Speaker 1 (00:01):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio. I go the morning buddy, Hey, hey, hebby, hebby,
hebby Sports Saturday with the Fellas. Oh man, there's no football.

(00:21):
There's no football. It's a weekend without football and uh,
a weekend without Big Link. He's off today. They stole
him like they stole football. As uh, we begin the
all season, which is going to be incredible. The drama

(00:43):
actually will be pretty interesting and we will dive deeply
into it, of course. Where the Fellas live from the
Farmers Fox Sports Radio studios. When you switch the Farmers
insurance you could save a bundle. All you gotta do
is call one eight eight Farmers get a quote. Today.

(01:04):
We are so in for Link. Go back to my
main man. He is a fella. You hear him every week.
He just steps back into big Main shoes like he
did a couple of weeks ago. He's my main man,
the great Kevin figures at the name. What's going on now?

(01:30):
Unfortunately for you do you now have the task of
getting me through the first show without football? Now you
know how it deeply affects me every year? Yes, I've
experienced it. Yeah, here it is Chris. That's right, I am.

(01:53):
I am depressed. I look and I just see nothing
but snow, literally and figuratively, and I can't even imagine
football next. It's all. It's weird, though, because I feel like,
in some ways, the off season is almost as entertaining,
if not more entertaining, than the actual season itself, you know,

(02:15):
especially this year with so much uncertainty, the quarterback carousel,
we have the draft coming up, with all the virtual workouts,
and the combine is gonna be different than evaluations are
going to be different. The NFL for years is trying
to find ways to keep itself relevant, you know, all
year round, and considering this offseason in particular, this might

(02:35):
be actually more entertaining than actual actually watching games, Anthony.
So you bring up a great point, and it is
going to be filled with incredible drama, I mean the quarterbacks,
and today we will go through it with the quarterbacks,
and it is It's unbelievable. I mean the drama. I'm

(02:57):
in the middle of it in my town, which about
you know three at least half its towns in America
are going through quarterback uncertainty, and que you it's tough
to deal with quarterback uncertainty. Is a difficult thing. So yes,
it is highly entertaining. However, it's not games, brother, you

(03:22):
know what I'm saying. I understand not games. You can't
play fantasy quarterback musical chairs. You know what I'm saying,
you can't do it. So the butterflies don't flap right
when you're thinking about Drew Lock. You know what I'm saying. Right, Well,
you know, if you're a team like Jacksonville are one

(03:43):
of the dregs of the league this past year, you
know you look you did look for by the time
Week seven rolled around, you were already looking forward to
the draft. So football has been over for teams like
that for a while. That's a good point. Well, we'll
have some fun with it. I know Chris, who is
our producer today, Uh, he's got something for us chopping.
Good morning, Chris, Good morning. I was just wanting to say,

(04:06):
well to two things. One, I think you're onto something
with February because it is cold. It is so cold
when we suddenly lose football for most of the country.
You know, yeah, I I don't know if people go
through seasonal you know, mood swings, but it's definitely sad.
Seasonal effective disorder. It's real well, and football going away

(04:29):
on top of it probably can't help if you're someone
who loves your football, that's right. Yeah, And I mean
you guys are right probably seeing my way the years
of of of being obstinate and not seeing and not
giving me a sympathetic ear. You know, at least Figgy
was sympathetic towards my cause Linke was just like that

(04:50):
god him was done. You know what I mean, football,
I didn't want to look at the football. I just
want to look at a l K Siga. I'm probably
feeling a little bit more because I do, you know,
I do cover the Lions, and for us it's been
off season for about a month now. And I mean, hell,
you guys are talking about quarterback. You and Lions got

(05:11):
to jump on it before we even got football done.
It just seems like, you know, these quarterbacks trades and
all the quarterback here cell starts earlier and earlier each year.
They couldn't even wait for the Super Bowl to get
done this time around. No, I know, it's crazy, it's
just wild. And we we got all kinds of rumors
and fig the we read it to everything in one right,

(05:38):
So the Cowboys come out with their hype video and
there's no deck in the hype video. Now do I
think that's Jerry Jones sending a message? I don't. I
don't think he has anything to do with the hype
video right right. I think whoever put it together is

(05:58):
an idiot. Oh. I will say, you know, Anthony, that
Jerry Jones, like atypical if most owners, has his hand
in everything. Now, whether or not he actually did have
a hand in this video, I don't know. But if
if you were to tell me that he actually did,
I wouldn't be surprised. Garry Jones micro manager to the degree.

(06:20):
So you're right, like drafting and players for the hype video,
like he's telling the he's telling that the hourly employee
the video turn guy yo, man know that all right?
By the way, I gotta go get to seven eleven
and get my wine. Yeah I saw that. What was

(06:42):
that about violation? It's like, hold up that that's something
doesn't right here? Yeah, he's getting crushed today and look
look at me. Hang with the commoners. That's what that's
what it was. You go get a taquito, that's cool,
but you can't go get your wine all right, I

(07:03):
can't go to Jerry Jones is not going into a
seven eleven to get anything. If anything, Jerry Jones was
standing a chopper to go pick up the seven eleven
off the ground and deliver the entire store to him.
I want right now. Yeah, a matter of fact, I'll
take all of them. I would just buy your entire franchise.
I'll take it. Give it here, you set up a roller,

(07:25):
takeedo stand in Cowboys Stadium. Give me a couple of couple,
two or three dolls, don't as I've been sitting there
for a month. I'll go grab those off the hands
to you know what I can put. I can put
slurpees in the big Gulf cop Oh, you have to
can't stop me. But yeah, I'm glad you're gonna get
into Anthony because that's I don't know what was happening

(07:46):
with that photo earlier this week. I don't know what
Jerry Jones was trying to accomplish there. We all know
he's not buying his wine from seven eleven, nor is
he's setting foot in seven eleven for any reason. Well,
there's lots of theories, so we'll get in good. I
didn't know, but we'll get we'll get to we'll get
to it all. Um but here's the thing. No Doc
in the hype video and Dak likes the Washington football team.

(08:13):
I mean you saw that, right I did not? So, yes, stop,
Dac liked the Washington football team. Not what I mean
he liked their profile on Twitter or Instagram. Yea, that's now,
that's it. Now that's adds to the drama because there's

(08:35):
no other there's nobody there that Dallas hates more, at
least back in the day. They have been relevant a while.
But what was the what was the Redskins? What is
now the Washington football team? That's a blood rival. So
it's just a trolling breeds more subtrolling is what it
looks like. Yeah, I like your biggest rival. You know

(08:58):
this is I guess, I guess this is the way
that it goes down in one with social media, the
back and forth, you could say a lot without saying anything.
That's right. That is right, very interesting. So here we
go here here's actually the story. Um, So Dak Prescott

(09:20):
he followed the Watchington football team on Instagram and then
he liked it, so that you know, it's a big
deal when you followed this, I would say so. Now,
I would say he knew exactly what he was doing
very intentionally at that point. First, what happened with the
Cowboy video editor? Yes, dak Is is that's right for

(09:44):
Doc to do that. There's something to various at play. Absolutely,
we will get to the bottom of all this stuff.
I mean, it's amazing when you look at the quarterback
situations and we'll have to go through every now the
other thing that you're charged with. Okay, you gotta indulge

(10:05):
me into going with into every quarterback situation for every team. Okay, Well,
you know I'm up to the task, you know, unlike
Lincoln who are who works extremely hard during the football
season and at this point in time just wants to
rest up a little bit. By the way, happy belated
birthday to our boy big Link had a birthday yesterday,

(10:25):
So shout out to our guy Link Kennedy for that.
I will indulge you because I also find the happy birthday. Yes,
I also find a lot of entertainment enjoy out of
the speculation and the hypotheticals. Uh So, I'm all for it, Anthony,
bring it on. Had do the Link impression? You mean
all of them. Okay, yes, we will do that. We

(10:52):
will go into our salvation because the only salvation I
can think of is a round ball, and we will
dive into bad bsketball. You and I will go at it. You.
I believe I would think that Lebron James is the
m v p UM. Yes, I think he's one of

(11:12):
the early front runners. I don't think he's unanimous at
this point, but yes, I think one of the early
front runners. And you would you would argue you could
argue his case as his attranny, Yes, yes, I could.
All right, I will argue who Joel embiid? Yes, yes,

(11:35):
I was gonna say shake Milton, but I thought better
of it, right, and then uh we will also Have
you ever heard of the show? It was an old
TV show long before you were born, but it was
highly entertaining basketball show called The White Shadow. I know
of it. Yes, I've not seen it, but I do
know of it. Yes, do me a favorite throughout the

(11:56):
course of the first hour when we are in commercial
YouTube the first episode it is on YouTube because you
will join my crusade to remake The White Shadow. Okay,
all right, now, you know you're looking at me like yeah, whatever, dude.

(12:19):
But but but it actually was an incredible show. And
I will give you why it needs to be remade,
all right, if they're gonna remake freaking Saved by the
bell Man, all right, you we got a good one
right here, trust me figuring to love it? All right.
We got lots to get to, including my obsessive depression

(12:44):
because we have no football. Where the Fellas in for
Big Link, Yeah, the fig It's good. He'd make me
feel better. The fig I'm because everybody. I hope everybody's
having a great Saturday morning, you Saturday night, this aurday morning.
The Fellas on Fox, welcome back. We are the Fellas.

(13:17):
Some'm Anthony Gardana called me because and for the big Man,
Big Link off today Kevin figures Man, the Figgy. You
know why. Uh it sucks to be a fan because
of yesterday. Like if you're a fan of the Chexans

(13:39):
and you gotta say goodbye to J. J. Watt like
fig that sucks. It's the face of the franchise last decade,
you know. And still a productive player by the way.
I know, he's not dominant like he was five years ago,
and injuries have crept up the last couple, but still
a good player, great in the commu unity, you know,

(14:01):
a team guy through and through. That's a tough pill
to swallow, it is, and it's you know, it's that's
the sadness, like we don't understand. You know, the fan
is an intelligent fan. He understands the concept of when
a player he's done. But what happened in Houston was
complete mouthfeasance. Right, Yeah, they have a bright, incredibly young

(14:27):
quarterback whom they just tortured the last three years, right,
didn't protect him with his offensive line, got rid of
his best weapon, you know, saddled him with a tyrannical
coach who was half clueless. And I just I if

(14:48):
I'm a sexan fan, I go it sucks. Yeah, I mean,
I will say in the midst of all of that,
Deshaun Watson did still sign an extension, so if if
things were that bad, he would have left um. But
even with that, J J. Watt had that impassioned speech
to the media, uh during the last game, after the
last game of the regular season, saying, we're doing a

(15:08):
disservice to Deshaun Watson and we're not playing well and
guys aren't coming to work hard. It was like at
that point in time, I think he knew or the
team knew, the riding was on the wall, because I
do believe, you know, similar to Big Ben likely taking
a pay cut to stay in Pittsburgh if the team
was headed in a better trajectory at the relationship between
Deshaun Watson and ownership was on better footing and there

(15:29):
were signs of them possibly trying to turn this thing around.
J G. Y probably would have taken a pay cut
to stay there as opposed to the quote unquote mutual
parting of ways. Yeah, I think that's just a way
for them to everybody to save face outside of j
J Y just saying I don't want to be here anymore,
and they can say, well, we wanted to save on
the salary cap and give him a chance to go
somewhere else where you can win. But I think this
is clear as day to me. J J. Watt didn't

(15:51):
want to be there. Yeah, I think, and I get it.
I'm not playing and violence for the Shawn wantson. I'm
just it's more about the fans. Like you know, you're
you're a fan and you love like J. J. Watt
is awesome, right, Like, yeah, I agree with you. He's
not as dominant. He's not the donond force he was

(16:13):
five years ago. But that dude, you love the roof
for J. J. Watt. Right. I watched the Shawan Jackson
DeShawn Watson play, and I go, I love DeShawn Watson. Man.
You know what, there's certain guys I go, oh, yeah, Mack,
I like, I would love for him to be my quarterback. Right, Like,
there's there's certain guys and and the fan and then

(16:34):
the fan is the one that's cheated. Now, I'll give
you case some point because it's to illustrate it's in
my town and much like in Houston, high drama at
play in my town of Philadelphia where Carson Wentz. Now,
let me take you back in the day, okay, to

(16:55):
give you the full impact of what's going on with
Carson Wentz and what's going on in Philadelphia right now,
because it really mimics a lot of what you know
around what you see. So they were aimless after Donovan McNab.
They were aimless at the visit. Donovan manned the position

(17:18):
for ten years just about right, he was the quarterback,
and he went down as the best quarterback in the
history of the franchise. They tried a couple of the
guys they brought Mike Vicken, and Mike Vick had some
great success. If you remember something, I look pretty good
by a giant contract extension, right, And he did a

(17:41):
great job at a teaching him how to play quarterback,
and he was good. Now he was getting hurt and
it was towards the end of his career. So they
go to Nick falls and they're kind of, you know,
he's okay, he's not great, and they're kind of, you know,
ating out of the mark Sanchez is and it's it's

(18:03):
just it's just an ugly There's nothing worse in life
than no quarterback in your life. Yeah, and at that
one magical year with Chip Kelly before it all fell
apart in maybe Chip would have worked out more if
he just would have stayed out of the personnel part.
But that might be a different discussion for a different day. Dude,
You are dead on. Let me tell you someth about

(18:25):
Jim Kelly. Right, He had two major issues because he
was a bright guy. He had some really good concepts
that the league uses today. He he brought all the
Saturday stuff. Although let's work the horizontally, let's work let's
you know, hang with tempo. He did a lot of

(18:45):
interesting things. The problem was he was a prickly fella
and the other issues. He had no concept of the league.
It's amazing that he I don't blame him for wanting
to be in charge of personnel, but go get somebody
you trust because you can't, and I'll go. He takes
over his coach and he hated the Shawan McCoy. Now,

(19:07):
I don't know why. At that point, shaw McCoy was
one of the best running backs in the league. He
was top three in the league. And he was a
perfect fit for his offense. Thank you, right jump caught
right he was. He was the perfect running back for
one back shot cut offense. Right he does, so he

(19:31):
gets rid of him. He was going to crusade to
get rid of him. And the Sean Jackson, who was
his speed guy. And you know what the kind of
speed to Sean Jackson as Yeah, and this prime one
of the best deep threats in the NFL, maybe the
best deep threat in the NFL and exactly healthy. So
his his offense was predicated on speed right and and

(19:52):
spacing and so he gets rid of with Sean McCoy.
He goes and and signs to Marco Mary. He was
just a running behind a fullback or in front of you,
behind a fullback in a stout offensive line. And it
was a stretch runner. Yeah, the complete opposite of what
works and Chips are exactly. It's like, dude, what are
you stooping with you? Anyway? So you were talking Eagles

(20:15):
and quarterbacks, right, Sorry to go. Chip Kelly gets thrown
out and he's out on his ear and Howie Roseman,
whom Chip Kelly put in the closet, he literally put
he moved his office away from football ops. Amazing story.
And I remember going and having lunch with Howie and

(20:41):
just the throws a chip and Chip was walking around
like walking biased, like what are they talking about? Type
of thing. It's growing weird, right. Anyway, he gets Chips fired.
They bring in Doug. How he makes his trade. He
gets rid of some bad contracts and he worked at
agnificently and he trades up to the second pick in

(21:04):
the draft. The Rams of course have the first pick
in the draft, right, and the Rams take off which
they traded up to get to. By the way, correct,
the Eagles take wins, and so the town goes wild, right,

(21:25):
like we got our savior. Carson wentz from North Dakota
and it was bizarre, right like we went making you know,
pilgrimages to to far Go and listen, trust me, you
can't get further from North Dakota to Philadelphia, all right,

(21:46):
like culturally, the whole thing, it's just you know, a
different planet. Right. So so everybody embraces his kid. Oh
here he is Carson. He's a hunter. Oh wow, nobody
people can't spell hunting in Philadelphia, right, Like one of
the stories like he would take his teammates, his Egal
teammates on hunting trips with him, at least early on. Yeah, yeah,

(22:09):
they would go and they go, you know, and and
he's in the duck blind in the deep forests of
North Dakota, right like you know you lost me with
deep forest, right, Like you know, I know I speaking,
and so I used to and I used to come
up with all you know me when it comes to stories, right, Like,
I make up all kinds of weird things. So at

(22:31):
that point, the revenue had come out with Leonardo DiCaprio, right,
I mean in the movie Leonardo DiCaprio is a is
a as a fur trapper in the eighteen hundreds and
he gets you know, uh, he gets double crossed by

(22:52):
another fur trapper. He gets mulled by a bear, right,
like all kinds of things. So and he's surviving in
this wildering us. And so I'm I say, Carson Wentz
in the role of the revenuant. So I'm doing all things.
The music is playing this real brooding revenue, you know,

(23:15):
soundtrack Carson, and I'm doing this whole thing. And you know,
his rookie yere was good. His second year was incredible.
He's on his way to an m v P season,
but he's unbelievable. He's making throws. There's a play against
Washington where there's no way in the world he should

(23:37):
have been sacked three different times. He somehow wriggles free
and throws the dark touchdown down the field, and oh
my god, we swooned. We swooned. He goes to Los
Angeles on a day to play the Rams for the

(24:01):
best team in the conference, all right, and it was
a big deal. He has four o'clock game everybody's wild
or one o'clock l a It was amazing. It was unbelievable.
It was gonna be the biggest thing in the world.
And he's he's heroic, and it's and it's a shootout.

