stuff that does get
covered is the stuff of Steven A. Versus Lebron, which honestly,
who cares. Lebron didn't like that Steven A said something
about his kid neat. But this all this does is

(59:55):
fuel their coverage. It's this perpetual cycle of well play.
And now, of course you've got Celtics Lakers later tonight,
and that's gonna get all the coverage. Like did you
see last night? Lebron? Like made history? Did you see
it last like like never been done before in the

(01:00:17):
history of the league, Like last night, Yeah, Lebron, can
you it was unbelievable Lebron thirty twenty twenty. Yay, thirty
twenty twenty. Unbelievable performance first and oh wait, that wasn't him,

(01:00:37):
that was Jokic. Oh okay, oh no, well yeah, well
we'll get to that. Yeah, we'll get to yeah whatever,
we'll get to that later. Don't worry to the others. Hey, hey,
what about a Lebron or Stephen As. It's like, dude,
come on like like people like I'm here to tell
you right now, we don't care. And I can tell

(01:00:59):
you this from personal experience, and I've talked about this before.
The other issue to this is when the Lakers are
back and they're playing. Well, all of these like manhole
covers pop up from around the streets of LA and
they're not like the homeless that crawled underneath a sewer

(01:01:22):
in Venice and then popped up in downtown Like no, no, no, no,
Like these are all local media disguised as media that
are really Laker fanboy and fangirls who just want to
push the product and push the narrative. That's all they
want to do. That's all they want to do. It's
the same people who were over Lebron and fed up

(01:01:44):
with Lebron and fed up with the crap and fed
like they had Lebron fatigue. And if they say they don't,
they are lying. They're lying. They're literally in the midst
of one of the greatest runs that we've seen in
recent sports. It's happening here with maybe the greatest talent

(01:02:08):
in the history of the sport. Oh yeah, that but
that's the Dodgers and that show Hey o Tani and like,
uh yeah, yeah, but what about the That's the point
Nobody wants to like kind of look beyond the trees
and like, oh what else is out there? It's like, well,
I don't know, if you like like right off stadium way,

(01:02:28):
there's like one of the greatest stories and greatest runs
we've ever seen. No even like you know that's going
to get the fraction of the coverage. And so while
people want to say, well, the Lakers won that game,
they proved Charles wrong. No, no, no, they they It's
been proving right and it's been happening for years. The
Calves are in the midst of a twelve game winning
streak o case. He's been the best team in the

(01:02:50):
NBA from start to finish. They're favored to win a
title like you just had a thirty two twenty game,
never seen it before, And instead it's man, was Lebron
out of line for approaching steven A Smith like that?
Or should steven A keep his kid's name out of

(01:03:12):
his mouth? It's like, dude, that's why people get tired
of this crap. It's just the same old discussion over
and over again, and it's not stopping anytime soon. Jonas
Knox here Fox Sports Radio at the Jonas Knocks on
X at the Jonas Knocks on X and you can
hang out with us as always on the iHeartRadio app. Right.
So coming up next here from the tiraq dot com studios.
There's a team in the NFL that's really going through it.

(01:03:34):
They are really going through it. We'll explain who they
are right here on FSR. But for all the latest,
ladies and gentlemen, High Atop has thrown high atop the
mountain of sports talk radio. A man who judges you
because he can, or any man looks down upon you

(01:03:55):
because he should. Yeah, he's the one. He's the only, Sir,
Isaac long Crown, gotta be fair.

Speaker 5 (01:04:02):
We will have a Jonas update adjective update coming up.
I know you'll be looking forward to that. Sweet Yeah,
that's what we call teas in the business shownents, So
stay tuned for that busy day in the NFL. All
too busy for the Kansas City Chiefs because Chiefs receiver

(01:04:23):
Xavier Worthy was arrested Friday night in Williamson County, Texas,
that's just outside of Austin, on a felony charge of
assault against a family or household member by impeding their
breathing or circulation. Now today, Worth these attorneys issued a
statement reading quote, we are working with law enforcement to
ensure they have the benefit of the totality of the

(01:04:45):
circumstances that led to this allegation. The complainant was recently
asked to vacate mister Worthy's residents upon discovery of her infidelity.
She refused to do so and made a number of
extortive efforts prior to resorting to this baseline allegation. Unquote again,
that is a statement from Worthy attorneys. Elsewhere, the Chiefs
resigning receiver Marquise Hollywood Brown to a one year deal.

