Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Live in the Dream once again on the first full Sunday,
twenty twenty five NFL season. Welcome to in Zone Radio
on the Fox Sports Radio studios. And this show is
sponsored by Drafts. Stay tuned because you're gonna hear more
about DraftKings and all it has to offer throughout the show, DraftKings,

(00:25):
the crown is yours. We are about to kick off
eight games right now here. They are Buccaneers at the Falcons,
Bengals at the Browns, Dolphins at the Colts, Raiders at
the Patriots, Cardinals at the Saints, Stealers at the Jets,
Giants at the Commanders, and Panthers at the Jaguars, the
gangas Hall here Moncey Bo Chris, and yes, indeed the

(00:48):
great VJ. Husky is here for his maiden voyage here
on now in Zone Radio. I don't have to ask
you about your excitement. You're jumping through the walls just
like I am right now. But here we are first
full Sunday of NFL football.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Absolutely, man, let's go. I got my football in my hand,
I got my NFL authentic football in here. The cruise
all in here. We are loaded. No more preseas like,
no more talking. Here's the thing. We've had two games.
We've had two games already, but it just still feels different.
First Sunday mornings.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
You got to have the football, by the way, You've
got to have a physical football. He's got it, and
he's got it wired it is and that's that's the
real deal right there. You know you mentioned the two
games already in the books. Wow, I mean all the
buzz with the opening game with the spid and the
Eagles and the Cowboys. By the way, you and I
both think the Cowboys could be better and people expect
the key there. I've said this, the return to Dak

(01:41):
Prescott has has a much bigger effect on the Cowboys
than the loss of Michael Parsons. He played well, not
quite well enough to win. And then how about Justin Herbert,
a guy you're touteam. I'm hesitant, but look, I'm a believer.
After that first game, he could not have played better.
He was the best quarterback on the field as the
Chargers finally snapped that seven game losing streak to the

(02:04):
Kansas City Chiefs.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Yeah, not only that, Jim Harball, just say the team
is different. Okay, they they're faster, they're bigger, they're more
physical the point of attack on both sides of the football.
This is what Jim Harball does, is what he's done
from University of San Diego. It's what he did in Stanford,
is what he did in San Francisco, Michigan, and now
he is doing the same thing in year two. Dare

(02:27):
I say if it's weak one, of course we get exciting,
we get over zealous, and we make these big predictions.
But barring any major, big injury, they area lost later.
But one of those other big guys, Derwin Keenan him
one of the running backs go down eight or nine games,
there's no reason why they can't be in the AFC
Championship game with the way that I saw them pretty
much push Patrick Mahomes in that offense around all over

(02:49):
the field Friday night. So I'm that big on it,
but kudos to Harball.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
We have a couple of very interesting quarterback matchups today.
I mean, I'm watching this game right now there Underway,
the Jets and the Steelers. It's a swapping of quarterbacks
from where they were a year ago. Justin Fields was
the starting quarterback for the Steelers to open the season.
Aaron Rodgers starting quarterback for the Jets to open the season.
Now those roles have flipped, so we got that matchup.

(03:15):
And of course Joe Flacco, age forty, eighteenth year in
the NFL, will be the starting quarterback today for the
Browns as they host the Cincinnati Bengals. How long he's
gonna last we will have to see. Also, this matchup
between the Falcons and the Buccaneers probably the marquis early matchup.

(03:35):
I mean, we talk about how weak the NFC South is,
but these are the two teams that figure to battle
it out in that division for the division crown. So
right now we're just waiting for that first score of
the game. You could just get the sense of excitement
once again with the NFL VJ. We wait and wait
and wait as soon as the NFL season starts. I

(03:56):
can tell you this our own experience all the years
on this show. You know, you get Week one, it's
like wow, all right, lots going on right now, and
the next thing you know, it's a Super Bowl champions
been crowned, Like what happened?

Speaker 1 (04:07):
The season? Yeah, it goes so fast, man, But that's
why it's so important for these players to be prepared,
coaching staff to be prepared, like this is it. Now
you got your fifty three man rosters. Nobody's there's no
more storylines of contracts and off the field stuff unless
something happens going into the year. But today is the
day where all the bs gets put aside and it's
just it's all about football. What type of preparation did

(04:28):
you do in OTA's and mini camp? Who showed up?
Who didn't show up? Who's this gruntle who was locked in?
Like it's gonna all start to prout today, and to
mention some of these games you've mentioned right here, there's
a couple of upsets that I think are brewing today.
An upset alert. I like the Jets are a plus three.
I definitely think they cover. They're at home. I'm not
impressed with the Steelers this year. I think they're gonna
finish under five hundred. And then also this Cincinnati Cleveland game.

(04:51):
The defensive are they travel and they're good earlier in
the year, they're ahead of the offense in Cleveland has
even though they're home, they have a great defense. I
think they can pull an upset here today. Also, so
I think it's a lot of great football, a lot
of great matchups, a lot of storylines. You mentioned these
two quarterbacks, and we.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
Have our first score of the game in world Atlanta
Falcons get into the end zone. Michael Pennix to Bjhon
Robinson fifty yards short pass that he turned into a
long run and into the end zone. One of the
premier running backs in the league. So that is the
first score of this Sunday. Bjeon Robinson on the receiving

(05:29):
end of a fifty yard touchdown pass for Michael PENNOCKX junior,
a guy that I am predicting. I picked the Falcons
to win this division. Extra point is good. So seven nothing.
Falcons get the early start against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
And this is a guy, Michael PENNOCKX junior. A lot
of questions why the Falcons would sign Kirk Cousins to
a huge deal and at the same time he was

(05:49):
a top ten draft pick. On Pennix, I love this kid.
I loved him. You know, it's only about health, right,
he had all those injuries in Indiana, was healthy at
the University of washing In close runner up for the
Heisman Trophy, and that's a good start for him. Obviously
here in twenty twenty.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
Five and speaking to Bjeon Robinson, you see it right here.
He was my first touchdown pick for this game. So
I cash that in right there. I also got it
with plus ninety yards that's at the plus one to
fifty nine. So you can make some money right there,
because it looks like he's on his way to that.
But you're right with Michael Pennocks and and this team
has weapons. We talked about them before with Drake Lennon
and Bejon and some of the other offensive weapons. So

(06:26):
a great little hitch pass right there, then he just
shows why he is Bjon Robinson. May guy's missing the
open field. Take it to the house, all right.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Jets right now are moving. They're in the red zone
on this opening drive against the Steelers. And this game
so far, as far as the Jets's concerned, has been
about their running game. With Bryce Hall three carries thirty
yards out of the box, so they're running the ball effectively.
Justin Fields has only thrown one pass so far in
this game, but they're running the ball effectively against the

(06:55):
Steelers defense.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Well, yeah, they're going to run the football. Do you
want to keep justin fans clean as possible. But you
know they still got TJ. Watt. They got some horses
over here on their defense side of the ball. They
traded for Jalen Ramsey. You got Hayward like they got
some studs definitely on this side of the ball here.
But I agree with this. I'm all about running a
ball early in the year, Steve, run the football, let
your offense warm up into the big explosive place.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
We have another touchdown. Trey Tucker gets in the end
zone on the receiving end of a Gino Smith pass
and the Raiders take the early six to nothing lead,
penning the extra point right now. So Tucker twenty six
yard touchdown reception, Gino Smith opening drive, three of four
fifty eight yards and a score. By the way, Ashton
Genty the rookie, we're both expecting him to have big

(07:39):
numbers this year. Two carries thirteen yards quick math, that's
six and a half yards of carry. This kid is
going to be something special. And we just talked about
this in the offseason. When you talk about upgrades, upgrade
at quarterback, upgrade at running game. You added Davante Adams
I'm sorry. That's with the Rams when you add guys
pieces with genty and and Gino Smith at quarterback. I

(08:02):
don't know if any team has had more upgrade at
key positions than the Raiders that have had in the
offseason and all. The problem for the Raiders is the
division they're playing in. It's loaded, maybe the biggest coaching
division of all time when you look at Pete Carroll
and you look at Jim Harbaugh and you look at
Sean Payton. Obviously with any Reid, it's gonna be loading
the AFC West. But yeah, the Raiders get off to

(08:24):
a quick seven to nothing lead on the road against
the New England Patriots.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
Well, I don't expect a lot from the Patriots this
year when you and I have talked about that with
Drake Mayn just the changes there and you bring in
Stephan Diggs. But the Raiders, I really feel like they
can be seven and ten or they can be eleven
and six. Like they It's Pete Carroll, right, So it's
just like Harball. When Pete Carroll shows up, it changes immediately,

(08:49):
and it's in the fundamentals of football. It's not the
glamour stuff. It's the blue collar in the trench's work,
the tackling, the formations, the block, the getting off blocks,
the stuff that causes plays to either work or don't work.
He's really good at changing and they got a beast
running back there. You love Gino. I think Gino's one
of the most accurate guys in the league. Absolutely, people

(09:10):
just don't give him credit for some reason. This is
a guy that's been a like a really good journeyman.
I mean, he's a curt and Cousin's kind of a
guy where you either like him and you don't. And
I get if you don't, but I still kind of
question why you don't, because what has he ever done
that wrong for you not to like the guy. So
kudos to them for going up there. They're on the road.
It's really weird too, remember not under five hundred for
teams that go from the West coast city East coast

(09:32):
to play that one pm Eastern kickoff ten. It's a
different vibe. And know only those teams don't fare so well.
But the Raiders are off to a quick start.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
All right.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Your Dolphins and I'll refer to him as his Dolphins.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
J is a die hard.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
They're down three nothing as Daniel Jones led the Colts
down the field on a field goal drive. So the
Colts take the early three nothing late on their opening drive.
Another team that ended up with a field goal are
the Jets. We were talking about them with their running
game again, only one pass on that opening Jets settle
for the field goal for the early three nothing lead

(10:04):
against the Steelers. So we got some scoring going on
early on. Only games without a score so far. Jaguars, Panthers,
a Giants, Commander's Saints, Cardinals. There may not be any
score in that game, by the way, I mean that
is just the dog game of the week.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Cardinals score. I mean, I mean it's Cardinals are gonna score,
all right.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Bengals on their opening drive right now, Joe Burrow four
of five thirty eight yards and they are in the
red zone. They got a third and one situation right
now against now now they just got a first down.
So the Bengals are driving against the Browns and they
have now a first down at the Cleveland thirteen yard line.

(10:43):
All right, we are off and running. You get a
little sense of what end zone. Ready, If you're like,
what is going on right now? This is what we're
gonna give you. We're gonna give you the scores. We're
gonna give you the stats, We're gonna give you the analysis.
And Yes, v Day has got some prime picks for
you throughout the show today on games, later on touchdowns,
who's gonna score touchdowns? We got it all covered. This

(11:06):
is end Zone Radio.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
Pennix and the Fistol on second and five, Tampa.

Speaker 6 (11:51):
Showing four on the line and six in the box.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
In motion comes Washington Pennix a play Faith looks Michael
from a pocket, got near side. Here's Robinson, he get
the first down.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Forty thirty five thirty Butson twenty five to twenty fifteen, ten.

Speaker 7 (12:07):
Touch down in lander.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Words. Now here's a fifty yard pass and Pashon Robinson
houses it. That's ninety two to nine in the game.
Falcons or radio network. Falcons have the ball and a
seven to nothing lead ten minutes to go in the
first quarter against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This is End

(12:51):
All right, just update you on the games right now.
We mentioned Falcons with a seven to nothing lead over
the Buccaneers. Bengals on a Chase Brown touchdown run lead
the Brown seven to nothing. Colts with that three to
nothing lead over the Dolphins. Raiders, seven nothing over the Patriots,
no score with the Cardinals and Saints. The Steelers have
just scored Aaron Rodgers a touchdown pass that we get

(13:15):
the touchdown pass receiver. We'll get to that in a second.
Steelers now lead the Jets by a score of seven
to three. No score for the Commanders and the Giants.
Commanders though, have the ball first and ten at the
Giants twelve yard line, and the Jaguars get on the
board first three nothing field goal there against the Panthers.
By the way, just getting back to this Steelers Jets game,

(13:37):
and again this is Aaron Rodgers at quarterback. Could not
look any better on that opening drive, four or five
passing sixty two yards and a touchdown pass to Scaronik
Scaronik so Ben Skarnik right there, twenty two yards, So
right now, at least opening drive, Aaron Rodgers comes out firing.

(13:57):
Looks good against that Jets defense.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
Yeah, I mean, you know, he's probably got to have
a little bit of you know, anima seeing him today.
I'm pretty sure the Jets are, you know, they're amped
up to play him too, So I do expect this
to be a very competitive game. I just think the
Jets being at home and being able to run the ball,
they can wait. They came with Berees Hall, and I
think justin fields his feet can make a player two
in the second half to prolong a drive or pick

(14:20):
up a third and long for a force down to
keep a drive going, put him in field goal range.
I just love the plus three when I saw this
at a plus one thirty foot the Jets, so I
just went ahead and it took one of them as
one of my underdolls. But I do expect this to
be a good game.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
One of the big question marks going into this year
is Jennon Daniels a superstar rookie season by every measure,
coming off his Heisman Trophy winning season at LSU, and
will there be a little come down this year? I mean,
some people are say that, you know what happened to CJ.
Stroud a year ago. We've seen it a few times.
You know, we have that great rookie season, take a

(14:52):
little bit of a step back. Well, I'll tell you what.
So far, he looks pretty good. For a six pass,
he's sixty four yards, also run for twenty yards. He
already has eighty four yards from scrimmage and where we
are six minutes into the game. So Jayde and Daniels
is off and running. Right now, the Commanders are driving
against the New York Giants and chorus the story there

(15:12):
is Russell Wilson is the starting quarterback. I guess you
know we have a lot we're talking about the Browns.
You know, how long is it gonna take before they
replaced Flaka?

Speaker 1 (15:21):
What you gut?

Speaker 2 (15:21):
On the Giants right now with Russell Wilson, with Jackson
Dart waiting in the wings.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
The only thing and I have a good feeling about
the New York Football Giants is that they have the
first coach that's going to be fired this year, and
Brian Daboom and I think both of us agree with that.
We mentioned in our preview show last week. But Jane
and Daniels, I want to focus on that because we're
having this debate for the last two weeks. Some quarterbacks
got to take a sophomore slump, right The only two

(15:46):
quarterbacks that could probably do so would be either Bo
Nicks or Jayne and Daniels because it's not gonna be
Caleb Williams. He didn't even make the playoffs. Last year,
JJ McCarthy was out right, and Michael Pennis got the
late start, and then Drake May didn't have a good year.
So none of those guys could really have in a
sophomore slump. Now there's a lot of people, including the
man here you said you're gonna call him my Dolphins,
I'm calling him your Broncos because you're picking them to

(16:08):
win that division. You're taking them to be in the
AFC Championship Game, but you picked them to win the division. Also, yes,
all right, this so AFC chim game and division. So
when we talk about sophomore slump, people keep thinking it's
gonna be Jaden Daniels. And to your point, he's also
a hot start. Albeit the Giants, I don't know what
they have a lot of this year, but I know
the coach is getting fired, I know that for sure.

(16:29):
But I don't I think this guy's gonna repeat what
he did last year. I think they're gonna be just fine.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
Yeah. Right now, again, the Commanders are at the Giants
twelve yard line. There's eight minutes ago in the first
quarter of that game, justin fields right now, and the
Jets after the Steelers scored down seven to three. What
do you think is gonna happen here with fields in
New York? Is he gonna win this job? Is he
gonna hold this job? Or we're gonna finally see some

(16:56):
stability at the quarterback position for the New York Jets.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
It all depends on, honestly, how this season goes. If
the Jets some way, somehow get to between eight to
ten wins, that's what it would have to take for
them to look and go, okay, you know what, we
got to none and eight with the guy, which means
you're not gonna have a top ten pick. You're probably
gonna be picking in the early teens the mid teens. Right,
So one of the quarterbacks that's coming out now, if

(17:21):
you fall in love with a guy and he falls
at twelve, thirteen, fourteen, you snatch him up. But now
he's got to come in and actually earn it, because
you can't take a guy away to win you nine
ten games and bring a rookie in and start him.
You have the running game you got Garrett Wilson. I
just think how this year goes. Now. If this thing
flutters into six and eleven, five and twelve, they are
one hundred percent moving on. They are one hundred percent

(17:41):
rebuilding from the quarterback position because the defense is gonna
be fine with Aaron Glenn's the head coach.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
One team a lot of people think could make a
big move forward this year is the New England Patriots.
So far, it's not happening. How about this total yards
Raiders leading to the Patriots seven to nothing. Raiders have
one hundred and twenty six total yards. The Patriots have two.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Yeah, I mean so.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
They're opening drive was two one yard runs at an
incomplete pass. That was it for the start of the
New England page. But a lot of people VJ are thinking, Hey,
the Pats, you know they're going to be an improved
team this year. Obviously they made a change of coach.
You bring in a guy that's got credentials as a coach,
he's got roots with that organization. But the reality is

(18:21):
they just don't have a lot of talents.

Speaker 7 (18:24):
Rave you were just talking about. But Jaden and Daniels
threw his first touch out of the year to zach Ertz.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
All right there it is zach Ertz on the receiving
end as Jayden Daniels gets the Commanders on the board,
Honorable the venerable zach Ertz. Zach Ertz. And by the way,
we have no miss extra points so far. That's been
one of the features here on the show over the years.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
VJ.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
Who's going to miss that first er? They're about to
kick the extra per No, No, it's already good. I
told you right down the middle there it is all right.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
So I'd be a cool bet though, who missed the
first extra point? This joy? I write that one.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
Down seven to nothing, Commanders now lead the Giants. By
the way, the Cardinals got a field goal so that
they taken early three to nothing lead against the Saints.
We have had people here on the station predict that
the Saints will go oh and seventeen this year. They're
opening drive Spencer Rattler, oh for two passing one run
for three yards, so that team is off and running.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
Oh in seventeen. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls that
are listening. The person he is talking about you hear
his voice is me right now? A r oh. And
I don't see them winning and Chris and seventeen, I
don't see them winning one football game.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
And the Jets have just scored a touchdown Garrett Wilson
on the receiving end from.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
Justin Bies Jets.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
Jets, Wow, who thought that this is going to be
a shootout game so far between the Jets and the Steelers.
So there it is the touchdown reception Garrett Wilson, Justin Fields,
perfect pass right there on the money, and the Jets
retake the lead. Fields by the way, perfect four for
four passing to start this game. I mentioned Breis hall
off to a great start thirty eight yards on the

(19:58):
ground on just five care and again when you talk
about a receiver like Garrett Wilson, remember when you know,
when Aaron Rodgers got to the Jets, he looked around
and he saw this young talent, Garrett Wilson had been
offensive rookie of the Year and he goes, I can't
wait to start throwing in the ball. Then he had
the injury and everything else. Garrett Wilson, by the way,
thirty three yard touchdown reception.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
There and there is there, it is there, it is
you know it would be them. Hold on, there's a flag,
you might get another shot.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
Hold on the flag on it. But Nick Volt right
there just missed the extra point for the Jets. Let's
see what the flag is all about. It never fails.
VJA talk about something and then it happens. It's illegal procedure.
Await on the defense.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
It's an illegal formation because you can't line up over
certain guys.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
It again, so they illegal formation. They're going to get
a replay on this extra point so folks can redeem himself. Meanwhile,
the Browns guys, they're driving right now. They have a
second and seven at the Bengals twenty yard line. Right now,
Bengals lead this game seven to nothing. Joe Flacco to
start the game, how about five for five only twenty

(21:07):
eight yards, but it's five for five and they are
moving down the field. By the way, they got the
kid fannin the tight end out of Bowling Green, who,
by the way, was first team All American. A lot
of people miss this, even though his Penn State counterpart
was obviously getting more of the hype. But this guy
is a big time receiver and right now Joe Flacco
is using him three catches for sixteen yards. So the

(21:31):
Brown's right now. I getting ready to hopefully get on
the scoreboard and get back in this game against the Bengals.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
Speaking of his game, though, also another first touchdown I
hit and Steve you can see it is written right here.
I had Chase Brown plus five fifty on that first touchdown. Nice,
but his game you put one hundred bucks on that,
you walked away with six hundred and fifty.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
Just are now lining up for two points now, oh yeah,
because of the penalty. So the Jets right now, leading
by a score of nine to seven, they will attempt
a two point conversion and it's a straight handoff going
absolutely no, no, no that yeah, the two point attempt

(22:10):
is no good. All right, So the Jets lead the
Steelers by a score of a.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
Nine to seven. All right.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
Coming up on the other side, we're hoping to hook
up with Mark Sanchez as we get ready for a
game later this afternoon between the Titans and Broncos. But first,
let's find out what is trendy right now? And she
put Chargers cap as the Chargers came away with that
big victory on.

Speaker 8 (22:33):
Friday, win, a great win performance. Yeah, and it wasn't like,
you know, Mahomes had a bad game.

