(00:30):
Huh some dude show Cuffs the legend, what up?
Speaker 1 (00:37):
No, it's time to check in with Cuffs, the legend
from some Dude show podcast on Up on Game presents,
Cuffs is giving you a spicy takes. What's going down
to take the heat like Lebron and now here's cuffs
the legend. It's gold time.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
Legend.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
Hey, Cuffs, what's up? My man? My guys, me and
plax you know LeVar he he he busy. He depressed,
Penn State, can't do nothing, he can't win a gaming
up on Game, down on games, So he doesn't disappear. Man,
he don't want to be seen, because what's up with you?
Speaker 4 (01:19):
My boy?
Speaker 5 (01:21):
For fellas. First off, you know, happy Thanksgiving, man, Like,
I don't don't know about y'all, man, but I consume
way too much food, way too many calories the last
forty eight hours. I don't want to see another play
of food. Man.
Speaker 4 (01:36):
Man, that's all getting it in done, then that's all
of us.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
I'm I'm, I'm, I'm leftovers all the way till tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (01:43):
Then I'm done.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
I'm gonna give it through the weekend that I'm done.
Speaker 5 (01:47):
But you know what, I was listening into the show,
man like the first hour. I was listening in and
I heard y'all talking about the Chicago Bears. Man, and
I was watching the game against the Eagles. I never
thought I would say these words like I never thought
I would say these words. You know, I was a
little kid watching the eighty five Bears Walster Payton Refrigerator, Parry.
(02:09):
I was, you know, they the Glory Day's Bears, Like
these ain't your daddy's bears. These new Bears. Man Ben
Johnson has really changed the coach. And I never thought
I would say this, But the Bears, not only the Bears,
but it's the Dallas Cowboys and the Bears. They might
be super Bowken tenders right now.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
They looking like it. They looking like it now coming
out there, NFC. You got to go through them rounds.
That's the way Stafford playing in that defense plan. But
I want to get into football real quick. We're gonna
go back to the Bears and the Cowboys in a second.
But I want to ask you this, if you were
Lane Kissing, what are you doing?
Speaker 5 (02:54):
The easy answer to TJ like this Lane Kiffing situation
is what I call like a class. That's the case
of I gotta do what's best for me and my family.
That's what I call it. Like that pretty much means
you take the most money possible and you and you
head for the heels. And I think it's what we're
seeing right now. I mean, how can you possibly how
(03:14):
can you really blame lank Kisson for wanting to coach
at LSU. That's a dream school. They have a better
football tradition than Old Miss, better facilities, better resources, more resources.
They're gonna get all types of nil money. You're gonna
be able to get the best recruits man, the best
home crowd in college football at night, and baton ruge.
I mean, you're gonna see probably like Odell Beckham Junior
(03:36):
and Joe Burrow and Ryan Clark on the sidelines. It's
gonna be a vibe in baton ruge and if I'm
if I'm lame kissing, you know, I don't know if
y'all saw him and his family and enjoined Thanksgiving dinner.
But on Twitter they showed a picture of his family
at the dinner table and they said that looks like
a family that's moving that table they were eating on
(04:00):
like a very very like portable type table. So I
think Blaye kids and the Brinks trucks are backing up
to his crib right now as we speak. So it's
a cold game, y'all. Yeah, y'all know how it is
now with the nil stuff to transfer a portal like
these coaches. Man, there's no lower team now all across
the board. So I would just say, you gotta do
it benually for you and your family, man. And that's
(04:22):
how much money? How much money? What's the difference in.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
The salary LSH was giving him supposedly thirteen to fifteen
a year, twenty five million a year for his roster.
Oh miss camp match that they can't match. They don't
have the resources and they can't do it.
Speaker 6 (04:40):
They may not have the resource. But because I really
got to disagree on your take that you just put
out there for the listeners to hear, traditions don't win
football games. If that was the case, traditionally, the Duke
Brook Devils would have won.
Speaker 4 (04:55):
And that's another national championship.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Since twenty fifteen.
Speaker 6 (04:59):
So traditions don't win football games in championship coaches and
players do.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
I get it.
