Speaker 1 (00:00):
I have to have better stop from the beginning, Jonas Knocks,
you thought you knew me. You didn't know a thing
about me.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
He's crazier than air else wrecked that guy, Jonas Knocks.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
You heard me.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
The brin some darkness is lighting up your speakers to
establish an alibi for the day. No lie from the
Fox Sports Radio studios. Here's Jonas Knox.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
YEP. So okay, I'll be port this. You know, you

(00:48):
probably should have expected it. I don't know why everybody's
so surprised. Apparently this is a stunning development in the
world of football. We'll get into that for you coming
up here in just a couple of moments. From now,
Jonas Knocks Fox Sports Radio. You can listen to this
show as always on the iHeartRadio app. You can find
us on hundreds of affiliates all across the country and

(01:10):
wherever you are making us a part of your Saturday
morning into the afternoon. We appreciate you doing so. We're
taking you all the way up until four pm Eastern time,
one o'clock Pacific.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
And oh boy, we.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Got college football on. We got college football everywhere, and
we got somebody who's defiant of trends. And let me
just say this, I do appreciate you know, while everybody
looks at hey, what's the trend, what's the next big thing?

(01:42):
You know, you want to get on something early. You
don't want to be late to the party when it
comes to social media and fitness and like all these
different things, like hey, look this is this is the
new trend. That's outdated? Looks. I get all that, but
there is something to the people who say, oh, is
that a trend? Is that the new trend? Sweet? Kiss

(02:04):
my ass? I'm gonna do it the way I want
to do it. I really appreciate those people right now.
I don't know if I'm one of them. I feel
like saying that I'm one of them would be kind
of a douchey thing to do. And that's the last
thing I want to do on this show. We've got
a no douche tolerance on this show. So that's the

(02:27):
last thing I want to do. But it's like, you
hear these people that you know, they what's your secret?
You know you live so long, what's your secret? I mean,
you know, kale salads and lean protein and low sodium
your entire life, no glass of Scotch twice a day.

(02:52):
You know what you mean, eat whatever I want? Huh no, no, no,
but seriously, oh no, I'm serious. You remember when in
the same week Whole Cogan and Ozzy Osbourne passed away,
and people are like, man, Whole Cogan talked about, you know,
say your prayers and take your vitamins and Ozzy Osbourne,
Ozzy Osbourne drank urine and snorted ants off the ground. Okay,

(03:17):
there wasn't a narcotic that guy didn't touch or take
during his life. Eh, hell of a run. And I
say all that to say this. In the era of Hey,
we got to speed things up. Okay, we got to
speed things up. You got major League Baseball out there

(03:37):
going Look, we gotta have a pitch clock. People are
tired of this, and we've got to expand the bases.
We've got to speed this up. People don't have time
to sit through a long ass baseball game. Let's go
ahead and speed things up. Everyone's like, hey, dude, with
this review process in the NFL, we got to figure
out a way to speed things up. Okay, let's get
to a quicker, quicker, quicker, fat Like that's all you

(03:58):
hear about you don't want anything too long, Okay, you
don't want these these videos, these you gotta speed things up. Okay.
The attention span of people has changed. Texas Ohio State
kicked off two hours ago and the second half just started.

(04:22):
You know what I mean. Like like it's like college
football is like oh eat healthy this No, no, yeah,
we don't care about your attention span. We're gonna do
what we do. I mean, we are two hours in
and the first the second half just kicked off, So

(04:43):
you can complain about the length of these games. We
can sit here and talk about, oh my god, you
gotta speed this up. I mean, this is what I'm
gonna give a tip of the cap and say, you
know what good for you while everybody out there is like, nah,
we got to condense things. We gotta make you know,
these attention spans are different. College football is like no, no, no,
f your attention span. You will give us all the attention.

(05:05):
The ratings will prove so and we're going to take
our time. And if you don't like that, you can
get lost and go be one of those geeks that
doesn't watch football. At the Jonas Knox on X at
Jonas Knox show on Instagram is where you can find
us there, and you can always listen to this show
on the iHeartRadio app. Now, there is something that should

(05:29):
be pointed out here, and the fact that we have
to point this out, I think it's just par for
the course. We talk about trends. One of the trends
now is that we want to anoy people, we want
to we want to celebrate people, and we want to
call people great or superb or legitimate, maybe before it's

(05:55):
reasonably expected to do so. Arch man is one of
those guys coming into this game. Arch Manning has two
starts in his career, two and he was the favorite
to win the Heisman. Okay, super talented, but he struggled
in the first half. Now they're driving down the field.

(06:16):
Now he's starting to get into a little bit of
a rhythm. But he struggled. That should be expected. Yet
people will take their victory laps through one half of
football with oh yeah, his heisman, stock of a boy
boy arch man and getting exposed. Dude. He's playing the

(06:37):
defending national champions in his third start on the road
in the game not just of this college football season
to kick off the year, but a game We've not
seen to this magnitude in college football. You think it's

(06:57):
maybe a little bit reasonable that he might struggle or
there might be some nerves. Do you think that's reasonable? No,
if he's legit, he should, dude. This is college football
in week one. Much like you're seeing Jeremiah Smith have
a drop. It's week one. You're gonna see sloppy play.

(07:19):
It's a seven to nothing game. They're probably not gonna
hit the over. We were on the air last week
during that debacle in Dublin. That game was awful for
majority of that and all of a sudden fourth quarter
rolled around. It's like, man, the over under might actually
the overright hit here. This isn't play. And if not

(07:39):
for you know, somebody getting down four inches short of
the goal line and screwing over anybody that had fifteen
and a half in the over. We're having a whole
nother conversation. But this is college football, and it might
take a week or two to get through this. But
like you're looking around and people like, oh my god,
I thought arch Manning was legit. I thought arch Manning

(08:00):
was this and he could two starts and then Texas says,
oh and by the way, We've got the biggest game
to open up the season, maybe in college football history,
a one versus A three on the road at this
shoe with over one hundred thousand people there, and not

(08:25):
all of them are Matthew McConaughey. By the way, go
out there and perform up to expectations. It's never going
to happen. The guy was placed in an impossible spot, impossible.
The season wasn't even here, and he's having to say, yeah,

(08:48):
I don't know where my grandfather got the idea that,
you know, I'm going to come back here and I've
already made a decision. People are talking about, man, you
know the Saints should tank for arch Manning? What like
third start? Like what do we like? We can we
give this the rest? Remember when RG three won the Heisman?

(09:09):
Does anybody remember how that played out? Nobody was talking
about RG three winning the Heisman, Nobody. All of a sudden,
Week one rolls around, They're like, man, this kid's pretty good.
Like it's why the preseason rankings, the preseason all American,
like all of this stuff is kind of comical if

(09:30):
you actually think of it, it's kind of comical. Boise
State loses and it's like, oh my god, that's an upset?
Is it because they have a number next to their name?
Who the hell knows? Florida State was a top ten
team last year. Going into the season, they were awful.
So I would just say this, And I know that

(09:50):
this is not maybe a popular thing to do. I
know maybe people aren't into this idea or this thought.
But maybe we just slow it down a little bit.
We just kind of slowed down a little bit here. Okay,
maybe we give it more than a half of football
on the road in front of one hundred thousand people
with millions watching in your third start to say, yeah,

(10:14):
you know, we're maybe we need a little bit more
time before we make some assessments here on a guy's
a career. You know what, do you think maybe we
maybe we wait a little bit longer to see whether
or not he's the goods, or maybe we wait a
little bit longer before we just toss them out and
say no, yeah, I'm not gonna win a Heisman this year.
Everybody just relax. Okay, And by the way, they've got

(10:36):
a third and goal, they're halfway through the third quarter. Okay,
Like maybe just maybe Texas will figure out to put
a couple of points on the board where points are
a premium, because what a shoker. It's Week one and
next thing, you know, arch Manning's got to win in
his third start in this environment. Might change the way

(10:59):
we feel about things at the Jonas Knox on x
at Jonas Knox Shaw on Instagram, and again you can
listen to this show as always on the iHeartRadio app.
So we do have a fourth and goal situation for
arch Manning in Texas right now. It appears that we
have a fourth down stop, which I will say this.

