Speaker 5 (00:50):
Sunday to you. Hope your day is off to a
fantastic start. Good morning Jeff, Good morning Crack. I know
the Schwartz syndicate in a good mood today thanks to
Navy hooking.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
Them up in the first quarter yesterday. Right, very nice.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
How about that first quarter under Army Navy and it's
seven nothing, Navy Army has the ball that the seven
yard lined, one play left in the quarter. All right,
it's it's a it's a it's a passing team. I
mean was running team, right, you know the other're gonna
run the football. No, no, they passed the ball, quarterback scrambles.
(01:25):
Get them down. I'm like screaming, get him down, get
him down, get him down. Tackle the two yard line.
Quarter is over seven nothing never easy, It's never easy,
never easy. But I cashed it.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Crack that you yelled get him down.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Oh yeah, I was like full, like full, like fan
in the crowd.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
Yeah, get him down.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
No, I mean he dodged a guy dipped, you know, dodge, dip,
all the all the things, and uh but we got
home there. Unfortunately, I watched too much college basketball yesterday
and just want to pull my hair out with that sport.
I've determined college basketball, outside of the top teams in
the country, just comes down to which team can avoid
(02:08):
not scoring for five minutes. If that team can avoid
the five minute loll where they don't score, then they're
gonna win the game. But like if the sports or
that to me feels that simple. If you can avoid
the five minutes where we don't score, you're in the game.
Speaker 6 (02:23):
Jeff, Jeff text me last night about he had a
seven minute.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
I had Idaho plus twelve and a half. Okay, I
was fading the voice. It's it's your irish, of course,
it's it's a seven point game with seven minutes left,
and Idaho did not score a single point the rest
of the game.
Speaker 6 (02:46):
Come on.
Speaker 5 (02:48):
That.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
I put it on in the last like three minutes. Yeah,
I was like, oh, just anything, I'll take any basket,
just any story basket you can find. Idaho, please make
it happen. Just just never happened, just never. They didn't
score for the last seven minutes of the game. That's
and that's how all these games are. Team just go
on these incredible runs. And of course, like you know,
twenty point leaders never say, right, simm NBA, by the way,
(03:12):
happens NBA. But sure the no scoring for five to
seven minutes happens every college basketball game.
Speaker 6 (03:17):
Wow, oh it does. And the reason why I was
laughing is because one of the words you said, I've
been using that word for years, using that that sentence
for years, like nothing's ever easy. Why isn't there ever
a cigar game on our side? Why aren't we ever
part of And I guess we we are, but we
just don't remember that. But right, how come it just
(03:38):
doesn't like.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
Never happened one never one time. Today when when Seattle
wins by forty five, that'll be the.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
One that happens.
Speaker 6 (03:47):
Just sit back and say, wow, look at this at
the first half of the game. You know, you go,
let's say you go over forty three and it's forty
four in the first half. That's what that's like impossible,
I know, but it just seems like we're never on
those sides.
Speaker 5 (04:02):
You know what's funny crack is it's like you kind
of have amnesia when that does happen, right, And then
also what happens is you kind of freak out, like
oh oh, here comes the comeback, right, like you're never
quite comfortable. For instance, I had my fins last week
against the Jets, and that was like put your hands
behind your head, like put your feet on the desk.
(04:24):
It's like, this is that's cake right, it's thirty four
to ten, but that the Dolphins were up twenty one
to nothing and all of a sudden, it's twenty one
to seven and I'm like uh oh, uh oh, you know,
like right, So I felt that even though it was
still like a cakewalk win. So my point is you
just don't remember the cakewalk wins as much, and then
even during the cakewalk wins, you don't quite know it
(04:47):
is a cakewalk win. Sometimes you know it does work
out like that.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
I surely thought that the opposite is true. You know,
immediately when you do lose a wager, like I was
on Breezie last night, that's dead, Like you just knew
like seven minutes and you're like, yeah, that's not gonna
work today. That happens, I think far more often than
in a way around where it's like, oh, you know,
that's an easy winner today, except again Seattle later today.
(05:11):
Other than that, I think that every NFL game is
gonna be hard as usual on Sundays.
Speaker 5 (05:17):
By the way, crack, can you think what you yell again?
I can't get over this. Jeff says it right, like
get him down, last last play the first quarter, he
needs a tackle to preserve his first quarter under bet.
You know I would yell like hit him, get him right,
I would yell hit him, But Jeff's.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Well better like four tackles.
Speaker 5 (05:40):
It doesn't mean he's gonna They're gonna tackle him and
he's gonna be down, Like get him down makes more sense.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
Do you know what you yell crack.
Speaker 6 (05:45):
Yeah, I'm not really a guy that yells at all,
very rarely. I mean, and the stuff that I do watch,
I just it is what it is, you know. I
kinda as you could see, the stress does not do
me good. Uh, Jeff doesn't know this. And when I
went out to breakfast with Brian, Uh, yesterday, I punctured
(06:06):
a I don't know something in my eye. My eye
was like all blood shot, and yeah, I went to
uh walk in clinic. I was down in Florida, and
uh the doctor was just like, uh so, what are
you doing down here? And he goes, maybe this this
happens from stress sometimes stress I'd have I'd have bloodshot
(06:29):
eyes every weekend if it was from strets. So you can.
But the doctor, you know, it's amazing they all gam out, Brian,
I didn't tell you this. So I walked into the
walking clinic and the doctor, of course, is a gambler.
Of course. I mean, it's amazing how many of these
doctors are not saying he was a degenerate gambler. But uh,
(06:51):
I said, you know, I was capturing some futures and
at the sports book that I met earlier, and this said, oh,
what'd you have check out the eye first. Just let
me know what the and then we'll talk about all
the But he was like, and then like I swear,
at the end, he was like, if you have anything good,
can you let me know. I'll give you my cell number.
I forgot that. I forgot to even tell you this.
But anyway, yeah, it's amazing, it's amazing. But uh yeah,
(07:14):
so I I a blood vessel, that's the right word.
But I've done only I think I does one time
in my life. But it's from doing anything. You could
sneeze wrong. Uh, of course I talked to my doctor.
I'm friends with a doctor here. I lived lived two
houses away from a doctor. And uh he actually said, Bill,
you could sneeze wrong. Don't bend over when you sneeze.
He was like, just you know, you have to almost
(07:35):
like hold. As you get older, you have to hold
yourself when you sneeze. I was like, what I thought
my grandfather did that you hold? He's like no, and uh, anyway,
just uh yeah, So I punctured a blood vessel in
my eye and like, yeah, it doesn't even hurt. I
can't even feel anything unless feels fine. You know what
I did?
Speaker 5 (07:54):
I did have a flashback to when we all were
in Cincinnati.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
This is what a couple of years ago, two years ago.
Speaker 5 (08:00):
Yeah, we were at the sports book there, the bet
MGM sports book right there where the Bengals play. Actually
it was in the Red Stadium like the Great American
Ball time.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
Yeah, and I'll never forget.
Speaker 5 (08:11):
I can't remember which direction Crack said, but with the
Dolphins hosting the Jets, and he needed a missed field goal,
and Crack, he's right, he's not yelling, he's not.
Speaker 6 (08:21):
Like, miss it.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Miss, I go booty, boody, boody.
Speaker 5 (08:24):
That's what I go. Right, But I can say booty
right right before he kicks it. But Crack just goes,
he goes miss left right before he kicked it, and
the guy sure.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
Enough missed it.
Speaker 5 (08:34):
I can't remember which direction, but that was as animated
as crack.
Speaker 6 (08:37):
God.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
It wasn't like.
Speaker 6 (08:38):
Yeah, you know, yes, And if you go to any
sports book any Sunday here in Vegas or anywhere, I
tell you I'll even use the hard rock matter of fact,
being down there, Wow, it was the sports book with
a little tiny sports book, but uh, the actual counter
and then then going to the counter, the actual place
where you watch the games, people are and yelling in there,
(09:02):
throwing things at the screens. I couldn't believe that, but
I mean they you know, they're no one going out
of control. But it's it's it's everybody. So it's not
I'm the abnormal one. It's just it's everyone screaming and yelling.
I have no emotion in the game because that being emotional,
I feel will make you bet something differently down the line.
Speaker 7 (09:24):
Right.
Speaker 6 (09:24):
And like I always say, when we were kids, we
were teaching, we were taught to win at monopoly and
checkers and whatever it may be. And we don't like
to go to bed losing as a little kid, and
that follows us to our ideo lescens and even now
in life, you don't like losing. Uh, And now there's
(09:44):
money on the line, it could be very scary for people.
They can they can really get emotional and screaming, yell,
and it does nothing. Gives you a sword throw and
a headache. How many times have you went to a
game or something and came home with a sword throat
and said, why did I do that? What good comes
out of that?
Speaker 8 (10:01):
You know?
Speaker 6 (10:02):
Even winning it just you know, it could be a
it could be a taxing on your on your health.
Speaker 5 (10:08):
So well, I will say this, the Week fifteen slate
in the NFL is fantastic. There are some great games,
and we will be knee deep in the preview of
these great games. But we normally start off the show
with some college football, right. Typically it's a reaction of
some of the bigger games and bigger things that have happened.
Very light schedule yesterday, so it's more of a preview.
(10:30):
We've actually we're here and said what we said about
Notre Dame not getting in and Bama not slipping at all.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
We've been there, done that.
Speaker 5 (10:38):
But what's interesting is when we do the show next Sunday,
four college football playoff games will be in the books. Right,
So we've got a game next Friday, this coming Friday,
which is Alabama Oklahoma, and then there's a triple header
on Saturday. It's Miami and Texas A and m then
Tulane and Old Miss and then Jeff's Ducks host James Madison.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
So I guess what I will ask you, guys, is
what do.
Speaker 5 (11:04):
You think we're gonna be talking about the most next Sunday?
After these four first round games are in the books.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
Unfortunately, it's probably gonna be the group of five discussions.
Speaker 5 (11:17):
Still okay, where it's yeah.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
Why are we doing this? That's that's my best guess.
You know, I'm sure there's gonna be the people that
are like, well no, no, dame would have lost that bat. Well, yeah,
we know that, like we know that. But I think
it's gonna be I think it's gonna be that, Brian.
I think it's gonna be a lot of like cee cee,
I told you guys that they shouldn't be in Look,
(11:43):
I I've tried every which way, like to preview in
my brain JMU and Oregon, Like, I've tried my best.
I've watched them JMU film. Even people that you know
that are like to make the numbers. They're texting me like, Hi,
Jamu's defense, I I guess their nose tackle is six one,
(12:05):
three fifty, right, like like we're just gonna get him
out to the pay he can't move right like what? Like,
I just the every player on Oregon's team is the
best player jam Us seen at that position the entire season.
There is not one player on that team, jam us
(12:26):
team that has seen a better player at that position
than what they're gonna face stay in Austin. I don't
want to be like mean about it, but as someone
who previous these games for a living, I don't know
what to say. I don't know what to say about
old Miss Tulane. I'm gonna joke this week with somebody's
like if if half the team gets gets dysentery, maybe
(12:46):
it's a game. Like I don't know what else to say,
and like that to me is not good for the sport, right,
it's not good for the sport to we have four
playoff games. One of them is a rematch that really
no one wants to watch in Alabama Oklahoma, I mean
wants to It's seven teen fourteen. I wants to watch that.
No one wants to watch that game in Miami watchable,
very good game, old Miss tu Lane. Look it's like, ah,
(13:10):
well Lane's not there. Maybe they start slow? Yeah, and
then you have Oregon JM. You like I just I
and so I think the discussion, unfortunately, is going to
go a lot back to like see, like I told
you they shouldn't be in and no one, no one
says otherwise, like we all agree that that the system
is broken. And so I think that I think that
discussion for me, Brian, I'm curious, what do you think
(13:31):
it is.
Speaker 6 (13:31):
For you, Jeff. And before I let Brian answer, one
of my guys text me. He says, I know Jeff
thinks Oregon wins this one in a blowout, but don't
be surprised if jam you keeps this one closer. Why
with with Oregon just pulling away late?
Speaker 3 (13:49):
Why okay? I got a Oregon has been a favorite
this year of three touchdown that even seven games ish
seven games they covered five of them going away like
going away. One of them they didn't to Northwest have
thirty four nothing and north gonder to score two touchdown.
I was at the game. I had to go on
my phone and look up who was playing on our defense.
I didn't even know who was in. It was thirty
(14:09):
four to nothing. In the fourth quarter they scored twice.
Oregan didn't cover that game. And then and then Wisconsin
game in the monsoon. They they covered twenty nine and
a half this year, they covered twenty eight and half.
This year they cover twenty seven and a half. This year,
they've covered all these games when they play these bad teams.
I just don't. I don't know what about JMU is
going to prevent Oregon from playing a good game. I mean,
Dan Lanning's MO has been beating the heck bad football teams.
(14:33):
They've done this for so many years now, So I
got to hear a football reason. There's no football reason.
It's like, oh, well, the defense.
Speaker 6 (14:39):
Okay, I just thought about it. He went to that kid.
That's probably why I just thought about it it. Yeah,
wait a minute, I.
Speaker 5 (14:50):
Oregon barely you know, they take a last second field
goal and win.
Speaker 6 (14:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
Sure, I just don't know, like how to preview these
games in a way that's respectful for both sides, know,
and that should not be playoff games. It really should
it shouldn't be that way.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
Well, I think you're on the right track.
Speaker 5 (15:06):
And to me, it's the perfect storm for you know,
the group of five and the discussions of like what
what are we doing? Exactly why are we doing this?
Because think about it, you had Notre Dame be the
first team out, Notre freaking Dame. Okay, you know how
people feel about them, and there's some loud people like
they should be in that sort of thing. And not
(15:27):
only do you have one group of five team. You
have two group of five teams get in there, and
so if you see back to back blowouts to conclude
the first round right on Saturday, there're gonna be a
lot of discussions not just from football fans or media people,
You're gonna have discussions from the playoff committee, the you know,
(15:47):
conference commissioners, the powers that be of like what are
we doing over here?
Speaker 6 (15:52):
Right?
Speaker 5 (15:52):
So, I mean you can go through it, and the
ACC is a lot to blame right here. It's not
just the little guys, it's the ACC suck this year.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
And they're dumb.
Speaker 5 (16:01):
Right, So you don't have smart tiebreakers to have Miami,
a team that's you know, ranked in the top twelve
in your conference championship game.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
You have a five lost duke.