Speaker 6 (22:39):
He looked good too.

Speaker 8 (22:40):
Individually he had throw but Chargers pulled it off in Brazil.

Speaker 6 (22:44):
Very excited about that excited to be here. What an
easy week one, Steve, only eight games?

Speaker 2 (22:50):
I know it is exactly You're ready. You're ready to
be tacas. We're gonna have those ten game mornings coming.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
Up, those ones.

Speaker 6 (23:00):
What's going on when there's ten games? I don't know.
All right, let me give you a rundown of what's
happening in the week one.

Speaker 8 (23:05):
Right now, eight games going on, Some are going into
the second quarter, some are are still halfway through the first.
But the Falcons were the first team to score. You
guys even talked about it. But Jean Robinson with the
fifty yard touchdown pass from Michael Pennick. So they are
on top of the Buccaneers at home, seven zero, less
than five minutes to go in the first quarter of
that one. Late in the first the Colts have a
lead against the Dolphins at home.

Speaker 6 (23:23):
It's three zero.

Speaker 8 (23:24):
There was already an interception for two tougo by looy I.
Looked like he was looking for Tyreek Hill but was
picked off by cold safety cam Binam. Right now, the
Bengals on the scoreboard against the Browns. Chase Brown with
seven carries twenty nine yards on the touchdown, they're up
seven zero against the Browns.

Speaker 6 (23:39):
They just got going in.

Speaker 8 (23:40):
The second quarter, and late in the first the Raiders
are on top of the Patriots seven zero. For the Raiders,
you know, Gino Smith connecting with Trey Tucker for a
twenty six yard touchdown pass.

Speaker 6 (23:48):
But also, you guys were.

Speaker 8 (23:49):
Talking about Pete Carroll setting in an NFL record today
at seventy three years old, three hundred and fifty seven days,
so he's almost seventy four, acts like he is forty five.
The Jets on top of the Steelers right now, nine
to seven, late in the first quarter. Cardinals with the
field goal over the Saints three zero late in the
first as well. Commanders are beating the Giants at home
seven zero. Halfway through the first quarter. Jaden Daniels connected

(24:11):
with zach Ertz there the Panthers look like they maybe
were trying to get into the red zone and score.
But the Panthers and the Jaguars are tied at three
apiece late in the first quarter. When it comes to baseball, yes,
Dodgers have lost a lot in a row, but they're
going to start soon.

Speaker 6 (24:23):
The Rays are edging the Guardians right now one zero.

Speaker 8 (24:25):
Top of the sixth inning, all Mariners against the Braves.
It's ten to one, top of the fifth inning. Cal
Rawley has not hit.

Speaker 6 (24:31):
A home run.

Speaker 8 (24:32):
And I did go yesterday to the Savanna Bananas on
San Diego. Yes, and you know who san Diego. In
San Diego, the Savanna Banas were down to the final inning.
It's not real innings. It's a two hour game, no
matter what. So they put on a clock for two
hours and crazy things are happening in the entire game.
The Savannah Bananas were like, we're bringing out our closer,
Trevor Hoffman.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
Out to rop awesome. That's dope that.

Speaker 6 (25:02):
That doesn't happened. So it's pretty awesome. I won't shot
more about it, but back to.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
You guys, all right, thanks so much, Moncie. All right.
I mentioned the fact that throughout the show today, Vj's
ready with some lines for us. What do you got
for us right now?

Speaker 1 (25:15):
Right now?

Speaker 2 (25:15):
Man?

Speaker 1 (25:15):
The Titans at the Broncos a late game coming up, Man,
I like the first touchdown to go to Paulard. It's
a plus seven point fifty. They're gonna want to run
the football and establish to run there. But if I
want to give you a distant one Mullins is the
game rush leader rookie from Michigan. Because Tennessee's got to
run the football, I can't do anything else. A plus
twenty eight hundred. If you want to just take a
stab in the dark and make some big money out there.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
Today, Draftking Sportsbook, an official sports betting partner of the NFL.
It's an interesting thing that you should mention Titans and
Broncos because Joinius right now simply.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
One of our favorite people in the world.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
He'll be on the call for Fox for this game
between the Broncos and the Titans. Mark Sanchez is Johnnius
right now. Mark, are you ready for the opening weekend
of the NFL season.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
Guys, I'm fired up, fired up to talk to you again.
Thanks for having me. And we're here at the stadium
here in Denver and tower at mile high and expectations
are mile high for our guy.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Bo Nicks, absolutely, Mark. You know, a year ago a
lot of people question whether bo Nicks was worthy of
a first round pick. Obviously, Sean Payton saw something in
this kid that said this is going to work, and
it certainly did a year ago. Now, the expectations are
the Broncos could take it to the next step. Should
we include the Broncos in the conversation as a potential

(26:31):
AFC West champion?

Speaker 3 (26:34):
Well, I think after watching the game the other night,
this division might be uh, you know, jc's been on
top for a while now, right at the top of
the mountain for nine, ten years whatever it's been since
the Broncos won it and won a Super Bowl with
Tyton Manning. And we saw a little vulnerability the other night,
and Sean Payton hasn't been shy about, you know, expressing

(26:55):
his goals and his belief in his players and this
team that him and the GM George Payton have assembled.
This is a solid unit. And the biggest thing that
sticks out to me not just bon Nicks, but the
guys they've brought in around him, and then the continuity
and consistency of the offensive line and defensive line. They

(27:17):
got sixteen guys on the roster O line and D
line fifteen and the sixteen were here last year, playing together,
practicing together, doing it all year. I mean, that is
like unheard of. That's so hard. Nineteen of twenty two
starters back. That's continuity, that's consistency, and that's hard to
do in this league because there's constantly so much turnover.
So when you keep the same quarterback in the same system,

(27:38):
with the same play caller and the same players, it
gives you a chance for success. And that's why he's
not shy about his expectations. Not just the vision and
not just the postseason, but he's talking about Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
Mark Sanchez VJ Husky here man new to the gig
this year, man, So it's a pleasure to be talking
to you. Thanks for taking the time out to speed
so us let's stick with quarterbacks. So let's go to
the other side of the Tennessee Titans. You're a man
that was draft great college career, draft it high in
the NFL and had to work through the expectations and
work through what you have to be as a rookie
coming too the league. And we're not saying a lot
about Cam war So a lot about a lot of

(28:10):
other quarterbacks. We're talking about how good can this kid be?
And how do you see Tennessee easing him into his
NFL career with what they're rebuilding and restarting there?

Speaker 3 (28:20):
Yeah, I think you nailed it. It's a rebuild and
a restart, and when you have a young kid. I mean,
I remember going into my first game at Houston on
the road with the Jets, and I walked out of
the tunnel and Joe Amos, my high school coach, and
my dad are all talking to each other.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
On the side.

Speaker 3 (28:37):
I was so jacked up for the game that you know,
you're just trying to calm yourself down and go through
your process. But the problem is you don't even know
what your process is. It's your first go round. Man,
You're riding that bike for the first time, and so
there's gonna be times where you fall. You're going to
scrape your knee and your elbow, and you got to
get back up, try and figure it out and do
it with a straight face and a confident demeanor. That's

(28:57):
one thing I do think he has going for him.
He as cool as a cucumber, and I think a
lot of that has to do with his unique journey.
You know, three different schools, and everybody immediately says, well,
that's the transfer portal, and you know these guys they can't,
you know, stick through a tough situation and persevere through adversity. Well, no,
this kid just leveled up every place he went. He

(29:19):
got new opportunities. Every place he went, he wasn't running
from competition. He was going against better competition at every level.
Incarnate word, Washington State and then we know Miami and
every place he went he elevated his game. His numbers
went up in the right progression that you want to see.
It looks good. He was improving every year. Completion percentage, yardage, touchdowns, touchdown,

(29:43):
the interception ratio, all the meaningful categories got better and better.
So Brian Callahan, the head coach for the Tennessee Titans,
his goal is to see him level up one more time.
And this is the highest level, the best athletes in
the world. We'll see how he does this. This place
is going to be rocking, and this is one hell
of a defense. So he's going to have his work
cutout for him. But I think he's up to the challenge.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
I want to get back to the Broncos for a
moment here because I'm just we talked so much obviously.
Later tonight we got the Bills and we got the
Ravens Marquee matchup, and a lot of people feel like,
if it's not the Chiefs, it's going to be their turn.
It's going to be either Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen
finally kicking down the door and getting into the Super Bowl.
But how close are the Broncos to that? Because I've

(30:26):
got them in the AFC Championship Game. That's my preseason prediction.
I have the Bills getting to the Super Bowl this year,
but I think the Broncos could actually break through and
get all the way to the AFC Title Game? Am
I out of sort of that as it premature to
elevate the Broncos to that level?

Speaker 3 (30:42):
Well, I think it's a little premature. I think I'll
know a little bit more in about four or five
hours after this first game. I do want to see
him come out of the blocks here. And you know,
they've had some slow starts the last couple of years.
Remember ohen three Champaign's first year, he had a seventy
point game right on the road in Miami, and then

(31:04):
the fact that he got a team to come back
practice and buy in for the rest of the year
as a miracle. That tells you a lot about him.
And then last year they started going too and ended
up making making the playoffs, which is unheard of. So
I think this team, as they mature together. They're not
quite at the level of maybe the Bills in the
Ravens with the time on task and the playoffs experience

(31:25):
and those you know, tough fourth quarter comebacks or winning
games late. They're not there yet. But in one season,
in a matter of seventeen games, they can acquire all
the experience they need. And you know the way coach
Sean Payton has these guys believing you might not be
far off.

Speaker 1 (31:43):
And just speaking of the AMC, you're a man who
played AFC, played in conference championship games, divisional games. If
to piggyback off my partner, if it's not the Chiefs,
who do who do you see? I like, I'm with him.
I think it's Baltimore Buffalo. But these are make or
break at year in my opinion, for Josh Allen and
f Lamar Jackson before we just have to sit back

(32:04):
and go, okay, it just maybe they can't give. They've
had their opportunities. Where do you see the Chargers fitting
into this with Harball in the system he's brought in
in the way Justin Herbert looked the other night, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
I thought they looked excellent. I thought that was a
game the last four or five years that the Chargers
would somehow find a way to lose. And you know,
they went and won that game, and a lot of
the help was due to their quarterback. He's just getting
better and better. I think Coach Harbaugh's really injected a
ton of confidence in him, and you know, he's not

(32:35):
shy about telling everybody what a stud his quarterback is.
And we're going to ride this guy and the run
game to victory. So I think they're close. I think
them and the Broncos have a real shot at this division.
But remember the formula. If you can is to try
and win the division, then it's a seeding issue.

Speaker 2 (32:53):
Right.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
You want home playoff games. You got to fight to
get that championship game at home if you can somehow
find a way to do that. Huh. This is the
guy talking about two AFC championships that I lost on
the road at Indy at Pittsburgh. I mean, it's tough
to go on the road and win a championship game
just to get to the super Bowl. So that's kind
of where these guys are at. They're trying to go

(33:14):
take that next step own the division, get the seeding.
You want play a championship game at home and then
go roll the dice in the Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
Well, Mark Santez has a record that will never be broken.
Four road playoff victories in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (33:28):
No, somebody's broken.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
No, no, no, no, not in their first two years
in the NFL. Mark, nobody has done it in.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
Don't don't blow it up too much.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
That's old news. That is you know what they do.

Speaker 3 (33:40):
You know what they do with old newspapers and wrap
them around.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
Not me, You know, I live in history. Mark, you
know how it works with me.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
Mark.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
We love you man, Thank you so much. Enjoy the
game today. We'll be watching.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
Appreciate you guys, thanks for having me.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
All right, that's Mark Sanchez there again. He'll be on
the call with the Broncos and the Titans all right,
coming up on the Earth. So we're going to get
you updated on all scores around the NFL, all the
stats you need. This is end Zone Radio.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
Second and twenty for the Colts. First play of the
second quarter. Daniel Jones plays the right side.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
That's right, touchdown for the Colts.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
Then it's my Colt Pittman Junior Hey twenty seven.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
Yard beautifully placed pass by Daniel.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
Jones to Mike Colt Pittman junior touchdown, Hi eighty What
for the Colts.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
That's the Colts Radio Network. More on that game in
a moment. Once again, this is end Zone Radio. We're
in the Fox Sports Radio Studios show sponsored by DraftKings.
Stay tuned because you're here. More about DraftKings and all
it has to offer throughout the show DraftKings. The crown
is yours, all right? How about early MVP favorite Daniel Jones,

(34:48):
quarterback of the Indianapolis Colts against Miami. Colts lead this
game seventeen to nothing. Jones ten of twelve, one hundred
and fifty yards, a touchdown, no picks. He's also run
for a score in this game, and the Dolphins are
stumbling out of the gate. They have got to get
something going quickly here. Now, look, I'm not gonna overplay it.

(35:09):
I do not believe in Miami going into this year.
Obviously this is your team, But how do you account
for this slow start? I'll be generous for your Dolphins
on the road against the Colts.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
I'm not sure yet. I haven't seen much of the
game so as is on now, the offensive line has
always been a problem last four or five years. They
have to show up. The dolphensive line is the main thing,
and then guys just got to make plays. At the
end of the day. The main thing Miami's missing is
a number three receiver, and I've been saying that for
about three years. They don't have a bona fide. They
think Elijah Washington could be the guy, but they don't
have a bona fide number three. In the NFL, you

(35:44):
need a bona fide number three. But it also starts
in the trenches. They got a great d line, but
the offensive line has always been a hiccup for the
Dolphins here. So I mean earlier in the year, down
doesn't look good to it. It's ticking me off because
he's already thrown a pick and he's fumbled, so he's
got two turnovers, and that's one thing you also can't do.
You can't turn the ball over. Both turnovers on their
end of the field also too, So that's how they

(36:05):
were set up for both their touchdowns. The field goal
drive was a legit drive, but then they got set
up by two of fumbling inside the red zone and
fumbling and then throwing a pick. So you can't turn
the ball over, that's all man. So you know, early
and early in the season, we'll see what happens. To
see a game goes.

Speaker 2 (36:17):
Well, they're gonna have to get Tyreek Hill involved in
this offense. A year ago with two out he disappeared
first time in his career. He's been one of the
absolute dominant receivers in this league. One catch, four yards
so far for Tyreek Hill. All right, just update the
score bar right now. Buccaneers get a field goal. Falcons
lead that game seven to three, ten minutes to go
in the first half. There These are all second quarter scores.

(36:38):
Browns and Bengals are tied at seven, So Joe Flacco
and the Browns hanging in there against Joe Burrow and company.
We mentioned the Colts up seventeen out there on the Dolphins.
Raiders Patriots are tied at seven. Cardinals have just kicked
a field goals, so they are actually have just scored.
We'll get an update on that score. But the Cardinals

(36:59):
now lead the Saints by a score of ten to seven.
Shootout games so far between the Jets and the Steelers,
Jets retake the leads sixteen to ten. Commanders over the
Giants seven to three, and in a game that so
far is very forgettable three to three Jaguars and the Panthers.
Let's get back to this Jets Steelers game right now

(37:20):
VJ because both the quarterbacks playing well. Aaron Rodgers six
of eight ninety eight yards and a score, justin Fields
six of seven ninety one yards and a score. I
don't think a lot of people expected. Both these teams
certainly have elite defenses, at least on paper, but both
teams have been able to move the ball effectively and normally.

Speaker 1 (37:40):
Earlier in the year, the defenses are ahead of the offenses,
not in this case today. And now listen, the Steelers
have ten points on the board. They're not lighting it up.
Aaron Rodgers had one drive. Does a good job the
Jets offense, though, And I want to just speak on
justin fields for a minute, because I think we get
lost and we have to kind of rewrite the narrative
of how we speak about justin fields. Because this was
a guy who was right up there where Trevor Lawrence

(38:02):
coming out of high school. Now, remember he wanted to
go to Clemson, but decided to go to Georgia because
Trevor put Clemson out there first, and he wasn't gonna
go there and compete. Goes from Georgia, then transfers to
Ohio State, does what he does there, then gets drafted.
But he gets drafted into a terrible situation. And I
don't think we talk about that enough with Ebraflus and
what was going on up there with Chicago. It's a
graveyard per corner, right, So then he goes to Pittsburgh

(38:24):
and let's get real, they're in flux right now. Even
though the brand is the Steelers, Mike Tomlin the name right, Okay,
we get it, but that doesn't cover up the inefficiencies
of your team because you have a brand. We see
this with the Cowboys from year to year. And now
he's in a situation where they got a new coach,
he's got a great defense, and they want him to
be the quarterback. If he can be the quarterback, and

(38:46):
I think that's a bonus for him. And I just
think we forget how good and how athletic this kid is.
And I think this could be a year that we
get to see open I mean, we're watching it right now.
Sixteen points earlier in the first half, opening Sunday at
home against a vaunted Steeler defense. They're moving the ball
up and down the field.

Speaker 2 (39:05):
All right, Browns right now hanging in against the Bengals.
We're tied at seven right now, nine and a half
minutes to go in the first half. In that game,
Flacco is a perfect six or six, only forty yards.
They've only run for twenty in the game. They have
sixty total yards. But their defense is doing a good
job of keeping the Bengals in check. And when you
look at Jamar Chase, you know, triple Crown winner one

(39:28):
catch six yards Denzel Ward effect. Yeah, Denzel catch six
yards for Jamar Chase, nine minutes to go in the
first half.

Speaker 1 (39:36):
Yeah, Well, the Browns have a great defense, and there's
no mistake in that. We you and I both predicted
that Garrett's gonna win. That we think Miles will winning
Defensive Player of the Year.

Speaker 2 (39:45):
The word on Garrett is he's taking his game next level, right.

Speaker 1 (39:48):
I think he's twenty SAT guy this year. He's gonna
get eighteen or more. He is going to rip offensive
tackles to pieces this year. He's in better shape, He's bigger, faster, stronger.
People forget how young. This guy's is he's in his
prime prime right now. He's not even going towards the
back end. He just got right to the need of it.
And they have a bunch of talent on his defense.

(40:09):
If they can just figure out the quarterback position, run
the football with Ford, they're going to compete. They're not
just gonna get blown off the field all season long,
in my opinion.

Speaker 2 (40:17):
By the way, I'll tell you who woke up. Drake
May of the Patriots tied with the Raiders at seven,
and they're on the move right now. Suddenly Drake May
eight of thirteen one hundred and fifteen yards and a
touchdown pass in this game. All right, we got much
more coming up. We're just an hour in a lot
more coming up. Everything you need to know about the
NFL Week one, Keep it here. This is end Zone Radio. Oh,

(40:40):
rolling along here on the first Sunday of the NFL season. Yes,
end Zone Radio. We're in the Fox Sports Radio studios.
He shows sponsored by DraftKings. Stay tuned because you canna
hear more about DraftKings and all it has to offer
throughout the show DraftKings, the Crown is yours. Yes, throughout
the show, vj's got some of his hot packs. Yes,

(41:01):
so stay tuned for that. By the way, we have
a weather delay right now in Jacksonville, the Jaguars leading
the Panthers by a score of ten to three. Trevor
Lawrence so far, so good, ten to fourteen, eighty four yards.
He threw a touchdown pass to Hunter Long. And this
is a team that a year ago, VJ. A lot

(41:21):
of people were thinking, we're still in the conversation, certainly
to win their division, but also well our own Chris
Purfett had them in the Super Bowl Jacksonville a year ago.

Speaker 1 (41:32):
Do yeah, yes, year, you.

Speaker 2 (41:34):
Don't have to talk about that. You have the Cowboys
in the Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (41:36):
I did.

Speaker 2 (41:37):
I had them winning the Super Bowl last year. Anyway
I can. I'm the kiss of death, that is guarantee.
Are we too early to dismiss Trevor Lawrence in company
as a team that at the very least can contend
in what is, without a question, one of the weaker
divisions in the National Football League.

Speaker 1 (41:55):
I don't think that we can dismiss him yet. I
think that would be premature. What I will say have
said about Trevor Lawrence all off season is I put
him right there with three other quarterbacks. I think these
are proven years and all for different reasons. I think
two was there. I think Lamar Jackson is there, and
I think Josh Allen's there and along with Trevor Lawrence,
all for different reasons. With Trevor Lawrence, you have had

(42:18):
two coaches. Okay, the Urban Meyer Higher was a debacle.
That thing was just crazy how that played out. But
at some point you now have a coach, They've drafted well,
you have weapons, and now you have Travis Hunter around you.
This is a year that you at least need to
get to nine to ten wins for us to look back.

(42:38):
And I mentioned justin Phillis. Remember those were one A
and one B coming out of high school. Those were
the two big quarterback recruit gets. When they were coming out,
people thought he was John Elish. You can remember those articles,
you remember that stuff. I know I do. He was
out there, he was Andrew Luckish he was. At some point,
we can't blame coaching. We can't blame franchises. The player

(42:59):
still has the Joe Burrow plays for Horror franchise, But
Joe Burrow still shows up and does what Joel Burrow
it's supposed to do as a quarterback. I'm just holding
out on this year. If he doesn't do it this year,
I'm off. I'm off to Trevor Lawrence Wagon.

