Speaker 1 (00:00):
I have to have better stop from beginning.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Jonas Knocks, you thought you knew me, You didn't know
a thing about me.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
He's crazier than a else.

Speaker 4 (00:09):
Wrecked that guy, Jonas Knocks, you heard me.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
The Friends of Darkness is lighting up your speakers to
establish an alibi for the day. No Live from the
Fox Sports Radio studios. Here's Jonas Knox.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
YEP.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
So okay, I'll be part of this world.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
You know, there is something to be said about certainty,
certainty in life, certainty in relationships, certainty in sports. And
we've got it. That'll be yours here coming up in
just a couple of moments from now, Jonas Knocks, Fox
Sports Radio. You can listen to this show as always
on the iHeartRadio app. You can find us on hundreds

(01:07):
of affiliates all across the country. Wherever the hell you
are making us a part of your Saturday morning into
the afternoon. We appreciate you doing so. We will be
taking you all the way up until four pm Eastern time,
one o'clock Pacific. And we have got to talk about
some certainty in the world of sports. Have to because

(01:28):
the only way you're certain of something is when you're
not sure about something else. All right, So let me
explain to you a scenario or walk you through a
scenario that we've all seen or witnessed or been a
part of. You might even be a part of it.
Right now. You've got, you know, earbuds in, you're picking
up some food. Whatever. There's this thing I like to
refer to as daytime bar TV topics. Okay, daytime bar

(01:57):
TV topics.

Speaker 5 (01:59):
Now, let me describe you walk into a bar during
the week.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
It's middle of the day picking up some food. You know,
maybe you're picking up some food and maybe you're gonna
buzz the tower. All right, buddy of mine, he likes
to refer to it as buzzing the tower. No, honey,
I'll go pick up the food. It's gonna take the
delivery guy too long. I'll go get it. And so

(02:28):
you go in there, and while you're waiting for the
food that you hadn't even ordered yet, you just start
ripping drinks, buzz the tower a little bit, you know,
all of a sudden, smile a little brighter.

Speaker 5 (02:38):
When you get home. Why did you take an uber
back home?

Speaker 2 (02:40):
I don't something with the transmission, I don't know. But
you walk into a bar middle of the week, it's daytime,
and you take a peek up on the television and
you'll see a topic on the sports debate show. And

(03:00):
when you're in this bar, there's like a couple of
different things that you'll see. You'll see like some uh,
it's like a soccer game in Europe that everybody out
here pretends like they're interested in, you know, you know
those those games. It's like one of those. And then
next to it is going to be like a sports
debate show, and you'll notice on the screen there's it's
called the Chiron, that's the little box on the TV.

(03:23):
There's a question or a topic that they're discussing. You
can't even hear what they're saying because they're playing some
bad music over the speakers while you're getting waiting for
your food. But you look up and it says something
along the lines of who is the face of the NBA?
You know what I mean? And you'll see people go

(03:45):
back and forth, and you're just kind of watching and
you're not saying anything because you're just kind of waiting
for your Caesar salad and you're looking up and you're
just trying to figure out and the only thing that
comes to mind is like, God, you know who cares?
And I'm with you, like, like who literally who cares?
Like it is a waste of time topic. It is

(04:07):
a who's the face of the NBA? I don't know
how about who cares? Does he? Who's he play for?
Like really like especially in that league, Like it does
not matter. It's why players today get so fatigued and
so frustrated with the discussion about players now they play.
It's what Kevin Durant has always spoken out about it.

(04:28):
Everybody spends so much time tearing players down. The pendulum
swings back and forth. Last year it was, hey, is
based on the NBA championship? Is Jalen Brown better than
Jason Tatum? And then the year before that, it was
how could you give Jalen Brown that type of money?
Did you see the way he looked when Jason Tatum

(04:49):
went out in the Miami Heat Series? And then uber
the pendulum swings back this year it's like, that's what
the NBA does. It's called daytime bar topics. And the
one that's going around now is who is the face
of the NBA? Right, So the next time you're at
a bar or you're standing there or you've probably seen

(05:11):
it this week. I can assure you that's gonna be
one of the discussions, and that's going to carry the
discussion all through the off season. I'm calling my shot
right now. I'm telling you that's how this is going
to go. But there is something about certainty, and there's
something you can be certain of, and that's what I
love about Major League Baseball. You want to know why

(05:33):
you would never see a topic like that in the
middle of a day at a bar somewhere on the
chiron on television, you would never see a topic like
who's the face of Major League Baseball? It's because you
don't really need to discuss it because everybody already knows.
Sho Heyo Tani and Aaron Judge are must watch, cannot

(05:56):
miss television. They're too good for sports debate because there
is no debate right here. It just is it. Last
night they meet up, first time since the World Series
and that full blown gag job by the Yankees not
to be outdone by the Knicks. You know a few

(06:17):
months later, but when is they play last night? And
what do they do, I don't know, make history again?
First time ever? Both MVPs Homer in the first inning
of the same like just there is no debate, there
is no discussion, there's nothing, Like you're sort of entering

(06:38):
Tiger Wood's territory where it's no longer Hey, who's the MVP.
Who do you think is gonna? No, no, no, it's him
or the field? Like, pick whoever you want, Hey, I
got Aaron Judge, you can have everybody. Hey, I'll take
Otani in the NL. Who do you want then, fact,
don't even answer. I'll give you everybody. They're at that

(07:02):
level now, and we spend so much time breaking down
who's not as good as they think they are, Who,
which guys overrated, which guy's underrated, who's the face of
the league? Who's Meanwhile, Major League Baseball has got two
full blown first ballot Hall of famers in the prime

(07:25):
of their careers. They are way past any discussion, any debate, anything,
and deliver every single time. It may not be as
interesting in the middle of the day when you're picking
up a half sandwich, half salad and ripping three Jack

(07:47):
and Cokes and then putting a stick of gum in
your mouth so your boss doesn't smell your breath. When
you come back. It may not be that interesting, but
just watch Otani and Aaron Judge when they play. They
are in their prime and as good as anybody going
in sports. You're literally witnessing Hall of famers in real time,

(08:10):
two of the best to ever do it in real time,
and they delivered again last night like they usually do.
Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio at the Jonas Knocks
on X at the Jonas Knocks on X. By the way,
you can also follow along on the Instagram page as
well at Jonas Knox Show. So you ever seen those
time lapses, right, They'll show you like a time lapse

(08:33):
of hey, you know, this was the coast of California,
or this was the coast of Florida, you know, back
in the nineteen twenties, and they'll go and look at
it now and you just see like this systematic erosion
that's happening, and it's like okay, okay, okay, yeah, yeah,
doom and yeah, okay, this in doomsday. It's going to

(08:54):
fall off into the ocean, like okay, got it, got
it understood. I can see the evidence there. It's true.
I see it, and it's kind of like how I
feel about college football because you've seen sort of this
erosion of the college football that we've known for so long.
Not saying it's bad, like there's a lot to like

(09:16):
about it, but you've seen kind of this erosion where
we used to have all these conferences, and we used
to have all the everything seemed, hey, this is what
we're working with. You got a conference champion, here, we
got a fourteen playoff. Here, we go this, this and this,
and it's just slowly systematically, with the time lapse of
the erosion sort of eaten away at the coastline of

(09:39):
college football. Like you don't even have to wait to
see whether or not the pac twelve is going to
fall into the ocean. It went on its own. Oh
were you guys? Were you waiting on?

