Visit geico dot com for a free rate quote. Did
(00:23):
you miss me? Oh? I hear some of you guys
out there, grim like, what are you talking about? Lincoln?
I wasn't here last week? The jerks anyways, Um back
from the pond, across the pond, across the water, how
you want to say, the London extravaganza. I was gone.
Um and then uh had a little mini vacation because
the Raider is gonna buy this week. But I'm back
and I'm happy to be here. And this, you know,
(00:46):
along the aside the obvious for Ryan Chris and fagging
the guys and everybody in Los Angeles and southern California
deal went with the wildfires. Send my heart out to
you guys. Hope everyone's safe. But um, this is a
wonderful time of year. That being said, on everything aside,
and this is a wonderful time of year. I love October.
I love the crossover of the sports, especially when it
(01:08):
means something. Just let's think about this college football. The
games start to matter. You start to separate the good
from the bad. You start to see who's worth ranking
versus who is not. This is a big day in
college football. It started last night. Virginia lost the lost
to Miami, and Virginia was ranked number twenty. So you know,
Miami is still trying to prove that they're capable and
(01:28):
they're the the you and every one thing of the old.
That was a big game. Oregon dominated Colorado, which you
know what, most people didn't think it was gonna be
hard for them. But they're still chugging along into Pack twelve.
And then you've got hockey starting, You've got basketball starting.
More importantly, you got you got baseball playoff baseball. I mean,
(01:51):
a thirty five year old picture almost tossed a no hitter.
You put that in perspective of where you are right now.
Thirty five year old picture almost tass a no hitter,
and the National League Championships heres, And about Sanchez, chip
my hat to him. And even more so, what you
don't get in these days. Is you've got a picture
who went almost a distance, I mean into the eighth
(02:16):
You you you, you don't. You don't see that these
days because all the analytics and middle closers and figures
much more of a baseball man. So we can talk
to that jargon better than I can. But you know, you, you,
you just don't see those things happening. And for it
to see from a thirty five year old and not
one of the normal names that you expect with the
Nationals to see it, and just just the Nationals and
(02:40):
the Cards being there is is a surprise in itself
because look, when I was last on there, I I
was tipping my hat to the Dodgers thinking I don't
know how they're going to be stopping, and they're no
longer in it, So I know I got plenty of
friends or Dodger fans. I'm sorry, it's just said. It
never just goes as chalk. But anyways, it's a great
time of year, and then you talk about the pro game,
and this is the time of year where you start
(03:01):
to separate the good from the bad as well. You know,
for as many people who want to jump on the
jocks of the Patriots. They haven't played anybody, and they
don't play anybody. They've got a fortunate Sketchlan And I'm
I'm yes, I'm jealous, part jealous, but at the same point,
I'm also pointed out the obvious. You know, damn well,
they haven't played anybody, and with this offense and and
the sort of the disarray that it is right now,
(03:22):
still trying to find itself. I know, you got the
greatest quarterback that played, and Tom Brady and all this stuff,
but Bill Chill, Bill Belichick is gonna have to use
all of his genius when he actually gets into teams
that that that can win and that can score. On
this team, I know the defense is holding together, but
we'll see how this all pans out. But that's still
being said. I still think it's the Patriots in the
chiefs and the AFC Championship game viron for the right
(03:43):
to the Super Bowl until someone else perys me wrong. Um,
but it's a great time here. And you know, I
I sit here and wonder who's going to be playing
in the National Championship because I think Clemson looks vulnerable. Um,
you know, you still haven't seen a lot of work
out of some of the other teams in the top ten.
But you will, these are making them breaking weekends for
(04:06):
a number of college football teams. And of course, basketball
is basketball, with the preseason the regular season. Those people
that know me know that I really don't h I
really don't care about NBA until it gets around Christmas
because that's when it starts some matter. But other than that,
it's a great month. And um a technical producer, Chris
is a Lions fan. Chris, I want to bring you
(04:28):
in for a moment. How are you uh surviving here?
Just got a lot of smoking the throats, but we're good,
all right? You know what, I've seen maybe two games
of your Lions. But there are a lot of people
who are talking about the Lions. Uh what do you
think about them taking on the pack? It's it's rough
(04:51):
because on one hand, you want to feel good about
what they've done so far. It's it's two wins. I
know they had the rough start against Arizona and the
loss against Kansas City hurts, but then you saw what
they what they did and how well they game planned
for Kansas City, And then you saw that game plan
executed a little more thoroughly. By teams in the weeks following,
(05:14):
and you gotta think when it comes to the Packers,
like they've had the Packers number in the past few years,
and they have this, you know ability, really uncanny ability
to game plan for anyone to really dragged them down
into the mud and beat them in really ugly games.
But at the same time, I feel less confident after
watching the Packers play the Dallas like, yeah, they did
(05:36):
let the Cowboys come back in that game, and it
ended closer than it probably should have. But I think there,
I think there's a puncher's chance, uh for the Lions
that in this game. And you'll excuse me if I
just pause because Anthony is here and he just went
blue blah blah blah blah blah blah blah in my
ears blah blah blah blah blah blah, Am Darius because
(06:04):
I missed you. I missed you too, big link. You
know what. Chris was just finishing his point about his
his assessment of this because you know, he's a Lions fan,
so we don't have to deal with here. See what
I have to deal with here every time to say,
come on, we got we got three hour three and
(06:25):
a half hours. I don't I don't care about Kaplan.
I just care about Lincoln. I'm not going anywhere. Le
Let you don't go anywhere. I still I had Matt
Moseley last week from Gallas and I'm still I'm still
shaking from it. Oh I'm still shaking from the cowboy
(06:46):
fan and the cowboy rhetoric. Oh Lord, thank god King's back.
I'm back. Cheerio my friends, cheers man, How are I finished?
Finished your point? Chris? I don't even know where I was,
and you were you were talking about here, here's the thing.
(07:07):
You were mentioning the cowboys in the pack and you
have said the Cowboys came back into the to the
game and probably made it more interesting that should have been. Yeah,
I mean, well, I just I think I think what
the Packers show, what they had with Aaron Jones and
with Aaron Rodgers, Like Aaron Jones was about the receiving
and rushing leader on the year. Like the Packers still
have weapons regardless of what injuries they've taken on and
(07:30):
they we're playing in their home field and this is
really for to get out and first passed the post
for the NFC North so It's interesting again. I really
like the Lions chances to really game plan for anyone,
to really scheme up and cook up whatever they need
to beat whoever they play. But at the same time,
the Packers still have a lot of talent on them. Yes, yes, really,
(07:52):
yes team. They tied the Cardinals. It was a Week one.
That was a week one. Week one games are always weird.
We know this, We've known the for years that Week one,
like some teams come into week so so christ sympathy. Okay, okay,
let's se bottom line, are you taking the lines to
(08:13):
win with your heart not not your head? I mean
with your head, not you Yeah, dude, I can't take
any more this really, We're just I'm just we're going
to close this chapter right here. We're gonna move on.
I just want to know. I just want to yes, yes, yes,
I will take them. I am never confident the Lions,
and this will backfire on me immediately, but after watching
(08:35):
this team, I think they can surprise some people on
Monday night. They've got the rest coming in and yes,
and it's it's all about you now, so please you
know the floor as you are, as you're here late,
get to be here all right, because what's going on
with Thank god? How you doing? What's man? Yeah? I
(08:56):
miss you? Guess so you've been logging all kinds of miles.
You know what here is here's the funny thing after spending.
I mean, we did it back in teen, but it
was different because I was out being a tourists and
stuff like that. Um when we when the Raiders went
over there to play the first time in London, you
know what's and a please the grove where we were
at was beautiful, the food wonderful, the people all and
(09:17):
I went to Dublin that was wonderful. So if yeah,
I went out, I didn't play. I'm not a golf player,
but I did go out there. Yeah, I mean I
went for the whiskey, I went for the guinness, and
I was looking for the red heads anyways. But um
I I what's different about the UK. And it's not
(09:37):
just we in America. We we get we get our routines,
we get our part of our routines. Sports. Sports. In
the UK, they didn't have basketball on and they didn't
have baseball on, they didn't have football on. I lost
and it felt it threw you out of sorts as
a sportsman, because your routine was thrown off. So there
(10:01):
wasn't any college football, there wasn't any pro football. It
wasn't a Thursday night game. I mean, we're eight hours
ahead from the West coast, um, I think five hours
from you, five hours ahead, and so everything that was
happening in the States was either on very early in
the morning or late late, late at night. You're getting
your routine. You're not used to doing that. So I
(10:23):
felt all out of sorts even up to game day
because we didn't start our game until late. We didn't
start a game until six o'clock local time, Yeah, which
it's an odd time anyway. It's well, I mean it's
almost it's almost like a Monday night football game. That's
kind of how you feel like on the West coast.
But we did it so it could be one o'clock
back in the East, and I mean, I get it,
I understand now, but it was just weird. Yeah, it's weird.
(10:47):
I can imagine. I don't know why they didn't start
at night thirty at Eastern time. They're gonna do it tomorrow, right, yeah, yeah,
but it is what it is. But I'm glad to
be back, man, glad to be back. What was the
highlight of the trip? The highlighted trip definitely was a
doubling trip. I had never been in Ireland, and um,
(11:07):
first of all, the city the countryside is beautiful. The
people were wonderful. I got a chance to see some
traditional like river dancing, the traditional dancing, uh some shows
um as well as uh um, you know, sort of
folk music, you know, Irish folk music. Go to a
lot of the pubs and just just the people were
just wonderful. I had my first guinness, which I still
(11:30):
don't really know what to make of it, because I've
never had guinness before. It never tasted guinness. But and
then of course the the Irish that are telling you
how to drink guinness and how guinness needs to be
served was a lesson. Lesson, isn't And it's all the poor.
Everything is in the poor. Yeah, yeah, exactly. And of
course the story you have to chair in the one
(11:50):
one fine Irish lad told me I should say, he said,
you know what it's it's in how you store it
has to be stored at a certain temperature. It's in
the poor. And more importantly, Guinnis doesn't like to wait
you have to drink it quickly. So he said, he
set me up with a half gas half glass again
us because I've never had it before. And uh and
uh shot of whiskey. That's that's a perfect combination. I
(12:14):
don't know which one is the chaser, because he never
answered that. He walked away with a smile. But I
don't know which one is. How are you supposed to
do it? He said, that's the perfect mix. Right, you
were living, you were living, good time, good time, good time.
But I missed you. Gods that I missed you, my brother.
I really did miss you a lot. We had we
had Uh, we had Matt Mosey, great guy, joking around,
(12:36):
but he is a Immen's Dallas fan. All we did
was fight. I can only imagine Figgy, how bad a
fig Yeah, last week was pretty entertaining. I think we
always did was fight all for four hours. I love it.
I absolutely loved it. That. It was like the Dallas
versus Philly's classic. Yeah, that's what we did was fight.
(12:58):
It would be like if Chris was the was my
co host go for pit just you wait one day. Yeah,
I've been long retired. Uh, it was that was funny.
I was like I must have said, where's Lincoln. I
(13:18):
missed Lincoln, multiple missed my my best friend. Yeah, Figgy,
I went to Figgy. Couple of figg is the best, right,
So he's trying to be, you know, politically correct, and
you know he's trying to be trying. I'm trying to
keep you know, keeping the show exactly. So the big
(13:39):
Man is back, and I rejoice and we should all rejoice.
We got lots to get to the Fellas back together,
lick and getting Anthony gargetto right here on radio The Fellas,
Anthy Garga, Lincoln Kennedy. Yes, I'm back. And you want
to hear something amazing. Discover matches all the cash back
you ended the first year automatically, no limit, how much
(14:00):
will match? Look millions of people are getting their cash
back already, and Discover cash back Match. You want to
learn more about it? What are you waiting for? Learn more?
I discover more, discover dot com slash cash back Match
and we are going to go from there. Big Weekend
already started off with some great baseball last night, because
did you catch the game Nationals? I'm just honeyball Sunon James,
(14:25):
what a Jem How about it. We almost history. I know,
you know, I was commenting on the segment before. You
know what what I love about this time of year,
it's because it's it's the sort of combination of all
the sports. You get college football that matters, matters, you know,
you get you know, you get hockey, you get basketball,
(14:47):
starting get you know, you get playoff baseball, and the
confluence and and and with all the analytics that are
going around the league, you really don't have pictures going
long into the distance. More importantly, this is not some
of the more well known pictures out of the Nationals.
You know that. You know, Sanchez last night pitched a
gym and how about you called it? You called it
a couple of weeks back when we were want to
(15:09):
breakdown going into the baseball playoffs, you said it, you said,
you know, he said you were impressed with the Nationals.
And I think you might have been one of the
only ones on our show that that that did say
that they thought you thought they were going to go far.
And you know there they are one series away from
the from the World Series. Well you know they had
the three pictures right so and and that's the county has.
(15:30):
But they had the three pictures. They got ren Don
and Soto, uh Turner, you know, as a leadoff guy,
and I just thought they were dangerous. I mean, anytime
you get to throw Strasburg shirts or Corbin and then
you got the middle of the pack, of the middle
of that line, and powerful didn't figgy. I figure, I
(15:52):
got a question, are you there? Fake? They're they're notable closer.
What's his name? He wasn't there? Was he? You mean
Sean Doolittle for the Nationals. Daniel Hudson, Yeah, a little
was previously. They're closer than Hudson took over. Yeah, Daniel
Hudson was on Paturn to leave. Okay, and that's what
(16:14):
I was. I had heard. I didn't issues the whole year.
I was always the worst of Bullepin to ever make
it to the postseason. Yes, r a over five five
and a half. Alright, we're lead, though we're burying the lead.
What is it fake? Yes? I'm sorry for what. No,
(16:39):
he's a huge Dodgers. Oh yeah, we were going to
get into that. Okay, I forgot. I mean, I mean,
I feel horrible for him. I did know, I'm serious,
I could listen. I wanted to the Dodgers astros are.
I mean, I wanted to see that. That would have
been a great, great series. I feel I feel terrible.
(17:00):
What was he think? Dave? I love, I think he's
a really good manager. You want them? I mean, what happened?
Because if he listened to a lot of l A
Sports radio fans, they say, you can have them. I
know you guys, let Gabe Kapler go out there, uh
there there when they're there? What is he thinking? What
was he thinking? That's an excellent question, and nobody really knows.
(17:20):
You know, you have a team that is so built
and so analytically driven, and the plan has already laid out,
and it seems to be in the in the biggest moment,
and he's done this in the past. The last three years,
there have been some managerial head scratchers from Dave Roberts
uh down the stretch at important points and games where
he just deviates from the script and he goes to
players and situations where they shouldn't be in. You know,
(17:42):
you would think a lot of Dodger fans will be
upset with Clayton Kershaw, and some are, but more of
them are upset by the fact that Clayton Kershaw was
placed in a position to give it up like he was,
like he was in Game five. Current Clayton Kershaw never
should have been placed in that situation for that to happen,
and that falls on the head of Dave Robert Mann.
It's unbelievable, it really is. And and the curse Shaw
(18:06):
playoff things, it's one of the most mystifying things, it
really is. I mean, it's it's clearly between the years now.
I mean we're talking five six different times at this
point that I can at least think of right now
where big, huge moments in the postseason where he hasn't
come through and why it just seems that the Dodgers
or Dave Roberts or Andrew somebody in the front office
(18:29):
is just hell bent on changing the narrative that he's
a great post season picture and he's just not and
he hasn't been. Don't try to force it, you know,
if you don't feel the need that you have to
bring him into a big moment to try to get
the demons out of his head, just let him do him,
rest them up, get him ready for Game one of
the NLCS. You had one of the best bullpens in
(18:49):
the National League all season long. You had eight outs
to get with plenty of arms to use. Knoma has
one of the best post season arms the last three
years in the postseason, and you wait to use him
util after Clark Kershaw has already given it up. It
makes no sense. What what? What's what's interesting to me
is that when you look at kershaw struggles in the postseason,
I don't know if I've ever seen it from a
(19:12):
notable sports name, unable to close the deal. I mean, look,
we we We've given Marino Marino, you know, crap for
not being able to win the big One, but at
least he got there. And we know what Downland quarterback was.
