Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Let's go, Stick, Let's go, big Boy, Let's go.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Let's go. Are you okay? Are you okay?

Speaker 1 (00:10):
What do you mean?

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Why wouldn't I be okay?

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Well, I'm a little worried about you.

Speaker 4 (00:14):
Why did we welcome you into the Fox Sports Radio
studios Ian Roddy, our producer Mary Mackron in the show,
And of course you've heard Steve de Seger on updates?
Why did you send eighteen text messages? And the rundown
yesterday at noon? Do you not think anything's gonna happen
Sunday for the show Wether than.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Jeff where nothing really happened on Sunday. I was waiting
for any big news to break. Nothing, But I was born.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
But our show is our show is only Sunday night.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
I know that, But I was born on saga. You're
not going to write some stuff out because there's a
lot to get to you some stuff out.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
You sent me twelve text messages.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
My wife thought I had a psycho girlfriend that was
coming after me or something. And then I mean, I'm sorry,
I blew the bit, But did you even read the
Scott Hansen story before.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
You told me that red zone was going away.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
No, I just read the title because I was worried
about it. I'm like, oh my god, the red zone
is going away. We're not gonna have it anymore, Arnie.

Speaker 5 (01:13):
We were planning on letting you believe it the entire
the entirety of the show.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
He already I told you. But I could see you
if Ian said, oh yeah, dude, it's going away. I
could see you being the kind of person that was like, see,
I told you. I told you. I could see that
being you. We had formulated this last night during the
Bernie Fratto show that I was sitting in on. But
I mean, dude, you know half those things you sent me,

(01:38):
I don't necessarily think they're legit.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Oh stop it. I've not fallen for bogus report? Which
one is that legit?

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Did you happen to see whose tweet you sent me
on the Terry McLaurin story, No, I did not. Let's
just let's kind of go through here. First of all,
Terry breaking, this is breaking. They put the siren in front.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Breaking breaking news, which means Barnie's.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Gonna fall for it. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
It says the commanders have granted wide receiver Terry McLaurin
permission to seek a trade. I thought, I'm being told
by the Exclusive Sports group that the Cowboys and Eagles
are the top of mclaurin's wish list. I thought that
was a big thing when I heard that it was
tweeted by Ernie the Cowboys fan. Oh at e Underscore,

(02:28):
the Cowboys fan who no offense, Ernie outstanding Twitter feed.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
Don't know if he's the guy you turned to for
breaking news, Arnie, but I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
I said to twenty topics, and the.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Other night you sent me twenty four topics. One.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
I know because my wife was literally freaking out. She's like,
who is this psycho that is texting you? The other
one that kind of cracked me up a little bit,
and this got me search and we talked about this
a lot last night. So if you missed the Bernie Show,
go check the podcast out. Was this idea, this I
guess or fee that you sent kind of positioned it

(03:02):
as a report. It's really not at full court press.
It aggregated Chris Fodor, who said in a in a
podcast that he would expect Lebron James to have a
retirement tour, right.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Right, I saw that a couple of places, did I
not or what?

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Yeah, it's not being reported. Chris Fador speculated on it.
He'll even tell you it go. I'll play it for
you later in the show. I just gotta challenge you
a little bit, like wa Arnie, one more click and
you'll get What's I mean? These aggregators get you every
time they did Bernie the Cowboys face Gosh.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
And I just wanted to be real so much. I'm like, oh,
this is juicy.

Speaker 5 (03:42):
But earning the Cowboys fan isn't even like presenting himself
as I know it.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
Just tell you right now, you put breaking and that
little siren e moji on something, I'm just gonna fall
for it every single time, especially if.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
The breaking news is in red or something, I'm totally
into it.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
Yeah, I mean, in fact, you have it as the
number one topic on the Roman numeral.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
The Red Zone story.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
Will it stay?

Speaker 2 (04:09):
I mean I was worried about that because Scott Hansen
said that, at least I thought he did that the
negotiations were going tough for him.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
Good for him personally to keep doing Red Zone. Oh yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
He if you the podcast, I'm like, I'm thinking about
how I'm I gonna watch NFL games now.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
I want you to go to red zone. You can't
go back.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
I'm not gonna lie. I didn't even notice that you
had that as the number one. That's how concerned I
was so freaked.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
Out about it.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
I'm like, oh, yeah, we have to talk about this.
How can they take away the red zone? I'm thinking
to myself.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
By the way, A plus tweet to promote the show tonight,
Ian Roddy A plus we get to dip our toe
into the Coldplay controversy here tonight on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
But I was excited about this one.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
Can I can I just calm your fears a little bit, Arnie,
red Zone Isn't going away. In a podcast with Jimmy Trainer,
which is a really good podcast and a really good
interview with Scott Hansen, Scott Hansen talks about how challenging
the negotiations were with the NFL.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
That's what I saw, right, But just for him to
host the show didn't make it the way you're written
the way I read it, I thought it was. It
was the tough negotiations that the red zone wasn't gonna
come back. They made it sound like that that it
not Chris.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Or what wells.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
I had listened to the podcast, so I mean because
as soon as you sin it, I was like, hey,
the red zone's not ever going to go away, because
it's probably not probably the hottest thing going right now,
and I know it is and being more than anything else.
I didn't see it that way. I think, are you are?

(05:47):
You're just worried that they're gonna take it away from you.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
I think I was already told my wife, I'm gonna
have to get the package where you get all the games.
Now I can't watch a red zone. I was actually
really bummed out about it. I'm I thinking, what am
I gonna? How could I not have the red zone?
I can't not watch football without the red zone?

Speaker 4 (06:02):
No more red zone? I was like, Arnie, what are
you talking about? But and again he remember whenever a
Direct TV. I think last we've had two years now
with YouTube as the home of the Sunday Ticket, and
there were so many people that had just been lifelong
DirectTV people like myself right that were shocked to find

(06:23):
out there were two red zones. I was like, wait
a minute, there's someone other than Andrew Ceciliano who does
the red zone? Who's this Scott Hansen guy, because I'd
always had DirecTV and that's how I would get the
red zone. Now you get to know Scott Hanson over
time because that's usually the clips that you would see.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
But we used to have two red zones. Now we
have one.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
And Scott Hansen's point was, hey, man, it was rough negotiations.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
The NFL is a tough negotiator.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
They came up with the deal that kept him as
the host because I'm I mean, I'm sure they probably
could have spent a little less money on someone else,
but Scott Hansen got his deal. So Arnie, you can
go ahead and eliminate roman numeral number one.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
I think. Wow.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
So then right off the bat, I'm gonna put a
little check mark by that one. Oh my goodness. But
you know what the funny part is, usually people comment
on our roman numerals.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
Not one of our listeners said, hey, what are you
an idiot? The roman nuberl number one.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
It's it's coming back that It's like our listeners even
know what was going on.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
Well, it's kind of hard to read your handwriting sometimes,
Oh it.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
Is that two other talk show host wrote compliment compliment
complimented me about my my penmanships?

Speaker 3 (07:30):
Will stop it?

Speaker 4 (07:31):
Who are these crazy people? I want names? They complimented
you on your penmanship?

Speaker 3 (07:37):
Yeah, but mind.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Somebody wrote good penmanship last week or something?

Speaker 3 (07:41):
Oh did they?

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (07:42):
He goes somebody, somebody. It went from being two fellow
talk show hosts. Somebody. Well, do you have a good weekend?
Obviously that failed. You're right, you could have got away
with doing Saturdays rundown and not really worried about too
much today. But do you have a good no saturday
filling for you? See, had chance to kind of relax.
He got all these hot takes loaded up for today.

(08:03):
How was your weekend good?

Speaker 2 (08:04):
My weekend was good? Got some filling coming up? You're working?
I made you work tomorrow. I hope you're not mad
at me.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
You didn't knock me do anything. But you're not working tomorrow.
I didn't have you scheduled.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
You don't schedule me, Arnie? But going are you working tomorrow?
You don't schedule me?

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Are you working tomorrow?

Speaker 3 (08:21):
Maybe?

Speaker 2 (08:22):
Okay, that's what I thought. I did.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
Nobody froms to talk about who's working where and the
schedule than Arnie Spaniard have you started blowing up Brie
about it. I mean, has that become your next person
that you're bugging about the schedule and getting the weekday schedule?

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Yeah, exactly, exactly, No, I would. I'm doing a little
fill in. You're doing a little fill in, and you know,
people taking vacation, and yeah, that's about it.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
I'm in Monday Night with Jason with Mike because Jason's
on vacation. Is at least my understanding of things for
this weekend. And then what your Friday night?

Speaker 2 (08:54):
I'm Friday night where the book ends.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
So you're getting are you doing anything Saturday or no?

Speaker 2 (08:58):
No, no, no, I don't work three days in a row.
It's on my contract.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
I don't do that.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
No, no, no, no, no, no three days in a
row for me.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
Well, anyway we believe it or not.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
Even with Arnie getting this whole show basically done on Saturday,
there still is a lot to get to. You know,
we inch closer with the clock the way they are.
I think we're now just what you know, basically eleven
days away. I started the NFL a week from Thursday.
A week from Thursday. It's quicker to sound like that,
you know, so instead of saying eleven. Yeah, you would

(09:30):
be like, it's faster to say just a week from Thursday.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
That's right there, you go. I was thinking about that today.
A go week from Thursday. Got a little preseason football,
you know, the preseason's the free season.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
I don't know if you know that now, sure, Arnie.

Speaker 4 (09:44):
So that means that we are if the with the
game kicking off at six o'clock, we are ten days,
nineteen hours, and forty nine minutes away from the first
National Football League game of twenty to twenty five. You
want to get a little bit even more sided with
the Week zero coming up in college football, you get

(10:05):
a conference game in that Week zero on August twenty third,
which means we are only now thirty three days and
twelve hours away from the start of the college football season.
We would then be forty days away from the first
full Saturday of the college football season, which would then
make us what like forty five days away from the
first Thursday Dallas Cowboys in the Philadelphia Eagles.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
So we're getting here.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
We're inching here, slowly but surely, but we're getting towards
that time where we can start, Like I spent this
week in diving into the over unders in the seven
and a half in an eight and a half category,
aren't I think that's a real fascinating world of some
teams that maybe have higher expectations than Vegas has put
on them, and maybe some people see them a little
bit less viable for success, like Arizona there at eight

(10:52):
and a half is fascinating to me. But we're getting there, right.
We can almost smell practice, we can almost hear the
whistle when you.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
And IOWAI do the NFL preview, we always do the
worst to first thing because it happened so often, just
about every year, sometimes two in one year. Always loved
doing that, Always always looking for that team, which wasn't
that which conference, which division is gonna have that last
place team to jump up the first. You could never
see it too. You're like, no, no, this is impossible,

(11:19):
this is impossible. And then it happens and you're like,
oh my god, how did that go?

Speaker 4 (11:24):
Who would be that team that surprised you out of
nowhere last year?

Speaker 2 (11:29):
Out of last year even from worst I don't know, well,
I don't even remember who was in last place last year.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
Well, because I was trying to get a little bit
of a borderline for it, because I was just thinking
more than anything else, the consistency now that Detroit has
created is fascinating to me.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
They've become a team.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
That is, they're here right, and now you got to
figure out what it's like whenever you're trying to replace
And I know you don't care coordinators. A lot of
people in the NFL do. When you're trying to replace
a coordinator, Arnie, it's not an easy thing, and they're
having to replace all of them. There wasn't a team
last year that went from worse to first in twenty

(12:11):
twenty four. You know that no one went from because
no one went from worse to first from twenty three
to twenty four because, like you said, every single division
has already decided, right, Well, I.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
Guess I was right. Remember I told you about that
last year, and this year it's not any better. Six
of the eighth divisions already have been decided, so it's
not going to be some exciting races. I don't know
if there's going to be a worse to first this year. Either.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
Feels like they're commanders though were they were second? Right?

Speaker 5 (12:37):
So like if they were in a different division, it
would have been.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
But that's a fair point because the Commanders did go
from being the number two pick in the draft now
to not only making the playoffs. But you remember the
Commanders winning a playoff game last year. They went on
the road to be Tampa last year.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
In the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
So yeah, that's a great point, Ian because you didn't
truly have one in a division.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
But it get Washington have come out of nowhere.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
You have some good you know, contention. The Bears could
go from worse the first, the forty nine Ers could
go for worse the first now that they're healthy. So
there's two right off the bat.

Speaker 4 (13:12):
Well, let's hit Roman numeral two here real quick before
we grab our initial time out now again, Todd Furman
is still on vacation. He's going to enjoy the last
few weeks of freedom before he dives all in to
college and pro football. With us here with already in
playing on a Fox Sports Sunday. Roman numeral number two
was the big news that Arnie had for the longest
time that he never told us, And finally, finally he

(13:35):
announced that he and his wife bathroom moving. But you
haven't decided where you're moving to yet, as a decision
been made.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
The decision has been made. We're moving out of Vermont
and we're moving to Goulesby, Oklahoma.

