Speaker 1 (00:01):
You don't listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
That's right, Martin Wise MOSSI belanos here as I'm watching
Mars Shall Reid run into the end zone on a
Fox Sports Football Saturday. Wait a minute to stretch that
Fox Sports Baseball Staturay. Scratched that Fox Sports Basketball Saturday.
Fox Sports Sports Saturday.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
That's what a day today.

Speaker 4 (00:19):
I'm glad you acknowledging all of it because I'm gonna
stop paying attention to you the minute first pitch happens
in Toronto.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
You know that you're gonna have to carry this for
the next three hours. Mari, I'm gonna be here with you.
Just know where my focus is gonna be.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Body here, mind, spirit, eyes, heart, and everything else will
be in Rogers Center spenter spelled, spent center spelled.

Speaker 5 (00:39):
Funny.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
Yeah, yeah, yep, funny not to them, well funny, you
know it was funny, not funny to you either.

Speaker 5 (00:46):
Was what happened in Game one of the World Series.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Yeah, I'll summarize it real quick, about six fifty.

Speaker 6 (00:53):
W w what what?

Speaker 7 (00:54):
What?

Speaker 8 (00:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Yeah, that was about.

Speaker 5 (00:57):
The recap Dodgers, I mean, blue big Dodgers. Little listen.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
So I went to the Clippers home opener.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
Yes, I know, after they let Utah score forty three
on them on their first game of the season. Yes,
fully aware in the first quarter, I already had to takeet,
so I couldn't back down. So I went to the
Clippers home opener into a dome, and they had the
Dodger game plane throughout the entire time, from the minute
started outside inside, so we were there early.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
So I watched. I watched that first.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
Inning, and I just instantly knew this is not gonna
go well. When it took Blake Snell twenty nine pitches
to get out of the first inning. Sure, I just
instantly had a nasty feeling about what was gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Now, I did think Toronto would win Game one.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
I did.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
I thought they were on they're on a high.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
They haven't had this in what thirty plus years, So
I thought they would win Game one. I just didn't
think they were gonna step on our throats in Game one.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
So I thought, and again, I have vacation here, Manzi
lives here all right in Dodger Land. I vacation every
every year for about two weeks or so.

Speaker 5 (02:02):
Now, I put my feet up and I ordered my
drinks Okay.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
So I'm not here.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
I'm not here all the time, all right, Okay, But
as I was watching the Dodgers through the postseason, I
am aware of the just marquee star power of the Dodgers.
I'm watching Mookie Betts, who you know, had struggles at
the plate. That's okay, he just tied defensive road saves
at shortstop in his first time ever playing short stop.

Speaker 5 (02:27):
That's yet, like before I hit a driver's license.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
All right, all right, dah impressive, right, and time he
can't hit in the playoffs, all right? Well, still, whenever
Freddy Freeman is on, he hits the ball and it's
like a beach ball just took off out of a cannon.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
Right, And it doesn't look like like he's trying right,
Like it just swings. Freddy Freeman looks like he's not
even trying to hit it that hard.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
It's just like like like watching somebody hit a golf
like a chip golf, yeah, and boom out of there. Okay,
And so I'm well aware of the star power and
all of that, but it felt to me that the
Dodgers will be the beneficiary of other teams doing dumb
things like the wheel play in Philadelphia.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
I get it.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
It was a great play by Mookie Betts. Why are
you sending Nick Cassianos from scoring position this closer scoring position?

Speaker 7 (03:14):
Right?

Speaker 5 (03:14):
You know what I'm saying, I forget his name round.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Yes, I was about to say I was gonna butcher it.

Speaker 5 (03:23):
But when he goes, you know, throws a home.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Guys been playing baseball since you could walk, that's always
a throw the first right Dodgers beneficiary. And the good
part of that is you're not putting yourself in positions
where you can do dumb thing right, and then you
get to the NLC. Yes, it's like, well, sure your
biggest weakness is the bullpen, but if you're starting pitchers

(03:45):
are just going to go, you know, twenty four to
twenty six outs.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
Who gives a damn right? Who cares?

Speaker 2 (03:53):
If your biggest weakness is candy and you never go
into the convenience store, you never have a weakness, you
know what I'm ever have a weakness. So I just thought,
what ended up happening in Game one is the Dodgers
fatal flaw rose his head again, and it's like, this
is if they were going to lose, this is how

(04:15):
you lose and then once it got to you know,
I get it, but once you get to like four
runs and five runs at that point where it's here.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
For style points, exactly exactly the style points that Tawny
had in what the sixth seventh INNYA where you hit
a two run shot where it was kind of like, Okay,
thank you for making it closer, but we are getting.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Our home run.

Speaker 6 (04:35):
That's it, cardboard check.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
I hear what you're saying. I don't fully agree. I
one hundred percent agree with the Philly series. I said
it on our Dodgers podcast with Ryan Berschinger and Bo Benson.

Speaker 5 (04:46):
The podcast Past Yes podcasts are sold.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
I thank you. I said, the Dodgers didn't win this game.
It's just that Philadelphia couldn't win. They literally could not win.
That's how the Dodgers ended up winning that series. So
I totally agree with you. But when it comes to Milwaukee,
why isn't it that the Dodgers pitching expose them?

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Why does it have to be that wee.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
Just you don't have a problem. My point is if
your starter, if you and your starters basically can erase
that weakness.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Absolutely, because Milwaukee came in with the intention of just
wait to get to the bullpen, just wait to get
to the bullpen.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
And they're like, wait, you're not sending your bullpen out right?
Oh that we all No, we don't have a plan
for this. We plan for your bullpen.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
And then Blake Snell and Yoshinobu Yamamoto said, uhah, not today.

Speaker 5 (05:30):
I think it's actually Yama Mota.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
Absolutely absolutely, Blake Snell walks o Yamamoto could run in
that second game absolutely and finished it right like absolutely,
But I in this game, I think Toronto does everything
that the Brewers did well and then some they do
have power hitters, but they make a lot of contact.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
Their plan was to fight at.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
The plate, like stay alive as long as you can
at the plate, even if you don't get on base,
stay alive as long and you could tell that was
their game plan. And they were just chipping and chipping
and chipping until one domino hit five dominoes, and I.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
Thought that's what the Brewers could have done.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
They just never got to chip because our starting pitching
was outstanding, outstanding.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
In that series.

Speaker 4 (06:16):
And then here we are where it's like Blake Snell
comes back down to reality even though he's great Toronto,
Toronto had the game plan tire him out.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
I'm telling you, twenty nine pitches in the first inning.
That's all I needed to see.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
And I get that people are looking at Game one
and saying, dude, uh you Savage, Yahoo, Trey you Savage.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
I mean.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Making seven games, I think, making more postseason starts than
he has in the regular season ever, starting Game one
of the World Series because of the way the rotation
broke down, because you got the fight to get to
that seventh game, excuse me, and win that seventh game
if you're the Blue Jays.

Speaker 5 (06:57):
So you see this.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Guy and you Savage was kind of all over the place. Yeah,
and the Dodgers weren't able to take advantage. And I
think that's one of the when you are so dependent
on your starting pitching and then your big bats and
like in your back end of your bullpen, because they
kind of stumbled into Sasaki as.

Speaker 5 (07:14):
The year went on totally and like kind of was.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
A revelation, like the whole like fifth inning, sixth inning
on was was was disaster time for the Dodgers for
most of the regular season, which is why they had
the regular season the record.

Speaker 5 (07:25):
They did right.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
And so when you see, like I think those teams
in particular, once you get the like oh you kind
of peter out, you threatening, but don't score on the
second inning.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
You threatening don't score in the third.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Now it's like, dude, you know, we got to put
up some numbers because if they call the bullpen, they're
gonna we are going to give up some of this rope.
We gotta score, we gotta score.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
It's just you're right, you're you're you're right.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
It was crazy to see because they knew they had
to score, but even down to like little things.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
Remember who was I was looking.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
He's not you because I was trying to think of
the guy's name for the Brewers who didn't who didn't
take the hit in the knee when the bases were loaded,
and it was like you would have been you would
have been a hero, like who cares, you don't need
your kneecap, but you didn't.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
You don't need your kneecap.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
And then you had was varshow you know, gets hit
and like the bases get loaded.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
It's like all of the things they knew.

Speaker 4 (08:19):
The Blue Jays were fully aware, we need to do
the tiny little things perfect to lead up to the
big moment, and they did.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Just get on base, just stay alive at the plate.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
Well show hayl tanis speaking to staying alive at the
play is digging in right here, right now.

Speaker 5 (08:33):
You heard. She is the host of the Sick podcast
on the Dodgers, her and Bersh and both too.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
If you're familiar with Fux with radio, you know those names.
They'll be around tomorrow. So Manzi Manzi or prediction?

Speaker 4 (08:45):
I I okay, So prior to yesterday, I predicted that
the Dodgers would have a gentleman's sweep. They would lose
Game one, win Game two and finish here in La.

Speaker 5 (08:55):
Also, you're on track, I.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
Am, but I don't like the way Game one was loss,
you know. And it's not that Toronto can't win. I
just like you said, there's three MVPs on the Dodgers' roster.
We have all of the stars, and Toronto has got
Vladimirgerreiro Junior. They have Dalton Varshow they have these upcoming

(09:17):
stars and they're they're later part of the batting order.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
Was delivering for them in the postseason and.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
In this last series, and then I just wasn't expecting
them to to really carry so much momentum into game
one and now game two. I'm worried, but the Dodgers
needed to even it out. And it looks like sho
heo Tani just yeah, it's.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
A right listen.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
He struck out was starting the game yesterday, so to
tray is savage.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
So we'll see, we'll see.

Speaker 4 (09:47):
I still think the Dodgers win this, but it's a
lot harder to win on the road.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
It is a lot harder to win on the road.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
I was kind of lean into the Blue Jays initially
because I did think that the Dodgers' bullpen eventually.

Speaker 5 (09:57):
Would would yeah, yes, I thought that would just eventually
be the issue there.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
And I like, like, I Toronto Dodgers have a lot
of marquee names. The Blue Jays team to me to
have a lot of guys that are just consistent.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
Oh but shat, yeah, like they have they have names
that are you know.

Speaker 4 (10:13):
But and another big advantage that I thought coming into
it is none of the starting rotation for Toronto none
of them are left handers, which is an advantage for
the Dodgers.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
Sure, so I that was another thing, you know.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
I was like I'm gonna give the edge here to
the Dodgers one more time, just because you have believers
that are going to come in, but your starting rotation
is right handed.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
That helps the Dodgers.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
The Texas Longhorns there got it, and I stopped watching
a twenty four point fourth quarter to come back and
force overtime. March Manning leaves the field due to injury.

Speaker 5 (10:47):
Jeff Levy grabs his head set.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
He's serious. You can't believe they blew it in Starkville,
And uh, it was to me a true blow it
in Starkville when you see the way this Texas office
is played.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
Arch Manning not finishing the game, but they'd have a
good fourth quarter. Had a bad first three.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Oh yeah, a terrible first three.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
I stopped watching it at halftime was I was like,
this isn't happening. Missus is gonna win this one easily.
Like it was absolutely embarrassing.

Speaker 5 (11:13):
It's a tough look, you know.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
We saw some reports today out of the athletic from
one Diana Russini saying perhaps Steve Sarkesian may be interested
in heading out. Similarly, two of the team, the Tennessee Titans,
who once left Texas to go to Tennessee. Maybe he
leaves Texas to go to Tennessee. Moving on from archer
Manning to Camp Mood. One of them makes less money

(11:36):
than the other.

Speaker 5 (11:36):
Had's better talk about that.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
But Yo, Seeing that red Ochris logo on those baseball
postseason helmets, that's Strauss trusted by the pros worldwide International.

Speaker 5 (11:48):
They got it.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
They got the same red Oxtrich in Canada and in
la I promise you pants built like tools, durable, comfortable,
an engineered to perform from grit to glory. Gear up
at Strauss dot com. That's str a Uss dot com.
Freddy Freeman up to bad Dodgers. So far, I've gone one,
two up and two down. Tennessee getting ready, are kicking

(12:09):
off now against Kentucky. Tennessee has had a rough last
three four weeks in college football, so win some losses.
I think that they need to go ahead and really
put the like just B to A to the wildcast
this year. Kentucky wants to fire their coach so bad.
Tennessee should give them the opportunity to do so right here.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
Help him out, make it easy for them, help him out.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
Should give them the opportunity to do so for sure,
Michigan and Michigan State in a in state rivalry game
and also an end show rivalry game. Mary Mac, I'm
looking at you. I don't care. I'm looking right back
at you. Yeah yeah, Mary Mack, big time beef.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
It's okay.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
We'll see what it is.

Speaker 5 (12:47):
Yeah, we're gonna see what it is. You'll see just
exactly what it is. And I'll tell you this.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Remember the other day we was talking about you can't
lose Northwestern, Like, no Big ten teams lose Northwestern in
the Michigan rivalry. Yep, if you lose in Michigan State,
you better have a damn good reason.

Speaker 5 (13:05):
That's all.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
You better have a damn good reason. Jack, the better
be a damn good Like a couple of years ago,
Harball losses say, oh, Kenneth Walker was like, oh, first
of all, it's a pretty good it's pretty good reason.
Kenneth Walker was running left, right, up and down. He's ahead,
mind you.

Speaker 6 (13:22):
I'm pretty sure I was in high school when that happened.

Speaker 5 (13:24):
So and that's and that's the last time that happened.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Yeah, I know. Let's hope though. You know, tables turn
this spooky season, it's time for order in general to
be restored just across the world. This right here is
a clear sign. A Michigan win is a clear sign
the universe university.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
Okay, all right, so good luck.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
There was a lot of NBA news that came out
the season started, and then Adam Silver went to bed
and had exactly one night of eight hours of sleep
so far in the NBA sea. We'll get into some
of that and how it's impacted the NFL because it's
got people going back and put an asterisk on the
practice report. Okay, I don't know you could do that.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
Nobody can.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Didn't find out a whole of the X ray glasses.
What are we talking about?

Speaker 5 (14:13):
What is it?

Speaker 2 (14:13):
I mean, everybody's made the joke, but this is Osh's
eleven casino rounders, you know, all of that what they
need to make you know what? I cannot wait for
the Netflix documentary that's gonna come out in two weeks
about this.

Speaker 5 (14:26):
We wait it. We'll get to that just a moment.

Speaker 2 (14:29):

was that Thursday? NBA tips? Was it NBA tipped on?

Speaker 6 (15:34):
What day you may tipped off?

Speaker 4 (15:35):
The official first day was Tuesday night, but it was
only a double huader, and then Wednesday was like ten
more games and then Thursday another double huader got you.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
So we had the doubleheader, watched, uh, watched who's in
that double the first one?

Speaker 5 (15:49):
And Warriors Lakers and Warriors.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
Right, So that was the Lebron sitting on his throne
on the bench as Luca went off in a loss.
But then you see the night Victor winbin Yama puts
out one a performance that was.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
Like unreal almost It is.

Speaker 5 (16:08):
One of you know what it made me think of?

Speaker 2 (16:11):
This is must have been what it was like the
first time they had a running quarterback, do you know
what I'm saying, Like the first time, Like I know
that Mike Vick, like you know what I'm saying, and
Randall Cunningham and all the.

Speaker 5 (16:24):
But like the first guy whoever was like it was like.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Yo, wait a minute, you mean to tell me that
guy's fashion in our receivers and he throws the ball
off better than anybody on the team. Like that, That's
the only thing I could really or like even maybe
the O tawany thing when it first started, right like
when you're like watching like but even then it wasn't
on I mean, obviously it's a regular she's an NBA
game that's trying to be too you know, aggressive, But

(16:51):
O tiny he saw in like games that really didn't matter.
This was against the upcoming number one pick and Cooper
Flag and so on, and the thing was crazy about
that even crazier the entire story was he raised immediately
because as soon as you woke up, you should have
been getting oh wem ben Yama, Alien are human right,
Cooper flag bust in his first half. You know all

(17:14):
of that.

