Speaker 1 (00:01):
Don't listening to Fox Sports. They want everything, but the
game will explain that in just about a minute. But
right now it's time to say, yes, you know what
it is. It's time to wake up. Yeah, wake up. Yes,
this is Fox Football son, He's Brian Noha'm Andy Ferman.

And now, without further ado, my partner, my friend, the
brain to the offer, the guy who steers the ship,
the one and only Brian No, Hello, b howire you?

(00:44):
I'm great, Andy Furman. Divisional round of the playoffs. You
know what time it is? It smells like ball. I
thought it was funny this morning too, because Jason Martin
smells like ball. He described you and he's like, yeah,
Andy and Brian. On my drive back home after a shift,
here's like Andy Ferman yelling at me, telling me to
wake up. There's a great description. I don't want to

(01:10):
drive it off the road. That's why it's good. Yeah,
you're here for the people. I'm gonna smack you from
here to tomorrow. Oh my word, stopping already, you're driving
me nuts. But what about it? Tell me submarine? Okay, fine, fine, fine,
I got a quickie for you, and everybody wants to
join in because I think it's an important question. What
was the last live sporting event that you attended? Yeah?

(01:32):
I was talking about this yesterday with Steve Hartman. I
have no idea. I don't remember the last live sporting
event that I went to. Do you remember? I don't know.
I'm not sure. I'd have to think about that. Um,
I don't know. I'd have to think for a little bit.
If it comes to me, i'll mention it to you.
A little bit later in the show. I was filling
in for Ben Maller around the holidays, and Justin Cooper,

(01:52):
who was Ben's producer, he was like, what's the last
movie you went to? I have no idea. I don't know.
In the theater, I couldn't tell you. I'm not sure.
It's like a different life. What was yours? Do you
remember either movie or the sporting event? No, I don't remember.
I don't I thought it may have been going to
a Xavier University basketball game prior to the March ending.

(02:13):
But I don't know. I don't remember. I really don't.
I'm trying to remember the last NFL game I've gone
too because I try to see a different stadium. I
try to see a game in a different stadium each year,
and I typically see two, roughly, so I counted it
up one time. I've been to I think twenty five
of the thirty two stadiums, or at least I shouldn't

(02:35):
say that, because I've been to like MetLife for both
the Jets and Giants. But I've seen twenty five, I believe,
of the thirty two teams in their home stadium. So
I just have a few more to cross off the list.
I don't know, man, I have to do some digging
to find out what the last one I saw was
our executive producer, the best the Businesses the list when
for him was the twenty nineteen World Series Game four.

(02:59):
Y made it. Yeah, he made it there. I didn't
know that he's snuck in for this series. That's awesome,
Remember we were talking about that. I had no idea
he got to go. That's great. That's wonderful. What about
I'm thinking maybe the last game I went to a lot.
I doubt it though, was the one you and I
were at the Red Cardinals baseball guy, I don't think so.
I've been the game camp. You've had to have seen
something since, that's sure I have. But that that was

(03:21):
a highlight for me meeting with you at the Great
American Ballpark, and that was fun. It was great. There
are a lot more empty seats than people there, but
you know, Cincinnati, you know, no one goes to games
we had. We we've practiced social distancing years before, years
before with Bengals and Reds. Believe me, they should have
said that should have been the example. It's like just
a picture like you're at a Reds game. You know,

(03:43):
keep it. That's what they should The CDC would have
had a lot more success explaining it to the American
people that way. Yeah, but in Orchard Park last night,
it almost looked like a Reds game. But they had
no problem there. But what seven thousand people? But that
was the ruling. You know that That's that's what I
had to do. But amazing, you know, I expected, you know,
a little more scoring in that ball game, and the
way it ended was really not the way the script

(04:04):
was going on in my mind. But the Bills advanced
to ANFC championship game with a seventeen three win over
the Ravens, and uh what the way it ended? Really well.
It's one of these things where, look, I've called them
the overly sensitive Lamar backers. There are a ton of
overly sensitive Lamar Jackson fans where if you say the

(04:26):
slightest thing, like hey, the interception last week against the
Titans when the ball was eight yards behind his intended receiver,
that could be an issue going forward. And there are
a lot of people that are like, you can't say
that about Lamar that type of stuff. It's like, you're
gonna have to take the yel with what happened last night.
It's a ten to three ball game. At the end

(04:48):
of the third quarter, at worst, the Ravens should be
kicking a field goal to be down by four points. Instead,
Lamar Jackson throws a pick six and they're down by
four teen. That is just backbreaking. And I've said it before, Andy,
I'll say it again. Lamar adata Kombo, that's what he is.
He is just like Janice where those are regular season

(05:11):
m v p s, and when it comes to the postseason,
they have absolutely wet on themselves. That's just the truth.
It's not personal. It's not a personal attack or anything
like that. He hasn't gotten the job done. Janice hasn't
either come playoff time. It amazes me. And I said
coming into this segment, they won everything but the game.
I'm talking about the Ravens. The Ravens through for more
yards and the Bills. The Ravens out possessed the Bills

(05:33):
in time. The Ravens had more first downs and the Bills.
The Ravens had more third down conversions than the Bills.
It's amazing, it really is. And look what about Baltimore
missing two field goals. I mean, the thing was so lopsided,
was crazy, and if you look at the statue, you
think Baltimore would have won the ball game didn't work
out that way. Well, that was just the play that
flipped the game. You know, that's a at minimal ten

(05:55):
point turn around. At max, it's a fourteen point turnaround
with the pick six, and in a game like that,
low scoring, it was a game seiler, you know, So
that's rough. Man. I think about John Harbaugh. He said,
if you ever watched America's game on NFL network where
they it's amazing the chronicle is super Bowl winning team.

(06:17):
And he said this on the most recent Ravens after
they won the super Bowl against the forty niners. He
was like, the days are long, but the years are short.
And that's the way it goes in the NFL, where
especially this season, long season, COVID protocols, all that stuff.
Lamar was on the COVID list earlier this year long season,

(06:39):
days were long, but man, those years just fly by.
It's like Lamar against the Chargers. That was a rough game,
but that was his first playoff appearance, and boom, there's
that year. Then it was they won fourteen games and
went on themselves against the Titans. Well that was that year.
Oh and then the next year was that pick six
against the Bills, And all of a sudden, these years
are just flying on and by. Man, that's how it goes,

(07:01):
exactly right. Let's let's hear from the Buffalo billis coach
Sean McDermott on the pick six. Let's hear about that.
I trust my players and I really wasn't thinking stay
in but you know, I could see initially where he
had a little bit of traffic, you know, in front
of him or around him. I guess it's friendly the
best way to six. I think he was on the
side or behind slightly. But you know Leslie Fraser, the

(07:22):
defensive staff, that he'd emphasized that all the time from
the scoring on defense, and and uh, now we've been
able to do it twice I think this year, and
three times I think Jerry did at Denver as well.
So uh, big, big time play for US belly. But
as it turned the game around, Darren Johnson's pitch six
of the lar Jackson's passed by like forty seconds left
in the third quarter gave that seventeen three win over

(07:42):
the over the Ravens last night in the divisional round
in Rochard Park, New York. And it's certainly Buffalo was
at ten three on Josh Allen's three odd touchdown past
the Stefon Diggs and that was in eleven place, sixty
six yard opening drive. The Ravens came back, they threatened,
and they had the ball third and goal from the
non and and then Bingo interception. Game over. Yeah, and

(08:03):
something that stands out going forward to is that Josh Allen.
They played well, but he had a couple of overthrows
and I think this shows you that like the youth
and being like the adrenaline through his body, like he
had to fund Digs wide open for an easy touchdown
and overthrew him by five six yards, you know. And

(08:24):
then he saw it later in the game. Tyler Huntley
filling in for Lamar Jackson, he had Hollywood Brown wide
open and same things is overthrew him by a good
five yards. And so going forward, when you're talking about
the a f C Championship game and it might be
against Patrick Mahomes, that's something to watch with Josh Allen.
Can he hit the deep ball or the wide open

(08:46):
receiver instead of overthrowing him by five yards because just
one missed opportunity like that, which could be a walk
in touchdown that could swing the difference in a game
like that. So it's something to watch. It's a great point.
But you know what, the excuse factor is always an
excuse factor, because Ravens coach John Harper said the wind
affected both teams and McDermott on the pick six take

(09:07):
a list to Harbor infected both teams to some degree
on offense. Obviously, you know when you're throwing the ball,
there's there's a wind and different different areas of the game.
For sure, they didn't do anything really a surprises. We
were prepared for it. I thought they executed well. We
executed well at times, we weren't able to finish the drives,
and they get the points that we needed. That's the
bottom line. John Harball, coach of the Ravens. Is funny

(09:28):
because you're talking about the win. I remember watching the
game last night and I think Al Michael said that
win was something like four to six miles an hour.
Then that camera went on the flag and the flag
looked like was gonna blow up, and the goal post
was shaking. I know if that and the fourth the
crazy thing the goal posts were moving two different directions
at the same time, like they're about to kick a
field goal and they're showing the uprights, and one upright

(09:51):
was moving to the right and the other upright was
moving to the left, and I'm like, how is that happening?
They're moving in two different directions. That was strange. But
I didn't think that the wind affected Josh Allen very much.
That dude has a cannon and the pick six, it
would be one thing if that was a deep ball
by Lamar. That was not That was a ball on
a line. That was a bad read he never saw

(10:13):
Taryn Johnson. I wouldn't put that on the wind. You
could put it overall on that, you know, it infected
some of those passes, But I don't think on the
pick six at all. Well, I think it was on
the field goal botimost Justin Tuckey's obviously the most accurate
kicker ever in the NFL. He hit the wet the
left up right from forty one yards and then the
right up right from forty six yards before hitting that

(10:33):
thirty four yard field goal. It was the first time
he missed twice from inside fifty yards in the same game,
and the camera was on him. He had those eyes like,
what is going on here? What's happening? Yeah, And he
missed twice the week before, but certainly last night it
was more about the wind than anything. That's hey, man,
it's just at worst, you gotta protect the field goal,

(10:54):
Lamar Jackson, wind or not or anything like. You can't
make a miss to read like that and cost your
team a minimum of ten points. At ten point swing
in a game like that. It was a ten three
ball game. It can't be a ten point swing in
a ten three ball game. At the time. It was
funny because you talk about momentum, and both teams had
a lot of momentum coming into this game. What do

(11:15):
I mean by that going into the game. The Ravens
last loss was on the second of December, and the
Bills have not lost this November. So both these guys,
both these teams had a lot of confidence and momentum
coming into the game last night. I never bought the Ravens.
You heard me, Andy, I was squawking about that. It
was all this, wouldn't want to face the Ravens. That's

(11:36):
the team dangerous. And it's like, okay, why Lamar has
wet himself numerous times in the playoffs. This is nothing new.
Their defense is good, but it took a step back
compared to last season. They don't throw the ball particularly well.
And if you look at their winning streak down the
stretch of the regular season, yeah they had won five

(11:57):
straight and yeah they blew out a couple of teams,
but again, look at who they played, the Jags, the Bengals,
the Cowboys. The most impressive wind down the stretch was
against the Browns who have flaws, and that was that huge,
you know, forty two overtime win. Like I thought, that
was a fugazy winning streak down the stretch that misled

(12:18):
a lot of people. I never bought them. I did
not buy the Ravens and look out underrated. I didn't
think so. The greatest thing last night, you know, when
they come back from commercial break, they showed little things
about the town. They had like a buffalo shaped pizza.
If you saw that that. They also had the banner
downtown Josh Allen Town. That's great. That was wonderful in
downtown Buffalo. I like that. I like the the bills,

(12:42):
like pizza. But the only thing I kept thinking, because
you know me, Andy, I'm a huge fan of Pepperoni pizza.
But they you know, they had the shape as the
I don't know, like the gills or whatever that is right,
the pepperoni pizza was just like the logo. I'm like, man,
they didn't spread out the pepperoni at all. You know,
hopefully there's enough where you could take it yourself and

(13:03):
spread it out if you're eating that Zah if you
want some pepperoni pizza. That's the only drawback there. There
we go. By the way. You can contact us easily
seven on Twitter at the No Show and Ship or
at Andy Firmann f S. I'm not giving the phone
number today. I'm not why if you're you think I should, Yeah,
I'll just say I want to see. I want to
see who's gonna call us. That means they're a real

(13:25):
big fan of the show because they didn't need the number.
That's not being around a little bit, you know, real fast. Andy.
Let me say this because low Fu to Tupu remember him.
He was a linebacker for the Seahawks a few years ago.
But I talked to him during the week on my
My Weekday show, and he grew up in Massachusetts. His
dad played for the Patriots, and he said, in Massachusetts

(13:46):
they call it pizza. They put it are at the
end of pizza. Blew my mind. I was like, what
that's a thing? Yeah, So I thought in massachuse would
be p I Z Z a H pizza. You know, well,
there are a lot of peop in Massachusetts. Just call
it za, you know, like pizza za. Lets. I'll give

(14:07):
the number because you suggested I do eight seven seven
six six three six nine. That's eight seven seven Fox.
Now our lineup is second to none, it really is.
It's almost better than the Baltimore Ravens Bronx Talk radio
with amazing cris p that's in this hour, better than
the Ravens Our Number two Rapid Fire, and of course
bottom Barrel Benning. So we got all that and so

(14:30):
much more than Don't go Anywhere. Strap it in because
this game was like a family reunion. We'll tell you
all about it next sports. It's all about the quarterback,
isn't it. Well, that's coming right up about twenty one
minutes past the hour. This is Fox Football Sunday. He's
probably no. I'm Andy Fermin and we are both proudly

and away we go. Because this rams Packers game. The
question I have where the hell was Aaron Donald At

(15:13):
the start of that game? And I mean what he
was just what was he hurt? I mean I was
on the air yesterday, so I had the TV on
and I didn't see them in ninety nine, and I
wonder what happened And they finally found that they said something.
Was there a final report? What happened to Aaron Donald?
What was going on? Man? You're all over this Aaron
Donald's story? And yes, yeah, it covered from all angles. Um,

(15:35):
yes he was hurt. Obviously it was hurt. He had
the torn rib cartilage. He wasn't even close to his
normal studley self. He had what one pressure throughout. I
don't know if he had a pressure in the first
half at all, but he had one pressure later into
the game, you know. And uh, it was just not
the the stud outcome that the Rams were hoping for,

(15:57):
the stud performance from Aaron Donald, who was a wrecking ball.
We all know his credentials. And when he was singled
like he was single covered, basically it was blocked by
one guy a lot of the game. That changes the
Rams defense completely. So that hurt. There's still no excuse
to give up almost five hundred yards of total offense.

