Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. What a day. We'll
tell you all about it in just a minute. He's
my guy, my partner, the men of the hour, the
one and only Brian no Many fermit together we call
this Fox Football Sunday on Fox Sports Radio. And now
it's my indeed pleasure to introduce my partner, the brains

(00:21):
to the outfit, the one the only Mr Brian no
b What a day it was yesterday in college football.
It was yeah, good to be with you here. Good
morning to you, buddy. But yeah, craziness, craziness in college
football in a tasty slate of Week five NFL actions.
So all set for the whole conversation. Here for the

(00:44):
next rome. My good I tell you it's it's funny.
This maybe one of the better college football seasons of
all time. Why because it's such a hodgepot, such a mess.
Because Texas A and n turned the season upside down
yesterday by coming from behind to beat I can't even
say it. Number one Alabama. It was amazing, and and

(01:05):
all the games it came out to the y would
field goals or whatever it might be. But what does
this do now? Be to the to the college football
playoffs because Alabama is gonna be knocked out. They may
not even be in the top four right now at
that lost one on rankeding. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Find the brakes.
All right, you're you're flooring it right now, You've got
the accelerator to the floor. Let's let's find that like

(01:29):
break in the middle right there. Because it doesn't matter
where Bama drops to right now. They're very well could
still be in the top four. We'll see where where
they are. But even if they're on the outskirts, let's
say they dropped to like five or six or something
like that. Um, like, it all matters where they are
at the end. What this does is it gives them

(01:50):
no margin for error. And like later on in the
season they faced Arkansas, they're at Auburn. I think that
they're gonna run the table from here on out and
be in the SEC championship game. But man, Georgia has
been tough all year, So one more loss from Bama
and they're out. They're out of the playoff. So that's

(02:12):
what it does. It gives them no margin for error
from here on out. I think it's wonderful, I really do,
and I think that obviously George is gonna rolling to
the number one this week they rolled over Ober. I
always look like they're gonna be a number two, even
though they've beat up a banged up Penn State team
that goes, hey, let's Sean Clifford. But I don't. I
don't think that's gonna be considerated because I think the
defense that Iowa play this today. I know it was

(02:33):
like at the end of the half and then when
Clifford went down and I opened it up, it's still
in ail. I still believe Iowa moves into number two
this week. Isn't that crazy? Think about that the top
three teams. Georgia for sure will be number one, and
I agree it's probably going to be Iowa and then
Cincinnati number three. What you're looking at, I think Oklahoma

(02:55):
jumps over Cincinnati just just not a rep I mean,
as a way people vote just at a repute, should
schedule conference wherever it may be. And it's a much
more impressive win, right, beating Texas compared to blowing the
doors off of Temple. So yeah, they've Cincinnati leap frog
Oklahoma the last pole. So it might be in reverse

(03:15):
this time. You might be right but yeah, however it
shakes out, it might be. Let's say this, it's one
of two things. Most likely it's either Georgia Iowa Cincinnati
one to three or Georgia Iowa Oklahoma one two three
followed by Cincinnati. But man, that is a top four
that not a whole lot of people had at this

(03:35):
stage of the college football man. And I think that's great.
I think it's great for college football, great for the
fans on that thing. I don't think it's that great
for the for the wager is. I think the betting
people who are probably going bananasy say, I don't know
what the line was. Game Bama was favored by eighteen. Yeah,
that is a money line upset special Deluxe right there

(03:57):
with A and M taking it to Bam. Mind. What
a game, by the way, because it looked like, okay, Alabama,
they came all the way back, they're up by a
touchdown one, they figured it out, they're gonna survive, and
then A and M just came back, came back and
found a way to win the game. The greatest part
of that game when Alabama blocked the punt winning for
a touchdown and they waited a long time to call

(04:19):
that touchdown, and right after that touchdown, Alabama kicks off
bingo nine yard turned for a touchdown. That opened the
floodgates right there. And if people don't believe you and
I about the fact that Alabama did, in fact lose,
it was Seth Small hitting a twenty eight yard field
goal as the gun went off. If you don't believe me,
listen to Andrew Monica from Lea Field takenn Listen yard
attempt by Seth Small is down, it is up, and

(04:43):
the fighting Texas had is take down the top bright
tide to eight. Remember what comes down? And the celebration
is on the Kyle field. They're still celebrating a color
station right now. I'm sure you gotta raise my hand.
The fighting A and m Aggie's really at three and two,

(05:06):
that's the call right there. They just beat number one
Alabama thumbs double thumbs down on that call. I'm going,
like the New York Mets to the fans on that call.
You you gotta do better than that. The fighting A
and m Aggie's what is that? By the way, that
was a shaky kick. It doesn't matter. They won the game,
right it went through the uprights. But I thought it
was going hard left when he let that thing go,

(05:28):
and somehow it knuckled in. So hey, props to seth small.
Just get it through the uprights. Doesn't have to be
Picasso over here. It's just get it through there somehow,
some way, and he did. Yeah, and I think that
you talk about Cincinnati maybe being a three or four
this week, they gotta break in today because you know,
Your Dame fighting Irish squeaked five yesterday night. They gotta
keep you know, there's a lot of things have to happen.

(05:50):
You know, the stars have to realign here to fall
in place with Cincinnati to get into that final four,
and one of them is not Your Dame has to
win out and they won yesterday. Yeah, you're right, that
is a big deal for the Bearcats. You want Notre
Dame to just run the table. So your victory over
them is as impressive as it can be. And let's
be honest, that's the only thing impressive about Cincinnati's resume.

(06:13):
He was beating Notre Dame. So yeah, they need the
Irish totally have one loss and that's to them. And
uh man, that was crazy with Jack Cone, Like not
the fleet is the foot over there Jack Cohen on
the two point conversion. Notre Dame was trailing with about
roughly two and a half minutes to go. Needed the
two point conversion desperately and he bought time. Was just

(06:35):
scrambling around and I'm like, oh gosh, this isn't where
Notre Dame wants to be. Somehow he found a receiver.
They tied it up, eventually won the game. So nice
win by the Irish, but even nicer for Cincinnati because
they have a much better shot to make the playoffs.
I was thinking about yesterday. Remember several weeks ago we
were talking about the Oklahoma Sooners and the fans of
booing Spencer Ratler that the quarterback. Well obviously past yesterday,

(06:58):
but they came back from twenty one down beating Texas
in that Red River rivalry game they have, which is
an unbelievable again, like something like six plus total yards
in that game where it was unbelievable. It was typical
Big twelve, like no defense, all offense, which is great.
But you gotta feel for Spencer Rattler a little bit
and believe he's getting some heat going back to Norman, Oklahoma. Well, hey,

(07:22):
Lincoln Riley. He's like, if you're struggling and I've got
Caleb Williams here, guess what Caleb Williams is going in
the game. He played really, really well once he took
over for Spencer Rattler. But you talk about a fall
from grace. Good lord, I'm not rooting against the guy.
I'm just calling it like I see it. You had
Spencer Rattler. He was the odds on favorite to win

(07:44):
the Heisman Trophy. Andy he won it in July. Yeah, right,
it's the problem. There's a whole season to go, and
and he was talked about is maybe the number one
overall pick in the NFL draft when it rolls around
next year. And now after getting benched for a second
straight year against Texas and the biggest rivalry game that

(08:05):
Oklahoma has, It's like, the way Caleb Williams looked now,
I don't know how many more reps, how much more
action Spencer Rattlers going to get in games. So this
throws everything out of whack. He might have to transfer.
Think about where he is as an NFL prospect right now,
where he would get drafted. Things are completely different now
than they were before the season started, and I think

(08:27):
that we talk about the college football landscape thing kind
of up in the air. I think so was the
Heisman Trophy so to speak. Yeah, well, yeah, Bryce Young
has had a very good season. But you know how
it goes andy. It's typically the best player on the
best team. And with Bama losing a game last night,
it opens the door. We know that Bama, you know,
smacked around Old Miss pretty good, but Matt Corrall has

(08:51):
put up huge numbers. And what a shootout it was
yesterday against Arkansas, fifty two to fifty one in Arkansas
scores a touchdown the final player regulation they go for
the time they went, they went to the win. Yeah,
how do you feel about that? You know what? I
like that? I like that rib a boat gamble of
the attitude. I really do like golf of broke, get
it done. I mean, what does it tie do? That

(09:12):
doesn't mean a thing? You know, well, I mean you
would you go to overtime, right, But it's case by
a case for me because there are a couple of
times it happened the last couple of weeks where NC
State when they upset Clemson, same scenario, they scored a
touchdown at the end of regulation, kicked it, went to overtime.
Eventually one same thing with Stanford over Oregon. Stanford scored

(09:34):
at the end of regulation. They didn't go for two,
they didn't gamble, they kicked it, and they eventually won
in overtime. But I look at yesterday Andy, it's fifty
two to fifty one. Right, both teams have combined for
almost thirteen hundred yards of offense. If there's ever a
time to say, hey, I think our better chance to
win is with our offense instead of going to overtime,

(09:57):
I can totally understand it in the game yesterday, But
the problem is that you have to execute. You have
no margin for error. Obviously, if you don't convert the
two point conversion, it's over, and you have more margin
for error if you do kick it and go to overtime.
But I can understand Sam Pittman saying, you know what,
they can't stop our offense. Let's just try to convert

(10:18):
this too and get on out of here with the win.
It just didn't work out for them. You're exactly right,
you know. And we have to show a little love
for Jim Harbaugh, really, I mean, he was getting so
much he deservedly so over the last several years, couldn't
be the Ohio State. You know, Michigan was not where
it was before. There's six and oh now beating a
band Nebraska team and they squeak by him. I know
they won by three yesterday thirty twenty nine. But Michigan

(10:39):
right now is undefeated the six and Michigan State is undefeated,
so you know, right there, he's come back. I know
they didn't play a lot of strength early on, but
they're in that conference which is tough. And I give
Jim Jim Harball a lot of credit. Then I know
we've got that pay cut or whatever they did, he
rearrange his contract, but you know he really quieted the
people up there and in uh in Michigan that he

(11:02):
really did. I think, well, hey, so far, so far,
so good for Michigan. And you know the drill andy
subject to change, subject to change because if Michigan loses
a game, if that happens, then man it shifts completely sideways,
right um, because they haven't they haven't faced a ranked

(11:23):
team yet. Michigan still goes to Michigan State, they have
to go to Penn State. They still have Ohio State
at home at the end of their season. So I
think it's obviously it's a good start. So far, so good,
but there's a lot of work to do. When you
squeak by Rutgers a couple of weeks ago twenty to thirteen,
it's like, how for real is Michigan. But it's one

(11:45):
of these deals, Andy, where there are a lot of
undefeated teams in college football right now, where there at
least you know, like peeking their head around the corner,
should other teams ahead of them lose. As long as
you just keep handling your own business, you're gonna be
there of the playoff when it's all said and done. No,
you're exactly right. I think this is one of the
as I said coming in, and this is one of
the better college football seasons we've had in a long time.

(12:08):
Why because we don't know who's dominating in it. And
that's the key. I mean, what made you made this comparison?
Weeks ago, I've been comparing the final four in the
nt Double a basketball tournament in college as opposed to football.
In basketball, you have the cinderellas, you have teams that
you never heard of, loyal over Chicago, where they come from, right,
But in the football deal, it's always the same face

(12:28):
as every year, and it's gonna change this year. Yeah,
I like that at least. Yeah, Yeah, there's a We
know Clemson is out, We do know that much. So
you still could have Alabama, you could have Georgia. George
is a bit of a new face in terms of
the like the five or so teams, the six teams
that seemed to kind of rotate over the last few

(12:50):
years in the playoff. So we do get a new
face for sure with Clemson being out. Maybe we get
an extra face if Bama slips up again. How easy
would that be a final of Georgia lose. Perhaps, Yeah,
but I still count them as more of a new face.
They they have made the playoff. I have to go
back and look. But uh, I don't think they've been

(13:12):
to the playoff yet. Have we had that in the
history of the college football. But I'm gonna say something
right now, the people. I never thought i'd say this
in my life. That Kentucky plays Georgia next week. That's
a big game for Kentucky. They beat up on LSU
yesterday and they're undefeated. How about them? Right? Be Florida
and LSU back to back weeks. That's nice man George's
defense and that's on another level right now. But I

(13:35):
am looking to that that game and how many people
had that undefeated Georgia versus undefeated Kentucky going down next week.
So yeah, it's been a lot of fun. I do
like the unknown because there's been way too much that's
been too predictable in college football. So the unpredictable is
a breath of fresh air. An Ohio State may still
be there with that one lost. They may they may

(13:57):
be there. We'll see, Yeah, maybe made, but they'll have
another team from Ohio that maybe Cincinnati, So who knows.
I know, believe me, they are going bananas and they're
going bonkers here at Cincinnati because on the heels of
the Notre Dame win, you know, Friday night, they played
again and they just they just really just beat the
living daylights at the temp. Temple's terrible. They really are.

(14:18):
You and I can play for Temple, There's no doubt
in my mind. There. You get on the center and
I could do whatever you want me to do there.
Really just don't be the center. No, no, no, I'm
not doing that now. Well, we'll put you at We'll
put you at outside linebacker. Andy, let's get you on
the other side. One on there for you baby. There
he's Brian No get him on Twitter at the No Show.
I'm Andy Ferman. You get me at Andy Ferman FSR.