(11:21):
They are going for it on fourth down at a
high clip in this game. All right. So now we've
got a seven to nothing Ohio State lead six forty
to go in the third quarter, and it looks like
Ohio State's going to start in their own in zone.
So look, bitch all you want about no offense in
these games. I love it. Man sloppy same as last week.
Sloppy defense ahead of the offense. Typical Week one in football.

(11:44):
It's going to be this in college football, and it's
probably gonna be like that in the NFL. We're gonna
have the usuals coming up later on We're gonna have
another edition of Do You Care coming up later this hour.
We've also got the scraps. All of it is yours
here on this two hour extravaganza up next. Though sometimes
even in the world of football, there is no explanation

(12:06):
for crazy behavior. Find out who we're talking about next.
Jonas is counted Today.

that we've been friends for the last twenty years and
still work together.

Speaker 1 (12:56):

Speaker 1 (13:20):
That's Covino and Rich Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio. Coming
up here a little over ten minutes from now, we're
going to get an honest review of something that took
place in the world of football earlier. An honest review, right,
so that'll be yours here on FSR. As we get

(13:43):
to that here again a little over ten minutes from now,
updating you on the game of the day in the
world of college football, where Ohio State has a seven
to nothing lead for twenty five to go in the
third quarter and they've got the football. So Ohio State's
got the football, but they are deep in their own territory.

(14:07):
So we will keep you posted on that and let
you know how that plays out. Another thing that that
is making the rounds here on social media is whether
or not Ryan Day has a nipple ring. Now I
don't have a nipple ring. I did in a prior Look,
I've made some mistakes. Not gonna and listen, she's probably listening,

(14:33):
but but I've made some mistakes personally, and you know,
one of those was I thought it would be a
good idea to get a lebrette, which is a piercing
below your bottom lip. So I had that for a while.
That looked awful. I also had a piercing in a
cartilage piercing in one of my years that was that

(14:54):
was not a great idea either. And I don't know
whether or not Ryan Day, who still denies that he
dies a beard. The great Petros Papadakis was the first
to point that out. He called him Blackbeard. So the
guy dies his beard. I've got grays in my beard.
I don't diet. I just it's never occurred to me.
I don't want to put shoe polish on my face.
Doesn't seem like a place for me to put all that.

(15:17):
But there is some speculation, based on a picture of
Ryan Day walking that he may or may not have
a nipple ring on his left side. So we are efforting.
We've got boots on the grounds in Columbus, all boots
on the ground in Columbus. I don't know whether or
not I can reach out to Brady Quinn if he's

(15:37):
if he's still busy doing stuff there, but you know,
maybe we can find out at some point whether or
not Ryan Day does indeed have a nipple ring. And
it's not even a nipple ring, it's a bar like
he's got the the bar going across the nipple that
it appears in the shirt. So look, you can look
that up on social media. And we're going to try
and get some answers here on this show at some point,
all right, Either or that let's just you know, per

(16:00):
per Suddenly a lot of people like answers. I like
to recklessly speculate. That's my favorite thing to do in
radio and just see who gets offended by it. So
we will get into that at some point here. Now,
I'd like to just say this also, having dealt with
this in my life, that there are times where not

(16:22):
only can you not explain crazy, you can't fix it, Okay,
And I say that because I want to go back
all the way back, all right, this is a long
time ago, in a previous era. All right, So we're
going to listen to some sound from a long time ago.

(16:45):
And this sound is from none other than Cowboys quarterback
Dak Prescott. This was all the way back, long long
ass time ago. We're talking ages, ages ago. Let's go
all the way back to five days ago where Dak
Prescott talked about his optimism that Micah Parsons is going

(17:11):
to be ready for the Cowboys in Week one.

Speaker 4 (17:14):
No, I've got confidence. I've told you all that well
way back when, and I'm just going off of experience, honestly,
no different than mine. So I've got confidence in that,
just hoping, which I know he is, he's ready to play.
There's been a case of something similar to this the
last three years of believe, so if not before, I mean,
I guess right, not necessarily. I think that's uh. People

(17:36):
can take it however they want. I think it's kind
of part of the way guys think and see things
around here.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
Yeah, oops, right, you know what that is? That Dak Prescott,
that was one of those like I yeah, yeah, that's
just kind of crazy, you know. Mike McCarthy did the
same thing last year. Jerry Jones was talking about play

(18:03):
calling and play design and something during the course of
the season, and Mike McCarthy was asked about it and
he just kind of laughed, and I was like, well,
you know, yeah, we'll we'll take that under consideration. You know,
Jerry Jones has got opinions on play call. Okay, well yep,
we will. Yeah, we'll consider that for sure. And we're
getting to the point in Dallas where the people in

(18:29):
Dallas are just like, dude, it's crazy, Like I mean,
like you can't, like you you've got to You've got
a lot of people out there trying to explain the
Cowboys side of the trade. You know, they're trying to
explain it, like hey, listen, you know this is why
they did this. You know, like you've had people come
up with, you know, reasons like well, you know, Michaeh.

(18:50):
Parson's going to cost all this money, and you know,
if is it really worth that, if if you're not
quite a super Bowl contender, and it's like, is it
really worth It's like okay, well well wait, I know,
like this yeah, clearly, like hey, you know, we're like
maybe not a good team, so like, let's get worse. Yeah, yeah, totally, yeah,

(19:17):
that makes sense. Yeah, but what about those those draft picks?
You know they got two first round picks. Yeah, it's like,
oh sweet, so they got two unscratched lotto scratchers. How
much are those I don't know, I haven't scratched them yet.
Oh how much? You Like, how would you know how
much that's worth? I don't know. So what we're talking about.

(19:41):
And by the way, the Green Bay Packers, because if
I were to ask you, like, what would what would
like what kind of draft pick would it take for
those first round picks to turn into for the trade
to be worthwhile? Like if I were to tell you, yeah,
but you've got two top ten picks in the draft left,
you'd be like, wow, that is something because you could

(20:03):
take those two top ten picks and you can probably
move up, trade them away, and you can probably move
up pretty high in the draft, Like you could do that.
The Green Bay Packers have picked in the top ten
twice in the last twenty years. They just don't do that.
That's not where they draft. You want to know why,
because they're usually a pretty decent team. So you just

(20:26):
trade it away a for sure all pro, potentially a
Hall of Fame player, and you traded them away to
help the run quote unquote, and add two lotto scratchers
that you're not quite sure what they're worth because you

(20:52):
haven't scratched them yet, and by the time you do,
it's probably going to be like pick twenty seven or
twenty eight in the draft. You can't explain crazy, you
just can't, and you probably can't fix it either. And

(21:13):
so when you hear Dak Prescott from five days ago say, yeah,
I mean, you know, it's just kind of how it's
done around here, or you hear Mike McCarthy last year
when people ask him, hey, Jerry Jones says maybe you
should do this or the play and you should do
that with a play, and they're just and Mike McCarthy's like, yeah, okay,
well we'll take that under consideration. It's gotten to the

(21:34):
point to where people in Dallas have acknowledged and are
looking around going this is nuts. Nobody thinks, like for
anybody out there trying to make the case for the Cowboys,
even if you're a Cowboys fan like I could I
actually understand making the case speaking to Dallas for the

(21:57):
Luca trade. I really could, because the Mavericks are like, dude,
he's not in shape, he's not this, he's not that.
And by the way, we're bringing back Anthony Davis. We
feel like that's gonna help hard. I could. I could
understand stretching it and making that one make sense. I
really could. I really could understand that. I could have understood,

(22:21):
you know, the Khalil Mack trade a few years ago,
where the Raiders are like, dude, we got we don't
want to make that commitment financially, so we're going to
trade with him, and we're going to trade him to
a team that we don't think is going to be
very good, and we're going to turn that into two
first round picks. I could understand that. I actually defended
the Raiders in that deal. And if you go back

(22:43):
and look, probably a wash, but you know on who
won what. But I actually defended the Raiders in that deal, Like, yeah,
I get it, I get it. Gruden's there, they're trying
to move in a different direction. They don't want to
make that financial commit Nobody can make any sense of this.
It doesn't make sense, Like stop trying to mess with

(23:04):
the math to get the number you want. In the end,
it doesn't make sense. It was a terrible move, terrible ah.
But they did it with herschel Walker. No, Jimmy Johnson
did it with herschel Walker and Jimmy Johnson. The only

(23:28):
reason that trade looks smart in the end is because
of who they got, and those were high draft picks.
Like the Cowboys are trading Micah Parsons to a team
that's already good. They just got better. Like, just to

(23:49):
simplify things for anybody out there, a bad team got
worse and a good team got better. There's no there
is no who won the trade. What are the trade grades? Dude? Stop? Yeah,
but hold on a second, But what if? What if nothing?

