Speaker 1 (00:01):
You don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Good morning, a morning, Good morning, Good morning Abby, Abby,
Fox Football Saturday Fellas. Jeff Schwartz, Anthony gargan Uh from
the Fox Sports.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Radio studios, Good morning, Jeff. It is a great day
for to whoop some butt. Oh, here goes right to
it is cow. It is a great day for us
to put a whooping on USC. And I cannot wait
for three thirty Eastern today when we execute said whooping.

(00:46):
I'm the USC Trojans. I am so excited for today.
You know me, we talk a lot about organ you
know some days, I'm like, you know, the Iowa game
is gonna be hard. You know now you love You're
you're loading up. Yeah, today we're gonna whoop some USC
and I cannot wait. Yeah, I listen. I think so too.

(01:07):
I think they roll. There's nothing better than beating that
arrogant fan base and that the USC Trojans. I'm sure
we'll hear about their their their championship twenty years ago
after the game. I can't wait. You know, it's I'm
just having flashbacks.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
It's bizarre, dude, is that you know, you know the
Fellas has been going on since probably two thousand and seven,
this show. All Right, the original fella was my dear
friend Lincoln Kennedy, Big one.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Sometimes you make mistakes where you go to college, just okay.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
All right, And it's funny you said that he hated Oregon.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
Well he still hates Organ. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Yeah, Hey, like when you go to Washington and you're
a Husky you hate the Ducks and vice versa. Right,
And I just find it ironic that, like some days,
I feel like I'm in the twild zone, right, my
two boys right too, o Linemen from compaming schools. It's

(02:13):
just it's it's ironic. You see that, don't you that
you understand that?

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Right? So from my perspective, I don't I get that.
I don't think people, by the way, understand how much
Washington Organ hate each other. I know, I don't think.
I didn't know until I started working with you. Here.
Here's the reason why is because that rivalry orgon Washington.
For many years, it was like Organ was ranked or

(02:39):
Washington was ranked. Neither. It was neat and very often
that the game has been sort of a blowout, right,
And the last couple of years we've both been good.
For the first time in forever, like a couple of
years ago, was the highest ranked game ever between either team.
So now because of that, it's a little more known.
But people look and think the Apple Cup the Civil

(03:01):
War Oregon Oregon state right, Oregon Washington Washington is the No,
that that is not uh, the the matchup that either.
I mean we want to win those games, of course,
but that's not that's not at all the matchup that
either of us really care. It's a Washington Oregon one.

(03:22):
We have the same resources, the same money. Uh. It's
it's a hated, hated rivalry. Yeah, it is. Uh, it's
pretty cool from my perspective.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
I didn't know the depths of the rivalry and that
you guys man, it's it's funny.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
I remember if.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
You you talking ducks, right, and you're Captain Quack and
uh Lincoln every week used to take I hate them,
I hate them like me talking about the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
Oh yeah, no, it's it's the hatred is real, man,
it is. It is real hatred. We don't like each
other that are like us. We don't like them, yeah,
and we all, but we also don't like USC, so
it makes it it works out well. That well, to
be fair to no one looks USC so unless otherwise
you really they're unlikable. So unless you went there and

(04:17):
you don't like them, you don't like them either. So
it works out well that we we are on the
same page there. But yeah, it should be fun today. Man.
I am so excited to watch organ play today. I've
been excited for a big game like this where I
feel like we're gonna hang on some business in a while.
I mean, you know, we've played some tough games this year,
but USC is a little bit different than all of them.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Yeah. Uh Like I look at this game and what's
the line ten? Yeah, it's a big line, and I
you know, I think you gotta lay it too. I
don't think that they're close line of scrimmage. I don't
think they're close. I think Orgage has way more U.

(05:00):
And I've seen USC a bunch of times this year,
you know, gets Nebraska gets Penn State, you know a
bunch of times, and they I just don't think that
they they match up.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
So they don't match up. Here's look. The thing about
this game is when you go over just rosters, right again,
this is college football, right, so it doesn't it doesn't.
You know, the roster construction has always matter. We've seen
upsets all season long, right, but you know, you gotta
you gotta think organ is gonna be obviously in uh
you know, in a focus for this game, right of course,

(05:36):
and their quarterback you can you know, I think Oregon
is better at quarterback, and then ma Ava Mava is good.
But I think I think more is better. Offensive line,
it's not close. Organs better and USC is probably without
their best offensive lineman in Elijah Page today. It's so funny.
So I think there should be a collegeable inter report.

(06:00):
I don't think, you know, if the NFL can do
it some college football and but there's ways to manipulate
it and the's and this is probably why I think
it's it needs to happen. So USC had Elijah Page
or left tackle come out to practice, uh this week,
right to show that he's gonna maybe play. He wore
his pads, Anthony, he wars pads, He wore knee braces

(06:22):
all right, like like oh, he's gonna practice today. And
then you look at his hands and you know, offensive lineman,
his hands had no tape, no gloves. That that was
the giveaway. He canna touch anyone practice without any tape
on his saying, I look, I would have found a
picture of him at practice, no surprise. Hands are fully taped,

(06:42):
gloves are on that you know, the elbow, sleeves are on.
None of that was on. So like that that, you know,
like stuff like that, like that can't get nothing by me,
So he's gonna get he's you know, Organ is better there.
Running back were much better now Key Miller is good
for for USC, but we're just at that position. Wide

(07:02):
receivers USC, Lemon and Lane are legitimately if not in Indiana,
it's not the best combo of wide receivers in the country,
or Ohio State's not the best combo wide receiver in
the country. This is up there, like these are legitimate.
They're good, really good. Accept it is worth noting that
like against your Nebraska Cornhuskers against Notre Dame, you know,

(07:24):
so of the better pass defenses, it wasn't quite as good. Right,
it's worth mentioning, Uh tight ends organ and then the
entire defense is organ, right, I mean, so like we're
just we're better everywhere. Now you have to execute and
not turn the ball over. Do those things that are important.
I put this up there a couple of weeks ago.
Assume me on Monday or Tuesday US. These home road

(07:45):
splits are like shocking. They average eighteen less points on
the road. They complete nearly twenty percent less passes on
the road. They are better on to their worst on
third down, like everything about their team. They have lessa's
titles for lost and have more points. And yeah, they
played you know no name I get on the road,

(08:06):
but they also played Purdue, uh, and then you know Nebraska.
They were losing. They were gonna lose that game until
Rollo got hurt. And yeah, yeah, I just I like
where we're at right now, and I'm I can't We
got game day there to day, we got, we got,
we got. I think we have Herberts in town, Mariota's
in town. Maybe bo Nick is gonna show up. They're

(08:26):
off this week for the Broncos. We got everyone at
a big bit of recruiting weekend. For the Ducks, we're
trying to flip a five star this weekend. So I
can't wait. How come you're not there? It's just too far.
It's a it's a long I talk to my buddy
about this, like I have to. I'm gonna it's gonna
be hard to resist the playoff game and in ads,

(08:47):
and I'm gonna have to figure out I'm gonna go
or not. Dude, you gotta go. Yeah, I mean I
don't have to miss our show, probably, but yeah, I
don't have to. Why you have to miss the show?
I'm probably even playoff will be during the week. It's
it's it's either Friday or Saturday, I think, or the playoffs. Right, Oh, yeah,

(09:08):
it'll be Friday. That's right, that's show. Because I as
much as I love our show, I'm probably not getting
up at three am on the West Coast and part
of it too. I mean we've been over this so
many times. It's it's hard to find a spot to
do the show sometimes on the road. So so yeah,
I mean it would uh nonetheless, I yeah, I I

(09:33):
would be hard to resist. But I'm not going today.
I went. I've been at two games this year. I've
seen enough. I'm good. I'm good. So uh but everyone's
I mean a lot of people were there this it's
a usc man and everyone's there. We got like all
former players I've seen on their instagram. Uh, and Justin
Herbert brought his new girlfriend back to town for the
first time he meet his parents. This weekend is it

(09:53):
is a weekend I'm dirt. I mean she's around town.
Everyone sees it. They're like, oh, there's yeah, but I
mean very like it's actually it's actually Justin Herbert's girlfriends
in town all right to meet them parents. Well, it's
very funny because, like, you know, she's very famous. I

(10:13):
didn't know who she was till she started dating. Uh yeah,
And it's just kind of funny to see like the
reaction of organans, Oh my god, she's a good day
Queen of Shelton today, Like they're tweeting out like her
their locations. It's so funny, man, it's probably shouldn't do that,
but it's kind of funny. Like the celebrity, like a
famous celebrities like eating it, like the local diner for breakfast.
They they they're like they're eating this. I mean that's

(10:35):
how Eugene is not the biggest town. So when an Instagram,
you know, celebrity shows up and she's an artist as well.
With Justin Herbert, people like they're they're in love. Yeah,
Madison beer baby, yeah and again like he's probably is
this it's probably the first time she's she's bringing that,
he's bringing her back home. We meet the parents, right, Yeah,

(10:56):
I don't know. I don't know. It seems like this
would be important formation for our show. Yeah, well you
get on that one, buddy. Big nonetheless, big weekend for
the Ducks. I'm very excited for today. I've cleared the schedule.
We're ready to go. Oh my god, you're giddy. You're
absolutely giddy. I got Cowboys tomorrow. So I'm kind of

(11:19):
feeling the same way. So, except your offense is not functioning, Well,
we're gonna figure that out. Yeah. Yeah, who's fault is it?
Who are blaming? Who are gonna blame the media? This week?

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Well, this week the blame shifted to Jalen, So there's
there's a lot.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
There's a lot of blame. Uh. There was a report
he doesn't want to throw the ball. It's tight windows,
is what That's what I'm hearing.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
Yeah, I mean, listen, he's never wanted to throw the
ball to the tight windows. All the stuff coming out
is interesting to me because it's not really new, right,
It's none of this stuff new. This is the stuff
that has played this offense the passing game for a minute,

(12:06):
like just to give you the brief history if you
want to just touch on it, because I know it's
a big story during the week nationally too. Look, Jalen
takes over for Wentz. Nobody really thought that. Everybody thought
Wentz was gonna be a franchise quarterback. Howie drafts Jalen.
Jalen comes in and gave new energy to the offense

(12:27):
and they built it around Shane Stike and he's doing
a great job in Indianapolis. Was the OC in twenty
two when they made the Super Bowl against the Chiefs
and lost, and Jalen played terrific. The offense was RPO based,
all right. They it really functioned at a high level.
He's a great runner, man, He's just a great great

(12:47):
When he's in the run game, it matters, right, like
you know, just really hurts defenses. And when he was
in the run game. The other thing that really helped
the pass game too, because the windows were there, guys
were wide open. The offense really, uh, really run at
a high level. The following year, they had issues, right

(13:11):
They they started off ten and one and then they
fell off the planet. They got beat badly in the
playoffs by Tampa Bay. Todd Bowles was the guy who
had with the Jalen Uh. He gave Jalen fits with
his blitzes, and he figured out the RPO game. A

(13:33):
lot of defenses were able to kind of adjust and
they kind of took away that aspect of it and
forced Jalen to throw the ball. He struggled the whole thing.
Fast forward to last year. They come out and they're
gonna throw. They're gonna be a throwing team. Uh, they
had Saquan, but they're you know, they're gonna throw it.
And and it's a disaster, right. They they're two and two.

(13:56):
They're struggling and they go to a BI and they
decide Syrian is gonna get fired. They just, yeah, he
was ready to get They were ready to pull the
plug on him. Last year at the bye week in
Week five, they they have issues. They all right, what
are we? We're a downhill run team, right, So they

(14:17):
turned they turned the offense over to Saquon. You know,
Jalen's still involved in the run game a little bit
a lot, and you know, they become this run heavy
team and it works right, Like you know, their defense
gets fixed and uh Fangio's there last year and and
they couple of players come in, Cooper dejen Is gets

(14:38):
healthy and and the next thing you know, Jalen Carter
is a beast and their defense is great and they
win the Super Bowl this year. It's kind of similar
like where they're struggling on offense. The problem is Saquon
can't bail them out because the O line has played
is really banged up. Now Lane Johnson is out with

(14:59):
the it's Frank is not good. Yeah, their interior is
been bagged up. They play a lot of football's a
great unit, but it's it's beat up. So they can't
get a lot done in the run game. So now
you know, it's back to Jalen being in consistent as
a thrower. Aj every week a j Brown every week
is is upset and you know they're talking about the

(15:22):
talking about the offense and Jalen and Jalen doesn't want
to run the ball and Jalen doesn't want to run plays.
That's during the week there's a new OC and Kevin Petullo.
Everybody blames Patullo because he's the easy out as the
as the offensive coordinator. They run. They're really a basic offense.
You go back and look with what they ran Sunday

(15:44):
against the Lions. I mean it's elementary. I run that
stuff in seventh grade with seventh grade kids. So but
there's this talk about pre snap and Jalen struggling pre
snap and all.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
This talk, and it's all this consternation.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
But yet they're eight and two and their defense is great,
and they are going to win.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
They're going to have the one seed in the NFC. Yeah,
it's a it's an interesting spot to be in because
you know, when expectations are as high as they as
they are for a team like that, you know, you
get judge a little differently than you know the other teams, right,
and you know what happened last year was sort of
so so a magical on offense. Right, You're able to

(16:26):
dominate every single game. The run game, as you mentioned,
was so good that it didn't matter if it's play
good or bad, or didn't throw the ball in time
or anythings that people are kind of upset with them
now because you just you figured out what sequon Barkley, like,
what it Matt, we just sek won just make the
plays for us. You don't have that this season, So
now more goes on on Jalen Hurts and you look again,

(16:46):
the the diva wide receiver stuff is nothing new. I mean,
this is this, this is this is football. So what happens.
But it's a lot of noise for a team that's
really good. That's the thing that's so surprising because you
just don't get this from teams are eight and two. Right,
most of the time when we're talking about this, it's
it's sort of the opposite, Right, teams are two and

(17:07):
eight are the ones that we spend a lot of
our focus on that people are upsets not not running
the way it should.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
Yeah, the the and and and look, the offense has
been like this because when Jalen's a part of the
run game, like, he's an interesting quarterback because he's got
a winning gene.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
Right, he's wins games man, he's certainly and he does
to turn the ball over.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
And in Syrianne is the same way, which is you
look at his record and it's like Lombardi, you know,
it's it's crazy, like his record over four years, his record.

