Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Hello, and welcome to Fox Sports Saturday. I am Tracy
Sandler here today with my good friend and tremendous talent,
Bridget Condon. How do you like that INTROOW?

Speaker 3 (00:14):
I think it's getting better every time we co host
together because this time I remember to turn my talk
button on before I started talking.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
That's a big deal.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
So, I mean the show is going to be phenomenal
fun starting out on a great note.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
I agree with that, and Bridget and I have been
spending quite a bit of time together for this week.

Speaker 4 (00:31):
Right.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
We had Sunday we oh yeah, I forgot I'm going
to an event that didn't end up inventing, so we
at dinner, and then Wednesday we were at the SBS. Yeah,
and now here we are today.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
I am starting to put Tracy into my calendar three times.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
A week because that makes me so happy.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
I see you more than I see my nanny. But
that Big Sports Show award show on Wednesday, let's get
into it because it was so cool.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
It was about your first red carpet.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Okay, my first red carpet. Guys, you know, nobody like
tells you what to do. I thought like the first
time you walk on a red carpet, you get up
to the front and they're like, okay, like stand here,
like look here, do this pose this way. No, they
were just like, okay, your next come on, and I'm
like freaking out all these cameras right in front of me.
I'm like, I didn't even get a mirror. I couldn't
even fix my lip gloss, and you just get thrown

(01:20):
into it. Of course, the night wasn't about me, but
I want to let you guys know that I had
no idea what I was doing. Tracy's over here with
a like a pro standing next to Kyle and Christian.
You check just how I do. Come on this.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
You know what, though, I this is so obnoxious. I
remember my first red carpet, which by the way, was
a year ago, so it wasn't like a million times
but it is a little but I found it kind
of fun. And they're like Tracy, look here, Tracy, look here.
I'm like, okay, okay.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
I had to like go into character and be like, okay,
I'm just gonna pretend that this is where I'm supposed
to be. These people have no idea what I who
I am, and they're like Bridget Bridget. The only reason
they're saying your name, guys, is because there's a whiteboard.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
That that's your name, so that they know they know
who you are, but they have.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
No idea who I am. But I faked it, like
I took a deep breath and I was like, you
better go out there and act like you're Jennifer.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Aniston, you know what, and you nailed it.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
I need to work on my poses. If anyone's like
watching listening right now and knows how to like pop
your leg like the girlies do help a girl out.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Well, our our good friend mj Acosta Ruiz, she helped
me pose because she did I'm okay with a pos,
but there's one specific pose and I was like, oh, okay,
thank you. This is just maybe changed my life.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Okay, I need to hit her up because yeah, it's
like the pageant girls. You can tell were pageant girls,
which gets me to my next point. Alana mar mm hmm,
unbelievable one of the best people that I met.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
She was wonderful, incredible.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
But her sister they were taking pictures together, was a
pageant girl and she was popping off and I was like,
and MJ was like, are you a pageant girl? And
she's like, yeah, so.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
That's what it is.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Maybe I'll hit her up for some post tips too.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Well. I think you have a lot of work to
do in the show ends today. A lot of people
at are reach out to do.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
People are like, we don't care about your poses, but
we want to hear more about the athletes you saw.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
We yes, we do.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
Okay. I already mentioned Alana Mar the nicest person in
she like beyond lovely. There are some people that you
meet and we meet a lot of people in this world, right,
like obviously athletes, but then their wives or girlfriends and
just people who like sports that are on the sideline
pregame and a lot of times you meet someone and
you're like, I wish I never met you, you know,

(03:25):
like it's just like you're great online, but in person
you're either like super awkward, not personal, couldn't care about
me at all, whatever. But Alana Mar took the time
to like have a full conversation and just her exception
speech and we can get into it later because that's
one of my stories. Was just so positive for girls,
and I'm like, we need more people like you.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
One hundred percent. And my friend that I was with,
who obviously knew she was and was familiar. She finished
her speech and he was like, oh, yeah, she's it.
She she is the real deal. She was really truly incredible.
It was it was of fun and let meet people.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
I'm not going to brag, but let me just say.
Russell Wilson and Sierra walked by me, and Sierra did
turn and say hi, how are you? And I was like,
I'm phenomenal.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Now you're like I am. See and you thought nobody
knew who you were?

Speaker 5 (04:14):
What?

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Everybody knows who you are?

Speaker 3 (04:15):
No, she was just being polite passing by.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
I'm made up. Nope, as far as I'm concerned, she's
a very us.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
Sold Like that's that really good reporter.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
And she was like, oh, why how are you?

Speaker 3 (04:25):
She's like, how good luck on this radio show this weekend.
I was like, thank you, Sierra.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
So if you're listening, Sierra, thank you, and we hope
you enjoyed the show.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
We know she's listening. Who was your favorite person you saw?

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Well, you know, you know mine's going to have to
be Pookinakua.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
Oh you guys tell him what you did?

Speaker 2 (04:41):
So I had this idea for a TikTok. I know,
I don't know if anybody here on TikTok, but there's
this trending sound where two people shake hands like they've
just met each other or they've known each other a
long time whatever. And I really wanted to do this
TikTok with somebody at the event that I didn't know,
and we were hoping for Love is Blind, but we
got Lot Island. We were hoping for Love Island.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
God, wait, too many dating shows, that's really fair.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
But we're talking to Pookinakua and I was like, oh,
this is great because rams wide Receiver Fortnighters beat Reporter amazing.
And I asked him if he would do it, and
he was like, yeah, I would do it. We talked
to Jared Verse about it, who was like, yeah, that's great,
do it. And we did this TikTok and I have
to say, I really feel like good Sport. I mean,
that's the thing, going back to kind of what you
said before, like good Sport. Obviously, tremendous Wide Receiver could

(05:28):
have been like I don't do social media. I don't
want to do that, and that would have been totally fine.
And also fort natter's beat reporter. They'm not forn Air's
fan reporter. That's like kind of the enemy. But uh,
he did it. It was great. It was so fun Pooka Nakoua.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
I remember this is thirty year in the league, right.
So three summers ago was the first time I went
to Rams training camp and I asked Jordan rod Grieg,
great reporter for the Athletic. I was like, who should
I talk to you? That's like, I don't know, you know,
everybody goes to Cooper Cup and Matthew Stafford. I was like,
who's like kind of you know, a nobody. She was like,
go talk to pook and Akoua. He's spent so good
during training camp. He's going to be great. He was
an awesome interview, and I remember like nobody was at

(06:03):
his locker right and I was like, oh and so
he opened up so much to me and then blew up.
But all that to say, he has been the exact
same to me since that very first time I went
to his locker three summers ago, and no one knew
who he was. And that's the kind of player you
love when they get big and still remain just as
humble and so getting that TikTok was like, that was
your award for.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
The note that was that was my award of the night.
And he did a great job. He like got it.
He was like yeah, and he was into it. So
it was a lot of fun. So that was kind
of our wait for this that was our all Star game.

Speaker 5 (06:36):
This way.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Oh now we're going to talk about the WNBA All
Star Games. Wait night.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
Okay. There were a lot of w players there, which
their fits at the award show was were incredible.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
And then Thursday at their carpet.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
They went from the red carpet to the orange carpet
literally like less than twenty four hours.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
I'm like, that's impressive.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
I was talking to some of them on Wednesday night
and they were like, yeah, we have to literally fly
out to Indiana in the morning. First thing, get glam,
get ready, go do the orange carpet.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
That's that's very impressive. It's very impressive, professionals, but incredible,
and they all looked amazing.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Shout out to their stylusts because these women stepped it
up this year.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Yes they did. These women did step it up and
it was it was a lot of fun to watch
and like the orange carpet. I Angel Reese gets me
because she was an All Leopard and that she is
going to get me every time. So that was truly incredible.
But the All Star Game is tonight. We'll be talking
about it a little bit more in the second hour
with our guest. But last night three point contests and

(07:33):
Kia Skills Challenge, and of course Sabrino wins it second
one a second three point contest Friday night, and she's
the becoming the second player to win multiple Shootouts's good.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
For She's incredible. I mean, scoring thirty points in that
final round. I was like waiting for her to mass.
She was just like swish, swish, swish swish. I was like, dang, Like,
why are people not talking about her the way they
talk about Steph Curry as a shooter.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
Well, and it's funny that you mentioned Steph Curry because
she said one of the things that really motivated her
is she lost to Steph Curry in the NBA All
Star Game Skills Challenge, So I think it's the Skills Challenge,
So she said that was extra motivating. So it's funny
that you bring him up. But I don't know because
she's tremendous and she she literally nailed it every.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
Shot And did you hear what she did with her money?

Speaker 2 (08:22):
Yes, I sure did. It's a I'm just going to
bring it up later were we talk about now.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Well, I mean this, sorry, but that's incredible, Like not
only are you an incredible athlete m sinking threes, but
then you're like, oh, yeah, I'm going to donate. She
donated half of the money to the foundation and then
the other half to Sonya the rookie. Yes, like trying
to make her feel confident being her first time in
the three point skill shooting contest. She was like, if
I win, like, I'll give you half my money.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Which is so nice.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
I mean, it's just how often do you see people
in a competitive sport have that kind of like camaraderie.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Yeah, not all the time. Sometimes she'll see it on
a team, but you have people and two separate teams,
this rookie coming in, you don't necessarily see that all
the time. But that was really fantastic. That well, it
warmed my heart. It was a feel good story and
it made it really really warmed my heart. It made
me made me happy to see it because those are
the kind of stories that you like to hear, you

(09:15):
like to see, and so that made me happy. I
liked it.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Yeah, and it definitely just helps the sport. You know,
like one hundred percent are more excited and comfortable for
the three point contest and like she's gonna now.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
She was the only rookie in it, so yeah, yeah,
in two.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
Three years when she's the VET and there's a rookie
like she'll maybe do the same thing, and like it
just kind of like passing the torch down and helping
the competition evolve year after year and feel confident, because
that's like half the battle with any professional sport. You
got to you gotta feel confident what you're doing.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
That is very true. And I think also in any
job company, not just sports, when you get an example
like that, then you tend to continue it on, like
you said, and so it's nice to see a good
example because the opposite could be true also, you can
get a negative example and then so it was it
was really nice to see that. So that was very fun.