Speaker 3 (09:51):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Here, somebody give us a handsaw, and we'll go ahead
and cut our own way. It kind of trail off
into the Pacific. Don't worry about us. We'll take care
of it on our own. And now you've got commissioners
arguing about the college football playoff. How many automatic qualifiers?
How many this? How many that you've got sort of

(10:12):
this pairing that's going on where you've got the sec
and the Big Ten, and then you've got the ACC
and the Big twelve, and everybody's kind of lining up
with each other and all while this is happening, all
it is is a slow erosion of the sport that
we've all known and the sport that we've all loved
growing up. And again not saying it's a bad thing,

(10:32):
it's probably better off the PAC twelve is in the ocean,
all right, It's probably better for everybody. It was kind
of a waste of time. You couldn't watch any of
the games. You had people in other parts of the
country talking about PAC twelve after dark, and it's like,
how about just PAC twelve access? Can I watch this?
Please anybody? But at a certain point, I don't really

(10:55):
want to hear about who's petitioning for this college football
playoff scenario to look the way it is and who's
gonna Ultimately what's gonna happen is everybody's gonna do what's
best for them, period. And if it means we end
up with two super conferences and you've got the SEC
and the Big Ten together and the other two, whatever

(11:16):
it is, I don't need the constant time laps and
daily updates from the annual spring meetings about what they're
looking like. And we're looking at at a four team
and it's gonna expand to a twelve and a sixteen
and it's gonna be a five to eleven model or
it's gonna be a five to five to four And dude,
can somebody just figure this out and let's move on

(11:38):
with our lives. We know what's happening. We've seen the
sport evolve, We've seen how this is all gone. I
do a show with Brady Quinn. He's the best I've
ever heard, breaking down the real story behind all of
this and what is actually happening with TV involvement, and

(12:00):
and I think I speak for a lot of people.
We're just kind of fatigued at this point about what
the potential college football playoff is going to be? Can
we just get to the answer, get to the resolution,
like I got it. Listen, because of the ozone and
because of currents and because of people throwing stuff in
the ocean, it's eating weight at our coastline. I totally understand,

(12:22):
and it's probably all gonna go away soon, and I
totally got it. Can I just get a beer and
watch the waves that's it. I just want to watch
the college football playoffs. I just want to watch the
college football season. You commissioners, you figure it out. You
play the media however you want to play it. Greg
Sanki can be as condescend as condescending as he wants. Dude,
do what you gotta do. Let's just get to a

(12:42):
resolution so we can enjoy the damn games. Jonas Knox
here Fox Sports Radio at the Jonas Knox on X

(13:06):

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio coming up a little over
ten minutes from now. It's funny how certain people get
criticized for things and others don't. Not really that big,
just whird how this works.

Speaker 5 (13:47):
It's happening. It happened currently in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
We'll get into that for you again a little over
ten minutes from now. So there's a there's been this
discussion that's been going on about you know, Roger Goodell
made a point to, you know, to make this announcement
at the owners meetings of Minnesota a couple of weeks ago,
and he was just talking about, hey, listen, you know,
we're going to allow NFL players to participate in the Olympics.

(14:12):
And so the discussion then turned to, Oh, this is
going to be awesome. It's going to be fun, you
know there, we're actually going to be superstars NFL player.
We've never seen football in the Olympics and now we've
got flag football and it's going to be And so
to me, like everybody should be excited about that, you know,
like everybody should be like, oh, this is awesome, Like
it's another event to watch. I mean, if we're being

(14:34):
honest here, there's a lot of events at the Olympics.
That I mean not to be like to go dark
or be like cars or anything, but like there's there's
events in the like I'd rather watch my dog die
again than watch if I'm being honest with you, Like,
it's just not entertaining at all. Not that that was,
but it's just not good. It's not good. I think
you can gamble on it, but you don't even know

(14:55):
what you're gambling on. The point is the NFL being
in fused into the Olympics, I would assume is a
good thing, you know, like I would assume that that's
that's a positive for everybody. You got flag football players
like Darryl Ducett, who am not happy about it. Doesn't

(15:15):
like the fact that NFL players are going to be
maybe a part of this. Feels like, you know, maybe
the the flag football players it's a different game. I
feel like maybe we're being iced out, not forget about us,
et cetera, et cetera. And so Jason Kelcey was on
the New Heights podcast and he was like, listen, I've
got an idea on how you could pick teams when
it comes to flag football on the Olympics. Let's take

(15:36):
a listen.

Speaker 6 (15:37):
And that team should just play this flag football team
that's been playing for a long time and feels like
they are the best at it and they don't need
other guys, and then whoever.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
Wins this is like a mystery. Alaska's pretty much.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
One.

Speaker 6 (15:53):
Because I agree, I do agree. If these guys are
the best, they should represent USA.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
So team versus flag football team. Let's just like, let's
figure it out that way. However you want to figure
it out, Let's figure it out that way. And however
they decide to do it, you got plenty of time
until we get there. Patrick Mahomes has already said, yeah, listen.
You know, I'm like, I'll leave that to the younger guys.
You know, that's something that they can part to. But
I think it's super cool the one piece of advice

(16:21):
that somebody should give to flag football and to other
players who feel the same as some of the flag
football players like Darryl Ducett, who kind of feel like, hey,
listen to you. They're intruding on our territory, Like the
one piece of advice and this is sound advice, and
I hope, I hope they're listening. Whatever you do, don't
be the WNBA okay, just like you may not know

(16:49):
what you want to do, but what you definitely don't
want to do is be the WNBA at all. Because
when the WNBA had Superstar show up in the building,
they've done everything they possibly could to try and shut
that down, like when they had a whole bunch of

(17:13):
eyeballs on the league and on the sport instead of
being like, well, yeah, listen, we feel like there's others
that have been here longer and maybe are better and
all that, but no, this is great, this is great
for our league, This is awesome, welcome in, Like, let's
battle it out on the floor. Let's you know, let's
let's make this a positive for the league. And instead

(17:35):
what has it turned into? Hey? Was uh was Britney Griner?
Did she make a racial slur on the bench? Or
was was she speaking in Russian? What? What was that? Uh? Hey,
do you feel like there was somebody yelling obscenities from
the crowd that insulted everybody? And oh my god? Was that?

(17:55):
Was that a legitimate foul or was there was that
a malicious play by Caitlin Clark on Angels. It's like, dude,
you literally were given a gift like you were handed eyeballs, attention, revenue,

(18:19):
everything that comes along with it, and you've gone above
and beyond to try and shoot it down, discredit it,
you know, criticize it, make it about other things that
don't really matter or maybe didn't even happen at all.
If you're flag football, if you're the organizers from flag football,

(18:40):
if you're Darryl Ducet, like you listen to whatever Jason
Kelsey has to say. Hey, I got an idea. This
is how you pick teams? Cool? Patrick Mahomes. Yeah, I'll
leave it to the younger guys. No, no, no, no, please please,
like bring as many NFL eyeballs with you as possible,

(19:00):
because let's be honest here, nobody cares about flag football
unless you got kids that play it. Like that's like,
let's just be honest. Nobody cares. We care about the
NFL like that's like. And if we're being more honest

(19:22):
about the entire situation, the Olympics probably are beneath the NFL,
right not saying that, you know, it's not important to
represent your country and all of that means the world
to those guys, and it should. But as far as
the actual game itself, it's not really football. It's not.

(19:43):
It's not the football that we watch every Sunday in
the fall and in the winter. It's not. It just isn't.
So if you're the people that are putting this idea
together and you're the people that are kind of, hey, listen,
you know we want to bring NFL play, dude, do
not shut it down. Welcome any idea, any player, any

(20:05):
anybody that wants to try out. Welcome. Yes, please please
come be a part of it. Yes, please come be
a part of it. No problem, Like no, absolutely, no problem.
Like you talk to people that are in the WWE,
why do you think they bring celebrities to some of
these events, and why do you think some of the

(20:25):
performers and some of the wrestlers get frustrated when people,
you know, either don't like that certain so and so
is getting an opportunity or it's like no, no, no, they're
bringing eyeballs, they're bringing attention, they're bringing new viewers to
the sport. Like when you got boxers that are shaming
Jake Paul for putting on these events or you're they're

(20:48):
oh my god, he's nothing, he's not a good boxer,
he's not a there's a reason why Canelo got into
discussions to actually fight him. He shot it down early
and then all of a sudden he saw what he
made Jake Paul did during the Mike Tyson Netflix debacle
and said, on second thought, maybe, yeah, you know what, maybe,

(21:09):
like he's actually putting fights together that people care about,
like this, this is a real thing. Terrence Crawford may
be the best fighter in the world. And if i'm
you know, he's probably gonna beat Canelo. Like, if I'm
betting on that fight right now, when it happens, I'm
gonna take Terrence Crawford. He's fantastic terreence. Crawford fought out

(21:29):
here locally, he fought in southern California, and they were
having a hard time selling tickets to that fight. And
he's one of the best ever in his prime at
the Sport. Meanwhile, down the freeway at the Pond, Jake
Paul fought and sold the place out same night. Like,

(21:52):
if you get eyeballs attention, notoriety into something that you're
trying to grow, you don't shoot it down, Like you
don't open up a restaurant and immediately charge a cover charge. No,
you have a Hey, welcome in, Like, let's let everybody in,
Like we got this new place.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
Let it.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
So if it's Jason Kelsey who's got an idea, or
if it's Tyreek Killen wants to be a part of it,
or Lamarget or anybody. Dude, if you're flag football, it's
real easy. Just don't be the WNBA. Don't let something
positive that can grow your sport and grow the visibility
and the marketability for everybody involved in the sport. Don't

(22:35):
shoot that down just because you want to be overprotective
and be narrow minded in what you're trying to do
here when it comes to your brand and the brand
of what it is that you're trying to accomplish at
the Olympics. Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio. By the way,
you can stream this show and all of our Fox
Sports Radio show is live twenty four to seven and

(22:55):

to preset Fox Sports Radio in the iHeartRadio app and
it will always pop up at the top of your screen.
Coming up next here though, there's a very interesting dynamic
at play in the NFL. Apparently one player can do something,

(23:17):
but another player can kind of weird.