Speaker 3 (13:49):
Not even close. It's gold Speed. Yeah, not too. I mean, well,
you'll love it here. Taxes.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
You live at what one o one, Oklahoma? Sooner way.

Speaker 3 (13:58):
That's it, and we're going down doing.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
We're gonna get the house at one o three sooner away.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
I'm down. We're gonna as.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
We're moving to Connecticut.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
So I called that from the opening jump.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Yeah, we're moving to Connecticut. My my wife got this
big fancy job. Everybody knows now I hate to even
say it on the air that I'm a thh. So
you don't know what a thh is, no clue, I'm
a trophy husband.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
Oh okay.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
So yeah, so my wife works and I do the
one day a week thing. So we're going she got transferred.
We're going down to Connecticut. Actually went last week to
go house hunting. Let me tell you something. I sent
the guys over at to Dan Patrick Show a nasty
text from me about how their their towns in Connecticut

(14:48):
just suck. You know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (14:49):
Okay, I did.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
I'm like, oh, you guys always talking about great Milford was,
and how great Tremble is and all these little towns.
When I got to these towns, the thing I thought
it was locked the doors man it was. I thought
it was gonna be like brent Wood or Beverly Hills, Belaire.
It wasn't like that at all.

Speaker 4 (15:09):
It was no, no, no basal calling the New state
slash city.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
You're moving to the hood.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Yeah, it's like the hood man. I'm like, I don't
like this. And then I sent a text over to
Polypaps at the Dan Patrick show and he goes, I
live in this town. You should go live over here,
and I'm like, why is he telling me to live
so far away from him? I'm not not quite understanding
that thing. But no, yeah, yeah, what can he be thinking?
I didn't like that town. I went to like five

(15:37):
different towns and I'm saying to myself, hell no. So
I was not very happy. I'm I'm not not gonna
buy a house. I'm just gonna have to rent something
or or something. I did not like it, but hopefully
I'll get used to it.

Speaker 6 (15:50):
You know.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
It's a little bit more to do down there in
Connecticut than it wasn't Vermont that's for sure.

Speaker 4 (15:55):
Well, congratulations. It's an interesting choice when you say that
you could go anywhere in America that you want to go,
and you choose Connecticut.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
But right, right, yeah, so we're gonna be near her
sister and uh yeah, you know what, what am I
gonna do? What the hell do I care? I'm near
New York. I got some friends up there from my fraternity,
so I know I'll have a good time. It's about
time to get the hell out of her Mont. I've
been here like twelve years. I've had enough. But I
was not impressed with those little towns in Connecticut. It

(16:26):
was not impressing me. It was like, and I'm not
a snob, Chris, No, not at all, No, not at all,
but I just didn't like what was going on there,
to be honest.

Speaker 4 (16:34):
Well, I congratulations think on the move, because, I mean,
being a trophy husband, I know it can be hard work.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
It is it is. I mean, obviously you've got to
stay in shape, you gotta look good.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
I mean, these are all things that are important.

Speaker 7 (16:49):
Man.

Speaker 4 (16:50):
They're important, especially when you're a trophy husband, because if
you start sagging even the slightest, you know, you gotta
be careful there. So congratulations on the four four hour,
four and a half hour.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
It looks like five hours from Vermont down to Connecticut.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
Well, congratulations, And you know what I am gonna do.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
I'm gonna go to the Yukon Arizona game in Connecticut.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
How about that? Well, there you go, you'll be here.
It'll be a show. Now you still won't go.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
Yeah, it is my backyard.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
Now I have to go.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
You know, we'll have to go. And it's gonna be
like across the street from here or something.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
If you're in one of those nice neighborhoods. Well, there
you go.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
I bet you're gonna get an apartment. I think I'm
gonna do U. I saw these apartment called the University apartment,
so I may go ahead and do get something.

Speaker 4 (17:35):
Good luck with that. Good luck with that. Arnie is
moving to Connecticut.

Speaker 3 (17:38):
All right?

Speaker 4 (17:39):
When we come back, a story that people are losing
their minds on and about that I couldn't give a
rip about. We'll dive into it next with Arnie and
Plank right here on Fox Sports Radio.

And it's Aarny in Plank. You're already getting some advice
on your move to Connecticut. Tiger Man in Utah, Right, Arnie,
you're going to have to go to Yukon games, Hurley,
We'll have the boys cooking.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
I'm sure to go to games now that you know.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
I'm going to be an hour from Madison Square Gardens,
so obviously I'm gonna go to a lot of Knicks games.
There's no doubt about that.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
When the Dophins over under at one, when.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
The Dolphins come up to play the Jets, you know
I'll go to that game. And Arizona coming into play,
you caught in basketball in November. I'm definitely there. I'm
definitely going to that game.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
Okay, So you just mentioned three games, three different sports,
College basketball, NFL, and the NBA. Right, I would still
set the over under on one.

Speaker 3 (19:18):
Ian. Would you take the over under on all those combined?
Which games he actually goes?

Speaker 5 (19:22):
Definitely the under because I already know the excuse is
going to be that it's an hour away.

Speaker 3 (19:29):
Drive on TV.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
Well, I don't like to take the subway by myself
at night, but yeah, the excuses are already coming.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
Yeah, I can do that. Oh man. And then let's see.
There was one more here, Big Greg and Iowa.

Speaker 4 (19:42):
I'm guessing that Vermont is so happy that stinking genius
is leaving they may even give the man a police
escort on his way out of the state.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
They may they may do that. So we'll see what happens.
I'm looking forward to it.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
So the NFL PA story caught my eye when it
first came out. Conversation, Oh, that's not good, and that's
something that the players Association needs to fix immediately.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
But then that was it for me.

Speaker 4 (20:05):
These types of com and I trust me, I live
in the world of boring talk CARNI, because I've got
to talk about playoff expansion in college football and if
it's sixteen or twelve teams. And I've lived a life
of conference re alignment for years, but when we start
getting into billionaires fighting with millionaires and players Association versus
the NFL, I completely and totally lose focus and tune out.

(20:27):
So this story to me was kind of let the
Mike Florios of the world lose their minds about this.
And if you guys want to nerd out on it,
that's great. But whenever I saw old boy try to
expense a strip club visit, that's.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
Cruising the free club visits.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Yeah, that's why I thought it better than that. I mean, really,
first of all, don't you have your own money? Are
you so broke that when you go to a strip
club you have to expense it on the on the
company credit card? That I don't understand. You know, you're
gonna get caught. How many times does this happen before?
Where you read somebody who's done that, They're like, what

(21:02):
do you what? Are you an idiot? What are you crazy?
So I I really don't understand. I I don't even
understand that whole story. You want to go, that's fine,
go with your cash, go with your own money. How
you could expense that and think you were going to
get away with that is absolutely crazy.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
Crazy, right, absolutely crazy.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
But I'll tell you this, that's like you know what,
that's I'm sorry, that's like Jerry Springer.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
Ask you know that.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
You're about Jerry Springer who got together with a girl
the night I'll say, and he wrote her a check
for services instead of paying her cash. That's exactly how
we got caught.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
Sounds like you spoke from experience there.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
I haven't been to a Cold Play concert. I don't
do that.

Speaker 4 (21:46):
We had a friend of mine that was in a
high ranking position at an athletic department that paid a
bookie with the check, and that lost him his job.
You had Mike Price whenever he was the head coach
of Alabama for an hour, that used his company credit
card to go to a strip club.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
See, that's right.

Speaker 3 (22:05):
You never get away with it.

Speaker 4 (22:06):
And then you started hearing rumors that the NFL Players
Association was just going to continue with JC Tredder. But
there is news that's breaking tonight where it looks like
JC Tretder is going to resign from his position. He's
withdrawn himself for consideration for the nflpa's interim executive director position.

(22:27):
And you just I mean, listen, if you're NFL players
right now, the group that's supposed to have you're back
more than anyone else, is the NFLPA, your own players association, Right,
you got to make sure that you just completely clean
out that entire group that was there before.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Oh yes, oh yes, I mean you have to go ahead.
It's got to be a former player, right, That's what
I would be doing. I suddenly somebody that knows exactly
what's going on, that's been through it all. I can't
understand how they can't get a former player to go
ahead and run this thing.

Speaker 3 (22:59):
Yeah, a couple of form Yeah. And by the way,
guys like Will Compton.

Speaker 4 (23:03):
Will Compton, who is very active on X has the
Busting with the Boys podcast. He tweeted, We've got to
be the dumbest union in all of sports. Ben Watson,
who has been a member of the NFLPA executive committee,
said they would be wise to remove Tretder as well.
And it looks like it looks like that's going to
be the case here tonight. So hopefully I get I

(23:23):
don't know what more to add to it except the
players deserve better. But it's kind of you got to
make sure that when you elect someone ice dotted, tease
crossed all those things and when they're gonna get a
whole new world. Now, I don't know what this means
for the future of the labor health with the NFL.
I don't know if now you get someone in that
might be a little bit stronger and and not be
his buddy buddy with the NFL and its owners.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
But we do you know, we're still a ways away.

Speaker 4 (23:49):
I think what we've got we got one another five
years in this current agreement that's that's taking place, So
it seems like it's something that we don't have to
worry about at least for a little bit.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
I don't know if I should say this on the air.
Uh oh, but no, because I really loved the guy.
He's no longer with.

Speaker 4 (24:07):
Us twenty thirty. Twenty thirty, by the way, so yeah,
we got five more years go ahead.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
A former well, I you'll know who it is when
I say a former NFLPA president used to call me
off the air and either correct me what I was wrong,
or give me the scoop, or tell me the truth
or told me how it really was when I didn't
fully understand the story. And that was Gene Upshot, remember him, remember, Oh? Yeah, Yeah,
he was a great guy man. I absolutely loved that guy.

(24:34):
And he he didn't hold back. He's like, no, no,
you're repeating and I can't repeat the word that he used.
But that's he that's not true. And he'd set me
straight a lot. He was a good guy man. I
really liked him a lot.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
Yeah, and he was probably one of the strongest union
heads they had.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
Yes, yes, but we've got labor health until twenty thirty.
At that point, we'll see, you know what else is healthy? Anytime,
we can turn it over to Steve the Sager to
get us caught up on everything that's going on in
the world of sports.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
What's going on.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
I wanted to move to the saga, but he wouldn't
tell me where he lives. I couldn't do that, mam.

Speaker 8 (25:10):
Yeah, well we can pick up and move in just
an instant with news like that. By the way, on
the Treader news it was he himself saying it to
CBS today. Okay, he's not only taking himself out of
the running for interim executive director, he's leaving the union entirely. Wow,
So he has resigned from the Players Association or will

(25:30):
formerly this week, This guy who's a former union president.
By the way, most NFL teams will have their veterans
report to training camp by Tuesday. We have some news
to pass it along today, as the Kansas City Chiefs
gave defense Van George karloftis a four year extension. We're
nearly sixty two million dollars guaranteed. The Seahawks released tight
end Noah Fant. The Bengals signed quarterback Desmond Ritter, who's

(25:52):
from the University of Cincinnati. Scottie Scheffler won the Open
by four strokes after a final round sixty eight. Apparently
the last eleven times now he's led after fifty four
holes he's won the event. The guy took the PGA
Championship in May by five strokes won this major by
four today. He already has two Masters titles.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
People came back from being seven over after a first round, though, right,
Is that what he was after the first.

Speaker 8 (26:16):
Round this weekend?

Speaker 2 (26:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (26:19):
No, no, he finished seventeen unders. SOF tournament. Were you
watching Arnie?

Speaker 2 (26:24):
I thought he was over my die?

Speaker 8 (26:26):
Yeah, okay, yeah that was what was the guy's name
with the Twitter?

Speaker 3 (26:30):
Get that thing?

Speaker 2 (26:32):
I got it from NBA shot.

Speaker 3 (26:34):
Sixty eight in the first round. What am I thinking?

Speaker 2 (26:37):
What the hell was I?

Speaker 3 (26:39):
Okay, I'll get it. Happened?

Speaker 8 (26:40):
Well, I mean, Arnie's moving, so he's got.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
A lot of us, He's got a lot on his mind, exactly.