(24:10):
What if they just got a deal done and the
Cowboys are going into the season with Micah Parsons. What
if And that could have happened. It could happened months ago,
That should have happened months ago. But when you hear
Dak Prescott from five days ago talk about the optimism
he has but also saying like, yeah, that's just kind

(24:33):
of how it's done around here, and Mike McCarthy last
year being like, Okay, we'll take the play calling ideas
from Jerry Jones the owner, and are considerate dude. There
is no explaining crazy, and more importantly, there's no fixing
it either. At the Jonas Knocks on X at Jonas

next here, We're going to have somebody in the know
detail how they feel about a special moment that took

(25:35):
place in the world of football earlier today. That'll be
yours here on FSR. But for all the latest from
around the world of sports. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome in
a man very irritated to you. First off, welcome in
a man who may or may not have a nipple
piercing okay, but more importantly, a man who demands respect

(25:57):
and he's earned it a broadcast icon, the one and
only Sir Isaac loh.

Speaker 5 (26:03):
All right, all that is true, but you have to
understand something, Jonas. I studied under a Pulitzer Prize winning
journalist in college. And now, thanks to you, what have
I spent the last ten minutes doing? Doing a deep
dive investigation on whether Ryan Day has a left nipple ring?

Speaker 1 (26:28):
Yeah, a nipple bar It looks more like a bar. Right,
That's what I've been investigating.

Speaker 5 (26:33):
So I have an impeccable reputation as one of the
most respective electronic sports media journalists in this country. And
thanks to you, I have just scraped the bottom of
the barrel. That being said, I got a lot of
good stuff. So that's coming up the results of a
Fox Sports Radio investigation.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
Of course.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
All right, as far as you know, like the game.

Speaker 5 (26:57):
After three quarters, number three Ohio State it has a
seven to nothing lead over number one at Texas. The
only score of the ballgame Ohio State CJ Donaldson will
the one yard touchdown run at the eight fifty seven
mark of the second quarter. During the third quarter, meanwhile,
Texas had a fourth and goal at the Ohio.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
State one yard line. They went for it. Here was
Gus Johnson on Fox. Manning looks like they're gonna do
the push push.

Speaker 6 (27:24):
Dewn if they don't get in Ohio State doesn't again
Nebraska penk State last year that right now, Texas Texas.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
I love how he says that.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
Texas Texas, Texas.

Speaker 5 (27:41):
Anyway started the fourth quarter at the Horseshoe and again
it's number three Ohio State leading top ranked Texas seven
to nothing. Arch Manning nine out of fifteen for thirty
eight yards with one interception. Elsewhere Right now, number twenty
four Tennessee up thirty eight to fourteen over Syracuse a
half minutes.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
It'll the third quarter.

Speaker 5 (28:01):
Baseball today, the Atlanta Braves announced they've reinstated a cy
Young Award winner Chris Sail from the sixty day injured list.
In the NFL, the Carolina Panthers reside receiver Hunter Renfro
to their active roster.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
Now we have three leading theories about the Ryan Day
left nipple ring slash bar. By the way, can I
just mention this on the Hunter Renfro signing, Yeah, you know,
nice work by the Panthers replacing one white wide receiver
with another one. You know what I mean, a big

(28:33):
win for us, Isaac, What do you mean us?

Speaker 7 (28:38):
Like?

Speaker 1 (28:38):
What can we get talk about? Like getting a little
love here, Like, Oh, don't worry, guys, you'll be back.
Don't worry to be back.

Speaker 5 (28:45):
Oh my, you're you're distracting from the real important thing
that's going on right now, and that's Ryan Day's potential
nipple ring slash bar.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
Now let's get into it.

Speaker 5 (28:55):
At Clempson on social media posted quot Ryan Day was
seen at Evolved body Art in Columbus earlier this summer
with his wife spoke with some folks in Columbus rumored
that he got nipple piercings. This practically confirms it. After all,
when some guy in South Carolina is posting about Columbus

(29:19):
body art.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
You know it has to be legitimate. That's one theory.
I mean, it is a real place. I'm looking at
her right now, Yeah it is. It is a real place.
But there is another theory about this. There is another
school of thought that Ryan Day is actually wearing I'm
not making this up. This is actually an actual piece

(29:41):
of merchandise. They claim that he is wearing the Skims
pierced nipple push up bra. Oh, that that actually exists.

Speaker 5 (29:53):
I had no idea that, Athea is that the Kim
Kardashian b it is. So, I had no idea that
there was such a thing as a peer nipple push
up bra. But the good news is Jonas.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
By the way, Isaac, between you and I, Yeah, okay, man,
you say whatever you want about the Kodashians. They have
produced rocket ship after rocket ship. I mean, they're just
they could go swimming in all in all the coins. Yeah,
but here's the good news, Jonas.

Speaker 5 (30:18):
Yeah, retails for seventy four bucks, but right now you
can get it for thirty seven.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
Oh but what's the code to get the discount? Day
it is? Now? What is it? What is it? Oh?
What's the code to get the Skims discount?

Speaker 8 (30:32):
Now?

Speaker 1 (30:33):
Ryan Day putting the n in nil.

Speaker 5 (30:35):
Anyway, the description, by the way, I thought that was
really a funny ad lib I just had. By the way, anyway,
so the description of the Skims pierce nipple push up
bra made to be seen our viral ultimate bra is
back reinvented with a built in raised nipple detail and
removable nylon coded nipple piercing for an unforgettable statement, I'll

(31:00):
say so that school of thought number two. School of
thought number three is not only are you looking at
You've seen the picture right, so it's not only the
nipple piercing, but there appears to be moisture underneath the
left nipples.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
What do you think of like a beer tap? By
the way, touchdown Ohio State Carmel Tate thirteen to nothing.

Speaker 5 (31:22):
It was a forty yard touchdown pass from Julian Saying
to Carnel Tate, extra point goods, So fourteen to nothing,
Ohio State over Texas two minutes out of the fourth quarter.
But with that moisture. The final school of thought is
have you ever heard of lactation cookies?

Speaker 1 (31:39):
No?

Speaker 5 (31:40):
Okay, Well it's a product for you know, mothers that
have recently given birth. And the deal is you eat
these cookies and it helps you breastfeed. That is apparently.
Another theory that is floating around on social media is that.

Speaker 1 (31:56):
How bad is that? How bad? Chips? Ahoy have gotten?
Like you got you got? You got women squeezing their
headlights into a onto a baking sheet.

Speaker 5 (32:05):
Their their headlights, huh, summing up the miracle of young.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
Motherhood in one eloquent phrase.

Speaker 5 (32:11):
So that's the third theory that Ryan Day praps Hey,
I did, but then I met you.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
So that's the third.

Speaker 5 (32:19):
Theory that Ryan Day enjoyed some pregame elactation cookies, but
they only flowed left instead of right. But whatever it is,
it's working on the field fourteen nothing, Ohio State, two
minutes of the fourth back to you, By the.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
Way, can I tell you something that's like maybe the
greatest update you've had in the history of your call.
I think there's no question like can we please, can
somebody just pin that somewhere and say, by the way,
you want to know perfet, you want to know how
to do updates? Listen to that? Okay? I think I

(32:52):
think the most enlightening part was when we learned that
there's actually such a manufactured product is a pierced Nitwoll
push up bra, which I still don't understand God, but
you can get it for just thirty seven bucks right now.