Speaker 5 (23:20):
We'll get into that for you right here on FSR.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
But for all the latest from around the world of sports,
Ladies and gentlemen, make some noise and roll out that
red carpet in your ears for the one, for the only,
for the magnificent, Sir Isaac Longkron.

Speaker 7 (23:40):
Back to you, jonas Well, good afternoon to you. We
start with the big trending headline, and that's the anticipation
for Game six of the NBA's Eastern Conference Finals tonight
at eight pm Eastern from Indianapolis, with the Pacers holding
a three games to two lead over the New York Nicks. Meanwhile,
in Major League Baseball is interesting injury news today. Houston

(24:01):
Astros designated hitter your Non Alvarez's return to action has
been delayed. Alvarez has been twenty five games because of
a muscle strain in his right hand, but Asher general
manager Dana Brown told reporters today that follow up imaging
yesterday revealed that Alvarez also has a small fracture in
his right hand that is presently sixty percent healed. Brown

(24:22):
says that Alvarez will now return in the near future.
One game going on right now, the Cubs and Reds
scoreless after one at Wrigley Field. One other injury update
stemming from the Dodgers eight to five win over the
Yankees in the World Series remanch last night, featuring two
home runs by shohey O Tani now is twenty two
to lead the Majors, but the Dodgers Mookie Betts is

(24:43):
going to be out for at least this weekend series
with the Yankees. He hopes that he'll be back in
a few days after fracturing the tip of his second
left toe at Holm on Wednesday night while walking to
the bathroom in the dark. Now, fortunately Jonas the several
million loving fans on social media have greeted this injury

(25:07):
news with understanding and empathy, including at Ruby DOGG five
fifty six, who commented, quote, oh, for Christ's sake, he
makes millions.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
There is a new invention. It's called a light switch.

Speaker 7 (25:23):
To turn it on so people can see Meanwhile, at
Halo Louia, who is apparently an Angels fan, commented quote,
hockey players everywhere are laughing unquote. And finally at Dodger
Doug one two three posted quote, imagine telling Tommy Lesorda,

(25:45):
you stubbed your toe and gotta be out a few
days unquote. Yet another example, along with your legions of fans, Jonas,
of the understanding and empathy that can be found on
social media.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
That to you, was there anything from at Rex Ryan
about Mooki bets his feet? Is there anything from him
that is brilliance?

Speaker 5 (26:06):
I'm sure there were.

Speaker 7 (26:07):
There was, there were comments from either him or as
many burner accounts these are.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
I mean, this is a legitimate question.

Speaker 7 (26:14):
Touch them, yeah, send send pictures. You know, I'm very
concerned about this injury. Can you please send pictures that
sort of thing like that's, by the way, that's thinking
outside the box, not outside, not thinking outside the shoe box,
but thinking outside the box.

Speaker 4 (26:31):
You know.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
I mean, listen, I'd like to defend Mookie Bets, to
be honest with you. That's a now it isn't you know?
Clearly he hit it on the corner. Because if you're
hitting your middle toe like it escaped the big toe
and then the third toe went straight for the middle toe.
So does he does his like his feet like flip
people off when he's got his shoes off, Like, does
he have a longer because there's some people that have

(26:51):
a longer second toe than they do big toe, which
is which is kind of weird. No way, really, I've
seen that, like some people they're uh, it's almost like
your middle fingers your longest.

Speaker 5 (27:03):
That second toe is longer than the big toe.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
I've seen that before. Yeah, Chris has got a uh,
let's go live to our I've got I'll tell you
what get second toe in the history.

Speaker 7 (27:17):
I think that Rex Ryan will be downloading this podcast.
By the way, go yeah, my second toes are bigger.

Speaker 2 (27:23):
Rex fan out of your pocket. Sorry, keep it easy there. Yeah,
so your your second toe is bigger than your.

Speaker 7 (27:31):
Long longer, longer not but yeah, I should clarify it's longer,
not bigger.

Speaker 5 (27:36):
I mean now that we're here, my toes overlap.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
That makes anybody feel better. Like I couldn't wear I
couldn't wear sandals for the longest time because my second toe,
like uh lays partly over the top of my big toe.
That's a thing.

Speaker 5 (27:51):
Yeah, and you know what, I would have kept this
in shame.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
But they actually have a term for this. There is
a they have a term for this.

Speaker 4 (27:58):
I'm not making this up.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
It's called more toe I have with Morton. Who's got
Morton's toe? Chris or me? Chris has Morton's toe. I
wanted Morton's You're just a freak, You're just a freaking Well,
I'm gonna go celebrate at Morton's the steakhouse, I guess
perhaps named after one time NFL quarterback Craig Morton. Perhaps
what about Johnny Morton? They add him too? Were Morton

(28:20):
Anderson the one that would make for a kicker? I
wanted Morton's toe? And look up what mine's called. Where
your your big toe lays partly underneath your your second toe?

Speaker 7 (28:32):
Yeah, it says here chat GPT says you're you're just
simply a freak.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
That's fair. Hey, my son had the same thing. A
second he was born. I saw his feet. I was like, hey, sorry, buddy,
it's gonna be a while before you can do flip flops.
It's very painful. All right, Well, there we go. You're welcome.

Speaker 4 (28:49):
Rex.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
It is Jonas Knox. Here on Fox Sports Radio to
him again. Coming up, we are gonna have another edition
of Do You Care? That'll be yours here in about
ten minutes from now here on FSR. Now, I didn't
want to point this out that I do not have
a problem with this personally, like I don't have an
issue with this whatsoever, but you know, maybe some people would.

(29:14):
And it was noteworthy this week that Miles Garrett was
away from OTAs for the Browns because he was in
Japan with his girlfriend, Chloe Kim speaking of the Olympics.
So he was in Japan with his girlfriend, and so
he was not at OTAs with the Browns. And so,

(29:35):
of course Kevin Stefanski, the head coach of the Cleveland Browns,
who's going to get used to being asked about all
sorts of fun stuff this year, he was also asked
about whether or not there was an issue with Miles
Garrett not being at OTAs, and it went like this.

Speaker 8 (29:50):
It's really important to remember that this is a voluntary
program and anybody who's here, we're excited about that. We're
not reporting who's here on what day. So Derek, guys
that will be in and out of the program, and
that is totally their prerogative. But the guys that are
here will will just continue to work. Okay, what if
I just asked on the record, Miles Garrett, it's in Japan,

(30:11):
there is that upset.

Speaker 7 (30:13):
Here in any way that.

Speaker 8 (30:16):
No, this is a voluntary program.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Hm. You know, it's interesting Aaron Rodgers went to Egypt
and uh, like it's like a big problem. Everybody had
a big problem with it. Just kind of kind of interesting,
like he went he went to Egypt and there was
a real issue. Miles Garrett goes to Japan. There's no

(30:42):
real and this is not a Japan versus Egypt thing.
You know, I don't want to turn this into a
World Cup qualifier, like it's not. But uh, it just
it's a it's a little odd that we're sitting here
kind of listen. Voluntary, you know whatever, it's voluntary. It's
not mandatory. Voluntary. Mini camp's another story. But this is voluntary,

(31:03):
not a big deal kind of just huh, not a
big deal at all. And something tells me it's just
not gonna get as much coverage as the Aaron Rodgers
stuff did. Like something tells me, I don't know, I
don't know what it is. Gut feeling, you know, gut
feeling says, for some reason, this just won't get a
fraction of the coverage. Well, it's because Aaron Rodgers is

(31:25):
a quarterback, and quarterbacks are supposed to be leaders. Okay, Well,
I would argue that maybe the guy who just reset
the market at his position maybe should also be there too,
Like if we're talking about leadership with my which Miles

(31:45):
Garrett has pointed out and discussed before, like if we're
talking about all that, maybe he should also be there.
I don't know, maybe maybe, or maybe Miles Garrett looks
at it and goes, well, what are they gonna do? Really, honestly,
what are they gonna do? They gave two hundred and
thirty million dollars to a weirdo. What are they gonna

(32:09):
do to me? And I reiterate I don't have an
issue with it at all. As Kevin Stefanski pointed out,
it's voluntary. You don't have to be here. It's voluntary.
But it's just funny how we're kind of picking shoes
what to be outraged by and what quote unquote shows
a lack of leadership and what doesn't like for all

(32:31):
this talk about well, you know, quarterbacks. Quarterbacks get all
the calls, and they get all the love and all
the attention and all the credit and all this, and
then that quarterbacks, especially quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers, have to
play by two different sets of rules, completely different set

(32:52):
of rules. Miles Garrett can go to Japan. Hey, we're
good here, you know, nothing much to do about nothing.
Rogers goes to Egypt to smoke weed off the back
of a camel, and next thing, you know, the Jets
should move on. He's selfish. It's kind of interesting how

(33:13):
we pick and choose to discuss these things, you know,
just kind of weird. Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio
at the Jonas Knox on X at the Jonas Knox
on X and you can get me on Instagram as
well to follow along at Jonas Knox Show. Coming up
next though, we are going to have a Saturday tradition.
It is another edition of Do You Care? Stick around
the yours right here on FSR. Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio.

