Speaker 4 (01:18):
All right, we've got action going on today.

Speaker 5 (01:19):
Steelers, as Dan Byer just said, Steelers ahead of the
Vikings seven to three in Dublin. We'll get to that,
but the main news here, Jeff, your ducks. Your Ducks
came through last night overtime thriller against Penn State and
a small game.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
James.

Speaker 5 (01:35):
Yet again, I do a show I do count Down
to Kickoff on Saturdays with two Penn State hanks in
Rich Herenberger and Jared Smith. And man, they're crying in
their beer today. Man, it's another It's another shrinkage and
on a big stage. And I hate for that to
be the headline. But you got to give the Ducks credit.
But you gotta look sideways at Penn State yet again.

Speaker 6 (01:59):
I don't even know if James Franklin came up short.
I think just Drew Aller isn't good and the short
the short might be that you let Drew go to
go to Missouri instead of keeping him. Like I mean,
obviously that game was great. I just thought Orgon was better,
like they were better last night. And deserve is the

(02:21):
wrong word to use, but they deserve to win, right.
I think we agree that. I don't know you feel
bad about Orgon was better last night. They played better.
The atmosphere didn't really get to him. I'm almost done
watching all the offensive film, you know the the game.
I'm in overtime now, and you know it didn't seem
to bother them at all that you know that that

(02:43):
that was They're in this white out and you know
Dante Moore incredible. I dude, I was so locked in.
I watched about zero seconds. So I think the only
player I saw Bama Georgia live or not live, but
like was the was the was the past. It came
and Procter, their left tackle, ran the ball for like

(03:03):
twelve yards. But it's so funny because I'm a very
chill uh sports fan, Like I don't really Organ, I
don't make noises, I don't like but except a couple
of times a year, Organ plays Washington, Organ plays Penn State,
and my wife just endlessly mocks me. It's so funny
that this morning she did this whole routine of like
me walking around the house and and like getting in

(03:24):
my little coaching stance and like staring at the TV.
So look, it was great game.

Speaker 5 (03:30):
Did you turn into a normal fan like that's holding
did you too? Did you yell it out at the time?

Speaker 6 (03:35):
So it's funny, you know what's so funny? So I
thought the officiating was fine last night. I understand people
were upset because, you know, there might have been a
holding call on one of the plays that we got
a big gate on. I actually thought a real time,
the officials did a really bad job of spotting Dante
more on some of the slides and I watched film,
I think they were fine. The only one that I
I just I don't know what targeting is. I don't know.

(03:59):
It didn't matter at the end of the game, but
like I know, they're like, well, he hit him with
like the top of his crown, not the bottom of
his face mask. I'm like what, I hate the targeting role.
I think the targeting rule is terrible. I think it
doesn't count for any sort of game action, you know,
even though I'm playing the penstadium. The guy obviously was
trying to hit him in the midsection. He got tackled,

(04:20):
and as he's going down, he hits him in the head.
I don't know what more because the guy's compressed the back.
I don't know what more you can do. It's targeting.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (04:29):
Whatever you want to as much as you dislike hate
the rule whatever that guy's textable target No, no targeting.
Get in the Bama game, there was a weird one,
and I will tell you as we get to crack
Head a second, Brian, I did love the rundown when
you put like you put Bama, you put like Oregon,
Bama l s U and then like you just wrote
like Irish Win and my dog role. My dog of

(04:52):
the week in Colcho Wall was Arkansas, So that's how
I talked to people with like they are close to
their name. I thought they were to lose, otherwise it
wouldn't made it my dog of the week. But I
thought that that would have been U. C A most
likely who didn't win anyways, but they were much closer.
So uh yeah, good day, good day of ball. I

(05:12):
uh you know, it just was a day of a
ball crack a.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Top of them warning to you guys. Yeah yeah, Jeff
Stucks held on to be Penn State. Uh listen, wise,
guys were on the other side of that game. I
just didn't tell.

Speaker 6 (05:29):
Imagine me sent crack the entire Oregon was like the
most public side of the week. I'm very aware. Okay, yeah, no,
don't don't you know I was like the top seven.
There were seven consensus plays in the the top seven
for the contest, organ was two I think or three
I knew, no, I knew.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
So they blew as seventeen to three fourth quarter lead.
Oregon definitely looked like the better team most of the
game and and helped compose, you know, help they really
did they They actually uh composed themselves a little bit.
And overtime when went in with on a huge interception,
and you know, these games had that playoffs atmosphere already.
It's still only September. Uh, it's been a really exciting

(06:15):
college season so far. How about the Virginia Have about
Virginia Also, crazy double overtime winning against Florida Stay Friday night.
We had a couple of really good uh SEC battles
yesterday Alabama hold them off, Georgia, a late stop Ole
miss now five and oh shutting down l s U's offense. Yeah,

(06:35):
there's been some I tell you what excitements in the
air here really is good stuff.

Speaker 6 (06:40):
The lane train is trying out an old mess. I
wonder where that's gonna Florida maybe, Uh yeah. I think
if if Kenon de Bor lost yesterday, maybe uh maybe.
Isn't so funny in sports, how you know? These these
great teams all have like a mental block with an opponent.
It always feels that way. And obviously Georgia's is Bama

(07:03):
man during the regular season. They beat him in the postseason,
but the regular season they just have this block man
where they just have a lot of trouble with them
and it doesn't really matter what the situation is. Georgia
had had won thirty three straight home games, didn't matter
last night, and Bama just we wrote them off after

(07:25):
that first loss. But it's a long season. Teams get better,
situations get better, and Bama with a really important win.
It's funny because we're now with three week five, and
I think we have two playoff teams right now. Ohio's
in organ like they're in Oregon. Is not gonna lose
two games. Ohio State is not gonna lose maybe a

(07:46):
game this season. That's it, right, Like, that's it, Brian.
I don't think anyone else is in right now besides
those two teams. You know, George is probably fine, but
they could lose another game and it's a question questionable, right, Bam,
that's probably it. I mean there's teams that I think
are in, but the way the schedules work out, Oh, Miami, sorry, MIAMI'SID. Yeah.

(08:06):
So three teams Miami, Oregon, Ohiose that are in in
miam have the best team in the country. I will say,
though I don't know what the numbers. I don't think
it's out yet, but I would be happy to back
Florida States this weekend against Miami. I'll tell you that
after the Florida State loss to Virginia the other day.
But it was started with USC Illinois, right Lincoln Riley.

(08:29):
Year four of a rebuild, still rebuilding, everyone still doing it,
same same USC team, different year, man. And I'll tell
you what I I chickened out yesterday. I have I
have to. I have to admit I chickened out. I
took Illinois first half, I covered should taken a full game,
perfect opportunity. And guys, Brian, my my biggest chicken of yesterday.

(08:53):
I knew Iowa, iowe was the right side and I
chickened out. I chickened out, man, I knew it was
the right side for I played that game for fifteen years,
or not fifty years, I mean gambling for seven years.
I played that game for seven years in a row
at Iowa. Indiana big win goes to Iowa, chickened out,
and that It was interesting because the number was maybe

(09:13):
the best of the week, was at seven. At at
one point, Indiana's up seven and Mendoza takes a forty
yard safety to end the game. I don't know why
you shouldn't fall down after ten yards the game was over.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
He ran the risk of like a strip sack.

Speaker 6 (09:27):
Yeah, I know. I don't think that was supposed to think.
We work on those plays, right, I take a safety,
all that stuff, and I don't know if you saw
that game crack but Indiana was Yeah, but Indiana. So
India's up seven. Now again the number was mostly not
seven all week seven and a half. The contest number
was seven and a half. And they're up seven twenty thirteen,
trying to run the clock out. One more play left

(09:49):
and they're click to forty and Mendoza takes to snap
the quarterback and runs all the way back in the
zone for a safety, so they lose. They went by
five twenty to fifteen, and Indiana was the wrong side
all game, by the way, so you covered you got
kind of got lucky there, but uh yeah, that might
takeaways were that college football is crazy, man, Like, It's
just that was a college ball weekend.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
Miama Florida given six next week. By the way, guys,
fuck my favorite over Florida.

Speaker 6 (10:15):
Say oh, I like Florida State probably by the way.

Speaker 5 (10:17):
You know how h Russell Wilson, who's been demoted. You
know how Russell Wilson is like the quarterback cliche guy.
You know, like he'll say things that he thinks people
want to hear from a quarterback. I'll tell you what,
he's got an apprentice. That is IU quarterback Fernando Mendoza.
I don't know if you heard him after the game
against Iowa and perhaps to IU they got to win.

(10:40):
You talk about like the walking spitting image of a
Russell Wilson clone. That is Fernando Mendoza. It's like, well,
you know, we're happy to get a win here. We
gave one hundred and ten percent and the guys we
just looked each other in the eyes and we said
not today, guys. It's just like, oh, my gosh, can
you just please you got it?

Speaker 4 (10:59):
You gotta go. I can hear it. I'm telling you.
It's like top shelf.

Speaker 6 (11:02):
Yeah, I oh, top shelf. But the Steelers, who's that?
Who's that? DK? Metcalf is what he does best? Right here?
D's score, isn't it?

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Wow?

Speaker 6 (11:11):
Fourteen fourteen to three? Oh I I I'm faded someone
today who's on the vikings? So I have some Steelers
plus two and a half. But yesterday I sent both
of you guys this. You guys know this. The Voice
put out colgere ball plays and normally the Voice put

(11:31):
out colfort ball plays, but they bragged about the record
last week. So I was like, you know what, all right, Well,
I don't fade the voice culturable plays. The Voice is
okay in college football, not bad enough to fade NFL
really bad. And so I did it. I put them
all together, all six of them, all sides in a
round robin parlay the voice wenth and six.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
So it really is. I mean, just just when you
think the Voice is out of the out of the show,
and now you're saying round robin, the actually round robin
pays a ton. Did you have like three threes fours,
five and six or what did you know?

Speaker 6 (12:06):
I just did fours?

Speaker 3 (12:08):
Okay, wow, six geez.

Speaker 6 (12:11):
There's no like actual rhyme or reason to how I
do the parlays crack, I wish. I I just was like,
here's what I'm willing to risk. I put it in
and was like, Okay, here's what I'm willing to risk
for this parlay, and so I put it was two
twenty five five dollars yep, and I won. I won
two and a half. I won a twenty five hundred.
So they was like, I was like, I'm in. I'm in.

(12:32):
I mean, like, it's just it's so dumb, Like how
dumb is this? I just saw someone who's terrible at
gambling brag about their record last week, and I'm like,
there's no way you're going to do it again this week,
and they did.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Now when I went six oh and six, do you
know how hard it is to go owen six? Guys,
It's harder to go own six than this six and
l because you're actually supposedly doing research on these teams.

Speaker 6 (12:54):
They weren't even close by the way either. There was
not one game they had Georgia Tech that won by
five there were seventy half point dogs. Cuse who plus
five would have Duke won by what Brian four touchdowns.
I don't even know what the final score was. Was
even close, I mean, weren't even close.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
Let me ask you, because I think it's an anti
voice weekend. Please let us and the listeners know what
the voice is on. If you find out before these
tip offs today kick off.

Speaker 6 (13:21):
Well, yeah, we the bartenders already up. The Bartender is
on the Chargers.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
Out of the bartend last week, one.

Speaker 6 (13:27):
In one, Bartenders four and four this year.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
Okay, so but these are people we bet against, by
the way.

Speaker 6 (13:34):
Yeah out there, Yeah, the Bartender against these people as
much as they actually do like the Chargers. But I
took the Giants plus six and a half to fade
the Bartender, and then the Bartender took the Ravens. I'm
so pumped. I get to bet on the Chiefs.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
Yeah, there was a couple threes last night, the three dogs.

Speaker 6 (13:50):
I got three. I got three nights of the Bartender's picked.
So those are just phades. By the way, I might
come in and pick the Chargers for the crack Challenge.
I don't know. I'm just telling you, Like what I'm
what I'm fading today.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
All right, Well, if you find the voices picture I'm
looking right now, it's an anti voice weekend. You can't
go oh and six and have a winning Sunday. So
and yeah, like I always say people out there, it's
just as good to find a losing handicapper as a
winning handicapper. The Voice, even with tomorrow's newspaper, has ruined

(14:20):
more people's lives than anybody. So we go against the voice,
uh constantly and uh you know, but however, last year
the Voice actually had their you know, an ok ye
didn't kill anything. But no, uh, you know, but a
loser is a loser unless the Voice had assistance. Sounds

(14:40):
like after an O and six there's no assistance there, Brian.

Speaker 6 (14:43):
I do think some of these people are using AI
to help them.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
Wonderful, wonderful let them, that's.

Speaker 6 (14:50):
My guess, because there's a lot of them that just
you They have a bunch of trends and stats and
stuff that just gobblygok like it's just like it doesn't
mean anything, and then you just regurgitate that base of
what AI tells them.

Speaker 3 (15:01):
You said the right word gobbled book, because listen, I
know a lot of things pushing this AI and and
just like they were pushing analytics departments and all the
teams and stuff. Listen, there's still a guts and and
you know right down there in grit feel you have
to know certain things yet injuries, whether momentum, there's so

(15:23):
many things that AI cannot put into the equation of
spinning out a number. So I just I'm not all
about that whole AI, just like I am not. Yes,
analytics does come into the game, I understand, but not
as much as they thought in the beginning when they
were hiring four or five guys every team for analytics departments,
which now some of them have literally disbanded their whole

(15:46):
entire analytics department. But there is still certain things that
mathematically are the right thing to do. Analytical Why so
pretty interesting?

Speaker 4 (15:55):
All right, we're often running.

Speaker 5 (15:56):

Speaker 4 (18:23):
Bete. That's right.

Speaker 5 (18:26):
We've got a live action going on in Ireland. As
Krag said top of the morning, he started off in
Ireland fashion like that. We've got Pittsburgh. It's doing their thing.
They're up fourteen to three. They just got an interception
on Carson Wentz. This is a crazy thing, man. If
you look at the Steelers' numbers, you know, like defensively
some of their offensive numbers, they're freaking hideous. And yet

(18:50):
this is a game that's just like when the Steelers
have a winning record at the end of the year,
you're like and you're like, how did they.

Speaker 4 (18:56):
Get a winning record? Again? It's a game like today.

Speaker 5 (19:00):
He's a game like today against the Vikings, and Carson
Wentz is some thing.

Speaker 6 (19:03):
Man.