(24:21):
Cough wents shootout and he throws a touchdown pass and
rips his a c L. And and then he stays
on it and gets a two point conversion. Actually, yes,
he actually scored the touchdown with that a c L. Right,

(24:44):
torn a c L. Then he throws the two point conversion. Yes,
you're right. And then he gets wheeled off the field
and a car and then that's it. And since that moment,
the Eagles go on to win the Super Bowl with
Nick Foles playing stan Nick And that was three years ago.

(25:07):
It feels like three years ago, doesn't it? And Figgy
and now there they have to trade the kid, and
I'm going, what happened? How do you go from the
Revenant getting wheeled off the field as an m VP

(25:27):
candidate to now being traded and like, there's no, there's no,
there's no salvaging the relationship between Carson Wentz and the
Eagles and this is all going downhill. The moment they
selected Jalen Hurts in the draft, like the second that well,

(25:50):
I mean that confirmed Falls, Well, yeah, Falls because Falls
won the Super Bowl and then he came in after
once got hurt again in the playoffs, and the locker
room like Falls. Yeah, and so there was a divide
there and I and there's the as current the current
situation is there still a divide in the locker room
for a lot of teammates in the Philadelphia that don't
like Carson. Well, I guess where where did it? Where

(26:12):
did it turn from him taking these guys on trips
and hunting and they all loved him to now all
of a sudden they want nothing to do with them
and they'd rather go with the kid Jalen hurts from
a player standpoint, what was the moment that they said,
I can't deal with this guy anymore. We want him out.
It's so it's so fast thing. I tell you what
he is with trending Okay, and I'll finish the story

(26:34):
because it's a great story, and it's a story, uh
that the whole league should know because the league is
going through its own turmoil when it comes to quarterbacks
and it affects a lot of towns. So it's all
quickly we fall even out of love with the quarterback,
So take it away, all right, Well, talk to about

(26:55):
NBA in a second. But there was some news out
of the NFL Jaguar strip of kiddition ning coach Chris
Doyle resigning from his post just a day after accepting
the job. Urban Meyer did release a statement saying that
the team should have given better consideration to the effects
that the higher may have had. Doyle was fired by
the University of Iowa last year amid an investigation that

(27:17):
he made racist remarks and bullied players. In the NBA,
the Lakers won their seventh game in a row. They
came back from a twenty point deficit to beat Memphis.
Anthony Davis back in the lineup, he scorps thirty five
points to lead all scores. Luca don Chicks at career
high forty six points for Dallas as they beat the Pelicans.
Utahn won their six game in a row. They have
the best record in the NBA after beating Milwaukee to

(27:39):
one fifteen, Clippers, Detroit and the Spurs with victories and baseball,
Chris Ayanetta returning to the Cups. He signed a one
year deal. Tennis at the Australian Open, second seed in
the brafit on Adult in Action currently. He won the
first two sets against Cameron Norri on the women's side.
Earlier this morning, top seeded Ashley Barty advanced to the
fourth round in straight sets and Jordan Speed with the

(28:00):
one stroke leat at the p G A Pro m
event at Pebble Beach. Back to the Fellas, All right,
we are the Fellas. Link is off Figgy in um
cause and we're hanging out. Of course, I I this
story is it's I still can't fathom it, right, Like

(28:25):
having covered a lot of stories, fig it's difficult to fathom.
I guess Chris can understand because of Stafford. But Stafford
was there for a long time, right, he was in Detroit.
They had multiple chances to win with with Stafford, to
try to build a team around Stafford in twelve years

(28:48):
for this, you know, right the wednes thing. No, Now
we're Fellas live from the Farmers and Shorance Fox Sports
Radio Studios called one eight eight eight. Farmer is to
switch you could save a bundle on your auto insurance.
But you get my point, fake, I mean, it's almost
seems like the RG three situation in Washington. You know,

(29:11):
maybe a little bit different, but they felt that he
was a little too for lack of a better term,
to Hollywood, who caught up in outside football things. Then
he ends up getting injured and is never the same player,
but has the exact same expectation to be treated the
same way, and that rubbed his teammates the wrong way.
I don't know if there's a similarity from that standpoint
when it comes to Carson Wentz, but for someone that
was riding high to basically be in the dregs and

(29:34):
now having to be a backup, I don't know if
Carson Wentz is gonna be fall that far or not.
It remains to be seen. But that's the parallel that
I can draw from recent memory. Can I assue guys
this because it's been bugging me about Carson Wentz this
thing too. Um. I do have to wonder, and I'm
kind of wildly speculating here how much it did hurt
him that you know, he he was on the team

(29:56):
that won the Super Bowl, but he's not the quarterback
got them to the Super Bowl that it was Nick Foles,
and just I don't know, you're exactly right. Here's the thing.
Imagine you know you're the toast of the town, right,
could be any city in America. You're the toast of

(30:18):
the town. You you're the up and coming quarterback. It's
your second year and you're bawling. All right, you're balling,
and you got your team to basically the number one seed,
all to him. It was all on him, the number

(30:38):
one seed. You're you're balling out of your mind. You're
an m v P. He was going to win the
m v P before he gets hurt. You get hurt,
your backup comes in. He's awful, right like, he was
terrible for a couple of games. It was the whole
town was like. And then you know he's awful in

(31:01):
the first half against the Falcons and the Point and
I remember you had to buy because it wentz And
then he plays case Keenan in Minnesota and wins, and
then you know, the Patriots had a horrible defense. Not
nothing to take not take anything away from Falls, who
was spectacular in the super Bowl. But the Patriots sit

(31:21):
their best corner and events conspire for Falls to win
the Super Bowl and b the m v P, and
your ass asked to watch. That's torture, right, definitely, Yeah,
I mean It's like I could be out there doing
this exact same thing that he is, and yet he's
gonna get all the praise. He gets the you know,

(31:42):
the big you know what, Nick your moniker, and people
are celebrating him and wanting to build statues of him,
and it's like, hold up, I'm right here, Like we
wouldn't have had a bye, We wouldn't have been that
great for me. I can understand that's a professional athlete,
but they all have egos, you know, he was natural
to have an ego over something like so that egg.
He they erect a statue of the Philly Philly the

(32:04):
bud like statue right of you know here, it is
Peterson and Falls because Falls calls the Philly Philly play.
So he's got to come in every day to work
and see the statue. And then his teammates all love
Nick because Nick was cool, Like he's cool to Carson, right,
Everybody like Nick and nobody really like right. So so

(32:27):
so after that point, so was after Nick took over
as the starting quarterback. Is that kind of where the
teammates are kind of like, you know what, I kind
of like enjoy playing with Nick more than I like
playing with the Carson even though Carson was having success.
Is that because Cars is a type a dude, very
religious and you know sometimes I mean, listen, we all

(32:47):
are adults here. We understand that if you are a
strong believer in anything, but you're a religious believer and
you know your very faith and that's a beautiful, beautiful thing.
But some people, you know, it rubs you the wrong
way if they're not if you're not able to communicate
with them, if you're a supporter of a particular calls

(33:10):
and you you know, you championed so much and you
hammer people over the head with it enough you whether
they agree with you or not, it can be a
bit overwhelming for some people, especially younger guys that you
know that resent preachiness and stuff. Cars is not a
really appreachy guy, and you know, God bless him. His
relationship with God is a beautiful thing. Except some guys
don't want to see in their face every day. Right,

(33:32):
So that's the reality of the situation. So here here
you are, you're kind of on the outs, not with everybody,
but certainly a click And then fast forward to your question,
fig which is they struggle to put a real team
around them. Right, they miss on everything. They give Austan Jeffrey,

(33:54):
who can't run anymore, a big ridiculous contract that they're
still paying. They signed the showing Jackson back. Right. He
can't play, I mean, Kate right, he's he's playing one
game here, one game here, and it's because he's blowing
out tires. They can't draft right, they take right, They

(34:16):
pass up DK Metcalf, whole town screaming for DK Metcalf,
and they take j j or Sago Whiteside right, whole town,
whole town's clamoring for Justin Jefferson, and I mean it's
and then to add insult, you've got no, you've got
all kinds of needs, like there are terrible roster, and

(34:38):
then you take Jalen Hurts overdraft him in the second
round when you have all those needs and you already
got a quarterback. So that's the basis of it. It's
almost it's almost like they were intentionally they're not obviously
putting a trash roster around around him so they can
get Carson out, you know, have him played so terribly

(34:59):
that it's like, look this this that's not working for
us anymore. He's not good enough he's struggling. We gotta
get him out of here. Now. They obviously didn't do
that intentionally, um, but they've had a lot of missteps
personnel wise. To your point, offensive line could have used
some help. Skill position players could have used some help.
So if you're struggling on the old coach isn't exactly

(35:20):
Sean McVeigh right, He's not exactly the brightest guy in
the room. Yeah. I always hesitate when they say like
so and so superstar assistant was really the real engine
that made it go. You know, we had a lot
of that, you know, back into the Boys State days
with Dan Hawkers and Chris Peterson. I think they ended
up playing itself out correctly because what Hawkins didn't do
at Colorado, and people said the same thing about Frank

(35:41):
Reich with Doug Peterson Eagles, and you know what, that's
starting to play out itself to make it look like
that people were right that maybe Frank Reich was the
brains of the operation from an offensive standpoint, Yep, So
here we are. He hasn't spoken, and there's trade rumors
to reunite Frank Reich and went although Chicago is deeply

(36:02):
in the mix. We will go through we begin our
journey around the NFL and the quarterback Carasel were the
Fellas the fake I'm because Chris usual Gang links off
right here on Fox Sports Radio. Fellas with the fig

(36:32):
I'm because we're live from the Farmers Insurance Fox Sports
Radio Studios called Farmers Today for a quote. The Fellas
big link off today as we usher in no Football
except the topic is football and the quarterback situation. It

(36:55):
feels like an upheaval throughout the league. And yesterday in UH,
one of the newest and the brightest quarterbacks who will
enter the league come April, had his Pro day, and figure,
I don't know if he had a chance to see
much of Trevor Lawrence. It was unbelievable. I mean, I

(37:20):
know it's a pro day, but mine love him. Man.
I gotta tell you, like no pads, no pass rush,
I mean, scrupted plays. So I mean, I feel like
I've seen enough of Trevor Laurance the last three years
to not have to watch him at the workout. I'm
surprised he even worked out. To be honest with you,
I don't think it was even necessary. No, I know,
and you know that he had his Pro day and

(37:41):
he's injured, by the way, on all the opposite shoulder.
But still I don't know if he had anything to
gain by working out, I guess, is my point. He
makes a play, ready, it's a scrambled drill. Not granted,
it's an empty stadium, all right, Like it's an empty field.
I I only me, I I don't put a lot
of stick. But I look at his movement, right, I like,

(38:03):
I love quarterbacks, and I just look at at Trevor
Lawrence's movement, and you know, this scrambles drill, he goes
through it. He his movement is so perfect and then
he on courts a dime sixty five yards down the field.

(38:25):
I mean, it was, it was. It was just beautiful.
Now again, you know, it's simulated pressure right on a
scrambled trump. So I understand it. And I'm not trying
to make a big deal. But I love Trevor Lawrence.
I do. I I think he was sensational, and uh,
you know, I just think that dude is gonna have
I think he's Andrew Luck. I was gonna say, I

(38:48):
think he's the He's the closest thing to a sure
thing we've had since Andrew lucky, and I've seen him
do it in games, in big games as a freshman
light up Alabama like it was nothing, you know. So
I mean, I wasn't gonna be floored by anything that
he did at his pro day because I've seen him
do it at the highest level multiple times over. I know,

(39:10):
I just you know, sometimes like like I don't know,
I'm a geek. I love to watch those work out
so stupid. But the concept of the scramble drill where
you're you know, you you sprint out left, you come
back right, you spright back left, you circle around retreating

(39:31):
twenty yards and you're thrown on the run and you're
throwing a dime. I mean, that's I mean, that's just wow.
Look you know that's and that is why you know,
Urbant Myers says, all right, I'm gonna take my shot
at the NFL. I got all kinds of cap space
and I'm gonna get this case my quarterback. Yeah. And
that's the new wage of quarterback we have. They call

(39:53):
it second reaction plays. You know, the days of the statues,
the Philip Rivers and the Tom Brady's who just dropped
back and stand there as a statue I'm not saying
you can't be effective anymore, but those days are dying.
They want guys who can actually make not necessarily run
up to feel like Lamar Jackson, but can make second
reaction plays and break the pocket and make throws on
the run. And he fits that perfectly. He is, He's amazing,

(40:15):
He truly is. Well, we'll talk about that crop of quarterbacks,
but we're gonna go through them all. I mean, the
dramas everywhere. Yea, the Seahawks are upset with Russ? Are
you kidding me? How in the world could you be
upset with Russ? How could you be upset with them?
Did you hear what he said this week? Well, yeah,
but he's Russ. No, no where the fellas right here?

(40:48):
All right, fellas, that's right. Big link is out today. Relaxing,
good friend, catching up, catch it up. We are here
with you as we begin this cycle, cycle of normalcy,
semi normalcy. We have. We got through a football season,

(41:11):
a lot of trials, tribulations, but we got through it.
And now we're all to the off season and uh,
of course hoops, hockey, baseball getting started. We got our
other golf and tennis. But it's interesting. Another UFC card tonight.