Speaker 2 (43:10):
All Right. You mentioned Travis Hunter today. It was made
clear that he would be the slot receiver, full time
slot receiver for Jacksonville, and he's off to good start.
Four targets, four catches, twenty two yards. He also will
plays some at the cornerback position. No offense just got
in the end zone for the Bengals as they take
the lead over the Browns. That was going to be

(43:32):
one of my picks for touchdown. I didn't get it
in in time. So no offense gets into the end
zone there, and the Bengals have taken the lead over
the Browns. Also, oh yeah, do we have the Buccaneers
getting in the ends? Buccaneers, I believe it deep ye
get in the end z Yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (43:50):
Baker just Dow whattars down pass to a booka, the
rookie from Ohio State.

Speaker 7 (43:54):
There.

Speaker 2 (43:54):
It is so Baker Mayfield struggling a little bit, six
or thirteen passing seventy five yards, but they get the
score there. So the Buccaneers now lead the Falcons by
a score of ten to seven. We still have not
had a missed extra point yet. We had one, but
it was nullified by a penalty. That's when the Jets

(44:16):
decided to go for two. Did not hit that two
point conversion. By the way, that Jets just added a
field goal. So now they lead the Steelers nineteen to
ten inside three minutes to go in the first half.
It's always amazing to me VJ. All these games kick
off at the same time, but they definitely move at
a very different pace. I mean, we got games that

(44:36):
are inside the three minute mark, and yet the Commanders
and Giants are still nine minutes to go in the
first half. There By the way, Commanders lead that game
by a score of seven to three. Jayden Daniels off
to a hot start early, but they have cooled off.
The Giants have been able to control some of the
clock in this first half, not that they're doing a

(44:58):
whole lot. Russell Wilson thirteen to fifty three yards, Jayden
Daniels six to ten, eighty seven yards and a touchdown
pass that to zach Ertz a.

Speaker 1 (45:06):
Little bit earlier.

Speaker 2 (45:07):
Daniels also has twenty yards rushing in this game. But
you can't be a one man show. Austin Eckler's got
to come through for them. They got to get some
running game otherwise you're just gonna wear out your quarterback.

Speaker 1 (45:18):
Well, the Giants could play defense too. Now let's let's
not We talk about Dable and we talk about some
things we think it's gonna happen there. But they can
still play defense. They still have a formal defense, especially
their front line. Their front line, their front seven has
a bunch of really good players in it though. So
it's opening week and also to something I want to
point out, we look at all these low scores, but

(45:40):
I looked up a stat that was really really interesting.
It's trying to pick over and nunders on these games.
Since nineteen eighty six, the under and opening weekend has
hit fifty one percent of the time. Since twenty fourteen,
fifty four percent of the time the underhits in opening weekends.
Teams don't score a lot of points. We have what
one or two games one game where both teams are

(46:01):
in double digits. That's two games, excuse me, two games
now that the I think there might be an updated
one in that Cardinals Saints game. I'll let you guys
get to that, but yeah, there you go. So two
games where both teams have scored double digits going into
the half open the weekend. Offenses don't get going right
away because a lot of these guys don't play in
the preseason. People hold out their star receivers, start running backs,

(46:24):
star quarterbacks sometimes and you gotta get going to lineman.
If you line and get a little Nickson bruises, you
hold them out. You play the backups and now opening
Sunday and all the ones. If you're available and you're
a one, you gotta suit up and take whatever tolland
all you gotta take or whatever you gotta do to
get out on the field. And it just takes offenses
a little while to get going. So we'll see how
these games do all play out, though, But I mean,

(46:46):
you know, great competition right now. So far. This Tampa
Bay Atlanta game I got my eyes on because this game,
Tampa Tampa's defense is settled in Now. Ye looked earlier,
but they're like, yeah, we got something for you young kickers.
Just still kind of a rookie. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (46:58):
The Falcons. Secondly, after a high start, three and out,
three and out, three and out, so that Tampa Bay
defense look the surprise game so far the Colts. I mean,
this is a team that a lot of people think,
you know, with Daniel Jones, like wow, I mean, Daniel
Jones is back in as a starting quarterback going to
be a disaster. So in a disaster so far for Miami.
It totally yards in this game Indianapolis two hundred and

(47:20):
seven and the Dolphins just have forty three yards. Not
only has two thrown an interception and fumbled the ball,
He's been sacked three times in this game. Daniel Jones
fourteen of eighteen hundred and sixty nine yards in a score.
He has been the best quarterback so far on the fields.
Also scored a touchdown running the ball that again Tyreek killed.

(47:40):
They got to get him involved. They did have a
second pass to him. He's only had three targets, two
catches fifteen yards, So I don't know. I you know, again,
they have a coach that I think is on the
hot seat, and if this season gets away from him early,
you can count on it. But again you were thinking, hey,
just get a healthy to back on the field, right,

(48:02):
But they just seem completely disjointing and again three sacks
in the first half. That's as bad as it gets.

Speaker 1 (48:08):
Well, it's not as bad as it gets. But once again,
the offensive line has to be able to hold up
as they jump off sides. It seemed like here and
the Coats are gonna get a free play. But once again,
you also can't turn the ball over. That's you cannot
turn the ball over your own end of the field.
You're asking, I said, doing commercial break, you're asking to
be down seventeen and nothing. You're like, here, guys, here
take two touchdowns back to back because we want to
fumble and throw the ball. But once again, it's early

(48:29):
in the year. The offense is gonna take a while
to get going. The Dolphins offense even with two even
in the years where they've been dominant on offense, back
to back years they were no on offense and number
or top two rushing in the league, they started off slow. So,
as I said, it doesn't look good now the coach,
I'll give them more credit and not make it that
the Dolphins aren't doing this and doing that. Coats are
playing great. Daniel Jones is he is a veteran. I

(48:51):
think can we use veteran with his name at this
point right now, Like he's a veteran.

Speaker 2 (48:55):
Quarterback that can actually get the ball to receive that.
I mean, Anthony Richardson was not an accurate quarterback. It's
amazing when you have an offense where the quarterback can
actually get the ball.

Speaker 1 (49:05):
Team and they have they have received like Jonathan Taylor,
you got to run it back, they got. I love
Michael Pittman. I covered him at high school when he
played for Calabasas High Like I covered the kid before
he went off the USC and went off to the NFL.
So you have they have talent on their offensive side
of the ball. I don't think it's sustainable to for
it to be all year long, but you know, opening
Sunday at home against the Dolphins that struggling, it looks good.

Speaker 2 (49:28):
All right, Commanders score again. They now have a fourteen
to three lead over the Giants. Crosskey Merritt gets into
the end zone on the run. So Jayden Daniels hundred
yards passing and a score in the first half. Russell
Wilson just seven to thirteen passing fifty three yards. The Giants, Wow,
what a shot are struggling?

Speaker 7 (49:45):
That cames weird to me. Because I remember being told
that the Giants were the like vibes champion of the
preseason vibes. Yeah, everything was so good. They were smiling
and they were happy. They were Jackson Dart was getting
kisses from Brian Dable. And here they are as in
fourteen to three when the actual game starts.

Speaker 1 (50:02):
Who told me? I want to know who told both
the vibe shit, that's actually very clever. I've never heard
that before the vibes Jim but Bo. You know, in
preseason it all, it all looks good, man, in preseasons.

Speaker 2 (50:14):
I'll tell you who looks good right now, just throwing
the football is a guy named Aaron Rodgers. I'm doing
eyeball test on the guy, like you know, I'm getting,
you know, passes down the field on target. Aaron Rodgers
eight of eleven, hundred and thirty two yards in the score.
Unfortunately for the Steelers, they have had no answer for
Justin Fields, who is eight of nine passing one hundred

(50:37):
and twenty six yards and a touchdown and obviously doing
it with his legs as well. He has thirty yards
on the ground. Breeze Hall has look really good. The
Jets are averaging almost five yards of carry on the
ground against the Steelers. So you know, again, it's Week one, folks.
There's going to be surprises, good and bad. But it
is interesting how certain teams like the Colts, like the Jets,

(50:59):
are certainly looking a lot better offensively than a lot
of people predicted going into the season.

Speaker 1 (51:03):
Well look at the Jets and we're gonna go back
to Justin Fields again. People have to remember when this
guy a thousand yard rusher, also like he can move guys.
This is why I think he gives them a chance.
I don't. I don't think that everybody knows how I
feel about the Jets, but I'm taking the fan hat
off and just giving a sports analysis about it. I
do think they can win seven or eight games, no
more thing. They have a really good defense, and we
have a quarterback that can make things happen when the

(51:25):
play breaks down. We've even seen it with guys that
can throw. That's what makes a guy like Mahomes so good.
That's what makes Justin Herbert, Jalen, Hurts, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen,
Guys that can use their legs, it can make big
plays happen. This is a kid who can do the
exact same thing. We just have to kind of rewrite
the narrative because we have to kind of forget about Chicago.

(51:46):
We have to kind of put that out of It's
like with Matthew Stafford all those years in Detroit and
he comes to the Rams. He comes to a competent
team with a defense and a competent coach and oh,
by the way, a few weapons around him. And I'm
not saying they're gonna go to the super Bowl, but
that type of example where let's let's not worry about
the Detroit days. Look what he's doing. Now, let's not
worry about Chicago. Let's look what the opportunity is for
Justin Fhiels.

Speaker 2 (52:05):
Right now, Cardinals are in the red zone, tied with
the Saints. Saints are hanging in there. Kyler Murray is
off to good start ten of fourteen, one hundred and
eight eighteen yards and a score two minute warning in
that game. In fact, we are closing in on halftime
of the eight games around the National Football League, we
got much more coming up for you. For the scores,
for the stats, for the analysis, everything you need, keep

(52:28):
it right here. This is end zone radio hand off
cuts out.

Speaker 6 (52:32):
To the right to the park into.

Speaker 2 (52:33):
The touch down, touchdown walking till PROOFTYT. That's big one
hundred Commanders Radio Network and Washington in control right now,
leading the Giants fourteen to three, three minutes to go
in the first half. There. Once again, this is end
Zone Radio. We're in the Fox Sports Radio studios, and

(52:56):
I know Vj's got something else for us right now.
What do you got for us? We got some good
afternoon picks. Man.

Speaker 1 (53:01):
It just some some some games to look out for
this afternoon that I think are not to surprise of people.
The Packers are a two and a half favorite at home.
I like this over on this forty six and a half.
I think both these offenses come out and throw some
haymakers and throw some punches out there. I liked both
these teams to score over twenty four to twenty five points.
That's why I took the over on the forty six
and a half. I took the Packers so also too,

(53:23):
to cover it this. I think they win by three tonight.
That's a game. I got my eyes there. Yeah, I
think the Packers went at home. Michael Parsons makes the
big defensive deflection or sack or something We're talking about
Michael Parsons tomorrow morning, about what he did in that
Packers game against the line. He hates Detroit, he told
us all the other day, as long as hated Detroit.
That was so smart by him, That was so smart

(53:44):
by him.

Speaker 2 (53:44):
All right, DraftKings, Sportsbook and Officials Sports Better, partner of
the NFL.

Speaker 1 (53:50):
All right.

Speaker 2 (53:50):
The Steelers have scored Jonah Smith on a short pass
from Aaron Rodgers is eleven to fourteen, one hundred and
fifty nine yards, two touchdowns, no in the first half
of this game. Jets still lead this game by a
score of nineteen to seventeen. It's been the most entertaining game,
at least offensively. Also, Kyler Murray has thrown a second

(54:11):
touchdown pass as the Arizona Cardinals have taken a seventeen
to ten lead on the road against the Saints. Twenty
seconds to go in the first half. There, Kyler Murray
twelve of sixteen, one hundred and twenty six yards, two touchdowns,
no picks. He's run for seventeen yards. He's an immensely
talented quarter right and he always has been. I mean,

(54:31):
there was that little hiccup in his career Remember, this
guy made two legitimate Pro Bowls right out of the box.
None of that, you know, alternate, like he was actually
picked for the Pro Bowl. And so you keep that
in mind that you know, he's sort of an X
factor that keeps Arizona relevant. It keeps him around that
five hundred mark. And then the question is can he

(54:52):
get a break there? You know, like a couple of bounces.
The difference between seven and ten and ten right right
happens every year.

Speaker 1 (54:58):
And I wanted to f on him and talk about
him because I think, is there not a more talented quarterback?
We have said so little about in an offseason as
this year there has been because last year it was
the video games and the time he's spend in the play.
This year we heard absolutely little to nothing about the
Cardinals or Kyler Murray. We forget the fact he's got

(55:21):
Maserati mar who people think is a generational type receiver.
I picked him last year to be my Offensive Rookie
of the Year and I missed on that one for
the NFC. But this kid is immensely talented. Remember he's
Nber one draft pick and football and baseball like, this
kid is really a great young athlete and at number one.
They're in a tough division too. The Rams have been rocking,

(55:43):
the Niners have been rocking, and Seattle's had some good
years there and then that's what they're battling in that
division plus the rest of the NFC. And he's a
guy that think just gets lost in the wash with
all these other quarterbacks we talk about. We don't say
much about Kyler Murray, but he's a guy who could
run for fifty sixty yard, throw for two hundred to
three hundred yards in a game, and change a game
with his feet by himself. You know. I just think

(56:05):
we need to pay a little bit more attention and listen.
Whether it's the Saints or not, doesn't matter. They come
out one to oh, they're one to o oh. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (56:12):
I mean, one thing about the National Football League, there's
no such thing as style points. Right, It's a black
and white right. You win, you lose, That's all.

Speaker 1 (56:20):
You care about.

Speaker 2 (56:21):
You move on to the next game. Falcons have gotten
a field goal to tie the game or inside a
minute to go in the first half. There big This
is a big game. I mean, you know, the two
teams that are expected to battle it out for that
NFC South cround down the road. Michael Pennock s soonterter
got off to a hot start, cooled off, but still
the number is good. Twelve of eighteen hundred and forty yards,
a touchdown, no picks there. Baker Mayfield struggling a little

(56:44):
bit with his accuracy seven to fourteen seventy seven yards
in a score. You know eventually he'll get things right.
But yeah, I give a slight edged Atlanta this year.
And I only say that because it seems hard for
Baker Mayfield over the course of his career to put
together a continuous string of good seasons like there always
seems to be a slight step back on his resume

(57:09):
throughout the year. So again, that's gonna be a Batt'll
probably go down to the last week of the year.
A slight edge there to the Falcons. By the way
halftime right now with the Bengals leading the Browns by
a score of fourteen to ten, Joe Burrow eleven of
fourteen eighty eight yards and a score. And I guess
the real question there is where exactly is his star

(57:31):
receiver Jamar Chase just two catches twenty six yards in
the first half, so Cleveland doing a pretty good job
defensively to slow him down.

Speaker 1 (57:40):
At the Denzel Ward effect, they are corners and then
they are lockdown guys. Patrick Sertan junior Denzel Ward. There
are just some corners in the league you're not going
to get a lot on. And we've moved away from
corner talk to more receivers are getting paid, running backs
of getting paid again. Remember there was a time where
the cornerback position with Richard Sherman and Darrel Reeves, these

(58:05):
guys are always matching who was getting a bigger contract,
and then you know the next young kid would come in.
The corner talk has kind of been lost in TV
and radio my opinion, over the last two to three years.
But that doesn't mean there's not guys in the league
that can lock you up and lock you down. Denzel
Ward's one of them. But this is also a divisional game.
We talked about this. I took Cleveland as one of
my upsets. They were alusive plus five and a half

(58:26):
when they started with drafts Kings at a plus two hundred.
I love the under on this at forty eight and
a half points. I'm not sure who put that scoring up.
These teams are gonna struggle to score twenty points a piece,
so they're doing what they're supposed to do. You want
to run the football, stop the run, don't turn the
ball over, take the points that you need to take.

(58:47):
And talking about just tempers, we're seeing what's going on
between the Jets and the Steelers is a full blown
double fight that broke out before the half. Jayalen Ramseys
look at what's going he is he is hot right now.
And this told you there's some feeling in this game because,
like you said, they just swapped quarterbacks. There's some feelings
in this game right now.

Speaker 7 (59:05):
Jalen Ramsey blew up Justin Fields.

Speaker 1 (59:07):
Yeah, on the sideline.

Speaker 7 (59:08):
Someone came over started John with him and they drew penalty.
And then yeah, Garrett Wilson was getting into Jaien Ramsey's face.

Speaker 1 (59:14):
Yeah, everyone was involved with it. It was about eight
or nine cons exactly. This is what it's about.

Speaker 2 (59:21):
Let's go, this is it bringing on. We're excited. We're
pumped up. Everybody out there listening. It's pumped up for
Week one of the NFL and we like to see
that kind of stuff. By the way, back to the
Bengals and the Browns Chase Brown solid first half, forty
three yards on the ground, twelve carries and a score.
Cleveland has no running game at all in this game.

(59:41):
They only have twenty four yards on the ground. Joe
Flaccall and its numbers are Joe Flacckell. You know, ten
to fifteen eighty seven yards, right, but you know, and
so that's Joe Flaccall. That's that's where we're at, one guy.
There's a lot of intrigue obviously. Today is by the way,
is this this game is still in a weather delay.
This is the Jacksonville Carolina game was stopped because of

(01:00:06):
a weather situation. Obviously lightning in the area. We mentioned
earlier Trevor Lawrence ten or fourteen eighty four yards in
a score. But Travis Hunter. A lot of focus obviously
on this young man. Four targets, four catches, twenty two yards.
We'll see how this plays out for him. Again, I
like what you had to say off air before you know,

(01:00:26):
they're not worried about his ability as a shutdown corner.
We know what the ability has there. What they need
to do is incorporate him as a receiver and understand
the sophistication of playing the wide receiver position in the NFL.
If you use them in the slot, then it's a
versatile position where you can use them in a lot
of different ways. You can even use them in the

(01:00:47):
running game out of the slot, So there's a lot
of versatility of playing that position. But yeah, there's certain
intricacies of playing wide receiver in the National Football League
that he probably has to learn to get his game
to the next level.

Speaker 1 (01:01:01):
And you said it right, the intricacies of playing a position,
coaching a position on the varsity the high school level,
as I do, it's amazing how you have to tell
certain kids to certain people. The footwork, the movement, the
way you place your foot for a slant, the way
you can't just get out there and just run roundes.
It does not work that way. That's why I got
like Steve Smith, and I get emotional when I watch

(01:01:23):
his route running. Never the fastest, never the biggest, but
for some reason was always open. Why the way you
run your routes, the way you set up defenders, the
way you set up leverage, they the great ones. Everybody
can't be Randy Moss. Everybody can't be sixty five or
running four two four to three. Everybody like, right, you
know what I'm saying, Like, everybody can't be Megatron six
five six two three. That's not every receiver. So you

(01:01:46):
have to learn how to play the position. And I
was saying Steve before we went on air, they're not
worrying about him as a corner. He's got that, he's
locked down, he's got that. You need to walk him
in early in the season in the offense and not
waiting ease and into it as the year goes on.
Get out on front of it now. So when you

(01:02:06):
get the week six, seven, eight, nine, ten, and you're
deep into the year and you're throwing these plays in,
you already went through all the growing pains early in
the year. I think they're doing a good job.

Speaker 3 (01:02:15):
Man.

Speaker 1 (01:02:16):
On the flip side, Carolina, a lot of people kind
of like them. I want them to improve. But this
is still probably just not a really good football team,
which is sad for Bryce.

Speaker 2 (01:02:24):
Shown they gotta get players. You gotta get playmakers to
help Bob Bryce Young there in Carolina. All right, let's
find out what is trending right now. Half the half
or nearing the half, and most of these games they
don't have a weather delay.

Speaker 6 (01:02:37):
They don't have a weather delay.

Speaker 8 (01:02:40):
You would think that in a place like Jacksonville, maybe
they would have a roof for something to prevent Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
I don't want to say anything negative about any city
because we have people roof dome.

Speaker 6 (01:02:51):
I get yeah, like something like that. You would think,
you would.

Speaker 1 (01:02:54):
Think, you would think also played in it's football. And
don't ever say that all.

Speaker 2 (01:02:58):
Football should be played in domes.

Speaker 1 (01:03:00):
It's football.

Speaker 6 (01:03:01):
Sure, no, I know, but is this what you would want?

Speaker 1 (01:03:05):
Major look, gave.

Speaker 2 (01:03:06):
Me the ros. You gotta look at the old NFL
films or whether it was a factor in Minnesota.

Speaker 6 (01:03:14):
I love a snow game. I love a snow game,
but you can't play.

Speaker 1 (01:03:16):
You're not playing lightning. You have to take on the
safety of everybody. That's not a question a dome.

