Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
That is right, another Fox Football Saturday with F and A.
I am Kevin Figures at kfig one is where you
can find me on X He is Adam Allston. You
can find him on X at follow Adam. A got
a big show coming up tonight, Adam, I.
Speaker 3 (00:18):
Would say, so we got the return of geek News
after we got through my horribly long Halloween movie list
marathon over a three week span last week. Finally, because
you know it's November now, so we'll talk about video games,
little video game fact of the week, so.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
We don't have the Thanksgiving lineup of movies coming up
this week.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
With thanks Killing in there, and you know the turkey
that comes out and comes after all the humans. We'll
get to that eventually as we get closer and closer
and talk about our favorite sides, because that's like the
Thanksgiving of ketchup on a hot dog. Doesn't belong their
conversations on Sportstoft Radio, Well.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Of course. Well you could be like my wife who
just prefers all sides, doesn't want any main courses.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
So I mean the sides might be the best part sometimes. Now,
if you make the right combo with the turkey and
get some stuffing in there and gravy so it's not
too dry. Okay, we'll get into this in a few weeks.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Mike ry fine, Fine, coming up later.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
Mike Sander's gonna join us from the athletic. Of course,
he had the QB Tier list that made a ton
of news before this season started. We'll catch up with
him as we are past the midway point of the
NFL season. But I don't think we're starting with any
of that yet. We got other stuff to talk about.
(01:33):
Let's get into first off here, Kevin, Let's do.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
It the time.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Let's wrong.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
Weat them boys, them cowboys. This is what's funny to me.
Jerry Jones and the media both do the exact same
thing to one another. They use each other for the
same purposes. Jerry Jones wants attention. The media wants to
use his sound bites to also garner attention, playing off
of whatever he said with talking heads then analyzing it
(02:02):
and saying how dumb he is for doing this or that,
And it's like it's a self fulfilling prophecy or just
just feeds into itself. Everybody this week is now criticizing
them for making a trade a different one this time.
I just I don't understand it. They're the same, They're
the same.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
I get it to a degree. It's to your point,
it's a self perpetuating loop because with these talking head
shows in general, the people complain that they always talk
about the same thing. It's Lebron, it's the Cowboys, it's
the Lakers. There's a reason why that's the case is
because that's what people around the country most often want
to talk about. Jerry knows that, so Jerry can say anything.
(02:42):
He'll say the most offul wall thing, and he knows
that's gonna be the lead topic on the talking head shows.
So Jerry says things to try to get a pub
for the Cowboys. Those shows do it because they know
people are gonna watch. So it's like the whole recycled
reduce reuse. Just just fill the loop in, that's all
it is. And then we saw Cowboys, Jerry talks, we
talk about what Jerry said, and the cycle continues.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
And we are currently guilty of it doing it in
our a block like everybody else does. But he uses
their platform on these networks to help promote the Cowboys
and keep them relevant. They all act like they don't
want to talk about it or it's just more Cowboys drama,
but they love it. They eat it up, and then
they crucify him when he makes another move.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
This is the thing.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
The Cowboys have made some bad moves over the years.
We know this many so whenever whenever they make a
good move, it's like, oh, it's still just crazy Jerry Jones.
We can't give anyone any credit. I think that's happening
here with what they just did this week. Kevin, I
have to say the Williams trade, the Quentin Williams trade,
to me, actually makes sense in a lot of ways.
(03:50):
But he's still getting blasted because it's Jerry Jones.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Yeah, well, Jerry's gonna get a lesson until the Cowboys
win a championship. While Jerry Jones is still the owner
and still around, he's going to continue to get criticized
for every single thing that he does. But he puts
himself out there. He's the only owner of a team. Granted,
he's also the general manager who speaks to the media
after every single solitary game. He's the only person that
does that. He puts himself front and center part of me. Honestly,
(04:15):
Adam respects it to a degree because he's willing to
wear it. He's willing to say, yeah, whatever's on his mind.
He's willing to make crazy moves trading Micah Parsons away,
and he stands there and talks to the media and
wears it. I'll give him credit for that. He does
not hide behind it.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
So we can go back to where we were when
we heard about the Micah Parsons trade and how that
ties into what happened this week as well during the
trade deadline, specifically with the Cowboys here. My position then was,
I can't justify paying Micah Parsons almost fifty million a
year for this Cowboys team because he's not going to
(04:49):
put them over the top. They got too many issues
going on. The defense was bad last season with him,
but I understand it for Green Bay. Now, I was
waiting to see what what else happened with this Cowboys team,
either through the draft with the picks they got for
Green Bay or now they traded one of them, and
they've made a move for a defensive tackle, and not
just a defensive tackle, maybe the best run stopper in
(05:12):
the game at least according to Pro Football Focus, and
we take their word as gospel.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
I guess, well, to start to a certain degree. I
mean a PFF doesn't necessarily know like certain guys, certain schemes.
They just look at individual players to discount what they do.
Never wrong, but I won't say that they're never wrong,
but they're on top of it. One thing I will
say Adham though, and I was critical of the Parsons trade.
We disagreed about this and debated about it a couple
of times on the show.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
It was a good one.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
I will say this. This is a pretty damn good
recovery from that. So if you look at the fallout
from the Parsons trade and the Quinn Williams trade, here's
essentially what happened. Dallas ended up getting Kenny Clark, Quinn Williams,
a first round pick and basically cap space that they're
saving by not signing Parsons to that giant deal. What
they end up losing Micah Parsons, a second round pick,
(05:59):
and Mazie's Smith, who was the first round bust a
defensive tackle. So in amalgam, if you look at it
at the end of the day, it doesn't really look
all that terrible for the Cowboys. Now, Kenny Clark has
lost a step. I think that's clear as day seeing
his performance in the way the Cowboy defense has performed.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
And they probably oversold how good he was to the
public when they brought him in to try and save face, like,
we got Kenny Clark out of this, and he's going
to help the running stop.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
The run hasn't helped at all, to be honest with you. Now,
Quinn Williams definitely should help to a certain degree. I
think he's not the same player he was a couple
of years ago, but he's still a really, really good player,
and he'll end up helping and shoring up that defensive front,
but still having another first round pick. You have two
first round picks going into next season and cap space
to be able to sign other players. I still would
(06:43):
not have traded Michael Parsons because I don't think you
trade away great players. I think you try to fortify
and build around them. But all things considered, I think
they could have done a lot worse. All of a sudden,
now that we make out here after the trade deadline,
where they sit now and how this sets them up
for the future because Quentin Williams, by the way, is
under contract through twenty twenty seven, so he's cost control
for the next couple of years.
Speaker 5 (07:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
Now to go back to skewering the national media because
I'm a hater and a self hater because I think
we're a part of the national media. They've been saying,
why do this now you're three five and one. You
can't save the season. Last time I checked, you just
mentioned it. Williams is not a rental. He's going to
(07:24):
be around for at least two more seasons. He apparently
was looking for an extension with the Jets, so he
might get one from the Cowboys at some point. He's
turning twenty eight in December. I still think he's in
his prime, especially when it comes to stopping the run.
I know the sack numbers are down a little bit
this year. Some of that stuff can always be circumstantial.
I remember in like Julius Pepper's third or fourth year,
(07:46):
when he should have been at his best. He had
a two or three sax season out of nowhere. He
had a lot of QB hurries, but he just was
never the guy to bring down the quarterback. So I
don't put everything into that. But this is not some reactionary,
reflexive move to just quiet the criticism after trading Micah Parsons.
This is not a shot in the dark. This is
(08:06):
not a high risk, high reward move. It's low risk. Actually,
he's on a decent contract. He's making over twenty million
less per season than Micah Parsons is and they only
gave up one of the first round picks they got
for Micah.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
And when he's up for an extension, either at the
end of this season or next season, whenever he wants it,
even as one of the better interior alignment in the NFL,
he's still gonna garner less than with someone like Marca
Parsons as a premier pass rusher is going to garner
out there on the market, So they're gonna save money
just based on that, and also the idea that this
season is completely over for them. I don't think they're
gonna make the postseason, but the possibility is still there.
(08:41):
They're only two games out of the final wildcard spot.
At this point in time, we know they can score
a lot of points. I mean, when this is all
now granted last week against the Cardinals, notwithstanding.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Generally speaking, you called that, Kevin, I said that was
going to happen, and it did.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
Yeah, Generally speaking, this team is gonna score twenty between
twenty four and thirty one points every single week. Their
defense just kills them week in and week out. If
their defense can just be half decent, there's no reason
to believe that they can't inch their way back into
this race. They do have a tough schedule coming up.
But I would I would pause for people saying that
this is a move for the future and that they
(09:15):
can't potentially compete this year because we can score points
the way that they can score. Their defense just need
to be average or close to average, and I think
they still have a chance to be able to make
a run this year.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
So it's not just a long term move. It's not
just a short term gain for long term pain or
something it makes sense for now in the future. It's
not an over compensation move where you're reckless because you
just want to bring in somebody to make up for
the loss of Micah Parsons. And you're saying they still
have a chance. Cowboys fans are like, don't give me hope,
(09:45):
don't never.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Tell Well, they'll end up crushing it in the first
round of the wildcard round anyway, you know that.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
But yeah, they have a history of how many playoff
wins since nineteen ninety six three four?
Speaker 2 (09:57):
Count them on one hand, I know that you can.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
The other part of the Quinn Williams deal that is
interesting to me is defensive tackles often take a little
bit longer to see what they're going to be, to
see how good or how bad or how dominant they
can be. Like it took him till his fourth year,
I think, to make the Pro Bowl, and he's made
the Pro Bowl his last three seasons. I was thinking
about Derek Brown with the Panthers. This is somebody who
(10:20):
wasn't that great his first few years and then turned
it on and now you're seeing the Carolina Panthers at
five and four. They're playing better defensively. So what the
Cowboys did is instead of taking that risk on a
draft pick and rolling the dice, because you never know,
it doesn't matter if they have the pedigree, if they're
out of Alabama or Georgia or one of these SEC
(10:41):
guys in the trenches. You don't know how good they're
going to be at this level. So they already bypassed
the mystery box of finding out how good Quinn Williams
is going to be, and they have him for prime
years because defensive tackles typically age more gracefully, like they
can play for a long time because it's a lot
of power. It's not just quickness and speed when you're
(11:04):
controlling the middle, and now you can build from the
middle from the inside out defensively, you actually have a
foundational piece to start to figure out the puzzle the
rest of the puzzle with. When it comes to fixing this.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Defense, yeah, now the issue is going to be even
if their run defense improves, which I think it will
even starting this season, I think Quinna Williams will make
an immediate impact. What do you do about that pass rush.
It's not like they have some you know, lockdown cornerbacks
on the back end either. Treyvon Diggs is on injury reserve,
and quite honestly, even when he's healthy, I think he's
one of the more overrated players in the league. He
makes a lot of plays, but he gives up a
(11:37):
lot of big plays.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
Speaking of high risk, high reward, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
Doron Blant is a good player. I think he's kind
of overrated based on his PFF grade, to be honest
with you, just based on someone who Seeson week in
week out. He's a very good player, but not somebody
that I would trade Michael Parsons away for for to
justify giving him a contract extension. So I don't know
what they They still need a lot of help when
it comes to the rushing the passer. Tomarion Overstrown was
a rookie linebacker for them last year, has been out
(12:01):
all season with an injury. He's coming back after the
bye week. He's going to give them a huge boost too.
So they have reinforcements coming in defensively, but the pass
rush is still a question mark. So even if they're
able to stop the run, I don't know if there's
enough improvement up front for them to be able to
rush the passer and be able to stop up people
from making big plays in the passing game. But Jerry
Jones did admit this to Adam two weeks ago. He says,
(12:22):
we're not a player away from improving this defense. We
need a lot of help. So at least he's self
aware enough to know this. Quinnin Williams is not a
panacea to steal a word from Phil Jackson from years ago. No,
he's going to help. He's a part of the solution,
but he's not going to be the end all be
all to make to take them to the next level.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
But I would argue neither was Michael Parsons. He was
with them last year and they were still bad defensively,
and they were still bad against the run. And he's
not great against the run. He's an elite.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
Right at him. Yeah, so I don't see this.
Speaker 3 (12:53):
I'm not saying that he's a better player than Michael Parsons.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
He's not.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
But I am saying, for twenty million less per season,
you free up that money. And if they end up
holding on to George Pickens because of that, and you
have Williams and you have an extra first round pick
that Michael Parsons straight ain't looking too bad all of a.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
Sudden, Yeah, Well, and also I think a big part
of it is what do you end up doing with
that draft pick too. You know, we talked about this
with the Khali mac tray with the Raiders and the Bears,
and like who won it first. I don't know if
either of them won it, because neither of them really
reached the goal that they wanted to reach. You know,
the Bears got a really good player for four or
five years, but never really did a whole lot. The
Raiders thought they were getting first round picks to be
foundational pieces to you know, a rebuild and a perennial
(13:36):
playoff contender. They made the playoffs once and Josh Jacobs
is no longer there. Who was the main draft pick
that they actually hit in that trade. So these things,
first of all, take a couple of years to play
themselves out, so we can't say who won or lost
even based on this movie here Quinn Williams. Yet we
have to wait a couple of years for this to
play out. But you get multiple first round picks out
of it. Maybe you parlay those move up and you
(13:58):
get the next the second coming, get Micah Parson. The
issue is, when you get a generational player like that,
the likelihood of you finding another player like that in
the draft is extremely, extremely thin. Yeah, so that's the
risk that you take.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
I just look, they have nine of their eleven offensive
players to my knowledge, under contract for the next two
seasons after this one. That's on the same timeline as Williams.
We'll see what happens with George Pickens. He's one of
the guys that isn't that isn't under contract, and Javonte
Williams is not under contract for the next two years.
(14:31):
But nine of their eleven guys on the offensive side
are taken care of. So if you want to extend
out this era for two or three more years because
of how good And I gotta give Dak a ton
of credit for how good he's looked this season. It's
my quarterback because I've.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
Been hard on him. Yeah, I'm my habit. He's looked
like when Dak is healthy, this is how he plays
in the regular season at the very least.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
Yeah, And I think you can sell the fan base
and Jerry Jones on wanting to keep this error going.
If you have Ceedee Lamb and George Pickens next to
one another, that's a top three wide receiver duo in
the league. And if your offense is that potent, and
if they start figuring out the rest of the defensive
guys that they need to fill in with around Quinnon Williams,
(15:15):
let's say they're a top twelve defense. Oh my god,
they're a little bit better than middle of the pack
with that offense, you might be cooking something.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
Now, sky's the limit. I mean, if they can get
to number twenty, because right now I believe they're like
twenty ninth against the pass and thirty second or thirtieth
against the run later in the bottom metric of every
single meaningful statistical category on the defensive side of the ball.
If they can just be somewhat average or even just
slightly below average with the offense that they have, easily
at the very least, they're a playoff consenter. At the
(15:45):
very least.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
I think the Cowboys maybe they lucked into this to
some degree, although I heard they were interested in him
during the offseason as well. Maybe they just rebounded nicely
after Micah Parsons and this fell in their lap. Or
maybe this was some intelligent design and they're smarter than
we gave them credit.