Speaker 8 (26:44):
Denny Hamlin, the NASCAR winner at Dover Peto Award, took
the Indy Car event on the streets of Toronto, And
ladies and gentlemen, I hope you say your DVRs. It's
the championship game in the Las Vegas Summer League in
the NBA tonight the five and oh Hornets against the
five and oh Kings. And at least Charlotte has a
couple guys on the roster we know from March Madness
kN Kanepple twelve points seven foot of Ryan Kalkbrenner eleven

(27:08):
Nneppel from Duke Kulkbrenner from Creighton. They are playing. It's
late third quarter. Charlotte sixty two fifty one in the lead.
The Detroit Tigers ended a six game losing streak tonight
winning two to one at Texas, So the Tigers have
the best record in the Majors sixty and forty, and
the Brewers are right behind him. Really, that's ten straight

(27:29):
wins from Milwaukee. After beating the Dodgers in LA again
six to five, the Brewers are now tied for first
with the Cubs in the NL Central. It was the
Cubs losing at ray Lea to Boston six to one today,
but the Brewers just beat the Dodgers three straight in
Milwaukee this month and just won three straight against him
in LA this weekend. So it's the first time the

(27:50):
A team has swept the Dodgers for a whole season
series of this length since two thousand and six win
the Cardinals won all seven against Yes, the Dodgers are
slumping mightily and three more airs today and Mookie Betts
is betting two forty. Getting last night off did not help,
and Freddie Freeman was hit by a pitch on the

(28:10):
wrist X rays where at least negative Great Houston won
eleven to three at Seattle, Minnesota, a seven to one
winner at Colorado. Arizona beats Saint Louis five to three.
The trade deadline comes up at the end of July
every year in baseball? Is Arizona a contender because they
have a piece to trade, to say the least, a
Uhennio Suarez and the Diamondbacks hit two more homers today.

(28:33):
He has thirty five home runs and eighty five RBIs already.
But those darn Diamondbacks have won four in a row.
Toronto beat San Francisco eight to six. Giants have lost
five straight. Yankees won four two at Atlanta. Aaron Judge
is thirty sixth homer. Angels won at Philly. The Mets
were winners over Cincinnati, and the Mets are just a

(28:54):
half game behind the first place.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
Philly Mets games.

Speaker 8 (28:58):
That's for sure not gonna happens. NL E back to you,
thanks Steve.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
Okay, go to the World Series this year.

Speaker 3 (29:07):
Airplay pretty well right now? Are you were you thinking? Now?

Speaker 4 (29:10):
Tennis data has your back on this one. Could you
have possibly been thinking of Bryson de Shambo maybe shot
at seventy eight? See, look, even your friends are trying
to look out for you, all right, Joe, thank you
on Twitter. We are very busy at Stinking Genius one.
I'm at Plank Show. Everybody should follow us at Fox
Sports Radio. I mentioned I'm not a big I'm not

(29:33):
really all in on this story with the NFLPA, but
I'm here for it, right, I'll listen to it. Mister
nobody writes the NFLPA has been a joke every since Upshaw.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
This is just a bigger example. But do the players
even care?

Speaker 4 (29:45):
Given how they agree to seventeen games for simply not
getting tested anymore for weed? The players and leadership let
ownership walk all over them. But there is also you know,
the healthcare has been extended. Yeah, have that for longer
after their careers?

Speaker 2 (30:01):
Should? They should have it though, that's for sure.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
They should exactly. The fact that they didn't was ridiculous.
But it's been extended. Yeah, and I listen.

Speaker 4 (30:08):
I know this sounds crazy, but yeah, the NBA got
a huge TV deal. The NFL has a huge TV
TV deal as well.

Speaker 3 (30:16):
But some of the.

Speaker 4 (30:17):
Contracts that the NBA players are getting are just ridiculously dumb.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
I mean they really truly are. I mean, look at
what SGA just got. That's ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (30:26):
Congrats, right, You're you're worth what you're you're paid, but
you're also talking about massively larger rosters because everyone always
strives to their NFL salaries to NBA and even Major
League Baseball, you're talking about much larger rosters in the
NFL too, exactly, and certain positions that are just gonna
get paid infinitely more. And which is a quarterback. I mean,

(30:47):
you've you've talked a lot about maybe there should be
a quarterback salary cap.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
Listen, if these numbers.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
May have to, they may have to. You're right, I
was joking first. It's not a joke anymore. That's for sure.
It's terrible. I mean it's getting out of control and
it's eventually going to come back and cost the fans.
Whether it's ticket prices or you know whatever, you're going
to go ahead and support the team, it's going to
come back out of your pocket.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
Everyone that's like everyone as a fan that says, go
get yours, you show those owners you get every penny
you can. You're the one that ends up paying the
long run. I mean, just I'm telling you as somebody
who lives in a city with a professional team that
has seen an infinite raise in the amount of salary

(31:33):
and prices of everything, Buddy, I don't know how they
had that arena full of people for the Oklahoma City
Thunder games. I mean tickets, aren't he were ridiculous, ridiculous
And that's everywhere gaming and game out in the NBA
right now, so and in the NFL and in sports.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
I don't know how you people do it.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
Baseball is still the best bargain at least absolutely, I
don't know.

Speaker 4 (31:54):
Now, Well, you're about to find out, because you're gonna
go to all these Mets games.

Speaker 2 (31:57):
Oh dub def I'm gonna just buy season tickets.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
Now, seize tickets, and you'll never go to a game.

Speaker 4 (32:03):
David writes Arnie, a trophy husband, more like a let's
make a deal.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
Zonk Wow, don't be a hater. Don't blame the messenger here.
Don't be a hater.

Speaker 4 (32:13):
Come on, Gino Arima can take a few games off
and let Arnie coach the ladies of Yukon.

Speaker 2 (32:17):
I may go to some women's a Connecticut game. How
about that. That's a good idea. I may go ahead
and do that.

Speaker 4 (32:23):
And Rick Flair wrights Arnie could easily afford to go
to multiple Knix games with all that money that he makes. Well, yeah,
you're running the network. You're the boss man. You should
be touching.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
Though those nick Lower Bowl games. You know, I like
to have good seats. But I'll you know, I'll go
and spurge a little bit. I'll go to a couple
of games.

Speaker 4 (32:40):
Are you big enough and are you high enough on
the depth chart where you could start getting those invites
and sit in those I guess you could say famous
people's seats.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
That's a good I think you have to kind of
go to games for years before they allow you to
go sit down there. You mean next to Spike and
all those places. Yeah, I don't have to said court side,
Row two or three would be fine. I don't have
to be in the first row. That's fine. I'm not greedy.
I'll do the I'll do row two, three, I'll even
go to row five.

Speaker 4 (33:11):
That's fine with me. Good look at you. I like
that you're not greedy. And Eddie, Eddie the Nature Boy
rites breaking news. Scott Hansen's brothers cousins roommates. Bookie said
the NFL red Zone maybe moved to Amazon.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
Brian, I told you no, I really felt for that.

Speaker 4 (33:30):
Well, didn't fall for anything. There was no report that
was out there. It's and I guess there was a
couple of people that maybe read it and felt the
same way that you did. Brendan said, I was worried
for twenty four hours that red zone is going bye bye.
We leeve to know that it's not. Arnie, don't give
the NFL any ideas. Did you tweet something about it?

Speaker 3 (33:49):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (33:49):
No, No, I didn't tweet anything about it. I just
I sent you the topics and I'm like, oh, well,
we'll get to this right away. I go, okay, So
other people must have seen it and saw that. I
guess so saw the same thing I did. But really,
I don't know how it was written. Maybe it was
just the headline or something. I'm not sure.

Speaker 4 (34:05):
And then our man UCLA Dodger Frank writes, cold Play
that's what Arnie calls Beth shoveling the driveway.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
It really gets Arnie in the mood.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
I can't believe all the people that have gotten into that.
And now the stadiums, you know, instead of like the
Kiss cam, they do what do they call it now?

Speaker 3 (34:21):
The cold Play cam? Out of cold Play cam?

Speaker 2 (34:23):
Right, it's hysterical, it really is. It's funnier than hell.
I crack up at it. All the time, and then
all of a sudden you're strolling through Twitter and you
see out of like Bartie Rubble holding bet or Frad
holding Betty or something in it. It's it's gotten crazy.
I feel bad for the families though, and you see

(34:44):
so many statements you don't know which one's real.

Speaker 3 (34:46):
None of them have been real yet.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
I thought I heard the sun of the of the
guy that got caught talking, but I think that was bogus.

Speaker 4 (34:55):
Well, the daughter used that to start a TikTok account
as quickly as she could, so, I mean.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
There was that that was really geez.

Speaker 4 (35:03):
By the way, I could totally see my kids doing that.
My son would totally do something like that. Absolutely they
would use it for cloud. All right, when we come
back to the Fox Sports Radio studios, Arnie, I want
to spend a little bit of time on Roman numeral
number twelve. Roman numeral number twelve because your boy Bill
Belichick Robert Kraft got a little sideways this week. Wow,

(35:26):
we'll talk about a next on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (35:33):
You're listening to Fox Sports.

Speaker 4 (35:34):
Radio Radio right It's Arnie in Plank right here on

Speaker 3 (35:57):
Arnie will be in on Friday Night. You lead right
into my solo.

Speaker 2 (36:01):
Oh look at you.

Speaker 4 (36:03):
That's yeah Friday Night. You'll be in with Mike Carmen.
I'll be in with Mike is Jason takes vacation this week,
I get the leadoff spot.

Speaker 3 (36:10):
I get to start tomorrow with Mike Karma, So that
should be fun, do you real quick?

Speaker 4 (36:15):
Just one final thought on this before I moved to
this Robert Kraft Bill Belichick thing. Yeah, much more we
need to say on the nfl PA Anything more we
need to add on this story.

Speaker 3 (36:27):
Just about going to the strip club and all.

Speaker 4 (36:28):
That, or I just mean the whole saga from the
collusion conversation to the ousting of the executive director to
the ousting of JC Tretter.

Speaker 3 (36:39):
I mean, does it Is there anything more.

Speaker 4 (36:40):
We need to add except that, you know, the players
probably need to just clean out the whole thing.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
You know what's interesting. We got to deal with the
nfl PA, you got to deal with what's going on
in the w NBA, and they're getting their money in
Major League Baseball is in bad situation. They want money,
and then sure they're complaining about everything is boy, everything's come.
You know so much about money and all that in politics.
It's crazy how many leagues are or fighting right now

(37:08):
over money and stuff like that.

Speaker 4 (37:10):
Yeah, So we'll get to the WNBA in the fourth
hour of the show, and then we'll dive into things
from Rob Manfred in Major League Baseball here in a bit.

Speaker 3 (37:19):
But first Robert Kraft this week.

Speaker 9 (37:21):
I think getting Bill Belichick to come to the Patriots
in nineteen ninety nine, it was a big risk, and
I got hammered in the Boston media. But I think
he was with us for twenty four years and we
did okay.

Speaker 4 (37:41):
So Belichick didn't take too kindly to this. Why he
did an interview where he said, I don't really know
how much of a risk it was, because I had
just taken a head coach's job with the Jets, and
the bigger risk was me going to New England, where
the Jets had just put together a championship roster and
y'all sucked. I paraphrase, by the way, with what Belichick said,

(38:03):
because you know he's not the best with his words.

Speaker 3 (38:06):
I can make it better for him. Boy, that feuds legit,
isn't it.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
I don't know what's going on with these two. I
didn't think it was kind of a shot at Belichick anyway,
So I.

Speaker 3 (38:15):
Didn't either why he came back in craft so hard.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
Especially they've been together for, like you said, twenty four years.
You think they'd have a mutual respect for each other.
Belichick is so damn grouchy. I just, you know, I
think he's in the wrong here. He never should have
come back like that. And I think Kraft, who's an
old man, but so's Belichick. But Kraft met nothing by it,
So I'd back off if I'm Belichick.

Speaker 4 (38:39):
Really, I kind of felt like he was trying to
pat himself on the back there. How much of a
risk was it to bring in Belichick? He just he
had just got the Jets job.

Speaker 2 (38:50):
Yeah, but how many times back then where you're trading
for coaches too, you know that that's kind of a risk.

Speaker 4 (38:55):
Well, they didn't really trade for him, right, didn't they
they were kind of forced to give a compensation after
he was like, yeah, all right, him out. But I
mean I could understand where rober Kraft feels that way.
But you tell me you couldn't see where Bill Belichick
might be a little bit pissed by p o by that.

Speaker 3 (39:10):
No, not really at all.

Speaker 2 (39:11):
Yeah, I think he's being sensitive. I wouldn't be pissed off.
I worked always was giving you a compliment, is what
he was doing.

Speaker 4 (39:18):
Scott Shapiro says, it's a big it was a big
risk to bring Arnie Spanier on here after everything.

Speaker 3 (39:25):
Would you not be mad about that?

Speaker 2 (39:27):
No, not at all. Seriously. That means he said it
was a big, big risk and it worked out. Look
how great Arnie is right now? Okay, I get where
Bill Belichick.

