Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports. Oh what is going on?
Welcome in, Happy Sunday to you. College basketball on the brain.
It is Selection Sunday. But first we look back to
last night and yesterday. A couple of big games going on,
these conference tournaments winding down. How about Auburn, They've lost
(00:24):
three of four. Now they lose to Tennessee, Florida sticking
with the SEC, Florida crushed Alabama and then one of
the best endings yesterday depending on which team you met,
maybe you disagree, but Michigan going coast to coast with
a last second layup by Trey Donaldson as they beat
(00:45):
Maryland and avoid a big time collapse. Had a big
lead and then they needed a close to a buzzer
beater to win. But some crazy stuff going on. Jeff
and Crack, Good morning to you guys. What did you
thinking about hoops yesterday?
Speaker 2 (01:00):
I have come to the conclusion that the only reason
that we stomach watching college basketball is team's inability to
close in the last five minutes of games. Otherwise it'd
be unwatchable. It'd be un watchable. We would not watch
as much college basketball if it wasn't for the team's
inability to finish these games. I mean, it's just like
(01:23):
horrendous sometimes to watch these games for the first thirty
five minutes and the last five minutes, all madness breaks
out because teams are scrambled, like scrambling to make shots.
I mean, even the the Akron finish last night, that
that kid came down the court, they they missed, they
missed the ball. Somehow got a fast break with five
seconds left. I didn't know how that happened because normally
(01:44):
everyone's running to to get a rebound, all five guys. Nope,
we got a fast breakout here. You mentioned the Michigan finish.
I mean, Maryland, could you you try to play defense?
I mean, can you can you try a little bit?
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Like yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:57):
But you know that reminded me of an I'm a
Ucla Brewing basketball fan. I mean Oregon and Ucla. But
in nineteen ninety five when tires Eddie went coast to coast, right,
but at least the boys did had someone in front
of him or Missouri. It was Missouri's at Boise State,
and like he went behind the back and made a
tough show. This guy just went straight from the end
line to the basket without a single person getting in
(02:19):
front of him, and even the lampet was even that hard.
I'm sure he makes that way up nine and a
half hundred times like it wasn't even like there was
no challenge whatsoever. We should go back by the way
to having home courts like in nineteen ninety five Beavy
Boys home floor. Yeah, the home floor. Whoever hosted the tournament,
they used their home courts. So like Boise State UCLA
(02:41):
number one, seeing the country playing Missouri in the in
the round the around thirty two, and they're on the
Boisse of State's blue and orange.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Baskets courts to corporate now it's the crazies.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
So look look it personally, I had like an up
and down conference tournament weekend. You know some of these
games games. Let's do Michigan for example. So he was
last week out on Michigan. I'm stunned. They couldn't score
for months straight, for a month straight, they couldn't score.
Now all of a sudden, they are the prime Curry Warriors,
(03:12):
can't miss a shot, and I do like Wisconsin today probably,
but again, this is the time of year where this
when you have these standalone games, you can't do the
public sharp thing, like I think the public's probably be
on Wisconsin too today. Crack. I like Wisconsin. I don't
have a wager yet for that game. I'm sort of
hoping to see where it settles out. But Michigan, I
(03:34):
don't think they're any good. I don't think. I just don't,
and they are playing well right now, so maybe I'm
the full.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
Hey, good morning guys. I was just pulling up my
odd screen because I you know, I usually have it
going earlier in the morning at six am here. Usually
I'll just send it like get up, I got up
at five point fifteen. I would turn it on. But
you're right, today is not that day where you know
you're looking for great line moves early in the morning,
that this is a pretty efficient when they put this
(04:01):
up last night, it's not. It's not that hard to
come up with single lines compared to when you're coming
up with you know, forty lines or whatever. It may
be some really good conference tournament games yesterday Maryland Michigan
came down to the wire. Michigan won in the last
second on the coast to coast lay up. Like, but
like Jeff said, you know, is this Michigan team for real,
I understand same thing. Let's go let's go over to Florida.
(04:24):
Florida look really really good, like maybe the best team
in the country. I mean, it's interesting what Auburn also
had the number one seed locked but now have literally
lost three or the last four, so they're probably the
probably still a number one seed. But you never want
to be limping into the tournament though. Speaking of limping
into the tournament, the best player in the country, Cooper Flagg,
(04:48):
sat out the last two games with an ankle injury.
So will he be one hundred percent? Uh, you know
in a week we'll see here, Well, Doke even need
him in the first two games though, first two games.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Here's my thing with with the Cooper flag is he's
definitely not going to play the first game, right. I
don't think they need him for the second game. I
would imagine. Look, I'm gonna pull up the bracketology now,
but last last week, because we're talking about you know,
Duke was minus one fifty to make the final four.
I thought that was a good wager before the tournament started,
because you think about doing me a thirty point favorite
(05:22):
in game one, a twenty point favorite in game two,
but game two was potentially Yukon, which has the ability
at times to play really well. Right like that kind
of scared me. So I think he could be up
for the second game, guys, but I think they would
have tried not to play him if if they could,
because he had They don't need him in game one, obviously,
they should need him in game two. Right now, bracketology
(05:44):
puts yeah, puts Yukon right there. So I mean, I
think he'd be up in that second game Game one obviously.
Right now it has American versus Mount Saint Mary's in
the sixteen sixteen game. It's unnecessary, crack. Can I ask
you a favor from you?
Speaker 3 (05:59):
Sure you are?
Speaker 2 (06:00):
You're very good at sending wagers, right, It's it's it's
you're very good. We very much thank you for that.
If we don't tell you, thank you tonight when these
numbers drop for the conference sarment, can you just like
you just like to send that push text over to us.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
You know what, it's amazing. I wasn't even gonna talk
about this. You brought something up. So I'm doing a
few things tonight. One, I'm working with one of the
best guys in the entire world that knows line movements
in this particular uh sport at this particular time of year.
So I only work with him during March madness, and
(06:39):
it's only during the first uh you know, right right
after selection Sundays or after the lines come up. UH.
So I am going to be working on him. But
here's the scary thing, guys. And depends on what time
of the what part of the country you're in. I'm
here in Vegas. I do not have access to some
of the apps that may have the first lines out
in the country, and that bothers me tremendously. So it's
(07:04):
a battle every year. Oh, to see who comes out
with the lines first. Is you know, we here in Vegas,
we have a sports book call called Westgate that had
all of the playoffs. I gotta tell you, the NFL playoffs.
They were first to come to market with like the DraftKings,
the Fanduels. They were the first people in Westgate here
and it was a place on in a far off
(07:25):
place called bet Online. Then the rest of the sportsbooks,
you know, started putting lines up, even the Great Circle here.
They were very careful. I'll say, I'll just tell you
that they were ten minutes after So tonight, I don't
know what's going to going to happen, but I know
one thing. Those first lines, those first numbers that come out,
(07:46):
and you would think it would be pretty easy to
come out with a line, but that may not be
the case. Here. There's gonna be some line movement and
I will text over what the market shows. Hopefully you
guys have to dogs in the first half, baby, Yeah,
that's one of my strategy of force for some of
the big things, for some of the big dogs. Yeah,
(08:07):
first half, the ugly teams that no one wants to play,
you know, but anyway, Yeah, so it's gonna be a way.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
You know what's funny is UH? I got I say
over on the Sunday text thread.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
The uh.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
It's like the official slogan for March madness, Like going
into March madness. You're seeing in these conference championships the
warm up jerseys that say nothing easy, and I can't
help but think about betting immediately like that, that's the
slogan of sports betting. I couldn't believe it last night, Jeff.
You're talking about some of these teams the inability to
(08:41):
close out games, and I was on Grand Canyon minus
four and a half and they're winning comfortably. They're up
by eleven. We're in the final minute and Utah Valley
is just bombing threes and there was I've never seen this.
Utah Valley made a three and there was a foul,
(09:01):
and so it's like, okay, this is an and one.
Nope and two he came up. It was a five
point play. I have no idea. Like a guy was
just going up for an offensive rebound, oh you know,
and he got pushed.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
In the back foul and the rebound.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Yeah, it's a foul on the rebound. Yeah, but it
was like an and one. So it was an and two.
I've never seen an and t before. You don't know
if I'm late to the party or home or no.
It got home. But it was a sweat, like you
had to dodge a few bullets at the end.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
Kiss, Look, the three point shooting has changed so much. Yesterday,
I took Akron in game to I think I took
him live to win and cover because you look at
the box score, so that Miami of Ohio was up
double ditchs for most of that game. You look at
the and I was watching a little but you look
at the box score, Miami was like twelve of twenty
(09:53):
from three. Like, that's not sustainable. There was a kid
in their team that was seven for seven at one
point from three. Whoever just shoots thirty five percent from three,
and you're like, that's not gonna last. And it didn't last,
and they But but also the reverse happens too. I
want to, I want to I pull some up for
you guys. Someone sent me this about Auburn. We talked
about Auburn right top late seed, top seed, late season
(10:16):
skids entering Intoba tournaments. This is the last four years.
So Auburn finished seven and four, Marquette and the finished
six and four. Last year, Perdue finished seven and four
after being twenty twenty two and one to start the season.
In twenty twenty three, Kansas started twenty five and five,
finished two and two. Kentucky in twenty twenty two started
twenty one and four, finished five and three. So you
(10:37):
get it right, the eighteen and one and two. So
here's the here's the eight teams ready. So in twenty
twenty one, Ohio State lost in the first round after
starting eighteen and four and then finishing three and five.
Michigan into twenty twenty one made the Elite eight, so
they're the outlier. But Auburn lost in Round two Kentucky,
first first game, Kansas, Round two, Purdue. I was here,
they lost in the first round sixteen last year. From ourqutch.
(11:01):
Just to tell you, Alburn, who we I've liked all season,
I'm I've swapped them out for Florida. Florida's in Auburn's out.
I think I think Florida and Duke right now and
Houston can actually score this year. So that kind of
changes my opinion on Houston a little bit. Not on
Saint John's. I'm I'm gonna fade the public on Saint John's.
I just you gotta be able to shoot the ball
(11:22):
a little bit in the postseason. I feel like you
can't just what the up against the team who's making
a bunch of threes? Can they keep up?
Speaker 3 (11:27):
If?
Speaker 2 (11:27):
If that is the case. So, but Florida, man, crack,
you mentioned it. They're they're good, buddy, like they're they're
they're good, and I think that you feel pretty comfortable
with the way they play basketball. They've also been a
lot of good teams recently and they've beaten them without
(11:50):
with ease like it has not been hard. They can score.
They also played teams to Alabama's problem right, they played
no defense. Florida plays defense. So I'm excited to see
what they can do today against Tennessee. Yesterday, they made
a lot of tough shots against Albert Like they were
driving to the paint. I love the aggressiveness. They were
putting the ball at the rim and they were going in.
(12:11):
A lot of them were going in, which worries me
a little bit. Today against Florida, some of those don't
go in, Brian, this could get ugly fast. So these
teams have played this year twice. They split. Both teams
won their home games. But the first game, that was
the seventy three forty three Tennessee just didn't score in
that game at all. Second game was low scoring as well,
sixty four to forty four. So in either of those games,
(12:32):
the loser couldn't put the ball in the basket.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
Yeah, in both of those games. That was the worst
loss all season for either team. That was Florida's worst
loss against Tennessee. That was Tennessee's worst loss of the
season against Florida. So rubber match today. Hey, we've got
Bill Krakenberger, professional sports andyicapper Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran,
I'm Brian.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
No.