Speaker 3 (17:44):
Is I think some of the best he said, some
of the best results as a coach in history through whatever.
How long he's coached four years now, Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
It's it's and and jeff I mean that was real
last year, like they were about to fire him.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
I remember I had, I went back and I was
I tried to lead all my all my uh all
my fire Syriani things. That's after week four.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Yeah no, well listen, Jeffrey Lori, Howry Roseman talked about it.
I know that for a fact, they talked about it.
They were you know, when when when we do it?
If it continues to spiral out of control? But you know,
I mean listen, you knows what's that?

Speaker 3 (18:30):
And then then Eatles didn't lose again for months. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
Yeah, but the but the interesting thing is is that
Sirianne as a high EQ. His teams are buttoned up.
The players love him, and you know, he's not the
offensive doctor. Like he's not an X and O guy, right,
He's not going to be Shanahan McVeagh. He's not going
to fix the like the offense is struggling and he's

(18:54):
not there. And if he can't fix it, right, he's
not that X and O guy that could fix the
eye offense. He gave up play calling early to Shane Steichen,
but no matter what, all the stuff that we talk about,
they just win. They don't turn the ball over. They're
extraordinarily boring on offense.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
They don't.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
And that's the thing that's wild about football is if
you don't turn the ball over, you normally win.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
It's crazy. Yeah, yeah, it's uh and Eagles, but don't
beat themselves, which is what the Chiefs are doing. Like crazy.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
Now, all right, well we got we got lots to
get to, so obviously, well, uh, we'll tak a lot
of college football and dive deeper into the A into
the Oregon SC game. But there's a couple s os
is going out in Buffalo? Is it time to panic?
In Kansas City? Is it time to panic in Detroit?

(20:00):
Is it time to panic? We'll talk all about it,
fell it's just getting started on Fox Sport.

Speaker 4 (20:07):
Hey, we're Covino and Rich Fox Sports Radio every day
five to seven pm Eastern.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
But here's the thing. We never have enough time to
get to everything we want to get to.

Speaker 4 (20:16):
And that's why we have a brand new podcast called
over Promised. You see, we're having so much fun in
our two hour show. We never get to everything honestly,
because this guy is over promising things we never have
time for.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
Yeah, you blubber.

Speaker 5 (20:29):
Liam and me.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
Well, you know what it's called over promise.

Speaker 4 (20:32):
You should be good at it because you've been over
promising women for years. Well, it's a Cavino and Rich
after show, and we want you to be a part
of it. We're gonna be talking sports, of course, but
we're also gonna talk life and relationships. And if Rich

enough time, it will continue on our after show called
over Promised. Well, if you don't get enough Covino and Rich,
make sure you check out over Promised and also Uncensored,

(20:53):
by the way, so maybe we'll go at it even.

Speaker 5 (20:55):
A little harder.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
It's gonna be the best after show podcast of all time.
There you go.

Speaker 4 (21:00):

Welcome back fellas, Jeff Schwartz, Anthony Gargano, as we convene
each week Fox Sports Radio Studios. Hey, couple things, be
sure to subscribe to Fox Sports Radio's YouTube channel. All right,

(21:54):
hit that thumbs up icon, comment away, let us know
what takes you like with those you don't like, search
Fi Sports Radio on YouTube and subscribe. All right, paddic
in the streets of Buffalo after Thursday night, Will Anderson,
mister Anderson is unleashed on Josh Allen Man without key

(22:19):
on Coleman. They just have nothing. It's unbelievable, I think
with they have nothing. I agree, listen, I agree, but
it's even more pronounced when he's when he's you know, suspended.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
Yeah. So the Bills have a lot of the same
issues to Kansas City had the last couple of years
where you know, good offensive line of the Bills offense
line is better. They have a better run game with
with James Cook. They don't have weapons, and it really
shows itself, you know, in a tough way, uh, you know,
just the inability to have a functional offense because no

(22:55):
one's getting open and then Josh Allen tries to do
too much and ends up being you know, turnover worthy
plays and just a little bit. You know, when he
has to score six times against the Patriots, it is
probably not where you want to be. And then they
can't stop the run. Man, I mean, they're a siff
on defense. They Houston, who's not good on offense, has

(23:16):
destroyed that. And what he marks is I think what
he marks is one of those guys that we're gonna
We're gonna find out a couple of years like, oh,
this kid's pretty good. Where do you come from? Both
late late lay round pick from USC like, I think
that that's possible, but right now, you know, still you
shouldn't be dicing you up. And the Bills just had
no recourse for any of it. And then of course,

(23:36):
you know, look, the Texans defensive line is one of
the best in the sport. So I'm not surprised on
or of how they rush the passer. I'm just surprised
on how they how often they got home right and
sacked Josh. I hit Josh Allen. It made life really
difficult for Josh Allen. And look, there's no like solution.
I mean, the solution for Buffalo is is you need
better players at wide receiver, which they're not gonna get

(23:57):
right now. There's no there's no mid season solution to
the run games. You need to run defense. You're not
just gonna like there's no one off the street to
pick up. There's just no there's there's just so these
are problems that they're gonna have to figure out. Uh,
And I'm not sure there's a figuring out again. I'm
not even sure that like New England is better than them,

(24:18):
but New England has an easier schedule, they're playing better
right now. And Buffalo and Kansas City are both not
go to be division winners this season, which is kind
of wild to think. Well, that's the thing that's wild.
I mean, it's funny.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
Our buddies listening Tasty cake Dom is like, could you
imagine if the Bills and Chiefs don't make the playoffs?

Speaker 3 (24:41):
Hey?

Speaker 2 (24:41):
I like I they're both. I think buff will make
the playoffs, but they're not gonna.

Speaker 3 (24:47):
I don't. I'm bess sure why Kansas City? I don't know.

Speaker 2 (24:50):
Man, Now, dude, we'll get to all right, we'll get
to Well, let's stay let's stay with Buffalo for a
second because I want to finish this.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
Here's their schedule. All right, so you have hold on.
I just have it. I want to go through it
with you because the problem is.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Going to be because I think you make the playoffs,
but what happens after that is the is the issue.
So you got the Steelers next week at Pittsburgh.

Speaker 3 (25:31):
I think you win that game. Agreed. Probably. Yeah, I
would imagine that we still can see Rogers, but I'm
not worried about that.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
I don't think either. Why I think you win. Now
you got Cincinnati at home. Their defense is so bad
even if Burrow's back, so he should be back this week.
But even Burrow back, you gotta your Outfitch gotta cook
that defense.

Speaker 3 (25:56):
Agreed.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
Then you got the rematch against the to say you
lose that game, right, You're now, uh, you're two and
one during this stretch.

Speaker 3 (26:08):
You're at Cleveland, You're gonna win that game.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
Home Eagles, You're probably gonna win that game and your
home Jets.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
So you got a bunch of winnable games left. Yes,
you need to get probably ten wins to feel comfortable.
They also have the tie breaker, by the way, against
Kansas City for wild card berth, which is what's talk
about the twos a second, which is important, right to
have the tiebreaker against the team you're competing with for that,
if you know, if you beat the Steelers, you have

(26:40):
a tie breaker against Pittsburgh, right obviously, So like the
TI ring situation, is looks beneficial for them if they
end up, you know, if it end up needing, needing that, Yeah,
you're you're gonna be. I think you get to eleven,
eleven gets you in. Eleven gets you in. I would
I would feel comfortable if you get to eleven.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
Yeah, yeah, I Now again, there are two things that
really kill you. I don't know how far you can
go if you can't stop to run and you got
no one to throw it to.

Speaker 3 (27:16):
Yeah, look, the first thing you have to do is
actually just get in, right and once you're in then
you can figure out the issues. But yes, they're not
complete enough I think to do much damage in the
postseason because they can't get a stop on defense. If
you can't get a stop on defense, it's just really
difficult to just to generally speaking, to run to have
a succesful team if you can't rely on any sort
of stop at anytime.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
Yeah, yeah, I mean, I mean, you look at them
and you go. They were able to run like Houston
was able to run the ball, and a little play
action just killed them right like you killed them like
Davis Smills. Did you see that the end of the

(28:01):
first half, How easily you went down the field twice?

Speaker 3 (28:05):
Yep, after the kickoff return. Not good if you're if
you're you know so if you're the Bills like you
have to be able to give a little bit of resistance. Oay,
especially to Davis Mills. Out of all it was like
day stroudled him up. It was Davis Mills, right and badly.
I mean it was it was bad.

Speaker 6 (28:25):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (28:25):
All right?

Speaker 2 (28:27):
Is it time to pack at Kansas City and Savvy
Alarm at five and five?

Speaker 3 (28:33):
Here lies the chief schedule.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
You got the cults in a huge show down at
Rahead on Sunday. I don't care what anybody says. I
think Kansas City destroys the cults.

Speaker 3 (28:47):
Okay, you'd all agree. So do you want to do
this now or do you want to do any to
do an update? First? I have a I have a
lot of thoughts about can'das City? Yeah? Do it now?
No update? We got five minutes for this segment, all right,
So here's the thing about Kansas City. The thing that

(29:08):
their superpower for all these years, okay, was their ability
to not lose games. All right, I know that sounds
kind of silly to say, but what they did best
was they won the end of game in critical situations.
And sometimes by winning them, it was they just didn't

(29:29):
screw them up, right, the other team they played, it's
the Eagle, right. They won every end of game situation
that you could win, okay, And they're not doing that
this season because analytically, man, they're they're top ten in defense. Offense,
Like their offense right now is performing better than it

(29:51):
has in the last in many years, like it's I
don't know how many year. But like their their score,
their score, they're ending drives with points and nearly fifty percent,
which is like a huge number. Like they're they're all
their numbers are good, except they're not winning the games
because it's moments like you allow a third and fifteen

(30:12):
completion to bo Nix, you allow a third and fifteen
run to Justin Herbert, it's first, it's first and ten
tie at nineteen four minutes left in that Denver game.
Every other year, even when they weren't good on offense,
you'd be like, Yep, she's gonna are gonna fish just
one up. Couldn't do it right, went three and I
went backwards, got sacked. They're just not winning these moments.

(30:36):
They're special teams. The penalties are atrocious. They every week
a penalty on penalty on penalty, miss field goals, miss pats, poor,
poor coverage, the little things that they'd done so well,
they're not doing well. And I don't know if they
can just turn it on and start doing it well.

(30:57):
And we in their eleventh game. Now, dude, you're not
overstating this a little bit. They played Buffalo like that
was a good we all want. We watched the Buffalo
games go five against current playoff teams right now, there,
they're not being anyone good.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
Well, first of all, they didn't have in the first
they lost. They lost the first two games of the
season in which they didn't have their weapons. Agreed, Yeah,
but they lost twenty to seventeen, twenty seven, twenty one.

Speaker 3 (31:26):
What's that they lost because they're undisciplined.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
Well, they didn't lose the first two games because they
were on disciplined, and the lost first two games because
they had nobody to They scored seventeen points against.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
Yeah, but but but Chris Jones, like you know that
that's third and fifteen against against. You know, he didn't
get it. He was out of his rush lane and
Herbert ran for the first down. And it's not me,
but it was weak wand in Brazil. Right. But these
are my point that these are things they used to
do really well. Like this is not just used to
not be a problem of theirs, and now it is
a problem of theirs.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
I disagree. I think you're making too much of it.
I know you're a chief thing and you're you're disgruntled
right now.

Speaker 3 (32:02):
I just don't know. I don't know what what Why
is it gonna be better moving forward? Like you bringing
up a play in week one against Brazil? Okay, what
about fourteen last week Aainst Denver when they were that's
the thing. You're gonna have stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (32:19):
But my point, like I don't see foundation like cracks
that why that you can't fix it?

Speaker 3 (32:27):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
I think they beat Indianapolis, then you got at Dallas,
then you got Home Texans, then you got Home Chargers
that are limpid. Then you're at Tennessee. Then you get
the rematch against Denver, and then you're at the Raiders.
I see a lot of wins.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
Well, they're gonna beat the Titans, They're gonna beat the Raiders,
They're probably gonna beat They're gonna beat the Chargers probably.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Yeah, I would think dead. No, we've got no Joe All,
you got no running game dead. Uh.

