Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
No, let's go Stick and Genius O, big boy, let's go,
Let's go. Welcome Now, this is a unique week for you, right,
no fill ins this week, so you've been everything is
pinned up and ready to go tonight. Right.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Well, I'm thinking about, and I haven't quite decided yet
of adding my name to the NFL Draft Show next Thursday.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
Oh really, Well, I just feel like dude, and I
love the draft.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
You know that. I mean, I know you love the draft.
I love the draft, but the Draft show is usually
where no rumors are confirmed.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
Who's on the Draft show this year?

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Who scouting reports are out there?

Speaker 4 (00:44):
Who schedule?

Speaker 2 (00:46):
You scheduled Jay Glazer? Okay, you scheduled from two pros
and a cup of Joe. I assume LeVar Arrington is
one of the pros and the former New York Jets
general manager Joe Douglas.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
And Jenny schaff too, right, she is the host. Yeah,
so I may put myself on that drive and decide it.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
So do you want me whenever we do these reads
for a ship station.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
And maybe Arnie say and do you want.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Me to say? And maybe Arnie?

Speaker 4 (01:16):
Yeah, you could add that that's fair Birsch.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Ryan Bersching or in tonight, does he have the authority
for me to do that? Or am I gonna get
in trouble if I do that?

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Absolutely not, he doesn't have the authority.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
I mean, I'm just asking you pretend like you're the
boss around.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
Here's back to our old producer, the what we fired too.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
It's been a long bursh When were you last on
this pro groom on a regular basis.

Speaker 5 (01:40):
A regular basis two football seasons ago?

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Probably it's been a minute of it been a long time.

Speaker 5 (01:46):
Also, Arnie didn't fire me. Doesn't have the authority to
do that either.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
He doesn't have the authority to do a lot of
things he thinks he does. But as we come to
you tonight from the tire rack dot Com studios, tire
rack dot com will help you get there an unmatched
selection as free shipping, free road hazard protection, over ten
thousand recommended installers. Tire rack dot com The way tire
buying should be. I was highly disappointed, Arnie Spaniard, highly

(02:09):
disappointed in you because again you sent out the Roman
numeral rundown at eight thirty am this morning.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
I actually wrote it Saturday night.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
The masters at number eight eight in the Roman numeral rundown.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Yeah, I guess it's no order.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
It's in no particular order.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Wait wait, wait then, why do you do it in
numbers if it's in no particular order?

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Well, I you know, I guess I could have moved
it up a little bit, but yeah, a little bit.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
I thought you would be beating your own chest because
you said this on a whim last Sunday night, didn't you.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
Yeah, well, I mean, matter of fact, if you want
to hear it again, we haven't we have.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
It for you. Wait, you had them go back and
cueue up your pick from.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
My first time in twelve years I had him do
anything for me.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
All right, Well, let's hear it.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
Yeah, let's hear Mary.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
You got that?

Speaker 5 (03:00):
I got it? Actually?

Speaker 4 (03:01):
Oh gee, thank You're to do it right?

Speaker 5 (03:03):
Sorry, Okay, here, here we go.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Here, We're finally gonna have a buzzer beater. Chris Houston
wins it. Oh my sixty nine sixty eight?

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Oh oh, Florida. Is that the one army? Is that
the pick that you were one to talk about?

Speaker 3 (03:23):
No, that wasn't the pick I wanted to talk about.
I want one where I picked Rory mclroy.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Oh, okay, okay, okay, I found okay, okay.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Rory mccelroy, who has not won a major since twenty fourteen.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
Guess what, plank mm hmmm, he's gonna win it this weekend.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Wow. Wow, I'll get you.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
That was an easy one though.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
That was no big deal. Really golf clap for Arnie
Well when he started out with like a seven. I
don't know if you could say it was really that easy.
You hate golf.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
I do because I was forced to play so much,
but I was actg into this what I I watched.
I watched the whole last day. I enjoyed it. I
love the back and forth. I right off the bat
when Rory was choking off the first hole, I'm like,
oh my goodness, this is gonna be absolutely crazy.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
It had so many great moments.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Actually got into it, to be honest with you, Chris,
but you're right, I'm not a big golfer. I'm not
gonna pretend like I am or anything like that. But
I did enjoy the drama, and I'm glad that Rory
did win because man, when they pushing it hard and
I'm waiting for they told about every bad story in
that guy's life for Gryde out loud. So I'm glad
he finally got a done after what eleven or twelve
years or whatever it was.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
I mean, it is kind of funny, and I'm not ripping.
I was as happy as the next guy. I think
Rory has been my favorite dude for a while. I'm
a big cho even though he's a Texas crab. I'm
a big Scottie Scheffler guy. I love Max Homer. I'm
digging the guys in that Tiger Golf Tour or whatever
it's called that they're doing. But I like Rory. But

(05:00):
people act like he's just been terrible his whole career
and this is some magical moment that they treat it
like he was the worst thing that's ever happened, and
he's had the worst upbringing. I mean, he's won three
major champ well, he's won three of the majors.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
I mean no long time.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
It's like it's like going to the Super Bowl your
first year and not going back into the year twelve
or something like that.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
But I mean I understand that, but it's he's still
competitive in all these tournaments. They act like he's finishing
dfl or something. I get it. It's part of the drama.
But he becomes mister golf Expert, the sixth golfer to
win the career Grand Slam. You want to take a
guess a swing at any of the other five. I

(05:48):
guess Tiger ding Ding ding On. Man, You'll get two
right off the top of the head. Jack, look at you,
Look at you? Do you have a golf show on
Fox Sports range?

Speaker 4 (06:00):
You know, because I should be the golf shows, no doubt.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
So you should be on the Draft Show and the
Golf Show.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
Yeah, there's no doubt.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
Tiger Woods, Jack Nicholas, Gary pre Player, Ben Hogan, Gene
Sarazen and now Rory mckelroy.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
I was about to guess Gene.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
I know you were. Yeah. It was a good weekend
for the numbers for golf too, the TV numbers for
the now we won't get the final round for a minute,
but the Saturday, the Saturday numbers was streaming and everything involved.
All right, it's pretty incredible, you know, to see what
the numbers did. And I don't know, listen, you're gonna

(06:38):
get those moments in sports where you end up getting
two of the sports stars and I think when you
have Rory McElroy, and I mean Bryson A Shamba, I
think is one of the most popular golfers in the
world right now with his YouTube page and the success
of that. But I mean, you couldn't ask for anything
better if you're golf in a post Tiger era where

(07:00):
we're still kind of trying to find out where its
place is in kind of like the sports depth chart,
if you will.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
I was gonna say, this is the first time, because
you said, you know, I'm not a big golf fan.

Speaker 4 (07:12):
I don't watch a lot of it.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
This is the first time, whether it was any major,
that I was watching a whole tournament like this when
it didn't involve Tiger or Phil or any one of
those two, you know, coming down to the wire.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
It was I don't think you're alone in that.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
Yeah, yeah, I think there's.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
A lot of people that felt that way, a lot
of people that did. I. Now, I'm not somebody who
can sit here and like pretend that I started watching
on Thursday and didn't turn my TV off ESPN or
ESPN Plus or CBS until Sunday night. But I did
find myself more than I ever have before, like racing

(07:50):
to the leaderboard if I had missed a little bit right,
and I you know, I wanted to see Rory win,
but are I don't know why. I kind of found
myself rooting for it to Shambo too.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
I yeah, I wasn't.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
I didn't want Justin Rose to win when he you know,
he was seven strokes back after ten.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
I mean, I didn't.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
Even consider him that he was going to be in
the running like he did.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
That was absolutely amazing.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
And by the way, and because I'm not the big
golf officionado, what's up with Scheffler and Rory? Is there
like some big beefer or something like that that I
don't know about.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
You mean a Shambo and Rory?

Speaker 1 (08:30):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (08:30):
Was that who put the jacket on him? No, Scheffler did, Yeah, Chef,
I'm talking about Scheffler. Did you see the video? I
mean I saw a video of him putting the jacket
on Rory and then like bolting like his feet were
on fire, and people like, what's going on with him?

Speaker 4 (08:48):
How can we just bolted like that or something?

Speaker 2 (08:50):
I think to give him his moment maybe, I mean,
there's there's beef between Rory and Bryson, because that's PGA
versus Live, right, is beef versus a beef between Scheffler
and Rory. I don't think so you're the golf, you're
the golf. I saw. I've seen it. I've seen every
angle of him having.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
Because he took he didn't just go to he didn't
just go to the back of the room. He just
like he he left. It's like he left the room
or something like that. Elvis has left the building.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
I mean, he just took golf or something.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
You know, well, I would expect that you would know
this as the golf expert. But I can tell you,
at least from my experience, I don't think there's any
beef between those two guys. I think they are I
think they're boys. Actually, I think they're pretty tight. I
think a lot of people like Rory hey Man, whenever
we thought that Live and PGA were gonna go mono, imno,

(09:44):
and they go, you know, punching each other in the face,
and ones might go out of business. I mean, Rory
was the guy that came out and stood up for
the PGA. Him and Tiger started fighting for it and
said he'd never go to Live regardless of the money.
And I don't want to say, listen, he didn't save
the tour or anything, but Arnie, that was a pretty
big moment. And so I think a lot of golfers

(10:05):
respect Rory macleroy. I think he's well liked well. Certainly
the crowd was behind him. There was no doubt about that.
They were going crazy every time, you know, they put
up the score. And he that little putt that he
missed on eighteen. My heart just sank for the guy.
I'm like, oh my, I thought he was gonna lose it. Oh,
I thought he was gonna lose it.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
I was expected to throw his club. I like I
would have gold into the water. Could you imagine just
taking your butter, just throwing it or something.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
No, I absolutely would, especially if I was him. Well,
congratulations on calling it for Rory tonight. I guess maybe
the question we can pose on X on Twitter tonight
at Stinking Genius Wanted Plank Show and everybody should be
following us at Fox Sports Radio. Were you more drawn
in in a post Tiger And by the way, we've
been in a post Tiger mindset for a really long time, right,

(10:54):
He hasn't been competitive in majors for a really long time,
but he snuck up a couple of years in one
once we're like, oh, maybe he's back. But in a
post Tiger era. I wonder, Arnie, if there was a
lot of people like you that looked at today, looked
at this week and said, Hey, I'm into golf more
than I ever have been because I want to see
Rory winn. You know, I want to see Rory McElroy
get it done and listen. Keopkaz, I'm sorry. Not de

(11:18):
Shambo very popular with all the things that he's doing
in social media. I think Scheffler's getting pretty popular too.
He's on, you know, more than just a couple of
random TV commercials. So I don't know. Maybe it was
a lot of people came back to golf and they
got what they needed.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
Dude, is it bad for me that I don't distinguish
the PGA players.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
From the lav.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
No, No, it's not okay, but everyone but people who
really really love golf do. Oh my god. And it's
very it's very controversial, it's very standoffish.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
I mean, I was I was gonna bring this up
later on to the crowd that goes to the Masters
and the way they get into it just from watching
it guy playing golf. I I mean I was just
cracking out many so they're so into it. Man, it's
just funny. Man, it just cracks me up.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
So it's the uh, it's the Fox Sports Sunday Show
with stinking genius.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
Already span, I'm already getting ripped. I haven't even made
my NBA picks. I'm already getting ripped.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
Well do you wanna do you want to talk about that?
Not necessarily your picks, but I mean I've been a
firm believer and you and I have joked about this
that the NBA season was really limping towards the finish line.
Oh yeah, and oh Roman numeral number one. We got
the playoff set and that was one heck of a final. Well,
let me rephrase that. We had two pretty good games
on the final day of the round.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
I was just about to say, before we even get
to the playoffs, what was that all about? For full
slate on Friday, nothing on Saturday, and then load up
on Sunday against the Masters were most of the games
were meaningless?

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Is that?

Speaker 4 (12:51):
Is that the way it came about? Am I figuring
this out right?

Speaker 2 (12:54):
Or what I think you did? You know, if I
was the NBA, I honestly would have taken the two
games that really meant something, played them like on Monday.
I know that they can't do it, but you're right,
there was so many idea was that games, I don't know,
they need to be fired. Can we fire people tonight
on the show?

Speaker 3 (13:13):
What was the idea for everybody taking Saturday off? I
don't get that.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
I don't either. In fact, you know what's funny that
you say that is we did our show on Friday night,
the overnight show on Friday night, and it hadn't even
registered that there were no games on Saturday. And I
was kind of going through things to watch and I
kept scrolling, where's the NBA games? Yeah? Wow? I was
the same way, I mean, why are there no NBA games?

(13:38):
And then they started at like eleven am this morning,
nine am out of the West coast. But matchups, what
are you most intrigued by? Anything? Really jumping out at you?

Speaker 3 (13:49):
Well, you mean in the playing games or the or
the overall matchups?

Speaker 2 (13:55):
I don't care you pick. You're the boss around here.
I'm just, you know, driving on a Sunday night.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
I mean in the playing games.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
Yeah, I mean, I want to see what Golden State's
gonna do against Memphis. Obviously the first game. I think
that's gonna be a big one. I think Golden State's
gonna be intriguing and to see see how far they're
going to go. Matter of fact, I was looking at
my West Coast and who is I was gonna pick
up my Western Conference, And as much as I want to,
the only two teams that really stick out that I

(14:22):
feel confident is my Oklahoma City Thunder.

Speaker 4 (14:25):
Obviously, am I jinxing you yet on that?

Speaker 2 (14:28):
Or no, I know you're trying, but go ahead.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
And my Lakers, who I mean, I don't have confidence
in the Nuggets, and that was the only other team
I would feel confident in taking out there. So yeah,
I want to see how Golden State's gonna do. I
love the Lakers against the Timberwolves. I think they're just
going to probably sweep them. Maybe that's how easy it's

(14:50):
going to be. I think that Nuggets Clippers series is
going to be absolutely awesome, and I think it's Sacramento
gets by Dallas in that playing game in the West
in I like Orlando against Atlanta and that one. I
think that's gonna be a good matchup. That's in Drigguing
and of course my Nicks in Detroit. That's gonna be
a tough one. That's a tough first round matchup there

(15:11):
for the Dicks. That's that's a brutal one.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
No, you know it's gonna happen. The Knicks are gonna
win the title because you've already imploded your little parlay
that you right, right, so the other half of it's
gonna hit. I think one of the best things that
could have I hate I don't know why you're just
dismissing Denver and the Clippers as a threat, but then
you say it's gonna be a great series. They scared

(15:34):
the hell out of me. The Clippers may be playing
the best ball they're outside of the Thunder during the
last part of the NBA season and the Thunder and
the Nuggets listen. I know they've played a couple of
bad teams, but seems like they've kind of found a
rhythm in the post Michael Malone era.

Speaker 3 (15:49):
Right.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
I know it's only like three games, but I think
the best thing that could have happened for the Thunder
is to see those two teams at four and five
and knowing that they are going to beat d l
out of each other in that first round. That's gonna
be a brawl between those two teams.

Speaker 3 (16:02):
And you know what, when you look at the East,
first of all, if I'm a Celtic fan, it's gotta
worry me, uh that Jaylen Brown's getting a needle in
his knee.

Speaker 4 (16:12):
That can't be a good thing.

