Indiana winning that game. And also to my best bet

Post rain delay really did work there. And you know
what's so interesting my first year playing a college well
it was the first year of the college contest, but

later on. He has a restroom behind me, like way
behind me. He's knocked on the door. He's locked in

the bathroom, banging on the door. I said, just sit
on the bowl until I get the first I swear
to God, just sit on the bolt while I get
the first break. I'll come over there and try to
help you. He can't get out of the bathroom. So
this is out of a literally out of a Fellini movie,
a cartoon character movies. It's unbelievable.

It feels, well, since you're in Scrampia, it feels like
a Michael Scott thing.

To be honest, you know, I think Sam just said.

To me, looks like a Michael Scott thing. To just
be stuck on a toilet while your friend has a

They were on the winning side. They were on Oklahoma
minus the points. I was on Auburn plus six and
a half. The number you got was really important right there, right,
You could have gotten a better number earlier in the week,
so you can't cry in your beer. But when the

other side needs a safety to get home, that's a
fluke win. And that's what I was saying in the
Saturday thread. I'm like, you, guys, enjoy the win. What
a fluky lucky win though, And Jared was like, oh,
I don't think it was that at all. If you
look at this that you look at that stat and
I'm like, bro, dude, what are you talking about right now?

In on top of that, too, the officials came out
like a mediately athlete game, like, yeah, we actually messed
something up and Oklahoma shodn't have scored because procedurally, Oklahoma
tried to sneak a player basically play which is which
is you you You pretend the guy is running off
the field, but then he stops before the sideline, and
the rule is essentially, if they cross over the numbers.

I believe it's crossed over the numbers, they have to
actually go out of balance and come back in. And
they didn't do that, and they score a touchdown on
that play because again, like Auburn's like, well, he's running,
he's off the field. We don't want to worry about him.
And so, uh, I mean there was no there was
a no way, shape or form was that thing where

you were on the right side if you had Auburn,
oh you had you had Oklahoma in that.

Speaker 5 (07:41):
Game, right, yeah, yeah, I know that's it was the
worst timing too. It's fresh off of a ridiculous loss,
you know what I mean, Like, all you have to
do is not get sacked in the end zone, and
we're there, we Auburn covers.

And well also too, like Jackson Arnold just passed the
ball three straight times, Like you have to get rid
of the ball someone. You have to throw the ball
somewhere otherwise you're going to lose what you were going
to lose anyways, but just throw the ball anywhere except nowhere,
which is what it would ended up being nowhere. So
you know, overall, entertaining day of college football, you.

Win a few bucks. You guys went a few bucks.
I actually grind it out a little profit here another
two weeks in a row. You guys held about you guys,

Yeah, a little bit.

some sort of way there. But I was. You know
what I did yesterday? I live wager no Dame score touchdowns.

I think on like seven straight drives went they went
five and one. They just kept Purdue. They just kept scoring.
I don't know, I just kept doing it. So I
ended up being a little bit up.

But about the Irish was riding the Irish to victory.

It was they kept scoring what I'm supposed to do.
It was easy touchdowns against Purdue too. It wasn't even hard,
by the way.

I'll tell you about one of my suckout lucky wins
in a second. But how about Michigan over Nebraska. Did
it not seem like, okay, Nebraska, here we go, Matt
rule year at three game, you're at home.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Right, you gotta get Michigan.

Speaker 5 (09:34):
They got a hail Mary before halftime, and every time
I'm looking up, Michigan is on a joy ride, like
a seventy some yard rush for a touchdown. What's going
on with the black Shirt defense? Over Come on Nebraska.
That's a spot you gotta have and they didn't have it.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
So you're absolutely right. It was a spot that they
had to have. And this is a game that basically
Matt Rule had been, you know, had been like lean
this Parker was a year three, right, this is Matt
Mattwill year three. And the defense has gotten worse this year. Now.
They didn't lose a bunch of defensive linemen and whatnot,
but obviously not been replenished quite the same way. And look,