Speaker 5 (16:06):
Don't get tough.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
They' I'm not willing to go that far, to be
honest with.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
Because of past history or recent history.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
I think there's just kind of I won't say it
fell on their lap, because apparently there are many other
teams that were also interested in Quinn Williams, and they
came forward with the best package. But uh, they traded
Micah Parsons. Obviously they they didn't openly admit it was
a mistake, but I mean, based on the way that
they were playing this year, at the very least some
of those closer games earlier in the season, you have
a closer like Parsons that could certainly be a factor
(16:32):
in helping you close those out. And opportunity presents itself
where a team like the Jets is terrible, but they
have really good players on the defensive side, They're willing
to unload, and to a certain degree, you just kind
of pounced on an opportunistic situation. I'll give them credit
for making the trade, but they didn't have press science
in making this trade, I guess, is my point.
Speaker 3 (16:49):
You're saying, it's like Nico Harrison acting like it was
all part of the plan that we were gonna get
Cooper Flagg. He couldn't have known they were gonna end
up with the number one pick, and now he's trying
to save his job by acting like.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
This was the vision all along. Which, by the way,
since we're talking about Dallas and you brought up Nico Harrison,
can't help us the irony of it. I don't know
if you saw the support from the athletic on Friday
that Anthony Davis came into training camp white thirty pounds overweight.
Now he said he came in overweight on purpose because
he loses weight during the season, which guys do oh,
(17:22):
I saw it. But he's been sluggish and even though
his numbers are fine, and now he's hurt. Well, now
he's hurt. But I mean at the first couple of
games he actually did play. A lot of scouts are like,
it doesn't quite look the same. The irony around the
fact that they traded Luka Doncic away because he was
fat and out of shape, and Luka Doncik, Luka Donjik
basically traded his fat and gave it to Anthony Davis
in the offseason. That's how that worked. They traded were
(17:44):
traded from each other from Eli to Dallas, and Luka
Doncick took his fat and shipped it off to Dallas
over to Anthony Davis and put it on his body.
That's basically how it or.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
Shipped the fat out. I'm not going to call for
anyone's job, but I am surprised when every week we're
talking about another college football coach being fired, and I'm
looking over and I'm seeing the Dallas Mavericks who are
like two and six or something after they lost again tonight.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
I think two and seven. Now they lost.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
They're in complete shambles. Kyrie is out for maybe the
entire season. Maybe he comes back in March. Maybe it's
not going to matter because they're going to be so
far out of the playoff picture. Whatever Nico's vision was,
and he said it, we are going to be a
contender that is going up in smoke. I just wonder
when that alert is coming from sham Sharania.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
Well here's the issue too, And not to get too
much on an NBA tangent here, but since we.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
Are sticking with Dallas, Jo, we are in Dallas.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
But when moves of that magnitude are made, you really
think that Nico Harrison is the guy that really pulled
the trigger on that for it wasn't ownership now the problem, Adam,
I'll say this, He's the front man for it. He's
the one that has to do the speaking in the
media and has to justify it and if and when
this thing potentially goes south and to completely caters out
out our Crater's out. He's going to be the one
(19:02):
that's gonna have to wear it and probably be cost
his job. But let's not say here in act like
that a move of that magnitude when you move a
generational player simply fell into the lap of Nico Harrison.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
I'll say this from what I heard the New ownership group.
You know, Mark Cuban's a minority owner now right, they
had a kind of lase fair approach. And if I'm
Nico and somebody's telling me to do this move, I
am going to quit because it's going to hurt me
getting that next job. If I trade Luka Doncic, who's
(19:34):
top five in MVP odds right now and looks better
than ever, like, I can't let that happen. I do
think this was mostly on Nico and arrogance and ego
and his relationship with Rapaulnka and the fact that mama mentality.
You gotta have mama mentality, and because Luka Doncic didn't,
(19:56):
he thought it was okay to ship him out. I
just and then, as you mentioned, Anthony Davis now comes
in over it. Wait, it's crazy.
Speaker 2 (20:03):
Now it look looks like he has the mom mentality
to me. But what do I know. I'm not an
NBA executive. I couldn't see that coming coming up next.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
I know k Fig knows a ton about college football,
and we got our first college football playoff rankings release
this week.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
We got to get into it.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
K Fig is upset, and uh, I'm gonna be right
there with him somehow. You're listening to FNA.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
All right, Kevin, I hear you gotta take because there's
something you don't like that happened this week with the
first edition of the college football rankings being released here.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
Well, I don't know where you want me to start.
First of all, this happens every single year when it
comes to these polls, which is why I'm just generally
not a fan of polls and subjectivity in general and
determining who the best teams are, who ends up making
the postseason and all that. Jazz. Let me ask you
a question, Adam. Okay, Notre Dame checks in at number
ten on the CFP ranking, copy eight spots ahead of
(21:41):
the University of Miami. Both teams are six and two,
and last time I checked, the University of Miami defeated
Notre Dame to open the season. So explain to me
how the University of Miami at six and two is
eight spots behind Notre Dame at six and two. I'm
gonna explain to me.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
I'm gonna big brain this, I'm gonna do it. I
can do this.
Speaker 2 (22:03):
Go ahead.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
Miami's lost two of their last three. They don't look
the same as they did early in the season when
they beat Notre Dame.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
All right, so we're going off of the recency bias
and who's playing well now and who's the best team
at this point in time. Sure, I'll give you that.
If they hadn't played each other had to head on
the field. What does the resume matter at that point
in time if we're just it's literally just style points
at that point in time, which is part of the
subjectivity matter that I hate about this whole situation. Miami
(22:31):
and Notre Dame played each other on the field, and
Miami beat them. It doesn't matter when it happened. It
was this calendar year, it was this season. Played on
the field, Miami beat them. They have the exact same record.
If you want to argue the resume part about it, Adam, fine,
then put Notre Dame one spot behind Miami or one
spot I had, maybe, but there's no justification to have
(22:53):
Miami eight spots by Notre Dame when they beat them
on the field, because if that's the case, why even
play the games? What's the point?
Speaker 3 (22:59):
So you don't think getting later into the season that
a team could erode or improve.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
One thousand They can absolutely.
Speaker 3 (23:10):
And which side is Miami on there? Are they getting better?
They get worse.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
Sure they're getting worse, but they beat them on the field.
It'd be different if Miami had two losses and Notre
Dame had one, then maybe I'll be able to be
more of an argument. But you can't act like the
you can't act like the game on the schedule just
didn't matter. Why did they play the game? What does
the game matter? Then?
Speaker 3 (23:27):
I think it's a factor. But Notre Dame's other loss
is close to Texas A and M who's number three
in the college football rankings. Miami's lost to SMU and Louisville.
Speaker 2 (23:39):
Great, they also beat Notre Dame on the field. If
I'm sorry, Adam, they're talking about this, there's no justification.
There isn't. You can give me common opponents and common
and they're gonna have a common opponent at the end
of the season. They both end up playing Pitt who's
climbed up and played really well in the ACC recently.
So maybe that's gonna be a common denominator to figure
out how this thing plays out. The AEC in general
(24:00):
hasn't gotten a lot of love, by the way, just
based on these rankings. No, they haven't wish to a degree.
I guess they understand because they don't really have a
lot of rating points in their in their favor. Their schedules,
trendth of schedule is not up there. When it comes
to the SEC in the Big Ten. But that's the
most glary thing for me is why are we scheduling
non conference bold non conference games? If you're telling me
in my face that if I beat a team that
is a CFP contender like Notre Dame, that I don't
(24:23):
even have a seat at the table, despite the fact
that I beat them on the field, I mean part
that makes no sense to me.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
I'm old enough to remember when Florida State beat Bama
early in the season. What did that mean?
Speaker 2 (24:32):
Nothing?
Speaker 3 (24:33):
Nothing. Florida State's miserable, They're awful.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
But Alabama. Look who they've beaten since then. They've beaten Tennessee,
They've beaten all these top teams. So and also, if
Florida State was still good, if Florida State actually had
recovered and Florida State was playing was still playing well,
and they only had one loss, just like Alabama, I'd
be saying the exact same thing, despite the fact that
Alabama would have all these ranked wins, and despite the
fact that Florida State will be playing in a weak ACC.
Speaker 3 (24:57):
Look, I think you have a good argument. I'm just
posing what must have been said by the committee. Now
they are rivals, and I'm sounded more like their former
coach Al Golden here with his playclock and last two
minutes issues going on.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
Miami has that continue going on with Mario Christobal in
the last couple of years, and that very little has
changed on that front.
Speaker 3 (25:21):
Where would you put them? Where would you have both
of these teams? If you're arguing, if you're a committee member,
what's your argument and where are you ranking them?
Speaker 2 (25:32):
Well, I'm probably moving Notre Dame down at least a
couple of spots, and I'm moving Miami up. The fact
that they defeated Notre Dame, and Notre Dame has recovered
and played as well as they've played, and they had
that lost to Texas Tech. I can justify both of
them being in the fifteen to sixteen range ish, that's fine.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
Would you have Miami in front of them or behind them,
but just not buy as many spots as they currently are.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
I would have Miami in front of them, but by
now as many spots behind as Notre Dame. There's not
an eight game gap between the two, and I can
acknowledge that Notre Dame is a better team right now.
I can potentially say that, but they still beat them
on the field, and so that has to count for something,
And honestly, that has to be the ultimate trump card
on top of anything else that happens. Unless the only
cavity I'll throw in there at him is if an
(26:15):
important player is hurt CJ. Carr didn't play for Notre Dame,
or there was another key player who was out and
they ended up losing that game. Jeremiah Love a great player,
one of the best running backs in the entire nation.
If he was out and they lost that game, it'd
be different. I think that changes the factor a little bit.
But opening weekend, everybody's healthy and Notre Dame lost.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
Let me pick it something though, because you did say
that you think they're better today than Miami.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
Yeah, what do you think the.
Speaker 3 (26:43):
Spread would be if they were playing today? Between these
two teams?
Speaker 2 (26:45):
Notre Dame will probably favored by a touchdown at least.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
Well, does it not matter where both teams are at
today versus what happened back in week one or.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
Two absent injury, No, it does not.
Speaker 3 (26:59):
Head to head to you takes priorities still over that hell, even.
Speaker 2 (27:03):
Though you had hit to head takes priority over every
single solitary thing you throw at me unless there was
a significant injury factor in that game.
Speaker 3 (27:11):
But you're saying you think Notre Dame is better today?
Speaker 2 (27:14):
Yeah, absolutely, And I will acknowledge that it's a made
for TV product and you want the best matchups and
it's on all that. I I can acknowledge all of that,
but you diminish every single argument gets diminished if you're
telling me that it had to head matchup. AB's an
injury factor, doesn't matter.
Speaker 3 (27:30):
What if Miami just had better losses though? What if
they didn't have their two losses being Louisville an SMU
because they look so down upon the ECC.
Speaker 2 (27:40):
Louisville is not a bad team, by the sure.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
And SMU was in the playoff last year obviously as
a new year, but this is I think it's what
have you done for me recently? And maybe bias against ACC,
maybe bias for Notre Dame.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
Hell.
Speaker 3 (27:56):
I always think Notre Dame is overrated, but it's not
like Miami is nobody's and they would like side with
Notre Dame over them. Miami's got plenty of support too.
I just think they're looking at these two losses in
over the last three games here, and they just don't
have outside the Notre Dame victory because FSU is so
(28:18):
bad they beat them with FSU was still ranked eighteenth
twenty eight to twenty two Miami.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
Yeah, bying me had a couple of ranked wins that
are no longer ranked, so that doesn't help them.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
FSU and Clemson are killing the ACC with how bad
they've been.
Speaker 2 (28:32):
Yeah, those are supposed to be the two flag bearers
for the conference at this point and they aren't. So
the ACC right now is basically only going to get
one team into the playoff. I mean, Virginia, you know,
comes in ranked at number fourteen as the leader of
the ACC, and they're the highest ranked ACC team by
the way. To go back to the Notre Dame point,
they're just a ringer in this whole situation because basically,
regardless of who they scheduled, Notre Dame can go ten
(28:54):
and two every year and basically guarantee themselves a spot
in the playoff. I agree, which I don't know if
is necessarily fair either.
Speaker 3 (29:00):
Before last year where they actually showed up in some
big games and obviously got to the national title game
or to the the tournament final.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
In fairness to them, I mean, they made it to
a BCS title game with Brian Kelly. They've made it.
They made it to the but you remember.
Speaker 3 (29:15):
That season and how many close wins and the Stanford
win and like, yeah, we knew they were going to
get smoked in that game. I can't stand how every
year Notre Dame is so overrated. But how much do
you factor in what happened last season with them meeting
Ohio State and being competitive coming back in that game.
(29:37):
Do you think the committee, since we're dealing with humans
here in our computers, are also going back to that
and that's weighing on their minds when they're looking at them,
Between them and Miami.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
I honestly think that the committee is looking at brand bias.
And it's not that we talked about Miamiami. It's not
like Miami isn't a brand, but Notre Dame is a
bigger brand than they are. If Notre Dame has an
inch a over anybody, it's the fact that they are
who they are. They're a national brand. They have their
own national TV contract with NBC and Peacock. They have
(30:09):
not even nationally international playing games in Ireland and all that.
Like any way that any way, shape and form that
this ESPN created product of the CFP can find a
way to get Notre Dame into the tournament. That is
eyeballs for them. They will try to find a way
to get them into the tournament. And I don't necessarily
blame them. If I were on the committee and I
was at the four letter and I was trying to
get eyeballs and trying to get the best matchups, you
(30:30):
get the best teams, the best viewership, I would do
it too. But again that's where the subjectivity part comes
into it.
Speaker 3 (30:35):
So you said, entering this segment, where do I start?
You started with Notre Dame. What's your second biggest issue
with these rankings?
Speaker 2 (30:43):
I mean, it's not necessarily just the rankings in general.
I think I think it's just the outlook of how
this playoff is set up. And if it were me
and I know the SEC, I believe it was the
president Mark Keenham of Mississippi State came out earlier today.
He spoke with Paul Finbaum on Friday. I believe because
there's been this kind of contest pushing pull between the
Big ten and the SEC, who are the power brokers
(31:05):
right now for the CFP and the new evolution of whatever.
It's going to end up looking.
Speaker 3 (31:09):
Like it's the Big ten SEC Invitational. That's what people
are saying. This playoff is basically.
Speaker 2 (31:14):
I mean kind of and so the Big Ten kind
of wants to make it even more of that. Tony Potiti,
their commissioner, in his initial proposal, he wanted automatic qualifiers
for the Big Ten, the SEC, the ACC, and the
Big Twelve. He wanted four aqs for the Big ten
in the SEC, and he won two automatic qualifiers for
the Big Twelve and the ACC. The SEC doesn't want
(31:35):
to do that. They want to have five conference champions
plus eleven at larges because it benefits them because if
you look up at the final rankings at the end
of every single season, there's anywhere between eight and ten
SEC teams in the top twenty every single year. So
it doesn't benefit them to have automatic qualifiers in the playoff.
If there are a bunch of at large, there's eleven
(31:55):
at largest, there's a chance the SEC is going to
get six to seven teams into the playoffs years than not.
Speaker 3 (32:00):
So we've got four top ten teams right now.
Speaker 2 (32:02):
Yeah, yeah, four, and that's gonna happen all the time,
whether it's brand bias, whether the conference is just that good,
you know, however you want to slice it. But Eli
drink Wentz is the head coach at Missouri and he's
the one person in the SEC who disagrees with the
rest of the conference and saying that there shouldn't be aqs.