Speaker 6 (05:09):
I understand take the most money possible as a coach,
do what's best for you and your family. But I
just don't agree with just because he goes to LSU
he's an automatic shoe in for a national championship, and
that he cannot build a championship team in Old miss.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
I just don't agree with that. I can't.
Speaker 6 (05:32):
I can't blame him if he leaves you're opposed to,
but I just totally disagree just because the history of
a program, you're going to win a national championship. It's
about the coaches in the players.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
Tradition get you the players. Though, because look at Boozer's
son at Duke he's at because his legacy, well his.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
Daddy went there. That's different. But it's the three gig
that they have in that tradition. Hey, pleax, you know
you know how I can if we grew up, how
we grew up?
Speaker 4 (06:06):
Right?
Speaker 2 (06:06):
You you put yourself in a position. Are you not
gonna move to a better neighborhood, a better house, a
bigger house. I get it, I tell you. And that's
that's all he's doing. He just moved into a better neighborhood.
He moved into a better neighborhood. I understand exactly what
you're saying. It happened to me. It happened to me.
(06:27):
I was playing.
Speaker 6 (06:27):
I had a really good we had a really good
team up there in east Landson in eighty eight. I mean,
I'm sorry, eighty eight, that's cuffs, Aaron. We had a
pretty good team up there in Michigan State.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Man.
Speaker 6 (06:44):
And in ninety eight ninety nine, Man, we go ten
and two. You know, we'd beat Oregon, Michigan, Ohio State,
Penn State, not the Dame, and Florida, and our coach
walked out the door, and obviously the rest was history.
He went down to LSU, won a national championship and
then went on the Alabama and the rest is history.
(07:07):
So I do get it. I understand go where the
money's at, But I really honestly believe that if Nick
Saban would have stayed where we were with myself, such
Irbent and the team that we had number one rank
depense in the country at the time, we had an
opportunity to compete for a national championship just because of
(07:27):
the meal fact of who the coach was at the time.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Well, I'm withod cuffs. I'm gone. We're gonna get on
to what took place. Yesterday. Ad made his return to
the Mavericks and he played Lebron Luca nar fifteen. It
didn't go too well. What's your take on eighty's return?
(07:50):
I mean it coming off an injury, but the way
the Lakers looked offensively.
Speaker 5 (07:58):
Man, last night, for one, I was sad watching Ad.
I don't know if y'all saw the video after the
game where Ruey Hodger Moore was hugging my guy, and
you can see that he still has feelings and you
can see it on his face. Man, he wants to
be a part of this because, as I've said on
the program on this show last couple of weeks, the
(08:19):
showtime Lakers are back. Man, the Lakers have three all
stars right now, Plaxico Burds, they have three all Stars.
And as I mentioned on previous shows, as you saw
last night, Lebron James is just he's playing family man
basketball right now. He's not having to exert or over
exert energy. He can coast right now. Because honestly, right now, y'all,
(08:44):
if you're watching Lebron, he's setting screens, he's catching his shoe,
he's doing all the little things. He's passing. But this
right here is essentially his training camp. He's getting in
shape right now. So we're not going to see an
optimal with Lebron James until about I will say, after
the New year. Man he gets ramped up. You know,
it's he's an OLDES mobile. Now, He's a forty year
(09:05):
old olds mobile, you know in the garage right now.
That's gonna take them, take him a little time to
one up.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
But not the old couple of Supreme.
Speaker 5 (09:13):
If you look at low Carb Luca right now, I
mean last night, thirty five points, eleven assists, five rebounds,
I mean he's top three in the MVP discussion right
now with SGA and Yoka. In my opinion, that's the
top three in the NVP race. But the Lakers, I mean,
Austin Reeves, we've never seen a team this last night
was the first time ever we've seen two players on
(09:33):
Lebron's team score over thirty five points, the first time
in all twenty one years or twenty two years of Lebron, well,
twenty three years of Lebron in the NBA, we've never
seen two of his teammates have thirty five points or
more in the game. So that tells you he's able
to sit back now and coast and I think it's
gonna it's gonna reap a lot of bit of dividends
(09:55):
and later in the season because he's gonna have fresh legs,
the oldest player in the league. It's gonna have fresh legs.
