Good morning, Jeff, Good morning, Crack. Everything good in your world.
Speaker 5 (01:17):
We had an old school slabber knocker with Oklahoma beating Auburn.
Like Auburn was sacked nine ten times, just crazy, ten times.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
Ten sacks, Yeah, ten sacks. Good morning. Happy birthday to
my mom by the way, she's listening.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Hey mom, a happy birthday.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
She she maybe for her birthday gifts. Maybe she was
in Oklahoma yesterday mines at six and a half and
got a got a safety there there. He had like
all all Alburn had to do was just come throw,
throw the ball, throw the just throw the ball the
last couple of plays, but nope, sack, sacks, sacked and
then a safety. Auburn was covering the entire game. A
(01:57):
safety depends what number you got. I mean, there were
numbers that were six and a half. There were seven's
out there, and Oklahoma wins by by seven. So a
fun day yesterday. Look, I have been on the Illinois
as a fraud train for a while now, and I
feel very vindicated in the I did not think sixty
(02:17):
three to ten was gonna happen yesterday, Brian, but I
very much was not surprised that the end result was
Indiana winning that game. And also to my best bet
yesterday was your Irish and they took care of business.
A weird, weird game for them defensively early.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
On at least their offense Ye care business.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Post rain delay really did work there. And you know
what's so interesting my first year playing a college well
it was the first year of the college contest, but
first year really playing a Vegas contest. And I'm doing well,
but like the person in front is like seventy percent
against the spread. It's no way, no matter how I'm
sixteen and twelve now, so like that's good.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
Four weeks fifty that's terrible in the contest.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
That's that's it's like not even but crack. Like the
guy this week that was winning, I think was like
it was like fourteen and six. I mean, I just
there's no chance as much as I'm having fun doing it,
but uh, good day yesterday. It was fun. I'm hoping
to bring it over to you to the NFL.
Speaker 4 (03:21):
Wow, guys, I'll tell you what. So the we do
a zoom call with all of us, and I know
it's not and I don't think I'm on it yet
I'm on it, but I'm we're in the winning room. Yeah,
so if you've seen the background here, you wouldn't believe
what's going on. First of all, I'm in Scranton, Pennsylvania today.
Oh yeah, I'm I'm you know, I used to always travel.
(03:43):
I don't really travel a lot now. But I had
to come back. I had to do my taxes and stuff,
and uh, and I figured, I take a right up
to my friend's house here in Scranton, Pennsylvania. And it's
so homey here where I'm at. He's got a beautiful place.
And as we speak, this is gonna be unbelievable for
later on. He has a restroom behind me, like way
behind me. He's knocked on the door. He's locked in
(04:05):
the bathroom, banging on the door. I said, just sit
on the bowl until I get the first I swear
to God, just sit on the bolt while I get
the first break. I'll come over there and try to
help you. He can't get out of the bathroom. So
this is out of a literally out of a Fellini movie,
a cartoon character movies. It's unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
It feels, well, since you're in Scrampia, it feels like
a Michael Scott thing.
Speaker 4 (04:23):
To be honest, you know, I think Sam just said.
Someone just said that.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
To me, looks like a Michael Scott thing. To just
be stuck on a toilet while your friend has a
zoom call happening behind you. So yeah, yeah, there you go.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
On the door.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
I don't know if. I don't know if, Brian, are
you an office guy and you just strike me the
office guy?
Speaker 5 (04:41):
I dabbled, but not not huge. Yeah, why I don't
fit the mold?
Speaker 1 (04:45):
What is it about?
Speaker 3 (04:46):
I just don't. I just you don't. I don't seem
like an office guy. I don't know that it's you
just don't.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Put your finger on it. I just don't see, Okay,
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
You don't feel like an office guy. Crack probably has
not watched The Office either.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
You know what's funny.
Speaker 5 (04:58):
I heard of it one of my friends when I
write radio in New York. He said, he said, do
you like to fish? And I'm like, yeah, I love fishing.
He goes, you look like you like to fish.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
I would not you like to I would not put
that on you. You like to fishing is not what
I would you like to fish?
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Absolutely, I love fishing.
Speaker 4 (05:17):
I used to love it as a kid too. I
want my dad, my grandfather. I absolutely loved it. Believe
it or not, did a lot of fishing in my life.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
I was My son loves to fish. It's not at
all what I like to I have no patience for it.
My kids love to fish. My kids are in Seattle
this weekend because my wife and whatever. They want to
go see Savanadnas a thousand times and I'm I'm fairly
certain they book like a salmon fishing charter tomorrow for them.
(05:45):
Nice and she said that she's going to send the
salmon home, which I'm very excited for because like fresh
jam come on, Yeah, it's incredible.
Speaker 5 (05:51):
By the way, guys, it is Sunday. I do have
a confession to make. Yes, our colleague Jared Smith, right,
he does calm down to kickoff on Saturdays. I almost
had to kill Jared Smith yesterday. I had violence in
my heart because it was the Oklahoma game that you.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
Talked about, Jeff.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
Where Jeff, I'm sorry, Jared and our esteemed producer Bo Benson.
They were on the winning side. They were on Oklahoma
minus the points. I was on Auburn plus six and
a half. The number you got was really important right there, right,
You could have gotten a better number earlier in the week,
so you can't cry in your beer. But when the
(06:32):
other side needs a safety to get home, that's a
fluke win. And that's what I was saying in the
Saturday thread. I'm like, you, guys, enjoy the win. What
a fluky lucky win though, And Jared was like, oh,
I don't think it was that at all. If you
look at this that you look at that stat and
I'm like, bro, dude, what are you talking about right now?
Speaker 3 (06:55):
In on top of that, too, the officials came out
like a mediately athlete game, like, yeah, we actually messed
something up and Oklahoma shodn't have scored because procedurally, Oklahoma
tried to sneak a player basically play which is which
is you you You pretend the guy is running off
the field, but then he stops before the sideline, and
the rule is essentially, if they cross over the numbers.
(07:17):
I believe it's crossed over the numbers, they have to
actually go out of balance and come back in. And
they didn't do that, and they score a touchdown on
that play because again, like Auburn's like, well, he's running,
he's off the field. We don't want to worry about him.
And so, uh, I mean there was no there was
a no way, shape or form was that thing where
(07:37):
you were on the right side if you had Auburn,
oh you had you had Oklahoma in that.
Speaker 5 (07:41):
Game, right, yeah, yeah, I know that's it was the
worst timing too. It's fresh off of a ridiculous loss,
you know what I mean, Like, all you have to
do is not get sacked in the end zone, and
we're there, we Auburn covers.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
And well also too, like Jackson Arnold just passed the
ball three straight times, Like you have to get rid
of the ball someone. You have to throw the ball
somewhere otherwise you're going to lose what you were going
to lose anyways, but just throw the ball anywhere except nowhere,
which is what it would ended up being nowhere. So
you know, overall, entertaining day of college football, you.
Speaker 4 (08:18):
Win a few bucks. You guys went a few bucks.
I actually grind it out a little profit here another
two weeks in a row. You guys held about you guys,
you guys grind out a few.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Yeah, a little bit.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
It was.
Speaker 5 (08:30):
It was a grind yesterday. Yeah, up, I ended up.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Being I ended up being up by think in the
end what I I'll tell you what this is. And
I was home yesterday, no kids, as I mentioned by
myself on the couch, No orgon went easily. It was
next week, next week, crack. When you play, I'll feel
some sort of way there. But I was. You know
what I did yesterday? I live wager no Dame score touchdowns.
(08:58):
I think on like seven straight drives went they went
five and one. They just kept Purdue. They just kept scoring.
I don't know, I just kept doing it. So I
ended up being a little bit up.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
But about the Irish was riding the Irish to victory.
I love it.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
It was they kept scoring what I'm supposed to do.
It was easy touchdowns against Purdue too. It wasn't even hard,
by the way.
Speaker 5 (09:19):
I'll tell you about one of my suckout lucky wins
in a second. But how about Michigan over Nebraska. Did
it not seem like, okay, Nebraska, here we go, Matt
rule year at three game, you're at home.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
Right, you gotta get Michigan.
Speaker 5 (09:34):
They got a hail Mary before halftime, and every time
I'm looking up, Michigan is on a joy ride, like
a seventy some yard rush for a touchdown. What's going
on with the black Shirt defense? Over Come on Nebraska.
That's a spot you gotta have and they didn't have it.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
So you're absolutely right. It was a spot that they
had to have. And this is a game that basically
Matt Rule had been, you know, had been like lean
this Parker was a year three, right, this is Matt
Mattwill year three. And the defense has gotten worse this year. Now.
They didn't lose a bunch of defensive linemen and whatnot,
but obviously not been replenished quite the same way. And look,
(10:14):
I think Rayola is just not as good as we
want him to be and it really limits the offense.
And you see it all the time, and what they do.
I know he finished with a good stat line, but
very clearly it's just not the high powered offense we expected. Look,
you're right, they need hail Mary there to get seven
points at the end. Early in the game, they failed
on fourth down and missed a field goal. Just was
(10:37):
a sloppy game from them. And then what what I
what I've liked about Michigan so far this season. Michigan,
by the way, might be a playoff team. It might
be worth investing a little bit in Michigan as a
playoff team. Their schedule is not that hard this year.
Now Bryce young Bryce Underwood was going to have some
games where he has to do more in the passing game.
They'll probably lose a couple of those games, like we
saw against Oklahoma. But what I like about what Michigan
(10:58):
is doing right now is is, and this is important,
I think it makes sense for all the football is
they have designed an offense around two things right. One
is Bryce's underwood strengths and the weaknesses of the team,
which is essentially Bryce Underwood is a young passer. And secondly,
(11:18):
it's that they don't have any wide receivers. So let's
design an offense like we have for years, around those limitations.
And also let's highlight his ability to run, which we
saw on a long run there, and keep him out
of harm's way. And they just they run that game plan. Man,
They run the football and it really showed yesterday, and
just a controlled game plan for Michigan, They're going to
(11:39):
be hard to beat. If that's what they're going to
be each and every week.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
Brian, guys, I'm sorry to give you a player. Ready,
camera's not on. Yeah, a little first quarter action here MGM.
Over at MGM, they have Jacksonville Jaguars minus a dollar
twenty first quarter. I am doing a live wager on
(12:02):
that right now. I say live, but you know these
things can happen any minute. So when I am betting something,
Jacksonville Jaguars picked minus twenty first quarter, first official play
here on countdown and.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
Excuse me, guys, I'm in on that. I do like
the Texas to cover though eventually, so.
Speaker 4 (12:24):
I remember, I remember when I first agreed to do
this show and Scott Shapiro, I said to him, listen,
I'm sorry to be doing this, but during the show,
I may I'll be making bet at Sunday morning. It's
a very tough time for me, so I am going
to be doing this live. He said, it's great we
can give out plays live. So I'm sorry. That's exactly
what I'm doing, giving out my first play Jacksonville Jaguars,
(12:44):
which who have disappointed me this season? You know, last
week was that terrible loss plus three and a half
first Cincinnati. I felt like I was winning the entire
game until the last you.
Speaker 5 (12:56):
Were you were, you were actually jar Jared would point
out stats where you deserve to lose, but.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
You know they're neither here nor there. I'll tell you what.
Speaker 5 (13:08):
I'll give you a quick story, because this stuff evens out.
You know, you suffer a brutal loss, maybe in the
Auburn game, but it'll even out.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
And it did last night.
Speaker 5 (13:17):
So I was watching, I had the four screens going
on late last night and I'm watching UTSA at Colorado State.
No one can score, all right, So I got an
in game line. They had to score twenty one points
to hit the over. I took the under, okay, and
so off for the game. Yeah for the well from
(13:39):
that point on, yeah, from that point on, and so
you know how it goes. You enter in the wager
and things are looking great, and then all of a sudden, boom, touchdown, boom,
like seventy five yard touchdown. You're like, oh my gosh,
I got to avoid another touchdown to hit this bet.
Another touchdown. With about thirty seconds to go, Colorado State
(14:01):
just has.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
To kick the extra point.
Speaker 5 (14:02):
We're going to overtime, okay, And I'm like, all right,
just hit it. This is a college extra point. So
they hit the extra point. Off side penalty, big deal.
All of a sudden, Mike Norvell, he's like, you know what,
go for two. Take the extra point off the board.
We're taking the penalty. We're going for two.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
Jay Rayville, by the way, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
J Norville. They bring in a backup quarterback, a little
dual threat action. They roll them to the right.
Speaker 5 (14:25):
You know, he's a little indecisive, like should I let
it go?
Speaker 1 (14:28):
Should I throw it? He finally lets it go out
of bounds.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
No good.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
We win. So it was a loss, like they kicked
the extra point. I lost.
Speaker 5 (14:37):
Yeah, And all of a sudden there's a fluke penalty.
They go for two, they don't get it, and I win.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
So it evens out.
Speaker 3 (14:42):
You know, that's I Unfortunately, I can't think of many
times I've ever had an evening out. But you know
I did the same thing yesterday, Brian, where I had
Maryland under sixteen a half team total, and their first
fourteen points yesterday were a pick an interception down the
five yard line that they in two plays that's a touchdown.
They blocked a punt and then scored a couple plays
(15:04):
later in the red zone, so like two kind of
fluky scores. So I go, you know, I went to
under twenty six and a half, all right, I put
the bed in seventy five yard pass down to like
seven yard right now. They they kicked a field goal there.
But they scored thirteen points in the game off their
own drives, like without turnovers. It's one of those things
like you lose it. They end up with with twenty seven.
(15:26):
I lost by half a point, and it's like they
scored fourteen points off turnovers and thirteen points regularly. They'd
punted nine times, And you just have to shake your
head and be like, yeah, that that just the way
it goes when you gamble, man.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
Yeah, it can work out that way, no doubt about that.
Speaker 4 (15:41):
Correct amount of people that are listening to us, guys
is amazing. I just said, like Jacksonville first quarter, I
got one, two, three, four different people saying should I
play that? Yes? Yes? What do you think? I just
say it fire? I mean I'm firing on it.