Speaker 4 (39:35):
I mean, I feel like they're kind of into Jerry
Jones Jimmy Johnson face.

Speaker 3 (39:40):
And weren't you in Dallas right around that time? Or no,
was that.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
Jimmy was not there, Jimmy was gone.

Speaker 4 (39:46):
Well I'm talking about posts whenever Jimmy left and Jerry
brought in Barry Switzer. Yeah, there was a lot of
back and forth in who gets the credit. I don't
know if that's what's happening here. I didn't think listen,
I didn't think it was anything that way. Yeah, I
didn't think it was.

Speaker 3 (40:01):
That big video.

Speaker 4 (40:02):
But I'll tell you one thing more than anything else,
I don't think it's going to stop. I don't think
it's gonna stop Arnie. I think these dudes are going
to keep brawling with each other till he had a time.

Speaker 3 (40:13):
All right? That's is that our one already in the book.

Speaker 2 (40:15):
Wow, just flew on by crazy.

Speaker 3 (40:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (40:18):
I've got so much that I want to talk about
with everything from Rob Manfred in Major League Baseball because
I don't know whether or not I want to stand
and applaud him, because hey, think about it, right, You're
in a sport that is fighting an uphill battle, and
you've made some changes that have made it more interesting.

Speaker 3 (40:36):
But how much more needs to change.

Speaker 4 (40:38):
We'll get into what Rob Manfred had to say this week, yep,
And is there an icon that's coming back to coaching.

Speaker 3 (40:44):
I don't know if we've ever seen Arnie a quicker.

Speaker 4 (40:47):
One to eighty than what we saw from something that
seemed like a report that was quickly shuddered. We'll dive
into the Nick Saban drama that started in sec Media
Day next with already playing on Fox Sports Radio, You're.

Speaker 1 (41:01):
Listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio Aile Troll Hour two.

Speaker 4 (41:05):

as you log onto the app, Arnie's moving. Arnie's moving,

(41:39):
He's moving to Connecticut.

Speaker 2 (41:40):
Feeling I'm ready to roll. It's more like, you know,
it's Connecticut, but it's kind of New York too, because
I'm so close, so I'm ready to go to some games.

Speaker 4 (41:47):
So what you're right, You're saying you're moving to Connecticut,
but you are also claiming that you're moving to New York.

Speaker 2 (41:53):
Yes, I'm close enough to New York. Now, I'm only
gonna be like forty five minutes from getting into the city.
So how on that subway, let's go, let's do it.

Speaker 3 (42:02):
You just said you don't like riding the subway.

Speaker 2 (42:04):
After not at night, not at night by myself.

Speaker 4 (42:07):
You're not gonna end up going to any games, You're congratulations,
but this bit will continue right here on.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
The No, I'm gonna go to game wage I am.
I'm gonna go to a Mets game for sure if
I get down there in time.

Speaker 4 (42:20):
I'm setting the over under at one one in the
three combined sports. And not just like say for the year,
I'm saying for the entire time that you live in
Oh stop.

Speaker 2 (42:32):
But I'm definitely going to Arizona, Yukon. That's that's a
done deal. I'm gonna meet the fraternity brothers there.

Speaker 4 (42:37):
I'll still set the over under at one, but good luck.
I'm excited about it now, Arnie. There was a major
story in our college football world that took center stage
this week. Yeah, when your beloved former Dolphins coach Nick
Saban was in the moves in the news after a
I don't want to say a report from Greg McElroy

(42:59):
because it really isn't that the way that he got positioned.
And again, I understand, man, I had this happen to me.
I got aggregated on something that I said, Hey, I'm
hearing this, and then they're like, oh my gosh, it's
gonna happen. And you know, Greg has to realize that
he's one of the best known names in Alabama football history,
and anything that comes out of his mouth as someone

(43:19):
very close to Nick Saban, people are gonna be like,
oh my gosh, what's going on here? Right right exactly,
So when he said, hey, I'm hearing from a high
ranking person, someone very deep in the Nick Saban circle,
that he's going to coach again, people are going to
pay attention to that.

Speaker 3 (43:32):
What'd you make of it?

Speaker 2 (43:34):
I the same thing, and when I saw that, I
think I immediately sent it to you. I'm like, oh my god,
Nick Saban's are going to come back. Then, I'm sort
of thinking, what is he going to coach? There was no,
He's not going back to Alabama. Is he going to
take over his smaller program and try to build it up?
And is he going to go to the NFL? I
wasn't sure what he was talking about. What he said

(43:54):
he was gonna end up coming back to coaching.

Speaker 3 (43:56):
So I dug a little bit.

Speaker 4 (43:57):
Greg made the rounds at SEC media Day and he
sat down with JD Pekel. JD's a very good uh
college football film guy, reporter, host whatever. I like him
a lot, and Jd asked Greg, hey, man, this comes
out of your mouth, everyone loses their mind. Is there
anything you want to say, anything more you want to.

Speaker 3 (44:15):
Add to it?

Speaker 4 (44:16):
And I thought this, this would probably be really good
to help give everyone a little bit more perspective on it.

Speaker 3 (44:22):
From Greg mackelro.

Speaker 10 (44:23):
First of all, I don't think he's coming back, so
we'll start with that, right. I don't see that as
a likely possibility at all. I think he's fully content
doing what he's doing. He gets a taste of football
three hours a week on game day. I think he's
still in the game. But he's very involved with Nix
Kids Foundation, in which he cares greatly about. He loves
playing golf. So I don't think he's coming back. We'll
start with that. There are people, though, that think that
if the right situation came about, you know, I mean

(44:45):
hypothetically speaking. Andy Reid retires and they want Nick Saban
for the Kansas City Chiefs, Like, how do you not
take that call?

Speaker 2 (44:52):
You know, quarterback?

Speaker 3 (44:57):
But they said, they're like, you know what, hey don't
rule it. I guess this is kind of how they
phrased it.

Speaker 10 (45:02):
And people I trust and people I respect, and I'm like,
I don't I don't really buy it. I gotta be honest,
I don't really buy it. But you know who I'll ask.
I'll ask fine bomb, I'll see if he's heard anything.
He's super connected and knows a lot of those same people,
and see if he's hearing some of the same stuff.

Speaker 2 (45:18):
So we're on the show yesterday.

Speaker 10 (45:19):
With Paul Like, Paul like, I wouldn't even ask this
question if if it didn't come from a place that
has been pretty reliable for me in the past.

Speaker 3 (45:27):
But you know, they're kind of telling me.

Speaker 10 (45:30):
Don't rule out the possibility of coach getting back on
the sideline, Like have you heard anything like that? And
all it is is like people in the know, you know,
tell Greg McElroy Saban's open to returning to the sideline Like.

Speaker 2 (45:41):
No, No, I didn't say that.

Speaker 3 (45:42):
I didn't mean I didn't.

Speaker 2 (45:44):
I'm not trying to get it.

Speaker 10 (45:45):
That's how people like writing articles like most likely landing
spots for code.

Speaker 3 (45:50):
It's like, what are we doing that? It was literally
like a throwaway like.

Speaker 10 (45:55):
Line, and none of us thought it was going to
take off the way it was of simply just getting
Paul's reaction to to it because he's so well informed,
and he immediately shut it down and I kind of
felt the same way.

Speaker 3 (46:05):
So I'm glad that.

Speaker 10 (46:06):
We were in lockstep because what I had heard weeks
before it was a little different than that, so it
didn't intend.

Speaker 1 (46:12):
For it to take off the way it did.

Speaker 10 (46:14):
But that's just the way we are in the media now,
and people freak out react before they even hear the
context of.

Speaker 3 (46:19):
What the conversation was actually like.

Speaker 4 (46:21):
Well, I mean, again, as I've said many times, it
was pretty much from his own station that threw it
out there, his own radio station, So I mean that's
number one. That's why it gets aggregated like crazy. But
does that kind of seal the deal in your opinion
about hey, there's really nothing to.

Speaker 2 (46:36):
This, Well, a couple of things on that one. I
don't think he would ever take the Kansas City job.
You wouldn't want to replace Andy Reid, especially with all
the success that they had. Well, because you're getting an
old Mahomes, then you.

Speaker 3 (46:48):
Know what year talking about it?

Speaker 2 (46:51):
Well, you're not getting the prime years. You're you're talking
about next year, right, I'm assuming you're talking.

Speaker 3 (46:57):
About it next year.

Speaker 4 (46:57):
I just I don't I haven't seen Mahomes show any
signs of slowing down in fortune.

Speaker 2 (47:03):
I did hear from somebody that if he was going
to come back, and I don't think it's going to
be Kansas City. Another name mentioned that was the Miami Dolphins.
And right now, I told you McDaniel's definitely on the
hot seat. If he doesn't get it done, he'll definitely
be fired. Would Nick Saban go back to Miami for
a year or two with Tua as quarterback, to go

(47:24):
ahead and see if they could make some noise out
there with the Dolphins?

Speaker 3 (47:28):
Maybe? I don't think he's coming back at all. I
think that.

Speaker 4 (47:31):
I mean, dude, seventy four, right, I mean he's going
to be seventy four when the season rolls around. I mean,
can we normalize just being retired at sixty seven to
seventy four? I mean Pete Carroll's head coach, of the Raiders.
I'm actually excited and he's doing some great things. But
he's also seventy Arnie. I mean, I plan on being
retired when I'm seventy. You know, I don't want to

(47:52):
be doing much of anything when I'm seventy. So I mean,
is it okay to just say, oh, yeah, he's retired,
he's seventy four, free years old.

Speaker 3 (48:00):
It's okay that he might not ever coach again.

Speaker 2 (48:03):
No, of course, it's probably ninety nine percent that will
never coach again. And that's the way it should be.
You're right seventy four. Enjoy your years, enjoy your grandkids,
enjoy what you do. You're still involved with football, with
the TV. I think he's got the best of both worlds.
I would not come on back, but that you know,
sometimes you get that itch and you know you want
to come back for a year or two and give

(48:24):
it a go by. That's why you leave the point
one percent open. If that's sure, you.

Speaker 4 (48:28):
Know what I will say, though, it does make for
some fascinating talk, does it not?

Speaker 3 (48:33):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (48:33):
It does absolutely, Because I mean there's still people to
this day and I talked to him fairly regularly that
think that Bob Stoops will come back to coach in
college at some point. And I've told you this many times,
and it's it's I've never seen anyone that has enjoyed
retirement more than Bob Stoops. So Bob's only sixty four, right,

(48:54):
and when he retired, he was what fifty seven, You know,
he's pretty young. But I just you start looking around NBA.
Who was one of the first names that was brought
up for the Knicks, Jay Wright, who had just retired, right, Yeah,
for a while, I think it's okay to not try
to force or at the very least for these guys

(49:15):
to say, hey, I'm done coaching young man's game.

Speaker 3 (49:19):
I'm gonna move on to do something else.

Speaker 2 (49:21):
You know, a lot of guys that step away you
feel like they're gonna come back. We always felt like
Jay Wright was good to come back, and then we
wanted that Yeah, yeah, exactly, yeah, Bill Cower and then
after two and three and then five years, Uh, you know,
I always felt like Jimmy was gonna come on back,
but he he just loves retirement so much. Now with

(49:44):
the with the fishing, there's no way, no way in hell,
he's ever gonna come back. You figure after they've got
retirements and then plus they make so much money with
the TV, what three four million dollars a year, why
should they come back and deal with a headache like that.
And it takes up it's so time consuming, and the age,
it's just too much for some guys at that age.

Speaker 3 (50:03):
To be honest, TV has become so.

Speaker 4 (50:08):
Valuable financially for these guys that Prime was making a
run at Sean McVay. I mean, we're two years removed
from when Sean McVay was having serious questions about.

Speaker 3 (50:19):
Do I still want to coach the Rams yep?

Speaker 4 (50:21):
Or do I want to go do TV where I
think he would be brilliant and would make he'd be
that And I know things didn't end well for Gruden,
but I think it would be I think he'd be Gruden,
like I thought Gruden was great as a broadcaster. Gruden's
Cretin's up by trying to go back to coach in
the NFL. But I just I don't know, Arnie. This
was this was fun for a couple of days, right

(50:41):
me being in my college football mindset, being a college
football guy, These types of conversations are the best because
what have we been locked in the mundane talks in
college football right now about college football playoffs?

Speaker 3 (50:55):
How many teams are there going to be? What's the
access gonna look like?

Speaker 4 (50:58):
We haven't even really had a chance until Media Days
kicked off to start talking about teams, and then as
soon as Media Days kick off we get a juicy
rumor like that. I mean, come on, man, it doesn't
get much better. Now if he did.

Speaker 2 (51:11):
Come back, what it would be like for you guys
down there. It'd be absolutely crazy, especially to see what team,
even if it was in the NFL. Maybe going crazy
now about it?