And he says this because no disrespect to Miszoo. They're
(32:23):
kind of a bottom feeder when it comes to the SEC.
They're not one of the elite. And if it comes
down to and we're talking bringing up brand bias once again,
if a ten and two Alabama, I'm just using a
you know, throwing it in the air, just a hypothetical,
there's a cut line with a ten in two Alabama
and a ten and two Missouri team. Alabama's gonna get
that cut We know that, we can all acknowledge that,
regardless of our both teams look on the field, regardless
(32:45):
of any other factor, it's because they're Alabama. And Eli
Drinkos is like, well, look, if we have a play
in game where they're ten and two, we're ten and two,
and there's a berth in the playoff, but the last
two teams of the sec in the rankings have to
meet each other in a play in game. Put us
in that situation. Let us at least earn our spot
on the field. But we're basically leaving up to the
(33:06):
subjectivity of a committee who we know favor Georgia, Alabama, USC, Michigan,
Ohio State. We don't even get a chance to prove
ourselves on the field.
Speaker 3 (33:15):
You know what, I would say, Yes, we need to
expand the committee and give you a seat. I think
you can up what you're putting down. You're right, but
maybe you can turn the tide. You can drop the
Spock logic on them. I would like to do away
with probably all automatic qualify at least the AAC getting one.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
So you're so, so there's that two and Mark, I
know we got to go in a second. There is
a theory out there, Adam, that we shut out the
group of five group of six. If you want to
call the PAC twelve group of six and throw them
in there too, we don't even give them a seat
at the table. Just don't worry about the American don't
worry about Conference USA, your memphisis and your Boise States.
Let them do something different and play in regular bowls,
(33:57):
keep them out of it and just leave it to
the power for and slash Notre dame. There is a
there is a thought out there that you would do that.
Speaker 3 (34:03):
Boys. You stay didn't represent very well last.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
Week, to say the least, looks pretty damn bad.
Speaker 3 (34:09):
All right, Coming up next, we got some geek news
for you here on fn A.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.
Speaker 4 (34:21):
I love to power glove.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
It's so big f and a cotton.
Speaker 2 (34:28):
That's try Kevin figures. I'm also back with you on
Fox Football Saturday, broadcasting live from the Fox Sports Radio studios.
Coming up next hour, we will have the NFL six Pack.
Will also speak with Mike Sando covers the NFL for
the athletic get into the Cowboys and other major trades
and other big storylines around the NFL as well. But
right now, Adam, we have geek news. You're playing D
(34:57):
and D tonight. Wanna come case this. Let's up guys,
this world.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
Don't be challenged that I've been chining online with babes
all day.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
Just keep a power clubs off her town race. Who
I said it was Kenman. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (35:08):
Growing up in the late eighties, early nineties, you had
a few type of racing games. Oh, we got the
arcade behind us, right, we are back in the arcade.
Speaker 2 (35:19):
I love this.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
I hear a ski ball. But you have your simulation
racers like Grand Turismo made into a movie, Need.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
For Speed was Adge Racer, Guy Ridge Racer.
Speaker 3 (35:32):
Okay, Need for Speed was also made into a movie
with Aaron Paul.
Speaker 2 (35:37):
Never saw it. Heard it sucked. I don't know. I
never saw it.
Speaker 3 (35:42):
It wasn't great. I saw the last few minutes. Michael
Keaton got uh wrangled into that somehow. But then you
had your real arcade style racers like Outrun, Cruising USA,
Super Off Roads, Spy Hunter, road Blasters, micro Machines, the
video game where you're like racing on a kitchen table,
don't get stuck in the jelly.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
What was the game where you're riding in it like
a drop top and you have like a hot blonde
with you, and you're driving in the street and you
have to hit these checkpoints so you can keep on driving.
I forget the name of it. Out Run, Outrun that Outrun.
Speaker 3 (36:12):
Yeah, you only see the back of the blond hair
and she's next to the guy.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
And yeah, it's.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
It was one of the better games that was poorted
over to the Sega Genesis I.
Speaker 2 (36:25):
Think, right right, because that was definitely an Arkae game. First.
I wasted a lot of quarters on that game. I
remember now.
Speaker 3 (36:29):
Of course you had your cart racers like Mario Kart, Crash,
Team Racing, Diddy Kong Racing, and then for the waterworks
you had Wave Race, Jet Moto and if you were
into motorcycles, Super hang On and of course road Rash.
Speaker 2 (36:43):
I mean road Rash is the king, right.
Speaker 3 (36:45):
I think?
Speaker 2 (36:45):
So all these games, though, steal a baton to start
beating the crap out of somebody. I mean, how do
you beat that?
Speaker 3 (36:51):
You take the baton from the cop and then use
it against.
Speaker 2 (36:56):
You get a chain too? You can't get a chain.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
It's right, These games, though, were We're all missing something.
There was a hole in the market. Even though you
had some violence in Road Rash, and yes, Mario Kart
had the balloon battles that you could do, but the
main objective was still winning the race. What if it
was just blowing your enemies to bits. What if it
was like Mortal Kombat but with cars, Well that would
(37:21):
be the itch twisted, metal.
Speaker 2 (37:23):
Scratched for us. I was gonna say that was Twisted Metal. Yeah.
It wasn't even really a race, was it. You just
just drove around and just tried to destroy people, that's all.
Speaker 3 (37:31):
It was just shooting rockets and missiles and napalm. And
last Wednesday, November fifth, the original Twisted Metal for PlayStation
with the original gray controller, not even like the dual Shock.
This is nineteen ninety five. It turned thirty and there.
Speaker 2 (37:48):
Yeah, it just tells me how old I am.
Speaker 3 (37:50):
I know these things always do, these video game anniversaries.
There's been ten Twisted Metal games now and a TV
show on Peacock, so you know, I haven't watched it yet,
but actually I heard it's good. It got a season
two that just dropped this past summer. People are telling me,
like they know I love Twisted Metal, you gotta check
out the show. So I got some facts here for
Twisted Metal.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
Because I was gonna ask you who your favorite Twisted
Metal character was. Outlaw the cop I like the games.
Who wrote the pink Lowrider. I forget his name, but
that was part of guy yeah.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
With the hydraulics, Yeah, the Lowrider. The idea for the
game actually came about when The developers were stuck on
the four h five in the early nineties and they joked,
wouldn't it be cool if you could just blow through
all this traffic with missiles like.
Speaker 2 (38:37):
That is the most amazing thing ever. I love it.
Speaker 3 (38:40):
Their pitch to Sony was it's like Doom but in cars.
The original name for it was Battle Cars, which is
real really on the nose, but the pitch did work.
It got greenlit, and they actually played a lot of
Doom and Mario Kart in battle mode to harness their idea.
Now Sweet Tooth the main character the clown driving the
(39:01):
ice ice cream truck like the mascot of the franchise.
Basically that's from not It Not, That's Stephen King movie
It which they got a new show from Maximum Overdrive,
a different Stephen King movie where a semi truck had
Green Goblin's face on it. That's where they came up
with the idea for Sweet Tooth. They got his face
(39:22):
on the vehicle truck.
Speaker 2 (39:24):
Green Goblin from The Spider Man Green Goblin.
Speaker 3 (39:26):
I think so it's an eighties Stephen King movie, old school,
but the name went from Battle Cars, which they couldn't
use to because like Super Nintendo had that to Urban Assault,
and Microsoft had a game for that to High Octane
and couldn't get that name. And then they were like,
what do we just call it cars and Rockets?
Speaker 2 (39:48):
We accurate deliver it would deliver a promise. I guess.
Speaker 3 (39:51):
They eventually landed on Twisted Metal, but people weren't into
it at first. The focus group hated it when they
show it to the Sony execs because they had to
compromise graphics because the maps were so large, so they
had to scale down the graphics to fit it onto
the PlayStation CDs. They took it to the Sony execs
in Japan and their first question was when are you
(40:14):
going to replace the little boxes with cars? Because they
just the graphics were so bad.
Speaker 2 (40:20):
Well, it's ninety five, I mean, what do you want
us to do?
Speaker 3 (40:22):
My favorite was Twisted Metal three. Most people's it's two
or Twisted Metal Black. But great series and it's still going.
You're listening to F and A on FSR.

Speaker 2 (41:10):
On Saturday with F and A Kevin Figures Adam alson
with you guys. You can hit us on the social
as kfig one is where you can find me. Find
Adam at follow Adam a our guy Eloy from Compton,
checking in as he does on an almost weekly basis there. Adam, Yeah,
what would a guy like that want to talk about? Yeah,
it's always the Kansas City Chiefs, he says, watching that
(41:30):
crap show on Thursday night. And by the way, Adam,
it was a crap show between the Broncos and Raiders.
That was a bad game. I'm gonna get into that,
he says, not to mention. The Chargers are falling apart,
losing players left and right, the Chiefs running by. They
played the Broncos next week, can't wait. Adam had the
greatest response to that, didn't you just lose the BOMs lost.
Did Buffalo just put it on you last week?
Speaker 3 (41:51):
Remind was he talking smack right now?
Speaker 2 (41:53):
It reminds me of the movie bringing on from years ago,
like the football players and making fun of the male
cheerleaders walking on. The football players are walking off the
field and the male chooters are like, dude, you just lost.
Are you giving us crap? And you sucked on the field?
Go to locker room.
Speaker 1 (42:09):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (42:09):
You know, Chiefs fans, They've had a lot to puff
their chests out about for a long time now, and
they're not stopping anytime soon. I guess even after a loss.
Speaker 2 (42:17):
Okay, well we'll see what happens. Yeah, speaking of which,
we do have the NFL six pack on deck.
Speaker 4 (42:22):
Let's go time for the NFL six pack.
Speaker 5 (42:29):
Six heat check.
Speaker 2 (42:31):
Surrounding the NFL, with our first category being the hot
seat heat check the coach or player under the most
pressure this weekend. Adam all right, he brought it up.
Speaker 3 (42:41):
I don't care that the Broncos won over the Raiders
on Thursday night. I am unmoved. I'm a statue by
their win at home over a team being coached by
Grandpa bubble Gums and Pete Carroll whoever.
Speaker 2 (42:56):
Had the meme of Joe Biden wearing the Raiders shirt
as opposed to Pete Carroll's people, that's wrong, it's hysterical,
but it's messed up.
Speaker 3 (43:07):
But the guy choose through six feet of bubble tape
gum every game, plus a bucket of Bazooka Joe and
takes all that shredded big league chew great flavor and
puts it into one side of his cheeks like a
squirrel harvesting nuts. Is this another form of how do
you do fellow kids? Like he thinks if he choose gum,
(43:28):
he'll look younger out there? Is that what Pete Carroll's
trying to pull off right now?
Speaker 2 (43:31):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (43:32):
It's been going on for a while.
Speaker 2 (43:34):
He's been doing it for thirty years now. I don't
think he's gonna stop.
Speaker 3 (43:37):
He's seventy four.
Speaker 2 (43:39):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (43:40):
There is a second year quarterback that's slightly younger, slightly
because he did stay in college for a while longer
than Chris Farley and Tommy Boy. It's Bo Nicks. And
I'm not trying to be overly critical, but bo I
guess is doing some of what they're asking, Like Bo
knows checkdowns. Bo knows dump offs and screen passes. Bow
(44:02):
knows safety valves, Bow knows security blankets, BO knows first reads.
BO knows how to get out. Played by CJ. Stroud
and Davis Mills in the same game a week ago.
Speaker 2 (44:11):
I will say everything before the Davis Mills CJ. Strout
part is totally fine if that is what is being
asked to do and if it's been successful in helping
them win, which sometimes it is.
Speaker 3 (44:20):
Yeah, he had four touchdown passes against Dallas's defense, but
who doesn't. Can he do it against anyone else?
Speaker 2 (44:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (44:26):
And can he do it when they need him to
in a big game.
Speaker 2 (44:29):
I do not know. Their record is good, Yeah, but.
Speaker 3 (44:32):
They may have a limited ceiling because they need him
to improve and make some big throws more constant, constantly, consistently.
Otherwise he's Mark Sanchez with the Jets. You have already
made team to win now, but a QB that is
limiting your potential to win it. All that Jets defense
was championship level, sure was.
Speaker 1 (44:54):
Now.
Speaker 2 (44:54):
I don't know if he's as turnover prone as Mark
Sanchez was, but he didn't have a couple of really
bad turnovers on Thursday night. I'll say that for sure.
Speaker 3 (45:01):
They're second in rushing yards per game this season. Oh yeah,
the Denver Broncos. They have a talented number one receiver
in Courtland Sutton, a Super Bowl winning head coach. Everything
is set up to win now, but bo Nicks may
hold them back. And if it looks like he's Sean
King with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or Tim Tebow with
(45:23):
the Broncos, a stopgap guy till they find a more
capable gunslinger.
Speaker 2 (45:28):
Tim Tebow won a playoff game, Adam, he did. Yeah,
and to the late de Marius Thomas wan a touchdown
against Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (45:34):
Yeah, give me a shy, I'll get it in for
you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (45:37):
But you can't just have a guy who's contributing here
to the group project. You need him leading at times,
presenting to the class.
Speaker 2 (45:46):
Well.
Speaker 3 (45:46):
If he shows that he's the weak link in big
games down the stretch, the reason maybe they don't win
the division or losing the playoffs, he'll be putting attention
pretty quickly because everything else is in place there. But
if he's a place holder quarterback, bow Knicks and they
top out it losing in the playoffs in the first game,
(46:09):
it's gonna be pretty glaring if he's losing to Mahomes
or Allen or Lamar Jackson or Justin Herbert in a
playoff game that he's not your quarterback that you can
win with at the highest level. Like he's had some
good fourth quarters, they pulled out some games so far
this season, but he's also put them in some really
tough spots with an offense that can't move the ball
(46:29):
and a defense that has to carry them. He had
trouble against the Jets, he had trouble against the Raiders.
Speaker 2 (46:35):
Maybe he's Dill for or.
Speaker 3 (46:37):
Brad Johnson and you can still win with him, but
I'm not seeing that in a league that favors offense
and makes it much harder to defend now that you
can rely on a defense to the extent that those
two quarterbacks have just mentioned did back then, bow Nicks
has to improve, Kevin, he's on the hot seat for me.
Speaker 2 (46:54):
I think he will eventually. I don't want to put
too much pressure on a guy in his sophomore campaign.
And we can ask Mike sam Know about this coming
up in the next segment too when it comes to
bow Knicks, because I did like him coming out of college, though,
I do think he was a little bit limited, and
I thought he was. It sounds like a pejority if
to say someone is a system guy. But gret Co
seltzoldusist when he came on the show a couple of
weeks ago, it was like everybody's a system guy. There's
(47:15):
a few guys who transcend it can play in any system.
Now bow Knicks hasn't quite mastered it yet. I do
think he's talented enough to be able to do it.
To your point, they have the championship level squad this year.
I don't know if he's good enough to lead them
over the hump this season, but I'm not ready to
say that he can't become that guy at some point
in his career. It's just too soon to tell.
Speaker 3 (47:34):
So should I assume he's not on your hot seat
heat check here?
Speaker 2 (47:38):
No, he's already been twice this year, by the way,
So I gotta get the guy at least a little
bit of a recipe.
Speaker 7 (47:44):
We branded that bump, we did. No, my hot sea
heat check goes to your Baltimore ravens ad him. Oh yeah,
everyone's excited. They won two games in a row.