(14:39):
And we got a rocking and rolling show today. We
got a lot of the second to None. We got
Bronx Talk ready with the amazing Chris p in this hour,
Bond and Barrel betting an hour number two and Brian
No one knows picks and our number three. So don't
go anywhere. But this team is going for two. That's next.
It was their worst loss yet. We'll explain that in
just about a minute twenty one minutes past hour. This

(15:01):
is Fox Football Sunday. Is Brian oh on Andy Firm
and we are at Fox Sports Radio and it's football.
And to tell you what it's in about three hours.
For now, I can't believe there's be The Jets are
playing the Falcons nine thirty a m. Eastern time from London,
but if you're on the West coast, that's six thirty
in the morning. I just wonder when the readies will

(15:21):
be on the West Coast getting up at six thirty
am to watch this game. And really it's not that
attractive Jets one in three, Falcons one than three and
the Jets and fact they're getting too in this game. Yeah,
I would say they're not gonna be that high. Andy,
that's very early in the morning for a couple of
losing teams right now record wise, So yeah, I don't
think that, uh, a lot of people on the West

(15:43):
Coast could be rising that early to see this one.
And how about this since we've had yeah, we've had
the London series since two thousand seven, We've never had
a game featuring two teams with winning records. It's ever happened,
not one time. Yeah, and it's the same today. But hey,

(16:06):
it's right now, and I'll go because it's it's a promotion,
it's a one time deal. It's a big deal, and
that they'll sell all the memorabili and all jerseys and
everything they can in London. And I tell you what,
I I think I've had it up to here already
with the London games. I mean, I'm not gonna watch
it at nine thirty in the morning today, especially the
Jets and foul because Jets look at they went too
straight and a what do you have going on? What

(16:26):
are you doing at uh? A little bread? Are you
on East Coast Time? On East Coast Time show? Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah,
what are you doing at nine thirty in the morning.
You're already up? I'll watch are you're right? Yeah? But
still in all that, I just I don't know, you know,
one quarterback on the way up, hopefully Zack Wilson. One quarterback.
And I was a big fan of Matt Ryan, Maddie Ryan.

(16:47):
I just I don't know what's happened. I mean, it's over.
I gotta believe that his career is. And he never
had a lot of people surrounding him this year, certainly
not much of a surrounding cast. But I expect more
from Matt Ryan. And just he's not giving it to me.
Shooting with the throwing the ball completion a t D
three iron t S that's not bad. It's not bad.

(17:07):
Like this is the thing. It's about Atlanta's defense way
way more than it is about Matt Ryan. Now, look,
Matt Ryan, I'm not gonna tell you he's crushing it
this year. That's not the case. But if you're looking
at where The problem is it's way more with that
defense than it is with Matt Ryan. That's the bottom line.
But Matt Ryan has the biggest name on that team,

(17:29):
and so if the team is struggling somehow, the blame
gets pointed at him. That's the way those I don't
think it's correct in this instance, but that's typically the
way it goes right And in this game, I tell
you what, I still think that the the Falcons will prevail,
but because I have a little more experience and I
think it's big. The defense is the Jets. The defensive
secondary is worse. Well, yeah, I've got Atlanta in this game.

(17:52):
No Calvin Ridley. He's out for a personal reason. So
that obviously doesn't help the Falcons. But you look at
the Jets. They were on the field last week ninety
three plays. That was their Their defense was on the
field for ninety three plays and that overtime win against
the Titans. That's a lot of plays. Andy, That is
an uncommon amount of plays. That is the fourth highest

(18:15):
amount of plays for a defense in the NFL since
two thousand. I think abouny games have been played since
two thousand. The fourth most plays for a defense to
be on the field for and then you go all
the way over there, travel to London. I could see
the Jets just getting gassed on defense. And then you
have Zack Wilson where Yeah, he finally played some good

(18:38):
football last week against the Titans, but for the season,
four touchdowns, eight picks like this dude is one of
the worst passer ratings in football. So he's not facing
the eighty five Bears today. But it's not like you
can trust Zach Wilson just yet this early in his career.
You know, I want to move on to the Lions
Vikings game, and I kind of feel for my my

(18:59):
good friendly yours. We love dearly crisp uh. Lions are
getting ten in this game. The Vikings lost fourteen seven
at home to the Browns. That was a demoralizing loss
last week. I did some research in this game. Kurt Cousins.
He went without an interception against the Bengals, against Arizona
and against Seattle thus far this year. He had that
interception against the Browns, which is crushing. He is seven

(19:19):
and thirty five against teams that have finished the season
with a winning record, and the Browns they were all
over and they had ten hits on Cousins, and it
was a four point game. If the three quarters, Browns
are up fourteen seven, about six minutes to go, cousins
next pass wasn't decepted by that quarterback Williams, Greedy Williams,
and good night, it was all over. It was demoralizing,
and they've had a couple of demoralizing losses this year,

(19:41):
the Vikings. But I think today they'll take it out
on the Lions. Well, it was a strange game last week,
that's for sure, because the Vikings marched right down the
field their first drive scored a touchdown and that was
it for offense for the game for Minnesota. They just
couldn't get it going. And to lose the game four
team to seven. That's some old school stuff right there.

(20:02):
It's like shout out to nineteen seventy one or something
like that. You know, you just typically don't see that
in the NFL. But yeah, Vikings, and you gotta start
stacking wins. Man, it mounts up really fast, right you
go back earlier in the season, should have beaten the
Arizona Cardinals, should be the seven yard field go. Yeah,
the call on the fumble was terrible. Yeah, I thought

(20:23):
it was a bad call. I thought that Dalvin Cook
still had it. But you dropped that game in over
time in week one. Then week two, you've got the
game against the Arizona Cardinals. Greg Joseph misses a thirty
seven yard field goal, and then they laid an egg
last week, and all of a sudden, you're just stacking losses.
You're stacking the wrong thing over here. We need to
stack wins. And I still think they're better than the

(20:44):
one in three record. I know it sounds stupid, it does,
and I think they're just They're not a bad bull club.
They're not Lions are all one four And by the way,
the Vikings have won seven in a row, sorry Chris,
seven in a row against Detroit. Alright, so we'll see
what happens. I I do think that the Vikings win
this one today, but I think they're not gonna score
a lot of points. I think they they win, and
they may win by about a touchdown of the thereabouts.

(21:04):
Well maybe, but uh, I think that last week just
sticks in the front of your head, right, But if
you look at the two previous weeks, they scored thirty
three points against the Arizona Cardinals, and a lot of
people think Arizona is the best team in football. And
then uh, the previous week against Seattle. And granted Seattle
does not have a great defense right now, but they

(21:26):
scored thirty against Seattle. So the point is, I think
just laying an egg and only scoring seven points against
the Browns, it makes the offense seem way worse than
it actually is. So when you're facing a Lions team today,
I think they score in the thirties. I think this
is a get right game for Minnesota's offense. Um with
you on the other just get right game out have
to score in the thirties. By the way, our executive

(21:47):
producer Dickie b tells us that the NFL has got
to announce the three final cities for the game in Germany,
which I know when they're gonna have a game in Germany.
This this announcement's gonna be it on Tuesday, and the
game could possibly played as earliest twenty two and German.
Are they playing these games just to have a worldwide
presence of the NFL that they're actually looking to expand
in some of these cities, because I heard like maybe

(22:10):
they may go to London, because the owner of Jacksonville
Is is involved with the you know, Manchester or whatever
it may be. They win a team in London. Is
that possible? I don't think the Players Association will go
for it with the travel I really don't. I could
see it happening. Um, it's a long shot, I believe. Um.
I don't think it happens anytime soon. Um, but it's

(22:33):
possible down the road. But going back to the your
original question with Germany, Yeah, this is all about cash man,
It's all about the ULAH. So they're looking to expand
the international series. I don't anticipate we're gonna have teams
physically in London and Germany. And let's throwing Yugoslavia and
you know what I mean, Like you're just playing international games,
which drums up more business, drums up more interests. So

(22:56):
and it and it hurts season ticket holders. You lose
a game, you lose a home game when you she's
a ticket package. Yeah, but how many people are clamoring,
like for today, for instance, how many people in Atlanta
are like, oh my gosh, we don't get to see
the Jets and Falcons in Atlanta today. The sucks, right,
I don't know how many people are going to that
game if it's in Atlanta, right, So I think it's

(23:17):
better for the NFL. Granted it might hurt the season
ticket holders in one game, but um, it's the cost
of doing business for the NFL. I think it's better
for the NFL to have this international series. Well, I
hear you're right. He's Brian Ohm, Andy Ferman. Get us
on Twitter at the no Show and we show at
Andy from an FSR and this just might be one
of the biggest shocks of the season. I'm gonna tell

(23:39):
you all about the next but first here's a real shock.
Brian Fenley with the latest. Thank you so much, Andy
and Brian, And you know, Andy, with you saying that
the NBA should be in Louisville, you talk about the
NFL maybe moving and building a franchise, I would think
that you'd think of maybe Greenland, knowing some of the
different theories that you have out there, that might be
a nice home for a future NFL team, which is

(24:00):
more likely Brian Fenley, Is it that there's an NBA
team in Louisville or there's an NFL team in London.
That's a good question that is a great question. It's
a lay up. It's I think it's London. It's London
for sure. Yeah, yeah, but leave it to Andy Hill
think that the NFL will have a place in Greenland.
And that's the first time Greenland has ever been mentioned

(24:21):
on National Sports Radio. So as you guys were talking
about the NFL, there's a lot going on today. Some
of the injury notes that are hitting the wires right now.
Bengals running back Joe Mixon did not practice this week.
He still thumbs up to play despite the ankle injury.
Cowboys Ezekiel, Elliott, Marii Cooper, Randy Gregory all greenlit to

(24:42):
get after it against the Giants. Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater
has cleared protocol from that concussion, so he should be
good to go, as as is the case for Courtland Sutton,
who's a game time decision with a sprained ankle. Lions
stars and running back DeAndre Swift, offensive lineman Penet Sewell,

(25:04):
and tight end t J. Hopkinson. They are coming off
injuries and they should be playable as well, such as
the case for Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds. They said
that he was questionable with that shoulder injury. Now they
expect him to play against the forty Niners. As far
as college football is concerned, Number one Alabama croaks to
Texas A and m forty one to thirty eight. They

(25:26):
aggy sock that game winning last second field goal. Number
nine in Michigan powers past Nebraska thirty two to twenty
nine thanks to a late field goal. Sixteenth ranked Kentucky Andy,
were you at this game? I know it's a little
bit of a drive for you in Lexington, but that
was where the Wildcats beat L s U forty two
to twenty one. And how about the L s U Tigers,

(25:49):
now three and three on the season. They also lost
to U C l A. I might want to throw
that in there. The Boise State beats b y U,
the number ten team in the country seventeen And just
a couple of notes. He had Tyson Fury defending his
WBC heavyweight title, beating Deonte Wilder t k O style
in the eleventh round and the fight, what a battle.

(26:11):
Just sock him. That was up and down and let
a knock out. A lot of guys hitting the canvas
last night, sort of like when you were the playground
and you're in sixth grade and you took one. Yeah,
took one for the team. The team. The only way
I got into a game in the playground if I
bought the ball, really and then the kids would steal

(26:33):
it from you. And then on the roofe to kid. Really,
it was a tough guy. I don't even remember his name.
I used to bring those little pink spoll Dean balls
to play stickball. And he said, let me see the ball, kid,
and he taken like a heave to the top of
the roof of the school. I mean, it was ridiculous, believable, unbelievable.
And finally the Dodgers victorious against the Giants nine to two.

(26:53):
That series is even at one Divisional round Major League Baseball,
and the Braves victorious over the Brewers three is it
one one in that matchup? As we get back to
a another lethal matchup, it is Brian No, Andy Furman,
It's not a matchup. This is a cordial situation. It
really is. By the way, we'll see you in and
now one quarterback really needs some help. We'll get that
right around the corner. Bronx Talk Radio come up with

(27:14):
about seven eight minutes from now. But the New Orleans
Saints against the Washington football team Washington plus two and
a half of this one. Saints loos to the Giants
and ot amazing one last week. But one of the
biggest shocks this year, as I mentioned, is how bad
this Washington defense has performed, really underperformed. Is the world
we should use? But can the Saints run against this

(27:35):
Washington defense? And canteddi Bridge want to have a passing
game against him? Those are the two questions I have
in this game. Who you got Teddy's on the broncos Man? First,
I'm sorry, yeah, like, yeah, yeah, Look, the Saints defense
last week against the Giants, what do you do? And
normally twenty one to ten at home with about seven

(27:57):
plus minutes to go, that's a rap that should be
a Saints win. But the defense, they didn't get it
done against Dany Dimes last week. So I think the
defense definitely has something to prove against Washington today. I
would expect the Saints defense to be focused all week,
and I think it's gonna be tough for Washington to
score a ton of points against the Saints. And we've

(28:18):
talked about it, Andy, that Washington defense, what is going on? Like,
I guess WTF with w f T right as far
as their defense goes come on already, Like I gotta
see some defense out of Washington, and uh, we all
know it's a mixed bag with Jamis Winston. So we'll
see if the Washington defense can start to get right today.

