Speaker 1 (00:01):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio. Oh, let's go, stinking genius,
let's go, let's go, let's go. They'll never know the
hustle and the flow of one Bobo to get us
on the air tonight, right, I gotta do so much.
I gotta do everything around here. Okay, as we come,
be alive tonight from the getic Fox Sports Radio studios,

(00:22):
where fifteen minutes could save you fifteen cent or more
on car insurance. All you have to do is visit
Geico dot com for a free rate quote. We are
currently experiencing what I would call my worst night. Man.
Can I say some real quick go ahead. What you're
not gonna do, Arnie, is take away from the work
I just did. I'll be damned if you sit here
and take away from what I just went through. What

(00:42):
you called and crying, panicking because you couldn't to us
and me running around his studio to make sure stuff was.
You're gonna give me my credit on this one. I'm sorry.
I normally let you get away with it. Not this time,
Vacation bow Boy. I told Bobo to hit the on
button to get us on the air, and I think
we might have some connection issues. And about we just

(01:05):
lost Arnie. We just lost Arnie and have to worry
about him spoiling his game for you. Here's here's what
it is. Arnie and I, uh even we were kind
of cool with COVID before, you know, even the COVID days,
because you know, we were broadcasting from two different locations,
and so now it sucks because the Raiders are trying

(01:28):
to drive to win a football game. And Arnie's feed
has always traditionally been because uh, where I watch games
and where I do my show from. I have a
studio and I you know, I don't have like the
direct TV out here or the Cox cable or Charter
or whatever you use. And I usually watch things through
like the NBC Sports app or the ESPN app, so

(01:50):
my feed is always way behind yours. So this this
really sucks, Arnie. I just I can't think of any
other way to put it, because I'll hear the O
and oh and the oh no is and I'll have
to wait probably a good thirty five seconds before I
figure out exactly what happened. Are you that far behind me?
Is that? How far the feet is? Where you're where
you are? Is that off our behind it is I'm

(02:11):
five oh four to go in the fourth quarter of game. Oh,
I have a fine on now, so not. I don't
think you're four minutes and thirty two seconds, So I'll
be quiet myself. Wow, that's just all all I ask.
All I ask is for you to realize that this

(02:32):
isn't a game for me, gentlemen, this is this isn't
a game, all right, this is my life? Wait? What
was what was that? That was the Oh that was
the old Texas baseball coach. Remember that rant, one of
the all time great rants. He's in the locker room
and he's yelling and he's throwing things. He goes, this

(02:53):
isn't a game. This is our lives. And that's how
I feel right now watching this game head down the wire.
We're what I've noticed so far, Arnie, is that there
hasn't really been a lot of the thing that's known
as defense played in this game. Have you noticed that tonight? Well, well,
it's not like they put up an abundance of point
fifty two. It's just they had a couple of long
drives to start the second half. Off um that took

(03:14):
that took up the whole third quarter. Each team took
one drive in before you know what, the whole third
quarter was chewed up. But you're right, there's um, it's
not that not a lot of defensive being played. The
offenses have been sharp. Kansas City has picked up a
lot of third downs too, and even a fourth down.
So I don't know what the percentages, it seems like
they gotta be like fift on third downs. Yeah, it

(03:34):
has been a fascinating game to watch because just from
a numbers perspective, think about this, Kansas City with I'm
going with my feed by the way, gentlemen, with three
fifty five to go in the game, has lead over
the Raiders. Raiders driving to try to win the game,
and Kansas City hill to night has like thirty first downs.

(03:54):
I mean, I understand what you're saying, and oh, there's
not a lot of points being put up, but you
have fifty three combined first down between the two teams.
Aren'tie fifty three combined first down two teams. I mean,
it's incredible and it's been a fun night. It really
has been. I kind of thought heading into tonight that

(04:15):
Kansas City was gonna roll and that the Raiders would
come back to earth, And I mean there's still a
chance for a pick six, which can make that happen.
But he got to be honest, Arenie, kind of impressive
to see. Thank you. Bernie. Frattle just texted Augie Garrido
was the head coach that was yelling in the locker room.
Thank you, Bernie. My mind went blank for a Minut's
a great, late, great Augie Garrito. This isn't a game,

(04:35):
it is our life. Is our life, Aarnie. But I
kind of thought Kansas City might just roll the Raiders tonight.
But you know, it's six and three. The Raiders will
look pretty game so far this evening. UM, it's been
a good one. Obviously, it will come down to this
last drive. This is a big one because Miami lost today. UM,
Indianapolis got a victory, Cleveland got a victory. So this

(04:57):
is a big one for the Raiders to stay with.
UM the rest of the pack that was at six
and three coming on in. So we'll continue to monitor
this as day head down the stretch again. Kansas City
holding onto a lead over the Raiders final two minutes
will bring you a final as soon as it becomes
a final. Uh As Derek Carr just absolutely tried to
give the game away where I am on the feed,
I'm gonna say looking at fun ball, but I didn't

(05:19):
want to go and get you all upset. Thankfully, Gabe
Jackson jumped on it, but it looked like there was
all kind of movement beforehand. All right, So, Arnie, one
of our one of my favorite traditions that we have
on Sunday nights is where we play a little game
called after a Week Blank. I know this, so we
we have a lot to get to. How before we
get into our benchmark take are you okay tonight? With

(05:42):
the to quote unquote benching injury? I don't know what
do you want to call it? Um? The benching? You
can't say the other way? And oh yeah, I'm fine.
A matter of fact, right before the show, I was
um on the phone with my new BF, Trevor. I
don't know if you've heard of him, So no, we
were talking, we're gonna get dinner together, and um, we're
gonna hang out. So no, I'm I'm fine, And UM,

(06:04):
if I didn't have to do this show, I pibly
over hanging out with him right now. To be honest
with you, you know, one of my favorite things about
doing the show with you. From week to week, everything
can change. We can't get Trevor anymore because the Texas one,
it's out of him. It's not it's just not gonna
happen anymore. We're stuck with him. We're stuck with him.

(06:25):
You're stuck with two. Yeah, Oh, I keep forgetting. I'm like,
what do you mean the Texans one? I keep forgetting.
That's what you're having to root for exactly. If you're
having to root for the Texans, how, oh my gosh,
did you have to actually root for the Patriots today?
I did, But then it doesn't make a difference because, um,
you know that two is gonna be the long term quarterback. Though,
I was okay with the benching, and I thought that's

(06:47):
what they should have done. They had a better chance
to win UM with with Fitzpatrick, so I thought it
was a good thing to do. Um all the way around.
He just wasn't getting the offense moving. Sorry, if you're
not getting it done, go to the bench. That's it.
Do it. I know you're going crazy because you just
saw the Raiders get a penalty in the end zone,
so they're gonna happen first to go on the one
yard line. I'd like to hear that that's for real,

(07:09):
but I haven't seen it yet. Oh you haven't seen
Tod I blow that for you. I'm sorry, I'm I'm sorry.
If you're blowing something positive, I'm not gonna complain about it. Though.
If you give the Chiefs time with the ball back
with any time on the clock, you're done, so done. Here.
Here's what's fascinating to me about this is and we're
talking about two and getting benched at today. I mean,

(07:30):
don't you just want your guy to fight through it?
I mean, isn't that the way to go on something
like this? Don't you want your guy to just kind
of fight and scratch and clause way through it? On?
He is not peewee football. You don't gonna say, okay, guys,
let's just do our best and then afterwards we're gonna
go to the dairy queen. Um, you gotta win the game.
You're six and three, the playoffs are on the line.
Every game is important. The offense wasn't moving. Uh sorry,

(07:54):
you're not getting it done. Go to the sideline. We'll
get somebody else that could move it. Just because he's
a rookie and making his four start. I'm not gonna
sugarcoat it, man, like, get the get the offense moving,
or get to the sideline. My friend, It's so fascinating because, uh,
it's so different than what you see with a team
that I don't know, might be in a situation to

(08:14):
where they're they're tanking, right, Because here's Miami who comes
out and says, you know what we're gonna do. We're
gonna go out and we're gonna win the damn football game,
and we're gonna try to do everything we can to
beat this team. Meanwhile, you know, if if you're in
a situation to where you might be fighting and scratching
and claw and uh, just make sure you end up
getting say the first pick in the draft or something,

(08:34):
he's oh, let's just keep him out there for a
little bit. So I kind of I kind of dug
Arnie that they did indeed make the move, because to me,
it showed a team that's still believes they've got a
chance to make some noise and get to the playoffs.
And they do. They still have a great chance to
make the playoffs. So don't quit yet. I'm no, no,
I'm not I'm not quitting. There's no doubt. I mean,
I'm rooting for Kansas City like crazy. That's sorry, not

(08:56):
nothing against you, but I can't have the Raiders going
to a game up. So uh yeah, there's gonna be
some of those uh six and four teams that are
not gonna make it, and it's gonna be interesting to
see if they catch up to the rest of the crowd.
All right, so let's get into it. Then after week eleven, Arnie,
now that we've been been able to touch on my
nervous energy watching the final moments of this Raiders Chiefs game,

(09:18):
as we touched on your boy to getting benched. Today
after week eleven of the National Football League, I know this,
the Packers are choking dogs. I mean really, they're supposed
to be a number one seat. They don't scare me
wide open in the NFC. Sure, they've got a great offense.
Aaron Rodgers was good, but um they had no business

(09:39):
losing that game. I don't even know how many penalties
were called. I don't even want to We'll get into
that later, but um, well, what a horrible loss. That's
a game they let's slip through their fingers. I know
they had to come back late, but never should have
been in that situation. They don't scare me at all.
After after week eleven, I know they don't scare me
at all. All right, um he here's here's one for

(10:01):
me And this is one that honestly, uh I I
got a little crow on after week eleven. I know this.
I'm in on the Steelers and you might say, finally,
way to go now. Yeah, I get that. I get that.
You might say, well, what they played two really bad teams.

(10:21):
You're in on a team that just beat the Bengals
and just beat today the Jaguars. Yeah, I am because Arnie,
I think when you beat teams like that sixty three
to thirteen. Um, I think they learned from how they
performed against the Dallas Cowboys and I think they learned
from that. I think they're getting better as this season progresses.

(10:43):
And that's a lot to say about a tennano football
team right now. But man, what they did today as
bad as the Jacksonville Jaguars are, I think that's pretty impressive.
To be honest with you, it is. They still won't
go on the feed in I mean, they're they'll probably
lose at buff Low. There's a good chance there. I
think they probably beat the Ravens and a g they

(11:04):
if they can pay Buffalo, they will go on the feeted.
What are their odds like eight or nine to one?
I should have gotten out on that a long time
ago when they were fifteen or sixteen the one to
go on the feted. All right, Um, here's can I
throw one in here real quick? After Week eleven, I
know that the Saints defense might be the best defense
in the NFL right now. After losing in weeks two

(11:27):
and three to Las Vegas in Green Bay, they have
role I think, what are we talking about now? Whenever
you look at the Saints, who were one and two
at one point in the season, lost Drew Brees to
an injury. They have put together a winning streak now
of seven seven games, and they've allowed twenty five points
in the last three games combined, and they've forced nine

(11:49):
turnovers in those three games. They're eight and two, Arnie.
If you want to get on Green Bay for going
the wrong way, New Orleans has had in the right way,
and that team is scary to me getting out of
the NFC right now. And I don't even add I
didn't have to wait eleven weeks to know this. I
knew this last year, in the year before. Taysom Hill's
the real deal. Little face on everybody that was doubting

(12:09):
him going going through eight. There's his whole NFL career.
Oh my goodness, it's just gonna be too overwhelming for him. Um,
it wasn't too overwhelming for him, But then people canna
say it was just the Falcons. He had a week
to prepare, it was at home. Okay, there's always gonna
be some excuse. Taysom Hill Hill was the real deal.
This is why they kept them, all right. I got

(12:30):
time to fit in one more if you want to
slide in one more after Week eleven. I know this.
Oh I thought you were gonna take the That was
my week eleven. That was my hill. Okay, my bad.
I didn't know you were going over the top. Grip
on my Saints defensive take on this thing so far?
All right, Well, we've got much more to come from
Week eleven, including what is the unfortunate end to the

(12:52):
season for one of the I guess maybe more impressive
rookie quarterbacks. Even though today I texted you and thought, hey,
what if the Bengals really have the bottom fall out
and end up with the number one pick overall. He's ude.
Trade Burrow and Trevor Lawrence. What did you get? I
don't know if many people would argue. James Roppone is

(13:12):
gonna join us coming up in a bit. Uh. He's
pretty special, dude. He's coverage Cincinnati for the last couple
of years, has been in Ohio for a while. He'll
give us some perspective on the injury to Joe Burrow
and where the Beagles go from here. Plus we're gonna
have to Vegas coming up next hour. Todd Ferman is
going to join us. And Matt Verdam your boy, we
say that right. Matt Verde Ram is our wrong. Matt

(13:34):
Verdi is gonna join his fans sided in our final
hour look at lead to Lap getting us somewhe to
stay up late. Love it. So we'll wrap things up
tonight with Matt. But when we come back, let's learn
more about what happened to Joe Burrow today and an
injury updated across the league with Arnie and Plank right
here on Fox Sports Radio. Artie Plank on Fox Sports

(13:55):
Radio on a Sunday night, watching Patrick Mahomes potentially engineer
at game winning Dry here is just not good. It's
absolutely killing me. Hey, do you know what doesn't know
is knowing that we have great partners like Geico. Do
you own or your home? Sure you do. Fortunately, Geico
makes it easy to bundle your home and car insurance.
It's a good thing too, because having a home is

(14:16):
hard work. Go to Geico dot com, get a quote
and see how much you could have save Geko dot com. Easy.
We are joined right now by one of our favorite
dudes to talk to, covers the Bengals for s I,
host of the Locked On Bengals podcast. James Rapine joins us,
and obviously, James, it's one of the biggest stories in
the NFL, a scene that none of us liked to see,
and that was the injury to Joe Burrow. Today. Can you,

(14:39):
first and foremost, what have you heard? How's he doing?
How's he handling things? I think he's handling things much
like Joe Burrow and you would expect him to handle things,
which is is kind of crazy, but he just seems
to respond to adversity the right way. Um and certainly
showed that with his tweet aile of the Bengals were
still on the field treets that you know, I'll see

(15:01):
you next year. UM. So I think he's handling things well.
But obviously you're talking A C L and maybe more
and they'll have to um get the m R I
results and things back to see for sure. That's what
I was about to ask you. Was it the A
C L and more? Do we just not know what
the ad more is right now? We we don't know,
but obviously you do look at it, and I get