(16:18):
And the Packers you saw it, Andy like Alan Lazard
was open for a deep ball. It was close to
being completed. He had Marquez Valdez scantling wide open a
little bit earlier in the game, and Aaron Rodgers just
missed him. So there are a couple of throws that
easily could have led to big gains and the Packers
didn't make those plays, and they still had almost five

(16:39):
hundred yards of total offense. So that was a brutal
performance by the Rams defense. Green Bay beat up in
the l a Ram just eighteen and obviously Aaron Aaron, uh,
look at me, Aaron Donald Not how Cooper Cup didn't
play either, so that really hurt the Rams. But he
talked about the quarterback in situation, you know, Jared Goff,

(17:00):
you know, really and truly, if you were a Rams fan,
back up a little bit and take up breath. This
guy was like what three weeks after that one going
that thumb thumb injury and uh surgery on his thumb.
I mean, given the break, I mean, well, I guess
he threw a hundred seventy four yards, but it just
it wasn't meant to be. It just wasn't meant to
be coming off that thumb. Injury. You just you see
it's not there. And Cam Akers, I gotta give him

(17:21):
credit rush for like ninety yards yesterday and a touchdown.
But I still say the better team one. And I
still think that, Yeah, it would have been more pressure
on Aaron Rodgers if Aaron Donald was playing, But I
still think that the Packers would have won this ball game. Well,
hard to tell, hard to say, because that's how valuable
Aaron Donald is to that defense. And look, the Rams
had their opportunities just before halftime. Troy Hill should have

(17:44):
had an interception in the end zone. John Johnson should
have had an interception in the end zone, would have
kept at a six point game. And those were two
plays that the Rams didn't make. And then later on
Troy Hill just getting burned for the ceiling touchdown. But
that was you know, you looked up and all of
a sudden, you're like, wait a minute, it's a one
possession ball game here and the Rams have the ball.

(18:06):
You know. So with all that being said, the Rams
were still in it. They just they didn't have enough. Man.
They couldn't put together that one drive offensively when it
was a one possession game, and they could not make
that big play, either intercepting a pass, just something they
had opportunities and they didn't take advantage of them. Yeah,
and I said coming into the segment, basically it was

(18:27):
a family reunion. You know the storyline. He had a
coach Sean McVeigh of the Rams and coach Mett the
Floor of the Packers. The Floor served as mcveigh's offensive
coordinator in seventeen and they were offensive assistance together on
Washington staff. So these guys are great friends, they really are.
But you know what, talk about this Aaron Donald. Think
let's see what Sean mc they had to say about

(18:48):
Aaron Donmaco ahead coach Aaron is is able to sub
himself through what to really see. But you know he
he was gonna do everything in his power to be
out there with his teammates. This guy's the epitome of
a warrior. Love him. You know. The plan going in
was was seeing how he feels. He's kind of always
got that, uh, you know, the ability to be able
to tell us how he's feeling. And so as far
as the exact snap counts, you know, there's a lot

(19:09):
of things going on during the course of the game
that we have to be in tu Win. Uh huh, Well,
I'm not too sure I understood what he said, but
he could sub himself. Really yeah, I mean he gave
him the word like I'm okay to play. You would
think a guy would want to play, uh, in a
game like that. I know it's one week after that
rib injury knocked him out of that playoff game at Seattle,
but still in all, I mean, you want to go

(19:31):
out there even at Aaron Donald might be better than
not having him in there at all. Yeah, he just
he just wasn't productive. Man. That injury really really affected him.
And that's look, man, I was talking to from Salam
about this last night we were doing the show, and
the Big Man was basically like, yeah, don't talk to
me about injuries. They don't impact the game. And it's

(19:53):
like what, I'm like, what was fell over where? And
we had this long drawn out discussion about it, and
like he was basically with the player's mentality of Hey,
whoever's out there, that's who you're playing. That's so spare
me your tears. Don't talk to me about injuries. It's okay.
It's one thing if you're not going to dwell on them,

(20:13):
but to act like they don't significantly impact games is
just crazy. Like if Patrick Mahomes is six of what
he normally is, that's a huge deal for the game today.
And I thought Aaron Donald, I don't know what the
percentage was, but he clearly wasn't one percent. He wasn't
even close, and that was a huge deal in the game. Hey, look,

(20:34):
the Packers still might have won the game. But to
act like if Aaron Donald is one the game, like
there's no chance it could be significantly different, Like, that's
just crazy to me. I don't believe that. Well, maybe
was talking about the old next man up thing. Yeah,
she's gonna be the next man up, but you're gonna
lose productivity. And that next man that's the that's why

(20:54):
he's the next man. Otherwise he'd be on the field
all the time. He's the next man he's to be
he's to be opportunities, not the A guy, he's the
B guy. Well, sure, but we're talking about an A
A A guy, right, Aaron Donald. Right, this is the
best defensive player in football who isn't even close to
his normal self. That's a huge deal. I just think

(21:17):
that spinning it forward that matters I think the Packers
are overrated. I think the win, whoever wins the day
between Tampa and New Orleans, is going to the Super Bowl.
I see either team going into Lambeau and getting it
done next week. Well, you know, it's funny because you
go back early on this season when the Packers did
play at Tampa Bay and they beat him pretty soundly,

(21:38):
and uh, you know, Tampa lohooked him by four touchdowns.
And look, it can change in the postseason compared to
the regular season. And the Packers are a talented team.
I don't want to make it sound like they don't
bring any credentials to the table, but they could be had.
I think they would lose to the Saints. Saints have
a very good defense, and when it comes to you

(21:59):
know what they can do offensively Alvin Camara in the backfield.
I don't like the Packers rush defense, and I also
look at Tampa what they're able to do offensively down
the stretch of the regular season. I think either team
is gonna beat the Packers next week. I think the
winner today is going to the super Bowl. I just
don't believe in the Packers when they have Dafante Adams

(22:20):
is a stud. But if you're able to slow him down,
you're forcing Lazard and MVS to beat you. You'll take
that all day. And I think there's a fact that
we both missed the weather factor Lambeau. Now, yesterday I
was looking forward to seeing snow covered fields and no
lines on the yard lines. But it wasn't that bad.
It really was. It was like in the mid thirties.
I think they said the temperature was and then when was.

(22:42):
I think thee was a lot worse in Buffalo than
it wasn't Green Bay. But there's always that factor. You
know it's gonna be cold. Can you pass the ball
in the in the cold and basically can you grip it?
And the wind that is it's a major factory playing
in Lambeau. Yeah, I mean, listen, man, Brady has been
through that. We know Brady can of the ball fine
and the elements playing in New England for a couple

(23:04):
of decades. So yeah, I think that's what we're looking at.
I think that the the old guys and we'll get
into that game coming up here. But the combined age
with Breeze and Brady is eighty five years old. That's
we have on the field today. It's amazing. But yeah,
I think whoever is winning that game is going to
the bowl. That's my prediction, Andy Ferman. I love your predictions,

(23:25):
you know I do. But he's probably no on, Andy Ferman.
You get us at eight seven seven ninety nine Fox
eight seven seven s nine or at the No Show
or at Andy Firm and FSR. But when you have
the itch, you gotta make the move. We'll explain all
that next, but first, a man with the itch himself,
Brian Fedly with the latest Daddy. Yeah, thanks so much,
dad In Brian, the Bills wipe and flushed down the

(23:50):
Raven seventeen three. In the FC Divisional round, Lamar Jackson
tossed a game cementing pick six in the second half.
Jackson three for one sixty two yards. He was sacked
three times before ducking out of the contest with a concussion.
In the second half. Josh Allen had two hundred six
yards passing, including a three yard score to Stefon. Digs

(24:10):
and Buffalo parades into the a f C Championship for
the first time since nine. The Packers vaporized the Rams
eighteen and NFC Divisional action. Green Bay rambled off points
in its first five possessions. Aaron Rodgers went for close
to three yards passing, connecting on two touchdown tosses, including
one Dalan Lazard for fifty eight yards. The Pack will

(24:33):
host the NFC Championship next week, playing the winner of
today's Bucks Saints affair, and as NFL Network points out,

report limitations apply, and finally, James Stardom, after complaining his
way out of Houston, plays inspired in his NETS debut,
recording a triple double on Saturday with thirty two points
as Brooklyn Dice is up the magic one two one fifteen.
Now back to Brian No and his co host, who's
the radio version of the movie Rudy No. Not because

(25:38):
he's inspiring, but because he has the same physique as
that Reddy Rudy and knows also what it's like to
get cut from sports teams. It's Andy Furman. You know
you're really coming on strong today. He really started. Okay, alright, okay,
we'll see, Okay, this might be a mistake, and I
think we just heard a real big mistake. But that's okay.
We'll get to him in an hour. We'll get to
that in a minute. But right now, he's Brian Ahm,

(25:59):
Andy Ferman. We Fox Football Sun, they on Fox Sports
Radio and of course Bronx Talk Radio. In less than
ten minutes. But one of the biggest stories of the
week was the Urban Meyers story going to the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, however,
we have our weekly calling with Marcel. We'll talk to
him and we'll get back to Urban Marcel. How are you.

(26:20):
How's life in Brooklyn? It is a okay, thank you,
good morning, Andy Furman and Bryan No there is no
L in your name. You got that right, Marcel? How
are you feeling this morning? The bills are are in
the the bills are on fire Buffalo last night. Are

(26:41):
you sure about that? Yeah, it's going to be short
for about it. And now this player of the morning,
Andy and Brian and to Brian's you know, is Troyn
Johnson one one yards swinger? Right there, Marcel changed everything.

(27:05):
The back breaker, the bills Mafia is a bill's breaker instead.
By the way, Marcel, I'm looking at a commercial here.
They're showing salmon. Are you a salmon fan? Salmon fan?
You don't like Samon? I love Samon? The submarine all
the submarine. I like that. There you go, you go.

(27:26):
And now, gentlemen, since Mr Fenley didn't have a sound
bite for that play of the tamwhen Johnson on one yards,
the NBC Sports got the one one yards? Good, have
a sound bite for you guys. Really is this, al Michaels? Yeah,

(27:47):
let's go. So I'm gonna play for that for you guys,
and then let me know what do you guys think? Yeah,
it sounds like a New York City subway station. No,

(28:11):
alright's enough of that, really, we don't need that final
was on NBC. I like that. Marcel's bringing audio to
the table. It's amazing, it really is. He's gonna want
to pay check soon. He's gonna want to check all right.
We got our band putting audio clips together. You know
this is some elbow grease, right, This is Marcel making
moves on the show here. That's great. Yeah, working a

(28:33):
little too hard for us. All right, that's it. Let's
get Robert in here and then we'll go back to
Urban Maya. Robert, You're on Fox Sports Radio with Brian
No and Andy from Hello, Robert, How are you good, brother?
How are you doing? Man? Great? Great? Yeah, I'm just
ready to talk about any football I'm here, my friend,
we're huge football fans, so any topic we're happy about.
What do you want to talk about? Like? What is

(28:55):
your okay? I'm a I'm a die hard Cowboys fan,
my friends a hard Chargers fan. You know, it was
a pretty tough season for us, but you know we
got dan Quinn now deep as a coordinator and pretty
excited about that. So what do you think about him?
Dan Quinn? Never heard of him? Yeah? Where are you guys?

(29:20):
At quite? Where are you guys calling from What is
the backdrop with this call here? I'm just curious, Robert. Okay,
we're here in Los Angeles. We just got back from
where we come back. We came back from the bar
with some friends. See, I know it, I know it. Okay, Okay.