Speaker 5 (33:05):
I would like I would like to add in that
I would like to say I learned a lot about
nipple piercing today.

Speaker 1 (33:11):
I look, but I but I'm not gonna tell him myself.
It's look, it's it's a cottage industry apparently, I mean,
listen to it's very profitable. And and it is hard
to come up with an explanation as to what is
that under Ryan Day's shirt other than a timple piercing.

Speaker 5 (33:29):
And why is the moisture just under the left one
instead of the right man?

Speaker 1 (33:32):
Because I also thought this, if it was like a
it's got a drip down somewhere, like I thought two things,
if not, if not a nipple piercing, I thought two things,
is this like you know when the Astros were wearing
that stuff when they were banging on trash cans and
they had God, who was the guy the Astros outfielder,
Like was it a Reddick? Might have been His name
might have been Reddick cofielder. And there was a thought

(33:55):
that he had a buzzer on his chest or something
like that that there's like a picture I've got that's thing.
His last name was Reddick. He played for the A's
for a while and then he was with the Astros.
So I thought that, and then I also thought, is
it like a heart monitor, Like I thought it was
all Tuvey who was supposedly wearing they were like trying
to tear off his jersey after a golf hoh him.
I think if you look, there's a like an outfielder

(34:16):
for the Astros. I think his last name was Reddick,
and there's like a picture of him to where you
can see it. I thought, right, Okay, so I thought
that or I thought it was like a heart monitor.
Hey Jonas, Yeah, can you.

Speaker 5 (34:26):
Use your pulpit as a prominent national sports media member
to call upon journalists to confront Ryan Day about this
after the game? So hypothetically they could shut out Texas,
they could dominate arch Manning. I want you to offer
a bounty to a journalist to have the first question

(34:46):
in Ryan Day's postgame press conference after such a glorious
victory to be about this alleged left knifel.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
He already owes money to Brady Well, oh, I didn't
know that. No, And first of all, like they're way
too sensitive based on the portnoy stuff, Like they are
way too sensitive, Like you you asked Ran Day that question,
Like you're gonna get tased on the spot. So what
a way to go out? What a way to go out?
I mean, look, I think we came I think we
came up with the answers here on this show. So

(35:16):
for anybody want to be one of those three, Like
for anybody wondering, like is it like is that a
nipple piercing? Can we get a round of applause for
Isaac long Kron investigative reporter. By the way, Don Van Nada,
he ain't walking through that door, Jeremy shapp he ain't
walking through that door. Yeah, you got Isaac long Krans here.

(35:36):
You got Don Van not on that one, babe. Yeah,
way to go Ilo, you did it. Unbelievable, but yeah,
fourteen nothing Ohio State twelve fifty fourth Quarner. All right,
So it his Shonas NOx here on Fox Sports Radio.
Coming up, we are going to have another edition of

(35:58):
Do You Care? It's yours right here FSR. Jonas Knox,
Fox Sports Radio coming off top of next hour a
little over ten minutes from now, We're gonna tell you
about somebody in the world of football who probably deserves
a bit of a grace period and they won't get it.
I'll explain. Coming up here again a little over ten

(36:18):
minutes from now. Right now, though, it is time for
another edition of something we do every single week where
we spread optimism on this show. It's called this.

Speaker 2 (36:31):
There are so many stories in the world of sports,
and most of them are a complete waste of time
DMZ reports.

Speaker 1 (36:38):
Let's get kinky.

Speaker 2 (36:39):
Here's some of the big stories from the last week.
But Jonas, the real question is do you care?

Speaker 1 (36:46):
And for that we turn it over to our executive
producer Bo Benson to find out what the hell people
have been talking about.

Speaker 9 (36:51):
Well, Jonas, a quick one here, unscheduled, audible, Jonas, do
you care that the refs are rigging this game in
favor of Texas?

Speaker 1 (36:57):
What do you mean? What happened?

Speaker 9 (36:58):
They overturned that interception, but that was not that was
not clear uh clear tape to overturn that. So yeah,
it feels like they're bailing out arch Manning a little
bit here.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
Hey, you know what, that's what you get when you
bitch and moan about a guy being a Michigan fan
and don't allow him to the cess. That's what you get.
That's what you get. That's the bitch and moan tax
they get that you have to pay.

Speaker 9 (37:18):
Speaking of a tax to pay. Adam Thielen took a
two million dollars pay cut to get the trade that
sent him back to Minnesota done. Jonas, do you care?

Speaker 1 (37:26):
I mean, this is not really I mean, like he
took a pay he probably he probably actually didn't. Right,
there's probably a way to uh, they'll figure out a
way to get that money back to him at some point,
you know, whether it's on the books off the books.

Speaker 3 (37:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (37:38):
I just think it's noteworthy that, you know, they're having
to make a move for Adam Thelen because Jordan Addison
decided to take a nap behind the steering wheel on
the one oh five outside Lax. I just think that's noteworthy.

Speaker 9 (37:51):
Next, South Carolina women's basketball coach don Staley said that
she did, in fact meet with the New York Necks
and would have taken their head coaching job. I offered,
do you no.

Speaker 1 (38:01):
In fact, I would say this, there's I don't know
that there's been anything that we've done in this segment
that I care less about than that. That's like actually
that that's actually a that's another level of not caring.

Speaker 9 (38:14):
Next, the Boston Red Sox release World Series Hero rock
Walker Buehler Jonas, you care about this one?

Speaker 1 (38:20):
Yeah? I do because I think, Uh, look, bo we
getting the band back together. I do.

Speaker 9 (38:26):
I welcome it. The Dodgers Owe endorses that the concept.
Some people have said no, but he's a good vibes guy.

Speaker 1 (38:35):
Yeah. They did the same thing with Keith k Hernandez.
They always figured out a way to bring him back.
I mean, look, I think at some point Justin Turner
would probably finished his career with the Dodgers, whether it's
a one day contract or whatever. But yeah, why wouldn't you.
I mean, with the issues they've had, Let's not forget
that there was a lot of concern about what they
were going to do in bullpen games and this and

(38:56):
that and who wants the ball? Walker Bueller wanted the
ball like he won it at all times, and he's
the one who closed out that World Series. I think
it makes sense.

Speaker 9 (39:03):
Next, Packard's Wookie rookie wide receiver Matthew Golden has changed
his number from one to zero in order to allow
the newly acquired Michael Parsons to wear that number one. Jonas,
do you care?

Speaker 1 (39:14):
Yeah? I do, because I love this. I think it's
kind of a bummer. I thought he was going to
continue on the eleven legacy Stick City in honor of
the great LeVar Arrington and what they got going on there, which,
by the way, LeVar Arrington's son now wears eleven at
Penn State. I thought they would have carried on the tradition.
I'm a little surprised he's going with number one. In fact,
I'll put it this way, I had a little disappointing,
little disappointing that he's going to disrespect Stick City and

(39:37):
go with number one on the outside as a pass rusher.

Speaker 2 (39:41):
Next Sticks Picks.

Speaker 9 (39:43):
Tuck Taco Bell has put a pause on their push
for AI assisted drive throughs after a man attempted to
order eighteen thousand cups of water at one, crashing the system.
There was another guy who kept yelling Baja blast at
the thing even though and then it kept asking him
what drink he would like.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
So, Jonas, do you care about this decision?

Speaker 2 (40:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (40:05):
I actually do. Love That's great, you know I love
about that. That shows you that no matter how hard
they try, no matter how hard they try to take over,
no matter how hard they try and push robots on us,
no matter how hard they try to push self driving
cars or anything else, whether it's AI and they try

(40:26):
and all these people worried about are they phasing out humans?
Humans are like, yeah, watch this, i'mone to order a
Baja Blast in eighteen thousand cups of water to crash
this dummy. Like imagine, like, oh, these are the smartest beings,
these the most intelligent creatures ever do exist. Yeah, why
can't they get me a Baja blast when I order it?