Speaker 6 (16:13):
Not good.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
You know, that's got to be sold him down a
little bit. We'll see what happens when the playoffs come around.
That means it's all Cleveland for the taking. And if
the Knicks could pick it up and not go oh
for a million, oh for one hundred against what the
top two or three teams, maybe they'll make a run
of things. But other than that, it's it's gonna be
Cleveland if if Boston doesn't play at full.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
Strength, can I make a case for the potential of
a surprise in the East. That's right. I like Detroit
a lot. I didn't really. I watched your Knicks play
Detroit in the last game that Kate Cunningham played, and
I'm not gonna lie. Uh, Detroit impressed me. I've seen
a lot of them this year. I was really impressed
with them. But what if what if Joannis and Dame

(16:55):
get hot? I mean, could could Milwaukee make a run?
I mean the way Giannis is playing down the stretch, dude,
he looks really good. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:04):
I don't feel confident in them either. I mean, okay,
you know, especially look at the years. Look at the
wins Cleveland put up, and look at the winds Oklahoma
City put on.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
I'm not doubting.

Speaker 4 (17:15):
Six was it? Sixty eight wins? And we don't say
boo about them.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
I've never seen a team almost win seventy games, and
all the national media we don't say boo about this
team because we're.

Speaker 4 (17:27):
Not la or anything.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
What are you saying? Literally, I've talked about them every
single week on this show because you're fever Globa every right,
But don't act like no one's talking about it. And
every single week on this show you grinch and moan
and say that the regular season doesn't matter. The problem
now here. You come all of a sudden the day
before the playoffs are like, oh, sixty eight wins, amazing, incredible.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
If if the Knicks had sixty eight wins, we'd be
doing three hours on the Knicks every Sunday night. Okay,
I want you to know that if the Lakers had
sixty eight wins, we'd be doing three hours on the legs.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
Yes, we'd be talking about good. What more would you
say besides, hey, sixty eight wins, you'd be talking about
Lebron's legacy and all the crap you want to fight about.
Now you're still having four or five in the Roman
numeral rundown. Hell, you have the Masters Championship.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
Eighth and a lot of a lot of our listeners
probably agree with that too.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Anyway, Thunder had the fifth most wins in NBA history,
number one in point differential in NBA history, the biggest
gap between the one and two seed in NBA history,
the most double digit wins in NBA history, and the
best record versus another conference in NBA history.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
That's not bad.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
You don't want to give him any respect? Just can
you say?

Speaker 4 (18:46):
You like it's all on me. I don't understand that.
But you're the only one because because I like to
see the Lakers.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Go to Why do you like to see the Lakers?

Speaker 4 (18:55):
Well, I think that's well.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
One.

Speaker 4 (18:57):
I like to see the Lakers go far. I like
to see Lebron.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
Going you say, Lebron, were you rooting for the Calves
when he was there were heat? No, Okay, then that's
not a reason. Okay take that. Also lived in Los
Angeles for a while. Oh now you're gonna claim a
fandom on it. Okay, here we go. All right, listen,
we gotta take a break. When we come back, we'll
lay out those playoff matchups. More from the Masters. We

Speaker 2 (21:02):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
At first, I thought there was gonna be a lot
of movement in the top five. I'm going to take
that back, though, I don't think that's going to happen.
I don't think it's going to be a trade up
there in the top five. I think people are gonna
hold on to their picks.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
You don't think people are gonna be willing to give up,
say an early second and a third to move up
a bit in the first round or future picks.

Speaker 3 (21:22):
Yeah, but you usually got to give up more than that.
You know, you really do have to par Are you
talking about moving up? Yeah, well that's another thing too.
I mean, not like Pittsburgh moving up from twenty one
to a top five.

Speaker 4 (21:33):
That's not happening. That you've got to give up way
too much.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
Do you think, what do you think of the rumors? Well,
I'm asking you whenever you have just been falling for
fake reports like crazy. I know, I love that it's okay,
the buzz is building that Jackson Dart could end up
being the ninth pick over Shadoor Sanders. Now I still
firmly believe, and I think I'm the only one. There's

(21:56):
a big old rope it up going along going on
here with the Giants. I still think that they're gonna
go quarterback at three. I don't know how you can
have that quarterback room and not go quarterback at three,
but I I mean Jackson Dart at nine, you think
he could go that early.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
I don't know if he's gonna go that high, but
firmly I've been saying all along bet the over two
and a half what was it two and a half
on quarterbacks being taken in the first round, that that's
like a steal they've got to have. They had to
have adjusted that. Chris and I do like Jackson Doret.
You like him way before I do. I gotta give
you a little credit. But we didn't think he was

(22:33):
gonna be a first round pick. Now he seems like
a solid first round pick, not even a late first
round pick, a solid like mid to high first round pick.

Speaker 4 (22:43):
So no, I like him a wat too.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
I don't know if he's gonna go over Sanders, but
if I was gonna put like money on it or
a percentage on it, I'd say Sanders seventy thirty will
go ahead of Jackson Dart.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
So for the odds makers, here's what I got, fan duel.

Speaker 3 (23:02):
And by the way, real quick, I just want to
say something, how come they don't put odds on like
when Rory's putting for the last one to win it,
like he has a seventy two chance of making this
button winning the Masters.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
I'm sure they do, do they not?

Speaker 4 (23:15):
No, I don't think they do that. That'd be awesome
if they put that up.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
I can't find any odds for the over under on
the number of quarterbacks that'll go in the first round
right now on FanDuel. Again, I'm a new but this
I think I'm just I think I'm in a state
where it's legal. That's why the website is working. But
Travis Hunter is the odds on favor to go number
two overall to Cleveland and minus three ten with Abdul
Carter the second choice. Abdull Carter's a pretty solid favorite

(23:44):
to go third in the draft right now.

Speaker 4 (23:47):
Because I guess the that.

Speaker 3 (23:51):
X ray came back where he was healing and he's
not gonna need surgery at least that's the narrative right now.
Right well, the day after the draft, it's like, well,
we misreaded. We were to get upside down. It's not
even one we screwed up.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
You know, since you're such a big draft guy, here's
there's six guys here who have odds to potentially be
a top five pick and will Campbell. I'm sure you're
a big fan of him, right minus one seventy five.
Mason Graham, I love him minus one forty armand Membu
big offensive lineman out of Missouri minus plus two hundred.

(24:26):
But this is interesting. Shardoor Sanders odds to be a
top five pick plus two thirty not bad, uh Jalen
Walker plus five hundred, with Ashton Gent plus seven fifty.
There's a lot of a there's a lot of other
numbers on here, like, for instance, Jackson Darts plus fifty

(24:47):
five hundred. I guess there's more than six here, but
anything due.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
We thought, Remember when we thought my uh McMillan, the
wide receiver out of Arizona, was gonna be like a
top three pick.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
What happened?

Speaker 6 (25:00):
He?

Speaker 3 (25:00):
I think he dropped because of that comment he made
that he doesn't watch any film.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
What's whatsoever? You see that comment?

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, we talked about it last week. Yeah. Also,
I don't think he's that good. WHOA. I don't think
he's the best receiver in this draft.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
No, but you can't teach height and you can't teach speed,
and he's got both.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Right catching and being able to get great hands great,
all look at you. All of a sudden, it's an
Arizona guy. If it was an Arizona State guy, you're like, yeah,
I don't like him very much. You know, I like.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
Daniels when he was at Arizona State. I gave him
his credit. I always liked McMillan.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
I'm deep. They cleaned his locker out and said he
sucked when he was an Arizona State. What are you
talking about? You didn't know what the hell he was
and he went to l s U.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
I guess I was ahead of the times that, I
guess what do you want to say?

Speaker 2 (25:51):
All right, oh, Steve the Segers here, we'll talk more
draft coming up. The saga is in the house though,
to get us caught up on everything that's trending. What's
going on?

Speaker 7 (25:58):
Steve, Hello, gentlemen, we do have him Masters winner and
it was Rory McElroy in a playoff over Justin Rose Sunday. Yeah, okay,
pardon if we don't write those down in Penn. After
the week after week after week of selections, he does
complete the career Grand Slam. It's his first major win
since twenty fourteen. McElroy now one of the six men

(26:20):
with a career Grand Slam, first since Tiger Woods in
two thousand. As you mentioned Jack Nicholas on that list,
Ben Hogan and others Rose in twenty seventeen had lost
this playoff to Sergio Garcia lost the Masters in a
playoff today, the NBA's regular season ended. The playoffs first
round starts Saturday. The second round begins in early May.
In the East, all the seeds were already locked in.

(26:42):
We know the number one seed is Cleveland, number two
is Boston. New York is number three. New York won
its finale at Brooklyn. Milwaukee won an overtime against Detroit
pat connoton forty three points. Milwaukee's won eight straight. Cleveland
at home played a double overtime game. Indiana beat him.
Donovan Mitch of the Cabs missed a fourth straight game
with his sprained ankle. The team says he should be

(27:04):
back at practice. In the East, we do know first
round series will include Nicks against the Pistons, Pacers against
the Bucks starting next weekend. In the West, first round
series of Lakers versus Minnesota starting next weekend. Minnesota won
its finale, got forty three points from Anthony Edwards and
beating Utah. Lakers sat everybody and lost at Portland. The

(27:25):
Blazers did give head coach Chauncey Billips a contract extension.
Denver won easily at New York today. The Nuggets clinched
the four seed with the win, and they'll face the
Clippers in a first round series. The Clippers have won
eight straight. They got an overtime victory at Golden State
one twenty four to one to nineteen. The Warriors' loss
drops them to seventh in the West, so they'll have
to host a playing game against Memphis late Tuesday. Among

(27:49):
the nine, it was eleven yesterday, nine NHL games, We've
got the late game through two periods in Anaheim now
Ducks shutting out Colorado two nothing. Edmonton won at Winnipeg
four to one. Kyle Larson the NASCAR winner at Bristol, Tennessee.
Kyle Kirkwood took the Long Beach Ground Prix. Tonight at
Dodger Stadium, the Cubs beat La four to two. Pete

(28:10):
crow Armstrong, a an LA native, with his parents in
the stands, hit two solo homers and had a triple.
Cubs will be at San Diego on Monday. Bad news
for the Cubs. Lefty pitcher Justin Steele will have season
ending elbow surgery. San Diego is ten and oh at
home after shutting out Colorado six to nothing. Michael King
three and OH got the win. A complete game, two hitter,

(28:32):
one hundred and ten pitches thrown the loss to the
Rockies Kyle Freeland, who's ozho to three. Arizona beat Milwaukee
five to two. Mets won again. It was one nothing
at the A's in the sixth inning, eight nothing Mets
the final CODEI senga the victory. Mets are ten and five.
The A's in Sacramento two and seven at their new home.
Seattle won its fourth straight three to one over Texas,

(28:54):
Beating pitcher Nathan Valdi. Logan Gilbert got the win. Save
number six for Andre smunospeck to you, Oh, you for
getting a score.

Speaker 3 (29:01):
You're forgetting my rec league game. We were down by
twenty four in the second half and we lost in
overtime though, but it was a great comeback.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Wait, you were down twenty four and you forced overtime.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
Yeah, yeah, I had a three point. I busted a
three pointer. Yeah, did you so you got to play?

Speaker 2 (29:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (29:17):
I played about fifteen minutes.

Speaker 7 (29:19):
It's kind of like his picks. He makes fifty two
of them one hits, and he.

Speaker 4 (29:24):
Talks about the one good comeback down twenty four. Give
us a little credit.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
Come on, man, So Roman numeral two was the NFL draft.
I want to put a couple of finishing touches on this,
and then we'll get to your tweets next. You feel
like I do that the draft early starts at too.
This is cam Ward number one, and then we'll see
what the Browns do it too.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
I think, well, I think the Browns are gonna end
up taking Abdul Carter or Traviser Sore Travis Hunter, and
that's preatcha.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
Well, then all right, let me let me didn't take
that a step further. If we accept both, right, the
cam Wwart's going one and then it's a two man
battle between Abdul Carter from Penn State or Travis Hunter
from Colorado, then is it fair to say that the
draft really starts at three where there's unknown with what
the giants might do or do you feel confident with

(30:17):
what they're gonna do?

Speaker 1 (30:18):
No?

Speaker 3 (30:18):
I don't feel confident, and I mean far from confident
about what the giants will do. I think you're right there.
It probably does start at number three. I mean, they
could go chalk and, you know, do what everybody expects
them to do.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
Or maybe they mix up.

Speaker 3 (30:32):
Maybe they do make that one trade and messes everything
up in the draft and then it really gets crazy
out there. So it's a possibility that they do something
like that.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
I still firmly believe that a quarterbacks in play at three.
I know that everyone's telling you it's not, but I
just I, Arnie, it's Jabis Winston, Russell Wilson in Tommy DeVito, Right,
that's what you're going with With your job on the line,
Like their jobs on the line, they're gonna get fired.

(31:04):
You think they can.

Speaker 4 (31:05):
Sanders is gonna I don't know. I just listen or
jack your charter.

Speaker 3 (31:11):
Anybody, or even if Travis ward is that's not gonna
save your job.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
I mean, so you feel better than having Cam wore.
I knew what you meant, So you would feel better
with Russell Wilson in that situation.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
If I was gonna go with somebody to save my job,
I'm gonna go with a veteran over a rookie.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
But here's the other thing here. Here's here's the other
counter that I would put to that. Don't disagree, but
you get a rookie quarterback in there, maybe you don't
win as many games, but it show's promise and you
guys clicked together, then maybe they want to continue that
semistry that's not a word, synergy, that chemistry between the

(31:53):
two of you, even if you're not necessarily winning games.

Speaker 4 (31:57):
Kind of like the Bears did. Oh wait, that's a
bad example.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
Well but the they botched that from the beginning. I mean,
they were gonna take Caleb Williams number one, and they
should have made a coaching changed in. But what do
they do when they go get bench, They go get
an offensive coach, right, So I mean there's this part
of me that wonders, Hey, if you're the Giants, well
just go ahead and get your young quarterback and then
let's see what that looks like between he and your

(32:20):
quote unquote offensive guru head coach and Brian Dable, you
know like that.

Speaker 3 (32:25):
I mean, I just don't think that Trdua Sanders is
the answer. You're not getting Ward, so what are you
reaching for at that? Then if you're the Giants, you
might as well trade down if you can get a
king's ransom, or just take the guy that you really want,
if a Travis Hunter falls to you, or if there's
somebody that you really want that you have on the board,

(32:47):
take that. But I'm okay, I'm not gonna go with
Sanders at number three. It's just not gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Or Jackson Dard or any other court.

Speaker 4 (32:53):
No, that's just too high. I'm going to trade down though.

Speaker 3 (32:56):
I mean, if you really want a guy and you
know he's right there and front of you, there's no
such thing as taking him too high. I guess if
he's gonna be that good. But I just don't know
if Sanders or Jackson Dart's gonna gonna hit that potential.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
All Right, when we come back to the ti rack
dot com studios, what say you, we'll hit your early
texts to the show at un last weeks to the show. Yeah,
it's been cooking. A reminder, though, before we grab a break,

Speaker 1 (33:43):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
All right, it's already in playing birch Ron Berschinger running
the show tonight, Mary Mack with the Saga on updates.
Let's hit some tweets, shall we? Big stories we've covered
NBA playoffs are set talked about Rory, one of the
masters at the question to find yourself watching more golf
maybe than you typically had because of the Rory story.

(34:07):
And then a little NFL draft, and I'm still I
think the draft starts it too. I don't think anyone
truly knows what Cleveland is gonna do, but I guess
we'll find out. I like this. I think this might
be a good way to start things out. This is
mister Nobody. Mister Nobody writes, not that I'm trying to
steal his gimmick, but like Shady Shady Sean is on

(34:28):
college basketball, I am on golf. I hate it. It's
boring and I don't understand the appeal of watching it.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
I can see that I can understand that too. I
feel you.