(29:41):
Was it a good evening? It was a great night.
I mean, you know, because the kovid can't do too much.
But we had a good time too, good an evening.
It's my birthday. Yeah, it's my great birthday here, happy birthday. There.
You go. All right, we'll get into that. We really
will go back to sleep and sleep it off. Go
sleep it off. And we've got to talk about urban Meyer.
All right. But Brown's you know, and we're well, he

(30:01):
came from the bar. He got confused, really so, but
there's Urban Meyer story. I want to get into this.
There's a lot of layers to this story as well.
First of all, people said that he wasn't gonna coach anymore. Uh,
he had health issues. I think that when you had
the desire and the passion to do anything in life,
you're gonna stay with that passion. His passion as a coach,
and look, I think he did a wonderful job on

(30:22):
Fox TV, and I'm gonna miss him. On TV, he
showed a different side. He had a personality, he didn't
take himself too seriously on TV, whereas a coach, he like,
he's unbelievable. Really, just like, don't talk to me, get
away from me. So, you know, I'm happy to see
that there are two sides of Urban Meyer. Well, he's
gonna need that side in the NFL. And I'm not
saying that he should just brush off the losses and

(30:45):
be like, yeah, you'll win some, you lose some, no
big deal. But he can't let those losses torment him
because the losses in college, they were impacting his health significantly.
So he won eighty five percent of his games in college, Andy,
no one's winning of their games. In the NFL, You're
gonna be losing a lot more games. So he's gonna

(31:07):
find that balance. You always talk about a work life balance.
He's got to find a win loss balance where he's
not allowing those losses to practically kill him. So that's
gonna be one of his big challenges in the NFL
for a guy who's not used to losing at all.
Taking over Jacksonville they're gonna be some bumping moments for
the first couple of years, and it's just the way

(31:28):
it goes. Man, there's so much more parody. You're gonna
lose a lot more games like that goes for Belichick,
goes for anybody, but certainly when you're taking over Jacksonville
and they've made it to the playoffs one time in
thirteen seasons and be a lot of losing. So he's
gonna have to find a way to deal with that
early on. And he will lose. And I'm talking about
even if you finished nine and seven. That's gonna eat
him up because that's losing to him. I mean, he's

(31:50):
not used to it. Kenny handle it. But again, I
think what he needs to do is surround himself with
other coaches who have had some NFL experience, and that's
the staff he needs to get together, and I hope
he will. He's got to be small enough to do that,
because look, I think there's something to be said about
a guy coming from college without any NFL experience. He
needs to have some experienced guys around him. Yeah, sure,

(32:13):
a obviously, but I think this Andy where if he's
able to win a Super Bowl in the NFL. I
would take urban Meyer's resume over Nick Saban's. That's what
interests me where Nick Saban is unbelievable. He's won seven championships.
We know his credentials. But urban Meyer with three national championships,
if he's able to win a super Bowl, if he's

(32:35):
even able to get to a Super Bowl, I would
take that resume over Nick Saban's because look at Nick
Saban in the in the NFL fifteen and seventeen with
the Dolphins. If urban Meyer is going to be the
guy who had major college success and then has NFL
success on top of that, I think that's gonna be
a better resume at the end of the day than

(32:55):
Nick Saban. Right. But I will say this about Nick Saban.
I understand that he had a rocky deal in the NFL,
but his ball club, Miami, refused to draft Drew Brees
for fear of a shoulders problem. And I think things
could have changed dramatically if Drew Brees would have been
on his roster. That's all I'm saying. Now, you're right,
I mean to acquire him the trade for him from
the Chargers, and they were afraid because of his shoulder,

(33:18):
So I mean, things could have been a lot different
for him. Well yeah, but they didn't get him and
they went the way they went right. So we'll see
with Trevor Lawrence and urban Meyer whether it works or
not in Jacksonville. That's an interesting combo in the NFL,
and all of a sudden, Jacksonville is a lot more
interesting with those two dudes. And also it's it's a

(33:39):
college town. It's more of a college field there. So
when you get urban Meyer, who is obviously a huge
deal in college football, all of a sudden, you've got
some juice. And that's rare for Jacksonville to be able
to say that we've got some juice right now. But
you make that hiring of urban Meyer, you draft Trevor Lawrence,
and all of a sudden, you're an interesting team. And

(34:01):
I think that you can make some noise in that
division where you look at Indie and what's their quarterback situation.
You look at the Titans. They're good, but they're not
a juggernaut. And then the Texans outside of Deshaun Watson,
that roster is a disaster. He won't be there anyway,
he won't be on that team. I don't know about that, man.
I'm not sure that they get rid of him. I'll

(34:22):
be to that. But here's my question. I mean, you're
involved with the ownership of Jacksonville, and obviously that Urban
Meyer is a Broadway name and his big name. We'll
get it. And the question is Eric B. Enemy guys
enough as a coordinator on a Super Bowl championship team.
Would you not take a guy who's been in the

(34:42):
NFL over a guy who's never coached in the NFL.
That's all I'm saying. I'm gonnam. I get it. It's
about business, it's about vision, it's about selling tickets, and
Eric the Enemy will not sell the amount of tickets
that Urban Meyer. I wouldn't got the splash Urban maya God. Well.
I don't think it's just the Enemy versus Urban Meyer.
I mean, good lord, he's got three national championships. But

(35:03):
if you compare Urban, if you compare Eric B. Enemy
to some of the other coaching candidates, think about Joe Judge,
who got the Giants job last year as a special
teams guy. I don't think it's just Urban versus Eric B.
B Enemy. I think it's Eric B. Enemy versus every
other coaching candidate and some of them who have landed
jobs and will continue to land jobs. But we'll get

(35:23):
into all of that. Like that's classic Andy Furman, right,
we gotta go to break and you're like, what about
the enemy. It's like, dude, we've got ten minutes on him, easy,
you know, and we'll do that. We'll do it later on.
He's BRIANO. I'm Andy ferman Is. Sometimes these conversations lead
to fisticuffs. Yes, but we going off to the Bronx.

it's time to channel your inner New York Here. We
want to hear all the rationalities you can spew on
the hottest topics of the day. Here's something we like

(36:33):
to call Bronx Talk Radio, posted by the Great Christmas.
Oh my what, it's a beautiful freaking day in the
Bronze said, you know why, freaking know why because we
finally have an update to the greatest number one sport
in the Bronx. I'm not talking about Robert Slots the
freaking Jets over there. I'm not talking about what happened
with the Yankees. Well, that's insanely good. Let's go get

(36:55):
that ring right now. I'm talking about organized crime. Okay,
what we got with this, well, we got here has
some real good fellas stuff right here. So eleven Gambino
family associates just pled guilty to various charges of organized crime.
And among those details one guy, actually three guys who
are trying to shake down a shop owner for an

(37:15):
annual payment of four hundred dollars because apparently that's how
little money is left in the mafia game. Now, to
do this over four hundred dollars for an annual payment.
It's about the respect, fact over It's about about the
freaking respect. Talking to me, are you talking to me? Listen?
Respect is five, But I'm just saying you can make
a lot more at a legitimate job. Anyway. This these

(37:37):
guys would trying to shake down a pizza joint for
again four hundred dollars for the year, and Gino Gabrielli
with his friends he has his name's freaking Gino over here, uh,
tried to set fire to the pizza shop owner's car.
Video system recorded this, pouring a substance on the car,
the car erupting in the flames, and Gabrielle running away
with his pant leg on fire. Love that that is

(38:02):
like real life good Fellas slash casino type stuff right there.
I don't think they will fill in the movie. Maybe
they were filming a movie. Ray Leoda didn't set himself
actually set himself on fire for four hundred freaking dollars.
Yeah that's true over there, But you know that's what
it's It's about the freaking respect over here. Do not
like I'm just saying, oh, they look they do not

(38:24):
look like ray Leoda. They look like Staten Island over here. Yeah. Wow. Anyway,
Now let's go to the NBA. Big story out of
the NBA, and it's not with the Brooklyn Nets it's
with the Golden State Warrior. Kelly Oubre. Uh, it's law
it's girlfriend. Lawsuit time is my favorite time of the year.
Kelly Ubre in the lawsuit filing, claims his ex girlfriend

(38:45):
is trying to extort him out of three million and
that he she would smear his name if he doesn't
pay up. It's already smeared. It's already smear like you
put cream chees on a bit. I said smear, not
schmear thing you're gonna. I wonder what the story is
behind that. But three milk? Good lord? Well this this

(39:06):
is also part of some claims that going on for
a freaking while over here. Back in twenty nine. She
he claims that she became an absolute nightmare if they
broke up. Claims she stole his two dogs, Soul and Saint,
slashed the tires on his car, and refused to leave
the house that they were renting in Brooklyn Hills. So
that's a problem because you're probably gonna owe some back rent.

(39:26):
I've gotta go out on a limb and say these
two shouldn't be together. You think maybe they need some counseling.
You don't know, maybe they just needed they don't belong together.
This is a little bit too much. She's taking pictures
with his dogs and she's holding a gun and everything,
and yeah, yeah, let's let's move it along there on
that relationship. Yeah, that's not gonna work out anyway. Speaking

(39:48):
of freaking relations over here and speaking about the curfew,
and you know, you gotta take it seriously because up
in Quebec a couple was fine for being outside after
COVID nineteen curfew Montreal, Quebec. They're trying to scurb the
virus spread over there. All right, Yes, it is good.
Sharebrook priests, Sharebrook police, excuse me, find a woman and

(40:11):
a man dollars for being out after curfew. Now here's
where it gets important. The man was on a leash
being walked by the woman. Now she should be fine
for that. Well there, hold up there, Kurt's so according
to the officers her in her defense, she says that
she is was allowed to walk her dog after curfew.

(40:33):
So I want to ask you, does she have a case.
I would hope that. I would hope that because that's
what everybody outside is gonna be doing over there. We
just heard from Robert coming back from the bar. You
got to put a leash on you, and you're okay.
There was a lot of men out there that would
probably like that, and you know that to be true.
You absolutely knew that true true. Don't listening to Fox Sports.

(41:00):
Does anyone remember this rule? What happened? That's coming right up?
But first let me tell you it's that time. It's
time to wake up, wake up. Let me hear you.
That's not good enough, It's good all right. He's Brian No,
I'm Andy Ferman. Together we call it Fox Football. Suddenly
a Fox votes ready and we're probably brought to you

Yes Nielson Report limitations apply. And now let me say
it's that time for me to introduce my friend, my partner,
the brain of the offer, that man who steers the ship.

(41:43):
The hottest work come in in the media today, the
one and only for Ryan No. Hello be how are
you great? Andy? You know I'm hoping for more drama today.
We lacked drama with the ball. Yesterday there was a
runaway with the Bills after the pick six at the
end of the third courter. Not a great game in

(42:05):
terms of the play and low scoring and all that, right,
and also the Packers game, it could have been closer.
I'm hoping for more drama today, but you'll get it.
And I think there was some drama in the Bills
game because it was about three three and then it
was ten three, and then all of a suddenly the
hundred one t d on the pick six, So I
think there was a little drama there. But the the
Packer game over the Rams start to eighteen, that was

(42:27):
kind of a left for Really. Yeah, I'm just saying
I need more drama, that's all. So hopefully we get
it today. I think the best chance for it is
in that Buck Saints game. I'm curious how close the
Browns will keep it. I'm looking forward to both games, Andy,
And I think with that running game with the Browns
against the Chiefs, like that's that blow blew my mind.

(42:49):
The Chiefs this year they allowed three yards per rush
before making first contact. Think about that. The ball carrier
every time averaged three yards per rush before anyone on
the Chiefs defense even touched the guy like, that's not
a good recipe when you're going up against the Browns
and they're running games. So hopefully the brown is gonna

(43:11):
make a game with this, hopefully it'll be close late.
I want to see fourth quarter games, right. I want
to see one possession fourth quarter games today. Right. I
want to see field goals. I want to second to
go to win the game and hit the post again,
That's what I want to see. I want. Yeah, I
love that, you know, And it's funny that you mentioned
with the doing and they're doing has really been popularly,
especially yesterday Baltop missed two of them. But my question

(43:33):
is this years back, if you remember look at the
history of the National Football League, they didn't have the
one pole with the two uprights. They had two poles
and the upright score side by side, like not parallel
of course, but not as high. So basically some of
these doings would have may have been field goals back
in the day because those stanchions, if you will to

(43:57):
put the points of the field goal, we're not as
high as they are now. What the hell are you
talking about? Like, you know, if you go back and
look at pictures of the NFL back in the day. Uh,
the field goal, I could the uprights, they were not
as high as that's a lot easier to understand, where

(44:19):
like one pole and the other pole, and they're two
different uprights. If I used to turn uprights, it may
not be people and are already doing what I'm talking
about upright, So I try to make the polls. They'll
call them poles. Maybe I don't, but they are uprights,
You're right, Okay, I'm just thinking of like a high
school field where the uprights were they barely went up
like they were very very shallow. So okay, yeah, I

(44:42):
hear what you say. Those uprights go up pretty high. Um,
but yeah, it's a different day and age, man, you
gotta you gotta kick it between the poles. You know.
That's where we're at now, exactly right, all right, But
let's go on the NFL. Put it on hold for
a segment. We gotta do a little bit of a
discussion on this Urban Meyer going from the college ranks
basically to Jacksonville and the NFL. And we'll see how

(45:04):
he does. And I wish him well, but you know,
obviously history is not really positively on his side, because
not many of these coaches from the college ranks had
a lot of success going to the NFL. But I
will tell you this, and I mentioned this prior to
the break after the first hour, the Rooney Rule. You know.
I look, I don't want to start up a pot here,
but the Rooney Rule, to me, it's a shape. It's

(45:25):
a shame, it's a sham, it's a joke, and it's
a waste of interviewing time. Because look, I went on
NFL dot com and it said that yes, Eric b
Enemy was granted an interview with Jacksonville. Whatever that means
with it face to face? Was it by phone? Was
it a zoom? I don't know, But I do know
when I read over the past week that urban Meyer
spent several days in Jacksonville, that I do know. I mean,

(45:49):
the Rooney Rule wasn't designed for, you know, it to
directly lead to all of these minority hirings. Like I
think a lot of people look at the Rooney Rule
and expected to do something that it wasn't designed to do,
you know, Like it was supposed to get more minorities
interviews and hopefully lead to jobs, but it was never