Speaker 5 (19:04):
Now his numbers look worse with that interception just now,
but he was perfect before that. I think it was
eight for eight or nine for nine. Actually it was
eleven for eleven before that interception. But it's like, if
you're watching this game, he looks way worse than those
numbers would indicate.

Speaker 4 (19:21):
He's just not seeing the field.

Speaker 5 (19:22):
They had maybe a walk in touchdown on their field
goal drive. He had Justin Jefferson wide open on this
pass drive. Didn't see the guy. Now he just threw
an interception. But that's the thing, man, Sometimes box score
analysis you're not getting a true you know, the true
story with how Carson Wentz looks today by just looking
at the at the box score. But now he's thrown

(19:45):
an interception. It looks more accurate now. But freaking Steelers again,
despite the numbers here, they are in a great position
to win another game.

Speaker 6 (19:54):
Well, last week I was on New England and I
believe Krack gave out the over for the Patriots and
Steelers game on the show. It might have been in
the parlay platter. Yeah, And what did New England proceed
to do?

Speaker 3 (20:10):
Oh my god.

Speaker 6 (20:11):
They threw an interception in the end zone. The next
drive they fumbled in the end zone. That was two
of five turnovers they had and they still almost won
the game. Pittsburgh won twenty one fourteen I almost, by
the way, cost me the over in usc Illinois yesterday
with Illinois twice to the same exact thing fumbled on

(20:32):
the goal line, and one of them was even a fumble.
I don't know why they ruled the fumble. But nonetheless,
every year, Brian, every stinking year. Man, it's the same
thing over again with uh with pitchers who we just
booked right now, you can wager on them to lose
in the wildcard round? Of course, should just do that?
Should we just do that now? Just like preemptively, just
be like, you get better number, now you get a

(20:54):
big plus number wild card loss. Pittsrid Gears think about
this too. We're gonna talk abot game Ravens cheets at
some point today. If the Ravens lose today, okay, the
series will be up two games on Baltimore if the
Bengals win tomorrow, which I think is not gonna happen,
but they If they do win tomorrow and the Ravens
lose today, the Bengals are two games up on the

(21:17):
Baltimore Ravens. So I mean, Pittsburgh's right where they want
to be, and they just, man, they're just yunking up dude,
they just it's just.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
I mean, it's too much. It might be too much
pressure on this kid, Wentz. And you know, I say kid,
he's a veteran. I mean, his Irish heritage dates back
all the way to Dublin. And he's there in front
of family and come on, man, you had a big
chance to wait.

Speaker 6 (21:42):
Wait is it a talking point that he's back in
front of family.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
Yes, I've seen it during the week, like he has,
you know, his heritage and his family. He got some
the cousins he hasn't seen in years.

Speaker 6 (21:52):
And does he know that he plays for is wearing
white today not black? I mean, does he might know
that was that interception was was pretty bad.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
Wow, it's a pressure. But are we talking about the
live point of the of the game, because I didn't
know we were gonna actually do that.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
Yeah, but are you looking now, right now.

Speaker 3 (22:10):
Right at I BETEMGM right now Steelers minus seven and
a half, minus a quarter total looks like it's back
down to forty one and a half. I'm not watching
the game, guys, but something must have just happened that
made I thought it went from forty five down to
forty one and a half. So obviously Pittsburgh was maybe
going in and something happened.

Speaker 6 (22:30):
Or it's just first and right now it's all I see.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
Where they have.

Speaker 4 (22:34):
You know, they're at the minus forty two.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
Yeah, okay, wow, that's still I'm surprised they're back to
pre flop total here. Uh. Anyway, my thing is to
look at a line when and think about what the
public's looking at. The publics say wow this Pittsburgh. I
knew they were gonna do good today they're over there
and and Minnesota looks terrible. And right away you could
see now it went to eight and a half at

(23:00):
bet MGM. That's one thing about the live lines. They
go around like crazy. Now there's the only the only
eight and a half out there is bet MGM. Lots
of seven and a half's and you know, you guys
know me, I'm betting the dog if anything. There's no
bet on a favorite to me in this situation. But
it's really tough because you're on a TV delay. So
whatever sportsbook you're you know, you're betting with it. They

(23:22):
depends on how their software is. But you're on a
TV delay. Now you're across the pond. Let's call it's
not really across it's Ireland. But I don't know. It
could be a minute delay. So I need to bet
during a commercial if I'm betting at all on this situation,
and I'm only betting the dog in this situation, if

(23:43):
I'm even betting at all.

Speaker 6 (23:44):
So two things catch my attention here for live wagering.
So Caleb Johnson's plus six hundred to anytime touchdown score.
He's the backup running back for Pittsburgh today with worn
out and obviously you know if they get near the
goal line, he's a little bigger back than gain Well,
I could see him getting the ball there. That's an

(24:06):
option as well. And BUTEW doesn't have this up now.
I don't know if they're going to but if you
can find a pass attempts over for Carson Wentz, if
they're down seventeen to three, he's got to pass the ball.
The problem is he gets sacked a ton, so like
you might, you might not end up. They might end

(24:27):
up getting home. But I think that that that's a
possibility as well. But the Caleb Johnson touchdown one interests me.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (24:39):
Yeah, there's a personal file on the Vikings. It's faster
for the Vikings so far. Maybe you know, this is
a big drive in terms of, you know, impacting player props,
and if the Steelers put more points on the board,
that's definitely going to affect things because if they score
a touchdown, it's a three possession game. I'd look at

(24:59):
Jordan May, who looks good at times, but if we're
down by three possessions. It's still in this first half,
but I'm starting to look under fifty eight and a half,
rushing yards might be a play.

Speaker 6 (25:10):
But they know, like they know these books, like I
rush yards right now for Pittsburgh, I love to take
Catub Johnson over as the backup running back.

Speaker 4 (25:21):
He locked.

Speaker 6 (25:22):
You know that it's locked. You know I like those
plays right where I like taking the backup running back
in a blowout essentially because I think that that player
gets a lot of touches the end of the games.
So it's locked right now. Unfortunately, I think.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
Guys, what they're talking about by being locked, this is
bet MGM live. You could bet the rushing yards by
each player, and they have most of them up. Johnson's
locked and Rogers is locked, but most of the players
they do have up. So that's what their guys are
talking about here live betting, live rushing yards. This is
this is nothing but early morning action. Wow, I do this.

Speaker 6 (26:00):
I do this though for for games that are blowouts,
like I take, I try to take the running back
as I mentioned, like the back of running back over
or the past attempts is something I do do. Crack up.
I see like I took Dak last week and that
they were behind Baber. He had to take a lot
of passes. He'll actually The thing with Carson Wentz though,
is he holds the ball forever. He might actually throw
the ball.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
That's what I like it is, Jeff, I tell you
what I never heard you talk about this. Probably the
backup running back over. I like that. I like that
now that I feel that the starting quarterback it's baked
in the line and they're going to make you this
you know, you know. But however, very interesting about the
backup running back. That's very That's probably why it's off

(26:40):
the board too.

Speaker 6 (26:41):
Yeah, and I think after they end this drive they'll
probably put it up. But I see fifteen and a
half on another place that again, you can't wager on it.
It's down, but it does feel like an opportunity to
get in here also, you aget if we're doing this
justin Jefferson over receiving yards, you know, just like needing,

(27:04):
you know, to end up with with a lot of
you know, a lot of the yards in this game,
right if.

Speaker 4 (27:09):
He's a focal point already, they targeted him a ton
and that.

Speaker 6 (27:12):
Yeah, that that again, These are all things I probably
wouldn't do as much if I'm just not watching the game.
But as Aaron Rodgers gets into the right fumbled, Oh wow,
big big fellow caught it. Rogerick Jones tackle got.

Speaker 5 (27:26):
The ball col Steelers game man like Rogers fumbles and
it goes straight to an offensive lineman. They retain possession.
It's it's wild right now, all right? Coming up next,
a new era begins as another one dies. And it's
not a new era, but we've got a new guy
with us today. We've got Dan Byer filling in for I.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
Low.

Speaker 4 (27:43):
What's going on, Dan, you know what's going on, guys.

Speaker 9 (27:45):
Isaac's got an early Chargers game, so he's working the
pre game, so I am in with you, guys. It's
also a game where the Steelers actually thought they had
a defensive touchdown, but after review it was called.

Speaker 6 (27:54):
Back that it's been all black and gold in the
land of Green.

Speaker 5 (27:57):
And shotgun is Rogers play action pass looking throws over
the middle of the few last.

Speaker 10 (28:01):
Metcalp open head on the run, Craft crosses the forty
five mid deal across the forty, the thirty the twenty
yard line to fifteen, picks.

Speaker 6 (28:09):
Up a block and run those into the inss and
Thattcap goes eighty yards for the score.

Speaker 9 (28:15):
That's how it sounded on one point two point five
w DVE of the Steelers radio network Pittsburgh. On top
of the Vikings fourteen to three as they're at the
two minute warning in.

Speaker 6 (28:24):
The first half.

Speaker 9 (28:25):
Steelers quarterback Scaler Thompson that is reportedly jumped and robbed
while in Dublin on Friday night, suffering minor injuries. Thompson's
currently on injured reserve not because of those injuries, but
the NFL network says the Steelers and NFL are gathering
more information on the alleged incident. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell
did tell the NFL Network this morning the league hopes
to play sixteen international games per season, with each team

(28:47):
in the league playing an international game A couple of
injury notes. Rams wide receiver DeVante Adams expected to play
against the Colts. Niners should have both wide receivers Ricky
Piersall and Juwan Jennings against the Jaguars, but ESPN reports
Jennings could be on a Snapcot Panthers running back Cuba
Hubbard and wide receiver Tet McMillan they're going to go
against the Patriots today, while Bears running back DeAndre Swift
should be able to play against the Raiders. Ravens ten

(29:08):
and as Al likely should make his season debut today
in Kansas City against the Chiefs. Final day of the
regular season of Major League Baseball, all games starting just
after three o'clock Eastern, Tom Reds and Matt's battling for
the final wild card in the National League. In the
American League, these six playoff teams are set, but the
division races in the AL East and AL Central still
up for grabs, and at the Ryder Cup singles matches

(29:30):
getting underway at twelve o'clock Eastern time, Europe leads the
US eleven and a half to four and a half
heading into the matches. It's the largest lead after two
days for either side from the modern history of the event.
Europe needs just fourteen points to retain the Cup. Guys,
back to you, Thank you Dan.

Speaker 5 (29:46):

(30:08):
We've got the Chargers at the Giants today and the
Jackson Dart era begins. Huh first start for the rookie
Jackson Dart as Russell Wilson. The Russell Wilson era is over,
at least in New York and probably league wide. And
it's crazy, man, Like, if you would have told me

(30:29):
it would have turned out like this for Russ when
he was traded to the Broncos, And think about how
much of a blockbuster trade that was. It was three
players and like five higher draft picks for the guy,
and he fizzled in Denver and then it just went
here there he's here he's getting a bull of soup
with this team, and now he's out of there. Now
he's with this new team, and he started three games

(30:51):
and now he's been demoted.

Speaker 4 (30:53):
It's been I.

Speaker 5 (30:55):
Never would have believed that it would have turned out
like this post Seahawks for Russell Wilson. But here we
are but a lot of excitement. A lot of people
are high on Jackson darts. Of course you look great
in the preseason. A lot of that is against backup,
so we'll see today against the Chargers who are off
to a great start.

Speaker 6 (31:11):
So a couple of reasons that this had to be done.
So go back to that Chiefs game Giants game Sunday night.
There was that red zone possession where I think it's
one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my
life from a quarterback who no one's open on first down.
It's a terrible call. It's like all sticks, they just
run and turn around. It was a terrible play called.

(31:32):
Russell Wilson's in the middle of the field, maybe he's
on the right hash he throws the ball up the
left tunnel, like twenty five yards up the tunnel. If
you were working in that tunnel, security guard. You might
have got hit in the face with the football, probably
the first time ever, Jesus. Next play quarterback draw, Okay,
dumb play call didn't work after the grounding, by the way.

(31:56):
Third play they run routes only outside the hash marks.
No one's open. He throws the ball should have been
grounding again in the stands, right right over the goalpost.
Fourth down play, hits the goalpost with the throw. You're like,
and so he had to go because look, you just
can't roll that out there anymore. You just I know

(32:17):
they have a timeline for when he needed to play,
and I imagine Game four wasn't it against San Diego
Los Angeles. But there's no confidence in Russell Wilson. You
have to do something else otherwise you lose the locker
room quite honestly, right, you lose the offense. But this
is really gonna this matters for the Giants. I'll tell
you what it is. The ownership for the team. The

(32:40):
principal owners. Their job is the New York Giants. It's
not like, you know, the Hunts who live in Dallas,
like their primary job is not the Chiefs, right, like
they're you know, their primary job they own the Giant
like that's what they do. They're there in the facility
every day, that's their job. They don't want to be
booed at home, and running Wilson Wilson out there today

(33:00):
would have led to massive booze in MetLife Stadium. And
I'm not saying they went to Brian Dables like you
better play him. I don't want to get booed, but
I know that matters to them, and I really think
that that that played a role in this discussion. Like,
hey man, again, I don't think they went to Brian
Dable and said you must bench Russell Wilson. But Brian
Dieble knows. It's a very prideful ownership group. They don't

(33:23):
want that stadium to be booing Russell Wilson. The entire
game is gonna go well today, Probably not, but the
Chargers are due for Maybe it's the charge offense been
okay last couple of weeks has been as good. I
like the Giants defensive line, this matchup against the Chargers'
offensive line. There's some reasons why this might be close. Dart.
I would imagine, you know, if you're looking for you know,
props today and we'll get obviously up to props in

(33:44):
a little bit, you know, any rushing props for for Dart,
I think that carries probably not, but I think what's
his rush? It's receiving yards, rushing yards today.

Speaker 4 (33:53):
Three and a half, I think thirty two and a half.

Speaker 6 (33:55):
It's kind of a lot. Yeah, they're already thinking, like
I am with with that as well. Maybe I'm hereous
what rush attempts are. The website is kind of like
it's hard to find everything sounds high for because because
people like me are like like Schmo's are like, oh yeah,
of course he's gonna run the ball, like you know,
like they're like, you know, like they're trying to pry

(34:17):
on people like me. Russi attempts six and a half
plus one ten. Oh, the Vikers just blocked another kick.
How about that? We go tons of kicks block last
week and now they block another one?

Speaker 3 (34:29):
Wow?

Speaker 4 (34:29):
Is that crazy? I love the NFL so much?