Speaker 5 (16:11):
Team in there. Somehow Duke wins, and the ACC doesn't
have a representative outside of Miami getting an at large bid.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
Right, So you have two.
Speaker 5 (16:20):
Group of fives in there with Tulane and James Madison,
and if they get smashed while Notre Dame didn't get in,
it's going to lead to a lot of discussions of
we got to revamp this whole thing.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
Look, people will point to blowouts happening in a lot
of these semi final games, but when it was a
fourteen playoff and and you know, and them happening obviously
last year with Ohiostate and Tennessee. But here's a difference. Okay, Yeah,
those games we got to spend a little bit of
time previewing as though they were going to be close.
(16:54):
There's no what Oregon has three turnovers and JMU scores
on two trick plays and Oregon wins thirty four seventeen
and they don't cover you know what I mean, Like
I don't really know like what, so like that that's
not really a fair to anyone to cover a game
(17:14):
like that. But that's where I think we're at right
now where Tennessee Ohio State. You can you spend a
week like, okay, Tennessee's does this and honestly does that
like it be closed and it wasn't. It's fine. So
that I think is a part of the discussion is
that is that those games, at least we spent a
little bit of time thinking they could be close. Uh,
this this time around, we don't think that at all.
Speaker 6 (17:33):
No, Yeah, you're right about did you bet this game
at all? Or no?
Speaker 3 (17:36):
I took orgon minus twenty and a half.
Speaker 6 (17:37):
Well you did, okay, we talked about that when I'm.
Speaker 3 (17:40):
I just I just think the number is gonna climb.
But before get to kick off, and I got a
good I've got a good Bowld number, which means I'm
gonna lose probably all my bets. And I've gotten like
I got, I got Utah a good numbers lineal I
gave out a gain. I think I toltal the talked
about the last I gavebout Utah minus fourteen. It's fifteen
and a half now, Santuel state I got plus six
is now down to three three. Yeah, so I did
(18:01):
no chance these actually win, but uh, fun to think
about getting good line movement closing line value.
Speaker 5 (18:08):
By the way, super fast, do you feel good about
the opposite? We know how you feel about closing line value? Right,
Like if Jeff gets the best of the number, he
freaks out and thinks he never wins a bet. Ever, right,
if you don't get the best of it, do you
feel good if you have the worst of the number.
Speaker 6 (18:24):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (18:24):
Like do you fare okay?
Speaker 3 (18:25):
And then yeah, I mean it's funny like they're like yesterday,
I got a bad number in a college basketball and
I was tailing someone. I got a bad number by
a point half by the time I saw it, and
I just put half a union on it and it
won day won by twenty seven. Like it was like
a cleared easily easily. Yeah, I like, I felt like
a dunge. I'm like, I put half a union on
(18:46):
a game I got a bad number on and they
won by twenty seven. They're favored by by two. That
happened all the time. But if I get a good number, no,
no chance.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
Wow, that's crazy, man.
Speaker 6 (18:56):
That's not supposed to be that way though, long term
closing line value. But however, over the years, I have
seen uh some numbers. But it's still a winner, but
not like it used to be. And it depends on
which sport. But it seems like whenever Jeff gets CLV,
I know, I take it.
Speaker 3 (19:14):
You guys. I send you guys these man, you see them.
Speaker 6 (19:17):
This is going back a couple of years, two years.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
I'll send you guys. It's college football, not really the NFL.
The NFL. There's you'll get much more in the NFL
at times if you got to bet him on really
early or really late. So I'm hoping I get a
better number on Seattle today. We'll see how that goes.
All right, come on, bet the Colts, guys, bet the
forty four year old bet please please? Who the Colts
said today? An article I saw previously the game. He's
(19:43):
going to be sacked a bunch. We're expecting it. Grats
grats on that. Good for you, guys. I feel good.
I feel good about prepared for that.

(21:36):
All right, we've got the Colts taking on the Seahawks
today and Philip Rivers, the forty four year old who
was eligible for the Hall of Fame. Right, you gotta
wait five years to be eligible for the Hall of Fame.
He was a semi finalist. Now we restart the clock. Right,
he's back in the NFL. You gotta wait another five
years to be eligible for the Hall of Fame, which
(21:58):
is just wild. He's been out of football for that long.
He's been out long enough.
Speaker 2 (22:03):
To be eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
But here he is.
Speaker 5 (22:06):
He comes off the couch, the couch or comes a
puts the coaching whistle to the side, you know, coach
in high school football.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
And here he is. And he looks chunky too, does
he not like?
Speaker 3 (22:16):
He looks terrible? This is such a dumb idea for
everyone involved. It is so irresponsible for both parties. He
look he hasn't played a game since December of twenty
twenty if for those who aren't aware, it's December of
twenty twenty five. Wow today, Wow, it wasn't he wasn't
(22:40):
like he was in training camp in twenty twenty one,
he was on a roster in twenty twenty one. He
has not been on a football field in five seasons.
And now guess what, He's going to play the number
one defense on the road in Seattle.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (22:56):
I like too. These are this indictment on the whole
sort of like development of quarterbacks. Like we're at this
this point right now where Philip Rivers has to play
this week for the Colts to feel any sort of
way that they can win this game, right Like that
is that is a problem, okay? And and then secondly,
(23:21):
like that this is even being considered. You know, people
bring up Tom Brady played at this age or near
this age. He never stopped, right, He never stopped, and
he was in shape. He was you know, he was,
he was His arm was still good. When when Rivers
were tired, his arm was not. He re tired for
(23:42):
a reason. He was done playing football. Do we think
now five years later he's back to playing. Two things
that I find so interesting too, stories are trying to
come out today. Right One, I mentioned Dana Rasing what
the athletics said, talk to a cult source. Philip Rivers
can still throw the ball, but he can't move. We're
bracing for a lot of sacks today. Okay. The other
one was they're talking about his high school team. Rivers
(24:04):
didn't even have a pair of cleats for the tryout.
He had to go find them, like in his trophy
case and grab cleets out. So he's so ready to
play football. They didn't have a pair of cleats. I
got I gonta put on clee. I got clear. I
know where they are. Like, he's so ready to play
football that he does not have a pair of cleats
handy to go to a workout with crack. That's how
(24:26):
ready he is to play football today. This is out
of out of pure spite. I have bet Seattle today
of this situation.
Speaker 6 (24:34):
This isn't crazy, it really is. He makes so many
good points here. This is the craziest news of the
season for sure. Forty four year old old man Rivert
is an old song that Sinatra and Ray Charles just
to sing. He hasn't played a snap in over four years.
Like you said, I don't expect much out of him today,
especially it gets a good Saints defense. I just hope
(24:56):
he doesn't get hurt. I'll ask you guys this, So
what is I'm out of loss for words? What was
the option of quarterbacks that they went to? Like if
rivers talk to the organization throughout the year, he does
friends with the owner.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
Well, him and Stichen are good friends. I guess they
talk like weekly about they run they run the Colts offense.
Did you hear this? They run the Colts offense and
so they you know, they like talk.
Speaker 6 (25:22):
I guess.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
Here here's the other more I'll tell you the more
this is actually I saw someone tweet this out and
I think it's actually. I don't know how true it is,
but it certainly plays a little bit of a role.
So after five years your NFL insurance runs out, we
got five years after you're playing. Okay, if he plays
this month, I think he goes back on insurance for
(25:46):
five more years.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
That's a big deal.
Speaker 6 (25:48):
That's ten one hundred million dollars.
Speaker 3 (25:50):
It's got ten kids though, right right, kid, it's got great.
If he goes out there today and breaks his collarbode
and gets in surch of five more years, is it
worth it?
Speaker 4 (26:01):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (26:04):
It can't be.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
I would try to do that myself.
Speaker 6 (26:07):
Can't be financial. This is Philip Rivers. This is not
a guy that you know. It was a second string quarterback.
I mean, this guy's got a lot of them. This
can't be a money thing. It can't be.
Speaker 5 (26:18):
But it's a nice perk, right, if anything, it's nice.
I hear what you're saying, crack, but you know, I'll
tell you what. I heard a different rumor that made
more sense to me at the time, which was, hey,
if the Bengals released Joe Flacco. He was just in Indianapolis, right,
he was their quarterback not too long ago. If that
(26:40):
would have happened, I could see that being you know,
a legitimate like, hey, this is an emergency, bright class,
it's going to be Joe Flacco. He was just here.
He's familiar with all the terminology, all that stuff, plug
and play, right, and he's been.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
Active this season.
Speaker 6 (26:56):
Right.
Speaker 5 (26:57):
That that made a little bit more sense. But that
never happened. And the next thing I heard was, Hey,
maybe maybe Philip Rivers is unretiring. And I'm like, what unretiring?
He had played in five years? Man, it's crazy. But
how we got here, you know, Just so we're all
on the same page for everybody listening, obviously Daniel Jones,
who was having a pretty good year, he got hurt
(27:17):
achilles tear, so he's on the shelf. And then Riley Leonard,
the backup quarterback, he hurt his knee last week and
he got in the game. And of course Anthony Richardson,
he's on IR in the most random way.
Speaker 6 (27:30):
Right.
Speaker 5 (27:30):
It was a pregame earlier this season and he had
one of those elastic.
Speaker 2 (27:35):
Bands and somehow it hit his eye. And you're not
buying it, Hud, Jeff.
Speaker 3 (27:41):
I'm not buying that he's not healthy enough to plays
all I believe it happened. I'm not buying that he
can't play with an ORBITL fracture.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
Interesting with a helmet on.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
Yeah, six weeks after this happened, that's what I'm not buying.
Speaker 6 (27:55):
I was wrong, two guys. Philip Rivers made two hundred
and forty million dollars.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
The joke is that I don't think he's actually coming
back for insurance. He's come back because they let.
Speaker 6 (28:05):
Him do it right, right, They let him do it right, like,
they let him do.
Speaker 3 (28:09):
It like I bet Shane Styken and him were texting like, hey, man,
would be fun if I came back and Shane's like,
can you And He's like.
Speaker 6 (28:18):
I, Like, Jeff just broke it down. That's probably something
along the lines would happen.
Speaker 3 (28:23):
Again. The story reads this morning that they for the
tryouts cracked. He didn't have a pair of shoes cleats
readily available, so he went to his trophy case to
grab cleats. That's how ready he is to play a
football game. He didn't even Oh, he throws a practice
before practice with his son, So do I? Am I
ready to be a major league pitcher? Like I played
catching my son before practice? Am I ready to go
(28:45):
on a mound? And like, just this whole thing is
is absolutely right. I feel very strongly Todays and go
very bad for them. But like, think about this though,
besides Philip Rivers not being able to move, if you're
Seattle's defense, that's good. Anyways, what do you expect today now?
Jon Jonathan Taylor short passes Jonathan Taylor short passes. Well,
(29:05):
if I know your game plan, I'm pretty well prepared
to defend your game plan. It's not playing against a
bad defense. You're playing against one of the best in
the NFL with a very smart mine On the other side,
you're playing by the way, to continue to advance to
the AFC West showdown on Thursday. By the way between
maybe get a chance today, it's some point to preview
that game for a second Rams and Seahawks next week
(29:26):
on Thursday, which I came a Sunday. But it's not
like if you know these things going into it, that
makes it more difficult for anyone who's actually played football
in the last five seasons. He hasn't. And so I
think all of this is just a mockery of the
sport honestly. And yeah, I mean I get why people
are saying that, like this is really goes to show
(29:49):
you where we are in development of quarterbacks right now,
because you can't play anyone off a practice squad, like
there's no one there's a practice quarterbacks ready to play it.
There's this is it?
Speaker 5 (29:57):
You know, maybe it's a lot, it's a freak out
from Brozemer. Remember the same opponent at Seattle and Max Brosmer,
who was the Vikings fill in quarterback.
Speaker 2 (30:07):
Was freaking brutal. So maybe I get it.
Speaker 5 (30:11):
I understand everything you're saying, but maybe there's some trepidation
the practice guy. Like so I get it, but if
it puts you on the path. It puts you on
the path of like, can we try to do something
different or maybe better? It could start your thinking that way.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
I think, yeah, I know.
Speaker 3 (30:31):
With you the Isaac still correct. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I
want to So Loo's at the game. I want to
say a story. I had to actually play any game,
the whole game as a offensive lineman who on a
quarterback and shut up. On Tuesday and we played the Ravens.
It's didn't go well, didn't go well.
Speaker 6 (30:47):
Well.
Speaker 5 (30:47):
That's why I say this is either going to be
a Disney movie or the worst horror film you've ever
seen in your life, you know, very graphic, the whole
thing right, with Philip Rivers coming back.
Speaker 2 (30:56):
I think the scouts are on hand, you.
Speaker 5 (30:58):
Know, you hear this with college game, It's like, oh,
the NFL scouts are here, They're all here like watching
this guy. I think like the Disney Scouts are in attendance,
the Netflix, the Lifetime Scouts are there. Is there a
movie to be made here? Is this a Hallmark movie
with Philip Rivers coming back?
Speaker 2 (31:12):
I don't think so.
Speaker 5 (31:13):
I think this is you know, like Jason kills everybody,
you know, that sort of thing with Philip Rivers being back.
We'll see how it goes. But you can't take your
eyes off of this at the least. This is a
car wreck that you're looking as you like slowly drive
by the whole time.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
All right, We've got Dan Byer with us today.
Speaker 5 (31:31):
How about that Dan Byer filling in. Good to hear
from Dan. What's going on?
Speaker 6 (31:34):
dB?
Speaker 9 (31:35):
Yeah, guys, it's got that early Chargers kick in Kansas
City for the AFC West Showdown. You guys talking now
a lot about that Colt Seahawks game. ESPN's Adam Schefter
reports that Daniel Jones and the Colts are expected to
have talked to this offseason on a new contract. Remember
he's going to be a free agent in all of this.
And now maybe that injury costing you in some money
six to eight months recovery after having surgery this past Tuesday.
(31:59):
On that upshot Achilles forty nine ers running that Christian
McCaffrey popped up on the injury report. He's dealing with
an illness, but he's expected to start today against the Titans,
who will be no Nick Chubb for the Texans against
the Cardinals while Packer's running that Josh Jacobs in that
big game against the Broncos in Denver today. He is
expected to play despite practicing only on Friday on a
(32:19):
limited basis. Jacobs has been dealing with a sore knee
all week. Eagles will be without tackling Johnson again.
Speaker 6 (32:26):
That's not a.
