Speaker 1 (00:05):
This is straight fire with Jason McIntyre. Well, what is up?
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Straight?
Speaker 3 (00:13):
It's me Jason McIntyre straight for a year? Or Tuesday,
August the twenty sixth, rob g in The Place to
Be and I listen, I say this topic, You're going
to fire it yesterday, but I wanted to save it,
refine it a little bit because it's a dangerous topic.
And I like wading into dangerous topics, but they also
(00:35):
come with major land mines. And you know, listen, man,
you don't want to say anything to get canceled. I
don't like the cancel culture at all. But this whole
Bill Belichick, who is now seventy three dating a twenty
four year old beauty pageant runner up who was a
college cheerleader and I believe went to cosmatology school, And
(00:58):
all of a sudden, Bill Belichick is taking that as
if it's Oh my gosh. She says we should do
a TV show. I guess I should do a TV show.
And now he's going to do this Hulu thing, and
I'm like, I just don't understand in any way, shape
or form why Belichick would listen to her. So on
(01:19):
some level, I get it, right, Belichick met this girl,
they hit it off. He's kind of going through, if
you want to call it, a midlife crisis. You've got
people in his family in a circle concerned about him,
and now he's diving into TV. This is a Bill
Belichick who for at least two decades did not like
(01:41):
the media, did not like the cameras in Foxborough. Now
he did like Spygate, but that's another podcast episode. So essentially,
you've got this young girlfriend saying maybe to Bill, Hey, Bill,
why don't you do a reboot, why don't you rebrand
as You're not the old with holes in his hoodie,
(02:02):
You're the young guy going to a college campus to
get North Carolina finally to the promised land over the Hump.
You can do it, Bill, And oh, by the way,
you've got me by your side, And it just reeks
of she and this is where I'm I'm I gotta
choose my words carefully. It reeks of she is trying
(02:26):
to reach the heights that she kind of maxed out
at Cheerleader pageant runner up. But if I can get
on a reality show and I can be the brains
behind North Carolina, what's my future? What's my I'm only
twenty four years old. Why can't the sky be the
limit for me? Maybe I could be an actress. I
(02:46):
don't know what her agenda is, Rob, but I'm I'm
not in the I'm concerned for Belichick. I just don't
get why he would listen to this twenty four year
old who seems to be calling the shots. They had
Hard Knocks locked down on HBO, and all of a
sudden it was like, no, no, no, not gonna happen.
Too much weirdness. I don't know whatever. I don't know
(03:09):
the official line as to why that unfolded. But now
it's like, Okay, we're gonna do Hulu and Rob. I'm
not painting her as the bad guy at all. I
don't know her at all. By the way, have you
found any video of her actually speaking sentences or anything.
I haven't seen any. It's just pictures and her doing
yoga on the beach with Belichick. What's going on, Rob,
(03:30):
I'm fascinated. I know Texas, Ohio State is awesome this weekend,
and Notre Dame Miami, and I think it's LSU, Clemson
and North Carolina places at some point, and it's like,
I gotta watch that game, because you know, the cameras
are gonna look for Jordan Hudson everywhere, and I don't
know what. Maybe she's gonna want to do a sideline
(03:51):
interview for ad halftime. I have no idea, Rob Well.
Speaker 4 (03:55):
I think the phrasing you were looking for with the
reporting about why the HBO Hard Knocks deal for all
apart was quote creative concerns.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Oh yeah, where does that come from? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Exactly, so all involving Jordan Hudson.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
You know what's funny about this whole situation is on Saturday,
before this became official, well with leaked down on Sunday
and then official on Monday, But on Saturday night, Jordan
Hudson hinted at it with a photo of Bill Belichick
on her Instagram story with the Taylor Swift song Look
what You made Me do?
Speaker 2 (04:24):
With the video showing cameras at the tar Hill football practice.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
Okay, so as much crap as I've given mikeah Parsons
for his social media Twitter fingers, Kevin Durant Lebron James
with a passive aggressive at least I can say that
those three individuals are directly involved with what's happening right
If Lebron puts out a weird Arthur fist emoji thingy, whatever,
it's because he's frustrated.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
About something going on with the Lakers. If Michaeh.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
Parsons scrubs his social media, it's because he's frustrated with
the Dallas Cowboys. Jordan Hudson has absolutely nothing to do
with Carolina Football.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
Zero.
