Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to sports radio. Rado donal.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Let's go stickings.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
God, I was first half that I wasn't gonna get you.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Here we are the New York Nicks. Let's go.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
I like how you guys handled success with like the
least bit of you know, it's good win. Did they
start tearing down billboards or climbing up light poles after winning? Again?

Speaker 2 (00:25):
I gotta note, I gotta tell you that Indiana is
the most insufferable team ever. Rich go ahead, No, it's
it's it's it's disgusting, it really is. I mean, the
first of all, they've never committed a foul. Lebron should
be on Indiana, but.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
He watched Karl Anthony.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Are you serious?

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Yes, you guys, are you about one team complaining in
the NBA? Are and he? Everyone does it?

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Indiana does it more than everybody. You guys are just
shut up, Just shut And how abouty First of all,
how many appeals do they get? Like a hundred of them?
It seems like they get them over and over again,
and they win. Everyone everyone goes their way, Well, everyone
goes against the New York Next, Yeah, you're right, Uh

(01:13):
it was incidental contact. So we're gonna get the foul
on Karl Anthony Towns for no reason.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
So I think my new favorite thing in the NBA
is how every foul call, regardless of when it is
in the game, aren't he at any point every single
player turns to the bench and starts doing the review thing.
They start doing the challenge thing. I mean, it's it's.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
I'm doing the review thing right now for the end
of game number one. Still I still want that to
get reviewed. I'm not done with that, for crying out loud.
I want that overturn. You want the double dribble, Well,
it wasn't double dribble. I didn't say it was. And
I'm just okay.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
I don't think we've ever gone back and replayed a
game like that's all.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
We've done that before.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Yeah, you bring up on regular season game with Shack
like twenty five years ago.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
So that's all I got to hang my hat on.
What do you want me to do?

Speaker 3 (02:00):
You get one coach's challenge. If the coach's challenge is good,
you get a second.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
They get no. They they get like fifty of them.
They really do. I'm not kidding. They get fifty. They
just insufferable. They really are their fans are here.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
To tell you, Arnie, you gotta I'm not saying that
you're not right. I agree with you. Yeah, but that's
every NBA team. That's every NBA team and every NBA fan.
Watch the thunder, watch the Timberwolves, and then listen to
how their fans talk about it when they are breaking
it down for the opponent. It's just it's the league now, man.

(02:36):
I think I don't think you're wrong. I'm not arguing
with you, were disagreeing with you. I just think everybody
does it. It's insufferable, period. Man.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Yes, it would be. They wouldn't be cheering if I
was playing because they get help in the face to
the neck, and they wouldn't be they would be laughing
about that. I just it just disgusted me. But you
know all that laughing when they're up by twenty and
a ninety five chance to win. Let me tell you something,
the Knicks. If the Knicks came out and won by
twenty and everything was going their way and it was

(03:06):
just happened to be one of their Knights and they
hit their first twenty three pointers and they got up
by thirty, I still wouldn't feel good. Nicks had no
The Knicks had to steal this game. They had to
steal it and make them hurt the way we hurt
it in game number one, and now to have doubted
themselves and say what happened and we should have been

(03:27):
up three nothing. We had to thieve it back, like
in Ocean's eleven or twelve or thirteen or four, you
know one of those Ocean ones.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Well, we had two. I don't really know that you
had from you, I don't know, but.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
We we had to fieve it back, you know what
I'm saying, and make them hurt and punish them like
the Game one.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
You know, I like it. I like it. Thanks, So
tonight is the resurgence and now you win the series?
Is that what you're saying?

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Oh, if we win the next game, it's done. It's
all you need.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Okay, so you still need the next game.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
We need the next game. But I feel I feel
good now, I mean you should, yeah. I mean if
you would have bet the Knicks to win the series
when they're down twenty in this game, you probably could
have gotten like twenty to one or something like that.
I feel good.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
I hate to go straight to the X submissions. To
the program that stinking genius one at Plank Show at
Fox Sports Radio. I hate to go there right off
the top, but Colin, do just point out, Yay, we
get happy neurotic Arni instead of miserable neurotic Arny. It's
a good point.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Yeah, and I'm well arrested. I'll have to tell you
about my vacation when later on in this show was
a slight way.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
It's the big story. It's Roman, most Roman numerals you've
ever had show, and your penmanship is terrible. I can't
read half of this. What you're talking about in Roman
numeral fifteen? What is Roman numeral fifteen?

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Oh, that's a really serious topic. It Yeah, that is
a very serious point.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
It's about a guy that has marijuana with him. I
don't know how serious that is.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
No, No, it really is. I'm not kidding around. That's
a very serious topic. Maybe we'll get to that a
little bit later. I wanted to make sure I got
you want anybody talk about that one?

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Well?

Speaker 4 (05:03):
I know, because uh, I don't even know what the
name is. What's the name? No, I'm gonna get to
that later on. We'll go to it.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
But I did. I came up with twenty eight twenty
eight roman numerals. I was actually gonna put this on
Twitter and let people decide which.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Way I would like for you to put it on
Twitter so people can figure out what that name is
on roman numeral fifteen.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
You know what, I'm putting it up right now.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
I'm gonna there you start putting up instead of your
the New Exciting show, which is your copy and paste
every week, I think you should start putting the Roman
numeral out so people can see what I have to
deal with every single week.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
I don't cry you think I don't know what you
can't read?

Speaker 3 (05:39):
What is the name on fifteen?

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Jared Shaw? That is not Jared Yeah, it is j
E R R E D Jared Shaw.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
It looks like Dreel and Shaw looks like shar Is.
I'm trying to look at I'm like, is that your
mall chef.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
I'm posting it now, posting now so people can see it.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
So again, rested Ian Roddy obviously is an expert at photoshop.
The tweet for the show was out. It looks I mean,
you can't even tell that it's photoshops. But already, no,
not at all. I was a vacation. It looks like
you overdid it a little bit. In the sun. Was
everything okay?

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Everything the resort was phenomenal, even though I guess there
was a mix up on which resort we were in
what so, Yeah, I guess I thought we were in
a different resort, so that was a little bit of
a mix up.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
I was how did that get mixed up? So what
you're telling me is that it was it all inclusive?
Oh no, it was all inclused.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Okay, But by the way, I'll never do all inclusive again,
never ever, ever do all inclusive.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
So you weren't able to get your cheeseburger at midnight?

Speaker 2 (06:41):
No, no, the food just sucked. I mean the only
thing good was the buffet, to be honest with you,
but the food was horrible. I would I would never
do all inclusive again. I did do the I did
do the dune buggy ziplining thing. I hate zip wining.
I don't like that anymore.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Thing you hate on your bad because I just as
my wife made me. She's probably hoping I would fall off.
And they don't really exactly.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
And you know what, they don't even really give you
instructions quite the language barrier. They're just like, okay, go,
I'm like, what what does what does that mean? What
do you mean?

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Go?

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Put your feet up and go? I you know, it's
it's amazing. They go, anybody, do you who speaks English?
And I raised my hand and they go good, and
then they continued in Spanish. I I just I couldn't
understand it. But you know what really is surprising the
gasoline It it's three dollars a leader there.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
Oh really, so if you first of all, the Dominican
payso is actually sixty percent less than the Mexican payso
how about that? So?

Speaker 4 (07:49):
Wait, hold on, hold on, hold on, three a leader.
Isn't that like not even half a gallon? Three dollars
a leader? There's four leaders about a gallon.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
Yeah, that'd be about twelve hundred, which, which means twelve
hundred paysos in a gallon comes out to about close
to twenty dollars a gallon for gasoline if you want
to put it into American money.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
Yeah, that's what I can't listen. Not all of us
are seasoned world travelers.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
Yes, I know that. Yeah, you want to know what,
let me tell you the best part of this. I'll
tell you all the stories later on, but this was
the best part. I couldn't. I ran out of American money,
so I was stuck getting Dominican paysos. And you know,
my son's like, yeah, I think a thousand paysos comes
out to six dollars. I'm like, great, I'll tip it.
I think I'm a big shot. Instead of fives, I'm

(08:42):
gonna be giving out sixes and I'm giving out the
thousand dollars paysos and I go, you know, I've been
at double check this and I realized it wasn't six
dollars I was tipping. It was sixteen dollars. I'm tipping.
So like every time somebody brings me a drink, I'm like, yeah,
you're sixteen sixty. You would have thought, oh, you would
have thought I was like Bazels out there, people just

(09:04):
like can I get you another drink? And I can
I get you this?

Speaker 3 (09:07):
So but other than me not understanding the currency, it
was a it was I did have to cancel a
I did have to argue with a guy, and I
was ready to go to jail, but that I rethought
about it and going I did, you don't want to
go to at jail anywhere. Well, I was thinking.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
I was thinking, well, first I was going to hold
my ground. I was, I said, call the cops then,
and then I'm thinking, wait a minute, what do you do.
I'm in the Dominican Republic, outside the walls of the resort.
Do I want to go to prison, be there for
a year? Trade me for like the Merchant of Death
too or something like that. I don't need that. I

(09:43):
don't need that headache, and I it wouldn't make me
very comfortable. I'd missed the show a lot.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
Yeah, yeah, and you were Misslessen. I like Aaron, but
it's you know, you and I have done this together
for a minute, so it's a little different work.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
I was so hungry when I left the resort. Back
when we got to the airport, I spent seventy seven
dollars in taco bell. No, I'm not kidding.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
You really probably could.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
I'm not kidding. I have the receipt. I bought a
margarita with a double shot of Jose Quervo.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
Why oh, at a taco bell.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
Yeah, at a taco bell at the airport and Punta Kana.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
Well, listen, I'm glad canna. Yeah, that'd exactly put to Canada,
Pakana to twenty to twenty one, whatever it takes. So
I guess the good news is you had a good time, right,
I had a good time.

Speaker 5 (10:27):
Though.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
We had a good time and we were back.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
So I will say though, before we get into your
nick swin tonight. Yeah, I was surprised by how much
I heard from you, Oh yes, sweet even, And it
wasn't really too terribly much of you know, you being
mad about the you being mad about the Knicks loss
in the first two games, but just sprinkling in stories
every now and then. You sent me the You send

(10:51):
me the story about the enhanced Games, the sporting event
that's going to allow steroid and other performance enhancing drugs.
You you me to know about Jim or passing away
that we're going to get to tonight. You send me
all the stuff on the big twy. You got the
big twelve now up there with the big ten in
the SEC. I guess so it was. I was surprised
how much I actually heard from I thought I wouldn't

(11:11):
hear from you at all.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
There was a lot of stories going on. I was
just I was sitting on the beach doing nothing. I
was doing it. I was going between the pool and
the beach. But here's what I do want to say.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
One thing.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
There must have been like a models convention down there,
modeling thongs, because we had young ladies at our pool,
just overtaking the pool, playing volleyball in the pool, and
and I was talking to a couple of them, very
nice young ladies, and they made me play volleyball with them.
So there's like six on one side, six on the

(11:45):
other side, and me, So twelve supermodels.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
That sounds terrible.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Sorry, I should have my wife take pictures, but she
was disgusted with me.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
What was going Did you get in trouble for it?

Speaker 2 (11:59):
She just went and took a walk on the beach.
You couldn't stand it anymore.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Did you win? Did you win your volleyball game or not?

Speaker 2 (12:04):
I didn't remember. I couldn't come. I wasn't paying attend. Shit.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Well, I'm proud, I'm glad.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
I'm glad, you have good time.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
Glad. Don't know if you won your volleyball game, but
with six models on one side and six on the
other and you, I was uneven, but they I think
you won. So twenty eight Roman numerals tonight. But let's
go ahead and put a rap on our opening segment
here by just again praising your Nicks. We'll a comeback, right,
And I guess this is wild. The Knicks and the

(12:34):
Pacers have now combined for five twenty point comeback wins
in the NBA playoffs. You guys have three of them, right,
the two Celtics now, and they've got one of them
against you. But where did that come from? With Karl
Anthony Towns. I'm sitting there, I'm watching it, and I've watched.
I watched this whole. I wanted to be smart. I've
got notes here for you to nine talking about good

(12:55):
challenges and things of that nature. Uh, the physicality that
was allowed. But then at one point, this guy like
what I was talking, It's like Carl Anthony Town's been
playing this game. Then all of a sudden, in the
fourth quarter, he scored every point. He had twenty of
his points in the I went back, as someone tweeted it,
I went back and I went through the play by
play because I didn't believe it, Like, there's no way

(13:16):
Harney twenty of his twenty four points came in the
fourth quarter.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Yeah, I was.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
I was come from.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
He was playing so bad that when I thought the
Knicks were going to lose, and that was in the
third quarter, even though they had cut it to thirteen,
I think it bounced back up to fifteen. I was saying, Okay,
we got to make a decision on Karl Anthony Towell.
This guy does appears in big games, or we want
to keep this guy. Can we trade him? What's his
contract look like? If Blake looked that up as I'm

(13:42):
too angry right now to look anything up, and I'm
thinking that this guy can't be around and next thing
I know, he just takes off in in in the
fourth quarter. Hey, I gotta say one thing. There was
a call I believe it was in the third where
he got tied up with hot was it HALLI Burton
and they gave hollib Hurting the foul and they said, well,
we're gonna look at it again. You know what all

(14:04):
Burton really did was no big deal. We're gonna give
the foul to Towns. And that was exactly what happened.
I'm not making this up, Chris. So we're gonna give
the foul the Towns. That's number four on him. That
changed the whole complexion you got. I've never seen how
Towns and and Brunson have five fouls and they're on
the verge of fouling out of a game. I've never

(14:26):
seen anything like that.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
Well, I listen. I know that there's this saying in
football where you can call a hold on every single play. Yeah, yeah,
I think we've reached a point in the NBA where
you can truly call a foul on every single play.
But they do. The ref's whistle does seem to find
him quite a bit. I'm not this guy. Hear what
you're saying, Arnie, and it seems to find them in

(14:49):
bunches right. All of a sudden, You're like, well, that's
like three fouls in a row on him, and I
don't yeah, yeah, yeah, you're you're my NBA, You're my
You're my basketball guru, Warnie. So I don't know. Whenever
you look at as you say, yeah, those are fouls
that should get called, or if hey, it seems like
he's on tilt, so maybe he's making mistakes out there,
if it's Brunton or Towns or whomever, or if it's

(15:10):
just ah, we're bored, We're gonna show them let's let's
whistle them for some fouls. I don't know if you're
claiming conspiracy here or if you're mad at your guys
for getting in that kind of situation.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
No, I think that was a bad thing. You can't
go ahead and say, well, what he did was incidental,
so well, but what Towns did. We can't let him
get away with that crap. We gotta give him a
foul on that. They're not getting any calls out there,
and I know when you look at the foules it
looks about even, but every call is going the PACER's way.
Everything is going the pacers away. And by the way,

(15:42):
great reporting. Uh, theysmith's return questionable. Doesn't look like he's
gonna return comes back in the game. Nobody says a
damn thing. Didn't even though he was back.