Speaker 9 (32:26):
Surprise, but the NFL network says he is targeting a
return in either week sixteen or week seventeen from his
list frank injury. Spurs will face the Knicks in the
NBA Cup Final in Vegas coming up on Tuesday. Baseball
Noteriady Merril Kelly back with a Diamondbacks on a two
year deal worth forty million dollars.
Speaker 6 (32:43):
Fellows back to you, Thank you Dan.
Speaker 5 (32:45):

the bet MGM app Okay, super fast. We just mentioned
one large underdog, which is the the Colts. Doesn't sound
like you're two in on taking the points with the
Colts there, Jeff. But we've got three other opportunities right here?
(33:28):
Are you feeling it with all these teams.
Speaker 2 (33:30):
Are nearly two touchdown underdogs?
Speaker 5 (33:33):
Right's got the Titans they're at the Niners, or you
could roll with the Raiders. Raiders are at the Eagles,
and then we've got the Jets, Gang Green, big underdog
against the Jaguars. So what do you think maybe Titans,
maybe Jets, maybe Raiders, any of those teams calling your
name here big underdogs.
Speaker 3 (33:54):
No, I'm not taking the favorites either of the outside
of Seattle. But I do think that a couple a
couple of things here. The I don't trust Jacksonville. Still
like that would be a game where the Jets come
in there and then Jacksonville wins by three and has
eight drops and Lawrence does a look like that feels
like certainly a possibility, right, Yeah, So I mean that's
that's that's certainly capable possibility. There the one that I
(34:17):
the Eagles are just in a bad place right now,
and maybe the Raiders are the anecdote for bad football.
Like you just you play the Raiders. I mean you
remember the Chiefs beat them thirty one, nothing like they
have only they have won one game since. Maybe that's
the anecdote is you just play the Raiders and and
you sort of get right. But I mean you could
I could totally the Eagles struggling in this one, right,
I mean they their offense has been really poor for
(34:40):
weeks now. There's no rhythm to the offense when Johnson
is not playing. Still, so none of these will make
my crack challenge. I ain't wagering a cent in these underdogs,
but I can see there being a little bit of,
you know, a tough cover for for Philly. I feel
like I've gonna choose one team. It would be Philly.
Speaker 5 (34:58):
Okay, anything jump out to you, you like any of
those big dogs they bark into you.
Speaker 3 (35:04):
You know.
Speaker 6 (35:05):
I was just making sure I was just doing a
search on the latest on McCaffrey. I wanted to see what.
Speaker 2 (35:10):
I said, Yeah, that's right back. It was a little
bit ill earlier this week.
Speaker 6 (35:14):
But yet they still said he's playing. So I mean,
I'm reading how many things articles here, how many little
tweets and stuff, or how bad this was. But so
I guess out of all these, I would say Tennessee,
I McCaffrey like forty nine ers offensive, like we know.
News all week was that he had this back issue,
(35:36):
and this weekend it was like worse you thought. But
yet he's still going to play. But how efficient is
he going to be? How effective will he be? I mean,
Tennessee's been playing better last couple of weeks. Number one
pick cam Warden made some improvements here, So I guess
out of all of them, I'm a dog guy in general.
I look to the dogs because you know, I live
(35:58):
in a state town that, especially our local casinos, we
have a lot of people betting all the favorites. So
even though they're average, bet in the country is and
even here the local communities one hundred bucks. It adds up.
There's so much volume of people betting these big favorites
that the books are forced to overmove them. I find
(36:18):
half a point around key numbers on many different games,
So looking at all of them, I would have to say, Tennessee,
sometimes you get some value though against the double digit
dogs here in town. Also, so yeah, maybe, yeah.
Speaker 5 (36:34):
No, I hear you on that, and it's you know,
you look at the Niners, no pass rush, so maybe
cam Ward has a little bit of time where you
can keep it within twelve. That's what you're looking to do,
keep it within twelve. And yeah, that's one thing. It's funny,
I'll mention real fast. If you look at the Jets right,
huge underdogs, fourteen point underdogs against Jacksonville. As Jeff just said,
they can be kind of goofy, can you know? They
(36:56):
play with their food a little bit too much. And
as soon as you start thinking about the Jets, so
you're like, wait a minute, it's rookie Brady Cook's first
NFL start and he played a little bit last week.
Two interceptions, two fumbles, and you're like, uh oh, you
look at the Jaguars twenty three takeaways. That's tied for
second in the league. So it's like, all right, if
they can't run the ball, and the Jags have the
(37:17):
best rush defense, and it's all on Brady cook and
he's turnover prone against a takeaway machine that is a
bad formula even plus fourteen. So you start doing the math.
Speaker 4 (37:28):
It's tough.
Speaker 5 (37:28):
It's tough to be on either side in some of
these matchups. All right, we've got Jeff Schwartz, eight year
NFL veteran, Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper. I'm Brian No.

Speaker 5 (38:48):
Ah, yes, the platter. We each have one selection for you.
We pull it together for a greater payout.
Speaker 6 (38:53):
Crack.
Speaker 2 (38:53):
We start with you.
Speaker 3 (38:54):
What do you like?
Speaker 6 (38:55):
All right, let's go to the Carolina Panthers Hubbard over
sixty one and a half shingen receiving yards. I think
he starts to split the time there at the other
back fifty to fifty, so we'll have some more yards here.
Panthers Hubbard over sixty one and a half rushing slash
receiving yards.
Speaker 3 (39:14):
Okay, nice, I like the New England today over twenty
three and a half points. Took a little bit of
an alt number there minus twenty thirty five here, Brian,
A couple of things here. We know the Bill's defense
is very bad, right, and again's the better teams. They
have a lot, a lot of points. Thirty four the
Bengals last week on offense, thirty two couple years so
too the Bucks and even twenty three that Davis Mills
(39:37):
led Texans team pays off a bye. I liked what
their offense is right now, I'm going to run the
football on this game, control the line of scrimmage, in
my opinion. So I like the Patriots over twenty three
and a half points.
Speaker 2 (39:48):
Today, Okay, I like it makes sense to me.
Speaker 5 (39:53):
I'm gonna look at this Chargers Chiefs game. I like
under forty one and a half. We've got offensive line
issues on old sides. Herbert got sacked seven times last
week against the Eagles.
Speaker 2 (40:05):
He just had his broken hand surgically repaired, you know. Like,
and you look at the Chiefs offensive line, there's still
the walking wounded man.
Speaker 4 (40:13):
Like.
Speaker 2 (40:13):
I just don't see a lot of points.
Speaker 4 (40:15):
Gonna be cold.
Speaker 5 (40:16):
It's gonna be a low scoring game. So I like
under in that game.
Speaker 3 (40:20):
I like that called her Brian. I can't believe the
numbers got out to six. It's crazy than me. The
overreaction to Justin Herbert's postgame interview interaction with Laura rutlacross week.
It's perfect for the internet. Like, God, guys, he did
the interview. You didn't know if she was for a milliseconds.
Can we stopped the pearl clutching over this incident? The
(40:42):
perfect internet story?
Speaker 6 (40:43):
Right? Okay?
Speaker 5 (40:44):
If you pooled those three picks together plus five thirteen,
So there you know a little more than five to.
Speaker 2 (40:51):
One for your bang for your buck, right there? Not
bad all right?
Speaker 5 (40:54):
Coming up next, the previews continue over here.
Speaker 2 (40:57):
We got some great matchups.
Speaker 5 (40:58):
We'll get to one of the best man the entire
day coming up next.
Speaker 2 (41:02):
Oh, what's going on?
Speaker 5 (41:03):
Happy Sunday to you, Happy week fifteen to you. We
got some great games to get to here, we'll get
to one of the great games and the Rodney Dangerfield
team of the NFL this season, at least in my opinion,
that's coming up hey. Throughout the entire football season, bet
MGM will offer all different types of no sweat tokens
and odds boost tokens. Be on the lookout for no
(41:24):
sweat same game parlay tokens, Parlay boost tokens and so
much more. All Right, we've got the Bills at the Patriots,
and now the Bills are two and a half point favorites.
Speaker 2 (41:36):
A lot of Bills money just flow it in this morning.
Speaker 5 (41:39):
And I think the Patriots are the Rodney Dangerfield squad
of the NFL this season. No respect, no respect over here. Right,
the Patriots are a really good team. And all I
hear all season long is they just beat up on
bad teams. Look, man, they've beaten a lot of bad teams,
there's no doubt. But they did beat this Bills team
on the road in a primetime situation. And I know
(42:01):
Tampa has been bad lately here, but what started this
losing streak was the Patriots going on the road and
beating Tampa before they were completely the walking wounded.
Speaker 2 (42:10):
I think that's another good win too.
Speaker 5 (42:12):
And if you look at their formula, really good head coach,
legitimate MVP caliber quarterback, pretty good defense. Like that's a
formula that's gonna lead to a lot of wins.
Speaker 2 (42:22):
You're gonna be in a lot of games.
Speaker 5 (42:24):
I think they're an absolute live dog, not just plus
the two and a half, but to win outright. Yet
there's bills, money flowing in. I think this, I'll say
this real fast. I think what's happening here is, if
you look at the landscape of the AFC, you got
to back one of these teams. Who are you most
comfortable backing? And I think a lot of people are
starting to gravitate toward the bills Because I saw a
(42:46):
tweet this guy Sam Block works for ESPN.
Speaker 2 (42:49):
This is what he wrote.
Speaker 5 (42:50):
Chiefs are six and seven, Ravens are six and seven,
Bengals are four and nine. You don't trust the Broncos,
you don't trust the Pats, you don't trust the Jags.
Bills are hot and cold, Texans are unproven, Chargers are
banged up, Steelers are inconsistent, Colts lost Daniel Jones.
Speaker 2 (43:05):
Who's gonna win the AFC?
Speaker 5 (43:07):
And I think a lot of people look at that
and say, well, you know, maybe it's Josh Allen's time.
They start talking themselves into it. The Bills can't stop
the rush they have Wartz. But I think what's happening
is there are a lot of people looking at the
AFC as a whole and process of elimination. They're ending
up with the Bills, And I don't necessarily think that's right,
could work out. But I think the Bills are being
(43:29):
overvalued based on the lack of teams to trust in
the AFC.
Speaker 2 (43:33):
Would you buy that, Jeff.
Speaker 3 (43:34):
You're I think you're exactly right. This is why people
are on Buffalo today because they say themselves what you're saying, Like,
at some point they have to come alive right and
play their best football Tweek fifteen, Like we'll talk about
Chiefs and Chargers in a little bit. Same thing with
Kansas City, Like I understand how power raigns are made.
Don't get me wrong. I get them. I understand how
(43:55):
they're made. I don't agree with them. I don't agree
with the Bills being power This idn ont greet Kansas
City being power raded as high. New England has their issues,
in my opinion, but the Bills defense is terrible. They
are they are so reliant on Josh Allen being great
to any success. Now, there are a couple of games
this week where the number does not make sense to me.
(44:18):
This is one of them. There's a game in Denver
as well. It doesn't make any sense when I see that, Brian,
I tend to think, am I wrong for laking New
England because why is Buffaloes that's a tune up point favorite?
Like what has happened? Why is Denver's a home underdog?
Why is that? So It's hard for me to wager
in this game for that reason because I think the
(44:38):
Patriots on the side. But Vegas is telling you, man,
this is on a neutral field. This is what Bill's
fair by five, five four, It holds their favorite by seven?
What favor by seven? Really? So I just I I
I don't know, crack. I like the Patriots too, but
(45:00):
Vegas is telling me something that I'm wrong here. I've
had a hard time with the with the analytics of
NFL this year because the Chiefs. The Chief's been six
and Dvoa makes no sense to me. You can we
watch him play football? Please? Can we watch?
Speaker 6 (45:14):
Like?
Speaker 3 (45:15):
So the same with it Buffalo. I don't quite buy it.
I don't. I don't crack.
Speaker 6 (45:21):
Yeah, Brian who wrote that article for ESPN that was
that was very good.
Speaker 2 (45:25):
It's just a tweet.
Speaker 5 (45:27):
Yeah, well the guy, yeah, Sam Block apparently ESPN. I
just randomly saw his tweet and I'm like, man, yeah
he really like broke read that like, yeah.
Speaker 6 (45:36):
Really makes you shake your head and say, yeah, who
was left there? I mean, yeah, I feel like this
is the one. This is the this is really the
game everyone's been waiting for. Though the Pats have their
best record in the NFL or ten game. Wow, it's
so hard to say this a ten game winning streak.
A lot of people still don't believe in this team though,
(45:57):
and uh, the Bills have. I have won this division
five the division five times in a row, literally five
years in a row. So you just can't believe that
the Patriots are doing this. And by the way, the
Bills were the Super Bowl favorite before the season started.
But if the Patriots knocked them off today, they clinched
the AFC East. I mean, these guys played. I think
(46:20):
it was way back in like Week five or something.
If you all remember the New England winning that game,
it was I think it was a prime time game.
I remember watching one right. It like shocks everyone, like
like twenty three to twenty. I think this game comes
down to the Bills rushing attack first, the Patriots run defense.
The Bills have the top ranked ground attack at one
(46:43):
hundred and fifty eight yards per game, and Patriots have
the third best running The running d so they're allowing
eighty nine point five yards a game. Josh Allen made
a couple of crucial turnovers in their first meeting, though,
so if the Bills can limit those in this game,
I think the Bills come away to win. But I
didn't bet the game and then rush rush out and
bet the game. I'm guessing the public is all over
(47:05):
Buffalo in this one, so that kind of scares me.
The line now going up to two, but you know,
I guess we can ask we haven't Christian on we
can ask Christian about this one. Yep.
Speaker 5 (47:15):
Yeah, And it's something else to keep an eye on.
I love this too. If you look at the Bills,
they have the number two pass defense this season, But
to me, that's kind of like wink wink. It's more
so because their rush defense sucks. Their rush defense is
twenty eighth. They give up one hundred and thirty five
yards on the ground each game, and so teams are
running it on them. And you know, so the pass
(47:39):
defense to me looks better than it actually is in
a matchup like this. Drake May he lit him up
in the first matchup, and he's more than capable of
lighting them up again. So keep an eye on what
Drake May does through the air, because I don't think
this is you know, I think that the credentials are
boosted a little bit, right. You got to read between
the lines where if you're attacking it defense and they're
(48:01):
awful against the rush, you're probably gonna run the ball
against them, right, That's what a lot of offenses have done.