Speaker 5 (34:32):
Right we're talking about, Hey, if the Steelers score, it's
a three possession game, Well, guess what if it's after
the black field goal? If the Vikings hit points on
this driver back to a one, yeah, imagine.

Speaker 6 (34:43):
That they will not put up Caleb Johnson's rushing number.
They just refuse to put it up, refuse to put
it up. I keep looking. It's it's they should they
should put up.

Speaker 3 (34:54):
Now I'm surprised they didn't put it up. They're listening
to It's.

Speaker 6 (34:57):
Still, it's still still. Christian's listening. He's like, I'm I'm
not humping schworts out. I'm not giving him fourteen and
a half yards. But now again no, But here's the
thing though, I'll tell you this. Now, this is sort
of a game again. Probably a bad wager. They're up
twenty one to three. Better wager or in fourteen three, right,
because like maybe I got saved. This happened yesterday too,
in a college game. I wanted to take a prop

(35:18):
for a running back on Stanford. Couldn't get it and
he didn't get over. So I was like, oh glad,
I'm glad no one gave it to me. So maybe
it's a busting the sky's cracker. Crack's laughing at me, Brian.

Speaker 3 (35:28):
I'm laughing because Brian Jeff called himself as Schmo. I
love that. I was crying, Oh, I make it makes you.

Speaker 6 (35:36):
I make lots of Smo bets it's okay, it's all
about bank roll Management's.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
All right, that's right. It's like so listen, we got
three and oho ver so and three two teams moving
in two different directions for sure. Just just last week,
we were talking about Russell Wilson looking good for the
Giants and holding out to that starting quarterback job. With
his play, I believe going into last week he might
have been like the leading passer yards wise. That's because

(36:01):
he had the four hundred and fifty yards in the game,
though that didn't last long for the coach guy, Jeff.
We're gonna say quickly, the.

Speaker 6 (36:08):
Guy who blocked the kick is Isaiah Rodgers, who scored
twice last week in the Vikings.

Speaker 4 (36:12):
Oh, unbelievable week he had. That was crazy what he did.

Speaker 6 (36:15):
He scored off he a pick six, crack called an
interception to the house. Then he forced a fumble, the
peat up, punch picked it up, he ran it for
a touchdown, and now he blocked the kick.

Speaker 3 (36:26):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (36:27):
Yeah, yeah, he's Giants the first player in NFL history
with a pick six, a fumble return for a touchdown,
and two forced fumbles in a game.

Speaker 4 (36:35):
He did that all in the first half, all of
it's crazy what he did.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
But go ahead, Crack Now, I'm just saying, the Giants
a major problem has been in that red zone. They're
they're hoping to insert the younger, more mobile Dart and hopefully,
you know, he can help get the ball in the
end zone instead of set up for field goals and
Chargers defense playing went out Mack again today. He was
suspected to miss a few more weeks with the injury.
The Chargers offensive line beat up a little bit, which

(36:59):
could be a problem. That's the Giants, you know, defense.
I listen, I'm hoping they do. Okay, if New York
can keep justin Herbert, pressureize and uh, you know, pressure
and uncomfortable, they really have a chance to keep this
one closed. I'm actually rooting for the Giants today. There
you go.

Speaker 5 (37:13):
We've got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz, eight
year NFL veteran. I'm Brian.

Speaker 3 (37:19):
No.

on another under. It is Fox Sports Radios Campdown to
Kickoff presented by BETMGM. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown

Vikings were driving. Nice pass to Justin Jefferson, could have
been a touchdown. It's wide opening zone coverage, just lost
his feet. All you had to do was make a

(38:22):
linebacker miss and it's six. But it didn't work out.
Third and twelve incomplete pass the Vikings trying to add
three points before halftime.

Speaker 4 (38:32):
Here, all right, let's get to the platter. Let's do this,
check this out far late latter. All right, man, it
was a rough one last week.

Speaker 5 (38:42):
We're so close, but the freaking Steelers with their five takeaways,
they actually ended up winning the game. Jeff, you had
the Patriots there. That was the last league we needed.
Not your fault, not your fault at all. I would
actually call this something Stevie ray Vaughn saying about dirty pool.
Right there, they are minus five in the takeaway department

(39:03):
and it's still a one possession game. That's the Patriots
are the right side. Somehow, the Steelers did what the
Steelers do and we came up just short.

Speaker 4 (39:10):
But we rally today. We'll start with you, Crack, what's
something you like?

Speaker 3 (39:15):
Well, Joe Flacco passing yards? If they don't bention today, No,
but I shouldn't say that. This line is just way
too low. I don't think we'll be benched though. Flacco
over MGM two hundred twenty five passing yards. That's my
portion of the platter. Flacco over to twenty five and

(39:36):
a half cuts.

Speaker 6 (39:38):
Flacco over after three weeks of fading flat though, we're
going over today. Okay, Crack, yeah, I see I see
you there Okay, I will go with I'm gonna I'm
gonna move the Rams from three and a half to
two and a half. Brian, So I want the Rams
here for the parlay platter at the minus two and
a half. Like it's a cult. I think the Colts

(40:00):
run comes to a grinding halt today in Los Angeles.

Speaker 5 (40:04):
Okay, I'll throw it in the parlane. Let you know,
get back to you in a second. I'm gonna go
with another under. It's a staple of mind here in
the in the pladder here to start up twenty twenty five.
I've given you an under every single time, and they've
hit every single week.

Speaker 4 (40:17):
I'm gonna roll.

Speaker 5 (40:19):
I'm targeting this Commander's Falcons game under forty three and
a half. We got Mariota in there. Know, Jayden Daniels,
he got a lot of injuries with the Commanders, not
just Jayden Daniels. Terry mclaurin's out there banged up. Offensively,
and if you look defensively, facts playing pretty good defense,
certainly good pass defense, number one in the league.

Speaker 4 (40:42):
And I look they got shut out last week.

Speaker 5 (40:44):
I don't expect them to be pushing the ball down
the field, throwing it deep left and right. That's been
a very safe offense with Pennix Junior, So I think
it's a bit of a glinder. Today, I'm gonna take
under forty three and a half with the Commanders and Falcons.
Let me let me get this Rams leg in there,
and I'll tell you about the payout here.

Speaker 4 (41:03):
So you go down to two and a half? Hun
jef okay, no, why not a little bit?

Speaker 6 (41:08):
I would take three, but they don't do like Evans.

Speaker 5 (41:12):
Yeah, okay, well they do have let's see they have
three available if you owed that. Yeah, okay, we got
Rams minus three yeah, minus the dollar thirty Okay, so
all three legs combined plus five thirty one?

Speaker 3 (41:28):
Not bad?

Speaker 2 (41:29):
Not bad?

Speaker 4 (41:30):
You know a little more than five to one right there?

Speaker 3 (41:32):
Pretty good? All right?

Speaker 5 (41:33):
Come it up next, one of the best matchups of
the day. And this team has the other team's number.

Speaker 4 (41:40):
Oh what is going on? Happy week?

Speaker 5 (41:41):
Four two years we get the table all set for
the ball buffet. Today we will get to a team
that has alligator blood. You love all that crack, right,
you love the the rounders references right there?

Speaker 3 (41:54):
Hey.

Speaker 4 (41:54):
Throughout the entire football.

Speaker 5 (41:55):
Season, bet MGM will offer all different types of no
sweat tokens and odds boosts. Be on the lookout for
no sweat same game parlay tokens, parlay boost tokens, and
so much more. That would be your Philadelphia Eagles somehow
three and oh. They're taking on the three and oh
Tampa Bay Bucks today. And man, how about Philly last
week again with Alligator Blood. They were down twenty six

(42:19):
to seven and they still not only won, they somehow
covered the three and a half point spread, blocked a
kick in the final seconds, and then Jordan Davis picks
it up, scores a touchdown. They cover the spread in
miraculous or horrifying fashion, depending on which side you were on.

Speaker 4 (42:35):
But man, Philly is right for the pick.

Speaker 5 (42:38):
And man, you look at what they've done. They could
be ozing three right now. They beat the Chiefs. That
was their best win of the year on the road.
It's like Drew Brees said this week, He's like, if
Ceedee Lamb catches a post route, Philly loses that game.

Speaker 4 (42:51):
They would have lost at home to the Cowboys.

Speaker 5 (42:53):
This is what the Eagles have done so at Tampa,
a team that they've struggled against the last couple of
seasons and very recently Tampa seems to have their numbers.
So upset alert today in Tampa, I feel.

Speaker 6 (43:06):
Like I think it's absolutely upset alert.

Speaker 3 (43:10):
You know, the.

Speaker 6 (43:13):
The dumbest people when it comes talking about wagering. Had
a field day with Jordan Davis last week where you know,
of course big fellows just trying to score a touchdown.
He's not thinking about the points spread, and just the
dumbest people, imaginable, we're making this way way more than
it had to be. It was a bad beat obviously
if you ended up on the rams there, but you know,

(43:34):
he just he's just trying to block a kick man
and then he's trying to score because why not, he's.

Speaker 4 (43:37):
A bit What were they saying though, Jeff, They're like,
it's a conspiracy. It was something, No, it was more.

Speaker 6 (43:43):
About they were talking about that this invites more questions
about gambling, the NFL is involved gambling when it doesn't
at all. Actually no, no, no, with that, No, of
course not. But it's the same conspiracy people that always
talking that just to don't how to cover gambling. And
you know, it's a bad beat, certainly one of the
worst ever, which is funny. I was on Philly, and

(44:06):
I should have covered two other games and didn't, and
I covered that game, which is the funniest thing. You know,
that's just the way it works, right, so you know,
just this that's the way it works. But nonetheless, you know,
I Tampa Bay, they get some offensive linemen back, even
though they do lose Mike Evans, and this is a

(44:26):
tough match up for Philly all the time, supposed to
one hundre degrees in Tampa Bay today they're right for
a loss. The trench matchup in this one. You know,
there's just a lot of evenness when it comes to
the trenches here. I think it's why it's always close
against against Philly. So, uh, I am a worried crack.

(44:47):
The number hasn't moved at all this week. Uh, they're
just that three and a half out there for you,
and it feels like like, why is it not moved
at all? And it just it just hasn't. But I uh,
I'm fine backing the bucks here.

Speaker 3 (45:05):
Yeah, I'm just looking at the I'm actually looking at
the line because you know, they the lines for week one,
two and three, they've been up at some of the
bigger sports books. However, The lines have been up all
year long at two sports books, and yeah they had
this at two and a half, but that quickly disappeared though,

(45:26):
and it went went to three and that now three
and a half, and it's been pretty solid. Three and
a half here right, really hasn't changed, so we get
I'm gonna call this a heavyweight battle to two three
and oh team square and off. What could be a
it could be a preview of a playoff of playoff football.
I mean, most people think about the offense when you
talk about the Bucks, but it's their defense that has

(45:47):
gotten into three and oh start this season. Tampa has
eight sacks already in three in the first three games.
They will have to get their hurts today, obviously, if
they want to knock off the Eagles. Philly is a
perfect one hundred percent touchdown rate in the red zone
so far this year. Amazing. They just don't settle our
field goals.

Speaker 2 (46:04):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (46:05):
They also have an explosive play capability with a J.
Brown Barkley. Just look at these two names, so it's
not surprising they lead the league in points averaging like
almost twenty six points a game, while the Eagles have
been the also the best like I said, Red Zones, ya,
I should say the Bucks have been one of the worst,
with only a forty four percent touchdown rate, so this

(46:26):
should be one of the best games of the day.
I actually expect this to be more of a defensive battle.
I bet the early the early, early in the week.
I met the under on this game, and you know,
you said, guy said, it's one hundred degrees down there,
and situationally, the beginning Brian spot on this is this.
This team could be zero to three, this Eagle team.
So it's amazing if you go, if you talk to anyone,

(46:49):
you know in Philadelphia, though, are you crazy? Of course
we're three, and oh we're supposed to be three. I
mean people at the game last week. Imagine me and
in South Philly at the game and you're you're, you're
laying the points and and and this happens, and uh,
you know, of course people are conspiracy theories thinking, oh,
this is fixed, this is why the NFL. It's just

(47:12):
a situable. Trust me. I had a large bet on
the Rams in that game. I have plus four and
a half plus four even plus plus three and a
half a little bit, and uh, it was one of
my bigger bets of the season. And I was clearly
on the right side until I was on the wrong
side because it's the NFL. Any given Sunday, anything couldn't
will will happen. And and uh, now that I realize

(47:34):
the Schwartz Syndicate bet against me.

Speaker 6 (47:36):
I no, no, it was in the Crack Challenge.

Speaker 3 (47:39):
Oh I don't you bet?

Speaker 6 (47:42):
He said, no, no, no, it was a Crack challenge.

Speaker 3 (47:45):
No, I don't guarantee actual right bet against me with
his Eagles.

Speaker 6 (47:48):
Probably, No, No, the Crack Challenge.

Speaker 3 (47:51):
I think.

Speaker 6 (47:51):
I think I've mentioned this before, like.

Speaker 3 (47:54):
That goes by the lines on Sundays, I get it.

Speaker 6 (47:56):
No, No, I just I just betten far or less
NFL sides by the week.

Speaker 3 (48:02):
That's smart.

Speaker 6 (48:03):
It just like college football for you, fin Well, you
talked before you talked to me about about like you know,
unit size on I was basically better in the same
unit size on every NFL wager. I may You're like, no, no, no, no,
don't do that right, And I just it just is
not as much fun, and you you lose these games

(48:25):
and they're just it just feels impossible. So I do
less and lessing.

Speaker 3 (48:30):
That really is good, good for you. It's hard to
do that. That's the fun thing is the sides. I
get it, especially sending you last night, sending you all
those props. You must have been like, oh my god,
it's like eleven at night, I got twenty props. And
then this morning that I wake up to got everything in.

Speaker 6 (48:45):
I was like, wow, I just have to watch props.
But I have to wait for the organs. I have
to wait organ to get I have to wait to
organ to win last night before I hit any of those,
so uh it, uh you know, we'll see it. Just
the organ had to finish first. There was no way
I was doing anything else besides besides.

Speaker 3 (49:01):
Oh no, that's that's what you said. Because the way
we worded it, I'm like, is Jeff at a gamelessly?
I didn't. I should have known there was Penn State Oregon,
And yeah, no it. You realize that it's much easier
betting into the prop market, And I always say it.
You can go to any any casino in town. Of course,

(49:21):
I'll use MGM, and right now go up to the
counter and see how much money you can bet on
a player prop compared to a NFL side. I want
the Eagles sir, how much money is in your backpack?
Dumb out? Whatever you got, you got a million bucks,
will take it? You want to You wanna bet Carson
wentz over under you? You want to bet one of
these guys props five hundred bucks. And that's every casino though,
every casino. That's how efficient the NFL side market is.