Speaker 6 (15:51):
In the gate.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
I didn't either. That's a great point, nobody.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
I didn't even know why you guys are gonna say something.
He was there no twenty minutes ago.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
There is no more underused entity in NBA broadcast than
the sideline reporter. They used him for those and you
know what else. I'm done with these quarter interviews. I
don't want to play I want a player in the
huddle with his team. I don't need him talking to uh.
And I know this is me kind of cutting off
my nose to spite in my face because I'm a
sideline guy. Yea, but Arnie, I don't give me injury updates.

(16:22):
Let me know what I can hear it from you.
I don't need a two question, one word answer between you.
It seems like Jalen Williams is always doing them for
the thunder or the coach. Just go give me an update.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
Let me know they're here. From the fan in the
top row. What do they need to do to get
back in the game. Let's go to this fan in
the top row, because.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
All you're gonna get from the player is just gotta
play arder. I gotta make some shots, all right, thank you,
thank you, thank you. I Agret, I feel so much
more informed now. But I'm with you. I had no idea.
And when he left, Arnie, it looked like he was done.
It looked like he was done for the rest of
this Yeares, who's it gonna take to win this game.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
We've got to rebound, we gotta play offense, and we
gotta play defense. Now, defense win the.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
Game before anyone tries to yell at Arnie. Yes, the
Pacers were whistled for two more fouls tonight, but yes,
the Pacers shot three more free throws. I'm not I'm
not fighting him on this. I don't think you're wrong.
Whistle is favored Indianapolis in surprise.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
And every look back at every you know, questionable question
that you say you only get two per games.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
You get one and if you get it right, you
get a second.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Did Andy Adams had seven? Today? But can you save
them up from gaming the game? Can you can?

Speaker 3 (17:35):
You go?

Speaker 2 (17:35):
We had three for the last game. We're carrying them over.
It seemed like they had so many today. It really does.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
We got to get a break there, you go. The
Knicks have life and of the New York so did
the Timberwolves. You see that kick and they put on
the thunder last night.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
See that's so what though that they'll just truck that
up to a wasp. See the Knicks had to steal this.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
They needed this. They had to go rip their heart out. Yes, yes,
all right, when we come back. More reaction post game
sound coming up. Todd Furman in hour number two, it's
Arnie and Plank right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 6 (18:11):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app. Search FSR to
listen live.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
All right, it's already in Plank Company, live from the
Fox Sports Radio studios. Pretty good submission so far. On
X Hey, I gotta admit there's I mean a couple
big Greg here says that he he understands everything you're
writing on that doesn't need any help. I don't say
that he would go as far as saying perfect penmanship,
but there's a I have.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
Very good penmanship. I don't know what you're complaining about.

Speaker 3 (18:46):
It looks very good to be I actually took time
to write it out so you're able to read it.
I don't know what you're complaining about. You're like Hala
Burton Speah. I guess so I'm just I'm complaining about
foul calls because I guess everyone should be able to read.
What in the hell is going on in this Roman
numeral rundown bill? Again, we have to get into this
Roman numeral fifteen because I don't know what you're talking

(19:07):
about on this one. You haven't heard that story. I
want me to do.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
Its name is Jared Shaw, and I was going to
save this for later on. He's a former Oklahoma State
and Utah State player back in twenty twelve and twenty fourteen.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
I don't know. I thought maybe you had heard of him.
I never heard of him because of Oklahoma State, but
that was the only reason. He plays in the Indonesian
Basketball League. And he had one hundred and thirty two
pieces of marijuana gummy bear sent to him in the mail.
I guess in Indonesia that they don't play. Somebody tipped
off the authorities that package look suspicious. They got it,

(19:44):
and you know, he said he was going to share
it with his teammates. Now again, you know, you have
to go by the rules. And I understand that the
laws with the laws, and that's the way it is.
And if he had to do a year or two
in jail, so be it. That's not law in Indonesia.
Oh yeah, the law is either he'll either be in

(20:04):
jail for the rest of his life or they'll execute him.

Speaker 3 (20:07):
Whoa from marijuana.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
For the marijuana gummy bears?

Speaker 3 (20:11):
And there's five hundred and thirty people on death row
in Indonesia right now for drug related crimes.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Yeah, and you know, again, I guess it is a
little political because we know what happened with Britney Griner,
but we don't allow Americans to to be executed, even
if it's in a foreign country from marijuana gummy bears.
I haven't really heard anybody really talking about this story.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
The first I've heard of it, and our local news too.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
It only caught my attention because he played basketball in
the Indonesian League, and I'm like, you know, look, we
don't know the president, but people like Klay Travis know
the president. Colin Coward knows the president or at least
had him on the show. So somebody or maybe our
voice will be heard. But somebody has to make a

(21:01):
plea to the President Trump to do his best to
get him out of there and bring him back, like
I said, if he wants to. If we want to
put him a year or two in jail in America
for those offenses, that's fine or whatever the fine is
here or punishment is in America, But we don't execute

(21:22):
Americans and we don't allow that to happen for marijuana
company bear. So that's my plea. I'm hoping that it
gets back there or at least somebody is listening, Like
we get it to Clay Travis and I'll have somebody
get it to Clay and and say he the president's
got to step in and do something otherwise they're going

(21:42):
to execute him.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
Do you know how many Americans that don't play basketball
are currently being held as well in Indonesia? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (21:51):
No, I have no idea a lot.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
So yeah, he's not the If you dig a little bit,
there's quite a few non Indonesian people that are in
jail currently on what's considered that. I just said a
five hundred of them right now. So, like I said,
I had no idea about this story. And that's an
Oklahoma State guy, right, no clue whatsoever.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
And I just I just you know, I played basketball.
That's what caught me.

Speaker 4 (22:14):
Well, then you were overseas and you're trying to start
a fight foreign please right right.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
I want to remind everybody just real quick, okay, because
we're pretty prop Aserican group. You know, US Americans, when
you go to a foreign country, we have to abide
by their laws, right, And I understand that, Chris, but
you know it's it's it's their laws, it's their I
don't want to put this simply like this, but it's
it's nothing we could do about that now.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
But the punishment should not be execution. You you can't.
We don't allow you. We were, We don't allow you
to do that to Americans. So we have to do
something about it. I should say that one what is
that you need to be punished? Fine, you need to
spend the year in jail. Still too much, but but fine,
but we don't. We don't allow that to happen. So

(23:03):
hopefully we'll get back to the president. Well, we'll see
if we can do something about it.

Speaker 3 (23:08):
I guess I don't understand how hard it is to
google and just figure out, Hey, what's the penalty if
I get you? Yes for this?

Speaker 2 (23:13):
So you're right, you're one hundred percent right.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
No, no excuse about it other than it's just and
umane about what they're going to do to him. Hey,
if he's a basketball player, Arnie wouldn't have never heard
about this, if.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
You're right. But you know what, that's not our job. Though.
If it was a regular guy from Texas, I never
would have paid attention to it. That's for the political
talk shows. But when we do it with Britney Griner
or you know, we hear something like this is a
far less story than Britney Grinder. Nobody know. I had
no idea who this guy was, so it just caught

(23:47):
my attention out of nowhere and I'm like, this, this
can't happen. And then this happened two weeks ago before
I went on vacation, and I didn't hear anybody bring
it up, and I'm like, I.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
Don't know what.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
They do things pretty quick and Indwnesia, it's not like
you get like ten years of appeals.

Speaker 3 (24:03):
I mean, you know, there's probably no people that are
currently on death row, so I don't think they do
anything pretty quick.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
Well, for all I know, they're on death row for
a week and that's it. I who held those out there,
So hopefully we'll look into it us.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
Yeah, Okay, my apologies. Okay, So Roman Umber fifteen there
it is Arnie's Arnie's fighting for Jamal Shaw for Jamal shot.
See again, I thought it was Jared Jared Shaw.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
I think it was Jared Shaw.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
Than whatever your rundown says, I'm here for all right,
Thank you stinking genius got Nick's takes. We'll get him
to you coming up here in just a bit. First,
TV Sager, what's going on, Steve, He's got what's trending
in the world of sports.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
Hello, gentlemen, we it's the Saga and welcome back. We
have a nice year. Nick's victory to discuss. And if
you saw any of this game in the first half,
you probably didn't think that sentence was.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Didn't you quit on them on Twitter? Or no? Did you?

Speaker 5 (24:51):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (24:52):
I did, I was hacked. I meant to say something.

Speaker 4 (24:54):
I was shocked.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
Yes, there was somebody who wrote it was over? Didn't
didn't put that obviously?

Speaker 4 (24:59):
That well, if Arne wasn't a Knicks fan, he would
have just before his show ever started, he would have
burst into the previous show before his and said, this
series is over, oh v R. Because it was looking
for all the world like that, because the Knicks were
down twenty late second quarter.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
Ninety chance that Indiana was gonna win at that point.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
Chris loves that stat and yeah, probability, Yeah, no, s
they have a chance to win when they're up by
twenty with five minutes to.

Speaker 4 (25:27):
Go, facing a three games to none deficit. In fact,
the Knicks did win tonight at Indiana one oh six,
one hundred. It's a two games to one series lead
in the Eastern Conference Finals for Indiana. Pacers will host
Game four on Tuesday. So we can update a stat
that we brought up an hour ago in the knixt
franchise history, when they're down double digits to start the

(25:48):
fourth quarter of a playoff game. They're now five and
seventy four in the shot clock era. But this is
another road wins as disappointing as the home fans have seen,
you know, playoff game after play one? Did we pay
so much money for that kind of thing? In New York?
On the road? They are six and one this postseason
and got another road game coming Tuesday. Pacers in the

(26:09):
second half only scored forty two points tonight, tied for
their second lowest all season. Well, Pacers had fifty wins
regular season, Nicks had fifty one. If the Knicks can
win Tuesday on the road, this series will somehow be.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
What you showed by the Pacers.

Speaker 4 (26:26):
Oklahoma City leads the West Finals two games to one.
Game four at Minnesota is on Monday night. In the
NHL Playoffs, Edmonton leads the West Final two games to one.
After today's six to one victory over Dallas, it was
two to one late second period. USA Hockey took the
World championship in overtime, beating Switzerland won nothing in the final,
the game winner to Tage Thompson and the Buffalo Sabers.

(26:49):
Alex Polow won the Indy five hundred, the first driver
from Spain to take it. He's won the IndyCar season
title three times in the last four years. This was
his first five hundred victory six hundred. Who was in
Charlotte Tonight? Ross Chastain, who started in last place fortieth,
was the winner. William Byron, after leading the most laps
by far Tonight, finished in second. Kyle Larson participated in

(27:13):
both races today, did not actually finish either one. He
crashed out of the five hundred, then flew to North
Carolina for the NASCAR race, listed as finishing thirty seventh.
Again did not finish either one. But quite a day
and a long one for Did they say what happened?
Did he crash? That engine failure? You have to look
that up by Yeah, it was a what did they
call it? The DNF? Yeah, like he was out. Did

(27:36):
not finish, So there were what eight guys that actually
weren't running at the end of the race, and he
was one of them.

Speaker 3 (27:41):
Bubble won the game.

Speaker 4 (27:44):
Yeah, that's probably what he's asking because he doesn't know
anything else that's gone on in sports. The Mets beat
the Dodgers tonight three to one. Show me how Toni
did have a leadoff homer, but then Pete Alonzo hit
a two run shot bottom of the first and there's
your bulk of the scoring Dodgers with four ers tonight,
Each team with the same record now thirty two and
twenty one. Yankees won at Colorado five to four. Speaking

(28:06):
of win loss records, the Rockies are nine and forty
four on the season. Yeah, apparently that's the worst major
league record through fifty three games since nineteen oh one.
Way to go, A's five to four over the Phillies.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
Back to you, by the way, Larson did lead the
first lap of the Coke six hundred tonight, which I
thought was kind of cool.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
But he's listed as leading over thirty laps in this race.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
Yeah, yeah, he was. He was pretty dominant early and
then they had that tire issues is what did them in.

Speaker 4 (28:34):
It was Denny Hamlin won two with Byron for most
of the night. Hanlin led over fifty laps, but he's
listed as finishing sixteen.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
Yeah, a Stage three wreck damaged his right side beyond repair,
and then it was his own fault the wreck that happened.
It took him out of But Arnie Kyle Larson is
a driver that was trying to double today the fin
thank you.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
I'm like, how many points of the I can't find
them on the pass? What are you talking about?

Speaker 3 (29:00):
Exactly?

Speaker 4 (29:00):
But it actually wasn't a five hundred or a six.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
No, I don't even know if he combined it have
five hundred total miles in finish either. Were you into
the racing at all today, aren't you? I know that
it's it's not here on the Roman numeral rundown.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
No, I didn't have the fire. You have it thirty
five twenty twenty five, Yeah, Roman numeral twenty five. I
had it right there, so don't say I didn't have that.

Speaker 3 (29:22):
And then also there's twenty four with Rod guess pitt
what's that?

Speaker 2 (29:25):
Rod Rodgers?

Speaker 3 (29:26):
Roger Aaron Rodgers, come on r O DG or as
you going to Pittsburgh.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
You know I just figure that one out.

Speaker 3 (29:34):
Yeah, I just think you work with me a crazy
person if you think you have good pitmanship. Heys, all right,
So in your opinion now is uncle Moe and I
know what you're gonna say, because you're a Nick Homer
firmly in the Knick's locker room. Or did the Pacers
still hold it because they're home? What is this Monday?
May you well?

Speaker 2 (29:51):
If you want to know what, I figure what Vegas thinks.
Vegas thinks it's just one game because they came out
with the line. They have the same line as they
did in Game three. Pacers minus two and a half.
If they thought that the Knicks had any momentum, that
line would have been like one, maybe one and a half,
maybe even less than that. I think the Knicks have momentum.

(30:13):
Not only they're improbable winning this game. Think about that.
Forget about the twenty point lead, but in the second
half you were made to put Brunton on the bench
to less than two minutes left in the game. So
you had him on the bench. Towns had five fouls
at least four for most of the second half. He
had to worry about playing.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
You took.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
What's his face for the Knicks to three point shooter
McBride out because he picked three foules out immediately in
the first half, so he had to go to the bench.
I mean, the Knicks were a hamstrung with fouls and
it was just destroying their players, and they overcame that
on the road to win the game. So yeah, I

(30:57):
think momentum is definitely on the Knick side. If they
take Game four, it goes back to too. I can't
see the Knicks losing this series.