(46:14):
designed to all right, directly, we're going to get jobs
for minorities, you know what I mean. Like, there's a
difference between an interview and actually landing the job. So
when I hear this Rooney rule, it's like you're holding
it to a standard that the rule wasn't designed to
accomplish initially. That's important. Yeah, the rule was just to

(46:34):
give them a chance to be interviewed, a chance to
get the job. I understand. I get that. And also
I'll go one step further. I think it's a ridiculous
rule because if I'm an owner, I want to hire
whom I want to hire with my money. Don't tell
me what I gotta do. How to view him. Yeah,
I'll give him an interview, but I know in my
heart of heart school I want to hire. I want
to hire Urban Meyer period that for any reason. I'll

(46:54):
tell you why. Maybe because he's more of show business
than Eric the Enemy. That's all I'm saying. He's gonna
sell me more tickets. Well, I think that a lot
of people look at what only is the downside, and
there are drawbacks with it. Sometimes these teams they know
who they're going to hire, and then it turns into
a sham where it's like, Okay, we gotta check a box.
Let's interview this minority candidate to appease the Rooney rule,

(47:17):
and then we can go and hire who we want
to hire. Like that is the worst case scenario, but
that's not the only case scenario. There are times where
my minority candidates are going to be able to interview
and they're not gonna get the job, but they get
a chance to go through the process and that can
be valuable. Right, Like, we're hearing this now. Whether it's
true or not, I don't know, but you're hearing whispers

(47:40):
and murmurs if you will, Andy that Eric b Enemy
isn't the greatest interviewee, he's not created at interviewing for
a job. What helps you get better? Is it? Absolutely
so to make it sound like there's nothing but drawbacks here,
And that's the way you hear the Rooney rule talk
about quite a bit. I raised my hand and I'm like,

(48:02):
it's not all negative, but that that's the conversation is
typically like, oh, it never does anything, never leads to anything.
I'm like, I just disagree. I don't think that's the rule.
And I'll tell you why. Owners will and g MS
as well, will always be steadfast and honestly higher whom
they want to hire, regardless of color, race, age, whatever

(48:24):
it may be. Sex. That's what they're gonna do. So
to have a rule in place like that makes people
crazy thinking that, oh, rooney rule, they must hire I
mine are No. They don't have to hire minorities, but
they have to give them a chance to be hired.
That's the key. That's That's not a stupid rule, like
you get your name in circulation all of a sudden,
you if you're a minority candidate, you interview for a job,

(48:47):
you go through the process. You're practicing right, Maybe you
find soon your plan, what your visions are for that
particular organization. There are some positives. It's not always a negative.
It's not all he's just all right, let's check a
box and get through with this thing, and we have
no interest in hiring this guy. Believe it or not,
it has worked out at times. There have been some positives.

(49:10):
It's just talked about and dwelled on the negatives. I'm
not telling you there aren't drawbacks. I'm just telling you
there aren't only but drawbacks. That's all I'm saying right.
But the point there is this, I mean, if you're qualified,
it doesn't make it. And maybe I'm maybe on whalleft basically,
but if you're qualified, you will be granted an interview,
regardless of age, sex, color, mine, or whatever, religion. That's

(49:32):
what I think. Maybe I'm just living in a in
a world that's just rose colored, but I think if
you're qualified, you'll be granted at least an interview. As
you say, you've heard, Eric the Enemy may not be
faring well on the interview process, so people are not
hiring him because, yeah, he may have the qualifications. He
worked for Andy reading on Super Bowl team, but maybe
he's not a great quote leader. He can't lead men.

(49:53):
He's a good number two guy. I I don't know, man,
I don't know. I'm just telling you that's what some
people are saying. I don't know if it's true or not.
I know this. I think Eric b Enemy has the
resume to get a crack as a head coach. That much,
I believe, and it's alarming that he hasn't as of yet.
But I do think this Andy too, where if you're

(50:14):
going to consider race as a possible factor in him
not being hired, which is fair, right, Like Joe Judge
got a head coaching opportunity. He was a special teams guy,
you know. Now he was under Belichick and some people
want to get the Belichick you know, mystique at all
that they're hoping to recreate it. So that helps. But
that guy was a special team's guy and got a

(50:36):
gig and Eric b Enemy still hasn't. So it's alarming
that he hasn't gotten a gig. You should consider race, unfortunately.
I think that's a possibility why he hasn't. But I
also think it's important to consider beyond just race, Like,
is it possible that he isn't the great greatest interviewee? Yeah,
it's possible. Is it possible that it's something beyond his race?

(50:59):
Where teams say, I like the resume, I like the candidate,
I'm just not wowed by the candidate, like, and it
goes beyond race. Yeah, of course, of course it does.
But I think the hath the the Rooney rule, hanging
over you and hanging over the public is always gonna
be a situation. Oh why didn't. You're making it out

(51:19):
to be something that it's not. You're making it out
to be like, you're gonna make me interview this guy.
All right, I'm gonna show you by not hiring him.
That's how you're positioning this thing. And maybe it's done
that way. I don't know. You don't think so, not
at all. I don't if they believe in Eric b
Enemy or any minority candidate. Robert Salois got the job
with the Jets. He's the first Muslim head coach ever.

(51:42):
Like this idea that if you believe in a candidate
and and you're just like, man, this guy, I love
his long term plan. I just get a great feeling.
This guy interviews well, but yeah, he's black, So no, thanks, Like, really,
do you really think that's what's going on here? I
would hope not. I would pray I would agree. You
just mentioned Robert Salad. He's gonna be a first year

(52:02):
coach and certainly under the radar, even though he's gonna
be in the largest market, New York City with the Jets.
Do you think he's gonna have more wins next year
than Urban Meyer. These guys are coming in together at
the same time, and urban Meyer is gonna have the
number one pick. It's gonna be Trevor Lawrence. I think,
you know, maybe he'll pick Justin Fields, guy from the state.
I doubt he'd be on drugs. Did not take Trevor Lawrence. Yeah,

(52:24):
I think that. Uh. I think urban Meyer if we
look at the next three years, if it's just a
three year window instead of you know, who knows how
long both of these guys are coaching, but the next
three years, both of these teams are picking at the
top of the draft, where you have Jacksonville one win
last year. The Jets head too, but they're picking one too.
I think that urban Meyer will have more success wins

(52:47):
and losses, wifs in the first three years. And it's
not just like well he's been a head coach before
that helps and winning championships in college. I just look
at I think that it's an easier path to winning,
like we at least oh their quarterback is going to be.
I think highly of Trevor Lawrence. I think he's gonna
have a lot of success. They've got all this cap space,
You've got a ton of draft picks. And I also

(53:09):
think that the a f C South for the Jags,
it's a little bit easier to navigate than the a
f C East for the Jets. If you look at
the division from the Jet standpoint, Andy, the Bills just
won thirteen games, should have won fourteen if not for
Hail Mary by the Cardinals. Dolphins won ten games, right
Like you're pointing out, Oh, by the way, the third
place team is coached by the goat, Bill Belichick. You've

(53:32):
got that to deal with in your division. That's a
lot that's not easy from the Jets perspective, I hear.
I agree. I certainly agree with that, I really do.
It's unbelievable. But we'll move We'll move on right now,
because you're Brian no on, Andy Fermant together. So like
Marcel right there, he's in my head. He's in my head,
he really is. I mean, I don't know why, but

(53:53):
and he's playing that NBC because it's sounds like a riot.
It sounded like Bronch Talk radio with the Riots and
the Street. But we move on. All that, hear, And
when you say, in your head is the rejoined music
that Chris played a little bit earlier where it's from
the Cranberries in your head? In your head? Are you
a fan of that song and not guns and Pomps?

(54:15):
I know you're telling me to stop singing, but you
don't like right there, Andy Ferman, don't sing all you want?
Singing all you want, Brian No, Andy Ferman, get us
on Twitter at the no show and NOI show at
Andy Fermin FSR. And yes, I will give the number
at eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven
seven sixty nine. And of course we have rapid fire
this hour. We have bottom Barrow betting this hour. Nose

(54:36):
picks an our number three. But if you want a
change of scenery, just yell, scream and cry. That's next.
Don't listening to Fox Sports. He's part of a big three.
But will it working? Yeah, he's Brian No, I'm in
the Firman. It's is Fox Football Sunday on Fox Puts Radio.

(54:56):
By the way, we approbably brought here. I discovered this
of the matches, all the cash back. You aren't on
your credit card at the end of your first year.
It's amazing. Why because discovers accepted at places in the
US that take credit cards. Learn more discovered dot com
slash Yes Nielson Report limitations apply, And of course, of
course at the bottom of the hour, rapid fire right

(55:19):
here on Fox Football Sunday. But right now we've got
players out are whining and crying and want to get
moved to the Rockets of Houston. Finally folded, they gave in,
and they traded out of shape James Harden to the
Brooklyn Nets. And now he's a hero. Now he's a here.
He scored thirty points last night for Brooklyn. He's a hero.
He's kind of claimed that he's got it done. You

(55:40):
know what, though, I'm fed up with it, I really am.
You don't want to play there? And you and again,
b I ask you this, would you want a guy
on your team as a GM or a coach who
wines and cries if it doesn't get his own way?
Where you want that guy? Come on? Well, I think
there's a big difference here with what you have to
do to get out and what you do on your

(56:01):
next team. Like take a couple of examples here. Look
at Jamal Adams with the Jets. He was tweeting up
a storm against the Jets organization in an effort to
get somewhere else, and he was traded to Seattle and
when he was healthy, he played good football. Right if
you look at Jimmy Butler, better example, Jimmy Butler forced

(56:23):
his way out of Minnesota and he was unbelievable for
the Miami Keat last season. So I think it's dangerous
to judge a guy what he's doing to get out
of a situation as if that's what he's gonna do
in the next organization. Like I had a breath of
fresh air, I think that being in Brooklyn, it's gonna
be like nutral systems for James Harden. Now he came in,

(56:43):
he's out of shape, he's heavier than he normally is.
I think you're gonna see the more of the slim
down version of James Harden where he's actually committed, and
he started off. He's the first guy with a thirty
point triple double in his debut for a new team.
So he played great last night. We'll see how it
works out. They sure are interesting though, I'll say that much.
I tell you what though. I mean he's on the

(57:04):
team with another crack Pott and that's Kyrie Irving. I mean,
I don't know. He may have fallen off the earth
of because the earth is frack. What is that? Like?
What I mean, guys crazy? I mean really, I mean
just walking away I mean, I I don't understand his logic.
I just don't understand what Kyrie is has accomplished with
all his yelling and screaming and xantics. That's what you

(57:25):
call it about. I don't get it. I really don't. Well,
I don't understand what Kyrie is doing at all. He's
basically stealing money, going a wall, and that's the thing.
He's putting the nets in a really, really bad position.
Where if we still don't know why he's not playing.
He's missed five games due to personal reasons. It hasn't

(57:45):
been publicized. We don't even have a ballpark idea. It's
just guessing as to why Kyrie hasn't been there. I
think it's best for the organization if you at least
do right by them and put out the ballpark. I
understand why you might not want to give specifics, depending
on what it is, Like if it's a family issue,
you might not want to say, hey, here's what's going on.

(58:07):
This specific person in my family is sick. That's what
I'm dealing with. You might not want to be that,
you know, descriptive if you will, But if you say, hey, man,
it's a family issue, all right, there's something I'm dealing with.
That's good enough. We don't even have the ballpark of
why Kyrie Irving left. They were playing the Nets, were
playing against the Nuggets. Recently, he was on a zoom

(58:30):
call with a Manhattan d A candidate, and it's just like, okay,
but you can't treat your profession like it's a hobby.
That's what Kyrie is doing right now. Yeah, and I
like the situation that happened in UH with the Rockets,
when in fact they lost. I guess you could say
got rid of Hardened because his teammate, DeMarcus Cousin, he

(58:51):
went crazy. He said that Colin Hardens, they were disrespectful
the antics and unfair to the rest of the players
on the roster, which I didn't expect Marcus Cousins, of
all people, to be saying something like that. I loved it.
I loved it. And they asked him the question, would
you want to play on a roster with a team
with a teammate like that who did something like that?
And he kind of hemden on a little bit, said

(59:13):
I'd like to see I I whatever, he could play
against us. I don't know, he says, he doesn't really
care right now playing against him. But I liked I
liked his remarks, I really do, because you don't normally
see a player come out and say that. And that's great,
it really is. It was disgusting. I don't like what
he did. I really don't. Well, yeah, and he was
talking about being out of shape and not committed and

(59:36):
the effort during games and all that stuff. Yeah, and
he was like, but hey, listen, man, it's part of
the business. Like he understood. It was disrespectful, but you
understood that's what James Harden needed to do in some
regard to get out of there and force his way
out to a new team. And so that's hey, man,
it's water under the bridge right now. It's all about
does it work with the nets? And it's one of

(59:58):
these deals Andy, where man, you talk about being all
in four first round picks, four pick swaps. That is
the definition of all in for Brooklyn. They win a championship,
it's worth it. If they don't, this is a colossal failure.
It's really that simple. And I think this, Andy, I
think that it's not going to work, but they have

(01:00:20):
enough firepower where it could. I'm not gonna sit here
and be like, no chance, no how it's got a chance.
I just don't see it working out. I'm with you.
I don't think it's gonna work. You know. But you've
got guys like Harden and Durant. They've combined to win
seven of the past eleven NBA scoring titles coming into
the season this year, So I I just don't know
if there's enough balls. I don't know if there's enough
experience on the coaching side to keep these guys in check.