Speaker 1 (12:55):

they're in the news right now. Do you guys hear
about this? A show at the United Center where the
Bowls and the Blackhawks play, and the pyrotechnics they went bad.
(14:59):
You know, they damn medged six of the Bulls championship banners.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
And so they've been taken down and they not they
have to redo the banners.
Speaker 5 (15:08):
Bottom besides them or bottom holves are like completely warped
from heat at this point.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
And those are like historical artifacts at this point.
Speaker 5 (15:14):
Too, right, Yeah, they ain't making more.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
Yeah, sure not. The bulls pyrotechnic's gone wrong right there.
You know you a big disturbed guy over there, Jeff.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Uh, I've down with the sickness on my uh you are?
I have? I have one song on my uh that
is my former like playlist for for my pregame playlist's
changed over the years. Yeah it might, it has changed over.
Speaker 4 (15:40):
I highly recommend bad Man to add to that mix.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
Unfortunately, I don't play any more games, so my pregame
mix has been sitting.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
And pre game for this.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
I did coach yesterday, which did feel like a pregame
for me. Yeah, track and.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
We'll take what we can get. Man, he's got one,
you know, like I.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
Got one on mine too. I got one on the stirrup,
the sound of silence, That's what I have.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
They did a good job on that one.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
Not heavy, not heavy, but you know, nobody gets there
for one point, like it really gets there for one,
and he just looks so mean in the video to
it's yeah, by.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
The way, so the Minnesota Vikings to go to the NFL.
Here for a few minutes, the Minnesota Vikings. You see
this trade yesterday They traded for former forty nine ers
running back Jordan Mason, and it got me thinking of
Sam Donald, of all people, because hang with me on this.
I think that Sam Donald is both a gift and
(16:37):
a curse for JJ McCarthy. So one part of this
is the gift. The Vikings have made a lot of
moves in the off season. They picked up Jonathan Allen
formerly the Washington Commanders, they picked up two offensive linemen.
They make this trade for a backup running bag. Would
they be making all these moves if Donald sucked last
year and the Vikings won like six or seven games.
(17:00):
Probably not. But they're being aggressive. So it's a good
supporting cast for JJ McCarthy. That's the gift of Sam
Darnold playing well last season. I think the curse is
if JJ McCarthy is the starter, there's not going to
be a whole lot of patience with the guy. This
is a fourteen win team. They've got a good roster.
It is go time. You know, Sam Darnald, who did
(17:20):
nothing his whole NFL career, had a career season, so
it's like, come on, McCarthy, let's go. And the other
part of this is the roster is so good it
wouldn't be shocking if they landed Aaron Rodgers and JJ
McCarthy isn't playing again. So I think either way, however
it shakes out, Sam Donald's twenty twenty four season will
(17:41):
have a major impact on JJ McCarthy's twenty five season.
It's interesting how that works out for him.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
Well, of course, but the base is there to have
a good season, right, I mean again, and this is
the pressure of this year. You have an offensive line
that's improved, right. The Vikings built that spine on their
offensive line and their defensive line and freegency. You have
your weapons there. I mean, it's ready made for Mcarthury
to step in and play good football. The question is, obviously,
you know, is he ready as a young football player?
Speaker 4 (18:10):
Right?
Speaker 2 (18:10):
He basically had no season, even like last year, even
in practice. You know, like there's a difference between sort
of being mahomes right where you don't play most of
the year, but you're in practice every day. He didn't
practice at all because he was hurt. So starting from
from ground zero, and I think the Rogers rumors are ridiculous.
The Vikings would be really, really fool. It's just on
(18:30):
Aaron Rodgers. But I'm not in charge of Vikings, so
I can't tell him what to do. But yeah, you're right, Brian,
there is added pressure because of the sets Starnal had
last season. I'm curious what the win total for the
Vikings will be. I imagine it's nine and a half, ten
and a half somewhere around there is my guess. But yeah,
I mean, McCarthy's got to play well early or they're
(18:51):
gonna be you know, people talking about how you know
they weren't able to capitalize the momentum last season.
Speaker 3 (18:59):
Yeah, the Vikings have made some moves, for sure, and
so up the Seahawks. But you know, we're all waiting
to see where Aaron Rodgers ends up. So who will follow?
I mean, I should say, will he follow Brett FA's
footsteps and end up with the Vikings or maybe the Giants, Steelers,
maybe just maybe just retires, but I doubt it. Guys
like guys like him, he doesn't want there he's got
(19:20):
a big of an ego to retire right now. If
he doesn't end up in Minnesota, then the Vikings will
go with their first round pick from last year and
Michigan JJ McCarthy. So I think McCarthy is a total wildcard,
though I could see him being a total buster, pretty
good starter. You know, we all really have no idea
since he's never taken an NFL step, So we'll see
(19:42):
what happens here. You know, one of my buddies was
very sharp last week. He actually asked me here in town.
He's like, hey, he's like one of the sportsbooks put
up the odds. They adjusted Minnesota at the fifty to
one to win the Super Bowl twenty seven to one NFC,
and he he said, that's really good odds. But yet
(20:05):
I still couldn't pull the trigger. So, I mean, not
for anything significant. Anyway. I did bet it, but nothing
for that. You know. It's it's like, just in case,
I'm not gonna have this because uh, you know, he
said it. Throw throw a peanut on here, just because
he said it. And he's a winn. He is a
winning prop player.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
Show that's great. I didn't fire on it. Well, I
didn't fire much on it, right, like, you know it
didn't fire though, that's awesome.
Speaker 2 (20:27):
I just I I know that the conversation about value,
you know, we talk about this a lot, like I
just can't get wasting my money on value that's not
going to hit. The Vikings are.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
Not win the Super Bowl, right right, right right, They're just.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
Not No JJ McCarthy. So in this scenario, JJ McCarthy
is going to outperform the rest of the NFC quarterbacks
in the playoffs like in this scenario, and then and
then thoseper Bowl and be either the Chiefs, the Bills,
or the Ravens like that.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
That Dolphins are the Dolphins, Jeff, I thought.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
The Dolphins I was.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
I think I'm just kidding.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
Or the Bengals, who supposed they're paying all the receivers
and no one else.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
Strategy, just like the Chiefs. Remember they let Chris Jones
go and they committed the Tyreek kill and then double fan.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
Base of the boatles. I uh, I just can't. I can't.
I can't bring myself to do that. Like I gotta,
I gotta at least have something. Okay, here's the deal.
So what I'm gonna pull up, right, now on on
bet MGM if they have the features up, like what
is it? Okay, so like first overall pick, you can't
do that anymore. Oh oh, we have some draft stuff up.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
I notice.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
I mean yeah, but these numbers are just a trop
You can't put eighties, okay, Like what's like, like, legit,
what's a better wager? Chiefs are seven and a half
to one to win to win to the super Bowl
plus seventy fifty a team that has played in in
what five seven and five Super Bowls in the last
(22:10):
seven seasons? Is that is that a better wager to make? Okay,
seven fifty or the Vikings the better wagress the Chiefs.
I don't care. I don't understand. So I don't I
don't get the idea of and I know that I'm
I'm not a sharp I'm not out here like I
get it. People will be pissed, I say, but crack,
(22:32):
I don't get it. I don't understand the mindset of like, well,
the number is good, it's not going to win.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
Now.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
If the idea is that you have a ticket for
the Vikings to win the NFC and then you could
use that ticket to make more money later absolutely.
Speaker 3 (22:47):
Well, that's probably the mindset. You're right, yes, probably even
did are.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
They making the NFC Championship game? When are you selling
this off in the in the in the wildcard round,
in the divisional round. When are you making your money
back on this wager? So I get that purpose of
futures where I'm taking a future now with the hope
that it's not really gonna win. But then I have
a chance to say, you know, in January, Okay, they're
(23:13):
playing a wildcard game, I'll take the other side because
I have this money available to me to make that happen.
Which I get that process, but just by saying like
the value, I just I don't get de straight up
value in a ticket like that when it's just it's
just not going to hit.
Speaker 3 (23:29):
I gotcha, I got you, and I understand I'm looking now.
I bet MGM myself super Bowl winner Chief seven and
a half to one, And I get that because of
their history, and you just hope that. I hate to
say that, I know they're not not that I'm saying
they're there old, but a couple of guys got a
lot on them.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
I'm not saying bet on them. I'm just like I
don't that to me feels like.
Speaker 3 (23:49):
You're rather beta bet. Bet MGM has them at forty one. No,
I don't. I don't want it. Yeah, I don't want that, Bet,
I see Yeah, And you know what, it's tough to
tie up your money. I just came from hard Rock
in Hollywood in South Florida, and I went to cash
some tickets that I had some season wins over unders
(24:12):
on some teams, and I wanted to go down there before.
I was thinking the bets expire. Even I was wrong.
Sometimes you don't realize, like so I made these bets
last April, and I'm thinking, well, I'm not gonna have
a chance to get down there before April, so let
me just go down in March, because I'm not gonna
have a chance to get down there again. I do
plan to go to the Masters this year, but I'm just
(24:33):
thinking myself, I'm not going to go down to Florida
from there. And I was not realizing that you have
a year from the date of the event, so the
year that the season was over on the season wins.
So I was just saying, well, I could I have
plenty of time. I wind up, I was going to
cash the tickets and finding more opportunities. For some reason
they have. They had some good opportunities there on some
(24:55):
season wins, and I even bet in college will I
bet Florida State under seven and a half wins down there,
and I wind up I wind up having to actually
give them money in the end. I was planning to
come home with a chunk of money. I wind up
actually betting a couple of baseball futures. And like I said,
the Florida State under I bet multiple times under seven
(25:16):
and a half wins, So I wasn't really planning to
bet this early. But the reason why I'm bringing this
all up is think about that, I'm betting Florida State under.
This is the ticket that's not going to cash, hopefully
for ten months. So they have ten months to wait
for me to lose the ticket, my dog to eat it,
me to die. I mean, there's so many different reasons
that they should take bets like that, but I mean
(25:38):
it's just it's hard to tie your money a significant
amount for that long.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
So well, I'll tell you a season win total over
that you should be taking crack. That would be Isaac
Lowenkron definitely played the over season win toil. It comes
to bath, I low, good morning, what is the latest day?
Speaker 3 (25:58):
Cash?
Speaker 5 (26:00):
To be honest, I'm going to race through this because
we truly have the best for last.
Speaker 3 (26:08):
Here.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
Just keep that in mind. We literally have the best
for last.
Speaker 5 (26:11):
So without further Ado MAC Championship game on Saturday night,
Akron defeated Miami of Ohio seventy six seventy four to
advance to the NCAA Tournament. Akrons Nate Johnson the game
winning layup with two seconds to play. Grand Canyon won
the WHACK Championship over Utah Valley eighty nine eighty two.
You see, San Diego captured the Big West with a
(26:31):
seventy five sixty one win over UC Irvine. Triton's going
to the NCAA Tournament for the first time ever. Alabama
State won the SWACK Championship game over Jackson State sixty
to fifty six, and Liberty captured the Conference USA championship
with the seventy nine sixty.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
Seven triumph over Jacksonville State.
Speaker 5 (26:49):
NBA Saturday night, Washington won at Denver, won twenty six
to one twenty three. Jordan Poole the game winning three
pointer with one point eight to play.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
Shay Gilgis.