(10:05):
And then tonight the game from Indianapolis Team Clark versus
Team call Yer. Clark will not be in it, however,
she has a groin injury. But it should be fun.
I'm excited about it.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
I'm excited about it. They added that new four point shot, which,
like Sabrina Yonescu is probably going to be shooting more
four points than layups in the first quarter. Like, I'm
not gonna be surprised if we see more fours than.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
You get two. You get two per half, Okay, so
we'll get two, will get two in each halt, and
that'll be I think she'll make.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
But like, if you could, I think that they should
add it to the game. I think so too.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
They're definitely be that would be Could you imagine, like
in the w NBA Finals, the NBA Finals, in those
last minute, if you could hit a four point shot,
what that would do? That would be tremendous.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
That would be so much fun. It's just going to
be interesting to see, Like who attempts it? Yeah, are
they all gonna like if you have an open three,
are you going to step back to try to get
to the four?

Speaker 2 (11:00):
I think competitively you have to, and this is the
time to do it. It's an all star game.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Well, that's the thing that I love about the WNBA
and how we've seen it continue to evolve over the
past couple of seasons. It's like they're testing the boundaries
and the fans are loving it. Like it's kind of
why they're having this big cultural movement is because they're
listening to fans say like, oh, it's you know, boring,
or it's this or that. It's like, okay, well, how

(11:24):
can we make it more interesting? And even just with
the fits too, it's like they're becoming fashion icons. People
are watching the WNBA because they're getting to know these
individual players. They're looking to them, what is Page wearing,
What is Caitlin Clark wearing? How can I kind of
replicate them? And like, for these young girls, how can
I dress just like them? And that's why we love

(11:46):
NBA players, That's why we love any professional athlete, and
IFEL players you want to see what they're wearing.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
Absolutely, it's really just MLB players on a daily basis.
But at the MLB All Star Game we'll talk more
about that later. Those red carpet fits were fantastic. I
think the sports and fashion crossover has been really fun
to watch. I mean, you've got like Joe Burrow and
Paris fashion shows, which is kind of fun. Step On
Diggs like that's kind of fun to see, and so

(12:11):
it makes sense that the WNBA are doing it too.
It's been great and I don't know how people can
say this is boring, Like, watch it, it's not boring.
A tremendous talent on them.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
You're saying it's boring and you're turning off the TV
before you can even watch five minutes. Yes, you're shutting
the book before it you even get to the good part.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
I was at a conference earlier this week and one
of the panelists said that she thinks it's funny, not funny, haha,
but funny that people will come on talk sports talk
shows and be like, I mean, I don't watch the
w NBA, but here are my thoughts. Well, oh my god,
that's just silly. But watch the All Star Game tonight,
you guys. It's gonna be so good. Who do you

(12:50):
think is going to win?

Speaker 3 (12:52):
Well, okay, we didn't even talk about the biggest part.
Caitlin Clark is not playing, yeah, which is like, it's
just a huge blow to Also, her week is supposed
to be a place for fans to get to see
their stars, and she is there, She'll she'll be there Sideline. Yeah, coaching,
but ticket prices dropped what like almost fifty percent after
the news that she wasn't going to play. She is

(13:13):
such a big part of the WNBA, it's almost like
it kind of hurts it when she's not there, right,
Like that's amazing for what she can do, but it's
almost like, oh, I wish you weren't that big a
part of it because now we're getting like the reverse effect.
We need other people. So it's not just her carrying
the league on her back. But I mean, if she

(13:34):
was playing, definitely her team, we'll see how she can
be as a coach.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Well you know what that is where to see a
new skill set. Something tells me she's going to be
good at it because she seems to be really good
at everything that she does. You guys, we have so
much more to talk about today, so stay right here.

I just like, I just went.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
I'm very impressed. I know we both have been having
a little bit of trouble getting our words out today.
Thank everybody for bearing with us here. But that was impressive.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Trace, thank you, thank you very much. You know what
else is impressive? You know, transitions are like my favorite
part of this. You're so, what else is impressive? Being
the highest paid non quarterback in the league and the
highest pig guard of the league. You guys were talking
Tray Smith and TJ. Watt. NFL training camps are upon
us and leading into it. Some guys got paid this
week and well deserved.

Speaker 3 (14:56):
I've got some thoughts on this, please do. TJ. Watt
is the best, one of the best, if not the best,
at his job. What he does deserves to get paid
for sure. I've just I need to see results from
the Steelers this season. I am sick of them starting
the season strong. They always like, get us on their side.

(15:18):
This is the year, this is the Steelers. I love
Mike Tomlin. I think he does a great job. Never
had a losing season yet. But what's happening after Thanksgiving?
What's happening in the.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
Playoffs, because that's when it matters.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
And I understand that you want to be this defensive
team and pay TJ. Watt. He one hundred percent deserves it,
Let's not get that wrong. But what does this mean?
What what is Aaron Rodgers going to do on offense?

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Well that is the multimillion dollar question, and nobody knows.
I mean, I just don't know, I think, And maybe
this is unfair to Aaron Rodgers' words. I didn't think
I was going to utter today, but I just don't
have high hopes based on what we saw in New York.
But that being said, he was obviously coming off a

(16:05):
major injury the Jets, and things often tend to just
go wrong there, so maybe this is a really good
thing for him. I think it's also be good for
him to have a coach like Mike Tomlin who's like, yeah,
I'm not doing this with you, you're gonna do what.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
I think Mike Tomlin's gonna say that.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
I do. I think that's part of the deal. I don't.
I do not see Mike Tomlin being like, sure, Aaron,
whatever you say. I just don't.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
I hope you're right. I hope you're right because I
think there needs to be a little from everyone, right.
I don't think Mike Tomlin should have full say. I
don't think Aaron Rodgers should. But I think there needs
to be a little push and pull, like give and
take kind of situation for it to work. Because again,
Mike Tomlin loves to run the ball. They like are
that AFC North is like hard gritting football. We are
gonna run down your next That's not really what Aaron

(16:49):
Rodgers game is the best passer in the league. So
how is that gonna How is that gonna fit together?
And then we talk about TJ. Watt, who, Yes, you
need defense to win championships. We all know that. But
would I have loved them to suspend some of their
money getting him a couple more weapons on offense? Maybe?

Speaker 2 (17:08):
Yes, But this is the thing with the salary cap.
There's only there's only so much well, it's interesting when
you talk about you know, that's not Aaron Rodgers' game.
Maybe that will be the difference for them. Maybe that
makes them not fall apart after Thanksgiving that they now
have two things that they are going to be able
to do and do well. Maybe Aaron Rodgers, maybe big,

(17:30):
maybe get some over that.

Speaker 6 (17:32):
Hub.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
I totally agree with you what you're saying, but like
what I'm gonna say to that is, you need to
be able to put up the points that Dereck Henry
and Lamar Jackson are going to be. Yeah, you need
to be able to put up the points that Joe
Burrow and Jamar Chase and t Higgins are going to do.
And they have Terray Hendrickson on defense. You know, like,
how are you gonna the AFC North is going to
be so competitive and how are the Steelers going to

(17:53):
fit in?

Speaker 2 (17:55):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (17:55):
That's my question is like one hundred percent tj wat
should get paid and hopefully that is the security blanket
for Aaron Rodgers. But it's just how are they going
to arrange the money elsewhere for them to still be
competitive on offense as competitive as Baltimore and Cincinnati.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Well, and when you put it that way, and there's
very likely that the Steelers finish fourth in the division.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
I think they'll finish above Cleveland.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
But oh yeah, I forgot about Cleveland. They'll definitely finish
above Yeah.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
I mean, who knows. Maybe Shure Orck Sanders goes out
there and shuts everybody up.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
Maybe, But Cleveland is a little bit like the Jets,
where it just.

Speaker 3 (18:27):
Never it never works. But the other thing that when
I was looking into this deal, which, as you mentioned
off off microphone, that a lot of news happened in
the NFL. What does this mean for Micah Parsons. That's
the thing that is really interesting. And like this NFL
situation where people are getting paid and waiting on other

(18:49):
players in their position to get paid, right, it's kind.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Of like cowboys are big on that.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
Yeah, so do it all the time. But like, is
that the right thing? Because now you're gonna have to
pay Micah Parsons. He's gonna more than what TJ. Watt got, Yeah,
and does he deserve it? Like if you put Micah
Parsons and TJ. Watt next to each other, right, do
you think they're equivalent?