You also know what type of a team you have
to have surround you in order to win it. But
when you talk about as dominant as he's capable and
has shown to be in the regular season, for whatever reason,
(19:35):
why does it go south in the postseason. It's clearly
meant a lot of certain point and Peyton Manning would
get a lot of those comparisons to certainly um and
even the year that the Colts did win the Super
Bowl when he want his is his numbers were not
even that exactly. So uh, he won despite his his
own struggles there. Uh and the year he won with
the Broncos, obviously he was he had a new alarm
at that point. So it has happened in the past
(19:56):
and at a certain point, Lincoln, and as an athlete,
you can you can speak to this. You have you
struggle at a certain point, and you always get to
the postseason three, four or five times, and yet the
same result keeps happening after a while. It's a mental
hurdle that you can't get over and you're constantly as
opposed to just going out and executing your thinking, Oh man,
I hope I don't screw it up here, and that
in and of itself, you know, affects the way that
(20:17):
you perform. And see, there's a conundrum for me because
as an athlete, I would want to face that challenge
and seize that challenge well, but at the same point
that it's at such a tremendous expense. I mean, you know,
unlike unlike uh, baseball, you get opportunities, you get you
can get a series, but football you're one and done.
So if I have a crappy game in a playoff series,
(20:40):
and I can't play in the playoffs and I'm killing
my team every time playoffs. There's no tomorrow. I oh man,
it's just here. Here's it's called real. I mean, he's
a lumper. And the problem to Anthony is like he's
not he's three one, but he has a lot of
(21:01):
mileage on his arm, and like he was never a
flamethrower anyway, he especially is not one. Now it's not
gonna get better. You know that that the time for
him to actually improve upon his playoff woes would have
been three or four years ago. It's not gonna happen
now when he's topping out at one on a good day,
you know, So you can't run him out there. You
you sign him to a contract extension this past off season.
(21:22):
He's not going anywhere for the next three seasons, so
you're gonna have to have him. It sounds weird to
say that you're burden with having to have him. And
he still had a really good regular season this year.
Is an All Star. He was good. It was the
r A was high for him. I think it was
like three oh three, which most pictures will take. But
it's just the mental hurdle in the postseason, which again
just boggles my mind that they will place him in
(21:42):
that situation. It just made no sense whatsoever. That was
crazy because not only you're placing that situation, but you're
doing so in which he's not accustomed to, which is
in relief. Yes, in relief Game five. Yeah, now he's
coming relief in the past, but every time he's coming
in relief, it's always been to get one or two batters,
sit down and not come back in. Never in his
(22:05):
career as he had to actually getting out what you
did in the seventh and then come back in and
try to get extra outs. He's never had to do
that again in his career. And you choose the highest
leverage of situations to be able to do that. It's unbelievable.
I know, it really is unreal. And he and he
said the quote of I trust Clayton every time to
put him in that situation. And my question is why,
because he's never come through in that situation. One time, Yeah,
(22:30):
I guess, but I mean and one time he came
out of the pen and closed out Game five a
couple of years ago in Washington. That's the only time
he's ever done that. Other times in big moments. He's
always folded. It's just it just put your put him
in a situation that he Yeah, I know he's done
it before, but it's not his norm now. And you know,
(22:50):
and it's not like you didn't have other options. You
had so many other options. What was the infamous start
in which he had the six friendly So this was
game one. I was at this game. This was Game
one against the Cardinals. Um, this was fourteen, I believe, uh.
And he was rolling. I mean, he was absolutely just
destroying them. Dodger stage, stadium was going crazy. Then all
(23:13):
of a sudden, he gives up a walk and a
double and they go with the bases. They cleared the basis.
Then Matt Adams, who I think at that point in
time was like over twenty or something with like nineteen strikeouts.
It was stupid the numbers that Kershaw had against him,
and Matt Adams did the three run home run against him,
and Ned Colletti was still the general manager of the
Dodgers at that point in time, and I remember walking
(23:33):
by him in the hallway after the game was over,
and Ned looked like he wanted to choke somebody. I've
never seen a human being that angry with the expression
on his face because you had your ace who at
that point in time, you know, we're talking six years ago,
I'm talking about prime Clayton Kershaw. He might have won
the side, you might have won the side young that year,
it just all imploded. It. It was one of the
(23:55):
most surreal things that I've ever witnessed in person in
my life. Yeah, it was funny. I never forget. I
was sitting there and uh, we're a bunchers had bet
the Dodgers. Yeah, I think they were favorite in that
series against the Cardinals, and we bet the Dodgers for
the series and and for Game one, and and it
(24:16):
was like a big deal. Like we were like all,
you know, fired up, and you know you're you're they're celebrating.
Oh yeah, yeah, you got six wherever a six run
league and you got Kersha on the mound, like you're
not supposed to lose that game. That was the most
I always felt for the Dodger people from that moment on. Man,
he he has just been like Maddox was not a
(24:37):
postseason guy, but he wasn't like this bad criticized Maddox,
but his numbers in the postseason especially compared to Kershaw,
are not terrible. Kershaw's e r A in the playoffs
is two runs higher. That is stupid. Yeah, that's outrageous. Wow,
(24:57):
I think taking away with some trending bet. All right, well,
the Dodgers are not playing in the NLCS, but we
did start the NLCS on Friday night. The Nationals, who
of course beat the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium on Wednesday,
going to St. Louis to take on the Cardinals, and
the Cardinals, after lighting up the Braids for ten runs
in the first inning on Wednesday, could not match that.
They were grounded in a too nothing shut out at
the hands of the Nationals. Washington started NFL Sanchez had
(25:21):
a no hitter through seven and two thirds innings before
allowing a single to Jose Martinez. Sean Doolittle record at
the four out save game one of the ALCS between
the Yankees and Nationals. That should be an exciting one
that starts tonight at eight Eastern. You can watch all
that action on Fox Online. Car shopping can be confusing,
not anymore. With True Price from True Car, now you
(25:41):
can know the exact price will pay for your next car,
So visit true Cards to enjoy a more confident car
buying experience. Some college football action from Friday night. Oregon
racked up over five yards of total offense and a
forty five to three victory over Colorado, the Ducks improving
to five and one on the season and twenty rank
West virgin with Virginia not West Virginia the Cavaliers, Virginia
(26:02):
missing a field goal, committed a turnover in the red
zone in the fourth quarter, and that would end up
in a seventeen to nine loss to the Miami Hurricanes.
And Mountain West action Colorado State with the victory over
New Mexico. Some injury news out of the NFL. The
Steelers will be without quarterback Mason Rudolph. He suffered a
concussion last week. They will start undrafted rookie Delvin Devlin
(26:23):
Hodges out of Sanford this Sunday night against the l
A Chargers. Fellas back to you, no, no, and that's
Sam and that's Sanford not Stanford. You know what one
thing I did see overseas and and I'm I'm hoping
that he's okay. But I when I saw the highlight
(26:44):
of Mason Rudolphin hit I said, right when it happened well,
and everyone else looked at me like I was crazy
because we were in a sort of a team room
watching it. I was like, he's knocked out. I saw
his I saw his eyes roll in the back of
his head and his lives closed and he was gone.
Standing up, I was who I was. That was a
vicious hit. It really was. We are the Fellas. Come
(27:06):
to the life of a guy called Fox Sports Radio Studios.
Fifteen minutes could save you fifteen percent or more on

week across the Pond, and you have a highlights. First
of all, with a game the Raiders played. It was
(27:28):
it was a great gig, great great football, I think,
you know, and I agree with you. And then they
found a way to hold, you know, to pull it
out and keep a win. But I will tell you this,
teams need to take notice because London is in the future.
And have said this all along since we've been on
our show together for a while, that the eventually there
will be a team in London and there will be
(27:49):
teams that are traveling over. They have to understand how
they travel. The Bears, to me, did did the ultimate
wrong in doing it. They came over late. They came
over late, and they were tired. There was fatigue, and
it's I know a lot of people have done science
and stuff like that studies. It's not about the amount
of rest that you get at home before you make
this travel. I'm telling you your body clock is on
(28:10):
something different. For the West Coast teams being eight hours
ahead of schedule. It's it is different the first couple
of nights you are trying to get on a natural time,
and whether you're doing it through drugs or anything else,
you know, like sleeping medicines or something like that, it
just it's hard to catch up. Your body is fatigued
and it does take it out of you. And I
(28:31):
know last year when we went over as late as
we did to play the Seahawks, it came through on
the on on the game. The Raiders got crushed by
the Seahawks in every way, every phase of the team,
every phase of the game. And this time the Bears
looked off with all the stuff talking about their defense
and everything else. They looked off, especially in the first quarter.
The sort of turnover in the third quarter game a
(28:52):
little bit of life and they were able to make
a run. Um, but you know this is a beat
up team. Um, I see a lot of holes in
this spare defense. Now I've seen it up close, but
but I still think they have a way of keeping
you know, people on their hills, especially because they have
number fifty two in there and on their defense right exactly.
You know that you look at that quarterback to like,
(29:12):
oh yeah, yeah, really he struggled. He really struggled in
this game. He looked better against Minnesota than he did
against the Raiders, but he definitely struggled in this game.
You want the too sometimes because how teams were able
to prepare for you get to Minnesota. Troubisky's out first
play and he sees that sometimes back up coming and
and understands the game plan. Next. Ye, people have a
(29:33):
good game. Yeah, you know, they kind of lift their play.
He well, he you know, he's bad, He's not good. Well,
I mean it's just setting up for fadder. You know,
in a couple of weeks, when you do your your
your annual UM halfway report card, what do we know?
How you phrase the question? You always come at me,
what do we what do we know about certain teams
(29:54):
at sort of the halfway point of the season. Uh,
And I think you know, there'll be a great length
to discussion and about the Bears that we relate to
discussion about the Vikings. Uh, and a couple other teams
that we're going to see they have big games this
week as well. Yeah, well, we are going to talk
about each team when it comes to the power rankings
of Who's what, of course, but I gotta go. I'm
(30:17):
gonna tell you this. I ask you these teams, Is
there anybody's any good which which teams? Any of them?
Is there any team? Now? I still think Kansas Cities
real what I do? They're bagged up? And I love
the I love what the Colts did. They play with
a game playing by which you could have seen that
(30:40):
it was old school football. It was. It was. It
was a great game, great football game. Give the cults
a lot of credit. I still believe in the Chiefs.
But even New England's I mean New Winklers struggle with
the Giants in that game. Nobody don't didn't play anyone.
I haven't played anybody. Don't play anybody to once. At
the end of this month, and they start playing teams.
You know, I mean it. I will say that all
(31:01):
the teams that especially with winning records, every single team
has got holes in their game. There's no ideal perfect
team on all sides of the ball. And what's what
you can sort of, you know, tip your hat to,
is the fact that teams find a way. Good teams
find a way to win, no matter whether it's offense, defense,
special teams, no matter which phase it is, if one
(31:22):
is lacking, the other one picks up. Slack case in
New England, the defense. Defense help propelled them. Defense gave
them energy. Defense give them life even when their quarterback
was struggling, because there were a couple of those picks
that Brady through like well what are you doing? What
do you see? And knowing that they're depleted, especially now
with gives them down knee uh Josh Gordon, and I
should say Gordon down with the knee. Um. You know,
(31:43):
they're depleted at the receiver spot, so they're gonna have
to rely heavily on the run game. But more importantly,
like I said in the first segment, you know, Belichick's
genius is definitely gonna have to come out because his
defense is going to have to take control like they have, right,
But it's easy to do so against the science with
no you know, I mean and not and nothing the
(32:03):
wing room. I mean, they're down there. Oh it was
Golden Date. Yeah yeah, and Daniel Jones struggled and stuff
like that. So I mean, but every team, every good
team out there has holes. We see, Kansas City had
holes even before the lost Indianapolis um. They just were
able to cover it up with a you know, phenomenal quarterback.
And he's still But now we'll have to see how
(32:25):
how teams come after this ankle, because you know they're
going to try to get him out. You know, I
know it's not it's not might not be pc to say,
but hey, this this is this is competitive sports where
I'm trying to get every edge possible. And if I
know your quarterbacks of phenomen and he's got a hard ankle,
you know somebody that somebody out there has mentioned it
or thought about it, and that hey, let me just
(32:45):
roll up on it a little bit. Yeah, I'll take
a penalty. Ah, you're right, and I got no, you're
you're dead right, And it's just I look around and
I look around the landscape of the league and it's
right open like that an FC. Oh yeah, oh yeah.
All these teams are flawed. All these teams are flawed.
(33:05):
I don't know who's and I'm trying to figure out
who's really good. So I was joking around with Chris
when you're talking about the lines and the and the Packers,
but they the lines are live in their game. Yeah,
they're live in that game. You know, I don't I
don't know about I mean when the fact that you
gotta ask me this, I know you were even see
the game, but you heard about it. So the Cowboys
(33:29):
play the Packers. Now, I thought Dallas would win the
game and win it by double digits over green Bay
because I saw Green Bay a week before, and well,
I like green Bay a lot. I thought they I
thought they the Cowboys matched up real well against them
because they can't stop the run. They have a very
(33:51):
very light front, and uh, you know, you got Zeke
and you got that offensive line. Granted, Tyron Smith was
first Philadelphia did to him. Yeah, yeah, all the I
do the gameplay every week, so I watched all the
tape and you know, it's fun enough. And so for
the Eagles, Packers. It was a lot of twelve person Noel,
(34:14):
let's run the ball. It's you know, and it was
the whole thing, with the whole game playing down, and
somehow Kellen Moore doesn't run the ball right, he wants
to get into his shootout with Prescott against Rogers. Now,
how ridiculous is that? Well, I mean, look, there are
a plenty of times where you get either offensive coordinators
(34:37):
or quarterbacks to get over as las, especially when you
look across the table and see who you're competing against.
But my assessment of the film is I thought that
Green Bay did a great job with misdirection because there
were so many situations where they handed the ball off
to Aaron Jones and it looked like the Cowboys defense
was ready for Aaron Rodgers to use his arm and
to throw the ball. And then when they had success
(34:57):
with the run, the Cowboys were on the heels because
they are prepared for it. It's almost like they didn't
know that they had a running back football Now without
a doubt that you're you're dead right. I was talking
more on the other side of the ball where and
you know, I agree when but here's the thing you
also talk about how you can get down quickly. So
how far that was I think when I heard the
first time I heard the score was thirty one three
or something. They were down for I worked this game
(35:19):
for National Radio. So they were down fourteen to nothing,
and the Cowboys offensively could get nothing going in the
first half. They turned they threw two interceptions in their
two of their first three possessions. They got themselves behind
the a ball And we've acknowledged and talked about this
with dec when you get down big, he's not really
the top of quarterback they expect to lead you back.
So they Ezekiel Elliott really didn't have a chance. They
(35:40):
didn't get a chance to get their running game going
because they got themselves in such a hole early and
the penalties forced them into some long some of some
long distance downs, so you can't run the ball when
you do that. There had a lot of false starts
and holding penalties, and of course that goes back to
the not having consistency on the offensive line. So it
was a lot of those those hidden things as the
reason as to why they didn't run the ball as effectively,
(36:01):
and they weren't effective, but they still they still came
out early and tried to throw it. They did. They
did like you should never ever abandoned ship, abandoned the
run when you're the Cowboys. Until it's thirty one three,
it's fourteen nothing, you're in the game. I watched the game.
You're in the game. They were in the game until
(36:23):
the end of the second quarter. I mean, you had
plenty of opportunities to commit to running. Elliott. I don't
understand why you would have thrown. You would have threw
as much as you did with Prescott and said on
the first drive you're cashing the ball and then and
then you you got in trouble when you threw it,
and that's where all the holding penalties came. Yeah, and
(36:45):
maybe they didn't want to be so predictable where they
just hand the ball off, you know, five six straight times,
and maybe that maybe that does fall in ahead of
Kellen Moore. I'm not sure if they saw some vulnerabilities
in the Packer secondary, I'm not sure. Um, but yeah,
they got themselves into a deep pole and they started
they missed like they missed a year goal. They're just offensively,
they were just out of sync the entire first half.
And you go on to halftime down seventeen nothing, and
(37:06):
then it's an uphill climb at that point, right, but
at the only point in seventeen nothing, it's not insurmountable. No,
and and for the first half they had opportunities. I
just didn't understand what they were doing coming out. I mean,
you know in that sense. We'll come back, we'll talk
about it. Where the fellas Lincoln Kennedy, I mean, have
to be going out. That's Figgy, and it's Chris and
(37:26):
and Ryan. We get the whole crew together right here
on Fox Sports Radio. Fellas my man. I man Chris
coming back with a little we'll slick Rick. Oh yeah,
it's got that funk gone. He came in. Well it's done,
(37:48):
done a good job in the first hour. Thanks Chris. Well,
we had a big issue last week when you were gone.