(01:05:08):
Buffalo Bill's defensive end Greg Russeau has agreed to a
four year extension worth a reported eighty million dollars. The
Cincinnati Bengals resigning tight end Mikasicki on a three year
deal worth a reported twenty five million. The New York
Giants resigned quarterback Tommy DeVito. College basketball today, Number six
Saint John's and twentieth rank Marquette were tied at eighty
four in the final seconds of overtime. Here's John Minko

(01:05:32):
on lear Field Lewis.

Speaker 11 (01:05:34):
Right away three bouncing off backeyron No goodru Dot comes off,
take it away by Wilchatco looks it.

Speaker 7 (01:05:39):
Up and good at the mother.

Speaker 2 (01:05:41):
Thanks Saint John's wits. How about that?

Speaker 11 (01:05:44):
The Red Storm come away with the victory here in
Milwaukee eighty six to eighty four.

Speaker 2 (01:05:51):
Wow, all right, now what I love that Saint John's
is good. Yeah, I really do great for college basketball?
You're right? What how like, when's the next time Tino
is gonna wear that white suit? Better? It better be
sooner rather than later. Oh god, by the way, it's
but do you need any more proof that he's one
of the all time great coaches, No doubt about it. Now. Objectively,

(01:06:13):
his extra curriculars and you know what he how he
chooses to spend his time at an Italian restaurant. It's
not my business. It's not my Listen. Some people like
their breadsticks with Marinara, some people else like. It's not
I'm not here to judge Isaac. I'm simply talking about
what's happening on the floor here.

Speaker 5 (01:06:28):
That's a more a.

Speaker 2 (01:06:35):
You're a real class act. You know that. I'm trying.
I'm trying to do a professional.

Speaker 5 (01:06:38):
Sports so he PoTA said, Kettle, I was just I
was just going over I was just going over a song.
You would listen doing an Italian restaurant. Get your mind
out of the gutter anyway, with that we move on
to your latest Twitter mentions. We're I'm wondering, since we

(01:06:59):
what did you cross off earlier of your list, your
gank bucket list?

Speaker 2 (01:07:04):
Skank?

Speaker 5 (01:07:04):
Oh I did pronounce that, Okay, so you re called
that for the first time. The latest from Paully, whose
avatar is the logo of Colt forty five beer, which
I respect for. I have respect for that, and unlike
the majority of your trolls, I dare say he actually
has over one thousand followers. Anyway, he posts and I quote,

(01:07:25):
suck at Joe Nads. We are deporting your pimple, beliep.
You can take Vigo and Mickey with you unquote Now,
who's Vigo and Mickey?

Speaker 2 (01:07:37):
Not sure? Okay, I'm looking up a cold forty five
right now? Do they sell that? Are they better with
the late Billy d Williams promoted that? Right? Isn't he
the coolest you think wines of the world? Right up
the road has cold forty five and I'm willing to
be your canary down down that mine shaft. Hey, by
the way, a forty ounce of Colt forty five it's

(01:08:01):
like two bucks.

Speaker 5 (01:08:02):
Okay, okay, I'm seeing it. Wait a minute, we have
some breaking news. Yeah, Billy D.

Speaker 2 (01:08:09):
Williams is still with us. Oh you tried to kill him.
Way to go, Isaac, Oh, my god, way to go.

Speaker 5 (01:08:14):
I used to make fun of all these people who
would accidentally mention a celebrity like they were dead and
they were alive. So I would like to take this
opportunity to apologize to Billy D. Williams. He is very
much with us. He is eighty seven years old. Isaac
Longcroner regrets the area you go. I'm gonna host a
Cold forty five a hundred of him.

Speaker 2 (01:08:35):
Way to go, Isaac, get that man of Cold forty five.
He's killing people that aren't even dead. You really, you've
had yourself a hell of a show, Isaac. That always
seems to happen when you're around it is that. Hey, look,
Mike Harmon gave me one of the great compliments I've
ever gotten when he said, you have this innate ability
to bring out the worst and everybody y're around.

Speaker 1 (01:08:56):
You do that?

Speaker 4 (01:08:58):
Is it?