But I will say this, guys, the Lakers are still
one piece away. DJ. I think one piece away.
Speaker 6 (10:09):
There are a few pieces away. I mean, let's just
be honest that they're playing well right now. Well, look,
Baron missed the ten off first ten or fifteen games,
so he's still relatively fresh. We'll see how you know
he feels after the All Star break and you know,
time management, taking games off, things of those such because
that time is going to come for him. But what
(10:29):
I do want to say is that the OKC thunder Man,
Jalen Williams, came back. Obviously, he struggled a little bit
last night with the eleven points. He went three for
twelve for shooting.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
Man.
Speaker 6 (10:38):
The OKC thunder has been playing so well this year
that you forgot Jalen Wis was out. I really honestly did,
because the way that they've been playing man through these
first twenty games, with ten eleven games.
Speaker 4 (10:53):
In a row or whatever the case may be.
Speaker 6 (10:56):
They added him back, you know, to the roster, to
the team, and I just have no other thought is
that they're just going to continue to get even better
as these young men continue to jail together, you know,
moving forward to the future. I just think right now
(11:16):
in the Western Conference and of the Eastern Conference, and
you know, it's tough to you know, to get off
that super Bowl horse and to start all over again
because you never know which way that this season can
go off of.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
Off of a championship with.
Speaker 6 (11:32):
The young guys, you know, you know, be a little
you know, get a little lady to say, you know,
we just win a championship. But they look even better
than what they did last year. When the season started,
they like they in playoff mode and Jay Lowiams is back,
and I just think right now, man head over Heels,
(11:53):
they are the best basketball team in the NBA Eastern Conference,
Western Conference.
Speaker 4 (11:59):
Who Elver's healthy, it doesn't matter.
Speaker 6 (12:02):
I just think that the OKC have the best chance
right now from what I can remember, to go win
back to back World championships.
Speaker 5 (12:12):
Flack, they look like a Weld oil machine. I know
both of you guys have been in gyms and seeing
AAU tournaments all across the country, and you know when
you come across the AAU team just like a Weld
oil machine. And they have chemistry. If you watch the Stunner,
they're nineteen and one. Like you said, they just got
j Dubb back in the lineup. AJ Mitchell got hurt
last night, but you had guys stepping up every night,
(12:34):
Casey Wallace. So a lot of guys going under the radar.
Isaiah Joe who the Sixers had a few years ago,
they gave him away. They're taking all these undrafted guys
the second round picks, and Sam Presley has done a
masterful job of just putting the pieces together, and I
think we can see a realistic chance of them winning
seventy games, because how do you beat this team. There's
(12:55):
no flaws. They have Alex Caruso coming off the bench,
who is a All World All NBA defensive player, and
he can knock down shot like you. You can't beat
these team. There's no kick in their armor. And we
had the NBA Cup coming up and the Lakers. We
got the Lakers and Spurs December tenth, and we got
Thunder and Sons. If the Thunder and Lakers both win
(13:18):
those quarterfinal games of the NBA Cup, we're gonna get
the match up. I feel like everybody wants to see
in the West. Right now, Ron is back. You know,
he's in the mix. So I want to see how
the Lakers stack up because that's gonna let Rob Polinka
in the front office know what moves they need to make,
because we saw what happened last time they played. Okay, see,
they pretty much took the Lakers to the woodshed. So
(13:41):
I think this NBA Cup it's like more of a
playoff intensity. So I'm looking I'm looking forward to that
matchup if we get to see.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
It, I said, let me ask you that you said
the Lakers you felt were one piece away. What piece
are they missing?
Speaker 5 (13:59):
I would love to rapel link. I know you're listening
right now. I know you followed me up. I know
you followed me on your burner accounts. Brother christ listen
to me. Well, you have to call Miami. You have
to call part Rawley, you have to call the maestro
down there in South Peach and say, look, let us
(14:20):
get Andrew Wiggins. What do you want. Let's hop on
a zoom called Pat Andrew Wiggins. I feel like the
Lakers are missing that athletic wings. And let's say if
Pat Rowley says no, he hangs up the phone, we
can call the Memphreds Grizzlies. I'm saying, we like the nation.