(41:32):
But you know the world revolved, football is the sun
and everything else it comes in there is slotted in
the after sorr is the sun eclips for six months?
Is that what it is? Is that what happened to Anthony? Yes,
that's correct. There's a little bit of light poking through,
but it's not not what we're looking for. Yeah, listen,
I love my baskets. You know that. By the way,

(41:54):
how you make it out on the on the White Shadow?
You have you seen it at all? Break? I am
a uh let me see here. Fifteen minutes into episode one, alright, alright, alright, okay,
you are right. You're like, oh, this is a pretty
good concept. I understand the concept. Not bad. Alright, alright,

(42:15):
So I got a little later on I go my
crusade to try to remake The White Shadow. The White
Shadow was a television show when I was a little
boy in the early eighties about a basketball coach who
goes to Carver High in Los Angeles and watts. He's

(42:36):
a white former NBA player whose friend is the principal.
The principal gets him to come over and coach a
mostly black team where a couple of ethnic is the
the Italian, the Jewish kid, and the Mexican kid. Right,
that makes up to the team that's predominantly black, and

(42:58):
the the the former NBA player who was white from
Queens who played for the Bulls in Chicago. That's the
set up. And that's about all I've gleaned so far
in the first episode. But you've seen you've seen this.
I'm sure that one of the players, he's a big

(43:22):
His name is Coolidge. I haven't learned his name yet.
They didn't they Okay, his name is Coolidge. Okay, now, Coolidge.
He's got skills I love if you've seen that yet.
I've seen their first practice not good. Well, they look
they look as bad as any pickup game you'll ever see. Yeah,

(43:44):
there's some guys that are they can't play, you know,
from Washington Generals, you know, except it's like if the
Washington Generals are playing the Washington Generals. That's what That's
what you would have seen out there. That's what their
first practice looked like. But I want to tell you
more about the show come out. I will say that
as the show is amazing, all right, and that it

(44:05):
was ahead of its time, all right. Now, what happened
was so my cousin it was four years older than
I mean, I always look up to him. He's like
my brother. So he says to me, and if you
and we're the same, like we've said, our whole lives
filed sports together, right, the whole thing. I mean we

(44:26):
you know. He says to me, did you have you
seen the White Shadow lately? And I went now, he goes,
I've I've discovered her on YouTube and he goes, it's unbelievable.
The story of the plot lines are today. It was
before it's time. So there was an episode where two

(44:47):
of the players are stopped by the cops, right, and
the one player they put uh the baton on his
neck and he he actually says the words I can't breathe. Interesting,
and these other teammate you'll see the guy Thorpe with

(45:09):
the glasses. They're saying, yo, take it off. He can't breathe.
And he reaches into his pocket. I remember this before
cell phones to grab a pen to write down the
police officer's badge number and the cops shoots him. Wow.
That was the premise of an episode in one thirty

(45:32):
years ago. Is that wild? Forty years ago. What am
I saying forty years ago? It's wild then, I guess
it's said that we're with the same issues back then
right now that they were back then. It shows you
how little has changed exactly. But I had had to
bring it up because it was it was profound. But anyway,

(45:54):
there's a lot of you know, like young people, what
you know, the angst may do a thing about out.
I mean, you name the subject from drugs to you know,
beautie of fathers, I mean, you name it. It's well
in this show, it's a really good show with basketball
is the backs Rob And so anyway, I want to
I want you to keep watching because I want to.

(46:16):
I have a crusade to remake the show. Right now.
I'll go back and watch the entire series if I
can find the entire Do you know how many seasons
it was? I want to say it was there was
fifty some episodes. I don't know what happened, maybe ended
abruptly like three or four seasons. So I didn't really
have a proper closure or anything. No, it didn't well,

(46:40):
but you know, it's funny. It was a it's a
one off type of show. It wasn't um it wasn't
a was it wasn't a story right that you followed to,
you know, and there's the conclusion that the plots were
always wrapped up at the end of the show. Oh,
I see, So it wasn't episodic to where they right interesting, right,

(47:01):
But I mean you see the kids grow and it's
it's cool, like like there's an episode going on the
travel but there's an episode where it's a lighter episode,
but it's where they go to team goes and plays
in a tournament in San Jose and you get these
kids who are from Watts, right, They never they were

(47:25):
never on a plane before. So it's this The whole
episode takes place on this plane where these kids had
never flown, and there's some trouble with the landing year
and you can imagine, but you know that's not unrealistic
for uh, you know, fifteen year old kid growing up
in Watts. Trust I'm saying that Watts is about twenty

(47:47):
minutes away from where I grew up. And you'd be amazed.
Are people listening will be amazed how many people grew
up in south central Los Angeles is located who have
not been outside of like a fifteen mile radius of
their neighborhoods. Exactly. People who live in southern California that've
never been to Disneyland or I've never seen other landmarks.
They all they know is their neighborhood. That is a
realistic story that does happen. Yeah. Yeah, So anyway, so

(48:11):
I'm I'm one figging to dive in on this. Good,
I haven't I have a new show to watch. Good.
I'm glad because I'm glad swaying you on this thing,
you know, Christie pay attention. Oh yeah, all right, I
know you would. All right, So let's let's get deep
dive into the quarterbacks. All right, let's deep dive into it.

(48:36):
I already did, Chris. Let's deep dive into it. And
let's start in the A f C. East. So the Patriots,
now this is the most secretive organization. What are the
Patriots going to do a quarterback? There's some reports that
maybe there's a reunion of sorts with Jimmy Gee fig

(49:02):
You like Jimmy g going back to New England. Um, yeah,
I couldn't hurt. It's a system that he's familiar with.
He had success there, however, brief when he was in
New England. The big issue with him is not his talent,
his ability is just whether or not he can stay healthy.
And I think that's independent of what organization he's playing for.
I know people want to, you know, point fingers to say,

(49:23):
well San Francisco was like the most injured team this
past year, but I mean, you know this is I
think I heard the stat he's missed the equivalent of
a season and a half worth of games the last
three years. That's a lot of games to be missing
for a guy that's supposed to be a franchise quarterback.
So if I'm the Patriots, I'm interested, but I'm skeptical
because I know his injury history and you know, you

(49:43):
know how important it is to have a healthy starting
quarterback everything. So it's something I would consider, especially if
the compensation doesn't have to be too high. It's worth
a flyer if you're New England. Sure, yeah. It's bizarre.
By the way, where the fellas with the link out
Figgy in and we're from the Farmers Insurance Fox sports
radio studios called one Farmers and the Switch. You can

(50:06):
save an average of four utret seventy dollars and auto
insurance that's a lot of money for a quick phone call.
Thought you think average nationwide annual savings survey David July
to December are So it's a fascinating discussion to see
about New England and what they do at quarterback and

(50:30):
if Jimmy Gee's the answer, now, what do you do
with the Jets? Stuff do the Jets? It looks like
there's a lot of interests with Donald And speaking of
the Niners and Jimmy g there's some talk about Donald
going to San Francisco. Yeah. I don't know exactly what's
happening with the Jets because some reports say they're they're

(50:50):
all in looking for a quarterback and they'll trade Donald.
And there's other reports. And you know that Salo and
the and the staff likes Donald and thinks there's potential
there and want to continue to build around him. Um,
I'll tell you what I would do. I think Sam
Darna would benefit from a change of scenery. Quite honestly,
I am higher on him than you are, Uh Lincoln,
I are higher on him than you are for sure.

(51:11):
And I don't think he's like you know some He's
not gonna be the second coming of Tom Brady. Or anything.
But he's like, I think he's a quarterback as talented
enough and good enough for you to be able to
win games with. But I do think his time has
come and gone with the Jets and they need to
start over. A quarterback go will be best for him
and best for the city if they move on. Well,
let's let's adaly this real quick, because I think it's
an interesting conversation so you can win your Your assessment

(51:34):
is you can win with him, which I think it
could be reasonable, you know, if if you build the
right offense around him. He is mobile, right, you know,
I'm not in love with his arm at times. You know,
again he had some decent weapons, but he had no
time with the Jets, no time to throw, so running
game to speak up at all? Correct? But is he

(51:58):
a guy? Remember the four quarterbacks in the Final four? Right?
Who You had Alan who developed into a star, Mahomes
who is a star, and then you had the two Goats,
Rogers and Brady. So it's that level of quarterback play
that you really need. Now. I don't know can you

(52:19):
get Donald into the Josh Allen kind of mold at
a stretch. So if you're the Jets, do you say,
you know what, let me just trade him and let
me take a flyer that there's talk that they like
Zack Wilson, who you don't like. Correct, I don't like him,
but you know, I mean again, I'm not in love

(52:40):
with anybody other than Sunshine, Yes, Sunshine from Clemson. I mean,
I think I think Donald can get you to a
level of Ryan Tannehill, who's not great, he's not terrible,
but I think if you have a team that's built
around the running game and make some easy throws for him,
he can make the plays with his feet. You know,
I think Ryan Tanneill, let this point, you probably look

(53:00):
at as a top fifteen quarterback in the NFL. I
think Sam Donald can reach that level. So think about
this and ponder. We'll talk about it. Can't Are you
kidding yourselves by taking a fund now again, saying these
Tannhill is reasonable, But you gotta do a lot to

(53:23):
be had. You gotta go get Derrick Henry. Right. Yeah,
that puts the burden on you having to build more
around your roster you don't have. The margin of error
is much thinner when you don't have a standout quarterback.
Right and by the way. They have two terrific receivers
in Brown and Davis. Like they got they got some,
but they got some good, some weapons surrounding their quarterback

(53:44):
with weapons. So do you try to upgrade and do
you try to go with Zach Wilson If you think
that there's a possibility that Zack Wilson could be a
better franchise quarterback, let's discuss it. We're going through the
quarterback carrousel right here. The Fellas. He's the fig I'm
cause linkof fellas on Fox. Fellas, he's the fig Kevin

(54:17):
Figures Rising Star. I'm cause where the Fellas slink off today.
Don't forget We're live from the Farmers Insurance Fox Sports
Radio Studios. Call one eight eight Farmers to switch. You
can save a bundle on your auto in shorts. Little
Stevie action, all right, Uh, Chris got good tastes man

(54:43):
Stevie rules. So here's the deal. All right. So if
you're looking at the Jets and what quarterback, do you
take a shot? Do you think Zack Wilson can be
a franchise guy? Got a buddy of mine who loves
Zack Wilson. He's he loves him because dude, you're you

(55:05):
overlove Lawrence. Zach Wilson's a player. What do you think
of Zach Wilson. I like Zack Wilson as the second
best quarterback in the class, even more so than Justin Fields.
I don't know if he's a superstar, but I do
think he's good enough to be a good starting quarterback
at the NFL level, better than Donald possibly. I think
what we have nowadays, and especially with the NFL changing

(55:27):
the draft rules, where there is a hard salary limit
that you can give these quarterbacks and they aren't making
outrageous money, it is empowered teams to be able to
cut bait on players that they're not convinced of being
able to fill that position. The chief example is what
the Cardinals did. They drafted Josh Rosen In the very
next year, they took Kyler Murray. I know circumstances with

(55:47):
hiring the new head coach who had worked with him before,
Kingsbury and all that, but you're you're you're more willing
to move off of a young quarterback if in your
mind you're convinced he is not the guy to go
into a different direction. So if you're the Jets and
you feel that Zack Wilson is a significant upgrade over
Sam Donald. I don't know how significant it is, but
I do think right now, based on what I've seen,

(56:08):
he's an upgrade over Sam Donald. If I were them,
I would trade Donald away and see what I have
with Zack Wilson. Try to put weapons around him and
use him as my building block. Yeah, yeah, I agree. Um,
I think that's a that's an interesting take. Yeah. I mean,
because it's the devil that you know versus the devil
that you don't. So conceivably Donald could be better with

(56:28):
weapons around him, But we know how he plays when
he doesn't have a lot working you. Look, I mean,
unless you're an elite of an elite quarterback, you're not
gonna play when you have little surrounding you. But again,
I do think a change of scenery could be best
for him, And I think you could give the organization
a shot in the arm to have some new blood
and a new hope in there with Zach Wilson. All right,
so uh, And then then we know Buffalo is Buffalo

(56:50):
with Josh Allen and of course the last team in
the division Miami with two uh. And now I think
it's time to try to get it to us a
big time weapon and see if he can really you know,
progress to take that next step. But you hope, I
mean to uh, As we talked about this last year,
I was never a fan of two as a pro prospect,

(57:12):
to be honest. So and he now, granted he was
a rookie last year, and I don't know if he
ever played spectacularly. He had some solid moments and then
obviously got benched later on. And there are rumors that,
look they might be looking at possibly moving on at
the right opportunity presents itself in Miami. So I think
that's something to monitor to As we talked about the
quarterback carousel and guys falling out a favor early on,

(57:34):
you know, Brian Flores is saying all the right things,
but I don't know if they were convinced that to
talk Volo as the player they thought he was going
to be when they drafted him. So I think that's
a situation that you may want to monitor. Yes, I
think one of the priorities is to get more offensive weapons,
but I think within that, if they can find a
quarterback upgrade, I think that's something they may look into
as well. All Right, so here, if you're Miami, like,

(57:56):
do you go Alabama Alabama and go DeVante Smith and
Najia Harris you got three and eight teen? I would
I've already got you got a really good defense, like
the bones of a really good defense. And if you're
gonna find out about well, you know, you could go

(58:17):
get two studs to Alabama studs and you'll find out. Yeah.
I think I think his best the best option for
tour right now is to have a strong running game.
So I wouldn't take Najie Harris like the third third
overall pick. I wouldn't take him that high. But if
you get your hands on him, Devant, you're gonna take
DeVante Smith correct three and and you're gonna take Nagia

(58:40):
Harris eight team. Yeah, I understand that. Tea Yeah, and Smith.
I think if you're gonna build a passing game with
two a talk, he's not gonna air the ball out
sixty yards down the field. The good thing about Davante
Smith is he can take the top off of defense
or you can throw it to him laterally, and he
can make plays on his own, so he will be
an excellent fit. I'm just saying in general, for TWA,
I don't think you he's a guy that you wanted

(59:01):
dropp him back to throw forty times a game and
expect to win games for you. So I think he's
a guy. He's honestly on the level of Sam Donald
where I think he needs a lot around him to
be successful, which is why I didn't think he should
have been as I have a pick as he was
taken last year. All right, let's keep going quarterback when
we go through each team in their quarterback situation. So, Baltimore,

(59:21):
you know Lamar is the guy. Now is the time
to try to get Lamar some more help? Right? Do
you need to go get him? Do you go get
There's some talk about Alan Robinson and trying to get
Alan Robinson, and uh, this way you give him more
than just one receiver and one tight end. I mean

(59:42):
it can't hurt, but I mean also he has to
be able to step up and become a better passer.
You can get all the weapons you want. If guys
are running open and you're airmail on the ball fifteen
yards down field, it doesn't matter who you have. I
don't think that Lamar Jackson or the Baltimore Ravens offensive struggles.
From a receiving standpoint, I think there are last in
the league have a whole lot to do or or

(01:00:03):
more so to do with their talent level, and I
think it's more it's less to do with the talent level.
I'm more so to do with Lamar Jackson and his
lack of development as a downfield passer and as a
threat as a passer. If you look at any highlight
videos of Lamar Jackson, especially passing plays, guys are open
by eight, ten, twelve yards, which generally doesn't happen, but
it happens because he's so good running the ball that

(01:00:24):
we understand that. But the better teams that have been
able to stop them zone him up and say you're
not going to run the ball, See if you can
beat us with your arm, And he hasn't been able
to do that consistently. And I think that's independent of
the talent and more tog just do with his personal development. Well,
that's true, and we keep talking about it. That is
the whole thing with Lamar is can he throw his

(01:00:45):
way to try to get to a Super Bowl? And
you're gonna have to at some point throw the football
and now again Philly Brown is good. He's a chest catcher. Yeah,
I'm not not a big fan of that, but you
know what I mean. But he got wheels. But right,
he's got Steve Wayne and he could he can he
can run for sure. I actually like the kid do

(01:01:08):
Fornat kid from Texas who I think is pretty good.
But they they they've struggled and they've gone you know,
the tight ended that easy throw over the middle is
what they really focus on. So they need to expand
that offense and pray and work with him that he
can be the guy elsewhere in that division. You know,
Burrows the guy, but you gotta keep him upright, fig

(01:01:31):
you do. You gotta improve that offensive line, uh, you know,
run the ball a little bit more with mixing back there.
What are you gonna do weapons wise with him? What's
the future of a J Green? But yeah, the biggest
thing with him is just finding a way to keep
Burrow healthy because let me look last year when he
was healthy, dartha receiving talent or not, he was playing
pretty darn well. So and you know a lot of

