Speaker 1 (00:01):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio in week ten.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
When you looked at this slate coming into the week carry,
I thought, Wow, We've got we got two, maybe three
highly competitive games with some of the top teams in
the NFL, the entire NFC West doing battle. Plus you
have a Lions Washington showdown. Maybe Washington's not on point
right now, but Detroit definitely fighting for a lot, yes,

(00:28):
and we don't have it in this late wind. We've
got three games right now that are all double digit leads.
You heard Monty say it. The Seahawks the biggest of all.
We'll talk about the Cardinals. Tumultuous week, the Rams and Niners,
which I thought would have been a lot closer considering
what we saw in their first meeting this year on

(00:48):
Thursday night football in Los Angeles in overtime affair. And
then you have the Lions kind of doing Lions things.
But there's still even a little turmoil in Detroit as
Dan Campbell is reportedly taking over the play calling. So
a lot to get to. But they're up double digits again,
fourteen to three on the Commanders. But this late window
was going to be great and right now not competitive.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Yeah, No, the Rams in forty nine to one is
a shock so far, but still early in that game.
And you know those two when they get together, they
usually battle it out. You know, Kyle Shanahan and Mickey Vay,
they know each other well. So those games are usually competitive.
So I'm thinking that one may get a little tighter
as we go. Possibly, I'm hoping, I'm wishing, and the others,

(01:31):
I mean Arizona Seattle, Arizona going through the quarterback change
right now with Brissette coming and you know, taking the
helm and trying to guide this team to get some wins,
but right now is not looking well.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
You had a strip, sack fumble for a touchdown, and
what's the other one? What's the other game?

Speaker 4 (01:45):
Dan?

Speaker 3 (01:45):
It was the other one going on right now? Lions commander,
Lions commanders. The commanders are in a bad way. And
you know, we talked about it. I think we both
talked about like pumping the brakes on the commanders even
coming into the year, and right now they're kind of making.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Us look like we know what we're talking about. Only
are you pumping the brakes on the commanders. The emergency
break is on the car is in park, They are
not going anywhere exactly. The door is open, the radio
is still playing, but the engine is off. That's where
we are with the Commanders. Tough task today, especially with
the Lions coming off the loss last week to Minnesota,

(02:19):
something that is actually a theme in Week ten. We'll
get to a little bit later on. But I expected
Detroit to kind of right their wrongs, and considering what
happened last Sunday night with the Seahawks taking it to
the Commanders and that sort of injury carry, you would
be able to speak more to it. But I mean,

(02:40):
you want to talk about taking the air out of
your sales as an organization, just to see your quarterback
in that situation, and dan Quinn later onto the week saying,
you know what, I messed up. It's on me, And
it was like it totally was especially when you have
a quarterback that has been susceptible to injury this season,
to have him in a game at that point where

(03:01):
it wasn't competitive, that would really take the sales out
of a team. So I thought it was a really
tough task for the Commanders today to go up against
this line squad.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
I'm glad that dan Quinn came back with another response
than the first one. The first one was he tried
to diagnose the play and say, you know, yeah, it
was late in the game, we're still trying to get momentum.
But on that play design, he's not supposed to run.
You got a run in quarter, but I got Jaye
Daniels is going to try to make a play. So
when he came out with that, at first, I was like, Dan,
don't do that, And so the fact that he came

(03:30):
out was cool.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
And in a way he's right, but he's wrong for
saying it, Like Jaydon Daniels should know, like, all right,
what are we doing here? And when you're in the
heat of the moment and you do what you do,
you're going to resort to doing what you know what
to do. And Jaden Daniels was going to move and
run in that play and of course ends up ends
up getting injured. But a tall task today, especially against

(03:51):
the Lions team that's looking to get back on track.
I do want to talk about the Rams and forty
nine ers a little bit, because sometimes Las Vegas tells
you things, and they were trying to tell me something
that I just did not take the signal and I
mentioned that Thursday night game that they had earlier this
year where the Niners went to La and the Rams
were making missq after MISQ to try to come back

(04:13):
and close out a forty nine or win and lo
and behold Kyle Shanahan and Mac Jones get a victory.
And I chalked it up Carrie too, this is just
Shanahan and McVay. These guys know each other like the
back of each other's hands, so familiar with each other's
work for when they teamed up in Washington and on
the various different staffs. As the Seahawks are maybe knocking

(04:35):
on the door again, Sam Donald making you play to
Cooper Cup who's active, and Cup takes it about sixty
yards down to the five yard line. We'll talk about
the Seahawks, who could be on the version of going
up thirty five. Nothing on the Cardinals, but the Rams
were a five and a half point favorite this week
on the road in San Francisco. And I know San
Francisco is missing pieces, brock Perty not starting again, but

(04:57):
I just chalked it up carry to these guys know
each other as a matter who's got what it's This
is a matching of which, and so far it feels
like the Rams have the Joe's and the forty nine
ers don't.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Yeah, when the Rams played complimentary football, that's when they're
their best. Obviously, they got a play caller that's really
predicated in the game plan, and I think when they're
the most successful surrounding that team, it's the run game.
And so the fact that they have now Williams and
they have mccorum where they can share some of that
time and actually really commit fully to the run with

(05:32):
that two back system, I mean, it just makes the
game so much easier for Matthew Stafford. And when they're
on on time and they're in rhythm the way they
are right now. I mean Stafford's nine or fourteen hundred
and twenty yards in a touchdown this game already. When
they play this way, that's the reason I took them
to come out of the NFC, right, Like, that's the
team that I see with also the defense being involved

(05:53):
there where they're really good as well. I mean, that
team when they're hunting is really really good.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Yeah, they've done they've done a masterful job in getting
all of these pieces together, whether it be the defense
last year, whether it be incorporating Davante Adams this year.
There's still other pieces. Terrence ferguson the rookie tight end
ont of Oregon is getting more and more action or
seeing him a little bit more some when they were
very high on coming into the season. The Rams at

(06:18):
six and two and the forty nine Ers at six
and three and it's a forty nine Er home game.
All of that was telling me this is going to
be that close game again, as they talked about and
everything that you laid out and what the Rams are
and what Las Vegas was saying is no, these teams
maybe aren't similar and the Rams maybe in a different category,
which I think that your NFC pick right now looks

(06:39):
pretty good, because I think you would have a very
good argument to say that the Rams are the best
team in the NFL right now. I would say that,
but I'm going to give your team some credit here too.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Now.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
The fact that the Seattle Seahawks have played the way
they had I mean, Sam Donald's been great, and I
think there's been moments of him kind of reverting to
some of its old habits, but right now, in the
last couple of weeks, they've been really Humming. They've made
some additions and I really like that Seattle team as well.
So this NFC West is going to be it's going

(07:09):
to be almost like the NFC the NFC North last year.
Like the top those top two teams are going to
really battle it out into the end, I think. And
so yeah, I mean the forty nine ers are good,
but there's some competition still in the NFC.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
There's Seattle's knocking on the doors. Zach Sharbonnay just took
a carry down to about the one yard line, so
ill of its second and goal and the Seahawks again
up twenty to nothing in that contest, Which leads us
to what was the story of the week in the NFL,
and that's the Arizona Cardinals and the switch to Jacoby Brissett. Yeah.

(07:44):
I actually thought that today's task for Arizona, off of
a short week on a Monday night on the road
against Dallas, to now go and play against the division
rival on the road extremely difficult to do. And I
didn't expect a lot from Arizona. I'm not going to
judge the decision to Jacoby Brissett up this quarterable judging

(08:05):
on what they've done the last three games, But I
think that the today may not have a bearing on
the decision at all. But it's just been a crazy
week for the Cardinals, who ended up putting Kyler Murray
on injured reserve. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
I mean when you go through change like this where
you know you're you're suspected, expected franchise quarterback is out
for time, and you're making switches and doing all of
that in a season where you're three and five and
we've talked about it before, they could easily be seven
and one, six and two, right, all that stuff, all
the weight of all of those things happening for you
early in the season kind of carries over and then

(08:38):
you get to a boiling point right now where you know,
now you're putting the ball into Kobe Brissett's hand. And
we talked about it during the week as well. He's
a great relief pitcher. He's not your starting quarterback, right like,
And so you see when you get into a situation
like this where now the game plan is, we're not
worried about any of the other stuff that Kyler Murray
can do. We always talk about stuff he can do.

(09:00):
Have to focus everything on all, right, They like the
one of things on time. Now they go to this person,
they go to this person on this play, like, now
we have a game plan for that, and then you
get to see a good Seattle defense and yeah, twenty
eight nothing happens.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
Then yeah, and the Seattle defense is scored twice. And
it's been DeMarcus Lawrence both times picking up fumbles and
going to another one. Yeah, two, yes too two on
the day. He's the Jackson Smith and Jigba of defense
for the Seahawks getting into the end zone twice. You also,
because of the trade deadline this week, you had the

(09:32):
Seahawks getting a bit of a boost with Rashid chi
Heat coming in. Sometimes that can provide a spark. It
was the topic of conversation, I know in the early
game and in Germany today with sauce Gardner being a
member of the Colts and them taking on the Falcons.
A lot of sauce Gardner focus in that game. But
the Seahawks haven't even needed to do anything special with
Rashid Shahet who has a catch, who has an early carry. Yeah,

(09:53):
but there there again, it was just a really really
tough spot with Arizona coming in, even though Seattle eight
on the East Coast on Sunday night. They're still home
all week. They had an extra day where the Cardinals
played on Monday, and I just find it difficult. So
I'm not going to make any judgments on Jacoby Brissett
in this contest here, but I'm curious to see what

(10:15):
happens in four weeks and how they handle Kyler Murray.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
Yes, and you've hit enough on that in my in
my mind, and I think when I watched this game,
I take the other side of it. Right when all
those things happen in the Arizona. Of course, we can
look at this game and really put the focus on
what they're going to do in the first game you
no minus Kyler Murray being the guy. But I'm looking
at Seattle because easily the things that you just said

(10:40):
there are the major topics. But how Seattle going to
come out and play? Now, You plan a team that's wounded,
you plan a team that you should be in this spot,
and they come out and put up twenty eight early
in this game to kind of enforce, yeah, force force
their will on this on a bad team in this situation.
And I'm more impressed with them and Mike McDonald and
what that what that staff has done?

Speaker 2 (11:00):
And the Rams have just gotten into the end zone
on the second and goal play David Sallen a touchdown
reception from Matthew Stafford. So it's twenty to nothing, forty
nine ers early in the second quarter. And what just
happened in Seattle there it is Seattle just got in
the end zone as well. Yep, yep, Zach Sharboney with
a touchdown run, extra point coming up. Thirty four nothing,

(11:21):
eight thirty three left to go until halftime. So for
Charbonay his sixth rushing touchdown of the season, drop a
little gym for you right now, Dan? You ready? You
ready for it? Yes? All right? Thirty four? Being down
thirty four the second quarter does not feel good.

Speaker 5 (11:35):
What do you say it?

Speaker 2 (11:36):
The half? You here, Jonathan Gannon. And by the way,
there's eight thirty three left in the second quarter, and
this is thirty four nothing. The Seahawks, by the way,
did this to the Saints earlier this season in a
similar game. Extra points good in both places. So it's
twenty one nothing, Rams, thirty five nothing, Seahawks.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
You don't say win one for the gipper. I'll tell
you that you just say, hey man, we're going to
see who really cares about this thing. Tighten up your
shoe straps, Tighten up you your chance straps, because that
second half is going to be so physical, because Seattle's
gonna run the ball down your.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Throw at this point and try to try to get
through this game. I'm not saying that the forty nine
Ers Rams game is over. Doesn't look good for the
forty nine ers. I'm ready to say the Seahawks Cardinals
game is over.

Speaker 6 (12:17):
There.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
I don't think there's going to be any thirty three
point quarters coming for Arizona. I know, I know, I
don't say it. I just I feel, I feel I
feel pretty safe in saying it. It leads me up
to this point, and we'll take it the time out.
As the Lions are driving by the way up fourteen
to three on the Commanders, they're in the red zone

(12:38):
in Washington. The Seahawks and Rams play each other next week,
and so you wonder, and there was a theme in
the NFL this look ahead, this letdown, the things that
we've gotten, things that we got in week ten compared
to what we got in week nine, vastly different stories. Seattle,

(12:58):
let's say Seattle was playing the same this game, and
I know the Carolina Panthers don't want to hear this.
Maybe there would be reason for them to not look ahead,
but I think the division opponent of Arizona, yeah, has
their focus. And obviously anytime the Rams and forty nine
ers play, that's going to be a focused matchup. But
it didn't allow Seattle or the Rams to look ahead

(13:18):
to their matchup next week. Those teams haven't played yet
this season. So kudos to the Seahawks and Rams for
staying on track. And what next week could be an
amazing game in Seattle, be a big time game. I'm
so excited to watch that one.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
Actually, I mean, we just talked about the Rams and
how efficient they can be when they're right, but Seattle's
going to make them, in my opinion, not be on
schedule the whole game. And so let's see who's gonna
be able to make the plays to big plays down
the stretch second that game.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Game next week. It's so far in La, not in Seattle.
Return trip later on in to Seattle later on this season.
All right, So here's where we stand. Thirty five nothing
Seahawks on top of the Cardinals right now, eight thirty
left to go until halftime. Told you the Rams up
twenty one nothing on the Niners with the Lions knocking
on the door against the Commanders fourteen to three, nine
point fifty one to go intil halftime in that contest,

I don't know if you know this, but Dan Campbell
has a play sheet. Yeah, and reading glasses. I believe
he's calling plays now instead of that's the time this

Bears and Commanders.

Speaker 6 (16:07):
Motion to the right on second and eight from the
seventeen Caleb believes under center drags another Titan smipe and motion.

Speaker 5 (16:13):
Here's the snap of the play.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
Fake Williams rolling to his left running now fifteen ten.

Speaker 6 (16:17):
Five head zone typtoze in touchdown in the blue pag.
Caleb Williams seventeen yards took care of business himself.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
He has had himself.

Speaker 6 (16:30):
Quite the day running all over in between away from
backing up, moving left, moving right, and finally getting into
the ends over the touchdown had a Bear's lead twenty
three twenty.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
Back to Dan Bayer and carry Rhodes.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
For the second straight week. The Bears are the comeback kids,
this time on the Bears Radio network. By the way,
that's Giants at the Bears. He's carried Rhoades. I am
Dan Byer. It is end Zone Radio. Bears. Get that
four point win today over the New York Giants and
comeback fashion. Before we focus on that, I do want
to tell you the Rams are up on the Niners

(17:06):
twenty one nothing midway through the second Cardinals third and goal,
but the Seahawks up thirty five nothing five minutes to
go until halftime. Lions lead the Commanders twenty two to
three midway through the second quarter in DC. Let's focus
on Bears Giants.