(28:40):
But they're gonna have their hands full trying to slow
down Alvin Camara. I think that running attack is gonna
be Yeah, the the linebackers of Washington have not played well,
and when you're facing Camara, it's an uphill battle today
for them. No, you're exactly where have they put pressure
on Jamis s. Winston. Will see how he handles because
he could crack under the pressure. He's done that in
the past with those thirty I m t s he's
had under his bell. Did that. But the Patriots at

(29:01):
the Texas today both it hurts me to say there's
both teams have won in three. Not so much for
the Texas but for my Patriots. One of three. Texas
are getting seven and a half. In this one, Patriots
lost and it was a heartbreak. It really was led
out to Tampa Bay nineteen seventeen with the missfield goal,
but the Texas have lost three straight forty two zip.
Are you kidding at Buffalo last week? But the sort

(29:23):
of Patriots with when is the running it? Did you
hear these stats? I gotta run these value they need
to run obviously to help Mac Jones. Last week they
rushed from minus one yard against the Buccaneers, minus one.
They opened the season rushing for one against your Dolphins,
one on one against the Jets, forty nine against the Saints,
and now minus one against the Bucks. Not a good

(29:44):
graph for the Patriots. I gotta get that running game going. Yeah, hey,
I hear you. That'll take stress off of Mac Jones.
And obviously, how about the defense? First things though, First
things first, last week, I can't believe the Patriots kept
it that close. I really I thought they were gonna
get rolled. Man, that's a fourth quarter game. They easily

(30:04):
could have won that game. So you're not gonna run
the ball against Tampa that much. We know Tampa's run
defense is just too nasty, at least for a Patriots team.
But we'll see if they can get on track running
the ball against Houston. You're right forty to nothing. We
we know that the Bills are obviously a heavy favorite
against the Texans, but they doubled the point spread. We

(30:25):
talked about the point spread with seventeen and a half
last week. You could double that point spread and they
still covered that thing with these Yeah, that that would
be like a pre seat. That was like an opening
day Division one college game when they play those cookies,
you know what I mean, that's basically what that game
was last week. Forty two zip. I mean, you don't
hear that much in the NFL at games like that.
One side of games. It was embarrassing. Really yeah, it

(30:49):
was bad. That was absolutely bad. But how about the uh,
the uh the sharps over there in Vegas there betting
on the Texans. This line has moved quite a bit.
It was around nine earlier in the week, and now
all of a sudden, the money is trickling in on
the Houston Texans. So I just love that. I love
the gamblers right with oh no, no no, no, nine points,

(31:11):
get out of here. That's ridiculous. You gotta go with
the Texans. Bet the Texans here. They're bringing in briefcases
the bet on the Texans. I can't see the Texans
winning this game. I really can't. I mean I would
say that if they if they beat the Patriots today
and forget about the line in this game, they just
beat him straight up, Bill Bill Belichick. I mean, he
may end up in Columbus with Urban Meyer. Really well,

(31:33):
I don't see that happening because the Texans stink first off,
and we know Belichick his record overall against rookie quarterbacks,
and that's the deal today with Davis Mills. Right, yeah,
so yeah, I don't think the texts are gonna win.
But gamblers, right, the wise guys are like, we're not
talking about them winning. We're talking about the Texans plus

(31:55):
seven and a half, right, Like that's what they're concerned about. Yeah,
they got a couple of guys down. I think four
guys four linement down the Patriots. That's it's not gonna
help him that as either. But I'll tell you what,
you know, all these rookie quarterbacks that have coming this year,
I don't have to put mac Jones at the top
of the pack because I think with the way that
the way the Patriots have kind of done their place
set for him, they made him so much successful in

(32:17):
that situation that they haven't heard him like they did
in Philadelphia, Like they've done in Chicago with those quarterbacks,
So I think that they've done a good job. But
you've got to open up that wrong game. If he's
gonna have any sort of success. Well, yeah, I think
mac Jones he's he's been steady, right, he hasn't been bad. Um,
I wouldn't be too glowing, And I know you're not
with your praise for mac Jones. Where you know, four touchdowns,

(32:40):
four picks, the six and passer rating in the in
the NFL, So he's not crushing it, but he's been steady.
Give me a sevent completion percentage. They're throwing a lot
of you know, high percentage passes, not exactly throwing the
ball vertically down the field, that sort of thing. But
it's just process of elimination. Trevor Lawrence has thrown more

(33:01):
picks than touchdowns, Zack Wilson has thrown more picks than touchdowns.
You've got justin Fields hasn't done anything yet, and this
will be the first start for Trey Lance. So yeah,
just by elimination, mac Jones has been the best rookie
quarterback so far. Would you have thought that mac Jones
would have been rated higher than Trevor Lawrence going into
this season as we after four games, Um, I could

(33:24):
see it happening just because the Jacks are picking number
one overall for a reason they won one game last year.
I still I know Trevor Lawrence is a better quarterback
than Mac Jones. But four games in, right, when you
match Trevor Lawrence with all this chaos with Urban Meyer
and what's going on over there, compared to matching Mac

(33:45):
Jones with Bill Belichick, like, it's not a total stunner
that Mac Jones is off to a better start thus far.
I may be mistaken, but I think that we were
talking about this like in July, earlier August, perhaps that
we would look discussion when we thought Mac joe as
would get his first stought. And I know I think
I said I thought Cam Newton will be the quarterback.
I didn't think Mac Jones will be starting this just

(34:07):
I don't think they cut Cam Newton either, I really did. Well, Yeah,
that's the other part of it is, I thought that
Mac Jones would start more games than Cam Newton. But yeah,
you rewind a couple of months ago. We didn't know
how long it was gonna take for Mac Jones to
even see the field, and then Cam's gone and Max
the week one starter. So yeah, yeah, I think that's

(34:29):
part of it. Also, you weren't even really thinking about
mac Jones is gonna be the starter all season long?
So how good of a start is he gonna have?
That really wasn't even a conversation at the time. Back then,
You're exactly right. He's Brian, Oh, I'm Andy Fermans his
Fox Football Sunday on Fox Sports. Ready to know. It's
out of control, it's a free for all. It's Bronx
Talk Radio, and it's freaking next Bronx Talk Radio right

(34:52):

(35:13):
some report limitations apply. Let's go to the Bronx, guys.
It's time to channel your inner New York here. We
want to hear all the rationalities you can spew on
the hottest topics of the day. Here's something we like

(35:35):
to call Bronx Talk Radio, posted by the Great Crisp
bronztok Radio. We got three pillars, fights, scandals, and the Yankees,
and unfortunately one of those is crumbled. The Scandals, the Yankees,
you're missing sex and drugs. You keep it in your
freaking pants. Okay, okay, all right, and speaking of your pants,

(35:58):
ban the green monster that's in my pants. Wow. Wow.
Let's go to the fights, then, shall we. Wilder Fury three,
Wilder Fury three, the trilogy is now complete. Tyson Fury
knocks out Deontay wildernocks out Deontay Wilder. I am I

(36:25):
need to throw you off your game? Did you settle
down over there? So while the Knox Fury down twice,
the problem is every time you knocked down Fury, he
gets stronger and more stupid, so he ends up knocking
Wilder down in turn three times, third times, a ko
massive slug fest and some freaking classic over there. So
what's next? Who's six? Got three other belts over there?

(36:45):
Someone's gonna freaking unify you guys want to see a
fourth fight? What what's in the cot these two. Yes,
don't you think the fight very well? Could? There's gonna
be a lot of mons. Was a tremendous fight over there.
And it's like that, Chris, it's like the old Undertaker meme,
right or the Gift You want to go like that
Withers on the canvas and just boom right back over there.

(37:10):
I'm telling you he has a superpower. He has a
super power. You punch him and he loses brain cells,
but those brain cells get transformed into muscle and adrenaline,
and he's good for the he's good for the boxing
game over there. Shown he's walking in like he's uh
from the movie three D with You Shook Me All
Night Long from b c DC. It's a lot of

(37:31):
fun over there with he alternated between Colin Wilder be
and then saying after the fight that he'll pray for him.
He just keeps going back and forth. He's wonderful spectrum
over there from hitting his head in them that day. Yeah, well,
you know, what, what do you want? He's He's British
and this is what he's gonna do. I love him,

(37:51):
I love him. He's amazing. I want to be the
sport they need a guy like that. I want you
to punch me twenty times in the face, and I
want to be just like him. I'd love to we
can we can arrange that. We'll see after we get
on your podcast. We'll settle down over there less we
get on there. So we've got a scandal for the
ages in the freaking NBA. I told you Yankees fights, scandals.

(38:15):
Let's go to scandals. The NBA is rocked now. Eighteen
former athletes in the NBA had been charged by the
U S Attorney's Office with defrauding the NBA's health and
wellness plans the tune of four million freaking dollars over here.
According to the US off Office the Attorney, some players
were getting fake root canals. These these root canal procedures

(38:37):
were taking place on the same day for all of them,
on the same tooth, in the same freaking clinic. And
let's let me let me let you know there were
no actual root canal procedures being made. Spoiler alert. Yeah,
I'll tell you this. Greed is the enemy of a
great hustle, you know what I mean. Like they had

(38:58):
something going on, They're making some care and it's just
the greed. They keep going to the well way too
often and they get busted. When you hear stories like
this during the times that we have right now, where
people can't make rent payments and these guys are scanning companies,
it kills me. I tell these guys make a million
over there. No, no, it's true, and you know it
and I know it. It's funny because who is making

(39:20):
this many appointments for the Root Canal other than the
Gambino family. Oh, come on, that's not true. They keep that.
It's it's it's the eight players. They were involved. They
started the whole deal. Eighteen players. Hey, Brian, you want
to stop by later, I'll set a crown for you. Hey,
if I'm getting cast I yeah, let's make it happen

(39:42):
over here. The old NFL players now the old NBA players. Disgusting,
really well, what is disgusting is a bird? A bird,
more often a bird sitting on your freaking head. You
see us from the sea. Tell me the hawk dot
loose and jumped on a guy head. I thought that
was a set up, though. Have you ever had a

(40:03):
bird on your head digging its talents and skull? I
just said they didn't They didn't do it. Yeah, he
went to first aid afterwards. What are you doing? Those
are freaking sharp talents over there, ray shots. What would
you do if you're in that situation? I would go
straight to the face Tyson fury St. Yeah, yeah, right
right to the right, to the to the beak boom. Yeah,
I don't know what I do? Really, show that bird

(40:24):
its freaking place over that and we do it in
the bronx. Oh, you would be public enemy number one.
I'd be like, what do you want from me? Talents?
All right? Right, cross, That's all I have, and be like, hey,
I'm walking here. What are you doing? You're trying to fly?
You can't. This is no flies. Fox Sports Radio has

There's a week late, but can they exploit it? Well,
that's coming right up. He is Brian No I'm Andy Fermer. Together.

(41:29):
This is Fox Football Sunday on Fox Boats Radio. Now
it's my pleasure to introduce my friend, my partner, and
he is, in fact the brains of the offet, the
one and only Brian No. B what's up on ball day? Oh?
Lots going on here right full slate. We've got four
windows of ball with the London game added to the mix. So,

(41:50):
as you were saying earlier, maybe not four windows if
you're on the West coast. I don't know. If you're
rising at about I don't know six thirty am to
see Jets and Falcons your hardcore if you do, and
salute to you if you do. But uh, four windows,
especially for the East coast, you know, ninety isn't that
crazy to ask? No, I think it's wonderful. I really,

(42:12):
By the way, a quick equiz if I can week
five obviously, the biggest surprise for you in week five
going to the season, and the biggest perhaps disappointment thus far,
if the five weeks in the NFL. Okay, alright, so
biggest surprise in the NFL thus far? Good or bad? Yeah? Well, well,
biggest surprise, the biggest disappointment. Okay. Biggest disappointment I would

(42:35):
say right now was Kansas City to be two and
two and dead last in the a f C West.
Who had that coming into the season, right, um? Biggest
surprise in a good way? Ah, I think you could
go with I would say possibly Dallas. I don't know
how many people were just touting Dallas. We know what

(42:58):
would expect. Some people give them their hype. Yeah, that's
a good one. Arizona be the final undefeated team in
the NFL. Not many people had that, So yeah, I
think that's a better one. I think Arizona certainly, But
Dallas the way they've looked, I think going back to
Week one and being that close to beating Tampa when

(43:19):
some thought it could be a pretty comfortable win for
Tampa Bay, so they would be in the mix. But
I like yours better. I would say Arizona being the
final undefeated team and its fourth disappointments. I would say
perhaps the Steelers because I expected more. I didn't think
then would be that downtrodden. And I think maybe the
forty nine is too a little bit of a disappointment. Yeah,
those all work. I still would go with Kansas City

(43:41):
because they were the favorite UM to win the Super Bowl. Uh,
they're on the very shortlist at least to get to
the Super Bowl. And to you know, to drop a
couple of games back to back, that that was surprising.
That's definitely the disappointment. Now you Adolphins are ten point
favorites over the Tampa Bay Bucks. To Tampa Bay has
that banged up secondary said, there's a week link that

(44:03):
could possibly be the week link. They struggled at times
to defend the pass, but can you quartterback Jacoby Precent
exploit that weakness that's the Christian today. Well, yeah, it's uh,
which will prevail? Right, Miami's offensive line stinks. They've given
up a lot of sacks. Jacoby prict has nothing to
write home about. So Tampa's got a good pass rush.