(01:01:51):
people have questions about him because they thought he was
maybe a one year wonder at l s U. But
you know, he looked pretty good. He looked pretty damn
good last year when he was healthy. So Bengals fans
have that to be encouraged by it. But to your point, yeah,
you gotta keep him up right. So if you can
find a way to get yourself an offensive lineman, uh,
that's that might be a direction where they want to
go in already Cleveland, here's the big question. Yeah, they're

(01:02:13):
gonna be all in on Baker. They're gonna give him
a huge contract. Baker, of course twenty TVs. Only three interceptions. Man,
I mean, you know it's you're in a tough spot, right,
this is like the is it like you gotta you
gotta marry him? Are you ready to marry Baker? So again,

(01:02:33):
it's like you had success. You made it to the postseason,
you know, one a postseason game. That's but I mean
it wasn't necessarily because Baker Mayfield played like this out
of this world type of quarterback. If anything, I give
credit to Kevin Stefanski for realizing what his shortcomings were
as a player and playing to baker strengths. The problem
is you didn't draft you know, the first overall pick

(01:02:54):
to be a game manager, you know, And that's that's
the issue. Are you gonna pay him franchise quarterback money
to be a game manager? At this point? A good one,
he's a because what he lacks in the pure talent department,
he is a pretty good spiritual guy. Like as far

(01:03:14):
as leadership and stuff, I mean, he does he does,
you know what, I mean, A good sound bite here
and there and he and I thought, I do think
he does a good job of fire and the guys
up around him. I heard the guys like him a lot,
which is a big help, which which helps a lot um.
But at a certain point, the production on the field

(01:03:34):
has and look, there has to be times where you
can take over a game as well, and I don't
know if he can do that on a consistent basis
yet again it's still young in his career, um, But
I that there are in a tough spot, and I
think to a certain degree Baltimore is too. And they're
talking about giving Lamar Jackson an extension. At what point
do you realize, Okay, these are shortcomings that the guy
won't be able to show up. Can you make that

(01:03:56):
decision before you end up catching in and giving that
guy a giant contract, and now all of a sudden
you're stuck with someone who wasn't developing the way you
hoped he would for an additional four or five years.
I think I think Cleveland and Baltimore are kind of
in that same position right now. The Bob Baltimore has
a little bit more on their working against them from
that standpoint, because the Mars already won an MVP Award

(01:04:17):
and Baker hasn't. But that's a decision that you have
to make. Is he a guy that can take us
to the next level. We've gotten to the postseason, We've
built a good defense, we have some solid weapons offensively.
Is this the guy that can take us over the
top and get us out of the Wild Car Round
and get us into the conference championship game with the
Super Bowl. Yeah, that's a tough question to ask. It
is obviously. The tough question in Pittsburgh is going to

(01:04:42):
be the future of Roethlisberger, who said he was coming back,
but he now loses his center. So Pouncy retires last
night the brothers do it together, the twins, uh, and
so you remember the tiary goodbye After the loss to Cleveland.
So is what do you do with Ben that you

(01:05:04):
gotta try to piece meal one more year or do
you say yo back, just you know, call call it
quits and let's rebuild this thing. I mean, if it
were me, there's I know rumors about him lowering his
cap number and renegotiating his contract, which I believe he'll
do because his number is insane right now. Draft the
quarterback of the future, now it's it's not Mason Rudolph,

(01:05:25):
it's not the kid from Tennessee whose name slips my
mind right now, and find out whoever that is, whether
it's the second round, or maybe use your first round
pick on a quarterback that you think can carry you
into the future and bring Ben back for one more
year for a swan song, and maybe you can maybe
you can make it back to the postseason. Rebuilt the
offensive line, run the ball more. What a novel concept.

(01:05:45):
That might be one of the worst rushing teams I
think they were. Yeah, I get back to stealer football
because I think, look, I mean, look at the numbers
that big being put up this year, you know, even
with the injuries and banged up in fourty years old,
whatever it is, he's still productive. So imagine if he
has a great first half. I mean, remember they were
eight no, I mean they were, they were amazing the

(01:06:06):
first half, and then they really you know, they got
some they got a lot of injuries, what people from
defense for sure, and people thought they were a fraud
of an eight. No. I think they were into her
eleven and know at one point before it all came down.
So I think big Ben, you know, like Tom Brady,
like Philip Rivers this past year, these guys get up
there in age, they need more help. You know, big

(01:06:27):
Man is not gonna will a team to victory anymore
like he did ten years ago. But he can still
be an effective player if he has enough around him
right now. So just find a way to run the
ball draft as a successor in the draft this year
and keep Big Ben around for one more season. It's
funny they added Haskins. I saw that to try to
you know, see you know, Mal maybe take a flyer

(01:06:48):
on him, you know, because they have they just said nobody,
you know, Dobbs isn't the guy. Gosh, Dobbs, that's what
is you know, I mean, they just don't, you know, Rudolph,
I agree, with you guys are backups. You know, yeah,
I know you're You're right on. So they have some
serious problems. I'll sell uh hitting sw some trending, and

(01:07:09):
then we'll move to the a f C South. All right,
we'll talk some NBA. From Friday night, the Lakers won
their seventh game game in a row. They defeated the
Memphis Grizzlies one fifteen to one oh five. They overcame
a twenty point deficit in the first quarter to get
that victory. Lebron James had twenty eight points, nine rebounds,
and eight assists. Utah, with the best record in the
league a half game up on the Lakers. They won

(01:07:31):
their six game in a row with a victory over
the Milwaukee Bucks. You have Nicola Yokick with twenty two points,
thirteen rebounds and nine assists leading Denver over Oklahoma City.
Luka don Check with forty six points and twelve assists.
He out dual Zaiah Williamson, who had a career high
thirty six points, and Dallas notches a victory over in
New Orleans. Said dig Bay seven for seven from three

(01:07:51):
point distance, coming off the bench to score thirty points
for the Detroit Pistons. Absolutely ridiculous that the Pistons have
beaten I think they've beaten the Sixers. They beat in
the Lakers a couple of a couple of times. They're
the giant killers. That seems like they can't be bad teams,
but they beat all the good times. So they upset
the Celtics. On Friday night, Hornets with the victory. Nicks
in Orlando with winds as well Nick Usevitch forty two

(01:08:13):
points for Orlando as they beat Sacramento. The NFL Jaguar
Streth coach Chris Doyle resigned. I made a public backlash
over his hiring in golf Jordan's Speed one Shot League
over Daniel Berger at the program in Pebble Beach. Tennis
at the Australian Open, second seat to Rafaionadal won his
third round matchup in straight sets just moments ago. On
the women's side, Ashley bar to the top seat advances

(01:08:35):
to the fourth round. What they went in straight sets
earlier this morning. Back to the fellas, all right, that's
us he is Kevin figures, I'm Anthony Gargano and thinking
Kennedy is off. So it's fig and cause today on
this Valentine's Day weekend. I hope here morning is going well.

(01:08:56):
Don't forget we come you alive from the Farmers and Shore.
It's Fox Sports Radio Studios. Call one eight eight eight
Farmers and you can save a whole lot of something
on auto insurance. Let's get to the A s C. South.
Of course, it all begins with Deshaun Watson and whether
or not Houston will trade them. I mean that's gonna

(01:09:18):
go down, like at some point do you make the
move and do you say, all right? If I could
get you know, if Stafford went for that hall right,
what would do Shaun Watson go for? Now? The eight
keeps saying no, no, no, no, no, I don't want
to trade him. But is it possible that there's a

(01:09:39):
team out there that's willing to say, you know what,
let's go for it right now, let's mortgage whatever future
we have and cash it all in for de Shaun.
It would have to be a giant hall, like three
four first round pick type of hall, because if I'm Houston,
there's no way I'm trading him. And he can say
I'm not coming to train the camp, which he'll be

(01:10:01):
fine if he doesn't, he can say I'm gonna retire,
what you'll have to pay back all of his signing
bonus money, which he hasn't pocketed it yet. By the way,
people are trying to draw comparisons to Carson Palmer, Carlson
Palmer had already made his money. He was in his
early thirties by the time he decided he was going
to retire and not play for the Bengals. The leverage
for me on this side all lies with the Houston Texans,
not with Deshaun Watson. You know, they could pick up

(01:10:22):
a veteran quarterback in the off season and say, okay,
if he doesn't report, we'll go with this guy, will
do a mini rebuild and let him, you know, fade
off into the sunset. I would call Deshaun Watson's bluff
if I'm Houston. I don't know if there's a deal
out there that will make me that would make me
want to trade him away. If I was Houston, it
will depend. I mean, I agree, I'm the whole aspect

(01:10:42):
is to get the franchise quarterbacks, and when you get him,
you don't want to trade him. And uh, you know again,
unless it's some ridiculous package that we're not you know
that we're not seeing something inconceivable like six first round
picks or something. And even then, I don't know if
he is worth it. When you have a franchise player

(01:11:03):
for a four and twelve team that put up one
of the best offensive seasons for that a quarterback has
had in recent years, I mean that tells you how
great he is. How little he had to work with
the numbers that he put up is ridiculous. And now
that for me, if I'm the Texas, that empowers me
even more to say, Man, imagine if we can just
improve a little bit, get a little bit more help,
how much better we can be. And that's why I

(01:11:24):
would be tempted if I was, if I were them,
to just write this thing out and call his bluff
on it. Yeah. Yeah, that's a great point. It really is.
I mean, you know, you sit there and you go, dude, really,
you know, I gotta get up. There's no way in
the world I can move on from him. So you know,
that's that's the biggest news in the a f C South.

(01:11:45):
You're set with Tanny Hill. Yeah, I mean, looks I
think it's just about improving your defense in Tennessee. Yeah,
you know, they especially their defensive line. They had one
of the worst pass rushes in the league this year,
which was a strength of them last season when they
made it to the f C title game. They were
great up front, but they had a couple of losses
traded away Jarell Casey and that affected them a little bit.

(01:12:05):
But if they get that defense short up again again,
Tannehill is good enough to be able to win with
with enough around him. You mentioned the offensive weapons that
receiver and of course Derrick Henry probably should have got
more love for m VP this year, To be quite
honest with you, I mean, he was fabulous, ridiculous, he
really was. So. I mean, as a team, they're pretty
well equipped. They get some help on the defensive line. J. J. Watt,

(01:12:26):
maybe you know they they can they can see themselves
right back in the and contender the contending picture next year.
I don't think that's quarterback. I think they're set for
now yep. And Jacksonville will be set whence they draft
Trevor Lawrence. And of course that brings us to the
Colts and whether or not they can land Carson Wentz.
It seems to be the perfect fit. You have you know,

(01:12:48):
his former coach who was really the brains behind the
operation in Frank Reich. Uh. You have Press Taylor, whom
Carson loves. He loves Press to hell. Or he was
the quarter of back coach in Philadelphia and he's on
the Cults ruck. Now here's the thing. He's Everybody I

(01:13:09):
talked to tells me He's culture is number one choice
by far. He's an Indiana guy, right like he's that's
he that's perfect for him. You know, you're a two
hour flight from North Dakota. I don't think he ever
really loved being on the East Coast, not a big

(01:13:29):
you know, the Philadelphia thing was a lot for him.
I think, you know, it's it's you know, it's a
big deal being in the quarterback of the Eagles and
you know people are in your business and they're stalking you,
and you know it's it's nasty, right Like it can
be like a nasty situation because they cared deeply. We

(01:13:50):
care a lot about that, and that sounds so I
think he's probably he would love to be in Indie.
I also think Chicago will be good for him. I
think Indie, Indie would be better for the indie situation
before we get to Chicago. I found interesting. There was
an initial report when there was talk of the possibility
of him being traded, that the Colts actually didn't share

(01:14:12):
in that interest in bringing him in, which I found interesting.
Now whether or not that's true, I'm not sure, um,
but they said that Frank Reich had no interest in
bringing in Carson Wentz, which I thought was very And Yeah,
I don't know where with that, where that report coming from,
And I don't remember where it came from. This is
maybe about three weeks ago when this story came out. Yeah,
I gotta tell you, I know that Ray loves Wentz.

(01:14:33):
You know, maybe that was somebody trying to throw out
some sort of smoke screen or something. I'm not to present.
Sure Chicago is intriguing, um, because we'll get I'm sorry,
we'll get We'll get to We'll get to Chicago going.
I'm gonna get through the rest of the the the
A f C. Because your raiders are fascinating, right like

(01:14:54):
your raiders? Do you move off from car And what
are you gonna do with Mario? Do you have that?
Is anybody every interested? Because Mariota is an interesting stop
gat kind of guy too. Yeah, he's a stop gap guy.
I think if they had their druthers, I think it
all depends on what package they could get, but they
probably rather trade Mariota and see if they can get
some value for him because his cap numbers is so

(01:15:15):
high for being a backup. Uh. You know, for the
story that came out a few weeks ago about the
Raiders looking like trying to get two first round picks
and all that, I don't see that happening for Derek Carr.
I put him kind of in the same tier we
talked about, you know, Ryan Tannehill at his highest point.
I think Derek Carr is probably around there. At his best.
He's somewhere around the bottom part of the top ten

(01:15:35):
to twelve quarterbacks in the league, which again good enough
to win with if he has enough around him, but
far from gung ho franchise guy let's give up the
farm to bring him in. So I don't think the
Raiders trade him unless they unless they find a way
to get to Shaun Watson or find a way to
get Russell Wilson or some franchise changing type of quarterback.
And I don't see either of those happening. So I

(01:15:56):
don't think Derek Carr is going anywhere. Yeah, you know,
it's funny. I'm just I just don't think you can.
I agree with you that if you put the right
team around them, But I don't think he's special enough
to get to an elite level. I mean, you gotta
really have a bet and they need so much work
on defense, correct. I just don't know if you can

(01:16:19):
get there. Yeah, I mean I look at I don't know,
and I've I've been calling a hot tach artist for
saying this, But I don't think Matt Ryan was ever
like a phenomenal, standout, you know, great quarterback. I think
he was a guy that came in has been surrounded
by phenomenal weapons. I think they, the Falcons knew that
he was someone that needed a lot of explosive weapons
around him, needed a running game. The year he had

(01:16:40):
his MVP season when they went to the Super Bowl,
I think they were top three in the league and
running the ball too. I think Derek Carr is kind
of in that same mold. If he has enough weapons
around him, he's good enough. I never thought that Matt
Ryan was that great of a quarterback to be honest
with him. I just thought he was surrounding a great talent.
It's a hot takey it's a little hot takey fing.
I mean, I think is who was my ry? Ryan's

(01:17:01):
got a ten times better arm than Derek Carr. Now
I wouldn't go that far, and we're just talking pure
arm talent, no arm talents, way better than I think.
He's throwing the ball deeper more. But who was he
had to throw to Roddy White, Julio Jones, who Derek
Carbon thrown to the majority of his career CA I
mean wobble. Oh he doesn't. He's a wabble cars arm armor.

(01:17:25):
He has a plus arm and he's got to tell
you he has a plus arm. It's it's a plus zero,
that's for sure. He's I'm saying for years he's been
digging and duncan because he has to, and not that
he is. Not that he can't because he doesn't have
the talent around him to be able to wear eyepatch
on both eyes. More critical of him or more critical

(01:17:49):
of the Raiders than me, I am the I A
we gotta take time out all the thought. I love
getting you round up patch. He's fit right, now and
for the big link. All right, I'm cause we're together
fellas right here Fox Sports Radio. Fat, I's try he's

(01:18:24):
the fig. I'm cousin. We're hanging out big links off
today talking quarterbacks live from the Farmers Insurance Fox Sports
Radio Studios called Farmers Today and get a quote. All right,
I riled him up with his rates. So charges are
all set, chiefs are all set, and uh as we

(01:18:48):
move into the NFC. Got me rolled up, by the way. Well,
you know you're on the right. Matt Ryan's arm. I
can't tell under rates. Aren't think you underrating cars? Arm?
That's all where from Football Focus, we need to get this.
I get that in the mix. See what they say. Listen.