And to cracks point, like the Patriots very good against
the rush, but no Milton Williams today, which is a
big deal for them. So we'll see what James Cook
and the Bills can do on the ground. Because you're right, Jeff,
if James Cook is held in check, we know Josh
(48:23):
Allen is fantastic, but he doesn't have fantastic weapons to
throw you all over the place. And that's when the
offense really starts to bog down. Is I think you
start with trying to slow down James Cook because if
it's you know, Josh Allen trying to make yolo plays
to number two receivers all over the place, it's advantage you,
it is.
Speaker 3 (48:42):
And Vabel, by the way six and zero off a bye,
he's just very he SEMs are very prepared. I saw
someone give out Drake may under under completions today and
rattle off like seven trends in a row. And I
was like, oh my god, shoot me in the face, boy,
like who like who wants to who is betting? Because
(49:03):
he is under completions in three games at home this
so far this season?
Speaker 6 (49:08):
Who cares to do these things?
Speaker 3 (49:11):
But like my thing about Raybell, I can say that
because I because because.
Speaker 6 (49:16):
Well that's an actual thing that's different.
Speaker 3 (49:19):
He has showing he prepared. Look, I go back to
this a lot. You know, if you must win a
game in week fifteen, you must not be very good,
right the Bills. Now, the Bills are making the playoffs,
but to win the Vision, this is a must winner
if they if they lose this game, that's I think
probably it with the interest schedule it is. And they
(49:40):
have warts, man, they do. And Drake may number one
in the NFL against pressure as a quarterback, number one
passer right, number one yard yards per tempt touchdowns. He
throws a great deep ball, you know, the play a
shoul pass days and I mean be super big for
him as well. And so uh I again, I like
the Patriots, Brian, like you do, but I worry about
(50:03):
why this number is, what it is that that that's
concerned me.
Speaker 2 (50:06):
I got you.
Speaker 5 (50:06):
And there's another game that's that fits that same criteria,
which is Chargers at the Chiefs.
Speaker 2 (50:13):
We all know the chief struggles.
Speaker 5 (50:14):
They are a six and seven football team and they
are favored by six points.
Speaker 6 (50:19):
Today.
Speaker 5 (50:20):
Sharps and Joe's are on the Chiefs like everybody's aligned,
like they're high five.
Speaker 2 (50:24):
In each other.
Speaker 5 (50:25):
Bros and Joe's They're like, let's go, let's go Arrowhead,
Let's go Chiefs over here. Right, it's a wild game,
you know, with the spread and just what the market
is saying when when it's different than what you've seen
all season from the Chiefs.
Speaker 3 (50:39):
Chances Crack knows the six to seven reference any idea, No, no.
Speaker 2 (50:45):
No, not wow Crack Okay, yeah.
Speaker 3 (50:48):
Nothing whatsoever that surprise me. So don't bother Crack. It's
just signing to look it up. So here's the deal.
On my podcast, check out Jeff Forre Smarter than You.
Coast and I were talking about this game. He's like, dude,
this is the Chiefs. Man Like I'm I'm I'm on them,
Like this is this is like this is the week
I go what why why is this the week? Five
(51:12):
straight weeks of non covers haven't been close by the
way they're you know, the late three and a half
every game have not been close. The thing that I
remember last year we talked about the eleven and zero
in one score games. Then with the Chiefs, I said, guys,
are they really one score games? I think? Really?
Speaker 1 (51:28):
Right?
Speaker 2 (51:28):
Right right?
Speaker 3 (51:28):
The Chiefs this year have played like four teams that
are like really good, and they like they played in
the Colts. You include that if you want Lions as well,
so maybe six teams. But they were down double. They
were down by more than touchdown the fourth quarter against
the Chargers before a field goal made a one score game.
The Eagles late touchdown made a one score game. The
Cowboys down ten points late, touching by one score, like
they even be close against good teams. The end result
(51:51):
they beat the Colts at home when the Colts offense
just crumbled down down the stretch last week look got
four times by Andy Reid was one of the worst
he's million years. I don't understand. The Texans offensively had
done nothing the entire half, punt the ball away. The
offense right now is just broken for Kansas City. It
just it ceases to function in a manner that gets
(52:13):
them easy yards in the NFL. Now, now, the Chargers
defense is really good. The Chiefs have struggle against good
defense the entire season. They're down three offensive linemen again
in this game. The Chargers have their problems too. Right,
we talked about the tackles. Herbert said, the Chiefs don't
watch the passers tho it's Chris Jones or Bust that's it.
That's it. They don't. So I just don't like this
matchup it all for the Chiefs. This is not the
(52:34):
team that they They play well against the Raiders this year,
like they've not played well against any any team that's
sort of marginally good that look their best games at
offense this year. They put the Ravens backup defense and
the Lions were out five guys in the secondary.
Speaker 4 (52:49):
That's it.
Speaker 3 (52:50):
They have not They really have not played well for
a good majority of the season. So this number, to me,
Crack makes no sense whatsoever. I mean, people are thinking
the Chiefs are what they were years ago. Has not
been the team this year.
Speaker 6 (53:03):
I mean, how many times this season have we said
right in this space, all three of us this is
a must win for the Chiefs every week, and they've
lost every time. Right, Wow, I shouldn't say they beat
the Colts, but I mean they just they've been so bad.
We've finally gotten to this point where the Chiefs can
be officially eliminated from the playoffs with a loss, and
(53:24):
a few other things has to happen to I know,
but you know, Jeff has been telling us this is
his team. I mean, he's been telling us for a
couple of weeks that this team has done so and
this has been so many spots like this Chargers on
a short week after their Monday Night twenty nineteen.
Speaker 3 (53:42):
Overtime overtime like short week overtime is like a terrible
spot to back anyone.
Speaker 6 (53:47):
Let me ask you, Jeff, you by being a player?
Is that is it? In the betting world? Has it
just talked about too much more? Is it taxing on
you guys as players?
Speaker 3 (53:57):
Yeah? Wow, okay, well think about they played Monday first
of all, so one least day of rest, and then
and then you played extra snaps on top of that,
so it's taxing.
Speaker 6 (54:06):
It's see you guys, what do you do like like
during the week, does the coach give you that first
day off to repair the heel up or no.
Speaker 3 (54:15):
This time of year, you don't really practice, so you
just you know, you would just I guess he'd give
you another day of recovery. Maybe you started being Wednesday,
He just probably Wednesday's probably just strictly a walk through day,
a real practice, and then you sort of go from there.
But yeah, I mean it's not going to be any
very taxing. It's not very taxing right now anyways. But yeah,
(54:38):
the the I just look, last week too, was the
first time we had seen like visible anger and Mahomes
in a game. Like we talk a lot about this Brian, right,
how Mahomes like never shows emotion, right, And in fact
it's the opposite where he typically goes out of his
way to be very nice about problems in the offense.
I mean he did he did the surrender surrender Cobra
after White dropped another pas another one. Yeah, and he's
(55:01):
fighting for his life back there. Like to claim Mahomes
the problem, man, it's he is not the problem. I
promise he's not the problem with this offense. So lastly,
on the Chiefs, I think most player podcasts are useless
except you get nuggets every now and then. And Travis
Kelsey said the other day on his podcast, like, you
know what, Jason, the things that used to work aren't
(55:23):
working anymore.
Speaker 6 (55:25):
Huh.
Speaker 3 (55:25):
Like that that's that's summary of what he said. He
was like, yeah, you know, just like I used to
be able to like pull from somewhere and that somewhere
helped us win or helped me play better. They don't
have it this year. Guys don't have.
Speaker 6 (55:38):
It this year.
Speaker 8 (55:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (55:39):
Yeah, these guys went head to head, don't forget opener
Week one. It was in Brazil, Chargers winning a close
one there twenty seven to twenty one. But at this
point they're two totally different teams too. Herbert really did
show that his toughness all year. I mean just look
at him last week with that broken hand, I mean
in there. But for the season, they're taking forty five
(56:02):
sacks and being on the move pretty much every game.
He's second on the Chargers and rushing with four hundred
and nineteen yards. I would expect him to be on
the move today again against a pretty active Chiefs defense. Though.
Mahomes though, you know, he got the season off to
a really hot start, but that eight interceptions in his
last six games, and his receivers really aren't helping a
(56:25):
much ton of crucial drops. I mean when you see that,
you just it's amazing. He hasn't went off earlier in
the season, like like like Jeff said, I didn't watch him,
so he was visibly shaken, like like on the Fielic. Yeah,
but going after his own players. No, no, no, no, okay, okay.
Speaker 3 (56:44):
So a guy dropped the pass a fourth down and
he was laying on the ground. He put his hands over.
So the surrender cobra is when guys like they put
their hands on their head.
Speaker 6 (56:52):
Yeah, oh, you know.
Speaker 2 (56:55):
Like me when Notre Dame didn't get into the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (56:58):
Yeah, he was doing that on the ground after a
guy dropped a fourth down completion. So there's visible frustration there.
I said something bold last week on Chiefs Twitter, and
like I said, hey, man, I wouldn't fire Andy Reid.
People were like, what what, You wouldn't fire any read. Yeah,
I wouldn't fire any read. I would. I would force
him to make some staff changes. If it doesn't, he
(57:19):
will be fired next year. I said that too. Yeah,
both things are true. He shouldn't be fired now. If
he doesn't make any changes, he will be fired. Like
it's like it's not hard he fired. If this same
thing runs back next year without any changes, he will
not be the coach in twenty twenty seven. It's like
that simple.
Speaker 5 (57:36):
It's crazy how this this season is played out. I
still go back to if you weren't watching the NFL
this season, you saw the Chiefs are six and seven,
you would have thought the homes got hurt in Week one. Yeah,
he's been He's been back there the whole year, and
his numbers are respectable in ways, like he's thrown for
the he ranks third in the league in passing yards
per game. It's not like he just sucks this season, right,
(57:57):
Like he's had a lot of drops to deal with
and a lot of you know, a lot of moving
parts of an offensive line that's banged up drops left
and right. I just go back to I hear you
on everything that you've said in this whole breakdown, Jeff,
but I still go back to, this line absolutely stinks
out loud, you know what I mean, Like it's minus
(58:18):
sixth that how it reminds me a bit of last
week when the Packers were favored by six and a half,
you know, and you're like, the Bears are the one
seed right now. They've won all these games in a row,
and man, six and a half point, that's a lot
of points.
Speaker 3 (58:32):
And what do you know that they.
Speaker 5 (58:34):
Got there and one by seven, you know, and if
the Chiefs cover this, it's gonna be just barely. They're
gonna win by seven exactly.
Speaker 2 (58:41):
You know. Something like that.
Speaker 3 (58:43):
One thing too about Kansas City, So you know they're
third down defense. I see people say whether they're second
and scoring defense and second like they can't get stop
on third and long. I don't understand. It doesn't make sense,
like they don't allow a lot of points that they
don't look at stopson on third down. It just doesn't
make sense. And I don't buy the analytics of their season.
(59:05):
Letch don't buy.
Speaker 5 (59:05):
It's been a weird. Yeah, it has been very weird.
You know, you go back to you never know if
one thing goes your way, what it leads to. You know,
you go back to the Denver game on the road,
it's third and fifteen. You get to stop right there.
Maybe you win that game, maybe it changes your entire
season as possible. They don't get to stop on third
and long like that never used to happen.
Speaker 2 (59:25):
With the Chiefs. There's been a lot of things.
Speaker 5 (59:26):
That never used to happen with the Chiefs that are
happening regularly this season. It's wild, all right. We've got

Speaker 5 (01:00:52):
Christian Cipolini with us here, Senior trading manager at BETMGM.
Good morning to you, Christian. Okay, I ask you every week.
Speaker 6 (01:01:00):
What you need.
Speaker 5 (01:01:00):
I'm guessing a forty four year old quarterback who's coming
off the couch and leading the Colts probably a big.
Speaker 2 (01:01:08):
Need for you guys. Is that the top need? Or
is there something greater than that for you?
Speaker 1 (01:01:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (01:01:14):
Yeah, spot on there.
Speaker 8 (01:01:16):
That's that's one of our needs for today, the one
thing that I'm really looking at.
Speaker 10 (01:01:22):
I have five games here on this dock and of double.
Speaker 8 (01:01:24):
Digit spreads, So right off the bat, that's.
Speaker 10 (01:01:27):
That's the thing that I'm looking at, and that's the
thing that will concern.
Speaker 8 (01:01:30):
Me for the day because that's gonna be full of
moneyline parlays, teasers, you know, and just big favorites.
Speaker 4 (01:01:37):
In general tend to take more bets.
Speaker 8 (01:01:39):
So there's five of them, which is a lot. So
we're really gonna be that's one of the games.
Speaker 10 (01:01:44):
We're gonna be looking at. But yeah, we have a
few on this.
Speaker 8 (01:01:46):
And you know a lot of them do revolver around
these these big spread games.
Speaker 3 (01:01:51):
I don't get the Chiefs being a big favorite again.
Speaker 10 (01:01:55):
Yeah, yeah, we'll.
Speaker 3 (01:01:57):
Go get six points now. I mean I was on
Texas last week. I don't know if I could take
the Charger of plus six, but I teams. People just
keep being the Chiefs, don't they.
Speaker 8 (01:02:09):
Yeah, And that was one of the first messages I
read this morning when I woke up from one of
the trading room. It just said, this is disrespectful to
the Chargers here.
Speaker 10 (01:02:18):
They coming off a big win too. The Chiefs obviously
haven't looked good.
Speaker 8 (01:02:22):
And so far the betters are in agreement with you,
because right now we're at about sixty sixty money on
the Chargers.
Speaker 6 (01:02:30):
Hey, Christian, some of the fans here, I want to
know they love their percentage wise, So like, would you say,
which one's the biggest one? Is it San fran Seattle, Philadelphia, Jacksonville, Houston?
What is the real what is that percentage? Like this?
Do you have eighty percentage of money on one of
these things today?
Speaker 8 (01:02:49):
Yeah, yep, I know that people are looking for the
eighty percent, So I have actually a couple today. A
lot of that is obviously because of these big spread games.
So you mentioned Titan forty nine. Forty nine Ers is
one that we're just close to eighty percent. We're a
little bit more than seventy five percent, and I imagine
as we get more and more public money that will
(01:03:10):
become an eighty percent public bet game on the forty
nine Ers. Another one that's actually not in this big
spread is actually Panthers Saints. We have a pretty close
to eighty percent of the money coming in on the Panthers, So.
Speaker 6 (01:03:22):
Wow wow, yeah, that is shocking.
Speaker 10 (01:03:26):
Yeah, I was surprised by that one as well.