Speaker 4 (51:21):
Where did you see the Miami stuff? Was that just
Was that from Ernie the Dolphin fan?

Speaker 2 (51:26):
No? No, it was from somebody else that I called
to get that information.

Speaker 4 (51:31):
Yes, who you calling to get information from? I don't
want to use your phone at all?

Speaker 2 (51:37):
No, No, this time I did. Though. This time I did,
and I called a fellow host that gave me that information.

Speaker 4 (51:45):
Oh, so you called Bernie and soil Bernie basically said
that he but it was kind of funny. Athlon Sports
had one of the first stories that kind of threw
Nick Saban's name out there to be the next coach
to the Dolphin.

Speaker 3 (52:00):
But we'll see.

Speaker 2 (52:02):
Oh I love it. I would love it, man, Oh
my goodness. If Nick Saban was coaching the Dolphins instead
of the chemistry tutor, be the best thing ever.

Speaker 3 (52:09):
I would love that. Yea. He lives near Miami too.

Speaker 4 (52:13):
So when I say lives near Miami, I mean I'm
reading a story here that could be ai and fake,
but it says speculation squirreled about a bold coaching change.
Paul Finbaum suggested Nick Saban, who lives near Miami, as
a potential replacement, to go down to Miami and shake
the system up.

Speaker 3 (52:30):
It's according to Athlon.

Speaker 2 (52:31):
Sports, there you go. So we're right on that. There
you go, big boy.

Speaker 3 (52:34):
Huh.

Speaker 4 (52:36):
I don't think athlon sports as a pot to you
know what end with this story. I mean it's just
they're aggregating everything they see out there and throwing it
into co pilot and see what ends up sounding the best.
I again, sound like a broken record. I don't think
there's anything to it. I don't think he's going to
come back. But I will say this just as a

(52:56):
general thought. Everyone that's like, why would you want to
go back to college foot ball and coach? You don't
want to deal with nil, right, aren't coaches don't really
having to deal with nil too.

Speaker 2 (53:05):
Much because they get the twenty million dollars and then
after that is.

Speaker 4 (53:08):
Well, I mean, even with the twenty million dollars, the
GMS are not responsible for that in some places. So
you've you've got a situation that's very much becoming NFL
like in college football. And you'll see I'm watching it
firsthand here, I'm watching it at Oklahoma. They've got a
guy in Randall Stevenson who has done an awesome job.

(53:31):
He's just their head of football. And then you got
a general manager who's in charge of salary, cat who's
in charge of laying out the recruiting plans and the personnel.
And you know what, this is a crazy thing. It's
going to be wild, and you guys are their mind's
going to be blown. Do you know what the coach
actually does? He coaches? It's crazy, right.

Speaker 2 (53:48):
Here's a new Yeah, no more. Well, but he still
has to recruit. And you know it's so tough maybe
to go on the road, but you don't have to
go on the road recruiting anymore.

Speaker 4 (53:55):
Yeah, you do, I absolutely do. I mean you still
have to recruit, but you're not recruit. Are looking at
tape of a thousand guys and maybe two of them
are gonna end up being targets. You now have targeted approaches.
So when you're real quick to say, oh, I don't
think it'll go not just you, the royal you. I
don't know, Arnie, some of these places in college. It

(54:17):
wouldn't surprise me at all if people start thinking, Hey,
that's like what it's supposed to be.

Speaker 3 (54:22):
Man, that's awesome.

Speaker 4 (54:24):
Now the schedule for an NFL coach is still infinitely
smoother in the off season then the schedule for a
college coach.

Speaker 3 (54:31):
But I'm just it's not as bad as it once was.

Speaker 4 (54:33):
So don't don't count out college for any big name
right now.

Speaker 3 (54:38):
But seventy four, like you said, that's up. It's okay.

Speaker 2 (54:42):
You just want to chill. You don't want to be
going grinding like that every day after day at that age,
at least, I wouldn't want to, No.

Speaker 3 (54:49):
Not at all all.

Speaker 4 (54:50):
Right, when we come back to the Fox Sports Radio studios, Arnie,
I don't know if we all got kind of hoodwinked
on the wording of this report, but we still have
no ideas we shift to the NBA. What's gonna happen
with Lebron James?

Speaker 3 (55:05):
Right?

Speaker 4 (55:05):
Every since and you talk, you thought he was really angry.
But every since they had the report that came out
where his agent Rich Paul said he wants to make
sure that he's playing for a contender. I'm paraphrasing. YadA, YadA, YadA.
We haven't really heard anything, right, didn't do the interview last.

Speaker 3 (55:20):
Week and quiet off.

Speaker 4 (55:23):
Very quiet, And then we got the report that Lebron
James would want a retirement tour. Well, I'm gonna play
the report, not just the aggregated piece.

Speaker 2 (55:31):
Where it's real.

Speaker 3 (55:33):
You had me thinking it wasn't real.

Speaker 4 (55:36):
I'm gonna play the report so you can hear what
the guy says.

Speaker 2 (55:39):
Good enough for me, Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (55:41):
Hey, the report was Lebron James will have a retirement tour.

Speaker 3 (55:45):
That was the report.

Speaker 4 (55:46):
When you hear the actual wording, I think it'll change
your mind a little bit, just a little bit, And
we'll play for you. Next is we try to figure
out what's next for Lebron James. And here we are
an hour and fifteen minutes into the show. Are he
and we haven't talked about the move that has changed
the Lakers trajectory or at least made Laker fans feel

(56:07):
a little bit better. Marcus Smart talk as well, next
with Arning Plank right here on Fox Sports Radio. It's
Arning Plank, you know, Fox Sports Radio. A couple of
quick Twitter reactions to the Nick Saban conversation. Mister Nobody writes,
if it wasn't for who said it, the Nick Saban
stuff would have gotten zero traction. He doesn't like NFL

(56:29):
and he wouldn't have had enough control to be an
NFL coach. To me, it's much to do about nothing.

Speaker 2 (56:35):
Agre's probably right about that, But because it came from McElroy,
and you know, when they put something like that out there,
and then Fine Bomb was talking about it with him,
so I could see, you know, all the turmoil, I
guess about it. But I agree with him it's much
ado about nothing.

Speaker 3 (56:53):
I will say.

Speaker 4 (56:54):
The one thing that I found fascinating in just seeing
the reaction is how quickly some people were saying, oh, yeah, well,
obviously he won't go back to Bama, right, that wouldn't
be a possibility.

Speaker 2 (57:06):
But that's what I thought, Yeah, I.

Speaker 4 (57:08):
Mean, Alabama doesn't have a playoff year. I mean, there's
not a lot of patience in old Alabama. Man, they're
not gonna They're not gonna wait for Kaylen to boar now,
and I think he's awesome. I don't think Kaylen to
Board is gonna get fired, don't get me wrong. But
everyone that's like, oh yeah, I mean, obviously he's not
gonna go back to Bama. But of all the places
where I thought, yeah, why not, that's one that I thought, Hey,

(57:31):
Klea Bor has a bad year, look out, Jason B.

Speaker 3 (57:34):
Diamond Rights.

Speaker 4 (57:35):
You could set the over under at point five games attended,
and I'll take the under.

Speaker 2 (57:40):
Oh wow, No, don't be ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (57:44):
It's uh.

Speaker 2 (57:45):
I'm going to games. That's that's my job. Man, Come on,
I'm going to games out there. Well way, is there
a coach? Is there a coach that you would love
to see come back?

Speaker 4 (57:53):
Saban would be up there, that'd be that'd probably be.
That'd probably number one right now. I think in basketball
it wouldn't mind. And Jay Wright come back. I think
that'd be a good one. Bob Stoops, you know, still
relatively young. I don't know what Spurriers Steve Spurrier is
up to. I mean, that's a that's another guy that
you know is pretty much done about everything he's coaching.

(58:15):
I think he's coaching about every football league there's ever been.
But he's also I mean.

Speaker 3 (58:19):
Gosh, Steve Spurrier is eighty.

Speaker 4 (58:22):
Wow, he's he probably pretty much been so done, but
looks great for eighty. But yeah, that'd probably be it.
And then there was one more here that I wanted
to get to. RUSSV is the Goat Rights. Isn't Arnie
a multi millionaire? He can easily afford the high New
York and Connecticut taxes with the money made from his
TV show.

Speaker 2 (58:39):
Yeah, taxes are kind of taxes are a little bit
high Connecticut. I will tell you that, Chris. I was
a little a little shocked about that when I was
looking at homes the other day.

Speaker 4 (58:49):
There very's why you needed That's why you needed to
come to Goldsbey. I thought you were coming. Oklahoma had
everything on set for you.

Speaker 2 (58:54):
I wanted them. Prices were I can't afford your neighborhood, though,
is the problem down there in Oklahoma?

Speaker 4 (59:00):
So, Arnie, you sent me among the twenty two text messages.

Speaker 2 (59:03):
By the way, there is a story that you were
pushing that I would never be right about and I'm
kind of right about.

Speaker 4 (59:13):
Well your I mean, it's your show. So would you
rather do the Lebron stuff I teed up here? Or
what are you talking about?

Speaker 2 (59:19):
We could do the Lebron stuff first?

Speaker 4 (59:20):
Now, go ahead, go ahead. What is it that you
think that you're going to be right about that? I said,
you never be righting Roman numeral number six, I don't
have the Roman numerals in front of me.

Speaker 2 (59:29):
The World series where it could go streaming only? And
remember what I told you, I think that the super
Bowl was going to be something that is going to
be pay per view or right and streaming only. And
you're like, no, that's never going.

Speaker 3 (59:40):
To no, no, be clear. I said the super Bowl
will never be pay per view.

Speaker 2 (59:46):
Never go ahead. But you think it could be streaming
though I.

Speaker 3 (59:49):
Think it is. It's streaming right now.

Speaker 2 (59:52):
Well streaming only, I met, no stream It's.

Speaker 3 (59:54):
Not ever going to be streaming only.

Speaker 4 (59:56):
It's the biggest rated event in the history of tele
in the television world every year. It's the only reason
why terrestrial television is even relevant anymore.

Speaker 3 (01:00:06):
Or what what TV shows do you watch? You mean?
Just like what TV shows do you watch it art
on Netflix or Prime?

Speaker 7 (01:00:13):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (01:00:14):
I don't know exactly you but what do you make
sure to watch back in the day?

Speaker 3 (01:00:18):
Yeah, back in the day? He arting shows tonight.

Speaker 4 (01:00:22):
So when you're talking about the super Bowl, it's why ABC, NBC,
CBS pay ridiculous amounts of money for their NFL contract
because the money that they make on Super Bowl sponsorships
and viewership it kind of helps floats the boat. It's
like it's like football at college campuses. It pays for
everything else. So that's why I believe that the NFL

(01:00:45):
and the Super Bowl is never going to be a
streaming only or a pay per view event.

Speaker 2 (01:00:48):
What about the World Series? Do you believe that that
could only be streaming at one point?

Speaker 4 (01:00:52):
And maybe I don't even do they even have a deal.
I mean, isn't Fox pretty much in bed with them
for the World Series for a while now?

Speaker 2 (01:00:59):
I thought they were, but I mean, I don't know
if maybe they're talking about when their contract is up though,
So what are they saying that you know, it could
be on the streaming only version. I don't think they.

Speaker 4 (01:01:10):
Were just talking about like the regular season games and stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:01:13):
No, it was I think it was the World Series,
And I'm like, get out of here. You're gonna put
the World Series on streaming only? I mean, how are
people going to be able to find it? How are
you going to measure that? How how can you monetize it?
And that's something that you brought up to me when
I was talking about the Super Bowl until they learned
how to monetize it. Look, if they could monetize Super
Bowl on pay per view, believe me, they'll do that, Chris,

(01:01:34):
if they could make more money putting it on that.

Speaker 3 (01:01:37):
How many clicks did you put into this story?

Speaker 2 (01:01:41):
Why did did I get a bogu?

Speaker 3 (01:01:42):
Is this NBA? No? No, no, I'm just I'm just asking
how many clicks you put into.

Speaker 2 (01:01:46):
I don't know, I don't remember. There were so many
stories I sent. I can't remember. There so many.

Speaker 4 (01:01:51):
The possibility, as outlined in a hypothetical scenario in a
column by Richard Daish, that the World Series would be
a streaming exclusive of event in twenty thirty two. Well,
the possibility hasn't been teased or talked about yet by
Major League Baseball. It's not the first time someone has
wondered about this kind of stuff as part of Dysch's column,

(01:02:13):
several MLB broadcasters were asked about how they would feel
about the hypothetical situation. Yeah, yeah, hypothetical situation, Arnie, I mean,
you're acting like Rob Manfred came out and said, stream
the World Series next year.