Speaker 4 (17:20):
No, it's time for the NFL on Bucks focus.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
Pam Oliver at a front row seats and at chilly
after noon in Chicago. I want to get to the
weather in just this sec. But let's talk about the
hot quarterback and that is Caleb Williams doing it more
maybe with his legs, Pam, would you say than with
his arms to ultimately give them the win today against
the Giants.

Speaker 9 (17:45):
I would agree with that. Talking to him post game,
you know my question was wasn't a precise operation at all?
But you know, doing what he has to do. And
you know, I think the thing with Caleb is that
he gets a certain determination. People you know, criticize him
or you know, try to say negative things about his accuracy.

(18:07):
So I think with him, he's like, whatever I have
to do, I'm going to win this football game. His
teammate Kevin Bayered, he told me that something just comes
over him in these critical game situations. He says, he
turns into a different kind of beast. And I think
what we saw today was he was not leaving that
field as receivers had some drops, various things going on

(18:29):
with the offensive defense. Wasn't you guys have packed up myself?
Because I'm just put it that way. Sure, I was
packing up myself looking around going okay, and and then
you just got a feeling just with something that they were,
you know, their mindset and determination. Just spending time with
them during the way, you find that Ben Johnson effected

(18:52):
and it's definitely a real thing.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
I was going to say that, so with Ben Johnson.
He made some comments this week about Caleb Williams progressing
and how he has progressed at this point in season.
It seems like the team is starting to get that
feel where the other guys are kind of buying into
him and rallying around Caleb Williams. Do you get that
sense being around them this past week.

Speaker 9 (19:15):
Yeah, that's a good way to put it, because that's
exactly what I would say. I think with Ben he
is such a motivator while he's also no bs. Yeah,
there's no kind of bread. This is how I am,
this is how you win. This is how you lose.
And I think a lot of Chago Bears at first
they were just, you know, camp look so hard and

(19:37):
the guy's demanding. He's a one note kind of coach.
But as they got to know him, spend time with
him and just get a sense of his real vision,
his overall vision, which is laser sharp and crystal clear,
I think, yeah, they bought in big time. And you
know he's always trying to show us as Bill, let's build,

(19:59):
Let's build and postgame that's what Caleb said. You know
that that's exactly what's happening. They're building on what Ben
Johnson is trying to establish.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Yeah, Pam Oliver joining us here. She was on the
sidelines of the Bears comeback victory over the Giants twenty
four to twenty. It was a game that Jackson Dart
had to leave with a concussion. When he left. Was
there an air out of the sales field with the Chians.

Speaker 5 (20:24):
Absolutely?

Speaker 9 (20:26):
Absolutely, and I think everybody everybody felt it. Obviously your
first concern is for his health, but you can just
sense that, just think it slip away. He's so dynamic.
That's the first time I saw him up close and personal.
And he's just so dynamic, and we saw what he's
able to do. But yeah, I think, you know, does

(20:47):
Russell Wilson inspire confidence in you like he used to
Jameis Winston? Would he be the replacement? I think Jackson
Dart is so dynamic that he has everybody leaving. So
when he was forced to leave because you know, going
into the concussion protocol, I think definitely there was a letdown.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Damn. I know you're busy.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
I know you just got off the got to get
out here and catch a flight probably, But one more
question surrounding the Bears, and right now there's six and three,
I think a lot of like I said, right in
the thick of you know, making some beautiful things happen
as the season progresses. When when you watch this team,
do you think this team has a chance to make
the playoffs?

Speaker 9 (21:31):
I absolutely do. I think they've got the right formula,
They've got the right coach, play caller, they got the
right defensive coordinator, they've got the right staff. You know,
obviously the defense can play better, but so can the
offense that they're finding ways to win. Is it going
to be you make it to the playoff with nine wins.

(21:52):
A lot of people don't think so it's going to
be at least ten. So you know, everybody has the
ways to go. But I do believe that the Bears
have the ingredient to be able to make it to
the postseason. I truly do.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
I got Pam. Do you have time for one quick
one about weather? Okay, all right, I just want to
make sure you don't want to travel. I'm an Upper
Midwest guy originally born and raised in Wisconsin, so I
know cold weather. But is it different when it's November
ninth and it's like that, especially on the lake. Can
you describe for us, like the different variances of cold

(22:26):
that you've had to deal with and where today may
it not have been the most frigid, but it's still
early November and it's freezing.

Speaker 9 (22:34):
Yeah, it's a different kind of thing. I want to
tell you that I went out before I put on
all my layers. Let me just go check it out.
Every now and then. Every you know, everybody's wrong. There's
all this hub ubs. But it was fighting from the
time you got there and the wind situation. It could
not make up its mind which way was going to go.

(22:54):
I was watching the kickers and it was like showtime
at the Apollo. I mean they were the kicks are
going some everywhere, but it's a different kind of calls
for sure, but it's part of the atmosphere and I
love it.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
I loved it, Pa, I mean the words of Ben Johnson,
just suck it up. Just suck it up.

Speaker 9 (23:18):
Nobody care.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
We do, we do, we can, Pam. We appreciate the time,
love talking to love talking to you, and I can't
wait to talk to you as we head closer to
the playoffs. Appreciate it.

Speaker 9 (23:30):
I hope we talked soon.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
Take care of it, going, Pam. Pam Oliver watching the
Bears top the Giants today twenty four to twenty. And
the reason why the question is asked is everybody thought
the same thing when Jackson Dart went out in the
game earlier this season where Brian Dable ended up getting
fined one hundred thousand dollars in that game against Philadelphia.

(23:51):
When he goes out today, to Pam's point, no one
felt any confidence. It's not meant to be a Russell
Wilson topic, but it does say a lot as well.
I don't know why you wouldn't turn to Jameis Winston
in this scenario. We heard glowing stuff about Jamis Winston
throughout the week of why you just don't make him
your number two quarterback? But they had it carry. They

(24:12):
were up seventeen to ten, dart Is out and Russell
Wilson's in and their fourth and goal. And I even said,
to the guys who's watching this, they kicked the field goal.
I got you kind of got to kick the field goal.
You're you're up ten at that point, maybe let your
defense the Bears hadn't been cooking. But once the Bears
got the football back after forcing that three point stop,

(24:35):
it's twenty to seventeen, You're just like, all right, this
is yeah, this is likely going to happen. And it did,
and you know, looking back at it, I wonder if
Brian Dable wish they would have gone for it on
fourth and goal, because ultimately they ended up losing by
four in that contest.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
Yeah, you can always look back and have those would
have cutter shut us Dan and I think they've all
obviously made the right decision. And you know you said it,
You even said it yourself, like they go up two scores.
The way the game was going at that point, you
feel pretty good about it, even though Jackson was out
of the game. Now, obviously it's always deflating when you
lose your top guy, but on good teams, when you

(25:10):
lose guys in certain situations, you can kind of find
a way to just, you know, get get to the
finish line. And the Giants just can't get.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
To the finila. They can't like every time you like,
take the play clock down the wall, then snap the football.
We just have to get there and they can't do it.
By the way, that's what makes baseball so great, right,
there's no clock. Now, they gotta get the three outs.
You gotta accomplish something. In the NFL sometimes you can
hide from those things to your point of just of
just trying to get to the end. He is carry Rhodes.

(25:39):
I'm dan Byer Seahawks and Cardinals a little bit closer
since the last update, Mancy Belanjos. We'll have an update
on that and so much more. Lands goes to the
go to the news desk. Now, Mancy, I'm not saying
it's a game in Seattle, but Arizona's at least on
the scoreboard.

Speaker 10 (25:54):
They are on the scoreboard.

Speaker 11 (25:55):
You're right, but just wrap it up, like just call
it just desover, you know what I'm saying. Like they're
in Seattle, it's fine, call it a game. Because there's
two minutes and forty seconds to go on the first
half and the Seahawks are up thirty five to seven.
It's been really all Seahawks in every aspect of the game.
DeMarcus Lawrence with two scoop and scores.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
So far in this one. It's also been all Rams.

Speaker 11 (26:16):
Against the forty nine ers in San Francisco. Twenty one
zero is the score down to the final about four
minutes in the first half. Matthew Stafford has thrown two
touchdown passes in this game, bringing his career total to
four hundred career touchdown passes.

Speaker 10 (26:31):
Way to go, Matthew Stafford. The Commanders are in the end.

Speaker 11 (26:34):
Zone Chris Rodriguez Junior with a rushing touchdown, but the
Lions are up right now twenty two to ten with
about three and a half minutes to go.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
Also Commanders defensive tackle Deron Payne.

Speaker 11 (26:44):
There's a video he swings at Lions wide receiver I'm
and Ross Saint Brown in front of an official.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
He has been Ejeki. Yes, of course he was. Also,
why are you punching somebody when they have a helmet on? Exactly?
I did that hurt your hand more than anything. I
don't blame them for wanting to leave, for sure. Yes,
it's just not the way to if you're trying to leave,
you know what, I get it, But idiot, we got
reservations later.

Speaker 10 (27:07):
He's got reservations later.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
Watch this is gonna go.

Speaker 11 (27:09):
Like into overtime, and he's gonna be in the locker
room the whole time. The Jaguars blew a nineteen point
we had going into the fourth quarter. They lost thirty
six to twenty nine to the Texans. Trying to keep
their season alive, the Jets defeated the Browns twenty seven
to twenty. Saints over the Panthers seventeen to seven. Chris
Lave had five catches, one hundred and four yards and
a touchdown. The Ravens had a twenty seven to nineteen

(27:31):
win over the Vikings. Lamar Jackson was seventeen of twenty nine,
one hundred and seventy six yards and a touchdown. The
Bears topped the Giants twenty four to twenty. Jackson Dart
left the game in the.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
Fourth quarter with the concussion. You guys were just talking
about that.

Speaker 11 (27:44):
He ended with two hundred and forty two yards in
the air. He didn't throw a touchdown pass, but he
did have two touchdowns on the ground. Patriots outscored the
Buccaneers in Tampa twenty eight to twenty three. Running Back
Traveon Henderson had fourteen catches, one hundred and forty seven
yards and two touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
England who improves to eight and two? Patriots motts?

Speaker 11 (28:03):
There you're Patriots buccaneer's fall to six and three?

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Did you also want to claim the Cardinals?

Speaker 9 (28:09):
No?

Speaker 2 (28:10):
Checks, no, no, okay, got it all right, not the
team played for gotcha? And just let the record show
join this up that he's claimed two teams.

Speaker 11 (28:17):
Yes, no, no, yeah, yeah, yes, he right is down
with a pencil, sobody get you raising a mugion price.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
He didn't text me during your uplet, good job as
he usually does.

Speaker 11 (28:29):
The Dolphins crush the Bills thirty to thirteen, So Bill's
fall to six and three. Miami improves the three and seven.
Josh Allen threw for three hundred and sixty yards two touchdowns.
He had an interception in the end zone and he
lost a fumble. The Colts came back to Defica Falcons
in Berlin thirty one to twenty five in overtime.

Speaker 10 (28:47):
Jonathan Carrey, Jonathan Carey Jonathan Taylor.

Speaker 11 (28:49):
Had thirty two carries, two hundred and forty four yards
and three touchdowns, bringing his total to sixty six rushing touchdowns,
which is the most.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
In franchise history.

Speaker 10 (28:58):
Can I give you baseball news?

Speaker 2 (29:00):
Yes? Absolutely, Oh it's so good.

Speaker 11 (29:03):
Yes, so Emmanuel class and oh my goodness, my notes
are almost stuff. Fleet Artis are being charged on multiple
charges when it comes to helping situations with their pitching
go one way or another. If they are found guilty,
they face up to sixty five years in prison.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
Wow, those are the clips of the pictures one hopping
it to the car, correct, right, John Stockton.

Speaker 11 (29:30):
Yeah, And like the numbers, it's like they made like
five thousand dollars here, seven thousand dollars here, you cuckoo birds.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
I know, cuckoo's insane. It is give them five thousand
dollars and move on, just move on.

Speaker 10 (29:42):
Or these has been detained or arrested.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
That happened. Class A is not under custody yet, fact,
how did you how did you blanket Ortiz's name when
you knew you could pronounce it like that? Right?

Speaker 3 (29:53):
Right?

Speaker 2 (29:54):
Completely?

Speaker 11 (29:56):
Yes, it happens, emanual class.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Find Manti at Manci Milana. She'll be around here with
some fantasy numbers coming up in about ten minutes or so.
That's a whole crazy situation. It's insane. Yeah, and it's
probably not going to end. Oh no, not at all.
So the fight that got Duran Payin kicked out. Do
you ever get any fights during your in a game? Yes? No,

(30:23):
I was too tired. Number one. I'm like, if you're
going to do all that you can win, you got it.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
Not on the field, obviously, there's some stuff in practice
and little things like that that could happen, not in
the game.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
Yeah, I would also they practice, I could probably it
goes now, yes, because you're around them all the time,
your teammates. Yes, it's just I hate you. Yeah, I
love you, but I hate you. Yes, it's it's non stop.
That's why I like you. If you're to go up
against someone like Aaron Donald in practice every day, Like
I don't feel bad for Aaron Donald's opponents. I feel

(30:55):
bad for the Rams offensive line that had to practice
against him all the time.

Speaker 3 (30:59):
Yes, that's yeah, that's the part that would just wear
me out. And you know you don't take it. It
doesn't look like he take any snaps off either. No.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
Absolutely, Matthew Stafford Monzi said, four hundred touchdown club. Only
eight other quarterbacks have reached that mark.

Speaker 3 (31:15):
Let me see Peyton Manning, Dan Marino, Farv Brady, Matthew Stafford.
That's five, Philip Rivers six uh oh, Aaron Rodgers seven yep,
and Drew Brees.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
Yes, there is good job.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
Yeah, one, two, three, four. You can have passed automatic
win when the game comes back in twenty twenty six,
just for that one, just for that. Wow, good job,
Carrie Roads. I would not have been able to do that.
I would not have been finally, make Carrie twenty five Roads.
You could find me at Dan Byer on Fox. Seahawks

(32:02):
gonna have to punt it away. Oh, Juwan Jennings a
touchdown reception from Mac Jones. So the Niners a little
bit closer. But it's twenty one to seven, three minutes
to go out til a halftime. I actually Michael Dixon
was coming out to hold for Jason Myers, who's going
to kick a field goal, So it's not a punt attempt,
it's a field goal attempt for Seattle. It's going to

(32:23):
be about forty six yard field goal attempt. Seattle up
thirty five to seven on the fourth and nine with
a minute forty two left to go, and the kick
is true. So it's thirty eight to seven Seahawks, and
the Lions have that twenty two to ten lead on
the Commanders as they near halftime. In DC, we mentioned
Jonathan Taylor's day. It was for fantasy, but he wasn't

(32:43):
the only one to have a big day, including someone
who actually wanted to be traded. This week, Montial have
those numbers. Next, he's Carrie, I'm Dan. It's end Zone
Radio on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (32:54):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio. Ram said, forty
nine Ers.