(01:19:11):
It's good. But sometimes I hate the the analytic football
analytic guy. So the people that use it as religion,
you take it as religion. Yeah, I that's kind of
my hate of all hates, sports hates. Yeah. My thing

(01:19:32):
is I love. I love when analytics can actually confirm
a thought that you already have, you know, and I
think that's what it should be used for. So if
you and if you if you see somebody you think like, oh,
Matt Ryan's arm is like, you know, a plus plus
he is, like, you know, in the top ninety of
the percentile. And then you look up the analytic guys
or nerds or whatever you wanna call them, and they
say like, yeah, he's in the upper eighty percent. I

(01:19:53):
was like, all right, I wasn't wrong the number. The
numbers back up what my anecdotal belief is. Yeah. I
mean your eyes tell you all you need to know, though,
I mean that's you know again, mostly stuff like that.
I mean, you know, you look and just watch the game,
that's all you need it. It wouldn't be for something
like arm strength. I think it's more granular things that

(01:20:15):
maybe you don't look at on a play in playout basis. Yeah, no, listen,
there's definitely a place for it, and there's definitely uh,
it's definitely a tool in the box. But you know,
this whole idea that it's it's to go. It's the
same thing I hate the the go for it guys
go for you to go fourth down, They overgo for it,

(01:20:37):
Like there are times when you know you gotta go
for it and you want to make sure you're playing
a potent offense that you want to keep off the field,
and you know you're gonna need touchdowns, Well you gotta
be in go for it mode, right yeah, like, um,
you know, like the Bucks did in the Super Bowl,
go for it on fourth and goal because assumably at
that assuming, at that point in time of the game,
we gotta score touchdowns because we're not gonna shut these

(01:20:58):
guys out. No, No, it was a smart move. I'd
go for it, and I would go for it. You
know there are times, you mean, my whole territory, it
could be your only the game. And if I know
I need to have possessions and it's a possession game,
then there are things I'll do. But the position is important.
Then don't just go for it because she tells you
to go for it exactly and to go for two guys.

(01:21:21):
Al right, whatever, you know, let me give me a break.
What about momentum? You know that's a thing, go for exactly.
Thank you? Fellas back Big hour ahead, Oh welcome back Fellis.

(01:21:44):
Let's try you heard Big Link is off today, Figgy in.
I'm cause Chris is in where the Fellas And you
know what the best is, dude, I I the big name.
Just text to me. So he's feeling good big link good,
which is always a plan, which is always good. We

(01:22:05):
love him and we're live from the Farmers Insurance Fox
Sports Radio Studios. Call one eight eight eight Farmers to switch.
You can save big on your auto insurance. It's really
the best thing you can do with your phone in
just a few minutes. It's called eight eight eight Farmers
Start saving today. We are farmers, all right, We all right,

(01:22:31):
and he just tuned in. We're kind of playing our
our quarterback musical chairs. Figgy has indulged me into going
over the quarterback position with every team. We actually made
it through the whole a f C. Although we've got
sidetrack with Denver. Oh well yeah, but it be terrible

(01:22:56):
or a bad perform for me to say no matter
what they do, it'll be an upgrade the quarterback. No
would be accurate. For what it's amazing. It is the
cursive elway, right, Like you know, you got a decrepit
Peyton and that and you're able to limp in with
a great defense and win. But it's been the cursive

(01:23:16):
elway ever since. It's amazing how that franchise just couldn't
can't get a quarterback man really is amazing. When it
comes to John Elway that the Hall of Fame quarterback
can't spot another one, you know. I mean, it's really
mind boggling. To be honest with you, I don't understand,
Like I don't understand what they look at when they

(01:23:38):
see Lock. I don't either, And I didn't like to
pick out of when they took him initially. I thought
it was puzzling. It's amazing. And you know, it's funny
because we didn't talk much about Mariota and I listen,
I always stay there's limitations to Mariota. But I always
wondered if you got with a really good coach, right,
someone that really fixed him a little bit, because he

(01:24:00):
can the one game where Car was hurt and he
came in, Yeah, I granted, it's when you're preparing for
Car and you and you get Mariota, who's very mobile,
well you know, things start to open up. So it
was a bit scute. But he does he is at
least he can move, and he's got a you know,
decent arm right. He gives you a different dimension, you know,

(01:24:24):
and so in the right office today, Yeah, for sure,
I don't know if I trust him to, like, you know,
go under center and drop back, you know, twenty times
a game. But you can certainly, you know, if you want.
He was the example of the Shanahan's type offense. I
think that's the kind of offense that he can thrive
in or you know, similar to what Baltimore is doing
with Lamar Jackson, he can thrive in at all. Yeah,

(01:24:47):
he absolutely is not a great thrower to by any stretch.
But he's a better thrower than Lamar is. Absolutely. You
know again, I I just wonder if you guy if
he got with I liked him come out of r
and I liked him coming out of college same. I
just I just thought, you know, he had a minute spot.
I don't know, maybe I could be wrong, but I
look at like Drew Lock, I go, why rather Mariota

(01:25:10):
then Lock? I agree, you know, And they got some
talenting at why receiver man. Yeah, Denver has got some
great weapons, they really do, I really do. They have
to find somebody that can actually get them the ball
now than Drew lock is that guy? No? No, So uh,
let's before we get back into into the whole discussion

(01:25:33):
and tackle you had FC. You don't forget we do
the four and the fourd's coming up next, so we'll
do that. Uh, it'll just be a quick four. It's
you versus Chris and the Ford today. How about that?
Because no link Bo is at home. He's uh, he's
produced from home today, not feeling well. Yeah, you gotta

(01:25:58):
be careful, no doubt the stuff. Yeah we were. We're
sending our good wishes to you. But you know, here's
the thing. When football gets is over, do you have
that you get a pang of like like this weekend
is a rough weekend and when it comes to sports,

(01:26:21):
like there's nothing that's juicy, Like you got your n
B A and let's face it, COVID NBA regular season
is not the most scintilating, right, Like you like your team.
It's the same thing with hockey, right like this COVID
regular season, Like you gotta you gotta wait to all tournament.
Really and you got some decent college games, say we're

(01:26:45):
to get into it, but it's even the college basketball
is a bizarre year because all the blue bloods aren't
going to make the tournament. Yeah, and you have a
team like Michigan who's having a great year. They hadn't
played in a month, just getting back at it. A
lot of things thrown up in the air. When it
comes to that, the football withdrawals. I feel like the
older I've gotten, the less and less it's affected me. Um.

(01:27:09):
I I am disappointed that there's no more football, but
there are other things. I am well in tune to
college basketball and the NBA, and it it satiates me
well enough. Um. The dog days of summer are the
ones that actually get me. You know, when you're in
like game forty you have for the Major League Baseball
season and there's literally nothing else happening. That's the kind
of time is where I really miss football. But there's

(01:27:31):
enough going on right now after football ends to to
to satiate me well enough, to be honest, and honestly,
the off season chatter does it for me too. We
talked about that a little bit earlier in the show.
I know it's not actual games and it does satiate you. Yes, really,
I am not the least I'm I don't know, I

(01:27:55):
was getting ready to tell al I won't say I'm
not the least bit depressed that there's no football, but
I'm not extremely to press. There's football, all right, So
think about that. I want to I want you to
go deep here for sect. Sure. One of the things
that we love of being a sports fan is the
importance of games. Right now, if you're a league watcher, Now,

(01:28:16):
we're all fan watchers, right, team watchers. We all have
our you know, favorite team or the team we cover,
whatever it is, but we're all league watchers, right like
you know, if you're a football fan, you're a global
football fan. You you the league and nothing, no one
does event better than the NFL because every game is

(01:28:39):
an event, right, It's every games an event. And and
you're coming off playoffs where there's it's even even more heightened.
So there's something at steak. So when you watch the game,
and there were many events right, three and a half hours,
and there's something at steak. So you're now turning to

(01:28:59):
pay age. And I love basketball, and I love I
like hockey too. I'm a big hockey fan. But here's
the deal. It's red dog days of February, NBA and NHL.
You know, you don't get butterflies. You get butterflies for football,
and especially playoff football. So now you've got no you've

(01:29:21):
got no flapping, you've got no butterflies. I understand that notion.
But as someone again, I do love basketball too, and
I don't get butterflies, but I do look forward to games,
and I look forward to Markey matchups when young stars
are playing against each other. That's that's good. Look, we're
coming off of a spring last year where he didn't

(01:29:41):
have anything. We literally had nothing at all. So having
lived through that, we got a football season, and thankfully
in college in the in the NFL, we're back to
semi normalcy, although we don't have fans in the stands yet.
With the NBA and college basketball in the NHL back
in action, things sort of feel norm And there's sports.
There are sports that are happening is at the event

(01:30:04):
level that we expect and that we love. When it
comes to football, No, but and I've said this over
and over and again to the reason why I love
football so much, at least the reason I believe I
love it so much and the country loves it so much,
is because it's so scarce. It has the shortest regular
season and the longest off season of any sport. And
I think that aids football in the long run. Yeah

(01:30:29):
it does. Yeah, it does leave you one more and
the ultimate you know, we talk about binge watching, right,
it's the ultimate. I look forward to wasting wasting my
Sundays next September doing nothing by watching football every week.
We gotta ways to go till we get there right now, Like,

(01:30:51):
here's the thing to the tournament, the n C Double
A tournament, These butterflies, right, yeah, and how about cheesed
it because it cooks you see schedule change? Uh no,
I know they're all gonna be in a in one
side in Indianapolis. What schedule change? So Thursday is now

(01:31:12):
the playing games. Friday and Saturday are the first round games? Interesting?
Sunday and Monday second round. Well, you know you can
fiddle with the schedule if you're not traveling anywhere, you know.

(01:31:33):
So if you're gonna be in a bubble situation, I
mean maybe the tournament might be even. The schedule might
be condensed. You don't have to take weekends off for
extra days off in between like you normally would, because
everybody's going to enter into the bubble and I'm assuming
not leave until you get eliminated. Correct, So maybe the
tournament No, well I don't want to go faster. Yeah, no,

(01:31:56):
I need to do I but I mean I guess
it would just make the most sense. You don't want
the kids in the coaches sitting around for two extra day,
three extra days if they don't have to. I would
I would be interesting how I would do it would
be I would stagger if you're gonna be able to
stagger play instead of doing And I love like the
Thursday Friday, which is you know you got sixteen games

(01:32:20):
and sixteen games, right, you could do eight eight eight? Right? Sure,
you absolutely, and then do Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, then
go around two so you could still be playing. You
know what I mean. There's ways you can stagger it,
like you'd have to stagger the brackets. So no team

(01:32:42):
has an advantage of having two extra days off, ruses
another and all that, and then they can I feel
like logistically they can find a way to figure something
like that out. But again, this is a situation similar
to the NBA bubble where things are a little bit different,
So why not play by different rules? This this? You know,
there's one situation, Anthony where I like your idea. This
is pretty good. Why not like my football idea? Of

(01:33:04):
the NFL likes my football idea because I've been talking
about it for over ten years with link and they're
actually going to do my plan, which is the seventeen
games you want, like twenty five games. Though, that's the
problem I said, I said eighteen, Yes, yes, and eighteen
is fine if we can get rid of the preseason
games and actually regular season games, I'm fine with that.

(01:33:25):
But here's the beauty is that I just got you
to agree, e t I have I ever been demonstrably
opposed to eighteen? Notice I said seventeen, but I really
wanted eighteen. I'm fine with it, and you vote yeah.
I don't think I've ever been opposed to that. It's
the one part of the Gargano plan that I'm not
a fan of was having an NFL game on the

(01:33:46):
TV every single night. That's the one that we have
an impass on. Yeah, but you saw it this year. Yeah,
for in unique circumstances and not really come on again.
I go back to the same argument, which is this,
you've got something better to do on a Wednesday night
than watch the NFL. If you do a salute, all right,

(01:34:11):
But if you're a working guy, what by what more
you got on Wednesday? Like Wednesday football? Who knows? At
a time at a place in time. I'm not sure
anything can pop up during the week. I guess my
greater point is, I do think that there's something special
about being able to flip around and channel switch and
do all that on a Sunday afternoon to watch a

(01:34:32):
certain amount of games. One thing I wish they would
do instead of stacking the entire early part of the
schedule together with eleven twelve games, that spread them out
more on the same day, but not every single day
of the week. I don't need football Monday through Friday, Okay,
So happen Monday through Sunday? Alright? Too much? Alright, alright, alright,
take off Wednesday, okay, okay, and then and then you

(01:34:55):
got Thursday through Tuesday. You're down with that. Maybe Thursday.
Maybe in the minute, give me Thursday through Monday. The
Tuesday night football was awesome. Like Tuesday night sucks. Right,
you're not the MP day yet, it's still Tuesday. Now,
you fro football. That's the end of the football week,

(01:35:18):
all right. Now? I feel like I got the Wednesday
next to you know, Friday around the corner. Thinking about it,
from a psychological standpoint, it's jeez to have Tuesday Night football.
You're probably taking saturdays off during the college season, I'm
assuming yes, Okay, so we have to factor that into
if we're talking about Thursday, Monday or Tuesday or whatnot. Yes, yes, yes,
taking that off. All right, Sit tight, We're coming back

(01:35:39):
with the four. I'mrell beating to death until until I
get you to say yes. You know, man, I'm relentless
when it comes to that. We we got the four
coming up, and then I gotta if you watching the
White Shadow, I have been watching. Yes, all right, God
could we're gonna do that as well. We're the Fellas
licking Kennedy's off today. It's Figgy um cause Fox Sports Radio. Uh,

(01:36:10):
welcome back Fellas. Yes, links off Figgy Kevin figures he's
in um cause, don't forget Fellas is. Uh. We always
have a lot of fun and uh, you know we'd

(01:36:31):
come me alive from the Farmers Insurance Fox Sports Radio Studios. Yeah,
call one eight eight eight Farmers and you can save
a whole lot of something on auto insurance. We always
play the four a's. I give the guys four questions
and they're creative with their answers. Now with with figure off,

(01:36:53):
with linkoff, and bow at home. We got a one
on one. Yeah, it's a deathmatch, Figgy versus Chris, Psycho Chris.
Now on the text board, NICKI says, Figgy versus Psycho
Chris and the four I bet grapes and Japanese adam

(01:37:16):
a somehow make it into Chris's answers. It's those are
for rare weeks. All right, here we go, boys, I'll
give you the questions and then we'll motor through them.
So the first question is is give us a trick
to navigate post to football. All right, your own advice
to navigate post football. Question number two, give me convenience

(01:37:44):
store etiquette and item that you can buy at a
convenience store and in even me you can't. This of course,
goes to Jerry Jones buying the wine at seven eleven. Now,
of course we love seven having the taquitos, but not
the wine. I don't know that if you're a billionaire,

(01:38:06):
you could buy your ramarone at seven eleven. Question number three,
give me a show that you want to see or
a movie you want to see remade. This goes off
my White Shadow Crusade. In case you missed it, I've

(01:38:28):
got Figgy watching the White Shadow. I want to remake
the show. I have that my whole idea concept. I've
already written the bible that pits the show. I've got
to set my cast it already. I think it's great.
It's round ball, it's drama, it's youth, it's life, and
basketball is life. Question number four of the four. So

(01:38:54):
you've heard me say hate the face. It's kind of
a fun thing, right, like where you got guys hate
the face, So I have I had added other categories
to hate the face, so you must think of I
hate the face, dumb face, and again it's said with love,

(01:39:15):
Eli Manning, dumb with love right, good face? Right, you
know somebody with good face, like big link is good face,
evil face. That of course could be Jerry Jones. He
actually could be a double double. I hate the face

(01:39:36):
and an evil face. But there you go. The four
faces of sports, hate the face, dumb face, good face,
evil face. That is your four, your four for today.
That last was going to be interesting. You love that

(01:39:57):
last question, the four faces of sports. That like, that's
gonna be my new fun website Faces dot com. Hate
the face, face, thumb face, evil face. Let us start
with how to navigate life post football figures. Well, if

(01:40:20):
you're jonesing for some sort of football, and if you
love the NFL like I do, there's nothing wrong with
signing up for the NFL Game Pass and going back
and watch some of the past great games, either of
your team from this past season or from Super Bowls
past as well. I know that's something that helped me
get me through the pandemic the early portions last spring.
Or if you want live sports to kind of get

(01:40:41):
you going, college basketball is winding down, We're getting close
to tournament time. It's the dog days to a certain
degree in the NBA season. But if you want meaningful
games to watch, there are meaningful games going on in
college troops now. Even though I know the blue bloods
aren't playing or a lot of them won't qualify for
the tournament, there's still some quality ball being played out there, yo,
Psycho Chris, Alright, So for myself, I think I've given

(01:41:05):
some tips in the past, but I think to kind
of get you on the methodone off of football first.
Right now is a great time to jump into all
the draft coverage because we're getting the pro days. We're
not gonna have a combine this year. But you're gonna
have these pro days early on, and you're gonna have
just some trip drip drip drip drip of of draft coverage.

