Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Let's go, go, big boy, Let's go.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
How was your go, Arnie? Did you you didn't have
any fillings this weekend? Did you no fill ins? Yeah?
I can tell by the amount of text you've been
sending me when I do that. No, no, no, not
like this, because when you have fill ins, it might
be one here or there. When you don't, it's like
a constant stream of thought. Like, for instance, what I
guess you could say might be breaking news? Are you

(00:31):
buying or selling this rumor that you just sent me?
It's from something called and Ian. This might be where
we need you. Poly market Blitz, poly market Football. I'm
not familiar with them, not familiar at all. But they
have a breaking rumor which you know it's official if
nobody else is reporting it.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
It says the Commanders and Dolphins have had discussions involving
a Tyreek Hill and Harry McLaurin swap. The Dolphins won
a high pick back in the deal, which you know
is kind of bs because you're not gonna get a
high pick back in the deal. If anything, it'll be
a straight swap, probably more than anything else. But I
don't know. That I'm buying that too much. And I
don't know anything about polymarket blitz either.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
I hope it is. I want it to be true.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
I was sending me the tweet out to all my
fellow Dolphin fans and they weren't.

Speaker 5 (01:23):
Bob.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
I'm like, let's hope man. No, no, no, Tyreek you,
Tyrek you?

Speaker 6 (01:27):
Why are you done with Tyreek Hill?

Speaker 2 (01:29):
I'm I'm tired of that guy. Man enough enough of
his boloney.

Speaker 6 (01:33):
What I mean, he seems pretty.

Speaker 4 (01:35):
He gots to go, he gots to go.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
I'm glad that the I'm glad that that stopped you
from thinking that, you know, Miami might struggle this year
at all.

Speaker 6 (01:44):
Oh they're not.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
The schedule's too easy. I tried to think they were
going to struggle until I looked at their schedule. Oh
my goodness, man, I why don't you just play a
bunch of high schools. It's the easiest schedule in the NFL?
All right, I'll bite.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
They open up at the Bears and then you go
to the Lions, so I mean the best at the
best two and one. Then you go to Indy, who
looks to be.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Stop it, stop it, stop it. If you're gonna play
that game. We might as well.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
You might be three and three through your I'm looking
the preseason.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
My bad.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
You open it, Indy, that's the way New England win.
Then you go to Buffalo, Okay, that's going to be
a tough one. And then you got the Giants in Carolina,
followed by the Rams, by the Chargers.

Speaker 6 (02:31):
Excuse do you know how to read? I don't know
that Jets in Carolina?

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Followed by the Oh my goodness, man, the Jets will
win by fifty, Carolina will win by sixty, and the
Chargers we have at home.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Listen, And I can't do this up until kickoff of
the NFL season. Can we talk to Scott? Can I
trade out with somebody?

Speaker 7 (02:49):
You know what?

Speaker 3 (02:50):
You know, Scott rops someone that can deal with this
propaganda every single week? And he hasn't even started beating
his chest over a two win, oh start in the Hall.

Speaker 6 (02:58):
Of Fame game. So is there any can I trade
out with it?

Speaker 8 (03:02):
Forever?

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Torture? You're I think? So?

Speaker 6 (03:04):
I mean, Scott, I'll get up.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
I I do that anything to get out of this
dolphin propaganda that I have to deal with every single year.
And I tell you, I tell you every single year
you must puppies and I know, I tell you it's
just stop it, dude, Just have normal expectations and you
can't even be.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
They can't do with you. I can't. I wanted their
schedule was just way too easy. It wasn't. And by
the way, you know I'm in trouble.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
You know what happened to me today?

Speaker 2 (03:34):
So starting what next week we'll be doing? Playing spis.
I wasn't gonna brag how I was too and oh
until I got in so much trouble today?

Speaker 6 (03:41):
What you get in trouble for? Because you got two picks? Right?

Speaker 4 (03:45):
I sent you this, I sent you this story.

Speaker 6 (03:48):
I I didn't read it. Go ahead, it's a video.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
You didn't hear Bill, I didn't read I have a life, right,
I'm gonna show ons only a big story.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
It only involves me be in trouble now. I can't
give out my picks. You think you would have read that?

Speaker 6 (04:04):
It does not say your name.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
You're not on any of the Bill cracking Bill Krackenberger.
So do you think you know more about gambling than
Bill Krackenberg?

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Bill? This is what Bill said? Can I tell you
what he said? Can give me a second.

Speaker 6 (04:16):
Hear.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Bill was on his show this morning, Big Time Gambler,
and he found out that if you're betting the same
bets your buddies or your followers are betting like my listeners,
they're not even betting, nodding, and they're not paying off
the bets. So obviously, my listeners last week last Sunday

(04:39):
flooded the market. When I gave him my two picks,
which were the easiest things in sliced bread. I'm only
picking at one hundred percent. Now, I'm actually too good,
which is do you ever ask yourself why, like gambling shows,
don't have me on or give me my own show
or something?

Speaker 6 (04:57):
Why every day?

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Yeah, because I'm too good? You want to have me on?

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Why?

Speaker 2 (05:03):
I give nothing but winner after winner? They get your
brains beat out. Everybody knows I'm the king of the preseason.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
So why do they put Bill Krakenberger on, who's a
Jared Smith on?

Speaker 6 (05:15):
Instead of you?

Speaker 2 (05:17):
I'm too good is what it is.

Speaker 6 (05:19):
So you're saying you're better at it than Bill and Jail.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
I'm not saying anything about Bail or those guys. That's
not what it.

Speaker 6 (05:25):
Sounds like to me. You're saying, let's go back to
what you just said.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
I said, why am I not on these gambling shows
because I'm better than everyone else?

Speaker 2 (05:34):
I'm too good exactly Vegas. Vegas has banned me, I
think is what's going on here. I might not be
able to give my bigs tonight, I might not be
able to get I.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Might give you sweet It's like, hey, we heard your
terrible blackjack philosophy, and you want to go ahead and
put that kind of money on a preseason game.

Speaker 6 (05:50):
You come on, man, We'll give you your own floor.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
You're no more people agreed with me on my blackjack
take than you could imagine. I don't think so okay.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Really really being honest, I don't think anybody says you
I'll ask.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
Todd when it comes on. I'll I'll ask Todd when.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
It comes on. Please is Todd back tonight? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (06:10):
Todd's back tonight.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
All right, he's been back tonight because I'm picking it
one hundred percent, which I got to be honest. I'm
I'm a little disappointed at that. I was hoping to
do better, But you're hoping to do better than one
hundred percent, Well, you know I like to do one
hundred and fifty percent. But I was only two and oh,
I didn't give out any of my bloney picks like
so and so passing for more than a hundred yards,
or to you that.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
You have never done any player prop picks on your
In fact, I try to encourage you, like, hey, why
don't you get it when you're struggling and you don't
hit at the broadside of a barn, I'm like, why
did you try player props? You're like, no, no, no, no,
I gotta do it the traditional way. I got to
do it the Vegas way.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Now, well that's what everybody, that's what people usually bet
on that. But you know what I'm gonna do is
if I'm not allowed to give out my picks, what
I'll do is I'll give my picks on Monday what
they were going to be before the weekend.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
So that sounds more likely. That sounds like a better
winning philosophy for you. I'm gonna start calling ishmael Borg.
You're gonna be like the Buller and Kingpin. You're gonna
be like the guy oh e Bowl eighteen frames. You
just gotta be one hundred and fifty percent.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Now right now, I know what I know you were
rooting against me when I when I made those and
by the way.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
I picked the other way. I'm owing too, I took
the opposite side. You don't want to pick it. You
know you don't want to pick against me, Chris.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
You know when I get out to something like this
and I'm focused, Oh boy, you just get out of
my way. I got seven picks for the weekend? Who
back off?

Speaker 5 (07:32):
Man?

Speaker 2 (07:33):
I'm red hot, red hot. I hope I don't get
in trouble. I don't want to get in trouble, So
we'll see what happens.

Speaker 6 (07:39):
I gotta try to make sense of this story that
Krack was telling.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
Yeah, he says, one of the big legal and lice,
one of the big legal and licensed sports books. Yes,
will not pay you if you're betting the same bets
that your buddies or your followers are bet my fother
They are not even responding to the account holder's email,
just hoping you go away and they can steal your money.

Speaker 6 (08:01):
Here's what I don't get about that. Yeah, how would
they know?

Speaker 2 (08:04):
What do you mean? How would they know?

Speaker 3 (08:06):
How would they know? How they know that that you're
taking a followers one of your followers.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Oh that's because in the story Bill was telling, and
you really have to listen to the thing. They all
made their bets close to the same time, you know,
Like I like, if I'm at the end of the show,
we give my picks at the exact same time, and
then people go right to the computer and bet like
within a minute or two of me giving out my picks,

(08:32):
which is why I'm I'm gonna get in trouble. The
mafia loves me, but Vegas hates me. So I don't
know what's gonna happen. I hope, I hope I don't
have to not give my picks anymore. I'm afraid.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
Well, I'll gladly. I mean, you've lost so many bets
when you've given up your pick segment. I mean you've
basically been fired. You've quit your job. I think you
actually gave away the naming of your first grandchild. And oh,
by the way, you've you've lost the picks segment on
several occasions. But now that you've started to and oh,

(09:04):
everyone's flocking for your picks and that's what's going on right.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Well, you know what we should really do, Chris, I
I don't I don't want to be a downer, but
I mean, that's all people really want to hear tonight.
Why do I just give my picks now and we
could just go home. We'll turn it, we'll turn it
over to Ben Mallor and he can he can have
an extra long show. We don't have to. People just
want to hear my picks tonight. That's that's what this
is about. I'm the hottest man on the planet every

(09:27):
year when it comes to my preseason picks. Everybody knows that.
That's We have gamblers that are listening to me right now,
just waiting if I accidentally give out my picks. If
I say, ooh I got to on Thursday, and they'll
go right to a Thursday go who does he like?

Speaker 4 (09:42):
Who does he like? So I gotta be careful, man.
I just don't want to get in trouble.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
I'm proud of you. That's awesome. I didn't realize it.
It was that in depth, so.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Very intense, very in depth I was. And it was
such an easy win. I mean, gosh, only a fool
would have gone against me in the first tea.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
I know, how dare anyone go gets you when you've
quit picking in the preseason the last three years run
because you've been so terrible.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
I mean would say that sinker you live by the
Even Steph Curry has bad shooting nights, you know what
I mean playing Come on, even even Steph missus shotts
a lot.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
Not not like seventeen picks in a row. He doesn't. Well,
congratulations on your hot start. We'll see if you can
back it up.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
But I'm allowed to give out my picks. I hope,
I'm ill.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
We don't let none of this has anything to do
with you. It's only you, and that that it's only
you and that one dope on your burner account on
Twitter who I had to tell him the Pac twelve
sucked and then he had to change his Twitter feed
to the Big ten. I think it's your burner account.
But it's like you and him that really believe that
the MafA. This won be the mafia, what this would be?
The sports books are out to get you because you're
making too much money, which, by the way, you don't

(10:49):
even make your own bets. You don't even place these bets.
This is just you making the pick on the radio.
I was gonna actually read that one. That was the
one I'm like I told you he wrote that, fank.
That was my theory.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
Gambling companies are keeping you off TV because you're too good.
And I agree with the blackjack take. Of course he does,
because I'm mathematically it's way above your head.

Speaker 6 (11:10):
I got right, listen, I just am a simpleton, right.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
The Oldklahoma? Where do you live? One on one Sooner Drive?
Is that right?

Speaker 6 (11:20):
Absolutely?

Speaker 5 (11:20):
Well?

Speaker 3 (11:21):
We got a big show tonight, Todd Furman makes his
triumphant return to the program.

Speaker 6 (11:25):
I'll try to.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
Steer clear of what could be three hours of anti
injuring his elbow, patting himself on the back, and then
after he blows it this week, then it'll be all.
Next week's show will be how it's bounced back time
and it was just an anomaly the week before. But
we do have other topics we need to get you.
You got some more self serving stuff here, No, no.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Nothing self serving. But I was disgusted at our crew,
whoever the producer and technical directors are, and I said, hey,
let's get something for Lonnie Anderson. She passed away, and
they say to me, what lady are you talking about?

Speaker 3 (11:59):
Like Annie Anderson has been out of the spotlight for
a really long time, like forty years, Christy hasn't done
any I mean, you and I love Dirty Death because
she was. She was like one of the original sex symbols.
Are you bid me?

Speaker 2 (12:13):
Every I said, she goes, how do we know Lonnie
Anderson worldly like twenty two? I go, I wasn't around
during World War One, but I know about that. For
crying out loud, how do you not know about Lonnie Anderson?

Speaker 9 (12:24):
Compared Lonnie Andacent to World.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
War One, who, like Plank said, there was there a
more sex symbol in her time.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Now, But you gotta remember her time was the eighties.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
It was like the early eighties too, right, and into
some of the late eighties early nineties. Now she did
a show with like Tori Spelling, I want to say,
in like the early two thousands. But I don't know
if any of you guys watch Notorious.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
No, I don't think I saw that.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
So that was she's been out of the spotlight for
a wow. I was sad when I saw this. You
and I could do a show on this because I
love this, and.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
I did, and I'm like, get some WKRP in Cincinnati stuff,
and they're like, what does that mean? I'm like, you're
you're in rare form tonight. You don't even know what
WKRP in Cincinnati? And do you not have YouTube at all?

Speaker 3 (13:21):
What's wrong with I mean, do you think they're running
home to YouTube? WKRP?

Speaker 2 (13:27):
I swear turkeys could fly. You don't get that. You
don't get that.

Speaker 6 (13:31):
You and I get that.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
No, no listeners get that. That's what they do.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
Again, I think you'd be surprised, how out of not
I'm not saying that the listeners wouldn't get that one,
but you'd be surprised. I mean, you're talking about w KRP.
Do you know when wkr WKRP in Cincinnati? You know
when that went off the air? Arnie, like nineteen eighty two?

Speaker 2 (13:51):
No, don't say eighteen. That's forty three years ago.

Speaker 6 (13:56):
Yes, thirty three years ago. No, forty three years ago.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Oh my gosh, what are you doing to me? So?

Speaker 3 (14:02):
I mean we're going back by the way double The
Life of Ian and Mary. I always did like Bailey too.
I thought she was cute. Smithers. Yeah, but r I
P tonight, Lonnie Anderson?

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Who was?

Speaker 3 (14:17):
I mean the I don't want to get too carried away,
but the Marilyn Monroe, the smoke show of our generation
was always on TV.

Speaker 6 (14:25):
Well she she was married like five times.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
Well, well, Burt Reynolds, right, he was like they were
the original couple or one of the time couple.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
I think it was her third husband that she was
married to, which means she is she's got to be crazy, like.

Speaker 9 (14:40):
Like Pam Anderson, very.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
Much, but bigger than Pam Anderson. Pam Anderson, bigger than
Pamela and what is wrong with you?

Speaker 3 (14:51):
Pamela Anderson? Was it the TV the big time TV show?

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Well, I thank you, but please please don't compare the
two I want and it was very come on, come on, yeah,
very similar. Yeah, that's similar.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Maybe, I mean Pam Anderson might even have been a
bigger star. Yeah, sorry, Arnie. But Lannie Anderson was the
She was one of the at least in my life.
She was like one of the first crushes that you had.
Oh yeah, oh my gosh, look at her. Look Susannemers to.

Speaker 6 (15:23):
Susanna right three's company and what she did.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
Of course, everything changed whenever Who's the Boss came around
and a Lissa Milana was on TV.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
She was a bigger than their shows. Suzanne SUBSTI were
bigger than.

Speaker 6 (15:37):
The Why do I?

Speaker 3 (15:38):
Okay, this is this is you you'll remember this. But
wasn't there wasn't there some sort of sports tie with
Lonnie Anderson? Was she involved with the team or or
did she play a role in a sports movie?

Speaker 4 (15:50):
Or nothing comes to mind? Nothing comes to mind.

Speaker 6 (15:53):
Maybe I maybe I misremembered.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
That, but I must misremember.

Speaker 6 (15:57):
But she wasn't a lot man so r I p
ninety nine?

Speaker 3 (16:00):
Yes, she was seventy nine. Yeow, that's incredible. Well what's
uh now? Now anymore trivia? Do you want to pay
her before we grab our first break?

Speaker 2 (16:08):
No? No, just you know, I still have a lot
of other stuff to get to, but we'll get to
that later on.

Speaker 9 (16:13):
I was just it looks like she was in a
movie called stroker Ace and.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
That hat with with the with Burt Reynolds. Right, Yeah,
that was that was a pretty big Maybe that was it?