Speaker 2 (34:40):
I don't look like I said.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
This is the first golf tournament I think I've watched
post Tiger that if you know that, if it wasn't
Tiger or Phil making a bunch of noise and coming
from behind or leading or doing something, because if something,
if they're doing something, I'm douning him. Okay, And even
at that point, I don't know if I'm like, Okay.

Speaker 4 (35:01):
Two thirty, let's get right to the DV.

Speaker 3 (35:04):
You know, I'll get there in the first, second, third round,
you know, hole or whatever. I'll get there when I
get there. But this is the first time I wanted
to make sure I was in front of the TV
just to see what Rory was doing and didn't want
to miss anything.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
Gmang hits us up on Twitter. He writes, no one
named Rory should win anything. There's a lot of great
Rory athletes that are out there. Man, come on, Uh Yeah.
The NBA is not a sport. It's a game that
the Alien Commissioner allows players to take numerous days off
and spit in the face of the fans and himself.

(35:40):
I give the commissioner finger guns with the middle finger,
double middle finger. Take that at him. Wow.

Speaker 4 (35:47):
Wow, who's whose other athletes did?

Speaker 3 (35:50):
Was it the there was a New York Knicks guard
named Rory I can't remember.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
Let me let me see here, let's see what Google
brings up. I crazy. Yeah, Rory's in s Who was it?
Rory Who?

Speaker 3 (36:02):
Yeah, Rory Sparrow. There you go, Rory Sparrow, the New
York Nicks.

Speaker 4 (36:07):
That's who it was.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
Great athletes named Rory. Okay, let's see what we come
up with here.

Speaker 4 (36:12):
That's it. It's only gonna be Rory Sparrow. That's pretty
much it.

Speaker 2 (36:17):
I'm only getting Rory McElroy. So he might be onto
something right.

Speaker 4 (36:20):
There you go, he's on something, that's it.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
Yeah, I mean listen to his point under the famous
Rory page. Yeah, I'm not seeing anyone famous.

Speaker 3 (36:32):
There's more famous Arnold's than there is an Australian rules
football player named Rory Sloane.

Speaker 4 (36:39):
That doesn't count.

Speaker 2 (36:40):
Yeah, no, it doesn't at all. You know what, gimmng
You might have a point gat up, Hey, spani'l. Based
on the latest news, your Dolphins better think about picking
a wide receiver in the draft. Yeah, where's the Tyreek
Hills store in your Roman numeral Rundown. Are you like
the rest of the mainstream media trying to bury that story?

Speaker 3 (36:57):
Yeah, something like all the other mainstream media tried to
bury that story that first of all, the potential arrest
or whatever it was. That's horrible. I guess he's getting
a divorce. He really it sounds like he doesn't want
to be there. But the Dolphins are not gonna go
ahead and just give him away for free. Heck, I
don't even know if they even want to give him away.

(37:19):
I think they want to go one more year and
see what this year brings, if to it can stay healthy.
So I don't think they're going to trade him, but
I certainly don't like his attitude.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
Yeah, For those who don't know, Tyreek Hill was involved
in a situation with his wife or I guess girlfriend,
and I listen. I know that there's tons of clickbait
out there, and I know I fall for it a lot.
But I'm gonna tell you something. I almost sent you
a story that said the Cowboys were gonna trade for

(37:49):
Tyreek Hill. Oh wow, I almost got sucked in on it.
Arnie almost got sucked in on it.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
His God, was a bad situation.

Speaker 3 (37:57):
That's scared of all league, because not only did he
fight with his girlfriend, but he took the baby and
when out, they said he went to.

Speaker 2 (38:04):
The well, you's see the pictures.

Speaker 4 (38:05):
Yeah, the balcony.

Speaker 3 (38:07):
And you know, when you start doing stuff like that,
you're very worried something bad is gonna happen.

Speaker 4 (38:11):
So it was a bad situation all the way around.

Speaker 2 (38:13):
I've always been perplexed by this because I use pow
track or spot rack whenever I look at contracts, and
they'll they'll always have like a potential out, but then
there's another year on the deal. You know, he has
a potential out after this season with the Dolphins, but
this year, the cap hit this year is twenty seven

(38:36):
point six mil. Even with this potential out, which I
don't know what it is, his cap hit in twenty
twenty six Armie is fifty one million dollars. Wow, he
is He's like a quarterback. He is taking Yes, he's
taking up almost seventeen percent of your cap space based

(38:57):
on his deal into twenty twenty six. Yeah, they gotta
figure out something.

Speaker 3 (39:01):
And then if they trade him, does the new team
have to is that the same thing for the new team.

Speaker 2 (39:05):
Also, they well, you guys usually end up eating it right.

Speaker 3 (39:09):
So that's why there'd be a lot of potential suitors,
because the Dolphins would have to eat that stuff right.

Speaker 2 (39:15):
Unless they renegotiated his contract before they dealt him. I
don't the NFL has such weird rules with that. That's
whenever I that's whenever I turned to someone smarter than me,
like I'll read an article on Fox sports dot com
or something. Hey, and then one more here This is
from what Ryan. He is not feeling the golf either.
He writes, I have not watched golf since Tiger left

(39:35):
the game. I also have not watched boxing and stopped
when Tyson left the ring. Whoa, Ryan? So wait, did
he watch the Netflix fight? Did you watch whenever he
took on Jake Paul. I'm very intrigued by that.

Speaker 4 (39:48):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (39:49):
I mean, if you're gonna say you don't watch Mike
Tyson whenever he came back for that fake fight with
Jake Paul, were you all in? Yeah? I don't think
we're getting a lot of people that suddenly got sucked
back into golf, at least early through hour one. We'll see,
we'll see, we'll see if we can try to regenerate
that an hour number two. All right, when we come
back to the tirack dot com studios, I don't know

(40:11):
if a Roman numeral has ever left me more confused
and perplexed and absolutely lost. But we'll try to get
to the bottom of it next on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (40:21):
Listening to Sports Radio, we.

Speaker 2 (40:24):
Are Arnie and playing coming to you live from the
ti rack dot com studios, tire rack dot com. We'll
help you get there on unmatched selection, fast, free shipping,
free road hazard protection and over ten thousand recommended installers
tire rack dot com the way tire buying should be.
Do you want to do a quick little uh kind

(40:45):
of PostScript on the NCA tournament and what's your think? Why?

Speaker 3 (40:49):
I do want to say congratulations to you.

Speaker 4 (40:52):
You won the contest again this year, two.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
Years in a row. Right, Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 3 (40:58):
They stop giving out prizes to the host after I
won it.

Speaker 2 (41:02):
I think I believe that's incorrect because I don't think
you ever won it. Okay, but it is a little bit.
If you you watch, suddenly they'll reinstall giving gifts to
the host when they win next year. Right, And I'll finish,
and I'll finish dead last.

Speaker 3 (41:19):
And you know what I heard Convene, Conveno and Rich
congratulating you, and they didn't do a very good job.
They sounded like they were half asked.

Speaker 2 (41:29):
What were they doing? Do they do like sound effects
or something? Is that their thing?

Speaker 3 (41:33):
I don't know, but the way he said it didn't
seem very sincere.

Speaker 2 (41:37):
I don't think they have any idea who we are
or what we're on.

Speaker 4 (41:39):
And I don't want to cause any trouble between you guys.
But it didn't sound sincere.

Speaker 2 (41:44):
It didn't sound sincere. But that's fine, not I. I
just I can't wait until next year when they implement.
You know, hey, listen, it's been so successful that the
great people Attractor Supply are going to give the hosts
win or a twenty five hundred dollars card house that
I go to one every day, even though that would

(42:05):
be a lot of money to help out my little
local farm. You watch, someone like Rob Parker will win
it next year, who's never been detractor supplied his life.
I'm calling it now. By the way, Rob Parker would
have won it if Houston would have won. Oh really yeah? Yeah, wow,
isn't it weird? How I don't think anyone has really
given me credit for the incredible comeback that took place

(42:26):
in this thing, and back to back, back to back.
Like even even the boss Man when he sent the
email out he said he shared. No, no, no, I
did not share the crown last year. I won on
the tiebreaker exactly, Aaron Tarres.

Speaker 4 (42:39):
That's disrespect by our boss for doing it.

Speaker 2 (42:41):
I mean I was when I was reading, I was
like tied for it. Then why do we even fill
out the tiebreaker? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (42:49):
Right, what about the tie breaker?

Speaker 2 (42:51):
That's right, that's right. I think they do that.

Speaker 3 (42:54):
Think they shut you on purpose. I don't understand what's
going on here.

Speaker 2 (42:57):
They just they hated sits in Oklahom a thing in
our show.

Speaker 3 (43:01):
I don't want to cause any prose between you and
Convino and Rich and you and.

Speaker 4 (43:04):
The Boss and you and Rob Parker and you and
everybody else.

Speaker 2 (43:08):
Should have won?

Speaker 1 (43:10):
How did show that game?

Speaker 2 (43:12):
I should have won? Well? I mean, were you second place?

Speaker 6 (43:16):
No?

Speaker 4 (43:17):
I was up there though, like I was like halfway.

Speaker 2 (43:20):
Well again, I mean okay, if you yeah, you were
close man, good job. I wasn't.

Speaker 4 (43:26):
I should have won it and I fell apart at
the end.

Speaker 2 (43:28):
Well, I will say this much. He didn't quite fall
apart as much as Houston did at the end of
that game. Sorry to all of the Houstonians, all the
Cougar fans out there. You know, I'm a big Kelvin
Samson guy, but to have three final possessions, go turnover, turnover, turnover,
and you don't get a shot off in any of

(43:49):
those possessions.

Speaker 3 (43:51):
I tried to tell you, and you try to tell me, well,
I texted you after the game, and I go, well,
I go. Even Danny Parkins from Fox Sports one said
it was just a boring tournament, boring game, boring finals.
Everything was terrible. And I tried to tell you, and
you were just like, wait, you don't like sports.

Speaker 2 (44:10):
If you don't, well you don't. I mean, you're you're
telling me that the final four games weren't awesome. You're
telling me that the Elite eight games weren't amazing. I mean,
come on, dude, you can hate on this because they
didn't have all your buzzer beaters whenever, really, we don't
have that many buzzer beaters in the NCAA tournament. To
be honest with you.

Speaker 4 (44:29):
Like the memory, I guess for me.

Speaker 2 (44:31):
Right, you just are like, yeah, what about bryce's true.
It was like in ninety four or something ridiculous like that.
But I just I feel like everyone's got to have
a hot take on something, and we all got act miserable.
Whether it's you or that Donnie guy or whatever.

Speaker 3 (44:44):
Andy Bark, you can't make fun and that's making.

Speaker 4 (44:47):
Fun of Golin Goward. What's wrong with you?

Speaker 2 (44:49):
No, it's not. I don't I've never seen the guy
before in my life. I didn't know who you were
talking about when you texted me. This guy said it
was terrible. I'm like, I don't know who that is.

Speaker 4 (44:57):
It's some guy on our TV network, all right, I.

Speaker 2 (45:00):
Don't know who it is. And it's just everyone's got
to have something to complain about. And if you want
to be mad about the first round and the second
round being boring, that's fine. I get it completely and
totally understand. But beyond that, we got to see the
best of the best play each other in this tournament.
It's breaking awesome down the stretch.

Speaker 3 (45:19):
But even the number one seeds played bad. Even you
just said turnover on the list.

Speaker 2 (45:24):
Case that happens in every basketball game. You don't have
games where good teams turn the ball over suddenly if
a team turns the ball over on consecutive possessions, it's
a bad game. Come on, man, you know you enjoyed
that game.

Speaker 3 (45:38):
I do like when they put up so and so
has gone two minutes of eleven seconds without a basket,
I'm like, what that's like?

Speaker 4 (45:44):
One shot?

Speaker 2 (45:45):
That's Kelvin Samson basketball. Unfortunately is what it is. But
congratulations to Florida third straight. And I now think I
have a new dumbest thing in sports. You want me
to tell you what it is. Yeah, the new dumbest
thing in sports is after the national championship in college basketball,
when they suddenly put up odds for the next season
because nobody knows who's going to be on any team

(46:09):
next year, and it's just kind of ridiculous, Like what
if what if Cooper Flag comes back, which we don't
think he's going to.

Speaker 4 (46:16):
Doesn't make a difference. Now we've already found out.

Speaker 2 (46:18):
So oh has he already said he's gone?

Speaker 3 (46:21):
No, No, it doesn't make a difference. If he comes
back to Duke, they won't win it.

Speaker 2 (46:24):
Oh you think that it's You don't think it would
make their odds incredible if he did come back.

Speaker 3 (46:29):
No, I just there was one college basketball team that
signed to McDonald's All American Top seven Players.

Speaker 2 (46:36):
Who's that? Oh?

Speaker 4 (46:38):
Did I mention Arizona?

Speaker 2 (46:41):
You know? Can you help me make sense? Because I don't.
I mean, all of a sudden, now you're in college
basketball recruiting. Congrats, But can you number three and number seven?
Can you explain to me what you're trying to do
there with Roman numeral number six number roll on here
with Arnie and Plank on sports radio. I don't know

(47:01):
if I've ever been more confused by anything in the
Roman numeral, I don't.

Speaker 4 (47:05):
I was hoping you saw Law and Order on Thursday.

Speaker 3 (47:09):
I actually taught told Bernie Sanders of Bernie Sanders, Bertie.

Speaker 2 (47:14):
You told Bernie you're trying to say Bernie Fratto, aren't you?

Speaker 3 (47:17):
Bertie Frad Yes, I told Bertie Fratto about it, and
he was on Saturday night on his show and he
did like a whole hour on it. Law and Order
had an episode on Thursday and involved the w n B. A.

Speaker 4 (47:30):
I take it you didn't see it, then, did you?

Speaker 2 (47:32):
Griz? I want to read. I want to read what
Arnie put here.

Speaker 4 (47:39):
Can let me tell you what the episode was? Can
I tell you what happened.

Speaker 2 (47:42):
Or well, I mean, do you want me to read
your summary here or do you want.

Speaker 4 (47:47):
Me tell me what happened? It was.

Speaker 3 (47:49):
It started in a w NBA game where the second
best player. They were interviewing her after the game she'd
help win the game. They're like, you're the second best
scorer behind Caitlin Clark. So they're dropping Caitlin Cark's name
and stuff like that. And she was walking in the
tunnel of Madison Square Garden. Somebody shot her dead, so,

(48:09):
which I thought was way too violent to do something
like that.

Speaker 2 (48:14):
And then they have you order before.

Speaker 3 (48:17):
Yeah, but I just felt that this episode was too violent.

Speaker 2 (48:22):
I really did. And Bernie did a full hour on
this on Saturday night.

Speaker 4 (48:27):
He did a full hour on He took phone calls on.

Speaker 2 (48:29):
It on what on whether or not it's too violent.

Speaker 3 (48:34):
No, I just like the whole w NBA and how
they they've hit mainstream because you know, they're they're a
law and order episode and just stuff like that. I
thought it was a pretty Maybe you have.

Speaker 4 (48:44):
To see the episode to kind of get the true feeling.

Speaker 2 (48:46):
Maybe.

Speaker 3 (48:47):
I wonder if any of our listeners saw that episode
on Thursday, So anyway, she gets shot, she dies, and
they make it seem like it's the one of the
other basketball players that shot her because they had a
beef going on, you know what I mean, kind of
like a Angel Reese Caitlin Clark thing.

Speaker 2 (49:05):
Here's what Roman Numeral six says. WNBA and Lawn and
Order Thursday, number one episode.