Speaker 2 (01:03:23):
They did it in the college game the other day,
same thing locked down with the thunder. Yeah would light Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:03:28):
Well again.

Speaker 8 (01:03:29):
Weather delay in Jacksonville between the Panthers and the Jaguars.
Jaguars are up though, ten to three on this weather delay.

Speaker 6 (01:03:35):
There's two games that are.

Speaker 8 (01:03:36):
Literally headed into halftime right now, but not yet there
Commanders on top of the Giants fourteen to three, coming
down to the final seconds, and the Patriots over the
Raiders ten to seven, also coming down to the final
seconds of the first half. Drake May four New England
though fourteen of twenty, one hundred and fifty yards and
a touchdown. All the other games are at the half,
and the Jets have a slight lead over the Steelers.

(01:03:58):
Nineteen seventeen is or at the half, and when we
look at the quarterback comparison, Justin Fields nine of eleven,
one hundred and thirty four yards and a touchdown.

Speaker 6 (01:04:07):
He also has six carries for thirty yards. Aaron Rodgers
eleven of fourteen.

Speaker 8 (01:04:10):
One hundred and fifty nine yards and two touchdowns, also
at the half. Again, the rest are at the half.
Assume that Cardinals over the Saint seventeen to ten. On
that one, Kyler Murray twelve of sixteen, one hundred and
twenty six yards and two touchdowns for the Saints, Alvin
Kamara five carries thirty eight yards and a touchdown.

Speaker 6 (01:04:26):
The Dolphins, Oh yes, Dolphins have yet to score.

Speaker 8 (01:04:30):
VJ Colts are on top twenty zero Daniel Jones doing
it all seventeen to twenty two, one hundred and ninety
seven yards and a touchdown.

Speaker 6 (01:04:37):
He also has a rushing touchdown to.

Speaker 8 (01:04:38):
A Toko by Lowist struggling a little bit five seven
forty two yards in an interception. Struggling for my fantasy
football team Devon eight chan five carries and fourteen yards.

Speaker 6 (01:04:46):
Thank you for that. The Bengals are on top of
the Browns fourteen to ten.

Speaker 8 (01:04:49):
A story of two Joes, right, Joe Burrow eleven to fourteen,
eighty eight yards and a touchdown. Joe Flacco is ten
to fifteen for eighty seven yards and does he have
a touchdown? No, he does not have a touchdown. Pass
but fourteen to ten on that one. And then we
are tied in Atlanta between the Buccaneers and the Falcons.
They are tied at ten a piece. Michael Pennock's junior
twelve nineteen, one hundred and forty yards on a touchdown,

(01:05:11):
but Jean Robinson four carries six yards, four catches for
seventy one yards on a touchdown, and Baker maybeald the
seven to fifteen seventy seven yards and one touchdown to
Emecca Abuka. Welcome to the NFL. I know we don't
care about baseball, but I do. Sho heyo Tani has
homer twice, trying to snap the Dodgers losing streak. They're
on top of the Orioles three zero, top of the

(01:05:32):
fourth inning, Yankees and Blue Jays tied at three apiece.

Speaker 6 (01:05:36):
Bottom of the third, Ben.

Speaker 8 (01:05:37):
Rice with the three run homer is what has the
Yankees tied at that one and still all Mariners against
the Braves eleven to one.

Speaker 6 (01:05:43):
Bottom of the eighth inning. Has Cal Rawley hit a
home run? He has not? Back to you, guys.

Speaker 2 (01:05:49):
Yeah, I'm glad you to imagine baseball until then, because
last night's Dodgers game against the Earls was run for
the books. That has never happened again. Unbelievable. All right, Monzi. Thanks,
we'll check in with you a little bit later on.
Once again, this is End Zone Radio Steve Hartman VJ.

You can't even preview, though you can actually preview and
review the podcast again, just search Fox Sports Radio wherever
you get your podcasts, and I find today's show posted
right after we get off the air. All right, So
with all the games heading into halftime right now, V
do you look anxious? What do you got for?

Speaker 1 (01:06:37):
Yeah, because I'm looking at this Bengals Cleveland game right right,
and you look at these numbers and see, this is
why numbers can be really deceive it. We go, Oh,
Joe Burrow, he's on fire. Eleven to fourteen for eighty
eight yards. Guys, he hasn't even thrown four hundred yards.
Same with Uncle Flackle ten to fifteen for eighty seven yards,
which means this is all dink and dunk. I know
Higgins has one catch for thirteen yards and Gasicki has

(01:07:00):
one for fourteen yards. But everything else they have no
running game. Everything is deep. But once again, this is
Cleveland's defense. This just isn't The Bengals can't move to
football when you put a defensive team like Cleveland on
the field, and I know they're Cleveland. We had all
the shit door stuff and Dylan Gabrin all the quarterbacks talk,
but I think what was lost is I really truly

(01:07:20):
believe that Stefanski there will be competitive most of the seed.
Most games, they're going to be competitive if you're not
blowing them off the field because they can play defense.
Not Jerome Ford and screwing up one of my player props.
I took them on plus sixty rushing yards at a
plus one ninety nine DraftKings, So I need you to
go ahead and get this guy to ball Cleveland and

(01:07:40):
let Jerome four run the football. But this game is intriguing,
is intriguing, as I think the second half of the
Steelers and the Jets is gonna be off of what
we saw going to halftime. Keep an eye on this
Browns team to get a turnover in this half and
flip this game around and get out of here with
one of my underdog picks today.

Speaker 2 (01:07:57):
All right, with the games at the half, right now,
get is this a chance to take a sneak peek
at the game's coming up? A little bit earlier, Mark
Sanchez broke down that game between the Broncos and the Titans. Obviously,
the Titan's going to be overwhelmed in that first game
with cam Ward against a really good Broncos team. The
game coming up here, we got forty nine or Seahawks
we got Texans and Rams, but we really have Lions,
Packers and Green Bay. As Michael parsons, we're in the

(01:08:21):
number one will be featured there as they go on
against the Lions. By the way, the over under in
this game is pretty hefty, like forty eight and a half.
We talk about defenses usually having the upper hand early
on in the NFL season, but at least the odds
makers think this is going to be a pretty much
of a shootout game here between the Lions and Packers.

(01:08:43):
I want to defer for just a moment here to
Chris because obviously he is our resident Lions insider, So
I mean, obviously, Chris, you break it down with the Lions.
You know what they got, you know what they have
to overcome from, you know, a very disappointing finish after
us the calcular regular season last year. Are the Lions

(01:09:03):
on the defensive side of the football gonna look different
than what we saw when Jade and Daniels the rookie
shredded them in that playoff game. Well, they won't be
playing starting linebackers who were in street clothes five days earlier.

Speaker 1 (01:09:18):
So yes, like this isn't.

Speaker 2 (01:09:19):
Hard like I think are we going to all just
memory hole that like Aiden Hutchinson hadn't played since the
Cowboys game, that they didn't have any of their starting linebackers,
that they had maybe one of their starting corners, that
no one on the defensive line was healthy. Like that
was a mass unit that played the commanders and any
conversation about what the Detroit Lions looked like on defense,

(01:09:40):
regardless of who the coordinator is. Who by the way,
is Kelvin Shepherd who was with the team last year
has to start there? Like I really think the entire
world has collectively like forgotten about the pace Aiden Hutchinson
was on.

Speaker 1 (01:09:54):
How good guys like Lee McNeil are.

Speaker 2 (01:09:55):
They won't have them, to have Tyleek Williams to start,
But like, this is a Lions defense that was that
was completely banged up last year. Like it's not even
apples to oranges. It's like different ballparks.

Speaker 1 (01:10:07):
I agree.

Speaker 2 (01:10:08):
I mean it can't be in any worse. I mean
they have to upgrade and obviously with the return of
Aiden Hutchinson, that's an entirely different defense. Are you believing
in the Packers VJ because again, after the Micah Parsons deal,
you know, the odds, you know, dropped tremendously in terms
of favoring now the Packers to be a prime contender
to come out of the NFC and get back to

(01:10:29):
a super Bowl for the first time in a long time.
Are you buying the hype.

Speaker 1 (01:10:34):
I'm been buying the hype. And that's because I really
like Jordan Love. I think Jordan Love is a really
really good young quarterback and can be a great quarterback.
And then I love Lafleur as a head coach. But
Moncey said it a week ago when we were on
the air that the Packers, this is the year you
gotta do it. You gotta, you know, either put up
or shut up. And that's why they and I chin,

(01:10:55):
I said, and that's why they go get Micah and
give up to first for him because they know that
like she hit, she was dead on this. They gotta,
you gotta do something with it. This year. I got
three teams getting to the playoffside of his division. I
predicted that last year and I cashed in, and I'm
predicted this year. I'm gonna cash in. And the lines
of the Vikings and the Packers are all gonna get
into the playoffs at his division, but getting a game

(01:11:16):
changing guy like Michael Parsons. And I know people could
throw off the one game against the against the Packers
where he only had a tacculer two or something like that,
but we know from week one to week seventeen, he's
a difference He's a different maker. He's a difference maker.
He changes games with his athletic ability and just the
way to sniff the ball out of the way he
rushes the passer is where he's gonna shine for them,

(01:11:39):
and it's what they needed now. My only question about
the Packers is the receiving corps still very young and
no bona fide w R one has stepped out and
saying I'm the guy, line up, throw me the ball,
let's go score touchdowns. I'm still waiting for that key
to me. What Jordan Love is getting off to a
hot start.

Speaker 2 (01:11:57):
He has finished strong the last couple of years, right,
he needs to start strong because if he can get
off to a great start on the season and then
carry it through the entire season, that could hold you know,
again a game here, a game there is the difference
between you know, winning that division and dropping into the
wild card or being on the bubble as far as

(01:12:17):
the playoffs are concerned.

Speaker 1 (01:12:18):
And remember after the Dallas big win, they're up at
San Francisco. Yeah, they're controlling it. Now. He does throw
the pick, but the first pick hits off the receiver's hands.
Catch the damn ball for your quarterback. Then the last one,
they're trying to come back leading in the fourth quarter,
he overthrows this guy throws it right to the safety
that's on him. But they're winning that football game at
San Francisco after they beat Dallas in the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (01:12:39):
All right, quick note right now, second half are underway
for a couple of games, and the Dolphins have the
ball first in the second half. It was a disastrous
first half for Miami, trailing the Colts. No one saw
that one coming twenty to nothing and the score was
no deception. It was all Colts in that first half.
Daniel Jones one hundred and ninety seven yards pas. I've

(01:13:00):
seen seventeen to twenty two Jonathan Taylor on pace for
one hundred yards fifty two yards rushing. So the Dolphins
moving the ball there at midfield right now. I don't
know what Mike mcdana had to say, but at least
his team, and he just threw another interception. Unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (01:13:16):
He throws it right.

Speaker 2 (01:13:17):
To him in the middle of the field, to a
second interception of the game. It is a catastrophe for
the Miami Dolphins. And you just got to wonder, I mean,
you know this team as well as anyone, what is
going on? Because you were convinced, a lot of people convinced,
all right, get to a back on the field. Of
course that's gonna This was such a dynamic offense just
a couple of years ago, absolutely seemingly unstoppable offense, running

(01:13:42):
the ball, throwing the ball.

Speaker 1 (01:13:44):
And is he blinded?

Speaker 2 (01:13:45):
I mean he could not see a lot to do
right there, dropped into coverage a little bit. Very versatile guy.
I love him out of UCLA.

Speaker 1 (01:13:52):
This is what happens when you lock onto receivers. You
don't use your eyes to see the backside defenders coming.
And that's exact exactly well he did. Listen. I'm not
gonna make no excuses when he plays like crap. He's
playing like craps today. He's got three turnovers. You're not
winning this game. They're not winning this game. You're not
gonna win when you turn the ball. When your quarterback,
not just the team, when your quarterback turns the ball

(01:14:13):
over three times by himself, you have zero shots to
win that game.

Speaker 2 (01:14:17):
All right, So Colts will take over trying to increase
an already twenty nine in lead eleven minutes to go
in the third quarter. Much more coming up for the scores,
highlights analysis you need. This is end Zone Radio two.

Speaker 1 (01:14:29):
It back's to pass, rolling to his right, sets up
the levers over the picked off ryot two lot too.
With the interception, gets up off the mat. He's running
up field across the forty yard line.

Speaker 4 (01:14:40):
He's pushed at a balance in front.

Speaker 2 (01:14:42):
Of the Cults sideline and his teammates aren't we lobbing them?
That's the third takeaway today to buy the Colts defense
their second interception. That's the Colts Radio network once again,
end Zone Radio, Fox Sports Radio Studios. He shows sponsor
by DraftKings. Stay tuned because you'll hear more about DraftKings
and all it has to offer throughout the show DraftKings.

(01:15:04):
The Crown is yours. Good news though for the Dolphins.
After the interception, the defense held. Right now, the Colts
have kicked a field goal, so twenty three to nothing.
Now Colts lead the Dolphins third quarter and we have
the Cleveland Browns ladies and gentlemen getting in the end zone.
Joe Flacco to Tillman five yard touchdown pass and the

(01:15:28):
Browns have oh to the extra point where it is
there is oh, look, no, they put the point up,
but they waved it off. That look at that they.

Speaker 1 (01:15:37):
Had the ones. They put the point up, but they
waved the.

Speaker 2 (01:15:40):
That is our first missed extra point of the game.
Kicked extra points. So the Browns lead is sixteen to fourteen.
That could be a big point. But the Browns again
come out on the second half. Joe Flacco leads him
down the field. He's eighteen to twenty five hundred and
sixty seven yards and a score. And we got a
fight right now in the Steelers jetskin. There's a lot

(01:16:02):
fourth one. This is absolutely nuts. Flags are all over
the place right now. There is a lot of hostility
going on in this game. Teams that are not in
the same division. I know they swap quarterbacks, but right
now we've got personal fouls all over the place as well.
I mean, somebody got knocked down and it's like, what

(01:16:23):
the hell is that.

Speaker 1 (01:16:24):
But the thing is, that's that's not even a dirty
play that it's really honestly, it's a bully football kind
of a place like you don't have to but the
ball game is still live. The ball still live. I
don't hear the whistle yet, So I'm gonna take it.
I'm gonna take a shot at you. Wasn't a dirty hit.

Speaker 2 (01:16:40):
HiT's a blind side.

Speaker 1 (01:16:41):
Well that's not a dirty hit though. Blindside HiT's not
a dirty hit. It just means you need to have
your head. You're call like boxing, right, you're taking what
protect yourself at all times, and football is the same thing.
Keep your head on a swivel. Keep your head on
your head on a swivel. That's not my responsibility, that's
your responsibility too.

Speaker 2 (01:16:58):
But again, because that happens, you got to back up
your teammate.

Speaker 1 (01:17:01):
Right right, Yeah, oh no, of course. But the reason
why that's the reason why he took that shot is
because of all the energy that's in this game and
what we saw going in said a half trust me,
that's why he took that shot because he didn't have to.
But hey, Wizzle hadn't blown yet. It's it's you know,
it's a legal play. Let's throw some flags. This is
the referee to three flags you see on the field.
This is them trying to get this thing under control
right now, because if they don't, this thing's gonna turn

(01:17:22):
ugly and we're gonna get away from a football game,
all right.

Speaker 2 (01:17:24):
Updating all the scores right now. Commanders lead the Giants
fourteen to three two minutes into the second half. There,
Jets lead the Steelers nineteen seventeen. Steelers with the ball
eleven and a half minutes to go in the third.
Nine minutes to go in the third, Cardinals got a
field goal. They now lead the Saints twenty to ten.
Patriots and the Raiders haven't talked much about this game.

(01:17:45):
Raiders got off to a hot start nowhere since Patriots
lead the Raiders ten to seven, twelve minutes to go
in the third. You mentioned the Colts out of field
goal twenty three nothing over the Dolphins seven minutes to go. There,
Browns with the score missed extra sixteen to fourteen over
the Bengals seven minutes to go in the third. In
that game and tied up ten and ten. Buccaneers and

(01:18:07):
the Falcons twelve minutes to go. If you're asking about
the game between Jacksonville and Carolina. This could be an
afternoon game. This actually may still be going on when
the Bills and Ravens kickoff later tonight. We are still
in a weather delay in Jacksonville. Think about this. I mean,
we had the weather delay in Philadelphia, right We were

(01:18:29):
shut down for over an hour in that game, and
now it's happening again here in Jacksonville. When does that
happen where you have two extended weather delays Week one
of the NFL season.

Speaker 1 (01:18:41):
I grew up on the East Coast. I've lived in
the mid Atlantic, the Northeast, and down South. Ladies and gentlemen,
this is very normal for this time of year in Florida.
It's for these these thunderstorms and lightning storms that come
through rampantly. Plus this is also hurricane season. So I
grew up. I grew with the Dolphins. I'm to play
on Friday or Saturday because the hurricanes are coming. They

(01:19:02):
aren't gonna be able to play on Saturday Sunday and
move games around. This is very normal for the state
of Florida at this time of year. So we're seen
this happen before. But they're gonna get the game in.
You know, the NFL, they're not gonna move it. They're
gonna get this game in today. All right.

Speaker 2 (01:19:16):
So again, at the very least, you're trying to get
a little respectability here with the Dolphins down twenty three
to nothing. Good news here TWOA just threw a twenty
one yard past the Tyreek Hill. Again, he is the
guy that defenses prepare for when you're playing the Dolphins.
How can we neutralize Tyreek Hill. We can't let this

(01:19:37):
guy just beat us, as he's beaten so many teams
over the years. So get him back into the offense,
you know, take baby steps anything. Look at these possessions today.
I in T, fumble pond, I in T. I mean
it's it's just been a myriad of mistakes, underperforming play
in the Colts far exceeding at least offensive anything that

(01:20:01):
we thought we were gonna see with Daniel Jones today. Now,
big run up the middle. So the Dolphins again, get
down the field, get some.

Speaker 1 (01:20:07):
Points, some points in the drive something I need a touchdown,
not points. They need a touchdown on this drive. Right, Hey,
this game is out of hand, but not out of hand.
We've seen Miami comeback, I e. Baltimore three years ago,
down though, was it thirty thirty eight to ten or
something like that. So and then not saying it's not possible.
I don't think it's happening today. I'm not gonna be
that guy. But get down the field, get some points

(01:20:28):
on the board, get some different feelings, because right now
it's not working.

Speaker 2 (01:20:32):
All right, We're gonna get into our third hour coming
up of end Zone Radio, and it's gonna be known
as the No Huddle Hour.

Speaker 1 (01:20:39):
Coming up.

Speaker 2 (01:20:39):
This is end Zone Radio, and we kick off our
No Huddle Hour here on end Zone or Radio right
here in the Fox Sports Radio studios. This show is
sponsored by Draft Kings. Stay tuned because you can hear
more about DraftKings and all it has to offer throughout
the show. DraftKings. The Crown is you. Yeah, The No

(01:21:00):
Huddle Hour will be our three of end Zone Radio
every single week. And why is it No Huddle Hour?
It's simple. We go into overdrive, second half, underway and
all these games as we head down the stretch. By
the end of this hour, we're gonna get some final
scores around the National Football League. I have a question
here about this game between the Raiders and the Patriots.
Raiders retake the lead, Ashton Genty with his first NFL touchdown.

(01:21:26):
But I don't get this. So Chip Kelly comes in
as the new offensive coordinator of the Raiders, right, and
you got this kid, Ashton Genty that I think we
all agree has the potential to be a superstar talent
in this league. Gino Smith twenty three pass attempts Ashton
Genty's seven rushing attempts in a close game. That's not
like they're trailing, you know, so yeah, you throw the

(01:21:47):
ball a lot if you're down big, But in a
game against New England where you know it's an even matchup,
why they have nine rushing attempts. One of them is
Gino Smith scrambles. I'm I mean, they're not running the ball,
and you're not utilizing a talent that I know, Ashton
Genty is.

Speaker 1 (01:22:06):
This is an example of making football a lot of
times harder than it has to be. When you have
a talent and a rookie who doesn't have the tread
on his tires, he's not worn down opening Sunday on
the road, you run the football, especially with a guy
who most of us think is generational his size, his speed,

(01:22:29):
his toughness, his power, his explosiveness, his vision. Everything he
brings to the table As a National Football League running back,
he checks every box. And for some reason, you're putting
the ball on the road. It's Gino's hands. Now, I
would hold a bunch of these targets to are brock
Bowers if that's what we're gonna throw the ball to.
But I look at brock Bowers. He's got six targets.

(01:22:51):
Jacoby Myers got more targets than he does. He's got
six for eighty five. Brock Barers only got three catches.
If you're gonna throw the ball around, I think brock
Bowers needs to.