Speaker 3 (16:24):
Maybe that's a sports reference I was thinking of because
it was a it was kind of a NASCAR theme NASCAR.

Speaker 9 (16:30):
That's what Google says, Hey, is that what is that?

Speaker 2 (16:32):
The movie? That lady was in? Her?

Speaker 3 (16:35):
That lady that gosh, it's so mad when people don't
understand their history of your random.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
What lady where you're talking about her?

sure you check out over Promised and also Uncensored by

Yes, tonight on the Progrim you.

Speaker 3 (18:36):
See I I'm very happy that our guy, Shady Sean
for twenty on the Twitter Machine, is decided to tap
into a little college football this year. He's, though, trying to
find his team to root for. I told him, if
he wants to root for a winner, it's it's time
to root for the sooners Ian of course, would be
pushing USC or are you still dating the Texas fan
in yep in.

Speaker 6 (18:58):
USC here Texas?

Speaker 2 (18:59):
Mary? Mick that who's your college team? Mary?

Speaker 6 (19:02):
Do you have one?

Speaker 9 (19:03):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (19:04):
That's right, that's right.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
And then Arnie is unfortunately in Arizona fact the Sega.
The Sega can lean a little U. C. L A
every now and then, but he's our objective observer. So Sean,
You've got a lot of different options as far as
this show is concerned.

Speaker 6 (19:16):
But I mean, I'll tell you what.

Speaker 3 (19:18):
We're getting practice highlights, we're getting coaches, press conferences.

Speaker 6 (19:21):
We're we're getting there.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
Do you why didn't you tell me you were dating
a Texas fan? Nobody told me about that.

Speaker 12 (19:27):
I'm doing her a favor, just keeping keeping you entirely
out of it.

Speaker 6 (19:31):
Right, Yeah, because you act like you don't know his
name half the time.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
Dude, I dated a girl from Texas A and M
big mistake.

Speaker 12 (19:38):
Yeah, why yeah, yeah, kind of crazy, Sean. You should
should root for the Longhorns though, just so you have.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
That, you'll have that over the media. But October second
Saturday in October, I got a lot of good tweets
to start the show.

Speaker 6 (19:55):
You want to hit those real quick before we get
all sports?

Speaker 2 (19:57):
He on you.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
Yeah, we're getting a lot.

Speaker 3 (19:59):
Yeah, sooner. Lee asks, are you drunk tonight? Arnie asking
for a friend?

Speaker 2 (20:03):
No? No, no, I'm good. I just you know, everything
I've been saying, Well, everything I'm saying is turning out
to be true.

Speaker 4 (20:09):
So why would I be drunk?

Speaker 2 (20:10):
I mean because I all my picks are at one
hundred percent.

Speaker 6 (20:13):
I mean, you're two man?

Speaker 2 (20:14):
Do you want me? I don't know what more can
I do?

Speaker 4 (20:17):
Though?

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Do you want me to be of ten?

Speaker 5 (20:19):
And?

Speaker 2 (20:19):
Oh? I see this is why I'm disappointed. I guess sure,
there's only been.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
Two games and you decided not to get into player props.
But you're like the person that hits their first two
hands of blackjack, or with their first two hands?

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Are you?

Speaker 3 (20:33):
You went at the slot machine in the airport in Vegas,
You're like, look, it's gonna be easy. Uh u cla Dodger,
Frank good to see Frank back this weekend, writes ask
Arnie if Catherine back, Daisy Duke from Dukes of Hazzard,
Valerie burton Elli Orlannie Anderson on his biggest crush is you.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
I did like Valerie burton Elli a lot to I
liked her a lot.

Speaker 3 (20:54):
She would she yeah, because she played such a like
a good girl role almost in uh oh gosh, what
was the name of the what was the name of
the show she was on with the one day at
a time, One Day at a time, thank you? And
they had the plumber handyman that would always come over
Schneider very good Arnie. Whenever she started dating Eddie van

(21:17):
Halen and they eventually got married, and of course Wolf
King I it was like, oh my gosh, what's she doing?

Speaker 5 (21:22):
What?

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Why? Why is she dating Eddie van Halen? Is just
she's a good girl.

Speaker 6 (21:26):
I know we do that.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
I did, can I said, you brought that up? Just
real quick. I'll tell this one quick. I had a
friend of mine and well we were all friends, a
group of guys, and they all played soft but anyway,
his he was adopted. I don't want to give his name,
but it's father though, because his father was really really rich,
like like a billionaire over So I remember partying at
his house and just like throwing up on the play,

(21:50):
storing up on real expensive paintings and stuff like that.

Speaker 4 (21:53):
You did well, you know, some of the other guys
did too.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
But that's besides, that's not part of the story. That's
really I'm sorry, go ahead tell you. So the doorbell
rings and he tells me to answer it because the
cops had come earlier, and it was the neighbor. And
I said, hey, what's going on? What'd you come on
in and have a beer? I was just totally messed up,
and he's like, no, no, I don't want to come in.
I'm just check it on you. I go, what's your name?
And he tells me his name and go, I go, Betty,

(22:18):
your name's Benny. What kind of name is Benny? I go,
come on in, Benny, and he's just laughing, and I'm
just I'm really just busted his chops. So he goes, no,
I just want to make sure everybody's okay. And people
probably know now his name was Eddie. It was Eddie
van Halen, and he lived like two doors down, So
it was it was kind of really cool, really, loggie

(22:40):
was to your age?

Speaker 3 (22:41):
What did you say, Ben Halen is younger than you?

Speaker 2 (22:44):
No, I don't think.

Speaker 4 (22:46):
Yeah, yeah he was younger.

Speaker 2 (22:48):
Yeah he is young.

Speaker 3 (22:49):
Because he's sixty five. Well you're not sixty five, yeh
are you?

Speaker 6 (22:52):
I'm sixty two? Sixty yeah, okay, okay, so he was
around your age.

Speaker 3 (22:56):
Then sixty five was Eddie van Hale when he passed
away years Oh, so he would.

Speaker 4 (22:59):
Have been like about and he died how many years ago?

Speaker 3 (23:01):
Five years ago? So yeah, he was sixty five when
he passed. Yeah, so he was, you know, five or
six years older than you. Yeah, so what this guy,
he's close to the same age you love right two
doors down?

Speaker 6 (23:11):
Oh, really earned the noise.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
It was high red baby. It was like one of
the few private streets in La. And oh I remember
just getting sick in this guy's house and it was
his father was like, if I gave out his last name,
my CAF, the people in La would know who he is.
I probably said too much as it is. Yeah, you
better stop. Don't get sued. It's like your picks.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
You know what your picks, right, you can't get in
trouble now what we learned from crack?

Speaker 6 (23:38):
But so, which one did you pick there? Of what
U sale?

Speaker 3 (23:41):
Doctor Frank asked Lonnie Anderson, Valerie Burton Elly, Valid.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
Valarie Burton Elly. I liked her a lot. I always
loved her.

Speaker 3 (23:49):
All right, let's get to Sega in here, let's get
we got to get to some sports started right to Sega.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
What's going on? Let's go to an old saga. Let's go.

Speaker 13 (23:57):
I appreciate the conversation.

Speaker 3 (24:03):
There.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
Did you imagine if we worked there? The singer was
like a DJ I'd love that man.

Speaker 13 (24:08):
Apparently they had a new w k RP TV show
in syndication in the early nineties with Tawny Kataine as
one of the djails. Brought back some of the original cast,
not Lonnie Anderson, but I guess she guests starred in
an episode. I don't remember any of this. I was
definitely around in the nineties as well. I don't remember.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
She thought, yes, not a happy story there.

Speaker 13 (24:30):
Yes, wow, I do remember I was covering angels when.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
She was married. Yes, Chuck Finley, I was just about
to say that.

Speaker 13 (24:37):
And by the way, when you were talking about Lonnie
Anderson and the Era and pinneps. You failed to mention
the name of Farah Fawcett and the Charlie's Angels.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
Yes, Warren right away on Twitter, Buddy Warren b one
blanket Ship was like, dude, don't forget about fair Fawcett.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
Yeah, well the whole three Charlie's Angels.

Speaker 13 (24:54):
Yes, all three? Well four. Cheryl Ladd replaced absolutely. By
the way, there is a new, for what it's worth,
interim executive director of the NFL's Players Union. It's David White,
who I guess was a finalist for the job a
couple of years ago. Interim guy in place. But what's
gonna happen with James Cook? The Bill Star running back
sat out practice today. He wants a contract extension. He'd

(25:16):
been there, he'd been participating, not today. He was asked
about that and he just said business. Buffalo wide receiver
Khalil Shakir is week to week high ankle sprain. The
forty nine ers signed veteran wide receiver Robbie Chosen. Wide
receiver Aj Brown of the Eagles mispracticed today with a
hamstring injury, and the Dolphins gave defensive tackle Zach Sealer
a three year extension where oh forty four million dollars guaranteed.

(25:41):
The Phillies are alone and first in the NL East,
a half game over the Mets, who lost at home
today twelve four to the Giants. Tonight in Philadelphia, the
Phill's got Kyle Schwarber's thirty eighth homer of the year,
tied for the league lead, and the Phillies beat Detroit
two to nothing.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
How fast was that game? Like an hour wrong?

Speaker 13 (25:58):
Or something felt like about an hour fifteen exactly? The
winning pitcher, Christopher Sanchez, I believe he threw like fifty
pitches for his eight innings. That's how fast the game
it was. Meanwhile, it was not so fast last night
at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee. A nearly two and
a half hour rain to lay at the start. The
game was finally suspended by ray Ands Saturday night in

(26:19):
the first inning. Now, they did give an official attendance
of ninety one thousand, and a surprising amount returned to.

Speaker 6 (26:26):
Dak I thought so too.

Speaker 13 (26:28):
They did finish the rest of the game much better weather,
and the Braves beat the Reds four to two. Dodgers
and Padres each one Brewers and Cubs each one. The
Cubs won on a ninth inning pinch homer from Justin Turner,
five to three Cubs over the Orioles. Boston won its
fifth straight game. Miami won its fifth in a row.
Kansas City and ten innings was a winner at Toronto

(26:49):
Seattle Edge, Texas five to four. NASCAR victory for William
Byron at Iowa, his first win since the Daytona five
hundred in February. It was apparently great, helped by all
the cautions and could layoff, you know, a stop for
fuel and then he won and ran out of fuel
during the celebration. That's how close he was to not

(27:10):
making it to the finish line. Chase Briscoe finished second
after starting from the poll. Byron regains the series' lead
by eighteen points over teammate Chase Elliot, who finished fourteenth.
Just three races left in the IndyCar season. Their next
event not today, It was next Sunday on the schedule Portland, Oregon,
and it'll be on Fox TV again. Cameron Young was
the PGA winner in North Carolina. Live golf was off.

(27:33):
It'll be in Chicago next weekend. In the WNBA Chicago
lost again a home loss to Phoenix eighty three sixty seven.
Angel Reese has now missed five of the last seven
games with a bad back. Caitlin Clark of Indiana has
missed seven straight with the groin injury, but the Fever
won their fifth in a row of victory at Seattle
seventy eight seventy four. And Breonna Stewart, New York Star,

(27:53):
has been out all week with a bone bruise inner knee,
and still New York won at Connecticut eighty seven seventy eight.
The Connecticut son five and twenty two this year and
about to be sold back to you thank Steve.

Speaker 6 (28:06):
Five and twenty one. Yeah, you know what are they
going to? Twins?

Speaker 1 (28:09):
Man?

Speaker 2 (28:09):
Can you believe what Minnesota did they?

Speaker 3 (28:13):
Speaking of teams that are struggling, Yeah, I mean I
was feeling for Twins fans.

Speaker 6 (28:18):
And then you've got to watch one of the.

Speaker 13 (28:20):
You mean, what's left of the Twins?

Speaker 2 (28:22):
Yeah, that's right, that's right.

Speaker 13 (28:23):
The trade deadline. Yeah, I feel so bad. Literally almost
half their roster was dealt. Oh crazy, at least the
major league roster.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
And you've got to go and you've got to watch
Johann Durant's open whenever he's.

Speaker 13 (28:37):
Now the Phillies closer, he's got to save tonight.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
He got another one tonight. Dim the lights goes, and
it's Philly. So it's just a little different vibe. No offense, Minnesota,
no Scott, don't get out of me, boss man. But
it's a little different when it's Philly, right, and they're good.
Whether you just took over first place, like I hadn't
seen it much. I'd seen a couple I'm oh, that's cool.
Look at that guy's that's cool entrance, and then I
watched it last night, excuse me, Friday night, after the

(29:03):
Friday night game, like, oh my gosh, this.

Speaker 6 (29:06):
Is going to be so cool heading into the postseason and.

Speaker 13 (29:11):
In the postseason because the Phillies are gonna be there.

Speaker 4 (29:14):
It's gonna be a good race with them in the
half game separated.

Speaker 2 (29:17):
Right now.

Speaker 13 (29:18):
I can't wait for the National League playoffs.

Speaker 6 (29:20):
Mess, it's gonna be so good.

Speaker 13 (29:21):
Phillies Brewers are so good this year. I may go
to the this year Dodgers Padres games. We're gonna have
more of those this month. Can't wait.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
I'm living right there.

Speaker 4 (29:30):
I'm living forty five minutes away?

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Right? Can I not go?

Speaker 13 (29:35):
What do you mean?

Speaker 2 (29:36):
Why do you act like that?

Speaker 3 (29:38):
I just because I've been with you for forty five minutes.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
I don't even have to drive there. I could take
the train when I.

Speaker 3 (29:45):
Get forty five minutes away from Chase from where city
field where we Yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:51):
Well to New York City. But I'm forty five minutes
away from Queens. Okay? Well good?

Speaker 3 (29:56):
I mean, I hope you do. I think it'd be
good for you to get back amongst the people, your people,
my people. Let's go. Hey, make sure to subscribe, Thanks Steve.

Mary Mac that's to saygo on updates. He's Arnie Spaniel,
I'm Chris Plank. Of course, in the eyes of Varnie,
all you're here for tonight is his picks. That's coming
up a little bit later. On is really all people

(30:37):
want right now? Rest roman numeral number two. Let's hit
it the big story this weekend. Everyone's been talking about it,
even Jerry's talking about it.

Speaker 6 (30:46):
For goodness sakes.

Speaker 3 (30:47):
Micah Parsons goes to the notes app, not even the app,
just goes to notes on his phone. He decides to
type out a tradeing me right bleeping now, roddy Dallas
Cowboys and a goodbye to Dallas. Now let me remind
you in February, Miles Garrett said goodbye to Cleveland. In
March he was given the richest contract for an edge rusher. Ever,

(31:09):
feels a little different because even during the time you
cover Jerry Arnie, whenever you were in Dallas you had issues.
You've always had contract issues. Mikeah Parksons really has no
leverage here unless the Cowboys just want to trade him.
But no one's really demanded a trade, probably since going
back to ninety three with Emmitt Smith and that.

Speaker 6 (31:27):
Still worked out to the cowboys advantage. So what do
you make of this?

Speaker 2 (31:30):
What I make of it? Well, first of all, I
do think it's a negotiated negotiation tactic, Like Jerry said,
That's what Michael Parsons is doing out there, but correct
me if I'm wrong, Chris. Jerry's not called the shots, right.
I really think Steven took over years ago, and Steven
is the yay or nay guy. Sure, Jerry's the figurehead,
the face of the Cowboys, and I'm sure Jerry still

(31:53):
has the ear to Steven and gets to put in
his two cents. But I think Steven overall makes the
final decision. I think that's the way it's got to be.
And not to say that Jerry, you know, can't like
approve a contract. Jerry loves being in the spotlight. I
think Mica should just finish out the contract and not
sign with Dallas and Dallas gets nothing years.

Speaker 6 (32:15):
You say that's three years, Well.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
I mean, if you sign the contract, it is what
it is. I mean you should honor it, right, I mean,
how could you renegotiate something like that. And I can
understand where they're coming from. Now, after this year, it's
three more years or two more years.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
Well, he's got one more year left on his rookie deal.
But then this is where he's hamstrung because the Cowboys
can tag you for the next two seasons.

Speaker 6 (32:38):
So essentially you've got three years.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
It feels different. He's giving out teams he wants to
go to, too, if those are real reports.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
Like, I don't think, I just I'm not trying to
dump on anything. Yeah, it'd be a lot cooler if
they were.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
I understand.

Speaker 3 (32:54):
I don't think he's given out teams he wants to
go to. And I'll add to it. I don't why
would you wait until I know he was Everything he
explained in this in his notes made sense. But Arnie,
there has to come a point where by this time,
by this time frame, you're kind of host and where
you can what you can do.