Speaker 5 (17:14):
No, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
About you got, you got Chauncey Billups took Terry Roseer.
Clink clink clink. That's the sound of the.

Speaker 5 (17:23):
Jail sale, buddy.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
All these allegations of people who were betting on games
and selling them, selling Parlay's as the kids called selling
the parlay and Chauncy Phillips even more sinister with the
accusations to him and Damon Jones. Who did you did
you remember Damon Jones? I heard him immediately.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
I had to go look it up and make sure
there was like the guy.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
I was thinking that is.

Speaker 5 (17:46):
A very like that could just a John Smith.

Speaker 8 (17:48):
Type name exactly.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
And I was like, oh, I do remember this is
the guy.

Speaker 4 (17:51):
I was thinking at the time that all all of
it is so messy.

Speaker 3 (17:55):
It's so messy. Victor Wan Banyama's performance maybe like a
video game.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
That's the other example where it's like you can't really
do this in life, but I can do it in
the video game, and that's what it felt like. Watching
victor Ian Banyama on Wednesday. It was insane. But the
news the next morning you.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
Were just like, hold on, how bad is this? Let
me go read the details.

Speaker 4 (18:12):
I woke up to a bunch of text from people,
people saying like, oh, lucky you Clippers are no longer
being looked at, Like this is now gonna be what
everyone's gonna pay attention to.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
Lucky for you, and that anonymous tip comes into it, though.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
I didn't come from into it. Whatever it was I
went into look at the details. I was like, oh,
this is bad, this is messy. I was confused at first.

Speaker 4 (18:35):
I was like, Terry Rozier, didn't the league investigate him
and then cleared him? And now the FBI is getting involved.
And with Chauncey Billups, mister big shot. Oh that's that's
almost that's worse right than you betting on your team.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
Then you like what you did? That sounds so bad.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
So I think I have to separate some to me,
let's go break it down here. Poker game part of it.

Speaker 3 (18:59):
The poker part of it, thank you.

Speaker 5 (19:02):
This is not a conspiracy is not to me. The
poker game.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Part of it is like that is to me is
just active theft, because that what they're alleging, as I
understand it, is that they know the game is rigged,
Like if I knew a poker game was rigged. And
I also know that Manzi and me make this big
old radio money, right, So I say, Manzi, I know

(19:29):
you like to you know, shuffle cards a bit. Whytn't
to come on down to you know big gems on
Tuesday we play cards. It's a lot of fun. Me
knowing that me I'm about to take Manzi's check. That
to me is like reaching in your pocket and taking
your money.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
Absolutely absolutely, Now I don't have.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
You know, my legality does not define my morality.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
I don't have a big problem with the concept with
the concept of an.

Speaker 5 (19:56):
Illegal poker game.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
Makes it legal is somebody taking money out of the
pot to fund the game?

Speaker 5 (20:03):
All right?

Speaker 2 (20:03):
Cool game is now if you're cheating in the game,
I can't get with that. The unders betting on the
like the the Terry Rogier.

Speaker 3 (20:14):
Thing, straight to Jil, guilty, straight to Jil.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
That's some of the dumbest And I know we joke
about the guilty thing. These are accusation. We have sports,
These are accusations. Betting on professional sports as a professional
athlete is like being a drug dealer and buying your
drugs from an undercover cop because he gives you a discount.

(20:40):
Like you should know that the person that you are
participating with, the undercover cop or the sports book are
the people that are eventually going to turn you in. Right,
it's eventually going to turn you in. That I honestly,
I think happened probably more than we know. But now
that it's all top of board, we see and hear

(21:03):
all of the different times in which it does happen
because ho's betting all that money on a Terry Rozier
under who you know what I mean, and so like that,
it becomes very obvious.

Speaker 4 (21:14):
In those moments, right, it's hard to be like Rozier,
why did you How did you think you were gonna
get away with this? Like how when someone presented to
you these options to do these things, how are you.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
Like, yeah, this is a good idea. I can get
away with this. I don't understand. But Martin, like, come on,
Betting is everywhere.

Speaker 4 (21:33):
It is literally everywhere you turn left and right, and
for the NBA.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
The face of the NBA, Lebron James, has commercials telling
you to go bet. ESPN has commercials telling you to
go bet.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
They're talking about the this whole thing with Chelsea Billips
on ESPN, and then suddenly they take away the bright
yellow bet ESPN logo.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
You just take it away subtly. It's everywhere.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Right now, we are in Sherman Oaks, California, and I
could walk out within a square mile or not even
a mile, a square block, and I could buy almost
any type of alcohol I wanted, Yes, almost any type
of alcohol. I want to hell, you extended three square blocks.
You could buy all type of stuff around here legally
walking into the store with just a driver's license. Right,

(22:22):
I grew up, I will I remember vividly the cores
like Cold Hard six Pack on ESPN, right, and they
would break down these are It would be a sports
center at six and it would be breaking down the
six biggest stories of the day. I used to look
forward to the cores like Cold Heart six Pack or
to that point, the Cappy More, the Captain Morgan Happy Hour,

(22:44):
which had PTI and around the Horn. I'm not sure
if it's still the Captain Morgan Happy Hour, but for
most of my formative years, that's what it.

Speaker 11 (22:52):
Was called Live. I'm so shick and tired hearing Oh
it's everywhere what it was supposed to do about it?
How about not that's what you're supposed to do. You're
supposed to not do it. That's what you're supposed to do.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
I agree with that, you're still not. I have no
sympathy for Terry Rozier. I don't at all. You are
literally a professional player. People would kill cut their legs
off to be able to play professionally and.

Speaker 5 (23:15):
Haven't experienced much harder, but they would.

Speaker 4 (23:18):
They absolutely would, So why would you do this to yourself?

Speaker 3 (23:21):
So I have no sympathy. I am just saying my
point in pointing that out.

Speaker 4 (23:25):
It's not going away like this is stuff that I
think we're going to see more and more.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
I actually don't think so. I actually I don't think so.
And you know what, I'll tell you why after Steve
de Seger tells you what's going on A game series
of game series, World Series Game two and everything else,
college football, Halo and by.

Speaker 8 (23:43):
The way, can we just make the general statement that
as far as greed, greedy tend greedy people tend to
deserve to be caught. Because Terry Rose here has grossed
over one hundred million dollars in his career.

Speaker 3 (23:55):
What are we doing?

Speaker 2 (23:56):
What are we doing?

Speaker 3 (23:57):
We are we doing?

Speaker 8 (23:57):
Exactly by the way. I like the analogy you had
with the poker there, Martin, until you mentioned the phrase
big old rating of money, and then I just couldn't follow.
No such deal, Peter, Then I'm not mature enough. There's
nobody here on a Saturday that is making one quote
big old Radio Bundy. Game two of the World Series

(24:20):
is on Fox TV right now, and it's top seed
from the American League Toronto, seemingly on the doorstep of
tying the Dodgers one one, bottom of the first. It's
one nothing LA for the moment. Yoshinobu Yamamoto on the
mound for the Dodgers. He's given up a leadoff double
and single, but they've gotten a strikeout and a lineout
in the infield, so the runners are still at first

(24:40):
and third, two outs. Bottom of the first. The Dodger
run came with two outs, nobody on, and then a
Freddie Freeman double and a Will Smith RBI single off
tonight's Toronto starter Kevin Gosman. All the games in the
series start at about eight pm Eastern time on Fox TV.
Game three will be Monday night in LA. By the way,
Toronto infielder bobash did not start tonight. He did start

(25:02):
Game one last night, after the spring knee had kept
him out since early September. He was playing second base
last night, not short for the first time since a
minor leaguer. He was one of the rare three hundred
hitters in baseball this year, as batting average was three
to eleven with ninety four RBIs Yamamoto with a strikeout
looking to end the first Dodgers still lead at Toronto

(25:23):
one nothing end of one. Amazingly, in college football, at
six ranked Oregon, it's scoreless nearing halftime the Ducks against
the Wisconsin Badgers, who are zero to four in conference play.
Also amazing it is halftime at ninth ranked Miami, and
the Hurricanes are tied with Stanford seven to seven. Boston
College one in six this year is leading at nineteenth

(25:46):
ranked Louisville ten to seven in the second quarter. Number
three Texas A and m leads at LSU fourteen to seven.
Early in the second end of one. Michigan leads ten
nothing at Michigan State, Spartan's oh to four in the
Big Ten Conference. Tennessee leads at Kentucky fourteen to seven
late in the first Houston added to a three to
ninheing lead at number twenty four Arizona State that's late

(26:08):
in the first. And Texas, which is ranked twenty second
in the country, which apparently means they are one of
the twenty five best college football teams we have seen
this year. And by the way, their name is Texas,
so they get votes. Let's just say they haven't passed
the eye tests. If they were just this close to
being two and two in conference and they score seventeen

(26:28):
points at the end of regulation to send it to
ot and win at Mississippi State in the overtime forty
five thirty eight, a Mississippi State team that is zero
to four in conference play. We had Indiana right second,
ripping UCLA today fifty six to six. Number four Alabama
with a couple of late touchdowns, won at South Carolina
twenty nine to twenty two. Georgia Tech and Texas Tech

(26:51):
with home wins. Old miss won at Oklahoma thirty four,
twenty six. Vanderbilt at home edge Missouri seventeen to ten
BYU gave up an early long bomb for a touchdown,
but still one at Iowa State forty one to twenty seven.
Virginia ranked sixteenth, is seven and one three recent wins
in overtime, including at North Carolina seventeen sixteen. Today, Memphis

(27:12):
outscored eighteen ranks South Florida seventeen to nothing. Fourth quarter,
beat USF thirty four thirty one, and it was Washington
over twenty. Third ranked Illinois forty two to twenty five.
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson out again Sunday had been questionable
with a bad hamstring. He's been out for a month now.
Chicago's at Baltimore Ravens have lost four straight back to you.

Speaker 5 (27:34):
Thanks Steve.

Speaker 2 (27:34):

Speaker 5 (27:48):
So we were just.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
Talking about the gambling scandal that rock the nation. You know,
I saw FBI director Cash Bettel saying that this is
the insider training of the NBA. I think a lot
of that it's a bit overblown because Terry Rosier was

(28:12):
caught so quickly and Jontay Porter was caught so quickly,
and like, because my dad always said.

Speaker 5 (28:22):
If you're gonna break the law, do it big.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
Do it once right, you know what I'm saying, multiple time, Yeah,
multiple times for a little bit. If you go, if
you gonna rob a bank, don't rob it for twenty dollars,
you know what I mean. And so that's but that
will be how if you're going to stand how you
would have to do this right.

Speaker 5 (28:37):
You would have to do it every game.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
I'm gonna try to go my under, don't bet it
at this time or bet my over this time to
throw people. Ain't nobody doing all that? You people are
not world renowned criminals. You are not Danny Ocean. You
know what I'm saying. You're not doing that.

Speaker 5 (28:52):
You're getting caught because you're dumb, all right.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
You're dumb enough to try this in the first place,
which makes you know that's how you're smart, and you're
not smart enough to get away with it.

Speaker 3 (28:59):
Just there's a lot of dumb people out there.

Speaker 5 (29:01):
But I see, but I think we'll end up happening
right after a while.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
You have so many people who are doing this for
such little amount, because this is what I think is
actually the gray area that's tough about this. I'm in
several different group chats with and some of them have
active players in different sports.

Speaker 5 (29:21):
Right.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
There will be times where it's like a guy will say, yeah, no,
my ankle is way worse than you saying that, but yo,
I don't want to play like it hurts, right, or
vice versa and stuff like that. What's to stop me
from turning around and using that information right that I

(29:44):
am not beholden to any of the rules that that
athlete or that coaches beholding to.

Speaker 5 (29:51):
Right they are.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
So what ends up happening is it becomes the owners
falls deeper and deeper onto the players to be more
and more secret, because that's how now Terry Rozier in
this seemed to be overt right. But the thing that
I can't square the circle around on the Chauncey billups
part of it in the in the games right before

(30:14):
two days ago or before three whatever it broke, if
I had told you are the Portland Trailblazers trying to win?

Speaker 5 (30:21):
What would you have said, exactly?

Speaker 2 (30:25):
Do you know what I'm saying if I had told you,
are the Trailblazers putting out their best effort to win
every single game they play.

Speaker 5 (30:31):
It is not even an open secret.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
It's a fact accepted among NBA world that the Trailblazers
are trying to lose. Now, this argument all falls apart
because Chauncey Billups also indicted in all these other different things.
We think it is right, well, all right, but if
I'm on if I'm on the phone with a buddy
and I'm like, yeah again, we're sitting Dame again, We're

(30:55):
sitting seat again. Yeah, Danny's playing twenty six minutes to
night again, Like why from on high? Like obstensibly complaining
about my job?

Speaker 5 (31:05):
Right?

Speaker 2 (31:05):
Do you know what I'm saying to a friend of mine?
What's to stop it from saying, oh, hey, I see
I got this before shops, I'm about to We'll go ahead,
put my little da right now. So I think that
that is.

Speaker 5 (31:16):
Where people say, oh, it's a slippery slope, Da Da.

Speaker 2 (31:19):
Those are the things that I think would be a
shame to see people caught up in those are the
people I'd be more concerned about. I think this where
somebody says, hey, make sure that d Jones gets enough
to get paid on the undertwo.

Speaker 5 (31:33):
This won't last for much longer.

Speaker 4 (31:34):
So I hear what you're saying because you're putting out
like the big picture of it, and you're right, But
I do think the little picture of it is the problem.
Like if there is this type of I agree Terry
Rigier's decision.

Speaker 3 (31:46):
To do all of this is kind of stupid and silly,
and I don't.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
See another player doing it, especially now that this has
come to light. But I think it just puts into
perspective that it's hard to believe that there that there
isn't funny business going on, even for minor things. It's
hard to believe that there isn't it.

Speaker 5 (32:04):
Does it? Maybe I'm naive?

Speaker 6 (32:07):
Maybe yeah, you are absolutely.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
It legitimately does not make me question but the results
of like like it, Scott Foster goes go for it
to ref a game.

Speaker 4 (32:21):
You don't think that he is going to extend the
series or extend like here there his connection with what's
the ref the original ref in the NBA back then
there's a relationship there.

Speaker 3 (32:31):
There is a connection there.

Speaker 4 (32:33):
So it's just kind of like, to me, I don't
I can't bet because I don't trust it.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
So I think that's the problem. But so and I
would say this, if you feel that you can't trust it,
I would suggest not betting, correct, right, if you don't
want to bet.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
And I don't think most people think like you and
either were like, we're not invested in this, but there's
a lot of people that are.

Speaker 2 (32:53):
But to me, what is more likely than not right,
is that Scott Foster is one of the best the
NBA tams.

Speaker 5 (33:01):
Scott Foster would be one of the better referees that
they have. Right.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
The playoffs are deemed to be some of the more
important games that the NBA has.

Speaker 5 (33:10):
Right.

Speaker 2 (33:12):
How many times in general are you seeing four game series,
five game series and matchups where there's similar talent? Not many, right,
Like you can kind of if you go back and look,
just off the top of my head, I don't.

Speaker 5 (33:25):
I can't do the math on it, but like, you're.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
More likely to see more Game sevens than you are
to see Game four closeouts in the span of the
NBA postseason, Right, So it stands to reason that call
Foster would officiate those games more often.