Speaker 2 (47:54):
It looked to be slowly creeping back into the team
that most of us thought they would be to come
into the season. I got to tell you, the seat
for this team is still simmering a little bit. No
one's getting fired, by the way, no one's getting traded.
I'm simply talking about their playoff outlook for this season. Now,
consider the Steelers balled out last week, thoroughly dominated the Colts,
ran them off the field. Maybe their defense is turning
(48:16):
a corner and every Steeler victory puts more pressure on
the Ravens to have to keep pace. Also, the way
the AFC looks right now, the AFC North is most
likely not getting a wildcard team. Granted, there's still a
lot of season to go, we're only at the halfway point.
Things can change, but based on the current outlook, it's
win the division or bust. So yes, I will also
acknowl IgE. The Ravens and Steelers haven't played yet, so
(48:38):
that's a two game swing right there. If Baltimore finds
a way to sweep the series between those two games
between those two teams, that changes the entire outlook. And look,
I know that Baltimore has the Browns, they have the Jets.
They have the Bengals coming up on their schedule, but
when you look at how they've played, especially defensively, in totality,
I don't think I can. I'm ready to say that
Baltimore fans can breathe a giant sigh of relief. The
(48:59):
Bears racked up new four hundred yards against them. Miami
moved the ball. They just shot themselves in the foot. Granted, Miami,
that's what they do. That's why they're as bad as
they are now. Derrek Henry did break out for over
one hundred yards against the Dolphins last week, so that's
a positive sign. I want to see him do it
again against Minnesota. A Minnesota defense that played better last week.
They got Andrew van Ginkle back into the lineup, one
(49:19):
of the more underrated defensive players in the entire league,
so I want to see what they do against that
Brian Flores defense, one of the best defensive coordinators in
the league. JJ McCarthy gave the Vikings a shot in
the arm offensively against Detroit as well, and they have
everything to play for in the NFC North. This is
essentially a de facto playoff game for both of these teams.
So I want to see how the Ravers respond this week,
(49:40):
coming off of back to back victories on the road
against the playoff contender. They win this game, Adham, maybe
I will start budging a little bit in your direction
when it comes to them potentially making the playoffs. But
as of right now, I still don't see it. Move
me wrong, Ravens. See if you can get a win
over Skull in the Vikings tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (49:56):
If you're moving back towards my direction, you're also moving
towards your direction here, Kevin, because you had him going
to the Super Bowl, right, Yes, I did. Now that
was before a lot of things happened were unfortunate.
Speaker 2 (50:10):
I have a right to change my pick based on
evidence of Ah.
Speaker 3 (50:13):
Wait a second, one in five, Adam, one in five?
Come on, all right, Mark? What's up next year? In
the NFL six.
Speaker 2 (50:20):
Pack trap game, tap, Kevin?
Speaker 3 (50:23):
Uh, My Panthers went into Green Bay and pulled off
the biggest upset over the Packers since the AFL NFL
merger back in nineteen seventy. They were thirteen and a
half point dogs. How do I know that? Because I
took the Packers in two on two off to cover it.
Speaker 2 (50:42):
They did not.
Speaker 3 (50:44):
It was the biggest upset in the NFL in two years,
going back to the Titans winning his fourteen point underdogs
in Miami in twenty twenty three, which tells you how
much the Dolphins have fallen. They were fourteen and a
half point favorite against the team just two years ago.
That was the first I think Mike McDaniel's season. He
(51:05):
gave them hope things change. My panthers may change my
mind about the direction of this franchise.
Speaker 2 (51:11):
All that your Panthers all of a sudden, well, if
they can make the playoffs, Oh okay.
Speaker 3 (51:15):
They were my dark horse team to make the playoffs
this season. Was that idiotic at the times? Yes, but
I considering.
Speaker 2 (51:21):
How hard you went on on their quarterback Bryce Young,
I mean, it's proved me wrong.
Speaker 3 (51:26):
It's so I can hedge basically.
Speaker 2 (51:28):
Well, I mean I would say that he's played better
this year. He is not. He's never going to live
up to the potential of a guy you traded away
three first round picks and DJ Moore or whatever the
hell they gave up for him. But he's he certainly
looks like a capable average NFL starting quarterback right now.
Speaker 3 (51:43):
Oh, average guys win a lot of Super Bowls.
Speaker 2 (51:46):
Uh yeah, right, Well, average guys can take it to
the postseason. Nothing that's about it. And you know what,
if you're Carolina at this point in time, as you mentioned,
you'll take it.
Speaker 3 (51:55):
That was not an average win in Green Bay. It
was not reminded me of this Steve Berline, who was
the least athletic quarterback in the league at the time,
the run he had at Lambeau back in ninety nine
on the Packers on a play known as the draw
in Carolina. This was long before the play known as
the drink which happened where their owner David Tepper threw
(52:16):
his drink in a fan's face. But I'm starting to
think the Panthers could fulfill my prediction of making the playoffs.
But if you're going to do that, you have to
beat the bad teams to prove you're not one of them.
And there's no team worse than Breeze New Orleans Saints.
She ain't here tonight, and the Saints haven't been here
all season.
Speaker 2 (52:36):
The Panthers' fine.
Speaker 3 (52:39):
The Panthers cannot fall into the trap of thinking they've
arrived and can just show up against a team who
has fans and maybe even players that are wearing paper
bags with how bad they look. Bri While Kellen Moore
said there were some positives last week from Tyler Schuck's
performance against the Rams, I couldn't find any in a
game where they only had the ball for fourteen minutes
(53:02):
the Panthers.
Speaker 2 (53:03):
He finished the game and didn't get hurt.
Speaker 3 (53:05):
Okay, positive, there's your positive. The Panthers, though they can
run the ball a little bit, they can run some
clock rico doubt.
Speaker 2 (53:12):
Come on, who was fined.
Speaker 3 (53:14):
Fifteen grand for excessive thrusting on a touchdown celebration which
was homage to Key and Peal sketch the two pump
Chump celebration or something. He turned it. He turned it
into a positive. First, he said he was starting to
GoFundMe to help pay the fine. Then he revealed that
all the money was going to a foster care center
(53:35):
in North Carolina. So good guy, and uh.
Speaker 2 (53:39):
I feel like NFL finds go to charity anyway, so.
Speaker 3 (53:42):
Well, this one definitely did. And to go with the
foster care center. I felt like an orphan without a
football family the last couple of years, without a real
team to root for. But I'm starting to feel like
a kid again with these Panthers, Kevin. But if they
fall into the trap of losing to the Saints on Sunday,
they're gonna have a problem child on their hands. They
(54:05):
don't want that. I will rage if that happens. You
can already book them as my Ode Troy for the
rest of the season. All right, who's your traff game?
Speaker 2 (54:14):
Sap. We go on with the Seattle Seahawks. We'll talk
to Mike Sando. I want to ask him about this
because they got off to such a hot start to
the season and I definitely thought that they would be
good defensively. This is one of the teams that I
thought will be a surprise team for a lot of
people coming into the year because they have so many
good young players who fly around Byron Murphy and Ernest Jones,
not to mention name players like Leonard Williams and DeMarcus Lawrence.
(54:37):
The big question for them this year is going to
be their offense, and based on how last year ended.
For Sam Darnold, I think a lot of people were
skeptical about him as being the starter in Seattle this year,
but he's answered all those questions emphatically seventy percent completions,
eighth in the league in passing yards, just five interceptions,
third best quarterback rating in the entire league, and doing
all of this with basically one target in JSB Smith
(55:00):
and Jig but nine ers and forty eight receiving yards
fifty eight catches. Their second leading receiver, Cooper Cup twenty
four receptions, two hundred and ninety three yards.
Speaker 3 (55:08):
So more of a Cooper Thimble.
Speaker 2 (55:10):
Yeah, so I think now them we talked to acknowledge
him about the Cowboys trades they made at the top.
At the top of the show, I think an underrated
trade was Rashid Shahed coming over from Breeze New Orleans Saints,
a guy that can take a top off of a defense,
even if he's just a decoy and not making a
lot of plays. The fact that you have to devote
another safety defensive back some help to make sure he
(55:31):
doesn't burn you deep. That just opens things up a
lot more for someone like JSB underneath. I think his addition,
even though his numbers might not be gaudy for them,
I think you have to seriously talk about Seattle not
only being a threat in the NFC West, but possibly
being a threat to come out of the NFC completely.
That's just how good they've been playing and how much
I think Shahied raises their offensive ceiling.
Speaker 1 (55:51):
Now.
Speaker 2 (55:51):
Granted, Sam Darnold could be the second coming of Andy
Dalton great in the regular season, total dun in the playoffs,
I could see it. That certainly was the case last year.
So we'll see how that how that ends up playing
itself out now. I say all this to say they
better be on high alert this Sunday. Last week, and
we probably talked about it earlier, Adam, I told you
the Cardinals, despite losing five in a row, we're prime
to upset the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night. And that's
(56:14):
exactly what happened. Despite Arizona's record, they are not a
bad football team at worse their average, and average means
on any given Sunday you can jump up and bite somebody.
So these two teams played each other on a Thursday
night in Week four, I believe it was, and Seattle
needed a game winning driving a field goal at the
final seconds to pull out a three point win. And
that was the game that Kyler Murray played in. Didn't
(56:36):
play all that well and Look, I do believe Jacobe prissetid.
He's a backup for a reason. The more and more
he plays, the more falls are going to come out.
In Arizona, You're gonna find out why he's a backup.
He turns the ball over a lot, doesn't read the
field all that well. But as a backup in short spurts,
I think he can be effective, and he has been
so far. And I think the Seahawks are prime for
an upset loss here at home, especially with a pivotal
(56:57):
matchup against the Rams coming up next weekend. So they
are on high upset alert in a trap game against
Arizona this weekend.
Speaker 3 (57:03):
Well, you were right about the Cardinals last week against Dallas.
I am beleeping brilliant, So yes, they should be on
high alert, as should the Panthers against the Saints. We
got more NFL six pack coming up later in this hour.
But up next Mike Sando, who cares what we have
to say. We got a real expert from the athletic

deadline and a bunch of other important news around the NFL.
(58:23):
Let's get to it, Adam Alan Dragan did thank you
Donny well.
Speaker 3 (58:29):
With the season now past the midway point, like the
midway sports football game, we now enter the super high
impact football portion of the year, where with the sand
taking up more space at the bottom of the hour glass.
We need the expert Mike sand Do to help us
understand all the NFL storylines we should be paying attention
to during the most critical time of the year. It's
(58:50):
Mike Sando from the Athletic back on FNA on Fox
Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (58:54):
Mike, how you been good?
Speaker 5 (58:56):
How are you?
Speaker 2 (58:58):
We're good? Thanks for doing this.
Speaker 3 (59:00):
Appreciated especially during this week with the trade deadline. Are
there any underlining, common denominated reasons for why there was
more action during this trade deadline than any other mic.
Speaker 5 (59:12):
I think it's just been the trend.
Speaker 8 (59:14):
You know, there was twenty two deals made in season
this year. I think there's been you know, fifty eight
or something in the last three years. I think that's it.
And it's later, you know, they keep moving this thing back.
It's now a week nine. It used to be week
six to go back years. So I think there's a
combination of just teams late in the year, you know
(59:34):
where you're at. I think teams now that it's the
trades have happened more. I think it just feeds itself.
People feel more comfortable making them and so here we are.
Speaker 2 (59:44):
Mike, what do you say about the trades that the
Cowboys made at the deadline, getting Quinn Williams in from
the Jets, bringing in Logan Wilson, who wasn't really playing
much at all at Cincinnati. Do you think the combination
of those guys can actually make a big impact for
them defensively mid season and help propel them into the
postseason has their own I.
Speaker 5 (01:00:01):
Don't know about that.
Speaker 8 (01:00:01):
I don't know if they're going to get to the
playoffs this year, but I do think that they are
adding a very good player in Quinn Williams who's going
to help them for years to come.
Speaker 5 (01:00:09):
I think that, you know, once they decided they did.
Speaker 8 (01:00:11):
Not want to pay Micah Parsons what it was going
to take, and I understand that to some extent, they
wanted to use the money elsewhere on their roster.
Speaker 5 (01:00:21):
I do feel like, given the performance.
Speaker 8 (01:00:23):
Of the defense, that they sort of needed to throw
a bone to Matty Eberfluss here, their decoordinator, and to
give them something so, you know, you can certainly debate
whether they gave up too much. You know, they they
agreed to give the you know, to give the Jets
the better of two different picks. I think that was
wide They criticized, but I think what it tells you
(01:00:44):
was there was competition.
Speaker 5 (01:00:45):
For Quinn Williams a lot of people. I think there's.
Speaker 8 (01:00:48):
Multiple teams I believe involved driving that price up. So
I think it's easy to criticize Dallas a lot of times,
rightfully so, but I think I'm okay with adding a
player of that caliber. I think it is you know,
your defensive line and your offensive line is sort of
where it's at and they really need help. I think
(01:01:09):
he's somebody they can build around for the next few
years on that side of the ball. And so, you know,
I'm not as huge as a critic as some are.
Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
What about the moves that Jets made? Obviously Quinn Williams
sent out Sauce Gottner's sense of the Indianapolis Cults. Reportedly
there is a deal that they try to offer to
the Kansas City Chiefs for Breeze Hall, and apparently they
that was not consummated. The selloff for the Jets likely
trying to get first round picks to try to see
if they can move up for a quarterback. What did
you feel about what the Jets did at the deadline.
Speaker 8 (01:01:37):
Well, I think it can work as long as they
are committed to Aaron Glenn for the long term, I
believe that they're going to have a hard time winning,
and they were already. They'll probably have a better record
without those guys the rest of this year, just because
it'll even out a little bit. I think the Sauce
Gardner trade was great for them. I do, I think
to get what they got in return for him. I
don't know that he's a huge game changer. I think
(01:02:01):
it's hard to change the game anymore from that position.
So I love what they're able to get for him.
Quinnin Williams. They've got a nice haul for that too.
I think he's actually the type of player you normally
want to have on your team. I understand if they're
going with Aaron Glenn and he wants to build a
Detroit style defense, he may want different style or some
bigger guys. That sort of a thing. Fine, as long
(01:02:21):
as you're willing to stick it out with Aaron Glenn
and he's the right guy for the long term. And
I think that now becomes the issue for Whatdy Johnson,
who hasn't been a stable owner.
Speaker 5 (01:02:31):
You know, are they going to give Aaron.
Speaker 8 (01:02:32):
Glenn time to remake us with the draft choices because
he's going to need it.
Speaker 3 (01:02:37):
Mike, you mentioned sauce Gardner there, and maybe some slippage
in his game or just not living up to the
hype of his rookie season and the nickname and everything else.
And you mentioned in your piece for the Athletic this
isn't Jalen Ramsey going to the Rams in twenty nineteen.
It's not that significant of a move for the Colts.
I've seen Pro Football Focus have him ranked as the
(01:02:59):
top twenty five corners still, but not the elite of
the elite. Is that kind of how you feel then?
Speaker 5 (01:03:06):
Yeah? I feel like this.
Speaker 8 (01:03:08):
When you go into a game and you're playing a team,
Let's say you're playing a team that has sauce Gardener,
how much of the other teams you know, how much
is the offensive opponent of Saucegardner worried about sauce Gardener
because I can say when you play Micah Parsons or
you know you're you're definitely changing your game plan on offense.