Speaker 5 (26:59):
Alexanderunder scored forty eight in Oklahoma Cities one thirteen to
one oh seven win at Detroit. Now, after the game,
Detroit head coach JB. Bickerstaff went on a legendary epic
rant against the officiating, complete with table pounding and box
(27:22):
score crumpling. Listen, I'm disgusted.
Speaker 3 (27:26):
By the way that game is officiated.
Speaker 6 (27:29):
The level of disrespect was above and beyond.
Speaker 3 (27:32):
Right.
Speaker 6 (27:32):
We're growing young players, Our young players are competing their tailoff.
The least that they could do is get the same
respect that everybody else in this league gets and get
refereed the same way that everybody else.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
In this league gets trapped. And enough is enough of it.
Speaker 6 (27:47):
And what you saw tonight was disgusting. It was a
disgusting display of disrespect towards our guys and what we're
trying to do.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
All right, Crumple that box score now, go ahead.
Speaker 5 (27:56):
Crumpling, Yeah, box score had it coming. That check will
be payable to National Basketball Association. Six forty five Fifth Avenue,
New York, New York, one double O two to two.
Speaker 1 (28:08):
Back to you, guys, Thank you. I lo it is

betting options, including new looks in game parlays, teasers, live bets,
and so much more. Yeah, Bickerstaff was not feeling the
officiating last night as OKC pulled it out. SGA goes
for forty eight points and hey, kid Cunningham got ejected,
and Bickerstaff was he was heated about it, But I
(28:49):
like it, like the passion. Right there, Crack, you've got
the top seeds on your brain. We've got OKC, who
beat Detroit last night. There, they've got one of the
best records in the league, and the best record in
the league that would belong to the Cleveland Cavaliers. So
if you look at both of these teams, Cleveland with
fifty six wins, okay, see with fifty five wins, you
(29:12):
think this is the finals matchup? Which teams do you
see beating Cleveland or ok See, you have to start
with the defending champs, Boston, But who else do you
see on the list besides Boston, maybe taking down Cleveland
or taking OKAC down or whether it's the East or
the world.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
Yes, I feel like the Cavs are one of the
best teams in recent history that really haven't been getting
the attention they deserve. So they usually have the best
record in the NBA. Fifty six and ten are sixteen
game winning streak, but still the Lakers and Lukelan Lebron
and the Celtics and the you know, the Warriors and
Nuggets state they dominate the headlines in the NBA. You know,
(29:51):
you don't see this Cleveland market dominating any headlines. But
the Cavs team is deep. You know, they play really
good defense, have you know a ton of scores that
just can can beat you in different ways on the
given night. So it's gonna be really tough for anyone
in the East to beat this team four times in
a seven game series. So I know it sounds so
(30:13):
square and easy to say, but uh that does you know,
like I said, uh, they don't. They don't have those
attention grabbing headlines that they get you know, out out
in LA or Boston or even a Golden State or Denver.
So we'll see what happens. Like I said, God, what
team's gonna you know, beat them four times in a
seven game series.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
So we'll see who are you betting on in the
East right now, Guys, Cleveland or Boston or whoever, who's
your team in the East.
Speaker 3 (30:44):
I mean, I.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
Mean, the Celtics have to be proven. They could be
beating first right and writing them off that quickly. I
know that I'm I'm not doing that. You know, the
thing with Boston obviously, is like if when Sam hows
is making seven threes in a game, actually might have
lost that game money. But no, you know, they just
take a lot of they taken miss a lot of threes.
You know, if they're they're they're they're college basketball team.
(31:10):
I mean that there's a college basketball teams Alabama Cornell
is gonna play in two hours. They just shoot layups
for threes. I mean, that's what That's what Boston is.
They've eliminated the mid range from their game, which is
very antically analytically driven. But if you're not making your shots,
you're gonna lose, right now maybe maybe in the postseason
they get back to some more half court offense. We
we joked last year that the you know, Tatum dribbles
(31:31):
for twenty seconds, it takes a bad shot offense, which
happens a lot in the postseason for them. But like
I could imagine that that is sort of you know,
you can't cant out. I won't say about this about Cleve.
I wanted to make sure before I said this. They're
sort of following the path it takes the NBA to
win a championship. Two years ago, they lost in the
opening round. Last year they lost in the semis. This
(31:57):
is how you build when you don't have Lebron James.
You just go to four finals in a row. You
sort of build the losing happens early, and then losing
happens the next round. Losing happens. Like they're they're on
the path right now, I think where you feel like
they've put in the playoff experience to get to to
(32:17):
sort of be hardened enough to know what it feels
like in the postseason. Okay, see hasn't had that with
this current team enough yet. They only had one sort
of playoff quote unquote run right the towns have done it, Brian,
like they they were go, They're gonna know what this
feels like. So I actually feel a much better about
Cleveland's opportunity to win the East because they have some
playoff experience a little bit more than okay See does
(32:39):
in the West.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
They do. I just don't see okay See losing in
the West. I don't because again, you go to a
best of seven series and the way that they play
defense and the way that they're they score led by SGA,
this can be tough to knock them off. Man, And
you start looking at these other teams in the mix,
and they have Wartz, you know, Hugh so Young. Denver
(33:02):
they don't shoot enough. They shoot the fewest threes in
the entire league. I understand not being so reliant on
it like the Celtics are, but if you're shooting the
fewest in the entire league and their defense sucks, you know, like,
could Jokis just go ballistic for an entire series? Absolutely,
but it would take a lot for Denver to take
(33:23):
down OKC. And you just start playing that game. Grizzlies
probably not Lakers, yeah right, get real, you know, Warriors? No,
I just don't see OKC losing in the West. I
think there's a much better chance that you know, Cleveland
beats Boston, the defending champs, than somebody else in the
West beats OKC. I just don't see OKC losing.
Speaker 3 (33:46):
Hey, guys, I'll give you the bet MGM current odds
Eastern Conference champion the Celtics minus one forty. I just
can't lay a minus one forty there situationally. I just,
you know, gave a little speed about Cleveland there, Cleveland
plus one seventy five. And then heck, what are you
going to go to? The Knicks twelve to one, Bucks
(34:07):
twenty two to one, No Western Conference champs Thunder minus
one forty, Nuggets, Lakers plus six to one, Warriors plus
seven to one. So there, that's a little bit tighter
than the East, where it's pretty dominating between the Celtics
and Cavs.
Speaker 1 (34:23):
That's pretty wild right there, crack you said, what Knicks
twelve to one, Bucks twenty two to one?
Speaker 3 (34:28):
Wow? Can you look that far? Can you look at
the Pacers of forty to one? Now? I don't think
you can go that far?
Speaker 1 (34:34):
No, that's wow. That's that's a huge difference where the
bucks are in the east right there. All right, We've
got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper, Jeff Schwartz, eight year
NFL veteran, I'm Brian no. Every Sunday through the rest

Check this out our late letter.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
All right, we each have one selection for you. We
pull it together for a greater payout.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
Crack.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
We'll start with you. What's something you like?
Speaker 3 (36:22):
I'm going to the early morning basketball here IVY League
Championship game Cornell Yale. Let's go with a first half
under Yale Cornell first half under seventy four and a
half at bet MGM. Let's hope they come out tight
thanks to early in the morning in province. And there
is my portion of the parley player.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
Okay Ni Cornell scores a bazillion points, So I'm curious
how this one goes they we had yesterday against Dart Myths.
I want to say, cover the spread. They covered easily,
but they they can put them in. So you said
under seventy four. So we're going to a little contraller. There,
there we go. I'm putting it in, guys. It crack
(37:01):
says it. It's going in. It's going in, all right.
I like U A B plus the four and a
half ten against Memphis. Memphis has not covered their last
two games. One of their best players appears to be out,
got hurt yesterday, did not come back in. I would
imagine that he's not gonna play any one of the
(37:22):
point guards Hunter. That's gonna hurt them obviously. And again
Memphis just feels unreliable times and again I haven't covered
the last two games in this conference tournament. They they
don't need this game, right, I mean, obviously would be
would be great for them to have U A B.
I'm not a bracketologist. I don't think you A B
is in the tournament as of now, guys, So this
(37:46):
is an important game for them, So I like you
A B.
Speaker 3 (37:48):
Here.
Speaker 2 (37:48):
I'm gonna make sure I have the right numbers. I
think the numbers on the move it out for you guys.
Three and a half now, okay, so three and a
half it is. It was four and a half this morning,
So I got four and a half. Three and a
half for the Well, it's a parlay platter, right, we can.
I can make four and a half of the parlay platter.
Speaker 1 (38:05):
Sure, well, yeah you could, you could.
Speaker 3 (38:07):
You're buying it.
Speaker 1 (38:08):
I guess if you're gonna buy point yeah one.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
I mean, why not. We've got a parlay going. I
got four and a half in real life. Let's make
four and a half minus one twenty five on the
parlay platter plus four and a half minus one twenty five.
Speaker 1 (38:19):
All right, let me get you. Let me plug this
in right away because uh, you know, I gotta get
the uh, the the the accurate total.
Speaker 2 (38:27):
By the way, and the Cornell Yale game keeps coming
down too.
Speaker 1 (38:31):
It's weird. It's gone both ways. It went up to
one and a half thing.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
Open one six open one sixty one sixty a half.
Speaker 1 (38:38):
I think I was looking at it, and then it's
deadily gone.
Speaker 3 (38:40):
I set that out last night.
Speaker 1 (38:42):
Well, at one point it was one fifty eight and
a half, then ticked up and now it's ticked down
to so it's it's fluctuated.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
Yeah, seven and a half of MG.
Speaker 2 (38:51):
I have to put on the Yale Yale Cornell game.
Go Bulldogs, a.
Speaker 3 (38:55):
Little name action over here in Vegas twelve and time.
Speaker 1 (38:59):
All right, I will I'll add for you guys here.
I will add our guy, Flat Golden his rebounding total
from Michigan today against Wisconsin. I'll go over seven and
a half boards. That's at minus a dollar thirty five.
So a little bit of juice right there. But I mean,
the Twin Towers of Michigan are just eating on the glass.
(39:20):
And even though Wisconsin they're a good offensive team, there
are gonna be plenty of rebounding opportunities. I've got Golden
getting over that seven and a half. So if you
put those three together, see we've got Golden over seven
and a half. We've got the under first half in
the Cornell Yale game. And also UAB we we go
with plus four and a half, right, so we buy that, Yeah,
(39:42):
minus one twenty five there, so all that gets you
plus four to eighty five jam almost five? Not bad? Right, No,
I'm in like this crack. What do you think of
our odds here to catch this parlay.
Speaker 3 (39:57):
Almost five the one man you know, you know me
when it comes to parlor. I'm a peanut guy. Throw peanut.
Have some fun. You got some early morning action spread
out with you know, some later later action.
Speaker 4 (40:08):
You know.
Speaker 3 (40:09):
Nice? Yeah, that should be fun.
Speaker 1 (40:11):
Should be good?
Speaker 3 (40:12):
All right?
Speaker 1 (40:12):
Coming up next? Do we spend any more time on
anything less relevant than this?
Speaker 3 (40:22):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (40:22):
What's going on? Welcome in here? Happy Sunday two you
as we get you all set for college hoops? A
little bit of NBA action football always on the brain.
We got all that going on here. I'll tell you
what you know. Every now and then. I'm gonna sound
like the grumpy guy. Okay, it's just it's gonna happen.