Speaker 5 (33:41):
I understand that's not fun, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
I understand that's not Like it's a lot sexier to
think that Bigfoot fell from the moon and that's the
reason why Chris Paul can't win a closeout game, right,
But the reality is, to me a lot of times,
there's a very logical through line between most of these things. Now,
when you're talking about the Johntay Porters and the Terry Roziers,

(34:03):
the biggest red flag is who in the hell is
betting two hundred thousand dollars on Terry Rozier, Like nobody,
like you know what I'm saying, just on the raw
amount of bread that it will require. That's why I'm saying,
if they were really smart about it, if you're a
guy like Johntay Porter, you would be telling people when

(34:25):
to take the overs, when to take your overs, because
those are the ones that you have.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
More that people don't necessarily flag.

Speaker 5 (34:33):
Well, well, it's also too it's is gonna be less flag.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
But also if you're playing fifteen minutes a game, it's
a lot easier to manipulate your under so like I
would say bet my under every day and then on
certain days I will tell you to bet the over.
But again, nobody's thinking long term with this. Nobody's thinking
how to scam the long time. Everybody is thinking how

(34:57):
can I get rich quick? Because the thing about Terry
was here in the last gonna say on it real
quick and if you have.

Speaker 3 (35:01):
More albums, no, no, no, we're good.

Speaker 2 (35:02):
Last. So the thing with Terry Rose is like, yeah,
Terry Zier has made a ton of money in his life,
but you know who hasn't everybody else that knows Terry
Rose Here. And I don't tell that as a slight
to his family or anything, but I would bet you
that from the moment that Rosier's family was started from
great great granddad Rose Here to Terry Rose Here has
made more money than all of them combined. And that

(35:24):
is simply a fact of what he signs.

Speaker 5 (35:26):
His W two for.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
Okay, Like the idea that Terry's buddy that from his
high school team could be like YEO, I'm gonna take
the count up the money.

Speaker 5 (35:35):
It is not.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
It feels like stee like I could see I could
see where it would feel like stealing from Walmart sure, right, Like,
should you steal from Walmart? No, but they got they
got it.

Speaker 4 (35:46):
They're fine, they're gonna be That's different than stealing from you.

Speaker 2 (35:49):
Right.

Speaker 4 (35:50):
So the last thing I'll say, I just feel like
with how much gambling is being pushed, these stories come
out and it's like, that's not gonna work out for
these partnerships.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
Like it can go very bad if the minute people feel.

Speaker 4 (36:03):
Like you and me Martin that we're just like, you
know what, who I don't really bet, Like, I'm just
gonna watch the games for fun, the more people turn
to that side, then it's gonna go really bad.

Speaker 3 (36:11):
With all these partnerships and sports.

Speaker 2 (36:13):
The benefit that the partnerships have is they're the ones
turning people in.

Speaker 7 (36:16):
Right.

Speaker 2 (36:16):
If you're doing this on BETMGM, bet MGM will snitch
on you. Yeah, And I would, just as a piece
of advice, if you are a professional athlete or even
a college athlete, I'm gonna speak for the next thirty seconds,
I would not take this advice. I would not tune
in if I was you to the best pregame show
every weekend on Fox Sports Radio, count On the Kickoff,

(36:37):
resented by bet MGM. If in fact, I am paid
to play sports. If in fact, I am not like
ninety eight percent of the rest of us jack hole's
on the planet, I would tell you every Saturday and
Sunday morning, we'll count you down all the biggest games
for three hours, right up to kick off, for the
best plays and up to the second injury news. Again,
if you are a person whose injury may impact the

(36:58):
outcome of one of these games, do not follow this advice.

Speaker 5 (37:02):
However, if you just rehab.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
Like the rest of us, tune in the countdown to
Kickoff resented by bet MGM every Saturday and Sunday morning
right here on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
You're listening to. Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
Comes to your lion from the Fox Sports Radio studios.
It's Martin Wisse Monton Blos World Series Game two on
tap right now. Dodgers with the one run lead, one
to nothing, Michigan leaeds Michigan State ten to six. You know,
he's just keeping everybody abreast of all the important undefeated
Texas A and m up on LSU Steve de Seger
will have everything at the top of the hour, Montau.

Speaker 4 (37:40):
Martin question for you, Yes, else you have to win
this game, right to like, keep their playoff hopes alive.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
Oh, to keep their playoff hopes alive. Absolutely, for Brian
Kelly to keep his real esses together, he's gonna need
to win this game as well. The hot the seat
is getting hot over there, and with the interest rates
these days, BK, you're gonna want to try to stay
a Yeah, let's play a quick abbreviating game of sports.

Speaker 6 (38:04):
Cord all right, Martin, all right, Monci Guys.

Speaker 12 (38:09):
Sean Payton took a perceived shot at his former quarterback
Russell Wilson this week, saying he had hoped the Giants
would keep him as the starter instead of putting in
Jackson Dart. Then Russell Wilson took to Twitter and said classless,
but not surprise, he didn't realize you're still bounty hunting
fifteen years later through the media.

Speaker 6 (38:25):
Guys, is Sean Payton guilty of being classless?

Speaker 4 (38:29):
Yes, Sean Payton, you are absolutely guilty of being classless, and.

Speaker 3 (38:33):
You didn't even own up to it after you should
have owned it.

Speaker 4 (38:36):
You pretended like what, No, I didn't mean that, but
I can see why he saw that.

Speaker 3 (38:41):
No, absolutely guilty.

Speaker 5 (38:43):
That's why he's guilty right there. Yes, don't you throw us?

Speaker 2 (38:47):
Don't don't throw a stone and hide your hand. No,
I was talking about to Russ Yes, same Russe. I
cut yeah, day and on the pit youth, let's talk
about you.

Speaker 5 (38:58):
Yes, that's what he should say.

Speaker 12 (39:01):
Guys, Mavericks. Once again, we're chanting fire Nico Mavericks fans.
That is, as the Mavericks have started zero to two
and reports are there no contract extensions happening in Dallas?
Is Nico guilty of taking this franchise? Or are the
fans guilty of classless chance?

Speaker 3 (39:16):
Oh, Nico's guilty forever.

Speaker 4 (39:18):
Whatever you present to me when it comes to Nico Collins, guilty.

Speaker 5 (39:22):
Streets Nico, Nico Harrison, Yes, because.

Speaker 3 (39:29):
He's not play.

Speaker 2 (39:32):
Lego Collins out. Nico Harrison not yet out, hopefully out
For the Mavericks fans, I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (39:37):
Guilty, all right.

Speaker 12 (39:39):
Bill Belichick is still seeking his first acc win as
North Carolina falls literally and in short of upsetting Virginia
in overtime, and instead of going for one and in
overtime and forcing doublet he went for two and got tackled,
resulting in that seventeen sixteen losses Belichick guilty of blowing it?

Speaker 2 (39:56):
Oh, blowing this game? No, I would have went the
two as well. I watched the game. Move was back
and forth. Uh, guilty of stealing money from the University
of North Carolina between he and Michael LOMBARDA.

Speaker 5 (40:09):
Absolutely, yeah, I don't think.

Speaker 3 (40:11):
He was guilty. I would have gone for two as well.

Speaker 4 (40:13):
I think I don't think he believed in his team
going to another overtime and trying to stop them again.

Speaker 3 (40:18):
But uh, maybe guilty.

Speaker 4 (40:20):
Of other things, sure, but not guilty of blowing that game.

Speaker 2 (40:22):
No.

Speaker 5 (40:23):
Who was built guilty of blowing the game last night?

Speaker 2 (40:25):
Was it Blake Snell or Dave Robinson? Oh, y'all gotta
give David break man.

Speaker 3 (40:33):
I got you do.

Speaker 2 (40:37):
Get out there and pitch himself.

Speaker 5 (40:38):
What is he supposed to do?

Speaker 2 (40:40):
Blake Snell? I've pitched twenty seven out, Blake. I need you.
He's right.

Speaker 9 (40:45):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in

Speaker 2 (40:56):
You know, I w se Vladimir Guerrero is a streaky
hitter and right now, yeah, he's on a hot streak.

Speaker 3 (41:05):
Yeah, he's been playing real well.

Speaker 4 (41:07):
He played really well against the Yankees, then cooled down
and kind of picked up again.

Speaker 5 (41:14):
As he just hit a single to move runners to
the corners.

Speaker 2 (41:17):
Now I'm a mode of forty two pitches in the
bottom of the third inning, one third of the way
through that John Schneider.

Speaker 5 (41:23):
I've listened to.

Speaker 2 (41:24):
A lot of his press conferences recently because again, that's mine,
it's my ick. But uh, I like him, Yeah, he
seems to I like him. He's like a no nonsense
type of guy, but also seems to be like he's
a good guy to work for.

Speaker 4 (41:39):
And then yesterday putting in that pinch hitter who hit
the Grand Slam first pinchhit Grand Slam in World Series history.

Speaker 3 (41:44):
It's like, did you have that plan all along?

Speaker 2 (41:47):
You know?

Speaker 3 (41:48):
Was that what you were gonna do?

Speaker 2 (41:49):
If I was a manager, I would be like, of course, duh, dull,
Why do you think I did it?

Speaker 7 (41:56):
You know?

Speaker 3 (41:57):
Because that was nuts? That was nuts.

Speaker 5 (42:00):
They're in the MLB post season.

Speaker 2 (42:01):

Very nice, Alejandro, Oh ele Alejandro le Alejandro.

Speaker 2 (42:26):
I hope that he uh is good about his size?

Speaker 3 (42:31):
Did you hear?

Speaker 5 (42:32):
I was Lord a mercy Dide.

Speaker 2 (42:34):
You know, Alejandro Kirk is fat and run slow? The
entire broadcast. I'm like, yeahl.

Speaker 3 (42:40):
Not just that. Even on a five seventy before. Oh
maybe it was I don't know what.

Speaker 4 (42:45):
We were listening to on our way to the Clipper
game and they mentioned something about Alejandro Kirk and my
girlfriend was like, oh, is he big?

Speaker 3 (42:52):
And he was like, he's like he's on the thicker side.
Because of the way they we're.

Speaker 4 (42:57):
Talking about him, I was like, yeah, he's a you know, stocky.

Speaker 7 (43:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (43:02):
They make him sound like he's you know, like they did.

Speaker 3 (43:05):
They made him sound so much worse than he actually is.

Speaker 2 (43:07):
It's a miracle this guy can run around the basis.
Oh my goodness.

Speaker 13 (43:13):
I was like, no, he's a catcher, he's you know,
all right, So let's let's send let's look into the
oh one last note, So, MONSI, I did my grad
school thesis in Big Jay's journalism school.

Speaker 5 (43:24):
That's right, Yeah, I'm one of them.

Speaker 2 (43:26):
I did my grad school thesis on the impact of
the legalization of gambling on the four nor the four
major North American sports, and one of the things that
I learned in that research for the University of Southern
California is the reason for the injury reports. Injury reports
resist for one reason only. It is not to make

(43:48):
sure fans know who's playing or not to make sure
they can buy their tickets. It is not to you know,
make everything is a fair playing field on the up
and up for you know your opponent.

Speaker 5 (43:57):
It is not.

Speaker 2 (43:58):
Any of those things. The injury report was instituted in
the early nineteen hundreds four gambling.

Speaker 5 (44:07):
That is the only reason it exists, sole reason that
it exists, and.

Speaker 2 (44:12):
It is to be sure that you can't use your
inside information to know if a guy is out or
not out whatever prior to That's why the hell have
to be disclosed.

Speaker 5 (44:25):
Lee fact checked this. I want to say the first
injury report was nineteen twenty three.

Speaker 3 (44:29):
That'd be impressive if you got that.

Speaker 4 (44:31):
I did do this with fine long ago, so for
you to remember like the specific date.

Speaker 2 (44:36):
So when I saw today that the Baltimore Ravens put
up a little after itck on the injury report for
Fridays And actually, wait a minute, Lamar Jackson was NLT
not a full participant as we previously reported.

Speaker 5 (44:50):
He was actually a limited A limited participant. Was where
was it?

Speaker 12 (44:54):
I am seeing there was a nineteen oh six Harvard
football injury report, but it might not have been officially
mandated until when you were.

Speaker 2 (45:02):
I want to shay commissioner Commissioner Kennesaw Mountain landed in
Major League based he did a lot of bad things too.

Speaker 3 (45:11):
Oh he was a terrible guy.

Speaker 6 (45:13):
Oh he was a terrible guy.

Speaker 2 (45:14):
But uh, I want to say he did it and
that's so maybe it was the first baseball one. Anyway,
as we get off of Wikipedia and back into the
real world, Lamar Jackson ran scout team practice, which means
he is now limited.

Speaker 5 (45:28):
You know, the.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
Only reason why this exists right now is because Chohnsi
Bellison got arrested a few days ago.

Speaker 3 (45:35):
So the Ravens were like, no, no, no, we gotta come clean.
We gotta come clean.

Speaker 2 (45:39):
The NFL put out that memo. NFL put out a memo,
so let's sen yea, all that funny acting.

Speaker 5 (45:42):
I better cut it out.

Speaker 4 (45:43):
Yeah, better cut it out. No, of course, because I'm
not betting, but I'm playing fantasy football. And when I
saw that Lamar was coming back, I was like, yeah,
the same Flowers. Put it back in my line up.
Oh you're not playing huh. I definitely didn't play Jordan
Addison because I was gonna plays the Flowers on Thursday.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
And so you see another kind of annoying, you know,
now you want to go conspiracy theory. Here was one
that had my pointing fingers up in the air. Philadelphia
Eagles play a game, A J. Brown has two touchdowns
and you know, dunking on people. All of a sudden,
he's hurt. But he's hurt win win, Uh huh. We

(46:23):
watched the game, so maybe he pulled it, you know,
from on the way to tweet. Sure, you know, from
the locker room to the to his phone to tweet.
Maybe that maybe that's when the tweak and it was
tweet to tweet. Those way to make a post, speak
softly and carry a knife.

Speaker 3 (46:42):
They're using you, but they're not using any.

Speaker 2 (46:45):
Sounds sounds a little bit like a potential Bill Withers line.
But uh so, A J. Brown, I think is gonna
get traded.

Speaker 6 (46:54):
It seems that way, and I.

Speaker 2 (46:56):
Think it's going to be interesting to see next the
trade deadline is on Ember fourth, he gets traded. Just
how quickly that a hamstring is now healed? These are
things that we all know happened, right. Michael Parsion's had
his contract the outo me in his back earlier this offseason.

Speaker 5 (47:15):
Right right.

Speaker 2 (47:16):
And then you had Jalen Ramsey and he had contract
the out of me in his back when he was
trying to move from Jacksonville to Los.

Speaker 5 (47:25):
Angeles, right. And I think A J.

Speaker 2 (47:27):
Brown has a little contract the outom me in his
hamstring right now, right where the contract in situation is like,
actually this makes us hurt more, right. And I think
the thing that that in Terry Roseier's case, the NBA
said we found an MRI that had an injury. I
think professional athletes's bodies are banged up enough where you
can find an injury that, do you know what I mean?

(47:49):
Push whatever you need to push, right, And so it's
just a fascinating type of events I would expect to
see injury reports tightened up a lot.

Speaker 5 (47:57):
Now.

Speaker 2 (47:58):
One injury report note that it is not necessarily an injury.
Josh Simmons for the Kansas City Chiefs has missed the
last two games due to personal reasons. I don't expect
to find out now what personal reasons are. But again,
these are the type of things that like going to
be documented that much more now. To turn into the
football side of it, Josh Simmons is not going to

(48:20):
be there protecting Patrick mahomes blind side when they play
the Commanders.