Speaker 8 (01:03:30):
And then the other one that's going to approach there
is Texans Cardinals so far getting a lot of Texans money. Again,
not right there on eighty, but it's probably going to
be there by the time we get to kick off.
Speaker 5 (01:03:40):
It kind of sounds like the Schwartz Syndicate is on
the Cardinals over there.
Speaker 3 (01:03:43):
No, no, I was I was hoping you didn't say Seattle.
Speaker 5 (01:03:46):
Okay, we moved, it moved just now. Did you see that?
Speaker 6 (01:03:51):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:03:51):
I got a lot on them on Philip Rivers breaking
his body at some point in this game.
Speaker 8 (01:04:00):
Yeah, I think the only reason that the Colts game
is and there is just you know, there's probably a
bit of novelty to be betting on a forty four
year old quarterbacks. I guess some people have decided to
go that route. That came about sixty five percent, so
not too too bad.
Speaker 5 (01:04:14):
How about the Bills taking on the Patriots, Christian, what's
the money looking like? Because a lot of money like
flowing in on the Bills this morning, where they're up
to a two and a half point favorite. But what
does it look like overall the breakdown between Bills and Patriots.
Speaker 10 (01:04:29):
Yeah, has this.
Speaker 8 (01:04:30):
One steaming towards the Bills? And action has been that
same way. We're about sixty five percent so far on
the bills, and obviously the line moving kind of tells
you that the marketing around the industry is probably pretty similar.
Speaker 6 (01:04:43):
So can I.
Speaker 3 (01:04:45):
Sneak into college question quickly? I don't know if you
have time to pull up your screen there. I'm curious.
You know, we won't talk to you until next time
that the playoff games are over. Kind of curious where
you're seeing some of the money and the things. Obviously,
the Miami number moved right, so it seems like there
was some early Miami me money pretty quickly on that side.
Oklahoma Alabama is a rematch a few weeks ago, I
grabbed Oregon twenty and a half. Kind of curious your
(01:05:07):
thoughts on collegeable playoffs?
Speaker 8 (01:05:11):
Yeah, I mean, so the two that'll be you know,
obviously the James Madison and two Lane being massive, massive
dogs will be the one that the book is really
looking at, because you know, we're gonna take pretty much
nothing but favorite money there. Yeah, as you mentioned that,
Miami Texas is probably going to be the one that'll
be interesting, and then of course Alabama Oklahoma will too,
(01:05:33):
especially that being on a Friday Night.
Speaker 10 (01:05:35):
But those games are two.
Speaker 8 (01:05:36):
That I think that will end up probably a little
bit closer to fifty to fifty money. You know, we'll
probably end up needing Miami. That's Alabama. Oklahoma one I.
Speaker 10 (01:05:46):
Think is one that'll be close.
Speaker 8 (01:05:47):
So we'll see when we get there, I guess, but
I know we'll be hoping that maybe one of those
two Lane or James Madison can cover.
Speaker 10 (01:05:54):
I don't know if it will, but that's what the
book will probably hope for.
Speaker 6 (01:05:58):
Christian. You know, I text you a couple of weeks
ago about this year if you still had it, And
I see they did have the one O two juice
on Thursday night for people that don't know, one O
five juice all day long at bet MGM on Thursday,
one O two juice an hour before the game. How
do you guys handle that? Like that has to be
a loss leader. I just don't see you making any
(01:06:20):
money minus one O two both ways. Is that a
stressful thing that last hour or is it just, hey,
it's a lost leader, we have some fun with this,
or how do you guys manage that?
Speaker 8 (01:06:30):
Yeah, it's a little bit of both there, Like obviously
you're you're not going to do too well on one
O two spreads. And that's actually why one of the
reasons last week we went away from the one O
two and just stayed at one O five just because
that was a three and a half point spread right
around the number of two.
Speaker 10 (01:06:47):
Teams that were getting bet on.
Speaker 8 (01:06:48):
It was the Cowboys Lions game, so that was like
the one time he made a strategic decision to go
against it. But you know, for now, we're we're hoping
that that will get Garner some more off action, Gardner
some more same game parlay action.
Speaker 10 (01:07:04):
Kind of how we're operating.
Speaker 8 (01:07:05):
Yeah, that's kind of how we're operating with it because
of course, uh you know, you guys know well aware
that you know you're not going to make too much
money at that prices of that that number.
Speaker 2 (01:07:15):
Sure, well, hey, good stuff is always Christian.
Speaker 5 (01:07:18):
I hope you enjoyed the day, not too much, you know,
at our expense, you know, but I hope you have
a good day.
Speaker 2 (01:07:23):
Catch up with the next.
Speaker 8 (01:07:23):
Way if I could, If I could, just very quickly,
I want to touch on one last thing, Jet Mega.
Speaker 2 (01:07:28):
It's Megadeth, right, you want to shout out Dave.
Speaker 10 (01:07:34):
Shocking one.
Speaker 8 (01:07:35):
I just wanted to bring up Jets Jaguars fourteen points spread.
Speaker 10 (01:07:38):
We have like seventy seventy percent of the money on
the Jets.
Speaker 8 (01:07:42):
Very rare very on the Jets.
Speaker 2 (01:07:44):
Okay, on the dog, it's awesome on the Jets.
Speaker 8 (01:07:48):
Extremely I had to triple check my numbers because I
didn't Wow.
Speaker 10 (01:07:53):
I just wanted to touch on that because.
Speaker 6 (01:07:55):
Well, thanks for going about that. Yeah, people don't know that.
Speaker 5 (01:07:58):
That's a great nugget. That's that's a drop to Mike moment.
Speaker 6 (01:08:01):
That's unbelievable. A double digit dog, a fourteen point dogs,
seventy five percent of the money.
Speaker 8 (01:08:06):
Yeah, wow, Wow, I had a triple I had a
triple check that one.
Speaker 10 (01:08:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:08:10):
Crazy, Well, good stuff, Christian, I appreciate that nugget. At
the end, we all do and have a good day.
We'll catch you next week.
Speaker 10 (01:08:17):
Good luck you guys.
Speaker 2 (01:08:18):
There he is.
Speaker 5 (01:08:19):
Christian Sippolini, bet MGM, Senior trading Manager.
Speaker 2 (01:08:22):
Wow, what a nugget.
Speaker 6 (01:08:23):
I thought he was going to Jacksonville.
Speaker 10 (01:08:24):
There.
Speaker 6 (01:08:24):
Oh, so I forgot to tell you guys on the Jets.
Speaker 3 (01:08:28):
But yeah, yeah, I still got to bet Jacksonville.
Speaker 6 (01:08:31):
I can't double dig to the NFL.
Speaker 3 (01:08:33):
I don't normally do this like the eighty percent. I
just make sure my bets are not on that list,
all right, but now I feel like I have to
bet Jacksonville if all this money's on the Jets.
Speaker 6 (01:08:42):
Geez yeah, how about how about the Carolina game? I'm
say eighty percent.
Speaker 3 (01:08:48):
Wow, it's just funny because it just Saint's just one
against Tampa.
Speaker 5 (01:08:52):
And yeah, in Carolina they've lost eleven straight games as
the favorite.
Speaker 2 (01:08:58):
How about you, freak that is that's a crazy streak.
Speaker 3 (01:09:01):
That's surprising.
Speaker 6 (01:09:03):
Yeah, I mean the Saints beat Green Bay in green Bay.
This is that they're home now, you know, I know
Carolina is looking for a playoff spot here even I mean,
I got it, I got it.
Speaker 5 (01:09:14):
But yeah, all right, well well let's get some more
nuggets from Dan Byer over here, you know, with Christen
with some spectacular ones. So Dan Byer, it's like they're fencing,
you know, like Olympic fencing, right, and Kristen just he
touched the left shoulder of Dan Byer. Now Dan Byer,
he strikes back right here. That's what I feel like, Dan,
what's the latest, buddy?
Speaker 9 (01:09:34):
We're actually gonna go from one Christian to another because
Bill's corner Christian Benford inactive today, so one of the
inactives is the list star pouring in memory he had
that pick six of Joe Burrow last week. He is
not going to play. He's dealing with a foot injury.
Had been a toe foot injury for Benford, but he's
out for that big game against.
Speaker 3 (01:09:51):
The Patriots in New England.
Speaker 9 (01:09:52):
Chargers have a big game against the Chiefs today in
Kansas City, temperatures in the single digits. They'll be without
the Boltswell wide receiver Quinton John instant today.
Speaker 6 (01:10:00):
He's an active.
Speaker 9 (01:10:01):
Roma Dunze active for the Bears, so the wide receiver
goes against Cleveland.
Speaker 6 (01:10:06):
No surprise been.
Speaker 9 (01:10:07):
Nick Schubbing active for the Texans as they welcome the
Cardinals to town later on today. Forty nine is running
back Christian McCaffrey expected to start despite an illness. They've
got the Titans coming to town. Packer's running back Josh
Jacobs expected to play in Denver this fight in sorenee
and tomorrow night Steelers at Dolphins wrap up at Week fifteen.
Steelers head and Darnell Washington Clark decussion protocol.
Speaker 6 (01:10:28):
He'll play tomorrow against Miami.
Speaker 9 (01:10:31):
Right and Fitcher Merrill Kelly back on a deal with
the Arizona Diamondbacks two years, forty million dollars. LA Thomas
reports UCLA gave men's basketball coach Mick cronin a contract extension.
Agree to you over the summer that'll keep him in
Westwood through the spring of twenty thirty.
Speaker 3 (01:10:47):
Guys, back to.
Speaker 2 (01:10:48):
You, Thank you.
Speaker 6 (01:10:49):
dB.
Speaker 5 (01:10:50):
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by
bet MGM. Let's go with the Ravens against the Bengals.
Speaker 2 (01:10:58):
Six and seven.
Speaker 5 (01:10:59):
Ravens, you know, six to seven, love, six to seven.
Speaker 2 (01:11:04):
The Ravens now three point favorites on the road.
Speaker 3 (01:11:07):
This is this is insane. This is the It's the
same thing we've had with these other teams. Why are
the raven at three point favorite? Give me a reason
why they have not played well the entire season. Now,
all of a sudden, in a must win game, they're
gonna play well. I get. The Bengals defense is absolutely stinks.
I understand that's.
Speaker 5 (01:11:24):
What it would be, right, It wouldn't be Ravens related,
it'd be Bengals related, I guess.
Speaker 3 (01:11:28):
But the Bengals offense still plays well against Baltimore all
the time. Yeah, they played well every single time they
played them, and Baltimore's defense is not good. This is
that three. Now I will take Baltimore. I mean I'll
take the Bengals here plus three. The weather is cold
and miserable there as well. Like I just think Burrow,
I know what he said this week, and the reports
(01:11:48):
are like I read them tay where he was so
he was so ready to play, he cut his cast
off himself to try to get back on the field.
Dude's not quitting, right, He's not trying to win this game, man.
So Jamar Chase, by the way, just lights up this
team all the time. No T Higgins today as well.
So I think I get three points now a division
(01:12:09):
game with the Rave which are not playing very well. Again,
if they must win a game, they must not be
very good crack. So I lean Bengals here plus the
three points.
Speaker 6 (01:12:17):
Yeah, this this it's funny. I just look at the
spread nor in the break. It's always tough for me
to bet sides on the day of the game, but
I just this is one of the ones. I was
looking at that home dog. Another big division game here,
these two teams trying to keep their dwindling playoff hopes
alive in Cincinnati today. Four and eight Bengals. It's hard
(01:12:38):
to even believe. I could say that they can make
the but the teams make the playoffs now eight and eight,
so and it could be nine and eight, right, so
you know, theoretically they're mathematically alive in the playoff phrase.
But that comes to an end with the loss today.
Lots of rumors about Joe Burrow and his state of mind,
and some hints is a possible early retirement like Andrew
(01:12:59):
Luck That's wow, are possible scenery change even who knows?
Speaker 4 (01:13:04):
Right?
Speaker 2 (01:13:04):
I think it makes more sense that one crack?
Speaker 6 (01:13:06):
Yeah yeah. Lamar also hasn't really looked like himself this season,
but win today can get him back and control of
the division and give him the boost. They need to
build some momentum for the playoffs, so they have to
take care of the ball today, especially near the goal line,
where they've been made some unbelievable crucial turnovers this season
and last week's lost to Steelers, they really established a
(01:13:27):
round like they need to, but their defense just gave
up too many explosive plays and they took the loss.
I think it was twenty seven to twenty two with
the final Bengals without t Higgins today, but they still
probably have the most explosive duo the last couple of
years with Burrow and Chase. So this should be another
really good game, though maybe the best on the early
slate of the season with all these huge division games,
(01:13:51):
so interested to see there's some interesting games today. Even
though there's some giant spreads out there, I understand there's
some interesting game today that that uh and this this.
Speaker 2 (01:14:02):
Is one of them, of course, absolutely.
Speaker 5 (01:14:04):
And and you know the statement from Joe Burrow this
week that got a lot of attention and he was just,
you know, like completely downtrodden in his press conference where
he said, if I want to keep doing this, I
have to have fun doing it. I've been through a lot,
He's been through a bunch of injuries, all the rehab,
all that. I thought LeVar Arrington made a great point.
There's a promo for two pros and a cup of
(01:14:25):
Joe that's airing, and LeVar just said, it's.
Speaker 2 (01:14:28):
One thing to lose a game here or there.
Speaker 5 (01:14:30):
Quarterbacks, you know, all players lose games here or there,
but it's like sustained losing for Joe Burrow, and think
about when he transferred to LSU and all the success
that they had. He won a Heisman, they won a
national championship, undefeated the whole nine yards, right, and he
goes from that too. It's been a couple of years
removed from the Super Bowl appearance against the Rams. There's
(01:14:51):
been a lot of losing in Cincinnati since that point,
and so I think that's what it is, man. It's
it's the losing on top of the re have in
the injuries, and he's just he's just down right now.
And that's understandable. I don't think he's down to the
point where it's like I'm gonna walk away a lah
Andrew Luck. Like Jeff just said, the guy couldn't wait
to get back on the football field, right. So I
(01:15:12):
don't think he's lost any of his juice to continue playing.
I think he's just sick and tired of losing, and
he's sick and tired of rehabbing injuries. But that comes
with the territory. I think it's more so change of scenery.
Let's just start winning, you know, Like they say winning
is the ultimate deodorant. It's like he's got stinky pits
right now. Like his whole body. He needs some deodorant, right,
(01:15:33):
and and that's what he's aching for. I don't think
he's walking away at all.