Speaker 4 (49:12):
Yeah, that's outside the box. Think a little bit outside
the box, would you come on now?

Speaker 2 (49:16):
Okay? Number one too violent? Number two shot an MSG.
Number three might not have caught the real shooter.

Speaker 3 (49:25):
Yeah, at the end, you don't even know if they
caught the real shooter. So they're kind of giving you
the impression that you can go into a Madison Square
garden and shoot a WNBA player dead and get away
with it, which I again I thought too violent because
WNBA they all don't fight private, some do fly commercial
and they're very accessible to the public, so they could

(49:48):
have they could have easily had that episode without the
girl dying. They could out of just showed.

Speaker 2 (49:53):
But she was shot n MSG. She shot in the arena, right, yes, yes, correct? Correct?
W to excel to Robbie what.

Speaker 4 (50:06):
I don't know what I wrote there?

Speaker 2 (50:07):
I can't And then Number five is could have wounded
her instead of killing her.

Speaker 3 (50:12):
Yes, you didn't have to kill her. You could have
just wounded her. You didn't because you never found out
really the shooter wore a mask, so you really didn't
have to kill her. And by the way, after half
the episode, it really took a break a turn from
the w NBA. If you were really gonna do an
episode on the WNBA, you should have had like her

(50:34):
rival shooter because saying that she was getting all the
attention or something, that's what the episode should have been
they did.

Speaker 2 (50:40):
Okay, job, Can I bring this up real quick? You
know it's just a TV show episode. It's not real life,
right Like you're sounding like my grandpa when he got
older and he would call me and he would tell
me about Raymond and how great Raymond was doing. And
I thought it was his neighbor, and come to find out,
he'd be calling me telling me about an episode. If
everybody loves no you know this is a TV show, right,

(51:03):
I know? But okay, everybody loves Law and Order.

Speaker 4 (51:05):
What's wrong with you?

Speaker 2 (51:07):
I didn't know they were still I didn't know they
were still in new episodes, man, I don't I'm not
trying to sound like sports gouty. Okay, I'm really not.

Speaker 3 (51:15):
I thought, wait a minute, I thought that was a
good outside the bike. Where's our producer? Don't we have
a producer today? Where's producer?

Speaker 2 (51:22):
Ryan? Are you there?

Speaker 4 (51:24):
Did he's sleeping?

Speaker 2 (51:25):
Was it a Law and Order SVU episode? Or was
it Law and Order?

Speaker 1 (51:28):
Like?

Speaker 2 (51:28):
Which one is it?

Speaker 4 (51:29):
It was the regular one? It was, So do we
have a producer today?

Speaker 2 (51:34):
I'm here, I'm here. What do you ask?

Speaker 3 (51:37):
Do you not think that a w NBA in a
Law and Order episode is a good out of box
topic or something.

Speaker 5 (51:43):
W NBA in a Law and Order episode?

Speaker 2 (51:46):
I can't believe Bernie got an hour out of that,
that's all.

Speaker 4 (51:49):
I wanted a whole hour out of it.

Speaker 2 (51:51):
I want to know how, as someone who does an
overnight show on Friday nights, how did you get a
full hour out of that? Well? I'm in I'm not
even mad. What's the line from I'm not even mad?
I'm impressed.

Speaker 3 (52:06):
I thought our listeners would be all over because Law
and Order is a very popular show.

Speaker 4 (52:10):
But I guess not.

Speaker 2 (52:11):
Well, I I don't know if there's many people that
watch TV shows regularly.

Speaker 4 (52:16):
Well, you do one order.

Speaker 2 (52:19):
I don't.

Speaker 4 (52:20):
I don't watch order.

Speaker 2 (52:22):
I don't have any show on broadcast TV that I watch, none,
not a one. I watch games, or I'll watch a
Netflix series or something, or an old to catch a
Smuggler or a rick.

Speaker 4 (52:36):
Well, I just watched a Catch a Smuggler last night.

Speaker 2 (52:38):
It's the greatest in Madrid.

Speaker 4 (52:42):
Yeah, catch a Smuggler Madrid style.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
I still haven't ever seen them check something and not
find anything.

Speaker 3 (52:49):
I do know they do once one episode last night,
they this guy was all cranky. I'm like, oh, you're
going to jail for life, buddy, you must. I had nothing.
He was just being a bad guy.

Speaker 2 (53:00):
So I just I want to circle back before we
grab a break. One more thing. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (53:04):
I think that the boss would have said, hey, that's
a great out of the box topic w NBA on order.

Speaker 8 (53:11):
That's okay, I have the context about it, Okay, go ahead, Okay.

Speaker 5 (53:15):
Okay, okay.

Speaker 8 (53:15):
So basically they brought up and they mentioned Caitlin Clark,
but the whole like episode, yeah, the whole premise about
it is about I guess a black I think a
black NBA or w NBA basketball player gets shot and
killed walking out of.

Speaker 4 (53:34):
The white one get shot and killed.

Speaker 8 (53:36):
The white one, right, Okay, so the white one get
shot and killed. But then they're like, oh, well, I
guess the black player had threatened that she was going
to like.

Speaker 2 (53:42):
Kill the white girl.

Speaker 8 (53:44):
Yeah, so they sprinkled and it basically the quote is
the league was built on the backs of talented black
women like yourself, and then these white girls come along, right,
and then Cameron Adler that's the girl who died and
the SV and the on or fired up.

Speaker 2 (54:01):
If someone's in on this, Yeah, finally somebody knows what
I'm talking.

Speaker 8 (54:04):
Yeah, he goes Karen Adler, that's the character Kaylin Clark
and their instant superstars.

Speaker 5 (54:09):
Everyone's saying that they put them on the map.

Speaker 3 (54:12):
Yeah, a couple of times on that they you know,
and after the half of the episode they went in
a different direction.

Speaker 4 (54:19):
Had nothing to do with the w NBA for the
most part.

Speaker 3 (54:21):
So yeah, they they did a bad job, really a
bad job of selling it.

Speaker 2 (54:27):
The villain you need it goes Yes, I saw the episode.
It's just TV calmed down. It wasn't even about the
w NBA, and it was about race. The name of
the episode was Inherent Bias.

Speaker 3 (54:41):
Oh, Meanwhile, people were talking talk about the Sopranos like
it's their neighbor from.

Speaker 2 (54:47):
Gez. Hey, you know what I like. I think it's awesome.
It's out of the box. Those some are some are
questioning whether or not Bernie actually talked about this for
an hour. He told me he did it on this Uh.

Speaker 3 (54:58):
They took calls about it, but he took mostly calls
about if you're watching the.

Speaker 4 (55:03):
W NBA, if you care this year. Okay, yeah, he
really didn't bring up the law and order part. You
left that part out. I'm should should have.

Speaker 2 (55:13):
Thank you for saving the day. Mary. All right, when
we come back, our buddy Todd Furman is going to
join us, and we'd love to get your tweets. Got
a ton of them. Still need to get to him
at Stinking Genius one. I'm at Plank Show. We'll grab
a break and make sure everyone's following us at Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 6 (55:27):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in

Speaker 2 (55:39):
All right, as we're coming to you I from the
ti rack dot com studios. We say hello, to our
buddy Todd Furman from the bet to Board podcast, you
name it, He's all over it. Todd one today for
Golf now highly beat on Masters with Rory in it later.
Kind of typical what you would.

Speaker 9 (55:57):
See, always one of the most high lead back golf
events of the entire calendar year, mainly because the master's
futures are on the board for essentially eleven months, So
you get the marquee players to the top of the board,
you get a lot of the value seekers trying to
identify long shot price tags, and I'm sure there were
plenty of sweats for those folks that gobbled up Rory
pre tournament around seven and a half to one, or

(56:18):
his odds as long as twelve to one after the
way he stumbled down the stretch in round one, And
of course on the flip side, I'm sure plenty of
disgruntled betters it thought they had a little bit more
win equity in their tickets on Justin Rose as his
price went off right around one hundred and fifteen to
one or thereabouts.

Speaker 3 (56:33):
Yeah, you know, when I was doing my picks and
I picked Rory last week, and I thought that he
was like seven to what he was like the third favorite.

Speaker 4 (56:39):
I thought the odds.

Speaker 3 (56:41):
Should have been a little bit longer considering he had
one in like twelve years.

Speaker 9 (56:45):
I mean, O Rory's always going to generate a lot
of attention and buzz. And it's easy to say in
retrospect right now, but his current form coming into the
Masters this year arguably the best it's been over the
last decade. So he commands a tremendous amount of respect
in the betting markets, and that's why he was the
second favorite on the board, behind only Scotti Scheffler and
went out there and proved betters and oddsmakers correct that

(57:06):
the way they had priced this tournament. When you look
at that star studded leaderboard and realize that other than
you know, Justin Rose is a real long shot, pat
reed kind of coming from off the pace that there
were a lot of the more familiar names that we've
grown accustomed to. You know that we're fighting contention, highlighted
by Ludwagobert, who's price drifted as far as twenty five
to one this week.

Speaker 2 (57:26):
We know four of the first round matchups in the
NBA playoffs, and now we're starting to learn the start
times we'll get to sager. We'll have those coming up
here at the bottom of this hour. But Todd, do
we still have the play in tournament tournament to find
out who's gonna play the one and two seeds from
each conference. But anything really jump out at you early
when you saw some of the matchups may maybe caught

(57:47):
your eye as some value.

Speaker 9 (57:49):
Well, I figure when we're talking about these first round series,
we'll have about a month to digest them before.

Speaker 2 (57:54):
The NBA's chaises on this opening round.

Speaker 9 (57:56):
With four or five days between games. But when you
look at some of the numbers in the Eastern Conference,
I mean the Knicks heavy favorites, as you can understand
against the upstar Pistons, the Knicks right around a one
to four favorite. Sure, I can take a game or two,
but you do wonder about their pedigree. This is a
Knicks team that, while I think they do have a ceiling,
I don't think they're going to get pushed that much
by the Pistons. Expect that one to end in six.

(58:18):
We've seen the Pacers number drift out a little bit.
They opened a little bit shorter than where they currently
sit as right around a minus two thirty thereabouts favorite
against the Bucks team, who will see if they get
any reinforcements. But it's really been honest and everybody else
needing to raise their level of play. I just don't
think the backcourt for the Bucks without a healthy Dame
Lillard gives them that much of a puncher's chance. And

(58:39):
arguably the most compelling series that we know about right now,
I mean, the Lakers a modest dollars seventy favorite against
the Timberwolves. It's going to be a question of how
the Lakers look to go about exploiting Rudy Gobert as
a defensive liability, or will the Timberwolves be able to
use some of their size and athleticism against an aging
Lakers team to take advantage. And then of course the
Denver Nuggets to go in with an interim head coach

(59:01):
about a dollar forty against the Clippers. I think the Clippers,
as long as that team is healthy, is an extremely
live underdog. So of all the four series at are
priced right now, they for me, probably offer the most
bang for your bucket right around plus a dollar twenty.

Speaker 3 (59:13):
Donter, We've missing out on some good value here because
the Boston Celtics, I hear Jalen Brown's getting a shot
in his knee. If he's not one hundred percent, who
knows what's gonna happen with them. If you don't believe
that Cleveland's going to come out of the East, you
can get some good value.

Speaker 4 (59:27):
Oh, the Knicks are Indiana. I mean there's got to
be some good value there.

Speaker 9 (59:30):
Yeah, I mean no. When you mentioned the favorites, it
is a massive drop off after you get through the
Celtics and Calves. So you're talking about Boston right now,
aren't about you know, a dollar forty favorite dollar fifty
depending on where you shop. So makes them odds on
the Cleveland Cavaliers have shade less than two to one,
and the teams that you mentioned. That's where things get
a little bit more interesting. The next right around twelve

(59:51):
to one, the pages twenty five to one. So if
you have questions about there being a vulnerable favorite or two,
you're going to be able to find a little bit
wiggle room. Further down on the board. I think the
Pacers maybe at twenty five to one if you really
want to take a shot a team that kind of
outkicked its coverage last year in the postseason and came
up short. But maybe they're a team that can rica
little havoc and cause some problems in Eastern Conference if

(01:00:13):
they want to play a shred of defense.

Speaker 2 (01:00:14):
You know, I'm sitting here thinking to myself, we'll still
be able to talk about the first round next week.
I mean, it'll will.

Speaker 1 (01:00:20):
Barely be starting, I think.

Speaker 9 (01:00:22):
I mean, when you look at the schedule, Plank, I
think both conferences, every team will have played one game
because typically with the NBA, you get four games on Saturday,
spread out throughout the course of the day, and we'll
get four games on Sunday. So there's a good chance,
and we talk next Sunday night that every series hasn't
even completed a full game, because one of these games
on the West Coast will be ongoing with most likely
a seven to seven thirty Pacific tip off.

Speaker 2 (01:00:45):
Hey, let me follow up with not necessarily an NBA question,
but shifting to college. Arnie and I haven't talked about
the Nika ioam Aliova situation yet tonight. It's wild, right,
it went from like zero to one hund and then
one hundred and one thousand in the span of forty
eight hours. Just looking at the Tennessee perspective, knowing that

(01:01:06):
it seems unlikely that they're going to get a star
and they're going to go with the two guys there,
they're going to bring in depth in the portal, You
think this hurts them much and as far as maybe
an over under win total or anything in twenty five.

Speaker 9 (01:01:17):
It should have a little bit of a negative impact
for Tennessee until they're able to stabilize that particular position. Now,
keep in mind, this was a Baals group last year
that I think everyone likes to associate Josh Heypel with
high flying offenses, but it was Tennessee's defense that gave
them an opportunity to get into the college football playoffs
before they came up just short against Ohio State. And
you know, maybe when Nico was looking to negotiate a

(01:01:39):
little bit of a raise in December, when things started
with the Tennessee, with the Tennessee boosters and whatnot, you
begin to wonder that Nico probably overplayed his hand given
the last data point he left us was a less
than impressive performance in Columbus in those freezing cold temperatures.
But this is the world of college sports we live
in now, and while Nico maybe the first high profiles

(01:02:00):
to see his contract dispute play out in public right
around spring practice. He will be far from the last.
And I think the bigger question is which school now
ponies up the cash to bring in Nico as their
starting quarterback for a guy that quite frankly underwhelmed for
extended stretches when he had a step up in class.
But you know, all too well, right in your backyard,
playing in the program, your closest to what it cost
Oklahoma to bring in Josh Mattier hoping that he could

(01:02:23):
be the guy. And you always have questions about how
a player can step up from a program like Washington State.
But if Matier can make the transition anything like cam Ward,
I'm sure sooner fans will be much happier with him
under center than the kind of quarterback play they had
to endure for Michael Hawkins and Jackson Arnold. This pass fall.

Speaker 4 (01:02:39):
Todd on the draft.

Speaker 3 (01:02:42):
You know, Chris was told me that maybe Jackson Dart
could have find his way into the top ten, a
top ten pick. The easiest bet ever, is what the
over two and a half quarterbacks take it in the
first round? Is that still the number how could you
not take that by now heavily.