(01:00:43):
And I don't even know if Kyrie is gonna come back.
So I don't know. I just don't know. But I
do know one thing. James Harden, who was being pushed
and pushing to be traded for months, he said and quote,
the Rockets just aren't good enough. I don't know if
I want to take a chance what a guy like
that on my team. If the team starts to falter
and he's going to go public and say, well, I
want to get out of Brooklyn list and not good enough,

(01:01:04):
That's what's I still think. Man, you gotta be careful
about this, Andy. Where it'd be like this if you
are in a relationship and it's run its course and
you're like I I went out, I went out of
this one. You know, like how you behave in that
relationship might not be the way you behave in every
relationship going forward. You know what I'm saying. Like for

(01:01:27):
James Harden to come out and say, yeah, we're just
not good enough. He regretted saying it, but it was true.
They aren't good enough. Like that, that's that breaking news.
We've known for years that the Rockets aren't good enough,
and especially the roster they had at the end here
with James Harden. Even if James Harden was fully committed,
they're not good enough. So he wasn't saying anything that

(01:01:48):
was untrue. It's just it was unprofessional to say. But
he was part of that quote not good enough. It's embarrassing.
It's it's disgusting as well as embarrassing. He was part
of it, right, Yeah, but it's still true. Right do
you think fully committed James Harden with John Wall who's
had injury issues, Boogie Cousins who's had numerous injury issues,

(01:02:12):
like the chemistry coming to gather the continuity who they
have to face in the Lakers, the Clippers in the West, Like, no,
they weren't good enough even what they slim down completely
committed James Harden, they were not good enough in Houston, right,
And there's a chance. Maybe I'm just thinking I'm the
only one thinking this. Dis a chance he may say
that again if Brooklyn doesn't win, and I don't want

(01:02:33):
a guy like that disrupting my team. The guy is
somewhat toxic, and he's coming together with another guy like
Kyrie Irving who wants to play like a direct league,
like I'll play twice a week, and his take off.
I don't understand it. I don't understand how you let
that happen. Look at Jimmy Butler, this idea of like
you could have played the same card, Like what's he
gonna do with Miami. You see what you're getting the

(01:02:54):
practice in Minnesota and he's yelling at his teammates and
he's carrying on and maybe he's gonna do this in
Miami like and he didn't. He was fantastic there. So
all I'm saying is I understand why you would be
worried and thinking, hey, is this gonna happen again. All
I'm saying is there's a difference when you're trying to
force your way out of a certain situation that you've
been in for years and years and years, and now

(01:03:16):
all of a sudden, Brooklyn it's the bright, new shiny
thing in the eyes of James Harden, Like why is
he gonna want to mess with that? Like he's this
is a breath of fresh air for the guy. So
for a while, there's gonna be a honeymoon period. And
I don't think it's likely that he's just gonna be like, yeah,
we're not good enough for he's trying to I don't know,
like basically jack up that situation that he's hoping is

(01:03:40):
what he's seeking. So I think I don't think that
he's gonna be that guy for a while. I think
there's definitely a honeymoon period, and I agree with that,
but I will tell this, he'll be into a rude
awakening with the media in New York that covers the
Brooklyn Nets, so I think that's a lot different than Houston.
But there's one newspaper in Houston, and New York got
about eight papers that cover the team, and you've got

(01:04:02):
all the media outlets and radio and TV's a lot different,
a lot different. But look, man, he's faced harsh criticism before.
I don't think that's gonna be a big deal. I
just want to see how it works with those three players.
Kyrie is coming back, like that's not a question if
he's gone for good, Like he'll be back. But does
it work with those three I can't wait to see it.

(01:04:25):
I think Andy, it's one of the most interesting teams
in the history of the NBA. There's certainly the most
interesting team right now. You just have to see if
it works or if it's a train wreck. But I
put it alongside some of the more interesting teams ever,
like how does this work with those three guys? But
you got to watch it. Yeah, no doubt. And I'll

(01:04:46):
tell you the good news is it's happening in a
major media market, so they'll get some coverage. And I
think it's good for the league if basically there's no
COVID situations in the league because that happened, I would
have way more question marks about Kyrie going forward than
Jay is hardened. I get like James Harden was forcing
his way out Kyrie irving that guy is the vice
president of the n b p A right, like he's

(01:05:09):
on the leadership committee. Try making COVID protocols and all
this stuff. And he's the one out at his at
the birthday party with his sister and maskless going a wall,
and it's like, dude, you're in a position of leadership
among the entire league and you're doing stuff like this.
I have way more questions about Kyrie going forward. Agreed. Agreed,

(01:05:30):
Brian no andy from it together. We call the Fox
Football Sunday right here on Fox Books Radio. And sometimes
you need just a few minutes to get things off
your chest. Rapid fire is next, but first, let Brian
Finley get things off his chest with the latest. At
least I don't have his haira of a chest as
you do. The Bills rupture the Raven seventeen three in
the a f C Divisional Round on Saturday. Baltimore quarterback

(01:05:53):
Lamar Jackson completed the past two Bills Taryn Johnson, who
bolted one one yards for the touchdown action, later had
a concussion in the game. Baltimore place kicker Justin Tucker
had one no actually, two of his field goals glanced
off the upright posts. After the game, Buffalo quarterback Josh
Allen volunteered at shoulder massages to his team's defense. The

(01:06:16):
way our evens stopped the run. I mean the game
plan was executed. Superfectional game. Um, you know, offensively, we
got to think about a job you can stepped up
and again let's playoff football. It doesn't matter how it looks,
you get it done. Alan did that interview inside the
Team Jacuzzy. The Packers scratch out the Rams eighteen in

(01:06:40):
the NFC Divisital till Aaron Rodgers accounted for three touchdowns,
including one on the ground. Ram Signal College Jared Goff
was sacked four times Sean McVeigh and the postgame pressure
was asked if Goff is his starting quarterback moving forward,
and McVeigh simply replied, Goff is our quarterback right now
with raises some questions, Brian, as you would imagine. Yeah,

(01:07:06):
that he's telling you exactly where they stand on GoF
when you say that that psychological projection, because you Andy
are full of it, all right, moving right along? Yeah,
And I'm just getting today, I'm getting a little hot.
Used to be creative and funny, now you're nasty. Well,
I don't know, I think I'm both. Green Bay will
host the NFC Championship Game. And face the winner of

(01:07:28):
today's Buck Saints matchup, and his NFL and NFL network
indicates New Orleans leaning towards sidelining quarterback Taysom Hill who's
got a hurt knee, running back Lettavious Murray bogged down
with a quadriceps injury, so they are likely not going
to play today. And then Tampa Bay ball carrier Ronald Jones,
who's nursing quad and finger ailments, will know his game
status right before kickoff as he is evaluated in the pregame.

I don't like a compliment he got me on that one. Andy,
I was like, wait a minute, I don't understand. I mean,
maybe be you could help me. I'm talking that the
main be Brian No, what have I done wrong for
this young man? What have I done. You were not
there for him in his formative years. That's just what

(01:08:36):
happened during adolescence. I didn't teach him how to shave.
That was it? All right? We move on anyway. It
is time for rapid fire. Right here, we crossed the
fifty oddeline. Will be call Fox Football Sunday. So it's
rapid fire time. We're gonna go around the room today.
So Mace chose some music. Please, rapid let's go. Andy
Furman and Brian no are locked and loaded for this

(01:08:59):
week's round up NFL rapid Fire Browns that Chiefs. Alright,
Browns and Chiefs. This will be very easy because hey,
the Browns defense forced three quick turnovers and the offense
handed the deal and closed the deal. Last week they
were leading twenty eight JIP with about a minute fifties
six in the first quarter against the Steelers. Yet the

(01:09:21):
Browns are pushovers, but they're not gonna do much to
push over Kansas City today. So I got the Chiefs
in that game. Mr. No, Yeah, I just don't trust Baker.
I mean really, they're gonna lean on their running game
quite a bit. The Browns are, but Baker is gonna
have to make plays, and I just don't see him
making enough when you're going up against Mahomes, and Mahomes

(01:09:43):
is facing a defense I don't think very highly of.
Baker is gonna have to make a lot of plays.
And although I don't think that Chiefs are exactly the
five Bears out there, I just don't trust Baker enough
to do enough today. So I've got the Chiefs in
this one, all right, Vane. In my heart of hearts,
I want to pick the Browns, but I just can't

(01:10:03):
do it. Pittsburgh gave him more bolleton board material after
they lost, calling them classless, and I just think that's
good that would be in them, But I just don't
think it's enough to go against the Chiefs. And I
had the Chiefs as my winner at the beginning of
the season, so I'm gonna save that interesting Chris p
two points. So as cool as it was, I went

(01:10:25):
out for a pizza last week when it was seven
and zero and I came back in his zero in
that Brown Steelers game. I just love how you said
that right there. You sound like you're from England or something,
just learning football. I left when it was seven zero.
I would have said nil. Yeah, yeah so, but I
think that game spoke more to the dysfunction of the

(01:10:46):
Steelers than it did anything about the Browns. I think
trust them here, and I think it's hit this point
where it's trendy to doubt the Chiefs. The Chiefs will
give me no reason to doubt them. It would be
a lot chical for me to do so. To this point,
They're the safest bet I have. I think they're gonna
go far in these playoffs. I have the Chiefs in

(01:11:07):
this game, all right, and missed a loudmouth Brian Fenley. Well,
I picked the Browns last week against the Steelers, and Andy,
I'm pretty sure you got that one wrong. I got
it right. What I'm saying is the Browns are a
team that are playing for pride. They're playing to show
people what they're really made of, and they were ready
to take the doubters and throw them away. I've got

(01:11:29):
the Browns winning this thing because what's gonna happen for
Kansas City is they are going to be like the
Seahawks in two thousand fifteen. They win the first Super Bowl,
then they try to repeat and it's just not there.
They get Malcolm butlert I got one thing to say
to you. If it's Brown, flush it down. But they
were in the Super Bowl Brian Finley, Right, yeah, but

(01:11:51):
losing the Divisional Red. Well that year, they did lose
in the super Bowl. But basically what I'm saying is
is they're not going to live up to the hype
back to back years. And you guys have seen it.
They haven't blown anybody out recently. They're just kind of
ho home in along and winning games. But we're not
seeing the explosion that we've seen from Mahomes in the past. Look,

(01:12:12):
they could be had. I just don't think it's gonna
be by the Browns that thank you very much. Okay, Next,
Buccaneers at Saints. Okay, this is great because the regular
season meetings between these two teams, who was almost a joke,
was laughable. The Saints won both with a combined score
of seventy two to six. So I kinda believe the
Saints have their number Saints win today. Brian. No, Well,

(01:12:33):
this Tampa offense is taken off since Week nine, the
last loss against the New Orleans Saints, and Tom Brady
looks great. They are playing really good football. I just
I worry about Tampa's defense. When Taylor Heineke carves him
up last week, I'm like, this should not be happening,
you know. So I I worry more about Tampa's defense

(01:12:55):
than I do New Orleans defense. I know this game
is gonna be about Tom Brady Drew Brees, but it
goes beyond that if you look at the defenses. I
just trust New Orleans more so I've got them winning
this game. Gritting my teeth on this one. Is always
tough for a team to win three straight games against opponent.
These guys know each other front and back. At this point,
they know each other really well. I'm gonna I'm gonna

(01:13:17):
go out on a limb here and I'm gonna say
the Bucks scoring upset here? Whoa crisp? I also have
the Bucks in an upset here because I don't think
we've done enough to really interrogate the return of Drew
Brees or even how good he was this year. Overall,
he's throwing some just ducks out there. He's got very
little velocity or should I say, as the baseball guys

(01:13:40):
would say, v low on his ball right now. It's
it's looking a lot like Peyton Manning in those final years,
and I know everyone can wave in Wayne and say yeah, defense, Yeah,
Alvin Kamara. I don't see it happening here. I don't
know how far I can trust the Bucks in the
next round, but I think they'll pull it out here.
Bryan family. So what Drew Brees is forty two? Tom

(01:14:00):
Brady is forty three? Add that together, that's eighty five.
And still that's younger than Andy Ferman. But I will
continue to go on. I've got the Saints winning this
ball game. I think Drew Brees, while this is probably
his last year, is going to put together something memorable,
something special, and he will get the win. All right,
Next Bucketeers at Saints. That's it. There's no more games.

