with the quarterbacks.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
We'll get to that.

Speaker 6 (01:14):
Brian Robinson, it was speculated that he wasn't going to
be in Washington, wasn't suited up.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
And now well now we know and a trade took place.
So we'll get to that. We got a lot to
get to, guys, but first, as always, do as we
always do before we get going, I mean, gotta hal
it up. How y'all feeling, man? How's everything going?

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Man? Things are good? Man? Coaching high school football? We
lost last night?

Speaker 1 (01:42):
We're coaching. Who y'all coaching? Where are y at?

Speaker 3 (01:45):
I'm coaching at Santa Margarita with Carson Palmer. Okay, we lost.

Speaker 8 (01:49):
Thought we lost seven to three, had two touchdowns called back,
both guys in the open that refs call holding.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
You know me, man, I was ready to lose my mind.
Do the news.

Speaker 8 (01:59):
Committed four penn these and three of them were twelve
men on the field. I said, they playing a perfect game.
Rep aside from having twelve guys on the field, they've
played a perfect game. All right, I got these high
school You know what, when professional reps are bad, what
you expect the high school reps to be worse. But
you know what's crazy. Got a little rain early this morning,
but now it's looking like it's about to be clear.

(02:20):
Skies and palm trees. I don't know what's going on
out here, man. But other than that, man, we are good.
I was waiting for your report.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Yeah, I get the way. I'm not there, so I
can't co sign in one way or the other. I'm
in Pittsburgh right now.

Speaker 8 (02:34):
He it was it was raining this morning. I was like, wait,
but now at the sun. It's been extremely hot out
here lately.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Though.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
It was Yeah, right before I left, it got real
hot out.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
Burning, like, yeah, it's been really really hot.

Speaker 8 (02:48):
Man.

Speaker 7 (02:48):
But man, everything is good, man, everything's lovely here. Man's
beautiful Saturday. Man, Hey, the sun's out. Not a cloud
in the sky looking for to you know, a continuing
a beautiful weekend, A week away from college football. Well,

(03:08):
Kansas State and Iowa State playing today, but next year
college I mean they playing at Ireland. But I guess. Man, exciting, man, blessed,
happy man. That's all I can say.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Well, let's get into it.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
You know it is week zero.

Speaker 6 (03:23):
You got Iowa State versus Kansas State twenty two. Iowa
State's right twenty two, Kansas State's ranking seventeen. That's at
twelve pm on ESPN. They'll be playing. As you mentioned
in Dublin. You got ui W versus Nichols. You got
Idaho State versus UNLV. You got Tarlart Tarleton, Tarleton State

(03:45):
versus Portland State, Presno State at Kansas, UC Davis versus Mercer,
SAM Houston, Western, Kentucky and Stanford are playing against.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
The Rainbow Warriors of Hawaii. And you got North.

Speaker 6 (04:00):
Carolina, Central and Southern all tonight's slate of games. Now,
while I will say this, I did no prep work
on these teams, and I did no no type of
real deep dive on them.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
I just looked at this as more so.

Speaker 6 (04:15):
You know what, it's great that football is back and
we're in weak zero, and for what it's worth, no
shade to these schools and to them, but.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
That's probably why they calling it week zero.

Speaker 6 (04:27):
Look what are y'all's expectations this year in college football?
I know, Plex, you probably have a more vested interest
in paying attention to college football this season.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
TJ.

Speaker 6 (04:42):
I'm you know, I'm not sure what your angle is
is is it because I don't know that you really
gung ho about the Beavers. I don't know if that's
really if you really mob with your school like that,
But what are y'all expecting this year. Who y'all high
on or do y'all got somebody that y'all really love,
you know, team wise or player wise?

Speaker 3 (05:00):
What like?

Speaker 1 (05:01):
What is this season representing to you guys?

Speaker 7 (05:10):
For me, man, moving forward is just you know, I'm
taking on a whole new, uh you know, aspect of
college football being that my son will be playing at
Notre Dame. So uh, I'm not gonna lie. I've never
been a real fan of not the Dame because of
the obvious Obviously, I went to Michigan State. We had

(05:31):
a real big rivalry when I was playing, and that
rivalry will be uh take place starting next year. Michigan
State will be going to South Bend. But you know,
just you know, paying morching into the schedule, looking at
the top ranked teams. Obviously you guys are there. I
think Penn State is ranked two or three right now.