(15:22):
you can't go off at just that, but I mean,
it looked pretty bad, so I wouldn't be shocked at
all if it was more. But I know initial tests
determined that it was the A c L. So I
it's it's really really unfortunate for a good dude and
a guy that I think Cincinnati was just completely all
lay on. I haven't heard one bad thing about Joe
Burrow from any fans and and they were just so

(15:44):
excited to have their guy and to see him go
down was pretty heartbreak. Patrick Mahome to the touchdown passes
Travis Kelsey. So the Chiefs have taken the league here
With thirty well twenty eight seconds left in the game,
Raiders have one time out left. But this game is over,
so that means I can focus on this show, which
is great. Um, James, okay, can you begin to tell

(16:05):
us what Joe burrow has started a mean to this team?
And I know they're still not at an area where
they're as competitive as they want to be or where
fans feel like they need to be. But if he
sold hope and everyone's talking about how impressed they've been
with him, So from your perspective, can you give us
a little slice of what he's meant to Cincinnati already? Oh? Man,

(16:26):
the most popular athlete in Cincinnati. I haven't really I'm
trying to think maybe chat and the chat Johnson era,
but there hasn't really been a time where one guy
and I think it's different when it is at the
quarterback has has commanded the city the way he has.
Everyone knows about him, everyone's uh focused on him, asking

(16:46):
about him, even the most casual sports fans family France.
But hey, what do you think of Joe Burrow? Man?
He's good, high and it's it's crazy and so when
you see that this happened, this is something guys that
I think Bengals fans have feared pre draft because everyone
knew that the offensive line was bad, and everyone knew

(17:06):
that the the offensive line was a potential issue. And
as the season started, it was with the amount of
hits he had taken through Creo weeks, three weeks and
all the way up to nine weeks going into today's game,
and it's just he had always popped back up despite
dealing with a bunch of big hits. You probably saw
the Chase Young hits in the first half where he
popped right back up when we're used to seeing that,

(17:27):
and he didn't pack pot back up. On Sunday, when
Bagel fans go to sleep, what's the best case scenario
they dream of that they get an offensive line and
that Borrow becomes like a Hall of Famer and that
this team is on their way to the playoffs and more. Babe,
that's exactly right. I think that's right. Like I've recorded

(17:49):
a bunch of stuff since the game, and I think,
if you want to look at this from an optimistic you, well,
maybe this does force the organization and they do feel
that pressure to put the right people in place, whether
that's offensive line or coaching or whatever you think it is.
And it certainly needs to be offensive line bare minimum, right,
and they do that moving forward, and I don't think

(18:12):
there's any doubt that Joe Burrow is going to attack.
We haven't come back, but we we've seen other quarterbacks
come back and have you know, successful careers. And the
one I can think of most recently, I think is
DeShawn Watson. What he was able to do it. He's
kind of in a similar situation where he says to
carry Houston. Well, well, the Bengals they need to do
their part, so said Joe Brow doesn't have to carry

(18:33):
them all the time. One of the big stories in
the NFL today the injury to Joe Burrow. We're talking
with James Rapine. He covers the Bengals for the s
I Locked on Bengals podcast. So you mentioned listen, I'm
a draft work, so I'm really going like nine hundred
miles an hour forward here. But with the Jets and
the Jaguars kind of sitting at one and two and

(18:55):
maybe Washington and Dallas around there, I mean, Cincinnati is
the only that's going to probably look offensive line and
not quarterbacks. So I mean, is there a chance he
could end up with a guy like Pinney Sewell who
could be that left tackle forever and his william is
going to be the fit in there too on that
offensive line to protect Burrow. I think so. I think
that's exactly who you look at, and they believe in

(19:17):
in Gonah Williams. He's a guy. He's been their most
consistent offensive lineman this year outside of a couple of
games that he miss due to injury. So if you
can get Sewel on the other side, then you feel
pretty good about the two tackle positions. And then they're
gonna have to do something they haven't done as an organization.
They're gonna have to spend at the guard spot. You know,
you're gonna have to go out and that that could

(19:38):
mean spending by investing high picks at guard or spending
go get a free agent. And I think that that's
um it's a priority because they have to find a
way now to do it. Because guys, if you've watched
the Bengals, if anybody's watched the Bengals, it's been really
quick passing Joe Burrow. He was out in there on
the second drive of the third quarter through thirty two passes.

(19:58):
Today a thirty two or thirty four. Either way, he
was on pace for like sixty passes, so it's a
lot of passes. They couldn't run the ball effectively, and
even in a game like today where they did, they
were still relying on borrow a ton. So that's if
you're going to do that and play that way, well,
then guess what, you got to have an offensive line.
So I think School is certainly a gott. They'll look

(20:19):
at oh, well wait a minute here that Well, if
he's gonna talk and ask you a draft question, I
have to ask you one. What happens if since that
he goes to number two, has the number two pick,
because Jackson will passes him somehow, and they're offered a
boatload of of of pigs for that, everybody's gonna want fields.
They'll just say here, give us, come on, give it,
give me more and more more, and then they'll just

(20:39):
drop down and and take like five six picks from somebody. Sure,
I think I think you gotta entertain that as well.
I don't think it's a note rainer one way or
the other. I very much of the mindset to listen
to any who offers always, because you never know what
you're gonna get. Offered, and you're right, there will be
a team or two that is desperate. I will say

(21:00):
that they do have the tiebreaker over Jacksonville. They won
the head to head earlier this year, I think in
Week four, So that tie Jacksonville is gonna have to
rally here over the final six to overtake the Bengal.
That's too bad. I like the way you laid that out.
They got the time I listened James, the final thought

(21:20):
before I let you get out of here. And I
appreciate you seeing a play with us, but you've seen
every team now in the a f C North, I mean,
what a wild story. With the great start for Pittsburgh,
it's not even great start. Now we're ten games in
for them and they're tend to know. But that's crazy
to try to figure out what's going on with Baltimore
and just how good Cleveland might be. How do you
see that division and in the playoff race shaping up

(21:41):
with the two teams that are battling for a spot
in the a f C North right now, it's a
tough division, There's no doubt. I think a lot of
people are waiting on Pittsburgh's almost come back to Earth.
But but they have the right coach and I think
the right defense where you can keep waiting and they're
just gonna keep winning. So I think they're really good.
And I was shocked at how good those wide receivers are.

(22:03):
I think that's the the surprise, maybe one of the
biggest surprises of the league, because Deante Johnson you had
heard of him, and Judice Smith Schuster obviously he's had
some success. But those two guys playing really well, and
then Chase Claypool makes them a really, really dangerous team.
And then yeah, I'm shocked at how bad the Ravens
have been. I really am. I think they're one of
the most talented rosters in the league, and they they're

(22:25):
just not the same team and not the team I expected.
That being said, I'm not gonna say that they're not
going to make the playoffs. I expect them to to
make a push here and make the playoffs. By the
way they play in the Bengals in Week sevent team
so if they need to u get a win in
their inn type of scenario, I like their chances. And
then as as far as Cleveland goes, Kevince Fancy has
done a great job I was in Cleveland for a
lot of the Freddy Kitchens era, and that was that

(22:47):
was rough, to say the least. And I think that
the fact that you're able to uh see an adult
go in there and win and win the way I
think that team should win, which is Nick Chupp Kareem Hunt. Uh.
They don't have a lot of defense, they're outside of
Miles Garrett, but I certainly think they could get the
nine or ten ones as well. I want be shocked
if those three teams all make the playoffs in the FC.
I don't think I would disagree with you right now, James,

(23:09):
thanks for the time, buddy. We appreciated great work as always,
Thanks James, sounds good. Thanks for having me, guys as
James Rapine, Bengals reporter and s I, host of the
Locked On Bengals podcast. All right, well, I'm gonna take
the rest of the show off. Yeah, what's wrong? You
bummed out? Okay, I'm gonna go drink. Apparently, apparently, Nick
Quickkowski and Jonathan Abron decided to double team a patch

(23:32):
of grass at the fifteen yard line and leave Travis
Kelsey wide open in the end zone. That was great.
Steven Saker is here and the guy go Fox Sports
Radio studios to get us caught up. And also it's
a final in Vegas tonight for the Chiefs. But Mahomes
didn't throw to the patch of grass, Diddy, so it
almost worked correct. Chiefs thirty five thirty one, winning at

(23:54):
Las Vegas tonight after what turned out to be a
very much seesaw fourth quarter. The Raiders had just retail
an the lead with under two minutes to go, and
then the Chiefs go seven plays, seventy five yards and
only a minute fifteen. Mahomes twenty two yard touchdown pass
to Travis Kelsey is the game winner. You mentioned the
first downs earlier. The Chiefs wound up with seventy three
plays and thirty six first downs. Literally almost half of

(24:18):
their plays resulted in first downs in this game tonight.
That's astound. Only nine drives and they had thirty six
first downs and thirty five points could have been more.
Remember they had the at the goal line right before
halftime the interception, and it looks like that it was
looking like that was going to cost them because they
were down three there in the final minute of the game.

(24:40):
But no, Mahomes pulls it out and the Chiefs are
now nine and one. The one lost. The Chiefs had
lost at home to the Raiders last month, and that
was a forty to thirty two final. So next Sunday,
Kansas City will be at Tampa Bay. The Bucks first
half to play Tomorrow night at home against the Rams.
Indianapolis is seven and three at one in overtime against
Green Bay one. The Packers fumbled on the first possession

(25:03):
of ot Next Sunday, Tennessee seven and three at Indie.
Tennessee one in overtime at Baltimore thirty to twenty four,
Derrick Henry the game winning touchdown run of twenty nine yards.
Denver and the Chargers each one Pittsburgh's ten and oh
now Dallas came back to win thirty one eight at Minnesota.
Kirk Cousins had three touchdown passes, but the Cowboys one

(25:23):
on a TV with under two minutes ago, Andy Dalton's
third touchdown pass. Cleveland is seven and three after edging
Philadelphia seventeen. The Eagles are three six and one and
still first place in the NFC East, and Philadelphia says
Carson Wentz is still the starting quarterback there. Next up
for them on the schedule, Seattle at Philadelphia in a

(25:44):
Monday night or just over a week away. New Orleans
and Houston each one. Carolina as well. Washington beat Cincinnati
nine yes, rookie quarterback Joe Burrow out for the year
with the torn a c L His plant leg was
hit just after he threw, and then Ryan Finley came
on and was sacked four times. College football, Washington States

(26:05):
U has turned down a chance to play two and
OH Washington this coming weekend. B y U at nine
and OH first wanted to see its college football playoff
ranking come out on Tuesday night, according to our Bruce Feldman. Also,
Fresno States Friday game against San Dieger State has already
been canceled. Alabama is the unanimous number one in the
new AP College Football poll, and finally, more NBA news tonight,

(26:28):
the Lakers signed Marc Gasol and traded center JaVale McGee
to Cleveland. Toronto gets free agent center Aaron Baines and
to max contract extensions four years plus an option year.
The Celtics with Jayson Tatum and Utah in keeping Donovan
Mitchell back to you Hey, thanks to Seger. We come
to you live from the getic Fox Sports Radio studios.
It's easy to say or more on car insurance with Geico,

(26:50):
go to Geico dot com or call seven Otto. The
only hard part figuring out which way is easier. Coming
up next hour and in the final hour of the show,
we're gonna talk to you, buddy, Matt, tell me again,
what are we gonna Well, he's a big Kansas City
chief fanner. Obviously we'll be talking about that game from
here on out for the rest of the night. I

(27:10):
assume I thought we were going to talk about the
greatness of Tuah the rest of thissue. Look at you
taking shots. I'm trying to be nice to you, and
look we're trying, but I'm just not very good at it.
You're horrible at it. I honestly think that Arnie sends
us Christmas gifts so he can talk s the rest
of the year and then be able to up. That's

(27:34):
good for a whole year talking smack. What's wrong with you? Uh?
There's a lot of really good things to get to though.
From week eleven of the National Football League, and I
want to go back to something we were talking with
James Rapine about and that's Baltimore. So if we continue
with our theme of things we learned in week eleven
or maybe more specifically after week eleven, I know this.

(27:56):
I can honestly say, I don't know what's going on
in Baltimore right now. I don't know if this is
just a little phase they're going through and they're gonna
turn it around and be fine. I don't know if
we start reading into whether or not there was you know,
too much that's given away with their offensive scheme. I mean,
I I just don't know, ARENI, because usually they've been
able to make up forward with a nasty defense, and

(28:18):
that hasn't even been there for him. And listen, that
was a great game today with the Tennessee Titans, right
it was a fun game. You had a free game
scrap before. I just don't know what to make of
this team right now. You don't know what to make
of the team. You know exactly what to make of
the team. You just don't want to say it. Um,
you don't want to say that Lamar Jackson is not
a great quarterback like your thought he was based on

(28:38):
what he did last year and then he got bounced
out of the playoffs and now he's following up that
year with a sub par year. Um, the guy's out
an m VP candidate. The guy is a good quarterback.
That is it. And maybe we put him too high
on a pedestal. That's why the Ravens have taken a
step backwards. Well, he did win the m v P
last year, so you can say he not an m

(29:00):
VP candidate this year, but already the trophy is not
getting taken away from him from last year. So no, no, no, no, okay,
let me rephrase it. Maybe I didn't say it right.
He's Lamar Jackson this year to Lamar Jackson last year.
Is two different quarterbacks. Okay, Um, not even close. I
we may never see that Lamar Jackson that we saw

(29:20):
last year. Um, he's not a m VP candidate this year,
and I don't know if he ever will be again.
I don't know if he'll ever go back um to
that year that he had last year. And I think
people a starting to figure him out. I heard something interesting,
you know, John Middlecoff. We usually get a chance to
talk with him on the show, but about every other
week or so. Three Out Podcast really good football listen

(29:40):
and he brought up something about Greg Roman that that
caught my anna and are Andy. Usually you couldn't care
less about offensive coordinators, but he said, remember that was
the scheme with Kaepernick in the Niners with Jim Harbaugh.
And after a couple of seasons, and don't get me wrong,
they were great seasons. There was an NFC Championship to
NFC Championships, there, there was a Super Bowl trip. But

(30:02):
then they kind of started hitting the skids and people
started figuring things out and they were slowing it down.
And I know that when we talk about cap no
one wants to bring that out. I mean, that's fine.
I mean, I'm not here to talk about that conversation
right now, but I mean, listen, people figure out his offenses.
It takes him a while, and they have a lot
of success, and maybe Greg Roman becomes predictable and I
don't know, because you can't just shift it. You have

(30:25):
to have a special offense that's geared towards his skill set. Right.
Isn't it funny that they figure out the offense when
they take a lead, because when this guy is down,
when Lamar Jackson's down at half time, um, he has
like one win he's like one in six or something
like that. The guy can't mount to come back. So, um,
you know what are you gonna say to that, Oh
they figured out the offense. Well, sure they figured it out.