Oh really, on top of the issues that we had
in previous weeks before before yes, okay, because he was
playing the country music for the country music No, no,
hold up, hold on, I I ain't gonna get thrown
in the bus like this. That was a request from Mosley.
(38:10):
Well you you so, let me get this straight. Someone
comes in as a guest and you all of a
sudden you'redition that request. Hey, the request line has been open. Yeah,
we have never We've never asked for anything, right, I know,
it's just he just says, oh, I need more soul.
I'm like, I don't know what that means. Well right
(38:30):
now compared to what you played in the past, like
the Bengals and yeah, I like the eighties stuff. I
think the eighties stuff has sold. Oh, but I don't know.
We're disagreeing on what soul means. Yeah, since Nati Bengals
don't have soul. There you go. Now you're gonna wake

good squad. I agree, yeah, all the whole runs. I
(39:33):
mean the squad. They man, they can't win the playoffs.
It's terrible, it really is. But Yankees and Strows I love.
I love the Strows man, It's hard not to. But
the Bronx bombers man, they've been done it all year
knocking about the Park's ridiculous. It really is ridiculous. But
(39:58):
I still think I don't know how. I don't know how.
Houston and I know they are. You know, Tampa blessed
their hearts, brought them to the brink, but the Strokes
were just nasty. Man. I'm looking for I'm glad, I'm back. Yeah,

Fellas back together. It's a monster day today. Great college,
great college games man, big link man. This thing is
how it's gonna be a lot of fun. The team
that I think has a shot, the upset, the apple cart,
the real shots. L s U. Well, yeah, I think
(41:07):
it's a big game for a number of reasons. I mean,
you're a Heisman voter, so I think this is this
is used for L s U. In Florida. That's that.
Especially getting Florida in in Death Valley. I think they annihilate,
first of all, the bad spot for Florida coming off Auburn.
You know, Auburn doesn't have the pass game. Do what
(41:28):
you want about Bote Nicks. They don't throw downfield, not
the way Joe Burrow has been playing, the way the
way the L s U offense at spread offense, forget
about it. I just I love Florida. I love L
s U. Did annihilate Florida in this game? Well, I look,
I well, I will agree with you that Auburn doesn't
have the same passing attack as L s U. I
(41:49):
will say this Florida has. I like the way they
play defense because they they really like to complicate things
and confuse quarterbacks. They always bring four but they don't
bring a tradition four. They they have sort of a
hybrid three three five style where where they're bringing fourth
from different angles to confuse blocking matchups. So I think
this is a great test for L s U going
(42:10):
to get to one of the better defenses with a
lot of speed as well. Yeah yeah, I I you
are you a little tempered a little like? No, no, no, no.
I think I think L s U handles things. I
think L s U is that talented. I just I mean,
I I didn't look at the line or anything. I'm
just kind of getting back into the fold after all
(42:31):
my travels. So I I think that's what the line
is L s U at home with that passing offense
six seven and a half something like that. Am I right? No,
keep going it's higher? Yeah really ten and a half?
Hire really damn no respect for the number seventeen in
(42:52):
the country. Uh thirteen yep, thirteen and a half. Wow,
no respect. So I think, and I guess or my
trepidation comes is just I would say that it's probably
gonna be closer than that. Actually, now it's up to four.
Team also did a lot of people laying money. Wow, okay,
(43:16):
I see I mean it's the number five versus number seven.
I think, yeah, the lines town you all you need
to know, like I smell, I think it's so you
say it's a You think you think Florida is not
a for real top ten team. Yes, okay, yeah, I
just don't think their offense. No, their offense has has
has has suffered. There's no doubt about it. Yeah, I
(43:39):
you know it's it's might. Listen. I thought they wouldn't
last week. I had them against Auburn and I thought,
you know, home trash. But yeah, I think it's too tough.
I think this this is another level team. This is it.
This is a natural championship team, this l s U team.
I I think they could beat Alabama. Wow, yeah, you
(44:01):
think they can defeat the tours? Yep, No, I do.
I think they can. I definitely think they could beat Alabama.
In fact, I that's what I'm smelling. Oh yeah, you
show somebody in and just just bringing some bad some
bad coffee or something like that. You're you're smelling that? Yeah? No, no, yeah, yeah,
I believe it, But I believe in it. I believe
(44:24):
in coach O. Coach O. There is uh some terrific,
terrific games today. How about how about I what Penn
State tonight? That's huge, huge, huge for Penn State because
Pence State what doesn't beat ranked teams? Right, hasn't beating
ranked teams? Isn't this something that because I love Iowa
(44:46):
in this game, it's hard not to I love I
win this game under the lights something, you know, because
you've been in that situation I as a reporter and
press conferences, media coverage. I was a little it was
a little surprised to hear someone asked um Jalen Hurts
(45:13):
about the rivalry between Oklahoma and Texas, seeing that he
had just basically just got to Oklahoma. I mean to me,
and I could be wrong, I mean maybe maybe it's
just a little bit well, what was the what was
the question? Was the question? Is you know how you
know how how how big is this rivalry or something
to that extent. And I'm sure you know, because Figgy
(45:36):
has his notes and grind something a lot more, he
probably knows exactly what I'm referring to um the question
or in a press conference, And and and to me, it's
like when you ask people about rivalries, they're supposed to
understand the history. Yeah. Yeah, Now if you said, hey,
what's it like? This is your first you know, red
River shootout? You know, like what, you know, what's it
(45:58):
been like this week? You know, it's that sort of
think that would probably be the way better way to
approach it. I didn't get that, and I would I
would ask, hey, look you you you played you know, Alburn, Alabama, Auburn,
you know Armball? What's that? What's that compared to this? Right?
And still you don't even know because it's the week
(46:18):
leading up, so you know, you really don't have anything
to go on. But yeah, I agree with you. I
you know, I never it used to drive me nuts
what I would hear these questions, you know how I
am too. I'm like you, I'm very meticulous and I
used to hear it all the time, Like you would
have this, Hey, like some guys to put in your
(46:41):
in your wheelhouse. You have guys that come over to play.
They've been the first year on Oakland. You guys are
playing the Broncos. Hey what Raiders? And that's what I want?
You know? Yeah, that's yeah, everything. I mean, first of all,
it's the dumbest thing in the world when you ask
(47:02):
first of all players, right, so these players don't know
about you know, these historical rivalries. You know, they have
no idea. You know it's again like the Eagles and
the Cowboys have a great rivalry, right, those deep those generations. Right,
(47:22):
so you got you got the guys and even if
they are you know, second third year guys, they don't
get right, they're they're they're not walking around going I
hate Dallas like you know, the people are you're gonna
do if you're gonna do a story on that, that's
where you gotta dive deep. It took me years to
really appreciate the rivalries that were from the Raiders and
(47:45):
the people, the divisions. I mean, I did not understand
it until I saw it over and over again. You
know how Marty Schottenheimer when he was with the Chiefs
and the Chargers didn't like the Raiders and how they
got to you know, they got up for the game,
or how they wanted to pound it down their throats,
our throats, and I mean, how how many Broncos can't
stand a right as you hear it now more than
(48:05):
ever so now, the rivalry, the passion runs deeper. You
know that Shadowhan right, I mean that was I mean
that was a blood feud, right, that was That's what
I missed about the the I I will say this,
like you know, in the kindler, gentler society, I I
do miss some of that, some of that good hate.
(48:28):
Like the old Man. The old Man was filled with it,
like Al Davis like that. I mean that guy and
and that was your that was your that was your
main man, and he was he was filled with that
old school you know, hate me. Some broncos hate me,
some chiefs. I mean there was there was a time
(48:48):
when we got when when we were really rolling, that
we had the swagger that we we were glad that
people hate us because you guys can beat us, you know,
and goes back to the years when when they were down,
we were down, how they wanted to rub it in
our noses. I mean there was no lead that was
far enough. They weren't taking the pedal off the gas,
you know. I remember when Shot Hamer was with the
Chargers in the Danny Thomason and they were running the
(49:11):
power and Bragiders couldn't stop the power. I mean they
literally ran the same play down the field on two
separate series and the Raiders had no answer to stop it,
and he just ran it over and over again, score,
over and over again. Score. I mean, we're gonna take
the foot off the pedal. They were going to just
keep keep doing it. And so that's the beauty of sports.
(49:34):
But that being said, Oklahoma, now I'm I think I
don't know what you're what you're feeling in this game is,
but but I'm feeling Holcome. I think Halcome keeps you
clok howcome can win out right? This game? Are you?
Are you all right? So you're not saying it now
(49:55):
I've seen it? No, I think I think, Okay, go ahead.
Here's the case. It has nothing to do with the
Oklahoma offense. I think Jalen and that offense is it maz.
I mean they're averaging over a first down per play, right,
They're average in ten point six yards per play, So
I mean it's absurd. However, that defense, that defense is
(50:20):
vulnerable and allenjer is going to have a monster day
and I think Allannger and Texas score it will and
Texas has the better All you need it's just a
couple stops. I think you're in the game and you've
got a chance to win. It interesting, So definitely take
(50:42):
the over. And what I would hear you say is
take the over and then take Texas with the points.
I think Oklahoma wins, but it could be close. Ten
and a half is what I'm looking at right now. Now,
do you agree, like when you looking at the Oklahoma Yeah, no, No,
there's existence in the Big twelve to me, I mean,
it just doesn't happen outside of Balor. I haven't watched
(51:03):
enough Baylor football to do it with school. Oh boy,
or boy, he's got a team, he's got a squad,
he's got some d he knows you got a coach
defense man. Well, I don't doubt that. No, I think
Texas got a decent defensive. So I look at it
and I go, huh, can you get enough? Let's listen.
(51:25):
Opam offense potent is all get out, like you know,
I'm not I'm not fools and and Jalen Hurts is
is perfect for that offense. But all you need is
a couple of stops. And with that defense being is
porous as it is, that sooner defense hook them, hook
them could put pressure on the shooter offense by going down,
(51:51):
up and down the field. Well, I will agree with you,
you know, like I said, get a few stops and
everything's changed. But the over and under seventy five and
a half. So I'm taking me over and I'll take
Texas with the points. There you go, We we ride together.

(53:39):
taken off shows due to your frenatic schedule in the past.
But I but I don't know what it was. It
felt like you were gone too long this time one week,
I felt it felt a long time. It was only
it was only one Saturday, but it felt a while.
I missed you the London trip, and I just got
back from San Diego taking the kids out of the beach. Um.
(54:01):
So um, it's good to me. I didn't realize last
night I shut it down, probably around six thirties seven,
I think is shut it down. And it felt so
good to lay in my own bed. I really did
miss my bed. I missed my bed. Uh, it felt good.
(54:22):
San Diego was nice. You know what what was interesting
is um, after we got back from the Bears game,
all my kids. Um my sons lived with her mother
and I'm taking care of my niece. She's basically my daughter.
So all three of my kids were on fall break.
They get a week during the fall for like spring break,
they get a fall break. And they were all three
at the same time. So while I was over in London,
(54:44):
was like, man, what can I do with him? My ane,
we just want to sit around the house. I know
I'm gonna retired after London. Uh, And and a couple
of friends suggested that we go to San Diego because
my they wanted to go to the beach, and I
was like, okay, be sort of the last weekend. The
sant Ana's warm water and the Cali Port. You know,
get get some uh, get get some beach weather. And
then I learned from my boys they had never been
(55:05):
bugeye boarding, and I was like, what what You've never been? No, no,
we've never been. I said, oh no, this can't be.
I grew up in San Diego buggie board, body surf
and all that stuff, and I don't surf, but I
can do all that other stuff. I was like, oh,
we gotta get some water sports. So yeah, we did
a nice Airbnb that was about three yards from the beach. Uh,
and they had buggy boards set up for us and
(55:27):
went out and then the kids just had a blast.
Went to the San Diego Zoo, which is one of
my favorites. Yeah. Yeah, it's a real big zoo, really
nice one. And I went to junior high school right
next to San Diego Zoo. So I took the kids
over to my old junior high school, uh and showed
him around, you know when what I can remember from
junior high and stuff like that, and they were just, oh,
(55:48):
Dad used to go here anyway. So uh, it was
good times, man, good times. That sounds great. So I
just got back last night from San Diego after a
week in San Diego. Ah, that sounds fantastic. Thing. That's
that's very cool. But it's good to be home and
it's gonna be with you because yeah, baby, you got
that right. Um. Well, a couple of things. One in
(56:10):
case you missed this little nugget, and I teased it,
but Ben Simmons hit it three not again. It was
against the Chinese national team, so you know, the competition
wasn't exactly great. However, he saw the three, he took
(56:32):
the three. He drained the three, figuring this did this
make your national headlines or international headlines? Has happen to China?
Did you get this on your headline list? Man? Not
for a micro second? Okay, now you know the couple
was talking about it. Yes, I'm I'm I'm sure, yes,
not not for nothing. But you know, my man, Chris
(56:54):
is a great basketball man. He may, he may. He's
had the same thing that I He said the same
thing I did. Ben Simmons takes the three, drays the
three of the game. Monty Dalve sudden, you got you
got to worry if he's shooting threes or just take
(57:19):
it outside shots. Forget threes. He don't have to be
Steph Curry. But if you can't sag off of him lethal, yeah,
never forbid. He makes a three and a blowout preseason game,
really striking the fear into people. All right, sarcasm, I'm
becoming of you, my my man, oh, I know you
(57:44):
made He made an unofficial three pointer in a game
that doesn't matter, and doesn't you just want to close
over when they were dribbling out the clock. By the way,
this wasn't even in the quote. In the flow of
the game. I would at least give you that. That's
like if you just want to whistle, that's a graveyard.
All I know is this Sixer team. You stay healthy,
(58:09):
they are going to be the mon Stars. I don't
know if I come to life, it's probably a little strong.
They have reinvented the game where you know all the
the we we are now wait wait wait, wait wait
wait did you just say they reinvented the game? Yes?
Is that what you just said? Yes to steal a
(58:31):
line from Charles Barkley and Julius Arby's rolling over in
his grave right now? What's going on? No? He docks
still with us. I know he has as tart as
part of the joke. I just great from the past
and the Sixers, Like, what are you talking about, Anthony?
What's in that coffee this morning? All right, all right,
you don't if I'm just telling you I've been, I've
been a practice. Yes, they have because the smallest guy
(58:58):
on that team, it's six ft six Josh Richardson. That's
the smallest guy in the starting line up the Monstars
that no one has had length like this length with
the two Unicorns, Ben and Joel just run, you just
(59:24):
better run. I mean, well, I'll be able to run,
so he'll be able to keep running if eating eating
that McDonald's, that Chinese McDonald's put down them double doubles. Right,
you guys haven't paid the chat, you little thirty five
pounds reinventing the game dribbling with a look great you look,
(59:44):
or you're not. You're not a basketball guy. It's basketball.
You're not reinventing the game with length, the that kind
of a me by like defense, sweeping the glass. They
will dominate this season, dominate all the way to the title.
(01:00:07):
Reinvent Amiba like defense. Oh yeah, impressive, the length, the
scary length. No one who nobody can match up with him?
Who matches up with the sixes? Are Amiba is known
for their defense. I'm not talking to you. You're not
You're not a basketball guy who matches up with a
(01:00:29):
fig who matches up with the sixes in the Eastern
Conference or just in general. And anybody can't give me
a walking one guy kn't give me the Lakers with
one and a half. Guys, who's the half? Excuse me?
A d a half, a guy eights a half. Let's
(01:00:50):
see a day with the real when he when he's
not under the cloak of mediocrity. Wow, So he's with
one of the best players in the history of the
sport and he's gonna be worse. I'm mna say he's worse.
Let's see, what's my point is? Now he's got real
pressure on him. Let's see if he actually plays the
(01:01:10):
whole season. Yeah, I think he'll be fine, all right.
Concerned And I said the Clippers are concerned. To just
brush them off. I think that they're great, one of
the teams in the league. I think they're legit. I do.
I think the Clippers are the best team in the West.
I think Utah is second. I wouldn't argue too hard
(01:01:31):
against that. Utah is a quality team too, But I
think the Sixers on the best team. I think you're
drinking the home right there. So I can't have that.
