You know Penn Steak gotch got the butt whoop. So
he didn't he didn't. He had to take a hiatus
this morning. But that's okay. We're just gonna text LeVar
and make him feel even worse. It's been a week, man,
Come on, get over it. Come then, let it go.
Speaker 3 (01:24):

Speaker 2 (01:46):
How your Saturday? How you feeling out there on the
East coast?
Speaker 3 (01:48):
Plex?
Speaker 5 (01:49):
Oh man, it's man, it's absolutely beautiful ahead today. Man,
it's eighty four degrees and the East Man, it is
a beautiful Saturday morning, and it's football is on television
College Pro tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
Man.
Speaker 5 (02:05):
So I'm just you know, basking in all the of
the favor of football Saturday. Notre Dame is playing boys
you state at three thirty, So you know I'm gonna
be locked in one hundred after the show was over.
But hey, LeVar, Man, we really got to just get
you back on the show. Man. Listen, I understand, I
(02:27):
know I told you last weekend t J. I say
they over there saying we are, and I said they ain't.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
They ain't.
Speaker 5 (02:37):
So listen, you got to digest it and and you know,
just get back to get back into reality. It's a
it's a it's a new Saturday. So hopefully the Boys
do better this weekend.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
Yeah, you can't have these high expectations, man, you know
you had they had a great team coming into town,
and when you have a eight team coming into it's
gonna be tough.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
You can't lose that game. We'll get into that.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
Uh, we'll talk briefly about Penn State and they're white
out being whited out.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
We'll get in that. But I don't understand.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
And it's been pretty much a week since this game
took place, and it's just it was an odd ending,
obviously for everyone involved in the people watching because we
don't see it often.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
But it felt like a win for one and a
loss for another.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
The Packers and the Cowboys' hie. And now people are
starting to say, Hey, did Jerry Jones Really? Did Jerry
Jones and the Cowboys win that trade? What's your thoughts
on both?
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (03:55):
You know what?
Speaker 5 (03:55):
Uh, you know, trying to you know, dissect this football
game and trying to take away some of the highlights
of what you know transpired, you know last week was
you can't really say that anybody won this game or
the trade or or whatever you may think, because both
(04:18):
team gave up forty points defensively. We're talking about fifty
eight first downs and over nine hundred yards of total
offense and a professional football game.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
So who won the trade defensively? I mean.
Speaker 5 (04:38):
The Green Bay Packers, and I think Jordan Love is
on his way to being, you know, one of the
elite quarterbacks you know in this league offensively, and Matt Laflour,
you know, being the head coach and the play caller
for this team. But you just look at both of
these teams defensively, what did they accomplish? They accomplish nothing.
(05:00):
I mean, I think one of the one of the
best highlights was seeing George Pickens, you know, getting back
to the player that we know he can be with
eight catches, two touchdowns, one hundred and thirty four yards.
But I don't think there were really any other highlights
in this game defensively because they both gave up forty points.
(05:22):
I mean, the kicker is like the headliner.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
For the whole football game.
Speaker 5 (05:29):
But I think if you're the Dallas Cowboys in the
NFC East, I think that that game is going to
hurt them moving down the stretch. They didn't lose the game,
said they tied. You don't know how that whole thing
is going to shape up, you know, when it comes
playoff time. But I think for the green Bay Packers,
(05:50):
I don't really think it will hurt them as much
moving forward because I think that Green Bay is probably
the best team in that division, in the NFC North.
I'm gonna just say that, I think that Listen Detroit
is good, but I think moving forward with Green Bay,
(06:10):
Packers are going to be in a better position down
the stretch going into the playoffs. For me, in and
in the tie, I mean, it's somewhat anti climactic. I
will say this, there's no way to determine who wanted
(06:31):
to trade it. In my eyes, unless the Cowboys draft
a perennial Pro Bowler and a guy that's gonna be
on the cusp of the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 4 (06:41):
They didn't win this trade. They can spin it however
they want to spin it. They lost this trade. Unless
you draft very very good players with those picks in
the future, you just don't know what's gonna happen. So
to say they want to trade because they played one
game and they tied, them, it's crazy and oh, MICUs
(07:02):
Parson's impact was limited. Of course it was limited. You
chipped him the whole game. You put the tight end
on his side the entire game. You wanted to limit
his impact so that you could say, look, guys, we
won the trade. Were gonna keep our back on his
side and hipp inghim the whole damn game. The whole game.