Speaker 2 (33:14):
No, I understand that. And also what was he saying
about Micah's agents kind of what tough to deal with
or it couldn't get a hold of them, or kind
of you know, riled things up at that part too there, Chris.

Speaker 3 (33:28):
Well, I mean, he's he basically tried to say that
they had a deal and that they're turning their back
on the deal that he had negotiated with Micah Parsons.
He's he took shots at everybody basically. It's it almost
makes you wonder's like someone take the keys from Jerry Jones.
I mean, he's saying all the right things. Here's what

(33:48):
at least, and that's kind of how Jerry Jones has
always been. But here's what his message was to Cowboy fans.

Speaker 5 (33:54):
As always, in any relationships or different moods at different
times of your relationship, that's what it is. Don't lose
in sleep over to Jerry. One thing I would say
to our fan, don't lose in sleep over.

Speaker 10 (34:07):
Just to be clear, you don't feel the relationship has
changed at all from the Super Bowl Big.

Speaker 5 (34:12):
Twelve again, I know my attitude and my attitude is
the same one I've had. I think the world of Micah.
He's an outstanding player. He can really help us, but
he's got to fit in with what's in the best
interest of the team, and that's what the negotiation is
all about him.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
You know. You know, Chris, I think maybe you could
disagree or not. And I've dealt with Jerry and you know,
I lived in Dallas and I was on the station
that had him on all the time I was. I
interviewed him a couple of times.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
I think Micah has the wrong initials for Jerry.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, what do you think they should be? Well,
do you. You know how Jerry's you know, show me
the bling, show me the stars. Uh you if you're
not the initials, QB are or w R wide receiver, Uh,
he doesn't care. Unless you're a big time running back,
wide receiver, quarterback. You're a diamond dozen the Jerry Now,

(35:10):
I know he thinks Michael Parsons is a is a
good player. But let's face it, man, Jerry's about the bling,
kind of like the way I am.

Speaker 4 (35:17):
Chris.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
You know I'm the same way. I'm all about the offense.
I'm all about those three big positions. You know you're
getting a guy, Oh you could rush to you know,
rush the passer. Okay, what are you gonna give me
twelve sacks? I'll take a I'll take a guy with
ten sacks and pay a whole lot less and use
the money for something else. Or a guy with three

(35:38):
or four less sacks. I I don't know. Maybe just
doesn't think that that position is as important as the.

Speaker 4 (35:45):
Quarterback, running back and wide receiver.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
What do you think?

Speaker 3 (35:47):
Well, no, that's I don't think you're wrong, but that
is very much your philosophy, and absolutely, yeah it is.
It is fascinating to see if it works. Well, we're
just getting started, your guys. Takes coming up next, that
stinking genius one. I'm at Plank Show on the night
when Todd Furman makes his triumphant return to the show.
It's all coming up on a busy Sunday night into

(36:09):
a Monday morning right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
If you're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio at.

Speaker 3 (36:18):
It's Arny in Plank coming to your live for the
Fox Sports Radio studios. Let's see, we had Rowman Numeral two.
But in the midst of that, I guess the bottom line,
we didn't really come to a conclusion. Michael Parson's a
cowboy in twenty twenty five or now, if.

Speaker 4 (36:35):
I own the team, he wouldn't be well, yeah, can
get ready.

Speaker 2 (36:39):
Don't care?

Speaker 3 (36:39):
Yeah, I feel like you could find another defensive player
anywhere else.

Speaker 2 (36:43):
Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and trade him and get
a boat load for Michael Parson's I'm not gonna win
the Super Bowl anyway this year.

Speaker 3 (36:50):
Why would you have you feel like your Dolphins are
gonna go.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
To the Super Bowl?

Speaker 6 (36:54):
Why would that not only that opinion anywhere else?

Speaker 2 (36:56):
The Dolphins schedule is even when you tried to you know,
call me out on that. You looked at their schedule,
You're like, damn, I can't even.

Speaker 3 (37:04):
Argue with him now, and so I don't think there.
I don't think you're gonna beat Indianapolis. I don't think
they're gonna be I don't think you're gonna beat Carolina.

Speaker 6 (37:11):
You're gonna be three and then.

Speaker 2 (37:13):
You're gonna lose it like that. That's why you don't
know football. That's why you're not two and oh. That's right,
that's why I don't know football. That's why you're not
two and oh. First time watching the NFL this year.

Speaker 3 (37:22):
First time ever. I wonder if there really is a
quarterback battle going on in Indianapolis, because as much as
some people try to say there isn't, then there is
always this buzz about Daniel Jones and the Cantonese haven't
and then it seems like it's overshadowed by Anthony Richardson
and the preseason that he's been having so far.

Speaker 6 (37:43):
I mean, are you even gonna be favored in any
of those games?

Speaker 2 (37:47):
In the early games, yeah, oh hell yeah, well all
but the Buffalo Bills game.

Speaker 3 (37:52):
I don't think he'll be favored in Indy or against
New England.

Speaker 2 (37:56):
We'll be favored over Indy, thank you very much. Do
leave the gambling up to me.

Speaker 4 (38:00):
What did I tell you about that?

Speaker 2 (38:01):
Well? I mean, and the Patriot games at home? Of course,
we're gonna be favored by a touchdown in that game,
by a touchdown by six points.

Speaker 6 (38:09):
You don't, I don't.

Speaker 3 (38:10):
I think you're living in La la land with these
expectations for your Dolphins.

Speaker 2 (38:14):
Man, we should be five and one without even breaking
the sweat seriously, and then after that we got home
games against the Chargers of the Browns and the foul
Chargers Chargers.

Speaker 6 (38:26):
Can you read? Is this your first time watching football
or something?

Speaker 4 (38:30):
I didn't have my glasses on.

Speaker 3 (38:31):
Sorry, well I don't. I don't see the same optimism
that you do with your Dolphins schedule.

Speaker 2 (38:37):
But listen, everyone are really scaring me when we play
them too.

Speaker 6 (38:41):
Yeah, that's week thirteen. What are you talking week thirteen?

Speaker 3 (38:46):
You've already played You've already played Buffalo twice. Washington, who
went to the NFC Championship, got them at home. The
Ravens are there. I mean, what so what it's at home?
You have been some sort of massive home field advantage
in Miami.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
Oh, it's good to play those tough days, better than
playing in Baltimore.

Speaker 3 (39:03):
Under the under the Professor, I mean the chemistry professor
is really gonna be able to match wits.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
Yeah, he I'm not liking John Harbos. Is he better
wake the hell up to this year. I you better
not squander this year. I'm getting sick and tired of him.

Speaker 3 (39:17):
What squander this year? You're the only person in the
world that's happy about the Dolphins offseason moves. I mean
even know who's the other Dolphin homer on the stage.
They can't even sell themselves into this kind of positivity,
delusional positivity.

Speaker 6 (39:32):
It's hard.

Speaker 2 (39:33):
But because two is not good, because Tyreek Hill is
not good, but because Wild does, you're trying to trade
Tyreek Hill. Well, I'm just tired of his BS. I
mean for McLaren. Yeah, that guy's damn good. I mean
dough not like I'm going I'm downgrading or anything like that.

Speaker 6 (39:49):
You're not gonna get McLaren.

Speaker 2 (39:51):
I like him. I know you do.

Speaker 3 (39:53):
Who doesn't, But I just I mean, as soon as
I saw that, I I was so happy last week.
Whenever you're like, hey, you know, I'm starting to realize it,
you know, maybe this isn't going to be the season.
And then you come out with you think that they
could go fifteen and two this year.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
Well, and I said, wow, I can't say fifteen and two.
There's something wrong with me. And I go, I'm about
to go back through the schedule, and I said, yeah,
they are, they could very well, I'm just gonna go ahead,
and maybe I'm wrong by two games, so I made
it thirteen and four.

Speaker 3 (40:26):
Do you realize just as a chance because you're like
chalking up all these automatic bids are automatic wins?

Speaker 2 (40:32):
Excuse me?

Speaker 3 (40:33):
Yeah, your Dolphins right now and they're over underwin total?
Is that is projected at what seven and a half?

Speaker 4 (40:39):
Oh, get out of here.

Speaker 3 (40:41):
That's the same as the Indianapolis Colts became better than
the Panthers or the Raiders. I mean, it's not like
you're set up to be some sort of rock star game.

Speaker 2 (40:49):
If I give out the Dolphins over on the season
win total, am I going to get in trouble? Well?

Speaker 3 (40:55):
I think you've given it out every single year, So no,
I don't think you would be in trouble at all.
I think you would just be doing what you've always
done every season.

Speaker 2 (41:03):
I really feel good. You know, until I saw the schedule,
I was a little iffy. And then you know, Buffalo
is not looking so good and they've got problems. I'm
feeling the division. We pretty much got that wrapped up.
What are what is? What are Buffalo's problems?

Speaker 4 (41:18):
But come on, you know they got problems.

Speaker 2 (41:21):
Well we got ted second, you got ted seconds. You
asked me what kind of problems? I got five seconds
to tell y'all.

Speaker 6 (41:27):
Sorry, we're back our two s. Next on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (41:31):
Listen Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 3 (41:34):
Died hour two Todd Furman making you triumphant return to
the program in just fifteen minutes from my mark.

Speaker 2 (41:42):
Did I tell you that I may may meet Jerry
Seinfeldt next weekend May?

Speaker 3 (41:50):
That's that's a lot of disclaimers, but I mean, go ahead.

Speaker 4 (41:54):
I'm going to see him in concert.

Speaker 2 (41:56):
Very cool.

Speaker 3 (41:58):
And then I've been doing a lot of concerts, but
I don't usually like get to guarantee I'm gonna see him.

Speaker 2 (42:04):
I'm gonna go backstage to meet him.

Speaker 6 (42:06):
Oh, very cool. Congrats.

Speaker 4 (42:07):
Well, you know, my brother in law owns the venue.

Speaker 6 (42:10):
So your brother in law owns the venue.

Speaker 2 (42:13):
I told you that you know, I know that.

Speaker 6 (42:15):
But it's just I don't know.

Speaker 3 (42:17):
There's not a lot of places in America where you know,
it's just like, oh, yeah, you can say I have
a family member that owns that marina or that convention
center or whatever it is.

Speaker 4 (42:28):
Yeah, he owns he owns the convention center or whatever
it is.

Speaker 2 (42:31):
Yeah, he owns a convention center.

Speaker 5 (42:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
Well it was a double a baseball park and the
team went belly up, so he bought the park and
turned it.

Speaker 4 (42:38):
Into a concert venue.

Speaker 6 (42:41):
Not bad, not bad.

Speaker 3 (42:42):
So Jerry Seinfeld's comedy. He might have almost said, Jerry Springer,
Jerry Seinfeldt's comedy. You might have a chance to meet him.
That'll be cool. I'm talking Mets with him.

Speaker 2 (42:50):
You've got to talk mets and give him some comedy
ideas and stuff like that.

Speaker 6 (42:55):
You're gonna give Jerry Seinfeld comedy ideas? Huh?

Speaker 2 (42:58):
I would ask him if he knows me, because you
know the Beth and Arne thing from Seinfeld.

Speaker 3 (43:02):
Oh that's right, you are convinced, yeah that. Larry David, Yeah,
was a listener to your show? Was this when you
were in La or Phoenix, La?

Speaker 2 (43:10):
When I was in La and in the show, of
Seinfeld if you're a big Seinfeld fan. There's another couple,
And it was two or three episodes, and their names
were Beth and Arnie, and we very very similar characteristics
and similar stories about me and Beth.

Speaker 6 (43:27):
But so he was a sports talk host.

Speaker 2 (43:29):
Well no, but he said, Arnie yells a lot, and
Beth was having a baby, and we were having a baby,
and I do kind of yell a lot, you.

Speaker 6 (43:37):
Know, Okay, I mean maybe, so well, there you go. No,
you don't yell a lot. Not well, congratulations, did you
see him?

Speaker 2 (43:44):
There's no doubt they took that from me. I'm gonna
ask him that if I do get to meet them.

Speaker 6 (43:48):
I like how it went from they might have to
it's there's no doubt.

Speaker 2 (43:52):
Oh, no doubt. There's really no doubt. I know they did.
I mean, one of the odds Beth and Arnie, and
they didn't take it from it. How many other couples,
how many other couples are named Beth and Arnie that
even listen to this show? Out of the millions and
millions of people that listen, there's probably no other bethan Arnie's.

Speaker 3 (44:11):
It's from the YadA YadA episode, right, Yeah, let's see here,
there's not there's not a lot of there's not a
lot of basic attachment to you guys on this. When
you type in Beth and Arnie, it's just a lot
of the YadA YadA episode.

Speaker 2 (44:27):
Okay, well they they obviously put those characters around us.

Speaker 6 (44:31):
Okay, Well, can I mean, are you going to always think?

Speaker 4 (44:34):
You think I'm a lunatic?

Speaker 2 (44:35):
Now I'm waiting for my TV show to come out,
the you know, the Artie's Banners show.

Speaker 3 (44:40):
If you said that you had that it was about
to happen, and well, I know things in Hollywood don't
work very quickly, but.

Speaker 2 (44:46):
No they don't, you know, still trying to pick up
the right network to pick it up.

Speaker 6 (44:50):
Well, good lots, but it's.

Speaker 4 (44:52):
Got good feedback, real good feedback.

Speaker 6 (44:54):
But awesome.

Speaker 3 (44:54):
So they've already started taping or is it just still
in the script?

Speaker 2 (44:57):
No, No, still in the you know, they wrote the pilot.
But you know, I don't know if I'm gonna get
any money, I may have to sue somebody. There's some
people mad at you on the on the X machine tonight,
the Twitter machine, of course. Well gee, what else is new? Uh?

Speaker 3 (45:10):
You're Jerry Jones take here is at superstar dad who
writes horrible take Learnie. Jerry has paid edge rushers before,
DeMarcus Ware, DeMarcus Lawrence, Charles Haley, just to name a few.

Speaker 2 (45:23):
He had. Two of the three had contract problems. Haley
he signed as a free agent. Right, is that what
happened there? Yeah? I mean he still signed him.

Speaker 3 (45:31):
Mister nobody, Jerry Jones will give in and give Micah
a contract. He always folds in the end. Well, that's
the other thing too. I mean, even Lash, we're one
year removed from him basically telling everyone he's in no
rush to sign CD Lamp and CD went to Twitter
or Instagram whatever his social media channel of choice is

(45:53):
and is taking shots at it and then Loan he
only got paid.

Speaker 2 (45:56):
Yeah, well he's a wide receiver, so you're gonna go
ahead and give him the money. Though I'm not so
sure I would have paid him. I may have let
him walk. JV righted him.

Speaker 3 (46:05):
You you would let Ceedee Lamb walk.

Speaker 2 (46:07):
You know, I'll get somebody else. It's not that tough
to replace wide receivers, okay, JV Right, You'll never forget.

Speaker 3 (46:15):
I think City Land's a freaking stud I think you're
losing your mind if you like, yeah, I just let
him walk. You think you can just get rid of
Tom And it's not gonna be and it's not gonna
make offense any less formidable. If the Dolphins lose Tyreek Hill,
I mean, you're just losing guy's aside. You're not gonna
get Terry McLaurin for Tyreek Hill.

Speaker 2 (46:33):
Why not?

Speaker 6 (46:35):
Because it's not a real report?

Speaker 2 (46:37):
Oh well that has.

Speaker 6 (46:38):
Adam Schefter talked about it?

Speaker 2 (46:39):
Yeah? Has Jake Lazer talked about it? Well, just because
they don't have it, it's not a real report.

Speaker 3 (46:45):
Inevitably, if something this big is going on, Yeah, those
dudes usually have it pretty quick. Not where'd you get
this from the NBA Sentinel or whatever it was? Where
Polly something? You got it from Pollyanna Sports? I don't
know JV Rights ever, forget it was Stephen Jones who
wanted to draft future Hall of famers Zach Martin and
Jerry wanted to take a shot on the colossal bust

(47:07):
johnny Man.

Speaker 2 (47:08):
Yeah. Absolutely, I didn't have to tackle him.

Speaker 6 (47:10):
And that's away from his head. Yeah, that's rumor.

Speaker 3 (47:12):
Rip the phone out of his hand, and uh that
Mustang mania whom I like, right, no defense for the staff.
They know who Prince and Michael Jackson are and their
heyday was also in the eighties. So sorry, kids, you
need to know your history, so true, so true, know
your history, guys, ri ip Elannie Anderson tonight, you know
you know who Princes?

Speaker 2 (47:34):
You know who Michael Jackson is.