(05:53):
So I'm really interested in this whole Texas thing because
you know, everybody.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Is so high up on arch Manning for the obvious reason.

Speaker 7 (06:06):
But they have him, like, I guess, predicted to win
the Heisman Trophy, y'all all, and he hasn't even started
a college football game. So those are some of the
dynamics that I'm just you know, paying attention to. Obviously,
he started last year, George is going to be there,
but his first full year being a starter.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
The first full year of being a start, that is correct,
That is right.

Speaker 7 (06:28):
It's gonna be his first full year being a starter,
and he's already predicted to winning the Heisman and to
win the national championship. So that's that's something that I
don't think I've ever seen in college football.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
To start the season.

Speaker 7 (06:45):
Obviously, Georgia, Penn State and you know this whole twenty
fourteen with the Big Ten and all of these things.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
I don't know how that's going to happen.

Speaker 7 (06:55):
But I think it's gonna be a very interesting college
football season for me because obviously I'll be traveling every weekend,
you know, places I've never been the Fayetteville, Arkansas and
going to Stanford and and all these different venues. Man,
So you know, so I'm excited to say the list.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
Man.

Speaker 8 (07:18):
Once college football, I'm just a fan of football. I'm
a fan of sports in general. So once football comes around,
like I'm playing my day around. If it's some good
games college football, y'all can leave staying home. That's that's
my motto. Saturday and Sunday some good games coming up.
Like you, and you look around the college football landscape.

(07:39):
You look at teams that like Texas, really great team,
it's unknown at quarterback. We think he's gonna be great,
but we don't know. You look at team like LSU
quarterback that potentially can be the first pick in new
smart with a great team around them. And you look
at Bama, can they rebound the powerhouses? You look at Georgia,
Howard they gonna be and so you just start looking

(08:01):
at Ohio State a new starter, but Ohio State has
been like a machine. They lose guys. The guys that
come in they all play well. You look at schools
like Organs. You look at Penn State. Penn State has
national championship aspirations, and you see these talking heads on
television say that James Franklin can't coach, He's gonna ruin
it type stuff. So college football is probably in its

(08:27):
best place it's ever been, and it's only going to
continue to get better. My nephew will be there next year,
so I'm gonna be tuned in even more.

Speaker 6 (08:37):
I'll say this, And looking at you know, you gotta
throw in Lenor's obviously from from South Carolina, North Carolina.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
Beasts of a football player.

Speaker 6 (08:50):
When I look at the when I look at coming
into this season, what it looks like, I think there
was a lot of excitement created and generated by the
playoff last year.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
I really do. I think it made the season better
for me. It's how I felt.

Speaker 6 (09:06):
And just being able to be a part of the
playoff in the inaugural year of it being implemented, and
seeing a home game at Beaver Stadium against SMU and
seeing all of of just the pageantry that surrounded at
me and plex got an opportunity to do the Notre
Dame Penn State game at the Orange Bowl, which was
a really, really great experience. It had a great time there,

(09:30):
seeing the competition, like the fact that Arizona State almost
knocked off Texas, almost had it, you know, and seeing
Michigan beat Ohio State at the end of the year
and Oregon beating them earlier in the year, and yet
Ohio State came back into the playoffs and just showed
like we turning it on right now, and our turned

(09:53):
on is way more than everybody else's turned on. I'm
just really curious coming out of of how competitive, how
exciting the playoff made last year, how it looked, and
now with all the whole nil and everything like that
continuing to develop, what is this season going to look like?

(10:16):
Is arch Manning going to live up to it? Or
is there going to be somebody there generally is somebody
that pops up that challenges what the what the established
is seemingly going to be. I wonder if if there's
you know, it could be Drew Aler at Penn State,
it could be a quarterback out of different you know,

(10:37):
at a different spot. We saw Notre Dame, you know,
decided who their starting quarterback is going to be. And
it's a young boy that one job, you know. So
there are so many interesting storylines I believe that are
going to play out. You know, can Alabama get back
to where they were, you know, at the post Sabing era.