We can call the Messick Grizzly and we can say, hey,
(14:41):
that guy right there, Santi al Dama. See, those are
the underrated pieces that you can win the championship with.
Let's call the min Frids Grizzly and ask what they
want for hold Dama. But to asker your question, they
just need some more athleticism on the wings. Jake Laravia
has done a great job stepping in, but you gotta
get a player that's a little bit better, a little
(15:02):
bit more athletic than him knocked down for more shots.
But I mean the Lakers, man, if you're a Laker
right now, Laker fan, the vibes are mac of it
right now. TJ. I'm watching the guys after the game,
Austin Reeves and Luca Donnis. I mean, these guys are
having fun. DeAndre Ayton, Are you watching him? He's playing
his role perfectly right now at the center position. We
(15:22):
saw last night. So I just I just think it's
gotta make one more move man, and I would love
to see Andrew Wiggins or maybe Aldama from the Grizzlies.
Speaker 6 (15:32):
Heyo, I'm gonna get back to the OKCE. What you saying,
you're running to that well or machine. But I just
think man quiet has kept these young men and nobody
within this team or organization is talking about it, but
behind closed doors, they're saying to themselves, we want that
(15:52):
seventy three and nine record, that Golden State set back
in twenty and fifteen. I really honest believe that that
to that because they want to go down in history
as this young, you know, you know, great basketball team
moving forward, nobody's going to talk about it publicly, But
I just have a I just I just feel like
(16:14):
these young men have a sense of what they are
looking for and what they are pushing to achieve, and
they want to get that that Chicago Bulls seventy two
and ten it was, and then Golden State ended up
beating it in twenty fifteen with the seventy.
Speaker 4 (16:31):
Three and nine.
Speaker 6 (16:32):
I believe from a regular regular season standpoint that that
is what those young men are chasing.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
TJ Oklahoma City Bro is there. They're to the point
where they gonna win seventy games. It's just a matter
can they maintain great health to go seventy four and eight,
seventy five and seven. To me, if you exert yourself
(17:03):
that much during the regular season, does it hamper you
or harm you in the postseason? That's the key. Are
you going for regular season success or are you trying
to say, Okay, let's make sure we win a championship.
But what will help them is what you said. All
them dudes is young. All them dudes are young, and
(17:25):
they can go ten deep and still run you out
the gym because they plan ten guys, They plan not
only ten guys, But who the oldest player in their rotation?
Would it be Hartenstein?
Speaker 5 (17:37):
Yeah? Hartenstein probably?
Speaker 2 (17:38):
Yeah, And so to me, it's very it's possible. It's possible.
I just don't. You don't want to get into a
chasing regular season greatness and end up having a postseason failure.
That to me is going to have to be managed
and managed the correct way.
Speaker 5 (17:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (17:58):
That.
Speaker 5 (18:02):
When I was watching them play the Lakers, I was like, Lebron,
the Lakers have three guys that can score pretty much
twenty five or thirty, and I still don't feel like
they can beat this OKC team four out of seven times. Like,
who can beat them? That's the simple question. Denver the Rockets,
who can beat this team four times out of seven times?
(18:22):
I just don't think it's possible. If everybody's healthy across
the board, I don't see it happening.
Speaker 4 (18:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
Well, that's why we play the games. And we got
to add a little game day to every day Louisiana
Hot Sauce game Day's rule. And when you add the
handcrafted tang of the original Louisiana Hot sauce for your food,
it doesn't matter what dad is. It becomes a little
more like a game day. Poor a handcraft the recipe
(18:49):
on pizza, and you'll feel like leaping up for the
recliner to clap dropping on wings and every bite will
hit you with the same euphoria you feel when your
team's wide out toe drags for touchdown dashed. The simple
three ingredients of the original Louisiana Hot Sauce onto your
plate and you'll turn any old Tuesday into a tailgate,
(19:09):
complete with all the crawfish you can stuff in your face.
With almost one hundred year legacy of turning winning dishes
in a championship ones, the original Louisiana Hot Sauce is
kind of like your foods Lucky Jersey, So no matter
what the day is down your team's colors, fire up
the grill and grab the original Louisiana Hot Sauce. Add
(19:31):
a little game data. Every day that's Louisiana Hot. Buy

of the original Louisiana Hot Sauce. That's Louisiana Hot. Buy

Speaker 8 (20:53):
Thank you so much? TJ Cuffs hallo, what's going on?