(49:44):
Yet even my people that follow me and and and
demand things off me, they want sides. So I actually
do send out sides of a winning guy that I'm
involved in that actually beat sides the last three years
and we're losing this year. We're down a couple of units.

Speaker 6 (49:59):
So one side that they lose.

Speaker 3 (50:02):
Oh, they that's because it's the biggest thing on TV.
You get the roof for a side. It's hard to
root for props and hopefully he gets the hand. But
think about it. The good point, Jeff, why is it
so hard to root for someone to be handed the
ball or whatever. You just hope he gets the ball
if you have over his yards, or you hope he
doesn't he goes under and you don't he doesn't get

(50:24):
the ball, or he's out of the game, or you know.
So it's it's really easy for me I know that
every single media source, every single you know media and
I'm not only media source, every single social media site.
People that follow the game, they're all over the teams,
they're all over. This is a very efficient line, especially

(50:44):
on Sunday. And that's why the Crack challenge is so tough.
It's so tough to pick five games against the spread
the day of the game. Not only day of the game,
how about five minutes before some of the games start.
But every sports book in America, we know they're all
lined up there. Everyone's betting last minute. They don't even
know who they want. They're online because they know it's
a big line. Let me get in and they make

(51:05):
their decision when they're on the line. The public has
no chance beating NFL sides betting the online five minutes
before the game goes off.

Speaker 4 (51:17):
By the way, a couple of things here. I don't
like this at all, but the Tush push. This is
probably the last year of the Toush Push.

Speaker 3 (51:24):
Oh really yeah, it's the last year probably voted.

Speaker 5 (51:27):
Well, I'm just saying, like forecasting crack, it's if you
look at what happened last week was important. So yeah,
you heard all in the off season like, well, the
injury issues, It's like, where are the injuries?

Speaker 4 (51:38):
Where are they?

Speaker 5 (51:39):
Well, we finally have one lane Johnson had a next stinger,
so put that in your back pocket. For the people
that say, oh, it's an injury thing, it's like, well,
we do have one two point two now. And then
also there was this emphasis on calling fall start penalties
like don't let the eagle, Yeah, don't let them move
before the snap. And you saw a guard move before

(52:01):
the snap, they didn't call it. And now all of
a sudden, if it's like, okay, there's emphasis on calling this.
You can't have false start penalties that go uncalled. And
it happened right after the new emphasis. So this is
going away. I hate it, but it's going away.

Speaker 6 (52:16):
It is going away, even though again like other teams
run it, they don't have the same success. That's right.
It is in is way going away.

Speaker 5 (52:25):
It's too bad because it's like dominance shouldn't be the
reason why a play goes away, like he go agree
and everybody else, but they can't.

Speaker 6 (52:33):
But I think to Brian, like you hear the officials
that they can't. They don't how to officiate this play.
And I understand it is probably pretty hard if you're
writing a line of scrimmage to really really tell someone
outside or not.

Speaker 4 (52:48):
Yeah, you don't have a slow motion camera, right, yeah.

Speaker 6 (52:51):
Correct. So I give them the grace of that, but
I understand the frustration that we have as fans with
that play. Even though I'm with you, I would not
eliminate the play.

Speaker 5 (53:01):
Yeah, one other thing I wanted to mention to you guys.
So Baker Mayfield obviously involved in this game against the Eagles.
Remember last week, So the Tampa beat the Jets, and
he said, yeah, well they're decoordinator. He's the one who
cut me in Carolina, remember that lay. So it was
Steve Wilkes. He was the interim head coach with the

(53:24):
Panthers a couple of years ago when Baker Mayfield was there.
Right now he's with the New York Jets, And so
Steve Wilkes said something after that, you know, like they're like, hey,
what's up with that, Steve, what's going on here? And
so he gave Baker his dozen or roses. Right, He's like, oh,
Baker's playing great, He's doing a great job. And then
he was like, you know what, how much power do

(53:44):
you think an interim head coach has you think I
was just cutting guys left and right, like it's just
not a true story. And what he said was it
was a mutual agreement between the two sides, and Baker
actually asked for his release because he learned he wouldn't
be the star or the backup moving forward in Carolina.

(54:04):
That just blows up think about where Baker Mayfield's career was.
The Carolina Panthers were left, that's right, yo, You're not
only gonna be the You're not gonna be the starter.

Speaker 4 (54:12):
You're not even gonna be the backup.

Speaker 5 (54:14):
And Baker's like, okay, just release me then, please, And
now he's the starter in Tampa. Has completely revived his career.
But that's where he was not that long ago. Carolina
was like, you're not even our backup.

Speaker 6 (54:26):
Yeah, you know, you find obviously a home that trusted
you and believes you. But also look Tampa Bay's offensive line,
Tampa Bay's weapons, like there are things there that obviously
help him and be sessful. But look Baker the way
he plays man, with that fire and passion, like it
is awesome to watch and root for it. Actually, like

(54:46):
that's why I'm happy to be on Tampa day, Like
I want to root for Tampa. I want to watch
Baker Mayfield play the way he does. Brian, you sent
me that text though about Steve Wilkes. Uh, this is
the this is the kiss of death right where he
said it's on me, like why they didn't well on
defense the other day. It's hard for me that that
is like the kiss of death. You know that if

(55:07):
your coach says that you get you're screwed. You're absolutely screwed.
Your coach says that speaking about coaching, very very quickly.
The w n B A I think a serious league, Brian,
I I don't. A coach is suspended today for a
must win game. And I understand she said some things

(55:27):
about the league spend today.

Speaker 5 (55:30):
Yeah, I didn't know that because they're playing a double
header on an NFL Sunday again, which is dumb.

Speaker 6 (55:36):
So the Minnesota Lynk's coach, Shoe reeves her star player
got hurt on a play that's not a foul.

Speaker 5 (55:42):
Obviously it was a foul. It absolutely was a foul,
but it was uncalled. It did not it was not called.

Speaker 6 (55:48):
It's not a once the ball is tipped away. It's
not a foul anymore. It's not like there's now you're
allowed to cheat at knocked the ball away. If fe
runs in you afterwards, that's not that's not a foul.
It's not on it's not on an eighteen. The matter
gets hurt and she ran the court and braided the
officials like it was I've never seen a coach do
this before. I literally ran on the court, h barraid

(56:10):
the officials, got a tea, goes the press conference, says
all these things about how they the the w A
needs to like get rid of the entire officient and
crew over all everything. But you get coaches have said
in different sports suspended for the game. They're like, no,
you're out of here, not coaching today in a must
win game for the Lens.

Speaker 4 (56:28):
No, she was suspended, Yeah, they suspended her.

Speaker 6 (56:30):
Just an unserious and unserious sport, an un serious ownership.
Like it's just it's bad.

Speaker 5 (56:36):
Yeah, Wow, that's that's insane right there. I didn't realize
that the dumb league gets dumber. You shouldn't be blaming
a double header on an NFL sun Thanks, thank.

Speaker 3 (56:46):
You for addressing that, Jeff, because one of our loyal listeners.
Peter Devaglio, he also talked to He tagged us to
talk about this, and uh, I didn't know about it,
so just maybe, just like Brian, I didn't know that
the actual suspend. I didn't know that, so bright sit Jewish.

Speaker 6 (57:01):
Do you think it was a foul?

Speaker 4 (57:03):
Absolutely? You can't run through someone, I understand.

Speaker 6 (57:07):
If the ball is tipped away, I believe you can.

Speaker 5 (57:09):
Though she's running through the girl to tip the ball away,
but she didn't touch her till the ball was out.

Speaker 6 (57:15):
I think. I think if the ball is out of
her hand, it's like it's an O'Connor, it's like oopsie,
like they ran ery. And the only reason they're upset
because she got hurt. Right, if she doesn't get hurt,
no one cares. But she got hurt. And that's the
thing that really bummed everyone out. Again, it sucks, obviously.
I might have placed a future on the links anyways, though,
because I think they're gonna win today and then all right,

(57:37):
game five, we'll see what happens if they've won without
her for two weeks. They did, right, Yeah in Phoenix,
we know, and like every team in this league is
very up and down.

Speaker 4 (57:44):
So who knows huh interesting stuff.

Speaker 5 (57:47):
I'd watched this beginning to end, but I won't see
a play with NFL games going on today.

Speaker 4 (57:52):
It's graazy, right, but I kind of got bik.

Speaker 5 (57:55):

Speaker 5 (59:13):
We welcome in our good friend, Christian Sippolini, senior trading
manager with BETMGM. Good morning to you, Ris Krak said,
top of the morning to you.

Speaker 3 (59:22):
Right, Christian. Yeah, out to Ireland.

Speaker 5 (59:24):
By the way, how much action did you see on
this early window game Viking Steelers compared to say, like
a normal one pm Eastern kicktime.

Speaker 1 (59:34):
Yeah, this actually was.

Speaker 2 (59:36):
A pretty good turn off for a game that I
didn't really expect much. And you always got to assume
in these early one or international starts, just one at Ireland,
you know, you miss a ton of the West Coast
action because the game just starts so early. But this
was close to em par is almost like a prime
time game. It did a lot better than a lot
of the one o'clock will end up doing.

Speaker 6 (59:57):
The big game of AFC today, Chiefs, Ravens are curious
what you're seeing so far. You know, people can look
at this game and think like it's a must win
for basically both teams. You know, what are you looking
at for handling this one? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
Yeah, this is the biggest surprise to me on the
slate by far. I expected pretty close to fifty to
fifty action on this and we have been getting significantly
more Ravens action, up to seventy five, almost eighty percent
of the best that we're taking so far on the Ravens.
And yeah, that is stunning to me. I really didn't
expect to see that.

Speaker 3 (01:00:34):
Let's let me ask you something, Christian, what do you think? Well,
I shouldn't say what do you think? What is your
biggest sides today? You would need tell the public what
all the public's betting on. And I'm sure tonight you're
going to probably need Dallas in the primetime game, but
any other things stand out?

Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
Yeah, I was prepping for this. I thought this is
actually a pretty interesting week, just something that we don't
generally sees. We have a ton of games that we're
getting like pretty close to fifty to fifty action, you know,
on a normal slate, wind up getting seven to eight
games where we have over seventy five action on one side,
and we really don't have that today for whatever reason.

(01:01:15):
Just I guess more of a balance to day. So
only a couple of games where we really have big
leans and big positions on the one I mentioned, of course,
is that Raven Chiefs game. We'll see as we get
closer to kickoff, if that evens out at all, but
that will certainly be one of our big needs. Browns
at Lions not taking a ton of Browns action even
though they upset last week, still significantly more Lions action.

Speaker 1 (01:01:36):
So that's that's.

Speaker 2 (01:01:37):
Another side that we'll definitely need. And then in tonight's game,
of course, as you mentioned, Dallas is the side that
we will certainly be rooting for tonight.

Speaker 5 (01:01:45):
How about this Tampa game hosting the Eagles, The line
really hasn't moved, its stayed there throughout most of the week,
where the Eagles are favored by three and a half,
a line that's just staying there. What's the action look like,
what's the breakdown as far as that goes.

Speaker 2 (01:02:00):
Yeah, yeah, And similar to what I said, it's actually
been a week where there's been actually pretty little line movement,
you know, in comparison to a general week. In this
Eagles game is one of that that really hasn't moved much.
We've been sitting at three and a half for a
while and it must be the correct number because we're
taking pretty close to fifty to fifty actions. So real,
no lean in this game at this point, but that's

(01:02:22):
a lot of games in this late so far.

Speaker 6 (01:02:26):
This game right now, by the way, is like wild
in Ireland. It's like just acts, fumbles, like just just
just absolute absolute madness.

Speaker 4 (01:02:35):
Such a Steelers game.

Speaker 6 (01:02:36):
I don't understand why the Patriots are faired by five
and a half today. What am I missing in this game?

Speaker 1 (01:02:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:02:48):
I mean I think there's two that I think the
line is pretty interesting. I think that Patriots five and
a half is definitely one of those Panthers did look
a little bit better. And the other one that I
think is an interesting line is oh and three tight
at oh and three Texans, where the Texans are seven
point favorites. I feel like you don't see that very
often to win the seams or one teams a full
touchdown dog. But yeah, back to that Panthers game, we're

(01:03:12):
taking a little bit more Patriots money. Not significant, but yeah,
I am with you there where That's one that I
do feel like is a bit inflated versus what we've
seen so far. The Patriots really haven't showed you much
to prove why they should be five and a half
point favorites today.

Speaker 3 (01:03:27):
Yeah, Christian, I'm surprised to hear you say, like, no
big standout games, lots of fifty to fifty action. Is
it just week four and you know compared to Week one,
is just no significant team Actually, Like I would still
think you got to be heavy on Detroit over there
with all your Michigan action. Am I correct?

Speaker 2 (01:03:48):
Yeah, Detroit is one of the ones that we do
have significant action on. But like I'll point to the
bill Saints gave us one that also I find interesting.
Usually anytime we get a double jus it spread like this,
you know, we have a pretty significant lean where whereas
we're not getting anybody to bet in Orleans money line.
The spread though is still pretty close to fifty to

(01:04:08):
fifty from what we've been taking. This is one of
the games that has moved a little bit. The bills
were bigger favorites. It's been kind of all morning. It's
been slowly creeping back towards fourteen, but still taking pretty
even money there, which generally is in something we see
usually in big spreads like that. It's all on the favorite.

Speaker 3 (01:04:27):
And I also have a second thing, you know, I've
been promoting on all my socials that Thursday night one
O five at BETMGM has one O five juice on
sides one O two. They go to like they cut
that in half, the one O five at an hour
before game time. How has that been doing for you? Like,
I would think it's so difficult, even though it's an
efficient market, I would think it's so difficult to deal

(01:04:50):
to one O two juice. How have you guys been
fair and so far with that?

Speaker 2 (01:04:55):
Yeah, yeah, it's starting to the words starting to get around.
So we've definitely seen signif eificant lead more handle on
our Thursday games versus other ones. So that's, you know,
good to see if it is really is a great promo,
you know, there there is no uh you know, we
we kind of allow all bets from that minus one
O two, so you know you can get pretty good
action down on it. And yes, it does become difficult

(01:05:17):
to trade, especially when we get around key numbers and
we're trying to or if we have a game where
you know, we do have more of a povision that
we're we're trying to lean towards you know, one O two.
You know, there's not much we can do at that point.