Speaker 3 (48:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (48:24):
No, the whole thing was like the Ravens in this
comming out. It's like, not every player moves the gambling
needle the way a player like Lamar Jackson does. Yeah,
so that's the problem here, Like you didn't you didn't
tell us that Snoop Puntley didn't actually practice in full.
You told us this guy practice in full. And so
many people probably were like, great, put money on the

(48:45):
Ravens to stop the Bears four game winning streak.

Speaker 3 (48:48):
That was bad. And now if they're gonna.

Speaker 4 (48:52):
Cross their t's and dot their eyes a little bit
more specifically, it's just gonna suck for everybody else because
we're paying attention now, even to the little details because
of other people dropping the ball.

Speaker 6 (49:05):
That's what's happening.

Speaker 3 (49:06):
Other people are dropping the ball and so now.

Speaker 2 (49:09):
But so to think about that, I think the Ravens
without Lamar Jackson, even with Lamar Jackson, we're.

Speaker 5 (49:14):
A deep fried toast regardless.

Speaker 4 (49:17):
But but there's a chance because with him the offense
is gonna thrive.

Speaker 3 (49:22):
So there's always a chance.

Speaker 6 (49:24):
I mean, they're all pros, like aside from the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (49:30):
See, I was just about you say the Chiefs so good,
look at their record and it's like, okay.

Speaker 5 (49:34):
Well.

Speaker 3 (49:36):
Without the record and you just watch them, you don't
see the difference.

Speaker 2 (49:39):
No, I'm not I am agreeing with you that. I'm
just saying when you look at their record, I think
what we say, there's nobody great. I think we are
separating who the bad teams are quote unquote, and I
think that a team that I was a little lower
on to start the year, but not this low.

Speaker 5 (49:57):
I think the Commanders are done.

Speaker 2 (50:00):
I think the Commanders are gonna lose tomorrow to Kija
Shitty and it's over with, like like they're an old team.

Speaker 5 (50:08):
Jaydon Daniels can't stay healthy, can't stay on.

Speaker 2 (50:10):
The field, and they already were kind of going through,
you know, skating through the rain drops last year with
all the one score games that hell, Mary the pass
against Cincinnati was up the rail to Terry McLaurin. Late
on that Monday night football game, Jaydon Daniels was kind
of like had his way with the league. And then
they run into a Lions team. They run into a

(50:33):
Lions team in the in the in the playoffs that
is missing every defensive started they had, and MONSTI, you
just made a face. I think the face you just
made is after you looked at the commander's upcoming next
five weeks.

Speaker 3 (50:45):
I did. That's exactly what the face was.

Speaker 4 (50:47):
I was like, oh no, they just okay, they could
be the Dolphins, like.

Speaker 5 (50:53):
I would hope.

Speaker 3 (50:54):
I would hope, I would hope.

Speaker 4 (50:55):
And then I'm not sure if they can win any
other game.

Speaker 5 (51:00):
So run it down real quick, all right.

Speaker 4 (51:01):
So they're playing the Chiefs Necks in Kansas City Seahawks,
who I was not high on.

Speaker 3 (51:08):
But I understand it. I get it. I understand why
people like the Seahawks. I get it.

Speaker 4 (51:12):
Lions at home against the Dolphins at home against the
Broncos in Minnesota away against.

Speaker 3 (51:19):
The Giants, home against the Eagles, home against the Cowboys,
away against the Eagles. And that's how it ends.

Speaker 2 (51:25):
So I am making No, I'm not making I think
this is how this is going to play out.

Speaker 5 (51:32):
I forget who Miami plays this week, but it's not.

Speaker 2 (51:35):
It's Atlanta, right, So it's Atlanta with Kirk Cousins, right,
So that actually may be better. Yes, don't tell anybody,
but I think that Atlanta will probably keep that one
close enough. Lamar Jackson will then almost certainly if he
ran scout team practice this week, we'll be coming back
next week. That's Miami Thursday night. So is that Miami

(51:58):
game for Washington three week from now? Because if that's
the case, I think you're going to be seeing a
Miami Dolphins team with.

Speaker 5 (52:05):
The fired coach bounce.

Speaker 6 (52:07):
That's eleven so Lamar, because.

Speaker 2 (52:09):
Yeah, three weeks from now. So Lamar Jackson has consistently
thrown parties against the Miami Dolphins.

Speaker 6 (52:15):
And I mean it was two years ago.

Speaker 2 (52:20):
Yes, Scott Hanson kept cutting in like guys, I know,
we played three quarters of football, but we've gotten MDD. Yeah, Like,
so it is like that type of thing I expect
I don't see McDaniel's surviving past week twelve, so I
wonder just.

Speaker 5 (52:37):
How that all plays out. You know that fire coach
bounce is a very real bounce.

Speaker 3 (52:42):
Yeah yeah.

Speaker 4 (52:43):
I had not looked at the Commander's schedule following this week,
and their situation is not getting any better, especially with
their division. The problem is their division. All of a sudden,
the Giants want to play against decent teams and play
well like they're not. They have no.

Speaker 3 (52:57):
Easy wins the rest of the season.

Speaker 4 (53:00):
Their division, Cowboys, Cowboys look like they're trying to take
the division. Their offense looks really good. It's just I
don't know if their defense can hold up.

Speaker 3 (53:07):
And then we've seen the Eagles, where all of a sudden,
their offense looks all better.

Speaker 4 (53:12):
This past week eight and Jayla hurts through for three
hundred yard plus and a couple of touchdowns. Like, hey,
all of a sudden, but you get rid of aj
Brown even better.

Speaker 2 (53:22):
To me, that's that is such a crazy statement, and
you know it's true that, Yes, that's like that is
a crazy statement to say. That also is true like
that the Eagles would probably be better off without a
consensus top seven wide receiver in the NFL. Jesus wist.

Speaker 5 (53:45):
Yeah that's dark Yeah uh.

Speaker 2 (53:50):
Speaking of dark, this guy used to go on Darkness
retreats and now the place of his former home, his
former home team is coming to his new home, and
he swears up and down it's not a revenge game.

Speaker 5 (54:05):
Let me tell you something.

Speaker 2 (54:06):
I believe him just about as much as I believe
that immunized bull from a few years ago.

Speaker 5 (54:10):
We'll get to that in just a minute.

Speaker 2 (54:12):
Marto Wis's Moncey Villano's Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (54:16):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (54:20):
What novelty shirt does Moncy have on today? If you
want to know, you can subscribe to the Fox Sports
Radio YouTube channel and serves Fox Chorts Radio on YouTube
and see all the best videos from all of our shows.
And don't stop there. Hit the thumbs up icon and
common away. Let us know whose take you like, even
whose takes you don't like. Let Monsy know how cool
her shirt is, and maybe even give suggestions for weeks

(54:41):
in the future.

Speaker 5 (54:42):
Who knows she's amenable, she may listen.

Speaker 2 (54:45):
Just listen to Fox Sports Radio on YouTube and subscribe.
Somebody who definitely won't listen to most suggestions.

Speaker 5 (54:51):
That's Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 3 (54:54):
You think anyone gives him any suggestions? Though, at this
point I think people just let him live.

Speaker 2 (54:59):
I'd like to think that his whoever you got married
to over the offseason would be able to tell him.

Speaker 3 (55:05):
I forgot he got married. We don't know who he's
married to, right, I.

Speaker 5 (55:08):
Forgot until I saw him wearing the ring.

Speaker 2 (55:09):
Of the day.

Speaker 3 (55:10):
I totally forgot he got married. Yeah, oh no, he
doesn't take suggestions from her either.

Speaker 5 (55:17):
Maybe maybe not.

Speaker 2 (55:20):
He also didn't take suggestions from the Packers GM when
they drafted Jordan Love, and he called and said, don't
be a part of the problem. Now again, we all
know my hobby at this point midweek postgame pregame press conferences,
Aaron Rodgers. This week has been very Oh. I have
no problem with the Green Bay Packers. I love the organization.

(55:42):
I just happened to win to m VPS after they
drafted Jordan Love.

Speaker 5 (55:45):
So it was a little bit in the right.

Speaker 2 (55:47):
Okay, Okay, it'd be a much bigger deal if the
game was going to be in Lambeau, so I go
back to Lambeau. Yeah, okay, okay, yeah, right, all right,
it's the same Aaron Rodgers, who through not one, that two,
not three, but four touchdown passages against the New York Jets,
and the pregame and build up to that was, you know,

(56:08):
it's the Jets. There's a lot of guys that doesn't
really matter to me. I've spent most of my time
in Green Bay. And then the post game said, no,
I wanted to beat everyone and everything associated with the
Jets organization. So Aaron Rodgers is doing what he's doing best,
what he does best, and that's obscating the truth because
he clearly this is more than a game to him.

(56:29):
How do you think this one plays? Packers, Steelers, the
Rogers Love Bowl.

Speaker 3 (56:35):
This is gonna be an interesting one because.

Speaker 4 (56:39):
The Steelers have had games where I'm just like, Okay,
it seems like you can make a run here, and
it has to do a lot with the division and
all of the things happening in that division, and then.

Speaker 3 (56:53):
The Packers, to me, have been I've just been so
underwhelmed with the Packers.

Speaker 4 (57:00):
This their entire this entire seven weeks that we've seen
the Packers. I don't know, right, I have just been underwhelmed, Like, yeah,
you beat the Cardinals, you beat the Bengals, okay, and
you beat the Lions to start it off, and the Commanders,
but you lost to the Browns and you tied with
the Cowboys. There has been no to me, no dominant

(57:23):
performance from the Packers when last year they had such
a good run and their division and the whole thing
and getting Michael Parsons, and like, I just thought I
would be more impressed by now, and I'm not.

Speaker 2 (57:36):
The Packers are like an Instagram model. They look real
good until you start to talk.

Speaker 13 (57:42):
To them, until till they get out there in the world.

Speaker 2 (57:47):
Like when you just looking at.

Speaker 3 (57:48):
It all that rafter boy who yes.

Speaker 2 (57:53):
Learn that double tap that I gotta leave a comment,
fire emotion. Then you get to, you know, actually sharing
a meal and he's like, later a minute, what do
you mean you don't drink water? You know what I'm saying?
What do you mean? What are you talking about? What
is Oh? Oh wait this this grows may not have it?

(58:13):
What's in between these ears?

Speaker 5 (58:15):
Empty space?

Speaker 2 (58:16):
Oh? And that goes in there? Okay, I got it.
That's what the Packers are. Because you're right, Like if
the Packers were elite.

Speaker 4 (58:24):
They don't lose to correct and there would be no
question about this matchup.

Speaker 2 (58:29):
This is my favorite, This has been my favorite Packers
line of off season. Michael Parkson is added to that defense, boy,
that's a super Bowl defense. And then conversely, the Cowboys.
You tell Michael Parker off that defense, that's the worst
defense of all time. Oh my goodness. They can't, they can't.
Somebody nose bleed with the boxing clay X. What was

(58:50):
the score when the Cowboys played the Packers this year?
Don't look it up, I know, let me look it up.

Speaker 5 (58:57):
Forty four, a tie game.

Speaker 2 (59:01):
And with's the super Bowl defense, which is just oh,
it's so great with Michael Parsons and the Cowboys defense
with Jerry just can you believe that Jerry just completely
punted the season. He just forfeited. He traded his best
defensive player.

Speaker 3 (59:14):
No, no, no, you not been the case.

Speaker 5 (59:17):
The Cowboys right there, right there in the NFC.

Speaker 4 (59:20):
In fact, right now, I think I would take the
Cowboys over the Backers right now.

Speaker 5 (59:25):
We know Jerry would, you know, Michael wouldn't.

Speaker 2 (59:27):
But in terms of how this I think this kind
of thing all plays out, I think the Commanders are
deep fried and cooked. I think the Eagles their issues
internally which again I understand that I said this for
seventeen weeks last year, and I understand that it's with

(59:49):
their issues internally from the football that I understand and
get paid to talk about. Feel like they should matter, right,
you know, absolutely like it should matter. And the thing
about the Cowboys that I have liked, they can score
on anybody. They could score on anybody. And I think

(01:00:09):
that Brian Schottenheimer and the way he has dialed up
this offense. And you add George Pickens, and I thought
that George Pickens DK Metcalf trade was our DK Metcalf
movement was probably some of the most overrated situations. So
I watched George Pickens all the time in Pittsburgh. He's
very He's like he was their best player, right. He

(01:00:31):
came down to Dallas to me and the show, not
only can I be a number one, I could be
a little bit less of a of a of a
jack hole in general on the field than I was
when I was in Pittsburgh.

Speaker 5 (01:00:41):
It seems to be fitting well in Dallas. And and with.

Speaker 2 (01:00:45):
CD out and I CD back and the way they
run the ball and Dak Prescott if it's healthy, that's
a double digit win quarterback, just his top to bottom.
So I really have been a big fan of what
the Cowboys are doing this year.

Speaker 5 (01:00:59):
And there's a bonus take we're gonna see.

Speaker 2 (01:01:02):
I think I think we see an NFL record fall tomorrow,
and I think the Dallas Cowboys are gonna do it.
Calling my shot right here, right now, Steve Sacred, listen up,
I think Brandon Aubrey breaks the record for longest field
goal made tomorrow in Denver. Now, I know Steve is

(01:01:25):
gonna have an opinion on this, Monci. I know you're
gonna have an opinion on this. I call my shot
right here, right now, and you know what It'll be
seventy They're gonna try seventy seven yard field goal and
make it.

Speaker 5 (01:01:36):
That's my words.

Speaker 2 (01:01:37):
Now, Steve SegReg will update us and everything is sports
and everybody will tell me how crazy I am or
if they agree with me.

Speaker 8 (01:01:42):
Right after that, his last game, he made from sixty one.

Speaker 2 (01:01:45):
I'm saying, Steve, it's real.

Speaker 8 (01:01:47):
It's altitude, but it's not artificial.

Speaker 3 (01:01:49):
Turn from Denner thin Air.

Speaker 8 (01:01:52):
When you talked about the Dallas Denver game, the first
thing I thought of is, Wow, the Cowboys offense can
score thirty points like it's nothing. Wow, the Cowboys defense
allows thirty points like it's nothing. So I mean, Dak
Prescott has been very impressive in how they're getting four
hundred yards a game like it's nothing. But I've said

(01:02:15):
this most of the year and in some of last year,
Denver's defense alone makes them a playoff continued, that's not
just good. That is a great defense.

Speaker 3 (01:02:25):
But their offense has a lot of question marks.

Speaker 1 (01:02:27):
Yep.

Speaker 8 (01:02:28):
So they're home and can they beat a team that
allows four hundred yards a game? You'd think they could.

Speaker 3 (01:02:33):
You think so.

Speaker 8 (01:02:34):
But if not, I'm sure Sean Payton will take it
out on somebody. End of five innings, Game two of
the World Series at Toronto Blue Jays tied one to
one with the Dodgers. Boy have both starting pitchers settled,
and Kevin Gosman has retired thirteen straight. He's thrown just
under sixty pitches in his five innings, five strikeouts, no walks.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tonight's Dodgers starter, had nearly twenty five pitches

(01:02:57):
in the first inning. He only has sixty two total
through five innings, four strikeouts and no walks. The Dodger
run came when they had two outs nobody on in
the top of the first and got a Freddie Freeman
doubled in a Will Smith RBI single, answering for the
Blue Jays Alejandro Kirk with a sack fly in the
bottom of the third. I don't know if you've heard this.
Alejandro Kirk is the slowest runner in Major League Baseball.

Speaker 2 (01:03:21):
It's a miracle. You can make it on the basis.

Speaker 8 (01:03:24):
He can hit a ball off the wall and be held.

Speaker 2 (01:03:25):
To a single.

Speaker 8 (01:03:28):
Love going to us in sweet Yes, it's Game two
of the World Series, with Game three on Fox TV
Monday nights in LA and by the way, Toronto infield
or Bobaschett not starting tonight, he did start Game one
after the spring he had kept him out since early September.
And a note in this postseason, the team that out
homers their opponent has a record of twenty five and five.