It's part of my nature. But I'll tell you what, man,
(40:45):
I'm fully on board with having the bubble talk conversation,
but I just have to preface it this way. Okay,
And maybe maybe this takes all the air out of
the bubble talk balloon. I'm not sure, but it's my yearly,
you know. JB. Bickerstaff pound the table in front of me, plea, Like,
(41:07):
here's my question. Do we spend any more time on
anything less relevant than this, Like the last couple of
teams that sneak their way into the tournament are totally average.
It would be like having a knockdown drag out in
the NBA of like, hey, who's better? Is it the
Bulls or is it the Raptors? And we're just coming
(41:28):
with facts and it's the Raptors for sure. How could
you say it's the bulls? We would never waste time
on that, but we will all day, whether it's like
San Diego State or I you you know what I mean, Like,
I don't get any of it. I don't understand it,
but hey man, people have their teams. They want to
see them in the tournament, So that part of it
(41:50):
I get. I just don't understand if you don't have
a dog in the fight, why you'd ever begin to
approach anything remotely close to heated about bubble talk? How
often did these bubble teams do anything in the tournament?
Every now and then? They do every now and then,
but totally average credentials. I'm not gonna get heated over
average teams. Just not gonna do it.
Speaker 2 (42:12):
I'm I'm with you, buddy. I I don't understand. We
get so worked up over this all the time, about
oh my god, Indiana, they're not in Ohio State North Carolina,
and it's like they just they they lose the first game. Anyways,
(42:32):
why do we it's seventy two teams get into this thing.
You have all opportunity all season to make it in.
If you can't win enough games, you just you're just
not good enough. I don't know what to tell you,
But man, do we sure crack people complain about this.
I don't understand why people get so worked up about,
(42:57):
you know, the the inability for their favorite team, not
I guess by their favorite team, but like just the
abilion of eighteen to get in. When you have opportunity
to do this and you just you're not good enf
during the season, why do you deserve to be in?
If you are middling big if you're the eleven's best
Big ten team, sorry, like you're just not gonna make
the tournament. I don't know what to tell you. Win
(43:18):
more basketball games.
Speaker 3 (43:20):
It's it's good to root for those type of Cinderella teams.
A couple of years ago, everyone was rooting for Princeton.
You know, they outperformed their expectations, and it's always good
to root for those type of you know, I was,
I was googling to see, like what was like the biggest,
the lowest seed to win Law number eight, Villanova nineteen
(43:44):
eighty five. It's talk about forty years ago. Wow, to
win in law. I was just you know, people love
to root for those type of teams, though, you know,
we'd love to root for like a Saint John's or something.
You know, like you just love to root for the
teams that haven't been there in years. And then but
then again, you guys made a good point. What bubble
(44:05):
team ever makes it that far? Really? That that that
it makes a big difference except for that feel good
I love feel good teams, you know, you know I
love when there's the sister that was on the sideline.
Speaker 1 (44:22):
Yeah, sister Jean.
Speaker 3 (44:23):
I love sister Jean, you know, I just you felt
bad for her more than the team if they lost.
I like those feel good type of things.
Speaker 1 (44:33):
Yeah, well, a lot of the well Joey Brackett's right,
Joe Lenardi his last four in his first four out.
Most of these are bigger named schools right where.
Speaker 2 (44:44):
They mostly are. They're not like most of them are
not like the small school right right, North Carolina, Indiana,
Ohio State, those teams.
Speaker 1 (44:52):
Yeah, the first four out that he has, He's got
North Carolina, Texas, Ohio State, and then Boys State. Like
Boise State's the only you know, non like power conference team.
Speaker 2 (45:06):
So look, I mean, using you're being down at one
point by twenty five year conference championship game, help State.
Speaker 1 (45:13):
Very much after Colorado State. They couldn't score at the beginning.
You look up and you're like, wow, they're crue.
Speaker 2 (45:18):
They cut it, they cut it. They cut it pretty
close in the second half early and they just I mean,
look the Uh there's a website I like using called
bracket matrix dot com. It actually puts like every single
bracket that's out there into like a matrix to figure
out like where a seed is at. And yeah, I
mean there's they have six teams as an eleven seed
right now based off of all the brackets, and Indiana
(45:40):
and Boise State are there two that are sort of
on the outside looking in. So it's kind of interesting
to see what the consensus is for where these teams
are gonna be in the in the bracket. So yeah, Alburn, Houston, Duke, Florida.
I guess Florida's probably a new addition, right that would
(46:00):
have been in Bama probably for a while.
Speaker 1 (46:02):
Right right, right right, those are.
Speaker 2 (46:04):
Consensus number one, number one picks right now.
Speaker 1 (46:07):
And today you know SEC title game. That's a big deal.
Speaker 2 (46:10):
Yeah, I wonder, I mean, look, Tennessee is a consensus too.
I wonder if that changes. I would I don't think
that changes depending on who wins and loses today. Then
you have Alabama, Tennessee, Michigan State, Saint John's is the
two seeds. Pretty consensus on those, then Texas Tech, Kentucky,
Iowa State, Wisconsin, pretty consensus on those ones. So yeah,
(46:33):
that it's you know, the top's pretty said. I feel
like it's it's that eleven, you know, eleven, twelve, twelve
seeds so and then thirteen through sixteen or all the
automatic qualifiers. The lowest they put it out large is
typically eleven, and they play the and they play the
playing game.
Speaker 3 (46:50):
You know, last week, you guys kind of both yelled
at me for saying that North Carolina can't get in
there in no way, I mean, they really almost. They
blew a big chance here two days ago, missing the
freak throw and.
Speaker 1 (47:01):
Having were yelling at you crack.
Speaker 3 (47:03):
Yeah, you yelled at me both.
Speaker 2 (47:05):
Yeah, I don't. I think that's not my stop. But
it's also it's a prom.
Speaker 3 (47:11):
Being a little bit funny.
Speaker 1 (47:12):
I hear the yells about the Lakers.
Speaker 2 (47:16):
The Lakers are not there. They're were incomplete right now.
I have nothing to say about the Lakers until they
actually have all their players playing again.
Speaker 3 (47:24):
All right, Yeah no, but they listen. I watched the
end of that game and they had maybe the most
famous lane violation in the history of basket man brutal
or went over to probably would have had them, you know,
over the top and gotten gotten them a bidh. But
now they are projected to be one of the first
teams out by most people, so the question is who
(47:46):
gets in.
Speaker 2 (47:47):
They're thirty third though, interesting to see that that would
be the highest seed, highest ranking that.
Speaker 3 (47:52):
Yeah. Ken Palm is a place to go to to
look for sure. There's a couple you know, you mentioned
a couple of sites that that you go to. Last night,
I was I was up pretty late last night and
I actually looked at ken Palm was one of them.
I also found some other sites that are that are
pretty good. It's sports ratings dot Com. There there was
(48:12):
a there's there's a good there was a good article
up there that I that I was reading, and uh,
you know, I'll tell you it's amazing the difference in
some of these ratings by guys that are respected, like
you said, Kenpom. Some of them will have like a
perfect example thirty three Ken Pom and not even mentioned
in the next one that I kind of respect, you know.
(48:34):
Uh So there there's It's always fun tonight. Do you
By the way, I meant to ask you, I had
my mental question for you guys. Do you guys, are
you both stuck to the screen like the Selection Show
and your odds screen to see what odds come up first,
or or you just kind of watch it as a fan,
which I understand sitting back.
Speaker 2 (48:54):
Actually multiple tablets opened waiting for you to text us
that's what we'll do. Okay, wait, wait, wait, no, I
mean I just I probably I watched the Selection Show
and then I just go on social media and they're
gonna put out I mean, look, most of the time
the first numbers come out on far away shops that
and then you know they'll hit they'll hit the major
(49:14):
sports books ten twenty minutes later.
Speaker 3 (49:18):
Yeah, I love when people think that the Vegas line
like it comes out here in Vegas. That's not the case.
Speaker 2 (49:22):
It's gonna bet online don't have them first if all
the offshores that they they'll dave will put them out
like immediately right uh And and so look, I I
I I don't have a rating system, Like I'm not
good enough to look at the opening numbers and be like, yeah,
I can tell you like what I think. It's like,
(49:43):
oh that number seems high or lower or whatnot based
off of the opening numbers. And obviously by tomorrow morning,
they'll look a lot different. And you know, especially the dogs,
like if there's an underdog that you know, people like,
like like I think San Diego is gonna be ive
in Round one as a dog. The way they played basketball,
they won last night. I beat Irvine last night. I
(50:05):
mean there's a few teams that I think because of
the way they offensively, akrons one of them as well,
Like these offensive teams that that now they can also
lose by thirty if they don't make any of their shots,
which also but those teams the ones I look at
as far as like right now, if you look at bracketology,
you know, you put, you put, you know the they
have Yeah, so they have UCSD is a twelve seed.
(50:28):
M Nique State. The twelves are always interesting, right, Like
meniqu State is interesting because they can they can put
the ball in the basket and they have a good coach.
But like you know, like like all the Mountain West
teams out on them, Like Coloradstate is a twelve seed
out they mount West team stinking the stink in the tournament.
Speaker 3 (50:44):
You know.
Speaker 2 (50:44):
So Little Yale's gonna be interesting as a thirteen seed
if they win today. So you know, I think you
look at stuff like that, right you look at at
some of these teams. They can put the ball in
the basket. What number they're getting, uh for their game
against a big dog?
Speaker 1 (50:59):
How about though, I'm kind of curious with this SEC
title game. I don't think to Jeff your point, if
Tennessee wins, I don't think they're vaulting to a number
one seed. But what if Florida loses? Did they fall
out of the number one seed?
Speaker 2 (51:13):
For who?
Speaker 3 (51:13):
Bama?
Speaker 1 (51:14):
But I it would be either Bama, which is hard
to see because they just got blown out, or Saint John's.
Saint John's thirty one.
Speaker 2 (51:23):
Team John's is gonna be one.
Speaker 1 (51:26):
So Florida. Let's say Florida loses. They lost last time
by twenty ish points. If Florida gets the doors blown
off and there's still a one seed, you still got
them there.
Speaker 2 (51:34):
Saint John's is twelfth and Ken Palm they're not. There's
not gonna be a one seed.
Speaker 1 (51:39):
No, well then hey, you're saying they're they're locked in.
Speaker 2 (51:42):
You know, the bracket matrix puts them as a solid
as the eighth seed, essentially the last two seed, So
I can't see them hopping all the way up. It
would be between it would be Tennessee. If Tennessee keep
up there, Yeah, I think Tennessee would jump up. But again,
I think that that's more likely to happen. I mean,
they're five and can pull like that's there. I wonder
what Torvick's rankings are, like they're they're that has a
(52:07):
chance to happen, I think, But again, like, I don't
think you should change the one seed of the entire
tournament off one game that happens at the end of
the SEC tournament.
Speaker 1 (52:18):
So and that's the case with Auburn, right, Like.
Speaker 2 (52:21):
Yeah, Auburn has a you know, but but they're dropping.
But you know they're not. I don't think I'm curious
if they're the number one overall seed and that will
be Duke. Now I'm kind of curious if that changes
based off of the games that happened the last I
mean Duke one AC tournament they covered yesterday out their
best player, maybe the second best player. But that's a
good basketball team. So that's curious to me as well.