(01:41:30):
Get that in early, then take a break, find another
sport to watch for a little bit, and then in
about a month or two, then come back to the
draft stuff again. Kind of making a draft a draft sandwich.
The draft coverage is the post post tournament. You come
back to draft, post tournament, the first couple of weeks

(01:41:50):
of baseball, and you come back to draft. Yeah. Yeah,
for me, I I always like to cram in some
draft stuff early. Then I wander away. I watched kind
of the end of like European soccer uh seasons, and yeah,
I get a little baseball in and then by the
time it's the draft fever is in full pitch and
I'm ready to go again. All right. I like that.
It's good advice. Que Number two is this. It's convenience

(01:42:14):
store etiquette. Figgy, give me something that you're supposed to
buy at a convenience store and something you shouldn't. It's
violation caffeinated beverages, whether it's an energy drink or whether
it's a coffee totally fine to buy at a convenience
store if need be excellent choices some convenient stores. Some

(01:42:37):
argue they have the best coffee. To be honest. Something
that you never buy at a convenience store is sushi.
Who knows what the hell is in it? It's not
the good stuff. Do not buy it there, get yourself
some legitimate sushi. Be a man, don't do that. That's ridiculous.
So I have yet to be in a convenience store

(01:42:57):
where they have a sushi bar. We're to have that,
so it's not actual bar, but they have like in
the in the cold section, whether you find like the
premate sandwiches or or whatever, they'll have some sushi rolls
made up. Yes, wow, that's you know why I must
have missed it. I agree. But you're not missing much,

(01:43:19):
don't I do? I agree with you. Yes, the convenience
store is sushi. Probably no good. Uh, Psycho Chris, give
me something you should buy the convening store and something
you should not, Well, Figgy kind of took. I think
the caffeine answer for me, because like, you can get
every kind of energy drink you want there. But other
than that, there's there's two things for me that I

(01:43:40):
buy a dog, right that you can buy a dog?
Can a hot dog? Yes, very very very clear. At
the same time, I don't know what kind of convenience
stores they had in a feil you that's a new
one from me. I'll take that German shepherd exactly. Yeah,
I'll take the Yorkie on the side. Dagas are famous
for having hats, but I don't think you're supposed to

(01:44:01):
buy them there. Yeah, correct, So I get there's two
different categories of things I get when I go to
a convenience store. The first is a caffeine. The second
is always one of those prepackaged danishes, you know, if
you go to seven eleven you get like, yeah, I
just like some nice little pastry or something, just carrying

(01:44:22):
me through. Um. Thing not to get at a convenience store,
I'm sorry, it's wine of any kind, like yeah, yeah,
but even if you're getting like, you know, the cheap
oh wine, you could just go slep on down to
like a Kroger's or a roups or something get marginally

(01:44:43):
better wine for the same price. And like, yeah, I correct,
wine selection at any kind of especially if you're a billionaire. Yeah,
Like if you're a billionaire like Jerry, it's a stone violation.
Bottom over to NAPA. I'm not buying that photo. That

(01:45:04):
was doctor or that was a publicity Yeah, absolutely, I
mean we have seen weird things before. I know I
have a picture of Steve Spurrier going into like a
Burger King, which like a whopper. That's more believable that. Yeah,
we are you mean, I mean you gonna taste for
a whopper? You want to go to the the whopper? Makes

(01:45:24):
sense to me now here. I mean answer this because
to me, you should never buy a slice at a
convenience store. So that was gonna be my second choice there.
And I'm glad you said that. I was gonna say
the sushi, your pizza, very good, very I am. I've
never been more proud of you. An's I slice? Think

(01:45:46):
that you can come on? Yeah? Because I agree A
hot dog? Yeah, probably you can do that. I'm not
opposed to that. What do you guys? I This was
my second answer. I wasn't sure if I should go
with it. What do you think about getting wings at
a convenience store because they're like, oh, they're always boneless,
they're never bone in and they can I say this
now again, this is different than the convenience story, and

(01:46:09):
you're correct. However, the gas station chicken, the gas station
fried chicken. Oh fried chicken. Absolutely, I could see you
guys ever had it Like I was in Mississippi and
I've heard this as a Southern thing. Absolutely it is, yeah,
and I experienced it there. Yeah. Can I just tell you. Yeah.

(01:46:33):
I was like, like I didn't understand it, right, I go,
what's the chicken at the gas station? And they went, oh, no,
you gotta try try it all right, you know whatever.
So I got it. Oh my god, I was like,
this is the best chicken ever. Eight life changing. It
was unbelievable. It was I'm like, you know, I'm right

(01:46:55):
on the foul. I'm not a big fan, but I'm
on like it's I right whatever. But man, oh man.
I was in Mississippi. I was going to see Steve
McNair who was at Alcorn State, and I stopped and
uh and then somebody, so I stopped. I was like,
wait's for directors because before the ways app and then uh,

(01:47:18):
whatever happened. Then I go, you gotta go back into
so I want to get state. And I was like,
oh my god, this is outrageous, so but I agree
with you. Normally, the wing you can't go. You can't
do the wing at the regular community. I'm sorry. Can
I add one more thing to this? Since we're down now?
You got me on my memories of Southern gas stations.
I remember going to a Chevron one time in Savannah

(01:47:40):
where they had glass pipes behind the counter, ostensibly for
tobacco use. But I think most people who see a
short glass pipe no exactly, that you're not stuffing tobacco
in that. I feel like if you buy a glass
pipe at a Chevron, you were probably getting put on
some kind of watch list. Probably Yeah, if you buy

(01:48:04):
a Philly uh as well, never mind, let's do this.
Let us go to some trending figure and then we'll
give you the last two. Alright, well weet the Lakers
overcoming a twenty point deficit in the first quarter against Memphis.
They would come back to natch a ten point victory
as Anthony Davis paced at them with thirty five points.

(01:48:26):
Lebron James just missing a triple double twenty eight points,
nine rebounds, eight assists. Lakers have the second best record
in the league. They're a half game behind the Utah Jazz,
who dominated Milwaukee on fifteen. It wasn't really that close.
Donovan Mitchell had twenty six points, Rudy Gobert and Joe
Ingles also at seven. Elsewhere, Luca Donging a career high

(01:48:46):
forty six as Dallas beat the Pelicans. Four straight wins
there for the Mavericks despite a career high thirty six
points for a Zion Williamson Portland's with the win over
the Cavaliers. That's three straight for the Blazers. Denver beat
Oklahoma City Spurs, Clippers and Nix with wins as well.
Jaguar Strength and Conditioning coats Chris Doyle resigned a late
Friday night. He was fired from the University of Iowa

(01:49:08):
last year after being investigated for allegedly making racist remarks
and bullying players. Tennis at the Australian Open, second seat
to Rafaionadal won his third round matchup in straight sets.
Ditto for top seeded Ashley Bartio on the women's side,
she advances to the fourth round. What they went in
straight sets as well? And Jordan's speak what they one
stroke lead? At the PGA event a Pebble Beach back

(01:49:29):
to the Fellas. Ah, thank you, fig Yes, we are
the Fellas, linking Kennedy, Anthony Gargano and of course links
off so Figures inward middle of the Fantastic Four, as
we hang out here at the Fox Sports Radio Farmers

(01:49:51):
Insurance Studios, call one eight eight eight Farmers and you
could save a whole lot of something on on on shore.
All right, here we go, question number three of the four.
Give me a show or movie that has to be remade.

(01:50:15):
I like to Coach correct T Nelson, the show that
was around in the in the night Fantastic So it's weird.
I feel like they didn't actually play a lot of
football or show a lot of football, but as it
was based around the life of a coach and dealing
with his sister and his staff and their dynamics and
their relationships. And I remember as a kid, I always

(01:50:35):
enjoyed that show. So I like to see if they
can maybe modernize and redo Coach. I think that would
be pretty good. That's a great answer, Figgy coming off strong.
What you got, Psycho, Chris. I've got a movie to
TV adaptation idea, So to take an older movie and

(01:50:57):
to bring it like get Get the original movies concept
down but also expanded to a whole TV show. And
I'm not going too far. This movie is from and
it's a cult classic and I kind of love it.
It's one of my like, you know, you don't want
to really think too much, but you just want to

(01:51:18):
watch some just gnarly action scenes and and kind of
have fun about it. And it's it's Boondocks Saints. You
know what. Great, that's a great answer. I just I
like the Docs Saints. I know sometimes it gets a
banged because it's not you know, it's not fight club
or not, you know, fantastic. It's a great move. I

(01:51:39):
agree with you. Could you see that as like a
TV mini series kind of you can expand that out totally.
It's a great idea. I love it. I actually love it.
It's a brilliant idea. You guys have slayed the four
some of the greatest four playing I've ever seen. No

(01:52:00):
were four of the four really really seriously, I was
joking with the four playing, but you know, you guys
have been great. Um, why why is that? Why have
you guys both been especially good today? Well, you know,
the competition has been whittled down and it's one on one,
So we have to bring our a games. I'm gonna
kind of, like, you know, remove the chaff. Yes, here

(01:52:21):
you go, all right. The many faces of sport is
the fourth question. Here we go, and we're gonna alternate.
Figgy give me I hate the face, Joakim Noah, that's great,
that is great. He is a hate the face. Chris,

(01:52:44):
hate the face. I know I'm going hockey here, and
that's a bit of a foul. But Mike Babcock, former
Red Wings coach and Maple Leafs coach, just one of
those Just that's not the Yeah, I think it's great. No, no,
we we hockey is accepted and here we like hockey. Uh, yes,

(01:53:06):
that's a great one. I mean I would put Sydney
Crosby as they hate the face. I think most guys
who aren't like Ovechkin in hockey, I just hate their
all their faces, all right. Uh question number two of
the faces, Uh, Figgy give me good face, good face. Uh.
Alex Morrigan US women's soccer team. That's a great face. Yeah,

(01:53:30):
I'm down with that. Excellent work by you. Fake who
you got there, Chris, I don't know. I I like
good faces. Doc Rivers I just feel like pleasant guy. Yeah,
he's very without a down. Great, that's a great face. Yes,
I'm a huge doc guy. I a great it's not
a great answer, excellent, all right, Figgy give me evil

(01:53:57):
face Bill Belichick. Yes, yeah, man, evil face is definitely Belichick.
We got Chris Man. He took me rambling as got

(01:54:20):
evil face or I mean another Belichick disciple that maybe
is having success at the college level could be Oh yeah, yeah,
I'll go with Saban. I was I was scrambling around
thinking of Jones, but Saban fits it very well. Coach
k he's got a little evil face. Man, he looks

(01:54:42):
like he looks like a commands minions. Yes, yes, and
you know it's amazing he's gotten he's gotten worse. Yeah,
he's got coach. Well, he's not. He's he's like a
nasty I getting squint here and he's but he's also

(01:55:02):
turning into like a crotchety old man a little. His
comments to man, we never played because your team sucks
for the first time in twenty years. That's why you
don't want to play for coach. Coach. You know, some
guys become more affable, right as they get older, Right,
softens them off. I think Pop to a certain degree
has gotten a little softer these last couples. That's a great,

(01:55:23):
great answer. Pop is a lot softer. But coach k
in the opposite basketball like Mike Izzo, Why yeah, it's
those lightned up I think a little bit recently. Yeah,
but man, right, that coach k Man, he's he's a
nasty little fellow. Man my god, even uh what's his

(01:55:46):
name from Simpton Simpsons, Mr Burns? Yeah, and I don't
even watch that show. Oh my god. Finally we end
with dumb face. All right, dumb face, and all due
respect Eli Manning, but you know there is such a
thing dumb face. Uh you got Freddie Kitchens, former head

(01:56:11):
coach of the Cleveland Browns. Yes, that would be construed
as dumb face. Yes, yes, yes, who you got? Chris.
I have a little bit of recency bias here since
I just saw him on my TV all day and
you just mentioned quarterbacks. This might be he might be

(01:56:32):
the inheritor to the Eli dumb face. And that's Trevor Lawrence.
I saw him the day. All I could think about
is like, how weirdly angular his his his face looks
like that one of those heads on Easter stat Island. Yeah,
they're just so angular, and I feel like he is
he is the inheritor to Eli's Eli Manning's legacy of

(01:56:56):
dumb face in the NFL. I I see great things
for him on that front. So it's hysterical because that's
how dumb face was born. Kind of caller yesterday to
my local show and the guy goes, you know you
always told me about hate to face. You know that
that Trevor Lawrence has dumb face? I said what, and

(01:57:19):
I started cracking up laughing. He goes, yeah, yeah, I
love Trevor. He's like, yeah, yeah, but he's got dumb face.
Look at him. Hey, you know, and that's how it
was born. So Christian Nail, did you know it's got
dumb face? To Collingsworth, Well, he was like, he has
like that half like foulk smile on his face all

(01:57:40):
the time, and I think that rubs people the wrong
way too. Yeah, yes, I've heard that. Yeah, yeah, he's
got that beavi his face. You got shut up? All right,
all right, we're gonna take a quick t o come back.
And we had lots to get to, including my crusade

(01:58:01):
to remake the White Shadow, the m VP debate, Lebron
James versus Joel Embade, and of course we have the
whole NFC quarterback situation to get through. Where the Fellas
in for link of course Figgy and there's Chris, our producer.
That's right, it's the fellas right here on Fox Sports Radio.

(01:58:29):
Ah yeah, Fellas. Link is all fig in. I'm cause
we hang out with you guys from the Farmers Insurance
Fox Sports Radio studios called Farmers Today. Get a quote.

(01:58:52):
You know what's funny is that Nikki on the text
board Big ops to to both figuring Chris on the
floor and he Chris crushing the four questions expected it
from Figgy, but Chris coming up strong too. Hell of

(01:59:12):
a four what he said? That's interesting, Chris stepping up
under pressure when it's one on one. It was impressive.
I mean, both of you guys, we're uh, we're really
really good. That unfortunately a violation on Tasty Cake Tom,
one of our listeners, the purveyor of Tasty Gigs. Tom

(01:59:37):
says there's a convenience store by the name of Wah
Wah on the East coast. I've heard of it, all right,
So he said the wah wapasta alfredo with chicken and
broccoli is delicious, So I I know, I know whahwa

(02:00:03):
is like a a corner stone of Philadelphia life. So
I don't want to step on this too much, but
I feel like invoking wah wah when talking about convenience
stores is almost cheating because the quality of wah wah
is so far and away compared to like your bog
standard seven eleven that it's it's cheating. No, it's an
upscale convene store and that in that sense, however, you

(02:00:29):
know you can't never do the MAT's produced pasta with
chicken and broccoli Alfred posta good. Definitely to touch the
subject for you with the pasta, I get it. Yes,
The only time I've ever eaten pasta a rest stop
convenience store type of place was on the auto strata, uh,

(02:00:50):
driving from Rome to Milan, and there's a place called
the Auto Grill and they have an amazing it's loud
too grill of Italian and they actually have and it's
the only place I'm going, Huh, you have many bottles
of wine. I'm thinking, well, it's not really good. You're you're, you're,

(02:01:13):
you know we're we're on a highway. They're literally rest stops,
like having a you're driving on the rest stop right
the highway. You shouldn't have like wine, right, you wouldn't
think so. But if they're gonna in Italy, you're gonna
have a dish of pasta. It's sacrilegious to drink anything
but wine with it. So what's the name of the place.