Speaker 3 (20:59):
How are you doing?
Speaker 5 (21:01):
How many pounds did you gain? Over things?
Speaker 8 (21:03):
Give too many? It was like a bottomless pit. I
couldn't believe it. You know what it helps when you're
not the one making the meal. So shout out, shout
out to my mother in law. The green Mean casserole
was surprisingly fantastic, first time I ever had it. But
(21:24):
enough sentimentality, Cuffs, you know what I need you to
do for me, Cuffs, I need you to hop on
one of your fleet of private jets, get down to
get down ole miss, and can you tell Lane Kiffin
to just hurry up already and decide while my shift
is going on, so I could be the one to
(21:45):
break the news to America. Okay, good? I mean, just
just tell the pilot to step on it. You'll be
there by the end of the show.
Speaker 3 (21:52):
Trust me.
Speaker 8 (21:52):
I appreciate that, Cuffs, and it's private jets always there
for Fox Sports Radios. On to a game going on
right now in ann Arbor, Ohio State holding a ten
to nine lead over Michigan, five twenty four left to
play in the first half. Ohio State has the ball
(22:12):
right down first and ten at their thirteen yard line.
But here is how they took the lead in this game.
Speaker 5 (22:17):
Julian Sam gets the snap back to throw, saying looks
saying fires down the right sideline for Jeremiah Smith. He's
got it inside the ten and into the end zone
for a touchdown Jeremiah Smith thirty five yards.
Speaker 8 (22:29):
The dulcet tones of Paul Keels with the call on
WBNS tones almost as dulcet as cuffs again. Number one
Ohio State up ten to nine over fifteenth ranked to
Michigan under five minutes to go in the second quarter.
Fifth rank Texas Tech twenty eight to nothing at West
Virginia with one forty nine left of the second quarter.
Twelfth ranked Miami as a seventeen to seven lead at
(22:52):
number twenty two pit they've got one twenty left to
play in the second quarter. And how about this Central
Florida out to a fourteen to lead at eleventh ranked
and ten and one BYU with three and a half
left to play in the first quarter. In the NFL,
Detroit Lions, four time Pro Bowl center Frank Ragnow, who
came out of retirement on Wednesday, has failed a physical
(23:14):
because of a Grade three hamstring string that means he
will not be rejoining the Lions after all. The Indianapolis
Colts today I had a tied end Tyler Warren to
their injury report due to illness. They've listed him as
questionable for Sunday Night's game against the Houston Texans. Cuts
back to sorry TJ and plax back to.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
You, guys, Hey, let's get into this, cuffs because it's
not many people talking about this, and some said it
may have been in and the end of an era.
They acquire Jimmy Butler, went on a low run late
season into the playoffs. The Warriors are struggling. Curry is out.
(23:56):
What do you for, Like, how do you see this
Warrior season going? Steph Curry out? They already were struggling.
What's them in the lineup? Man? What happens now moving forward?
Speaker 5 (24:09):
I mean the Warriors are sitting here at ten and
ten right now. Man, They're just a regular team now.
And I've been saying this for two years now. They've
done a total disservice to Steph Curry his final couple
of years. Because Steph is getting up there in age,
just like Lebron, just like Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, these
guys have been in the Steph Curry is like year seventeen.
I think so, Steph Curry is not a spring chicken anymore.
(24:33):
And Mike Dunlevy and those guys. Ever since Bob Myers
has left that organization, it has went downhill as far
as player personnel moves. I mean, we all thought that
Al Horford move would be somewhat of a decent move.
You added a veteran for Al Horford. He's washed, man, Yeah,
he's washed. I mean the sacond Off strangler, Mike Guy,
(24:53):
dre you know dre Is. He's still drey Mond, but
he he's a shell of his former self. We see
Clayton Pousson, they ship them off. They shipped Jordan Poole off.