Speaker 2 (32:59):
First and golf the six, shak Us neck Jones under.

Speaker 3 (33:02):
Pressure pros, it's a punt touchdown for jo What Jennings
makes the grabby Then Zoe neck Jones beats the Pitts
and the Niners are finally.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
All the board once again. Here's Dan Beyer and Carrie Rhoads.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
The NBR forty nine Ers Radio network. So the Niners
within two scores may not seem like a big deal,
but they're gonna force a Rams punt fourth and ten.
Rams got to about the forty one yard line of
San Francisco new kicker this week as they moved on
from Joshua Cardy at least for this contest, So they're

(33:40):
gonna pund it away to San Francisco. Rams up twenty
one to seven in that contest, So the Niners getting
the football back inside their the fifteen yard line twenty
one to seven. Rams on top of San Francisco Lions
lead the Commanders twenty two to ten. Well, the Seahawks
continue to have that big edge against the Cardinals thirty

(34:00):
eight to seven with forty four seconds to go until halftime.
In that Cardinals game, Arizona wide receiver Jay Jones suffered
an achilles injury. He's been ruled out and he suffered
the injury carry arguing with the referees. It was a
weird play where Jay Jones was running along the back

(34:24):
line of the end zone incomplete pass, turned around to
complain to the ref As he turned around and used
as his left foot to brace himself that's where his
achilles appeared to snap. Yeah, and then he's now out
of the game and likely out for the season. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (34:42):
I mean for the best athletes in the world, and
they do the most complex stuff in games. They run
routes that are a human shouldn't be able to make
those cuts. And for him to just take a wrong
step and snap the achilles in a game, it's just ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
I cannot believe it. The Dre Greenlaw in the Super
Bowl a couple of years ago, of him just running
onto the field at that point, Your point is not
lost on me at all, because I've thought about it
with that Green Law, just on how freakish that is.
Like we've seen other plays and guys running and cutting
and of course and some of that stuff is understandable,

(35:21):
but here is just a normal turn that you would
make that anybody would make. Heck, if you thought you
forgot something in the grocery store, you turn around to
the parking lot and be like, oh, I got to
go down this aisle. And here it happens to a
football player in an NFL game. You say you got
me a squarreman in the chair. You every time you
say it, Carrie didn't want to look at it. I'm
not an injury person, but it wasn't even that gruesome.

(35:43):
It was just as it happened for sure. All Right,
let's get a look at some fantasy numbers instead of
the news desk with Mancy Blos.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
Fantasy heads and missus.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
All Right, Manci, who were hits? And we ten, Well, we're.

Speaker 11 (35:59):
Gonna start with the quarterbacks because I'm sure everybody played
Davis Mills today.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
No let me say I think no, I think every I.

Speaker 11 (36:06):
Legit did not know what this man looked like until today.
I knew he existed, but I did not know what
he looked like. Thirty one points. He is a top
quarterback today. He threw for two hundred and ninety two
yards two touchdowns. He did have an interception, but he
also added a rushing touchdown. Thirty one points. Coming in
at number two is Baker Mayfield. He probably gave you
about twenty eight points. He threw for two hundred and

(36:28):
seventy three yards and three touchdowns in Tampa Bay's lost today.
And then Caleb Williams has twenty six points, so he's
the third best quarterback of the day so far. When
it comes to wide receivers, Drake London, not in London,
but in Dublin, right, that's where he got twenty four
points today, Berlin in Germany, That's.

Speaker 2 (36:47):
What it was. Ireland, Germany, same things, sort of ty
whatever they did, we're playing games.

Speaker 11 (36:55):
Twenty four points today, six catches, one hundred and four
yards and a touchdown. And Amecga Buca also came in
with twenty three points today for Tampa Bay. Again they lost,
but he had six catches, one hundred and fifteen yards
and a touchdown. When it comes to the running backs,
Jonathan Taylor Woo forty nine points for my fantasy team.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
You have him so much, yes, we both having a league.

Speaker 11 (37:20):
Thirty two carries two hundred and forty four yards. He
also had three touchdowns, but he caught three catches for
forty two yards.

Speaker 2 (37:27):
He was just doing it all. Who also was doing
it all?

Speaker 11 (37:30):
Zavon a Chan forty points if you played him, which
I did.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
Twenty two carries one hundred and seventy.

Speaker 11 (37:37):
Four yards, two touchdowns. He also had six catches for
fifty one yards.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
Woo think I'll be tired. I'm telling you, I think
the Bills had that South beach flu. I don't know
what happened. What happened? It was so bad.

Speaker 11 (37:50):
Then they beat the Chiefs last week and then they
come in a divisional game and looked like idiots.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
He had a foreshadowing for the top for the hours,
something we're gone a little ban, some bad weathers. I
mean it was with ease. The Bills were never in it. No,
it was never a point where he thought they scored.
It was sixty to nothing, and they scored, they went
for two and they were stopped just short. So it
was just basically a two possession game for much of

(38:20):
the day. But it looked way worse.

Speaker 11 (38:22):
Yeah, like you thought the score was, you know, fifty
one to seven.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
The crazy party, Yeah, the crazy part about the game.
You know, Tua comes out and throws the interception earlier.
You're like, are we again? Yep, not not. The Mike
McDaniel sprinted across the field. He was so excited to
shake Sean mcdermot's hand, like, just this have been the
stat the reports over the last week or so, you know,
the Dolphins are are sticking with him and that it

(38:46):
isn't a four gone conclusion that he is out of
a job at the end of the year. Okay, So yeah,
so there's there's That is why I know you're surprised,
But that could be the case that there that McDaniel
hasn't lost the locker room, that ownership may still believe
in him, so there may not be a change. I'll
say this about Mike McDaniel because I know people don't

(39:07):
like his stick, or they don't like his personality or
how he talks. I actually think it's great. I enjoy it.
But for him to make Tua what Tua at least
was for a while, it's more than I think anybody
could have ever expected when we saw the troubles that
Tua had early on in his career. So to be
able to max out Tua to that point, I think

(39:30):
he actually deserves some credit.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
Yeah, I don't think their game plan going into games
puts them at a disadvantage. I think there's plays to
be made out there just haven't been made.

Speaker 2 (39:39):
Absolutely, Thanks Manzi. You can find her again at Manzi
Blanio's find carry at Carrie twenty five Roads. You can
find me at dan Byer on Fox Lines. Just kicked
a field goal, so it's twenty five to ten. Just
seconds to go until halftime. There they are at the
half in San Francisco, more like Santa Clara Rams leading
the Niners with twenty one to seven in the Sea

(40:00):
buck up thirty eight to seven on the Cardinals at
the half. One other name want to bring up Breis
Hall twenty one carries eighty three yards today, had one
catch for forty two yards in a touchdown. And this
is a guy that wanted out of town when he
watched his teammates get traded this week. And your Jets
get that big win against the Brons today. The street,
the street continues. Maybe without that forty two yard pass,

(40:22):
Justin Fields would have had twelve yards passing. Leave him alone?
Why do you go negative? We were just down well
with Reech. Justin Fields was six of eleven for fifty
four yards. The touchdown in intersection should have eleven times.
That's it. Yes, Oh my goodness, that was That was enough, Dan,
It was enough. Yeah, it was enough. Some of the
better teams in the NFL have had enough with week ten.

(40:43):
We'll tell you why he's carry I'm Dan. It's End
Zone Radio. It's coming up next here on Fox Sports Radio. Listen.
I'm not trying to be a Debbie downer here, but
I think it's let down Sunday. It's it is let
down Sunday, Carrie. Not only is it a major letdown
as it gets darker earlier ooh, a weekend. I know
you're not on board with that. There's also this cold

(41:06):
snap that has hit a decent part of the country.
So any hope of a longer lasting summer or fall,
it's like boom you saw in Chicago today, flurries in
the air. There were flurries last night in Madison when
Wisconsin upset Washington and college football. Don't worry. We won't
get to Louisville and PA. We won't talk about that
at all. I can't believe you even.

Speaker 8 (41:26):
Said I wasn't gonna do this to Massie today. It
looked cold. It looked cold in Louisville. I will say
it was bad man, that was chilly. But it's letdown Sunday.
Here on Fox Sports Radio, we will explain why in
just a second. Find Carrie at Carrie twenty five Roads.
You can find me at Dan Byer on Fox. I

(41:47):
also want to get your thoughts on if certain teams
are streaky or if they're actually good football teams. I
don't want to say great, but right now there's a
lot of questions considering what I'm going to lay out
here and what's happened this week on letdown Sunday in
the National Football League. You mentioned it earlier, MONSI mentioned it.
The Buffalo Bills last week looked darn good in a

(42:10):
win against the Kansas City Chiefs where Josh Allen rarely
let the football hit the turf, and they got a
huge win over Kansas City, only to go down to
South Florida and really not be in the game at
all against the Miami Dolphins today, losing thirty to thirteen
was the final. They weren't the only.

Speaker 2 (42:30):
Team to be susceptible of letdown Sunday. The Carolina Panthers
a week ago walked out of lambeau Field with a
last second victory. Look Out, now here come the Panthers
five and four, me hook up, cat scratch Fever, Bryce Young, Ricodowdell,
this new cant the Panther Mantra, and the Saints go

(42:53):
in to Carolina after playing in LA last week. Tyler
Shook making his second straight start from Louisville and Texas
Tech and Oregon. But the Saints get a seventeen to
seven win today over the Panthers. So Carolina gets the
win against Green Bay last week, they lose to the
Saints this week. The Minnesota Vikings beat the Lions last

(43:16):
week in Detroit, they go home. Granted they were an
underdog to the Ravens, but they still fall to Baltimore.
There was no carryover. JJ McCarthy continues to underwhelm in
a lot of his opportunities. I only say that because
he's been spared in games because of fourth quarter comebacks

(43:36):
and then the final point of it all, Jacksonville is
up maybe the entire game after a nice overtime win
against the Raiders, and they allow the Texans to come
back and win a contest that Houston had no business
winning today scoring what twenty two points in the fourth quarter?
Twenty six points in the fourth quarter. So the Texans

(43:57):
end up getting the victory over the jag Wars after
the Jaguars had a nice road winning overtime last week
against the Raiders. Let down Sunday. Let Down Sunday.

Speaker 3 (44:07):
I like what you laid out there, Dan, the Minnesota
Baltimore when I don't think would fall in that category
just because of Minnesota's been perplexing all year when J. J.
McCarthy has been at the Helm and right, and we've
talked about.

Speaker 2 (44:20):
It like it's never just not an opportunity to pick
apart my ard. That's only there to strengthen the branding
of Letdown Sorrow. Reason why okay, right, there is a
reason why I said it third go ahead.

Speaker 3 (44:35):
Yes, no, okay, we'll leave down alone. As far as
these other teams, I think you hit. I think you
hit the nail on the coffin, Like is it really
let down Sunday?

Speaker 2 (44:44):
Right? These teams?

Speaker 3 (44:46):
And I think with the same theme of this whole
season has been we don't know who's good yet. We're
we're a week past the midway point of the season,
and I don't think we know who the top teams
are in any division.

Speaker 2 (45:00):
We got some teams that we do. Who's the best
team in the AFC? The Patriots?

Speaker 3 (45:04):
You're gonna go Patriots the top team right now? Yes,
I wouldn't say they're the unquestioned top team AFCO. Who
would challenge them?

Speaker 1 (45:10):
The Colts?

Speaker 2 (45:11):
Who would challenge them? Right now?

Speaker 3 (45:12):
Yeah, that's quite a few things that would challenge the
Patriots right now as the best team in the AFC,
right it does me.

Speaker 2 (45:17):
Record rise and all that. Yeah, you can't say the
Chargers they don't have their tackles. You can't say the
Chiefs they're five and four. Huh. I mean the Colts
would be the argument, and the sure Tec not the
Bills today's but after Noone went to Buffalo.

Speaker 3 (45:31):
Yeah, well, I guess if you go by the records,
we'll say the Patriots are the best team right now
in the top spot, but they're not the best team
in that AFC.

Speaker 2 (45:39):
A what are you talking about? Just segments ago you
just jumped on their bandwagon team in the AFC.

Speaker 3 (45:45):
Oh one thousand percent. They were my surprise team come
into the year. So yes, I'm gonna be happy about it.
Would I say they're gonna go and run the Gautland
and win AFC right now? Absolutely not.

Speaker 2 (45:55):
I don't know what they're gonna do in January. Yeah,
but I know they're gonna be playing in January. That
is That is ki sure for sure. And I think
that there are about three or four other teams that
we know are going to be playing in January for sure.
Even if I think that the NFC playoff picture was
set a week ago. Still won't move off of that,
but I wrote down I think that there are four Actually,

(46:16):
I think that there are three really really good teams,
and I would expand it to maybe five of teams.
Adam Kaplan's going to come on. He has a circle
of trust that he talks about. That's right that maybe
I wouldn't give a key to that circle of trust,
but maybe i'd let him in for an opportunity. Well,
you have three teams in AFC that are for sure
well not in the NFC, the NFL, oh, the NFL

(46:37):
three times, New England, the Rams, and the Seahawks.

Speaker 3 (46:42):
Huh wow, right now Seahawks. So no, no Eagles, no Lions.

Speaker 2 (46:47):
Not right now, right now, not right now.

Speaker 3 (46:50):
Say that's the thing though, the letdown part we've talked
about before Dan, is it let down or these other
teams desperate as well?

Speaker 2 (46:58):
And I think that's the part that to the equation.

Speaker 3 (47:00):
When you laid these teams out right Jacksonville Houston, Jacksonville
had no business losing that game in the fourth quarter,
But coming into this game, did you think that they
would come in and be on top of Houston like
this in this game.

Speaker 2 (47:13):
Yeah, I know this.

Speaker 3 (47:15):
That's conversation though, right, So I don't think it's a letdown.
So I think you're playing You got teams that are
Houston who come into the year we thought would be
probably winning that division. They're not doing that right now.
But they're a talented team. They got one of the
top defenses in the league, and so for them to
come back and win a game, not in the fashion
they came back and.

Speaker 2 (47:34):
Did it like we wouldn't expect that.