(30:47):
That's why they're ahead and half time for crying out loud,
he has to make some comebacks, he has to make
some adjustments. I don't think he's making too much adjustments
when he can't mount a comeback in six or seven games. Yeah,
that's it's disappointing, I think more than anything else. And
you're looking at it. If the Ravens are in the
NFC right now, we're just saying, no, they'll struggle, they'll
be okay when they get to the playoffs. But the

(31:09):
NFC it's a beast. I mean, you're looking at a
conference to where, gosh, what do we talked about? Ten
and six might have you on the outside looking in
right now. Ravens are not in the playoffs right now. No, no,
they're not. And listen, I I know that I'm a
Raiders guy, but at six and four you might kind
of laugh if you look at the Raider schedule this

(31:30):
year and a couple of they're bad losses, but that's
a team that played without one of its better defensive players,
two of them, to be honest with you, and we're
able to hang tight with the Chiefs. You think they're
going anywhere, You think suddenly now India or Tennessee is
gonna fall off the map. Cleveland has played in atrocious
weather the last few weeks, and all they've done is
went back to back games. And listen, I'm not here

(31:51):
to tell you that two is the next great thing,
but I don't think he's as bad as we saw today.
They're a week removed from beating Arizona. So my my
point that I'm making Arnie taking me a long time
to get there. But no one's gonna fall down in
front of you like you might have happened in the NFC.
I mean you're sitting maybe if you're in that six
or seven seed, you're six and three, six and four,

(32:12):
But I mean you could easily fall apart and have
a five and five team slide into the playoffs. That's
not happening in the In the a f C, Chris
one game separates in the a f C team three
to team nine. Um, that means you could either be
a three seed or you could be one of two
teams not even making the playoffs based on one game deferential.

(32:32):
I've never seen was a two four seven teams separated
by one game before. That's that's absolutely amazing. Yeah, and
you know, it's it's kind of wild because two of
those teams playing the same division, right, you have Indian
Tennessee or in the same division. Meanwhile, Oh my gosh, yeah,
you got Baltimore there. I I guess, excuse me, Buffalo there.

(32:52):
I guess I kind of looked past them being seven
and three after what happened to them last week with
a Hail Mary. So it's Murray Murray. Oh, I'm sorry,
that's right, hail from here on. I guess, I guess.
I'm I'm so impressed with the play top to bottom
in the a f C right now. I think it's
been fun to follow it that there's really good teams
in the NFC. I'm not and I'm not trying to

(33:12):
be that guy that says, oh, when they get to
the playoffs, it's gonna be all a f C. It's
just fascinating to see how this thing has played out.
I mean, Indie beats the number one seed in the
NFC heading into today. Uh and yeah, it was a
miraculous comeback by Green Bay to put themselves in that position.
Late and Indy really blew a couple of chances to

(33:34):
blow that thing open. But you're looking at a team
that's sitting right now with the cold. Says he, what
four seed in the a f C that that beat
the one seed in the NFC heading, I believe the
first five seeds Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Buffalo, Colts, and Titans
could all represent the a f C in the Super Bowl. Sure,
maybe somebody else like a Cleveland of the Raiders or
Baltimore Dolphins, but um, realistically, I think those first five

(33:56):
have a legitimate shot at finding themselves in the Super Bowl. Yeah,
I agree with you. I can't believe this is not
a fun sports talk segment. We're supposed to argue when yelling,
scream at each other. Well, trying to be nice too,
because your Raiders lost. I know you're very crabby today.
All right, I'll be crabby for the next hour. And
that's all it takes you. That's all it takes you

(34:17):
to get over a bad loss like that, on to Atlanta,
onto Atlanta. It kills me because then I have to
watch all the replays on the on all the highlights,
and it's just it's like a knife twisting in me
and it takes me like until the next game. But see,
the good news is for me, aren'tie. I have a
college football team that I can turn to the winning

(34:38):
games and you have Oh who is that you change
your t ari zone at? Did you watch last night
or were you too busy lamenting what Washington did? I
just looked at the points that we scored. I didn't
watch Washington. Did they score more? If you watched the
points that you guys scored, you didn't watch much at all.
We had seven, I think in the fourth quarter. When

(34:59):
we come back to the go Fox Sports Radio Studios,
let's hit your tweets. An incredible day in the NFL
and tomorrow why I'm sorry. Later this week we're gonna
have our first four team playoff rankings. And there's one
really interesting debate that's currently taking place as we count
down to the four team playoff question mark in college football.

(35:19):
It's already in Plank on a football Sunday radio on
Fox Sports Radio. Okay, I'm over in Artie, really get
out here absolutely tonight one yeah, no, no fan at
all from somebody changed his mind a thousand times on things. Wow,

(35:41):
I I am, I'll wear this one. That was a
hell of a drive by Patrick Mahomes. They're the words
world champs for a reason. But think about this. The
Chiefs now over the last calendar year are eighteen and
one if you include the playoffs, eighteen and one. That's
tied for the fifth best record by any team over

(36:02):
a one year span since the NFL moved to a
sixteen game schedule in nineteen seventy eight. The current record
by the Chiefs is the best by any team since
the Packers went twenty and one from January of two
thousand and eleven to January of two thousand twelve. Holy bleep, Arnie,

(36:23):
that's an incredible run right now by Kansas City. I
was trying to thick Dophins. What four oh won the
three playoff games seventeen and oh m hmm and then
they must have lost the following year. Well it's what
what year was that? Because this is okay, well this
was see you never listened to me over a one
year span since the NFL moved to a sixteen game

(36:45):
schedule and seventy eight, So I was off six years.
Big deal. Look how crabby our Vision Raiders lost? What
are you talking? The more I think about it, the
more I kind of get excited about how teams respond,
because this isn't college football. College football, you lose one
game or yeah, you don't play well for a half
and you're done. NFL you can lose a few games
and bounce back. Now, speaking of bouncing back, I did

(37:08):
have to bring this up because I was gonna bring
up the NFC East and I know that might have
people running away from their radios. But is there another
direction you want to go here, stinking genius? No, No,
you just you said something about college. We'll get to
college later on. I'm doing about face on something I
said last night already. Yeah, what was on b YU
because I was making a case for b YU to

(37:30):
maybe get into the playoffs? Play Cincinnati and winner gets in.
But after I hear them cower out and won't play Washington,
I I don't they don't deserve a spot. Now is
forget about you guys now again, I think that there
is a little bit more to that story. I'm not
defending what I heard, No, I'm just saying there's a

(37:50):
lot of I think what happened is the first report
came out and the initial response was, oh, you're scared
to play, You're waiting for your radio? Like that report better?
I like that one. I know that's that's like it
bleeds it lead. But there might be more too. We'll
get into that coming up next hour. But let me
let me point this out to you. Is it. I

(38:10):
know that you're gonna give me one of those. Yeah,
obviously I've been saying this for a while, but today
it was so bad. I even texted you and and
I try not we try not to bother each other
until we get closer to showtime. But I'm sitting and
I'm watching the Red Zone and I like watching Baker play,
so I I flipped it over to watch some of
the Browns, and I'm catching some shrapnel from what is

(38:33):
going on with Carson Wentz. This he this ain't it man?
And I don't know what's happened there. And I don't
know if this is a dude that has been deemed
up too many times and it's in his head. I
don't know if you if not having a security blanket
like Nick Foles, there has hurt him. You have his
coach coming out and saying I can't can't bench your starter.

(38:57):
It sends the wrong message because I I look these
playoffs standings and they're still in the playoffs. They're they're
the fourth seat right now, they're gonna have a home
playoff game. But Arnie, this is this is a hard
watch with Carson Wentz right now. He is just he's
struggling big time. If you know, it's amazing if the
Dolphins could bench two uh after three games, three and

(39:20):
a half games, I don't see why the Eagles could
not bench Carson Wentz. Are separated by a half game.
The whole division is separated by a half a game,
which is amazing. I've I don't think I've ever seen that. Um,
you know, ten weeks or eleven weeks into the football season.
But back to Carson Wentz. Look, I know there's injuries
offensive line, this that, the other. I don't want to
hear it anymore. Everybody has injuries. You know, the Raiders

(39:43):
almost came in with half their defense with COVID until
they got reinstated. Um, you know, people are gonna go
ahead and they have to deal with stuff like that.
And um, you know, if you got to get rid
of the quarterback in the in the coach, so be it,
then that's what you gotta do for next year. It
is shocking. I mean, and I will lie to you, Arnie,
because I'm a big believer in Carson Wentz. Heading into

(40:04):
this year. I thought, Oh, he just needs time, he
needs to get healthy, and it's going to get worse
before it gets better. They play Seattle next week, then
they go to Green Bay, Arnie, then they play the
New Orleans Saints. That's so for three, they're not gonna
win the division. That that's a five game losing skid
that you're gonna be in the midst of. Oh and
by the way, do you know what your next game is?

(40:25):
After that? You're going to Arizona to play the Cardinals,
who g men are winning the division. Look Out, Arnie's
giants are going to the playoffs. But Eagle fan, help
me out here. I mean, what's going on? And I'm
not saying Jalen Hurts is the answer, but sure surely
Carson Wentz is not all right. When we come back
to the Getico Fox Sports Radio Studios, your tweets next
with Arnie and blank our two Todd Firm and coming

(40:47):
up next from the getic Fox Sports Radio Studios. Fifteen
minutes could save you fifteen percent or more on car insurance.
Visit guy dot com for a free rate quote. Got
so much still to get to, man, and I can't
believe you're over it already. That's your team loss. Man
can take dumping if you if your girlfriend dumped you,
you didn't take long to get over that. I suppose. Well,

(41:08):
if she dumb me but said that she was gonna,
I don't know, get naked for me next week, I
think I'd be fine. I mean, I can't think of
any other more humane way to put it. Sorry, but
I get to watch this team play again next Sunday,
so I'll be fine with it. By that point, we
got a little Carson Wentz battle going on on Twitter.
You want to you want to get into it? Or
do you wanna just move on? It's up to you.

(41:31):
It's pretty that's fine. Yeah, there's a lot of people
commented and final let's go at it. Okay. So this
is from Bubba. I like Bubba a lot, he writes,
die hard Eagles fan here wins is in his head
too much. They need to bench hip for a game
or two. It was done to Cunningham and McNabb and
they came back on fire one way or the other.
You're losing the next two games, so give it a shot.

(41:53):
I don't mind that idea. I think sometimes listen, I'm
everything to me reverts back to something that happen and
with the Raiders are the Oklahoma Sooners. But Arnie, I
think it worked out okay. When Lincoln Riley benched Spencer
Rattler in the first half of the Texas game. He's
been one of the best quarterbacks in the country since.
Sometimes it's just getting away from it, seeing it, thinking

(42:14):
I might have forced that all time. I mean, for me,
it sucks whenever I, you know, have to listen to
another show that I'm typically on or I'm on vacation,
or I can't make it in and when I listen
to it, I think about a much different world. I'm
not trying to compare myself to a quarterback. I'm just
saying sometimes time away can be good. And maybe that's
what Carson Wentz needs right now because it's not all

(42:34):
his fault. That roster kind of stinks right now. Well,
I'm not sure what you're trying to get out of him.
He's never going to be the quarterback that you think
he's gonna be. He's never gonna be a quarterback that's
gonna take it to the super Bowl, Nick Fulls, when
you're that super Bowl. Um, I would just keep him
in there at this point and just say, you know what,
finish out the year, and we're gonna move on from you. Afterwards.
We gotta find the place to ship you out or

(42:56):
somebody else to take you, or I mean, I'm just
looking on my Twitter now. Patriot fans are like, let's
talk about the Shan want to come into the to
the Patriots. Patriots are gonna be looking for a quarterback.
A lot of teams gonna be looking for a quarterback
if they're not necessarily always going to be in the draft.
You gotta move on from this guy, tight. Just just
move on. Um, let him finish out the year. If

(43:16):
you can win the division, so be it. If you can,
then you just say, look, we gave you a plenty opportunity. Goodbye,
Send us a postcard for wherever you land. Well, James,
who is probably the closest thing to a real Twitter
person that we have because he has let's see, three, six,
eight numbers behind his name, and anytime you have eight

(43:36):
numbers behind your name, you're legit, right. But he writes,
you said you watched some of the Browns game, But
did you? But just talk about wins his struggles. Did
you watch him getting hit or sacked on almost every play?
No quarterback in the NFL has been hit or sacked
more than him all season long. He's not playing bad.
It's not all his fault. I mean, it's never all

(43:57):
one guy's fault. But listen, not every sack is on
your offensive line. And that award went to somebody else.
The it's not all his fault award that went to
Daniel Jones, I thought, ready, So it's not all his fault.
About Joe Burrows got that award? I keep forgetting who
has that award? It gets passed around from week to week.
It's never all one guy's fault. But go play left guard.

(44:20):
If you don't want that responsibility of getting a fingerpoint
at you whenever things aren't going well, go be the
third string tight end when you're in thirteen personnel or something. Man,
if you don't want the finger pointed at you, they
don't play quarterback, and that's what's gonna happen. It happens everywhere.
Do you think Arnie wants to argue about the center?
Damn already they gotta make a change from Kelsey. What's

(44:40):
going on there? No, he'd laughed, he'd fired me before
we even got that far. It's about quarterback. It's about
quarterback play. And even though I think you would agree
with me, stinking genius, you want to replace about half
the quarterbacks in the NFL right now with the drafts pick.
But still, that's what it comes down to. You have
to be good at the most important issue. If you

(45:00):
have to take one Sam Donald and Carson Wentz ro
Mitch Trubisky, I'd resign if I said, you know, I
gotta tell you something good. You know, there's some positives.
I think you can win with a Sam Donald. I
think in the right situation, maybe you can win with
the Carson Wentz, though you've got to be the perfect situation.

(45:23):
And I'm not so sure you can win with anything
with your whisky. I guess I Will's about starts. I
think if there's one thing that I've learned in watching
the gosh, let's see, are we on like a twenty
year rebuild with the Raiders right now. But if there's
one thing from being someone who watches every snap of
every game, of every minute that they play, is you

(45:44):
have I'm not necessarily saying that it's all on the quarterback,
but you've got to have a confident quarterback. You've got
to have a really good offensive line, and you have
to have a running game. And if I know those
are and wants to say, well, yeah, every team wants that,
well yeah, and not every team has it, and guess
where they are. They suck. So I guess my point,

(46:07):
more than anything else, is you're right, dude, it's not
all on Carson Wentz. But I mean, do you want
to debate the right guard. That's not what you can't
And you can't fire everybody else that keep the quarterback, um,
just like you can't fire the team and keep the coach.
That's that's why you have to move on. Heck that
the Cowboys may have to move on without Dyk Prescott,
and look at the type of year that he was

(46:29):
having before he got hurt. You know it's gonna be
very interesting. Boy. You want to you want to really
go down a rabbit hole and the Cowboys did win today.
We'll hit some of the highlights whenever we uh final
hour and hit the locker room and play some of
the great calls of the day. But if you're Jerry
Jones and there's no moves to be made, right, I
mean you you have what you have for fascet trade deadline.