Speaker 3 (01:05:30):
So just kind of let you have one this Thursday,
Ram Sam fram three. You guys have one. That's gonna
be it's gonna be tough to manage, so we'll see
what happens.

Speaker 2 (01:05:41):
Yeah, and especially if that starts bouncing back and forth
in between the key number. Uh yeah, it'll be difficult,
but it is what it is, you know. Just try
to let let the chips.

Speaker 3 (01:05:50):
Forward they may well.

Speaker 4 (01:05:51):
Thanks Christian, always great to catch up with you man.
Have a great week four and we'll see you soon.

Speaker 2 (01:05:57):
Yeah, good luck to everybody this week.

Speaker 3 (01:05:59):
Thank you. There.

Speaker 5 (01:05:59):
He is risch Gian Sippolini, Senior trading manager at BEDMGM.
Good stuff, all right, the breakdowns continue coming up next.
These guys looked bad enough and now they look even worse.
But first, though, we've got Dan Bayer with the latest.

Speaker 9 (01:06:15):
Going on, Dan, guys, Now much has changed in Dublin
except Carson Wentz just throwing another interception around midfield, pressured
ball ended up in the hands of TJ Watt, and
now Pittsburgh's got a deep in Vikings territory, first and
ten in Minnesota's twenty yard line. It's a fourteen to
six Steelers lead four minutes to go in the third quarter.
DK Metcalf caught an eighty r touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers.

(01:06:37):
In the first half, Metcalf four catches one hundred and
twenty two yards and that score. One other note from
this Dublin game, Steelers quarterback Skyler Thompson suffered minor injuries
after he was allegedly jumped and robbed while in Dublin
on Friday night. NFL Network says the Steelers and league
are gathering more information on the alleged incident. NFL Commissioner

(01:07:01):
Roger Goodell did tell the NFL Network this morning the
league hopes to play sixteen international games per season, with
each team in the league playing an international game at
some point during their season. Rams wide receiver DeVonta Adams
expected to play against the Colts today. Commanders will have
running back to Corey Krossky Merritt against the Falcons. Panthers
running back Chuba Hubbard and Teed McMillan good to go

(01:07:22):
against New England. Baseball's regular season wraps up today. In
the National League, Reds and Mets battling for that final
wild card. Reds all the tiebreaker they face the Brewers. Today,
Mets take on the Marlins.

Speaker 3 (01:07:33):
Now.

Speaker 9 (01:07:34):
All games will start just after three o'clock Eastern time.
In the American League, these six playoff teams are set. However,
the champions of the AL East and AL Central have
to be decided. Yet, Jays have the tie breaker over
the Yankees. Guardians have the tie breaker over the Tigers.
In the Central and Royder Cup singles matches get underway
coming up at noon Eastern time. But there's already news
that Victor Hovlin from Team Europe had to withdraw because

(01:07:56):
of a neck injury, so he will not play his
match against Harris Ing. The rules of the Ryder Cups
say that that matches now haved, so each team gained
a half a point without even playing. You're upleading the
Americans now twelve to five with those matches getting underway
again just after noon Eastern guys.

Speaker 4 (01:08:12):
Back to you, Thank you Dad.

Speaker 5 (01:08:13):

Steelers marching. It's funny. Our Trust producer Bo Benson. He's
over there in La his feed. I swear it's like
a week ahead of my feed. He's way ahead.

Speaker 3 (01:08:47):
Man. Bryan's correct our Vegas feed. I don't have him
to the line yet. On first and goal. That goes
to show you, guys, and you're saying touchdown. That goes
to show you, guys, how do you bet live? Well,
this is unbelievable. We don't. We're not even in the
end zone.

Speaker 4 (01:09:03):
By the way.

Speaker 5 (01:09:04):
By the way, they put the score on the wrong side.
They gave it to the Vikings on the score bug.
They're like, they're only down. It's like now, actually they
are down by a lot more than that.

Speaker 7 (01:09:15):
You know.

Speaker 6 (01:09:15):
What's interesting is that I had a buddy last night
at the PennState Organ game and he was texting me.
He was on the press box WiFi so he could
text me during the game, and he was giving updates
about plays before I saw them. Oh wow, yeah, like
like there was a fumble that Organ had, that fumble
that was overturned, which I I guess he was down.

Speaker 9 (01:09:34):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:09:35):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (01:09:36):
I like, sure, whatever you say he's down, I'm not
going to say no. And he texted me before he's like,
I'm like, I'm like, good rit, it's man like what
I think I used different words than that when he fumbled,
and he's like, don't worry, it's it got overturned. And
I was like, okay, whatever you say in that. And
then it was you know, on TV a little bit,
you know, because TV obviously is behind a little bit.
It was lo and behold it was overturned. Upon review,

(01:10:00):
I I I that was Brian. I guess he was down.
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:10:06):
Man, I don't take it as a close one. Right there,
We've got the Colts at the Rams, Rams favored by
three and a half. Good matchup. Interesting with the Colts.
Right there are two ways to look at this team.
Where you look at him three games in there three
and Ozero obviously exceeding expectations.

Speaker 4 (01:10:22):
Daniel Jones is playing great.

Speaker 5 (01:10:24):
They're top ten in passing, offense, rushing offense, pass defense,
rush defense top ten and everything. And then you look
to fine print. They've beaten the Dolphins, Broncos, Titans. Those
teams are combined one in eight. But one thing I
do know, the resurgence of Daniel Jones. This made a
couple of people look bad. It makes Anthony Richardson look

(01:10:45):
really bad because it's been a disaster with him.

Speaker 4 (01:10:47):
With the Colts.

Speaker 5 (01:10:48):
I think it makes Brian Dabole look bad to a degree,
like what is that he had Daniel Jones in New
York for years they never did anything and now all
of a sudden boom, you get him with Shane Steik
and he's producing like crazies. So a couple of guys
I don't think look good in this Daniel Jones resurgence here.

Speaker 6 (01:11:05):
I Uh, it's it's awesome to see, but I think
today comes to a crashing halt. Okay, yeah, I the
Rams obviously are going to be better after last weekend,
the way that game, the way the game ended, So
they're gonna lead today. They're gonna keep trying to pour
it on, right, They're not gonna slow. I'm not going

(01:11:26):
to stop. And you mentioned yesterday earlier, thirty seconds ago, Brian,
this is not the Dolphins, it's not the it's not
the Titans. It's a team that is Super Bowl aspirations.
They might not get there, but Super aspirations and the Rams.
The Rams owe us a cover this week too, So
that's also important to note here as well. Of course

(01:11:46):
that's not the why'm cambell on the game, but this
is a side I do have in this that I
actually have put money on, because I do think that
the Rams are gonna win this game by a touchdown
or more. And you ever get games you're close NFL.
There was around touchdown at some point. But I think
this is a game where the Rams control line scrimmage,

(01:12:08):
they get after Daniel Jones a little bit. That's one
thing too. Jones has not been pressured I mean, he's
not been faced a team that can really pressure him.
There are a lot of times, you know, when things
are going well, yeah, look, finally Carson wentz today, right Like,
when he's pressured, it looks a lot worse. The vik
has just almost took the kickoff back after the sender
of scoring a flag on the field ever backing, So yeah, right,

(01:12:29):
like as soon as the likes do do something, well penalty?
Uh did did the ball not landing in the landing
zone correctly? How about that at the landing zoning the
other night time?

Speaker 4 (01:12:38):
That's crazy?

Speaker 6 (01:12:39):
That was college right, well, no, it was, yeah, what
was it?

Speaker 3 (01:12:44):
It was?

Speaker 5 (01:12:44):
It was the NFL game. It was the Seahawks and
Arizona football, Yes, Chess Arizona. They tied it up, and
the ball lands at like the twenty and a half and.

Speaker 4 (01:12:53):
They're like, not in the loading zone. They get the
ball at the forty. They're like the forty.

Speaker 6 (01:12:57):
Holy cow, that's a side again. Where I was on
c that game right up twenty to six, just cruising
along and then it's tied to twenty. You're like, why
do I bet on this sport?

Speaker 3 (01:13:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:13:07):
Why do I do this? And they end up covering,
but like why why why would I do this? Why
would bother doing this? But Crack loves it so much.
I'm just like so like because I'm just like, it's
just like like you up twenty to six, you're cruising
nothing all its twenty twenty.

Speaker 5 (01:13:22):
By the way side, real side, quick side rant. I
hate these teams. Seattle did it on Thursday. I hate
these teams that need one first down to end the
game and they're like, let's get conservative.

Speaker 4 (01:13:36):
Let's like, let's just run it. Let's not do anything.

Speaker 6 (01:13:38):
You're risky.

Speaker 5 (01:13:39):
Run your offense, dude, run your freaking offense. Instead of
being like conservative to a fault. We always talk about
what is it like prevent defense? We need prevent offense
because that's what a lot of teams do. They don't
run their normal offense. Just run your normal offense, get
a first down and the game. Do what Dan Campbell did.
He's going forward on fourth and two and getting I

(01:14:00):
wish these teams would be more aggressive offensively.

Speaker 3 (01:14:03):
Yeah, guys, let me give you a couple words about
the Colts Rams after this Rams broke my heart last week.
God Colts of the surprise team at three and zero
this season, and up against their biggest tests so far
this week. Like you guys said, Daniel Jones played great
football for his new team, but the Rams d will
be at it would be a big test today for
the Colts. I kind of agree with Jeff. The Rams

(01:14:27):
are coming off that devastating loss. Like I said to
the Eagles where they blew the eighteen point lead, had
a field goal block return last second, don't won't go
over it again. Matt Stafford took some big hits last
week but still looked one hundred percent, So that's a
great sign for the Rams. The Colts have not pressured
the quarterbacks much in their first three games. That they're

(01:14:47):
gonna need to put pressure on Stafford today and slow
down their pass attack, especially with you know, Pooka Nakua,
Devonte Adams. So that this actually should be at one
of the really good games of the day.

Speaker 4 (01:14:58):
Well, yeah, looking forward to it for sure.

Speaker 5 (01:15:00):
We've got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper, Jeff Schwartz, eight
year NFL veteran, I'm Brian noo shocker, Carson Wentz taking
a sack again.

Speaker 6 (01:15:09):
Yeah, this is a brutal game here.

Speaker 5 (01:15:13):
This isn't just a game It's a once in a
generation event, The Harlem Globetrotters one hundred Year Tour. Come
be a part of a legacy that never stops. Be
there when history is made.

Speaker 4 (01:15:22):
The Harlem Globe Trotters one hundred Year Tour.

Speaker 5 (01:15:24):
Get your tickets today at Harlem Globetrotters dot Com. All right,
coming up next, prop it up the prop betting market.
We compare copious extensive notes. It is Fox Sports Radios
Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Bet MGM. It is Fox
Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Bett MGM.

Speaker 4 (01:15:42):
And it is time for the tire rack play of
the day.

Speaker 6 (01:15:45):
The motion man comes over. Aller gonna throw step back
swings it down. It is interception Oregan pit.

Speaker 10 (01:15:53):
Duck swin duckswin interception by jillen kinamand that means Head
State can't as so the score can. Oregon has ended
it with an interception in the second overtime.

Speaker 5 (01:16:05):
Yeah, compliments of Jerry Allen from lear Field as the Ducks.
Jeff's Ducks get the win in overtime thirty to twenty four.
For over forty years, Tyrak has been helping customers find
the right tires for how, what and where they drive,
shipped fast and free back by free road hazard protection
with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation ti iraq

(01:16:26):
dot com the way tire buying should be. I don't
get the Drew Aller hype. Don't get it. Another costly
interception to lose a game, shocking. He did that at
the end of last season against my Irish.

Speaker 6 (01:16:36):
He did it against Organs. I think I think I
saw the that they've ended. He's ended six games with interception,
like four games of interception, like he that's the in
the last play there, good play bar of safety, but
I mean pretty obvious, you know, the flood concept in
the boundary and he just didn't see him. And that
was did you see Dan Lanning like twitching after the
game too, like he was so fired up? It was

(01:16:59):
it was it's you know, good you don't you know?
Those are tough game. Whiteouts are tough to win. Man
on the road. We only had eight guys that played
in the Rose Bowl on this in this game, so yeah,
I know we have to do the props.

Speaker 4 (01:17:13):
Now, let's do it, by the way, real fast too.

Speaker 5 (01:17:15):
You just made me think of a rant here, real
fast rant you know what's funny is so often fans
will say, I just want the players. I want it
to mean as much to the players as it means
to us, Right, you hear that quite a bit. And
what's funny is Dan Lanning showed and I'm giving him
props like he was completely fired up after the win.

Speaker 4 (01:17:36):
He's he's motioning up to.

Speaker 5 (01:17:37):
People in the stands like, yeah, godts he was throwing
up the oh. And there are a lot of fans
that are just like they care. Don't get me wrong,
but there are a lot of fans that are like,
you know, we get a mulligan. It's it's not the
end of the world. It's twelve teams in the playoff,
you know, shrug your shoulders, shrug it off. And Dan
Lanning didn't show that at all. So I think that

(01:17:58):
sometimes the fans are becoming what they dislike. They're becoming
more passive instead of like, really fired up about these games.
College football landscape has changed.

Speaker 6 (01:18:09):
So anyway, Dan Lennon gave that throat slicing gesture after
they went up to seventeen to three women bat if
they lost that game.

Speaker 4 (01:18:15):
After he did that, I'll tell you that he's.

Speaker 3 (01:18:18):
In cold takes right, They guys just to go back
to this live game that's on. You guys have brought
this up multiple times, and this Steelers team every year
just shocks me how they go over their win total
by a game. Like last year, I was down into Florida.
I found the great line before anybody else. I mean,
just every year they really do. They absolutely shock you

(01:18:41):
how this Steelers team. I just thought, what Rogers coming
over there, they were going to be a mess. And
I'm wrong. I'm wrong. They're probably going to go over
their win total.

Speaker 4 (01:18:48):
But they probably will.

Speaker 5 (01:18:49):
They'll find a way, probably plus five in the turnover
department and one by a touchdown.

Speaker 6 (01:18:54):
I mean even today they're plus two again in the
turnover department. And by the way, Camp Johnson, I told
do that.

Speaker 4 (01:19:00):
I know it was nice the nine yard rush.

Speaker 6 (01:19:02):
It was like fifteen and a half, but it was dark,
like you couldn't press the wager on it. Yeah, twelve
yards rushing. He's basically it's two more carries and he'll
be over. So I wouldn't. I mean, it's stone up.
They won't. They won't put it up.