Speaker 2 (19:10):
That's a good question. I don't know that. I think
they're equivalent. I do think Michael Parsons is excellent his job,
but this is kind of the way of the NFL
and how it's going now. Is that now that this
contract and he's gonna get more. We've seen it with
a number of quarterbacks. Like I said, the Cowboys really
seem to enjoy this way of doing things. I don't
understand why. I don't either, but he probably he probably

(19:31):
will get more, even if it's just that little bit more.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
Right like forty two or whatever. Right, But I don't
think he deserves more. I think TJ. Watt is a
generational franchise player. He is a game changer, right, Like
when you're playing and I cover a lot of AFC North,
and whenever I'm talking to Cincinnati or Baltimore and they're
going up against the Steelers, TJ. Watt's name is said
multiple times throughout the conversation. You have to prepare for
him more so than any other player, aside from maybe

(19:58):
like Chris Jones in the NF. Right, like, he can
completely change a game, have the opportunity. I don't necessarily
think Micah Parsons is there. He's much younger, right, like
maybe he still proves himself in these next couple of
years and you're gonna pay him the same.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
Yeah, you're right, because he is definitely not a game changer.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
And the Cowboys again a team that needs some stars.
They need help, and you're wasting your money now on
or not wasting it, but you're gonna have to assign
a lot more money than you probably wanted to to
this player.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
Yeah, you're one hundred percent correct. It'll be interesting to
see how that plays out.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
Yeah, it's gonna think it's like, maybe sign these players earlier.
But I'm not a GM. I don't know. I'm all owner.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
I mean, based on this conversation, I think you could
be a GM because she you, Tracy, You're welcome.

Speaker 3 (20:44):
You know.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
I try to be really support and encouraging, but I
do I do agree with you on that. And it's
crazy that we're here this NFL season. To me, and
maybe we have we forget every year. But I feel
like there's just a lot of interesting things to be
looking at, Like are some of these teams that have
really struggled to the pass are they going to get better?

Speaker 5 (21:05):
Like?

Speaker 2 (21:05):
Are the Jets really going to turn a corner? And
start building towards the future. How is Ben Johnson going
to do in Chicago? Did their off season moves help?
There's so many things. Obviously the Steelers, the Steelers feel
like the biggest one, but it's a lot to think
about in the season.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
There's just so many question marks, right like, what is
should or Sanders going to look like in the NFL?
What is Travis Hunter going to look like? That's Tim
Ward like, There's so many question marks. And I think
we get to this point where we have been dying
for NFL games and we're almost there. We're almost not
We're almost able to stop talking about this.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
We we almost are. But you know what I'm dying for?
An update from the great Martin Lice.

Speaker 6 (21:43):
Well, don't you know it'll be okay. Bottom of the
sixth ending the Giants with a two to nothing lead
over the Blue Jays. Top of the first inning, Red
and the Mets out of that rain to like scoreless,
so as they're just getting started to play home taking
the mount for the Mets' home tecond amount of the match.
The middle of the second any Marlins with a one

(22:04):
nothing lead over the Royals and the WNBA getting ready
for the WA All Star Game getting started at eight
thirty tonight. Caitlyn Clark won't be playing. She is going
to be coaching the team helping out the Indiana fever.
I'm sorry, the New York Liberty head coach Sandy Brontello
is that's the team she'll be coaching. In Minnesota's Cheryl
Reeve is coaching team Fista Collier.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
So Caylen Clark will be.

Speaker 6 (22:27):
There, will be involved, and will be a part of
the broadcast, but not a part of the festivities tonight.
In the open right now around three, Scottie Scheffler with
a bogie three to sixty seven, including an eagle on
the seventh hole. He is moving into a commanding four fourteen.
He's got fourteen under. He's got a four to nothing
to get it. He's four under today. Hey tong Lee

(22:48):
is four shots back, mattch Kirkpatrick is five behind, while
Roy McRory eight back.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
He still has his chances.

Speaker 6 (22:54):
He shot a sixty six today, Tyroll Hatton, Chris got
her up and Harris English also trailed by six and
Northern Ireland back to you guys.

Speaker 2 (23:04):
Thank you very much, Martin. You can stream this show

(23:26):
and it will always pop up at the top of
your screen. Bridget, you mentioned we have missed the NFL
even though it doesn't really feel like there's been an
off season, but lots of stories this week training camps.
We've got people who reported, We've got teams who have reported,
and we are going to talk to our guest, Steve
Weisch of the NFL Network, who is here to join

(23:48):
us and talk a little bit NFL with us. Steve,
Welcome to the show.

Speaker 5 (23:52):
Bridge and Tracy, thanks for having me. I hope everybody's
doing well.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
We are doing well. We are both very excited to
talk to you. Bridget and I were just talking about
the Steelers, and I'd like to open with that and
get your thoughts. I don't think anyone knows the league better.

Speaker 4 (24:04):
Than you do.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
They've obviously just paid TJ. Watt, What are you expecting
from this team?

Speaker 5 (24:11):
Well, you know, it's interesting because you know, you see
that they pushed all the chips in the middle, you know,
going out making the trade for Jalen Ramsey, signing Aaron Rodgers,
going on fan big Bucks, a DK Metcalf fan big
Bucks at TJ. Watt, I'm expecting them to be good,
but you know, you still have to wonder are they
good enough to get past the elite teams in the AFC.

(24:33):
I mean, you know, you've got Kansas City, You've got Buffalo.
I think Denver is going to be really, really good
this year. The Chargers could be really good, you know,
and just in their division? Are they Are they better
than the Ravens. I don't think we can sit here
with all the moves that they've made and say, wow,
the Steelers. You know, I expect them to win the
AFC North. I still think the Ravens are the team

(24:54):
to beat, but you know, the Steelers would probably be
plus five hundred again. Oh, they paid a lot of
money to a lot of players and made a lot
of moves hoping that they can get to the Super
Bowl this year.

Speaker 3 (25:06):
We were just kind of talking about that, Steve, and
just so great to hear your voice. I'm so excited
to see you next week. It's been a long time
that I haven't heard the great Steve White. So I
want to ask you about the money that the Steelers
have spent. It feels like TJ. Watt is a player
that deserves the amount he got paid, right, But does
Aaron Rodgers have enough on offense with what they're doing

(25:28):
financially to help this team win a playoff game?

Speaker 5 (25:32):
I think so. I mean, look, they that offensive line
has improved. The running back situation. Will see, they went out,
they drafted the big running back out of Iowa. They've
got some talent at the skilled position because it's it's
dk Metcalf. We'll see how they fortify on the other side.
But I mean they've got pieces there and they've got

(25:53):
a system there.

Speaker 3 (25:54):
I think.

Speaker 5 (25:54):
You know, you know, they went on they got John
and Smith as part of the Jalen Ramsey trade. He
got a lot of history with Arthur Smith, the offensive coordinator.
So you know, look, the one thing the Steelers have
done two things that are very uncharacteristic. One, they just
went out and crazy signed a lot of outside talent,
which they typically don't do. And then they've kind of

(26:16):
made their offense because of Aaron Rodgers almost like a
pass first offense. I won't say that, but the money
they spent to enhance their passing game is something that
the Steelers don't do. I mean, they're they're a run
first team, a wide receiver draft and developed type of team.
So you know, again, will will see. I think if

(26:38):
Aaron Rodgers is healthy, I think they're going to be
good enough. I think their defense is going to be
really good. Their defensive line should be a lot better.
But again, you just, you just I really like the Steelers.
When you look at the rest of the af seed,
you even you ask yourself, either even a top five
team on paper, let alone on the field.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
Well, it's going to be interesting to see how that goes.
Let's talk about another team in the AFC. The Chiefs
signed Trey Smith this week. It was a big it
was a big week for some big signings. But I've
saw some stuff this week. I'm really interested that people
think maybe this is the first year since Patrick Mahomes
is quarterback that they don't win the division. What are

(27:21):
your thoughts on that. I can't decide.

Speaker 5 (27:22):
I'm up in the air, so I'm going to ask you, well,
I mean, look, I think it's kind of the law
of averages. People are asking, well, they can't keep winning
and winning and winning and winning, especially when we saw
the Chargers in the Broncos make the playoffs last year
and the Broncos again. They look really strong, which on
the moves they've made. They've got a good offensive line,
their defense has a ton of face mask bending players

(27:43):
Tracy notice from covering him. They added Drake Greenlaw, who
is such a good player at linebacker. They added Talano Kufenga,
They draft a stud corner slash slat corner. And then offensively,
bon Nicks. You know, I saw him play a couple
of times in person. I am a huge Bonis man.
I think he's a really, really good player. And on

(28:05):
top of some of the other additions they've made, they've
changed out their offensive backfield. They draft R. J. Harvey
at the UCF like that's a really that's a really
dangerous football team. And then there's the Chargers. To me,
the Chargers are going to be good, but I still
wonder if they've got that you know enough explosiveness. You know,
they they they're changing their backfield some you know with

(28:27):
Najie Harris with that fire works into them if that
takes him out of the loop at all. But do
they have enough big play explosive play guys, you can
take a six yard game into a sixty yard game.
I still don't know if they're there yet. But they're
a problem as well. But I mean when it comes
to Kansas City, they've got the best quarterback they still have,

(28:48):
they still have got a great defense, and until some
one knocks them off, you know, they're still the team
to beat. I mean you we continue to talk about
all we want about the Broncos and Chargers and and
the Raiders are to be better. Let's not forget about them.
They're going to be better. But until someone can mentally
get over that Kansas City hump, you know, there's still

(29:08):
They're still the Kings of the Hill.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
I've covered the Chargers for the past five seasons and
I'm right there with you, Steve. It's it's such a
mental game for these teams to be able to go
in and say I can beat this team. I want
to stay in the AFC West and ask you about
Pete Carroll in Vegas. You mentioned Vegas is going to
be better. What is Pete Carroll going to be able
to do because they're a team too that has a
lot of mental hurders they need to get.