Speaker 14 (47:37):
Hold on, hold on, hold on, because Michael Jackson was
famous since he was like five people still was in
the Jackson five People still even stream Michael Jackson right now.
So that's not a valid argument, Prince. It's Prince Like,
they're not valid. Prince was on New Girls and that
show came out like what thirteen.

Speaker 3 (47:55):
I like how her first thing on Prince was and
that he played the Super Bowl halftime show or he had.

Speaker 2 (47:59):
Been see I watched that.

Speaker 14 (48:02):
I watched that super Okay, yeah, so like and I
wasn't alive for the what is Michael Jackson?

Speaker 5 (48:07):
Like?

Speaker 14 (48:08):
You know, that's like saying, oh, Whitney Houston, like people
know who she is.

Speaker 12 (48:11):
I think this guy's just mad that it's the reality
that we don't know who she is and most people
our age don't know who she is. You can be
upset about it.

Speaker 2 (48:19):
But we don't hurts a little bit.

Speaker 4 (48:23):
Most people your age, you do know who Annie Anderson is?

Speaker 2 (48:26):
Just numb skills, don't. I don't.

Speaker 6 (48:28):
I don't think they really done what.

Speaker 3 (48:30):
She's an actress, Yeah, she was an actress.

Speaker 2 (48:34):
She just I don't want to she an actress. Oh
my gosh. Was she a doctress?

Speaker 6 (48:41):
Oh my goodness, the.

Speaker 2 (48:43):
Biggest sex Symbolson's Roquel Welch?

Speaker 5 (48:45):
She was?

Speaker 6 (48:47):
She was quite the is who Ernie? They don't know
who Roquel Welch is either, Arnie. What are you doing tonight?

Speaker 3 (48:54):
Whould you make the comparison to very Pam Anderson for
our generation?

Speaker 2 (48:57):
Exactly?

Speaker 3 (48:58):
There you go, you guys, goett to cause already to
have a heart attack here tonight. All right, listen, we
got Todd Ferman coming up in our next second. We
got all kinds of NFL stuff that we've been talking about.
Keep the tweets coming. A stinking genius wanted playing show.
I've got a lot of cold. We'll get into him
in the que coming up here in just a bit.
But I didn't want to talk just briefly about Roman

(49:22):
numeral number eight and ten, which I guess they kind
of tie together. Yeah, Lebron working out with the Clippers'
logo behind him, and then the three year deal for
Luca and they pay him, They pay him well, they
pay him. They set it up to where in three
years he'll be able to have that Supermax that the
Mavericks trade didn't allow him to have. But again this

(49:42):
comes back to we still haven't heard anything from Lebron. Right,
Everything with Lebron has kind of been passive and a
little bit of a shot taking at the Lakers. But
now we get a Luca deal and there's silence from
Lebron too.

Speaker 2 (49:54):
Right right, you know, the first thing is the pictric
she did bother me. I'm like, why are you bringing that?
Because you want attention, You want to stir it up
a little bit. You you want people to say, oh,
you want to go to the Clippers, but you want
to still stay in La.

Speaker 4 (50:08):
I mean, it really is getting ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (50:11):
You're a forty two year old star or whatever, well
is he forty or whatever he is. You've been a
star for so long and you're still acting like this.
It's just getting out of hand. And when Lucas signed
a three year extension and a lot of his teammates
were there, but Lebron was absent.

Speaker 4 (50:30):
That's just being petty man. And did you hear.

Speaker 2 (50:34):
What's the GM's name for the Lakers again, Rob Low? Yeah? Well,
yeah yeah, Rob Polinka who said lucas the best young
player uh in in in the NBA.

Speaker 4 (50:47):
How come he just didn't say the best player in
the NBA.

Speaker 2 (50:49):
Didn't want to insult Lebron or something was Lebron would
would take it to heart. I think Lebron is just
being petty.

Speaker 5 (50:56):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (50:56):
If they could move on from him, I would, I don't.

Speaker 4 (50:59):
I think they're have an a tough time.

Speaker 2 (51:01):
Doing that, especially because he's opted in for the fifty
two million dollars. But I just think it's it's getting
out of it. He's like a child, really, is what
he's acting like. He should just gracefully, you know, like
gracefully grow old, gracefully turn the Lakers over to Luca.
And he's not doing that at all. And the fact
that he didn't even take a picture or tweet out

(51:24):
call him. According to mark Stein, they did talk.

Speaker 3 (51:28):
Mark Stein said that Lebron and Brownie James, though they
weren't in attendance in the news conference, did FaceTime Donci
it's on Saturday morning to congratulate him on the new deal.

Speaker 2 (51:38):
Okay, well, at least they did that, so at least,
you know, that is a good will gesture. How Come
he didn't put that out like he likes to put
out the pictures like of him playing for the Clippers
or something like that. But at least he went ahead
and did that, so that was a good thing.

Speaker 3 (51:52):
Here's what Rob Linka had to say today at the
was this today yea? At the press conference? Yes, and
I'm sorry the press conference talking about Lebron's future.

Speaker 15 (52:00):
All the interactions we've had with Lebron and his camp,
Rich in particular have been positive and supportive, so very professional,
and Rich has been great. The dialogue with him has
been open and constant. In terms of Lebron's career, I
think the number one thing we have to do there
is respect he and his family's decision in terms of
how long he's going to play. We want to respect

(52:22):
his ability to come up with his timetable on that.
I think that's that's really important. But if you had
a chance to retire a Laker, that would be great.

Speaker 3 (52:30):
Nay, I thought Rob link While that pretty well, yeah,
would it?

Speaker 2 (52:34):
Would it be great if you retired as a Laker?
I don't think so. Why not? I would? I would
want Luca to be the face of the team sooner
than later, and as long as Lebron hangs around, I
don't think you could really have a changing of the guardle.

Speaker 6 (52:47):
Okay, So let me ask a question.

Speaker 3 (52:49):
What does that look like to you when you say
he needs to be this face of the team? I
feel like he already is when they run when they
would run things late in the season, they were already
running them through Luca. Whenever, you know, you talk about
promotions and talking about the team, we're pretty much talking
about you know, Hey, Luca is gonna be the guy
that they're gonna run things through.

Speaker 6 (53:10):
And he's gonna be I mean, is he.

Speaker 3 (53:11):
Gonna be the guy that is on the cover of
Sports Illustrated, is still printing a magazine that's on the
cover of Sports Illustrator, or being talked about a Fox
Sports Radio?

Speaker 6 (53:20):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (53:20):
Sure, because Lebron is that kind of personality. But I mean,
does that mean he's still the face of the Lakers
as much as he is the face of us?

Speaker 2 (53:28):
No? How about more when they drop the final play?
Because they're down by one. Who's that played for.

Speaker 4 (53:32):
Luca or Lebron?

Speaker 2 (53:34):
Luca?

Speaker 4 (53:36):
Oh you sure about that?

Speaker 2 (53:37):
Huh?

Speaker 6 (53:38):
I mean, I feel like that's what we saw near
the end of last.

Speaker 4 (53:40):
Year over his buddy, Lebron.

Speaker 2 (53:43):
Really yeah, over his buddy.

Speaker 3 (53:46):
I mean, listen, you're just not gonna take the ball
completely out of his hands.

Speaker 6 (53:50):
He's still Lebron freaking James, He's still amazing.

Speaker 3 (53:53):
I mean, for you to act like that they can't
coexist on the court, I mean, the Lakers, if they
had a big guy, I think they might have been
a little bit of more of a problem in the playoffs,
But they were really good in stretches with Luke and Lebron. Oh,
so remember, they were not gonna get caught up in
some ego battle over this. He's not gonna go anywhere
else right now where he's the lead dog and they
don't and they have a chance to win a title,

(54:15):
you're gonna go, Arnie, they got a lead dog.

Speaker 2 (54:17):
Am I wrong to think that most Lakers want him gone?
Or there's some Adam Massi there or is that just
in my mind?

Speaker 3 (54:24):
I feel when you say most Lakers, you're talking fans
seventy of Laker fans want Lebron gone.

Speaker 6 (54:32):
Yeah, is that like some pole that I missed somewhere.

Speaker 4 (54:36):
Yeah, probably was a poll that you missed. You arny
span your pole.

Speaker 3 (54:40):
So you're just you're going NBA sentil on me. You're
just towing numbers out here that don't even know. I
know Los Angeles. I used to do local radio there.

Speaker 2 (54:49):
You may have heard of me. What year, That doesn't matter,
one hundred years ago, one hundred years ago, but I
could tell. I feel like most Laker fans want him gone.
I don't know, maybe I'm not reading the room right.

Speaker 3 (55:03):
I don't think anybody wants to necessarily see him gone
because you're not going to be a good basketball team
without him. I mean, you're gonna count on Lebron and
a developing roster. And this year, when you're hamstrung with
the fifty two million dollar opt.

Speaker 2 (55:19):
In akab Luca, can you know, recruit somebody like Marcus
Smart But Lebron never really wanted to recruit anybody to
the Lakers.

Speaker 3 (55:28):
Well, I think Lebron was intercol in getting Anthony Davis.
I mean, he he kind of made it clear that
that's who he wanted there or at the very least
through his people did. I don't think you can say.

Speaker 2 (55:39):
That, Well, Anthony Davis had to be you know, you
know he wasn't a free agent though, so.

Speaker 3 (55:46):
Well, I mean what free agent Kawhi Leonard is really
the only one that they missed out on right, that
was being talked about as going to the.

Speaker 6 (55:53):
Lakers like that was of him. Yeah, I don't think
he's going to be out. I'm not.

Speaker 3 (55:57):
Don't turn me into a place where I got to
defend Lebron. He but I mean, I just I don't
think it's I don't think it's as cerbic and as
necessarily negative as everyone makes it out to be. Because
we live, eat, breathe, and die as a medium on
everything Lebron does.

Speaker 2 (56:14):
You don't think he's sending mixed signals when he does
the working out behind the clipper we'll go and stuff
like that or no, I have no idea.

Speaker 3 (56:22):
You know what I care about is he gonna be
there when the season starts, and is he gonna be healthy?
Because if he is, I think the Lakers are gonna
be good. It's a three seed in the West Man,
and I know that it was tight between three and eight,
but they got a full off season to work together,
and they're trying to get a little bit of size
in there.

Speaker 6 (56:40):
You know, we'll see how this works out.

Speaker 2 (56:42):
By the way, DeAndre Ayton did, what did you think
of Luca's weight loss so far? With the pictures, You're.

Speaker 3 (56:47):
Looking good and it wasn't just like trick photography. Did
you see with the press conference?

Speaker 2 (56:53):
Ill? My question is why were you so damn fat
last year?

Speaker 7 (56:56):
Then?

Speaker 3 (56:57):
I think he was hurt. He wasn't able to get
in shape. He's never really been a guy that took
his fitness seriously. He gets around Lebron and he takes
his fitness seriously.

Speaker 4 (57:06):
Yeah, he looks a lot better, you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (57:10):
All Right, listen, enough Laker talk, enough Lebron talk Arnie
right now, you're like, trade him, get rid.

Speaker 6 (57:15):
Of him, don't have him around the team, right That's.

Speaker 2 (57:17):
I'm in the trading mood. Trade in trade Micah, get
rid of Tyreek Hill. Let's get rid of everybody.

Speaker 3 (57:23):
There's gonna be teams are gonna show up with like
one guy that's gonna be able to play if Arnie
has his way with it, all right, quick break Todd

Speaker 6 (58:26):
How was the break? How you doing?

Speaker 3 (58:27):
And and by the way, congratulations on a great run
with the bet to Board podcast. I'm going to miss it,
but I know I'll still be able to talk to
you here and I'll still see all over the place, right.

Speaker 8 (58:35):
He appreciate it, guys. Yeah, eleven plus years, more than
seven hundred and fifty episodes of putting that podcast together
across a variety of sports, it kind of run its course.
The economics of sports bit and content have changed, and
so at least for this season, we kind of sunset
the platform. Don't anticipate it coming back, at least in
its old iteration, but you never know what the future

(58:56):
will hold. And very thankful for all the listeners across
the country that have tuned in throughout North America and
even our strong UK audience that we had for all
that NFL content. But gonna be happy to talk games
and break him down with you guys every Sunday night
throughout the fall. And plenty of tremendous storylines already, and
kudos to Arnie he will not go winless this preseason. Yeah,

(59:17):
the Chargers plus a point and a half on Thursday Night.
Kudos are thank you, thank you.

Speaker 2 (59:22):
D I'm picking in one hundred percent, so I'm a
little disappointed, but I'm I'm sure I'll pick it up
on that topic before we even get to the Pigs I.
First of all, I want to apologize for what I'm
about to ask you, but this is, this is what
you missed when you were gone. We were talking a
little blackjack, and I said, if I have a If
I have thirteen and the dealer has a ten, and

(59:43):
I know the dealer probably has a three underneath, why
am I going to take a ten and bust and
not let the dealer bust?

Speaker 3 (59:50):
And Chris Planks ARCU never hits if he has a
I don't bust a face card, he said, I dance
around it.

Speaker 8 (01:00:00):
You know, here's the thing, Plank. If Arnie actually knows
what the dealer has for a whole card a surprise,
he's allowed at any casino in the first place. So
he effectively tried to bury the lead there right off
the top. But generally speaking, if you are playing traditional rules, no,
if a dealer is showing a ten and you have thirteen,
you're gonna hold and you're gonna hope the dealer bus
that he's got a little picture little card in the

(01:00:21):
hole yep, or some capacity. But yeah, Arnie, if the
dealer is showing a ten and you have thirteen, you
always hit.

Speaker 2 (01:00:27):
You're not standing up that's why I've been banned by
every casino and have a big banned by a single.
You know they want you there.

Speaker 6 (01:00:34):
You've been banned by it.

Speaker 8 (01:00:35):
If a dealer is showing a ten and Arnie's holding
with thirteen series standing pad on thirteen, they're going to
welcome his business at every opportunity.

Speaker 1 (01:00:43):
They will roll out.

Speaker 8 (01:00:45):
The red carpet every time mister Spaniel is within a
hundred minds.

Speaker 2 (01:00:49):
Did I don't know if you heard this. Bill Krackenberger
was talking about this this morning, that there was a
casino that wasn't paying out sports winners because they would
like follow a guy like like a talk shows like myself.
Listen to it.

Speaker 8 (01:01:04):
It definitely wasn't you, Arnie. It definitely wasn't you.

Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
But you don't know that. You don't know that. And
they all made their bets around the same time, and
now the casino is refusing to pay it. I'm thinking
it's my listeners right now.

Speaker 8 (01:01:14):
You know, well, it's a good point. It could have
been your listeners looking to go against you over the
years and be able to line their pockets. So I
didn't think about that particular possibility, But there's no doubt
Bill is right in his assessments there, I won't name
the sports book Bill is a little bit more candid
in the way that he'll attack the industry on a
regular basis, But it is a problematic situation that's starting

(01:01:35):
to develop with a lot of books trying to do
everything they can to limit some of the winning betters
that are out there. And if you listen to any
of the earnings calls for those financial nerds out there
like myself, I mean, some of the whole numbers that
these national books are forecasting in the twelve to fifteen
percent range as we inch towards football season is unheard of.
Because if you want to put things in perspective, when

(01:01:55):
I was behind the counter in the Stone Ages where
we didn't have the mobile app, you know, we'd be
thrilled if we could hold six to seven percent over
the course of our fiscal year at easers.

Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
That's wild.

Speaker 3 (01:02:06):
So just to put a cap on that is it
as simple as they'll just say, if Todd Furman's putting
his picks out and he happens to tweet him, we'll
just look for a ton of action around that time.
Whenever he put his tweets out or whenever he does
his segment. I mean, how engaged do you have to
be to truly be following that?

Speaker 8 (01:02:24):
So the books are getting smarter, or i should say
more sophisticated with some of their risk management technology and software.
They'll have time stamps. Of course, for every wager that
comes in. They'll have a rough idea. You know, if
there's a particular betting syndicate that's out there, or some
of the services that have a lot of market influence
when it comes to putting out their bets, that they
may get inundated with wagers, not allowing them to properly

(01:02:46):
balance the books accordingly. Look, I'm hoping the scenario that
Bill was referencing becomes an isolated incident and not the norm.
But we did see some house rules that were updated
that kind of gives these sportsbooks carp launch more so
than putting in black and white. This is how we'll
handle these situations going forward. You never want to read,
whether it's a casino, whether it's a sports book or

(01:03:08):
anything else that we reserve the right to blank. It
always puts you in a precarious predicament as a consumer.

Speaker 2 (01:03:14):
Well, until they shut me up, I've given out winners. Todd, we'
is the first week in the Hall of Fame game.
I mean it was stealing the Chargers in the over.
I mean, my goodness, man, it wasn't even close, Todd.
It was embarrassing.