(07:22):
That's all they did. And so anybody that's watching football.
When they didn't chip him, he got pressure on Dak Prescott,
and when they did chip him, it's hard to do.
And so they wanted to limit his impact, and their
game plan showed us so that they could scream at
the top of the mountain, we won the trade because
Michael Parsers.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
Didn't do anything.
Speaker 4 (07:44):
He did have a sac at the end that Dak
Prescott probably would have run in for a touchdown.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
Micah Sacktum.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
But it you're gonna have to draft peri perennial Pro
Bowlers and the guy that's gonna be on the cusp
of the Hall of Fame to say you want this
trade at least for me. The type part, I don't
like it, but I get it. It's player safety you're
trying to make sure guys aren't playing a ton of
(08:12):
snaps in an overtime period.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
So I get that part of it, but you just
want you want to win her.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
Especially that type of game, that game going into that
game and the storyline with the Cowboys and Micah Parsons.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
But I will say this, Dak Prescott is balling.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
Dak press Scott this first quarter of the season.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
Is balling.
Speaker 4 (08:47):
And so if Dak can continue to play like this,
because that first game, I said, oh Okay, the Cowboys
got something. The problem is defensively they can't get enough stops.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
But Dak Prescott is playing very well.
Speaker 5 (09:08):
Yeah, man, I don't know what's going on defensively, you know,
with Dallas in the back end, it just seems like
guys are just running free through the zone. Trayvon Diggs
is not playing you know, you know coverage. Well, so
I don't know what the Dallas Cowboys are going to
do do moving forward. They can't stop the run, you
(09:30):
can't stop the pass, So they're gonna have to be
able to find a way to get some pressure on
somebody so they can slow down these offenses moving forward.
But I just think for Green baby. I think they're
in a good I think they're in a good space
to be able to go into Dallas and compete and
to be able to put up forty points in the row.
I think that says more about them than the Dallas
(09:54):
Cowboys moving forward, because it's that the NFC North is
is one of the best divisions in football, and I
just think that Green Bay is in a good space.
They're going to continue to get better. Mike is going
to continue to assert himself more into this defense. And
if you're Dallas Cowboys, you're Brian Shotahamma. Looking forward, you
(10:18):
still have to play Washington obviously Philadelphia, and you're better
than the New York Giants right now. I'm not sure
that you're tied because you're tied last week. The record
is better. Yeah, I'm not saying it's just Trayvon Diggs.
(10:38):
He they not even start them, Like, I don't know
what's going down in Dallas meither he not even starting,
Like what is going on? Just that part? Why is
he not starting that? That's number one?
Speaker 4 (10:55):
Number two is the Cowboys are going to have to
figure out when they do play the Philadelphia Eagles. The
Washington Commanders are they gonna be able to keep up
with them because the defense they stopping nobody, at least
that's the way it looks, stopping nobody. So are they
(11:17):
gonna be able to keep up? And when I say
keep up, are they gonna be able to score enough points?
The Eagles think they not scoring points? But for me,
the tie, I would like to me it felt like
the Cowboys won and the Packers lost that game.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
At the end of the game, I'm like, Jordan Love,
what are you doing? Like? What are you.
Speaker 6 (11:41):
Like?
Speaker 4 (11:42):
You know the time, I think he lost track of
the down. Believe it doesn't matter if you lose track
of the downs because you see the clock is ticking,
you're taking your time, you're throwing a ball like and
then Matt Lafleur, are you not going to communicate in
the handset because you can communicate in the handset? Are
you not going to communicate the handset to what's going on?
Speaker 5 (12:03):
But you know what, fifteen minutes, fifteen seconds on the clock,
the haadset goes out in the helmet.
Speaker 4 (12:07):
Yeah, but it was it wasn't even fifteen seconds left
in the game, So it ain't that going out.
Speaker 5 (12:13):
I'm telling you right now, I believe that Jordan Love
thought it was like second down because there's no way
that he's getting to the line of scrimmage. He had
no sense of urgency of what.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
The down was.