(46:51):
He's not gonna magically become someone available in free agency
unless you want to go get Earl Thomas or Tony Jefferson,
who're not playing right now. But I just do you
start kind of thinking, all right, Team Tank's not gonna happen,
because my gosh, the Jets I have this thing down
to an art and the Jaguars are a close second
right now. To make sure one of them gets Trevor

(47:12):
Lawrence and and Justin Fields, do you maybe reset your
focus to say, hey, we can make the playoffs here.
It might not be going anywhere, but I mean this
NFC East thing Arn'tie is wide open right now. They
look pretty good today. Are you think? No, if you're jury,
You're just like, get us in the playoffs and we
could make a run even without that. Andy Dalton can
do it. He's feeling good. He's a good quarterback. Zeke

(47:33):
had his first hundred yard game all season long. We've
got the receivers, the defense is playing better. Yeah, he's delusional.
He can talk himself in to that. He's the owner.
I can see him doing something like that. But I
don't know if we mentioned this that we come to
you live from the guy kill Fox Sports radio studios
where fifteen minutes could save you fifteen percent or more
in car insurance. Busy guy who dot com for a

(47:53):
free rate quote. I guess you might say, well, no
doubt playing. They want to make the playoffs. But I
feel like a couple of weeks ago, aren't here. A
big conversation was should they just tank? Which kids seemed
to be the conversation for about five or six teams.
But how many funny to get it done? In the
NFC East, you can do both when the division and tank.
So you can get away with doing both in that division.

(48:18):
I like it. Uh Reek writes, last night, aren't he
you were talking about the breeze hit and penalty. What
about the helmet helmet hit on Cousins that wasn't called
today that ended up in a fumble and a cowboy touchdown.
To me, it just seems like there's no consistency in
these penalties. It's also the way you know, sometimes you

(48:38):
don't get the right angle at it and I don't
know what am I gonna say. Sometimes they slide too long,
too early. Cam Newton, somebody almost took his head off,
Um because he slid a little bit too late. They
didn't make any contact, but man, if they done it,
they would have just destroyed him. So I don't know
if there isn't any consistency. We we tried to do

(48:59):
with the best weekn but um, get down, get down early.
That's what I gotta tell you. You know, there's so
many things that there's just no consistency in in football
right now. There's no consistency and truly knowing what it
catch is still to this day and we're not being
smart Alex. That's the truth. There's no consistency and what's
considered you know, a personal foul and they're sure a

(49:19):
seck is isn't any consistency and roughing the passer because
I was watching with the sound down the red zone
whenever Joey Bosa got hit for roughing the passer on
Joe Blackle. Did you see that? Did you the passer?
Did they call that on Bosa who was crawling and
just trying to grab him around his legs, because that

(49:39):
could have been the all time worst roughing the passer call, Arnie,
I think I've ever seen even if they got consistent that, Yeah,
they're consistent that they're bad, but they're consistent guy that
if you grab him around the ankles or the or
the feet because you got put to the ground, um,
that you can't hit him. Oh when they have the

(50:00):
ball like that, they're there. They've been pretty consistent in
that call. I believe. Okay, So again, I think there's
a difference between hitting a guy low and then grabbing
him around his legs to sack. I don't disagree with
you that, hey, you can't go down there with bad intentions,
but legit, it was almost as if he just grabbed
his legs to bring him down. Uh, you know what,

(50:22):
I gotta be honest with you, authentic. Allen might be
the most intriguing Twitter follower to this show because I
don't know if he likes anything. I mean, honestly, Alan,
I'll scroll your timeline like, dude, does this guy like anything?
Or anyone, because it's all just a little ball of hate,
and it's kind of like my there's there's a part
of me that thinks that you're Burner accounts sometimes Arnie,

(50:44):
but he writes, Arnie, I guess it doesn't matter if
you're in the pocket or out of the pocket, you
can still get hurt. Unfortunately, that's football. Sincerely, all athletic quarterbacks,
you and the media seem to worry about needlessly how
tag get well soon? JB. Well, what is his point

(51:05):
there that I'm saying that if you're in the in
the pockets you can't get hurt. I don't remember saying
that one in the point, but I think if if
I can translate that, yeah, please translate it for him.
You seem to be concerned with mobile quarterbacks always getting
hurt that scene. For instance, anytime we talk about Lamar Jackson,
I feel like you bring up the injury problem. I

(51:26):
don't care about him getting I don't care about him
getting hurt. My my point was that he wasn't the
same quarterback last year that he is this year. Don't
take a genius to figure that out. You know, everybody
says you need a mobile quarterback you need a running quarterback.
If that's true, then why wasn't Taysan Hill. Uh? You
know people take kid with open arms. Why don't they
think he was gonna be a good quarterback? Is mobile? Um,

(51:48):
he certainly could play the position. He could throw downfield.
Didn't have the best of arms, but he could throw
it downfield like he did a good job. Um, yeah,
you need a mobile quarterback. But Lamar Jackson is not
the same quarterback that he was last year. Yeah. I
just maybe I'm trying to read into it. I just
don't know, but I think generally and Lamar Jackson might
not be the best idea. I think you worry about
mobile quarterbacks get hurt. Could be wrong, But thanks for

(52:10):
the tweet out. I finally read you. And then then
Jason writes, you gotta get stinking Genius's take on to
a getting benched for his poor performance in sixty minutes.
The show really really really needs Arnie's reaction to Let
me tell you, if I was in high school, I

(52:30):
would have done the oh, I'm sorry, I'm not going
to the prom, and then ask somebody else, and I
would have gone with somebody else. But it's too late now.
I can't do anything about it because there's nobody else
to ask for the prom because Trevor's already going with
somebody else. So I, you know, I can't hang out
with him. I guess it's too or nobody, and I
really feel like going, so I I guess I gotta

(52:51):
go with too. There's no answer now, there's no other choice.
A couple of weeks ago, four or five weeks ago,
I thought there was a choice that maybe the Texans
would finish at the top one of the top two
picks and then get Trevor Howrens. Because the Dolphins have
that selection. I'm not gonna get lucky anymore, considering the
Texans just beat the Patriots, so it's gonna be over
for my Dad's gotta be tour or nothing. And let

(53:13):
me tell you something, when that when to at ninety
three yards, I almost got sick to my stomach over that,
you know, I was it was It was funny. I
was worried about you a little bit because I know
how you went ahead and called off for the Super
Bowl show last week because you were going to watch
your Dolphins playing Tampa. I said Shapiro and email saying
I won't be working the Super Bowl. Yeah, but now

(53:33):
did you did you call back in and say I'm
available if you need me? Is that he sent me
an email? He goes, are you sure about that? Now?
So you're sure about that? Oh? Yeah, pretty, I was
pretty sure about it. That's so much. Now, Hey, here's
a question. I hadn't even thought about this based off
the the benching today. Does he start again next week?

(53:54):
He is gonna start next week? I thought I thought
they said that he's still the starter. I must have
missed that somewhere. Then, I just I'm not Churchill double check.
I'll double check you on that. But yeah, oh and
h boy, how about this little tidbit of break by Fitzpatrick.
I was losing my marbles what are you trying to
do for us? And didn't like that for crying out loud. Well,

(54:15):
oh on the interception where you over it wasn't even close. No,
it wasn't. It wasn't. I could have made that an
interception justin Simmons, by the way, with the picked in
that game. You'll hear that in our highlights. Yeah, okay,
so they confirm they're gonna go back breaking news. They're
gonna go back to two and give him an opportunity
to start a game next week for your Dolphins. Which

(54:36):
is the right thing, though, is it? Because next week
you're going up against the Jets, aren't and they they've
been pretty then Cincinnati Dolphin's always gonna lose one more
game the rest of the year, and that that maybe
the Kansas City. So basically they're gonna string off six
straight wins to wrap this bad boy up. Finished twelve
and four on the season, three toughest games at the

(54:59):
Raiders at Flow in Kansas City. Um, we could take
two of those three. You know that the Broncos aren't
necessarily good, and you got beat by them today, so yeah,
I know every Look, you're not as good as your
last game. You're not as bad as your last game.
So they put together we should have beat them. I'm
sick over this. If we end up not making the playoffs,

(55:19):
it will be because of a game like this. By
the way, I know we gotta break Todd Ferman's coming up,
but I you almost pulled off the greatest prediction in
the history of mankind. Whenever that the Dolphins had one
in three would win six straight games. Unfortunately, aren't. They
only won five, let's end. But I still get credit
for it though, Sure, why not? You'll create yourself. Todd

(55:41):
Ferman joined us next the Darni and Plank on Fox
Sports Radio. We are joined right now by Todd Ferman
FS ONES, Fox Bet Live. Todd, what a finish in
the Raiders Chiefs game tonight? And let's see did that
end up with the Raiders cover? Was it seven and
a hook? Was a seven and a half? Yeah? The

(56:01):
Raiders got there without much sweat, to be quite honest, Chris,
I mean, the chief never led by anything more than
a touchdown in that particular game. So if you grab
the points with the Raiders, that was the definition of
rocking chair. Unfortunately, Money linebackers were not so fortunate, and
knows that it over tickets a little bigger sweat than
they anticipated with the high scoring start early on, because
if the Raiders don't ultimately take the lead with Kansas

(56:22):
City answering, the game could potentially fall and staying under
the closing number. Todd brookingna roll tape from last week.
This was from last week. Todd, you gotta take into
Yanna plus the twenty and a half. They're gonna keep
it closed. Todd one hot or one you were, and
you had an opportunity to grab them, plus thirty four

(56:44):
in game when they faced the thirty five seven defens
and it looked like Ohio State was poised to run
away and hide. But you have to give Tom Allen teammate,
ton of credit. They showed that they belonged on the
biggest stage with the big boys. Michael Pennocks answered the
bell at every turn. And I think it's also a
little bit alarming if you're an Ohio State fan thinking
at a team like Alabama, Glorida or Clemson could do
to you in a playoff unless you solidify that secondary,

(57:05):
which quite frankly won't get tested again until they play
in the big stage. Wow, that's unbelievable. I got him
and I was shocked, especially when it was thirty five
to what three and I shut it off for a
little bit. Next I almost exit on I'm like, you
still want twenty again? I gotta stop Old. There's no
way you probably were trying to fire the coach after

(57:25):
the first quarter, Tod. I still can't help, but just
almost like do the winning garth bow to you guys,
especially you because the challenges in college football right now,
day to day, week to week. I don't know how
you guys are able to figure out you know, who's
in and who's out. I don't know how you guys
are able to truly gauge how you think a team
is going to respond. I mean, look at Nebraska is

(57:46):
a great example. I mean they were double legit favorite
and I mean absolutely laid an egg what I feel like.
I ask you this a lot. But is the challenge
getting harder as as COVID numbers spy should get these presses.
I don't think it's getting easier by any stretch. But
it has had a layer of complexity to the betting
market that you normally don't have to go through. No.
November in and of itself can always be challenging because

(58:06):
you have a lot of teams that have already cashed
out for the season. They're not focused, and for teams
that aren't fighting for Bowl eligibility, they may show up
once against their bitter rival. And that's about the extent
of it. But yesterday we had the perfect illustration. You
had a Virginia Tech team that had lost two games
and heartbreaking fashion to Liberty in Miami and back to
back weeks, Pittsburgh had delve with some COVID cases. No
one was quite sure how they were going to be impacted.

(58:28):
It breaks about forty five minutes before kickoff, that pick
could be down eight starters. That number goes from three
out to seven and Pits a side that I personally
liked all week long, back off a little bit, number
closed at seven. Virginia Tech completely no shows and Pit
wins the game forty seven and fourteen. So trying to
get into the psychology of these eighteen one year old
is challenging under normal circumstances. Only gets to be more so,

(58:51):
uh in a year like this with so much uncertainty.
But the same could be said in the game in
your backyard, Chris, I'm not quite sure what happened in
the Oklahoma State locker room before the game, because it
looked like the ten minutes they were going through spring
practice spot at Oklahoma lead and the Cowboys obviously could
never recover. Arnie. I'll say this, and I know I'm
not jumping on you here, but Oklahoma was shot out
of a cannon, Todd. I've never seen them like that

(59:13):
to start a game, and I've done this on as
their sideline dude since two thousand and eleven. And I
don't know if they let a few more people in
on Saturday night. They typically do, but that felt, that
felt like a big time atmosphere, and you know it's
rare because you don't get that much this year. Yeah exactly.
I mean you look at some of the teams, and
I know Iowa State had plans to have a big

(59:35):
crowd in store at least thirty percent of Jack Tray
Stadium for Kansas State, ultimately, they had to try and
adjust on the fly, and we saw a Texas A
and M against Florida. You can't tell me that they
adhere to some of the occupancy protocols early in the season,
and that was a game that provided the springboard that
they needed. We look at Oklahoma and I think at
this point you'd be foolish to say, hey, look, they're
not on a crash course to meet Iowa State in

(59:56):
the conference championship, although when you look at the number
of the Cyclones could have the hands full going down
to Austin this weekends two point underdogs, but there's no
doubt Spencer Raller has taken the next steps. Lincoln Riley
had a perfect script on the opening drive, but it
looked like it took Oklahoma State a little bit of
time to adjust to that kind of environment where Oklahoma
not only offensively but also on the defensive side was
flying around. Meanwhile, in Evanston, Northwestern didn't need the fans

(01:00:20):
to impose their will physically against Wisconsin and make a
statement for a side that a lot of us thought
were pretenders more so than contenders, who now have an
inside track to meet Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship,
assuming everything remains status quo. I've never liked an own
five team more in my life than Penn State this
weekend against Michigan. I told you go against I tried
to warn you guys, Nobody listened to me before the

(01:00:42):
year on that you know this is a game, Arni.
It's funny because I actually fought with my podcast co
host for our bet the Board show that we'll do
for the holiday and try and preview some of the
marquee games. They said there was absolutely no way I
wanted to spend more than thirty seven seconds to talk
about Penn State in Michigan. And he comes in at
it from a different first active and thinks it's fascinating
for two blue blood programs to both be struggling the