Speaker 9 (01:02:58):
Juice but two and a half and you have to
lay it right around four dollars to try and do that.
But to your point, Arnie cam word becomes the proverbial
bingo free space. We know he's going to go number
one to the Titans, barring some major shift that nobody
saw coming. And then if you think that Shador Sanders
and Jackson Darda are mere formalities, those guys will get
you across the finish line. But we saw a couple

(01:03:19):
of years ago with quarterbacks that didn't have first round
draft grades, when Kenny Pickett was the only quarterback taken
in the first round. I don't think Darden Sanders will fall,
but there is always that possibility. And we'll see what
the New Orleans Saints are able to do. If Derek
Carr is gonna undergo surgery that could put him on
the shelf when they go after Aaron Rodgers. Fascinating to
see because in normal years, I'm not sure dart or

(01:03:40):
shit Shadoor Sanders get first round grades, especially from a
lot of the draft heads that are out there, And
it's part of the reason that we're now seeing a
price for Shador Sanders to be a top five pick
drift out to plus two thirty and if you believe
he'll be picked inside of the top ten, a price
tag right around two to one that coincides with a
similar number for the Saints to draft the quarterback with
their first pick coming in a number one.

Speaker 2 (01:04:00):
And yet here we are, todd and where ten days
and nineteen hours away from the draft and Aaron Rodgers
still doesn't have a team. I mean, is this just inevitable?
Has there been a handshake agreement that we don't know
about with the Steelers or is there a chance he
might not play this year?

Speaker 9 (01:04:18):
I mean, look, I don't know if there's a handshake
agreement in place. I'm sure the Steelers would like to
get their quarterback situation results sooner rather than later before
they have to break camp with Mason Rudolph not having
any noticeable competition.

Speaker 2 (01:04:31):
On the roster.

Speaker 9 (01:04:32):
But the one thing that we've grown accustomed to from
Aaron Rodgers, love him or hate him, he does not
shy away from trying to be the center of attention.
And maybe this is the way that, in the twilight
of his career, Rogers can create a little bit of
a bidding war and make sure that he can command
the headlines. But I can tell you that I'm sure
a lot of these organizations that are considering bringing Rodgers,
whether it is the Steelers or someone else, would like
to have this situation sorted out before they go to

(01:04:55):
OTA's and know exactly what they're looking at.

Speaker 4 (01:04:56):
Here, Dodd, Are people at you betting are betting the draft?

Speaker 3 (01:05:01):
Or is that just for the pros that like to
bet the draft, that it's not really the regular people
out there?

Speaker 9 (01:05:06):
No, in my opinion, Already it's become a lot more
of a pursuit for recreational betters than it has for pros,
getting tougher and tougher for professionals to move substantial amounts
of money in these markets. And I have to give
oddsmakers credit as well. These markets. During COVID, when the
draft market really exploded, was one of the more inefficient
betting vehicles that we had seen, and you had professional

(01:05:26):
betters that will make the claim that it was the
most profitable sporting event that they had on their calendar year.
Now it's getting to be much more difficult. Teams are
a little bit tighter to the vest and anyone who
follows the betting odds, you'd be amazed anytime there's a
new mock draft how much and aggressively odds makers are
moving these numbers, especially for some of the draft experts

(01:05:46):
that are out there that are closer to an organization
or two. So it is really a fascinating exercise in
human psychology. And if you stay true to your principles
or happen to have perfect information, there's no doubt there's
money to be made. It's just tougher to move substantial
sums Man.

Speaker 2 (01:06:01):
Todd Ferman, have a great week, buddy. We appreciate your time.

Speaker 9 (01:06:04):
Should be a fun one, always a pleasure.

Speaker 2 (01:06:06):
Jen There he is Todd Freman at Todd Furman on Twitter.
Make sure you listen to his podcast, the bet to
Board Podcast. It's fantastic, all right. Steve de Sager is
in the tirack dot com studio with what's trending? What's
going on?

Speaker 7 (01:06:18):
Steve, Well, your referenced it. There's a report on the
games start time for Game one of the Lakers Minnesota
series that it will be in the Saturday night Network
TV slot. There are playing games before then. Tuesday night
late game is the Warriors hosting the Grizzlies. Golden State
is in that because they had an overtime home loss
against the Clippers today and that drops the Warriors to

(01:06:38):
seventh in the West. They'll be hosting Memphis late Tuesday,
that Clippers team they lost to today. I got thirty
nine points from James Harden thirty three from Kawhi Leonard.
The Clippers have won eight in a row. They'll have
a first round series against Denver, which clinched the four
seed with a win a pretty easy one at Houston today.
Minnesota got forty three points from Anthony Edwards beat Utah.

(01:07:00):
Minnesota will go up against the Lakers as mentioned starting
this weekend. But as far as the play in on
Wednesday night, that's an ESPN double header. But that's the
nine versus ten matchups in each conference. Let's just say
maybe hold off on the DVR setting for that for
Wednesday because we've got Heat at Bulls and then Mavericks

(01:07:22):
at Kings in the East. The Chicago Bulls record as
of a few days ago was thirty six and forty three.

Speaker 4 (01:07:30):
Oh yeah, there you go.

Speaker 7 (01:07:31):
Miami finished thirty seven and forty five. That's your matchup Wednesday,
seven thirty Eastern and the late game nine to ten
matchup in the West to sub five hundred team Sacramento
forty and forty two hosting Dallas thirty nine and forty three.
The Wednesday losers are quickly out of the Can I

(01:07:51):
even call it the postseason? They call the play in
is not actually a playoff game. It doesn't count on
your playoff stats, So I don't know. They're in the
nether world and they're going to be advancing.

Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
How about that?

Speaker 4 (01:08:02):
Did you play these games in Dayton?

Speaker 2 (01:08:06):
Absolutely? Yes, that's pretty good.

Speaker 7 (01:08:10):
So the play in tournament starts Tuesday with a couple
Wednesday night, Yeah, there's a couple, and then Friday's your
last chance. The Friday winners are in the eighth seed
for the postseason. There was an NHL late game. It's
a final, so everything's done. Colorado came back to win
at Anaheim four to two. Earlier Edmonton and Tampa Bay
with victories. The NHL regular season ends on Thursday. Kyle

(01:08:33):
Larson was the NASCAR winner at Bristol, Tennessee. He led
over four hundred of the five hundred laps at the
short track. He dominated Saturday's Infinity race also, and on
Friday he finished second in the Trucks race. Nice Weekend.
Denny Hamlin today finished second. He'd won the previous two
races in NASCAR's Cup Series. At the Long Beach Grand Prix.
It's been going for fifty years now in the LA area.

(01:08:55):
Kyle Kirkwood the winner on the Streets of Long Beach.
All seventeen IndyCar races this shar year on Fox that
includes the Indy five hundred and Late May. The season
ends in late August. The Masters finished up today and
in a playoff, Rory McElroy beats Justin Rose. McElroy completes
the career Grand Slam. It's his first major win since

(01:09:15):
twenty fourteen. He's now one of the six men McElroy
with the career Grand Slam, first since Tiger Woods in
two thousand, Jack Nicholas, Ben Hogan and others on that list.
Rose in twenty seventeen lost a playoff to Sergio Garcia
lost in a playoff today at the Masters. Tonight at
Dodger Stadium, the Cubs beat LA again four to two.

(01:09:36):
Cubs pitcher Justin Steele will have season ending elbow surgery.
The Padres shut out Colorado six nothing. The Padres are
ten and oh at home winning pitcher Michael King is
three and oh through a complete game, two hitter, one
hundred and ten pitches the loss to oh and three
Kyle Freeland. The Colorado Rockies are three and twelve. They

(01:09:56):
are already nine and a half games out in the
Division Mathematical Women, we are not quite to mid April
victories for the Mets in Arizona, Seattle won its fourth
in a row. And the sad story from football that
former LSU receiver Kirin Lacy is dead found dead in
Houston last night and died in an apparent suicide in
his car while being pursued by authorities, who said police

(01:10:19):
had responded to a call from a female family member
who said Lacey had discharged a firearm into the ground
during a verbal agreement late Saturday. When they arrived, the
suspect had fled in a vehicle. In a social media
post today, Lacey's father urged parents to check in on
their children's mental health at an early age. Of course,

(01:10:40):
this is a player who had been facing criminal charges
stemming from a fatal car accident in December. In Louisiana.
Lacey had declared for the NFL Draft a couple days
after that crash in December. Did not play in the
Bowl game for LSU, did participate at the LSU Pro
Day in March. Lacey played three seasons with the LSU Tigers.
This past year fifty eight catches, a team leading nine touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (01:11:02):
Back to you, Yeah, terrible story that was developing throughout
the day, and I mean just awful, just just awful
to hear that. Always check on your peeps, I think
is what we always say. His lawyer sent out a
scathing email. And I had a chance to see him
play in person against Oklahoma, and I remember coming away

(01:11:28):
from that game thinking that's it's kind of a dude.
He had a touchdown in the game, had three catches
I think almost at fifty yards. So just a sad story,
Just a sad story. It's a Ardy and Plant company
alive from the ti iraq dot com studios.

Speaker 3 (01:11:43):
Now we got I was gonna say, by the way,
the Sacred and the update did the Long Beach Grand
Prix update, I was supposed to drive in that one year.

Speaker 2 (01:11:53):
I think what you were supposed to drive in that
one year.

Speaker 4 (01:11:59):
Racing racing that race, you think, Yes.

Speaker 2 (01:12:04):
I mean, isn't that kind of an Either you were
or you weren't.

Speaker 3 (01:12:06):
Yeah, I think I was supposed to do it. I
don't know why I didn't do it. I backed out
at the last minute.

Speaker 2 (01:12:11):
Why would you have a chance. Now, I don't think
you're racing actually in the Grand Prix.

Speaker 4 (01:12:15):
No, you're racing in the Celebrity Grand Prix.

Speaker 2 (01:12:18):
Right, Why would you back out? I don't know. I
forgot what.

Speaker 4 (01:12:21):
I had something going on, so I couldn't make it.

Speaker 2 (01:12:23):
But it was.

Speaker 4 (01:12:24):
They do it every year.

Speaker 3 (01:12:25):
I don't know if they do the Celebrity Grand Prix anymore,
but that thing is as fun as hell.

Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
Man.

Speaker 4 (01:12:31):
People are crashing their cards and stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:12:33):
It's crazy. I like Arnie's stories of things he almost did.
It's like, hey, I was supposed to do that. Why wasn't.
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:12:39):
If i'dn't remember why I didn't do it. I can't remember.

Speaker 2 (01:12:42):
Oh, man, Well, you can call them the chaos with

Do you remember?

Speaker 5 (01:13:27):
He almost got to do the read?

Speaker 4 (01:13:29):
Actually knows what I'm talking about. There's a celebrity gram.
I know what you're talking I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:13:34):
I don't know if they still do. No, they don't.

Speaker 7 (01:13:35):
They had it for forty years and lost their sponsor.
But I remember Jay Leno was in it one year,
Alfonso Reir one at one year, Adam Corolla, et cetera.

Speaker 4 (01:13:44):
I should have done it. Those are some big names.

Speaker 2 (01:13:45):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (01:13:46):
Why did do Frankie Mooney has won it and became
a driver later.

Speaker 4 (01:13:48):
That's right, right, serious?

Speaker 2 (01:13:51):
Right?

Speaker 4 (01:13:51):
I used to be a big deal in La Chris,
I don't know if you know that.

Speaker 2 (01:13:54):
I'm learning more every single day. All Right, we gotta
get a break to Sager's tidbits, notes and nuggets coming
up next right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (01:14:02):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:14:05):
All right, It'sary and Plank. We're coming to you live
from the tire Rack dot Com studios. And this, my friends,
is Steve de Seger. What's going on, Steve?

Speaker 7 (01:14:14):
What do you found a list of the past winners
of the Long Beef You know how you can go
down hall?

Speaker 4 (01:14:19):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:14:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:14:21):
It turns out some of the early winners of that
celebrity race at the Long Beach Grand Prix were Gene Hackman,
Bruce Jenner twice, Ted Nugent, Robert Hayes from Airplane, Jason
Bateman in nineteen eighty seven, Rick Schroeder, Donny Osmond was
the nineteen ninety.

Speaker 4 (01:14:38):
One people were racing in this stuff.

Speaker 7 (01:14:41):
I remember Fred Rogan was in it. Didn't win it,
but I remember Fred was in its longtime Channel four anchor,
former news anchor Paul Moyer was once a winner. Yeah. Well,
in NHL history, we have a first because the four
original hockey teams in this country are all missing the
playoffs the same year. No Blackhawks, no Bruins, no Red

(01:15:02):
Wings in the postseason this year. That's a lot of
titles in history and not one is getting in. The
Red Wings lost last year in a tiebreaker for the
last playoff spot in the East. This year, they were
eliminated yesterday from postseason contention. The NHL regular season will
end this Thursday. By the way, Chicago's a last place

(01:15:23):
team in its division for a third straight year. The
Rangers were the best team in the regular season last
year made the East Final. Of course, the last decade,
whoever finishes with the best record regular season is usually
out by the second round of the Stanley Cup playoff.

Speaker 3 (01:15:38):
I don't like the way they do the playoff, how
they figure out the playoffs.

Speaker 7 (01:15:41):
Yeah, I agree, it could be. I always hated that
it was. You know, you play your division foes over
and over all season, and then you have division playoffs
and you're playing the same teams all over. Sorry, what
if we just do the last five months?

Speaker 2 (01:15:55):
What is it?

Speaker 4 (01:15:55):
The top three in each division and two wild cards?

Speaker 2 (01:15:58):
Is that what it is? Yeah?

Speaker 7 (01:16:00):
At least they're giving division champions something. You know, this
could turn into an NFL discussion, but I think they
are going to have that discussion in the NFL. By
the way, if I were a commissioner, you couldn't be
sub five hundred and host a playoff game. But that's
been true for many years. But we'll move on anyway.
It congrats to Winnipeg who clinched at President's Trophy top record,
but as an asterisk again usually doesn't get you anywhere

(01:16:22):
in the postseason, and Boston's going nowhere. They'll finish with
the fewest points in the entire Eastern Conference, missing the
playoffs for the first time in over a decade. What
a game to finish the NBA regular season, though, with
the Clippers winning again the overtime victory at Golden State.
You know, the Clippers record in the last month and
a half is eighteen and three.

Speaker 2 (01:16:41):
They're on fire.

Speaker 7 (01:16:42):
They had a three pointer at the halftime buzzer today.
Boy did that turnout to be key because they won
in overtime. They've now beaten Golden State head to head
seven straight times. And we had James Harden score thirty
nine points, Kawhi Leonard thirty three in the loss for
the Warrior Steph Curry thirty six points, Jimmy Butler with thirty.

(01:17:02):
In other words, it's the first time in league history
that on the last day of the regular season you
had four players score at least thirty points in the
same game. Warriors will have to have a playing game
against Memphis late Tuesday. The winner goes to Houston when
the actual playoffs begin next weekend. A note about Victor

(01:17:23):
Wembenyama's season. Now that the stack category winners have been decided,
no more regular season games. Weben Yama finished first in
the number of block shots this season. He's the first
player in NBA history to lead the league in one
of the five major stack categories despite playing in under
seventy five percent of his team's games. In fact, it

(01:17:44):
was about half the games that he missed, and he
still had the most total blocks in the NBA this season.

Speaker 2 (01:17:51):
I looked it up.

Speaker 7 (01:17:51):
Brook Lopez played almost every game for Milwaukee and was
number two in blocks. It was under one fifty for
the season. Wembenyama over one hundred. It's seventy five block
shots and again he only played forty six games the
whole seasonable. Yes, as for the playoff bracket. One seed
Oklahoma City is awaiting to see who wins Friday that

(01:18:13):
will travel to Oka. See we mentioned two seed Houston
is awaiting. Maybe Golden State, we shall see. The Lakers
Minnesota series could have a game one on Saturday night reportedly,
and it's Denver against the Clippers in the first round.
We already knew in the East all the seeds were
locked in heading into this final day. Cleveland's number one.
It'll get a play and winner from Friday. Two seed

(01:18:35):
Boston will get a play and winner this week, and
we do know it's Nicks versus Detroit best of seven,
Indiana against Milwaukee. As for the Major League Baseball, the
Cubs have a lefty pitcher that's out for the year,
Justin Steele will have season ending elbow surgery. But nice
weekend for the Cubs at Dodger Stadium.