Speaker 2 (01:02:27):
Manfred said enough, believe me Manford at all.

Speaker 3 (01:02:30):
Did you have a problem with anything that he said?

Speaker 4 (01:02:32):
Though?

Speaker 2 (01:02:35):
I was kind of shocked that he was so open
and honest, especially when it comes to money, because you
know how owners are. They never like to admit what
they're making or open the books unless they're not doing
very well. So I guess he's in a tough situation.
Maybe he's desperate. Maybe that's why.

Speaker 3 (01:02:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:02:52):
He met Tuesday with the Baseball Writers of Association Baseball
Writers Association of America. Manfred heightened his call for a
systematic overhaul in the game's economics, citing historical disruption in
the existing revenue models, such as the regional sports networks.
I would read this paragraph, but it's very boring. Manford

(01:03:13):
also pointed to the top ten percent of MLB players
earning nearly three quarters of all the salaries. So I
don't know that he I don't know where you would
be shocked or upset by what he said.

Speaker 3 (01:03:26):
I mean, it's pretty much on point.

Speaker 2 (01:03:28):
I would think that's more true for the NBA, and
their salaries are absolutely outrageous, as you brought up earlier,
and nour number one that I feel that's not going
to be sustainable, especially you know how much TV money
is there going to be year in and year out,
and Baseball struggled with the TV deal. They're sure I

(01:03:50):
had to go back to ESPN to try to get
something done. I don't know where they stand on that
right now, but he's kind of right about that. He's worried,
and that's really not directly from him. You know that's
coming from the owners, don't you. They're They're like, Ben, Rob,
we can't be paying these salaries right now. We're not
getting the TV money like we thought we were.

Speaker 3 (01:04:10):
I hear you, I hear you.

Speaker 4 (01:04:11):
All right, it's already in playing Roland on a Sunday
night into a Monday morning, big night tonight.

Speaker 3 (01:04:16):
It's Mallard Palusa. Were you aware of that?

Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:04:19):
I did.

Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
What what are they doing on the mallepol.

Speaker 4 (01:04:21):
No, Mallard Paluza. Man, it's a big one. You got
a talent show. I mean, I've got I've had people
using our Friday show. It's like star search. It's where
they're trying things out for Ben so H Mallard Paluza
coming up next. A very exciting night, and no one
is more excited than Steve the Sakar, Who's got what's trending?

Speaker 3 (01:04:41):
What's going on?

Speaker 8 (01:04:42):
Steve, We support our coworker and long.

Speaker 3 (01:04:45):
Time pal oh big Ben.

Speaker 8 (01:04:47):
By the way, as far as the Fox Baseball coverage,
I believe their current deal has three more years after
this year. What's currently up forbidding is ESPN wants their
baseball peck. It's cheaper, so they've opted out, and they
currently have Sunday Nights. They have the Home Run Derby,
which still rates very well every July, and they have

(01:05:08):
the first round of the playoffs. So ESPN is bidding
on that, but so is Apple, and so is NBC.
Because remember NBC's not only got Sunday Night Football, They're
now going to have Sunday Night Basketball. What if they
also get Sunday Night Baseball? Oh my goodness, just a thought.
But Major League Baseball All Star Game is still the
king of the All Star games in the TV ratings

(01:05:29):
as TV ratings are just horrible across the board. I
mean last week in the whole country, all of the
channels combined. You know, the networks used to dominate things,
not so much anymore. I know it's summer, but among
all the networks last week, there were only three shows
that got more than three and a half million viewers.

(01:05:51):
That includes sixty Minutes, which has been on the air
since the beginning of time, right, but the All Star
Game got over seven million viewers. And that's I mean
even the home runner we got more than the NBA
All Star.

Speaker 2 (01:06:03):
What were they getting back in the day, like Happy
Days and lavernon Shirley that.

Speaker 8 (01:06:07):
Was sometimes thirty million views.

Speaker 2 (01:06:09):
Oh my gosh, oh my good exactly.

Speaker 8 (01:06:12):
That's the kind of crazy. Yeah, that's like the only
thing that gets that now is the NFL.

Speaker 2 (01:06:17):
And that was regular. That's not just those two shows
you're talking. That's like all the shows.

Speaker 8 (01:06:23):
That's all like the stream of the crop type of shows.
Like when Mork and Mindy was hot, right right, right right,
you know, Gary Marshall, Mork and Mindy was his because
it was a spin off from Happy Days and that
was his and Lavern and Shirley starring his sister. Was
also a spinoff from Happy Days, which was his.

Speaker 2 (01:06:41):
Like every night there was a big show on.

Speaker 8 (01:06:43):
Yeah, let's just say the network was doing quite.

Speaker 2 (01:06:45):
Well for a million Wow.

Speaker 8 (01:06:48):
Well, Scottie Scheffler won the Open. It was in Northern
Ireland this morning our time. But the Open went to
a guy who's won four majors now a four stroke
victory after a final round sixty eight. Harris English finished second.
This guy has taken the PGA Championship in May by
five strokes, won this major by four. He also has
two Masters titles, and the last eleven times he's led

(01:07:09):
after fifty four holes, he has won the event, Like
this weekend. Denny Hamlin the NASCAR winner at Dover, his
fourth victory this season. Chase Briscoe finished second. There was
a nearly one hour rain delay late in the race.
Chase Elliott in the standings now has a sixteen point
lead over William Byron with five races left in the
regular season, first time he's led this year. Just four

(01:07:30):
races left in the IndyCar season. Next Sunday, also on
Fox TV, Indy Cars at Northern California's Road Course in
moder Ray, Pato Award today on the Streets of Toronto
was the winner, taking the IndyCar Events series leader Alex
Polot finished twelve and the NBA Summer League season is
over in Las Vegas tonight, the championship game, in a
battle of five and oo teams, goes to the Hornets

(01:07:53):
eighty three to seventy eight over the Kings. First rounder
from Duke com kanneppol is game MVP at twenty one
points and seven foot center.

Speaker 2 (01:08:02):
You will see after the game that Ravens was it
rings and watches or I don't even know what the
hell they're giving everybody. I'm like, that's more bling than
when you win the w NBA or something.

Speaker 8 (01:08:13):
It looked a little bit like the rings that the
Dodger fans are getting in the Monday Night giveaway. I'm
guessing they're a little more genuine, but I'm telling you
it did look.

Speaker 2 (01:08:23):
Like it did. Did you see that basketball was blinged out?

Speaker 3 (01:08:26):
I'm like, wow, look at all this.

Speaker 8 (01:08:29):
Uh okay, it was the Summer League and it lasted
ten days, but okay.

Speaker 2 (01:08:34):
It was celebrating though, like it was a big deal,
hugging each other like we did it. We did it.

Speaker 8 (01:08:39):
I'm not coming down on them, Okay, it's alright, it's okay.

Speaker 2 (01:08:45):
Somebody needs to slap them as they wake up. Man,
you're not gonna be played.

Speaker 4 (01:08:49):
For some of it be the highlight of their career
ectly exactly.

Speaker 8 (01:08:52):
It's just astounding to me how and granted it was
only a ten day season. Yeah, it's stunning to me.
How many guys that you'd heard of didn't play the
last five or six days. It's like two games, Okay,
we've seen him shutting down him Those two games good enough,
you two, yeah, go ahead and sit.

Speaker 2 (01:09:13):
Can't do the two whole weeks.

Speaker 8 (01:09:15):
Looking at box scores this week, and it was a
veritable Who's that of the world of basketball. In Major
League Baseball, tonight, Detroit ended a six game losing streak,
winning two to one at Texas. Terrek schoobl is a
sensational pitcher. He is the Cy Young winner from last year.
After all. No decision for him tonight, but the Tiger
starter did have eleven strikeouts in six and two third innings,

(01:09:38):
yet another start this year where he has at least
ten strikeouts, no walks, and allows one runner less. He's
done that five different times this year. So that's a
very rare thing to do five times for a full season.
He's already done it by what. July the twentieth, Milwaukee
won its tenth straight game, beating the Dodgers six', Five

(01:09:59):
houston And boston with Wins toronto Said San francisco to
a fifth straight loss The. Yankees Aaron judge hit his
thirty sixth homer in A New york victory At atlanta
four to. Two philly's Loss Metsjan mets just a half
game back of the fields in THE. Nls back to, YOU.

Speaker 4 (01:10:14):
I don't Think scuba wanted to come out of that game, Tonight.
Steve i'm watching the. Highway he seems.

Speaker 8 (01:10:19):
To have a little more, also you, know he had
JUST i think it was the reliever right after him
on a wild pitch gave up the, runs so he
didn't have a chance to get the. Win so he
had just gotten into. Trouble AND i agree most starters
would not want to come by by the.

Speaker 2 (01:10:35):
Way i'm, sorry But Clayton, kershaw you bringing a.

Speaker 8 (01:10:39):
Baseball oh he should sue a non support the defense
behind him Today and.

Speaker 2 (01:10:43):
You're right about, That but unacceptable behavior in the dugout completely.
Unacceptable he slapped his palms on the. Floor oh he
did more than.

Speaker 3 (01:10:52):
That he threw the mid. Down he threw a.

Speaker 2 (01:10:54):
Tantrum stop, it, man don't make. Excuses he you showing
up your fellow teammates when when you're doing.

Speaker 8 (01:11:01):
Not the first game that The, dodgers let's just say
the outfield, Specifically, Yes i've not been befitting a contending.

Speaker 3 (01:11:11):
TEAM i don't know how he missed.

Speaker 8 (01:11:12):
That did you see the line drive to center? Exactly
it's From. Cuba more and more reminds me Of Yasio,
puig the Former dodger From, cuba where you can get
greatness or just head. Scratching how in the world did
that happen to a major league? Player and both things
happened in this one game, Today paz with a line

(01:11:33):
drive to him that he closed the glove on. Air
the ball just flew right past his. HEAD i missed it, entirely.

Speaker 2 (01:11:40):
Didn't see it in slow more, like how did he
not did the?

Speaker 8 (01:11:43):
Ball and then same game a leaping catch up against
the wall crashing to the. Turf its just it's the same.
Guy the outfield defense is let's just say unreliable AND
i will say yet, AGAIN i am still not convinced
that The dodgers are a better Teaming Mookie bets at short.
Stop he's hitting two forty as a short stuff this.

(01:12:04):
Year he was a five or six Time Gold glover
in right, field and now they're playing mix and match
defensively in the. Outfield it's not.

Speaker 2 (01:12:11):
Working he's been going back to, leadoff Right.

Speaker 8 (01:12:13):
He did lead off today and not just put first. Time,
yeah he Had saturday night off quote unquote.

Speaker 4 (01:12:20):
Off and then it became a big story Because Dave
roberts is, like, well you, know it's not a rest.

Speaker 3 (01:12:26):
Day it was, like, What, yeah he's.

Speaker 8 (01:12:29):
Bad in other, words he was bet this, month even
after the one for five, Today he's ten for fifty
three at the plate In. July this is guy whose
career batting average is two ninety. One Mookie bets is
hitting two forty this. Season Ten i'm riding ten for
fifty three In.

Speaker 3 (01:12:45):
July that is.

Speaker 4 (01:12:46):
Crazy For, wow that's a right more Of steve coming

Speaker 3 (01:13:12):
TV i was gonna, say you want to pretend you're
with THE tv?

Speaker 2 (01:13:15):
People in ALL i do like to PRETEND i am
A tv.

Speaker 4 (01:13:17):
Guy Colin, wright The Super bowl will never be pay per,
view but THE afc AND nfc championship games could absolutely
be in the next ten.

Speaker 3 (01:13:25):
Years you believe, That, Chris you don't.

Speaker 2 (01:13:28):
Know, YEAH i.

Speaker 4 (01:13:29):
DON'T i think it's all part of the package that
these networks pay so much money for from THE. Nfl
if if in some magical, way shape or, form THE
nfl finds a business model where they can make more
money doing.

Speaker 3 (01:13:45):
THAT i just don't do. That it's. Possible, YEAH i
don't see that it's.

Speaker 4 (01:13:48):
Possible and Then Josh, wright speaking of, rings what did
you guys think of The Eagles Super bowl?

Speaker 2 (01:13:53):
RINGS i thought it Was, Look i'm not An eagles,
fan BUT i thought it was fantastic with the wings.

Speaker 3 (01:13:58):
And all That, yeah that was.

Speaker 2 (01:13:59):
Great what a great. Design of, course the wings will
be broken in the week or, something BUT i love.
IT i think it was.

Speaker 4 (01:14:07):
Fantastic if you, were let's, say, Hypothetically Arnie spaniel was
the play by play voice of The Philadelphia. Eagles, yes
and he got A Super bowl. Ring would you ever wear?