Speaker 3 (31:06):
I was really well, I mean I absolutely can't. In fact,
I matter fact, listen, let me tell you what you're seeing.
How can you see one game with a twenty point
comeback win and the next game is home and all
of a sudden it goes from I'll think they're gonna
lose this game. Now, you can't see them losing this series?

Speaker 2 (31:21):
No, no, no, I'll take it a step further. The
Knicks win the next game, they pretty much win the championship. Well,
I mean, okay, because nobody's gonna stand in their way.

Speaker 3 (31:32):
Really, they just lost two games at home and had
to come back from twenty down to win.

Speaker 2 (31:37):
Not your Oklahoma City Sooners, that's for sure.

Speaker 3 (31:40):
Yeah, they're freaking terrible. One an implosion last night.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
That was that their nickname, the Oklahoma City Sooners. No,
does anybody know their nickname?

Speaker 3 (31:47):
No, no one knows. They're just the Oklahoma City Sooners
that had the best regular season winning percentage in the
history of the NBA and the most double digit wins,
rolled through the Nuggets and the Memphis Grizzlies. But no, no,
you keep disrespected him, and then when you get to
the finals and you get smoked, we'll see what happens.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
Oh I wish I.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
No, you're not gonna get there. I think this was
a blip. I think this was a bump. Did you
see what the Pacers shot from three tonight?

Speaker 2 (32:13):
Yeah, they had five of them. They're never gonna do
that again, and finally caught up to them. You live
by the three. You died by the three, and they died.
Oh boy, they were horrible. I wonder if they how
many games in the whole season.

Speaker 3 (32:25):
Your knicks, right of your knicks outside of Anobi were
pretty bad from three tonight two Yeah, I mean he
was four for six and they all came in the
fourth quarter, which was wild. But I mean it's you
take away what Anobi did tonight and what you guys were?
You guys made eight three pointers seven three pointers in

(32:46):
the game too, So neither team shot the lights out.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
No, we had eleven. The Knicks had eleven.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
Yeah, but you never listened to me. I said, if
you take away a Nobe's four, then you had like seven.
See why do I try on this? Let me go
to Roman numeral sixteen. Now you can talk about someone
in Indonesia who's been in trouble.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
All right, Wow, Hey.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
When we come back to the Fox Sports Radio studios,

always get instant access. Hold on, there was something here
on the Roman numeral rundown that I felt necessary on
page one, Yes, Roman numeral five, Arnie, Roman numeral five

(34:09):
gets me right into this tweet from our buddy Paul. Paul,
welcome back. It's good to have you back on board tonight,
he writes. Reggie Miller is the Tom Brady of NBA broadcasting.
All he does is tell you what he just saw now,
what the strategy is, or what it should be. To me,
it's just pointless.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
Yeah, is it? Why does he just run onto the
court every time Haliburton makes a shot too and give
him a high five?

Speaker 4 (34:33):
Wait?

Speaker 7 (34:34):
Isn't calling calling anyone the Tom Brady of anything? Isn't
that calling them the greatest?

Speaker 3 (34:38):
ASAE?

Speaker 1 (34:38):
Right?

Speaker 3 (34:38):
I know, but I think I think, yeah, yeah, I
see what you're saying, Reggie.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
I mean, all he talks about, oh you know it's
two point oh the choke two point oh? Is shut up? Reggie?
Your day is gone. You know, I used to love
Reggie Miller. Now he makes me sick to my stomach.
He is insufferable. I just get disgusted. We'll see them
call the game.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
I this is not a good radio show tonight because
I'm going to say something for about the third or
fourth time. Right, I agree, Yeah, I don't know why
he's there. Just let Van Gundy be the guy. He's
pretty good. Reggie is too caught up in Reggie. And
you know where you know where Reggie's good when he's
a guest on with Dan Patrick.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
Yes, exactly. And then I want to hear the stories.
But what you're calling the game, I don't want to
hear about the Oh let me give him a high
five because I used to play for the Pacers. All right,
get out of here, geez.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
Joe Judges Berner. Right, we need Arnie to explain to
us how after the worst loss in NBA history by
his Nicks, he wasn't on air remotely from the Bahamas.
It's inexcusable. And I bet even Plank de Grease it was.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
The Minigan Republic and I did right. If you notice,
if you want to go to Roman numeral two slash
three because it's did make me physically ill that that
that was one of the worst losses I think by
a team I ever rooted for lost. It was It
was painful. I actually I can't think maybe it would

(36:14):
be top three of all time, but it made me
thinking because I figured that the series was gonna be over,
so I wanted everybody else to feel crappy about themselves.
I was gonna ask everybody, what was the worst loss
that you've experienced with your team, that one that you
still remember playing.

Speaker 3 (36:30):
Let's go around the horn on this one. Ian Ian's
got several teams to Seger's can help us out. I
would say the tuck rule still sticks with me. That's
a bad one. That is a bad one. And I
told the story many times. I had people over my house.
We were feeling good. It was it was well, I
say people, I had three three friends over, yeah, and

(36:52):
it's like, well, all doing the same time, same place,
and all of a sudden you have the ruling on
the field is being overturned, Like, guys, need to get out,
We're done. That was heartbreaking. You know what mine's the
Arizona Illinois game, the basketball Final four games.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
Yeah, well though it was it was an Elite eight.

Speaker 3 (37:10):
Game was an Elite eight.

Speaker 2 (37:11):
Yeah, and my wife would have left the house to
go shopping and we were up by like sixteen points
four minutes four plus minutes left, and she came back, going, Oh,
my goodness, you kick their ass. Are you gonna go
to the The Final four was in Saint Louis. Are
you gonna drive down there from Chigag You're gonna beat
Caag and all the guys. And she just sat over

(37:32):
me while we blew the sixteen four lead and lost that.

Speaker 3 (37:35):
Yeah, that hurt, that hurt, that had hurt. You know.
I'll throw a college one in there too.

Speaker 5 (37:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
Yeah, Let's see seventeen regular season. So the eighteen Rose Bowl,
whenever Oklahoma lost to Georgia, uh, the squib kick, you know,
all the things that happened down the stretch in that game.
Because I I'm still convinced butterfly effect. I think they
would have won the national championship that year. I think
they were beating Alabama. And then if they if they
play Alabama, Jay and Hurts probably never gets benched, so

(38:03):
Tua never comes in the game. Tua probably never plays
for Alabama because he transfers, right, I don't know any
It hurt. It hurt when they lost it and that
was that was Baker's last game as a Sooner. Yeah,
there's some tough ones. We did something similar to this
a couple weeks ago on the on the on the
Friday Night Show. Yeah, because uh, bree Brandamara are a

(38:23):
great producer and co host of the show. She has
a segment called Breeze three. Aren't you hear it all
the time? Because you're up at three thirty in the
morning whenever we do it every single Friday morning, four
to thirty your time, So maybe your first alarms going off,
But do you start bringing up So I was feeling
your pain a little bit because you start bringing up
some of these wounds that you've had as a fan.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
Oh horrible.

Speaker 3 (38:45):
You remember everything about him. It's like a bad relationship.
It's like a mistake you've made or your partner made,
whatever it might be. It sucks.

Speaker 2 (38:52):
It sticks with you through all the years. It just
it's it's it's worse than the winds are the good ones,
you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (39:00):
And this one can change though, I mean, if your
prediction is on, Yeah, Nicks are going to the NBA Finals.
Now after oh, then this one's out the window.

Speaker 2 (39:08):
Gotten, Yeah, right, all out the window. Everything's good. Then
you then you forgive everybody and you're all happy again.
You know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (39:15):
Yeah? Absolutely, but that's still pretty. But what a I
missed it? I missed the whole comeback. I missed every
I you guys were up fifteen with two thirty seven
to go. Uh, we had baseball. You baseball was in
the SEC tournament and the softball Super Regional. I thought
it was over. I thought it was over, dude, I
thought you guys won the game.

Speaker 2 (39:33):
You thought it was over. I thought it was over,
matter of fact. But I even I've tried to do
the math in my head like a win. But what
the what's the damn score? What's going on here? What's happening? Man?

Speaker 3 (39:43):
Well, hey, the good news is the Nicks bounce back
tonight with the one o six, one hundred win. We
got more of your reaction to it. The post game
sound is starting to filter in. We'll see who responds.
How you know, response is what the NBA playoffs are
all about. How do you respond? I'm curious to see
Alahoma City respond. I guess it would be now in
the Eastern and now Eastern times are not central yet.

(40:05):
How does Oklahoma City respond tonight whenever they take on
Minnesota over in Minnesota? How does how does Indiana now
respond on Tuesday night? Do the Knicks carry this momentum over?
His response? Because I'm gonna tell you right now, after
watching the first two games of both series, I thought
we might be in for sweeps, and two teams won
Game three. That made it very interesting. We'll talk about

(40:27):
it all night long with Arnie and Plank on Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (40:32):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 3 (40:35):
Is Karl Anthony Town's performance tonight? Arnie one of the
quickest the guy ever went from trade that bum to
put it in the alls and put him in the
Hall of Fame?

Speaker 2 (40:45):
Can quicker unless you're a kicker or something like that.
I don't know. I was.

Speaker 3 (40:50):
I'm not. I really missed you last week because there
was so many funny things that happened after your Nicks
advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals. There was the over celebration,
which again it wasn't the players, it was the fans. Right.

Speaker 2 (41:03):
Was that the one where they were throwing stuff at Windhurst, Windhorst.

Speaker 3 (41:07):
No, I meant when they were partying in the streets
after you guys just made the Eastern Conference finals, right
or you just kind of check the box where they
literally were climbing up on billboards. They were throwing stuff
in Windhorst.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
Yeah, you didn't see that after this beat Boston. They
saw winhur the Nicks beat Boston.

Speaker 3 (41:24):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (41:25):
They said they were throwing a lot of trash at
them and stuff like that. It was crazy.

Speaker 3 (41:29):
Are you sure you're not getting this confused with the
Indian Indiana Pacer fan. They just were throwing trash at No.
They I saw that one too, Yeah, I saw that
one also. Yeah, you guys need to chill out a
little bit. I mean just a little bit. That's where
I want to hang out. That's where I want to go.
I want to I'm not kidding. I want to watch
the game with them. My wife was like, you should

(41:50):
go down.

Speaker 2 (41:50):
I go. I don't even want to go to the game.
I want to just hang out on Seventh Avenue and
and just party with the fans and climb the light
post and stuff like that.

Speaker 3 (41:59):
I mean, probably not the smartest thing to do, right,
but I know that right, here's your boyle Yeah, a
lot cheaper. Here's Jalen Brunson.

Speaker 2 (42:08):
Unbelievable. I mean, I mean he's going for moments like
that and he still his home.

Speaker 5 (42:11):
So the way he did that, it's incredible.

Speaker 3 (42:13):
Talking about Carl Anthony Towns in the fourth quarter, it
was incredible. I mean, Brunson, how much should he sit
during the fourth quarter? I know what, He picked up
his fifth foul with about six minutes left. He sat
till less than two minutes left in the game. Here's
Rick Carlyle on Karl Anthony Towns in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 1 (42:30):
Didn't do a good enough job.

Speaker 2 (42:31):
You know.

Speaker 8 (42:31):
He he's got a hair trigger.

Speaker 3 (42:33):
You think you're close enough to him and he just
just flicks the wrist, you know.

Speaker 4 (42:36):
So he hit, he hit some threes, he got to
the rim, he played great, played great down the stretch.

Speaker 2 (42:43):
Let see, saved his job, by the way, saved his
job for now, TIBs. They lose this game, TIBs is
pretty much as good as gone for next year.

Speaker 3 (42:50):
Well that was Carlisle.

Speaker 2 (42:51):
But I know, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (42:53):
Well, I mean, couldn't you tell by the excitement level
in his voice?

Speaker 2 (42:56):
I mean I thought it could have been anyway like that.

Speaker 3 (42:59):
You know, here's Tim and I haven't heard this yet.
I haven't heard this yet. He's like Bill Belichicks, Tim's
great win man. Yeah, it's good, good one, filthy about things, far.

Speaker 2 (43:10):
Hard, hard, fuck game.

Speaker 5 (43:12):
I thought we got off to a good start, then
we got into foul trouble, and then we finished the
half pretty good, and then we were at our best
in the fourth, and a lot of guys stepped up.
I thought Cat's presidence, Josh all around played doing what
Josh does everything. I thought Juice gave us good minutes
when Jalen was in foul trouble. Og was terrific throughout,

(43:37):
Mitch gave us good minutes, and then Landry and Delon
did a really good job as well.

Speaker 2 (43:43):
Heard him, Yeah right, that's pretty much siging Scott Foster
needs the referee every game from here on out. That.
That's the first thing. I'm not so sure I would
stick with this lineup. I know that sounds crazy, the
starting lineup because they they want, but remember they should
have won game one also, and Game two is right

(44:03):
there and had nothing to do with the starting lineup.
I think this puts a lot of pressure and puts
them in the foul trouble. I think I put go
back to Mitchell Robinson being on the bench and maybe
going with somebody else. I even if you don't want
to start Josh hard, I maybe go in a different direction.
I just can't do that.

Speaker 3 (44:22):
Well. I think what you should do is get down
by twenty. And when you get down by twenty, that's
when you play your best basketball.

Speaker 2 (44:28):
Yeah. I don't want to have to count on that.
That's for damn sure.

Speaker 3 (44:31):
That three time times three times.

Speaker 2 (44:34):
I just think it's great. Now, Halliburton, they putting the
choke sign. Now you know what I mean. Notice not nobody, nobody,
notice not nobody on the Knicks made the choke side.
We won, you know, classy, you know what I mean.
Unlike the Pacers with the choke Sigdne and all that.
And I still can't get over the double dribble like
how they got away with that. That's that just blasphemy

(44:56):
that the referees horrible job, horrible at their job to
let that get away.

Speaker 3 (45:02):
So let me get this right. The guy who's saying
that if he was there, he'd be punching people in
the face.

Speaker 4 (45:08):
And elbow, not punching him in the face, elbowing them
out right right right, okay, elbowing in the throat.

Speaker 3 (45:13):
You're the one that's giving lessons on winning classy.

Speaker 2 (45:16):
Yeah, yeah, pretty much. To do the choke sign, there'd
be punched. If I was on the other team, There'd
be punch a stone if you did that to me.

Speaker 3 (45:25):
Uh, anything else from the one oh six, one hundred
win for your Knicks tonight.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
Like I said, we had to not only win the game,
steal the game, make the hurt from the game. That's
what's going on. I'm curious to see, uh Nate Smith,
how is he banged up? Is it gonna stiffing up
after the game? Is he gonna be hurting for the
next game. You only get one day rest then they're

(45:52):
back at it. So it didn't seem like it was
hindering him, But who knows after a couple of days,
especially if for a time. So I wonder if that's
going to be a problem. I'm wondering if the Knicks
are going to stick with that new starting line up.
I assume they probably will though, because they got to win.
Though they were down by twenty in the first half,
so maybe they don't. They got to get the other

(46:15):
guys into the game a little bit more. Everybody who
came into the game score, so that was important, I thought, right,
And Shamman did a good job. So let's see what
he does. He saved his job with this Wednesday, no
doubt about it.