(44:25):
Maybe the pass rush is enough to compensate for that
week secondary and they're a mash unit back there. Tampa.
They can't stop the pass at all, and uh, you
know their down bodies left and right, and maybe no
ant antone Winfield junior as well the safety. So they've
got all these corners that are missing, They've they've got
safety injuries as well. So if the Dolphins offensive line

(44:47):
can at least give Jacoby a little bit of time, yeah,
he's capable of at least keeping the game close against
that secondary. But you don't think the Dolphins will prevail.
I don't see them winning this. But I also think
that no Gronk, it's not a coincidence that Tampa didn't
do much of anything offensively last week without Gronk on

(45:09):
the field. I mean that's another weapon, that's another security.
I think the rain hurt Tom Brady's passing attack as well.
I mean that bull was taking off at times. And
I think that a lot to do with the weather. Yeah,
I don't really buy it, like Tom Brady has put
up in that same weather. Yeah, who knows. And I
just don't think they're gonna win. I think the Dolphins

(45:30):
go down today. I'm sorry to say that, but my
Bengals were at home today. The first sellout in two
and a half, three years to expect to sell out
against the Packers today. Bengals are getting two and a half.
This game could be a shootout. And I tell you what,
this is a tough game to bet on. I tell
you what. If they could PreTect protect Joe JB Joe Borrow,
they could protect him. There's a possibility with the receivers

(45:51):
that they have their trio, they could beat those Packers today. Yeah,
they could. Packers are banged up too, We're talking about
Tampa's injuries. You had Green Bay. They finished the game
last week against the Steelers down seven starters. That's a lot.
So yeah, it's uh, can you match points with Aaron
Rodgers is basically what it comes down to. And uh,

(46:15):
Green Bay is ben jekylin hide defensively this season and
no Jayra Alexander, he's banged up. So Jamaar Chase your boy,
big play Chase over there with big plays in every
single game this year. Right, He's had a catch over
thirty yards, So we'll see if you can do it

(46:35):
for a fifth straight week. Pretty crazy, but uh, yeah,
that's a I agree with you. It's a real tricky
game because Initially you're like, oh gosh, green Bay minus
two and a half, and then you're like, wait a minute,
what's going on here in Vegas? Right? They seem like
they're trying to sucker us in with this line. Well,
I got the Brian no system. This this is ever
since you told me this several weeks ago. This is

(46:57):
when I kind of go by and it's not the
end to all, but it really helps you look at
the schedule. You see if any impressive wins on the
schedule doesn't mean anything of a team's record is up there.
And the Bengals are three and one, which I never
thought they would be at the four games. But the
impressive wins. They've beat Minnesota, which I thought it was
a joke because it was a bad call, Pittsburgh they
won their a bad team, and they beat Jacksonville, which

(47:19):
is the bad team. So the three and one record
to me is somewhat that you put a little asterisk
next to it. It's great to beat three and one,
beter than one in three or four, But who have
they beaten now is a test well, and a couple
of other things to add to that. They lost to
the Bears, which are nothing to write home about, right,

(47:40):
And they struggled mightily against the Jags in the first half.
They they're lucky to escape at home against Jacksonville. So
that adds a little bit more to what you're saying.
Where you see three and one, you're like, hey, the
Bengals up. But if you look a little closer, it's
not the most impressive that we've seen, right, and you
look at the package on the other side of the coin, Yeah,
they beat the at San Francisco and Pittsburgh, and they're

(48:01):
basically two teams in there that are poor. In San Francisco,
I think it's a little better, but they struggled. They've
been there by two. But those are teams they should beat.
Your teams on the schedule, they have tough games with
and there are teams that you look prior to the
season's say we gotta beat these teams, gotta beat these teams,
and we should beat these teams now on the Bengal schedule.
I wouldn't check off saying that the Packers are one

(48:22):
of the teams that the Bengals should beat. They could
beat them, I don't think they should beat them well,
and I think that's what separates the two teams just
in terms of their schedules four games in. If you
look at Green Bay's win at San Francisco, that was
a heck of a win. I mean, come on, at
the end, you only have what thirty seven seconds and
Aaron Rodgers goes straight down the field, sets up a

(48:44):
long field goal, you escape with a win. That that was.
That's way more impressive than anything on the Bengal schedule
so far, right. But I will tell you this, but
I think the Bengals have come a long way. And
I'm not trying to, you know, root for them as
far as being a homer over here. But dare my team.
I mean, I live in town here. I watched him play,
and you know, thank goodness, we have an NFL team.

(49:05):
And I have these arguments with people all the time.
What they stink? I said, you know what, I'd rather
live in Cincinnati and have a bad football team that
live in Oscash and not have a football team. Really,
I mean, it's like you're you're at the different end
of the world if you're living in a city that
Dore's have a football team. You mentioned Louisville. You know,
with the NBA, they don't have an NFL team. I
mean on Sundays. It's a different animal on Sunday. If

(49:27):
you're a sports fan, it really is. I think to
have an NFL team is is a big plus in
the city. And it maybe a big plus. I'm not
talking like the Chamber of Commerce now, but it's a
bit plus to attract people who graduate college who want
to live in that city. Yeah, go ahead, rub salt
in the wounds of all the cities without NFL teams
around that. But it's true. Yeah, team in your freaking kalamazoo.

(49:51):
Stick it to your baby. Really omaha, omaha. You know
every time Peyton would say that, it's stuck a hard knife. Yeah,
I wish we had a team, mama. Uh uh yeah,
hey listen, uh yeah, that's fine. And they're man, they're
bitter about that. They are bent about not having an

(50:13):
NFL team there. But hey, look whatever, I see, I
hear what you're saying. But this, to me is a
It's a litmus test game for the Bengals. We've talked
about their schedule and how they fared and all of that.
This is the toughest opponent that they faced to date
this season. So how do you fare against an undermanned

(50:34):
Packers team. They've got all their injury issues, and I
thought you said it best. This isn't a team that
the Bengals should beat, but it's a team they could beat,
and it's gonna say a lot about where they're headed
this season in a loaded division. Right when you're contending
with the Ravens and the Browns and the Steelers in
the basement, there are worst teams in the basement of

(50:56):
their respective divisions than the Pittsburgh Steelers with their defense.
So it's a tough division. And how you fared today
against the Packers gives us a little bit of a
glimpse of what might be to come for the Bengals.
I haven't checked though. I had the the points, but
was two and a half. I haven't checked the over
and on that because I think this game could be
a shootout and I'm thinking of something and I'm taking

(51:17):
the Bengals. I think the Bengals win this game, I
really do. I think they win something in the effect
like one, but I don't know what the over under is. Well,
first off, shame on you, because it's right there right Well,
if you're looking at the points, Breads you got total, right,
but but I clicked it off on that shame shame,
shame on you. Shame shame can Actually that's for the total.

(51:39):
So you think it's gonna be over Yeah, I really do,
Yeah with ease, with that score, I do. I really
I think it'll be a shootout. But you know, I
I recall the last time the pack This is funny.
The last time the Packers came to Cincinnati, some drunk
I was gonna ask you about this. Oh so drunk

(52:00):
jumped over the stands and as the bowl was being snapped,
he like swooped it away and he was running around
the field and like the security guys couldn't catch him
from Yeah, and he drive towards the end of the
game and oh five, dude comes running on the field
takes the ball from Brett Farve. What what I don't
understand is announcers always say, well, he must be an

(52:21):
eb he must be drinking. Here's my question, though, if
you have that drunk, how could you run that fast?
That's the problem. I mean, don't you like wobbly and
falling over? Was this guy and it was a guy,
It wasn't a kid. I think it was a guy.
He was, he was motoring on that field, he really was.
It took a whole bunch of security guys to nab
this guy and tackle him. And maybe it's maybe it's

(52:42):
worth it to spend the night in the can to
get that kind of notoriety, to get that faint that
you and I in a national talk show cost a
show could be talking about a guy from two thousand five. Look,
there's an idea here, all right, follow me on this
one drunk track and field? Seriously, what do you think
about this? Right? That we get the breathalyzer test right before, right,

(53:03):
so we're at least at a one point zero like
at least, and there might be varying degrees kind of
like boxing. How they are different weight classes. You know,
maybe we get the one point five breathalyzer division, maybe
you get the two point for the really inebriated, right,
and then we have all the track and field events,
no javelin, let's get that, no javelin, but we can
have the one hundred meter dash, maybe the two hundred meter.

(53:26):
I don't know if we want to go with hurdles
or not, but I like this idea about you. How
fast can you be while loaded. You know, I would
love to know that, or the drunk marathon really a
drunk marathon. I mean, you know they have these little
one of stops on the marathons that have now have
like the little beer stops, you know, and see how
far you can go before you collapse and pass out?
I mean right, like you gotta keep your blood alcohol

(53:48):
level right yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. If you if you
drop below, you're out, You're out. You gotta stay hydrated
with booze. Yeah. I I kind of liked it. We
were onto something here, I think we I mean, why
do I think of Eddie Garcia now all of a sudden,
I know it's what's the situation we do? Eddie Garcia

(54:09):
and I gotta make it to l A. I'm gonna
try to make it to l A before the year ends.
And as long as I make it there, then yeah,
Eddie Garcia has to pay off his lost bet. He's
told him that the Browns would make it to the
playoffs at least once within a five year span. He
thought I was crazy, so he lost. He's gotta jump
into the fountain across from the Fox Sports Radio studios

(54:31):
there in Sherman Oaks, so hopefully before the year ends
we can make that happen. Some pub on that. But
I'm a little worried about Bacon Mayfield because he's got
an injury and that non throwing show. It doesn't matter
like this, this bet is already done right. The Browns
made it to the playoffs last year, so he lost.
It's paying up time now head first. He's going in
head first here. He is all right, he's Brian No

(54:53):
get him on Twitter at the No show. I know
the show at Andy Firm and FSR. And of course
we got on a barrel betting in this hour. I'm
Brian No one knows picks. I can't wait to hear
him an hour number three. But how will this team
move to football? That's next a new team in a
new game. That's right around the corner about twenty one
minutes past the hour. This is Fox Football Sunday on

(55:14):
Fox Bolts Radio. He's probably no. I'm Andy Ferman to

(55:37):
the apology here. You know, we've got rehab in this
country for a variety of things, you know, alcohol abuse, drugs.
I think that Chris, our trusted technical producer, he needs
limp biscuit rehab. We've got it, We've gotta have. We
need to send him to limp biscuit rehab right away.

(55:58):
Every time I do a show with this guy, he's
playing some limp biscuit he loves them. I think he's
already in rehab. To be honest with you, you you know, okay,
but I do want to apologize to our executive producer,
Nikki Battaglia. Nikky b Basically, it's like the mayor of Syracuse,
and why am I apologizing to him? Because I kind

(56:18):
of had a broad brush over every city in the
Great United States of America that doesn't have an NFL team,
and I said this second rate and Syracuse obviously doesn't
have an NFL team. So Nikki, I gotta quickly ask you,
what did you do on a Sunday when there's no
NFL team? Who do you root for? What? Do you do.
I guess you moll over the Saturday loss of the
Syracuse Orange. I guess that. And Uh also a lot

(56:40):
of Bills games on television. As a kid growing up,
watched a lot that was that was you only had
like two choices really quick. Uh. In Syracuse growing have
you either had the Bills, you had the Giants and
that was it. Hey, what do you think about this nickname?
Because I've messed this up to because it's spelled Battaglia.
But there's no G. How about this? No gen nikki
b The official way you're supposed to say that is

(57:02):
how my grandmother said it, and my uncle's it is Battalia.
That's how you're supposed to say it. But yeah, people
see the G and they go, they go with the
tag there. How often is there a silent G? Not often? Right? No,
you know, I will tell you so. I don't know
if you're related to my good friend Mike Battaglia, who
lives right near me here in northern Kentucky. For years
called to Kentucky Derby. He was a great track announcey.

(57:24):
He did at Latonia Racecourse where I worked, and he
did the Kentucky Derby a Churchill down. So I don't
know if there's any relation to Michael Battaglia and Nikki Battaglia. No, no,
I don't have any Michael. I have Michael my mom's side,
but a different last name was Gredano. But alright, just
checking in on you, all right, So I apologize. Hope
you accept the apology because I know Syracuse is a
great town. But no, NFL accepted. You can't thank you. You

(57:48):
You kind of a great city and you don't need
NFL to be a great city, but it makes the
city even better. Thank you? Now? Who want now be?
Who would have funk this? That the Broncos are playing
at Pittsburgh. Bron goes to three and one, Steelers are
one in three and the Steelers are one and a
half points getting And I mean, who would have funked
that after four games this season? I mean that's how

(58:10):
crazy this game is. Well, I mean I don't think
it's that crazy. If you look at Denver, their wins
came against just a bunch of yuck right, did we
have the stat where their wins at the time, we're
a bunch of winless teams. Yeah, So to be three
and one it's not the shock of shocks. And with Pittsburgh,

(58:32):
I mean, look, they've had a revamped offensive line, which
is not great. We all know about Big Ben struggles.
And after Week one the defense, which was lights out
against the Bills. They've been you know, from game to game.
So you put it all together and yeah, you see
a one in three record. I guess there's some shock
value because it's the Pittsburg Steelers, right with their history

(58:57):
and their winning ways and their consistency, never had a
losing record under Mike Tomlin. So we're not used to
this just based on the brand name. But you just
put them in Bengals uniforms or Lions uniforms, right, like,
this is not a shock at all. Well, I watched
that SELA game against the Green Bay Packers last week.
They lost seventeen at green Bay and Ben Roethlisberg at

(59:19):
times it was hot, they looked at the old Ben
and sometimes he was just so cold like ice, so
missing some easy throws that really could have kept Pittsburgh
in that Bowl game against green Bay. Well, and there's
been some more conversation about does Big Ben get benched?
Think about that Andy where, Well, there's no alternative. I mean,
there's really no Wayne Haskins, and he's a former first

(59:41):
round pick. Look, I don't expect him to be the
answer going forward, but we know this much. We know
big Ben isn't the answer going forward. And I know
you don't want to just throw in the towel for
the season this early on, But could Dwayne Haskins be
better than Big Ben right now? It's possible, So I

(01:00:02):
look at it that way, Andy Ware. If you know
that Big Ben isn't getting it done in the present
and he's certainly not the future, at some point you
need to get as much information as possible about Dwayne Haskins.
Could he possibly could he possibly be one of your
quarterbacks in the mix going into next year? Or do
you have to go with the rookie or some other

(01:00:24):
NFL veteran, some veteran QB and Haskins isn't in your
plans whatsoever because we know Big Ben isn't going to
be in the plans going forward. Well, you know, obviously,
as you said early on today, I mean, if the
team loses the Quotterbick gets only heat, and we mentioned
that early on, you to have like a non existent
run game the Steelers. I think the team as a
whole has two rushing touchdowns won by uh Harris, the rookie,

(01:00:47):
the first round pick. So I mean the running game
and that happened. That was the problem last year as well.
The running game is not existed, and certainly the offensive
line is a big problem there. But you gotta run
the football and they can't and they have know what
to do it well, there's no doubt, but still they
had no running game last year. They were dead last.
And we talked a lot about Big Ben. He was

(01:01:08):
criticized head heavily last year, but I thought that was premature,
right when you're throwing thirty one touchdowns, ten picks and
there was a lot of dinking and dunking. But still
it was he was effective. I didn't think he was
nearly as bad as he was made out to be
last year. But this year is a different story. When
you've got four touchdowns, four picks, your passer rating, your

(01:01:29):
seven in passer rating in the NFL, he's in the
same territory as Jacoby Brissette with the Dolphins. That's where
Big Ben is. He's under seventy nine in passer rating.
That is freaking brutal. So like he had no running
game last year either, and he was much better. So
he's regressed quite a bit, right, And if you can't

(01:01:50):
hide from all the time, you just can't do it.
Not the Eagles are Panthers today. Eagles are getting two
and a half. Now. The Eagles have lost three straight.
They've lost at Is, they've lost at Dallas, they us
to Casey and you know what, it doesn't get any
easier today with the Panthers. And Sam Donald's got like
a new life now five T d s, three I
N t s. But against Dallas, some bad decisions in that.