(11:02):
Can Oregon be as good as they were last year?
Because I thought Oregon was, I mean I gotta say,
I mean, you said that somebody was going to be
really good from the pack that came into the Ten.
They ended up coming in and winning the Big Ten
in their first season in there. They can they build

(11:22):
on that? Can Dan Lanning do what he needs to
do for the team to build off on that momentum
of a start in the Big Ten. I just think
there's so many great storylines. Obviously, the Michigan deal, there's
a lot of, you know, conversation about that. I probably,
I don't know, maybe we might touch on that because

(11:43):
I got I mean, I feel like, even though you know,
the signs stilling Gate was earlier in the year, or
so to speak, was cut off at a certain point,
a lot of people feel as though Michigan did not
get as harsh a penalty as that he should have gotten.
Shout there, should that, should that national title be vacated?

(12:06):
You know, that's a conversation that's taking place.

Speaker 8 (12:08):
Everybody want to hate on Michigan. They beat everybody on
the field. These people need to They beat everybody.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
They did.

Speaker 8 (12:14):
They smacked everybody on the field. They doing what everybody
else was doing. They just got caught, that's.

Speaker 3 (12:20):
All it is.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Like that, that's a major part of it.

Speaker 8 (12:25):
What they had somebody stealing. They had somebody stealing signs.
You think they were the only team stealing signs. I'm
a venture to say absolutely not.

Speaker 6 (12:36):
DJ just like that my boy got caught that somehow,
some way, he gets caught with a recruiting violation. They
get this man like a what six eight year ban
from from from college suspension?

Speaker 1 (12:48):
Like come on, man, like you know what I mean
just because a.

Speaker 6 (12:52):
Burger or you know, you took him to some raisin gains,
like eight years you out of there, like come on, man,
like I get it, But god.

Speaker 8 (13:01):
Hey, why do they have to listen to the NCAA.
The NCAA is like, they're useless now. They it's getting
it going to useless Like I'm not, I'm not listening
to them.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
Get out of here.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
That's an interesting I think they're useless now.

Speaker 8 (13:18):
The SEC in the Big Ten they run college football.
They don't need the NC double A, they don't need them.
They run it. Oh we're gonna play We're gonna do this,
we're gonna do that. This is what the College Football
Playoffs is gonna do this. NCAA is not setting these rules.
Those two conferences are because those are the two best
conferences in college football. They're setting all the rules. They

(13:40):
no longer need the NC double AM.

Speaker 6 (13:43):
Well, I'll say this, it's going to be a very
very interesting year. I think everybody needs to buckle up
because there's gonna be a lot of really really good
games to watch, a lot of great storylines that are
going to play out, and you know what, we're gonna
be here to talk about it.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
Some of us will be here, you know some at
some point. I know I'm gonna be off at some point.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
I know, TJ.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
You going to have what you got going on in Plexus.
I know you gonna have what you got going on.

Speaker 6 (14:09):
But just know this, there's always gonna be somebody on
this time slide that's gonna knock down the topics that
come up, all right, And speaking of knocking down topics,
there was a topic that hit last week. Dylan Gabriel
was talking about being a competitor versus being an entertainer.
Some people took it and tried to run with it,
make it into a thing. Shador Sanders, obviously being the

(14:29):
recipient of people trying to speculate what it meant, he
had a response to it. We're gonna play it and
we're gonna react to it. On the other side of
the break, you're listening to up on game this is

Speaker 1 (16:04):
Okay, so let's talk about it.

Speaker 6 (16:07):
Dylan Gabriel had some interesting comments. He basically told the media,
you know, I'm too busy being a competitor and I'm
not being an entertainer, you know, and there's a difference.
And once people push back on it and kind of
made the assumption and the assessment that he might have
been throwing shade shooting it at Shador Sanders, well, Dylan

(16:28):
Gabriel came back and told them, no, I'm talking to
you the media, and what you have to say about it,
I don't know. I don't know if I talk to
you guys about getting the sound.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
On this bow in sound.

Speaker 6 (16:39):
But Shador did have a response to being asked about
what took place, and well, hopefully when I say this,
we're gonna hear it.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
Here's what he had to say.

Speaker 3 (16:52):
Words or anything. You know, at this point, can't do
anything to me.