(02:01:36):
Loud too grill, louto grill. Yes, And it's actually like
so like you get your you get your tires rotated,
and have some pasta while you wait, is what it is, like, dude,
It's it's actually it's like so you go to the
rest stop right and you and you go in there.
You know, they have a whole thing, the restrooms, everything else.

(02:01:56):
And then they have this little spa to eat where
we have a burger king or whatever, you know, McDonald's
and they have this auto grill that has like fresh
pizzas and pastas and sandwiches. It's like ridiculous, like in
score Mate's like unbelievable. Nice. I was like all right,
all right, well we'll come back and we need to

(02:02:17):
have the debate. We're the fellows, big our head welcome back, Welcome, welcome, Happy, happy,
happy Saturday morning, six am in the West, not m
in the East. Happy Saturday Valentine's Day, weekend, post football,
so we could love on our Valentines. Are Valentine without football?

(02:02:44):
You know? Does that work for you? Fix? Um? Yeah,
especially if you're if you're someone who has a significant
other that will love you to spend like you to
spend time with him on a Sunday afternoon. You don't
have football to distract you, so you can actually work
in some people's face for their anthony. Yeah, yeah, you
know what, I'll take you out to dinner or maybe

(02:03:05):
I'll cook you Dina. But you know I gotta watch
you know, I gotta watch Tom Brady play. Sorry, priorities, priorities,
that's right, Live from the Farmers Insurance Fox Sports Radio Studios.
Call one eight eight eight Farmers to switch and you
can save on your auto and shorts. What else you
gonna do with your phone for the next few minutes?

(02:03:26):
Look at picture of food your friends? Eight yet again,
call eight eight eight Farmers for a quote. We are farmers,
all right? There we go, alright, a couple of things
because I don't think you gotta get out of here
in about ten minutes. So I got a couple of

(02:03:47):
items for you. I've asked you all morning during our
commercial breaks to watch a show from the It's I guess.
It was started in nineteen seventy eighty and it lasted
for three or four seasons early eighties, called The White
Shadow for context, there's no three point line, so that

(02:04:10):
tells you how early it was. Correct Now the White
Shadows a basketball. He's called basketball coach. He used to
play for the Bulls. Fictitious name Ken Reeves and Ken
Reeves who uh was played by Ken Howard who actually
played ball at Amherst. Yeah, so you can tell, and yeah,

(02:04:32):
he's he's he can ball a little bit. He got
some skill you could see, like just by the way,
like you could tell him thirty seconds if a guy
played ball or not right, like just the way the
guy shoots. He told a great story that he was honored.
Two things happened. One, Dave the Buscher told him that

(02:04:54):
when I turned the show on and I watched you
shoot the basketball. I turned to my wife and said,
this guy kim Ball, he's authentic. So I prayer is
coming from an NBA athlete right, and then he said
he met speaking of the coach K before he was evil,

(02:05:20):
it is hey day, coach. K ran into Ken Ken
Howard and he goes, hey, coach, how are you? And
he called Ken Howard a coach and then he said listen,
I want to introduce you to somebody. And he called
Jim Calhoun over and he said, I want you to

(02:05:44):
meet coaching Yukon. He goes Jim Mrs Coach Reeves, which
was his character name in his show, and he was
like get Howards, like, hey, what's up? Man? You guys
are calling me coach? Your your coach k your coach Calhoun?
Are you kidding me? So you know it's pretty cool.

(02:06:05):
So I asked to watch it for a reason because
I want a crusade to remake the show. All right,
so you like it? I do? Now you now you
would watch an updated version of and listen, the first
show took place in watts so I don't want to

(02:06:27):
give East coach bias. But you know, I thought either
you moved it to Chicago or you moved to New
York or Philadelphia because l A already had its It's
White Shadow run. Time for the White Shadow to uh
to move elsewhere. Yes, all right, that doesn't bother me, Okay,

(02:06:50):
I know, listen, I don't want to you know, I
don't want to be provincial here now. You know, I
did it out of my own backyard first, you know,
selfish reasons, and we have a rich basketball tradition in
my town. We were were the hometown of Kobe Bryant
and Will Chamberlain, right, and lots of NBA people and

(02:07:11):
college people. So I kind of wanted to do it
in my hometown where you know you can do that.
I'm not opposed to it. Yeah, I mean Chicago, New
York would be fantastic. Sure, I don't want to be
a you know, Houston, Dallas. I mean, we can really
go in Atlanta, but there's a lot of great places
to go for who but you know, being held, I
lived there, so I figured I'll do that. So I enlisted.

(02:07:36):
Uh you know Chim Legler legs, yes, all right, So
he's my neighbor and he played ten years in the Association,
and you know, he had a very good career to
shooter and you know the whole thing. And in fact,
he's got a great picture of him and Mike side
by side when one day he was guarding Mike. Get

(02:07:57):
a guard Mike for a game, So I thought he
and he coaches a au. He in my around my way,
so I thought he would be a good coach. Mhmm.
You like him and he could act legs. I guess
I'd have to see him act. Um. I guess he

(02:08:18):
would fit the part, right or do you flip it
and go, I don't know, you go get Rashid to
come back, and Rashid is the coach interesting Rashie wild
So I'm sorry. I know if I say Rashid, I

(02:08:44):
forget something. If I get, if I can shed like
that could be an interesting casting call to Yeah, you know,
and she does a personnel. I think she is an
assistant coach right now with aspirations of being and a
head coach in real life. So I could see that.
I wouldn't mind. I don't know if he still is.

(02:09:04):
I do remember during a summer league he did belt
out ball don't lie from the coaches side at one,
So that's saying then, so I think she could be
outrage here's the here's why I think it's a home run.
So basically the show was about high school angst in

(02:09:28):
a rough neighborhood and Watts with a bunch of on
the privileged kids. Right, So, I mean that's the basics show.
Basketball is the drop is the backdrop. Now, I think
that works incredibly today, and you could have all kinds
of great plot lines, right and now they tackled all
of the things drugs, gambling, uh, I mean, you name it,

(02:09:52):
every kind of addiction though in the man, Autism, sexuality,
like everything that you would encounter as a high school student, right,
every every issue, every social issue, racism, you know, the
cultural differences. So they explored, you know, a Jewish kid

(02:10:16):
and a Mexican kid and an Italian kid along with
a predominantly African American team. And so I think that
could work incredibly today. Yeah, because I think literal has changed,
to be honest, on all of those fronts. The only
thing that's different is that it's been souped up by
the advent of social media, which is a whole other

(02:10:36):
aspect that you can add in a exactly a remake
of the show, right, the whole the whole social media
aspect of it, and the phones and you name it.
That's I mean, I I can't believe they have like
they remake everything right, like horrible, like what like all

(02:11:00):
kid his side, like they made a big deal about
remaking Saved by the Bell. Yeah, I still don't understand that.
I mean, you know, like the world needs another one
of that screech. I mean, of course that's WM saying,
you know seriously. So anyway, I propose we do and

(02:11:24):
you can have all the great cameos, right, Like how
great would that be? Have all the cameos coming out.
I got Jay right to come in. He's recruiting a guy, right,
and then you have the au guy, have the shady agent.
I mean, it's all kind of get the shoe guy,
shoot the sneaker guy coming in. I mean that this
thing could be home run. Definitely. This was a good idea.

(02:11:48):
You better jump on this, and I try to get
this with the studio or something quickly for somebody listening
tries to steal it. Listen, it's already on the way.
I've already written that, you know, three of the episodes.
I filed it with the Writer's Guild. So you're asked
out if you're trying to steal it, Figgy, what now,

(02:12:09):
let me ask you a question. I have you down
as a teacher. Okay, all right, you want to be
in on the on the show. Absolutely. I was gonna say,
can I be like an opposing coach from another high
school talking crap on the sideline? Could be a teacher's Well,
I give you a recurring role of a teacher, and
you're a hardass teacher, right, and you come in and

(02:12:33):
you're like, no, I'm not going to just pass. The
kid's sick of playing like you know, he's got to
ace my cli. He's got to pass my class the
right way. It's all about the education. Still gotta do
that homework, son. And she comes into your in your classroom,
He's going, you're fick. You know I need you to pass.

(02:12:55):
You know I need you to pass. Side ike, she
side needs to do his paper. How about that? You
got the part perfect. I passed my audition. Let's go.
It was brilliant. Hey, she's gotta do his favors. Got

(02:13:16):
to do his favor. That's what I'm talking about. Who
can we have Chris play? What do you think? What
do you what do you think Chris could play? Is Chris?
Chris could be the I think we were talking about.
I was gonna say, I gotta that's bad because I

(02:13:38):
we were I thought that, but I didn't want to
say it. I was gonna say the custodian that to Chris,
I wouldn't mind that. Well, now what do you kid? Like?
I like, you're a dude who's working is bad? Like
you had a drug problem, right, and now I just
want to like you a job at something? You got

(02:13:58):
you got a job. You're best at the school and
you know, and there's a there's a scandal about you
trying to sell drugs at school and the cops come in,
but you're really innocent. Like we could make this thing
like like you can see I'm writing it in my head.
You know what I mean. It could be. It could

(02:14:19):
be a good drama. It could Can you handle that role? Chris?
Do I get to wear a track suit at some point? No?
You have to wear a stodiant with Chris. Maybe Chris
off duty and then I go to the Adidas track
sit where the sweatsuit. That's that. They would like to

(02:14:39):
be the ubiquitous announcer every time there's a game scene.
I would like to be the announcer for the uh.
This show's equivalent of k K T. Y the radio
station on Saved by the Bell. Also, I have a
dialogue suggestion. When Kevin confronts Rashid about that player's academics,

(02:15:00):
Heaven can say grade, don't lie. That's brilliant. I'm want
to rewrite that right now. That's a good one. Oh,
this is brillat See how great this is coming together?
I love it. This is fantasy. Big Links could play
the principle. How was the link to either the principal

(02:15:20):
or the father of like a five star student or something.
I can get both above the principle. He's a superintendent
kind of comes down from up on high with a
mission from God to turn that school around. No, but
I like him as the principal though, because you know
your kids are getting mouthful off or something. And Link
walks around, walks the hallways looking at that, you know,
because Link could be an opposing figure. There was a

(02:15:42):
scene in episode one that I was I wasn't able
to finish. But the principle is talking to the to
the vice principal and coach in his office while smoking
the pipe. Lincoln you do just at break out wanted
his cigars. It's a perfect It's perfect. It's perfect. I
think you did a brilliant job today. Thank you appreciate it.

(02:16:02):
Great job, A lot of fun, is right. All right,
we'll come back. We'll let Fake go to his other job.
He's hustling today, and we'll come back and we're gonna
go through the NFC quarterback situation. We went through the
a f C earlier in the program. Today we're gonna
do the the NFC coming up. Oh, Chris, you're gonna

(02:16:24):
be on the clock. I know you know where the Fellas.
That's right, Fox Sports Radio. All right, welcome back. We
are the Fellas. Link is out. I'm cause, of course
we come to you from the Farmers Insurance Fox Sports

(02:16:50):
Radio Studios. Always fun and listen. You can call one
eight eight eight Farmers to switch and you can save
a buther on your car and shorts. Let's get to
the quarterback situation in the NFC. We spent a good
deal talking about the quarterbacks. It's it's an amazing time

(02:17:14):
in the NFL where you saw the big trade. Obviously,
goff uh goes to Detroit and Matthew staffords the big
prize going to Los Angeles come to the ramps. But
it's amazing between the Shawn Watson. There's been upheaval in
almost every quarterback spot the the build. The stable quarterback

(02:17:37):
spots are makeup less than half of the league. Never
have we seen the quarterback position be so tumultuous. So
let's begin in the NFC East. Carson Wentz is on
the block. I still can't you over the fact that

(02:18:01):
Carson Wentz is about to be traded. Three years removed
from leading the Eagles to the number one seed that
ultimately wound up a Super Bowl. Wentz was got, he
got hurt in a big game against the Rams. He
engineered uh an incredible season that got the Eagles the

(02:18:22):
one seed. You guys know the story. Nick Foles comes
in and miraculous to back up comes in and after
a little bit of a sluggish start, he's able to
have a good game against Minnesota in the NFC Championship Game,
and then he outdules the Goat. He outdueles Tom Brady
in that historic forty one the thirty three Super Bowl. Right, So,

(02:18:46):
the events that follow Wentz thereafter, it's unbelievable. It's sometime
you gotta do a documentary on really what life was
like for whence the moment he gets hurt and how
his whole career changed. It's an amazing story. I mean

(02:19:08):
it's and it's pretty sad in a lot of ways.
So Falls Winds becomes the toast of the town and
more importantly, the toast of the locker room. And then
the year, the second year, after the Super Bowl, Wentz
comes back after missing the first two games of the season.

(02:19:29):
He uh, he tore his a c L. So he
makes his way all the way back and he kind
of rushed to get back. There was some thought that
he wouldn't come back until really the first four to
six weeks, but he comes back after week two and
he's really not the same player. Turns out later that
he actually breaks a bone in his back, and it's

(02:19:50):
another law season. Falls comes in again, rescues the Eagles
and actually gets him on a run. And so the
out split the town is, hey, should we keep Falls
and trade Wentz? Which is amazing, right, I can just
think that. So of course Falls leaves signs a big

(02:20:13):
deal in Jacksonville, and it's went his team, and he
struggles and there's you know, there's a bit of the
whole struggle, but you know what he has four amazing
games at the end of the season, and they went
a bad division. The NFC's was real bad. They win

(02:20:36):
the division, they had the home playoff game against Seattle.
He takes a big hit, cheap shot right, Jadeveon Clowney
just crushes him into the turf out right, first quarter,
out of the game. And then last year was a
complete mess. And now they fired Doug pete jan who

(02:21:00):
would won the Super Bowl, and they bring in Nick
Sirianni and they're going to wind up trading Wentz because
Jalen Hurts was drafted in the second round, and that
further widen the rift between Wentz and the locker room. Chris,

(02:21:23):
it is almost a Greek tragedy when you think about
the story of Wentz and now he wants out and
there's talk of Indianapolis and Chicago. Yeah, it's weird because
we're gonna have to pick through almost three years of
rumors back and forth about what kind of a person

(02:21:44):
Wentz isn't that locker room too? And I feel like
maybe depending on where he goes, we'll get some more
clarity on that. But I think for some of these
guys to just change in scenery does make a lot
of difference. And yeah, I don't know like how Wentz
fell out so quickly. We do see guys get figured out.