Speaker 3 (33:01):
The other ones I'm not. I'm not certain of. I
don't know why you would think that there are certain
wins right now, the way they're playing, they haven't.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
I'm telling you I feel it. But whatever I mean.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
I although they're gonna be Denver because I had to
be Denver, run away.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
Denver defense is legitimate. What's gonna happen the play I
saw them shut down the Eagles. What's gonna happen is
what when? When when they play the Texans defense?

Speaker 6 (33:27):
And that that.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
Well that came in Kansas City too, and and I
don't know, you know, I'll tell you one thing. I
don't think Davis Mills is going up and down the
field against whether strouds back or not, I don't think
they're going to be either of them are going up
and down the field against against Kansas City.

Speaker 3 (33:48):
I also think that you know, there there needs to
be just some I think the offensive play calling it times,
it's a tad stale, and I'm curious to see, like
if Andy Reid makes some of those changes that have
to be made to get the offense back on track.

(34:09):
And it's just it's as simple as they just got
to be less predictable. They're at a point now where
they just they're very predictable to teams, and I'm that's
just gotta it's it's got to stop. And I wonder
if it's gonna change. I mean the offense is is
stale right now, just is And I mean, you know

(34:33):
this last drive, the one I mentioned this, you know,
the one with with four minutes left. It's nineteen nineteen.
It's second and ten. They're in thirteen personnel, so one
running back, three tight ends, one wide receiver, and Ray
sheet Rice is lined up at wide receiver, sue and
running back. Is that is that really the offense? That's

(34:53):
a that's the best playof on second and ten and
like a must score drive to win the game like
stuff like that. This year, You're like, what are we doing?
Like those are things I just the Chiefs are just
doing weird things. I'm just like, can you call the
better place where you're wide receiver is actually a wide
receiver and you're running back is actually a running back? Like, yeah,

(35:14):
I do figur're discount how good Dever's defense is. They're different.
It's it's it's fantastic. I'm not I'm fully in agreement
with with how good they are, but there were plays
to be made and then Mahomes is pressing right like
that red zone turnover was just a troch. Just you
can't have those. So look, I get what we've seen

(35:35):
from Kansas City. Uh but I I don't know why
it's any different than what we've seen the last you know,
all these all these weeks. I hope it is. I
hope they played better this weekend, but they're just not
playing again. I thought they lost two tough games. I mean,
like it's part of it. Like I got I can't
lump the last two weeks with the first two weeks
of the season. They were a different team. There was

(35:57):
no rice the first two weeks of the season. First
two weeks of the season, it's so long ago. The
last two weeks you played two good teams, all right,
you lost, You're on the road. You lost, and they
have no tiebreakers for the wildcard, which is kind of
hurt them. We'll go over they don't have They're they're

(36:17):
out against uh Buffalo and Jacksonville. They don't. They lost
the tiebreaker to both those. I looked at Jackson. I
look at that Jacksonville team. I think they lose to
Arizona this weekend. But that's not I mean, I don't
I don't see the jackson I don't leave jack But
I think that's worth pointing out that they lost tiebreaker,
which is kind of We'll get to it. You sound
like you are just in a bad way. I think

(36:40):
some of the Chis are playing very well right now.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
Okay, well, of those two tough games, didn't get blown out.
We gotta we gotta look at the Lions too, because
the alarm is sounding in Detroit as well. All across
the NFL, alarms are being sounded. We're the fellas. Jeff Schwartz. Oh,

(37:03):
he's got one eye on the Trojans. I've Anthony, I
got a fellas right here.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
Fox don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (37:27):
Ah, welcome back, Hey for the best pregame show every weekend.

(37:48):
to the second injury news. Tune in the Countdown and
the Kickoff presented by bet MGM every Saturday and Sunday
morning right here on Fox Sports Radio in the iHeart
Radio app. All right, so, uh, let's get to Detroit
because we saw him Sunday night. The two things, One,
Laporta is out for the season. Dan Campbell said it yesterday,

(38:11):
had a procedure on his back and will be out
for the season, which is a huge loss.

Speaker 3 (38:17):
Such a weapon.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
He completes the arsenal when you when you got Gibbs
and you got Save Brown and Williams. The completion of
the arsenal is Laporta and they it getst a really
good Eagles defense.

Speaker 3 (38:33):
They missed him last week. Look, a tight end is
just so valuable, man. They're they're irreplaceable, and it's just
like because you can't guard them, Like, how do you
put a linebacker on too slow? Put a safety on him,
you know, to to uh too small? You run the
ball that put the safety in the game, right if
they changed the personnel. It's just it's just there's there's

(38:57):
it's such a mismatch and now miss mismatch sort of
slurring those words there. It just it makes it really
really hard without a tight end like that in your lineup.
And so I think we're seeing too that you know
Ben Johnson being gone right now the Bears coach, and

(39:19):
then you know, the Bears offense obviously is getting better,
and Allion's office is getting like ten worse right without
him there. And those two things are I think are
really making it difficult for the Lions to see reporters
out you've been beat up with a little bit of
the offensive line. And then also our great play caller

(39:40):
is not there. But Campbell deserves credit, Like the offense
at times looks really good. The problem is it's been
very consistent this season where you've had you've had good
good on the road though.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
Right, like isn't that where it usually is it consistent?
For Detroit like they lost to Kansas City?

Speaker 3 (39:57):
Yah, But golf has sort of gone over the the
road thing where he was played well when it's not
been in the dome. So yeah, but I mean, look
every week you don't know, Yeah, I don't. I don't
trust him as much, but his numbers are actually not
as bad as they used to. Every time I watch
you out, it gets a good defense out of the dome.

(40:19):
He melts. He melted the Sunday night. Yeah, he just
just melted the puddle. Look, golf is good when things
are good. He's bad when it's bad. But they built
the team around him where the bad is not that bad. Right,
You've good offensive line, get all these weapons of the
row too, say, insulated him when things don't go as well,
when Laporta's not there and your old line is a

(40:39):
little beat up, it makes a difference for him. He
is gonna he is affected by that. I agree there,
I agree with that, yeah part of it.

Speaker 2 (40:47):
Yeah, I mean, geez, I don't think he can win
in Philadelphia in a rematch, No, in in January. I know.

Speaker 3 (40:56):
To me, the NFC Super Bowl teams are the Rams
of the Eagles. So yeah, I'm with you there, Yeah. Yeah,
And again I like Detroit a lot man, I do.
I like them a lot, but they have to have
home field. In my eyes, that's the only way. And
without report makes it tougher. I mean, you'll get a
healthier on defense. They played the Eagles tough. They really did.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
Put again, it comes down to can golf make a
play and I outside against that defense. Ah, all right,
big al We're coming out next fellas own Fox. That's

(42:07):

Speaker 3 (42:10):
All right, I got my man is just over the
moon today.

Speaker 2 (42:15):
Because it's not a great card as far as matchups
are concerned in college, just don't forget.

Speaker 3 (42:22):
This is it, baby.

Speaker 2 (42:24):
This is the last great Saturday before next weekend and
rivalry weekend. But there is one great matchup that's for sure.
It is sc and Oregon, and my man is excited.
Eight and two Trojans visit the nine and one Ducks

(42:46):
three thirty Eastern, twelve thirty Pacific, and my man is
all fired up today.

Speaker 3 (42:53):
I cannot wait. Look, I think I know the discussion
about college wible playoff teams and where they rank is
silly and it's a waste of time to make a
lot of arguments because no one ever changes their mind.
But you know, a lot of people seem to think

(43:13):
Orgon is not very good because quote uquote they have
no rate to wins. And I would make the case
that we have plenty of ranked wins. When you play
a team does count. And that's how interesting, right, Like
if you were to say, ex, coach, right, is one
in one against top twenty five teams. You use that

(43:34):
record of when they played that team, Right, That's how
it works. They don't go at the end of season
and look at them and be like, oh, well, no,
we're adding a rate to win. We're taking away a
ranked to win. No, just when you played them, that
that's their record over time. Enough happens in the sport
where you know, if a coach is really good against
top twenty five teams end up being bad late in
the season eventually sort of even itself out over the years. Right,

(43:57):
But for some reason college football fans and you know,
they not the committee, but the argument is always like, well,
they have no ranked wins, right, Well, I mean, what
what happens next week if if if I was ranked again? Okay,
us he is ranked No. Two ranked wins just just
a week later. Like it's just dumb, Like they'd be like,
no right now, two ranked wins? I know right now,

(44:18):
one the do It's it's so silly, right They use
advanced numbers that use strength of w record that you
strength to schedule, all these things to determine this stuff.
So for organ today, I think it's a big game
because I think people still for some reason don't think
that Organ's very good number one pass defense in the country,
and people point to the offense as organists played it.
Certainly true, organists not play good offenses. But we've mentioned

(44:40):
all the time, if you're good at something, you should
be good against that something against bad teams, right, like,
like that's how you first, that's how you show it, right, Like,
against a bad team, we're gonna not let them pass
the football right now. Organs played two teams in the
top forty in passing rotcers, believe it or not, is
actually a really good passing team. They had Rockers seventy
nine yards passing sevent nine yards and people point to

(45:01):
Indiana and say, whoa Indiana for two fifteen? If you
usc throws for two fifteen to day, I feel pretty
good about organ chances to win the game by double digits. Yeah, so,
like so, I think I'm just excited for people to
watch improve. You know, I'm tired of talking points, man,
I'm just tired of it.

Speaker 2 (45:18):
Yeah, I gotta say this, and I agree so much
with the idea of not looking at the game for
when it was like Penn State at that moment in
time was a very good tough team.

Speaker 3 (45:36):
They weren't they. In fact, they still have the bones
of a of a tough team.

Speaker 2 (45:40):
They showed it last couple of weeks, but at that
point in time they were a legitimate contender, which didn't
and it just so happened that that game really just
kind of pushed them off the rails. It affected them
deeply that the coach had a thing with losing big games.

Speaker 3 (46:01):
It was a white out. I mean you want to
talk about I was pressed with Oregon. It was off
a by It was this was like the game that
like they had circled for for the calendar, came out
like this is our this is this is the game
that we have to win to prove that we are
a championship caliber team. Like their entire preseason I bet

(46:22):
went into preparing for that game, right to like, and
so we broke the I mean, they're they're coaches now
at Virginia Tech. It's broken they were and uh now,
my my thing about this, this is what you're saying
right Like at the time, you you can say Oregon
had a ranked win against Penn State, but they're not

(46:42):
as good now, Like those things are all true, right,
But to discredit anyone, by the way, for having a
ranked win because a team is different six weeks later,
to me, is not the spirit of how we ever
talk about college football, and it takes away from the
snapshot of that week.

Speaker 2 (46:59):
Yeah, yes, yes, I I I It's funny because I
remember being like supremely impressed. I love the coach too,
Like I know you love the coach. I mean, just
as a college football fan, I love the coach. I
just I love the spirit. I love it fantastic. I mean,
he's just to Key's being terrific. But I remember being

(47:22):
really impressed with that win because they dominated the game
and then they had giving up the lead and you
go to overtime and they were able to you know,
stop in overtime. Like it was a great I just
thought it was a great game they played. Man, I
was really impressed. That was a tough game, tough conditions

(47:45):
in a white out, and I just thought that was great.
And look, Indiana is nasty. I think Indiana is really
really good. I can't play about that game. It's okay.

Speaker 3 (47:54):
That game feels like the outlier first season, by the way,
especially offensively. I don't know what that was. I just
you know, I'm you've been working with me now for
a while. I'm a big process guy, maybe more than
results right at times, and and like I just didn't
like the process by which Oregan designed their offense against Indiana.
This isn't weird. And of all the games we played
this season, that was the one that was like what
do we what do we do? What is this offense?

(48:16):
What are we doing that offense? It made no I
mean we we looked more confident offense at Iowa with
no wide receivers that we did against Indiana at home. Yeah,
it just it made no sense to me. Accurred to
Indiana of course, because they made it difficult for organ
But you know, if we win today, we're gonna say
it thing, Oh, USC is not as good as we thought.
Blah blah. You know, of course, right the SEC, if
they would when the SC loses a game right in

(48:38):
conference is because their conference is so much better than
all the other conferences. When you know, when when when
when when the Big Ten or the Big twelve lose
the conference team it's got that conference sticks. I'm just
kind of tired. I'm just kind of tired of it.
I'm just tired of like all that. The way we
talk about you know, the these conference, the Big Ten
has won three straight championships, right like like it like

(48:59):
it's it's the two stort championships. It's like a good conference.
Like we need to start respecting the Big Ten, talk
about them the same way we talk about the SEC. Yeah, yeah,
probably has the champion this year. You know, Georgia is
playing really well. I think I would I put money
on really three teams right now Indiana, Ohio State and

(49:20):
Georgia to win the championship. Do you keep carting my
boys out? Who's your boys? Irish? I don't think they're
good enough yet, but I do. I mean, we argued
about it. We've been arguing about it last couple of weeks.
I mean, they haven't I haven't played anybody. The first
time they playing one will be in the playoffs, which
will be I mean, I get. I just think that

(49:43):
that team, I like, the way to quarterback has come on.
They the two best backs in the in the country.
I like their I love their defense. I think they're good.
I think they've out Well here's here, here's a question,
though them are my who you put in? Dude?