Speaker 2 (01:08:58):
That is a compliment. I'm like, hey, we'll put you know,
I mean, you bring it out of people on social media? Yeah,
you know, like somebody's got to do it. So look
at you, so who knew? And I look hey cold
forty five to Billy D. Williams. Unbelievable. What a show, right,

(01:09:22):
thank you, Isaac. It is Jonas Knox here on Fox
Sports Radio at the Jonas Knocks on X. By the way,
we are going to have the scraps coming up, things
we've not had a chance to get to in the
world of sports, and beyond that'll be yours here in
about ten minutes from now. I do find this kind
of funny. This is kind of interesting, actually interesting, funny
all of that. So, the Seattle Seahawks obviously trade away

(01:09:45):
Geno Smith. There's some talk that they're going in the
direction of Sam Donald potentially, and you go, okay, well sure,
all right, Sam Donald, Seattle fine. And then like you're
just seeing what's happened the past couple of days, and
there's like a roller coaster of emotions, you know, like
and it's like this happens during what you know, tragedies

(01:10:06):
or triumphs in your life where there's just like this
roller coaster of emotions. She's like, oh my god. At
the edd of it, you're just exhausted, Like if you're
the if you're a Seahawks fan, You got to be
kind of exhausted at this point over what's happened in
the past forty eight to seventy two hours. You just
traded away, you're starting quarterback. You have no idea what

(01:10:29):
you're doing at that position moving forward as of this point,
and it's kind of, you know, the most important position
potentially in sports. On top of the fact that your
best wide receiver wants to be traded, he went public

(01:10:50):
with his trade demand, and your GM is most upset
because he did so on this same day that they
were trying to honor Tyler Lockett, who has spent a
decade with the franchise, who they just released. That's a lot, man,

(01:11:14):
There's a lot going on. It's like that donut shop
scene in Boogie Knights, and when we bring up Bogie
Nights and bring up donut like listen, like legitimate donut shop, right,
This is not like a figure of speech or you know,
guy goes into the donut shop. He's sitting there trying
to get a donut, and then don Cheetle's there at

(01:11:37):
the cash register. All of a sudden, the guy walks
in to rob the place. Guy sitting at the table
shoots the guy who tries to rob the place. The
guy shoots the donut shop owner, and then the guy
who shot the guy trying to rob the place also
gets shot. Don Cheeto's standing there with the donut shop

(01:11:58):
owner's brains all over his torsh in his suit, and
then he sees the cash register open and goes, what
hell do I do? It just takes the money and
opens up a stereo shop. Like, if you're a Seahawks fan,
you gotta be looking around, going what are we supposed
to do? You have no idea? Like literally just a
complete roller coaster of emotions as you're standing there trying

(01:12:20):
to figure out what the hell has happened to your franchise.
So good luck, better days ahead because free agency is
right around the corner at the Jonas Knocks on X.
At the Jonas Knox on X coming up next here
from the tire Rack dot Com Studios, we are going
to close up shop with the scraps. It is yours
right here on FSR Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio coming

(01:12:44):
up a little over twelve minutes from now here from
the tire Rack dot Com Studios. Make sure you stick around.
Alex Curry, Carmen Batali will take over these airwaves. Also,
a friendly reminder of the Daylight Savings is tomorrow, so
you're gonna lose an hour of sleep, so you know,
don't make the mistake I made back in the day
when I used to be sitting at a bar at

(01:13:06):
two am and it'd be three am and be like, oh, whatever,
it's still two am. No it ain't, because you got
to get up the next day. You got to get
up and that day arrives pretty quick. So that'll be again.
Stick around. Carmen and Alex will have all sorts of
sports stuff ready as they get you prepared to do
it the right way when it comes to Daylight Savings
tomorrow and what to expect from the big game in

(01:13:26):
the NBA later on tonight, which I'm sure we'll be
talked about at nauseum to Charles Barkley's liking on you know,
the other network and others. So that'll be yours here
again a little over ten minutes from now, which, by
the way, Alex and Carmen I will say this. Carmen's

(01:13:47):
been around the NFL circles for a long time. I
know Alex has covered baseball for a long time, and
with NFL free agency and spring training right around the corner,
don't just get don't just get caught up in the
NBA debates like they know their stuff, and so all
sorts of that conversation coming up as they get you
set here again a little over ten minutes from now

(01:14:08):
from the tire rack dot Com studios, we are going
to close up shop with these scraps coming up here
just a couple of moments from now. First, though, a
reminder that shortly after the show, the podcast will be
going up, So if you've missed any of that show,
be sure to check out the pod. Search Fox Sports
Radio wherever you get your podcasts. Be sure to also follow,
rate and review the pod. Again, just search Fox Sports
Radio wherever you get your podcasts. You'll see this show

(01:14:28):
posted right after we get off the air.

Speaker 1 (01:14:32):
Jonas, you moron, How could you not get to these stories?
You morons?

Speaker 2 (01:14:38):
Are there scraps? All right? Patrick Sweeker, What the hell
have we not had a chance to get to thus far?