Speaker 2 (01:14:17):
It? Oh hell?

Speaker 3 (01:14:18):
Yeah what do you? Kidds whether you do to deserve that? Ring? Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:14:22):
Nothing BUT i was with the. TEAM i just Say

of like a.

Speaker 4 (01:14:29):

Echiro suzuki also to be honored next, WEEK C. C,
sabbathia And Billy. Wagner, Also Dave parker And Dick, allen

Elected MAYBE i should.

Speaker 2 (01:15:07):
Go it's not that far from.

Speaker 3 (01:15:08):
Me it's not that.

Speaker 8 (01:15:10):
Far arnie will not. Attend how far.

Speaker 2 (01:15:13):
Do you think it is from my house right?

Speaker 8 (01:15:14):
Now most of The New York?

Speaker 3 (01:15:17):
City, YEAH i don't. Know it's a four hour.

Speaker 8 (01:15:20):
Drive they do pass out free water to the. Fans you,
know it's a Sunny july.

Speaker 2 (01:15:23):
Four, hours one hundred and fifty two. Miles that's not about.

Speaker 8 (01:15:27):
It other snacks are available for, Purchase. Arnie is that
going to keep you?

Speaker 3 (01:15:30):
Away?

Speaker 8 (01:15:30):
Oh one other note On Trek. Scooble as The tigers
get back in the wing column, tonight he did something,
rare at least in this century for a picture his
first twenty starts of the, season he not only has
less than twenty, walks but over one hundred and fifty
strikeouts already this. Season in, Fact Clayton kershaw had done
that twice two different seasons about a decade. Ago Max

(01:15:52):
schurzer had that kind of start a decade. Ago but
right now it's over one hundred and sixty strikeouts For,
schooble and in twenty starts he has only sixteen.

Speaker 3 (01:16:01):
Walks at this.

Speaker 4 (01:16:02):
Point he's got one of those names THAT i know,
it but every TIME i see it written, DOWN i
want to say it, wrong Like Scabelle. Scubble i'm SURE
i was all excited about him last, night And i'm
sitting here, like DID i say that? Right because IF
i had Scoobl but WHENEVER i see it Spelled, steve
for some, REASON i want to say it the wrong.

Speaker 3 (01:16:20):
Way they always think scoo. Ball that's WHAT i.

Speaker 8 (01:16:24):
Said they did have A Scooby doo animated graphic for
The Sunday Night like that helps me a lot out,
Exactly Derek. Scooble just call him scoob.

Speaker 3 (01:16:33):
Scoop, yeah there You, goobes.

Speaker 8 (01:16:35):
And then get the Little Casey caseum voice of the,
Dog Casey. Casem by the, way who used to do
Is americas? Forty? Yeah you know our THE i MEAN
i literally looking at the studio where he used to
work down our hallways. Here did you see the video
of The braves accusing The yankees of cheating? Today the

(01:16:56):
runner at second, Base Chas, chisel apparently motioned to the
batter at the plate his teammate a fastball might be,
coming and it, was and there was a sacfly and
When chisholm made his way around to, third there was
definite yelling from The Atlanta braves. DUGOUT i need to
say first and foremost, loudly this is not at all.

(01:17:17):
Illegal has gone on for many decades in baseball that
you can motion from second base if you can get
away with. It this has nothing to do with The
Houston astros out and out cheating that involved, electronics which
is completely. Illegal to set up a camera and steal
signs and bag on a trash can to tell them

(01:17:37):
if a fastball's coming or. Not this is completely. Different,
apparently what might ALERT mlb to investigate this is an
assistant and Former braves Catcher Eddie perez was motioning to
his head to the runner at third Base chisholm after
the quote, cheating which really. Wasn't and that makes it look,

(01:17:59):
like you, know we have a way to get even with,
you and that is to throw at your. Head and
so they asked the assistant afterwards say, NO i was just,
saying be smart like the.

Speaker 3 (01:18:07):
Guy he's one of my.

Speaker 8 (01:18:08):
Favorites, yeah, okay all. Right we do have a trade
deadline coming. Up we'll see if A HENNI O suarez
gets dealt out Of. Arizona they did win over Slumping
Saint louis five to. Three, Today suarez with two more.
Homers he has thirty five homers eighty five.

Speaker 2 (01:18:21):
RBIs there's never been anybody with more home runs traded
this late in the. SEASON i think.

Speaker 8 (01:18:29):
You know that sounds, Right but after tonight's track history
With Arnie, Spaniard i'm not sure we're about oh for three.

Speaker 2 (01:18:35):
Tonight, No, NO i THINK i THINK i gotta be right.
Once all, RIGHT i gotta be right. Once, no you don't.
THINK i don't think anybody with that many odds.

Speaker 8 (01:18:44):
Are it's not that kind of thing where any statement
that comes, out, oh this one has to be.

Speaker 3 (01:18:48):
SOONER i got to be right about.

Speaker 8 (01:18:50):
SOMETHING a long time baseball Writer Bob nightingale points out
that these are the home run totals for major leaguers
since The All star break of a year, ago so
this is a full year of. Baseball Aaron judge has
sixty homers Since All star break of twenty twenty, Four
Shoeo tani has fifty. Nine A U Hennio suarez has
hit fifty five home runs since The All star break

(01:19:13):
of a year. Ago astounding The dodgers have lost ten of,
twelve lost at home To, milwaukee although sho Heeo tani
did hit his thirty fourth home. Run The dodger lead
only two and a half weeks ago was nine games
in THE Nl. West it's down to three and a
half a half over The. Padres so that lead The
dodgers built up by doing well head to head against

(01:19:35):
The padres And, giants that's the only thing saving them
at this. Point The padres win was At washington eight
one today and they Beat Mackenzie, gore a Former padre,
who AS i, recall was traded WITH. Cj Ebert. Abrams
it was young talent going four To Juan, soto which
The padres just rented as it turned, out but this
Guy gore Against San diego was down eight to nothing

(01:19:56):
in the third. Inning nationals record thirty nine and The
Pittsburgh pirates record thirty nine and sixty one after losing
at home to The White sox all weekend seven to
two was today's. Final these are The White sox that
had a road record of eleven and thirty six this
year until this weekend when they won three straight At.
Pittsburgh The pirates offense in this loss went four for

(01:20:21):
twenty nine with eleven. Strikeouts Kansas city And cleveland each
Won baltimore as. Well The mets are only a half
game back in THE Nl. East, boy there are some
good teams this. Year those two Included brewers certainly having
won ten in a. Row we mentioned The tigers as,
well with the best record in The, nations The yankees
In toronto as well The. Cubs most, Definitely cubs And

(01:20:42):
brewers tied for first in THE Nl. Central but The
mets game was won with a run in the bottom
of the, eighth three to two Over. Cincinnati The reds
had just tied the game in the top of the
eighth on a basis loaded hit Batter Pete alonso did
not play due to a bruised.

Speaker 3 (01:20:56):
Hand oh what was?

Speaker 7 (01:20:59):
He?

Speaker 3 (01:21:00):
Was the Polar bear still?

Speaker 4 (01:21:01):
Upset was he popping his fist because he didn't get
that opportunity to be in the home?

Speaker 3 (01:21:05):
RUN a showdown in the in the what the tenth?
Inning love that? Guy all?

Speaker 4 (01:21:09):
Right there is the. Segment we'll come back with your
tweets next On Fox Sports.

Speaker 1 (01:21:14):

Speaker 2 (01:21:37):

number thirty. SIX u huh for The. Lakers No laker
has ever worn number thirty. Six get out first, Here,
yeah that's ever ever ever and that, yeah, yeah and
you would think somebody had warned, it says, Here Marcus

(01:21:58):
smart will continue worry number thirty, six the first player
In laker history to wear that. Number that's not that
far fetched of a. Number that nobody's ever had it.
BEFORE i didn't at LEAST i didn't think.

Speaker 3 (01:22:10):
So but.

Speaker 4 (01:22:11):
Uh the always RELIABLE ai claims that In july of twenty,
four The lakers Signed Blake hinson and a Male Armel
troy to two way. Contracts hinson was assigned number thirty.
Six but, yeah that's. It he never he never played any. Game,

(01:22:31):
wow that's.

Speaker 2 (01:22:31):
Crazy thirty, six, Man not.

Speaker 4 (01:22:34):
That there's all a ton of famous like thirty six
is in the history Of lakers but how about.

Speaker 2 (01:22:41):
Is there any famous thirty six is?

Speaker 3 (01:22:43):
PERIOD i, mean who's the first one that comes to?

Speaker 2 (01:22:46):
MIND i don't, think, EDNY i don't have nobody that
comes to mind as a number thirty.

Speaker 4 (01:22:50):
Six all, Right I've i've counted on ai here most Famous,
Okay Jerome Bettis.

Speaker 5 (01:22:55):

Speaker 2 (01:23:08):
In That wow, number more people were zero and double
zero nowadays than, THAT i.

Speaker 4 (01:23:14):
Guess according to Pig skin dispatch dot, com there is
no one even close to the profile Of Jerome betts
who wore number thirty.

Speaker 3 (01:23:26):
Six Brian westbrook war thirty, Six Lawyer. Malloy how COULD
i forget the great Lawyer? Malloy Tim mulloy's dad war
number thirty Six hall Of Famer, Paul.

one that really kind of jumps out Is Jerome.

Speaker 2 (01:23:44):
Bettis, YEAH i wouldn't get that. Number that's kind of
a bad, NUMBER i.

Speaker 4 (01:23:48):
GUESS i guess so, well there you. GO i had no.
Idea what do you think of the acquisition? Though, OH
i think it's. FANTASTIC i really.

Speaker 2 (01:23:55):
Do first of, all gives you a, Defense it gives
you a, toughness it gives you, rebounding does give you
a score, Too and he's had you, KNOW i think
he shoots the three pointer a little too, Much BUT
i like. HIM i think The celtics really missed his.
TOUGHNESS i don't think they ever really wanted to get
rid of. Him BUT i Like Marcus smart a.

Speaker 4 (01:24:11):
Lot, yeah he nine teams are excuse, me nine seasons
with The celtics and now he's with his fourth team
in the last three.

Speaker 3 (01:24:18):
Years that's pretty. Crazy that's pretty crazy to.

Speaker 2 (01:24:20):
Me but the, player he's that type of guy that you,
need especially when it comes to the. PLAYOFFS i mean the,
toughness the, defense the, rebounding, everything he'll do it for.
YOU i, LIKE i just love the, guy really.

Speaker 4 (01:24:33):
Do and it's AND i guess in some ways it's
an attitude that The lakers didn't really have last. Year you,
Know Dwayn Finney smith came over and he's HE'S i
think he's a better player Than Marcus. Smart at this
time in their, careers but didn't really get to showcase
it very. Much Marcus smart brings you guy kind Of

(01:24:56):
Tony Allen. Esk he brings an, attitude he brings a
little bit of a of a tough.

Speaker 3 (01:25:00):
Guy they don't have to. Listen they gonna need that.

Speaker 2 (01:25:02):
Man he's The Sophie cunningham of The.

Goodn and it really came down. QUICK i thought it was.

Speaker 2 (01:25:55):
FANTASTIC i didn't THINK espn was the right place for
them at the time they, signed what was it a
couple of YEARS i don't remember how many years, ago
and they weren't really given a fair. SHARE i love
Port nooy because he's just so, outspoken he's so. Brash,
uh you. KNOW i like the whole barstool. THING i
think it's a great. Edition now are they going to
do two hours or one?

Speaker 3 (01:26:16):
HOUR i think two. Hours it's a two hour block
is What i've been so it's going to be what
a two or no? Idea you started getting it at.

Speaker 4 (01:26:28):
TIMES i didn't even know half those people they got no,
fence no. Fens half those people that got canned By
Fox sports and those shows that got shut, Down i'd
never heard it before in my, life no.

Speaker 3 (01:26:39):

That yeah you watched, Those YEAH i.

Speaker 3 (01:26:45):
Did you were the. ONE i was the.

Speaker 2 (01:26:46):
ONE i was the one that was watching. It BUT
i Think portnoy's going to be a great. Addition they
want him to be more of a big ten homer
because he went To michigan to OFFSET, espn and their
sec homer is. Them you, KNOW i don't know if
it makes that much of a, difference BUT i just
think it's something that's going to get more eyes to the.

(01:27:07):
Network and they're. FUNNY i think they're actually funny, guys
SO i think it's all going to work.

Speaker 3 (01:27:13):
Out they like. Sports that's WHAT i dig about.

Speaker 4 (01:27:16):
It, yeah is it's dudes that love. SPORTS i think
too many times ON tv and too many times in,
media we have people that just seem to hate sports and.

Speaker 3 (01:27:26):
All they want to do is grinch and.

