over the place. And then one thing that I bothered
me more than anything else last night watching the Note

I don't need everything going on at once. I closed
the computer and so I'm watching the end of the
Arizona State game as I'm flipping back to Washington State
and it's still not even that good of a game yet.
I go to bed and I wake up and I
see the update that you see a A wins and
I'm like, what what? So I'm watching the replay right now.

It's about five minutes to go in the game on
the replay, But what a comeback man, and Washington State.
You just gotta do better. You just gotta do better.
You can't be gaining over seven hundred yards offensively and
kicking game like that defensively, you gotta rely on some
semblance of defense. What about the quarterback Anthony Gordon? Those
five hords and seven the yards breaks the school regular

But here's the thing, you know, if you're a TV executive,
I mean, it's exciting as this game was what the

the long haul. Short term this isn't great, but long haul.

who's on thin ice right now, that's a big win
for him. And if he sticks around in the conference,
that's even better because he's got a name. Same concept
with USC. I think this is good for the long
haul if you get USC back to prominence, but I
think it's bad for the short term because especially Utah,
that's a top ten team, they go down. Washington State

was ranked at nineteen overall, So your ranked teams in
the Pack twelve, they're just getting eaten by other Pack
twelve teams. So you don't have one team above everybody else.
So I think getting USC and U c l A
on track is good for the long haul, but not
for the short haul. You make mention of that Washington
State which did lose. Next week they play Utah, so

that that's gonna hurt the conference even it's one of
them is gonna go down again next week. Yeah, yeah,
And it's look at the You look at the A
c C. If you don't have Clemson doing what they're doing,
if you don't have them as the rock star of
the conference, you're looking at that conference and saying there
is a lot of mediocrity here. They had a Power

don't have Clemson dominating, you look at that conference much differently.

don't have that team up top to bring respectability to

hate to ruin you a day, but I gotta talk
about Notre Dame. And honestly, I was pulling tell you
how much I was joining for Notre Dame. I watched
it on CBS, right But then after a while, I
said maybe, And this is really crazy, but I know
a lot of people feel the same way I do.
So I'm gonna say it. A lot of times you

watch a sporting event, you say, wonder if I didn't
turn that on or listen at that point in time,
would that event have happened? Right? So I shut the
TV off and I turned on the Notre Dame radio
network to listen to Notre Dame Radio, and I thought,
maybe you'll give the Irish a little more luck, because
I'm a Notre Dame fan really and I love you,
and I think it's gonna help you a little bit too,
and you'll be in a better mood today. Have not
Youre Dame Wednesday game. And I love Brian Kelly because

he coached it Cincinnati, and I know Brian Kelly. I
like him a lot. So I was hoping they win,
you know, really, I really was, and like it. Just
they couldn't get over the And they started so great defensively,
because everybody says that the SEC is fast and great.
Notre Dame was step for step for them the first quarter.
Maybe fast, speed, tackling, aggressive, tough. I said, this is great.

This I didn't expect this at a Notre Dame, great tackling,
and all of a sudden the roof cave in. Well, yeah,
they just too many sloppy penalties and no running game.
They couldn't run the ball and just doing the little things.
If it's third and two and they don't snap the
ball right, you know, if it's third and two and
there's a false start penalty, and that's not gonna be

on the highlight shows at all, but it kills drives,
and they did too many of those things. They hung
with Georgia, there's no doubt they were right there. They
had the ball, final drive and they just they couldn't
figure it out offensively. But they proved that they can
hang with an SEC team on the road. I thought
it was a respectable performance. But the disheartening thing is

if you win that game, if you find a way
to put together a final drive, you are in a
great position to make the playoff again because the rest
of the season, that schedule, it's very manageable. And that's
an opportunity that they just missed. But it's a fantastic game.
And how about Kirby Smart He kicks the field goal
to go up twenty three to ten instead of going

for it on fourth and one, and believe me, they
he would be second guests like crazy if No Dame
puts together a final drive. But it works out. It
works at sometimes, believe it or not. In this age
of college football, relying on your defense actually pays off,
and it did for Georgia last night. Well to two
things really hurt notre dameless and you mentioned in both

the rushing game and they were out rushed like one
two to forty six and the turnovers that they had
sloppiness really and two with deceptions by book. But the
point is this that you're right, they weren't embarrassed and
they played with them and they can't play again. But
that one loss will hurt them. Well, we'll see what

get at least two teams in the final four from

back and forth. I mean, would I have a turn

don't think so, but for college I do, and it

if it's there's just one game on my TV, on

go out to the sports bars all the time for
the early games. If there are more than five early games,
which typically there always are, I'm out. I'm at the

got to see everything at the same time. And then
I'll come back home for the late games. But I
have Sunday ticket on my computer, right so I'll have
depending on like today, here's a good example, there's five
afternoon games, I'll have four of them on my computer.