Speaker 5 (15:57):
I mean they Brack is our guy Caliendo on the
text chain over, Oh yes.
Speaker 4 (16:03):
Giant fan of the show. In case anyone doesn't know,
I I met him in Vegas online for some pizza.
He turned turned to me and uh we started talking.
I didn't realize it was him. He's lost a lot
of weight and uh yeah, he's firing over there in Arizona. Guaranteed.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
I love it. So now the zoom was on. I
see your set up there, crack is your buddy is
the out of bathroom.
Speaker 4 (16:23):
Yet you can see right there that bathroom door has
been broken open. He has broken out and uh yeah,
his own house. He's yelling at me and we're going
on air. He said, I'm stuck in the bathroom, bab
belle Belle.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
I'm like, how are you stuck in the bathroom?
Speaker 4 (16:36):
Yeah? Like, what do you have to lock the door?
Because I'm here? You think I'm gonna break in when
you're in the bath? I mean.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
A good crag ahead.
Speaker 4 (16:47):
This is I come here like once a year for

figured I come up here. And uh, it's amazing that

you know, tells you you want to switch over. So

(19:10):
MGM make it legendary, all right? Sorry, granol le bar
in the wrong place. Right there, We've got a Packers
at the Browns Packers a seven and a half point
road favorite against Cleveland. Who's you know, at the top
of the list in many defensive categories here. I don't
(19:32):
know what you guys think, but man, this sets up
to be a low scoring slobber knocker to me, I
just look at first things first, the Browns defense.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
Look at what they've done so week one.
Speaker 5 (19:43):
They held Burrow and the Bengals to seven yards in
the second half. And then last week, even though they
gave up four touchdown passes to Lamar Jackson, they didn't
give up a lot of yards. And they held Derrick
Henry to twenty three yards on eleven carries. Dereck Henry
nothing against this Browns defense. And then on the other side,
(20:04):
we all know about Micah Parsons. He had eight pressures
last week alone. What do you think he's gonna do
today against Joe Flacco. Joe Flacco is an iron deer
back there, and if he's facing a consistent pass rush,
that is disadvantage. Brown's offense, so I see a low
scoring game in this one.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
Here a couple of things in this game. First off,
the Packers start really fast because they always want the
ball to start games. It's worth noting that's the way
they play. A lot of teams defer the Packers take
the ball, I believe, so they tend to start fast
in games. So something to note if you want to
look at some first quarter stuff. But man, this week,
(20:42):
the theme I think is going to be just ugly
home dogs because this is the Packers. I would imagine
if there's a person you like to fade, okay, they're
going to be on the Packers today, just like the
bartender is. And it's two and oh there got more
rest the Browns stinking. Look, if the Packers won this
(21:05):
game by three scores, it wouldn't surprise me at all.
But man, this is this is like this is the week.
Week three is a week where a lot of two
no teams struggle. Historically, the teams that are zero and two,
they're trying to salvage anything they know. And three is
it like they know that the Browns are not good.
I'm not saying that crack, but getting a touchdown and
(21:30):
a point or touchdown, half a point. Like to me,
it's Browns or nothing. This is the entire week. It
feels like this entire week like I'm gonna be on
a lot of ugly sides, but low scoring game. Can
the Browns just can Can they get to seventeen points?
You know? Can they get to twenty points and cover
this game? That's the question for me.
Speaker 4 (21:52):
And you guys know I'm in. These big pulls out
in Vegas. Are the one big the Survivor eighteen hundred
people have the pack or so, which which represents almost
eleven percent. So I'm going to be rooting for for Cleveland.
But in more more importantly the big one hundred thousand
dollars Entry Grandissimo, which sixty nine people eight people have
(22:14):
the Packers. So I'm definitely gonna be rooting against the
Packers today. I understand it's just two teams that couldn't
have started off any you know differently, uh, through the
first two weeks. But like we just talked about, well,
first of all, the Packers are like everyone's early season
public darling. I mean, it's all I hear is this
is the Packers year super Bowl. Better than you know,
(22:35):
and and like again, shameless plug for BETMGM, one of
the only sites that you can actually bet every week.
You could bet after the after the week's over, you
could bet season wins, and you could bet will the
team make the playoffs or won't make the playoffs. So
I love them because only like I said, only a
few of them. I love that. But so the Brown's
looking to avoid that owen free that that you just
(22:55):
said after getting blown out by the Ravens. However, they
should have won first Sattie, I would need I needed
him to win that game, and they didn't. But like you,
like you guys said, they also played good defense to
start the season, only allowing one hundred and ninety one
yards per game and a league low forty five rushing
yards per game, unbelievable, Like you said, Derrick Henry twenty
(23:16):
three yards on eleven carries, but gave up those four
passing touchdowns to Lamar. Their offense has been a big
problem obviously. Joe Flaccoll turned it over it three times
last week, losing forty one to seventeen. The Packers have
looked flawless on offense so and also only giving up
two sacks so four Jordan Love yet to turn the
(23:38):
ball over. You know, I looked at it when I
remember when he got hired for a million dollars a week,
fifty two million the yards, like, Wow, they gave this
kid this much money. It's unbelievable. Maybe he is the
real deal, and I just everyone's just on them now
and everyone thinks on paper, I understand this game's over,
but just remember the old rule. Any given Sunday, anything
(23:59):
canon will happen. I'm hoping for a big upset here.
It's gonna be a tough task. But like you guys
both said, no one wants to start one three.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
Who, by the way, is is your is your your grandies? Mind?
Speaker 4 (24:13):
Seattle Seahawks. Not only that got about one hundred and
one hundred and fourteen thousand on the line with them
one hundred thousand dollars entry Seattle. Uh, and also the
fourteen survivors on Seattle.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
So there we go.
Speaker 3 (24:29):
Your your wife is all in on Seattle. Yes, control, jeez,
you got a real back crack come on.
Speaker 5 (24:36):
Yeah, yeah, like you said crack though, like any given Sunday, right,
it's gonna take something kind of kind of ugly, right,
I think in this matchup for the Browns to win,
but they're a live dog with that defense. You know,
maybe it takes a muffed punt in the Browns recover,
you know, Marylyn style like you're talking about Jeff yesterday, right, Like,
maybe a couple of weird fluky bounces, but with that defense,
(24:58):
it's not gonna take eighteen flukey bounces right for the
Browns to win this game.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
And although the.
Speaker 5 (25:04):
Packers have looked great, they've looked great against really good
competition the first two weeks. These are two home games
and one was on a short week. Can we settle
down until they win a road game?
Speaker 4 (25:15):
Right?
Speaker 5 (25:15):
Like a road game? So I'm not going crazy on this.
And Josh Jacobs, he hasn't gotten going yet. That Packers
running game has been, you know, not hitting its stride yet.
The Browns, like you said, crack, They've only given up
ninety two rushing yards in their first two games. That's
really good, really really good. So we'll see if they
can hold that Packers running game in check, maybe get
(25:38):
a couple of turnovers, protect the ball. That's gonna be
tough with Joe Flacco. Maybe they could make this a
fourth quarter game, wouldn't be shocking at all. I'll tell
you who makes it a fourth quarter game every single time.
That would be Isaac loohen kron I Low is here.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
He's got the latest. What's going on? Buddy?
Speaker 7 (25:53):
Good morning fellows. Let's start by running down a Saturday
night's top twenty five college football activities. Number four Miami
improving to four and O of the twenty six to
seven triumph over Florida. How about this Number nineteen, Indiana
blowing out ninth ranked Illinois sixty three to ten. Is
who's your quarterback? Fernando Mendoza completed twenty one to twenty
(26:14):
three for two sixty five with five touchdown passes. Number
twenty five usc defeating Michigan State forty five to thirty one.
They improved to Floridah's trojan quarterback Jaydon Mayava had three
touchdown passes and two touchdown runs. In Major League Baseball
on Saturday night, Cal Rawley of the Seattle Mariners hit
his franchise record fifty seventh home run on a six
(26:37):
to four win at Houston. The Mariners now lead the
Astros by two games for first place in the Al West.
The Arizona Diamondbacks over the Phillies four to three. The
Diamondbacks two games mined the Mets for the final National
League Wild Card spot. Sho hey Otani is fifty third
home run of the Los Angeles Dodgers seven to five
win over the San Francisco Giants. Dodgers' magic number to
(26:58):
clintch the NL West is three. The Cleveland Guardians swept
a double header at Minnesota. They're on a ten game
winning streak and are now one back of first place
Detroit in the AL Central. The Milwaukee Brewers What I
got Saint Louis and ten innings? Three to two. The
Brewers magic number to clench the NL Central down to one. Guys,
all yours, thank you Ilo.
Speaker 5 (27:18):
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to kick Off, presented
by Bett MGM. There's one team that people are far
too optimistic about. We'll get to that in a couple
of seconds. Hey, be sure to subscribe to the Fox
Sports Radio YouTube channel. Just search Fox Sports Radio on
YouTube and you'll see our best videos from our shows.
And don't stop there. Hit that thumbs up icon and
comment away. Let us know whose take you like and
(27:40):
even whose take you don't like. Just search Fox Sports
Radio on YouTube and subscribe. All right, we've got the
Bengals at the Vikings here today, and Vikings a standard
three point home favorite. I'll tell you what you guys,
tell me if I'm off base here. I think there's
far too much optimism with the Bengals. So Joe Burrow
(28:01):
goes down. He's got the toe injury, had surgery, he's
out for three months. And earlier this week, I don't
know if it was just fresh off of a random
win against the Jags where it was. ESPN wrote, even
though Joe Burrow is expected to be out at least
three months with a turf toe injury, there is immense
confidence that Browning can lead the team moving forward. Immense confidence.
(28:24):
What are we talking about here? Like the Bengals are
cooked cooked? Like do you think that Jake Browning some
upper echelon quarterback?
Speaker 1 (28:33):
He's not.
Speaker 5 (28:34):
Joe Burrow put up historic numbers last year. They won
nine games and missed the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Do you like their old line? Do you like their defense?
Speaker 5 (28:42):
They are freaking done and I hate to be, you know,
the grim reaper on this one. That's the truth. Anyone
who's like, I don't know if they could just stay afloat.
There's no staying afloat. They're going under. That's where they are.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
Man going forward, Well, a couple of things here. Was
not playing again this season. Let's like get that out
of the way quickly. He's not playing again this season.
So this idea, I said, I saw something just to
fo until December and then it was like it was
like a very small asterisk. It was like I read
that if we if rehab goes perfectly, like like that
(29:15):
was the asterisk of the story.
Speaker 1 (29:17):
You know what it's like, Jeff.
Speaker 5 (29:18):
It was like your take with Aaron Rodgers, last year's Rodgers.
He's ahead of schedule. If they could just win, They're not.
They're not going to.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
I'm looking forward to to Jokoburrow comeback Player of the
Year next year.
Speaker 4 (29:28):
Brian.
Speaker 3 (29:28):
So, but you don't vote on it though this seaon
they didn't come back from anything important. Disagree with that take. Look,
here's the thing about the Bengals. You're right, Brian. They
won the game where they were Brownie had three turnovers,
and very simply, if Brian Thomas Junior had caught that
pass on fourth down, the Jaguars probably win by ten.
(29:51):
And we're not talking about the Bengals like this, he stead,
he drops the pass. Then they call the bs DPI
on a Hunter that gave him extending in the drive.
Like all the things happen to get the Browns, I
mean the Bengals home, and then we're not talking about
them quite the same way. Obviously if they lose that game.
And you're right, if I tell you backup quarterback, below
average offensive line, and a bad defense. I mean, I
(30:13):
don't like the Bangals make the playoffs to start with.
Now you added all those things right now. Now, the
problem obviously today specifically is they play the Bay the
Vikings without McCarthy, and I for one, Carson Wentz will
never see a dollar of my money. So, like, this
game is just not gonna do it unless Crack has
a wager al my tail. Like, I'm not, I'm not
(30:34):
touching this game. But I'm with you, Brian, Like, I
don't think any way, shape or form of the Bengals. Fine.
I know we try to convince ourselves of that because
of course, like we want our teams to do well.
We want, but it's just not gonna happen. I don't
think they probably don't have all numbers up like today
for like for win win totals.
Speaker 4 (30:55):
But seven and a half over fifty five over over.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
Yes, yes, I'm trying to find out that, Jeff.
Speaker 4 (31:05):
Did I send you guys into group chat at the
beginning of the season either Cincinnati underseason wins? Yeah, not
to make the playoffs. I'm a dog on that. Now.
That's unbelievable. Like I can actually bet to make the playoffs.
I could bet. I can make a better, better bet now,
But what were you what were you actually talking about, Jeff,
alternate season.
Speaker 3 (31:24):
You know, like, like I just I just don't they're
gona win a lot of games. I don't. I don't
really think that this this Browning thing is is what
people think he's gonna come in and keep this team afloat.
I just don't buy it.
Speaker 4 (31:35):
They're no at bet MGM to make the playoffs Cincinnati
No is minus one. You know what, I'm wrong, I'm wrong.
I'm wrong. Then I'm actually a favorite. Still, that's amazing.
This team's two and oh and I'm still that's how
much they're they're they're putting them down here. Didn't know
is minus one seventy five at bet MGM. Cincinnati Bengals
to make the playoffs No. Minus one seventy five. Uh.
(31:56):
So again, now guys, instead of Burrow first McCarthy, we
get Browning Verus card into Carson Wentz.
Speaker 8 (32:02):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (32:02):
The Bengals just been awful against the run, giving up
five point one yards of carry to Jacksonville last week.
Uh really really one of my worst beats of the
year there. You know, I'm not really a bad beat guy,
but that one just felt bad.
Speaker 8 (32:14):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (32:14):
The Viking's got to rely a lot on on running
back Mason and Aaron Jones out. You know, it's just
a journeyman. Like we said, Carson Wentz has He has
the experience, though, so I expect him to feel comfortable
with this offense. Yeah, you know, I think he could
feel good. These are two good backup quarterbacks. I listened
Browning last year had to come in and he was
(32:37):
a superstar. I think he was on It might have
been like a primetime game or something like he shocked everybody.