Speaker 4 (01:18:53):
What's going on with my Dodgers? What's happening here?

Speaker 2 (01:18:56):
Man?

Speaker 6 (01:18:57):
My?

Speaker 7 (01:18:57):
That's the problem in that says, yeah, we're seven and
zero at home, and then Saturday lost sixteen to nothing
to the Cubs. Once it started to get out of hand,
they just weren't going to replace the relief pitcher and
burn arms. So I can imagine it's the type of
glare a manager would give it the guy on the
mound as he's giving up yet another hit and then

(01:19:17):
you're not going anywhere. You better get some money out eventually.
Last night, back up infielder Miguel Rojas through the eighth
and ninth innings, most of his pitches were at under
fifty miles per hour. One was at thirty six miles
per hour last night from.

Speaker 3 (01:19:35):
A backup third basement that could throw bullets down the middle.

Speaker 7 (01:19:39):
That absolutely there. Key ca Hernandez has pitch. In fact,
I think he is still the last position playered to
give up a game winning homer because back then it
was like a fifteenth inning of a game and they
had literally run out of pitchers. We just don't get
fifteen innings much anymore. As far as the Masters, this week,
they announced a record purse and a record total to

(01:20:00):
the winner. It's a check for four point two million
dollars to Rory McElroy today. Finally another PGA event that
gives more money than your run of the mill live
golf event gives for a weekend of play. But this
check that's up six hundred thousand from what the Masters
winner got last year, Scottie Scheffler. Everybody who finished in
the top four today gets at least one million dollars day.

Speaker 2 (01:20:24):
Not a bad payday and you get to play golf.
All right, Thanks Steve. Great stuff. When we come back
to the tire rack dot Com studio, straight to your tweets,
they've been fantastic and we got more on the NFL draft.
A couple of other things to hit any Roman numeral rundown,
including fake outrage whenever it comes to Lebron James or
legit we're talking about no shirt next on Fox.

Speaker 1 (01:20:48):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:20:51):
Yes, indeed, we are coming to you alive in the
power hour from the tire rack dot Com studios. Tire
rack dot Com will help you get there an unmatched selection,
fast free shipping, free road hazard protection and over ten
thousand recommended installers. Tire rack dot com The way tire
buying should be real quick. Before we rifle through all

(01:21:12):
of the tweets that have been rolling in all night long. Yeah,
let's talk Roman numeral nine here. I know we shouldn't
be surprised by the Nico IMALIAV Iamaliava situation because there
were never any rules for nil hold on, let me
rephrase that. There were two rules whenever you could pay

(01:21:35):
student athletes for their name, image, and likeness. Number one,
it wasn't supposed to be used as enticement, and it
absolutely has been. And number two, there was a schedule rule.
They can't do things around when they have class or
when they have practice, and that was it. That was it.
Those are the only rules, And so you knew something
like this was going to be inevitable, especially whenever the

(01:21:57):
transfer portal got as crazy as it did. I just
can't fathom going through all of spring practice, being in
a situation that it appears you love and they love you,
and the deciding the day before the spring game, the
last practice, Arnie, that you're out. I just I don't

(01:22:17):
get it. And when I say out that you're just
not going to go to practice, and then Tennessee says, man,
we're not playing this game. We've been messing around with
you for too long. We're moving on. I just I'm
blown away by this. This makes no sense to me.

Speaker 3 (01:22:30):
With what went wrong, he could have continued to be
with the team and his agent, you.

Speaker 2 (01:22:36):
Know, or no, no, no, no, hold on, make sure you
get this right.

Speaker 3 (01:22:39):
His dad, his dad, Okay, could have still you know,
called around the CV, could have gotten more money.

Speaker 2 (01:22:45):
And now see, that's illegal. You're not supposed to do that.
You're only supposed to contact other teams if you're in
the portal. It's tampering. And I know everyone does it,
but it's illegal. You're not supposed to do it. If
he yeah, if he was to talk to other schools
about what he can possibly make, then he has to
go the portal. The only way you're supposed to be

(01:23:07):
able to do that is to go in the portal.

Speaker 3 (01:23:09):
Right, I And he was doing it for an extra
million and a half, right, he wanted to get about.

Speaker 2 (01:23:15):
I already wanted to get four.

Speaker 4 (01:23:17):
And he was making two and a half. Now is
that what it was?

Speaker 2 (01:23:19):
Two to two and a half. We don't know for certain. Wow.

Speaker 3 (01:23:23):
You know, I know a lot of people have been
coming down hard on him, and I'm curious to see
how it's going to play out for him. To be
honest with you, it might not be that good, but
it seems like the whole thing. I can't fault them
for trying to get more money. He just went about
it the wrong way. Chris, that's the problem there. But again,
everybody else wants there's Jeryboddy. That's what Nil's about. So

(01:23:46):
I don't think I'm as mad as a lot of
the other people around, especially Tennessee fans.

Speaker 2 (01:23:52):
Well, I bet you would be if it was the
Arizona quarterback that you fought to make sure that he
stayed eligible because the NCAAA was coming after him, so
you fought for him and with the Attorney general, and
that you gave him the richest deal that had ever
been given to a player coming out of high school
and still might be the standard bear for college football quarterbacks.

(01:24:15):
I think he still made more than any quarterback in
college football.

Speaker 4 (01:24:19):
Are I don't know about that.

Speaker 3 (01:24:20):
Arizona I know about it, Okay, Arizona's quarterback could have
gotten a lot more money just about anywhere he could
have gone anywhere.

Speaker 4 (01:24:28):
So it's a little bit of a different situation.

Speaker 2 (01:24:31):
Then, wait, where does that have to do with anything?

Speaker 3 (01:24:34):
Nobody just said? Would I be mad if he ended
up leaving? I don't think I'd be so mad.

Speaker 2 (01:24:38):
But no, no, no, if you got to think about
everything involved with Niko, you're just you're laying this out like, oh,
you know, he go try to get all the money.
I don't blame it for that. This was the number
one recruit, well one of the top three, top four
recruits in the country, a five star quarterback that committed
to Tennessee and had been committed for a year that
they'd been recruiting probably since he was in like seventh grade, right,

(01:25:02):
and he decided to come to Tennessee from Los Angeles,
from the California, From California, I should say, and you
give him an incredibly rich contract as opposed to everyone
else in college football, and you have his dad and
his representation that go public on Thursday basically calling all

(01:25:23):
the reports bs saying that hey, you know what, this
guy's making this stuff up. We're not asking for anything.
And then you don't go to practice the next day.
I mean, come on, dude, don't pretend like you wouldn't
be hot as hell if that happened to your quarterback.
Knowing with all everything that came in front of that.

Speaker 3 (01:25:40):
Right, no, I understand that would have would have been
more palatable if he would have just put himself in
the portal and see how much money could you could
have gotten and shopped himself.

Speaker 2 (01:25:49):
Portal doesn't open until Wednesday, so you.

Speaker 4 (01:25:52):
Don't have to wait till then to go ahead and see.

Speaker 2 (01:25:54):
Well, he's gonna have to wait till then period to
officially do now. Listen, I'm no dummy. We know that
nobody cares about the rules right now because nobody's enforcing it.
But I don't know, do you? So you don't have
you don't think this is that big of a deal.

Speaker 4 (01:26:09):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:26:10):
I don't because I just just look at it as
another player trying to get the money that he wants.
It's been so long for college players to get that,
and we see it all the time where people are
in the portal because they're gonna get more money.

Speaker 2 (01:26:23):
And you know we lost.

Speaker 3 (01:26:25):
You said, well, would I be mad if Arizona lost
the player we lost their center in basketball because North
Carolina was gonna give more money.

Speaker 2 (01:26:33):
Oh, no, big deal, Just go get your money. That's
the way you're looking at this right.

Speaker 4 (01:26:37):
So that's what the players want. They're gonna go get
their money.

Speaker 3 (01:26:41):
To me, if I was a player basketball or football,
it's not all about money because you're still gonna get
a lot. But how am I gonna get to the
next level. Do I want the money now or can
I get a little bit less but still know I
can get to the next level. So you gotta gotta
weigh things out in that way too.

Speaker 2 (01:27:00):
I think it's an incredible misjudgment by Nico. What if
he doesn't get you say, go get more money. You
think he's gonna get more than two million to go
play somewhere.

Speaker 3 (01:27:10):
Obviously his father does, that's for sure, but do you
I'm surprised when you told me he got the most
money for a quarterback out of anybody.

Speaker 2 (01:27:18):
That kind of shocked me. Why what do you think
is being thrown around in college football right now?

Speaker 4 (01:27:22):
I thought it was gonna be like four mill or something.

Speaker 2 (01:27:25):
Now that's basketball, and only if you're going to Texas
Tech that's where that money is. Dude, We're going into
a world. And listen, I did this segment on Friday
night and it was a dud. I got one phone
call on it. No one gave an s arnie. But
I'll just say that I think people are tired of it,
right and this is one of those moments where you
have something that's never happened in this sport. We've never

(01:27:47):
had a holdout. We've had guys transfer, but we've never
had someone just not go to a practice and no
show a game, which this is a spring game. And
then you have the rumors that he was wanting to
enter the portal and maybe miss the playoff game. I mean,
Josh Pate reported that tonight that he was ready to
miss a playoff game. Now, what if that happened? Would

(01:28:08):
that have caught your attention? Would you still say, hey,
I go get your money?

Speaker 3 (01:28:12):
That would have caught my attention. I would have said, whoa, wha,
let's pump the brakes here. What are we doing now?
You're you know, bypassing a big stage, a playoff game.

Speaker 4 (01:28:22):
I would have had a problem with something like that
for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:28:24):
Yeah, I just we don't know what's real in Nile.
And there is a looming salary cap, there is a
looming injunction the house settlement, and that's gonna put you
at you know, a number that's got to be split
amongst other sports. Highest percentage is still gonna go to football.
And yes, Innil is still gonna be a thing, but
it's allegedly gonna be authentic Anile, and there's gonna be

(01:28:46):
an anile clearinghouse. So these pay for play deals are
supposed to go away, But I don't know, Arnie. It
just seems as if everyone's trying to get as much
money as they possibly can before that's implemented here in
a couple of months.

Speaker 3 (01:28:57):
And are we gonna punish every school that breaks those rules?

Speaker 2 (01:29:02):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (01:29:02):
I find that hard.

Speaker 2 (01:29:03):
The boy why sure?

Speaker 4 (01:29:05):
It just doesn't seem like we'd be able to figure
it out in time.

Speaker 2 (01:29:08):
That's what the whole goal is, is to have a
system in place where you can figure it out. We
sure didn't have a problem penalizing people before this. Now
if you can get for instance, do you know what
you know where Nico can't transfer to and be immediately
eligible another SEC school. You know why? Because it's an
SEC rule.

Speaker 3 (01:29:30):
I've heard that before, but I didn't know that was
still going on after the expansion.

Speaker 2 (01:29:35):
Yep, absolutely, And you know why no one challenges it
because it's a rule that they all want. And as
long as everybody and I don't think they're going to
get congressional oversight, I don't think anyone's coming to save them.
We got to come to a point where people realize
just how detrimental. This is to the long term health

(01:29:56):
of college football. Do none of this is sustainable? Tell me, Oody,
Campbell's just going to keep trying to buy players for
Texas Tech with with no return on investment, just until
he runs out of money. I mean, look at the.

Speaker 3 (01:30:07):
Look at the portal right now, I mean it's just insane.
The kids rush to get their names into the portal.

Speaker 2 (01:30:13):
Well, and some of it's not their choice too. There's
some people in our process. Let's not forget about that,
right exactly right, all right, well, let's get some of
your tweets in here. If you want to jump in
on that, hit us up at Stinking Genius one. I'm
at a plank show. Everyone go follow us at Fox
Sports Radio. Roger the engineer rights. You don't mean the illegal plank.
You mean it's against the rules, and that means nothing.
Let's face it. We will see a player stay after

(01:30:35):
four years because the money is better. Well, they're you know,
we used to have guys fighting the courts to try
to turn pro.

Speaker 3 (01:30:43):
Faster exactly not anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:30:46):
Are fighting to stay in school.

Speaker 4 (01:30:47):
And there's somebody coming up on their seventh year next year.

Speaker 2 (01:30:50):
They're everywhere what do you mean somebody? I mean they're everywhere.
There is Tyler. Okay, Tyler Shuck. You're familiar with him.
Tyler Schuck is a quarterback that's in the NFL draft
this year. Okay, he is. He plays. He's projected to
be maybe a second round, third round pick. He just
finished his collegiate career last year. His first season in

(01:31:14):
college was twenty eighteen. He played seven years of college
football for three different schools. He's going into the draft
and when the season starts on he he's going to
be twenty.

Speaker 1 (01:31:26):
Six years old. Like, you know, what do we even?

Speaker 2 (01:31:30):
Isn't there a point where it's like, okay, man, yeah,
you're done with college. He's time to go out.

Speaker 4 (01:31:34):
And where did he play before Louisville?

Speaker 2 (01:31:36):
Do you not remember he was the Oregon quarterback before Bonnicks?

Speaker 4 (01:31:41):
Oh geez, No, I didn't remember that. No, I know,
I didn't.

Speaker 2 (01:31:46):
Shock though, Shuck was the Oregon quarterback before Bonnicks. He
was battling with Anthony Brown to be the starting quarterback,
and then he transferred to Texas Tech, where he played.
He played three years at Oregon, and he played three
years at Texas Tech before finishing up at Louisville. Wow,

(01:32:06):
when I hear these draft people talk about Tyler Shuck,
it makes me think Louisville and Texas Tech in Oregon
needed a quarterback like Tyler Shuck. But yeah, there's I mean,
come on, man, this is just this is our new normal.
This this is our new normal. I'm sure there's probably
someone that's been in school for eight years before you
know it. Matthew writes, Arnie. Almost being in the Celebrity

(01:32:28):
Grand Prix is like me almost going to the Dolphins
Super Bowl played last year and the Arizona Wildcats National Championship. Wow.

Speaker 4 (01:32:37):
No, I really was going to drive in that. I
don't know why I couldn't make it that day.

Speaker 3 (01:32:41):
You had to take you know what, you had to
do so much stuff and take a class and you
had to you know, go around with somebody in the car.
First of all, they just didn't let you take the
car and like, well play bumper cards.

Speaker 2 (01:32:52):
Yeah, you expected them to just let you go drive
it without a practice. Lie.

Speaker 3 (01:32:56):
I thought they'd show up like a half hour early,
and they tell you is the gas is the break?

Speaker 4 (01:33:01):
You know, keep it this way and go have some fun.

Speaker 8 (01:33:04):
Don't cars go up to like two hundred miles per hour.

Speaker 2 (01:33:06):
No, No, I think Arney's full of crap right now,
to be honest.

Speaker 4 (01:33:09):
With you, No, the Seger backed me up on No.

Speaker 2 (01:33:12):
I'm not saying it didn't happen. I'm just saying I
don't know that you had an invite.

Speaker 4 (01:33:16):
Oh I did. I was a big shot in LA
a long time ago.