Speaker 3 (47:35):
But if we said Houston beat Jacksonville this game, I
don't think it would be a stretch to say Houston
won a game and they don't win.

Speaker 2 (47:41):
No, Jacksonville was favored coming in, Yes, so road favorite,
and there's probably more about Davis Mills than anything else
for sure, for sure in that scenario. Yeah, I mean
just the go ahead. No, I don't think it was
easy being back to being on the road back to
back weeks, especially when you're an East Coast team playing
in Vegas to having to go back and playing that's
not an easy task. But when you're up in the

(48:02):
way that you were in this game, there's no excuse
on why you should have lost it.

Speaker 3 (48:06):
Yeah, no, No, these teams are so evenly matched, Dan,
and we don't know what we're getting from them week
to week.

Speaker 2 (48:12):
I mean, Minnesota can't have a let down going to Baltimore.
They need to get as many win as they can.
And so that game was in Minnesota, so that was yeah, yeah,
I was in Minnesota today. So that's kind of why
put it into the equation of of you know, like,
all right, let's carry this over. By the way. For
as hot as Baltimore is and we have been talking
about them and their possibility of moving back into the

(48:33):
playoff picture, they're still not great the way that they
won today. It's not like Derrick Henry's running away. Honestly,
when I watched Lamar play today a lot. They even
ran a play for him kind of in a in
a tush push play where he actually lined up in
the back and they took a snap and pitched it
back to him and he ran around the end. But
I'm like, really, yeah, I'm like, is Lamar going to

(48:55):
be as free flowing Lamar with the hamstring questions? Right? Yea? Now,
they were able to to use various targets today, but
I don't think they're the same Ravens team that we
saw a year ago and even two years ago for
that matter, What do you think about defensively?

Speaker 3 (49:10):
You would you give them credit on improving or was
just or was that McCarthy really really bad today?

Speaker 2 (49:16):
I think McCarthy is just not a good quarterback right now.

Speaker 4 (49:21):
Now.

Speaker 2 (49:21):
It's just a point of when even when I'm watching
and I'm the amateur, I you're the professional. You know
when the ball should be thrown. Of course, so if
your head is looking at one spot and you're waiting
two or three seconds, you already know that it's too long.
He's not putting the ball in a great spot for
Justin Jefferson, that doesn't seem to be a huge amount

(49:44):
of chemistry there. So even last week's come from behind
victory and doing so in the fashion that they did,
I mean, McCarthy was twenty forty two today, was picked
off twice in the contest, and I would say that
two forty two is a bit of a struggle. Dan
just trying to get it.

Speaker 3 (50:01):
And now to support your claim of letdown Sunday, I'm
gonna go with you on the Saints and Panthers and
the Bills and Dolphins, those those are let down games,
like there's no question behind it. Like for the Bills
to come out and play this way after just beating
the Chiefs, obviously astronomical win for them and their confidence

(50:24):
and the tenor around that team. Right, you go to
six and two, beat the Chiefs pretty convincingly, right, and
you have your hot your MVP candidate, play like an
MVP candidate. Then he comes back this week and looks terrible.
I mean, he's turned the ball over things that we
looked at with Josh Allen in the early parts of
his career, right, we haven't seen that from that part

(50:45):
of that type of Josh Allen at all in the
last couple of years. For him to go out there
and be the leader of the team and be the
guy that we think he is, and for them to
come out and play that way, that's a letdown. But
it's also a terrible, terrible game for that team in general.
And the Panther's the on a team that I've been
excited to see to come out and beat Green Bay

(51:06):
and then come and lose to the team we think
is the worst team in football.

Speaker 2 (51:09):
That's that's bad. I By the way, the forty nine
ers are facing a second and ten at the Rams
fourteen yard line, and Matt Jones has just hit Christian
McCaffrey for a twelve yard gain, so it's going to
set him up first and goal at the two yard line.
Rams up twenty one to seven. About four and a
half minutes gone by in the second half, So the
Niners getting the football to start the second half and

(51:29):
doing something for it in this NFC West tilt. Bryce
Young today just never they never threatened downfield. Now in
the previous games with Rico Dowdle's success, they haven't. They
haven't had to. But if you don't have ric O'Donnell
running for two hundred yards, you do have to make
some plays. And they just the Saints were never were

(51:53):
never threatened, They were never put in a bad spot
the Bills. James Cook has thirteen carries today, and I
understand the willingness and the ability of wanting to make
Josh Allen be Josh Allen. Yeah, but there's a point
in the regular season as well where I almost think

(52:16):
Carrie like in a way, you kind of have to
run through James Cook through the regular season and then
you can let Josh Allen be Josh Allen in the
playoffs because he's the true difference maker. But if you
want to grab the home field and make sure you
get the first round by things that they haven't been
able to do in previous years, then you're gonna have

(52:37):
to not lose in Miami like they did after beating
the Chiefs.

Speaker 3 (52:40):
And you talked about it, and we talked we both
talked about it last week. You brought brought it up.
But for the Bills to be successful, it has to
be cook. I mean, everything is predicated around running the
ball and Josh Allen just kind of, you know, being
a point guard and dissonant out in that offense. This

(53:01):
year now different years, he had to be Superman and
all that stuff. Yes, from in the win, but also
in those moments where he was Superman, he had multiple
targets on the field that could be, you know, make plays.
He doesn't have that now. So if you're going to
try to put it all on Josh Allen in these games,
it's not going to look the same. They were down
sixteen to nothing early in the second half. Allan was

(53:21):
picked off in the end zone Dalton Kincaid, one of
his favorite targets maybe his most favorite target was.

Speaker 2 (53:26):
Out of the game. He has a rapport with Dawson Knox.
It looks like that's who he was going to Instead,
the pass was picked off and the Bills weren't unable
to get any points. That maybe could have changed things.
But there's just no reason for James cooked only have
thirteen carries in a game. No, the forty nine ers
are in the end zone. That was Brian Robinson that

(53:48):
truck the Rams animal. So you heard carry hinch carry
has these natural NFL reactions when they happened. Extra point
was good. So the Niners are with in seven twenty
one to fourteen, as San Francisco is able to cash
in their Cardinals are facing a fourth and goal underway
in the second half in Seattle from the Seahawk two

(54:10):
yard line thirty eight to seven contest as Jacoby Brissette
again the starter now for Arizona, likely for the rest
of the season if he's able to remain healthy. So
Brissette's looking around. He has a lot of room to run,
but just didn't take it. Caliber you laugh, you laugh,

(54:33):
and the Lions are up. So the Cardinals end up
turning it over on downs. The Lions get a first
down there down to the twelve yard line of the
Commanders of twenty five to ten. In that contest, find
carry I carried twenty five roads. You can find me
at dan Byer on Fox Trade deadline is coming gone,
Who went and who left? Plus WA's in store for

(54:54):
the second half of the season. We'll talk to our
NFL and said our Adam Kaplan that's next year on
en Zone Radio said forty nine Ers Niners. With the
ball at the LA one tenth play of the drive
coming up, I set once again behind Matt Jones, man
in most left side, turns hands off Robinson, It bounces
off a ram Hey goes in for the Scar touchdown.

Speaker 7 (55:16):
Fort Ryan Robinson Junior mustles.

Speaker 12 (55:20):
It in.

Speaker 1 (55:22):
Back to dan Byer and carry.

Speaker 2 (55:24):
Rhodes KMBR the forty nine Ers Radio network with that call,
he made it twenty one to fourteen in favor of
the Rams over the Niners. But the Rams are driving.
Just converted on a fourth and two, and now Blake
Koram has taking a run inside the fifteen yard lines.
It'll be first and ten for the Rams. Five point
thirty to go in the third quarter, nine thirty to
go in the third quarter, and President Trump's in the

(55:46):
booth with your buddy Jonathan Bilma and Kenny Albert on Fox.
Lions rolling over the Commanders right now thirty two to
ten while the Cardinals are in the end zone. Trey
McBride a touchdown reception, and then Marvin Harrison Junior caught
the two point conversion from Jacoby Brissett. Seahawks lead Arizona
thirty eight to fifteen hit carry out by Kerrie twenty

(56:07):
five roads. You can find me at Dan Byer on Fox.
You can find our NFL insider Adam Kaplan at Kaplan
NFL as he joins us here. I'm on the inside
of the Birds podcast and so much more. Adam, how
are you doing in week ten, guys?

Speaker 5 (56:20):
I am, well, yeah, it's been a choke Sunday for
many teams at big leads. It's really been a fact.
It has been and I know it's typically like this
every year, but you never know what it's coming. But
the Jaguars that could hurt, look, they're still they're still
very alive, but that one does not help their possibility
of getting a wildcard.

Speaker 2 (56:40):
Berth I called it letdown Sunday because of the teams
that had great wins last week and then just let
down today. And let's start with the Buffalo Bills. How
does that happen in Miami for a Bills team that
was able to look pretty good against the Kansas City
Chiefs team last week and they're winning Buffet.

Speaker 5 (57:00):
Yeah, so they were without their nickel defender Tron Johnson.
Christian ben for their top corner was out. That crushed them.
They're down two d tackles. It all showed up. The
injuries matter and and at some point you're not going
to get away with it. I get it. It's against
a bad Dolphin team. But Devon Jevon ah Chan is

(57:20):
a really good football player. He had a huge game
to it and he wasn't asked to do anything very much.
But when he when he threw it, I mean he
he got the job done. The big one to waddle
for thirty eight yarder. But the engine that runs is
James Cook and that's where it starts. They became more
of a running team last year and they worked Josh
Allen off that and now Allen he got bruised, he

(57:41):
got battered. If you saw the game today, very indecisive,
very jittery when get rid of the football. And the
other part that the Bills this is a problem. They
don't have a true number one receiver. They were hoping
Keyon Coleman would be that guy. Yes, he got, he got.
He caught his big one the nine route for thirty
five yard touchdown. But overall he's been a disappointment as

(58:02):
a second round pick and there's some missing from the team. Look,
every team, guys, this year. The reason why it's completely
wide open. The flaws are coming out. Every team's got flaws,
and the Bills we just gave them to you.

Speaker 1 (58:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (58:13):
Let's we talked about that Bills game earlier and obviously
it's a disappointing loss they followed the six and three.
But I think the bigger story here, Adam, is now
there are two games back in that division with the
Patriots being eight and two and Patriots having to have
to head victory over them.

Speaker 2 (58:28):
So let's talk about that team.

Speaker 3 (58:30):
Let's talk about the Patriots, and obviously they're eight and
in number one in that division. What besides Drake may
what has been the biggest I guess thing that sticks
out in their favor turning this season around.

Speaker 5 (58:42):
Yeah, So it's funny you Tarke to talk about turning
it around. So you know, they have the awful loss
at home week one against the Raiders, and you know,
for those of us who didn't think they'd be a
PLAYF team, I'm raising my hand. They really turned things around,
and Carrie. First of all, the run defense is incredible.
They completely shut down the Bucks run game and the
Bucks cannot get out of their own way, So that's
a big deal. Christian Gonzalez one, he's been healthy this season.

(59:05):
He's played incredibly well, really really disciplined. Mike Rabele's defense phenomenal. Now,
you got to give Travon Henderson credit. I mean the
first the first first touchdown run he ran right up
the middle on touch but the second one he got
low on an outside his own run, and man, that
was a beautiful run. And their offensive lines played better
than expected to carry. Everything that's happened, not everything, but

(59:27):
mostly what's happened here is they're so far ahead of schedule.
On Drake May, he's been phenomenal. Look, here's a kid
in North Carolina struggle with accuracy, a lot of hero ball,
a lot of mental errors, and he's not doing that now.
Give Josh Virginia's credit, guys. I know, if I'm talking
to a Patriot source. He talked about in the off

(59:48):
season like he's no desire to be a head coach again.
He just wants to do a great job the rest
of his career calling plays and developing Drake May. I mean,
you can't look, they're almost certainly to be a playoff
team if they go far. I mean, you never know
about Josh Vig being a head coach. He's just not
a good one.

Speaker 2 (01:00:01):
He failed in both plays he has not, but he's phenomenal. Guys.

Speaker 5 (01:00:04):
You got to give him credit here for doing a
great job with Drake May.

Speaker 2 (01:00:07):
Yeah. Adam Kaviln joining us here on Fox Sports Radio.
The Commanders are in the end zone. Deebo Samuel catches
a touchdown pass or Marcus Mariota on fourth and three.
The two point conversion fails, so it's thirty two to sixteen,
and Matthew Stafford threw a touchdown pass to Devonte Adams,
so the Rams backup two scores on the forty nine Ers.
Montci Blagias will have more details coming up at the
bottom of the hour. All right, another rough one for

(01:00:29):
JJ McCarthy today in the Vikings. Is it more of
a Viking story or are we continuingly talking about the
Ravens and their comeback in their quest to get to
the time.

Speaker 5 (01:00:37):
I look, you gotta give the Ravens. Yeah, you got
to give the Ravens credit.

Speaker 4 (01:00:40):
Dan.

Speaker 5 (01:00:40):
They were down early and they fought their way back,
played great defense. McCarthy first pick was terrible. He throwed
a double coverage. Second one was not his fault, Jefferson
fell down, and then he had one that was called back. Look,
he needs to work. He's just got to play. When
he missed his entire rookie season save one three quarters
of one preseason game against the Raiders, and remember he

(01:01:01):
was rehabbing through June, so he just needs to play football.
It's a story, Dan, because McCarthy's got to play better.
He's their guy. I mean, they made this commitment to
him and they're going to cotinue. There's nowhere else to go.
They just got to play him. Look, it's going to
be hard to make the playoffs at four and five,
but he's got to play. He's got to play better,
and that's the bottom line. But I do give Baltemer

(01:01:21):
credit for their defense was abominable for about seven games.
And these last, these last couple of guys that come
on here.

Speaker 2 (01:01:28):
Now.

Speaker 5 (01:01:28):
The other thing is this is healthy. Itest they've been
on defense all season.

Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
Before Carrie asked you another question. Sam Donald has just
fumble the football he did, that's their third.

Speaker 5 (01:01:40):
I mean they're off thirty eight. No, I mean they're
not gonna lose it.

Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
They're up thirty fifteen right now. So but the six
thirty eight left to go there, Yes, but it's not
as not as comfortable. We'll get to. We'll get to
the Seahawks and their turnover issues in just a sec. Sorry, carry,
you're good.

Speaker 5 (01:01:56):
Three good?

Speaker 3 (01:01:57):
No, Adam, So I want to talk about the man Dan.
You threw me off here, but.

Speaker 2 (01:02:04):
That's I got. The Cardinals have it first intended the
Seahawks twenty six yard line. No, I have to go
very far.