(52:44):
But look, as of right now, I'm just looking at
some of these matchups, like the ones, the five twelve ones, right,
the ones we always are like, oh, five, five twelve,
five twelve, like so Clemson, Colorado State. Again, I'm in
on Clebson. I would bet, I don't know what the numbers,
I would take Clembson to cover that game. Organ Liberty,
My ducks are wreck. My ducks are absolute wreck. I
(53:06):
would not put a single set on Organ right now.
I don't know about you, Brian, I don't know much
about Liberty. They can they can score though, right there there,
they can put the ball in the basket. I think.
Speaker 1 (53:18):
I have no idea about Liberty.
Speaker 2 (53:21):
You were just mocking me for my Organ. Yeah they're Yeah,
there's seventeenth country and three pointers made per game, so
they're they're live there. But yeah, I mean that's why, Crack.
So I get to your point, Crack, I will take
a look at some of those dogs early on in
these games. B why you will have a playing game.
Here's one thing too, don't know, ramble a little bit.
(53:44):
The winners of the playing games, those those those twelve
seed playing games, eleven seed playoff games, they played pretty
well on Thursday and Friday. They've had a game under
their belt, they've made those teams have made runs in
previous years. So just just keep an eye on that
for the playing the playing games that those teams typically
have played well into in the first and second round.
Speaker 1 (54:06):
Hey and you talk about scoring, b Yu, My gosh,
they've had some huge scoring games and then they scored
nothing against Houston. I know it's Houston, but that was wild. Right.
They've been scoring, They've been scoring near the hundreds in
multiple games, and then it was just like, okay, we're
not scoring at all against Houston.
Speaker 2 (54:23):
Yeah, like like one like one, look I would I would.
Uh So right now I'm looking at the this is
just the projection. So Michigan would play Akron. In Akron
partners have the size inside, but I Aria can shoot
the heck out of it. I would take heart.
Speaker 1 (54:40):
Look for the over in that game. Gosh, who's stopping who?
Speaker 3 (54:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (54:44):
So, like those are the ones like u CSD playing
u c l A. I look at UCSD.
Speaker 1 (54:49):
So these are the games that be a grinder. Wow,
you know it'd be a rock fight.
Speaker 2 (54:53):
These are the games that that I think you look
at as those first half numbers, right, crack those first
half dogs in these games. A couple of things to
look at too, guys, is dude, mark das tempo right tempo,
how fast teams play, because if a team slows that
you can grind it down that obviously can. And then
(55:14):
foul shooting like Wisconsin is great at the free throw line.
That's important end of these games, right, hard to wager
on a favorite they can't make foul shots. Yeah, so
make sure to look at that as well.
Speaker 3 (55:26):
Yeah, so that is that is and you know, you
know it's just that when I when I say that
in the past past few years, I just when it
comes to first half, I just because teams people don't
come to hair to bet teams like, uh, you know,
the underdogs getting six or seven or ten in the
first half. They come to bet Duke in the first half,
(55:47):
they come to bet Florida. All bring up these teams
a game in first half, like, you know, I look
at those dogs because I'm going to get an extra
half a point here and there. And I have lots
of sports books to bet at. And let me just
tell you a sportsbook like bet MGM, you could definitely
find some half of points here and there, you know,
on certain things especially I'll be the first to tell
(56:11):
everyone here here we are seven to seventeen West Coast time.
Bet MGM a little bit slow to move when there's
like major line moves, so they want to take they'll
take a couple bets first before they move.
Speaker 1 (56:24):
So wait a minute, Cracker, are you saying we can
take advantage of bet MGM. Is that what you're really
getting at here?
Speaker 3 (56:30):
I think we could. Yeah, we definitely have have had
that in the past where I'll say, hey, guys, plus
five and a half on this game, but you got
to go quick and I'll say, well, wait, bet MGM
still has the plus five and a half. And we'll
have situations like that. I know during preseason football they
were a big help to us. That's for sure.
Speaker 1 (56:49):
Man, that's where you live football.
Speaker 2 (56:51):
Yeah, no, I can't wait for to make my bank
well back in August. I'll tell you what, man, the
hottest person all of sports is the Voice right now.
Cannot on a heater.
Speaker 3 (57:03):
Just it's just really yeah, I got to tell the
people what you're talking about this.
Speaker 2 (57:11):
One of the people that we the voices is doing
is like, is a had a streak for like eight
days where the Voice was like eighty percent. It's gone
down a little bit, but here's it's been. It feels
like it's been a very public I've sent Brian some
of the again, not every bet should be on bet
splits like public fade, but every one of the games
that the Voice wins I sent Brian like the screenshot,
(57:32):
but of like the public, it's it's like the eighty
percent ticket game. You know, It's like, what are like,
I'm not going to wager on that side. Also, a
friend of mine was like, dude, I'm so hot right now,
and he listed the teams wagered on. It's like every
team that you think you would would like you, I
would never went on that team. That team covers every game,
so that I feel like we're do for correction this
(57:54):
upcoming weekend where to your point, like the Lipsicon plus
seventeen and a half, you know, like that that's getting home,
you know, the next couple of weeks. So it's never
fun to root for these dogs, by the way, because
you're just like it once. The the thing about some
of the bad teams is once the favorite gets on
(58:16):
the run, there's no coming back.
Speaker 1 (58:18):
Oh it's it's just dead.
Speaker 2 (58:19):
Yeah, And that's why the first halfs are so important
because if let's take like, let's take one of these
like you know, these games that you know, I could
see crack as I mentioned, like Arizona High Point are
playing each other. Arizon's bad examples they stick on the tournament. Uh,
you know Michigan Acron for example. Okay, like if if
Acron gets out fast and the Michigan goes on a run,
(58:41):
like that's it. Acro's not coming back. They're just not.
It's just it's one of those games. It's so that's
why the first half I think are so important.
Speaker 1 (58:48):
All Right, we've got Bill Craig, go ahead, Crreg.
Speaker 3 (58:50):
I just had a couple of things. When we come
back from the break, I'll cover them. So we're gonna
go to break. Now, a couple of things I want
to hit on what Jeff just said. Okay, we'll come back.
Important stuff.
Speaker 1 (59:00):
Yeah, we got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz,
eight year NFL veteran. I'm Brian.
Speaker 7 (59:06):
No.
Speaker 1 (59:06):

conference championships winding down there anything you need, There's a
limited slate here, only five games. Anything that could benefit
you over there at bet MGM today.
Speaker 8 (01:01:03):
Hey yeah, so a little bit of a weird day
because by the amount of games, it's actually a pretty
quiet game, but obviously the big afternoon with selection Sunday
and all these games getting up from what we're really
remaining on the conference tournaments. We're hoping Tennessee doesn't end
up winning this SEC. We're really looking at the rest
of it. We're in pretty good shape. We probably prefer
(01:01:26):
Wisconsin to win over Michigan.
Speaker 4 (01:01:27):
But another one.
Speaker 8 (01:01:28):
That's not too bad one way or another. But yeah,
small plate on only five games left in these different tournaments.
Speaker 3 (01:01:35):
But it was a great week.
Speaker 2 (01:01:37):
You guys have not adjusted the duke price very much
to make the final four. It was minus one fifty,
it's now minus one forty after the flag injury. Do
you expect that it to kind of stay right there,
or if he doesn't play maybe next weekend, or he's
out for longer than that, it'll change a little bit.
Speaker 8 (01:01:54):
Yeah, if we get word that he is actually going
to be out, that that would then change everything that
we've read so far. Looks like he's going to be
good to go for next week. You know, if there's
any reports that maybe he's swollen and having problems, you know,
that's when the adjustments will come. But as of now,
looks like he's.
Speaker 3 (01:02:11):
Gonna play Gorn and Christian. Any surprise bets coming in
right now for the National Championship, anything like, you know,
look at like something like Alabama Tennessee, something like thirteen
to one, eleven to one, or any any bigger bets
than you guys expected to take even to make the
final four, Any giant bets or anything that you could
(01:02:32):
tell us about that that people people love here when
someone bets like, you know, a couple grand on something
that's you know, ten to one, twelve to one, twenty
to one.
Speaker 8 (01:02:40):
Yeah, I got a couple that actually highlighted that I
believe I can share. We did take a thousand dollars
bet on Missouri to win the National Championship. That one
was pretty interesting. Michigan State is one of those teams
well a little bit more of a long shot that
we've taken a ton of bets, ended up taking a
thousand dollars bet on them as well. We had a
(01:03:03):
we did have a very big one hundred thousand dollars
bet on Florida a few weeks back. That's why we
have liability on them. That was when they were eight
to one, and then a nice one here two thousand
bucks on Saint John's back when they're plus five thousand,
So that was a good one. Now they're twenty two hundred.
Speaker 3 (01:03:19):
Would you say Florida one hundred thousand dollar bet?
Speaker 8 (01:03:22):
Yeah, it's been a big one a few weeks back.
Speaker 3 (01:03:24):
Yeah, one hundred to win, eight hundred thousand, yeah, yeah, wow. Wow,
they're down to plus four fifteen now, all right, cool,
that's good. People love hearing them kind of things.
Speaker 1 (01:03:33):
Yeah, how about that Christian? Right, do you guys think
more game to game come tournament time or with those
futures in mind where it's like, hey, we might have
taken it on the chin in this like whatever this
you know, four thirteen matchup, But that's good. We got
the four seed knocked out and there were a lot
of futures bets on that squad, Like how do you
(01:03:54):
balance the game versus the future?
Speaker 4 (01:03:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (01:03:58):
Right, Sometimes it'll get tricky as well. We'll start getting
later into the season that will want this team, but
you know, it might actually be better if they make it
one or two more games, especially a team like Duke
where they'll take more bets per game if they're still alive,
but we have liability on them, so we'll try to
go back and forth. And then it gets even more
tricky with the college restriction, so if a team like
(01:04:19):
Saint John's makes a run, we have to in New
York be a little bit different though. College basketball is
where it gets really really tricky. We really got to
crunch some numbers sometimes as we get the later in
the season.
Speaker 2 (01:04:31):
I'm curious about the player prop market in college It's
not for every game. They weren't much up yesterday, but
but they are up today for a lot of these games.
Do we are we going to see them for all
the tournament games? As it sort of depend on the matchup.
How much do you sort of go into player props
for March Madness.
Speaker 8 (01:04:48):
Yeah, so they're restricted in a ton of states out
and more and more of been following suit.
Speaker 2 (01:04:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:04:53):
You know, there's been a couple problems recently too that
hasn't helped that case. So we're down to it. You know,
certain states will have it, others will not. But I
always tell people, actually they always assume that March Madness is,
you know, a really really tough time for us in trading,
But realistically, most Saturdays there's one hundred, one hundred and
(01:05:13):
fifty games of college basketball on a Saturday. When we
get down to this, you know, we're really looking at
sixteen games in a day, and for us, that is
significantly more manageable. That's when we're able to get a
lot more of these props up because we have left
volume of the games.
Speaker 3 (01:05:27):
Christian And after you talked about New York and different states,
that has to be so hard to manage of. You know,
with each state by state that situation. Do you have
like guys like I know out here in Vegas, I
know some of the guys that work at the books,
they have like one guy that just handles certain props,
(01:05:47):
other guys handle other props. Do you have like a
whole department that handles just the college props state by
state or even those team on the risk that you
have state by state? Is there that many people involved
in bet MGM or is it kind of like you know,
the two or three guys that handle like mostly everything,
or is it individuals that handle each state and each
(01:06:10):
individual circumstance.