(01:03:29):
I don't know that that happens as much with cornerbacks anymore.
When you think of the way the game has changed,
if you go back let's just say you go like.
Speaker 5 (01:03:37):
Twenty years in the NFL.
Speaker 8 (01:03:39):
The base offense in the NFL then was two running
backs and a tight end who could block some and
two wide receivers. So if we have an elite corner,
he might take away half of the legitimate threats in
the pass routes. Right, that's a big deal. So now
you play football today, the base offense is three wide
receivers and hopefully you're running backs a pretty good catcher,
(01:04:01):
and your tight end almost always is a good catcher.
Speaker 5 (01:04:03):
He's not Mark. I shouldn't say Mark Favar.
Speaker 8 (01:04:06):
He was a great catcher, but he's not two hundred
and seventy five pounds, right, Yeah, the way the tight
ends used to be. So now we've got three wide
receivers that are better catchers than probably they used to
be because it's all become a seven on seven league.
Growing up in the sport tight ends who are better catchers,
and backs who can catch. So that one corner, what's
(01:04:28):
he shutting down? That's my problem.
Speaker 2 (01:04:31):
That's a good point. Yeah, it makes sense to me.
One more as far as a major news on the
trade market, at least I believe it was major. Seattle
trading for Rashichi Heat. I mean, I know for the NBA,
a big metric, you know, it talks about usage rate,
and the usage rate of whatever that static equivalent is
for the NFL for JSN is extremely high. Their second
leading receiver has like thirty fewer receptions or something like
(01:04:52):
that in Seattle. So one, are you surprised by how
hot of a start Seattle's gotten now to to start
the season. And two, how big of a trade do
you think that the trade for Rashidza Heat is for
them and their offense.
Speaker 8 (01:05:05):
I have been surprised that the offense has been as
good as it has been. In the passing game, I
thought it could be good, but I just think that
Sam Darnold was playing at a even higher level than
last year, and so I didn't necessarily think that was
the most likely scenario.
Speaker 5 (01:05:19):
I thought he might be good. I thought he could be.
Speaker 8 (01:05:21):
Better or as good as Gino Smith. But I mean,
he's just been lights out. So I've been and I've
been a little surprised that the pass game just overall
has been that that good, especially like the first game.
It really wasn't but it's been really, really good. So
the Rashid Shaheed's addition, I think gives them a nice
piece with some speed that will come in handy. I
(01:05:44):
don't know that he's going to be, you know, getting
a lot of numbers for them. I mean, I think
there could be a decoy component to him too. I
think you'll see him on some gadgety plays or reversus.
He also can factor in the return game some So
I think it was just an opportunity to add somebody
with speed and also at receiver. You know, they've had
a few injuries Cooper Cups.
Speaker 5 (01:06:05):
Hurt, you know. I think Bobo that one of the
other receivers has heard.
Speaker 8 (01:06:10):
So I think they just were feeling a little nervous
about the overall numbers, wanted a speed, more of a speed.
Speaker 5 (01:06:15):
Component, and they got it. But I don't know that's
a huge game changer.
Speaker 3 (01:06:20):
Mike Sando from The Athletic is our guest here on
FNA on FSR. What about the defending champs loading up
a little bit? They were the busiest, I guess you
could say, and Phillips is a nice piece to add.
How much better did they get with the Eagles.
Speaker 8 (01:06:36):
I think that's quietly a really nice move. You know,
the reason it didn't cost as much is because Joe
and Phillips isn't in their contract for years to come.
But so what, That's what the Eagles do. They bring
in a player and they're thinking about right now, don't
worry about it later if they want to resign them,
or they'll maybe get a comp pick if he finishes strong,
and you know, it gets a big deal. I think
it's a great change for Jalen Phillips. We saw how
(01:06:58):
happy he was with it. And here's one of the
main reasons why I wrote about this in my pc
O today is he's going from a team that's rarely
leading in the game to a team that leads a lot.
And when you lead, you can rush the passer. So
you know his sack production he has twenty six sacks,
seventeen of them or when the Dolphins are leading and
(01:07:19):
the remainder or when they're not well, they're not leading
very much. So I think going into a situation where
you might be able to just turn your ears back
a little bit could help him and allow the Eagles
to maximize this. Also, Vic Fangio is their de coordinator.
Vic Fangio spent a year in Miami, so they already
have insight into Jalen Phillips as the person.
Speaker 5 (01:07:38):
I think that usually helps too.
Speaker 2 (01:07:41):
Mike Sandal of the Athletic joining us here on F
and A's takeover of Fox Sports Radio Fox Football Saturday.
Let's go back to Thursday Night. I know the question
is do we have to considering how bad that was
between the Broncos and the Raiders, but mostly about bo Nicks,
who's been mostly I would say, probably considering the expectation
from a lot of people, down more than up. Play
phenomenal against Dallas and then had a big step back
(01:08:02):
against the Raiders on Thursday Night. On you do your
quarterback tiers list before every single season, and he was
a Tier three guy just from what you've seen and
people you've talked to. I guess, what do you believe
has been the issue with consistency with bow Nix here
in your two or is it simply just a sophomore slump?
Speaker 8 (01:08:18):
Some of it could be sophomore slump. Now people have
some tape on you. I think that's part of it.
The second year can be difficult for some of these guys.
It's not for Drake May. He's actually doing better. So
it's not a hard rule across the board, but I
think we've seen it with you know, Jaden Daniels to
some extent. When you come in and do well, you
know people are going to be a little bit more
attuned to playing you.
Speaker 5 (01:08:37):
It's part of it. I think.
Speaker 8 (01:08:38):
He also, you know, when you have a guy who's
good with his legs, you know there's a balance there.
You lose consistency when you're when you're relying on that
a lot. And so this is what's a little bit
different for Sean Payton with bow Nicks compared to having
Drew Brees. It's just the fact that Nicks plays outs
schedule at fair amount and you know, are your feet
(01:08:58):
right or your mechanics good? Think his accuracy has been inconsistent,
So you know, I don't know that they're questioning whether
he's going to be the guy, but I do think
a seven game wind streak that's totally improbable is masking
a lot of questions. It's muting a lot of questions
that would be asked being asked a lot louder otherwise.
Speaker 3 (01:09:18):
And sticking with quarterback questions here, Mike, is this the
end of Kyler Murray? And Arizona is the riding on
the wall and what type of value would he have
around the league who might be monitoring the situation.
Speaker 8 (01:09:30):
I think he'd definitely be valuable, but definitely be out
in Arizona.
Speaker 5 (01:09:33):
I would sure think.
Speaker 8 (01:09:35):
I don't know what you're going to get for Kyler Murray.
Speaker 5 (01:09:37):
You know Gino Smith got a third round pick? Would
you rather Geo Smith?
Speaker 8 (01:09:41):
This year obviously has not been good, but before this year,
I mean, I don't know. I might just as soon
have Geo Smith if I would want to have Kyler Murray.
Is anyone buying the upside of Kyler Murray? So to me, like,
would you give a first round pick for Kyler Murray?
I don't think I would, No, not, So that will
be interesting to see what they could get for him.
Speaker 2 (01:10:00):
Yeah, you know someone who I think and you correct
me if I'm wrong, Mike, you study these guys and watch.
But as far as the inconsistency and just not knowing
what you're getting on a weekend, week out basis, I
kind of feel like Trevor Lawrence is kind of be
in that same category to a certain degree. With Kyler Murray,
you just don't know what you're going to get new
coaching staff, new regime in there. Do you think if
the season continues to go the way that it's going
where he's been okay but nothing special, and it's certainly
(01:10:22):
the price tag in his contract warrants him playing better
than he's played, do you think that the least could
be short for him and he might not be there
next year?
Speaker 8 (01:10:31):
That is possible, you know, I know, I know this
as a staff. They will be frustrated by his inconsistency
of accuracy.
Speaker 5 (01:10:38):
That's been a problem for him the whole way.
Speaker 8 (01:10:40):
He's less accurate than people realize, and I think they're
starting to realize it. So then the question becomes, Okay,
what are your other options? How easy is it to
get out of a contract? Those are difficult things to
do when you've you know, what were the what was
the agreement when Liam Cohn took a job. Did they say, hey,
Trevor Orren's going to be quarterback for the next three years,
(01:11:01):
make it work and he said final sign here. You know,
those types of things all come into play in terms
of how much flexibility a staff has. So I do
think they will want better than what they're getting from him.
And I don't know that they're going to be able
to get it.
Speaker 3 (01:11:17):
Mike, I believe you wrote about this recently, but could
you lay out your hierarchy of teams in the AFC currently,
because it's pretty interesting when you have a team like
the Ravens whose record is bad but a lot of
people still feel like they're going to end up winning
the division. They're going to be in play at some
point here, Just how do you see it in the
AFC playoff picture?
Speaker 8 (01:11:38):
Well, all the percentage that will tell you the Cults
are going to be the top seed and all of that,
and that that may happen.
Speaker 5 (01:11:42):
They have a good head start.
Speaker 8 (01:11:43):
I think they're a good team, but I still pro
I mean, I definitely put Buffalo in Kansas City kind
of in their own bucket, and I think Baltimore joins them.
If Lamar Jackson's healthy and they have a reasonable amount
of health on their team. We still need to see
their defense over the second half of the year, and
for Baltimore, we need to see that. But I think
they've been super efficient when Lamar Jackson has played. I
(01:12:06):
think that will be the case, and I still put
those teams, you know, one of those teams would probably
be my favorite to reach the Super Bowl. I do
think that Indy has shown us something and I think
they can sense it.
Speaker 5 (01:12:17):
Too, that Hey, those three teams at the.
Speaker 8 (01:12:19):
Top are more vulnerable than they've been, and so why
not make a push. You know we're good, why not
make a trade, see if we can get over the top.
And this may be the best chance to do that
for one of those teams. It probably is Indy right now.
I don't think the health of the Chargers is good enough.
I don't think the quarterback.
Speaker 5 (01:12:35):
Play of bo Nix is good enough.
Speaker 8 (01:12:38):
Maybe they can win a playoff game, but I don't
really see them making a long run without him playing better.
So that's kind of where I'm at, you know, going
into the second half of the year.
Speaker 2 (01:12:47):
Well that's what we're talking the AFC. How do you
feel about Baltimore getting back to back, Victor's Lamar Jackson's
back healthy, getting some of their defensive guys back. I
know they're three to five, Pittsburgh's not necessarily running away
with the division, though they had a good win against
Indy last week. I think Baltimore still has a pulse
when it comes to the AFC, playoff race.
Speaker 8 (01:13:04):
I do one in five to three and five. They
play Minnesota this week. You know, should have a decent
chance to win that game. So if they get to
four and five, five and five, yeah, I think they
do have a chance.
Speaker 2 (01:13:15):
Mike.
Speaker 3 (01:13:15):
Lastly, for me, just the Commanders and Daniels and that injury,
how much does that set them back in him back
on kind of the life cycle of a franchise when
you see something like that.
Speaker 8 (01:13:28):
Well, actually, it may make it easier for them to
do what I think they need to do, which is
reset the roster a little bit. You know, they have
loaded up on a lot of veteran players because number one,
they wanted to change the culture there, so they brought
in guys that were established and they thought could help
them change aways from sort of the Daniel Slander era.
And I get that, but they're super old, and so
I think that, you know, was maybe more appealing to
(01:13:50):
them when Jadeen Daniels was healthy. But now you're going
to probably have some losses down the stretch, not have
a good record. Does that then make you say, hey, look,
let's you know, let's get some youth into this roster.
And they've traded away draft picks. There's a little bit
of a issue there, so we'll see how they proceed,
but I would think that's what they need to do.
(01:14:10):
Get some young, you know, talent to go with Jaden
Daniels as opposed to patching with old guys, and then.
Speaker 2 (01:14:17):
We'll let's you run on this one, Mike, talk about
Green Bay, because yes, they're five to one, one of
the better records in the NFC, but I think a
lot of people, especially after the Parsons trade, felt they
would take that next step, and it seems as if
even with their record, there's a lot of meat left
on the bone. There. Just your outlook on Green Bay
and or do you still think that they're one of
the favorites in the NFC, despite the fact that they've
had some uneven performances so far this season.
Speaker 8 (01:14:40):
Yeah, I think they have a chance, but I don't
I don't see the consistency yet. And I think losing
Tucker Craft's a big deal. I think he was one
of the you know, the people that gave them some
toughness and obviously great production.
Speaker 5 (01:14:50):
So I'm concerned.
Speaker 8 (01:14:53):
You know, they still have a good record, they can
still win in the playoffs, but I just haven't seen
the can assistancy.
Speaker 5 (01:15:00):
They're always one of the youngest rosters, and it just
feels to me.
Speaker 8 (01:15:03):
Like they're a little bit up and down even within
a game they they are, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:15:09):
I haven't kind of wonder like what is their bread
and butter, Like what are they great at?
Speaker 8 (01:15:14):
And I think Tucker Kraft was one thing they were
great at.
Speaker 5 (01:15:17):
Uh, and so I'm not sure what it is.
Speaker 3 (01:15:18):
Now they're going to have to be great against the
Eagles on Monday nine. Now I'm concerned if Mike Sando's
concerned about the Packers, who I have winning the Super
Bowls and now I'm concerned he's the expert.
Speaker 8 (01:15:29):
Hey, they'll probably beat the Eagles by two touchdowns.
Speaker 2 (01:15:32):
This is the NFL.
Speaker 3 (01:15:33):
We know how that goes Mike Sandel from the Athletic
follow him at Sando NFL on X. Mike, thank you
for the inside, the intel and the analysis here on
the National Football League on FNA on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 5 (01:15:46):
Thank you appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (01:15:47):
There goes Mike Sando, close personal friend. Okay, we're not
that close, but we're getting there. What is the second
time he's come on with us? Now it's all right,
we're building it.
Speaker 2 (01:15:56):
Yeah, third date, fourth date. All of a sudden we
introduce them to the parent.
Speaker 3 (01:16:00):
It's all good, first base whatever, Hey, it's all good.
Coming up next, speaking of back to our NFL six pack,
where it's all good for some of these games that
don't look as good on paper, but when you put
the beer goggles on, Kevin, they look much better. That's next.
Speaker 2 (01:16:18):
FNA on f.
Speaker 1 (01:16:20):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.
Speaker 2 (01:16:26):
Now regular stop FNA Cotton, Welcome back to the Fox
Sports Radio studios. Kevin figures Adam austin Fox Football Saturday
for the best pre game show every weekend. Be sure
to tune into Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff, presented
by bet MGM every Saturday and Sunday morning. We will
count you down to all of the biggest games for
(01:16:47):
three hours right up until kickoff, for all of the
best plays and up to the second injury news to
an end to Countdown to Kickoff presented by bet MGM
every Saturday and Sunday morning, right here on Fox Sports
Radio and the I Heart App.
Speaker 3 (01:17:00):
All right, Mark, what's next here in our NFL six pack?
Speaker 5 (01:17:02):
Beer goggles?
Speaker 9 (01:17:03):
Kay?
Speaker 2 (01:17:04):
All right? Kevin?
Speaker 3 (01:17:05):
Sure, Josh Allen has a record of fourteen and two
against the Dolphins, and the Bills are favored by nine
points in Miami. Sure, okay, but uh yes, the Dolphins
lost twenty eight to six to the Ravens. When I
put my beer goggles on, it's like I'm staring at
the game through a fish bowl and the Fins don't
look as bad to me.