Speaker 5 (12:32):
I think he lost track that he did not know
that it was fourth down the next play.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
I really believe that you lose track of the downs.
Speaker 4 (12:42):
You cannot lose track of a time like they literally
almost took a real l even though it felt like
it now for me, because you're not managing the clock
and you're not aware. But yeah, I can't what are
you doing. I can't put that all on Jordan Love. Yeah,
we have to take some responsibility. But your head coach
(13:03):
should be in your ear telling you, Okay, we got
hurry up and get this ball off. We got hurry up,
we got hurry up, we got ten seconds. So when
you tell the quarterback that, it should be a sense
of awareness now, like, okay, I can't be like they
took their time and literally almost lost the game. Now,
if that happens, it's a completely different ball game.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
We're talking about something completely different.
Speaker 4 (13:28):
And so that part of it was odd to say
the least, a tie felt like a loss, at least
for me, and I'm sure for the Packers. Also, I'm
sure for make Up Parsons. It felt like he lost.
You know, he wanted to win that game, and for
the Cowboys being as bad as people thought, felt like
a win. But it was a tie and that's why
(13:50):
they are ahead. Can I say you're New York Giants
and the standings? Would that be fair?
Speaker 3 (13:58):
Yeah? I guess you can.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
I mean, you did what you did. Win a super
Bowl would have been you. Man.
Speaker 5 (14:05):
They don't want a game last weekend, and I even
said that I didn't think the Giants had a chance
to win the game, but that they went out and
gotta don man.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
I said that last week on this show, and they
went out.
Speaker 4 (14:18):
And got it done. We was both wrong, Yes we were,
Yes we were. We got a great show planning. We're
gonna get into Tyreek Hill's situation.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
Man.
Speaker 4 (14:27):
Unfortunate the Browns have named the new starting quarterback. We'll
getting the Dylan Gabriel and what's up with Lamar? But
we're gonna talk some baseball, you know, me and Plex

it don't matter what the sport, we understand it. We
watch it, we study it, we gonna talk it, so

(18:17):
Tyreek Hill dislocates his kneecap. Obviously he will miss the
rest of the season, so unfortunate for him. The question
is we know this season is a rap, it's over
at this age.
Speaker 2 (18:37):
Will his career be over? That's the question.
Speaker 4 (18:42):
At his age, the I want to be out of Miami,
And he wasn't saying this. It was just a lot
of chatter that he didn't want to stay in Miami.
Will he won regain explosiveness too? Will we see him
ever again in the national Football League would have had
(19:04):
it on.
Speaker 5 (19:05):
Of course. I think he'll bounced back from it. I mean,
even though you know, we saw what happened last week
with his knee and dislocated kneecap, I really do believe
that he'll he'll.
Speaker 3 (19:18):
Bounce back from it.
Speaker 5 (19:19):
It's not you know, I would rather have a dislocated
either a broken leg or whatever the case may be.
But I think that he'll bounce back from it. I
don't think that he's going to play for the Dolphins
moving forward because I mean, if you look at his
whole contract situation in twenty twenty six, I mean his
(19:42):
cap is fifty one million dollars, So I think the
Dolphins have a decision to make by June first of
next year to save him thirty million he thought thirty
nine million dollars if they trade him or cut him,
or whatever the case may be. So I think that's
going to be the issue with Tyderrick Hill moving forward
(20:05):
with the Miami Dolphins, you know, because fifty one million
dollars cap hit is is is a lot of money
for a guy that he's getting older, and I think
I don't think you really can say if he's going
to come back one hundred percent. I believe that he
will play again, but I don't think it'll be for
(20:27):
Mike McDaniel and tour in this offense with the Miami
Dolphins moving forward. I mean, it's just really, you know,
unfortunate to see, you know, things like this happen. It's
just just routine football plays and we always come on
this show and these guys are, you know, fighting for
(20:50):
that money and holding out and trying to you know,
you know, to make the most the most money as
they can, and you see things like this happen, and
it's just a reminder of how, you know, what this
game can be at any point in time in your career,
(21:14):
and you don't want to see it. Nobody wants to
see these kind of things happen. But I do think
for Tyler rig hill Man, I think he will recover
from this. We just don't know if he's going to
be the same player moving forward, and the Miami Dolphins
is going to have to make a decision if they
want to retain him on this team and then this organization.