Speaker 8 (01:06:12):
So yeah, we'll have like a college basketball team, but
really what we'll end up doing is it's unfortunate is
that a lot of times we just won't offer a
lot of those schools or teams until they get a
lot closer and like, okay, this team really has now
a chance to win it. So a lot of times
sometimes you know, there might be a lower tier in
New York school that just won't end up being listed
(01:06:33):
because it gets too difficult to manage it so far away.
Now that we get to this point where we have
less teams and it's more easy for us manage, there
will be specific people on like okay, if we're going
to lift East Region, I think John can't be in it.
And according to the New York's rules, second place has
to be paid out, So we'll have someone's sitting there
crunching the numbers to figure out, all right, well what's
(01:06:53):
their second place to finish? It's not fun at all.
Speaker 3 (01:06:58):
And what do you what do you do tonight? Now?
Are are you there also, like you know, as each
game comes up, are you also there helping the guys
or are you just managing the affairs or what do
you do tonight? Is it an exciting night for you?
Speaker 6 (01:07:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (01:07:11):
So I'll obviously help out, but we'll have a team
of people ready to go, because this one is always
tough for us because they'll just start throwing out matchups.
And it's not like college football, where we have an
estimate of probably going to be one and they're going
to probably play this team. We have no idea who's
going to play who, so we can't prep at all.
So we just got to start firing away and get
these games up as fast as we can and obviously
(01:07:33):
take some time to build up the game and sort
all that out and then figure out, all right, well
what would the odds be in this game? That's obviously
all things that happens really really fast, and we just
try to really just get something up as quick as possible.
Speaker 4 (01:07:47):
And I mean you'll you'll see.
Speaker 8 (01:07:48):
Sure people listen to this program noticed sometimes those lines
will move really really fast right before we open.
Speaker 1 (01:07:54):
Cool, all right, Christian always great stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:07:57):
Man.
Speaker 1 (01:07:57):
Hope you enjoy Sunday and we'll catch you very soon.
Speaker 8 (01:08:00):
Yeah, big day, fun day catcher, what next week?
Speaker 1 (01:08:03):
All right, it sounds good. There is Christian Zippolini bet
MGM Trading manager joining us here. Hey we go from
Christian Zippolini to Isaac Loewen Crouy. Huh I mean, the
hits just keep coming, Jess right right. I love with
the latest what's going on.
Speaker 5 (01:08:18):
But well before I said we're gonna save the best
for last, and that proved to be true. We're saving
something for last, but whether it's considered the best, we
will leave it up to all of you, So stay
tuned for that. First of all, though, In the MAC
Championship game on Saturday night, the Akron Zips rally from
eleven points down with ten oh four to play to
(01:08:39):
beat Miami of Ohio seventy six to seventy four to
advance to the NCAA Tournament. Akrons Nate Johnson the game
winning layup with two seconds to play. In the WACK
Championship game Graham Canyon, the Lopes defeated Utah Valley eighty
nine to eighty two. And the Big West Championship Game
you see San Diego for you Servine seventy five to
(01:09:00):
sixty one. The Triton's going to the NCBLA Tournament for
the first time ever. In the SWACK Championship game, Alabama
State wonover Jackson State sixty to fifty six. And of
the Conference USA Championship game, Liberty qualified for the NCAA
Tournament with a seventy nine sixty seven win over Jacksonville State.
NBA Saturday Night, Washington won at Denver one twenty six
(01:09:22):
to one twenty three. Jordan pooled the game winning three
pointer with one point eight to play. Shay Gilgris Alexander
scored forty eight in Oklahoma Cities one thirteen to one
oh seven win at Detroit. Finally, in college football trending
right now, North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick, Belichick's lady
(01:09:45):
friend posted a series of pictures on Instagram on the
beach in Florida where Belichick is lying in the sand
and balancing her up in the air using his hands
and feet.
Speaker 1 (01:10:00):
Sir, do so lay style.
Speaker 5 (01:10:03):
And that's about the best way I can describe it,
Noting that people all over the country are having breakfast
right now, but yeah, they're out there.
Speaker 1 (01:10:13):
You be the judge back to you guys, all right, thank.
Speaker 4 (01:10:16):
You, I Low.
Speaker 1 (01:10:16):
It is Fox Sports Radio's Countdown, presented by BETMGM. She's
keeping them young. This is good.
Speaker 3 (01:10:22):
Hey.
Speaker 1 (01:10:22):
Every Sunday through the rest of the NBA regular season,
BETMGM will be running the NBA Sunday Splash Jackpot. Users
will have the opportunity to win a share of fifty
thousand dollars in bets if their player scores the most
three pointers on that Sunday. All you have to do
is opt into the Sunday Splash Jackpot promotion and place
at ten dollars plus NBA player three pointers bet up
(01:10:44):
to one time each Sunday. If your player scores the
most three pointers on that Sunday, you'll win a share
of fifty thousand dollars in bets. And we're joining in here, fellas, right,
we'll have our pick here. I came close last week, guys.
I had Klay Thompson, he hit five threes, and then
Max Struce he hit five threes. And then this guy,
(01:11:04):
Jeremy Grant from the Blazers, he had the audacity to
hit six threes. Right, So I very close with Clay.
Didn't quite get there. But we have our picks here today, Crack,
we'll start with you. Who do you like to hit
the most three pointers today in the NBA?
Speaker 3 (01:11:18):
All right, let's go to Swish. Let's go with Minnesota
over the over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Anthony Edwards attempts ten
and a half three pointers a game playing against a
terrible Utah Jazz team that allows a ton of threes.
So let's go with Edwards and yeah, six will be
(01:11:40):
a great number. So let's see what happens. Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:11:43):
I was looking up some stats here at Crack Utah
twenty ninth against three point defense against the point guards,
because DiVincenzo over two and a half three pointers is
a decent prop back for today's average four a game
against Utah. So they're again, They're terrible. I did Dame
(01:12:04):
Lillard last week. I'll go back to it again this week.
They play the Thunder tonight. Both have to score a
ton of points. I'm concerned about how good the Thunder's
defense is, but Lillard is one of the best NBA
averages nearly three point five a game, so I'm going
to go back to him in this one, just hoping
that they have to score a bunch of points and
(01:12:24):
keep up with Oklahoma City.
Speaker 1 (01:12:27):
I'm going to go very random. I was thinking about
running it back with Klay Thompson because the MAVs are
playing the Sixers. It's always a great day to fade
the Sixers, as we know right this season at least,
but I'm gonna go completely random. Give me Sam Merrill
of the Cleveland Cavaliers. He's a three point specialist. They're
playing the Orlando Magic, which is why I don't love this.
(01:12:49):
Actually the lowest total of the day, But Donovan Mitchell's
a game time decision. You know, maybe Cleveland boat races them.
Wouldn't be shocked at all. They're going for their seventeenth
win in a row, and Sam Merrill will get some attempts.
It's like these Cleveland players, Max Struce, I just mentioned him.
He had five threes last week. If a guy gets hot,
(01:13:09):
they'll just keep feeding him. One game. It'll be like
Dean Wade will catch fire and they'll just keep feeding him.
So if Merrill catches fire, they're gonna feed him. I'll
go completely random and go Sam Merrill. It's kind of
like the Sam Houser of Cleveland over there, Jeff.
Speaker 2 (01:13:24):
I'm in, Are you know me? I mean, we I
wait to our Houser much. This year. I missed the
seven three pointer game unfortunately.
Speaker 1 (01:13:30):
Man, that's tough.
Speaker 3 (01:13:31):
That's rough when that happens.
Speaker 1 (01:13:32):
You know, Hey, all right, we've got Bill Krakenberger, professional
sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran. I'm Brian
no Hey, I want to tell you about this as well.

could look NBA, you could look college hoops. We'll compare notes.
Coming up, it's Fox Sports Radios Countdown presented by BETMGM.
(01:14:16):
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown presented by BETMGM. On Fridays, BETMGM,
authorized gaming operator of the NBA, is making first field
goal scorer wagers more exciting with second Chance. What's second
chance ever? Bet on your favorite player to score the
first field goal, only to see him make an assist
to his teammate for an easy layup. Well, with BETMGM
(01:14:37):
Second Chance, you'll get your stake back in cash if
your first field goal scorer scores second instead of first.
All right, let's do.
Speaker 4 (01:14:45):
This prop it up player plays.
Speaker 1 (01:14:50):
All right, Crack, we'll start with you. What's a prop
bet you'd like.
Speaker 3 (01:14:54):
Let's go over to Jeff Schlaker team Austin. Austin Reeves
rebounds assist over ten and a half. You know, Reeves
has won over this number in both games with Luca
and Lebron out and I'm looking at some numbers here.
He finished with eighteen and eleven rebounds assist in those games.
(01:15:14):
He's averaged thirteen and a half rebound chances and ten
and a half potential assist. He's playing thirty five plus
minutes in these games with Lebron injured. So let's go
over Austin Reeves rebounds and assists ten and a half.
Speaker 2 (01:15:29):
Okay, all right, remember the first game that the Crack
has of the day that he has the under and
Yale in Cornell, I'm taking an over for Pelocatis. The
Nails leading score over nineteen and a half. Cornell's defense
is absolutely atrocious. They're two and and fifty second in
the country. And the two games that he has played
(01:15:50):
against against Cornell, he has shot twenty one to three pointers.
He made six in the first game, it only made
two in the second, two to elevens against Cornell. They
just allow a ton of shots, so I think he
gets back on track against them. I only had thirteen
points against Princeton yesterday, so I think he popped his
back today with a big game. I have over nineteen
(01:16:11):
and a half points against the Cornell again. Yale has
scored ninety two and one zero three against Cornell in
their first two matchups.
Speaker 1 (01:16:19):
Okay, I'm gonna be a little bit radical here. I'm
looking at John Tanja, who who has been going off
for Wisconsin.
Speaker 2 (01:16:28):
Yeah yeah, yeah, right, yeah, well.
Speaker 1 (01:16:30):
Thirty two games three yeah yeah. He had thirty two
against Sparti. Last game he had twenty six against UCLA.
I'm gonna fade him today. I'm gonna go under twenty
one and a half points against Michigan. This could be
a horrible bet by me, but I just don't think
the hot streak's gonna continue. And if you look at
(01:16:52):
the attempts, you gotta look at the volume. It's not
like he's shooting twenty some shots. He's only shot He's
only taken twenty shots one time this entire season. So
in the midst of this heater, at fifteen attempts, he
was nine for ten against UCLA's shots. If you're not
(01:17:13):
getting the shooting volume, at some point, you're going to
have an off shooting game and you're just your point
total is not going to be there. So I'll take
under twenty one and a half today for Tanjay. Even
though he's been spectacular lately, he's had a really strong season,
the volume just isn't there, so I'll fade him. I'll
go under twenty one and a half.
Speaker 2 (01:17:31):
That's boy. I feel like he's on a heater right now.
Speaker 1 (01:17:33):
He is, He's absolutely on a heater, but I need
him to miss shots and then Golden just to grab
the rebounds. Boom win win perfect correlated crack. You love that.
Speaker 3 (01:17:43):
And when everyone knows someone's on a heater and the
bookmakers know if you know which way people are betting,
so it's uh, you know, like I always say, I
use that word tax, we're going to pay attack sometimes
on things that are public, so it's.
Speaker 1 (01:17:56):
Right, that's right. You Sometimes it's interesting. You'll either you'll
pretty much just stay away or you'll look to fade
the hot hand, right, I remember sometimes.