Speaker 5 (01:02:09):
I got time left.

Speaker 2 (01:02:10):
No, no, no, Adam.

Speaker 3 (01:02:11):
So obviously, this league it's about it's a quarterback league,
and we like to anoint the best quarterback on probably
the best team the MVP.

Speaker 2 (01:02:20):
Can we switch that up this year and go Jonathan Taylor?
I mean he's been.

Speaker 3 (01:02:23):
Absolutely amazing, Like, what what do you feel about the
temperature of that team.

Speaker 5 (01:02:27):
I see, here's the thing that depends on like if
you're live, vote for Profooble Association one other one, but
the AP one. So you've got the Offensive Player of
the Year and then you've got the MVP. That's the
problem with it. This show only have one award, so
it's easier to differentiate between the two of them. I
don't have a problem with the Curry. Now, the MVP

(01:02:47):
award is rarely won by running back. Yeah, it's got
to obviously, it's got to be. In a conversation, Daniel
Jones was a little shaky today with with with ball security.
But look they won the game. John Taylors put the
team on his back like two say one Barkley did
last year for the Eagles. Yeah, he's absolutely in the discussion.
I'm very concerned though, with the defensive injuries. With the

(01:03:09):
word that I got from Buckner, they don't know when
he's gonna return with the neck injury VARs Buckner. And
then remember that Shavari's word went on ir Remember he
got hurt in pregame warm ups three weeks ago with
a concussion. That's not good. Now, the good thing is
that got sous carter and once you get word back,
that'll be a great tannem. But boy, it doesn't sound
great for DeForest Buckner. They don't have a timeline when

(01:03:30):
he'll return.

Speaker 2 (01:03:31):
The Bears are in the thig of things in the NFC.
Another win today, another come from behind whin there's six
and three. I mean, do you see progress with Killer Williams.
You have the game winning touchdown run.

Speaker 5 (01:03:42):
Yeah, he has. Look it's not perfect. There's sometimes Dan
when he runs around, doesn't get rid of the football,
tries to make a play that this is his first
year in Ben Johnson's offense. You have to give it time.
But they're six and three and by the way, they're
in on a lot of defensive players. In the trade deadline,
they were looking corner there there Jalen Jalen Johnson, the
top corner is out. He's been on IR, their nickel defender,

(01:04:06):
Carlo Gordon's and also on IR. So they've got problems
to their secondary, which you saw against Joe Flacco and
the Bengals last week. So they're not out of it.
But I give them credit for coming back. That was
an impressive comeback with a little bit of snow flurries
doing the game, which was interesting.

Speaker 3 (01:04:21):
Yeah, I want to talk about that. Adam does that
late game tonight. It's gonna be a big one, right,
the Steelers versus the Chargers. Obviously, the Steelers are five
and three and you know, not in control of.

Speaker 2 (01:04:32):
That AFC North yet.

Speaker 3 (01:04:34):
But if they lose this game, they fall, they find
themselves back only one game ahead of Baltimore at this point,
and I think I could see a scenario where the
season kind of can be derailed for them. This is
a big game for both teams, though. What do you
see happening in tonight's game?

Speaker 5 (01:04:48):
Yeah, and you know Pittsburgh talking to them. What they've
had is, uh, they've had communication problems on the back end.
Proud of the game last week when they really handled
the Colts. Daniel Jones really had a bad game, a
lot of mental errors with decision making. But it's to me,
you got this excellent front and you've got this problem
in the secondary communication. They've had, injury problems at safety.

(01:05:12):
They acquired Kyle Dugger from the Patriots, which is kind
of fascinating, Tess how Bailey the Patriots and that they
absorbed some of the cash and that it was doing
his base salary. To think about it, the Patriots, who
are one of the contenders, are treading Kyle Duggart to
another contender, which is like, never happens, But it happened,
and they got. They got. They just have to play
better in the back end. And look the Chargers at

(01:05:34):
six and three. They found a way to win last
week and this is a huge game. I do like
the Steelers to win this game. And by the way,
the Chargers have one of the worst home fields in
the NFL. I'd expect steal a Nation to be loud.

Speaker 2 (01:05:47):
That will be the case. Yes, yes, yes, absolutely. There
was a report leading into this Lin's Commander's game that
Dan Campbell had a play calling sheets and community.

Speaker 5 (01:05:56):
Definitely calling them plays.

Speaker 2 (01:05:57):
Yeah, there's no question of plays. What's going on in
Detroit that would lead up to this? All right?

Speaker 5 (01:06:02):
So I had a report and this is eight years ago.
I can't believe it was eight years ago. So John
Morton is the offense coordinator, right. He's a sort of
like a Sean Payton protege. He was there in twenty
twenty two. We worked one year with Ben Johnson. It's
work a lot in college football. USC might remember the
offensive coordinator there, but he had major problems. At twenty seventeen,
he was fired after one season with the Jets. The play.

(01:06:24):
He could not connect with the players, player agents, more
than three of them back then, at least three of
them said to me that they really didn't like Morton
and the scheme and inflexible, and the players have been
chairpering a little bit. James Williams has not been getting
the football till today. Of course, the players, a lot
of them been complaining about the offense. And Dan Campbell's

(01:06:46):
clearly seen enough clearly calling the play. You could see
it like they had one shot. Like you see him
going down it, down it, down it, down it and
then he calls I mean it's I'll mentioned to see though, Dan,
on your point. Now, they play the Eagles next Sunday
night in Philly. I'm very interesting. He's always been honest
when he's got involved in play calling their defense or offense.

(01:07:06):
He's been very straight with it. He didn't hide anything.
I'm very interested to see what he says after this game.

Speaker 2 (01:07:12):
Yeah, that's it a bit of a surprise. But you're
right now that you're saying all this stuff. There was
also a really good back and forth with Gibbs and Montgomery,
and then Montgomery got hurt at the end of last
year and so Gibbs kind of, you know, are merged
down to the scene. But there wasn't that back and
forth with them. Even that seemed off. With the Lions
offense and even just watching today, there seems to be

(01:07:33):
more of a cohesive nature, even with their running backs
in the backfield.

Speaker 5 (01:07:37):
Yeah, they're sharing it completely and Jameis Williams all of
a sudden, I'm just laughing because they signed this guy
to a big, big extension, right. The thing with them
was that they wanted him to mature and just be
more of a pro. Like when he got there. He
needed to grow up, and you know, he had a
couple of things happen. But he's got it. He accepted it,

(01:07:58):
and he's become a better teammate. But he wasn't getting football. No,
he's never been Dan a big, high target guy.

Speaker 2 (01:08:03):
I know, you do the finish.

Speaker 5 (01:08:04):
Show, but the bottom line is this guy supremely talented.
If you remember guys he came in with. He had
ac injuries last year at Bama, but now he's a
stud and they it's just funny how they've erupted today,
with Dan Campbell seemingly calling the placer this is a
this is a storyline. If they hold on to win,

(01:08:24):
which they're almost starting to do, this sets up a
really big showdown against them again in Philly next Sunday night.
But normally you don't see this, but you know, Dan
Campbell is so loved by his players. I just don't
see this being as big a deal as people probably
will make it out to be.

Speaker 2 (01:08:38):
Yeah, it's an interesting twist, but if it is better
for the Lions, good for them.

Speaker 3 (01:08:43):
They got to get that man touches for sure. Yes
they do, Yeah, absolutely, they are.

Speaker 2 (01:08:47):
All right. He's Adam Kaplan, our NFL insider. We'll talk
to ten week eleven at them, all right, Adam, guys,
get them up back Kaplan NFL. He's Carry Rhodes. I'm
Dan Byer Seahawks get a big fourth down stop stop
the Rams from scoring. Or maybe it's vice versa. Let's
check it with Monzi Milanial, so get the latest of
what's going on, Moncey, what's happening.

Speaker 10 (01:09:08):
Well, the Rams did get in the end zone again.

Speaker 11 (01:09:10):
It was DeVante Adams's first touchdown catch of the day.
But the forty nine Ers still in there. They're in
the red zone right now, losing twenty eight to fourteen.
But they just got going in the fourth quarter. Yeah,
we'll see if the Rams can if the forty nine
ers can stop the Rams. The Rams seem to be
scoring whenever they want so far in this one. The
Seahawks seem to have been scoring whenever they wanted in
the first half, and things have changed in the second half.

Speaker 10 (01:09:32):
Seahawks are still.

Speaker 11 (01:09:33):
Up though, thirty eight to fifteen, down to the final
about four minutes in the third quarter, but the Cardinals.

Speaker 10 (01:09:39):
Trying to not you know, lose by that much.

Speaker 11 (01:09:41):
The Lions have a thirty two to sixty lead over
the Commanders, also late in the third quarter there, but
they're knocking on the door to score. It's thirty eight
at Washington's ten yard line. Jared Goff has already thrown
four two hundred and ninety seven yards and three touchdowns
and we're still late in the third quarter here.

Speaker 2 (01:09:57):
What happened earlier today, Well, the.

Speaker 11 (01:09:59):
Patriots are now eight and two after outscoring the Buccaneers
in Tampa twenty eight to twenty three. The Bears did
top the Giants twenty four to twenty, so Chicago's now
six and three. The Bills fall to six and three
because they got crushed by the Dolphins thirty to thirteen.
Ravens had a twenty seven to nineteen win over the Vikings,
so Baltimore is now four and five, and so is Minnesota.

(01:10:19):
The Saints beat the Panthers seventeen to seven, Jets defeated
the Browns twenty seven to twenty, and the.

Speaker 10 (01:10:24):
Jaguars looked like they were gonna win.

Speaker 11 (01:10:26):
Yeah, they were up nineteen going into the fourth quarter,
but they lost thirty six to twenty nine to the Texans,
and the Colts are also eight and two. They came
back to defeat the Falcons in Berlin thirty one to
twenty five. Jonathan Taylor now has the most rushing touchdowns
in franchise history. When it comes to the AP College
Football Poll, of course, the first the top five to

(01:10:48):
not move once again Ohio State, Indiana, Texas A and
m Alabama Georgia, but Texas is now back in the
top ten.

Speaker 2 (01:10:55):
You know like that one, No, you don't mind that one?
I do? Yeah, like Texas there the one what four
in a row. NOWT like that helped Ohio State's cause.
For that's what it is. It doesn't really matter. But
I mean, yeah, the Texas is gonna face Georgia.

Speaker 11 (01:11:13):
I think this upcoming week BYU which suffered their first loss,
dropped four spots. So they come in at number twelve,
and then Pittsburgh and at number twenty three, wasn't ranked
last week. James Madison at number twenty four, wasn't ranked
last week. South Florida comes in at number twenty five,
was not ranked last week.

Speaker 10 (01:11:29):
Yes, I know, you want to know.

Speaker 2 (01:11:30):
No, I don't where long, I don't want to know.

Speaker 11 (01:11:33):
Today they're still here, all right, Hey they're not out
of it.

Speaker 2 (01:11:37):
Nineteen.

Speaker 11 (01:11:38):
They came in at nineteen, so they did drop a
few spots, but not too shabby. And one game in
the NBA has wrapped up. Rockets came back to defeat
the Bucks one twenty two to one fifteen.

Speaker 2 (01:11:48):
Yeah, I no, it was a.

Speaker 10 (01:11:48):
Good one at the end there.

Speaker 11 (01:11:50):
Yeah, they were down like they were they were, Yeah,
they were down double digits and they had they went
on like a twenty two to seven run at the
end there and Alprin schinoon and you know, and Durant
took over the thing.

Speaker 10 (01:12:01):
That's what That's what it was. Back to you guys.

Speaker 2 (01:12:03):
Kewantzi Rams are in the excuson the Niners are in
the end zone, but they just missed the extra point.
So Luke Ferrell touched on reception from uh mac Jones
twenty eight to twenty as the extra point was no
good So Mac darrell Yes, Oh, Dan, Sorry, Mary, Look,

(01:12:24):
Mary Mac just gave me a thumbs down. She's so
disappointed at me on that one. I was I wanted
I this is I just have to say about the
Seahawks because this is worth noting. I started the show.
You were in the hallway talking to VJ. Husky. I
was in the studio talking with Steve Hartman and he goes, Dan,

(01:12:46):
your Seahawks are logging pretty good. And I said, Steve,
I go, yeah, I agree, I go. I just have
questions about Sam Donald. And he was like, Sam Darnald,
what's there the question? I said, there's two or three
plays every game that he does something that just has
you scratching your head. So this is what we've had today.
The Seahawks have turned the ball over three times today.

(01:13:09):
Once Donald didn't get the snap from under center at
their own two yard line. Another time, at ricocheted off
of a helmet and twenty yards downfield and was picked
off by Arizona. The third time, he strips sacked from
Josh Sweat in the pocket trying to make something happen.
Those are three the standles turn They're up twenty three points.
They've turned the ball over three times today. Add those

(01:13:29):
three turnovers to their tally. Only the Miami Dolphins, who
have played ten games this season, have more turnovers than
the Seahawks do giveaways this year, and the Seahawks have
played eight and three quarters games, Carrie. So when you're
talking about this team, I trust them because of how
good that defense is. But when you have these plays

(01:13:51):
where you're turning the football over, and ultimately, no matter
how good Sam Donald's stats are, that's ultimately going to
be how you're going to judge him. That is a
big problem. And so they've got to figure out a
way they're probably going to win this game. Thirty eight
to fifteen, they got the football. It's a third and
one a minute left in the third quarter. Yeah, I know,

(01:14:12):
I called it over at thirty to thirty eight to seven,
or thirty five to seven. However, I'm just saying, like
later on down the line, when you're playing in big games. Yes,
because they lost to the Buccaneers when Donald threw pass
that Rickachet off, a helmet was picked off. Buccaneers kicked
the field goal to win it. And they had a
golden gold situation against the Niners in Week one and

(01:14:32):
Nick Bosa was able to force a fumble of Sam
Donald recovered by San Francisco and that was the end.
That's how the Seahawks have lost their games. So if
Seattle continues to turn over the football, it is not
going to be a good thing for them. So they've
got to shore that up.

Speaker 3 (01:14:49):
What are the odds that you throw two interceptions bouncing
off somebody else's helmet?

Speaker 2 (01:14:53):
Is that the first quarterback to do that? We need
to find that stack. I'll say, I think it's actually
a really good point because you would say, what are
the odds of that happening? But if it happens twice,
then there's something to it. You're either throwing it low
or or something of that that would allow that to
happen the first time. You can say, yeah, what are
the odds? And the second time. You say pretty good,
the odds are pretty good. He's carrier roads. I'm Dan Bayer.