(40:46):
Just like, this is fantastic. This is a win for humanity.
This is a win for mankind. This ow to tell
you that there's hope for us when everybody else is
trying to write us off, when everybody else is pushing
all all these AI features and robots and self driving cars.
Human beings look a robot square of the eyes and

(41:07):
a drive through, kick it in the nuts and say
give me eighteen thousand cups of waters, you dummy. You
know what you think about it? Somebody probably deserves a
little bit of grace, a little bit of patience in
the world of football. I'll explain who that is coming
up here just a couple of moments from now. Jonas
Knox Fox Sports Radio. You can listen to this show

(41:27):
as always on the iHeartRadio app. You can find us
on hundreds of affiliates all across the country and wherever
you are making us a part of your Saturday afternoon,
we appreciate you doing so, as we take you all
the way up until the end of this hour four
pm Eastern time, one o'clock Pacific. And it does appear

(41:47):
like Ohio State in the under was the right side
of the betting market based on what we've got going
on in Columbus. Ohio State's got the football up fourteen
to nothing, clock is ticking, five minutes left to go
in the game. They're deep in their own territory. But
based on what we've seen from Texas's offense today in

(42:10):
arch Manning, this seems like a real long shot that
the long Horns can come back and win this game.
And look, arch Manning is gonna have to wear this.
He's not played well, he's not played up to expectations,
and as I said to open up the show, not surprising.
It's just not surprising because the expectations were so far

(42:33):
out of whack that anything less than him lighting Ohio
State on fire and throwing for five touchdowns is going
to be looked at as a disappointment, completely out of whack,
completely unrealistic, completely unfair, and now he's gonna have to
hear about it. You know, they're they're already posting his
Heisman odds have dropped, like dude, like he started two games,

(42:57):
two games, and when he finally gets the opportunity to
take over for Texas at quarterback, they open up the
year against the defending national champions, Like they open up
here and they've got and it's at the horseshoe. So
I'm not gonna sit here and you know, all of

(43:19):
a sudden say Arch Manning is a bust and that
this is ridiculous, and he could like, you know, I'll
let other people do that because I also wasn't the
same guy that was talking about Arch Manning is the next,
you know, next big thing, Heisman Trophy winner, tank for Arch,
all these other things that came along with it, Like
they were unrealistic expectations going into the game. And now

(43:40):
that we've seen the game, now you get a better understanding.
It's why I was making the point earlier. Man, it's
it's preseason rankings, preseason you know, awards face like all this,
Like you go into the year, like you really have
no idea, You just have no idea. Like I can
remember when I was in Charleston, South Carolina doing radio.

(44:00):
I remember one of the big stories that took place
there was College of Charleston. The basketball team beat North
Carolina and it was a huge deal because North Carolina
was fifth in the country and it was the biggest
win in the history of coc The College of Charleston
had never had a win like that, and so it
was like the big story storm and the core all

(44:22):
this stuff that came along with it. North Carolina was
in the n I T at the end of the year.
They were awful, Like they weren't good at all at all.
But like the reaction in real time and upon further
review are two different things. So the hype on arch
Manning and like in real time and upon further review,

(44:45):
you gotta find the middle. You gotta find the middle.
Like it he it was never gonna be up to
the expectations and it's probably never gonna be this bad.
You gotta find the middle. That's how you get to
a reason assessment of who arch Manning is as a quarterback.
And also give credit. Look Matt Patricia's Ohio State's defensive coordinator. Like,

(45:08):
they've done a hell of a job. So give credit
where credits to. These are two really good football teams.
These are two national championship contenders. It's the first game
of the year. You've got young players. It's not like
Jeremiah Smith, who's another Heisman candidate, has been lighting it
up today. He's at a drop like they tried to

(45:28):
throw him back on a punt return to get him involved.
Like so everybody just sometimes you got to calm down,
and you know, sometimes, believe it or not, people deserve
a little bit of a grace period. You know, even
in sports, even in the climate of hot takes when
it comes to sports, sometimes people deserve a little bit

(45:49):
of a grace period. You know who else deserves a
little bit of a grace period. Dion Sanders, coach Prime
in Colorado who lost last night at home to Georgia
tack and coach Prime Deon Sanders, spoke after the game

(46:10):
about his team's performance.

Speaker 7 (46:13):
We're definitely gonna be fine. I'm not concerned about that.
And we could won the game. It's not like we
got a butts kicked, Like we could have won that game.
They ran the heck out of the ball. They did that,
but we had opportunities, Like I'm pretty sure you guys
are harping on the opportunities that we didn't take advantage
of them. So if we take advantage of those opportunities,
I have a whole different mood up here right now.

(46:35):
So we got to get that fixed, and we will
get that fixed.

Speaker 1 (46:38):
So Deon Sanders still has some optimism despite the performance
last night against Georgia. Tack and look the clock management
down the stretch kind of puzzling, not really sure what
that was about. Felt like some valuable seconds ticked off
the clock when they had the ball late. But nonetheless
still got some optimism. And he's a guy, Dion Sanders,

(47:01):
who deserves a little bit of grace, much like arch
Manning does. He deserves a little bit of a grace period.
The problem is he's probably not going to get it
outside a boulder. And that's just the reality. And here too,
is the reality. This is his first year. Okay, first year,

(47:24):
let's just talk about the the on the field standpoint,
all right, first game, first year without the best player
in the country, arguably in Travis Hunter. Guy won the
Heisman last year, Okay, So for best player, first game
without him, right, If you think that doesn't matter, did

(47:46):
you see Boise State the other night without Ashton Genty?
Completely different? All right? So first game, first game without
the best player in the country. Okay. Also, first game,
first year without arguably one of the better quarterbacks in

(48:08):
the country in shad Or Sanders. Okay, first game, first
year without one of the better quarterbacks in the country
and maybe the best player in the country. And then
on a personal level, the first game without a body
part because he had his bladder removed because of a tumor. Okay. Oh,

(48:35):
and by the way, he's you know, first time without
coaching his sons and all that stuff. So from an
on field standpoint, missing valuable players that he had previously,
and from a personal standpoint, his sons aren't there owen.
And by the way, he lost another body part this offseason.
But hey, hey, coach Prime, you got to deliver, babe,

(48:59):
not on a you got to deliver. We need to
see growth, we need to see progress. You have seen progress.
It's why I always remind people. Let's not okay, just
so we're clear here, they were a one win team
before he took over. And a year later they had

(49:20):
rap concerts before games. They were the show. They were
the place to be. It was a who's who. It
looked like when USC was dominant during the Matt Lion
at Reggie Bush days to or you had celebrities on
the sidelines. That was the place to be Boulder, Colorado.
Dion Sanders did that. Because of Dion Sanders and what

(49:44):
he built at Colorado, the one hundred and forty fourth
pick of the draft in the NFL was the story
in the off season, in the preseason in the league.
He built that. So, yeah, there's probably gonna be some

(50:09):
downtimes at Colorado, you know, based on all that. Yeah,
there's probably gonna be some stuff that may not look
the same because it's not the same. Dion Sanders lost
great players and parts of his body and people are

(50:29):
like huh oh, yeah, oh yeah, I'm gonna get exposed now,
like okay, or hey, you know, give it a little time,
Like give it. It's gonna look a little different. They're
gonna try and adjust, and they're gonna try and figure
it out, and they will figure it out. And you
could even argue the fact that he's out there on

(50:51):
a sideline where there's a porta potty next to him,
because maybe he can't control whether or not he uses
the restroom or not in a timely manner, like maybe
we should commit, take a step back and kind of
reevaluate adding all those factors in. But the problem is
when people need a little bit of a grace period,

(51:13):
they don't get it. And Deon Sanders probably isn't gonna
get it. Like I said, anywhere outside of Boulder at
the Jonas Knox on X at Jonas Knox Show on
Instagram is where you can find the show. And we
do have a scoring review. In Columbus, there was a
touchdown throw from arch Manning. The call stands and Ohio

(51:36):
State has a fourteen to six lead. Now, so the
lead has now been cut fourteen to six Buckeyes three
twenty eight to go in the game as they try
and climb back into this one. So there you go. Now,
we will check and see whether or not arch Manning's
Heisman odds have gone back up yet, So we'll go
ahead and figure that out. Extra point pending there in Columbus,

(51:59):
as the Longhord try and cut the lead in half,
the ball is down, the kick is up. It is good.
Fourteen to seven buck Eyes with three minutes and change
left to go in the game. All right, so coming
up next year. I mean, look, they can tell you
whatever they want. They can spin it however they want.