Speaker 3 (46:27):
I just I love the emotional swings that you have here.
It went from we're doomed, we saw Karl, Anthony Towns
is terrible, Phibbs is going to be fired, get him
out of here, to a rally in the fourth quarter
where oh, we're gonna win the title, Anthony Towns is
the greatest ever and Phibbs gets a lifetime.

Speaker 2 (46:44):
I was already taking who we're gonna get? Can we
get Yannis? And can we get Luca too? And can
we go SGA? Right New York?

Speaker 4 (46:54):
Right?

Speaker 5 (46:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (46:55):
Question about some of the great sports wounds has brought
up some fascinating on Twitter, because everyone has a sports wound,
right your game one wound. Maybe heals a little bit tonight,
but we'll see if that changes in Game four tomorrow night.
Paul Wrights, My wound is every Bills playoff game since
nineteen ninety.

Speaker 2 (47:15):
That's the one with the across the field of the
kickoff of the Music City Maria Music City miracle Man,
Frank Watchack. That was that was not behind the line
they got ripped off off? Yeah, I don't understand that.

Speaker 3 (47:30):
Griddles Week Blackout adds thirty five to three thirty five
to blankety blanket three Oilers bills, nineteen ninety three, Watching
with my dad, Watching with my dad, Mister nobody. I
like this because they're so random. UNLV losing to Duke
in the National title game. Oh I remember that, right?

Speaker 5 (47:49):
That was?

Speaker 3 (47:49):
That was after they won it in ninety and then
they got smoked in ninety one. And wasn't that the
Final four? I think that was the final four title game?

Speaker 2 (47:57):
What was the one in football US see No Trade
Dame where I believe USC was down like thirty one
to three at a half time or something like that,
and they came out and just flew the doors off
them in the second half. Do you remember which one
I'm talking about?

Speaker 3 (48:12):
USC? Ex this during the Pete Carroll era.

Speaker 2 (48:14):
I think it might have been doing you don't like
the OJ era or something.

Speaker 3 (48:17):
Oh, come on, dudey kid me, I was in diapers
during that time. Might not even yet.

Speaker 2 (48:22):
I wasn't around the world.

Speaker 4 (48:23):
November thirtieth, nineteen seventy four, Anthony Davis Seventeen.

Speaker 3 (48:28):
Minutes that shook LA is what Sports Illustrated called the game.

Speaker 4 (48:31):
They were down twenty four nothing just before halftime, twenty
four to six at the break, and John McKay's halftime
speech was simply, gentlemen, we're behind. And they wound up
winning fifty five twenty four against Notre Dame. And this
is the era seventy two to seventy four where whoever
won that game won the national title.

Speaker 2 (48:50):
And then also that brings up the if you're gonna
bring up LA one, the Sega, the miracle on Manchester,
right with the Kings of Edmonton that down five.

Speaker 4 (48:59):
Nothing in the third in the third, Yeah, this is
obviously well before Gretzky became a king.

Speaker 2 (49:04):
Yeah, exactly exactly.

Speaker 3 (49:06):
That's that's a long time ago. And I really like
the Sega. How you were able to decipher that as
quickly as you were with the little information that Arnie gave.

Speaker 2 (49:16):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that.

Speaker 3 (49:18):
One, you know that one time, that one comeback. Uh.
He also adds the Florida State getting boat raced in
the nineteen ninety six Sugar Bowl, the Tuck Roll game
in the two thousand and three Super Bowl where the
Raiders got smacked because Barrett Robbins went off the reservation.

Speaker 4 (49:35):
I'm sure that was not the only reason. Yeah, they
got killed in that game exactly. Maybe not changing your
offensive play calls when you're coaches now coaching the other teams.

Speaker 3 (49:47):
The two thousand and nine Bounty Gade Game aka the
NFC Championship Game, Well, I would think there'd be a
lot of Eric's vikings fans. I would imagine it'd be
a lot of them for him. I guess misery loves
company in those time types of moments, right.

Speaker 2 (50:01):
Well, they had a couple of bad losses to the
Chargers in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (50:06):
Was that one of them?

Speaker 4 (50:07):
We were we really well, there's the game with Dan Founts. Yeah,
Kellen Winslow junior, Yeah, I'm senior. Sorry, sorry, the one
that was actually a Hall of Fame football player, the
one who was, from everything we know, pretty normal human being,
not junior. Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 3 (50:22):
Okay, a couple more tweets than anything, uh anything on
heartbreak disager that we need to add that ripture soul
out in the sports sense.

Speaker 4 (50:30):
Well, the first two things I thought of immediately eighties
Jack Clark over the Dodgers too, Oh yeah, and.

Speaker 3 (50:36):
I was and think about I was. I was in
Saint Louis and I was a Dodgers fan, and I
was in I don't know whatever grade it was, and
we would get to go to the movie room. We
used to have these things called projectors, and there would
be a room where you go watch movies, and they
let us watch the World Series and the Dodgers are
just getting smoked. So it's yeah, that dad just opened
up a childhood wound. I think I might need therapy that.

Speaker 4 (50:58):
On mid eighties Jack Clark Game six at Dodger Stadium.
But also the year before the Patriots had the undefeated season,
they were actually not the top seed in the AFC playoffs.
The year before the Chargers were. The Chargers had been
undefeated at home for the season and the one seed
and fourteen and two and got to host the Patriots

(51:20):
and led Tom Brady with five minutes left twenty one
to thirteen. In fact, intercepted Brady in the fourth quarter,
and the guy who intercepted it decided to try and
return it and fumbled it back to New England, and
the Patriots in the last five minutes got a touchdown
and field goal to win.

Speaker 3 (51:37):
Break break, Baby, You're not alone from game one, Arnie Spaniel.

Speaker 2 (51:41):
You're not alone that that was about the worst you
could do, though. That's because you had a ninety nine
point seven percent of winning.

Speaker 4 (51:48):
That win probability. That's like science, Chris sci exactly.

Speaker 3 (51:53):
My man Blake hit me up on the Super Secret
Line and said the two thousand and three Marlins Bartman
game was not his fault, but still devastating.

Speaker 4 (52:01):
Oh yeah, And it wasn't just that game either. The
series continued and it just got worse.

Speaker 5 (52:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (52:07):
That and the Bill Buckner through the Legs.

Speaker 3 (52:11):
Eighty eight thing.

Speaker 4 (52:12):
That wasn't that last game, but.

Speaker 2 (52:14):
That was, yeah, because then there was a Game seven.
But that's that affected lives, you know what I mean?
That just destroyed lives. Those series, those games was incredible.

Speaker 3 (52:24):
Yeah, And you know, it's one of those things too,
where everybody, everybody tried to make it seem as if
it was some sort of bounce back slash, a rejuvenation
story whenever the Red Sox actually won it, and you're like, no,
it's it's not. He had to live the hell of
you people destroying him from that moment.

Speaker 2 (52:47):
It was so tired.

Speaker 4 (52:48):
When David Ortiz came around.

Speaker 3 (52:50):
Exactly all right, a couple of other tweets, we want
to get to here at Stinking Genius wanted playing show.
I thought this was a pretty good question, pretty good
point that was brought up by Paul, because I do
think there's something that needs to be taken into consideration here.
Army and you, Armie and you said the way the
way the game was called, And Paul writes, David Stern

(53:13):
may have passed, but his spirit lives as the NBA
does everything to make sure this series goes seven games. Now,
you've been open where you felt like the Knicks were
getting a little bit of an unfair whistle. But then
you just said you want Scott Foster to officiate every
single game. Show me, explained, show me your work on that.

(53:36):
I don't you know.

Speaker 2 (53:37):
They put out it just they called it the extender.
Whenever it's a joke that whatever they want series extended,
they bring out Scott Foster. The thing I meant about
the Knicks not getting the calls, though, is just that
like that call with Halliburton and Towns where they took
away the falcons. Halliburton, it said it was more incidental contact.

(54:00):
It's a matter of judgment there. I could have said, no,
it's still still contact. That's a foul. I I don't
and they gave it to Towns, and now that affected
the whole game out there. But as for the referring,
at this point, I'm kind of used to them letting
them get away with it, letting them be physical. I'm
okay with it because otherwise there'd be a lot of

(54:20):
people in foul trouble and they'd be on the bench
most of the game. So they really have to let
them get away with stuff like that. I know there's
crying on both sides, sure well, I know Towns looks
like he's crying all the time, but really, the Pacers,
I mean, they don't even commit a foul. Every time
they one foul goes up, and you know, Carlisle challenge, challenge, No,

(54:45):
you you only get two, dude, you get one, and
if you get that, you get it back.

Speaker 4 (54:50):
What Towns with waving his index finger all the time
for it to all the time for the announcers almost
start laughing like a they don't have a challenge. B
you traveled. It wasn't a felt.

Speaker 2 (55:03):
Oh my god, towns did not trap. They called me absolutely.

Speaker 3 (55:09):
Done.

Speaker 2 (55:10):
Never came down the third step, never did.

Speaker 4 (55:13):
Third never came down. He's still in the air as
we speak.

Speaker 2 (55:18):
He just bounced on the second start.

Speaker 3 (55:21):
The fact that he tried to get his coach to
review one of the most blatantly obvious travels we've ever
seen is hilarious. Two other quick.

Speaker 4 (55:30):
Tweets like Joe Frasier against George Foreman.

Speaker 3 (55:34):
Wow, fimmy rights, Arnie, you wanted to fire Thibodeau. The
Knicks were the worst team in the NBA before you
got him. The Wolves shouldn't have ever let him go.
And then Eddie nature Boy writes, a happy stinking genius
is a boring stinking genius rang on the Pacers landslide.

Speaker 2 (55:54):
No, that's not gonna happen the Knicks. The Knicks will
take the next game this series. He's going to be
even a two games apiece. Nicks may take this in
six when it's done.

Speaker 4 (56:04):
Well, we even started tonight show, did we not? The
man got a great vacation and wasn't even happy about that.

Speaker 3 (56:09):
Yeah, exactly, he was complaining he tried to get arrested
whenever he was overseas.

Speaker 2 (56:13):
I did drink a lot for the first time, boozer,
but I did. I did booze it up a lot
because it was free, you know what I mean? Right,
made him put extra alcohol in it because they try
to rip you off on that.

Speaker 4 (56:24):
You didn't do the Bobby Knight and punch a policeman. No,
do our country proud?

Speaker 2 (56:28):
No, But this guy wanted me. We were arguing over
six dollars and ninety seven cents and I wasn't going
to pay him. I was going to make him have
me arrested. And then I'm like, I don't know, I'm
into Dominican. Do I really want to get into the American?
Six ninety seven American? Is the argument? Yeah, that's what
it was. But he said I didn't go through on
my debit card, and I showed him that it did,

(56:50):
but he still wanted money for it, and I gave
him five hundred pay I'm like, all right, yeah, I
don't want to see what I said, but I gave
him five hundred pay seals.

Speaker 4 (56:58):
For imagine America get a reputation.

Speaker 3 (57:03):
Day. How does that happen.

Speaker 2 (57:04):
Don't know, don't know what happens?

Speaker 3 (57:06):
All right, when we come back to the track dot
Com studios, our man Todd Furman breaks down all the numbers.
Next right here on Fox Sports Radio. All right, it's
Arny and playing in Roddy running the show with Mary
mac The Segar has got an update coming up in
about ten minutes from now, But first we get to
hang out with our buddy Todd Firman to Bet the
Board podcast. All right, As you might imagine, Todd, the

(57:29):
Knicks are back. They're gonna win the whole thing. What
was your takeaway from the bounce back and solid performance
and out against the Pacers?

Speaker 8 (57:36):
You know, pretty impressive. They showed a tremendous amount of
resolve after going down twenty, knowing their season was hanging
the balance and being able to do so with Karl
Anthony Towns in fall trouble for extended stretches and the
majority of that fourth quarter rally coming with Jalen Brunton
on the bench to see Kato for twenty when it
mattered most is something that we haven't seen from this
Nick to seam a ton, but like we've seen from

(57:57):
them so far, this postseason, doesn't matter how big the
deficit is. They're very comfortable trying to erase twenty point
margins and did so again tonight with a chance to
even off the series in Game four on Tuesday night
against the Pacers.

Speaker 2 (58:09):
You know, Todd I said this that not only if
the Knicks would have won like Minnesota one, where they
won by forty, I really don't think it would have
had a big effect on the Pacers. They just said, Okay,
everything with the Knicks way, nothing went our way. We
lost by forty, blah blah blah, let's get ready for
the next game. We'll just sit out most of the
second half. But the fact that the Knicks stole from

(58:29):
them and made him pay and made him feel the
pain that the Knicks felt in Game one, now I
feel that it puts a little bit of doubt of
their mind on the line still two and a half
for the next game in favor Pacers favored by two
and a half.

Speaker 8 (58:43):
Yeah, and the number actually kicked up. We saw the
margin for today's Game three and a de facto must
win situation, albeit on the road for the Knicks, that
closed with Indiana just a one point favorite, And you
saw a very real professional money coming on the Knicks.
Up until tip off, it didn't look like it was
going to get home. I mean even at halftime, he
had an opportunity to the Knicks at essentially a plus
eleven and a half price tag for an adjusted in

(59:04):
game number. I mean they were as much as four
to one at one point in the third quarter to
come back and win that game out right. They were
able to do so, and now you're looking at a
much more accurate reflection of where these two teams power rate.
You know, once you start to factor in a little
bit of home court and everything else. So it sets
up for what should be a fascinating game for Can
the Knicks carry over some of that momentum that you
alluded to, Arnie, or will the Pacers show resolve and

(59:26):
bounce back? Because you do wonder this time of year
if you're better off getting blown out or you're better
off playing a tight game just having things get away.
But every team gets tested this time of year, especially
in the conference finals, and I'm very curious to see
which coach makes the better adjustments. And I don't even
think we have to see the game and know that
it'll be Rick Carlisle. So it'll be up to the
Knicks players to.

Speaker 1 (59:45):
Try me able to bridge that gap.

Speaker 2 (59:46):
What is what's the odds right now for the Knicks
to come back and win this series four to one,
three to one, four to one or no, no.