Speaker 2 (50:03):
I would I can't go week one because it's just
like it's just like the games. It's like the Chiefs
Chargers game, like I throw that out. So it's week one.
So here's the here's the hard part.

Speaker 3 (50:15):
Okay, I am generally in agreement with you for those
who So Miami and and not Dame were going to
finish both probably ten and two, and they played in
Week one and Miami won by three. Now Notre Dame
was breaking a new quarterback, they had some young piece
in the offensive line, like they were in a they
were in a different place than Miami was in that game,
lost by three on the road, been in a great comeback.

(50:36):
Miami had a game with a field goal and they
won by three. So a couple of things I think
are absolutely true here. One is that they played today.
I would take nore Dame to win. Okay, I think
wood wind in that game that they played today, and
I think that we do. We value had to have
matchups early in the season in college football way too much, right,
because teams change a lot in college football, right, I

(50:57):
mean maybe more in the NFL because kids mature, right,
and then they got playing time, and they just they're
much better week thirteen they are Week one. However, However,
if you don't count that game, man, why would anyone
play those games? What's the point of playing? Like, if
you don't count that game as a tiebreaker, why would
no name Miami ever play it again in the preseason
or out of conference? I don't It makes no sense

(51:19):
because the point of that game is it is a
tiebreaker when it comes to being a playoff team. Yeah,
I can't. So you're gonna tell me Notre Dame doesn't
get in. I mean, both Miami and not Dame should
be in. But my point is that it's one or
the other. If you don't let Notre Dame in over.
I hear you, I hear you. I just you know

(51:41):
you Miami an over over name. You're invalidating ever playing
those games now. I hear you, and that to me
is hard to me. I think you your name is better.
I think, I mean, absolutely better today than they were
week one. They played again today, I would take you
Do Dame to win that game. Look, Miami goes to
Virginia Tech today. The way they play sometimes, I'm I'm
not quite certain they put them. They play pit next week,
I'm not quite certain they're gonna win the next two games.

(52:03):
But the IRUs are gonna win whether they got they
got two bombs right the next couple of weeks.

Speaker 7 (52:07):
So you got Syracuse today, Syracuse and Stanford, right, yeah, yeah,
they're gonna smoke Stanford. Well Stanford's how about how about
patn or Doozy Pitt's head coach, who they know even
played last week saying before the game, like I care
if we.

Speaker 3 (52:25):
Win or not. I'm not important buddy. Uh, it's a
great message to send your team and the game. I mean,
you were in the top twenty five. I understand that
didn't matter for the AEC Championship, absolutely didn't matter. But
the idea that that's hard. I could imagine a coach
like Dan Lanny said that, I would be or he

(52:46):
would never say that. He would never say that, so
I I couldn't believe he said that. And and so yeah,
I'm curious what the committee does with with no name
in Miami. But Orger has to win out and can we, uh,
can we do something as a college football world, please?
And can we just like not mention Lane Kiffin's name

(53:07):
for like a week until he figures out where he's going.
I'm I'm just I'm tired of this story. I I
just do not care. And maybe I don't care because
I'm not all affected by it. But Lane Kiffer's a
coach of Old Miss. He's not gonna be Old Miss
next season. He's gonna be a Florida or LSU. And
like every eight hours, it's like this, a new plane
is flying from Baton Rouge to Oxford, Mississippi, and then

(53:31):
an hour later the Florida plane brought his family back
to Florida, and then it's just like, dude, Lane Kiffin
has won nothing in his career. I get you. I
think he's a coach, but this is a lot, isn't all.
I imagine if you're an oldest football player, you're gonna
be a playoff team, I know, and you're coaching. I'm

(53:54):
fine with him. I'm fine with him leaving that. That's
a sport. If he wants to go to Florida, Lsu,
I get it. Those are they want hips there. It
seems like Lsu is getting There's a report late last
night he's geting ninety million dollars a year. They're increasing
his roster, know his roster and staff budget. The twenty
five million like great, But the brazenness and the openness
of this makes it. It makes it gross. Man like,

(54:16):
just do this quietly, other than all the other coach
are doing it quietly. Do you not think that the
Penn State's interviewing coaches. I know coaches will be interviewed
right now, everybody's interviewed. I'm a buddy whos got interviewed
three times, three times by a school in the last month.
It's happening everywhere, but they're doing it quietly, and Langkiff
is doing it in public and making a mockery of

(54:36):
of his of his current players. Man, it meant to
be a player, old miss right now and everything. I
know you're ed. I hear yeah, coach is acting like this. Yeah,
you don't like it. I just don't like it, you
know what.

Speaker 2 (54:47):
The other problem to is is that all this stuff
has to happen like the stuff needs the calendar.

Speaker 3 (54:54):
The calendar is a problem. They need to push back
the portal and they have to. Man, it's just just
because commitment day is like mid December now. For for
high school athletes, the first commitment day there's one in
February obviously, and so if they push it all back
to February, it would make this happen, you know, not
as quickly if they push the The thing about the portal, though,

(55:16):
here's a hard part, is that, believe it or not,
these kids do still go to school and they have
to transfer in between semesters. So that's why the portal
has to be now unless you wait till the spring semester.
I guess to do so. But again, like if you're
a semester school. You know, it doesn't make sense to
do like, that's why the portal has to be done now, right.

(55:38):
You have to do it during winter break because you
can get kids into school and have them start their
classes on time, right, Like, but I know that, I
know that it's a joke. You might not. Let's not.

Speaker 2 (55:52):
If we're going to be consistent about one thing, let's
be consistent about Hey, THEO both supersedes everything. Of course,
So if that's the case, that means they're gonna start
later and we'll just have to figure it out like that.

Speaker 3 (56:10):
I agree that, but there's a lot of campuses that
will not put up with that though that that don't
are not football forward. You know, Presidents are not football forward.
We might disagree with with that idea because football funds
a lot at the school, but there are a lot
of places that that I don't think would be very
open right now. But if you're football players do their
own thing and show up six weeks late to no,

(56:31):
I can't listen.

Speaker 2 (56:32):
I get it in a real world where education matters
and it's college football, Like, I'm all for that, but
this is we've already jumped the shark, right, Like, we've
already polluted the waters, so like why why we now?
It just throws off everything, like it throws it all off.

(56:54):
So we already sold the soul. So if you already
sold your soul, like they go in the way and
we're around it, I mean, we push them into the summer.
I don't know what you do, but figure it out,
like you can. You could work with that end of it.
This part of it for the roster and the coaches
just mess up the whole system.

Speaker 3 (57:17):
It does, and it makes it gross because look, we're
gonna we're gonna get to next So next weekend Thanksgiving,
there's gonna be college football Friday, Saturday Sunday, right, like
I think even the egg bowls Friday between Old Miss
Mississippi State, we're gonna get. I mean the fifteen tweets,

(57:39):
announcements of coaches moving probably before a lot of times
what happens is too it's kind of gross. Like ten
minutes before kickoff, someone tweets out like before like let's
say it's it's like Kiffin before the egg Bowl. I
think they put egg Bowl Friday night, like ten minutes beforehand,
we're gonna get a tweet saying you know, link Kiffin
decided to take the Florida job or LSU job and

(58:00):
gona announce it like during the game. It's so gross
how they do that, but that's what it is. And
I I only came by the ways going to LSU,
and it's words gonna end up and they're paying a
lot of money to do that. I think he was
going to Florida and then LSU was like, here's all
the money in the world. Uh, and you get a
part of our state and you get a real estate whatnot.
And now you're now you're you're you're a head coach.

(58:21):
So a lot of pressure mends. Gotta gotta win immediately
right now, on the prediction of markets, he's seventy five
chance to go to h to LSU. Then the domino start,
right because then obviously hire a coach at Florida, got
higher coach at Penn State. Penn State's pretty interesting. I
don't know who the right coach is going to be there.
I think there's some interesting names that are being floated around.

(58:43):
I'm kind of curious if that ends up happening, and
curiously what it's all ends up right now? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
the favorite right now, which I think is the right
call for Penn State. Is is chesty? I think Chanzy
is gonna be the coach there. What do you think
p a guy? Uh, I heard his name. I don't

(59:10):
think it's him. But there's one other guy that is
kind of a dark horse that I I'm not allowed.
I don't think I'm allowed to say. I know that's terrible. Sorry,
but because I knew anybody of mine couldn't say it
on the radio yesterday, So I know, I very interesting name.
It's it's it's out at school out West, not Lincoln
Riley by the way. Uh, school out West, not Organ,
not Lincoln Riley.

Speaker 2 (59:30):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (59:30):
That is interesting bit interviewing possibly for that job. Yeah, yeah,
it's an interesting uh situation. I love Alco. I figure
al Co is a terrific coach. Uh, he's dude, he's awesome.
Out of my podcast a couple weeks ago. I Uh,
I think he's great. But I mean he's got things

(59:52):
rolling out, man, I don't know why he would go Listen.
I agree, you know, I'm with you. I mean, it's
such a different sport. Would you have thought five years
ago that people would say no to Penn State you'd
be like, go chance And it's just a different sport now, man,
it's just so different that you can you know, if
you get that support financially, which you're getting, which ulcle

(01:00:15):
is getting at A and M, which Dan Lannon is getting,
an organ which you're getting at these schools, like you
don't you don't leave you know again, as much as
I love Orgon, if Penn State were to come calling
five years ago or Florida LSU, you leave Oregon in
a heartbeat. Yeah and yeah now not like that now. Now,
don't like that anymore because Danlon has got the team
he wants and the support financially is there for the success.

(01:00:37):
And you see too, when coaches are being hired, were
they being hired with They're being hired with a pool
of money. Like again, the announcement for for LSU last night, Well,
the rumors is that he's saying twenty five million dollars
a year for staff and for recruiting, Like that's that's
now part of the announcement for these coaches being hired.

Speaker 2 (01:00:57):
Oh yeah, yeah, I mean look at Signetti right in Indiana.
I mean the fact that that he stays like he
had all the money in the world. Indiana came in,
and they came in and they backed the trunk off.

Speaker 3 (01:01:10):
So okay, So I heard an interesting theory the other
day about this, and actually, actually it makes a lot
of sense. Like, if you're a school like Indiana, you
announced that deal. If you're a school like Nebraska, I'm
using them as an example. I know your buddies with
the rules. Yeah, but like, and your coach is being
talked about, it makes a lot of sense to announce

(01:01:35):
an extension, all right and sort of end the public
discussion about this, right right, and then privately you look, again,
these guys have agents. I'm sure Penn State is still
called the agents for Signetti after the extension, they called
the a for matt rules. So they've talked about it.
But again, the difference with Lane is it's private now, right,

(01:01:57):
it's a private discussion. You've announced, So now your team
is focused on Our coach is staying he might not say,
our coach is staying, we're focused on this season. We're
focused on winning now. And then look Sinnetti might still leave.
That rule might still leave. We don't know. But the
fact is, like, I like how quiet they've done. I
don't know if they actually you know, I don't know

(01:02:17):
what the extensions look like if they're taking if they start,
you know, January first with the biot some of these
the biout didn't didn't even increase, it's just giving more money.
So I liked how they did it quietly. But I
think elk staying. I think any thing I think rule
is staying. Rule is interesting because the Rolla thing is
you know, the brother decommitting is interesting. You know, we

(01:02:39):
don't want to get into that on this show, but
that that's a name I think to still watch out
for some movement here and there. So but once once
a carousel starts, man, it's not gonna stop me. It's
gonna the trickle down effect is gonna be absolutely wild.
Then then you know, then old miss needs a job,
and then whoever hires an old miss that and he needs.

Speaker 2 (01:03:00):
A job, and that team needs he just goes down.
That's for down, down down, Hey, quick t will come
right back. Uh, fascinating world, that's that's happening. Uh where
the Fellas and Jeff hanging right here?

Speaker 1 (01:03:14):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio radio.

Speaker 3 (01:03:22):
Hey.

Speaker 2 (01:03:22):
For over forty years, tire Rack has been helping customers
find the right tires for haw Watt where they drive
ship fast and free back by free road as a
production convenient tire installation options like mobile tire installations can't
beat that. Tire raq dot com the way tire buying
should be. Now, let's do it.

Speaker 3 (01:03:43):
The tire rack play of the day Murray goes to the.

Speaker 6 (01:03:48):
Left hand, you gotta score it, gets down the lane,
leads it got it. Yes, Denver leads a one old
five to one on one with forty six seconds to go.

Speaker 2 (01:03:58):
Jamb the Nuggets radio network and go on in the association.
Association has been fun. You've been watching who no.

Speaker 5 (01:04:12):
But but.