Speaker 2 (01:22:59):
Have more target is then, Jacobi, Now I agree with you.
It's interesting they are spreading the ball around. But I
ashen genty seven carries makes absolutely no sense going against
a team that you should win against. All right, ten
ten Buccaneers Falcons. This one's been tight throughout and now
the Buccaneers on the verge of getting the upper hand.
They have a second goal right now at the Falcons

(01:23:21):
ten yard line. We got seven and a half minutes
to go in the third and we are in the
end zone, Bucky Irving getting in the end zone for
Tampa Bay. So there it is, right there. The Buccaneers
have retaken the lead sixteen to ten, penning the extra point.
And by the way, this would be a bad loss
for Atlanta. You're at home.

Speaker 1 (01:23:41):
You get this.

Speaker 2 (01:23:42):
Huge division matchup against Tampa Bay, the team you're chasing
to win this division, and you give the advantage of
opening the season at home, and right now you are trailing,
still a lot of time left, obviously, but trailing sixteen
to ten.

Speaker 1 (01:23:58):
Winning on the extra point, I don't think would be
a bad loss. I took the Bucks to win this game.
They're in point and a half favorite. I did take
the under forty seven and a half, so that looks
like I should be safe there at seven to twenty
six left in the third quarter, seventeen to ten now
for the Bucks on the road. But I mentioned in
about an hour ago this defense settled in. We had

(01:24:19):
the Michael Pennix throw screen to Bijon. Bjeon does what
Bijeon does, makes a few guys miss turns on that
Texas Peak gets to the end zone. But since then
they haven't been able to really move the football on
because I don't think people are given this the credit
to how good this Bucks defense has been the last
two or three years, the reason why they won this division,
and it's showing up now. But these early division games,

(01:24:42):
they're tough, man, whether you're at home or whether you're
on the road.

Speaker 2 (01:24:44):
Steve all Right, speaking of early division games, Bengals and
the Browns. Bengals are lining up for a field goal
right now to tie, to take the lead, sixteen to
fourteen Browns three minutes to go in the third quarter.
The kick is good, so the Bengals retake the lead
seven seventeen sixteen. But you talk about defense, I mean
we're inside three minutes to go left in the third

(01:25:05):
quarter and Joe Burrow has one hundred and four yards passage.
I mean the Cleveland defense has shut down the Bengals offense.
They only have one hundred and fifty nine total yards
in this game. Jamar Chase stuck two catches twenty six
yards for a guy that rattled off a triple Crown
receiving year a year ago. So yeah, the Browns defense

(01:25:27):
is for real. The question is can you get enough
offense going when you have literally zero running game zero.
They have twenty eight yards on the ground, Joe Flacco
going to have to do it through the air. He's
eighteen to twenty six hundred and sixty seven yards. He
did throw a pick, has a touchdown, But Joe Burrow
fourteen and twenty one, one hundred and four yards. I mean,

(01:25:48):
that's only five yards an attempt. So they can't get
the ball down the field against this Brown's defense.

Speaker 1 (01:25:55):
And that's the problem right now. If you can't stretch
the field game of football, you have very little shot
at being able to move the ball. We're seeing it
right now with my beloved Dolphins right now. They can't
stretch the field. Even though you have a Tyree Hill.
People are playing the top to Tampa two covers defense now.
They're letting him get behind people. So if you can't

(01:26:17):
move the ball at least especially in the intermediate portion
of the field, the scenes with your tight ends, running
backs out in the flats, things of that nature, you
don't have a shot. You're gonna struggle to move the football.
When you struggle to move the football, you struggle to score.
If you struggle to score, I don't think it takes
brain surgery to know you're gonna struggle to win, and
that's what we're seeing with some of these games. Right here,

(01:26:38):
as we see Justin Fields once again use his feet,
as I said, makes a play, gets it to who
his number one guy, Garrett Wilson, gets him all the
way down to the three yard line.

Speaker 2 (01:26:46):
But by every level, this has been the best game
of the day. And the Jets just got in the
end zone. Justin Fields there gets it across the goal line.
So this has been a back and forth game. The
Jets now extending their lead to twenty five seventeen, penning
the extra point on the two yard keeper by Justin Fields,

(01:27:07):
and both quarterbacks have played very well in this game.
Justin Fields, Uh, And I'm with you. You know, we
go back to when he was this high school superstar,
as you mentioned, Trevor Lawrence going to Clemson, so he
decided to go to Georgia. Things didn't work out there.
He got sort of an easy pass. Remember the mystery
about how he was I don't know. There was all

(01:27:28):
kinds of stuff about what went on on that campus
at Georgia that enabled him to not have to sit
out a year and go directly to Ohio State. The
rest was history. There but look at these numbers today.
Twelve to fifteen, one hundred and seventy three yards and
a touchdown, no picks. That's a passer radium one thirty
six point nine. Aaron Rodgers has a passer radium one
thirty eight point nine. So both of these quarterbacks have

(01:27:50):
been playing at an extremely high level throughout this game.
Justin Field also has thirty two yards rushing and a touchdown,
and so this is going to be back and forth.
Extra point is good twenty six seventeen. Jet's surprising a
lot of people right now, still four minutes to go
on the third quarter.

Speaker 1 (01:28:06):
In a day and age in sports talk Rado TV,
where all we talk about is quarterbacks, and we continue
to talk about the same ones all the time. We
get to open and Sunday, and who are the two
that are kind of playing the best right now? If
you had Aaron Rodgers and Justin Fils on your Bengo cards,
you're lying, Okay, we did two was playing the worst,
right We all had eyes on him. He's playing the

(01:28:27):
worst thing day. He's got Daniel right, Daniel Jones today.

Speaker 2 (01:28:31):
Look at the way he have twenty eight, two hundred
and fifty seven yards pass lead and a score and
he has a rushing touchdown as well.

Speaker 1 (01:28:40):
Yeah, Drake May's already turned the ball over and throwing
an interception. Flacco is now thrown an interception to turn
the ball over just in the day on opening Sunday,
And that's why I open a Sunday is so great.
We bring it back to the top hour of the show.
Right it's here. And as much as we think we know,
as many notes as I can write down and Steve,
you see my stuff color coded and highlight light and

(01:29:00):
a different pin so my eyes go right to different stats.
I want to spin out as fast as I can
when we think we know it all, guys, the people
on the field, the grown men on the field, are
gonna make the final decisions on what we see on Sundays,
and there's nothing we could control. Monson mentioned our fantasy league.
I feel for you, Monti. My fantasy league is in
the toilet right now too. But it's only week one. Well,

(01:29:20):
it's just week one.

Speaker 2 (01:29:21):
Here's another factor. So we've been talking about after you know,
Saquon Barkley and Henry both had these huge years, right
the running back is back not so much today right now,
the leading rushers so far today is Bryce Hall has
eighty eight yards, Jonathan Taylor has seventy one. But I'm
looking at some of these running back numbers today, not

(01:29:43):
a whole lot on the ground. So Week one has been,
you know, throw the ball around a little bit. Defenses obviously,
as usual, have a little bit of an upper hand.
But I thought, maybe you know, we're gonna see more
of a breakout year with running backs, but at least
so far, it has not been that way.

Speaker 1 (01:30:00):
And once again, because defenses are ahead, I also think
it's something else that we're seeing to here. You mentioned
this about the play calling for some reason, I don't
understand if I was, like if I was an offensive
coordinator NFL Week one. I'm as basic and vanilla as
I can be. We are running dive, left, dive, right, counter, left, counter, right, cross,
buck left, cross, right, toss. We're gonna throw the ball,

(01:30:23):
but I'm definitely gonna run twenty five or more like
intentional running plays. I'm definitely not gonna ask Gino Smith
to throw over twenty times. And I got this horse,
I got this young buckaroo, this little young whippa snapper
and Jenzy and he doesn't even have ten carries like
that opening week. Why aren't you.

Speaker 2 (01:30:41):
Mind the ball thirty yards? He does have his score,
by the way, receiving wise, biggest numbers Garrett Wilson seven catches,
ninety five yards and the score, and that's with Justin
Fields throwing him the ball. Marvin Harrison Junior, another guy
that we've been talking about, did four catches fifty nine

(01:31:01):
yards and a score. Is Marvin Harrison Junior gonna finally
get that breakout year Everyone predicted superstart and for him
as he entered into the National Football League. The Jaguars
and the Panthers are finally back underway. So with eight
and a half minutes to go in the first half,

(01:31:24):
the Panthers have the ball right now, trailing against the Jags.
We had an extended weather delay in this game. Bryce Young,
by the way, is four of seven eighteen yards and
a pick. Yeah, you know I've been I've been hanging on,
hanging on Hope. He's a local SoCal guy, so I've
been following him since. He and Ui ang La Lay

(01:31:46):
were the two super hyped high school quarterbacks out of SoCal,
one going to Alabama, one going to Clemson. Predicting showdowns
for national championships. Obviously for ujung La lay and never materialized.
Bryce Young won the heisman. He goes to a bad team.
I thought he made progress a year ago. It's a
division that is not great. But at some point, Bryce

(01:32:07):
Young has got to do more.

Speaker 1 (01:32:09):
He just hass to gotta have talent and able to
do more. And speaking to him, and back to high school,
those games, those matchups you talk about with DJ, I
called those back to back for Fox Sports West. I
called those high school championship games at Sorito's College. I
belt both years. I called those games. So I've seen
that young man win one and lose one. He won
the first time, then came back and they got beaten

(01:32:31):
the last second drive to Bosco the second time. But
I'm with you, at some point, you gotta do more.
But you gotta have more. To do more. You can't
nobody can do more by themselves. Guys at the quarterback position,
let's let's be honest and get rid of this. You
gotta have more. But they It shows how bad they
were that even with high draft picks and with money

(01:32:52):
under the cap, they still couldn't make this. For now,
once again, it's the third quarter of Week one. You
can see energy, right, you can see body language, you
can see some things a week one, guys, it's not
just a washaway. Week one and oh or zero in
one is how teams are gonna finish come come Tuesday morning.

Speaker 2 (01:33:12):
Yeah right, well that's just what it is. I'll tell
you what I see. The Dolphins just cave in and completely.
Here's the Colts are about to score again, already leading
this game twenty three to nothing. All right, we got
fourth quarters around the NFL. That's why this was over.
No huddle hour. Keep it right here for all the
latest score, stats, analysis.

Speaker 1 (01:33:30):
Everything you need. This is end Zone Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:33:32):
Ashton Genty had fifty career rushing touchdowns at Boise State.
Is this the time? First first as a Raider, First
and goal at the three, and Gino's fishing the shotgun,
snap hand off, Genty trying.

Speaker 1 (01:33:45):
To pick his way forward.

Speaker 2 (01:33:46):
He's pushed you get.

Speaker 8 (01:33:46):
Down of the piles.

Speaker 5 (01:33:47):
Touchdown Raiders, Ashton Genty his first career store.

Speaker 2 (01:33:52):
Have the Raiders capitalize on the pick, they go down
for six. That's Raider Nation Radio, and it will be
the first of many in his NFL career. Ash and
genty getting in the end zone. Raiders have added a
field goal. They now lead seventeen to ten on the
road against the Patriots final minute of the third quarter
in that game. By the way, Brock Powers, I mean,

(01:34:14):
this guy's going to be a fantasy football legend. First
receiver today to crack one hundred yards receiving five catches
one hundred and three yards for the future Hall of Famer.
I'm going to say it right now, Brock Powers and
the Raiders gon lead this game seventeen to ten. Once again,
this is end Zone Radio. We're in the Fox Sports
Radio studios all right throughout the show every single week.

(01:34:35):
My man here, he's gonna give us some excellent picks
coming up, either during games, maybe touchdown picks games down
the road. What do you got for us right now?

Speaker 1 (01:34:45):
VJ, I will say, Man, I had Chase Brown as
the first TV. I had Beijon as a first TV.
So cast in on both of those on a plus
five to fifty and a plus one ninety five. But
something I got this afternoon, man, two games I got
my eyes on really big is the Texans are out
here in lovely Los Angeles. As so far they take
on the Rams in the afternoon set, and the Rams

(01:35:06):
are a three point favorite. As I wrote it down
last night. Lines might have changed earlier today. You know
how that happens back and forth a lot. Right now,
it's three and a half points. I'm still taking the
Rams to cover, but I like the under on the
forty three and a half. I think both these defenses
will be stout today, and we're seeing it right We're
seeing it all over the league. Few teams exploded right now.

(01:35:27):
You got you see what the coach are doing, and
the Jets and Distillers are both pushing towards thirty points
a piece themselves. But I like this to be a
low scoring game. I got a first touchdown, pookin the
coup if you want the first touchdowns A plus seven
point fifty. So if you throw fifty bucks on that,
I throw one hundred on that, make yourself a little change.
Another one I love too, Lamar Jackson sixty plus rushing

(01:35:48):
yards plus one forty five. I think they may struggle
to throw a little bit tonight, and they may be
one of the teams that said, hey, we see all
these teams trying to pass earlier today, let's turn around
and hand it to Derrick Henry. Hey, let's let them
are run around little bit tonight and get this dub
up a Orchard Park.

Speaker 2 (01:36:02):
All right, Drafting Sportsbook and official sports betting partner of
the NFL. It is a fourth and goal for the Dolphins,
trailing thirty to nothing. There's only six and a half
minutes to go in the game. They're just letting the
clock run and get Miami out of town as quick
as possible. You're not going to take a field goal here?
Are you on fourth down? You can't do that?

Speaker 1 (01:36:21):
No, no, no, you got to go for this right
all right?

Speaker 2 (01:36:23):
So here we go, fourth and goal now for the
Dolphins trying desperately to at the very least get on
the score board. And they're at the six yard line.
So this is not like some punching touchdown. We're going
to have a timeout. There is a flag on the
play and it looks like a delay of game.

Speaker 1 (01:36:41):
Wow, that's beautiful, I mean beautiful, that's hot. That's hot.
I mean, yeah, you take the three now? Yes, yes,
if it's if you back and take the three? Why
are you trying to go for it at this point?
I get you may you want to work on something.
But obviously what you've called today as worked all of.

Speaker 2 (01:36:58):
A sudden backup back touchdowns for the Pittsburgh Steelers. What
the heck is going on here?

Speaker 1 (01:37:04):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:37:05):
So the Steelers scored and then they must have gotten
the ball right back because Aaron Rodgers just threw his
third touchdown pass of the game. He has been on
absolute five I'm sorry, his fourth touchdown pass of the
game for Aaron Rodgers, who looks like an MVP. He

(01:37:25):
is seventeen of twenty three in this game. Wait a second,
I'm gonna have to update these stats for you. In
the second year. The extra point is good. The Steelers
now have taken a thirty one to twenty six lead
over the Jets. Fourth quarter just underway. This has been
a phenomenal football game. So two quick scores by the Steelers.
We'll update you how they got the ball back. But

(01:37:45):
Aaron Rodgers in this game has thrown four touchdown passes.
It was a fumble, they fumble by the Jets, so
they Steelers got the ball right back and Aaron Rodgers
delivers the touchdown pass for touch down passes today for
Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 1 (01:38:03):
I want to know who had that on their being
goo car today. Absolutely, if you say you did, you're
you're fitting three your teeth. People, you know you didn't
that this is and see, this is why this is
the game. We've had our eyes on this on our
top screen here is because but just the emotions. Think
about it, both these quarterbacks coming back to their playing
against their old team. You know there's been talk Steve,

(01:38:23):
you know, somebody's been in the locker room running their
mouth a little bit, telling the secrets and getting that juices.
And then we've seen the fisted cuffs. We've seen the pushing,
the late hits, the personal fouls like this game now
and I think they woke up the bear with Aaron Rodgers.
I want to admit that. I think they poked the
bear and woke him up and now and now it's
on more importantly, he ran over like three people.

Speaker 2 (01:38:47):
So went after the delay of game penalty, they went
back to the eleven yard like and h gets in
the the pass room. Two s gives Mike mc today
one more week of life. Yeah barely. They went for two.
Did not get it. So it's thirty to six, the
Colts leading in Miami. Right now, we're just six minutes
ago in that game. But this this such point right now,

(01:39:09):
I'll go for I thought they had already missed it.

Speaker 1 (01:39:11):
All, right, here we go. You go for the two
point conversion. There is a two.

Speaker 2 (01:39:14):
Point conversion, and got it. So there it is. Two
point conversion.

Speaker 1 (01:39:19):
Is good.

Speaker 2 (01:39:20):
And it's thirty to eight right now, Colts leading the Dolphins.
Games over six twenty one to go here. Uh, we
are in our no huddle hour. So things are going
to definitely pick up pace here as we keep our
eye on these games and which games are going to
actually come down to the finish line and give us
the exciting finish. One of the games that we know
is going to be that is this game between the
Bengals and the Browns, and Joe Flackwell continues to throw

(01:39:45):
the ball really well. He's two hundred and twenty five
yards through the air twenty two and thirty two. Browns
have the ball trailing the Bengals seventeen to sixteen, and
you know, we've still got two minutes to go in
this game, now down to eleven minutes to go in
the fourth quarter. But you know, Flacco's played well, and
you know, again they haven't played life Flacco. Yeah, he's

(01:40:06):
played life fla throwing the ball on every down because
they literally have no running game. Even against one of
the worst defenses in the league, the Browns have zero
running game.

Speaker 1 (01:40:17):
Listen, man, it's football when you get to this point,
Like you know, if you even look up at this
Falcons and Bucks game, right, it's eleven minutes to go.
Do what you've been doing at this point. Don't change
if you haven't been running the ball. Hell let it,
let it fly, sling it around, throw it to the
running backs in the flash like we've seen Cleveland do
on a couple of possessions. The quick hits to the
tight end. The tight end has been very integral in

(01:40:37):
this game for the Cleveland Browns. It's a safe throw
for Flacco and he's done it a thousand times, so
it's nothing. It's like Kobe Bryant taking a jump shot
from the elbow free throw line, like he's done that
so many times. He could do it with his eyes
closed and knock him down. He can throw that the
slant and throw the scene to the tight end and
keep the chains. Movies fan and junior guy, you're high
on the guy that you like a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:40:58):
Super starry at Bowling Green. I mean, the guy had
ridiculous numbers a year ago. Joe Flacco. If you had
had a prop bet before this game saying that Joe
Flacco would have more than twice as many passing yards
as Joe Burrow, what kind of odds would you go
on that? But it's not even close. Flaco has two
hundred and twenty eight yards passing in this game and
Joe Burrow has one hundred and three one hundred and

(01:41:20):
three yards passing for Joe Flacco, and we got ten
minutes to go, less than ten minutes to go right
now in the fourth quarter. So again, it's Week one.
You never know what to do in terms of well
wagering at the very least on what's going to happen.

Speaker 1 (01:41:34):
To the games today. I just know something, all right.

Speaker 2 (01:41:36):
Let's find out right now, little breath, because we're coming
to the exciting finishes now in our no huddle hour
here on End Zone Radio. Let's find out what is
trending right now with a monsie. But by the way,
has been raising her arms, you know, because.

Speaker 8 (01:41:52):
Well Devon Hm in my fantasy I'm playing against both.

Speaker 6 (01:41:55):
You know you didn't like that one.

Speaker 2 (01:41:56):
Oh, I'm playing again.

Speaker 7 (01:41:57):
Now, am I really? I think I don't know.

Speaker 8 (01:42:00):
I think I'm pretty sure it's you and I in
that one against each other. So not that I care
about the Dolphins score no offense VJ but Devon Hchan, you.

Speaker 2 (01:42:08):
Know what I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (01:42:10):
Yeah, that's why I got so excited on that.

Speaker 8 (01:42:12):
After you guys were talking about the fumble and then
the Jets getting the bars.

Speaker 6 (01:42:15):
Steelers, it is too.

Speaker 8 (01:42:17):
Confusing to have Aaron Rodgers and Justin Fields playing on
the opposite teams that they were playing online.

Speaker 6 (01:42:21):
It's so confusing. Like still right now, I wanted to
say the opposite of what just happened.

Speaker 8 (01:42:26):
Steelers got the ball after the fumble, and Aaron Rodgers,
like you guys talked about his fourth touchdown pass seventeen
of twenty three, two hundred and twenty nine yards, four touchdowns,
and the Steelers are on top of the Jets thirty
one to twenty six, still early in the fourth quarter,
and this has probably been one of the more exciting
games today.

Speaker 6 (01:42:44):
A lot of scoring back and forth.

Speaker 8 (01:42:45):
After a long weather delay, Panthers and Jaguars were back
in action. Brian Thomas Junior with the rushing touchdown, and
the Jaguars are now on top of the Panthers seventeen
to three with ninety seconds to.

Speaker 6 (01:42:55):
Go in the first half. Early in the.

Speaker 8 (01:42:58):
Fourth quarter, Commanders have a lead of the Giants fourteen
to six.

Speaker 6 (01:43:01):
A little shocked on that score as well.

Speaker 8 (01:43:03):
Also early in the fourth with the Cardinals beating the
Saints twenty to ten, Kyler Murray eighteen of twenty six,
one hundred and fifty one yards and two touchdowns Raiders
over the Patriots seventeen to ten early in the fourth
quarter by Ashton genty his first touchdown of his NFL career.
Nine carries thirty yards and that touchdown the Bengals edging
the Browns seventeen sixteen early in the fourth.