Speaker 4 (04:59):
She is the girlfriend of the coach, the coach who,
lest we forget, according to multiple outlets and all your
favorite gambling people, is expected to finish what is this
eighth in the acc So why is it that she
has suddenly become a person of interest in the sports
media world. And a lot of it stems back to,
(05:20):
as you mentioned, Bill Belichick having this can you call
it a midlife crisis when you're in your late seventies, like,
you know what, late life crisis?
Speaker 2 (05:29):
Whatever?
Speaker 4 (05:30):
It is that he couldn't just accept the fact that
the NFL had moved off of him, that his time
had come and went and it was a glorious time, right,
the greatest coach in NFL history, And instead of riding
off into the sunset on his little boat, I think
it's called seven Rings or whatever it is, and enjoy
being a millionaire and having this beautiful, young, very attractive girlfriend.
(05:51):
He decides that he's got to go ahead and go
to North Carolina, of all places, North Carolina, come on
and raise up, try to win some football games with
the team that is at best and also ran in
and also ran conference.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Like, what are we doing here?
Speaker 4 (06:08):
We've had plenty of gamblers on here pounding the under
on their win total. I think this is going to
be a disaster, and thankfully, I guess or negatively how
you look at it, Jordan Hudson will give us social
media updates about everything that's going on as it unfolds.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Yes, so it is kind of interesting that you think disaster.
I think they're going to be really good. The problem
is all of a sudden now with all this TV
talk a TV series. Do you think this is for
the players in the program and an easy way to
get guys in or is this his way of showing, Hey,
Tom Brady left New England and changed everything about him
(06:44):
going to Tampa and won a Super Bowl. I am
going to change who I am and head to college
football because the NFL rejected me, and I'm gonna do
kind of a new look at me. Hey, look behind
the cameras. I'm actually funny. I'm not this gruff jerk
who actually is interesting and funny and witty and self deprecating.
(07:04):
I think that's what she was selling him. You should
do the show because the public doesn't know you. But
is it sinister, Rob for me to think that she's
doing this for herself?
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Not at all? Not.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
I mean, it's reported. I haven't confirmed this. Maybe we
can get pablotry on it, because he was all over
the story, you know, for like a month and a half.
It was reported that she was dating another old dude
before Bill, whoa what?
Speaker 3 (07:27):
So?
Speaker 2 (07:27):
I mean?
Speaker 4 (07:28):
I thought I loved old people doing stuff. Apparently Jordan
Hudson's got me beat.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
Wait is it? Are you serious?
Speaker 2 (07:34):
I swear.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
It was reported that she had had a previous boyfriend
or whatever it was, and that she had made some
money working with him and some investments and things of
that nature. And I don't know why it fell apart,
but she found a new old guy that she's apparently
really into and can get her what is it? Sink
her teeth into as they say, you know, but whatever
(07:58):
flows your boat, I guess.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
Yeah, so it is interesting. You know, these young women,
they have a lot of options. Obviously, the women are
now are more educated than the men. You know, they're
going to college more. And I wonder she could have
been like an influencer, right. I don't know how many
followers she had before the Belichick stuff, but beauty pageant, cheerleader,
(08:21):
you know you got that angle. You could go the
only fans throughout I'm I'm not suggesting anything. I'm just
saying she just decided, let me go grab Bill Belichick now.
And maybe their meeting was happenstance on a plane or
something and they hit it off. It's something just strike.
It's just so different than anything we've seen from Belichick.
(08:42):
Maybe that's what's thrown me off. Or we don't know
anything about this woman other than what you read, because
she hasn't said anything just to do interviews.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
Rob No.
Speaker 4 (08:51):
Yeah, and in fact, she sits in an interviews tell
them what not to say and what not to ask,
which is in the background. Yeah, what makes herself famous.
What's interesting is I'm surprised that you're optimates stick about
this Belichick situation because every comment he's made publicly, at
least with regards to going tow nother Carolina is how
much more well prepared he's gonna be because he's an
NFL guy, He's won at the highest level, and most
(09:13):
recently talked about, Hey, there's no owner, there's no owner's son,
there's no salary cap. You know, I don't got to
worry about that in college football, And you would think
Bill Belichick would have known when he signed his contracts
that college way more so than the NFL, is less
about the x's and o's and more about the jimmies
than the Joe's. Like, I still don't know one thousand
(09:36):
percent whether or not Steve Starkezian is a great football coach.