Speaker 5 (29:28):
Over well with them. I mean, the one thing that
where the Raiders are different than all the other clubs
is in the atmosphere and they're building, right, They're one
of a few teams that still they really hang on
to the just when baby commitment to excellence. They they've
yet to kind of step out of the shadow of
their deep past, and I think Pete Pete's one of

(29:53):
the guys are going to be able to do it
because look, the last couple of years, there's been so
much negativity, you know, even from the coaches, and you
know from Josh McDaniels, you know Rich Pasacia, you know
turned things around as an interim, but there's been so
much uncertainty. There so much uncertainty a quarterback. Well, they've
got a very positive head coach in Pete Carroll, who's

(30:14):
great at developing talent. You look at those Seahawks teams, right,
remember think about that league in the Boom defense. You
had only one first round draft pick on that defense,
and that was safety Earl Thomas. You think about the
offenses that Pete Carroll had in Seattle, look at his
wide receivers Doug Baldon and Jermaine Kurse. I may be wrong,
but I think both of them were undrafted players. So
he's a great developer of talent. He's got a really

(30:36):
good staff. So now he's got a quarterback and Gino Smith.
They've got some talent at the skill position. You know,
running back, we know tight end with Rock Bowers, they're loaded.
We think wide receiver, you got Jakobe Myers, maybe Jack
Betch comes around. It's just on defense right now. You
can see they put their commitment on developing the offense
defensive that they got some players. But then they go

(30:58):
out and they sign like linebackers Jermaine Pratt, Newlands and
Roberts tackling machines, the guys that their previous team decided
where we're expendable, Christian Wilkins not being a big money
free agent last year out with that foot injury for
a while. I think they're going to be better, I think,
But does that translate into ten wins? Not everyone in

(31:20):
that division. Canna have ten wins. That's gonna be the
toughest division from top to bottom. So we'll see, but
they will be better under Pete Carroll.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
So turning into the NFC, I've seen so many people
kind of crowned Jade and Daniels now one of the
league's top ten quarterbacks. And he was tremendous last season,
absolutely tremendous, and I don't see any reason that he
would necessarily falter.

Speaker 3 (31:40):
But do you expect there to.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
Be any kind of slump for we a little bit
early in our enthusiasm about him being one of the
top ten quarterbacks Anaville, I think.

Speaker 5 (31:49):
He's gond be better. I think he's going to be better.
They went on, they got him Maarony Tunsell, they went on,
they got him, Deebo Samuel. You know, they'll get the
Terry mclaurrn contract situation taking care of. You know. I
just think they're going to be able to do more
things under center now. He allowed them to do a
lot last year. He came in very polished. A lot

(32:10):
of people I speak to their you know, just talk
about how he was able even in training camp early
in his career, to make the right check call at
the line of scrimmage when they were intentionally trying to
fool him with certain things. You know, I wouldn't expect
him to run as much, but I think he can
be better because look, I think their defense is going

(32:31):
to be better. At Von Miller signing, like, don't I
don't underreact to that, right, they had a defensive line
that's built to stop the run. And speaking of someone there,
you know, they were like, look, we got in situations
last year where teams weren't second five and third and
two all the time. We can't keep putting our defense
in situations like this. So they want so on first

(32:52):
down the way they build their defensive line. Okay, let's
get a team a second nine known passing situations. Then
we've got guys who can take the ball all the way.
Now we've got more a healthy Marshaun Lattimore, Mikey Singer
still is a player. They've got some guys safety who
they really really like. So I think overall, with a
team being better and him having more opportunities to make plays,

(33:14):
I think you Dan is going to be even better
than he was.

Speaker 3 (33:16):
As a rook all right, See real quick, I got
to ask you saying in the NFC East about the
Cowboys and what the TJ. Watt deal means for Michaeh Parsons,
who needs a contract, and what can we expect from
the Cowboys legitimately this season.

Speaker 5 (33:32):
I think it'll be better offensively. Michael Parsons is going
to get paid because the Cowboys always wait for other
people to set the market, So Mike is going to
get paid a ton of money. I expect him to
be a training camp. But I think the Cowboys will
be better usually will me count them out when they
play well. And from people on the league you talked
about Brian Schottenheimer, they think he's going to be a

(33:53):
really good head coach.

Speaker 2 (33:56):
Fantastic. Thank you so much, Steve. Looking forward to seeing
you at a press box very very soon. Thank you
so much for a bye. This is Fox Sports Saturday,
fully just dancing here as we come back to you.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
I've been waiting for this music.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
God, it's so good, it's so good, and it's just
the energy. I love it. Tracy Sandler bridget Connon coming
to you from Fox Sports Radio Studios, and it is
time for from the club. From the club, Yes there too,
and it is time for the dues and the don'ts high.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
I love that putting a spotlight.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
On the dot the subject brings me no joy.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
That's insane.

Speaker 1 (34:37):
It's time for the dues and the dons in sports.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
All right, bridget I am actually going to start with
this one because it's about one of my most favorite
humans that walks there in football, and that would be
Jim Harbond. Jim Harbaugh, don't ever change. Do always say
the same, so I guess if they do and a don't.
Earlier this week, Jim harbor is press conference, Daniel Popper

(35:01):
from The Athletic tweeted the following, Jim harbaud just spent
about five minutes detailing all twenty two foul balls. He's
caught his life, he said. In high school, Barry Bonds
nearly hit for the cycle off of him. He talked
about meeting seven presidents in Pope Francis. First practice starts
in thirty minutes. We are very back and that is
the most Jim Harbaugh press conference. Unfortunately the chickens were

(35:23):
not mentioned. But other than that, I love it. Do
always be Jim harback.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
Tracy, this is funny that you mentioned talking about somebody
that you are in love with because I thought we
were about to have the same ones, because I have
one for you. Oh my gosh, don't be with Tracy Sandler.
When sho hey Otani gets passed up on an award
for an award fair He obviously was up for an

(35:48):
award at that big award show this past week for
Best Male Athlete and lost to SGA, and Tracy was
upset about it.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
Well, I mean, I'm just saying, if you're gonna go
like fifty nine fifty four, break tremendous wrecords and then
go and win a world Series with your team and
your first year with the team, I'm just saying, that
feels to me like fail out here. I'm just saying,
I mean the record breaking alone, but you know whatever,
his dog could throw out a first pitch. I'm just saying,

(36:20):
I just feel it was no offense to SGA. It
just felt like it should have been showhy. And I
know I'm biased.

Speaker 3 (36:27):
Nobody would be able to tell no I no one
be able to.

Speaker 2 (36:30):
Tell it all that I'm just a little bit biased.
But I'm glad you brought that up because I was.
I was peeved with someone, You were angry, you were angry,
A little bit angry. You'd be a little bit angry.
Oh well, uh, do go all out with your Super
Bowl ring, you guys. The Eagles debut at their Super
Bowl ring. It is pretty amazing. First of all, there's

(36:51):
a little hitt and button that you press it and
wings extend on either side of it, and it reveals,
as saying of coach Nick Sirianni, you can't be great
without the greatness of others. It has forty points of
diamonds in World Champions for the forty points scored against
the Chiefs, five diamonds on the special feature button representing
the five players who scored in the Super Bowl, a
carot of Marquee shaped diamonds. I could go on and on,

(37:13):
but this ring is a plus.

Speaker 3 (37:17):
All right? Do I got another? Do do be alone?
O mar and inspire girls of all sizes. She won
an award this week and her speech was amazing. If
you haven't listened to it, I encourage you to go listen.
She said, strongest, beautiful, strong, as powerful, sexy as whatever
you want it to be. Sports does amazing things for

(37:37):
a girl who didn't understand why her body looked the
way it did, and I have to say, in a
world full of ozepic, having a woman like her with
a beautiful body might just be different than what you
see on social media. Encouraging people young athletes to be
proud of who they are. That is what we need,
not filters and crazy edited images online. We need real

(38:01):
people saying you can do whatever you want, regardless of
what you look like.

Speaker 2 (38:06):
And when she said that a girl who didn't understand,
you know, why her body looked like this, and that
how sports gave her so much confidence, that that personally
really spokes me. I think speaks to so many girls
because we've all been brought up to believe that one
thing is beautiful and I think, you know, we all
as women probably go through something and I certainly dealt

(38:28):
with many a body image issue in my life. And
when she said that, that just really spoked me. She
I know, we talked about it earlier and you just
said it, but she just was truly tremendous, and seeing
her in person, talking to her, hearing her speech in person,
it's just as much as I liked to reform, it
just gave her up to another excellence.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
We need more of her And I got size ten
feet Tracy, these things are not what you see on
the runway, and she told me, hey, keep rocking those.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (38:56):
See I love that. That's amazing. That is amazing. All right,
I have a do shoot your shot. We talked about
it earlier the Puka Takua TikTok, but it was a
little bit nervous to ask. And then I was like,
what's the worst that happens? He says no, And that's
a good thing in life. I'm not saying, go ask
a lot of out of pocket things, but in life,
shoot your shot. In sports, actually it's obviously it's a

(39:18):
sport preference in your job because you just never know,
and if you hear a no, the world is not
going to come to it.

Speaker 3 (39:26):
All right, do be obsessed with the WMBA and the
way they're showing out. It's okay. It's okay to admit
that these women have swag. Their stylists are working overtime
getting them from the red carpet to the orange carpet,
and it is okay to like women's sports. How many
times do I have to say it? We support women
here on the show, and you should too, because what

(39:46):
they are doing is a cultural movement in the w
and you don't want to be missing what they're doing.
The train is on on the trucks and it's taken off,
and you better get off of the bench and hop
on because this is only the beginning and you don't
want to you don't want to miss out.

Speaker 4 (40:03):
Girl.

Speaker 2 (40:03):
That is a mic drop from Bridget. Do tune into
wa WNBIL Star Game tonight and do stay right here
because we'll be right back with you for Fox Sports Saturday. Hello,
and welcome back to Fox Sports Saturday. I'm Tracy Sandler
here with Bridget Condon. We've been talking all kinds of

(40:23):
things on the show. WNBA NFL fits all of the things,
but we're gonna transition now to Major League Baseball. There
was another All Star game this week. It was on Tuesday.
It was really fun actually the way that it ended.
But bye bye All Star break. Hello second half of
the season. But first I got asked you did you

(40:45):
like the whole swing off?