(52:20):
Things have changed, Things have changed in the world of football.
With one franchise in the NFL, and I'll tell you
who that is right here, ont fsre Jonas Knox Fox
Sports Radio. Things are getting interesting. Things are getting very interesting.

(52:41):
In Columbus, Texas scored, cut the lead to fourteen to seven.
Ohio State got the ball back, weren't able to do anything.
Texas got to stop on third down. Texas has the
ball and arch manning with a thirty two We are
completion on the last play and the Texas Longhorns have

(53:07):
the football approaching midfield, so they are actually they're right
at their own forty five yard line with a first
down and we just hit the two minute warning there
in Columbus. So things are changing a little bit there.
We will keep you posted on that. We'll keep you
updated on how that game concludes. A game that started

(53:30):
well over three hours ago. By the way, just well
I want to point that out, well over three hours
ago that game started. But it's college football and they
don't care about your speeded up trend. All right, your
short attention span. We've all got short attention spans nowadays,
and college football is like na few. You're going to
watch this entire game, however long it takes. And they're right,

(53:51):
they're right. The number will be big at the end
of this, all right, So coming up here in a
little over we'll cut it a little over ten minutes
from now, we're going to have somebody in the note
judge a tribute on the show. All right, So somebody
in the no is going to judge a tribute on
the show. That'll be yours here again a little over
ten minutes from now. Dan writes in on social media, Hey,

(54:16):
boordop bleep, leave the football. Talk to actual men, not
bleeps like you. Stick to gossiping with your group of
bleeps about trap and Tay's wedding, her engagement ring, what
wedding dress she's gonna wear, and who will be invited,
you hole licking Bleepsucker. Peter writes in, Hey this beta bleep,

(54:44):
Jonas Knox. Here you are watching your new boy toy.
That's Southern hunk Arch Manning just your type you like
to bleep it out to, tall, wavy hair and a
prime body in that tight uniform checks all your bleep

(55:04):
boxes at the Jonas Knox on X. That'll also be
featured on Instagram and the IG stories a little bit
later on at Jonas Knox Show. On Instagram is where
you're going to see all the insulting tweets and responses

(55:27):
that have been sent in that we do not feel
comfortable sharing on X. So that'll be yours here on
social media at Jonas Knox Show. By the way, we
do have a big play in the Texas Ohio State
game at midfield. Third and five for Texas and a
drop on third and five would have been an easy
first down, and so now Texas is facing a fourth

(55:50):
and five there at Ohio State. They've got the ball
driving at midfield. For those of you just tuning in,
it's been a struggle on offense for most of the
game up until the previous drive in which Arch Manning
kind of found a little bit of a rhythm. He's
starting to find a little bit of a rhythm in

(56:10):
this drive. But now it comes down to a fourth
and five for Texas. They are trailing fourteen to seven,
a minute and a half left to go in Columbus
and arch Manning on fourth down fires and they do
is it short? It looks like they're going to be
short of the first down. He was being taken down
on a sack. He did complete the pass, but it

(56:32):
looks like Ohio State's going to hold. And it looks
like with one time out left for Texas that Ohio
State is going to survive. Figure out a way to
win this game as they are up fourteen to seven
with one twenty seven left to go in the game.
They're at Columbus. So we'll keep your posting. We'll give
you all the final details on that. Isaac Loancron, I'll
have that for you here coming up with our bottom
of the hour update. Now, I would say this, what's

(56:57):
interesting about the Mic Parsons trade is the overall view
of things. Okay, Now, if you miss this, Jerry Jones
is going to try and gaslight you a little bit here,
all right. He's going to try and tell you that
everybody was on the same page within the Cowboys organization

(57:21):
on the idea of yeah, let's go ahead and trade
our best player. I promise you Jerry Jones did that
it was a unanimous decision to make this deal today.

Speaker 2 (57:35):
Yes, who was involved in that process.

Speaker 8 (57:37):
The entire coaching and the representatives of the entire coaching
as well as our entire front office. Everyone that is
in Bob that has an interest in going forward, that
we counsel with. And as I've told you many times
of contrary to maybe something that's written, sometimes what I

(57:58):
really do get huge input and dialogue and opinions from
everybody in our organization.

Speaker 1 (58:07):
And this was unanimous. Clearly he does not. Clearly he
does not do that. That is gaslighting. That is not
the truth. Clearly he does not, because I can assure
you that there's you can't find a room of that
many people all in agreement of yeah, let's trade our
best player. Let's do that, let's trade him to another

(58:30):
team in the NFC, and let's get back somebody had
to help stop the run and two late first round
draft picks. And if that's the case, and everybody was
all in unison in agreement that hey, this is this
is the right move for the franchise and for the team.
If that is the case, Dallas has got problems. But

(58:51):
at some point somebody has also got to have this discussion.
All Right, we talk about dysfunction, and we talk about
dysfunctional franchises in the NFL. Right, talk about the Jets,
you talk about maybe the Panthers, Like there's obviously some
others that have been brought up, But you talk about

(59:12):
these organizations, these franchises, and you talk about dysfunction. You
talk about Washington back when Dan Snyder on the team.
And so one of the things that you need in
order to be viewed as dysfunctional is you need erratic turnover.
You need losing, and you need like a long time

(59:37):
between successes, okay, and you need an impulsive owner who
does kind of wild stuff that doesn't really make sense
to a lot. And so like you look around and
you know the teams that we mention, you can talk
about the Jets. Woodie Johnson gets buried constantly, rightfully, So

(59:59):
he's got his son who may or may not be
evaluating players in the draft based on Madden ratings and
everything else that came along with just like you know,
the Jets story. And on top of that, constant turnover coaches, players, quarterback,
like all of that just erratic behavior like that fits
the description like you had a Carolina David Tepper. David Tepper,

(01:00:23):
I mean constant turnover when it comes to head coaches,
when it comes to players, like you know, it's why
people feel like man Bryce Young got the short end
of the stick there and they haven't been good since
he's taken over. They just haven't. You had a Dan
Snyder in Washington. Of course, we know all the dysfunction there,
constant turnover, coaches fired, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera, all the losing,

(01:00:43):
all of that. If you look at Dallas like it's
we're getting close to the same thing here. And the
one thing that Dallas had and that Jerry Jones had
that was different than all those other dysfunctional places was

(01:01:05):
the fact that he wasn't impulsive, He was loyal. He
did stick by his guys, like how long did Jason
Garrett stay head coach? And Jerry Jones wouldn't fire him,
He wouldn't Mike McCarthy like he was. He wouldn't move
on with Mike mccarth. There's a lot of people that
thought Mike McCarthy was going to be gone after that

(01:01:26):
loss to the Packers in the playoffs where they got destroyed. No,
he came back. He does reward his own He pays
Dak Prescott, Ceedee Lamb got paid, Zeke got paid like
all of like. He rewards that. He was a loyal dude.
And that's why you look at him and you go, hey,

(01:01:47):
that's that's a loyal guy. He's not like those other guys.
He's not a no, we're going to turn and burn
it quickly. Oh we didn't get incidant results, We're going
to turn and burn it. No, no, no, no. He actually
sticks by his guys until now. That's why you had
Dak Prescott say listen, we're going to get it done.
Everything's going to get done. That's why you've got Ceedee
Lamb going to social media when Michael Parsons asked for

(01:02:09):
the trade and says, look, just get the deal done.
Why all the extra curriculars. What are we doing here?
That's why so many people dismissed the idea of Michael
Parson's getting dealt Everybody felt, hey, listen, a deal's going
to get done. It's the cowboys. They always do that
until now. The one thing that separated Jerry Jones from