Speaker 4 (01:19:13):
Yeah, we'll put it up. Let's get to the Props.
Let's do this, drop it up player plays all right, crack,
give us something that you like.

Speaker 3 (01:19:23):
I actually really like this one, guys. So the Patriots,
let's go to Henderson over receiving yards. Yeah, I bet MGM.
It's over fourteen and a half. Trayvon Henderson over fourteen
and a half receiving yards. Yep, that's it. I think
he's gonna be involved as a pass catcher this week.
Guess what I'm hearing. So a rare over that I
really like.

Speaker 6 (01:19:42):
So let's go over on here this receiving yards, right,
Baker Mayfield over sixteen and a half rushing yards. He
has rushed the ball a lot this year because the
offensive line is not as good, and I think you'd
look at the Eagles in the way they rush the passer.
I just don't need to win this game for Tampa Bay.
I think Baker will have to run the ball a
little bit. I've over sixteen and a half rushing yards
for him.

Speaker 5 (01:20:02):
By the way, I saw something, and I'm agreeing with you, Jeff.
This kind of underscores what you're saying right there. We
don't all know Jalen Hurts rushes the ball quite a
bit right. So Jalen hurts this season, he's averaging thirty
nine rushing yards per game. How about Baker Mayfield thirty
eight point seven? Yeah, right there, right neck and deck

(01:20:22):
with Jaylen.

Speaker 3 (01:20:23):
You have to do.

Speaker 6 (01:20:23):
I think it has to do with the idea that
that they that like he's just the offensive line is
feeling it's tough.

Speaker 3 (01:20:31):
Right.

Speaker 5 (01:20:31):
They get Tristan Wurf's back today. I believe they do
think he's gonna play. So that's a big deal. All right,
it might be a little bit risky. You guys want
to live on the wild side here just a little bit.

Speaker 4 (01:20:40):
How about this. Feel free to disagree with me.

Speaker 5 (01:20:43):
I'm gonna take to not throw an interception tomorrow night
against the Jets.

Speaker 4 (01:20:49):
Wow, now here's the thinking.

Speaker 5 (01:20:51):
He only averages six point four air yards per attempt.
He's throwing a lot of short stuff. Now he's thrown
interceptions throwing short stuff. Get the patriotsy through one against
the Bills last week, so.

Speaker 4 (01:21:03):
It can happen.

Speaker 5 (01:21:04):
The chances aren't as great. They just don't have an
interception this season. I don't think he's gonna throw a
pick every single game. I'll take the under point five
on two interceptions right there.

Speaker 4 (01:21:14):
All right, we roll forward.

Speaker 5 (01:21:16):
Oh, welcome in Happy Sunday, Happy week four to you
as we roll forward. Steelers up twenty four to six
right now in Dublin over the Vikings. Hey, which team
has been a bigger disappointment? That comes away in just
a couple of seconds all season long? Bet, MGM's offering
you a second chance on your first touchdown bet. When

(01:21:37):
a customer places a wager on a first touchdown score
bet and he doesn't score first, but score second, bet
MGM will return one hundred percent of their stakeback in cash.
All right, We've got the Ravens at the Chiefs today,
Chiefs home underdog, two and a half point home underdog.

(01:21:57):
First off? Which team has been a bigger disappointment? Is
it the Ravens or is it the Chiefs? I think
it's the Ravens.

Speaker 4 (01:22:03):
By Miles, It's not to say the Chiefs haven't been disappointing.

Speaker 11 (01:22:07):
They have been.

Speaker 5 (01:22:08):
But you haven't had Xavier Worthy they get him back today,
haven't had Rashi Rice. You got a couple of things
to consider. The Ravens had a fifteen point lead with
four minutes to go against Buffalo and lost somehow Derek
Henry's had these fumbling issues. They got smacked by the
Lions last week. I think the Ravens have been way

(01:22:28):
more disappointing.

Speaker 4 (01:22:29):
I'll put it this way.

Speaker 5 (01:22:31):
If the Chiefs had a fifteen point lead and lost
the game, we wouldn't shut up about it. We'd still
be talking about that. That's a game that the Ravens
that you just can't afford to lose like that. I
think Baltimore has been more disappointing. You guys, they got
one of the worst defenses in the league, Baltimore. Baltimore
is known for defense. They can't tackle, they can't rush
the pass, or they can't do anything right now defensively.

Speaker 6 (01:22:53):
I think, actually, this is a must win for Baltimore today.
First of all, the Chiefs have won their bowls. If
they peter out this year, like, so be it. But
they won those Super Bowls. Okay, the you know the
the Chiefs, obviously, you know they they haven't played well,

(01:23:15):
but there's hope. Brig Xaveryworthy is back today. She Rice
is back in Week seven. The young offensive line has
played well. They're getting better, you know. The Thornton injection
to the offense changed the offense in the second half
against the Giants, maybe Andy Reid and Travis Kelsey, butty
heads who kind of got Andy Reid on like going
in a different direction. If you know, if Hollywood Brown

(01:23:36):
becomes your fourth target and Travis Kelsey becomes your fifth target,
like you're you're in a good You're much better spall offensively, right,
and we know the Chiefs defense throughout the years has
gotten better throughout the season. Right with Spags they get better.
Baltimore defensively been a trocio. Now they're gonna get some
guys back. But I don't know does that take you?
You know, you allown forty one and thirty eight to
two best teams you played, Brian, if Matta Booget comes back,

(01:23:58):
what that changes you? By how much a touchdown? I
mean that that feels like that's even too much even
think like this too. So my point being like there's
a lot of holes on Baltimore and they don't win today,
it's this sort of wounded Chiefs team. Then when are
theyver gonna be Kansas City? Where they ever gonna do it?
It's now or never. And the thing about the Ravens too,

(01:24:19):
is they're losing by making mistakes they haven't made in
the past, fumbling, bad defense. Like, so to me, there's
just to me, it's it's the it's crack as the Ravens, Raves.
They've got to win this game.

Speaker 3 (01:24:31):
Huh got me, uh perplexed. Here was well, I actually
sent out, uh, Kansas City. I just figured you'd be like, yeah,
crack all right, and uh no, I mean I know,
but listen, you gotta go, you gotta go, but you
make good points you I'm.

Speaker 6 (01:24:48):
Not betting on the Ravens. I'm just saying, like, I
think the Ravens have to win. I don't think they
I don't think they needs good They're gonna win.

Speaker 3 (01:24:55):
Threes have popped up here all over Vegas now, so
there's obviously some Baltimore money coming in from some serious people. Yep,
this three. A couple threes now popping up. Listen, I'm
sure everyone has already heard the narrative on this one.
The loser goes to one in three, which historically gives
them only a twenty three percent chance to make the playoffs.

(01:25:16):
So stopping the run will be the big test for
the Chiefs defense. Like you guys said, Henry's fumbled the
ball once in his last three games, which is the
first three games of the season, and he's looked visibly
upset after that last fumble versus the Lions. He was
really getting down on himself over the Ravens quarterback Lamar
Jackson playing at an elite level, leading the NFL and

(01:25:38):
passer rating so far nine touchdowns, zero interceptions. Wow. Good,
good for him. Jackson always a threat with his legs,
but the biggest surprise is how Maholmes has been using
his legs this season. He actually leads the Chiefs with
one hundred and twenty five rushing guards, which isn't necessarily
a good thing. Like Jeff said, it's bad. K See

(01:26:00):
when need to establish a better run game on Hunt,
they can't.

Speaker 6 (01:26:02):
The problem is that they're running back stink. They need
They need Smith, They need the young kid to be
able to play. The problem is look, hunts old, he
is what he is, but check us off a foot
injury and also wasn't a very explosive runner like good
and short bursts. But they need someone to just again

(01:26:23):
right now, they sort of just at times look like
they just run and fall down. They need someone they
can break you know they have this these numbers crack,
you know, rush yards over expected. Essentially they're they're the
Russians are expected or minus. They're minus. They get hit
and fall down. Not good.

Speaker 3 (01:26:41):
So these guys are just old and wounded. Is that
what you're saying? A little bit? Yes?

Speaker 6 (01:26:45):
And then couple that, is there a back smith. They're
have a rookie who they I think they hope, but
he you know, read like most coaches, doesn't play with
a lot of rookies at times. But also need to
get under center on the football too, which they did
really well as the Giants. And there two opportun as
they did the entire game, uh third or four by
the way, I think Pittsburgh's gonna cover guys. So I

(01:27:05):
gotta fade here.

Speaker 3 (01:27:06):
You gotta I gotta got a good good show, any think.

Speaker 6 (01:27:09):
I look again? Like the thing about the fades is
a lot of times I'm like, oh, I don't want
to I really don't want to play the fade, but
like you just sort of like someone else, someone else
going on here, And I only again, I only fade
them with sides like not props. But this is like,

(01:27:29):
you know, just yeah, I saw, can you.

Speaker 3 (01:27:32):
Give us any before we go off their if you
could find anything that this after this voice had this terrible.

Speaker 6 (01:27:38):
I've looked, I haven't found I haven't found no voice.
So NFL Rangers yet.

Speaker 3 (01:27:42):
And six yesterday. I love betting against people like this
that just have a terrible weekend, and we know historically
the voice is just just killed.

Speaker 4 (01:27:49):
I know by the way, uh Jalen Ramsey beaten for
a touchdown, looks.

Speaker 6 (01:27:54):
Like, yeah, I think it's in. Yeah, I think he
was in.

Speaker 4 (01:27:58):
Yeah, yeah, he's in.

Speaker 3 (01:27:59):
There.

Speaker 4 (01:27:59):
We go, so we Viking get a little bit closer.
How much time you need?

Speaker 6 (01:28:03):
We need some more, We need some We need one more.
We need a Hawkinson one more catching a few more
yards from TJ and this this last have one more drive,
I would imagine for the Vikings here, So that would
be uh'd be quite nice. That's what we need, huh
I would I would appreciate it, Yeah, I would appreciate it.
Go for two here or they have to they're down twelve?

Speaker 5 (01:28:21):
Yeah, would you do it here? I wouldn't do it yet,
it's a psychological thing. You're down twelve. I'd keep it
a two possession game. I'd kick down was he was
he in bounce.

Speaker 6 (01:28:33):
Yeah he was so. Now, well, now it's a ten
point game.

Speaker 4 (01:28:36):
That's good.

Speaker 5 (01:28:37):
I mean, hey, great, they got it. But he gets
too risky. I would have kicked it, keep it eleven.
You know, you're within two possessions. I know you got
to go for two at some point. But if you
miss it there, you're down twelve. You're only halfway there,
down twenty four to twelve. You know, like I don't know,
I'm always thinking psychologically. You know, you got to think
like that every now and then.

Speaker 4 (01:28:56):
How about the Bears against the Raiders.

Speaker 5 (01:28:59):
I'm waiting for the the the the limo to pick
me up here crack in case you're going to see
the Raiders game.

Speaker 3 (01:29:05):
But are they even home? Are the homeless week? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:29:07):
They're homeless one.

Speaker 5 (01:29:09):
Yeah, Bears at the Raiders. Raiders favored by a point
and a half. This line is fluctuated throughout the week, right,
Like Bears favored a little bit, now the Raiders favored here.
And how about this Caleb Williams four touchdown passes last week.
Now it was against the Cowboys, but four touchdown passes.

Speaker 4 (01:29:24):
This is what I thought.

Speaker 5 (01:29:25):
You guys, tell me if you're on board or not
but I think that we always talk about the Batman
Robin thing. We normally do that with basketball, like who's Batman,
who's Robin? Who plays the like supportive role.

Speaker 3 (01:29:38):
I think that.

Speaker 5 (01:29:38):
Happens with quarterbacks too. I think there are a lot
of games where you just need your quarterback to be Robin.
Just manage the game, don't turn it over, make sound decisions,
let's move the chains. So it was nice that that
Caleb Williams had a Batman type game through four touchdown passes,
but the Bears don't need that every single week. And
I think this is the growth Caleb Williams is when

(01:30:02):
he truly understands he can just be Robin in this game.
I don't know if it's gonna be today against the Raiders,
but games in general where he doesn't have to be
special to win. Look at Jalen Hurts. Jalen Hurts has
played the Robin role the first two wins. He did nothing,
and that's what the Eagles needed. That was enough to
win the game, and they needed to be Robin. He
needed to be Batman last week against the Rams, and

(01:30:24):
he was in the second half. So it requires both
roles and I think that's glossed over quite a bit,
but we all have like the game manager is such
a negative connotation, and a lot of times that's exactly
what you need in a particular game. And I think
that's where Caleb Williams can grow. He doesn't have to
be Batman every play every game.

Speaker 6 (01:30:46):
I love what you said there, Brian, because the thing
I'm most looking forward to in this game is seeing
Caleb Williams after a good game. Right, he played well.
What it's going to look like to day when you
know you're playing a Raiders team. I don't think it's
very good. They haven't looked good the last couple of weeks.
Maybe today they look much better. But you had a

(01:31:08):
game where you played well against the Cowboys. Now can
you do it? Game two? The Viking's kicker, by the way,
is wearing like a like a watch, like a watch
on his wrist, like.

Speaker 4 (01:31:19):
Like old school Reggie Roby, remember him, the punter of
the Dolphins. He always wore a wrist watch. It's funny,
good luck.

Speaker 6 (01:31:25):
He's win one of those like the measures like your
heart rate and stuff, and like you know, it gives
you your your information, your you're odd. So nonetheless that's
why I'm looking forward in this game. Look, I think
the Raiders are what they are. They're not very good.
You know. It's so funny whenever there's a choice between
drafting offensive lineman or skill guy, in the moment, it

(01:31:48):
feels great to draft the skill guy, you know, like, oh,
we got the we got Ashton Gent. But then it's like,
we can't block for him. Yeah, so what's the point
I argue with the Raider fans about this. What's the
point of having a great running back if you can't
actually for him. What's the point of having Jamar Chase
if you can't block for Joe Burrow? You know, like
the and this was not the greatest offensive line class.