(01:02:11):
Prior to that Dallas game, he was someone on a roll.
Sam Donald, Well, and this is another tricky one for
me at least. I don't know how you feel about it,
but it just seems like, well, let's not overcomplicate this.
Go with Carolina right later two and a half. But
Carolina's offensive line is really banged up. And that's the
tricky part here is Philly can't stop the run. Their

(01:02:33):
thirty feet against the run, but with Carolina's offensive line,
it's like, well, who does what exactly? In this game?
You still have Fletcher Cox over there, against a decimated
Carolina oh line. This could be a game that's almost
solely on the shoulders of Sam Donald, and he's been

(01:02:54):
off to a very good start, but he could have
a stinker. I think we're any day, like any time
that we could have the Sam Donald stinker, and uh,
maybe it's today, but it just seems like Carolina. But man,
when you see that point spread and you see like
it's almost too good to be true, that's what makes
me worry that maybe Philly is due for a either

(01:03:16):
a very very close game or an outright win on
the road. And you look at these two quarterbacks, look
at their stats, they almost mirror one another. I mean,
Jalen Hurts ninety five, Sam Donald forty six, and the
percentages is so close. Hurts night, what are we talking
about here? Like completions and attempts okay, and uh Hurts

(01:03:39):
his percentage for completions sixty six where Donald's sixty seven.
And they both have thrown for over almost exactly the same.
Where Jalen Hurts seven t d s, two i n
T s, Sam Donald's five t ds and three i
n T. So basically even stephen there with their stats.
So we'll see what. It's one of those games that
I think a one big play they turned this game around,

(01:04:01):
and I'm taking the Panthers in this one. I like
the Panthers. I mean, I look, you might be right.
I think it's one of those toss up type games. Um, Philly,
they put up a lot of a lot of points
last week against Case. Their their offense hasn't been the
problem outside of that loss to the Niners, right that
seventeen to eleven game. But Jalen Hurts has performed well.

(01:04:26):
He's he put up numbers all season really um, with
the exception again in that Niners game. But he's been
pretty steady. I I don't have beef with Jalen Hurts
thus far. Um. And we'll see what this Carolina defense.
How about Carolina, they've been aggressive, right. They make the
trade to UH to get some cornerback help, and then

(01:04:47):
they pick up to find Gilmore. On top of that,
so they've traded for C. J. Henderson, they pick ups
to find Gilmore. I like Carolina. The moves they've made.
They're like, we're pretty freaking good over here. Let's go
for it. Yeah, right, I mean that's great. I love
and fans love that too, They really do. He's Brian
noh Andy Ferman. This is Fox Football Sunday on Fox Boats. Ready.

(01:05:07):
You know what, there's a bigger problem off the field
with this team. Will explain that next, but first our
own problem. Brian Fentiley with the latest feel like Andy.
You've used that line before, so I guess you're going
back to some of the old ones. Two guys is
enough for me? Daddy daddy, Daddy, daddy. Oh you don't, daddy,
Daddy sometimes beat my daddy by you too much rather

(01:05:29):
than that for sure. Well, this guy is always on top.
Speaking of what is on top of the NFL, and
as we get ready for a busy slate of games,
ESPN is reporting Russell Wilson has a realistic shot to
be back on the field in four weeks after injuring
his middle finger on his throwing hand back on Thursday.
There's a big finger too injured. I mean really, when

(01:05:49):
you go out in public with the tape on it,
it just you don't want to look around like that
with your middle finger. Well, your BEAUTI your middle hair
gets a lot of work. I opened up my did
you definitely open yourself up for that one? Big guy.
I want a mature guy. So can we move on please?
So now that it's only it could be just four weeks,

(01:06:11):
and there was an earlier timeline that said from four
to eight weeks. Also, doctors could know in the next
two weeks if Packers cornerback JayR Alexander, who's dealing with
a sprained a C joint, could miss several weeks now
or even worse require season ending surgery. Bengals running back
Joe Mixing is a thumbs up to play today despite

(01:06:35):
that ankle injury. The Cowboys have Ezekiel Elliott and Marii
Cooper Randy Gregory all set to go against the Giants.
Broncos QB Teddy Bridgewater is destined to play coming off
that concussion. Courtland Sutton is a game time decision with
an ankle sprained. Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds is going
to gut it out despite his shoulder injury earlier he

(01:06:57):
was presumed questionable. He is going to try and take
the field and they in. The Cardinals are taking on
the forty nine College football number one Alabama faltering to
Texas A and m forty one to thirty eight. The
last second field goal was the decider. There a last
second field goal was the difference for number nine Michigan.

(01:07:18):
There's the prior win away from Nebraska thirty two to
twenty nine. Sixteenth ranked Kentucky bamboozling l s U forty
two to twenty one. Third ranked Iowa squashing number four
Penn State twenty three to twenty. How about Boise State
awakening from hybridation. They get to five hundred after stepping

(01:07:38):
on number ten b y U twenty six to seventeen.
A win for number one or number excuse could be
number one Yere very shortly number two Georgia over eighteenth
ranked Abburn, putting the Tigers in their place. Seventeenth ranked
Ole miss with a fifty to the fifty one victory
over thirteenth ranked Arkansas, huge come from behind win for
number five Oklahoma past x Is fifty five to forty eight.

(01:08:02):
Tyson Fury victorious. He defends the WBC heavyweight title. Deonte
Wilder was his victim via t KO in the eleventh round.
And I hear Fury wants Andy Furman, except all furiosity
was look at Furman and he already wins the match.
And as far as Major League Baseball two Divisional round
games from Saturday. The Dodgers get back to a one

(01:08:25):
one series score after a nine to two victory over
the Giants and the Braves of even thinks that won
with the Brewers after Atlanta took a crowbar to Milwaukee
three zip as they send back to two guys that
are dominating in sports radio, Brian no and Andy Furman.
Thank you so much. We'll see you in an hour.
By the way, this team is for real. We'll tell

(01:08:47):
you all about that in just about a minute. We've
crossed the fifty oddline. And what we call Fox Football
Sunday on Fox Busts Ready and Bonn and Barrel betting
is about five six minutes away from this. So now
be we got the Titans of the Jags, and the
Jags are getting four in this game. Biggest problem is
not the team that they're playing, but the JAG's team
members say that coach Urban Meyer has lost the locker room.

(01:09:07):
There was a report in the New York Post yesterday
which I read, that said he already has lost it
with some of the maneuvers he has made prior to
his going up to Columbus after the game. I think
I think it was terrible that he didn't travel back
with the team. I don't care that he was at
the bar and he was with some woman and whatever happened,
it was on tape. That's bad enough, and it looked bad,
it really did. But I think the fact that you

(01:09:29):
don't travel with your team, that's your responsibility. You're the coach.
Unless obviously got a bit of death or sickness in
the family. Now he just wanted to go out there
and play. You'll have a responsibility to be with your team.
You have the coach stay with your team. And I
think that he's lost it and I won't be surprised
if he doesn't make it through the season. I really,
I really would not. He's he'll make it through the season.

(01:09:50):
I don't think he's gonna who knows, right what we've
seen from Urban Meyer, he's made stupid decision after stupid decision.
But what in terms of what getting fired before the
season is over, is that what you're saying? Yeah, I mean,
I've I've read what the ownership is not too pleased
with what happened in Columbus when he went to that
bar and he was reprimanded and the two players who

(01:10:13):
did not put their name to which I think is weak.
You've got a problem. Put your name to it. But
the anonymous players that were quoted in the New York
Post the other day was saying that, you know, he's
lost it. We lost respect for the guy. And you know,
is there a bet here? Because I don't see him.
I don't see him being fired before the season's over.
Do you want to put something on this? Yeah? What
can we do? Candy? You know you like candy, right,

(01:10:34):
you're a big candy person. Yeah, how about you name
it an five thousand dollars. I'm trying to take all
of your cash away from you. I'll tell you, I'll
give you a dollar a year, five thousand. Okay, all right,
you're on. Uh No, I don't see him being fired,
but listen, he's made stupid decision after stupid decision. I
partially agree with you with what you're saying here. They're
a winless football team and you're not traveling back with

(01:10:57):
your team. Really, like, think about us. What if the
roles were reversed. What if it was a player, you know,
there was a player that's like, hey man, it's a
short wag. I don't feel like traveling back with the team,
and it's like, we're winless, if we're unbeaten, maybe right,
maybe we'll make a few exceptions, but we gotta get
this thing on track over here. So I don't think

(01:11:18):
that Urban Meyer would be like, it's cool. I can
understand you don't want to fly back with us. So
if he would have a problem with that, then it's
not cool for him as the head coach. You make
a great point because if an athlete did it, oh
my goodness, media would go crazy, Fans would go nuts.
And I've seen that, and I've seen it here in Cincinnati.
When Ken Griffey Jr. And Barry Lawcolin played with the
Cincinnati Ridge and the season was over and they didn't

(01:11:39):
want to fly back with the team, you would have
thought that world what three happened? Really? But with Urban Maya,
maybe the fact they didn't fly back with the team
was covered up because of the the stupidness he did
in the bar. So I didn't even talk about him
not flying back. But still in all I think it's bad.
I think you gotta go with the team. It's a responsibility.
I hear you, But in my mind, it happened at

(01:12:00):
the bar where he's essentially getting a lap pants. Right,
Like that just further cements like why was he there
to begin with? Oh, that's right, he didn't flight back
with the team as the head coach. Just an idiotic look.
And it just seems like, you know, I haven't made
this a parallel, but Johnny Manziel was on the sideline

(01:12:24):
when Texas A and m upset Alabama last night, right,
And there's a lot of Johnny Manzel in Urban Meyer,
because when Johnny Manziel was in the NFL, he would
say the right thing and then do the wrong thing.
Maybe I gotta be better, I gotta be more mature,
I gotta make better decisions. Yeah, And it would sound great,

(01:12:44):
and then you go out and do something stupid. That's
what we're getting from Urban Meyer. It all sounds great.
I gotta be here, I gotta be more responsible. I
own it um, and then I'll do the next thing
that's stupid. Right, It's very similar to Johnny Manziel. It's
saying the right thing and doing the wrong thing. You
except Urbert's got a little well cashed and Johnny Managel.
Right now, I don't look at the difference is there

(01:13:05):
a differences all across the board? Look at the similarities
over You're exactly right. I mean, it's funny because I
think that what he does right now, are you gotta
like scratch your head? Do you really believe? Is he believable?
The credibility factor has gone right now? Is he truly believable?
I mean when he left Florida and then he left
another coaching position because he has his heart. I mean,

(01:13:26):
I don't believe the guy anymore because you know, if
he had the hard problem, why is he coaching again?
Just the thing Andy, it's let's let's just keep it
with one right. If you are a Jaguars player and
you're seeing all of these things where it's misstep after misstep,
it's saying, yeah, vaccination status had something to do with

(01:13:47):
the evaluation of players being on the team or off
the team, it's all of a sudden, the nfl p
A is investigating you. That was a misstep. They're weiring
the strength coach. Yes, right, Chris Doyle leaves Iowa. Uh.
There were allegations he was saying racially insensitive things. Urban
Meyer hires him. It's all good. I've vetted it out

(01:14:08):
known Chris for twenty years, Like the next day he
has to walk it back. That looks stupid. The Tim
Tebow experiment. Drafting Travis E. T N is maybe your
third down specialist after you win one game last year,
like it's misstep after misstep. And the whole point is this,
there aren't any wins, right, you can't have any of

(01:14:29):
these missteps while you're losing every game. There's just for one,
where is the credibility. Where as a player, do you
point and say, well, at least this is on point.
At least we're winning games. At least we're on track.
Like there's nothing to point to, so all the missteps
look even worse. You know, It's funny because there are

(01:14:51):
coaches that will get the pass if they win and
if they do something stupid. And that's just the way
it is. I mean, we we've seen it in the
PA asked and will continue to see in the future
because winning obviously covers up every stupid thing except maybe
go bid murder. But you know, winning winning covers up everything.

(01:15:12):
It really does. Well, yeah, it's you hear. It's the
ultimate deodorant right right now, Urban Meyer has got some
stinky pits, right he's just if he like raises his arm. Man,
he's just pitting out over here, right he doesn't have
any deodorant. There is no winning to balance out all
of the missteps, so you just can't have that. It's

(01:15:35):
it's a debacle right now over there in Jacksonville. And
we do agree that the Titans will win this game
and maybe close because I've seen some improvement week to
week with Trevor Lawrence. But you know, this team is
just not good, and I think that they've been torn
apart at the seams right now with Urban Meyer. I
really believe that. I think that's gonna hurt. And the
game is in Jacksonville. I'd like to see the response

(01:15:55):
that the fans give him, and they'll probably have that
in highlights today, I'm sure, because I don't think that
game is on TV where I could watch you we're
on that. I don't know. This is not gonna be
all over the country, being like a third of the country.
One of those deals. I don't think people are look
forward to Andy. The last couple of weeks, it's at
least been better on the field for the Jacks, like

(01:16:16):
they had a very good first half against Since and
then faded down the stretch. But I mean, Cincinnati's three
and one right now, so that's that's a field goal game.
At least you're competitive. And again we're looking at baby
steps here. Jacksonville won one game last year, so we're
looking at signs of progress. And then the week before
Arizona didn't just show up and crushed Jacksonville like they

(01:16:39):
had to come from behind to win that game. So
we're seeing signs of some life, some progress for Jacksonville.
And then urban Meyer goes out and does something stupid,
and that's all we're focusing on, you know, something stupid.
And I may be mistaking, but I think I read
this the other day that the at Gonzaga they just
spended the basketball coach for for one game because he
had a d U Y. If Gonzaga was not as

(01:17:01):
successful as they were, he probably would have been canned. Right,
That's just the way it is. You build up some
credibility with winds. Right now, Urban Maya has no credibility.
And you say that all the time, You said, I
like this thing by you talent. Trump's trouble. You see
this with players all the time. There are some players
that do some wild things make some bad decisions, but
if they're crushing it on the field, it's basically all good.