He's like, wow, yeah, it's Browning. It was like he
came in last year, Like when when when he actually
came went burrowing down, he came in or he started
the next game, he shocked. He was like a primetime game.
People were like, who's this guy? But he's you know,
he's he's also he's been around, He's been around a
(32:59):
long time. These aren't These aren't brand new, you know,
quarterbacks that are just been called upon. You know, we
might not have got the quarterbacksally wanted in this game,
but it'll you know this game also, you know, it's
two top wide receivers in the game. So can Jefferson
and Chase be productive with their backup quarterbacks? We'll see,
But I believe it or not, this should be an
(33:20):
okay game. And of course I'm because I have Cincinnati
no playoffs, I'll be rooting against them, so we'll see
what happened. Yea.
Speaker 3 (33:26):
I am curious about you know, Jordan Mason. You mentioned
it is in for Aaron Jones. There's a little more
juice with Mason than there is Jones. And the thing, look,
I'm curious to see how much he gets. I kind
of want to look up rushing and receiving yards. You know,
they'll probably throwing the ball a little bit. I think
that's a decent play to look at here and sort
(33:47):
of see what you can get for Mason because I
think they'll have to look like they'll run.
Speaker 8 (33:52):
Now.
Speaker 3 (33:52):
The problem is the Vikings offensive line has really beat
up right now, no left tackle, no center, So it
might just be like a stay away. But my thought
process is Bengals aren't good on defense. Mason's got a
little bit of juice backup court, like they're gonna run
the football. But again, the offensive line is a concern
because the offensive line right now for the Vikings that's
very beat up, and you don't have a center in there,
(34:13):
you don't have a left tackleing there. Hard to really
look at a play there.
Speaker 4 (34:18):
Mason at seventy eight and a half yards at bet MGM,
which just off the cuff. Just looking at it, I
would say it looks like a lot. But I'm not
betting that rushing yards. I'm not betting either way right now.
But Mason's seventy eight and a half.
Speaker 5 (34:31):
Yeah, yeah, It's kind of crazy if you think about
the Bengals, where if you said at the beginning of
the year, hey, you guys are going to be two
and o.
Speaker 1 (34:39):
As a Bengals fan, you'd be like.
Speaker 5 (34:40):
All right, finally we like a hot start here. We're
one and nine in the first two weeks, under Zach Taylor.
They're two and o here, and it couldn't look worse
going forward, right, Like, they barely beat the Browns. They
had this crazy, pretty lucky win against Jacksonville last week,
and Burrow's gone for three months. So a two and
(35:01):
zero start is actually looked about as worse as it
can going forward for Cincy. But for Minnesota, it's a
decent spot to get a win here. And as badly
as JJ McCarthy has looked, he's been bad in seven
of eight quarters, they're probably lucky to get a split
and be one and once. We'll see what Carson Wentzkin
do today, right, Yeah, if he plays well and they win,
(35:22):
there're gonna be some Viking fans like, y wow, how
bad is it really?
Speaker 3 (35:26):
I've already had this discussion with people yesterday on the radio.
You just you cannot This is the Anthey Richarding thing
all over again, right, Brian, you cannot give up on McCarthy.
Oh no, because of one or two games.
Speaker 1 (35:38):
That once plays well, you just can't do it.
Speaker 3 (35:40):
So like people are gonna do that. They're gonna say
that what you said, Oh, I'm like, no, no, do
not do it? Well?
Speaker 5 (35:47):
Do it that's not to say dot dot dot and
replace the guy with Carson Wentz.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
Say that, but there are people that are going to argue.
Speaker 5 (35:55):
That, well, that would be a bad argument after two games. No,
that's it's way too fast. I'm just saying it's it's
looked bad. You know, a lot of room for improvement.
All right, we got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper, Jeff Schwartz,
eight year NFL veteran.
Speaker 1 (36:09):
I'm Brian No.

Check this out our late letter.
Speaker 5 (37:17):
Okay, the platter, we each have one selection for you.
We pull it together for a greater payout.
Speaker 4 (37:22):
Crag.
Speaker 1 (37:22):
We'll start with you.
Speaker 4 (37:23):
What do you like? Yeah, let's stick with that. Bet
MJAM still has Jaguars first quarter pick minus a dollar twenty,
so let's put that in my portion of the platter.
Jaguars first quarter.
Speaker 3 (37:35):
All right, as tempting as the Las Vegas aces are today, Brian,
I will skip I'll skip that for now, and I
will take the Patriots plus the one and a half
that is right now. Pittsburgh is just not good. I
don't know why they're a favorite in this game. Mike
Tomlin is a favorite, is not a good covering coach.
(37:59):
The Patriots got a ready win against the Dolphins. I
like the way they're playing. They played better week one
than Week two, and so I like the Patriot here
to cover this game. Probably win the game out right,
but i'll take that the point a half here.
Speaker 5 (38:10):
Okay, take the little little candy right there, gotcha, I'm
gonna go with We mentioned it just a little bit ago.
This Packers Browns game, I like under forty one and
a half. I just I don't think the Packers running
game is gonna be cooking against the Browns. Browns rush
defense is really good and man like Micah Parsons in
that Packers pass rush against an immobile Joe Flacco. This
(38:35):
just has like a slobber knocker written all over it.
So I'll take under forty one and a half if
you can buy those three legs crack legs the Jags
in the first half Jeff on the Patriots plus the
one and a half. I like the under in the
Packers Browns game. Payout is plus five sixty eight, so
close to six to one.
Speaker 4 (38:53):
Odds first quarter, right, Bryan, first.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
First quarter, first quarter? Yeah, my bad, Yeah good, nice,
there you go, Yeah, yeah, I like it. You gotta
make that distinction right there by the way.
Speaker 4 (39:03):
The guy's out of the bathroom. We broke them out,
just to let everyone know. Getting tons of text Twitter things,
people DMS messages. Yeah, he's out, Bathroom's good, he's alright, he's.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
Safe, good to go.
Speaker 3 (39:16):
I just looked up the contest results for the College
contest right now, guys, Oh okay, the leader is twenty
and seven twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (39:25):
And one so far twenty seven and what is it?
Speaker 3 (39:29):
Twenty seven and one record twenty wins, seven losses, one tiext.
Speaker 1 (39:35):
Twenty seven and gotcha still seventy of twenty eight.
Speaker 3 (39:39):
He's won twenty of twenty eight.
Speaker 4 (39:41):
You have to win seventy percent of your bets against
the spread to win these big contexts. The ones in
Vegas is eighteen thousand people in there. Of course you
have to go seventy three percent, So you know, that's
it's it's really I don't care what says what. Yeah,
you can pick the bad lines. That's one of the
things I do. So if I see something minus six
(40:02):
and a half, that's now seven and a half. Mathematically
it's okay to go with that. Trust me, that does
not get you to seventy percent. So there's a lot
of there's a big luck factor involved in these things, guys.
I'm sure you both know that.
Speaker 3 (40:15):
So the college one has a little over one thousand
entries and I'm tied for one hundred and thirtieth at
sixteen and twelve. I mean, I feel like I'm doing well,
but I feel like fill you're clothes.
Speaker 5 (40:29):
The thing to be though, is when you're winning at
a seventy percent clip, people out there might think, man,
you're losing thirty percent of the time. Your record hitting
at a seventy percent clip is sick.
Speaker 1 (40:43):
Your record is ridiculously good.
Speaker 4 (40:48):
I like what people say. I say, well, I'm fifty
six percent, which is really that's greaty six I can
do that.
Speaker 3 (40:54):
That's great.
Speaker 1 (40:55):
Ry it give it a shot, all right.
Speaker 5 (40:57):
Coming up next, it's the Game of the Week and
they're a legit arguments to make about both teams. Oh,
good morning to you, Happy Sunday. We are two hours

couple of seconds. Register with betmgm to get instant access

their first bet, place your money, line parlay bets and more.
Today again, the bonus code is countdown. Bet MGM, make
it legendary. We got the Rams against the Eagles today.
Eagles a three and a half point home favorite, both
(41:40):
teams two and zer. It's got to be the matchup
of the day, right. There's not a better matchup than
this one, is there. It's got to be top billing, right,
it's on the marquee, it's the headlining band.
Speaker 4 (41:48):
Right.
Speaker 1 (41:50):
My big question is.
Speaker 5 (41:52):
There seems to be a lot of Rams love because
the Eagles, even though they're two and oh, their offense
certainly hasn't looked crisp.
Speaker 1 (41:58):
They're barely throwing the ball at all.
Speaker 5 (42:00):
Jalen Hurts had one hundred and one yards passing last
week against the Chiefs one oh one.
Speaker 1 (42:06):
This is the Year of Our Lord twenty twenty five.
You know what I mean.
Speaker 5 (42:09):
This is not like the nineteen sixties or something like that.
In twenty twenty five, when you throw for a bucko one,
it's like, WHOA, what's going on over here? They got
to win, But I think there's a little bit more
Rams love heading into this one when you get three
and the hook in your favor. I don't know if
they're slowing down Saquon Barkley again, that's all we saw
last year. Saquon Barkley in two games, one of them
(42:31):
was a playoff game. He ran for four hundred and
sixty yards in two games. It's that's absurd, Like the
long touchdown runs. Jeff, what do you think about the
Rams rush defense against Saquon today? It starts there.
Speaker 3 (42:47):
So the thing that I that I hear this week
about this game is the Rams could have won last
year in the snow. Okay, so that was last year.
This year the NFL is, that's not the way NFL works.
You don't look at last year to preview this year.
You look at at what it is now. And I'll
tell you what, Man, every single person's on the Rams
(43:10):
this week, I'll tell you that. And I know that
there were plus four and a half's early in the week.
And if you got a four and a half, great,
you could get a middle. If you can think Eagles
with it three now they get down to three. Still
three and a half and a half, it's a pretty
juicy middle. If you got four and a half earlier
this week, I'll tell you that. And look, I the
(43:33):
Eagles won last week because they play clean football. That's
what they always do. It's the hallmark of the Chiefs,
believe it or not until the last couple of games.
Clean football. They don't turn the ball over, don't make
a ton of mistakes outside of their best defensive players
spinning on someone in Game one, and you know they
they just don't make errors. You know, they play a
(43:56):
brand of football that's physical that allows you to have
six no matter what type of game it is. You know,
everyone last week was like, well, Kelsey catches the ball,
Chiefs win. There were ten minutes left. There was the
whole lot of time. It wasn't like that was the
final play of the game. So I look to back
the Eagles here and minus three and a half because
I think the entire world seems to be on the rams. Again.
(44:17):
If you got four and a half. Great, it's not
four and a half anymore, you know, it's a big
difference four and a half and three and a half
to three, right, So crack, I think I would I
like the Eagles because of the way the style of
they play. I like the ability to rush the passer
and stop the Rams running game. I like the ability
to hit Matt Stafford with that bad back, and I
(44:38):
like their ability just to control the run game. I
think with Barkley, then I think a J. Brown today.
Last week he got a ton of targets but didn't
get a couple of long games. I think in this
game there's matchups against the Rams secondary the favorite AJ Brown.
Speaker 4 (44:52):
Yeah, Jeff is spot on here. Everyone is on the
Rams in this game with the points, including myself, by
the way. But I actually got did get a decent
four and a half difference. I did, I did. I
got four and a half. I also met some plus four,
but I think plus three and a half was still
a play here. So but both these teams too, and oho,
(45:14):
this is probably the game of the week. Two. We
got a rematch from last year's memorable playoff game that
the Eagles won twenty eight to twenty two.
Speaker 8 (45:21):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (45:21):
That game featured those you know, those two long touchdown
runs by Barkley. It was just unbelievable, and the Rams
still fought back and I had a chance to win
at the end. The conditions will be better today and
the Rams focus will definitely be on stopping Barkley and
the Eagles rushing attack. You know, the Rams, Matt Stafford
(45:42):
has looked comfortable after all the you know, back rumors
this offseason. Devonte Adams has fitted really well, and they
would look to, you know, get off to a fast start.
You know. Let me let me just tell you though
I have Jeff brings up a good point. Though I
have heard from so many people, yeah this week Rams
(46:02):
Rams ramp. That does scare me. But then I found
a sharp guy on the the Eagles minus three, minus twenty,
so it's gonna be in it. It's like I said,
this is probably the game of the week.
Speaker 5 (46:16):
Absolutely, It's the game of the week, no doubt. You
know what's funny to me is if you go back
to that snow game last year, like you were saying, Jeff,
a lot of people love going back to that, and
I thought, for a second, I'm like, man, that was
a really close game as a field goal game, right, No,
it wasn't. Like the Rams still lost twenty eight to
twenty two. Like the Eagles still won by six points.
(46:36):
So it's funny like in a game today where it's
a three and a half point spread typically right like,
depending on when you get it, it's three and a
half right now, if you're like, if you're clinging to
the snow Bowl to be like, hey man, the Rams
could have won that game.
Speaker 1 (46:51):
Yeah, they could have.
Speaker 5 (46:52):
They still lost by six, you know, So the thing
that you might be using to make this Rams plus
three it didn't even go in your favor then, where
it's still a six point loss.
Speaker 1 (47:02):
So take that for what it's worth.
Speaker 5 (47:03):
Cracksid something important right there at YouTube, Jeff, where you're
talking about the secondary of the Rams, Like there are
matchups to exploit right there. And I'm wondering this Eagles
passing game, which has not been on point at all
against the Cowboys, against the Chiefs last week, can they
get it going today? Because there's no Jalen Ramsey back there,
(47:24):
right they traded him away, and uh, and you've got
you've got matchups to exploit right there if you just
look at their secondary.
Speaker 1 (47:32):
It's not a who's who your corners.
Speaker 5 (47:33):
You've got Darius Williams, a Kello Witherspoon, You've got Quinton
Lake playing the slot. Like that's that's advantage Eagles if
they want to get their.
Speaker 1 (47:43):
Their passing game cranked up.