(01:15:16):
The Saks are driving converting on a fourth and short,
so it's thirty eight to fifteen. At the end of
the third quarter, the Rams lead the Niners twenty eight
to twenty. That extra point was blocked by the way deflected.
That's why it didn't go through, and the Lions kicked
the field goal up thirty five to sixteen late in
the third against the Commanders. He's carrier Roads. I'm Dan Byer.
I'll look at fantasy numbers next on.

Speaker 4 (01:15:35):
Fox Lions at Commanders fourty short. Let's see what happens
on fourth down, Fox down.

Speaker 3 (01:15:44):
Just like you.

Speaker 2 (01:15:47):
Say, that was very important, got a little ways to
go yet, but still that was a yet. Now your
readyes have gone up because there's hup.

Speaker 1 (01:16:00):
I love the ratings. You gotta have ratings, but you guys.

Speaker 2 (01:16:03):
Have the ratings.

Speaker 1 (01:16:04):
So back to Dan Bier and carry.

Speaker 2 (01:16:07):
Rhoades h Fox TV on the call, Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma,
President Trump the three man booth there on the Commander's touchdown.
I noticed that Trump went in bro hug with Vilma.
Didn't give it to Kenny Albert No bro hug, No,
he knows the lean in for the hug just gave
the handshake.

Speaker 3 (01:16:27):
Came those JV from his New York days, So you
know it probably you know probably something there.

Speaker 2 (01:16:32):
And I'll tell you what. It's one of the more
entertaining things to happen during this game, because it's been
all Lions from the get go thirty five to sixteen,
and Detroit's got the ball near midfield early in the
fourth quarter, Seahawks up thirty eight to fifteen in Arizona's territory.
In fact, in the red zone facing a second and
eleven from the nineteen yard line, just trying to work clock.

(01:16:54):
You'd also have to think that again Arizona, with the
week that they've had, Yeah, played Monday night in Dallas,
traveling on the road, that if you can try to
lean on them, not only you're trying to work clock
if you're Seattle, but wondering on how much Arizona actually
has left in the tank. And the Rams extended the
lead against the Niners Kraen Williams a touchdown run thirty

(01:17:14):
five to twenty. The only thing that's going wrong for
the Rams. DeVante Adams did leave the game for a while.
They were kind of checking out his back. Don't know
the severity of it. Yeah, but it's a fifteen point
lead for LA with ninety and counting to go against
the forty nine ers. He is Carrie Roads, I'm Dan
bayer Manzi Blanio says, a look at some fantasy numbers,
and Jamier Gibbs just blazed a trail into the end

(01:17:35):
zone so fast, so fast.

Speaker 10 (01:17:38):
That helps me.

Speaker 2 (01:17:39):
That helps me a lot.

Speaker 11 (01:17:40):
Eyes I have them in the league that I have
my worst record in, So if I can pull this
one off, it'll be thanks to Jamiir Gibbs.

Speaker 2 (01:17:47):
All right, some of the missus fort today. We'll start
with the quarterbacks. Maybe you played Trevor Lawrence.

Speaker 11 (01:17:53):
Yeah, I don't know why I don't trust that guy,
but eleven points is what Trevor Lawrence gave you.

Speaker 2 (01:17:58):
He threw for one hundred and fifty eight yards.

Speaker 11 (01:18:01):
One touchdown and one interception. And there's a couple of
byes this week, so you know, some people stash quarterbacks
and you just have to play what you can.

Speaker 2 (01:18:08):
Maybe you had to play justin fields WHOA at one point.

Speaker 11 (01:18:11):
He was negative yards, but he didn't end negative yards, guys.

Speaker 10 (01:18:14):
He did give you at least eight points.

Speaker 2 (01:18:16):
He threw for fifty four yards.

Speaker 10 (01:18:19):
And a touchdown. He also had an interception, so at least.

Speaker 11 (01:18:21):
It was better than the negative that it was at
one point the day.

Speaker 2 (01:18:28):
Yeah it was so yeah yeah yeah. Wide receivers. I
played Michael Pittman.

Speaker 11 (01:18:32):
Yeah, three points today, two catches for nineteen yards.

Speaker 2 (01:18:37):
That's not it.

Speaker 11 (01:18:39):
Just Cardio, No, just Cardio out there, justin. Jefferson also
struggled today a little bit. Seven points. Four catches for
thirty seven yards today. For the Vikings running backs, the
top ones that everyone would be playing, James Cook, Derrick Henry,
b Jon Robinson, they all gave ten points today.

Speaker 10 (01:18:59):
When you go Jonathan Taylor, Devanney, chance is not what
you want.

Speaker 2 (01:19:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (01:19:02):
Cook ended with thirteen carries for fifty three yards. He
also had five catches for twenty four yards. Derek Henry
twenty carries for seventy five yards. Jon Robinson seventeen carries
for eighty four yards. So those are some of your
missus in fantasy football today.

Speaker 2 (01:19:16):
So the yards don't mean much. You gotta score touchdowns, yeah,
it just.

Speaker 11 (01:19:20):
It's it depends, but usually it's like, you get it's
a point. What is it like a point one for
every carry or something like that.

Speaker 2 (01:19:30):
It's like it just.

Speaker 10 (01:19:30):
Depends if it's PPR or not PPR.

Speaker 2 (01:19:33):
But this this would be for PPR and yes, a touchdown.

Speaker 12 (01:19:36):
One point per reception one point, not point, but you.

Speaker 2 (01:19:40):
Would get maybe a tenth of a point in each. Yeah,
you know, yes, that's the easier way to do. It's
a little bit different than yes, it's very complicated. Yes,
got it. Yeah, that's the way that was easier. Tyler
Ljier was the one to get in the end zone
for the Falcon. Yes, it was. That's frustrating on Robinson.
That's right, ended up getting a couple of scores. The

(01:20:03):
Niners are facing a fourth and four. They had offsetting
penalties with the Rams, so they're going to do it
over again, and this time it's picked off. This one
actually benefited them. I've said to Kerry, picking the ball
off on fourth down usually doesn't help because they're losing
field position, but because of the short pass by mac Jones,
it helped the Rams and the return. So the Rams

(01:20:23):
up fifteen and again Vegas knows. Vegas absolutely knows the
Seahawks ended up kicking their field goals. So it's forty
one to fifteen over the Cardinals, eleven fifty to go,
and the extra point was good for the Lions. They
lead the Commanders forty one to sixteen. There were MVP
champs in one stadium today. We don't know who they
were four but who is the MVP through ten weeks?

(01:20:43):
That's next on Fox. Okay, we think they're over. The
Rams have just put the exclamation points on their divisional
win against the Niners, yep, showing who's what. Getting some
payback from that contest earlier today, Matthew Stafford his fourth
touchdown pass of the game, Goby Parkinson the recipient of
the latest. So it's forty two to twenty. Monzi told

(01:21:07):
you Marvin Harrison juniors in the end zone. So that
game in Seattle as the Cardinals within nineteen and there's
still some time left. It's not nine to fifty to go.
So even though again I called it over at thirty
five to nothing, and now we'll try to reel that
back in. I don't know if it's too late carry,

(01:21:27):
but the Seahawks will need to get the ground game going.
Arizona does have all three other timeouts, so that does
play into it. And the Commander's just converted on a
fourth down play Deebo Samuel a heck of a catch,
But they are in an uphill climb down forty one
to sixteen. As Monzi said approaching the contest with there's

(01:21:48):
ten minutes left to go in the fourth quarter. So
a couple of scores late here, but as you play
it out the Seahawks, the Seahawks can't go three and
out in this scenario. Put the defense back on the
field again. I'm if you're Arizona down nineteen with ten
minutes to go, you kick it away or do the
on side. I'd go inside right now. That's what they

(01:22:10):
are doing right now.

Speaker 3 (01:22:11):
Yeah, I mean they haven't stopped Seattle. Seattle stopped themselves
this game. So yep, that was a terrible and side
kicked it. So Seattle recovered.

Speaker 2 (01:22:19):
And so now a shorter field. Yeah, but again, time
is more of the essence in this scenario. If it's
a two score game with five minutes left, it's a
competitive ball game. So that's the point that I look
at with Arizona, like, if you go down and you
get a stop force the Seahawks to punt, you go
down and score. It could be a two score game
with five minutes to go, and if you have all

(01:22:40):
of your timeouts. I wouldn't have on side kicked in
that situation. Yeah, yeah, I've been watching this game enough,
Dan down, I would.

Speaker 3 (01:22:46):
Have once I kicked that every day every day in
that scenario, the way they had been playing on defense.

Speaker 2 (01:22:52):
So yeah, I mean, obviously this is over.

Speaker 3 (01:22:56):
I think it's safe to say, Dan, I think it's
safe to say now this game, well, now they're Sam
Donald's throwing them ball. Oh my goodness, what are you
doing to Jackson Smith and Jigbo? Which usually a safe
but crazier things have happened.

Speaker 2 (01:23:10):
There were no Hillmans in the way, so I'm good
you're right about that. Earlier today, the New England Patriots
got a twenty eight to twenty three victory against the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers eight and two. Drake May two hundred
and seventy yards and two touchdowns was picked off once,
but the Patriots get a huge road win over a
Tampa team who now falls to six and three. I
put New England in as the teams that I trust, ye,

(01:23:33):
And there were chants today of MVP in Tampa all right,
all right, and Drake May of the New England Patriots
heard those chants. There were a lot of yeahs.

Speaker 1 (01:23:47):
For you out here in Tampa Bay.

Speaker 2 (01:23:49):
Did you hear them?

Speaker 1 (01:23:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:23:50):
It made for Baker.

Speaker 3 (01:23:51):
Baker played his butt all A big fan of Baker's game.

Speaker 2 (01:23:54):
And they a good football team. But you know, we traveled, Will,
that's the Patriots, that's us. We're gonna travel every week.

Speaker 5 (01:23:59):
They were.

Speaker 2 (01:24:00):
I like it. I like the way he's talking, right, Yeah, No,
I go right ahead, that's the right way to answer, exactly.

Speaker 9 (01:24:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:24:07):
I mean, but that's the thing though, Dan, Like, we know,
we've been around long enough to know the Patriot way.
It lost itself a little bit there, you know, in
the wane in the years of the Bill Belichick. Err,
but then what do they do? They bring back a
Bill Belichick disciple, A guy that played for him knows
how that works. But you can tell, I mean, starting

(01:24:29):
in the off season, right, Stephan Diggs was talking a
different tune, right, I mean, he had a different tenor
around him. Now you got a quarterback that's starting to get,
you know, some momentum, and he's playing well and that
team is playing well, and what do we do in
the Patriot way? We deflect, We deflect any of the praise.
We give it always to the team or the opponent
or whatever. And he's picking up right where the Tom

(01:24:51):
Brady and Belichick era left off. And obviously I think
you said it well as well. I mean, that's the
right answer. It's the right response for a guy that
hasn't done enough in his league to kind of be
patting himself on a back yard, but he's starting to
play really well.

Speaker 2 (01:25:05):
For that team to be able to answer that quickly
with that correct answer of also saying that they were
for Baker really shows you on how locked in Drake
May is. But the Patriots right now can really do
no wrong with that twenty eight to twenty three even
win over the Buccaneers. Even in the game today, Trevion Henderson,
who had a huge game. In between his touchdown runs,

(01:25:26):
there was a point where Drake May was rolling on
a bounds and May ended up being tackled and Henderson
kind of got caught up in it could have been
a scary situation. He ended up limping off, but ultimately
goes back in the game and has the second big
touchdown run. So right now, everything coming up aces for
the Patriots.

Speaker 3 (01:25:43):
Did you see on the long run when he put
the game essentially out of reach?

Speaker 2 (01:25:47):
He was running so fast.

Speaker 3 (01:25:50):
But we talked about the patriotay and actually being very
very well schooled.

Speaker 2 (01:25:55):
He was looking to go down. If he goes down there,
the game could be over.

Speaker 3 (01:26:00):
He was literally running and he looked over to the
sideline mid run to see a piece of go down
to score. Like the awareness around every situation for the Patriots,
you know they're going to have that going into the
game and they're not.

Speaker 2 (01:26:10):
Going to beat themselves.

Speaker 3 (01:26:12):
The point where they are now is they're not just
losing games by self inflicted things. They're taking care of that.
But they also have guys who have home run ability
as well.

Speaker 2 (01:26:22):
Yeah, and it was It truly was like you were
dropping on a highway and exiting and he started to
veer off and then he decided to go into the
end zone. The commanders into the end zone right now,
Marcus Mariota a touchdown pass. It's a forty one to
twenty two contest, a point after attempt coming up as
they cash in on the second and goal. Ben Sinnat

(01:26:44):
with the touchdown reception. So the Commanders on the board
again seven minutes to go in that contest, the Niners
are knocking on the door. Here they're in the red zone,
but facing a second and eleven from the Rams seventeen
yard line in a twenty two point game in Santa Clair,
with the Rams up forty two to twenty.

Speaker 3 (01:27:01):
You got a question for you, Dan, Yes, what was
your most impressive win today?

Speaker 2 (01:27:07):
The most impressive most impressive win today? Can I can?
I quick scam course, yeah, of course, I just because
I don't want to leave anybody out. I mean, I
think what the Rams are doing to the forty nine
ers when I picked the forty nine ers to win
today is pretty impressive. The Colts had every reason to
lose that game against the Falcons and to go in

(01:27:29):
and overtime and just to stick to your guns and say,
we're just going to continue to hand the ball off
to Jonathan Taylor and sure it may not work entirely
how we wanted it to and some carries, but he's
our workhorse. We'll keep on doing it. And it ended
up wearing them down to the point of two hundred
plus yards and the three touchdowns like, that's impressive to
me because the Colts aren't always going to be firing

(01:27:51):
on all cylinders. And I'm Kaplan talking about the Forrest
Buckner not being you know, available for who knows how
long as he was placed on on ir. For them
to get that win today I thought was impressive because
they weren't perfect today. Yeah, and to do it in
that setting in Germany was pretty big.

Speaker 3 (01:28:10):
I think both of those were impressive as well. But
I want to throw in that and were just the
team we just talked about the Patriots going into Tampa Bay.

Speaker 2 (01:28:16):
Tampa Bay is starting to get healthy.

Speaker 3 (01:28:17):
I mean obviously minus Mike Evans he wasn't there, but
they're getting healthy as a team. I'm really I think
they're a really good team, the Timpa Bay Buccaneers, and
they play well at home. So for the Patriots to
go in and get that win, I think that was
impressive as well.

Speaker 2 (01:28:30):
Would you call Drake me the MVP right now? I
would not know who would you call you?