(01:03:50):
Two key long balls in the sixth for the home
team last night. Still waiting for a key long ball
in this one. To college football, it's early third quarter
at six ranked Door and Ducks now lead fourteen nothing
against Wisconsin, which is oh to four in the Big ten.
Number nine Miami trailed in the second quarter at home
against Stanford, but it's now Hurricanes twenty eight to seven

(01:04:10):
in the lead early in the fourth Nineteenth ranked Louisville
was trailing early but now leads Boston College twenty one
ten at the half halftime. Number three Texas A and
M has fallen behind LSU eighteen fourteen in the lead
at the break. Number twenty five Michigan as a halftime
lead of just ten to seven at Michigan State. Spartans
are zh to four in the Big Ten Conference. Seventeenth

(01:04:32):
ranked Tennessee now up twenty eight twenty one at Kentucky
under two minutes to go till halftime. Houston leads ten
nothing at number twenty four ranked Arizona State at the half.
Wins for Indiana and Georgia Tech wins for BYU and
Texas Tech. Memphis beat eighteenth ranks South Florida. Washington upset
number twenty three Illinois. Fourth ranked Alabama got two touchdowns

(01:04:55):
in the last two and a half minutes to win
at South Carolina twenty nine. Twenty two miss was the
winner at Oklahoma thirty four to twenty six. Mississippi outscored
of nine to nothing in the fourth quarter. Vanderbilt wins
on a touchdown with under two minutes to go seventeen
to ten over Missouri, and it was Virginia in overtime
winning at North Carolina seventeen sixteen. Tar Heels went for

(01:05:16):
two in the ot and were tackled just short of
the goal line. Texas came back for an overtime win
at Mississippi State forty five to thirty eight. Among the
NBA games tonight, LaMelo ball with twenty two points in
the Hornets lead at Philadelphia early fourth quarter ninety six
ninety one. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson out again tomorrow with
the bad hamstring. The Jets will have to start quarterback

(01:05:38):
Justin Fields tomorrow because Toarrod Taylor out with a badne
oh and seven Jets at Cincinnati Sunday. Wide receiver Garrett
Wilson still missing. Defensive back Sauce Gardner out for the Jets.

Speaker 2 (01:05:49):
Back to you, thanks, Steve Martin, Wise Massa Bilaniells coming
to you live from the Fox Sports Radio studios. As
we perused down the NFL schedule, look at Major League
Balls World Series Game two or a concert one or
the other, depending on what time you tune in, and
college football in full swing, Monci, I have a uh.

(01:06:13):
One of my favorite things to say about the NFL
is both teams get paid, right because you know you've
been sitting there and you're looking at oh, this is
a a fourteen point underdog, or like the Browns and
the Packers earlier this year. Oh yeah, the Packers. Of
course they're gonna win.

Speaker 5 (01:06:27):
We're gonna undefeaded.

Speaker 2 (01:06:29):
Hah, not so fast, you know, not so fast. Those
boys over there get paid too. And I think the
ultimate those boys get paid. Two game this weekend is
the Bills at the Panthers.

Speaker 4 (01:06:43):
Interesting, let's go back real quick to the Cowboys completely forgot.

Speaker 3 (01:06:46):
Yeah, you set that up and then that's it. No, no,
you don't get to talk about that only me.

Speaker 2 (01:06:51):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (01:06:51):
It's OK.

Speaker 5 (01:06:52):
Sixty seven yard Brandon Harvey put it on the sixty seven.

Speaker 4 (01:06:55):
What's funny is like I was looking at my notes
for the week and I literally wrote, the X factor
for that game is going to be Brandon Aubrey. He
is the reason the Cowboys are gonna win. And that's
what I wrote, not that he's gonna have a the longest.

Speaker 3 (01:07:08):
Which I like that, which I like that.

Speaker 4 (01:07:10):
But I literally was like, he's gonna be the reason
why the Cowboys win this game.

Speaker 3 (01:07:14):
It's obvious in that I don't I know.

Speaker 4 (01:07:17):
This is the toughest test for Dak Prescott this season
when it comes to the Broncos defense. As Steve Desager mentioned,
they do have a great defense, but at the same time,
Denver's offense, I don't even know what I'm gonna get.

Speaker 2 (01:07:26):
Sure, Bo Knicks.

Speaker 4 (01:07:27):
Does not look good at like, there are moments of it.
But against the Cowboys, it's like how you said it.
They score against everyone, and if the Cowboys have the
ball at the end of the game on a tie game,
there's no question Cowboys win it.

Speaker 2 (01:07:40):
I think to your point, you get what ten to eleven,
ten to twelve possessions in a football game. Sure, I
think the Cowboys should be getting points on ten of
you know, on most them.

Speaker 4 (01:07:54):
Exactly when you have Denver, it's like, no, you're not
gonna get points on every single drive.

Speaker 3 (01:07:59):
You may get on most of them.

Speaker 4 (01:08:01):
Because we've seen the Cowboys defense, as Steve Sager pointed out,
they also allowed thirty points.

Speaker 3 (01:08:06):
They're gonna score thirty, but the defens might allow thirty.

Speaker 4 (01:08:08):
But I think Brandon Aubery is absolutely the X factor
in that, and that's.

Speaker 3 (01:08:12):
Why I don't disagree that. I think the Cowboys cou
pull this off.

Speaker 4 (01:08:14):
And if he does break the record for the longest
field goal, I wouldn't be surprising that thin air that
is in Denver. Now, Panthers and Bills so like a
trap game, you think, I do think it with Andy Dalton, I.

Speaker 2 (01:08:27):
Just think across America.

Speaker 3 (01:08:28):
Across America, when you look.

Speaker 2 (01:08:30):
At the slate, everybody's like, oh, well, the Bills are
gonna beat the Panthers, right, Like, what are you like?
Do you look at It's like, oh, falcused off.

Speaker 3 (01:08:37):
I don't know they're gonna Yeah, you're not even gonna
entertain it.

Speaker 5 (01:08:39):
What are you talking about, Commander's chiefs.

Speaker 2 (01:08:41):
I don't know that weird. You know the chiefs look
real goodness.

Speaker 5 (01:08:44):
I have lost three games.

Speaker 2 (01:08:45):
I don't know how we're gonna Everybody looks at this
and says, Panthers backup quarterback. The Bills are going to
molly whop them, and they very well might. This is
the thing that concerns me about Buffalo. What they don't
stop the run.

Speaker 3 (01:09:00):
Yeah, and then what's that guy's name? Thank you? Or
the other one?

Speaker 7 (01:09:04):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (01:09:05):
There we go.

Speaker 4 (01:09:06):
I know I'm with you, and there's a couple of
question marks of who are who's gonna be healthy enough
for the Bills?

Speaker 3 (01:09:12):
But I don't see it.

Speaker 4 (01:09:13):
And the only reason I don't see it even though
I one agree with you, they don't stop the run.
And Rico Daudo has been on a tear. He's single
handedly alone beat me in fantasy football the last two weeks.
Great for me, uh the lass different leagues. That's not fair.
It does feel personal. Absolutely, I was how am I
dealing with him twice? I can't back to back losses

(01:09:36):
for the Bills going into a bye week.

Speaker 3 (01:09:39):
There is no way they're gonna let this one slip.

Speaker 5 (01:09:42):
See see he's sorry to fall. Are you falling into
the track?

Speaker 3 (01:09:48):
No way?

Speaker 2 (01:09:49):
And I just think when you have a team, especially
cause and this is not a knock to Bryce Young.
I don't think he's been playing particularly great through this.
But it's not slight to.

Speaker 5 (01:10:03):
Him right anything, But you're looking us not generally.

Speaker 2 (01:10:06):
If I told you a team won three games in
a row, you would expect their quarterback to be on.

Speaker 5 (01:10:11):
A heater, absolutely right, and he's Brice's been playing okay.

Speaker 2 (01:10:15):
I don't expect to see Andy Dalton play that much
worse than what I've seen out of Bryce Young in
this in which what we've seen out of the both
of them, what we should see is turn around and
hands it off, right, That's what we should see a
lot of this. If that's the case, I could see
this being, you know, a one score game in the
fourth quarter. And if that's you know, one score game

(01:10:37):
in the fourth quarter bounces the wrong way, you know,
you want to go ahead and and put you know,
b to a like the Chargers did the Vikings on Thursday,
you know, put that thing out of out of out
of Uh yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:10:50):
No, listen, Carson Wentz was dead in that game, dead
coming out of the game.

Speaker 3 (01:10:54):
No, arm I don't know what what what the plan was.
I literally don't know what the plan was.

Speaker 2 (01:10:58):
You know, you just from reminded me of something that
happened in that game the Chargers. It's only happened to
me that I could think one other time. I'm sure
it's happened before, but that I remember that really set
off like in my brain name of time other time.

(01:11:19):
This is a rhetorical question that a starting quarterback in
the NFL got hurt, then was deemed healthy and didn't start.
That's not how it goes now. Starter gets hurt unless
unless it's Dak and Antonio Romo, the backup is playing
so well that he is now the new starter. Right,

(01:11:40):
That's not the case in Minnesota. It my siren went
off when I saw that J. J. McCarthy was going
to be the emergency third quarterback for the team. That
means if he's the emergency third quarterback per the rules
of the NFL, after the Kristian mccaff rock party getting

(01:12:03):
hurt in his rookie year against the Eagles and NFY
Championship game, they allowed you to elevate your third quarterback
from the practice squad to the active roster, but you
can only play him if the two starters in front
of him are unable to participate, which to me means
you are two snaps away from him playing right, like
two snaps away at any moment in time from your

(01:12:26):
emergency third quarterback from hitting the field. One of the
reasons why I said I will bet on shed door
standards seeing NFL playing time this year, it's almost a certainty, right,
just because of the way the injury, it's.

Speaker 5 (01:12:38):
Almost a certainty.

Speaker 2 (01:12:40):
JJ McCarthy being the third quarterback and not starting immediately
set off a red flag for me. Then you saw
Justin Jefferson roll into the sidelines, JJ McCarthy get out
of the way, to another red flag, because they don't
put guys with lower leg injuries on the sidelines for
one reason, Manci you know why, because they can't get

(01:13:00):
out of the way to protect themselves.

Speaker 5 (01:13:01):
That's why Fred Warner is up in the booth and
his little scooter. Right.

Speaker 2 (01:13:05):
Yeah, there is some funny action going on around the
Minnesota Vikings and JJ McCarthy and I the only other
time I remember this happening, Jared Golf broke his thumb
week fourteen. Week sixteen, they said he was cleared to play.
John Wolford starts, he goes to the hospital. Against Seattle Seahawks,
Golf comes in, finishes the rest of the game, and

(01:13:27):
he plays two more games in La.

Speaker 4 (01:13:29):
Ever, the fishy thing that is going on in Minnesota
is that they realize that JJ McCarthy doesn't have the
answers right now, can he have the answers in the future. Maybe,
but he was a Michigan guy. What did you see
when he was at Michigan.

Speaker 2 (01:13:42):
I did not think I legitimately, with no troll thought
that both he and Harbass should have gone back to school.

Speaker 3 (01:13:49):
I love that. Yeah, no, clearly, clearly.

Speaker 4 (01:13:53):
I just don't know when they realized it, Like you
drafted him, which a bunch of us were.

Speaker 3 (01:13:57):
Like, why did you take J. J. McCarthy. Okay, fine,
all right, fine.

Speaker 4 (01:13:59):
But then like you let everybody else go. You don't
want to pay Kirk Cousins, You didn't want to pay
Sam Darnold, Daniel Jones was on your roster last year.
You let all of these people go because you you
put all your eggs in the basket that was JJ McCarthy.

Speaker 3 (01:14:12):
When did you realize that that was a bad mistake?

Speaker 4 (01:14:14):
Because clearly yesterday or yesterday Thursday, Carson Wentz was dying,
was in severe pain on his non throwing arm, and
they were like, yeah, we don't have anybody.

Speaker 2 (01:14:24):
Well you're going to stay out there, that's the.

Speaker 3 (01:14:26):
Thing, because they know he can't. JJ McCarthy.

Speaker 6 (01:14:28):
Ain't it if.

Speaker 5 (01:14:29):
JJ had been QB two.

Speaker 2 (01:14:32):
The conversation between Kirk Herbs right now Michaels is a lot.

Speaker 3 (01:14:35):
Different, right, But instead it was who Max.

Speaker 4 (01:14:38):
Brosmer, Max Brosmer, Max Brosmer from Minnesota.

Speaker 2 (01:14:41):
I was just about to say, I will give you
five guesses to guess working to college, and you nailed
it on would have been guess one.

Speaker 5 (01:14:47):
You know what, I tipped my cat to you. That's
good job byd You know, I'm buying Manzi's takes.

Speaker 2 (01:14:54):
Let's see if she's selling mind. We'll do that next.

Speaker 5 (01:14:55):

Monsis at Mons.

Speaker 3 (01:15:18):
That's right.

Speaker 5 (01:15:21):
One to one right now in Game two.

Speaker 3 (01:15:24):
It's a nice little pitching duel.

Speaker 2 (01:15:26):
It is a nice little pitching duel. This right here,
I think is where the Dodgers would love to keep
this game.

Speaker 3 (01:15:32):
You absolutely, absolutely, and you know what.

Speaker 2 (01:15:35):
I do gotta say. Obviously, he's only through six innings
thus far. But Yoshinobu Yamamoto feels like he might be
the type of guy who plays his best in the
biggest moments.

Speaker 3 (01:15:46):
It seems that way.

Speaker 4 (01:15:47):
He has had really great, a really great year, uh,
coming off of a year that you were just kinda like,
I'm not sure you know what I'm saying. So it
was really good to see him dominate the way he
did this year after getting rocked, you know, like when
he first came and it was remember that he got
rocked to start off, and like he got rocked this
past year the Brewers. Earlier in the year, the Brewers.

Speaker 3 (01:16:10):
Ran him off in the first inning. He didn't eve
finish the first inning.

Speaker 4 (01:16:13):
Earlier this year against the Brewers, gave up like six runs,
I want to say so.

Speaker 5 (01:16:18):
Later against the Bruis, he finished all nine.

Speaker 3 (01:16:20):
He sure did. He sure did.

Speaker 2 (01:16:22):
Good job by him. Let's play buy or so.

Speaker 6 (01:16:30):
All right, I got some buyer sells for y'all. How
about this.

Speaker 12 (01:16:32):
We now know that Trod Taylor has been ruled out
due to a knee injury, and Justin Fields is going
to start Week eight versus the Bengals. But are you
buying or selling Aaron Glenn's tactics of trying to keep
that quarterback decision close to his chest.

Speaker 5 (01:16:45):
I'm buying it.

Speaker 2 (01:16:47):
I'm buying it simply for the sole reason that I
have to because I cannot go out there and make
you look like my own I just immediately.

Speaker 5 (01:16:56):
Responded like that to my owner.

Speaker 2 (01:16:57):
And also, I'm buying Tyron Tyrod Taylor's Again, I'm not
saying he's faking a knee injury, but I think he
can play if he wants to. I think all of
it is imresponsibleity Johnson as Will Smith. It's a home
run two to one to the doctors.

Speaker 4 (01:17:14):
Hey yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm buying because what else am I.

Speaker 3 (01:17:18):
Supposed to do?

Speaker 4 (01:17:19):
And I think that's I found it so funny. Now, granted,
I find it funny because it's not my team.

Speaker 3 (01:17:23):
It's just not my coach.

Speaker 5 (01:17:25):
It's like when you see a couple fighting in the
grocery store.