Speaker 6 (01:43:23):
You've mentioned how Joe.

Speaker 8 (01:43:24):
Burrow's numbers are not Joe Burrow like, but Joe Flaccobj's
rights being Joe Flacos.

Speaker 2 (01:43:28):
He's just being Flacco.

Speaker 6 (01:43:30):
He's thrown the ball thirty five times.

Speaker 1 (01:43:32):
He's twenty five five. He's sleezy.

Speaker 7 (01:43:34):
The ball.

Speaker 1 (01:43:37):
He's going to have.

Speaker 2 (01:43:37):
He's going to have close to fifty passes by the
end of the game. Because they have zero onening game.
They're just gonna throw on every four.

Speaker 8 (01:43:43):
They're just throwing the ball, which is fine seven yard
seriously in a touchdown. And the Buccaneers and Falcons low scoring.
But it has been back and forth. Tampa Bay is
on top seventeen thirteen early in the fourth quarter when
it comes to base bulk Hal Rawley fifty three home
runs a three run shot.

Speaker 6 (01:44:01):
Now, the Mariners did crush the Braves eighteen to two.

Speaker 8 (01:44:04):
Guardians took down the Rays two to one. Show Heyo
Twani with two home runs in this one, trying to
snap the Dodgers losing streak. And they're on top of
the Orioles four to two bottom of the sixth inning.
Yankees back on top of the Blue Jays for three
top of the seventh inning, Tigers holding on to their
lead over the White Sox four three bottom of the
sixth and the Reds are beating the Mets three to
one top of the eighth inning. And we'd also have

(01:44:25):
I know it's so much going on. The US Open,
the Men's final is going on right now. Carlos alcaz
has won the first set against Yanick Cinner six games
to two.

Speaker 1 (01:44:34):
Back to you.

Speaker 2 (01:44:34):
Guys, that's the third rate Grand Slam. They have faced
each other, they have clearly separated themselves and the rest
of the pack.

Speaker 8 (01:44:40):
I came across a tweet somebody I don't know that
tweeted because it was a graphic of them to facing
each other, Yonick Cinner and Carlos Hocrass, and the person
was like, there has to be other tennis players.

Speaker 1 (01:44:49):
I was about to say, it is the it is
the least climbacic Men's US Open side that for round one.
We already knew step and I've sat here. We said
it for Wimbledon. We sat here and said it for
the Fritch Open together. It's how long we've been doing
on Sunday Show together. When the bracket came out, I
looked at go okay one verse two and you the

(01:45:11):
rest of you guys fits. You might be a nice
little story. I get to Djokovic, you might beat you
little story. But these two guys are playing in the final.
HiT's like, why watch it until today?

Speaker 2 (01:45:22):
Well, even the joker is can see the fact I
can't beat these I.

Speaker 6 (01:45:25):
Can't, and he doesn't. He just looks older.

Speaker 2 (01:45:29):
He just can't.

Speaker 1 (01:45:31):
The doll and saw, Yeah, did they get old?

Speaker 2 (01:45:34):
Did anyone the entire US Open. Even take a set
from Center. I don't I don't think so thing go
Alcoraz norrect Alcaraz hasn't lost the set. Yes, yeah, Center
has said Alcoraz has lost a seal set uh in
this US Open. All right, guys, Just when the Steelers
take the late thirty one to twenty six, guess what.
The Jets are right back there and they are now

(01:45:56):
with a first down. There's a flag on that play.
Let's get an update. By the way, once again, this
is end Zone Radio. It's our No Huddle hour. We're

So this incredible back and forth game between the Jets
and the Steelers continues right now. I did not see
the flag, but it is now first in goal for

(01:46:39):
the Jets trailing the Steelers thirty one to twenty six.
Still plenty of time in this game, nine to sixteen
to go in the fourth quarter. So this is impressive
again by the Jets. Right here you are, you give
up a touchdown, you get the fumble on the kickoff,
the Steelers score again, and now they get the ball back.
And by the way, Breese Hall this game over one

(01:47:01):
hundred yards rushing for Breise Hall for the Jets today
seventeen carries one hundred and four yards, So first and
goal at the five yard line for the Jets.

Speaker 1 (01:47:11):
There's my cash here for Miles Garrett on the sack
today as he finally gets to Joe Burrow as the
pocket collapses as they're trying to come back from this
one point lead. But just back to the Steelers and
Jets really fast, and I don't want to make this
a justin field show, but listen, it's the game that's on.
He's the one on the field performance, so you gotta
keep talking about it. It could be a difference maker

(01:47:31):
for this team. And like I said before, people know
how I feel about the Jets, but I've always liked
this kid. I liked him coming out of high school.
I loved them at Georgia, hated the fact he was
at Ohio State and didn't go for much THEAH. But
once he got to the league. I've always supported Justin
Fhild's and been a Justin Filds guy. I thought. I
thought that strangely, so I thought they should have draft,
should have kept him. Took back brock Bowers number one overall,

(01:47:53):
said it all live ready on. People laughed at me.
But this guy can move the football and do some things.
You gotta put weapons around. He's got some pretty good weapons.
With the Jets. Right now, it looks like they're going
to go into the end zone and take Well.

Speaker 2 (01:48:04):
Here, Miles Garrett is just destroying the offensive line of
the Bengals. Joe Burrow narrowly avoided a safety. He had
to dive out of the end zone to avoid the safety.
So now the Bengals are going to have to punt
basically out of the back of their end zone. There
it is back line of the end zone. Here a

(01:48:26):
fourth and twenty eight. They can't get anything going offensively against.

Speaker 1 (01:48:32):
Was that a sack for Was that a sack for
Garrett too? No, they didn't call it.

Speaker 2 (01:48:35):
Called that a Sacklee because he was able to dive
out of the sack.

Speaker 1 (01:48:38):
By the first too. Yeah, we have a bit of
injury news.

Speaker 2 (01:48:42):
Monsey just handed said this, but like, yeah, brock Bowers
is in the medical ten and he is no boy
questionable to return right now?

Speaker 1 (01:48:49):
Tight end for the rest.

Speaker 2 (01:48:49):
Oh boy, yeah boy, I'm not the kissing.

Speaker 7 (01:48:52):
Yeah, Miles Garrett does have two sacks today.

Speaker 1 (01:48:55):
Oh thank you. There we go. There's another cash in
right there, had it with two plus two or more sacks.

Speaker 2 (01:49:00):
All right, So Miles Garrett way to that defensive player.
But Joe Burrow is absolutely got zero going on in
this game. I mean, his numbers are staggering now thirteen
or twenty two, only one hundred and three yards. He's
been sacked three times for eighteen yards. The two of
those sacks by Miles Garrett, so eighty five net yards
passing for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Speaker 7 (01:49:23):
Since I wasn't here last week, can I throw on
a name for first coach fired? Absolutely, Zach Taylor. Zach
Taylor could well be if the Bengals.

Speaker 1 (01:49:31):
You know, here's the thing, we didn't mention that that's
a good one.

Speaker 2 (01:49:36):
Me Let me ask you this. I mean again, this
is this is one of the worst franchises in the league.
Mike Brown doesn't spend any money. There's no commitment from
the organization. Anytime the Bengals have a breakout year, it's
never by designs by accident, by accident. That's why the
Bengals can never follow up on any success that they
ever have on the field, because there's no investment from

(01:49:57):
the organization to do what you need to do. I
I'm Joe Burrow, get me out of here. Otherwise, as
you mentioned once, he could be destined to be in
the next Damn Marino where he gets an early Super
Bowl loss on his record, has a Hall of Fame
career and never gets back to the Super Bowl. Justin fields,
diving for the end zone, he comes up just short.

(01:50:17):
So we're gonna look at a third and goal right
now for the Jets seven and a half minutes ago, trailing.

Speaker 7 (01:50:22):
The Steelers, fourth down coming up, they have.

Speaker 2 (01:50:28):
It's a nasty sack right before that play.

Speaker 1 (01:50:30):
Yeah, with that was on him. You got a block, guys.
You can't let guys just run free. That linebacker came free.
Somebody missed theirs. Simon Owin, Zach Taylor, though, bo I
like that. But this is a franchise who didn't fire
Marv Lewis for all those years where they were playoff places,
right they they day Dar years. They were terrible for

(01:50:50):
three or four years in a row.

Speaker 7 (01:50:52):
They didn't have Joe Burrow and they didn't do that.

Speaker 1 (01:50:53):
And yeah they had red Rifle.

Speaker 3 (01:50:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:50:56):
I don't think they'll listen to Burrow. You think Burrow's
got that kind of power there.

Speaker 7 (01:50:59):
I think BUR's to ask out after this year.

Speaker 1 (01:51:01):
Mike Stephen, I think the same thing.

Speaker 7 (01:51:03):
I think there's a reason why the Rams made sure
they have two first round picks going into next year's draft.

Speaker 2 (01:51:08):
Interesting, all right, well that could well be. And yes,
you just say, well, they'll never trade me out.

Speaker 1 (01:51:13):
They would. You know who else got two first round picks?
Dallas Cowboys, Yeah they do, Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (01:51:18):
Yeah, but they just paid Dak Prescot.

Speaker 1 (01:51:21):
Move right, don't stop stop that, They'll move back for Borough.
All right.

Speaker 2 (01:51:24):
So, uh, Hayward is hobbled a little bit there on
the field for the Steelers right now. That's the delay.
So the Jets are facing a fourth and goal, all right,
So seven and a half minutes to go, do you
go for it. Do you get the field goal to
cut it to two?

Speaker 1 (01:51:38):
Yes, you take the seven and a half minute, seven
twelve to go. You better not go for it. I mean,
you take the three.

Speaker 2 (01:51:45):
The ball right, it's not like you can move them.

Speaker 1 (01:51:47):
This is a bad Now. If they score, of course
I'll look stupid. This is a bad call. This is
a bad call. Seven minutes you take the three because
guess what a field goal wins it?

Speaker 2 (01:51:55):
Again, Well, if you can on a go for right now,
the Steeler I've done very little to slow down and
Dan Campbell train, they're gonna go agro waking this call
right now the Jets coach is deciding to go for it.
It is a long one fourth a long one. And
now they got to the line of scrimmage and what

(01:52:17):
is going on. And here's the thing with this being
a time out for the Jets. They wanted to see
what the Steelers is gonna line up.

Speaker 1 (01:52:23):
Like, here's the thing about the long one. If you
if you just really have that type of power game
up front. Okay, this is Breese Hall, dive left or
dive right. Fine, but for some reason this is gonna
be some type of play action. Try to get justin
Fields out on the perimeter and maybe hit a tighten
our full bet that floats and sneaks out into the
flat back. And I don't think they're gonna line up

(01:52:45):
on this about a one and a half and just
think they're gonna run Briese Hall right at this Steelers
defense that has kind of shifted in the second half.
I still say you take the field goal here. I
do not like this call, all right.

Speaker 2 (01:52:57):
So we're in the time out right now. We're just
gonna keep it here until we get a resolve on
this fourth and goal for the Jets against seven oh
six to go in the fourth quarter. Pittsburgh leads this
back and forth battle thirty one to twenty six. Both
quarterbacks have been outstanding in this game. Aaron Rodgers seventeen
to twenty three, two and twenty nine yards, four touchdowns,

(01:53:20):
no picks, Justin Fields fourteen to seventeen, two hundred and
six yards and a touchdown. He's also scored a touchdown
to the ground, and it's all walk it for Justin
Fields as they did. Well. That was a good call,
thank you, Thank good.

Speaker 1 (01:53:35):
That's the only play if you're gonna run that play,
the only play you can run his play action and
get him on the perimeter. Do not think you're running
right at this defense. Great play call by the coordinator.

Speaker 2 (01:53:45):
All right, So they're gonna go for two apparently, and
we're gonna continue on with all of our coverage and
also coming up, it's time for our perfet picks, so
explain it.

Speaker 1 (01:53:56):
On the other side.

Speaker 2 (01:53:57):
This is end Zone Radio.

Speaker 4 (01:53:59):
Fourth down, all out, the one gold On step back
breasts Hall in motion, goes Rucker play action play.

Speaker 1 (01:54:06):
Got to the right Justin downs, then.

Speaker 4 (01:54:08):
He will scrout into the end zone with.

Speaker 1 (01:54:11):
The misdirection touchdown.

Speaker 4 (01:54:14):
Second rushing touchdown for Justin Fields, perfectly executed by the Jets,
and they've got the lead.

Speaker 2 (01:54:21):
That's Q one O four point three Jets Radio Network.
Unfortunately for the Jets, they butcher the two point conversion,
not only failing to make it, but burning a time
out in the process. Jets lead the Steelers thirty two
to thirty one, stealers of the ball back still more
than six minutes ago in the fourth quarter. This is
end Zone Radio in the Fox Sports Radio studios. The

(01:54:43):
show is sponsored by DraftKings. Stay tuned because you'll hear
more about DraftKings and all it has to offer throughout
the show, DraftKings, the crown is yours, and it's that time.

Speaker 1 (01:54:54):
Here we go.

Speaker 2 (01:54:54):
The precise profitable yais over under a half.

Speaker 1 (01:54:59):
Of flagrant gentlemen. Are your perfect picks? Welcome into the
perfect picks.

Speaker 2 (01:55:05):
If you're new for us, We've gone through an entire
offseason where we had over unders. These are off the wall.
Whatever we can get brand new slate is out here.
We're throwing out the records from the offseason. Week one,
Week one, we still have all the over unders for
the futures. Every team you guys picked out win totals,
and we've got a Bill Belichick. How long is he
gonna be in North Carolina? Prop to keep an eye

(01:55:27):
on too, But we move on. Let's start with the
afternoon games Lions and Packers, and everyone cannot stop talking
about Micah Parsons.

Speaker 1 (01:55:36):
He will be playing, I believe.

Speaker 2 (01:55:39):
I don't know if he got that epidural that they
talked about, but he will be trying to make a
go at it. The Packers have made it clear that like, look,
this is long term. He's gonna probably be on something
of account. But Lion's also starting a bunch of new
players in their interior of the offensive line to protect
Jared Goff. They've got a new center when Frank Ragnow

(01:55:59):
had to tire over the offseason. So I am setting
the line for Micah Parsons over under at one and
a half sacks in this game.

Speaker 1 (01:56:08):
Hmmm, that's a good one. I like that.

Speaker 2 (01:56:13):
Give me the over, Wow, give me over, and I'm
going under in this I'm going there.

Speaker 1 (01:56:20):
Why not, I'll take I'll take a big swing. You
know what.

Speaker 2 (01:56:23):
He'll be out there, But no, I I know I
what and a half.

Speaker 1 (01:56:30):
Under?

Speaker 2 (01:56:31):
I think the Lion's line is gonna hold up and
you're gonna see a lot of Jamier Gibs in this game.

Speaker 4 (01:56:34):
All right?

Speaker 1 (01:56:34):
What else the app for? I got him as my
first touchdown, by.

Speaker 2 (01:56:37):
The way, I I think so too. I think with
Kenny Clark out there, you know hey?

Speaker 7 (01:56:41):
All right?

Speaker 2 (01:56:41):
And moving on to the nighttime game, we have the
Bills and Ravens. Big matchup, two great quarterbacks. You two
have been arguing about them all off season between Lamar
Jackson Josh Allen. So I ask you who's gonna have
the higher passer rating, Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson. Well,
I'm gonna say right now, it's gonna be Josh Allen.
I'm gonna go first on this one, but I'm gonna

(01:57:02):
go with Josh Allen passer rating. Passer ratings rate doesn't
necessarily mean win or lose the game, but I think
Josh Allen is on a mission this year. He's got
that MVP in his pocket. Josh Allen's gonna come out
Firing's gonna have a better passer rating.

Speaker 1 (01:57:16):
It'd be too easy to agree, man, this week one,
Let's just take opposite swings all day long. Give me
l Jacks as the passer rated leader in this game tonight.
This Baltimore defense, guys, I'm telling you the guys that
were hurt last year, they're all back on this defense.
And he's gonna see something real. Josh awng wants he
sung real tonight, and Lamar Jackson I think he'll be

(01:57:37):
able to get into his playmaker.

Speaker 2 (01:57:38):
That is your first Grease of the twenty twenty five
NFL per fet picks. Beautiful, Chris, Thank you very much.
All Right, we're keeping our eye right now on the
Cleveland Browns. So what happened was Cleveland missed a field
goal that would have taken the lead. Now they have
the ball back. We got a minute and a half
to go and the clock is running. Cleveland has two
timeouts left. The Bengals have won. Bengals lead this game

(01:57:58):
seventy that's there, sat dead. It's intercepted on a tip.
It was a perfect pass flew out of the receiver's
hand and right into the Bengals hand. You feel like
the Browns have really outplayed the Bengals today long. They
have outplayed the Bengals all day long. But these weird

(01:58:20):
things happen. First, the missfield goal and watch this play
right here, VJ. So the passes on the money and
it goes right to the receiver's hands. Terrible, I mean,
it's just fat.

Speaker 1 (01:58:34):
That's terrible.

Speaker 2 (01:58:35):
And that is it. Uh, the the Bengals will take
over right through the receiver's hands. It flips up in
the air and set up to the ground and the
Bengals get the interception, and that is it.

Speaker 4 (01:58:48):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:58:48):
The Bengals are going to find a way here to
apparently hang on in a game that they were clearly
outplayed by the Cleveland Browns today.

Speaker 1 (01:58:57):
Is there a team that finds way to lose football
games in the last thirty years. Then the Cleveland Browns,
somebody if there is the Lions somebody. No, no, no,
not like, not not anymore, not anymore. They're still doing it. No,
it ain't the charges of the MANSI to this day,
they're still doing We all sat here and just watch this.

(01:59:18):
Bengals team got out played today totally forty nine yards.
And it wasn't just that drop. Jerry Judy dropped the
ball last possession and the tight end dropped two balls
the possession before that. This is who they are. It
don't matter who is gonna be a quarterback because Flacco's
played great today. He played like we said, like Flacco's

(01:59:40):
gonna play. And here we are a receiver dropping the ball.
Kudos turn of the second for being there. Tip, drill, dive,
make the catch, turn your body over so the ball
doesn't hit the turf. Don't worry about running it back
to hand, touch, boom down, don't matter. Game over.

Speaker 4 (01:59:54):
Now.

Speaker 1 (01:59:54):
They still have two timeouts. That's the thing. They still
got two timeouts. Hey, minue some change. We see where
we've see, we see change.

Speaker 2 (02:00:01):
I'm doing the math here. I think they would be
a miracle. By the way, if you'd said before the game,
Joe Flacco has two hundred and fifty nine yards passing
and Joe Burrow has so what one hundred and thirteen
yards for Joe Burrow and the Bengals are in a
position to win this game, all right. We're also keeping
our eye obviously on this matchup between the Steelers and

(02:00:24):
the Jets, so we're gonna have some exciting finishes coming
up on the other side. So of course you don't
want to go anywhere. We got all that, Plus we'll
preview of the games coming up here in the afternoon
and the big battle between the Bills and the Ravens.

Speaker 1 (02:00:36):
Keep it here.

Speaker 2 (02:00:37):
Much more coming up. This is End Zone Radio, all right,
once again for our from our Fox Sports Radio Studios
show sponsored by Draftkanings. Stay tuned because you're gonna hear
more about DraftKings and all a hass offer throughout the show, DraftKings,
The Crown is yours, all right? Three games right now,
going down to the wire. We have a replay going

(02:00:57):
on right now in this Falcons Tampa game. The Falcons
Michael Pennix on third and goal threw the ball to
Drake London in the end zone. The ruling was Is
that the ball hit the ground as he went down
with a catch. There are reviewing the play. If it's
ruled incomplete, then we will have a fourth and goal again.
Buccaneers leading this game seventeen to thirteen, two and a

(02:01:20):
half minutes to go.

Speaker 1 (02:01:21):
There.

Speaker 2 (02:01:22):
Meanwhile, the Jets and the Steelers. Jets lead at thirty
two to thirty one. The Steelers have a third and
eleven right now, we got a minute twelve to go. Obviously,
the Steelers trying to get the ball into field goal
position where they could eventually win this game and then
in the game between. This game is now a final.

(02:01:44):
The Bengals have held on to beat the Browns by
a score of seventeen to sixteen. Of disappointing loss for
the Browns, who outplay the Bengals for most of that game.
All right, we now have a fourth down facing the
Steelers a minute eight to go, as they trail right
now by a score. Where is no defense? No interference

(02:02:05):
on that call? Wow?

Speaker 1 (02:02:06):
I like, I like to know do you let them
play that out right there? The receiver turns, he's fighting,
the defenders fighting with two guys are fighting. You got
to keep the flag in the pocket. That's not fair
to call it one way.