It's so many questionable front office moves over the years,
and I feel like Steph Curry is just floundering right
now in the abyss of mediocrity, because where do you
(25:14):
go from here? Because look at the teams A bove
you in the West, You're not better than Minnesota. The
Phoenix Sons have been a surprise. Shout out to the
head coach, Jordan Art, the rookie head coach. He got
the Sons, Huban, who knew the Phoenix Sons would be
top six in the West. You got Denver. You know,
Yokichi's top three in the MVP got the you got
my San Antonio Spurs. Devin Pattill last night went crazy
(25:37):
against the Nuggets. He's looking like a young Latrell Spree. Well,
the Spurs are winning without Stefan Castle, without Weinby, you
got the Houston Rockets winning without KD. You got the Lakers,
you got the thunder. So what are you going to
do with your go to State? Like you're just floundering
right now? Like I said in an Abyss of Mediocrity.
So Steph Curry would never come out and say it
(25:58):
publicly because he's never been that type of player, that
type of guy, you know, anytimes there's chaos or tourmro
in that building, he's always remained quiet. So I think
he's just gonna go out gracefully. And it's kind of
sad to see man, because we've seen performances this year
from step to still show us he is still one
of those guys. You know, he's still a superstar. But
(26:21):
I don't know, Man, and somebody who you know used
to root against Golden State all those years when they
win against Lebron on the Caves. But it's it's kind
of funny to it's kind of it's kind of funny
to tea that ship go down in flames, and it's
kind of funny though, But I kind of hated for
step though as a real fan of the game, I do.
Speaker 6 (26:38):
Hell, couse, man, let's switch conference, man to the Eastern Conference,
and let's talk.
Speaker 5 (26:42):
About yeah plaque man, Yeah, let's.
Speaker 6 (26:44):
Talk about let's talk about let's talk about this team
that's flying under the radar that nobody's really talking about,
the Toronto Raptor. They right now second in the Eastern Conference.
They fourteen and five. Obviously, you get RJ. Barrett from
the next couple of years ago, he's back home playing
in Canada. Scottie Barnes athletic wing. You acquired Brandon Ingram
(27:05):
from the Pelicans, Colin Mary Bulls, and you get Elijah
Martin fresh out of Florida. Man, what are they doing offensively?
That's creating so many problems, you know, for these teams
that they're playing against. But nobody is really taking the
Toronto Rappers seriously because one, nobody really gets to see
(27:27):
them a lot because they playing Canada. But I really
believe moving forward, men, Hey, they're long, they're athletic. Nobody's
talking about it. So what are they doing to create
all these problems with these teams that they're playing against.
Speaker 5 (27:40):
I mean, first off, I can say these are my
Toronto Raptors, because when the season first started, I tweeted
that the Raptors were going to be really good this
year once they got their chemistry together with Brandon ingram RJ. Barrett,
My Duke brothers shot to Duke University, the greatest basketball
program in America. As you're seeing right now now, Brandon
(28:00):
ingram RJ. Barrett was out of the lineup a couple
of games. But you have Emmanuel quickly stepping up. He's
providing that scoring punch. You got, you got Jacob Portle,
you got you got a big man who's versatile, and
they've won nine straight games. They won nine straight skates
playing their way. And you got Scottie Barnes, the utility box.
(28:20):
He can do everything across the board, score, rebound, assists.
And we got to give credit to the coach Darko.
Their coach Darko. He came up through the ranks, the
coaching ranks. He used to be an assistant coach for
the OKC thunder Under You know understand Precis Hole regime,
and he's really imprinted his coach or on the Rappers
right now. Their top four in offense, their top seven
(28:41):
in defensive rating. So when you could find those two
man they're playing defense. They got a great home crowd.
You know. I went to a game. I watched the
finals a couple of years back when they played Golden State,
and I saw that crowd for the first time of
my life, man, and it kind of reminded me of Dude,
it's like a college atmosphere. It's not an Emmy, it's
not your your typical NBA atmosphere of the game. Is
(29:02):
more like a crazy college atmosphere at these these Raptor games.
So the city is behind them, like you say, Plats.
They don't really play on national TV too much, but
they're in the NBA Cup quarterfinals. So the whole world
is going to get to see Brandon Ingram right now
because he's playing at the all star level right now
for the Raptors. He's looking like he's looking like Kevin Durant.