Speaker 10 (16:56):
You know, I know you know that God put the
ability into power within me to not think about nobody
else comments, not care, it is what it is. I
spoke with him. He said, nah, bro, it wasn't. He said,
that wasn't he told me on the plane he came up.
He was like, nah, bro, that wasn't at you. I
see how he's trying to spare I'm like, oh, I
I'm not truer regardless of whatever it was, nobody's words
or anything affects me.

Speaker 6 (17:18):
And hearing that fellas like a lot of people did
assume that. I'm not gonna assume. I say that there
is I will say that there is history where Dan
Lanning and that was not the year Dylan Gabriel was
at Orgon, by the way, but if y'all recalled the
first year of Colorado playing Oregon, uh, Dan Lanning had

(17:39):
his comment and his his his pregame speeches, comments in
the locker room that were really directed. You know, they're entertainers.
You know they're out for clicks and this is football
or whatever it is he had to say. But Dan
Lanning told the Oregon Ducks, We're not playing that type
of game and We're gonna go put foot the ass
to Colorado and show people what football is versus what

(18:02):
a show is. And and that was the first thing
that I connected to I'm a competitor, not an entertainer.
I will say that, but I didn't judge it that way.
I just I you know, I just took it.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
Come on to you, guys, you know exactly what it is.
That's exactly what he said, was what he meant. And
then he.

Speaker 7 (18:26):
From the story that I understand he approached your Door
on the plane, he said, no, bro, that wasn't for you.
But if you go back and you look at the
interview and the heat of the moment, he had a
pretty good showing in the preseason game, and he threw
that out to the media basically saying that, you know what,
I'm not an entertainer or I'm a competitor. That's exactly

(18:49):
what it is. And you can't dumb it down to
any other thing more than that. Just keep it g
and be like, no, that's exactly what he was im playing.
And man, listen, the way that your Door has conducted himselves, Man,
it has been nothing but straight class.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
Because me, it would have been some smoke that's just
that's just what it is.

Speaker 7 (19:12):
But I'm telling you, moving forward, I really don't think
that your Door and Dylan Gabriel will be able to
coexist moving forward to the same quarterback room because it's
fake and you you know what it is as a player,
and it's the it's the it's the craziest situation with
this whole uh you know, quarterback room in Cleveland. You

(19:36):
got Joe Flacco, you got Kenny Pickett, he's hurt. You
got Dylan Gabriel, you got your door right now, you
got you got uh Tyler Huntley. I don't I don't
think I've ever Dshaun Washington. I don't think I've ever
seen a quarterback room like this in my whole entire
career of football. So something has to happen because one
of these guys is going to be the backup and

(19:58):
one of these guys is gonna be the practice squad quarterback,
and they're not going to be happy about it either way.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
You draft Dylan Gabriel in.

Speaker 7 (20:06):
The third round ahead of your Door, and now he's
probably going to be the better quarterback of the two.
And I believe that eventually this season he will be
a starting quarterback at some point in time. But I
really do believe that whatever happens moving forward, I don't
think these guys are really you know, going to you know,

(20:30):
be able to work together moving forward in this quarterback room.

Speaker 8 (20:36):
It's it's gonna be interesting. I don't know Shad, never
met him. I know Dylan Gabriel, I met him, spent some.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
Time with him.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
Super humble dude.

Speaker 8 (20:50):
I don't believe that comment was directed at shr Dere
but I get how many would assume that's the case,
because you know, you come in.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
Who is he called it? Entertainers? Entertainers.

Speaker 8 (21:07):
I believe he's talking about the people that are entertaining
up like us, entertaining the masses by trying to pick
them against each other, entertaining people by being on podcasts
and TV and trying to pick them against each other.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
I believe what does what does that have to do
with him competing for a starting.

Speaker 8 (21:28):
Position, because he's saying himself, Sad, Joe Flacco, the Cleveland
Browns in general, we're competitors.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
We're competing y'all.

Speaker 8 (21:39):
The people that are asking him these questions, you guys
are entertainers, because you guys are entertaining that that's how,
that's how.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
When you look at it, it's like, okay, because I
just don't believe.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
I just think it's convenient.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
I don't believe. I don't. I just don't trying to.

Speaker 8 (21:56):
I don't believe he would make that statement about Shadar
because knowing dyln't Gabriel, He's not that type of persons.
If you if you know him, he's not that type
of person.