Speaker 8 (59:53):
Nowhere close to that. They're right now right around plus
a dollar eighty kind of the going rate. Learn that
in this series. If you thought they could have raised
a two nothing series deficit, knowing that they were working
in an O two hole going on the road, then
you could have had a price tag around three and
a half four to one. But nixt win in Game
four would give them home court advantage in the de
facto best of three, So that's part of the reason

(01:00:14):
the number is as short as it is. So folks
out there still like the Pacers for the series. The
better way for them to potentially be able to attack
it might be to back the Pacers on the money
line in Game four, lose that, then come over the
top of the Pacers slight underdogs in the best of seven.

Speaker 3 (01:00:29):
I like the strategy. That strategy, Arnie. It's not just
going with your gut in your heart. It's actually having
a plan. You might think about it every Now, I
had the Knicks tonight. Look how that turned out? Well,
you had them in every game they played. I mean yeah,
so let me shift this scene here. Oklahoma City has
only lost by double digit game, double digit points five

(01:00:49):
times this year, and they got smoked house destroyed? Is
that a sign of the Tea Wolves turning things around?
A one hit wonder? What's your mind? What's your gut
telling you about this series? Now? In the West.

Speaker 8 (01:01:00):
I think it's kind of what we've seen a lot
of times in the NBA playoffs, the team coming home
down oh two, you know, their seasons hanging in the balance,
and you get their best shot. And it looked right
from the opening tip off that Oklahoma City wasn't able
to match that Timberwolves intensity, and it just kind of
continued to snowball. You know, we see she Gilles Alexander
fail to get to the fifteen point threshold, Anthony Edwards
goes absolutely nuclear from beyond the arc. But there's a

(01:01:22):
reason that OKC is still a robust minus nine to
fifty favorite, meaning you have to put up nine dollars
and fifty cents just to make a dollar coming back
for them to win the series, and a three point
favorite in Game four. In my opinion, it's Oka see
or pass. I will make the claim, though, if Oklahoma
City were to drop Game four and send that series
back to your neck of the woods playing get tied

(01:01:42):
up too too, that the Timberwolves had have a tremendous
amount of momentum. So for all intents and purposes, in
my opinion, I think Game four is the series, and
I really expect this OKAC team that's had some uneven
performances away from home to play more buttoned up and
put together some of their best forty eight minutes of
road basketball. Though we've so far this playoff Todd.

Speaker 2 (01:02:01):
You get in the influx of some WNBA betting, I mean,
are people now that that's starting to hit with the
whole Caitlin Clark there, Are you getting more money on
that or what?

Speaker 8 (01:02:10):
It definitely has grown in popularity. Where the WNBA was
kind of an afterthought for a long time in the
betting community, you have it gaining more and more of
a mainstream appeal, you know. Unfortunately, it didn't talk to
any bookmakers to see what the handle looked like for
the marquee game of the weekend with the Liberty just
sneaking by the Fever in that ninety to eighty eight
game that had a ton of swings and was a

(01:02:31):
hell of a lot of fun to try and watch.
But you look at the dynamics and play. The one
thing that is consistent is that Kaitlin Clark draws the
eyeballs not just for the casual fan, but also at
the betting window. And there are plenty of book makers
both far and wide that'll be rooting against the Fever
to win the WNBA Championship and would prefer that anybody
other than Kaitlin Clark was ultimately named league MVP.

Speaker 3 (01:02:51):
Yeah, I mean absolutely any any drama you find in
any juice. Now. I like what Edmonton did tonight to
show a little live, but I take that series about
two games to one of that series, what's a three zip?
I mean, poor Carolina, they can't get a break or
win a game you get. You see much action in
the playoffs right now for hockey, not as.

Speaker 8 (01:03:12):
Much as the series kind of wind down a little bit,
it'd be all one way traffic. For tomorrow night's game
is Florida look to kind of close out the Panthers
in a sweep Carolina a fifteen game losing streak in
the conference finals, and Rod Brindamore is pretty skating comments
about his veterans needing to do more in that Game
three loss rather disappointing. So I don't know what kind
of fight resolve you'll see from Carolina. I have to

(01:03:32):
imagine that Florida, with the killer instinct, will go out
there and try and do everything they can to end
this sooner rather than later. And you mentioned the series
that we saw earlier today. I mean Edmonton caved in
for long stretches of that second period, but when you
have the best player in the world on your roster,
he gets the goal that changes the momentum, stems the tide.
Edmonton takes a three to one lead in the second
in their mission and then are able to pile things

(01:03:53):
on in the third period. I mean, other than the
second today and roughly a seven minute stretch where Dallas
was able to capitalize the three power play goals in
Game one, I mean, Edmonton has really looked like the
dominant force and it seems as though we're going to
get a rematch of last year Stanley Cup Final. And
I'm sure this is what Edmonton has that circled on
the calendar, an opportunity to get back what they felt
slipped through their fingers last year. And even if you're

(01:04:15):
just a casual observer without any skin in the game,
I mean, you'll get to see a true contrast and
styles between Edmonton and Florida. If that's the Stanley Cup
Final we get, and I think it'll be worth its
weight and goal from an entertainment value standpoint.

Speaker 3 (01:04:26):
So follow up on that real quick, and the Kings
had him. The Kings had they that.

Speaker 8 (01:04:33):
It's always the interesting part, more so in the NHL
than maybe any other postseason, that the first round oftentimes
for teams can be more pressure packed while they look
to try and get their sea legs, knowing how long
term injured reserve works and being able to get players
back in the lineup. I mean, Edmonton looked like a
shell as a team we're currently seeing, dropping the first
two games in LA and being down two goals in

(01:04:54):
Game three, and it was the ill time challenge from
coach Chiller that allowed the Oilers to even that thing up.
They end up rattling off four straight in the opening
round take care of the Golden Knights, winning four or
five there and have looked like a little bit of
a runaway freight train despite only having a two to
one series lead. Right now, they look like they have
a level that they can get to that Dallas is
going to be hard pressed to match unless Jake Ottinger

(01:05:15):
steals a couple of games here.

Speaker 2 (01:05:17):
By the way, todd By parlay Knicks to win game four,
to Knicks to win Game five, to Knicks to win
game six. Can I do that?

Speaker 3 (01:05:26):
Or what I mean?

Speaker 8 (01:05:27):
You could have had that opportunity to bet the Knicks
to win this series in six games if you thought
they were going to rattle off game three, four, five,
and six all in quick succession. I don't know exactly
what that number was, but should have paid you right
around eight or ten to one. I'm not sure it's
as lofty as some of the numbers you're looking for, Ernie,
but we'll see if the Knicks are able to get
things done. This is a Pacers team that has a

(01:05:48):
lot of offensive weapons, and like I said, I have
a lot more confidence in Rick Carlisle being able to
make some of those important adjustments than I know coach
than I do in coach tips.

Speaker 2 (01:05:56):
By the way, take my Arizona Wildcats, as we kick
a little booty in baseball, just won the Big twelve Championship.

Speaker 8 (01:06:04):
You know I was gonna ask. I mean, you know,
you look at some of the projections for the road
to Omaha, and it looks like Arizona could be a
two seed. We'll see if they end up staying on
the West coast, maybe matched up against a former conference
rival in the UCLA Bruins. But always interesting to see
the field of sixty four unveiled. You know, college baseball
lends itself to a lot of upsets, and when you

(01:06:25):
look at the sec level of dominance in terms of
the sixteen protected seeds, no surprise to anybody that they
may end up representing more than half the Elite eight,
so to speak, that we see get to the College
World Series in a couple of short weeks.

Speaker 3 (01:06:37):
Love it, have a great week, Todd. We appreciate your
time as always, man, always.

Speaker 8 (01:06:41):
A pleasure, gentlemen, enjoy what remains of the holiday weekend.

Speaker 2 (01:06:43):
Thanks tons too.

Speaker 3 (01:06:44):
My friends, got about forty eight hours out. It's raining
NonStop here. In fact, I told I told Mary mc
andean we're on about our third thunderstorm, warning of the
of the day. So if I get knocked out here,
my bad. But I'm sitting around watching it. Ain't watching
it rain all day tomorrow Memorial Day. But you know
who'll be up, vibein and enjoin it all with the

(01:07:06):
with the the sun. What's it called the down split
it out? Well, it's just saga. Here he comes. I
was gonna say he was rolling in his five point
zero with his rack top down so his hair could flow.

Speaker 4 (01:07:19):
Sorry, I live in LA When I hear five point
l I said the earthquake was that much, I did
ever feel it. By the way, the full baseball field,
the sixty four teams, the top sixteen national seeds, the
first round regional pairings, all the side assignments will be
official tomorrow. I do not see Tucson on the list.

Speaker 2 (01:07:36):
Just for the record of no, I know they should
have been. They should have hosted. We got ripped off.
We got ripped.

Speaker 4 (01:07:41):
UCLA's hosting Oregon and Oregon State. Arnie's watched a half
of an inning of college baseball.

Speaker 2 (01:07:48):
Suddenly, it's funny you said that, because yesterday I'm like,
I'm gonna sit down, I'm gonna watch the met game
against the Dodgers on one TV, my Wildcats in the
Big twelve Championship of the other TV, and the game
before it went late and by the time they got
done in thirteen innings, they went to the Arizona game
in the eighth inning is when I got to join there,

(01:08:09):
like this is such crass.

Speaker 4 (01:08:10):
A hie from that, Everything's fine by the way. UCLA
softball advanced to the College World Series today. What a
comeback this weekend. They'll be opening against Oregon on Thursday.
Old Miss opens Thursday against Texas Tech. But UCLA stayed
alive yesterday, scoring four runs in the bottom of the
seventh got a walk off homer at South Carolina. They
were down to their last out of the season and

(01:08:32):
it completed a four run rally. Tennessee also advanced today.
It'll face number two Oklahoma on Thursday in Oklahoma City.
Sooners have advanced to the College World Series for a
ninth straight time, and Thursday it's Texas against Florida. As
for the Knicks, they were down twenty at the Pacers
tonight late second quarter. Nixt took the lead with eight
minutes to go and won the game one oh six

(01:08:53):
to one hundred. Indiana's lead in the Eastern Conference Finals
now two games to one, Game four at Indiana on Tuesday.
Pacers from three point range tonight five for twenty five
the Knicks on free throws in this close win. Twenty
seven of thirty. Pacers had won in the second round
four games to one against the top seed Cleveland, and
they were this close to going up three games to

(01:09:15):
none to what a choke too?

Speaker 2 (01:09:17):
Nobody's saying that about their loss. It wasn't joke. How
about Charles Parker? Did you see what I said?

Speaker 3 (01:09:21):
You bikey Listen, you guys were up fifteen with two
and a half minutes to go. You can't compare what
happened when they were up twenty in the first half
to being up.

Speaker 4 (01:09:34):
Fifteen with that was bark in Arizona choke against ill.

Speaker 2 (01:09:38):
A, Wow, it did. But park are you opening up
his mouth going well, his game's over is oh right?

Speaker 3 (01:09:43):
Yea, just like you did on Twitter.

Speaker 2 (01:09:47):
That wasn't me.

Speaker 4 (01:09:48):
Oklahoma City, by the way, leads the West Finals two
games to one. They're Game four at Minnesota Is on
Monday night. The NBA Finals start June the fifth. With that,
which actually isn't that far away. And that we had
NHL player action today at Edmonton, Oilers were up to
one on Dallas late second period, six to one the final.
So the Oilers now do lead the West Final two

(01:10:09):
games to one, with Game four in Edmonton on Tuesday.
The NHL's East Final, Game four is on Monday, the Holiday.
Florida up three games to none, hosting Carolina. Alex Poulot
took the Indy five hundred tonight in Charlotte, NASCAR six
hundred to Ross Chastain, who'd started in last place. Fortieth.
Tennis's French Open began today and the retired Raphael and

(01:10:30):
Nadal was honored. He'd won the title there at Roll
on Garris fourteen times after all. American Ben Shelton won
his first rounder in five sets, finished after midnight there.
Carlos Alcarez had taken the Italian Open tune up last weekend,
sweeping number one Yonick Center of Italy. He's beaten him
four straight times. The women's number one was in action today,
winning her first rounder easily. Arena Sablenca. The baseball, the

(01:10:54):
Mets did beat the Dodgers in New York tonight three
to one. LA committed four errors Yankees won five four
at Colorado. The Rockies record now nine and forty four,
and the A's, with two runs bottom of the eighth
beat the Phillies five to four, Mason Miller to save
the a snap and eleven game losing streak. The Phillies
had won nine in a row, including a late night
when last night the Phillies our first place in the

(01:11:17):
NL East, but now just two games over the Mets.

Speaker 2 (01:11:20):
Back to you, by the way, did you guys notice
I pretty much gave the exact score of the game
on Twitter. You put one six, I said, und I said,
one eleven one five.

Speaker 4 (01:11:32):
That's almost the exact score. That's close to the exact
score at the game.

Speaker 1 (01:11:36):
What is wrong with it?

Speaker 4 (01:11:37):
It's the margin. It's not the score.

Speaker 3 (01:11:39):
Yeah, way to go. You got the margin r D
pretty big time.

Speaker 2 (01:11:42):
Wait a minute, one eleven one oh five is pretty
much the same as one o six one hundred.

Speaker 3 (01:11:48):
Yeah. It was awesome, man, great job, dude. Yeah you
should you know what you should be on the gambling shows.
I've told you I should have the gambling shows. I
have to read this promo about the uh the Great
pregame Show. It should say Arnie Spanier.

Speaker 2 (01:12:02):
Absolutely don't get it.

Speaker 3 (01:12:05):
No, all right, it's Arnie playing comany live for the
Fox Sports Radio studios. By the way, Arnie, your a
baseball excitement and your interest. Did you hear what Todd
said where they got them projected to go? Right?

Speaker 2 (01:12:17):
I think it's gonna be to Eugene, Oregon, to be
honest with you, not UCLA.

Speaker 3 (01:12:22):
I have seen zero projections of them going to Eugene.

Speaker 2 (01:12:24):
I'm pretty sure they're gonna go to Eugene.

Speaker 3 (01:12:26):
Why is that?

Speaker 2 (01:12:27):
I'm just that's where I think though, one of the
matter of fact, that all the projections say they're going
to go to Eugene.

Speaker 3 (01:12:32):
I'm looking at Baseball America right now to go to
Los Angeles Calvity. That is the only one.

Speaker 2 (01:12:37):
I would love for them to go to.

Speaker 5 (01:12:38):
LA.

Speaker 2 (01:12:39):
I don't want them to be in the same one
as Great Canyon, who beat us like five times this year.

Speaker 3 (01:12:44):
So yeah, they got us going to North Carolina and
most of them right now, so we shall see.

Speaker 4 (01:12:48):
Them all regionals next weekend in college baseball.