(01:32:08):
So I get the Raaders wanted to pass. But Tyler
Booker looks pretty good for the Cowboys. He's out today, obviously,
But you're like, there were opportunities to get to bring
guys in early in that early in the first round
that would have helped you, and you could have gone
a running back. It's a league of full running backs everywhere.
You could have gone a running back any different points.
We got running backs, by the way. Caleb Johnson, of course,

(01:32:28):
I think we just mentioned right went over. You know,
the sports books new and wouldn't let us win. Crack
I mentioned the backup running back. That's what I said.
He's he's over. He's got like twenty yards, he's over
whatever they would have put up, and he'll get more carries.
Here's Pittsburgh try to try to run the clock out.
So they knew they bet MGM. You guys knew what
you were doing. Cost me money. I was gonna make
that wager and uh and Brian. So the Raiders just

(01:32:52):
again like you can't block for gent What does it
matter that you have a good running back if you
can't block for him.

Speaker 3 (01:32:58):
Yeah, you guys, this is the this is the one
game this week that, like I said, I didn't even
realize that I knew they were playing each other. I
just didn't put it together they were playing home here
because none of the guys I'm involved with have talked
about this Chicago Raiders game. I see a little bit
of from opening to close right now, Yeah, a little

(01:33:20):
bit of a little bit of a Bears money opened
up two and a half down to one and a
half at bet MGM two in most market and other markets.
You know, I got to tell you that there's just
been nothing to talk about on this game as a
side or even a total. Maybe a little bit of
over money in, but not really. It's like the battle
of these two teams that no one cares about. And

(01:33:43):
I'm not trying to say they don't because it's a
big game for the town. It's a big game for
you know, Vegas. I think Vegas should be the venue
of the super Bowl every year, to be honest with
you know, they're talking about it for twenty twenty nine,
but I think they should be here every year. I
thought it was greatter here, Jeff, You didn't think it
was great here having the super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (01:34:01):
Like moving it around?

Speaker 6 (01:34:02):
Yeah, it's just like it's an expensive place to be
for a week.

Speaker 3 (01:34:09):
Yeah you know, so it's like more expensive than the
New Orleans or whatever.

Speaker 5 (01:34:14):
Yeah, crek, I'll tell you man. Like I thought it
was tremendous for the super Bowl, but not every of it.
I don't know why these these places come. Like I
went to the NBA Cup, you know, the n Season
tournament was in Vegas. The worst spot in America to
host is Vegas. Like no one cares. It has to
be like an event as big as the Super Bowl

(01:34:36):
to have any juice whatsoever. People are there like falling asleep.
It's a horrible spot. Like when we got the Pac
twelve championship. Why go somewhere like Vegas. They think it's
this great, Oh, it's gonna be this huge attraction. There's
gonna be buzz in the stands. No, there's no buzz.
There's no juice, none.

Speaker 3 (01:34:54):
Interesting.

Speaker 6 (01:34:54):
Well, what's funny is they're doing it this year in
Santa Clara. There's no juice there either, So that's also
that you can Yeah, like that's sort of a problem
to buy New Orleans. I thought was awesome New Orleans.
So like, yeah, the food and the culture and the
things to do, and you walk everywhere, crack.

Speaker 3 (01:35:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:35:10):
I like, I've been in Vegas fifty times, probably too many.
I love. It's just getting around everywhere when it's busy
in Vegas is hard, man, And that's that's it.

Speaker 3 (01:35:20):
By the way, traffic's real bad here too. Never mind
super Bowl time.

Speaker 4 (01:35:24):
You have a good point there, f one, you got
f one here, crack right, Like I leave town for that.

Speaker 5 (01:35:30):
When it's coming in like November, they're already doing a
construction on the strip and it's the whole thing. Yeah,
we were trying to play the Ponies the other night. Crack,
we got stuck on the strip. You know, it's bad
traffic over there.

Speaker 3 (01:35:43):
Oh wow.

Speaker 5 (01:35:43):
Let me give you a stat that's pretty crazy and
it kind of underlines what you were talking about with
offensive line play here, Jeff. So, last week the Bears
they didn't allow a sack, and that was the first
game in Caleb Williams's NFL career that he was not sacked.
You have to go back to when he played Stanford
at USC the last time he was in a game

(01:36:04):
where he was in sacks.

Speaker 4 (01:36:06):
Now, a lot of that has to do with Caleb Williams.

Speaker 5 (01:36:07):
We know it throws the he holds onto the ball
quite a bit and tries to be batman and instead
of getting rid of the football and being Robin you know, right.

Speaker 4 (01:36:15):
But here's a stat that blows my mind.

Speaker 5 (01:36:17):
Obviously, the Bears will try to not give up a
sack against the Raiders today. If they accomplished that, it
would be back to back games not giving up a sack.
The last time the Bears did not allow a sack
in back to back games was way back in November
of two thousand and five. Think about twenty years, two
decades last time the Bears didn't give up a sack

(01:36:41):
in back to back games. That is wild to me, like,
really not giving up How many teams have not given
up a sack successfully in back to back games a
ton since five It's been twenty years for the Bears.

Speaker 4 (01:36:54):
That's crazy.

Speaker 6 (01:36:54):
That's a wild stat that I would never guess. It's
hard to stock a quarterback.

Speaker 5 (01:36:59):
Yeah right, yeah, yes, so the Bears. You're giving up
sacks left and right. This goes way before Caleb Williams. Right,
it's not just the Caleb Williams issue. It's a Bears issue.
So keep your eye on that. If the Raiders can
get any pressure, skip Max Crosby cranked up over here, right,
all right, We've got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz,

(01:37:20):
eight year NFL veteran. I'm Brian know. This isn't just
a game. It's a once in a generation event. The

coming up next, Man As a game with a quite

(01:37:42):
obvious storyline, and Man one team is looking pretty rough
right now. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff,
presented by Bet MGM. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown

Speaker 3 (01:38:11):
Again.

Speaker 5 (01:38:11):
Just search Fox Sports Radio wherever you get your podcasts,
and you'll find today's full show right after we get
off the air.

Speaker 4 (01:38:21):
Wow. So craziness in Dublin over here.

Speaker 3 (01:38:23):
So crazy.

Speaker 5 (01:38:25):
So the Steelers went for it on fourth and goal
from about the four. They just ran it for three
yards and so they were short. So Vikings take over
at their own one. They run it to get out of.

Speaker 3 (01:38:39):
The end zone.

Speaker 5 (01:38:39):
Right the shadow of their own end zone, they find
Jordan Addison in a complete breakdown of the Steelers zone defense.
Jordan Addison catches it, takes it all the way to
the Steelers one yard line. He got caught by a linebacker, right,
he couldn't get his footing, And now it's fourth and goal.
So the Vikes like, what do you do? You go

(01:39:02):
for the touchdown here? You settle for three to make
it a one possession game. That's so embarrassing. It's even
fourth and goal right now, but you're gambling with the
game if you go for a touchdown, right.

Speaker 6 (01:39:11):
I think the idea is you might not get any
closer than this, Yeah, so you might as well go
for it, right, Like that sort of the thought process.
I think in this situation, you need a touchdown and
a field goal. What's easier to get the field goal later? Right,
because you're you can take a field goal from the
forty right order, you're not going to get probably down
to the three again. So here they go.

Speaker 3 (01:39:32):
You guys think Pittsburgh should have have went for the
field goal there when they had to score.

Speaker 4 (01:39:37):
I think they should.

Speaker 5 (01:39:38):
I don't think so, but you know, because because you'd
have to give up two touchdowns to the Vikings or
or this, Like, if you're going for it on fourth,
I just would have ran a different play. To me,
that's your third down play. You run it on third
to get close and then all right, or we're going
to go for it on fourth.

Speaker 6 (01:39:53):
It's the right decision to go for it in that situation.
Because so now they're up three, right, if they're up six,
let me start this. There are three right now. Okay,
if the Vikings could get the ball back, the Leakis
are still going to try to score a touchdown to
win the game and settle for a field goal, right,
They're gonna do that up if you're up six, they're

(01:40:14):
still going for touchdown too. Like the same mindset applies,
you know, and so you might as well just get
up six. You know, a field doesn't help you as much.
GI mean, three and six to me is not that
big of a difference here. So well see now, now
look the Lekes have one time out two minute warning.

Speaker 5 (01:40:27):
Yeah right, by the way, this is a lot like
the week one game for the Vikings against the Bears,
where they really need to boot the ball out of
the end zone, so no time comes off the clock,
cause they can use the two minute warner as a
time out. So if you put this in the field
to play, I mean eight seconds in a long time
to be running around as the kickoff returner, so it's
probably not going to matter, but you would rather not

(01:40:49):
run the risk and just boot it out of the
end zone.

Speaker 4 (01:40:51):
I would think here right.

Speaker 6 (01:40:53):
Uh yeah, I think so. And but yeah, like I'm
on the Steelers, Like, what's the point of being an
nfls of a situation? You're up twenty four to six,
you think, like it's and now I have to sweat
this whole thing out. Yeah, hope, you know, get a
first down. Just a miserable way to watch.

Speaker 5 (01:41:11):
Vikings will somehow win this in regulation, you know, won't
even go to overtime.

Speaker 4 (01:41:14):
They'll somehow get the ball and march right down or
just brutal.

Speaker 3 (01:41:18):
Just crazy. I mean, this isn't It's amazing, isn't it?
Like every given Sunday and every game just can come
down at one point you say to yourself, Wow, it's that.
This is how hard it is to bet. I mean,
Pittsburgh was handled, never even sweat anything, and then all
of a sudden, don't kick that or whatever, don't score

(01:41:39):
there and don't run the clock properly. I don't know
what the right thing, the right call to do there is.
I just thought you'd have to kick that field goal
instead of going for it on were they on the
four yard line?

Speaker 2 (01:41:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:41:52):
Right, Well, Hey, the thinking is, you just need a
field goal to tie it. Maybe you luck out and
get the on side kick, and you're pretty much guaranteed
if you don't get it, to have the two minute
warning to stop the clock. So it's not the worst
strategy right there.

Speaker 3 (01:42:07):
Yeah, I mean I hope one can cover an on
sidekick though, Yeah, so much ahead of me.

Speaker 6 (01:42:12):
Yeah, someone called time out Pittsburgh.

Speaker 5 (01:42:14):
Day that be Yeah, gotta be a Steelers all right,
we're gonna get to uh, this man just has to
take the yel.

Speaker 4 (01:42:20):
Just take the yel.

Speaker 5 (01:42:21):
We'll do some rapid fire previews coming up next. First, though,
our guy Dan Byer with us this morning special treat.

Speaker 6 (01:42:26):
Yeah you got that. You guys broke it down.

Speaker 9 (01:42:28):
It's a twenty four to twenty one ballgame in dub
len continuing Week four, Steelers on the top of the vikings.

Speaker 6 (01:42:35):
Just a couple of numbers.

Speaker 9 (01:42:36):
That big pass player that set Minnesota up for the
score to Jordan Addison put Carson Wentz over the three
hundred yard mark for the game three twenty seven to two.
Touchdowns and two interceptions. Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison both
over one hundred yards receiving today. Dk Metcalf the big
receiving day for the Steelers five catches one hundred and
twenty six yards and that eightyr touchdown pass from Aaron

(01:42:57):
rodgers Well Kenneth Gainwell with jal and Warren out getting
a bulk of the carries. Sixteen carries ninety yards and
two scores for Gainwell on the day, and the on
side kick is recovered by Pittsburgh, so they'll take over
first and ten just at the Vikings forty nine yard line.

Speaker 6 (01:43:15):
A couple of actives to tell you about.

Speaker 9 (01:43:17):
Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard and wide receiver Tet McMillan.
They're going to go today against the Patriots. Commanders running
back to Corey Crosskin Merritt's playing against the Falcons. Well
Ravens ten and is all likely should make his season
debut in Kansas City against the Chiefs.

Speaker 6 (01:43:30):
Rams.

Speaker 9 (01:43:30):
Wide receiver DeVante Adams expected to play against the Colts today.
Bears running back DeAndre Swift should play against the Raiders.
Colston Loveland status not as sure if Swift NFL Network
says that Loveland likely to miss the contest today in
Las Vegas at the Ryder Cuff Singles matches are underway,
but they're only playing eleven today. That's because Victor Hoblin

(01:43:51):
had to withdraw for Team You're Up because of a
neck injury. He will not face Harris English. They were
the last scheduled match to go out today. Under the
Ryder Cup rules, Hoveland and English will have their match.
So Europe currently leads to the United States twelve to five,
with the Europeans snitning just fourteen points to claim the
Ryder Cup once again. Finally, it's the final day of

(01:44:11):
the regular season of Major League Baseball. Reds and Mets
tied for the final wildcard in the NL. Reds are
in Milwaukee facing the Brewers. Mets are in Miami taking
on the Marlins. Reds have the tiebreaker. There also the
AL Central and AL East crowns up for grabs in
the American leagues, all games starting after three o'clock Eastern
time today, Guys, back.

Speaker 4 (01:44:31):

at the Cowboys in the Sunday night game. Cowboys a
little bit of Cowboy money? How about this down to
a six and a half point home dog? I think

(01:45:11):
just obviously it's the return of Michah Parsons. He's with
the Packers, now traded from the Cowboys, back in Dallas
to face his former squad, and Jerry Jones just has
to shut up about all things Micah Parsons this week.
He's like, well, we didn't win a Super Bowl with Micah,
so there's that. It's like, dude, shut up, right, are
we all the same page? And then we got to

(01:45:32):
be in firm agreement on this one. Micah Parsons is
a pass rushing beast. The Cowboys have no pass rush whatsoever.
Caleb Williams wasn't sacked for the first time since college
last week. They have no pass rush, and now Jerry's like, well,
we didn't win a Super Bowl with Micah, so it's like,
just stop talking about all things Michaeh Parsons, the trade
has not worked out for you. Well, we'll see what

(01:45:53):
happens with the low first round draft picks over the
next couple of years, but as of now, it's been
a disaster for the cow Boys. Jerry just has to
take the yell and move on, Like, stop saying anything
about my ka. It's not working out.

Speaker 6 (01:46:06):
Uh, he's just trying to find things to say justified.
I mean some of the stuff he does. Stop the run.
You don't pay him to stop the run. You pay
him to rush the passer. That's why he makes the money,
right You guys don't pay me for my good looks,
you pay me for my good words. Okay, Like like
like they're coming out. I traded I traded Schwartz because
he just he's ugly, But didn't matter on the radio,

(01:46:27):
does it matter what Swartz looks like? It didn't matter
if stops the run? Tops the rust of the passer.

Speaker 4 (01:46:32):
It's a good point.

Speaker 5 (01:46:33):
That's like saying, well Tom Brady doesn't scramble around and
rush for a bunch of bunch of you who cares that?