(01:01:04):
way they are. Michigan, of course, finds a way to
win against Rutgers. Penn State owned five for the first
time in program history. But you have to think that
Penn State gets up for this game if they have
anything left in the tank. But so hard to figure
out what you're going to get from some of these
teams week to week. Uh And quite frankly, that's where
you have to try and be willing to pass on
a game rather than doing guests work and flipping coins

(01:01:24):
for a living. How challenging is that you trying to
figure out what's going wrong in Philadelphia right now as
we shift back to the NFL. I don't think I
have enough fingers on both hands, Chris to point them
in the direction of who has to take ownership for
everything that is unraveled there. Simply mind boggling in the
span of six days, essentially that you watch a quarterback
like Nick Foles struggle mightily and matten AIG's offense against

(01:01:48):
the Minnesota Vikings, and then you watch Doug Peterson who
can't develop the game plan for Carson Wentz to think
those two blind mice put together one of the best
Super Bowl and playoff runs to beat the New England
Patriots just a few short years ago. But Carson Wentz
has to bear a lot of this. I mean, his
decision making is poor. He had a couple of throws
there that you just can't make early in the game
when the outcome was very much hadn't been decided. And

(01:02:11):
if you drafted Jalen Hurts in the second round, when
is the time to put him in there and allow
him to kind of learn on the fly. Here it's
everybody's in a log jam with about three wins in
the NFC. Carson Wentz isn't gonna get you over the hump.
Maybe Hurts provides that spark. I'm just not sure Doug
Peterson wants to go in that direction, knowing that the
franchise spent north of a hundred million dollars on once
is their guy Todd? Any chance people gonna jump on,

(01:02:32):
let's say, like the Colts or Titans or Brown somebody
of the lower part of the a f C to
maybe make a run and go to the Super Bowl.
I get some decent odds out there I'm assuming, and
maybe you'll get an extra team in the playoffs if
they take eight. Well, I think the Browns and Titans
are gonna need the perfect storm for them to ultimately
get over the hump. Now. The Brown's offense has been
a little bit suppressed in recent weeks because it seems

(01:02:55):
every time you flip a game on and watch in Cleveland,
there's seventy waitings or thirty seven inches of rain uh
that are coming down. The Titans, with a tremendous performance today,
are raising a double digit deficit to beat the Ravens again.
The Colts, however, intriguing because they can beat you a
variety of ways. As we saw they got out to
a hole at halftime, their defense gets enough stop Philip

(01:03:18):
Rivers makes plays, and they impose their will physically with
the ground game. The problem, if you're going to buy
into the Colts now, the time to get them was
two weeks ago before they beat the Titans on Thursday night,
before they come back against Green Bay. Because they've clearly
asserted themselves as the third best team in the a
f C, behind the Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Good
stuff Man Todd can't wait to hear the new episode
of the Bet the Board podcast holiday weekend and watch

(01:03:39):
on Fox bet Live. Man, have a good week. We
will do what we can to make sure we shoehorn
Oklahoma and West Virginia and hopefully your sooners don't have
a little bit of a letdown. But I'm gonna forecast
a defensive struggle between those two teams. That's a stingy
defensive line. And Neil Brown's built Morgantown. He really is.
Two NFL guys in the Stills brothers. They're awesome. Thanks
title talk together next week, buddy, big guys have a

(01:04:00):
great holiday to How about that? How six thirty kicks
seven thirty Eastern next Saturday, which means I'll get home
sometime like Monday. All right, Hey, when we come back
to the guy called Fox Sports Radio Studios and the
tweets have been really good tonight, and speaking of the
limits to try to figure out, how about a team
that didn't play today? What's going on with the Bears?
We'll discuss next, but first Steve de Seger come strolling

(01:04:22):
into the guy called Fox Sports Radio Studios. What's up, Steve?
What's going on with the Bears? The quarterback position is
settled as always exactly. We'll get into details on the
Chiefs win tonight, but quickly on the NBA stuff is
it's still coming in. Night after night. The Lakers signed
Marcus Soul to a two year deal and trade JaVale
McGhee to Cleveland. The Celtics gave Jayson Tatum a MAX extension,

(01:04:45):
Utah gave Donovan Mitchell a MAX extension. In fact, Bobby Marx,
who's the insider front office guy on ESPN, says we're
already up to eight nine percent of roster spots filled
in the NBA, and most second round picks still have
not signed a contract. Here to the end to the
NFL game tonight, it was Kansas City going to nine
and one on the season, winning a seesaw game at

(01:05:06):
Las Vegas thirty five thirty one. So it wound up
essentially five touchdowns to four for the visitors. So one
of the keys to the game for the Chiefs is
that remember late first half, the Raiders had third and
goal at the one and couldn't punch it in, settled
for the field goal and lost by four. In a
game that early and late for long stretches was back

(01:05:27):
and forth. I won't say with no defense, but the
offense is obviously dominated. I recall a single sack in
the game either tonight. Zero. Yeah, and there were no
turnovers actually until you know the late interception from car
that sealed it. But the first four drives of this
game tonight were four total touchdowns. It was fourteen at all.
And then the next drive was when the Raiders settled

(01:05:48):
for the field goal. But then remember second half, they
went back and forth, including that drive to open the
second half where the Chiefs went sixteen plays ninety three
yards over eight and a half min it's to open
the second half and take the lead. It was back
and forth after that. Kansas City wins again nine and one,
the record the one loss when the Chiefs lost at
home last month to the Raiders Indianapolis in overtime beat

(01:06:11):
Green Bay thirty one. Dallas scored late to win at
Minnesota thirty one twenty eight, Chargers and Broncos each one.
Pittsburgh's up to tenan oh Tennessee with the overtime win
at Baltimore, Cleveland edge Philadelphia seventeen. So Cleveland is seven
and three. New Orleans has the best record in the
NFC eight and two. They won seven straight games. The

(01:06:31):
Saints pounded Atlanta to seven. You did not want to
be Matt Ryan today. He was sacked eight times, three
by Cam Jordan's Todd Gurley. He is on Atlanta, by
the way, for those who are unaware of it. He
had eight carries twenty six yards and one reception. Houston
beat New England twenty seven to twenty. The Pat's fear
that running back Rex burke Head has a torn a

(01:06:53):
c L, and we do know that rookie quarterback of
the Bengals Joe Burrow is out for the year with
a torn a c L. Sincinn he lost twenty to
nine at Washington, and Carolina shut out Detroit twenty to nothing.
P J. Walker got the start at quarterback, one touchdown,
two interceptions. Teddy Bridgewater sat with his knee injury. D J.
Moore seven catches a hundred twenty seven yards, Joey Sly

(01:07:14):
from long distance again a fifty six yard field goal
that he made, but Detroit in getting shut out. The
Lions had eleven drives, ten first downs, and the Lions
as a team seventeen carries, just forty yards rushing and
they'll get to host another Thanksgiving game this week we
all have to watch, ever, and it's against the Texans.

(01:07:35):
On top of that, so Okay and Washington States game
against Washington was postponed. Number eight b y U, according
to our Bruce Feldman turned down a chance to play
two in oh Washington this coming weekend. Auburn men's basketball
self imposed a postseason ban as part of that bribery investigation.
Remember ex assistant Chuck person sentence that was two years probation.

(01:07:56):
This is still all related to that in the past.
Back to you, thanks to say where we come to
you live from the Geico Fox Sports radio studios. It's
easy to say fift cent or more on car insurance
with Geico, go to Geico dot com or call eight
nine seven Auto. The only hard part is figuring out
which way is easier. Yeah, I, you're going back to

(01:08:16):
what you were talking about with Todd. How you think
would be easier to handicap games. I think it's harder.
I really do, because, Hey, you don't know who's playing
or who's not playing until game day, and then b
because it's college you don't have to tell you. And
then b Arnie, you don't know if Guy's tapped out
on the season or hell, world teams have followed protocols.
I think this has been one of the hardest college

(01:08:37):
football seasons to try to figure out outside of Alabama's
good and Clemson's good, you know in Ohio states. I
don't have the stats in front of me, but I think, um,
coming into this year, I think it was uh um,
road teams wanted like a clip or something to that effect,
and now because there's no fans of games, I thought

(01:08:59):
they were up a fort and usually the road teams
are the underdog anyway, so I think the road teams
and the dogs were the way to go this year.
I don't have all the numbers in front of me,
but um, I bet you it's not as hard as
it was in yours path. I do think it was easier.
So you're saying it's easier to figure out the college football,
college football, or NFL, I'll just say gambling in general. Um,

(01:09:22):
this year, we should have moved out to Vegas. This
was my thing. Man, I could have could have been rich.
This was my my my calling. Okay, Um, I don't
see the ann last week, did I not? There's no
person that holds onto one correct pick longer than Arnie Spaniard.
I think also in that same vein, you were telling
us we were all morons because Michigan would route Rutgers.

(01:09:44):
I don't know appreciates in that game, I said, I'm
the one that said Michigan was gonna win three games
this year, maybe two, And look what's going on with
them that weren't too So THEO asks the question, I
find it fascinating because do we have a full week
eleven that we have to recap? Absolutely Sagers started to
scratch the surface. We're gonna go all in at the
top of next hour, going to figure out how good

(01:10:07):
New Orleans is, what's next in Cincinnati with Joe Burrow's injury.
Pittsburgh stays undefeated, great finishing night between the Raiders and
the Chiefs, And what the hell happened to the Minnesota Vikings,
who uh, basically had a chance to kind of get
a lot of really good momentum going got beat by
the Cowboys. Fun game between the Packers of the Colts.
We'll get to all of that, but we always kind

(01:10:28):
of lose track of the bye week teams. And I
think there's two very interesting teams on on the by
maybe a third if you want to include your Giants, Arni,
who are right in the heart of the playoff picture
right now, and I think San Francisco gets left out
because we all accept that their roster has just been
decimated by injuries. But in Buffalo and Chicago to fascinating teams,
one that very much controls its own destiny for the playoffs,

(01:10:50):
and the Bills one that needs a little help in
the Bears. But THEO asked a very good question, which
is can we get yours and Arnie's take on how
you turn around the Chicago Bears right now? Now Again,
I know we're loaded with Bears fans here on Fox
Sports Radio and Jonas Knox would be able to give
you the once over on this, But I find it

(01:11:10):
fascinating that in the NFL you have so many teams
that have good offenses and horrible defenses. I'm looking at you, Vegas,
But then you have the Bears, who are kind of
the complete inverse of that, kind of like your Dolphins
where they have this incredibly stingy, dynamite defense but they
just can't consistently score points. What do you do to
turn around the Bears. Well, first of all, I thought
they had defense when they traded for Khalil mac I'm like,

(01:11:33):
oh my goodness, their defense is gonna be unstoppable. They're
gonna be the best ever. And all they have to
do is get a little bit of an offense. I
don't buy foals, I don't buy Trabsky, So I think
it has to go ahead and start there. You look
at the running game, what do they have what Montgomery
and court Darryl Patterson, who's really what I thought a
wide receiver? ARYK. Cohen had been good with a couple

(01:11:56):
of years, not so much this year. So I'm so
sure they have anything in the rushing game, UM certainly
could use an upgrade and receiving if you want to
get better offensively, um and start getting your wide receiver
and look at the quarterback. Obviously, get yourself a QB
that could throw the ball downfield. That's what they lack.

(01:12:17):
I think Todd said it. It's fascinating to see two
guys in Matt Naggy and Nick Foles, who orchestrated one
of the greatest Super Bowl Game plans ever, and now
they just can't get anything done in Chicago. It's just
fascinating to see how bad it is. Um, how about
the other team? Wanna buy Buffalo? Should Buffalo fans be
concerned right now coming off heartbreaking loss and having a

(01:12:39):
week to think about it, or you know, right before
that they won three straight games. They're just beating the Seahawks.
The schedule breaks for them when they get back. They
play the Chargers next week than the Niners before showed
on with the Steelers. I don't think I'm panicking too
much if I'm a Bills fan, right, why would you?
You haven't won the division since what? Jim Kelly? Um,
you're in first place. The Patriots are gonna make a

(01:13:00):
did you this year? That's for damn sure. You gotta
lead one game lead over the Miami Dolphins, And you know,
I wouldn't be too too worried about them, considering if
two is gonna be inconsistent. Um, they certainly look like
the best team in the division. There's no doubt about that.
They've got themselves. It seems like leadership at quarterback. What
more do you want from them? They got a good

(01:13:20):
running game, they got a good defense. Why would you
be panicking if and then they picked up steffun things
which you're not to be a really great pick up
by the Bills this year. Why would you paddick at all?
They've they've got third smooth sale and ahead for them.
Why would you panic at all? Is what you asked
for a Buffalo Bills fan whose whole life has basically
been disappointment, right, My wife's yeah, my wife's a Bills fan.

(01:13:45):
Why would you panic? Because I've seen this play before, Artie,
I know how it ends. But yeah, we always lose
sight of the teams that are on the BI But
thanks for bringing it up, d O. We appreciate it
all right. When we come back to the Guy, Fox
Sports Radio Studio, Steve Seger will slide in. We'll get
caught up on everything that we missed out. Plus, Arnie,
it's a big week in college football. I know that
we've got NFL to recap and talk about all night long,

(01:14:06):
but what will the first four team playoff rankings look like?
We'll dive into those as well. Next with Arnie and
Plank on Fox Sports Radio, Arti and Plank Fox Sports
Radio on a Sunday night into a Monday morning. Actually,
Happy Monday, Arnie. For those in the East Coast. Happy
Monday to you lost years too, but at least split

(01:14:27):
the weekend. Howd Arizona didn't Dallas one? Nice Oklahoma one?
All good pack teams lost. No team didn't lose. Our
teams Bobo's Cowboys one U c l A play to.
I don't know, Bob, you U c l A U

(01:14:48):
s C guys usc because it's almost went to usc AL.
I just didn't want to go with the stipulations that
was coming with it. I like it. Oh, sorry to
take over, Steve segment, go ahead, second of excuse me, Steve,
I have the same question, exactly what are we talking about?
J R. O T C in high school? Marine Corps

(01:15:09):
r OTC and my SMI, Lieutenant Colonel Hines had got me.
He was gonna put me on a scholarship for the
Marine Corps. But I didn't want to go to the
Marine Corps long as a scholarship. It was like eight
years or something like that. And that was only wasn't
because of academics, that's for sure. I had wow who
said that? And it was it was because they knew
I was gonna eventually have to put your ass and checks.