Speaker 8 (01:03:27):
Do you have anything for me to fade going into
week one of the preseason. I mean, you have a
full menu in front of you, Arnie. Every team will
be in action. You've already seen. The Chargers will get
a game under their belt at Detroit Lions as well.
I mean, it is a veritable sports betting the faith
where you can get it on Thursday night, Week one.

Speaker 2 (01:03:45):
I love Love the Bears over Miami lay in two
and a half. Love that game, loved him, Love that one.

Speaker 3 (01:03:53):
So you're sitting here telling us tonight the Dolphins are
going to go fifteen to two this year, and your
first pick is for them to lose the very first.

Speaker 2 (01:04:00):
It's a preseason. This is why you don't know football,
That's right.

Speaker 8 (01:04:07):
That's how that always becomes a default plank. And anytime
Arnie tells you that, you should feel better about what
you actually do know about the great game of football.
That Arnie will one day hope to realize in some capacity.

Speaker 2 (01:04:17):
INSNTO is anybody. Is there any movement on the preseason
week one, especially with two teams already have played or not?

Speaker 8 (01:04:24):
Really No, not a lot of movement on those games.
Most teams haven't really announced what their rotations will be,
a pretty good idea of what the travel schedules will
look like, and everyone has different goals and agendas as
we go into week one of the preseason. But Arnie,
you know what, I'm gonna do something here for you
that I rarely don't do gentlemen on Sunday nights. I'm
going to give you a preseason game, Arnie, that I

(01:04:47):
have already hat for a week one. I actually I
actually laid the two and a half with the Cowboys
against the Rams this coming weekend. I think by the
time everybody wakes up tomorrow morning, that game will be three.
And I would not be shocked if we were talking
about that game drifting north of a field goal before
kickoff when those two teams play, I believe on Saturday
this week the.

Speaker 2 (01:05:07):
Boys of the Rams.

Speaker 3 (01:05:09):
I know, I know Todd that it's kind of tough
to tell right now because Matt Stafford wasn't going to
play in the preseason and Sean mcvayh never plays his
starters in the preseason. But when do we start getting
concerned about these issues around Stafford? Is it veteran maintenance?
Is is it truly going to be another issue, another
arm issue? Like what's going on here? How concerned should

(01:05:30):
we be?

Speaker 8 (01:05:31):
I don't think we worry until the first time we
see Matthew Stafford out there Week one against the Houston Texans,
and if he is constantly under duress against that very
talented Houston defensive front, then it becomes a bit more problematic.
I think when you know a lot of people are
putting the rams on this pedestal is one of the
teams to beat in the NFC. You can understand given
how they finished last year. I mean they put together

(01:05:53):
the most competitive sixty minutes against the Eagles of any
team in that NFC playoff picture. But Matthew Stafford's back
always a concern. I think what's been overlooked with the
blood clots to Alaric Jackson as well along that offensive line,
and if you don't have the building blocks in front
of a quarterback that doesn't have mobility on his side,
it's a little bit problematic. And while I like the
way that they've drafted and will continue to develop talent

(01:06:15):
along that defensive line, I think there are some questions
that the Rams are going to have to answer. And
in my opinion, it's really a three horse race in
that division because the forty nine ers will be healthier
and have one of the softest schedules in the league.
And I'm actually going to say that Arizona takes the
next step forward. I think we're going to get the
best out of Kyler Murray this upcoming season.

Speaker 2 (01:06:33):
Did you bet any long shots, any season long totals
or divisional winner winners or anything like that.

Speaker 8 (01:06:39):
Nothing in the way of get rich quick type schemes
that I know you send to gravitate towards looking to
try and bet that Miami Dolphins to win the Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (01:06:48):
Or love the Dolphins. Love the Dolphins.

Speaker 8 (01:06:51):
You can, and we'll have this conversation in early September
when they're owing one and they lose to the Colts
by double digits in that season opener with the defensive
that I'm not sure what star for Brent Venables defense
out there at Norman given all the injuries that they've suffered.
But when you're looking at the board for some of
the other ways to approach it, actually dabbled with a
player prop. I think Trevor Lawrence has a big season

(01:07:12):
with Liam Conez offensive coordinator. So his over under on
touchdown passes I believe is twenty two and a half
pretty widely available at this point. I think he has
an excellent chance to go over that number if he
stays healthy. Look for that passing attack to be much
more dynamic than what we've seen, So I think Lawrence
is going to experience a bump in his productivity. And
one team that I'm a little bit more down on,
I guess than I will say the betting market. I

(01:07:33):
think you're going to continue to see under money on
the Seattle Seahawks come in. I know I talked about
the Rams, the forty nine ers, and Cardinals kind of
eating three teams that will compete for the division. When
you have a team's win total sitting in that eight
and a half threshold, and for me they're the fourth
best team in the division, I'm always happy to go under.
So I've gone under eight and a half on the
Seahawks and have no problem if folks want to go

(01:07:54):
under that seven and a half total and take plus
a dime in that category.

Speaker 3 (01:07:57):
I love it, man, So glad you're back, Todd. Have
a great weekend, our guests, gress great week. We got
football back all week long and joy and we'll talk
to you next Sunday.

Speaker 1 (01:08:05):
Keep keeping I know everybody.

Speaker 8 (01:08:07):
Wait, I know everybody waits for football. But gentlemen, the
older we get the summers.

Speaker 2 (01:08:11):
Move by way way wait too.

Speaker 8 (01:08:13):
Quickly, and there aren't enough hours in the day for
us to take on the therapy that we need to
deal with. Arnie throughout the course of the fall.

Speaker 2 (01:08:19):
Just stop stop hitting on sixteen, would you please stop it?

Speaker 5 (01:08:23):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (01:08:24):
I mean, look, I always want to stand pad on thirteen,
Arnie when a dealer is showing you ten, I mean
clearly in your favor in that particular situation.

Speaker 2 (01:08:31):
I'll teach you guys mathematics later on.

Speaker 3 (01:08:34):
I can't wait for it. All right, We'll see you, Todd.
Todd Furman the Bet the Board podcast. We tip our
cap to great run over what eleven years and now
you'll catch him regularly Fridays with Jason Smith. Sunday's here
with us, and of course he is all over Twitter
at Todd Furman.

Speaker 6 (01:08:50):
Wow, good have him back.

Speaker 3 (01:08:52):
Good have Steve the Seger sliding in the studio, because
we got a lot to recap from a busy Sunday
and sports.

Speaker 6 (01:08:57):
What's going on now?

Speaker 2 (01:08:58):
You hear Any Poloni from the same that he wants
days to Chargers off. Oh you're doing Georgia game. Is
Georgia game.

Speaker 13 (01:09:04):
I'll be back after the game next Sunday.

Speaker 2 (01:09:06):
Wow for you.

Speaker 13 (01:09:09):
For Chris, I'll be here.

Speaker 2 (01:09:11):
You're not going to be here next week to the
Did I approve that already?

Speaker 13 (01:09:14):
That's right, you approving? So I'm sorry y'all laughing here injeez, you.

Speaker 2 (01:09:20):
Mentioned I'm a lot thing at what people are saying
about our crew on twitters. What I'm wanting we have
a great crew. Yeah, that's that what they're saying on Twitter.

Speaker 13 (01:09:28):
Well you can't name them.

Speaker 2 (01:09:29):
That's probably one of the things.

Speaker 13 (01:09:30):
They're talking about. The Yeah, we mentioned last hour that
the Phillies in the Sunday night ball game shut out
Detroit two to nothing. Time of the game was two
hours and five minutes, and the winning pitcher for the Phills,
Christopher Sanchez, through eight scoreless innings with only eighty four pitches.
The Guy is ten and three two point four oh
e RA and a home run for Kyle Schwarber, his

(01:09:52):
thirty eighth that's tied for the National League lead. In fact,
Schwarber is the first player in baseball history to hit
at least thirty eight home runs in each of his
first four seasons with a team. He's up to eighty
eight RBIs already that leads the National League, and the
Phillies are alone in first in the NL East half
game over the Mets, who lost at home twelve to
four to San Francisco. The loss to Frankie Montes, whose

(01:10:14):
era is over six and a half. The Braves beat
the Reds at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee, four to two,
continuation of the game that was suspended by rain Saturday
night in the first inning. The Dodgers and Padres each
one LA first in the nlst still three games on
San Diego. In a couple weeks, it'll be Dodgers against
the Padres. Milwaukee and the Cubs each one. Brewers first

(01:10:35):
in the NL Central, still two games over Chicago at
Wrigley Field today, the Cubs win was five to three
over Baltimore on a two run homer in the bottom
of the ninth by pinch hitter Justin Turner. The O's
had just tied the game in the top of the ninth.
Miami won its fifth straight game, Boston won its fifth
in a row. Seattle edged Texas five to four, and
Kansas City won in ten innings at Toronto, seven to four.

(01:10:58):
NASCAR victory for William Byron at Iowa, the golf winner
in North Carolina Cameron Young the PGA's Tour Championships only
about three weeks away. WNBA wins for New York and Indiana.
Trinity Rodman returned from a back injury to score the
late game winner. Her Washington team beat Portland two to one.
She'd missed nearly four months in the NWSL. Miami says

(01:11:20):
Lionel Messi suffered a minor leg injury on Saturday. Minor
the word they use. Forty nine Ers signed veteran wide
receiver Robbie Chosen. Running back James Cook of the Bills
sat out practice. He wants a contract extension back to you.

Speaker 3 (01:11:33):
Oh there you go, Arnie, there's your problems for the
sales of your You were looking for issues with the
Bills because you say they have problems. Yeah, they got
to come to a deal. James Cook got to make
them happy. I bet they will. Hey, I did want
to touch here since we got a moment and Disager
is going to jump back in here with the segment.
But I did want to talk about Roman numeral twelve

(01:11:55):
and Roman numeral thirteen because I guess I didn't even
realize you already got a house sold.

Speaker 2 (01:12:01):
Got the house sold. It took me like an hour,
so I was very I'm thinking to myself, did I
not make it high enough?

Speaker 4 (01:12:07):
But well, you can't think about that now.

Speaker 6 (01:12:10):
Maybe you should have been in real estate.

Speaker 4 (01:12:11):
Yeah, oh that's my passion too.

Speaker 2 (01:12:13):
I like, so house is sold and my wife's already
down in Connecticut. I'm living as a bachelor up here
in Vermont for about a month. So party, party, party
for me, and I got to get it packed, which
I won't do anything.

Speaker 4 (01:12:29):
This is how lazy I am.

Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
Even though I'm not doing anything. Monday through Friday, my
wife will have to take days off work and drive
back up here to pack everything because I stop it.

Speaker 3 (01:12:37):
I'm serious right now, you want I don't do that stuff.
I don't do the packing, but you don't. I mean,
this is this is your only gig.

Speaker 2 (01:12:48):
I don't know how to do it.

Speaker 3 (01:12:51):
Sunday nights eleven two a right, and then you have
the whole rest of the week to learn how to
do it.

Speaker 2 (01:12:57):
I mean, I can't. I can't.

Speaker 4 (01:12:59):
I can't do that.

Speaker 2 (01:13:00):
I can't do that. Okay. Yeah, so she has to
drive back up here and do the.

Speaker 3 (01:13:04):
You're bragging about that. It's like, I'll show you watch
my woman come down here and do this.

Speaker 2 (01:13:08):
I'm you know, I'm a trophy husband. You know that
already about me.

Speaker 3 (01:13:14):
And and then the other thing is, I guess you
just went what winnahead and just got everything?

Speaker 2 (01:13:18):
I got the everything package. I just said, you know,
what'd you go with though?

Speaker 6 (01:13:21):
Direct TV? Netflix? What'd you go with?

Speaker 4 (01:13:23):
No, with the cable company that's in my area?

Speaker 5 (01:13:26):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:13:26):
I got Okay, So you just went basically a good call.
I went and I get the red Zone package. I
get the NFL and MLB, NBA all that crap, and
then I get the local regional sports so I get
to see my Knicks and my Mets. So hopefully I
get to watch all the games and I get to
go to the games. This is gonna be all change

(01:13:47):
of life for me.

Speaker 3 (01:13:48):
Well, it depends on how much you're spending now, I
mean as a trophy husband, I mean, holy smokes man,
you really so does Is it all your uh gambling
winnings that you pay for these tickets with?

Speaker 5 (01:13:58):
What?

Speaker 2 (01:13:59):
For what?

Speaker 4 (01:13:59):
Tickets?

Speaker 2 (01:14:00):
The games? Oh yeah, it's no big did not that
expensive to go to Nick games are expensive though, but
the met game.

Speaker 3 (01:14:08):
Well, congratulations, I'm glad. I'm glad you got it done
very quickly, because that can stretch out a bit. And
I noticed that you were fired up about this report
that you sent me from earlier tonight that we have
not been able to confirm. But the only people reporting
it are at Let me make sure I get there
at Polymarket blitz on Twitter about the Tyreek Hill and

(01:14:29):
Terry McLaurin swap.

Speaker 6 (01:14:30):
But you almost fell for what the model?

Speaker 2 (01:14:33):
Yeah, wa on a third rounder going to Washington for McLaren. Oh,
and I'm like, no, don't do that. I almost felt
for that, And I almost felt for the Cedric Mullins
wanting to wear number thirty one and have it unretired
the Mike Piazza number. And I guess a bunch of
talk shows actually did fall for that one about that
that's start.

Speaker 3 (01:14:53):
Well, you also almost fell for the Steph Curry one too.

Speaker 4 (01:14:56):
Oh yeah about getting trade to Milwaukee.

Speaker 2 (01:14:58):
Yeah yeah, but I'm like that, I don't believe that
first split second, But then I looked at the thing
that did that be fooled like the Mike Piazza. That
one really had me fooled there. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:15:09):
Well, I'm glad you got everything settled when we got
When we come back to the Fox Sports Radio studios,
it is time for the segment Steve Di Sager gets
us caught up on everything in the world of sports
right here on Fox Sports Radio. Oh it's at time,
ladies and gentlemen. Harry comes rolling in the studios. It

(01:15:31):
is Steve to Sega, you better have my favorite story
of the day. I'm gonna see if he's.

Speaker 13 (01:15:36):
Got it this segment. What's going on, Steve ed what
is that favorite story?

Speaker 2 (01:15:41):
It has to do with a team called Portland. Go ahead,
the Portland Pickles.

Speaker 3 (01:15:48):
Clearly, I don't that you didn't hear about that story
The fan that got a chance.

Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
The Portland Pickles picked a fan out of the stands
to play to get in the bat, and the guy.

Speaker 6 (01:15:57):
Hit only.

Speaker 3 (01:16:00):
And yes, they randomly picked a fan who went up
to the plate and had one of the smoothest swings
you'll see.

Speaker 2 (01:16:06):
Oh, I had a home run.

Speaker 13 (01:16:08):
Yeah, So when are the pickles playing the bananas?

Speaker 2 (01:16:11):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:16:13):
Well done, Steve, well done.

Speaker 9 (01:16:14):
I bet Arnie's convinced he would hit a home run if.

Speaker 13 (01:16:17):
He was, no doubt without a bad.

Speaker 2 (01:16:20):
Well, the picture kind of grooved it in there.

Speaker 13 (01:16:23):
I mean, come on, still, really, Bristol Motor Speedway hosted
baseball this week, and it's too bad that it really
didn't work out last night, and really too bad for
the fans. Honestly, they tried, I mean tried to despite
a driving rainstorm, get that game in last night, and finally,
I mean by the time the shortstop was swimming at

(01:16:43):
his position in the they said, no, I'm sorry, we
just have to stop this, even though it's the first
hitting they played the rest of the game. Today, Braves
beat the Reds four two, and in typical Atlanta Braves
twenty twenty five fashion, there was another injury today as
third basement Austin Riley left with an abdominal injury after
diving to make a tag in a rundown toward the play.

(01:17:03):
He had a similar injury last month may have reaggravated that.
They are saying official attendance for the Speedway Classic ninety
one thousand, wow, an MLB regular season record. The previous
Marts Cleveland Stadium with a Cleveland VERSUS Yankees game in
nineteen fifty four, that was about eighty five thousand.

Speaker 4 (01:17:23):
What's the most you ever went to attendance?

Speaker 2 (01:17:26):
What was the most you ever went to baseball?

Speaker 4 (01:17:28):
You're talking about anything, anything.

Speaker 13 (01:17:31):
Well, the Rose Bowls, it's a fair amount. So I
saw a USC UCLA game that was yikes.

Speaker 2 (01:17:39):
I saw Simon and Garfunkel.