(01:14:27):
We're gonna do something like the wins for urban Meyer
in his first season. So we can just go around
the room with that one. Here's that Saints. That's okay.
I think coach urban Meyer is gonna win five games.
Next to you, what do you think, be Ah? That
sounds about right somewhere around there. I would yeah, I

(01:14:49):
would say give me pencil me in for I would
say five. I hate to follow your lead, but let's purchase.
Hopefully we're around to check this out next year. But
let's put these back and bury them. Morbid. But yeah,
I hear you, and I understand right, you guys are

(01:15:10):
going kind of high. I was thinking lower. I'm going three. Three. Yeah,
I haven't looked at I'd have to look at the
schedule to really hash it out, but you know, I
could see a two game improvement. But I'm not sure
that Trevor Lawrence is going to be the one fix
at all for everything on that interesting alright, Chris Crisp. Well,
remember we've got seventeen games starting next year, so I'm

(01:15:31):
actually gonna go I'm gonna go. Uh. I think five
is right. I wanted to say four, and then I
reminded myself there are seventeen games. I think I'll go
with five. Here's here's the thing about Jacksonville. I haven't
looked at the twenty one schedule yet. With the picks,
they will improve. I think their schedule does get easier.
I believe they pull uh. I know they're playing the Bengals,

(01:15:55):
and I'm trying to remember who they pulled from the NFC.
I think they pulled the NFC West. I'll tell you quick.
So Jacksonville let's see they've got they played the a
f C East the NFC West, which is a tough division. Yeah,
and they also played the Broncos and the Bengals. Yeah,
but that'll be a nice matchup Trevor, Trevor Lawrence and

(01:16:15):
Joe Burrow. Listen, there's a lot of work to be
done in Jacksonville. I don't think you just walk in
your college guys like this. You don't just walk in
the door and everything is magically fixed. You don't magically
have the eraser that that that wipes away all of
the sucks. Right, Like we're looking at five ish. The
media are acting like this is gonna be a playoffs

(01:16:36):
in the next crazy the talent's not there exactly. And
speaking of talent, not there, Brian Fentley, Okay, well I'm
related to you, so it's a reflection on you. You
got my jeans, you know I do, and I'm not
wearing your ripped jeans. By the way, Jacksonville seven wins
because you guys are not counting for the fact that
the Jags have free agency. They've got a lot of

(01:16:56):
money that they can bring in some good guys, but
they still have to entice people to actually go there.
It's one thing to have money, but who's going there. Well,
they've got a nice young running back. They have other pieces,
and I think that you guys are missing the point
seven wins. Baby. All right, let's mark these down and
we'll check on him in the baby, we'll treat treat
ourselves to a dinner the winner on that. Does that

(01:17:19):
sound good? I don't know how we're gonna do that.
When three of the five went with five wins, we'll
we'll flip a coin, we'll do something. We'll work it out.
We always do, really, but we move on. Brian no

good mood, Andy, because you won last week four and
one for Andy, Brian goes three and two, so you've
gained a game. You are four back now here, right
because we have three weeks left for you to make
a make a run here. You know, brilliant said earlier

(01:18:49):
today you want the drama. The only drama in the
game is this game. There's no drama in the NFL
games on the field. Here's what a drama is. Be
I just want to know right now for Super Bowl Sunday,
are we still looking at just the standard five picks?
Are you gonna be like, oh Andy, We're gonna do
a seventeen picks this morning? Right? Are we still look

(01:19:09):
on Super Bowl? You know, I've I'm still thinking about
whether I want to do a supersized one. But you know,
we only have a few minutes in this segment, so
we can expand can maybe go onto expansion. Maybe that's
what I'm that's what I'm saying. You know, he's afraid.
He's afraid doctor the rules for Andy Fermante. I don't
think I thought. I never asked if you go what

(01:19:32):
happens if Andy makes a run? Here? Come on? It's
a poor game difference here, But we gotta get to
these ones quickly. Its big games today, got some big matchups.
We're gonna start things off the Saints Buccaneers. Saints running
back Alvin Kamara rushing yards against the Sorry Kamara rushing
yards against the Buccaneers over under of eighty nine and

(01:19:54):
a half against that first, okay, and gonna go over.
Oh good, thank you. I have a five game lead now,
under listen to you all right? Tom Brady passing yards
against the Saints over under three d and fifty and
a half. Whoa, that's how I gotta take the under
on that man, that is Ivan. I'm sorry, he's averaging

(01:20:21):
Oh damn, I just closed the thing. He was averaging
like three hundred sixty something. You know what, don't I
don't believe he'll do it, but I'm gonna go over
because I need to catch him, so I need to
do the desperate Here am I rapid fire for a
Chiefs tight end? Travis Kelsey? Total receptions against the Browns
over under six and a half over? I think it's

(01:20:44):
you Andy, What do you like? Okay, I'm sorry, Chris
was in our ear. I go over as well. I
think he's got over that all right. Baker Mayfield total
pass attempts against Chiefs pass attempts over under thirty three
and a half. That a lot. I'll take the under
on that one, alright. And last, but not least, we've

(01:21:06):
got the Chief's quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Total t ds against
the Browns over under three and a half. Now, was
that passing and a running total t ds? All right?
I'll go over total t ds for who again? Mahomes? Mahomes? Oh?
And what's the line? Three and a half? Three and
a half. Yeah, so he's got to get rush or
throw for four. That's a good line by ven A.

(01:21:30):
I'm gonna take the over as well. Nuts unbelievable, okay,
you know This team is gonna need a heavy dose
of this to win. We're gonna tell you what it
is right here on Fox Football Sunday, next Fox Sports.
Why are they even here? That's coming up. But first,

(01:21:54):
it's time, right now to say, wake up America. I
don't hear it. I don't. It's time to wake up.
Yes it is. It is Fox Football Sunday. He's probably no,
I'm in the Ferman. We're probably brought to you by
Discovery because Discovered matches all the cash back you are

(01:22:14):
It's amazing because discovers accepted at places in the US

niels and report limitations apply. And right now, right now,
it's time to introduce my friend, my partner, the man
who makes things go around. There really the brains of
the outphit the one and only Mr Bryan and know

(01:22:39):
what's going on, Andy Ferman. I'm not taking any chances
this morning. Okay, this is the divisional round of the playoffs. So,
like Jerry Jones from the Dallas Cowboys once said, I
ain't messing around, right, I ain't messing around there you go.
I'm going with apple cinnamon. That's so, I'm back on
board the serial bars play for good luck with dramatic

(01:23:02):
playoff action today. We lacked some drama yesterday, hoping for
a king size helping of drama today with the two
games we have on well, I'm gleg you mentioned the
term drama before before we dig into the two games
that are being played today. Hopefully they'll be played a
lot better with a little more interest than the ones yesterday. However,
I want to know why Brian Finley, the update guy

(01:23:24):
of the Stars, is killing me today. I feel like
I like been poked all over the place like a pinata. Really,
I don't understand why he's doing this to me. I
don't get it. I don't understand your question. That's a
silly question. But he always does. He's a little heavier
today than normal, That's what I'm saying. He's get it
up a little bit, says them. Oh you know this,

(01:23:45):
that's how he rolls. Okay, let's move on there. Let's
talk about Brown's chiefs. Who thought that that Cleveland Browns
would be where there are today? I mean, it's amazing.
Do you didn't believe it? Did you honestly that the
Browns will be playing now in the divisional round that
I'm not surprised by this at all. Yeah. I had
a bet with Eddie Garcia, who is an update anchor
right here on Fox Sports Radio. I made a bet

(01:24:08):
with him two years ago that within five years the
Browns would be a playoff team. I was willing Andy
Ferman I said I would jump into Lake Erie Hugh
Jackson style, remember when he did that when they went winless.
I was gonna jump into lake Erie any time of
the year. He could have picked the coldest day of
the year and said jump into Lake Erie. Because the

(01:24:28):
Browns didn't make the playoffs in a five year stretch,
I was willing to put it out there like that. So, yeah,
I believe they would be a playoff team. And then
beating the Steelers last week, I didn't think they would.
But it's not the upset of upsets. It's not it's
were Jugger not But it wasn't a fluke either. I
mean they beat him, they really did. It was twenty
eight nothing in the end of the first quarter. And certainly,

(01:24:49):
you know, the Steelers self imposed on themselves. They killed
themselves with self, they imploded. I meant to say, however,
I want to go back to the city Garcia thing.
What does he have to do now? But she won
the bet right, great question, so he has to. It's
not exactly a polar polar bear plunge. We're calling it

(01:25:11):
the pink Flamingo PLoP is basically what he's doing. Because
he's there in southern California. There is a fountain across
the street from the Fox Sports radio studios. It's right
there by the cheesecake factory, and so he's got to
go over there in that fountain and just kind of
like flop around in it a few times. So that's

(01:25:31):
have you been in contact with him since? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
So we'll be doing it maybe sometime this summer. Will
figure it out. But yeah, I'm gonna try to get
the local news down there. Maybe a couple of celebrities,
you know. I would like to I would like to
kind of like set it up. Don't tell him this,
but I would like to have someone maybe Brian Finley
could dress up like a cop and come over and

(01:25:53):
be like, hey, you're not allowed to do this, kind
of scare him to death. That's what I'm trying to
put together. Yeah, you want give me a favor, let
me know exactly what it's gonna happen, because I'll call
a police department. Well maybe they'll do it with us.
It's gonna real cop. I'm the fan with a cop.
I'm thinking fake but thank no, no, no, I'm in

(01:26:16):
a real cop. That's what we gotta do. Really, you know,
I don't want it to go complete inan Oaks police
department over there and get one guy say look, give
me a favor, just you know, at twelve a, twelve
pm whatever it may be, for ten minutes, just scared
of living the GPS out of this guy handcuff, you know,
just the standards. And at the same time you'll call

(01:26:38):
media TV, so maybe you'll see him getting locked up, hey,
getting the back of the car stuck your head, oh man.
But yeah, But anyway, I'm not surprised that the Browns
are in the playoffs. I'm moderately surprised that they are
alive this week. But again, the Steelers were not exactly
firing in all cylinders. Okay, what they gotta do to

(01:26:58):
win this game, It's to be very off a gulf
want to do to win this game, is Keith Patrick
Mahomes on the bench. How do you do that? They
got the best one to running punch in the National
Football League. Gotta use Nick Chubb. Chubb Chub Chubb, eat
up the clock, keep Mahomes on the bench. That's what
I gotta do. But there's another question, another layer to
this game. We saw Lamar Jackson basically fade away, and

(01:27:19):
on the big stage he's fading away. The more he plays,
the more he fades. Now we talk about the quarterbacking
of Baker Mayfield. You know, this could be a big
deal thing if he wins today because there's a lot
of Baker Mayfield hate. This would be huge, a lot
of big, A lot of Baker haters out there say
he can't get the job done. Well, there are a

(01:27:40):
lot of critics, and look, Baker Mayfield, there are some
holes in his game. We know that. And I think
that he ratchets up the criticism because of the way
he is. You know, like there are a lot of
people that just don't like Baker Mayfield. Terry Bradshaw was like,
I don't like Baker Mayfield. You know, there are a
decent amount of people that feel that way. Um So

(01:28:03):
that's my point, Andy, is I think that there is
there are legit reasons to criticize his game, but when
they dislike him on top of that, the criticism gets
louder and louder. That's just typically how it goes with
Baker and far as far as the critics are concerned, right,
and I'd like to see it how I I don't
see them in any way manner of form more shape

(01:28:24):
how they could beat Kansas City. Yes, Kansas City didn't
really roll over their opponents, like no way, you just
no chance, no how he I. I don't see it.
As a matter of fact, I see about a two
touchdown spread in this game. I really do. The way
it just dawned on me. You had the Steelers crushing
the Browns liked to go to the super Bowl. I

(01:28:46):
said they were a super Bowl team. You know what
I am the kiss of death because every time I
picked something, it goes right down the crapper. It really does.
Not only did I said they'd win, I said the
Steelers would be in the super Bowl. So that that's fight.
Hey listen, we've been wrong before. Whatever, But um, like,
what is it about the Browns team that you don't
buy them to that degree. Is it Baker Mayfield, is

(01:29:07):
it something else. I just don't think that they could
stop Patrick Mahomes. I just don't think they can do that. Hey,
I hear you on that. Like their defense, I I'm
not a fan of their secondary. That's why what you
first said makes all the sense in the world. You
gotta run the football like crazy. You've got to rely
on your offensive line, Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunts instead of

(01:29:27):
your secondary. I believe in the offensive line of the
Browns way more than I believe in the Browns secondary.
So you're not trying to get into some shootout. You're
just trying to chew up the clock, keep Patrick Mahomes
on the sideline, and at least get them off their rhythm, right,
make it a choppy game, that type of thing, like,
make it a little ugly. That's your best chance to

(01:29:48):
beat them today. Yeah, honestly, I think if your Kansas city,
you want Cleveland basically to force Baker to pass to football.
If you gotta beat me, beat me in the air.
You're not gonna beat me on the ground, beat me
in the air. Yeah. Well, if I'm the Chiefs, I'm
I'm absolutely making Baker Mayfield beat us. It's similar to
yesterday with the Bills. The Bills did a good job

(01:30:09):
against the run, and they were like, Lamar Jackson, you're
gonna have to beat us with your arm. If you do,
then we'll tip our caps. But we're not going to
let you beat us doing the thing you do best.
And uh that's where, Yeah, the Chiefs, they should be
selling out against the rush and just making Baker beat them.
It's easier said than done to completely stop the Browns

(01:30:32):
running game, but I think they could slow him down
enough where Baker has to do more than the Browns
want him to do. That should be the objective for
the Chiefs. Well, you know what, I just don't see it.
How they gotta get up to a quick start. That's
the key. I think if the Browns could score first
strike first, and then when Kansas City gets the bull
back on the kickoff hole, then then they got a chance.