Speaker 3 (01:18:09):
And that's I'm just gonna say that. That's that's my
thing for the NFL too, you know, I'll exactly correct.
I'd just like to put myself inside the bookmaker's head,
and I want to be on the bookmaker's side in
the end, because as we all know, I've said it,
I haven't said it in a while. God protects the bookmaker.
Speaker 1 (01:18:30):
Yes, and think about that too. Which side is the
bookmaker on when it comes to Tanja today, He's.
Speaker 3 (01:18:38):
On the unover.
Speaker 1 (01:18:39):
Yeah, the bookmaker's on the under there.
Speaker 3 (01:18:41):
Yep. I want to go back to something that there's
a touch on that Chef said earlier about betting splits
and the voice. This is someone that we fade that's
historically is a losing better. Always good to find a
losing better just says it is a winning better. We
have faded the voice multiple times. But I have to
tell you now, you said the voice is hot. So
(01:19:02):
the voice is hot. That means you look and look
in the return to the mean a little bit. Also,
it makes me question where the voice gets their picks from.
Speaker 2 (01:19:12):
Yeah, I will say the last couple of weeks I've
I've been I feel like I don't know, I feel
like there's maybe a service involved. I don't know what
service involved.
Speaker 3 (01:19:23):
I want to know, getting picks from somebody. That's my way.
Speaker 2 (01:19:28):
But then there are times when like it's so obvious
that they're just picking the most obvious, like total you're like, oh,
that comes gonna be high scoring over like. So like
it's both those things where it feel like sometimes it's smart.
Other times you're like, yeah, of course they would take
the over liked they underhit. So yeah, I'm leary of it.
I will say that, Look, if you wait during seventeen
(01:19:50):
games in a weekend, you're gonna lose. And but they're
just like hot, I don't know that.
Speaker 3 (01:19:56):
Good looking, the parent the mean here, Yeah right.
Speaker 1 (01:20:00):
All right, coming up next, there is one team looking
to stay hot, not repressed to the mean. Oh we'll
get to that. And who's your next favorite team? Oh,
welcome in, Happy Sunday to you guys. Your days off
to a great start, just keeps getting better and better.
Selection Sunday, all excited? Who plays?
Speaker 3 (01:20:21):
Who? Where? When?
Speaker 1 (01:20:22):
All that good stuff. I'll tell you what. Guys playing
through pain here today? Oh yeah, just moved into a
new place. I'm sitting on top of a guitar amp.
You know it's hard, right, like as a hard amp.
Do have a pillow going on here? But my chest
is about to fall off.
Speaker 2 (01:20:41):
Okay, where are you? Where are you living now? Because
you're nomad as we know. I don't think we know
that yet, Brian know the nomad.
Speaker 3 (01:20:47):
It's true.
Speaker 1 (01:20:48):
Back in Vegas.
Speaker 2 (01:20:49):
Check back in Vegas. Yeah? Are you so? That's okay?
I'm looking at the wall behind you. Are you in
a parking garage?
Speaker 1 (01:20:57):
No, that's like the Actually, it's a great wall.
Speaker 3 (01:21:01):
You know. Check out the walls.
Speaker 1 (01:21:03):
See the walls.
Speaker 2 (01:21:04):
Oh yeah, Oh it's it's a great Instagram wall. Get
you pictures behind it.
Speaker 1 (01:21:09):
I just have to get Instagram again. I got hacked
like five years ago. I got hacked going into what
was it the Rams playoff game they were hosting the
Arizona Cardinals, probably like five years ago or so. I
got hacked and I haven't been back, well maybe three
something like that.
Speaker 2 (01:21:25):
I so you're sitting on an amp. I've had this
chair now for five years, I think maybe longer than that.
I am waiting for the day that it just breaks
on air. Okay, it is going to break one day.
It's a big and tall chair. I gotta screw something
like I could tell the screws are kind of get
a little loose in the in the base. I lean
back in it a lot, and it's going to break.
(01:21:46):
It's on point. I'm gonna cut loudly on air when
it breaks. It's gonna be a great social media clip.
I hope it happens when I'm doing it on any
of my work on Zoom, and it's gonna be hilarious.
And I'll just go to Staples or whatever else in
order a bigger you know, a bigger tall chair. It's
really comfortable. I've had it for years.
Speaker 3 (01:22:05):
Those tall chairs are really serious thing. I mean, they're
really good to have. But there are a lot of
money too. It's probably about it at least five hundred bucks,
am I right there? They're expensive.
Speaker 2 (01:22:14):
I don't think the mind's that expensive. But it's last
to be forever, like if it lasted.
Speaker 3 (01:22:17):
That long, it's that's worth every penny of it.
Speaker 2 (01:22:19):
That's worth every penny I think. I think if you
see me, it's a little bit lean, like a little
leans to one thing. Yeah sure, yeah, yeah, it leans
a little bit this way right now, so you know,
I like, you know, I like to like sitting forward
on the back and in the low backs, I put
my typically like I put my feet up, like I
just lean back like this.
Speaker 1 (01:22:35):
Oh yeah, yeah, I'm scary, like you're stressing that chair.
Speaker 2 (01:22:39):
Yeah yeah, yeah. I do this all the time. So,
I mean half the time I'm doing the radio, I'm
just sitting like this.
Speaker 1 (01:22:45):
I'll tell you what that would be timing from the radio. Gods,
if it just broke right now after you explained.
Speaker 3 (01:22:51):
All that, it's I would pay five hundred.
Speaker 2 (01:22:53):
I think part of it too, like something like my
core a little bit when I lean back, though I
do have a little forward bit of of lean like
I just don't go all the way back like I'm
a full rock A little bit a little bit of
a forward leant core workout, you know, since the core
a little bit. Make sure I don't I don't fall
back over and kill myself. It would be very funny though,
(01:23:14):
if it were to if it were to happen.
Speaker 3 (01:23:16):
On air, So Brian Brian uh in Vegas of course,
where Isla is next?
Speaker 2 (01:23:22):
Breakfast together?
Speaker 3 (01:23:23):
Yeah, we haven't had a breakfast in a while.
Speaker 1 (01:23:25):
Now, I was going to be this next week, right, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:23:27):
I was in Florida last week and I was in Foxwoods.
I was in Connecticut last week in Florida, and the
week before that we just did. Brian was out of
town for a wedding or I hate to say this,
a wedding or a funeral something. No, it was.
Speaker 1 (01:23:40):
It was wedding.
Speaker 3 (01:23:41):
It was good. But as we get older, as we
get older, we go to more funerals than weddings. It's
just a common thing. And and uh, but yes, we
haven't got together in a while. We usually go once
a week. We were going over to the West Gate
for breakfast, but then we had some local spots, which
I love supporting local mom and pop places. We haven't
(01:24:02):
really went there enough because I get these free points
there at the West Gate, of course, so why not.
And by the way, you know, if I noticed breakfast cost,
it means something because I don't have no value on money.
I'm a total idiot when it comes to money. I
just spend. I don't want to think about how much
I spend per month eating out. But if I noticed,
like breakfast out for two in a casino is like
(01:24:26):
fifty bucks minimum, you know, I went to Caesars two
days ago and just their regular breakfast. You could imagine
this steak and eggs fifty five bucks at Caesars. I
mean they should just use a mask and a gun. Really,
I mean they're just pretty much Yeah, it's unbelievable. How
does Joe Public do it? I mean, how do they
do it? I guess they don't go to Caesars.
Speaker 1 (01:24:46):
Well, that's the thing you talked about it crack where
you know, Vegas isn't getting the same amount of people
you talk about it. You know, you watch through a
yeah casino and it's you know, there's tumbleweed you know
in the distance and all that. But March Madden right
around the corner. Be very interesting. What the turnout is
going to be this year.
Speaker 3 (01:25:04):
It's not. It's not very good.
Speaker 2 (01:25:05):
Dude. Look man, I we would have this before about
the Vegas thing, Like it's even for me. It is
a very expensive trip to go to Las Vegas.
Speaker 3 (01:25:16):
It is.
Speaker 2 (01:25:17):
It is very expensive and like the fees obviously on
top of the hotel crack like the only place to
get just it's more like a food take. Like there's
not I don't know how to put it right, Like
(01:25:37):
you can't just all the food you eat in Vegas
is obviously from restaurants, Like I wish there was like
a grocery store I could just go and get like
fresh food. It's all it's very expensive on the strip
do it's very expensive. It's all commercialized, and like, I
just don't, I just don't. I don't know. I don't
feel the need to go to Vegas as much.
Speaker 3 (01:25:59):
And I've come here just fifty times.
Speaker 2 (01:26:03):
I've also been fifty times, by the way, so that's
probably also a lot. I've been there a lot, Like, yeah,
I not fifty probably, but like.
Speaker 3 (01:26:10):
When your wife comes here, she would never allow that
she wants to go out to eat to the nicer restaurants.
Speaker 2 (01:26:15):
Uh no, no, So here's the crack there. It's just
it's it's a thing. Uh So I feel like me
and you are in the category of like we we
live to eat, like we love to eat. Right, Yes,
my wife eats to live like the amount to eat
she may or may not supplement, you know, solid foods
(01:26:39):
and the calories for liquid calories at times as well,
so she's get her calories in that. That's that's not
by the way, that's not protein shakes and people, and
she would she wants to go out in Vegas to
be seen more than like to go eat, Like.
Speaker 3 (01:26:53):
She like like going to the Cosmo and the Y Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:26:57):
Yeah, yeah, okay, Yeah, there's a there's a bar that
we go. There's a bar that we like to go
to in the I think it's the Palazzo.
Speaker 3 (01:27:07):
There.
Speaker 2 (01:27:07):
No, No, it's no, it's like that. It's like the case.
It's like the casino bar playing like they play electric
dance music, like they play her music. Really, I think
it's called like it's like, yeah, that's where we go there,
and it's like it's the casino bar. No, No, it's
not like it's not like tow or one of those places.
It's like it's like the casino bar. We very much
(01:27:28):
enjoy it. We've been there a lot.
Speaker 3 (01:27:29):
Right.
Speaker 2 (01:27:30):
Uh yeah, it's a it's a good place.
Speaker 3 (01:27:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:27:32):
I'm just giving out shoutouts down.
Speaker 3 (01:27:33):
So does she come out for the Electric Daisy Festival thing?
Speaker 2 (01:27:37):
Yeah, she's coming out in May. Yeah, oh my god. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:27:40):
She's told like twenty five, I don't know your wife.
Speaker 2 (01:27:44):
Twenty yeah yeah, all right, she tells, yeah, she's twenty
nine plus a couple more come more years. Yeah, we're
having a party this year for her, one of her
for a milestone birthday. Oh wow, And we have a
DJ coming in the house. It's gonna be a big deal.
Speaker 1 (01:28:04):
It's gonna be fancy over there.
Speaker 2 (01:28:05):
It's it's it's yeah, she interviewed. We're having DJ, like
a legit DJ co some of the house to for
the party.
Speaker 1 (01:28:11):
And you're like, hey, just you know, to mix it up. God, Yeah,
exactly right, just one from left field.
Speaker 2 (01:28:19):
Yeah, we're gonna have to tell her we're gonna it's
one of those parties. Guys. I don't know if you
have neighbors near you where you have to like tell
the neighbor like, oh, from four to ten on this day,
I will be home.