Speaker 13 (01:17:41):
Oh a Central Park.

Speaker 4 (01:17:42):
Oh my goodness. I don't know how many people were.

Speaker 13 (01:17:45):
There, more than one hundred and four Oh my.

Speaker 2 (01:17:47):
Goodness, man, I first time had a panic attack. I
was like, I gotta get out of here with people
around me.

Speaker 13 (01:17:54):
Yes, they made a whole Pardon Me Kids album out
of that concert.

Speaker 12 (01:17:58):
What Google says it was an estimated five hundred thousand
people that.

Speaker 13 (01:18:05):
Wow, it was the last well, you know how big
Central Park is. Just for the record, and I mentioned
this last night, it's a regular season record for MLB today.
Because the LA Dodgers when they moved to Los Angeles
hadn't built Dodger Stadium, and they made the World Series
in nineteen fifty nine and three straight days at the Coliseum,
attendance was ninety two thousand. Just for I don't believe

(01:18:27):
that that's absolutely correct. And on top of that, when
the Dodgers were celebrating their fiftieth anniversary in LA there
was a two thousand and eight exhibition of Dodgers Red
Sox at the Coliseum and attendance was one hundred and
fifteen thousand.

Speaker 7 (01:18:41):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:18:42):
That nice.

Speaker 13 (01:18:43):
The numbers out from the exhibition opener of the NFL
staged at the Hall of Fame site. It was Chargers
Lions on Thursday night and it got over six point
two million viewers. That is comparable to a lot of
playoff games in other sports. By the way, we did
have a new class in Shrine Saturday, Antonio Gates, Eric Allen,
Jared Allen, and Sterling Sharp. Just seeing the name Eric

(01:19:06):
Allen reminds me. I don't know if you saw the speech,
but I think he was trying to say to his
son in the crowd, You're welcome at our home any time.
This is still your home. Except in the process of
the speech he actually gave his own home addresses, and
as the kid is watching, he was just aghast, like
the eyes wide and looking around like did I hear that?
Did you hear that? Sure enough?

Speaker 6 (01:19:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:19:27):
So what was the stat about Antonio Gates? He's the
only one in the football Hall of Fame never to
play it down in college? Is that what it was?

Speaker 13 (01:19:34):
That is correct? Not just undrafted, never played college football.
He was a college basketball player at Kent State, had
a run for Kent State and had a run toward
the regional finals. Possible Pro Football Hall of Famers one
year from now include Drew Brees, who also threw passes
to Antonio Gates, Larry Fitzgerald, and coach Bill Belichick. Coaches

(01:19:57):
don't have to wait as long as players after retirement.
Other possibilities quarterback Eli Manning. I think we all agree
whether he deserves it or not, he's whether it's next
year or not, he will be getting in. Put it
that way. I mean, Gates didn't even make it in
his first year of eligibility.

Speaker 6 (01:20:14):
None of these guys did, did they?

Speaker 13 (01:20:15):
There were guys like Tory Holtz and Luke Keighley and
tackle Willie Anderson, Adam Vinieri, which just about the best
kicker I've seen. Those guys are going to be finalists
next year as they were this year. Jason Witten's on
the list for next year, Frank Gore, Philip Rivers, Lashawn McCoy,
Dos Bryant, et cetera. In case you didn't hear, Friday,

(01:20:36):
the DC Council approved to deal with the Washington Commanders
for a new stadium, and they're going to put it
at the site of the old RFK Stadium where they
played through nineteen ninety six. It's going to be a
dome stadium, due to open by twenty thirty. DC's contributing
one billion dollars, the team is investing two point seven
billion in the total project, plus and he cost overruns,

(01:20:58):
and the Bengals the same day fined a new lease
to stay at their current stadium through twenty thirty six.
Plus there's a ten year option on that deal. Most
teams start their exhibition schedule this week. Three games on Thursday,
three on Friday. Most teams will be playing this Saturday
and a couple games next Sunday as well.

Speaker 3 (01:21:17):
The man have a uh, we'll have a fun update
coming up here in a bit Steve good.

Speaker 2 (01:21:21):
You rout to say goodbye.

Speaker 6 (01:21:22):
You didn't even know what I would say audio, So
I was ready to go home.

Speaker 3 (01:21:25):
You kidding me. I didn't want to have to listen
to your picks. I've had had two hours of you
bragging on yourself and talking about the Dolphins, going fifteen
to two.

Speaker 4 (01:21:33):
I'm ready to go home. I'm ready to get enough
time for Chris when.

Speaker 3 (01:21:37):
We come back. We'll hit all your tweets to the show,
and there's a lot of them. Next on Fox Sports Radio,
stick around.

Speaker 1 (01:21:44):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 3 (01:21:47):
You are just I don't know, forty five minutes away. Yes,
from what everyone came for. According to Arnie Tonight's picks.

Speaker 2 (01:21:55):
Absolutely, you know, I'm a little nervous, by the way,
coming up in about four weeks.

Speaker 3 (01:22:00):
Coming up in about four weeks, you're a little bit nervous. Yeah,
because the opening week of the NFL season.

Speaker 2 (01:22:05):
No, I'm nervous because that's what I have to get
out of my house. And I'm nervous about moving my
equipment right down the Connecticut and not be able to
hook it back up again.

Speaker 3 (01:22:15):
Oh, I mean you know what I almost said. Oh, No,
worries but then I'm like, this is you. Oh it
could be a problem. No, yeah, I already made a mistake.
And my wife's like, oh, no, you're gonna have problems.

Speaker 2 (01:22:25):
I'm like, do we have a thing for me to
plug my computer in in our office?

Speaker 3 (01:22:30):
Are you?

Speaker 2 (01:22:31):
She's like, what thing are you?

Speaker 5 (01:22:32):
You know?

Speaker 2 (01:22:33):
I go, I mean like a power outlet? I go, No,
like internet, like you're plug into the She's like, you
don't plug that in anymore.

Speaker 4 (01:22:40):
It's wireless.

Speaker 6 (01:22:41):
Oh that's not good. No, and you needs to be
plugged in.

Speaker 4 (01:22:44):
No, No, it's wireless, isn't it.

Speaker 2 (01:22:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:22:48):
Sure, we'll just go with it. Whatever they say, I
mean idea, I'll just go with it.

Speaker 2 (01:22:52):
Right now.

Speaker 3 (01:22:52):
I think the best way I just just you know,
wing it. I'm sure it'll be fine. I think you
really would like to have a hard wire on are
on our shows on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (01:23:03):
This is not gonna work out. I could I do
have like an extra super gigabyte, which is I heard
is pretty good.

Speaker 3 (01:23:08):
There you go get those extra gigs. Man, it's what
it's all about.

Speaker 2 (01:23:12):
But I'm worried that I'm gonna have to unplug everything
to take pictures and then figure out where everything goes
back again to the right holes, you know what I mean?

Speaker 6 (01:23:23):
Hey, now it's the best way to do it.

Speaker 3 (01:23:25):
It's take much pictures and then when you look back
at it's even make sense.

Speaker 6 (01:23:28):
That's the that's the that's the idiot proving way.

Speaker 2 (01:23:32):
I don't need a cable box, do I? For this show?
Do I?

Speaker 10 (01:23:35):
No?

Speaker 6 (01:23:36):
I mean, aren't you going to have a cable box?

Speaker 5 (01:23:38):
Though?

Speaker 2 (01:23:39):
I do have a cable box, but I didn't know
if it was needed to be on for me to
do my show. I didn't know.

Speaker 6 (01:23:44):
I think you're good. Can we hit through some of
these revenue?

Speaker 3 (01:23:47):
We got a lot to get to you well, I know,
I know we got tweets that we want to get
to as well.

Speaker 6 (01:23:52):
But I want to hit some of these Roman numerals.

Speaker 3 (01:23:54):
Okay, I'll just all go down the list, because we
have taken care of quite a few of them on
the first page, but Roman numeral number nine. There is
a big pseudo announcement this week that ESPN and the
NFL network has entered into an agreement in the NFL.
I think it still needs like presidential approval. That's how
big this deal is. Something like that, and I think

(01:24:15):
all of us have this same concern. Please do not
ESPN up or red Zone. Just let Scott Hanson continue
to do it. Let red Zone be red Zone. Put
it wherever you're gonna put it. I don't need commercials
doing it. Even though I know they found they found
ways to slip sponsors in, and I know we gotta
make we gotta recoup, and I get it, and I
believe me, I get it. But let's can we please

(01:24:37):
not ESPN up this thing? Can we just let it
be what it is? They're not gonna screw up red Zone,
are they?

Speaker 2 (01:24:42):
Well, they do have to make some changes. I mean,
they're gonna have to recoup money, right, isn't that what
this is all about? And you're right, they did slip
in sponsors last year. I don't want them to change hosts.
Is already rumor about them changing hoster making No, it's just.

Speaker 6 (01:24:56):
It's kind of listen.

Speaker 3 (01:24:57):
I appreciate the commit meant that all of the networks
have made Fox Sports very much invested in the Big
Ten and the NFL. ESPN continues to invest in college
football and invest in the NFL, and see CBS and
NBC doing their thing. But there is a certain I
don't know, Knack. Maybe it's the best way to put it.
And I know this comes across as like someone on

(01:25:19):
one network taking a shot at the other, but that's not.
I mean, I'm just I'm a fan, is what I am.
When ESPN screws things up more than make it better.
I mean, we're sitting here pining away for the T
and T show, NBA uh Chuck Barkley and Shack and
all them to get over to ESPN to save their
pregame shows because they're so bad. I just I just

(01:25:40):
want it to be left alone. And I know that's
not going to be the case, is it? You?

Speaker 6 (01:25:44):
Specifically, when it comes to red.

Speaker 2 (01:25:45):
Zone, you would be a good host for the Red
Zone channel. I would love the Red Zone me and
not so good. I'd say, let's stay out to Miami
for a half hour and see what.

Speaker 3 (01:25:55):
Would they allow me to have? Can I Can I
at least have uh so for the morning session, for
the afternoon session? Could I at least have four beers
during it?

Speaker 6 (01:26:05):
By the end of it?

Speaker 2 (01:26:05):
Wow?

Speaker 6 (01:26:06):
Well, I mean that's that's kind of the match.

Speaker 4 (01:26:08):
We don't ever red zone for college football.

Speaker 2 (01:26:11):
You know, that'd be awesome.

Speaker 3 (01:26:13):
It would be But here's the problem, because I've thought
about this. You would have to get everyone to agree
on the TV rights from it. Because with the NFL,
everyone's under one broadcast package, so Fox, CBS, ESPN all
their games, and I know it's more Fox CBS because
it's here in the day.

Speaker 6 (01:26:32):
With college football.

Speaker 3 (01:26:33):
You would need ESPN to get along with Fox and
for them to get along with CBS and get along
with NBC. And then there are some of these games
that are on digital only platforms, so and I know
people like I wouldn't want to go to those games anyway,
but it would be you know, they do it on radio.

Speaker 6 (01:26:49):
Lear Field does it on radio, and it's good.

Speaker 3 (01:26:51):
It's really good, like when you're bouncing around to these
games and you're getting the home played by a play call.
I wish they had it for college football. I think
it would take everyone kind of getting on the same
page TV deal wise, And then where would you have it.
Where would it live? Would it just live online? Would
it live on on one of the eighteen ESPN channels?
Would it live on Fox Sports one? Then you would
have that fight as well.

Speaker 2 (01:27:14):
Now you're making my head spin on that part, But yeah,
I just thought it would be a fun thing that
happened to challenge, like to do the NFL.

Speaker 3 (01:27:20):
All right, A lot of these things we have kind
of hit on, but on Roman numerallet's see XB eighteen
oh eighteen. I'm just bouncing around it. Well, we've already
hit on twelve and thirteen. Nobody cares about baseball right now,
so I mean you can you can kind of copy
and paste Roman Numeral fourteen, even though Friday Night was amazing,

(01:27:41):
amazing and major League Baseball and Roman Numeral fifteen. Do
you really want to talk about the Hall of Fame game? No,
not really talking about Okay, not really. I think you
just had that in there because you felt like you
were contractually obligated.

Speaker 4 (01:27:52):
And plus but yeah, yeah, yeah, and.

Speaker 3 (01:27:54):
You started to out right, that's anything from Thursday night,
anything for the Chargers line game.

Speaker 6 (01:28:00):
Well, I don't care.

Speaker 2 (01:28:01):
Answered my preseason Hall of Fame. I don't think that
has been my preseason Hall of Fame.

Speaker 3 (01:28:06):
But he's been bad before. So do you have one
good performance and suddenly you're in? Is that how it works?

Speaker 2 (01:28:12):
Yeah? One good performance automatically puts you in the preseason
Hall of Fame and out of the basoft well, you
know it is the preseason.

Speaker 6 (01:28:20):
But Roman Numeral eighteen.

Speaker 3 (01:28:22):
Yeah, you asked two simple questions and we touched on
this a little bit on the Friday night show.

Speaker 2 (01:28:27):
Most overrated team this year, Most underrated and don't forget
Roman numerld number nineteen. I like that question too.

Speaker 3 (01:28:35):
What's the one or two things that will one hundred
percent happen this year in the NFL?

Speaker 2 (01:28:40):
Yeah? Yeah, oh buddy, one hundred guarantee?

Speaker 6 (01:28:42):
Say well, I mean you can't guarantee a damn thing.

Speaker 3 (01:28:45):
Say yeah, you cannot guarantee anything except you're gonna go
to bed when this show is over.

Speaker 6 (01:28:49):
That's the only guarantee you can make me.

Speaker 3 (01:28:52):
And I don't even think you wait until the equipment
turns off. I think you're out as soon as the
show's over. But let's let's let's do these two. Let's
do most overrated Rate a team I can.

Speaker 2 (01:29:01):
Tell you, I can tell you is it. It's so
tough for me to say overrated because they're not a
very good team, but everybody's jumping on their bail wagon
this year and they think they're gonna be good and
this is their year, even though they don't good in practice.
I'm talking about the Chicago Bears. You look at all
the people jumping on that. Oh now they got their
really got the pieces in place, and Cave Williams understands

(01:29:25):
the offense and this is gonna be their year in
the NFC North. I think everybody's overrating them. I don't.
I don't see it happening for them this year.

Speaker 6 (01:29:33):
Eight and a half, so it's more than your Dolphins.

Speaker 2 (01:29:38):
That's a big number, especially in that division. If things
go south, Wow, that's a that's a big number out there.

Speaker 3 (01:29:45):
I think the teams at eight and a half are fascinating. Yeah,
this is maybe I need to update this, but Arizona, Chicago, Dallas, Minnesota,
New England, Pittsburgh, and Seattle.

Speaker 2 (01:29:58):
Wow and a half.

Speaker 3 (01:29:59):
I mean, and again, eight and a half means you
expect them to basically, if you're taking the over have
a winning record and compete for a playoff spot. Here's
a team that I think is overrated. And again I
don't even know. I don't even know what the pundits
are really saying about him. I'm just looking at a
double digit win total number. I think the Lions are
a little overrated right now. I think it's I.

Speaker 4 (01:30:19):
Guess I can see that. I can see why you
think that.

Speaker 3 (01:30:22):
I get their rosters good, but remember they battled injuries
last year and that's an unknown and you're replacing both coordinators.
You're replacing both and both of your coordinators got head
coaches jobs, which is pretty amazing, to be honest, So
and again, probably unfair, but I think that's gonna be

(01:30:42):
a tougher division this year.

Speaker 4 (01:30:43):
I know you're they got a great offense, though.

Speaker 3 (01:30:46):
I mean, how different will it look under Johnny Morton
as opposed to Ben Johnson.

Speaker 9 (01:30:50):
I now just retired to one of the best centers
in the league.

Speaker 3 (01:30:53):
They just lost part of their offensive line. I mean,
I just and that number is ten and a half.
But here's what's interesting is I think San Francisco's a
little overrated this year.

Speaker 4 (01:31:03):
No, I don't. I don't think they're overrated.

Speaker 3 (01:31:06):
What makes you like them? Well, I just whenever you
dump on brock Party consistently.

Speaker 2 (01:31:10):
On this program, I think they were just stumbled because
of all the injuries last year and it just was a.

Speaker 6 (01:31:17):
Well then who's okay, I'll say, who's back.

Speaker 2 (01:31:21):
Everybody's back. McCaffrey's going to be one hundred percent healthy.
That was the biggest concern. I mean that was every time.

Speaker 3 (01:31:27):
I've already had questions about what he's looking like right now,
and Brandon Ayuk is already missing timing.

Speaker 2 (01:31:32):
Why McCaffrey's got problems or I didn't hear about McCaffrey
ever than any problems right now.