Speaker 3 (40:46):
I liked it. I mean, what a fun fun way
that was a first ever if I'm correct, I know
you will fact check me, Tracy Sandler, No, you're right,
how fun was that? Kyle Schwarber perfect three for three
to get the MVP. I mean, fireworks, baby, how what
more could you?

Speaker 2 (41:00):
I don't think you could want anymore? It was, it
was awesome. And now though now the fun really begins
because you have something to say.

Speaker 3 (41:09):
I can see different definitions for fun. For sure. I
saw Kirsen Watson this week and I was like, girl,
how are you doing? And for people who don't know,
Kirsen Watson is the Dodgers reporter. Because baseball tracy so long.
It is a long season. It is eighth When did
they play in Japan? March?

Speaker 2 (41:28):
March?

Speaker 3 (41:28):
Opening day was in March, okay, And we are in July,
and we're halfway done.

Speaker 2 (41:35):
We are a little So here's a fun fact. I
for many years, up until about two days ago, when
someone told me I was wrong, I thought the All
Star Game was truly like right halfway there. It turns
out we're a little more halfway there.

Speaker 3 (41:51):
What like a couple games.

Speaker 2 (41:52):
Well, I think we're even more than that, because we're
a little bit more halfway there. And I can ask
chat schiebt it a minute, exactly how many more games
there are to go? We loved too, but it is
a little more than halfway I'm not saying it's not long.
There's still and for teams that go into the playoffs,
go deep into the playoffs, go the World Series, they're
miles to go. But I only want to bring that
up because I just learned this the other day, because

(42:15):
I was like, oh, it'll be exactly eighty one games.

Speaker 5 (42:18):
It was not.

Speaker 3 (42:19):
It just feels like, as you would say, a marathon. Yeah,
I'm not a sprint, but this is the time where
I would say you are a die hard baseball fan.
This is correct for someone like me. I was a
die hard growing up, but now I'm so focused in
the NFL. Not a diehard baseball fan by any means,

(42:39):
I will say, as fans like me, though, this is
the time that gets exciting when we turn the calendar
into the fall and the games really matter. So maybe
that's what we could be excited about.

Speaker 2 (42:50):
I think it is what we should be excited about.
And so looking at where we are understandings, there's a
lot of stakes. So right now, the Phillies hold a
half game lead over the Mets in the NL East.
The Cubs hold a one game lead over the Brewers
in the NL Central. The Dodgers hold a four and
a half game lead over the Padres. These races are

(43:11):
really really close, and it will make for very exciting baseball.
And then over in the American League, the Blue Jays
have a three game lead over the Yankees, the Tigers
are running away with the American League Central, the Astros
of four game lead over the Mariners. So I think
it does make this second half ish of the season
very exciting to watch. Then so much will ride on

(43:35):
the trade deadline, which is July thirty. First, we are
less than two weeks away. So MLB trade deadline to me,
maybe even more so than an NFL. MLB trade deadline
is just bananas. To me, it's just absolute madness, I
feel like, and I cover the NFL trade deadlines, don't
want to say that, I don't say it lately, but
just feels like absolute madness. And all these teams that

(43:57):
I'm talking about, some of them are one or two
players away from really making a run or not really
making a run, and so it's gonna be kind of fun.
Who I know, you are not quite as die hard,
and that's totally fair because few are. But as you
look at some of these races or some of these
players that are potentially available. What excites you?

Speaker 3 (44:19):
Well, first I need to go rewind a couple seconds
for chat told us, oh please wait chat. We got
to bring him back into the conversation as always. So
the teams have played about ninety five games, okay, and
that means there's about sixty seven on average. Obviously some
teams have played more, so I would say, yeah, you're right,

(44:41):
it is more than halfway, which yeah, okay.

Speaker 2 (44:45):
But again I was thursday years old when I learned this.

Speaker 3 (44:47):
So how did that even come up in conversation?

Speaker 2 (44:50):
I believe I was talking to someone about show He
probably shohio Tony's numbers. It's a safe bet that's what
it was, and that where he was halfway through the season,
and they were like last year, and it's he is
ahead of where he was last year in some places.
But the person I was talking to was like, well,
it's not really halfway. It's more than halfway through the season.

(45:11):
And that's how it all came up.

Speaker 3 (45:13):
When in doubt, I should just know that every conversation
that you're having relates back to show Heo TONI.

Speaker 2 (45:19):
I think it's a safe thing to always remember because
most conversations I'm having Do they relate back to show
Hao Toni, JJ McCarthy, Jim Harb, Jim Harbaugh and at
times Cody Bellinger, But not as much as it used
to be. But those three, it's pretty safe to say
somewhere they were involved in a conversation.

Speaker 3 (45:41):
Okay, all right, players that I might see on the move?
On the move? You and Genio? Am I saying that right? Suarez? I? No,
it's definitely not right. I don't know Genio Suarez.

Speaker 2 (45:54):
I think it's Eugenia that sounds more right.

Speaker 3 (45:56):
Sorry, Baseball is number four on my professional teams that
I fall. But anyways, he's currently third baseman for the Diamondbacks.
Yankees are looking for a big hitter. Could they be
after him? I've seen some articles that they're officially in
the mix for him in a big, blockbuster trade. I
would hate that being someone from Boston, but it would

(46:20):
be I don't even have anything positive to say. It
wouldn't be great to see him go, but you know,
could be a big one we see coming up.

Speaker 2 (46:27):
You brought up the Red Sox, and so I have
to mention, what are.

Speaker 3 (46:30):
You gonna say? If it's something negative, just play it.

Speaker 2 (46:32):
It's not. It's actually not negative or positive. It's just
I think it's just worth mentioning that Red Sox manager
Alex Korra was at the Coldplay concert in Boston.

Speaker 3 (46:41):
Johnny talk about that we can.

Speaker 2 (46:43):
Because I mean I just felt I saw that today
and I was like, Oh, that's kind of amazing.

Speaker 3 (46:49):
This has taken the world by storm. Yes, if you
haven't seen this, let me just give you a quick synopsis.
Shout out to Coldplay because I saw someone posts that
they haven't had a single in ten years and now
they have two. Yeah, if you haven't heard, there was
a couple allegedly a CEO and somebody else who worked

(47:10):
at the company I'm not even gonna put the company
name out there, who were caught having an affair at
the Coldplay concert. What happened is Coleplay was performing and
they were going around like you would see a kiss
cam at a NFL or whatever NBA game, and they
show this couple. The guy has his arms like around
the woman's neck or shoulders, and they're like swaying, they're smiling,

(47:31):
enjoying Coldplay like one does, and they quickly like move
out of the camera.

Speaker 2 (47:37):
Game ducks, which I think made everything so much.

Speaker 3 (47:39):
Here's the thing, like they could have handled this so
much better. They could have just like stood there. Who
would have known? No, But it's the fact that they
reacted and yes, he like ducked, she hit her face.
They turn around and it's so awkward in coldplay, like
they say, either you're not supposed to be here or
you're having an a fair or something like that. It
was so funny it happened at Fenway Park and now
all all these people with these viral memes that apparently

(48:03):
his daughter I don't even know if it's true, made
a TikTok about it, like so funny. Yeah, it's just
taken the world by storm. We should have done that
for the dos and don'ts don't have an affair at
cold Play?

Speaker 2 (48:14):
That I did think about doing that for a do
and don't, And then I want to bring a Alex Korra,
but I think we can bring it in as a
don't right now, don't have an affair at cold Play?
And I have to say this, I feel really bad
for their families. It's but the the viralness of this
has been unbelievable, I mean truly unbelievable, and maybe Another

(48:36):
don't is that if you are caught having an affair,
ducking out of the way and hiding your face makes
it really clear to everybody.

Speaker 3 (48:42):
Wants don't have an affair.

Speaker 2 (48:43):
Don't have an affair. That's a perfect don't. We'll start there.

Speaker 3 (48:45):
Also, I was way wrong on his name. It's a ohinio.
I'm so sorry.

Speaker 2 (48:50):
Oh we're back to it.

Speaker 3 (48:51):
Yeah, there's one thing about me is I'm gonna come
back and crack myself. I appreciate that don't have an affair,
Just don't. I mean, it's pretty simple.

Speaker 2 (49:00):
Either be married or be not married.

Speaker 3 (49:03):
A dog, as they would.

Speaker 2 (49:03):
Say, I mean, I think that's kind of offensive to dogs,
as you know, but as has been established.

Speaker 3 (49:10):
Like anyways, it's just a wild, wild thing that has happened.
And you know what, like this is a weird point
of the sports year, calendar year because MLB is on
a break, we have NFL hasn't fully started. I know,
some teams reported this week, and then you have NBA

(49:31):
is wrapped up w NBA All Star break and on
Wednesday though everybody was on a break, we need we
needed something. Oh my god, it like, thank goodness, how
was I gonna get through another sleepless night. I've been
searching Reddit, just like wondering what's gonna pop up. Thank
god I was able to deep dive into something so juicy.

Speaker 2 (49:50):
Yeah, it was very juicy. And then I think this
brings up another thing to think about. What the kiss cam?
How how do you handle the kiss Camp. I don't
have a problem with the kiss Can.

Speaker 3 (50:01):
I saw a report that like he wants to sue
Cold Play again. This is all alleged. I don't know
if it's true, but it's like we are in a
public space. Yeah, if you are sitting courtside, you know
going in that that you're going to be seen on camera.
I think I love the kiss Can.

Speaker 2 (50:17):
I love it too, so I want to know how
you would react if you and Landa said.

Speaker 3 (50:20):
If I wasn't having an affair, no, no, if you
were on the kiss camp with your husband, God, if
I was having an affair, then we are not in Nolan.