Speaker 3 (01:12:51):
That's right, And the selection show is Steve brought up
is Manyana that's tomorrow Monday. Kind of unique. I don't
know why because they played some of the championship games
on softball. Doesn't normally do that in college basketball. Even
we've gone away from having a ton of games on
Selection Sunday. So they get to day where it's just
college baseball and their selection show and Arizona is in

(01:13:13):
is a two seat somewhere and they won the Big
Twelve in front of friends and family. They gonna move
that thing. Did you see the crowds?

Speaker 2 (01:13:20):
Yeah, they are going to move it. Not sure how
that's going to affect the crowds.

Speaker 3 (01:13:24):
But I mean, all you've done is send me all
this paraphernalia in this propaganda on the Big Twelve. I
figured you had something great about the greatness of them.

Speaker 4 (01:13:32):
We're just saying the crowd was kind of like the
UFL crowd after the three hour weather delay yesterday at Memphis.

Speaker 3 (01:13:38):
It was so bad. It was so bad that because
he was friends and family only, I believe.

Speaker 5 (01:13:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:13:43):
Well, and then they put the Big Twelve Baseball tournament
in a in a pro stadium. They put it in Arlington.
They put it in the right of the Rangers, so
you could sit in the first baseline and have a
conversation with the guy over on the third baseline, it's like,
all nay, come over here. So you're saying to stop.

Speaker 2 (01:14:00):
Twelve team is hosting it is hosting a SCRAs year,
which is insanely stupid.

Speaker 4 (01:14:05):
Well some former Big twelve teams or two, but yeah, yeah, no,
it's not insanely stupid.

Speaker 3 (01:14:10):
You just stink as a baseball league.

Speaker 2 (01:14:11):
This year we had eight We had eight teams in
the I think eight teams will go in the tournament.

Speaker 3 (01:14:16):
There you go, how much baseball did you actually watch
this year? Where you want to talk mister expert like this.

Speaker 2 (01:14:21):
Would listen to a lot of Arizona games on the
radio because I was so into them this year.

Speaker 4 (01:14:25):
Apparently there are eight sites from the secrap.

Speaker 2 (01:14:30):
No, I'm serious, one hundred per serious name.

Speaker 3 (01:14:33):
You want to play this game?

Speaker 2 (01:14:35):
I know the whole lineup. I'm not kidding around. I
know the whole lineup.

Speaker 3 (01:14:39):
And how that our best player got hurt and uh
you know, well Summer Hill was h was heard for.

Speaker 2 (01:14:46):
Like about a month and a half. And Mason White's
a stud man, that guy. He went six for seven
and two games. It's just he's just unbelievable. We have
our first six.

Speaker 3 (01:14:58):
There's a chance you've goog this up, but I'll allow it.

Speaker 2 (01:15:02):
The first six players are good. Our last three hitters
not that good though. One of them is the one
that hit the a solo on the run Golffield or
Coldfield hit the home run plus.

Speaker 3 (01:15:14):
Yeah. Listen, Okay, we're losing more people than when we
try to talk. All right, all right, my bad?

Speaker 2 (01:15:19):
Yeah, anyway, I wait, I have watching the Selection show.
Tomorrow's with them.

Speaker 3 (01:15:22):
Right there you go. Hey, when we come back, let's
get your tweets rolling in next on Fox Sports Radio.
Here he comes. Steve de seger is in the house
to help us put a wrap on our number two already. Wow,
what's going on, Steve.

Speaker 4 (01:15:36):
The Cubs had quite a comeback win today at Cincinnati,
down eight three after five innings, eleven to eight was
the final Sea Suzuki the go ahead three run homer
in the eighth. But the Chicago Cubs already in the
first couple months of the season, they've scored at least
ten runs in a game twelve different times.

Speaker 1 (01:15:53):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (01:15:53):
For the Cubs franchise, that's their most such performances early
season since the eighteen hundreds. Timore actually won a game
last night to split a doubleheader at Boston and then
beat the Red Sox again today five to one. So
here the Orioles had been sixteen and thirty four this year,
and now they've won their last two. Walker Buehler took
the loss today. Alex Bregman of Boston is on the

(01:16:14):
injured list, by the way, with what was called a
significant quad entry. Pittsburgh lost at home, but the Pirates
O'Neil Cruz today hit a home run measured at how
many miles per hour off the bat nearly one hundred
and twenty three miles per hour off the bat, the
hardest hit ball in the ten years they've been using
statcasts to measure such things. But the Pirates gave up

(01:16:36):
three runs in the eighth and lost at home sixty
five to Milwaukee. So Pittsburgh's record is nineteen and thirty five.
White Sox were leading going to the ninth, but lost
at home five to four to Texas, so the White
Sox record now seventeen and thirty six. Saint Louis handed
Arizona a fifth straight loss today, four to three. Cardinals,
with a great home record so far nineteen and eight

(01:16:58):
at Minnesota, though Kansas City ten innings two to one
over the Twins. Twins offense was three for thirty one
with twelve strikeouts. At Houston, a home run in the
bottom of the ninth beat Seattle five to three. Christian
Walker the hero. He had three hits, three RBIs Tampa
Bay playing in the spring training stadium. They won five
in a row this past week, beat Toronto thirteen nothing.

(01:17:19):
Today it was Detroit five nothing over Cleveland and what
an outing on the mound For last year Cy Young
winner Trek Scooble five and two. This year he pitched
all nine innings ninety four pitches is all, a two
hit shutout, thirteen strikeouts, no walks. The Tigers at home
are eighteen and eight. Jose Ramirez of the Guardians does

(01:17:40):
now have an eighteen game?

Speaker 2 (01:17:41):
How many complete games do we have in the in baseball?

Speaker 5 (01:17:44):
Now?

Speaker 2 (01:17:44):
I'll say one, that's it.

Speaker 6 (01:17:46):
That was it.

Speaker 2 (01:17:48):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (01:17:49):
Major League Baseball, let's just say, doesn't have a lot
of complete games.

Speaker 2 (01:17:53):
Not like the year when the Ages would believe Martin
had would like over one hundred.

Speaker 4 (01:17:58):
Yeah. Seemingly every pitcher in the wh they're having shorty, Yeah, exactly, Yeah,
I'll have to I believe me. I will look that
up and find that. But that's just if a starter
even goes beyond the sixth inning, it's news at this
point in Major League Baseball. San Francisco starter today Robbie
Ray got the win. He's seven and oh after a

(01:18:19):
three to two win at Washington, seven strikeouts in his
six innings. The Padres have had a very bad week
but got a win and a comeback at Atlanta five
to three. Padres had been down three to one after
five innings, but then they homered in the sixth, homered
in the seventh, homered in the eighth, and it'll be
finally Padres Dodgers in a couple of weeks. There haven't
been a lot of inter NL West games, so yes,

(01:18:42):
it's a strong division. But how do you explain Colorado's record.
They're not being killed by you know, Dodgers, Padres, Giet
teams that have been good for most of the year.
Yankees did play in Colorado this weekend, actually lost a
game a couple of days ago. But crazy five four
Yankees today and the Rockies. How many series have they
won this season?

Speaker 3 (01:19:02):
None?

Speaker 4 (01:19:03):
They're ozh to seventeen in series.

Speaker 2 (01:19:05):
So you could have bet a couple of games ago,
the Rockies plus four runs and still they were the
underdug at plus plus four runs. Yeah, yeah, they didn't cover.
They lost the eleven to three or so.

Speaker 4 (01:19:15):
They have a record of nine and forty four. They
have the worst Major League mark through this point of
a season since nineteen oh one. Wow, and today's starter,
Antonio Senzatela, is now one to nine already ERA six
point five. Oh and they'll be facing the Mets the
next couple of weekends. Just for the record, this is
a team Colorado that started the season six and twenty five,

(01:19:36):
which was bad enough. They're even worse since they're three
and nineteen since then. The Spring Football League regular season
ends next weekend on Fox TV in the UFL. Today,
Houston won twenty four to twenty one over DC, which
had been six and two. Attendance was six thousand in Houston,
which is apparently more than the Arizona baseball game yesterday

(01:19:57):
is ten thousand in Birmingham. The home team beat Michigan
on a late touchdown, each team six and three. We
do have the New York Knicks still alive. Realistically, in
the postseason, they were this close to being down free
in the Eastern Conference Finals. Karl Anthony Town scored twenty
in the fourth quarter and had eight rebounds. A very
rare playoff fourth quarter for him.

Speaker 3 (01:20:20):
Good stuff, Thanks Steve. Awesome as always when we come back.
By the way, I'm not gonna lie. I was kind
of impressed with the Arizona baseball knowledge. But this is
not a college baseball show.

Speaker 4 (01:20:31):
No it is.

Speaker 3 (01:20:32):
We're gonna fight, scratch and claw about the Knicks. Are
they back? And listen, there's one major topic we haven't
talked about tonight, and that is the National Football League.
What's the latest twist in Turn with Aaron Rodgers? It's
next from Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (01:20:46):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 3 (01:20:49):
Oh, let's roll onto the final hour, the Power Hour,
Power Hour. Gosh, so many things you get to. Arnie's
a renewed, rejuvenated Nick.

Speaker 2 (01:21:00):
I think I'm trying to think where I'm gonna go
next year on my vacation now that we got back
from the Megan So you don't even care to talk.
I'm trying to talk about the Nicks with you, and
you're already gonna make it about your vacation. Maybe maybe
turks and caicos or something. Like that. I don't know,
but something exotic, you know what I mean, something kind
of crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:21:17):
It sounds like you were at a pretty exotic place.

Speaker 2 (01:21:21):
It wasn't like five star or anything like that. It
was okay, it was nice, you know, it was cool,
had a good time.

Speaker 3 (01:21:28):
You went to a beach and you sat out and
you drank free booze.

Speaker 2 (01:21:32):
Yeah, yeah, that was that was the fun. Don't forget.
He got some burn and I did get sunburned. Yeah,
I did get sunburn.

Speaker 3 (01:21:37):
It was hot down there too, sweating like that's kind
of like what happens, aren't when you go to the
beach and stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:21:44):
Yeah, and he's like going through the jungle. I was like, oh,
my goodness, is so hot.

Speaker 1 (01:21:47):
I'm like sweating all that and you.

Speaker 2 (01:21:49):
Didn't even put on sunscreen, Like come on, I yeah,
I didn't think about that the first day. I didn't
think it was gonna get so burned, but I did,
so I started putting it on. But it was a
good time. I had a good time. Not gonna die
the zipline I'll never do again?

Speaker 3 (01:22:04):
Why not?

Speaker 2 (01:22:05):
I just don't You.

Speaker 3 (01:22:06):
Never explain that. You just said you weren't gonna do it,
but you never told.

Speaker 2 (01:22:09):
Us one because they never told me what to experience.
They never explained it to me. When I was going
down the first time the zipline, we had six of them,
and the first one was going I was going so
fast and I was heading for the tree stump or
whatever the hell was that was gonna stop you up.
And I'm like, I'm going too fast. I'm gonna be hurt,
seriously bad. Should I go with my legs open and

(01:22:32):
just have my crotch and just assuming the whole blow,
or should I turn sideways or I'm gonna die. It's
gonna be very painful. And then right before I got there,
I like went over something that had slowed me down,
so I wasn't quite ready for that. Didn't need to
do it six times. That was a little stressful. Then
fall into a pool, didn't time? Yeah, six different bridges

(01:22:55):
or whatever, six different Oh, and then I had to
cross the bridge. You know what, right, rickety old bridges?
It took me like twenty five minutes when it took
other people like ten minutes to cross.

Speaker 3 (01:23:08):
Why? What was wrong? What was wrong with you?

Speaker 2 (01:23:10):
It was just like the steps were too wide and
the bridge was shaking too much. And my wife was
behind me and I almost shook her off the bridge,
and nobody told me what to hold on to. It
was very, very stressful. I did. I go, I don't
need to do this. I don't need to do this anymore.

Speaker 7 (01:23:26):
You know.

Speaker 3 (01:23:27):
Well, I'm glad that you U.

Speaker 2 (01:23:29):
I'm glad you Yeah, I don't I'm not doing neither
of that again.

Speaker 1 (01:23:33):
They can go.

Speaker 2 (01:23:34):
The dune buggy thing was cool, but we really couldn't
go fast. We had to stay in a line. And
then they tried to sell us coffee at one of
the stops, and then, you know, it was kind of bogus.
I'm like, let us peel out and go crazy and
you know, stuff like that. And then we went swimming
in some lagoon. But it was it was a good
time overall. We had a good time and just relaxed
and had a good time. It was good to be

(01:23:55):
back in the States. Though.

Speaker 4 (01:23:56):
Well, I'm glad, I'm glad that you're back. We missed you.
We missed you, but you came back. You didn't get
thrown in jail by the airlines.

Speaker 2 (01:24:03):
I was flying back. I don't want to give their name.
I guess one of the stewardesses. Are they still stewardesses?
Has lost her little pocketbook or whatever. No big deal,
you know, you have credit cards, money, you just suck
it up. But it had her passports in there.

Speaker 3 (01:24:26):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:24:26):
Yeah, well they threatened that nobody's allowed off the plane.
They're going to get the marshals to come on the
plane search us all and search our bags before a
lot off. And I'm like, and I'll be in a
smart ass. I go, I demand to be strip searched.
I want to, I demanded nobody. I guess nobody thought
that was very funny, but you know it's not, you know,

(01:24:48):
because she may have to unless they had something on file,
she may have to fly back. They're not going to
let you in the United States without a passport. So
that was that was her mistake. And when we got
the plane landed, there was about four marshals there. Why
didn't Yeah, there were four marshals there, but they didn't
search us or anything like that.

Speaker 3 (01:25:07):
Oh yeah, that was you were You were concerned for
a moment, for a moment, Arnie Spaniard, Yeah, that there
was going to be full on cavity searches. Y'all were
in big tracks, right, I don't know what the hell.

Speaker 2 (01:25:21):
They were gonna do. I mean, look, I was gonna
empty my pockets and say I don't have this lady's purse.
You know, obviously she must have might have dropped before
she even got on the plane. I'm they never gave
us any answers about what happened or were if she
had it on the plane or anything like that. I
don't know what happened.

Speaker 3 (01:25:38):
I'm good on you, good on you. I'm glad you
didn't do anything wrong. Now, speaking of talking a lot
and not doing anything wrong, which I think is the
theme to this hour so far, Aaron Rodgers is talking
a lot, he's not doing anything wrong, but he's not
really doing much of anything period. Is this getting dragged

(01:25:58):
out to kind of a ridiculous point now, or like,
what's going on here?

Speaker 2 (01:26:03):
What's really tight?

Speaker 5 (01:26:04):
What? You know?

Speaker 2 (01:26:05):
The schedule came down at first, people said, well, he
doesn't want to sign because he doesn't want the NFL
to know, you know, to make him.

Speaker 3 (01:26:12):
All the primetime games, or something to that effect. I'm
not sure what's left.