Speaker 4 (01:14:43):
All right, well, Jonas, I'm gonna go with this. There's
a huge world record break here. Jonas, did you know
that there's a man that folded and flew a paper
airplane in five point one seconds to break a world record.

Speaker 2 (01:14:59):
Wow, dude, Like what do you like Like I don't look,
I'm not gonna like try to criticize the fact that
he can do it. Yeah, Like that's I mean, that's
anybody who's like I'm terrible at paper airplanes, like anything
like arts and crafts that was always awful at, like
always off at, Like Hey, here's like here's ten popsicle

(01:15:20):
sticks and some Elmer's glue and a piece of paper,
build us a yacht and it's like, uh what, So
I'm terrible at it. So like all credit to being
for him to be able to do this in five
point one two seconds. I just my question is like
how do you how do you figure out that you
can do that? You know what I mean, Like, like
what are you doing that? That's like where You've honed

(01:15:44):
in on. Hey, this is what I'm going to focus on.
You know, I'm into it. Like it's like, you know
a kid who's collecting rocks and he wants to be
a geologist when he gets old. I get that, but like,
at what point is this guy making paper airplanes? He's like,
you know what, what's the record to do one of
these things? Because I swear to Christ, I've never to
look at that ever, like never once sought like, hey,

(01:16:04):
how fast can you make a paper airplane? Never thought,
never one never, one time in my life have I
ever thought to do that. So credit to him. I
just it wouldn't be something that would be in my
daily routine, to be honest with you.

Speaker 7 (01:16:16):
Flow weird, I mean latent ability apparently.

Speaker 2 (01:16:20):
Okay, I mean look, I mean all right, you know
it's like these people that go, hey, I can I
can tie a cherry step into a knot.

Speaker 7 (01:16:29):
It's like.

Speaker 2 (01:16:31):
Get a job you?

Speaker 1 (01:16:36):
Oh cool?

Speaker 2 (01:16:36):
Can you hold a pen? Or can you go online
and fill out an application? Why don't you do that instead?
Just weird? All right? What else we got?

Speaker 7 (01:16:43):
All right?

Speaker 4 (01:16:44):
Well, apparently so Yankees dy's Garrett Cole. Uh well, there's
a little more concern now because he kind of banged
up his you know, his pitching elbow sorely. Seeking a
second opinion, it may be a little more concerning.

Speaker 9 (01:16:57):
Now.

Speaker 7 (01:16:59):
That's just the thing on the Yankees right now.

Speaker 2 (01:17:01):
All right. Yeah, so there's that, there's John Carlos Stanton,
and this is why I look, and I know, like
you know, people want to get you know, just like
hone in on all these other stories out there. And
this is why I pointed out that Alex Curry has
been around baseball for a long time. There are baseball
stories that are happening right now that are really fascinating,

(01:17:21):
one of which being the Yankees, because you remember when Aaron
Boone came out and he said, well, you know, if
we want a World Series, we would handle it better
something along those lines than the Dodgers did, because he
was unhappy that Joe Kelly called him out or whatever.
And I kind of speculated that maybe Aaron Boone deep
down kind of new, oh, that was our one shot,

(01:17:43):
like we really had an opportunity to do something there,
and we didn't close the deal. And we didn't close
the deal because we were sloppy and we didn't look prepared.
And now you've got Garrett Cole dealing with stuff jun
Carlos Stanton's got two bad elbows, not one, He's got
two that he's dealing with. It just you lose out

(01:18:03):
on Juan Soto, who apparently now the story is well,
other teams offered more money, but he chose the Mets
because of the atmosphere there. It just feels like we're
already off to a horrible start for the Yankees, a
team who's trying to get back to a World Series.
What else we got?

Speaker 4 (01:18:19):
Patrick, all right, we got this one. So London Bridge
may not be falling on this, but they are in
fact racing. So on National Pancake Day, they were literally
in London had people literally in costumes with frying pans
flipping pancakes in a race. And yes they were flipping
the actual pancakes.

Speaker 2 (01:18:41):
Like there's gotta be something else you can do with
your time, Like I swear and I don't look. I
do things that people probably think, oh man, Like isn't
there a better way to spend your time? Like I'll
play Monster Trucks with my son for like an hour,
Like we'll just you know, it's just our thing. It's
father son time. He loves it. That's the phase he's
into right now. That's if my son ever said to me, Hey, Dad,

(01:19:02):
I want to go run down the street flipping pancakes,
I literally be like, hey, have fun, son. I changed
the locks while he was gone and literally throw his
things out, like there's gotta be better things you can
do with your time than flipping pancakes running down the street.
I'm sorry shown us, son of a bitch.