(21:40):
But he will play again, I just don't think it's
going to be for the Miami Dolphins.
Speaker 4 (21:45):
Yeah, yeah, obviously, he's thirty one years old. Man, he
playing football again. Will it be with the Miami Dolphins.
I'm gonna say absolutely not. You well, there are reports
of you. You want it out and now that you
heard it, it's it's a business for the Dolphins. You're
(22:06):
thirty one, you'll be thirty two when next season starts.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
You had this cap hit.
Speaker 4 (22:11):
You're making X amount, which is a lot base salary wise,
the Dolphins aren't gonna pay that for a thirty two
year old receiver coming off an injury like that, a
dislocated knee kept.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
The biggest thing is.
Speaker 4 (22:27):
Tyreek's Hill game is predicated on speed, quickness, explosiveness. Even
if he even if he loses the step, he's steal
fast everybody else. So like they want to, I want
to put this out there now, don't say Tyreek Hill
(22:47):
lost a step and he's like everybody else, He's gonna
even And I don't the way guys trained, the way
guys take care of themselves, the way guys have have
people that really know what they're doing working with them
in forum. He's going to be fine. He's gonna attack
(23:10):
this rehab. You see him in the back of the
ambulamps smiling. He knows what's ahead, he knows the type
of work that he's gonna have to put in to
get back to where he was. I don't believe the
Dolphins is gonna pay him. I believe they're gonna be
They're gonna have to release him. Nobody's gonna trade for him,
not at that salary. The only way you can stay
(23:30):
with the Dolphins. They give him an extension, and on
that extension, he's making eighteen.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
Or twenty million a year.
Speaker 3 (23:38):
Oh, they ask.
Speaker 2 (23:39):
Now, they're gonna have to you.
Speaker 4 (23:42):
When you come off that type of injury, you basically
have no choice but the restructure. But you have no
choice to restructure at a price that is beneficial to
the team.
Speaker 5 (23:54):
And one I don't think he will they do that.
I don't think he wants to be playing for the
Dolphins that bad.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
So he'll he'll be gone.
Speaker 4 (24:06):
But career over, I say absolutely not zero percent chance anyway,
Tyreek here, career is over unless he wants it to
be over.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
That for me is and it's what you said. It
was such a routine play.
Speaker 4 (24:21):
It was such a tackle that we've seen time and
time again, and the player gets Yeah, that that to
me was you never want to see any player, I
don't care who he is, go down with that type
of jury. When I saw that, I was like, oh,
you almost couldn't even continue to look at the TV screen.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
Because it just did a routine ball on his shideline. Yeah. Man,
mind boggling.
Speaker 4 (24:51):
And a lot of the time the dB doesn't even
try to tackle you. He just pushes you out of
bounds because you have you're not going anywhere and with
that anyway, and so that's unfortunate. But I want to
put that out there now before all you experts. And
he's gonna lose a step, Yeah, okay, he gonna lose
a step, he's still faster than everybody else. He gonna
(25:13):
lose a step, and he's still faster than ninety five
percent of the players that's being in the NFL wide receiver.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
Yeah, that's that's all I want.
Speaker 4 (25:22):
I want the people that's gonna say that, because you
know the majority of these people, man, they be doing
all that talking and they don't realize like how fast
he is, how quick he is, the explosiveness. When he
loses a step, he ain't just like everybody else. He's
still faster and quicker than everybody else. So put that
in perspective when you talk about a Tyreek Kim, We're
(25:46):
gonna put this in perspective. We got to go to
these updates, got a little sports going on, a little
baseball playoffs.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
I love what you got for us.
Speaker 9 (25:56):
I was unaware of this new policy we apparently have
around here. Good morning, by the way, So let me
get this straight. If my favorite team loses, I get
an excused absence from work.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
Apparently that's what hey, Illo, that's what it looked like.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
That's what it lets.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
Turned into the new norm.