Can't even play. Please, don't scientist. Last right, it's alive,
(01:01:53):
the Ambas alive. Try to try to penetrate the lane
against that squad. We're gonna do it. Gainst ask you can't.
They're just arms. It's just a squad of long arms
waving at you in your face, iron hides and a
(01:02:18):
lot of cakes. You can't get you can't get a
shot off. He's still talking that dude, sounds good period,
the non basketball guy. I'm still waiting for Ben Simmons
to make like, you know, two three pointers in a
single VIA game, because at that point you could just
say off of what people have been doing the first
couple of years, all right, spoken like a man. I
smelled the fear. I smell the fear. I am shaking.
(01:02:42):
Figure is tripping on the re event game, right, that's
the new and vogue. They didn't follow the Warriors got
to be the Warriors, which is was assinine, trying to
match firepower against firepower. You work without re Goolden State
six is now all right, I have changed the game.
(01:03:06):
You can't because they're gonna play bullyball and you can't
score on them. And they could just bully down low
in the paint, Big out Horford, Joel Ben. How about
you know who's prime for a monster year to bias?
(01:03:28):
All though I was gonna say, Mike Scott getting into
the fighting NFL parking lots. What's my man, Mike Scott?
I love Mike. I'm just drinking one of my friends.
I love like I was out with him last week.
Mike's and I guy before he played for playing for
the Clippers last year, Mike's and I guy. He's great too,
He really is. You know, he's an awesome guys to Bias.
Tobias was one of the best people you'll ever meet
(01:03:49):
in your life. He's a terrific He's absolutely amazing. He's terrific.
I'm I'm actually, I'm gonna be writing a book with
on the Sixers, with with the organization title the Fighting
of Both. Now I'm doing a process, Bunk. It's gonna
(01:04:09):
be it's gonna be the process. So we're gonna we're
gonna start from you know, like when it started six
years ago and with all the stories and all the
GM and then all the way to this season. So
they mean, that's a project I'm doing with the team.
That's cool. So I'm gonna be taking some trips with
I actually, do you know I'm joking around the tweak
(01:04:30):
figgy But it's funny, it was it was there. They're
they're going to be really good. Just trust me on this.
Like their defense is gonna be really really good. Like
they're gonna be suffocating. There will be something wrong if
it wasn't considering the figures they have in that starting lineup. Yeah,
and I'm I'm interested in that book for sure. I
(01:04:50):
want to want to Sam Hinky thinks about what's going
on right now and now he will be he will
be in the book, and coll Angelo will be in
the book. My man through the eyes of Elton, who
was the g M now and done such a terrific job.
Is the Twitter. I was about to say, we give
no no that stories in the book. No, no, it's
(01:05:12):
it's there's nothing, there's nothing all limits. That's the one
thing I agree. When I agreed to do the project,
we said all right, it's long as uh, everything's above
above board. And they were like, yeah, nice, I'm very
intrigued by this. Yeah, so it'll be fun and you know,
they're a great story. It was just a fascinating story
between Brett Brown and you know what he has been through,
you know, to the Oquafors and the Newlands. No, Wells,
(01:05:35):
it's a it's a it's a fun story. It really
is a great story and you know, hopefully culminates in
a in the championship. But consider what those fans and
you guys have to go throughout there. I I don't disagree.
I actually hope they win too. So yeah, I gotta
tell you, like, honestly, I love the six. It's like
forget about like doing projects and stuff like that. When
I was a kid, I always and linking at tests
(01:05:55):
like I love I love the six. Yeah. I grew
up with a Philly kid, right, So I I used
to wear number six because of of Dr Jack. So
it was like, you know, it was one of those
deals where and you know Charles a I like that
was and that's all they had. I mean, after they
were completely set up where they had Charles Doc Moses right,
(01:06:18):
and they traded away and then the number one overall pick,
who was Brad Daharty, and they trade him away for nothing,
and then the whole thing was collapsed. And it's been
twenty five years of nothing ever since. Then. We had
a little blit with AI, but that was in a
real run. I mean, they were never gonna beat Kobe Jack,
you know, I mean, they were never beating them. So
(01:06:40):
they're finally back after all these years, and it's kind
of cool to see that basketball is back in in
my fair town because it's a great basketball city and
it's a great sports It was dormant. Yeah, yeah, yeah, No,
you're right, but it was dormant for the long for
the longest time. So I'm kind of I love having
fun with you, but I'm gonna, I'm gonna it's would
(01:07:00):
be a fun year. I'll be tweaking in this. I
mean now, I'm interested to see if Faggy mentions it
in this trending so figuing what's trending. Oh, it's funny
that you mentioned then, Lincoln. If you're jonesp preseason, if
you're Joseph for preseason basketball right now, like Anthony is,
you can flip on the TV right now, the Lakers
are getting ready to tip off from China against the
Brooklyn Nets. They won't be talking to the media afterwards,
(01:07:21):
but they will be playing a basketball so you can
tune in for that in just a couple of moments
if you if you still choose, Also some baseball from
Friday night. The lead Championship Series have begun. The nlcs
UH kick ticked off on Friday night. You have the Braves,
who are you know were lit up by the Cardinals
for ten runs in the first inning. The other day,
the Cardinals offense was on fire, looking to see if
(01:07:43):
they can carry that over to Friday Night, and no
they were not. To Nothing was the shout out victory
for the Nationals in St. Louis. Annibal Sanchez, the starter
for the Nationals, had a no hitter through seven and
two thirds innings before allowing a single to Jose Martinez.
Sean Doolittle came in, got the four outsay and the
Nats take a one nothing series lead. Online car shopping
(01:08:04):
can be confusing, not anymore. With True Price from True
Car Now you can owe the exact freights will pay
for your next car. So visit True Cards will enjoy
and more confident car buying experience. College football from Friday
Night thirteen than Oregon Molly wapped Colorado forty five to three.
Justin Herbert two touchdown passes for the Ducks, the defense
for Stephen Montez into four interceptions. Miami upset rank Virginia
(01:08:24):
seventeen to nine. Nakosy Perry a touchdown on the ground
and through the air. Colorado State Hammerton, New Mexico thirty
five to twenty one. News out of the NFL rams
running back to Gurley listed as doubtful for Sunday's game
because the forty Niners with a quad slash thigh injury.
UH defensive back and keeps to Leap is ruled officially
out with the rib injury, and the Steelers will start
undrafted quarterback Devlin Hodges against the Charters on Sunday night
(01:08:46):
as Mason Rudolph is out with a concussion. Back to
the fellas, that's right, we are the fellas can be
laughing Geico, Fox Sports Video Studios. Fifteen minutes, you can
save you fifteen percent or more car insurance. This guy
Coude dot com for a free rate. Quote. Alright, so
big one question? Are the Niners for real? Yes? Yeah,
(01:09:14):
I I think so too. Yes. Now are they good enough?
You know to? He asked the question, are they good
enough to win the division? I don't think they're there yet,
but I think they're good enough to. I think they
will finish. Second, I thought they were gonna finish. Second.
I still want to give the nod for some reason
to Seattle. And and it's not something that's over the
(01:09:35):
top saying why Maybe it's more just quarterback consistency or
quarterback that that would be Listen, he it's I love
watching him play football, Russell, I mean, he's such a
he's such a competitor. I love watching him playball anyway, Yeah,
I hear you. But this Niner run game, how about
(01:09:56):
Kyle Shannon's a good coach man, No, he is, and
he's he is extremely creative a way he's doing things
with with Garoppolo and the balance that they have on
offense with the passing in run game. Um. But you know,
to me, I think what's setting apart is the fact
that the level of defense is capable of playing on
I mean, for what it's worth, Sherman can still shut
(01:10:17):
down you know, posing receivers, uh and and the way
they play their zone man combination on the back end,
and they can get a rush from their front four. Dude,
I think they're they're poised to, I mean, to really
challenge people, especially when it comes to the playoffs. The
why the NFC, to me is really wide open. I
don't I sit in close my eyes right now, and
(01:10:39):
I still think that you're gonna have New England and
Kansas City and ANFC championship. I think that's the way
it's going to pan out. But the NFC, I think
it's a toss up. I think there there are a
lot of players who are viable. I mean, hell, I
think Carolina plays a whole lot better without Cam Newton
than they do with him. It amazing, amazing if he
truly is right, I mean, are you kidding me? They
(01:11:02):
play so much better without him, And the Saints find
ways to win, even though Bridgewater hasn't He's had some
some spots, but he hasn't been you know, stellar, It
hasn't been tremendous, But they find they find ways to win.
So I think they're still viable. Yeah, I think so too.
Now I think the Saints are are legitimate. And then look,
(01:11:23):
Breeze will be back. So and I agree with you
with with Bridgewater and the job he's done. Um, but
this is not a teammate. It really intrigues me because
of what they can do in the run game. They've
you know, the breed to you watch the game Monday night.
He catches and so first of all, on that long run,
(01:11:44):
I mean he looked I mean he looked fast, man,
he was he was burning breed. But they have such
I think so much weapons most and then you you
got just your three backs of of speed and give
you some power and they just have such diversity on
(01:12:05):
the run game. They have a great tight end. Yeah,
and Kittle, You know, I really do. I like that
team at Ton. Well, what they did especially well and
I looked at the especially the end zone angle of
last week's game against Cleveland is they they blocked the
box incredibly well. The front seven were taken out and
(01:12:26):
a lot of those run plays to where you had
to have safeties or defensive backs to make the tackle.
And whenever you can do that consistently in a football game,
you know that you've got your assignment, your technique and
your execution or going off or are really doing a
tremendous job. Uh. They kind of pulled back on the
throttle in Cleveland. They could have made that even bigger
blowout than it was. Yeah, what have been In speaking
(01:12:48):
of which, what do you make of the Browns? You
know what? In all honesty, I think I think Freddie
Kitchens is a great offensive coordinator, but I don't think
he has the ability to manage that that entire team.
And you have an instance where you have so many
namesake playmakers, especially on offense, and there's only one ball
to give around, you really have to have the ultimate
(01:13:10):
manager at quarterback who knows how to distribute it to me.
To me, Baker plays better against man than he does
zone because he doesn't trust this separation that his receivers
are capable of getting in in zone defenses. So he's
I mean, he seems to want to hold it and
(01:13:31):
I don't know if he doesn't trust his accuracy or whatever,
but he'll take a one on one matchup with his
receivers in a corner or a DV you know, um
out there and on on man coverage. He'll take that.
But he won't throw it into a hole in the zone,
which is weird for me. He creates rollouts when he
doesn't have to, he creates pressure on himself when he
doesn't have to. And more importantly, he's just too loose
with the ball when when they're where people around him.
(01:13:55):
He's way too loose with the ball. And it's it's
often been told, and I watched quarterback coaches and stuff
like that, when you're in the pocket and you're scrambling around,
hold that ball with two hands because you never know
who's gonna come around you or where it can come from.
You cannot be loose with the football. Yeah, man, now
that's true. He is he is, he is. He's really
Lucy Goosey with that ball. But I still like Myles Garrett.
(01:14:17):
I still like a lot of things they do on defense.
I just you're not they're not getting enough. They're not
getting enough separation with defense because their offense just isn't
isn't hasn't been consistent enough for him to to to
be to be able to do what you want to
do defensively. Yeah. Now, I I think you're I think
you're you're right. And I also think I look at him,
(01:14:41):
and it's funny because people are calling Baker Manzel, do
you think do you think he'll you think he's a
he's a Do you think he's a fruit gazy? I
mean that's the bottom line. No, No, I don't. I
think he's talented. Here's what here's the thing I here here,
(01:15:03):
with all the attention that we put into all the
emphasis you that you put in the quarterback play, there
are times where you really have to separate yourself and
there are times where he's shown more inconsistency than consistency. Look,
I like this running game. I like chub I like
what they have a receivers. You know, I know there's
a little bit of a downgrade a tight end, but
I like what they have at as an offense as whole.
(01:15:25):
Now it's about a matter of execution, but there are
times where you get down by double digits where you
can't just rely on Chub even though they have the
ability to go to him. I mean, this is this
is a great back in my opinion. Um, but Baker
may Field as far as managing it, you know, he's
got to appease his playmakers. So you've got Odell Beckham Jr.
(01:15:46):
And and and and and Jarvis Landry. You gotta you
gotta get the ball to those guys. They're a big
part of your offense and when it comes down to it,
you know, just as a criticism is like I've had
in my own quarterback Derek Carr. You know, last we
can in in London, there was a perfect instance where
I sat o, here, you can't do that because it
was the situation was third down in seven and rather
(01:16:07):
than look for a way to get a first down,
he throws a little check down a round of two
yards and you you lose a serious I'm like, you
can't do that, Yeah, yeah, no good, no good, You're
so right, You're so right. All right, Uh, sit back
as we continue around the NFL some NFL kind of
overviews straight ahead as well, and the next hour will
(01:16:30):
dive in deeply into the car in the college car
and give you some picks and break down the day
in college football. It's gonna be a fun one. Lincoln Kennedy,
Anthony Gargano together with the Fellas on Fox. Fellas about
(01:16:50):
Chris stepping up this game. Oh old school funk, uh
p funk. Oh yeah, I limit funkadelic. Hum. So here's
my question to all right, bro, let's continue with that
kind of meander around thoughts. All right, So the Vikings
(01:17:16):
are they real or full gazy? They are real? If
Kirk Cousins doesn't have to win the game. Yeah, but
at times he's gotta throw the ball. At times he's
got the insane you gotta you gotta throw the football.
You got digs and field? How look how you ignore
those two? Well? And I agree, but even look, there
(01:17:39):
were times when the Raiders play the Vikings, and I
know they dominate the game against the Raiders, but I
saw a number of throws that were left out on
the field, and I'm not sure why Cousins didn't take him,
and I've seen that time and time again. For for
some reason, there are flashes where I think Kirk Cousins
(01:17:59):
has earned this contract that he has with the Vikings,
and there are times where it's like, dude, you don't
want the ball in his hands because he's gonna mess
it up. And so that's sort of been the flip
back and forth. I think everything about the Vikings team
has been built to win. I like their front four,
I like their defense, I like their running game, I
like their receivers. You've got everything that you want. You
(01:18:21):
just have to have a quarterback who's going to make
the right decisions. And there have been times this year,
especially in that Chicago game, where they looked out of
sorts and that you would think you had everything going
right for you in that game, right starting quarterback goes down,
you're on the road. You're built for that, You're getting
his team. Really, I mean you saw flashes against you know,
Green Bay and stuff like that. I think that they
(01:18:41):
were poised to still win the division. And now I
don't know what you're going to get out of this team,
because if Kirk Cousins has to win the game for you.
I think it's gonna You're not going to come through.
That's just where I am right now. Yes, yes, and
and and mark our words when I say this, this
(01:19:02):
game at home against Philadelphia, if you cannot take advantage
of a banged up secondary, if he cannot show you
that he can surpassing, because I do believe this team
is built for the US Bank Arena. I think if
they get home field advantaged throughout the playoffs, they are dangerous.
But they've got to win football games. And Philadippe is
a good football team, and that atmosphere and everything else
I think is built bent for this team will definitely
(01:19:25):
show for this team to to have success. And I'm
talking about the Vikings. But if you cannot take advantage
of a banged up secondary, you cannot call yourself to
me and uh a greater than average team that is
going to make a significant or super Bowl run, especially
in next division. Yes, I listen, and I agree with that.
(01:19:45):
I I think like I think the Vikings are good.
I think they're really good, and I just think there's
their scheme needs to be fixed. I you, you can't
be completely one dimensional case in point is this weekend's
(01:20:06):
game against the Eagles. Now I do know the Eagles
well and I cover them, so I couldn't know. Now
they have no cornerbacks none. They are decimated at cornerback.
Does he does Zimmer coming or at the Kevin Stevanski
who is the offensive coordinator, but who is on their
(01:20:27):
Zimmer's thumb because he doesn't want a d Filippo situation
like he had last year? Does he come out? Because
he hates throwing the football And you gotta attack the
Eagles secondary. You gotta throw early, so you gotta do
what the Hall call lock throws. And I'll explain that
on the other side. I mean, it's gotta be lock throws.
(01:20:47):
You gotta say, look when they're open, unless they're double
covered or he falls down, you gotta throw the ball
to this person. All right, let's let's examine because I
think it's it's interesting, and we'll take a look at
the college card. It's well, fellas, they're going anywhere alright.
It is eight o'clock in the east, five am in
the west, on a great sports Saturday. Fellas LINCKN. Kennedy,
(01:21:09):
Anthony Garganom and a little bit. We were gonna dive
deeply into the college card. It's great games, great football.