(29:23):
I said this, he can do pretty much everything Kevin
Durant can do right now offensively. Brandon Ingram Gang.
Speaker 2 (29:29):
Right So when when you look at the Eastern Conference.
Then the surprise teams would be obviously Toronto Raptors. That
Plax just said, the Trait Pistons, Miami and.
Speaker 6 (29:42):
The Cleveland cavin Lives for the let down the season
that they're having so far, I believe so well.
Speaker 2 (29:47):
That's what That's where I was going. Many thought, Okay,
Tatum is probably gonna miss the seas and Hallaburn go
messis season, So the Celtics and the Pacers were thought
to struggle. Did anybody think the Cleveland Cavaliers would struggle
this much? I know Darius Garland isn't playing yet, but
(30:08):
did he Does he mean as much to the team?
And what do you make of their struggles and the
surprise teams being the Raptors.
Speaker 5 (30:17):
I would put more of the cave situation with their
health right, they've been They've had guys coming in and
out of the lineup. Darius Garland just came back about
two games ago. He played well in his first game back,
but sure you're still trying to get him acclimated with
the way they play. My issue with the Cavs is
been this way for two years straight. They're not physical,
(30:38):
they don't play with any physicality and I put that
on the shoulders of Evan Mobley and Jared Allen. You
have two seven footers who are very finess type gigs.
They don't want to really bang in the paint. They
don't want to get dirty. Sometimes that's the that's the
real issue for the Caves. But I feel like once
they get healthy, DeAndre hunters On he's playing well for them.
(30:58):
Lozo Ball has played surprise definitely well. He's being he
stayed healthy. The Caps are going to be one of
the top four when it's when the smoke clears. But
I want to give some shoutouts right now that Eric
Spolcher in the Miami Heat. They've won six games in
a row, Man, and I just want to say, are
we sleeping on the Miami Heat again, because it seems
like every couple of years the Miami Heat just go
(31:18):
in the shadows and they re emerged, They they retooled,
they reinvent themselves. And Eric Sponser has the who. He
he has the who. The Heat hooping right now, I mean,
you look.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
At the row that that pat Riley fleece the clippers
of Norman Powell. Did they fleece them?
Speaker 5 (31:34):
Yeah, exactly. So you're looking at the roster. There's no
superstar names. TJ. Like, it's Norm Powell. I mean, Tyler
he Rode was an All Star last year. Bam is
All Star. But these guys are not like super super
household names. You've got khalil Ware, who's looking like an
offensively more skilled Tyson Chandler than me right now, BAM,
Like I said, he's a top three defender in the NBA.
(31:57):
And Norm Powell, Like, what were the Clippers? What were
the La Totenail Clippers thinking when they got rid of Norman? Clippers?
They not they can use them right now?
Speaker 2 (32:07):
Right, Hey, cops, they really wanted Bradley bell Man, so
they said, we got to get rid of a guy
at average twenty. They get a guy that couldn't he
can't stay healthy, and look what happened now.
Speaker 5 (32:18):
Hey, speaking of the Clippers real quick, all the Clipper
fans listening out there in Cali. The Clippers are two
and twelve right now, the last fortunes. By the way,
so I said this on Twitter, it's time to blow
it all up. Let's trade Jane Pardon to Houston. They
need a point guard. It'll be a perfect shit at
this time of his career. Right, look at zuba Let's
(32:39):
let's get Zubac. Let's ship Zubak to Boston, and let's
seeing Kawhi Leonard to the Sacramento Kings. That's blowing up, man.
Speaker 6 (32:46):
Cause you need to be a general manager somewhere, man, somebody,
somebody man with a general manager. But just in the
front office, man, you got all the right moves.
Speaker 5 (32:55):
Hey, A lot of people have told me that, Blaque,
so it's all in due time.
Speaker 2 (32:59):
Hey.