Speaker 3 (01:15:38):
Yeah. So I uh, I get three points. This was
not three all week. Yeah, I'll take it again. The
Ravens must win the game. They must win. They have
to win. Oh well, they must not be very good.
Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
I'll tell you that's great. One thing to keep an
eye on.
Speaker 5 (01:15:55):
Derek Henry only ten rushing attempts in the previous meeting
against the Bengals. He should get a much heavier workload today.
Bengals can't stop.
Speaker 2 (01:16:02):
The rush at all.
Speaker 5 (01:16:04):

Speaker 3 (01:17:46):
Sorry about this. Is just the last time we have
to talk about Diego Pavia forever.
Speaker 2 (01:17:49):
This is I think he'll find a way.
Speaker 3 (01:17:53):
He'll follow the last time was the last one, last
time to do it.
Speaker 2 (01:17:56):
My gut tells me he will find a way.
Speaker 3 (01:17:59):
That's unfortunate. Yeah, sorry about that. That's how you interrupted, Areta.
Speaker 2 (01:18:04):
No, you're good, You're good.
Speaker 6 (01:18:05):
Sorry.
Speaker 5 (01:18:05):
Yeah, We're gonna dive headfirst into the prop betting waters.
Speaker 2 (01:18:08):
Let's do this.
Speaker 1 (01:18:11):
Drop it up player plays, Okay, crack.
Speaker 4 (01:18:16):
You live for this.
Speaker 5 (01:18:17):
It's like adrenaline into the veins here, prop bets.
Speaker 2 (01:18:20):
What do you have for us today?
Speaker 6 (01:18:21):
I mean, where do I go? There's so many different
props I sent you guys, twenty five props. I think
this week, let's go with Washington McLaurin under fifty nine
and a half, receiving yards, maybe some bed weather. They're
met life and you know, coming down to the end
of the season here where this game means nothing to
either team but Pride McLaurin under fifty nine and a
(01:18:42):
half receiving yards, so you.
Speaker 3 (01:18:46):
Can do the thing where like rushing yards, the one
where there's no two way market. There's like an over
for Brian Robinson Junior, but there's not one available in
the rushing over under us unfortunately. I think that he's
gonna get carries today with McCaffrey little a little beat up,
and the fact that I think this game is going
(01:19:07):
to be a game where the Niners will handle their business.
And we talked about this a lot like the backup
running back angle right is a way to play a
lot of these games. So that's not up at the moment.
That will be I think something to look at live
by the way, they'll put that number up as the
game starts. But I like Quinn John Juners today over
(01:19:27):
seventy five and a half rushing yards with the Browns A.
It's like negative four degrees in Soldier Field. B. They're
gonna run the ball a lot as they normally do.
See the Bears are not great. It's stopping to run.
So I think Judkins does a big day today.
Speaker 5 (01:19:41):
Okay, I love this one, even though it's climbing, getting higher,
getting a little bit richer. Give me Matthew Stafford right
now at bet MGM over too. Eighty two and a
half passing yards. That's a lot of yards right there.
But he is going to do unspeakable things to this
Lion's arry.
Speaker 2 (01:20:00):
They're banged up.
Speaker 5 (01:20:01):
No Brian Branch, no Kirby Joseph today, you know they're
just not even good to begin with. Well, at full
strength they are, but not banged up like this. Phuka
Nakua has been unbelievable this season and matched up with
demonte who's going today as well, Devonte Adams. I just
think this passing attack is going to be way too much.
(01:20:22):
The Lion's pass rush isn't great either, even with Hutchinson,
so I think Stafford just lights them up and I
think it's an aerial display today.
Speaker 2 (01:20:32):
Give me Stafford. So like that one?
Speaker 5 (01:20:34):
Coming up next arguably the best matchup of the entire day.
We break it down. Ah, Yes, what's going on? Happy
Week fifteen to you. I hope your Sunday is off
to a fantastic start. We will get to arguably the
best matchup of the entire Week fifteen slate in just
a minute. Hey, all season long, bet MGM's offering you
(01:20:54):
a second chance on your first touchdown bet. When a
customer places a wager on a first touchdown score bet
and he doesn't score first, but score second, bet MGM
will return one hundred percent of their stakeback in cash.
Get all your money back. Very nice promotion right there.
Little insurance. Gotta have health insurance, gotta have betting insurance,
right it's touchdown insurance right there. All right, So we've
(01:21:15):
got the Lions at the Rams, arguably the best matchup
of the entire day. Rams now a six point favorite.
Total is that fifty five scrept up steadily throughout the week,
got up to fifty five and a half, and then
it came down half a point, and that's where we've
been for a little while right here. I just think
this Rams offense is going to be a complete handful
(01:21:38):
for the Lions defense. I mean, the running game has
been good Kyron Williams, and your guy Blake Korum has
been fantastic here lately, Jeff, he's been awesome. And then
Matthew Stafford what he's doing in the air against this
banged up, decimated Lions secondary. I just think the Rams
do whatever they want to do offensive lying in this game.
I just don't think the Lions have close to an
(01:22:00):
enough to slow them down in this matchup.
Speaker 3 (01:22:02):
Yeah, the Rams won't make my my crack challenge today.
I agree with everything you said, Brian, I don't really
The Lions efense is not great and they're injured again.
The Rams had that blip against the the Panthers, but
this is the NFL. Man, You're gonna have some down winks.
So they came back from a down week and blew
(01:22:24):
out the Cardinals like dom forty five points last week.
The Lion I think, I think are just too beat
up to make this a game. The Rams feel like
they're on a mission. They're playing well, they're peaking right now.
Matt Stafford is gonna win the MVP, and this is
just another opportunity for for for them to The lines
have not been as good an offense this year, they're
not as good on defense this season, and this one
(01:22:46):
of those games where again there's this game, the Patriots
game and the Broncos game, we were like, that number
feels a little bit off. Why is that? And to
me that's when you go the other direction, right, you
just Rams minus six sam as so much Packers Bears
last week You're like, why, I like the Rams a
lot of this game.
Speaker 6 (01:23:03):
Crack, Yeah, this one can be a potential NFC playoff
matchup this year. A Lion's still needed to do some
work to get in of course, though the Rams sitting
number one seed. I love to get a first round
by here in the playoffs. This is a game that
features one of the biggest trades in NFL history when
they swapped quarterbacks really Stafford for golf. Stafford already won
(01:23:26):
his team in Super Bowl A, Lions still waiting, of course,
after all those back injury rumors. Stafford having maybe his
best season ever thirty five touchdowns, only four interceptions. He's
played pretty much perfect ball all year. The Rams have
had some good balance on offense lately too, running it
with these last week against the Cardinals two hundred and
(01:23:48):
forty nine yards thirty six carries, and the Allions really
don't have a great defense. Like Brian said, totals up
to fifty five in this one. I expect the back
and forth battle in this one. It could come. There
was the ball last, but I wouldn't be surprised if
it's just that any given Sunday thing, man, I wouldn't
(01:24:09):
be surprised that the Rams, you know, you know, really
this this game is closer than people think. Now there's
some sharps and some wise guys I know that are
on the dog here. They bet it instantly at the
beginning of the week. I think Brian said there for
a second when they bet it, it went to five and
a half. Everywhere it was even in five minus fifteen's.
Quickly next day someone came in, or maybe just the
(01:24:32):
book makers adjusted because I don't know anyone to bet
the Rams, but the Rams quickly back to six. Here
might be a better game than people think. And I'm
looking forward to watching a couple of games today. This
is on my list. This game.
Speaker 5 (01:24:45):
Yeah, I love this nugget. This is a great one
where the Rams. They've started really fast this season. So
they've scored one hundred points in first quarters. That's the
best in the league. It's fourteen points better than the
next closest team. And compare that to last season's Rams team.
They only scored thirty points in first quarters over the
(01:25:05):
course of the entire regular season. So think about that.
They're second to dead last. So thirty points in the
first quarters all of last season. Won one hundred points
in first quarters so far this season for the Rams,
so they they've gotten off to great starts, and I
mean that's that's a big deal in today's game for
the Lions, Like you don't want the Rams to get
off to a great start and then you're playing catchup
(01:25:28):
and you know it's I think that has disaster written
all over it. The other thing that I would mention
is if you did the blind resume test, it's amazing.
If I just spit out these quarterback numbers for you, Okay,
how about this twenty six touchdown passes, five interceptions, Top
five in passing yards per game at two fifty six
(01:25:49):
per game, Like completion percentages at seventy. Passer rating is
one ten point two. That's third in the league. They're
great numbers, right, Those are Jared Goff's numbers. And I
don't know what it is with this guy where I
watch him week in and week out, and I leave
most games and I'm like, eh, you know, like when
he has a pass rush in his face and he's pressured, he.
Speaker 2 (01:26:13):
Is freaking terrible.
Speaker 5 (01:26:14):
And I don't know if that just sticks in your
memory more than it should, because compared to his over
his overall numbers are fantastic, but it doesn't look like that.
Speaker 2 (01:26:24):
I don't know how to break it down with Goff.
It's the most insane thing.
Speaker 5 (01:26:28):
That you could walk away steadily like ugh, he just
nah me, like your nose gets crinkled up.
Speaker 2 (01:26:34):
You're like, eh, his numbers are off the charts good,
It's crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:26:39):
It's to me, it's just a physical look thing, right,
Like he's not physically imposing. He doesn't run the football
very much. And I think that like Stafford's not physically imposing,
but has a rocket of an arm, absolutely, like there's
a physical trait that's so above the rest of his peers.
Astly was thinking about this yesterday came to Philip Rivers, like,
(01:27:01):
who are the who are the non movers at quarterback
that are really good? And like, guys, you know, Aaron
Rodgers's been hurt a bunch just year. Not in that
category right anymore? Jared Goff, Okay, yeah, I think he's
in that group. But again, like a little bit of pressure,
because I was thinking about this, like, I Philip Rivers
gets pressure at all, he's gonna crumble. Like the only
guy is Stafford, right, who's sort of a non mover
(01:27:22):
who we think is like an excellent above average quarterback.
The rest of these guys are mahomes Burrow Alan like
Burrow's like it's a pocket guy. He does move very
well though, right, He's a good mover though, right, like
most of it. And I think Stafford's good in the pocket.
Was the Tom Brady thing, right, Like Tom Brady wasn't
a running quarterback, but he's very mobile in the pocket. Right,
he was able to move. And that's where I see
(01:27:43):
Stafford at in his career. He was able to move
very well in the pocket. And a lot of times
those type of older quarterbacks figure out like that's like
at the ball out quickly, they know where to go.
They know where they're hots and sites are at. They
where they're spposed to look. And that's what the culture
hoping that Philip Rivers does today, right the balls out
quick he knows where he's going being babing boom, hopefully
found some cleats to wear for the game.
Speaker 5 (01:28:04):
By now, it's kind of like the Calvin Johnson combine thing, right.
Speaker 3 (01:28:08):
Yeah, I have to borrow yeah, and uh I uh yeah,
I think the Rams are just on a mission.
Speaker 10 (01:28:15):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:28:15):
They're the team I trust the most to win the
Super Bowl right now, there really are I trust. Knowing
the AFC, it's kind of crazy. We're week fifteen. If
you were to put my money on someone, maybe Denver.
People like Houston too much in my Yeah, but he's
think cracks. Who's think crack? If Denver, if you trusted
bo Nicks ten more, would you pick Denver?
Speaker 2 (01:28:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:28:38):
Good defense, good offensive line, good weapons, good special teams,
good coach. Like everything is there except the quarterback. You
know people are talking to. Yesterday morning I was on
with with Anthony and like he loves the Texans. I'm like, buddy,
they can't block, right, Like, I can't take a team
who can't block anyone. The Broncos have everything in place
except look, the running back situation is not great's and
(01:29:00):
we just don't trust their quarterback. Which again, if if
they get if they have the buye get the one
seed that to win one game in the ANC Championship game, Yeah,
that's it's like they're that close to playing in that game,
even though we don't trust bon Nicks. That to me
is the AFC team. The Rams to me are the
NFC team I trust.
Speaker 2 (01:29:20):
Okay, I'm low on bon Necks.
Speaker 3 (01:29:22):
Man, I know, I know, but do you trust them
more than Houston?
Speaker 6 (01:29:28):
It's valid, that's a valid question. If it's tough.
Speaker 3 (01:29:31):
What about New England? What I do think? I do
think look cracks and tears, he so said out this.
I am. I I do think that playoff experience matters,
whether it was long or short. Like the Dever went
to the postseason last year. They got their butts kicked.
But there's a long history of first year in the playoffs,
(01:29:52):
you don't reach your super Bowl right Like as good
as New England might feel, Brian, this group has not
been in the postseason even like the Year two thing right,
Russell Wilson was in the in the playoffs as a rookie,
but Ben was in the playoffs as a rookie like
Mahomes was in starting year two, made the super Bowl,
was in the playoffs in twenty eighteen. Denver lease has
been there before. They know what it feels like. So
(01:30:14):
that's why I leaned Denver a little bit slightly over
anyone else.
Speaker 5 (01:30:18):
But think about this too, though, Think about this, like
I'll flip the question around if it was the Patriots
that got kicked in the teeth like the Broncos did
last season. Right, it was the Patriots who got feel
a lot better?
Speaker 6 (01:30:32):
You would, yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (01:30:33):
Would, yeah, yeah, Hey. I mean NFL history has shown
you that that first time in is very difficult the
first the second you're like, if this is yeah, they
played last year and got their butts kicked. I knew,
and it's a difference. It's to me, we've seen FI history.
It feels that way as well. Also to the way
this ends up working out. I mean those one and
(01:30:54):
two seats might end up with Buffalo the Raven did
they get in, Yeah, end up with the Chiefs, Like,
and these are terrible matchups for the ones.
Speaker 2 (01:31:02):
Yeah home games, sure.
Speaker 3 (01:31:03):
Yeah, we're like, they're pretty bad home games. Chiefs fans
like if we just went four in a row, Okay, sure,
whatever you say.
Speaker 5 (01:31:12):
By the way, I want to throw out a couple
of stats at you guys that I saw and they're
in this Titans Niners game, which I know you're not
at the edge of your seat, but a couple of
things stood out. One, the Niners are eighth in scoring defense. Right,
they've got a top ten scoring defense. They are dead
last in sacks. Isn't that crazy or their defense. They
(01:31:33):
don't have Nick Bosa, right, they're not getting heat on
the opposing quarterback. Dead last in sacks, but they are
eighth in scoring defense.