Speaker 4 (26:17):
I guess, hey, Ilo, I think he heard Plexico say
we are and they ain't.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
He didn't. He didn't want those problems. He didn't want that.
Speaker 9 (26:27):
Yeah, in his defense, yes he would have. He would
have been seared like an ah he tuna today for
two hours. So it still is a good policy. Nonetheless,
right now we have other alums worried about their favorite schools.
Number twelve, Georgia out to a seven to nothing lead
over Kentucky with three minutes left in the first quarter
(26:47):
on a seventy yard touchdown run by Gunner Stockton. Cincinnati
up ten to nothing over fourteenth ranked Iowa State with
four minutes left to play in the first quarter. Here's
how they did it. From Dan Horde Station WLW first.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
And ten from the Iowa State thirty.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
They give it to Prior a huge hole helpens up.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
He's pretty for the end.
Speaker 4 (27:08):
Towne touchdown faircats as Cincinnati stores on a thirty yard
spint by Evan Pryor.
Speaker 9 (27:17):
Purdue is up seven to nothing over number twenty two
Illinois with one twenty two left of the first quarter.
But right now Illinois has a second down and goal
at Purdue's eight yard line, and number twenty Michigan has
just tied Wisconsin at seven with six minutes. I know,
I know, Wisconsin getting on the board first on a
five yard touchdown run by Dylan Jones, Michigan tying it
(27:40):
moments ago on a Justice Haynes one yard touchdown run.
In Major League Baseball, the Seattle Times reports that the
Mariners are leaving All Star pitcher Brian Woo off of
their American League Division Series roster due to pectoral inflammation. Yeah,
he went fifteen and seven this year. Er under three.
They'll be hosting the Tigers tonight in Game one. Toronto
Blue Jays left shortstop, but Bo Baschett off their Alds
(28:04):
roster as well Bashet because of a left knee injury.
They'll be playing host of the Yankees at four oh
eight Eastern North of the Border. Guys, back to you.
Speaker 2 (28:13):
Man, I'm looking forward to these playoffs. I can't.
Speaker 4 (28:15):
I've rode that wild Card with some really good games.
Everybody win three games except for us. We made quick
working them boys, quick work too and done. But yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
we will get into that. The original Louisiana Hot Sauce
is the perfect balance of peppers, vinegars and salt wings,
nachosen burgers, hit any tailgate food with the boat hand
(28:38):
crafted flavor of the original Louisiana Hot Sauce. That's Louisiana Hot.
Buy you son, and are you gonna buy you some stock?
And the Dylan gabro He's been named the Browns starting quarterback.
Speaker 2 (28:59):
We talked about this before the season.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
I don't know what the hell the Cleveland Browns are
doing because we said this in about three to four games,
they gonna bitch Flacco and go to Dylan Gabriel Shadu Sanders.
Just go rewind the tape, go go look at archives
we said this, and here they are. You could have
just gone with one of these young fellas out the
(29:23):
gate and they'd have four games experience over two hundred
snaps in NFL live regular season games. So now they
gotta get going, are they? He will get going tomorrow?
Shader Sanders. It's not even a backup, he's still the third.
(29:43):
I don't know what this is why teams are historically bad.
Joe Flacco was a very very good player when he played.
You knew he was not your guy in the future,
but you still name him the starter. Dylan Gabriel's gonna start,
should your standards? Not even a backup, he's still third?
(30:04):
Like why is flack O the backup? But disfunctional teams
do dysfunctional things. And now people are saying, oh, should
there talk too much? He's doing this? So he does
a little pandamime interview where he just kind of moves
his mouth but he's not saying words, and now they
(30:24):
dissecting that. Man, let's unpack it. Man, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (30:31):
What's going on in Cleveland.
Speaker 5 (30:33):
I mean, I came into the league in two thousand
and I believe that the Cleveland Browns have had more
starting quarterbacks in the last twenty five years than any
organization in NFL history. They just can't seem to get
it right. Uh, there's no reason why should do saying
(30:58):
it should not be the backup when Joe Flacco goes
to the bench. So how is Joe Flacco.
Speaker 2 (31:07):
The backup?