Speaker 5 (47:45):
And I know there's there's trepidation because there's a new
offensive coordinator right there, but they're certainly capable. AJ Brown
had a couple of nice catches last week. They just
haven't really gotten it going.
Speaker 1 (47:56):
It could start today, It couldn't look.
Speaker 3 (48:00):
I know people will say that like Jalen Hurts and
you know he doesn't it to your point where I
didn't throw the ball a lot last week. He can't
do it. But the fact is we've seen in two
Super Bowls now he can't do it. Yeah, and and
Jalen Hurts the best quarterback. No, he's not the best quarterback.
But if they if they need him to throw, he
can do it. We know now. His limitations I think
(48:20):
are sometimes throwing from the pocket. You know that that
we see if he's not on time, if you can't
get home early, you know, and and and and and
and sort of get him off his spot. He's gonna
find he's gonna make plays. So this was really interesting
to me. I I didn't you know, I I don't
have much on it. I'm debating, you know, like if
(48:40):
they're gonna be in my in my Crack challenge. Later
we'll see what the numbers are at by the time
the show kicks, you know, but by the time this
kicks off. But really fun one o'clock game today, So
looking forward to it. It will tell us I think more
about the Rams and the Eagles. I think we know
what Eagles are at this point, and uh, the question is,
like are the Rams. So the Rams are interesting in
general because we did our preview shows. As we head
(49:04):
into the I think we were all in the Rams.
We're all in the Rams, right, Stafford injury happens and
it doesn't plack us all training camp off the Rams,
you know, the people like under Rams. Under Stafford undera stuff, right,
which is a totally understandable reaction. I had the same
thing where I thought, like too, even now, if he
gets hit the back weird today, that might be it.
We don't know, right, but week one struggle a little
(49:25):
bit Stafford didn't payoff. Training camp makes a little bit
of sense. Week two, last week, offense pick it up
a little bit, right, Adams had a good game, had
a long touchdown. Like it's picked up a little bit.
So I would expect natural progression is if Stafford stays healthy,
the Rams will play well today, right, Like that's and
I think that we were so off the Rams now
people are so excited to be back on the Rams.
I think that's a lot of what we're seeing with
(49:46):
a lot of the Rams money.
Speaker 5 (49:49):
Yeah, and by the way, how about this last week,
for what it's worth, ratings bonanza. So the Eagles taken
on the Chiefs and the Eagles winning that game. It
drew thirty three point eight million viewers on Fox. It's
the most watched regular season Sunday telecast ever.
Speaker 4 (50:06):
So one of my one of my main guys here,
one of my guys is on the AJ Brown over
receiving yards. I'm not at all you know, you guys
probably know I hate, not that I hate. I've adapted.
I've adapted. I would used to be an under guy
seventy five eighty percent unders. I do play some overs
now I do respect that, and I did play that.
So Brown over receiving yards I do agree with that today,
(50:30):
So see what happens.
Speaker 3 (50:32):
You know, I was, I think I was on the
last week, and I told you I was on Brown
last week, and he caught a ton of buddy catch
and whatever here he got. He got five receptions, he
got eight, he got eight targets. But he just take
catch the ball for any distance, right, And so I'm
hoping today they can get an opportunity to get that
ball down the field. And look, the thing about it,
too is it's important to note sometimes what the media
(50:55):
in a in sort of covering a team is talking about.
And there's a lot this week about what Brian mentioned
the Eagleston passed the ball last week, did he get
down for path? Like I think today they're going to
try to I don't you think it's kind of crazy,
But like coaches hear that. Coaches don't. If any coach
tells you they don't read the media, they're lying to you,
they might not read it themselves. It's brought to this.
(51:15):
I got a stack of paper here. This is brought
to them. The stack of paper's brought to them, Like,
here's what the media is saying this week. General manager,
head coach.
Speaker 4 (51:22):
The head coach gets that stack.
Speaker 3 (51:25):
I think I think they're made aware of what's happening
in the media. I don't know if they read it
or not, crack, but they know what's being said about them.
Speaker 4 (51:32):
And they also that they all know that their favorite
by ten this week too.
Speaker 3 (51:35):
Then, uh. I think the young coaches college coaches know
for certain because they talk about it and they play
that way. I don't think Andy Reid knows what de
points bread is today, but I think that Sean McVay
might know. I think some younger guys might know.
Speaker 4 (51:49):
I don't think and someone can use that as motivation. No, guys,
we're seven and a half point underdogs.
Speaker 3 (51:56):
They might, But I'll tell you this, the underdog thing.
I've said this for many many years. The greatest and
the superpower of athletes just convince themselves to underdogs when
they're not. Remember the Patriots in twenty eighteen, No one
believes in us. My favorite, by the way, our sixth
Super Bowl.
Speaker 5 (52:11):
My favorite was in college the Georgia. No, it was
Alabama and they were taking on Cincinnati. And Alabama's like,
we've been underdogs all year. You're playing the bear Cats here?
Speaker 3 (52:23):
What are we when Georgia won the championship a few
years ago. The guy was like everyone thought would be
seven and five. No one said that, No one said that.
So correct coaches will say that to us, Like, guys,
no one believes to you this week. No, you know
you're the underdog, no one. I don't think anyone says
your seven pointer, Like I don't think Stefancy's going guys
seven and a half point dogs this week. But I
think that if they'll say no one believes in us,
everyone's saying we're underdogs. Everyone saying we're gonna lose. That
(52:45):
is an athlete superpower.
Speaker 4 (52:46):
Man.
Speaker 3 (52:47):
Think about how many times athletes talk about that and
it's not absolutely not true. I mean there was even
individually there was a who was it was a player.
It might even bring Bryce Soon was like, I've always
been underdog, like five star recruits Alabama.
Speaker 1 (53:00):
Yeah, you're right now the draft underdog.
Speaker 3 (53:02):
What are you talking about? And so you know there's
athletes do it. Man, it's our superpower.
Speaker 1 (53:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (53:09):
I like how DeVante Adams has looked for the Rams.
They've done a really good job marketing him. Often he's produced,
he's looked really good. Opposite Puka Nakua. That's a great
one two punch right there. Really excited for this game.
Like you said, Jeff, it's a good litmus test game
for the Rams. It's like where do we stack up?
It's the road game against the defending champs. Where are
we right now? And so I think this will unveil
(53:31):
a lot with the Rams. I'll say this in terms
of crack. You were mentioned in aj Brown and that
could certainly be a good play today. The one thing
that I think, and You've said this numerous times, Jeff,
a lot of these sharp guys, they'll find something that
works and they'll just keep going back to the well,
going back to the well. How do you go away
from Saquon Barkley today? You know, it's it's right there
(53:52):
in front of you.
Speaker 1 (53:53):
The Rams.
Speaker 5 (53:53):
They're still an undersized defense, and the Eagles offensive line
was pushing them all around last season. And so Eitherquon's
over rushing yardage or saquon over longest rushing attempt certainly
in play today.
Speaker 1 (54:08):
I wouldn't I wouldn't just stray away.
Speaker 5 (54:10):
From that because you're like, all right, all right, they're
gonna load the box. They're still the Eagles still ran
on the rams when they're loading the box. I just
don't know how they're slowing him down.
Speaker 3 (54:21):
Well, I mean, I think the idea is the way
the Eagles pass game works though, is you run the
ball to pass the ball right right, So they they
will always try to run the football. It's what they do.
And uh and you know get looked third and one
two that that here comes a touch. Push here it comes.
It has let's say September twenty first, it has until
(54:42):
what's the Super Bowl February seventh year, right, Yeah, that's push.
That's how long push has left. I see some stuff
today like, well, d NFL might not bring up for
a vote. Oh buddy, okay, it's it's being brought up
to a vote today. Look, I like to play with
it is what it is that I think it's a
skilled play rather than a luck play. But you cannot
have multiple guys fall starting on the play. The neutral
(55:06):
zone stuff is ridiculous. Don't anyone who says that is
wild the neutral zone. There's no such thing as neutralzone
on offense. You're either off sides or you false start.
There's no neutral zone in faction on the offense. So
stop saying that it's not a thing. If your helmets
behind the ball, you're on sides. That's all that matters.
If you're helmets in front of the ball, you're off sides.
And that's what happened for the Bengals the right cards.
(55:26):
I had to call them off side, So stop complaining
about that. For the Eagles, that's not the problem. The
problem is the false starts. If you're jumping before the
ball is snapped, and I get it's a very hard
play to officiate. You're very far away. It looks simultaneous.
But today it will not surprise me if the Eagles
got called like a false start or something weird. The
officials did something that I just su pushed today to
prove they're paying attention to what we're saying about the
(55:49):
About the play.
Speaker 5 (55:51):
I'll just say real fast, I don't want it to
go away, just the principle of it. The Eagles are
better at running it than anybody Else's correct. That shouldn't
mean that it should go away, you know what I mean,
Like tough, stop it, figure out a way. If you
can't deal with it, live with it away right away.
I just hate that it is going away. But the
(56:12):
thing is don't make it. Oh, oh, it's it's safety.
Speaker 1 (56:16):
Oh, it's this. You just don't like it. That's it.
Speaker 5 (56:19):
You just don't like how it looks. It's this goofy
looking rugby play. I'd be I'd have more respect for
it if you just owned it and say we don't
like it.
Speaker 1 (56:26):
It looks kind of dumb.
Speaker 5 (56:27):
Okay, but still that's not a good enough reason. At
least you're being like truthful with it. Don't try to
shoehorn safety in there. It's not a safety issue.
Speaker 3 (56:37):
They're banning it because they don't like the result of
the play. That's it's not for safety. No one gets
hurt of the play. That's the thing too, is like,
you're banning it for safety, but give me the who
gets hurt? Show me who he's got hurt on this play?
Speaker 1 (56:48):
Yeah, where's the data? Take that for data? Right? They
don't have it. They don't have this. It's like, oh,
it's safety, okay.
Speaker 5 (56:55):
Who who's the guy?
Speaker 3 (56:57):
You know?
Speaker 1 (56:57):
It's crazy.
Speaker 5 (56:58):
We've got Bill Krackenberger, sational sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz, eight

want to be there as well, you need to know
who the book needs.
Speaker 1 (57:39):
Christians will tell you.
Speaker 4 (57:39):
Coming up.
Speaker 5 (57:40):
Yep, it is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented
by BETMGM.
Speaker 1 (57:44):
Take that for data.
Speaker 5 (57:46):
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by
bet MGM. Throughout the entire football season, BETMGM will offer
all different types of no sweat tokens and odds boost tokens.
Be on the lookout for no sweat same game parlay
toe tokens, parlay boost tokens and so much more.
Speaker 1 (58:03):
All right, let's do this.
Speaker 2 (58:08):
Follow the money, real good money.
Speaker 5 (58:10):
That's right, we welcome in our good friend Christian Cippolini,
Senior trading manager at BEDMGM. Good morning, Christian. You know
it's funny. We talked to Seamus McGee on Saturdays from
bed MGM and the technical producer was playing some Megadeath right,
little Megadeth intro music, and I'm like, hey, Seamus, how
(58:31):
big of a Megadeth fan are you? Seamus was like,
what who? No familiarity whatsoever? I feel like you're You're
way more cultured in Megadeth. Am I wrong about that?
Speaker 1 (58:42):
Christian?
Speaker 4 (58:42):
Where you with one song?
Speaker 8 (58:46):
So I beat Shamus by one? Okay, make sure to
give him give him some golf for the office when
I see him tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (58:52):
Very nice.
Speaker 5 (58:52):
Yeah, he's awesome man, But not big on Megadeth. That
Seamus McGee right there.
Speaker 8 (58:57):
I believe that. Actually that makes a lot of sense.
Speaker 5 (58:59):
Yeah, okay, So who are you big on today at
bet MGM.
Speaker 1 (59:04):
What teams do you need the most?
Speaker 8 (59:06):
Yeah? Our number one need. And it's so far been
the case of all three weeks. In this week is
gonna be the Cleveland Browns, one of the biggest dogs
on the slate today. Everybody loves the Packers so far,
this season, so they're the number one team will need.
The other one would be the other seven point dog,
which is the New Orleans Saints.
Speaker 3 (59:26):
It does feel like this is a week where you're
either gonna get a bunch of these teams to cover
the Giants, the Titans, the Browns, like all the home teams,
or it's not Lena talk about Chiefs and Giants. It
feels like this is a big number six. Is this
are we look at the Chiefs like they playing now
or like what they should be. I'm kind of since
(59:47):
those number feels way too high.
Speaker 8 (59:50):
Yeah, and certainly a lot of this is going to
be historical, just off the fact of Fitzpatrick Mahomes and
you know, this is the first time he's had a
two game losing streak to art Is season off. So certainly,
if it wasn't for the name recognition, I wouldn't think
this line is as big as it is. But if
I look at the best were taken so far, we
(01:00:12):
are still taking much more Chiefs money than the Giants.
Speaker 4 (01:00:16):
Hey, Christian, you know I have to tell you because
of all these favorites this year, they're they're in our
survivor polls that I'm in not a lot of people
out of them compared to previous years, and I just
thought to myself, you know, all these favorites were I
think the only two underdogs that won were like literally
three and three and a half points. How has that
(01:00:38):
hurt you guys? Hurt the sports books? You know, people
always put these money lines in there, and they love
betting favorites in general. So has that hurt you guys?
Or you know, have you guys kind of overcome that.
Speaker 8 (01:00:51):
Yeah, It's a good one and a good observation. I
would say through two weeks from the sportsbooks perspective, we've
gotten some pretty bad results you kind of mentioned there
in those eliminator pools. Usually week one and week two
will have, you know, some seven point dog that will
end up winning and knocking everybody out. I remember the
Bengals had a couple I think maybe two years in
(01:01:13):
a row like that, So we haven't had that. And
the other thing that's been happening at Ton, I don't
know if it's because of the kickoffs. They're returning more
kicks and they're they're starting deal position is a little
bit higher, but we've had a ton of overs to
start the season.
Speaker 4 (01:01:24):
So far too.