Speaker 6 (01:46:40):
The Packers loss that last week was what I thin,
We're gonna look back in one of those and be like,
really that like that they lost the Browns up ten
nothing in the fourth quarter, no way, So that that
feels like one of those games where you know, there's
a couple of year where he just there's one in
college football, by the way, that stands out through four weeks,
the cow episodes with thirty four nothing.

Speaker 4 (01:47:00):
How about San Diego State winning six to three against.

Speaker 6 (01:47:04):
Northern Illinois plus two and you lose when the other
team score six points. My god, that's gotta be bad.
But yeah, the Packers I think are gonna win this
game by lot. The Cowboys played no defense, no cdee
LAMB two offensive linement out right now with injury, so
it feels like a pretty tough spot to be in.
Won a rush by gainwell there to get to the

(01:47:26):
uh that looked like it was gonna be a loss
of four, And that was a good effort there. He's
a third and two buckets called their final time out game.
Well has been running very very hard today.

Speaker 3 (01:47:37):
Yeah, so anyway, all right, so we got the Sunday
night I guess yeah, you're right, drama game. Obviously the storyline,
like you said, Parsons returns to Dallas today. Cowboys quarterback
Dak Prescott will have to you know, face the parsions obviously,
the sack leader or shat Gary and the number one
defense in general. They could this could be trouble. This

(01:48:00):
could be troubled for Dak, who's going to be without
his go to lamb uh starting center right guard. I
mean they're you know, can Dallas protect Prescott enough so
he can get the ball to with the pickens and Ferguson.
I just don't know that. They'll need to establish a
better run game to keep the pressure off deck, that's
for sure. Uh. Packers were the early public darling and

(01:48:23):
everyone talked that after week one, number one bet future
at the books that allow futures like bet MGM over
the season wins. Of course, people said, oh my guys
should have got and I knew they were gonna They're
gonna win the Super Bowl. Everyone betting Packers after week
one even after week two and then look what happened

(01:48:44):
last week they ran into Cleveland. Who would think, Uh,
Jordan Love, uh, you know, looks to bounce back from
from that that loss last week. He has pretty much
played mistake free ball his first two games, but made
some Aaron throws and the bet interception last week. So again,
Cowboys defense just looked horrible. So I expect Love, like

(01:49:04):
Jeff said, to have better success this week.

Speaker 6 (01:49:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:49:07):
Yeah, that's man, that's just unfor It's inexcusable. I was
gonna say unforgivable, but it's inexcusable for Jordan Love to
throw an interception that bad in a game like that
against the Browns. It's just no one can score. It's
hard to move the ball at all. You just give
the ball to the Browns like it can't happen.

Speaker 3 (01:49:28):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:49:28):
But yeah, Jordan Love.

Speaker 5 (01:49:30):
It's kind of like the get right spot for all
these quarterbacks against the Cowboys defense, like Russell Wilson threw
for four fifty, you know. So we'll see if Jordan
Love can get right as a little short.

Speaker 6 (01:49:41):
What do you do if you're Pittsburgh, have you got
a punt?

Speaker 3 (01:49:44):
Right? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:49:44):
I think you got a punt. You would like to say, well,
if you can't get a yard, we don't deserve to
win the game. But you couldn't get a yard on
third and one, you know what I mean?

Speaker 6 (01:49:51):
So yeah, you're also just very close to You're very
close to if you missed this, the Vikings are one
or two pustions away from field goal range.

Speaker 4 (01:50:00):
What would you do? I would punt it and make
the field I'm team aggressive.

Speaker 6 (01:50:06):
Just let you know.

Speaker 11 (01:50:07):
I'm I'm team win the game on offense. For it here,
they're not going to. I would, but you would go
for it on fourth and money. I would, Yeah, like
we got game, Well let's do this.

Speaker 6 (01:50:17):
I'm team uh no, like this is what you sort
of save a play every game plan for this moment.
And I after I just blew a blow, after I
just blew a coverage and allowed the Vikings to score.
I don't. I'm just team and the game on offense.
Man maybe an offensive player and they watched him with

(01:50:38):
Dan Lanning last night, but I'm just always team let's
win the game. But like, let's go win it, let's go.
It's just what I am. Probably not always right in
that spot, but yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:50:51):
Hey, like you might be right here. The thing I
don't like is they got stuffed on third and one,
you know what I mean. That's the thing I don't
like about going for it here. So you're facing Carson Wentz,
you know, like, yeah, Jeff.

Speaker 3 (01:51:05):
You actually go for it. They need like twenty yards
for a field goal. I mean, wow, that's a tough
but but.

Speaker 4 (01:51:12):
Now you blew the ball like they got a net
like twenty yard punt way in the end zone.

Speaker 3 (01:51:17):
That was that That makes more sense if it's net
twenty yards. You guys are ahead of me, like I said,
so you.

Speaker 6 (01:51:23):
Put the ball in the back of the end zone.
The ball was like, like, what was the ball at
the forty?

Speaker 4 (01:51:29):
Inded that thing?

Speaker 3 (01:51:30):
Man, Yeah, it was at the forty. You know. It's
funny you guys like landed out of the end zone.

Speaker 4 (01:51:35):
Yeah, yeah, not even close.

Speaker 5 (01:51:37):
You guys remember Tom Thomas Morristead, Remember the punter Thomas Morristead.
He was with the Saints for a little while. Anyway,
I was filling in in Atlanta. He was with the Falcons,
and we interviewed him one time and I was like, hey,
is it uh, is it tricky to you know, not
kick the ball in the end zone.

Speaker 4 (01:51:55):
He's like, no, not at all. I was like really,
He's like, yeah, you just have to concentrate and be good.

Speaker 3 (01:52:00):
At what you do.

Speaker 6 (01:52:01):
Oh oh, just threw a pick.

Speaker 4 (01:52:02):
I think, oh shocking, that's wow.

Speaker 3 (01:52:06):
Irish eyes were not smiling.

Speaker 6 (01:52:07):
I will see if he's to his feet are inbounds though,
But like Tom and Guy, I guess Olson ripped Mike
Tomlin for for not going for it.

Speaker 4 (01:52:15):
Really, yeah, well that's why you don't go for it.
There's Carson Wentz on the other side there.

Speaker 6 (01:52:21):
You know that was just late. He threw his little
come back around to Jefferson. I don't know if he's
in though. They're not showing any replace.

Speaker 5 (01:52:26):
We'll see if he's Yeah, was he No?

Speaker 3 (01:52:30):
I think he was, though, right right, that's.

Speaker 6 (01:52:33):
The one one. That's one I don't they got to
the other side.

Speaker 5 (01:52:40):
I don't know he's got two inbounds unless he's bobbling
it on that first step, right.

Speaker 6 (01:52:44):
That's why. That's why I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:52:46):
Yeah, because his back is turned on the first roun.

Speaker 6 (01:52:48):
They have no camera angle that shows the other side.
Here we go, Uh, let's see a great replay.

Speaker 4 (01:52:55):
Again, be able to see unless they have something from
the other.

Speaker 3 (01:52:58):
Here we go.

Speaker 6 (01:52:59):
Look, no, not from they need something from the other
like they need it from the other side. I think
it's a catch. I mean it's a catch. I don't
think he bobbled the ball at all. Oh here it
is right here we got Nope, there's still not a
great camera. There's zero camera angles actually showed the ball
in his hand.

Speaker 4 (01:53:13):
The back is perfectly turned either side.

Speaker 6 (01:53:17):
The questions like the nailor pop it loose at all?
You can't you can't see.

Speaker 4 (01:53:21):
Yeah, you can't see it. You can see his arms,
you know how his arms kind of come out. You
can tell the Oh, here we go.

Speaker 6 (01:53:27):
Finally we got an angle. Oh no, no catch, Nope,
that's only he bobbled.

Speaker 4 (01:53:32):
It, okay, sidelight, yeah, oh yeah, totally yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:53:37):
I totally bobbled it.

Speaker 4 (01:53:38):
For Carson Wentz.

Speaker 5 (01:53:39):
Let's go, let's see some drama over here. All right,
good stuff, All right, We've got Jeff Schwartz, eight year
NFL veteran. Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper. I'm Brian No

(01:54:36):
and a half to process anything.

Speaker 4 (01:54:39):
There's an intentional grounding.

Speaker 5 (01:54:40):
Call and they turn it over on downs and the
Steelers escape with a twenty four to twenty one win.
I think our trusted producer Bo Benson said it best.
He's like, people gonna make a big deal out of
this game. I just think both teams stink. These are
these two teams right now, at least at this stage
of the season, are not good. Carson Wentz back up

(01:55:02):
for a reason. Steelers just winning ugly, But hey man,
they're three and one. It's the ugliest three and one
I can remember.

Speaker 6 (01:55:08):
But same thing.

Speaker 5 (01:55:11):
Yeah, that's there's a reason why they get to a
winning record every year.

Speaker 4 (01:55:15):
It's a game like this.

Speaker 5 (01:55:16):
Shout out to our trusted producer Bo Benson, the Dodger
Zone Pod technical producer extraordinary Chris Purfett crushing the updates today,
our guy Dan byer in for I Low. Nice to

(01:55:37):

some picks to make, by the way, top of the hour,
End Zone Radio, Steve Hartman VJ.

Speaker 4 (01:55:45):
Husky, keep it locked right here on Fox Sports Radio.
Let's make some picks. Let's do it fast the spread.

Speaker 3 (01:55:53):
We call it the crack challenge.

Speaker 4 (01:55:58):
All right, Jeff, start us on. What do you like today?

Speaker 6 (01:56:01):
So bad week? Last week probably gone two and three
with one and four with the least improbable cover of all.
All right, here we go. Give me Buffalo minus fourteen
and a half. Buffalo dominates bad teams at home that
are on in division. Happit all the time. This wouldn't
surprised you if this is like a college game, some

(01:56:23):
insane score that makes a lot of sense. Panthers plus
five and a half. Still don't get why the Patriot
fire over anyone canny Tampa Bay plus three and a
half number scares me. Hasn't moved all week. Kind of scary.
Rams minus three and a half. And then I'm I'm
just gonna do it. That's a bad number.

Speaker 3 (01:56:46):
What is what it is?

Speaker 6 (01:56:47):
Chiefs plus two and a half.

Speaker 4 (01:56:49):
Yeah, hey man, he I'm with you on a couple.

Speaker 5 (01:56:52):
I'm with you on Chiefs plus two and a half,
Tampa plus three and a half.

Speaker 4 (01:56:57):
I'm with you there.

Speaker 5 (01:56:58):
I'm gonna go head to head with you. I'm gonna
take the Patriots and lay the points.

Speaker 3 (01:57:02):
I hear you.

Speaker 5 (01:57:02):
I get your argument, But being minus five in the
turnover deferential, I just don't see them turning the ball
over left and right like that. Panthers can't stop the run.
I don't like their defense at all. So I'll lay
it with the Patriots here. It's an aggressive maneuver by yours, truly,
but I'll do it.

Speaker 4 (01:57:22):
Give me.

Speaker 5 (01:57:23):
I hate that this move ticked down, that this game
ticked down, but I'm on Jacksonville plus three. I loved
it at plus three and a half, but it's moved.
That's why the crack challenge is evil. Right there, you
have to make decisions at the gun, and then I
will I'll go with the Falcons. Give me Atlanta minus
two and a half, rebounding from a dreadful performance last

(01:57:44):
week getting shut out Carolina.

Speaker 4 (01:57:47):
But Washington's banged up.

Speaker 5 (01:57:49):
Mariota in there again, No Terry McLaurin, they're banged up
on offense. I think that the Falcons the power of
embarrassment is real. I'll roll with them, all right.

Speaker 4 (01:57:57):
Let's do this rapid fire, rapid fire. Okay, correct, give
us something that you like, buddy.

Speaker 3 (01:58:06):
Yeah, let me give you guys an NFL side? Everyone
one side. So let's go Colts plus three and a half.
I think they can hopefully keep it close there. And uh,
this is a game that actually should be a better
game than people think, you know, if people aren't overlooking
how good these teams are there, how good these two
teams are this year. So let's look. Take the Colts
with the three and.

Speaker 6 (01:58:25):
A half, right, Okay, I like I think he's eier
worthy today it's gonna have a good day. Give me
Worthy over forty seven and a half receiving yards back
on the field today.

Speaker 4 (01:58:39):
Okay, I hear you on that.

Speaker 5 (01:58:41):
You know, I'm gonna look at a prop over here.
The Bears, man, they don't blitz at all. They just
they blitz at a four per rate. They don't blitz.
They're trying to get home with their front four, and
they're routinely not getting home with their front four. So
I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with rock Bowers today.
I'm gonna go over five and a half catches for

(01:59:03):
brock Bowers. Chicago doesn't do a good job against tight
ends either, so I think Gino he targets brock Bowers
quite a bit today.

Speaker 4 (01:59:11):
Give me over five and a half catches. All let's
get to Cracks play the day.

Speaker 1 (01:59:18):
This is the best play of the day.

Speaker 4 (01:59:23):
All right, Crack, what do you have for us?

Speaker 3 (01:59:25):
Well?

Speaker 4 (01:59:25):
That Jeff's play.

Speaker 3 (01:59:26):
It was gonna be my play today. That's excellent. I
agree that Over.

Speaker 6 (01:59:32):
I literally had the Chiefs tab open. That's why I
looked at it. That's why I looked at it. I
was like, it's open.

Speaker 3 (01:59:37):
Worthy Over on his receiving yards.

Speaker 6 (01:59:39):
There we go.

Speaker 3 (01:59:40):
Also, listen, all the props are rated about the same,
but I mean I can give you another one too.
I can actually throw you guys another bone here. Let's
go a lave over receiving yards on New Orleans. So
that's way you have an extra one there. But yeah,
so it's funny that that that was gonna be it though. Listen,
this this is where you need these veterans mahomes worthy.
You need these guys to step up tonight and this

(02:00:04):
spot that it could be. This is like must win
for both teams. So I think it should be a
good time, guys. And just remember you don't have to
make bets on all these primetime games sides and totals.
You could bet the props instead. Have a little bit
of action and root for your player. There you go.

Speaker 4 (02:00:20):
Absolutely.

Speaker 5 (02:00:21):
By the way, how about disgusting stat before we get
out of here, Carson Wentz. Normally this wouldn't sound terrible
against Pittsburgh, but Pittsburgh's defense is not what we know
them to be. Wentz sacked seven times today. That way
too slow processing things, man, But hey, Steelers started us

(02:00:41):
off today with a week four win, so we'll see
where it takes us, enjoy the ball. Hopefully all your
bets hit, and we'll catch you next week.