(01:15:31):
And he was like, all right, Well, congratulations to all
of our teams that want except for Arizona Miami Raiders.
Steve to Sayer joined us as he does every single
Sunday night at this time. What's going on, Steve? Well,
we mentioned the ridiculous amount of first downs in this game.
Oh my god, Chiefs of Las Vegas over sixty feet

(01:15:52):
downs in a sixty minute game that was with Kansas
City alone thirty six first downs. A P looked it up,
going back at least thirty years in the NFL record books,
only three other teams have done better in that category.
The New Orleans Saints once had forty first downs in
a game against Dallas in but I mentioned the long
drive the Chiefs had coming out of halftime tonight. Hardly

(01:16:14):
there only long drive of the night. Great item from
a P writer Josh Hubo in the Bay Area. He says,
since Paul Gunther became Raiders defensive coordinator, in these three years,
they've allowed to ninety yard touchdown drives in the same
game three different times, against the Chiefs tonight, against the
chief last year, and against the Chiefs the year before,

(01:16:38):
and so they had to playing the Chiefs more than
you try that the a FC had two drives of
more than ninety yards that wound up in TV's Tonight
and then the game winning touchdown drive Mahomes goes seventy
five yards in seventy five seconds and thirty thirty one
case is the final the great set earlier in the
show from Chris about the last calendar year, the Chiefs

(01:16:58):
record including playoffs eighteen in one. What franchises would you guess?
In NFL history are up near the top as far
as longest winning streak no losses at all playoff games
included in a row. The record is twenty one wins
in a row according to the Hall of Fame itself.
Who do you think has that records in a row? Miami? Right?

(01:17:20):
Aren't you guess? Oh? NFL history NFL Pittsburgh, Cleveland, the
New England Patriots. Oh I should have gotten that one,
including the two thousand four Super Bowl when they had
the field goal at the end to beat Carolina. Twenty
one straight wins. It was a streak that ended the
next season at Pittsburgh. Number two on the list, Aaron

(01:17:42):
Rodgers Green Bay had nineteen straight wins. It was from
December to December that streak ended at Kansas City, and
there's not much after that. I mean, on the list
of eighteen straight wins in NFL history, you got like
the Bears of the early thirties and the Bears of
the early forties, and the brown of the late forties.
And then the team aren'ty had mentioned earlier, Grecs Dolphins. Yeah,

(01:18:04):
they were seventeen and oh and then one opening Day
the next year was played four or five games them.
He d Earl Moral on the team that came in
and kept winning as well, but it was at Oakland
at the streak ended the next year. Early the next year,
Joe Montana had a streak of about eighteen Elway late
in his career. Tom Brady had an eighteen streak as
well as twenty one in a row. But it's you

(01:18:26):
would think for all the thirty games streaks we've seen
in college history with Pete Carroll, with Oklahoma in the past,
with Miami, I mean, it's I wouldn't say it's a
long list, but it's certainly far more lengthy than what
you get in the NFL. The top competition Monday Night,
it's the Rams at Tampa Bay. The Rams are making
their fifth East Coast trip this season. They are two

(01:18:46):
and two of those previous games, with losses at Buffalo
and at Miami and ISAAIA call not good in long
stretches for both of those games. Tampa Bay's Tom Brady
has thrown for twenty three tds this year. That is
just too shy of joining Peyton Man is the only
quarterbacks in NFL history to toss twenty five or more
in fifteen different seasons. Some great quarterbacks go to the

(01:19:08):
Hall of Fame and don't even have fifteen seasons total,
so it really is kind of stunning. The Steelers won
again and Deonte Johnson had twelve catches for a hundred
eleven yards. Pittsburgh's tenant Oh. They rip Jacksonville to three.
He was targeted sixteen times in this game, and Pittsburgh
extended at sack streak to sixty seven straight games with

(01:19:28):
at least one sack. Pittsburgh has nearly forty sacks this
season to lead the league. And on the other end,
you've got Jacksonville their win loss record with this owner,
Shod Khan, He's been there nine years. He is forty
one and one hundred Jacksonville owner, and that includes the
run to the a f C title game. So he

(01:19:49):
ties an old Saints owner as the second fastest to
reach a hundreds no before even and remember expansion Tampa Bay.
They're just barely the fastest on that list to a
hundred losses. Yeah, it has not been good. So Pittsburgh
tenan oh first time in franchise history. Jets oh and
ten first time in franchise history. They lost to the Chargers.
The Jets were officially eliminated from the playoff hunt today.

(01:20:11):
By the way, they're still in the running to join
the list of Owen sixteen teams in NFL history since
we expanded the schedule, of course, Detroit Lions two thousand eight,
the Browns three years ago when Owen sixteen. In that
Charger game. Today, Keenan Allen caught a franchise record sixteen passes.
He was targeted nineteen times, and why not you keep

(01:20:32):
moving the ball. Keenan Allen also ties Antonio Brown is
the fastest to reach six hundred career catches. This is
how much they throw the ball these days. Believe it
or not, they both did it did so in under
a hundred games. They got to six hundred career catches. Well,
This is a six different time for Keenan Allen to
have at least thirteen catches in one game. That's a

(01:20:52):
record for any receiver in NFL history. And Justin Herbert
could be offensive Rookie of the Year. He had a
rookie record best first half since at least the last
thirty years by by a rookie quarterback. He was twenty
three of thirty one two seventy seven yards passing in
the first half against the Jets. Who does he think
he is? Patrick Mahomes in the fourth quarter? Alright, great stuff, Steve.

(01:21:14):
Now we're playing buy or sell next hour. It's got
a lot of tweets to get to and before we
get out of here, Arnie's picks. It's in the final hour.
That's right, Matt Verner, Ram's next to on Fox Sports Radio.
Let's get after it. Let's go. Let's final hour, Final
hour from the guy, Go Fox Sports Radio Studios. Fifteen

(01:21:35):
minutes could save you fifteen percent or more on car insurance.
Busy guy who dot com for a free rate quote.
I wish they could flex out the Thanksgiving Day games
and get get us snoo games out there. They're horrible.
You know, well, Here's the way I look at it
is Thanksgiving weekend. Yeah, you're always gonna get the Lions
and you're always gonna get the Cowboys. But I feel
like the NFL has finally started to give us a

(01:21:56):
really good prime time matchup on Thanksgiving. So so get
through your what Lions Texans? Right? Get through that? Um,
good luck in Cowboys? Get through the watching and the
Cowboys game. Then aren't the primetime game pretty good? Next week?
Watching the Cowboys is an important game for that division,
So I guess you can. I'll throw that in there

(01:22:17):
if you want. I appreciate you trying to make up
for being mean to Bobo off the top of the
show like that. That's very kind of you looking up
with nobody. What are you talking about? You have got
to stop taking credit for everything, aren'ty. I'm just telling
you right now it's your biggest fault. Say a lot,
don't do much. Let's let's see if you guys go
to break on time. That's right to commercial tell him, Bobo,

(01:22:41):
But baltiwar Pittsburg's a nice primetime game, and I feel
like which shows you how lucrative that's has become. I mean, listen,
I'm old enough already to remember when we had just
two Thanksgiving games, you how to make it work. And
then the NFL Network, I don't know what about a
decade ago, said hey, let's put a game on Thursday Night.

(01:23:02):
And if I'm not mistaken, I think one of their
first Thursday night games, Thanksgiving Thursday Night games was the
Hardball Brothers going against each other, and long, behold, here
we are. It's become part of the tradition, and you
get the Ravens and the Steelers. So I am excited
about Thanksgiving. But I figured, with with tonight being a
unique night, with tonight having that verter Ram coming up

(01:23:23):
here in the next segment, and with your picks obviously
featuring what I'm very very sure is a very heavy
slant towards some college football this week as well. What
if we threw our regularly scheduled edition of Buy or
Sell here on a night when the Raiders have broke
my heart and the Kansas City Chiefs ripped it out.
Why don't we pull a little buy or sell? Aren'tie do?

(01:23:45):
Get it out? Then we'll hit the locker rooms and
we'll get Matt and we'll be ready to go so
without any further ado. No one else does this. You
don't hear it anywhere else. It's very unique and it's
it's special to us. We take stories. I asked Arnie
if he's in, he's out, if he's buying or selling? Uh,
And we debate them and screaming, yell at each other
like sports talk radio host too. And we'd love to

(01:24:07):
hear from you on Twitter. Throughout this, I realized I
don't give our Twitter address enough. He's at stinking Genius one.
I'm at playing show and everybody should be following us
at Fox Sports Radio already. You ready, I'm close to
ten thousand follower. I never asked for followers. I need to.
I'm close to ten thousand. I should ask for that.
I know that's not a lot in the radio business,
but I should should get at least ten thousand. When

(01:24:28):
you think S T I N K, I N genius
and the number one, that's how you find Arnie to
follow him. Thinking have nine thousand, we can get you
over ten thousand today. I think I've had that for
four years though, So yeah, that's something and lose something,

(01:24:49):
all right, So let's start here. Arnie buy or sell
the Steelers are the best team in the a f C,
maybe the best team in the NFL. Yeah, I'm gonna
have to buy that. I mean, if you really think
about it, I mean, you put up the other teams
that are supposed to be right up there, the Packers,
I can't put them there. I'm like, no, no, that
that's not going to work down. The Saints have one

(01:25:10):
m seven in a row, so you can make a
case for them. But when you're tenan oh, who else
are you gonna say other than the Kansas City Chiefs
Now still Kansas City again look good against the Raiders,
but there's been a lot of whole home games that
Kansas City just kind of slept walk through. You guess
you could say that about one or two games with Pittsburgh,
one of them being the Dallas Cowboys. But Dallas shows

(01:25:31):
that they're alive with their victory over Minnesota. I guess
what I'm Revie is saying is Pittsburgh's the number one
team not only based on the tennant oh, but they
have a damn good defense also much better than the
Kansas City defense that will come in handy on the
way to the Super Bowl. Pittsburgh's the best team in
the NFL right now. If if we eliminate conferences and
I say, who's your top five right now in the NFL?

(01:25:54):
Would it be Pittsburgh one, Kansas City too, or New
Orleans to Pittsburgh would be number one? Kansas City would
be too, The Saints would be three, Seattle would probably
be four, and I would have Tampa number five. Tampa,

(01:26:16):
by the way, Monday Night football tomor night should be
a good one against the Rams. Okay, listen, Sean brought
this up and we haven't talked about it yet, So
let's go, Artie buy or Sell. Chief's game was great,
goodwin for Kansas City. I mean they they avenged their
only loss of the season. Thursday Night football was a
great game, but buy or Sell, Arnie, the best win

(01:26:38):
on the weekend goes to the Tampa Bay Tight What
am I saying? The Tennessee Titans who tried to blow
the game against the Ravens, but yet behind Derrick Henry
got it done. Did you like that cutback gets the touchdown,
goes in for the victory. Uh yeah, Ryan Tannehill, Actually
it's like a good quarterback huh um. And he didn't

(01:26:59):
have the role I on the running game. Yeah, it
was a great victory because look what it did. It
put Baltimore out of the playoffs right now, I find
know it correctly and and and Tennessee moving up. So
that's the difference between what that game created, plus you
get the tiebreaker. Humongous game. How could it not be? So, Yeah,
that was a big, big victory for the Titans on
this one, maybe I should have rephrased that and said

(01:27:21):
the best performance would have been Tennessee. Finding way, I'm
sure there could be. You could go with bigger individual numbers.
You could go with Sean Watson threatening fifty yards, that
Cam Newton had some big yards to bigger statistical performances.
But just from a team perspective outside of the Jets,

(01:27:42):
maybe really, oh yeah, well that was I mean think
about this, you're you're behind your rally. You beat the
was some people think could be the one of the
top two teams in the NFL and the Packers and
Aaron Rodgers. You lose this game instead of going to
seven to three or six and four, all of a sudden,
it could be a tough run for the playoffs. That
was a monster win for the Colts. How about the

(01:28:03):
fact that they were down a half and only allowed
a field goal in the half. Incredible a good defense,
they really do that, Okay, which gets us to our
next Buyer Sell. It's kind of funny that you brought
that up, because Arnie buy or Sell. The best sleeper
pick for a potentially sneaking into the Super Bowl is

(01:28:24):
the Indianapolis Colts and Philip Rivers. I would I mean,
what are you saying by a sleeper like Ted the
one double digits. I don't know, but I would say
they're one of them. I mean, you could have Tennessee
as a sleeper also, Um, you know, they can certainly
jump up. I would say everybody in the NFC other
than maybe, um, the Cleveland Browns could be a little

(01:28:47):
bit of a sleeper from four or five or six.
So but yeah, I would say, yeah, they could certainly
be a sleeper. Don't doubt about that. Um yeah, okay,
I'm with you. I just from my perspective when I
say sleeper, I guess I mean anyone that's not Kansas City, Pittsburgh,
GP Orleans, or Tampa right now. Maybe maybe throw the
Seahawks in that too, because those are all teams that

(01:29:09):
kind of have pretty crazy odds, um what plus two
thousand on the culture right now for DraftKings, so maybe
something worth keeping around. Alright, into one, two more quick ones.
You're better at math and I am two more quick ones?
All right? Uh buyer sell Arnie. The Cowboys are back, baby,
and with their win today, they put themselves in position

(01:29:29):
to win the NFC and potentially make the playoffs. They
are yeah, no, not kidding around. I didn't think I
was gonna be able to say this, but their last
two weeks have been really, really good. If they have
some weapons around them, they just kind of need some
veteran leadership at the quarterback other than Danucci. I guess
I don't know. I think they are gonna go ahead.

(01:29:53):
It's not gonna be Philadelphia with the way they look.
I may have to say that the that the Cowboys
are back, you may be right about that. And by
the way, you listen to this, when has a team
ever gone from fifteenth in the conference to making the playoffs?
And week O Levin, I'm gonna say, never prove me wrong.
May happen this time with with the Cowboys. We had

(01:30:14):
what what we had a couple of years ago? I
say everything I say a couple of years ago. I
was years ago. But when the when the Saints made
the the Seahawks made the playoffs and Marshawn Lynch had
to run against the Saints, they weren't a very good
football team. I think they've beating the Rams and Sam
Bradford in the final week of the season to even
make the playoffs. But huh, I I like the way

(01:30:36):
you're looking here, Arnie. Well, we'll have to see if
we can't challenge you on that number. But I think
you're gonna be right. Okay, uh and then one more
quick one and we'll get our break in. Matt Verderam
is going to join us. Arnie by herself. The Cleveland
Browns are good. For goodness sakes. They've played an awful
weather in the last three weeks. They've come out of
that two and one. They're only loss was to the
mighty Las Vegas Raiders. Arnie, the Browns had the look

(01:30:58):
of a playoff team right now. They do well, he
was all. They just barerely beat Philadelphia, they barely beat Cincinnati.
You're right, they they've they've beaten teams are supposed to beat.
Right now. That's I keep saying every week, if the
Browns win this, they're proving they could turn the corner.
They're proving they could turn the corner. Um Baker Mayfield's
proven that he's not gonna make the big mistake and

(01:31:18):
caused his team. The defense has always been good. Are
they gonna get tripped up somewhere along the way? Probably
probably in the first around of the playoffs, But right
now they're looking pretty good. I like the way they're going.
I really do too. And you know, I guess I
guess I didn't know what to think about Kevin Stefanski
as as a football coach. I guess I really didn't know.