I think Rayola is just not as good as we
want him to be and it really limits the offense.
And you see it all the time, and what they do.
I know he finished with a good stat line, but
very clearly it's just not the high powered offense we expected. Look,
you're right, they need hail Mary there to get seven
points at the end. Early in the game, they failed
on fourth down and missed a field goal. Just was

a sloppy game from them. And then what what I
what I've liked about Michigan so far this season. Michigan,
by the way, might be a playoff team. It might
be worth investing a little bit in Michigan as a
playoff team. Their schedule is not that hard this year.
Now Bryce young Bryce Underwood was going to have some
games where he has to do more in the passing game.
They'll probably lose a couple of those games, like we
saw against Oklahoma. But what I like about what Michigan

is doing right now is is, and this is important,
I think it makes sense for all the football is
they have designed an offense around two things right. One
is Bryce's underwood strengths and the weaknesses of the team,
which is essentially Bryce Underwood is a young passer. And secondly,

(11:18):
it's that they don't have any wide receivers. So let's
design an offense like we have for years, around those limitations.
And also let's highlight his ability to run, which we
saw on a long run there, and keep him out
of harm's way. And they just they run that game plan. Man,
They run the football and it really showed yesterday, and
just a controlled game plan for Michigan, They're going to

be hard to beat. If that's what they're going to
be each and every week.

So I was watching, I had the four screens going
on late last night and I'm watching UTSA at Colorado State.
No one can score, all right, So I got an
in game line. They had to score twenty one points
to hit the over. I took the under, okay, and
so off for the game. Yeah for the well from

that point on, yeah, from that point on, and so
you know how it goes. You enter in the wager
and things are looking great, and then all of a sudden, boom, touchdown, boom,
like seventy five yard touchdown. You're like, oh my gosh,
I got to avoid another touchdown to hit this bet.
Another touchdown. With about thirty seconds to go, Colorado State

just has.

To kick the extra point.

Speaker 5 (14:02):
We're going to overtime, okay, And I'm like, all right,
just hit it. This is a college extra point. So
they hit the extra point. Off side penalty, big deal.
All of a sudden, Mike Norvell, he's like, you know what,
go for two. Take the extra point off the board.
We're taking the penalty. We're going for two.

Jay Rayville, by the way, Yeah.

J Norville. They bring in a backup quarterback, a little
dual threat action. They roll them to the right.

You know, he's a little indecisive, like should I let

We win. So it was a loss, like they kicked

Yeah, And all of a sudden there's a fluke penalty.
They go for two, they don't get it, and I win.

So it evens out.

You know, that's I Unfortunately, I can't think of many
times I've ever had an evening out. But you know
I did the same thing yesterday, Brian, where I had
Maryland under sixteen a half team total, and their first
fourteen points yesterday were a pick an interception down the
five yard line that they in two plays that's a touchdown.
They blocked a punt and then scored a couple plays

later in the red zone, so like two kind of
fluky scores. So I go, you know, I went to
under twenty six and a half, all right, I put
the bed in seventy five yard pass down to like
seven yard right now. They they kicked a field goal there.
But they scored thirteen points in the game off their
own drives, like without turnovers. It's one of those things
like you lose it. They end up with with twenty seven.

(15:26):
I lost by half a point, and it's like they
scored fourteen points off turnovers and thirteen points regularly. They'd
punted nine times, And you just have to shake your
head and be like, yeah, that that just the way
it goes when you gamble, man.

Yeah, it can work out that way, no doubt about that.

Correct amount of people that are listening to us, guys
is amazing. I just said, like Jacksonville first quarter, I
got one, two, three, four different people saying should I

at the Browns Packers a seven and a half point
road favorite against Cleveland. Who's you know, at the top
of the list in many defensive categories here. I don't

know what you guys think, but man, this sets up
to be a low scoring slobber knocker to me, I
just look at first things first, the Browns defense.

Look at what they've done so week one.

They held Burrow and the Bengals to seven yards in
the second half. And then last week, even though they
gave up four touchdown passes to Lamar Jackson, they didn't
give up a lot of yards. And they held Derrick
Henry to twenty three yards on eleven carries. Dereck Henry
nothing against this Browns defense. And then on the other side,

we all know about Micah Parsons. He had eight pressures
last week alone. What do you think he's gonna do
today against Joe Flacco. Joe Flacco is an iron deer
back there, and if he's facing a consistent pass rush,
that is disadvantage. Brown's offense, so I see a low
scoring game in this one.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
Here a couple of things in this game. First off,
the Packers start really fast because they always want the
ball to start games. It's worth noting that's the way
they play. A lot of teams defer the Packers take
the ball, I believe, so they tend to start fast
in games. So something to note if you want to
look at some first quarter stuff. But man, this week,