(01:02:31):
Woody Johnson and David Tepper and Dan Snyder and all
these the one thing from a football standpoint, not the
off the field stuff, from a football standpoint, the one
thing that separated him from everybody else was he's not impulsive.
He is loyal, He does reward his own, and he
appreciates his own. Until now, but we are now entering

(01:02:56):
into Woody Johnson, David Tepper, Dan Snyder from a football standpoint,
I want to reiterate, we're now entering into that territory.
And look, I made the point the day after this
week on Fox Sports Radio. I said, look, this feels

(01:03:17):
like the end of the Al Davis era with the Raiders.
It kind of you kind of looked at some of
the moves and you're like a little head scratching here,
a little a little strange, and this is one of them.
And I'm just wondering if we are now at the
point to where while we talk and criticize and take
shots at teams like the Jets and maybe teams like

(01:03:39):
the Panthers, and when it was Washington, when Dan Snyder
was there, the stuff with the Cowboys has always been
because well it's it's been three decades since they won,
like it has and now we're starting to talk about
not rewarding your own making impulsive decisions like this one,

(01:04:04):
and then trying to sell everybody on the direction of
the organization when it's clear they're heading in the wrong
way and heading in the wrong path. And Jerry Jones
is at the helm and if Jerry Jones wants to
sit here and sell you and gaslight you that, oh,
we were in unison on this and we talk to
everybody about that. I can assure you there are people

(01:04:27):
within that building, not just players, that are looking around
going what the f are we doing? What is going
on here? None of this makes sense. We are more
resembling the Jets than we are America's team at the
Jonas Knox on X at Jonas Knox Show on Instagram.

to get an honest assessment of a tribute in the
world of sports from somebody in the know. That'll be
yours here on FSR. But for all the latest, including

(01:05:11):
the final details from what went down and what went
final in Columbus a short time ago, the one and
only Sir Isaac.

Speaker 5 (01:05:20):
Blohmber and it has just gone final. Jonas number three
Ohio State defeating number one Texas fourteen to seven. The
story in the game the Ohio State defense. They held
Texas to five out of fourteen on third downs, one
out of five on fourth downs, zero for two in
the red zone. Texas quarterback arch matting today seventeen of

(01:05:43):
thirty four, one hundred and seventy yards, one touchdown, one interception.
Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin's forty yard touchdown pass to
Carnell Tait two minutes into the fourth quarter would wind
up being the difference in the game. Elsewhere. Right now,
twenty four Tennessee holding on to what thirty eight to
twenty six lead over Syracuse. They have eleven minutes left

(01:06:06):
to play in the fourth quarter. Number twenty Indiana has
just taken a ten to seven lead over Old Dominion
five minutes in the second quarter, and just getting ready
to kick off. It's number two Penn State playing host
to Nevada. One Major League Baseball game going on right now,
bottom of the second inning in Toronto. The Blue Jays
and Milwaukee Brewers are scoreless. Jonas, I even have a

(01:06:30):
NASCAR update for you, and you alone. Corey Heim won
today's Craftsman Truck Series event at Darlington Raceway. And the
reason I'm relating this to you is that the name
of the race is perhaps the most unique in racing.
Sponsored by the South Carolina Department of Public Safety in
order to promote safe driving. It's called the Sober or

(01:06:53):
Slammer two hundred. I mean that stands out, the Sober
or Slammer two hundred.

Speaker 1 (01:07:00):
How was the Grand Marshall? Was it Jordan Addison?

Speaker 5 (01:07:03):
That's actually very clever. That's a very good ad lib.
By the way, no word yet.

Speaker 1 (01:07:08):
I don't think he made it down there to drive
the Pace Wait, if he did, he wasn't driving.

Speaker 5 (01:07:14):
Yeah, I wonder if the pace car for the Sober
or the Pace truck weaves in and out of the roadway.

Speaker 1 (01:07:21):
If you will Finally, George, we'd love to give you
the job, but you know you.

Speaker 5 (01:07:27):
Did not pass the test drive. Finally, I'm ashamed to
admit that we have no further clarity on what is
by far our top story today, and that is the
apparent left nipple piercing by Ohio State head coach Ryan Day.
He was sadly but perhaps not surprisingly sadly not asked
about it during the postgame on field interview. Meanwhile, I

(01:07:50):
did you a deep dive into where someone on social
media claimed he had this done evolved body art with
three convenient Columbus location to serve you, including one eight
tenths of a mile from the Ohio State football facility. Right,
does that sound suspicious to you? Look, I'm just gonna

(01:08:12):
go because I don't want to wait around for the facts.
I'd rather just you know, fire off my opinion. I'm
gonna go with he at a nipple piercing.

Speaker 1 (01:08:18):
It's a bar. It's it's very obvious. And you know
he wanted to freshen up his look a little in
the offseason. You know, he's a national champion. I think
he got a new contract, like he wants to, you know,
freshen things up a little bit.

Speaker 5 (01:08:29):
A fourth theory is that he made a secret promise
to get a nipple piercing slash bar if Ohio State
won the national championship. And one final note about Evolved
bodyyard with three convenient Columbus locations to serve you, Jonas there.
Piercers are members of the app the Association of Professional Piercers.

(01:08:56):
Find them online at Safepiercing dot org. I had no
idea there was a thing called the Association of Professional
Piercers the app.

Speaker 1 (01:09:07):
Back to come on, I load, you're out down with app.
But I'm just curious where Evolved Body art will rank
in the app poll. Back to Isaac, have you ever
read a I thought that was a funny ad lib. No,
I mean it was, But like now I'm like, my
mind is racing because I'm down to like all these

(01:09:27):
you know, I'm starting to think about something. But like,
have you ever had a piercing No?

Speaker 5 (01:09:31):
But I do have a chick hern tattoo as an
homage to the late Great Lakers broadcaster in an unvisible area.

Speaker 1 (01:09:40):
No kidding, Oh what are we? What are we talking about?
Where is it at?

Speaker 5 (01:09:43):
In a place that is a an area that is
typically covered by clothing ninety nine point nine percent of
the time.

Speaker 1 (01:09:53):
Do you want me to text you a picture later?
Like you're ass what we We're just gonna have to
leave it in your imagination. I can't. Why can't you
just tell me where the tattoo is.

Speaker 5 (01:10:02):
I just offered to take a picture of it and
send it to you if you promise not to post
it on social media.

Speaker 1 (01:10:07):
Yeah, I'm not going to post on social media. But
there's people listening all across the country, a hundreds of affiliates.
Radio Ray could fill them. Man, radio is theater of
the mind. I've already said enough like your chest, your back,
your crotch, your inner thigh. One of those four is

(01:10:28):
on the right track. All right. Chick Hern was a
great announcer. I'll just leave it at that. So chick
Hern on your inner thigh. That's something man. So basically
every time, like every time you're you're showering, chick Hearn's
like you can just hear Chickenn's voice going, oh, the
butter's in the fridge, yellows chicken and slam doc. That

(01:10:50):
was pretty much the intent of it.

Speaker 5 (01:10:52):
Yeah, yeah, all right, well that's hey, Now that's what
I call evolved body art.

Speaker 1 (01:10:58):
I would agree. Good for you. There we go the
things you learn on this show. By the way, Isaac,
I wanted to get your opinions on it. Were you okay?
You are a broadcast historian, like you're a broadcaster. You
appreciate legendary broadcasters. Myself not saying me, I'm saying I
do as well.

Speaker 5 (01:11:14):
No, I was saying that you are already a legendary broadcaster.

Speaker 1 (01:11:18):
Definitely. Not definitely, that is not the case. But I'm
so legendary that when I fill in on a five
seventy l A Sports with Fred Rogan and Rodney Pete,
every guest calls me Jonah or Jason. That's how legendary
I am. I'll tell you everything you do and that's
true story. But how do you think the tribute to
Lee Corso went? Were you? Were you good with that?