Speaker 2 (01:26:17):
What is he waiting for? Is it a contract problem
or is there some he doesn't want to report The
camp right away so he could take the goo say
he's not part of the team. I'm really not sure
at this point why he hasn't signed it yet. I'm
not I don't know if there's some underlining circumstance that
I'm not thinking of Chris, But I really can't figure

(01:26:37):
it out.

Speaker 3 (01:26:38):
You know, I can't figure it out either. I mean,
is is it inevitable that he's going to be a Steeler?

Speaker 2 (01:26:43):
Well? He said, didn't he say that does? He was
doing some question and answering, and he goes, well, I
might be playing for a team that's playing in Chicago,
visit in Chicago, right, So everybody just assumed that was
going to be Pittsburgh, right, do you want to?

Speaker 3 (01:26:58):
I have that cut. It's it's not the greatest audio
that you've ever heard, But basically what happened is he
was he was at an event. It was I guess
it was like a rapper's event or something of that nature,
and some fan asked him, Hey, are you gonna ever
play for the Chicago Bears? And I thought it was

(01:27:18):
kind of funny because when when she asked it, she's
just some kid that's getting a chance to ask Aaron
Rodgers a question, and he's like, listen, they liked me
in Chicago a lot more than I like Chicago a
lot more than maybe Chicago likes me. Right, But here,
listen to it. You can tell me what you think
of it, Okay, and how he reacts.

Speaker 1 (01:27:38):
To it.

Speaker 4 (01:27:41):
Will erin Rogers ever go to the Bears, Oh boy, security.

Speaker 3 (01:27:48):
We'll get her out of here.

Speaker 4 (01:27:51):
To take it easy on her.

Speaker 3 (01:27:52):
No, but I believe there's a team that might play
in Chicago this year.

Speaker 2 (01:27:57):
With a road trip.

Speaker 3 (01:27:59):
I don't know, sure, go to check it out, are
you speaking? I love Chicago though, way more than they
love me. So and by the way, because I'm that guy.

Speaker 2 (01:28:10):
Yeah, the.

Speaker 3 (01:28:13):
The Saints and the pack Steelers both play against the Bears.

Speaker 2 (01:28:19):
This year, So if you can Saints possibility, that's right,
That's right.

Speaker 3 (01:28:24):
I think there is a chance Arnie for both the
Saints or the Steelers based on that answer. But I
will say I will say the bottom line more than
anything else, some's got to be done at some point, right,
I mean, we gotta start moving on this when this

(01:28:45):
camp open. Camp's opening late.

Speaker 2 (01:28:49):
July, so you have to have this done by sometime
in June. I'm guessing.

Speaker 3 (01:28:55):
Yeah, you would think you would think, let's see, he
Steelers training camp, that's twenty twenty four. Let me see
I can find twenty twenty five here real quick.

Speaker 2 (01:29:04):
They have bought it at least have him signed a
couple of weeks before training camp, though, don't they.

Speaker 3 (01:29:09):
Wednesday July twenty six is when players will report, and
their first practice it's going to be open to the
public is July twenty seventh.

Speaker 4 (01:29:19):
They need to make for OTAs and stuff as well.

Speaker 2 (01:29:21):
Maybe that's why he doesn't want a Simons, he doesn't
want to go to OTA's or what.

Speaker 3 (01:29:26):
I don't know. I mean, don't you have to. I mean, listen,
I know that this is going to sound. We've got
so many great NFL minds, so many former NFL players
like Brady Quinn and LeVar Arrington on two Pros and
a cup of Joe rich Is on all week and long,
Jeff Schwartz as well. But I mean, you would think
at some point they would even say, hey, yeah, you've
got to You've got to get your backside to camp

(01:29:50):
so everyone can got to learn everything they're going on.

Speaker 2 (01:29:54):
Right, So maybe that's why you wanted the OTAs to
go through then all Simon's he didn't want to go
to OTAs.

Speaker 3 (01:30:00):
But I mean, if you're a quarterback and you're learning
a new offense, don't you kind of have to be there?

Speaker 2 (01:30:06):
If you're I'm Aaron Rodgers, I'm Aaron Rodgers. You don't
care I'm Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 3 (01:30:12):
Okay, So I mean basically what you're saying is I'm a.

Speaker 2 (01:30:15):
Papa saske that I can, you know, do what I
want and I could pick up anything real quick, so
I don't have to worry about that.

Speaker 3 (01:30:22):
Okay, that seems a little bit smarmy. Seems a little
bit smarmie.

Speaker 2 (01:30:27):
Did you hear what Danica Patrick said?

Speaker 3 (01:30:30):
I do you know what? I am just so dude,
I am just so out of this world of caring
about what relationships coaches.

Speaker 2 (01:30:40):
Or trust me. It wasn't flattering.

Speaker 3 (01:30:43):
I'm well, but what she say, I guess, and you bro,
I did not see this on the Roman num or
run down by the.

Speaker 2 (01:30:48):
Way, that it was emotionally abusive relationship.

Speaker 3 (01:30:52):
Did she give details?

Speaker 2 (01:30:55):
She didn't give details, but she made it sound like
it was pure hell.

Speaker 3 (01:31:00):
Hmmm, like what she say.

Speaker 2 (01:31:03):
Just it was emotionally abusive and that you.

Speaker 3 (01:31:07):
See we have a headline reader here.

Speaker 1 (01:31:09):
No, no, no, no no.

Speaker 2 (01:31:11):
She used another thing, another term that described her relationship.
I'm not sure the exact word she used, okay, but
it was like pure hell or something to that effect
that I forgot it was in the initial quote of hers,
but it certainly she made it sound like it was
just a horrible relationship from the beginning.

Speaker 3 (01:31:31):
Toxic is the word you're looking for, a toxic relationship? Yeah,
that is what she said.

Speaker 2 (01:31:38):
Yeah. There was something else too in there that that
got my Do you ever.

Speaker 3 (01:31:41):
Think about maybe pulling this up? Whatever you said?

Speaker 2 (01:31:43):
I thought about that.

Speaker 5 (01:31:44):
Well.

Speaker 2 (01:31:44):
I didn't think we were going to get to it,
but yeah I did.

Speaker 3 (01:31:47):
I mean, you brought it up. Everything was torn to bits.
He leaves a trail of blood.

Speaker 2 (01:31:52):
Yeah, that was a trail of blood. Leaves a trail
of blood.

Speaker 3 (01:31:54):
That was it.

Speaker 7 (01:31:55):
I think Shalene Woodleigh, his other act, said something similar.

Speaker 2 (01:31:59):
I don't know. The leaves a trail of blood, though,
what does that mean? I don't even know what that means?

Speaker 3 (01:32:05):
Means that he absolutely implodes everything around him, I guess.
I mean, have you ever been with a crazy person?

Speaker 2 (01:32:13):
No, I don't. I don't do crazy. Mary mack he is.
He is the crazy talking about why did know what's
so funny? This girl that really liked me? And why? No,
I'm serious. She really liked me and I was dating
one of her friends, so she never went after me.
But once her friend and I broke up and I

(01:32:36):
hooked up with my current wife, she came up to me.
She said, I hear you're getting married to Beth. I said, yes.
She goes, I remember Beth from you of aago. Great,
she goes. I wouldn't marry her if I were you.
She's very weird and she tried to get me to
break up with you.

Speaker 3 (01:32:51):
She's talking to Yeah, tried. She tried to get me
to break up with Beth so I can go out
with her before I got married.

Speaker 2 (01:33:00):
That's done. Well, she dodged a bullet. I'm not gonna yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:33:04):
I mean, who's she?

Speaker 5 (01:33:05):
So?

Speaker 3 (01:33:05):
I guess the point is there's, like I said, there's
a lot of noise around Aaron Rodgers, aren't he But
there's no movement right now? I mean it's I I
pose this theory the other night. I think he's still
waiting for something to happen in Minnesota. I think that
he's trying to wait to see something happen in Minnesota,
and if something happens to where Kevin O'Connell is not

(01:33:26):
necessarily all that sold on JJ McCarthy, or something's not
going right with JJ McCarthy. I don't know. I just
I get this sense. I get this sense that they're
trying to do his camp, well, his campus him. I
don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:33:39):
I just I don't think they're no naive. I don't
think this is between one or two or three different teams.
I think he's pretty much.

Speaker 3 (01:33:46):
I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm telling you if so,
you think it's Pittsburgh or bus, I think that's the case.
Why isn't it done?

Speaker 2 (01:33:54):
Because I think maybe he didn't want to go to
OTAs or something to that effect them.

Speaker 3 (01:33:58):
So you're gonna let a guy come join your team
that doesn't want to go to OTA's whenever you're the
freaking Steelers Steelers.

Speaker 2 (01:34:04):
Right, I don't have Terry Bradshaw anymore.

Speaker 3 (01:34:06):
So, Yeah, Mason Rudolph, though, that's true, all right, I
think that I think he's holding out hope that someone
else is gonna come calling. You've brought this up many
times that hey, I would wait and see if someone
gets hurt, and if someone gets hurt, that might be
where I end up.

Speaker 2 (01:34:22):
But you gotta do that in practice. Very rarely do
they get hurt in practice or.

Speaker 3 (01:34:26):
Teddy Bridgewater, Man, come on, you can give one example
to every single one of your takes from thirty years ago.
But Teddy Bridgewater got hurt in practice.

Speaker 2 (01:34:34):
But they don't even play in preseason anymore. Right they practice, Yeah,
they practice, but they don't play in games.

Speaker 3 (01:34:41):
Right, But they practice. And I'm just I'm telling you
right now, if he was going to be a Steeler,
and I don't know that he's not gonna be, but
don't you think it would be done right now? You
don't think there's any hope in his mind that something
else might pop up.

Speaker 2 (01:34:54):
I don't think he's waiting for another offer. I think
there's another reason why he hasn't signed with Pitts.

Speaker 3 (01:35:00):
And that's just not one. To be a part of
practice now, want to be a part of the workouts.
Only thing I can think of at this point, only
think it comes to my mind too. Only thing. But
it's a big story. Now, did you have a take
or two whenever it came to the tush push or
the rejection of the receding for the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (01:35:16):
A little surprised. I thought they were gonna pan it
the way they were talking about. I think there were
some people that changed your mind. I guess at the
last minute didn't get enough votes. I'm I'm okay with it.
I didn't think it was that big deal one way
or the other. I didn't really affect me, So I'm
okay with it having it another year.

Speaker 3 (01:35:33):
Well, it doesn't affect you until the Dolphins get beaten
the super Bowl because they do it a thousand times.

Speaker 2 (01:35:38):
Right, it's the worst thing ever. Right, I hate it,
but I.

Speaker 3 (01:35:41):
Don't stop it, you know, just if you're go out
and stop it. We changed the rule whenever you couldn't
push a guy, and now we want to get mad
about this. I don't I don't understand why. I guess
what I don't understand, Arnie, is why Jason Kelsey had
to be there, Like, what is what is he going
to do? It's magically gonna make everyone go ah because

(01:36:03):
he told them that he'd still be playing if this
is the only play.

Speaker 2 (01:36:06):
Buffalo does a horrible job, right, didn't they get stopped?

Speaker 5 (01:36:09):
Like? Yes?

Speaker 4 (01:36:09):
Three times. Yes, it's an art, it's a skill.

Speaker 3 (01:36:13):
I mean it costs Buffalo trying to do that, probably
cost him a spot in the Super Bowl. Right, It's
not everyone can do it, so you're like me, it's
not one of those things where you feel like you
need to be spitting fire and you're all angry about it.

Speaker 2 (01:36:27):
Actually, no, I think it's important. Maybe if you want
to think of it this way, it's kind of important
that we keep it because if you didn't have the toushbush,
think about this, and it's fourth and a half a
yard uh huh, you would most teams would go for
it because they feel confident in the touschbush. If you
didn't have that, maybe we'd have more teams punting, and

(01:36:47):
we don't want to go back to that, right or
Am I just overthinking this?

Speaker 3 (01:36:50):
Maybe? Maybe? Maybe? But I mean not everybody. Again, I
just think it's something that not everyone can do. I
just think it's something that no.

Speaker 2 (01:36:57):
But if you can do it, and let's say half
the team can do it, you're going for it on
fourth and inches no matter where the ball is for
the most part, aren't you?

Speaker 6 (01:37:05):
Well?

Speaker 3 (01:37:05):
But I mean who else has done it?

Speaker 5 (01:37:09):
Well?

Speaker 2 (01:37:10):
You feel like, you'll get the you'll learn how to
do it if you're just gonna be.

Speaker 3 (01:37:13):
I mean we're on like three four years of it now, right,
three years?

Speaker 5 (01:37:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:37:18):
Anyway, we're coming to you live tonight from the Fox
Sports Radio studios. And when we come back, let's shift
our gears back to the NBA and the Knicks come
from behind. When I'm sorry, you can show me all
your win probability, Arnie. The implosion that you guys had
in Game one does not mirror what happened here to Space.

Speaker 2 (01:37:38):
You were ninety nine point seven.

Speaker 3 (01:37:41):
You guys were up fifteen points with two and a
half minutes to go in the game. This is not
the same.

Speaker 2 (01:37:46):
It makes them hurt like Ocean's twelve.

Speaker 3 (01:37:49):
I don't think. So, we're coming to you Fox Sports Radio.
You want to before we hit the tweets to the show? Yeah,
you want to finish off the well I didn't even
ask you yet, he said, yeah, so.

Speaker 2 (01:38:08):
Finish off what.

Speaker 3 (01:38:10):
Before we finish off the tweets? Do you want to
finish off the hanging chads from the Roman numeral rundown?

Speaker 2 (01:38:17):
Yeah, that's how I thought you were gonna ask that.

Speaker 3 (01:38:20):
Yeah, okay, eight and nine, I don't care about it.
We've talked about it till we're blue in the face,
but you got it on the rundown and you haven't
had a chance to dive into it yet. So Arnie,
take it away.

Speaker 2 (01:38:35):
You do you mean the Caitlin Clark Angel Rees situation
about That's what.

Speaker 3 (01:38:39):
I see here on Roman numeral A and I see
RG three and Ryan Clark.

Speaker 2 (01:38:44):
Well, it became a whole thing. Then they became a
big argument. Finally writing Clark apologized for bringing rg's three.

Speaker 3 (01:38:52):
Did he really apologize?

Speaker 2 (01:38:54):
Well, well, you don't think he apologized. You don't accept
his apology.

Speaker 3 (01:38:57):
I don't. It doesn't matter what I think. I think
I saw the funniest thing on Twitter this week and
it was my man, Bunkie Perkins. So I've never met,
but I think we'd be great friends. And he said,
maybe Ryan Clark just has too many takes, and maybe
we've reached that point where right, because he's got to
be on ESPN and he's got to do his podcast
and he's got to do the pivot. It's like, it's okay,

(01:39:19):
you can sit out a few things, right. It's one
thing that I know you haven't quite learned yet. Aren't
he Neither of I, But you're right right, Sometimes it's
okay to sit out a few hot takes every now
and then.