Speaker 6 (32:59):
But speaking of moves, man, were talking about Darius Galland
and obviously he hasn't been playing, and how bad the
Cleveland Cavaliers has been doing. And you talk about how
much Jason Tatum meant, we all know what he is
on the floor when he's playing for the Boss and
Celtis men. But I didn't think, honestly, I did not
think that the absence of Tyre's Halliburton would have the
(33:22):
Indiana Pacers that rank fourteen for three and fourteen, I
believe right now in the Eastern Conference, you trade away
Miles Turner and they look like a shell of a
basketball team. Well, speaking of which, I've heard some information
that the Indiana Pacers are trying to acquire Jonathan Kaminga
(33:45):
from the Golden State Warriors. That but that's a whole
other subject. But so are the Indiana Pacers just basically
just throwing the season in saying, you know what, we
don't have Halliburton. We're just gonna go out and play
these basketball games and just be okay with being thirteen
fourteenth in the Eastern Conference. But man, it's amazing to
(34:09):
me how one player can affect like the whole camaraderie
you know, of a basketball team. And I think that's
what we're witnessing right now with the Indiana Pacers and
the apse of the Halliburton.
Speaker 5 (34:23):
Because he's a traditional point guard man and he's a
real engine. He's an engine for their team, like scorer
and assistant three, hitting the threes, just galvanizing the team.
And that's what they're missing because right now you see
Benedict Matherin and Tiakam, those guys are just playing for
numbers now. They're just trying to get points and get
sat because to be real with you, a lot of
(34:44):
these teams right now are trying to tank because look
at the top three draft prospects we have. We got
aj but I can't pronounce this man. We got the
kids from byu AJ, we got Caleb Wilson to UNC,
yet we have Cameron Boozer at Dukes. I mean, it's
so many young players out here, so why not just
taking through the pacers? But Plaxico Burds, you thought I
(35:05):
was gonna let you off the hook today? Right? What
is going on with George Milwaukee Bucks right now? Because
they've lost seven in a row. And I watched the
game last night against the Mix on Prime Time own
on Prime Video and Jannis was in the locker room
Crime last night after the game. He said, you know,
(35:26):
he's not used to losing seven in a row. So
I feel like we're getting some encrypted Yannis right now?
What do you think he's saying when he says.
Speaker 6 (35:36):
I want to know it trade me. I really honestly
believe that we're getting some encrypted beyond this. And I
think one of the you know, one of the crutches
for johnis moving forward with that organization is what is
that he wanted to remain Lloyd to the to the
organization and continue to build that championship resume in Milwaukee.
Speaker 4 (35:59):
We saw a couple of year years ago.
Speaker 6 (36:00):
When my main Dame Dahla went over there, and as
soon as I saw that, I was like, oh man,
they're automatic contended to get to the NBA Finals and
that never happened.
Speaker 4 (36:11):
Dame is back in Portland now, and.
Speaker 6 (36:13):
You're looking at this ross and I think of me,
you know what, Me and you watching that last night
with a grown man crying in the NBA locker room.
Speaker 2 (36:22):
He's thinking back to.
Speaker 6 (36:24):
When he had out to be able to be traded
out of Milwaukee, but he wanted to stay. And I
think that move right there hurt him going forward with
his career of being talked about as one of the
great players in this league, which he is now, but
from a championship, Petigren, from a championship, you know, being
(36:49):
looked at Milwaukee is not a destination for him. I
thought they were wanting to be better this year, could
or not, but I believe, like eight and twelve, they
lost seven in a row. And here you one of
the top three players in the world crying in the
NBA locker room because he lost a regular season game,
knowing that they don't have a chance to compete for
(37:11):
a world championship.
Speaker 4 (37:13):
And you know that he's.
Speaker 6 (37:14):
Going out there on the court every single night, and
he's giving you everything he got, but he doesn't have
the surrounding, uh, but the guys around him.
Speaker 4 (37:23):
To be able to get to that level. So I can,
I can.
Speaker 6 (37:27):
I can foresee after this season that Yan is at
some point in You're at some point in your career.
You got to be selfish and say to the organization
and to the world.
Speaker 4 (37:38):
I want to be traded.
Speaker 6 (37:40):
And you can't blame them because there's no way they
should be in this space of losing seven straight games
with the players that they have on his team.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
Well they they they they better figure this out. Yan's
gonna be gone, but we're gonna take a break and
then we're gonna get that on game down. On game
well really some that I dominate, and we'll get into
that in a few minutes. But if you miss any