(33:38):
By the way, if anybody wants see a great video,
if you're listening to the podcast right now, we are
playing corn song blind. If you want to see a
great video, go look at Woodstock ninety nine when Corn
performs live and there's like two hundred and fifty thousand
people before they started burning stuff down and defecating on
each other, and you'll watch maybe the biggest moshpit you've

(34:02):
ever seen in your life. Unbelievable. It's unbelievable footage. But
you could check that out. I would recommend doing it
after the show so you don't get distracted by all
these great takes. All right, coming up top of next hour,
we'll call it. A little over ten minutes from now
here on FSR, we are going to apparently somebody might

(34:24):
be donezo when it comes to their team in the NFL.
Maybe it might be a rap. We could have a
big time move, big time decision coming in the National
Football League. We'll get into that for you again a
little over ten minutes from now By the way, be
sure to check out the Fox Sports Radio YouTube channel.
There's a ton of great videos from many of our
Fox Sports Radio shows. Just search Fox Sports Radio on YouTube.

(34:45):
You'll see whole bunch of video highlights from our shows.
And be sure to subscribe so you always have instant
access to our Fox Sports Radio videos on YouTube.

Speaker 4 (34:55):
There are so many stories in the world of sports,
and most of them are a complete waste of dmzer reports.
Let's get kinky. Here's some of the big stories from
the last week. But Jonas, the real question is do
you care?

Speaker 2 (35:10):
And for that we turn it over to our executive
producer Bo Benson to find out what the hell people
have been talking about.

Speaker 9 (35:15):
Bo Well, Jonas, Tomorrow's June First, which is kind of
the I guess, the start of the second wave of
NFL free agency. You start getting the post June first
cuts and trades and everything. So the Miami Dolphins could
be a team that's busy tomorrow. Defensive back Jalen Ramsey
is all but told the Dolphins he's done playing there
and came out that the Steelers and the Dolphins have

(35:37):
talks about tight end John new Smith. So, Jonas, do
you care that the Dolphins could be moving on from
some key guys here?

Speaker 2 (35:43):
I do because, and we were talking about this a
little bit yesterday on the show, the Dolphins are a
high variance team because I could see Miami being a
playoff team next year, and then I could also see
Miami picking near the top five of the draft. That's
a team where I have no idea what to expect,

(36:04):
but nothing will surprise me. Nothing will surprise me. And
then you've got the Tyreek Hill situation where you know,
the final game of the season, he doesn't want to
be there, and then he apologizes and does want to
be there, and now he's saying that he's you know,
he's a team you know, doesn't doesn't deserve to be
a team captain. He's all of a sudden accountable. And
you get all the off field stuff that's gone on
this offseason, and it's like, maybe he gets traded. I

(36:27):
don't know, if somebody calls up and they're like, hey,
we'll give you this for Tyreek Hill, and the Dolphins
are like, well, it's not going to be as bad
to our dead cap or as bad of a dead
cap hit. You know, after June first, maybe they make
a move. So I could see Miami going one of
two ways, either awful this year or a playoff team
and nothing in between.

Speaker 9 (36:46):
Next Luka Doncic will be the next guest on Lebron
James's Mind the Game podcast he does with Steve nash
Jonas Do you care No, I.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
Couldn't care less, but I will. I would say, it'll
be interesting to see because I don't know if people
saw Luca looked like he had dropped about forty pounds
and he was in great shape. It would be interesting
to see if he got in great shape knowing he
was gonna be on the podcast and then like a
month from now, you know, he he looks like Chris Farley,
like that would be hilarious if he's like, listen, I'm
just gonna play nice until we get this podcast done with,

(37:18):
and then after that I'm gonna go on a full
blown bender, just a full blown five alarm bender.

Speaker 5 (37:25):
That would be entertaining. But what remains to be seen next?

Speaker 9 (37:29):
Fresh off claiming the Premier League title, Liverpool have signed
Jeremy Frimpong and look to also be adding Florian Wurtz. So, Jonas,
do you care?

Speaker 2 (37:40):
I'm here to tell you right now, we don't care.

Speaker 9 (37:44):
Who what a Jeremy Frimpong?

Speaker 2 (37:47):
Who is there an owl in here? Who?

Speaker 4 (37:51):
What?

Speaker 3 (37:53):
Like?

Speaker 2 (37:53):
That's like, that's right, that's middle of the day on
a TV in a bar with the sound down stuff
right there?

Speaker 5 (38:01):
Whoever those guys are there's soccer players right?

Speaker 2 (38:04):
Yeah? Okay, that's exactly where you can be seen next.

Speaker 9 (38:09):
Scott Hansen will be back to host NFL Red Zone
for the twenty twenty five season. Jonas do you care?

Speaker 2 (38:14):
Yeah, I love listen, I love it. The Red Zone
channels one of the great inventions. Like there's been some
really great inventions in television, like the way that you
watch television. One of the greatest is when Fox started
putting the scoreboard up in the corner of games. You
didn't realize how much you needed it until you had it.
And then they'll show old school games where you and
you're looking around like which corner is the scoreboard? And

(38:36):
then he realized, no, this is an old school game.
They just showed that periodically, Fox putting that up in
the corner of the screen at all times, and now
you can't go without it. And the Red Zone channel
is one of the great inventions ever to where you
just cut out the middleman. Let's cut right to the chase.
Forget about everything that's happening in between the twenties, and

(38:58):
let's go straight to the Red Zone and see what
we've got. He does a fantastic job. Andrew Siciliano did
a phenomenal job when he was doing it as well, too,
so I'm happy to see it's back.

Speaker 5 (39:08):
Good for him. He does tremendous work.

Speaker 9 (39:10):
Next, just a very happy birthday to Clint Eastwood, who
is ninety five years old today, Jonas, do you care?

Speaker 5 (39:17):
I do, Clint Eastwood?

Speaker 2 (39:19):
I love it the movies.

Speaker 5 (39:22):
There's two movies.

Speaker 2 (39:23):
Like a lot of people think about the Westerns and
things like that, two movies that I think of are
I think It's any which way but loose and every
which way you can whatever it is. They're both starring
Clint Eastwood and an orangutang named Clyde who is vulgar, drinks,
assaults people, flips off drivers, and is like a like

(39:46):
like a car dismember, like he breaks car parts down.
Like it's just it's a fantastic movie. So he's not
gonna get love Clint Eastwood for that role. But I
grew up on that movie. So you can keep your
outlaw Josie Wales and all the other Westerns and great stuff.
He's done. Happy birthday, Clint, and wherever you are, Clyde,
we appreciate your work as well too. I mean, listen,

(40:07):
it was fun while lasted. You know, there is apparently
we could be on the ropes here. Somebody's tenure in
the NFL. We'll get into that for you again coming
up here in just a couple of moments from now,
Jonas Knox, Fox Sports Radio. You can listen to this
show as always on the iHeartRadio app. You can find
us on hundreds of affiliates all across the country and

(40:31):
wherever you are making us a part of your Saturday afternoon,
we appreciate you doing so. We're going to take you
all the way up until the end of this hour
four pm Eastern time, one o'clock Pacific here, and we
have got plenty to discuss here on this show. Plenty
to discuss because you know, one of the big talking
points this year is who's there and who's not. Players

(40:53):
make statements. We were talking about Miles Garrett not being
at OTA's. He's in Japan with his girlfriend sweet. I mean, listen,
you know, everybody's got got different lives, Everybody got, you know,
different priorities, different goals. Miles Garrett's hanging out with his group,
no problem there. Aaron Rodgers was in Egypt last year,

(41:15):
big problem, Big problem there. You know, Kirk Cousins doesn't
show up totas he wants to get traded seems obvious. TJ.
Watt's not at ot as he wants to get paid.
Like players are making decisions, They're looking around going, hey,
I look, I gotta I gotta look out for me.
I gotta make sure I'm doing the right thing for

(41:38):
me and mine And I totally understand it, man, Like
these are voluntary, all right, So there are different reasons
behind why players are not at OTAs. You know, then
you have Steffan Diggs and uh, he's working his way
back from a knee injury. He just signed this you know,

(41:59):
three year d with the Patriots in the off season.
Wants to still show that he's a wide receiver one
in the NFL, even despite the injury last year and
Houston and all that. And next thing, you know, some
video surfaces where he's on a boat with a bunch
of people, a bunch of women, and pulls out what
looked like a pink substance, a pink powder. Now, me,

(42:25):
growing up seeing an ice cream truck or two stroll
down the street, I would have leaned towards fun dip
or maybe pop rocks like that would have been my
go to. But some people have thrown out a term
called twosy, which apparently is, for lack of a better description,

(42:47):
pink cocaine. Now, we do not know whether or not
that's exactly what was in there, and listen, it is
quite possible that maybe it was the powder off a
peep left over from Easter. Like to defend Steffan Diggs

(43:08):
here for a minute, like, we don't know exactly what
it is.