Speaker 3 (22:08):
He's super cool, super humble dude, and so he's not
gonna do that to his teammate.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
I don't that.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
That's the.

Speaker 7 (22:20):
Guys are entertainers and some guys are competitors.

Speaker 8 (22:24):
That's the only reason that I give him a pass
because I know him, I spent time with him, I've
been around you.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
You're biased because you know no, no, I'm not when
it comes to that, I don't care who you are.
I'm not. We don't come on this show and do that.

Speaker 8 (22:37):
I'm not gonna be biased if I feel, if you
gonna feel, we're gonna keep it the buck. One thing
I'm not gonna do is be boasued. And you know
when I'm gonna be biased, I'm gonna tell you ahead
of time. I'm gonna be biased, but I'm not. I
just don't feel like he would do that just knowing
who he is is a person. But if I'm wrong,
I'm wrong. I just I don't see that competing. And

(22:59):
you can tell in this competition that they don't want
Shadir to win it. At least it feels that way.
It seems that way from the outside looking in. But
just the beautiful thing about sports, your play gonna dictate
and speak for yourself. And so today's game, like you

(23:19):
really think they care about a preseason game, they care
about this one because you just want to see what
it's gonna be. And so, yeah, Kenny Pikett, I believe
Kenny Pigkett, Tyler Hunty, them two dudes gonna get released.

Speaker 3 (23:32):
They gonna get released.

Speaker 8 (23:34):
Shader's played very good football in the limited preseason game
that he played in Dylan Gabriel, He's played very good football.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
And so that situation to me is two young guys.

Speaker 8 (23:45):
They didn't they didn't choose to get drafted in the
situation they got drafted to. The Cleveland Browns did that.
So the Cleveland Browns need to be able to navigate
and handle it. The correct way, because they put themselves
in this position. Nobody but them. Yeah, all right here,
because let.

Speaker 6 (24:03):
Me give y'all, let me give y'all another. Let's let's
take another swing at it before we go to I
Loo and get get an update. All right, kikawala adity,
kinka wala, kinkawala. I think I got it right. You
gave us some fabulous wisdom on how you tune out
the noise and don't let it infiltrate yourself. Will you

(24:27):
share that with everybody at home? Gabriel's response, Yeah, it's
just part of it. You know, there's entertainers and there's competitors,
and I totally understand that. But my job is to compete,
and that's what I'm focused on.

Speaker 7 (24:49):
I don't you know, after hearing that quote, you really
think that he's talking about the media.

Speaker 8 (24:55):
He's talking about people I believe that are trying to
pick them against each other.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
I truly believe that, I really do.

Speaker 8 (25:03):
If you spend some time around him, you'll be like, ah,
unless him being around me, he's been a different person
than he is now, and I don't believe you can
change who you are.

Speaker 3 (25:15):
That fast.

Speaker 8 (25:16):
That's that's just me but again, I gotta say I've
been around the gable for the last couple of years
a lot.

Speaker 6 (25:23):
Here's what I say about it. Here's what I say
about it, TJ. If you're right, it was poor it
was poor timing and and and that's the bottom line.
And knowing who you're competing against as backups, not not
for the starting job. Knowing who you're competing against in
terms of it should be.

Speaker 8 (25:43):
It should be the starting job. Let's just be honest.
It should be. You're looking for your quarterback of the future.
You're you're not using a rental QB.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
That's I get that. But in that moment, you said
it in a way where you're like a DD said
the noise, the noise, the noise.

Speaker 6 (26:04):
He's basically saying, look, I'm too busy competing to deal
with the noise. Like, let the entertainers entertain the noise.
Let the entertainers be a part of that noise. Me,
I'm too busy competing. That's my take on it. That's
my take on it. And to me, that seems like
that's a shot. That's a shade shot, that's a shade grenade.

(26:28):
That was Now that I'm really like thinking about it
because I don't really want to take a side on it,
but TJ, it does really kind of come across as
a shake grenade.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
It does. First of all, your a third round pick.