Speaker 5 (31:08):
I get it, I understand, And it all points back
to Jimmy hasm the owner, saying that when Andrew Barry
drafted Shadora Sanders, even the owner said that he wouldn't
have made the pick. It was all Andrew Berry who
(31:29):
made this decision. And it says a lot to me
and to everybody else on the outside looking in, is
that the owner doesn't even want him to be a
part of this football team because he didn't even he
didn't even approve of the pick himself. So what happens
(31:53):
if Dylan Gabroe goes out and he doesn't play well?
So what do you do? Are you going to to
put Joe Flacco back in the football game after a
quarterback that you just benched this week?
Speaker 3 (32:10):
Nobody knows what these two guys are capable of.
Speaker 5 (32:14):
So I just don't understand how and why people are
saying I have this whole negative tone with your door
and he hasn't even a step on a football field yet.
That's what's crazy to me from you know, playing in this.
Speaker 3 (32:33):
League and.
Speaker 5 (32:35):
Everybody knows the whole thing, but that nobody cares about
who your dad is and he's getting all this attention
and media wise.
Speaker 3 (32:45):
And all those things. We haven't even.
Speaker 5 (32:47):
Seen them play the position yet during a regular NFL game.
So I just want to see what the Cleveland Browns
are going to do moving forward, because, yeah, they're not
going to win the division, They're not gonna make the playoffs.
So if you continue to have bad quarterback play, you
(33:10):
can't blame.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
It on nobody but yourself.
Speaker 5 (33:13):
So I just want to see what's going to happen
moving forward for this organization, because I mean, I don't
think that Dylan Gabriel is going to go on the
football field tomorrow and absolutely just light it up. So
what do you do moving forward if you're the Cleveland Browns.
(33:35):
If Dylan Gabriel does not go out and play well tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (33:41):
It's a ricky making his first start.
Speaker 4 (33:43):
When you anticipate him being competent, you anticipate him to
make some throws. You also anticipate him to have some
bad plays. This is the National Football League. It's a
Ricky making his first start ever. There's gonna be some
ups and downs, ebbs and flows, peaks and valleys, highs
(34:03):
and lows. That's just what's gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (34:07):
And so.
Speaker 4 (34:09):
Like, that's why you a guy like Dylan Gabriel played
a ton of snaps in college, a ton. A guy
like Shaderah Sanders played a ton of snaps. Although it
would have been tough for them to start week one.
To me, that's what you do. You make one of
them the week one starter. They didn't do that. Okay,
(34:31):
what's the plan moving forward? Do we have a plan
moving forward? I don't know. With Flacco being a backup
shows me you guys are just winging it. And this
is why certain teams can't win on the consistent basis.
Haven't won on a consistent basis. The Cleveland Browns have
(34:51):
a championship caliber defense. That's a fact. We can't say
the same about the other side of the ball. That's
what's holding him back. Like that defense is championship caliber.
Jim Schwartz is a very very good defensive coordinator, and
(35:12):
you know, people need to start looking at him.
Speaker 2 (35:14):
Is a head coaching canny. He can't control that. They
not winning, but they deed.
Speaker 4 (35:19):
Nobody has an easy day at the office when you
face that defense and what he has going on. Yeah,
you can say that as Miles Garrett has this got
it man, he's coordinating a great, great defense. Shadil Sanders
to me, just be a little more aware. When you
say something, they have something to say. When you don't
(35:40):
say something, they have something to say. Just be aware
of that. He probably thought, Okay, I'm not gonna say
anything and they'll leave me alone. Now they gonna talk
about that. So you just have a little more awareness
of everything you do and say is going to be magnified.
And that's the fact. We gotta take a break. We
got to get into some Lamar Jackson. When we get
(36:01):
back again, we'll talk a little little baseball in the
next hour, but before we do. NFL fans, what's your

We've got to be quick on this one, just like
he's been quick his entire year. Lamar Jackson. He not
(38:11):
playing this weekend and quite possibly we will miss a
few weeks that that's the report. Arthur Ravens. Is the
season over? Are they Super Bowl contenders? What do we
make of this?
Speaker 2 (38:28):
Man?
Speaker 3 (38:29):
I don't think the season's really necessarily.