Speaker 5 (43:11):
Some people have said, you know, maybe he's you know,
got something.

Speaker 2 (43:13):
To roll a joint with.

Speaker 8 (43:14):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (43:17):
They listened different strokes for different folks. Literally on that
boat it looked like but Stefan Diggs not at Otiers.
The video surfaces and questions are being asked. Mike Vrabel
was asked about it, and he had to respond and discuss,
you know, Stefan Diggs. He seemed like he was very agitated,
very frustrated that this was even a storyline that he

(43:39):
was having, even having to discuss Stefan Diggs not at
Otis and then Stefan Diggs being seen on a boat
with you know a little bit of that that pink
snotsand that.

Speaker 5 (43:50):
He that he had working there on that that mini yacht.

Speaker 2 (43:53):
That they were cruising on. But you know that being said,
a lot of a lot of questions. And then Scott Zolac,
who you can hear on our Fox Sports radio affiliate
ninety eight point five, the Sports Hub. He does a
show there, Zolac and Bertrand does a great job. Love

(44:15):
Scott Zolac, and he spoke about the potential of maybe
maybe this could cost Avon Diggs's job. I think he
should be cut you I don't.

Speaker 1 (44:28):
I came to this show yesterday with the opinion, not opinion,
but the knowledge of that it is on the table
that it is being thought of. And it's not just
the boat. It's not just the boat. There's some other
things that I've heard. That's all that puts some things
in question.

Speaker 2 (44:42):
Are you all in? Are you all in here? So
now there's that it would not like it would not
surprise me if I was betting right now. You got
to make a wager. You're in Las Vegas, you walk
into a sports book, you go on DraftKings, whatever you

(45:02):
want to do. You want to go to the DraftKings
next to Wrigley Field, great place. You could go to
that place and go there by the way, as if
Wrigleyville needed it to be any more awesome here, let's
throw a sports book in sweet. If you were to
ask me, I don't think he gets cut. I don't
think he gets released. The fact that they're discussing it

(45:26):
and the fact that it's become public discussion leads me
to believe that that's the warning that, hey, this is
a possibility, like gun to my head. If I got
a place a wager, I would say he's not going
to get cut. But it would not surprise me at
all whatsoever. If Mike Rabel just said that's it. I'm

(45:49):
trying to re establish the culture here. I'm trying to
show people how this is done, and if you're not
going to play long I got to move on, would
not at all. Because the thing about Stefan Diggs is, look,
there was already questions about whatever the hell happened in Buffalo.

(46:12):
There was already questions about, hey, why did that end?
What went wrong there? Because clearly there was something off
going into his final year. There was this stuff at
training camp where he got upset, He had a meeting,
got upset and left and then maybe came back like
there was just this weird, awkward back and forth. He
kind of went missing later in the year, felt like

(46:33):
there wasn't a lot of opportunities, wasn't a lot of
reps for him. They weren't throwing them the ball a lot.
You started to look at the numbers, they were dwindling
a little bit. You saw the outbursts on the sidelines
in a playoff game, like it just it felt weird.
And then you look back and you go, oh, that's
kind of how it went in Minnesota too. Then he
gets to Houston and you're banking on, Hey, it's a

(46:56):
one year, proven deal, he's going to be a free
agent after the year. You know he's gonna play nice,
and you know he's gonna produce because he's always produced.
And then he suffers a knee injury. So to have
all that in the background, and now you're older and
coming off the injury, this pops up. I could understand

(47:19):
Mike Rabel deciding, Hey, I want to make a statement.
We've got to move on. There's too much baggage already.
I gotta let people know this doesn't fly. I could
understand that thinking. I just feel like the fact that
this is even public discussion, the fact that there's even
a thought that he could be cut. I think that's
your warning, that's your public warning. And I feel like

(47:41):
ultimately Stefon Diggs is gonna be welcome back. And as
Scott Zolak pointed out on his show, they could use
him like they still need help on offense. He would
be great for Drake May. Now it just remains to
be seen whether or not Mike Rabel wants to make
a statement. Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio at the
Jonas Knocks on X at the Joe Knocks on X
and you.

Speaker 5 (48:00):
Can hang out with us as always on the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (48:03):
By the way, follow along on the Instagram page at
Jonas Knox Show is where you can find all the
inappropriate content, uh the these screenshots and our ig stories
of all the insults that are piling in. Even on
today when I feel like we've played nice for the
most part, but apparently you know, people are are going
to be you know, red asses and pain in the

(48:24):
asses for the rest of their time. There is also a.

Speaker 5 (48:29):
Charade going on, and I think we should end the charade.

Speaker 2 (48:33):
I think that would be better for everybody involved. I mean,
I know that, look, you wanted to go on as
long as you can you'd love for it to get
to a seventh game, but can we just can we
end the charade that is Nix Pacers in the Eastern
Conference models, can we just get this done and move
on with our lives. Let's just move on. It's over,

(48:54):
like it did. Like that was cute. It was one
last hurrah for Madison Square Garden, one last moment for
Knicks fans to celebrate and make it seem like they
were actual, legitimate threats to win an NBA title. But
can we just move on, Let's just get away from
it all, Like, let's Indiana. You take care business, you

(49:14):
close up shop, you respond after what happened in the
previous game, and then we just focus on the NBA Finals,
which will probably.

Speaker 5 (49:21):
Tip off in like two and a half months, whenever
they decide.

Speaker 2 (49:23):
To do it. And then we get Indiana and okay,
see in the finals. And you know, people can bitch
about the market sizes and all that, but I look
at game five between these two teams, the Knicks and
the Pacers, and I know that the Knicks feel great
because man, you know this is God that what a
performance and defensively and all this, it's like, Okay, Okay,

(49:47):
is that a repeatable performance? Do you believe like or yeah,
they should have won Game one? Oh no, no, no? Is
what happened game five repeatable? Right? There is an answer here,
and the answer is no. Indiana's bench outscored the starters.
That's not happening again. The fact that the Knicks only

(50:11):
won by what they won by should be kind of
alarming to Knicks fans. If I told you a Indiana's
bench outscored their starters, Tyrese Halliburton hit like two shots
all game, you'd be like, oh God, how bad they

(50:31):
lose by seventeen? That's it?

Speaker 4 (50:39):
Really?

Speaker 2 (50:42):
I mean, we've seen forty point blowouts, we've seen fifties,
we've seen thirties, Like you only lost my seventeens? I
mean that.

Speaker 5 (50:51):
Did they cover the spread?

Speaker 2 (50:55):
Nothing that happened last game is repeatable, So I think
it would be who everybody involved. I know we want
to hold on to the NBA on T and T
for as long as possible, but it's gonna end sooner
rather than later, and I think tonight seems like the
perfect night for it to go away. All Right, that's
a wrap. The series is over. Let's end the charade,
and let's get to the NBA Finals so we can

(51:16):
move on with our lives and get to the two
best teams in the playoffs. Jonas Knox here Fox Sports Radio,
at the Jonas Knox on X again at the Jonas
Knox and X and on Instagram at Jonas Knox Show,
and you can always find this show on the iHeartRadio app.
Coming up next, though, somebody getting a little bit of
criticism in the NFL. We're gonna stick up for him.
They're one hundred percent right in what they say and

(51:38):
how they feel. And that's yours here on FSR. Jonas Knox,
Fox Sports Radio. By the way, coming up a little
over ten minutes from now, we are going to discuss
somebody in the NFL who can't catch a break. They

(51:59):
cannot catch break. This was easy fodder. This was just
the layup everybody needed to score. That'll be yours here
on FSR again a little over ten minutes from now
here on Fox Sports Radio. So we've got ourselves somebody
upset with brutal honesty in the National Football League. Joe

(52:26):
Flacco is back with the Cleveland Browns, and he's back
with the Browns and he's in this quarterback competition with
Kenny Pickett, and he's got Shador Sanders, and he's got
you know, Dylan Gabriel, and he's got all these other
things that are going on there. And then you've got
Deshaun Watson. Then that whole thing's awkward. It's just there's

(52:46):
a lot going on with Cleveland. It's why I have said,
if you were to ask HBO, listen, we know you're
having the bills for hard knocks, who do you want?
They'd want the Browns. Like, there's way too many storylines,
way too many interesting things that could go and and
could play out there in Cleveland this offseason, especially a
training camp. And so, you know, people that have maybe

(53:08):
taken an issue with something Joe Flacco had to say recently.
Chris Canty, who played with Joe Flacco in the NFL,
was not happy about Flacco's remarks. And you know, in
being a.