Speaker 2 (01:39:28):
No, you know one thing that I thought about when
I was listening to the latest allegations, how there's a
racial epitopes be and don at Angel Reese. She must
have terrible, terrible teammates that all this stuff is going
on during the game and none of our teammates stand
up and you know, defend her. They don't go into

(01:39:50):
the stand and say, hey, can we get this person
out of here? This is getting out of hand, or
this has got to stop or.

Speaker 3 (01:39:57):
Anything like that, or maybe it's not happen. Well, I
didn't say that, but it seems like that's kind of
what you're insinuating.

Speaker 2 (01:40:05):
No, I am insinuating that because either they're horrible, horrible
people and they're not standing up for her, or it's
not going on. And I got to figure it's not
going on. I get a feeling Angelo Reice doesn't even
want to be playing for this team because they're so bad,
and that she wants to get traded and go somewhere else.
I bet you she figures out a way how to
do that. As for what's going on. Did you see

(01:40:26):
the Britney grinder mount that blanking white girls? She said,
and that's exactly what she's at least in my opinion,
I think the NBA is just getting disgustingly crazy for this,
because it was estimated today some economists said that Caitlin
Clark could bring in one billion dollars to the economy

(01:40:50):
of the WNBA. I don't know. I just don't understand
the hatred for her. I think it's absolutely insane and
it's eventually going to call us the league if something's
not done about it. They can finally make some money.
And here they are hating on a girl that can
be worth one billion dollars to the w NBA. So

(01:41:11):
I think it's gotten out of hand, as you saw
it spill over to the RG three and Ryan Clark
situation and then everybody talking about it after that.

Speaker 3 (01:41:20):
I have a very hot take on this, Arnie, and
I want you all to be sitting down, you ready, Yeah,
I don't care.

Speaker 2 (01:41:27):
Yeah, I mean there's some people that say that too.

Speaker 3 (01:41:30):
Listen, it's it's not an anti Why everybody calm down?
I don't smoking U. I don't care about Ryan Clark's take.
I don't care about Robert Griffin the third stake, I
don't care about anything. I just I like watching watching
Kaitlyn Clark play basketball. But do I know anything about
the WNBA? No, not really. I don't need to. I
can be a fan of Kaitlyn Clark and not have
to destroy it with terrible hot takes and opinions all

(01:41:52):
the time.

Speaker 2 (01:41:53):
I just think it's funny. Look what said now in
sports radio, like Ryan Clark bringing the marg three's wife.
I used to say, oh, Laker fans, and I used
to get in trouble. That's the way.

Speaker 3 (01:42:03):
You're not gonna say that anymore. That's so offensive, and
now look what you can say and get away with it.
So there's certainly a line that was crossed there. I
felt that he did apologize. I don't know why he
decided to put a picture.

Speaker 2 (01:42:15):
Of his own kid up. I don't know how, because
I even found out that's why, right, But that doesn't
mean you should go ahead and still post that. I
thought that he was pandering to the people out there,
but it got out of hand. I think it's kind
of reeled back in a little bit. We'll see what
the next controversy is in the WNBA as it goes along.

Speaker 3 (01:42:36):
Yeah, I you know what, I just I want to
enjoy this. I think this is a really fun time
to be a WNBA fan, right to be a basketball fan.
There's so many cool things going on, Arnie, Why why
why why do we need to suddenly have it be
a situation where we just we've got to out take everyone.

(01:42:57):
It's like I'll show you, I'll show you I've got
the hottest of hot takes.

Speaker 2 (01:43:02):
So but we wouldn't have a hot take if something
wasn't going on, Chris, and look what's going on. Not
only are they talking wait, not only they talking about sports,
I mean Clay Travis talking about it in the political
world too. Because of what's going on, it's a polarizing subject.
And I know that Danny Parkins said that, you know,

(01:43:23):
it's gotten out of hand. I believe. I'm not going
to quote him exactly, and and I think other people
have said it too, But it's what people are talking about,
even though ones that say they don't want to talk
about it or talking about it.

Speaker 3 (01:43:35):
Well, this is a crazy thing that I do. Whenever
I hear people talking about it, I turned the channel
just because people are talking about it doesn't mean I
have to listen to it. Aren't he right?

Speaker 2 (01:43:43):
No, I understand, I got I mean, this is just
where I stand.

Speaker 3 (01:43:45):
That's why the whole we talked to we. I guess
I'm falling into the trap because by saying I don't care,
I'm not talking about it, I'm talking about it. I
think that I think that Ryan Clark was out of line.
It's doesn't need to get that personal. And I think
there were one hundred percent right. You're losing your mind
with the way that you're treating Caitlyn Clark right now.
WNBA just lose you know.

Speaker 2 (01:44:07):
I bring this up. Have you ever seen go to
any sport Lebron James or Wayne Gretzky of Michael Jordan.
Tom Brady has already been a superstar, ever been so
hated before by other players in their league like Caitlin Clark.
Think about that for a second. Anybody, any superstar of

(01:44:29):
any league in any sport, has been so like. Has
anybody ever said, boy, I really hate Lebron and rough
them up on the court or something, or I really
hate Michael Jordan or another opponent going I really hate
Tom Brady and I want to take him out or
something like that, compared to what they're doing and saying

(01:44:50):
thing about Caitlyn.

Speaker 3 (01:44:50):
Well, I'm sure listen, I don't know. I'm sure there
has been but the way that this is being treated
you one hundred percent right, it just seems very odd,
seems very weird. Yeah, you want you want to clean
off with one more do we have to break it started? Okay?
One more off the Roman numeral rundown. Yeah, to kind
of clear off this hard work that Arnie put in
on it a lot today Roman numeral seventeen seventeen. Wow,

(01:45:15):
Rest in peace. Jim Orsay was not aware that he
was sick. Was not aware that he was sick, but
maybe he was. And I haven't heard much about the
why behind why he passed. But he was a unique dude. Man.
I got a kick out of him and I kept
trying to win money on Twitter from him too.

Speaker 2 (01:45:33):
There's no doubt the guy had a reputation for being
a little bit of a partier, but overall, I hear
the guy was a great philanthropist. Also, when he hired you,
you let football people do football work. Pretty good guy
from what I hear, Really good guy. So let him
rest in peace.

Speaker 3 (01:45:51):
No doubt you want to hit sixteen here too. Sure,
Apparently the greatest TV show that ever happened in the
history of mankind is being canceled.

Speaker 2 (01:45:58):
Oh you know, I got so sick of that, man.
I mean, you didn't invent TV. You're not Johnny Carson.
The way they're getting to send.

Speaker 3 (01:46:05):
Off and Around the Horn and Tony Raally like that
guy's the Pope or something like that, and the panelist
and Kallis Shaw going yeah, you know they're gonna replace
the replace them with athletes.

Speaker 2 (01:46:16):
Oh shut up, man, you didn't invent TV. They got
such big egos. Now, yeah, all those panelists from Around
the Horn, Oh what did you do? You gave hot
sports opinions just like we did on the radio. Stop
acting like you're the the hottest thing. They're making me
sick with this whole I can't we did two thousand
and two. Who counts their shows like that? Seriously? Who

(01:46:40):
cons her shows? Well?

Speaker 3 (01:46:41):
You know what, I've given one million, three hundred and
thirty two hot takes I did, just boloney.

Speaker 2 (01:46:47):
It just aggravate the hell out of me to see
the the the you know, the send off that they
got it was crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:46:53):
See, like I said, we're agreeing on too much tonight.
This hasn't been a very good show. I'm a great
and they're being replaced by a guy either being replaced
on TV by a sports center by you guy.

Speaker 2 (01:47:03):
I used to do TV within Dallas, Matt Barry.

Speaker 3 (01:47:05):
Matt Barry, Yeah, Barry like me.

Speaker 2 (01:47:08):
You can do TV with him in Dallas for a
couple of months.

Speaker 3 (01:47:11):
Looks like things have gone up for him since he
split up with you.

Speaker 2 (01:47:14):
Huh yeah, yeah, well once he got rid of me.

Speaker 3 (01:47:17):
Tick notes please wow, all right, Steve de Sager in
for one. Fine, he's ready to go home. He's got
all the latest news and notes. What's going on? Steve?

Speaker 4 (01:47:26):
Hello once again, and we do as you talk about WNBA.
We do have no WNBA on the Monday holiday schedule,
but there will be five games Tuesday, and among the
four games here on Sunday tonight, Chicago's Angel Reeve said
thirteen points twelve rebounds, but they lost to LA ninety
one seventy eight Kelsey Plumb now with LA twenty eight points.

(01:47:47):
The win for Phoenix was sixty eight sixty two over Washington.
Britney Sykes of Washington one of thirteen from the floor. Meanwhile,
Seattle won its WNBA game one oh two eighty two
against Vegas and Connecticut. It's now zero to four after
losing seventy nine fifty five to Atlanta, and then tonight
we had Game three of the NBA's Eastern Conference Finals.

(01:48:08):
The Knicks in a comeback win at one oh six
one hundred at Indiana Pacers up two games to one,
will be hosting Game four of the series on Tuesday.
In the play by play era, as it's known in
the last twenty five plus years, when they actually as
the games going on, list every play in the stats
that has happened. They can find out how many points

(01:48:29):
in a quarter. For example, a guy had like Towns tonight,
it had only happened once in the last twenty five
years plus that somebody had twenty points and eight rebounds
in the fourth quarter of a playoff game. That was
Dirknoviski two thousand and six. That's what Towns did tonight
in the comeback they win by six. They were this
close to being down three in the series. Towns finished
with twenty four points fifteen rebounds. Jalen Brunson was six

(01:48:52):
of eighteen shooting, but the Knicks on the road six
and one this postseason. They were great at the line
in a close game twenty seven of thirty. Pacers led
by twenty points late in the second quarter. In the
NHL Playoffs, Edmonton up two games to one in the
West Final. They were head of Dallas today two to
one late second period six to won the final. Game

(01:49:13):
four is in Edmonton. On Tuesday, USA Hockey took the
World Championship in overtime, beating Switzerland won nothing in the final,
the game winner to Tage Thompson of the Buffalo Sabers.
It was the first on ice trophy for USA Hockey
in this tournament since nineteen thirty three. The Americans outshot
the Swists forty to twenty five. That tourney was hosted
by Sweden, which won the bronze. Today, Alex Polo took

(01:49:36):
the Indy five hundred, the first driver from Spain to
take it. He's won the season title in Indy Car
three times in the last four years. He has dominated
so far this season, taking five of the six races
on Fox. That is a driver's best start in the
series since nineteen sixty four. Next weekend a race on
the streets of Detroit, but Polo Today took the lead

(01:49:57):
with about fifteen laps to go, passing Marcus Erkson. Robert
Schwartzman from Israel finished twenty ninth after he'd earned the polls.
Scott McLoughlin crashed out on a warm up lap. He
was actually out of the race before it began, and
then they finally got going full speed and Marco Andretti
quickly was out early. Thirty three drivers started, twenty three

(01:50:18):
finished the race. And then in Charlotte tonight we had
NASCAR six hundred. William Byron got passed with six laps
to go, finish second to Ross Chastein, who had started
in last place fortieth and dead last. So Byron, a
native of Charlotte, has now finished in the top three
in the past three six hundreds there without winning it.
He had just signed a four year extension this weekend

(01:50:40):
with Hendrick Motorsports. He led the most laps by far
tonight finished second. As for Major League Baseball, the Mets
had the Sunday night game, hosting and beating the Dodgers
three to one. Show Heyo Tani with a leadoff homer,
his eighteenth home run tied for the major league lead.
Pete Alonzo answered with a two run shot bottom of
the first. The Mets have a home record of nineteen
and six. For the Dodgers, Otani did pitch some batting

(01:51:04):
practice before the game, first time throwing to live batters
in nearly two years.

Speaker 3 (01:51:09):
Seemed like he was having a blast. Yeah when he
was doing it.

Speaker 4 (01:51:11):
Could be back in July. Blake'snell could be back from
injury in July. Until then, you know, your two uncles
are in the starting rotation for the Dodgers, and they've been,
let's be honest, a five hundred team the last three weeks.
In a couple of weeks, they'll start playing the Padres
and the Giants. The Giants won three to two at Washington.
Winning pitcher Robbie ray Is seven to oh and incredible

(01:51:33):
started Detroit for Terrek Schooble, last year's Cy Young winner.
He shut out Cleveland five nothing and through a complete
game all nine innings, ninety four pitches, just two hits allowed,
thirteen strikeouts and no walks. Arnie. It turns out there
had been only four complete game shutouts this year in
baseball until today.

Speaker 2 (01:51:53):
Oh, that's morning. I thought.

Speaker 4 (01:51:54):
As for total complete games, whether it was a shoutout
or not, that's eight in eight weeks wo MLB season.
Tampa Bay won its fifth in a row, thirteen nothing
over Toronto. The Cubs were down eight three at Cincinnati
after five innings, but beat the Reds eleven to eight.
Houston homered in the ninth to edge Seattle five to three.
Kansas City won in ten at Minnesota, two one Saint

(01:52:17):
Louis and Texas with victories Baltimore and Milwaukee as well.
Brewers scored three times in the eighth to win at
Pittsburgh six'. Five miami won three to nothing at The.
Angels The halos had won eight straight until A saturday night,
loss And San diego came back for a five to
three win At, atlanta But padre starting Pitcher Michael king
goes on the injured list with shoulder, inflammation and dare

(01:52:38):
we say much more about how The rockies And a's are.
Doing The a's had lost eleven in a, row but
did actually Upset philadelphia five to four with two runs
bottom of the. Eighth no series win at all for
The rockies still this, season they lost at home to
The yankees today five to, four The rockies record nine
and forty. Four bet Geez, Heank, steve.

Speaker 3 (01:52:58):
Have a great, Week, Hanks. Steve i'm still in. Shock
WHENEVER i was watching the highlights and they said complete, game,
Shutout i'm, like complete? Game what in this in this,
era in this, time it just doesn't happen. Anymore. Man
it's a. Lot you were talking about it, Earlier, arnie
whenever we were. Kids that's what baseball pitchers.

Speaker 2 (01:53:18):

year that The a's had four.

Speaker 4 (01:53:23):

Speaker 2 (01:53:25):

Speaker 4 (01:53:36):
Sure but the fact of today's game With Trek scoubel And,
detroit it was nine innings and ninety four. Pitches in other,
words he pulled a maddox as they call, it to
not only throw every inning of the whole, game but
do so in.