Speaker 1 (01:28:30):
Don't don't complain. How about this? Let me bring it
back to college basketball on you here, because there was
a question thrown at Bruce Bruce Pearl yesterday. So Auburn
has lost three of four games, okay, and so the
reporters like, hey, Bruce, three or four losses. You just
sort of flushed this. And listen to what Bruce Pearl says.
(01:28:51):
I love this SoundBite, really good stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:28:53):
Is this kind of a flush it move?
Speaker 3 (01:28:54):
Forward.
Speaker 2 (01:28:55):
Is there a panic at all? What are you looking
at with this? Man?
Speaker 7 (01:28:57):
I'm really glad you asked me that question. We lost
to Alabama, Tennessee and at Texas A and M. Yeah
we're panicked kind of a that's a real softball lot
teams unless the buzzer against Alabama, we had possessions here,
So yeah, we're panicked. I can hardly wait till next
(01:29:19):
weekend and start playing again. Just get me here, let's
get to Sunday, Let's find out where we're going, let's
find out who we're playing. Let's get back to work,
looking forward, not back.
Speaker 1 (01:29:29):
So I guess that's the question with Auburn. Do you
look at them losing three of four as hey, the
pack is catching up to them a little bit, they're
not separating themselves the way they once were earlier in
the season. Or do you look at it the other
way and say, hey, this makes them even more dangerous.
They've dropped three of four. They're going to be more
focused come tournament time. Which do you think it is?
Speaker 2 (01:29:53):
Uh? I mean, be as focus as you want. They're
not playing the same basketball they played the previous four months,
so I I they're not a fade team that they're
just not playing as well as they happen.
Speaker 3 (01:30:10):
I like his answer. I like I like his answer.
Speaker 2 (01:30:14):
He shouldn't be panicking, but I but I just don't
think that the team is playing as well. And it's
a fair question to ask, does it matter the first
two out if you were one? He probably not, But
you cannot deny they haven't played as well recently. They
just have made as many shots. Their shot making is
a little bit tougher.
Speaker 3 (01:30:33):
He kind of did, though. He's like, guys, come on,
we lost the buzzer here, this come on, right, We're
not yeah, we're panicking like you know, yeah, but but
you're right though. How can you look at the you know,
the games and see what you know? They lost his
free out of four and not say, well, hey, that's
interesting because good teams find ways to close. So you're
you're you're right, You're right, and uh but I'll tell
(01:30:56):
you too. I I just time of the year why
coaching is always important. It really is. I think coaching
means more in college basketball than any other sport, you know,
amateur or professional. Really, and it even gets stronger from
march madness. I think I like what he said, and
(01:31:17):
just based on that I I may tend to agree
with him, like I can't wait till they who they draw,
I know they play and how deep they go? So interesting.
Speaker 2 (01:31:26):
The thing about the coaching, I think it's it's two things.
That's one halftime adjustments and two it's the second game
of the weekend. Like there are coaches that are so
good in that second game of the weekend that the
round sas two game.
Speaker 1 (01:31:41):
And did you hear, by the way, Jeff, did you
hear they showed some of the locker room footage with
Rick Patino yesterday.
Speaker 2 (01:31:51):
From the documentary when he was just like cuss out
his players.
Speaker 1 (01:31:54):
Oh, it was so good. He's like, you know, nobody's
gonna and he's got the slight you know, East Coast
accent where he's like, no one's gonna play us as
hard as Marquette. Okay, no one, but this team's gonna
play as hard and guess what, we're gonna beat them,
and we're gonna beat whoever else is in front of us.
It's just like, let's go. I felt like I was
a Johnny right there with Rick Patino. But man, some
of these coaches, you're right, it's the in game adjustments.
(01:32:17):
But it's just the command, it's the presence that they have,
you know. And Rick Patino is one of those guys
that absolutely has it. There's no doubt. Bruce pearl is.
He's funny, right like, he's almost like the the Tom
Thibodeau of college basketball, where he's just a grinder and
I love it. It's just passion, passion, passion, But at
(01:32:37):
some point you run a little low on gas. And
you've seen this with Auburn. The good news is they
have until next Thursday or Friday to regroup. They're gonna
be fine. But they've been a tired basketball team down
the stretch they have.
Speaker 2 (01:32:53):
They have and again maybe the rest will do him good.
They played yesterday like they were trying to win, right.
I think sometimes you can see those teams that are
tired this time of year. It's not how they played, right,
I mean, they played, They played Tennessee tough yesterday. I
just were able to get home in the end. So
I think it's fair to to ask you know again,
to ask you know him how he feels about his team. Yea,
(01:33:17):
And the way they've stalled out, is he again, is
he concerned? I would say no, I mean, there's no
chance he's concerned.
Speaker 1 (01:33:26):
Sure, who would be your next favorite team if you
put Duke and Auburn to the side, because those teams
have been the class of college basketball this season. The
next team that you like the most. I feel like
a lot of people love Florida right now with that
year squad.
Speaker 2 (01:33:40):
I think, Yeah, I also, Houston can score this year,
which they haven't been able to do in the past,
and they play really good defense. So that would be
a team that I would I would think I would
turn to as a potential championship team. And then I mean, look,
if Alibama is just I mean, I can't be Alabama.
Speaker 1 (01:34:06):
Which do you feel worse about? I should say, like,
I am, Bama has the offense and no defense. But
Houston and Saint John's They've got the defense, but sometimes
their offense.
Speaker 2 (01:34:16):
Yeah. I think Wisconsin's a little bit live too, the
way they play basketball. Okay, Yeah, but the Big Ten
is obviously you know, we've seen the struggle here a
little bit at times.
Speaker 1 (01:34:29):
Yeah, you go Florida.
Speaker 3 (01:34:30):
Did you go Floridas that I think I like to
be Florida too.
Speaker 2 (01:34:34):
Yeah, they would be next up for me. But I
mean everyone's betting Florida today too, So yeah, that's not really.
Speaker 3 (01:34:39):
I mean they played one of the toughest schedules in
the country. Uh almost every game the last two months
was against a tournament caliber team. So and that that Clayton,
Walter Clayton Junior, maybe the most underrated player in the country.
So good. It might be the best point guard in
the country. Actually, they're they're stacked a guard, which the
shooters and Martin Richard. I mean, they have some big
(01:35:00):
boys inside the rebound block shots, play great defense top
to bottom. Really, this team just might be the best
team in the country. And when it comes to making
a deep run of the tournament, having that best point
guard is so important. So they have a chance to
run the table. And they have a good chance, you know,
as good a chance I should say, to run the
(01:35:22):
table as Duke or Auburn or anyone else.
Speaker 1 (01:35:25):
So yeah, sure, I think it's funny too because Walter
Clayton Junior, he was formerly a really highly recruited free safety,
and he made a play yesterday where it was almost
like he was making an interception. It looked just like
a football play. But I don't think Florida. I know
Florida doesn't get enough attention or props for their physicality.
(01:35:48):
They can play a muddy style of basketball, but it's
the offense that catches your eye. You'll see him score
in the eighties or the nineties, or they're hitting their
threes or their offense gets a lot of attention. But
they can defend like their night and day defensively compared
to Alabama, you know, right and just stands out like
(01:36:08):
crazy yesterday. It's those two teams were so different defensively.
I know Bama was a little bit banged up with
Sears and Nelson got banged up, but they played no defense.
Even tho those guys were fully healthy, they'd be nowhere
near Florida defensively.
Speaker 2 (01:36:21):
No, no, so again, I mean today's games should not
change much. I think my opinion of your opinion about
these teams moving forward. But yeah, it'd be fun to
to sort of see if you know, there's I've seen
you know, Joeln already put out of things saying, you know,
maybe if Tennessee wins, they move up a little bit.
It's unlikely, he said, and condition can move up a
seed possibly if they win today as well. So obviously
(01:36:44):
these games you'll do matter besides just the kind of
the wins and losses here, they could change you who
you play in the first round, where you playing the
first rounds, or the idea of can you get to
where you want to be in the in the postseason.
I will say that one more thing I'll say about
this too. Just don't pick long they don't win, they
don't win the championship. Don't don't throw your money away
betting on someone that it has no chance to win
(01:37:05):
a championship because you think that if things break right,
they can that that's not college basketball ever works.
Speaker 1 (01:37:11):
Just bet a single game. If you're gonna do it right.
Speaker 2 (01:37:13):
You have to just roll over the money lines on
those yes.
Speaker 1 (01:37:16):
Yeah, yeah, but not to win it at all. All right,

we will explain as Fox Sports Radios count presented by BEDMGM.

(01:39:07):
We got some picks to make to do it.
Speaker 3 (01:39:12):
Rapid fire.
Speaker 1 (01:39:14):
All right, crack, we start with you. What's something you
like today?
Speaker 3 (01:39:17):
This one's gonna surprise you guys. Let me just make
sure the current line is still there. Yes it is. Okay,
bet MGM has five and a half on this game. Yes,
I'm going to go against everyone else. I'm gonna take
Tennessee plus five and a half first, Florida here, everyone's
all over Florida. I get it. They're they're one of
the greatest. It's not the greatest team in the count.
(01:39:38):
But uh, give me give me the extra hook there,
give me the five and a half with Tennessee.
Speaker 2 (01:39:42):
I had a buddy testing this morning, said, are we
all gonna fade nineteen ninety one? UNLV, I mean Florida today? Uh,
because everyone lives on Florida today, So I mean a
bad place to be. I mean, I'll get it feels.
And I think sometimes when you make some of these
wagers like you, I think if you're a little bit
nervous anxious, you might be on the right side, right,
non nervousation. You might lose all your money because nervous
(01:40:04):
and anxious of betting against the team like Florida, right,
we were like, but sometimes those butterflies are actually the
right side, you know, even though you might, you know,
might lose a wager. Who knows, I like UAB against
Memphis today. I told you that already. H and de
Vincenzo over two and a half three point attempts made,
three pointers made against the Jazz today. Uh So that's
(01:40:25):
what I'm eyeing as well, Dallas Stars over two and
a half goals as well in the National Hockey League.
Speaker 1 (01:40:33):
Oh okay, nice, I'm gonna go Yale. Give me Yale
over eighty one and a half their team total, like
what you laid out there, Jeff. Not exactly lockdown defense
over there with Cornell. So give me Yale to score.
Speaker 2 (01:40:48):
But after maybe like thirty points in the first half
and then another forty two in the second half, Right,
that's that's like, yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:40:56):
They'll make you sweat. You know, they'll have thirty three
in the first half and you're like.
Speaker 2 (01:41:00):
I we'll tell you the first half under is man
like these teams just without the fouls the end of
the first half and they go slow in the first half.
It's a it's a much better Wedgetter maation.
Speaker 1 (01:41:09):
All right, we got time. Let's do this slow.
Speaker 4 (01:41:13):
This is the best play of the day.
Speaker 1 (01:41:16):
The man, all right, crack, what do you have for us?
Speaker 3 (01:41:19):
Well, you know there's some buyback on this game that
starts in six minutes. That means people are trying to
middle The game opened up one sixteen and a half
one sixty one, down to like one fifty six and
a half one fifty seven. I've seen for our hair
back up to one fifty eight and a half over
fifteen at bet MGM Yale Cornell under the points Yale
Cornell under one fifty eight and a half minus oh five.
Speaker 1 (01:41:41):
Okay, I hope Yale wins one hundred to like forty.
Speaker 3 (01:41:46):
How about