Speaker 5 (53:20):
Mentor and so on and so forth.

Speaker 2 (53:23):
And in case you were wondering what exactly Joe Flacco said,
he said exactly what he should have said. He said
exactly the truth. He was nothing but honest. Let's take
a listen.

Speaker 10 (53:34):
It's a good question debate somebody into answering, and either
no matter how they answer, it kind of makes the
guy that's answering it look bad. If I say I
don't want to be a mentor, I look bad. If
I say I do want to be a mentor, then
I look like an idiot that doesn't care about being
good and playing football. So it's one of those questions
that no matter what I say, you guys can write
what you want to write about it. And there's a
lot of questions like that. That's why you end up

(53:56):
having to try to avoid them. I tend to try
to be honest, and I've said I'm not a mentor.
I play football, and in a quarterback room, there's a
lot of times already, there's been already a ton of
times where there's learning experiences and I have a lot
of experience and I can talk on things and.

Speaker 2 (54:11):
Hopefully they listen.

Speaker 10 (54:12):
But it's not necessarily like my job to like make
sure they listen to me. And you know, hey, like
hopefully you have a really good relationship with the guys
that are in the room, and you naturally want to
do that.

Speaker 2 (54:23):
He's one hundred percent right, like nobody should have an
issue with what he said one hundred percent correct. Yeah, look,
I mean hopefully they'll listen. I'm going to show them.
But you know, i'd also like to get ready, like
I would also like to like I'd also like to
be the starter here. It isn't his job to mentor

(54:45):
other players and just sort of you know, if they've
got a question, he'll help them out along the way.
But Joe Flacco looks at this and goes, no, this
is an opportunity for me to play again, Like I
have an opportunity here to show that. Yeah, we'll get
out of the way. You're older, what about you know,
the the next guy. You've got a group like No,
if you're Joe Flacco, you look at it like this. Hey, man,

(55:06):
I was sitting on the couch. I got a call
because you needed help at quarterback a couple of years ago,
because Deshaun Watson got hurt again. I came in and
in five games played so well that I got Comeback
Player of the Year over a guy who almost died
on Monday Night football.

Speaker 5 (55:28):
I'm sorry, I don't look at this as me being
a mentor.

Speaker 2 (55:34):
Sorry, I don't look at this as hey, how can
I go about providing wisdom so that this guy can
take my job eventually. No, I look at this and
go I realize there's only a short amount of time left.
I realized I only have a limited opportunities left in
my career. I'd like to actually, you know, play some

(55:55):
more good football and focus on being the starting quarterback here.
Nobody should have any issue with what he said. That's
the truth. Nobody should have any issue with what Joe
Flacco said in regards to being a mentor, and in fact,
he gave a very reasoned response. Look, I'm not gonna
win either way. If I say I want to be

(56:17):
a mentor, it shows that I'm not caring about my
own performance. If I say I don't want to be
a mentor, it makes it seem like I'm selfish, Like
you can't win. And He's right. Sometimes the best thing
you can do is lead by example. That That's one
of the things I've learned as a parent.

Speaker 4 (56:35):
Man.

Speaker 2 (56:36):
I could tell my son over and over again, the
same thing, the same thing over and over again. I
could do it every single day, and he's still gonna
make mistakes, or he's gonna drop something, or he's gonna
bump into something, or he's gonna trip and fall, and
then I'll see him do things and say, what are

(56:57):
you doing there, Bud, Well, that's what you do. Like
sometimes you just lead by. You don't have to say anything.
So if you're Joe Flacco, I'm not worried about whether
or not these guys are ready to go. When I
walk away, think about if you're Joe Flacco, there's no
he doesn't need to keep playing financially. He's got a family,

(57:19):
he's got a Super Bowl ring, He's had a really
really good career, really good career. He knows what that
world is like. When it comes to the veteran quarterback
and the new guy coming in. He was there when
Lamar Jackson came in. He's the guy who got benched
mid season so Lamar Jackson could be the starter and

(57:40):
they could get a glimpse of the future. And what
has he seen happen?

Speaker 3 (57:43):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (57:44):
Nothing, A couple of MVPs later, and like he's been
down that road before. So he looks at this and goes, man,
I know how this league is. I know what this
world is like. I had a cup of coffee with
the Jets that went about as well as you could expect.
I get to Cleveland, I have a hell of a

(58:04):
year in limited time. For some reason, they make the
decision to move off for me and move away from me.
Right whether Deshaun Watson felt threatened the following year or
whatever happened. He goes to Indianapolis, He's got to be
brought in again because Anthony Richardson decides.

Speaker 5 (58:22):
In the middle of a series, nah, I need a playoff.

Speaker 2 (58:27):
And then Flacco gets brought back to Cleveland and he's
got him Kenny Pickett who they traded for, and two
quarterbacks they drafted. Flacco's looking around, going, guys, I've seen
every circus and every circus tent that's popped up in
the NFL over the past three four years. Like, I

(58:49):
don't need any direction on how to operate or how
to and I especially don't need any direction on how
to operate or how to represent myself and my craft
to anybody. I've been around. I've been around since I
walked away from Baltimore. Like, think about the situations Joe
Flacco has been in the Jets, the Colts, and the

(59:12):
Browns twice, you know what I mean. Like he went
to the Jets, that's a clown show. He went to
the Browns because they needed help, wins comeback. Player of
the Year is not brought back, goes to Indianapolis. The
starter and next guy in line to be the future

(59:34):
of the franchise takes a playoff in the middle of
a series. Flacco gets thrust in and out of the
light up there, and then he comes to Cleveland. They're
drafting two quarterbacks, trading for one, and they got another
one who may or may not have reruptured his achilles
dancing on TikTok. If I'm Joe Flacco, I'm telling everybody,

(59:55):
kiss my ass. I got it. I don't need direction
from you. I know how to handle this, and he's
handling it exactly the way he should. Jonas Knox Fox
Sports Radio at the Jonas Knocks on X and you
can get me on the Instagram page at Jonas Knox
Show coming up next here though, there is a speaking
of quarterbacks in the NFL. This guy can't catch a break.

(01:00:16):
He just can't. No matter what he does, he's gonna
be the butt of the jokes. He's gonna get all
the heat, all the flak. Will tell you who that
is right here on FSR. But for all the latest
from around the world of sports, ladies and gentlemen, this
man should be celebrated.

Speaker 9 (01:00:30):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:00:30):
And if he's not, he'll kick you right in the nuts.
He's the one and only. He's the magnificent one. He's
Isaac Longcroft.

Speaker 7 (01:00:39):
True on all counts. What's also true that the Chicago
Cubs pitching staff right now working on a potential no
hit bid.

Speaker 2 (01:00:48):
Through five innings.

Speaker 7 (01:00:49):
They are scoreless with the Cincinnati Reds and Wrigley Field
right now, bottom of the fifth inning. The Cubs pitchers
Drew Pomeranz and Ben Brown have not allowed a hit
yet through five innings. Elsewhere is the exact opposite in Toronto,
because the Athletics have a three to two lead over
the Blue Jays, They're only in the bottom of the
first inning as Tyler Soderstrom of the Athletics a three

(01:01:12):
run home run in the top of the first, his
twelfth of the season, and then the Blue Jays Addison
Barger answered with a two run home run in the
bottom of the first. Houston Astros designated hitter your Don
Alvarez's return to action has been delayed. He could have
come back, they thought sometime this week end. He had
missed twenty five games due to a muscle strain in
his right hand that Astro's general manager at Dana Brown

(01:01:34):
said today that follow up imaging yesterday revealed that Albarez
also has a small fracture in his right hand that
is presently sixty percent healed. Brown says that Alvarez will
now return in the near future in soccer. In the
Champions League final right now, Paris Saint Germain as a
two nothing lead over Inter Milan in the thirtieth minute

(01:01:54):
in the first half. Finally, Jonas, we have a French
Open Tennis hal brawl update. After Italian's Jasmine Paolini and
Sarah o'roanni won their second round doubles match today, Paolini
tossed her towel into the crowd as a souvenir, only

(01:02:17):
to see an all out brawl breakout between fans fighting
over the towel. Paolini then reached into the stands and
grabbed her towel back away from the brawling spectators and
handed it directly to a nearby child. Who would have
known that used tennis towels were such a big commodity

(01:02:39):
at the French Open back to you, okay, And they
were fighting over there.