Speaker 3 (01:17:28):
It's not me because why not? Why not go for it?

Speaker 12 (01:17:33):
How about some NFL fins for you. Texas cornerback Derek Stingley,
you remember that uh that uh brew haha?

Speaker 2 (01:17:39):
Is that what you call it?

Speaker 12 (01:17:41):
At the end of the Seahawks Texans game last week,
he was uh face masking Jackson Smith and Jigma sparked
a big fight. Well he's not been fined eleven and
a half thousand dollars Smith and Jigma was also fine
for unsportsmanlike conduct for dunking the ball on the on
the goalpost fourteen and a half thousand dollars. Are you
buyingers selling that? I mean, I think it's interesting that

(01:18:03):
that fine is more. Yes, the fine for dunking the
dunking the ball is more than the space mask in
the fight.

Speaker 5 (01:18:10):
Are you buying that right?

Speaker 3 (01:18:12):
No, not buying that. It's so ridiculous to me.

Speaker 4 (01:18:17):
That makes absolutely the finding of finding players because they're celebrating.

Speaker 3 (01:18:23):
Why can't I celebrate?

Speaker 4 (01:18:25):
This is a form of entertainment and the people want
to be entertained.

Speaker 3 (01:18:28):
Can I dunk? Let me dunk? Damn it?

Speaker 2 (01:18:30):
I am. I'm buying this fine structure because here's the thing.
It's all good and well when you dunk and you
get it clean, get home, and all of a sudden
the field goal is hanging at a forty five degree
and I gotta.

Speaker 5 (01:18:42):
Wait through three commercial breakdown for them to get it fixed.

Speaker 2 (01:18:44):
Is go ahead, face mask? While you want, we got
that built in already fifteen yards. Keep it moving. We
are not equipped to deal with uprights at a skew.
All right, Jackson Smith and Jake, But mind you been
down the ground.

Speaker 3 (01:18:55):
No celebrate, do a dance or something.

Speaker 2 (01:18:58):
Everybody due to six seven days success excitaede thing. Sorry
to all the parents driving around ruined it. Your kids
are yelling, screaming.

Speaker 6 (01:19:06):
Now I have some merchandise to buy yourself for you.

Speaker 2 (01:19:10):
Shame on me.

Speaker 12 (01:19:10):
I didn't have this Oregon tied eye game on between
Oregon and Wisconsin. Obviously they're doing the Grateful Dead game tonight.
Then they're buying and selling a bunch of merchandise. You
can get some nikes they're called the Airmax ninety shoes
for one hundred and forty five dollars. Got some tight eye,
some grateful Dead stuff. There are you buying or selling
these these shoes in this tidie game.

Speaker 4 (01:19:31):
So I'm buying in the sense that I will spend
money on stupid things, stupid uh novelty things for my teams,
like you know what I'm saying. So I don't necessarily
this particular item would buy because I'm not a fan
of that.

Speaker 3 (01:19:46):
But I'm all for it. So I'm buying because.

Speaker 4 (01:19:49):
If the Clippers came out with like a like a
Disney shoe.

Speaker 3 (01:19:52):
You know, I'm in. You know I'm in.

Speaker 2 (01:19:54):
I mean that would be the biggest that that Van
diagram for us, a complete total circle disneyd than the Clippers.

Speaker 4 (01:20:01):
I do have a Mickey Clipper shirt, but I was
trying about shoes.

Speaker 5 (01:20:04):
I'm gonna buy this because I like what Oregon does
with their uniforms.

Speaker 3 (01:20:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:20:09):
I think it's their thing. Yeah, I don't think that
everybody else should be doing. This is their thing. You
need to other people need to find something else to do.
I like that.

Speaker 12 (01:20:18):
Speaking of what you were talking about that Cowboys, Uh,
Broncos game. Broncos are gonna be rocking that nineteen seventy
seven throwback orange Crush uniforms.

Speaker 5 (01:20:25):
Are you buying or selling those?

Speaker 9 (01:20:27):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (01:20:27):
I buy it one hundred.

Speaker 2 (01:20:28):
I buy anything from the seventies and sports in terms
of uniforms, is better than today.

Speaker 1 (01:20:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:20:33):
Okay, Yeah, I like how you explained it, so I'm
gonna stick with it. Seriously, He's right, He's.

Speaker 2 (01:20:38):
Right between colors by colors and you know what the
best part about old stuff in the seventies eighties cartoon logos. Yes,
give me the Buck the guy owned the Bucking Bronco,
not whatever that horsehead is.

Speaker 1 (01:20:49):
Yes, don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:20:54):
That's why I coming to you live from the Fox
Sports Radio studios.

Speaker 5 (01:20:58):
As we watched back to back, that's right.

Speaker 2 (01:21:01):
For the Los Angeles Dodgers, she had a right o
just logo on their helmets.

Speaker 5 (01:21:05):
That's trous was trusted by the pros worldwide.

Speaker 2 (01:21:08):
Pants built like tools, durable, comfortable, an engineered to perform
from grit to glory, gear up at Traus dot com,
st R a U s S dot com and some
glory for Max Munsey and Will Smith back to back
home runs against Kevin Geisman for the Toronto Blue Jays
as Yong momotos back out there for the Dodgers with

(01:21:29):
a two run cushion in the bottom of the seventh
inning with seventy two pitches.

Speaker 4 (01:21:36):
You know, mancie a little bit of cushion. Like you said,
it's not over.

Speaker 5 (01:21:41):
It's not over.

Speaker 3 (01:21:41):
It's not over. Anything can happen.

Speaker 4 (01:21:43):
But yeah, Gosman had like retired sixteen or seventeen in
a row, and right before that happened, I said to
you during the break, I was like, I think, well,
Smith is the only player player to have multiple hits
in the World Series for the Dodgers so far, because
if Tawny was oh for three, Mookie was over three
in this one. And then he hits a home run
and then Max one box it up with another one.

Speaker 2 (01:22:02):
And you know, the way that we just were talking
about him off all I think that was off on
the air off there.

Speaker 5 (01:22:07):
Either way, we were.

Speaker 2 (01:22:08):
Talking about Yamamoto and how he has been pitching very
well in this postseason. Seventy four pitches on about to
throw pitch number seventy five right here.

Speaker 4 (01:22:18):
And through like nineteen in the first inning, and it's
got out of that.

Speaker 5 (01:22:22):
That's what I'm saying. This is setting.

Speaker 2 (01:22:24):
If this game holds, this is about as good as
the Dodgers can ask for exactly through this. Now, let's
go ahead and stay with the theme of the week.
This makes some picks.

Speaker 12 (01:22:34):
Whow all right, I've been given some numbers from you too. Okay,
last week, Mancy, you went two and three. Okay, that's
Mancy's first losing week of the year.

Speaker 3 (01:22:47):
It is my first.

Speaker 2 (01:22:48):
That is something to applaud for. It's not mine.

Speaker 6 (01:22:51):
She might have been she might have been losing, but
she did beat you, Martin.

Speaker 2 (01:22:53):
Oh no, there's no doubt about it.

Speaker 6 (01:22:56):
What in four for you?

Speaker 5 (01:22:57):
My friend?

Speaker 2 (01:22:57):
The next week I win will be my first winning week.
So there you go, extending your lead on the season.
Monthly nineteen and twelve to Martin, you're fifteen and sixteen?

Speaker 5 (01:23:06):
Just under five?

Speaker 2 (01:23:07):
Let's go just under five.

Speaker 3 (01:23:09):
I'm right love it.

Speaker 5 (01:23:10):
You know what?

Speaker 2 (01:23:11):
Not ever, all the pro stop betting, So now I
should be all right, here we go.

Speaker 12 (01:23:15):
I'm going to start with some double digit some double
digit spreads here for you. I just had it in
front of me, forgive me here, all right, fourteen and
a half. How about this Colts hosting the Titans' biggest
spread of the week, Colts fourteen and a half point favorites.

Speaker 5 (01:23:29):
MA.

Speaker 4 (01:23:29):
So you go, okay, So again, I don't really know
what the Titans are doing and the Colts are rolling,
and the thing with this spread, it's like there could be,
you know, a garbage touchdown at the end by cam Moore.
Because they do want him to get in as many
reps as he possibly can. I would assume that even
if they're down, that he's not going to be taken out.
Fourteen does seem like a lot where are they playing

(01:23:50):
in Indiana? In Indianapolis, I'm going to say, I'm going
to say the Titans.

Speaker 6 (01:23:53):
Fourteen and a half, fourteen and a half.

Speaker 4 (01:23:55):
I'm going to say the Titans cover Colts are gonna win.
But I'm going to say that not bite four fourteen
by fifteen.

Speaker 2 (01:24:02):
I'm nailing it right now. Twenty eight fourteen Colts. That
half is going to have Everybody got to be kidding me, Yes,
give me the Titans. Yeah, all right now, I will
say this, Manci, you know this is how I ended
up fifteen and sixteen taking the Titans because.

Speaker 12 (01:24:18):
And like you said, Martin, both teams get paid. The
Panthers are seven point underdogs at home versus the Bills.

Speaker 2 (01:24:24):
I love this spot. Give me the fight, and Andy
Dalton's the right rifle. Honestly, though, Buffalo's got to show
me they deserve to be more than a touchdown favorite.

Speaker 5 (01:24:33):
That you got to show me at this point.

Speaker 3 (01:24:35):
And I get that.

Speaker 4 (01:24:35):
So they're favored by a touchdown six and a half,
No seven, seventy.

Speaker 3 (01:24:39):
Full seven, evens full seven, even I don't I don't
like what you said to me. You're I don't like
that you're making me want to change mind.

Speaker 2 (01:24:49):
Remember you read the records at the start of this. Yes,
yours is a lot better than mine.

Speaker 4 (01:24:55):
But yeah, no, you know what Bills are gonna I
believe in the Bills a little bit more. I say
the Bills cover Andy Dalton is not gonna do any
do that much damage.

Speaker 12 (01:25:05):
All right, have some tricky ones here for you because
we have some quarterbacks out.

Speaker 2 (01:25:09):
How about this.

Speaker 12 (01:25:09):
The Ravens hosting the Bears are only two and a
half point favorites.

Speaker 2 (01:25:13):
At home, so this line was six all week. Yeah,
I liked Ravens at six. Tyler Huntley startin. You fell
into this trap last year, Caleb love them get five
in a row?

Speaker 4 (01:25:28):
Yep, Bears are about to win five in a row.
I'm taking the Bears absolutely, really.

Speaker 5 (01:25:33):
Really really thought about things that sound crazy. Bears five
in a row.

Speaker 3 (01:25:36):
No, it's just like Baltimore.

Speaker 4 (01:25:37):
I know Baltimore's defense seems to be healthy again, but
I also think the Bears are on a roll and
that's more of what it's going to go down to.

Speaker 6 (01:25:43):
I like that, And do you like this?

Speaker 12 (01:25:45):
Kirk Cousins starting for the Falcons hosting the Dolphins seven
point favorites at home.

Speaker 2 (01:25:51):
No, I don't like it at all. Yeah, you know,
you know what I had to decide today in Fantasy football?
Do I start cam Ward or Kirk Cousins tomorrow because
Jared Golf and Sam Donald Ron Bob. I'm gonna go
with the Falcons, But I don't love this is a
game if you really.

Speaker 3 (01:26:09):
Bet it, I'm not got trap games, right.

Speaker 2 (01:26:11):
Yeah, I'm actively telling you I'm not actively but I'm
not really betting this game. I am just picking this
game because I do think the smart money will be
on Dolphins to cover. But I work way too hard
to put my money on Miami.

Speaker 4 (01:26:22):
That yes, you said it perfectly, that is the smart
right decision, that you have Miami to cover. But Tua
has thrown three interceptions for two straight games, like I
just don't see, and then the Falcons disappointing me last
week against the forty nine ers. Like Bijon Robinson should
feast in this game. Sure, he should absolutely feast in

(01:26:44):
this game.

Speaker 2 (01:26:45):
He said to the two head back to back with
three pick and Mike McDaniel this week said the plan
was for two all the starters reption.

Speaker 5 (01:26:51):
Just try not to throw ten interceptions.

Speaker 2 (01:26:53):
So I you got that, No, I can't.

Speaker 4 (01:26:56):
I cannot trust Miami. I'm taking Atlanta to cover, all.

Speaker 6 (01:27:01):
Right, revenge game are not a revenge game.

Speaker 12 (01:27:03):
Who knows Packers at the Steelers. Packers are three point
favorites on the road.

Speaker 2 (01:27:09):
I absolutely love this spot for Mike Tomlin and the
Pittsburgh Steelers.

Speaker 5 (01:27:15):
You telling me I.

Speaker 2 (01:27:16):
Get all the numbers that you had of Mike Tomlin
on short rest indivision are the exact opposite. All long
rest with extra time to prepare and a little bit
of added motivation because your quarterback used to come from
over there.

Speaker 5 (01:27:29):
Come like this is a prime Mike Tomlin spot.

Speaker 3 (01:27:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:27:33):
Not only do they cover, they went out right.

Speaker 4 (01:27:38):
Literally took the words right out of my mouth. I
don't want to agree with him, but he's on it.

Speaker 5 (01:27:44):
Manti. You know what that smells like to me? It
smells like five and oh victory.

Speaker 2 (01:27:48):
I don't like that at all, all right, like any
of that.

Speaker 4 (01:27:51):
I'm sorry, I'm sorry to break it to you.

Speaker 3 (01:27:53):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 6 (01:27:54):
I like being on the side. And then, uh, you
know that's five for you.

Speaker 12 (01:27:57):
And just to let you guys know, you didn't hit
either of your atomic dogs last?

Speaker 3 (01:28:01):
Well, so who did I have my atomic dog?

Speaker 2 (01:28:03):
Last?

Speaker 7 (01:28:03):
Week.

Speaker 6 (01:28:04):
I wish I could tell you, no, it was Atlanta.

Speaker 4 (01:28:06):
I took Atlanta to freaking come out out and beat
the forty nine ers.

Speaker 3 (01:28:09):
And the forty nine ers one. That's what it was.
That's why I was so mad.

Speaker 2 (01:28:12):
Well, let's Seebat do better this week and pick some
atomic dogs, Moncy. I had a dog that I loved,
and the line has just been on the run all
week this.

Speaker 5 (01:28:22):
It started this.

Speaker 2 (01:28:23):
We started with San Francisco being favorite, so I was
gonna be like, sheejas drive the Texans bounce back.

Speaker 5 (01:28:28):
Now they're favorite at.

Speaker 2 (01:28:29):
Two and a half, so disqualified, and that story was
useless for everybody but me.

Speaker 5 (01:28:34):
Who's your atomic dog?

Speaker 2 (01:28:35):
All right?

Speaker 3 (01:28:35):
So we kind of talked about them a little bit earlier.
But I think there's a couple that I like that
I would take.

Speaker 4 (01:28:40):
I even part of me honestly, Like, call me crazy.
I think the Browns can upset the Patriots. But I'm
not gonna go that crazy. I'm not gonna go that crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:28:48):
I am going to go that the Cowboys beat the
Broncos in Denver.

Speaker 2 (01:28:52):
That is mine, Moncey. Yes, that's exactly the same one.
I was going to fake it as well. I liked
the Cowboys to upset member of Broncos tomorrow as well
with Monci. I'll tell you this, there are three games
that I think have real, real upset potential here.

Speaker 3 (01:29:10):
Which are the three?

Speaker 5 (01:29:11):
That was the first one?

Speaker 3 (01:29:12):
Obviously, I'm with you.

Speaker 2 (01:29:14):
Do you think you can guess one of the next ones,
because I feel like you've been working with me long
enough to know this record. Just does this sit right
with me when I look at it? I know the
results on the field haven't been there, but you know what,
damn it, they get paid too.