I still don't know one thousand percent if Ryan Day
is a great football coach. But I do know that
Texas and Ohio State can recruit their ass off, and
they got big pockets, and they're gonna have five star
guys all over the field. So no matter who they
play and where they play, they are probably gonna have
a decided advantage no matter who they face. And Bill
(09:58):
Belichick is gonna be facing an uphill battle week in
and week out because he went again to a middle
of the road team in a middle of the road
conference and if he thinks he's going to be able
to x'es and o's his way out of this whole
situation where he's gonna win enough games to make people
forget that. Jordan Hudson derailed his interview with The Good
Day Today and derailed his book tour, and now is
(10:20):
derailed the HBO hard knocks thing into this Hulu deal
like he's got a rude awakening come in his way.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Yeah, I'm a little concerned, a little slightly concerned for
Belichick that he's losing focus. Hey man, the NFL didn't
want you. Here's your chance to go to college and dominate,
and I feel like he's getting sidetracked. I had heard
a funny analogy that, so, for instance, a bear. If
you go to the circus and you see a bear,
(10:49):
it's not that interesting, right, The bear is part of
the thing. He's jumping through hoops whatever he's doing. Right.
If you go to the circus and see a human
on a unicycle, you're like, oh, deck talented, but it's
nothing special. It's not that interesting. But if you pair
the bear on the unicycle, holy shit, Now that is fascinating.
(11:10):
If you go to church and see a bear riding
a unicycle. You're like, oh my goodness, what's what's happening here?
That's gonna go viral? And I think about it. Bill
Belichick going to unc Okay, that moderately interesting. And then
they get smashed by Clemson and you're kind of over them. Okay,
Bill Belichick dating a younger girl, Well, now that is interesting.
Bill Belichick dating a twenty four year old while coach
(11:32):
of North Carolina and a Hulu series. I think I'm
gonna get a Hulu subscription just to see it's like that. Honestly,
I'm you know, I wanted to get Hulu back in
the day for Lost, but eventually I guess it changed
and I Lost just on Netflix. I've never had Hulu.
You know. We tinkered with the idea of hands the
made Taiale. A lot of people are saying, that's good.
I never saw Have you seen it?
Speaker 2 (11:52):
I have not. I think my wife's seen it, but
I have not.
Speaker 3 (11:54):
Well do you what does she say good or not?
Speaker 4 (11:56):
I mean, she can beIN watch all these shows and
I have no idea if they're good or not because
she'll watch it from beginning to end, and he won't
know whether or not she loved it. She just locked in,
Like she's that kind of person.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
I think I'm probably gonna end up getting Hulu or
look for some kind of deal to get it. Just
to see this, I again seventy three. Once your kids
get to elementary school, Rob, you'll notice, like, okay, a
lot of parents still together. And then you get to
middle school and you start meeting the kids friends and
(12:26):
you're like, oh, this guy's second marriage. And then you
meet the wife and she's like twenty seven and he's
like forty seven. You're like, oh, I see, okay, gotcha.
But I've never encountered seventy three and twenty four. Now,
I'm not saying this is like an Anna Nicole Smith
and that old rich guy. That sounds bad, but that's
(12:48):
I mean, I have no favor of reference, Rob, I don't.
I again, this is just it means pitballing man. This
is crazy stuff.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
Yeah, it really is.
Speaker 4 (12:57):
And I guess I'll close my remarks with that is
that as much as I'm down on Belichick and what's
going to happen this year at UNC, ultimately all of
the punchlines and the jokes that I've made and you've
made at his expense. With regards to Jordan Hudson, they're
all gonna kind of flutter away if he ends up
being a success. Yes, Like if they end up winning
eight or nine games, it's gonna be like, hey, Bill,
(13:20):
keep doing what you're doing. That young thing is rein
reinvigorated you in a way we didn't know that you
still had it in you. And City boys we up
shout out to Bill Belichick, like that's that's what we're
gonna be talking about. But if it doesn't go well
and they win five six games, oh it's going to
be open season.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Two quick NFL things Number One. This guy let's Bill
Barnwell of ESPN. He did something on trades that are interesting,
many of them no big deal. This one. Instantly I
was like, oh, that is not bad. So here's the
trade idea. The Pittsburgh Steelers send a fourth round pick
(14:14):
to the Indianapolis Colts for Anthony Richardson. Now I missed
this last week. All I was out. But apparently Richardson's
camp is Agent and company. They are saying, how do
we trust the Colts after they did Richardson dirty like
this and named Daniel Jones the starter. Now Daniel Jones
has been injured. We know he's not a great quarterback,
(14:36):
so Richardson's gonna have his chance. But it does make
me wonder Rob if you're the Colts, like do you
do this now and be like, yo, hey, we just
got to get this out of the building so it
doesn't swirrel, because you know, the second Daniel Jones throose
two picks, did you consider putting Anthony Richardson in the
backup quarterback? Always the most popular guy on the football team,
(14:58):
Because as soon as it go sideways for DJ and
then will trust, they're gonna ask about it Anthon Richardson
And at that point, Richard, do you know how Richardson
must feel third overall pick, given multiple chances, can't stay healthy,
he loses his job. He's got to be just totally down.