(01:31:41):
But I wasn't always all that impressed with with the
Vikings offense. But man he is. Again, we're still very
early in this process. I'm not trying to get too
carried away here, but man, he's got He's got the
Browns playing really good football. I mean, there's seven and
three football team right now, and that's no and no
Dell Beckham Jr. For the rest of the year. So

(01:32:02):
you thought that that would have gone ahead and hurt
them a little bit also, And I'm not one of
those guys. It's like, oh, they're better without Odell Beckham Jr.
But I think they're I think they're pretty good football team.
Do you want to do you know they could they would.
I'm just gonna say this stage. They could have lost
their top wide receiver in Odell Beckham Jr. They lost
their top running back right um uh chub, and yet

(01:32:24):
they're still going your head and winning games. I don't
hear people complaining, oh, they have injuries. Injuries. It's tough
to continue to win without two of your top weapons
offensively in your wide receiver and running back. But yet
they did it. They continue to do it all. I
gotta throw a college winning here, because as I look
at the clock and I realized that we've got Matt

(01:32:45):
coming up at in our next segment in the bottom
of the hour, we're gonnahit the locker rooms, and then
we got your picks. The four team playoff rankings for
college football will be released on Tuesday, the first round
of rankings. Now it's still a four team race and
we're down to the final four weeks. It's it's a
season unlike any other, and obviously with the rankings coming
out late, it's it's unlike a situation we've ever had

(01:33:07):
with that, So, Arnie, I think we all agree Alabama,
Ohio State, Clemson, and Notre Dame are gonna be the
top four, right, yes, yes, yes, okay, here's my buyer self.
There's could be a little bit of a problem when
it comes to um that scenario, because why is that? Well,
if I, and maybe I didn't explain this right last

(01:33:28):
night though, the top two teams in the a c
C um will play each other for the a CEC Championship,
which everybody thought was gonna be Notre Dame mcclemson. But
if Clemson has another game cancel, then Miami actually who's
tied with them right now, wins, they'll be the second
place team. And then Clemson wouldn't go to the playoff,
would um? Because they wouldn't have enough games? Oh so

(01:33:48):
they have. I didn't know they had that rule in
the a c C. I know they had it in
the Big Tin. If you have two or more, I'm sorry,
if you have more than two games canceled in the No, no, no, no, no,
it's not more than two games. It's just that Miami
would be seven and one, Clemson would be six and one. Therefore,
Miami would be in second place. I think the head
to head, though, would get Clemson in, even though Miami

(01:34:11):
has the better record. I think so. I think so
because I remember we were fighting about this the other night,
and I think Clemson that you're right, they'd have the
half game lead because they played one more game. But
since they're even in a lost column, I think Clemson
would still get in. But I hope they don't cancel
another one, but at the very least for the for
the sake of argument for these first playoff suckings. Right,

(01:34:33):
but we all agree those those four are gonna be
the top four. Arenie, knowing that Florida lost A and M,
and that A, A and M ended up getting destroyed
by Alabama, I would like to see Cincinnati higher. Who knows,
but Arnie buy or sell Florida is gonna be ranked
ahead of Texas A and M despite the fact they

(01:34:53):
lost to them, and Florida is probably gonna be the
fifth team. I would say, you're probably right. It's gonna
be floor to A and M five six, And I'm
okay with that. I brought this up yesterday. Let's Cincinnati
and B why you play each other? Winner gets into
the four team playoff. I don't know how we're gonna
do that, but it sounds good. Um, but I think
they have like December twelve off, let me go play

(01:35:15):
each other? Yeah, play each other. But of course, uh B,
why you don't want to play anybody? They don't want
to play Washington. We'll get to that later on because
I see on Twitter striving everybody crazy. Um, but this
was the year, Chris. I thought that we could do
stuff like that, and I s don't still don't think
it's impossible. I say we go from four to eight
and we do stuff like that. Let be why you

(01:35:35):
play Cincinnati. Um, I don't know what Coastal Carolina play
Liberty until Liberty Glass this weekend. But stuff like that
to get you in. This gonna be in a good
year to experiment stuff like that. I've said this a lot,
and I know it falls on deaf years, and I
know we're not in a situation where people want to
be playing more games. But you're gonna have a conference

(01:35:56):
championship game, you're gonna end up having a a Bowl game,
and if you're in the playoffs, you're gonna play one,
maybe two more games. But I just expanded to eight,
you know, make these Bowls easier for one season. I
know some people would say, of course, you would say
that you're an Oklahoma fan, they've lost two games. You
want to try to slide him in, And I would say,
shut up your right, but in all reality, but no,

(01:36:18):
in all seriousness, get your five power conferences in and
go with three wild cards. You know, then that way,
uh A, Notre Dame and Clemson could still get in.
A Cincinnati would have a shot. Maybe uh An A
and M or a b Y you could get in.
I'd love that tourists argument. I know we have to
go to the break. Tourist said, well, nobody knows these
teams will never be able to win the whole thing.
I go, do we not love anything more than the

(01:36:40):
first two rounds of the n C Double eight Tournament?
And we know those teams are not gonna win it.
Base Books extended the playoffs, The Major League BASEBOO extended
the playoffs. NFEL extended the playoffs. I don't see why
we shouldn't do it now. When we come back to
the guy called Fox Sports Radio Studios, let's continue to
look back on a wild week a week till excuse me.

(01:37:00):
We levin in the NFL. Matt verter M is next
with Arnie and Plank on Fox Sports Radio. It Arnian
Plank on Fox Sports Radio, hoping to talk to Matt
verd M this hour, national NFL reporter for Fan sided
Arnie's buddy Chiefs Fan. So that's hopefully coming up here
in moments that it's pretty hard. Hey, Arnie, did you

(01:37:23):
did you write this song? I mean, you're taking credit
for everything else. Wow, look at you pick it on
me like that. Wow. I'm just asking just I think
it's a fair question. Did you write this? No? I
didn't write this one. You know who performs its helped
I helped out. But Vanilla eyes, I don't know. He's lacking. Whenever,
if I were to attempt to talk about the Undertaker's

(01:37:44):
last match tonight, Arnie would ask if he was wrestling
the Macho Man. So that kind of shows you when
we go from wrap to wrestling. It's just it's the
lowest common possible comparison you could come up with. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
I love this commercial. Stepped into a slim Jim Anyway.
I thought he had his last fight, like a couple

(01:38:05):
of years ago, like WrestleMania. Yeah, me too, me too.
I thought he had his last match. I thought he
he's like a boxer, he just comes back. Well, he's
the Undertaker, he comes back from the dad. Yes, Mr Shapiro,
I'm going to fire them immediately for talking wrestling as
soon as as soon as I can. Yes, wrestling is
a sport. What are you doing? And it's on Fox
Sports once and it's fired for this missing something that

(01:38:26):
we actually have on our networks. Bad job by you?
Are you fired? Take the day off. Wrestlers are like boxers.
It's like I thought their last thing was like ten
years ago. It's like this is their farewell tour. It's like, OK, dude,
I know I can. When I was watching wrestling, it
was like he had like two or three last fights.
So when you just said Undertaker fighting again, I was like, what, Like,

(01:38:49):
you just fight and take a month vacation and come back,
I guess. And the only reason I knew it is
because I was living on Twitter for some reason during
the afternoon came and everyone was talking about I have
no idea, I know k and came back, So come
on do seriously? Yeah, next thing, you know Kurt Angle
will be out there to all be great. Any with

(01:39:09):
a E F or whatever a W A W. Sorry,
my man j R. Is the play by play guy?
There are you intrigued right now? Arnie? I'm like, really,
is there something wrong with you two guys? Jericho's over
there right, My goodness, man with the wrestling people right
now pulling their hair out over this, that's right. You
and Colin just make fun of wrestling fans. Do that too?

(01:39:31):
Good thing? You don't have a lot to pool, so wow, Like,
now I know why. Now I know why Colin does.
I don't blame him that, Okay, A couple of good
things holding on his show before? Did he really Yes,
I've watched the episode and he was. He talked about
the fact that all the surgery, Like I can say
this about wrestling and I'll get it alone. Wrestling. I

(01:39:52):
don't care if you think it's fake, if you think
it's whatever is rigged. You're still jumping from fifteen feet
landing on Matt. That takes skill, It takes work. Like
they go through surgeries, they go like, oh and heart
lost his life in a wrestling event. You know what
I mean. It's not it's not fake, Arnie. It's scripted.
That's what you gotta learn. That's what it is. Um Paul, Right,

(01:40:16):
I love that Arnie stuck in. You really are I
mean in a lot of things. You're a Dolphins and
a Giants fan. That was about the last time they
were good. We're talking about Arizona basketball. That's like New
York they were good and the Knicks, right, Vanilla Eyes,
Jimmy super Fly, schnooka scream, all that good time. I

(01:40:37):
like it all right. I got a lot of tweets
here to get some fighting words with them. Fighting words.
Wrestling is a sport, right, Um, hey, this is good.
I'm sorry. I don't know if I'm ever saying a
Reek's name right, but a Reek writes Plank. Don't let
Arnie get away with passing off that he picked you
to cover. He specifically said, I don't don't need the points.

(01:41:01):
I don't want the points, and I'm not going to
take the points. Did you say with Indiana I did
take the points. I said they were gonna win the game,
but they lost by a touchdown. I know when it
was thirty seven. I'm like, man, I'm gonna get I'm
gonna get sick over this. But they made a great
run at this thing. A matter of fact, Chris, they
could have a chance to tie this thing up. That's
how close they they turned out. I gotta give him

(01:41:23):
a lot of credit. That was That was a fantastic turnaround.
Oh my gosh, it was. It was improbable, is what
I would say. With the way that Ohio State was
moving to football. It was improbable and they still did it. Okay, Paul,
By the way, hashtag Bills Mafia has checked in as
a Bills fan. I'm feeling good because Miami proved today
they can lose to anybody. Watch out for the Jets
next week. Barney. Four super Bowl losses in a row,

(01:41:47):
the Music City Miracle, seventeen year playoff drought, and don't
get me started on the Sabers. Being a Buffalo sports
fan is to live in constant anticipation of disaster. I
can understand. And that, by the way, I still say
the Music City Miracle that was behind the line. Can
we get somebody to like draw a digital line to

(01:42:07):
double check that. You think we've got the technology to
find out if that was backwards or not. I still
say it was backwards, but I guess it's too little,
too late right now. Oh, I'm willing to bet there's
a Bills fans somewhere that we'll figure that out. I
like this from Beer Baron. He writes, I'm heartbroken over
the Bengals and quarterback Joe Burrow. The Bengals knew coming
into the season they had one of the worst offensive

(01:42:28):
lines in the league, so they drapped a Heisman when
he quarterback and start him. What could possibly go wrong
that would go wrong? That you just saw what went wrong?
You see. Look, I'm not a guy that really worries,
you know. I like the flash. I like the wide receivers.
I like the running backs are like the quarterbacks. But
you've got to have a decent offensive line. You gotta

(01:42:50):
have somebody to protect these guys back there. Look how
many of them got hurt? Um, how many quarterbacks even two?
It did get hurt a little bit today when he
got hit. A lot of these acts. You need have
two quarterbacks I could play on your roster nowadays. Um,
you know what, not only do you need two quarterbacks
on your roster, but people are over paying. I mean,

(01:43:12):
I hate to say this because they're my team, but
you know, Marcus Mariotte is making seven and a half
million dollars this year and he hasn't been active once. Yeah,
but that actually sounds fine. That sounds like you know,
I mean, you're you're taking care of it. Well, I
guess you have to be ready and prepared. And that's
the cost of doing business in case your quarterback goes
down and either you want the whole season to go

(01:43:34):
belly up or you need a quarterback who could rally you. Um,
and that's what the price is. Seven and a half
billion dollars. I guess, yeah, seven and a half million
dollars and he hasn't been active one time. ROBERTA writes,
here's my personal message from the Tinnano Steelers and Ben
Roethlisberger to you. How do you like me? Now? Must

(01:43:55):
be a shot at you for not believing in the
Steelers this year, aren't you. That was a shot at
you last week when you said you're not sure if
you really belied in the Steelers. Amazing it took a
win over the Jaguars to sell me on him. Ralph
Ralphie Boy writes Chances the NFL goes to a week
eighteen and adds an eighth playoff team thumbs up or
thumbs down. Well, from the logistical side of that, aren't.