Speaker 3 (01:31:36):
I mean, you're counting on him coming back from a
pretty serious injury.

Speaker 6 (01:31:41):
Yeah, you see the highlight and you fall in love.

Speaker 2 (01:31:47):
You better not let me see. I scoured Twitter just
to say I live on those highways. You know that, Blake,
you know that.

Speaker 3 (01:31:54):
I like San Francisco's offensive line and so that.

Speaker 6 (01:31:58):
But I just ten and a half. It's big number. Man, Man,
that's a big number.

Speaker 2 (01:32:01):
I'll give you an underrated team. Even though people have
jumped on their bandwagon this year, I still think they're
on the rated I think they're gonna be like a
eleven win team. I like Atlanta Falcons this year. That's
my team in the NFC, Michael, right now, I do,
I really do, And I think they're gonna finally have
a big year. But he's been waiting for them to

(01:32:22):
break out. I think there's gonna be their year.

Speaker 3 (01:32:24):
I see, I I am torn because you're in that division.

Speaker 2 (01:32:29):
You know, I know you say.

Speaker 3 (01:32:30):
That, but the Saints just don't look like they really
have everything going their way.

Speaker 2 (01:32:35):
They don't.

Speaker 3 (01:32:36):
But I kind of I kind of like Carolina a
little bit more than I like Atlanta.

Speaker 13 (01:32:41):
This year.

Speaker 4 (01:32:42):
I think, oh wow, really, that's crazy.

Speaker 6 (01:32:45):
Carolina started to show some things last year.

Speaker 3 (01:32:47):
I mean everyone everyone's kind of slept on the way
that they finished the season last year. Favored in that division.
It's got to be Alan Tama. It's Tampa, is it really?
Tampa is the favorite in that division right now?

Speaker 2 (01:32:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:32:58):
But I mean you look at kind of look at
the way things went last year for Carolina and her
first year head coach. They took their lumps, but then
down the stretch of the season.

Speaker 2 (01:33:08):
They played better. They did beat a lot better.

Speaker 3 (01:33:10):
You know, they won two of their last three games
on granted they were both in overtime, but you know,
I just I like you be Hubbard. I think he's
a good running back.

Speaker 2 (01:33:18):
They got the wide receiver.

Speaker 6 (01:33:20):
Yeah, so I don't know. I mean, listen, I'll go
with you on this one.

Speaker 2 (01:33:24):
Though.

Speaker 3 (01:33:24):
I think Atlanta is going to be good too, and
they would be an underrated team.

Speaker 2 (01:33:27):
But I don't know, got the Cowboys this year? What
about the Cowboy Because everybody says there's not a bit
of a peat champion in twenty years in the NFC East.
Washington won last year, but I actually be Philadelphia one
last year. But I don't see anybody upsetting them this year.

Speaker 3 (01:33:42):
Dallas is at eight and a half in the most
recent updates that were from bet MGM.

Speaker 2 (01:33:47):
I don't either.

Speaker 3 (01:33:48):
But here's the thing. One thing that is, and I
think every Eagle fan will tell you this. You got
Vic Fangio, and I know how you feel about coordinators, Arnie,
you don't care, but you got his second, third year second,
you're now with the team. But they've got a lot
to replace on defense. They lost a lot. This is
what happens when you win a Super Bowl. This is
what happens when you have success. People go and get

(01:34:10):
your guys and they've got to replace you know, a
lot of really good players. But they've drafted so well
that you just look at their defensive line right now.
And Ojamo is a seventh round pick that's gonna start
in one edge. You got Jordan Davis from Georgia in
the interior that was a first round pick in twenty two.
Jalen Carter was the first round pick. He's gonna be

(01:34:32):
in the interior in twenty twenty two or in twenty
twenty three. Excuse me, Nolan Smith, you got him. He's
gonna start at one of your backer spot's first round pick.
I mean, they they their whole defense literally, arenie with
the guys they lost their replacing them with dudes they drafted.
I mean, you want to talk about just a really
well built team. Every time, I'm like, gosh, Philadelphia has

(01:34:53):
a lot to replace and they got to deal with this.

Speaker 2 (01:34:55):
They gotta deal with that.

Speaker 3 (01:34:56):
They look and you realize, oh yeah, by the way,
they also you know, they they got a guy like
Kobe Dean, who's uh I think is gonna be healthy
this year. So it's just it's fascinating to me whenever
you look at this defense and you realize how much
of it is quote unquote homegoing talent out.

Speaker 2 (01:35:12):
There right right. And one other team I wanted to
bring up because everybody's like, hey, this could be their year.
They fall. They got themselves a quarterback. The Jets are
gonna be so bad that they're gonna wish they had
Zach Wilson back.

Speaker 4 (01:35:23):
That's that's how bad that they're.

Speaker 2 (01:35:25):
Gonna go mad. I really wish we had Zach Wilson back.
They're gonna be horrible their offense. Have you seen all that?

Speaker 7 (01:35:31):
That?

Speaker 2 (01:35:31):
Uh what was making the rounds on Twitter about how
Gino was what like two for ten or something was horrible?
Just terrible? I mean Justin or yeah, James, I'm sorry,
I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (01:35:42):
Yeah, because I see Geno Smith lighting up at Raiders
practice right now. Should I be getting excited about that?
I mean, come on, every highlight is a big play
under Chip Kelly. But I you know what's weird? Justin
Fields is on team three. Yeah, and he started and
did well at Pittsburgh last year while he started, but
they could wait to replace him.

Speaker 6 (01:36:03):
I guess I don't understand why he was.

Speaker 3 (01:36:06):
It was considered such a home run get for the
Jets whenever they got like him, right, I like him.

Speaker 2 (01:36:13):
But I didn't think it was the the missing piece
of the puzzle there.

Speaker 12 (01:36:17):
Can I speak for Jets nation as a Jets fan,
I I personally wasn't thrilled when they signed Justin Fields,
but out of the quarterbacks available this offseason, he was
like pretty clearly one of the better ones. And if
you kind of just come to terms with that and
accept as a Jets fan that this year isn't going
to be some super Bowl or Buss type year. It's

(01:36:40):
literally just let's see where we're at as a franchise.
I kind of like Justin Field is the guy, you
know at least there's some upside, and yeah, that's my thought.

Speaker 4 (01:36:48):
You know what they're gonna get next year?

Speaker 3 (01:36:51):
That tell him Plank arch Manning's not coming out to
the Jets because it would be the worst team in
the NFL.

Speaker 6 (01:37:01):
He just completely ignored what we said.

Speaker 2 (01:37:03):
But because you think.

Speaker 4 (01:37:04):
He's gonna stay another year in college.

Speaker 2 (01:37:05):
Yeah, I do, I do.

Speaker 3 (01:37:07):
And then listen, he's gotta be good. Are you guys
all convinced arch Manning's gonna go?

Speaker 6 (01:37:12):
And his like the win on fire.

Speaker 2 (01:37:14):
The Giants had? What happens if the Giants had the
worst record? Would arch Maning want to play for the Giants?

Speaker 3 (01:37:20):
They already picked a quarterback in the first round this
year and Jackson Dart plenty of time. Again, you're losing
your mind over a guy that we have seen take once.
Now it's gonna be start one game in sec play.
Everybody just calmed. And by the way, Arnie, you do
know he's not Peyton manning Son. He's Cooper manning Son,
right right, right, yeah, Wena make sure we know all right?

Speaker 6 (01:37:38):
Anyway, there you go.

Speaker 3 (01:37:39):
There are some teams that we think might be a
little bit better and some teams that we think might
be a little bit worse based on way the over
under his set, thus checking off Roman numeral number eighteen.

Speaker 6 (01:37:50):
I like Roman numeral nineteen too much. Let's hold on to.

Speaker 3 (01:37:53):
That one until next week because I've got I've gotta
need some i gotta need what is that English? I
need some time to think about that one.

Speaker 1 (01:38:00):
Hey.

Speaker 3 (01:38:00):
By the way, speaking of Roman numeral twenty, here real
quick before we break. Did you take in the Hall
of Fame ceremony much yesterday?

Speaker 2 (01:38:06):
No, it didn't really interest me. I wasn't getting all
teary eyed or anything like that. Didn't really get all correct.
I saw snippets of it, but I didn't get all.

Speaker 3 (01:38:14):
I liked the note that the segar had earlier about
what Jared Allen gave away his home address. I thought
that was funny. Do you forget how good some of
these guys are because we have become I mean, the
Hall of Fame is overcrowded right now. There's like too
many people in there, Like, what are you gonna do
with all these busts? We're gonna put everyone and you're
it takes like five times for a guy to get in,

(01:38:34):
and we finally gets in.

Speaker 6 (01:38:35):
He's like, oh, we celebrate it, and we should.

Speaker 2 (01:38:37):
But still it's like, how long would your speech be
if you made the radio.

Speaker 3 (01:38:41):
Hole an hour? An hour? I would just sit in
there and talk the whole time. No, but I thought
all the speeches were pretty good. My daughter got into
it actually, really it's very random the things that she'll
get into. If she sat down during Antonio Gates, who
did not talk very long at all, but she's she
literally is like, Dak, can we record this?

Speaker 2 (01:39:00):
I'm like, no, it's Antonio Gates. I can't stand him.
I would just call people out. I'd say the Sager
thought I sucked. Now it could be the Sager.

Speaker 6 (01:39:08):
I'm a Hall of Fame he.

Speaker 3 (01:39:11):
Not really what happens in these Hall of Fame speeches,
but a good weekend it should be some I think
they've done it right where they're playing the game on Thursday.
So that way, you know, it's kind of like everyone's like,
all right, gosh, I don't want to stick around for
this game. The game kind of kicks off the weekend
and I get melting. The turf had a lot to
do with this a couple of years ago, right, In fact,

(01:39:31):
I think we were on the air.

Speaker 2 (01:39:33):
Of the year.

Speaker 3 (01:39:33):
Yeah right, you're so excited. But do you like the
breakdown of the weekend now? Doing the game on Thursday.
We've had several years now with it. I think it
works out well.

Speaker 2 (01:39:42):
It does. By the way, I have seven picks for
this week Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Speaker 3 (01:39:48):
So well, you've got sixteen games, so you're only picking
seven of them. I'm a little bit surprised, but I'm
just giving out the winners this week. Oh okay, fair enough,
and all right when we come back, let's get your tweets.
They've been great. Tonight, Plus, the Saga has an update
as well right here on Fox Sports Radio. All right,
it's Tony in Playing Company live from the Fox Sports
Radio studios tonight. Stinking Genius is about ready to make

(01:40:11):
the big move.

Speaker 2 (01:40:12):
By the way, do you want to play Fantasy football
this year? Me, you and the listeners.

Speaker 3 (01:40:19):
Are you gonna be the commission like a million dollar
buy in?

Speaker 2 (01:40:24):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (01:40:24):
Sure, yeah, that's what you want to do. I mean,
I don't know. I'm not a trophy husband, so I've
got to earn that. So Scott, if it's a million
dollar buy in, boss, man, I need a few overnight fillings.

Speaker 2 (01:40:35):
Because I know I first of all, none of the
listeners scare me, and I know I could beat you.

Speaker 4 (01:40:40):
So I won my fantasy football league last year.

Speaker 3 (01:40:43):
Too, Well, I didn't spread the love. Go for it,
let's do it. How come then you're not giving fantasy
football advice. If you won your league last year, I
figured you'd be all about that. And I'm gonna call
bs because I'm pretty sure if you won your fantasy
football league, you would have been telling us all about it.

Speaker 2 (01:40:58):
Well, I did win fantasy fo I mean I get
I just call Harmon up and he gives me the pixes.
I'm drafting by Harmon.

Speaker 6 (01:41:05):
That's not really you being the fantasy football experts.

Speaker 3 (01:41:08):
I still win the money. What if I call him
before you do? What if I'm on the phone before
you get there?

Speaker 2 (01:41:15):
All right, let's get a problem a couple of these
tweets in here before Yeah we do.

Speaker 3 (01:41:20):
Arnie is going to try to convince Seinfeld he was
a writer for Cheers and was the inspiration for Norm.

Speaker 6 (01:41:25):
Is that what you're gonna do? Whenever you talk to me?

Speaker 2 (01:41:28):
I'm gonna tell him it was Arnie and Beth. Arnie
and Beth were characters another couple on two or three
of Seinfeld's episodes, and there's no doubt that Larry David
made the characters.

Speaker 4 (01:41:40):
After me and Beth. So I'm going to bring that up.

Speaker 2 (01:41:43):
And then I have a few other ideas for Jerry
about some topics, for some comedy topics.

Speaker 3 (01:41:48):
You know what I mean exactly, because that's what he
probably looks forward to getting from people when he meets them.

Speaker 2 (01:41:54):
Mine are pretty funny, though minor, Like I'm gonna say, Jerry,
you know, like I'm sixty two years old, and when
I get together with my fraternity brothers, we still call
each other by our by our nicknames.

Speaker 4 (01:42:05):
So and I'll give him some of the nicknames.

Speaker 2 (01:42:07):
I think, what's yours are? Mine's your nickname? Mine was
Spiggy spig Why just why not? What do you mean why?
Because of my last name? We had other guys, you know,
like Resin and Keg.

Speaker 6 (01:42:20):
I mean span your I guess I could see Spiggy
for ye.

Speaker 2 (01:42:24):
That's that's why I was. Spiggy was my last name.
But I didn't have like but you know, I didn't
have my name wasn't Keg or anything like that.

Speaker 6 (01:42:31):
No, that's exactly.

Speaker 4 (01:42:32):
Everybody has a Keg. Everybody has a friend whose name
is Kag.

Speaker 3 (01:42:35):
You have some people that are agreeing with you on
Lebron needing to leave the Lakers.

Speaker 2 (01:42:39):
Oh yeah, everybody. One hundred percent of the people agree
with me. Well, I see two.

Speaker 3 (01:42:43):
Okay, you are correct about us Laker fans wanting him
gone to me cutting him will just eat fifty two
millions on the cap. Fifty two million on the cap
for one year. We'll just be mid for a year.
But I believe we'll have a lot more cap space
in twenty six, twenty seven and beyond. It's called addiction
by some traction. Bravo. I'm glad somebody explained that. The plank.

(01:43:08):
Now you can figure out.

Speaker 6 (01:43:09):
It's the dumbest thing. Brendan. I like you a lot.
You're my Guy's the dumbest thing you've ever.

Speaker 3 (01:43:13):
Said why was cut Lebron cut him and.

Speaker 6 (01:43:21):
Your team to be good?

Speaker 2 (01:43:22):
No? Why? I agree with the Spaniard poll. That's right,
people want Lebron gone. I'm telling you that.

Speaker 3 (01:43:32):
I think that I think those people are crazy. Keith right,
So Luca is actually trying to recruit quality role players
to the team. Lebron tries to assemble the adventures because
that's the only way he can win a championship.

Speaker 2 (01:43:44):
You know, Dan said to some pictures of Luca working out,
Louka better if I could. If he's working out with
the same bar bells that I'd be pulling up, he
better work out a little heavier there. What are those
fifty pounds bard bells?

Speaker 4 (01:43:55):
I can do those. Come on, it's not that.

Speaker 2 (01:43:58):
Tough, mister Nobody, he writes.

Speaker 3 (01:44:00):
Arnie's just trying to I really hate that you started
two and zero because it's led to the most arrogant
three hours I think we've ever had on this program.
Mister Nobody writes, Arnie's just trying to wish problems on
to Buffalo because he knows the Dolphins will likely get
dog walked by the Bills this year.

Speaker 2 (01:44:15):
No, that's not The Buffalo does have some problems NBA.
Sentel reported that.

Speaker 3 (01:44:22):
So Collin that I still contend that when people think
of Cincinnati, they think of w k RP and Cincinnati
more than they think of the Reds are the Bengals.

Speaker 2 (01:44:36):
I don't know about the Big Red Machine, but he
may be close about the Bengals, that's for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:44:41):
This is from JV with Arnie's most recent Stone Cold
locks considering coinciding with his move to Connecticut. Maybe Arnie
can hold camp outside of the Mohigan Son and Foxwoods
to give Novice better his winning tips.

Speaker 4 (01:44:54):
Oh that's a great idea.

Speaker 2 (01:44:55):
We could all meet down there and place beds and
have some fun and out for the night. Oh absolutely,
I could do that. I wont how many people listen
to us in Connecticut. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:45:05):
We're about to find out. And then Josh points this out.
The Colts are currently the favorite over Miami and Weekly.

Speaker 2 (01:45:11):
I don't believe that. I'm gonna have to double check
that out. I'm calling BS on you. I don't believe
that you are looking up when you're apped that you
gam I'm looking it up right now. I'm gonna look
it up right now. I'm calling BS.