Speaker 2 (01:02:44):
Was a brawl.

Speaker 7 (01:02:45):
There was a full on brawl, including a tug of awards.
A wonder the towel itself was not ripped into shreds.
There were many age groups fighting over the towel.

Speaker 2 (01:02:57):
Okay, let me. I'm trying to see if I can
get a see video of this. Oh there's video out there.
Now where would I Where would I find this? So
I'm looking. Uh, I just searched on ex tennis brawl.

Speaker 7 (01:03:10):
Yeah, go to Jasmine Paolini?

Speaker 2 (01:03:14):
Okay, I mean, could you spell that for me? Who
do you think I am? Brian Finley? Can you spell
that tennis name for me? Jesus Christ? You can call
me Isaac.

Speaker 7 (01:03:24):
You spell it like it sounds anyway. I'm just saying,
so good for her for reaching into the stands. There's
a there's a young young lady with a backpack, a
couple of grubby kids.

Speaker 2 (01:03:36):
It was a full on tug of war. Okay, Jasmine
Piolini Paolini or I can't find it?

Speaker 10 (01:03:42):
All right?

Speaker 2 (01:03:43):
This is unbelieve like you're of no help. Please?

Speaker 4 (01:03:46):
What else is new?

Speaker 7 (01:03:48):
Are you saying that Paolini Paolini is spelled like.

Speaker 2 (01:03:51):
It sounds okay, all right.

Speaker 7 (01:03:55):
I mean I didn't need you to do a full
on Fox Sports race background, sir.

Speaker 2 (01:04:01):
I just want to see the brawl. I want to
see a fight, that's all I'm looking.

Speaker 9 (01:04:05):
I watched it for you. It's uh, it's more of
a someone should have hit this kid that was trying
to take it from the girl. She gave it to.

Speaker 2 (01:04:13):
See. I don't think that you gave it to the girl.
I don't think you gave it. Did you search for
but did you search for this on Twitter?

Speaker 7 (01:04:20):
Knows how to spell?

Speaker 9 (01:04:23):
If you try, I would pronounce it Jasmine Pawellini.

Speaker 2 (01:04:26):
Jeez, if you do.

Speaker 9 (01:04:27):
That, that might be uh. But it is the first
thing that pop.

Speaker 7 (01:04:31):
Seppie Benson over here, see it?

Speaker 2 (01:04:37):
Yeah, guys, I'm not seeing anything.

Speaker 5 (01:04:38):
This is this is just can somebody take me take
the spelling?

Speaker 4 (01:04:42):
El?

Speaker 5 (01:04:45):
Good god, I don't know what's happening here.

Speaker 2 (01:04:50):
Yeah, I'm like, I've tried everything. It's not popping up.

Speaker 7 (01:04:53):
I just didn't know you'd be that interested in in
a grubby tennis towels. What I'm saying, well, look, I
mean if people are fighting over tennis towels, I mean
you know that that tells you a lot about that crowd.
Apparently so so all right, Jonas Knox here on Fox
Sports Radio. By the way, a lot of positive feedback
speaking of X, A lot of positive feedback here on
the show. We are an hour and a half in

(01:05:14):
to this program here as we take you all the
way up until four pm Eastern time one o'clock Pacific.
Alan writes in who is the biggest idiot on sports radio?
No doubt about it, it's Jonas Knox. I mean debatable,
but probably not that bad of a debate. Troy writes in,

(01:05:35):
nobody gives an f about you, you teenage little bleep
that constantly needs attention, You talentless bleep boardop. Pete rights
in nothing Jonas loves more than his bleep persuasion show.

Speaker 2 (01:05:54):
Hey o, Tani hitting a couple of long dongs on
the Yanks. You can bleep it out too, you see.
Wad Booby rights in Hey radio boy, thanks from mailing
it in once again. Maybe you could score some twoc
next week to make your lame ass a little more interesting.

(01:06:17):
Take it however you like it at the Jonas Knox
on X. That is, at the Jonas Knox on X
and I will repost whatever I'm able to on Instagram
at Jonas Knox Show and the IG Stories as soon
as we get an opportunity there. So that's just unbelievable.

(01:06:38):
All right, coming up, we are going to have the
scraps things in the world of sports and beyond we've
not had a chance to get to. That'll be yours
here again about twelve minutes from now. I got to
tell you somebody who just can't catch a break. It's
actually kind of funny. It's actually kind of entertaining. And
I don't know if people they're in Dallas are aware
of this, but this is how this works. Dak Prescott

(01:07:03):
is never going to not be criticized. It's just never
gonna happen. People feel however they feel about Dak Prescott,
and nothing is going to change their mind. It's like
it is like you're not going to change their mind.
If you are not a Dak Prescott believer, you're going
to feel that way. Even if you were to win

(01:07:24):
a Super Bowl, if that were to happen, you'll find
a reason why it was not because of him. He
just happened to not screw it up. Brian Schottenheimer was
talking about his quarterback Dak Prescott. He had this to say,
and I guarantee you, I guarantee you. I can guess
your response after you hear this clip. And I think

(01:07:46):
Dak is in the developmental phase.

Speaker 10 (01:07:48):
And that sounds crazy for you guys played that much,
but like, there's things that we're tweaking with Dak.

Speaker 5 (01:07:54):
And of course, what do you think people did.

Speaker 2 (01:07:57):
With that boy after all these years, still developing? Huh hoh?
After all the boy he still needs development, so duff
course he does. He needs a lot of It's like, dude,
every player when they could. You imagine if Brian Schottenheimer
came out and said publicly, if he said, uh, listen, no,

(01:08:18):
Dak's been great. Look he's a finished product. There's nothing
really we need to do. We just need to be
better around him, he would be crushed. Instead, he says,
Dax's in the developmental phase, even this long in his career,
we're still developing, And of course you're gonna get crushed
for it, because no matter what, you can't win with

(01:08:42):
Dak Prescott. You just can't. It's just that's I mean.
And if you're Dak Prescott you probably know that. Look man,
what I mean, people are gonna say what they're gonna say,
Like I don't. It's why you don't see Dak really
get a red ass about it. He doesn't get pissy
about it. He doesn't. He's just kind of okay, okay,

(01:09:07):
Like whatever conversation or talking point is being had about
me is being had, there's nothing I can do about it. Nothing.
Brian Schottenhammer says, yeah, he's still developing, and you get
buried for it. Brian Schottenheimer were to come out and say, hey, listen,
he's a finished product. We love Dak Prescott, we got

(01:09:27):
to be better around him, he get buried for it.
That's why, ultimately, when it's all said and done, Dak
Prescott's going to ride off into the sunset, probably not
have a Super Bowl ring, probably be looked at with
the same sort of you either like him or you
don't mentality, and he's gonna walk away with hundreds of

(01:09:50):
millions of.

Speaker 5 (01:09:51):
Dollars in the bank. And that's probably why.

Speaker 2 (01:09:54):
He doesn't get upset about this stuff. That's probably why
he doesn't get worked up about it because it doesn't matter.
He really doesn't. It just doesn't. What matters is He's
played good enough and well enough to be paid multiple
times over, and that should be all he cares about
in the end of this thing, honestly, because the perception

(01:10:16):
of him, it's hard to win a Super Bowl. You
need a lot of things to go your way. I
think Dak Prescott's better than a lot of people give
him credit for. But it's discussions like that around Dak
Prescott that ultimately, when it's all said and done, he
should just look back on his career and be like, hey, man,
whatever I got paid, I got paid is what it is.