Speaker 3 (01:04:15):
No Wells though. So yesterday a buddy of mine we
were in a text thread. It's like and Okase was
down forty six to thirty in the first quarter to
the Jazz and they were still laying seven and a half.
So I was like, yeah, they're gonna win this game

(01:04:36):
by a lot. So I took okay see minus seven
and a half and they won like one fifty to one.
Ten Yeah, no smart move, So smart move. These numbers
get adjusted way too much, I think live and so
I just took advantage of said live movement. So I
took Okay, I know, I mean, okay, see, I bet
them to have over seventy four wins. Seventy three wins,

(01:04:57):
which is the record at plus eighteen hundred. They just
not They're not. Wow, really plus eighteen hundred. It was
yeah when I when I got it, they're they're just not.
They're not losing. I don't know why not? Why not?
Why not? Because they're just they play because they play hard.
They play hard every night through a great team. They're

(01:05:17):
the second best part is I've been playing and they
play defense, They hustle, they care every night, which is
important in this sport. They got to be celebrated. Okay,
see they're awesome. So it's a lot of fun to
watch them play. But yeah, I got over and a
half wins or I guess seventy four wins at eighteen

(01:05:38):
to one with a boost too, So I forget what
I with the boost that I used a boost on
it too, which makes it more fun. So it might
actually be a better number. Let me look it up
real quick. But so I will be tracking that this season. Yeah,
I'm not watching the NBA yet. We have a ton
of college basketball. Yesterday buy you look nasty. They look good. Actually,

(01:06:00):
I actually got it twenty three to one. With the
twenty three to one O seven. That's awesome, man, seventy
four plus win, So to break the record off.

Speaker 2 (01:06:10):
They're doing it. They're doing it. I think they're doing it.

Speaker 3 (01:06:13):
Like, yeah, so we got we got college basketball today,
we college football and we got we got everything today.
But I've not watched much college basketball either. I've seen
the results and the scores and whatnot, but mostly.

Speaker 2 (01:06:22):
Yeah, I probably ahead in NBA college who.

Speaker 3 (01:06:28):
A little bit. Don't cover a little bit of the
sixers though, Like you have to pay attention a little.

Speaker 2 (01:06:32):
Bit, right, Yeah, that's why, I mean I do a
lot of I mean, Max, he had fifty four. You
want you want to you want a good bet every night?

Speaker 3 (01:06:40):
Props? Yeah, it's just go over tyresee.

Speaker 2 (01:06:44):
They still I mean, they're probably gonna adjust it, but
they've been making his total around thirty and he just
there's just look, it's who's playing right like on nights
when and Beat's not playing when uh, certain guys like.

Speaker 3 (01:07:06):
I just I just he's a great player. But I
just don't like this. I know, maybe I'm just a
dumb football player. Doesn't get it. But I just I
hate hearing like nice to guy do some players?

Speaker 6 (01:07:19):
I just I.

Speaker 3 (01:07:22):
Well, it beats a little different. Like I hear you
is to get to the records, you get to the
finish line healthy. I don't. I'm I'm a Lakers fan.
Like if if Luca's got a rest, because that's the
best way to get him to the postseason. Fine, I get,
I get, I get the logic behind it. Yeah, but
as a fan, it's just it's hard. You know, it's terrible.

(01:07:43):
I get it now.

Speaker 2 (01:07:45):
It beats a little bit of a different case because
his body's so beat up.

Speaker 6 (01:07:49):
I agree.

Speaker 3 (01:07:50):
Yeah, so like he's heasy even more.

Speaker 2 (01:07:52):
It's not like Luca, like his knees are legitimately breaking down,
like you just got a finite amount of basketball left
in him. So and it's a fine line between keeping
them active and not overdoing it. So there's a there's
a problem if they're gonna ever win or go make
a run in the East. They like, you got to

(01:08:13):
have him, you need somebody their front court is they're nobody.

Speaker 3 (01:08:17):
I'm gonna look forward to a Nuggets h thunder playoff
series that's gonna be Yeah, it's gonna be greatcause Yoka,
just like you just can't. There's obviously no defense for him,
and he's such a he And now that they have
a bench which allows him to take time off a
little more time off exactly, and there's not stress of

(01:08:38):
like when I get back in and we've lost the
twenty point League, I've been out for six minutes. Yeah,
you know, now they're able to play with him on
the bench a little bit, so it gives him more rest,
it gives him less responsibility. He just mentally from having
to do everything for that team. Uh, I'm Denver, okayse
is gonna be a battle man. I cannot wait to
get to that point in the postseason. Yeah, it's gonna be.

(01:09:01):
It really is.

Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
And you're spot on. Having having a guy like Valenteernis
to come off the bench and give you and give
you those minutes. It is a big deal, man, Just
it's huge, faked, It's a big deal. Usage is good too.
You know, they beat Euston last night, and Usta is
good and they beat him.

Speaker 3 (01:09:24):
I agree. So again, I pay attention to the story lines.
I'm just not watching it very much of it at
the moment because I just don't have the No, No,
it's a lot. I mean little Listen, last night I
had I was watching Florida State. I had him on
the cross. It was nasty.

Speaker 2 (01:09:41):
Yeah, it was horrible. I was watching Florida State and
then I was watching at the NBA and I was
just kind of going back and forth. NBA College.

Speaker 3 (01:09:48):
You know, we got that. We just had to walk
through last night. So by the time we got home.

Speaker 2 (01:09:53):
It was I just kind of did my much more
football dies your son have? We got a playoff game tonight. Okay,
So it was it was a rough week because we're
now basketball, right, We're in basketball basketball, so we gotta
do Like so three of the five weeknights, we we

(01:10:14):
had football practice five thirty to seven thirty, and then
we jumped in the car and we had basketball practice
seven forty five to nine thirty.

Speaker 3 (01:10:26):
So, you know, I'm like an insistant on both. So
like I think, mean, you're the same type of parent.
We're like, you got practice, buddy, you gotta do it.
You gotta practice to play man. Oh yeah all the time.
Because I don't want to swim tonight it's cold outside
of whatever. Yeah, excuse es. I'm like, oh, then you're
not gonna do the swim mates. I don't tell you
like I do this.

Speaker 2 (01:10:47):
I have the same conversations like and listen, I realize
it's a lot and all, but I go, dude, I go,
you gotta go to practice, man, you know, because the
little one hates football practice. Hey, right, I'm like when
I say hate it, you know, yeah, you know what
I'm like football. First of all, football is not fun, right,

(01:11:08):
Like you know basketball it's fun. Football is not fun.

Speaker 3 (01:11:13):
But you know, like practice is not.

Speaker 2 (01:11:16):
It's not a fun thing, Like you're not going to
enjoy yourself. And you're like, wow, that was great, Like
it's work, Like you gotta do it. It's necessary and
there there are moments when it's fun, but there's also
moments when you're us it sucks.

Speaker 3 (01:11:29):
You're right, the truth to payoff it. It's so funny
when you look like when you look back at it,
because I felt the same way, Like I was, like,
practice is not fun, But looking back on it, it's
like you had to do it to play, Like you
had to practice like you needed to. You know, you
need it in the moment. It's not fun in the moment.
Double days were terrible. Definly, I would have been such

(01:11:52):
a good player if I didn't get opportunity to practice
twice a day as a quorum player. And so yeah,
I turned to tell my kids two things I tell
my kids all the time that it's it's one of
the practice idea. I'm like, guys, like, look, I get it,
you're swimming. There's no meats right now. It's cold outside.
They're swimming inside. I mean there's swimming not outside, of course,

(01:12:13):
But I'm like, it's cold, it's dark. I get it's
raining out, so you don't want to go.

Speaker 2 (01:12:17):
You don't feel like going out right, I get it all,
but you know you have to.

Speaker 3 (01:12:21):
You have to practice because that's how you're ready to play,
and you know you want My daughter's really good, like Ebbie,
do you want to be She has a friend on
the team sort of like a rival. Do you want
to be? A b And the in the summer, like
AB's swimming every day, Like that's like she's in practice.
Everybody you're on a swim team, like you better you
got practice. And and then I always tell one thing
I tell my kids too, that's it's it's so important.
It's like I know this sounds odd to say I

(01:12:42):
play in the NFL, but I was never the best
player on most teams ever. I just never was, like
I I just when I played baseball, I was probably
close to the best player on my team as a kid.
But it wasn't always basketball. Probably wasn't fo I didnt
play fotball as a kid. You get the high school Yeah,

(01:13:03):
I was the best player BiH school football team. Looking
back on it, probably was. But I told him like
some time, like I was the best player at Oregon,
the best off of the line. Max Under played eleven
years the NFL at center. He was a pro bowler,
Like we play at the same time in Orger, Like,
I'm not the same, not the best player, Like you
don't have to be the best to have fun or
to be successful, Like you can do all those things
without being the best player. And I keep remind reround

(01:13:25):
them that all the time because they're always like, I'm
not the who cares do that matters me? The best player?
Are you having fun? And you don't have to be
the best to have the success that you want to have?

Speaker 2 (01:13:34):
Dude, I I Fanny, I say the same stuff, the
same stuff, I same exact stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:13:41):
You know, and and we go listen, there's always going
to be time to do have fun on the weekends,
like you can do your things like you know, Like
I'm like, do you love playing? They love playing?

Speaker 2 (01:13:55):
Right, The kids love the boys love they love it
like you know, you know and again, but if you
I say to them, if you love something, there are
times when you don't, you're still not going to feel
like doing it because you're human, right, Like we're all human.
And as much as I love, like, I love work, right,
but you know, there are times when I don't feel
like getting out of bed and going. But you gotta

(01:14:15):
do it, man, like, it's just part of it, and
you got to show because you love it. You have
to show what the respect correct to be there. And
that's picking my speech, you know, same thing like today
before we go to practice, before we get the game.
We have a game in five thirty tonight, so we
got to show up before thirty. It's it's about it.

(01:14:35):
An hour away from here. We're gonna go hit. He
got invited to go hit at the high school that
they're looking at recruits. So he's gonna go hit for
the high school. We're gonna go there at noon. So
we'll go swinging, swing some sticks and go hit and
swing the bad a little bit and I go through.

Speaker 3 (01:14:54):
It'll be fun.

Speaker 8 (01:14:55):
Just go swim some swinging, you know, swing a little bit,
and then we'll rest up for the game, get some
fuel in the body and let's go. Yeah, that's it,
all right. We're gonna take quick to you. We'll come
right back and we'll get back to the NFL. Coming
up next. Jeff Schwartz, Anthony Gargana. Where the fella is
right here on Fox.

Speaker 5 (01:15:14):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app. Search FSR to
listen live.

Speaker 2 (01:15:33):
Come back, fellas, don't forget coming up. We're gonna go
game by game in the NFL. We got the brain
coming up. I gotta work on get you guys quicker
through all the games. We didn't make it through it
last week.

Speaker 6 (01:15:47):
It was on me.

Speaker 3 (01:15:51):
I mean, it's it's hard because we have lots to say.
We're very excited about about ball, I know, and then
we start talking about it. Next thing, you know, I
got a rush. It's not a great slate though for NFL,
so we can maybe you know, we'll see how it goes. Yes, yes,
uh hey real quick, isn't it wild? The whole.

Speaker 2 (01:16:12):
Genie Buss and Joey and Jesse get booted. Genie stays
on as the governor the Lakers. She had a falling
out with her older brothers.

Speaker 3 (01:16:24):
I mean, I think it's as simple as the ownership
group just wants to not go to the meetings, so
Genie goes to the meetings, and then they run their
team basically. I mean, that's what sounds like to me.
Like I like, I I will probably have to be
the head coach of my daughter softball team in the spring.
I just don't want to go to the meetings. Like

(01:16:46):
I'm okay if someone else is think literal head coach,
and then they can do like the meetings and let
me just coach. You're right on, Oh my god, that's
what this is. It's like he's like, I don't want
to go to the meetings, right, and I just like
you didn't want to meeting, Like like Genie, you know
the meetings, you like you can hang out your pals.
I don't. I don't need to be pals with the

(01:17:07):
other owners like you just do what you want to do.
You go on these luxurious retreats with the owners to
talk about the you know, the say of the league,
and I'm just gonna be over here running the actual team.
That's what that feels like. It's happening right now. It's
so funny. It's so funny. I do it. It's why
I'm an assistant.

Speaker 2 (01:17:23):
Like I'm an assistant coach with football, basketball and baseball,
right and I love it because, yeah, I was. I
had to be the head coach for basketball, and it's
it's horrible, right, Like it's so you know, I did
it for sixth and seventh or fifth and sixth grade
last year. I've done it like the as Moscot through

(01:17:44):
grade school and then he's in seventh, he's in seventh,
Noul so seventh and eight varsity.

Speaker 3 (01:17:49):
We have a paid coach. And I love it because
I don't have to go to any meetings. I can
just coach. I know I'm gonna have to. I know,
I know they're gonna ask me to coach because there
we're gonna be down coaches this year and I'm gonna
and I'm gonna say yes because I do it. In
the spring I can't do in the fall and but
I just don't want to do. Like I talked to
one of the former like a guy who's been head coach,

(01:18:10):
I you just have to, like you put the scores,
that's easy. I could put the scores in the game
changer app. It's like, that's not a problem. It's I
just don't want to go to meetings. I don't want
to be on zoom calls. I don't want to know
all the rules.

Speaker 2 (01:18:25):
Like there was a meeting other at night for us.
I'm like for basketball, I'm like, I don't want a
nice meeting.

Speaker 3 (01:18:31):
Like it's just I can do. I can run practice,
I can teach the fundamentals of like the pitching, I can't.
I mean, I know enough. I know enough to be
dangerous at least I'm gonna go. That's easy like that,
like that's easy. Put in the lineup together, not hard.
I'll tell you what, though, my team is going to be.
We're going to be a hustle team. Buddy.

Speaker 6 (01:18:51):
I like it.