Speaker 8 (01:01:25):
Last week, Uh, there's one that want o fox late
with nine games. Eight of those games went over and
then almost all those games went way over too. So
that's actually been what's been a little bit more harder
to overcome so far this season than just the favorite Fortunately,
it's been a little bit of mix of both, but
also when games are going way over like that and
those sgps, that's that's sometimes where we can find ourselves
(01:01:47):
in some trouble.
Speaker 5 (01:01:48):
Yeah, Christian, there's a crazy stat. I'm sure you're aware
of it where it dates back to last year, but
these favorites that they're they're favored by at least four
points they've won the game. Their record is sixty four
and seven, which is insane. It's such a high clip
right there. So I guess my question is like Crack
handled that portion of it. But my question is have
(01:02:11):
you seen like a noticeable uptick have you gotten more
volume in terms of these money line favorite parlays.
Speaker 8 (01:02:20):
I would say I have it. You know, that's a
little bit harder to say, just because we always kind
of end up taking favorites money and you know that
trend is obviously still continuing into this season. I would say,
what I feel like we've seen a little bit more
this season versus other seasons is I haven't seen a
ton of games that are sitting around to pick them.
Now we have Cowboys Bears today, but and same with
(01:02:43):
the Texans Jags also that are pretty close. But the
first two weeks there wasn't a ton of games like that,
which also will then lead to more people putting favorites
end money online favorite parlays. Together, we have more kind
of close to pick them games and at least helps
us kind of we'll get fifty to fifty money on
those games and sometimes it can help, especially with those
big moneyline parlays.
Speaker 3 (01:03:05):
Lots about a quarterbacks today, is there one that people
seem to be backing a little bit more than anyone else?
Speaker 8 (01:03:13):
I would say, so far, that's probably Carson Wentz may
it's just against that Bengals defense who hasn't been too
great this season. But yeah, this is another interesting week
of we have a ton of backup quarterbacks, which I
feel like early in this season we haven't seen that
in a few years. The Cardinals forty nine ers game
is one that's featuring a backup quarterback, and that one
was a little bit surprising to me is it's the
(01:03:34):
game that has taken the least action so far today,
even less than Saint Seahawks. Maybe that's people throwing Seahawks
in their moneyline parlays, but yet not seeing many people
that want to bet cards forty nine ers today.
Speaker 4 (01:03:47):
Christian Tomorrow and I Baltimore Detroit one of the most interesting. Hey,
the prime time games of the year. Originally Detroit money
came in and now we're we're setting. We're sitting at
like four and a half right now, So let me
ask you, do you expect this game to have to
be one of their biggest betting games of the year
or maybe even since BENMGM has been in existence, or
(01:04:10):
is it right now pretty slow and maybe with the
anticipation of it, what do you feel?
Speaker 8 (01:04:16):
Yeah, that's an interesting When we were having conversations in
the trading room then we felt that six was when
that game opened up at six, we felt that was
a little bit too much. So we were happy to
see that at least it did come back a little
bit to four and a half. Yes, from that anticipation,
we've definitely anticipated this to be one of the most
best regular season games will probably have this season, and
(01:04:37):
it will be one that those sportsbook will be monitoring
very closely and very very much hoping that this is
not a high scoring shootout, as it is anticipated that
Ravens Bills game from Week one ended up being a
horrible result for us, because if there ended up being
almost eighty points scored, if we find ourselves in a
situation like that where this game goes way over, the
(01:04:58):
sports book will not be happy with that. I'll be
sure of that.
Speaker 1 (01:05:02):
Got welly, Christian, Thanks for the time as always.
Speaker 5 (01:05:04):
Man, And uh, maybe when you see Seamus McGee tomorrow,
maybe try to trick him. Just have like Symphony of
Destruction playing on your phone and be like, hey, man,
if you heard this new song, this is amazing, and
see if he falls for it.
Speaker 4 (01:05:16):
He might might.
Speaker 8 (01:05:17):
Actually, I'll keep you boasted on that goes all right, man.
Speaker 1 (01:05:20):
You have a good day. We'll catch you soon. Christian.
Speaker 8 (01:05:23):
Yeah, see, good luck everybody.
Speaker 4 (01:05:24):
You two there.
Speaker 5 (01:05:25):
He is Christian Sippolini bet MGM, Senior Trading manager. Good
stuff right there. Okay, we'll get to the game with
the least action. Pretty interesting nugget from Christian right there
in a minute or so. First though Isaac Lowenkron is
with us I low with the latest.
Speaker 7 (01:05:42):
What's going on man, the very latest, Thank you, Brian,
because the inactives are starting to trickle out for the
nine early games in the NFL today. Cleveland Guards Cleveland
Browns guard Joel Botonio is active for their game against
the Green Bay Packers. However, right tackle Jack Conklin is inactive. Meanwhile,
(01:06:03):
Packers tight end Tucker Kraft is active. He'd been questionable
after injuring his left knee in practice on Thursday. Meanwhile,
Washington Commander's left guard Brandon Coleman inactive against the Raiders
due to coaches decision. Elsewhere, ESPN reports the San Francisco
forty nine Ers receiver Juwan Jennings will not play later
(01:06:25):
today against the Arizona Cardinals. Jennings had been listed as
questionable due to shoulder and ankle injuries. And college football,
on Saturday night, fourth ranked Miami improved to four and
oh with a twenty six to seven win over Florida.
Number nineteen. Indiana blew out ninth ranked Illinois sixty three
to ten. Who's Your Quarterback? Fernando Mendoza twenty one to
(01:06:45):
twenty three for two sixty five with five touchdown passes.
Number twenty five USC improved to four and oh with
a forty five thirty one win over Michigan State Baseball.
Saturday night, Seattle's Cal Raley at his franchise record fifty
seventh home run on a win at Houston. The Mariners
laid the Astros by two for first place in the
AL West Show. Hey Otani hit his fifty third home
(01:07:08):
run in the Los Angeles Dodgers seven to five win
over the San Francisco Giants. Dodgers' magic number to cleanse
the NL West is down to three guys.
Speaker 1 (01:07:17):
Back to you, Thank you, I Low.
Speaker 5 (01:07:19):
It is Fox Sports Radios Campdown to Kickoff, presented by

it'll always pop up at the top of your screen.
All right, We've got the Arizona Cardinals at the forty
nine ers. As Christian mentioned, this is taking the least
action of the day. Pretty interesting nugget right there. The
line has moved a bit this morning, so the Niners
are down to a one and a half point favorite.
(01:08:00):
So some Cardinals money coming in. I'm curious what you
guys think about this one. So Mac Jones pretty good,
three touchdown passes last week was against the Saints.
Speaker 1 (01:08:08):
But may I look at this game?
Speaker 5 (01:08:11):
This is gonna be in my crack challenge. It's moved,
But I like Arizona Arizona. To me, this is a
game where you have to look at it with anticipation.
Arizona has disappointed offensively. They've been out gained each of
these first two games against weaker opponents. But I think
in this spot with Kyler Murray, who runs around a lot,
(01:08:32):
he gives the Niners fits, I think that he's certainly
the better quarterback in this matchup. And I think that
the Cardinals have played the Niners tough, and I think
this is a spot where Mac Jones banged up team.
We're looking at the Niners like, hey, Mac Jones pretty
good last week? Yeah, against the Saints. I personally like
the Cardinals in the spot you Jeff, were you on?
(01:08:54):
You don't have to give me your pick, but what
do you think about this game?
Speaker 3 (01:08:56):
So the thing that I find so interesting about, you know,
just the way people cover sports is they obviously they
love redemption stories, right, And so all we heard last
week hitting the Niners game was guys, the Niners they
almost drafted mac Jones, but they did. Now he's on
the Now he's on the team, and the Niners and
mac Jones are gonna be this perfect pair. And he
(01:09:18):
was fine against New Orleans. They were clearly better he was.
You know, he was fine. I I just don't buy
the mac Jones thing. I don't know why all of
a sudden he's gonna be great in this offense. Arizona
has given the Niners fits in the past. Part of
that is and is Kyler Murray and his ability to
run has really hurt them. We'll get to props in
(01:09:39):
a few minutes. I might be a hint of what
my favorite prop is of the weekend. And they just
always give the Iris fits. Man, every year, You're like,
Arizona won that game, how and that does matter? Like
there is some ownage there when it comes to Arizona,
and that's mostly a baseball thing we talk about, like
there's just so much so in baseball you play so
many times, there's a lot more trendy information like that.
Speaker 4 (01:10:02):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:10:02):
But by the way, Isaac, he almost said Cleveland Guardians,
that's a crazy story. By the way, what's happening in
Cleveland right now with the Guards and the Tigers that
we're up like what fifteen games like two months ago.
Now it's down to one all of a sudden. So
I think I said months ago to fake the Tiger.
I didn't think the Tigers were good post he'son team.
(01:10:24):
I'll do the same now if they make it. But yeah,
but I would tend to lean toward the Cardinals here.
I don't have a play in this game, will not
be on my crack challenge the number. But it was interesting.
So when they announced party on Thursday, might Play, it
ticked up with just one point to two and a half.
It's come back. That's surprised to see that move, not
(01:10:45):
like in a big overreaction to Perty might Play. It
just moved one point. That was it with Perty, And
I thought it was kind of interesting.
Speaker 4 (01:10:53):
Yeah, you know now what we're hearing now, it looks
like brock Party won't return this week. Is that correct?
Speaker 3 (01:10:59):
He's not playing?
Speaker 1 (01:11:00):
That's Mac Jones.
Speaker 4 (01:11:00):
Okay, because I heard you guys talking about it, but
I read something like an hour before the show there
was like a question mark, so I was like, are
you kidding me? So it's good to hear. So anyway,
I say good to hear. Situationally though, they're going by
Mac Jones again a quarterback this week. Then Jones played
as well as he could last week in their twenty
six twenty one win over the Saints. You know, this
(01:11:22):
was another game last week that it was teeter tottering
and if you're on the spread there, you know, this
is why the bookmakers make such a great number because
it was right there even was the Carolina game. It
came down to the last place too. These bookmakers get
get the numbers right many times. In the NFL. It's
a very efficient number, especially day of the game. That's
(01:11:43):
why the crack challenge is so hard. So anyway, back
to Jones, he threw for two hundred and seventy nine
yards three touchdowns, but that was against a bad Saints defense.
Today should be much tougher for him against the two
and oh Cardinals. Cardinals have been a great against the
so great against the run this season. They hope to
shut down McCaffrey, who has had a slow start to
(01:12:05):
his season. Really haven't heard his name at all, but
coming back from injury, so I get that too. Kyler
Murray has been an erradic at times, but it also
made some great plays. He'll need to cut down the
mistakes if Arizona want to win today. I'm actually on
the forty nine ers money line. I bet them earlier
this week at minus at one in a quarter, so
I'll be rooting for forty nine ers today.
Speaker 3 (01:12:25):
One last comment on this game quickly is McCaffrey had
six catches last game. He was actually in the slot
like he was lining up as a wide receiver, caught
touchdown pass on like a they run two like a stick,
and then they run a corner for three h one
Like I think that he's that's what he's gonna have
to be without the wide receivers in the lineup. So
(01:12:47):
maybe you know, if there's a receptions prop for him,
you know his receptions right now is at four and
a half. It's it's the minus one sixties, So it's
kind of juice there. But like, I think that there's
a possibility that he just has a bunch of targets
today again, and that's some way to play him knowing
that they're going to use him as a wide receiver.
Speaker 1 (01:13:05):
Yeah, I like that angle. That's a good angle right there.
Speaker 5 (01:13:08):
I would say this too, is there's been a lot
to talk about Arizona's offense. So they're the fifth worst
in EPA per play, and that's the truth through two games.
That doesn't mean it's going to be the truth today
or going forward, you know what I mean. I think
we do this a lot with stats where it's like,
well they've whatever, they've covered six straight on the road.
Speaker 1 (01:13:30):
It doesn't mean it's set in stone.
Speaker 5 (01:13:31):
They're covering again today, right, Like, So that's the thing,
man is, Yeah, Arizona's offense has been disappointing. I'm not
going to tell you it hasn't been, but against the
Niners in this spot where Kyler Murray moves around quite
a bit and gives them a lot of problems. It's
something Fred Warner was talking about this week. He's like
the ability to make the off schedule plays that's kind
of that's always kind of given us fits.
Speaker 1 (01:13:53):
And then he goes on talking about Kyler Murray.
Speaker 5 (01:13:55):
It has right, So you got to look at the
spot and just don't finally rely on these stats. You
can use this in college football too, great like nightcap
last night.
Speaker 1 (01:14:05):
San Diego State has.
Speaker 5 (01:14:06):
Been freaking awful this whole year, and then last night
it's just like, what who kidnapped these guys and replaced
them with good players?
Speaker 4 (01:14:14):
Like they crushed Cow like fourteen and a half point
the dog invents Yeah, okay.
Speaker 3 (01:14:19):
So I went to bed last night middle first quarter
of like the Colorado games, like, I don't know, ten
forty five. I had Colorado, thankfully they covered. I wake
up in the morning, I look at the sports like
what we always do, right, thirty four nothing.
Speaker 4 (01:14:34):
That's unbelievable, dude.
Speaker 3 (01:14:35):
So okay, they're I'm I have calendar five and a
half wins. I thought this was what cal was. And
then they won the first three games. Their quarterbacks are
true freshman looks incredible. The true freshman class been him
and and Malik Washington and Bryce underwould look fantastic. Right.
That's that's by the way, that's Maryland and Michigan and Cal.
(01:14:58):
But in the first game, I tweet out, like I
give my picks. I faded them week one and then
I just got a discussion with him with Cal person,
I was like, can you guys play any offense? And
they scored thirty four points? They're starting wide receiver tweeted
at me. He said, great, take Jeff Tron Griselle. It
was fantastic. I had my podcast this week. We talked
all about Cal. Like I was like, games are calling
(01:15:19):
me out, blah blah. Lost thirty four to nothing. After
like we like did this whole like Cal thing, Like
welcome to Cal football. They're three to zero, They're going
thirty four nothing. That's it. To score zero points is hard,
no matter how bad you are. I mean, Kent State
scored at Florida State yesterday, like Walder starters were playing.