You I see no redeeme. We didn't even talk about
that one, which is uh a great one. Not to
mention the Red River shootout Oklahoma, Texas. We got Florida
(01:21:33):
l s u Kayne State, Iowa under the lights at Kinnic.
It's uh, it's a good Saturday, man, a great football
over the country. Texas Tech Balor. We got some good football.
But we'll get into it all coming up in the
just a little bit. But you're just joining guys. We're
going for the NFL and and looking at the contenders
(01:21:54):
and seeing, you know, who's real. At this point, it's
so wide open and yet it's mediocre. But there's leads
your handful of teams have a chance to win in
and then after that there's like a lot of bad teams,
a lot of bad are we looking at now? You know,
(01:22:19):
I feel like we say this a lot, so forgive me,
but are we looking at this thing as just a
poor quality? I mean, you've got teams like the Dolphins,
the Jets, the Redskins. You've got some just crap teams,
bad teams, ugly, just unwatchable Arizona. There's a half dozen
(01:22:45):
teams that, like, look at the Steelers. Now, I know,
you know, no Ben and and now no Mason, Redolf Rudolph.
But now like these teams have Cincinnati, just unwatchable teams.
We'll see the differences. And this is something that's sort
of I think, um new territory, especially for the NFL. Look,
(01:23:06):
I think Miami for what miam is trying to lose.
Miam is trying to rebuild, the build themselves with future,
so they're gonna take their losses. I don't think Arizona
is trying to lose. I think Arizona is just not
very good as a team. But they're not trying to lose.
They're trying to be competitive. You see what I'm saying.
That's the difference. And for what it's worth, you know
that the Jets have been snake bitten. You know how
(01:23:27):
many times do you see a grown ass man get mono?
I mean this the list goes on and on, but
but you know, we see this every year. You see
the contenders and you see the pretenders, and it's early
that it's it's so obvious in many ways to me,
this being week six. It's obviously it's obvious that there
are the teams that aren't even going to get relatively
(01:23:49):
close the ones that you mentioned, And there are a
lot of teams that are in the middle of the
fray that have a good record, but their record actually
speaks better than than where they are, you know, as
as a team or worse. Um because I don't think
anyone thought the Steelers are going to be in a
position they did. But you can't you can't say you're
gonna lose your starting quarterback and then your second quarterback
and all you know, be down to a person who's
(01:24:09):
not even drafted and and you're the Steelers. But we
were last segment, we were talking about the Vikings and
we were talking about Kirk Cousins, and we were talking
about how you know, you can't be one dimentional. You
gotta open it up and if there's something going on
and I don't know this with Kirk Cousins, and if
there's something going on mentally where he just has he
just doesn't see it, then as a coaching staff, where
(01:24:31):
you gotta do is you gotta force him to see it.
You gotta ride Dalvin Cook until they load the box
and you see one on one coverage with a single
single high safety, and you're either going to go to
theeling or you're gonna go to digs. And if they
try to take it away with a double safety, you've
got too great pass catching tight ends and earth Smith
and Kirk Rudolph, Kyle Rudolph that you can go to.
(01:24:53):
So you have ways of stretching of defense. And so
what you have to do with lock throws you do
to three man route combinations where you have high middle
and middle and a low option and Kirky you have
to get the rid of the ball. If you see
a two high safety and it's in the safety and
the corners playing two on a low man, then you
throw it to the middle man. Those are options that
you take away from. So you take the thinking out
(01:25:14):
of it. Just to get his confidence back. And it's
not like Kirk Cousins isn't as a smart guy. He's
just for some reason hasn't it hasn't clicked yet. He's
the weak point of this offense right now. Because you've
got everything else in place, and you have a division
that's further taking you have a team that's capable of
doing it. I just need you to make better decisions
(01:25:35):
when it comes to the passing game. I'll ride down
when Cook to the Sun goes down, but when teams
load up the box, this is what we're gonna do.
And you have to create those lock throws form going
forward because if you're if you're facing a team like
the Eagles right that, I mean their second their cornerbacks Lincoln,
They're down to third and fourth string cornerback guys off
(01:25:58):
the street that you know, although they get Sydney Jones back,
and people wonder can Sydney Jones even play? Something that
you questioned way back during the draft when I want
to Dalvin clock mind you and told you I want
the Eagles tuck Sydney Jos and you went, I think
that's a bad pack because I don't think you can play.
(01:26:19):
You said that. So bringing it back full circle, if
you're the Vikings, the Eagles are stout against the run,
but you're looking at you know, Mannie Moo and Jack
playing cornerback and this is the perfect time where you
lock throwse throws in. You see, if when you sit
there and come to the line of scrimmage, like I said,
if you have a single high safety, and you've got
man on man coverage outside on Digs. I'm taking the
(01:26:42):
chance on Dicks. I'm throwing to a point, even if
it becomes almost at ball, I'm going with the better athlete.
In my opinion, I'm not going to get his head
taken off because I have to protect him. But that
safety can't be everywhere. So if I'm looking off one
side and I decided to come back with it's so big,
you've got a tight end, You've got you've got ways
that you can stretch this defense and protect it. And
(01:27:02):
one on one option with a player like Digs who's
an all pro wide receiver out there on somebody who's
virtually unknown, like you said, third four string whatever, guys
you're picking up off the street. I'll take that chances.
I'll take my chances with that. Yeah, yeah, you know, yeah,
I mean, I again, they should have a field day
against that secondary. I mean, you just can't. Why can't
(01:27:25):
you just open it now? I guess to have some
interior protection issues, but yeah, yeah, you know. I mean,
if if I'm then you know I'm make into an
air attack. Why I go max protection? If I go,
If I if I'm seriously thinking about that I have
max protection or I keep my back in, I keep
my tight in, and I slide either one way or
(01:27:46):
the other, depending on you know who who they've got
in their rushing. I slide one way or the other,
and I take my one on one chances. I look
out there and I take my one own chances. I
put it in a position where it's either my receiver
it's out of bounds. Yeah, all right, let's uh, let's
put a capper on this game that we're playing. And
I'm gonna go through the teams and I'm just going
(01:28:07):
you to tell me if you're a super Bowl contender
or for gazing. So we're playing this real or for gazy.
But it's gonna be a super Bowl team, alright. So
New England, Yes, real Eagles, Real Vikings. See, I'm only
(01:28:28):
getting real for gazing. There's too many pieces not to believe.
I believe, Yes, real, all right, Carolina gazy, I don't
have enough. Tampa don't have enough for gazing. Seattle, real, Houston,
(01:28:56):
mm hmm, real all right obviously, Kansas City, Yes, real Saints. Yes,
you just said Jacksonville for gaz Baltimore. Oh, that's a
(01:29:19):
tough one. That's a tough one considering everything else is
in the a f C. For Gazy, I agree, Niners
real super Bowl reel like they can win the super Bowl.
They can well, I think they're good enough to get
(01:29:42):
to one. I don't know if to win it, but
I guess if we get that part of I mean,
it's it's it's yeah, they can get a super Bowl. Yeah,
I mean I think they're I think they're that good
of a team. Yes, brands mm hmm. And I know
I know people are want to sit there because people
have been commenting on my record. Am I talking about
(01:30:03):
the Rams. They're right in the thick of things. I
just lost two straight there, three too, So it's not
like you're you're way off. No, no, no, no, see.
I still don't think they made the playoffs. I saw.
I'm at to say, no, Gazy, No, listen, that's your possibility, bro,
it really is. Uh No Tennessee, no Denver, no Atlanta, no, Arizona,
(01:30:27):
Dallas real. I think they're I think they're super well
contender too. Yes, uh no, Steelers, no charges right now?
Charges green Bay dude. Yeah yeah, even though they've got holes,
(01:30:48):
they've got holes on both sides of the ball. They've
got holes. I still think they're they because that division
right there is is is a major coin flip to me.
So they get home filled throughout the playoffs or in
a couple of games in Green Bay in December, they're
they're real, or January they're real Lions. I don't know.
(01:31:12):
I don't know. I I really don't, I really, Okay,
take your word for it. I honestly I don't know.
I have not seen enough of the line. I mean,
that's not all due respect to Chris, and you know
I hope to improve. But is that is that a
team that could go to the super Bowl. I haven't.
Don't even think Chris who is who is in another
life act of folly wearing a Lions jacket. I don't
(01:31:37):
even think he believes they're a super Bowl team. They're
a team that can mess people up. I don't know
how far they can go. I think they could make
the playoffs, but I don't see them going far if
they did, right, I have no clue where to put
this team. I have not watched this team enough. I
saw that first game against Arizona, and I hadn't seen
really any consistent I hadn't seen the whole, the entirety
(01:31:59):
of any other game, So I have no idea what
we're getting out of the Mighty Patricia's Colts no food gazing.
Really Yeah, like Jecoby Jeacoby percent and lost that game
against the Raiders. There's no doubt about he would. For
for whatever reason, the Colts did not take the Raiders
seriously when they came. And the Colts had every opportunity
(01:32:19):
to beat the Raiders, and they should have beat the Raiders,
but they had guys who were dropping the ball that
like Ibron who don't normally drop the ball. Jacoby Pricent
was off. Um, I I just don't. I don't think
they have the consistency to take them to the super Bowl.
I think they can. They can definitely challenge for the division,
maybe getting the playoffs, but much like Chris said, I
don't think they go far if they get there. Bears,
(01:32:42):
no food gazing. Bears have way too many holes, even
with your bisky, way too many holes. And this defensive
as touted as I thought it was, Yeah, I mean
that with without a Keem Hicks, they lose a lot
as far as their run stop power. They put their
their corners who have been good at times on a
very big island. If they face if they face a
(01:33:04):
quarterback that has receivers and knows how to use it,
they're going to be exposed. Even with fifty two, They're not.
They're not. They're not a Super Bowl mountain this year.
Too many holes on offense too. Uh yeah, I might
love with that offense either. I can dig it. We
can dig it. All right, that was your real for
gage coming up college football. Let's go and we begin
(01:33:26):
to break down the card. We'll give you some picks
and we'll go through each game, give you a little
breakdown action that's coming up next, fellas, Lincoln Kennedy, Anthony
Gargano right here on Fox Sports Radio. Fellas well, all right,
Lincoln Kennedy, I have a little fun and we are
(01:33:48):
coming to your live from the guy called Fox Sports
Radio Studios as we get a little bit look get
funky for this Saturday in college football. We gave our
little breakdown of NFL. Last segment, um is where you
want to go. Now we wanna talk a little college
I do, but I want I want to uh ask
you guys a question all the fellas, So I uh
(01:34:12):
a couple of things. I saw al Camino last night.
Does anybody know what that means? No spoilers please, It's
not a car, so Ryan knows. Does anybody else know
what all Camino is? Vegas? That has to be a movie, right,
(01:34:33):
not a clue? Yes? No, some sort of car. Chris, Yeah,
it's a car obviously. But it is the Breaking Bad movie. Okay.
I didn't know that was the name of it, but
I knew there was a Breaking Bad movie, the Breaking
Bad movie. So I got a question. Now. I won't
give anything away. I will tell you that it is. Uh,
(01:34:53):
it's good. It's really good. I mean, it's completely Vince
Gilligan and who's the creator Breaking Bad? And he is
a great job at uh you know, you know it's
about the Jesse Pinkman character. I'm not giving anything away
about that, but he does a good job. It feels
Breaking badish and there's some fun moments and you know,
(01:35:15):
some friendly some familiar faces. But I was stunned by that.
Did who watched of of you guys? Did you guys
all watch Breaking Bad? Did? Yeah? I thought so because
I remember linking you did. I remember figure you did?
And Ryan, I know you did on Chris, I believe
(01:35:35):
you as well. So we all watch Breaking Bad. It
was a great series, right, it was an incredible series,
And so they do a movie and it's very little fanfare.
But here you go. The only person that knew el
Camino was Ryan and all you guys are Breaking Bad fans.
(01:35:59):
You just spoke for me. I haven't actually seen Breaking Bad.
I'm sorry. Yeah, I knew that there was a breaking
usually the case, yea movie that was coming out or
was recently released. But yeah, you're right, there wasn't like
a giant build up or if it was, I missed it.
You think you're a newsman. You don't miss stuff. You're
(01:36:21):
on social media all the time. But here's the here's
here's my question along that line. If if something has
been done, and it's been done to such an oppressive level,
are you excited to see a remake of it? But
it's not a remake, it's a continuation of the story.
Oh I see, Okay, I've never heard anything about it.
Well that's a couple of things. Yeah, um that they
(01:36:41):
kind of did that by design. They never announced that
they were making this movie eventually a couple of months ago. Uh.
Aaron Paul, let it slip that. Oh yeah, by the way,
we're we're making a breaking bad movie strictly about Jesse.
And then like a month after that they said, oh yeah,
it's gonna be on Netflix in a month. Like it was.
It was a very surprise thing. They kind of did
(01:37:01):
that on purpose. They kept it super low key. People
didn't even know they had filmed it, and they had
already finished filming it, and then they put it out. Um,
and uh, given, how good better call Saul is I.
You know, I I fully I'm very excited for this.
I've held off. You're gonna love it. Yeah, you're gonna
love You're gonna love it. It's you know, I couldn't
wait for it. And you know, last night I dropped
(01:37:23):
and I was you know, I was the first nighter
I had to make time for it, and um, I
thought it was great. Yeah, it was funny because you know,
I turned on the Oregon game after I was watching it.
There was some good football, but I wanted to watch
it so badly that h you know, I sat down
and it was. It was terrific. Except I was just
(01:37:44):
surprised at the lack of for such a popular show,
just a lack of buzz, just no buzz. I'm curious.
U uh, let me continue with my focus group. Anybody
watching The Godfather of Harlem? I am not epics? Does
(01:38:10):
anybody even know what epics is? I know of It
isn't like Showtime. It's yeah, it's a it's a streaming channel,
channel channel. It's like Hulu. You have there's a subscription
service or you gotta subscribe. It's more like of a Showtime.
I mean, you know it's OK. Cable packages have it,
(01:38:33):
so you have to you gotta get It's so they
give you the first two episodes free, hoping that you'll
sign up, so you could watch the first two episodes
of Godfather Harlem. And and you know it's about Bumpy Johnson,
Forest Whitaker, who I love is tremendous, and Vincent den
(01:38:54):
Afrio placed a chin who is who? And he's really
no two great actors. The story the writing is a
little thin, and and they take ridiculous liberties. But you
know it's entertaining for sure. Just it's I just found
I was just curious to you guys, would you guys
(01:39:16):
watch um? Would you guys look forward to watching a
movie like you know what we're talking about doing a
Sopranos movie. I don't know when that's coming out either,
and that that's kind of a prequel. Do you guys
like the series and then the movie type of thing. Well,
I'll start off no, because I think when you go
(01:39:40):
into the series, depending on how long it's, how long
it runs for, I think everything has been done that
you can you can you can do for that a movie,
even even if it's a prequel, doesn't really mean. I
just wish Hollywood is a little more imaginative than that,
you know what I mean, Just out with something different,
(01:40:01):
don't try to keep piggybacking on the same thing. Yeah,
the reason why something is successful is because it was
unique in and of itself. It stood out, it was
magic for what it was, and you try to keep
recreating it in nine point nine times out of ten,
you really can't. That doesn't mean that the follow ups
of the films are bad, but they never live up
to the initial hype of what the previous one was
(01:40:21):
because it was you know, Breaking Bad was one of
a kind, and you know it's a purchas point. You
know better cross all is excellent to you know, I'll
give it that. You know, you're trying to go you're
trying to hit a triple here when it comes to
the movie and you know U said the movie was good, right, Uh, yeah,
I did. Actually it was good. You know. It's just
it's just that that's that's more of the exception than
the norm when it comes to stuff like this, And
(01:40:41):
I think that's kind of links point to we're we're
If I said to you top and this is just
the top off the top of my head. Quiet, if
I just said, simply top five all time TV shows
and you know, exclude comedy, so you know, more like
five like the best five draw was that you went,
(01:41:02):
you know, just riveting television lake. Would Breaking Bad make
your top five? I kind of figured it would. Yeah.
I got in, but I got in late because I
got in a couple of seasons after you guys had
talked about it. Are the people on our show back then?