Speaker 2 (02:02:16):
All right, so they waved off. We now got the
fourth and goal for the Falcons. They need to score
two and a half minutes to go right now. Again,
the two and a half minutes to go sound like
a half minute to go, all right. Chris Boswell is
going to be coming on to attempt a field goal
right now from fifty six yards for the Steelers. And
the kick is god good, That is good.

Speaker 1 (02:02:38):
He's six yards? That was sixty? Was it sixty? Good?
He's blood?

Speaker 7 (02:02:44):
Way are all the kickers taking steroids?

Speaker 1 (02:02:47):
Right, Chris?

Speaker 2 (02:02:49):
He does kicked a sixty yard field goal to kick.

Speaker 1 (02:02:53):
The Steelers hits the net.

Speaker 2 (02:02:59):
That was good from seventies It hits the net. Is
half play up the uprights through sixties, So buzzle blast
field goal giving the Steelers at thirty four to thirty
two lead. All right. We'll get back to that game
in a moment, but we've got this fourth and goal
right now for the Falcons again. Buccaneers leads seventeen to
thirteen Falcons with the ball fourth and goal at the

(02:03:21):
Tampa Bay four yard line. Wow, sixty yard field goal,
all right, so minute three to go left, in that game.
So the Jets again, plenty of time. Again it's a
couple of a couple of big plays and get a position.
So we do we get a pass interference call in
this game against No.

Speaker 1 (02:03:40):
They waved it off. They wanted to flag. They wave
it off.

Speaker 2 (02:03:42):
His fourth and goal, fourth and goal at the yard,
all right, So this is still two and a half
minutes to go in this game.

Speaker 1 (02:03:49):
You gotta find Drake London. That's the only guy, either
him or pitch. You can't throw this ball to nobody else.

Speaker 2 (02:03:54):
Pumps, He's gonna run front and get in.

Speaker 1 (02:03:57):
Did he get in the exactly down?

Speaker 4 (02:04:02):
Was he in?

Speaker 2 (02:04:03):
They have not signal touchdown. The Falcons are celebrating like
it's a touchdown. They're calling it a touchdown. This play
is going to be reviewed. So Michael Pennick scrambling, he
reaches across. Let's watch the replay right now, Let's watch
where the knee is. No, and he's not down. Pennick
hits the goal live. That is a touchdown. That is

(02:04:24):
a touchdown. The Falcons are going to go for the
extra point. Obviously, here was the ball in his hand
before he broke the plane, though it looked like he
was getting a little loose.

Speaker 1 (02:04:32):
No, I don't know. Yeah, well if it doesn't matter
because Pitts catches it, so then but you can't fumble
it forward for it to be recovered, right So there
there's a question there. His knee is up there. There's
a touchdown right there, that is that's a touchdown. All right, guys.

Speaker 2 (02:04:48):
We got the Jets right now scrambling. They have no
they have one time out left thirty seven seconds to go.
Fields trying to make the play to get them in
the field goal position, throws the ball down and is
incomplete of the stops with thirty seconds to go in
the fourth quarter, third and three for the Jets right
now trailing after that sixty yard bombed unbelievable field goal

(02:05:09):
by Boswell giving the Steelers the thirty four to thirty
two lead. All right, it is definitely a touchdown for
the Falcons. Incredible play by Michael Pennix Junior to extend
himself and barely get the ball across the line. So
right now, huge extra point is good and the Falcons
have a twenty to seventeen lead. Again, plenty of time

(02:05:31):
for Baker Mayfield two seventeen to go, in the fourth quarter.
Atlanta leads that game twenty seventeen. All right, here we
go third and three for the Jets right now, and
fields is blasted. That's going to be an incomplete pass.
So fourth and three right now, you just got to
get the first down, right, You just got to get
the first twenty five seconds left. If I still run

(02:05:52):
some plays, yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:05:52):
And if I could really about this play called great
defensive coordinator coordinating play by the Steelers to bring pressure,
don't let him sit back there and let you know,
man coverage and guys run away so he can then
just take off and run. But if you're the Jets,
you got to know that's possibly coming, especially when they
show seven men in the box, you have to be
able to give them a play to check out of
to get the ball out quicker, Like, look what look

(02:06:14):
right now, there's seven guys up on the line of scrimmage.
Right now they're bringing they're walking everybody up and not
giving him a chance.

Speaker 2 (02:06:20):
Well, you need to get rid of this bash. You
got to get the first down here and draw back.

Speaker 1 (02:06:24):
And that's what they want right there, and they got it.
Oh blasted and by who Look look what it was
Jayalen Ramsey who was in the middle of all that
stuff before the half and breaks up the ball and
Garrett is slow getting off the ground.

Speaker 2 (02:06:39):
He got blasted after a quick catch. And this game
is over. Heelers are gonna win.

Speaker 1 (02:06:45):
Why did Justin Field stow that ball and instead of
just running?

Speaker 3 (02:06:47):
I'm with you.

Speaker 1 (02:06:48):
Yeah, there's the first down right there by the way.

Speaker 2 (02:06:52):
They still had a timeout remaining, yep, So he could
have stopped the clock. I mean, you don't want to
use the time out there, but you could have used
the time out.

Speaker 1 (02:06:59):
And and here it wasn't has the hold on today.
I don't care who you get hit by. Look it's
in his hands right here. You see the hit coming
bro hold on to the football.

Speaker 2 (02:07:06):
But that is just a See we always complain about
bad tackling. That's a perfect tackle. His head is right
toward the ball, yep, you know, in the arms. And
so the Steelers are going to hang on and win
this game. What a game this was Steelers thirty four,
Jets thirty two. Just a quick look at the numbers
in this game. Aaron Rodgers twenty two, thirty two hundred

(02:07:29):
and forty four yards, four touchdowns, no picks justin Field
sixteen to two, two hundred and eighteen yards, a touchdown,
no picks, and he scored two touchdowns on the ground.
Great football game. It is now a final. Steelers beat
the Jets thirty four to thirty two. All right, we're
now keeping an eye on this game between the Buccaneers
and the Falcons, as Baker Mayfield has now gotten the

(02:07:50):
ball near midfield again. At the very least, we are
now at the two minute warning. Two minute warning. Just
update you on some of the games that are already
the books today. Finals scores. I'll save this one quick
for you. Colt's thirty three Dolphins.

Speaker 1 (02:08:05):
Eighty an say, you'll have to say it quick. You
could say how you said it.

Speaker 2 (02:08:08):
Rus Well, I can tell you there's Dan Jones for
two hundred and seventy two yards and a score in
that one. Cardinals beat the Saints today twenty to thirteen.
So the Saints well on their waiter their own seventeen record. Yes,
Pete Carroll is one to zero as a coach. How
about this? Ashton genty had thirty eight yards rushing, but

(02:08:29):
Gino Smith threw for three hundred and sixty two yards.
Raiders beat the Patriots twenty thirteen. Of course, that Bengals
Browns game. What a heartbreak for the Browns today. They
dominated throughout, but the Bengals came out on top seventeen
to sixteen. Also the game that will Never end, which
is the Jaguars Panthers. They are nine minutes to go

(02:08:49):
in the third quarter. This game had an extended weather delay.
Jaguars leading the Panthers by a score of twenty to three.
And the Commander's Giants game has been a sleepy two
minutes to go there. Giants have got nothing done today,
uh and the Commanders easing in. They have a twenty
one to six league.

Speaker 1 (02:09:08):
There are two franchises that find ways lately to just
lose games, the New York Jets in the Cleveland Browns.
Both typically outplayed both of their opponents today. But football
is not about out playing your opponent. You gotta finish
plays and finish games. And bo you mentioned right there,
why does not justin fields run right? Because it's wide open.

(02:09:30):
As a first down, you gotta time out or get
the first slide, get everybody up to the line, sport
another five or six, spike the ball, save the time house.

Speaker 7 (02:09:39):
But That's been the thing with Justin Fields. I think
his whole career is that he's always good enough to
get you there, but he's never gonna finish the job right.

Speaker 1 (02:09:44):
And that's what it and that's what it feels like.
And I'm like I said, I'm a guy that's on
his side. I tend him. But that play right there, dog,
you gotta Gary Wilson hold on to the.

Speaker 7 (02:09:54):
Gary Wilson needs to catch that. But also, you're Justin Fields.
You're a supreme athlete. You can pick up the first
down and live.

Speaker 2 (02:10:00):
He felt panics, and that felt like he lost his vision.
He didn't see there was daylight in front of him.
He just thought he needed to get the ball over
the line instead of trusting his own legs to get
him all the way.

Speaker 1 (02:10:11):
Forward, which he could have easily had.

Speaker 2 (02:10:13):
By the way, two games that are just underway right
now forty nine Ers and Seahawks, but more impressively here
Titans on the road against the Broncos. Cam Ward has
completed a twenty nine yard pass and a seventeen yard pass,
and the Titans on their opening drive have a first
down in the red zone down to the Denver nineteen

(02:10:33):
yard line. So cam Ward, I love this early on.
You have nothing to lose, your big dog on the
road against the Broncos. Give the kid a chance to
get some rhythm, throw the football and he's two for
three for forty six yards on this opening drive.

Speaker 1 (02:10:47):
Big difference between, like you said, nothing to lose, Tennessee
Titans are the Miami Dolphins with everything to lose and
you go on to row both teams on the road today, right, okay,
and both under dogs that the Dolphins weren't favorite to
win the culture favor so when the game today, but
letting one guy go loose and playing just loose and
then the other guy playing a little tight having three
turnover throwing two interceptions.

Speaker 2 (02:11:07):
All right, So now we got Tampa with the ball
trailing the Falcons twenty to seventeen. We're inside the two
minute mark right now. Little sideline pass got absolutely nothing
except for using up clock. The Buccaneers have one time
out remaining and Baker Mayfield avoiding the sack incomplete pass.
So they're facing a third and nine situation minu and

(02:11:32):
a half to go here. They are not in field
goal range even by Boswell standards. They're not in field
goal range that field goal they're gonna was that officially
sixty yards? Is that what they measured it at?

Speaker 1 (02:11:44):
What was? It seems like nothing nowadays though, honestly sixty
yard field goals. I'm with bo, Like, what's in the water,
what's in the juice?

Speaker 3 (02:11:52):
Like?

Speaker 1 (02:11:52):
What chip are they putting in the foot of these kickers?
This stuff is starting to happen. This one in preseason
kick a seventy yard with.

Speaker 7 (02:11:59):
Seven campbody, Yes, I guess the Buzzwell kick is listed
a sixty yards.

Speaker 2 (02:12:04):
It is sixty yards and this thing was halfway up
the uprights when he kicked it through. I mean, this
was an absolute.

Speaker 7 (02:12:10):
Bomb in MetLife, no less, right right.

Speaker 2 (02:12:13):
Right, Wait a second there, then Tampa Bay just got
a first down. Looks like Tampa Bay gets the first down.
They have the one time out remaining one twenty. The
clock is running right now. They are at the forty
yard line. Still, that's a fifty seven yard field goal attempt.
At this point, they're down by three twenty seventeen. Mayfield

(02:12:33):
getting his troops going and trying again. He's gonna throw
the ball away to stop the clock, all right, So
we have a second and ten right now for the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers, trailing the Falcons twenty to seventeen, one
minute four seconds remain. There's actually a flag on that play.
You know, he was out of the pocket so he

(02:12:53):
can throw it away. Were they gonna call grounding either?

Speaker 1 (02:12:56):
That are the gonna call either that are gonna call
rough in the passer As an NFL, you can't do this.
Ball is away. I know you go to reach for him,
but when he falls down, his body holds onto his
legs at the last. This is a huge that's not
intentional grounding. He's almost at the sideline, so he's outside
of the pip and there's a person exactly exactly because
it's today's.

Speaker 2 (02:13:18):
Ticky tacky, didn't hit him in the helmet anything it is.

Speaker 1 (02:13:22):
It is ticky tacky, but it's still rule, and these
players have to understand. You got to get out of
your feelings and you got to get out of your No.
I'm right, I'm with you. Tear penalty for that, okay,
but then don't fall down the guy's body and grab
his fi grab don't listen. This is not listen. Come on,
this is this isn't brain surgery. You know the rule,

(02:13:43):
you know what they with the possibility of the flag
being thrown out. Why would you do that with one
oh four at home in a division game to open
the season. Now they can do it.

Speaker 2 (02:13:54):
Now they have some house money to play with right
now because they're definitely in field goal range. Down the
twenty five yard line, Mayfield going for a win.

Speaker 1 (02:14:02):
Touchdap box Ibuka, the second of the day.

Speaker 2 (02:14:06):
The rookie touchdown Buccaneers Bacon. They take the lead. So
the rookie in his first NFL game is second touchdown reception.
They haven't done a lot through the air today, but
they did on that play, and so now Tampa takes
the twenty three to twenty lead, pennying a huge extra

(02:14:27):
point coming up right on the dime. Perfect pass, too easy,
too easy.

Speaker 1 (02:14:33):
You know why, Steve, because it was a perfect route.
It was a perfect pass because the route was perfect.
They showed us again that outstep that makes that corner turn.
His hits just that milli second allows him to step
back across his face and you're taught to the safety.

Speaker 7 (02:14:48):
He missed it.

Speaker 2 (02:14:49):
He missed the extra point off the up right. So
it's twenty three to twenty Tampa Bay. The Falcons still
alive fifty nine seconds to go.

Speaker 1 (02:14:59):
Oh well, now they only need a field go to
time before they would have needed a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (02:15:03):
All right, hold on, just keep it right here. This
is end Zone Radio. Twenty five yard line, empty backfield.
Baker Mayfield takes a belt high snat looks, looks those
of all toward the end zone of your receive. That's
a hot ball touchdown, Tampa Bay Houp Knaka up booka well,
the defender all over him.

Speaker 1 (02:15:21):
He makes the driver of the en zone. The Bucks
take the lead.

Speaker 2 (02:15:24):
That's ninety eight Rock Buccaneers Radio Network. Buccaneers lead twenty
three to twenty after the missed extra point. But the
Falcons right now are in a position to at the
very least attempt a very makeable field goal to try
to tie this game and send it into overtime once again.
End Zone Radio on the Fox Sports Radio studios. All right,

(02:15:47):
before we get to yet another inside here from the
great VJ. Husky, It's got some place for you throughout
the day. Let's keep it right here on this game.

Speaker 1 (02:15:55):
VJ.

Speaker 2 (02:15:56):
All right, So it's a first down for the Falcons.
They are at the thirty twenty six yard line of
Tampa so they're definitely in field goal range, no question.
They don't have any timeouts, so you gotta be careful here.
He can't have a ball and play. They're gonna go
deep and it's incomplete good defensive play right there. All right,
So eleven seconds left? Second and to how many games?

(02:16:17):
How many more plays are you gonna run?

Speaker 3 (02:16:19):
Here?

Speaker 2 (02:16:19):
Are you gonna play with dynamite when you have obviously
a very makeable game tying field goal? I mean, I
get to have you got a couple of plays here,
maybe one more, but boy, you gotta be careful.

Speaker 1 (02:16:29):
Listen, Winfield Junior breaks this ball up right here, right
if he just makes happen to think about if he
just makes the tackle though that's in bounds, that clock
is still running. They got to rush up there. They
got a spike with just eleven that might have been
the game. You can't do that now seconds. I would
never do it. Eleven seconds. You got Joe, you can
take yeah, But he also hit one off the upright,

(02:16:51):
that one in earlier too. Maybe that's in a.

Speaker 2 (02:16:53):
Coaching it's a shot to the end zone. And where's
the no, No, there was a handally. I think somewhere
there was something stopped right there?

Speaker 1 (02:17:03):
The player stopped, all right? Yeah, the rest let that go. No,
no call if he got tangled up. I'm not big
on passive affairs. Call Steve Layton games. Okay, that's not
passive affairs. Man Like, if you can't fight through that
as a pro receiver, then you can't play receiver in
the NFL.

Speaker 2 (02:17:18):
Well, the idea is you're not supposed to have hit
a receiver more than five yards down the field. Isn't
that an NFL rule?

Speaker 4 (02:17:23):
Hit him?

Speaker 1 (02:17:24):
Yeah, but touch him? Goodness, Grace can't touch it. Well,
he ran into him, know where.

Speaker 2 (02:17:29):
You're granted his arm? All right, we're gonna get a
game tying field goal attempt?

Speaker 1 (02:17:34):
Right now? What's the distance?

Speaker 2 (02:17:36):
All right?

Speaker 1 (02:17:36):
Cool?

Speaker 3 (02:17:36):
Right?

Speaker 2 (02:17:37):
Right here he goes.

Speaker 1 (02:17:38):
I want to call something weird. Forty four yards?

Speaker 3 (02:17:41):
All right?

Speaker 1 (02:17:41):
Does he hit it?

Speaker 2 (02:17:42):
It's wrong way, it's forty four yards. We just saw
Boss will splashing from.

Speaker 1 (02:17:46):
Sixty look, and he just tried one with the time
out being called and missed it. So I'm gonna say,
I think I think that might have shook him up
right here. He might.

Speaker 4 (02:17:53):
He might.

Speaker 2 (02:17:54):
They did the freeze right there, so he got a
free attempt. And let's watch and he absolutely jerked. Oh
that was the miss field goal earlier extra point up
right now, it's the miss extra point. Oh, that was
the miss extra point. So we got six seconds ago.
Right now, it's going to be a forty four yard
field goal attempt. What do you say, guys, is he

(02:18:15):
going to make this field goal? Anybody saying that he misses.

Speaker 7 (02:18:20):
He missed the freeze, I'm going to say he makes
this one.

Speaker 1 (02:18:23):
He's gonna make he missed the freeze. I'm gonna say
that that that choked him up. He's gonna miss this one.

Speaker 2 (02:18:29):
This is the Falcons we are talking about. I'm going
with a miss. Wow, so a lot of misses.

Speaker 6 (02:18:34):
He's gonna make it.

Speaker 1 (02:18:35):
Look at his face, I never make it.

Speaker 6 (02:18:41):
For my fantasy.

Speaker 2 (02:18:43):
Okay, now we got the smoking is up and the
kick is.

Speaker 6 (02:18:50):
Gag.

Speaker 1 (02:18:53):
In fact, it was so.

Speaker 2 (02:18:54):
Bad that was worse the other one.

Speaker 6 (02:18:58):
Shoke job.

Speaker 2 (02:19:00):
I mean that push was like fifteen yards twelfth round
Chris wow.

Speaker 1 (02:19:06):
I mean this was not even closed.

Speaker 2 (02:19:09):
This was a shank right off of the kiss. That
angle doesn't even show how.

Speaker 1 (02:19:17):
Bad that was.

Speaker 6 (02:19:17):
I say that didn't even look that bad.

Speaker 1 (02:19:20):
From that angle.

Speaker 2 (02:19:21):
That was a shank, I mean complete shank off his
foot from forty four yards out. So the Tampa Bay
Buccaneers will emerge with the victory twenty three to twenty
over the Atlanta Falcons. So big win on the road
for Tampa and gives them the heads up obviously. In
the NFC South, Wow, Just for the record, the game

(02:19:45):
between the Jaguars and the Panthers is almost to the
end of the third quarter. Guys, almost to the end
of the third quarter, Panthers trailing the Jags by a
score of twenty to three. We had a long weather
delay in this one.

Speaker 1 (02:19:59):
But all right.

Speaker 2 (02:20:00):
A couple other updates right now the Titans and Broncos.
They are tied at three, and still no score between
the forty nine Ers and the Seahawks, although the forty
nine Ers now have a third and goal at Seattle's
five yard line. What's your gut feeling on brock Party
this year?

Speaker 7 (02:20:16):
I have a feeling he's about to throw a touchdown
to George Kittle.

Speaker 2 (02:20:19):
Is that what you do? And you're right, but I
mean this season, I mean, we both agree that a
key for this team obviously is to have a healthy
Christian McCaffrey changes the whole dynamic of that forty nine
ers offense. By the way, in this game, four carries
six yards for McCaffrey.

Speaker 1 (02:20:36):
If you think about the much these evening and afternoon
games right now, these are huge storylines Texas and Rams, Right,
what is CJ. Straw going to look like after what?
I don't know if it was a full sophomore slump.
It wasn't the extension. They did it to the final eighth, right,
but it wasn't the inscension that people were predicting. Like
people were predicted for bothing it, like if the differcults
ten and seven this year, goys, that's what they were

(02:20:58):
last year. So that's not a leak. Just like with
the Texas they back to back years of ten and seven.
It's not elite guys, but it's not the slump. People
are makative. What's up?

Speaker 2 (02:21:07):
Forty nine ers just officially here?

Speaker 1 (02:21:09):
Okay with that extra point?

Speaker 2 (02:21:10):
So brock Party, I mean he gets the big contract.
It's an amazing story. By the way, on that drive,
SE's six to seven sixty six yards in the score.