Speaker 2 (01:33:19):
You see a doger. Frank Arnie had a back out
of driving in the Long Beach Grand Prix because he
was too busy driving Laker fans crazy by yelling, Oh,
Laker fans three times an hour.

Speaker 3 (01:33:28):
That is true too. That was my catch phrase when
I was in LA. Laker fans hated my guts. Oh
my goodness.

Speaker 2 (01:33:34):
How long did you last in La if the Laker
fans hated your guts during that era?

Speaker 4 (01:33:38):
Oh like three four years? Some three years.

Speaker 2 (01:33:42):
It's not bad. Yeah, And radio radio was like dog
ears so times that by sex I.

Speaker 4 (01:33:46):
Did, I did?

Speaker 2 (01:33:47):
It was?

Speaker 4 (01:33:47):
It was absolutely right maybe time. I'll never forget it.

Speaker 3 (01:33:51):
The Lakers had won the championship and they were riding
outside and I was down in Staples and I had
to get next door to do the show, and I
heard someone yell, there's Lardy Spaniard and I looked over
at the police officer and he looked at me and
he goes, you go out there, you're on your own arm.

Speaker 4 (01:34:12):
And I'm like, oh damn, I'm on my own. I
had to go out there, though, I had to go
get next door.

Speaker 2 (01:34:18):
So you gotta go. You gotta go see your people too, right, I.

Speaker 3 (01:34:20):
Had to go see my peeps. They weren't my peeps.
Tell me it just to be on that.

Speaker 2 (01:34:24):
Victor Wright, Arnie, can the Rockets go beyond the second round?
Or will we suck like the Houston Cougars. Victor, by
the way, is very intent in only asking you about
his Houston team. So what do you think?

Speaker 4 (01:34:37):
Oh woy, he doesn't like to get your opinion on
his phow.

Speaker 1 (01:34:40):
I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (01:34:40):
It's just very specific to you, and I'm fine with that.
I'll sit this out.

Speaker 3 (01:34:46):
We'll see you they will. They'll play one of the
playing teams U kind of you know, don't. They come
in a lot under the raider. But when you're thinking
of teams, you're thinking of like Oklahoma City, you're thinking
of Cleveland.

Speaker 4 (01:34:57):
Even in the West, you're thinking of the Lakers.

Speaker 3 (01:34:59):
Before you're thinking about the Rockets, you know, uh huh, so,
I mean, yeah, it's possible. But if I'm gonna take
a team, it's gonna be Oklahoma City first, then the
Lakers than the Rocket, maybe the Nuggets over the Rockets
when it's done.

Speaker 2 (01:35:12):
I only have one concern about the Thunder one and
that is did they spend too much during the regular season?
That's it. I think they're incredible. I think they're fantastic.
I don't think anyone in the West can beat them
in a seven game series if it's completely healthy Thunder
and completely healthy opposition. But I just I don't know.

(01:35:32):
I don't know how because they were so dominant, Arnie,
they never wanted to just sit guys for a while.

Speaker 4 (01:35:38):
So that I read a bit, I'd watch more Oklahoma
City Thunder.

Speaker 3 (01:35:42):
If you had Harden, Kevin Durant and Westbrook, I would
watch the games.

Speaker 2 (01:35:47):
Then there you go, Yeah, well, I think we're okay
without them, But.

Speaker 4 (01:35:50):
Wow, you weren't so happy when they were leaving. You
were grying.

Speaker 2 (01:35:54):
Well, yeah, we had to go through a tank to rebuild,
and thankfully the Clippers were dumb enough to give them
shape Gildess Alexander Paul George.

Speaker 4 (01:36:02):
Trade crying the big time, big old crocodile.

Speaker 3 (01:36:05):
Theres from Chris Blank about what when your team was
getting decimated, it was just getting.

Speaker 2 (01:36:11):
Of course who wouldn't So why why does that affect
what they are today? Except for that they've got a
really good GM and they're a really good team. And
just because you haven't taken the time to put any
attention towards them doesn't mean they're any less viable of
a championship tender or or a TV product. Either. That's
a you problem, Arnie Span, You're you're elitist. That's a

(01:36:35):
take of elitism, is what it is. You just want
your teams. You know, you don't want to put in
any hard work. You don't want to about Beth's cookin
and make your sandwich.

Speaker 3 (01:36:44):
You don't bat Adam Silver wants to see the Nicks
and the Lakers, or the Celtics and the Lakers in
the NBA Finals. If it's a Cleveland, if it's Cleveland,
Oklahoma City, he might not.

Speaker 2 (01:36:53):
It's not gonna get great ratings, but.

Speaker 4 (01:36:54):
You might not go. He might just say, I'm too busy.

Speaker 2 (01:36:56):
They already have the NBA TV ratings. Look so far
this year.

Speaker 4 (01:37:02):
They're okay.

Speaker 2 (01:37:02):
I don't think there's no they're terrible. What's their TV
deal like?

Speaker 4 (01:37:08):
Meaning what I'm not following you on that?

Speaker 2 (01:37:10):
Okay, their TV deal that they just signed. How much
money they getting?

Speaker 4 (01:37:14):
I have no idea how much are they getting?

Speaker 2 (01:37:16):
You don't know how.

Speaker 3 (01:37:18):
I don't off the top of my head, I don't
know how much money they're getting. Go ahead, tell me
we've talked about this.

Speaker 2 (01:37:23):
You never listen to the show. They just signed an
eleven year, seventy six billion dollar media rights deal, right,
I think they're doing okay. I don't think they need
it to be New York in LA in order to
make them happy. They're gonna be fine.

Speaker 4 (01:37:39):
I see the point you're going, Well, you still want
to took you long enough to get there. I'll draw
up you got to you gotta walk it through me
a little bit better than that.

Speaker 2 (01:37:46):
Come on, now, what's confusing about it?

Speaker 3 (01:37:49):
No? I just I wasn't sure where you were going
with that when I said that they would certainly want
to see the Knicks and the Celtics and the Lakers
in the finals.

Speaker 2 (01:37:56):
Again, okay, and why would they want to see that?
Because you think that it it increase TV ratings through
the roof. It would not be through the roof. If
you've seen NBA. Well, first of all, it's not gonna
happen because your nick's tink against good teams. And secondly,
I don't think the Lakers are gonna end up getting
out of the second round either. Maybe maybe out of
the second round because I don't know how good you

(01:38:17):
have a problem.

Speaker 3 (01:38:18):
Now, I'm worried about Jalen Brown and getting a shot
in that knee.

Speaker 4 (01:38:21):
I think that's bigger than people are making about it.

Speaker 2 (01:38:24):
Same guy that said Jalen Brown's not important to the
Celtics each of the last two years. Now, all of
a sudden, it's like I sen shots on his knees.
Oh yeah, you called him.

Speaker 4 (01:38:32):
A scrub last year, calling him the scrub.

Speaker 2 (01:38:35):
Oh my gosh, You're like, you can't pay him. You
can't pay Jalen Brown.

Speaker 4 (01:38:39):
Only it was between him and Tatum. You can't pay him.

Speaker 2 (01:38:43):
Russev is the goat. Right if Jackson Dart is drafted
before Shiloh Sanders, I'll eat three extra large Domino pizzas
and a large bag of flaming hot cheetos. Well, Russov
is the goat Arnie, go ahead and screenshot that because
as Jackson, Dart will absolutely get drafted before Shiloh Sanders,

(01:39:04):
who I don't even think is gonna get drafted. Uh,
let's see there were two. By the way, did you
ever answer the man's question do you think Houston is
gonna make a run or not? Are'd you get too
caught up and dumping on the thunder and the fact
that you'll watch them?

Speaker 3 (01:39:15):
I said, well, and they could, but I still would
rather have Oklahoma City Lakers and maybe even Denver ahead
of the Houston Rockets.

Speaker 4 (01:39:23):
But that's the West is so loaded it's crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:39:26):
Jason B. Diamond I was very intre the.

Speaker 4 (01:39:28):
Clippers over the Rockets. But go ahead, I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (01:39:29):
Yeah, the Clippers look great. Yeah. Uh. Jason B. Diamond
I was very intrigued by the whole PGA versus Live
Golf storyline. Everyone, if they're in the world long enough,
becomes a villain. That's a good point. You wait, they'll
turn on Rory. He'll here soon at some point, he'll
keep he'll win too much. He's like, man, I'm tired
of seeing Rory win.

Speaker 9 (01:39:47):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:39:48):
And then Colin does the Giants ownership want to draft
a quarterback at three or is it more likely he's
paying Wilson and Winston and will tell the GM to
draft for other weaknesses. Just I can't believe that's your
plan when you're fighting for your job on either that
that's your quarterback. I just I can't fathom it.

Speaker 3 (01:40:07):
I think, take can you take like Quinn yours in
the third round or maybe fourth round and maybe that's
the quarterback you you want to take?

Speaker 4 (01:40:14):
All Alonger or Will Howard?

Speaker 2 (01:40:16):
I mean maybe, well maybe Dylan Gabriel, right.

Speaker 3 (01:40:18):
Lan Gabriel's Will Howard certainly. I mean the stuck has
to go up after the way the playoffs For this.

Speaker 2 (01:40:23):
Doubt, I am. I haven't seen if the Giants have
been all in on quarterbacks in their pre draft of visits.
I know they've talked to a couple of wide receivers
and uh even a linebacker, but I haven't seen them
bringing in a ton of quarterbacks. Whatever in the mirrow?

Speaker 4 (01:40:42):
Is he still possible first round pick or is he dying?

Speaker 2 (01:40:45):
Now? You know last year every single player that was
invited to the green room went in the first round
and Jay this was the stat that Ian Roddy had
for his last week. Yeah, they've invited they've invited him
to the green room.

Speaker 3 (01:40:58):
So that could be four first four quarterbacks taken in
the first round.

Speaker 2 (01:41:02):
Maybe, or maybe Jalen Milroe goes and Jackson Dart does it.
Though every single draft nerd that I pay attention to
now has almost Jackson Dart sharpied in in the first
round somewhere, So that'll be interesting to fight.

Speaker 3 (01:41:16):
I think I'd rather take a chance at uh Gabriel
or yours or Will Howard outside the first round.

Speaker 2 (01:41:21):
I get those guys in like the third or the fourth,
if they're still around. I don't think you're gonna get
Will Howard that late, but possible. You don't think you're
gonna get Will Howard in the third?

Speaker 4 (01:41:30):
Yeah, maybe I was gonna say second, but me and
maybe right.

Speaker 2 (01:41:33):
Do you think Will Howard's gonna go in the second round?

Speaker 4 (01:41:35):
Dock grows after the playoffs? Am I wrong on that?

Speaker 2 (01:41:39):
Well? I mean you're you're the draft expert. You're supposed
to be the one that's hosted the show. All right.
When we come back to the Tirack dot Com studios

are you picking? Are you gonna make playoff picks?

Speaker 4 (01:42:41):
Yeah, I'm gonna.

Speaker 3 (01:42:41):
I'm gonna do NBA and then next week I'll do
the NFL draft, so we'll be uh, the picks will
be mostly the NBA stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:42:48):
Okay, all right, fair enough. Then let's see we went
to the Nico saga. Oh uh, what you make of
Isaiah Thomas getting on Lebron James. Would you catch this week? Yes?
I did?

Speaker 4 (01:43:01):
He was really hammering Lebron?

Speaker 2 (01:43:05):
Was he not?

Speaker 4 (01:43:05):
Or what I have to say? I have to agree
with him on it too?

Speaker 2 (01:43:07):
Really why he's right?

Speaker 4 (01:43:11):
You're in a professional league.

Speaker 3 (01:43:13):
First of all, there was a dress code going to
and from the game, so they kind of laxed that.

Speaker 4 (01:43:19):
But why would you come out without a shirt?

Speaker 2 (01:43:21):
Might as well?

Speaker 3 (01:43:22):
You know you are a professional, you're an NBA player.
I don't know if his fans were not yet in
the game or.

Speaker 2 (01:43:30):
Okay, then why are you ready to fire those salvos?
And when you don't know when the video actually was.

Speaker 4 (01:43:35):
Because if you're going to go out and shoot around,
put a shirt on, that's all. I don't know why
he has to go on put on a Lakers shirt
or so.

Speaker 2 (01:43:42):
Do you have a problem whenever football guys come out
to do their warm ups with their shirts off.

Speaker 3 (01:43:49):
Not as much because sometimes they just do it to say, hey,
it's negative ten degrees.

Speaker 4 (01:43:53):
I want to show you.

Speaker 2 (01:43:54):
How it's pretty common in the NFL. You know.

Speaker 4 (01:43:59):
At Toyota Center, right, that's where they practice.

Speaker 2 (01:44:02):
Right, Well, that's what are you talking about? Who's that.

Speaker 3 (01:44:07):
The Lakers and the Kings also have a place where
they practice out by the airport. When you want to
go when you're from another team and you want to
go ahead and get skating in and practice a little bit,
and you have your team's jersey, you have to turn
your jersey inside out if you want to go ahead
and use their rink.

Speaker 2 (01:44:28):
How about that.

Speaker 4 (01:44:29):
That's their rules.

Speaker 2 (01:44:31):
Okay, So what does that have to do with Lebron
taking your shirt?

Speaker 3 (01:44:34):
It goes to show you they don't want other jerseys
on their ice even though it's practice, because they want
you know, that's their rules. And if you're in the NBA,
you got to wear a shirt. You got to be professional.
Don't show that. Hey, you know, why would you have
to go out without a shirt anyway? Put on a
Lakers shirt, put on a shooting shirt, put on anything.
You don't have to go out without a shirt on,

(01:44:56):
that's for sure. I agree with Isaiah. Why you don't
agree with Isaiah?

Speaker 2 (01:45:00):
I think it's the dumbest thing we've ever talked about
in the history of the NBA. I don't think a
single person outside of it do you even know what
channel that was on? What the the Isaiah Thomas take No,
I don't know what it was. It was on NBA TV.
I didn't even know he was still on TV. Like,
what are we doing? You're on NBA TV. We're getting

(01:45:20):
ready for the playoffs and you're gonna raise You're gonna
start a holy war dorn over a guy warming up
without a shirt off, especially whenever I don't even know
when when was the video taken? Like, how do you
know that It wasn't like hours before people showed up
to come inside the arena, right.

Speaker 4 (01:45:38):
It could have It could have been hours. You're right
about that.

Speaker 2 (01:45:40):
I think that's the other thing when they're like, yeah, yeah,
that's right, Isaiah, you tell them. I mean, okay, I
just I don't care. I heard that and we talked
about it on the show Friday Night. Arnie you had
it in the rundown tonight. I just I don't know, man,
Maybe maybe I should care more about it. We're not
too far removed. You brought this up to when David

(01:46:00):
Stern implemented a dress code because guys weren't they were
dressing like slat. Tim duncan remember he would have the
big blue jeans and a T shirt that he would
wear the games, they implemented a dress code. I mean,
this is a player's league. Now you're not going to
be able to do that. So I mean, I I appreciate,
I guess the old school mentality of it to get
off my lawn, But why do you care?

Speaker 4 (01:46:22):
Why do you have to not wear a shirt? That's
because you can. Well, that's not a good enough reason.

Speaker 2 (01:46:28):
Because you look like that. If I look like that,
I probably would walk around with my shirt off a lot.

Speaker 3 (01:46:35):
I was thinking about that if because I'm fat, do
I not want to take my Please, don't take your
shirt off?

Speaker 2 (01:46:42):
Right? If we're fat guys like us, If you're Lebron
James and you look like that grabbing my shirt off
all the time.