Speaker 2 (50:29):
I'm talking about kiss cam. If you're you're sitting there
with your husband at a game, I'll kiss them, Okay.

Speaker 3 (50:33):
I'm not going to go crazy like some of those people, because.

Speaker 2 (50:35):
Some people do some people crazy. Some people are very shy.

Speaker 3 (50:38):
I'll give him a little kiss. I'm not shy, like
i'll kiss them. But I thought you were asking me
how I would rock in the affair.

Speaker 2 (50:47):
No, definitely, definitely not.

Speaker 3 (50:50):
Are you a fan of the kiffs?

Speaker 5 (50:51):
Can?

Speaker 2 (50:52):
I think it's fun. I think it's fun. I think
it's funny. I think it's something that adds to games. Games,
as we know, have become more than games. It's entertainment.
And obviously the game is entertainment, but during timeouts, especially
during baseball, this is a big thing. But there there's
there's entertainment. I think it's fun. I have I have
no issue with it, but yet.

Speaker 3 (51:11):
Please, you know what I like more than the kiss cam?
What the simbacam? Have you seen? That charges to it
all the time. It's when you hold up your baby.

Speaker 2 (51:20):
Oh oh yeah, that's amazing.

Speaker 3 (51:21):
Oh my god, like more of that, less of kiss cam.

Speaker 2 (51:24):
I do like the whole up, like your baby looks
so cute.

Speaker 3 (51:27):
But then it's like, maybe we would I'm not even
gonna say it, that's just like crazy thought cross my mind.
So we're going to just move on.

Speaker 2 (51:34):
Okay. I don't know what your I can't even think
of what your thought was, so I think we can.

Speaker 3 (51:39):
Like I was just thinking, where could this go wrong?
Like a kiss cam went wrong for the Pomelin concert. No,
I can't.

Speaker 2 (51:47):
So I'll say something else about the Red Sox that
actually is about baseball. They're been playoff contention now and
yes they are tracy and a lot of people felt
like Alex Bregman was a potential piece of a trade
that could happen, and I said that so weirdly, But
Alex Bragman potentially could be traded. That is a much
better way to say that. But now off the table.

Speaker 3 (52:08):
The thing is, though, like the Red Sox already made
their major trade of the season, Like they need to
just chill and like continue this good, good energy, you know,
into the second half more than less than second half.

Speaker 2 (52:21):
So a player I find really interesting is Sandy Alkantara.
He is a seven point two to era. That being said,
because a number of other pitchers who people thought might
be on the trading block are now on teams that
are in contention. He is a hot prospect for teams

(52:42):
and I'm just very curious to see how this goes.
Because the trade deadline comes, it's like, oh yeah, we
got all Kantara and his seven point to er. But
I don't know. I just found that one really interesting.
But it just shows you talk about how long a
baseball season is. Over the course of the season, who
people thought were potential trade pieces a month ago, well

(53:03):
now they're not. The Brewers are killing it, especially every
time they play the Dodgers. So Freddy Peralta is no
longer potential trade trade uh trade piece, and which is
too bad because he's so good and I really wanted
the Dodgers to get him. But anyways, that is kind
of where we're at. But that's why we hear now
at Sandy L Kantara and at seven point two two
era being a hot commodity.

Speaker 3 (53:23):
Okay, you are the fan girl and you are a
huge Dodgers fan. Pitch to me, I'm I'm making the call.
Pitch to me, who you want them to go after
and why? Or who you want gone? And why? I
know somebody.

Speaker 2 (53:39):
I okay, I'm not gonna say anybody I want gone
why because I don't there's not really anyone. There is
someone there is, but I just I just I don't. Well,
how about I'll say what I'd like and so I
think that will help they've been having tremendous trouble with
their closer. Hmm, Okay, I'm just gonna say this name

(54:02):
is Tanner Scott. I'm sure he's a really, really great guy,
and I'm not saying I want him.

Speaker 3 (54:06):
Probably listening to the show right now, he might be.

Speaker 2 (54:08):
So I want him to understand I don't want him about.

Speaker 3 (54:10):
You personally, nobody about you performance.

Speaker 2 (54:12):
But also I don't want him gone. I just want
a different closer and Tanner Scott to be able to
come in earlier in the game, because I think he's
better in those situations. So I don't want him gone.
I just want someone else to come and be the
closer instead of him. That's you can say you want
him gone. I don't want him gone, though I really don't.

(54:34):
I don't want him gone.

Speaker 3 (54:35):
You think he has potential maybe.

Speaker 2 (54:37):
I mean, if he did go and they got someone
that was a better fit, I'm not gonna be upset
about it. But I can't say I want him gone.
But this is where the like Dodger fan of me
comes in, where it's like hard for me to say
that because I also care about people's feelings. Yeah, and
Tanner's obviously sorry. Tanner.

Speaker 3 (54:55):
Who would you want them to replace him?

Speaker 2 (54:57):
There is a Saint Louis reliever whose name is it
gave me So I'm gonna ask CHATCHBT because I think
he's a real possibility. So Saint Louis Cardinals.

Speaker 3 (55:09):
I just think people are gonna be such better fans
with the access of chat.

Speaker 2 (55:15):
Gpt on because then we can say this.

Speaker 3 (55:18):
Like it's like some guy comes into the game, you
have no idea who he is. Chat, who's this guy?

Speaker 2 (55:22):
Tell me it's back one hundred percent? It makes it
so okay, Ryan Helsley, that's who it is. So it
Ryan Helsley. It's a rumor that could happen. And it's
because Tanner Scott has been struggling seven blown saves this season,
which is not ideal. I don't mind telling you all
that two of them came in the few games before

(55:42):
the All Star break, and the second blown save the
Dodgers came back and won. But that's my feeling on
on Tanner Scott. But with that, you guys, stay right here.

just kidding. This is amazing. What do we got going
on over there?

Speaker 1 (56:33):
It's the mix?

Speaker 3 (56:34):
Yeah, just a meg? Did you make this? Saturday Afternoon Megs?

Speaker 7 (56:37):
I keep a running FSR weekend playlist on Spotify. It's
it still says twenty twenty two on it, but I've
been adding stuff over the years.

Speaker 3 (56:46):
Can you drop the link? I will have to figure
out how to share that. Yes, I need this for
my workouts.

Speaker 2 (56:51):
Yeah, it's really good.

Speaker 3 (56:52):
Every week pumped up there.

Speaker 7 (56:53):
There's been a lot of older stuff that needs to
be like cycled out of there, Like some of it's
like some harder rock stuff because I have to do
like multiple shows, like Jonas's show is always going to
have like a rock list and then like everyone else
gets like, you know, different things, so we kind of
go through.

Speaker 3 (57:07):
But yeah, I'll have to figure out how to share that.

Speaker 2 (57:09):
Well that please do because it is fantastic.

Speaker 3 (57:12):
This has got me fired up for the second half
of our show and fired up for the NFL season
that's about to kick off.

Speaker 2 (57:19):
Oh I got to kick off. Well done, Well done, Bridget.
Is there a storyline? And I though this sounds like
I'm asking you a rehearse question, I'm really not, but
I'm just curious. Is there a storyline other than the
ones we've discussed?

Speaker 3 (57:31):
Yeah, because Steelers obviously is.

Speaker 2 (57:32):
Steelers is such a big one. You know, we talked
to Cowboys Cheeves. Is there a storyline that you are
very interested that coming up this season?

Speaker 3 (57:42):
Well, I am heading to Baltimore this weekend. That's the
first camp that I'm attending, and that is a story
that is fascinating to me because when we look at
Lamar Jackson, the quarterback for the Ravens, he has won
the MVP twice since he was drafted there in twenty eighteen.
The Ravens have not had success in the postseason. They
have not reached the Super Bowl since twenty thirteen. It's

(58:04):
kind of crazy to think about when you think about
the top five quarterbacks. To me, Lamar Jackson is right
up there with Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes, but then
and Joe Burrow. Then to think about that he hasn't
been to the Super Bowl is kind of interesting, right,
And so I feel like the Ravens consistently on paper
look good, and their owner does a great job of

(58:25):
spending money in the right places. He's one of the
best in the business. But the fact that they signed
Derrick Henry last year and still fell short and even
shorter than they did the year before, to me, it's
kind of like now or never, right, Like what happens
if they don't get there? What happens to Harba, what
happens to Lamar Jackson? I mean, he's their franchise quarterback.
But with him and Derrick Henry in year two, I

(58:48):
think it's given the offense even more ability to come
up with these plays to trick defenses. Right, Like, just
in anything, when you do it your second year, you're
just that much more better, You're that much more comfort
you know, the playbook that much better. So I'm hoping
to see a big growth from year one to year
two with the duo of Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry.
But it's kind of like now or never.

Speaker 2 (59:09):
I agree with you, but I think it is now
and ever because otherwise they're going to have to make
a change somewhere because you can't just keep doing this year.

Speaker 3 (59:15):
And they've beefed up their offensive line and so they
got some people in the draft and hopefully that can
help too, give Lamar, you know, just that much more help.

Speaker 2 (59:27):
I agree, but I do agree it is now and ever.
It's going to be interesting to watch the AFC, nor generally,
as we've been discussing, is going to be a division
to watch AFC North, AFC West over in the NFC West.
Just when you thought the forty nine ers were going
to go into a off season no wide receiver drama,
no Oakentramia more, they are having a little wide receiver drama.