Pittsburgh has Aaron Rodgers for a year. Ignore the nonsense
where he told DK Metcalf on his podcast, Oh maybe
(15:19):
we'll run it back, Like, come on, dude, You're not
even gonna survive the season. There's just no way. But
going to Pittsburgh. I mean, I don't know that he
works with Arthur Smith, but a fresh start not a
bad idea, and Pittsburgh ain't gonna be horrible enough to
draft like top five quarterback. So going after Anthony Richardson
(15:40):
I kind of sort of don't hate it. Now. It
could just be oh, yeah, this is like another Trey
Lance or promise, promise, promise, and then he can't stay
healthy or just not very good.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
It's not the worst idea.
Speaker 4 (15:55):
The problem is is I'm probably the wrong guy to
discuss this with because you know, I've been off the
Anthony Richardson train now for a minute. I told you, hey,
go better go learn Canadian buddy, because you're going to
be playing in the CFL here in about a year
and a half.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
By the way, I stole that used it on the Herd.
People thought it was so disrespectful and a week later
low Bro got benched for Daniel Jones. So anyways, I do, yes.
Speaker 4 (16:17):
But it's like, look, Anthony Richardson is a physical specimen
who just cannot play quarterback, and what I believe what
he needs more than anything is repetition. He needs chances
to go out there and throw interceptions and throw in
complete passes and miss a blocking assignment and get crushed
like he did in that preseason game, because the best
(16:38):
way to learn is by doing. Like he has only
played thirteen games in college and I think was it
fifteen games in the NFL or something like that, like
a very small number, and what he needs is reps.
And if he can't get him in Indianapolis, where's he
going to get him Because he's definitely not going to
(16:58):
be playing ahead of Aaron Rodgers in Pittsburgh in the scenario.
So then you get to a situation where, let's say
hypothetically you do trade for him. You move into twenty
twenty six, Aaron Rodgers retired, Anthonyridge is your guy. You're
gonna run into all the same issues that you had
in Indie because he still is gonna have an issue
identifying coverages, He's still gonna have accuracy issues. He's not
(17:18):
going to get an opportunity to work that stuff out
the way that Josh Allen did in Buffalo and early
in his career. Josh Allen in the beginning of his
career was terrible as a pocket quarterback. He was an
athletic specimen. He could throw a ball through a building
if he wanted to, but he could not hit a
five yard out route. He could not identify defenses. And
(17:40):
eventually getting these in game repetitions, getting constant coaching and
hands on coaching from a guy like Brian Daball, he
was able to take the next step and eventually marry
that superhuman ability with classic NFL quarterbacking. And if I'm
Pittsburgh and I'm really looking to make a splash and
make a trade and maybe try to set ourselves up
(18:01):
for the future, rather than calling the Colts, hey, I
know you don't to hear this. I'd rather call up
Cleveland and say can we get Shadoor Oh, Because, as
we talked about yesterday, if he go if Shador goes
to a situation where there's already a quarterback in plays
and Aaron Rodgers is already there, there is no threat
of him getting bench no matter what happens in Pittsburgh.
That gives Shadour the opportunity to sit on the bench.
(18:25):
In this case, he's played a lot, so he doesn't
need to get the onfield reps. He can learn from
a guy who is arguably the great the best quarterback,
not the greatest, but the best quarterback we've ever seen.
And you could do have a lot worse than having
a succession plan like Shadoor Sanders.
Speaker 3 (18:41):
I don't know. I need to let that sink in Shdore.
So here's the thing. I asked Mary Kay Cabot on
the Herd Monday, is there any chance they traded should do?
And they were like, no, none. Basically they're gonna hold
him on the roster all season.
Speaker 1 (18:55):
Now.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
Obviously, you know she's a great reporter, she's covered the
team forever. Things change, But I I like your idea of, hey,
let's just we got to move on from Shador right.