Abe scored at Tennessee. Like you can score against a
(01:15:41):
good team. It happened all the time, dude, shock like
shocking results.
Speaker 1 (01:15:46):
Thirty four nothing, yeah, thirty four and nothing.
Speaker 4 (01:15:49):
Like I said, I noticed fourteen and a half's last
night in Vegas. Yeah, and then to see the final score,
I almost thought I was reading wrong. It was thirty
four nothing the other way. That's that's incredible, it really
it is.
Speaker 1 (01:16:01):
But it just shows you the same thing with these
NFL games.
Speaker 5 (01:16:04):
You have all these stats, and Okay, this team is
the better team, this team is the sucky team. It
doesn't mean it's gonna play out like that today, right,
Like that's I think sometimes we're way too beholdened to
these stats as if history is just gonna repeat itself
like every single week.
Speaker 1 (01:16:19):
That's not how it goes.
Speaker 5 (01:16:20):

Speaker 9 (01:17:19):
That is cranked christ Field, It's blasted, it is on its.
Speaker 4 (01:17:22):
Way, it is history, it is gone.
Speaker 9 (01:17:27):
Cal Rawley stands alone number fifty seven. He has hit
the most home runs for a Seattle murder in a
single season, passing the Hall of Famer Ken Griffy Junior.
Speaker 4 (01:17:43):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (01:17:43):
What a statement right there. Shout out to the big dumper.
That's complements of Miriner's radio network. For over forty years,
ty Rack has been helping customers find the right tires

(01:18:05):
looking better there, Crack. You know, might win the division,
Astros out of the wildcard right now, so yeah, yeah,
down the stret will come down the stretch they come.
Speaker 3 (01:18:14):
Yeah robust with crazy catch last night and then that
gameky Rawley still is getting plus money to be the
MVP if they win the West, housing not the MVP,
I don't know. So plus two twenty this morning on
bet MGM.
Speaker 4 (01:18:28):
Very nice.
Speaker 1 (01:18:28):
All right, let's get to the prop betting market. Let's
do this.
Speaker 2 (01:18:34):
Prop it up player plays.
Speaker 5 (01:18:37):
Okay, Crack, I know you must have a bushel of
plays here.
Speaker 1 (01:18:40):
What's one of them?
Speaker 4 (01:18:41):
I have too many. Let's go Minnesota Vikings TJ. Hockinson
over thirty six and I'm gonna go bet MGM as
thirty six and a half year thirty seven and a half.
They're over thirty seven and a half minus a dollar
ten Hockinson. I think Wentz targets the tight ends more
today for the h this is a good a good
buy here on a old spot. So let's go hocketson
(01:19:04):
overyards all right.
Speaker 3 (01:19:07):
I like Kyler Murray over twenty seven and a half rushing yards.
Two things. So a couple of things here. One is
that the Niners. As you mentioned Brian for the Warners
say like they don't defend quarterbacks that run very well.
That's been a problem of those for years. Kyler Murray
is actually not playing the Niners very much over the years.
When he when he has, he does rush for a
lot of yards the way that Iers rush the pass her.
(01:19:29):
There's just different ways to get Murray involved. So I
like Murray here over twenty seven and a half passing
the yards. Assume be rushing yards, I shoul say for
the Arizona.
Speaker 1 (01:19:38):
Cardinals, I like it.
Speaker 5 (01:19:39):
Yeah, if you're looking at you know, quarterbacks running tomorrow night,
might want to look at Lamar. Like is that forty
three and a half he gives the Lions? You know
he gives NFC teams fits running around in the Lions yep,
defending mobile quarterbacks like forty three and a half. I
like that for Lamar tomorrow night. If you're looking for
something today, I'll give you a random one. How about
(01:20:01):
Base shoal Touton hih that's a we all know the
household name, baseh ol Tutan. He's a rookie for the
Jaguars backup running back. Jeff, I know you love the
backup running back lines here, but twenty one and a
half yards rushing today.
Speaker 1 (01:20:14):
I like the over.
Speaker 5 (01:20:16):
He's going up against the Houston Texans. Their runstop win
rate is twenty fourth. Jacksonville leads the league with almost
one hundred and seventy yards rushing per game. They're gonna
rely on that offensive line quite a bit. So if
you're looking at touton the backup running back or Travis Etn,
I think those are both solid angles to approach this one.
Speaker 1 (01:20:36):
There you go, all right. Coming up next is this
team and its quarterback Fools Gold. Oh what is going on?
Speaker 5 (01:20:48):
Happy Sunday to your Week three baby. Less than an
hour away from kickoff. That is a beautiful thing. We
will get to a team that might have a Fools
Gold quarterback, and they might be a Fools Gold team
themselves that in a couple of seconds. This isn't just
a game. It's a once in a generation event. The
Harlem Globe Trotters one hundred Year Tour. Come be a
(01:21:10):
part of a legacy that never stops. Be there when
history is made. The Harlem Globe Trotters one hundred Year Tour.
Get your tickets today at Harlem globetrotters dot com. I
got my eye on these Denver broncos. They are fools
gold material here. And this isn't an overreaction from last week.
It's a flukey loss. I don't even think that was
(01:21:30):
the right penalty. I don't think that was leverage.
Speaker 1 (01:21:32):
Am I wrong? I don't know what the rule book says.
Speaker 3 (01:21:34):
Maybe, but he the guy he ended up hitting the
long snapper, right, that was the penalty essentially, Well.
Speaker 5 (01:21:43):
A leverage You're you're supposed to be, you know, either
like propping yourself up or gaining an advantage by using
the offensive guy. Like you can't put your your hand
on the offensive guy. It's not like he's propelling himself
upward to then be able to block the kick better.
I just don't see how that was. Was there an
advantage gained? Why is it a penalty if there wasn't
(01:22:04):
an advantage that was gained?
Speaker 3 (01:22:06):
I think you did. There's one of those black and
white rules. You have to call them all or call
them none, you know, Like, I don't think they use
really a discretion on how the guy used his body.
It's just that's what again. Yeah, sometimes the rules not
applied correctly. I don't think that's your point.
Speaker 5 (01:22:20):
Yeah, right right, But uh yeah, So anyway, the Broncos
they lose last week against the Colts, it's not an
overreaction to that. You just look at the Broncos last year.
They had one win against a playoff team, and you
got to read the fine print. They actually had two,
but the last one was against the Chiefs who were
resting Mahomes. It didn't even really count. So they've beat
(01:22:43):
up on bum teams. That's really what they've done. They
haven't done anything against good teams. They got waxed in
the playoffs by the Bills. Yeah, they've got a good
defense that got diced up by Danny Dimes last week.
Speaker 1 (01:22:54):
You know, where are we on the Broncos.
Speaker 5 (01:22:57):
I don't understand why we're thinking, Oh no, I'm not
looking out for the Broncos at all. I think bo
Nicks like Sean Payton put him in great situations last year.
Easy reads, easy throws, let's get the screen game going
like it's just cutting dried right in front of you.
But this year, when their teams are taking away the
middle of the field and when he's thrown outside to
(01:23:17):
the numbers, he's throwing three interceptions.
Speaker 1 (01:23:19):
Bo Nicks. This fool's gold. The Broncos are fools gold.
Tell me I'm wrong.
Speaker 4 (01:23:23):
Yeah, yeah, you know. These Chargers are looking to start
out to fore, you know, but they're gonna be without
their defensive captain, Kayleie Mack, who for the seable future.
He was really upset on the sidelines last week. I
get it, you know. I remember he came out of
I think Buffalo University and my friend teddy Alis's son
was a scouting coordinator for Raiders. He went there and
scouted him out, and he had the right guy there
(01:23:44):
that he was a hell of a player, and it's
a shame to see him and hurt. Justin. Herbert's one
hundred percent and it looks like one of the best
quarterbacks in the league right now. The Broncos destruggled against
Daniel Jones and the Colts last week that they really
have to clean up their mistakes this week and slow
down Herbert and his Chargers balanced offense. Let's face it,
(01:24:08):
Herbert's been using his legs a lot more this year.
When the pocket breaks down. Sixteen carries sixty three yards already.
The Denver offensive line has protected bow next well, but
They're only twenty seventh in the league in passing yards.
After these first two games, can the Broncos bounce back
on the road after blowing that second half lead versus
the Colts should be actually one of the better games
of the day. Guys, I'll ask you both. Do you
(01:24:30):
have a team in the NFL? I think I asked
you this some previous shows. That's my team. I can't
I can't figure out these charges against them with them,
that's my team to stay away from betting wise, what
do you guys have a team?
Speaker 1 (01:24:45):
I think say? Is it the Falcons for you?
Speaker 3 (01:24:47):
Jeff, Mine's the Falcons? Yeah, which, by the way, I'm like,
I will probably be in the Panthers today, which is disappointing,
but probably. Yeah. So here's Brian. I think this is
actually the perfect spot to back the Broncos. Okay, they
they didn't play well last week on the road against
(01:25:09):
to mention against against Daniel Jones, like an embarrassing performance defensively,
they should have won the game. They didn't, and everyone
is so high in the Chargers, who deserve it. By
the way, Charge have played well, they deserve the love.
But this is like the perfect NFL spot Man. You
have a two and oho team that everyone loves. That's
now the you know, a favorite to do this and
(01:25:30):
that and again this is really not an anti Chargers take.
I think the Charges are really good, but this is
like the perfect spot where everyone's on one team, everyone
the Charge. How dare the Broncos lose last week? They're
not as good as we think. I'm I don't disagree
with that, Brian. I think that they're a little over
hype tending in the season anyways, But just from a
Gamy perspective, I am fine backing the Broncos here. Also,
(01:25:54):
you know this number is two and a half, not three,
you know, like you would think that if the Charger
are that much better, Hopefully ev is really nothing in
Sofi Stadium. It's week closer to a three crack. It's
been two and a half almost all week, and I
think that they're telling you that these teams are much
closer than we might give them credit for to you know,
really record to side.
Speaker 1 (01:26:13):
Hey, all that's fair.
Speaker 4 (01:26:15):
You know, lots of trees out there. Bet mgm at
at two and a half minus rang off one of
twenty guy, Brian, I'm sorry.
Speaker 5 (01:26:20):
No, you're good no problem. But yeah, it's hey, you
might be right, Jeff. Yeah, Initially when this line came out,
I'm like, oh, two and a half, Like, that's stinky.
You know, it's wow, not even a full field.
Speaker 4 (01:26:34):
Goal, that's stinky.
Speaker 1 (01:26:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:26:35):
Right, So initially I actually did like the Broncos. But
the more I've thought about this and I go back
to listen, quarterback play is a.
Speaker 1 (01:26:44):
Big, big deal in the NFL. I'm not telling you
anything you don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:26:48):
And Justin Herbert as playing at such a high level
than bow Knicks. You know, I can't trust bow Nicks
as far as I can throw them. And can we
talk about that for a second, Yeah, Herbert. So I
think one of the biggest developments so far this season
is Justin Herbert. And I know people get tired of
this topic because he doesn't want a playoff game.
Speaker 3 (01:27:09):
Who cares that? Really it's two playoff games? Right then
it is like whatever, maybe it's one playoff game. But
the thing about what I've noticed from the Chargers is
for years, Harbag, Greg Roman, the Oco, run the ball,
run the ball. This year it's Justin Herbert. You're the guy.
Justin be the guy. Harbuss talked about this. I think
(01:27:31):
a lot of us didn't believe it. If you remember
back to game one, Rich Isaen and Kurt Warner were
calling the game. Every time the Chargers through the ball,
they were like, oh my god, they're throwing the ball again.
How dare them? And we saw him. I mean, they
started last week with seven straight past the down and
Herbert ran one of the seven. But the offense is
now Herbert focused and those are championship offenses and they're
(01:27:54):
allowing him to do more, or they taking the reins out. Look,
whatever word you want to use describe what they are
allowing or what he is doing. He's way more confident.
They've also what I like about what they've done to offensively,
they say, Okay, Quentin Johnson, you know you're not a
great round runner and you don't catch the ball very well.
So well, here's what we're gonna do. You're only gonna
run down the field, right, just run down the field.
(01:28:15):
Its fasts you can. We'll throw you the ball up
the nice you know, nice little loopy passes.
Speaker 1 (01:28:20):
Yep, go catch the ball.
Speaker 3 (01:28:21):
Not gonna throw tight space is not gonna make you run.
Lad McConkey, you're the middle guy. Yeah, that's what you do. Well,
Like they have these defined roles offensively, So I like
what the Charger are doing and I think big picture
they're better than Denver. But just I'm just sort of
it's just a kind of a spot play, Like just
look at the spot right now. Everyone's on the Chargers,
everyone's off Denver. I think the Broncos are probably gonna
(01:28:43):
make my make my list today.
Speaker 5 (01:28:45):
Well, I'll be going head tohead with you, because the
Chargers are making mine. I'll fade the Broncos. And I
got the stat wrong. It was the Broncos one real
win against teams with the winning record, not last season,
not not playoff teams a winning record.
Speaker 1 (01:29:00):
They had one real win.
Speaker 5 (01:29:02):
Wow, I throw out their Week eighteen win against Chiefs,
not playing Mahomes. One win against the team with a
winning record last year. I don't believe.
Speaker 3 (01:29:11):
It's wild.
Speaker 1 (01:29:11):
Yeah, pretty crazy.
Speaker 4 (01:29:12):
Hey, guys, I want to break in for one second,
and I want to dedicate this show to someone I
just heard passed away. I've known for twenty five years
from Vegas from sports books. He was in far off
places to working in sportsbooks. Dave Sherapan sportsbook can sig
and I've known him for a long time. He works
(01:29:32):
the Golden Nugget for years, worked at William Hill for years.
I knew him down at the m sports book, which
was Canter and he was fighting cancer and I heard
he lost his battle. So I want to dedicate the
show to him, his free kids, and it's just a
hell of a nice guy. And it really breaks my
heart here and this happened.