Speaker 2 (01:31:39):
That is wild to me. Like even just the Niners
being eighth.
Speaker 5 (01:31:43):
In scoring defense, that alone, with all their injuries is
impressive enough. But to be dead last in sacks and
you're still a top ten scoring defense, that's crazy to me.
Speaker 3 (01:31:52):
That feels food gayzy, Like, yeah, I remember having this discussion.
The parallel to me was like the Washington Huskies in
college football. We talked about this, I mean maybe or
I did on social media, Like they they had forced
only thirty seven punts all season entering the organ game
in week in Week twelve, but were like one of
(01:32:14):
the best scoring defense in the country. That makes no sense,
Like and you force no punts and don't allow points,
feel the Niners like, doesn't make sense, Like the numbers
don't show like there's that feels like a spot in
the playoffs where they get their their defense. Gus Cats
are like.
Speaker 2 (01:32:28):
They get totally points.
Speaker 3 (01:32:30):
Yeah, like they to me, the numbers have to match, right,
Like if you're good on defense, you better be good
on third down. You better be good a pressuring the quarterback.
Otherwise those don't hold up. They don't hope in the postseason.
And so when you look at some of these, you know,
heying with the Chiefs. The scoring defense is good, they're
not good on third down, Like that's that's like, that's
not really a thing to me. And then it didn't
(01:32:52):
matter when when it really matters that they can they
they can't get a stop. So I, you know, the Niners,
to me, I don't they're exposed in the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (01:33:01):
I feel like, Yeah, this is the other stat that
is pretty wild, is uh, if you look at Brock Purdy, Okay,
he's making fifty three million dollars per season, and you
look at the stats, Okay, there's one that stands out
to me. Nine touchdowns, seven interceptions. Okay, you know who
else has that? The opposing quarterback in this game, rookie
(01:33:22):
cam Ward right on the nose, nine touchdowns, seven interceptions.
You know the other quarterback who has exactly the same thing.
We heard him pronounce his name on Sunday Night Football
a couple of weeks ago.
Speaker 4 (01:33:33):
Marcus Mariota, Oregon.
Speaker 5 (01:33:35):
Yeah, I like a lot of people say, Marcus mary
that's wrong. Marcus mar mar mar mar Is mar Mar Okay,
Marcus Mario ta but you gotta go with the ta at.
The guy didn't know that he threw a Marcus Mariota.
Speaker 2 (01:33:47):
Yeah, he goes to.
Speaker 3 (01:33:48):
Mario, to Marcus Mariota.
Speaker 2 (01:33:50):
Orge hits the tea a little bit right there.
Speaker 3 (01:33:53):
Yeah, I was. I'm always curais about this, like that's
he never it was pronounced Organ Mariota for you always.
We've always said that. Now all of a sudden, just Mariota.
I just want to that's change it, switch it up?
Is that what the Kelsey's too isn't supposed to be Kelse.
Speaker 9 (01:34:06):
Like it is?
Speaker 3 (01:34:07):
Yeah, that's crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:34:11):
It sounds would never get clarity if it's Tyrod or
Torod Taylor.
Speaker 2 (01:34:16):
I guess we're back.
Speaker 5 (01:34:16):
To Tyrod right like it was it was to Rod
for a brief moment.
Speaker 2 (01:34:19):
I think we're back.
Speaker 3 (01:34:21):
Just just whatever year, just you're whatever season you're like,
I know, I go with with Williams sometimes with Bill.
It just depends on what mood cracks in there.
Speaker 2 (01:34:31):
You go, yeah, that's right, but how about that?
Speaker 6 (01:34:34):
Right?
Speaker 5 (01:34:34):
Brock Purty huge contract extension, nine touchdown, seven picks, same
as rookie cam Ward and backup quarterback Marcus Mariota.
Speaker 2 (01:34:43):
Terrible, terrible contract.
Speaker 3 (01:34:45):
It was dumb when it happened. These contracts are like,
you know, it's just I argue the time. Look, I
feel strongly about this. The teams are sort of stuck, right, Brian, Like,
what do you do? Do you just say we're done
with this quarterback, Let's find another one in the draft.
Speaker 5 (01:35:04):
Yes, yes, that's what you say. Absolutely, that's what you say.
Speaker 3 (01:35:08):
But this draft right now, there's only two quarterbacks that
really have first round grades, and one might not even
come out, and Dante Moore they're hoping he stays in.
And that means you have one quarterback with the first
round grade. So if you're a team of the Niners
this draft, you wouldn't find a quarterback. You just wouldn't
find it. So I think you just I think what
teams hope is this. It's quite simply this. I know
(01:35:30):
teams feel this way about their team in general. I
felt this way as a player. There were years I
was five and five. After Week ten, I thought to
myself this exact thought, if we can just get in
the postseason, we can win a championship. Right, just get in,
Just get in. We've seen it right the Giants and
was at eleven right the Patriots one was a five
seed with Tom Brady. Just get in, just get in
(01:35:51):
and make it happen. And that's why I think teams
feel if they can get in the postseason, we have
a chance. We got a chance Brian and Rock Party
can get him to that spot. It gives him an opportunity.
And I disagree with the end result actually being a championship.
Did to rule one time?
Speaker 5 (01:36:09):
Brian, Yeah, well that's I mean, I think the supporting
cast took him as well.
Speaker 2 (01:36:14):
That's fair on a rookie deal, you.
Speaker 5 (01:36:17):
Know what I mean exactly compared to on a monster extension.
Speaker 3 (01:36:20):
And you know, you're exactly right. And and then you
have to start hitting on draft picks with the Niners
had bad drafts for four years in a row. If
those so all those sudden the Chiefs are thinking, are
feeling that now, like the Chiefs are paying Mahomes a
lot of money, Chris Jones a lot of money, and
Travis Kelsey and and that's like the other guy's like
where the other guys at They're not there, So I
Miami's in same situation. Brian, Yeah, I love Miami, like
(01:36:44):
the Miami. Like guys watch out for Miami.
Speaker 5 (01:36:48):
You don't have to watch out for anything to watch
out for He's playing today, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:36:52):
Playing today Tomorrow You Pittsburgh tomorrow.
Speaker 6 (01:36:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:36:55):
Oh, Mike Toma's special. He's Toma's absolutely losing that game
tomorrow night to Mike Tomlan's special.
Speaker 6 (01:37:01):
The dog there to.
Speaker 3 (01:37:03):
Just point, that's what gives, right, Like the two one
cold Weather, toman Is is a favorite, like something has
to give it. It's a Trendolph in Pittsburgh tomorrow night.
So I get why teams do it, Brian Like.
Speaker 5 (01:37:18):
Yeah, I get it too. I get it too. But
it's it's all out of fear. That's what it is.
Like I agree the Dolphins like to It doesn't suck,
but he's not worth his contract extension. Like Kyler Murray
doesn't suck. He's not worth that money. Brock Purty doesn't suck.
He's not worth that much money. He is not a
guy that when you have to skimp on the rest
(01:37:38):
of the roster because you're paying your quarterbacks so much,
he can compensate for your loose ends. He's not that guy.
And yet these teams one after another. They're like, well,
I mean, we're winning games. It's scary to go to
the draft or with somebody else. Like mac Jones has
played better than brock Purty this season, Like inarguably it's
passer ratings ten points higher than brock Purty with the
(01:38:00):
same supporting cast. All of that, so, like to just
back up the brinks truck for Purdy is freaking crazy.
They should have They didn't have to extend him. He
was still on his rookie deal. He should still be
on his rookie deal and they could franchise him at
the end of this season if need be. If he
wasn't on this current contract, he would not get a
contract extension that he's already gotten after this. They wouldn't
(01:38:23):
even think about doing that. They'd be out of their
minds to give him the contract they just did.
Speaker 3 (01:38:28):
This is why the draft slot tends to matter and
these discussions because you mentioned mac Jones right, playing well,
playing better than brock Purty. But this is sort of
why he was a first round pick and why brock
Purty was not a first round pick right, where maybe
mac Jones just has more talent and he's able to
(01:38:49):
essentially overcome the same issues that Perty's playing with, and
Perty just can't do it. And that's why we talk
a lot about draft slot when it comes to evaluation
of players and how long their careers go, because you know,
a seventh round pick like myself, I'm just not gonna
get his me opportunities as a first round pick, because
those first round picks are looked at as again, like
(01:39:10):
more talented players. Am I arguing, I'm not disagree with that,
but looked as more talented players, Brian, So they get
better opportunities for longer, and then maybe they get an
opportunity to show that they can do it where I'm
just not gonna get that chance.
Speaker 2 (01:39:24):
Now, there's some truth to that, there's no doubt, all right.
Speaker 5 (01:39:27):
That's Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran Bill Krachenberger with
US professional sports handicapper. I'm Brian know every goal starts
with an assist on and off the field. That's why
Haleyon in US Soccer are launching for the Assist, a
celebration of everyday acts of support that help people achieve
their goals with iconic brands like Centidine, Tom's voltan Advil
(01:39:47):
and Centrum. To learn more, go do Hailey onassist dot com.
All right, coming up next, it's a great matchup another one,
as our guy DJ Khaled likes to say, and is
this team being sold short? You could argue based on
the points spread, they sure are. We'll dive into that one.
Coming up next, it is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to
Kickoff presented by betmgm. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown
(01:40:10):

(01:40:33):
mgm app. All right, more previews here. We've got the
packers at the Broncos and there's some Broncos money coming
in over here. The line is moved steadily and just
a very very small home dog right now. If you
look at Denver, let me get the updated odds for
you right here, Denver plus one at home total is
(01:40:54):
forty two and a half. The big question to me
is how healthy is Josh Jacobs. Right, he's got that
knee injury. Packers running back as Emmanuel Wilson out of
this game, so it's the Josh Jacobs show.
Speaker 2 (01:41:07):
How healthy is he?
Speaker 5 (01:41:08):
How much is that running game gonna be utilized against
the Broncos, because if he's iffy and he's not quite
what he is, can Jordan Love pick up the slack
against the top defense on the road. I think that's
where it starts, and I would expect I would expect
a lot of bon Knicks passing attempts and completions. They
use the passing game as sort of an extension of
(01:41:29):
the running game quite a bit, and I would expect
that in this one. I think bo Knicks completions is
a I think it's gonna be a high total today.
Doesn't mean he's gonna have a lot of passing yards,
but I think Sean Payton's gonna put him in those
situations where it's it's an extension of the running game.
Speaker 2 (01:41:45):
You know, a lot of it is that.
Speaker 3 (01:41:48):
I just don't know what to fear about. The Packers,
Like when I watched their offense play, Look, Brian, what
do you what do you fear? Like when you want? Like,
what do you like? Matt? I really that that worthy
about their offense. I think Jordan Love is fine. I
don't think he's bad. I think he's fine. There's always
a rush to make him I think better than he is.
(01:42:10):
I feel like they're a team that plays sort of
some of their parts, which is which is fine, which
there's nothing there's nothing wrong with that. But it doesn't
feel like a like a team that I trust on
the road in a tough place to play, because I
just don't really know, you know, you know, must win
and play Who's who's George Love? Who's he throwing to?
Speaker 4 (01:42:30):
Like?
Speaker 3 (01:42:30):
What's the big Like? I just you know what I mean,
I don't really I don't really know what to make
of the Packers. Each week, I somebody say, look good.
Even last week they come out go fourteen to three.
The Bears look dead. They look completely dead. In that game,
Williams was not playing well. And then the second half
of that game, Bears touchdown, touchdown, they drive to the
very end and Williams Dow's interception was a guy open underneath.
(01:42:52):
I mean, you should have thrown the interception. They can't
rush the passer outside of Parsons. I don't love this
Packers team. Crack. They don't fear me at all, you know, Denver,
I think I'm fear of all their defense. I like
they're still guys. And then of course the quarterback is
the problem, right, which is what we talked about earlier.
Speaker 6 (01:43:10):
Yeah, you know, we get a possible Super Bowl preview
here with the current AFC number one seed and current
number two seed green Bay starting started the season hot
but had some bad losses. Wow, I keep on going
back to that Carolina loss when they were like, we
had a fourteen here in town on that game and
fourteen point favorite losers out right, They're back to playing
(01:43:34):
an elite level with four straight wins, including big division
wins against the Lions Bears. Denver number one seed, but
still has a lot of doubters. Dudes that are inconsistent offense,
and I think I'm one of them. You know, I
have to hear about this from my podcast every week
from my co host how great Denver is, So maybe
that's just in my ear Also, Broncos defense has been
(01:43:55):
one of the best in the NFL though, so I
have to give them that credit there. Run has been dominant.
They lead the league in yards allowed per attempt. Uh,
It's it isn't just their front five either, their linebackers
Singleton Greenlaw playing an elite level, Packers will need to
establish some sort of running game though, if they want
to win this game. It sounds like Jacob's doesn't sound
(01:44:18):
like he's going to play even though there's been gonna practice.
He's gonna play, but he's not to practice all week.
You you just put them on the field day at
the game. It just seems like, wow, is that dangerous
just to get him a couple of reps? But I
had to practice all week with it with the knee injury.
Speaker 2 (01:44:34):
And they got the Bears game coming up the following
with yeah right, so.
Speaker 6 (01:44:37):
Yeah, yeah, Jordan Love been great when when he when
he has time, but when he's pressured, he's made some
really bad throws and mistakes. We all know the Broncos,
like I said about their defense, they're gonna put some
pressure on him. Can he play mistake free? While? We'll
see another great game though? Here we go another great
game Week fifteen.
Speaker 5 (01:44:56):
Yeah, It's kind of interesting too, where neither team is
taking the all away as great as the Broncos defense is.
They're twenty seventh in takeaways. The Packers are twenty fifth
in takeaways. And I mean they only have twelve this year.
They had thirty one takeaways last season they were fourth
in the league, so they're nowhere near that same total.
(01:45:16):
But two good defenses, obviously, the Broncos really really good defense.
I think that it's funny because it's the reputation versus
the reality. If you look at these two defenses, you
know which teams has a better passing offense, right It's
it's green Bay of course. Well, if you look at
green Bay, they're averaging two hundred and twenty three passing
(01:45:38):
yards per game. Denver's at two twenty. It's like three
yards difference right there. And then if you look at
scoring defenses, Denver has a much better reputation. They're fourth
in scoring defense. The Packers are sixth. Like, the Packers
give up point nine more points per game, not even
a full point. So the Packers play really good defense
as well. I just think, listen, the Packers have better
(01:45:59):
offense collectively than the Broncos do, and that might be enough,
that might be enough to carry the day. But man,
you give me a nasty defense at home, and you're
a home dog, right Like Broncos just started getting a
ton of respect here in this one.