If it's not working, you just gotta move on.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in

Speaker 3 (19:19):
We can wrap up with something that is working, and
that's my guy Brock Perdy. So Rob g is hot
on this Niners take. So our guy Albert Breer went
to forty nine Ers camp and was talking to him
and they you know, forty nine ers are very geeked
about quickly retooling after a down year brought Perdy got
his deal, they purged a lot of defensive veterans. Can
(19:42):
it be done? Can they quickly bounce back and become
a contender. I am of the belief that they can.
I have been reading a little about this defense, and
I confess that a lot of it is backed simply
by Hey, they've got Robert Sali, He'll figure it out.
They could start two or three rookies on defense. But
(20:05):
the big question is this whole Brock Party situation. Now,
rob I am team Brock Party, so I know I'm
the wrong guy to ask, but I am curious your
thoughts on the Niners this season. They're not getting a
lot of juice because there's no Brandon. Are you complaining
they got rid of Deebo Samuel, there's no waiting for
(20:25):
Brock's contract, Like there really isn't anything other than the
health of the wide receivers that we're waiting on. But
where are you on the Niners?
Speaker 2 (20:33):
To be determined?
Speaker 4 (20:34):
Part of me feels like they could win the division
again because I believe in Brock Purty. You know, I've
been a brock Purty guy, called him the next Joe
Burrow and that then early aged too well. But I'm
a big fan of Brock Party and they still have talent.
I know they lost a lot of guys, but you
like Kittle, McCaffrey, Warner, like Bosa.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
They have dudes all over the place.
Speaker 4 (20:53):
And what's interesting about that Albert Beer piece is, you
know he talked to John Lynch doctor Kyle Shanahan and
in one quote, John Lynch is talking about, you know,
retooling on the fly and what it's like to play
young guys and hopefully they develop, you know, throughout the season,
and Lynch says, quote, I think you embrace it, and
you're booy by the fact that we have people that
(21:13):
we respect that have done it. The Rams have done
a nice job of doing that and never missed a beat,
stayed competitive and then Buffalo. Obviously it helps when you
got Josh Allen, but hey, we've got Brock Party and
for a Brock Party truth, they're like me. I'm like,
hell yeah, John Lynch, at least you see what I see.
Like we're all on the same page. Brock Purty's gonna
be b October year round. The problem is you keep
(21:34):
reading that article and they talked to Rock Party about
this whole situation. And Brock Purty says in his opinion,
one reason or the biggest reason why his play tapered
off so badly in twenty twenty four relative to twenty
twenty three is because, according to him, he was trying
to do too much. He was trying to be Superman,
(21:54):
and he had to convince himself like, hey, get back
to the base, gents, basics, it doesn't matter who's out there.
Kyle called to play as you run it right, just
like rookie year.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
It works.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
Stick to that, be consistent, don't go searching because McCaffrey's
out of the game and you think you got to
go replace him. So it's like there's some kind of
disconnect if I'm reading this correctly, where the GM and
the coach are confident that hey, he can be our
Josh Allen type where it doesn't have to be perfect
around him, but we can put a lot on his
shoulders and he can carry us to the Promised Land
(22:24):
rather than the rest of the guys, and he's kind
of along for the ride. And Brock is at the
same token saying, well, what works for me is accepting that, Hey,
if I just do what I'm supposed to do, I
don't have to worry about anything else. I don't have
to be Superman. I don't have to be as John
Lynch you mentioned. I don't have to be Josh Allen
going yolo every other play to carry the team. So
(22:45):
that it makes me a little bit uneasy about the
whole situation in the bay right now.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
Uneasy. That's a safe word. The receivers aren't great. Can
pretty elevate an offense when you lose Debo? I said
last year, Debo the heartbeat of that team. It's not
McCaffrey because he's not like an alpha in the locker room.
But Debo is like one of those first guys coming
out of the tunnel, talking, trash dancing. He and Trent
Williams kind of lead the way. And to lose Debo,
(23:12):
I think that's a big loss. Party is more of
a quiet leader, right, He's not gonna come out. He's
not very raw raw. I don't think he's a party
animal the way some of these other quarterbacks are like celebrities.
I don't think he is. He seems very low key
and laid back and quiet. Remember him and George Kittle
(23:32):
were on stage. I think it was a like a
one of these country music concerts, and you know, somebody
tosses a beer to Kittle and he shot guns the
beer and rock Perty's like, yeah, I'm not doing that,
you know, which would have been like with me and
my old age, that that's what I would have done.