Speaker 5 (01:29:50):
Well, I appreciate you shouting the guy out. Crack absolutely, Jeff,
and I underscore that for sure. And yeah, it's listen, man,
I want to be nitpicky, but I man, I hate
when people say lost his battle with cancer, Like no
one loses their battle, you know, like we're all gonna go,
you know, like we're gonna lose our battle with life.
(01:30:10):
You know, we don't say that he just passed away.
He was suffered from cancer, that sort of thing. But yeah, man,
for anybody else who's suffering from that, you know, all
of our best and hope everything gets better. For sure,
I want to throw one more game at you. There's
no easy way to go segue with what you said, crack,
(01:30:30):
but I appreciate what you said. No, no, no, no, no,
you're good. You're good, totally fine. We got Cowboys Bears.
Cowboys a one point favorite on the road. High total
fifty and a half. Both defenses, man, yikes, the Cowboys.
We all know last week against the Giants, Dron Bland
is banged up. He's out with the right foot injury.
(01:30:52):
I mean, Melik Neighbors went nuts. Your guy wan Dale
Robinson went crazy crack last week against the Cowboys.
Speaker 1 (01:30:58):
And you look at the Bears.
Speaker 5 (01:31:00):
Jalen Johnson is out and definitely with the groin injury.
He's an all Pro cornerback. You know they don't have
Kyler Gordon either. Dak is going to dice up this
Bears defense. Man, They're gonna have no answers. Total is
fifty and a half. That's high if you had to
play this one way or the other. You look insider
total here, Jeff, I.
Speaker 3 (01:31:21):
Mean, fifty is a lot. But I think that if
they're just these these deep Look, the Cowboys have no
pass rush without Parsons like zero. I mean, look, Russell
Wilson to for four to fifty on them last week.
Fifty wow them last week. Yeah, Kivid Williams actually played
a little bit better last week. Even though I know
(01:31:42):
that the numbers didn't didn't say that. But the Bears
their defense, they can't rush the passer either. Their offense
line hasn't been as good as as I thought they
would play. I think I actually would be fine playing
playing the Cowboys here just to win the game outright. Again,
the total just so high, I think you just can't
play at this number. But Cracked, the Cowboys to me,
(01:32:05):
are better. And look the one thing about Dallas when
Dak has been healthy, they they've scored a lot of points.
Like They've been a very good offense over the years
with Dak healthy. Dak is healthy now and they have
good weapons and good players, and so I would be
fine back in the Cowboys here. Won't make my Crack challenge,
but I think the Bears just are not good right now,
(01:32:26):
and Dallas is just playing better, even though their defense
thinks yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:32:31):
The Bears looking for their first win of the season
in somewhat of a revenge game, I guess, so they
go up against their former head coach Matt Everthels, who's
now the defensive coordinator for Cowboys. Chicago had one of
their worst losses in years last week, getting killed by
the Lions fifty two to twenty one. People you know
kept saying Williams looks better this year, but that has
(01:32:52):
to yeah, yet to equal up to a win on
the field. So the Cowboys coming off a crazy emotional
win overtime thriller versus the Giant, which I thought they
should have lost. Dak Prescott in the Dallas offense has
been able to score it well, but their defense just
looks like they really miss Parsons to be blunt. Will
the Bears be able to stop this offense and get
(01:33:13):
coach Ben Johnson his first win should be fireworks? Like
you guys say, both sides of the field their highest score,
the highest total of the day at fifty and I'm
just going to be rooting for you know this, this
is the I think I think. I think you guys
may have bet this too. I think Jeff may have bet.
Did you bet Chicago under season with or not to
make the playoffs? Something like that or not?
Speaker 3 (01:33:32):
Yeah, they're yeah, I got both.
Speaker 4 (01:33:34):
I know I sent that to you guys. I just
didn't know if I if.
Speaker 3 (01:33:37):
I just don't think the Bears, especially what they've shown
so far, it's just not good. And the Cowboys again
are not bad. Like I know that they should have
maybe lost, but that you should you know, before the
weather outage in Philly, that game was obviously very close,
but defensively they just can't, you know, they just can't
right now make any stops.
Speaker 5 (01:33:58):
Yeah, yeah, it's weird, right, Like it was an odd
win for the Cowboys last week, and a lot of
times like these, like the Colts had an odd win.
You know, I don't hear people just selling the Colts
left and right because of a weird win, you know,
like you will, Joel, But I don't hear people left
and right. But the funny thing is the Cowboys they
get a weird win, and it's it's almost like they
(01:34:20):
lost that game.
Speaker 3 (01:34:21):
You know, I'm gonna have to watch, like the Titans
play today and I'm to watch like the Yeah, it's like.
Speaker 1 (01:34:29):
A roast today.
Speaker 5 (01:34:31):
Just a day by the way, crack you mentioned you
know Micah Parson certainly missing him, but hey, no worries.
Speaker 1 (01:34:39):
Everything solved. They signed Jadavian Clowney, so they're good.
Speaker 4 (01:34:44):
To go, right, Is that how it works? But you
know why when I said that, I know it, Jeff's
chimed in, right, right, away and agreed, and Brian, you
have to say the same thing. Really, I mean, I
don't know. I just I'm sorry. I just I don't
want to say hate. It's a bad word. I dislike
Jerry Jones. I just just like I know you guys
probably like them. But well, the joking, I'm joking, but
I mean that show on Netflix is actually pretty good.
(01:35:06):
Yeah I heard that. Yeah good, It's really good.
Speaker 1 (01:35:09):
Yeah, definitely worth watching for sure.
Speaker 4 (01:35:12):
Cool.

the primetime games. We've got the Chiefs at the Giants.
That is your Sunday Night night cap.
Speaker 1 (01:36:12):
I've been waiting a day. I've missed that the last
couple of weeks.
Speaker 5 (01:36:16):
Where am I at Like I'm driving around, I've missed
the legendary intro song right there.
Speaker 1 (01:36:23):
So maybe this week are you?
Speaker 3 (01:36:25):
Are you a Faith Hill or Carrie Underwood for the
Sunday Night Team?
Speaker 1 (01:36:28):
I go carry, I go Team Carrie, even though.
Speaker 3 (01:36:30):
She's done a different couple. Offer versions too, which which
you can choose? Which one you'll light?
Speaker 5 (01:36:35):
There spruces it up each time. By the way, Chiefs
six point favorites on the road. This line is fluctuated
a bit. What do you think, Jeff cheap number fields
way too?
Speaker 3 (01:36:46):
I have had The Chiefs are playing at the moment.
All right, so let's talk Chiefs for for a second.
Here the best way to start with this is like,
so their philosophy offensive, we always used to pass the football.
It's been that way for years. They have during periods
been able to run the football, but it's not been
(01:37:06):
a thing that they rely on, right. And the reason
you want balance in the NFL is because if one
thing doesn't work, you want to use the other thing.
Right And the pass game right now is broken because
their wide receivers aren't there, right. And you know if
I if I told you that poking a code Devanta
Adams weren't playing for the Rams today or a J.
Brown and Eagles, you'd be like, well, that passing game
(01:37:28):
is gonna stinck. What's what happened? You can't say, No,
is he ever worthy?
Speaker 5 (01:37:30):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:37:30):
Rag she rice? Okay? So start from that. So when
one thing's not working, the other thing has to pick
it up. And the Chiefs just don't have a run
game right now for a couple of reason. One I'd
play that's for years. In social media. You can find
me at Jeff Shortz Jeff for the g It is
a boring run game, like the Stylistically, it is as
boring as you can get shotgun runs inside zone, some
(01:37:54):
outside zone stuff, but I don't want to explain the
best way possible. They an outside zone with the offset back.
So like, let's say the back's on mahomes left and
they run a stretch to the right. That's so hard
to do it just schematically. I don't like their run game.
Then you add on the fact that the three of
us can break as many tackles right now as Isaiah,
(01:38:16):
Pa Chicken and Cream Hunt can break, which is zero.
Like they don't bring any tackles. They don't make zero tackles.
They're older, so you don't have a dynamic running back.
You don't have have a boring, stale run game. You
can't pass the football. That's why Mahomes is doing Mahomes
things like way early in this sason.
Speaker 4 (01:38:31):
He has to.
Speaker 3 (01:38:32):
And I think Crack six is too much tonight. I'm
a Chiefs fan, you know that. Sure, I think probably
the Unders in play too tonight, but six feels like
way too many points for the way Chiefs are playing
right now. I mean the Chiefs to win, but I
wouldn't be surprised if this was just a really tough
game for them.
Speaker 4 (01:38:50):
Yeah, So crack with a K here so we all
know sorry, we all know that the Chiefs are owing
to and the Owens free takes your playoff chances down
to like three percent. I'll even say k C five percent. Okay,
but this is Andy Reid and Patrick Maholmes. I'm still
expecting to make the playoff playoff run this year. Of course,
the Giants defense has looked bad in its first two games.
(01:39:12):
That might be with exactly what Mahomes needs to be
honest with you to get their first win. Russell Wilson
wow silenced the bringing Jackson dark crowd for at least
another week after his great performance and the Giants overtime
loss to the Cowboys. If you continue to continue that
success today and somehow beat k C, Jeff and the
(01:39:33):
Chiefs nation might go with the full panic vote. Now, Jeff,
I heard you say that before even even Brian. What
happened last Wilson? How did he did he get four
hundred and fifty yards? How did that happen? Like what
they just come back?
Speaker 3 (01:39:49):
Well, a couple of things. Crack Dallas, one of the
Cowboys I think forgot like the Wilson's best thing he
does start that moon ball. Yeah, they kept like the
very of the games that the Cowboy are four. They
just let me lak neighbors run run right by them.
It made no sense. And then of course Auby goes
back against they just a game play thought was really
(01:40:09):
really bad the Chiefs tonight. I mean, schematically, they'll be
fine against Russell Wilson. The question is, like, I just
like the their offensive line against the Giants defensive line. Like,
there's just some I think, some tough matchups for for
the Chiefs tonight. I guess I buy the idea that
(01:40:29):
they're probably not going to start three and Oh but
that doesn't mean you take the Chiefs minus six. I
mean that that again feels like a pretty tough ask,
even if you think the Chiefs are gonna win tonight,
to play them at minus six on the road.
Speaker 5 (01:40:45):
Well, and think about this too, Jeff, where it could
easily play out this way, where let's say the Chiefs
are whatever, They're up by a field goal, they've got
the ball, it's late. They don't have quick ways to score, right,
especially if they have the lead. They're not even gonna
be looking to score. They're gonna be looking to run
the time off the clock. So that's one thing I
(01:41:07):
keep in mind where you go back to Pachecko. Ever
since the injury, this guy has not had even close
to the same juice as he once did. He was
a violent runner. I love Isaiah Pachecko, but you look
at his numbers. The first two weeks against the Chargers,
five carries for twenty five yards. It's a good average
rolling five carries. Then last week against the Eagles, ten
carries for twenty two yards. It's an average of two
(01:41:28):
point two per rush. It's unacceptable. And Jeff you mentioned
it like we always act like it's just the Lions
or something like a team that you start the run game,
you establish that, and then you build off it with
the play action passing game. It's like the Chiefs, like
all these teams are connected that way as well. They
(01:41:49):
might not rely on play action passing as much, but
a good running game opens up the passing game. This
is football one oh one, and the Chiefs don't have that.
Right now, how about this that so you've got Mahomes,
he has double the rushing yards of anybody else on
his team in each of the first two games.
Speaker 4 (01:42:08):
That's unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (01:42:09):
I actually think Mahomes tonight like rush attempts. I just
think that that's what the offense is at the moment,
and he's gonna look to run the ball. They're going
to be in scramble mode to win this game tonight.
It's gonna take everything they have for them to win. Actually,
I'm kind of curious what what his rushing attempts are at.
I would guess it's like four and a half or five.
Speaker 4 (01:42:28):
You're gonna find some six and a halfs on this
game tonight. It looks like every the game's going the
six and a half. This is all case money coming in,
just like Christian said, MGM that MGM has taken. So
you may be able to get this game like plus
seven minus a quarter on an alternate line or bye.
I'll tell you that really makes me if that happens,
(01:42:49):
I'll be on the Giants for something. So, Jeff, did
you find out his rushing attempts?
Speaker 3 (01:42:54):
Rush attempts right here? Five and a half plus one twenty.
I think he's gonna five and a half over over
over over plus one twenty. Think about this too. If
you think they're gonna win, you have some kneel downs.
Those are rush of temps, right.
Speaker 4 (01:43:08):
Yeah, yeah, oh, I got controversy the other night about this.
But yeah, then in the game, but uh, Neil Allen
knee hit the ground, you see that right? Yeah, his
name was on the ground. Though I think people wanted
to not be on the ground. It was.
Speaker 3 (01:43:23):
It was on the ground.
Speaker 1 (01:43:24):
It's fine.
Speaker 4 (01:43:25):
Yeah, well no that that that's the point of it.
His knee was on the ground and they didn't count that.
They did, They just didn't. They counted as zero. They
didn't count. They didn't count his yards because he was
at his rush yards. He was at his rush had
his rush yards. So you're supposed to lose. I don't know,
guys lose two three yards? One?
Speaker 8 (01:43:46):
One?
Speaker 1 (01:43:47):
Yeah, one or two?
Speaker 4 (01:43:48):
Yeah, it's this particular one. Of course, the people that
had that were involved in it and lost.
Speaker 1 (01:43:53):
So that's three yards.
Speaker 4 (01:43:54):
So it was all over Twitter it's three yards. So
if it's two yards though, he counted his two yards
and they just didn't count it.
Speaker 1 (01:44:02):
I lost last week.
Speaker 3 (01:44:03):
Just didn't count it at all.
Speaker 5 (01:44:05):
That's crazy all I just forgot it. It's like it's
like college they don't count. That's what's weird. The college
they count sack yardage against the quarterbacks.
Speaker 3 (01:44:16):
That's my number one statistically need to change in cars.