(01:30:54):
But if Kansas City comes out on their first series
and scores and maybe they score again, it's good night,
It's all over, because I think they'll be playing catch
up and then they gotta go to Baker, and then
they gotta go to the air and it's not gonna
work that way. I go the other way on that, Andy,
which is I just think of last year when the
Texans were up twenty four to nothing and we see

(01:31:14):
the Chiefs. They came back, they won the game by
twenty points. Say they were down nothing and one by twenty.
But my point is just beyond the quick start, I
think this is about the running game being effective throughout
the game. I would rather have that. If you're giving
me the choice, like, you can either get off to
a great start, and we're talking not twenty eight nothing,

(01:31:34):
I would take that. Let's just say you could get
off to attend nothing start or your running game can
be effective the whole game, or seventeen nothing. I would
take the running game. I think that it's a bigger
deal if the running game is functioning throughout than if
they get off to a good start. Well, I'll tell
you this much. I think that Patrick Mahomes is gonna
shred the secondary of the Cleveland Browns with deep passes

(01:31:56):
to Tyree Hill and Travis Kelsey. That's gonna be the
killer right there. I don't think Cleveland could stop that.
You might be right. The only thing that I dislike
is to talk about the Chiefs as if you almost
have to be perfect across the board to beat this
Chief's team. No, you don't, and yeah they are, they
can be had. I think that there their power, if

(01:32:17):
you will, is being blown out of proportion. I think
they're the team to beat. They are a great, great team,
but they can be beaten. We've seen this down the
stretch and the it's like the second half of the season.
They're winning one possession games left and right. They're not
blowing teams out, they're not crushing teams left and right.
I just hate when it turns into well, you've got

(01:32:39):
to do this right and do that right, and if
you don't do any of the if you do one
thing wrong, it's over. It's that they're not that great.
Like they're great, They're just not that great. It makes
teams great, and you're gonna think I'm I'm really out
of my mind for saying this. I'll tell you what
makes teams great, not they play on the field, not statistics.
What makes teams great. In the minds of many fans
out there is Hollywood. What do I mean by that

(01:33:02):
the Chiefs are a sexy team? They got Patrick Mahomes.
He's doing these State Farm commercials. They got Kelsey, They
got these guys, and people look at their one lost record.
They see them more often than any other team on
TV with commercials. They become very sexy and people think
they're just tremendous. That's what it's all about. It really is.
There might be something there. And Mahomes is electric. We
know how great that dude is. He's insanely good. But

(01:33:25):
I just look at their playoff run last year. That
matters too. Like three and a half quarters, Mahomes didn't
play well like Joe backin Troy Aikman are talking about that,
Like man, he hasn't played well at all. Before the
third and fifteen bomb to Tyreek Hill about seven and
a half minutes to go, right before that wide open

(01:33:46):
receiver just missed the guy. Like the Chiefs. If they
don't complete that third and fifteen bomb due to a
forty Niners breakdown, they're losing that game. Like that matters.
I know that's ancient history, but as it applies to
this host season, it's important to think about that when
a lot of people are blowing their their credentials out
of proportion, like Oh, you gotta you gotta do everything

(01:34:08):
right to beat this team. It's like, no, you don't know,
you don't You can still do a couple of things
wrong and still beat them. Well, if you go back
and you want to see the Browns run the clock
and eat up the clock, look at Kansas Cities game.
There's a low scoring game against the Denver Broncos earlier
this year Denver. I looked this up Denver random bill
thirty three times. They got like a hundred and seventy
nine rushing yards. Melvin Gordon had a run of sixty

(01:34:30):
five yards. That's what they gotta do. I don't know
if they can do it. If they want to control
the clock, that's how you do it, and that Denver
game is a good way. I'm sure that Cleveland Browns
looked at that Denver film. Well. Look, man, it's one
of these deals where I'm not expecting the Browns to
win today. They could give them a tough game. I
don't think they're going to win. I think this thought
is more about going forward. If the Chiefs win today

(01:34:53):
playing the Bills, that's a tough matchup for the Chiefs.
If they move on to the Super Bowl, maybe they
play a the uh, the Saints. That's my pick. That's
a tough matchup for the Chiefs. So all I'm saying is,
let's not hand him the Lombardi Trophy just yet. Brian
Finley brought this up earlier. Seattle. Think about that. Seattle
crushed Denver in the Super Bowl forty three to eight,

(01:35:16):
walloped them, and it's like, man, this team, they are
almost invincible, and they lost the Super Bowl the next year.
And I just I don't see the Chiefs winning the
Super Bowl this year. I expect them to win today.
I don't see them winning it all this year though.
And the one thing that I don't like is the
fact that you mentioned that the Chiefs may play Buffalo,
and and certainly that may happen. I don't like when

(01:35:39):
teams meet for the second time and playoff opportunities. I
like when it's the first time. I just it's funny
and we're talking about obviously it's just you know, Saints
against Saints Bucks will be the third meeting this year.
I just don't I don't like it. I want to
see two teams, two unknown commodities meeting in those games.
I like the rematches they're a lot of like Super

(01:36:01):
Bowl rematches from the regular season. Think about the undefeated Patriots.
They played the Giants in the final regular season game,
and uh, like that was I think it was thirty
thirty five is a close game, and that was a
big deal for the Giants when they eventually met in
the Super Bowl. Like, I don't know that the Giants

(01:36:21):
would have beaten the Patriots if they hadn't met in
the regular season. That loss, as weird as it sound,
it gave the Giants a lot of confidence in the
Super Bowl. So now I don't mind the rematches. It's
the third installment, I get that, But just the rematch,
I'm totally fine with that. But when baseball was king
way back maybe in nineteen forty, it was so great
because when the World Series came around, it was the

(01:36:43):
first time those two teams met, and I was interesting.
It was like a mystery back in nineteen I'm just
throwing out there. I don't remember. I'm just throwing years
out there, But who knows. Brian know, Andy Ferman Fox
Football Sunday on Fox Sports Radio, and we have Twitter
accounts with you to get us seven at the no
show at Andy Ferman FSR or eight seven, seven ninety

(01:37:05):
on Fox eight seven. Of course, at the end of
this hour, don't go anywhere because Brian no, we'll have
nose picks. But they need to change the name of
this game that's next. Don't listen to Fox Sports Radio.
Let's just call it this game that's riding around the corner. Okay,

(01:37:28):
he's Brian Ohm, Andy Ferman. Together we are Fox Football
Sunday on Fox Posts Radio, proudly brought to you by Discover.
Discover matches all the cash back you went on your

(01:37:52):
Tonight is the night eight fifteen Eastern tonight. We call
it the geriatric Bulb because you have the oldest stunning
quarterbacks in the NFL, Tom Brady. At the time of
the game, Andy, I think it's eight fifteen tonight, isn't.
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, six forty six forty Eastern time.
There you go, you're right, thank you. Six Earl the
old crowd. You know, maybe that's what the biggest they have,

(01:38:13):
those uh, those little dinners that they have do they
have those uh things in Florida they go to early
who who knows? Six six forty Eastern Tonight, Tom Brady,
Drew Brees. By the way, I gotta staff out of nugget.
I got a nugget for Are you ready for this?
This is big okay bucks tonight, uh six forty easton
on Fox. The oldest starting quarterback left now in the

(01:38:33):
a f C playoffs is, of course, Baker Mayfield. He
doesn't turn twenty six until April. Okay. Three of the
four starters in the conference were first round picks in
the eighteen draft. By the time get this, any of
the four had started a game in the NFL. Tom
Brady had already won five Super Bowls, and Drew Brees
was closing in a Dan Marino's record for career passing yards.
That's an amazing staff amazing really right, And it's it's

(01:38:57):
changed a little bit because, of course Lamar got knocked
out of the playoffs last night. But I hear you
going into this weekend, you had three of the four
quarterbacks in the same draft. Yeah, it's really it's funny
how it works out where it's new school versus old school.
We got the young upcoming quarterbacks in the a f C,
and we've got some of the old dudes over there

(01:39:18):
in the NFC, where Aaron Rodgers he not in his
twenties anymore, you know, he's a lot closer to forty
than thirty. And you look at the winner of this
game today between the Bucks and the Saints, that's amazing
to me. Andy, the combined age between Brady and Breeze
is eighty five. That's wild. Like if you look at
the combined age of Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, they're

(01:39:39):
both twenty four years old, Like Tom Brady is just
five years away from being Like the combined age of
those two quarterbacks Josh Allen and Baker Mayfield and uh
uh Lamar Jackson, that's wild to me. It's just like,
I think that's one of the things that has been
glossed over this year is Tom Brady is forty three
years old. This this unprecedented the type of success anybody

(01:40:02):
has had at that age, and I think it's just
been closed almost in any sport really, right, Well, yeah,
but especially football. We have not seen a quarterback put
any put up anywhere near the numbers that Brady has
at forty three years old. Let's stick on that for
a second, because this is a really big time. I mean,
this is an amazing thing. When they'll be talking about

(01:40:23):
this Tom Brady age than the ages wonder for years
to come. Is it his trending techniques, is his geneses,
the workout techniques? Is it what he eats? How is
he able to do that? And how come no one
else has done it? Or is it a desire that
he has internally to just continue to play well. I
think it's a lot of those things. I think his
diet is a big deal. He's definitely taking care of

(01:40:45):
his body. And look, man, he's a competitive maniac. And
I mean that in a positive way, Like not everybody
is is programmed the same way, Like there are a
lot of players that would say I've had six Super
Bowl wins, like I'm good, I don't need to be
playing at forty three years old. But Brady is wired differently,

(01:41:05):
so not everybody has that same thing. And it sounds like,
I don't know, this is kind of like we need
the sappy music in the background type thing. You know,
not everybody has the intestinal fortitude, is dumb, Brady, But
but it's true. It really is. Like I was thinking
more of the top gun music, you know what I mean,
like in the background, but I don't know, or or

(01:41:26):
like the the presidential music, you know, that type of thing.
I don't know. But anyway, Yeah, it seems very sappy
to say these things, but they're true. Not everybody is
wired the same way that Tom Brady is. Well, I
tell you what's it's a great thing. It really is.
I mean, it's an amazing thing. And to tell you
what the social aspect of what I mean by that's

(01:41:47):
forty three years old. Their kids coming into that locker
room that Tom Brady just old as their dad. And
how do these guys mesh. I guess when you go
on the playing field, you're all out for one thing
and one thing only to win, do your job. But
they're not gonna be friends out of the locker room.
I mean, we've seen relationships made in clubhouses and locker
rooms where they bond and that helps them on the field.

(01:42:10):
I don't see Bretty doing that with his teammates. That
he can't do that, but there's maybe the age factor.
I told I totally disagree with you. I hear what
you're saying. But here's the thing you got to keep
in mind. This is Tom Brady. Okay, he's the goat.
Uh who is this, Chris? I don't even know who

(01:42:32):
this is? Why Kenny Loggins? You called for top gun music.
That's that's what you're talking about. I would saying, let
me find Kenny Loggins. Huh. Okay, Um, you know, let's
see her. I was going with this. You'll you'll remember
this music if I can find it. Goodness, where is it?

(01:42:52):
Where is my top gun music? It should be easy
to find anyway. Here it is now, that's Kenny Loggins.
Too good. I'll find it later. But Andy, if you
look at Brady like think about after the game against Washington, Okay,
Jace Young came up to Tom Brady and goodness, I'm

(01:43:13):
gonna try to find more audio for you here. If
you can hear what they're talking about. Um, check this out.
Check this out here, you go what you mean? I
need this, I'll send it you. Okay. So Chase Young
was asking for Tom Brady's jersey because I need this

(01:43:34):
from you, man, can you send it, Simula. That's my point. Andy,
Chase Young is a young guy, but he's looking at
Tom Brady like, oh man, this is Tom Brady over here,
you know. And this's the same thing with Brady's teammates.
They're like, oh, this is the goat, and he can
get down on a locker room level. It's not like, hey,
I'm forty three years old, I can't relate to these

(01:43:55):
young bucks anymore. They hold him in high regard and
he can still, you know, speak at a twenty five
year old rates. So I don't think that's what I'm saying.
But also I think there's also an intimidation factor, at
least at the beginning. Kid get drafted out of college,
he's a receiver. He going into the Bucks lock room
next year, meeting him for the very first time, there's
gonna be a little bit of an intimidation factor saying, Wow,

(01:44:17):
Tom Brady is gonna be throwing passes to me, right.
I mean, it happens, has to be. But you're talking
about whether he can relate to them or not. There's
not where it's like like he can relate to those
guys just fine. It's like, hey, guys, did you see
Gilligan's Island last night? And they're like, oh, man, who
invited the old guy? This is weird, Like it's not

(01:44:39):
like that at all. Well, I'm not in the locker room.
I don't know. All I know is this, it's worked,
and it's continued to work, and it's still working. That's
all I know. But I do know this also that
they played twice during the regular year, and those games
were laughable. There was a joke. Really Saints won both
games combined score seventy six. And they're playing at home today,
which really is is a pretty big deal, even though

(01:45:00):
a crowd fact that won't make that much of a difference.
I think the Saints take this game. I really do.
I like the Saints this game too. I just believe
in their defense more than Tampa's Tampa. It wasn't just
last week against Taylor Heinekey, where he carved him up
pretty good. That should not be happening, should not. They
had some other games where it's a mixed bag with

(01:45:20):
their defense. Sometimes they're really good. Sometimes it's just like,
oh gosh, it's gonna be one of those games. They're
not doing much of anything. The Saints defense has been
way more consistent throughout the season than Tampa's has, And
so if I'm looking at betting on the game or
trying to pick a winner, I'm going to put my
money on consistency more than inconsistency. And the Saints defense

(01:45:41):
has been way more consistent than Tampa's. You know, I
think the Shaints winn by double digits. I really do,
really Okay, all right, like that, I don't know if
this is the top gun anthem. Let's try it. Yeah,
that's a music. So it's it's kind of like there
once was a man named Tom Brady who had the guts,

(01:46:02):
the intestinal, the foresight to get the job done, like
that sort of thing. Like it sounds like we're saying that,
but it's true. The guy's forty three years old. Andy,
is what a good numbers at forty three a great year?
You're kidding Kenny Loggins again, that's not me doing it.