(59:50):
First of all, you had Juwan Jennings this week requesting
a trade or a new deal. So curious to see
how that plays out. Because he was a wide receiver
one last year. He is factors hugely into this year's offense,
but it's not as easy as it sounds because of
how dollars are allocated elsewhere on the team at the position.
But you have Brandon i a. Yuka is on pupp

(01:00:13):
and he's and we already know he won't be ready
to start the season. Ricky Pearsall is on the pup
list now, he could be activated anytime, so you know,
that's something to keep an eye on. And then we
have DeMarcus Robinson who has a pending suspension due to
a dui. They really need Juan Jennings to be on
the field for them, so they're gonna have to figure
it out somewhere. But it's something to keep an eye on.

(01:00:35):
Because the foreg Airs finally also had an off season
with no contract drama. They got brock Party done, they
got Fred Warner dune, they got George Kittle done. Look
like it was gonna be smooth sailing, but no Ite
is not. So that is something to keep an eye
on because otherwise I don't really know ho brock Pertty's
throwing too.

Speaker 3 (01:00:51):
It's gonna be interesting to see what Ricky Pearsoll kind
of does this season whenever he's ready, because he was
an emerging star for them, and he's just kind of
been through a lot to start his NFL career.

Speaker 2 (01:01:01):
He has been through so much. And I think something
that sometimes people forget is he was injured. But before
he got shot, he'd been injured and missed. He had
missed training camp and and much of the off season
program before that then.

Speaker 3 (01:01:15):
But he's the guy. They were really excited.

Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
They are they are, but he's now injured again. So
and he missed mini camp and he missed most of
OTA's So we're gonna have to see what happens. I mean,
if someone Jacob Cowing, they're very excited about this coming
into the season. They think he's made tremendous strides, But.

Speaker 3 (01:01:33):
How much are they going to miss Debo?

Speaker 2 (01:01:36):
Well that's I think that's a longer conversation. And first
I have to go to the man. I missed so
much last week, Martin wise to give us the sports,
so we.

Speaker 3 (01:01:43):
Can't him a lot of compliments. I think she missed
Deebo more.

Speaker 5 (01:01:48):
You know, I'll be honest.

Speaker 6 (01:01:50):
Sean Serania reporting the Washington Wizards about the miss markus
smart but not by much because they're buying him out.
So he'll be a now planning to sign a two year,
eleven million dollars deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. This
news comes after Smart was traded to the Wizards and
a multi team deal earlier last year. Twenty twenty two

(01:02:10):
Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart, who last you know,
was really bout around the NBA with Boston a couple
of years ago. Scotti Scheffler with a recorded a sixty
seven bogie free, taking commanding lead into the final day
of the twenty twenty five Open Championship. He's fourteen hundred
right now. If Scheffler won Sunday at Royal Port Rush,
it'll be his fourth major title and second this year.

(01:02:32):
Also placed him three fourthsted away to the career Grand Slam.
That's on Lea's four shots back, matter Patrick's five shots back.
Roy McElroy you know playing you know a couple not
too far from where he grew up. He's eight hundred
right now, shooting a sixty six tyro Hat and Chris
got her up and Harris English also trail by six
right now after the round ended in Northern Ireland. Earlier

(01:02:55):
this morning, in Major League Baseball, top of the fourth inning,
the Reds and the Mets tied to a piece. Bottom
of the sixth inning, Michael Waker is given up three
hits only on one run, but that run the difference
right there. One nothing marlined over the Royals and the
Blue Jays lead the Giants six to three in the
WNBA All Star Game. Gets ready to get going five,

(01:03:16):
I mean five eight thirty Eastern, five thirty Pacific. Caitland
Clark will be in the building. She will not be participating.
She's gonna help coach the team alongside New York Liberty
coach sandybron Dello. The other side is being coached by
Cheryl Reed, Minnesota's head coach. Best Team the Feasta Collier
versus Team Caitlin Clark, Saturday, eight thirty tonight on ABC.

Speaker 2 (01:03:38):
Back to you guys, Thank you very much, Martin. We
could be talking about the NFL for a very long
time here, So Bridget you asked me how much are
they going to the four? And is going to miss
miss Deebo Samuel And it'll be interesting. I mean, Debo
did not have a great season last year. The writing

(01:04:00):
was on the wall. He late in the season went
to social media. As for the ball more and the
next game he was, you.

Speaker 3 (01:04:07):
Know things are bad when they take to social media.

Speaker 2 (01:04:09):
Yes, it's that's always I feel like the beginning of
the last straw. But he asked he get the ball
more and the ball was then thrown to him and
he dropped it. So how much the misstivo is going
to be interesting.

Speaker 3 (01:04:23):
It's going to be interesting how he fits in with
Jaden Daniels. To me, I think he's going to fit
in well in DC. Terry McLaurin obviously is their number
one and waiting for waiting to get paid here. But
I think Debo will fit in well because they don't
like here's the thing with the forty nine ers, like
they have a lot of weapons on offense that are
kind of like star names.

Speaker 4 (01:04:42):
M hm.

Speaker 3 (01:04:44):
It feels like I don't know, maybe maybe his time
was kind of expiring.

Speaker 2 (01:04:48):
It definitely was. It was time for everybody to move on.
So I do think he will do well in Washington.
But now we are going to change gears and go
back to the wa NBA All Star Game. Alexa Ross
for reporter and anchor for CBS for an Indie and
Fox fifty nine News is here to tell us all
the Tea from Indianapolis, Alexa, welcome to show.

Speaker 4 (01:05:09):
Hey, thank you so much for having me. Excited to be.

Speaker 2 (01:05:11):
Here, absolutely so I'd love to start bight here. What
is the vibe check right now in Indianapolis? The excitement
level of all the festivities, so.

Speaker 4 (01:05:19):
To speak, vibe or high? I mean even the rain
couldn't really dull the excitement of today, because yes, I
mean yesterday was sunning, Thursday was fun. As events started.
The torrential downfource really did not deter a crowd or anybody.
They had to shut down some of the activations that
were outdoors. But what kinds about that? You know, people,
there are so many people in town representing every team

(01:05:41):
in the w obviously many many fager fans. You see
a lot of twenty two, you see a lot of seven,
You see a lot of zero for the three All
Stars locally, but you see every team represented. You see
so many people who have come into town. I've heard
so many accents just walking around, and I think something
that's so special about this city in particular is this
is the host city. It's very walkable. You've been here

(01:06:02):
for the NFL combine things like that. It is a
place that is equipped to hold people. Yes, and the
excitement and activation and fun and all of the things
that are here. It is so centered on women women
sports more so than basketball, but it's really bringing in
female fans and just kind of highlighting the joys of

(01:06:25):
girlhood here.

Speaker 3 (01:06:26):
One of my favorite parts about Combine and Indie is
the indoor tunnels. When it's freezing, you got there like
our indoor walkways. So who cares about the rain exactly?
Speaking of rain, hopefully that doesn't impact anybody's fit game
tonight for the fashion show. Let's call it that. We
saw that the other night. Angel Reese's outfit, like was incredible.

(01:06:49):
Who was your favorite player that dressed up? And like,
what is the fashion of the WNBA? What is that
like when these players come in? Like is the media
in awe as much as we are on social media?

Speaker 4 (01:07:02):
It is so funny you say that because I am
currently standing in the media holding area looking directly at
the orange carpet where everyone is walking in.

Speaker 3 (01:07:09):
Anyone, anyone would not at this moment.

Speaker 4 (01:07:12):
I'm waiting, but cameras are ready. I mean, the carpet
is packed. I will say I think my favorite outfit
of the weekend was Asia's burgundy orange carpet looked from
Thursday night. I thought that was stunning. I mean, when
you look like that, you can wear whatever you want. Obviously,
if I was a foot and a half dollar and

(01:07:32):
you know, I certainly would be doing the same thing.
But she looks she looked fabulous. I love how everybody
brings their personal style in such a beautiful way because
all of these women are so very different. You know,
you have some of our more mask women who are
wearing just like these incredible suits, tailored pieces, things like that.
You have someone like Asia who is so high glam.

(01:07:53):
Let me wear my you know, my dress was like
this gorgeous high split and things like that. And I'm
currently trying to say if anybody's walking in so far
not yet, but I do love to. I am trying
to keep you guys up to date. If I see
so I can report live as people walk in.

Speaker 2 (01:08:09):
Oh, we would absolutely love that. Thank you, Thank you
for that. Obviously. Four you're in Indianapolis, Caitlin Clark, huge
star in Indianapolis and beyond not playing, So with that
in mind, who are you kind of excited to see
that you haven't seen play yet?

Speaker 4 (01:08:24):
Live that's a great question, I think in terms of
everybody who is going to be represented on the floor.
I'm really interested to kind of see the replacements who
have come in for both Team Callier and Team Clark.
I'm also very interested to see how Aliah, Boston and
Asia playoffs of each other for four Team Clark because

(01:08:45):
obviously both Biggs Rough South Carolina too have don finest.
They have left their their fingerprints all over that program
and all over everything that's you know, everywhere there, and
of course this league you have two of the best
centers in this in this league doing that. So I'm
excited to see what a front board with the two
of them looks like because I remember Oliah saying that

(01:09:06):
her two welcome to the w moments when she was
a rookie was getting a major block by Asia and
then another one by Britney Griner.

Speaker 3 (01:09:17):
We've seen a lot of players come out and speak
lately about the officiating and lack thereof officiating in the
WNBA and how it's impacting players and so many players
are getting hurt because of it. What's the conversation around
that been like in Indianapolis and how much do you
think that's impacting the fact that Caitlin Clark isn't out there.