(01:11:40):
Were you the fact that Fox also you know, went
into and covered the Lee cours So putting on the
mascot head for the final time and his final broadcast
legendary career for Lee Coorso? Like, how were you okay
with how they celebrated him today? I was.

Speaker 5 (01:11:57):
I thought it was very fitting and a great tribute
that corporate rivalries were put aside for this, For that gesture.

Speaker 1 (01:12:06):
I thought it was disappointing. Really do tell he should
have picked Texas? Why he wound up being right? I mean,
he obviously knew something we didn't, but that's not the point.
The point is, if you're gonna go out, go out
with the bag, you know what I mean. Like, and
it was just it was so he's gonna put on

(01:12:27):
the if he would have pulled like like all of
a sudden, they've got him, you know, he rides out
on Beavo and Matthew McConaughey and him were doing hook
him horns. That's what I'm talking about. I just felt
like it could have been better, like legendary career what
they listen, they did a great job. I just felt
like there was an opportunity to be a full blown
wrestling heel. They took the safe route.

Speaker 5 (01:12:48):
And that would have been the That would have been
the riding off into the sunset memory. See that's something
that you that's the type of thing that you would
have done, because that's kind of your mo is to
be the that's a villain, the vampire. If you that
is correct, yeah, missed opportunity by Corso what can we say?

Speaker 1 (01:13:02):
Yeah, well, I think you had a hell of a
run anyways, So there it is, Thank you, Ilo. It
is Jonas Knox here on Fox Sports Radio, at the
Jonas Knox on X and at Jonas Knox Show on Instagram.
I will be posting those coming up here in the
next couple of minutes on Instagram. If you go over
there on the ig stories of at Jonas knock Show,

(01:13:22):
you will see the insulting tweets that were sent by
including somebody attacks attached a picture of a dog in
one of these that is really revolting, but it does
have a WNBA tie in, if you know what I mean.
So we'll get into that for you if you want
to check that out on Instagram. And as we close
up shop, we will have another edition of the Scraps
next here on Fox Sports Radio toally Jonas Knox Fox

(01:13:49):
Sports Radio by the way, coming up a little over
ten minutes from now, make sure you stick around. Tracy
Sandler Nikki k will take over the airwaves. They will
have you covered all things college football, including a recap
of a big game that took place fourteen to seven
win for the Buckeyes over the Longhorns win final a
short time ago, so make sure you stick around for

(01:14:10):
that here on FSR. By the way, if you've missed
any of today's show, including a deep dive into whether
or not a national champion has a nipple piercing, you'll
want to catch the podcast. Just search Fox Sports Radio
wherever you get your podcasts. Right after the show, today's

(01:14:31):

if you want to follow along on Instagram, I have

(01:14:52):
posted the insulting tweets that were sent over earlier. You
can go to the Instagram account at Jonas knock Show.
It's in these stories. They are posted unedited. You can
see all these stuff we had to bleep out here
on the air, but those will be yours on Instagram
at Jonas Knox Show. That is at Jonas Knox show
on Instagram where you can find that. Right now, though,

(01:15:14):
we close up shop with this, Jonas.

Speaker 2 (01:15:16):
You moron, how could you not get to these stories?

Speaker 1 (01:15:20):
You morons are the scraps. And for that we turn
it over to our executive producer, Bo Benzon to find
out what the hell we've missed so far.

Speaker 9 (01:15:28):
Bo Well, Jonas, you mentioned it, Arch Manning and Texas
Number one Texas they lost in the Horseshoe to oh
number three Ohio State. Ohio State picks up its first
home win against ap number one since nineteen eighty five
when they beat and you're not going to believe this
number one Iowa. Really Yeah. On the flip side, Texas

(01:15:50):
is the first preseason number one to lose their season
opener since nineteen ninety But the number one Iowa a
phrase that I never thought I would ever utter on.

Speaker 1 (01:16:00):
I know, Like that's that's like, you know there's people
that are that were just born like like within the
last fifteen years and you tell them, man, like the
Bulls were a dynasty, Like Bulls, what are you talking about?

Speaker 8 (01:16:11):
The Bulls?

Speaker 1 (01:16:13):
They still play like no, yeah, literally, they've like everybody
was a fan of the Bulls, like like could not
have the world. Everybody was a fan of the Bulls. Yeah,
they've just been awful for so long. But you don't
even remember those days. If you just came around, I
will say this speaking of you know, uh, get week
one and struggles in week one. If LSU gets wiped

(01:16:35):
out by Clemson later on tonight, Brian Kelly is going
to hear it again. Now this one I can justify.
Like this one, you could justify. They're going to They're
going to another death valley. They're going to be in
Clemson taking on the fourth ranked team in the country,
a dark horse national champion contender with another quarterback who's

(01:16:57):
in the the Heisman odds race at least early on
in Club Nick. If they lose that game, I can
you can justify that one. The problem is when you've
lost the previous three and you're coaching at a place
like that, the patients, you know, might start to wane
a little bit there for Brian Kelly's.

Speaker 9 (01:17:13):
Yeah, well yeah, you might see a new shade of
red from Brian Kelly tonight if they had no kid
get blown out.

Speaker 1 (01:17:19):
Yeah, like him and like Tom Coughlin's another one, like
there's just people that fire up real quick.

Speaker 9 (01:17:26):
Tom Coughlin in that that playoff game in Green Bay
was fascinating.

Speaker 1 (01:17:31):
Oh, he was melting. It was insane. Yeah, he's melting.

Speaker 9 (01:17:34):
He was passed the point of frost by Luka Doncic
had thirty nine points, eight rebounds, nine a sists in
Slovenia's lost today to France and EuroBasket. I don't know
if you saw the video, but a French player like
went to dap up Luca at the end of the
game and drove to the hoop when nobody was looking
and scored and that took it from a nine point

(01:17:54):
lead for France to an eleven point lead for France.
So there are probably some degenerates out there that are
pretty pissed off about that Anario happening.

Speaker 1 (01:18:00):
But oh was it a what was the line?

Speaker 9 (01:18:03):
I'm not sure what the line was, but that probably
tilted it in somebody's favor.

Speaker 1 (01:18:09):
I would imagine, you know, you know what I love about,
like bad beats and all that. So like when Scott
van Pelt, Like, what made that segment so great when
Scott van Pelt came up with it is that there
was only the real sickos understood what it meant like
the people that Like when he came out with bad
Beats and I saw, I was like, oh, that's brilliant, Like,
oh that is and that's something that you could only

(01:18:29):
do on television when you show the highlights. It would
be too hard to portray on radio. But in television
it was a brilliant idea because it showed who the
sick bastards were that have lived in that world and
dealt with those problems for as long as they have.
And now with so many things to bet on, somebody's
getting the shaft every week, Like every week, somebody's getting

(01:18:49):
screwed over. It's just and you know, like we've got
a I don't want to you know, kill any spoilers here,
but we are going to identify and start doing a
new segment in the NFL season on our show. I
don't want to give away any spoilers, but it kind
of ties into that, but it ties into something that
everybody partakes in when it comes to this time around,

(01:19:10):
and you literally like there's content for days because there's
so many things to bet on that that eventually you'll
find somebody getting the screwjob.

Speaker 9 (01:19:17):
What else we go bo the bat that was tossed
into the air by a New Jersey Little leaguer after
he'd hit a home run, earned him a suspension that
was later lifted by a judge. That bat was sold
at auction on Friday for almost ten thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (01:19:30):
Oh my god, Doude, Like, what is this word? Like
this auction collectible world where people just have expendable cash.
Could you imagine that like having ten thousand dollars lying
around and just buying, Like I'm gonna buy a little
leaguer's bat, you know, just I don't know a bo
I don't know about you. You know what, I'd probably
you know, buy my daughter something or you know, like

(01:19:52):
maybe maybe buy my kids something, But instead I'm gonna
go buy a little leaguer's bat. Doesn't make any sense.
Thank you to Bo Benson. Thank you Chris Perffett, thank
you to Isaac loh and Kron and thank you for
everybody who listened here on Fox Sports Radio, shownas Son
of a Bitch.