(01:46:23):
That's all right, he's Brian No, I'm Andy from this
is Fox Football Sunday right here on Fox Boats Radio.
By the way, one NFL quarterback has decided to take
the ball and run with it. We'll explain this, but
first let's give Brian Fenley for the latest. Well we
know if we gave it to you, Andy, you'd fumble it.
The Bills take the crowbar out on the raven seventeen

(01:46:46):
to three. In the a f C Divisional round, Ravens
quarterback Lamar Jackson blew the game when throwing a pick
six in the red zone. Has Taryn Johnson's cadaddled one
one yards back for the score. Jackson later departed with
a concussion, and those QB Josh Allen through his only
touchdown to Stefon Diggs, who thrived with eight catches for
one hundred six yards. The Packers blow towards the Rams

(01:47:10):
eighteen and NFC Divisional action. Green Bay took control by
scoring on its first five possessions. Aaron Rodgers went for
two hundred ninety six yards passing, connecting on two touchdown tosses.
After the game, Rogers illuminates what makes his squad special.
There's a beauty and the diversity and the team that
we have in personality, and I'm thankful for the guys.

(01:47:32):
I'm thankful for this, uh, this opportunity to still be
here and still be the guy and excited about what
we can accomplish together that they're going home next week.
Brian Finlay prediction winner of Tampa Saints is going to
the Super Bowl. Oh absolutely, I think the Saints are
going to the Super Bowl. Yeah yeah. The Pack will

(01:47:52):
host the NFC Championship next week and they will play
the winner of the aforementioned As Brian said, the Bucks Saints,
which takes place later today and NFL Network indicates New
Orleans leaning towards sidelining quarterback Taysom Hill who's got a
hurting knee, and running back Latavius Murray, who is nursing
a quadriceps injury. Also, Bucks running back Ronald Jones, who

(01:48:17):
is battling quad and finger injuries, will know his game
status right before kickoff, as he did, though, take part
in Saturday's walkthrough, which is encouraging Discover matches. All the

out of Houston, plays inspired basketball in his nets debut
on Saturday Night, recording a triple double highlighted with thirty
two points as Brooklyn dices up the magic one two

(01:48:58):
one fifteen. Now let's get back to Brian No and
his co host, who volunteers as a punching bag at
a local mm A Jim down the street. It's andy.
See even you couldn't do it out laughing. It's great.
I love it. Thank you anyway, He goes, Hey, it's
follow the Leader in the NFL. That's coming right up.
And in fact he is Brian No. I mean, the
firman is his Fox Football Sunday on Fox Sports Radio

(01:49:21):
and knows pitch with Brian knowing less than ten minutes.
And I'm glad Brian Finley brought up that situation with
James Harden because it's kind of like a follow the
Leader now, because first it was DeShawn Watson, the quarterback
with the Houston Texas. He wanted to input on a
new coach and de Sean in a out of Texas
will find that out. We'll talk about that in a minute.
But now the Seahawks Russell Wilson wants input on the

(01:49:41):
new offensive coordinator. Now, I think this is a slip
ray slow for athletes in the National Football League to
do this because it creates a situation like the inmates
running the asylum. I just I don't like this, and
I don't like what I'm seeing on social media with
DeShawn Watson with the emojis and you know, go in there,
have a pair of hanging downs and say I want out,

(01:50:03):
but don't do it on social media. Well that's it, man.
The first thing I think of, and I know you're
applying it differently with the inmates running the asylum, was
the uh the former Texans team owner talking about that
with a dealing during the anthem that didn't go over
to well like that phrase. I can't I associate that
phrase with the Houston Texans right there. Yeah, But what

(01:50:27):
you're talking about here is, Look, I think that the
Houston Texans don't over promise and under deliver. If you
tell Deshaun Watson, hey, we're gonna have you a part
of this process when it comes to us hiring the
GM or the head coach, you're going to be involved,
and then they don't do that, Like, why would you

(01:50:48):
tell them that to begin with and then not follow
through on it? That's just bad business. So shame on
the Texans for doing that. It would be one thing
if they said, hey, DeShawn, thank you, but we've got
this right. But if you tell him like, no, buddy,
you're gonna be part of this. We we want your input,
and then you don't get it, that's just stupid. That's
not a good way to go about it. It's not

(01:51:10):
it's not good. First of all, de Seaun was upset
going way back when when DeAndre Hopkins was traded. Dad
had to upset him right, and it kind of boiled
over a little bit, and then he just let it pass.
And he said in some published report that his anger
level after that trade was a two. Now it's gone
up to attend. He wants out, and I don't think

(01:51:31):
it's healthy for him to remain with that ball club.
I think he's gonna be out. He's at the point
of no return with that ball club. I don't I
think he'll still be there. I mean, we'll see. If
he pulls the James Harden and forces his way out,
then they would have to move him. But um, I
understand the guy's frustration. I get it. I still maintain

(01:51:51):
you still gotta be a you gotta be mature and
you gotta be a professional, even if they aren't doing
what you want them to do. I don't want to
see him go on social media and quote Drake Lyrics
when when DeAndre Hopkins was traded. It's just like, that's
what a kid does. You know, That's not what a
mature leader does. I understand it's frustration, but it's it'd

(01:52:12):
be like, you know, if a kid is frustrated, you
could understand it, but if he throws a temper tantrum
or does something that's immature, you might say, yeah, you
shouldn't do that. That's how I feel about the Sean.
I completely understand why he's frustrated that organization has led
him down time and time again, but it does matter
how you handle that frustration. And I think going to

(01:52:34):
Twitter and like some thing's never change. It's just a passive,
aggressive way of handling it. I don't think that's the
mature way to go about your bos. I'm with you
a thousand percent, but he is the thing. I don't understand.
These kinds have agents. Why doesn't the agent do the
talking for them? Is is it more powerful for them
to go on social media because to get the fans
reaction and fans and media behind them. Why can't an

(01:52:55):
agent just go in There're not gonna do. Look, my
client wants out. If you don't give, if you don't
grant it to go out a deal together, he's gonna
stop going nuts. I mean, we want out of here.
Why don't agents do that? Why do the players have
to be the bad guy? And they they do come
across looking as the bad guy. Well, yeah, they don't
have to. They don't have to go out there like that.

(01:53:15):
And really the truth is the agent could be talking
to the team. The agent could put twenty things on
Twitter and no one would care because it's the agent,
you know, Like it's just it's not gonna make the
same headlines as the player himself putting it out there.
And again, as we talked about with the Kyrie Irving
or the James Garden and I hid what you're saying
with with various players given the benefit of the death.

(01:53:37):
But as a coach, do you want to play like
this again? You know, you don't know what he will
be doing once he joins the new ball club first time.
Many examples that have been that God was somewhat of
a toxic individual on Club A, going to Club B.
He's been a prince. Okay, fine, I always point back
to if it's the James Harden thing, I point back
to Jimmy Butler. Jimmy Butler forced his way out from

(01:54:01):
the Timberwolves, and he's been great with the Miami Heat.
So all I'm saying is, let's take de Shaun Watson.
What if the Shawn says I'm out of here, trade
me right now, right, and he carries on a little
bit more to force his way out. If you're the
next organization, are you like whoa red flag? Don't want him?
Or would you sign up for the Shawn Watson? Thinking

(01:54:21):
different situation, Maybe he handles himself in a different way,
if we go about our business differently, right, would you
want nothing to do with the Shawn Watson if he
forced his way out? I'll tell you right now. Talent
and we always said there's talent. Trump's trouble. And if
onnd the New England Patriots, I give him half my franchise.
I found the New Orleans Saints with Drew Brees retiring,
I give him thirty five drest picks. I'll do anything

(01:54:43):
impossible to get this guy, really, and those are the
teams I think that really would want him. Can you
imagine going to New England, New Orleans that has to
be a player in this because obviously Drew Brees is gone.
You gotta pinpoint what you're gonna give up. I think
something like a couple of dress picks will offered from
the forty nine is already for this guy. Well, I
think it's interesting. Is I think there's a likability factor

(01:55:05):
here where I find it interesting. Same city, Houston, James
Harden forces his way out, and it's just like this
freaking guy over here, right, if the Shaun Watson forced
his way out, a lot of people be like, well,
it's understandable that Texans organization and I can't wait to
get to Shaun Watson. Right. It's just funny how the
perspective is a lot different, and I think the likability

(01:55:28):
factor has a lot to do with that. The Shaun
is just more likable than James Harden is, and the
position he plays is the paramount in that in that league,
without a big time quotaback, you've finished. And then in
the National Basketball Association, hey, Hart's a great play is
a great score, but there were a time it doesn't
really in the NBA, not like harden Man, not what

(01:55:48):
has he done? What has he done? Really? But you're
that's different. You're moving the goal posts. If you're talking
about scoring. He's one of the best scorers ever. He's
an outstanding scorer. That's not a dime a dozen. What
he does with the scoring a bock. I get guys
to score, though I can't get a quarterback because I
think it's a major difference, and I could win. You
got someone to score on a heart and level. I

(01:56:08):
don't need a leading score, but I don't need a
leading score it to be a championship team. That's all
I'm saying. I need a quarterback to be a championship team. Well,
absolutely you do. But I could turn it and look
at it like this real fast where if you're worried
about red flags and oh my gosh, this guy forced
his way out, what's gonna happen? What happens to your franchise?
If DeShawn Watson is unhappy in his next home, that's

(01:56:32):
a huge deal. So I think a red flag you
could apply it to that as well. I wouldn't, but
if you're applying red flags and you're worried about, oh,
there's a precedent and this is just a pattern of behavior,
like why wouldn't that apply to Shaun Watson either, And
I'll tell you why it would. I agree with you.
If I'm the general management mixed this deal and that happens,

(01:56:52):
then the owner comes to the g M S. I
told you, So that's what happens, right, But it's it's
worth the risk. We've certainly it is certain Brian No,
Andy Ferman. Together, we call it Fox Football Suddenly on
Fox Sports Radio, and we have the perfect job for you.

is here and now the time has come for picks?
All right, Andy, No need to get into details. Winless
last week, not one win at all. I just apologize. Now.
I do blame you also, Andy Ferman, you agreed with
my picks, you know, so, I'm hoping for this. You did.

(01:58:27):
That's true, I did so. I accept responsibility for that.
I apologize, try to rectify that. So I've got three
picks here now, Andy. The first thing that you got
to keep in mind here there are a lot of gamblers.
They try to side with the sharps, right, Like what's
the what are the sharps thinking here? Like I don't
want to have just this average Joe pick and like,

(01:58:51):
forget about all of that. Pick the side that you
think is correct, all right, I'm taking the over today
in the brown Owns Chiefs game. The total is high
fifty seven points, but I think the brown is gonna
be able to run it. I have no faith in
the Browns defense, especially their secondary slowing down Mahomes. I've
got the over fifty seven. What do you think about that?

(01:59:15):
I don't like that? Okay, alright, alright, I'm on the
right track. Possibly, I don't know, just reverse things here.
I'm also looking at Tampa New Orleans. The total is
fifty to get me the over in that one. Also,
I don't like how Tampa has played defense, and Tampa's
offense has been really, really good as of late. So
I'm taking the over fifty two. What do you think
about that? I like the over in that game because

(01:59:37):
I got Tom Brady. I believe in Bonna Barreo Betty
to pass for over three fifty. Man, that's it's a
high total. I'll be surprised if that happens. Also, sticking
with the same game, I just trust the Saints defense
more than Tampa's. Is it gonna do? I trust them
to limit Tampa to like ten points score today? No,
but I trust them more to win the game. Therefore,

(01:59:59):
I have the Saints covering the three points spread. Yes,
last one? You like that one? Yes? I do. That's okay.
So that's a thumbs up one thumbs down. We'll see
how I fare. But it's time Andy, time to go
your own way? What do you have to go on
my own way? By the way, have you ever been
looking for something that will stand out on your resume?
Are you the kind of person who wants to work
your buns off while meeting hot dog fans from across

(02:00:21):
the country, Or maybe you just always dreamed of driving
a weird car this maybe You're lucky day. Why I
thought that to read? At first, I thought this was
like a sponsorship reader. This is the Stor Meyer Oscar
Myers looking to hire a new crew of hot doggers
to drive the Oscar Meyer weena be a weenamobile. The
company is looking for a recent college graduate to take

(02:00:44):

How do you like that that? It gives me the

session Oscar Myers hot Doggers were up that the company
at various events like media appearances, charity functions, and other celebrations.

(02:01:05):
Not a bad gig, not bad man. Gainfully employed. There's
those things than that. All right? How about this andy firm?
And I got too for you here you might have
heard Lebron James. After seventeen years, he is leaving Coca.
He's going over there to the Pepsi co. Now before
you call him a trader, he's expected to promote Mountain Dew,
which is my favorite soft drink, Your favorite soft drink?

(02:01:27):
Where do you go with Dr Pepper? Dr Pepper? I
didn't know that about you. Also, I'll take you to
stores Connecticut for a little Yukon men's basketball. How about this.
We've got a Yukon fan by the name of Brian Jackson.
Yukon was trailing a game recently against Marquette and he
jokingly put on Twitter that he would eat a spoonful

(02:01:48):
of hot sauce if Yukon came back. They did, so,
he paid it off. He went on Twitter ate the
hot sauce. It's become a thing. You got numerous Yukon
fans doing this after each win. It's become this whole
endeavor if you will. Also, they they have this project
where they pay for kids, underprivileged kids to go to

(02:02:09):
Yukon football and basketball games and so with the five
dollar pledge, they're asking that you drink hot sauce. It's
this whole thing. Would you do this, Andy Ferman, would
you down some hot sauce? No? And hell no, no
and hell no. Okay, yeah, alright, there you go. Our
time is up. Thanks for you as We'll see you