Speaker 3 (01:46:49):
I still would want to wear a shirt I don't
need to have. You know, suppose there's like mosquitoes or.

Speaker 2 (01:46:57):
Talking. But I get, hey, I appreciate the commitment to
old school in the proper way. Right, Hey, this is
how you do it, buddy. We didn't see old John
Havlacheck out there with his shirt off exactly.

Speaker 4 (01:47:09):
You're right about that.

Speaker 2 (01:47:10):
Benny Microwave Johnson never took his shirt off.

Speaker 4 (01:47:13):
Amen to that.

Speaker 2 (01:47:14):
And you know who Elston ste de Seger, who's very profound.

Speaker 4 (01:47:17):
So he does he doesn't that shirt on?

Speaker 2 (01:47:18):
Now? Oh all right, well I'm here for it. What's
going on, Steve? Just warming up? It's swarming up, and
no one's in the buildings, so you're good.

Speaker 5 (01:47:25):
NBA right, Not true?

Speaker 2 (01:47:26):
Well, I mean that's true. That's fair.

Speaker 7 (01:47:29):
Different rooms, but we're all in the building. NBA regular
season ended today. The playoffs first round starts Saturday. The
second round starts in early May. All the seeds in
the East were already locked in before play started today.
We know Cleveland's the one seed. They lost in double
overtime to Indiana today. Donovan Mitchell of the Cabs missed
a fourth straight game with his sprained ankle. The team

(01:47:49):
says he should be back at practice. Defending champion Boston
is the two seed. They won at home against Charlotte,
which lost its seventh straight game. The Hornets finished nineteen
and sixty three. Peyton Pritchard thirty four points in Boston.
The Celtics dig confirmed Jalen Brown got shots in his
knee this past week. New York the number three seed
in the East. They won their finale at Brooklyn. We

(01:48:10):
already knew in the East first round series would include
Nicks versus Pistons, Pacers, and Bucks. Starting next weekend. We
do have the start times for Saturday's game ones. Milwaukee
will start things off one pm Eastern Saturday at Indiana.
Then it's Clippers at Denver game one three thirty Eastern Saturday.

(01:48:31):
Then it's Detroit at the Knicks with a game one
Saturday at six pm Eastern and the late game Saturday
the nineteen.

Speaker 4 (01:48:37):
Maybe I'll go to the game.

Speaker 2 (01:48:38):
Yeah, that'll happen.

Speaker 7 (01:48:40):
Minnesota at the Lakers eight thirty pm Eastern time. By
the way, we do have in the East Wednesday playing
games Miami at Chicago included. Chicago won its finale at Philadelphia.
Miami lost by one at home to Washington, which finished
at eighteen and sixty four. But for Miami, himiy H

(01:49:00):
did have forty one points. Miami and Chicago, I think
it's three straight years for those teams in the play.
In also Wednesday, Dallas at Sacramento. The losers on Wednesday
are out because those matchups are the nine seed against
the ten seed in the East. The play and Tuesday
Atlanta at Orlando. Those two played each other today in
Atlanta Hawks won. For what it's worth anyway, Tuesday's winner

(01:49:23):
gets the seventh seed in the East and will go
to Boston. Spurs beyat Toronto despite thirty five points from
Scottie Barnes, New Orleans lost at home to Oklahoma City.
The Pelicans lost seventh straight to end the season and
finished with a record of twenty one and sixty one
victories for Sacramento and Memphis. The Grizzlies were already locked
into a play in in the West. We now know
it's Memphis at Golden State late Tuesday. A Warrior loss

(01:49:46):
in the finale drops them to seventh in the West.
They'll be hosting that playing game. The winner late Tuesday
will go to Houston to start a series next weekend.
By the way, all those teams that are waiting to
know their opponent, obviously they're not playing in until Sunday
for game one, so that would be Houston and Oklahoma City.
That would be Boston and Cleveland with their game ones
next Sunday. The Golden State finale was a great game.

(01:50:09):
It went overtime. The Clippers won it one twenty four
one to nineteen in ot Clips have won eighth straight.
Their record the last month and a half eighteen and
three Clippers against Denver. Denver won it's finale easily, and
that's an understatement. One twenty six one eleven was the final,
but Denver was up by thirty six points with ten
minutes to go. And Minnesota did itself proud in the

(01:50:31):
finale because it got forty three points from Anthony Edwards
and beat Utah. So Minnesota finishes sixth in the West.
They'll face the Lakers in the first round starting Saturday night.
Minnesota could have been as low as eighth with a loss. Instead,
they did get to host Utah, after all, the worst
team in the league this year, Utah finished seventeen and

(01:50:52):
sixty five, and Minnesota did get to have it star
on the court. Anthony Edwards on Friday picked up his
eighteenth technical foul of the season, which would normally mean
an automatic one game suspension. The tea was rescinded on Saturday.
He played on Sunday in the NHL Colorado and Edmonton
with wins NASCAR win for Kyle Larson at Bristol. He

(01:51:13):
dominated the whole weekend there. Baseball Cubs over the Dodgers
four to two, but Cubs pitcher Justin Steele will have
season ending elbow surgery. The Padres are ten and zero
at home after beating Colorado six nothing, shut him out
all weekend Arizona and Seattle with wins the Mets as well.
San Francisco beat the Yankees five to four the loss
to Carlos Rodon Toronto in ten innings. Won at Baltimore

(01:51:36):
seven to six the Orioles with runners in scoring position
zero for thirteen. Former White Sox pitcher Garrett Crochet got
the win for Boston in Chicago, three to one. Crochet
eleven strikeouts in seven and a third. White Sox four
and eleven so far wins for Miami and Tampa Bay,
Cincinnati as well. Saint Louis shutout Philadelphia and Zach Wheeler

(01:51:58):
seven nothing. The Phills offense three you for thirty. Kansas
City won at Cleveland four to two. Guardians had been
five and oh at home. Minnesota's record was four and eleven,
but it got to win at home today against Detroit
five to one, and Houston beat the angel seven to three.
Mike Trout went over four three strikeouts. Trout is betting
one ninety six back to you.

Speaker 2 (01:52:18):
Oh wow. You had Mike Trout in your Hey Steve,
have a great week, buddy. You had you had Trout
in your Roman numeral rundown. Was that because of his
struggles or.

Speaker 3 (01:52:27):
Yeah, I knew he was going to struggle. I thought
I put it in there. No, that was because of
the play he made. Okay, what did you think about
that play?

Speaker 2 (01:52:37):
We gotta stop doing that, fans.

Speaker 4 (01:52:40):
But he was in the stands though.

Speaker 2 (01:52:41):
Trout was right. But he's making a play, you know,
I know, But come on, dude, reaching into a dude's
glove to take the ball out, it's that fair play?
You think that's fair play?

Speaker 3 (01:52:57):
No, but ed he caught it originally on the first
swipe at it, that would have been a good play.
The fact that he did reach into the glove, I'm like,
what are you doing?

Speaker 2 (01:53:05):
Dude?

Speaker 3 (01:53:06):
Come on, man, I mean and then he apologized afterwards.

Speaker 2 (01:53:10):
All right, I would apologize too, so they don't kick
me out of the stadium so I never get to.
But if you want to.

Speaker 3 (01:53:15):
Call it cleanly the first time, I would have had
no problem with it.

Speaker 2 (01:53:18):
The fan Yes, okay, yeah, I mean I agree with that,
but we we gotta stop touching dudes. I don't know
how else to put it. That's a terrible out of context.
We gotta stop like grabbing Mookie that the Yankees fans did.

Speaker 3 (01:53:32):
I'm ready for somebody to take his mint or something
like that. They almost did, and I went your jersey too.

Speaker 2 (01:53:39):
Come on, gosh, I got a lot of stuff to
get here. On the on the tweets to the show tonight,
there's been some really good ones at Stinking Genius wanted
playing show, and of course everybody should follow us over
at Fox Sports Radio. Let's see how about this Julian Wright?
Seven years? Seven years at a university. So you're telling

(01:54:01):
me that a student athlete cannot get it right after
four or five years. No, there's definitely something wrong with
the system and it will collapse. Now again, let's remember, Arnie,
there was COVID years that were baked in and right.
You had this rule during that time where whenever you
if your coach left, you could transfer with.

Speaker 4 (01:54:20):
How do you not graduate?

Speaker 2 (01:54:22):
Well, you do you get graduate? He's probably got about
twelve degrees by now. I mean, what's the great line
for Tommy boy. A lot of people go to school
for seven years. Yeah, they're called doctors now, they're called quarterbacks.
Nature Boy tends to disagree with our Houston take. Arnie.
He writes, the Houston Rockets are dangerous, young and arrested.

(01:54:43):
Look out. I don't know about that. And then I'd
like to see it one more before we get to
Arnie's picks that I know everybody is here waiting for.
Before the show wraps up, I'd say to talk about
Aaron Rodgers. For Plank's sake. Things have been quiet with
him tonight. You know what. I'm hopelessly addicted to the

(01:55:04):
Aaron Rodgers drama, but there's been none for two weeks.

Speaker 3 (01:55:07):
I don't think at all. There's no part of me
thinking that he's gonna retire. I think he will play
this year. He's just waiting for all the situations to fall.
I think he's waiting for after the draft. But there's
no part of me that thinks that he's gonna say,
you know what, if I don't get the right situation,
I'm gonna retire.

Speaker 2 (01:55:25):
I think he is gonna come back. And then Darrell
agrees with you. He's like Plank, you don't have to
care about it more. It's Isaiah's opinion. If you don't
like it. That's fine, but to not respect it and
crap all over it is lame. Two rag and shirtless
is ridiculous of Lebron. People were definitely in the arena.
Would never fly under Stern. Have to crap these. Let

(01:55:47):
me repace that three quarters of the stuff the NBA
guys are doing right now wouldn't fly under David Stern.
And I gotta tell you right now, David Stern probably
wouldn't fly as the commissioner of the NBA trying to
implement the things he did today day whenever he was
alive twenty years ago and the commissioner of the NBA.
We're in a different world now. All right, we got
a break, We'll come back. Arnie's picks her next on

(01:56:08):
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (01:56:09):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:56:13):

twenty fourth, at eight pm Eastern through the first round
of the draft. In Saturdayjay Glazer, former Jets GM Joe Douglas,
College Football Hall of Famer LeVar Arrington, and Fox Sports
Leave college football reporter Jenny Taft. We'll have pick by
pig predictions and reactions to every first round pick. That's Thursday,
April twenty fourth, at eight pm Eastern through the first

(01:56:52):
round of the draft, live right here on Fox Sports Radio,
brought to you by Ship Station. Arnie Spaniard take Away,
what do you have with your picks?

Speaker 3 (01:57:02):
Let's do it. Let's start now. Monday, of course, is
an off day, so they start tomorrow. Hawks, Magic, Grizzlies Warriors. Right,
they're gonna be on Tuesday. I'm gonna take Orlando lay
the five and a half against Atlanta.

Speaker 2 (01:57:17):
No King, Kings, Mavericks, Grizzlies Warrior. When I say Hawks, Mavericks.

Speaker 3 (01:57:23):
I'm sorry. Let's let's do this again. I'm taking the Magic.
Did I say the Magic? Okay, I'm taking the Magic. Yeah,
minus five and a half over in Atlanta on Tuesday,
and I'm taking the Warriors, though, that's a tough line
against the Grizzlies. That's six and a half. Almost wanted
to take the grizz but the Warriors so tough at all,

(01:57:43):
so many points in that one. The over run there's
two twenty nine a half. So I'll take the Warriors
and lay the six and a half in that one.

Speaker 2 (01:57:50):
But that's that's Warriors and Rockets in the first round
of the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (01:57:55):
Okay, next game is good.

Speaker 2 (01:57:57):
Next games are on Wednesday.

Speaker 4 (01:57:58):
I'm gonna take the ball.

Speaker 3 (01:58:00):
I'll lay the point and a half against the Miami Heat,
and I'm all over Sacramento minus the four and a
half against the Mavericks.

Speaker 4 (01:58:09):
Now the other teams were gonna do.

Speaker 3 (01:58:12):
I think my Knicks get by the Pistons in five games,
maybe even four, but I'll just say five. We'll leave
it at that. I'm gonna take the Pacers over the
Bucks in seven. I think that's gonna be a good one.
I can't wait for that. In the West, I'm taking
the Lakers over Minnesota in five games, and I man,

(01:58:34):
Clippers and Clippers and Nuggets are a seven game series,
and I'm gonna go with the Clippers.

Speaker 4 (01:58:41):
You know what, I'm gonna go with the cos Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:58:43):
Look at you? Are you trying to get on Ben
Mallor's good side.

Speaker 4 (01:58:46):
Yes, yes, so I'm gonna go with the Clippers. There
you have my picks.

Speaker 3 (01:58:50):
Do with the MIDGEA please no longer strictly for entertainment purposes, own.

Speaker 2 (01:58:55):
It just seemed like you came to a panicked d
We got more time you Okay?

Speaker 3 (01:58:59):
Well though, I just because Oklahoma City, Houston, Cleveland, and
Boston not going to know who they play until all
the playing games are done.

Speaker 2 (01:59:09):
Well, why don't you tell us who they're gonna play?
Come on, you're seeing the future. You're a sooth sayer here, Yeah,
you stop short of it.

Speaker 3 (01:59:16):
No, I don't know who they're gonna play yet, so
when I when we figure it out, I'll give that
next week. But I mean, the next series doesn't even
start to win Saturday. You know, we got a whole
week to go.

Speaker 2 (01:59:26):
If you're picking all of these games. And it's funny.
I'm not dogging on it, but yeah, I just it's
funny because we're gonna be the same spot next week.

Speaker 4 (01:59:34):
Yeah, all right, but they start start Saturday.

Speaker 2 (01:59:37):
Some start Saturday. Yeah. April April twentieth is apparently the
first day of the Thunder playoff series. But obviously we
don't know against two. And I think my favorite part
was we don't know what time because I get my
thunder emails, you know, because I'm a homer, and it's like, hey,
we're gonna play next Saturday. That's great. Who we're playing now?
We don't know. Okay, what time we played.

Speaker 4 (01:59:58):
No dot no, but we aren't playing that.

Speaker 2 (02:00:01):
But we're gonna play. So make sure you keep your
Saturday open. All right, it's gonna be an evening game.
We don't know. Thank you. NBA really appreciate it. And
again I get it, I get it, I get it.
We got time before we get there.

Speaker 4 (02:00:15):
They're really gonna spread the playoffs out this year.

Speaker 2 (02:00:18):
It's gonna be crazy. It's gonna be crazy. Eric final thing,
Final thought. Rights betting guy said the Knicks won't get
pushed by Detroit. Six games. Seems like you got pushed,
doesn't it. When Todd Furman came on, he's like, I
don't think they'll get pushed. They'll win it in six.
I think when you're not pushed, you win in four

(02:00:39):
or five.

Speaker 3 (02:00:39):
Right, I'm gonna have to agree with y'a on that too. Yes,
six six is three games to two, and anybody could
win the next one.

Speaker 2 (02:00:45):
All right, Big Ben Mallor is coming up next. You
got anything we gotta promote for you this week? Are
you on uh with with Harmon at all? Or are
you on Saturday? Do we know yet Nope?

Speaker 3 (02:00:54):
Taking the week off an enjoy the little rested relaxation.

Speaker 2 (02:00:58):
All right for Mary mac Great job tonight by Ryan
Berschinger who came and sat in with us, Steve Desager
on updates and of course the millions and millions of
editors behind the scenes. Ben Maller is coming up next
for Arnie Spanier. I'm Chris Plank. This is Fox