Speaker 9 (01:28:35):
Well?

Speaker 3 (01:28:35):
You know, I mean my MVP right now is Jonathan Taylor,
And I know that's like the I don't know if
it's an I don't know. I don't know if it's
an unpopular pick or not, but I think he's what
the Colts have done, and obviously we wanted to go
straight to Daniel Jones. And with that turnaround, he's been impressive.
Minus these last two games he started to starting to
find some cracks in the same But Jonathan Taylor's been

(01:28:58):
the most consistent player all year from start to finish,
and what he's doing at that rune back position is
I mean, it's been super impressive to me.

Speaker 2 (01:29:07):
Shame Mogan Guard's our executive producer. If you had to
hand out an MVP trophy right now, would you give
it to So.

Speaker 13 (01:29:13):
Before I get into mind, let me give the NFL betfit.
I got some I yeah, yeah, yeah, so yeah, I
got Probably I want to say Baker's here. It's Baker's
here as a former Brown fan, a little bit of
my heart, but yeah, I think it's Baker's here this year.

Speaker 2 (01:29:26):
Yeah, And I look at it and it's difficult for
me to to not want to lean towards Jonathan Taylor
because of the downfall that Daniel Jones. It's not a downfall,
that's a bad I scratched that for maybe. Uh, Daniel
Jones is cooled off a little bit, but the Colts
haven't because of Jonathan Taylor. I think that that is

(01:29:47):
a big portion of it. The other, the other, the
other name, and then we'll get to the odds. Is
the guy who just threw four touchdown passes against the
forty nine ers if they keep it up, and that's
Matthew Stafford. Yeah, I think that those those are the names.
There are other names. Josh Allen still that you have
Josh Allen plus seven hundred or Shay is that what
your numbers? Plus fifty plus seven fifty, I've got a

(01:30:11):
sportsbook here, plus two fifty for Drake May, plus three
thirty for Matthew Stafford, plus five hundred for Patrick Mahomes,
plus six fifty for Jonathan Taylor, and plus seven hundred
for Josh Allen. Then it's Sam Darnold, Jalen Hurts, Baker,
Mayfield's at plus twenty five hundred. But you're starting to
see some separation with some of these guys. Drake May's
got a really good case and Matthew Stafford's got the

(01:30:33):
weapons that Matthew Stafford has around him magnificent, maybe more
so than what New England has. And so to see
Drake may do it, but I'd probably give it to
Stafford right now.

Speaker 3 (01:30:44):
Yeah, it's going to be a long shot for Drake
made to get it. But I mean if they continue
to play the Bay they're playing and they win in
to visit, yeah, you know that's that Tay is the
discussion to.

Speaker 2 (01:30:53):
SHA's like point about Baker Mayfield, Like, if they win today,
he's maybe at plus two fifty, right, that's what I mean.

Speaker 13 (01:31:02):
Yeah, like next week, once Baker Mayfield wins, and let's
say Drake may was to lose, they would probably swap places.

Speaker 2 (01:31:08):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 13 (01:31:09):
So it's like this is obviously going to change week. Yeah, look,
we won't really know until week fourteen, fifteen sixteen, but yeah,
I think that's great value for him, by the way,
twenty five hundred.

Speaker 2 (01:31:20):
And I agree with that. And the other thing with
Baker is it's not only Mike Evans not being there,
and it's not only Chris Godwin not being there. Yeah,
Bucky Irving hasn't played in forever, so you're talking about
the three guys in For as great as a Mecca
Abuka has been in his rookie season, Baker Makefield gets
some of that credit for sure, you know, and Baker

(01:31:41):
has been in the conversation over the last couple of months.
There's six and three now still in control in that division,
so they absolutely should be a playoff team. But I
think the loss today hurts. But if you're to chase point,
if you want to get some value that number right
now with Baker Mayfield, Baker Mayfield's more of an MVP
and to me than Sam Donald is. Oh so I

(01:32:02):
agree with that. Yeah, Donald's numbers right now shorter than
what than what they you have pa Ma Homes over Baker.
It's because all the books do. Yeah, they I wouldn't.
I wouldn't. I'm not as enamored with the Chiefs as

(01:32:22):
trust me. When you get to a game situation and
you play them one on one, Andy Reid in that
team for a week, they're going to figure out a
way to beat you. Yeah. Right. But as a whole,
they're five and four. You look at the resume that
they have, like you're just driving in, I'm like, oh, yeah,
they lost that Jacksonville. Yeah, you know, you know, No,
the chicks aren't.

Speaker 3 (01:32:43):
Yes, I'm the same, I'm with you on that, But
I think it's more of an indictment of their defense
this year than Patrick Mahomes. So last year Pat Mahomes
wasn't good, like you know, like yeah, I didn't think
he was right, And so this year he came out
with mine as you know, she rice and play well
in the beginning, and there was a moment like a
couple of games ago where they looked like it was

(01:33:03):
starting to click again for them.

Speaker 2 (01:33:05):
But I'm not high on them either.

Speaker 3 (01:33:06):
I think Baker at one point I think I had
I think I said he was the MVP of something.

Speaker 2 (01:33:10):
So I'm high on him as well. The Chiefs wins
this year were against the Ravens, the Lions. That's a
good win, Yeah, Giants, Raiders, and Commanders. They lost close
games to the Bills, lost close games to the to
the Chargers, and lost close games to the Eagles. I

(01:33:31):
just don't think we're they're as good of a team
as a whole. Like Lester, they just ran through the league, yeah,
like they truly were. They don't have a running game
right now. Zero is the ABA check go's hurt. Kareem
Hunt is old, it's my home still the leading rusher
because he was a lot right Yeah, I don't know
I would assume so, because I don't know if any
you know, Richard Smith didn't take over. You know, he

(01:33:52):
only had like seven yards last week, So can you
find that out? Say? Yeah, very very well, could be.
Why don't I I mean, I'm the chiefs you are, Yes,
I can take a look. This is gonna depending on
what of the wi Fi is. Pachecko has him topped
right now by thirty five yards. That's insane. So but

(01:34:13):
it's uh, actually, I take that back. Mahomes is third,
so it's a little bit Carewhunt is two ninety four,
Pachecko three twenty nine, with Mahomes at two eighty five.

Speaker 13 (01:34:20):
Ye, Cream Hunt had a more expanded role last week though,
because because Pachecko was out.

Speaker 2 (01:34:24):
Yes, and I'm sorry, Kareem Hunt is not putting fear
into the eyes of the opposition, all right. So here's
where it stands. The Rams up forty two to twenty
six on the Niners, just trying to work the clock.
Facing a fourth and one at the forty nine or
thirty four yard line, they're going to go for. Actually,
forty nine ers jumped off sides. Forty nine ers don't

(01:34:45):
have any more timeouts to forty two, so the so
it's likely over with, likely over with. In Seattle as well,
they got a forty four to twenty two lead on
the Cardinals to forty to go in counting. Cardinals have
all three other timeouts. But there also comes a point,
why use I keep them in your back pocket? Right?
And the Lions have just kicked a field goal attempted.
We're attempting a field goal and it's good. Wait a

(01:35:07):
second here, what happened? We have two games that are
forty four to twenty two.

Speaker 3 (01:35:12):
Yeah, six six, that's two the same.

Speaker 2 (01:35:17):
I was just looking at everybody's getting the store of
gami right now. Forty four to twenty two in Seattle
and in Washington, d C. And then you switched two points.
It'll be no, I still know. I was like maybe, so,
I think it's the karma from last week.

Speaker 13 (01:35:30):
It's just we had so many close games and like
crazy endings.

Speaker 2 (01:35:34):
Now it's like all right, yeah no, they're like, yeah,
let's just put this. You guys can have a break
again again. It's let down weekend in the National Football League.
More waste than one. Yeah, I expect a clunker tonight
between the Steelers and Chargers just kidding. I hope that's hard.

Zone Radio, Here you go. On Fox Sports Radio, Steve

(01:37:10):
Hartman and VJ. Husky have the No Huddle Hour. This
is the kneel down Hour, because that's what the Lions
are doing right now. Forty four to twenty two in
victory formation and the final seconds we'll take off the
clock so all of our late games are done. Lions
gonna win, go to six and three, Commanders fall to
three and seven. Every week, Carrie breaks down a play

(01:37:32):
from that week's games and tells us how it happened
and how teams well made the plays they made. Here
it is in today's fast Times. Take us to the
Windy City where the Bears were down to the Giants
twenty to seventeen on the other side of the two
minute warning and they needed some points. Field goal would
have been fine, touchdown even better. Here's how it sounded

(01:37:56):
on the Bears radio network.

Speaker 6 (01:37:57):
Wayams Rollinger was left running now fifteen to ten five
Hazord jip chose in touch down in the blue pain
Caleb Williams seventeen yards took care of business himself.

Speaker 2 (01:38:12):
It was second and eight from the seventeen on the
Bears Radio network with that call and Carrie, how do
the Bears ultimately take the lead on the footsteps of
Caleb Williams, Well, it's a.

Speaker 3 (01:38:23):
Ben Johnson special. He likes to play with tight ends.
He likes to get these snug formations to get your
eyes confused as a defender. So they bring him over
in twelve personnel. They bring the tight end down in
the motion to bring him back to a two by
two look, get the defensive eyes flowing one way. The
Bears run a boot action to get Caleb Williams on
the move, which I love for him. It actually gives

(01:38:44):
him the clear picture of things when he's on the
move and gets to not have to read the full field.
Got him and he fixes the running back, gets outside.
He has that first option to tight end out in
the flats, but he chooses to do it on his
own dan and he runs gets a big run here
over an eighteen yard touchdown to put the Bears up
and you know, and gotta have a game for the Bears.

(01:39:07):
I mean, you can't lose to the Giants in this situation.
Get a big touchdown run by Kayler Williams to get
him the leader here.

Speaker 2 (01:39:12):
It's interesting again, the Bears really down three at this point,
so a field goal was fine. How does New York
not account for kileb Williams on that bootleg play?

Speaker 3 (01:39:23):
Well, a lot of times when you give up a
big play on defense, Dan, somebody's not doing their job.
So with the motion to have the man the man
covers come over. His guy comes over there and he
runs over, but he gets lost in the wash. He's
actually covering him, but he gets lost in the wash.
But the key on this play is the defensive end
for the New York Giants, the outside linebacker Burns here.

(01:39:45):
When the motion comes, he comes down and gets a
little closer to the line of scrimmage instead of staying outside.
Tries to go make a play on that run to
stop him in the backfield. But he has to keep
contained on this play, and so the fact that he
goes in and go inside there, he gives Caleb Williams
the corner. Caleb Williams used the speed to outrun the

(01:40:05):
rest of the defense and scores a big touchdown for
the Bears.

Speaker 2 (01:40:07):
Here it looked like the Giants thought the Bears would
maybe settle for a field goal. They did not, and
the Bears are they victor fast times with Carrie Rhodes.
Brian Burns did get a hand on Caleb Williams. The
problem was it was at the one yard line, like
Burns turned on the after burners because the thing he knew,
he made the mistake exactly and by the time he

(01:40:29):
got Caleb Williams, Williams was a step away from giving
the Bears the lead. Yeah, it's always Dan.

Speaker 3 (01:40:34):
A lot of times if we look at the big plays,
and obviously that's what a lot of fans want to see,
the touchdowns and you're going to give all the offense
to credit. But a lot of times in these plays, man,
it's the defense not keeping their eyes on their work.

Speaker 11 (01:40:47):
It is.

Speaker 2 (01:40:47):
It's amazing that the that burns in that situation. And
I'm just trying to take myself like, if I'm a
defender in that scenario, what is really going on to
kill me? But they're thinking of like, how can I
make a play to help us win this game, and
Burns is thinking, if I can tackle DeAndre Swift in

(01:41:08):
the backfield and make it third and long, there is
no way that they're going to do anything crazy when
they're in field goal range and looking at it from
the outside in it's I don't want to say it's
silly because it's not what it is, but I'm thinking
Bears have an opportunity to win this game at this point,
and maybe that just didn't come into the consideration. A

(01:41:30):
couple of guys pursuing the run in that scenario.

Speaker 3 (01:41:33):
Yeah, you know, Ben Johnson's not trying to settle for
a field goal here, So you also got to know
who you're going against as a play caller, right, Ben
Johnson's going to be aggressive, and that's who he's been.

Speaker 2 (01:41:41):
Yeah, and the Bears are six and three and in
the thick of it of the NFL playoff picture will
give you a better look at that playoff picture could
break down Kerry after Manzi Blanos gets us all caught
up from the day in sports, it settled out with
the game in Germany. Also sad news is former NFL
can make sure Paul Taglibu ended up a passing away,

(01:42:01):
so you had that going down, But there are full
set of games. Montsi's got the details, mots what's going on.

Speaker 11 (01:42:07):
Yeah, we'll start with the oneside. Just wrapped up the Seahawks.
You know, I got a little interesting there for just
a hot second, but the Seahawks came out and just
rolled past the Cardinals. Forty four to twenty two was
the final score. Seattle improves to seven and two. The
Rams also improved to seven and two after outscoring the
forty nine ers forty two to twenty six. Matthew Stafford

(01:42:28):
through for two hundred and eighty yards and four touchdowns,
bringing his career total to I believe it's four hundred
and two now after the four that he had today.
Not a bad day for Matthew Stafford. The Lions improved
to six and three. They just topped the Commanders forty
four to twenty two. Jared Goff threw for three hundred
and twenty yards and three touchdowns, but it was jamieir
Gibbs a show. You had fifteen carries, one hundred and

(01:42:50):
forty two yards, two touchdowns, plus three catches for thirty
yards and a touchdown. So yeah, Detroit is now six
and three. But as you mentioned Football Today started it
in Berlin the Colts. It wasn't pretty, but they came
back to defeat the Falcons in overtime thirty one to
twenty five.

Speaker 2 (01:43:06):
Jonathan Taylor did it all for them.

Speaker 11 (01:43:08):
He had thirty two carries, two hundred and forty four
yards and three touchdowns. He now has sixty six rushing touchdowns,
which is the most enfranchised history. Davon Achan also did
a lot of the carrying for the Dolphins, twenty two
carries for one hundred and seventy four yards and two touchdowns.
They crushed the Bills thirty to thirteen. Buffalo never had
a chance. The Patriots outscored the Buccaneers in Tampa twenty

(01:43:31):
eight to twenty three. They are now eight and two
on the season, just like the Colts. The Bears improved
to six and three after topping the Giants twenty four
to twenty. Jackson Dart did leave the game in the
fourth quarter when New York had a chance to win,
and he left the game with eight concussion. Ravens are
now four and five. They had a twenty seven to
nineteen win over the Vikings. JJ McCarthy was twenty of

(01:43:52):
forty two two hundred and forty eight yards, a touchdown,
and two interceptions. The Saints defeated the Panthers seventeen to seven.
Chris five catches, one hundred and four yards and a touchdown.
The Jets get another win. They defeated the Browns twenty
seven to twenty and the Jaguars had a chance to win.
They were up nineteen points going into the fourth quarter
and they lost to the Texans thirty six to twenty nine.