Speaker 3 (01:18:52):
We're gonna work on base running, hustling, you know, playing fast,
playing free. But I like it. I have a buddy.
Jalen hurts that it could play for you. I have
a buddy who's gonna help me out with that. But yeah,
like I just don't want to. That feels like what
you like. Like they're like, Genie, just knock yourself out, man,
go the luxurious five star resort and do your owner's meetings.

(01:19:16):
I'm gonna stay home. I'm gonna stay home. That's what
it fels. Will happen right now.

Speaker 2 (01:19:20):
Yes, yeah, I love it.

Speaker 3 (01:19:22):
You know you're you're you're right. Uh, let me ask
you a question. I've been dying to asking this to you.

Speaker 2 (01:19:28):
So we touched on the Eagles early in the show
because they were a big story all week long. And
the Eagles are approaching Jalen Hurts with the hey, do
not throw a turnout. We're not going to turn the
ball over you if you look well, yeah, I'm dying

(01:19:49):
to hear your opinion here because you look at their
offense and you know, like his their favorite throw is
aj outside the numbers, where either a j gets it
or the balls out of bounce. Right. It's a very
low percentage completion, but you're not gonna turn the ball
over on any interception. They can stay away from the
middle of the field because they fear the I n
T and Jalen won't throw. They're in his head like,

(01:20:11):
you know, don't turn the ball over, don't put the
ball over. And you look at the at the record,
and the record is astounding, So you're not buying the Hey,
we're not gonna put the ball in peril.

Speaker 3 (01:20:27):
That's that's the way he's playing. I don't agree with it.
I think that not all interceptions are bad, right, and
I'd rather have you're trying to make some plays every
now and then in oops with three and ourn, especially
with how good Eagles defense is, then just never try.

(01:20:49):
Because you get to a point where you're gonna have
a game we're gonna have, you're gonna have to do it,
and just you won't. You just haven't practiced very much.
Down the ball down the field. And I again, i'd
rather you practice it a little bit in the season.
You have a couple of errors and you earning things
out that just never do it. I'm on these people
that think all interceptions are bad. Like if you have

(01:21:09):
seven a reception in the season, whatever, I mean, what
are they? Are they third and twelve? We throw the
ballup in the air an interception or is it in
the red zone, and it's terrible. Like, if you're that
good of a quarterback, in my book, that shouldn't be
a question. You should know what to do with the ball, right.

Speaker 2 (01:21:25):
If interception is the cost of doing business, I've always
looked like Now again, I'm not saying from five of them,
but you know I can't freak out over an interception.
All right, Big hour coming up next, don't go anywhere
fellas on Fox.

Speaker 3 (01:21:48):
Good morning, Good good morning.

Do it so sound again.

Speaker 2 (01:22:20):
To search Fox Sports Radio wherever you get your podcasts,
you'll find today's full show posted right after we get
off the air. All right, coming up, the brain also
will join us. Let's take a look though at the
at tomorrow and the NFL and kind of some of
the big games and what we're looking at and.

Speaker 3 (01:22:40):
Some of the storylines for tomorrow. It starts early.

Speaker 2 (01:22:43):
Chiefs and Colts is the one o'clock game that everybody
will be watching. Now the Cults find the way across
the pond, and then they're coming off of bye week
now face the Chiefs, a spurt Kansas City team which
lost to Denver last week. So five and five? How

(01:23:06):
do you see it, Jeff, I mean we touched on
it earlier. I'm curious where you stand.

Speaker 3 (01:23:13):
I mean, look, I just got to see the Chiefs
do it? Like, can you close out a game? Right?
I mean you're oh and five this year against playoff
teams currently? Right, current playoff teams? Can you I guess
Buffalo's accounts a current playoff team, but you're oh and
five against playoff teams I guess teams within the running record,
Like show me, show me that you can win these games.

(01:23:33):
So I'm looking forward to watching it. I Daniel Jones
is gonna play, but he has a calf injury, which
is concerning because the calf injury leads to worst injuries
from time to time, so that that's something to monitor.
He is gonna play, they said, which is important to note.
This weather's not bad and can't see this weekend. I
was hoping that we see some you know, some cold
and some flurries maybe for you know, to mess with

(01:23:56):
a Dome Colts team here. You look, the chief have
to win, but they had to win against Denver two
and didn't do it. So I don't know, man. I look,
it's quite simple too though. If the Chiefs play to
their numbers, to their analytic numbers, they're going to win
this game. But they haven't done it this season, so

(01:24:16):
we'll see what we'll see if it starts on Sunday.
I don't have faith until happens. I know, I know
that that you have more faith than I do. But
until I see it happen, I won't believe it's gonna happen.
I got you.

Speaker 2 (01:24:28):
I mean, I just think I love Kancait this weekend,
but I got you. New England Cincinnati. So Burrow is back.
Looks like he's going to play. I guess he's questionable, budgetable,
but it feels like he's gonna play. Yeah, that's what
it feels like to me. Can he play defense too, well,
that's the problem. And going against the Drake you know

(01:24:51):
that that offense is cooking.

Speaker 3 (01:24:53):
I don't. I don't know how Cincinnati gets any stops.
I don't think they do either. I just don't know.

Speaker 6 (01:25:00):
I I.

Speaker 3 (01:25:02):
You can sort of I think fair to poke holes
in the Patriots schedule this season and fair to point
out some of the I think a fair assessment that
their schedule is not very good. It's one of the
I think it's one of the easiest, like NFL history.
But the fact is they're winning the games anyways, or

(01:25:25):
in spite of whatever you were, They're still winning, which
is important to note because a lot of teams don't
win those easy games. Right we thought Buffalo at an
easy game on Thursday. They're winning. They're winning, and they're
looking at getting a one seat, which is crazy to say,
Yeah they do they You're right, they they just win

(01:25:49):
the games. The thing about the NFL post season, I
think that's so interesting in this season, okay, is that
so is down in sadam On, Kansas City, which again
I'm not hiving them at the moment. They can easily
just be better, which they can certainly do. And if
they're better and they make the playoffs, that means they
win at least five the next seven games. They're gonna

(01:26:11):
be the seventh seed and they're gonna go to New
England or Buffalo New England, I should say, or they're
gonna go to Denver and the wildcard round and they're
gonna win that game. And then they're gonna go to
the one seed who's gonna be the other one of
those two teams, and they're gonna win that game. Like
they're going to get back to the anty championship game.
I think if they can get to the playoffs, because

(01:26:33):
they're gonna have fairwell matchups come to postseason. I don't
trust Drake Maye in the postseason. I don't trust I
don't trust bow Knicks to the postseason yet, I don't
trust Daniel Jones the post. Like if the Chiefs or
Buffalo can make the postseason as wildcard teams, they're gonna
be live to get to get as far as they
need to get to. Which is a weird way to
look at the postseason this year, but that's what's gonna

(01:26:55):
happen because the experience does matter in the postseason and
those teams are gonna have it.

Speaker 2 (01:27:00):
Yeah, by the way, this is the side for tomorrow.
I was just looking at the weather, and it's a country.
It's good. It's actually gore, you know for this time
of year. We saw a little bit of it the
last couple of weeks with some of the culture temperatures
and the winds.

Speaker 3 (01:27:19):
No winds like in Chicago fifty two.

Speaker 2 (01:27:23):
Degrees five mile hour winds in Chicago, in Green Bay
forty seven degrees h very little wind.

Speaker 3 (01:27:35):
Forty se degrees in Chicago. How about that?

Speaker 2 (01:27:39):
Yeah, Cincinnati fifty five degrees for that game.

Speaker 3 (01:27:43):
So good.

Speaker 2 (01:27:44):
The weather's gonna be fifty nine in Kansas City for
that game against the Colts.

Speaker 3 (01:27:49):
Yeah, yeah, it's gonna be nice, which is again, like
you know, if you're a Chiefs fan, I was hoping
we see a little bit of poor weather, but I mean,
is what is change the game? But yeah, the weather
would have and would have been nice. All right, let's go,
h let's keep going some of the storylines. Where are
you at with Baltimore at five and five right now?

(01:28:11):
I don't like them.

Speaker 2 (01:28:13):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:28:13):
I just I'm not in Baltimore right now. I just
don't like the way they're playing. I understand that they've
been through injuries. I get it, but they they they
have too many games where we're like, what is what
are we doing this? This is gross? I that really
worries me about them. I don't I don't like for
how good that they should be, it's too many of
those games or it's just like it doesn't look like

(01:28:35):
it should and I just I don't like it.

Speaker 2 (01:28:37):
And it's funny you said it because they've won four
in a row, right, Like they beat the Bears, they've
beat the Dolphins, they won at Minnesota, and last week
they went at Cleveland.

Speaker 3 (01:28:48):
I know it's Cleveland, Yeah, but I think for for Baltimore,
just like the Kansas City, just like Buffalo, Like there's
a standard for what we should see from this team,
especially for a team that wants to win a Super Bowl,
and we we look at at the standard and if
it's not up to standard, I think it's fair to
question that because again, like I think that very clearly.

(01:29:11):
They're they're a good team, but they're not playing the
way that I think they should be looking right now.
Play the time to fix that, obviously, but it's not.
It's not The football is not very clean at the moment,
and that that does concern me. Let's keep going storylines.

Speaker 2 (01:29:28):
How about the storyline of Sam Donald last week another
big game and another big game where he melts.

Speaker 3 (01:29:37):
Pumpkin the pumpkins showed up. Yeah, it's same thing. Like
I I think that they can Seattle's played well on defense,
and you know, Donald just got to clean up in
these big games. Man, it's that simple. He could he
clean this up, which I don't think this is who
he is now, so I think that's probably unrealistic to

(01:29:57):
expect there to be a cleanup. You can, they can
win it stick up pretty farm in the postseason, but
just we haven't. We haven't seen that in his career.
He's in these big moments, he has not played very well. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:30:09):
Yeah, uh, all right, Vikings have a quarterback problem.

Speaker 6 (01:30:16):
I know what you do.

Speaker 3 (01:30:18):
Okay, this is gonna be controversial. I didn't. I didn't
put that. I didn't put this on the internet because
I just I knew that this was gonna go. I'm
all for, uh, like players speaking about, you know, getting
their their mentals correct right and their performance when it

(01:30:38):
comes to how they process and how they see the
field and all this stuff, and like what they're trying
to do to get better. But at some point, it's
like with McCarthy this week, dude, just go play football. Man,
you're too young to be talking about like, you know,
like the the I need to be a better processor

(01:30:59):
and I'm taking my dog on a walk and I'm
doing ten reps of like yeah, just dude, just play football, bro,
I just do not care right now. You're not You're
not good enough to like do that, like talk like
this yet, Like, just just play football, man, like I like,
and I know, I know, I know it's old school

(01:31:22):
to think this way. And again I'm I'm a sports
psychologist as a player, Like I'm all for making sure
you're you're mentally where you need to be. But you
played started six games. Man. Just just know the football, bro,
Just know the football, like I just I don't want
to hear it. I don't like imagine being a Vikings fan.
You're all in on this season and your quarterbacks up there,

(01:31:45):
like I gotta, I just I gotta find the exactly.
I gotta find the exactly. No I know, well, you
know the whole alter ego of nine Yeah that that dude,
just just throw the football. Yeah, this is alter ego.
Like I'm trying to find the the the exact quote
here that I saw of Oh, he's he's rewiring his

(01:32:07):
neurological pathways. Just just just play football, man, I I
the alter ego thing like it. Just just win football games.
That's why your gating paid money to when that's what
you're drafting. Start. Just win the football game, man, that's
your job. I don't you know. Off its line coach.

(01:32:28):
You know, we've had some old school guys, right, I love.
One of them said he's very crude, but he said, like,
you know, basically to a player complaining or something like that.
He said, don't tell me about the pain. Just show
me the baby. Yeah, just just just show me the results, man.
And then and then after you after you show me
the results and talk about how you got the results.

(01:32:49):
But you got to play better. You got to play better.
And I don't care how you do it, but but
play better. And so away. He's very young. He's going
to figure this thing out. I guess. I don't know. Maybe,
but enough of the enough of the I just how
much better would they be if Joe Flacco was the

(01:33:10):
quarterback this year? Oh that they would be? Yeah, throw
those receivers and the thing of two is that it's
worth pointing out, like the defense is not as good
this season, but the defense is designed to rush the
passer and get after the passer, and when you're losing,
you can't do that, and so the defense is taking

(01:33:31):
a little bit of hit for that reason. I still
think the defense is fine. It's just not getting any
offensive support. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I agree. I mean you're
I mean, he's terrible. Just just just don't talk about
the pay man, show me the baby. I just I

(01:33:54):
just don't want to hear it. Yeah, it's just a
completely like inappropriate.

Speaker 2 (01:34:02):
But I like to blunt this of it, like like
I got Fangio here, right, I love Vic Fangio. Right,
so Vic Fangio in his news conference, he's.

Speaker 3 (01:34:14):
Just it's just to the point.

Speaker 2 (01:34:17):
It's yeah, Dory Jackson, Uh, you got beat a couple
of times earlier.

Speaker 3 (01:34:21):
And then he made like a couple of nice plates,
you know, like that's it.

Speaker 2 (01:34:25):
Yeah, he's here, he's there. Yeah, offense, what are you
gonna do?

Speaker 3 (01:34:31):
Right? The offense puts us in the.