(01:17:23):
And you don't have Urban Meyer crushing it on the field.
He's been say for him being an idiot off of it,
but he's crushing it at the bar though. There he's
probably no man they firmin. This is Fox Football, something
on Fox posts ready now if this game is based
on luck, well you know what I need plenty of
it by the barrel betting, it's freaking next. Heck n

(01:17:44):
to my name about ten minutes before the top of
the Albata barrel betting right around the bed. He is Brian, No, Mandy, firmin.
This is Fox Football Sunday. We got a gate to play.
Let's play bottom. People want to sleep, People light money,
I'll put your bank. Oh yeah, here he is the
pride of Syracuse, New York, the one only Nicky Bay.

(01:18:07):
What's up, guys? So recapping last week Andy and Brian,
you both went two and three, so you time. That's
a win for me. By the way, real fast, are
you from Syracuse to Rochester? Syracuse Central New Yracuse, Okay?
Home of the Chiefs, Sir form Home of the Syracuse
Nationals Real Quick currently home of the Mets now not

(01:18:28):
the Chiefs anymore. But guys, we're gonna start off, since
it being Sunday, we're gonna go with the NFL once again.
Tray Lance getting his first career start against Arizona through
two touchdowns against Sale last week over under one half
passing touchdowns for tray Lance. Boy, it's a good line
by you, NICKI b I'll give you props on this one.

(01:18:50):
I'm gonna take the over George Kittle, but it might
be a decent running attack today, but I'm gonna take
the over. I don't think two is out had the
realm of possibility. I'm with you, I'm I'm on. I'm
on board with that going over. Okay, stay in NFL.
Let's go to Cincinnati or the Bengals, of course, take
on the Packers. Which quarterback receiver duo will have more

(01:19:12):
total yards Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams or Joe Burrow
Jamar Chase. I will go with the Bengals because I
think that Bengals will have to pass because it Joe
Mitch's injury. Even if he plays, he won't be a
hundred percent, So I'll go with the Bengals. So Homer
picked by you Packers. All right, Divisional series going to

(01:19:32):
baseball now, guys. Tampa and Boston tied the game apiece
against the Yankees and wild card game Red Sox pitcher
Nathan Evaldi. He had eight strikeouts so over under six
and a half strikeouts for Evaldi against Tampa Bay tonight
in Game three. Okay, first off, we took a hard
left from the NFL. I hope that we circle back here,

(01:19:53):
Nikki b We've got two remaining selections here, so I'm
I'm bracing for impact. If there's no NFL here, you're
gonna hear from me. But I'm gonna take the over
here with Valdi. He was tremendous against the game, but
I don't think he'll do it again. I'm going with
the under alright, So friend's going with you over and
he's going with the under. Guys are gonna stay in
the American League. After lead over the White Sox. Game

(01:20:15):
three is tonight, Chicago, guys, What the Astros sweep the series?
No way, No way? What Sox when in Chicago tonight? Yeah,
I'm gonna go with the White Sox to at least
get one win. But how about this Astros offense? What
are those bums doing cheating? By the way, right, their
offense is still really good. They Yeah, they might have
won a World Series without the cheating they negotiated against

(01:20:38):
themselves a couple of years ago. Yeah, and you're gonna
hate me for this. No one more NFL for this
last one to to NFL. Ridiculous by you, ni out
rageous by you got like one fifteen plus weeks out
freaking rageous. Here we got more baseball and football. Unbelievable. Guys,

(01:21:02):
you want the a w all eat wrestling four? Oh
my gosh see no. Former UFC Headweight Champion Junior O
Santos released by UFC in March, making his debut Layers
this week in a six man tag match. Will he
win his tag match? Just like yes? I say no, okay,
give me this again. Junior Dos Santos, former Headway champions,

(01:21:24):
gonna make his wrestling debut for for yes. Yes, they
started off with a bang here. I don't know that's
gonna do it this week? Yeah. The baseball kind of
threw me a little part football. Yeah, I mean it's
it's this is Fox football Sunday. Yeah, right, there we go.
But by the way, one NFL coach may have more
worries than today's game. Will tell you all about it

(01:21:46):
right here. How Fox Football Sunday coming up next Today
is the first day of the rest of his life.
We'll explain that in just about a minute. Here is
Brian no on the Andy Ferma. Together we have Fox
Football Sunday, and we're just about an hour and a
half away from the Jets and Falcons in London, Jolly
old London, England NFL football in about ninety minutes. Hard

(01:22:09):
to believe looking forward to it. I know it's two
garbage teams, but it doesn't matter in my book. If
it's at the NFL, it's on my TV. You know
what I'm saying. I hear you, I hear You're not alone.
By the way, the question I had though the NFL
in England is it received the same as perhaps when
a Premier League team plays here in the US of A. Well,

(01:22:32):
they love it over there. I don't know about the
soccer thing, but they love it. They go out. It's
like we had the stat earlier. The London series has
been around since two thousand seven and It's never featured
one game where both teams have a winning record. It's
never happened. And yet they go out there and it's
filled the capacity there. You know, they're geeked. They don't

(01:22:54):
even care. They're like, this is new, this is different
American football. Let's get some of this right. And I
I think they go see it because it's something different.
As you mentioned, I'm not so certain that the sportscasters
in London on the BBC on a Sunday give NFL scores.
Maybe I'm wrong. I don't know, because you can wager.
I'm sure you can wager there in London on the games.

(01:23:14):
But I don't think that they have the eleven o'clock
news and after the news have the Sports Report and
they give all the highlights of NFL. I don't think
they do. I don't know that. I have to get
on the web see some BBC over there, you know.
I don't know that we'll check that out. I want
to want to find that out. By the way, I
know one game that will be on the highlights tonight

(01:23:36):
as the Bears, that the Raiders Bears are getting five
and this one. But there's a distraction, a little distraction
with the l A Raiders, an other the Las Vegas Raiders.
Distractions that coach John Gruden some racist comments of ten
years ago surface just the other day, and we'll see
what happens, because uh, you know, this isn't good and

(01:23:57):
the fact and when we talked about like having some
uh bullets in your chamber, I'm not so certain Gruden
has a lot of them, because you need them to
save your job in this day in Asia. I don't
think he's got He's got a lot more than Urban Meyer.
I know that. And we'll see. But the lead's gonna
take them looking into and a fine perhaps is on
the horizon, maybe a suspension, who knows right, And to

(01:24:20):
get into it a little bit, just so everybody's on
the same page that's listening in with Jon Gruden. So
there was an email ten years ago that John Gruden.
He was with ESPN. He was the lead analyst from
Monday Night Football, so he wasn't a head coach at
the time. So ten years ago, John Gruden sent an
email to the president of the Washington football team, which

(01:24:41):
is Bruce Allen at the time, and he had a
racist comment. Gruden included of Demorris Smith, who was the
executive director of the Players Association, and so Gruden was
ticked off. This is lockout and he was upset. He
thought that Gene Upshaw would have handled this better for
the Players Association. He didn't think that Morris Smith was honest,

(01:25:03):
and okay, fine, I don't have any issue with Gruden
having beef with Demorris Smith and the job he was doing.
But when you add a racist line, and just so
we all know what he wrote, he said that Demorris
Smith had lips the size of Michelin tires. It's like, dude,
what the hell are you doing? And the reason this
came to surface is because of the full blown investigation

(01:25:26):
into the Washington football team. Remember they did that recently,
where they were doing this deep dive into uncovering, Hey,
what is being done inappropriately here the treatment of female employees,
and this email surfaces and now it's a story and
Gruden's apology Andy was brutal. A part of it. He said,

(01:25:47):
I never had a racial thought when I used it,
meaning that line the first thing when it first came out.
I think I read something to the fact that I
don't remember sending it right that was the first part
of it, and right, So how can both things be
accurate If you're like, I don't remember sending that and
the next thing you say is I never had a
racial thought when I used it? How do you remember

(01:26:08):
that to begin with that? That doesn't add up? And
to say if you say something racist and then say
I didn't have a racial thought, it's b s. It's
not owning it, and you're better off saying I'm sorry,
there's no excuse for this. It was deplorable behavior. It
just own it. But when you're basically oh, no, no, no,

(01:26:29):
this is an indicative of my behavior and I didn't
have a racial thought and get out of here with
all of that. I know Mark Davis is not happy
about it. You know Mark Mark Davis, the president that
Alice the late at Davis's son who runs the club
right now. He went on record he said he's not
too happy. He's not thrilled about this, although he's been
a a Gruden guy from day one, but this isn't good.

(01:26:50):
I think the relationship there is gonna earth. Then, you know,
I would tell you this much if I'm an African
American and my coach is says something like that. You know,
all of a sudden's like, know what palsy wiles you
with the car. I know where you're coming from. I
know what's in your system. I know what's in your
in your DNA. You know that's it. You lost me.
I'm sorry you lost me. I absolutely hear you. And

(01:27:12):
that's what's gonna be interesting today is how did the
Raiders look. There's been a lot of drama through the week,
and uh, there's a lot of of things that could
take your focus off of the Bears. Right if you're
spending some time thinking about what Gruden said in the
email and his weak apology, and like, man, what does

(01:27:33):
this coach think about me? And what's he's saying about
me when I'm not around it, that's a whole thing. Andy,
So how do they fare against the Bears today? Throws
a whole wrench into the equation. I got the Bears
day in this game, and it's not good. It's not healthy.
It's not a healthy situation. And really and truly, in
the world of sports, that's the last place there should

(01:27:53):
be any racism. Really think about that. Everybody's out there
doing a function for one purpose, and one purpose only
regardless of your skin color, religion, race, ethic background, whatever
it may be. You're all out there in the trenches
for one thing on one thing, only to win and
do it as a team, as a unit. Well, and
that's the thing, Andy. This is why it's a great
example of why this is such a no fly zone.

(01:28:14):
Where Gruden was basically just trying to say something negative
about Demorris Smith and what he chose to say in
that email with the Mitchell entire line, he disrespected so
many other people. He'd be better of just saying I
think that his comments way off base, and I could
send him a moron. He's a dope. I mean say

(01:28:36):
that if you want to say, which is just stupid
thing to say anything that's that's he could have said
thousands of things. But when you go to the race
card and that's dude, that's when this surfaces. There are
a lot more people than justin Morris Smith that are
taking offense to a lot. And now I know why
Mark Davis hasn't written me back. I wrote him a
letter about a week ago. Why because his daddy, Al Davis,

(01:28:59):
but he rest in p went to Erasmus High School
in Brooklyn and I thought that if Mark and Fact
lived or was grown up or was raised in Brooklyn,
I could do a story on him in the Brooklyn
Daalely Eagle. So I asked Mark in the letter, I said,
if you, if you had any time spent in Brooklyn,
I would like to chat with you to do a
story if you remember. So I haven't heard from him yet.
I'm wing to Yeah, it's been a few things. Yeah, letters,

(01:29:24):
that's a few things that Mark Davis is uh like
putting his energy toward right there. But maybe the the
Andy Ferman letter is still on his desk. Hey, we
haven't told about the Brown's charges. This is a good one,
it really both teams are three and one. Browns getting
two and a half charges impressive with the wins over

(01:29:45):
Kansas City and wins over that Vegas team. Brown's wins
against what Texans, Chicago and Minnesota. You know, if he okay,
Kareem Hunt and Nip Chubb, those are the keys for
the win today. And again, Baker Mayfield, you don't know
what you get. You really don't with this guy. You
just don't know. Yeah, well, and that's the thing is uh,

(01:30:06):
Baker Mayfield with the shoulder injury, that's an issue. Uh,
it hasn't crushed the Browns yet because they've relied on
Miles Garrett. Miles Garrett has six sacks already, he's leading
the NFL. So it's the pass rush of the Browns
and also that offensive line for Cleveland in the running game,
like they're able to beat you in a variety of

(01:30:26):
ways and not have to rely on Baker Mayfield being
special for them to win games. Um, but no Jeddrick
Wills today, right, the left tackle is out, So how
good will one How good will the protection be for
Baker Mayfield with Joey Bosa on the other side? And
then how effective will the run game be if the

(01:30:47):
run game isn't as effective? Well, there's more on Baker
Mayfield's plate. So really good matchup, one of the best
matchups of the week here. Yeah, I'd like to charge
with this game. You know the Justin the Justin Herbert
story is an amazing tale because he never was supposed
to play except for a bad decision by the team
doctor and Tara Taylor basically never got to play and

(01:31:08):
Justin Herbert came in and most of the time you
have these guys sit on the sideline and watch and
kind of by that time and watched the number one
quarterback and learned from him. Justin was thrown into the situation,
and he's he's evolved. He's he's done well. Maybe he's
done more than well. And he's really made this Charges
office a great balanced offense. I'm not saying a great offense,

(01:31:28):
but a greatly balanced offense between the run and the past. Well.
I like what they're doing for sure. And also props
to the Chargers offensive line where Justin Herbert is not
being pressured often, so they are fifth the Chargers are
in terms of uh like the pressure rate, right, he

(01:31:50):
faces faces the fifth least amount of pressure in the NFL,
if that makes any sense, right, anytime Justin Herbert drops
back to pass, he's not being pressured very often. Right,
it's twenty five point six per cent. That's the rate
that Justin Herbert is pressured on when he's dropping back.
So one out of every four passes that he's facing

(01:32:13):
a rush in his face, like three out of four
pass He's got a clean pocket, he's got room to breathe.
He's gonna make you pay if he's got that type
of time. So the rookie Rashawn Slater out of Northwestern.
He's done his thing. He has been very good for
the Browns. I'm sorry for the Chargers this year. And
we know how special Justin Herbert is. He's just a

(01:32:33):
solid quarterback man. So when you put those two together,
you give a solid quarterback time. Yeah, you're gonna win
a lot of games. Yeah, I'd like to charge this guy,
really do. I think the charges will by about ten
the game is huh yeah, yeah, I really I liked
him my life. I just I just think with the Browns,
I just one of those I can't trust backup Mayfield.