(01:44:16):
In college football, guys, so, a story broke this morning
that UCLA is finalizing a deal for its football program
to play its home games at Sofi Stadium.

Speaker 2 (01:44:27):
Why would you do this? It's been brewing over the
last couple of weeks or so. But yeah, to answer
the question, it's closer to the campus, So that's what
there is.

Speaker 11 (01:44:39):
It Is it closer to the campus, yeah, so Fi
than the Rose Bowl?

Speaker 2 (01:44:43):
Yes?

Speaker 11 (01:44:44):
But is it is the traffic nearly as backs La Converstion.
You know what I'm saying, So you because a lot
of the argument is that the students aren't going to
go to Sofi, that they're not going to want to
go to Sofar.

Speaker 2 (01:44:59):
No, and listen, I don't I don't live in that
part of town. I used to a long time ago.
I lived in basically a closet. But the Metro has
been upgraded, right it has. Yeah, But so I mean
that just seems I don't know. I feel like if
I was a there's history at the rules. I don't
like it. Yeah, I don't know. I don't like it either,

(01:45:20):
But I don't know. Yeh oh me, I'm just I
don't like it. I agree, I agree. I was trying
to just give it. No, I don't love you don't
like it. I'm sorry. I thought you were agreed with
the move. Sorry, sorry, Okay, No, I don't agree. No,
I don't like it. I mean, it's not like the
Rose Bowl has been a dandy. You got to put
a better product on the field than maybe it will.

Speaker 3 (01:45:41):
I was about saying, it's only thirteen people going anyway,
so out it hasn't been.

Speaker 2 (01:45:45):
Yeah, it hasn't. I don't know if so far the answer.

Speaker 11 (01:45:49):
You want some NBA scores, Because the Grizzlies are beating
the thunder right now, sixty seven to sixty three halfway
through the third quarter. She gildas Alexander is playing you guys,
he's just not shooting the ball as hot, maybe not
getting as many fouls. He's got fifteen points. Celtics and
Magic are tied of fifty seven early in the third,
and the next are just crushing the nets eighty three
to sixty two early in the third.

Speaker 2 (01:46:07):
I'm talking to MANSI you love soops?

Speaker 12 (01:46:09):
I do love hoops? Head Yeah, outside of are asked
outside of the bucks, I stop it. They are, Well,
you guys have your own conversation. I'll talk to the
audience audience. I just the NBA just has fallen off
my radar. Why come on, Dan?

Speaker 10 (01:46:28):
This has been coming though for Dan. I feel like
even last.

Speaker 3 (01:46:31):
Year, you're just kind of like, I think, isn't the
viewership up like ninety two percent of something? As you know,
it was a stat that was out that was I
would think.

Speaker 2 (01:46:38):
That it was after the first two games, after the
first week, and I thought that I think they've lost
a lot of mentum. I think the World Series took momentum.

Speaker 10 (01:46:45):
Yeah, absolutely absolutely, and so the.

Speaker 2 (01:46:48):
Baseball basketball fight. I like college basketball as well. College
basketball just tipped off this week. So that's that's been fun.
But it is funny when the NBA does come out
for the first week, and there's all these things that
are happening thing and then it just kind of you
get in a football mode. College football's you know, hitting
the stretch run, you're getting the playoff rankings coming out.

(01:47:08):
It is a bit of a different feel.

Speaker 3 (01:47:10):
Entertaining this thought real quick. All right, we've we've been
talking about, you know, the top teams in AFC. Right,
are we fall in I guess victims to maybe the
teams that we perceived that were going to be great
this year they're just aren't great. And the Colts and

(01:47:30):
the Broncos and the Patriots are great teams and we
don't give them enough credit at this point. Like obviously
we know Denver they're eight and two is a little skewed.
I mean they I don't think they're as good as
aid and two, but they're eight and two, and you
can't look past that, like are we doing that? I
mean there's three teams that are eight and two. Well
you know my thoughts on Denver. Yeah, but I didn't

(01:47:53):
think that they would do it like this. I expected
more from their offense.

Speaker 2 (01:47:57):
I still give them a chance because if Patrick's are
ten back healthy, that defense is a menace. It's an issue.
It's why I picked them to win the Super Bowl, honestly,
not because I thought bow Knicks was going to take
this amazing leap. I just thought defensively that they were
They were just so good and you could you could
win a Super Bowl that way. I'm like the Colts today,

(01:48:18):
like there are warts, there are no doubt there are warts.
But watching Jonathan Taylor two hundred and forty four total
yards today and then just committed to that. I like
teams that follow their identity, and I think that the
Colts do with their their offensive line. We thought that
the Eagles had an identity, and I'm not sure that
they do. The offensive line hasn't been as good as

(01:48:39):
it has been in years past. Now we're talking about
AJ Brown and Jalen Hurts. Because I put the Eagles
as defending Super Bowl champs that we thought, hey, this
team is going to be back. They lost some pieces
on defense via free agency. They haven't been nearly as
dominant or maybe even as good as we thought. The
Lions have had some warts. Maybe this change with the

(01:49:00):
play calling turns them around. It's tough to say when
you do it against the Commanders because we're just a
week removed. But I do believe in the Patriots. I
do believe in the Colts, and in a way, I
do believe in the Broncos because they did at the
beginning of the year. But the Colts and Patriots, to me,
have shown enough that there's no reason for us to
question out, could they play the Chiefs and the divisional

(01:49:20):
playoffs and lose the football game? Yeah, they could be,
but guess what, there's a chance the Chiefs don't make
the playoffs. Yeah, and right now I think that the
Colts and Patriots are safely in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (01:49:30):
And that's why, and that's why I bring it up, right,
because I'm just going through in my head like, yeah,
we keep saying it it's up for grabs, and we
were saying like nobody's great, and I think all those.

Speaker 2 (01:49:40):
Things are true.

Speaker 3 (01:49:41):
But it's not to say that the Colts or the Broncos, O,
the Patriots can't be great. We're still got a lot
of season left and if they continue this way, then
I think the conversation does change.

Speaker 2 (01:49:51):
And I thought, like a team like Buffalo when we
looked at the Colts, when the Colts got off to
the start, that they got off to I looked at
a team like Buffalo, like, yeah, Buffalo could going there
and go to Indianapolis and win a game on the
fast turf, and they probably still could, but not that
Buffalo team today. And so you're also talking about streaky teams,

(01:50:12):
like I wrote, So the three teams that I really
trust that are good are New England, the Rams, and
the Seahawks, and I put the Colts and the Chargers
on the outside of that. I also made a list
of teams that I just think are streaky that I
wouldn't trust. Buffalo's on that list, Denver's on that list,
Green Bay's on that list, Chicago's on that list. The
Lions right now are on that list. Unless they they

(01:50:35):
back up today's win with a win next week against Philadelphia,
then they could be moved on to the to the
good list. But yeah, I have I have concerns. The
Steelers are on my streaky list. If they win tonight
wins against the Chargers and Colts and back to back
weeks like that's that's pretty good for everybody who wanted
to write them off and to say that they were
the team that the Ravens were going to reel in

(01:50:56):
at the end of the division.

Speaker 3 (01:50:57):
Yeah, I think it's fascinating when you look at it.
I mean, we just said right now, if the playoffs
started today, Ken City, Houston, and Baltimore wouldn't make the playoffs,
and we had all of those probably winning division or
being being in contention for that right. Absolutely no, he's
Carrier Roads. I'm Dan Byer are weeks an MVPs.

Speaker 2 (01:51:18):
There's another game tomorrow, as we mentioned, the Eagles and
Packers playing at lambeau Field, and of course tonight's game
between the Steelers and Chargers at so far would take
a look at those in the highlights next here on
Fox Sports Radio. This voice sounds familiar. I think I
heard that guy before.

Speaker 3 (01:51:36):
You guys heard that You heard that guy before, So
you don't know, you don't know what mayor is this hush?

Speaker 2 (01:51:43):
I've been hurt hearing about this song for months, least months,
And when's it's going to be released? Comes out this Thursday?
This Thursday? Damn all right, you're ready for another iTunes purchase?
And my guy Dan rocks it too. I appreciate that
the port on it.

Speaker 7 (01:51:59):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:51:59):
I can't wait. I can't wait to hear the whole thing.
And not just the ninety second previous. You know that
it gets in the Apple Music Store. Yeah, but where
can they find all your music?

Speaker 3 (01:52:09):
You can find all my music on any streaming platform
you listen to, I mean, Apple, Spotify, iTunes, Pandora.

Speaker 2 (01:52:17):
Are you going to go down that? I'll tell you what.
In all the places, you can't go to YouTube and
find Kerry fumbling the football after an interception. Yeah, you can't.
You can do that. Look everywhere for this play. You
can't find it. I don't know if you had it
scrubbed from the internet or what. No come in, no coming,
but but yeah, no, congratulations on a single and can't

(01:52:38):
wait for it to come out, Thank you so much.
On Thursday, Sunday Night football is tonight Steelers and Chargers.

Speaker 3 (01:52:43):
You like the Chargers in this game. I like the
Charges in his game. You know, the Charges have been
dealing with some injuries. I just lost Joe Alt. Obviously,
they signed a tackle to come in to you know
kind of you know, add some support there. And it's
one of these games where the Charges, I mean, they
both teams need to win, but the Chargers can't afford
to fall behind. The Buncos are eight and two, if

(01:53:04):
they win this game, there'll be one game behind, so
they need to win this one.

Speaker 2 (01:53:06):
I understand there's gonna be a lot of Charger fans
or excuse me, Steeler fans there, you know, for a
Chargers home game, which yeah, you know, we get it,
we get the joke. But the Steelers fans do travel
very very well, so you know it will be a
lot of terrible towels in the crowd tonight. However, if
you have the better football team, I'd rather have that

(01:53:27):
than the seventy five thousand on my side. And I
think the Chargers do even with their injuries.

Speaker 3 (01:53:32):
What do you think is going to be the the well,
I know you guy gets to the MVPs, but what
do you think is going to be the side factor
in this game?

Speaker 2 (01:53:39):
Justin Herbert's right arm so you could protect him. They
just have so many weapons, I mean truly, like now
with the emergence of Gats and yeah, lad McConkey started
off the year slow. Keenan Allen provides the security blanket,
and I know Quinton Johnson is on and off, but
there's just he's got. They're just better equipped, and I

(01:54:00):
think that the Steelers offenses only can only go so far.
So I like the Chargers tonight as well. You know
what else? I like Ricky Herrera's Week ten MVPs.

Speaker 1 (01:54:10):
You know what common is k go, This is Fox
Sports and Zone Radio.

Speaker 4 (01:54:17):
M sure most valuable plays.

Speaker 1 (01:54:21):
Let's go Raiders at Broncos.

Speaker 2 (01:54:23):
Broncos look like they may pressure this a bit. Snap
is good. They do bring some pressure and they.

Speaker 7 (01:54:28):
Get hun They block in the polls bouncing around.

Speaker 6 (01:54:31):
They took Denver's football inside the Raider fifteen.

Speaker 4 (01:54:35):
Yards line KOA eight fifty AM and ninety four to
one FM. Broncos Radio Network. Falcons aid, Colts.

Speaker 8 (01:54:42):
Counter gives and Taylor cuts to the five foss.

Speaker 6 (01:54:48):
The counts at Berlin put the rock up, touchdown, Johnathan
Taylor our Colts Radio network.

Speaker 1 (01:54:54):
The Giants said, bears Wayam's.

Speaker 6 (01:54:56):

Speaker 2 (01:57:40):
It may not have been surprising in Las Vegas because
the Ravens were a favorite on the road in Minnesota
against JJ McCarthy and the Vikings, but Baltimore ends up
getting the victory today twenty seven to twenty After the game,
some of the Vikings were asked specifically running back Aaron
Jones about the eight faalse start penalties by the Vikings
a home game today, and he alluded to that the

(01:58:03):
Baltimore Ravens may have been making calls along their line
in their defensive front where the Vikings offensive lineman would
have thought. JJ McCarthy was saying, and this is the
words of you know used in the in the piece
by the Associated Press and the ESPN, that the Ravens
were saying something similar to set hut and that the

(01:58:26):
Vikings offensive linemen were hearing some of the Ravens calls
and that could have been a reason for a false start.
You're a defensive player, the stuff like that happened. Is
this legit? Or is this so we need to open
up a false dart gate? Is that what you need
to do that? Okay? I figured that. Would you put
it past John Harbaugh and telling his team to do that? No,
that three and five? They got to win it, all right? Yes? Absolutely, yeah,

(01:58:48):
for sure. So I mean, yes, we try to play
those games.

Speaker 3 (01:58:51):
I mean, obviously they've applied penalties for that, like if
you're doing it on the line of scrammate. So if
they were a little bit back, maybe linebackers, safeties. I
don't know, maybe, but sounds a little bit far fetched.
You mean even just you know, in college we get
a lot of that, the clapping that will start thing
or be the snap. But I would have to think
as well, you would know your quarterback's voice, you should

(01:59:13):
you know in that scenario, or you would know that
the guy across you is yelling set hut.

Speaker 2 (01:59:17):
Yeah, slunt yeah. I just didn't know if those sort
of gamesmanships going. By the way, Matthew Stafford was interviewed
by Fox after the game, and I've told you, Matthew Stafford.
Maybe I didn't tell you he's got the teeth like
Ross on Friends, like the the Viniers are so white,
but you were talking about his whiskers being white as well.

(01:59:39):
I don't know if it's distract us from the teeth
or if it's to play the sympathy vote of Hey,
I'm the old guy in this MVP race, Baker and
Drake May and Josh Allen there the young ones. What
I'm doing with this grat Yes, now, absolutely embracing the gray.
But maybe Matthew Stafford has some ulterior motives for a
little deflection Dan. Maybe it's just you know you have

(02:00:02):
the hockey beards in the playoffs. Maybe because the Rams
are playing so good and Stafford's like, I'm just gonna
let this grow. Bet you better not say it because
he's bawling right now. They got a big game next
week in Seattle against the Seahawks, so it'll be fun
to watch he's carry roads. I'm Dan Byer. We hope
you join us for Week eleven here on end Zone Radio.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