Speaker 2 (01:34:33):
Spot we were supposed cry about it, like no, you
gotta gotta, you gotta buckle up, you know whatever.

Speaker 3 (01:34:40):
He's the best Like the thing that I think frustrates
me with some of the like the McCarthy stuff, is that,
like well he puts to me, it puts a lot
more pressure on him when the end comments right about
like we wiring yourself and whatnot. Everyone everyone, I don't think.
I don't think anyone thinks you're not working hard, right,

(01:35:03):
but just I think to me, as a young player,
just it feels like it puts a way more pressure
on you to have to be like perfect and have
to get it right when you make these comments and
that that it's just from like a pr perspective, I
think you just don't want to be out there like
just like I gotta get better. I mean, just like
everyone knows that. But when you when you put it
in these terms, I think it just adds a little

(01:35:24):
extra pressure on you, which I don't think you want
at this point of his career. You just want to
go out there and get better each and every week,
and it just it feels like it just puts undue
stress on him to have to talk like this each
week and update everyone on on your you on your
progress essentially each each weekend. There's a lot to do
as a rookie quarterback. You you know, not rookie sending

(01:35:45):
your quarterback obviously, but you didn't play last year. A
lot on your plate already, and then to have to
answer questions now probably every week about your neurological pathways,
it's like it feels like it's like a lot of
unnecessary discussion for you to have to do it every week.

Speaker 2 (01:35:58):
I know, and I I can't believe that they they
went to this season.

Speaker 3 (01:36:05):
That bear well, I can because you if you're the Vikings,
you drafted McCarthy. He didn't play last year, so you
don't even have a baseline for what he can be
and and your pre draft comp shouldn't have changed, and
you thought he'd be the guy that he got hurt,
and so like he's a guy that we all agreed
needed reps to break a play, didn't get the reps

(01:36:26):
because he was hurt. And that's this is where you're at.
You're at a place where you have a young player
who needed reps, couldn't get the reps, and now you're
sort of stuck in a year when you thought you
need You thought you were gonna have to win, and
you're not going to be a playoff team. I just
kind of unfortunate, that's the situation they're in because McCarthy
got hurt this season. I look, he might turn out

(01:36:47):
to be great. I don't know. I don't know, but
we don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:36:52):
You having a legitimate backup though, I mean, someone that
you know could step in and help save this scene
that was Carson Wentz right.

Speaker 3 (01:37:03):
Well, I mean I think they kind of.

Speaker 2 (01:37:05):
I mean I'm talking about like a real backup like
he he was never like, oh my god, we at
least we have I just want to like Flacco or
mac Jones.

Speaker 3 (01:37:18):
It was hard to get rid of.

Speaker 2 (01:37:19):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, And again I'm just talking about like
those guys. That's you know, having someone. I mean, here's
something I still would have, you know what I've done.
I mean, look, I mean it would have failed. So
I'm telling you I would have failed, but I still
went Rogers and had the kids sit I mean I

(01:37:41):
would have that to me, would have been in the
smartest situation with the way my team was built, like
I'm built to win, I would have went Rogers and let.

Speaker 3 (01:37:53):
The kid watch Rogers. I mean I didn't see any
harm in that. Yeah, I mean, it's it's an interesting
hindsight to look back on it now and and I
think you're probably right on that. But the thing is, again, like,
if you're in Minnesota, ideally you had to end this
season with an idea of how to build around McCarthy,
and I'm not sure that they really got to that

(01:38:16):
point unfortunately, And if you played, if you started with
Rogers this season, you would never get to that point
this year like that, and that I think those are
all the issues about why you had to play McCarthy
this year, But it just it just hasn't worked out.
And I don't think they should have resigned Donald either.
I mean, I just think after the playoffs last year,
in the Week seventeen game, you can't resign Donald. There's
no way to bring him back. You just couldn't done.

(01:38:38):
I agree.

Speaker 2 (01:38:39):
I said to do the Rogers thing and let him
watch like I never understood why, you know, they were
so like, oh my god, there's no way in the
world that we can't have anyone breathing down his neck.
Why like, why can't he just watch? Like Rogers made
a lot of sense, and then something happens to Rogers.

Speaker 3 (01:38:58):
Waldron also wanted to go there. I think he did
want to go. I talk about the time.

Speaker 2 (01:39:03):
This isn't like revisionists, and like, I know he's hurt,
but like it would actually been a perfect situation for
McCarthy to have Rogers there, and Rogers at this age
is going.

Speaker 3 (01:39:14):
To there's a likely hive been getting injured like he is.

Speaker 2 (01:39:16):
Now and then the kid goes in like you're watching it,
there's not there's not a lot of pressure. He doesn't
have to talk about these you know, these passageways, right,
Like you know, I don't know. I just thought I'm
especially an unproven where he's at. It's like the Giants, right,
So because so Dark gets ruled out, I don't think

(01:39:40):
of myself, why would you even bring him back this season?
It makes no sense to bring him back the season.
You gotta you got a guy you count your blessings.
Jackson Dart is a stud. Do not imperil him the
rest of the year on a bad team. Right when
coming off the concussures that he had put him in

(01:40:03):
bubble rap.

Speaker 3 (01:40:06):
I agree that NFL teams don't think like that. And
you know that, so I mean we could say that.

Speaker 2 (01:40:10):
This is where you should when we're in November. I'm
not saying thing like that in September, but we're in November.
You're not making the playoffs?

Speaker 3 (01:40:18):
What are you doing?

Speaker 2 (01:40:20):
You you got rid of the coach because the coach
was fearful for his job and ran the kid or
too many quarterback draws and imperiled the kid, which was
terrible kind to him. Involved in the run game is dumb,
like you're not trying to win if you if you're
the Eagles and you're you got Jalen Hurts, you need

(01:40:42):
him in a run game because you're trying to win
a super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (01:40:44):
It so there's so there's a discussion. So one thing
that hurts Lamar Jackson. Some of the guys that run
a little bit more, they do a really good job
protecting themselves when they're out in space. Most most quarterbacks,
you know, a lot they don't have They get hurt
in the pocket, but you know when they run the ball,
like what Dart was doing, he just never protected himself.

(01:41:06):
He was running so reckless, Jalen Hurts Lawara Jackson. They
do a great great job Mahomes even when he runs,
of just getting down when you have to write, of
making sure that you're not taking that extra contact and
I'm fine with them using Dart, but until he figures
out how to do that, you can't run him anymore.
Until he figures out how to slide, how to avoid contact,

(01:41:26):
how to just get to the next play, you can't
run him as much.

Speaker 2 (01:41:30):
When he figures that out. I think it's absolutely okay
to use him in that air, but table that was
for dable to implement.

Speaker 3 (01:41:38):
I agree, I agree, just never did. Yeah, I mean
you talk.

Speaker 2 (01:41:44):
About Gregious, my god, and they should not play again,
not this year. I would not play him again this year.
I have nothing to gain.

Speaker 3 (01:41:53):
I think that we'll talk to the brain here and
say I think that I think the Giants get smoked
this weekend, Like I think this is I think this
is the beginning up right, already bad, but it's gonna
be worse now that Lions.

Speaker 2 (01:42:04):
This is where the Lions put on forty even without Laport,
it doesn't matter. Yeah, absolutely, uh we uh will take
it quick too, and come back with the brain. I'm
going to start with the NFL go fast, then go
to college, all right, and I'll preface it with the
brain that we need to move because I dropped the

(01:42:26):
ball last week.

Speaker 3 (01:42:26):
I gotta be harder on you guys. I gotta keep
you on schedule, got it, we gotta stay. It is
my fault. I can't be behind the chains, all right,
Come on, coach, let's go. All right? Where the fellas
Jeff it in right here?

Speaker 2 (01:43:02):
Welcome back, Happy Fox Sports. We're a football Saturday that
for sure. Time out to take a look at the
games from a betting standpoint.

Speaker 3 (01:43:17):
With oh Man the brain. Good morning brain, Good morning,
my friend.

Speaker 6 (01:43:23):
How are you all right?

Speaker 3 (01:43:25):
Now? Here's the deal.

Speaker 2 (01:43:26):
I need to be tough on you guys, okay, because
I dropped the ball the last couple of weeks, all right,
I messed up. I we did not get through all
the games and I we all love it. We get excited,
we start the yammer, but we gotta be fast, all right.

(01:43:47):
So Mike, No, that's my fault. I'm the one that's
got to keep the keep the trade on the track,
right like, that's my fault. So I'm too easy when
you guys, all right, all right, we're gonna start with
the NFL, because when we go to college, we get

(01:44:09):
we lose. So we're going to We're going to NFL.
Then we'll do college on the other the other side
before the end of the show. So without further ado this,
we'll have some time to breathe in the good games.
Cults and Chiefs, you could take some time to analyze this. Well,
there's a good one. The sticky games. We're gonna go fast,

(01:44:32):
all right, those are the rules brain Cult Chiefs.

Speaker 3 (01:44:37):
How you seeing that?

Speaker 6 (01:44:39):
You know, if you from a pure number standpoint, you
probably have to fall on Indy. But I'm gonna just
lean here towards Kansas City. Uh three and a half.
I never could but at three, I do think the
Chiefs find a way to win this game. But if
you just look at how the teams are played, it
would be Indie. It I shift my instincts, tell me

(01:45:02):
mahomes at home must win game. They find a way
to do what Kansas City laying three or less.

Speaker 3 (01:45:08):
I love it, I Jeff, Yeah, I would take the
Colts plus three and a half. But I'm not betting
on this game because I just not look. Chiefs might change.
I don't know. They might run from under center all
of a sudden, I do some better players to pass
his eyes. I don't know. I just don't. I just
don't trust them right now. So, uh, they haven't won
these close games this season. They haven't won against good

(01:45:29):
teams this season. I will take the Colts plus three.
I bet on it myself. But if you're asking me,
I would take the Colts.

Speaker 2 (01:45:37):
Yeah, he's a Keefe fan, so he's he's a little
forlorn right now.

Speaker 6 (01:45:43):
Brain, Okay, I didn't know that.

Speaker 2 (01:45:46):
Yeah, he's gee loves the Chiefs and he's wounded right now.
Just I don't worry about it. You're gonna be great.
They're gonna they're gonna go on a run. I feel it,
it would be great. I gotta see it to believe it.

Speaker 3 (01:45:58):
Man. I hear you, I hear you, all right.

Speaker 2 (01:46:00):
Steelers Bears Chicago two and a half against Pittsburgh.

Speaker 3 (01:46:05):
Brain.

Speaker 6 (01:46:06):
You know it's interesting that this line is so freaking
cheap low not being said. I cannot back the Bears.
It'd be Pittsburgh as three for sure for me. Lean
Pittsburgh not playing.

Speaker 3 (01:46:19):
It, Jeff Pittsburgh here. The Bears now have won five
games this season. Where they've been trailing under two minutes,
tied for the most in a given season. They're twenty
fifth and dvo. They're not a good team. I don't
just I don't know if I love Pittsburgh in this spot,
but I certainly don't like the Bears.

Speaker 2 (01:46:40):
This year's Bears are last year's Commanders.

Speaker 3 (01:46:44):
I think Mans were better last year.

Speaker 6 (01:46:46):
Yeah, cam MANA think we're a little better. But I
hear what you're saying from something.

Speaker 3 (01:46:49):
I mean all the same.

Speaker 2 (01:46:50):
Mind they're in Miami six differential, yet there's seventy three
it is. But I like the quarterback. I like to
word the quarterbacks playing better. Man, I like work as that.
I think Ben Johnson is doing a good job with him.
All right, Bengals Patriots, this great game. Burrow looks like
he's back.

Speaker 3 (01:47:10):
Brain.

Speaker 6 (01:47:11):
Well, you know, it's funny.

Speaker 3 (01:47:12):
I got it.

Speaker 6 (01:47:14):
I got information that Joe Burrow was probably going to
play like three years ago, made a large bet on
since he Since then, I think that information they have
been not accurate. I think he's Cincinnati that either way,
But he doesn't think the Sathy plains or doesn't play
in the sunset. I think Cincinnati, even without Chase can
keep this one close with Joe Flacco. It's seven and
a half if Burrow is out, definitely mean, MA mean

(01:47:37):
I get either way. I mean Cincinnati, I think they
can keep this game close against the New England.

Speaker 3 (01:47:42):
I don't. I don't have a great read for this one.
I mean the Bengals, you know, they get Burrow back, great,
but the offense has not been the problem. They've been
so so bad on defense that I think New England
just the way they're playing, run the football, keep it
out of it, you know, keep it out of the
Bengals offensive hand. I think I think in the end
doing all probably covers this game late, but I'm not
playing this one.

Speaker 2 (01:47:59):
Yeah, yeah, I don't you see Bengals defense being I mean,
I can't see even getting stops against the Drake nice Weather.

Speaker 3 (01:48:07):
The promise is the NFL man, and like every game
that we think is going to happen, the other thing happens.
So I'm with you on that idea. But that's the issue.
Was like, oh, there are defense things. All of a sudden,
they played great. I just I like New Angle. Nope,
I'm not. I don't better though, all right, bring big
big number here.

Speaker 2 (01:48:24):
Baltimore laying thirteen and a half against the Jets and tie.

Speaker 3 (01:48:29):
God well, well.