Speaker 5 (01:44:20):
Ridiculous. But they don't count in college. They don't count
like the kneel downs against your rushing yards. So it's
the exact opposite in the NFL. Like the NFL, they
get it right. They don't count a quarterback sack yardage
against his rushing total because that's right, right, but they
do count your neel down yardage.
Speaker 4 (01:44:38):
Again. I lost with Mac Jones last week, all right, Right.
Speaker 3 (01:44:42):
That's why college quarterback rush attempts, because they count sacks
as rush attempts, which is like just the dumbest thing
of all.
Speaker 5 (01:44:48):
I had money in my account and then I get
the dreaded bet MGM email, Like, sorry, Neil, I got.
Speaker 4 (01:44:54):
An email last week, I got an email from.
Speaker 5 (01:44:58):
I got a good email, though, Like last night, he
crack with the colonizer. Right, they took the point off
the board. They didn't get the two. They're like, hey,
if you thought you lost, good news.
Speaker 4 (01:45:08):
You won. You lost. That's what it says. You're right,
I've got that.
Speaker 3 (01:45:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:45:13):

Speaker 7 (01:45:40):
Fellas, we got nine early games kicking off at the
top of the hour. Cleveland Browns guard Joel Buttonio is
active for their game against the Green Bay Packers. He
had been questionable due to a back injury. Right tackle
Jack Conklin, however, inactive due to an elbow injury. Green
Bay tight end Tucker Kraft is active. He'd been questionable
with a left knee injury that he's sustained in practice
(01:46:01):
on Thursday. Washington Commanders left guard Brandon Coleman inactive against
the Raiders due to coach's decision. Tampa Bay wide receiver
a Mecca Abuka is active for their game against the
New York Jets. He'd been questionable because of hip and
groin injuries. In Major League Baseball, the Milwaukee Brewers today
have played starting pitcher Brandon Woodroff on the fifteen day
(01:46:21):
injured list due to a right latch strain. Finally, some
sad news from the National Hockey League Hall of Fame
goaltender Bernie Parant has passed away at the age of eighty.
Parant backstopped the Philadelphia Flyers Broad Street Bullies of the
nineteen seventies to two Stanley Cups, including here when he
shut out the Boston Bruins won nothing in Game six
(01:46:43):
of the nineteen seventy four Stanley Cup Final. Right Guys,
back to you, Thank.

Lions at the Ravens. Great matchup, Got the Ravens favored
by four and a half right now, total is fifty
fifty three and a half.
Speaker 1 (01:47:40):
Good lord, it's really high until you know they combined.
Speaker 5 (01:47:43):
For twenty eight points immediately, and they're like, oh my gosh,
how's this under gonna hit? You know, but Lamar seven touchdowns,
no turnovers this year. He's been dynamic, and you have
to start talking about his record against the NFC twenty
four and two.
Speaker 1 (01:48:01):
He's an alien.
Speaker 5 (01:48:02):
There's nothing like Lamar Jackson in the NFL, and these
NFC teams get on the same field with him and
they're like, Holy God, that's different.
Speaker 1 (01:48:10):
It takes a while to adjust and they don't adjust well.
Speaker 5 (01:48:14):
So that's the first part of this is, man, you
better be careful about thinking about fading Lamar and the
Ravens against NFC teams.
Speaker 1 (01:48:22):
That has not worked well over the years.
Speaker 3 (01:48:25):
So this game is interesting to me because look, the
Lions week one look like they looked right. The Lions
in week two were so much better. The reasons didn't
play all that well last week and won by multiple scores.
I mean, I know the numbers for Lamar are what
they are, and part of that is just it's hard
to play against him. And you see him once every
(01:48:46):
four years. Now the schedule is a little different now
with the way that works, but he used to be
once every four years. You'd see the AFC team, right
or the NFC team vice versa. So you just weren't
ready to no matter what they do in practice, just
not ready for a guy like that. That's why his
rushing numbers and whatnot or things I look at in
this game. But what the Lions looked so much better
from Week one to week two. There's no thing they
(01:49:06):
can't come out and run a really good offense like
Buffalo did against the Browns were fine on offense, it
just did turnovers and did dumb things. So there was
a stay away from me crack. I don't really have
a great opinion on what happens here other than I
think both teams should be able to score golf. Outside
is always a little different quarterback, even though he sort
of last season was a little bit better outside than
(01:49:26):
in previous years. But the Lions kind of found, you know,
found those stride last week and I don't really want
to fade them in this game.
Speaker 4 (01:49:33):
Yeah, that's why I was asking Christian. I knew this
would be a big volume night. Of course, most of
the bets the public likes to bet last day, last minute.
That's the reason why, to be real blunt, the books
do so well into that efficient market. Perfect example was
this game opened up six and a half in Vegas
(01:49:54):
literally on Sunday night into Monday morning, and quickly down
to four and a half. You know, a great Monday
night matchup here with two of the best offenses in
the league past few years. This games the highest total week,
opened up fifty and a half, got steamed all the
way up to fifty three. Lions got back at the
form last week, like you said, scoring it will against
the Bears and putting up fifty two points. They'll face
(01:50:16):
a Ravens defense that hasn't looked great against the run
in the first two games, So the Ravens will be
without their most productive pass rushing guy Van Noy, which
is a big loss in my opinion. Lamar Jackson looks
like he's getting more and more comfortable with his his
wide receivers at z A. Flowers spot. I tell you
I really like this kid, How can you not? I mean,
(01:50:38):
but even the other one, even the other one Bateman
each week, real, real comfortable future Hall of Famer DeAndre Hopkins,
a healthy Mark Andrews to the mix, and Lamar finally
has a full set of targets that he's been missing
his whole career. So there should be an exciting game.
Two teams have legit Super Bowl hopes. Many people think
(01:50:59):
that that Baltimore is the best team in the NFL.
It's they're right there, they're right there, So this should
be in this this is but don't be surprised if
they don't lose outright, because Detroit can beat them out right.
We've seen Baltimore just not get the job done and
make crucial mistakes in the fourth quarter over the year.
So we'll see what happens here tonight tomorrow night.
Speaker 1 (01:51:21):
Yeah, and you look at this Lions running game.
Speaker 5 (01:51:25):
Based on what you said about the Ravens, you know,
leaky rush defense, crack, what do you think about the
Lions running it on Baltimore? Because Week one they did
nothing against the Packers twenty two carries for forty six yards.
That's brutal, two point one per rush, two point one
and then last week they ran all over the Bears right,
thirty three attempts for a bucks seventy seven two touchdowns.
(01:51:47):
That's nearly a six you know, a six yard average
per rush. So it was nothing week one against the Packers,
it was really good last week against the Bears. How
well do you think the Lions run it tomorrow?
Speaker 4 (01:52:00):
Isn't that amazing? If Brown you're saying this like, was
it because of the Packers great defense? Run defense? Or
then you go into Chicago, Chicago that bad of a
run defense. You just don't You just don't know. And
week three will show you a little bit more because
you know, you start questioning yourself the overreaction from week
one to week two. You know what many people said,
(01:52:20):
I knew the lines were gonna be bad this year.
They're terrible, and then they put up fifty two points.
You know, people are so fickle week to week. So
this is a very good point. You bring up, though,
what kind of a running game do they have? And
was just a matter of Green Bay's defense being so
good Chicago being so bad? Is there a median range
like what happens tonight tomorrow? It'll be again and listen,
(01:52:44):
I'm looking forward to watch this game. I'm not saying
I have a side that I absolutely love, but if anything,
I'm on I believe it or not. You're gonna be
shocked to hear this because of this points for it
went down so much. I'm on the Ravens.
Speaker 1 (01:52:56):
Yeah, I love the Ravens in this bay.
Speaker 4 (01:52:59):
And that's that. And that's all that nice, all that
big speech and the everything, and I love love and lock.
I'm dead.
Speaker 1 (01:53:09):
No, I didn't say lock.
Speaker 4 (01:53:11):
I don't know. You know that better.
Speaker 1 (01:53:13):
Yeah, love is much more mild than you know.
Speaker 4 (01:53:17):
Locking.
Speaker 1 (01:53:17):
Oh man, it's no one's.
Speaker 4 (01:53:19):
Allowed to say that around me, you know that, right. Yeah,
if someone says this is a lock, or the game's
going on and they say, oh, this is this is
a lock, like you're up by ten, this is good,
You're good now, Oh my god, I believe Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:53:32):
I'll just tell you, Greg, I love the Ravens because
they just have more ways to win this game like that.
Speaker 1 (01:53:37):
That's the bottom line.
Speaker 4 (01:53:38):
It's you. I was being funny, No, I got you.
Speaker 5 (01:53:40):
It's the Lion's rush, the rushing game, rushing attack. I
don't think you can trust it right now. And if
they don't have it functioning and they don't have the
full play action Arsenal Jared Goff facing a pass rush
I know van Ney is out, but they still have
dudes that can get after the passer. Like think of
(01:54:02):
Lamar facing a pass or he's just gonna run right
out of there, you know what I mean, he's gonna
create you're almost at a disadvantage sometimes with a good
pass rush. Jared Goff completely different quarterback facing pressure, and
I think he's gonna face a decent amount on Monday
night on the road against the Ravens. By the way,
real fast, just thirty seconds. How dumb is the WNBA?
Speaker 4 (01:54:22):
Can we do?
Speaker 5 (01:54:23):
You can just devote thirty seconds to this? So they
didn't play yesterday, they don't play tomorrow. They're like, why
don't we play two playoff games today?
Speaker 1 (01:54:31):
In an NFL Sunday?
Speaker 5 (01:54:32):
Why don't we just Hey, let's have the first game
fever Aces at three pm, so that means the one
pm the East Coast games. They'll be really getting good
right there, you know, like we're two hours in and
then let's go with Mercury Links at five pm. So
those four o'clock games, they're just getting going, Like, let's
let's schedule our two games.
Speaker 1 (01:54:52):
What are you doing?
Speaker 3 (01:54:54):
They find Caitlin Clark toon at dollars, because she commented
on Instagram post saying like it's us first rafts or
something like that. They find her, not only they find
her two hundred dollars, Like wow, that itself is embarrassing
if you're gonna find someone, like, can you find them
a little bit of money?
Speaker 4 (01:55:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:55:14):
Right, that's how little they make. You gotta find two
hundred dollars for embarrassing Like what's the NFL find for
fifty grand? They could find coaches for embarrassing the re
officials publicly like whatever, two hundred dollars? Two hundred dollars
that Fever win. By the way, this is an amamac
of the w Barre dream up five two thirty left
(01:55:34):
on score for the final two thirty at home. It's
just incredibly weirdly.
Speaker 1 (01:55:39):
It's the beginning of the semis. You know, it's a
new round. Let's have it on Monday at the very.
Speaker 5 (01:55:44):

Speaker 3 (01:57:40):
All right, don't have a lot of time herees, I'll
just list him out. I like the Titans plus six,
that's now six. Yeah, gimme the Pats plus one, Eagles
minus three and a half, ol To Houston plus one
and a half, and Denver plus two and a half.
Speaker 5 (01:57:56):
Denver plus two and a half. All right, well, I
want to fade your last pick. I'm gonna go Chargers
minus two and a half. I'll agree with you on Philly.
Give me Philly minus the three and a half.
Speaker 4 (01:58:07):
Crack.
Speaker 5 (01:58:07):
I love Baltimore, give me the minus four and a half.
I love Arizona as well. Give me Arizona. It's sticked down.
I don't love that, but I'll lay the I'll take
the point and a half on the road against Mac Jones.
Speaker 4 (01:58:21):
Actually, okay, all.
Speaker 1 (01:58:22):
Right, you're gonna give that to me, I'll take it.
Speaker 5 (01:58:26):
Wow, I don't see Cleveland and your picks, Jeff, I
don't know Atlanta.
Speaker 1 (01:58:30):
What happened over there?
Speaker 3 (01:58:32):
I don't. I told you no Falcons games.
Speaker 1 (01:58:34):
No Falcons, all right? No Browns?
Speaker 5 (01:58:37):
Huh, Okay, you know what. I'll take the Cowboys. I'll
lay the one on the road. Farris are freaking terrible, and.
Speaker 1 (01:58:47):
I will regret it if the Browns cover and the
Cowboys don't.
Speaker 4 (01:58:51):
But hey, welcome to.
Speaker 1 (01:58:52):
The Crack challenge.
Speaker 4 (01:58:53):
That's why it's so challenging.
Speaker 1 (01:58:55):
All right, Well, let's dive into this. I'm rappid fire,
rapid fire. Okay, Crack. We start with you. What's something
you like?
Speaker 4 (01:59:05):
Okay, let's let's let's go with the Eagles. Hurts over
his longest completion thirty three and a half at bet MGM.
I think they take some deep shots this week if
to not do it in the first two weeks. That's
what I'm hearing out of the camp there. Over longest completion.
Speaker 8 (01:59:21):
I like it.
Speaker 5 (01:59:22):
I like it anticipating that, right, hasn't happened at this point,
could happen today?
Speaker 1 (01:59:26):
Jeff. One thing you want to mention anything?
Speaker 3 (01:59:28):
Murray over rushing. I know we get to crack play
the day here.
Speaker 5 (01:59:31):
Yeah, I'm gonna fade Josh Jacobs Packers running back.
Speaker 1 (01:59:35):
Love that Brown's defense.
Speaker 5 (01:59:37):
I'll go under seventy seven and a half rushing yards
for Josh Jacobs.
Speaker 1 (01:59:41):
I think it's a slobbery knocker. All right, cracksplay of
the day.
Speaker 4 (01:59:44):
Let's do this.
Speaker 2 (01:59:46):
Okay, this is the best play of the day.
Speaker 3 (01:59:50):
All right, Crack, what do you.
Speaker 4 (01:59:53):
Have for us? Well, I know everyone likes to have
like a side or a total, So let's go with
the over Steelers New England over forty four and a half.
And again, you want to bet you know the same
thing on a prop or even more on a prop.
But however, I do like this play over Pittsburgh New Inland.
Speaker 1 (02:00:09):
Okay, alrighty, great stuff. Week three.
Speaker 5 (02:00:14):
All set, got everything laid out for you, good to go.