Speaker 2 (01:17:25):
Okay, So how much beer are you drinking? How many
IPAs did you have to throw down to actually view this?
Speaker 3 (01:17:31):
We're talking Sierra Nevada torpedoes and bigfoots. Yeah, that's what
we're doing beer. But uh, I'm just I'm saying if
you've played Josh Allen sixteen times, then you should know him, well,
you should know him and Hailey Steinfeld at this point,
(01:17:52):
like and she was in a little Cohen Brother's remake
movie called True Grit. So why can't the Dolphins show
some There are a couple weeks removed from a dominating
performance against the Atlanta Falcons where Tua only had one
eye working just like Jeff Bridges in True Grit and
they won thirty four to ten. Well, guess what, that
(01:18:12):
same Falcons team beat the Bills, who the Dolphins are playing,
and in the Dolphins first game against the Bills this season,
Buffalo only lost by ten. Now they're at home, why
can't they lose by just three or four instead and
make this a fun competitive contest where Mike McDaniel gets
some mumble something incoherent during his sideline interview with a
hoodie on like a true Bill Belichick disciple, although you'd
(01:18:35):
only be twice the age of Jordan Hudson and not
four times the age like Bill Belichick is. But Mike
McDaniel did give a clear explanation for why the Bills
have won seven straight games against the Dolphins, saying, quote,
they've beaten us because they've scored more points and done
the right football things longer than we have in those games.
Speaker 2 (01:18:58):
Have some hard hitting analysis right there. I know.
Speaker 3 (01:19:00):
Can't beat that a John Madden disciple as well. Hey
come on, and for of those seven wins came by
seven points or less one score games, So my beer
goggles are on tight. I could see this Dolphins Bills
game being a little bit tight in this AFC East battle.
Speaker 2 (01:19:18):
What do you got here, Kevin? I'm gonna go with
the Jaguars and the Texans. I know you're saying there's
no redeeming quality between these two teams and watching them play,
and on the surface, you're right. And if you're asking
me which team do I trust the most out of
these two? Neither. But but you know, the Texas defense
is excellent and Trevor Lawrence basically the tall white version
of Kyler Murray. We brought that up last segment with
(01:19:41):
Mike Sando. But you don't know what you're gonna get
on a week two week basis. But when Jacksonville has
played well and score points this year, mostly on the
back of Travis etn, I think they may be able
to run the ball a little bit against this Houston defense.
For Houston, you mentioned Davis Mills. I know it doesn't
strike fear in anyone, but he's big, he's got an
excellent arm. They have all their weapons back, Christian Kirky
and Nico Collins.
Speaker 3 (01:20:01):
Hey you big whitey.
Speaker 2 (01:20:02):
I mean yeah, basically, so, Jacksonville's defense has been hit
and miss this season, but when they have performed well,
they forced turnovers, something that Davis Mills has struggled with
when he has been able to play in the NFL
in his short career. At this point in time. So
I also think this is actually a pretty big game
in the AFC playoff race. So I don't think other
(01:20:23):
teams are going to end up making the playoffs. But
as of right now, I think the AFC South is
only going to get one representative, to be honest with you,
But if you just look at the two records and
where the standings are in some way, shape or form,
you can say this is a big game for both
teams as far as the AFC playoff race goes.
Speaker 3 (01:20:36):
Yeah, I guess they have to believe they still have
a chance to somehow catch the Colts, which is not
going to happen.
Speaker 2 (01:20:44):
No, They're not catching the Colts. Their only hope is
to potentially find a way to make it into a
wildcard spot.
Speaker 3 (01:20:48):
It's a lost season probably for the Texans. The Jaguars
felt like they were better than they really were early
on when they got that Monday Night football win as
Trevor Lawrence stumbled into the end zone against Kansas City.
Speaker 2 (01:21:00):
The record is still there, the records decent.
Speaker 3 (01:21:02):
I think they're a little fugazy, maybe because of what
happened overseas against the Rams where they got destroyed.
Speaker 2 (01:21:08):
You're upset because you're you that messed up your pick.
That's why you're upset over.
Speaker 3 (01:21:11):
So what I can be upset? Everyone should be upset.
If you're a Jacksonville Jaguar fan. More F and A
on FSR coming up next.
Speaker 1 (01:21:23):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.
Speaker 2 (01:21:31):
It's right final hour of F and A on FSR,
Fox Football Saturday. Kevin figures at k fig one where
you can find me on X. You can find Adam
at Follow Adam a on X Adam Ashley.
Speaker 3 (01:21:41):
You know, man, We will have you guys prepped because
college football is coming up in just hours. I don't
know what week it is because I can't do the
math when you have a week zero.
Speaker 2 (01:21:51):
Yeah, but doesn't help help the calls at all. It's math.
Speaker 3 (01:21:55):
We will go through the biggest games coming up today,
but first we gotta finish shop for NFL six pack.
We still have three more categories, mark, what's next?
Speaker 9 (01:22:04):
Oh my god?
Speaker 3 (01:22:20):
Oh I'm so sorry. All right, so it's our oh
Troy epic fail potential game. I'm going with the Falcons here.
It's not even so much Kevin that they're going to
Indianapolis to face the Colts, who are coming off a
rare loss where they had five turnovers against the Steelers,
(01:22:42):
when Daniel Jones only had four on the year. He
has five in that game. I do expect Indiana Jones
to whip the ball around the field and lead them
to a blowout victory over the Valleys.
Speaker 2 (01:22:53):
Yes, I will say, going to Indianapolis by a way
of Berlin, Germany. This is one of your early morning kickoffs.
Speaker 3 (01:22:58):
Yeah, that's also an epic failed by the league because
this game.
Speaker 2 (01:23:02):
Not a fan of a Schnitzel.
Speaker 3 (01:23:05):
The Colts are too good to be on this early
in America right now. Daniel Jones deserves to be seen
by everyone with the season that he's having here. But
the Falcons, you know, they lost three in a row.
Speaker 2 (01:23:20):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (01:23:21):
Now they have to deal with Sauce Gardner, who the
Colts picked up gave away two first round picks.
Speaker 2 (01:23:27):
Which is big as Drake London, even in the midst
of their struggles has been phenomenal.
Speaker 3 (01:23:30):
But I told everyone back in week one I would
be monitoring the kicking situation with Atlanta after they kicked
young way Ku to the curb for Parker Romo one
week in Well, Unfortunately, the stench of young Hosts failures,
(01:23:51):
Young Wake has lingered and Parker Romo kicked about as
well as Parker Posey has aged. So like the actress,
the Falcons have more work to be done. So they
are having another facelift, you could say, on their special
teams by dumping Parker Romo after he missed a game
tying extra point against the Patriots last week, a team
(01:24:13):
that also cut him in training camp. And now the
Falcons have gotten zany with it. They're bringing in Zane Gonzales.
Zan last kicked for the Commanders last season. He did
go nineteen for nineteen on extra points for them. My prediction,
Zane Gonzalez will miss an extra point this Sunday and
(01:24:34):
a few kicks for the Falcons before the season is over,
and they will rue the day they let Young Ho
Young Way cou Go, who might be kicking this weekend
now for the Giants, right Graham, Yeah, Graham Gano is
out and Young Wayku is kicking. So the Falcons are
(01:24:57):
going through kickers like Pete Carroll goes through the pack
of gum. They're chewing them up and spitting them out,
and this is not going to end well for them.
Speaker 2 (01:25:05):
I mean They always say kickers are like relievers, right.
It can be a phenomenal pro bowler one year, then
the next year you completely fall off the map. So
this happens a lot with kickers. But the unfortunate part
is it's such an important part of the game, and
I know they get blasted and made fun of by
a lot of players. It's very it's a thankless position.
Everybody loves you when you make kicks, and everybody criticizes you,
(01:25:25):
and you know when you don't. You know, So one job, Yeah,
that's the the one job. That's a job I would
not want if I were if I were an athlete,
I would not sign up to be an NFL kicker.
To be honest with you, high pressure were I am
so glad you played that drop because I'm thinking of
the Chargers at home against the Steelers and that SoundBite.
You know that so as far as my old Troy
(01:25:46):
epic fail and so that sound bite that you used,
Adam a Charger fan who was upset. This is when
the Chargers were good with Philip Rivers and that whole team,
and they lost to a terrible Raider team, which I mean,
take your pick over the last thirty years, or find
a terrible Raider team. Oh yeah, we could just as
(01:26:08):
easily use that guy who was upset about the Charges
losing game to the Raiders as we do when we
use the Minnesota Vikings guy breaking his cane over the
misfield goal the playoffs. It is purely anecdotal on my part.
I don't have the numbers you might. I think we'd
be hard pressed to find a team that is more
that has been a snake bit by injuries more than
the Charges over the past two decades or something like that.
(01:26:31):
To be honest with you, if.
Speaker 3 (01:26:32):
We don't need to research that, we all know it
to be true.
Speaker 2 (01:26:35):
Yeah, I mean so, And the hits keep coming. Now
Joe Alt finally gets back into the lineup a couple
of weeks ago. Now all of a sudden, he's out
for the entire season with that same injured ankle that
he now needs to have surgery on. And for any
of those fans who want to downplay the importance of
a stud offensive tackle, yeah, ask Patrick Mahomes a few
years ago against Sampa Bay in the Super Bowl, or
asked him last year in the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia.
Speaker 3 (01:26:57):
You gotta go back that far.
Speaker 2 (01:26:58):
How important that is for the best player on the planet,
arguably to be running for his life and be a
shell of himself. That's just how important it is. If
you look at LA this season with and without Joe
Alt in the lineup four and oh this year when
all plays the entire game two to three when he doesn't,
justin Herbert's QBR eighty when he plays, it goes all
(01:27:19):
the way down to fifty six when Joe Alt is
not in the game. That is how significant of a
loss it is not having Joe Alt up front. Now,
all of a sudden, you welcome in a Steelers team
that swiped all of George Kittle's smelling salts last week
and finally woke up against the Colts. They sacked Daniel
Jones five times, they forced six turnovers, and he finally
started looking like the defense we were all expecting to
(01:27:41):
see this season. Now, I will say, offensively, they still
look like a hot mess two hundred and twenty five
yards of offense, which obviously is not going to be
a recipe for long term success. But I do think
considering the charters, offensive line issues and renewed confidence by
that Steeler defense, the Steelers have more than a fighters
chance here on Sunday night in LA. Not to mention
(01:28:02):
that I know this game is in Los Angeles, but
there are Steeler fans from coast to coast.
Speaker 3 (01:28:08):
Oh the terrible towels travel.
Speaker 2 (01:28:10):
Yes, I went to a game at SOFI. I think
I told you this last weekend. I went to the
game at SOFI a couple of years ago where the
Chargers were hosting of the Steelers and looked like heins Field.
You would have thought I was at Three River Stadium
back in the day or something like that. If you
didn't know any better, you would have thought they were
selling the terrible towels at the stands concession stands in
so Far.
Speaker 3 (01:28:28):
It was so bad, all right, So Pittsburgh's gonna have
home field advantage in LA over the Chargers in their
defense maybe back yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:28:38):
Banged up Charger offensive line, resurgeon Steeler defense, and basically
a home field advantage in Los Angeles for the Pittsburgh
Steelers all lines up for a potential avalanche from the
Steelers onto the Chargers on Sunday night football. I can
absolutely see that happening.
Speaker 3 (01:28:51):
I'm with you, Mark, What's next here?
Speaker 5 (01:28:54):
Under the microscope.
Speaker 3 (01:28:57):
You know, you mentioned him earlier, and I guess we're
just gonna wash up the Seattle Seahawks here because they're
under the microscope for me too, Kevin, because I don't
think people have fully accepted that they can be a
Super Bowl contender, that they could win the Super Bowl.
It's hard to take any team that wears that much
(01:29:17):
Neon Green. Seriously. Oh come on, But last week they
were wearing the Steve Largent throwbacks against the Commanders and
they handled their business. Sam Donald was sixteen of sixteen
to start that Monday night football game, finished with more
touchdowns than incompletions, four to three. The further Sam Donald
gets away from the Jets, the better he gets. It's
(01:29:40):
like that Jets shade of Green is everyone's kryptonite, and
he's becoming stronger and more powerful with every new team
he joins. That makes him one step removed or one
step further removed from being with the Jets. It didn't
end well in the playoff game last year with the Vikings.
I understand that against the Rams, but the Vikings were
still fourteen and three last season with him. Now he's
(01:30:01):
six and two with Seattle, and he now has a
career win percentage above five hundred for the first time.
Speaker 2 (01:30:06):
He's forty one and forty.
Speaker 3 (01:30:07):
Here you go, what would that be if he wasn't
drafted by the Jets and then made that stop in Carolina. Well,
he's now twenty and five. The last year and a half,
he has by far the best EPA adjusted EPA two
expected points added in the league. He has the best
rating when it comes to yards left on the field
by quarterbacks, so he rarely misses open receivers he is.
(01:30:31):
His Pro Football Focus ranking is number one. Here's something
more digestible. Sam Darnold is on pace to join Peyton Manning,
Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Patrick Mahomes as the only
quarterbacks to do the following in consecutive seasons. Win seventy
five percent of your starts and average two hundred and
fifty yards or more per game.
Speaker 2 (01:30:52):
Sounds like he's on his way to Hall of Fame
to me.
Speaker 3 (01:30:54):
Also have a one hundred quarterback rating. Come on, they eyeable,
It's crazy. The offensive line also was the only offensive
line last week to not give up a sack, So
whether you want to credit them or Sam Darnold getting
rid of the football. They've also got the best rush
defense in the league. They get pressure without blitzing. The
(01:31:17):
Seahawks are blitzing at the second lowest rate in the NFL,
while at the same time are generating the second highest
pressure rate in the league. They don't gotta blitz. They
can get there with four four. Now they have an
NFC West battle against the Cardinals, and Jacoby Brissett has
been playing well. But maybe, like how I try to
(01:31:40):
tell everyone back in week two about Kyler Murray, who
I put on the hot seat, then he's not long
for the job.
Speaker 2 (01:31:45):
He's not.
Speaker 3 (01:31:46):
But it's a weird week. The Cardinals could be tough.
It is an NFC West battle, but I just want
to highlight how good the Seahawks have been. And by
the way, with what happened with Kyler Murray was crazy.
Jonathan Gannon, the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, in
twenty four hours, went from saying Murray was still the
(01:32:09):
starter to announcing Brissett would start again. Sunday then mentioned
how he likes what the offenses doing with Brissett, indicated
Brissette was starting just due to health issues with Kyler Murray.
Didn't completely rule out Murray from being active, and then
went on a local radio show and said Brissett would
start even if Murray was healthy.
Speaker 2 (01:32:30):
And then they put Kyler Murray on injury reserve to
try to take the take it out of his hands. So,
I mean, I don't know how many times you can
waffle in a forty eight hour period.
Speaker 3 (01:32:39):
It's wild he's done. But the Seattle Seahawks are far
from done.
Speaker 2 (01:32:45):
They look incredible, like we both like, and like I
mentioned last hour, I think they are a legit Super
Bowl contender to come out of the NFC. With the
way that they've been bawling out.
Speaker 3 (01:32:55):
I was washing what they were bawling out there a
little bit there, but they deserve it. They've been good.