(01:32:53):
I like him, I likely even played in college. But
I think that you take away that run game, that
Chubb Hunt combination. Basically, he can't get it done. I mean,
those guys are the workhorses of that football team. Kareem Hunt,
Nick Chubb. These guys are averaging something like a hundred
seventies rushing uds of game and that's that that's the
key right there. So I think they're gonna do it alright,

(01:33:16):
ten points though, Hunt double did it win? You're taking
hoop the Browns. I made up my mind yet, you know,
just cold Yeah, right, Yeah, it'll lead off with the game.
I'm like, I don't know, coin flip, I'll lead off
with this now. I I just I don't I'll be
honest with you, Andy, I don't have a great feeling
about this game. There are some games where I'm like, oh,

(01:33:38):
I love this team all day, and uh, this one,
I really do. I think it's a toss up, and uh,
I think both teams are pretty good. They've got obvious strengths,
and whose strengths win out. I don't really know, man,
I would just stay away game from me. I just
don't have a great feeling about it. It's funny you

(01:33:58):
mentioned that because I did mention the Browns are getting
two and a half. But according to uh Topeko sports
book line several days ago, there was no line at
all in this game. So there's a lot of that,
a lot of questions on this game, many questions, and
I won't be surprised if that line changes prior to kickoff. Well,
I would imagine. I don't know this, but to me,

(01:34:19):
it seems it would probably be like Baker Mayfield, is
he gonna play? It was there uncertainty earlier in the
week because they always have points spreads. The only time
they take it off is if there's some like huge
injury um impact, and that would be the most likely source.
So maybe that's the reason why. Um. But yeah, even

(01:34:42):
though that there's a line right now we know who's
playing and all that type of stuff, I still I
don't have a great read on it. All right, don't
fool me to comeback with this game on those p
I know you you may have it up here sleep.
By the way, he is Brian No. Get him on
Twitter at the No show at Andy Firm an FSR,
And of course we do have those picks at the
into this hour. This is Fox Football Son. They and

(01:35:02):
Fox posts readio. Now this offense looks unstoppable. That's next.
Can they put it all together today? Well that's right
around the corner. It's about twenty minutes past the hour.
He is Brian No on Andy Verman and we are
Fox Football Son. They, by the way, be your good friend.
Bake sent an email, and I think it's worth discussing.

(01:35:23):
I really is. He said something Chucky wrote in an email.
We're talking about Jon Gruden. Of course, some something Chucky
wrote in an email a decade ago is not newspeople.
You know what, say that there's a lot of people
who have the same mindset is bake and they said, well,
it's old news, let it go. No, it's it's very
important because of what it's said, no matter when it's

(01:35:46):
ten years ago, with ten minutes ago, what he said,
what came out of his mouth, and of course the
position that he holds because he is working with African Americans.
They looked at him as their leader, and now they say, well,
this guy doesn't like us. Basically that's what he's saying,
and it's not good, it's not healthy. So it does
make a difference if it's a decade ago, ten minutes ago,

(01:36:07):
ten days ago. That's the best way to put it is,
do you really think a black player for the Raiders
right now? The reaction is, oh, it's ten years ago,
so it doesn't matter, Like really, that's what you think.
The reaction, that's the reaction. That's why it matters. He's
the head coach of several black players and said something

(01:36:29):
that was racist in an email ten years ago. Of course,
this is a story. Like listen, there are some media
driven stories that aren't really stories. This is not an
example of that. This is a real story. And you
know we love you to death. You're a prime listener
and a supporter, and you email us and you tweet
us all the time, but you're wrong on this one.

(01:36:50):
You took a U turn on this one. And it's
and I think about it, really, if you're an African American,
you don't have to be an African American. If someone
says something about you, you're religion or whatever it might be,
you're so you don't like the guy, you don't like
him anymore. Yeah, I guess that that'd be the way
to really, you know, have it, Um, bring it. I

(01:37:11):
don't know how to say it like that, for it
really think in right like, think of of you right like, um,
whatever your religious beliefs, um, you're whatever, sexual orientation, what
have you. If there was an email from ten years
ago and that person had said something that was really disrespectful,

(01:37:32):
do you think your reaction is that happened ten years ago?
I'm absolutely not. Yeah, Well, why would you say that
about me? That's the thing. Why would you gotta bring
it on home? Bring it to yourself, relate to it
as one would relate to it. You know, obviously you
and I can't because we're not African American. But the
point there's this it could be like you see, sexually, religion,
anything else. Well I think about that of um remember

(01:37:56):
with Myers Leonard, the NBA player, where it was the
anti semitic word that he used when he was playing
video games online, and like, imagine that. Imagine if there's
an email from ten years ago and there's something anti semitic,
or there's whatever it could be anti fill in the blank,
and if it's something that really hits home with you

(01:38:17):
and impacts the group that you're in. I don't imagine
your reaction is I was a decade he didn't when
he was playing for Miami and the NBA and the
owner of the Miami club happens to be Jewish, you know,
which is kind of a foolish thing to say, But
you know when you say it in the heat of
the battle, just saying it, you know, it's beliefs that
you could have within and you let him out. Now

(01:38:38):
we know how you really feel. That's basically it. Yeah,
and the bad apology on top of it for Jon
Gruden just made it worse. So yeah, that's absolutely no
what That's what I never said that, remember, okay, I
didn't know what you were saying there. Yeah, he said,
I don't remember sending the email. And then all of

(01:38:58):
a sudden he developed a memory and said, oh, I
didn't have any racist intent when I wrote that line.
All of a sudden he remembers again it was just
clunky and bad all the way around. So long story short, Yes,
this is an actual story. This isn't something that we're
just making out of nothing. It was clunky for chunky.
That's basically what it was. By the way, Giants Cowboys.
Giants are getting seven of this with Daniel Jones talking

(01:39:19):
about improving, he's improving a little bit for un two
yards last week, two touchdowns in that OT win over
New Orleans. But I tell you what I said that
this team, their office looks almost unstoppable. I'm talking about Dallas.
They got a Mari Cooper, I got Ceedee Lamb. They
got five targets that have quite touchdowns this year, Zekiel Elliot,
they got Tony Pollet, they got it all. They got
everything going for him. So I think Cowboys went big.

(01:39:42):
Although I'm worried about this game. I was watching the
Thursday night game and they had Michael Strahan on a
halftime he picked the Giants in this game, So I'm
a little nervous now. Could be a Homer pick to you,
sound like Jon Gruden speaking out of both sides of
your mouth. The Cowboys are winning this game, They're dusting
the Giants, and then be because of stray hands prediction.
Now you're worried that why he knows a lot more

(01:40:06):
than I do. Maybe he's on the inside, But I
still like the Cowboys, big. I really you you every
now and then you How about this? This is the
the Dak Prescott reunion from last year. How crazy it
was Week five last year when Dak Prescott suffered that injury,
and now it's a week five this year and Dak

(01:40:27):
Prescott comes all the way back from that compound ankle
injury and he's playing great football. You gotta give him
his dude, Dak Prescott looks great. So and like you said,
Danny Dimes playing a lot better football. He's not turning
the ball over, and especially with the injury issues, they've
had a couple of receivers Darius Layton, Sterling Shepard, they
were out last week and still Danny Dimes did his thing.

(01:40:50):
So when he's not searing the football over, he's showing
this year that he's capable of playing effective football. And
you're gonna be happy for j J. Jerry Jones. He's
happy now they're winning. Everything is kunky dory in Dallas, Right, Yeah,
I don't know about that. But in terms of the
Cowboys offense, like you're saying they are, they're tough to
slow down. And I think the one to punch you

(01:41:12):
alluded to this with Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Tony Pollard.
Now this is a media generated thing where it's well,
Tony Pollard is showing that he might be more valuable
than Zekiel Elliott, all of that stuff. This is the deal.
It's not Zeke versus Tony Pollard. It's Zeke and Tony

(01:41:32):
Pollard versus the competition. That that's a really good one
to punch. Like, for instance, Andy, she takes the Browns
exactly who takes Kareem hunting Nick Chubb and says, oh, well,
look at what Kareem hunt is doing. He's actually outproducing
Nick chubbing. What does that? They look at it as
a one two punch. It's the same thing in Dallas.

(01:41:54):
Speaking of one to punch. This is this is the
game of games. I mean you taked about great college games?
He has today. The weekend will end tonight with the
Bills Chiefs. What a great game this on paper? At
least Bills are getting two and a half. I still
don't know how the Bills lost to the Steelers an
opening day at three and one, But I I don't
get that one. But the Bills see the NFL and
fewest points and you odds allowed per game and turnovers

(01:42:17):
forced per game. The Bills have beaten up that the
beaten up on their backups. Jacoby Presider, that Dolphins they
beat up on him. They beat up on Taylor Hanike
of Washington, they beat up on Davis Mills of the Texas.
Today they don't have a backup. They they got Patrick Mahomes,
so I worry about them, and I got kids of city.
I just think Kansas a better team. The Bills got
the stuff Tyreek killing Travis Kelsey. I don't think they

(01:42:37):
can remember that from Sesame Street. One of these things
is not like the other. Just look at the quarterbacks
that the Bills have faced to this point. That's a
great way to to look at it. Andy how you
were saying it, So you just go rapid fire style.
These are the quarterbacks that the Bills have faced. Big
Ben all right, he has greatly regressed. Jacoby Brissette because

(01:43:00):
to have got knocked out in the first minute, and
so you're not only facing a backup, you're facing a
backup that's like, oh shoot, where's my helmet? I gotta
get into the game right now. There was an injury
that happened during that game. You didn't have a full
week of reps and preparations. So Taylor heine Key, who's
he's okay, right, he's all right, but nothing to that's

(01:43:21):
just extraordinary. And then Davis Mills and now today you
face Patrick Mahomes. That is a significant uptick in competition
right there. For the Bills think yeah, like that, good lord,
we all know how great Mahomes is. But especially with
the quarterbacks you faced to this point, it's night and day,

(01:43:41):
right And in other words, to complete the story, what
they should do is have Mr Trabinsky play quarterback to day,
fat Buffalo. It's Patrick Mahomes. To even think like you, no, no, no, no,
you're looking at it the wrong way. You gotta have
the Chiefs backup in there. That's what they would have
to do. You have to have a chief kind of
like you know, you get get a come bull of
Brownie points doing that. But but honestly, I think that

(01:44:03):
Kansas City wins. I don't think they win big, but
I think they're gonna win. But I think it'll be
a high scoring game. I really do. Yeah, well, it
very well could be. And that's the thing is the
great Trevia question is that can you name the Chiefs
backup quarterback? And I had to look at the depth
chart and I'm like, oh, yeah, it's it's Chad Henny.
Remember Chad Henny filling in for Mahomes who was banged

(01:44:25):
up against the Browns and the playoffs last year. Um.
But yeah, there's a reason why it's not top of
mind because Mahomes is still one of the best. He
did have a couple of costly interceptions in those two
straight losses Andy, so we'll see. It's not like, you know,
he's coming back to the middle of the pack or something.
But for Mahomes, he hasn't been Mahomes like this whole season.

(01:44:46):
Just he'll be He'll be all right. And today we
have another story in this game of story within the game.
Josh Gordon that spect to make his Chiefs debut. He
hasn't played in the NFL games this December, of man,
and that's the thing you talk about. Look at the
not only second chances Josh Gordon has gotten. And listen,
I hope he has his life in order with substance abuses,

(01:45:09):
no laughing matter, but I mean, like his career could
have easily been over Andy numerous times, and he's come
back like he came back with Brady and the Patriots,
came back with Russell Wilson and the Seahawks. Now he's
with Mahomes and the Chiefs. Like good lord, this dude
has gotten some great second, third, and fourth chances, and

(01:45:30):
I hope he makes the most out of this one. Yeah,
I do too. And it'll be interesting to see if
he even gets any activity tonight. But I think he will.
I think he'll play tonight, so we'll see that. I
think the Chiefs win this game, as they say, by
about four or five points. He'll be close to be good,
be high score and be exciting and I can't wait
to see it. But right now, it's Brian, No, it's
Andy fermant is at the No Show. It's Andy Ferman
FSA Fox Football Sunday on Fox Posts Radio. The pieces

(01:45:53):
are coming together. That's next. But first to a real, real,
real piece of work. Brian Family with Alright, So, speaking
of guys getting activity, Jets rookie wide receiver Elijah More
is active for this game in London that's coming up
in less than an hour. Guys between the Jets and

(01:46:15):
the Falcons. More, of course coming off a concussion. Other
notes from the NFL as we get ready for a
busy slate of games. Doctors are set to make the
call within two weeks on the status of Packers defensive
back Jaire Alexander, who's dealing with that sprained a C joint.
He could miss several weeks or potentially have season ending surgery.