(02:22:04):
I don't know if Wentz was ever fully figured out
or if it was just injuries plaguing him. It was
always just a great, you know, question of what he has.
And I guess for Philadelphia they just didn't want to
keep waiting for one reason or another, and when's out
the door. I I just the one question I have
for Philadelphia is what what What's what's the price you're

(02:22:26):
going to be happy with for Carson Wentz? And honestly,
I don't know who's going to give them the price
they're offering, except maybe Chicago. And if Chicago does give them,
you know, a a hall for Carson Wentz, you then
have to wonder if Ryan Pace and Matt n Aggie,

(02:22:46):
who are already on the hot seat, are kind of
selling their team's future just to get a quarterback in
place that isn't but you know, you got to get
a quarterback, Yeah you do. But I mean, I I
guess I'm I'm always hesitant about that because I remember
seeing with the Detroit Pistons when stan Van Gundy was

(02:23:06):
the coach, and you know, his his job was on
the line. What did he do? Traded the Pistons future
for the next three years or so to go get
Blake Griffin. And that experiment completely fell apart and it
put the Pistons in the hole for a long time.
So as a fan, like as as an executive, you understand,
what is you gotta win for the now? You've got
to try to make those deep balls. But as a

(02:23:27):
fan sometimes you're already. If you're a Chicago guy and
you think your future isn't Ryan Pace and it isn't
Matt Naggie, and you see them wheeling these deals, you're
kind of you're kind of like, oh man, this is
gonna if this doesn't work out, this is really gonna
hurt us for years to come. Oh yeah, oh yeah, no,
it's it's and Wentz just look at the tape. Went

(02:23:50):
is a risk. Now. I talked to somebody else in
the league who who may or may not need a quarterback,
and they looked at Wentz. They went listen, you know,
I take a flyer on him. But the asking prices outrageous,
especially how bad the tape look The tape looked awful.
And I think you know, you mentioned Stafford earlier. I

(02:24:12):
really do think the Rams and the Lions set this
price in the market for quarterbacks, and every other team
saw what the what the Rams gave up for Stafford
to future first round draft picks and their quarterback and
a third rounder, and that's where it's set the market.
And I think some of these teams are going to
start asking for similar prices. Maybe not to future first rounders,

(02:24:36):
but they definitely think. You know, if you're trading for Wentz,
you you think he's you know, if you're the Eagles,
you think you're gonna get a first rounder for him.
And I just don't know if anyone's willing to give that. Well,
there was one report that had they had there's offering
a number one Tarikko and and Nick Foles. Yeah, and
I think it was like a later round draft pick

(02:24:57):
in there too, But yeah, so that was one. There's
also report that Indianapolis was offering two twos. So you know,
we'll see. But the Eagles are not the the went situations.
That's not the only upheaval when it comes to quarterbacks.
And by the way, it's no lock to Jalen Hurts

(02:25:19):
is the franchise quarterback. He had a couple of good games,
but I don't think anyone sees him as like the
future just yet. I know. But it's amazing because throughout
the NFC there are quarterback issues. In the the NFC
East alone, all but one, there's quarterback drama all but

(02:25:42):
one of the teams. And we'll talk about it. And
even that team that doesn't have the quarterback drama may
not have the answer. But first here he is. Let
us go to the lord of trendings, the one, the
only I why thank you? Anthony will start In the NFL,

(02:26:04):
where late Friday night, Jacksonville Jaguars director of sports performance
Chris Doyle resigned one day after being hired. Doyle was
previously accused of making racist remarks and bullying players when
he was the strength coach to the college level at Iowa.
Head coach Urban Meyer and general manager Trent Bulky saying
at a statement quote in retrospect, we should have given

(02:26:25):
greater consideration to how his appointment may have effected all
involved unquote. In the NBA Friday night, the world champion
Lakers overcame a twenty point deficit to beat the Memphis
Grizzlies one fifteen to one oh five and approved to
twenty one and six on a seven game winning streak.
Anthony Davis scored thirty five Lebron James twenty eight points,
nine rebounds, eight assists break up the Utah Jazz they

(02:26:47):
won seven eighteen Yeah now twenty one and five overall
six game winning streak as they beat Milwaukee one to
one fifteen despite twenty seven points in the second half
from Janice Antea Coumpo, Rudy Gobert score twenty seven and
twelve rebounds, Joe Ingles tying a career high with twenty
seven points. Maverick's got a career high forty six and
a one from Luca don Chein over the New Orleans Pelicans,

(02:27:11):
who themselves got a career high thirty six points from
Zion Williamson. Denver rally from a nineteen point first half
deficit to beat Oklahoma City Nicola Yokis twenty two points,
thirteen rebounds and nine assists. Finally, Anthony, we have a
potential violation for you to consider. This is a developing

(02:27:33):
scandal in the Fox Sports Radio anchor studio. I arrived
this morning. Happened to glance in the wastebasket, and about
halfway down there is an empty bottle of perry A
Sparkling Water in the Fox Sports Radio anchor studio. Trash
can Is that a violation for a Fox Sports radio

(02:27:55):
anchor to be drinking perry A sparkling water. Well, I'll
tell you he came to the wrong person because I
am addicted to uh ah, well, that's what the real stuff.

(02:28:15):
That's why I was asking you, is it a violation
or not? I didn't know, so I guess it's not
a violation. Not my world. Now, I don't know you
there's something you're trying to say. No, I'm saying you're
the guru of whether things are violations or not. And
it was halfway down, so I don't know if it
was Kevin or who. Speaking of convenience stores, since we
were talking last hour, you can absolutely get perry a

(02:28:37):
at A at convenience stores these days. Yeah, since you're
the expert on violations, I would just it's not something
I would expect to find in the waste basket at
a sports radio network, I'll put it that way. So
I just wanted to go to the drink carbonated water
That's why I was asking you so making I think

(02:28:57):
you're making a judgment here. I'm not making it judgment.
I was asking you to make a judgment. I think
you followed on the question the guy. I mean, if
it was you who I mean that, I wouldn't have
a problem with that. But you have a problem with
carbonated water. Iavor I I'll have to sit through it.
Chet back to you. There. He is the one, the

(02:29:21):
only I lo. We love our I lo. He is uh.
He's hysterical, by the way. We are the fellas. And
we come to the alive from the Farmers Insurance Fox
Sports Radio Studios called one eight eight eight Farmers and
you can save a whole lot of something on auto insurance.

(02:29:42):
So the rest of the NFC is again fascinating. Let's
go to Dallas where Dak Prescott was omitted from the
hype video. It was the Cowboys, and Dak followed the
Washington football team and like them, of course, we send

(02:30:04):
the messages that way. What does that mean, Chris, that
would be dangerous to toy with losing Prescott. You cannot
lose Dak if you're the Cowboys. I mean, I don't
make much of the social media banter there, just because

(02:30:24):
I've seen this before and it usually amounts to much.
But I think the Cowboys are kind of saying to
that maybe they don't need them, and maybe they think
that they can do something in the draft. But I mean, yeah,
if you are, if you are Dallas, like I don't know,
it's felt like a foregone conclusion that they are going
to sign Dak Prescott, and yet I thought and yet

(02:30:47):
on the other hand, they picked tenth and you could
see them maybe giving up picks to move up in
the draft. But I mean, your your immediate situation is
and people don't realize it's about the draft sometimes and
how far away it is. When so when free agency
starts and you if you're going to sign a guy
like Dak, that has to be done before March. So

(02:31:08):
what are you doing in the interim between now free
agency and the draft? And yeah, you've got a guy
sitting there like that, and I know you were concerned
about his injury in the past, and I just I
I just don't see how this is gonna end anywhere
other than maybe them slapping Dac with a franchise tag,

(02:31:30):
waiting it out and trying to move up in the
draft for them, but I just don't see them committing
he he just doesn't seem to want to commit to
Dak in a long term. And you know, it's it's nice,
Jerry says all these nice things about Dak Prescott, but
at some point you gotta put down at some point
on this, So I yeah, I just I don't think. Yeah,

(02:31:51):
I think I think. You know, if I was putting
odds on this, i'd probably put the favorite that they
are going to sign into a deal. But the problem
is it's just not going to be the I don't
see it. They probably don't want to give him the
kind of years that Doc wants on a deal, and
that's gonna come doubly after you know, his season that
got cut short by injury. I think he's a great quarterback.
He just needs a chance to play out a full season. Yeah,

(02:32:15):
you know, it's gonna be interesting. So then when as
you keep motoring through the NFC, mean, Washington obviously they
signed heine to keep, but see the answer. I mean,
who knows. He played in one playoff game and he
went all right, well it was a good game, But
is he really the answer? So you have to figure
out what Washington is going to do. Then as we move,

(02:32:35):
think about it. You're a camp as Brady, so you
get to go. But New Orleans upheaval. Yeah, they'll probably
have Winston for a year. If if Winston decides to
stay with New Orleans, yep, so you've got upheaval there.
If you're in Atlanta, don't you try to move Matt Ryan.
I mean, the contract is I don't think you can

(02:32:58):
move him with the contracts. Well, he's going to have
to do a he's going to have to defer and
and massage the deal well to get out of there.
I think what Atlanta will do is, like they don't
really need to move the contract too much just because
they're gonna be picking fourth. If they want to take
a quarterback, they can go get them and they can
have Matt Ryan. You know, you've been a veteran, you've

(02:33:20):
been a face of this organization. You know this is
your chance to mentor play out one more season for
a Yeah, he's not gonna want to mentor though. I mean,
he's gotta know he's on his way out too. He
most certainly is on his way out. But there are
teams like if I'm Indianapolis, and I don't go get Wentz,

(02:33:40):
I go get Ryan now again, I gotta be able
to fit him in a cap spot. Yeah, and that's
a I mean, his cap hit is something. That's why.
But again, that's why he can, That's why he's gotta.
You gotta work on the contract, right and that contract
it isn't out after this year, after one, so if
the if you try to sign the extension, if the

(02:34:02):
Colts do get him, you're basically getting him on a rental.
So I don't know how much you could really do
that with that salary attached to Well. Yeah, again, what
you do is you sign the extension and you rework
the deal. So you gotta rework his deal to make
it more cap friendly. And you've got a guy who
at least he's a company quarterback that you know, you
can peace, feel, you feel like you can win. I mean,

(02:34:24):
you know, it's like having Philip Rivers all over again.
I mean that's basically what you got and Ryan. Yeah,
there is something to be said though, again of having
this veteran presence and for a guy like Matt Ryan,
who has been probably the best player for the Falcons
of this century so far, to, you know, play out
this year with Atlanta while you have drafted a quarterback

(02:34:46):
sits behind him. I don't know that that's not reasonable today,
Like that's not reasonable. I think you have a quarterback asset.
You got to try to move the quarterback asset. You
got teams look at Caroline, and Caroline would like to
upgrade right in that division. Oh yeah, they trying to
go after Stafford. They were close to Stafford. They were
getting medicals on Matthew Stafford before the Rams sweeten the pot,

(02:35:09):
close to getting They want to upgrade from Teddy bridget Water.
They want a quarterback for the future. Yes, And I
will tell you that they thought the deal was done
for the eighth pick. Yeah, that was that was the
deal until the Rams swooped in. Can I I not
to muck it up with too much Lions, but I

(02:35:30):
do feel like that's a sign because we're gonna get
to the Lions at some point here. I think they're
just gonna stick with Jared Goff this year. And I
don't think they're going to draft a quarterback because if
they were, if they were in love with a quarterback
this year, they would have taken the Carolina offer to
get the eighth and the seventh, get those together to
move up to you know, so they don't get preempted

(02:35:51):
by you know, an Atlanta or even a Philadelphia or
whoever might be at the top of the draft. Instead,
they've kind of show you their hand by saying, we
want these picks for later, for later draft classes. And
I think that's because they just know there's no one
in this draft class this year outside of Trevor Lawrence

(02:36:11):
that is a lock as a quarterback. Well that's true,
that's well, that's without a doubt true. But that and
that brings up again, there's upheaval everywhere, right, so you
have you just go we talk about the Bears and
what the Bears are going to try to do. I mean,
you know, Ryan, it's a possibility for Chicago. You know,

(02:36:31):
they're talking about trying to trade him, trade for him,
trade for Wentz. They're dying to obviously have a quarterback.
So you've got people here. You mentioned the Lions in
that division, green Bay's green Bay and Minnesota stills causes.
But there's some talk that who knows that maybe Minnesota
would get involved. Yeah, I think every team has to

(02:36:53):
do their due diligence. At this point, every team out
there is hungry. Every team is either buying or selling
at her back. So just put out some floaters and
see what you can get. Yeah, it's wild, man, it
really is. We'll tackle uh the NFC West and we'll
get you started for today. It's a big college day,

(02:37:14):
good college basketball games, uh for today. So if your
jones and for some sports, we got some college who
you're away, keep it right here. It's the Fellas right
here on Fox Sports Radio. Ah, welcome Mack live from

(02:37:34):
the Farmers Insurance Fox Sports Radio Studios. Fellas, a lot
of fun, thanks for Hanginglake was off today, relaxing, well deserved.
I'm Anthony Gardano, fancs to Chris and and Figgy. Guys
did got a lot of fun hanging out. So we've

(02:37:55):
been talking all morning about the each team's quarterback spot
and we went whoeveryone except the NFC West and of
course the Rams we know about that. I think that
Stafford thing was a great move for them and that
makes them an instinct I think super Bowl contender the team.
And there's two teams an interestant because I I Arizona

(02:38:16):
set with Kyler, Mary and I'm a big Merry fan.
I I like him a lot. I think he's got
a really good arm. I just think he needs to
he's more consistency. The size thing will always be an
issue because you know he is diminutive. But the kid's
got a great arm. He's got a lot of move
and he's got to be able to move because he's

(02:38:38):
got himmy and I think he's a better thrower than
say Lamar, for I've got a more mobile quarterback. But
in speaking of mobile quarterbacks in Seattle, there's issues with Russ.
And I don't understand the Russ situation. I'm a cue now.
Let me just say I love Russell Wilson, huge fan

(02:38:58):
of Russ, and he's not the first guy to go yeah,
I'll like to have a little say in personnel, you know.
I mean, he's no difference between him and Rogers. But
there's something weird and on easy in Seattle regarding Russ,
and to me, he plays Superman every week. I know
I didn't have the best year last year, but he

(02:39:20):
was on their jail break. If you watch the Seahawks,
I mean that line was flimsy and he was running
for his life, particularly the second half of the season. Chris, Yeah,
this is I mean, we talked about Green Bay earlier.
This is about the same tale here. It's teams don't
get a lot of help for the quarterback. Things get

(02:39:42):
frustrated the quarterback. It's frustrated. Teams then get frustrated at
the quarterback being frustrated. And it just feels like Seattle
is in the cycle of I mean we we kind
of had these rumors for several years now, ever since
their Super Bowl lost to the Patriots, of kind of
the unhap happiness and dysfunction in Seattle, But it was

(02:40:03):
never as in your face there. There's something different when
it's your own quarterback going on the Dan Patrick Show.
Now it's in your face. Now it's out in the open,
and now everyone can kind of see. It's like, whoa, whoa,
this is this is happening right now. Everyone's unhappy and
your big man is unhappy. And I mean, I don't know.

(02:40:24):
I think I think they'll be able to settle things out,
but I mean this has been the problem with those Seahawks.
They've just been losing pieces over the years. Now when
it's reaching a breaking point, Yeah, all the atrophy, the
truth uh, and of course you got San Francisco and
what do you do there with Jimmy g D You
try to upgrade. Look, it was a mess there, right,

(02:40:48):
but that's a good team. They got the set by injuries.
They will be back next year. I mean that's a
place that you know you might be able to go
with Matt Ryan and you know he could help out there.
But they need they need to upgrade. I think Jimmy
g Yeah, they they've got to get some sort of
package working. And I think for San Francisco, like the
longer they play musical, the longer they wait on these

(02:41:10):
musical chairs with quarterbacks, the worst off they're going to be.
So you'd think hopefully if if you're a San Francisco fan,
they make a move soon. I mean we talked about
Donald They're earlier in the show as a possibility. Last
thing to put the bow on the football season nineties,
six point four million people watch the Super Bowl, which
is the lowest number since two thousand and six. The

(02:41:33):
most watched super Bowl was Patriot Seahawks at one fourteen
point four. So you're talking about eighteen million fewer people,
And I go, what what? What else you got to watch. Yeah,
I know we're we're up against it, but I feel

(02:41:54):
like COVID really messed with some sports watching habits. And
once you get out of a rid them of sports being,
you're you're all being Some people just haven't rebooted yet,
and I don't talk about it, but we're gonna talk
about a plenty. Yeah, without a doubt. All Right, everybody listen,
have a great week. Please be careful, watch yourself, watch

(02:42:16):
your families. Always keep it right here. Factuless in Fox