Speaker 2 (01:33:01):
Now. I am going to place the Patriots and Drake
May under the microscope this weekend as they get ready
to play against Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I do not want
to take anything away from Drake may great sophomore season.
Like Mike Sandel told us a little bit earlier in
the show, in fact, Drake May playing so well Adam,
he actually has a third best odds right now to
win League MVP from Bedam GM behind Josh Allen and
(01:33:23):
Patrick Mahomes, which I do find a bit interesting. Have
you seen Matthew Stafford's numbers of comparison, by the way,
to dust to Dustin May, to Drake May, he's underrated. Yeah,
I'll give you the cliff notes explainer. So May does
have more passing yards and a completion percentage that is
seven points higher than Matthew Stafford. So that's pretty good.
Stafford has been sacked far fewer times, and by the way,
(01:33:44):
like you mentioned a minute ago, a lot of times
sacks were on the quarterback, not necessarily always the offensive line.
He has more touchdown passes and fewer interceptions. Yes, I
know we're all excited about the hot, pretty young thing
in New England, but let's not forget about the smoking
hot cougar in the suburbs of LA who's on the
prow for another Super Bowl rank. Can we not forget
about Matthew Stafford? Please give me some sugar. By and
by the way, the majority of us took the under
(01:34:06):
on how many starts Stafford would even make this year.
The back issue in training camp. Would he even be
ready for opening Day? How many games would he actually play?
Jimmy g is gonna be in there and start more
games than Matthew staff There's been none of that talk
this year.
Speaker 3 (01:34:18):
Speaking of pretty things.
Speaker 2 (01:34:21):
Yeah, now, so I digress. And by the way, I'll
also say too, I can acknowledge that Matthew Stafford is
throwing to a future Hall of Famer in DeVante Adams,
and depending on where his career art goes, Puka Nakua
could be on his way. They're at at some point too,
is on track, Drake Mays throwing a Kashawn bhute, and
Stefan Diggs, who's on the back nine at least when
it comes to his playing career off the field, is
(01:34:42):
very prolific. Anyway, with all that said, I'm placing that
on the hot seat, or I should say, under the microscope.
This Patriots offense in Tampa Bay on the road, one
of the best defensive units, one of the best defensive
minds in the entire NFL, and Todd Bowles. I want
to see how many performs in this situation. And he
doesn't even have to win the game, ad and I'm
not putting that much pressure on him. I just want
(01:35:03):
to see how he performs road, tough environment, really good team.
By the way, Boute is not going to be playing,
so that's going to be a tough blow. He's not
going to have his top receiver. But this is the NFL.
This happens every now and then, so I don't necessarily
expect the Patrons to go on to Tampa Bay and win.
But now you know, if you're going to be one
of the upper echelon quarterbacks in the NFL, if you
(01:35:24):
are going to be the third favorite that the third
line as far as favorite for the MVP, let's see
what you can do.
Speaker 3 (01:35:31):
Apparently in the MVP of he.
Speaker 2 (01:35:33):
Did according to the numbers that I saw a little
bit earlier on Friday. So let's see if he can
actually measure up to that. Drake may to see if
you can play well with your your best receiver being
out on the road against one of the best defenses
of the NFL. I'm up placing them under the microscope.
Speaker 3 (01:35:47):
That's a good game. That's a good call. Mark our
final NFL six pack category redemption round. The Detroit Lions
looked more like my housecats to shadow last week, all
hiss but scared as they just really want to kiss.
Come here, Tuka, Come here. Let me give you a kissy.
(01:36:09):
Let me give you a kissy. I love those cats. Hey,
they don't sound like that. Well, the Lions can kiss
their perfect home record goodbye. After losing twenty seven to
twenty four at Ford Field to JJ McCarthy and the Vikings,
where they let a red shirt rookie who hadn't played
in almost two months throw for two touchdowns and run
for another on them, I'd be concerned that their three
(01:36:31):
losses are to Green Bay, Kansas City, and Minnesota. You
can make the argument they haven't beaten some very good teams.
They've they've beaten up on the bad teams. But lucky
for them, they do have another one coming up on
their schedule. And while that could lead to them redeeming
themselves that they go to DC to face a team
who's head coach should be de qued after dan Quinn,
(01:36:55):
whose hair on his head must correlate with his IQ,
because for some reason he had their franchise quarterback and
jayde and Daniels out there late in a game he
had no business continuing continuing to play in.
Speaker 2 (01:37:07):
Should I give dan Quinn credit for calling himself out
the day after and saying yeah, you know what, I
probably shouldn't have done that, or shouldn't I feel like
most most coaches don't do that.
Speaker 3 (01:37:16):
He should have done it that night. You'll wait a
day so I can't give him any credit. Maybe he
thought since a team came back on him down twenty
eight to three, that he could also pull off the improbable.
Speaker 2 (01:37:29):
Ye Now he may need.
Speaker 3 (01:37:32):
To do that this week because the Lions are going
to be angry and he has Marcus Mariota under center,
who throws like he has his arm dislocated from his brain.
Like Marcus Mariota. I love the guy, great, great Oregon
Duck Heisman winner, but UH not going to get it
done for them. The Lions will redeem themselves with a
(01:37:54):
big victory over the Commanders. That's my redemption round. Who
who do you got, Kevin Well?
Speaker 2 (01:37:59):
I will say, by the where. The Lions do have
a tough schedule coming up down the stretch, so they
will have more than enough opportunities to prove themselves. You
got the Eagles coming up, the Packers. If you want
to put the Cowboys in there. You can ram Steelers
like this again, so they will have a chance to
prove their wares. I am going to the redemption round
and I'm going to take the Packers at home against
the Eagles Monday night. We've talked about all season long
(01:38:22):
with green Baby brought up with Mike Sando, Who are
the real Green Bay Packers? I think Mike some of
the up Well, they don't really have an identity. Are
they physical? Do they want to run the ball with
Josh Jacobs and pound you to death? Doesn't seem like it.
Do they want to air the ball out every week
and have him and have Jordan Love throw for three
hundred and fifty yards and four touchdowns like he did
a couple of weeks ago. Doesn't like that? Like that's
(01:38:43):
the case either. Now they do have a five to two,
one to one record, so it's not as if they've
bottomed out or are a total disappointment or anything. But
people like yourself, Adam, and pitch them to go to
the super Bowl. Even before the parts has traded, a
lot of people thought that this team was poised to
take the next step forward, And one thing I guess
I really didn't consider was just how young this roster
actually is if you don't count the kicker Brandon McManus,
(01:39:04):
which you usually don't know, disrespected kickers, but they're off
on the corner doing the wrong thing half the time.
Josh Jacobs and Elston Jenkins, two of their best players
on offense, are also the most experienced and season players,
and they've been in the league for six seven years six'. Seven,
anyway that doesn't mean, everything but it does mean at
least a little bit something where you don't have that
much experience on your. Roster the silver lining they still
(01:39:26):
figuring things out while winning, games AND i think they
have a great chance to win this Coming monday night
despite not Having Tucker craft in the. Mix because let's
not act like The eagles have been world beaters themselves
this year. Now if, anything these two teams are actually
pretty similar good, records finding ways to win, games but
have been wildly inconsistent all season. Long Saquon barkley did
(01:39:47):
get off fo one hundred and fifty rushing yards a
couple of weeks ago before their bye when they beat The,
giants but The packers do have one of the better
run defenses in the entire. League so, yes The eagles
are coming off of a, bye but The packers are
coming off of ana rasing loss To Adams. Panthers no
disrespect to The Carolina. Panthers they're a solid.
Speaker 3 (01:40:04):
Team, oh none.
Speaker 2 (01:40:04):
Taken but you can't lose a game like that at.
Speaker 3 (01:40:07):
Home i'd be embarrassed. Too come, On SO.
Speaker 2 (01:40:10):
I expect The packers to come out with a big
effort On Monday night, football even Without Tucker, craft AND
i think they get back on track and have a
great opportunity to be able to beat The. Eagles all, right.
Speaker 3 (01:40:19):
There you have, it THE nfl six pack For week.
TEN i believe of THE nfl. Season if you're stop
mistaken coming, up whatever week it is in college football,
again they have a week. Zero you can't figure these things,
out binary numbers and. Stuff what's going? On we will
preview the game's coming up mere hours from. Now you're

Speaker 2 (01:41:39):
Tilt i'm. Pissed ps, man you had.
Speaker 3 (01:41:45):
Enough i'm mad as.
Speaker 2 (01:41:46):
Hell i'm gonna take it.
Speaker 3 (01:41:47):
Anymore right, now let's talk about the games that are
coming up in just mere hours from. Now where do
you want to start.
Speaker 1 (01:41:54):
Here Kevin College football forecast?
Speaker 2 (01:41:57):
With and, well there's a really big one in The big,
twelve you, know THE byu And Texas tech number seven
versus number. Eight and interestingly here was interesting to note,
here As Vince scully would say back in the, day
you Realize Texas tech now that it's interesting this line has.
Moved so they opened as ten point. Favorites it got
(01:42:18):
as high as eleven and a half On. Thursday as
of right this, Second i'm looking at. It it's at
ten and a half too much.
Speaker 5 (01:42:25):
Marijuana there you?
Speaker 2 (01:42:27):
Go is that the lines like? That it certainly seems
like it. NOW i talked about a couple of inflated
lines last week and it came back and burned. Me
so and those lines didn't end up holding. Up So
Texas tech has a ten and a half point. Favorite,
look they're at, home great home field advantage for a
team that is pretty. Complete they're really good running the,
ball Which Texas tech notoriously Under Mike leach was not
(01:42:48):
able to. Do they're phenomenal, defensively which notoriously Under Mike
leach they were not able to. Do great defensive, line
solid offensive, line really good offensive. Unit against THE byu
team that's still unbeaten, Over Texas tech has a. Loss
they're five and one in The big TWELVE byu eight
to no, overall in five to zero in the. Conference
they have this rookie or freshman QUARTERBACK i should Say
(01:43:09):
Bear bachmeyer that makes play after play after play every single.
Week best name in, sports Bear, Bachmeyer, yeah Bear. Bachmeyer
and they have their running BACK. L. J, martin who's
been out the last couple of games or last week
with they with an injury is going to be back
one of the best running backs in the entire. COUNTRY
i remember watching the game a couple of weeks, ago
and they played Against Iowa state in ames L. J
(01:43:29):
martin got hurt and Bear, bachmeyer a true, freshman basically
had to put the team on his back and throw
them to a. Victory and they Ran Iowa state off
of the field in that second. Half so it's not
as if he doesn't have the. ABILITY i think what
people are probably hedging against that at a certain point
Here adam is that he is a true. Freshman it's
going to show up at some. Point maybe it's a
tough road game here Against Texas tech or a game
(01:43:51):
Against cincinnati in a couple of. Weeks i'll be honest with.
YOU i don't see. It, OH i really. DON'T i
THINK byu is on a mission this. Year they got
up to a nine to zero start last year and
lost two with their last three and missed out in
the playoff berth in The Big twelve championship. GAME i
think they actually seal the deal here and get a
big victory Against Texas tech and love.
Speaker 3 (01:44:07):
It, Yeah but if they're all on a, mission this
game is not going to be played for a couple more. Years,
well they got to, return.
Speaker 2 (01:44:12):
And other guys are all. Back they're Going they're all
thirty seven at this. Point that's what it.
Speaker 3 (01:44:16):
Is this is interesting to me because they're right next
to each other in The College football rankings number SEVEN,
byu number Eight Texas.
Speaker 2 (01:44:23):
Tech and don't think the committee didn't know this when
they when they set the, rankings they knew that these
two teams were playing each other that this.
Speaker 3 (01:44:29):
Week they know what they're, doing and conceivably they can
play each other again in The Big Twelve championship. Game
so unless one team beats the other team, twice they
could conceivably both get in to.
Speaker 2 (01:44:46):
The College football.
Speaker 3 (01:44:46):
Playoff that would be pretty unexpected from The Big.
Speaker 2 (01:44:50):
Twelve, YEAH i would say. So, yeah the way it
stacks up right, NOW i mean with THE byu And
Texas tech being where they, are there is a there's
a great opportunity for The big twelve to potentially get
both of these teams.
Speaker 6 (01:45:00):
In.
Speaker 3 (01:45:00):
Now Like kevin, Say Texas tech beats them this weekend
and THEN byu beats them in The big Twelve championship,
game they're both getting.
Speaker 2 (01:45:07):
IN i think that's how the way things are shaken
out right. Now, yeah that that they would have. To
they would absolutely have to at this. Point so, well
you know WHERE i will not blink On. Cincinnati by the,
Way cincinnati is a team that coul could play both
of these teams and they can end up biting each of.
Them they're still alive in The Big twelve race.
Speaker 3 (01:45:24):
Too utah lost to both of them and they're still.
Speaker 2 (01:45:26):
Thirteenth so that's AND i think that's another big factor,
too that people have faith Like utah could be in
one of those situations where they don't even make it
into The Big twelve championship game and depending on how
the season, ends they can potentially find their way.
Speaker 3 (01:45:39):
In, yeah like they could cut down the middle. Between
this is. CRAZY i did not expect this from The Big. Twelve,
HONESTLY i didn't expect the committee to value The Big
twelve as much as they. Do forget the EIGHT. Acc
they like The Big.
Speaker 2 (01:45:52):
Twelve, yeah they like The Big twelve much more than
like THE, acc which surprises me a little. Bit BUT
i do LIKE i THINK byu And Texas tech a
cut up everybody else in THE. Acc they're in a
tier of their own At, cincinnati kind of bringing up
the rear when it comes to that. Too i'll tell
you who's a cut above.
Speaker 3 (01:46:07):
Everyone, okay maybe not, everyone But indiana is going To
Penn state and they're gonna bring that machine with them
and put a whooping on. Them they're like the Wood
chipper In fargo and teams Are Steve bishemi, like they
just grind you. Down they do it on both ends
of the. Ball Kurt signetti's a. Monster they're so. COMPLETE
(01:46:30):
i think they don't have a major. Injury they're gonna
win the whole.
Speaker 2 (01:46:33):
Thing they don't Stop, adam that's the. Thing they don't
take the foot off their. Gas this is Like Steve
spurry or in the, nineties like For. Florida, well they
just it is their intent to go out and drop
seventy on you if and whenever they.
Speaker 3 (01:46:43):
Can With danny war for.
Speaker 2 (01:46:45):
Yeah and by the, way another thing gets the, committee
like talking about the top three in Wild House state
was ahead Of, indiana and they came up with Some kakammi,
like oh, well other offensive line is better Than. Indiana
indiana's blowing people off the. Ball they're running people off
of the. Field we know. What Ohio state has not
been good, Either BUT i, mean come, on like If
indiana had the same stats and the same production but
(01:47:09):
they Had michigan on the side of their helmet OR
usc they're number one Over Ohio. State i'm thoroughly convinced to. That,
YEAH i think it's brand bias all over. Again he
said a lot in this, Show BUT i think that's
what it.
Speaker 3 (01:47:19):
Is they're defending Champs Ohio. State they're giving them the,
nod probably just because of, That BUT i, AGREE i
Think indiana looks. Better they look better than anyone and.
Everyone that win on the road Against oregon's the best
victory anyone's got this.