Speaker 4 (01:27:28):
Moan you're kind of guilty that sometimes aren't wow grinch
and moan about. Everything you need it to be, perfect
for you to truly for it to be, great it's
got to be. Incredible AND i think that especially with
the influx and the allowance of gambling, talk it's added
a whole new level of excitement and. Energy so to,

(01:27:50):
ME i think it's a brilliant move, because, like you're,
right they're, funny but it's Also.

Speaker 3 (01:27:56):
Arnie it's also dudes that just love sports.

Speaker 4 (01:28:00):
As part of the, Relationship barstool will produce and deliver
a live two hour program Here monday Through friday On
Fox Sports. One further details Launching dat And window will
be announced at a later.

Speaker 2 (01:28:11):

Speaker 4 (01:28:15):
Knew there was a hidden reason behind this suck up
that was going on over the last five.

Speaker 3 (01:28:20):

Speaker 4 (01:28:23):
Do you And frank The tank could do A mets.

Speaker 3 (01:28:26):
SEGMENT i LOVE.

Speaker 2 (01:28:27):
I Love frank The, TANK i really. DO i follow
him On. Twitter he's a Big met. FAN i bet
he's got a glasses deal because he twists his glasses
like crazy all the. Time BUT i don't, know, MAN
i would hang out With. Frank IF i, COULD i
go out with, anybody it'd Be. Frank just watching The,
meds The, knicks stuff like. That, see that's WHY i

(01:28:48):
gotta go to the. GAMES i gotta go out, there you.

Speaker 3 (01:28:50):
Know you.

Speaker 4 (01:28:50):
Know the one thing that's going to be interesting about
this is to see if there is, pushback because to,
me no one cared about the. Shows well Outside i'm,
sorry outside Of. Arnie no one watched the shows that
were on. Before NOW i THINK i would make it
a point to see what Like Big cat and these
guys have to say on a regular. Basis you, KNOW

(01:29:12):
i couldn't have cared less what He manulacho has to say.

Speaker 3 (01:29:15):
About anything in.

Speaker 4 (01:29:17):
Life now As goofy's it might Seem i'm going to
be all about Watching frank make HIS tv. Debut they
can they already? Do they have enough content on barstool right?
Now like the walks he does are. PHENOMENAL i think
it's going to be a, HIT i really, do because
we're looking for. Something, OKAY i Maybe i've aged, out
but at least in my, World i'm looking for something

(01:29:40):
where people like, sports you, know and they're not always
fighting about, it and when the fight is, on it's
something that's irrelevant to like the personality of the.

Speaker 3 (01:29:48):
Player everything has become so.

Speaker 4 (01:29:49):
Personal it's, Like, oh you suck and you're, terrible AND
i think you're a bad.

Speaker 3 (01:29:54):
Person LIKE i.

Speaker 4 (01:29:54):
DON'T i JUST i want to watch. SPORTS i want
people to care about sports. Again it's BECOME i don't,
know people are too angry about the wrong. Things let's
get angry about a team, losing not about a guy's
personality or having constant conversations about, Legacies. ARNIE i mean
constant conversations in the sports world about. Legacies you lose

(01:30:15):
a playoff, game you fall behind two games to, one
it's not, man what a game last? Night it suddenly
becomes what does this mean for his legacy if he?

Speaker 3 (01:30:22):
Loses in this, series.

Speaker 4 (01:30:23):
Here's our eighteen person, PANEL i just want to have
a hang and chill and hang and talking.

Speaker 2 (01:30:28):
Sports they won't back down. Either they won't be, afraid
which is WHAT i love about. Them they're gonna feel
free to say whatever the hell they want to. Say
there won't be any, backlash there will be a turn
it down or calm it. Down they're gonna be free
to do whatever they want to. Do so that's that's
WHY i think it's gonna be a really good.

Speaker 3 (01:30:47):
Show it's amazing what, Happens.

Speaker 4 (01:30:50):
Arnie whenever you're in a setting we're Very We're we've
been in this setting for what over a decade, now
where you don't have someone that, says, hey, man you
need to tone it down or watch what you say,
here or do. That it's when you're allowed to be
open and you have. Support whenever you're not afraid TO
i mean really put it out.

Speaker 3 (01:31:07):
THERE i love.

Speaker 4 (01:31:08):
It i'm here FOR i think it's gonna be. Fun
i'm looking forward to. IT i don't think it can
start soon. Enough, now No fence to Like Big noon
KICK i hardly ever watch those those shows, Anyway so no,
Fence Brady. Quinn i'm sure you and Port noy are
gonna get along. Great but it's now suddenly it's like
it's a SHOW i never watched in the first.

Speaker 3 (01:31:26):
PLACE i don't watch game that Either i'm usually.

Speaker 4 (01:31:28):
Working i'm usually getting ready for a game on that,
stadium or OH i got them.

Speaker 2 (01:31:32):
ON i got my two TVs blair and Then i'm ready to,
go AND i got both the pregame shows on And
i'm Watching Big Noon kickoff and, NO i gotta have
that on, Definitely and especially when they do the picks
at the.

Speaker 3 (01:31:43):
End that's the worst part to.

Speaker 2 (01:31:46):
Me it's, like oh, no why? WHY i couldn't care.

Speaker 3 (01:31:49):
Less who you're.

Speaker 4 (01:31:49):
PICKING i want to know who's. IN i want to
know who's. OUT i want to know. INJURIES i want
to know does someone have a long lost relative that's
going to be at the, game or a family member
that passed, Away like all these. THINGS i love these
stories that you. GET i couldn't, care, like all, right
who you?

Speaker 3 (01:32:06):
Got who you? Like who you?

Speaker 2 (01:32:08):
Got do you like the celebrity? Picker do you like
whether they do that or?

Speaker 4 (01:32:11):
NO i do like, That and it's pretty cool when you're, there,
right and that picker is, there especially whenever it's someone
that is, relevant LIKE i would IMAGINE i would imagine
that game day would be coming To oklahoma in week, two,
RIGHT i mean It's oklahoma And.

Speaker 3 (01:32:28):
Michigan oh look at.

Speaker 4 (01:32:29):
You, YEAH i would imagine they would be, there so, heck, yeah,
man it's it's cool to be. There BUT I i
Just i'm, Excited arnie that it seems like we're getting
you love. SPORTS i love, Sports ian loves. Sports mary
kind of like. Sports steve loves. SPORTS i want to
watch shows where people love, sports not where they complained

(01:32:51):
About i've been turned off By how.

Speaker 3 (01:32:53):
Did you think?

Speaker 2 (01:32:53):
THAT i, Mean Emmanuel acho and those, guys they played the.

Speaker 3 (01:32:56):
Sports so why wouldn't they like? It all they did
was grench and mont and tell you how you're terrible at.
LIFE i.

Speaker 4 (01:33:01):
COULDN'T i, mean every sense of manual and in the
auto had tried to do. That that self help thing
where he was reading that yoga babble and everyone was,
like what in the hell is going on? Here he
lost me. THERE i thought that dude was. Awful but
they'll bounce, Back they'll they'll find a spot. Somewhere i'm.

Speaker 3 (01:33:18):
SURE i Just.

Speaker 4 (01:33:19):
ARNIE i, mean this is a good move that they
made by so Sports. One it's, smart it's very. Smart
so shout outs to all of those people that made it.
Possible because oo, dog now that they're, GONE i GUESS
i could say it even Because i'd be in a
studio AND i don't have the audio on Because i'm
on the air during that time during the. Week just

(01:33:41):
watching it made me, uncomfortable like the visual of, It
armie made me.

Speaker 3 (01:33:44):
Uncomfortable so you're all in on, it though you probably
wouldn't Get Skip bayless back.

Speaker 2 (01:33:48):
ON i always enjoyed Watching. SKIP i Enjoyed Craig, carton
some of the other guys that didn't really care about
the former. Players they didn't really excite, Me BUT i watched.
It there's no doubt about. THAT i would get. Information
see what? Topics what the information did you take away from?
That it's WHAT i want to know that's why you

(01:34:09):
keep falling for all the fake accounts as to see
what account is?

Speaker 4 (01:34:14):
Fake what's the exactly Exactly all, right let's hit some
of these tweets real, quick at stinking genius.

Speaker 3 (01:34:21):
One i'm at playing.

Speaker 4 (01:34:22):
Show uh this was this was for mister nobody little
baseball double.

Speaker 3 (01:34:27):
Shot he.

Speaker 4 (01:34:28):
Writes the only reason why W Rob manfred Is Rob
manford is crying about, oh he, wrote man.

Speaker 3 (01:34:34):
Fraud i'm.

Speaker 4 (01:34:34):
Sorry the only Reason Rob manfreud is crying about economics
in baseball is because he's the owner's. Flunky because the
problem isn't. Spending it's people Like John fisher who owns
The a's And Bob nutting who mismanages The.

Speaker 3 (01:34:52):
Pirates they're cheap and.

Speaker 4 (01:34:54):
Incompetent and, oh by the, Way arnie On Clayton, kershaw
given how at one point in the game The Die
andrews had as many hits As, AIRIS i wouldn't have
Blamed kershaw if he'd slugged someone having the same number of,
hits And airis means your defense is hot.

Speaker 2 (01:35:08):
Garbage, no AND i understand about. That he was very,
frustrated and rightfully. So it's still showing up your team,
Though it's like when you get pulled out of a
game of a three nothing game and next thing you,
know the reliever comes in and gives up like three
or four runs cost you your, shutout cost you your.
Win what are you to do through a temper tantrum
in the dugout and and you, know make your reliever look.

(01:35:30):
BAD i thought it was a little too. MUCH i
know he's so, intense BUT i thought it was kind
of bad optics.

Speaker 4 (01:35:38):
There my, opinion if you wouldn't have done, anything you
would have been mad at. Him oh look at him over,
there he's just smiling away nature boy. Rightes more people
have Hurt steve The seger's update today than have watched
the W Nb All star at W Nba All Star
game this.

Speaker 3 (01:35:57):
Week, GO i THINK i know.

Speaker 4 (01:35:58):
WHY i didn't realize how angry some people were whenever
they wore their. Shirts BUT i, mean to, me IT'S i,
mean you got to read the room a little bit
on those, things. Right i'm sure there's a lot of
people that are criticizing, them, saying, oh you've never made
money that worked for entities that maybe they don't necessarily
make money for. Either it's like the whole don't throw

(01:36:20):
stones in a glass. House BUT i don't want to
obsess over this, Tonight. ARNIE i know you don't, Either
but did you have a major takeaway from THE wnba?

Speaker 2 (01:36:29):
Weekend, well, one didn't they make the shirts the day,
Before so don't pretend like you didn't know what was
going on until that very. MORNING i don't buy that
for a. Second To Kelsey plums shot At Kaitlyn. Clark
first of, all maybe Team Caitlin clark didn't want to
be associated with, that even though they did end up

(01:36:49):
they wore shirts, anyway, Right SO i don't know what
her point. Was it was kind of weird at that whole. Thing,
also when they say something like you pay us what
you owe, us AND i don't want to be a
semantics on, words that means you, got you, know ripped
off in the, past and you didn't get ripped off
in the. Past you were losing money hand over. Fist,
now DO i think they deserve to get more money

(01:37:10):
in the, Future, absolutely when that new television contract kicks,
in they should get a little bit more. Money but
this was not the way to go about. It like you,
said read the, room they come off so. Bad they really.
DO i just don't feel for them at. ALL i really.
Don't and you, know LIKE i, said they don't deserve

(01:37:33):
anything now until that new television contract kicks on in.

Speaker 4 (01:37:37):
All, right we get a. Break when we come, back
we'll hit your. Tweets they've been great all night. Long
PLUS i feel Like i've got a lot of meat
on the bone here on The Roman Numeral Rundown. Arnie oh,

Speaker 2 (01:39:44):

it in front of. All THE nflpa their executive director

(01:40:08):
is expensing strip club visits while undermining its.

Speaker 3 (01:40:13):
Credibility, now it's a good.

Speaker 2 (01:40:14):
Question that's got to be the worst THE nflpa with
a strip, club the putting the expenses on, it the
undermining the. Credibility it's just just, horrible absolutely horrible of
what has gone on. There that's got to be the
worst of the two.

Speaker 4 (01:40:29):
Twenty thirty, though, guys we got some time before we
can start really freaking out about. IT i had someone
that was just mad at me On friday, nights like

Does you don't, Either no one cares about this.

Speaker 3 (01:40:42):

could they be? Sellers, well The pirates decide that they
can get a bigger package For Paul skens and maybe
make him. Available will The braves be sellers through The,
angels maybe even The? Twins AND i think there's a
decision to be made In boston too about whether or

(01:54:49):
not you're gonna go for this or be?