Speaker 3 (01:29:28):
You want to pick the Giants.

Speaker 2 (01:29:29):
I want to pick the Jets. I want to pick
the Jets. I want to pick the Jets. Crazy, I
want to pick the Jets so bad Woody Jonathan comes
out and says we can't complete the pass, insinuating we
should start the backup. You know what they said. No,
we're gonna put him on the injury report. We can't
play them, We're rolling them out. We're sticking with the
guy that we went and paid. That's the middle finger

(01:29:49):
to the guy. Will you have no right to be
putting up middle fingers at all? At oh and seven,
I want to pick the Jets and also surprise, surprise.

Speaker 5 (01:29:57):
I want to pick the Saints, but I like to
I actually think just get their first one this week.
But I'm my official.

Speaker 4 (01:30:02):
One is gonna be Yeah, you know, I understand because
it's like the Jets have to win one, right, they
have to win one and then against the Bengals, which yeah,
we saw Joe Flacco kind of like pick up that
offense last week for Cincinnati. He did it in a
game and a half, which is impressive with Joe Flacco
coming off the couch, as we joke. But the Jets
have to win one. I just I don't see it.

(01:30:24):
I don't see this one being their win.

Speaker 5 (01:30:27):
You know, he's saying they have to win one.

Speaker 4 (01:30:30):
No, there's no laws, but it's like you are to
win one, right, like you have to win one.

Speaker 3 (01:30:36):
Titans have won one.

Speaker 5 (01:30:39):
They sure did.

Speaker 3 (01:30:41):
One one like the Jets. How can you be?

Speaker 2 (01:30:44):
I think is Arizona Arizona's gonna.

Speaker 4 (01:30:45):
Buy Arizona is one of those teams where it's like
they play well for the first like two maybe three quarters,
and then in the fourth quarter they just are like
we're good.

Speaker 5 (01:30:55):
I think that's.

Speaker 2 (01:30:56):
Gotta be Thank god we don't have to play anybody
we've been get and he smoked. But they look good
that tight getting smoked.

Speaker 3 (01:31:04):
They play well for like two three quarters and then
that's it.

Speaker 4 (01:31:06):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:31:07):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:31:07):
I don't know if it's if that's on Jonathan Gannon,
I don't know. I don't know why they unravel in.

Speaker 3 (01:31:12):
The fourth quarter.

Speaker 2 (01:31:13):
Speaking of the smoke Manci, I would say of all
these games, of all these games on this slate for Sunday,
there's only one to me that points out to being
like this needs to be an ass whooping. Right, this

(01:31:34):
needs to be a whooping. It's not the Ravens. They
just need to win, right, you know what I'm saying.
They just need to win Texans, they just need to win.

Speaker 5 (01:31:44):
They just can we please just.

Speaker 2 (01:31:45):
Get in the win column Buffalo if they win this
and they'll still feel we don't feel that much better.

Speaker 5 (01:31:50):
About them than we did going into the game.

Speaker 2 (01:31:53):
But again, a loss would feel like, oh Okay, this
guy might be really falling in Buffalo. It's Buffalo amb Baltimore,
Like the only game in it needs to be an
ass whooping.

Speaker 5 (01:32:05):
I think the Eagles need to whoop the Giants.

Speaker 2 (01:32:07):
Give them no hope, give them no like just snatch,
just have dart off target, pun attended, got a boo boo.

Speaker 3 (01:32:15):
No arm and hammer, yeah, all of that.

Speaker 5 (01:32:17):
None of that arm and I mean leg and screwdriver.

Speaker 4 (01:32:20):
I mean they you know, the Eagles need that also,
if there's any real issues with like Aj Brown, they
do want to come out and step on their throats
to prove the point. That's like we actually better off
without you, and that's part of it, right like that?

Speaker 2 (01:32:33):
Yeah, yeah, oh Aj You're you don't want to play
cool watch to score thirty five?

Speaker 5 (01:32:37):
Yeah, I can do bad all by myself.

Speaker 3 (01:32:40):
Right, I can see that especially.

Speaker 2 (01:32:43):
I think that's the game that they need, like because.

Speaker 3 (01:32:45):
Every there's so many question marks around them.

Speaker 4 (01:32:47):
Like you said, it's like the record does not seem
like a team that should be five and two the.

Speaker 5 (01:32:51):
Same way that you look at it, like a team
like the ray.

Speaker 2 (01:32:54):
Van And it's like it doesn't quite make sense when
I look at the record, get the Rocks, so don't
add up.

Speaker 3 (01:33:04):
Here, right, It's like, for sure are little fishy.

Speaker 5 (01:33:08):
That's how I feel about that.

Speaker 2 (01:33:10):
Something doesn't quite add up.

Speaker 5 (01:33:12):
Yeah, I think it's interesting too.

Speaker 2 (01:33:14):
Brandon Graham coming out of retirement to join the Eagles
because last year, as he was on the Super Bowl run,
Brandon Graham was the one that was like, yeah, you know,
things are different between one and eleven. Yeah, and there
used to be friends. I'm not sure what happened, and
it's just interesting to see like him come. I don't
expect him to have a major impact on the field.

(01:33:35):
I think he was brought in for the locker room,
which is intriguing.

Speaker 3 (01:33:41):
You don't think you've just seed the money.

Speaker 2 (01:33:44):
I hope he would just need the money, you know
what I'm saying. Me and Brandon Graham were in college
together at the same time. I actually lived down the
street for one another and he brought my dog back once.
So he's been making millions of dollars eighteen years.

Speaker 5 (01:33:58):
So I would hope that you don't.

Speaker 3 (01:34:01):
But then he was bored.

Speaker 2 (01:34:03):
I think what happens a lot is uh the guys.
And I'm not saying this is the case in particular
with Brandon Graham. But you've been on the road working
for the last twenty.

Speaker 3 (01:34:12):
Years, right, and no out of a sudden.

Speaker 2 (01:34:13):
In that twenty years, you develop a life, you get married,
with kids, whatever, and so on and so forth. There's
people at your house. They're not usual to you be
at home. Then you come home, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:34:24):
You're just you are just home.

Speaker 2 (01:34:26):
There's less milk in the carton. You know, you're just there.
The bathroom is occupied at times. It's not supposed to
be like, yeah, I get that you live here, but
you ain't leaving.

Speaker 3 (01:34:36):
We haven't been here for a long time. We weren't
prepared for this.

Speaker 5 (01:34:39):
You know, so I think it could.

Speaker 3 (01:34:40):
I like a little bit of that too. Yeah, I
think so too.

Speaker 4 (01:34:42):
I think you players when they retire and maybe like
they still have it in them, but they retire early
and they are like, man, I'm not ready for this
life to like let it go, even though there's always
the risk of major injury.

Speaker 2 (01:34:53):
Speaking of risks, paying high school students millions and millions
of go play college football for your team.

Speaker 5 (01:35:05):
Get a little.

Speaker 2 (01:35:06):
Risky and it may have gotten so bad for one guy,
he's gonna turntail and run.

Speaker 5 (01:35:13):
I'll talk about a coach, not a player.

Speaker 2 (01:35:15):
Turntail and run and spoiler alert. The player is not
gonna be on Monsey Saturday Standouts, but she will have
three that will be outstanding.

Speaker 5 (01:35:25):
We'll do that next.

Speaker 9 (01:35:26):

Speaker 2 (01:36:02):
Spent a quiet day in college football thus far kindestly
be no real big upsets. However, that one last out
Minty Belanos from her Saturdays Standouts.

Speaker 3 (01:36:17):
Listen in my Saturday Standouts today.

Speaker 4 (01:36:19):
Shockingly, I don't have an Indiana player today, even though
they crushed UCL.

Speaker 5 (01:36:24):
Could have had one.

Speaker 3 (01:36:25):
I could have had one.

Speaker 4 (01:36:26):
But I'm gonna bring out some other standouts for the
love or the love you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (01:36:30):
Let's get it going.

Speaker 14 (01:36:31):
They fake the toss, Haines breaks right on touchs hand
to the end zone for the touchdown. All hail the
homecoming King Haines King Another touchdown to his Taally and
another touchdown for Tech H's thirty three to ten Jacket's
quit six oh one in the third quarter.

Speaker 4 (01:36:50):
Yeah, you just heard on sports radio six eighty the
fan he said another quarterback to or another touchdown to Tally.
Because Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King accounted for five touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (01:37:00):
Today, Martin.

Speaker 4 (01:37:01):
He put on a show against heraccus. He threw for
three hundred and four yards three touchdowns. He also had
twelve carries to go along with ninety one yards on
the ground and two touchdowns. That Yellow Jackets stay undefeated
eight to zero for the first time since.

Speaker 2 (01:37:13):
When nineteen sixty six. That is right, I know that one.

Speaker 3 (01:37:18):
Whoo way to go Georgia Tech.

Speaker 2 (01:37:20):
All right, Oh, let's say Haines King is the ultimate
nil player for me. Look when I think of the
guys like, I don't know if he'll be a pro,
but I want him to get paid a lot of
money right now.

Speaker 3 (01:37:29):
Yes, that doesn't have to do with his name, because
his name is also awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:37:32):
That's just the way he plays.

Speaker 3 (01:37:34):
He does. If he's fun to watch, he's fun to watch,
all right.

Speaker 14 (01:37:37):
Moving on, Williams go to the counter open get foot down.

Speaker 2 (01:37:42):
Yes, touchdown Huskies.

Speaker 6 (01:37:45):
It's all fucking game.

Speaker 4 (01:37:46):
Oh yeah, you just heard on the Big Ten Network.
Washington quarterback Demon Williams Well. He threw for two hundred
and eighty yards four touchdowns. He also had ten carries
for sixty eight yards, and the Huskies outscored Number twenty
three Illinois forty two.

Speaker 3 (01:37:59):
To twenty four. So the Husky's improved to six and two.

Speaker 2 (01:38:02):
I'll tell you this, that kid can play. Yeah, he's
got a lot of stuff going for him. Jet Fish
is really high on him too. I don't know how
they'll be able to build out the rest of the roster,
but he's good.

Speaker 3 (01:38:11):
All right, let's wrap it up right.

Speaker 6 (01:38:12):
Here, Louisons yes or no?

Speaker 2 (01:38:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (01:38:18):
Since a touchdown corn test Braham Junior kiffs Memphis the league.

Speaker 3 (01:38:25):
Yeah, Memphis survived this one. Quarterback Brendan Lewis. He threw
for three hundred and seven yards and two touchdowns.

Speaker 4 (01:38:32):
He led the go ahead drive at the end with
less than four minutes.

Speaker 3 (01:38:36):
They hold on.

Speaker 4 (01:38:37):
They beat number eighteen USF thirty four to thirty one.
The Tigers improve to seven and one. You just heard
it on ESPN, But they survived that because there was
a missfield goal.

Speaker 3 (01:38:46):
At the end. That's how they came out on them.

Speaker 2 (01:38:48):
Hey, hey, bruston teens matters, they do, kickers matter. I'll
just say this was the week eight is I think
I'm pretty sure, feel confident that that is twenty one
consecutive Saturday shoutouts by standouts rather by Monte Bilanos, none
of them involving the University of Michigan.

Speaker 4 (01:39:08):
I'm just hold on, no, you when you were not here,
When you were not here, we we talked about Jeremiah Love.

Speaker 5 (01:39:17):
Who goes to their name?

Speaker 3 (01:39:19):
Damn it, damn it. I almost thought it, who's your
running back Justice Saints. No, we didn't talk about him,
never mind here. Wrong, Yeah, I'm wrong.

Speaker 5 (01:39:25):
Justin Hayes got to touchdown today.

Speaker 3 (01:39:27):
Yeah no, but that's not Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:39:28):
I was just changed out one hundred yards about thirteen
minutes left the third.

Speaker 3 (01:39:31):
Yeah yeah, yeah, No, I was wrong.

Speaker 5 (01:39:33):
You know the big you know we stand out too,
do you every?

Speaker 3 (01:39:38):
So what's the score right now?

Speaker 5 (01:39:40):
Michigan's up by two scores. I think twenty four.

Speaker 13 (01:39:43):
To seven, right, okay, all right, please please please please
have reverence.

Speaker 2 (01:39:49):
I'm just saying a moment of silence for the spark.
That moment's over all, right? Uh, then Sark hire a quarterback,
show bad.

Speaker 5 (01:39:58):
He's running to the NFL.

Speaker 2 (01:40:02):
Has anybody had I'm just I'm just sork. Diana Rossini
came out with the report today in The Athletic, said
Steve Sarkisian reportedly interested in the Titans job. He currently
works in University of Texas. Who squeaked, And I'm gonna
say squeaked, I mean squeaked, like like that little rubber
ball to get you the nerve. Squeaked today passed old

(01:40:24):
Mississippi State. I mean he took a herculean effort, one
of those do you go to the bathroom, you come
back the score?

Speaker 5 (01:40:31):
Did what?

Speaker 7 (01:40:32):
Right?

Speaker 3 (01:40:33):
He turned it off?

Speaker 5 (01:40:34):
Yeah, It's definitely a turnoff game.

Speaker 3 (01:40:36):
Absolutely.

Speaker 5 (01:40:37):
Uh. The only person that seemed to not turn it
off was Sark.

Speaker 4 (01:40:40):
But listen, I don't know what happened, but at least
we know that arch Manning can throw three touchdowns in
one quarter.

Speaker 2 (01:40:49):
You know he needs to spread it out a little more.
She throw one touchdown per court, right, and it wouldn't
have been such a dire situation. Oh wow, you know,
I'll tell you what I've worked here, sat in his
seat now for about I think three years, and Steve
de Seger's been the update anchor for most of them.
And when I tell you I just saw Steve emote,

(01:41:11):
I'll talk about two fists in the air, biceps clenched,
and a pure yes moment out of.

Speaker 8 (01:41:17):
Steve, knowing that the anchor has his own studio and
no one else. They go to the ninth at Toronto
in Game two of the World Series on Fox TV.
It's five to one Dodgers over the Blue Jays. This
game was one to one into the seventh. What did
the Dodgers need tonight more than anything else, is a

(01:41:38):
starter going deep into the game. It's what they've needed
for three months now because the bullpen is truly atrocious
for a contender. It's even worse than that. But the
fact that you get Yamamoto, who last week threw all
nine innings. They never had to touch the bullpen. He
had seven strikeouts one walk against the Brewers in that game.

(01:41:59):
He's thrown eight in with eight strikeouts, no walks. At
Toronto tonight to the top of the ninth, five to one,
LA in the lead, and Yamamoto has only thrown ninety
three pitches so he could come out for the ninth.
By the way, we have not had a pitcher throw
back to back complete games in the postseason since Kurt
Shilling almost twenty five years ago. What that's what we're

(01:42:22):
on the verge of. And yes, I assume Dave Roberts
is not taking him out after eight innings even with
a five one lead. I mean, don't say standing by
Yamamoto in the last five weeks has allowed a total
of five earned runs in these last six starts, including tonight,
It's about forty innings of work and the five earned

(01:42:46):
runs allowed total. Kevin Gosman was sensational the Blue Jays
starter tonight, but Will Smith of LA had an RBI
single in the first a solo homer in the seventh.
In between, Gosman retired seventeen straight Dodgers, and yet he
lasted just the six and two thirds, six strikeouts, no walks.
He allowed a second solo home run a couple batters

(01:43:07):

got shut out by Iowa the game before thirty seven nothing.

Back to you, thanks, Steve, Martin, Wise and Mounts Billanios
coming to you live from the Fox Sports Radio studios.
Without further ado, let's go ahead and get him in here.
He is College Football Onsider. You can see The Hard
Count on YouTube and subscribe to it wherever you get
your podcast. JD Pakell on three College Football Insider, JD,

(01:45:53):
how you doing?