Speaker 7 (26:41):
Your job is, just like you said, is going to
compete and can continue to get better as a quarterback.
So why are you going on TV doing an interview
talking about the media. The media shouldn't have to have

(27:03):
to do nothing with what you're doing as a player
as a rookie, first of all, trying to make the team,
as trying to be a starting quarterback or football team.
So it makes no sense to me why he's saying
they are entertainers and competitors.

Speaker 6 (27:23):
It was he was making a differentiation from himself from
something else exactly.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
I mean, that's just the bottom line of it. He
was differentiating himself.

Speaker 3 (27:31):
It is what it is.

Speaker 6 (27:32):
But you know what, They're both going to have their
opportunity to continue to try to prove themselves. So it's
going to be interesting to see somebody else who has
proven themselves well. It seems as though things are getting
messier and messier by the moment, but we're going to
talk about that in a matter of seconds. Let's get
an update from our guy, Isaac Glohingkrawn. You know his

(27:53):
body of work is solid too, and it seems like
he's doing well for.

Speaker 3 (28:00):
Entertainer.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
Ilo. Are you a competitor or an entertainer, Sir?

Speaker 11 (28:06):
I'm both of those and I'm also a lover and
I'll leave it at that.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
Send you that package, Bluetoo baby hit me up anyway.
By the way, I love that term shade grenade, save grenade.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
Man.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
That's good.

Speaker 3 (28:22):
You get that.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
You better.

Speaker 6 (28:23):
You only got to get it in the area, you
know what I mean. Like, once that thing blow up,
you throw that shade grenade. Like all that shade just
start covering a whole lot of air, a whole lot
of scrap shade, you know what I mean.

Speaker 11 (28:34):
You gotta be strategic. As are We have actually live
audio of that going on. As are the twenty second
round Iowa State Cyclones, because with the college football season
officially underway at Dublin, they have just taken a seven
to nothing lead over seventeenth ranked Kansas State moments ago
out of fifteen yard touchdown pass from Rocko Becked to

(28:56):
Brett as Kildson.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
The extra point was It's good.

Speaker 11 (29:00):
So Iowa State now up seven to nothing over Kansas
State with three minutes and twenty six seconds left to
play in the first quarter. It was actually the second
scoring opportunity for Iowa State. Five minutes in. They had
a first down in goal at the Kansas State eight
yard line, but wound up fumbling the ball in a
goal to go situation, but again on a Rocko Beck
touchdown pass. They have just taken a seven nothing lead

(29:22):
over seventeenth rank Kansas State in Doublin in the first
game of the twenty twenty five college football season. We
also have an NFL preseason game going on right now.
The Baltimore Ravens up seven to nothing over the Washington
Commanders thirteen seconds in the second quilder. That's right on
a nine yard touchdown run by rasheen Ah Lee of
the Ravens. Cooper Rush starting a quarterback for Baltimore, four

(29:43):
out of four four thirty seven yards, Sam Hartman four
out of five for eleven yards for the Commanders. Meanwhile,
in Major League Baseball on Friday night, the San Diego
Padres defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers two to one, so
they are now tied for first place in the National
League West at seventy three and fifty six.

Speaker 1 (30:00):
Guys, all yours appreciate it? Iye lo, all right, so
let's get to it.

Speaker 6 (30:04):
Jerry Jones, he had some interesting things to say about
Michael Parson's agent and how he got involved. This came
via Michael Irving's YT I think it's called YT podcast
or whatever something.

Speaker 3 (30:17):
What is it?

Speaker 1 (30:18):
Do we know what it is? It's Mike Irvans podcast.
Here's what what Terry Jones had to say.

Speaker 4 (30:25):
We wanted to send the details to the agent. The
agent soldiers to Bepperd asked. Mike and I talked, and
then we were going to send it over to the
agent and we had our agreements on term amun, guarantees, everything.
We were going to send it over to the agent
and the agent said, don't bother because we've got all

(30:47):
that to negotiate. Well, we've got this theory resolved in
my mind for the dollars cowboys, and we've got it done.
And if the agent wants to finish up the details,
which should and know we're ready to go. But as
far as the amount of money, the years, the guarantees,
all of that we negotiate.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
Do you believe this, and why if this is what
it is.