Alright we're talking about I hadn't watched it. I got
in in on it late, bench watch caught up and
then was you know, enthralled by the series. So you
(01:41:25):
got Game of Thrones, Yeah, would be five. Because I'm
a big sci fi fantasy man. But even I was
disappointed with the way for all the hype and all
the emotion that I got out of Game of Thrones,
especially in the first couple of seasons, the way it
ended really was disappointing, right, But as a whole, the
whole Game of Thrones, it was musty TV as its
(01:41:48):
top five drama, right, Like, so, you know, just off
the top of my head, like, so, you know, I
put Sopranos, The Wire. I love the Wire. The Wire
was a good ones. I'm a big narc Coach fan.
I thought, Narc Coach, Yeah, he's really good, you know,
probably like that would kind of round out by five
those those shows. And because I haven't given him much thought,
(01:42:10):
I can agree with that. I can agree with those points. Figgy,
you have any would that be your five? I mean,
I'll be honest, I'm not really huge into TV dramas
like that. So, um, like The Wire was excellent, obviously,
um and Breaking Bad I got into nothing else really
pops to the top of my head as we watched.
You didn't watch Sopranos, No I didn't. You didn't watch
(01:42:31):
Thrones and not watch Game of Thrones. No Narcos, Nope,
Come on, doesn't mean I don't haven't no desire to.
I just haven't. So I hear that's what that's what
I hear, fat Ryan, Um, I I kind of agree
with everything. Breaking beds number one for me, but I
haven't seen The Wire or Sopranos. But Game of Thrones
(01:42:54):
I was also super into, but like like, and I
was disappointed by the last season. So Thrones will never
top Breaking bad for me because I think that but
that's kind of the standard for me. But um, and
I think that that's going to be a very hard
standard to top. But like I said, I should I
should watch The Wire and I should watch Sopranos. These
are shows that I should go back and watch and see.
I had to. I had to be honest. I had
to cheat a little bit because I had to go
(01:43:15):
back and think about some of those musty TV moments
because there's been so much to pass. But I'm looking
at list like, you know, Lost was a good one.
I was big in the X Files back in the day.
Remember the Shield, at least to love the Shield. These
are shows it did the role Network shows. They pale
comparison to well, I mean you're talking about you know,
dramas like twenty four. I remember why I used to
(01:43:35):
watch twenty four all the time. Yeah, but when you
think about twenty four, think about that show right now,
that's pree dates via ba rhyme, like he didn't even
watch he didn't watch The Wire or the Sopranos like too.
You know, shows that change television, right whereas you know,
I mean when you think about the four and al
(01:43:58):
Due respected five, like at the time it was it
was I'm sure it was good, but you know, I mean, right,
but it's still network schlock compared to like, say, how
about Boardwalk Campire that was on. That was another Yes,
I used to love on quality, you know quality House
of Cards, yes, before yes, the last name went Psycho. Yes, no,
(01:44:22):
that was that. That was excellent. Band of Brothers remember that,
that was a great series. I used to HBO. Right,
it was kind of a mini series type of thing,
the Uhlan Homeland, you know, I kind of I kind
of petered off it the first couple of the first
(01:44:43):
season and some change, I think, and then I lost it.
I'm just curious because I you know, I I see
Breaking Bad and I saw the movie, and I was
just curious where it ranks. But it's interesting because you guys,
I'm sure Chris never saw The Wire or Sopranos, right,
you know I saw Sopranos, did you you know? Yeah, um,
(01:45:04):
part of it. I never really finished it. I've got
to go back and do that. I'm because I grew
up more into movies than anything. And uh, the one
TV show I really gravitated to as a kid was
probably those later Star Trek TV series. I just never
really I was a latecomer to a lot of the
prestige TV, and to be honest, it was such a time.
(01:45:24):
It was such a requirement to me to sink so
many hours into it that just I'd start a series
and then just I'd either I'd fall in love with
the wrong series and to get canceled. Like I loved
Marco Polo when it was on Netflix. It was a
great series, but only lasted two seasons before I got canceled.
So yeah, I I you know, it's funny. I I
(01:45:46):
wanted to love it, but I but I just I couldn't. Yeah, yea, yeah,
I just fall for imperfect shows all the time and
they end up getting canceled and just walk away feeling jilted.
About it, and then by the time everyone's gravitated to
the big new giant TV series, I feel like, oh great,
I'm just coming in later. I'm coming in as this
(01:46:07):
hanger on and I just kind of feel discouraged by that.
So yeah, and lately I've just been watching just weirder
out of the way stuff like Vinland Saga and stuff
like that. So it's just, yeah, no, you don't need
news at eleven you news at eleven without? Did I
say that with love? Yeah? Yeah, you know you're found
(01:46:28):
it Like it's good. No, seriously, he's great. Yeah, you know,
I've never heard of it. I'm sure it is what
what what? What network? It's on Amazon Prime? Yeah, yeah,
you know what's good. This is the This is the
(01:46:49):
problem too, is like there's so many different outlets now
and it's just I don't have the money to be
subscribed to all of Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, everything else,
and it just it whirls around. Now, that's true, and
that it's funny because like I got a big hole
in my game when it comes to Amazon. I don't
watch Amazon. It's true, all right, Uh fig do we
(01:47:11):
favor take it away with some trending and then uh
I got a violation question, and then we're to the
college breakup. All right, We'll start with some postseason baseball
Nationals notching at to nothing victory over the Cardinals in St.
Louis in Game one of the National League Championship Series,
and of all Sanchez, seven and two thirds innings pitch
no hit ball before a two out single by Jose
(01:47:33):
Martinez in the eighth. Shawn Doolittle picked up the final
out of the eighth and had a one to three
ninth to seal the victory. The scoring, and this one
came from the beats of Jan Gomes went a RBI
double in the first and Howie Kendrick, who, along with
scoring that first inning run, recorded in ibi RBI single
in the seven. All my car shopping can be confusing,
not anymore. With true Price from True Car, now you
(01:47:53):
can know the exact price you'll pay for your next car.
So as a true card to enjoy a more confident
car by experience. In college football, Oregon Molly, Colorado forty
five to three, two touchdown passes for Justin Herbert and
that one in Miami with a upset victory over twenty
Virginia seventeen to nine Colorado State with a victory over
New Mexico thirty five one in the NFL. The Rams
(01:48:14):
will be without defensive back and Keeps to leave this weekend.
He is out with a rip injury against San Francisco.
They're running back Top Gurley listed as doubtful for the game,
and the Steelers undrafted quarterback Devlin Hodges will start against
the Chargers on Sunday Night Football. He will step in
for Mason Rudolph, who was out with a concussion. Hodges
from Samford, Sam, Samford, Sam in Alabama, Samford. That's right, Fellas, Fellas,
(01:48:43):
He's terrific O man the fig coming live from the
Geico Fox Sports Radio Studios. Fifteen mints can save you
fifty percent or more on car insurance. Visit geicode dot
com for a free rate quote big Link. I got
one violation question to the group, and then I promised
it will get deeply into college football. But here here's
(01:49:07):
my question, because it's it's hanging on me. Yesterday, the Phillies,
which is my hometown baseball team, fired their manager, Gabe
Kapler and retained the general manager Matt Clintach and the
president Andy mcfail even though the Kapler regime was a disaster,
(01:49:28):
and the owner of the Phillies, John Middleton, said that
uh Matt clintech, the GM wanted to keep Kapler and
that they they he did his due diligence and he
came up with he had to step in and fire
at Kapler against his general manager's wishes. Now, my first
(01:49:53):
question before you get to the violation question, is this
the minute you're GM, you you shirp your GM. Doesn't
he have to go to M like the minute the
minute the GMC has no no, I want to keep
this guy. And the guy is wretched, right, the guy
has failed two years in a row. Day, he's he's
(01:50:15):
managed two collapses, he's made just elemental mistakes. The fan
base all but has pitchforks outside of the manager's office
and and the ballpark. And yet the GM wants to
keep him. Is it not a fiable offense? Yes? But see,
(01:50:37):
questions like this are always difficult for me because the
way I approach it with logic is that if you're
gonna fire somebody, you gotta tell me you're gonna have,
you know someone in mind who's better to go with.
If you and in baseball, if you believe in analytics,
and you believe in and and that's sort of derive you,
then what you're thinking is that the analytics didn't fail.
The way in which you use them fell. Like you said,
(01:50:59):
a lot of the time times the general manager was
handing down the lineups, didn't you didn't you tell me so?
Then so then as an owner or ownership, you come
in and say, look, this was a disastrous season. You know,
if any anyone in any one, someone's got to roll,
someone's got to go, and you know, you throw somebody
(01:51:21):
out to the dogs. And and then this case, just
Kaplan and listen, I think he should be fine. I
felt Capitler should have been fired, But you also think
the general manager should have been fired, right, Yeah, But
it's my point. And how do you, as the GM
now work for the owner who just said no, no, no, no,
you're guys out, Like, how does that happen? Well, because
(01:51:42):
now I think in some way the GM might have
had some input and saying well let's just let Kaplan go,
We'll move on. I've got somebody else in mind, still
trying to share the vision with ownership. Yeah, but the
Kapler is fired the GM. That's his guy. I agree,
I mean, but it's it's a it's a so. So
(01:52:03):
I'm without belaboring a point, I hate this group. Okay,
I think the I think the president and is a thief.
I think the You know when I say a thief,
a baseball baseball thief who is living off of a
(01:52:23):
Twins World Series thirty years ago that was built by
another guy. Yet somehow he's been able to run franchises
and he's also an arrogant, smug fella. Then the GM
is a collapsive failure, complete failure. And and so I
can't stay. I detest this group. I'm out. So I
(01:52:46):
want out. Is it a violation for me to be
out on my home team until they get rid of
the regime? Yeah? Yeah, it is a violation. You can't.
You can't dismiss your your team to me, I want.
You might not agree with everything they do, you might
(01:53:07):
not agree with their method, their loves. I agree with
nothing they do. Okay, but you can't be out on them.
You have to. You still have to roll with them.
But even though I despise the leadership, absolutely, absolutely, even
more more now than it presses the the true fiber
of your fan fandom. You cannot, you cannot dismiss, you
(01:53:28):
have to robe. But I'm not saying I would go
and root for the Nationals. No, I mean, but you
got braves. Can't give up them. You can hold your
disdain and certainly hold hold hold that true. I don't
like that. I just want them dead. I I want
I want to relegate them to nothing and not pay
a chance to them, like like they're just dead to me.
And then when somehow, when they get rid of the regime,
(01:53:49):
they'll have rise it again like it's Easter Sunday. But
stay with it, stay with it. I want them out
of my life for good. They're lesser, they're put on
the lesser of your your your your your, your fandom,
you're for you know, your fan favorites or whatever. However
you want to look at your priority lists for a fan,
they're less they're put down. Think about all the sports
(01:54:11):
teams that you're prideful of from your city, and then
they'll probably on the lowest rung. But this goes for anybody,
like anybody. So I bring this up not for the
specific case, this a general fan question that if you
if you are a team like if you're you're a
Dolphins fan, or you're a Red like the Redskins, Like
the Dolphins are attacking right, the Redskins, They're just a mess.
(01:54:35):
How long? Like if you haven't already say you know what,
like I'm out until Snyder sells this team, I'm out.
He's an awful owner who just makes mistake after mistake.
And look, there's an example of this all over professional sports,
of just terrible ownership to the point that you're doing
to fan the ultimate disservice and they want to run
(01:54:57):
and hide figgy see the violation to have your team
dead to you, No, not if you're fed up with
them running it into the ground. And I can speak
to this from the Dodgers did this with their last owner,
Frank McCord. They were fed up with what the way
he was operating and he was gonna try to use
this TV deal to subsidize the money for his divorce
(01:55:18):
and they stopped showing up. The Dodgers at an actual
protest stout coming to games and the Commissioner of Baseball says,
we cannot have one of our marquis franchises have five
thousand people in the stands. This is ridiculous, and they
basically forced them out. So I've said this, and I've
been saying this for Browns fans, Redskins fans, whoever. If
you're really, truly, legitimately fed up with how your organization
(01:55:41):
is being run, don't watch, stop spending money, don't buy
season tickets, don't go you start hit him into the
pocket books than the owners will notice, and more importantly,
the leagu's will notice, and they will not stand for it.
But as long as you keep on selling out stadiums
and arenas and keep on going and having blind faith,
there's no reason for someone like Dan Snyder to change
what he's doing. Keep the thing. Can't do it right
(01:56:07):
away in Ryan, No, Actually, I'm glad Figg you mentioned
that I was going to mention Frank mccork because that's
that's the that's the perfect example of of of what
happens in this sort of situation. And I don't know
does does McCourt still own the parking lots? Figures he
profits off of the parking lots? He was able to
finagle that some somehow. In the same Yeah, it's it's crazy.
So yeah, I I echo everything that that Figgy said.
(01:56:29):
That that you're on board with their dead to you
for a certain period of time, and so there's a
regime change. Chris, I got two parts of this answer. One.
I'm sorry, Link, but I'm gonna have to make this
three for three. Um, as someone who sat through Matt Millen,
who I know as a wonderful person, but as a
general manager for the Detroit Lions change them from a
(01:56:52):
respectable organization in the nineties into the butt of a
joke that exists to this day. I know a lot
of people who just gave up the Lions because of it,
and you really can't blame him after watching what happened
to the Detroit Lions. Yeah, exactly, exactly. Just keep doing it, man,
keep doing it. One of them is gonna hit one day. Uh.
(01:57:13):
Second part of this is I support given up on
your team. If it means that this is the last
time in a long time now that Aunt is going
to talk about the Phillies. Yeah, it's just it's fine.
I just hearing him complain about the Phillies. Yeah. I've
done it twice on the air twice, and I, uh,
(01:57:37):
you know whatever, I don't bring my Philly stuff to here.
I just mess around with it, but I don't bring
it but yes, I will not bring it up again.
And here's the other thing. I want the people to
weigh in. I want to do something but we don't
usually do. And that's opened up the phone lines. And
I want you, guys, if you're out on your squad, yeah,
(01:58:01):
you get right now to voice that. All you gotta
do is say who you're out on and why you're
out on. And you can just say, you know, the
Redskins dead to me until dot dot dot you know
Snyder sells the team or and it could be a college,
it could be your program too. Eight seven seven six
(01:58:25):
eight seven seven nine nine on Fox, and then we'll
get in the breakdowns college and the little NFL. But
I'm curious if you're out and why Fellas on Fox
we're the fellas. Big Lake don't get better than Big
(01:58:45):
Lake on the to be going got up Together, We're
the Fellas. And of course you want to hear something
amazing discovered matches all the cash back you earned the
end of your first year automatically with no limit to
how much will match. Millions of people a year are
getting their cash back matched. Discover cash back Match what
(01:59:11):
are you waiting for learn more discover dot com slash
cash back match? All right, I'm gonna take a couple
of a few calls. All right, Link, go for it
because I think the people need to express this. Now.
Are you are? You are a true blue loyal man.
(01:59:31):
Stay with me, Draft more Receivers Detroit Lines. You don't
have enough like I understand. I understand your point and
I admire you, big Link. I do. However, they where
their team is just dead to you, like Ryan and
(01:59:52):
reading Ryan, You're all the fellas who's dead? Dear Ryan?
Hey Link? Hey? Um uh, you know, I gotta say,
since I was five years old, I'm a because of
the helmet. Um, I'm a Atlanta Falcons fan and I
live in California. So yeah, you know when people talk about, like,
(02:00:13):
you know, losing their team and stuff like that, that
to me it's like, I don't, I don't, I don't
agree with that. We got the fires. I here, you
heard about the car and the campfire. Yeah, we heard
about the fires. In fact, you know, the guys are
are almost their eyes are watering inside the studio in
(02:00:36):
Sherman Oaks. No, I've got a picture of me and
Ryan on Twitter. We've got both wearing gas masks here
the Ryan's Ryan's eyes were burning. You were saying that, right, Ryan,
you got a right on your show, don't you. Yeah, yeah,
we do, we do. Yeah, right, facts, buddy, We appreciate
Falcons rock And I'm always going to be a fan
(02:00:58):
and I'll never not be a fan. I've been there.
You're a good man, You're a loyal guy. Yeah, don't
go for you. Okay, even if they drive you to
the brink of insanity, Even if they drive you to
the brink you're so frustrated that you feel like you're insane.
(02:01:19):
Ryan had your eyes, Buddy, doing better Now they're they're
getting there. We're getting through it. Yeah, horrible fire seasons here.