I'm not shotgunning a beer now, J Mack twenty years ago,
I'm pounding that and probably passing out. But like, I
(23:55):
respect Purty for not doing that. He's a little different.
I like the quiet, calm confidence, and I just got
to I'm just gonna say, Rob, I know last year
did not quite go his way. There were a lot
of other stuff that hurt the team. I don't even
think this is a proven year. He's got nothing to prove.
In my opinion. The only thing that is gonna get
(24:15):
people off his back is winning a Super Bowl. No ever,
it's always gonna come back to Yeah, but he can't
play in weather, but he can't elevate others. The only
way is to win a Super Bowl. However, Rob, we
just saw Jalen Hurts win a Super Bowl and win
the MVP, and he's getting slighted. He has to end
to their list of the top one hundred players, and
Jalen Hurts checks in at thirty eight. I mean there's
(24:39):
like four Eagles ahead of him.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
That's crazy.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
I mean again, I just I totally do not understand
this idea that Jalen Hurts is not elite and Rock
Perty is not elite. I just I cannot comprehend it.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
Now.
Speaker 3 (24:54):
I'll say this, if you put Rock Purty on the
Bengals with Jamar Chason T Higgins, how good is that offense?
I don't think you have a big drop off from Burrow,
do you, Like, yes, I think a lot of quarterbacks.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
I think it's closer to people think for sure, for sure,
because Brock Perdy is one of those guys who we've
seen is on time, on target a lot, and it's
and it's I guess people will kind of make fun
of that kind of thing because you know, Jared Goff
is like that too, right where if you get him
in structure and he knows what he's going to one
two three bang, play action one two three four five bang,
(25:32):
and you can win a lot of games doing that.
Tom Brady won a lot of Super Bowls doing that. Yeah,
And you don't have to be Josh Allen. You don't
have to be Aaron Rodgers who only got one super Bowl.
You don't have to be Patrick Mahomes every game. Like
(25:52):
some of the most successful quarterbacks in NFL history, played
within a system on time on target, out of need
to have the ball, get it to my playmakers, let
them do the work. And I think brock Perdy can
do that as well as anybody. And to your point,
if he was in Cincinnati, you know, I probably still
wouldn't picked to make the playoffs to the defense sucks,
but I don't. I don't think it's crazy to say
he'd have a lot of OFFENSEI success in there for sure.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
I mean I'm bullish on the Niners this year a lot.
There are some questions about the defense. So they're going
to be able to plug in like a fourth round
pick and he's going to deliver the way you know,
their previous all pros had and the answers probably no,
but those guys had fallen off a lot, and that's
why I think he moved off of them. Anyways, Man,
I cannot wait, so we're trying to book a good
college football guest to talk about opening weekend. Very fired
(26:39):
up about that. I think I'm gonna try to get
a fantasy guy tomorrow. I have I think four drafts
here in the next nine days, so that that's going
to be fun. Rob, Have you had any fantasy drafts yet?
Speaker 4 (26:50):
I've had one and have another one coming up on Thursday.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
How did it go? Well?
Speaker 4 (26:54):
The first one was terrible because, like you know, this
playing fantas football, why are we having a draft like
August seventeenth when the season starts September fourth. Like, if
I would have known that Jill mix It was going
to be out for the first four games, maybe I
would have changed my ideas if I would Where did
you pick Mixon? Well? I got him like in the
twelfth round, so it's not a big deal. But if
I would have known for sure he was going to
(27:14):
be out, and maybe that bumps up a Damian Pierce
or a Nick Chubb. If I would have known for
sure that Terry McLaurin was going to be signed, maybe
that changes the way I draft, Like you know what
I mean, Like when you're drafting that early, I had
no idea who Jacory masking whatever they got from the commander.
Speaker 3 (27:30):
Hey, hey, I had no idea who that was. I
never heard his name until I started researching fantasy JA
Cory krossky Merritt. He played at I think Alabama. Stated,
call him.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
Bill, they'll call him Jacory. Call him Bill. I have
no idea.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
Why is that a thing?
Speaker 2 (27:46):
I swear that he wants to be call he wants
to be called Bill.
Speaker 3 (27:48):
Huh So, Yeah, that guy's a big time sleeper and
trading Brian Robinson probably is a tell that this guy's
going to get looks. Rob giving a fantasy stuff. All right,
we're back tomorrow. See then,