(20:42):
the theme I think is going to be just ugly
home dogs because this is the Packers. I would imagine
if there's a person you like to fade, okay, they're
going to be on the Packers today, just like the
bartender is. And it's two and oh there got more
rest the Browns stinking. Look, if the Packers won this

(21:05):
game by three scores, it wouldn't surprise me at all.
But man, this is this is like this is the week.
Week three is a week where a lot of two
no teams struggle. Historically, the teams that are zero and two,
they're trying to salvage anything they know. And three is
it like they know that the Browns are not good.
I'm not saying that crack, but getting a touchdown and

(21:30):
a point or touchdown, half a point. Like to me,
it's Browns or nothing. This is the entire week. It
feels like this entire week like I'm gonna be on
a lot of ugly sides, but low scoring game. Can
the Browns just can Can they get to seventeen points?
You know? Can they get to twenty points and cover
this game? That's the question for me.

And you guys know I'm in. These big pulls out
in Vegas. Are the one big the Survivor eighteen hundred
people have the pack or so, which which represents almost
eleven percent. So I'm going to be rooting for for Cleveland.
But in more more importantly the big one hundred thousand

the Packers. So I'm definitely gonna be rooting against the
Packers today. I understand it's just two teams that couldn't
have started off any you know differently, uh, through the
first two weeks. But like we just talked about, well,
first of all, the Packers are like everyone's early season
public darling. I mean, it's all I hear is this
is the Packers year super Bowl. Better than you know,

passing touchdowns to Lamar. Their offense has been a big
problem obviously. Joe Flaccoll turned it over it three times
last week, losing forty one to seventeen. The Packers have
looked flawless on offense so and also only giving up
two sacks so four Jordan Love yet to turn the

ball over. You know, I looked at it when I
remember when he got hired for a million dollars a week,
fifty two million the yards, like, Wow, they gave this
kid this much money. It's unbelievable. Maybe he is the

or like what they should be. I'm kind of since

I look at the best were taken so far, we

are still taking much more Chiefs money than the Giants.

of all these favorites this year, they're they're in our
survivor polls that I'm in not a lot of people
out of them compared to previous years, and I just
thought to myself, you know, all these favorites were I
think the only two underdogs that won were like literally
three and three and a half points. How has that

hurt you guys? Hurt the sports books? You know, people
always put these money lines in there, and they love
betting favorites in general. So has that hurt you guys?
Or you know, have you guys kind of overcome that.

Yeah, It's a good one and a good observation. I
would say through two weeks from the sportsbooks perspective, we've
gotten some pretty bad results you kind of mentioned there
in those eliminator pools. Usually week one and week two
will have, you know, some seven point dog that will
end up winning and knocking everybody out. I remember the
Bengals had a couple I think maybe two years in

a row like that, So we haven't had that. And
the other thing that's been happening at Ton, I don't
know if it's because of the kickoffs. They're returning more
kicks and they're they're starting deal position is a little
bit higher, but we've had a ton of overs to
start the season.

Last week, Uh, there's one that want o fox late
with nine games. Eight of those games went over and
then almost all those games went way over too. So
that's actually been what's been a little bit more harder
to overcome so far this season than just the favorite Fortunately,
it's been a little bit of mix of both, but
also when games are going way over like that and
those sgps, that's that's sometimes where we can find ourselves

in some trouble.

Yeah, Christian, there's a crazy stat. I'm sure you're aware
of it where it dates back to last year, but
these favorites that they're they're favored by at least four
points they've won the game. Their record is sixty four
and seven, which is insane. It's such a high clip
right there. So I guess my question is like Crack
handled that portion of it. But my question is have

you seen like a noticeable uptick have you gotten more
volume in terms of these money line favorite parlays.

Speaker 8 (01:02:20):
I would say I have it. You know, that's a
little bit harder to say, just because we always kind
of end up taking favorites money and you know that
trend is obviously still continuing into this season. I would say,
what I feel like we've seen a little bit more
this season versus other seasons is I haven't seen a
ton of games that are sitting around to pick them.
Now we have Cowboys Bears today, but and same with

the Texans Jags also that are pretty close. But the
first two weeks there wasn't a ton of games like that,
which also will then lead to more people putting favorites
end money online favorite parlays. Together, we have more kind
of close to pick them games and at least helps
us kind of we'll get fifty to fifty money on
those games and sometimes it can help, especially with those
big moneyline parlays.