All right. I'm glad Chris care about Ryan's eyes more.
But it's okay. Fellas on Fox, all right, Fellas not amity,
(02:01:40):
six am in the West on a Great Sports Saturday,
Reverend Shootout Texas, Oklahoma, l s U, Florida, USC, Notre Dame, Iowa,
Penn State, all around the lands from Big Time College Football.
We'ren give some breakdown in just a moment. Fellas coming
live from the Geico. Fox Sports Radio studios. Fifteen minutes
(02:02:03):
could save you fift or more on car insurance. Go
to Geico dot com for a free rate quote. We're
just this discussing this idea of taking a respite from
your team. This means you're not going to root for
another team. But you are so fed up, so insane
(02:02:25):
at the leadership and the just failure, the arrogant failure
of the sports executives that you are out on your squad. Now,
Big Link, who's got the heart of gold, says you
should never be out, No, stay with it, draft another receiver, Detroit.
(02:02:47):
But what do you don't you feel powerless? Like don't
like what if? You know? What if the point comes
where you as a fan fe ultimately powerless. You know,
here's the thing I and I I don't know it
that that level. So maybe that's where I'm a little different.
The loyalty stays is that your hope that the powers
(02:03:09):
will be are going to make are going to get
it right, and you stay true to the to the
to the possibility like that, But what you know what
you what comes into focus? Like for example, I agreed
with all your points. When the seventies six ers were
taking I agreed with everything you said. It just I
had a hard time losing on purpose that that was
(02:03:30):
hard for me to swallow. And even for what going
the Dolphins are going, Okay, I know you rebuild mode.
I get it, trust me, I understand, but I just
can't fathom going into the locker room and not giving
your team the best opportunity to win, like you're trying
to lose. However you do that. And so as as
(02:03:51):
a former athlete, I can't somebody come to me and say, hey,
you know what, Lincoln, they just do me a favor.
Um when when Reggie White takes an outside rush, just
miss him, get the quarterback killed, right, and you know
what's funny, But the Sixers never did that. What they
did was they just feeled the team that was just
they knew wasn't going to compete. And so from a
coaching staff standpoint, even even the team, even the players
(02:04:12):
that were out there, even though they knew they didn't
have they they were still giving it. They were trying,
they were giving it right. It wasn't like they were
throwing games. So it just they didn't have a point guard,
didn't and that really hurt. They're probably I mean they were,
they were awful because more times than not, as an athlete,
when you're in that situation, you don't know how bad
you are until you look up and see the result.
(02:04:34):
So as a fan, I don't know how I can comprehend. Well,
let me just turn it off and not support you.
You can't be my team until you get it right,
or that's not that's different than al right, So let's
let's use that you brought the sixers. Like I was
on board the whole time. I thought that was the
correct the correct path to take, which is to get
(02:04:58):
out of the NBA A purgatory y'all get out of
cap how and just start from scratch. So like you
still supported the team, right, Yes, yeah, so I mean,
and that's again we're talking about a little bit different
than the situation where you say, you know what, until
you get off me, until you get it right, I'm
not going to support him. If you're a Bengals team right, Like,
(02:05:19):
if you're a Bengals fan, how in the world can you, like,
can you possibly keep going forward now without at some
point having a breaking point? How many times could you
watch Andy Dalton, you know, coming there with season when
him is the quarterback and you go, I got no shot.
Or if you're a Redskins fan, how many times you're
(02:05:41):
gonna go to a season and go, I got I
got bum after bum coaching this team, I got no personnel,
I got How many times where you just go, I'm
I can't and then your talk down to like you
don't know what you're what you're talking about. Yeah, I
(02:06:02):
it's tough. I I can't imagine. I mean because here's
because from the other standpoint is that, okay, you stopped
going to games, you you stop supporting the team, and
then the big the powers of being But how often
do you I mean, I know you saw it in
baseball again, it's not impossible, but how often do you
see it? How often? I mean, for example, you talk
about the Bengals, No one's going to You're not gonna
(02:06:22):
take the Bengals away from the Browns family. That's I
realized that. And I'm not saying that you're gonna root
against your team. I'm saying is you need a regime change,
and so you just say I'm out until until they
had a regime. And it's not ownership, because you're right,
you can't control ownership. But at some point there's gonna
be a new GM, and then hope will be back
(02:06:46):
because you'll have a new way to deal with I mean,
you look at Cleveland. I know it hasn't worked out,
but you know you had to deal with all those
sassy brown baseball analytics. It was a disaster. You're gonna
plain those people for going you know, listen, I can't
do it anymore. When you guys get a real football
guy in there and wake me up, I guess you're right,
(02:07:09):
you know, I mean, I mean, that's what I'm saying.
I mean, I agree with your sentiment, which is loyalty,
but at some point you gotta be the have the
ability as a fan not to root for another team,
but at least say that, you know, my fandom is
going dormant until there's a regime change. Man. See. Oh
(02:07:33):
see that's the see that's that's the tough part from
me because because I hear exactly what you're saying, I
and I and I trust me, Like you're it's not
like you know, somebody said, uh, you know you're gonna
go find another wife. You're not find another wife. You're
just going dormant, you know, like you've been put through
(02:07:54):
the coals forever tough, like I'm done whatever it is right,
like you know, or what other example you get bandwagon?
Like it's bandwagon because if the new GM comes in
and you like the new GM, and you know, you
go all right. You know it's if you get a
fresh start with a new GM and a new coach,
(02:08:15):
you know you're ready to go, let's go. You gotta
be back on and and you know after a while
the same message, you know it's not gonna work. You
should be allowed to have a degree of frustration. No, there,
I agree with that. I just I'm trying to figure
out if you told if you take it all into
to to view, if I'm sitting at home and it's
(02:08:37):
on game day, I have to purposely not watch my team,
and I don't know how you do that. Well again,
you know I'm not saying you don't watch. I'm just saying, well, no, no,
I'm men today, you're a heart like you you you
cover your heart, you shield your heart. Let's go to
Eric and kalamazoo. Eric, you're on with the fellas. Oh,
(02:09:00):
good morning fellas. Wow, you've got more time. I see
it's been a while I want to get down on
like all broadcasters and sports people that bashed the Lions
and the Wolverines. I kind of went through that with
Fox Sports. You know, you you guys, give me hope,
Chris beside him, give me hope. There's a couple of
(02:09:22):
programs that brought me back when I had did that
with with with Fox because they were just bashing everything
and just wasn't feeling right. But I like links sticking
up with the Lions. Hey, we got a good shot
Monday night. We're gonna crush Green Bay like we did
the last game the last season. We beat the breaks
off New England last year. Uh Phillip Rivers, we knocked
(02:09:45):
them down. We had the time you beat the Eagles.
I watched your first day and go in on the
road and beat the Eagles, right, and they had a
Super Bowl recently and that's a good team too. Had
our old coach over there. I just leaned him on
the side, and you know that's positive. So they should
talk about the Lions more. And I like what he
(02:10:06):
said about to get another receiver. Maybe we can train
and get somebody, you know. But I'm I'm a pro
Michigan pro LANs man, I don't I don't hear anybody,
you know, like firing me up saying that. And Tan
Terry Brad saw that he mentioned the Lands and I
normally would be mad at him because I'm an old
Dallas fan of way back, but he no football. He
(02:10:28):
said you might want to watch out for him last,
so he go. Baby, thanks man, you got it. We
have a big Mayan's contingency here because Chris, Who's Who's Axel?
Following right, Chris wrapping the bat with some barbed wire
right now, that's you, baby for the purge. Preston in Midland, Texas, Preston,
(02:10:54):
you're off the Fellas morning, guys, are y'all doing? Good morning, Preston.
Hey man, you know I won't preface this by saying
I can't wait for the Texas OU game today. Oh yeah,
but I am getting so tired of the Big twelve.
It is like, yeah, man, it's like arena football. Yeah,
(02:11:16):
you know, and you know, and I remember, you know,
you know, living in those death the Middle area. You know,
we have Texans, we have long horns, and then we
had A and M which of course during the STC. Now,
so we're a pretty diverse area. You know, and we
love our high school football and even how school football
unerstands what defense is. Um, but it's just it's so
(02:11:38):
hard to watch. You know, these these games are already
four hours long with the timing, you know, stop the
clock on first downs. I mean, I'm trying to defense
is the more now. So maybe my problem is more
with college football not adjusting their their timing rules. You know.
It's funny though. I love the fact that I feel
like I feel satiated, like I get I feel full,
But you hanfel the game, the plays, it goes by
(02:12:01):
too quick. I understand where you're coming from, Preston. It's
hard for me to sit down for four hours. I
just you know, you know, I mean, you can't tell
him the chain game, can't That's probably a bunch of
overweight guys. But you can't tell me they can't walk,
you know, for dogs fifteen twenty yards down the field
and set the change while I talk to them. Mostly
(02:12:22):
I get you, I do, and you're right about defense.
I will steer you to Matt rule of balor. Who
knows how to coach defense? Well, it's one out of
the living I know what you want. I give you
one brother. That's all I could do. You enjoy the
river shootout, Man, River rivalry is gonna be a lot
(02:12:44):
of fun today. No one sits it, Attie, You're on
with the Fellas. Noah, Good morning, guys, Good morning Noah. Man.
I'm I'm calling. I'm out on the Bengals this year.
I don't blame you. I'm a huge fan. I love him.
I the last three or four years, I I go
(02:13:05):
to since night Pittsburgh game every year, and this year
they played. They played like the middle of November. You know,
I'm not going to watch that craft in the middle
of winter. So we went to Pittsburgh a few weeks
ago to watch the game. And it's just terrible, man.
You know, I spend the money and go there and
travel to Pittsburgh and just to lose. It was a
terrible feeling. And it was just that because it's like,
not that I hate the Brown family, but they don't
(02:13:26):
spend any money, and it's like we don't care about winning.
He just wants to make profits. And until we can
spend some money in free agency or a trade or something.
Now I'm just I'm done with him. I don't blame you.
I don't know how many times you're gonna go into
the season within looking at any Dalton. I mean really,
I mean how many times you go, I got no
(02:13:46):
prayer quarterback. He can't he can't win. And that's what
I'm probably one of the few fans that doesn't mind
Any Dalton because any when he's when the teams healthy,
he doesn't play back, but he's not gonna go win
you a game without Jake Green was not Tyler Eifert
or when I think we got three three starting offensive
linement out right now, it's like you gotta do something
(02:14:07):
and any I think evacually we need to get from them.
But right now we have so many issues and we
can't take any of them. Yeah, I mean it's bad.
I I feel for your brother. No with thanks, man,
I don't blame you one bit. I don't blame you
one bit. I do think Dalton will never win, but
you do have issues. I feel for your brother. Coming up,
(02:14:31):
we gotta go and uh, we gotta get back into
our college breakdown. We got picks galore coming up. We
need to go look take a look at the card
today and then we look a little NFL for tomorrow.
So still lots to do with the Fellas Linken Kennedy,

We are the fellas I think are down in lincol Kennedy.
We gotta jump right into it because we got a
lot to do. So let's get into our college breakdown.
(02:15:15):
It's Chris get a little college breakdown football music, right,
So it's a big day in college football. As you
can well imagine the Red Rivers shootout Texas Oklahoma, Texas
Oklahoma Jalen Hurts, who has been terrific against the Longhorns,
(02:15:36):
and uh, it's funny. I know the line started nine
and a half. It's it's up in some places to
ten and a half. Back down. I just see to
nine and a half. I love Texas in this game.
I just think they keep it close. Uh, I think
Oklahoma calling out right tough one the nine and a
(02:15:56):
half point though, but I'll go I'll go Texas with
at nine and a half, and we talked about this earlier.
I think I'll ride with you. I think it'll be
a lot closer though I do believe wholeheartedly and both
teams ability to score, especially on the opposing defenses. I
think this can get in the shootout, so we'll take
the over. I think the over is like seventy uh
take the over or seven take the over, and then
(02:16:19):
I'm gonna roll with Texas with the points. Georgia and
South Carolina. Georgia, that line is falling. It was at
twenty four, it's now down the twenty one and a half.
I love South Carolina in this game. I think South
Carolina gots quarterback back. I think it's uh can move
the ball on Georgia. I think Georgia wins, but I
(02:16:41):
just think that's too many points. I'm gonna take South
Carolina plus the twenty one and a half. I think
the game Cocks exude too much energy in the first
half and go toe for toe with as best they
came with Georgia. But Georgia takes off in the second half.
I'm gona late with Georgia. All Right, you got the
bold dogs Michigan laying twenty three and a half at Illinois.
They should never lay that big a deal. Sorry to
(02:17:03):
our buddy, Yeah, exactly a big Michigan fan. I'm not
trying to talk your Wolverines, but I mean, and you
saw them and they did. They had to claw against Iowa.
They should be able to handle Illinois. I guess I'll
lay it. Oh, you're on land. I'm gonna tall Helenoi
with the points. I think this is I think Michigan wins,
but I think Illinois finds a way to keep it
(02:17:24):
respectable under that with a three touchdown margin or something
like that and a half. I just don't think they
have any kind of offense too. But I hear you. Uh,
let's go to Alabama and A and M. Great game
Alabama seventeen Kelly. Look, I've fallen for the mind that
(02:17:46):
trapped before against Auburn. I thought A and M would
win the game. They came up small. However, I'm gonna
ride Aggies again. Call me a sucker, but I'll take
the Aggies plus the seventeen. I think Bama wins, but
I think it's a bit of a sweat as long
(02:18:07):
as two is a quarterback. I refused a better spread
against with Bama, so I'm just gonna let it. I agree.
I mean, I I hear your mean. I still like
a yeah, I get it, and I just don't even
I'm not even till guy, but I just I've learned
my lesson. All right, Clemson's seven over Florida State. He
(02:18:27):
got ugly last year. Tell me why he doesn't get
ugly this year? It is Florida State. Better is Florida State?
Can Florida State have any speed to match up with Clemson?
I know I got ugly, and you know, but I
think the same thing. I think Clemson's as good. I
know they didn't look good against Syracuse. They've never looked
(02:18:49):
at against Syracuse. I still don't know, like the lines,
I don't know what I get out of Florida State.
Half the time I'm on their badwagon. They disappoint or
you know, on their on their their their their carriage,
and then the other times I just don't know what
to make of them. But with that mean said, I
still think clem isn't gonna win. I'm just gonna get
Florida to stay a little bit credit. I think they
keep it under four touchdowns, So I'm gonna take the
(02:19:11):
spread with every right. How about this one? Sparty at
unbeaten Wisconsin. Sparty tough spot man for for Sparty, two
tough games back to back. You have to deal with
Ohio State last week, and now you got Wisconsin. Wisconsin
(02:19:33):
is as ten point favorite. Like, I gotta lay it.
I think it's too physical for Michigan State to do
back to back. Wisconsin is gonna come out there and
pound them with that big offensive line. I think they're
gonna wear him down mission. So I'm gonna lay with
the with the Badgers, agreed, I'm with you. Arizona State,
Washington State, Wazoo on the Road are unpopular one point favorite.
(02:20:00):
Everybody falling in love with the Arizona State in this spot.
Nobody wants anything to do with Leeches crew, especially if
we call them fat and titled. I'm gonna ride with
the fat and titled bunch. Go to coaching. He doesn't
he know how to inspire his guys. So you can
take it one or two ways. You can either, you know,
just look at me like you know, man, I'm done
(02:20:21):
with you and I want to walk out of the program,
or you can just put up a fight. That being said,
I still like Arizona State at home. So I'm gonna
take the Sun Devils. That's your squad. You've seen them,
you know not. Here's the thing I think defensively, I
think for what the air raid does, Arizona States strength
of their defense is their secondary, especially with their corners.
(02:20:43):
So I think they can generate a rush timely blitzes
to get UH to Wazoo. More importantly, I think they
can negate a lot of things. So I just think
even though even though a SU doesn't have a complete offense,
you know, Benjamin of course can run the ball. I
think you can get some stuff or done against waizo um.
But I think the Sun Devils take him at home. Alright.
I like Watchington State in this one, uh Cincinnati against
(02:21:08):
Houston seven point favorite over the Coog's. I like Houston
this game to win the game. Outright, I do too,
I'm right, really, yeah, yeah, yeah, all right. Texas check
Baylor Baylor Lane ten and a half. Everybody's in love
with Texas tech. Let me tell you something, Baylor wins
(02:21:30):
this thing three touchdowns. Texas Tech is it is a
popular dog, beware of the public dog that people don't
realize how good the Baylor defense is. I love the
Ballard Bears in this game. The fighting rules go. Let's
go with the mighty David Carson's the Baylor beauty bill Bears,
(02:21:53):
Notre Dame USC. I don't know who to like in
this game. The Irish. I don't levin point favorite against USC.