(01:10:39):
Jonas knocks here on Fox Sports Radio. By the way,
Isaac Lohenkron, the Jinx of sports stock radio, The Cubs
no hit bid is over. It is over base hit
for the Reds. As the Cubs were almost through six
with they no hitter going there at Wrigley Field, So
congratulations to Isaac Lohencron. He would also be the guy

(01:11:01):
that if you did win the lottery somehow, someway, he
would find a way to burn your ticket. So again,
a great job buys a long crown. He couldn't provide
us a link to a tennis fight over some towels,
and he just ruined a no hitter at Wrigley Field.
All right. Coming up next here, though, we are going
to close up shop with another edition of the Scraps.
Things in the world of sports and beyond we have

(01:11:22):
not had a chance to get to, and they're yours
here on FSR Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio. By the way,
coming up top of next hour, about fifteen minutes from now,
it'll be Tracy Sandler and nicky Ka taking over these airwaves.
To make sure you stick around for that. A reminder
that shortly after this show you can also listen to
the podcast. If you've missed any of it, be sure

(01:11:45):
to check out that pod. And by the way, you
can find out about things like Morton's Foot, Daytime Bar Television,
and Rex Ryan MLB Insider by just checking out the

(01:12:06):
podcast when you search Fox Sports Radio wherever you get
your podcasts. Be sure to also follow rate and review
it again search Fox Sports Radio wherever you get your podcasts.
You'll see it posted right after we get off the air.
I will also tweet out a link to that as
well too, at the Jonas Knox that is, at the
Jonas Knox on X. You can also follow along on
the Instagram page at Jonas Knox Show. If you go

(01:12:27):
to the IG stories right now. There at Jonas Knox Show,
you can see all the vile content and rude things
that were sent in that we tried our best to
read on the air. I could not retweet those because
they were so vile, but I did go ahead and
post those in the IG stories for you. So again,
at Jonas Knox Show is where you can find that
old fun content Right now, though, it's time to close

(01:12:48):
up shop with this, Jonas.

Speaker 4 (01:12:51):
Moro, how could you not get to these stories?

Speaker 3 (01:12:54):
Moron?

Speaker 4 (01:12:55):
These are the.

Speaker 2 (01:12:56):
Scraps, And for that we turn it over to our
executive pretty Bo Benson to find out what the hell
we've missed so far on the show, Bo Yeah.

Speaker 9 (01:13:04):
Earlier this week, the Atlanta Falcons. Everybody in the NFL
is doing their social media rounds with OTAs kicking off,
so it's nice to see pictures of guys. The Falcons,
of course, got in with everybody else. They posted picture
a picture of Jesse Bates and Mike Ford standing next
to each other. You know, football's back, blah blah blah,
all that stuff. They wear the jersey numbers twenty eight

(01:13:25):
and three which are you know, infamous numbers now in
Atlanta Falcons history. So that photo was deleted quickly after
it was pointed out.

Speaker 2 (01:13:34):
But all right, yeah, would you have deleted it?

Speaker 4 (01:13:38):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:13:38):
I would not have. Yeah, because you're just giving power
to them. Yeah, And first of all, you know, one
guys weren't three. The other guys weren't twenty eight. That's
how they were standing. It wasn't the other way around.
If it was twenty eight and then three, I can
understand I was a big difference. But like, look, one
guy's weren't three. One guys were in twenty eight. It's
part of some videos from a picture from OTA's your post. Dude,

(01:14:00):
you got to get that out of your head. This
is like with Matt Naggy when got Who's Kobe Parky
missed that forty three yard field goal against the Eagles
in the playoff game, but he double doined it and
so at OTA's The next year at rookie mini camp,
Matt Naggy had all the kickers, he had like nine
kickers trying out and made him all close practice by

(01:14:22):
kicking a forty three yarder.

Speaker 5 (01:14:24):
It's like, dude, you gotta get over it.

Speaker 2 (01:14:26):
Laces out, Dan, like, you can't, like, you can't let
that become a thing.

Speaker 5 (01:14:30):
You're just giving power to it. So I don't think
they should have.

Speaker 9 (01:14:32):
Deleted it to you, No, I would have left it up.
Speaking of OTA's real quick, something we talked about on
this show. I believe last week. There were some people
this week declaring Cleveland Browns quarterback Shitter Sanders as the
UH starter because of what he had accomplished in seven
on seven practice. Oh yeah, listing out his stats? Can
we stop? Please? No more?

Speaker 2 (01:14:53):
Oh yeah yeah the training camp stats.

Speaker 9 (01:14:56):
Yeah, oh yes, it's the best, not even training camp,
just seven on seven.

Speaker 2 (01:15:00):
Yeah, get hit. This is this is where we're at
when it comes to all this, and it's been going on.

Speaker 5 (01:15:06):
It's getting worse every year.

Speaker 2 (01:15:08):
They were pointing out, I think we were talking about
last week that Drake may through a couple of interceptions. Dude,
it's practice, Like it doesn't like, these aren't real games.
These are like, yeah, you're gonna make mistakes. Talking about agreed,
these aren't real games. You're gonna make mistakes and we're
keeping scoring. And this is why when teams want to

(01:15:29):
limit access to reporters at training camp and reporters get
pissed off about it. This is why, because this becomes
a storyline and coaches are being asked about it. It's ridiculous.

Speaker 9 (01:15:39):
It's it's so stupid. A couple of stories close to
me personally. I don't know if you saw this, but
a centerfielder and season alumni, Denzel Clark, took the top
spot on Sports Center's Top ten this morning with his
catch against the Blue Jays last night. You see him
scale the center field wall.

Speaker 5 (01:15:53):
Yeah, they got a couple of young players.

Speaker 9 (01:15:55):
Yeah, Jacob Wilson also, yes, but Denzel Clark alumni, So
go Matadors first of many, I hope, because we need
they we need more athletes out there.

Speaker 2 (01:16:09):
I mean, look, and you know it's just, you know,
only a matter of time before he's traded to the
Yankees at the deadline. Like it's just really like, I'm sorry,
that's just that's just a fact. That's just a reality
of what it is to be certain teams in Major
League Baseball. Like if you're a Pirates fan, or you're
an A's fan or a Marlins fan, like if you

(01:16:31):
buy a jersey of any player at all, ever for
those like.

Speaker 9 (01:16:37):
Yeah, what's the safest Pirates jersey. It's it's a McCutcheon.
I would think, right, yeah, because he's gone and come back. Yeah,
but even then he's still left.

Speaker 2 (01:16:45):
Like, oh, I told I don't know if I told
you this so little backstory. In two thousand and nine,
because I'm a Penguins fan, I went to the games
three and four of the Stanley Cup against the Red Wings,
and so I go back to Pittsburgh and by myself,
and I got a buddy who is a diehard Pirates fan,
and so I had never been to a Pirates game

(01:17:05):
of PNC. It's one of the most beautiful ballparks. If anybody,
if you want to.

Speaker 5 (01:17:08):
Go to a game with a great view, go to PNC.

Speaker 2 (01:17:12):
I wouldn't recommend the outfield, Okay, I just gee, I'd
be careful there. I'm just saying i'd be careful. That's
a warning track, not a swimming pool down there. But
so you go to this and it's beautiful and all that.
So I go to this little sporting good store outside
of PNC and I call my buddy. I'm like, hey,
I'm gonna get you a jersey. Who do you want?

(01:17:32):
He goes, I don't know. Man, they trade away everybody.
Like that day they had traded away Nate Mcloth and
it was Andrew mccutchen's debut. So I was actually at
Andrew mccutchen's major league debut and he was great. Then
they played the Mets, and so you know, it's they
just trade away Nate Mcloth to the Braves, and I'm
call my buddy on the phone, like, which jersey do
you want? And I'm like listening off all the players.

(01:17:53):
He goes, you know what, So yeah, I get that one.
Get the Zach Duke jersey. He's gonna be there a while.
I swear to god, I don't think he was area.
Literally within a year.

Speaker 5 (01:18:03):
The jersey was null and void.

Speaker 2 (01:18:05):
Like that's what it's like. So you, as a Dodger fan,
you don't know that world, bo, you have no knowledge.

Speaker 4 (01:18:10):
I mean I do.

Speaker 9 (01:18:11):
I do wish that I still had a Yasiel Puigue jersey.
I don't know what happened to the one I had,
but uh yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:18:16):
Well, I mean you know who knows, Probably in a
casino someone That's that's true.

Speaker 9 (01:18:22):
Real quick, last thing from me. I obviously a thunder
waiting for their opponent the finals, but I do just
want to take a point a moment to mention that
the thunder got here because the Clippers mortgage the future
NBA MVP and their entire draft. Ah, here we go
for Paul George. I feel like that's been lost in everything.
Here is the Clippers.

Speaker 2 (01:18:44):
Let me tell you what.

Speaker 5 (01:18:45):
Let me fill people in at what's going on here?

Speaker 4 (01:18:47):
All right?

Speaker 2 (01:18:47):
So there's a there's some poor souls who have covered
and rooted for the Clippers for a while. Ben Maller,
Moncy Belanos, Adam Auslin, part of the Fox Sports radio