Speaker 3 (01:45:21):
Well, well, you look that up. Steve Desagre comes rolling
into the Fox Sports Radio studios with one final look
at everything that's going on in the world of sports.

Speaker 13 (01:45:28):
What's up, Steve, Hello again, you mentioned Mohegan Sun. The
tribe owns the Connecticut WNBA team, and recordedly they're being sold.
When Mark Davis bought the Las Vegas team, I read
that it was for roughly two million dollars. Got a
whole franchise for about not two billion like the Clippers.
What a deal two million. This Connecticut Sun team is

(01:45:49):
being sold for three hundred and twenty five million. Selling
bought the team pending approval. At that price is going
to be a record for a women's sports franchise, and
then they're gonna move them to Boston in two years.
The team in Connecticut's never.

Speaker 2 (01:46:02):
Now hasn't been decided. They pushed back on that. By
the way, no WNBA.

Speaker 13 (01:46:07):
No, the owners said, I know that.

Speaker 2 (01:46:09):
But he says it's not. It's strictly up to owners.
Don't get the side. If they're moving there, that's depending approval.
Party Board of Governors has to say yes, we called
some minus one over the dome. I think he listens to.

Speaker 6 (01:46:19):
The show so apologize.

Speaker 2 (01:46:21):
No, you apologize.

Speaker 3 (01:46:23):
We just you're the one that's been fighting with us
all night long. But the Dolphins are the favorite, and
both Paul and I are telling you no one.

Speaker 1 (01:46:33):
You're wrong.

Speaker 13 (01:46:34):
You're wrong.

Speaker 3 (01:46:35):
I'm gonna double check that, tell him you're sorry. No,
I won't do that.

Speaker 2 (01:46:40):
Stubborn still going, I'm still going thirteen and four. Well,
let's go.

Speaker 13 (01:46:45):
I know the rest of us are just waiting for
more picks because that means more else Anyway, there hasn't
been a dedicated practice facility in Connecticut, so the new
owners are not only paying money for the team. He's
committed one hundred million dollars for a new practice place
in Boston, so there's gonna be a new site for
franchise there. The WNBA has five expansion teams starting over

(01:47:06):
the next five years, including Portland and Toronto getting WNBA
teams in a year, and each new team pays an
expansion fee at two hundred and fifty million.

Speaker 2 (01:47:14):
Good luck on that. Let me know how that works
out for you.

Speaker 13 (01:47:16):
Angel Reese not playing again. Chicago lost again. Indiana without
Caitlin Clark again, but Indiana's won five straight. New York
without Brianna Stewart again, but New York won. James Cook
Star running back Bills sat out practice today once a problems.

Speaker 2 (01:47:35):
Nobody believes me.

Speaker 13 (01:47:36):
Khalil Shakir wide receiver who was quite productive last year
week to week with a high ankle sprain, forty nine problems.
Forty nine er side veteran wide receiver Robbie chosen. But
they got the new stadium coming Buffalo. You know they're
gonna wear. There's red helmets on the last regular season
game in that place. If they don't have a home
playoff game, that's literally the last game they're going to

(01:47:58):
have in that place till they move next door. NASCAR
victory at Iowa for William Byron golf win to Cameron Young,
his first PGA career title after being runner up seven times.
In fact, the PGA says, going back to the eighteen hundreds,
this is the one thousandth unique winner in the tour's history.
This was the final tournament of the regular season PGA's

(01:48:20):
Tour Championship three weeks away. We've got playoff events the
next few weekends. By the way, a reminder of the
NFL offices in New York due to remain closed through
this week. After last Monday's shooting in the building, we're
going to get on a few different cities the joint
practices in the preseason where they actually go at it,

(01:48:41):
but not with cameras or you know, actual play by
play or anything like that. And then the coaches say afterwards, Okay,
that's good. All the starters that played today, they're not
playing this weekend. When you're watching the preseason game, that's
going to happen over and over, and I mean Matthew
Stafford's not playing against the Cowboys this week. We do
know that there's supposed to be what Cleveland game coming up.

(01:49:02):
They have joint practices with the Panthers. I will say
for preseason, Carolina has already said quarterback Bryce Young and
the starters are going to play their first two preseason games.

Speaker 2 (01:49:10):
That's right.

Speaker 13 (01:49:11):
A lot of quarterbacks of course in.

Speaker 2 (01:49:12):
Browns Carolina is one of my bigs.

Speaker 13 (01:49:15):
Rookie for Cleveland, Shador Sanders had set out the team
drills yesterday with a sore arm, and quarterback Kenny Pickettho's
with Cleveland was still limited in practice after a bad hamstring,
and Colts running back savannakhmed X of Miami, as I recall,
suffered a severe leg injury today after a hip drop tackle.
This is in practice, so this is from a teammate.

(01:49:35):
His leg was put in an air cast and he
left on a stretcher. Sunday night ballgame at Philadelphia went
to the Pills over Detroit two to Zhe Kyle Schwarber
his thirty eighth homer. Mett's lost at home twelve four
to a Giants team that had dropped thirteen of sixteen.
The Reds were losers at Bristol Motor Speedways for two
braves in Tennessee. And yeah, this is the game that

(01:49:57):
was suspended by rain Saturday night in the first inning.
Dodgers and Padres each one. They're playing each other in
a couple of weeks. Milwaukee and the Cubs each one.
Cubs won on a Justin Turner pinched to run homer
in the ninth, five to three over Baltimore. Boston won
it's fifth straight, six to one over Houston. Miami won
it's fifth straight. They had attendance this weekend there Marlins

(01:50:18):
averaged twelve thousand fans. They had thirty four thousand today
to watch him beat the Yankees again seven to three.
Obviously it's a lot of Yankee fans, but they still
accepted the cash. Kansas City and ten innings won at
Toronto seven to four, Seattle over Texas beating Jacob de
Gram five to four. Oh, speaking to the Yankees, in
case you didn't hear, the guy who's on the injured

(01:50:39):
list for the Eggs could be back this week. Aaron
Judge with the bad elbow. As soon as Tuesday, they
had sound might return back to.

Speaker 2 (01:50:47):
You, by the way, you know Ippy Birthday two.

Speaker 4 (01:50:52):
Marv Levy's one hundred.

Speaker 13 (01:50:54):
Oh, they did sing to him at.

Speaker 2 (01:50:56):
Hundred years ago. That's two coaches, one hundred, him and
Pete Carroll.

Speaker 6 (01:51:00):
It's close. It's close. He is twenty six years away.

Speaker 13 (01:51:04):
For Pete, still energetic.

Speaker 2 (01:51:07):
Barv does look good. I couldn't believe it. I saw
a picture of him. He looks great. Matter of fact.

Speaker 4 (01:51:12):
For Audred, I mean, geez.

Speaker 2 (01:51:15):
Yeah, he did.

Speaker 3 (01:51:15):
And I thought that was a pretty cool tribute that
they paid to him whenever they were all singing Happy
birthday to him during the Hall of Fame ceremony. Hey, Steve,
have a great week, buddy, Thanks appreciate it. Artie's picture
ride around the court. A couple of other quick tweets,
this one from UCLA docta Frank Vegas used to know
Arnie Spanier and his impact on the books as well.
Steak dinners were five dollars, rooms were fifteen dollars, and

(01:51:36):
Sick Freed and Roy were wowing the crowds.

Speaker 2 (01:51:39):
Was it that long ago, Yeah, it was. You know,
people were complaining that Vegas has become so expensive that
tourism has slowed down so much.

Speaker 6 (01:51:48):
Jip in big time.

Speaker 2 (01:51:49):
Yeah, and they say that leads that's one of the
reasons it's gonna be an indicator for a recession in
the United States. I really think, and I'm look, I
love going to Vegas when I meet up with my
turn brothers. We like to go there once a year
or something and just kind of hang out and just
laugh and stuff. But you know, when you're having two
slices of a pizza and a and a beer and

(01:52:10):
they charge you thirty five dollars, that's that's just gross.
That's that's horrible, and you can't do that. And sooner
or later people are gonna say, no, I'm not gonna
pay those prices. Even the fast food prices, Chris, or
even like when I went to the CVS there was
a CVS in our hotel. I mean, just the price
for like a six pack of diet coke or stuff

(01:52:32):
like that. It's just crazy, absolutely insane.

Speaker 13 (01:52:35):
It's horrible.

Speaker 3 (01:52:36):
Yeah, it's and it's not gonna get any better either.
I wish it would. No one's gonna put the toothpaste
back in the tube and say, you know what, here
at the airport we're charging too much for this, or
here at this hotel, we're charging too much for it,
or hear this casino.

Speaker 2 (01:52:49):
You don't need to do that. They food was the
one thing that they didn't have to go ahead and
gouge you on, you know what I mean, And.

Speaker 3 (01:52:57):
And I only realized they could. And it's and they're
having They're paying for it. They're paying for a big
time Colin. Colin's been on fire tonight. Need to remind you,
Arnie of the great line the Jokers said in the
Dark Night, when you're good at something, never do it
for free. So here we have the stinking genius. Your
picks aren't even a charitable donation. You need to start

(01:53:18):
getting paid for these things.

Speaker 2 (01:53:19):
I do. I don't know why. None of the gambling
people want me to have my own show. Now I
know why, because they don't want me to give out
winners after winners after winners, which is what I'm doing.
I would destroy them. Everybody would lose a whole bunch
of moneycause people would just take my picks and bet
on them.

Speaker 3 (01:53:39):
Bob, you're so confident, you should just throw it all
down right now, after that two and o week, you
need to let your buddies know that are on that
bet GM show.

Speaker 2 (01:53:49):
My wife wanted to buy a house. Now I'm like, no, no, no,
no no, We're gonna rent. Maybe in four weeks when
the preseason's done, will reevaluate. We'll buy a mansion yacht
when we're done. Baby, your wife doesn't let you bat so.
I don't know how you're gonna make this up. Im.

Speaker 4 (01:54:09):
That's from bugs Bunny by.

Speaker 6 (01:54:10):
They Yes, it is all right.

Speaker 3 (01:54:11):
So when we come back to the Fox Sports Radio studios,
according to Arnie, is what y'all came for.

Speaker 6 (01:54:16):
Tonight's all your next right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (01:54:23):
All right, final segment for us, Big Ben Mallor coming
up next. Of course, we want to thank Mary Matt
great job running the show all night tonight, Ian Roddy
awesome on the uh on the show run down, Oh,
I'm sorry, the compliment the wing Man to the Rowman
numeral rundown. Sorry, and also the great sea of the

(01:54:43):
Saga on updates, and the millions and millions of editors
behind the scenes who helped get us all the great
sound for the show tonight. I know you're fired up, Arnie,
so take it away. You got off to a good
start last week. Let's see if you can continue it.

Speaker 2 (01:54:57):
Taking it one hundred percent. Give me a little music,
put me in the mood. No, no, no, my no.
My picks deserve a little respect now, Chris, Mary, I
I need some new music. My picks deserve.

Speaker 6 (01:55:13):
Respect, Arnie, you won the I mean, are you picking.

Speaker 3 (01:55:17):
The Chargers to go to the Super Bowl and Trey
Lance to be the MVP after one game?

Speaker 2 (01:55:23):
Show a little respect to my picks? Did you know?
I'm two?

Speaker 6 (01:55:28):
And oh, Chris, I didn't catch that.

Speaker 2 (01:55:31):
I am picking at a one hundred percent Right now,
I'm gonna go out and let me say there's not
one handicapper picking better than one hundred percent that would
make me the best in the world, wouldn't it? Chris?

Speaker 9 (01:55:47):
Enjoy it, Arnie, because the second you make this pick,
it's over.

Speaker 2 (01:55:51):
I'm actually the best on the planet right now.

Speaker 6 (01:55:54):
I feel I'm glad you're not letting it get to
your head, aren't he?

Speaker 4 (01:55:57):
No, seriously, think about it.

Speaker 2 (01:55:59):
If I'm picking one hundred percent, there's nobody on this
planet or in the Solar System, as a matter of fact,
picking higher than I am. Congrats? How many people are
on this planet? I mean a couple bill maybe, so
I'm number one out of a couple bill.

Speaker 3 (01:56:21):
Let's see here, the Google AI says eight point one
four billion.

Speaker 2 (01:56:25):
So I'm number one out of eight point four to
something billion. Yeah, congrats, that's pretty good. But that's pretty good,
number one out of all those people.

Speaker 6 (01:56:35):
Well, this is a very unscientific poll.

Speaker 2 (01:56:38):
That's not unscientific.

Speaker 6 (01:56:40):
You're just pretty all.

Speaker 9 (01:56:41):
My theory now, Arenie, is you don't have any more picks,
and you're just.

Speaker 2 (01:56:47):
Love the Ravens. Love the Ravens, and I'm getting am
I getting two and a half points? That changed?

Speaker 4 (01:56:57):
Like crazy? How did that happened?

Speaker 2 (01:57:00):
I had the Ravens minus once, I'm getting two and
a half. Wow, that's crazy. Love the Ravens in that one,
and I'm taking my Raiders plus. You don't like that,
do you, Chris huh No, I don't like you Ers
the one and a half against Seattle. On Friday, I'm

(01:57:25):
taking my Carolina Panthers, as you heard Todd say, only
taking one game on there, laying the three against the
Cleveland Browns, who are a hot mess on Saturday, full day.
On Saturday, love the Bills minus two and a half
against the Giants, Love the Love Minnesota minus two and

(01:57:50):
a half against the Texans, And man, do I love
the Green Bay Packers under that three minus two and
a half against the worst team in football, the Jets. Sunday,
I have one game the Bears, the Bears minus two

(01:58:11):
and a half against my Dolphins, who don't play well
in the preseason anyway. So there you have my picks,
two of them, as you please. No longer strictly for
entertainment purposes, only seven picks. But remember I will update
the lines on Thursday, and in case I change anything
because of you know, this isn't this isn't considered you

(01:58:34):
going to the window right here today. This is what
it is. I'm going going to the window.

Speaker 6 (01:58:38):
Well, then if you're going to the window, these are your.

Speaker 4 (01:58:39):
Picks, they are my picks, right unless so, then.

Speaker 2 (01:58:44):
But if I hear, like you know, when I make
my picture of the regular season, and then I hear, oh,
Patrick Mahomes isn't playing, then I get to take that
off my list. You know what I mean?

Speaker 5 (01:58:54):
Right?

Speaker 6 (01:58:54):
But Okay, I'm not gonna fight with you over this.

Speaker 3 (01:58:56):
You say you're going to the window now, then that
means you can't change anything. On Thursday. You're placing the bet.

Speaker 2 (01:59:02):
We'll put it out on Twitter. First of all, I
don't want people placing your bets now because I don't
want Vegas not you know, paying you guys off. I
know they're talking about me and my listeners running to
the window and catch you can make it their bets
exactly at the same time, you guys need to spread
it out a little bit and wait a little bit.

(01:59:24):
So some of you make your bets Monday, some of
you make your bets Tuesday, some Wednesday, and some Thursdays.
Spread it out so I don't get in trouble.

Speaker 3 (01:59:33):
Okay, you're worried about it all coming int a one time,
Yess what Crack was talking about earlier? Bill Krakenberg being
an issue for everyone to get paid when you win.

Speaker 4 (01:59:43):
Mostly it was mentored my listeners, is what it was.

Speaker 5 (01:59:47):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:59:47):
I think we've got that over the last three hours
when all you've been doing is your elbow.

Speaker 2 (01:59:51):
Okay, tonight it is seven picks. What do you think
about seven picks? I should go seven to zero.

Speaker 3 (01:59:56):
I was worried about you hurting your arm, patting yourself
on the back as much as you have tonight. That
was my biggest concern that I had your seven picks.
Let's see you like.

Speaker 2 (02:00:05):
You're gonna hurt my arm was when I'm driving my
new boat.

Speaker 6 (02:00:08):
Right, So you get the Raiders.

Speaker 3 (02:00:10):
Plus everything's pretty much just a point or a point
and a half spread right now, anyway, right, yeah?

Speaker 4 (02:00:14):
Yeah, or two and a half, well of two and
a half's.

Speaker 3 (02:00:16):
Also, I was kind of surprised you stayed away from
the Cowboys game. I thought you'd be all over that with.

Speaker 6 (02:00:20):
The Red.

Speaker 2 (02:00:22):
Maybe I'll add it on Thursday. We'll see how things go.

Speaker 3 (02:00:25):
We'll see by the time we get to Thursday, you'll
have twelve games. You'll be picking them all. Yeah, I mean,
good luck.

Speaker 2 (02:00:32):
I was Chris, this is skill