Speaker 5 (38:32):
Over for the Baltimore Ravens because you know, obviously Joe
Burrows down, so we don't really see the Cincinnati Bengals competing.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
To win the divisions.
Speaker 5 (38:44):
I'm gonna just jump out the window and I think
the Pittsburg still is going to win the AFC North.
I really believe that. But for the Baltimore Ravens moving
forward without Lamar Jackson, I think you lean on Derrick Henry.
Feed him the football. You know, we've seen that he's
been having some issues with fumbling over the past two
(39:05):
or three weeks, but I believe that he's going to
short that up. And if you're if you're John Harborrow offensively,
I think you you know, you lean on his offensive
line and give Derek Henry the football, you know, throw
the ball off of play action, whatever the case may be.
But they still have a good enough team to win
(39:29):
games without Lamar Jackson. And that's why I always say,
ever since the whole when when Aaron Rodgers broke his
collar bone years ago, the backup quarter put back position
in the NFL has become one of the most coveted,
uh you know, jobs in all of football because nothing
(39:51):
is guaranteed if your quarterback goes down.
Speaker 3 (39:55):
You have to have a.
Speaker 5 (39:57):
Backup quarterback and certed into your offense that can go
out and manage football games and to not just you know,
lose the whole season because you're starting quarterback is not there,
so I think Baltimore will be fine if he four
(40:18):
or five games, if they can win you know, two
or three uh this month, I think they'll be fine.
But if Lamar Jackson is not healthy come November, I
don't see the Baltimore Ravens making the playoffs. But they
have a good enough defense to slow teams down. You
(40:40):
have Deck Henry, you have some quality wide receivers, so
lean on the running game. If Lamar Jackson is not
in and I think the Baltimore Ravens will be fine.
Speaker 4 (40:54):
I'll say this, if Lamar misses let's say three four games,
if Cooper rushed because he showed what the Dallas Cowboys.
He's a good backup quarterback. He can he can win games.
If they don't win game seasons over, he better at
least win. If he plays four games, he can win
to Yeah, I don't know how good the Steeters are.
(41:14):
They haven't really played a good team two years, two
years in a row. They've had an easy schedule at
the outset, so I don't know how.
Speaker 5 (41:20):
Good they are. Really, that's what you're doing. Yeah, scheduled?
What you mean?
Speaker 3 (41:26):
TJ? The who? Who?
Speaker 2 (41:29):
I know?
Speaker 5 (41:29):
You got hate for the for the stealers, but to
say they got the easiest schedule over the last if
you look at if you look at who they've played
at the outset of the start of the season, that
that's all I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (41:41):
No, no, no shade, no hate at all, because it's
I got a ton of respect for the Steels. Are
very good on defense. Offenses, Uh work in progress. That's
Ben has been gone and he's been gone a while.
I'll say this though about the Ravens, like last week,
like the average ten yards of Cary, why an't you
giving the ball to Dereck carry Oh, he's fumbling a lot,
(42:01):
so they don't. They didn't want to put the ball
in his hands because he's had a lot of early
season fumbles. Defense, you said their defense is good enough
to carry him. The defense has been a liability this year.
See we talking to Baltimore defense, or we you're talking
to Baltimore defense. Of what we're used to years past,
they've always been good on defense. This year not so much.
(42:26):
The defense is letting them down. The defense let Pat
Mahomes and the Chiefs go up and down the field.
When Pat Mahomes and the Chiefs can do defense. I
didn't say that the defense was stellar. I say they
have a good enough defense to sow slow teams down.
And I'm not sure that they do. Martin Humphrey, he's
out with a strained cap, so I'm not sure they do.
(42:46):
Lamar Jackson not playing. If but Cooper cups shown he
is shown with the Dallas Cowboys, I can win games.
If he can do that with the Ravens, they'll be fine.
We'll see what happens because defensively, I'm not sure that
the Ravens are what they need to be to keep
(43:07):
a team in a game, to keep their team in
a game, I'm not convinced of that. But that's why
we play the games. And time will tell Cooper Rush
go do work. We gotta go do some work. We
gotta go pay some bills. The first hours over. That's
Plexico Burus. I'm TJ. Houshmazata step on game Fox Sports Radio.
Will be right back