get really geeky here, Andy Ferman. If there are two
games on network TV, I'll have one on the big
screen one on my other TV that I'll bring in
and just put on the table. Then I'll have three
games on my computer. That's how I get down Ferman
and done type stuff. I can't watch a game of
the sports bar because I'm too much of a social

animal talking to people in schmoozing. I can't do that,
and I can't do it with the sounddown. I can't
do with the sound. And number three I probably lick
it up if I got a sports bar, So I
can't watch a game of the sports bar, right number one?
Number two today the Cincunti Bengals, our home team here
where I live. All right, we're in Buffalo. I'm gonna
zoom and the watch the entire game unless he gets
out of control. That's what I'm gonna do. I'll watched

the band and then I'll see what's on in the
afternoon game, and certainly watched the Sunday night game. That's
what I do. I can't watch too many games at once.
I liked to zoom and just watch one. All right,
we'll see what anybody else supposed to do. I think

beat the Ohio State. I mean, honestly, you gotta believe

he's on some sort of a hot seat up there
in Michigan, don't you think, Yeah, Well, he's certainly on
the hot seat for criticism. He's been on that hot
seat for a long time. In terms of the hot
seat where he's gonna get fired. It's getting hotter the
more the losses like this pile up, because not only
was this a loss to Wisconsin, it was embarrassing. Man.

They're supposed to be competing for national championships and this

I think that a lot of DIVA wide receivers they've

is that guy, and the Colts have a pretty good

have a body of pork and you know that Teddy
can be steady as a starting quarterback. Can he be special?

a lot for Teddy Bridgewater because he didn't have that
last week when he went in and played against the Rams,
and and obviously he wasn't wasn't very good. I mean,
give the Rams credit, they played a very good game defensively,
but I mean Teddy Bridgewater should look sharp at today.
For Mason Rudolph, well, I mean, look, the Silers made
a trade, sending a first round pick to the Miami

Daltons for Mankea Fitzpatrick to play safety for them, especially
after Sean Davis got injured and it's gonna end up
missing the season apparently with a torn laborum, So they
make a move to help them. Now, I mean, if
they thought that that pick would be a top send pick,
would they be trading for make it Fitzpatrick? Probably not,
So I think they have ate at Mason Rudolph. You

know who's gonna be able to get the job done.
Make it that Patrick will be an upgrade to their
secondary and they'll be in the hunt for the playoffs
once again. But you know, all and three is gonna
be a huge hole for the team to try to
dig out of. And they got to be able to
stop that San Francisco running attack. I mean they are
really good and then improved defense. I mean they're playing
so much better. The Bengals twenty five rushing yards on
the ground last week, the lowest total in Cincinnati history

since they entered the NFL in a home game rushing yards.
I think one of the best matchups today is the
Texans at the Chargers, and I think it's largely being
glossed over. My question to you is, if you go
back a last week and you see the Texans they
win ugly thirteen twelve something like that, right, and then
you look at the Charges they lose ugly thirteen to ten.

We've seen good some bad from both teams so far.
Which team, not necessarily today, but which team for this
season do you feel like you know better than the other?
I think we know what the Houston Texans are. I
think the Chargers could change compassion wise, or Melvin Gordon
returns and not like they're suffering running the football with

Austin Ekeler. I mean, you know, Josh Jackson is averaging
what eight point nine yards to carry. It's it's just
crazy what he's doing. A young man from Northwestern, the
seventh round pick from eighteen, and you know, maybe they'll
give him a little bit of extended action. But I
feel like that team when they if they get throwin
James back, is gonna look a lot better. I mean,
they just got some major injury problems right now. Hunter Henry.

When are they going to get their kicker back? Mike
actually doubtful to go today because of a groat injury.
I think with Houston. They got to protect the Shawn Watson.
I mean, NFL history can be made today, Brian. They've

will be the ninth straight game that that had happened,
and that is an NFL record. They've allowed him to

get hit back, allowed him to get sacked at least
four times in eight straight games. He is not going
to survive the season. The odds are really against it

Kansas City defense today? I am so curious about this
game because we've seen Lamar Jackson play against the worst
team in the NFL, the Miami Dolphins. We can all
pretty much agree on that. I mean not minus ninety
two points, and I do want to point out that
no team had been been at nine minus nineties something
since the one Oakland Raiders after two games. So this
is uh, this is just a dreadful team. So the

Ravens beat them up, and then they play Arizona, which
was the worst team in the NFL in two thousand
and eight. Team on an improved team, yes, but still
not a world beater. So this is the first legitimate
competition that the Ravens get. Two things. Number one is
whether going to be a fact. So there's been some
talk of rain and wind. Is that going to affect
the way that the team's you know, approached this game.
And if it does well, youve gott to feel pretty

good about Baltimore's rushing attact with mark Ingram, you know,
and Justice Hille complimenting Lamar Jackson. Maybe for the Chiefs,
you know, la Shawn McCoy not a hundred percent healthy
shoot play Dainty and Williams isn't. And you also have
Eric Fisher out their left tackle. I just want to
see the Ravens fall behind. Can they win to shootout
against Patrick Mahomes? Can they match them point for point?
I just don't. We don't have anybody of work that

tells you that. And the Chiefs have now scored what
twenty six or more point in twenty straight games, an
NFL record, I mean, they have been basically unstoppable. What
can the Ravens do to try to make this a
manageable game? If the Chiefs are in the twenties are lower,
I think the Ravens have a legit shot of winning. Otherwise,
forget about it. There's no way I think that the
Ravens can keep up if it's going to be, you know,
point for point on the scoreboard. There's only one winner