Speaker 5 (01:45:54):
And I know it's a lot better than Brian Kelly
is right now.

Speaker 7 (01:45:57):
Next, man, I think we could go through a whole
list of people that are doing better than Brian Kelly
right now. Broda yourself included. I'm sure watching Michigan currently
holding serve in the Battle of the Paul Benyon Trophy. Man,
but I'm fired to be on with y'all.

Speaker 9 (01:46:12):
Man.

Speaker 7 (01:46:12):
I appreciate you having me.

Speaker 2 (01:46:13):
Thank you, thank you, and I want to start here
with and you're absolutely right. The universe is healing as
we watch Michigan leading Michigan State. That's the way things
are supposed to be. Sorry, interesting report out of the
athletic this morning. We'll start there Diana Rossini saying Steve
sarkisian interested in the Tennessee job. Do you think that

(01:46:34):
Sark would turntail and run from this bad nil investment
in arch manning? That question may be colored with a
little bit of my opinion.

Speaker 7 (01:46:42):
So I thought it was interesting that Caia came out
afterwards pretty heavily refuting that and saying this is categorically falls.
He's focused on coaching Texas, and so it's kind of
a he said, she said situation. And my gut is
that Sark is a college guy. I don't know why
he would leave Texas at this point. I understand the

(01:47:03):
whole arts manding thing has kind of thrown a wrench
into this whole thought. And I think the even the
discussion around him not being the guy calling clazy anymore,
I thought was a little bit silly with how effective
they've been offensively. So I guess my thought is like,
why would you do it unless you genuinely don't want
to deal with the direction college football is seading, which
is more worth the NFL anyway, So maybe you're not

(01:47:25):
escaping anything. There a lot of pieces there, but to me,
it just it feels a little bit funky, and the
fact that it's coming out now also doesn't totally make
a ton of sense in my mind, So I'm not
buying it as of now, Martin.

Speaker 4 (01:47:37):
All Right, earlier today, moving on from this situation with
Sarkin and Texas, the matchup today between Missouri Vanderbilt really interesting.
But Missouri suffers an injury to their quarterback. How do
you think the rest of the season goes for them?
Isn't this their second injury.

Speaker 3 (01:47:56):
To a quarterback?

Speaker 5 (01:47:58):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (01:47:58):
I mean that had so that a battle going on
between Bogabulin sam Horn the first couple of games of
the season. Head coach Eladrinquiz says, We're going to kind
of let these guys go for the first couple of
games and we'll decide North started from there. Sam Horn
goes down. So it's like, Boba Beula, we kind of
thought it was your job. Anyway, here we go. So
for me, I thought Missouri was going to be a
playoff team midway through the season. Up the schedule lined

(01:48:21):
up well for them. I love the way they run
the football, of the way they play defense. It's it's
kind of a top off for me to say, Hey,
if Bobabula stays in that game, maybe it goes differently,
but with what they have in front of them, that
Vanderbilt game was sort of one of those ones you
were counting on being a booster for you to get
you to the college football player and keep you in
that in that tense win range. So I think at

(01:48:44):
this point that with all the noise that's going to
be around their head coach, potentially being the next guy
at Florida with Elandrin Quiz, I think that's going to
be a little bit too much to overcome. And that's
again a sort of an unfortunate thing for me. Haven't
been on the Missouri hip training here for the last
couple of weeks, but it's kind of where we are
modern college football right now, y'all, isn't It's just week
in and week out piece doesn't break your way and

(01:49:07):
changes the entire complex of how your November is going
to look. So I'm currently selling my stock for anyone
looking to buy some Miszoo stocks if that's in the.

Speaker 5 (01:49:16):
Market listening here now.

Speaker 2 (01:49:18):
I'm looking at Ole miss last week blowing a fourth
quarter lead at Georgia. Generally, I feel like that's about
the time of the year where lane Cliff Lane Kiff
and all those offenses start to fall off a little
bit of a cliff. They flipped the script today going
to Oklahoma get the win. I think Mattier had a
lot to do with that. On the fourth quarter. Some

(01:49:40):
of those throws that he missed to receivers I felt
were more open than maybe he did. But All Miss
getting that win today is huge for them in conference play.
Where do you think the future of this Old Miss team?
Is kind of pigging back off of Monsei's idea in question.

Speaker 5 (01:49:57):
This feels like a team that could go on a run.

Speaker 7 (01:50:01):
Oh one n one hundred and ten percent. And the
funny thing about Ole Miss too, is like none of
it makes any sense, none of it because last you're
supposed to be the year right when you got a
first year quarterback or a first round quarterback brows or
a first round offensive lineman. You're not supposed to take
a guy from the D two and then go make
a run of the college football playoff. You're not supposed
to blow a nine point lead to Georgia and then

(01:50:24):
be able to reset on the road against arguably the
best defense in college football. Affesially, with all the discussion
around your head coach taking another like, there's so many
things where I'm like, that makes no sense, that makes
no sense, that makes no sense, And maybe that's exactly
why it's happening this year in the most wacky year
of college football that I can remember really since two
thousand sevens. And even that's kind of a separate category

(01:50:44):
with Cove expanded the playoffs. So to answer your question directly,
I believe that the ESPN numbers they've crunched with their
whole playoff predictor is like seventy three percent now is
where they have ole miss when it comes to them
making the playoff. And if you get Lane Kippen on
the field with somebody else, if I'm drafting game planners,
he's probably, if not the first pick, he's in the

(01:51:06):
top two for me. So all I'm saying is hit
him on the field, lock the gates, get Trinidaddy Chambler's
a chance to go spin, and I think all Mess
is a real shot to make it run.

Speaker 4 (01:51:15):
Absolutely, So there's no clear you know, standout for the Heisman,
but Haines King and Georgia Tech undefeated, you know, first
time since ninety sixty six, that they're eight and zero
to day, King accounted for five touchdowns. Does he ever
move up in the Heisman odds?

Speaker 7 (01:51:36):
I think he asked you my question here. I'm holding
my breath for the guy every single snacks. I'm like,
he's just I'll talk to ar producer. He's donating his
body to college football. Will stab at that. Like Georgia
Tech is that team that I'm watching every weekend, And
I'm like, it's like that that marathon runner that we
all know. Whenever you go watch your friend run their

(01:51:58):
half marathon or whatever they're doing and they're just laboring
through it. You're like, you look like you're an excruciating pain.
You have no air pods in you're just willing to
think through. Uh. That has been Georgia Tech. It's not pretty,
but they're looking like they're going to commit to the
finish line in a wild situation. That is the acc
So yes, he should move up in the odds. But

(01:52:18):
I have no idea what's going on with Georgia Tech
in the month of November, because I have no idea
how this kind of pace is sustainable for them with
how physical he runs the football.

Speaker 2 (01:52:28):
Yeah, I was telling Monci earlier today, Haines King to
me is the definition of the nil guy. Like, that's
a guy.

Speaker 5 (01:52:36):
I don't know what his.

Speaker 2 (01:52:37):
Professional like prospects are, but I want him to make
a lot of money right now, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (01:52:43):
That's how I feel.

Speaker 5 (01:52:45):
I wanted to make a lot of money right now.

Speaker 7 (01:52:47):
I can't even tell he's a good quarterback, but he's
a freaking dog.

Speaker 2 (01:52:50):
Yeah, I don't care, but I should think that's what's beautiful.

Speaker 5 (01:52:53):
About this sport.

Speaker 2 (01:52:54):
I don't care if he's a good quarterback because I've
sat here and I've watched him, you know, fall down
nine times, get up with thirty million right and watch
him beat Georgia like like I watched it in that
overtime game. I watched this guy just take hits after hit.
He's what like, JD. You know this better than I do.
But when football coaches compliment somebody by calling him a

(01:53:15):
football player, henks King, as I am having football player.

Speaker 5 (01:53:21):
To true and true, that's exactly how I feel about
the kid. Now. I will say this.

Speaker 2 (01:53:27):
If you need anything on college football, top to bottom,
left to right, all up and down for all the program,
JD Pickel is your guy. You can find him on
the Hard Count. It's on usual. I listen to the podcast.
I'm old school. I don't have time to watch all
these videos. I'm listening to stuff, all right. I'm doing
things all right. But if you know, if you're a
YouTube person, you get a hard count on YouTube all

(01:53:47):
that on three College Football Insider. He's on Twitter at
JD Pickel. J D thanks coming on the show.

Speaker 5 (01:53:52):
My guy.

Speaker 7 (01:53:53):
Always pleasure. Y'all appreciate you.

Speaker 2 (01:53:55):

I mean I see some of the tweets.

Speaker 2 (01:54:19):
Yeah, honestly, they don't have to be nice, you know, say,
just provide a review.

Speaker 5 (01:54:23):
All right? Again, this hurts five just hurts Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (01:54:33):
What is this joker like?

Speaker 2 (01:54:35):
I mean Ronald McDonald's I smile on Mansi's face for
We'll get to that in just a minute. Bart and
Weiss Monster Vilano's Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (01:54:43):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:54:47):
You know, I'm not a baseball historian, but uh, Yoshinobu
Yamamoto has thrown consecutively eighteen of the sweetest.

Speaker 5 (01:55:01):
Innings I've ever seen, back to back.

Speaker 2 (01:55:03):
Can you know then? I say eighteen because the boy
didn't come out last twenty batters sat right back down?

Speaker 3 (01:55:09):
Is action shot?

Speaker 5 (01:55:10):
Well, there you go.

Speaker 4 (01:55:11):
I'm gonna put this out so people know right when
you were talking about Yamamoto and his dominance, this is
the moment that you.

Speaker 3 (01:55:17):
Were talking about.

Speaker 4 (01:55:18):
Al post that with a link to the podcast so
everyone could see it.

Speaker 5 (01:55:22):
That is such like it's gotta be almost similar to that.

Speaker 2 (01:55:27):
Of course, like quite everything in football, like when you
know you have a great quarterback, so really, no amount
is insurmountable. No point amount is insurmountable. When you have
a guy who you feel good about going out there
and legitimately having an opportunity to get twenty seven outs,
you feel good about it. Of course, when he actually
does get twenty seven consecutive outs back to back, you

(01:55:50):
just say that that's the type of.

Speaker 5 (01:55:52):
Thing that wins you series.

Speaker 2 (01:55:53):
Absolutely, that's the type of thing that with Like I
think the NLCS is probably not a sweep if the
bullpen comes up in game two.

Speaker 3 (01:56:03):
Yeah we'll never know, right, but we'll never know. But yes, totally.

Speaker 4 (01:56:07):
And the way it's just like his performance today, it
needed to be this type of dominant performance in order
for Toronto to not walk away from this still feeling
good about themselves, you know what I mean, Like the
way that they killed us in game one.

Speaker 3 (01:56:22):
This completely even the series.

Speaker 4 (01:56:24):
It wasn't like the Dodgers won two to one and
the Toronto's going into the locker room being like, guys,
we got this.

Speaker 3 (01:56:29):
The next one it was two to one, we got it.

Speaker 4 (01:56:30):
No, this was a completely dominant performance by Yoshinoba Yamamoto.
And I don't know, I don't know what what Toronto
is gonna say in the locker room in the clubhouse
following this loss, but they're probably thinking, all right, we
don't have to see him for a couple of games.

Speaker 3 (01:56:47):
We don't have to see him for a couple of games.

Speaker 2 (01:56:49):
Guys, we're okay, we won't see him again until a
close out time that's the case.

Speaker 3 (01:56:53):
If that's the case, so let's get it together.

Speaker 4 (01:56:56):
But the Dodgers, Yeah, remember a couple of weeks ago
where you were like, I don't I don't see why
teams don't just or moving in the direction of just
having relief pictures.

Speaker 2 (01:57:04):
No, what I was saying was I would This is
kind of the argument correct of what I was making.
I think I think that if baseball started today, we
would have everyone would have an opener.

Speaker 5 (01:57:14):
Did you have a starter who's now a starter?

Speaker 2 (01:57:17):
Be like a guy who comes in second, third, or
fourth then to do exactly what Yamamo did.

Speaker 4 (01:57:22):
You started the game right and then didn't come out,
and it just you don't have to worry about everyone
else having to do their job because he did his job,
which makes it just a smidge easier. Yeah, I'm glad
to see you, know, I mean Otani, I don't know
what he ended with, but he started over three and
Mookie was over three. So it's good to see will
Smith getting those hits, Max month, Max Montsy and then
them adding on top of the home runs, getting some

(01:57:42):
more hits and getting some more.

Speaker 3 (01:57:44):
Runs because uh Toronto's not is not going to go away.
They they don't. They think they can do this.

Speaker 2 (01:57:52):
They should, they should.

Speaker 3 (01:57:53):
They're the best team in the AL for a reason.

Speaker 2 (01:57:55):
Especially after you know, after you what happened in Game
one was us yesterday. It was only twenty four hour.
Uh O, Ton even finished one for four, bets, oh
for three, Freeman one for three.

Speaker 4 (01:58:08):
Okay, all right, Hey, some hits better than no hits,
some hits better than no hits.

Speaker 5 (01:58:15):
That's that's what you get on the Sick podcast.

Speaker 2 (01:58:20):
Obviously, Monty knows their stuff, to the point that Aaron
Torres came in. He said, MONTI interrupt your Saturday night
and come on my show. Come on my show. He did,
because we need to talk baseball now. So the series
now goes back to Los.

Speaker 4 (01:58:34):
Angeles, correct three games in LA Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. I'll
be there Monday.

Speaker 5 (01:58:38):
I don't love that schedule.

Speaker 4 (01:58:41):
I don't either, but I guess it makes sense for
the purpose of not traveling back and forth back and forth.
I mean sure, but you know I like the back
and forth back and forth like two to two one
one one.

Speaker 2 (01:58:56):
I mean, USC is gonna fly and play Rutgers this year,
like we could, they could travel.

Speaker 5 (01:59:01):
They can figure it.

Speaker 4 (01:59:02):
Out, right, But it's not a it's like back and forth,
back and forth, back and forth, which I'm all for.

Speaker 3 (01:59:05):
I think it's more interesting that way.

Speaker 2 (01:59:07):
Yeah, I would rather, you know, and I guess you
don't want to space not too long, all right, A
lot of conversation for before Game one.

Speaker 6 (01:59:14):
Yeah, rest verse, rust, Yes, a.

Speaker 5 (01:59:17):
Week off first seven games?

Speaker 2 (01:59:19):
Well, how much credit or discredit rather do you give
the week off for the Dodgers.

Speaker 4 (01:59:26):
Well, clearly for Blake Snell it was rust and not
rest since he came out again. Toronto's just did a
really good job in that first inning of making sure
they tired out or used up as much as they
could of Blake Snell, and so they did a really
good job. But for Blake Snell, it does seem like
the rest did not happen. But it's the World Series.

(01:59:48):
So it's kind of like every to me when it
comes to the World Series with these two teams right now,
it's like.

Speaker 3 (01:59:53):
Throw all of the stats, throw them out the window.
It doesn't matter whatever happened during the regular season. I
don't care.

Speaker 4 (01:59:58):
So this rest rest thing It's like, I don't know
how much I really want to buy into because I
do believe, I do think that's a real thing.

Speaker 3 (02:00:04):
And the Dodgers in the past have not.

Speaker 4 (02:00:06):
Done well when they get this rest this particular one,
i'd say Blake Snell obviously didn't benefit from it. But
Dodgers look good today. Dodgers look like they're going to
push this.

Speaker 7 (02:00:18):
You know.

Speaker 2 (02:00:19):
And on a day where you're seeing college football rivalries
everywhere Kansas, Kansas State, Michigan, Michigan State, it's good to
know order is being restored.