Speaker 6 (01:48:31):
Again, quarterback upgrade unquestionably for the Jets. Here, it's pan.
It's crazy as that seems. Lamar is not looking anything
close to the Lamar VP. I'm not betting the Jets,
but to me, the Jets are being easy side.

Speaker 3 (01:48:45):
I would, yeah, i'd probably. I feel about Baltimore earlier.
I got nothing on this one, but I would take
the Jets of anything. All right, let's keep going.

Speaker 2 (01:48:53):
Another big number, Seattle laying thirteen and a half at Tennessee.

Speaker 6 (01:48:59):
Brain to me, this is against Seattle or pass I
love cam Warts under pass yard one hundred and ninety
two and a half. Where we're saying that number, I
don't know, Miss cam Warts, Mom, I absolutely don't get
I don't. I don't get that. One of my biggest
bets of the year. I would be on the Seattle
seven on seven days. I can never back in the
see against a defense like that in a way.

Speaker 3 (01:49:21):
Yeah, I agree. Well for the time, I agree. We've
moved along.

Speaker 2 (01:49:26):
Green Bay, Minnesota. Where are we at here with nine
going to lamb.

Speaker 6 (01:49:34):
Bou Yeah for me again, I'm sorry, go ahead, no, no, no.

Speaker 3 (01:49:39):
No, always break will always go break.

Speaker 6 (01:49:41):
Okay, I for me again, I can I just I
cannot lay this kind of points with this Green Bay team.
I know Minnesota has been the quarterback to play has
been just atrocious, and that's putting it kindly. But to me,
it would be Minnesota or Pass.

Speaker 3 (01:49:56):
I'm with you, I don't I agree. This Green Bay
team to me is so trustworthy. But I'll the fuck
this is to me, just stay away. I just not
touched this game at all.

Speaker 2 (01:50:06):
All Right, Lions at home and the friendly cob fides
normally they're something like eight to oh against the spread
as a favorite after loss, and they're going to destroy
the Giant's brain.

Speaker 3 (01:50:25):
Do you see that?

Speaker 6 (01:50:27):
You know it's funny. I think I told you the
other day. I was waiting Slash, hoping for Dark to
be out, and I was going to pounce like a
cat on the favorite Lions. And that's what I did.
As soon as I heard Dart was out. I bet
their team total over thirty one and a half over
thirty and a half, and I bet them laying twelve
in this game. I will be surprised if the Giants
keep this game, even getting close at all. I think

(01:50:49):
this game will be covering it halftime.

Speaker 3 (01:50:51):
Strong agree. I had the Lions in my card this week.
I think we we agree. I mean, this is what
the Lions do, man, they just pour it on the
these bad teams at home. They They've done it for
years now. So I think a lot of this is
like one of those games where it's like fifty two seventeen,
they just they just take all their anger out a
lot from the Eagles loss on the Giants, all right,

(01:51:12):
Arizona Jacksonville.

Speaker 2 (01:51:14):
Jacksonville lay in three at Arizona and bristtte who had
a monster week last week's twenty percent.

Speaker 6 (01:51:26):
He's completely played well. I was just saying, you got
to give him a lot of credit. But this Arizona
team though, I mean, don't let the coach a lot
of I can't say so many things about Arizona, but
that being said, I think this game, I know we
saw the Charges last week played great. I'm sorry, jackson
Will played great against the Chargers. To me, this game,
I think it's fifty to fifty. That's amazing either. Absolutely

(01:51:49):
to take the dollar a pass. I would never lay
three on the road with Jacksonville here.

Speaker 3 (01:51:54):
Eric I got Arizona on my card here. I think
it's a great spot off a big Jacksonville win. I
think Arizona offensively has has obviously been good. They have
seven turnovers last two games. I mean that that obviously
plays a big role in winning and losing, so they
can avoid the turnovers in this game. I like the
three points in Arizona.

Speaker 2 (01:52:13):
Schedoor versus the Raiders. What do you got brain?

Speaker 6 (01:52:19):
Yeah? Yeah, I just heard so much negative stuff about
shaudor about stuff going on there. I just everything would
have told me to be on that side. But I
guess he's as halfless as I'm hearing as a pass
for me, because I'm certainly not laying four points with
the Raiders. But yeah, again, I have a lot of

(01:52:41):
Shadoor Sanders under someone I'm hearing, Jeff I.

Speaker 3 (01:52:45):
Took Raiders team total under nineteen and a half. How
the scoring nineteen points on twenty points in this Browns defense,
no no chance, no chance.

Speaker 2 (01:52:54):
So it's the total of the game. I bet all
this twenty six.

Speaker 3 (01:53:01):
The Raiders defense is so bad that they might be
able to run the ball and flat sha pass them
to death. The Raiders offense is just a true, like
their offensive line is offensive. They are a terrible offense.
So I am very happy to take the Raiders in
the nineteen a half points. All right, uh, Falcons and Saints?
Do we just we just this, brainy? Do you like

(01:53:23):
it well?

Speaker 6 (01:53:25):
Again? The line opening correct?

Speaker 8 (01:53:26):
Ye?

Speaker 6 (01:53:27):
And then this line opened two and a half. I
bet the Saints getting two and a half. I thought
they should be a two point favorite. And that's kind
of exactly what's happened. I lean here, Saints, I think
the Falcons. Kirk Cousins to me is kind of like
the artist formally known as Prince. The artist formally known
as Kirk Cousins. He's done would be Saints or pass
for me?

Speaker 3 (01:53:48):
I'm not I won't watch a second of this game.
All right, we're gonna come back. We got we did well.

Speaker 2 (01:53:54):
We got Eagles, Cowboys, Bucks, Rams, Carolina, San fran Or
again u ce USC all right, and maybe Oklahoma Miszoo
and a couple stragglers to finish it out with the
fellas right here on Fox.

Speaker 1 (01:54:11):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:54:19):
All right, welcome back fellas, Jeff Schwartz, Anthony Gargano, and
of course the Brain. Every week he does the last
half hour with us to go through all the games
from a betting standpoint.

Speaker 3 (01:54:32):
So let's pick it up where we left off.

Speaker 2 (01:54:35):
The four to twenty five game on Fox America's Game
of the Week, the Eagles and the Cowboys. That line
is down to three, the Cowboys laying three to total
forty seven and a half.

Speaker 3 (01:54:52):
What are you thinking? What are you thinking?

Speaker 6 (01:54:55):
Brain? Well, look I when it was four and a half,
I did that Dallas. Uh even at three, I still
lean Dallas. I think Dallas is a kind of a
scary team going forward. I think they definitely improved their
defense getting Williams from the Jets, and obviously the offense

(01:55:15):
for those two receivers and the quarterback and the good
running back play this year. Look, you keep watching them
every week like, how do they do it? Their offense
looks so futurreed every weekend they keep winning. To me,
I think Dallas has a real chance to win this game.
I'll take the points, and I think it's a fifty
to fifty game.

Speaker 3 (01:55:31):
Oh I do the only Dallas in this game. There,
I'm betting the Philly in this game, and come on,
you know better, we're gonna win. But I would not
touch Philly this game.

Speaker 2 (01:55:48):
To Brota, okay, all right, uh Tampa and the Rams
great Sunday that game now this live is it's seven.

Speaker 6 (01:56:00):
Seven and a half.

Speaker 2 (01:56:03):
Yeah, I mean it feels too fat. It's a Rams line,
but it feels too fat to me. I mean, I'll
take Baker in the points we say, brain.

Speaker 6 (01:56:13):
Yeah, yeah, I took it. I really wasn't planning on
betting this team. Per se. It was six and a half.
I'm like, okay, I thought the lines should be between
actually at six six and a half in that area.
Then I went to seven and a half yesterday I
was able to grab them, like, all right, I have
no choice. Yeah, I mean I'll take seven and a
half with Tampa Bay The obviously to me have a
chance to not only keep being close people winning the game.

(01:56:33):
To me, there's no way I'm laying seven and a
half with the Rams.

Speaker 3 (01:56:37):
I think the Rams team pill Over would be a
player of this game. But I don't have a strong
feel either. I mean, at some point you yet you
would think Tampa would play better defensively. It's been a
problem there. It's the last couple of weeks the New
England ran all over them and dominated up front and
last week obviously, I mean they scored thirty two points.
It didn't cover. It was kind of wild. You know
that was not great for your boy. But I think

(01:57:00):
the rams sem total over is when he looked at
this game. Okay, I like it.

Speaker 2 (01:57:08):
Let's go to Monday Night Niners Panthers. The Niners lay
in seven. Jeff lives in Charlottes. I'm curious with Jeff
Fick's brain started off, what do you think Niners laying seven?

Speaker 6 (01:57:23):
Well, my favorite about this game, Anthony, would be to
take San Francisco and teachers teasing down from minus seven
to minus one, and I feel very comfortable, but win
the game. If you're not doing any teasers for me,
it would still be San Francisco or pass. I think
this caronline of team. I know Bryce played well last week,
but I just don't trust them even a little bit.
To me, forty nine ers a pass, but I like

(01:57:44):
them accusers.

Speaker 3 (01:57:45):
I think like a Ted McMillan over receiving. I also
I tend to play Christian McCaffrey over receptions every week.
You get a ton of targets. If Carolina can keep
up offensively in this game, right, they'll they'll they'll have
to target McCaffrey a little bit more.

Speaker 6 (01:57:59):
So.

Speaker 3 (01:58:01):
That's sort of how I play a lot of Niners games.
What what do you think of Carolina? This guy? I
think Carolina keeping close. Uh, the Niners defensive defense does
not bag. It's just it's just the Niners defense right now.
It just can't get stops because of I know, have
you got Rico can run the ball? I think the
game is probably I just Carolina is. I love obviously Panthers.

(01:58:24):
I just there's a lot of a lot of the
numbers aren't great on the Panthers, even though games no.

Speaker 2 (01:58:29):
I I get, I just I like him in this game.
I just think there's too many points anyway. All right,
let's go to college. Good job boys, maybe through the NFL.
Let's go to college.

Speaker 3 (01:58:40):
Brain.

Speaker 2 (01:58:41):
This is a big one for our boy today because
you know he's a proud duck, he's captain, and it's
a major, major game. Oregon USA lines up to ten
and a half.

Speaker 6 (01:58:57):
Now, it is pricey. It is pricey for me. It's
still Oregon or pass a lot of points to lay here.
I get it, but I don't trust you receive even
a little bit on the road. I think Oregon gets
here and UN's by double digits.

Speaker 3 (01:59:12):
I was waiting on my app Sunday night for this
number to drop and USC beat Iowa, and then I
got seven and a half. So I have Organ my
seven and a half, and I'm sticking with Wow, so
I will. I'm glad to take seven and a half.
Obviously with the current number as is. Wow, that's strong,

(01:59:34):
that's strong. But yeah, I think we'll all of us
agree that this is a monster gay. This is sets
up really well for Oregon unless we turn the ball
over our eight hundred times we haven't done all season.
I think Organ is in a good spot in this one.

Speaker 2 (01:59:48):
All right, Oklahoma and Missouri another good early game.

Speaker 3 (01:59:55):
We're yet brain.

Speaker 6 (01:59:57):
You know it's funny. Oklahoma. I love to me are
the best coach team. I'm curious, Jeff your opinion. I
inventibles to me again. I watch this team offensively, and
I think the quarterback is decent, but I think there's
really not much there.

Speaker 2 (02:00:10):
No.

Speaker 6 (02:00:11):
But defensively, man, they just every week they give their
opponent troubles. I just would not want to play if
I was a good off, which I actually have a
lot of a ton of respect formenibles, a ton of
respect for coachmenibles. I like Oklahoma. To me, it's Oklahoma
a path. I like the way they're playing and their
defense is just going to give anyone trouble. I think
they do win this one by at least a touchdown.

Speaker 3 (02:00:33):
So I uh, the people that I know this people
don't like when I say this, But there's a lot
of people that I look at and I see there
they're wagers and I just automatically fade them because they're
very bad and there's there's a lot of matches this
week on them being in Oklahoma. So I have Missouri
plus seven and a half. I mean, I would wager
only game myself, but I just you have to either

(02:00:56):
do it or not do it. You can't just like
choose the weeks to fad people. And when the three
people that I fade the most are all in Oklahoma,
I have Missouri plus seven and a half. So that's
that's where I sit. This fade the mush fade the mushy.
Hey man, it makes a lot of money every week,
though you can't like pick and choose the weeks to
do it. So I'm on Missouri I don't love it.

(02:01:18):
To be fair, I don't love it, but I have seven.

Speaker 2 (02:01:20):
And a half and half Tennessee and Florida tonight, seven
thirty eastern.

Speaker 6 (02:01:27):
What do you got, brain, Yeah, I mean.

Speaker 3 (02:01:32):
Florida. We got like twenty seconds.

Speaker 6 (02:01:35):
Yeah yeah, Lean Tennessee, Lean Tennessee. Not again. I'm betting
not again.

Speaker 3 (02:01:39):
I'm betting Lee Jafsey as well. Yeah yeah, anybody else's brain.

Speaker 2 (02:01:43):
You're like, no, man, that's that's you Lean College, Leen
College Card. All Right, it's gonna do it for us boys.
Great job, brain, go ducks. Jeff all Right, fellas are out.
We love you guys. Have a good week.