Speaker 6 (31:15):
I feel like, why would Michael Parsons be reacting the
way that he's reacting If this were true that he
and Jerry Jones were on the same page about a deal.
I know, Micah, he would not be be having a
problem with Dallas and what's going on. He would be,

(31:36):
you know, a contract would be done if this, to me,
If what Jerry Jones is saying is true, this deal
would be done. This reeks of personal pride and something
somebody's feelings got hurt, most likely Jerry. He was offended
or or taken aback by something that was said to

(31:56):
him and how it was done. And this is now
personal and I think that this is a David Mullagata
and Jerry Jones thing, and Michael Parsons is becoming collateral
damage to a personal situation that is developing.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
What say you guys, flex go ahead, I'm gonna finish.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
Yeah, you know, because David, this whole thing, this whole
thing is personal.

Speaker 7 (32:20):
It has come down to egos, That's exactly what it is.
And the whole rhetoric of this thing is changing day
by day and they're trying to paint Michael Parsons as
the bad guy, and all I can hear everybody saying
is now, well, he's still under contract. Yeah, we still

(32:44):
he still has one more year on his contract. But
that's not what it's all about. This man is one
of the best young players in all of the football.
There's no debating that. But Jerry Jones has stated that listen,
Michael Parsons is is one of the most intelligent football
players that I've ever been around. So he knows what

(33:06):
he should be paid. But now Michael Parson has been
so vocal about it, Jeorge Jones feel like he's being violated.
So he's like, you're not just going to do this
and say these things about me and what you want
and how much money you want me to pay you.
I'm going to pay you when I want to pay you.

(33:27):
And just like you said, it has become personal now,
the pride and the ego, all of those things out
the door. The man is sleeping on a training table
at the football game. That's not a good look. He's
walking into the plaz he nachos. I say, not jo cheese.

(33:48):
He not gave you your cheese. So man, it's sloppy
I hated for Michael. I really do believe wholeheartedly that
this young man is really sincere about his actions and
if he doesn't does not receive a contract by opening day,

(34:09):
I do believe that this this Horrison, this Harrisburg bully,
he will not be stepping on a football field on
opening day if Jerry Jones does not give this man he.

Speaker 6 (34:21):
Sat out a season before that people need to keep
that in mind. You think that this man won't sit
out a season, he sat out the COVID year.

Speaker 7 (34:29):
I'm telling you it's stinks and he is not going
to bend over. He would not play football for the
Dallas Cowboys if he does does not get the contract
that he wants.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
You got the last word, TJ. One minute.

Speaker 8 (34:44):
This is what I don't understand is why is Jerry
Jones doing this to your best player? Because when Michael
Parsons is on the field, the Cowboys had the best
defense in the league, and when he's not, they have
the worst. I'm not lying, go look it up. It's
that black and white. They are the best when he's
on the field, they are the worst when he isn't.
Why are you doing this to a young player that

(35:06):
has done so much for your organization, is going to
continue to do more.

Speaker 3 (35:11):
Why are you doing it?

Speaker 8 (35:13):
If you have a problem with his agent, get on
the phone with his agent and talk it out as men.
Because the stick it up your ass comment, Dave, don't
talk like that. I'm texting with Dave right now, right
now as we speak, we're texting, and he was like, Bro,
I don't speak like that.

Speaker 3 (35:28):
I don't even use those words.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
It doesn't seem like his person.

Speaker 6 (35:32):
He seems more far, more like subdued, like more more
soft spoken than to say shove that, shove it up
your ass like that's I don't know the dude's job,
not even a big fan, but I'm just saying I
fear is fear, and right is right.

Speaker 1 (35:48):
It doesn't seem like that. And he did decline comment
when he was asked about it. It's his job, he
did decline the comment.

Speaker 8 (35:56):
It's his job to get Mike at the best deal possible,
and it's Jerry's job to get Micah to take a
lesser deal.

Speaker 3 (36:01):
That's just what it is.

Speaker 8 (36:02):
And so, Jerry Jones, you should not be upset that
David mull Lagetta is doing his best to maximize every
dollar that Michael Parsons can get. We believe Michael Parsons
will get another contract, but we don't know.

Speaker 3 (36:16):
That to be certain.