(01:44:18):
The only way that's happening is if we start losing
games to COVID nineteen. But it's not just gonna magically happen.
Because they feel like they want to add another team,
they're gonna have to lose games in order to do that. Now,
if college football was any example of what might happen,
I'd say, I'm sure that will have another team in
the playoffs. But obviously it's a different set of rules

(01:44:40):
for the colleges. A matter of fact, didn't we have
a third of the games canceled um last just yesterday
and I don't know how many of the week before,
and we haven't had thirty three percent of the games
canceled on it? Yeah, it was actually a third of
the games were canceled on Saturday or from in we
go en or eleven or whatever week it is or

(01:45:01):
twelve or whatever week it is. Um, they're still playing
more games. They're still playing. Like listen, I'm not going
to debate it because you're right. And when you have
a situation now to where it's become, I mean, people
were mad at Maryland for postponing the game and canceling
it against Ohio State and then come to find out
they have a massive outbreak that next week. Uh Dabbo

(01:45:22):
Sweeney is is mad because they took a guy with
COVID nineteen on the trip. Didn't want to call out
Florida State for not playing. So, I mean, I don't know,
I don't know what's going on here with it should
be Yeah, don't travel a guy who's tested positive. What
do we know? I actually don't blame Forida State for

(01:45:42):
not playing. I'd be kind of freaked out too, and
you're gonna get your butts kicked as well. So anyway,
we got a lot more tweets to get to, and
by the way, Arnies picks right around the corner. But
when we come back to the guy co Fox Sports
Radio Studios, let's hit the locker room some post games
sound what the players and coaches had to say about
Week eleven. But first, Steve to Seger one final time
tonight gets as caught up on everything in the world

(01:46:03):
of sports. What's going on? Steve? What you just brought
up brings up to college football related items before we
get to Chief Speeding Raiders is and we talked about
this a little on the show last night. Is it's
really to what if Clemson falls a couple of games
short of the total number of games everyone else in
the league is playing, because that would mean if they
can't make up Florida State from yesterday and if they

(01:46:24):
lose another game. There is an actual policy, one college
football writer pointed out. To be eligible for this year's
a CEC Championship game, or even to be considered in
a typebreaker, you have to come within one game of
whatever the league averages the a c C team's average
playing ten games, and you only play nine, that's fine,
that's within one. But if you only play eight and

(01:46:46):
they're all averaging ten games, then no, they're not going
to push back the battle game. So you can flip
in one more before change that for Clemson. I promise that,
Saron Black and White, the others. Did you see the
Matt liner at tweet today? Yes? I did. He's getting
up goodness is he said, l A just closed all
dining indoor outdoor for three weeks. I can't wait to

(01:47:08):
move out of this awful place. Ridiculous. And so after
that comment from Mr big Man, on campus. The regular
Joe's on Twitter saying yeah, man Worth millions will survive.
Another person said I had a relative die of COVID.
I'm sorry. You can't eat a restaurant for three weeks.
Another one just tweeted out the number of COVID deaths
of to just today. Another one said it's almost like

(01:47:32):
there's a pandemic or something, and another one tweeted out
to Matt Leinart before you leave, you should go dine
in large crowds indoors, and it went on from there. Anyway,
there you go. It's beneath him in the NFL. Kansas
City is now nine and one after winning a thriller
at Las Vegas thirty five thirty one on a touchdown

(01:47:54):
pass with about thirty seconds left. By the way, I'm
sure you, like a lot of people thought, you know,
that's kind of likely actually that Patrick Mahomes get winning
touchdown in the last two show, So I mean I
had to handle that. So the next question is how
likely is it for an NFL team in the last
thirty seconds to go with a long field and get

(01:48:15):
a winning touchdown. AP actually looked up at least the
last twenty years of records. So this is at least
since two thousand. If you're down like the Raiders were
down four, and it's only thirty seconds and you're starting
to drive at your own twenty five or worse, teams
are O and two two in that spot trying to
get the game winning touchdown, drive in the last thirty

(01:48:36):
seconds on a long field. So you're telling me, Steve,
I shouldn't be mad at Derek Carr for that interception.
It's not like I'm saying, so there's a chance. No,
it's quite the opposite since the year two thousand in
NFL history, Car about that? Yes, absolutely, gosh, Why why
every time have you been right on any of these
when has not been any hell Mary or anything like that? Right,

(01:48:59):
I'm saying this situation, down four, needing a winning touchdown,
not a field goal, get hell Mary twenty yard line.
I call bs on that. That's O and oh and
one for the other loser on the show. Quarterback Derek
Carr with three touchdown passes, one late interception, Casey Wins

(01:49:23):
Patrick Mahomes had nearly three or fifty yards passing, Clyde Edwards,
a layer to t d Runs and Travis Kelsey at
eight catches a hundred twenty seven yards and the game
winning t D. Next Sunday, Kansas City at Tampa Bay
the Bucks first half. Tomorrow Night's game hosting the Rams,
Indianapolis beat Green Bay in overtime thirty one. The Packers
fumbled on the first possession of OT the team's fourth turnover.

(01:49:45):
Philip Rivers three touchdowns, one interception, He threw for two
eight yards. It was a great stat from NFL research.
You were talking, Chris about my goodness. The Packers were
up to touchdowns at the break and they only scored
three points in the second half. In these two years
with Matt Lafleur running the Packers, it's only the second
time they've lost to an A f C team. They
lost to Philip Rivers at Indie today and they lost

(01:50:06):
to Philip Rivers in l A with the Chargers last year.
Dallas won at Minnesota thirty one to twenty eight on
a touchdown with under two minutes left. Andy Dalton's third
t D pass. Cowboys had lost four in a row.
Ezekiel Elliott with a hundred three yards rushing his first
hundred yard game of the year. Dalvin Cook had one
TV over a hundred yards rushing, but one fumble late
in the first half that led to a field goal.

(01:50:26):
Minnesota lost by three. Kirk Cousins at three touchdown passes
over three hundred yards through the air, one early fumble
which Dallas turned into a touchdown. Denver beat Miami thirteen.
Rookie two A tog of Volo was sex six times
and replaced his offense went three and out five times.
Ryan Fitzpatrick with the late interception in the end zone.
Chargers beat the o N ten Jets thirty four eight

(01:50:50):
sixteen receptions for Keenan Allen Pittsburgh's ten and oh after
winning at Jacksonville seven three Jags one on opening Day
and have lost nine in a row since. They host
the brown next week and Cleveland is seven and three.
Ladies and Gentlemen, They beat Philadelphia seventeen. Eagles had three turnovers,
Tennessee one in overtime at Baltimore thirty to twenty four,

(01:51:10):
Derrick Henry the game winning touchdown run. Saints have the
best record in the NFC, now eight and two. They
ripped Atlanta twenty four to nine, Taysom Hill two touchdown runs.
Houston and Carolina each with wins and Washington beat Cincinnati
twenty nine. Rookie quarterback Joe Burrow of the Bengals out
for the year with a torn a c l. Washington
is three and seven. They're tied with the Giants and

(01:51:32):
Dallas half game back in the division, and on Thanksgiving
this Thursday, it's Washington at Dallas on Fox TV. Lakers
signed Marc Gasol, Celtics gave a MAX extension to Jayson Tatum,
and Utah gave a MAX extension to Donovan Mitchell four
years plus an option. Atlanta has a four year offer
sheet out for Bugged and boy Bug Donovich and Sacramento
has two days to match it. It's worth seventy two

(01:51:54):
million dollars the average fifteen points a game last year back.
Do you not getting the Geico Fox Sports associated or
more on car insurance with Geico? Go to Geico dot com.
Are called eight nine for seven otto. The only hard
part figuring out which way is easier? All right, Matt
Verderm has been kind enough to join us. I know

(01:52:14):
what's late. We get five good minutes with him here.
What a performance Matt tonight from from Patrick Mahomes. Derek
Carr was fantastic two. But let's get back to what
matters here. The Chiefs over the last year an incredibly
dominant run. This is all about Mahomes and read working together,
isn't it. Yeah? It is. Well, data not win this
game because their defense, which is normally actually been pretty

(01:52:36):
good this year. But it's not being against the Raiders.
They cannot stop Derek Carr and that offense. They couldn't
do it against tonight. But yes, and ultimately this game
was about one team having the halls and in the
late when they needed it the most, he drove them
down again. Uh, breakdown and coverage. Kelsey's wide open. It's
as easy as you're ever going to have for a touchdown.

(01:52:56):
And yeah, nine and one and basically a short now
of the division title because of the last second drive
by the best quarterback. If they don't win a super Bowl,
it's going to be because of why is it going
to be? Because they are not rushing for over a
hundred yards. I mean as a team they are, but
individually Clyde Edwards Hilaire not not doing it. He's okay,

(01:53:20):
but they don't give him the ball enough. Or is
it their defense that will stop them? From winning a
Super Bowl, Arnie, they don't win the Super Bowl is
because they shot themselves in the foot and beat themselves
any that's it. They play a clean game. Nobody's there's
talented any team in the NFL that I've seen in
a while, And frankly, like, who's beating them? I mean

(01:53:44):
if they play well. I mean tonight was a game
where I thought the Raiders played as well as they
could possibly play. The Raiders are a top ten team
in my opinion, right on that edge. You know, they
were the ninth, ninth or tenth overall, and yet the Chiefs,
who had a red non turnover, still won the game.
They just didn't matter. They're just so dominant they found

(01:54:06):
the way to win. I the only way they lose
is if they take ten penalties, which is, by the way,
what they did tonight, and they turned the ball over,
which is what they did tonight. And the other team
played perfect, which is just about what the Raiders did tonight.
That she stole shows you how good they are, Aren'tie.
Where the Raiders kicked that field goal and what Matt
the second quarter and basically you kind of sit there,

(01:54:28):
you go, oh, that's ball game. Because you just feel
like you have to score touchdowns. Now. I want to
shift to the to A conversation today because rookie quarterbacks
were a big story. Do you worry about how he'll
handle getting benched and what the long term prognosis could
be for that. I know he's gonna start, I know
they're gonna bring it back against the Jets, But can
that hurt your psyche a bit? You know, I think

(01:54:49):
he'll be okay, But I gotta say, and on the
huge Florence stand, why the body be my coach of
the year. You know that's a that's a bad move
by Florence because it creates doubt. Sure, it creates doubt
into his head, but I think he will bounce back,
But he creates doubt in the other guys in that
locker room. If the coach doesn't believe in him, why

(01:55:12):
should I? And yeah, he'll come back, and look if
I'm sure he'll be good against the Chets, and he
he did not play well today. But once you make
the move to TOA, you gotta ride with him. You've
got to go the rest of the year with him
no matter what, and accept the fact that he may
not be perfect. All the time. He may not play

(01:55:32):
particularly well for a week or two weeks. I think
Flora's in, in a move to win a game in
the short term, made a decision that could horror hurt
them long term. I think too will be okay, but
I do think it creates doubt, and you don't want
to create doubt with a guy who you just picked
fifth overall, who you're trying to build up. Matt. Matt,

(01:55:52):
the ship was sinking, my friend. We could either go
down with the shipper. We could bail out water again
in the life rafts. Let's get the life for a
little bit and see if it's Patrick could help us.
I have no problem with what he did again in
the short term. He gave them the best chance to
win today, and I understand that, and I know they're
in a playoff race. I get all that. I just

(01:56:14):
feel like, if you're gonna go to that young guy,
then you've made your decision and you've got to go
with him. You can't turn around and say, well, you
know what, the Three Chords wasn't good today, Okay. I mean,
he wasn't particularly good against the Rams. They won that game.
He was he was good against the Cardinals. He played well,
he was okay last week, right, he wasn't great. Look

(01:56:35):
he's been up and down. I just think it's you're
the Dolphins. The long term picture is more important. All
due respect him, I get it. You want to make
the playoffs and you're fighting for every guy in that room.
I understand all that, but he's one of them. You
can't you can't do that. In my opinion, Matt, we
only got about thirty seconds. But where should the concerned

(01:56:55):
level be right now? For the Ravens, Hi, they can't score,
You cannot score. Jackson can't throw the ball inside the numbers.
I just go watch the cat Go watch State teams
will tell you they feel like if they can pack
the middle of the field, they can stop them. And
I think the reasons make the playoffs because they're scheduled
down the stretch is not hard. They play the Giants, Bangles,

(01:57:16):
they play they play Jacksonville, they play Dallas. I think
they're gonna get the ten wins. But right now, the
way they're playing, they're not being nable in the playoffs.
They cannot move the ball consistently and the passing game
is broken. You're awesome, Thanks for standing up late with us. Matt,
look forward to chatting with you getting down the road.
Have a great holiday week. Thanks, thank you too. It's

(01:57:38):
Matt verder Am. You can read them on fans sided
appreciate his time late with us on a Fox Football
Sunday when we come back. It's what you all came
for tonight. Oh it's Arnie's Picks to take us home
on Fox Sports Radio. Great stuff, great stuff tonight, even
a late guest. How about that great job to say

(01:57:58):
you're on updates. Awesome job by Legal Lab producing this
show tonight. Bobo on the wheels of steel, and the
millions and millions of editors behind the scene who put
all the audio together that I never played. I never
played it. But we'll get there. We'll get there, maybe
before Big Ben mallor who's coming up next to safely

(01:58:20):
guide you as we count out a Thanksgiving but before
we do any of that. I can't. I can't sit
here and chitter chatter too much. Arnie. We're running out
of town and we need your picks. A holiday awaits
us take it away. Yes we can say. Oh, I
am on fire, my friends. So let's start with a
little college football. Um, I told Todd Ferman, I put

(01:58:42):
my money where my mouth is. Penn State never wanted
an Owen five team so badly before in my entire life.
But I'm taking the Thellions. Um, I'm taking the form.
Matter of fact, don't want the four, don't need the four.
I'll take the four. They're gonna beat Michigan, and I
have no confidence in whatsoever. Did you know North Carolina
can score and they can score a heck of a lot.

(01:59:04):
Can their defense slow down? No, tre dame, I'm gonna
say a little bit. Give me North Carolina plus the
four and a half against the Irish, and I'm gonna
take my Arizona Wildcats plus nine against the u c
l A. Bruins for no reason whatsoever other than because
I want to take my Wildcats right Thursday, Monday night football.

(01:59:25):
Excuse me. I'm gonna take Tampa away the four points
against the Rams. I learned one thing. Never ever, ever
go against the Lions on Thanksgiving, even if they did
lose twenty to nothing in the week before. So give
me the Lions plus a small number, just two and

(01:59:46):
a half against the Texas coming off a big win
against the Patriots. But I'm still gonna take the Lions.
Dallas is back and I only get away three. Is
that the correct line. I'll do it three at home
against Washington. I'll do it every time. And give me
Pittsburgh minus the three against Baltimore. So there you have
my picks, two of them as you please. No longer

(02:00:06):
strictly for entertainment purposes only kind of a proud of
you for sticking with your team. I thought you might
be bailing on Kevin Sutton in Arizona after this week.
We're won on one against the spread, that's all I care.
Spread should have beaten USC though, So there's that kind

(02:00:26):
of like to get all right, what guntel or gunnal kid?
I like gun can l gunald one whatever it takes.
Uh yeah, I mean it only took you follow behind
thirty seven? Is it to score some points last week?
So we can do that every week? Though? If seven
is zero every single week, this will be uh, this
will be a fascinating week in college football because and

(02:00:50):
and again I'm not trying to be overly concerned guy,
but with Thanksgiving on Thursday and coaches trying to do
everything they can to keep their guys together if you
go home or you go to a family event, it
could end up costing you a player or a game.
So you know, you bring up the Notre Dame North
Carolina game, which is actually a Friday game. No, don't

(02:01:12):
forget that's a Friday game. Aren't. But it'll be interesting
to see who's in and who's out whenever we hit
the weekend and Friday games. A matter of fact, yeah,
a lot of Friday games, a couple of Thursday games.
They've done a nice job with the schedule this year.
That Iowa State Texas game is pretty interesting. You realize
that if that, if Texas wins, they control their own
destiny to make the Big Twelfth championship game. So Texas,

(02:01:35):
whom we counted out after losses to TCU and Oklahoma,
could end up still playing for the Big twelve title.
And Alreadie, I know you're so excited about Nebraska in Iowa. Nothing, okay,
all right? Biggest story the day, of course, the injury
to uh the job, Joe Burrow, your boy getting benched,
Mahomes rallying from nowhere to win the game tonight, and

(02:01:57):
the Titans walking off on the Ravens. Ben Mallor will
have it all coming up next time. Having great Thanksgiving,
you can't wait to be back here next Sunday night
to break it all down for Bobo and lead a
lap and Steve to say he's already span your on.
Chris Blake, We'll see you next week on Fox