Speaker 1 (02:21:19):
Listen, what brock Party does in September, October, and November
doesn't matter what brock Purty does. In December and January
is where we're going to finally realize whether we overjudged
him or he is that guy. If he looked good
in September October, that's fine, but that doesn't mean you're
gonna look good in December and January, and that's where
we really start to judge quarterbacks. Christian McCaffrey is the

(02:21:40):
lynchmen here. But I do love the Robinson running back
trade from Washington. I think that gives them a young
set of legs, a big bell cow guy that's got
some speed, breakaway power, and power to run through guys
and run over guys, which I think Shanahan wants to do.
They all come from that physical running game from you
know McVeigh and all the umbrella of those coaches. They
all love to run the football.

Speaker 2 (02:22:00):
All right, before we get Timonci, do you have something
for us right now?

Speaker 1 (02:22:02):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (02:22:03):
I do in a some place throughout the day today.

Speaker 1 (02:22:05):
Hey listen, man, I got some things. First of all,
I gotta to say my loss is also too. My
three underdogs all lost, Browns, Dolphins, and the Jets. I
lost all those underdogs, but casht in on those bucks
Man took the under in the forty seven and a half,
so I was saved there by no overtime too, man,
But also too, I like the Ravens to win that
game that's later tonight. Spread's only a one and a half,

(02:22:26):
but I think the Ravens go on the road take
the under on the fifty and a half. I think
both these defenses will play well tonight. I like twenty
one one seventeen in that late game tonight on Sunday
Night Football. Give me the Ravens to cover that one
and get that done.

Speaker 2 (02:22:41):
All right? DraftKings Sportsbook and Officials Sports Betty partner of
the NFL. Now let's find out what is trending. So, manci,
how is your fantasy team?

Speaker 6 (02:22:52):
You know what, Steve, I'm not sure.

Speaker 8 (02:22:54):
The problem is when you do too many, you lose track.

Speaker 6 (02:22:57):
I know that you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 8 (02:22:59):
But I did have Baker may Field in a league,
so there we go. I also had Joe Burrow in
a different one. That one did not go well, So
we'll see at the end of the day. But up
in the day, did you do this year?

Speaker 6 (02:23:10):
I'm one five.

Speaker 1 (02:23:11):
I'm very proud of it. Never again, that's what I'm
talking about. Remember the year I did what I did.

Speaker 6 (02:23:19):
Four when you did twenty seven? Oh yeah, that was ridiculous.
So you're crazy. Has anyone told you that you are psychotic?

Speaker 1 (02:23:26):
Yes?

Speaker 6 (02:23:27):
Okay, perfect, as long as.

Speaker 1 (02:23:28):
You're aware, long as you own it, As long as
I own.

Speaker 6 (02:23:31):
It, I'd have five never doing it again. No, it's
too much, it's too much. I'm stressed. I'm stressed. I'm annoyed.
I have players that I have that I'm playing against.
I can't. It's too much. It's too much.

Speaker 8 (02:23:41):
It was last year too much, and it's still too
much this year. So let's let's check in on the
scores here. As a bo guest or predicted Brock Party
not really connecting with George Kittle on touchdown pass, the
forty nine ers on the scoreboard first against the Seahawks
and Seattle at seven zero late in the first quarter.

Speaker 6 (02:23:57):
Titans and Broncos.

Speaker 8 (02:23:58):
Tied at three apiece halfway through the first quarter, and
the start of the fourth between the Panthers and the Jaguars,
with the Jaguars up twenty to three, but scoreless for
it by both teams in the second half so far.
Travis Aten, though for the Jags. He's got eight carries
for one hundred and two yards. What a slate of
a morning games. The Colts crushed the Dolphins thirty three

(02:24:19):
to eight. Colts win in a Week one for the
first time since twenty thirteen.

Speaker 6 (02:24:23):
Daniel Jones twenty two of.

Speaker 8 (02:24:25):
Twenty nine two hundred and seventy two yards, one touchdown,
two rushing touchdowns. Jonathan Taylor eighteen carries for seventy one yards.
The Bengals survived seventeen to sixteen against the Browns. Joe
Burrow fourteen to twenty three, one hundred and thirteen yards
on one touchdown. Jamar Chase two catches sixteen yards out.

Speaker 6 (02:24:42):
For whoever has that gott Yes. Steelers also held on
thirty forty to thirty.

Speaker 8 (02:24:46):
Two against the Jets. The total the total yards for
New York. For New York sorry for New York, three
hundred and ninety four yards total yards, Pittsburgh two hundred
and seventy one total yards, but both quarterbacks delivered Aaron
Rodgers twenty two thirty two hundred and forty four.

Speaker 6 (02:25:01):
Yards, four touchdowns.

Speaker 8 (02:25:03):
Dk Metcalf four catches for eighty three yards justin fields
was sixteen of twenty two two hundred and eighteen yards,
a touchdown, and two rushing touchdowns. He also had twelve
carries forty eight yards. The Buccaneers also survived twenty three
to twenty against the Falcons. You guys were just talking
about it. Atlanta had a chance to tie the game,
missed a game time field goal. There Baker Mayfield seventeen
of thirty two one hundred and sixty seven yards and

(02:25:24):
two touchdowns. Two of them went to the rookie a
Mecca Abuka, so two of them to him in the
game as well, Commanders outscore the Giants twenty one to
six in that one.

Speaker 6 (02:25:35):
Russell Wilson I forgot he existed. Did you guys know
he was playing?

Speaker 4 (02:25:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (02:25:40):
Really we knew, But like Carew who chaired that, Russell
Wilson played quarterbacks.

Speaker 8 (02:25:47):
Seventeen of thirty seven one hundred and sixty eight yards.

Speaker 6 (02:25:50):
That was it. Cardinals top the Saints twenty to thirteen.

Speaker 8 (02:25:53):
Kyler Murray twenty one of twenty nine one hundred and
sixty sixty three yards and two touchdowns, and the Raiders
defeated the Patriots twenty thirteen. Gino Smith was Gino Smith
twenty four to thirty four, three hundred and sixty two yards,
one touchdown, one interception. Ashton gent nineteen carries thirty eight
yards and a touchdown. A little baseball scores to see
what's going on around this part of the world.

Speaker 6 (02:26:15):
The Rangers are on top of the Astros four to two.

Speaker 8 (02:26:17):
Bottom of the seventh inning, Padres over the Rockies right
now six to one. After four innings, Mariners crushed the
Braves eighteen to two.

Speaker 6 (02:26:23):
Cal Rawley with this fifty third home run of the season.
Dodgers snapped their losing streak.

Speaker 8 (02:26:28):
They beat the Orioles five to two sho Heo Tawny
two homers in the win, Yankees edge the Blue Jays
four to three, and the Reds beat the Mets three
to two. At the US Open Men's final, Janick Sinner
and Carlos Alcarez split their first two sets, but alcraz
in this third set is up five games to zero.

Speaker 6 (02:26:44):
Back to you guys, all.

Speaker 2 (02:26:46):
Right, mons, great job as always today, will to day
to day, seventeen more weeks, I know it. Just let's
say we had the playoffs on top of all that.
End zone radio. That's what we are, Fox four. It's

Post it right after we get off the air. All right,
so once again, the game's going on right now, the
Jags Panthers game will and at some point Jack's still
leading that one twenty to three. But you know, right now, VJ,

(02:27:31):
we look at what's happening around the National Football League.
It's week one. There are big surprises before we start
talking about some of the games later on. Obviously the
huge matchup tonight between the Ravens and the Bills. So
far today, what has been the biggest surprise.

Speaker 1 (02:27:45):
For you The Jets. The way did Jets play today
was a big surprise for me. To be able to
hang in there and get the dub to their own
fault to the kick returner. Got to hold onto the football,
don't hold it like a loaf for bread. When you
got guys coming down. Veterans like the Steelers have swipe
in ripping at it and giving the ball right to
Anne Rodgers again. But the way the Jets did put
up thirty plus points today, I did not see that

(02:28:07):
coming too. And also another big surprise my Dolphins. How
bad they played and how bad to would played today
was a big surprise to me. I know there's a
lot of people that don't believe in too it don't
think he can stay healthy. But I don't think anybody
thought he'd come out and play that bad today. That
was a big shock this week one. They got some
things they got to answer. Of course the offensive line there.
But if I wanted to put it on a happy
spind for a team that won today, Baker Mayfield staying

(02:28:30):
in that thing on the road Division game early in
the year. It's a tough Raheem Morris defense in the
Atlanta Falcons. They got a good young defense there. But
to lead his team down the field like that to
take the lead was another good, pleasant surprise to see today. Man,
a lot of stuff around the NFL these early games.
I thought some of this stuff went like we you know,
wanted to go. I could throw Burrow out there, too,

(02:28:52):
but I thought we knew that Cleveland's defense right, we
said it for two weeks.

Speaker 2 (02:28:55):
Remember he had a slow start last year. I mean,
here's the thing. You go week to week, and this
is this is why I'm not a personal gambler. I'm
intrigued by it because I mean when I when I,
when I when I, when I'm watching these odds, you're
they're so close. I mean, these guys know their business. Uh,
and that's why they're making a business. But it's week

(02:29:19):
to week like literally, you'll you'll be sitting there like
the Colts, Like you're sort of trying to figure.

Speaker 1 (02:29:24):
Out the Colts, like are they that good or was
it just.

Speaker 2 (02:29:27):
A complete dismantling of the Dolphins self induced? Like they
were just they basically handed to the Colts. So now
you're gonna overplay Daniel Jones. Uh what are you gonna
do there? And then you'll see what week to week.
One team will be that bad one week and all
of a sudden are a juggernaut the next week. There
is no rhyme reason week to week with the National

(02:29:51):
Football League. All right, let's talk a little bit about
the game coming up later on tonight. We got the
Ravens and we got the Bills. I mean this is
as good as it gets in terms of any kind
of matchup because there's so much at stake for both
of these teams. I mean, you have two quarterbacks, elite quarterbacks,
both have been League MVPs, both have you know, put
together already Hall of Fame caliber resumes, and what's missing

(02:30:14):
on both their resumes is even a trip right to
the Super Bowl trying to get through that Chiefs wall.
The Chiefs look vulnerable in their opening game loss to
the Chargers, so it seems like the opportunity is going
to be there for one of these two teams to
break through and finally get into a Super Bowl. So
what do we read into Week one? I mean, is

(02:30:35):
this a statement game in some respects?

Speaker 1 (02:30:39):
Or is it?

Speaker 3 (02:30:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:30:40):
I mean every game has a level of importance. A
game here, game there can make a world of difference.
But in terms of being some sort of a statement game,
is Week one too early to say that in a
matchup between the Bills and the Ravens.

Speaker 1 (02:30:53):
It's too early to say before the game kicks off.
But once this game gets going, and I think we're
going to see a lot of energy and a lot
of physical play out of both of these teams. I
think this is gonna be a hard hitting game. I
can see some guys getting each other faces. They remember
they have playoff history. Okay, these two teams have playoff history.
That's why the NFL schedules them the first Saturday night
game because you want to get two marquee quarterbacks, marquee teams.

(02:31:17):
That and you have what two of the last three
MVP winners, These guys have three of the last four
that have been handed out or between these two quarterbacks.
And it will mean a lot if we get to
January and these teams have to play each other in
the playoffs. What's everybody going? Well, they remember Week one?
They whatever happened in Week one, we're gonna talk about

(02:31:38):
in week nineteen and week twenty. Because it's not gonna
be a wildcard game. This will probably be a divisional
RNAFC championship game. I don't think it'll be a wildcard game.
So there's a lot on the line. Because in the NFL,
you mentioned it at the top of the show, you
blink and it's gone, yeah every week. That's why you
only have to play one time a week. Guys, this
isn't the MLB Hockey or the NBA, you get one

(02:31:59):
shot of week. It's the hardest thing to do with
all the sports tve in my opinion, is to win
a football game because it's so much preparation that goes
into these days. For just three hours on a Sunday
or Monday night to get a dub, it means everything.

Speaker 2 (02:32:15):
Well, to tell you about this, they always have the
ticket prices right now, tickets as low as two hundred
and forty two dollars for this game.

Speaker 1 (02:32:22):
That's the low. That's the low. Loan two and forty
two dollars. I'll be at home.

Speaker 2 (02:32:27):
Yeah, they're going to be packing them in Buffalo, all right.
The Packers with the early seven to nothing lead against
the Lions, and so again one of our plays today
with the perfect picks is going to be sacked. And
now the Lions, after the opening drive by the Packers,
Jordan Love six of eight sixty five yards throws the

(02:32:48):
touchdown pass to Tucker Craft. So early on he throwing
the ball effectively. Now we're going to see what we
got from the Detroit Lions. And again I've said this
about the Lions. They have a player, Jamir Gibbs. By
the way, first carry only one yard, but he is
one guy that literally I look up every time this
guy gets his ball. He is an absolute potential game

(02:33:09):
breaker every time he touches the ball. So they're gonna
be interesting to see from the Lions. After the phenomenal
year they had a year ago fifteen win season and
it went all for not after getting blown up at
home by the cam Anders.

Speaker 1 (02:33:22):
I want to say this about Jamia Gibbs, just really fast.
I'm with you as far as his excitement, I missed
on my first TD that went to somebody else on
my plus six hundred on Jamia Gibbs felt thanks a lot, Jami.
I appreciate that. Anyway. The only thing I worry about
Jamia Gibbs is this, and this is this is as
true and try through the NFL at a history of
the game. Once coordinators get enough tape on you and

(02:33:44):
you are now the guy. It was easy to come
in and spell Montgomery and spell some other players and
hit guys. We've seen it with's Tony Pollard, We've seen
it with Darren Sproles. But when you gotta go be
the number one are, the focal point is more on you.
There's more plays for you. People are gonna wanna hit
you harder, want to wrap you uppard. As we're seeing

(02:34:05):
right here in the game, two straight times the ball
gets in his hands and the Packers are making sure
that they're wrapping this guy up and laying some plastic
to him. That's the only thing I concerned about him
is can he evolve from that of guys knowing who
you are, knowing what you can do from the tape
that defensive coordinators can apply against you.

Speaker 2 (02:34:23):
Now, by the way, uh, it's early in the game,
first series for the Lions. Three and out and even
though Michael Parsons didn't get a sack on that, he
put pressure on Jared GoF who had to get better
of the ball. So seven nothing Packers, three and out
for the Lions. Packers are gonna get the ball back,
all right. We're gonna put a rap on our show.

(02:34:43):
Get you ready for more coming up on a first
busy Sunday around the NFL. This is ed Zoe Radio.

Speaker 1 (02:34:50):
WOS Phil goldtep will be for forty four yards barside hands.
He has a right footed ticker.

Speaker 2 (02:34:56):
The holder Bradley pinion. The snap a good one. The
spot is down the Kicker's air and it is old.
My goodness, good, oh god, he missed it. Why to
the right now, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will prevail at Atlanta.
Remember two seconds remain, that's ninety eight Rock Buccaneers Radio network.
They survive and the Buccaneers beat the Falcons by a

(02:35:17):
score of twenty three to twenty. Once again, end Zone Radio.
Here in the Fox Sports Radio studios. And this show
is sponsor by DraftKings. Stay tuned because you can hear
more about DraftKings and all it has to offer throughout
the show today. All day DraftKings. The crown is yours.
I want to thank our crew today. By the way,
of course, Monsey just absolutely brilliant giving us all the

(02:35:38):
updates while keeping track of her five fantasy football leagues.
Absolutely crazy. Chris on the man on the board providing
the perfect picks, saw the analysis as well. Anxious right
now about his Detroit Lions. I say his the team
he covers the Detroit Lions. Sorry, you're the The body
of Chris is here, but the mind sole is roaming

(02:36:00):
the astral plane right now screaming a little bit. Of course,
our brilliant producer Bow who does it all his Eagles.
I never really got a chance to ask you bow
about your impression of the eagles narrow victory against the
Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 7 (02:36:16):
Very poor ten win team at best. I think, really
that's what they're burning for the Well, Steve, you might
be an upgrade at defensive back for the Philadelphia this year.
And they very clearly knew that they needed a pass
rusher because they tried to get Michael Parsons and couldn't.

Speaker 2 (02:36:30):
So well, I don't think the Cowboys were in a train.

Speaker 1 (02:36:33):
No, that's.

Speaker 2 (02:36:37):
When I saw that reporting like, yo, well the Eagles
made a play like okay, Jerry Jones is crazy.

Speaker 1 (02:36:42):
He ain't that clear.

Speaker 2 (02:36:43):
I know they just needed to wait a couple of
mons of those two because like I'm pretty sure it
then came out today where it's like, oh, well, the
Bengals were around maybe getting Trey Hendrickson over to Dallas
right like it was just or that's the Packers. I
think No, it was Tree Hendrickson to the Packers like
either way, but.

Speaker 1 (02:37:00):
On the on the Michael and Eagles thinking both think
about he's Michael Parsons. I guarantee you there were ten
to twelve teams that tried to get them.

Speaker 7 (02:37:06):
Oh yeah, for sure. It's just pointless to put that
in your hate.

Speaker 1 (02:37:11):
I hate that. After that, I had to the fact
I though that I hear ten and seven from you
because I think this is a fourteen and three thirteen.
They're they're yes, they yes.

Speaker 2 (02:37:22):
The great I mean, he played as well. He lived
up to the hype that.

Speaker 1 (02:37:26):
Without even without even his big receivers do it to
a J. Brown did't have a catch it to like
the third of four. He didn't have four well one
target in that game. What the hell was It's called defense?
That that is no.

Speaker 2 (02:37:36):
AJ Brown ain't happy about that. If he's not going
to get targeted, doll, what you got to get off
a coverage?

Speaker 1 (02:37:41):
That's the thing. You can have an attitude about not
getting the ball, but I haven't think about it.

Speaker 2 (02:37:44):
I don't even see having an attitude.

Speaker 1 (02:37:46):
But not getting if I if I look to you know,
let me ask you a question. You don't think Jalen
Hurts wanted to throw the ball. But if you're covered, Bro,
if you're covered, I can't just throw it. I can't
just throw it. We're not just the first game of
the year. I'm not gonna throw this game.

Speaker 7 (02:38:01):
I know the issue is that Jalen Hurts had literally
all day in the pocket to throw because the Cowboys
don't have a pass rush anymore since they traded Michael
Parsons and yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:38:10):
Aod offensive line.

Speaker 7 (02:38:12):
It's it's it's true, but.

Speaker 2 (02:38:14):
Right two right, And by the way, Saquon Barkley was
ordinary at best in that game. What three and a
half yards of carry?

Speaker 7 (02:38:21):
They're not gonna wow, Although don't forget to that. Last year.
It took about four weeks until the Eagles went into
Sirianni's office and said, hey, just run the ball at Saquon.
So who knows.

Speaker 1 (02:38:30):
Not only that, I think we can give Dallas a
little credit for their defense. Guys. I know Michael's out
the door, but they got some other guys on that
side of the ball that are good NFL players, Like
these guys are gonna make plays.

Speaker 2 (02:38:40):
All right. Early stat for you ten nothing Packers leading
the Lions total yards in this game. Packers one oh four,
Lions one all right. Total yards in this game one
oh four to one. It has been all Packers so far.
Early in that game, forty nine Ers and Seahawks are
tied at seven. Zach sharbernet Hey getting in the end

(02:39:01):
zone for the Seahawks. Let me look at some.

Speaker 1 (02:39:04):
Earlners coach Christian Lions right there.

Speaker 2 (02:39:07):
Sam Donald on that opening drive, good three for three
thirty nine yards. That's gonna be a big question for
the Seahawks this year. Of course, is a Sam Darnald
that we saw last year in Minnesota gonna bear any
resemblance to the guy we see in Seattle this year.
Brock perty off to a hot start as well, eight
of ten seventy one yards and that one. By the way,
the Jaguars Panthers game will end at some point still
five minutes to go in the game that started a well,

(02:39:30):
let's put it this way, it started five hours ago.
And the reason it's still going they had a long
weather delay. Panthers zero offense, twenty three to three, Jaguars
leading that game. Broncos and Titans. Titans are playing really
well right now. Bo Nicks threw a bad pick for
the Broncos. They did get the ball back three to three,
and early on the Texans getting the first score three

(02:39:52):
nothing over the Rams, so.

Speaker 1 (02:39:54):
Really quick tomorrow night, Vikes, Bears. JJ McCarthy has the world.
He's got national TV. If somebody here says he does
the best handoff, so we're gonna see his strongest handoff,
the strongest, my bad, strongest hand.

Speaker 2 (02:40:06):
Here's what I do know. Traditionally, home dogs on Monday
Night Football are not only a great wager, but straight
up they are a sound.

Speaker 1 (02:40:18):
It's a point and a half. It's a point. I
am telling you now.

Speaker 2 (02:40:22):
The Bears are a home dog on Monday Night Football.
We're gonna see Ben Johnson break it out sooner last night,
and the Bears will win that game. Don't go anywhere,
Dan Byer, Kerry Robody. This is end Zone Radio.