(01:46:37):
ESPN is reporting Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has a real
shot to return off that injury to his middle finger
on his throwing hand in four weeks, as opposed to
a lengthier timeline which was earlier reported from four to
eight weeks. Bengals running back Joe Mixon is going to
play despite that ankle injury. Ezekiel Elliott Amari Cooper, Randy

(01:46:58):
Gregory all for the Cowboy. They are all going to
go against the Giants. Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is projected
to come back from a concussion. Lions stars in DeAndre Swift,
Pina school t J. Hockenson all coming back from ailments.
As far, it's just a couple of little nuggets from
college football from Saturday. Number one Alabama face plants against Texas,

(01:47:22):
staying and forty one to thirty nine the final score.
The Aggies made that game winning last second field goal.
Number nine Michigan had a game winning last minute field
goal in a takedown against Nebraska thirty two to Sixteenth
ranked Kentucky continues to win six and over the first
time since nineteen fifty after they step on l s
U forty two to one. Third ranked Diala takes a

(01:47:45):
fly swatter out on number four Penn State twenty three
to twenty. Number two Georgia victorious over eighteenth ranked Abburn
thirty four to ten. Tyson Fury in the ring defending
the WBC heavyweight title after he diminishes Deonte Wilder t
k O style in the eleventh round. And as far
as Major League Baseball Divisional Round action from yesterday. The

(01:48:09):
Dodgers get back on level ground with the Giants at
one game a piece after l A Filet San Fran
nine to two, l a picture Julio Urius when five innings,
one and run, five strikeouts, and then the Braves blank
the Brewers three zip. As that series is not now
equal at one game apiece, and as I send it

(01:48:30):
back to Brian No and Andy Furman. For some reason,
I couldn't find your Cincinnati Reds in the playoffs. Perhaps
that's a slight oversight on my part. Maybe I'm just
not David Bell the manager exactly. Maybe they need you
in the lineup that that will really deer and things
a great day. Enjoy the games, you know, we love you,
Love you too, Dad. Alright, see you later. Okay, they're

(01:48:51):
the worst team to leave. We'll get to that in
just about a minute. He's Brian nom Andy Fermanan. This
is Fox Football Sunday. You know, I'm listening to the
scores that my boy Brian know about. Brian and family
is giving an Uh. He didn't mention this game is
an interesting story because he talked about Kentucky having the
best record they've had undefeated since nineteen fifty. What about
wake Forest? Do you see the end that at wake
Forest Syracuse game yesterday? Wake Forest is six and oh

(01:49:13):
for the first time since nineteen forty four, and wake
Forest might be the best team in the A c C. Wow,
that's a crazy stat right there, six and oh the
first time since forty four. I think about that. Think
how many times I mean Alabama has been six and
oh since nineteen forty four, right, like, just starting off,

(01:49:36):
think how many tis that's a better way to look
at it. Think how many teams and how many times
they've been six and oh since nineteen It's crazy, it
really is. And they'd beat Syracuse like at the gun yesterday.
It was amazing, he was you know, wait, you don't
think of wake Forest really almost in any sport do
you think about it? I mean, basketball, middle of the pack,

(01:49:58):
perhaps football not really, But then you know, we don't
have to do a deep dive into the Deacons athletics
over here. But I guess with uh, with college football,
there are so many undefeated teams. It's just a matter
of if you can just keep winning games, these other
teams are gonna lose, right and you might be able

(01:50:19):
to sneak into the playoff with as much chaos as
we've seen thus far. So of all these undefeated teams,
I mean, maybe one or two run the table that
you weren't expecting them to do before the season, and
they might be enough, might be enough to sneak into
the playoff. All right, they're listening to Cincinnati, and I
think he may be talking about you. You know, hey,

(01:50:40):
we didn't. I missed this one. I don't know why.
But forty nine is at the Arizona Cardinals. Forty niners
getting five and a half. Who saw this coming at
two and two forty Niners? But more than that, the
four no Arizona Cardinals Carlos has some decent wins. Maybe
they did beat Tennessee, they beat Minnesota, give a little bit.
The Jackson was terrible. They'd be the Rams. But their

(01:51:01):
offense is super Kyler Murray uh conversation for the m
v P at least of the quarter Powle seventies completion average.
But the Cardinals have struggled in the run game. But
I do like the Cards in this game, and I
think the Cards will win this game. Well, to me, Andy,
what's interesting is um. It's sometimes dangerous to play the
if game, but I think there is some value in it.

(01:51:24):
Meaning this way, if the Arizona Cardinals had lost to Minnesota,
which should have happened, right, Greg Joseph just needed to
make a thirty seven yard field goal. So if that happens, okay,
Arizona is three and one, and we look at them
a little bit differently, right. And then also the if
factor with the forty niners. If against green Bay they

(01:51:48):
just run that play clock down a little bit more, right,
they had three time out still twelve seconds left on
the play. Yeah, and they scored a touchdown, but they
left a little too much time for Aaron Rodgers and
they lose that game. If these two teams are both
three and one, I think you're looking at this game

(01:52:08):
a little bit differently. Heading in Agreed, Agreed, You're right, uh,
And I think the advantage being so the fact that
the game is in fact in Glendale, that's a plus.
But their offense is tremendous. It really isn't. Colin Murray,
as I mentioned right now, after the quarter pool plus
of the season done, you know he's gotta be right
up there is m v P Kennedy as as Dak

(01:52:29):
Prescott two. Yeah, and I also want to see the
last two weeks, right, think about the Rams. That's who
Arizona beat up on last week. Arizona looked great, but
think about the Rams. So the Rams laid an egg
last week against the Cardinals. The previous week they smacked
around Tampa. Right. So the point is the Rams weren't

(01:52:53):
able to maintain that consistency for two straight weeks. So
I'm curious with Arizona. That was their best win easily
of the season, smacking around the Rams last week. So
can they remain consistent and do what the Rams were
unable to do? Right? Be consistent for two straight games,
and with Tray Lance getting his first start, that's a

(01:53:15):
capable team. I don't buy all of the talk, especially
before the season, of whenever Trey Lance takes over, he'll
be able to unlock Kyle Shanahan's full playbook. It's like
that as a rookie man, not him growing pains. He
might eventually get there, but I don't think he's gonna
hit the ground running and just unlock the full Arsenal
over here. No, no George Kittle. That doesn't help either. Right,

(01:53:39):
I'm with you, But it's a big day for tray
Tray Lance gets to start and now you knew it
would be sooner rather than later. But the Jimmy G's
hurt and uh, we'll see what trail because I think
that the interesting factor in this game obviously is what
could they do with the founding on his defense? Uh,
basically he's hurting, and I think that the Cardinals basically
have their way with them and the experience of trade

(01:54:00):
lances and helping to forty Niner offense. Either well, hey,
it's a huge game for the forty Niners for a
number of reasons. Right, if you lose, you've dropped to
two and three, and the Niners have a bye week
after this game against the Cardinals today, So you could
go to the bye week either two and three and
losing two straight games in the division. Right, they lost

(01:54:22):
to Seattle last week, the Niners did, so you could
drop two straight divisional games and have a losing record
heading into the bye week, or you go in and
I mean they're capable of beating Arizona certainly, and all
of a sudden, you've got to win in the division.
You've got a winning record you go to the bye week.
It's completely different situation for the forty niners, so I

(01:54:44):
think it's a much bigger game for them. I agree
with you there, and we have a Monday night game.
We have the Ravens hosting the Cults, Culture one in three,
Ravens three and one, Culture getting six and a half.
Now the cold Speaking of Dolphins last week seventeen and
Jonathan Taylor was a pretty good forcel that game, had
a touchdown in a hundred three yards and Carson Wentz.
We made fun of him going into the game on

(01:55:06):
those two bad ankles. He played rather well on two
bad ankles. He was thirty two and two touchdowns. And
the Ravens pour on third downs were the worst in
the league converting third and long. But the Ravens have
been putting the pieces together, and we talked about so
many injuries prior to the season. They're all right, They're
okay the Ravens there, they're still rolling along and I
still think they'll roll tomorrow night and they'll roll over

(01:55:27):
the Colts. I disagree with you. I think the Ravens
might win, but I think it's a close game. If
you look at Indies defense, I know they're facing Jacoby Brissette.
I get that, but they held the Dolphins to two
hundred and three total yards two oh three in an
NFL game, Like that's some lockdown defense. And we know
that Lamar Jackson is a playmaker. But I think the

(01:55:49):
Colts can keep this game close. We know the Ravens
defense isn't all world right. They they've got some injuries
back there, losing Marcus Peters it's a big deal. So
I think that the Colts are capable of at least
making this a fourth quarter game and keeping it close.
So I would take them plus the points, maybe a
sneak peek. You've gotta be a little surprised at what

(01:56:11):
they've done by losing Edwards and Dobbins and running back
and they got Freeman, they got Murray and to replace them,
and still in all, this team is pretty much of
a force on offense, and I guess that's Lamar Jackson's doing.
But still, when they had those big losses at the
running back position, everybody thought they were dead and buried,
and that was silly. That made no sense whatsoever, because
I mean, they're just gonna plug in the next dude,

(01:56:32):
and they've got a whole system, They've got a whole
philosophy with running the football. They are committed to running
the football, and of course we know what Lamar Jackson
does adding to that running attack. So to make J. K.
Dobbins out to be like, I don't know, Jim Brown
and Earl Campbell combined, that made no sense whatsoever. And
it was odd when they were just losing guys left

(01:56:53):
and right, Gus Edwards and the next guy goes down,
and it was just a crazy story. But that was
copletely blown out of proportion, like, oh gosh, they're running games.
It's like, dude, they're gonna pick up Latavius Murray and
he's gonna do his thing. That's exactly what's happening, right,
And Lamar jacks is still a leading rusher on the team.
There we go, all right, I like the Ravens. Anyway,
Tomorrow night, he's Brian Noha'm Andy Firman. This is Fox

(01:57:15):
Football Sunday, and this man one the internet. Wait, will
you hear what he said? That's next? Those picks coming
right out. We got about eleven minutes before the top
of the hour. Top of the hour. That will be
nine o'clock on the East coast, and that also means
Mike Harmer and Bucky Brooks. You get them on the
I Heart Apps, Serious XM Channel Lady three and of
course many of these same Fox Bus radio affiliates Harmon

(01:57:37):
and Brooks Top of the hour. Right now, it's time
for my guy, Brian no and those picks. Are you
in desperate need of gambling insights? Do not fear for
Brian no Is here, here we go, here we go,

(01:57:58):
and now the time has come for oh Andy Firm.
And here's the deal. This guy Bows zero four zero
five on Twitter right like he normally is a very
nice guy. He supports us and uh he tweets us
and all of that. Well, he's been trolling me in
my picks for some time now, and I really wanted

(01:58:19):
to stick it to Bows oh four oh five because
he like rolled his eyes. It's oh gosh, Brian's probaly
gonna have some losing picks this week. And so I
really rooted for my picks last week, and I went winless.
I didn't win one game, not one. I went account.
I went all in with Tampa Bay because I thought
Tom Brady was gonna stick it to his former team,

(01:58:41):
and that didn't happen. So that was my undoing right there.
But this is a new week, baby, new week, so
let's uh, let's get it going here. I'm taking the
Atlanta Falcons. You might not like this pick at all,
but I'm taking Atlanta minus two and a half. Ninety
three defensive plays for the Jets last week, and then
they take the long trip to London. So give me

(01:59:04):
the Atlanta Falcons minus two and a half. What do
you think about that, Paffy, But you know, a long
trip and it's not like they're roaming a boat to
get there, you know what I'm saying. It's first class continental,
big time jet, So I don't know if it makes
that much of it. You sleep and eat and drink
on there, and you can do you do whatever you want.
But I just think the Falcons are a better team anyway. Yeah, well, hey,

(01:59:24):
I hope that works out here, right like, And we
know Zach Wilson has been a turnover machine, so maybe
that plays. I'm gonna disagree with you. I think Indianapolis
keeps it close on Monday. I'm gonna take him plus seven.
They played great defense last week against Miami I think
they can at least score enough against the Ravens defense.
That isn't the eight five bears. I'm gonna take the

(01:59:45):
Colts plus seven. Well, I'm gonna give you a six
and a half, but you've taken seven. That's okay, fine,
it's fluctuated like that. Yeah, okay, all right, is it not?
You want to? Alright? Alright, seven right now, number numbers.
I'm gonna keep it consistent. Over here, Danny Dimes has
been playing better football. It's the divisional game. I'm gonna

(02:00:08):
take the g men. I'm taking the Giants plus seven.
I know they've got some injury concerns. Slightly worried about that.
Chris doesn't like the bet. He's throwing drops out here.
I'm taking the plus seven plus. I'm not saying out
right when I'm saying plus seven seven? Alright, what do

(02:00:29):
you think? And what I like? I like the Giants,
I like the Falcons, the Colts on yeah, okay, all right,
let's see how it turns out. But it's time to
go your own way, buddy, go my own way. I
get this. I'm in a street put Louisiana. He didn't
win the big power ball Jack but the other day.
But he may have won the internet how with his

(02:00:49):
dreams of how he would spend his when he's if
he won. Now, the man was at the fight only
is James. He was being either of you by Corey
Johnson of k s L A TV, a CBS affiliate,
and street port when he admitted what he'd do if
he had won nearly the seven hundred million dollar prize.
Just quote, well, I'm definitely going to get a new
super charge Mustang with duel exhaust and about five kilos

(02:01:11):
a cocaine and I'll be good to go. This is
what he said. Now that was not the is is
that Johnson expected, But as the reporter, she handled the
things like a pro. She changed the subject. See like car,
She said, how do you like that? Then they went
back to the studio. Okay, I'm taking in Nashville here
real quick. There's a Tennessee entrepreneur by the name of
Guy Williams. He's got a hot tub on wheels, right,

(02:01:34):
so it's an attraction over here and take people through
downtown Nashville. And well he's been uh, he's been told
to not do that right now. So there is a
lawsuit against the guy. He doesn't have a pool permit basically, right,
So the Nashville Metropolitan Government they asked to judge to

(02:01:55):
temporarily shut this guy down with his mobile tub. Now,
Guy William, this is a great part. He's like, well,
it's actually fifty gallon shy of the minimum capacity for
a public pool. And the lawsuit says that that that
it's not a thing. That's not a thing here, so
they might shut him down. He's temporarily shut down. More

(02:02:15):
to come next week there we're going and speaking about that.
Will follow up next week. We'll see what's going on.
Have a great day, Fox,