The game is in the off bend. Um. I'm curious.
I I don't know how to I'm tough. I'm getting
read on this game. Taking SC with the points. I
(02:22:13):
think I think SC is gonna play him tough and
they're gonna keep it close. I think it Notre Dame
eventually wins. But I'm taking with the points. What what
what do you what do you like about them? I
like SC skilled players against Notre Dame. Skilled players on
both sides of the ball, aside from quarterback play. I
think the quarterback advantage definitely goes to the book of
the end but for Notre Dame. But I do like
(02:22:35):
the skill players that s seas. I think they find
a way to make get plays and keep this game
close is just back yep, I think you'd be a
little rusty. I mean, of course he wasn't the main starter.
He's a little he was a little sleepy after congression,
so I like him. I like the skill players to
help take over this game. All right, you got the Trojans.
I have no feeling. I'll just defer to you the game.
(02:23:00):
My love onder the like to kinne unbeaten. Penn State
goes to Iowa, and I love the hawk Eys minus
the excuse me, plus the three and a half, I
think they win the game out right. There are a
couple of times every year that we talk about especially
(02:23:22):
talk about how someone has to show you that they
can do it before you actually acknowledge they can do it.
And what I mean by that, I have to show
you they can get a signature win, have to show
you they can, you know, beat a team they haven't
been able to beat, or do something they haven't been
able to do before. This is a big conference clash
um in my opinion, and to see where Penn States
(02:23:45):
if they're tough enough to withstand Iowa. More importantly, James
Franklin had the type of job he's gonna do against
the Hawk guys. Uh so, m hm. I'm gonna go
with Penn State too. I'm a rive with I'm going
to Iowa. I'm going to Penn State. All right, you're
(02:24:05):
gonna go Hawk eyes. I love Iowa. Really, A part
of me wants to say, you know what, right with
the Hawkeyes andtel Penn State. But I think Penn State
is up for the challenge. I think they get this one.
What should be a big one for them. The size
off the Hawkeyes offensive line didn't look as great as
I wanted them to do against Michigan. All Right, you
(02:24:25):
got it. You could have them LSU and Florida number
five against number seven in the line is fourteen l
s U big favorite over the six and old Gators,
and I love every second, every point of it. Gibby
l s U to win by plus well, I think
(02:24:51):
it's a tall test. It's difficult spot for Florida. They
did not play the schedule game like their other SEC counterparts.
When they put these two teams back to back against
each other, especially having to go in the road, um,
it's gonna be tough for them to hang before a
full sixty minutes. Florida will slow things down. So with
that being said, I'm going to take I think l
Su wins, but I think Florida keeps it close. I'm
gonna take Florida with the points. Really, how did they
(02:25:13):
keep a close? Explain that to me. I like their defense.
I like their ability to rush. No, no, no, no,
you're high on him, rightfully high. I think this is
a big test. I just think that this is you know,
if they're able to keep it low, they have a chance.
But I mean, I don't think this game gets out.
You know, you say three touchdowns. I don't think he
(02:25:34):
gets a blowout like that. I gotta give the number
what number seven team a little bit more respect than that.
All right, by much? I got you, I got you?
All right. Well let's take a quick too, let's get
I know, and let's talk a little trending. You know,
the Yankees are in action later today. I know he
loves that. It's not so much the good morning, by
(02:25:57):
the way, good morning, not so much said I love
that the Yankees are in action. It's that I love
the fact that our guy will be in action, jam
Master John Sterling, And I'd like to lay down the gauntlet.
I think collectively guys, we felt that he didn't really
extend himself the last month or two of the regular season.
(02:26:20):
He was using his old home run monikers, not really
as outrageous as we've seen from him earlier in the season.
So here's hoping that he steps up his game during
the postseason when the American League Championship Series begins. The nationally,
I I love it, I can't. I hope that next
Saturday we're sitting here and we are stunned into silence
(02:26:44):
by the outrageousness of his home run calls. Here's hoping
that happens. Last night. Meanwhile, the National leagu Championship Series
got underway and the upstart Washington Nationals did it again.
They defeated the Cardinals in St. Louis two to nothing.
Anna Baal Sanchez got the win, and not only that,
he had a no hitter, going for seven and two
thirds innings. In the NBA, the Lakers say that Anthony
(02:27:06):
Davis sprained his right thumb in the first half of
their preseason game going on right now in China. He
did not return to the game. Right now. The Brooklyn
Nets lead the Lakers eight four to sixty seven with
six and af to play in the fourth quarter of
that game in China. In college football last night, Miami
upset twenty rank Virginia seventeen to nine. And we have
(02:27:27):
some historic news to pass along to you today. Today,
Kenyan Olympic champion eliud kipt Coj became the first person
in history to run a marathon in less than two hours.
Today in Vienna, Kip Choke finished in one hour, fifty
nine minutes and forty point two seconds. However, there's a catch.
(02:27:51):
The I A A F. The International Association of Athletic
Federations will not sanction it as a world record, be
because Kip cho Gay was supported by a group of
pace setting runners along the way. And I think I
joined everyone in saying w T F I A A F.
(02:28:13):
Anthony and Lincoln back to you. That is beyond clever.
I mean, thank you. The guy breaks the millennial equivalent
of Roger Banister's four minute's note. Yeah, I mean, I
mean if he was like running like the New York
(02:28:33):
City and Boston marathons, I mean there'd be other people running.
What I mean, what's the big deal? But guy still,
the guy still did it in under two hours. I
A fee he did a marathon in under two hours.
Ye now, let's sick. I mean, look, you guys know
this well. Here in l A, we can't drive twenty
(02:28:54):
six miles in under two hours because traffic, absolutely true.
And you can't run anywhere with all the smoke right now, poor,
that's horrible. All right, thank you, I know we love you.
Where the fellas coming alive from the Geico Fox Sports
radio studios. Fifteen minutes could save you fiftent or more
(02:29:16):
on car insurance. Go to geicode dot com and get
a free rate quote. I like one one quick college
note to destroy you. Boisy is thirteen and a half
against Hawaii. It seems like, let seem late to light
to you, but let all right, it tells me to
go Hawaii. It really yeah. I think you're reading it
(02:29:39):
a little tune. Then just lay it all right, big man?
All right, let's get NFL. Um. Let's go quickly into
our NFL selections the big day tomorrow as you went out.
It starts early, so six thirty and on the West
coast there's a game. Do you love the six dirty game? Dude?
(02:30:04):
That's a little too early, but what my who am
I to comment? I wake up at three am do
this game, let me do this show. That's true, but
you know you nearly man, What do you think? Crazy?
You don't want a six thirty SAT start? No, thank you?
Oh you're a loser, Ryan, What do you think? Why?
Why should it? Why should I get up five in
(02:30:26):
the morning to tailgate? Ryan? You don't want a six
thirty start to watch the game? No, this is the
only time during my week where I'm awake at Yeah,
I hear you, brother, I you know I can't do
take your work self out of it. No, no, no,
I just can't love sixt start. They should make, they
(02:30:47):
should make all the London games start at six o'clock,
so it's normal time for the United States. Now why
I love it? You know it's right or whatever? Yeah,
it's not their it for you? So you're you're up,
You're ready for your ten am game? Why not just
started at six? And that way you have it at
ten am? Like you like you do? Well, actually, don't you?
(02:31:10):
Your first game is the ten am for the West.
Your first game is one o'clock, so so different for
East Coasters, right, And and I don't want to lose
the game, like I got four games tomorrow. Why get it.
I still think you should started in London at six o'clock. No,
but then it just blends in with the other games.
Let it stand alone for thirty minutes or whatever it's
(02:31:33):
You don't have any early morning. The early game is
the early ninth thirties. It we are games started at
one o'clock. Yeah, that's right, So I love it. I
got four games to borrow, so we're spoiling on the
West coast because our game starts at ten am and
then you have yeah, but you don't get a late game.
So we have it tomorrow nine thirty, one o'clock and eighty. Yeah,
(02:31:58):
that's our schedule on the East coast. So you know,
I'm loving loving life. Carolina Tampa Bay is that game.
I like Carolina revenge from the earlier game where Tampa
beat him on Thursday Night Football when Cam was terrible,
and I don't think his replacement, the kid Alan, I
(02:32:23):
don't think he. I think he's been better than Cam.
Give me Carolina, well, I agree. I think they have
been a lot better, a lot more efficient on offense
without Cam. And I think this is a sort of
prelude to the future where I think the Panthers might
be ready to move on make a number of changes,
most to Bay quarterbacks. So I do like Panthers as well.
Chiefs Texans, Chiefs laying four against Houston. Now, I think
(02:32:48):
they're going to get after Patrick, especially that ankle. But
I still think the Chiefs offensive they are too much
for the Texans. So yes, lay it, Chiefs, lay it,
lay it, lay it. Um. I agree they're banged up. No,
Sammy Watkins, as you know, so there's some issues there, right,
(02:33:11):
what the Chiefs. Yeah, well, I mean they might get
what Tiree back, so you know, I still think they've
got enough on offense. All right, all right? How about
this one? Seattle laying to Seattle too over Cleveland. For
some reason, I just think Cleveland's gonna win this game.
(02:33:33):
I don't know why. I'm just gonna go with Cleveland.
I just have a I have a feeling. It's maybe
it's it's indigestion. I don't know, Maybe I'm I'm tired
for my two weeks hiatus. But for some reason, Cleveland
is gonna win this game. You don't want You're probably
right tough. It's it's a tough matchup for Seattle. I
(02:33:53):
can totally see it. The toilet ball. The Skins are
a four point favorite over the Dolphins. Oh yeah, he
had a different totle, But I thought I thought the
toilet was Atlanta in Arizona. I forgot about this one.
Toile pole to the remake. I don't even know which
way to go with that one. Who's worse? Redskins are
(02:34:16):
trust the porcelain um? Shoot, I don't know. Let's just uh,
do the Dolphins get a win at home against somebody's
gotta win? They both stinko? Alright, plus four? I'll yeah, sure, game.
(02:34:38):
I really like Jacksonville. It's laying two and a half
to New Orleans. That game at one point was New
Orleans at one point. Favorite. Take the jaggue Wars minus
the two and a half against New Orleans. Going with
the fighting porn stash gardenship, I think, I think, I
think they're legit. I think the legit at home too.
(02:34:58):
I think they'll have something for it. Uh, friend, New Orleans,
I'm gonna ride with the Jacks as well. All Right,
we both like Jacksonville, and uh, let's do one more
Cincinnati Cleveland? Uh, since many Baltimore, excuse me, Baltimore is
laying eleven against the Bengals. I mean I don't know. Yeah,
(02:35:20):
I mean, look at these teams are terrible. Yeah yeah,
we got we got some stinkers, so yeah, I gotta
I gotta lay it lay with the Ray Staggers. Yeah,
all right, will come back and finish the NFL card.
It's like a Kennedy the Anthony Gargana together the Fellas
on Ah Fellas from the Geico Fox Sports Radio Studios.
(02:35:49):
Fifteen minutes can save you fifteen more Cornsurance. Got a
guy code dot Com get a free rate quote. Alright,
big link, let's uh, let's hit it. We got some
rest of the games that go through a lot of fun. Man,
great having your back from London. Glad to be back, Mr.
(02:36:09):
You love you brother. Uh. The Vikings a three point
favorite over the Eagles and a huge NFC battle. It's
one of the real big games. The Rams and Niners
and then the Eagles of Vikings are the two big
NFC battles. I like the Vikings at home. I'm I'm
gonna keep a short and swede and know we're up
(02:36:30):
against I like the Vikings at home. Yeah, I kind
of do too. I kind of do too. I think
it's tough game. That's set. The Eagles have three straight
road games. Next week is the Big One Eagles and
Cowboys in Dallas Sunday Night Football. The Eagles will get
(02:36:52):
the Seawan Jackson back. I'm I kind of see them.
Could they could stumble this week and I think they
rolled next week. But that's just kind of I vibe
from inside that team. Uh, Rams and Niners. Rams are
a three point favorite. UM Todd Gurley is gonna be hobbed.
(02:37:13):
What is gonna hurt their offense? The officiacy of their
play action. I like, I like the I like the
fourteen ns. Do you really wow? That's amazing. And by
the way, it's October, which means it's a guy cooween.
Don't be scared by high rates on car insurance. This
guy Coween. Get a quote with Geico. See how much
(02:37:37):
you could save? Maybe so much. It's scary. Geico, fifteen
minutes can save you fifteen more car insurance? All right?
I wow? I like the Rams. I love to see
the Niners win. I I know thou keep to leave
and Girly, I don't know you. You haven't believed in
(02:37:59):
the MS. And and maybe that's part of it. But yeah,
it's great. That's a great game. Uh Whi's not a
great game? Is toilet Bowl too? At Lanta in Arizona.
I'll take the Falcons, how about you? Um, they're in Arizona.
Take the outside the cards? Alright, another, but I think
the Falcons. I think the Falcons are going to go
(02:38:20):
through a coaching change and coach is gonna be the
first one to fall. Really yeah, well, uh, not a game.
It stinks Tennessee and Denver. Denver is laying a point
a half. There was three toilet bowls. Oh my goodness. Yeah,
hold your nose. Um, yeah, I'll go. I'll go with
(02:38:40):
the Titans. Yeah, I'll go Denver. Ye. How about this game?
The Jets and the Cowboys. Darnald's back explaining me the
fact that the Cowboys are only seven. I know they're
bagged up along their offensive line because they're gonna be
(02:39:02):
hanging out in New York. So give me the Jets
with the points. I don't know why, just give me
the Jets with the points. Yeah, you know, is it?
That's a popular pick. Somebody, somebody, somebody I really respect,
took the Jets out right? Oh really, I wouldn't be surprised. Yeah,
and how could how could the Jets beat the Cowboys
(02:39:23):
and co figure stranger things have happened in the world
of NFL. And then the stinker of stinkers. Uh, another
bad one, Steelers and Chargers. Somebody's gotta win that one.
Huh Charges six and a half. Now they're playing it.
You know, go Samford, go, But this was making a
(02:39:46):
trip all the way across the country. Go with the
Charges and lay it. It's a stinker. And Pittsburgh was
announced their fifth string quarterback. I mean, was he even
on a roster? I mean, that's how far they had
to go. Devilin Hodges makes it makes the start um.
You know, I don't know what to say about Devil
(02:40:06):
Hodges other than you know, against Baltimore he was seven
for nine for sixty eight yards after Rudolph was knocked
out of the game. But Deviline Hodges, you know, for
its finest I it's it's amazing. It's some big games,
aren't there. Well, they're they're a couple of stinkers. There's
some there's some gems, obviously, but there's a couple of stinkers. Besides,
(02:40:29):
I think Green Bay. Detroit's gonna be good when that's
some when we're going to next Monday Night. Yes, it
is the Packers of four point favorite over the Lions,
and I don't know what to make of the Lions,
and that's why I opened up the show with talking
Chris to to to get his assessment. I think I'll
learn a lot more about him in this game. But
it's just hard for me to go against Green Bay
at home, so I might at the lay with green Bay.
(02:40:50):
So we ask your question. You know, linemakers, they give
you three points for home field, right, so you're gonna
tell me that the Lions and the Packers are really
only separated by a point. I think, what the What
the Lions can do? What I've seen so far from
their defense is they can well one, they can run
the ball against the Packers, and too, I think they
have some defensive players that might be able to slow
(02:41:11):
down the receivers. With that being of the of the
pack Um. With that being said, if they don't come
in and stop the run, um, it's gonna be a
long day, especially like it was for Dallas. I think
Aaron Rodgers just finds a way to beat him by
a touchdown. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I you know, I kind
of agree with you. I think you know, I'm gonna
(02:41:33):
go Lions. Man, let's go Lions outright, Chris, there you go.
I'm feeling it. I like the Astros today, like, well, yeah,
what about Nats and Cards? Cards come back or you're
like washing it again. I think Cards have to come back.
They just show me so much resiliency. I think they
come back. They are they're they're resilient, resilient team. Right,
(02:41:57):
we are at a time. Everybody, thanks you and the
fellas were out. Have a great weekend.