Speaker 2 (01:46:15):
We'll see how it goes.
Speaker 5 (01:46:16):
All right, We've got Monzy Bolanos with us. How about
this special treat? You know, it's like the four by
one hundred meter relay and she's the anchor leg taking
us home. What's going on, Manzi?
Speaker 7 (01:46:26):
You know I'm dealing with a cough, so hopefully I
can get through this. I went to New York, lost
my voice, the whole thing. But hi guys, good morning,
good afternoon, depending where you're at. But I'm good to go.
I sound worse than I feel one hundred percent, so
do not worry about me. Do not worry about me.
I just lost my voice, and you know, the last
thing that comes back is like the cough, or like
the last thing that goes away is your cough. So
(01:46:46):
it's just like, I'm fine, but then you start talking
and then all of a sudden, I'm dying and it's like,
oh no, no, she's fine.
Speaker 2 (01:46:52):
She just lost her voice. She's coming back. So worry
what happened? You were at a metal show in New York.
Speaker 7 (01:46:56):
Obviously you know me so well, eating cheese its obviously
you know that's what I was doing.
Speaker 2 (01:47:01):
No, I did go.
Speaker 7 (01:47:02):
I did go see an Islanders game, but I just,
you know, I think my friend who I went with
was a little bit sick already. But it was so cold,
and just like you know, traveling across the country and
doing this in like four or five days, it was
a toll on me a little bit. But no, I'm good,
I'm good, I'm chilling, I'm feeling myself.
Speaker 8 (01:47:16):
You know.
Speaker 2 (01:47:17):
Hey, game's about to kick off in the NFL.
Speaker 7 (01:47:19):
Well, they're gonna kick off in about twenty five minutes
or so to kickoff or continue Week fifteen.
Speaker 4 (01:47:24):
As for who's in and.
Speaker 7 (01:47:25):
Who's out, Chiefs are gonna be without cornerback Trent mcduffy
because of his knee injury. Today they host the Chargers.
LA is gonna be without wide receiver Quentin Johnston. Wide
receiver Rome Odoonze is active for the Bears as they
host the Browns. Bill's wide receiver Joshua Palmer is also
good to go against the Patriots. Commander's wide receiver Deebo Samuel.
He's active against the Giants, but running back Chris Rodriguez
Junior is not. Wide receiver Rashad Bateman is inactive for
(01:47:47):
the Ravens as they take on the Bengals. The Eagles
are gonna be playing a fourth game without their all
Pro offensive tackle Lane Johnson due to his foot injury,
but he's expected to return to practice this week also
in case he missed it. On Saturday night, the very
important NBA Cup semi Finals, the Spurs defeated the Thunder
one eleven to one oh nine, where victor Win Bayama
came off the bench had twenty two points and nine rebounds.
(01:48:08):
It was only Okse's second loss of the season, so
San Antonio is going to face the mix in the
NBA Cup Championship that we're all going to watch on Tuesday,
December sixteenth. In college whoops, some of the final scores.
Number one Arizona on Saturday night stayed undefeated. They rolled
past number twelve Alabama ninety six to seventy five, and
number eight Gonzaga top number twenty five UCLA eighty two
(01:48:28):
to seventy two.
Speaker 2 (01:48:30):
Lastly, here in.
Speaker 7 (01:48:30):
Baseball, the d Backs and pitcher Meryl Kelly are in
agreement on a two year, forty million dollar deal. I
do have a question for Jeff, Yes, Jeff, how many
times did you warm up without a shirt in the
cold like mccollins.
Speaker 3 (01:48:44):
So mac hollins will get the attention that he ordered
by showing up with no shirt. And I actually think
that I actually want to fade every team or player
I see warm up without a shirt on, because you're
not tough. All your body you and energy keeping itself warming,
more energy, keeping yourself warm, like no one cares, No
(01:49:07):
one's you're so tough, Broy?
Speaker 2 (01:49:13):
Is he really down the snow?
Speaker 7 (01:49:14):
Yeah, he walked in barefoot, but he's also.
Speaker 3 (01:49:17):
But the shirt off thing like bro, no one cares, mad, congratulations,
I just don't like I might. I might look as
number now. Just fade him immediately. Today is playing today.
Speaker 2 (01:49:27):
He's there's there's a video of him.
Speaker 7 (01:49:29):
I think he is. He's already out there warming up.
Not only did he show up without a shirt and
without a without shoes, he's out there running drills without
a shirt.
Speaker 3 (01:49:39):
So he's just so tough, mad, I can't hate him.
I'm sitting here and I'm warm and he's just so
tough out there playing football. I don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:49:49):
You guys, all right, good stuff there she is, Manzi.
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff, presented by
bet MGM.
Speaker 2 (01:49:56):
How about the nightcap.
Speaker 5 (01:49:57):
We've got the Vikings at the Cowboys. Vikings five and eight,
Cowboys six six and one. Cowboys are five and a
half point home favorites, totals.
Speaker 2 (01:50:08):
At forty eight.
Speaker 5 (01:50:09):
I mean, I'm really interested to watch Dallas's passing offense.
They're number one in passing offense. Minnesota is number four
in passing defense. So that's an interesting matchup right there.
And I get and the opposite is true. It suck
versus suck. It's the Vikings passing offense is awful. Their
thirtieth in passing yards per game. Dallas's pass defense is
(01:50:30):
the worst. Literally, they're dead last in the NFL. So
something's got to give, Like, can the Cowboys move it
through the air on Minnesota's good pass defense? I can
JJ McCarthy do something against the worst passing defense in
the NFL this season?
Speaker 3 (01:50:46):
So few things here. I mean, if you can tell
me what McCarthy shows up, I'll tell you who wins
the game. And who covers obviously. Sure one thing that
I'm so glad that happened the Cowboys last game, which
is a blow loss of Lions. We can stop pretending
their defense is good. I don't. For a couple of
weeks it was like Quinn Williams Jerry Jones is a genius.
I'm like, he's ad tackle and the numbers don't show
(01:51:09):
that they're good at all on defense. And then the
Lions just dashed them and nown't have to pretend they're
terrible on defense. They've stunt all season. They would do
better with Micah Parsons than Quentin Williams. I like, it's
not even a question that that's the case. It's so
funny how the media just wants to run there's no
they weren't good. They're not good. I mean the Vikings
on the side here, I know a few things that
(01:51:31):
could trust with the Vikings. The things I trust with
the Cowboys Dackle potentially, you know, put up points. But
their defense is bad because to me, it is too
many points for Justin Jefferson and Addison and the play
calling ability of Kevin O'Connell. Uh, the Vikings defense is
not bad, so correct, I mean toy Minnesota. Plus, look,
(01:51:53):
this is another game where you know the public will
be all over the Cowboys, all over the Cowboys, So
I'll take the Vikings here.
Speaker 6 (01:52:00):
Two teams on playoff life support here. Both of these
teams desperately needing win. The Vikings are eliminated with a
loss today, but they're still hoping McCarthy can make some
progression down the stretch. Like you said, though, jeff which
one shows up here? Cowboys still in the NFCS race,
mostly because the Eagles have been losing games. The defense
has been terrible all.
Speaker 3 (01:52:20):
Seem mostly the only reason.
Speaker 6 (01:52:22):
Yeah, yeah, that's really true. Yeah, Cowboys love a lot
the most passing yards in the NFL. Vikings head coach
O'Connell is a pass first kind of guy, so I
expect to let macarthy air it out today. Jefferson could
have a big game here versus the Cowboys with their
bad secondary. Also, dak is quietly having one of the
most productive years he's ever had. Cowboys offense has been
(01:52:45):
scoring a ton of points, especially at home. This one
could be another one of those who has the ball
last games. Another game though, should be a decent one
to watch and at least it's in prime time. We
get a okay game back and forth here hopefully.
Speaker 5 (01:52:58):
Yeah, man, I've said it all. See and I think
that DAK is last year's Joe Burrow, right. He's putting
up huge numbers and the defense isn't good enough. They're
gonna be an average team at the end of the day.
The record wise is gonna they're six six and one.
They're trending to be exactly five hundred, Like you can,
it's hard to be exactly five hundred in the NFL
these days. With seventeen games, you play an odd number
(01:53:21):
of games, like the Cowboys have a chance to be
exactly average, which I think is what they will be.
And yeah, I mean, Dak's been special this season, but
it's a wasted season because the defense just isn't nearly
good as good enough to get anywhere, which it should
be a fun night cap.
Speaker 3 (01:53:36):
It's so it's so funny. Remember last year, the Bengals
are team no one wanted to see the playoffs. No
one's see the playoffs. I mean, yeah, the thirty second
ranked defense. No one wants to see the playoffs. I know,
I feel abou Dallas and no one's saying that about
Dallas this year. But it's like they're a playoff team. Well,
they should have won against the Panthers and the Cardinals, Like,
if you want to playoff team, you should have won
those games, but they didn't. They're not a playoff team.
Like that's that's the reason why, right, They're not a
(01:53:57):
playoff team for that reason, and all games count. I
know that we talk about playing well this time of year,
and certainly is important. I'm not excusing that, but the
fact is, the games matter now because you win games
early this season, and being hot now doesn't matter if
you don't make the playoffs. And Dallas obviously not hot
because they just lost to the Lions. But I just
(01:54:18):
the Cowboys defense is not good and this game I
feel like I can get I think I trust McCarthy
a little bit in this game to get the ball Jefferson,
to get the ball to these weapons and cover the
five and a half.
Speaker 5 (01:54:29):
You know there's something that you said there, Jeff that's
important for like the slate of games today in a
lot of instances where I think the past factors into
the present more than it should. Meaning this, like if
you look at the difference between the Bengals last season,
the Cowboys this season. No one's saying like, oh man,
don't let the Cowboys in the playoffs. Wouldn't want to
(01:54:50):
face that, Like, no one's realistically saying that, because we
know their defense is so bad, and no one's shaking
in their boots because they haven't done anything in the
playoffs for you know, since the mid nineties, you know
what I mean, So you're not scared of them. Meanwhile,
like Joe Burrow and the Bengals last season, they weren't
that far removed from a Super Bowl appearance, you know,
(01:55:12):
so more people are more comfortable say, oh no, I
don't want to face the Bengals.
Speaker 2 (01:55:16):
But it's like, why wouldn't you want to face them?
Their defense is freaking brutal.
Speaker 5 (01:55:20):
You should love seeing them matched up against you in
the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (01:55:23):
But that's why I think.
Speaker 5 (01:55:24):
I think the past factor is too much into the
present at times. That's why people are trying to ride
with the Chiefs and the Ravens. Still, it's like they're
not good, dude.
Speaker 3 (01:55:34):
You don't tell me. I don't believe any of those teams,
and the Bengals are probably making a crack challenge. I
think okay, a few minutes.
Speaker 2 (01:55:44):
All right, that's right around the corner.
Speaker 5 (01:55:46):
We've got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper.

Five games against the spread.
Speaker 4 (01:57:34):
We call it the.
Speaker 2 (01:57:38):
Al right, the Schwartz Syndicate. You start us off.
Speaker 6 (01:57:41):
What do you like? Jeff? Are you with us? Okay?
Jeff is not here right now? Can I pick for him? Please?
Oh my god? Yeah, give us give us your.
Speaker 2 (01:57:56):
Five, Okay, I'll go with you.
Speaker 5 (01:57:57):
I'm gonna go with the Patriots plus two and a half.
I've liked him all year. I like him in this
spot as well. I'll take the Rams. I think the
Rams put it on the Lions. I'm sorry, Chris Pophet,
Technical Producer extraordinaire. I just think they get whatever they
want offensively. Give me Seattle. I'll lay the thirteen and
a half. It's just it's one of the best defenses
in the league at home against the forty four year
(01:58:20):
old guy coming off the couch. That's crazy to me.
So I'll take this the Seahawks. I'll lay the points,
and I'll take two big underdogs. Give me the Titans
plus twelve and a half and give me the Raiders
plus twelve. I'm on the twelve and a half point
dogs right there.
Speaker 6 (01:58:35):
So all right, Jeff saw all the double digit favorites.
Speaker 2 (01:58:37):
He told me, Jeff, can you hear us? You guys
got me?
Speaker 3 (01:58:42):
Yeah, you got got me? We got right here we go. Sorry,
I heard that, crack, I heard that?
Speaker 6 (01:58:47):
All right?
Speaker 3 (01:58:47):
All right, all right, if you guys, if you guys
hear me, I think I'm talking to someone. Yeah, I
will take, uh, let's see here, give me the Seahawks
minus thirteen and a half. I like the Rams minus six.
Give me Browns plus seven and a half. We talked about
the game at all. I will take Bengals plus three,
(01:59:08):
and I will take give me a Saints plus two
and a half.
Speaker 5 (01:59:13):
Okay, like it, you're doing it. Okay, little rapid fire crack,
you got a play for us? You want to throw
out the.
Speaker 4 (01:59:19):
Room, rapid fire, Yeah, he was.
Speaker 6 (01:59:25):
Give me the Saints at home, Saints at home plus
the two and a half.
Speaker 5 (01:59:28):
Even, okay, green with the Shwart syndicate, how about that
on same side?
Speaker 7 (01:59:32):
Right?
Speaker 2 (01:59:32):
Anything else you want to mention.
Speaker 3 (01:59:33):
Jeff, I like Brian Robinson overs if you can find them.
I like like corm overs expecting a bit of a
shootout there. He'll get a lot of running this game.
And then I took I took Sanders and Williams under
passing in that weather in Cleveland, fans Chicago very.
Speaker 5 (01:59:53):
Cold, got it. I'm gonna go with the Rams team total.
Give me over thirty and a half. I just I
don't see the Lions slung.
Speaker 2 (02:00:00):
Down at all today.
Speaker 5 (02:00:01):
All right, Cracks, play the day. No fancy issues we
do have. Fancy Enjoy.
Speaker 4 (02:00:04):
This is the best play of the day.
Speaker 3 (02:00:07):
It's a touchdown.
Speaker 1 (02:00:09):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (02:00:09):
We're fancy today.
Speaker 6 (02:00:10):
What you have for uscrack Hampton, Hampton under chargers Hampton
on the rushing yards forty two and a half.
Speaker 3 (02:00:15):
There we go.
Speaker 5 (02:00:16):
He broke our heart, our hearts, Yeah, yeah, yeah, I