Speaker 4 (01:09:36):
You know, I think it's really hard when you have
a player like Caitlin who has been very on the
record about I don't want to play with minutes restrictions.
If I'm playing, I want to play, et cetera, et cetera,
et cetera. When you have somebody with such a fiery
competitive spirit like that, it's hard to keep someone like
that sitting and out and even though knowing you're the

(01:09:56):
face of this city's team and also the face of
a team in the All Star Game, there's you know,
I feel like it's a very unfortunate situation for her. However,
who better to that Sadie Brundello can have next to
her just sharing people on and firing people up, because
she is one of the loudest people I've ever seen
on a bench. She is one of the most fire

(01:10:17):
up people I've ever seen on a bench. She's missed,
she missed ten games, so I think she'll she's kind
of been in her element learning how to kind of
pump people up from the sidelines. But I do think
that the officiating has been problems all across the board.
In terms of how people what is being called, what
is not being called, and how we look at some

(01:10:40):
of these harder fouls that women are taking. Because people
are getting really seriously hurt, and people are getting really
seriously hurt, the outcome of games are being determined, and
I think that something's got to change if they want
to keep it going. However, tonight, that shouldn't be an issue.
No free throws, things like that. So there's going to
be among the rule changes for this All Star Game.
So there should be things that mitigate the possibilities of jury.

Speaker 2 (01:11:06):
You mentioned rule changes. We were talking earlier. The four
point basket. Crazy, Yeah, I mean, if you seen any
of it in practice? Is everybody talking about it? What
do you think about it?

Speaker 4 (01:11:18):
It's crazy? You know, they are pushed so far back.
They're so close to the logo. We see logo threes
all the time. That's not you know, that's a We're
all very customed to seeing them in this league. We
got some shooters out here. But to see the way
that that looks right now and to see them so
close to the logo, I'd love to see that in
regulation play, But I guess we're just gonna have to

(01:11:40):
deal with it tonight. See how many four pointers we
rack up?

Speaker 5 (01:11:43):
And I want to see here, you're.

Speaker 4 (01:11:44):
Betting odds on who's gonna it's the most, Probably Sabrina.
After winning another free point challenge, I.

Speaker 3 (01:11:50):
Would say, Sabrina, what is the We talked about this
a little bit when we first got you on a
couple of minutes ago, the reaction, the fan atmosphere. But
what momentum does having this All Star game bring for
the second half of the season.

Speaker 4 (01:12:05):
Oh, it's tremendous. I think that anytime you can get
all of these women together in a space where not
only are they able to be comfortable, but to be
able to have fun and reconnect with the love and
joy of the game, I think that's going to propel
us even further. Regardless of who's hurt, who's sitting, whatever,
there are so many opportunities for people to realize, Hey,

(01:12:26):
we have a lot of basketball left to play, and
this league is better for the competitive fires that we
all share.

Speaker 2 (01:12:35):
I have an in game fashion question I believe, and
Angel Rees I believe is premiering her one me bounds
rebox pink shoes. So if they speak to me immediately
and they look amazing. Is anybody else pre premiering is
not the right word, but premiering anything new as part
of their uniform tonight that you know of, Not that I've.

Speaker 4 (01:12:55):
Heard, but I am going to keep an eye out.
I will be fit checking like if nobody's business, both
on the carpet and also on the floor because one
of my favorite things about basketball is the shoe game.
I think that everyone all these women getting their very
well deserved signature shoes to be able to see them
come out. I'm so excited to see those pink shoes.
I call a picture of them, I think two and
a half three hours ago and I was just in

(01:13:17):
all I thought they were stunning, So I'm so excited
to see what they look like in action. Things like
that I saw keep the Nike activation was selling a
ones today. Just everybody is so ready to get there,
to be able for all these women to get the
deals that they so greatly deserve and have them be

(01:13:37):
showcased like this, and what should be one of our
highest watched All Star games is really special and really
exciting for all of them and great for the sport.

Speaker 3 (01:13:46):
Real quick, quick, one more question for you, just what
has the evolvement of the fans in Indianapolis been like,
especially like with the All Star Game now in India.
I know you've been covering the WNBA for a while now, you.

Speaker 4 (01:14:01):
Know what, this is my fourth season of WNBA coverage.
I've covered the Fever for a long time. I've covered
them through really bad losing stretches. I've covered them through
net making the playoffs for the first time and quite
some time. I've seen two back to back number one
overall picks with a Leah Boston and Caitlin Clark, and
it's just been such a joy to see not just

(01:14:21):
how women have reacted to the team and responded to
the team, but how everyone's embraced it. You can't go
and see children walking around without seeing little boys in
number two jerseys, for people wearing a Leah Boston's old
rebel jersey and things like that, And to me, I
think that's the most special thing because you can all
of these kids, regardless of their gender, regardless of what

(01:14:43):
they look like where they come from, are comfortable enough
to say, hey, you know what, I see what greatness
is and I can be.

Speaker 2 (01:14:51):
Bad fantastic Alexa, thank you so much for joining us. Today.
I am even more pumped for this game than I
was before talking to you, and gonna be keeping a
close eye on your chat coverage so we will be
very excited to see that. Thank you for joining us,

(01:15:36):
an end, but not by so fast. It goes by
so so fast, but not before we do our feel
good stories of the week. I started dos and dods,
so I will let you start feel good stories.

Speaker 4 (01:15:47):
Of the week.

Speaker 3 (01:15:47):
All right, Colson Loveland, have you heard this one? Don't
tell me it's yours.

Speaker 2 (01:15:51):
No, but it's just that you caught up one of
my favorite people ever.

Speaker 3 (01:15:54):
Oh did you hear what he did? Because if you're
not a fan, turn your radio up because you're about
to be a fan. I did, but tell everybody, Okay,
the Chicago Bears rookie tight End Steals Her went to
Michigan Steals Hearts in his charity event. This is what happened.
It was incredible. He volunteered at a fundraising event in Chicago,
and he teamed up with children from a local hospital.

(01:16:15):
And so here was the thing. For every they were
throwing passes to him, and for every pass he caught,
a donation of two hundred and fifty dollars would be
made to a local children's charity. Well, in an incredible
turn of events, he caught every single pass thrown by
the kids, no matter what, and it was just awesome.
I mean, give me a reason to root for you.

(01:16:38):
There it is, and now I'm a Chicago Bears fan
because it just shows how much pro athletes can literally
change these kids' lives and like uplift them just by
being a genuine person. And he gave these kids that
are dealing with so much more than we could even
imagine in a local hospital something to smile about and

(01:16:58):
raised a ton of money, thousands of dollars for pediatric
care and community support. It's just like, this is why,
this is why we cover sports, right to see the
connection from a professional athlete or any athlete in general
and the public like that.

Speaker 2 (01:17:15):
That is just what you root for, Tracy, It absolutely is.
And Ed Colson Lovelin is all by the side. Colson
Lovelin is a really fantastic person and it's not surprising
because this is who he is and who he was
throughout his college career. And I think the Bears are
just going to see more and more of it. So
that's just fabulous. That's just the best feel good story
of the week.

Speaker 3 (01:17:35):
You're just gotta be good too, right.

Speaker 2 (01:17:37):
Yes, for sure, it just doesn't involve a former Michigan player,
but it's still a fun field good story of the week.

Speaker 3 (01:17:41):
Does it involve show Hey?

Speaker 2 (01:17:42):
It does not involve Show Hey, which again is very shocking.
But it does involve Brent Rooker who was feeding his
eleven month old child her nighttime bottle at nine pm
around the All Star Game and it was so cute
and he said, yes, it was necessary to feel my
eleven month old child or nighttime bottle at like nine pm.

Speaker 3 (01:18:03):
Thank you for asking, Because somebody commented and said it
was it really necessary for you for sure to be
feeding his child?

Speaker 2 (01:18:09):
Yeah, somebody definitely did that person isn't a parent, No,
definitely or also isn't, like come on, like, how could you.

Speaker 3 (01:18:19):
You're you're gonna make fun of this man feeding his child?
Come on, get out of your parents' basement. Figure something
else to care about.

Speaker 2 (01:18:27):
And it's the All star game, Like that's the fun
of the auto.

Speaker 3 (01:18:29):
Even if it wasn't like showing men that they can
be a part of parenthood.

Speaker 2 (01:18:34):
Absolutely he is. But you know, someone had to have
a sea.

Speaker 5 (01:18:36):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:18:37):
I remember years ago when Riley Curly Curry did the
press confers and Steph creat it was the cutest thing
and people got upset, and this is a business, and
you know what, let people be human. He's being a dad.
Let him be a dad. His little girl is in
there and she's asking questions because, you know what, to her,
he's her dad, He's not Steph Curry. So I like

(01:18:58):
all of these things. But I just thought that was
absolutely fantastic and I just love loved it.

Speaker 3 (01:19:04):
And you know, his wife probably feeds the bottle all
the time.

Speaker 2 (01:19:07):
He's going back to via the show and he's playing
one hundred and sixty.

Speaker 3 (01:19:11):
Two and he was like, I'll do it this time, Like,
let the man just enjoy his life.

Speaker 2 (01:19:15):
Yep, let the man live. I have won more from
the All Star Game cal Rally home Run Derry Champion
when he was eight years old. There's a video of
him saying I'm going to win the home run Derby
and then he won the home run Derry Derby. We
love a manifestation.

Speaker 3 (01:19:30):
That's amazing. I have been really into the manifestations lately.
I told you I was going to the Award Show.
I went to the Award Show. Like, this is my
piece of advice as we near the end of the show.
If you want something, put it in the universe. Say
it's going to happen. We are going to be back together. Yes,
putting it out there.

Speaker 2 (01:19:50):
I love it. I absolutely love it. And that is
a feel good story in itself. And last but not least,
really quick girl Dad's activated this week, Jared Go Christian
McCaffrey have baby girls and that's just really fun to
watch you guys. We have had so much fun with
you today, Bridget thanks for being so awesome as always.
And coming up next you'll have Steve Hartman and Martin Weisse.

(01:20:13):
Goodbye all