Speaker 8 (36:17):
So if that's the case, it's his job to give
him the best deal possible. You should not be mad
at this man for that or about that. And why
are you doing this to your best player? Because I
don't care what happens. Michael will never look at Jerry
Jones and the Cowboys the same. Give him all the
money in the world. The damage has been done and

(36:39):
we all know that as being former players. When they
pitch you off like this to this magnitude, Yes, I
don't understand, Like why that, to me is the biggest
reason to bring the biggest question.

Speaker 3 (36:56):
Why.

Speaker 6 (36:57):
Well, I guess it's gonna play out, and we're gonna
find out, and then it's gonna happen pretty soon.

Speaker 1 (37:01):
I'm certain of that. This is up on game. That's
dj hdchman Zada.

Speaker 3 (37:05):
You just heard.

Speaker 6 (37:05):
It's Plexico Burst. I'm LeVar Anyton. We're gonna take a
quick break. On the other side of the break, there
was a trade in the NFL, big one, seemingly considerably.
We'll talk about on the other side, the FS one
Fox h fs R. Excuse me, Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (37:21):
Now Brady steps away.

Speaker 9 (37:24):
First and ten from the twenty three at the cats
Beck from the shotgun, here comes crush right throws.

Speaker 7 (37:30):
For the end til right time, tous down top.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
Over all right, that was quarterback Avery Johnson for KSU.
Oh my bad, I s U. Avery Johnson's just scored?
All right? Who was that doubt?

Speaker 6 (37:49):
Just John Walters? I mean wait, that's John Walters on
the on the call. But Iowa State scored. That was
the Alowa State touchdown? Yes, can't? They just tied it up?
There we go all right, there we go way to
Butcher coming back out of the break. LeVar, that's all right,
we got we got a segment to get it right.

(38:10):
And speaking of getting it right, we are up on
gay as T. J. Hodsmons out of Plexico burs I
am LeVar Rington the one that just gaffed it on up.

Speaker 1 (38:19):
But that's all right.

Speaker 6 (38:20):
Uh yeah, we're gonna talk about something else that could
be a gaff but may not be a gas.

Speaker 3 (38:25):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (38:26):
You guys tell me. We got a trade that takes
place with the Washington Commanders. They trade Brian Robinson Junior
to San Francisco because there's concerns about Christian McCaffrey. Now,
is this a good move for the Commanders And does
this suffice what they're trying to do in San Francisco

(38:49):
by bringing him in as an insurance policy.

Speaker 8 (38:52):
I'm not giving up who was a starter on my
team for a six round pick. If I'm the Commanders,
that's me. If you are the forty nine Ers, it's
a great deal because Brian Robinson has had a lot
of success in the league in his young career. He
can get shot, get shot as a ricky comeback plays well.
But Christian McCaffrey was hurt last year and if he

(39:13):
goes down, now the forty nine ers have a back
that they know they can turn around and have the
ball off to when he can get it done. Not
only that, if McCaffrey doesn't get hurt, he's gonna be
a nice change of pays back. He gonna get you
four yards in that offense with Shanahan, I wouldn't be
surprised if this dude just went crazy and everybody really
would be saying, why did they trade him? Why did

(39:33):
they trade him? And so these are the type of
moves that Shanahan and John Lynch. Makes kind of goes
under the radar a little bit, and then once the
season starts.

Speaker 3 (39:41):
You like, wow, that was a great trade. I mean,
I like if a San Francisco.

Speaker 7 (39:45):
I think it obviously gives the forty nine ers a
little more depth at a running back position because himc
it is not what he was three or four years ago.
Can't seem to say healthy, but I really do believe
that it. I want to try to implement him into
this offense as they use Deebo Samuels, you know, you know,

(40:07):
get him in the backfield, get him in space, put
them at wide receivers, some of these different positions.

Speaker 3 (40:13):
But I love it for San Francisco.

Speaker 7 (40:15):
But just like TJ said, if I'm Washington, I wouldn't
let him walk out of the door either.

Speaker 1 (40:20):
You let Brian Robinson go. McLaurin still isn't signed.

Speaker 6 (40:24):
Not sure what Washington is thinking or what they're planning
on doing, but hey, you know, the season comes and
that's the beauty of sports.

Speaker 1 (40:31):
You get a chance to see it. So hey, this
is our one. It's coming to an end.

Speaker 3 (40:35):
Hour two, it's right ahead.

Speaker 1 (40:36):
It's FOT Sports Radio.