Speaker 3 (01:03:05):
Lots about a quarterbacks today, is there one that people
seem to be backing a little bit more than anyone else?

Speaker 8 (01:03:13):
I would say, so far, that's probably Carson Wentz may
it's just against that Bengals defense who hasn't been too
great this season. But yeah, this is another interesting week
of we have a ton of backup quarterbacks, which I
feel like early in this season we haven't seen that
in a few years. The Cardinals forty nine ers game
is one that's featuring a backup quarterback, and that one
was a little bit surprising to me is it's the

(01:03:34):
game that has taken the least action so far today,
even less than Saint Seahawks. Maybe that's people throwing Seahawks
in their moneyline parlays, but yet not seeing many people
that want to bet cards forty nine ers today.

Christian Tomorrow and I Baltimore Detroit one of the most interesting. Hey,
the prime time games of the year. Originally Detroit money
came in and now we're we're setting. We're sitting at
like four and a half right now, So let me
ask you, do you expect this game to have to
be one of their biggest betting games of the year
or maybe even since BENMGM has been in existence, or

is it right now pretty slow and maybe with the
anticipation of it, what do you feel?

Yeah, that's an interesting When we were having conversations in
the trading room then we felt that six was when
that game opened up at six, we felt that was

see that at least it did come back a little
bit to four and a half. Yes, from that anticipation,
we've definitely anticipated this to be one of the most
best regular season games will probably have this season, and

it will be one that those sportsbook will be monitoring
very closely and very very much hoping that this is
not a high scoring shootout, as it is anticipated that
Ravens Bills game from Week one ended up being a
horrible result for us, because if there ended up being
almost eighty points scored, if we find ourselves in a

mac Jones are gonna be this perfect pair. And he

was fine against New Orleans. They were clearly better he was.

since the injury, this guy has not had even close
to the same juice as he once did. He was

rolling five carries. Then last week against the Eagles, ten
carries for twenty two yards. It's an average of two

point two per rush. It's unacceptable. And Jeff you mentioned
it like we always act like it's just the Lions
or something like a team that you start the run game,
you establish that, and then you build off it with
the play action passing game. It's like the Chiefs, like
all these teams are connected that way as well. They

might not rely on play action passing as much, but
a good running game opens up the passing game. This
is football one oh one, and the Chiefs don't have that.

he has double the rushing yards of anybody else on
his team in each of the first two games.

Lions week one look like they looked right. The Lions
in week two were so much better. The reasons didn't
play all that well last week and won by multiple scores.

to play against him. And you see him once every

four years. Now the schedule is a little different now
with the way that works, but he used to be
once every four years. You'd see the AFC team, right
or the NFC team vice versa. So you just weren't
ready to no matter what they do in practice, just
not ready for a guy like that. That's why his
rushing numbers and whatnot or things I look at in
this game. But what the Lions looked so much better
from Week one to week two. There's no thing they

can't come out and run a really good offense like
Buffalo did against the Browns were fine on offense, it
just did turnovers and did dumb things. So there was
a stay away from me crack. I don't really have
a great opinion on what happens here other than I
think both teams should be able to score golf. Outside
is always a little different quarterback, even though he sort
of last season was a little bit better outside than

in previous years. But the Lions kind of found, you know,
found those stride last week and I don't really want
to fade them in this game.

a Ravens defense that hasn't looked great against the run
in the first two games, So the Ravens will be
without their most productive pass rushing guy Van Noy, which
is a big loss in my opinion. Lamar Jackson looks
like he's getting more and more comfortable with his his
wide receivers at z A. Flowers spot. I tell you
I really like this kid, How can you not? I mean,

but even the other one, even the other one Bateman
each week, real, real comfortable future Hall of Famer DeAndre Hopkins,
a healthy Mark Andrews to the mix, and Lamar finally
has a full set of targets that he's been missing
his whole career. So there should be an exciting game.
Two teams have legit Super Bowl hopes. Many people think

that that Baltimore is the best team in the NFL.
It's they're right there, they're right there, So this should
be in this this is but don't be surprised if
they don't lose outright, because Detroit can beat them out right.
We've seen Baltimore just not get the job done and
make crucial mistakes in the fourth quarter over the year.
So we'll see what happens here tonight tomorrow night.