Speaker 2 (01:47:34):
SEASON i. Think Now i'm glad you brought Up oregon
because this is interesting to. Me so they go on the,
Road they're taking On. Iowa oregon checks in at number
nine In iowa's twentieth in the FIRST cfp. Rankings i'll
be honest with, You. Adam you look At. Oregon what's
their best win over time on the road against a
below Average Penn state. Team, no they really. Haven't they
(01:47:56):
haven't beaten Anybody November.
Speaker 3 (01:47:58):
November they're gonna start getting some good. Wins they better
better start this.
Speaker 2 (01:48:02):
Weekend they better because this weekend Against iowa on the, road,
which by the, Way indiana's hardest game was At. Iowa
they won by. Five it was a seven point. Spread
they allowed a safety at the, end so it narrowed
the score a little, bit but that was by far
the closest matchup they Had. Iowa, granted they're not lighting
the world on. Fire they're not the greatest show on
turf or, anything but their offense actually has a pulse
(01:48:24):
so that they have not had for the last eight
years or whatever it's.
Speaker 3 (01:48:26):
Been they can't throw the ball, still though no.
Speaker 2 (01:48:29):
Exactly we know that they can run the, ball That
oregon's one of the best teams that's stopping the. Run
but just knowing the situation on the, road the stakes
in this, GAME i think it's a huge swing game
for both, teams to be honest with, you because all
of a, sudden If iowa finds a way to Beat
oregon and then they beat usc next, week they're a
team that can potentially find themselves into the college football
(01:48:50):
playoffs without having to play in The Big ten championship.
Game depending on how these things play.
Speaker 3 (01:48:54):
Out If Iowa michigan or usc any of those teams
won out in The Big. Ten somehow they would get.
Speaker 2 (01:49:02):
IN i think they're getting. In, yeah, absolutely you.
Speaker 3 (01:49:04):
Think, okay but what about this? Weekend like my, ducks
come on, now.
Speaker 2 (01:49:10):
They're gonna cover then have To i'm GLAD i don't
have to put this ON towo onll too off and
make an official. Call this is a tough game because
it actually is a hard. ONE i Know oregon is
favored by a. TOUCHDOWN i.
Speaker 3 (01:49:20):
Believe, YEAH i got a minus six and a. HALF
i mean that's What i'm looking. AT i don't have.
Speaker 2 (01:49:26):
ANYTHING i would NEVER i will hesitantly Take oregon to.
Speaker 3 (01:49:31):
Win just BECAUSE i was offense Or. Oregon their defense is.
Speaker 2 (01:49:38):
Great, yeah the weather could be a.
Speaker 3 (01:49:39):
Factor storm from X men could be out.
Speaker 2 (01:49:42):
There, YEAH i haven't seen any inclement. Weather it's supposed
to be, cold it's supposed to be in the, forties
BUT i haven't seen like rain or snow or anything
like that.
Speaker 3 (01:49:48):
With snow or tornadoes from storm's.
Speaker 2 (01:49:51):
Hands, yeah and it's not as If oregon is not
used to playing in inclement, Weather So i'm not necessarily
that concerned about. That, Yeah so that is one of
those games to kind of keep an eye on a
little bit. Too another ONE i keep an eye on
two in THE acc is Wake forest on the road Against.
Virginia we talked About virginia and not getting a lot
of respect considering whether they're ranked at number, fourteen the
(01:50:12):
highest ranked team in THE. ACC a big REASON a
big reason for that is because they have really struggled.
RECENTLY i, mean they have been winning games by the
skin of their, teeth barely Be Washington, state barely Be
North carolina cal the. Same they don't have the greatest.
Resume their best winn is against A Florida state team
that is no longer ranked at this point in.
Speaker 3 (01:50:31):
Time they need some style, points.
Speaker 2 (01:50:32):
They, do And Wake forest has been really scrappy this. Year.
Now they got their asses handed to them By Florida
state last. Week but at five and, Three Jake, dickert
the former head coach Of Washington, state has that team
playing extremely. Well it would not surprise me in the
least bit of Wake forest found a way to Beat virginia.
Tonight let me ask you a question, Here kevin pop
quiz hot, shot.
Speaker 3 (01:50:52):
BECAUSE i see one other game that might be the
most underwhelming matchup between these two teams in a long.
TIME lsu At bama In. Tuscaloosa bama's favored by. Ten
this has gotta be the least type game between them
in a, while just because everything going on WITH.
Speaker 2 (01:51:10):
Lsu, yeah interim head coach AT. LSU i, mean their
offense is you, know just, setting you, know the four pass.
Back god knows how many. Years their defense is actually pretty.
Solid this year they just can't score enough. Points so
honestly that the spread is ten and a, HALF i
would not be mad if it was higher than, that
to be honest with. You, YEAH i Think alabama steam
rolls him in this, game which is. Unfortunate this is
(01:51:31):
usually one of the marquee games only calendar every single solitary,
year and this year there's just not a lot of
juice to.
Speaker 3 (01:51:37):
It this is not the game of the. Century, no
it is.
Speaker 2 (01:51:39):
Not it's. NOT i won't say. Another it has less
interest now Because Bo pabula From missouri is now. Injured
But TEXAS a AND, m which checks in at number
three taking On, missouri who is ranked twenty second in the.
Country missouri does still have a really good defense and
can run the ball pretty damn, Well But TEXAS a
AND m one of the more complete teams in the entire.
COUNTRY i would HAVE i still Give missouri a bit
(01:52:00):
of a puncher's chance at, home knowing the way that
they can play, defense and knowing the way that they
have the ability to run the. Ball but they're down
to their third stream. Quarterback That's it's a tall ask
to beat a team a stacked As TEXAS a AND.
M BUT i do think it will be an entertaining. Game,
look the line is six and a half in favor
of The. Aggies it would not surprise you If missouri
keeps this game, close and MAYBE a AND m ends
(01:52:21):
up getting a backdoor cover and late in the fourth
Quarter missouri ten fourteen or something like.
Speaker 3 (01:52:26):
That missouri kept it close Against. Alabama, Absolutely missouri is
a quality.
Speaker 2 (01:52:30):
Team LIKE i think if was in this, game the
line will be, short will be, smaller AND i Think
missouri would have a legitimate chance to actually win this.
Speaker 3 (01:52:38):
Game maybe this Means i'm a college football, Casual but
does it feel like at all to you That TEXAS
a AND m is the most Underrated top five? Team
like just, Overlooked LIKE i don't know what it is
they don't have much. Buzz they don't have the allure
that's some of these other, teams Even indiana because Of
Kurt signetti and his. Personality you talk about, THEM i
(01:53:01):
don't think they're talking About TEXAS a and M.
Speaker 2 (01:53:03):
Nf Marcel ree doesn't get talked enough when it comes
To heisman. Talk, now he doesn't have the gaudiest, numbers
so that's probably a big reason for. It but the
head of The, snake the starting quarterback for a undefeated
team in THE, Sec i'm with you on thousand. Percent
they are the most under the, radar top three, team
undefeated team this late in the season THAT i can never,
remember to be honest with.
Speaker 3 (01:53:23):
You they're not getting nearly enough attention or a spotlight
on them for how could they? Been now they got
a chance to prove. It they still got some tough
games coming.
Speaker 2 (01:53:31):
Up, yeah, well, LOOK i mean the last game of
the season is the one for. Them it's a rivalry
game against The university Of, texas, who by the, WAY
i mean quiet has. Kept you, know we talk about
Arch manning and the criticism he got coming into the
season and how he didn't really look that great throughout the,
year he has steadily, improved and all of a, Sudden
texas find themselves in a situation where if they can win,
out they're most definitely going to be in The College Football.
(01:53:54):
Playoff because their defense is that good and they've done
enough offensively to keep themselves.
Speaker 3 (01:53:58):
Afloat it's easy for thinking they could actually take one
more loss and still get in if it's the right
type of. Loss let me put it this, way.
Speaker 2 (01:54:09):
They'll buck the trend to get a three loss team
into The College Football.
Speaker 3 (01:54:11):
Playoff what if they lose close To, georgia Beat, arkansas.
Speaker 2 (01:54:17):
Which they, should and then Beat.
Speaker 3 (01:54:19):
TEXAS a AND m that final game of the. SEASON
i think that could be the.
Speaker 2 (01:54:23):
Formula it would depend on how everything else in the
bracket or would shake out as far as the rankings,
go but it absolutely gives them a. Chance they're, eleven, yeah,
yeah so they absolutely have a chance to be able
to make. It it just depends on how everything else
falls in front of. Them but, YEAH i think this
might be the first year that we have the opportunity
or the chance of getting a three loss team to
actually make it into the. Playoff In texas could be that.
Speaker 3 (01:54:45):
SQUAD i mean they lost To Ohio, state who The
committee has number.
Speaker 2 (01:54:49):
One that was a low scoring, game a close game.
Speaker 3 (01:54:53):
To start off the. Season AND i was listening To
Joel klatt about, this and he's. Right they want to
reward team to schedule bravely because they want more of
these good matchups to happen and it's good for college.
Football so you don't want to penalize a team Like
texas losing this game To Ohio state too.
Speaker 2 (01:55:09):
Much, No and that's something that The committee said that
they were going to stake their head on coming into this.
Season they are not going to penalized teams for losing
to good. Teams they're going to give you credit for
losing to a good, team and they're not going to
give you credit for beating up on the little sisters
of the.
Speaker 3 (01:55:23):
Poor so can we get another good loss To georgia
and then Beat arkansas and Beat TEXAS a AND m.
Speaker 2 (01:55:29):
Go for the jugular Beat.
Speaker 3 (01:55:30):
Georgia your ut, whoa, whoa, whoa. WHOA i Know Irish
manning's playing.
Speaker 2 (01:55:36):
Better but before we check, out here too a revenge
game For. Navy they came in unbeaten last year late
in the season Against Notre dame And Notre dame waxed
them pretty. Bad navy is still an outside, chance probably
even better than an outside chance now to get The
group of five, bid considering the fact That memphis lost
To tulane On friday, night so they come in at
seven to one against tenth Reck Notre. DAME i don't
think they'll Beat Notre. Dame to be honest with, You
(01:55:57):
Notre dame is a twenty eight point. Favorite they'll probably
run them off the field for a second straight. Year
But navy's definitely gonna have at least motivation on their
side to see if they can make a game of.
It all.
Speaker 3 (01:56:06):
RIGHT i Mentioned Joel klatt. Earlier he's like ten games
under five hundred with his. Picks neither of us are that.
Bad we'll let you. Know we'll update you in two

Off all, RIGHT i got the. Update, Okay Joel klatt
is twenty one.
Speaker 6 (01:57:17):
And.
Speaker 3 (01:57:17):
Forty i'm. KIDDING i don't know Why i'm taking. Shots
why Is joel catching strays from me every?
Speaker 2 (01:57:23):
Week because he ignores your calls and debt. Messages that's
one accurate.
Speaker 3 (01:57:29):
Or it makes me feel better for being five hundred
with my. PICKS i, Mean Scott Van pelt's under five.
HUNDRED i mean all these, guys come, on it's Not
it's not my fault That i'm eighteen and eighteen And
kevin is twenty one and. Fifteen brot, Ownership i'm three
behind the. Record looks it's, Deceiving, Okay i'm only three
(01:57:50):
behind it you take three away from you give them to,
me which might have to happen at some point in
some weird rule change to two, on two off for
me to have a.
Speaker 2 (01:57:59):
Chance we're trying to can fit the rules, now so
to favor yourself out what it is that's turning, into.
Speaker 3 (01:58:03):
Here's how we play the, game, Kids two picks on,
favorites two picks off of, favorites and on. Underdogs we
are required to pick two favorites and two underdogs every
week in THE nfl. Season, kevin you want to give
me an, On.
Speaker 2 (01:58:20):
Yes i'm going with Your Carolina panthers five and a
half point favorites over The New Orleans. Saints they've been
playing so. Well have surprised the hell out of me
with how well The panthers have performed this. Season The
saints not so. Much to be honest with, You i'm
kind of WHAT i expected from them this. Year but
The panthers five and a half point, FAVORITES i can
easily see them cover and that spread winning this thing
by a touchdown at least Against New.
Speaker 3 (01:58:41):
ORLEANS i don't know if this is good news or bad,
news Because i'm going here too and also picking My,
panthers WHICH i rarely ever. Do, oh this is bad
because it compounds the aggravation if not only do they
lose the, game but they don't cover for me in
two on two. Off BUT i just saw the line
and now it's at.
Speaker 2 (01:59:00):
Five oh look at.
Speaker 3 (01:59:01):
That so we're getting an even better play, Here. Kevin
just win by six or More bank Of America, stadium
where they've been really good at home over a miserably
Bad New Orleans saints. Team this shouldn't be so, hard all,
right what's your other on, Here?
Speaker 2 (01:59:16):
Kevin i'm going with The lions eight point favorites Over,
washington smarting after that loss last week To. Minnesota washington
is it's a shell of. Themselves their defense is, old
slow and not very, good and The lions have one
of the better offenses in the ENTIRE. Nfl they're going
to go up and down the field like. NOTHING i
mean eight, points this thing could be eighteen, points AND
(01:59:36):
i think The lions will cover.
Speaker 3 (01:59:37):
It to be honest with, you they do need to bounce.
Back they lost at home To. MINNESOTA. YEP i was
going between this or My colts minus six at home
against The Atlanta. Falcons That's. Germans you're, right they're not at, home.
Yep So i'm going with the with The Detroit lions as.
(01:59:59):
WELL i keep thinking, That, yeah The colts are at,
home they are gonna bounce, back but things could get whacky.
Overseas so we're Some. Pataco we're both going with the same,
teams with our ons, here with our. Favorites oh but
what about your first off? Here what about first?
Speaker 2 (02:00:17):
Off we're going to have a little bit of a,
different a different change. Here i'm going with The colts
as six and a half point favorites over The. Falcons
as an, OFF i think The falcons cover the spread
here out there In. Germany they don't have To Forest,
buckner but placed on injury reserve their best run stopper Bjar,
robinson one of the better running backs in the. League
atlanta gets back to with bread and, butter runs the
ball a little. Bit maybe they don't, win but they
(02:00:38):
absolutely cover that six and a half point, spread and
we have a close and Tight niptok game towards the
end out there In. Germany all, right the odds you
talked me into.
Speaker 3 (02:00:48):
This next, One pittsburgh plus two and a half IN
la they're home away from home against THE La chargers
ON i Think Sunday night, football, Right.
Speaker 2 (02:00:59):
Yes that Is Sunday. Night i've been waiting all week
Full Sunday.
Speaker 3 (02:01:02):
NIGHT i always mute that song and people probably just
muted me right. NOW i also got The eagles plus
one and a half in The monday night contest for
my other off In Green bay against The. Packers what's
your final off, Here?
Speaker 2 (02:01:14):
Kevin my final lof forty nine is five point dogs
at home against The. Rams always close. Games they beat
The rams at so far earlier this season when they
had a mass unit out. There maybe they don't, win
but this game is definitely gonna be decided by three
points or.
Speaker 3 (02:01:26):
Less what is the deal With Kyle shanahan Owning sean.
McVay no one Makes sean McVay bleed his own.
Speaker 2 (02:01:33):
Blood McVeigh owns it when it matters. Most in THE
Nfc championship game a couple of years. Ago that's what matters.
Speaker 3 (02:01:37):
Most this is. Fair He's Kevin. Figures I'm Adam. Moleson
thanks To, Mark thanks To Brandon Breebrey Nil Project Ail
